[1:05] Speaker 5: Goes, well, I'm not really so sure if I did.
[1:10] Speaker 1: Oh god, succinct and you even did a little bit
[1:14] Speaker 1: of the head yeah, the fat yeah, and if you
[1:17] Speaker 1: don't mind.
[1:18] Speaker 6: It wasn't his idea, it was mine.
[1:19] Speaker 1: Yeah, wowle your own idea, Trisa. Let's do repeat. Let's
[1:23] Speaker 1: still repeat. Let's see it works again. Were you go?

[1:49] Speaker 1: do you think you immersed yourself in the culture? No,
[1:52] Speaker 1: not at all, Matt that way better?
[1:56] Speaker 6: Is that what you wanted? Is that what you wanted?
[2:00] Speaker 4: Get you? Why people divorced you?
[2:04] Speaker 1: A dressed like the taj Mahal itself, So you brought
[2:09] Speaker 1: that over there? Actually got to get the road of fosses.
[2:13] Speaker 6: This will be my new attire. The sorry, the earrings,
[2:18] Speaker 6: the head piece.
[2:19] Speaker 4: Yeah, what's the accent there?
[2:22] Speaker 1: Careful so much? I stopped off an island.
[2:27] Speaker 2: Oh, there's a lot of Irish over there, and they
[2:31] Speaker 2: were a fun group of girls.
[2:33] Speaker 6: Presents I do needy, Okay.
[2:37] Speaker 4: Do you get all these for us over there?
[2:39] Speaker 1: As well?
[2:39] Speaker 6: I did you with yours.
[2:43] Speaker 3: It is the.
[2:44] Speaker 1: Exactly what I wanted.
[2:47] Speaker 6: So what's this head covering?
[2:49] Speaker 3: I just.
[2:51] Speaker 4: So that's what the guy in Harry Potter wore when
[2:53] Speaker 4: he had the door down the front across.
[2:57] Speaker 2: That's it.
[2:57] Speaker 6: That's perfect. You've got a big head, can you not
[3:00] Speaker 6: fitted on Trish?
[3:02] Speaker 4: Of course he don't beat what are you doing? Massive brain?
[3:06] Speaker 6: And he took numerous did oh my god, you're a
[3:10] Speaker 6: picture of Aladdin. And also for you some cards.
[3:18] Speaker 1: To practice what you preached for a while before you
[3:19] Speaker 1: start heading them out.
[3:20] Speaker 6: I know the girls and I were looking through some
[3:23] Speaker 6: of them. We couldn't even work out what can I
[3:25] Speaker 6: have them?
[3:26] Speaker 3: Can I have them? So for the whole throughout the episode,
[3:28] Speaker 3: even if someone's going a random story, I was going
[3:30] Speaker 3: to flash to my camera and I'm not going to
[3:31] Speaker 3: flash a random card at a time.
[3:33] Speaker 6: Are they rated?
[3:36] Speaker 4: How are really are?
[3:39] Speaker 3: I'll blur it out.
[3:40] Speaker 4: And for the boys, you sense we shouldn't give Jack
[3:44] Speaker 4: that sort of responsibility because he's comeding. Timing is horrendous.
[3:49] Speaker 1: No, he's he's he's done it, going to work while
[3:51] Speaker 1: Trish has been away.
[3:52] Speaker 6: That's a nice And the Turban the Turban t shirts
[3:55] Speaker 6: for the boys.
[3:56] Speaker 1: Trish got one for me, so wet suit.
[3:58] Speaker 4: It's that tight my getting getting incense from India that
[4:03] Speaker 4: sort of seems like you can get them here too.
[4:05] Speaker 6: Yes, but not the original Indian incense.
[4:08] Speaker 1: Speak in India and the burning candles as well.
[4:15] Speaker 4: It's a sess not joke.
[4:18] Speaker 1: Is this very much Trisia? What was what was the
[4:21] Speaker 1: highlight of the trip? First? Come on? Tell us whatify?
[4:23] Speaker 1: Because people listening a little bit like there's a lot
[4:27] Speaker 1: of people that haven't been to India that think will
[4:29] Speaker 1: I go?
[4:30] Speaker 3: Will I not?
[4:31] Speaker 1: You know, health safety, all those things? What was like?
[4:34] Speaker 6: Well, none of it? I mean I talk.
[4:35] Speaker 2: I been called Mary Poppins because no matter what ailment
[4:38] Speaker 2: anyone had, you had a sore throat, I had something
[4:40] Speaker 2: in my bag allergies.
[4:42] Speaker 6: I've got it. So but no one got sick.
[4:47] Speaker 2: One of the girls Wrom did, but we actually think
[4:49] Speaker 2: that was because of the malaria tablets. They can actually
[4:52] Speaker 2: make you keep ignauseous. So quite a few of a
[4:55] Speaker 2: selected not to take those.
[4:57] Speaker 3: Were there any signs of that? What's the illness?
[4:59] Speaker 1: Call?
[4:59] Speaker 3: The end? Getting around the mone snippervirus nippers?
[5:01] Speaker 6: No, No, that's down in Wist Bengal, Oh, right, and
[5:05] Speaker 6: we were deadly.
[5:06] Speaker 3: I hated. I hated.
[5:09] Speaker 1: I never did it.
[5:09] Speaker 3: I did it once they tried to get me. Once
[5:11] Speaker 3: they put me in speedos and I pretty much cried
[5:14] Speaker 3: all the.
[5:14] Speaker 2: Way there, and I was glad it's too big Morning
[5:18] Speaker 2: Highlights Trusha, Oh highlights.
[5:22] Speaker 6: The tag was pretty impressive.
[5:24] Speaker 1: I lovely that she's doing.
[5:26] Speaker 4: She knows him personally, she's the building. Yeah, no, thanks, true,
[5:34] Speaker 4: I love that. Like we were watching the super Bowl
[5:36] Speaker 4: halftime show when Trish facetimed us from the tar and
[5:40] Speaker 4: my heal yeah, and she was like, hey, guys, like
[5:42] Speaker 4: I have a look at this, and Dad's going trying
[5:44] Speaker 4: to say just were just in the middle of the
[5:46] Speaker 4: like the super Bowl halftime bad Bunnies on can we
[5:48] Speaker 4: speak to you soon? And she's gon't like flipping the camera.
[5:51] Speaker 4: I wouldn't listen to him. Just go look at it,
[5:53] Speaker 4: look at the tar. We've seen it, We've seen it
[5:55] Speaker 4: on Google images all of our life. We'll talk to
[5:58] Speaker 4: you it give us ten minutes. And then she's trying
[6:00] Speaker 4: to keep she wouldn't let us get off the phone,
[6:01] Speaker 4: like she knew she was. It was half annoying us.
[6:04] Speaker 4: Who's winning the super Bowl Seahawks. Oh wow, that's exciting.
[6:08] Speaker 1: That's the shock.
[6:08] Speaker 4: Not really, there were a dollar twenty.
[6:11] Speaker 1: I don't speak like that, lady, gay.
[6:15] Speaker 3: I did.
[6:15] Speaker 6: I checked onto that. I didn't love it average.
[6:19] Speaker 2: I didn't think that song that she did with a
[6:22] Speaker 2: Latino influence suited that song, so therefore didn't.
[6:26] Speaker 6: Yeah, she just went along to it.
[6:30] Speaker 4: I was just watching Jack go through the deck of
[6:33] Speaker 4: Karmastruger cards and he's facial expressed.
[6:36] Speaker 2: He was just like, we were a group of you know,
[6:40] Speaker 2: mature women. We could not figure out how the hell
[6:43] Speaker 2: some of these things are happening.
[6:44] Speaker 4: Had to be a ConTroll sugars on conists.
[6:49] Speaker 1: Suppose that we were with the contortionist brother and of course, yeah,
[6:53] Speaker 1: shared our Calum Wishart.
[6:55] Speaker 4: Yeah shared Callum.
[6:56] Speaker 1: We asked him, can you do the same things? And
[6:58] Speaker 1: unfortunately it was born with a double job.
[7:02] Speaker 4: Well he didn't have his ribs removed.
[7:03] Speaker 6: Oh man. The Gunges was also very good.
[7:09] Speaker 2: The Gananjas yes, as we call it, okay, ver nassy,
[7:15] Speaker 2: very nasty.
[7:16] Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean it also at the same time, like
[7:18] Speaker 6: it was really beautiful.
[7:20] Speaker 2: But at the same time, if there was one of
[7:22] Speaker 2: the places I didn't go that would be the one
[7:24] Speaker 2: I'd take off.
