[0:33] Speaker 1: your hair today. It looks like you did you get
[0:34] Speaker 1: done recently.
[0:35] Speaker 3: I just did it myself this morning.
[0:37] Speaker 1: So that's good.
[0:37] Speaker 2: I don't like the hair, I like it clearly, No, it's.
[0:40] Speaker 3: A bit free. Snap, Jack, What do you like about
[0:42] Speaker 3: Jack at the moment.
[0:44] Speaker 2: I love Jack's consistency can close.
[0:48] Speaker 1: I like Jack's attitude this morning.
[0:51] Speaker 2: I love the way I like.
[0:52] Speaker 5: I like how Trish you act like you think you
[0:55] Speaker 5: know everything. I love how I.
[0:57] Speaker 3: Don't even pretend to do that, because I'd be an
[0:59] Speaker 3: idiot if.
[0:59] Speaker 5: I thinks he's the smartest man in every room. And
[1:01] Speaker 5: I love how Matthew has no respect for the clock
[1:05] Speaker 5: that sits on his left wrist.
[1:07] Speaker 3: Well, that is just what I'm going to agree with.
[1:09] Speaker 2: That nothing there.
[1:11] Speaker 1: He's not wearing a clock nails. I love how Jack
[1:14] Speaker 1: thinks he's the hardest working man in every room, like.
[1:18] Speaker 3: One that does everything. Would you expect him to give
[1:20] Speaker 3: you a flick?
[1:20] Speaker 1: I heard a noise. I thought he's going to hit
[1:22] Speaker 1: me in the back of the head.
[1:24] Speaker 2: People in glass houses. I'll do breakfast radio.
[1:27] Speaker 3: You know, Yeah, But I never I never said in
[1:29] Speaker 3: a ridiculing manner.
[1:30] Speaker 1: So yeah, I do it as a joke. And I'll
[1:33] Speaker 1: say this all right, and I'm gonna I'm going to
[1:35] Speaker 1: have a go both. No, no, I'm going to have
[1:37] Speaker 1: a boat both of you. And we've said this before.
[1:40] Speaker 1: You and you and Jack are the only ones that
[1:43] Speaker 1: get aggressive when talking about your workload, the only two. Trish,
[1:48] Speaker 1: you never hear her bat around all that all that
[1:51] Speaker 1: accounting she's doing upstairs, do you, Trish?
[1:53] Speaker 2: And the rest and the sprays hands, that's all.
[1:57] Speaker 1: The dinners she promises to cook and then never does.
[2:00] Speaker 3: Excuse me, half serves it's ten forty two in the morning.
[2:03] Speaker 3: I've going to be out of here by eleven thirty.
[2:06] Speaker 3: And can I just say I've straightened my own hair. Wow,
[2:10] Speaker 3: I've already prepared dinner. It's up in the very ready
[2:13] Speaker 3: to put me.
[2:13] Speaker 1: Jump in one sect. When you say you straightened your
[2:16] Speaker 1: own hair, like, that's like who else is going to
[2:18] Speaker 1: straighten it for you?
[2:19] Speaker 3: But this is all done before nine am. Actually, I've
[2:21] Speaker 3: had a meeting, no way, done a bit of ironing,
[2:24] Speaker 3: and for the rest of it's there for you to finish.
[2:26] Speaker 1: It's a wall, all right. Let me add to this
[2:28] Speaker 1: ironing chat that that bucket of clothes that you've had
[2:31] Speaker 1: to iron. Do you know how long that's been sitting there?
[2:33] Speaker 1: For three weeks?
[2:36] Speaker 3: True to iron?
[2:38] Speaker 2: This is there so long that don't fit me anymore?
[2:41] Speaker 3: This is my thing, none of yours in there that
[2:42] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[2:43] Speaker 1: It's just my thing. Yes, they're mine, But whose job
[2:46] Speaker 1: is it? To iron?
[2:48] Speaker 2: Everyone has got their roles through.
[2:49] Speaker 3: Should we start Cooper with the fact that, whilst I
[2:54] Speaker 3: was out bourney and high pressure cleaning, yesday by choice
[2:58] Speaker 3: Cooper actually years. Cooper walks out with a garment on
[3:05] Speaker 3: a hangar instructs me with his sign language because it's
[3:10] Speaker 3: so loud to turn it off and stop work. I'm like, oh,
[3:14] Speaker 3: there is something he needs to talk to me about.
[3:17] Speaker 3: And he goes, I've told you to stop washing in
[3:22] Speaker 3: hot water.
[3:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's the Ac Milanch shirt. I haven't ruined it.
[3:27] Speaker 1: I have an Ac Milan Jerseys one. It's one of
[3:30] Speaker 1: my favorite jerseys.
[3:30] Speaker 3: I'll get you another one.
[3:31] Speaker 1: And let me finish. Let me finish you high pressure
[3:36] Speaker 1: washing water. Woman who never she washed washed it in
[3:42] Speaker 1: high temperature. Now I've told her before. And Jack, you
[3:45] Speaker 1: need to help me out here as well. And see
[3:47] Speaker 1: you on your phone back there, you get off it.
[3:48] Speaker 5: I'm working.
[3:51] Speaker 1: Like I said to you before, stay present. She washes
[3:54] Speaker 1: in hot water and it messes up so many of
[3:57] Speaker 1: the clothes, and I just want Jack's opinion before you jumping.
[4:00] Speaker 3: Of course, we've switched washes because ours was a bit
[4:02] Speaker 3: dodgy Matt and Jack's. We swapped out ours for Jack's.
[4:08] Speaker 3: Now what happened. I just said, I want automatically is
[4:10] Speaker 3: on forty degrees. I've got to go down.
[4:12] Speaker 2: Let this be at his house.
[4:14] Speaker 1: I just said I wanted Jack's opinion before you jumped in.
[4:16] Speaker 1: Then you said, okay, gave your whole spiel, Jack, your
[4:19] Speaker 1: opinion hot.
[4:21] Speaker 5: Specifically on what do you want my opinion? Gooper?
[4:23] Speaker 1: The washing in hot water.
[4:25] Speaker 5: Yeah, it's well, you've preached it for years, Trish, and
[4:28] Speaker 5: I've never was to always washing cold water cold. That's right, Yeah,
[4:33] Speaker 5: you've always said that.
[4:34] Speaker 1: So why are you washing warm then?
[4:36] Speaker 3: Because Buddy, I just said it. Jack's machine actually automatically
[4:40] Speaker 3: goes to forty degrees. My other one didn't. You have
[4:42] Speaker 3: to adjust it contemporature.
[4:43] Speaker 1: So you're saying.
[4:44] Speaker 3: Obviously forgotten or I didn't go down far enough.
[4:46] Speaker 1: But you've been doing this isn't the first instance.
[4:51] Speaker 2: And the size of the portions.
[4:52] Speaker 4: Last night with dinner, I don't one of the movies,
[4:55] Speaker 4: eaten two popcorns and woke up in the night and
[4:57] Speaker 4: had a Nattella pizza.
[4:58] Speaker 2: Tirsh what are you doing?
[5:00] Speaker 3: Talk about that as well? That has this thing where
[5:02] Speaker 3: he gets out of bed in the middle of the
[5:04] Speaker 3: night or early morning and just eats. And this morning
[5:08] Speaker 3: I woke up, I went, oh my god, are you bleeding.
[5:10] Speaker 3: I thought there was blood. I thought it was a
[5:11] Speaker 3: crime scene in our bed and looked at him and
[5:17] Speaker 3: then he went, I haven't got a cart or anything,
[5:21] Speaker 3: and then I go out to the kitchen. You boys
[5:23] Speaker 3: had ordered it in some sort of Natella pizza strawberries
[5:26] Speaker 3: on it.
[5:26] Speaker 1: I ordered Italian and the Teller pizza of dessert Jack.
[5:29] Speaker 1: Because this is on top of Trish cooked dinner for everyone,
[5:32] Speaker 1: which was a dinner for a dinner for toddlers. That said,
[5:36] Speaker 1: my plate, Laura wasn't even a third full, even starving
[5:41] Speaker 1: kids wouldn't have wouldn't have been full.
[5:43] Speaker 2: After that, even the Laura Keats were laughing at us.
[5:45] Speaker 1: I tried to Patricia, I tried to be grateful. I
[5:48] Speaker 1: tried to be grateful to and I had We had
[5:50] Speaker 1: the rais Men for dinner too.
