[0:00] Speaker 1: I don't need that, Bronson Garlic, how is How's Wayne
[0:04] Speaker 1: Bennett goal mate? How's life Underwayne?
[0:05] Speaker 2: Good?
[0:06] Speaker 1: Fun?
[0:06] Speaker 2: Really good.
[0:07] Speaker 3: I've had a couple of interactions with him, Like he's
[0:10] Speaker 3: not he's not overly out there and speaking to everyone.
[0:14] Speaker 3: But from from what I've gathered from him so far,
[0:17] Speaker 3: he's a very good man manager.
[0:19] Speaker 1: Yep.
[0:20] Speaker 3: The first day he rocked up, it was a week
[0:22] Speaker 3: end to be training, and he got around to pretty
[0:25] Speaker 3: much ever.
[0:25] Speaker 2: Run in the team, and.
[0:28] Speaker 3: I was I was trying to compare him to Belli
[0:30] Speaker 3: because I know Bellier spent a lot of time with him,
[0:33] Speaker 3: and I feel like he's just, i don't know, maybe
[0:38] Speaker 3: more personable, like a bit more understanding of everyone, more empathetic.
[0:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so.
[0:44] Speaker 3: But hell, he's unapproachable at times, I think, but you
[0:49] Speaker 3: kind of you get that when he's spent a bit
[0:52] Speaker 3: of time with him.
[0:52] Speaker 2: But yeah, he says.
[0:53] Speaker 1: A lot of interesting stories Billiac about Wayne working under
[0:56] Speaker 1: Wayne and Bellier came from the Canberra system under Uns
[1:01] Speaker 1: went to Broncos and would have been early in his
[1:05] Speaker 1: coach early into retirement really a couple of years after retired,
[1:08] Speaker 1: and he was saying he was there, he was assistant coach,
[1:11] Speaker 1: but also a strength and conditioner or working on the conditioning.
[1:15] Speaker 1: Maybe not strength but conditioning. And he said the first
[1:18] Speaker 1: day he was there, and I think this sort of
[1:19] Speaker 1: is symbolic of the difference between Wayne and Belly. Belly
[1:23] Speaker 1: A said, the first day of training, he said, I've said,
[1:26] Speaker 1: of the players, right, let's get around less stretch. You know,
[1:28] Speaker 1: very as you said Belliate, very militant. And he said,
[1:31] Speaker 1: he's looking over and Alfie Lang is the only one
[1:33] Speaker 1: not stretching. In fact, Alfie's leaning against pick at fans,
[1:36] Speaker 1: just talking to some old bloke he's walking past. Anyway,
[1:40] Speaker 1: Belly said, he's getting more and more irritated. What's an
[1:42] Speaker 1: awf fucking fucking feeling himself? Two minutes, four minutes, six minutes,
[1:49] Speaker 1: he goes no, so he goes he said, I go
[1:51] Speaker 1: bowling over to just give it to Alfie, and Wayne
[1:54] Speaker 1: grabs him on the shoulder and says, what do you
[1:55] Speaker 1: think you're doing? He going to go grab Alfie? You know,
[1:58] Speaker 1: he goes aa, You just fucking leave him. That's what
[2:02] Speaker 1: he does. So that's that understanding of his players. He said.
[2:06] Speaker 2: What he took out of that.
[2:07] Speaker 1: Bally like, he said, is you can't treat all the
[2:09] Speaker 1: players exactly the same.
[2:11] Speaker 2: I feel like Wayne's got the playing group of I
[2:14] Speaker 2: wouldn't say a playing group of misfits, but people that
[2:18] Speaker 2: like have left other clubs because coaches probably haven't understood
[2:22] Speaker 2: how to manage them. Like you look at someone like
[2:24] Speaker 2: David for Feeder, even Cheese to an extent from the
[2:28] Speaker 2: roosters like bloke shall have. Probably he gets people who
[2:32] Speaker 2: only a coach like Wayne could probably get the best
[2:34] Speaker 2: out of them. Yeah.
[2:35] Speaker 3: Well, what I've seen so far is that he's probably
[2:38] Speaker 3: closest to those type of blokes are training Like the
[2:40] Speaker 3: Cheese is Dave Feeder, all those blokes that have had
[2:43] Speaker 3: some maybe off field staff or what not.
[2:46] Speaker 2: Cheese bit of a bit of a laric and top logan.
[2:50] Speaker 3: Yeah, I think just the stuff that he comes out
[2:53] Speaker 3: with sometimes Wayne, and we're in the gym, o that
[2:56] Speaker 3: he walks in with his hat back with a gold chain.
[2:58] Speaker 2: I don't know where he got that from, but him,
[3:00] Speaker 2: he likes that.
[3:01] Speaker 1: That's a little Wayne way.
[3:06] Speaker 3: But yeah, he likes a g up and and he probably,
[3:09] Speaker 3: like you said, like understands those those blokes that have
[3:12] Speaker 3: been through that.
[3:12] Speaker 1: So Brandon's training in the house down.
[3:15] Speaker 3: It's actually impressive to see because I spent a year
[3:18] Speaker 3: with him at Melbourne, that twenty two year, and I
[3:21] Speaker 3: wouldn't say he was the fittest bloke or obviously had
[3:24] Speaker 3: his stuff going on.
[3:24] Speaker 2: Off the field.
[3:25] Speaker 3: But it's like, I'm proud to see him like he's fit,
[3:31] Speaker 3: he look he looks physically good, He's got his last
[3:34] Speaker 3: sord off the field.
[3:35] Speaker 2: It's as physically as impressive I think he's ever like.
[3:39] Speaker 2: I don't think he's ever looked as physically impressive. He
[3:41] Speaker 2: pushed a picture to his Instagram the other day with
[3:44] Speaker 2: his shirt off, and he know this is a thing.
[3:46] Speaker 2: Brandon knows he looks good too, because he's I've never
[3:48] Speaker 2: seen him post so many shirtless pictures in one photo done.
[3:51] Speaker 3: He was showing me a couple of photos the day before.
[3:53] Speaker 3: He goes, what do you do with this, bro, We'll.
[3:55] Speaker 2: Check this up.
[3:57] Speaker 1: Good thing about it that he hasn't lost weight to
[3:59] Speaker 1: the extent that he's lost to his natural build, like
[4:01] Speaker 1: he's still thick as thick as a brick wall. But
[4:06] Speaker 1: but but he's just fit, and the most important thing
[4:09] Speaker 1: is what he's been through and the fact that he's
[4:12] Speaker 1: found himself and he's trying to sell well. He just
[4:15] Speaker 1: so he's proud of himself. I think was essentially, which
[4:18] Speaker 1: everyone is the most important thing.
[4:20] Speaker 2: How does how does training at the Rabbits compare to
[4:23] Speaker 2: like a Melbourne type system?
[4:25] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's difficult because I tried not to and
[4:30] Speaker 3: I was speaking to me old man about it. I
[4:31] Speaker 3: was like, how do you how do you compare Melbourne
[4:33] Speaker 3: when you get there and you and you get in
[4:35] Speaker 3: training and you want to compare this to what you're
[4:37] Speaker 3: doing at Melbourne or or what Melbourne do here whatever
[4:40] Speaker 3: it is, And I feel like it's it's very refreshing
[4:44] Speaker 3: our style of training and the scheduling of the training
[4:48] Speaker 3: like at Melbourne, as you know, like some of the
[4:50] Speaker 3: days you're not getting home till six seven o'clock in
[4:52] Speaker 3: the in the night, six seven. But and I think
[4:58] Speaker 3: it's it's Wayne' philosophy of you get then you do
[5:00] Speaker 3: your work. You're not you're not missing any reps on anything,
[5:02] Speaker 3: but you gain condemned it, yeah, condense it, and you
[5:05] Speaker 3: get under your family, which is I love it, which
[5:07] Speaker 3: is important I think like away from footy, Yeah, I.
[5:10] Speaker 2: Suppose that that that Melbourne system, like it. Obviously it works,
[5:14] Speaker 2: but I suppose when you've done it for such a
[5:16] Speaker 2: long period of time for you to be like, I
[5:20] Speaker 2: suppose you can burn out of that type of training
[5:22] Speaker 2: consistently as well. Like it's good. It's such a good
[5:25] Speaker 2: lesson at the start because it teaches you about hard
[5:27] Speaker 2: work and like how professional trains. But some for some
[5:32] Speaker 2: personalities as well, it's not achievable to do that have
[5:35] Speaker 2: a long period of time, which is why you see,
[5:36] Speaker 2: like you just said, like it's refreshing to go back
[5:38] Speaker 2: to a different scheduling, and I suppose you learn, like
[5:42] Speaker 2: there's more than one way to skin a cat, especially
[5:44] Speaker 2: in rabid league, Like people run plays a completely different way.
[5:47] Speaker 2: People do attack it a completely different way. Well, like
[5:51] Speaker 2: that's house.
[5:52] Speaker 3: We don't have that many meetings, but I feel like
[5:54] Speaker 3: at Melbourne you haven't six six meetings a day. Sometimes
[5:58] Speaker 3: on your big day, I feel like you're going to
[6:00] Speaker 3: the meeting and you're taking a bit more notice and
[6:03] Speaker 3: a bit more concentrate on what they're actually saying rather
[6:05] Speaker 3: than it just been a fish. Yeah, exactly, clips on
[6:09] Speaker 3: clips on clips, And I'm not saying that's a bad
[6:10] Speaker 3: thing because I flourished under that or I like that
[6:14] Speaker 3: style of thing.
