[0:24] Speaker 2: last night.
[0:26] Speaker 1: What the water?
[0:29] Speaker 3: Do you know?
[0:29] Speaker 1: It is weird though, that holiday period you forget, like
[0:32] Speaker 1: from Christmas because there was a midweek Christmas and midwek
[0:35] Speaker 1: New Year's and you think, oh, what a good Saturday
[0:38] Speaker 1: that was. But then two days later it's Saturday and
[0:40] Speaker 1: you feel like.
[0:40] Speaker 2: You've got to drink again, feel like you've got to
[0:42] Speaker 2: go again. Yeah, but that's what it's called the festive.
[0:45] Speaker 2: That's what's the festive seeds, and it's fun. It's Festivus
[0:48] Speaker 2: for the rest of USh, festivities, fun and frivolity. I'll
[0:54] Speaker 2: drink that side of what's coming twenty twenty six. It's
[0:56] Speaker 2: going to be a boom year.
[0:57] Speaker 1: Certainly is we'll enjoy this episode some of our good
[1:01] Speaker 1: stuff from the past, and we're back next.

[1:08] Speaker 2: plenty going on. Trusha is going to make her debut
[1:11] Speaker 2: as a stand up comedian. Well, we've got things like
[1:14] Speaker 2: my nightmare trip to Newcastle. Seriously, people, it's a warning
[1:20] Speaker 2: for you all talking about getting naked in saunas. Stuff
[1:24] Speaker 2: like that. Lots of good stuff, mate, And the theme
[1:28] Speaker 2: this week, which I really enjoyed doing, is the year
[1:31] Speaker 2: nineteen eighty six. Cooper John's, Jack Johns, Patricia Johns, welcome
[1:37] Speaker 2: you all.
[1:37] Speaker 1: Thank you very much. Good to be here, good to

[1:41] Speaker 4: It's nice having you. And we've been recorded.
[1:45] Speaker 2: Being recorded because a as we said going forward, promised
[1:48] Speaker 2: we're going to We're going to be filmed set, so
[1:49] Speaker 2: they we're doing a trial run, which is why triushas
[1:52] Speaker 2: wearing makeup. I yes, as I said, I'm.
[1:56] Speaker 4: Not doing think about the wrinkles back on.
[1:59] Speaker 2: Need I like the rough and ready. Look here you are.
[2:03] Speaker 3: Jack John's good, Matthew, I'm good. Just come back from
[2:07] Speaker 3: a long trip from Canberra yesterday and I've relaxed clean
[2:11] Speaker 3: the apartmenter done some washing. I'm growing up man.
[2:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good.
[2:17] Speaker 1: That's good about time.
[2:18] Speaker 2: Yeah with the Knights, they were in front there for
[2:21] Speaker 2: a second, but well run run down on the post.
[2:26] Speaker 2: It's consistent. Now, good people, As as I introduce you all,
[2:31] Speaker 2: if you were a dating app Jack John's, which would
[2:33] Speaker 2: you be?
[2:35] Speaker 3: I went with Bumble Copper. It's a it's a made
[2:39] Speaker 3: for women by women. They have a zero tolerance policy.
[2:44] Speaker 3: I quite like this. I've seen some Tinder situations go
[2:48] Speaker 3: very south, very quickly. It's always good to have have
[2:51] Speaker 3: a lockdown protocol. So I've gone with Bumble is there? Jack?
[2:56] Speaker 2: Can I just ask you a question to you and
[2:58] Speaker 2: cooper it with dating app? Right up? Now, let's let's
[3:02] Speaker 2: pretend Trish goes bang and hits on a dating app
[3:05] Speaker 2: and turns up at say the Monavol Hotel to catch
[3:08] Speaker 2: up with a guy, and you look Trish and he
[3:10] Speaker 2: doesn't look anything.
[3:11] Speaker 5: Like which happens often.
[3:13] Speaker 1: Yes, that's known as catfish.
[3:15] Speaker 2: What you just go missing?
[3:17] Speaker 1: No? No, no, it's known as a catfish. So if
[3:18] Speaker 1: I put photos up of say big m Mattie John's
[3:22] Speaker 1: on my profile, so girl, yeah, and they can well,
[3:25] Speaker 1: although they'd probably be more excited to be with me.
[3:28] Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm sure they would.
[3:29] Speaker 1: I'm known as catfish because I don't look at my photos,
[3:32] Speaker 1: which it happens a lot. They can't know anything, does it.
[3:35] Speaker 5: Have they picked a picture up from twenty years ago?
[3:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, also a little dishonest, same thing as Catfish.
[3:41] Speaker 2: I had a mate who on his Tinder profile put
[3:44] Speaker 2: a photo of himself up from when he used to
[3:46] Speaker 2: be executive producer on a TV show in the nineteen eighties.
[3:49] Speaker 2: I said, mate, I.
[3:50] Speaker 6: Know exactly, yes, yes, yes.
[3:54] Speaker 2: Good show, the midday Show. Now what are you Cooba John's.
[3:58] Speaker 1: I had our Tinder because it used to be cool
[4:01] Speaker 1: when dating apps first sort of come out when we
[4:03] Speaker 1: were young. But now the only people you'll find on
[4:06] Speaker 1: it is desperates and a lot of.
[4:08] Speaker 2: Old people, really old people on Tender old.
[4:11] Speaker 1: People disguising themselves as young people.
[4:14] Speaker 2: So it's like, oh, yeah, you used to see that
[4:16] Speaker 2: with brands, like people in the eighties went Mad and
[4:19] Speaker 2: the early nineties for Nike, and then for while they're young,
[4:22] Speaker 2: people wouldn't wear Nikes because they're basically their parents were
[4:26] Speaker 2: wear in them all the time. Things discussed.
[4:27] Speaker 5: That's why I don't do Facebook. Really old people use it.
[4:33] Speaker 4: Okay, Okay, mine's a little bit long winded, but bear
[4:38] Speaker 4: with me. Mine is a plenty of fish because a
[4:41] Speaker 4: friend of mine actually sent me the following profile of
[4:44] Speaker 4: a fellow that really tickled my fancy that I'd like
[4:46] Speaker 4: to share with you all. Okay, So within his profile
[4:49] Speaker 4: he goes experts dictate that I should write something really
[4:52] Speaker 4: interesting that makes me look like I do things that
[4:55] Speaker 4: are really fun and exciting and romantic. For instance, sun
[4:59] Speaker 4: serve like the wind of my hair. However, I'm bored,
[5:02] Speaker 4: I can't swim, and I suffer badly from skin cancers.
[5:07] Speaker 4: They say you should mention things like fine dining and
[5:10] Speaker 4: grape wine, but I'm in a strict diet, being morbidly obese,
[5:14] Speaker 4: and are recovering alcoholic.
[5:16] Speaker 6: Yes, yes, you should.
[5:17] Speaker 4: Say things like I love going to the cinema and
[5:19] Speaker 4: watching the movies. However, I suffer from a merculate degeneration
[5:23] Speaker 4: and I'm deaf in one here, so I cart here
[5:27] Speaker 4: from the other one?
[5:28] Speaker 1: Is this all one profile?
[5:29] Speaker 5: Yeah, this is this guy's profile. She actually showed it
[5:32] Speaker 5: to me on the weekend.
[5:33] Speaker 4: So then he goes on to say, if you're looking
[5:34] Speaker 4: for someone with personality, then you're in luck.
[5:36] Speaker 2: I have many I have many friends.
[5:41] Speaker 4: I enjoy long romantic walks to the fridge and very
[5:44] Speaker 4: fluent in sarcasm.
[5:47] Speaker 5: Not into one night stands. I'm into many nightstands.
[5:51] Speaker 4: You picked your best photo for POF and so did I.
[5:55] Speaker 4: Let's meet up and be mutually disappointed. How could you
[5:58] Speaker 4: not like him?
[6:00] Speaker 2: Phil Bailey?
[6:00] Speaker 5: He's a night supporter.
[6:01] Speaker 1: That's all.
[6:02] Speaker 6: I can give you good.
[6:03] Speaker 2: Stuff, good stuff you might get a start with. Am
[6:06] Speaker 2: I here put a bit of beef into the pack.
[6:11] Speaker 2: I've got Puppy Lovers who are a sponsor of s
[6:15] Speaker 2: and radio show.
[6:16] Speaker 6: It's for dating.
[6:17] Speaker 2: It's a it's a hookup for people who love dogs.
[6:20] Speaker 2: So it's basically dating, but doggie style. Now, guys, see, Trish,
[6:27] Speaker 2: that's a lesson. You know you can.
[6:29] Speaker 5: Just you do you an altimate?
[6:34] Speaker 1: Is Poppy Lovers old or new?
[6:36] Speaker 2: That's new?
[6:36] Speaker 1: Okay? Your one sounded old? What was that?
[6:39] Speaker 2: Fish? Never heard of fish?
[6:41] Speaker 5: And plenty of fish?
[6:42] Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm confused his Puppy Lovers? Is that like a
[6:46] Speaker 3: dog dating service?
[6:47] Speaker 4: No, it's a dating service for people with dogs and
[6:50] Speaker 4: who love dogs, which I think is a really important thing.
[6:52] Speaker 2: Yeah, because there's been people who remember of our family
[6:55] Speaker 2: who went out with girls, one girl in particular who
[6:59] Speaker 2: hated animals and her and hated you kids too, and
[7:03] Speaker 2: hated me with an absolute passion. Didn't worry. It was mutual. Okay. Now, guys,
[7:10] Speaker 2: choose the steed up routine, which is coming a little like,
[7:13] Speaker 2: can you just explain to us the nature of this competition?
[7:17] Speaker 4: Okay, it's a challenge amongst the family. Each of us
[7:20] Speaker 4: are required every two weeks, just for one turn each
[7:25] Speaker 4: to do a sixty to ninety second stand up routine
[7:29] Speaker 4: that you have to write yourself, research, rite, and present yourself.
[7:32] Speaker 2: You've really worked out on this three weeks so hard.
[7:35] Speaker 4: And one of my lovely Instagram friends, listening to me
[7:39] Speaker 4: the other week when I keep referring to rotten tomatoes
[7:42] Speaker 4: as rotten potatoes, suggested that we should do our own
[7:45] Speaker 4: rotten potatoes rating on each of them. So on our
[7:50] Speaker 4: each of our social media. Maybe the Monday, because some
[7:53] Speaker 4: people don't listen to our podcast till over the weekend
[7:55] Speaker 4: or even early the following week, we'll put up a
[7:58] Speaker 4: thing where there's a all I don't know what the
[8:01] Speaker 4: limitations are with it, so we might do a year, No,
[8:05] Speaker 4: so that we get a rotten potatoes rating.
[8:08] Speaker 2: Was at the scene up routine you just did? Then? Okay,
[8:13] Speaker 2: nine to eighty six the year God Trish brings is
[8:16] Speaker 2: Remember the Blue Light discos? Got out of the Blue
[8:17] Speaker 2: Light discos. We're talking to me.
[8:19] Speaker 5: Spoke about that a few weeks, Yeah, we're.
[8:20] Speaker 2: Talking about it. No one danced the Blue Light Disco.
[8:23] Speaker 2: Everyone just walked in in clockwise direction like a whirlpool,
[8:27] Speaker 2: and anyone who started to dance, people would drag them
[8:29] Speaker 2: out and beat them up. Told me the other day
[8:30] Speaker 2: I got beaten up by two older guys. I was
[8:32] Speaker 2: in the Midnight All shirt and unfortunately there and Phil
[8:34] Speaker 2: Colin's shirts.
