[0:00] Speaker 1: Jeez, have a look at you. You've come and you've
[0:02] Speaker 1: got You've got the tank top on your muscle.
[0:05] Speaker 2: Sh like your muscle shop.
[0:08] Speaker 1: May we reiterate what a tank top you are wearing?
[0:12] Speaker 3: What a tank I wonder?
[0:13] Speaker 4: Who waits? Who speak? Speak?
[0:14] Speaker 5: Now?
[0:16] Speaker 4: I'm two everyone two three four that. So only Dad's
[0:20] Speaker 4: mike was on, So that's good, so you hear. And
[0:21] Speaker 4: he was the one that was chirping the most big
[0:24] Speaker 4: piece of ship.
[0:24] Speaker 1: So here was the gym mate.
[0:26] Speaker 4: That was good. I did because I tweaked my hammy
[0:28] Speaker 4: the other day, so I had to go do some
[0:29] Speaker 4: rehab because there's some machines in your little back to
[0:31] Speaker 4: him that guess what you don't have g So I
[0:34] Speaker 4: was in there and then I did some core and
[0:36] Speaker 4: then heaps of girls coming up and trying to get
[0:38] Speaker 4: my number and ship, and I was just like, beat it,
[0:41] Speaker 4: I'm working. I come to this gym not to be
[0:43] Speaker 4: eye candy for you, like.
[0:44] Speaker 1: It happened to my gym. At the back, neighbors like
[0:48] Speaker 1: female neighbors coming over, stick.
[0:50] Speaker 6: Their head sugar. Yeah, need a little sugar, need little sugar, daddy.
[0:55] Speaker 4: Can I just ask Jack, do you feel embarrassed that
[0:57] Speaker 4: you had all the night levels down.
[1:00] Speaker 5: Literally just walked in and then I actually looked at
[1:02] Speaker 5: both of them and said, could you want you to
[1:04] Speaker 5: turn that on for me? They both ignored me, So
[1:06] Speaker 5: then I rolled around, turned it on, then turned all
[1:08] Speaker 5: this on.
[1:09] Speaker 6: S Did you just lie?
[1:11] Speaker 5: No, I swear to god, Saturdays were just rambling. I
[1:14] Speaker 5: think the audience will agree with me. You guys can
[1:15] Speaker 5: just ramble sometimes.
[1:17] Speaker 2: Also, it's anyone.
[1:18] Speaker 4: When I'm recording this this week, remember in stay got
[1:21] Speaker 4: you guys some do you want to put it on it?
[1:23] Speaker 4: If it's just your pin it, it's like I suppose
[1:27] Speaker 4: it's a it's a pin poppy, that's right.
[1:30] Speaker 1: The eleventh hour, the eleventh day, the eleventh month of
[1:33] Speaker 1: nineteen eighteen, where the armistice was signed. But also it's
[1:37] Speaker 1: a day, it's aday where we remember those who were
[1:40] Speaker 1: lost in World War One. But also I think it's
[1:43] Speaker 1: a day where we just reminds us of the people
[1:47] Speaker 1: who lost their lives, but also the horrors of war.
[1:52] Speaker 6: And not only that, all the families that it then impacts,
[1:55] Speaker 6: whether they're those lost lives and the generations ongoing that
[1:58] Speaker 6: are affected.
[1:59] Speaker 3: But I still found it.
[2:00] Speaker 4: I still find it so strange. To think like you
[2:02] Speaker 4: just watched the TV like the Powerball and they just
[2:04] Speaker 4: picked wasn't it your birth date?
[2:05] Speaker 1: That was Vietnam?
[2:06] Speaker 2: Vietnam?
[2:07] Speaker 1: It was Vietnam. Yeah, if if your number dropped.
[2:11] Speaker 2: If you're conscripted, was it did they go, cobber. Was
[2:13] Speaker 2: it like your dates?
[2:15] Speaker 5: Was it like between certain dates of the month of
[2:17] Speaker 5: your birthday or was it like the first fifteen days
[2:20] Speaker 5: or something like that.
[2:20] Speaker 4: I thought they'd just say, like the fourteenth and if
[2:22] Speaker 4: you were born on the fourteenth day of any month.
[2:24] Speaker 1: I wasn't that when you go, I have to check,
[2:26] Speaker 1: I mean let that. That was the theme of how
[2:29] Speaker 1: it was done. It was a lottery of sorts. I
[2:31] Speaker 1: don't know the exact context, whether it was check.
[2:33] Speaker 2: I'll check it.
[2:34] Speaker 6: But you say your dad from having to.
[2:36] Speaker 4: Go, Yeah I did, yes, because Gale was pregnant with you.
[2:40] Speaker 1: Yes, yep. But but you know, and every day when
[2:45] Speaker 1: you think about when you think about war, and partcularly
[2:48] Speaker 1: there's World War one, World War two, and into Vietnam
[2:52] Speaker 1: and like the Iraq War. And while we're seeing now
[2:57] Speaker 1: with our soldiers coming back from Afghanistan, there is an
[3:00] Speaker 1: acute awareness of PTSD now and you know, you know,
[3:05] Speaker 1: we haven't done the right found, you know, the right
[3:09] Speaker 1: way to get the soldiers when they come back in
[3:11] Speaker 1: to basically to where they can decompress.
[3:15] Speaker 4: No, I would say, like assimilate, assimilateety.
[3:18] Speaker 1: Brief, you know, and just decompress and get that theyured
[3:23] Speaker 1: over there. But if you go World War One, World
[3:25] Speaker 1: War two, Vietnam, Like, there's the reports that when when
[3:28] Speaker 1: you speak to people whose fathers or grandfathers went to
[3:31] Speaker 1: World War One, when they come back, the common theme is, oh,
[3:37] Speaker 1: pop was never the same, Pop become a heavy drinker,
[3:41] Speaker 1: Pop was a recluse, Pop never spoke about the war.
[3:45] Speaker 1: That was a very common theme. And then you flash
[3:47] Speaker 1: forward to Vietnam and I cannot tell you, like, it
[3:52] Speaker 1: just makes me so sad for those people that conscripted
[3:56] Speaker 1: to go away. They didn't want to go, why they
[3:58] Speaker 1: didn't want to go over and fight that war. Most
[4:01] Speaker 1: of them when they come back, they get treated a
[4:03] Speaker 1: lot of monsters and they get spat on in the street.
[4:05] Speaker 1: But you know the people who did that, shame on.
[4:06] Speaker 4: You know, they got spat on in the street.
[4:11] Speaker 6: Oh, I think the general protests about it history at.
[4:15] Speaker 5: School could when they came back in Vietnam was good history,
[4:17] Speaker 5: but I was known as the dirty.
[4:19] Speaker 1: War that they said what it was, it was a
[4:21] Speaker 1: war that World War One and World War two world
[4:25] Speaker 1: wars like look at World War two? What was World
[4:27] Speaker 1: War two about? Everyone knew it was about. It was
[4:29] Speaker 1: about defeating the Nazis Nazi Germany.
[4:32] Speaker 6: Who were when you got to the Vietnam.
[4:34] Speaker 1: War people, I don't think really what.
[4:37] Speaker 6: Was it about?
[4:38] Speaker 2: You?
[4:38] Speaker 1: Well, it was about the viet Coom. It was about
[4:41] Speaker 1: Communism going into Vietnam, basically with Hochu men. You know
[4:45] Speaker 1: that the big threat back then that that what they
[4:47] Speaker 1: were terrified of.
[4:48] Speaker 6: In the Cold War north and south of it.
[4:51] Speaker 1: Yeah, what they're terrified of is communism spreading around the world.
[4:54] Speaker 1: So any any country that flirted with it, they invaded.
[4:57] Speaker 1: The Americans and also people were people don't what is
[5:02] Speaker 1: this war there was? There wasn't an understanding of Yeah.
[5:05] Speaker 5: And by the waycover as well with conscriptions. So it
[5:07] Speaker 5: was nineteen sixty four, twenty year old Australian males had
[5:12] Speaker 5: to register and yeah, if your birthday was drawn, so
[5:16] Speaker 5: if you were called up for service, it became known
[5:18] Speaker 5: as the birthday ballot.
[5:19] Speaker 6: Yes, so they just targeted a twenty year old.
[5:22] Speaker 1: Beeah and how they and how they did it as well.
[5:26] Speaker 1: On top of that, twenty years old, three of the
[5:28] Speaker 1: biggest sports stars in the country were conscripted to go,
[5:31] Speaker 1: including the late great Bob Fulton. Bob Fulton, but he
[5:35] Speaker 1: was his job was when they went over, I think
[5:39] Speaker 1: I think it was basically when Bozo was in charge
[5:43] Speaker 1: of keeping the young soldiers fit when they were going
[5:46] Speaker 1: to Vietnam on the boats on the way over. And
[5:49] Speaker 1: I remember once sitting down having having to boone bars.
[5:53] Speaker 1: Bob Fulton was regarded man like. He kept a lot
[5:55] Speaker 1: of things to himself. He didn't open up a lot,
[5:57] Speaker 1: you know, maybe of course to his loved one. But
[6:01] Speaker 1: I remember all the times I spent with bows of
[6:04] Speaker 1: being coached by him and whatnot. It was that day
[6:06] Speaker 1: we're talking about adjusting the rules for minim on football
[6:09] Speaker 1: about you know, way get into the boring facet of
[6:12] Speaker 1: But out of the blue, he started talking about Vietnam
[6:16] Speaker 1: and he was saying, on the boats over there, he said,
[6:19] Speaker 1: he'll never ever ever forget. He said, the horrors and
[6:23] Speaker 1: what young what those young soldiers go through, He said,
[6:26] Speaker 1: you gotta understand, He said, a lot of them are
[6:28] Speaker 1: never fired again. They just learned how to fire a gun.
[6:30] Speaker 1: And he said, on those boats when they were getting
[6:34] Speaker 1: close to the zone, to the zone, and they're getting
[6:37] Speaker 1: closer and closer to that, to the war zone, he said,
[6:41] Speaker 1: the predominant smell on the boat was urine. All those
[6:46] Speaker 1: young men were so terrified. Now that is just that
[6:49] Speaker 1: is heartbreaking. So a lot of people, you know, like
[6:52] Speaker 1: you just got to remember that sometimes when it comes
[6:54] Speaker 1: to war, is that individuals. The man on the street
[6:57] Speaker 1: doesn't declear war. In a country, enforcement would go the war.