[5:51] Speaker 3: Well, and no one told me about that. So that
[5:54] Speaker 3: was one.
[5:54] Speaker 4: I walked Ram to the door and I apologized to him,
[5:56] Speaker 4: and he wouldn't even accept it.
[5:59] Speaker 1: I saw the worst part about in the middle of
[6:01] Speaker 1: the night, because Rasman can't get in the house, I
[6:04] Speaker 1: saw him going through the landfill bins out the front
[6:06] Speaker 1: trying to get scraps of banana peals to eat because
[6:09] Speaker 1: he was so hungry.
[6:10] Speaker 3: Oh you kill me. Anyway, I worked out that Matt
[6:14] Speaker 3: had eaten Na Tella pizza and apparently in bed.
[6:19] Speaker 1: Yeah, wese, you brought it into bed there your pig mad.
[6:23] Speaker 1: That is pretty bad.
[6:24] Speaker 3: Do you know what he does as well? He's got
[6:26] Speaker 3: this thing where early in the morning he'll get up
[6:29] Speaker 3: cut oranges and eat a quarter of an orange or
[6:32] Speaker 3: half an orange and leave the other half of the
[6:34] Speaker 3: orange there that has to just be thrown out in
[6:35] Speaker 3: the morning, which is so wasteful. You're gonna eat it, eat.
[6:38] Speaker 2: It all, bro Okay, yeah, b yeah, bro. Yeah.
[6:43] Speaker 4: Some of the things we're going to do that we're
[6:45] Speaker 4: gonna We're gonna prove your movie today. Trisha and I
[6:47] Speaker 4: went to the movies last night.
[6:48] Speaker 2: It's a movie people will get to.
[6:51] Speaker 1: You've got to see and you'll read you.
[6:54] Speaker 2: Yeah, I watched it.
[6:55] Speaker 1: It's hard to preview you know it for other people. Yeah.
[7:00] Speaker 1: We do have an intro question as well. While we're
[7:02] Speaker 1: on food, which food do you find most offensive? Trust
[7:06] Speaker 1: is your idea?
[7:07] Speaker 3: It is because I know there are people friends of
[7:11] Speaker 3: mine who cannot bear to look, smell, or have anything
[7:15] Speaker 3: with coriander in it, And I'm like, why, I love coriander.
[7:18] Speaker 3: It's so fresh.
[7:19] Speaker 1: I have no opinion on coriander, but both.
[7:22] Speaker 3: Of the people that hate it accidentally hate it thinking
[7:26] Speaker 3: it was parsley. So it's some sort of PTSD.
[7:29] Speaker 5: For that, there's a genetic disorder. It's actually like there's
[7:32] Speaker 5: a genetic thing with coriander, coriander where some people it's
[7:36] Speaker 5: a certain gene where some people believe, no, they don't
[7:39] Speaker 5: believe they when they taste coriander, they taste like soap,
[7:43] Speaker 5: a soapy taste. Yeah, yeah, it's a serious like that's
[7:47] Speaker 5: a shame I've heard about heaves. There's there actually is
[7:49] Speaker 5: a genetic condition.
[7:50] Speaker 2: What is it?
[7:51] Speaker 1: Like a phobia?
[7:52] Speaker 5: Like there's a high percentage of people in the world
[7:54] Speaker 5: that have it.
[7:54] Speaker 3: Like a lot of it, and they hate it.
[7:57] Speaker 2: They hate it.
[7:58] Speaker 1: Supposed it comes from a high purpose.
[8:00] Speaker 3: You know, how does that work anyway? And look at Matt,
[8:03] Speaker 3: He's got lots of food phobias, and I don't I
[8:06] Speaker 3: think I reckon. The only one I have is warm avocado.
[8:09] Speaker 3: I don't like warm avocado, love avocado on that trow
[8:12] Speaker 3: room temperature cannot bear it if it's warm or cooked.
[8:17] Speaker 4: But the coreana thing, again, I just think those people
[8:21] Speaker 4: who mistake in it.
[8:22] Speaker 2: For what was.
[8:25] Speaker 3: You don't realize they look the same.
[8:26] Speaker 2: Breath name and change because they're obviously idiots. Let's is
[8:30] Speaker 2: it no one?
[8:32] Speaker 3: You know?
[8:32] Speaker 2: Two of your friends?
[8:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a few, Yeah, none of your business coment?
[8:36] Speaker 3: What about?
[8:37] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[8:38] Speaker 5: Here it is here. Koreaner genetics explained why some people
[8:41] Speaker 5: find the herb tastes soapy rather than herbie due to
[8:44] Speaker 5: a variant in the o r Q six a two
[8:47] Speaker 5: gene which codes from a certain sensitivity receptor which detects
[8:53] Speaker 5: a chemical that's actually found in coriander differently from personal person.
[8:57] Speaker 2: Took the words right out of my mouth.
[8:59] Speaker 1: That was dad trying.
[9:01] Speaker 4: Yeah, if you'd let me get to it, do you
[9:02] Speaker 4: have Yeah, I reckon if when I go to Hell,
[9:06] Speaker 4: the devil himself will serve me corn meat and mashed
[9:09] Speaker 4: potato like that with so when we're up at the
[9:14] Speaker 4: caravan but Fingle Bay as kids, I used to love
[9:18] Speaker 4: corn meat and got served it and there was something
[9:20] Speaker 4: wrong with the meat and I was violently sick for
[9:22] Speaker 4: a week. And every time there was one toilet block
[9:26] Speaker 4: up there finger Back caravan Park but Uka that actually
[9:29] Speaker 4: smelt like corn beef, And every time I walked in there,
[9:31] Speaker 4: I vomited there Because you hate peas too, famously, I'm
[9:35] Speaker 4: a texture man.
[9:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, you're weird. You are quite like a freaky man
[9:40] Speaker 1: in that sense, because you also have like not food delaid,
[9:43] Speaker 1: but the fobiua of like seams of your shirt.
[9:45] Speaker 2: Yeah that's right.
[9:46] Speaker 1: Where does that come from? You just don't like the
[9:48] Speaker 1: texture of it.
[9:49] Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't like zooms and it's funnys Jack's similar.
[9:52] Speaker 5: Yeah, no, no anymore.
[9:55] Speaker 1: It's not good for you.
[9:57] Speaker 3: You've also got peas. You've also got cucumber. You can't
[9:59] Speaker 3: be to have cucumber on your.
[10:00] Speaker 2: Plate, exture me.
[10:01] Speaker 1: You don't like cucumber.
[10:02] Speaker 2: I love to spise it.
[10:03] Speaker 1: Why what about cucumb It's like ninety percent water.
[10:07] Speaker 2: I just don't like it. There's some foods I like
[10:10] Speaker 2: the shape? What like a dildo? You got me, Trish?
[10:16] Speaker 2: I mean I gave. I tried to stick about my ass,
[10:18] Speaker 2: but unfortunately that fit.
[10:23] Speaker 5: Dad.
[10:23] Speaker 1: What are you doing? What you are?
[10:27] Speaker 2: Are you? The cucumbers, trishpots?
[10:30] Speaker 1: Yeah? The massive eggplant eggplants really long?
[10:33] Speaker 5: Remember I remember in the old place. I remember in
[10:36] Speaker 5: the old place, we had a we had this mini
[10:39] Speaker 5: garden and trush was growing zucchini, isn't it? And then
[10:41] Speaker 5: one of them was like, it's like someone gave it steroids,
[10:44] Speaker 5: and it came out. It was like the size of
[10:46] Speaker 5: like dead set, like a human arm di And then
[10:51] Speaker 5: I found Dad trying to dig it up the night,
[10:55] Speaker 5: had it hidden under his pillow that.
[10:57] Speaker 2: Was out there giving it hit everything. It's just a joke.
[11:02] Speaker 1: God, the reason we're pulling you up is because we
[11:06] Speaker 1: know and the listeners know. It's not a joke.
[11:12] Speaker 4: Jackie, you've got it's like you Pop had Dildo Farm
[11:14] Speaker 4: had a lot of trouble squatters.
[11:17] Speaker 1: Jack what about do you have a food me?
[11:21] Speaker 5: It was I'm not you know what. Carrots don't do
[11:23] Speaker 5: it for me these days. You know the end of
[11:25] Speaker 5: carrots where it gets really like the taste gets really ugly.
[11:30] Speaker 5: I can't stand that.
[11:31] Speaker 3: Are you talking about the high end where the.