[8:36] Speaker 3: It's that doesn't sound right?
[8:40] Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought the other week when you told that
[8:41] Speaker 5: story it.
[8:42] Speaker 6: Was the reverse.
[8:42] Speaker 2: No, it was. They went up and said what's that shirt?
[8:44] Speaker 2: And I had a US Forces ten to one shirt
[8:48] Speaker 2: which was big at the time. Mid Not Oil and
[8:50] Speaker 2: I went to mid Not Oil and they said we
[8:51] Speaker 2: hate mid Not Oil and they had Genesis shirts on
[8:53] Speaker 2: and they proceeded to take me out and give me
[8:55] Speaker 2: a bit of a beat up. It's a low point
[8:57] Speaker 2: in your life and you get beat up by Phil Collins. Fen.
[9:00] Speaker 3: Yeah, especially if you're a midnight oil fan. Peter Garrett
[9:03] Speaker 3: would be filthy with me.
[9:04] Speaker 2: He would absolutely, you.
[9:06] Speaker 4: Know when you talk about midnight Oil and US forces.
[9:09] Speaker 4: What came to my mind immediately was watching Wayne Pearce
[9:14] Speaker 4: and his band. I'm quite sure what they're talking. Remember
[9:17] Speaker 4: we were down at the Cholori Beaches Club and he
[9:20] Speaker 4: just call me.
[9:21] Speaker 2: It was very good.
[9:21] Speaker 5: He was so good.
[9:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, they have midnight Oil cover band.
[9:24] Speaker 2: No, no, he just does.
[9:26] Speaker 1: He just eighteen.
[9:27] Speaker 5: But he pulled it.
[9:28] Speaker 4: He put on a ball cap specifically for that and
[9:31] Speaker 4: danced like Peter Garrett.
[9:33] Speaker 5: You know what, Matt, What.
[9:35] Speaker 4: You failed to mention to people was the reason that
[9:37] Speaker 4: we chose nineteen eighty six for this week was.
[9:39] Speaker 5: That Top Gone was the nineteen with the number.
[9:43] Speaker 6: Stop took Good Stop the.
[9:46] Speaker 4: Number one movie back in nineteen eighty six, and now
[9:49] Speaker 4: Top Gun Maverick is here in twenty twenty two, and
[9:53] Speaker 4: Kate Bush's running up that hill is number one at
[9:56] Speaker 4: the moment. Although when I dug a little deeper, it
[10:00] Speaker 4: actually came out in nineteen eighty five.
[10:03] Speaker 2: Trish, Trish numbers, Trish do can I just can make
[10:07] Speaker 2: suggestions to you when it comes to podcasting that just
[10:09] Speaker 2: don't worry about the tiny little specifics. If you're going
[10:12] Speaker 2: to go with Kate Bush, just go with Kate Bush.
[10:14] Speaker 2: Don't worry the fact that it's missed by a month
[10:16] Speaker 2: or two.
[10:16] Speaker 4: Okay, Well, we're running in parallel universes and they're both okay, right.
[10:21] Speaker 2: Let's move on to what is the best comedy of
[10:24] Speaker 2: nine eighty six? Jack John's mate.
[10:26] Speaker 3: I've gone with First Bueller's Day Off.
[10:29] Speaker 2: I think that is.
[10:31] Speaker 3: I think that's one of the best movies ever, let
[10:34] Speaker 3: alone just that year. What was the actors names?
[10:38] Speaker 2: Actually that's Threw Broderick.
[10:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, what was he? Was he anything else?
[10:43] Speaker 2: I've done lots of babies in the eighties.
[10:44] Speaker 3: Yeah, Godzilla, Godzilla nineteen ninety nine one.
[10:48] Speaker 2: I think he had a very did he have a
[10:50] Speaker 2: very bad car accident?
[10:51] Speaker 4: I believe he's married to Sarah Jessica Parker. Her career
[10:57] Speaker 4: was so projecting. Yeah, that's what he's married to.
[11:00] Speaker 7: And still Sex and the City because in that movie
[11:05] Speaker 7: there was Alan Ruck who was his best made in it,
[11:07] Speaker 7: and also Jennifer Gray from Dirty Dancing as well.
[11:11] Speaker 4: You know they're redoing Dirty Dancing Shocked seems so shocked
[11:15] Speaker 4: by that.
[11:15] Speaker 2: Mate. I just I think it's a mistake doing redoing
[11:20] Speaker 2: Doty dancing. I think it's a real mistake.
[11:22] Speaker 1: All just for Patrick Swat, I agree with you, you know,
[11:27] Speaker 1: talking about Sarah Jessica Parker. I was watching Ricky Gervais
[11:31] Speaker 1: one of his Golden Globes intros the other day, and
[11:34] Speaker 1: one of his initial jokes was, he goes, you know,
[11:37] Speaker 1: he was talking about the Award for Special Effects. He goes,
[11:40] Speaker 1: I can't believe that the Golden Globe didn't go to
[11:43] Speaker 1: the team that airbrushed The Sex and the City because
[11:47] Speaker 1: when their most modern movie came out, and he's like, ladies,
[11:49] Speaker 1: we know how old you are. I don't need to
[11:51] Speaker 1: try to lie about that.
[11:53] Speaker 2: Oh God, he's good. God Rotten Tomatoes on on Ferris Buela's.
[12:01] Speaker 3: Day Off, it's I think it's it's high eighties.
[12:05] Speaker 2: Eighty one percent. Actually not that one. Roger Ibber the
[12:09] Speaker 2: critics critic. He gave it three out of four stars,
[12:12] Speaker 2: cost five me and made seventy million.
[12:15] Speaker 1: Cob John's I actually went with another classic, The Three Amigos. Wow, Yeah,
[12:21] Speaker 1: Chevy Chase, who are the other two? Inner?
[12:23] Speaker 6: Martin Short and Steve Steve Martin.
[12:27] Speaker 1: Yeah right, and you know the what's the the handshake
[12:31] Speaker 1: they used to go, Yeah, that one Joshadow Carr and
[12:35] Speaker 1: our strength and conditioner Dan de Pascual, they used to
[12:38] Speaker 1: have that. They used to have that handshake. So they
[12:40] Speaker 1: go cross cross and then they thrust into each other
[12:43] Speaker 1: before every gym session.
[12:44] Speaker 2: I don't know how I feel about that, just say
[12:47] Speaker 2: just quickly on the Fox. God, God damn it. What
[12:50] Speaker 2: they they had to pick him for the state of origin,
[12:54] Speaker 2: for the personality, but also made the last two weeks
[12:56] Speaker 2: after they just won't be missing out the first time made.
[12:58] Speaker 2: He's been on fire back career best form anyway, that's
[13:01] Speaker 2: my wins.
[13:02] Speaker 1: It's three amigos, forty five percent rotten tomatoes, are you
[13:05] Speaker 1: kidding me? Six point five out of ten out on
[13:08] Speaker 1: IMDb and made thirty nine million in the box office.
[13:13] Speaker 2: Right, Steve Martin and Martin short their best mates, and
[13:15] Speaker 2: they do They do tours together right across America. I
[13:19] Speaker 2: think different ones speaking speakings here they are speaking gigs,
[13:22] Speaker 2: stand up comedy routines. It's no they get up and
[13:25] Speaker 2: they sort of talk through their careers together.
[13:27] Speaker 4: It's good with comedy, Okay, I went Crocodile Dundee, of course, can.
[13:33] Speaker 5: You miss that?
[13:33] Speaker 4: Like that was the greatest Australian comedy apart from Castle
[13:37] Speaker 4: or On.
[13:38] Speaker 2: Actually I think it's the greatest Australian movie a certainly
[13:42] Speaker 2: as far as gross.
[13:43] Speaker 4: Takings, well it on Rotten Potatoes got eighty nine percent,
[13:49] Speaker 4: so I mean that's pretty high by any standards. And
[13:52] Speaker 4: in the US it made one hundred and sixty nine million.
[13:55] Speaker 2: Ended up making Trish Old.
[13:57] Speaker 5: I'm sure it's a lot more than that four hundred million.
[13:59] Speaker 2: Now, well he might costate me into make and I'll
[14:03] Speaker 2: tell you what it did. It was an incredible money
[14:05] Speaker 2: spinner for Australia because I sparked a decade where Australia
[14:10] Speaker 2: Americans just wanted to come to Australia. Australia. It sort
[14:13] Speaker 2: of sparked the thing where Australia became a huge brand.
[14:18] Speaker 4: Although I think of Living Newton John had sort of
[14:19] Speaker 4: sparked it originally with her Kohala.
[14:22] Speaker 5: Blue and stuff. But yeah, this totally fit it.
[14:24] Speaker 3: That.
[14:25] Speaker 5: Can I tell you what my worst one was?
[14:27] Speaker 4: Yep, and I thought it was I was with you,
[14:29] Speaker 4: But if it's nineteen eighty six, I didn't even know.
[14:31] Speaker 5: You Little Shop of Horrors. I walked out of it.
[14:36] Speaker 1: It's of it.
[14:37] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's only one of two movies in my life
[14:40] Speaker 4: I've walked out of what was second one.
[14:42] Speaker 5: It was a it was a war.
[14:43] Speaker 4: Movie and it got really gruesome and I just couldn't
[14:46] Speaker 4: cope with it. I was feeling quite emotional. I ran, however,
[14:50] Speaker 4: Little Shop of Horrors ninety on rotten Tomatoes. I don't
[14:55] Speaker 4: know there's something.
[14:55] Speaker 5: Wrong with it?
[14:57] Speaker 2: Is I quite like it?
[14:58] Speaker 6: Feed feed me see Moore?
[14:59] Speaker 3: Yet morandus didn't he and didn't he finish his career
[15:02] Speaker 3: and go look after his kids after his wife passed
[15:05] Speaker 3: or something else?
[15:05] Speaker 5: I think we did. He was a Canadian, right, We've
[15:08] Speaker 5: spoken about this before.
[15:09] Speaker 2: Yeah, he was in Ghostbusters as well.
[15:11] Speaker 3: Yeah, honey, the kids and all that.
[15:13] Speaker 2: Oh, it's just endless. I've gone Rodney Dangerfield's Back to
[15:16] Speaker 2: School because I actually had first Buller's Day off first
[15:19] Speaker 2: of all. But I thought I knew something. I had
[15:21] Speaker 2: a feeling Jack was going to pinch it. So Rodney
[15:24] Speaker 2: danger Field Back to School eighty six percent rotten tomatoes.
[15:27] Speaker 2: Rodney danger Field. Sally Kellerman who Trish was hot Lips Hulahan.
[15:32] Speaker 2: She was in it. Robert Downey Junior was in it.
[15:34] Speaker 2: Roger Eva gave it three out of four stars. Cost
[15:37] Speaker 2: eleven million, made ninety one million, and its sequel, but
[15:41] Speaker 2: Back to School Too is probably the worst movie of
[15:44] Speaker 2: all time, up there with Grease Too.
[15:46] Speaker 1: Now feedback Karate Kid three is who mate, it's so bad,
[15:52] Speaker 1: it's awesome. What's the villain with the ponytail?
[15:55] Speaker 3: Oh?
[15:56] Speaker 2: My god?