[7:00] Speaker 1: It's the fucking governments.
[7:03] Speaker 4: That's all we got time for.
[7:07] Speaker 6: Somber.
[7:07] Speaker 4: It's a good conversation. It's just more serious than we're
[7:10] Speaker 4: used to.
[7:10] Speaker 6: But one wing though, the Americans, it's one thing that
[7:14] Speaker 6: I'd really commend them on. They bored anyone in armed forces,
[7:21] Speaker 6: oh yeah, or retired our forces, they bored and get
[7:24] Speaker 6: off the flight first. They get preferred respect.
[7:27] Speaker 4: They really respect their veterans, like even like that, they
[7:30] Speaker 4: very thank you for your service, like absolutely, but yeah,
[7:33] Speaker 4: you tell someone you're a veteran. Over there, they're very
[7:35] Speaker 4: whereas here we're probably less emphasis on our army and
[7:39] Speaker 4: our and like war. So we're probably we're almost a
[7:43] Speaker 4: little bit like no one looks down on that, but
[7:46] Speaker 4: like there's not like that level of respect there.
[7:49] Speaker 1: When you go through into the country. A couple of
[7:51] Speaker 1: times I've gone through and I've had men have told
[7:55] Speaker 1: me I've served, and I've served with Australian soldiers and
[7:58] Speaker 1: they they're great men.
[8:00] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[8:00] Speaker 6: Stand Australians always have a.
[8:02] Speaker 1: Very big run, very very good reputa very strong reputation.
[8:06] Speaker 6: So we better get started a little bit.
[8:09] Speaker 4: Sorry just before, has anyone he fired a gun?
[8:14] Speaker 6: I've never y I would like to try.
[8:16] Speaker 4: I shot one in New Zealand in the Deep South
[8:19] Speaker 4: in the cargo shot a duck.
[8:22] Speaker 3: What for?
[8:23] Speaker 4: Remember when I went over there for New Zealand tour,
[8:25] Speaker 4: I stayed with a fellow named Flynt Thomas. I believe
[8:28] Speaker 4: he ended up playing for the Highlanders or the Chiefs
[8:29] Speaker 4: or something. Actually Flint Thomas, good player, and he had
[8:32] Speaker 4: a where I was billeted his place at a huge property.
[8:36] Speaker 4: Tell missed, you know what's funny, Actually, like guys, says.
[8:41] Speaker 6: Matt, that eats pecking duck all the time.
[8:44] Speaker 4: No, no, no, it was like it was legal. It
[8:46] Speaker 4: was all pest.
[8:48] Speaker 1: Look it was.
[8:50] Speaker 4: But I remember when you're a young fellow going into
[8:52] Speaker 4: the NL, they send you to rookie camp. So like
[8:55] Speaker 4: rookie camp supposed to teach the young NRL players how
[8:58] Speaker 4: to act like adults. And they'll put up like pictures
[9:02] Speaker 4: and like, you know, scenarios like Rotto, what if you're
[9:04] Speaker 4: at a bar and someone comes up to you and
[9:06] Speaker 4: is trying to fight you, and then they'll go action
[9:08] Speaker 4: like actors come in and they put their scenario. But
[9:12] Speaker 4: one of those things was they go through everyone's instagram
[9:14] Speaker 4: who was in the camp that year, and they pick
[9:16] Speaker 4: out people who, like every year promoting something that wasn't
[9:19] Speaker 4: what an NRL player should be promoting, like we're some
[9:23] Speaker 4: sort of jail to conform to societal norms.
[9:26] Speaker 6: Man coming.
[9:30] Speaker 4: Yeah, they realized that, don't our listeners realized the temp
[9:35] Speaker 4: thank you very much. It's all about painting a picture verbally.
[9:38] Speaker 4: And then I reckon. Of the five pictures they put up,
[9:42] Speaker 4: two were mine out of a room of eighty rookies
[9:45] Speaker 4: in the A. One was me holding the duck that
[9:49] Speaker 4: shot that I shot with What the kid you were
[9:52] Speaker 4: going with? It was me and we were holding it,
[9:55] Speaker 4: and the other thumbs up.
[9:56] Speaker 6: What was this on Facebook.
[9:57] Speaker 4: It was it was on the Instagram. I think every
[9:59] Speaker 4: kid's not sitting on my Facebook anymore. They're sitting on
[10:02] Speaker 4: my Instagram. And then the next one, literally they go,
[10:04] Speaker 4: you know who's that? And I went, oh, yeah, there's
[10:06] Speaker 4: what you're doing over there. I told the story. You know,
[10:08] Speaker 4: I was over there. I was immersing myself in the
[10:10] Speaker 4: Key Week culture down in the deeper viv Cargo. I
[10:12] Speaker 4: was just trying to fit in. Yeah, would have maybe
[10:13] Speaker 4: just don't promoted on your Instagram as a young Nurrol
[10:16] Speaker 4: player or whatever. Guys. Next photo me and Haywood, my
[10:19] Speaker 4: mate who high pressure washes. Shout out the beach's window
[10:21] Speaker 4: and high pressure washing. He it's me and him, like
[10:25] Speaker 4: just at my eighteenth birthday and I'm.
[10:27] Speaker 1: Holding a beer.
[10:29] Speaker 4: One of one of my eyes was closed so it
[10:31] Speaker 4: looked like I was really blind.
[10:33] Speaker 6: And hang on, did you have like a public profile then?
[10:36] Speaker 6: So why didn't I see any of these? Uh?
[10:40] Speaker 4: It would have been no, you would have seen it,
[10:41] Speaker 4: like you just obviously didn't give a yet and who cares?
[10:45] Speaker 6: Okay, I'm your mom, Yeah, but.
[10:46] Speaker 4: Obviously you didn't. It didn't flag with you. And then
[10:48] Speaker 4: they go and who's this and it's clearly the same blow.
[10:52] Speaker 4: And I went to me again and everyone's laughing and
[10:55] Speaker 4: they go, you know, do you think it's like cool
[10:58] Speaker 4: to be showcasting you drinking? And I was like, and
[11:01] Speaker 4: I was like, fair play to young Coop, who had
[11:03] Speaker 4: a bit of a chip on his shoulder. I said, well,
[11:06] Speaker 4: in my defense, I'm having a beer with one of
[11:08] Speaker 4: the best mates. I just want to embrace the moment
[11:10] Speaker 4: and I'm not going to change my personality for just
[11:13] Speaker 4: to showcast something that I'm not. And the guy was like, oh, well, mate,
[11:17] Speaker 4: it's probably not a good look for trying to make
[11:19] Speaker 4: first grade.
[11:20] Speaker 1: We'll just say make my form will be the judge
[11:23] Speaker 1: of that, thanks very much.
[11:24] Speaker 4: Yeah, and that it wouldn't have been in hindsight, wouldn't
[11:26] Speaker 4: have been much of an argument.
[11:30] Speaker 1: You're right, there's things in there. You're having a beer
[11:32] Speaker 1: and they get for a while, they're going to be
[11:33] Speaker 1: funny about that, but at the end of the day,
[11:35] Speaker 1: you're eating years of age, you're able to drink, and
[11:37] Speaker 1: you're not standing there. So come on, everyone, get into it,
[11:39] Speaker 1: you know, and smash itself. It's a landmark, it's birthday.
[11:44] Speaker 4: They've gone away from it a little bit. There was
[11:46] Speaker 4: a few when I first came and Jack, you'd be
[11:47] Speaker 4: probably be the same when you first came into first
[11:49] Speaker 4: grade and social media was like not really as big
[11:51] Speaker 4: as it was now. They kind of wanted to protect
[11:55] Speaker 4: players from it, like showcasting their personal lives. It was
[11:57] Speaker 4: more like you know, show you doing a sauna bath,
[12:00] Speaker 4: show you you know, with the boys after a hard session.
[12:04] Speaker 4: But like no one really cares about that anymore. Like
[12:06] Speaker 4: people like to see personal life.
[12:08] Speaker 5: Well, there's more like recent ones now they do so,
[12:10] Speaker 5: like for the kid they do them at schools now.
[12:12] Speaker 5: So they get like these people that are like they're
[12:15] Speaker 5: in the tech world and they come along and they'll
[12:17] Speaker 5: show the kids what you can actually access from your
[12:19] Speaker 5: phone and social media. So like Snapchat, for example, kids
[12:23] Speaker 5: send you know, it's like people send crazy.
[12:25] Speaker 3: Shit on snake Chat, make a pictures for years.
[12:28] Speaker 2: People have been doing it.
[12:29] Speaker 5: So at this school, this guy I was there as
[12:32] Speaker 5: a player. I was there, and you go for the
[12:33] Speaker 5: schools and he got it on a PowerPoint and he
[12:36] Speaker 5: was going through people's in the rooms snapchat profiles on
[12:40] Speaker 5: his laptop on PowerPoint.
[12:42] Speaker 6: Everyone goes Snapchat. You're on supposed to see for how long.
[12:44] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's only once.
[12:46] Speaker 2: You can be unlimited.
[12:47] Speaker 4: It's like ten seconds. But people can save it. But
[12:49] Speaker 4: then you see if they save it. I remember on
[12:52] Speaker 4: Snapchat shows the dangers snatchat. This is when I was
[12:54] Speaker 4: a young fella, right, And look, I'm old enough now
[12:57] Speaker 4: to admit, you know, they may be a bit of
[13:00] Speaker 4: sex thing back in the day, you know, flirting with
[13:02] Speaker 4: the opposite sex when you're a young fellow. Everyone does it. Dad,
[13:05] Speaker 4: you probably did it. Trisa, you did it? You did
[13:07] Speaker 4: You used to fax pictures of Tricia.
[13:10] Speaker 1: Was called nightclub.
[13:11] Speaker 4: Anyway, I got done by it. Turns out it was
[13:15] Speaker 4: a bloke on the other end, right, it was some
[13:18] Speaker 4: suss sick o bloke who'd added me on Snapchat, and
[13:20] Speaker 4: I it was under a fake name that I knew
[13:23] Speaker 4: the person who was, and I thought I was talking
[13:25] Speaker 4: to it like a girl that I knew, and.
[13:29] Speaker 2: So I sent and I am so.
[13:31] Speaker 4: I didn't send a naked picture of myself, but I
[13:33] Speaker 4: sent a very revealing picture of myself, which I wish
[13:37] Speaker 4: I could have taken back. And even as I was sending, oh,
[13:41] Speaker 4: that's a bit weird to even send this, but like
[13:44] Speaker 4: they were asking for it. Whatever, and I was like sixteen, and.