[6:15] Speaker 2: But as I said, it's refreshing. How's how's Dave been
[6:18] Speaker 2: going there? Really? I saw a video of him and
[6:20] Speaker 2: Latrell wrestling the other day on the beach to Big Bulls.
[6:25] Speaker 2: Was scary.
[6:26] Speaker 3: Start those two blow Latrell and Dave in the gym.
[6:29] Speaker 3: They're they're strong, strong men and you know what Melbourne
[6:33] Speaker 3: shout out the dan to Pascal. But it's very he's
[6:37] Speaker 3: very individualized the programming of the gym. So here it's
[6:41] Speaker 3: a different, different solo gym and everyone works together. Everyone
[6:44] Speaker 3: sees what people are squatting and benching, and it's all
[6:46] Speaker 3: done with your speeds on the camera or whatever. And
[6:50] Speaker 3: you stand there watching these bloats in there. They're squatting,
[6:54] Speaker 3: they're squtting big. I feel what would he squats?
[6:58] Speaker 2: He's a powerful man, I think he.
[7:01] Speaker 3: I think he was one of the strongest in the
[7:03] Speaker 3: They put it up the next day.
[7:04] Speaker 2: I think he was. Whatever it was. It's a free squat,
[7:07] Speaker 2: not a box squad either. Who'd be the strongest there?
[7:10] Speaker 1: Cheese is up there too. Yeah, well he's built like
[7:13] Speaker 1: a power lifted. He's got that stocky suppose when you're
[7:17] Speaker 1: four foot eleven.
[7:17] Speaker 2: You can't say fat more because he's not fat. But
[7:21] Speaker 2: yeah he's bulgarian thick.
[7:24] Speaker 3: Yeah, he's thick, and he's happy with himself too, and
[7:26] Speaker 3: he gets off the squad rack because.
[7:28] Speaker 1: What made We've got the garlos pie say, just.
[7:31] Speaker 4: For listeners to if you've been hearing like my like
[7:34] Speaker 4: sludging or whatever it is, is Matthew is eating delicious
[7:37] Speaker 4: garlos pie.
[7:38] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[7:40] Speaker 3: Did you go to.
[7:41] Speaker 2: Haven't Lean Beef? Yeah, obviously garlos pies is that's you mate,
[7:45] Speaker 2: it is. It was well done.
[7:47] Speaker 1: Man made his tall hard for a long time.
[7:50] Speaker 3: Yeah, well two thousand and one started back then with me.
[7:53] Speaker 3: I'm gle He was a pastry chef and me and
[7:56] Speaker 3: my grandfather Terry. Yeah, and had he pretty much had
[7:59] Speaker 3: the cash because he's just retired from the waterfront that
[8:02] Speaker 3: had just retired from playing footy and needed something to do.
[8:05] Speaker 2: So do you do you get sick of eating pies? Like?
[8:08] Speaker 2: Because I imagine it's like, you know, like somebody who
[8:10] Speaker 2: might work in like a fast food restaurant and they're
[8:12] Speaker 2: around it so much, they probably get sick of eating it,
[8:14] Speaker 2: like you just you know what, I don't.
[8:17] Speaker 3: I don't think I do when I was working full
[8:19] Speaker 3: time at Garlos. I probably haven't a pie or two
[8:23] Speaker 3: a day, just to make sure that they were quality.
[8:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, quality quality assurance. Sure, well they're big on meat protein.
[8:31] Speaker 4: You wouldn't have been an athlete you are today exactly
[8:33] Speaker 4: without Well they are that pretty pretty healthy, one of
[8:37] Speaker 4: the healthiesties in the market.
[8:40] Speaker 2: And you were saying earlier, so you're old man. He
[8:43] Speaker 2: credited a lot because I didn't realize, but they used
[8:46] Speaker 2: to do segments on the Footy Show and stuff.
[8:48] Speaker 3: Yeah, so he puts a lot of the early day
[8:50] Speaker 3: success down to the Footy Show. I was just saying
[8:54] Speaker 3: before we jumped on that the first ever pinty competition
[8:57] Speaker 3: we did was broadcast live on the Footy Show, which
[8:59] Speaker 3: was It would have been maybe two Yeah, we opened
[9:05] Speaker 3: we opened the store in in O one, so it
[9:06] Speaker 3: would have been very early on and the big man
[9:09] Speaker 3: Ardie beats and MG smacking them all. MG would have
[9:13] Speaker 3: had about twenty pies and twenty Crown lagers.
[9:15] Speaker 1: That night he was still up Andrew would have filled
[9:18] Speaker 1: his pockus as well.
[9:20] Speaker 2: So the pilt in competition, what is that? Like? How
[9:23] Speaker 2: many you can eat in an hour?
[9:24] Speaker 3: Is that kind of I think it was I think
[9:26] Speaker 3: it was over maybe a half an hour period or whatever.
[9:27] Speaker 3: It was how many pies you can actually eat?
[9:29] Speaker 2: Who won? I think MG won beat MG one. He
[9:32] Speaker 2: beat the big mart Big.
[9:33] Speaker 1: But it's funny. We were we recently recorded Peter Powers
[9:39] Speaker 1: when we played but Peter Powers are hypnosis. He was
[9:42] Speaker 1: talking about how good the footy show was him. He
[9:44] Speaker 1: said his business in Australia just skyrocketed the footy show.
[9:49] Speaker 1: And I was explaining to the boys these these I
[9:52] Speaker 1: mean back in the day, you're pretty much only had
[9:55] Speaker 1: free to wear TV. You know, Foxfield was in infancy.
[9:59] Speaker 1: Only certain people had it. And so you get a
[10:02] Speaker 1: call on the Friday morning from Glenn Palace to the
[10:05] Speaker 1: executive producer and I might just ring in to Tea
[10:08] Speaker 1: what the ratings were last night? We had about five
[10:10] Speaker 1: hundred and fifty thousand watching in Sydney. Now five hundred
[10:15] Speaker 1: and fifty thousand in Sydney. I reckon these days, just
[10:19] Speaker 1: in Sydney, I reckon the finale of the Voice or
[10:22] Speaker 1: Australian Idol wouldn't even get that.
[10:23] Speaker 2: Really.
[10:24] Speaker 1: It was just it was just it was such a massive,
[10:27] Speaker 1: mega show.
[10:28] Speaker 2: It was huge. What would be the biggest like, what,
[10:32] Speaker 2: what would be the biggest show now on TV? Larry
[10:34] Speaker 2: Emda Now.
[10:35] Speaker 1: It'd be look, it'd be the reality shows.
[10:38] Speaker 2: It would be the biggest married married a first sight,
[10:40] Speaker 2: I think, do you get into reality TV? I missus
[10:44] Speaker 2: watching it, so I have to watch it. Jees and kisses.
[10:46] Speaker 2: Of course you're getting married at the end of the
[10:49] Speaker 2: big on me.
[10:49] Speaker 3: Funny story about that too. I asked someone to BEBMC
[10:52] Speaker 3: and never heard back from him. And I've heard about this.
[10:55] Speaker 2: Yeah, hang on a sec, all right, you tell your
[10:57] Speaker 2: side of myself. I'm not a very formal type of person.
[11:02] Speaker 3: So when I saw Coop last year come down to Melbourne,
[11:04] Speaker 3: I's and I kind of just said it to him.
[11:05] Speaker 3: Not in a joking way, but I just I'm gonna
[11:07] Speaker 3: troil it out there and to see what he'd say.
[11:09] Speaker 3: And I said, mate, I got chat to you.
[11:11] Speaker 2: Actually, i'd love for you.
[11:13] Speaker 3: To maybe because I heard he did a good job
[11:15] Speaker 3: at Chez's wedding. Yeah, and I didn't know if he
[11:20] Speaker 3: was charging people for this thing or anything.
[11:23] Speaker 2: I do I do it for free from mates. And
[11:25] Speaker 2: I said that to you. I said, no, of course
[11:27] Speaker 2: I do it for free from mates. I'll do it
[11:29] Speaker 2: did I not say that?
[11:29] Speaker 3: But I was talking to Jack before, and there's a sarcastic,
[11:32] Speaker 3: sarcastic way you reply to things sometimes, and I was like, okay,
[11:36] Speaker 3: I'll take it as a yes, but I need to
[11:38] Speaker 3: actually follow up and get a confirmation.
[11:41] Speaker 2: So I messaged him and probably probably on my.
[11:44] Speaker 3: Half two that I should have called him, but send
[11:47] Speaker 3: a message and said, mate, what you do in the
[11:49] Speaker 3: honor of actually am seeing me?
[11:51] Speaker 2: This is actually serious? Nothing's nothing for a few weeks?
[11:55] Speaker 2: What was it?
[11:55] Speaker 4: What was the what time and day of the week
[11:58] Speaker 4: was it that you probably said it to him?
[11:59] Speaker 3: It would have been just like a typical Monday.
[12:04] Speaker 2: Recovering though he's on a little down right. This is
[12:10] Speaker 2: the thing. Sunday to Tuesday. Yeah, hard to get me
[12:14] Speaker 2: on the phone because I'm high. I'm literally hibernating. I'm
[12:17] Speaker 2: scared of the world. You've probably got a two day
[12:20] Speaker 2: Wednesday to Thursday. It's probably the only two days you
[12:22] Speaker 2: will probably get me on Friday to Saturday. That's a
[12:25] Speaker 2: rite off leaving me phone. It's either in me your
[12:27] Speaker 2: pocket or keep it in the room. And as I
[12:30] Speaker 2: go out and about. So Wednesday to Thursday, brono. But
[12:34] Speaker 2: I this is what I said to him. I said,
[12:36] Speaker 2: my word is oak right. See this would that's my words.
