[0:00] Speaker 1: And listen just to try to save face a little bit,
[0:02] Speaker 1: probably live my score. I have no problem. I have
[0:05] Speaker 1: no problem if you've put my melt down into yeah,
[0:11] Speaker 1: I have no problem where I've gone. Hey, hey, everyone
[0:14] Speaker 1: just shut up for a second.
[0:16] Speaker 2: That's don't poke the bear.
[0:19] Speaker 3: Dad goes, Okay, I'm sick of talking to this house
[0:21] Speaker 3: and everyone interrupts me. I have had a big, a
[0:25] Speaker 3: big year. I am created without I'm sitting here. I'm tired.
[0:29] Speaker 3: I mean, I'm in a bad mood. But look i'm here.
[0:32] Speaker 2: Oh there's some smell. Yeah, well there's nothing we're gonna
[0:36] Speaker 2: be able to do.
[0:41] Speaker 3: Yeah a little bit. I'm just like, I just feel
[0:43] Speaker 3: like i'm talking and then I'm looking everyone get your tie.
[0:48] Speaker 1: Let me just make a point, let me finish. Is
[0:51] Speaker 1: it at the moment, I'm working every single day and
[0:54] Speaker 1: it's working on the same stuff all the time. Not
[0:58] Speaker 1: to do with this podcast, but it's just the football thing.
[1:00] Speaker 1: I've completely hit the wall. That that's what it is
[1:03] Speaker 1: with me, and today I'm particularly tired, so that that
[1:05] Speaker 1: that is that is my problem. I can't beat all
[1:08] Speaker 1: the time.
[1:09] Speaker 3: It's fine, Well, then someone else needs to pick.
[1:11] Speaker 1: Up the slack of the dad, Well, do we start again?
[1:14] Speaker 3: No, no, no, I think there's been some actually pretty
[1:16] Speaker 3: good stuff. Don't you just go straight to your story
[1:18] Speaker 3: because I'm pretty sure I said, you guys talk while.
[1:20] Speaker 2: Okay, So I had my niece's hands on the weekend
[1:27] Speaker 2: dad's Oh no, shit, looks nice mat with your matches
[1:33] Speaker 2: the chair.
[1:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, you look good?
[1:35] Speaker 1: Yeah, good, great, very good.
[1:37] Speaker 3: How do you feel? You're good?
[1:39] Speaker 1: Tired, very extremely tired. I hit the wall. Oh yeah,
[1:44] Speaker 1: hit the wall creatively.
[1:45] Speaker 3: You got nothing left, like you don't have any good.
[1:47] Speaker 1: Ideas left, no ideas.
[1:48] Speaker 4: I can tell that because I'm just having a look
[1:49] Speaker 4: at the rundown and it looks shit. It looks very
[1:54] Speaker 4: very shit and something because trist did it. Because you
[1:57] Speaker 4: know you you haven't put your head on your creative.
[1:59] Speaker 1: Of too much to do.
[2:01] Speaker 3: What have you been doing?
[2:02] Speaker 1: I've been writing articles plenty things.
[2:07] Speaker 3: This is what other stuff?
[2:10] Speaker 1: Work stuff, brother, yeah, just work stuff.
[2:12] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[2:13] Speaker 1: And I'm just tired. Please don't provoke me.
[2:17] Speaker 3: I'm just we're on a potty. I was just going
[2:18] Speaker 3: to talk to you about it.
[2:19] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[2:20] Speaker 2: We just want to bring you out of your slumpunk.
[2:23] Speaker 3: Do you want us to not ask you any questions?
[2:25] Speaker 3: For the remainder of the party.
[2:26] Speaker 1: I'll react off you guys.
[2:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, have you done any preparation today?
[2:37] Speaker 3: That's some of your best stuff. I'm going to write
[2:40] Speaker 3: that down. That is hilarious about you. What is that
[2:43] Speaker 3: what everyone else's been doing?
[2:44] Speaker 5: Jack?
[2:45] Speaker 3: Jack's off camera today, He's sorry, sorry, let me just
[2:49] Speaker 3: go back. Jack set up a new producer camp so
[2:52] Speaker 3: he can actually when he doesn't want to sit in
[2:54] Speaker 3: the trust circle with the family, he can sit behind
[2:57] Speaker 3: life cut and you can still see him.
[2:58] Speaker 5: It sounds like a pretty good decision today.
[3:01] Speaker 3: Yeah, because you usually sit next to daddy, and when
[3:04] Speaker 3: Daddy gets mad, Daddy's not mad.
[3:07] Speaker 5: Daddy's just.
[3:07] Speaker 1: Daddy's just I've been sleeping. I've been asleep out the
[3:10] Speaker 1: front and man, I am I am tired.
[3:15] Speaker 2: I'm tuck it out after this. I'm going to give
[3:17] Speaker 2: you a little head message and I'm fine.
[3:19] Speaker 1: I've got articles to write stuff.
[3:22] Speaker 2: Sometimes you need some downtime to be.
[3:25] Speaker 1: I haven't got time for downtime. You've got to record
[3:27] Speaker 1: this afternoon.
[3:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, I had a ship sleep last night as.
[3:30] Speaker 2: Well, actually literally ship sleep. You're funny.
[3:36] Speaker 3: Yeah right now, Nelly, Yeah, I don't care because I've
[3:42] Speaker 3: got a band aid on my face because I just okay,
[3:45] Speaker 3: let me go back a step, because I had to
[3:47] Speaker 3: have three stories I was about to jump into. I
[3:49] Speaker 3: was shaving my face just before littlest clip. Didn't even
[3:53] Speaker 3: feel it pissing blood. I don't reckon. I've had that
[3:56] Speaker 3: much blood on my face since some times. Let me
[4:01] Speaker 3: just run through a few of them. No, no, And
[4:03] Speaker 3: it was literally in the shower, it was all in
[4:06] Speaker 3: my mouth, was everywhere, it fell back in my footy days.
[4:09] Speaker 3: It actually it actually felt nice like that was a
[4:12] Speaker 3: period there. I looked itself in the mirror and I
[4:13] Speaker 3: was about to take a picture because I was like,
[4:15] Speaker 3: that looks tough.
[4:16] Speaker 2: You've actually taken quite a chunk of skin off.
[4:18] Speaker 3: It's amazing how such a little, such a little like
[4:22] Speaker 3: prick of the razor can just piss so much hot
[4:26] Speaker 3: water in hot water the shower, I was, but before that,
[4:30] Speaker 3: I wasn't. And it was literally like piscing, like it
[4:33] Speaker 3: was all over me, was going down my chest.
[4:34] Speaker 1: Are you're gonna be okay? Are you going to Are
[4:36] Speaker 1: we going to survive it?
[4:37] Speaker 2: I really didn't want to put a band aid on
[4:38] Speaker 2: his face, because when you put a band aid on
[4:40] Speaker 2: your face. The adhesive usually you take your skin is.
[4:44] Speaker 5: Your little preck.
[4:45] Speaker 3: Okah, yes, what a weird thing to say to his brother.
[4:51] Speaker 3: But yeah, like you said, I do look like Nelly
[4:53] Speaker 3: because Nelly wore the band aid on his face.
[4:55] Speaker 2: I did it.
[4:55] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[4:56] Speaker 2: Do you know what was under his band aid?
[4:57] Speaker 1: Nick?
[4:58] Speaker 2: I think it was shaving, yeah, really sure for a
[5:00] Speaker 2: bad tattoo.
[5:01] Speaker 1: No, it was the image, I think, Yeah, I think
[5:03] Speaker 1: it was just to look cool.
[5:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, because Nellie was also if you don't know Nellie's music,
[5:07] Speaker 3: he was also the running back in the Longest Yard
[5:10] Speaker 3: who was too That's right, he was very Do you
[5:13] Speaker 3: have the thing in that he had? Yeah, like the
[5:16] Speaker 3: band aid in that movie as well. It's actually a
[5:18] Speaker 3: really good talent.
[5:19] Speaker 5: You called it. You almost call it like a trademark cover.
[5:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, i'd say so. Everyone needs a trademark an image.
[5:25] Speaker 5: Yeah, but what someone's trademark really isn't working for them today? Though?
[5:29] Speaker 5: Is a lovely smile and the glowing personality.
[5:33] Speaker 2: Do you know what? I just saw a little twinkle
[5:34] Speaker 2: in his eyes though. I think he's coming back. That's
[5:36] Speaker 2: not annoying annoying, it's.
[5:38] Speaker 1: Provocation taking place here. I can feel it.
[5:40] Speaker 3: What does that mean provocation.
[5:42] Speaker 1: Provokings, provoking somebody.
[5:44] Speaker 2: No one's provoking, We're just speaking.
[5:49] Speaker 1: Is there any sort of caffeine drink anyway?
[5:51] Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got my caffeine protein drinks. There's also a toothbrush.
[6:01] Speaker 3: Out of the back. Coke Zira cake zero. You want
[6:03] Speaker 3: to coke?
[6:04] Speaker 1: Just hold it. I'm going to get it. Yeah, continue, Yeah,
[6:06] Speaker 1: you go and get it.
[6:08] Speaker 3: We won't say anything about you.
[6:10] Speaker 2: We won't ship talking mate.
[6:11] Speaker 3: But I'll save that that story that I've got for
[6:13] Speaker 3: when you get back here. In the back fridge in
[6:18] Speaker 3: the back, Nora.
[6:22] Speaker 5: Ras Man's doing some pressure cleaning today.
[6:25] Speaker 3: How do you do it?
[6:25] Speaker 2: Tell you seriously, I tell you, boys, I have protected
[6:29] Speaker 2: you all these years of what a moody little bass
[6:32] Speaker 2: did he can be.
[6:33] Speaker 3: People don't see it, but he is so moody sometimes
[6:37] Speaker 3: this time of the year and I get like it's
[6:40] Speaker 3: been a long year.
[6:41] Speaker 1: But seriously, I mean, is.
[6:44] Speaker 3: His life that hard? Jo Jack last call? Is his
[6:48] Speaker 3: life that hard?
[6:49] Speaker 5: Just let him go. We let him go, and we
[6:52] Speaker 5: let him cook. And you know what, we have our
[6:55] Speaker 5: moody days. He has probably the he's probably the rarest
[6:58] Speaker 5: of the moodiest of all of us.
[6:59] Speaker 3: Do you reckon, I would you agree, I don't. I
[7:01] Speaker 3: don't think so. Of the last two months he's had jack.
[7:04] Speaker 3: You were. You were leading the count early, like you
[7:07] Speaker 3: come out to a flying start. If it was like
[7:09] Speaker 3: the Dallian count. You had gotten three points in every
[7:11] Speaker 3: game at the start of the year. It was tough
[7:15] Speaker 3: in your first six months you were leading by country mile.
[7:18] Speaker 3: But then when the votes went behind closed doors, you
[7:22] Speaker 3: really come into your own and Dad, he's come from
[7:25] Speaker 3: nowhere like Kaylen pong Aerre in twenty twenty three. I
[7:28] Speaker 3: think he may have taken the dalle.
[7:29] Speaker 2: Great great analogy.
[7:31] Speaker 5: Yeah, that was everybody.
[7:33] Speaker 3: Everybody knows my analogies are sick. That's what everyone says.
[7:35] Speaker 2: Yeah, your analogies are sick.
[7:37] Speaker 1: I thought you couldn't get any worse.
[7:39] Speaker 2: What happened.
[7:40] Speaker 1: I walked in the garage and Rasmans in their off
[7:44] Speaker 1: thought that he was there.
[7:45] Speaker 5: I told I told the orders it was pressure cleaning
[7:47] Speaker 5: comb that was code.