[7:25] Speaker 1: OK. So that's the place traditional seeks. That's where they
[7:28] Speaker 1: burned the bodies the Hindus.
[7:30] Speaker 2: And no, you were saying that, No, well, I don't
[7:36] Speaker 2: know where that is. It's not happening there. But the
[7:38] Speaker 2: Ganges itself, the river, I mean, you wouldn't go swimming
[7:41] Speaker 2: in it. But of course it was low tide on
[7:44] Speaker 2: one side of it, like there were camels and people
[7:47] Speaker 2: set up tents and they were camping there and was
[7:49] Speaker 2: riding on it. But in them during them monsoon that
[7:51] Speaker 2: totally fills that. That sand isn't there. But there's literally
[7:55] Speaker 2: two credatoriums along the Gunges.
[7:57] Speaker 3: Oh you see them?
[7:58] Speaker 4: Can you go in there?
[8:00] Speaker 6: You see them, they're right there.
[8:01] Speaker 4: They're public and you see people.
[8:04] Speaker 1: Yes, smell the burning bodies, Yeah, terrible, the appetite.
[8:08] Speaker 4: Smell that smell.
[8:10] Speaker 2: They put sandal ward and rosemary and all these other
[8:13] Speaker 2: things in so it doesn't smell like burning flesh and hair,
[8:16] Speaker 2: but it's just it's just pungent. And that night all
[8:19] Speaker 2: these boats come in. But the interesting thing, the interesting
[8:23] Speaker 2: thing I want to tell you about that they're privately
[8:25] Speaker 2: owned crematoriums. There's only two there but currently the government
[8:29] Speaker 2: is building their own right beside them, because because these crematoriums,
[8:34] Speaker 2: look at the total monopoly, they're owned by the one
[8:36] Speaker 2: family of the lowest class too, but they owned that land.
[8:40] Speaker 3: And in Ozark, it's quite handy he owns because he
[8:44] Speaker 3: obviously laund his money. He actually owns a crematorium. And
[8:47] Speaker 3: it's very handy if you've got a lot of enemies
[8:49] Speaker 3: to own a crematorium to get away a bit of murder,
[8:52] Speaker 3: very handy.
[8:53] Speaker 4: And like you said, the smell of hair, remember we
[8:56] Speaker 4: used to do it, like when you burn your mate's
[8:58] Speaker 4: hair at school or something like that.
[8:59] Speaker 1: With the lighter.
[9:00] Speaker 4: There's a joke stinks like can stink a.
[9:04] Speaker 1: Smell of burning liver to that's not nice, but I
[9:07] Speaker 1: mean it's a good business opening crematorium are literally dying
[9:10] Speaker 1: to get in.
[9:11] Speaker 4: Mad people people, dad, people died.
[9:14] Speaker 1: Awful, we're all going there.
[9:16] Speaker 2: But the other thing is like there is the belief
[9:19] Speaker 2: that people burn the bodies on the river. That's like
[9:22] Speaker 2: a Viking thing. That doesn't happen. What they do they
[9:25] Speaker 2: wrap the bodies in orange cloth and they submerge it
[9:29] Speaker 2: in the river because they find that it's holy. And
[9:32] Speaker 2: then the burning occurs after that. Four hundred kilos of
[9:36] Speaker 2: hardened mango.
[9:38] Speaker 4: Would interesting hardened mango would And.
[9:41] Speaker 6: You've got to try and have the body cremated within
[9:44] Speaker 6: five hours of death. You have to, so they'll travel use.
[9:47] Speaker 1: A cut and find that you might be just having
[9:49] Speaker 1: a snooze.
[9:50] Speaker 6: Yeah, Matt, you're so reverent. Irreverent?
[9:55] Speaker 4: What does that mean?
[9:56] Speaker 6: He knows what it means.
[9:57] Speaker 4: What does it mean?
[9:58] Speaker 3: It means?
[9:59] Speaker 1: Lie, he's now the other person where we oftentimes go
[10:03] Speaker 1: on trips. We're about to go on one. The boys
[10:06] Speaker 1: and I with Brian Fletcher. You're away with with Brian's wife,
[10:10] Speaker 1: Britt Fletcher has similarities between Brian and Britt.
[10:13] Speaker 6: She is joy in human form, really human. Oh my gosh.
[10:18] Speaker 6: She has a contagious laugh. She just has his zest
[10:22] Speaker 6: for life. She's the best lover.
[10:24] Speaker 2: And all the other girls were great, And I didn't
[10:26] Speaker 2: know a lot of the other girls. Now I've got
[10:27] Speaker 2: thirteen whole new friends.
[10:29] Speaker 4: You need more.
[10:30] Speaker 1: You're driving them mad, I don't think so.
[10:32] Speaker 4: Did you like did you have fun? Like? Did you
[10:35] Speaker 4: go out and stuff over there? Like? What was the drinking?
[10:38] Speaker 6: We did a fair amount of drinking.
[10:39] Speaker 2: Who knew that India creates its own very good rac They.
[10:45] Speaker 4: Have red wine over there.
[10:46] Speaker 6: They have red wine over their cabinet shrats, what are they?
[10:49] Speaker 3: Out of the.
[10:51] Speaker 1: Environment.
[10:52] Speaker 6: There is a there is an area I can't remember
[10:54] Speaker 6: what the name.
[10:54] Speaker 4: Is, which crematorium.
[10:57] Speaker 6: No, that's an X for you.
[11:00] Speaker 1: What the hell was She's like out of line, she's
[11:03] Speaker 1: lost comedic timing over there? She had it to begin with?
[11:06] Speaker 1: What about that?
[11:07] Speaker 6: That was very funny? In India, you asked the girls.
[11:09] Speaker 4: Well, okay, so that's the country. That's your demographic, the
[11:12] Speaker 4: Indian people.
[11:13] Speaker 1: There are differences between I find there are difference to
[11:16] Speaker 1: It's not saying one's right and one's wrong. It's difference
[11:18] Speaker 1: between the male and female humor. Absolutely there, yea, there
[11:21] Speaker 1: is funny.
[11:25] Speaker 3: One of these cards called rising position. Now I can't
[11:27] Speaker 3: show this, but I'm going to pass around everyone give
[11:30] Speaker 3: a description of what you would call it. I'd call
[11:33] Speaker 3: it drill press.
[11:36] Speaker 4: Is that like some sort of a karmas struts are
[11:39] Speaker 4: just letting everyone know, that's like the book of Tantras
[11:42] Speaker 4: sex position.
[11:42] Speaker 2: That's exactly right, you know. I would just say she's
[11:48] Speaker 2: quite agile and he's quite lazy.
[11:51] Speaker 4: Roger, Oh yeah, yeah, mate, This is how I was conceived,
[11:59] Speaker 4: wasn't it.
[12:00] Speaker 3: I'll look at that.
[12:02] Speaker 1: Actually, yeah, it's actually you know, it's like a beasting. Sorry,
[12:07] Speaker 1: actually it's like too toyrant wish I was just tied
[12:09] Speaker 1: up together. Hostage got a rising position for three of hearts.
[12:14] Speaker 2: Yeah, well see I thought that I them because I
[12:17] Speaker 2: thought then you might start playing cards with me having.
[12:19] Speaker 1: To play cards with it tonight.
[12:20] Speaker 4: So they're playing cards.
[12:23] Speaker 3: There, they're playing you know what I mean, I get it.
[12:29] Speaker 1: Mother hopefully will have a game of poker.
[12:34] Speaker 6: I don't know how to play poker.
[12:37] Speaker 3: Maybe a bit to hold them as well, Yeah, you
[12:40] Speaker 3: hold them, I don't mind.
[12:42] Speaker 4: Hopefully they're twenty one.
[12:47] Speaker 6: Oh you're not funny.
[12:48] Speaker 4: Sorry, I'm so sorry.
[12:50] Speaker 6: So I was over with and like, we get these
[12:53] Speaker 6: phone calls. So I get the or the fridge is broken.
[12:57] Speaker 1: Next minute, don't talk like that.
[13:00] Speaker 6: She gets right on the phone. The oven's gone.
[13:03] Speaker 1: Oh so he did the oven?
[13:05] Speaker 7: Din?
[13:06] Speaker 6: Yeah, I went, what the hell are these idiots doing?
[13:09] Speaker 4: I had a theory that you like enjoy the chaos
[13:13] Speaker 4: of us when you leave, you sort of purposely, like
[13:16] Speaker 4: you know, might do a little bit of damage. So
[13:18] Speaker 4: that after like six days, she starts falling apart, so
[13:21] Speaker 4: subconsciously we all feel like we need her.
[13:24] Speaker 6: Yeah, what else fell apart?
