## Transcript

[0:00] Speaker 1: Right here on the Cooper and Matty Johns podcast.
[0:03] Speaker 2: Right here, right now.
[0:07] Speaker 3: Welcome back to another week of the John Slaby podcast.
[0:09] Speaker 3: We're back in studio. Everyone's back. I hope everyone enjoyed
[0:12] Speaker 3: some of our overseas episodes and some of our pre-recorded
[0:15] Speaker 3: stuff on the Monday for backstage. It is Halloween, so
[0:19] Speaker 3: we have all come dressed in a certain theme. My
[0:22] Speaker 3: question to you is, Dad, who are you?
[0:25] Speaker 2: I'm Trish. I just like... This is a little flashback
[0:30] Speaker 2: to what Trish back in the day when we first
[0:31] Speaker 2: started going out. She would wear that? Yes.
[0:35] Speaker 1: They are my swimmers.
[0:36] Speaker 2: I will say, just put it out there for the
[0:38] Speaker 2: listeners or the people on YouTube. Just send it in
[0:41] Speaker 2: at what would you like to do to me? Would you?
[0:44] Speaker 2: Would you, guys? Would you?
[0:46] Speaker 3: For the people who are listening as well, you've got
[0:48] Speaker 3: a pair of skins on and then you've got mum's bikini.
[0:53] Speaker 2: An old bikini.
[0:54] Speaker 1: Obviously, if son ever will be wearing that again.
[0:56] Speaker 3: Are you going to take– you know what?
[0:58] Speaker 4: Whoops.
[0:59] Speaker 1: Oh, he's dropping clothes.
[1:00] Speaker 3: It's giving a lot of Reg Reagan back in the day.
[1:04] Speaker 3: You used to do a lot of, like, shirtless, semi-nude
[1:07] Speaker 3: skits back in the day.
[1:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
[1:09] Speaker 1: Not Reggie.
[1:10] Speaker 2: It was all the go.
[1:10] Speaker 3: I feel like the footy show used it a lot.
[1:12] Speaker 2: Oh, they did with the footy show, but not as Reg.
[1:14] Speaker 4: Can I just say, too, with the camera, I don't
[1:16] Speaker 4: know what the Zoom's doing, but Cooper looks awfully small
[1:19] Speaker 4: compared to Matthews, overly large, where in real life, Cooper,
[1:23] Speaker 4: what's the real story?
[1:24] Speaker 3: His body?
[1:26] Speaker 2: No, no, talking about the old.
[1:27] Speaker 4: No, the ratio size to ratio. You're generally larger than Matthew,
[1:31] Speaker 4: I'd say.
[1:32] Speaker 2: In what?
[1:33] Speaker 3: In what aspect? It sounds like you're talking about our dicks, Jack.
[1:36] Speaker 2: Oh, sorry.
[1:37] Speaker 3: Is that what you were talking about?
[1:39] Speaker 4: No, I was just talking about size in general. Matthew
[1:41] Speaker 4: looks like an absolute tank right.
[1:42] Speaker 2: Now on camera.
[1:43] Speaker 1: Well, he should wear a bikini more often.
[1:46] Speaker 3: Dad works out three times a week. That's a lot.
[1:48] Speaker 1: He works out twice a day.
[1:49] Speaker 4: I don't.
[1:50] Speaker 2: Just stop it.
[1:51] Speaker 1: And he's got a wig on.
[1:52] Speaker 4: But Cuba puts his body through more physical punishment, I'd say.
[1:55] Speaker 3: That's true.
[1:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's only internally.
[1:57] Speaker 3: Dad's got muscles on the outside, but my liver and stuff,
[2:01] Speaker 3: they've got real muscle.
[2:02] Speaker 1: Cuba, who are you? I think I know.
[2:05] Speaker 3: Have a guess.
[2:05] Speaker 2: Cristiano Ronaldo.
[2:06] Speaker 1: No, he's David Beckham.
[2:09] Speaker 2: No.
[2:09] Speaker 3: Jack?
[2:10] Speaker 4: You're Victoria Beckham.
[2:12] Speaker 3: Sam Walker.
[2:13] Speaker 4: No, no.
[2:14] Speaker 3: At his new club, the only club that will pay
[2:17] Speaker 3: $ 11 million for him.
[2:18] Speaker 4: What?
[2:19] Speaker 3: David Beckham.
[2:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought so.
[2:20] Speaker 2: I was right.
[2:21] Speaker 3: Of course.
[2:22] Speaker 2: I like David Beckham. I'm posh. There you go. Cool.
[2:25] Speaker 2: Kiss me.
[2:25] Speaker 3: Did you say you don't like David Beckham?
[2:27] Speaker 2: No, I quite like him. I think he's a very
[2:29] Speaker 2: nice guy. He looks a very nice guy.
[2:31] Speaker 4: He is, yeah.
[2:31] Speaker 1: I've heard only good things about him.
[2:33] Speaker 4: I don't know. Without him, I look like someone who
[2:34] Speaker 4: might be related to some sort of files.
[2:38] Speaker 2: I'm James Gunn.
[2:40] Speaker 3: You are scary. Trish, you're a devil?
[2:42] Speaker 1: What a little devil. I was meant to be a nun, ironically,
[2:45] Speaker 1: but my costume hasn't turned up.
[2:47] Speaker 3: Devastating. And you were the one that drove this. You
[2:49] Speaker 3: were so excited for it.
[2:50] Speaker 1: I was so excited. I was going to be a
[2:51] Speaker 1: scary nun. That'll just have to wait for Halloween night.
[2:53] Speaker 2: Whoops.
[2:55] Speaker 1: Oh, nipple.
[2:56] Speaker 3: You've got a PSG jersey on, Jack. Who are you?
[2:58] Speaker 4: I'm Neymar.
[3:01] Speaker 1: That's a nice shirt. Where did you get that?
[3:03] Speaker 4: Ibrahimovic. I got it at the PSG store. It was
[3:06] Speaker 4: one of the only things that didn't get looted, apparently.
[3:08] Speaker 1: So it's very unpopular.
[3:09] Speaker 3: There's nothing left.
[3:10] Speaker 2: Thanks. Is that right?
[3:12] Speaker 4: It's a stat, but yeah, fair enough.
[3:14] Speaker 2: No, but the retro stuff is just– it's always been
[3:17] Speaker 2: pretty big, but at the moment in Europe, the big
[3:18] Speaker 2: European clubs, it's just massive. I was talking to the
[3:23] Speaker 2: guy in the Adidas store there on the Champs-Élysées, which
[3:26] Speaker 2: he told me when we first got there, it was
[3:28] Speaker 2: shut for five days. Every Adidas store in France because
[3:32] Speaker 2: of the looting that was going on.
[3:33] Speaker 1: Are we going to talk about Paris?
[3:36] Speaker 3: Yeah, we're doing it right now.
[3:37] Speaker 4: Sure. Yeah. No, no, wait, wait, wait, pause. Let's talk
[3:40] Speaker 4: about Paris.
[3:41] Speaker 2: Okay.
[3:42] Speaker 1: So we actually arrived literally the day after the first
[3:45] Speaker 1: lot of Saturday riots to like smoking cars had been
[3:50] Speaker 1: burned out, smashed windows. It was heavy.
[3:53] Speaker 2: Yeah, it was.
[3:54] Speaker 1: Because my first thing was I got out in the
[3:55] Speaker 1: street before Matt and I was sitting there at a cafe,
[3:59] Speaker 1: just families were out, Old people with their walking slips
[4:03] Speaker 1: are out. They weren't going to be deterred. Obviously locals.
[4:06] Speaker 4: I thought that was interesting.
[4:07] Speaker 3: I suppose when you're overseas, it's hard to know. Like
[4:09] Speaker 3: you're there and you think, oh, does this just happen
[4:11] Speaker 3: all the time? But a lot of Aussies, when we
[4:12] Speaker 3: started putting– people saw we were in Paris, a lot
[4:15] Speaker 3: of people were reaching out. It must have been all
[4:16] Speaker 3: over the news here in Australia as well. And some
[4:18] Speaker 3: of the scenes that you'd see on social media, like
[4:21] Speaker 3: just young guys– like everything on fire, blokes just destroying
[4:26] Speaker 3: stores and looting everything.
[4:27] Speaker 1: Which would have happened the day before because we were
[4:29] Speaker 1: in that area.
[4:30] Speaker 2: We saw a little bit of it. Like you don't know,
[4:33] Speaker 2: this is the scary thing, you don't know when you
[4:34] Speaker 2: get into the middle of it. You can turn around
[4:36] Speaker 2: a corner, suddenly you're in the middle. Actually Cooper and I,
[4:39] Speaker 2: the first night we were going to get some dinner,
[4:41] Speaker 2: we went around a corner and suddenly 30 armed guard
[4:44] Speaker 2: just came sprinting past.
[4:45] Speaker 3: They had right shields and shit and they were running
[4:47] Speaker 3: at us.
[4:48] Speaker 1: And there was a number of times.
[4:49] Speaker 3: And I turned to Dad and I said, What have
[4:51] Speaker 3: you done? We're going to have to– and Dad had
[4:52] Speaker 3: already bolted 50 metres.
[4:54] Speaker 4: Down the– That's a joke.
[4:55] Speaker 2: I pulled out my nunchucks.
[4:57] Speaker 3: He pulled them out of his ass?
[4:58] Speaker 1: I'm surprised he could get them through customs.
[5:01] Speaker 2: I bought them there. But do you know the thing?
[5:03] Speaker 2: The thing about this were the rights. The start of
[5:07] Speaker 2: the rights– I'm sorry. It started as protests, and they
[5:11] Speaker 2: started for a really noble cause, the price of living
[5:13] Speaker 2: and where the tax is going to against Macron. And
[5:18] Speaker 2: I thought that was a really noble cause, and I
[5:19] Speaker 2: thought that Originally, a lot of the people who did protest,
[5:23] Speaker 2: I thought, you know, good for them. Now, it degenerated
[5:26] Speaker 2: into riots.
[5:27] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[5:27] Speaker 2: Now, they were smashing up stores. Now, if you want
[5:30] Speaker 2: to make a statement and you, you know, basically, you know,
[5:34] Speaker 2: you damaged the front of a store in Cartier or Dior,
[5:37] Speaker 2: it's not great.
[5:38] Speaker 1: So, I copped it.
[5:39] Speaker 2: But I get the statement. But to see... Fruit stores,
[5:44] Speaker 2: like fruit stores.
[5:45] Speaker 4: Family-run businesses.
[5:46] Speaker 2: Family-run businesses smashed and looted. Yeah. You cannot tell me
[5:50] Speaker 2: they're students.
[5:50] Speaker 3: No.
[5:51] Speaker 4: They're not.
[5:51] Speaker 1: They're just thugs and thieves. And, I mean, you know,
[5:53] Speaker 1: they looted the Adidas stores and the Salomon shoe stores.
[5:58] Speaker 3: Salomon, yeah.
[5:59] Speaker 1: It was– I walked by it. The front door was
[6:01] Speaker 1: absolutely smashed. There was a security guard in it. This
[6:04] Speaker 1: was the next day. It was totally empty. But around
[6:07] Speaker 1: the corner were all these empty Salomon shoe boxes.
[6:10] Speaker 4: Yeah. Salamander.
[6:11] Speaker 1: So they're just– No, I'm just going to start it now. Okay,
[6:16] Speaker 1: from now on, if anything ridiculous, stupid or long-winded goes on.
[6:21] Speaker 3: Were you doing that to yourself?
[6:22] Speaker 1: No, I'm doing that. Jack, salamander, not necessary.
[6:26] Speaker 3: Yeah, Jack, we don't need Pokemon references in here.
[6:28] Speaker 4: No, I said salamander.
[6:30] Speaker 3: It's not a Pokemon.
[6:31] Speaker 2: Who's that?
[6:32] Speaker 4: Who's salamander?
[6:33] Speaker 2: That's a town in Port Stephens.
[6:36] Speaker 1: Anyway, these protesters, I don't think they're shoe thieves. You
[6:42] Speaker 1: know what I mean? So the true protesters.
[6:44] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[6:45] Speaker 3: Well, they just want shoes.
[6:46] Speaker 2: You might have a shoe fetish, like Woogie.
[6:48] Speaker 3: I do love, like Trish, you've almost tried to paint
[6:52] Speaker 3: yourself as the foreign correspondent.
[6:54] Speaker 1: Thank you, Cooper.
[6:55] Speaker 3: All you saw was the damage and the aftermath of it.