[7:48] Speaker 2: Well, I guess clean.
[7:50] Speaker 3: I will tell you it's not the first time Rasmun
[7:52] Speaker 3: has been caught doing that. I'm not going to I can't.
[7:56] Speaker 3: I can't see the video. Yeah, you really need to
[7:59] Speaker 3: say that was a video, so I'll cut it up
[8:00] Speaker 3: on the YouTube. So back to my night last night.
[8:03] Speaker 3: So what happened was, so I had a late nap.
[8:07] Speaker 3: I was always told never nap past four pm because
[8:10] Speaker 3: once you nap past four pm, you can't sleep, like
[8:13] Speaker 3: you're too wide late at night. And I slept. I
[8:17] Speaker 3: had my last four pm and in my tide state,
[8:20] Speaker 3: I must have just snoozed it and I've got and
[8:21] Speaker 3: I woke up at five point thirty, like around dinner time,
[8:24] Speaker 3: and I was just like, oh no, this is gonna
[8:25] Speaker 3: be tough going back to sleep. So I thought, what
[8:28] Speaker 3: am I gonna need? I'm gonna need a sleeping tablet.
[8:30] Speaker 3: So I reached into my little goodie draw and it's
[8:32] Speaker 3: like a lucky dip in there, like I don't know
[8:34] Speaker 3: what am I going to grab, but it looked very.
[8:36] Speaker 2: Similar, very irresponsible.
[8:37] Speaker 3: I'm very similar to my sleeping tablet pill. Anyway, I've
[8:40] Speaker 3: taken it at midnight. I've literally woken up and I'm
[8:43] Speaker 3: like in a ball, in so much pain in my stomach,
[8:46] Speaker 3: and I was literally about to go to hospital because
[8:48] Speaker 3: I was like, something's going I wrapped it in my stomach. Hospital,
[8:51] Speaker 3: No I didn't. But it turns out I'd had a laxative,
[8:54] Speaker 3: So did you?
[8:55] Speaker 2: Why did you have a laxitive in there?
[8:56] Speaker 3: I don't know. There are so many little like.
[8:59] Speaker 5: Some started now there's something going on in here.
[9:02] Speaker 2: There is a smell like and I'm not happy with it.
[9:06] Speaker 1: You bottom of shoes.
[9:08] Speaker 2: No, we don't have a dog anymore, so there's no
[9:09] Speaker 2: pooked under the shoes.
[9:11] Speaker 3: As if you couldn't bring dad down any further. But
[9:14] Speaker 3: I yeah, I ended up falling like I did a
[9:17] Speaker 3: couple of poofs. But then I was just laying asleep
[9:19] Speaker 3: on my tiles, on my bed, on my bathroom. It
[9:22] Speaker 3: was a cold night, and then I just fell asleep.
[9:24] Speaker 3: Lucky I woke up for radio this morning because my
[9:26] Speaker 3: alarm wasn't in the bathroom and I've just woken up
[9:29] Speaker 3: muscle memory wise, you know why.
[9:31] Speaker 1: I found coops that Actually, after the first couple of
[9:34] Speaker 1: years I was to be able to sleep back from
[9:36] Speaker 1: bricking radio, I to sleep pretty good couple of hours.
[9:39] Speaker 1: My last three or four years I couldn't sleep. It
[9:42] Speaker 1: was like yours, you know, like you just feel constantly
[9:45] Speaker 1: jet lagged, and I just couldn't. I was too wired.
[9:47] Speaker 1: I couldn't sleep.
[9:48] Speaker 3: Why way too wide. Do you drink a lot of
[9:51] Speaker 3: coff Did you drink a lot of coffee when you
[9:52] Speaker 3: were doing that?
[9:53] Speaker 1: Yes?
[9:53] Speaker 3: How many you reckon in the morning, you'd pump.
[9:56] Speaker 1: Probably, I'd have one on the way to work. One
[9:58] Speaker 1: one a good in probably every hour?
[10:00] Speaker 3: You have one every hour? See, I only have one.
[10:03] Speaker 3: I have one at six am, and then that lasts
[10:05] Speaker 3: me the whole time, does it?
[10:07] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[10:07] Speaker 2: See, I don't. I don't agree with your thinking that
[10:09] Speaker 2: sleeping past four o'clock would disturb your sleep. I think
[10:13] Speaker 2: it's more about I am a sleep doctor. I do
[10:15] Speaker 2: love sleep, sleeps my being. It's more about the amount
[10:21] Speaker 2: of napping, the time that you nap.
[10:24] Speaker 3: Yeah, because they really wake up. They reckon no more
[10:26] Speaker 3: than forty minutes, that's right.
[10:27] Speaker 2: I just had optimal.
[10:28] Speaker 3: I just had a two and a half hour on
[10:30] Speaker 3: and I feel pretty nice. But for that first hour
[10:33] Speaker 3: after you wake up from a nap, you feel Oh
[10:36] Speaker 3: how bad do you feel when you have a long
[10:38] Speaker 3: nap and you wake up. It's like you've been like
[10:40] Speaker 3: asleep for sixteen years and you wake up and you
[10:43] Speaker 3: feel that shit.
[10:44] Speaker 1: What about now? And then I was sitting there on
[10:46] Speaker 1: the out front reading Rick Astley book never going to.
[10:49] Speaker 3: Give what's in that what's in that book? That isn't
[10:55] Speaker 3: that interesting a story? It's great, it's a great story. Yeah,
[10:58] Speaker 3: it's a great story. You know what he was doing,
[11:00] Speaker 3: Rick Astley, stock stock Apeman Waterman. You know that they're
[11:04] Speaker 3: the ones.
[11:07] Speaker 1: Mate, all the all those great sogs coming out of
[11:09] Speaker 1: England during that era is the salt and Pepper was there.
[11:12] Speaker 1: Sta Telie.
[11:17] Speaker 2: Respectable, but that's not Pepper.
[11:19] Speaker 1: Yeah, anyway, anyway he was. They sort of found him
[11:24] Speaker 1: a little bit and when I'll come there, we'll give
[11:25] Speaker 1: you a job. He's to just make the coffee in there.
[11:28] Speaker 1: And then one day he was singing and one of
[11:31] Speaker 1: the guys just went this bloke, o coffee kid, he
[11:34] Speaker 1: can sing, and away he went from there.
[11:36] Speaker 3: Isn't it funny? I feel like a lot of people
[11:39] Speaker 3: in high places now start at the at the very
[11:42] Speaker 3: much start as the coffee guy, or as just doing
[11:46] Speaker 3: the like the cleaning guys. Like the coffee guy.
[11:49] Speaker 2: They'll get into that industry just to get in McDonald's.
[11:53] Speaker 1: That's their model. McDonald's. Often they'll get a person who
[11:58] Speaker 1: will start flipping the burgers. Work and those people oftentimes work,
[12:02] Speaker 1: and so its right up to being the boss of Australia.
[12:05] Speaker 1: They know every part of the business.
[12:06] Speaker 3: It's a great message for the kids.
[12:08] Speaker 2: It is. Do we fyo?
[12:10] Speaker 1: Melon Kim, Melon Kim. That's right, melon kim.
[12:13] Speaker 5: Hey, guys, just talk about weekend that just went past.
[12:17] Speaker 5: Is that possible?
[12:18] Speaker 3: Yeah, you can do. We want to do the intro
[12:20] Speaker 3: question before.
[12:21] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, all right, even though.
[12:25] Speaker 3: Everyone's been introduced, as I introduced you, if you could
[12:27] Speaker 3: change one thing from history, which would it be? And why?
[12:30] Speaker 3: And look, there's been a lot of horrible things in
[12:32] Speaker 3: this wild happen, so I hope we do some good here.
[12:35] Speaker 3: But if you want to have a laugh with it,
[12:36] Speaker 3: feel free to have a laugh.
[12:37] Speaker 2: True, Well, I'm not. I was just getting rid of Hitler.
[12:41] Speaker 2: What I was just getting rid of Adam Hitler?
[12:43] Speaker 1: Hitler?
[12:44] Speaker 3: But then the butterfly fact.
[12:45] Speaker 2: I know, this is the thing, like do you get
[12:47] Speaker 2: someone worse? I don't know.
[12:50] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I mean.
[12:50] Speaker 1: It's going to be ourd You're going to be stretching
[12:52] Speaker 1: to find someone worse than him.
[12:55] Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that's pretty He's pretty bad bloke. But okay,
[13:00] Speaker 3: my historic moment.
[13:01] Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, did I go a bad way?
[13:04] Speaker 5: Yeah?
[13:05] Speaker 3: You definitely did. And you're the one that came up
[13:06] Speaker 3: with the question. Is you know when I looked at
[13:08] Speaker 3: the rundown and I saw that question on, I thought,
[13:11] Speaker 3: she's giving us nowhere to go here, because if I
[13:13] Speaker 3: come in with a funny answer, everyone all the listeners go, oh,
[13:16] Speaker 3: you could have abolished this, you could have stopped that,
[13:19] Speaker 3: and then you leave and now we have to go
[13:20] Speaker 3: down a heavy route. So going forward, think of just
[13:23] Speaker 3: more fun loving intro Jesus Christ.
[13:27] Speaker 2: I feel free to offer him up anyway.
[13:29] Speaker 3: I killed Gary John's I took away slavery. Slavery. I
[13:35] Speaker 3: thought that was a good one because I often think
[13:38] Speaker 3: now and I think in a hundred years time when
[13:40] Speaker 3: we look back at slavery times now we go, how
[13:42] Speaker 3: possibly could they have thought that about another race being inferior? Now?
[13:48] Speaker 3: I look at our society now in one hundred years,
[13:50] Speaker 3: are they going to look back at us now? And
[13:52] Speaker 3: what will we be doing that? They go, that was
[13:54] Speaker 3: so barbarry. Yeah, yeah, exactly, you know what I mean.
[13:57] Speaker 1: Yep, I think that all the time because.
[13:59] Speaker 5: I reckon sport that the way it is today, it
[14:03] Speaker 5: has changed a lot since the eighties and seventies. But
[14:06] Speaker 5: I reckon sport today they're going to look at and
[14:08] Speaker 5: go Can you believe they were doing that damage to themselves?
[14:10] Speaker 5: They didn't know what they're doing it?
[14:12] Speaker 2: Do you think it's like the Gladiators?
[14:13] Speaker 1: Yeah? I think I think absolutely, Yeah, I think absolutely.
[14:17] Speaker 1: I think sometimes if in two hundred years, imagine like
[14:22] Speaker 1: contact sport is barred, Yeah, what will they say about
[14:25] Speaker 1: places like the MCG and the SCG. And of course that.
[14:29] Speaker 2: Will they well they'll be cricket.
[14:31] Speaker 1: Yeah, but let's sell Let's say suggest that sport in
[14:37] Speaker 1: that form, in some sort of form gets barred, or
[14:40] Speaker 1: to the very fact that the television experience is so
[14:44] Speaker 1: good they don't need the massive stadiums anymore.
[14:48] Speaker 3: Like that could Yeah, that can.
[14:50] Speaker 1: Then will they one day go in hundreds of years
[14:53] Speaker 1: time go to the MCG and look at it the
[14:56] Speaker 1: same way as we look at the Colosseum.
[14:58] Speaker 3: That's a good question. But I I can't see sports
[15:01] Speaker 3: like NRL AFL like even though they contact sports, I
[15:05] Speaker 3: can't see them being eradicated. I can see them being
[15:08] Speaker 3: modified in one hundred years time. But it has been,
[15:12] Speaker 3: it's already been.
[15:13] Speaker 2: Of all the sports that which would be the first
[15:15] Speaker 2: to go.