[15:56] Speaker 1: The villain with the ponytail? He makes a return in
[15:59] Speaker 1: Cobra Kai in the latest season, and it's so funny
[16:03] Speaker 1: because he had like jet black hair and now he's
[16:05] Speaker 1: jet gray hair. Oh, and he's he's even a worse
[16:08] Speaker 1: bloke than he was.
[16:10] Speaker 4: Can I ask you guys something? It was in my feedback,
[16:12] Speaker 4: but I'm going to ask while we're on comedies. My
[16:16] Speaker 4: friend Jimmy wants to know have you boys seen Land
[16:19] Speaker 4: of the Lost?
[16:20] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[16:21] Speaker 4: Okay, he wants your opinion on it because he thought
[16:23] Speaker 4: it was hilarious but it got a really bad Rotten
[16:25] Speaker 4: Tomato score and when I checked it was only twenty
[16:27] Speaker 4: six percent.
[16:28] Speaker 2: I loved it.
[16:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's one of Will Ferrell's Yeah, right,
[16:32] Speaker 1: really good ones. Okay, you know who else is in it?
[16:34] Speaker 1: Danny McBride who does east Bound and Down, and it
[16:38] Speaker 1: is so funny. They sing, there's there's a scene in
[16:42] Speaker 1: it where they sing do you Believe by Share? And
[16:45] Speaker 1: it's so good, so funny.
[16:47] Speaker 2: I've been listening to the Ron Burgundy podcast of Late
[16:51] Speaker 2: Oh my god, it's so weird, but.
[16:53] Speaker 1: It's so funny. Podcasting ro that would be is because
[17:01] Speaker 1: I used to listen to it a couple of years ago.
[17:02] Speaker 1: When you tip me into it. But does he still
[17:04] Speaker 1: make you? Listened to old episodes? Are they new one?
[17:06] Speaker 2: New ones? Young people? And it's so the one he
[17:09] Speaker 2: did the other and this this is really I mean,
[17:11] Speaker 2: this sounds really juvenile, but it's just my sense of humor.
[17:14] Speaker 2: You know that book Five People You Meet in Heaven?
[17:17] Speaker 2: He was certainly there's a book called five in Heaven
[17:19] Speaker 2: he goes. I was reading a book and I thought,
[17:22] Speaker 2: am I to do my own list of ten people
[17:23] Speaker 2: I want to meet in heaven? And he has people
[17:26] Speaker 2: like Lassie and Yoda.
[17:30] Speaker 5: Anyway, that's a great topic. Actually I didn't do that.
[17:33] Speaker 1: We should do our own one next week.
[17:35] Speaker 5: What's the book? What's the book's premise?
[17:37] Speaker 2: I don't know. Someone goes to heaven there's five people
[17:40] Speaker 2: who's keen to meet there. I have actually got no idea.
[17:42] Speaker 2: It's a bestseller, but can we do it?
[17:44] Speaker 3: Can we do our top three?
[17:45] Speaker 2: Now?
[17:46] Speaker 3: Would we be able to off the top of our head?
[17:49] Speaker 2: Fate? Jack? You give us a teaser of yours will
[17:51] Speaker 2: be next week?
[17:52] Speaker 3: Give us one kick off with Barry Gibb.
[17:56] Speaker 2: Work wonderful.
[17:58] Speaker 3: He's not dead.
[17:59] Speaker 2: I hope someone left is the one remaining. I still
[18:04] Speaker 2: want to find out from the Redcliffe Dolphins.
[18:06] Speaker 5: Look at you, Jack? That was That was a harmed dinger.
[18:10] Speaker 2: What I just waiting to hear from the Dolphins? From
[18:14] Speaker 2: Wayne if you could speak to him, Jack, I honestly
[18:16] Speaker 2: believe that the Redcliffe Dolphins don't come with the n
[18:19] Speaker 2: r L. Their mascot should be Barry Gibb, a Barry
[18:21] Speaker 2: Gibbon personator that every time they scored a try runs
[18:24] Speaker 2: on the field and dances, because I mean that's where
[18:26] Speaker 2: they're from, Redcliffe, red Cliff Cliff boys.
[18:29] Speaker 1: Yes, but I mean it's got nothing to do with
[18:31] Speaker 1: a dolphin, but.
[18:32] Speaker 2: It's the area name for that would be the best mascot.
[18:37] Speaker 1: Redcliff, red Cliffs. Actually about the Redcliffe Gibbons, well.
[18:46] Speaker 3: They aren't even called They're just the Dolphins, aren't they
[18:50] Speaker 3: They're not read Yeah, I think that's a miss This
[18:54] Speaker 3: is my opinion.
[18:55] Speaker 2: I think that's a mistake. I think we've ruly been
[18:56] Speaker 2: a tribal game. I don't see anything wrong with them
[18:59] Speaker 2: being called the Morton Bay Dolphins or or the Recliffe Dolphins,
[19:05] Speaker 2: because it represents the here where you're from. The big
[19:07] Speaker 2: mistake was Super Rugby was they dropped the names like
[19:10] Speaker 2: Auckland Blues. They're just the Blues, the Reds, the South
[19:13] Speaker 2: African size. I had no idea where they're from the
[19:15] Speaker 2: Lions and the Texans and the Rams, so on and
[19:19] Speaker 2: so forth. Guys, can I just get down the way?
[19:22] Speaker 2: Here's really just irking me?
[19:23] Speaker 5: And by the way, are you looking at me when.
[19:27] Speaker 2: On the stand up comedy thing you've got plan? I've
[19:29] Speaker 2: got a feeling, the looming feeling of unfair bias coming
[19:33] Speaker 2: from your Instagram friends, so to speak. They are an
[19:36] Speaker 2: angry mob, and I can see them rallying support around
[19:39] Speaker 2: Trisians because I'm really engaging with them.
[19:43] Speaker 3: Can anyone else see Trisha as the leader of an
[19:45] Speaker 3: angry mob?
[19:47] Speaker 2: I actually can. I can totally see.
[19:52] Speaker 5: Are you saying you can. I thought you're on my
[19:55] Speaker 5: side for a second.
[19:56] Speaker 3: No, no, no, nor.
[19:59] Speaker 2: None of the I just wanted to make it off
[20:03] Speaker 2: my chest. Here the trip to Newcastle through the week
[20:05] Speaker 2: we went on the weekend, doubled up and went up
[20:08] Speaker 2: there for a bit of a speaking gig myself and
[20:10] Speaker 2: deal with my brother Andrew, which is always an experience.
[20:13] Speaker 2: Dear Lord. Anyway, We're driving up there and I hit
[20:17] Speaker 2: a pothole just before we get onto the highway and
[20:19] Speaker 2: about forty kilometers outside in Newcastle, suddenly my tire goes
[20:23] Speaker 2: completely flat and I'm driving forty kilometers on the highway
[20:27] Speaker 2: with my hazard lights on as truckies are going past,
[20:31] Speaker 2: just screaming at me.
[20:32] Speaker 5: Yes, what did you do?
[20:34] Speaker 2: Okay? I rang Trish and girl, mate, I've got to
[20:36] Speaker 2: fight tire. What aren't we going to do if she
[20:37] Speaker 2: goes pull over and I can't pull over to give
[20:39] Speaker 2: be late? I'm speaking gig.
[20:41] Speaker 5: So I'm in Melbourne and he's ringing me asking you
[20:44] Speaker 5: what to do.
[20:45] Speaker 6: I'm like, mate, I'm in Melbourne, what did you okay?
[20:48] Speaker 2: So what I did? Thank God? From are electricious sister?
[20:51] Speaker 5: Hang on? Who lined that up for you too?
[20:53] Speaker 2: Well?
[20:55] Speaker 5: The tire place.
[20:56] Speaker 6: Let him have a go get puncture the other week.
[21:00] Speaker 2: Okay, So I parted to Morella's place. By the time
[21:03] Speaker 2: I got there, there was this massive hole in the tire.
[21:05] Speaker 2: Right now, people, this is where it gets me furious.
[21:10] Speaker 2: I'm absolutely okay, Patrisha. So what happens next? We called
[21:16] Speaker 2: the organization who comes and gets our car.
[21:19] Speaker 4: It's the vehicle roadside assist for the actual make of car.
[21:23] Speaker 4: Don't do it, people, don't do it.
[21:24] Speaker 2: Do not do it. So the person we call him, yep,
[21:27] Speaker 2: he'll be there in an hour. I leave. I have
[21:29] Speaker 2: to go hot tailor to go to do this speaking gig.
[21:33] Speaker 2: I leave the keys. When Marella the guy comes and
[21:35] Speaker 2: picks it up. He's taken it to the service center.
[21:38] Speaker 2: It's a flat tire, I reckon. By the end of
[21:40] Speaker 2: my speaking to a tire point two hours, I should
[21:43] Speaker 2: be able to pick it up. Right, So finish the
[21:45] Speaker 2: speaking gig. Give him a call. Hey, guys, is it
[21:48] Speaker 2: okay to pick up my tire? Ah, it's not ready yet.
[21:51] Speaker 2: They haven't had a look at it. Oh look, I
[21:53] Speaker 2: had a bit of a look at it. It's just
[21:54] Speaker 2: a flat tire. Oh yeah, but they want to put
[21:56] Speaker 2: it up on the hoist. Okay, I'll call you back
[21:58] Speaker 2: in an hour, ring back in an hour. The boys
[22:00] Speaker 2: have gone home early today. Great, okay, well it is
[22:04] Speaker 2: my car ready. No, no, they haven't a chance to
[22:06] Speaker 2: put it up on the hoist.
[22:08] Speaker 1: Listen.
[22:10] Speaker 2: I'm more than happy for someone just to change the tire.
[22:12] Speaker 2: I really don't think you have to check the whole
[22:14] Speaker 2: car rut. No, no, they want to do it. And
[22:15] Speaker 2: I said, well, I'm going to give out Sydney night.
[22:17] Speaker 2: They said, well, you'll have to get back there your
[22:19] Speaker 2: own way and we'll have to organize it. I've gone
[22:21] Speaker 2: what so anyway, I stayed at Morella's that night and I.
[22:25] Speaker 1: Said to stay.
[22:26] Speaker 2: You did stay?
[22:28] Speaker 1: Can I ask you, just just before you're getting the
[22:30] Speaker 1: next part of have you ever changed the tire in you?
[22:32] Speaker 2: Yes? I have lots of time.
[22:33] Speaker 1: Did you have a spare tire? In the book?
[22:34] Speaker 5: He nearly killed himself the time he did it.
[22:36] Speaker 6: He got under it, and yeah, it wasn't good.
[22:39] Speaker 5: It was when we were dating.
[22:40] Speaker 4: And then his brother went to help him and he said,
[22:42] Speaker 4: oh my god, he nearly killed himself.
[22:44] Speaker 5: I said, never again, did.
[22:45] Speaker 1: You Did you have one in the Bootlober?
[22:47] Speaker 2: I know it didn't.
[22:47] Speaker 5: But wait for this No, because this car has a
[22:49] Speaker 5: run flat. It doesn't have a speed tire in so
[22:52] Speaker 5: even if he did, he couldn't.
[22:53] Speaker 2: Have done it. And these with the modern cars, the
[22:56] Speaker 2: spare tires aren't easy. They get they come into like
[22:58] Speaker 2: a matchbox and you've got them apart. It is impossible.