[13:25] Speaker 3: One reckon, I'm seeing to myself she's done something to
[13:30] Speaker 3: the fridge. It was like two days after she left
[13:32] Speaker 3: too that you know, it's been you know, it's like
[13:35] Speaker 3: just waiting. It's like a trip mine waiting to happen. Bang,
[13:39] Speaker 3: where's Trush? We need her?
[13:41] Speaker 1: Yeah you do you manipulator? Okay, like stereotypes of India
[13:45] Speaker 1: which aren't fear but people you know, like going to
[13:48] Speaker 1: toilet on the street and that sort did see me
[13:50] Speaker 1: that you wouldn't have seen it.
[13:52] Speaker 7: Ah.
[13:52] Speaker 6: We saw some guys peeing along the streets.
[13:55] Speaker 1: Reject give me a look.
[13:56] Speaker 3: No, I'm looking at the position of your legs.
[14:00] Speaker 6: Saw men. We saw a man walking along the street naked.
[14:03] Speaker 2: I didn't see him actually, as we were driving between
[14:05] Speaker 2: cities at one point photo Sharonassi. There was some weird
[14:10] Speaker 2: things seen, oh in Varanassi like and they're just doing
[14:15] Speaker 2: it to get photos to get money there and they're
[14:18] Speaker 2: old men and they paint their body in like white paint.
[14:22] Speaker 3: They might be ahead of their time because only fans
[14:23] Speaker 3: over here is killing Well that's it.
[14:27] Speaker 6: And Britt did pay him to take a photo. Was
[14:30] Speaker 6: a designated.
[14:31] Speaker 4: Photographers dangerous dangerous anytime feel unsafe.
[14:34] Speaker 2: For that, let's say there's time. Well, we always had
[14:38] Speaker 2: guides with us and Australian guide.
[14:40] Speaker 4: And a.
[14:42] Speaker 2: Beautiful Indian guy. We felt quite protected. Oh yeah, yeah,
[14:46] Speaker 2: we didn't feel at all. I can imagine why the girls.
[14:50] Speaker 2: One night, a couple a few of the girls had
[14:52] Speaker 2: to leave early because someone wasn't feeling well and they
[14:55] Speaker 2: were put in a car and an uber to go
[14:58] Speaker 2: back to our hotel el. And they said it was
[15:01] Speaker 2: quite scary because they were men banging on the Yeah,
[15:05] Speaker 2: whereas usually we were in a bus seat so we're
[15:07] Speaker 2: up higher.
[15:08] Speaker 6: But because they were in an uber and they were on.
[15:10] Speaker 2: Street level that was in old Deerly though, that's quite
[15:14] Speaker 2: That would be a place you wouldn't go on your.
[15:17] Speaker 1: Because I mean, every city's got places you just don't
[15:19] Speaker 1: go to. You can stumble into them sometimes, an any
[15:23] Speaker 1: other things you can share with.
[15:24] Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know what the other thing is like,
[15:26] Speaker 2: Britt was getting beautiful messages from her kids saying, oh Mom,
[15:30] Speaker 2: come home, we miss you.
[15:32] Speaker 6: When you're home, You're never going away again. Dad sucks
[15:36] Speaker 6: made you've always I don't even to hear anything from
[15:38] Speaker 6: you because that rules.
[15:40] Speaker 1: Rules, girls rule.
[15:42] Speaker 4: It was it was just fun to I suppose we
[15:46] Speaker 4: shouldn't say that. I mean it, it wasn't fun. It
[15:48] Speaker 4: was nice to have a break from each other, right.
[15:52] Speaker 6: Buddy, I know what you mean, and I'm very pleased
[15:55] Speaker 6: your head doesn't.
[15:57] Speaker 4: Fletcher's kids like young, How well are they?
[16:00] Speaker 6: The girls are like twenty nineteen fifteen.
[16:03] Speaker 3: It's getting crazy now, pretty I remember remember when we
[16:06] Speaker 3: were we were younger, we finished school. Now all the
[16:09] Speaker 3: hind Marshs and all the Fletchers they're like all like
[16:11] Speaker 3: finished school now it's wigging me out. Yeah, yeah, all
[16:14] Speaker 3: the hind Marsh boys, like remember when they had that skit.
[16:17] Speaker 3: Remember when I was off to work and they had
[16:18] Speaker 3: that skit where used a babysitting them, Remember copying in
[16:22] Speaker 3: the road. And then now they're all bloody eighteen nineteen
[16:25] Speaker 3: and they're all playing footy. It's crazy once.
[16:27] Speaker 1: Playing for Penrith Buster they're all best six for two
[16:30] Speaker 1: six three.
[16:30] Speaker 4: The wise man once told me, right, like life life short,
[16:34] Speaker 4: and as you get older, life actually accelerates and it
[16:36] Speaker 4: gets quicker.
[16:37] Speaker 3: I believe that I do. I do that.
[16:41] Speaker 4: Dad says that to me once a week or like
[16:43] Speaker 4: whenever he's it's a funny fortnight. Now's your handsome?
[16:47] Speaker 6: That HATNet?
[16:49] Speaker 7: Oh it really is.
[16:50] Speaker 6: It's gorgeous. The colors.
[16:51] Speaker 4: Well, me and Dad were in lived golf on the weekend, which.
[16:55] Speaker 6: Is quite contrasting to they.
[16:58] Speaker 4: Are, but like because me and Dad were rooming together.
[17:01] Speaker 4: So the fact the things that I've started, like, first
[17:06] Speaker 4: of all, Dad's Dad's ability to retell a story is
[17:08] Speaker 4: unmatched like anyone else, like he's but we knew that,
[17:12] Speaker 4: like he'll he'll guarantee he'll tell a story on today's
[17:15] Speaker 4: podcast that he told with Marty last week. He's just unbelievable,
[17:19] Speaker 4: just giving him a good run for his money today.
[17:21] Speaker 3: Yes she is.
[17:22] Speaker 4: But like Dad, maybe just the most O c D
[17:26] Speaker 4: person I've ever met in my life could be the
[17:30] Speaker 4: most to it to it like have you checked me in?
[17:35] Speaker 4: You know, hangs up, it goes into a room, hangs
[17:38] Speaker 4: up all of his stuff like.
[17:39] Speaker 6: Put annoying, so dependent annoying. Now I don't do it.
[17:45] Speaker 3: He is so dependent on you, like seriously, even the
[17:48] Speaker 3: day when you're off, you're off to a gig, Matthew,
[17:51] Speaker 3: and he's uber logged itself out. It was honestly to
[17:55] Speaker 3: do that. Either it was like Chernobyl, Yeah, all right,
[18:03] Speaker 3: logging to.
[18:04] Speaker 1: You, but it was, Yeah, I just feel a fill
[18:08] Speaker 1: off balance I was when we're white. I just kept checking,
[18:10] Speaker 1: took the charges I packed that they kept in a
[18:13] Speaker 1: bag about I reckon at the airport eight or nine times.
[18:15] Speaker 1: Then got in there and I just made sure I
[18:17] Speaker 1: put all the clothes in ascending order and then ascending
[18:21] Speaker 1: how so ascending so upwards?
[18:26] Speaker 3: Yeah, but how.
[18:31] Speaker 6: On a wardrobe black straight?
[18:32] Speaker 1: How do you.
[18:35] Speaker 4: Just don't find it if you're calor coded or what. No,
[18:38] Speaker 4: he's like, I get, yeah, he's actually wrong what he's saying,
[18:41] Speaker 4: but just everything, everything he says is wrong.
[18:43] Speaker 3: Just letting go and it sounds so damn.
[18:46] Speaker 1: Good though head And then at the end of the
[18:49] Speaker 1: second day, the lady came up and said, someone has
[18:51] Speaker 1: just checked out of their room. There's a speed room,
[18:52] Speaker 1: which one wants to take it. I said, please please
[18:56] Speaker 1: take the other room because I'd have to pack everything
[18:58] Speaker 1: up put them back in the room order.
[19:00] Speaker 4: But first of all, he goes, So she comes down,
[19:02] Speaker 4: she goes, oh, because like the running joke of the
[19:05] Speaker 4: weekend with everyone there was that like we're rooming together,
[19:07] Speaker 4: which is like just so weird.
[19:09] Speaker 7: And then.
[19:12] Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no, I didn't.
[19:14] Speaker 4: Sorry, guys, I didn't know you were so upperclass that
[19:16] Speaker 4: burping wasn't a natural thing.
[19:19] Speaker 6: Oh you didn't apologize, you didn't.