[11:32] Speaker 5: Green but the end where it actually like is attached
[11:35] Speaker 5: to the green part. The closer you get to it,
[11:38] Speaker 5: I have like a fear of getting to that bit
[11:40] Speaker 5: where it tastes like sort of I don't even know what.
[11:42] Speaker 2: It tastes like dirt.
[11:44] Speaker 5: It's like dirt metally almost. And yeah, you can chop
[11:47] Speaker 5: that off, right, Yeah you can either, Yeah, but you
[11:50] Speaker 5: don't know where to cut it. There's no there's no
[11:51] Speaker 5: limit there's no long line.
[11:52] Speaker 1: I eat the whole carrot. Yeah, you're pretty good.
[11:56] Speaker 3: There's not much you don't eat.
[11:57] Speaker 1: I had. This is what I had. Come on now
[12:01] Speaker 1: see to make you work hard.
[12:03] Speaker 2: Now.
[12:03] Speaker 1: It's funny how your taste buds change when you're younger
[12:06] Speaker 1: into Like I used to not like tomato. Like if
[12:08] Speaker 1: I was getting a burger, I take a lot of
[12:09] Speaker 1: the stuff off the burger. Now literally I will put
[12:13] Speaker 1: anything in my mouth. Yeah, I'll have the only thing
[12:16] Speaker 1: I'm not massive of, and I know jack's the same beetroot,
[12:20] Speaker 1: Like I wouldn't not have it. If it's on my burger,
[12:23] Speaker 1: I'll eat it doesn't really matter, but I wouldn't put
[12:26] Speaker 1: it on a burger.
[12:26] Speaker 5: As actually said true, I would never go out of
[12:28] Speaker 5: my way to get beetroops any other way.
[12:31] Speaker 2: Do you remember that solely in Australian normal all the
[12:33] Speaker 2: other countries of the world.
[12:35] Speaker 4: People around the world cannot believe the weeper boot troot
[12:37] Speaker 4: on a hamburger.
[12:38] Speaker 3: It's yummy though, like that.
[12:41] Speaker 1: Obviously pineapple is good. Can I just quickly jump one
[12:44] Speaker 1: story before I forget it, which I.
[12:46] Speaker 4: Was just gonna mention in your taste buds, Just quickly there.
[12:48] Speaker 4: As you get older, your taste buds are more affected
[12:51] Speaker 4: to sour and as hence, why remember.
[12:55] Speaker 5: The day's I worked with the best is now at
[13:00] Speaker 5: all bidders the beach Club, all the oldies, they all
[13:03] Speaker 5: they would like me to Honestly, I'd get people ask
[13:05] Speaker 5: them to put bidders on top of their beer.
[13:07] Speaker 2: Frofah, I loved it.
[13:09] Speaker 3: Is that interesting? I've never heard of that.
[13:11] Speaker 1: Sorry, I forgot That's all right, No, no, glad we
[13:14] Speaker 1: hung out there for that bitter fact as well. But Jack,
[13:17] Speaker 1: I remember there was a time Gaz took us to
[13:19] Speaker 1: a local this is bringing up Fingle Baby caravan park again.
[13:23] Speaker 1: Gaz took us up to the local burger shop, like
[13:25] Speaker 1: the corner store, and you told Gas you were allergic
[13:28] Speaker 1: to be trooth because you didn't want it on your burger.
[13:31] Speaker 1: And then for years Gaz thought Jack was allergic to
[13:33] Speaker 1: be true. That won't hurts, No, No, I mean what
[13:36] Speaker 1: about our FaceTime with Gas the other day?
[13:38] Speaker 6: We tell about that, Yeah, so we Jack must I
[13:42] Speaker 6: don't know how it's come about, but I've gotten added
[13:44] Speaker 6: to a FaceTime group call with Jack, Gas and Gail
[13:48] Speaker 6: and like how.
[13:49] Speaker 1: They worked out FaceTime I'm not sure. Maybe Jack told them.
[13:52] Speaker 1: So I get to added and I jump in. Now
[13:54] Speaker 1: Jack's in bed with Gemma. God knows not that too.
[13:57] Speaker 1: But Gail and Gazz are on the care a blind
[14:01] Speaker 1: so drunk and a little tipsy. Gail was talking heaps.
[14:05] Speaker 1: Gazz had fallen asleep mid call when I jumped in.
[14:09] Speaker 1: Gail's got the phone on him and he's asleep. He's asleep,
[14:12] Speaker 1: he wakes up and I don't know what he was
[14:15] Speaker 1: dreaming about. But let me tell you something. Gazz was
[14:19] Speaker 1: very intoxicated. But how I don't want to say the
[14:22] Speaker 1: word creepy. Remember some of this, some of this like
[14:25] Speaker 1: conversation he was trying to have with Jemma Jack.
[14:27] Speaker 5: Yeah, because we mentioned, we mentioned that we're going to
[14:31] Speaker 5: Thailand in November, and Popping none and Pop had been
[14:35] Speaker 5: to Thailand, believe it, in all places. And he was
[14:37] Speaker 5: filthy because he said they didn't have two years old,
[14:40] Speaker 5: which is which is pretty typical. But then he started,
[14:44] Speaker 5: he started going on this rant about why the lady
[14:47] Speaker 5: boys weren't that keen on him, and it just got
[14:49] Speaker 5: a bit, it just got a bit interesting.
[14:51] Speaker 1: But I love like Nane said, she.
[14:53] Speaker 5: She tried, she said, she goes, I actually offered someone
[14:55] Speaker 5: cash to like hang out with Gazz and they said no.
[14:58] Speaker 1: It was my favorite. It was just like at any
[15:01] Speaker 1: random point he'd just go. Jack could be mid mid
[15:03] Speaker 1: talking and Gazz would just go put the phone on Gemma,
[15:06] Speaker 1: and then Jackie go, and then Jemma would just be
[15:08] Speaker 1: like staring at Gazz, and Gas to be looking at
[15:10] Speaker 1: gem and you go, hey yahn, Darlen and me and
[15:16] Speaker 1: Jack justs wouldn't say anything and just leave it. And
[15:18] Speaker 1: it's like awkward, just in this long pause and awkwardness,
[15:20] Speaker 1: and remember Gazz. At random points, Jack would just go,
[15:23] Speaker 1: he'd be mid talk and then just trail off because
[15:25] Speaker 1: he'd had a few two years old. And then he
[15:27] Speaker 1: just go, oh, I love you boys, and then like
[15:30] Speaker 1: we didn't really know what to say, like it's actually
[15:33] Speaker 1: hard to like say I love you to your grandparents
[15:36] Speaker 1: and even you guys, but like it it feels so Unnat.
[15:40] Speaker 5: Like four or five times, he just stopped mis sentence
[15:42] Speaker 5: and just realized he's on face time with this like
[15:44] Speaker 5: and then just go, geez, I love you.
[15:46] Speaker 2: Well made he call He's been calling work while I've
[15:48] Speaker 2: been at work with the boy with Fletching hind In
[15:51] Speaker 2: and out there.
[15:52] Speaker 4: I go, hey, boys, boys, sell man, I just guess
[15:54] Speaker 4: waking on speaker so and made he's always Maggie you
[15:58] Speaker 4: might anyway rang to the Penrith Loss and on Sunday,
[16:02] Speaker 4: I go ahead, boys and listen, he'll be absolutely gone.
[16:07] Speaker 1: And it was.
[16:08] Speaker 2: It was really emotional about but he's going.
[16:11] Speaker 4: You should have made he should have take the too,
[16:16] Speaker 4: so too, we should have taken today ship a five
[16:23] Speaker 4: minute conversations going around circles and begain that. The boys
[16:26] Speaker 4: fleshing Hey were laughing towards the.
[16:28] Speaker 2: End, They're like, hang up.
[16:31] Speaker 3: Then both Fletch and Heini have lost their dads, haven't they.
[16:35] Speaker 4: Yeah, so what's well that's the end of the podcast.
[16:39] Speaker 1: What has that got to do with it?
[16:41] Speaker 3: Well, then, you know, it just gives them a little
[16:43] Speaker 3: bit of a dad moment, right, Okay.
[16:46] Speaker 4: Whether it's your dad, but listen to.
[16:49] Speaker 1: My dad this like it makes them grateful that. We'll
[16:58] Speaker 1: shout out to anyone that's listening, who's who's lost a parent?
[17:00] Speaker 2: Dad?
[17:01] Speaker 1: Yeah? All a parent? Yeah both.