[23:02] Speaker 2: Rather lage box as tiny. It's this tiny little box
[23:06] Speaker 2: and you're going that can't be the speed tire. You
[23:08] Speaker 2: have to pull it out like unfurl it. You have
[23:11] Speaker 2: to be, honestly a nuclear scientist. Do even know how
[23:15] Speaker 2: to play this conning up? Believe me. We're on the
[23:17] Speaker 2: highway and when they down to Canberra and I'll sit
[23:19] Speaker 2: there wait for our hours. So wait for so anyway,
[23:22] Speaker 2: So I say to that one and said, okay, So
[23:24] Speaker 2: I'm staying at my sister Lawa Morella by the way,
[23:26] Speaker 2: incredibly comfy bed. I've stayedium, not Morella's bed, right, it
[23:30] Speaker 2: was so I did not sleep with Trisha's sister. We
[23:32] Speaker 2: don't do that anymore anyway. So what time do you
[23:36] Speaker 2: thinkly ready? The next day? I'll have an answer. The
[23:38] Speaker 2: people coming in at eight o'clock should be ready by nine.
[23:41] Speaker 2: At eleven thirty people at eleven thirty. We call and
[23:46] Speaker 2: so I said, look, look, any chance of this car,
[23:49] Speaker 2: this tire being ready. They haven't had a look at it.
[23:52] Speaker 6: Yet, and we just said, look, it was ridiculous.
[23:56] Speaker 2: I'm hidden it. I'm going to head in there at
[23:58] Speaker 2: one o'clock. And they're like, oh, oh god, you know,
[24:00] Speaker 2: we'll pull a few strings and go.
[24:02] Speaker 5: Hang on, let's tell the real story.
[24:04] Speaker 2: You called the bulldog in, Yeah, I said the trish.
[24:07] Speaker 2: I thought, you know what I'm going to take. I'm
[24:10] Speaker 2: going to take the bulldog off the chain.
[24:11] Speaker 5: Tris steps in just and it was done within an
[24:14] Speaker 5: hour and a half.
[24:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, but they were doing that when I picked it up.
[24:18] Speaker 2: He said, oh mate, we sort of pushed it forward
[24:20] Speaker 2: a little bit. I said, mate, you've had the thing
[24:22] Speaker 2: for twenty four hours. It's a fat tire anyway, So
[24:26] Speaker 2: wait for this. Here's the kick of people. This is
[24:28] Speaker 2: stinging the tail. I help in the car. I'm driving
[24:30] Speaker 2: through Belmont to get back onto the highway. Next the
[24:34] Speaker 2: light comes on for the tire. The tire is saying
[24:37] Speaker 2: it's flat again. So I pulled up the service station.
[24:40] Speaker 2: They only half inflated it. Oh it was. It was
[24:43] Speaker 2: half in place.
[24:44] Speaker 4: I thought, who for them to ring me because they
[24:47] Speaker 4: wanted a survey, So I gave them the answer to
[24:50] Speaker 4: the survey, which I don't usually do, and they asked
[24:53] Speaker 4: if they were happy for me to call.
[24:54] Speaker 5: I said, please do, oh, please do please.
[24:56] Speaker 2: We're going to put you on spoogaphone and we're all
[24:58] Speaker 2: going to have a game.
[25:00] Speaker 5: People just go n RMA or.
[25:04] Speaker 3: There's a chance that Andrew may have made some enemies
[25:09] Speaker 3: back in the day in Belmont and they might have
[25:10] Speaker 3: mistaken you for him.
[25:12] Speaker 2: It happens. It happens sometimes. I get that sometimes.
[25:15] Speaker 1: Even you could have made some enemies.
[25:17] Speaker 2: I don't make enemies, mate.
[25:20] Speaker 1: You remember, I've seen some people I'm not like you.
[25:23] Speaker 1: Sometimes I've never seen that. You can't remember it.
[25:27] Speaker 2: That's okay. Before we take a break, just quickly, just
[25:30] Speaker 2: want to give himself a bit of a boost here
[25:32] Speaker 2: after getting a kicking, then just a second ago the
[25:34] Speaker 2: last kicking. The last two weeks, people, I've put tips
[25:37] Speaker 2: out there through different different sources. Alligator blood last week, okay,
[25:42] Speaker 2: got up played eleven dollars. But this week my tip
[25:45] Speaker 2: on the SCN Show was in the Ipswich Cup. I
[25:48] Speaker 2: tipped Media Media star twenty five dollars about.
[25:52] Speaker 5: People here, they didn't need you more.
[25:56] Speaker 2: Well, I didn't have a good look at the field.
[25:58] Speaker 2: Well you need to be well, just just people. I've
[26:01] Speaker 2: got the hot hands, So just hang in there. We'll
[26:03] Speaker 2: take a real quick break and be back shortly. Welcome back, Tricia.
[26:09] Speaker 2: Any anything going on in your world this week? Interesting? Okay,
[26:14] Speaker 2: let's go theme.
[26:15] Speaker 4: I just want to tell people that I did not
[26:16] Speaker 4: have diary last week. I had quite a few of
[26:20] Speaker 4: my concerned friends saying, you're feeling okay.
[26:22] Speaker 5: I wasn't actually unwell. I was just unavailable.
[26:25] Speaker 2: She was she had diary. What's the way? And Pierce
[26:28] Speaker 2: the big hitters, Beans, the big shitters, huges. Okay, the
[26:34] Speaker 2: best albums of not naety six.
[26:35] Speaker 4: Oh, oh my god, Oh my god, Charlie Shangled, Charlie,
[26:41] Speaker 4: tell your bloody dog.
[26:42] Speaker 5: John's come on, Charlie, you're a good's.
[26:45] Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, it's time for our theme. Best album of
[26:48] Speaker 2: non naety six Jack.
[26:49] Speaker 3: John's mate, I've gone with there's a list here. It's
[26:52] Speaker 3: actually hard to hardest with them all just people. One
[26:58] Speaker 3: I've Gone Graceland by Paul Simon Simon. But then it's
[27:05] Speaker 3: hard as I don't want to ruin anyone else's so
[27:07] Speaker 3: I'll say my nobles at the end.
[27:08] Speaker 1: And then give her back to Jack and give him
[27:11] Speaker 1: I've gone. I actually went. Crowded House, Crowded House, Oh wow, yeah,
[27:16] Speaker 1: mega album Mega. Let me just go through a couple
[27:19] Speaker 1: of the songs so you just can sing along. Mean
[27:21] Speaker 1: to me love that. Wow, my favorite.
[27:24] Speaker 2: Song from the Crowded Houses.
[27:26] Speaker 1: The Crowded Houses, Yeah, plural, don't Dream It's over beautiful,
[27:32] Speaker 1: something so strong.
[27:33] Speaker 2: Not as big a fan of that one.
[27:35] Speaker 1: And Hole in the River, I don't know that one
[27:38] Speaker 1: as opposed to Dad's one. Hole in the Wall. I
[27:41] Speaker 1: didn't know that one either. I just set it up
[27:43] Speaker 1: for a joke talking about holes in the wall as well.
[27:46] Speaker 1: Me and Dad are watching the logis last night and
[27:48] Speaker 1: they made a glory hole joke.
[27:50] Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, Tony Martin, who one of the one of
[27:55] Speaker 2: the just iconic Australian slash New Zealand comedians he got
[27:59] Speaker 2: on there. Yeah, they made the reference hole in the wall,
[28:02] Speaker 2: but it was a gloryhole joke, which we were around
[28:04] Speaker 2: the three or four we were shook.
[28:05] Speaker 1: I was like, he did not just make it a
[28:07] Speaker 1: glory whole joke and no he didn't, and the dad
[28:09] Speaker 1: went back. We listened to it again. It was definitely
[28:12] Speaker 1: insinuating Gloryholes. It was very funny.
[28:15] Speaker 3: If you're a new listener to the podcast with big
[28:18] Speaker 3: fans of Gloryholes in the family, particularly Jack.
[28:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, we draw them into our outoi practice, Tish.
[28:28] Speaker 4: I couldn't pick a best album. I just went some
[28:32] Speaker 4: of my favorite songs from that era. That was my
[28:34] Speaker 4: disco era.
[28:35] Speaker 2: So you couldn't nail down one album.
[28:39] Speaker 4: I'm a song girl, I'm not necessarily an album girl.
[28:42] Speaker 4: So when the communads don't leave me this way Banana
[28:46] Speaker 4: Rama with Venus, lots of actions going on cover.
[28:49] Speaker 5: Version, I don't care.
[28:51] Speaker 3: Sorry that was a cover.
[28:53] Speaker 4: It doesn't really matter. In nineteen eighty six Banana Rama
[28:55] Speaker 4: dinner and it was a huge Robert.
[28:56] Speaker 2: De Niro's Wade and that's my favorite wonderful Niros Weed
[29:02] Speaker 2: didn't talking to.
[29:04] Speaker 5: Oh my gosh. Yeah.
[29:05] Speaker 4: So there were my nights in Newcastle at the nightclub
[29:09] Speaker 4: the Gunfighters Rest Now, I mean there's rumors, the Mercury
[29:13] Speaker 4: and the Crazy Horse, they were all the one place
[29:15] Speaker 4: and I saw them through each name. And then the
[29:18] Speaker 4: other week when I was in Newcastle. I actually went
[29:21] Speaker 4: there again and it's now called Up Down.
[29:24] Speaker 1: You are so old.
[29:25] Speaker 2: You went through the.
[29:25] Speaker 5: Transition, I mean through a lot of nightclubs.
[29:27] Speaker 2: All these different nightclub names.
[29:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, you are even just that list. You're so old.
[29:32] Speaker 1: I didn't know any of those because you're twelve. Twenty two.
[29:36] Speaker 2: I've gone License to Ill. Beastie Boys debut, Alvin Jack
[29:40] Speaker 2: John's I was surprised. I knew that'd be on your list.
[29:44] Speaker 2: Paul Revere five year Right, No Sleep Till Brooklyn, number
[29:47] Speaker 2: one in the US, numbers five in Canada, number seven
[29:51] Speaker 2: in the UK. And guess where it came in Australia,
[29:54] Speaker 2: I say five number sixty two. How we were in
[30:00] Speaker 2: our pub rock era? So and the other one notable
[30:04] Speaker 2: mentioned for Whiplast, Smile, Billy Idol.
[30:07] Speaker 5: What songs on that?
[30:08] Speaker 2: Got to be a lover, Sweet sixteen, Don't need a Gun?
[30:11] Speaker 1: Talking about pub rock era was Jimmy Barnes' Working Classmen.
[30:16] Speaker 2: To you what coop close it might be?
[30:18] Speaker 1: I think it would have been.
[30:19] Speaker 2: We not put that on any notables, Jack, Yeah.
[30:21] Speaker 3: My notables License to Ill. I went. Rick Rubin produced
[30:26] Speaker 3: it as well, and he had a big he had
[30:28] Speaker 3: a big period during the mid eighties. He does Raising Hell,
[30:33] Speaker 3: which was that year as well by run Dy and c.
[30:35] Speaker 3: And then one of my favorites was Dancing on the
[30:38] Speaker 3: Ceiling by Lina Richie.
[30:40] Speaker 6: Yeah, Linn, he was born today, Lina Richie.
[30:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, so you see me?
[30:45] Speaker 3: What's today? For the podcasters?
[30:47] Speaker 2: Oh, that's true. We don't have reference as we are
[30:50] Speaker 2: recording this people, it's line of Richie's birthday. Guess how
[30:53] Speaker 2: old line of Richie is?