[15:15] Speaker 1: West, UFC.
[15:17] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Boxy, Yeah, they're physically punching it.
[15:20] Speaker 5: I don't think so. I don't think so. I think
[15:22] Speaker 5: because those ones that are like they're one on one,
[15:25] Speaker 5: whereas the team sports, there's so much that can happen
[15:28] Speaker 5: in the it's more about the juniors where like those
[15:32] Speaker 5: those contact like full contact sports, people can roll into
[15:35] Speaker 5: that when they're eighteen. I think it's going to be
[15:37] Speaker 5: more those sports where they're trying to get mass juniors
[15:41] Speaker 5: in to develop them those highly skilled sports that are
[15:43] Speaker 5: heavy contact as well. Rugby league's probably in the firing
[15:46] Speaker 5: line a bit there, because you need to learn how
[15:48] Speaker 5: to play an union, you need to learn how to
[15:50] Speaker 5: get from a young age. The problem with it a
[15:52] Speaker 5: lot of it is, especially the headnock stuff, is participation.
[15:55] Speaker 5: Like if they don't participate, then they're going to go
[15:57] Speaker 5: and play touch football rather than rugby league. And then
[16:00] Speaker 5: suddenly that's good for touch football because suddenly there's gonna
[16:03] Speaker 5: be a lot of money getting pumped into touch football.
[16:05] Speaker 2: It's not a spectator sport.
[16:07] Speaker 3: They won't touch my rugby league as long as I'm around,
[16:09] Speaker 3: don't have anything to do with it.
[16:11] Speaker 2: Isn't there a guy in the AFL that's missing out
[16:14] Speaker 2: on this weekend's Grand Final. Of course he has a concussion.
[16:17] Speaker 2: And so they're talking about having a week in between
[16:19] Speaker 2: in future.
[16:20] Speaker 1: And I think we will as well. I think, yeah,
[16:21] Speaker 1: I reckon, we've five years, will do the same thing.
[16:24] Speaker 1: American football do it for that reason. They have the
[16:26] Speaker 1: one week and they put the Pro Bowl in there
[16:28] Speaker 1: to have all these different promos and then the following
[16:31] Speaker 1: week and just to ensure to let all the players
[16:35] Speaker 1: freshen up and get over injuries or whatnot. And yeah,
[16:38] Speaker 1: the AFL in that situation, one of the key men
[16:40] Speaker 1: for Geelong has been rubbed out, can't play, so and yeah,
[16:44] Speaker 1: I think it will happen with the NRL soon.
[16:46] Speaker 3: Jack, did you have a historical moment?
[16:48] Speaker 5: My historical moment they wanted wiped out? I think I
[16:51] Speaker 5: would have gone with like a natural disaster. I'm thinking
[16:54] Speaker 5: maybe the tsunami?
[16:56] Speaker 2: What was the one two thousand and they.
[17:01] Speaker 3: They made the movie The Impossible about that. Tom Holland
[17:04] Speaker 3: I believe is the kid in it. And McGregor yeah,
[17:07] Speaker 3: and McGregor, yeah.
[17:10] Speaker 1: It's a good movie that actually that is chilling. And
[17:13] Speaker 1: you see the time when they show title wave footage
[17:16] Speaker 1: of people standing on the birch count all of this.
[17:20] Speaker 1: A little fish there and suddenly.
[17:23] Speaker 2: It's been the worry of my life ever since I
[17:25] Speaker 2: was a little kid, a tidal wave because I've never
[17:27] Speaker 2: been a great swimmer.
[17:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, I used to.
[17:29] Speaker 3: Often think about, like fear a tidal wave because they've
[17:32] Speaker 3: always kind of been on the East coast where there's water.
[17:35] Speaker 3: I've always liked thought, oh, like Jesus, nice to be
[17:39] Speaker 3: down near the ocean. But we're in tidal wave territory.
[17:41] Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, question.
[17:43] Speaker 5: It was a boxing day, two thousand and four Boxing day.
[17:45] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's terrible.
[17:47] Speaker 1: He's a question for you. You're in the water, either
[17:51] Speaker 1: in front of you there's a forty foot wave or
[17:54] Speaker 1: a shark. Which one do you take?
[17:57] Speaker 5: How far away from your combo?
[17:58] Speaker 1: It makes a difference the shark, the shark is circling,
[18:04] Speaker 1: so the sharks and how far out to see?
[18:06] Speaker 3: Like we must be pretty far out.
[18:08] Speaker 1: Right, yeah, like you have to imagine one hundred and
[18:10] Speaker 1: fifty meters. Ye.
[18:11] Speaker 3: See, so either I need to wrestle a shark or
[18:14] Speaker 3: there's a wave coming.
[18:15] Speaker 1: You might do whatever you've got to do, like you
[18:17] Speaker 1: do Mick Fanning and hit it. To get it away
[18:21] Speaker 1: or you're going to contest with the I think I'm
[18:22] Speaker 1: taking the wave.
[18:23] Speaker 2: Forty foot wave? How that is?
[18:27] Speaker 3: I reckon? I've served.
[18:31] Speaker 5: Bet you haven't forty foot goober is? Yeah, you've never
[18:34] Speaker 5: seen a wave that's foot in person?
[18:36] Speaker 3: And has the has the wave broken yet or is
[18:39] Speaker 3: it like it's shaping it's.
[18:41] Speaker 1: Going to break it, it's peaking.
[18:44] Speaker 2: Well, you try and swim over it, mate, See, Okay,
[18:47] Speaker 2: this is.
[18:48] Speaker 3: One of This is probably one of the most toxic
[18:51] Speaker 3: thoughts that I've always had my whole life. But I've
[18:53] Speaker 3: always this would be good. I've always been under the
[18:56] Speaker 3: belief that if there's a tsunami or a tidal wave
[18:58] Speaker 3: or something that big, I'd survive it. I just duck
[19:02] Speaker 3: dive and I'd get that low that it couldn't pull me,
[19:04] Speaker 3: you know, like when a big wave comes on, you
[19:06] Speaker 3: just dive under it. I've always been of the belief
[19:09] Speaker 3: that I could take on a tidal wave.
[19:11] Speaker 2: Have you ever been caught in the wash when it
[19:13] Speaker 2: really holds you down?
[19:14] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[19:14] Speaker 3: I have been, but not not from diving like I've
[19:17] Speaker 3: done it. When I've been like trying to body surf
[19:19] Speaker 3: and then it pushes me under that. I've always I've
[19:21] Speaker 3: never had an issue with just jumping underneath the wave
[19:24] Speaker 3: and getting underneath the white wash.
[19:25] Speaker 1: It's interesting how far you would have to be at
[19:28] Speaker 1: to see to survive a tidle wave, what like, at
[19:31] Speaker 1: what point obviously it's coming in or a tsunami, because
[19:36] Speaker 1: they're different, they tied away tami different things. Well yeah, yeah,
[19:40] Speaker 1: one is like the size of bread. The other one
[19:42] Speaker 1: is literally a tide.
[19:43] Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you're right. I think the tsunami is like,
[19:46] Speaker 3: this's like a very big way that's break. But the
[19:48] Speaker 3: tidal wave is like they roll and they gather so
[19:51] Speaker 3: much power AND's just go the hard.
[19:54] Speaker 1: To survive because even though you push it under, there
[19:56] Speaker 1: are so much water behind it. I had. The one
[20:01] Speaker 1: that I would change is one I had a dream
[20:02] Speaker 1: about last night. And I never dream about the days
[20:05] Speaker 1: when I used to play, but I had a dream
[20:07] Speaker 1: last night. I was not made back of the ninety
[20:09] Speaker 1: seven Grand Final. I went for the field goal, the
[20:11] Speaker 1: one that I quite right, and hit the post, and
[20:15] Speaker 1: in my dream I eradicated it. I got the ball,
[20:19] Speaker 1: worked the ball to my favorite part of the field
[20:21] Speaker 1: because I used to I liked to receive the ball
[20:23] Speaker 1: from the right side. People say, don't do it that way,
[20:26] Speaker 1: but the less chance of slicing it and just hit
[20:30] Speaker 1: it beautifully straight through.
[20:31] Speaker 3: Kind of a selfish thing to change in history, right.
[20:35] Speaker 1: Change. I mean you're going to criticize for trying to
[20:37] Speaker 1: kill baby. Now we go on field goals, Okay.
[20:41] Speaker 2: Hang on one to say it's an army is a
[20:43] Speaker 2: large wave or series of ways caused by the sudden
[20:46] Speaker 2: displacement or a large volume of water. It's caused from earthquake,
[20:50] Speaker 2: volcanic corruption, etc. A tidal wave is a specific, less
[20:54] Speaker 2: destructive phenomenon caused by the gravitational pull of the Sun,
[20:58] Speaker 2: Moon and Earth, resulting in gradual, predictable changes in sea
[21:03] Speaker 2: level known as times.
[21:06] Speaker 1: The other thing I had a dream about last night
[21:08] Speaker 1: was a python. I had a python wrapping around.
[21:12] Speaker 2: You know why. There was one on the news last night.
[21:15] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[21:15] Speaker 1: The guy may'd be a.
[21:17] Speaker 3: Bad way to go, being strangled by python.
[21:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, bad way to go.
[21:21] Speaker 3: There's the worst ways to go. I think the worst
[21:23] Speaker 3: way to go to be set on fire. Yeah.
[21:27] Speaker 5: If you watch if you watch Friday the thirteenth, the
[21:30] Speaker 5: remake two thousand and eight or something like that, there's
[21:34] Speaker 5: a you know they're always camping in horror movies. And
[21:38] Speaker 5: this girl. They go away to the camp. They come
[21:39] Speaker 5: back to the camp and Jason has put a girl
[21:42] Speaker 5: in her sleeping bag, hung it and then put it
[21:44] Speaker 5: under a fire.
[21:45] Speaker 3: Wow, over a fire.
[21:47] Speaker 5: Sorry, so she's roasting in her sleeping.
[21:49] Speaker 3: Please, Jason Stevens.
[21:53] Speaker 1: Cool, baby Jason.
[21:55] Speaker 3: I'd happily kill baby Jason.
[21:57] Speaker 2: Is that from it's supposed to?
[22:00] Speaker 3: He's a bad guy?
[22:01] Speaker 2: You know, I've almost round. Yeah, I think you've told
[22:03] Speaker 2: us when I was twelve, go.
[22:05] Speaker 3: On, why don't everyone talk about it?
[22:07] Speaker 5: You know, let's just list.
[22:09] Speaker 2: Like I was on a sand bank like my girlfriends
[22:11] Speaker 2: with our was twelve, and I turned around everyone was gone.
[22:15] Speaker 2: Next minute, I couldn't stand the tie just took me
[22:18] Speaker 2: out and there was a couple there and I'm dog
[22:20] Speaker 2: paddling towards him, just going help, help, help, because I
[22:23] Speaker 2: was very conscious of remember all those advertisements Matt back
[22:28] Speaker 2: in the day, like we grabbed people and then you
[22:31] Speaker 2: make them sink. So I didn't want to do that.
[22:33] Speaker 2: And then I blacked out, and then I woke up
[22:35] Speaker 2: on the beach with my little boob tube top around
[22:38] Speaker 2: the navel. Oh god, with the life savers and I
[22:41] Speaker 2: was horrified.
[22:42] Speaker 3: Yeah, because remember dad, me And we'll get to your
[22:45] Speaker 3: drowning story soon, Joe. Everybody had come with a drowning story.
[22:47] Speaker 2: Now.