[12:40] Speaker 1: That when I say, you're tapping cardboard.
[12:43] Speaker 2: When I say something, it's going to be done right.
[12:45] Speaker 2: So when when you followed up with a text that
[12:49] Speaker 2: I mistakenly didn't reply to you, I was already locked in.
[12:54] Speaker 2: You just go ahead. You plan the rest of your wedding.
[12:55] Speaker 2: You plan the florists, the rest of that sort of stuff,
[12:57] Speaker 2: the groons, w and all that.
[12:59] Speaker 1: Just present something to you. You can either have a
[13:02] Speaker 1: person who is an emerging star in their own mind
[13:05] Speaker 1: or a genuine TV and media superstar already got one
[13:10] Speaker 1: who's doing it's going to put it out there if
[13:12] Speaker 1: he knocks it back.
[13:15] Speaker 2: Can we go back to reality TV for a sec
[13:17] Speaker 2: because obviously, like you said, your your partner, Georgie, she
[13:20] Speaker 2: watches a lot of reality TV. But of course your
[13:22] Speaker 2: brother Jackson. But he was, he was on the Bachelor,
[13:25] Speaker 2: he was, he was.
[13:26] Speaker 1: He actually end up running third. So is that bachelorette actually, Angie.
[13:31] Speaker 2: Can't remember her from goggle Box.
[13:32] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, she was a Bachelor bachelorette.
[13:35] Speaker 2: Sorry, So we got bronze, Yeah, he got bronze.
[13:38] Speaker 3: It was funny because he made it to the top three,
[13:40] Speaker 3: and at top three you get hometown visits, so then
[13:43] Speaker 3: obviously you're in it. Yeah, we're in it, which is
[13:46] Speaker 3: at the start we're all, what are you going on
[13:48] Speaker 3: that form?
[13:48] Speaker 2: Mate? Like you, what are you going to get out
[13:50] Speaker 2: of that?
[13:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm looking like a syphilis.
[13:55] Speaker 2: Back again, that it's a disease people get.
[14:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, al capone swells the brain.
[14:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, syphilis. It can make you go like mad, like
[14:08] Speaker 2: it can actually ruin like your brain and that really
[14:10] Speaker 2: if if it goes untreated. Of course this is this
[14:13] Speaker 2: isn't a live reading. We'll get into it now.
[14:16] Speaker 1: They reckon what happens sometimes when urinate and the burns.
[14:19] Speaker 2: That's bad. Okay, we're asking about that before Ripley's Believe
[14:24] Speaker 2: it or not? Sorry back.
[14:27] Speaker 3: So we had reservations about him makeually going on the
[14:29] Speaker 3: show because we're like, what do you do? And then
[14:31] Speaker 3: you got the top three, and then we had to
[14:33] Speaker 3: be involved in it because they're going to meet the family.
[14:35] Speaker 3: So they come over, Mum cooks and feed whatever it
[14:39] Speaker 3: is and she sits down and like you see what
[14:41] Speaker 3: they do with editing behind the scenes on those shows.
[14:43] Speaker 3: Because the old man took her for a for a
[14:47] Speaker 3: father prospective kind of yeah.
[14:51] Speaker 1: In his in his in his in his man cave
[14:53] Speaker 1: with all the South Sydean riots.
[14:56] Speaker 3: In the.
[14:58] Speaker 1: Glow Pies T shirt.
[15:00] Speaker 3: But they couldn't have made him look any worse on
[15:01] Speaker 3: the show, and they made he perceived as the Yeah,
[15:06] Speaker 3: the villain, the villain, the villain father. And I think
[15:09] Speaker 3: it was because he went on the show from from
[15:12] Speaker 3: the angle of he's coming from the pie Empire they'll
[15:15] Speaker 3: calling it or whatever. And then he asked her a
[15:18] Speaker 3: question of like what do you like so you're on
[15:19] Speaker 3: goggle Box whatever, like what do you what else do
[15:21] Speaker 3: you do? And they framed it in a way of
[15:24] Speaker 3: him asking her like are you are your gold?
[15:26] Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah?
[15:27] Speaker 1: And are you good enough?
[15:28] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[15:28] Speaker 3: I got And you can imagine what the what the
[15:32] Speaker 3: previews were in leading up to the show about the
[15:35] Speaker 3: music and the did he get yet?
[15:38] Speaker 1: Really slow motion into black and white boom.
[15:44] Speaker 3: I was happy it was was him rather than your mum,
[15:46] Speaker 3: like if she was getting sprayed online for for asking
[15:49] Speaker 3: a question.
[15:50] Speaker 2: And that would have been hard. Did he actually cop it?
[15:52] Speaker 2: He did?
[15:53] Speaker 3: People people messaging the glos Instagram going like never buy
[15:56] Speaker 3: a pie from you again, that.
[16:00] Speaker 1: Is the drama when you go on, when you're going
[16:03] Speaker 1: reality TV shows or a certain show that is going
[16:05] Speaker 1: to you know the editors are going to have creative
[16:09] Speaker 1: crack at it, and you sign over and that that's
[16:11] Speaker 1: a danger. They just create the narrative. They would sit
[16:13] Speaker 1: there and go, Okay, let's help me. The personalities will
[16:17] Speaker 1: make him this and him this, and she'll be that.
[16:21] Speaker 1: It's just yeah, it is brutal even when you watch
[16:23] Speaker 1: it there leading into it.
[16:25] Speaker 4: Now.
[16:25] Speaker 2: I don't I don't watch too much reality TV, but
[16:27] Speaker 2: I like on social media this year, I could see
[16:31] Speaker 2: a heap of what was going on on like Love
[16:32] Speaker 2: Island and let me, I wish I'd watched it because,
[16:37] Speaker 2: let me tell you something, Matthew, it looked very juicy,
[16:40] Speaker 2: very very juicy, like lots of crazy stuff going on,
[16:44] Speaker 2: but you could see like they were painting some people
[16:46] Speaker 2: out to be like just the worst people on earth.
[16:49] Speaker 2: There's a local bloke around here and they yeah, he's
[16:52] Speaker 2: from Narrabeen, his name's Kai. He was on it, and
[16:55] Speaker 2: they made there was a couple of times where they
[16:57] Speaker 2: just made him look like he might be I don't
[17:00] Speaker 2: really know him, but they made him look.
[17:01] Speaker 1: Like just such a horrific you can't do anything. You
[17:06] Speaker 1: sign over, you sign away back. Yeah, you're in the
[17:08] Speaker 1: hands of the editors.
[17:09] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[17:10] Speaker 3: They do it for the like they know they're getting
[17:12] Speaker 3: a bit of fame out of it, right, Like they're
[17:13] Speaker 3: coming out with a few followers and obviously they're loving that,
[17:17] Speaker 3: but they're getting sprayed.
[17:19] Speaker 2: Yeah, would you go on it? Way? I suppose you
[17:21] Speaker 2: get married.
[17:22] Speaker 1: Jacks been asked a few times.
[17:23] Speaker 3: Really yeah, yeah, couple, you're loved that last time.
[17:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly right.
[17:28] Speaker 4: I'm locked I'm locked away, but I married at first site.
[17:32] Speaker 4: Got me one day at the Oaks. They tried to
[17:34] Speaker 4: nail me down. You were like twenty one at the time,
[17:36] Speaker 4: Like twenty one at the time.
[17:37] Speaker 3: Yeah, I like to they that'd be the worst one
[17:41] Speaker 3: to go on mate a first site, Yeah, because it's
[17:43] Speaker 3: all about the drama now.
[17:44] Speaker 4: And they just partner you next to someone just to create.
[17:47] Speaker 4: Like it's not even about partnering. It's about almost putting
[17:49] Speaker 4: opposites in a room and just seeing what happens. It's
[17:52] Speaker 4: like like cock fighting.
[17:53] Speaker 3: Seriously, if you were twenty one you go on a
[17:55] Speaker 3: Matia first site, You're not getting married at twenty.
[17:57] Speaker 1: One Oh, I must say there'd be a nervousness when
[17:59] Speaker 1: the bride just about turn the corner and you.
[18:01] Speaker 2: Hit the.
[18:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's an awful show that when you see some
[18:07] Speaker 1: people that'll get there and there's one person that just
[18:09] Speaker 1: thinks they're better than the next, that is just your
[18:12] Speaker 1: heart goes out.
[18:13] Speaker 4: You see what they did in the last one, and
[18:14] Speaker 4: the last one they were actually getting them comparing everyone
[18:17] Speaker 4: else's couples and seeing who the hottest, who the hottest
[18:20] Speaker 4: partner was. Some people were like proper not putting their
[18:23] Speaker 4: partner like anywhere in the top.
[18:25] Speaker 2: Great viewing, great viewing.
[18:26] Speaker 1: Yeah, but I mean we don't watch it in this house. Yeah,
[18:30] Speaker 1: obviously someone told me about this.
[18:33] Speaker 2: Go back to Souths for a second. What are you
[18:36] Speaker 2: you being in there in that environment? Last year they
[18:38] Speaker 2: had a heap of injuries, but I think it's no
[18:40] Speaker 2: secret that the talent they've gotten, the squad they definitely have,
[18:44] Speaker 2: and the coach obviously behind the driving wheel, they have
[18:46] Speaker 2: a good chance at a premiership. Is there like, is
[18:49] Speaker 2: there a good feeling amongst the playing group this year?