[30:54] Speaker 5: Oh sixty seven, Cooper.
[30:57] Speaker 1: I'm going to say seventy one.
[30:59] Speaker 3: I'm going to seventy seventy two.
[31:02] Speaker 2: Oh, bingo and around? What do I win?
[31:07] Speaker 5: It's hard being recorded.
[31:08] Speaker 4: I want to have a sip of my bit, but
[31:09] Speaker 4: I feel like it's an inappropriate thing.
[31:11] Speaker 1: To do on AM I allowed, Well, you know what
[31:16] Speaker 1: they can do is if you sip it, they just
[31:17] Speaker 1: won't use your camera for it.
[31:18] Speaker 2: No, it's okay. I mean we're grown up for all
[31:21] Speaker 2: past day. Don't come on, guys, just relaxed a little bit,
[31:24] Speaker 2: talking it longer rigially, just spart my memory. The man
[31:26] Speaker 2: Who's got the best hair in Rugby League was on
[31:27] Speaker 2: the show on Sunday Night. Morgan Harper, even Jason. They
[31:31] Speaker 2: are nice guys.
[31:33] Speaker 5: Morgan was a little shy.
[31:35] Speaker 2: He's shy.
[31:36] Speaker 1: They both look a little bit shy. Jason Saba had
[31:38] Speaker 1: a bit more look a bit more comfortable Morgan. That
[31:41] Speaker 1: you know who Morgan Harper reminds me of if anybody
[31:44] Speaker 1: who is probably around me and Jack's age, you know,
[31:47] Speaker 1: Old Greg. He's a character of Flood in the Concords.
[31:51] Speaker 1: If you get on YouTube, type in Old Greg. It's
[31:54] Speaker 1: not a wrap to Harper just quietly. He used to
[31:57] Speaker 1: haunt a lot of our dreams when we were young.
[31:59] Speaker 1: But he's hilarious character.
[32:00] Speaker 5: So he recited constantly through that he's.
[32:02] Speaker 1: A seaweed creature that lives under the water, and he
[32:05] Speaker 1: loves Bailey's and capturing man and he would keep them
[32:10] Speaker 1: hostage in his underwe Yeah, I'm Old Greg. I love Bailey's. Yeah, yeah,
[32:16] Speaker 1: very good.
[32:17] Speaker 2: What was that show called again, Flight of the Concords?
[32:20] Speaker 2: My favorite there was, and that wasn't the Flight of
[32:22] Speaker 2: the Concords. That was your thing of the wrong one,
[32:24] Speaker 2: The Mighty Bush of the Mighty Mighty Bush was the
[32:27] Speaker 2: mighty My favorite, and that was Bob Fossil.
[32:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, Bob Fossils.
[32:31] Speaker 3: I actually met up an old bar last year visiting
[32:34] Speaker 3: a maid of mine. I actually met one of his
[32:36] Speaker 3: cousins or his neighbor had a Mighty Bush tattoo on
[32:40] Speaker 3: his foot and he was he was. He must have
[32:42] Speaker 3: talked about on the podcast once or twice and he
[32:45] Speaker 3: was very proud of it.
[32:46] Speaker 2: The guy off Mighty Bush. The guitarists lead guitarist, songwriter
[32:51] Speaker 2: and Kassavian. They could be twins. Yeah, and if you
[32:54] Speaker 2: look at the film clip, You're in Love with a Psycho.
[32:56] Speaker 2: He actually off the Mighty Bush makes an appearance.
[32:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I've seen that. I think I have
[33:00] Speaker 1: seen that.
[33:01] Speaker 2: Tootle just ties together, yeah life, Yeah, sure it is.
[33:06] Speaker 2: Boys would have been up to this week Jacko.
[33:08] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, mate, I we've had a bit of predicament
[33:11] Speaker 3: this week. One of my friends up here, I'm not
[33:14] Speaker 3: going to name names. I don't like pushing people over
[33:17] Speaker 3: a cliff like Cooper does. But he's had issues with
[33:21] Speaker 3: decision making. He won't he doesn't know, He doesn't know
[33:26] Speaker 3: how to what clothes to put on. Sometimes, doesn't know
[33:28] Speaker 3: if you should wear a jacket if it's too cold,
[33:31] Speaker 3: it's not. He makes really bad decisions when it comes
[33:34] Speaker 3: to where do you want to go for lunch. He
[33:35] Speaker 3: cannot make a decision. And then I went to get
[33:38] Speaker 3: a haircut today, which I got and we have the
[33:39] Speaker 3: same barber and Francis how barber said that when he
[33:43] Speaker 3: comes in and he asked him what kind of haircut
[33:45] Speaker 3: he wants, he goes, I don't know. So my question
[33:50] Speaker 3: is how can we how can we help someone who
[33:53] Speaker 3: can't make decisions? And there is someone at that table
[33:56] Speaker 3: who I'm looking at mildly. That can be a bit.
[34:00] Speaker 5: Like that you're looking at me, aren't you.
[34:03] Speaker 2: I would say to Matt Croker that there is no
[34:08] Speaker 2: rod or wrong. Just make a decision. And if you
[34:10] Speaker 2: make a decision and it's the wrong one, at least
[34:12] Speaker 2: you learn. Just don't sit in twilight, brother, make a decision,
[34:16] Speaker 2: stands for.
[34:16] Speaker 4: Something, or you do it, or you do the pros
[34:18] Speaker 4: and cons list. That's the other way I do.
[34:21] Speaker 1: I just make a decision. And you know, sometimes if
[34:25] Speaker 1: you just if you go hard enough into it, it
[34:27] Speaker 1: can turn into the right decision by your intent. Or
[34:31] Speaker 1: sometimes I'll just not make a decision and put it
[34:34] Speaker 1: off as long as possible and then it eventually just
[34:36] Speaker 1: explodes to my face.
[34:37] Speaker 2: Yeah, whatever can happen today? Don't worry. Hold off. It
[34:41] Speaker 2: can happen tomorrow the day after that. Hey, Matte, can
[34:44] Speaker 2: you mail? Why can't I make tomorrow? Well it might rain,
[34:47] Speaker 2: let's hope.
[34:47] Speaker 3: So which what was your method? What was your protein.
[34:51] Speaker 5: Pros and cons list? I mean, I wouldn't be doing
[34:53] Speaker 5: it over lunch or you know.
[34:54] Speaker 3: Small Sometimes when I do ask you about making about
[34:58] Speaker 3: what we want to do or something we can do,
[35:00] Speaker 3: or where we want to go, it does in your
[35:03] Speaker 3: head seem sometimes like you are doing a full you
[35:06] Speaker 3: knows and cons.
[35:08] Speaker 5: List in I'm a little detailed.
[35:09] Speaker 2: I totally agree, should we go there? And you know
[35:12] Speaker 2: what to do? I've realized that Tricia's mulling it over.
[35:14] Speaker 2: She's not after an answer, she's just talking to herself.
[35:17] Speaker 2: Allow her to talk to herself and work it out.
[35:19] Speaker 2: But it can take a long time. It's interesting and
[35:22] Speaker 2: carrying stationary around me at the time to make a
[35:24] Speaker 2: list pros and cons. I think that can be a
[35:26] Speaker 2: little bit clunky as well. Anyway, Cooper, what about you, mate, mate?
[35:31] Speaker 1: I'm glad you remembered me I had. I actually went
[35:33] Speaker 1: and did a sauna today and sauna and a float
[35:36] Speaker 1: tank and I was sitting in there, and I thought
[35:39] Speaker 1: of I was sitting, So what I did was in
[35:41] Speaker 1: the sauna, I got naked, and I think.
[35:43] Speaker 5: Are you allowed to do that?
[35:45] Speaker 1: I'm not sure, but I I only brought one pair
[35:48] Speaker 1: of undies, and I didn't want to have to free
[35:50] Speaker 1: ball afterwards because I was in tight shorts. And as
[35:53] Speaker 1: you know me, Jack, I have an enormous heart and
[35:55] Speaker 1: I didn't want them to see the outline of my heart.
[35:58] Speaker 1: And so I got completely and I was sitting in
[36:02] Speaker 1: there thinking, you know, is this inappropriate? I guess I
[36:04] Speaker 1: wanted to ask you, guys, is inappropriate in a sauna
[36:07] Speaker 1: which everybody's coming in after me and using the same thing?
[36:10] Speaker 5: Are you sitting on your own towel?
[36:12] Speaker 1: It's just the towel they've got laid down there.
[36:14] Speaker 5: But is it the towel that you then walk away.
[36:16] Speaker 1: With and put in Well, I would think they would
[36:18] Speaker 1: swap it.
[36:21] Speaker 5: Yeah, I think you probably could have worn Speedo's mate.
[36:23] Speaker 2: Okay, let's imagine for a second. Let's imagine that the
[36:25] Speaker 2: person who preceded you went in there. He's a drifter,
[36:30] Speaker 2: he hasn't showered for quite a while, he's got liquor
[36:34] Speaker 2: on his breath, and he just decides to take everything
[36:37] Speaker 2: off and lay there. Would you be comfortable laying on
[36:39] Speaker 2: the same towel?
[36:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, I would probably, Yeah, I don't think that would
[36:43] Speaker 1: be too bad, right answer? But then I also jumped
[36:46] Speaker 1: in the float tank and I was going to ask,
[36:49] Speaker 1: so what happens was I lately? In the float tanks
[36:51] Speaker 1: I've been doing. I've been trying a couple of different
[36:53] Speaker 1: recovery things. See how the body feels, see how the
[36:55] Speaker 1: mind reacts off it. And I've been laying there a
[36:59] Speaker 1: little bit, rest listen, And I don't want to throw
[37:01] Speaker 1: a teammate under the bus, but will if I have to.
[37:03] Speaker 1: He does float tanks as well, and he tipped me
[37:05] Speaker 1: into a little concept where he says he goes in
[37:08] Speaker 1: and the best way he feels like he can relax
[37:10] Speaker 1: and sleep afterwards is if he treats himself.
[37:14] Speaker 2: He doesn't masturbate the float tank.
[37:16] Speaker 1: It doesn't masturbate in the float tank, but in the shower.
[37:19] Speaker 1: They've got a shower in there. You have to have
[37:20] Speaker 1: to get everything off, and in the shower, just before
[37:23] Speaker 1: he hops in this float tank, he he.
[37:25] Speaker 2: Masturbates Craig on to himself.
[37:29] Speaker 1: He masturbates and then he goes straight in the float
[37:30] Speaker 1: tank and he reckons it helps him go to sleep. So,
[37:32] Speaker 1: Dale Fanucan, I know you're over there in Canala having
[37:35] Speaker 1: a good time, but mate, you've got kids at home.
[37:37] Speaker 1: Stop masturbating in public places.
[37:39] Speaker 2: Do better? Do better? Dale a role.
[37:43] Speaker 3: Does the float last an hour?
[37:45] Speaker 1: You're in there for an hour? Do you fall asleep?
[37:48] Speaker 1: I didn't fall asleep today, but last week when I
[37:51] Speaker 1: did it, I fell asleep because I tried dal Fanucan's methods.
[37:55] Speaker 5: Have you done one jacket?
[37:57] Speaker 3: No? I haven't. But how do you float? Like to
[37:59] Speaker 3: float in? So?
[38:00] Speaker 5: What?
[38:01] Speaker 2: So?