[6:57] Speaker 3: You were going, oh, I've got an interview tonight. Yeah,
[7:00] Speaker 3: I'm doing a cross. And then we're at the front
[7:02] Speaker 3: of the Louvre. And a journalist for the popular newspaper
[7:05] Speaker 3: over there.
[7:06] Speaker 1: Il Figaro.
[7:06] Speaker 2: Il Figaro.
[7:07] Speaker 3: Il Figaro. He come up and he said, oh, do
[7:09] Speaker 3: you want to make a statement? Yeah, I do actually.
[7:12] Speaker 3: And after like 10 minutes, I was just shaking my head.
[7:13] Speaker 3: Trish goes, what? I said, Trish. Ron Holler, do you
[7:16] Speaker 3: really need to spend that long telling some journalist who's
[7:19] Speaker 3: just typing your quotes into his phone notes? And he's
[7:22] Speaker 3: probably not even going to quote you.
[7:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think so.
[7:24] Speaker 2: No, I'll get the newspaper the next day. Unfortunately, there
[7:26] Speaker 2: was no picture of the quotes.
[7:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, but then he asked for my name.
[7:30] Speaker 3: He asked for her name.
[7:31] Speaker 1: And I gave him my real name. Cooper was mortified.
[7:34] Speaker 2: Well, imagine the gangs if they read it. You know,
[7:36] Speaker 2: all of a sudden they turn up here at Collaroy.
[7:38] Speaker 2: I mean, they'd get theirs here at Collaroy. They wouldn't
[7:40] Speaker 2: get through here. 2097 represent.
[7:42] Speaker 3: They think looting in Paris is tough. You wait until
[7:44] Speaker 3: you come to Colorado.
[7:45] Speaker 2: That's right.
[7:45] Speaker 3: We've got crazy shit.
[7:46] Speaker 2: You try to loot down at Alimentos, you're dealing with Mario.
[7:48] Speaker 3: We've got sharks, Alimentos, and perverts.
[7:52] Speaker 1: And Marty.
[7:53] Speaker 3: Yeah, and Marty.
[7:53] Speaker 2: He's all of the above. And he's gobs. Actually, all
[7:56] Speaker 2: of the above. Another one.
[7:57] Speaker 3: He's a pervert.
[7:59] Speaker 2: Stop it.
[8:00] Speaker 4: No, he is.
[8:01] Speaker 3: All of our troops were very, very different.
[8:03] Speaker 1: Didn't we have contrasting once we all went our own
[8:05] Speaker 1: separate ways? Cooper, what would you classify your attack?
[8:08] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yep, sorry. What? I was just going to look
[8:11] Speaker 2: at the … Harmonica? The harmonica.
[8:14] Speaker 3: For who? Trish.
[8:15] Speaker 2: She's jumped over the top of you there.
[8:16] Speaker 3: She does jump over the top. That's okay. I don't
[8:18] Speaker 3: mind it every now and then because it's an audio platform, right, Trish?
[8:21] Speaker 3: And you've had over 40 years of experience in that platform, Trish.
[8:25] Speaker 3: You're doing a great job.
[8:25] Speaker 2: Talking too much.
[8:26] Speaker 4: Talking over?
[8:27] Speaker 3: Talking over. I went to Dublin and Amsterdam. They were
[8:31] Speaker 3: the two most … I went to a Liverpool game.
[8:33] Speaker 3: I think we said that on our last family podcast
[8:35] Speaker 3: leading in. Dublin … is my new favourite place on Earth.
[8:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty cool.
[8:39] Speaker 3: I think it's the best trip I've ever done. Only
[8:41] Speaker 3: two nights in there.
[8:42] Speaker 1: But, Coopsy, you only did a pub crawl, essentially, through Dublin,
[8:46] Speaker 1: then on to Amsterdam.
[8:47] Speaker 2: To be honest, when you go to Paris, you take
[8:50] Speaker 2: in the sights, you take.
[8:51] Speaker 4: In the Louvre.
[8:52] Speaker 2: The Louvre.
[8:53] Speaker 1: The Louvre.
[8:54] Speaker 2: We'll talk about that later. When you go to Dublin... Mate,
[8:59] Speaker 2: the number one tourist attraction are the pubs and drinking.
[9:01] Speaker 4: It literally is. It is.
[9:02] Speaker 1: Tell me about the Guinness Factory.
[9:04] Speaker 2: Let's talk about the pubs first.
[9:05] Speaker 3: Guinness Factory was good. Well, first off, we stayed– so
[9:08] Speaker 3: Razman booked it. He booked a hostel. Look, Razman loves
[9:13] Speaker 3: to slum it, like loves to– but his key thing
[9:15] Speaker 3: is like get everyone– it was basically a school dorm,
[9:18] Speaker 3: one bathroom, six bunk beds, all in this hostel.
[9:21] Speaker 2: Isn't it ironic that his dad ran luxury hotels? He
[9:24] Speaker 2: loves slumming it.
[9:25] Speaker 3: Loves slumming it. Absolutely loves it. Can you stop touching those?
[9:28] Speaker 3: What are you doing? Why? Oh, no, the audio was
[9:30] Speaker 3: coming through on my mic.
[9:31] Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry.
[9:32] Speaker 3: You're all right.
[9:32] Speaker 1: I think it comes through on your headphones.
[9:34] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, which is going through the mic.
[9:36] Speaker 4: To be fair, that sounds like a decent hostel, all
[9:38] Speaker 4: those facilities. I've seen ones that have nothing.
[9:41] Speaker 3: Yeah, but then from there– What Dave was saying about
[9:44] Speaker 3: the pubs in Guinness, literally all there is to do
[9:46] Speaker 3: is drink there, right? I messaged our great friend Brian
[9:49] Speaker 3: Carney and I said, any recommendations for Dublin? He just
[9:51] Speaker 3: sent through 13 different pubs you should have a pint.
[9:53] Speaker 2: Of Guinness at.
[9:54] Speaker 3: We jumped in an Uber at one stage. We'll go
[9:56] Speaker 3: into this pub called the Grave Diggers.
[9:58] Speaker 1: Oh, is that where they have- good music?
[10:01] Speaker 3: No, not at all. Is that harmonica working? And we
[10:05] Speaker 3: went to the Grave Diggers. Now, it's in the graveyard.
[10:07] Speaker 3: They call it the Grave Diggers because there was just
[10:09] Speaker 3: a hole in the wall. And for all the people
[10:11] Speaker 3: who were digging the graves in their break, they would
[10:13] Speaker 3: put a pint of Guinness through and they'd just put
[10:15] Speaker 3: that thing in, like almost like a little coffee hole
[10:17] Speaker 3: in the wall. Now they've turned it into a full
[10:19] Speaker 3: tourist attraction. It's a big pub. It's the second best
[10:21] Speaker 3: pint in Guinness. Second best pint of Guinness in Ireland
[10:26] Speaker 3: in general.
[10:27] Speaker 2: In the world. Where's the first?
[10:28] Speaker 3: Be in the world. Great question. I don't know where
[10:31] Speaker 3: the first was.
[10:31] Speaker 2: I'd say maybe the Guinness factory.
[10:32] Speaker 3: Guinness factory.
[10:33] Speaker 1: Well, he went there.
[10:34] Speaker 2: It was eighth.
[10:35] Speaker 3: Guinness factory was number eight.
[10:36] Speaker 2: That's interesting.
[10:37] Speaker 3: It is interesting.
[10:37] Speaker 4: Can you tell us how you know that?
[10:39] Speaker 3: Because our Uber driver told us on the way there. Now,
[10:42] Speaker 3: I've never heard people... a species of people talk about something,
[10:46] Speaker 3: it's like us talking about rugby league. We're so passionate
[10:49] Speaker 3: about talking about it. Their rugby league is Guinness and
[10:52] Speaker 3: a pint. The Uber driver was telling us how excited
[10:54] Speaker 3: we have to be going out to the grave diggers,
[10:56] Speaker 3: second best pint. He pulls up at the front. There's
[10:59] Speaker 3: a bloke drilling a dart out the front of the
[11:00] Speaker 3: grave diggers and he's holding a pint of Guinness and
[11:03] Speaker 3: he goes, have a fucking look at that Guinness. Have
[11:05] Speaker 3: a look at that Guinness. Look at the head on it.
[11:06] Speaker 3: Look at how creamy it is.
[11:08] Speaker 2: You know what?
[11:09] Speaker 3: Puts his handbrake on, comes out, comes in with this,
[11:11] Speaker 3: orders a pint of Guinness, smashes it tells us how
[11:14] Speaker 3: good that was, and then goes back to Uber driving.
[11:17] Speaker 3: And I said, no other country is doing that.
[11:21] Speaker 2: You think about the Irish and the culture. All the
[11:23] Speaker 2: different cultures around the world are famous for something. Like,
[11:26] Speaker 2: you look at the French, it's art, you know, and
[11:28] Speaker 2: same with different areas in Europe. You've got Italy, it's
[11:30] Speaker 2: the food. The beauty of Ireland, their gift is the
[11:37] Speaker 2: spoken word a lot of times.
[11:39] Speaker 4: Storytelling.
[11:39] Speaker 2: It's the drinking, it's storytelling. Some of the greatest writers,
[11:42] Speaker 2: like James Joyce and, And their music is unbelievable. If
[11:45] Speaker 2: you look at all the Manchester bands and the Liverpool bands,
[11:49] Speaker 2: they're all Irish heritage. They're all immigrants. They're parents from Ireland. Oasis?
[11:53] Speaker 4: Yeah, they're Irish. Pastry.
[11:55] Speaker 2: They're Irish. Their mother, Peggy, and the old man, they
[11:58] Speaker 2: were Irish.
[11:59] Speaker 3: You know what's crazy about it? Because everyone always says, oh,
[12:01] Speaker 3: if you go there, you've got to have the Guinness
[12:02] Speaker 3: because it tastes so different. Now, I found out why
[12:05] Speaker 3: because a guy who worked at the Guinness factory told me– Obviously,
[12:09] Speaker 3: you're having a Guinness here, you've got to ship it
[12:10] Speaker 3: all the way out here, but it doesn't really affect–
[12:13] Speaker 3: the time in between does affect it, but because that
[12:16] Speaker 3: keg's not open, the oxygen hasn't got in yet, so
[12:18] Speaker 3: it doesn't affect the bitterness. But the big thing is
[12:21] Speaker 3: you want to go to a pub where there's a
[12:23] Speaker 3: lot of Guinness drinkers because as soon as they open
[12:25] Speaker 3: the keg, the oxygen gets in, and within like a day,
[12:29] Speaker 3: it already tastes a little bit different.
[12:30] Speaker 1: Ah, that's interesting.
[12:31] Speaker 3: They said at the Gravediggers, they have about 30 Guinness
[12:33] Speaker 3: drinkers in there at a time. And they pump a
[12:36] Speaker 3: keg in like two and a half hours.
[12:38] Speaker 2: I was going to say, it would not be a
[12:39] Speaker 2: problem on New Island.
[12:40] Speaker 3: You know?
[12:40] Speaker 2: Basically drinking wasted old Guinness.
[12:43] Speaker 4: When I used to work at the pub, the coopers
[12:47] Speaker 4: usually get, if you get to the bottom of the keg,
[12:49] Speaker 4: it gets real murky. Like real, because all the, what
[12:52] Speaker 4: do they call it?
[12:53] Speaker 2: Sediment?
[12:54] Speaker 4: The sediment, yeah, it gets at the bottom and they
[12:55] Speaker 4: get to the end of the thing. But some– and
[12:57] Speaker 4: a lot of people would probably like throw them off.
[12:59] Speaker 4: They'd be saying to me like, oh, I'd get a
[13:01] Speaker 4: new keg. I don't want that or have something else.
[13:04] Speaker 4: But the old seasoned drinkers, they would honestly wait until
[13:08] Speaker 4: they got to the sediment and they'd go, please give
[13:10] Speaker 4: me two or three pints of that.
[13:12] Speaker 1: Why?
[13:12] Speaker 4: I think it just tastes– I'd.
[13:13] Speaker 2: Say a bit more– it'd be thicker and my guess is–
[13:16] Speaker 2: It's like sludge. It might have a little bit of
[13:18] Speaker 2: a boost of– I'd say just maybe a percentage more
[13:21] Speaker 2: of alcohol to settling. Yeah. Remember the time, Jack? I'm
[13:25] Speaker 2: not going to say the brand, but– Because, you know,
[13:27] Speaker 2: but for a while there at the Beach Club, they
[13:31] Speaker 2: were selling a beer that had 9.1% alcohol.
[13:33] Speaker 4: No, it was– there was one that was 10.5%. This
[13:37] Speaker 4: one was 12%.