[22:48] Speaker 3: Remember I think me and you were in like we
[22:51] Speaker 3: were in Fiji or something or Thailand. We're in the
[22:53] Speaker 3: ocean and I was sort of drowning and you come
[22:57] Speaker 3: out to help me. But I was so panicked that
[22:59] Speaker 3: I pushed you under. Do you remember that who it
[23:01] Speaker 3: was that?
[23:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, it was I think it was entirely.
[23:04] Speaker 3: It was somewhere in the ocean, and I remember and
[23:06] Speaker 3: I still remember the memory now because I was like,
[23:08] Speaker 3: I started freaking out so much, and I was quite young,
[23:10] Speaker 3: but I'm trying to like level up Dad. But we
[23:13] Speaker 3: were so deep that Dad, Dad was sinking and then he.
[23:16] Speaker 1: Was like, I was trying to.
[23:20] Speaker 3: Dad, just go and get off me. Just pushed me back.
[23:21] Speaker 3: Do I sunk to the bottom of my cast iron Jack?
[23:25] Speaker 3: What about your drowning story.
[23:28] Speaker 5: In Spain? And I drowned Locky Land's mum wife of Adrian. Oh, yeah,
[23:33] Speaker 5: from drowning. I still remember it. I still I can
[23:36] Speaker 5: picture where it was. And I was in the corner of.
[23:37] Speaker 2: We were in bay around the pool, and and I
[23:43] Speaker 2: didn't even see you go in, Jack, So you were
[23:45] Speaker 2: four and you just did you fall in? Did you
[23:49] Speaker 2: jump in?
[23:49] Speaker 5: I don't know. I was kind of stupid enough that
[23:52] Speaker 5: I think I might have actually just jumped in, realizing.
[23:54] Speaker 2: That she and she jumped straight in. That was the
[23:57] Speaker 2: first time she jumped in and grabbed.
[23:59] Speaker 1: She's a good woman, mate, Yeah.
[24:00] Speaker 2: She's awesome.
[24:02] Speaker 3: I remember I used to pretend no, no, no, pretend
[24:07] Speaker 3: like when I said, pretend to drown, I'd pretend that
[24:09] Speaker 3: I was drowning sometimes to see if people around me
[24:12] Speaker 3: cared enough about me.
[24:13] Speaker 5: Do you young?
[24:15] Speaker 2: Like I know, I never disre even tried.
[24:17] Speaker 3: I think I remember at our old pool, at our
[24:19] Speaker 3: old house, I'd kind of just sit float on top
[24:21] Speaker 3: of the pool for like ten seconds, just to see
[24:23] Speaker 3: if anybody notice. Never, no one ever noticed, and I'd
[24:27] Speaker 3: run out of brea.
[24:28] Speaker 5: You can trace that to a lot of your traits
[24:30] Speaker 5: today and all the Troy.
[24:32] Speaker 3: And I also remember our cousin Samuel one time, who
[24:36] Speaker 3: we've told the yarn about before. When do you remember
[24:39] Speaker 3: that island? Yeah, he's the one that hates ben Fordham.
[24:44] Speaker 3: It's Joey's son. He sledge bed forwardhim that time for
[24:47] Speaker 3: lying about the world. Ending in twenty twelve, at the
[24:49] Speaker 3: end of the Aztec calendar, we're at Hammon Island. I
[24:52] Speaker 3: still remember it. I don't know whether he got angry
[24:54] Speaker 3: at me or whether he.
[24:55] Speaker 2: Was just in a bad mood, but you were just
[24:57] Speaker 2: annoying you.
[24:57] Speaker 3: I think I pissed him off and he was trying
[24:59] Speaker 3: to to drown me, and I remember thinking I'm about
[25:03] Speaker 3: to die.
[25:04] Speaker 2: I think Jack was looking after you.
[25:06] Speaker 3: Yeah, well he did a good job of that because
[25:08] Speaker 3: I was out of breath.
[25:09] Speaker 5: I was taking my time making sure you learn a lesson.
[25:11] Speaker 2: Yeah, should And the moral of the story used to
[25:14] Speaker 2: have your smart ass.
[25:15] Speaker 3: Jack your weekend. You had a story before, what was it?
[25:17] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[25:17] Speaker 5: Yeah, So over the week.
[25:23] Speaker 3: We've had a few edits to Jack trying to tell
[25:24] Speaker 3: the story, and now we're in number four, So retell
[25:27] Speaker 3: it again.
[25:28] Speaker 5: A friend over the weekend that had his car up
[25:32] Speaker 5: for sale over the on Pittwater Road, as they do,
[25:35] Speaker 5: and a few people team out trying to stitch him up.
[25:37] Speaker 5: So I sent like a anonymous text. So this is
[25:40] Speaker 5: how it went. I went, Hello, there, I'm just inquiring
[25:44] Speaker 5: about the B ANDW for sale on Pittwater Road, just
[25:47] Speaker 5: confirming it's a twenty twelve model, and what intensity the
[25:50] Speaker 5: tinting is on the windows is twelve thousand definite or
[25:55] Speaker 5: we able to work kind regards Margaret Quality. And I
[25:58] Speaker 5: sat on it for a little bit to.
[25:59] Speaker 2: See what he's You know, who Margaret Quality is who
[26:02] Speaker 2: I was in my mind. That is, she's the girl
[26:07] Speaker 2: in the Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. She's the younger girl.
[26:13] Speaker 2: She's the daughter of the lovely woman with the curly
[26:16] Speaker 2: brown hair that busy full weddings and a funeral, Andy
[26:22] Speaker 2: McDowell's daughter.
[26:25] Speaker 5: And so he replied with high, Margaret, the windows are standard,
[26:30] Speaker 5: no tinting replacements have been done since the original. Blah
[26:33] Speaker 5: blah blah blah. And he was like kind of sussed out,
[26:35] Speaker 5: my friend, let me know, he said, wow, he was
[26:38] Speaker 5: really like weeded out by the by the mess, like
[26:41] Speaker 5: the question about the tinting of the windows. So I
[26:43] Speaker 5: came back with I came back with awesome, thank you
[26:46] Speaker 5: for your swift reply. My puppy, Luna loves looking at
[26:50] Speaker 5: the windows. I don't want her to be disappointed. FU. Fuck,
[26:54] Speaker 5: this is a ship, It's.
[27:00] Speaker 3: Just a highlight Jack, I love that you're so self aware,
[27:05] Speaker 3: you know.
[27:05] Speaker 2: I love that you tried.
[27:06] Speaker 5: I've tried so hard to you today.
[27:08] Speaker 3: And Jack, I love that we had to edit it
[27:11] Speaker 3: a few times. And Jack's blaming everyone else except his
[27:14] Speaker 3: own ship storytelling, and then finally he's realized that the
[27:17] Speaker 3: story was just obviously was heading to nowhere down.
[27:22] Speaker 1: Our g up. We don't have the course of the weekend,
[27:24] Speaker 1: but it could be one of our finest.
[27:26] Speaker 3: I wish we could.
[27:27] Speaker 1: I wish we could.
[27:28] Speaker 3: I wish we could wish politics.
[27:31] Speaker 1: It was a great gap we did on a certain
[27:33] Speaker 1: NRL coach.
[27:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we'll tell you.
[27:37] Speaker 5: What we'll have.
[27:39] Speaker 2: We not told you no out a weekend.
[27:41] Speaker 3: You must be the only person that we haven't spoken
[27:43] Speaker 3: to about it, because jeez, we made fun of.
[27:45] Speaker 1: Luckily, the coach is sort of well spirited. He's got
[27:48] Speaker 1: a sense of humor because oh yeah, we got it good.
[27:52] Speaker 3: Yeah as well. We spoke about the Brown Loan Medal
[27:54] Speaker 3: before the AFL medal, the Daian medals coming up as well.
[27:58] Speaker 3: I want to get everyone's prediction of who you think
[28:00] Speaker 3: might win it. But the Brownlow Medal I only found
[28:03] Speaker 3: out the other day that's decided by the actual umpire
[28:07] Speaker 3: the referees that they pick who gets the points three
[28:09] Speaker 3: to one every game? Do you think that's and I
[28:12] Speaker 3: am of the opinion that's a completely flawed system because
[28:15] Speaker 3: the referees definitely, respectfully to them, they're good at a
[28:18] Speaker 3: duticat of the game, but they don't know the game
[28:20] Speaker 3: on that level to pick who was the best player.
[28:23] Speaker 3: And they're too busy.
[28:24] Speaker 1: Looking at they're doing their jobs. Because but I think
[28:26] Speaker 1: the Rothman's medal they used to be they used to
[28:29] Speaker 1: sit parallel to the Dalian medal that was voted by
[28:31] Speaker 1: the referees through to one as well.
[28:33] Speaker 3: And was that ever sort of critics because.
[28:34] Speaker 2: It's Yeah, but I would challenge the Dalaim medal. That's
[28:40] Speaker 2: from people in the media, isn't.
[28:41] Speaker 1: It people in the media.
[28:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that can always be biased.
[28:44] Speaker 3: And ex players and yeah, yeah, but they're not always
[28:48] Speaker 3: media personalities.
[28:49] Speaker 1: They've been asked. I did it one year. I won't
[28:52] Speaker 1: be doing it again. There's just because you're sitting here
[28:54] Speaker 1: watching the game, You're watching a really enjoyable game. Then
[28:58] Speaker 1: you get the end of it and you go to one,
[29:00] Speaker 1: oh right, well he was good, but who else?
[29:03] Speaker 2: It's just open he was good in attack, he was
[29:05] Speaker 2: great in defense.
[29:05] Speaker 3: Yep, that's right, because there was one game that was
[29:08] Speaker 3: very heavily criticized. Some bloke apparently it was like nearly
[29:10] Speaker 3: the game of the year. He was unbelievable and he
[29:12] Speaker 3: got the two points rather than three points, and everyone
[29:14] Speaker 3: in the room apparently like booed. They were like blowing
[29:18] Speaker 3: up that he didn't get it. And then the guy
[29:20] Speaker 3: that won, Matt rewl he's from the Gold cost Sons,
[29:23] Speaker 3: like good player. But there were two clear favorites and
[29:27] Speaker 3: they didn't. They both finished second and four.
[29:29] Speaker 1: So the brown Law did he Yeah? Did he really?
[29:33] Speaker 3: Yeah?
[29:34] Speaker 1: Brown Laws appear to me to be more about the
[29:37] Speaker 1: red carpet dresses than the.
[29:40] Speaker 5: G said this to me earlier, she said, Wow, they
[29:43] Speaker 5: really get ready for it, like it's the the Oscars.
[29:45] Speaker 3: Almost Yeah, and they they love it.
[29:48] Speaker 1: They love the point some of the former wags still
[29:51] Speaker 1: go even though their husbands don't go.
[29:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's more of a it's more of a glitz
[29:56] Speaker 3: and glamour type event like the dally Ms. It's not
[29:59] Speaker 3: very clear. I have a look at what Craig Bellamy
[30:01] Speaker 3: wore two years ago. Beatle, have you still got that?
[30:05] Speaker 2: Jack I still do.
[30:06] Speaker 3: Yeah, I shot a video on it the other day. Actually,
[30:09] Speaker 3: I think because he because afterwards he goes, oh that's funny,
[30:12] Speaker 3: just bring it back whenever, and I've just still got it.
[30:15] Speaker 3: I love her. Good to see you bounced off that
[30:19] Speaker 3: And another thing I wanted to bring up, who's going
[30:22] Speaker 3: to win the daim this year?
[30:23] Speaker 2: That's what I.