[38:01] Speaker 1: This has got it's got like I think it's I
[38:04] Speaker 1: don't know exactly how much, but it's got a heap
[38:06] Speaker 1: of salt in it. So the magnesium you literally can't.
[38:09] Speaker 1: So I try to push my hand down to the bottom.
[38:11] Speaker 1: As soon as I stopped putting pressure, just it pushes
[38:13] Speaker 1: it up, so you can't. Like, there's no way unless
[38:16] Speaker 1: you even if you're trying to drown yourself, it'd be
[38:18] Speaker 1: very hard to actually do it in there because it
[38:20] Speaker 1: pushes you back up.
[38:21] Speaker 4: There used to be one in Newcastle at the gym
[38:23] Speaker 4: that you used to go to when I think I
[38:25] Speaker 4: was when I was pregnant.
[38:26] Speaker 5: I went and it had the whole pod. The pod. Yeah,
[38:29] Speaker 5: that was long ago. It's very relaxing. Though, Oh my god, you're.
[38:38] Speaker 2: Anything for entertainment.
[38:40] Speaker 1: Add one more question for you as well, so you
[38:46] Speaker 1: I had a question. So we played up in the
[38:49] Speaker 1: Sunshine Coast.
[38:53] Speaker 2: God, God, I wish we did a bit that you
[38:55] Speaker 2: guys listen to what I said.
[38:59] Speaker 1: What did I ask you about the role of the
[39:00] Speaker 1: eighteenth man back in your day? Because what what wish
[39:03] Speaker 1: Tyrone Wishart on Friday and night had to be eighteenth
[39:06] Speaker 1: man for the Bronco against the Broncos for Storm, and
[39:09] Speaker 1: then he had to on the day of our game.
[39:11] Speaker 1: We played in Harvey Bay for reserve grade, so he
[39:13] Speaker 1: had to fly up to Sunshine Coast and then drive
[39:16] Speaker 1: from Sunshine Coast to Harvey Bay, which is three hours play,
[39:19] Speaker 1: and then we drove back to the Sunshine Coast. I
[39:21] Speaker 1: wanted to ask, was it a similar thing back in
[39:23] Speaker 1: your day?
[39:24] Speaker 2: Well, Coop, in our day, what happened was all that
[39:28] Speaker 2: it was under twenty ones, reserve grade and first grade,
[39:30] Speaker 2: so you all played at the same same ground. So
[39:34] Speaker 2: twice in my career I played under twenty ones then
[39:37] Speaker 2: played half a game reserve grade and finish off with
[39:39] Speaker 2: a little bit of the first grade game. Played three
[39:41] Speaker 2: grades really in one day. You used to be able
[39:43] Speaker 2: to do.
[39:43] Speaker 1: Is that common?
[39:45] Speaker 2: No, you had to be like a freak. Yeah, but
[39:51] Speaker 2: would you play. You play one hundred and twenty one
[39:53] Speaker 2: game and they'd say they, mate, I want to sit
[39:56] Speaker 2: preserve grade. You got an injury, nuts some reserve grade.
[40:00] Speaker 2: If you played more than a half game reserve grade
[40:01] Speaker 2: you got a full payment if you want. And then
[40:03] Speaker 2: they say, mate, sit on the bench for first grade.
[40:05] Speaker 2: Sometimes the coach would go to me and Jack's godfather,
[40:08] Speaker 2: Adam Mirror, and say, listen, don't sit on the bench
[40:10] Speaker 2: for reserve grade, but we won't sit on the bench
[40:12] Speaker 2: for first grade.
[40:13] Speaker 1: Yeah, well so would how many people could sit on
[40:15] Speaker 1: the bench then for first grade?
[40:17] Speaker 2: That unlimited amount, but.
[40:19] Speaker 1: You only have certain because obviously now you're only at four.
[40:22] Speaker 2: That's right, it was, yeah, I think back then it
[40:25] Speaker 2: was four. In the changes. Back then you can only.
[40:26] Speaker 1: Change change four times, and it changed four.
[40:29] Speaker 2: Times, and once who went off you couldn't.
[40:32] Speaker 1: Go back union?
[40:33] Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yep, but there was tackling. Okay, well Jack
[40:38] Speaker 2: Jack's jukebox, what are you off for us?
[40:40] Speaker 3: I haven't actually got a song or album this week.
[40:43] Speaker 3: I've actually got I bought Scar Tissue today by Anthony Keatas.
[40:49] Speaker 3: I've heard really good things about it and I'm going
[40:51] Speaker 3: to go and is an international best seller. It says, yes,
[40:55] Speaker 3: I only give a good read. I've heard fantastic things
[40:58] Speaker 3: about this book.
[40:59] Speaker 2: It's one of the high selling music biographies of all time.
[41:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, the intro. Apparently the intro is the thing that
[41:05] Speaker 1: captures a straightaway because he tells his virginity story at
[41:08] Speaker 1: the very start.
[41:08] Speaker 2: We'll take a really quick break and be back with
[41:10] Speaker 2: more six stuff. Guys, welcome back to the podcast. Nineteen
[41:16] Speaker 2: eighty six is the theme triush. What was the biggest
[41:18] Speaker 2: event in your opinion in eighty six.
[41:20] Speaker 4: I'm going to go with the Space Shuttle Challenger exploding
[41:25] Speaker 4: seventy three seconds after it took off, killed seven people,
[41:29] Speaker 4: including a civilian. There was a teacher on board.
[41:32] Speaker 2: Yeahzavilion, the whole world would sit and watch it the takeoff.
[41:36] Speaker 5: Yeah, now they go up a little bit.
[41:37] Speaker 1: So were you guys sitting there at home watching on
[41:40] Speaker 1: TV and then it exploded?
[41:42] Speaker 2: Yep on TV.
[41:42] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's bad.
[41:43] Speaker 2: Everyone's applauding.
[41:44] Speaker 5: They just went seventy three seconds in something happened.
[41:47] Speaker 1: Is that hard for you to I think.
[41:49] Speaker 5: Anytime there's a loss of life, it's quite hard.
[41:51] Speaker 2: It was weird, do you think, Cooper, Yes, I remember
[41:54] Speaker 2: at school. I remember, yeah, speak to you.
[41:57] Speaker 1: Sometimes school to watch it. Yeah. Sometimes it wouldn't feel
[42:00] Speaker 1: it can't doesn't feel real though when you're watching on TV.
[42:02] Speaker 1: I feel like if I was watching that now space
[42:04] Speaker 1: shuttle and exploded.
[42:05] Speaker 5: You think it was like a movie.
[42:07] Speaker 1: It's a movie.
[42:07] Speaker 2: A lot of people were nine to eleven took place.
[42:09] Speaker 2: There were people sitting there thinking. There's reports of people
[42:12] Speaker 2: sitting there thinking is this.
[42:14] Speaker 5: It was so surreal? It was.
[42:16] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[42:16] Speaker 5: You kept watching it, watching it, going really like, yeah
[42:18] Speaker 5: it was.
[42:19] Speaker 2: That was so I've gone tragic and this was I
[42:22] Speaker 2: think probably one of the most overrated things in my lifetime.
[42:27] Speaker 2: Hailey's comment comes around every seventy five years people and
[42:29] Speaker 2: the excitement wasn't their trution. The excitement people going it
[42:33] Speaker 2: is going to be blue. And the way they painted
[42:36] Speaker 2: Hailey's comment is that I went out.
[42:38] Speaker 5: To watch it. Can you remember?
[42:40] Speaker 2: I don't know anyway, many nightclubs of your heads. This
[42:48] Speaker 2: is a beauty event film just animation. Here, I'm but
[42:52] Speaker 2: I'm watching it as a kid, and I'm waiting for
[42:54] Speaker 2: this wild meteor of flames to just go through the sky.
[42:57] Speaker 2: And I'm waiting and waiting. I said, in my name,
[42:59] Speaker 2: but which one is it? And he goes it was
[43:01] Speaker 2: his tiny little twinkle, and I went, that's Hawley's car.
[43:05] Speaker 1: So it wasn't even like a shooting star. It's not
[43:07] Speaker 1: even like you actually see.
[43:08] Speaker 2: No, it doesn't go across. It was just like twinkle, twinkle,
[43:12] Speaker 2: little star.
[43:13] Speaker 1: What I realized the other day is when you look
[43:14] Speaker 1: up in the sky to a little star. When you
[43:19] Speaker 1: look up in the sky to separate the stars and
[43:23] Speaker 1: the satellites, the satellites are the things that flash.
[43:27] Speaker 5: So people are probably mistaking them.
[43:28] Speaker 1: So a lot of times people because yeah, you look
[43:30] Speaker 1: up and you see a lot of the ones that
[43:31] Speaker 1: are they flashed like that, they're actually the satellite.
[43:33] Speaker 4: I've got no idea what I'm looking at when I
[43:35] Speaker 4: look up there. Yeah, I see the shopping trolley and
[43:37] Speaker 4: I see the saucepan.
[43:38] Speaker 1: I just look up there. I just think, I just.
[43:42] Speaker 2: I'm looking that man on the moon. I'm thinking, what's
[43:44] Speaker 2: he doing up there? What's Neil?
[43:48] Speaker 1: What's Neil doing up there? Lance? What's Lance doing up there?
[43:52] Speaker 3: I can't believe Lance did the tour of France then
[43:53] Speaker 3: went all the way to the moon.
[43:55] Speaker 2: Incredible Jack.
[43:56] Speaker 3: The event of ninety eighty six that I would for
[43:59] Speaker 3: me personally was Queen Live at Wembley.
[44:03] Speaker 2: So many events.
[44:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how live a is it?
[44:06] Speaker 3: No?
[44:07] Speaker 2: No, it was that was Afeter live.
[44:09] Speaker 1: They made their come yeah. Oh yeah, sorry, you can go.
[44:14] Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no, just can continue to interrupt me. It's
[44:16] Speaker 3: all good if you go on YouTube. Have a look
[44:19] Speaker 3: at the eighty six I reckon it's some of the
[44:21] Speaker 3: clicks are better than Live Aid the year before, So
[44:24] Speaker 3: give it a watch.
[44:27] Speaker 1: Rite that better than live. I'll be the judges glad
[44:30] Speaker 1: for I interrupted that, And then my one was mad
[44:34] Speaker 1: cow disease. Talking about parallels. We talked about top Gun,
[44:38] Speaker 1: we talked about running up that hill. Mad cow disease
[44:42] Speaker 1: that was forgot about in parallel to COVID first couple.
[44:46] Speaker 5: Of prominence that in England, wasn't it.
[44:50] Speaker 1: I don't don't I think so.
[44:52] Speaker 5: I think mad car disease may.
[44:53] Speaker 2: Have been in England big thing when we were there.
[44:55] Speaker 5: Yeah, and yes, and when we were there. When we
[44:57] Speaker 5: lived there in two thousand and one, there was.
[44:59] Speaker 4: Mad mad cow disease then and also handfut mouth because
[45:03] Speaker 4: you boys got it.
[45:05] Speaker 1: Is mad cow disease. Was it deadly?
[45:08] Speaker 5: I think so. I think it could be. Yeah, I
[45:11] Speaker 5: think it could be.
[45:13] Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm I'm not too sure exactly.
[45:15] Speaker 3: I would have loved you to do some research.
[45:18] Speaker 5: I'm not sure about that.
[45:19] Speaker 1: When I first read it, all I seen was Mad Cow,
[45:22] Speaker 1: and I thought it was the opening of Mad Cow
[45:24] Speaker 1: in Townsville. That's what I thought.