[13:37] Speaker 2: Yeah, 12%.
[13:38] Speaker 4: If you know the beer, you know, you can comment it.
[13:41] Speaker 1: Do they still sell it?
[13:42] Speaker 2: No, they had to get rid of it.
[13:43] Speaker 4: Not many places can.
[13:44] Speaker 2: Because there were a lot of incidents that happened.
[13:45] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[13:46] Speaker 2: And other ones, people were drinking it. Oh, I'll have
[13:48] Speaker 2: one of those.
[13:49] Speaker 1: Thinking it's a normal beer.
[13:49] Speaker 2: Not having a close look. Remember Bales went there?
[13:52] Speaker 1: Oh, my Lord.
[13:52] Speaker 2: So Bales went there. One thing about Phil Bailey.
[13:54] Speaker 1: You can't get him drunk.
[13:55] Speaker 2: Our friend, he is– He is the nicest bloke until, honestly,
[13:58] Speaker 2: he has one drink too many and he becomes so arguing,
[14:01] Speaker 2: like really belligerent, really rude actually. Anyway, that day we
[14:05] Speaker 2: went there and I said, come on, we'll have a couple. Mate,
[14:08] Speaker 2: he had three.
[14:10] Speaker 1: He walked into my house smoking a cigar.
[14:12] Speaker 2: And he was.
[14:13] Speaker 1: I went dead out.
[14:15] Speaker 2: He was maggot. Because you've got to understand, like as
[14:17] Speaker 2: Jack's saying, a 12.1% beer, as you're drinking one, you're
[14:21] Speaker 2: simultaneously drinking two.
[14:23] Speaker 4: So can I ask.
[14:24] Speaker 2: Another two.
[14:24] Speaker 3: So what's a regular beer?
[14:27] Speaker 1: Seven?
[14:28] Speaker 2: No, about 4.2, 4.3. Oh, wow.
[14:30] Speaker 4: That's almost three. During the storms of 2016, remember those
[14:34] Speaker 4: massive coastal storms? Yeah. And the Beast Club was destroyed
[14:38] Speaker 4: by these tidal waves and king tide. There may or
[14:41] Speaker 4: may not have been this beer washed up ashore at
[14:44] Speaker 4: a few different beaches. I know some people that picked
[14:46] Speaker 4: it up.
[14:47] Speaker 2: Some of the locals were just scanning a little like
[14:50] Speaker 2: a few years ago when all the– remember all the
[14:52] Speaker 2: cocaine packages were washing up around the beach? Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
[14:55] Speaker 4: There was another one.
[14:56] Speaker 2: Some of Fletcher's mates were going around in jet skis.
[14:58] Speaker 3: Trying to find it.
[15:00] Speaker 4: There was another one a couple of years back that
[15:02] Speaker 4: just a few years after that, that we had, and
[15:05] Speaker 4: it was like 10%. It was like this wood fire thing.
[15:08] Speaker 4: It had like bacon, you know how they have like
[15:11] Speaker 4: the suggested, what they have hints of and stuff like that.
[15:13] Speaker 4: And I remember these two old season drinkers come in
[15:15] Speaker 4: the morning. They come to have a couple. And like
[15:18] Speaker 4: these blokes would drink every day.
[15:19] Speaker 2: And I.
[15:20] Speaker 4: was told just be careful of who you serve these
[15:23] Speaker 4: to and keep an eye on them.
[15:25] Speaker 2: Tawny you, Jodie.
[15:26] Speaker 4: Yeah, I ran into Jodie today, actually.
[15:28] Speaker 2: Oh, did you?
[15:29] Speaker 1: Because he's been unwell.
[15:30] Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
[15:31] Speaker 3: We should air out his health issues on the podcast.
[15:37] Speaker 4: And these two guys came in, had a pint of
[15:40] Speaker 4: this wood fire thing, and then had a second one.
[15:43] Speaker 4: By the time I was giving them their third, I
[15:46] Speaker 4: was overhearing. It had been half an hour. I overheard
[15:48] Speaker 4: their conversation, and The manager came up and said, how
[15:51] Speaker 4: much have they had? I said, they've had two in
[15:54] Speaker 4: like 25 minutes. And they had to kick them out.
[15:56] Speaker 1: Do you know, I've got a question. What is an
[15:59] Speaker 1: appropriate amount of time to drink a schooner?
[16:02] Speaker 2: It depends. Cooper's mate, Bog, ask him. Tell us the story.
[16:05] Speaker 1: No, but normal folk.
[16:07] Speaker 2: I'd say six minutes.
[16:09] Speaker 3: No, no, no, six minutes. Six minutes. Are you talking
[16:13] Speaker 3: to anyone? Or are you just sitting there?
[16:15] Speaker 2: No, I'd say six minutes.
[16:16] Speaker 3: No, but like you've got to think like.
[16:19] Speaker 2: Six minutes would be. No, no, no.
[16:20] Speaker 4: You're sitting on it.
[16:21] Speaker 1: You're not gulling it.
[16:22] Speaker 3: In six minutes. That means you're having 10 in an hour.
[16:26] Speaker 2: If I sat in an hour, I could have six
[16:29] Speaker 2: or seven.
[16:31] Speaker 3: I swear to God. No, you probably could, but you're Russian.
[16:34] Speaker 3: You're not sitting there. You're not enjoying yourself.
[16:38] Speaker 4: Throw it to the listeners.
[16:40] Speaker 3: Yeah, what's the quickest you've ever– because we remember we
[16:43] Speaker 3: all spoke– Herbie Pearson. He spoke– how many did he
[16:46] Speaker 3: have in an hour?
[16:47] Speaker 2: In 20 minutes, he had 15.
[16:49] Speaker 3: 15.
[16:49] Speaker 2: 15.
[16:50] Speaker 3: What's the most you've ever seen someone drink in an
[16:52] Speaker 3: hour for our listeners?
[16:53] Speaker 4: It wasn't 20 minutes. It was 15 in an hour,
[16:55] Speaker 4: I think it was.
[16:56] Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought it was in an hour.
[16:57] Speaker 2: No, no, no. It might have been 30 minutes, but
[17:01] Speaker 2: it was a ridiculous amount, given it was Uncle Herbie.
[17:03] Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I think 15 even in an hour is
[17:05] Speaker 1: probably extreme.
[17:06] Speaker 3: Now, Dad just brought up my mate, Bog. So what
[17:08] Speaker 3: Bog's party trick over in Ireland was, we went to
[17:11] Speaker 3: the Guinness factory, and naturally, probably the greatest marketing tool
[17:15] Speaker 3: I've ever done was split the G. Like, because it
[17:18] Speaker 3: just boosted sales so much. Everyone tries to split the
[17:20] Speaker 3: G on the glass, on the pint glass that you have.
[17:22] Speaker 3: And the guy behind the can is Portis at the
[17:24] Speaker 3: Guinness factory. You get a voucher. Everyone gets a free Guinness.
[17:27] Speaker 3: Taste it there. And he goes, if anyone can split
[17:30] Speaker 3: the G, I'll give you a free one. So boom,
[17:32] Speaker 3: we all try. We just miss it.
[17:34] Speaker 1: Explain to our people what splitting the G is in
[17:35] Speaker 1: case they don't know.
[17:36] Speaker 3: Oh, I just said what splitting the G was.
[17:37] Speaker 2: Is there an echo in here?
[17:38] Speaker 3: Yeah, I said it's split the G on the glass.
[17:41] Speaker 3: You try to split the G.
[17:42] Speaker 1: Now, okay, I've got a question. Is it the brown
[17:43] Speaker 1: line or the top of the froth? It's. Don't shake
[17:47] Speaker 1: your head at me.
[17:48] Speaker 3: It's the brown line.
[17:49] Speaker 1: I saw that, Jack.
[17:51] Speaker 3: It's the brown. You're on fire today. You really are
[17:54] Speaker 3: on fire. Maybe it's you with the red hair.
[17:56] Speaker 1: I've sat there and haven't said a word and just
[17:59] Speaker 1: listened to you guys boggle on for the last 10 minutes.
[18:03] Speaker 3: Did you want to blow the harmonica?
[18:05] Speaker 1: No, I just don't want Jack shaking his head at me.
[18:07] Speaker 4: Why did you use the word boggle? Yeah. Okay.
[18:10] Speaker 3: Anyway, so back to the story. You're amazing. Where's the harmonica?
[18:14] Speaker 3: Pass it here. So Bog's party trick was every time
[18:17] Speaker 3: someone asked him to split the G, he'd just destroy
[18:19] Speaker 3: the whole Guinness and he'd just pump it. Now, you'd
[18:22] Speaker 3: think that the guy probably behind the bar would go, whoa, mate,
[18:25] Speaker 3: you're drinking that too quick. The guy was so stoked
[18:28] Speaker 3: with Bog drinking it. He actually got a high five
[18:31] Speaker 3: from all of his colleagues just for serving Bog. It's
[18:35] Speaker 3: like in Ireland, responsible service of alcohol just was not
[18:38] Speaker 3: a thing. And then he gave everyone who was in
[18:42] Speaker 3: our group a free Guinness for Bog smashing the whole time.
[18:44] Speaker 2: Isn't it funny is that the guy who served Bog
[18:47] Speaker 2: was a legend.
[18:48] Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. Bog didn't get a high five. Like
[18:51] Speaker 3: no one high-fived Bog. They high-fived the guy for pouring
[18:53] Speaker 3: Bog the pint.
[18:54] Speaker 2: It's like the sponsor.
[18:55] Speaker 3: It was amazing. It was a lot of fun. Where
[18:58] Speaker 3: did you guys go afterwards?
[19:00] Speaker 4: Tricia?
[19:01] Speaker 1: No, I wouldn't dare speak.
[19:02] Speaker 3: I knew you weren't going to speak.
[19:04] Speaker 4: No, no, seriously.
[19:05] Speaker 1: I'm not speaking. I'm done with you. I don't feel
[19:07] Speaker 1: well anyway. And this wig is really hot. So just
[19:10] Speaker 1: talk to me. Matt, you take it away.
[19:12] Speaker 3: The only reason it was that because I just explained
[19:14] Speaker 3: the rules and then you tried to make me re-explain it.
[19:16] Speaker 1: No, but my question was, and it was a question
[19:18] Speaker 1: from myself, having done it myself, is it the brown
[19:22] Speaker 1: line or is it the top of the froth?
[19:24] Speaker 3: It's the brown line. The top of the froth is
[19:27] Speaker 3: because the froth goes down after a bit anyway. So
[19:30] Speaker 3: it has to be the brown line because the froth fluctuates.
[19:32] Speaker 1: That's all I asked, just to be specific.
[19:34] Speaker 3: You're amazing. You have gotten very angry. Both of you
[19:39] Speaker 3: guys have gotten very angry as you've gotten older.
[19:41] Speaker 1: I'm not. When we come in here, like him shaking
[19:44] Speaker 1: his head at me.
[19:45] Speaker 4: Just shits me, mad.
[19:46] Speaker 3: I think he was just shaking his head because you
[19:47] Speaker 3: asked me to repeat something I just repeated. You know
[19:50] Speaker 3: what I mean?
[19:51] Speaker 1: Are you going to repeat it again?
[19:52] Speaker 3: I'm not going to repeat it now.
[19:53] Speaker 1: Well, apparently you are repeating it again. I've already explained
[19:56] Speaker 1: why I needed specification.
[19:58] Speaker 4: Can you explain to people what splitting the G is?
[20:00] Speaker 3: I've said it three times. I have said it three times.
[20:03] Speaker 2: Salamander.
[20:05] Speaker 3: My question for the family is, Trish, Matt, did you
[20:11] Speaker 3: enjoy the rest of your trip after us?
[20:13] Speaker 2: Yes.
[20:13] Speaker 1: Well, Matt and I took a wrong turn and ended
[20:15] Speaker 1: up in Prague because it was raining in Puglia. Apparently,
[20:18] Speaker 1: even though Italy hated Matt, Prague loved Matt.
[20:21] Speaker 4: Really?
[20:21] Speaker 1: Matt, we got to our hotel. Tell the story, Matt,
[20:25] Speaker 1: because I wasn't actually there. So it may have been
[20:27] Speaker 1: made up.
[20:27] Speaker 4: Well, for the wedding too. When Cuba says as well,
[20:30] Speaker 4: when you say there Italy doesn't like Matt, You guys
[20:35] Speaker 4: were all three of you were in the same room
[20:37] Speaker 4: together down south when it was raining around the wedding.
[20:40] Speaker 2: Italy didn't like Matt. And we didn't like each other. Yeah.