[30:26] Speaker 1: Think He'll win it by mile? Oh you reckon, I
[30:28] Speaker 1: think the only one that really. When I was thinking
[30:30] Speaker 1: about Tedesco one, I would have thought Harry Grant might
[30:34] Speaker 1: have contested, but Harry's been ruled out due to the suspension.
[30:37] Speaker 2: I don't like that.
[30:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't like that real now I don't like
[30:41] Speaker 1: it either. But but anyway.
[30:44] Speaker 5: I would love to have seen where Luke Metcalfe was
[30:48] Speaker 5: before he got injured.
[30:49] Speaker 1: He was, he was leading, leading, Yeah he was, Yeah, he's.
[30:53] Speaker 5: That's a shame that that happened.
[30:55] Speaker 1: With What do you? What do you?
[30:57] Speaker 5: I think?
[30:57] Speaker 1: I think Nathan will do a late search, but Desco
[31:00] Speaker 1: has been just when does it stop around twenty seven
[31:04] Speaker 1: the regular rounds? It doesn't.
[31:06] Speaker 2: Oh so it's determined already.
[31:07] Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, it's determined behind closed doors.
[31:11] Speaker 3: Yeah, anyway, does anyone else have anything from their week,
[31:13] Speaker 3: because well I'm when there's see when there's a little
[31:16] Speaker 3: bit of like dead air, then I'm looking someone brings
[31:19] Speaker 3: something up because I feel like I'm monologuing, do you know.
[31:22] Speaker 1: I think it was the last year of the Rothmans
[31:24] Speaker 1: medal this point as well. This is where they changed
[31:26] Speaker 1: the whole system because what happened was back when there
[31:30] Speaker 1: was center bet and top end bet, there wasn't like
[31:33] Speaker 1: another big beating. So what had happened is they've gone,
[31:36] Speaker 1: oh my god, look at this.
[31:36] Speaker 2: All this because it was based out of Northern Territory.
[31:39] Speaker 1: Territory, but I had all these bets coming through and
[31:42] Speaker 1: Dave fairly, but people within the game, you the day
[31:45] Speaker 1: Phi lead won and especially made it just cleaned them out.
[31:48] Speaker 3: Well there was that belly eight thing as well. Yeah,
[31:50] Speaker 3: and that's why you can't bet on it anymore.
[31:52] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right.
[31:53] Speaker 2: So you can't bet on Dallian.
[31:56] Speaker 3: That maybe the Dalian metal you can, but not individual positions.
[32:00] Speaker 1: I think I think you can bet on it. I
[32:03] Speaker 1: reckon before a bulls kicked. I think you can bet
[32:06] Speaker 1: on it into the season because yeah, yeah.
[32:11] Speaker 3: That's to see if there's even a market for a Now,
[32:13] Speaker 3: I know the coach of the definitely can't bet on
[32:15] Speaker 3: anyone now because I think that's a little bit of
[32:17] Speaker 3: a gray area.
[32:19] Speaker 1: I think they've changed it, really they have.
[32:21] Speaker 3: Anyway, you guys keep talking while I'm okay.
[32:23] Speaker 2: So I have my niece's hens on the weekend, otherwise
[32:26] Speaker 2: known as a dough show, which I've educated you about.
[32:31] Speaker 2: But I do have a little question. So if it's Hens,
[32:35] Speaker 2: why isn't it a Rooster's party? Because that's why it
[32:40] Speaker 2: made sense, a Bucks party and the Doe show. And
[32:43] Speaker 2: now when I said dough show, you said you didn't
[32:46] Speaker 2: know what that was. But the dough is the opposite
[32:48] Speaker 2: of a buck.
[32:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh is that so female?
[32:51] Speaker 2: Dear?
[32:51] Speaker 3: Is that? What is that? What a bucks is bucks?
[32:54] Speaker 2: A buck is a male de Yeah, but it's not.
[32:56] Speaker 3: A Buck party.
[32:57] Speaker 2: It's a Bucks party, Bucks party and the dough show.
[33:01] Speaker 2: That's what it used to be called. But now they
[33:03] Speaker 2: call it a hens. So then why don't they have
[33:06] Speaker 2: a roosters?
[33:07] Speaker 3: That's a good question. I feel like it's a question
[33:10] Speaker 3: for like someone else, but I don't. I'm not too
[33:14] Speaker 3: sure what right.
[33:15] Speaker 2: Well, so Matt drove me and in there and on
[33:20] Speaker 2: his way and he's sort of suddenly like just I
[33:23] Speaker 2: was asking questions about there would be a stripper mm hmm,
[33:27] Speaker 2: which there was not. I don't think that really goes
[33:30] Speaker 2: on these days. It's something from the nineties time. The
[33:35] Speaker 2: last time I saw it stripper? Was it one of
[33:37] Speaker 2: Matt's mate's birthday parties in that Willow?
[33:42] Speaker 1: Maybe I can't remember.
[33:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, we're there with your mum.
[33:45] Speaker 3: Was the last time you saw.
[33:48] Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know. But there's still a thing.
[33:51] Speaker 1: There's still there's still heaps of still a thing at
[33:53] Speaker 1: parties really like hens nights.
[33:56] Speaker 3: Yeah, don't do so much. Would you would, even at
[34:00] Speaker 3: this fine age, after a lovely illustrious marriage, would you be.
[34:04] Speaker 2: Off, mum?
[34:05] Speaker 1: If there was a photo that came through basically a
[34:08] Speaker 1: stripper sculp, I would say that, Yeah. I would.
[34:14] Speaker 3: Don't repeat it again because then Jack will.
[34:15] Speaker 1: Have to be what it is. It's you know, where
[34:17] Speaker 1: strippers grab a person's head and it's like you know,
[34:20] Speaker 1: some thrust against it. Yeah, yeah, or as they they
[34:24] Speaker 1: came when they do it too. There is a name
[34:26] Speaker 1: for that. When a stripper does it to someone who's
[34:31] Speaker 1: over sixty, they call it castle Grayskull, that's what the
[34:35] Speaker 1: is that a real thing? Yeah, Castle Graysco Do you
[34:38] Speaker 1: know Castle grays.
[34:38] Speaker 3: SkELL is no skeleton.
[34:40] Speaker 1: That was skeleton where skeleton come from the HEMN series.
[34:43] Speaker 1: That was his house, Castle Grayskull.
[34:46] Speaker 2: Getting worse.
[34:47] Speaker 1: So when a stripper that gy rates against a woman's
[34:50] Speaker 1: head who they've assisted a bit of fun, you know,
[34:52] Speaker 1: like in a stripped thing and a bit of fun,
[34:54] Speaker 1: that's called Castle Grayskull.
[34:55] Speaker 3: Wow, Well that is very informative.
[34:59] Speaker 2: I don't think anybody she's touching anybody's head.
[35:02] Speaker 3: Well, that's what strippers do, right, that's their job.
[35:05] Speaker 1: To let them do their job.
[35:07] Speaker 3: And I always wonder like because young people like Jack
[35:10] Speaker 3: and I's age, they would deal with that sort of stuff.
[35:13] Speaker 3: Bucks parties, hands parties a lot, and strippers are probably
[35:16] Speaker 3: an issue in that sort of age group relationships where
[35:18] Speaker 3: the partners are like, you know, if there are strippers there,
[35:21] Speaker 3: I want to know about it, YadA YadA. But I
[35:23] Speaker 3: wouldn't have thought that, Dad, you would have even asked
[35:26] Speaker 3: Mum that question.
[35:29] Speaker 1: I don't know. I just I just as I said before,
[35:32] Speaker 1: I just want to photos come through a stripper down
[35:34] Speaker 1: his g string dray around against my wife's head.
[35:37] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[35:37] Speaker 3: But even if there was one there and Tristan to
[35:39] Speaker 3: come home and said there was a stripper there, no
[35:41] Speaker 3: photo or anything, would you still have an issue with it.
[35:43] Speaker 1: I would have an issue if he was stock, if
[35:47] Speaker 1: he was skull rooting, and that would have a problem
[35:49] Speaker 1: there really anyone know, if it's skull rooting, you can
[35:53] Speaker 1: he can do that to anybody.
[35:54] Speaker 3: I disagree. I think if you come home and say
[35:57] Speaker 3: and there was no skull involved, I don't know why
[35:59] Speaker 3: you keep coming to a skull and what's so obsessed
[36:02] Speaker 3: with skulls? I think you still would have been jealous,
[36:05] Speaker 3: because I find the older you get, the more jealous
[36:08] Speaker 3: is getting.
[36:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think do you reckon as well? Yeah?
[36:10] Speaker 3: Jack, I don't know. I don't know.
[36:15] Speaker 5: I don't see that side of father too much.
[36:16] Speaker 1: Good. Yeah, Well, I mean Trisha went out Saturday night,
[36:20] Speaker 1: got to abduce it now ten point thirty and wait
[36:23] Speaker 1: for this, went out Sunday night as she.
[36:25] Speaker 2: Didn't actually hang on. I went out Sunday for lunch.
[36:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, Sunday, and didn't come back at all. End up
[36:33] Speaker 1: coming clock was back at nine o'clock the next morning.
[36:36] Speaker 3: It was where'd you stay?
[36:38] Speaker 2: And my friends please.
[36:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, And her friend was calling me while I was
[36:42] Speaker 1: on air on the Sunday Night Shower. I was looking
[36:44] Speaker 1: next to him and the phone was there and it
[36:45] Speaker 1: just kept ringing for Tricia's friend, and I'm going, what
[36:48] Speaker 1: the hell is going on here?
[36:49] Speaker 2: And then are you worried about me? Maybe i'd been.
[36:52] Speaker 1: Uh no, but and then it ran said, she said,
[36:57] Speaker 1: because we went afterwards after the show, we all went
[37:00] Speaker 1: to Bill and Tony's restaurant in darling Hurst, Expence Food,
[37:05] Speaker 1: great food.
[37:06] Speaker 3: So because that how late at night did you have
[37:08] Speaker 3: at that? Bill? And after you and the Maddie John
[37:10] Speaker 3: Show crew went out for dinner? What's a how late
[37:13] Speaker 3: a night? I got back about probably midnightish. That's a lie.
[37:18] Speaker 3: What that's a lie. That's a massive. I was okay
[37:22] Speaker 3: here because your producer, Johnny Claig texted me at one
[37:26] Speaker 3: twenty and said, can you let your dad know he
[37:29] Speaker 3: lost he left his phone here, And then at one
[37:31] Speaker 3: twenty five he said, no worries, mate, he just came
[37:34] Speaker 3: back and grabbed it. So you were there at one
[37:36] Speaker 3: twenty five, which.
[37:37] Speaker 2: Is a lot of when you replied, and you replied
[37:39] Speaker 2: to me at two am.
[37:42] Speaker 1: Yeah, which is a lot earlier than getting back at nine.
[37:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, but buddy, I was in bed at six thirty.
[37:46] Speaker 1: Yeah, Trish at someone else's.
[37:48] Speaker 2: Bed, Yeah, yeah, my girlfriends.
[37:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's what I mean that. So if I
[37:52] Speaker 1: get if I decided I roll in tomorrow morning, I'm
[37:55] Speaker 1: going to go for a couple of beers and roll
[37:57] Speaker 1: in at ten o'clock the next morning. So if I said, now,
[37:59] Speaker 1: I fell asleep on in, fell asleep, and Johnny and
[38:04] Speaker 1: Johnny and Steve just put me to bed, you go, oh,
[38:06] Speaker 1: that's fine.
[38:07] Speaker 2: Do you know what you're actually in town? You could
[38:09] Speaker 2: have come and got me, brought me home.
[38:12] Speaker 1: No, we were having a bes.