[17:03] Speaker 2: I'm an orphan, yeah yeah, god.
[17:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, well you're not an orphan. No, an orphan would
[17:11] Speaker 1: suggest they.
[17:11] Speaker 5: Were raised without there.
[17:15] Speaker 3: It's an orphan.
[17:17] Speaker 1: Should we you know, what should we take? Should we
[17:19] Speaker 1: take this fun loving podcast into a very dark area?
[17:24] Speaker 1: Do you guys want to do that?
[17:25] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[17:26] Speaker 1: Just because do we want to take this to the depths?
[17:28] Speaker 2: I'm happy to I'll take it into the depths.
[17:31] Speaker 4: First of all, I don't know what what it is
[17:34] Speaker 4: this week, whether it's the change of season, a bit
[17:36] Speaker 4: of warmth in the air, but I've been getting relentless dejavi.
[17:40] Speaker 4: In the words of the great New York Yankees player
[17:43] Speaker 4: Yogi Bearra in the fifteen to sixties years ago, having
[17:46] Speaker 4: deja over and over again, it was like a funny line.
[17:49] Speaker 4: But I've been getting it over and over I seriously have.
[17:53] Speaker 4: I had to start to get this real weird feeling
[17:55] Speaker 4: about the family. So I rang everyone ring is all individually,
[17:59] Speaker 4: Jack was there, Jack and generally in the house with Trisha,
[18:02] Speaker 4: everyone okay, I rank.
[18:04] Speaker 3: Coop us and it freaked me out.
[18:05] Speaker 2: I was, okay, So I'm just having this really weird sence.
[18:09] Speaker 1: Yeah, but you yeah, And it shows everyone was fine,
[18:13] Speaker 1: So maybe it was a you thing.
[18:16] Speaker 4: It's really strange this time of the year, when with
[18:18] Speaker 4: that warm wind in the air, I get dej.
[18:20] Speaker 2: Vu about final series all the time. When I played,
[18:23] Speaker 2: I'll get that same sense. Do you think that's ct God,
[18:29] Speaker 2: it's probably memory.
[18:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe it's And look it's employees, we've been, letters,
[18:37] Speaker 1: we've been we've been out of the game for a
[18:40] Speaker 1: couple of years. Now you've been out of the game
[18:41] Speaker 1: for a long time. But this, there is something about
[18:44] Speaker 1: this time of the year. It does. It does get
[18:46] Speaker 1: a little bit like I find I get quite melancholy. Yes,
[18:50] Speaker 1: maybe it's because I'm not in the footy environment like
[18:54] Speaker 1: directly anymore. Like I was down in Melbourne last week
[18:58] Speaker 1: and when I was leaving the boys like Harry and
[19:00] Speaker 1: Wish's place, and I was in the over to the airport,
[19:03] Speaker 1: I found myself getting very melancholy, like very sad. I
[19:07] Speaker 1: think it's just like you realize what you've what you're
[19:10] Speaker 1: missing out on. I imagine a.
[19:12] Speaker 3: Lot of that you've left behind.
[19:13] Speaker 1: I imagine a lot of X sports people feel the
[19:16] Speaker 1: same way when it comes to if you're a tennis
[19:18] Speaker 1: player and the OZ Open comes around and you get
[19:21] Speaker 1: quite melancholy.
[19:22] Speaker 3: Around they're going into a grand final.
[19:24] Speaker 4: I remember still I once so Nogi're not It was
[19:26] Speaker 4: really melancholy, and I said, you're right, Pete. He goes, Mate,
[19:28] Speaker 4: this is just the one time of the year that
[19:32] Speaker 4: I really really miss playing.
[19:34] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's hard. It's hard, guys.
[19:37] Speaker 5: I had a bit of that too. But then you
[19:38] Speaker 5: then you start talking to blokes that like got heartbroken
[19:42] Speaker 5: through the year and they've had bad years. They might
[19:44] Speaker 5: have got the spoon, or they might have dropped out
[19:47] Speaker 5: of the finals, and you go, you know what, I
[19:48] Speaker 5: don't miss that.
[19:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I don't miss all this. Or someone's in
[19:53] Speaker 1: the paper just getting followed around by paparazzi. Yeah, it
[19:57] Speaker 1: feels like.
[19:58] Speaker 5: Bor and beer into a Pokemonsion, all those Yeah, yeah.
[20:01] Speaker 4: Well, I just talking to him as a professional sport.
[20:03] Speaker 4: I want to do a shout out because his mom
[20:04] Speaker 4: and dad do listen to the podcast a little A
[20:07] Speaker 4: young fellow just down the road, young Jesse, who's the
[20:10] Speaker 4: neighbor of ours, and mate, I've gone a soon in
[20:12] Speaker 4: play soccer a little bit when he was younger. Anyway,
[20:15] Speaker 4: he's very very talented young soccer player. Anyway, he went
[20:17] Speaker 4: to he went to Europe child for a couple of
[20:19] Speaker 4: clubs and got picked up by an Italian club.
[20:21] Speaker 2: Which Italian club it was to one up North newcomer.
[20:24] Speaker 4: He got off at a contract at Leche, which is
[20:26] Speaker 4: down near Puglia Pullia Trisia is from.
[20:31] Speaker 2: But he's taken one up.
[20:32] Speaker 4: North, one of the big northern Italian clubs. And I
[20:34] Speaker 4: was talking to his mum and he said, oh my god.
[20:37] Speaker 4: She said, oh my god, it's ruthless.
[20:39] Speaker 1: How much money is he going to make?
[20:41] Speaker 2: I don't I don't know.
[20:43] Speaker 4: But he's only young, like he's seventeen. They've already put
[20:46] Speaker 4: him in the under twenties. But he said, mate, they
[20:48] Speaker 4: just kicked the legs from under your training. His agent,
[20:50] Speaker 4: his European agents, said to him, Jesse, I want you
[20:53] Speaker 4: to understand something made. All these blokes you're alongside you,
[20:56] Speaker 4: they aren't like you, he said. They see you as
[20:59] Speaker 4: the main position. That's how I view each other. So mate,
[21:02] Speaker 4: they're going to kick your train everything. Just get ready
[21:04] Speaker 4: for that is going to be very different.
[21:06] Speaker 2: To what you used to like to young Jesse following
[21:09] Speaker 2: his dream, good on him.
[21:10] Speaker 1: Hey, I can never knock someone back for following that dream,
[21:13] Speaker 1: never ever. Can I talk about another lesson that I
[21:16] Speaker 1: let me lighten this up a little bit, Another lesson
[21:19] Speaker 1: that I learned during the week because I'm someone who
[21:21] Speaker 1: watches movies and I've see this phone here. Yeah, I've
[21:25] Speaker 1: got inspiration of notes any movie, animated, whatever it is.
[21:29] Speaker 1: I always write down a key takeaway from a movie
[21:32] Speaker 1: or a song that I listened to or watch, and
[21:34] Speaker 1: I watched She's Out of My Legue on the weekend.
[21:36] Speaker 1: Now that's a romantic comedy, you know. I love my
[21:39] Speaker 1: wrong coms. And essentially the lesson it's about a bloke
[21:42] Speaker 1: who tries to go a girl shows interest in him.
[21:45] Speaker 1: He thinks she's so far out of his league. But
[21:48] Speaker 1: that's basically it's sort of self explanatory. But the lesson
[21:51] Speaker 1: I've taken away from it, and I think this is
[21:53] Speaker 1: a lesson we can all take into everyday life, all right,
[21:55] Speaker 1: you listen to me, listening to you. I think the
[21:58] Speaker 1: only limitation in our individual lives are the ones that
[22:02] Speaker 1: we set on ourselves.
[22:03] Speaker 2: Yourself.
[22:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, whether that's whether you're a sportsman. You think I
[22:07] Speaker 1: can't make that rep team, I can't make this time
[22:09] Speaker 1: in a fitness test, I can't bench a hundred kilos.
[22:12] Speaker 1: I can't get this this raise or this promotion in
[22:14] Speaker 1: a job. You know, I can't get this girl or
[22:17] Speaker 1: bloke because she's out of my leg. Let me tell
[22:19] Speaker 1: you something right now, that is a ceiling that you
[22:22] Speaker 1: have put on yourself. You've built in and you're a carpenter.
[22:24] Speaker 1: If you are a carpenter, knock that thing down, rebuild
[22:27] Speaker 1: a ten meters higher because you Let me tell you something.