[20:44] Speaker 1: Well, Matt, you did throw a hissy fit because you
[20:46] Speaker 1: didn't like where I'd chosen for us to stay.
[20:48] Speaker 2: It was a hell hole.
[20:49] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[20:50] Speaker 2: Okay.
[20:50] Speaker 3: Yeah, it was. Look, Trish, in hindsight, I wish you'd– look,
[20:55] Speaker 3: you made an executive decision because everyone– otherwise we're going
[20:57] Speaker 3: to have to split up as a family, which I
[20:59] Speaker 3: wouldn't have mind.
[21:00] Speaker 4: Yeah, we probably shouldn't.
[21:01] Speaker 1: And then you could have just booked your own stuff.
[21:02] Speaker 4: Have you got any anecdotes, Cooper, from your time in
[21:05] Speaker 4: the room with Mum and.
[21:06] Speaker 2: Dad for three days?
[21:07] Speaker 3: Well, I said it last week on the Family Pod.
[21:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, I did.
[21:09] Speaker 3: So let's not rehash the same content. Like I've already
[21:11] Speaker 3: told everyone how to split the G four times on
[21:13] Speaker 3: this podcast. Did you enjoy Prague?
[21:16] Speaker 2: We loved it.
[21:17] Speaker 3: Tell them about that guy.
[21:18] Speaker 2: Okay.
[21:19] Speaker 1: Miroslav.
[21:19] Speaker 2: Yes. So we arrive in Prague and I'm pulling the
[21:23] Speaker 2: bags out the back. All of a sudden, a guy
[21:26] Speaker 2: come out from the hotel and he's looking at me
[21:28] Speaker 2: really like a strange coming up. And I thought, oh man,
[21:31] Speaker 2: this is not strange, but like, you know, you just,
[21:33] Speaker 2: you get that sense. Yeah. And I'll pull the bags out.
[21:36] Speaker 2: He said, oh sir, let me get. And he second
[21:37] Speaker 2: looked at me and he's gone. excuse me, can I
[21:40] Speaker 2: have your surname? And I went, oh, John's. And he went,
[21:44] Speaker 2: I honestly thought people were looking around to be G'd up.
[21:47] Speaker 2: He went, am I dreaming? I went, what? He goes,
[21:50] Speaker 2: I'm dreaming. I'm dreaming.
[21:52] Speaker 4: Matty?
[21:53] Speaker 2: And I went, yeah. He goes, oh, all the guys here,
[21:57] Speaker 2: we love your show. And I went, sorry? Yeah, seriously.
[22:00] Speaker 3: What's the time difference in Prague?
[22:02] Speaker 2: Well, I think they must get it on the NRL
[22:05] Speaker 2: app or something like that. I don't know. But they
[22:08] Speaker 2: watch it. So. So Miroslav, all the blokes who work
[22:12] Speaker 2: there at the Four Seasons in Prague, they're massive rugby
[22:16] Speaker 2: league fans because Miroslav went over for a little bit,
[22:19] Speaker 2: just a short stint, lived in Perth. And someone showed
[22:22] Speaker 2: him Rugby Union. And he went, oh, that's good. And
[22:24] Speaker 2: then someone after you was at a pub and someone said,
[22:26] Speaker 2: Rugby Union? Don't worry about that. Have a look at
[22:28] Speaker 2: this game, rugby league. And he said, Matt, I was
[22:31] Speaker 2: just mesmerized by it. And he said, I came back
[22:34] Speaker 2: and told all the guys. He said, we watch it
[22:36] Speaker 2: all the time. He goes, oh, that guy over there,
[22:38] Speaker 2: he's a Parramatta fan. He's a massive guy.
[22:40] Speaker 1: He's security.
[22:40] Speaker 2: Yep. He goes, oh, he's a Roosters fan. He likes
[22:43] Speaker 2: the Knights. How gutsy were the Knights?
[22:44] Speaker 1: Oh, he knew all of that.
[22:45] Speaker 2: They were all talking.
[22:46] Speaker 3: So they knew, like, not just your show, but did
[22:48] Speaker 3: they know, like, the news and the current?
[22:50] Speaker 1: Really? Yeah, because it was just after the grand final.
[22:53] Speaker 2: So they knew all of it. And Miroslav, to let
[22:55] Speaker 2: people know, they talk about the random South guy.
[22:58] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[22:58] Speaker 2: He is, mate, South Sydney fanatic. He was Texas– I
[23:02] Speaker 2: must say, with Miroslav, towards the end it was getting
[23:05] Speaker 2: a bit stalky. I said a trick. I have to
[23:07] Speaker 2: take another. Of course, every time I go past, he
[23:09] Speaker 2: would just obsess and talk.
[23:11] Speaker 1: About the game.
[23:11] Speaker 2: He just wanted to chat. And he's like, mate, can
[23:13] Speaker 2: you get Luttrell to send me a message? And I'm like, well, Luttrell,
[23:18] Speaker 2: if you know Luttrell, bump him. I got his number. And, mate,
[23:23] Speaker 2: it just blew me away.
[23:24] Speaker 3: That's pretty cool.
[23:25] Speaker 2: It was just an amazing surprise. I will say one
[23:27] Speaker 2: thing about– So if you're a South Sydney fan, Honestly,
[23:29] Speaker 2: go to the Four Susans.
[23:30] Speaker 3: I reckon everyone will relate to this being an Aussie,
[23:34] Speaker 3: but there's something so cool about seeing a fellow Australian overseas,
[23:39] Speaker 3: like in a pub, there is something so camaraderie. It's
[23:42] Speaker 3: the best feeling in the world.
[23:43] Speaker 2: And you're recognised.
[23:44] Speaker 1: There's so many.
[23:45] Speaker 3: But then even for us, like doing a potty or, Dad,
[23:47] Speaker 3: for you doing your show, like meeting someone abroad overseas
[23:50] Speaker 3: who's not Australian, who might listen to the potty or
[23:53] Speaker 3: follow you on Instagram or social media, That's equally as
[23:56] Speaker 3: cool a feeling.
[23:57] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's actually cool.
[23:57] Speaker 3: Like it is a very fulfilling feeling.
[23:58] Speaker 2: We're in a pub and this guy in Munich came
[24:00] Speaker 2: up and he goes, hey, Matthew, how are you? And
[24:02] Speaker 2: I go, oh, good, mate, how are you doing? And
[24:03] Speaker 2: he goes, ah, from Johannesburg. And he said, I watch
[24:06] Speaker 2: a little bit of the rugby league and see a
[24:08] Speaker 2: little bit of the shows. How are Fletch and Heidi? Wow.
[24:11] Speaker 3: And is he a league man at all?
[24:13] Speaker 2: He certainly watches a little bit. They get a little
[24:15] Speaker 2: bit over there in South Africa. Can I tell you
[24:17] Speaker 2: one more back on Miroslav before we finish?
[24:20] Speaker 1: Okay.
[24:20] Speaker 2: This is one more. Bad day two, I'm walking past
[24:23] Speaker 2: and he goes, hey, Matt. I said, Miroslav, what's it doing?
[24:26] Speaker 2: He goes, I like red. I said, oh, red, oh, yeah.
[24:29] Speaker 2: He goes, you know. I went, yeah, yeah, red, yeah. Anyway,
[24:33] Speaker 2: the next day I went past him. He goes, red, ah, ah, ah.
[24:39] Speaker 3: Oh, Red Reagan.
[24:41] Speaker 1: What?
[24:42] Speaker 3: So they literally have dug up. I reckon they've watched
[24:45] Speaker 3: your show and then they've just deep dived and they've
[24:46] Speaker 3: seen everything you've ever done.
[24:47] Speaker 2: Without a shadow of a doubt. After that, we went
[24:50] Speaker 2: to Munich. We had a great time there, didn't we, Trish?
[24:52] Speaker 1: Yeah, it was okay.
[24:54] Speaker 3: All right.
[24:55] Speaker 2: Well, I had a great time there.
[24:56] Speaker 1: I preferred Prague.
[24:57] Speaker 2: Yeah, I prefer Prague.
[24:58] Speaker 1: We met loads of Newcastle people from Prague, actually.
[25:01] Speaker 2: A lot of Newcastle people.
[25:02] Speaker 3: What, living in Prague?
[25:03] Speaker 4: No, travelling.
[25:04] Speaker 2: Oh, really? Just travelling, yeah. We met a lot of
[25:06] Speaker 2: Newcastle people everywhere, didn't we?
[25:08] Speaker 1: We did.
[25:09] Speaker 3: Isn't Munich where the bedbugs were?
[25:10] Speaker 4: Apparently. Apparently.
[25:11] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[25:12] Speaker 3: Isn't that the home of bed bugs?
[25:13] Speaker 2: So letting people know we're over– it was 15 years ago.
[25:17] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[25:17] Speaker 2: Staying with Brian in Neera Chowza. We go in Budapest.
[25:21] Speaker 2: We are literally about to fly to Munich. We're all
[25:24] Speaker 2: excited about it. And this lady goes, we're off to next.
[25:27] Speaker 2: And we said, we're off to Munich. She goes, Munich?
[25:31] Speaker 2: That city's infested with bed bugs. Trish goes, that's it.
[25:34] Speaker 2: I'm not going.
[25:36] Speaker 3: That's like your biggest fear, right?
[25:37] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[25:38] Speaker 1: Actually, while we were away, someone mentioned that there was
[25:41] Speaker 1: a flight completely filled with bedbugs.
[25:45] Speaker 3: How would they even know that?
[25:45] Speaker 1: It was flying. Oh, it was on the news.
[25:47] Speaker 2: It was on the news.
[25:48] Speaker 3: No, but how would they– like who's on the flight?
[25:49] Speaker 1: Oh, I think everyone was itching. Like the plane ran
[25:52] Speaker 1: out of antihistamines. Like it was bad.
[25:54] Speaker 4: Yeah. Did you hear that? Yeah, I heard. They're going
[25:57] Speaker 4: to make a movie about it. They're going to call
[25:58] Speaker 4: it bedbugs on a plane. Shut up.
[26:00] Speaker 2: Samuel L. Jackson.
[26:01] Speaker 1: He's good, Jack.
[26:05] Speaker 3: As soon as Jack started agreeing and went, I go,
[26:09] Speaker 3: there's a joke coming and I don't know if it's
[26:11] Speaker 3: going to be good, but that was actually not too bad.
[26:13] Speaker 2: Bed bag no-do.
[26:14] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[26:15] Speaker 2: What?
[26:15] Speaker 1: Was that a knock on the door?
[26:17] Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought it was.
[26:17] Speaker 1: I think it is and I think that might be
[26:19] Speaker 1: my non-costume. I did say to Paul, the builder, if
[26:21] Speaker 1: it arrives, bring it and I can do a costume change.
[26:24] Speaker 1: You can go a little, man.
[26:25] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah?
[26:25] Speaker 3: You're going to keep going?
[26:26] Speaker 2: Yeah, keep going. Hey, Paulie, how are you?
[26:30] Speaker 4: Hey.
[26:30] Speaker 3: Hey. Do you want to go and get changed?
[26:34] Speaker 1: I'd love to put my non-costume on.
[26:35] Speaker 2: Paulie, our builder, of course, who played for the Roosters,
[26:38] Speaker 2: had a look in and just.
[26:39] Speaker 3: Did he play for the Roosters?
[26:40] Speaker 2: Yeah, he played for the Roosters for Fletch.
[26:41] Speaker 3: He's a good man.
[26:42] Speaker 4: Paulie just saw you and thought, what the fuck is
[26:44] Speaker 4: going on, man?
[26:45] Speaker 2: Yeah. He started getting an erection. I'm sorry.
[26:47] Speaker 3: Watch yourself, George.
[26:48] Speaker 2: Give us 10 minutes.
[26:49] Speaker 3: Let's not forget, Dad, he's in a bikini.
[26:51] Speaker 1: Let's just remember, when Matt got dressed and I went, oh, interesting,
[26:55] Speaker 1: he went, I'm just worried that some of our listeners
[26:58] Speaker 1: or viewers might get turned on by it.
[27:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, I reckon.
[27:01] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[27:02] Speaker 2: Honestly, when I dressed in this, and I'm not kidding.
[27:04] Speaker 2: You felt sexy? People who are cross-dressers, I never got it.
[27:07] Speaker 2: But I must say, when I put on Trisha's bikini,
[27:09] Speaker 2: there was a, I don't know, there was something going on.
[27:11] Speaker 3: You've always loved, remember when we had Gaz and Gail
[27:13] Speaker 3: on the pod and they said he'd always go in
[27:15] Speaker 3: and that'd be dressed completely in Gail's clothing all the time.