[38:16] Speaker 5: Yeah, because I rang. I rang her eleven to see
[38:18] Speaker 5: if she needed a lift or if she was okay,
[38:20] Speaker 5: because I heard radio silence, and when she answered it
[38:24] Speaker 5: straight away, I went, are you high? Because you were
[38:27] Speaker 5: like super like lasi dar And it turns out you
[38:30] Speaker 5: were asleep. Yeah. I texted her daughter and made sure
[38:33] Speaker 5: you're right. Turns out you've been asleep since six point
[38:36] Speaker 5: thirty apparently, Yes, that afternoon on a Sunday.
[38:39] Speaker 2: No, that's a night, guys. What time do I go
[38:42] Speaker 2: to bed? Normally at home? Very early?
[38:44] Speaker 5: And that was at home. It is a pretty important part.
[38:47] Speaker 2: And the and I had the hands to day before, so.
[38:50] Speaker 3: I started, oh no, poor bugger, So why didn't you
[38:53] Speaker 3: come home?
[38:54] Speaker 1: Do come home?
[38:56] Speaker 2: I fell asleep. Oh I was going to go, and
[38:58] Speaker 2: then they said I'll just go and have a nap,
[38:59] Speaker 2: and then I was down. I was a bit like you,
[39:01] Speaker 2: and then that was it. It was just an app.
[39:03] Speaker 3: Don't bring me this, don't bring my name into because
[39:08] Speaker 3: I'll tell you what. I wouldn't like my missus bloody
[39:11] Speaker 3: staying somewhere else. Missus Yeah, I wouldn't like my cheese
[39:14] Speaker 3: and kisses staying somewhere else. Come back the next morning
[39:17] Speaker 3: and she'd know about it.
[39:19] Speaker 1: She did. When she walked in, she had a dress
[39:21] Speaker 1: on and goes, oh god, it's like I've just done
[39:22] Speaker 1: the Walk of Shame, which like the walker shamies. Yeah,
[39:25] Speaker 1: I know that's what I'm going.
[39:27] Speaker 3: We're twenty six and twenty yeah.
[39:29] Speaker 1: Yeah. But I was like, oh, right, have you okay?
[39:32] Speaker 3: Did you sleep in bed with back? Anyone else get
[39:35] Speaker 3: anything from their week?
[39:36] Speaker 2: Yeah? And I went to the butchers yesterday and the
[39:40] Speaker 2: lovely young man like full of personality and obviously a
[39:43] Speaker 2: very friendly young fellow big hickey on his neck?
[39:47] Speaker 3: Oh we at the butcher? How old was he?
[39:50] Speaker 5: Jack?
[39:50] Speaker 2: Sage used to play with Jack apparently.
[39:52] Speaker 3: Yeah, I got.
[39:55] Speaker 1: To mention, won't mind.
[39:57] Speaker 2: He's got a wife and he's a lovely boy.
[40:00] Speaker 1: I hope it was his wife he gave it to him.
[40:01] Speaker 2: But I thought, I have not seen a hickey in
[40:04] Speaker 2: a long time.
[40:06] Speaker 3: Yeah, hickey aka, I love bite? Yeah they I mean,
[40:10] Speaker 3: have you.
[40:10] Speaker 2: Ever had one?
[40:11] Speaker 5: Coot?
[40:12] Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I've had a hickey?
[40:13] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, have you what do you mean?
[40:14] Speaker 5: Yeah?
[40:15] Speaker 3: You would have had one?
[40:15] Speaker 5: I know.
[40:16] Speaker 2: I only gave myself one when I was about eight
[40:18] Speaker 2: or nine on the arm, remember, And that's when my
[40:20] Speaker 2: mom said, oh, you're going to die now.
[40:22] Speaker 3: But your mom said you're going to die from a
[40:24] Speaker 3: hickey yet, like a blood clot.
[40:26] Speaker 2: Like because I've gone on, what have I done here?
[40:29] Speaker 2: And she's going to going to die now?
[40:30] Speaker 3: That's a horrible thing to say, I know.
[40:32] Speaker 1: Do you know Once I had a girl gave me
[40:36] Speaker 1: hickey on the face. She was actually on the face.
[40:38] Speaker 1: I was kissing that she was biting at me.
[40:42] Speaker 2: Was a sucker fish and like.
[40:43] Speaker 1: Now she was like binding, you know, like she must
[40:45] Speaker 1: have been really in the throes of passion biting me,
[40:48] Speaker 1: and I was seeing myself she's gonna draw blood anyway.
[40:51] Speaker 1: She did, drew blood a bit like a piece out
[40:54] Speaker 1: on a cheek.
[40:54] Speaker 3: I remember a girl. A girl drew bud from but
[40:58] Speaker 3: drew blood from my lips, like from like actually almost
[41:01] Speaker 3: sucking lip. Yeah, like it like doing the Hickey motion,
[41:05] Speaker 3: but on my bottom lip. And I had to say,
[41:07] Speaker 3: I had to say stop. I actually had to And
[41:11] Speaker 3: it was like talk about like a massive turn off.
[41:13] Speaker 3: I just said, like from me for having to tell
[41:16] Speaker 3: you're literally about to rip my bottom lip off. And
[41:19] Speaker 3: then it was just pissing black.
[41:21] Speaker 5: Speaking of this. Me and Jen saw Ben Lee in
[41:25] Speaker 5: the city on the weekend. Yeah, yeah, explained, I explained
[41:30] Speaker 5: who it was to to Gem. What's that to do
[41:33] Speaker 5: with nothing?
[41:34] Speaker 1: It's just he's just maneuvering.
[41:37] Speaker 5: I'm maneuvering catch my disease that he was. He was
[41:42] Speaker 5: just sitting there and I went to Gem, that's I
[41:44] Speaker 5: don't want to bother him because he looked like he
[41:46] Speaker 5: wasn't keen to chat, but.
[41:49] Speaker 2: That vibe.
[41:50] Speaker 5: Yeah, when who's Ben Lee? You know what? Oh no?
[41:53] Speaker 5: And I sang the song. She was, oh yeah, everyone
[41:55] Speaker 5: knows that song.
[41:55] Speaker 3: Yeah, something tells me Ben Lee doesn't get recognized that much.
[41:58] Speaker 3: I think everyone would know his songs. Very big, a
[42:01] Speaker 3: big artist.
[42:02] Speaker 5: I think internationally that song was massive, giving people STIs.
[42:07] Speaker 1: He was married to a movie actress, Clear Danes. He
[42:10] Speaker 1: was married to Clear Danes.
[42:11] Speaker 2: They went out together. I don't know if they're married.
[42:13] Speaker 1: Right, Okay? Yeah?
[42:17] Speaker 2: Is he a producer now more so than a performing artist?
[42:20] Speaker 1: Possibly? Possibly, I'm not sure he came out recently, he
[42:24] Speaker 1: did it at all recently? Yeah, very very talented, very
[42:28] Speaker 1: very good.
[42:28] Speaker 3: I just bought tickets to The Fray.
[42:31] Speaker 2: I love the Fray.
[42:31] Speaker 3: Yeah right, yeah, I just.
[42:35] Speaker 6: Love the Fray. That song, which I've got about four
[42:39] Speaker 6: or five. Give me an example, that's not the Fray,
[42:42] Speaker 6: is it not? No, that's chasing cars Snow Patrol Snow
[42:45] Speaker 6: Patrol Lucky. Yeah, very similar vibes though, like like you
[42:49] Speaker 6: listen to it, like when you're in a sad mood.
[42:52] Speaker 1: The Fray, give me what song?
[42:54] Speaker 3: How to Save a life?
[42:56] Speaker 1: Right?
[42:57] Speaker 3: You found Mayor? You found mayor that one? Yeah, it's
[43:00] Speaker 3: called Your Found to See Yeah, yeah, it did go wrong.
[43:06] Speaker 3: So I'm actually very excited to it. When you're going
[43:08] Speaker 3: it's December, so I've got to be a time to prap.
[43:12] Speaker 3: I'm taking the rose.
[43:13] Speaker 2: Man, okay, And I've got a little tip for everyone.
[43:16] Speaker 2: I was reading there's a new study that's come out
[43:19] Speaker 2: and they say that people aged fifty one to seventy
[43:21] Speaker 2: five who can't balance on one leg for ten seconds
[43:26] Speaker 2: are twice as likely to die within the following ten years.
[43:28] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ, because it was it was an article and
[43:32] Speaker 2: a study based upon the exercises you need to do
[43:37] Speaker 2: to live to one hundred. Yeah right, but yeah, so
[43:40] Speaker 2: it start practicing your balance on one leg for ten
[43:43] Speaker 2: seconds and try each leg.
[43:46] Speaker 3: It's actually very hard to stay balanced these days. I
[43:48] Speaker 3: struggle or well, and particularly we.
[43:52] Speaker 5: Did Pilarates over the weekend. Keep your balancing there a
[43:54] Speaker 5: little bit.
[43:54] Speaker 3: Oh we did too. I forgot to mention that. Yeah,
[43:56] Speaker 3: me and Jack and Jim went down to Polarates. Killed it.
[43:59] Speaker 3: The lady and Pilarates actually just rang me while I
[44:01] Speaker 3: was having a nap and left me a text. I
[44:03] Speaker 3: think she's trying to upsell me. I was like, how'd
[44:05] Speaker 3: you go with the session? Would love to get the
[44:08] Speaker 3: first fifty people that sign up for a membership this week.
[44:10] Speaker 3: And I was like, hey, cool your jets. There was
[44:12] Speaker 3: one session. You know what I'm saying, super size me.
[44:14] Speaker 3: Would you like fries with that? Yeah, they're relentless, those upsellers.
[44:18] Speaker 3: The real estate agent I inquired about one property I have, Oh,
[44:22] Speaker 3: I literally have to tell the guy please leave me alone.
[44:25] Speaker 3: They're relentless.
[44:26] Speaker 5: That's their job.
[44:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm glad that they actually follow you up
[44:30] Speaker 2: because sometimes they don't bother at all.
[44:31] Speaker 3: It's like the paparazzi these days, the paparazzi in Sydney particularly,
[44:35] Speaker 3: and I even look at like Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne.
[44:39] Speaker 3: It's getting kind of worse with sport going to finals.
[44:41] Speaker 3: They look relentless.
[44:43] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they are actually.
[44:44] Speaker 3: Related starting to get worse and what like they're actually
[44:46] Speaker 3: provoking people now.
[44:47] Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, it's big in America, but yeah, it's
[44:52] Speaker 1: like a lot of they start to provoking here.
[44:54] Speaker 5: In the UK. They're horrendously.
[44:56] Speaker 2: I was watching They've always been the worst.
[44:58] Speaker 3: I hate that stuff the whole. Like, there are some
[45:00] Speaker 3: people that go on to court that they're genuinely bad
[45:03] Speaker 3: enough where you can probably go, you know what, feel
[45:05] Speaker 3: free to give them a bit of stick. You know,
[45:07] Speaker 3: they're doing some shit, and you know they're going to
[45:10] Speaker 3: go to jail for life, potential electric chair stuff. Feel
[45:13] Speaker 3: free to put the mic in their face and give
[45:16] Speaker 3: them as much. But they're just because a player or
[45:19] Speaker 3: someone of high profile is going to court. You don't
[45:21] Speaker 3: need to try to aggravate them to get a headlined.
[45:24] Speaker 1: I can't remember what he said, but there's a funny
[45:27] Speaker 1: one with Spencer and you. Apparently spencerl and you caught.
[45:30] Speaker 3: Him a muppet. They asked him something about like either
[45:36] Speaker 3: either Victor or about the notorious golf tripe and he said,
[45:39] Speaker 3: as if I talked to you muppets one.