[18:51] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's a really good feel of like everyone's
[18:56] Speaker 3: fit at the moment too, so everyone's on the field
[18:58] Speaker 3: and their training, and some of them was saying last
[19:00] Speaker 3: year during the preseason there'd be there'd be ten of
[19:04] Speaker 3: the starting players that wouldn't even be on the field.
[19:06] Speaker 3: So I feel like that's a feeling itself of everyone's
[19:09] Speaker 3: everyone's fit and ready to go for the season at
[19:12] Speaker 3: this point. But there is where the where the training
[19:16] Speaker 3: facility is that have from there around Ruber area. There's
[19:18] Speaker 3: a lot of obviously locals that get in the cafe
[19:21] Speaker 3: in the in the mornings and they're just there's just
[19:23] Speaker 3: the buzz about the place and I feel like it's
[19:25] Speaker 3: it's it's heading on a good kind of try. Actually,
[19:29] Speaker 3: Like I've been obviously, you've been out at Melbourn, I've
[19:31] Speaker 3: been in Melbourne. You have those periods where you feel
[19:33] Speaker 3: like this is this is this is a good kind.
[19:36] Speaker 1: Of the potential of that left side, Cody Walker, David Feeder,
[19:41] Speaker 1: La Tron Mitchell and aj on the wing, you're going
[19:43] Speaker 1: to like the potential.
[19:45] Speaker 2: There is is huge. Last year they had like they
[19:49] Speaker 2: think that the most injuries of anyone in the camp,
[19:51] Speaker 2: Like the key man.
[19:53] Speaker 1: I don't think you basically never saw saw the key
[19:57] Speaker 1: men on field at the same time I can.
[20:00] Speaker 2: He was out for the whole year as well, you know,
[20:01] Speaker 2: so I imagine if they can keep a fit squad
[20:04] Speaker 2: on the field, the possibilities rendless.
[20:08] Speaker 1: But it's not nice for you, Bronson to return there.
[20:10] Speaker 1: I mean that that is I mean as far as
[20:12] Speaker 1: the Garlic family, that is. You know that that is home,
[20:16] Speaker 1: Isn't it like the South in your Rabbits? Your dad
[20:18] Speaker 1: was junior coming through there. I remember watching Dad play
[20:20] Speaker 1: under twenty ones. I played against him there. He went
[20:22] Speaker 1: to the Roosters later and then back to South. But
[20:25] Speaker 1: for the family, I mean your rabbit ost All.
[20:29] Speaker 3: My memories as a kid were wearing the red and
[20:31] Speaker 3: green and watching Dad play and in his last couple
[20:34] Speaker 3: of years, and red and Green runs from my blood.
[20:38] Speaker 3: I was often for a couple of years when I
[20:39] Speaker 3: when I had to move away. But this is my
[20:41] Speaker 3: third stit back there actually, but it just feels different
[20:45] Speaker 3: this time, and it's obviously a real chance of me
[20:48] Speaker 3: playing first grade there.
[20:49] Speaker 2: And are you a like did you always dream of
[20:51] Speaker 2: playing for the rabbit Os?
[20:52] Speaker 1: Yeah, so it was South, then you went to the
[20:55] Speaker 1: Dogs the Storm now back at South Agin Yeah so
[20:59] Speaker 1: I went.
[20:59] Speaker 4: Yeah, we actually we actually had a game and we did.
[21:02] Speaker 4: We played that cup game. So twenty twenty just for COVID,
[21:05] Speaker 4: me and Brono played Round one of New South Wales
[21:08] Speaker 4: Cup together and then that midweek went into lockdown, so
[21:12] Speaker 4: it was crazy.
[21:13] Speaker 3: So the boys that were obviously full time at that
[21:15] Speaker 3: point went into the bubble or is that how it worked?
[21:18] Speaker 2: And then yeah, well I wasn't.
[21:19] Speaker 3: I wasn't full time any I did a preseason whatever
[21:22] Speaker 3: it was, and then I just got shafted, so I
[21:25] Speaker 3: had nothing, nothing doing until the following year when it
[21:28] Speaker 3: restarted back up and I went to Newtown. Yeah yeah, yeah,
[21:31] Speaker 3: got picked up from Melbourn from Newtown.
[21:33] Speaker 1: So he just won the Grand final? Are you the new.
[21:36] Speaker 3: Town waned in twenty It would have been twenty nineteen, okay,
[21:39] Speaker 3: and then they won it again.
[21:40] Speaker 2: I think it was twenty two. Mcgoole is one or
[21:44] Speaker 2: twenty two? Easy ordeal. A Newtown is a throat goat.
[21:49] Speaker 1: Mcgooley's who crazy?
[21:51] Speaker 2: Mcgooley's you've done it again throat goat. So McGonagall, you
[21:55] Speaker 2: got you got signed to Storm when you were twenty five? Yep, yeah,
[22:00] Speaker 2: of twenty five, like relatively late bloomer. Well, there are
[22:03] Speaker 2: times during that period where you're going because I think
[22:06] Speaker 2: when you're in it, especially like even even young kids
[22:09] Speaker 2: who are playing SG ball, which is under nineteenth, they
[22:11] Speaker 2: feel like if they don't make it SG ball, they
[22:13] Speaker 2: don't make under twenties, they almost feel like their career
[22:16] Speaker 2: is done. The natural progression is they think they have
[22:19] Speaker 2: to play these rep rep teams, which is just not
[22:22] Speaker 2: the case because you can develop at any age. Were
[22:24] Speaker 2: there are times during that where you were like, like,
[22:26] Speaker 2: Footy's done for me? Yeah, I reckon. It was multiple time.
[22:28] Speaker 3: I didn't play mats, I didn't play ball, only played
[22:32] Speaker 3: four games of twenties my first year. So I was
[22:35] Speaker 3: never I was never a superstar by any means. I
[22:39] Speaker 3: look at some of the players I play twenties with,
[22:41] Speaker 3: I don't know how most of them didn't even make it,
[22:43] Speaker 3: you know. But I put it down to me old man.
[22:46] Speaker 3: He always said, don't don't sack yourself. There's going to
[22:49] Speaker 3: be coaches that tell you, tap you on the shoulder
[22:51] Speaker 3: and tell you to go. But if you just stick
[22:53] Speaker 3: in there and hang in there, then if you keep
[22:56] Speaker 3: working hard, then something's going to happen. And I look
[22:59] Speaker 3: back at that at Newtown and it was probably my
[23:01] Speaker 3: last roll at the dice. I was like, this is
[23:05] Speaker 3: my last crack and that's that's probably the point at
[23:06] Speaker 3: twenty five where you've got to kind of make a
[23:08] Speaker 3: decision whether you go back to full time work or
[23:10] Speaker 3: you keep persevering with part time footing. And I pretty
[23:13] Speaker 3: much said to myself after the COVID year, this is
[23:16] Speaker 3: this is it.
[23:17] Speaker 1: Tell me about the first day at Melbourne. I'll tell
[23:19] Speaker 1: him about the first tell him about the army camp.
[23:22] Speaker 2: Can you wait? Can you go back? That's not too
[23:24] Speaker 2: far ahead? Sorry? But how who got in touch about?
[23:27] Speaker 2: When did you realize Melbourne was on the cards?
[23:29] Speaker 3: I got a call from a manager at the time
[23:31] Speaker 3: and he said he pretty much said, he's sitting down.
[23:34] Speaker 3: I was like, what are you talking about. He's like,
[23:36] Speaker 3: I've got a call from Melbourne. I think it was Bunny, Yeah,
[23:40] Speaker 3: Paul Bunn. Maybe Jordy he likes to.
[23:43] Speaker 1: Say, or Bunny. He just scouts around looking for his
[23:47] Speaker 1: potential players.
[23:48] Speaker 2: Single mum said.
[23:55] Speaker 3: But got a phone call for a manager and it
[23:59] Speaker 3: kind of have a really quick because I was That
[24:01] Speaker 3: was after the season got canceled again through COVID, so
[24:04] Speaker 3: twenty one midway through twenty one and there was a
[24:08] Speaker 3: there was offer on the table and mel Man said,
[24:11] Speaker 3: you just got to you just got to take it.
[24:12] Speaker 3: Whatever it is, just take it. And it was a
[24:13] Speaker 3: development contract which was sixty grand.
[24:15] Speaker 2: Sixty grand, yeah about that. And I was like, I
[24:19] Speaker 2: didn't think.
[24:20] Speaker 3: Any anything more of at the time about actually moving
[24:22] Speaker 3: away from my family and stuff like that.
[24:24] Speaker 2: But what was your first impression, like meeting belly ache
[24:28] Speaker 2: and that like your first.
[24:29] Speaker 3: Inter nervous as I was actually lucky that I moved
[24:33] Speaker 3: down there by myself without my missus first, and I
[24:36] Speaker 3: moved in with Jonah Peasant and Jack Howarth, Yes, into it,
[24:39] Speaker 3: into the you've just seen this house at Dad drove
[24:44] Speaker 3: down with me and we rocked down his alleyway and
[24:45] Speaker 3: it's full of graffiti and there might have been a
[24:47] Speaker 3: junkie shooting up in the in the side alley.