[19:21] Speaker 4: Try and just had to get just snuck out to
[19:23] Speaker 4: say a loon. Now it's going back down below. Yeah,
[19:26] Speaker 4: and then Dad goes, oh, no, we're all right, wil No, No,
[19:30] Speaker 4: we're not all right. And then he was like oh
[19:32] Speaker 4: and then we had like this mini argument in front
[19:34] Speaker 4: of her. He's like, it's pretty nice waking up to
[19:36] Speaker 4: you every morning, and we're a little bit we're a
[19:38] Speaker 4: little bit hungover, and you know, we saw we sort
[19:40] Speaker 4: of help each other out. And I went, dude, like,
[19:42] Speaker 4: that's fine, but we've had two nights together.
[19:45] Speaker 1: At the end of the first morning after a first
[19:48] Speaker 1: night out, we'll talk about that in a second. Coop woke.
[19:51] Speaker 1: Coop come home late and in the morning and I said, hey,
[19:56] Speaker 1: you go mate pretty quickly, not that good. I said,
[19:59] Speaker 1: we listen, we you have to get up and get
[20:01] Speaker 1: going pretty soon to it. Let's get up, let's go
[20:03] Speaker 1: and have a swim. Coops like yep, and as we're
[20:06] Speaker 1: as we're swimming in the water down there. I said, mate,
[20:08] Speaker 1: it isn't nice to room together. We can just elevate
[20:11] Speaker 1: each other. That was right, And then by day three,
[20:13] Speaker 1: basically he'd moved out on me.
[20:17] Speaker 4: I'm a young single man. Had to just keep keep
[20:19] Speaker 4: the options open, you know.
[20:20] Speaker 3: I love it, Yeah, I love it. A couple of
[20:22] Speaker 3: days ago to like the day after you've got back,
[20:24] Speaker 3: you looked just looked horrendous. To when you walked in
[20:27] Speaker 3: the door. Cooper went off to the Gold Coast the
[20:29] Speaker 3: day after they got back, and Dad was just teeing
[20:32] Speaker 3: up the entire time. We kept coming up to me, going, pool,
[20:35] Speaker 3: tell you what feel bad for Cooper? Right now? Jeezy
[20:38] Speaker 3: be hurting? Oh yeah, he was giving me the whole
[20:41] Speaker 3: guys he reckons. You'd be battling along.
[20:42] Speaker 1: It was tough. So we drove back from the airport.
[20:44] Speaker 1: Then you had to turn around, you had to go
[20:45] Speaker 1: back to the airport for a shoot. Then you had
[20:47] Speaker 1: to get a Gold Coast. Yeah.
[20:49] Speaker 4: And in the context of my big weekends, that's pretty
[20:53] Speaker 4: it's got to be.
[20:53] Speaker 1: It's top three.
[20:55] Speaker 4: It was top three. I was going pretty hard.
[20:56] Speaker 6: And it was Sunday, Sunday night and.
[20:58] Speaker 4: I went hard early, like we got to their Friday
[21:00] Speaker 4: afternoon first night fever and I just like, yeah, really
[21:06] Speaker 4: really turned it on. Hadn't even been to the golf yet.
[21:08] Speaker 1: You can back this up.
[21:09] Speaker 3: I was.
[21:09] Speaker 1: I left about midnight that yeah, yeah, walked in. I said,
[21:12] Speaker 1: not really my scenes for a middle aged man turn
[21:14] Speaker 1: around gone yeah.
[21:15] Speaker 4: Yeah he did. And it was like we had a
[21:17] Speaker 4: fun little crew, myself, Munster, a couple of the other
[21:20] Speaker 4: boys and dad. Dad kind of did put his he out.
[21:23] Speaker 4: He went back home and did I run.
[21:25] Speaker 1: Into this group of guys, this young band who were
[21:27] Speaker 1: about to go to Japan and play history. I remember
[21:31] Speaker 1: it's Don West and I told him the history it's
[21:34] Speaker 1: local bloke, local Don West.
[21:36] Speaker 3: Shout out.
[21:36] Speaker 6: That's Jesse West.
[21:38] Speaker 4: West's cousin.
[21:40] Speaker 3: Us. Yeah.
[21:40] Speaker 4: Yeah, he's huge, over and done. He's like a jaz
[21:43] Speaker 4: singer and he's he's listening to Northern Beaches. He's big
[21:45] Speaker 4: over in the UK and America, big here, but.
[21:48] Speaker 1: Him the history of Japan is running the history of
[21:50] Speaker 1: Japan in two minutes. Yeah, he went, oh, okay, three mates,
[21:54] Speaker 1: And after I told him I was working for Reaction,
[21:55] Speaker 1: that went okay, good one.
[21:58] Speaker 3: I think his brother sells tuna.
[22:00] Speaker 1: It's John West.
[22:03] Speaker 4: You'd usually look that coop, no Jack. That was a joke, Dad,
[22:07] Speaker 4: and I was playing along. Usually you get that. You
[22:09] Speaker 4: got to stop drinking, mate, I'm worried about I'll.
[22:12] Speaker 1: Say the big mistake. On the first night, we're all
[22:15] Speaker 1: sitting there just having a beer a months ago, let's
[22:17] Speaker 1: have express Martinis. Yeah, okay, brought him in a kid,
[22:22] Speaker 1: You're not. They were served that the Expresso Martinez with
[22:25] Speaker 1: literally a fist full of cream on top, and then
[22:29] Speaker 1: I couldn't even get through it, and the Monster's order
[22:31] Speaker 1: another round, and we all that night were vomiting.
[22:34] Speaker 3: Yeah, it was.
[22:35] Speaker 1: It was so bad. It was so sickening.
[22:38] Speaker 4: It was you know what else was so bad that
[22:40] Speaker 4: the first drink when we got in there, Dad got
[22:41] Speaker 4: the first round. You got us all and I know
[22:44] Speaker 4: you want to keep this out, but I refused to
[22:46] Speaker 4: let you get away with this. After trying to blame Monthster,
[22:48] Speaker 4: why is everyone was sick? You got us a pint
[22:51] Speaker 4: of beer each and a shot of tequila as our
[22:53] Speaker 4: first drink.
[22:54] Speaker 1: Well, I got a Guinness. I'll get you Guinness.
[22:56] Speaker 4: And Munster had never had a Guinness before, and he
[22:59] Speaker 4: was like oh, I don't know if I can do
[23:01] Speaker 4: a Guinness and they guess, oh, you love it. The
[23:03] Speaker 4: trick is you got the first sip, has to stow
[23:07] Speaker 4: down to the label and you've got to try to
[23:08] Speaker 4: split it. Yeah yeah, which is everyone new. But Dad
[23:12] Speaker 4: sort of said it like he was the first one
[23:14] Speaker 4: to discover originator.
[23:16] Speaker 6: Well, since Monster said he'd never had a Guinness, I
[23:18] Speaker 6: can understand why he thought.
[23:20] Speaker 4: So.
[23:20] Speaker 6: Really conflicting cultures there, mother, brother.
[23:25] Speaker 2: So mother, like the Irish with the Mexican.
[23:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, true, the Cactus with the Mexican. Well the
[23:35] Speaker 1: other one. Mate live golf itself. I must say to people,
[23:38] Speaker 1: it's magic round in Adelaide for golf, and I'm not
[23:42] Speaker 1: a golfer. I don't watch the golf. It was sensational.
[23:46] Speaker 1: It's like that your late seventies when World Series Cricket
[23:49] Speaker 1: come in, made the music playing made just the whole atmosphere.
[23:54] Speaker 1: It was insane, it was good.
[23:55] Speaker 4: It was going shout out of the ripper house. So
[23:57] Speaker 4: that's where we were. That's like Cam Smith, that Cameron Smith,
[24:01] Speaker 4: the golfer. That's his sort of club, like that's the
[24:04] Speaker 4: team that he plays for. They actually won overall on
[24:06] Speaker 4: the team amount, so we got to celebrate with them
[24:08] Speaker 4: on the Sunday. But an awesome crew and shout out
[24:12] Speaker 4: to Nick, NICKI Jacobs, Nick Adams, Nick Adams, I missed
[24:17] Speaker 4: up with Nick Jacobs. Yeah, who's Nick Jacobs? Someone?
[24:20] Speaker 1: Yeah it is No, it's not.