[22:29] Speaker 1: Everyone'm listening to this podcast. You are good enough now,
[22:32] Speaker 1: that's what I've learned.
[22:33] Speaker 2: I well, I get a lessen to someone if you're
[22:35] Speaker 2: out there. This is from the Buddha himself.
[22:37] Speaker 4: He talks about hate. If you've got a person out
[22:39] Speaker 4: there you really hate people, understand this hate is like
[22:41] Speaker 4: putting your hand into a blazing hot fire and pulling
[22:44] Speaker 4: out a hot cold. The longer you hang onto it,
[22:48] Speaker 4: you understand the only person you're hurting is yourself.
[22:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, have you taken that on board? Because you are
[22:53] Speaker 1: someone who hates a lot.
[22:55] Speaker 2: I don't hate Hamish and Andy and Rove.
[22:59] Speaker 1: Jack affirm that with me.
[23:02] Speaker 5: What's wrong with Rove?
[23:03] Speaker 2: He's hilarious? Jack? Do you have anything you want to
[23:07] Speaker 2: add life lessons?
[23:10] Speaker 5: Yeah? Oh look, I don't know. I don't know if
[23:13] Speaker 5: I can now do that. Kooby, you have been so
[23:14] Speaker 5: inspirational this week, like I saw that on this Instagram.
[23:17] Speaker 5: Throughout the week, you have inspired the Storm to get
[23:20] Speaker 5: into the Grand Final again. I saw some of the
[23:22] Speaker 5: comments people are saying, you know, it's likely, you know,
[23:25] Speaker 5: it's good to see the lessons we've taken. Cooper's got
[23:27] Speaker 5: us there, but we don't actually have him, so it's
[23:30] Speaker 5: likely we will lose. But it's just good to That's
[23:32] Speaker 5: not true.
[23:33] Speaker 1: What do you mean.
[23:36] Speaker 2: Cooper's like will win, He's the.
[23:39] Speaker 3: Would have shout yeah, and I'd like my little Harry
[23:42] Speaker 3: to be Churchill.
[23:45] Speaker 5: Did they go over Tori's head?
[23:46] Speaker 1: I think that when I get it all, she just
[23:49] Speaker 1: changed t.
[23:49] Speaker 3: Yeah, changed like a sixteen foot didn't go or yeah,
[23:52] Speaker 3: I agree with you.
[23:54] Speaker 1: Okay, does anyone else have anything from their week?
[23:56] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[23:57] Speaker 1: I have. I feel free to jump in.
[23:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, I was, we were.
[24:01] Speaker 4: I tried to go ticket well, it got offered to
[24:03] Speaker 4: us tickets to go see at the Bellavista Hotel Snoop
[24:06] Speaker 4: Dogg on Saturday night. Of course they did the AFL
[24:09] Speaker 4: Grand Final and then the bloke who owned the bell
[24:13] Speaker 4: owns rich who runs a Bellavista hotel because Fletcher HEINDI
[24:16] Speaker 4: and I went and did a speing gig on the
[24:18] Speaker 4: Friday and he said, hey, Mannie, I don't know if
[24:20] Speaker 4: you're in the family, want to come along, but he
[24:21] Speaker 4: has got a booth feater Snoop Dogg. I said, hey, Rich,
[24:24] Speaker 4: that sounds awesome. What time's he coming on? He said midnight?
[24:27] Speaker 4: I said, this past my bed turns.
[24:28] Speaker 2: Out And he didn't go on till two o'clock.
[24:30] Speaker 3: God, we could have woken up early.
[24:32] Speaker 2: I tell you what. He was good the AFL Grand Final.
[24:36] Speaker 2: He was excellent.
[24:36] Speaker 3: Do you know what? I laughed. I loved the production
[24:38] Speaker 3: of it. There was a pre recorded piece.
[24:42] Speaker 2: To camera listened to Andrew.
[24:45] Speaker 3: No, but it is and it's my It was my
[24:46] Speaker 3: criticism of the NRLs last year. That performer what.
[24:50] Speaker 1: Was his name, kid LaRoy Leroy.
[24:52] Speaker 3: He performed brilliantly, but he was on this low stage
[24:55] Speaker 3: that you could barely see for smoke. It needs to
[24:57] Speaker 3: be risen. He had me on, Snoop had neon lights,
[25:00] Speaker 3: performing dances, brass band. There was a lead into it.
[25:05] Speaker 3: It was a performance.
[25:06] Speaker 5: They prioritize that the daytime Grand Finals.
[25:09] Speaker 4: It's it's just a better vibe American jacket. The next
[25:12] Speaker 4: broadcast it'll be Dave.
[25:13] Speaker 2: I've heard it. I've been.
[25:16] Speaker 5: Well. I've seen that the Landies might even approach them
[25:18] Speaker 5: for next year and see if the advertise, if the
[25:21] Speaker 5: advertisers are okay with the broadcasters, and they can get
[25:23] Speaker 5: it done well.
[25:24] Speaker 2: The biggest ratings, the biggest ratings of all time outside
[25:27] Speaker 2: of state of origin and grand finals like regular round
[25:30] Speaker 2: in finals, has been the day games, the two Sunday
[25:33] Speaker 2: day Games.
[25:33] Speaker 3: I just don't understand why they think that advertising wise
[25:39] Speaker 3: is better than the day when it's a specific when
[25:42] Speaker 3: it's a specific event.
[25:43] Speaker 4: The numbers numbers in the past have shown it. What happens,
[25:46] Speaker 4: Trisha is it's collective.
[25:50] Speaker 2: For ratings.
[25:51] Speaker 4: It isn't just collective eyeballs. It's basically, if there's thirty
[25:57] Speaker 4: people in a house with the ratings, that affects the ratings,
[26:02] Speaker 4: if you know what I mean.
[26:03] Speaker 3: But I think the ratings system is yes, all again,
[26:07] Speaker 3: that's a different story.
[26:08] Speaker 2: But that's that's the reason.
[26:09] Speaker 5: I mean.
[26:09] Speaker 1: I could see ratings and revenue you guys the whole time,
[26:12] Speaker 1: but it is quite boring.
[26:14] Speaker 3: But do you have you ever known anyone that has
[26:17] Speaker 3: been picked for survey ratings, either radio or television. I
[26:21] Speaker 3: don't either.
[26:22] Speaker 5: Television to survey ratings as well yeah, yeah, just like radio.
[26:26] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, TV. That's when they talk about TV.
[26:29] Speaker 5: Ratings not necessarily like the Foxtel boxes get measured. Well,
[26:33] Speaker 5: they're different, different.
[26:35] Speaker 3: Different tactics different, that's digital.
[26:37] Speaker 4: But yeah, TV ratings like it's a book. And what
[26:41] Speaker 4: some of the big networks used to do, I know
[26:43] Speaker 4: for a fact, was that sometimes they would find out
[26:45] Speaker 4: a household would have a ratings box, and they would
[26:50] Speaker 4: go over a bouquet of flowers and stuff that they.
[26:53] Speaker 2: Would wo them.
[26:54] Speaker 5: There's a there's a Simpsons episode that's actually dedicated to
[26:57] Speaker 5: the ratings box where on all three to they actually
[27:00] Speaker 5: put them install them in people's houses so then they
[27:03] Speaker 5: can measure what they're watching.
[27:04] Speaker 1: Now, because because Teddy swims, there are rumors that he could.
[27:09] Speaker 3: Be I feel like he'll perform the.
[27:11] Speaker 1: Rumors that he could be a little bit under the weather.
[27:13] Speaker 3: Yeah, he's got good, fine days to recover, and that
[27:16] Speaker 3: is from a few days ago, so I think he'll
[27:17] Speaker 3: be okay.
[27:18] Speaker 2: If it ends up a disaster, it would be very
[27:20] Speaker 2: rugular league. I had a little bit of a list
[27:21] Speaker 2: here of.
[27:22] Speaker 4: All the stuff ups in our pregame entertainment l late eighties,
[27:26] Speaker 4: we had a thing actually very very early. Forty second
[27:30] Speaker 4: Street was the big play in town. So forty second
[27:32] Speaker 4: Street they came.
[27:33] Speaker 2: Out with the with the brass performance, with the big performance,
[27:36] Speaker 2: but someone forgot to bring their audio tape so there
[27:39] Speaker 2: was just no sound.
[27:42] Speaker 4: Ninety one the parachuters come down with the various colors
[27:46] Speaker 4: and one of the parachuters lost control and did an
[27:48] Speaker 4: emergency leaning on top of the roof of the Sydney
[27:51] Speaker 4: Football Stadium.
