[4:20] Speaker 4: a gang of people up from Sydney and then we
[4:23] Speaker 4: just used to just rock it there and then go
[4:25] Speaker 4: to the Bennett after and just tearing it just. It
[4:29] Speaker 4: was just the wild wild West. And I used to
[4:31] Speaker 4: see Maddie and that because these guys were a bit
[4:32] Speaker 4: older than me. So so you know, like Joey's hair
[4:36] Speaker 4: and all the Nights boys right, because I'm a Newcastle
[4:38] Speaker 4: boys so and for these guys always been my the
[4:41] Speaker 4: oldest sort of blokes and we.
[4:42] Speaker 3: Just used to fuck it just. It was so fun.
[4:45] Speaker 3: It was so fun. I go right into it, but
[4:48] Speaker 3: you could paint a picture.
[4:50] Speaker 1: I think about Willie all the time. I heard a
[4:52] Speaker 1: song on the radio the other day I turned on.
[4:53] Speaker 1: It was an old song. It was a band called
[4:56] Speaker 1: Planet funk Se the New York.
[5:03] Speaker 3: UK. I remember around one night in Brisbane that was
[5:06] Speaker 3: just pumping.
[5:08] Speaker 1: I kept going on DJ, just play it again. He said,
[5:11] Speaker 1: I've played a fucking five.
[5:12] Speaker 3: Just keep playing it mate.
[5:15] Speaker 2: Is there any did they help with footy back in
[5:17] Speaker 2: the day so much?
[5:17] Speaker 4: That always smart yea yeah, and Joey taught me a
[5:20] Speaker 4: hell of a lot. So Maddie would always be just

[6:16] Speaker 1: time of the nights. We had blokes they're like coaching

[6:28] Speaker 4: like because of you, guys used to run it all.
[6:30] Speaker 4: But yeah, just the the way they used to talk.
[6:34] Speaker 4: Get to this guy, just run this line, stay on
[6:36] Speaker 4: the outside of him, and break when I break. And like,
[6:38] Speaker 4: Joey is, did you play with joe Origin Yeah, yeah,
[6:42] Speaker 4: my first test with Joey in two and I'll ship
[6:46] Speaker 4: myself right, I'm twenty one years old and Joey he's
[6:48] Speaker 4: fucking captain, you know, he's F's Andrew John's and he
[6:52] Speaker 4: he was.
[6:53] Speaker 3: He was one of those blokes.
[6:54] Speaker 4: He obviously knowing well you do matter, he goes fucking
[6:57] Speaker 4: hard off the field, right, But I didn't know the difference,
[7:01] Speaker 4: like when you get on the training field.
[7:03] Speaker 3: How intense that little fuck was.
[7:05] Speaker 4: Yea. So we had a great night the night before,
[7:08] Speaker 4: bonding night, and then the day the next day, just
[7:11] Speaker 4: a little bit of lateral hands and I dropped the
[7:13] Speaker 4: ball and he give me the biggest fucking roasting I
[7:17] Speaker 4: ever had. Mate, You fucking big, useless, fucking piece of shit,
[7:22] Speaker 4: fucking a bit more.
[7:23] Speaker 3: You know, it's twenty twenty six now.
[7:25] Speaker 4: Even in a light session like yeah, he goes, you
[7:27] Speaker 4: want to fucking go and get on the piece, you
[7:28] Speaker 4: gotta fuck Yeah. He taught me a lot like that,
[7:31] Speaker 4: And since then I just say, there's any like bonding
[7:33] Speaker 4: nights or reading or do anything with the Bulldogs or
[7:36] Speaker 4: whatever team, make sure that you're the best fucking trainer
[7:39] Speaker 4: and player and everything, because you'd just be. It was
[7:42] Speaker 4: like fucking jackal and hide. I was like, fuck did
[7:45] Speaker 4: this come from? But it taught me a massive lesson.
[7:48] Speaker 4: Don't get on your game. Don't you dare think you
[7:50] Speaker 4: can do this and you can't do that. It's lateral hands,

[7:56] Speaker 1: When he got brought in for that game to yeah five,

[8:01] Speaker 1: around camp the first you know, the first doing our training.
[8:04] Speaker 1: In the first game we got beat, you know, just
[8:07] Speaker 1: and we turned up for the second game. We're just
[8:09] Speaker 1: going about our training. Bas pulled out with a quad
[8:12] Speaker 1: or I think Ricky went, hey, you're Olympic. A little
[8:14] Speaker 1: bit of quad he said, We go out to do
[8:20] Speaker 1: a training session and all of a sudden, he said,
[8:22] Speaker 1: we're training the same way. But he said, blokes are
[8:24] Speaker 1: just one step late. And he said, mate. It was terrifying.
[8:27] Speaker 1: He said, Joey was fucking screening.
[8:29] Speaker 4: Really yeah, no, The intensity levels were crazy, and that
[8:33] Speaker 4: sort of made me a better player because he teaches
[8:35] Speaker 4: me the lines to run.
[8:38] Speaker 3: At a club level.
[8:39] Speaker 4: So I'd go back until Shifty right to get like
[8:42] Speaker 4: bounce out to like the sea guy, and I'll be
[8:44] Speaker 4: inside the fore man all those little things and like
[8:47] Speaker 4: which Shifty was a gun anyway back there.
[8:49] Speaker 3: But Joey was no one who was getting Joey's spot.
[8:51] Speaker 3: But he just teached little things.
[8:52] Speaker 4: He goes, this is what defenses are doing when I'm
[8:56] Speaker 4: doing this, you know what I mean? So like think
[8:57] Speaker 4: of it like as an attacker and a defender, like

[13:38] Speaker 4: mate next minute from next minute, I'm from trying to
[13:40] Speaker 4: And I'm living in Belmore, in Belmore with four other
[13:43] Speaker 4: blokes in the country and we all just fucking hung around.

[14:07] Speaker 4: go down to February and Newcastle was more skill based.

[14:13] Speaker 4: ear March. You're twelve years old, you went to these
[14:15] Speaker 4: summer camps. Everyone's passing fucking like half backs as front
[14:19] Speaker 4: rollers and like like everyone just had a really high
[14:21] Speaker 4: skill set.
[14:22] Speaker 3: Fitness wasn't the massive priority. It was skills. I was like,
[14:26] Speaker 3: So I went down to fucking Bulldogs.
[14:29] Speaker 4: Our first session was like four fifties four one hundreds,
[14:32] Speaker 4: four one fifties four two hundred four to two fifties four,
[14:35] Speaker 4: three hundreds four three fifties four, four hundreds.
[14:38] Speaker 3: I don't even run fucking more than one hundred and
[14:39] Speaker 3: fifty minutes.
[14:40] Speaker 4: And then and then back and me, Ryan o'hier and