[13:48] Speaker 1: It was that if they could dig it up, so
[13:51] Speaker 1: I would say, you are now the postabar of things
[13:55] Speaker 1: basically not to do idiot, Oh god, you there, what
[14:03] Speaker 1: are you doing? I'll tell you what I'm doing. I'm
[14:05] Speaker 1: just I'm just certain to anything at the moment, because
[14:08] Speaker 1: I want to talk about how much player profiles have
[14:11] Speaker 1: changed over the years. You've got You've got no idea.
[14:13] Speaker 1: If let's set me one through the other day, a
[14:15] Speaker 1: player profile from the early eighties. You have got no
[14:18] Speaker 1: idea what this guy was saying where they say, you know,
[14:21] Speaker 1: like these days, Yeah, what do you like to do
[14:23] Speaker 1: in your spare time? Young guys like I like to
[14:25] Speaker 1: gather beach or hang out with friends and family. This
[14:27] Speaker 1: guy was going and this was the norm. Mate, just
[14:29] Speaker 1: love to hammer the piss things like that, and it
[14:32] Speaker 1: just that's one of the mild ones. But this like superstitions.
[14:37] Speaker 1: Don't hang around with people who don't drink or.
[14:40] Speaker 4: Really Remember that player who signed up at the Gold Coast,
[14:44] Speaker 4: that front rower and they said, why do you want
[14:46] Speaker 4: to move to the Gold Coast?
[14:47] Speaker 6: I remember what he said, Brent, Brent Todd, we don't
[14:52] Speaker 6: even say.
[14:53] Speaker 4: Let's again he said, you know, because there's lots of
[14:56] Speaker 4: good looking girls up here and I want to be
[14:58] Speaker 4: deeper them.
[15:00] Speaker 6: Yeah, this is eighties or nineteen That was news.
[15:03] Speaker 4: That was on the news.
[15:05] Speaker 6: That was that in the nineties.
[15:06] Speaker 1: That was the nineties, was on the news.
[15:08] Speaker 2: But I think it was like his signing announcement. It
[15:10] Speaker 2: was not like a presser.
[15:11] Speaker 4: He was that like he said the signings and they asked,
[15:13] Speaker 4: why did you want to sign the and he said that,
[15:15] Speaker 4: and they showed it on the news.
[15:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, and everyone laughed. It was it was going in
[15:21] Speaker 1: the nineteen ninety two seasons.
[15:22] Speaker 6: Did he want to marry Wendy Botha?
[15:24] Speaker 1: He did marry Wendy Botha and was African. It's funny
[15:27] Speaker 1: that because my sister sister Kate was she was away
[15:34] Speaker 1: recently and she sent me a thing through and I
[15:35] Speaker 1: made him here at so and so and Brent Toddsy.
[15:38] Speaker 1: He sends his very best and I said, I said,
[15:40] Speaker 1: I'll give my best to Toddy. You have a look
[15:42] Speaker 1: at this, send it to sister Kate. Kate was like,
[15:46] Speaker 1: oh my god, Sister Kate sounds like Ned Kelly. It's
[15:50] Speaker 1: a Nate Kelly book called Sister Kate of the Oasis
[15:53] Speaker 1: concert we went to it was it was incredible. If
[15:56] Speaker 1: you're an Oasis song before we talk about the concert,
[15:59] Speaker 1: which would.
[15:59] Speaker 6: You illo, Hello, that's good, be bad, good, be back.
[16:07] Speaker 6: I just love it and it excites me because that's
[16:09] Speaker 6: how they start their concerts, like every time the same
[16:13] Speaker 6: and I just love that from the helicopter effing in
[16:18] Speaker 6: the bushes, that music, the real heavy beautiform.
[16:21] Speaker 1: That is one of the great instrumentals. Let people know
[16:24] Speaker 1: as they're walking onto the stage they play I think
[16:27] Speaker 1: you're fucking.
[16:28] Speaker 2: In the bush.
[16:30] Speaker 6: Where all the time a musical piece.
[16:33] Speaker 1: It's a musical piece. I don't even know that sensation.
[16:36] Speaker 1: You know, we did the live podcast.
[16:37] Speaker 6: That's what that looked out to didn't come.
[16:40] Speaker 4: Remember I was in a horrific car crash for Magic Round.
[16:43] Speaker 6: Remember the Imagine ground one.
[16:45] Speaker 1: Oh sorry to hear that.
[16:47] Speaker 4: It's kind of hard for me even I can tell
[16:49] Speaker 4: you what.
[16:50] Speaker 2: Gordon Field Your Place really good?
[16:51] Speaker 6: He did really well.
[16:52] Speaker 1: Stop Stop Boys. It was the year before when Billy
[16:55] Speaker 1: Waters it.
[16:56] Speaker 6: Was you did it that one too, So you started that.
[16:59] Speaker 1: That's started the fairly podcast that Lefties.
[17:02] Speaker 4: I didn't even notice anyway, I didn't.
[17:05] Speaker 1: Even know you're across it anyway.
[17:07] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, mine was Morning Glory. I love that song,
[17:11] Speaker 4: one of my favorite songs. Usually usually I wake up
[17:13] Speaker 4: with a bit of it as well.
[17:14] Speaker 6: What part is your favorite?
[17:16] Speaker 4: Nfortunate you just fished your son?
[17:18] Speaker 1: Why would you do that?
[17:20] Speaker 4: You asked me to I know, but I thought you
[17:22] Speaker 4: I was expecting a reaction of Cuba that you brought
[17:24] Speaker 4: me a gift. I do bring you a gift. Let's
[17:26] Speaker 4: not reveal it what it is though it's a book.
[17:29] Speaker 4: But yeah, that's the Morning Glory.
[17:30] Speaker 3: I love it.
[17:30] Speaker 4: It's my favorite song of their as well.
[17:32] Speaker 3: Which.
[17:34] Speaker 1: Yeah, just now Jack Johns. Jack John's letting people know
[17:40] Speaker 1: it's always little bit of left to send when it
[17:41] Speaker 1: comes to his music. What's yours? Mate?
[17:44] Speaker 2: Oh mate, mine's Wonder? Matthew?
[17:46] Speaker 1: Yeah, straight down the middle.
[17:48] Speaker 2: I really left to center.
[17:49] Speaker 5: I thought I was going to do something different, but
[17:51] Speaker 5: the fact that you said that, I like to be
[17:53] Speaker 5: confrontationals I want to do there.
[17:55] Speaker 3: I want to say, oh, maybe a song that isn't
[17:58] Speaker 3: in the mainstream like Wonder.
[18:00] Speaker 4: Looks like you two a getting on each other skin today.
[18:02] Speaker 4: I don't know if the listen has heard it. It
[18:03] Speaker 4: maybe edited out before, but Dad Dad was acting that
[18:06] Speaker 4: Dad was, you know, derailing the potty a little bit.
[18:09] Speaker 4: Jack gave him a little headshake.
[18:11] Speaker 1: Remind me, Jack, I've got something to say about this week.
[18:14] Speaker 1: Some of the one you have liked because you were
[18:15] Speaker 1: in a kiss shirt and remember it's the great Ace Freely.
[18:18] Speaker 3: Yeah. And also shouted to John Laws who's passed away, La.
[18:21] Speaker 1: Graham, richards j and Richardson.
[18:22] Speaker 5: Yeah, and.
[18:25] Speaker 1: We'll get to that one in a second. A little
[18:27] Speaker 1: special mention. Mine is first ever release single ever released
[18:32] Speaker 1: from Oasis, which was super Sonic. Because I'm feeling super
[18:35] Speaker 1: Sonic give and Tonic Sonic the hedgehot at all? But
[18:38] Speaker 1: how much do you want it?
[18:39] Speaker 2: Not really a gin man and soda.
[18:42] Speaker 1: I don't like the tonic or general water even sometimes
[18:45] Speaker 1: when I really want to rip up.
[18:48] Speaker 4: That's a desperate I think that's putting a mixer like
[18:52] Speaker 4: using water as a mixer with alcohol. That is one
[18:55] Speaker 4: of the great desperate things I've ever seen you do.
[18:56] Speaker 6: That true, No, my most desperate. I was home once
[19:00] Speaker 6: on a Friday afternoon. It just felt like a drink
[19:02] Speaker 6: had no mixes, had a bit of vodka. What can
[19:05] Speaker 6: I put that with? I mixed vodka with a bocker.
[19:12] Speaker 6: Oh did you oh white ingenious.
[19:15] Speaker 4: But that's not desperate. That's better than putting it with
[19:17] Speaker 4: water exactly. I thought it was quite Yeah, I think that's.
[19:20] Speaker 1: Not I did an experiment once back in the day
[19:23] Speaker 1: when when the good old days with mouthwash was mainly alcohol.
[19:26] Speaker 1: It was about twenty percent alcohol with a few of
[19:28] Speaker 1: the boys went right, I'm going to put vodka into
[19:30] Speaker 1: mouth washed and taste it. I got to say it
[19:31] Speaker 1: was delicious.
[19:32] Speaker 4: That's very dangerous.
[19:34] Speaker 6: So gross that is.
[19:35] Speaker 2: That is one of the scatterest things of Yeah, you're.
[19:37] Speaker 1: Really scat Yeah, well did you guys have put mouthwash
[19:43] Speaker 1: in your Maybe you too?
[19:45] Speaker 2: Should?
[19:45] Speaker 4: You know, you don't even swallow mouthwaters of the trickles down,
[19:50] Speaker 4: you know, if you have mouthwashed and then get RBT
[19:53] Speaker 4: and if you don't rinse out water.
[19:55] Speaker 5: If it's alcohol history and story. A lot of them
[19:57] Speaker 5: these days these days, because I know you U his
[20:00] Speaker 5: mouth washed much. A lot of these ones these days
[20:02] Speaker 5: don't have any alcohol in them anymore.
[20:04] Speaker 1: These actually go and make sure I've got free No, no,
[20:09] Speaker 1: what I learned there?
[20:10] Speaker 2: You are?
[20:10] Speaker 4: You know I learned back in school. So vanilla, Vanilla, yo,
[20:15] Speaker 4: know what did you used to buy all the up
[20:17] Speaker 4: and goes vanilla up, up and goes. They have vanilla
[20:19] Speaker 4: essence in them. I don't know if they still do anymore,
[20:21] Speaker 4: but the old wives tails, if you had a few
[20:22] Speaker 4: of them and it was still in your mouth, you
[20:25] Speaker 4: could alcohol would shop in an R B T. Yes,
[20:28] Speaker 4: with vanilla essence.