[27:52] Speaker 5: That's just that's good publicity.
[27:53] Speaker 1: That is good.
[27:54] Speaker 4: Of course, Billy Idol was the most famous one where
[27:57] Speaker 4: someone just pulled the plug out, apparently kicked the cord
[28:00] Speaker 4: and it dropped out. Yeah, that was it, as simple
[28:02] Speaker 4: as that. Someone where what the connection, accidentally kicked the
[28:05] Speaker 4: cord and it doesn't matter.
[28:07] Speaker 3: Again, that's lack of preparation and production.
[28:10] Speaker 2: Scoop and Optus TV.
[28:13] Speaker 4: In ninety five, Opts TV was coming into telecommunications in
[28:16] Speaker 4: Australia and so they were the major sponsor of the AARL.
[28:20] Speaker 4: They brought this massive Optus TV out and the cable
[28:24] Speaker 4: snapped and it absolutely shoot itself, which was probably emblematic
[28:27] Speaker 4: of Optus during that era. Another one in the seventies,
[28:31] Speaker 4: now the great Ian heads told Keny about this once
[28:34] Speaker 4: upon a time the late great Ian Heads, and I've
[28:36] Speaker 4: heard Kenny talk about it recently. In the mid seventies,
[28:40] Speaker 4: the bloke who was in charge of the entertainment fellow called
[28:42] Speaker 4: Bob Abbott, whoever.
[28:45] Speaker 2: The Grand Final was.
[28:46] Speaker 4: He got hundreds of balloons of both sides and was
[28:49] Speaker 4: going to release him before the game. Someone forgot to
[28:52] Speaker 4: bring the thing to blow the balloon up, so he
[28:55] Speaker 4: had to blow him up himself.
[28:56] Speaker 1: Passed out.
[28:57] Speaker 2: Yeah, took five.
[28:59] Speaker 1: I saw it. I saw a you have Snoop Dogg
[29:01] Speaker 1: Snoop Doggs. Mike didn't get set up until like ten
[29:03] Speaker 1: seconds before he walked out. That's how it's amazing.
[29:06] Speaker 3: Gold of dime on him.
[29:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, but like it was, it dropped out. He tested
[29:10] Speaker 1: it as the pre record started playing and then goes,
[29:12] Speaker 1: my MIC's not on. They had to test like they
[29:14] Speaker 1: were literally frantic frantic. It's amazing how like you think
[29:17] Speaker 1: there's big productions, it's actually phenomenal when you realize they're
[29:22] Speaker 1: actually not as prepared as you might think. A lot
[29:24] Speaker 1: of the time they triple test some things, but there were.
[29:26] Speaker 3: Prepared enough that when he came out, it was Yeah,
[29:29] Speaker 3: but with production equipment.
[29:32] Speaker 5: You never know.
[29:32] Speaker 1: It's unpredictable.
[29:33] Speaker 5: Sometimes sometimes just things to drop out. They're unpredictable if
[29:37] Speaker 5: you rely on technology. I rely on my laptop right now.
[29:39] Speaker 5: But you know what if it turned off, scream, it
[29:42] Speaker 5: could be for whatever reason. I can't.
[29:44] Speaker 4: It's just like just the super Bowl never stopped it up.
[29:46] Speaker 4: Super Bowl always knows nail it. They do monce Worth rehearsals.
[29:51] Speaker 1: They got that.
[29:51] Speaker 3: They're unbelievable and they're an now Super Bowl performer. What's
[29:55] Speaker 3: his name? Mum?
[29:56] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, bad Bunny, Bad Bunny.
[29:59] Speaker 5: Wasn' having Gilmore He's doing half time.
[30:01] Speaker 2: It was really good.
[30:02] Speaker 1: The Yeah he'll be good guys.
[30:05] Speaker 2: Talent, good talent, Coop.
[30:08] Speaker 1: Look, I mean I wouldn't sign him, but he's good talent.
[30:10] Speaker 5: Are you going to the game this weekend? Cooper?
[30:12] Speaker 1: I'll be out there breh the Rabbit's foot. Yeah, I'm
[30:16] Speaker 1: actually out there for like some other other work. But
[30:19] Speaker 1: I mean obviously i'll see, like my presence will be felt.
[30:23] Speaker 2: How was how were the sheds after the game down
[30:25] Speaker 2: in Melbourne last week?
[30:27] Speaker 1: Joyous? Good? I had to do a skull every time
[30:30] Speaker 1: I'm in I get into the sheds as an old
[30:32] Speaker 1: boy Harry, because Harry does like a sort of speech
[30:34] Speaker 1: at the end after the team song, and they get
[30:37] Speaker 1: like tradition at Melbourne is get a couple of you know,
[30:40] Speaker 1: someone might have a big milestone, a debut, one hundred
[30:42] Speaker 1: games scored, a hat trick. You get up and you
[30:44] Speaker 1: do a skull. It's most rugby league sheds do it.
[30:47] Speaker 1: And every time he gets me for a skull, and
[30:49] Speaker 1: I'm always like, I kind of try to hide because
[30:51] Speaker 1: by that time I've had about like I've had a
[30:54] Speaker 1: few beers watching the game. And when you've had a
[30:56] Speaker 1: few beers, you've got a bit of gas in your stomach.
[30:58] Speaker 1: The last thing you feel like doing is sculling beer.
[31:00] Speaker 2: Gem another one.
[31:01] Speaker 1: But the boys who have just come off the field,
[31:02] Speaker 1: they're thirsty. You could scull a beer and it's like
[31:05] Speaker 1: it goes down very easy. So I'm racing blokes that
[31:07] Speaker 1: are they're very dehydrated.
[31:09] Speaker 4: That was one of the greatest joys of my life.
[31:10] Speaker 4: Finishing a tough game of football. Walk into the sheds,
[31:13] Speaker 4: big eski there, reach in have half a dozen in
[31:16] Speaker 4: the sheds.
[31:16] Speaker 1: That's what I'd see it and I used to that
[31:19] Speaker 1: was probably one of my I'd like to get Jack's
[31:21] Speaker 1: view on some of the inner sanctum of his club
[31:24] Speaker 1: at South and Knights. But Melbourne did that so well.
[31:27] Speaker 1: Cameron Smith was so big for that, like he would
[31:29] Speaker 1: not He'd sit there on a seven day turnaround, sit
[31:32] Speaker 1: on top of the eski and he'd still be in
[31:34] Speaker 1: his gear an hour and a half afterwards, just drinking
[31:36] Speaker 1: beers with everyone. Music could be blasting. We always had
[31:39] Speaker 1: like the same song that woul play after every win
[31:41] Speaker 1: and it was such a good vibe. They still do
[31:43] Speaker 1: that tradition quite well down there, but when I went,
[31:45] Speaker 1: it changes every year. Felice Cafusi'd usually pick it. He
[31:48] Speaker 1: chose Bad Boys for Life one time when Bad Boys
[31:50] Speaker 1: was coming out, But mainly I missed that when I
[31:54] Speaker 1: went to Manly because Manly didn't really have that a
[31:56] Speaker 1: lot of the boys because try and instill it.
[31:58] Speaker 4: I tried, but a lot of the boys don't drink
[32:00] Speaker 4: like a lot of Sydney clubs, like not everyone because
[32:04] Speaker 4: they live so far away, like they're straight in that
[32:06] Speaker 4: they're straight in shower and their home going back to
[32:08] Speaker 4: wherever they live. Remember when the Western Reds are in
[32:10] Speaker 4: ninety five, which is going to say something about the
[32:12] Speaker 4: Perth Bears. Just one of the things, although it's not
[32:15] Speaker 4: as big a deal this year because these days because
[32:18] Speaker 4: everyone doesn't drink like you just said. But Mark Guy
[32:21] Speaker 4: was saying one of the most difficult things with the
[32:22] Speaker 4: Western Reds course of the amount of travel. Their policy
[32:25] Speaker 4: was right, o, boys, because of the travel after away games,
[32:30] Speaker 4: there's no drinking because you're going to get on a
[32:31] Speaker 4: flight and fly all the way home.
[32:33] Speaker 2: And he said it.
[32:33] Speaker 4: Was the toughest thing after you had a really tough
[32:37] Speaker 4: game and you just want to have a beer and
[32:40] Speaker 4: you weren't allowed to.