[24:23] Speaker 4: Shout out Nick looked after us. But Cam Smith actually
[24:25] Speaker 4: to be with Cam Smith on the Sunday and he
[24:28] Speaker 4: was telling his best mate Dave listens to the potty
[24:31] Speaker 4: and he was there could have been the dunkest bloke
[24:33] Speaker 4: in Adelaide as well, just quietly Dave. And they're also
[24:36] Speaker 4: the biggest rugby league supporters like Cam and Dave just
[24:39] Speaker 4: had rugby league questions for everyone. Cameron Smith actually said
[24:42] Speaker 4: he goes. I said, oh, would you rather be a
[24:45] Speaker 4: golfer or a rugby league player? He said, if I
[24:47] Speaker 4: could put the six on for the Broncos tomorrow or
[24:50] Speaker 4: give it all up, which is because you said he
[24:52] Speaker 4: just grew up wanted to be a rugby league player
[24:54] Speaker 4: so bad, and which I find so funny because all
[24:57] Speaker 4: the rugby league players they'd all switch for golf tomorrow.
[25:00] Speaker 4: The golf lifestyle is the best sport of anyone. You
[25:02] Speaker 4: don't have to not doing pre season. You're getting run
[25:04] Speaker 4: out by everyone and you just win bulk amount of coins.
[25:07] Speaker 1: So friend that Scottish Scheffler come over and had to
[25:10] Speaker 1: chat Young Elvis, the Scottish.
[25:12] Speaker 4: Scheffler Dad, Scott Ship. Scott Scheffler's from the US. He
[25:18] Speaker 4: wasn't he wasn't even competing in the tournament. So here
[25:20] Speaker 4: was a chatting deal Mark, Mark Leishman, Joe and Joel.
[25:27] Speaker 3: And earlier in the week he told Fletching Joel that
[25:33] Speaker 3: scottis Cheffler loves Fletching. Heindy and he was coming up
[25:36] Speaker 3: to telling him.
[25:37] Speaker 4: That no way, Scottish Scheffler is like one of He's
[25:40] Speaker 4: like an American and one of the biggest golfers in
[25:42] Speaker 4: the world. Did you think that whole time you were
[25:44] Speaker 4: talking to scottis Cheffler. That's Mark Leishman. He's part of
[25:48] Speaker 4: the Ripper team.
[25:49] Speaker 1: He was made. He was a great guy. But it's
[25:51] Speaker 1: funny a few of the golfers come back, mate, there
[25:54] Speaker 1: you going, Fletcher Height, he come down here, Young Elvis,
[25:59] Speaker 1: mate tears it champion bloke and as he's camera Smith's
[26:04] Speaker 1: his dad and do you know your name? Yeah?
[26:07] Speaker 6: Please please?
[26:08] Speaker 4: You see him Green eggs and hand.
[26:11] Speaker 1: He mate, champion bloke. We mate. We bonded at one point.
[26:15] Speaker 1: When you're at the after party, he said, mate, all
[26:17] Speaker 1: the golfers Kemp Smith sold me in there he goes years.
[26:21] Speaker 1: So I walked in. He goes, mate, good to see
[26:22] Speaker 1: you again. Thanks for coming, I said, mate, You're the
[26:24] Speaker 1: only reason I come here. He said, bullshit. I said here, mate,
[26:27] Speaker 1: look at the text. He mate, Oh made that? Thanks
[26:31] Speaker 1: made that means a lot.
[26:33] Speaker 4: You actually did. They were inseparable. My favorite thing, like
[26:36] Speaker 4: because Dad had caught up with Dave Gleeson obviously from
[26:38] Speaker 4: the Screaming Jets early that day, so he was out
[26:40] Speaker 4: having beers with Glease. I said, you got to come
[26:42] Speaker 4: to the after party. Like everyone at the ripper house
[26:44] Speaker 4: or the golfers, they want to They want to meet
[26:46] Speaker 4: you and have a beer with you. And Dad walked in.
[26:48] Speaker 4: He was well hydrated, and Dad's walking through. Obviously you
[26:52] Speaker 4: know what Dad's like, Jack, He's just got a fact
[26:54] Speaker 4: for everything, Like, so he walks in. Obviously he thought
[26:57] Speaker 4: it was scottis Cheffler was Mark Leishman, but him and
[27:00] Speaker 4: Mark were wrapped around each other, just talking for hours
[27:03] Speaker 4: and hours, and as Dad was making a way over
[27:05] Speaker 4: our us. I was with Nick Callum, Wishart and Falcon
[27:09] Speaker 4: from The Spider Unemployed. You know him Jack, who's an
[27:12] Speaker 4: absolute legend, such a good crew. And he goes, oh,
[27:15] Speaker 4: here he can't Falcon's and here he comes your dad,
[27:16] Speaker 4: And I said, Falcon, Dad's big thing in life is
[27:20] Speaker 4: if you've been to a country or something. He wants
[27:22] Speaker 4: a fact on every country. My dad wants to have
[27:25] Speaker 4: a fun fact on every country so we can have
[27:27] Speaker 4: a conversation with anyone about any geographical location. So I said,
[27:31] Speaker 4: pick the niches country you can and say you've just
[27:34] Speaker 4: come back from there, and just see if he's got
[27:37] Speaker 4: a fact for it. And he goes, right, he come
[27:41] Speaker 4: up with Chad. Chads, it's like a tiny country in.
[27:44] Speaker 1: Landlock Country in Africa, in Africa.
[27:46] Speaker 4: So Dad comes out. He goes, yeah, boys, Callum, what's
[27:48] Speaker 4: going on. He goes, oh, man, he just just tell
[27:51] Speaker 4: him the boys about I just come back from Chad
[27:53] Speaker 4: last week. And Dad goes. I see Dad's face. He
[27:56] Speaker 4: has no idea like a fact on Chad. And all
[27:58] Speaker 4: he could say was Chad, what the fuck do you
[28:02] Speaker 4: go there? He goes, not on my bucket list?
[28:06] Speaker 1: And then then it walked away, but then again not
[28:08] Speaker 1: the Central African Republic who.
[28:13] Speaker 4: That was funny And I want to apologize to the
[28:15] Speaker 4: They had a golf simulator at Livgolf.
[28:17] Speaker 1: This is this is the best I had that.
[28:20] Speaker 4: And they said to me, Paps and months, so they go,
[28:23] Speaker 4: can you just come and have a hit on it,
[28:24] Speaker 4: like they must have just been getting people through have
[28:27] Speaker 4: a hit and then just take a photo with the simulator.
[28:29] Speaker 4: We went, sweep, we come have it here.
[28:31] Speaker 3: Now.
[28:31] Speaker 4: This was the night after I'd had one of the
[28:33] Speaker 4: great nights on Friday nights, so I was like still
[28:35] Speaker 4: recovering through. I was sweaty. It was that hot in Adelaide.
[28:38] Speaker 4: It's like thirty six degrees.
[28:40] Speaker 1: So we walk in there.
[28:41] Speaker 4: Monster gets it's closest to the pin, like must gets
[28:44] Speaker 4: were really close to the pin. Paps gets really close
[28:45] Speaker 4: to the pin. I'm coming up third and I'm nervous
[28:47] Speaker 4: as really worry. I'm like because everyone's watching me. They've
[28:51] Speaker 4: got the cameras out.
[28:52] Speaker 1: So I go.
[28:53] Speaker 4: First swing, I miss, Second swing, I hit into the woods.
[28:57] Speaker 4: Third swing, I swing so hard the club flies out
[29:01] Speaker 4: of my hands, splits in half, the like I broke
[29:04] Speaker 4: the club. The top half of the club gets stuck
[29:07] Speaker 4: into the golf simulator and it breaks so no one
[29:10] Speaker 4: can use it for the rest of the weekend. And
[29:12] Speaker 4: I'm just sitting there going, oh my god, I have
[29:15] Speaker 4: cost these people.
[29:16] Speaker 3: An arm in the league.
[29:17] Speaker 6: What did they say?
[29:19] Speaker 4: They just laughed and they made me take pictures with
[29:21] Speaker 4: the club that was stuck in the golf simulator, and
[29:24] Speaker 4: then I just laughed.
[29:24] Speaker 3: I heard from someone down there to keep Is it true? Now?
[29:27] Speaker 3: Is it probably that you were showing Cameron Smith how
[29:30] Speaker 3: you hold your club?
[29:32] Speaker 1: Camera Smith, old Man, you had him cornered gut mate,
[29:35] Speaker 1: I hold it like that and camera smisths. Old Man's
[29:38] Speaker 1: just looking looking at me, looking at him, Is this
[29:41] Speaker 1: a joke? And he's going, yeah, mate, I like to
[29:43] Speaker 1: link like that. And he goes, well, I think you
[29:45] Speaker 1: probably should do it more like that.