[24:50] Speaker 2: Yeah, Andrew Johnson, Now, but where they were you're a
[24:54] Speaker 2: Victoria Street. I remember when the house you'd moved into
[24:57] Speaker 2: Victoria Street in Richmond, which was it was and far
[25:00] Speaker 2: from where Harry and I and wish he lived at
[25:02] Speaker 2: the time. But Victoria's Ship was known in Richmond had
[25:05] Speaker 2: a like a like a legal heroinic yeah, like people
[25:09] Speaker 2: projecting him, so give them safe needles for people who
[25:12] Speaker 2: wanted to do in jack heroin and things like that.
[25:14] Speaker 2: So Victoria Street was like it was very rundown. There
[25:18] Speaker 2: were some strange characters getting around. It was also like
[25:21] Speaker 2: riddled with massage parlors, which would have been very good
[25:23] Speaker 2: for Jonah Pezzant.
[25:25] Speaker 3: But I actually caught Christian Well was a couple of
[25:28] Speaker 3: times ducking in the left foot side step.
[25:32] Speaker 2: He hasn't the real estate left foot, but it was
[25:38] Speaker 2: a very like it would have. It's actually I wouldn't
[25:41] Speaker 2: say it was like dangerous for three footballers being down there,
[25:43] Speaker 2: but if you're walking around at night, especially if like
[25:46] Speaker 2: any of your partners were around, you wouldn't want to
[25:48] Speaker 2: be in walking around around there.
[25:50] Speaker 1: No, no, but heroin to people are on heroin, it's
[25:53] Speaker 1: less dangerous than people these days on meth. Like if
[25:56] Speaker 1: people are on heroin, they don't generally them they're they're
[26:00] Speaker 1: they're they're very passive, they're out of it. That's the
[26:04] Speaker 1: biggest danger because well obviously.
[26:06] Speaker 4: Not obviously not medical professionals. So anyone here that's thinking
[26:09] Speaker 4: about this sort of stuff, we do not take our.
[26:11] Speaker 1: Word for Joey and I are Newcastle one morning doing
[26:14] Speaker 1: extras and we look over and this blokes stand and
[26:16] Speaker 1: they're watching.
[26:17] Speaker 2: Us in like a track suit, you know, like this
[26:19] Speaker 2: is a while ago, right, You and Joey won't do
[26:20] Speaker 2: an extras recently. We weren't.
[26:23] Speaker 1: It's for arguing and uh we're looking over like late
[26:27] Speaker 1: nineties and this guy standing there wearing the type of
[26:30] Speaker 1: track suit that you're either a box or a junkie,
[26:34] Speaker 1: and he was both. It was both and he just
[26:38] Speaker 1: just collapsed boom hit the ground and we're like fuck.
[26:41] Speaker 2: Anyway.
[26:41] Speaker 1: He had a woman next to him, who Philly.
[26:46] Speaker 2: She just ran off.
[26:48] Speaker 1: Well are we going to do? So we're grabbing him
[26:50] Speaker 1: and shaking them, so we'reing the the ambos and the
[26:53] Speaker 1: MBAs turned up and just hit him with adrenaline to
[26:55] Speaker 1: get him going again. When he come out of it,
[26:57] Speaker 1: he just went berserk because they pulled him.
[26:59] Speaker 2: Out of his high so he was enjoying himself.
[27:02] Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, yes, there's adrenaline shots.
[27:06] Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, it's like the pop fiction, you.
[27:08] Speaker 2: Know, you put them the adrenaline. Does they put that
[27:11] Speaker 2: straight in your heart?
[27:12] Speaker 1: Right?
[27:14] Speaker 2: Like lower they try and get three three roop cage?
[27:18] Speaker 2: I think yeah.
[27:19] Speaker 1: Through your chest plate.
[27:20] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gonna touch and close your heart. I don't
[27:22] Speaker 4: think you can quite hit the heart. I wonder what
[27:24] Speaker 4: that I'm still rattled about. Junkie or a boxer.
[27:26] Speaker 2: That is so true, that is shorts. It's either a
[27:28] Speaker 2: junk they wash. Yeah, it'd be a really good arm
[27:33] Speaker 2: like like the Chase. But I could see Larry m
[27:35] Speaker 2: To hosting a TV show. It's like junkie or boxer,
[27:37] Speaker 2: and it's two pictures. You got to find there's a
[27:39] Speaker 2: really good Facebook page that I want. I go through
[27:43] Speaker 2: all the time. It's it's like dating or siblings. Have
[27:47] Speaker 2: you seen that? Oh, it's it's so fun. You just
[27:50] Speaker 2: go through and it's like they have pictures of like siblings,
[27:53] Speaker 2: and then they'll find pictures of people who are dating,
[27:55] Speaker 2: and you have to People will comment whether they think
[27:58] Speaker 2: they're brother and sister or their romance partners. And let
[28:01] Speaker 2: me tell you something, the answers will shock you.
[28:05] Speaker 1: After a summer both you actually start to you actually
[28:07] Speaker 1: start to take on each other's form a little bit,
[28:10] Speaker 1: like they say that married couples. Yeah, sames happened to
[28:12] Speaker 1: the Mongolians and the eagles. They get sure. Egle actually
[28:16] Speaker 1: starts to take on the human's form.
[28:19] Speaker 2: So where I don't know where we were, but go back,
[28:22] Speaker 2: you said, first time meeting belly ache.
[28:25] Speaker 3: Yeah, first time meeting belly ache. I don't think it
[28:27] Speaker 3: was much of a meeting, to be honest, like it
[28:28] Speaker 3: was I was. I was nervous as I walked in there,
[28:31] Speaker 3: and obviously I wanted to go on Shaggy's hand and
[28:34] Speaker 3: say a lot to him, and it was yeah, good mate,
[28:36] Speaker 3: has everything going.
[28:38] Speaker 2: That was pretty much just move on life free. You
[28:41] Speaker 2: hadn't he would, he would have jumped at that opportunity
[28:44] Speaker 2: because the abiliate loves free.
[28:46] Speaker 3: End up getting a few over the years too. Did
[28:48] Speaker 3: he ask That's all. That's all he ever asked about
[28:51] Speaker 3: as soon as he saw me.
[28:53] Speaker 1: So you hadn't met him prior to signing. No, so
[28:56] Speaker 1: you signed and then you had really yeah signed. I
[28:58] Speaker 1: spoke to Bunny. That was That was pretty much it.
[29:03] Speaker 2: Wow, that's weird. Spoke to BP Brian Feeling shout out
[29:06] Speaker 2: to Fiddley Feeling one of the great, one of the
[29:08] Speaker 2: great blokes down there, Brian is the well being of.
[29:11] Speaker 1: The army camp.
[29:12] Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so it was the first year I got there.
[29:15] Speaker 3: So that was end of twenty one leading twenty two,
[29:18] Speaker 3: I was gearing up to do the Army Camp. I
[29:19] Speaker 3: was living with Jonah and Jack at the time, and
[29:21] Speaker 3: that was when COVID was still still around and started
[29:25] Speaker 3: to go and test whatever every day, and those two
[29:28] Speaker 3: got COVID. This was the week leading into that camp.
[29:32] Speaker 3: So I don't know how I didn't get it, but
[29:34] Speaker 3: I was still like living with them, so they had
[29:39] Speaker 3: moved myself and Jack into another Airbnb and then they said, no,
[29:45] Speaker 3: we can't, we can't risk you bringing COVID potentially.
[29:48] Speaker 2: To how good. So she didn't do the army camp.
[29:51] Speaker 2: I did. I did the following year. The following it was.
[29:53] Speaker 3: It was probably worse because I had all this all
[29:55] Speaker 3: year the next year to think about it. But I
[29:59] Speaker 3: think think for me because I was a little bit older.
[30:03] Speaker 3: Sometimes when the young fellows go through those army camps whatever,
[30:07] Speaker 3: that is so green, they don't know what is going on.
[30:09] Speaker 3: But yeah, I didn't like it, but it was it
[30:13] Speaker 3: was something that you just had to get through.
[30:14] Speaker 1: The two months under a hard trained nune to your
[30:16] Speaker 1: belt exactly.
[30:17] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's one of those things you can you can
[30:19] Speaker 2: get age is really on your side, Like Jack Heatherington
[30:22] Speaker 2: just won the one just gone this year. Yeah, yeah,
[30:25] Speaker 2: but he's he's a bloke Heathrow who is the more training,
[30:29] Speaker 2: the preseasons you do, just the more mentally tougher and
[30:32] Speaker 2: you know what, you know what they're looking for, you
[30:34] Speaker 2: know what you need to like get the best out
[30:36] Speaker 2: of yourself. So the old when you were young, I
[30:38] Speaker 2: did it. Me and Harry did it our first year.
[30:41] Speaker 2: Harry's nine and I was eighteen, and our heads were
[30:44] Speaker 2: falling off, like their heads were falling off. Harry was
[30:46] Speaker 2: a lot more, believe it or not, mentally tough than me,
[30:48] Speaker 2: so he nearly won it. Brandon actually won it our year,
[30:52] Speaker 2: but Harry was a very close second. He was like
[30:55] Speaker 2: right underneath. But I think his age. Brandon was like
[30:58] Speaker 2: twenty three already when he he sort of won it.
[31:00] Speaker 2: Who won your wish?
[31:02] Speaker 3: I'm still a bit disappointed I didn't actually get the
[31:04] Speaker 3: win because wish.
[31:05] Speaker 1: He's always groveling.
[31:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, he's always in there.