[45:44] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the hop of one where we're driving the
[45:46] Speaker 1: stop waddy.
[45:50] Speaker 3: He said as he was leaving the court. As he
[45:53] Speaker 3: was leaving court jack for parking fines, they said, where
[45:57] Speaker 3: were you parked? They picked out in front of your
[45:59] Speaker 3: mum's ear. Obviously she was only a two hours.
[46:04] Speaker 5: Okay, I've got I've got a segment here for us today.
[46:07] Speaker 2: He did a good one.
[46:08] Speaker 3: Oh hi, well questionable.
[46:10] Speaker 5: We'll see how he goes this time.
[46:12] Speaker 3: You've been killing it so fast, so we'll kick it.
[46:13] Speaker 5: Thanks. Yeah, so today Cooper, you're out of this. It's
[46:18] Speaker 5: only Trish and Matthew just the one can say sorry.
[46:22] Speaker 5: So the quiz is no, you can leave it on
[46:25] Speaker 5: if you react. Okay, he's turned it off. He's protesting react.
[46:29] Speaker 5: So essentially, I'm giving you guys on list of questions.
[46:32] Speaker 5: These are all young people. What's the what's the most
[46:36] Speaker 5: recent generation of Z gen Z people?
[46:38] Speaker 1: Is it to gen?
[46:42] Speaker 5: Sixteen to eighteen year olds at the moment? These are
[46:44] Speaker 5: their words, their lingo they're using. I'm going to give
[46:46] Speaker 5: you some words and you and Matthew Trish have to
[46:49] Speaker 5: try and guess what it means. You've got to buzz
[46:52] Speaker 5: in your name, whatever you want to do. Who's the
[46:54] Speaker 5: youngest person here? Essentially, let's call it that I know
[46:57] Speaker 5: how to I know how to fuck up a segment,
[46:59] Speaker 5: don't I?
[47:00] Speaker 3: Actually, so he's there's words that young people are using.
[47:02] Speaker 3: He's just going to see if you guys understand, right,
[47:06] Speaker 3: you kill?
[47:06] Speaker 5: Okay, here we go. First one I've gone with bet.
[47:12] Speaker 2: Can we use it? Can you use it in context
[47:14] Speaker 2: in a sentence?
[47:17] Speaker 5: No? No, you probably could use it in sor right?
[47:21] Speaker 5: Can you going?
[47:21] Speaker 3: It's more like if I said to Jack, you know,
[47:25] Speaker 3: oh yah YadA, we're doing this. We're doing this tomorrow,
[47:28] Speaker 3: and then you would.
[47:29] Speaker 1: Just say bet ah you bet you.
[47:33] Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, I'll give you that, but for sure one
[47:37] Speaker 5: hundred percent agree.
[47:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you.
[47:40] Speaker 3: Look at that. Look at that, it's like a green Yeah.
[47:45] Speaker 1: I've actually taken it to the next level.
[47:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, trash talk, but.
[47:49] Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, here we go. Next one I've got is drip.
[47:56] Speaker 5: What does drip mean?
[47:58] Speaker 2: Well, in my day, it used to mean you're a
[48:02] Speaker 2: real drip, you're a real loser, an idiot.
[48:04] Speaker 3: Oh is that what drip was?
[48:05] Speaker 1: Yeah? Drip? Yeah, was an idiot?
[48:09] Speaker 5: Cooper, can you I'll have it, I using the sentence please.
[48:12] Speaker 5: You've got drip?
[48:13] Speaker 1: Is that right?
[48:14] Speaker 5: Good?
[48:14] Speaker 2: You've got style?
[48:16] Speaker 1: Ah?
[48:17] Speaker 5: Class, Yes, someone's fashional style prician Chris John's one each, Cooper?
[48:22] Speaker 5: You keeping score here, my friend?
[48:23] Speaker 3: Yeah, there's one each. So Dad, you got like that shirtless?
[48:26] Speaker 3: Could on you? Like real drip. They can also use
[48:28] Speaker 3: it in context of he's drippy, like he's he's using.
[48:32] Speaker 5: Yeah, so this is for yeah, if you've got kids
[48:36] Speaker 5: and stuff like that. Now you're know what they're going
[48:37] Speaker 5: to say. Now. The next one question I've got is froth. Yeah,
[48:44] Speaker 5: that's a pretty easy one. That's a that's a pretty.
[48:46] Speaker 5: That's a that's been around for a while.
[48:47] Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Trica used to be engaged to a surfer.
[48:49] Speaker 3: He was froughing.
[48:50] Speaker 5: True, true that every other week he was surfing out
[48:55] Speaker 5: the back and a frothy and having a little wolfy
[48:57] Speaker 5: in the in the sand behind him. It's a wolf.
[49:00] Speaker 5: I believe that's a wolf's surf linger for taking a
[49:03] Speaker 5: ship is lovely.
[49:06] Speaker 1: That's another that it was like having a cane.
[49:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, sort of.
[49:10] Speaker 3: Did he do that as well?
[49:11] Speaker 1: No, I don't believe there was a professional surfer once
[49:13] Speaker 1: upon a time that me and Joey said made he
[49:14] Speaker 1: started sort of knocking around the gym a little bit.
[49:16] Speaker 1: Then we're like, oh mate, he said, I love you
[49:18] Speaker 1: blakes for train me. We can train You'll meet you
[49:20] Speaker 1: down the park and do some hundreds. He turned up
[49:22] Speaker 1: and made he had a joint in his hand, so
[49:24] Speaker 1: he said, probably defeating the purpose.
[49:28] Speaker 5: Okay, here we go. Now the next one is so
[49:30] Speaker 5: that's to wonder trush if I'm okay. Next one is
[49:35] Speaker 5: cap or no cap? Cap or no cap correct or not?
[49:40] Speaker 2: What's we've sort of isn't that truth or lie?
[49:47] Speaker 3: Yeah or no lie?
[49:49] Speaker 2: That was the game we used to play remember.
[49:52] Speaker 5: Yeah, cap or fact or cap three one? Trus John's
[49:56] Speaker 5: doing well here.
[49:57] Speaker 3: Okay, Dad was kind of right, he said correct or
[50:00] Speaker 3: not correct, but Trius is probably more accurate.
[50:02] Speaker 1: Okay, okay.
[50:03] Speaker 5: Next one is yeat? What is it yat?
[50:09] Speaker 3: I don't even I don't even know.
[50:11] Speaker 5: This is yeah? Like sweet or do you want an example? Sorry? Okay?
[50:23] Speaker 5: Pretty much?
[50:23] Speaker 2: It's like, is it yeats?
[50:27] Speaker 5: I use this in the sentence. I don't even know.
[50:29] Speaker 5: I'm even out of this demographic like yeats.
[50:38] Speaker 1: The poeta.
[50:39] Speaker 5: No, yeah, I don't even know how to use this sentence.
[50:43] Speaker 3: Just have a crack of what you think, because I'm.
[50:45] Speaker 2: A jack of explain, I reckon like it's excitement. It's
[50:48] Speaker 2: like sweet, great.
[50:50] Speaker 3: That's a good gas. Actually, yeah, what do you think daddy?
[50:53] Speaker 1: Yat? Delicious food?
[50:56] Speaker 3: It's okay.
[50:57] Speaker 5: It's classified as either to throw something thing or express excitement.
[51:02] Speaker 5: So I'm going to give you that because.
[51:04] Speaker 3: I've heard I've heard people just yell out randomly like you,
[51:07] Speaker 3: but I don't know what it means.
[51:09] Speaker 5: All right, I'm going the next two are going to
[51:10] Speaker 5: be double or nothing.
[51:11] Speaker 1: So Matthew the English language, Come on, guys.
[51:13] Speaker 5: Matthew, is a chance he makes up.
[51:16] Speaker 3: Who starts those bloody kids and these.
[51:22] Speaker 2: A lot of old people.
[51:23] Speaker 1: You come on with one next week we'll see which
[51:25] Speaker 1: one can.
[51:25] Speaker 5: Okay, last two double double points because tricias on four.
[51:28] Speaker 2: I believe on three and that's on two.
[51:31] Speaker 5: Okay, well Matthew, oh okay, okay, we're on there. Okay, sweet,
[51:35] Speaker 5: that just threw me off. Spend a great day today.
[51:40] Speaker 1: Stay in the moment.
[51:42] Speaker 3: Don't lose your head.
[51:43] Speaker 5: Okay. Next one is slaps poker machine. Neither of you
[51:52] Speaker 5: run really good slaps.
[51:54] Speaker 3: It's like really good.
[51:55] Speaker 5: I just told you.
[51:56] Speaker 3: It's like Jack would be like that slaps like this
[51:59] Speaker 3: food that slaps. Yeah, slap.
[52:03] Speaker 5: So no points. Now it's a tied up Matthew or
[52:05] Speaker 5: Trish to win it.
[52:05] Speaker 3: You've got.
[52:06] Speaker 5: The last word is send it or worth.
[52:13] Speaker 2: Send it?
[52:14] Speaker 5: Send it, send it.
[52:17] Speaker 2: I think that feels like it's another like like brilliant genius.
[52:22] Speaker 2: That's awesome.
[52:23] Speaker 1: I'd say get it out there yet to send it,
[52:28] Speaker 1: like you know, you get there and say mate, you
[52:30] Speaker 1: know I've got this, and I say, man, send it in,
[52:32] Speaker 1: get it out there's go for it. Go for it.
[52:35] Speaker 5: Like certainly if you're like if you're working in like
[52:37] Speaker 5: a mail room, maybe like send.
[52:38] Speaker 1: It out that in that context, you send it, you know,
[52:42] Speaker 1: someone wants you know, I think.
[52:44] Speaker 2: I think it's more mine. It's like awesome, that's great, awesome.
[52:49] Speaker 5: It means go all out, no hesitation, let's send it,
[52:52] Speaker 5: let's send it. You hear people say when they're about
[52:54] Speaker 5: to go on the drink.
[52:55] Speaker 1: I don't think that was that wrong.
[52:56] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's mainly used in that context of like like
[52:59] Speaker 3: you're about let's get let's go and send it.
[53:01] Speaker 1: Let's go, let's let's let's do this.
[53:03] Speaker 3: Yeah, great segment. Let's give him around pause because.
[53:09] Speaker 1: All's well, that ends.
[53:10] Speaker 3: Well, I'm the only one clapping.
[53:12] Speaker 2: Brilliant, Okay, I've got a little bit of something to
[53:14] Speaker 2: teach you. One of my listeners sent this. Have you
[53:17] Speaker 2: has anyone ever thought of why restaurants rated Michelin stuff?
[53:24] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[53:24] Speaker 5: Because Michelin the brand? Is it the tie ram Yah? Yeah,
[53:28] Speaker 5: they were influencing people to go cross country with their
[53:32] Speaker 5: wheels and they and they designed it so people would
[53:36] Speaker 5: go into small towns throughout Europe. I believe, more.
[53:39] Speaker 2: Perals in France, particularly.
[53:41] Speaker 5: So they could wear their tires and then get more business.
[53:45] Speaker 3: Right now, let's actually give him a non sarcastic round
[53:49] Speaker 3: of a pause.
[53:49] Speaker 2: So that's right, Edouard and Andre Michelin. Because people in
[53:53] Speaker 2: the early nineteen hundreds there was only like two thousand,
[53:56] Speaker 2: two hundred cars in France owned predominantly by the wealthy.