[27:19] Speaker 3: You're not going to get changed here, are you?
[27:21] Speaker 1: No.
[27:21] Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
[27:22] Speaker 1: I'm going to. I just want to say one thing
[27:23] Speaker 1: about our journey, or not the journey, was like every
[27:29] Speaker 1: place we went, Everywhere had an Irish pub and we
[27:33] Speaker 1: visited every Irish pub through Europe. Even Ireland had an
[27:36] Speaker 1: Irish pub.
[27:38] Speaker 2: Prague, Munich.
[27:38] Speaker 4: Paris.
[27:39] Speaker 3: Paris, everywhere.
[27:39] Speaker 2: You could go to the most random place in the world.
[27:41] Speaker 2: You could go to Vladivostok in Siberia and they all
[27:44] Speaker 2: have Irish pubs.
[27:44] Speaker 1: Irish pubs. It's bizarre. The one in Munich was a
[27:47] Speaker 1: bit of a drug den though, I thought.
[27:48] Speaker 2: It was a drug den. I know it was.
[27:50] Speaker 1: Serving Indian food.
[27:52] Speaker 2: Yeah, I was in there.
[27:53] Speaker 1: Stunk of Indian food.
[27:53] Speaker 2: You went, mate, I'm telling you it's a drug den.
[27:55] Speaker 2: Trish says that about everywhere. Even if someone, people, if
[27:58] Speaker 2: you don't wash your car.
[27:58] Speaker 4: Dirty car.
[27:59] Speaker 2: She will say you're a drug dealer.
[28:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, if you don't take care of your car, I
[28:02] Speaker 1: think you're a drug dealer.
[28:02] Speaker 2: But I will say this, when I walked to that pub,
[28:05] Speaker 2: good for you, it was definitely a drug den. I
[28:08] Speaker 2: went back there that night and unfortunately a lot of
[28:10] Speaker 2: them left.
[28:10] Speaker 1: And then remember in Paris we were in one and
[28:12] Speaker 1: you went to order a Guinness and they only served
[28:15] Speaker 1: craft beer.
[28:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right.
[28:16] Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to change out of my devil costume
[28:18] Speaker 1: and into... Okay, none.
[28:20] Speaker 2: Unbelievable. That's certainly a juxtaposition.
[28:23] Speaker 3: Very contrasting.
[28:24] Speaker 1: Make sure you talk about Jack's journey.
[28:27] Speaker 4: Yes.
[28:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll try.
[28:28] Speaker 2: Oh, yes. Jack Johns, take it from there because, okay,
[28:34] Speaker 2: I was getting a lot of crap shit put on
[28:36] Speaker 2: me by the fact that I was driving around. When
[28:38] Speaker 2: you're driving on the other side of the road, people
[28:39] Speaker 2: who do it, you'll know what it's like initially when
[28:41] Speaker 2: you're doing, you know, a short right, long left, other
[28:43] Speaker 2: side of the road. Jack.
[28:44] Speaker 4: All right, she's gone. You.
[28:48] Speaker 3: Guys, look, letting our listeners in, there's been a couple
[28:51] Speaker 3: of cuts and a couple of fights so far. It
[28:55] Speaker 3: is our first podcast back in the room, so I was–
[28:57] Speaker 3: thinking there was going to be a couple arguments and whatnot,
[28:59] Speaker 3: because that's what family does. You argue, but you love
[29:01] Speaker 3: each other unconditionally.
[29:02] Speaker 4: I honestly thought dad dressed like that. There's no way
[29:05] Speaker 4: we could fight this podcast.
[29:06] Speaker 2: I never thought of it. Just the mood of this,
[29:08] Speaker 2: I thought there is no way in the world we
[29:09] Speaker 2: can fight. But Jesus, I tell you what, she's on
[29:11] Speaker 2: the bit. She's on the bit. I know she's had
[29:14] Speaker 2: a couple of beers or something.
[29:16] Speaker 3: Nah, she hasn't.
[29:17] Speaker 2: But I think... Not injecting speed.
[29:18] Speaker 3: I don't know if it's because she was dressed like
[29:19] Speaker 3: a devil. She's acted like it. Maybe when she comes
[29:21] Speaker 3: back like a nun, she'll act like a nun.
[29:24] Speaker 4: I hope so.
[29:25] Speaker 3: Jack, how was your experience?
[29:26] Speaker 4: Because.
[29:27] Speaker 3: The best thing I saw about your– you put up
[29:30] Speaker 3: a lot of photos on your Instagram. You're in Zermatt.
[29:31] Speaker 3: Is that Switzerland?
[29:32] Speaker 4: Yeah, Switzerland. That was unreal. Yeah, so after we all
[29:35] Speaker 4: split off from the wedding, me and Gem went– we
[29:37] Speaker 4: went Bologna into Florence and then Venice. for my birthday.
[29:41] Speaker 4: And then we went to– from Venice, we did a
[29:43] Speaker 4: day trip where we went to Milan and I had
[29:46] Speaker 4: to drive to Lake Como. Oh, my God. Which was
[29:49] Speaker 4: the half an hour in and out of Como might
[29:52] Speaker 4: have been the most– my heart rate on the other
[29:54] Speaker 4: side of the road, other side of the car– And
[29:56] Speaker 4: these roads, dead set, they're on like cliff faces. And
[30:01] Speaker 4: they are like one-way streets and then cars coming both ways.
[30:05] Speaker 3: It's scary.
[30:05] Speaker 4: And they're going like 60. And you're sitting there trying
[30:09] Speaker 4: to go around these tight corners where you can't see anything.
[30:11] Speaker 3: I'll tell you what. I swear everywhere overseas. It makes
[30:14] Speaker 3: you appreciate it. Australian road rules and drivers, we're good
[30:18] Speaker 3: in comparison to everyone else. Like, it doesn't matter where
[30:20] Speaker 3: you go. Italy, Greece, Paris.
[30:22] Speaker 2: Mate.
[30:23] Speaker 3: Sounds like Zermatt.
[30:24] Speaker 2: Mate, as you know, the Latins, mate, they were just crazy.
[30:27] Speaker 3: How reckless.
[30:29] Speaker 4: Well, even then, like, after Como, we got in the
[30:32] Speaker 4: car and I drove from there to, like, Tarsch, this
[30:35] Speaker 4: little Swedish town. But on the way, I had to
[30:37] Speaker 4: get on, like, the Milan Highway. I had to go
[30:39] Speaker 4: through the Swedish mountain– the Switzerland mountains. Oh, my God.
[30:44] Speaker 4: When you– Dead set. When you're going up from Italy
[30:46] Speaker 4: to Switzerland into the mountains, if I looked off the cliffside,
[30:52] Speaker 4: it's honestly like a kilometre down. It is so high
[30:56] Speaker 4: and so dense, the atmosphere. It's unbelievable.
[31:00] Speaker 2: And see, if that was Australia, we'd have all barricades
[31:03] Speaker 2: and that set up. But over there, they go, no, no,
[31:05] Speaker 2: that's what we do. Just take your time and be careful.
[31:09] Speaker 2: But it is so unnerving when you're right on the
[31:12] Speaker 2: edge and you're on the other side of the road.
[31:13] Speaker 4: And you're on the other side of the road. I
[31:16] Speaker 4: will say going from Italy into Switzerland, you go, I
[31:19] Speaker 4: don't know what the Swiss tax system is over there,
[31:22] Speaker 4: but there was a definite change when you drove from–
[31:25] Speaker 4: there's about two, three kilometres of road where you switch
[31:29] Speaker 4: from Italy into Switzerland. And basically, like, the roads as
[31:35] Speaker 4: you're going in are like art. Like, the way they're
[31:38] Speaker 4: set up, like, the tar. I was like, oh, geez. Like,
[31:41] Speaker 4: we were both, oh, Jesus.
[31:42] Speaker 2: Holy dooly.
[31:44] Speaker 3: That was the quickest change I've ever seen.
[31:46] Speaker 2: Why am I getting horny again?
[31:47] Speaker 3: I was expecting you to be gone for, like, an hour.
[31:51] Speaker 3: You were wishing.
[31:53] Speaker 2: No, no. We're wrapping.
[31:54] Speaker 3: We actually were just wrapping now. Yeah. We just said.
[31:57] Speaker 2: Her enthusiasm is contagious. Like a handshake.
[31:59] Speaker 4: What's with the COVID? What's with the it makeup?
[32:04] Speaker 2: Oh, sorry.
[32:04] Speaker 3: I've turned your mic off.
[32:05] Speaker 1: I'm scary. I'm scary nun. And, I mean, it's a
[32:09] Speaker 1: lot more comfortable being a nun than a devil, let
[32:11] Speaker 1: me tell you.
[32:11] Speaker 2: You've got to be careful. That can get addictive. It
[32:13] Speaker 2: becomes quite a habit. What is?
[32:15] Speaker 1: Oh.
[32:18] Speaker 4: I just got that.
[32:18] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[32:19] Speaker 4: It's not good.
[32:20] Speaker 2: I must say.
[32:21] Speaker 1: This is so comfy.
[32:22] Speaker 2: When I was away. Greatest. Growing up, I was taught
[32:24] Speaker 2: by the nuns, and the uniform to me was always
[32:27] Speaker 2: represented like, you know, it was like drab. But I
[32:29] Speaker 2: must say, when we were in....
[32:33] Speaker 4: Rome.
[32:33] Speaker 2: When we were in Rome, when they were walking around,
[32:35] Speaker 2: I must say, some of the uniforms, some of the
[32:37] Speaker 2: habits were quite fetching.
[32:39] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[32:40] Speaker 2: Anyway.
[32:41] Speaker 4: I'm just going to stay away from that one.
[32:43] Speaker 2: Jacob, all the places you went up there, right? All
[32:45] Speaker 2: those different places, Switzerland and Northern Italy, where would you live?
[32:50] Speaker 2: There's a question. Live.
[32:52] Speaker 4: Wow. Maybe if... Out of all of them, maybe Florence.
[32:56] Speaker 4: Florence was quite nice. It wasn't as– the roads are
[33:00] Speaker 4: a bit hard. It's– I don't know. They're all very,
[33:03] Speaker 4: very different to here. I will say I wouldn't live
[33:06] Speaker 4: in Zermatt because, one, it's the Franks. Swiss Franks is
[33:10] Speaker 4: so expensive.
[33:12] Speaker 3: And it's so hard. Like when they– if you're filling
[33:14] Speaker 3: out a survey, it says where you're from, just scroll
[33:16] Speaker 3: all the way down to Z.
[33:17] Speaker 2: To S.
[33:18] Speaker 3: To Z.
[33:19] Speaker 1: Oh, Zed.
[33:20] Speaker 4: And obviously the weather, like in season, like that cold weather.
[33:24] Speaker 4: But I must say it was probably one of the
[33:26] Speaker 4: most beautiful places I've ever been. Like when you go
[33:28] Speaker 4: to the top, we're out of season. So there was
[33:31] Speaker 4: a bit of snow in the mountains in the Matterhorn.
[33:33] Speaker 4: The Matterhorn just stares over the town, which is like
[33:36] Speaker 4: one of the biggest mountains on earth. And then we
[33:38] Speaker 4: went to the top of the mountain. And it's like
[33:41] Speaker 4: you go to the top, you can walk all the
[33:43] Speaker 4: way down if you want to. It's probably one of
[33:45] Speaker 4: the most beautiful sights you could ever see. I recommend
[33:48] Speaker 4: it for people. Don't go there for more than a
[33:50] Speaker 4: day or two because it's so expensive, but go there
[33:54] Speaker 4: for a day trip whenever you can. If you can
[33:57] Speaker 4: get during the peak season with the snow, like going
[34:00] Speaker 4: up and down that mountain during snow season would be
[34:03] Speaker 4: like a hell of an experience.
[34:04] Speaker 2: You're a real Katrina Roundtree, aren't you?
[34:06] Speaker 4: Get away.
[34:07] Speaker 2: What about we're in Salzburg talking about that, right? This
[34:11] Speaker 2: is a beautiful town, home of Mozart. Beautiful town for
[34:15] Speaker 2: about five minutes. Yeah.
[34:19] Speaker 3: You're certainly not acting like a nun.
[34:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. That's right.
[34:23] Speaker 1: I only speak the truth.
[34:25] Speaker 2: Just quickly, before we continue, the train there. Look, people,
[34:28] Speaker 2: if you're on a train or on a plane, you've
[34:30] Speaker 2: got a couple of things you've got to do. Number one,
[34:32] Speaker 2: clean your teeth before you get on. Number two, wear deodorant.
[34:34] Speaker 2: Number three, if you've got a cold, blow your nose.