[20:29] Speaker 1: My great that used to make our own our own
[20:32] Speaker 1: vanilla milkshakes with the vanilla essence. Oh my god.
[20:37] Speaker 4: If you don't have if you're having a milkshake and
[20:40] Speaker 4: they don't bloody give them to you in those metal cups,
[20:43] Speaker 4: those metal cups with a metal straw. What are you
[20:47] Speaker 4: doing if you don't don't give it to me a
[20:49] Speaker 4: plastic thing? That metal cup that they make it in
[20:53] Speaker 4: just makes a milkshake unbelievably.
[20:56] Speaker 6: You used to have a milkshake makeer that had the
[20:58] Speaker 6: metal cups.
[20:59] Speaker 1: I think we used to have as song shaker making.
[21:01] Speaker 4: Remember when we used to have a fairy floss maker?
[21:04] Speaker 6: Still got it?
[21:05] Speaker 4: Where would that be?
[21:07] Speaker 3: Are you serious? That's got to be hoarding trips because
[21:09] Speaker 3: I haven't seen anyone use that in.
[21:10] Speaker 1: At least actually maybe right next to the diabetes needles
[21:13] Speaker 1: and there it.
[21:14] Speaker 4: Was actually pretty good. It was delicious.
[21:16] Speaker 6: The ferry and popcorn popp up that still.
[21:20] Speaker 4: There's a great I think we had an a snow
[21:22] Speaker 4: cone machine. Snow I used to.
[21:25] Speaker 6: Make sorbet in the Therma mix.
[21:29] Speaker 4: There was a snowcombe machine. Remember I had the button
[21:31] Speaker 4: at the top and it shaved ice and they come out.
[21:34] Speaker 4: I don't remember we did, didn't we?
[21:35] Speaker 2: Yeah? I remember the one it was. It was blue
[21:37] Speaker 2: and white, right.
[21:38] Speaker 4: Yeah, it was blue and white.
[21:39] Speaker 6: I don't remember. I must have clocked out being a
[21:43] Speaker 6: parent at that time.
[21:44] Speaker 4: Dad, do you want to do? Do you want to
[21:46] Speaker 4: while we're on that more somber stuff?
[21:48] Speaker 1: Do we want to do a Yeah, let's a couple
[21:51] Speaker 1: of shared ass of course. Ace Freely, who none of
[21:54] Speaker 1: us knew, but as a fan of Ace back in
[21:56] Speaker 1: the day New York Groove fantastic died through the week.
[22:00] Speaker 1: He had some sort of life face. Really, my god,
[22:02] Speaker 1: it's hit himself for six It's quite amazing. He lived
[22:05] Speaker 1: till his mid seventies. The late John Laws had a
[22:08] Speaker 1: bit to do with Lawsy over the year. Ninety years
[22:12] Speaker 1: of age. We's seventy years and age?
[22:14] Speaker 4: What do you have to do with him?
[22:15] Speaker 2: Where is that? Through?
[22:16] Speaker 1: We had the same manager, and we'd oftentimes go to
[22:19] Speaker 1: lunch with Lawsy or I'd go to his studio and
[22:22] Speaker 1: do stuff. And he came into Trip Lamb a couple
[22:24] Speaker 1: of times.
[22:24] Speaker 2: Did he like you?
[22:26] Speaker 1: I'd like to think so, yeah, But like he used
[22:28] Speaker 1: to go, I've got him on the lane at the moment,
[22:32] Speaker 1: may friend Maddie, Hello, Maddie, how are you? And how's Andy? Yeah?
[22:38] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I know. He used to call Jackie Jackie
[22:40] Speaker 4: nort Yeah, Jackie.
[22:41] Speaker 1: Norton because he used to blow up because I think
[22:44] Speaker 1: he was waiting on the line one day. I was
[22:46] Speaker 1: listening to A life for some reason that day, and
[22:49] Speaker 1: he was They got him the line John Law's simultaneously
[22:53] Speaker 1: Jackie's talking about her vagina and Lawsy just hung up. Yeah,
[22:56] Speaker 1: He's in the background and going, I'm not going to
[22:58] Speaker 1: listen to that filthy old school.
[23:00] Speaker 2: I love his I love when he loves his wild turkey.
[23:04] Speaker 6: Oh he does love his wild turkey and his princess.
[23:08] Speaker 1: Did he have a princess? He passed a years ago. Yeah,
[23:11] Speaker 1: but you go down Wollomloo Wharf there where he lived.
[23:15] Speaker 1: His niaghbor was Russell Crowe. Right at the end of
[23:17] Speaker 1: the Finger Warf. There at Wollemeloo and he was always
[23:20] Speaker 1: there around a table permanently.
[23:22] Speaker 6: Yeah, I was a China doll. Remember the night I
[23:26] Speaker 6: didn't come home. I stayed at my conference and he
[23:29] Speaker 6: came into China doll. There he was in a wheelchair.
[23:31] Speaker 3: He was being well, why weren't why didn't you come
[23:33] Speaker 3: home that time?
[23:34] Speaker 4: Probably fell asleep with another boat. Probably for us young
[23:39] Speaker 4: guys who probably don't understand how big John Laws was
[23:42] Speaker 4: because I know, I know who he is given the SPA,
[23:45] Speaker 4: and I know the magnitude that he was one of
[23:47] Speaker 4: the best at radio ever, but just how big was
[23:50] Speaker 4: he in the context of Australian media.
[23:53] Speaker 1: Massive huge. I don't know who it'd even liked him to.
[23:57] Speaker 1: Probably i'd say Eddie McGuire is very peak. Oh wow, okay,
[24:02] Speaker 1: maybe even more. He was influential, as.
[24:05] Speaker 6: I think John Laws is more influenced now.
[24:07] Speaker 1: That John Laws, I think, you know, with radio but
[24:10] Speaker 1: also television. Who was on Bandstand, He did quite a
[24:13] Speaker 1: bit of singing.
[24:14] Speaker 6: Had his own talk show before my time.
[24:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he was.
[24:18] Speaker 3: He was.
[24:18] Speaker 5: He was his main sort of thing of it was
[24:21] Speaker 5: he just like was it everything like sort of like
[24:23] Speaker 5: political sport.
[24:25] Speaker 1: Jack He was He was across everything right, and I
[24:28] Speaker 1: mean his mainstay was radio of course, Golden Tonsils.
[24:32] Speaker 5: Talking about quickly. If I look at Maddie, John's like,
[24:34] Speaker 5: okay laugh. But also you gotta get some rugby league insight,
[24:38] Speaker 5: you thought, John Laws?
[24:39] Speaker 2: What did you think?
[24:39] Speaker 1: I think? Jack? It was just a complete range of things,
[24:42] Speaker 1: so people could bring up going, Hey, Laws, Yeah, Going
[24:45] Speaker 1: made him a Tigers fan of I was going. He
[24:47] Speaker 1: could engage that conversation. Then the next person could jump
[24:50] Speaker 1: on and go, what about this labor party?
[24:52] Speaker 2: He go like that.
[24:52] Speaker 1: Remember once we're having lunch and I said to Laws,
[24:55] Speaker 1: have you got a background in journalism? He goes, no,
[24:57] Speaker 1: he said, Madie, I'm not a journalist. I'm an entertainer.
[25:00] Speaker 1: Oh wow, So that was I think he was the
[25:02] Speaker 1: first one to really of the DJs not to be
[25:07] Speaker 1: what I would describe as shock jock, but to go
[25:09] Speaker 1: on as just an entertainment.
[25:11] Speaker 4: Yeah, but if very old probably the last, like apart
[25:15] Speaker 4: from Kyle, I would say, there's not really any left
[25:17] Speaker 4: of that real old school like mentality of shock jock esque.
[25:22] Speaker 6: But no one else gets away with it these days.
[25:24] Speaker 4: No one can.
[25:26] Speaker 1: The other one who is Senator Graham Richardson for the
[25:28] Speaker 1: Labor Party. You guys never met Richo.
[25:30] Speaker 6: Richo was one to get you into the party at
[25:34] Speaker 6: one point.
[25:34] Speaker 1: Didn't he got right for politics? I said, I said, Richer,
[25:39] Speaker 1: any political party that would hire me I would not
[25:42] Speaker 1: vote for.
[25:42] Speaker 4: You'd be good, I reckon, you'd be good at politics
[25:45] Speaker 4: as the faith. No, but you'd be good as the
[25:47] Speaker 4: face because you morally you know what's the right thing.
[25:50] Speaker 4: I mean, you're not across a lot of the politics side,
[25:53] Speaker 4: but a lot of them aren't anyway. A lot of
[25:55] Speaker 4: them are there to be the face and morally make
[25:57] Speaker 4: the right decision, but they have experts underneath it.
[26:00] Speaker 1: Yeah. Actually, maybe I would be got a good politician.
[26:03] Speaker 1: I could talk about morals and then live completely the
[26:06] Speaker 1: opposite way.
[26:09] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[26:10] Speaker 1: Rich a larger than life character. We get involved a
[26:12] Speaker 1: lot with him when he was in the Arl Super
[26:14] Speaker 1: League War. Who's on the Arl side but larger than life?
[26:17] Speaker 1: And the last one, I finally just want to say people,
[26:21] Speaker 1: the passing of ethel Peden, who was Dad's best mate,
[26:24] Speaker 1: who was is the father of the great Billy pudin
[26:28] Speaker 1: a legendary publican up in the Hunter Valley. But Athol
[26:31] Speaker 1: is just one of life's great most beautiful, meaning a
[26:35] Speaker 1: beautiful man. And that Puedin's hotel which is still up
[26:38] Speaker 1: there at seth Snott was called when they sold it,
[26:41] Speaker 1: they called it the abbidear Aberdeer Tavn. I think for
[26:43] Speaker 1: a while, but now Rightfley is back to being called
[26:46] Speaker 1: Peden's Corner in honor of the Pedin family and Athol
[26:50] Speaker 1: in particular. But great man, great character, made that pub
[26:56] Speaker 1: back cool pub. Athlete used to get there sometimes and
[26:59] Speaker 1: ride his horse into the bar.
[27:01] Speaker 4: I was up there no longer. I had a feed
[27:03] Speaker 4: with gas there, bloody good feed too, and the menu
[27:05] Speaker 4: is huge. So if you're up there, stop on through
[27:08] Speaker 4: for a feed and have a beer for Ethel, for us.