[32:41] Speaker 2: So that, he said, of all the things that was
[32:43] Speaker 2: tough he said for football, he said, just you didn't
[32:46] Speaker 2: feel that same gratification after a win.
[32:48] Speaker 5: Yeah, it's going to be half of the Perth Bears. Boys,
[32:50] Speaker 5: I don't know what the Wars do. You just got
[32:51] Speaker 5: to if you're.
[32:52] Speaker 3: The they would usually stay wherever. Yeah, they wouldn't get
[32:56] Speaker 3: straight on a flight.
[32:57] Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's true. That is true. But you would
[32:59] Speaker 5: think that they sort of take the model of whatever
[33:01] Speaker 5: the Wars are doing, especially whoever their strength and conditioner
[33:04] Speaker 5: or head of performance is. You try and steal him,
[33:07] Speaker 5: I reckon.
[33:07] Speaker 1: It doesn't matter about trouble. Just have a beer. If
[33:09] Speaker 1: you're at the airport lounge and you're urinating at a plant,
[33:12] Speaker 1: who cares Jack especially?
[33:15] Speaker 5: I know the actually I know the Newcastle, the head
[33:19] Speaker 5: of performance at the Wires. We should get him on
[33:21] Speaker 5: next week. We should talk about it. Get him on,
[33:24] Speaker 5: bring him up and we'll see what they should do,
[33:26] Speaker 5: why they should should shouldn't have a big after they
[33:29] Speaker 5: Let's do it and I'll mock him.
[33:32] Speaker 3: You boys, see, just change in tact. Mary Fowler actually
[33:37] Speaker 3: walk the Paris Fashion Week.
[33:39] Speaker 1: She's the first ever.
[33:42] Speaker 5: Female soccer player.
[33:45] Speaker 3: Yeah, but it was really sweet. Nathan posted it starting.
[33:49] Speaker 5: To sound trish.
[33:53] Speaker 1: We're not a relationship. Well, we're not here to say
[33:56] Speaker 1: how Nathan's a good partner. We don't know the inner
[33:58] Speaker 1: sanctum of their relation ship.
[34:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, she looked.
[34:02] Speaker 3: Can I say she did?
[34:04] Speaker 1: Shout out to Mary Fouler true to stay?
[34:06] Speaker 2: Hell of it sounds really creepy, sound like Gary John something.
[34:10] Speaker 3: Sound people are sick of you, guys.
[34:13] Speaker 5: What do you mean sick of you?
[34:15] Speaker 2: Really referring?
[34:17] Speaker 5: Are you referring to those two truth? What are you
[34:20] Speaker 5: referring to those two? Am I including that?
[34:22] Speaker 1: Jack? Yes?
[34:23] Speaker 5: You are?
[34:24] Speaker 3: You actually do not get tarnished with the same brush.
[34:27] Speaker 3: What thanks to j You don't people there's love for Jack,
[34:31] Speaker 3: by the way.
[34:31] Speaker 1: You said, if they saw how he spoke to you before.
[34:37] Speaker 3: That's true.
[34:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, moody little bastards is I've never seen moods like it.
[34:42] Speaker 3: Would you mean like that? Ever since it was a
[34:43] Speaker 3: little boy remembering crack the ships, grabbing ball, snooty head
[34:47] Speaker 3: up in the air and walk away.
[34:48] Speaker 5: And I reckon people listening and probably find a bit
[34:51] Speaker 5: of sympathy filming living with you, you bunch.
[34:53] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's pretty terrible looking forward to said day though.
[34:56] Speaker 4: What a day we are going to have tomorrow. Jack's
[34:59] Speaker 4: got a bet one of his mates coming over, and
[35:01] Speaker 4: I've brought a person who he brings the energy of twenty.
[35:05] Speaker 2: Mates, which is uncle Joey. Yeah, so what's going to be.
[35:08] Speaker 3: Won't be sharing the same space we will.
[35:11] Speaker 1: It will melt down.
[35:12] Speaker 5: We're going to get my mate, Martha and joe together.
[35:15] Speaker 5: I reckon that might be a bit similar to Joey
[35:18] Speaker 5: and mister tangle of toa that we know from.
[35:22] Speaker 1: It's very funny actually, because me and Joey today when
[35:26] Speaker 1: this comes out, we're actually we're doing a luncheon together.
[35:29] Speaker 1: We're on Friday and Cranullah.
[35:32] Speaker 4: Yeah, I forgot about that actually until you just is
[35:35] Speaker 4: it the one that we did last year and they've replaced.
[35:37] Speaker 1: No, no, no, I don't think no, no, this is
[35:39] Speaker 1: a different lunch. And I only just sort of found
[35:41] Speaker 1: out about a month or so.
[35:42] Speaker 2: And they invite me or you or Joey and you
[35:45] Speaker 2: have actually don't Yeah, you have work and it's at
[35:47] Speaker 2: twelve thirty.
[35:49] Speaker 1: I don't know why. I just got a call and
[35:51] Speaker 1: me and Joey had a group added to a group text.
[35:53] Speaker 1: I was intoxicated when the text came in and I
[35:55] Speaker 1: just said yes, sweet, and then I only just got
[35:57] Speaker 1: a reminder about it last week. But yeah, we're doing
[35:59] Speaker 1: a lunch together. I don't know what it is.
[36:02] Speaker 2: Just think I'm too big these days. Maybe they don't.
[36:04] Speaker 3: I think after you melt on your melt down last week,
[36:07] Speaker 3: they want to put anything else on your plane?
[36:09] Speaker 2: Got a bad vibe.
[36:11] Speaker 3: Can we just send a little special congratulations out to
[36:14] Speaker 3: Grant Atkins the Grand Fond. He's been actually really proud
[36:20] Speaker 3: for it.
[36:20] Speaker 5: I did think they announced it just after the day
[36:23] Speaker 5: after our podcast the review you had and you actually
[36:26] Speaker 5: gave him a bit of a rap cobber on that podcast.
[36:28] Speaker 2: I wonder if they listen men of influence.
[36:30] Speaker 1: Well, a lot of people listen to us, and they
[36:33] Speaker 1: take what like we say as gospel.
[36:35] Speaker 5: Why do you say we because it's.
[36:38] Speaker 1: Dad and Night.
[36:38] Speaker 2: I think Peter of Andy's he and handy, so I
[36:40] Speaker 2: think he listens.
[36:41] Speaker 3: You're really concerned about a lot of our neighbors listen
[36:44] Speaker 3: and then they'll just off hands say oh in the
[36:46] Speaker 3: podcast this week, and I go, did you listen even once?
[36:51] Speaker 4: You so?
[36:52] Speaker 1: A lot of them all right, let's move tack, let's go.
[36:54] Speaker 1: Dad's got a film Fame and viol.
[36:56] Speaker 2: This week, going now the people.
[36:58] Speaker 4: There is a film that has basely had no advertising
[37:01] Speaker 4: leading in because Paul Thomas Anderson, who he was the director,
[37:05] Speaker 4: he wrote the screenplay as well. He just said, this
[37:09] Speaker 4: is going to be huge. I don't want to build
[37:11] Speaker 4: it up. I'm just going to let people enjoy it.
[37:13] Speaker 4: It's called one Battle after another. It is insane. Leonardo DiCaprio,
[37:18] Speaker 4: Sean Pan Bernitol del Tora, Regina Hall it is. I'm
[37:23] Speaker 4: telling you it's The reviews have been almost unprecedented, and
[37:28] Speaker 4: with movies like that, you walk in and go, oh,
[37:30] Speaker 4: I was going to live up to the building.
[37:31] Speaker 2: It lived up to a trusht.
[37:32] Speaker 3: It was beyond I because it's a long movie too,
[37:35] Speaker 3: two hours fifty and I was thinking, Oh, I kept
[37:38] Speaker 3: waiting for a bit of a lull so I could
[37:39] Speaker 3: have a bit of a nap. Mate kept me on
[37:42] Speaker 3: the edge of my seat the whole time.
[37:43] Speaker 1: I wanted a lull to nap.
[37:45] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[37:46] Speaker 4: It's Paul Thomas Anderson. His movie is what he's very
[37:48] Speaker 4: good at. He's very good at mixing themes, so it's
[37:52] Speaker 4: actually some of his stuff is quite similar to a
[37:54] Speaker 4: Quentin Tarantino, So he mixes in this movie like drama, action, comedy.
[38:01] Speaker 4: Characters are really quirky, like I love Leonardo DiCaprio.