[34:37] Speaker 2: I was next to this young bloke, and he was
[34:38] Speaker 2: just going. The whole time. And I went across. Sat
[34:43] Speaker 2: with Trish and he just kept doing it. I said, Trish,
[34:45] Speaker 2: I'm going to throw up. Then I realized I had
[34:47] Speaker 2: my earbuds in. Put it in, put it on full
[34:49] Speaker 2: volume so I couldn't hear him. He was just. Really?
[34:52] Speaker 4: It was.
[34:52] Speaker 1: Oh, thank you.
[34:53] Speaker 2: It was horrendous. Now, the other one, we went up
[34:56] Speaker 2: to the castle up at Salzburg.
[34:58] Speaker 1: The fort, yes.
[34:59] Speaker 2: The fortress. And you go around and it sort of has,
[35:02] Speaker 2: it was a puppet show and it was highlighting the
[35:05] Speaker 2: great fire of Salzburg. I reckon it was the most
[35:08] Speaker 2: American moment I've ever had in my life. I'm standing
[35:11] Speaker 2: next to these two sort of, probably in their late 60s,
[35:15] Speaker 2: American couple, and they're showing the Great Fire of Salzburg,
[35:20] Speaker 2: and the wife goes, hey, Randy, who do you think
[35:23] Speaker 2: lit the fire? And he says back, I don't know,
[35:26] Speaker 2: some knucklehead.
[35:29] Speaker 3: Randy is such an American name.
[35:31] Speaker 2: Randy and Chad. And I just said, I said, that bloke,
[35:35] Speaker 2: I said, Randy, wherever he comes from, he was the bloke,
[35:38] Speaker 2: I reckon he was the go-to guy. He's the guy
[35:40] Speaker 2: with all the answers. Hey, Randy, what about that? Who
[35:43] Speaker 2: lit the fire, Randy? I don't know, some knucklehead. I
[35:46] Speaker 2: just thought, good for.
[35:47] Speaker 4: You, Randy.
[35:47] Speaker 3: Have you got that harmonica, Drew?
[35:53] Speaker 2: Nice.
[35:53] Speaker 3: While we're on a story that won't get a harmonica, Dad,
[36:00] Speaker 3: can you tell the people about your sign languaging?
[36:03] Speaker 2: Oh, man.
[36:03] Speaker 3: It was awesome because you've learnt, like Dad's learnt to sign,
[36:06] Speaker 3: which I think sign language is a great skill to have.
[36:08] Speaker 1: It's fantastic, but not when he puts me on the
[36:10] Speaker 1: spot because if he's signing, then no one, you know,
[36:13] Speaker 1: then they look at me and direct me for everything.
[36:16] Speaker 2: Well, it's like learning a foreign language.
[36:19] Speaker 4: Why are you staring at Cooper like that?
[36:21] Speaker 1: Because why is he staring at me?
[36:23] Speaker 3: I was just laughing at you.
[36:24] Speaker 2: You're getting paranoid, Trish. Well, just because you're paranoid doesn't
[36:27] Speaker 2: mean they're not after you. Well- It's like learning a
[36:32] Speaker 2: foreign language. Eventually, you've got to throw yourself into the
[36:35] Speaker 2: deep water. So I would go up and just do it.
[36:37] Speaker 2: Trish would go, don't do it, don't do it. But
[36:39] Speaker 2: correct me if I'm wrong. One of the beautiful things
[36:42] Speaker 2: about sign, it crosses cultures, it crosses languages, because the
[36:45] Speaker 2: French can be quite– if you go up and start
[36:47] Speaker 2: stumbling around in English, they're quite terse. Yeah. But when
[36:51] Speaker 2: I went up and signed, although they didn't understand me,
[36:54] Speaker 2: they were really nice and accommodating. Am I wrong?
[36:57] Speaker 1: No, no, you're correct. But you were doing it. in
[37:00] Speaker 1: an immersive manner. So then they actually thought you were deaf.
[37:04] Speaker 2: Well, that's what they did.
[37:05] Speaker 4: And that was the problem.
[37:07] Speaker 1: And I didn't want someone to feel like they were
[37:09] Speaker 1: being tricked.
[37:10] Speaker 3: No.
[37:11] Speaker 1: If you spoke and signed, that would be different.
[37:15] Speaker 3: That doesn't defeat the purpose.
[37:15] Speaker 2: That doesn't defeat the purpose.
[37:17] Speaker 1: No, because if they don't understand sign language, they don't
[37:19] Speaker 1: understand it.
[37:20] Speaker 2: Okay. But then what the exercise is, and the reason
[37:24] Speaker 2: I'm doing it is one of our greatest friends, his daughter,
[37:28] Speaker 2: She signs.
[37:28] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[37:29] Speaker 2: So I wanted to be able to go and have
[37:30] Speaker 2: a conversation with her. But if I go up and go, hello,
[37:33] Speaker 2: could I get a hello, it's really nice to meet you.
[37:35] Speaker 2: Can I get a table for two? I'm defeating. For me,
[37:37] Speaker 2: I try and then we'll get there.
[37:40] Speaker 3: You'll learn on the way.
[37:41] Speaker 2: But people, so if I went up now, people, please,
[37:43] Speaker 2: I know people who sign will go, oh, you got
[37:46] Speaker 2: that wrong. But here's an example. You walk into a
[37:48] Speaker 2: hotel and you go.
[37:53] Speaker 1: That's a visual.
[37:53] Speaker 2: That's a visual.
[37:55] Speaker 3: I was going to say, the people in the car
[37:58] Speaker 3: are going, you got that wrong, mate. You're right. I
[38:01] Speaker 3: actually forgot about that.
[38:02] Speaker 2: I went, hi, nice to meet you. Could I have
[38:05] Speaker 2: a table for two, please? A nice table for two.
[38:08] Speaker 2: Thank you very much. Do you know what the best
[38:11] Speaker 2: one is?
[38:12] Speaker 3: I was thinking the same thing. I was just going
[38:13] Speaker 3: to let it go for like 30 seconds. The people
[38:15] Speaker 3: in the car were.
[38:16] Speaker 2: Going, what the fuck's going on here? I forgot about
[38:18] Speaker 2: the visual medium. But the other one, this is a
[38:21] Speaker 2: beauty in sign, is beer. So, you know, it's one
[38:23] Speaker 2: of the things. So I go up and say, hi,
[38:25] Speaker 2: nice to meet you. Could I please get a table
[38:29] Speaker 2: for one? Nice table. And could I have one beer? Now,
[38:34] Speaker 2: for people, what beer is in sign, you rub your
[38:37] Speaker 2: hand against your beard, where your beard would be if
[38:41] Speaker 2: you don't have one, in your rear. That means beer.
[38:45] Speaker 3: Yeah, when you look at some of the words in sign,
[38:48] Speaker 3: like they're very creative how they come up with. It's
[38:51] Speaker 3: like if... When you're learning it, it is very creative
[38:54] Speaker 3: in terms of like visual things, like with your hand
[38:57] Speaker 3: and fingers, and it would make how the actual word sounds.
[39:01] Speaker 2: When you say thank you in sign, and you can say,
[39:04] Speaker 2: as you simultaneously thank you, just try it, people, and
[39:07] Speaker 2: look up what it is if you're listening. It is,
[39:10] Speaker 2: you get the most beautiful reaction because it actually, it
[39:13] Speaker 2: really shows a lot of affection. So it's like, thank you.
[39:15] Speaker 1: That is true.
[39:16] Speaker 2: Like you go past, you go, thank you. People, for whatever,
[39:19] Speaker 2: they get.
[39:19] Speaker 4: Really, Can I say, though, you didn't pick your times
[39:24] Speaker 4: all that great, though. Cooper had left the trip back
[39:27] Speaker 4: in Australia by this point the second last night. in Paris,
[39:31] Speaker 4: we decide, let's go to a Chinese restaurant, okay? Now, one,
[39:35] Speaker 4: there's a few barriers there.
[39:36] Speaker 1: Oh, that was funny.
[39:37] Speaker 4: One, we're at a Chinese restaurant, right? We're in France.
[39:41] Speaker 4: We speak English. English, and he decides to walk in
[39:44] Speaker 4: and do sign language.
[39:46] Speaker 2: Fair play.
[39:47] Speaker 4: That was awkward.
[39:48] Speaker 3: There are so many hurdles to get through.
[39:50] Speaker 4: That was awkward.
[39:51] Speaker 1: Well placed, Jaco.
[39:52] Speaker 4: Hold on, Jaco.
[39:53] Speaker 1: Do you know, my favourite one, though, is excuse me.
[39:56] Speaker 1: So that's running your fingers along the palm of your
[40:00] Speaker 1: left hand.
[40:00] Speaker 2: And you do it interpreted.
[40:02] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[40:03] Speaker 1: But you do it slowly, and it's excuse me, but
[40:05] Speaker 1: if you want to tell someone you've got the shits, like,
[40:07] Speaker 1: excuse me, you do it really quick.
[40:09] Speaker 2: Oh, so it's like– Yeah, I love that. I could
[40:11] Speaker 2: get with a person and a person goes– I go, yeah,
[40:14] Speaker 2: excuse me, or someone bumps into me, I turn.
[40:16] Speaker 1: And go– Yeah, like you've got the shit.
[40:17] Speaker 3: Is it the same with like swear words?
[40:20] Speaker 2: No, it's good because it's like, you know, like a snap,
[40:24] Speaker 2: like a big snap and a yeses. But it is
[40:29] Speaker 2: really good and I reckon it just engages a different–
[40:32] Speaker 2: Different part of your brain.
[40:33] Speaker 1: I think, yeah, it does.
[40:34] Speaker 3: Oh, it definitely would.
[40:34] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[40:35] Speaker 1: But I think it's good to sort of still say
[40:37] Speaker 1: the words and do it so that someone else can
[40:39] Speaker 1: follow you while you're doing your practice.
[40:40] Speaker 3: It's very hard though. I've seen people, I remember I
[40:42] Speaker 3: went to Taronga Zoo and they're doing the bird show
[40:45] Speaker 3: and the guy up there was signing and talking and
[40:47] Speaker 3: I thought, you talk about, it's like that old thing
[40:49] Speaker 3: where you're, Tap on the top of your head and
[40:51] Speaker 3: you're rubbing your belly. Like, is it a blue dress
[40:54] Speaker 3: or a gold dress?
[40:56] Speaker 1: No, it's actually, I think it's easier to do it
[40:58] Speaker 1: and say it, to be honest.
[40:59] Speaker 2: I don't reckon.
[41:00] Speaker 4: I do.
[41:01] Speaker 3: I don't reckon. Well, how would you know you haven't
[41:02] Speaker 3: done it?
[41:02] Speaker 2: Okay, let me have a crack.
[41:04] Speaker 1: Okay, speak this time.
[41:05] Speaker 2: Hi, nice to meet you. Could a table for two, please? Yeah,
[41:10] Speaker 2: it is actually easier. There you go.
[41:13] Speaker 3: That's amazing.
[41:13] Speaker 2: Actually, Trish, you are spot on. Good for you. Good
[41:16] Speaker 2: for you, sister Magno Cavallo.
[41:18] Speaker 3: Sister Trish. Does anyone else have anything from their actual trip?
[41:23] Speaker 2: Twisted sister.
[41:23] Speaker 3: Before we move on to something else.
[41:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, we have to talk about the day that Cooper
[41:29] Speaker 1: booked a lovely, nice, expensive restaurant.
[41:32] Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
[41:32] Speaker 1: Took us to the nice, expensive French restaurant.
[41:36] Speaker 3: It was good.
[41:37] Speaker 1: Ordered it because he saw it on TikTok. And then–
[41:42] Speaker 1: ordered because he wanted to try the whole range of
[41:45] Speaker 1: French foods, frog legs, snails, foie gras, everything. He wanted
[41:52] Speaker 1: to taste it all. So he ordered and we're thinking, oh, bless,
[41:57] Speaker 1: isn't he lovely? He's taking us to lunch.
[41:59] Speaker 2: Our child.
[41:59] Speaker 1: Yeah. So proud of him. Bill comes, throws it at me.
[42:04] Speaker 3: I didn't throw it, slid it.
[42:06] Speaker 1: No, I slid it across the table. I said, oh,
[42:07] Speaker 1: we thought that maybe you were taking us to lunch.
[42:10] Speaker 2: He goes.
[42:10] Speaker 1: No, I didn't even bring my wallet.
[42:12] Speaker 2: It doesn't matter if you slid it through it or
[42:13] Speaker 2: passed it through your ass. The bottom line is you
[42:16] Speaker 2: didn't pay and you didn't offer.