[27:10] Speaker 1: And if you want to know what Ethel Putin was like,
[27:12] Speaker 1: people go and meet Billy Pete. Yeah they are the same,
[27:16] Speaker 1: they are.
[27:17] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[27:17] Speaker 6: I've never met a father and son so alike apart.
[27:20] Speaker 4: From Dad and gaze more and more every year. Jeremy
[27:26] Speaker 4: sal lesterigas you can track as a horse if you
[27:28] Speaker 4: punch it in the neck. Let's talk about Oasis for.
[27:30] Speaker 6: A second, because my journey there which took to it.
[27:34] Speaker 1: I'm sorry people, we've got nearly thirty minutes here. There's
[27:36] Speaker 1: been some more stuff, but there's things you just got
[27:38] Speaker 1: to do it.
[27:39] Speaker 4: Hey, you know what I mean. There's there's stuff that's
[27:42] Speaker 4: like you know what I mean on the way out
[27:44] Speaker 4: to Oasis. Right, So just for context, Dad is an
[27:48] Speaker 4: anxious person. Dad wants to be places on time, and
[27:51] Speaker 4: he wants to be early. Now this Oasis did get
[27:55] Speaker 4: on stage to laid forty five. The preact wasn't start
[27:58] Speaker 4: until seven point thirty. We probably live we're probably an
[28:01] Speaker 4: hour away from yeah, and there's a bit of traffic,
[28:03] Speaker 4: so we're going to allow about an hour and a half.
[28:05] Speaker 4: Dad suggested we get an uber at four pm, which
[28:08] Speaker 4: is three and a half hours before the first act
[28:10] Speaker 4: even got on. We said absolutely not, we are not going.
[28:14] Speaker 4: Then we said about five, which reluctantly Dad agreed to.
[28:18] Speaker 4: Dad was so excited. He jumps in the uber and
[28:21] Speaker 4: he's looking at He's watching the There's a lot of
[28:23] Speaker 4: traffic coming through in our local area. Dad's staring around.
[28:26] Speaker 4: Dad's suggesting that, you know, the uber driver go around.
[28:29] Speaker 4: At one stage, Tris started to feel Dang's anxiety, so
[28:32] Speaker 4: she was I remember my favorite credit.
[28:34] Speaker 1: Of the night.
[28:35] Speaker 4: Trish goes asked the Uber driver, do you have ways?
[28:39] Speaker 6: And he's obviously he doesn't use ways.
[28:41] Speaker 4: And he goes, he goes yeah, he goes, do you
[28:44] Speaker 4: know what ways is? And I'm going, don't ask an
[28:46] Speaker 4: Uber driver who drives for a living if they have ways,
[28:48] Speaker 4: And the guy goes, I'm using Google Maps. Just go
[28:51] Speaker 4: but does that how you like wear live updates of
[28:53] Speaker 4: the traffic and stuff? And he goes, yeah, I'm pretty
[28:54] Speaker 4: sure they do. I mean, but then Dad's got one
[28:58] Speaker 4: of the great baby bladders of all time, so dad
[29:01] Speaker 4: cannot if there's anything over an hour. Dad's like looking
[29:05] Speaker 4: early and seeing where he can urinate.
[29:07] Speaker 1: Along the way. Big Tom.
[29:08] Speaker 5: He's going to the driver he made in about twenty minutes.
[29:11] Speaker 5: We're going to see on this road, we're going to
[29:12] Speaker 5: see a shell servo if you pull over, and he goes.
[29:16] Speaker 5: Even the drivers goes, oh, I'll drive you every day.
[29:19] Speaker 5: I don't think there's a shell servo there. Dad's going, yes,
[29:22] Speaker 5: trust me, it is there.
[29:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, And I always go, right, what's the heart which
[29:25] Speaker 1: way we're going to go? Mate? What's the route? Must
[29:27] Speaker 1: be great, there's a halfway point just there.
[29:29] Speaker 4: And we get there and there was no shell servo
[29:31] Speaker 4: must have been like discontinued.
[29:33] Speaker 6: Or something that I think he thought he was on
[29:34] Speaker 6: the wrong raid.
[29:35] Speaker 4: They ran out of fuel. Anyway, The only place to
[29:39] Speaker 4: go before Dad literally urinated was cemetery. Was the cemetery
[29:43] Speaker 4: of which our Auntie Tricia's sister was buried. Yes, and
[29:49] Speaker 4: well lucky that like this.
[29:51] Speaker 1: It was open.
[29:52] Speaker 4: There was no one there, but the toilets must just
[29:53] Speaker 4: be public.
[29:55] Speaker 6: They they're open. Yeah, so they'd get closer the same time.
[29:59] Speaker 6: I don't imagine.
[30:00] Speaker 1: We drove into the cemetery and we used the toilet there.
[30:03] Speaker 4: Yeah, and what you know it was when I was
[30:06] Speaker 4: doing this, I thought this, we shouldn't be doing this.
[30:08] Speaker 4: But it wasn't as bad as I originally thought.
[30:13] Speaker 6: Tombstars, did you use a toilet?
[30:16] Speaker 5: I'm the only one I didn't have to use the toilet.
[30:17] Speaker 5: And I sat in the car with our driver and
[30:19] Speaker 5: g Wiz. Once he's all going of the car, he
[30:22] Speaker 5: was he was pretty happy with me. He was having
[30:24] Speaker 5: quite a giggle to hisself, was going, well, this is
[30:26] Speaker 5: the first to me.
[30:27] Speaker 4: Yeah, he thought it was very very talk about you
[30:29] Speaker 4: end up here, brother, And I remember when we got
[30:31] Speaker 4: to the concert that the people that were with Dad.
[30:35] Speaker 4: Dad actually came to me and said he actually dobbed
[30:37] Speaker 4: himself into me because he must have realized what a
[30:39] Speaker 4: wayker he was starting to sound like. Do you remember
[30:41] Speaker 4: somebody asked, Dad, you ever played here at the Course Stadium?
[30:46] Speaker 6: Did you think?
[30:46] Speaker 2: Know?
[30:46] Speaker 1: That was a long version? That was the short version.
[30:49] Speaker 1: It started with blows because everyone when you get to
[30:51] Speaker 1: a concert, everyone sizing each other up. How long have
[30:54] Speaker 1: you been on Oasis fan?
[30:55] Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a That was a big bit of
[30:57] Speaker 2: that going on there on there.
[30:58] Speaker 1: Because he's earned anyone who listened to this podcast know
[31:01] Speaker 1: that I've been a huge Oasis fan for basically.
[31:05] Speaker 6: Well, we saw them the first time in two thousand.
[31:07] Speaker 1: And one or two two thousand and one, I think
[31:11] Speaker 1: it was, But I first was the Oasis when we
[31:14] Speaker 1: want to win. I won a World Cup tour and
[31:17] Speaker 1: definitely maybe wasn't long out and I bought it because
[31:21] Speaker 1: someone had tipped off the Beatles. We went to the
[31:24] Speaker 1: Beatles Museum and then someone tipped off to myself and
[31:27] Speaker 1: Frank Pinisy, mate, you should have listened to this bands
[31:29] Speaker 1: come out in the UK. It's called Oasis. So I
[31:32] Speaker 1: bought that made fantastic so I'm getting there and I've
[31:35] Speaker 1: gone said, oh, how long you've been an Oasis fan for?
[31:38] Speaker 1: And I went, oh, well, mate, I went away on
[31:41] Speaker 1: a tour and mate, I bought the first album when
[31:44] Speaker 1: I was over there, which just come out. And he goes, oh,
[31:46] Speaker 1: I was like a Kentucky tour, so that leaves me
[31:49] Speaker 1: to my first big noting thing. I go, no, no,
[31:52] Speaker 1: it was Kangaroo tour like a World Cup four and
[31:54] Speaker 1: I played for Australia. Oh okay, no worries, mate, you
[31:57] Speaker 1: must have played we did? He just play there? So
[31:59] Speaker 1: I went stadium? You played at Wembley Stadium? Wow, I've
[32:02] Speaker 1: gone yeah. Then he's gone, mate, have you ever played
[32:05] Speaker 1: here at of course stadium? I went yeah, yeah, actually
[32:08] Speaker 1: I played here in the first ever game of any
[32:11] Speaker 1: sort or athletic after I pursued at this before the Olympics,
[32:16] Speaker 1: at this ground when it was the official opening of
[32:19] Speaker 1: the stadi pregnant with you and I said, mate, we
[32:21] Speaker 1: played the first of the game. He goes, oh, yeah,
[32:23] Speaker 1: well who you played again? So we played manly? Did
[32:25] Speaker 1: you just win?
[32:26] Speaker 3: Yeah?
[32:26] Speaker 1: We won? Was there a big crowd here? I said?
[32:29] Speaker 1: One hundred and seven thousand people here? And at the time,
[32:32] Speaker 1: I think to himself, Fuck, I've just big note, I've
[32:35] Speaker 1: just given this one lie relentless. Big Mart ended up
[32:39] Speaker 1: walking to coops.
[32:39] Speaker 4: To mate, come over and just I don't even know
[32:43] Speaker 4: why I dobbed himself and he come over and he goes, oh, mate,
[32:47] Speaker 4: you wouldn't believe what I've just done.
[32:48] Speaker 2: What do you do is that?
[32:49] Speaker 4: I just I literally just spoke about myself for ten
[32:52] Speaker 4: minutes to this guy. And I just felt what a
[32:54] Speaker 4: wanker I would have stopped like, because I think you
[32:56] Speaker 4: even said that you scored, you got me out of
[32:58] Speaker 4: the match.
[32:58] Speaker 1: The Oh yeah I did. I said, I got to
[33:02] Speaker 1: tytional thickets.
[33:04] Speaker 3: What that was?
[33:05] Speaker 1: That was basically de strawed the ba. He was a
[33:08] Speaker 1: good dude. He was one of He was a made
[33:10] Speaker 1: of fletchers.
[33:10] Speaker 6: Oh, I apologize to you.
[33:13] Speaker 1: He had gone and spoken the flesh what oh man?
[33:16] Speaker 4: And I put my phone out in front of him
[33:18] Speaker 4: and I said, we got to talk about this on
[33:19] Speaker 4: the podium, right this.
[33:19] Speaker 2: All now talk about Dickie Wilkins. There he was, he
[33:23] Speaker 2: wasn't he got there at first?