[53:59] Speaker 2: So then they out of creating these maps with all
[54:02] Speaker 2: different locations on them, and they particularly rated restaurants, and
[54:07] Speaker 2: then they started with the stars, one meaning worth visiting,
[54:13] Speaker 2: two stars was worth a detour, and threes were freestart
[54:17] Speaker 2: was worth a separate journey, like a specific joke to
[54:21] Speaker 2: get people on the road. Mall interesting, an interesting market.
[54:25] Speaker 1: Who would like to hear another tire story?
[54:29] Speaker 3: Wow, I loves and I like to see.
[54:32] Speaker 1: Henry Ford for the Ford Motor Company he was building.
[54:35] Speaker 1: He was building the cars, of course around the ninety
[54:38] Speaker 1: forties fifties. Anyway, he was producing so many cars that
[54:42] Speaker 1: he was actually buying his rubber from the rubber plantations
[54:44] Speaker 1: and different places around South America and whatnot. Then he
[54:47] Speaker 1: finally came up the idea, why am I buying the
[54:49] Speaker 1: rubber just I'm going to build. I'm going to build
[54:52] Speaker 1: my own rubber plantations. So he built a city just
[54:55] Speaker 1: sitting basically in the Amazon region, of Brazil and it's
[54:59] Speaker 1: still there. It's called land However, what it did the
[55:03] Speaker 1: first ever crop of rubber trees he put in. They
[55:05] Speaker 1: got a virus and they all died, and so everybody
[55:08] Speaker 1: just abandoned the town. Come from a plant Yeah yeah,
[55:12] Speaker 1: rubbit plantations.
[55:13] Speaker 3: Well I didn't know that.
[55:14] Speaker 1: I thought it was I thought it was like tree
[55:16] Speaker 1: b it is it's like yeah, yeah, yeah, but it's yeah,
[55:20] Speaker 1: it's a it's plantations. They got in there. So Henry
[55:23] Speaker 1: Ford just started his own this big town where all
[55:26] Speaker 1: the workers and it was just all about the rub plantations.
[55:28] Speaker 1: But they failed.
[55:29] Speaker 2: Does it exist now?
[55:31] Speaker 1: Nobody lives there. It's a ghost. It's a ghost town,
[55:35] Speaker 1: Henry Ford, Ford Landier. So people who want to have
[55:39] Speaker 1: a look type it in Ford Landier images and there
[55:42] Speaker 1: it is still sitting there.
[55:43] Speaker 3: Wow, that's good. That's actually the best part of the party.
[55:47] Speaker 3: You've had to what are we going to want?
[55:50] Speaker 2: I was going to say, are we allowed to pick
[55:53] Speaker 2: some winners for this weekend?
[55:55] Speaker 3: If yeah, I was going to do one last thing
[55:57] Speaker 3: to round it up, but.
[56:00] Speaker 2: Not, Okay, So who we got We've got storm, Storm
[56:03] Speaker 2: and Cronulla. I'm going storm.
[56:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going Storm dud.
[56:09] Speaker 1: Leaning to Storm, but as we're recording this, we're unsure
[56:12] Speaker 1: if Jerome Hughes will play or not. Jerome Jerome Hughes plays,
[56:17] Speaker 1: I'm going to go Storm if he doesn't, Jack, I.
[56:21] Speaker 5: Think we're going for a Penrith storm grand finally again.
[56:24] Speaker 3: Oh wow, And then I'm going I think I'm going
[56:28] Speaker 3: to take Broncos in that Penrith Broncos game Hard one.
[56:32] Speaker 1: I'm going Penrith from the moment Penrith got themselves in
[56:35] Speaker 1: the eight that might pick to win the camp again.
[56:37] Speaker 2: You have said that, I'm going to go Broncos as well.
[56:39] Speaker 3: And then Jack Penrith. Okay, what we're going to do
[56:44] Speaker 3: to finish, guys, Because it's been an off one today.
[56:48] Speaker 1: Now, I think I think it's only because we're here once.
[56:50] Speaker 1: Once it gets edited up, I think people will really
[56:52] Speaker 1: like the episode. I think some people don't want to
[56:56] Speaker 1: hear the same thing with all this all the time.
[56:58] Speaker 1: You gonta understand, mate, We're a family. That's why this
[57:00] Speaker 1: podcast is real. Because we've turned up here today, I'm
[57:03] Speaker 1: in a bad mood. I'm really tired, right.
[57:06] Speaker 3: Your mood effect to put Jack in a bad mood.
[57:08] Speaker 3: There was a little bit of a ten minute period
[57:10] Speaker 3: where Jack and Dad may have had some words, not
[57:13] Speaker 3: overly aggressive words. It was more like just a little
[57:17] Speaker 3: bit of a conversation, honest conversation, some hard truths from
[57:20] Speaker 3: both men.
[57:21] Speaker 2: Thank God for you.
[57:22] Speaker 1: And one more thing too that put us off is
[57:25] Speaker 1: next door, they're doing a bit of gardening and they've
[57:27] Speaker 1: put the dynamic lifter in there, and the smell of shit,
[57:30] Speaker 1: the smell of chicken shit has just basically infiltrated our studio.
[57:35] Speaker 5: I might even trouble at the start of the episodes
[57:38] Speaker 5: that people have context.
[57:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not a bad idea.
[57:41] Speaker 3: Well, that's every great story starts at the end, flashing
[57:44] Speaker 3: back to the starts slowly, having time lapses till the end. Again.
[57:48] Speaker 3: I just wanted to do one exercise before we left.
[57:50] Speaker 3: I wanted to rate everyone that performs out of one
[57:54] Speaker 3: hundred as an accountability thing, so next week they can
[57:56] Speaker 3: strive to be better. Should we start with Trish? I
[58:00] Speaker 3: think we I've got Trish d about it. I think
[58:04] Speaker 3: this has been one of her best performs with the
[58:06] Speaker 3: I'd say probably in eighty three, yeah, eighty.
[58:09] Speaker 1: Four, Yeah, what do you do now?
[58:11] Speaker 3: I give it mid eighties mid eighties. So let's say
[58:13] Speaker 3: eighty four for you today.
[58:16] Speaker 1: Jack.
[58:16] Speaker 3: Do you want to go to Jack?
[58:17] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[58:17] Speaker 3: Jack, what do you think that?
[58:19] Speaker 1: Look he had a couple of meltsdowns, but look he's
[58:21] Speaker 1: done second. He's doing three or four things at once.
[58:25] Speaker 1: So I'm going to give him an eighty because you know,
[58:27] Speaker 1: as far as I can understand his.
[58:28] Speaker 5: Frustation power to the man that's editing. He knows I
[58:31] Speaker 5: can make him look bad. Mate.
[58:34] Speaker 2: He does make me look bad every week on those
[58:36] Speaker 2: little thumbnails with shitty faces. You're getting sixty five from.
[58:39] Speaker 5: Me, Jack.
[58:40] Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, dad said eighty. I'll give him a seventy. Yeah,
[58:44] Speaker 3: I do a job. There were a couple of stories
[58:46] Speaker 3: that had to be respoken.
[58:48] Speaker 1: You're right, I'll lower seventy one.
[58:50] Speaker 3: Yeah, let's let's call it seventy because, yeah, there were
[58:53] Speaker 3: a couple of times where you lost train of thought
[58:55] Speaker 3: and rather just than just move on, you said, oh,
[58:58] Speaker 3: I'm going to edit this out.
[58:59] Speaker 5: This is shit. Stop.
[59:02] Speaker 2: At least he's smiling now, So you know what, I'm
[59:03] Speaker 2: going to give you an extra five points.
[59:05] Speaker 1: I'll take you a second and listen, just to try
[59:07] Speaker 1: to save face a little bit and probably lift my score.
[59:10] Speaker 1: I have no problem. I have no problem if you
[59:12] Speaker 1: put my melt down into I have no problem where
[59:19] Speaker 1: I've gone. Hey, hey, everyone just.
[59:22] Speaker 2: Shut up for a second.
[59:23] Speaker 3: That's it, don't poke the bear. Dad goes, Okay, I'm
[59:27] Speaker 3: sick of talking to this house and everyone interrupts me.
[59:30] Speaker 3: I have had a big year. I am created it out.
[59:34] Speaker 3: I'm sitting here, I'm tired, I'm in a bad mood.
[59:38] Speaker 3: But look i'm here. Let's rate him while we're on him.
[59:41] Speaker 3: I've got dad. If Jackson seventy, trishas and eighty four,
[59:44] Speaker 3: I probably have Dad at a sixty.
[59:47] Speaker 1: Item being kind, okay, i'll go I'll probably reality right
[59:52] Speaker 1: in comparison to what your hundred yearsually is, i'd probably
[59:54] Speaker 1: go thirty eight.
[59:55] Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I started you at forty, but you've come
[59:58] Speaker 2: up to about a sixty eight. Are right, I'm good
[1:00:01] Speaker 2: and see I reward that.
[1:00:03] Speaker 1: And my nemesis today, Richard, that is I must say
[1:00:12] Speaker 1: I've never sat and watched Rick and Morty. I get
[1:00:14] Speaker 1: it now. It is fantastic.
[1:00:16] Speaker 3: Yeah, I sat there.
[1:00:17] Speaker 5: We sat there after having a couple of beers on
[1:00:19] Speaker 5: was it Friday night? Yeah, we're with the Rasman with
[1:00:21] Speaker 5: the rasmen on Friday night and the rasmun Goes put
[1:00:23] Speaker 5: some Rick and Morty on and Dad was dreading it
[1:00:25] Speaker 5: and then he got there and we watched the episode
[1:00:28] Speaker 5: with mister Nimbus introduce my god. Matthew was pissing himself
[1:00:31] Speaker 5: laughing Dad.
[1:00:32] Speaker 3: And for those people haven't seen it, miss mister Nimbus
[1:00:34] Speaker 3: is this character who's like the king of the ocean.
[1:00:36] Speaker 3: I don't know where they come up with their storylines.
[1:00:39] Speaker 3: It's amazing. But Dad was sitting there and we had
[1:00:41] Speaker 3: a couple of drinks, so we're like well hydrated and
[1:00:43] Speaker 3: probably like we had a bit of baby brain on
[1:00:46] Speaker 3: where we're giggling at everything. Dad said, and I quote,
[1:00:49] Speaker 3: this is the most clever piece of writing I have
[1:00:52] Speaker 3: ever witnessed in my life.
[1:00:53] Speaker 1: It is.
[1:00:54] Speaker 3: It was.
[1:00:54] Speaker 1: It is so clever the way twists and turns. And
[1:00:56] Speaker 1: I've been so obsessed with Rick and Morty. I went
[1:00:59] Speaker 1: on Wicked and learn a lot more about it, and Mate,
[1:01:01] Speaker 1: I love the Rundown again.
[1:01:04] Speaker 5: Could you read it out? Could you read it?
[1:01:06] Speaker 1: Yes, mister Nimbus. I decided to basically dig up a
[1:01:10] Speaker 1: little bit of reading about it because he's impressed me
[1:01:12] Speaker 1: so much. It says Nimbus possesses hydrokinetic abilities and can
[1:01:19] Speaker 1: control the police, allowing him to bring terrestrial conflicts into
[1:01:24] Speaker 1: his oceanic domain. His personality is flamboyant, arrogant, and aggressively bisexual,
[1:01:31] Speaker 1: with a fondness for pelvic thrust and constantly referring himself
[1:01:36] Speaker 1: in the third person.
[1:01:39] Speaker 3: He does love pelvic thrust one stage because he can
[1:01:43] Speaker 3: control the police. In one stage, he makes the police fight,
[1:01:45] Speaker 3: then make love, and then flee. That's so funny.
[1:01:49] Speaker 1: On that note, mister Nimbus, take a bow.
[1:01:51] Speaker 3: Yeah. Great episode.