[42:18] Speaker 3: Well, I was outnumbered. There's one of me and then
[42:20] Speaker 3: there's two of you. Naturally, whoever has the more numbers
[42:24] Speaker 3: in that group should pay for the meal. That's my theory.
[42:27] Speaker 4: So you're separating yourself from them two. How does that work?
[42:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, well, shouldn't you just pay for your meal then?
[42:31] Speaker 3: But I'm an adult.
[42:32] Speaker 2: Well, let's say Jem.
[42:33] Speaker 4: That's right.
[42:33] Speaker 2: We went with Jem and Jem, believe it or not,
[42:36] Speaker 2: would offer all the time and a couple of times paid. Yes.
[42:39] Speaker 2: And I just thought, well, what a fantastic person.
[42:41] Speaker 3: Well, that's good for her. I wish I had a
[42:43] Speaker 3: son like her. But was Jack with Jem as well?
[42:45] Speaker 4: Yes.
[42:45] Speaker 2: Yes, he was.
[42:46] Speaker 3: Exactly. Now, this is where my reasoning comes out again.
[42:48] Speaker 3: There's two and two. So Jack and Jem, they're a partnership.
[42:51] Speaker 3: You and Trish, you're a partnership. Therefore, it's equals and
[42:55] Speaker 3: she felt, oh, you know, we'll get this one.
[42:56] Speaker 1: Are you doing sign language too?
[42:57] Speaker 3: No, that was me just doing a diagram for you
[42:59] Speaker 3: guys so you could understand what I'm saying.
[43:01] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[43:02] Speaker 3: But when it's me, it's one versus two, the dominant force.
[43:05] Speaker 3: If you guys could beat me in a fight, 2v1,
[43:06] Speaker 3: do you guys pay for the meal?
[43:07] Speaker 2: Shouldn't be a problem. Trish, you can take that one,
[43:10] Speaker 2: one round victory. And by the way, just get in touch.
[43:12] Speaker 2: Would you do me?
[43:16] Speaker 4: Well, you know what?
[43:17] Speaker 3: Because obviously when we left, the moth infestation was everywhere.
[43:21] Speaker 1: Oh, here in Australia.
[43:22] Speaker 3: There were videos of moths everywhere. When I come back,
[43:26] Speaker 3: the weather app here in Australia said it was raining
[43:29] Speaker 3: every day. The meteorology people, they couldn't decipher whether it
[43:33] Speaker 3: was rain or moths. There was that many moths. So
[43:36] Speaker 3: they'd always predict, oh, it's going to be rain tomorrow.
[43:37] Speaker 3: It might be a 24-degree sunny day. but it was
[43:40] Speaker 3: just moths showing up on the radar.
[43:42] Speaker 1: That's amazing.
[43:42] Speaker 4: It's crazy.
[43:43] Speaker 2: Where do they come from and where do they go?
[43:45] Speaker 4: Well, they die.
[43:46] Speaker 1: They have a short lifespan.
[43:47] Speaker 3: Don't they go ground? They go underground. They live underground,
[43:49] Speaker 3: I think.
[43:49] Speaker 2: Do they?
[43:50] Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure they go underground.
[43:51] Speaker 4: Yeah, I think they go, like they sort of nest
[43:53] Speaker 4: or something like that.
[43:54] Speaker 3: You chat chippity, though.
[43:55] Speaker 4: But they're also saying that on the radars, when the
[43:57] Speaker 4: big moths were going over in cloud, they could see
[44:02] Speaker 4: the moths. They were actually making noises and they just
[44:04] Speaker 4: kept going. They kept reciting Saturday Night by Colt Chisels.
[44:11] Speaker 2: Jack, I'll give you that.
[44:14] Speaker 3: It was so obscure. It was so far-fetched that it
[44:18] Speaker 3: just may have done the job.
[44:20] Speaker 2: Do you know what? It was like his drive from Milan.
[44:22] Speaker 2: Do you get the joke, though? Not really.
[44:25] Speaker 4: No, I didn't. Moths. Ian Moths. Oh.
[44:28] Speaker 1: Nah, it's not even a joke.
[44:30] Speaker 3: That's such a stretch.
[44:31] Speaker 2: Even Albert Einstein couldn't have linked that together.
[44:35] Speaker 4: He was a physicist back then.
[44:36] Speaker 2: The question, people keep butterflies and things like that.
[44:38] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[44:39] Speaker 2: Could you keep a moth as a pet?
[44:41] Speaker 4: No.
[44:42] Speaker 2: No problem.
[44:42] Speaker 3: Could you walk a moth?
[44:43] Speaker 2: Because there's a lady that walks around Collaroy, she's got
[44:46] Speaker 2: a dingo as.
[44:47] Speaker 3: A … That's very different.
[44:48] Speaker 2: I said, yeah, I know, but I mean, it's still
[44:50] Speaker 2: a dingo. It's quite solid in the leg, the dingo.
[44:53] Speaker 3: But it's very hard to get a leash on a moth.
[44:55] Speaker 1: Okay, I've got a little bit of something for you people.
[44:57] Speaker 1: So when I was a kid, I used to collect
[45:00] Speaker 1: the … Gerbils. Cocoons that were hanging off the hydrangeas.
[45:05] Speaker 3: You're a fun kid.
[45:05] Speaker 1: Put them in a jar with holes in the top,
[45:08] Speaker 1: a little science experiment, And wait till they burst out
[45:12] Speaker 1: as a butterfly and then I'd let them go. So
[45:14] Speaker 1: the moth does the same, it's the same cycle, egg, larva,
[45:19] Speaker 1: like caterpillar, pupa, cocoon, and then the adult moth. Now,
[45:23] Speaker 1: interesting fact, adult clothes, adult clothes moths don't actually eat
[45:30] Speaker 1: your clothes. It's their larvae. that do the eating.
[45:33] Speaker 2: Interesting.
[45:34] Speaker 3: Trish, didn't I ask if they go underground?
[45:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I haven't had a chance to check that out.
[45:38] Speaker 2: They go into pockets. Pickpockets. Yeah. It's funny, isn't it?
[45:42] Speaker 2: Like one comes out and it's just beautiful multitude of
[45:46] Speaker 2: colours and the other one comes.
[45:47] Speaker 1: Out just like Stalin.
[45:48] Speaker 3: Moths are dirt, mate. Moths, I don't like moths. I've
[45:51] Speaker 3: always hated moths because they're just dusty.
[45:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, they are dusty. They're annoying. But I must say
[45:55] Speaker 1: I've been catching them and releasing from inside.
[45:57] Speaker 3: Sure you have.
[45:58] Speaker 4: What is it for them?
[45:59] Speaker 1: Some moths actually go underground, although it depends on the species.
[46:02] Speaker 3: Yeah. They're under there.
[46:03] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[46:04] Speaker 2: And by the way, which brings us back, well done
[46:05] Speaker 2: to you, Jack. We underestimated you. You win on that one,
[46:09] Speaker 2: Ian Moth.
[46:10] Speaker 3: Maybe.
[46:11] Speaker 2: You know how.
[46:11] Speaker 4: I'll just say, apparently there is no link between Ian
[46:14] Speaker 4: Moth and moths.
[46:15] Speaker 3: You know how they're saying.
[46:17] Speaker 2: You sound so disappointed.
[46:18] Speaker 3: You know how like.
[46:19] Speaker 2: I backed on that one.
[46:20] Speaker 3: You know how they say like Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg,
[46:22] Speaker 3: they're just so ahead of their time. Maybe Jack's sense
[46:24] Speaker 3: of humour is so ahead of our generation that everyone,
[46:28] Speaker 3: and when I say everyone, I mean literally everyone, thinks
[46:31] Speaker 3: right now he's the most unfunny person. But in 30,
[46:34] Speaker 3: 40 years' time, people will be listening back to this
[46:37] Speaker 3: podcast and there'll be statues of Jack.
[46:39] Speaker 2: In the 22nd century, they'll look back and say the
[46:41] Speaker 2: greatest comedians, guys like Jim Jefferies, Ricky Gervais, Jack Johns.
[46:47] Speaker 3: Have a listen to this.
[46:49] Speaker 4: Actually, I was texting Tommy Birmingham from Hello Sport yesterday.
[46:52] Speaker 4: I was having a real– I went to the city
[46:55] Speaker 4: and went to that Utopia Records. Have you seen that?
[46:57] Speaker 4: It's a massive record shop.
[46:58] Speaker 2: Cool.
[46:59] Speaker 4: And I walked in and the first thing I saw
[47:00] Speaker 4: was a Twisted Sister vinyl. I love it. And I
[47:05] Speaker 4: started laughing to myself because I forgot that before we
[47:07] Speaker 4: went away, we had Billy Birmingham come and he did
[47:11] Speaker 4: the potty, but he'd come and watch the grand final
[47:13] Speaker 4: at our house on grand final night. And Trish's friend
[47:16] Speaker 4: Tash is here.
[47:16] Speaker 3: She's got like almost.
[47:18] Speaker 4: Like lion mane hair like a perm. And when I
[47:22] Speaker 4: saw Trish introduce Tash to Bill, he goes, ah, Dee,
[47:25] Speaker 4: how are you? And I heard him say it all
[47:27] Speaker 4: night and I went, why are you calling her Dee?
[47:30] Speaker 4: And he goes, Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister.
[47:32] Speaker 3: It was such a good niche reference.
[47:34] Speaker 2: He said once, Tash during the game said, what happened there?
[47:37] Speaker 2: And she said, Billy, oh, what was that about? And
[47:39] Speaker 2: he turned and said, what do you want to do
[47:41] Speaker 2: with your life?
[47:43] Speaker 3: He's so quick, eh? He's as quick as I've ever seen.
[47:51] Speaker 2: Oh, anyway.
[47:53] Speaker 1: Okay, now, you came home early, Coopie. I thought we
[47:57] Speaker 1: were wrapping.
[47:58] Speaker 2: Up a podcast.
[47:59] Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. Keep it going.
[48:00] Speaker 2: Let the good times roll.
[48:01] Speaker 1: Because you came home to emcee Sammy Farrell's wedding.
[48:05] Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
[48:05] Speaker 2: That's right.
[48:05] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Quite contrasting to Dad's emceeing of the wedding
[48:08] Speaker 1: in Puglia.
[48:09] Speaker 3: Yeah, well, people were laughing at mine.
[48:11] Speaker 2: Half of them weren't Finns. What dead shits they are.
[48:14] Speaker 3: Well, that Finn Heath was there.
[48:15] Speaker 1: Oh, Finn Finn.
[48:16] Speaker 2: My favourite Finn.
[48:17] Speaker 4: I think Toby Wafido was there as well.
[48:21] Speaker 2: Oh, that's not bad. It's tenuous.
[48:24] Speaker 3: It doesn't work.
[48:25] Speaker 2: Only because people aren't thinking on the same plane.
[48:28] Speaker 3: Finn's up.
[48:28] Speaker 2: I got something. You got something, kid.
[48:30] Speaker 3: Kid, you know what? Jack, I think, you know how
[48:32] Speaker 3: Trish did stand up last year? I think we've got
[48:35] Speaker 3: to get Jack in a stand-up comedy club.
[48:36] Speaker 2: Absolutely.
[48:37] Speaker 3: I think we've got to see it in a room
[48:38] Speaker 3: that hasn't heard of him before and he comes in
[48:42] Speaker 3: fresh eyes, fresh ears just to see.
[48:44] Speaker 2: It's like Kate Moss.
[48:45] Speaker 1: Oh, no, sorry.
[48:46] Speaker 2: She's thin, not Finn. Jack, I'm catching it.
[48:51] Speaker 1: It's contagious.
[48:53] Speaker 2: Don't.
[48:54] Speaker 1: Get a shot against that.
[48:55] Speaker 3: How was it?
[48:56] Speaker 2: Get in touch. Would you do me?
[49:00] Speaker 4: I think Vin Diesel likes NOS.
[49:02] Speaker 3: Vin Diesel. The wedding was very fun. The wedding was
[49:06] Speaker 3: very fun. I was very jet lagged, though. It takes
[49:07] Speaker 3: a while to get– when you're on the lake back,
[49:09] Speaker 3: it takes a while to get over jet lag. Jet
[49:11] Speaker 3: lag's like a different beast.
[49:12] Speaker 1: It took me a while way there too yeah.
[49:15] Speaker 3: But hangovers of hangovers of one thing but jet lag
[49:17] Speaker 3: like it keep it's like five days worth of just
[49:19] Speaker 3: like waking up in the middle of the night so
[49:22] Speaker 3: on sat i was doing mc and sammy's uh obviously
[49:24] Speaker 3: the reception after the ceremony Beautiful ceremony up there in
[49:27] Speaker 3: Sydney's northern beaches.