[33:25] Speaker 6: He was momentarily, wasn't Heah.
[33:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[33:29] Speaker 6: He came for the first song and left.
[33:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, Cooper. He popped up behind Cooper's head.
[33:33] Speaker 4: And my favorite bit was he he's sitting because me,
[33:36] Speaker 4: Dad and Jack was sitting together. And don't know why
[33:39] Speaker 4: Trish was up the east end. She was somewhere else
[33:42] Speaker 4: and Dicky Wilkins stats behind sits behind us and Dad.
[33:45] Speaker 4: You must have had a lot to do with Richard
[33:46] Speaker 4: Wilkins in your time, given like throughout footy and whatnot
[33:50] Speaker 4: channel line. Yeah, he had heaps to do with him.
[33:53] Speaker 4: So Dad grabbed and Dad's well hydrated at this point.
[33:55] Speaker 4: Dad grabs him on the knee and he's like did
[33:57] Speaker 4: he and you could tell did. He looked down at
[34:00] Speaker 4: Dad and it was like he didn't click at first.
[34:05] Speaker 2: That it was you, and he was just like you
[34:07] Speaker 2: know what I mean.
[34:09] Speaker 4: He's just like, yes, good on your mates, good on
[34:10] Speaker 4: your beat. And then after about like two minutes he
[34:13] Speaker 4: must have clicked for him. And then he was like, Maddie, Maddie,
[34:16] Speaker 4: and he asked you, I can't remember the name of someone,
[34:20] Speaker 4: so I thought he said bean, yeah, and Dad goes,
[34:23] Speaker 4: he goes, where's Pete? And Dad goes, there's no no,
[34:26] Speaker 4: But I don't know a bean. There's no being here.
[34:29] Speaker 4: Literally right next to Dad, there's a guy and he's like, oh,
[34:33] Speaker 4: I'm right here, and Dad knew who Pete was. Yeah,
[34:35] Speaker 4: and then he was like, oh right, and then Richard
[34:38] Speaker 4: Wilkins to him are talking. I reckon. Two minutes later,
[34:41] Speaker 4: not even one or two songs in, we look back
[34:44] Speaker 4: and they're just gone.
[34:44] Speaker 1: Dickie's gone. I sensed when he walked in Dickie was
[34:48] Speaker 1: in a foul mood. He didn't have that sort of
[34:52] Speaker 1: friendly paddle pop line look about him. It was a
[34:54] Speaker 1: little bit looked, a little bit aggravated.
[34:56] Speaker 4: Is he a friendly guy?
[34:57] Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, he's a good fellow Dickie.
[34:59] Speaker 6: Oh, he's somewhat like preserved. I think. I think a
[35:03] Speaker 6: man that's been burnt.
[35:06] Speaker 3: That's what I like.
[35:08] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[35:09] Speaker 6: But you know, we had a great night with her
[35:11] Speaker 6: and his son one his son and I were great pals.
[35:16] Speaker 1: Christian. Yeah, I must say, Jack Coops. The we got
[35:22] Speaker 1: caught up in the mood of the occasion when Lived
[35:24] Speaker 1: Forever happened. Come on, we're singing, and all of a
[35:27] Speaker 1: sudden there's a lyric in the preceeds. That lyric you
[35:32] Speaker 1: and I are going to live forever. It goes, we
[35:34] Speaker 1: see things they'll never see. You and I have a
[35:36] Speaker 1: good so back in the day, me and Bales, we're
[35:40] Speaker 1: going to get a tattoo, is he other? We'll see
[35:42] Speaker 1: things they'll never see. You and I are going to
[35:44] Speaker 1: live forever. And I said, I ran it past the boys.
[35:46] Speaker 1: I said, tomorrow, let's go and get a tatoo. Yeah.
[35:50] Speaker 1: We spoke about this on the early Tricia and I
[35:53] Speaker 1: spoke about last night. Trisa. I just said, oh, mate,
[35:56] Speaker 1: going to get a tattoo tomorrow. She said who? And
[35:59] Speaker 1: I said, myself and Coop we're going to see if
[36:01] Speaker 1: Jack's going to be in. She goes, You're what I said.
[36:04] Speaker 1: You're going to get a little one, just a little
[36:05] Speaker 1: one that's going to We'll see things I'll never see.
[36:08] Speaker 4: She goes, yeah, I've already been messaging tatoo artists.
[36:15] Speaker 2: You can look.
[36:15] Speaker 4: You can listen here, Hey listener, Darhla. You can put
[36:19] Speaker 4: a chain around this bloke's neck all you want.
[36:21] Speaker 6: But all I have ever asked of you boys, ever
[36:24] Speaker 6: since you were very little, was promise me you'll never
[36:28] Speaker 6: ride a motorbike and never get to take Well.
[36:30] Speaker 4: I've already broken the motorbike thing. I crashed one in
[36:32] Speaker 4: BALI about four years ago.
[36:33] Speaker 1: Just brought Harley went straight through.
[36:35] Speaker 4: It went straight through a wooden door, wrote it off.
[36:37] Speaker 4: Harry Grant had to help me pay off for Barlow
[36:39] Speaker 4: whose bike I rode over. So I've broken that one
[36:43] Speaker 4: and I'm getting a bloke. I'm getting this tato if
[36:45] Speaker 4: it's the last thing I do. On how you coming?
[36:47] Speaker 6: You have to leave. You have to leave.
[36:49] Speaker 4: Well been evicted from the big house. Pack up your
[36:52] Speaker 4: thng and leave.
[36:54] Speaker 1: Away final sALS and other address. Just let me tell

[37:03] Speaker 6: Tell your tattoo won't look good on your tiner versa
[37:05] Speaker 6: color and your scooba.
[37:07] Speaker 2: I don't have it.
[37:09] Speaker 4: I'm getting. I'm getting on the back of my arm.
[37:11] Speaker 4: I'm going on my trice.
[37:12] Speaker 6: I really don't with us different.
[37:14] Speaker 2: I'm on my forehead.
[37:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, get one around my neck.
[37:18] Speaker 4: That's a cool one.
[37:19] Speaker 1: Tear drop.
[37:20] Speaker 4: Children, don't listen my mate, just so my one of
[37:23] Speaker 4: my mates, Roachi the roach, the roach, mystery's up on.
[37:26] Speaker 4: He's living in the Central Coast and he's got like
[37:29] Speaker 4: he almost looks like a bikey roach. He has tattoos
[37:32] Speaker 4: everywhere neck, his whole back.
[37:34] Speaker 6: Lovely looking, beautiful eyed roaches, doesn't It almost looks like
[37:38] Speaker 6: a biking I think he looks like.
[37:40] Speaker 4: Sorry, he looks like you like he's but he's like
[37:42] Speaker 4: the friendliest guy, like he's the best guy until you
[37:44] Speaker 4: cross him biking friends.
[37:46] Speaker 1: And yeah, we have make a lot of the bike
[37:47] Speaker 1: gettings wrapped on the Gold Coast. We brought in the
[37:49] Speaker 1: Gold Coast, so.
[37:51] Speaker 4: We haven't bought that loyalty though. And then Hayward, my mate,
[37:55] Speaker 4: the high pressure washer I was talking about before, he's
[37:57] Speaker 4: got He got a little tatoo on his back the
[37:58] Speaker 4: other day and he was like, he's like, I just
[38:01] Speaker 4: got a back taps. He goes, I feel like Roachie,
[38:04] Speaker 4: who's just covered in my head to toe? And I
[38:06] Speaker 4: show us, show us, mate, it is. It's almost the
[38:10] Speaker 4: equivalent of a tramp stamp for a bloke. He's just
[38:13] Speaker 4: got like it just says, I can't see the forest
[38:16] Speaker 4: through the trees and it's just tiny cursy writing in
[38:20] Speaker 4: the middle of his back. And I said, what the
[38:23] Speaker 4: hell did you get that for? And he said, I
[38:24] Speaker 4: just thought it was such.
[38:25] Speaker 1: A good like and yet it should be can't see
[38:28] Speaker 1: the tattoo for the hair get older?
[38:30] Speaker 6: Is that he's got beautiful skin. He's half Chinese's half
[38:34] Speaker 6: steady On. He has beautiful skin.
[38:36] Speaker 2: Steady On.
[38:36] Speaker 1: The Communists will take exception of that.
[38:38] Speaker 4: Yeah, he does have very very flaccid skin.
[38:41] Speaker 5: Can we just flaccid and also shared while we're on
[38:45] Speaker 5: the biking shadow biking friends. I've actually helped Cooper out
[38:47] Speaker 5: of the pickle once before, so I know we don't
[38:51] Speaker 5: allude to what it was, but yeah, put it this way.
[38:54] Speaker 5: They helped to keep out of the pickle once or twice,
[38:56] Speaker 5: certainly did.
[38:57] Speaker 1: At the end of the day, they just blokes all
[38:59] Speaker 1: together riding riding bikes.
[39:02] Speaker 6: Do you know what I thought? It was really interesting
[39:03] Speaker 6: when we arrived at the Oasis concert. Out the front
[39:07] Speaker 6: of the Pullman was the Samoan team.
[39:10] Speaker 4: Oh yeah, the Simon.
[39:11] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[39:12] Speaker 6: I was staying out at the hotels at a call
[39:15] Speaker 6: there and New Zealand was staying across at the other hotel.
[39:17] Speaker 4: An overtell they're literally fifty Yeah, if anyone's ever been
[39:21] Speaker 4: to a call the two hotels out there. But they
[39:24] Speaker 4: were playing at Combak. So they're playing in Paramatta and
[39:26] Speaker 4: they've put them out at home Bush where there is
[39:29] Speaker 4: nothing to do. They've been out there for the week
[39:31] Speaker 4: the boys were like that.
[39:32] Speaker 6: Board because not only then you've got two nights of
[39:35] Speaker 6: massive oasis.
[39:36] Speaker 4: Crowd, no wonder like on Sunday, no one looked tired
[39:40] Speaker 4: towards the back into the game because they've been kept
[39:42] Speaker 4: up all night by bloody oasis fan.
[39:44] Speaker 1: I wish I had bought chairs in the flag producing them.
[39:48] Speaker 1: Did you see the supporters flake they will put to
[39:54] Speaker 1: New Zealand. New Zealand in the rise the Rise of
[39:57] Speaker 1: Tonga and someho Zealand have been not so much put
[40:01] Speaker 1: in the shadow, but you don't think of about it
[40:02] Speaker 1: a lot. New Zealand the number one team in the world,
[40:05] Speaker 1: do you reckon? Yeah, they're they're number.