[45:26] Speaker 5: It was like the Crazy Cow.
[45:28] Speaker 1: Mad Cow's the big pub in Townsville, to.
[45:31] Speaker 5: Be one in Newcastle to the Crazy Cow.
[45:33] Speaker 2: Not everything's in Newcastle.
[45:35] Speaker 5: I had a really nice weekend. It was a real
[45:38] Speaker 5: trip down memory lane.
[45:39] Speaker 1: World's bigger than Newcastle.
[45:40] Speaker 5: It is, yea, it is, but Newcastle is pretty good.
[45:44] Speaker 2: The thing in eighty six which it exploded, radiation spread
[45:51] Speaker 2: right across Europe and Oprah bless her.
[45:56] Speaker 4: I was an Oprah fanatic, really loved Oprah. I wanted
[46:00] Speaker 4: to be Oprah.
[46:01] Speaker 5: I wanted to have my own talk show.
[46:08] Speaker 2: You should maybe think about that having your own I mean,
[46:11] Speaker 2: we've got the equipment. He enabled the podcast. Why don't
[46:13] Speaker 2: you do your own podcast with some of the girls
[46:14] Speaker 2: around the neighborhood.
[46:16] Speaker 5: Should I do the Patricia John's show.
[46:20] Speaker 2: It's easy way to sell it. I've got two shows
[46:22] Speaker 2: called the Paddi john Shaw. Maybe do it? Maybe called
[46:25] Speaker 2: the Patti john Shaw. Maybe people are mistaken it and
[46:28] Speaker 2: listen because I think it's me.
[46:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, pe Day Night with Patti John's. Do you know what?
[46:33] Speaker 5: On that note, can we just send a little shout
[46:36] Speaker 5: out to talk into the microphone my newest friend Rory
[46:39] Speaker 5: and his mum from Brisbane. She sounds like an absolute
[46:43] Speaker 5: rock star. He's only just discovered you and he's listening
[46:48] Speaker 5: to everything.
[46:48] Speaker 6: You do want.
[46:49] Speaker 1: She just discovered you. Is he serious?
[46:52] Speaker 2: I've been doing this stuff for twenty odd years mate.
[46:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, well okay, living under a Rory, he's become a
[47:01] Speaker 4: So shout out to.
[47:02] Speaker 5: Rory and his mum.
[47:03] Speaker 2: Who the mum's a rockstar, rock star.
[47:07] Speaker 5: She's got a few boys too.
[47:09] Speaker 1: She's got a few boys.
[47:12] Speaker 5: Are okay, older older version of our family.
[47:17] Speaker 2: The other quick feedback for this week?
[47:19] Speaker 5: Have you done?
[47:20] Speaker 3: Oh?
[47:20] Speaker 5: Yeah, well I do.
[47:21] Speaker 4: Actually, I'm just going to provide a little rebuttal on
[47:24] Speaker 4: the back of me being absent last week and you
[47:26] Speaker 4: assholes not being very nice, your nasty comments about my
[47:31] Speaker 4: worst habit. Okay, first out, and my people aren't happy.
[47:34] Speaker 4: There was a lot of support for me.
[47:36] Speaker 2: Your people are just.
[47:38] Speaker 4: And as they pointed out, like you're all very brave
[47:40] Speaker 4: when I'm not here, So Cooper saying, I always need
[47:43] Speaker 4: to have the last the last word.
[47:46] Speaker 5: And it was interesting because you called it an argument.
[47:48] Speaker 5: It's a discussion.
[47:50] Speaker 4: It's you just consider it an argument if I say
[47:53] Speaker 4: something that you don't want to hear.
[47:54] Speaker 7: Okay, full stop, Okay, last word?
[47:58] Speaker 1: Thanks? Feel good?
[48:00] Speaker 5: Jack complaining about me calling out throughout the house. Sorry
[48:05] Speaker 5: about that?
[48:05] Speaker 4: So that I call you to tell you that your
[48:08] Speaker 4: lunch is ready, or that dinner's ready, or that your
[48:11] Speaker 4: brecky is ready.
[48:12] Speaker 5: He's a here's a clue. Why don't you answer?
[48:15] Speaker 4: And even when I text you downstairs, you don't reply.
[48:18] Speaker 4: I can't be running up and down those stairs for you.
[48:22] Speaker 5: It's not like I'm benefiting.
[48:24] Speaker 4: Okay, and Matt, I didn't bother listening to what you
[48:28] Speaker 4: have to say, so you're ignored?
[48:29] Speaker 2: Oh really? Okay.
[48:31] Speaker 5: The other thing is I want your opinion on this guys. Steve,
[48:35] Speaker 5: a friend of mine, just shush, just because you don't
[48:40] Speaker 5: have as many friends as I do.
[48:41] Speaker 4: Matt, just shush. And he and his wife are having
[48:44] Speaker 4: a really big wedding anniversary. Uh so she's actually asked.
[48:49] Speaker 5: Him to mold his penis so he can make it
[48:54] Speaker 5: into a dial. What do we think of that?
[48:57] Speaker 1: I okay, I all of that once as a gift,
[49:03] Speaker 1: as a gift for someone's birthday.
[49:04] Speaker 2: Which I said, I'm not molding my penis.
[49:07] Speaker 1: I'm going to mold mine for a gift for someone.
[49:10] Speaker 4: So apparently apparently though they're only doing who was I
[49:13] Speaker 4: going to give it to?
[49:13] Speaker 5: They're only doing small bits this year? Cooper.
[49:16] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Joe, Well, I was actually serious.
[49:20] Speaker 5: I was going to get no doubt Cooper.
[49:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, I was going to do it for Harry Grant's birthday.
[49:25] Speaker 1: Oh well yeah yeah, what do you mean? It was
[49:28] Speaker 1: like in The Dark Ones? He was going to put
[49:29] Speaker 1: it on his lamp is, like as a lamp for
[49:31] Speaker 1: a reading, Like.
[49:35] Speaker 4: Was it going to be a touch lamp like when
[49:37] Speaker 4: I bought you the other way? Touch it goes on,
[49:40] Speaker 4: touch it it goes.
[49:41] Speaker 2: Off, scrap it into us.
[49:42] Speaker 5: Hey, that's a great idea.
[49:46] Speaker 4: Yeah, Like molds of penis turning to touch lamps.
[49:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, but then somebody walks. What about the look of
[49:53] Speaker 1: that and the stigma of somebody walking into your your
[49:56] Speaker 1: parents walking into your room and they see big AM's
[50:01] Speaker 1: enormous molds of penis.
[50:03] Speaker 4: You know what if you're an adult and your parents
[50:06] Speaker 4: aren't really walking to your room, blah blah bah.
[50:08] Speaker 5: I mean your kids are walking to you, and that
[50:09] Speaker 5: might be a bit of according away. How do you
[50:11] Speaker 5: could be very very awkward?
[50:13] Speaker 2: What I just come up with an idea myself. What
[50:16] Speaker 2: about this a Swiss army dildo where you had basically
[50:19] Speaker 2: it was a backscratcher if you have a pan coming
[50:22] Speaker 2: out of it. It was a toothbrush you could brush.
[50:24] Speaker 1: Your What do you think about that door on sunscreen?
[50:28] Speaker 1: You just squeeze the angling.
[50:33] Speaker 2: On the cake water pistol for the kids. Oh, it's sure,
[50:43] Speaker 2: is mate. Congratulations, we are in genius though, really scoobish
[50:47] Speaker 2: army dildo look forward to it, which, of course you don't.
[50:50] Speaker 2: Dildo is short. The real pronunciation is dildall.
[50:54] Speaker 5: Really, oh is it?
[50:55] Speaker 1: Do you know?
[50:55] Speaker 4: Only just worked out the other day someone explained that
[50:58] Speaker 4: there's a difference between a dildo and a vibe.
[51:00] Speaker 5: I didn't I just thought they were the same, but
[51:02] Speaker 5: I get why they're different.
[51:03] Speaker 2: Him. We pulled all yours out and sits know that
[51:05] Speaker 2: one okay, and.
[51:08] Speaker 1: That one's a fire extinguished. Stop using it to be.
[51:13] Speaker 2: Yes, they're Rosemary Breaths. Best sporting achievement of nine and
[51:20] Speaker 2: eighty six.
[51:21] Speaker 3: Jack, best sporting achievement, I'd say Argentina and the World
[51:25] Speaker 3: Cup in Mexico, Your man, Maridona, I'd say that was
[51:28] Speaker 3: yours as.
[51:28] Speaker 1: Well, no doubt, ma, hand of God and of God.
[51:31] Speaker 2: Greatest performance by an individual any.
[51:33] Speaker 5: World Cup against West Germany three too.
[51:36] Speaker 2: Man, And yeah, that goal that the wonder goal was
[51:38] Speaker 2: they went away from the hand of God. But the
[51:40] Speaker 2: one he scored against England, greatest World Cup.
[51:42] Speaker 5: No I knew that.
[51:43] Speaker 1: Oh really, no, you definitely didn't. Mine was actually Will
[51:47] Speaker 1: Shoemaker won the Kentucky Derby at age fifty four, the
[51:51] Speaker 1: oldest ever jockey. You win, and yeah, fifty four, good
[51:56] Speaker 1: on him. And then he actually said in an interview
[51:59] Speaker 1: that before the he was inspired by Jack Nicholaus Nicholas
[52:03] Speaker 1: Nicholas who won the Masters at forty six earlier in
[52:06] Speaker 1: the year, and he was inspired and he rode Ferdinand
[52:10] Speaker 1: it's seventeen dollars.
[52:11] Speaker 2: You haven't heard Jack Nicholas the Golden Beer.
[52:13] Speaker 1: Never heard Jack Nicholas.
[52:14] Speaker 2: The other day, Ben Benny Hogarth interviewed two Penmouth players,
[52:19] Speaker 2: right and three Penmouth players and are talking about the combinations.
[52:24] Speaker 2: And one of the players went, those two got the
[52:27] Speaker 2: option to call a but ball first, he said, I'm
[52:29] Speaker 2: sort of the third world. He goes, so your ringer
[52:32] Speaker 2: and he went, sorry, what's ringer? And he said, you
[52:35] Speaker 2: know Ringo from the Beatles?
[52:36] Speaker 1: And he goes, is that Jerome Leuaye? Yeah, I can
[52:43] Speaker 1: I imagine Jerome Lewi wouldn't know the Beatles because he's
[52:47] Speaker 1: his music taste is rap and I wouldn't imagine that.
[52:49] Speaker 1: But that does that would That strikes me a bit
[52:52] Speaker 1: weird that he wouldn't even know. I never even heard
[52:54] Speaker 1: of the Beatles.
[52:55] Speaker 4: Guy heard on that note Elvis the movie comes out
[52:59] Speaker 4: this week.
[53:00] Speaker 2: Can't wait?
[53:00] Speaker 5: I can't wait?
[53:01] Speaker 3: So we what?
[53:02] Speaker 5: No, that's not the Beatles, but Elvis Beatles are similar?
[53:06] Speaker 5: Were you, young man?
[53:06] Speaker 2: Because I was talking to Jo Lui and he said,
[53:09] Speaker 2: you know, but you know, when I'm the first one
[53:11] Speaker 2: to leave the building, I said, like Elvis. He said,
[53:13] Speaker 2: who's Elvis.