[31:10] Speaker 1: He's got nose up. Malmoninger's with a big contract to
[31:13] Speaker 1: Perth Bears.
[31:14] Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, good on him. Human means it means to
[31:20] Speaker 3: you'd be getting full back money to means, wouldn't he
[31:22] Speaker 3: means to an end, Ye wish she had it, like
[31:25] Speaker 3: I feel moving to Perth.
[31:28] Speaker 2: I mean it's it's a big move. That's a huge
[31:30] Speaker 2: move for a player. And when she signed five years
[31:33] Speaker 2: oh god, why would you do it? The money? Yeah,
[31:37] Speaker 2: it's probably a fair point. Yeah, money's not everything though,
[31:40] Speaker 2: it's really not. How much are you making this year, Bron, Yeah,
[31:44] Speaker 2: I'll tell you after I write it down for you.
[31:46] Speaker 1: We're actually bringing out Maddy Saucy drolls. It's bigger on meat.
[31:52] Speaker 2: What's run us through? The first sort of your time
[31:55] Speaker 2: out the storm coming through because there's a lot of
[31:57] Speaker 2: good characters out there. Who is who is your sort
[31:59] Speaker 2: of your favorites? And amongst the group playing groups, very
[32:03] Speaker 2: tight playing group, Yeah, it is.
[32:04] Speaker 3: Everyone's very close down there. But I think it was
[32:07] Speaker 3: it was handing me moving in with two of the
[32:09] Speaker 3: boys first. And Jack Howarth. He's the funniest blow hands
[32:13] Speaker 3: down that I've ever met. And he without without doing anything,
[32:20] Speaker 3: he just gets the boys together just because how funny
[32:22] Speaker 3: is you know? And there's a good crew of boys
[32:24] Speaker 3: that are really like, everyone's really close, but there's there's
[32:26] Speaker 3: a yeah, there's a core group of blokes that really
[32:29] Speaker 3: sticks together, and obviously you were down there in the
[32:32] Speaker 3: house with Harry and Wishy and you kind of got
[32:35] Speaker 3: boys around and getting there and of a beer.
[32:38] Speaker 2: But it's we had a like how like you said,
[32:40] Speaker 2: Jack Howard. If people don't know like which he doesn't
[32:44] Speaker 2: really advertise it that well to the outside world, but
[32:46] Speaker 2: people who come into the club and see what he's like,
[32:50] Speaker 2: he's got to be one of the weirdest, funniest blokes
[32:53] Speaker 2: you've ever seen. But like you said, he's not trying
[32:55] Speaker 2: to be funny. A lot of the time. He's just
[32:57] Speaker 2: so dry and weird that he's just he his humor
[33:01] Speaker 2: just floods out from the plane.
[33:02] Speaker 1: Give me an example.
[33:05] Speaker 2: He's big on Managina's do you know how You're So
[33:09] Speaker 2: you'll be in the shower and you'll just hear like cool,
[33:11] Speaker 2: and you'll look behind and he's just staring at you,
[33:14] Speaker 2: like no expression on his face, but he's doing like
[33:16] Speaker 2: he's tucked his appendage between his leags and he would
[33:19] Speaker 2: just be staring like his masks. And remember the he
[33:22] Speaker 2: used to send so every he put on Snapchat, there
[33:27] Speaker 2: are filters, So there's filters that sort of change the
[33:30] Speaker 2: distortion of your face. And he'd go through the filters
[33:32] Speaker 2: finding ones that he could that looked like other players,
[33:36] Speaker 2: and then he'd send through videos impersonating that player and
[33:40] Speaker 2: they were so like, so accurate and so funny. It
[33:44] Speaker 2: go for like a minute and a half and he'd
[33:45] Speaker 2: just be like doing this monologue pretending to be like
[33:47] Speaker 2: Sean Blaw or so.
[33:50] Speaker 3: Funny, and he'd be like that around the boys, but
[33:53] Speaker 3: he'd be he'd be really weird around the coach and
[33:56] Speaker 3: stuff like that. So what we started doing was getting
[33:57] Speaker 3: those videos you put in and put them in the
[33:59] Speaker 3: team meeting. Would look over again, Jack, what is that.
[34:04] Speaker 2: Be beaten potatoes? What the fuck you doing?
[34:06] Speaker 1: It's concentrate your fucking football.
[34:09] Speaker 2: His first ever pre season I think it was twenty
[34:12] Speaker 2: twenty one, maybe post COVID we're doing We're Geelong camp.
[34:15] Speaker 2: So did two weeks at Geelong camp and Harry and
[34:19] Speaker 2: I were doing like a presentation. They get players up
[34:22] Speaker 2: to a presentation sort of around some stuff. They might
[34:24] Speaker 2: give you a task like do a presentation on the
[34:27] Speaker 2: ninety ninety nine Storm team, or do a presentation on
[34:30] Speaker 2: this specific player, so like players are learning.
[34:33] Speaker 1: Jenny Williams didn't.
[34:34] Speaker 2: Yeah, I had Danny Williams. So we're doing a presentation
[34:36] Speaker 2: of Danny Williams. But we ended up finding a We
[34:40] Speaker 2: ended up finding this video on Jack Howise TikTok and
[34:44] Speaker 2: he used to make tiktoks relentless. He still sort of does,
[34:47] Speaker 2: but not advertised, and it was a video of him.
[34:50] Speaker 2: I think it was like him and Brendan Pakura from
[34:54] Speaker 2: the Broncos and they were playing Australian schoolboys together and
[34:57] Speaker 2: they're doing this TikTok like dance on and it's like
[35:00] Speaker 2: a dance skit and the song was like, wow, you
[35:03] Speaker 2: can really dance and they do. It's so weird and
[35:06] Speaker 2: we hadn't seen this weird side of how yet. So
[35:09] Speaker 2: we put it up and mate, everybody in this stage,
[35:12] Speaker 2: he's like eighteen, potentially even seventeen, and he's been there
[35:15] Speaker 2: for two three weeks at this training thing. We put
[35:17] Speaker 2: it up in front and everybody just I remember Belly
[35:21] Speaker 2: going this blot like.
[35:23] Speaker 4: It was all.
[35:24] Speaker 2: It could have ruined a career because a coach watching
[35:27] Speaker 2: that would go, this bloke's not like, this bloke's not
[35:29] Speaker 2: a regular.
[35:30] Speaker 3: Get a start really after that for three years it's
[35:34] Speaker 3: grand too. He'd be able to get blokes up after
[35:38] Speaker 3: a big session of this spy. You just look at
[35:40] Speaker 3: him and you go, this this guy is just there's
[35:42] Speaker 3: something about this bloke that's just not not right. Yeah,
[35:45] Speaker 3: he just looked at him and he just he just
[35:47] Speaker 3: pulled a face or whatever. And I think that's what
[35:50] Speaker 3: kind of attracted everyone to how he so the when
[35:53] Speaker 3: he get married, getting in in November.
[35:58] Speaker 1: Aout dark horse in It's cool. Oh yeah, you know, yeah, yeah,
[36:03] Speaker 1: all through go and see Gaz and Gale.
[36:06] Speaker 2: You know we should do. I'll can I bring plus
[36:09] Speaker 2: two who you are and bring them on. Yeah, they
[36:14] Speaker 2: don't need food or a table that will bring their wheelchairs,
[36:17] Speaker 2: but I'll need shiploads of piers. Mom's as bad as dad. Yeah,
[36:22] Speaker 2: when did you When did you get your first debut
[36:24] Speaker 2: at the Storm?
[36:26] Speaker 3: Debut was twenty three Round one, twenty three.
[36:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, a few other's debut that game.
[36:32] Speaker 3: No, that was the that was the twenty two year
[36:34] Speaker 3: I think I think that was the wishy debut. Round
[36:36] Speaker 3: one of that game McDonald's McDonald dave. Yeah, but yeah,
[36:40] Speaker 3: round one of the following year. It was the game
[36:43] Speaker 3: Harry scored in Golden Point.
[36:45] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, harrah, yep, Yeah, because I was actually leading
[36:49] Speaker 2: into this potty. I tested Harry and I said, what
[36:51] Speaker 2: you've got any questions for Bronson? First thing he said
[36:54] Speaker 2: was ask him about the gimp suit gives He loves
[36:57] Speaker 2: that photo. It's a photo of it. Is there a
[36:59] Speaker 2: photo you wearing some.
[37:00] Speaker 3: Seres mean little brother had to eat for his twenty
[37:02] Speaker 3: first had a Gothic theme party and I went all out.
[37:06] Speaker 2: I was I was in a gibsuit.
[37:07] Speaker 3: I love it, and so they somehow I found this
[37:11] Speaker 3: gimsuit photo and put it up one of my first
[37:13] Speaker 3: days at training on the.
[37:16] Speaker 1: Probably the meaning one of the greatest characters cinema history
[37:19] Speaker 1: when they pull out the gampion, when Z and Maynard
[37:22] Speaker 1: pull out the gamp in pulp fiction. You've seen that.
[37:24] Speaker 1: So I've got a fucking suit.
[37:26] Speaker 2: Bra.
[37:27] Speaker 1: I don't usually talk like a teenager, but Bra, there's
[37:30] Speaker 1: no other way to express it. It's it's pretty, it's hardcore.
[37:35] Speaker 2: Is it is this funny? That's so horny?
[37:38] Speaker 1: It's so horny, extremely so who But.