[40:07] Speaker 6: One there, but I mean they were above Australia.
[40:09] Speaker 1: Yeah. Well they builded us. The built thirty mil and
[40:14] Speaker 1: there's been nothing in their form to suggests that we've
[40:17] Speaker 1: gone past.
[40:17] Speaker 4: I think we beat him this year in my experts.
[40:20] Speaker 1: Really you want to play a lot better than we
[40:23] Speaker 1: did in England.
[40:24] Speaker 4: Yeah, I definitely. I think there's But when you look
[40:26] Speaker 4: at the team on the teams on like the form
[40:29] Speaker 4: players of the camp, like Australia is red hot at
[40:32] Speaker 4: the moment. They have some red hot gun players right now,
[40:35] Speaker 4: all those Broncos players who are just playing out of
[40:37] Speaker 4: their skin.
[40:37] Speaker 1: Champion team, champion individuals.
[40:40] Speaker 4: Mate a team of champions don't mean.
[40:44] Speaker 2: What did you say?
[40:45] Speaker 1: Champion term doesn't put it anyway.
[40:50] Speaker 3: Fair.
[40:51] Speaker 6: I don't think I've checked it, so I might do
[40:53] Speaker 6: it now. But one of my listeners, you know how
[40:55] Speaker 6: Uncle John's very proud of the fact that he's seventy negative.
[41:00] Speaker 4: He's the rarest blood type in the world.
[41:01] Speaker 6: He says, well, he's not. There's a rareer blood type. Apparently,
[41:07] Speaker 6: apparently there is another type which is neither negative or positive.
[41:12] Speaker 6: It's called null.
[41:13] Speaker 1: Is it Basque blood?
[41:15] Speaker 6: I'm just about to google it?
[41:16] Speaker 4: Tell you what did you not write it down?
[41:19] Speaker 3: Yeah?
[41:19] Speaker 4: It's called h noll So what are you googling?
[41:23] Speaker 6: I'm just making sure it is?
[41:26] Speaker 4: Should have googled it.
[41:26] Speaker 6: Yes, type is vital for treating it.
[41:30] Speaker 1: Is there any culture or race that's more predominant in
[41:33] Speaker 1: because I heard the Basque, The Basque genetics and Basque
[41:37] Speaker 1: blood type is very different to any other in the world. Yeah,
[41:40] Speaker 1: so the bus we don't care about the bark France
[41:44] Speaker 1: and Spain.
[41:44] Speaker 4: And when I did that symbol, that was what we're
[41:47] Speaker 4: talking about is so boring the Golden Blood, like you know, respectfully, just.
[41:52] Speaker 1: How genius from Oasis Jack and added that collaboration.
[41:57] Speaker 6: Oh yeah, you've got a hat coming. I couldn't line
[42:00] Speaker 6: up the stadium.
[42:02] Speaker 1: Every we looked was one of those shirts, bucket hats, shoes, everything.
[42:07] Speaker 4: I saw a stat online what they made in the
[42:10] Speaker 4: last twelve months of touring. They've made more than than
[42:15] Speaker 4: Green Day has made in the last like ten years
[42:17] Speaker 4: of touring.
[42:18] Speaker 2: I believe that.
[42:19] Speaker 6: I don't think they are comparat enough the last ten years.
[42:23] Speaker 4: Bloody good mate, I didn't know everyone's shipping on Green Day.
[42:26] Speaker 4: I walk the lonely road beyond.
[42:29] Speaker 1: Remember that the last time they came to Australia they
[42:31] Speaker 1: played pubs.
[42:32] Speaker 4: No, no they didn't because ras Man went to watch
[42:34] Speaker 4: Green Day.
[42:35] Speaker 2: I'm so sorry it is today I do.
[42:38] Speaker 6: It's my own version of family feud. You on it,
[42:41] Speaker 6: hold on one, we can just do it another time.
[42:44] Speaker 3: We'll do it.
[42:45] Speaker 1: You always do this, You always get you go. You
[42:48] Speaker 1: know I'm not quick. While we're on Oasis, film.
[42:51] Speaker 4: Fame Vinyl, No, hang on, hang on, Yeah you can film.
[42:56] Speaker 1: Phone Vinyl, Gold, Silver Bronze. The greatest lead singer of
[43:01] Speaker 1: all times, but it's got to be bands.
[43:04] Speaker 6: Brandon Flowers from the Killers. My silver is Liam Gallagher
[43:07] Speaker 6: of Oasis, and my goal goes to Chris Martin of
[43:09] Speaker 6: Coldplay numerous times except for The Killers.
[43:15] Speaker 1: Just Pultra Chris.
[43:17] Speaker 4: Chris Martin is very good. Dad hates him because he
[43:21] Speaker 4: thinks he's limp roosted. I think he's awesome.
[43:23] Speaker 6: Yeah, now he's a great I got bronze.
[43:26] Speaker 4: Liam Gallagher our man. I wouldn't never have had him
[43:28] Speaker 4: in there prior, but seeing what he did out there
[43:31] Speaker 4: those two concerts, you know, his voice is way better
[43:34] Speaker 4: than you think. Absolutely, you never think of him like
[43:36] Speaker 4: a vocalist, but he's got that nice little it's like
[43:39] Speaker 4: he sings from the deep throat of mongol.
[43:42] Speaker 1: The way he walks on, he's got that sense of
[43:44] Speaker 1: menace and present.
[43:46] Speaker 4: Yeah, just a bad individual. This is seriously bad. Anybody
[43:49] Speaker 4: that wears a rain jacket Rayan Hale will shine. That's
[43:52] Speaker 4: a bad man. That's a man who's trying.
[43:53] Speaker 2: To speaking of bad man.
[43:55] Speaker 5: Mine is Michael Jackson during his time with Jackson five.
[43:58] Speaker 5: Oh that was a good one band technically.
[44:01] Speaker 6: And then though Cooper hasn't finished his silver and gold.
[44:03] Speaker 4: That just get into that mind.
[44:06] Speaker 2: It was just a good segue with bad Manack Thanks.
[44:11] Speaker 4: Sensibilities, except when he didn't turn the volume up at
[44:13] Speaker 4: the start. It is important to listen. Silver. Freddie Mercury,
[44:18] Speaker 4: the man with the big mouth. They said it, yeah,
[44:21] Speaker 4: but his mouth width or something. He had so much
[44:24] Speaker 4: range in his mouth that he could hit the big notes.
[44:27] Speaker 1: Interesting.
[44:28] Speaker 5: Uh.
[44:28] Speaker 4: And then my gold was actual rose from Guns n' Roses.
[44:32] Speaker 4: He had a bloody presence up there, didn't He.
[44:35] Speaker 1: Was hitting miss so on stage jack.
[44:39] Speaker 5: I've gone, yeah, my my bronze cover, I've gone with
[44:43] Speaker 5: Brian Johnson from a CDC. And then I've gone with
[44:47] Speaker 5: Freddy Mercury into my Man Jackson and his new bike
[44:51] Speaker 5: coming out next year if you didn't see.
[44:53] Speaker 4: It, Yeah, his nephew is playing Jafar Jackson.
[44:58] Speaker 1: The Trailers of Beauty.
[45:00] Speaker 2: It's good.
[45:01] Speaker 1: I've got. I've gone, I've gone a little. I've gone
[45:03] Speaker 1: Australian centric your life, So my my bronze.
[45:07] Speaker 6: I bet you I know one of them that you're
[45:09] Speaker 6: going to have. I'll bet you're so hard and it'll
[45:11] Speaker 6: be a female. Is there a female amongst?
[45:14] Speaker 1: And yeah, I know exactly how it's going to be
[45:15] Speaker 1: I've gone my bronze, I've gone Bond Scott, my bronze
[45:21] Speaker 1: the original, of course. My silver is Chrissy Amphlet from
[45:25] Speaker 1: the The Vinyls. I saw her played pub once. I've
[45:28] Speaker 1: never I've never seen I've really seen on the crowd
[45:34] Speaker 1: on the stage and just kicked it off. It was
[45:37] Speaker 1: she was unbelievable and are urinated. Yes, look that's given
[45:43] Speaker 1: over that form.
[45:44] Speaker 4: That's the only part we care about. No one cares
[45:45] Speaker 4: about how.
[45:46] Speaker 1: She's passed now and I don't know like that. She
[45:48] Speaker 1: was just she was amazing. And my gold is Liam Gallagher.
[45:53] Speaker 1: I just thought confirmed it the other night. The way
[45:55] Speaker 1: he walked on the stage and held one hundred thousand
[45:57] Speaker 1: people in the palm of his hand, I thought, and
[46:00] Speaker 1: I thought the sound in our oasis was remarkable, given
[46:03] Speaker 1: the fact it's pretty hard to get that kind of
[46:06] Speaker 1: sound in that vacuous stadium, but it was a lot
[46:09] Speaker 1: of people had a lot.
[46:10] Speaker 4: To say earlier in the week when we did like
[46:12] Speaker 4: our backstage episode, you said the same thing, that he's
[46:16] Speaker 4: the best front man that you've ever seen, and a
[46:18] Speaker 4: lot of people hammered you for it. A lot of people,
[46:21] Speaker 4: a lot of people of actually a lot of people
[46:24] Speaker 4: saying when Mattie said that Liam Gallagher was, I almost
[46:28] Speaker 4: crashed my car and turned it off.
[46:32] Speaker 1: I've never seen I've never seen David Bowie live. I've
[46:37] Speaker 1: never seen Freddie Mercury live. Like I've saw Mick Jag.
[46:40] Speaker 1: He's not like but also like, it's just your opinion,
[46:46] Speaker 1: and I think I think a lot of people that
[46:48] Speaker 1: went to that concert the other night will conquer.
[46:50] Speaker 4: There's some people that might not like it's just an opinion.
[46:53] Speaker 4: Everyone's got an opinion. Everyone just relaxed, don't crash your car,
[46:56] Speaker 4: don't turn us off.
[46:58] Speaker 6: Okay, I've made a little girl based on family feud
[47:03] Speaker 6: called Family Blued. I surveyed myself and I came up
[47:07] Speaker 6: with my top three answers.
[47:10] Speaker 4: So barely a big enough sample size.