[53:16] Speaker 1: Nice?
[53:17] Speaker 2: And I said, you know that guy who's coaching you
[53:19] Speaker 2: guys with his knee infection, Ivan Cleary, And he said,
[53:22] Speaker 2: who's Iron Clear?
[53:24] Speaker 5: Is that why he's not been at the game.
[53:27] Speaker 2: He's got infection in the joint.
[53:29] Speaker 5: A bad thing, as we know.
[53:32] Speaker 6: Not nice.
[53:34] Speaker 2: Best Ivan sporting achievement, Trisha.
[53:37] Speaker 4: Mine is the eighty six Grand Final against Eels and
[53:41] Speaker 4: Canterbury where it was the only trialis Grand Final was
[53:45] Speaker 4: four to two.
[53:47] Speaker 5: Eels one really Ray Price, Mick Cronan holding the trophy.
[53:52] Speaker 2: That was their fourth Grand Final win in six years.
[53:55] Speaker 5: And it's still the only Triumphs final.
[53:58] Speaker 6: Yeah, yes, are impressed.
[54:00] Speaker 2: I don't know Phil Sigsworth from these. He got sent
[54:04] Speaker 2: off in that Grand Final, set up for a high
[54:06] Speaker 2: shot on Brett Kenny.
[54:08] Speaker 1: Was it a bad game? Final to watch? It was great,
[54:11] Speaker 1: great grand but three penalty guys, you would be I
[54:14] Speaker 1: would I hate that?
[54:15] Speaker 2: It was good? It was good. A couple of ones here.
[54:17] Speaker 2: Michael Jordan becomes a mega stay score sixty three points
[54:20] Speaker 2: in a playoff game against Larry Bird's Boston Celtics, and
[54:24] Speaker 2: Larry Bird after the game described the performance as God
[54:27] Speaker 2: disguised as Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson youngest heavyweight champion of
[54:32] Speaker 2: all time and history, beating Trevor Berbick and one close
[54:35] Speaker 2: to home for us our man Liverpool beat Evant in
[54:38] Speaker 2: the Merseyside dr BFA Cup Final three to one. Craig
[54:41] Speaker 2: Johnston second goal scorer.
[54:43] Speaker 5: Man. He's such a nice man. Honestly, he's a very
[54:46] Speaker 5: impressive man.
[54:47] Speaker 1: He'll sometimes you wish you're married to him.
[54:49] Speaker 2: Yes, that's right. I think you did date there for
[54:54] Speaker 2: a while, Tish for a little bit. Yeah, yes, okay, joke.
[54:58] Speaker 2: Ben walks into BArch.
[55:00] Speaker 5: Now I've got nothing for you.
[55:00] Speaker 2: You've got nothing. Let's move to the next one. Guys,
[55:03] Speaker 2: Jack who was the biggest star of eighty six.
[55:06] Speaker 3: Well, I was going to go with top Guns Tom Cruise,
[55:10] Speaker 3: but I think either someone's got it or where everyone
[55:12] Speaker 3: was thinking it. So I went with with David Bowie,
[55:16] Speaker 3: obviously massive music artist, but he also was doing Labyrinths.
[55:20] Speaker 5: Yeah. Has anyone watched that, Laby, I haven't.
[55:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, I never seen it.
[55:27] Speaker 5: I'm thinking it's a little bit like the Prince movie that.
[55:30] Speaker 2: Yeah, labyrinth was serious, like yeah Kid's movie. Yeah, he
[55:35] Speaker 2: was he was dead keen on being an actor for
[55:37] Speaker 2: he was in a movie called Is It The Man
[55:40] Speaker 2: That Fell to Earth or something? That he was in
[55:43] Speaker 2: a number of movies, The Prestige.
[55:45] Speaker 3: She was in Zoolander.
[55:47] Speaker 1: Yeah, he was appearances when you did little cameos as
[55:51] Speaker 1: good appearances.
[55:52] Speaker 2: And there's an old movie made in the seventies Ned
[55:55] Speaker 2: Kelly and Mick.
[55:56] Speaker 1: Jagger is Ned Kelly Kelly.
[55:59] Speaker 2: He's playing in He Maybe he's part of the Kelly
[56:02] Speaker 2: gang Mick Jagger. It's not a convincing performance.
[56:08] Speaker 4: Yea true you know what, I'm not going to say
[56:12] Speaker 4: Top Gun and Tom Cruise either. I'm going to go
[56:15] Speaker 4: Madonna because her True Blue album with Papa Don't Preach
[56:19] Speaker 4: On It was number one for five weeks.
[56:22] Speaker 5: She was huge in the eighties, So I'm going Madonna.
[56:25] Speaker 1: I got I Went Chevy Chase, Three Amigos, and the
[56:29] Speaker 1: year before he actually come in with The Vacation, which
[56:33] Speaker 1: was a huge movie in its own right. We don't
[56:35] Speaker 1: know that one, The Vacation. You've never seen The Vacation
[56:39] Speaker 1: Chevy Chasing when he drives his kids across the.
[56:42] Speaker 5: Wally World, which one's called the Vacation.
[56:45] Speaker 1: The Rule Vacation, but it's National Lampoon's Vacation. Like it's
[56:51] Speaker 1: all Different's never called the vacation, but each each different one.
[56:56] Speaker 1: The vacation is the only thing that stays in the title.
[56:58] Speaker 5: That's which was the first.
[56:59] Speaker 2: One though, vacation vacation?
[57:02] Speaker 5: Where did they go?
[57:03] Speaker 2: Wally World? God give me strength, God give me strength? People?
[57:09] Speaker 2: Can I just redo my thing? That the most annoying
[57:12] Speaker 2: Habit can't be told, honestly, just I've gone Sylvester Stein.
[57:18] Speaker 2: Listen to his run up to nine eighty six, Rocky three,
[57:22] Speaker 2: First Blood, Rainbow, First Blood two called Rocky four, and Cobra,
[57:27] Speaker 2: all leaning from eighty two up to eighty six.
[57:30] Speaker 1: Cobra wasn't was that under a lot of controversy. There
[57:34] Speaker 1: wasn't very It wasn't very big, was it.
[57:37] Speaker 3: Yeah?
[57:37] Speaker 2: I think it was a bit of a failed compared
[57:39] Speaker 2: to all the other ones, the rest of the ones
[57:41] Speaker 2: he was in with Mega Okay people. Just before Trish,
[57:44] Speaker 2: we're going to finish with the climax of the show.
[57:46] Speaker 2: Trish's doing a stand up Cooper. Let's do our tips. Firstly,
[57:50] Speaker 2: I think I should go first, giving my record of
[57:52] Speaker 2: late I have the hot hand in the Tattersall's Tiara
[57:55] Speaker 2: in in Brisbane this weekend I'm going to go for
[57:58] Speaker 2: Brooklyn Hustle value like all my other tips of late,
[58:03] Speaker 2: it'll probably sit around ten to twelve dollars. Brooklyn Hustle
[58:07] Speaker 2: in the Tattersalls.
[58:08] Speaker 1: Tierra Nice Mine, I'm still off the punt, so mine
[58:12] Speaker 1: are two Netflix shows that are absolutely you're gonna You're
[58:15] Speaker 1: gonna be froth on Hustle on the line of Brooklyn
[58:18] Speaker 1: Hustle Hustle with Adam Sandler, He's a seventy six is
[58:21] Speaker 1: Scout very good? And if you don't like that, Spiderhead
[58:24] Speaker 1: that was great, which is very good, Miles Telly, Chris
[58:26] Speaker 1: Hamsworth and if you don't like that, then you're an idiot.
[58:30] Speaker 2: Yes, I.
[58:32] Speaker 1: Good.
[58:33] Speaker 5: Bid Ahead was great, the soundtrack to it was fantastic.
[58:36] Speaker 2: But I think it was a great role for Chris Hamsworth.
[58:38] Speaker 5: I loved it. I loved him as Yeah, No, I
[58:40] Speaker 5: thought he was great.
[58:41] Speaker 1: Bit nearly like not believable. He's a good he sells
[58:45] Speaker 1: it well, but it's when you just look at him
[58:47] Speaker 1: and the roles he's played and sort of how big
[58:48] Speaker 1: he is, it's sort of like not really believable now,
[58:50] Speaker 1: but he's like that sort of scientist.
[58:52] Speaker 2: Yes, I agree, I like him as four.
[58:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's more who thought.
[58:59] Speaker 2: Who thought right?
[59:03] Speaker 4: And can anyone out there give me a little bit
[59:06] Speaker 4: of background on Miles Teller's scarring on his face brought
[59:12] Speaker 4: up to Coop last night, he said, no, I think
[59:13] Speaker 4: that's actually scarring on his face. I didn't know whether
[59:16] Speaker 4: it was the I haven't noticed him that much. So
[59:19] Speaker 4: if anyone knows any background on that, I'd.
[59:21] Speaker 5: Be really curious.
[59:21] Speaker 2: And I'm curious too. And Maverick him when he took
[59:24] Speaker 2: his shirt off, he's ripped? Was that a bit of.
[59:26] Speaker 1: A young man? Apparently it was all him.
[59:29] Speaker 2: God made all those young guys make credible and then
[59:31] Speaker 2: Tom Cruise made him look a flabby old man, didn't.
[59:34] Speaker 1: He looked good still, but he's good.
[59:37] Speaker 4: Yeah, but I did have a little giggle as he
[59:38] Speaker 4: was walking up the beach at one point and you
[59:41] Speaker 4: could tell he was sort of sucking in.
[59:42] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[59:44] Speaker 1: What is he like if he's over fifty?
[59:45] Speaker 5: Oh god, sixty? Yeah?
[59:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's looking good. Hey, don't throw stones a
[59:50] Speaker 1: little man.
[59:51] Speaker 2: Okay, people, here we go. This could be start of
[59:54] Speaker 2: something really really special. We want your feedback on it.
[59:57] Speaker 2: I need you to video to the stage. Ladies and gentlemen,
[1:00:01] Speaker 2: please welcome Patricia Johns.
[1:00:03] Speaker 4: Okay, so my gripe is with a phone's order correct.
[1:00:07] Speaker 4: At first I thought it was my fat little fingers.
[1:00:09] Speaker 4: But people, someone's messing with us. All we all know
[1:00:12] Speaker 4: it's never ever you ducking idiot? And who calls someone
[1:00:16] Speaker 4: a mother ducker? No one if they can help it.
[1:00:20] Speaker 4: Although occasionally you may mean to duck off, But what
[1:00:24] Speaker 4: about if auto corrects the message to your boss, letting
[1:00:27] Speaker 4: him know that you're about to duck out, because no
[1:00:30] Speaker 4: one wants their dick out. Also inappropriate is when you
[1:00:34] Speaker 4: text your nephew to ask if the sketch that he
[1:00:37] Speaker 4: drew was.
[1:00:37] Speaker 5: Done in pen or penis. I'm not really sure who's
[1:00:41] Speaker 5: programming order correct.
[1:00:43] Speaker 4: My poor uncle, with his bad eyesight, didn't pick up
[1:00:46] Speaker 4: the correction. When I asked how my auntie was after
[1:00:48] Speaker 4: she'd been stung by two bees. I was a little
[1:00:51] Speaker 4: shocked when he text back that he had to inject
[1:00:54] Speaker 4: her with his epic penis. Glad really checked before pressing sin.
[1:01:01] Speaker 4: A friend of mine was left somewhat's done when after