[29:47] Speaker 4: That's not because he was because we were just telling
[29:49] Speaker 4: about how it flew out of my hands, and I said,
[29:51] Speaker 4: because I've been trialing this, I said to I've been
[29:56] Speaker 4: trialing this new technique. It's called the interlock method, where
[29:59] Speaker 4: your index finger on the left sort of links in
[30:01] Speaker 4: between the pinky and supposed to get your hands tired
[30:03] Speaker 4: of the club, and I'm watching him as I'm telling him,
[30:05] Speaker 4: and he's just gone. He's Queensland are so he's like
[30:08] Speaker 4: Harry bra the Smiths and the and the Grants, Harry
[30:12] Speaker 4: Grant's family, they are. They're basically the same, like Pig
[30:16] Speaker 4: Pig Grant would get along. They're just so Queensland. Like
[30:19] Speaker 4: everything that says is just like whatever cockhad. He's had
[30:23] Speaker 4: a few beers and he was gone. He said, well,
[30:26] Speaker 4: clearly that fucking grip's not working for said, I just
[30:30] Speaker 4: walked away.
[30:32] Speaker 3: Guys. I've got one more of these cards too, for
[30:34] Speaker 3: this here. So this one's called give me your description
[30:37] Speaker 3: of this what this one looks like. This one's called
[30:39] Speaker 3: supported Congress, the five of Hearts.
[30:41] Speaker 1: Wow, Supported Congress.
[30:43] Speaker 4: Supported obviously some sort of political thing.
[30:46] Speaker 1: Like Parliament of owls. Easy to perform.
[30:50] Speaker 3: Describe it to day.
[30:55] Speaker 6: Standing no words?
[30:57] Speaker 4: Smith, do you got horrible ignoring?
[30:59] Speaker 3: You?
[31:01] Speaker 6: Kind of disinterested?
[31:02] Speaker 1: Really I'm interested in this, okay?
[31:07] Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Supported Congress. You can see what you mean?
[31:11] Speaker 4: Is he doing he's doing a glut gluten stretch as well.
[31:14] Speaker 4: He's got those people have ever done the pigeon glute stretch.
[31:17] Speaker 4: He's got the thing like that. And he's saying, and
[31:19] Speaker 4: he's old. They're standing up and he's oh, my Lord almighty,
[31:23] Speaker 4: and she is there. She looks disinterested. One of the
[31:26] Speaker 4: times like, ah.
[31:28] Speaker 1: Yes, supported Congress. You know exactly what it is. Yes,
[31:34] Speaker 1: he's begging, she's showing disinterest. Just another night of the John.
[31:38] Speaker 4: I think that's one that conceived Jack John's.
[31:40] Speaker 1: But a couple of shout outs made I must say,
[31:44] Speaker 1: Cameron Monster, it is always great to catch up with Monster.
[31:48] Speaker 1: He is he is such a tremendous gentleman.
[31:50] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he is. We hadn't seen each other in
[31:52] Speaker 4: a little bit and he was just so excited to
[31:55] Speaker 4: catch up. We went out for dinner.
[31:57] Speaker 6: About me.
[32:00] Speaker 1: Callgiate Toots.
[32:01] Speaker 4: Yeah, he was, and he looks he looks happy and
[32:05] Speaker 4: he looks healthy. The mun dog.
[32:07] Speaker 6: So three children now three boys.
[32:09] Speaker 4: Three boys, I know, are they going for.
[32:14] Speaker 1: We're gonna have to ask to discuss that.
[32:16] Speaker 3: Yeah, believe it or not, that's maybe supported Congress didn't.
[32:20] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's probably the way. That's might be the
[32:22] Speaker 4: way they conceive girls supported Congress. But it was really
[32:25] Speaker 4: great to see him and a couple of other friends.
[32:27] Speaker 4: We saw Jarchie we've had on the podcast before one
[32:30] Speaker 4: of the great men.
[32:32] Speaker 1: That Ripper area there's it's the first time the River
[32:36] Speaker 1: I've ever gone into an area that has been really
[32:39] Speaker 1: exposed to an area that's designed for influences. You've got
[32:42] Speaker 1: to see it to believe it is.
[32:43] Speaker 3: The Ripper area.
[32:45] Speaker 4: It was a ripper I love I love that Dad,
[32:48] Speaker 4: like because Dad was the oldest Blake in the area too,
[32:51] Speaker 4: Like you would it would have been like Chris Judd
[32:53] Speaker 4: was there as well, but you're rather than judgy.
[32:56] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he looks older. Thanks, Yeah, he's says Telly's
[33:04] Speaker 1: uncle John.
[33:05] Speaker 3: Uncle John looks great for his age.
[33:07] Speaker 6: He's seventy. Yeah.
[33:08] Speaker 4: But it was very funny watching sort of Dad at
[33:12] Speaker 4: different stages would just kind of like be on his own,
[33:15] Speaker 4: just kind of looking around this guy. I wanted, is
[33:17] Speaker 4: there anyone who's near my age or demograts?
[33:20] Speaker 1: I just sort of saughter over the people and just
[33:22] Speaker 1: got it. You know, when they're all having the a
[33:23] Speaker 1: you walking go, you're joining the laughter.
[33:27] Speaker 6: Ah.
[33:27] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[33:28] Speaker 1: And every time I turned around, fucking Cooper and Munster
[33:31] Speaker 1: were taking the fist out of me to someone just
[33:33] Speaker 1: going like pointing, so I got him backwards. He was
[33:35] Speaker 1: saying some things about me to people Cooper, which were awful.
[33:40] Speaker 1: I'm not going to say where they are. I'm not
[33:43] Speaker 1: going to say this is what dad does for a job.
[33:46] Speaker 1: So I thought, lets it was a square up here.
[33:47] Speaker 1: So Cooper's chatting away. I forget it was talking about
[33:50] Speaker 1: childbirth or something. I said. I said to the girl,
[33:52] Speaker 1: here's something about Cooper that no one knows. He was
[33:55] Speaker 1: actually an anal bird. I won't look at any of
[33:58] Speaker 1: your mum's.
[33:59] Speaker 7: Bum And that was.
[34:01] Speaker 4: That was to a girl I was talking to the time,
[34:03] Speaker 4: and my chances he had done.
[34:06] Speaker 3: She told the one you said the other day where
[34:08] Speaker 3: the one of the girls you're chatting to, and then
[34:10] Speaker 3: your dad just was next to her, next to you awkwardly,
[34:13] Speaker 3: and then just started telling a fact, and then she
[34:15] Speaker 3: made the conversation go to an abrupt end. The one
[34:20] Speaker 3: she said the other day that there was a there
[34:21] Speaker 3: was one standing next year. Dad just just sat there
[34:23] Speaker 3: and just started telling a really fun fact. So overcastrians was.
[34:29] Speaker 6: She had no sumption.
[34:31] Speaker 1: She's about six foot six for two and she's standing muscle.
[34:35] Speaker 1: She goes, oh, you know I'm from Newcastle and I said, oh, yeah,
[34:39] Speaker 1: it's fantastic, you know great, we're really good. And then
[34:42] Speaker 1: we're sort of looking at the golf and there's a
[34:43] Speaker 1: few tall people in front of me. I went, oh,
[34:45] Speaker 1: you know they called Newcastle the Castrians. She goes, oh yeah, yeah,
[34:49] Speaker 1: I know that. Yeah, And I said, oh yeah, now
[34:51] Speaker 1: the Castrians. And halfway through and I was talking and
[34:55] Speaker 1: she goes, my god, you're short. That's all she said.
[35:00] Speaker 4: It really didn't even finished. He just goes, my god,
[35:01] Speaker 4: you're short. And then he just went oh right, yeah, yeah,
[35:04] Speaker 4: yeah I am.
[35:06] Speaker 1: But shout out. As I said before, I had a
[35:08] Speaker 1: couple of days with Glaso from the Screaming Jets. This
[35:11] Speaker 1: is contagious and just letting people know the Adelaide Fringe
[35:16] Speaker 1: festivals on. He's going to play a series of concerts.
[35:20] Speaker 1: He's got a band. I'm just trying to think of
[35:21] Speaker 1: their name. They've got their touring. There's Gluso, Ray This
[35:25] Speaker 1: Wilwait To Jack Jones, Wendy Matthews, and there's one more
[35:32] Speaker 1: person there, Jack Joe Cavalary that they called the Fabulous Cabruto.
[35:38] Speaker 1: That's Jack Fabulous Cabreto's and Gliso himself was going to
[35:42] Speaker 1: do a series of concerts. I think about four or
[35:45] Speaker 1: five nights in a row, which are going to be
[35:47] Speaker 1: the greatest songs in Australian music history.
[35:51] Speaker 6: Is that a tour like? Is that somewhere?