[38:07] Speaker 2: I think his best roles where he plays the sort
[38:10] Speaker 2: of quirky, vulnerable loser, he's very good.
[38:15] Speaker 1: They are another role that he's done.
[38:16] Speaker 4: You know, he plays the cool guy, you know that,
[38:19] Speaker 4: the playboy.
[38:20] Speaker 2: I don't like him in that. In those roles, I really.
[38:23] Speaker 3: Like him and I thought he was great.
[38:25] Speaker 2: And Sean Penn, oh god, he is back.
[38:29] Speaker 1: He's a good he was.
[38:31] Speaker 4: He plays an army general, Oh my god. And bern
[38:34] Speaker 4: Al del Toro is just about the coolest man in Hollywood.
[38:37] Speaker 5: Sean was in the Charlie Sheen docker You've got a
[38:39] Speaker 5: fair isn't it?
[38:41] Speaker 3: Is? He in what way?
[38:42] Speaker 2: Well?
[38:42] Speaker 5: Their childhood friends, they've been even before they are they
[38:45] Speaker 5: became big actors. They were friends in l A growing
[38:47] Speaker 5: up together.
[38:48] Speaker 4: But I really recommend people go and watch it. It's fantastic. Really,
[38:53] Speaker 4: you're really going to enjoy it. And the other one's
[38:55] Speaker 4: out at the moment. I think I'm going to go
[38:56] Speaker 4: watch tonight is spinal Tap two?
[39:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exciting. You love that movie.
[39:02] Speaker 2: It's called a Spottle tap two. The end continues.
[39:06] Speaker 1: But you have a follow up, and I haven't follow.
[39:08] Speaker 4: Pta Paul Thomas Anderson, who did some great movies over
[39:12] Speaker 4: the years. Gold, Silver and Bronze, Paul Thomas Anderson.
[39:15] Speaker 3: I haven't actually seen a lot of them. But my
[39:18] Speaker 3: bronze is Boogie Knights. My silver. Why are you laughing
[39:22] Speaker 3: at me?
[39:22] Speaker 1: I'm just laughing at it.
[39:23] Speaker 2: I laugh at dads.
[39:24] Speaker 3: There will be blood.
[39:25] Speaker 1: He gets so he gets so caught up in like talking,
[39:29] Speaker 1: and then I'm looking at him waiting for him to
[39:30] Speaker 1: throw to like the gold, silver and bronze, and he
[39:32] Speaker 1: just doesn't and he just looks at me and I go,
[39:34] Speaker 1: are you going to bring are you going to throw
[39:36] Speaker 1: crash memories?
[39:39] Speaker 5: Matthew's not structured, mate, don't over structure and coop. He
[39:41] Speaker 5: likes to play off the.
[39:42] Speaker 1: Car podcasts, but I don't want to have to throw
[39:45] Speaker 1: him into his own segment.
[39:48] Speaker 3: My Gold is one battle after another. I would go
[39:50] Speaker 3: back and see it again. It was great and I'm
[39:52] Speaker 3: going to give it five stars.
[39:54] Speaker 4: My bronze is there will be blood, Silver is Boogie Knights,
[39:59] Speaker 4: and the gold is one about after another Jackie Boy.
[40:03] Speaker 5: Mine is I've gone with my bronzes the Master it
[40:06] Speaker 5: has Joaquin and Philip Simhoffman, great movie movie. Second is
[40:11] Speaker 5: there will be blood with the great who's the main
[40:14] Speaker 5: actor there is all the time. And then my number
[40:18] Speaker 5: one is Boogie Knights. I love everything about Boogie Knights,
[40:21] Speaker 5: the acting, the comedy and the soundtrack.
[40:24] Speaker 1: Okay, now what I've done here is you guys ain't
[40:28] Speaker 1: like this. I haven't seen a single Paul Thomas Anderson movie.
[40:32] Speaker 2: You have Boogi Knights.
[40:33] Speaker 1: I haven't said I've said this the other way. I
[40:34] Speaker 1: haven't seen BOOKI Knights, haven't seen any of them. Didn't
[40:37] Speaker 1: even know who Paul Thomas Anderson was until you roote
[40:39] Speaker 1: this in root this when you wrote this into the
[40:43] Speaker 1: podcast Rundown. So what I've done, I've changed tax a
[40:47] Speaker 1: little bit. I've gone my five favorite Paul Thomas or
[40:50] Speaker 1: Anderson's in the world people starting because he's got three
[40:54] Speaker 1: first names which you could never trust him. Five Paul
[40:57] Speaker 1: McCartney obviously the Beatles lead singer. What a great talent
[41:01] Speaker 1: for Thomas Edison Aventure of the light Bulb. Yeah, I
[41:03] Speaker 1: mean without him, where would we be. We've been in
[41:06] Speaker 1: the we'd literally be in the dark. Number three Tom Eisenheath,
[41:11] Speaker 1: the Bearded Neck. The Bearded Neck retired but former Storm
[41:14] Speaker 1: and Dragon's player. Excellent talent, one of the great wrestlers,
[41:17] Speaker 1: extremely strong.
[41:17] Speaker 5: Rated ninety eight on Rugby League Live, the new one correct.
[41:21] Speaker 1: Number two Ga gran Anderson eighteenth man for the Storm
[41:24] Speaker 1: this week gran Anderson buck to Billy from Newcastle Shadow.
[41:28] Speaker 5: Unlikely not to be playing too. He's had a good
[41:29] Speaker 5: few years, good.
[41:30] Speaker 2: Talent and I believe as well.
[41:32] Speaker 1: And he's had a missus for a very long time.
[41:34] Speaker 1: All right, have you breaken it up?
[41:35] Speaker 5: No?
[41:35] Speaker 1: No, no, no yet. But he's going up to the
[41:37] Speaker 1: Broncos next year. So Shadow and number one, Tom Hardy,
[41:41] Speaker 1: Thomas Hardy, Yeah great.
[41:43] Speaker 4: My last little thing on Paul Thomas Anderson the movie
[41:46] Speaker 4: Boogie Knights, and that was that was That came out
[41:50] Speaker 4: in nineteen ninety seven. In nineteen eighty eight, his first
[41:55] Speaker 4: film venture was a short movie called The Dirk Diglas Story,
[41:59] Speaker 4: and then ten years later he Boogie Nights. I'll start
[42:03] Speaker 4: I might. I'll give a few of them a watch
[42:05] Speaker 4: because I curbs. I will sit with you and watch
[42:09] Speaker 4: Boogie Knights. Such a good watch, amazing movie.
[42:12] Speaker 5: It's like watching super Bad for the first time.
[42:14] Speaker 1: No way, Yeah, I wish I could. There are some
[42:17] Speaker 1: movies I wish I could go back for the first
[42:18] Speaker 1: time and just rewind with virgin eyes. Yeah, it must
[42:21] Speaker 1: be a thing of beauty. I have a quiz for
[42:25] Speaker 1: us today. Okay, excellent, How are you on a check?
[42:28] Speaker 1: I've got to do someone else talk talking.
[42:31] Speaker 3: If anyone can remember my peaking duck joke that I
[42:35] Speaker 3: told I think it was last year, would you mind
[42:38] Speaker 3: sending me a message through Instagram and retelling it too,
[42:42] Speaker 3: because I've forgotten it now I've had a request for it.
[42:44] Speaker 5: I think if you can't remember, they're going to remember Yeah.
[42:47] Speaker 3: People have been retelling that over and over again.
[42:50] Speaker 1: Two people, respectfully, all your jokes, I haven't. I don't
[42:53] Speaker 1: think there's been a joke you've told that we've laughed at.
[42:57] Speaker 3: No other people have laughed at her. So you are
[42:59] Speaker 3: not the broad spectrum of humans. You're quite a narrow
[43:03] Speaker 3: niche group Cooper's quiz.
[43:04] Speaker 1: So let me just remind you of the rules of
[43:06] Speaker 1: this one. I give you a category. You guys, bid
[43:08] Speaker 1: on how many do you think you can do within
[43:10] Speaker 1: a minute? And then and then the highest bidder has
[43:14] Speaker 1: to actually do it? Okay. The first category I have
[43:16] Speaker 1: today aquatic animals.
[43:19] Speaker 5: Yes, I'm going with six, quite a lot.
[43:23] Speaker 2: I'll go twelve.
[43:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, TJ have you got to.
[43:29] Speaker 2: Anytime? Twenty? She got it? Yeah?
[43:34] Speaker 3: Okay?