[37:42] Speaker 2: Then another question yet, this was actually a serious question
[37:45] Speaker 2: you guys ask Bronson about is because the Storm have
[37:50] Speaker 2: a second side that's called the Renegads. They're the boys
[37:52] Speaker 2: who aren't playing, and the boys who aren't playing, and
[37:54] Speaker 2: it can be hard for them sometimes because they're not
[37:56] Speaker 2: playing first grade, but they have quite a significant job
[37:59] Speaker 2: and pair in the NRL each week, and they've got
[38:02] Speaker 2: to get up emotionally and they got to train really
[38:04] Speaker 2: well to keep the training standing up. And he said,
[38:07] Speaker 2: can you ask Bronson about how he kept himself motivated
[38:11] Speaker 2: during that time he didn't play. He was down there,
[38:13] Speaker 2: He's twenty five to twenty six years I hadn't played
[38:14] Speaker 2: first grade there, but he was a big rallying part
[38:18] Speaker 2: of keeping the emotion up for the Renegades. Did you
[38:20] Speaker 2: take that as I did?
[38:23] Speaker 3: I felt like I was always in a position down
[38:25] Speaker 3: in Melbourne of I'm very lucky to be here, and
[38:28] Speaker 3: no matter obviously I wanted to be playing first grade.
[38:30] Speaker 3: And there were times there where I was injured and
[38:32] Speaker 3: you couldn't get back in the team just because the
[38:34] Speaker 3: other team was going. And there's two ways to look
[38:37] Speaker 3: at it. You you can sulk and you can come
[38:38] Speaker 3: in and be upset that you're not playing, or you
[38:40] Speaker 3: can get on with it and get the boys fired
[38:44] Speaker 3: up by training hard. And I felt like I did
[38:48] Speaker 3: a really good job of that and It wasn't. It
[38:50] Speaker 3: wasn't something that I wanted to be talked about in
[38:53] Speaker 3: that way. But I found that if I was training
[38:57] Speaker 3: hard and getting the Renegades up, I can get myself
[39:01] Speaker 3: back into the team.
[39:02] Speaker 1: Isn't that That's one other thing you said in Melbourne,
[39:04] Speaker 1: you very very rarely see or hear of players kicking
[39:07] Speaker 1: stones at Melbourne. That makes sense, but I suppose that's
[39:10] Speaker 1: having a really tight playing group and everyone being really
[39:14] Speaker 1: tight mates. I think that covers a lot of covers
[39:16] Speaker 1: a lot of that covers a lot of shortcomings, and like,
[39:19] Speaker 1: I just never hear of anyone, you know, basically coming
[39:22] Speaker 1: out in the media or complaining about Melbourne saying I
[39:24] Speaker 1: haven't been given a fair goal or anything like.
[39:26] Speaker 2: That like that.
[39:27] Speaker 1: They would probably be a little bit, but it's just
[39:30] Speaker 1: it seems as though it never festers.
[39:33] Speaker 3: I also found too the assistant coaches and ballyag as well,
[39:36] Speaker 3: that they're so clear in the way they give you
[39:39] Speaker 3: communication as well, so you're not I'm not coming in
[39:41] Speaker 3: and wondering if I'm going to be playing it, like
[39:44] Speaker 3: if I'm going to be there, and like they're telling you,
[39:47] Speaker 3: they're straight up, and I really appreciated that and that's
[39:51] Speaker 3: what allowed me to be a good renegador or a
[39:54] Speaker 3: teammate and.
[39:56] Speaker 1: Said, if you can't break bad news, you should be
[39:58] Speaker 1: a coach. So it's also like it's got a mad
[40:01] Speaker 1: culture there of they show a lot of appreciation.
[40:05] Speaker 2: To those boys, like they don't there's there's NRL clubs
[40:08] Speaker 2: where they all their attention is on the NRL side,
[40:11] Speaker 2: and it's very easy to kick stones because they're not
[40:14] Speaker 2: even looking at those boys who are in that Renegade,
[40:16] Speaker 2: that second side where is it Melbourne. There's so much
[40:19] Speaker 2: emphasis on those boys training well, having a good attitude,
[40:23] Speaker 2: and they will reward those boys for that, like they
[40:25] Speaker 2: will show you know, even though a bloke's not playing
[40:28] Speaker 2: first grade and in the video clips during the week,
[40:30] Speaker 2: they might show a really good clip of a Renegade
[40:33] Speaker 2: in there and go look at like this effort or
[40:35] Speaker 2: look at how they ran this shape. We can adopt
[40:37] Speaker 2: that like and they want it to be competitive. So
[40:40] Speaker 2: some days when we're in the Renegades bron like we
[40:42] Speaker 2: would we'd carve up the NRL side like playing and
[40:45] Speaker 2: they would encourage that, whereas a lot of other teams,
[40:47] Speaker 2: like one of other other teams still crack.
[40:53] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[40:54] Speaker 2: Still we're still weren't playing. But a lot of other
[40:57] Speaker 2: teams they will they will be like n just just
[41:00] Speaker 2: make it eat, almost like they would encourage them to
[41:03] Speaker 2: put them on show. They want them to feel good
[41:05] Speaker 2: going into the game, but essentially like they don't really
[41:08] Speaker 2: get anything out of that because if they go out
[41:09] Speaker 2: in the weekend, they've been training easy all week, A
[41:12] Speaker 2: good side like Penroth'll just put them to the sword. Well.
[41:15] Speaker 1: And the other thing it seems is though the most
[41:18] Speaker 1: experienced players in the NROL team respect the players in
[41:22] Speaker 1: the Renegades, and that would be that would not be
[41:24] Speaker 1: universal across the league. You get, you know, the most
[41:27] Speaker 1: senior players of some clubs treating even the younger blokes
[41:30] Speaker 1: in there side like shit. Some some clubs, you know,
[41:34] Speaker 1: I wouldn't say it's the culture, but there's some some
[41:36] Speaker 1: players like that.
[41:38] Speaker 2: Well.
[41:38] Speaker 4: It helps when you have great players like the novice
[41:41] Speaker 4: David Nofluma, couldn't you he was one of the great
[41:44] Speaker 4: renegads there for a little bit before he went back
[41:46] Speaker 4: into first grade.
[41:46] Speaker 2: Was the good Nopice was he was playing first go there.
[41:49] Speaker 2: He wasn't really a renegade, but the Nofice outrageous stuff.
[41:53] Speaker 2: I always talk about him on the party because it's
[41:56] Speaker 2: just he was so not a Craig Bellamy player like
[41:59] Speaker 2: in terms of but he was so refreshing for the
[42:01] Speaker 2: group because he does some weird stuff that like wasn't
[42:04] Speaker 2: in system of our defensive structure attacking structure, but it
[42:07] Speaker 2: would work because he was just a freaky player. And
[42:10] Speaker 2: he would say he was so not arrogant, but he
[42:14] Speaker 2: always say he was just so confident.
[42:16] Speaker 3: In himself even some like the meetings sometimes go for
[42:20] Speaker 3: a little bit too long and no one's saying anything
[42:22] Speaker 3: because everyone's very serious, and he's probably come from a
[42:25] Speaker 3: from the Tigers where it wasn't yeah serious. He'd stand
[42:28] Speaker 3: up and say something like like he'd made a good
[42:31] Speaker 3: tackle or something, and he goes, just another day in
[42:33] Speaker 3: the office.
[42:34] Speaker 2: He was just like, what are you saying that? Yeah,
[42:37] Speaker 2: I remember BELLI gave him a wrap around time and
[42:39] Speaker 2: he goes, Yes, just another day in the office. Bell
[42:42] Speaker 2: Belly goes what and he goes the office open three
[42:45] Speaker 2: hundred and sixty five days a year, no public holiday
[42:50] Speaker 2: of holidays at the Tigers.
[42:53] Speaker 1: But he's playing in Serbian now, isn't he still over
[42:56] Speaker 1: there playing I don't know.
[42:57] Speaker 2: If he's still playing. I don't know who would know.
[42:59] Speaker 1: He was a vision of him playing there to say
[43:02] Speaker 1: he's carving them up.
[43:03] Speaker 2: Yeah, did you see it on TikTok, Matthew, is a
[43:06] Speaker 2: TikTok that you saw?
[43:07] Speaker 1: It was not one by the Chinese Chinese Communist Party,
[43:11] Speaker 1: it is.
[43:11] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's been Dad's found, Like dad's been scrolling heaps.
[43:16] Speaker 2: Does your dad do TikTok? Oh? He's he's not TikTok.
[43:19] Speaker 3: He's Insta, but he doesn't doesn't post any but he
[43:21] Speaker 3: will go back and like like photos from four weeks
[43:24] Speaker 3: ago because he's not on their march, and so my
[43:26] Speaker 3: missus will get a thing short garlet like your photo.
[43:30] Speaker 2: Which is a dad to let people know. Like, if
[43:33] Speaker 2: you're liking someone's photos from probably longer than two weeks,
[43:36] Speaker 2: you'd say it's it's like you're trying to float with
[43:38] Speaker 2: you're flirting, So.
[43:41] Speaker 4: The algorithm main center around you, bro, I mean you're
[43:43] Speaker 4: going looking for them.
[43:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like a universal if you're wanting to let
[43:46] Speaker 2: someone know you're looking at their stuff.
[43:48] Speaker 1: Funny with TikTok because I never heard it worked. I'm
[43:50] Speaker 1: not joined a TikTok, but I can look at other stuff.
[43:52] Speaker 1: So I'm looking and I wasn't aware of the algorithm.