[47:12] Speaker 6: I know, I know, but you know what, there's only
[47:14] Speaker 6: a few. Let's see how we go. Okay, just call
[47:17] Speaker 6: him your name? What do you call the game interest
[47:19] Speaker 6: family Blued?
[47:21] Speaker 4: That's actually not bad?
[47:22] Speaker 6: Thanks, Okay, just call it your name and I've got
[47:25] Speaker 6: top three answers, so you still have a choice after
[47:28] Speaker 6: it name something you shouldn't share.
[47:30] Speaker 4: Cooper, Something that you would say, I would say you're
[47:35] Speaker 4: a bit of a clean free I would say.
[47:36] Speaker 6: Toothbrush ding ding ding ding. That's the top answer. Okay,
[47:39] Speaker 6: you can go for a clean sweep.
[47:41] Speaker 4: Or do I I can play?
[47:43] Speaker 6: No, No, you can just play.
[47:44] Speaker 2: So I have to play.
[47:45] Speaker 4: Okay, a towel? Do I keep going?
[47:49] Speaker 6: Yeah, you just get to but bols.
[47:51] Speaker 4: Okay, so easy dad.
[47:54] Speaker 6: Actually, yeah, you're right, it'll go to okay one of you.
[47:57] Speaker 2: Other I'll go with.
[48:03] Speaker 1: Water bottle. That's going to be floss. Okay, blood the other.
[48:11] Speaker 6: Two answers toothbrush received fifty percent of our boots. Vibrator received.
[48:18] Speaker 1: Do you mean we shouldn't share it?
[48:20] Speaker 6: Shoes received?
[48:23] Speaker 4: Hang on shoes above.
[48:24] Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't think you should shoes.
[48:26] Speaker 1: This is the simple size confession color weeks ago, well,
[48:30] Speaker 1: Piratrician shoes.
[48:32] Speaker 6: There's another confession that because FYI we take the same
[48:35] Speaker 6: shoe size, we actually do.
[48:37] Speaker 4: And another confession you should make if everyone takes their
[48:40] Speaker 4: eyes down to that shoes. Right now, he's wearing shoes
[48:42] Speaker 4: that have no laces in it because that was.
[48:43] Speaker 6: The ones that he took the lasers out for the Halloween.
[48:46] Speaker 1: It's very run.
[48:49] Speaker 4: He said.
[48:49] Speaker 1: He you know, it was mad.
[48:50] Speaker 4: He was going to throw He said, oh, I won't
[48:52] Speaker 4: ever wear these shoes again, so he was going to
[48:53] Speaker 4: throw them out. That's why he took the laces out
[48:55] Speaker 4: of that one. He took him out, hung them in
[48:57] Speaker 4: the tree for the Halloween. And then he looked down
[48:59] Speaker 4: at his shoes and goes, these actually look pretty cool
[49:01] Speaker 4: now that they don't have the lasism.
[49:04] Speaker 1: Actually, yeah, they do slippers.
[49:06] Speaker 6: Next one, name a place it's inappropriate to hit on someone, Jack, yep, bathroom, yeap, funeral, Yes, okay,
[49:17] Speaker 6: you get another option?
[49:19] Speaker 4: Where else?
[49:19] Speaker 1: The doctor's office, public toilet.
[49:24] Speaker 2: I just said toilet.
[49:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, no, you said bathroom difference.
[49:30] Speaker 4: That was never going to be that. She would have
[49:32] Speaker 4: given him that.
[49:33] Speaker 1: You got to use your head man, okay, parent teacher interview.
[49:37] Speaker 6: Well, yes, that would have been a better one. So
[49:40] Speaker 6: top hands Cooper got funeral fifty. School was thirty percent,
[49:45] Speaker 6: and brothel was twenty percent.
[49:47] Speaker 1: Oh sorry, not get the prostitute.
[49:50] Speaker 4: Okay, the people too.
[49:53] Speaker 6: Top answers of the worst things to put in the
[49:55] Speaker 6: wrong places. Yep, oh I think that was Jack.
[49:59] Speaker 2: So two things about.
[50:01] Speaker 6: Name the worst thing to put in the wrong place,
[50:05] Speaker 6: something that you use.
[50:07] Speaker 4: A a.
[50:11] Speaker 2: Toothbrush?
[50:12] Speaker 1: Again, I would say again, vibrator in the wrong place,
[50:18] Speaker 1: your mouth, I.
[50:20] Speaker 6: Said, bump, bump, something to put in the wrong place.
[50:24] Speaker 2: A very.
[50:26] Speaker 6: Top answers of the worst things to put in the
[50:29] Speaker 6: wrong place.
[50:31] Speaker 4: I would probably say, like, I'm thinking very differently to you.
[50:36] Speaker 4: I was thinking something like along the landes of electricity,
[50:39] Speaker 4: like a toaster.
[50:42] Speaker 6: The top answer was a tampon, second answer is ice block,
[50:47] Speaker 6: and the third answer was your car, putting your car
[50:49] Speaker 6: in the wrong place. Okay, our last block, So where
[50:53] Speaker 6: would you put the we're supposed to put in your mouth? Right?
[50:55] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[50:55] Speaker 6: Sure, well if you put an ice block somewhere else
[50:57] Speaker 6: and that wouldn't be appropriate.
[50:58] Speaker 2: Okay, that was That was a horrendous that.
[51:02] Speaker 6: You just don't understand. Okay, this is the last one.
[51:05] Speaker 4: We surveyed three people and they that was a ship.
[51:08] Speaker 6: You didn't survey me. Worst things to confuse, that is
[51:12] Speaker 6: using the wrong thing for the wrong thing.
[51:16] Speaker 2: How can you make these any harder?
[51:18] Speaker 4: You were these are so not specific. This you were
[51:21] Speaker 4: making this so vague and very sexist.
[51:24] Speaker 1: Using a rolling pill a dilda.
[51:27] Speaker 6: It's a very good answer, but no incorrect.
[51:29] Speaker 4: Oh damn it, I'm I don't even want to answer it.
[51:31] Speaker 3: Okay, Jack do you say it again? I don't even
[51:33] Speaker 3: understand what is the worst.
[51:34] Speaker 6: Thing to confuse, to use in the wrong context.
[51:38] Speaker 3: If you like, oh my god, first thing, let me
[51:43] Speaker 3: let me go on a toilet brush.
[51:47] Speaker 6: That's a good one. What would you confuse that was
[51:50] Speaker 6: a tooth brush? That's very good. But unfortunately that's not
[51:54] Speaker 6: one of our answers today. The top answer was using
[51:57] Speaker 6: eyeliner for your lip liner. I have done it.
[52:00] Speaker 2: What the hell were you expecting for a second year?
[52:03] Speaker 6: The second one is to use your nose spray for
[52:06] Speaker 6: eye drops. Also done it.
[52:07] Speaker 1: God, I was going to say that.
[52:08] Speaker 6: And the last one is using chili sauce instead of
[52:12] Speaker 6: tomato sauce. Also done it.
[52:14] Speaker 4: Larry Emda would never do that. He would never have
[52:16] Speaker 4: such a vague question with such specific.
[52:19] Speaker 5: You know what.
[52:19] Speaker 2: He's looking down you right now, but and he's just shaking.
[52:22] Speaker 6: His head instat It was really good. And I think
[52:25] Speaker 6: people at home would have.
[52:27] Speaker 3: Probably sample size of one right here.
[52:30] Speaker 2: I know they don't and they don't appreciate.
[52:32] Speaker 1: In the early twenties, I stayed at in mules Place
[52:35] Speaker 1: one night at his family home. I got up at
[52:37] Speaker 1: about three am worse yet, but we'd had a big night.
[52:40] Speaker 1: I went just I've got to clean my teeth. Went
[52:43] Speaker 1: found a toothbrush in there, God knows. And then when
[52:47] Speaker 1: being the tooth, I'm brushing my toothguarn this toothpaste. The
[52:52] Speaker 1: next war and we're shaving.
[52:54] Speaker 6: Yeah, oh tell me, let me tell you. The nose
[52:58] Speaker 6: drops in the eye, all very painful.
[53:00] Speaker 1: Bernie, Bernie, Right, Okay, what's I think we've done. Let's
[53:04] Speaker 1: let's rap it. It's really good Jackson, big up, kind
[53:07] Speaker 1: of up and coming episodes coming up. We've got Gas
[53:10] Speaker 1: and Gale episode coming up soon. It's on Monday, Monday.
[53:13] Speaker 4: And then we got followed by Nicholas Hines, the Human,
[53:16] Speaker 4: the heath ledger Man, one of the greatest looking blokes
[53:20] Speaker 4: and one of our our great friends.
[53:21] Speaker 6: And the laughter coming out of the studio when you
[53:25] Speaker 6: were recording, I haven't listened to n Nico has I
[53:29] Speaker 6: didn't know Nico was that Bunny was being very.
[53:33] Speaker 4: Nicko wasn't don't be ridiculous. Nico is not funny. No,
[53:37] Speaker 4: Nico has one of the like and you'll know this
[53:39] Speaker 4: when you listen, And always said it to him. There's
[53:41] Speaker 4: one thing he hates. He hates his own laugh because he's.
[53:43] Speaker 1: Laugh Is that ugly.
[53:48] Speaker 6: Awful thing to say?
[53:49] Speaker 4: Well, right, obucker, no, no, but he does. He has
[53:52] Speaker 4: he's always had like just such a piercing laugh and
[53:55] Speaker 4: he can't control it.
[53:56] Speaker 1: And Jack just to finish it. I think we we
[53:58] Speaker 1: didn't need to do another teas Cooper John's is very
[54:02] Speaker 1: difficult to rattle. But there's a subject that comes up
[54:04] Speaker 1: between he and Nicker. I can genuinely say, I've never
[54:08] Speaker 1: seen Hooper so rattled.
[54:09] Speaker 5: Yeah, you can tell because he goes quite for about
[54:12] Speaker 5: five minutes and made he's looking away.
[54:14] Speaker 1: He can't even look at nick.
[54:16] Speaker 4: Because whenever we get on the piss with like our
[54:18] Speaker 4: like a close crew, we always go around and say
[54:21] Speaker 4: what we like, like our best memory with each other.
[54:23] Speaker 4: Nicka always brings it up and have annoys me because
[54:26] Speaker 4: it's such a low point in me, in me as
[54:29] Speaker 4: a as a person, because it was just it was
[54:31] Speaker 4: just such a competitive bastard. Anyway, it's very.
[54:35] Speaker 6: Well, thanks everyone, good, have a great weekend. Great right,