[49:28] Speaker 2: Shout out to Marky.
[49:29] Speaker 3: Shout out Marky Verrills. Marky Mark. We've had Sammy Verrills.
[49:32] Speaker 3: We've had Verrills on the– he's going to the Roosters
[49:34] Speaker 3: next year as well.
[49:35] Speaker 2: Is he?
[49:35] Speaker 3: Back where he won the comp. Yeah, he's going to
[49:38] Speaker 3: play halfback. Only on 1.4 million. But we went out
[49:43] Speaker 3: there and we spoke about when Sammy came on the potty.
[49:46] Speaker 3: His dad's the most passionate rugby league man you'll ever meet. Mate,
[49:49] Speaker 3: he got up there. He didn't have a single word
[49:51] Speaker 3: in terms of his speech. He goes, that's right, Koops,
[49:53] Speaker 3: just throw it to me. I got this. Spoke for
[49:55] Speaker 3: 25 minutes, Marky. But had the room in stitches the
[49:59] Speaker 3: whole time. Yeah, he did. He did a very good job.
[50:01] Speaker 2: Good work.
[50:01] Speaker 3: On one stage, Sammy was signaling to me, going, get
[50:03] Speaker 3: the effing mic off him. And I said, it's your
[50:06] Speaker 3: fucking dad.
[50:06] Speaker 2: It's your dad.
[50:07] Speaker 3: And it's your wedding day. I can't ever steal the
[50:10] Speaker 3: mic off your dad.
[50:10] Speaker 2: Obviously a lot better than Lotta's father, the Finnish guy,
[50:13] Speaker 2: who did a 15-minute speech in Finnish, had an interpreter
[50:17] Speaker 2: do it in English, and then two Italian peoples there
[50:19] Speaker 2: did an Italian, and then proceeded to play the piano
[50:21] Speaker 2: accordion for 20 minutes. Honestly, it was just, and it
[50:24] Speaker 2: was like a, screeching jazz anyway.
[50:27] Speaker 4: Hey, I'll give it to you. Now that we're a
[50:28] Speaker 4: couple of weeks away, let's be real. He's apparently spent
[50:33] Speaker 4: at least a year working on it.
[50:35] Speaker 2: Two?
[50:35] Speaker 3: Two years?
[50:36] Speaker 4: Yeah, it didn't seem like it.
[50:37] Speaker 1: Oh, look, it was a lovely intention.
[50:39] Speaker 3: It's the thought that counts, guys.
[50:40] Speaker 1: It was beautiful intention.
[50:41] Speaker 2: He was telling the missus he was doing it and
[50:42] Speaker 2: just going down the pub. He wasn't like a beer
[50:45] Speaker 2: drinker either.
[50:46] Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just going to go practice the accordion. That
[50:48] Speaker 3: was the name of the pub, practice the accordion.
[50:51] Speaker 2: Guys. Maybe there's something else he was doing.
[50:53] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[50:54] Speaker 2: Spanking the monkey. Patting the goose.
[50:57] Speaker 3: What he is, I always find.
[50:58] Speaker 4: Taming the tiger.
[51:00] Speaker 3: Before we wrap up.
[51:01] Speaker 2: Shaking hands with the unemployed.
[51:04] Speaker 1: Jeez, you've got lots of names for it.
[51:06] Speaker 3: Before we wrap up. I feel like you go away
[51:11] Speaker 3: and you come back with a fresh perspective, fresh eyes. Yeah.
[51:14] Speaker 3: What did you take away from the trip away?
[51:17] Speaker 1: I've got a few.
[51:18] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[51:18] Speaker 3: Hmm.
[51:20] Speaker 1: Always carry change for the toilet.
[51:23] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's annoying, isn't it? All the public toilets you
[51:25] Speaker 4: have to pay at least one or two euros.
[51:27] Speaker 1: Yeah, so I always had that.
[51:28] Speaker 2: Should I tell my story about what happened, Trish?
[51:30] Speaker 1: You can toilet in a little bit, Matthew. Europe has
[51:34] Speaker 1: had the worst drivers ever.
[51:36] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[51:36] Speaker 1: Don't drive there if you can avoid it. And one
[51:39] Speaker 1: special tip for you, Cooper, don't pee in the bidet.
[51:42] Speaker 1: That's for washing your bits and bobs, not for peeing into.
[51:45] Speaker 4: Yeah, but someone here was– It's cleaning their teeth.
[51:48] Speaker 2: I clean my teeth in the pit.
[51:49] Speaker 3: It's like a shit breath.
[51:53] Speaker 2: Because it got blocked. Remember that? And I went down
[51:56] Speaker 2: there and they went, what are you doing? I said, oh, mate,
[51:58] Speaker 2: it's nothing else.
[51:58] Speaker 1: Oh, we couldn't unplug the sink.
[51:59] Speaker 2: That there, people stick that sometimes in their ass.
[52:03] Speaker 4: They don't.
[52:04] Speaker 2: Well, who knows?
[52:05] Speaker 3: What did you take away, J.M.? Number.
[52:07] Speaker 2: One, don't go to Finland. Number two, I would say
[52:10] Speaker 2: when you go to south of Italy, just pick two
[52:12] Speaker 2: towns because there is a sameness that goes on. And
[52:15] Speaker 2: then number three. You know what?
[52:18] Speaker 1: You can't say that because you actually went to two
[52:20] Speaker 1: towns in the South.
[52:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, very similar though. And the last one, and I–
[52:27] Speaker 2: before you go away in an emergency, watch Jason Bourne.
[52:31] Speaker 2: Do you know how those action heroes can just find
[52:33] Speaker 2: a way? Let me share a story. I'm on the Champs-Élysées,
[52:36] Speaker 2: and when you're in front of any store you go there,
[52:38] Speaker 2: they haven't got toilets or you've got to pay to
[52:40] Speaker 2: go to the toilet. Well, I've seen a McDonald's. I've
[52:44] Speaker 2: got two euro in my hand. I fly in there. Mate,
[52:47] Speaker 2: there is a lineup of 15 people for three toilets.
[52:50] Speaker 2: And I go, oh, no. And I'm literally, I'm about
[52:53] Speaker 2: to piss myself right now. I'm in the fashion capital
[52:58] Speaker 2: of the world. Not good.
[52:59] Speaker 3: Get the harmonica ready.
[53:00] Speaker 2: So I go, I run across, right? Run to the
[53:03] Speaker 2: front of the line. I say to the lady, my
[53:04] Speaker 2: son is about to be sick. Can you give me
[53:07] Speaker 2: a large, you know, hands me a large cup. I go,
[53:10] Speaker 2: what am I going to do? What am I going
[53:11] Speaker 2: to do? So I go to the left and hit
[53:13] Speaker 2: every number. One, because there's four levels. One, two, three, four.
[53:16] Speaker 2: proceed to urinate in the cup while it's going up.
[53:19] Speaker 3: Yeah, but Matt, what if it stopped?
[53:21] Speaker 1: Yeah, and someone came in.
[53:22] Speaker 2: Well, then it would give me time to stop.
[53:24] Speaker 1: Well, it would have stopped at every level.
[53:25] Speaker 2: I was looking to see because it was glass at
[53:27] Speaker 2: the front, so I had my back turned. I was
[53:29] Speaker 2: into a corner, and for me.
[53:30] Speaker 1: You've got a glass front lift, and you're peeing in it.
[53:32] Speaker 2: I felt like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible.
[53:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, except you're urinating in a cup.
[53:37] Speaker 4: Except you're pissing in Impossible. Oh!
[53:41] Speaker 1: Jack, that's a winner.
[53:42] Speaker 3: Jack, that's the podcast name.
[53:44] Speaker 2: That was a good one.
[53:45] Speaker 3: Pissing Impossible. That's the podcast name for this week.
[53:47] Speaker 1: That's brilliant.
[53:47] Speaker 2: I've pissed into wonderful places. You've been arrested.
[53:50] Speaker 3: For it once. Jack, I'm not even just pissing in
[53:53] Speaker 3: your pocket.
[53:53] Speaker 1: That was genius.
[53:54] Speaker 3: That was really, really funny.
[53:56] Speaker 4: Clever.
[53:57] Speaker 3: You're very, very clever.
[53:58] Speaker 1: You're indeed. Blessing my child.
[54:00] Speaker 4: You know what?
[54:01] Speaker 3: It's better than pissing boots, I think.
[54:02] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think.
[54:04] Speaker 3: Okay, you know what my takeaway is?
[54:06] Speaker 1: What is it, buddy?
[54:07] Speaker 3: I wrote this down, and I want you all just
[54:09] Speaker 3: to be quiet when I say this because mine's quite emotional.
[54:11] Speaker 2: All right?
[54:12] Speaker 3: One thing I learned. going away overseas. And I think,
[54:15] Speaker 3: you know, sometimes you go over there and you've had
[54:16] Speaker 3: a long year and you have a very dated perspective.
[54:19] Speaker 3: You go overseas and when you come back, you see
[54:22] Speaker 3: the world in fresh eyes.
[54:23] Speaker 2: Sure, sure.
[54:24] Speaker 3: One thing I wish for everyone, every Australian going overseas,
[54:27] Speaker 3: one thing I came back with, knowing that Australia is
[54:29] Speaker 3: the best country in the world by far.
[54:31] Speaker 2: Fucking amen.
[54:32] Speaker 3: I wouldn't live anywhere else.
[54:33] Speaker 1: Amen.
[54:33] Speaker 3: And on top of that, I always find that right now,
[54:38] Speaker 3: what I'm trying to do is everyone's got their daily routine.
[54:40] Speaker 3: Go to the same coffee shop. Go do this. Go
[54:42] Speaker 3: do that. When you're overseas, one thing you never want
[54:46] Speaker 3: to go to, you don't want to go to the
[54:47] Speaker 3: same restaurant or this and that, go explore new areas.
[54:51] Speaker 2: Gotcha.
[54:51] Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Treat your own area where
[54:53] Speaker 3: you live as though it's a fresh country.
[54:56] Speaker 1: Eat new foods when someone else is paying.
[54:58] Speaker 3: Go to a suburb. Just walk through the streets.
[55:00] Speaker 2: Mate, yesterday, me and Luigi went for a walk, and
[55:03] Speaker 2: I had a look along, and I went, you know what?
[55:05] Speaker 2: I haven't been to that coffee shop, and I walked
[55:06] Speaker 2: in there, and you know what they said to me?
[55:08] Speaker 2: Get out of here, you've got a dog. That's true.
[55:12] Speaker 1: And he was pissed off all day. I said, that's
[55:15] Speaker 1: affected you.
[55:15] Speaker 3: It doesn't take much to piss that off.
[55:18] Speaker 1: Mate, don't offend the dog. Well, you saw what happened
[55:20] Speaker 1: to that woman.
[55:20] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[55:21] Speaker 1: And to make him feel a little bit better, I said, well,
[55:23] Speaker 1: at least you didn't call her what I call that
[55:25] Speaker 1: other woman.
[55:26] Speaker 2: Rhymes with snitch.
[55:28] Speaker 3: Jack, do you have anything to round off the podcast?
[55:30] Speaker 3: You're on fire at the moment.
[55:31] Speaker 2: I tell you, Jack, if I was you, I'd just
[55:33] Speaker 2: go on to be pissing impossible. Yeah.
[55:38] Speaker 4: What have I got for you?
[55:40] Speaker 1: I mean, don't you think that the ultimate test of
[55:43] Speaker 1: a relationship is driving in a foreign land together?
[55:47] Speaker 4: I reckon that would have been– you know what? For me,
[55:50] Speaker 4: it was scary because I had jam in the car.
[55:52] Speaker 4: I reckon I would have been a bit more all
[55:53] Speaker 4: right if it was just me. But on the other
[55:55] Speaker 4: side of the car, you've got someone in the car
[55:56] Speaker 4: with you.
[55:57] Speaker 3: It's a life.
[55:57] Speaker 4: It scares the shit out of you. And the moths,
[56:02] Speaker 4: they're plaguing. So everyone be wary.
[56:04] Speaker 2: Be careful of the moths. If it's someone else, you'll
[56:05] Speaker 2: be worried. Happy Halloween. It's a death wish.
[56:07] Speaker 3: Yeah, happy Halloween, everyone.
[56:09] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[56:10] Speaker 1: I'm excited for it.
[56:11] Speaker 2: Anyway, give us a call. Get in touch with us.
[56:13] Speaker 2: Would you do me? I would. See you.