[35:54] Speaker 1: I think it might be able to They might, but
[35:57] Speaker 1: he's going to mash them all together.
[35:59] Speaker 6: I love that.
[36:00] Speaker 1: It's awesome. He's just I do you love a man?
[36:03] Speaker 1: People haven't met Dave Blueson, just one of the great men.
[36:07] Speaker 3: It's quite a coincidence too, that on Valentine's Day, of
[36:10] Speaker 3: all days, you gravitate to someone who at times can
[36:14] Speaker 3: resemble your wife.
[36:15] Speaker 1: Yea Gleiso and his wife Katie. There is that resemblance.
[36:20] Speaker 4: That's what he's saying. Gleiso looks like, do you have
[36:26] Speaker 4: something to say to daddy? Are you disappointed in him?
[36:30] Speaker 3: No?
[36:31] Speaker 4: Do you not like it when he says that to you? No?
[36:33] Speaker 1: I don't care, please said a good looking fellow.
[36:38] Speaker 2: Is the Hindu belief that I don't let other people's
[36:42] Speaker 2: words affect me.
[36:44] Speaker 1: Okay, let's say it's really sitting in that. Let's set
[36:48] Speaker 1: the timer on that one and.
[36:51] Speaker 4: I'm going to do your segment now. Then, now that
[36:53] Speaker 4: you just talked about music.
[36:55] Speaker 1: It is almost every opinion counts. And I thought, you know, Gluso.
[36:58] Speaker 1: The other day, I thought, let's your music. One greatest
[37:01] Speaker 1: band from Newcastle and their best song. Look, I'm going
[37:04] Speaker 1: to go the Jets screaming Jets. Yeah. My favorite song
[37:07] Speaker 1: is Helping Hand. Helping song.
[37:10] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I am. I'm a silver chairman. I like
[37:13] Speaker 4: silverchair and I one that's grown on me as I've
[37:15] Speaker 4: gotten older. It used to be straight lines, but now
[37:19] Speaker 4: I like the greatest view.
[37:20] Speaker 1: Awesome.
[37:21] Speaker 6: So you are my son? That was my pick.
[37:23] Speaker 1: You are my mother, You came out of you came out,
[37:27] Speaker 1: Bono said.
[37:28] Speaker 4: The song apparently the greatest view, yep, yeah, watch you.
[37:35] Speaker 3: Tell me and God the greatst view from here.
[37:42] Speaker 1: We were just in sync. That was what we did.
[37:45] Speaker 1: Or we can all the room together.
[37:46] Speaker 4: We literally, Ah, That's how I know you're my dad.
[37:50] Speaker 1: The only thing he woke up one day and said,
[37:52] Speaker 1: can you put some pants on?
[37:54] Speaker 6: Did you sleep with him naked?
[37:56] Speaker 1: Different people had.
[37:59] Speaker 6: Be appropriate.
[38:00] Speaker 4: He was, well, he's twenty six though, he must have thought,
[38:04] Speaker 4: so I'd gotten at this stage, I'd gotten home, like
[38:06] Speaker 4: very early in the morning, like potentially, had had watched
[38:09] Speaker 4: a little bit of the sunrise and as I go
[38:11] Speaker 4: to bed, so Dad's sort of got into bed because
[38:13] Speaker 4: he had an earlier and I so he's up early.
[38:15] Speaker 4: And he assumed that I was just asleep, but like
[38:19] Speaker 4: I sort of wasn't. I was just sort of like
[38:21] Speaker 4: dozing in and out and just sort of watching him.
[38:23] Speaker 4: And he was just completely naked on top of the
[38:25] Speaker 4: sheets and let me tell you something, let me tell
[38:28] Speaker 4: you something better not have.
[38:30] Speaker 1: He may have.
[38:31] Speaker 4: He may have been just just treated himself amazing.
[38:34] Speaker 3: I did not. I did not. You did. I did.
[38:39] Speaker 3: That's which is fine.
[38:41] Speaker 1: It's just your wife not fine.
[38:43] Speaker 4: Your wife had been in India for a three weeks.
[38:45] Speaker 4: I understand.
[38:45] Speaker 6: Not that's not fine.
[38:47] Speaker 1: If I was under sheets, I got up in the water,
[38:50] Speaker 1: I need to go for a week. And he looked
[38:52] Speaker 1: over and it looked like a big Indian marquee.
[38:55] Speaker 4: Yeah it was. It was pointed.
[38:57] Speaker 1: He was going. Mate. He went stop working and I said,
[38:59] Speaker 1: I'm not wanking. I need to get a toilet. I
[39:01] Speaker 1: didn't trish a swear to you. Well, if I did,
[39:04] Speaker 1: I would have been thinking about it.
[39:06] Speaker 6: I don't care, Wanne in front of your son.
[39:09] Speaker 1: You I was not working.
[39:11] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Jack, It's great to see you two so
[39:15] Speaker 3: close together. It's like you finish each other's sandwiches.
[39:21] Speaker 6: Sandwiches are you going to say?
[39:22] Speaker 1: I said, sandwiches, triash your soul?
[39:25] Speaker 6: Yeah, stole mine.
[39:27] Speaker 3: I went with Tomorrow by Silver Jets.
[39:31] Speaker 4: Tomorrow.
[39:32] Speaker 2: There was another one that I liked from Streaming Jets,
[39:36] Speaker 2: but it was a remake, you know that. When I
[39:37] Speaker 2: loved Structure, Yes, I did love their version outside of.
[39:40] Speaker 4: Silver Chair and Screaming Jets. What other sort of Newcastle
[39:43] Speaker 4: bands like.
[39:45] Speaker 1: Dev E d V eight because the drummer of Dev
[39:48] Speaker 1: went into when I went into Screaming Jets, sorry drum
[39:55] Speaker 1: of d V eight.
[39:57] Speaker 4: There was there was a lif gulf on the weekend,
[40:00] Speaker 4: fucking broake the golf simulator.
[40:01] Speaker 1: No televity, the heroes, heroes or the heroes songs. I
[40:05] Speaker 1: don't know what the hero but the heroes. When you
[40:08] Speaker 1: hear the song Star Hotel, the He'll go, you know,
[40:13] Speaker 1: and when the Heroes play, you hear that lyric. Because
[40:15] Speaker 1: the night that Star Hotel ride happened, the Heroes were playing.
[40:18] Speaker 6: I can remember that morning. Yeah, yeah, I didn't leave
[40:21] Speaker 6: that far from it.
[40:22] Speaker 1: This is okay. I met you on Fox till It's interesting.
[40:26] Speaker 3: You could have said it's very interesting, but you just
[40:27] Speaker 3: went it's interesting.
[40:29] Speaker 4: Okay, I have the new segment. Did you listen last week's.
[40:32] Speaker 6: I did, and I thought Marty did very well. Although
[40:35] Speaker 6: I would not have been so crude, no horny, no
[40:41] Speaker 6: Indian easy going.
[40:42] Speaker 2: I wouldn't have been so like complimentary to Marty as
[40:45] Speaker 2: Marty was about money.
[40:46] Speaker 4: So we did a segment last week. It's the improvisional.
[40:49] Speaker 4: So I will give you a scenario, two people, and
[40:53] Speaker 4: then you just do an improvised scene. Oftentimes it reflects
[40:56] Speaker 4: something in this family. Today, I've chosen Jack and Trish.
[40:59] Speaker 3: To do it scene. This could be any.
[41:03] Speaker 1: Agree to.
[41:05] Speaker 4: Not known actors, but two people nonetheless that I think
[41:08] Speaker 4: we'll really get into this scene. So, Trish, you were
[41:10] Speaker 4: going to be a young teenage boy. Let's say about
[41:13] Speaker 4: set seventeen. You've had a really long day at school,
[41:18] Speaker 4: You're coming home. You just want to relax in your bed.
[41:21] Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, so I've got examples of those in my
[41:24] Speaker 6: life yet.
[41:25] Speaker 4: But your mother, who was going to be played by
[41:28] Speaker 4: Jack over there, comes into your room demanding you clean
[41:33] Speaker 4: up the clothes around there, and it's overall just just
[41:36] Speaker 4: really not happy with your input in the house.
[41:40] Speaker 1: Overbearing.
[41:40] Speaker 4: Yes, Okay, you guys, ready, you got your characters. You
[41:45] Speaker 4: can loosely base them off someone else in your life
[41:47] Speaker 4: as well, if you would.
[41:48] Speaker 3: I base mine off?
[41:49] Speaker 6: Who am I basing mine?
[41:51] Speaker 3: No?
[41:51] Speaker 4: Anyone? Kath Martin three two one go, Hello, Darling?
[42:00] Speaker 3: Are you inside? Are you home?
[42:03] Speaker 4: Yeah?
[42:04] Speaker 3: Hey, I just need help. I just need to send
[42:07] Speaker 3: a link to someone over a message. I don't know
[42:09] Speaker 3: how do you get a link and send it over
[42:10] Speaker 3: text message?
[42:11] Speaker 6: I just got home from school. Look, I just need
[42:13] Speaker 6: a little bit of time.
[42:14] Speaker 3: I just need to know right now.
[42:16] Speaker 4: I've got right now.
[42:17] Speaker 3: Britt Fresher needs a link and I don't know how
[42:19] Speaker 3: to get the link from the icon. How does it
[42:21] Speaker 3: work on the phone with the keyboard?
[42:23] Speaker 1: Are you stupid?
[42:26] Speaker 3: No? Well, the other one too is I saw on
[42:30] Speaker 3: the podcast on Monday. I looked a bit old in
[42:32] Speaker 3: the in the in the thumbnail and in the.
[42:37] Speaker 6: A Mum, that's not true.
[42:39] Speaker 3: You could look. Is there anything we can do about that?
[42:43] Speaker 6: I could try and brush it, but look, I'm just
[42:46] Speaker 6: having to lay down. Can you just leave me alone?
[42:47] Speaker 4: I need Steve Jobs to do that.
[42:50] Speaker 3: We don't have it in the budget. Do we have
[42:51] Speaker 3: it in the budget, Matt.
[42:54] Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't have the budget. Sorry.
[42:57] Speaker 3: In the budget.
[42:57] Speaker 1: Can you just can you just give Jack and Coops
[42:59] Speaker 1: a little bit supposed Trish?
[43:01] Speaker 3: No, they've been little pricks. They're little, they've been a
[43:03] Speaker 3: little pricks.
[43:04] Speaker 6: He's always doing this.
[43:05] Speaker 3: And what about what about the other one with a
[43:07] Speaker 3: little hat on? He's in there. He just ignores me
[43:09] Speaker 3: all day. He just sits in there in his room.
[43:11] Speaker 3: He's a pig.
[43:12] Speaker 6: Well you let him get away with murder?
[43:14] Speaker 3: Yeah, well, well I do, I know, I do, I do,
[43:17] Speaker 3: I do let him get away with murder.
[43:18] Speaker 4: I've never murdered anyone.
[43:20] Speaker 1: I've thought about it. Join us to reverse at this
[43:22] Speaker 1: time and we'll have a crack it. I'll be which
[43:26] Speaker 1: character you want to be. I'll be I'll be the
[43:29] Speaker 1: guy Lane in the room.
[43:30] Speaker 4: So you're me and you to do it?
[43:31] Speaker 1: Yeah, interesting, you're going to tell what I'll do. I'll
[43:36] Speaker 1: be you, you be Trish.
[43:38] Speaker 4: You want me to be Trish?
[43:39] Speaker 1: Whatever you do? You want to be me or Trish,
[43:41] Speaker 1: and I'll be I'll be you and you be you? Okay, parent,
[43:46] Speaker 1: But this is yeah, I did well. I did in
[43:48] Speaker 1: the weekend.
[43:48] Speaker 4: Big time discipline me. All right, ready, you've had a
[43:51] Speaker 4: long dot work which used to do breakfast radio.
[43:54] Speaker 1: So I don't worry, but I did it.
[43:57] Speaker 4: Okay, now you're mean, all right, I'm you okay.
[44:02] Speaker 1: Boom boom boom.
[44:03] Speaker 4: Hello, Hello, it's Maddie John.
[44:04] Speaker 1: Hang on, Dad, just hang on a second. I'm on
[44:07] Speaker 1: the phone to somebody. Oh that's just make my mind. Yeah,
[44:13] Speaker 1: you send me those notes. Yeah, show your dad.
[44:17] Speaker 4: I'm the cool dad. You know me, even though i'm
[44:19] Speaker 4: you know, I'm a little bit older. You know, I
[44:20] Speaker 4: hang out with those influences that live golf last week,
[44:23] Speaker 4: you know how cool I am.
[44:24] Speaker 1: Dad. I just want to say that, thank you for
[44:26] Speaker 1: coming down the other day and mate, talking to everybody. Mate,
[44:29] Speaker 1: you were such a massive hit and like everyone was
[44:31] Speaker 1: coming out saying I wish I had a dad like you.
[44:33] Speaker 1: He's so cool. He gives great advice. Honestly, now I
[44:37] Speaker 1: know the circret behind your mediocre success.
[44:41] Speaker 4: Well that's that's fine. I just wanted to say thank
[44:43] Speaker 4: you so much for having me and taking me. And
[44:46] Speaker 4: I've never been more proud of a son i've had,
[44:48] Speaker 4: because you know that other bloke in the room over there,
[44:50] Speaker 4: he's just a real real dead shit and really really
[44:54] Speaker 4: mean to me all the time.
[44:55] Speaker 1: Well, look, and.
[44:56] Speaker 4: When I make jokes on the podcast or something he's
[44:58] Speaker 4: not just said, and he gives me pretty.
[45:00] Speaker 1: Bad, distasteful looks that looked at here's the thing about it.
[45:04] Speaker 1: We spoke about a number of things when we're away,
[45:06] Speaker 1: and you said that you feel insecure the fact that
[45:08] Speaker 1: when I talked to Jack a lot and keep you
[45:10] Speaker 1: out of it. And this is the reason you've taken
[45:12] Speaker 1: you know, I've taken you away just you know, by myself,
[45:16] Speaker 1: so that we can have a really good time together
[45:18] Speaker 1: because you know, I'm jealous of I'm jealous of this
[45:21] Speaker 1: is gone. This is getting a bit heavy.
[45:24] Speaker 6: I don't really a term for this in psychology.
[45:26] Speaker 1: What's that.
[45:29] Speaker 6: Reflective something?

[46:11] Speaker 2: I was in India a teacup noodle, sorry, a teacup
[46:18] Speaker 2: poodle from Scotland in India in this textile store and
[46:24] Speaker 2: it was jumping all out like it's tiny. It's like
[46:26] Speaker 2: this big jumping all over the fabrics and dustling in
[46:28] Speaker 2: and hiding things in a month set. And the guy said, oh, yes,
[46:32] Speaker 2: he got it. I got it from Scotland. And I said, oh,

[46:38] Speaker 2: he's getting better.
[46:43] Speaker 4: I think she was saying a joke.

[46:59] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[46:59] Speaker 6: I thought that that's funny.
[47:01] Speaker 4: Usually when you find something funny, it's a great gauge
[47:04] Speaker 4: of what not to say.
[47:06] Speaker 6: Anyway, I've got another good story. This is true.
[47:09] Speaker 2: A couple of the girls that were leaving their flight
[47:11] Speaker 2: got delayed, so they sat back and had a drink.
[47:13] Speaker 6: They were quite picked tipsy.
[47:15] Speaker 2: And then because their flight got delayed to midnight, and
[47:18] Speaker 2: so we packed them off in the car and off
[47:20] Speaker 2: they go to the airport. We go to bed, We
[47:23] Speaker 2: get text messages when we wake up in the morning.
[47:27] Speaker 2: They got hauled off to a private interrogation room and immigration,
[47:33] Speaker 2: two of them. And I said, well, look why because
[47:37] Speaker 2: they went to go through immigration through the diplomat's entry.
[47:41] Speaker 2: And how they even found it, I don't even know,
[47:43] Speaker 2: because sober the next day we struggled to find the
[47:46] Speaker 2: path out and they and then they were interrogated as
[47:51] Speaker 2: to why they had They'd entered the country with seventeen kilos,
[47:55] Speaker 2: but we're now leaving with over forty. They had like
[47:58] Speaker 2: every thousand dollars in excess baggage feet. Yeah, but they
[48:03] Speaker 2: thought they were being taken away from.
[48:06] Speaker 3: Grade.
[48:12] Speaker 1: I thought, so they this is great ext They're putting
[48:17] Speaker 1: the rubber rubber gloves on God right.
[48:19] Speaker 7: And in the end, once they realized that this is
[48:22] Speaker 7: serious and they're getting into trouble, they told they said
[48:24] Speaker 7: that they were married to international cricket.
[48:28] Speaker 6: Can they let them go? I'm not even laughing.
[48:32] Speaker 5: I'm not even laughing at the story. I'm just laughing
[48:34] Speaker 5: at how ship you aren't telling you? Is it humanly
[48:39] Speaker 5: possible for a human to have the material in front
[48:43] Speaker 5: of them. You've written it down on your list, off