[43:55] Speaker 1: I'm laying a bit with Trish one night's TikTok ship.
[43:58] Speaker 1: It's just middle aged women dancing and sleep bikinis.
[44:05] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[44:09] Speaker 2: How hard was it Fait to leave Melbourne to sign?
[44:11] Speaker 2: Yeah it was.
[44:12] Speaker 3: It was so hard considering melbourneted to keep me as well,
[44:15] Speaker 3: which was even harder in itself. So when I really
[44:20] Speaker 3: wanted to go about it the right way, because you
[44:21] Speaker 3: hear of blokes leaving Melbourne and it's either falling out
[44:25] Speaker 3: or whatever happens. And I really wanted to stay on
[44:27] Speaker 3: Frank's good side and crazy good side, and I just
[44:30] Speaker 3: wanted to keep my update as much as I could
[44:32] Speaker 3: through the whole process of negotiating. And when I told
[44:35] Speaker 3: Frank that the reason for me coming back was was
[44:38] Speaker 3: because I've just had a baby and I wanted him
[44:40] Speaker 3: to be around my family. And I would have thought
[44:45] Speaker 3: Frank would have taken it worse than than belly A
[44:49] Speaker 3: what I called him. He goes fucking what I thought
[44:51] Speaker 3: you were staying? So yeah, he actually thought so. I
[44:55] Speaker 3: was that that kind of made me feel a little
[44:58] Speaker 3: bit like, am I doing the right thing? And but
[45:00] Speaker 3: then I actually went and sat down and spoke to him,
[45:02] Speaker 3: and he was like, mate, as long as you're doing
[45:04] Speaker 3: it for the right reason, then as long as we
[45:06] Speaker 3: dont Because this was probably in June when I sagned
[45:09] Speaker 3: last year that he goes, as long as your train
[45:11] Speaker 3: doesn't drop off and you're not focused on leaving at
[45:13] Speaker 3: the end of the year, then all good. But if
[45:16] Speaker 3: I do see that, then I'm not going to pick
[45:18] Speaker 3: it or whatever whatever happens.
[45:20] Speaker 2: Like Bellaic has changed so much over the year. Even
[45:24] Speaker 2: from like the first year out there twenty end of
[45:27] Speaker 2: twenty seventeen, it was very like he was very intimidating,
[45:30] Speaker 2: was a little bit distant to the players, like he
[45:33] Speaker 2: keep an arm's length so he could be that disciplinarian.
[45:36] Speaker 2: Whereas now, like I look at how he is from
[45:39] Speaker 2: then to twenty twenty six this year, like that arm's length.
[45:43] Speaker 2: It's almost like he's evolved as the game's evolved. I
[45:46] Speaker 2: think Covid really broke down that barrier of the military coach,
[45:51] Speaker 2: like it's more about having a personal relationship with players
[45:55] Speaker 2: in the modern game. I think, so he's like so
[45:57] Speaker 2: much closer with everyone in the playing group, not just
[46:00] Speaker 2: the senior players, like from the senior players down to
[46:02] Speaker 2: people who were down there for their who might not
[46:04] Speaker 2: even be playing first go. They might be rookies down there,
[46:07] Speaker 2: but he's very like he'll catch up with everyone in
[46:09] Speaker 2: the off season, like we caught up with him for
[46:10] Speaker 2: a beer over New Year's and cool and gadda, and
[46:13] Speaker 2: he's just very Maybe it might be because he's getting
[46:15] Speaker 2: older too. I've sort of dialed it down a little bit,
[46:18] Speaker 2: but seeing the end, I imagine that makes it In
[46:21] Speaker 2: the end, I imagine that makes it very hard for
[46:24] Speaker 2: like players to leave now because he's not as like
[46:27] Speaker 2: aggressive as people see him on the TV.
[46:29] Speaker 3: He's just genuine too. And I don't know if he
[46:33] Speaker 3: puts it down to this, but I remember when I
[46:34] Speaker 3: was telling him that I was about to have a
[46:35] Speaker 3: baby and he was telling me that when he had
[46:37] Speaker 3: his grandchildren that it kind of mellowed him out a bit.
[46:41] Speaker 3: And it was around that time and Smithy actually went
[46:44] Speaker 3: to him and said, mate, what's going on. You're going
[46:46] Speaker 3: you're going soft, like what's happened? And it was literally
[46:48] Speaker 3: when his first granddaughter was born. So I don't know
[46:50] Speaker 3: if that's got anything to do with it.
[46:52] Speaker 2: But yeah, they say, they say having like if you're
[46:56] Speaker 2: males who have daughters or granddaughters. At really he slows
[47:00] Speaker 2: him up like Uncle Joey when he I would say,
[47:03] Speaker 2: having Alice his daughter. Because he's had a twenty six
[47:07] Speaker 2: year old, sixteen year old now six year old, he's
[47:09] Speaker 2: ten years apart. He works like a blood moon, he does.
[47:12] Speaker 2: He's Haley's Hailey's common Hayley's comment. And but that's where
[47:16] Speaker 2: I think that's been a very calming influence on him.
[47:19] Speaker 2: So because even Ruben Garriy just had it. You've got
[47:21] Speaker 2: a young boy, Hudson, and he's got a better hairline
[47:23] Speaker 2: than you. Parker. Yeah, two, who you know? His name's Parker?
[47:28] Speaker 2: Who's Hudson, Hudson? Who's Hudson Hudson? Young? No, I wouldn't
[47:34] Speaker 2: think you would have given birth the Hudson yar Now
[47:37] Speaker 2: he's one his term one? The hell is Hudson? What
[47:41] Speaker 2: did I think your baby was called Hudson all this time?
[47:43] Speaker 4: You know?
[47:43] Speaker 2: When I saw you, when I saw it, when I
[47:45] Speaker 2: saw you and Georgie out in Bondo the other day
[47:47] Speaker 2: and we were having a beer, I kept calling him
[47:49] Speaker 2: Hudson to her. She never picked it up. I don't
[47:50] Speaker 2: know what she was, probably pissed. I don't know.
[47:54] Speaker 1: That he's one of his secret source in the last
[47:56] Speaker 1: fifteen years or so has been Frank Pernisian Paul Bunn.
[47:59] Speaker 1: I mean, assistance have come and gone. But that's a
[48:02] Speaker 1: very good team. To have Bunny on one side recruiting
[48:05] Speaker 1: those players and have Frank with all the organ organizational skills,
[48:09] Speaker 1: it's massive for the club.
[48:11] Speaker 2: Who's who are the assistants at South Sydney this.
[48:13] Speaker 3: Year, Ben Hornby, Steve Antonelli and John Sutton.
[48:18] Speaker 2: They've been there for a very long time.
[48:20] Speaker 1: As I said before, Madge said, John Sutton's the smartest
[48:24] Speaker 1: players ever coached. Yeah, and Benny Horney's got a yeah.
[48:29] Speaker 2: Interesting, we can't refer to it. He gets the ship's
[48:33] Speaker 2: very actually tell bronso he can just added it out
[48:41] Speaker 2: Jack's guard. What did you ask you?
[48:45] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[48:46] Speaker 4: Yeah, I got Jason Riles when he was an assistant
[48:49] Speaker 4: in the Storm, grabbed me during COVID. We had a
[48:51] Speaker 4: game against the Storm and he grabbed me. After the game,
[48:53] Speaker 4: we have a laugh and he said, oh yeah, we
[48:56] Speaker 4: called him this and I went sweat. I called Benny
[48:59] Speaker 4: that name and I'm not going to say it. And
[49:02] Speaker 4: we were literally one on one and he.
[49:03] Speaker 2: Just sprayed me one on one. I was like, oh, okay,
[49:06] Speaker 2: So I don't know. Yeah, they eventually en up sucking
[49:10] Speaker 2: him Jack for that reason. I don't know if it
[49:14] Speaker 2: was for that reason, Bronson, I'm not sure. Thanks Thanks Rosan, Yeah,
[49:20] Speaker 2: thanks coming on, Bro. I really appreciate you coming on.
[49:22] Speaker 1: You know, the first time Jack and I met you, Bronson,
[49:26] Speaker 1: do you know?
[49:28] Speaker 4: Hell?
[49:28] Speaker 2: Okay?
[49:30] Speaker 1: The year was nineteen ninety eight.
[49:33] Speaker 2: How would you know? How would you remember that?
[49:35] Speaker 1: You wouldn't you'd have been at that point. I imagine
[49:38] Speaker 1: you'd be about three or four. Yeah, it would have
[49:40] Speaker 1: been three or four, and you are your mom and dad, yourself.
[49:47] Speaker 1: We're sitting on the plane, sitting on a plane, come
[49:50] Speaker 1: back from Bali and we're sitting on the suits.
[49:52] Speaker 2: Next year, Jack was.
[49:54] Speaker 3: A I think that was would have been my first
[49:57] Speaker 3: overseas trip.
[49:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, and I hate Bali. I said I would
[50:03] Speaker 1: never go back. That was and Trish talked me into
[50:06] Speaker 1: it last year and it was every bit the hell hole.
[50:08] Speaker 1: I remember. Yeah, well crook again and you know, it
[50:12] Speaker 1: was crazy.
[50:12] Speaker 2: I would have been in mum's belly then in the eye. Actually, no,
[50:18] Speaker 2: you did?
[50:18] Speaker 1: You got conceived in Bali? Yeah?
[50:20] Speaker 2: Yeah, how dad were a single thing? Where did you
[50:23] Speaker 2: get where'd you conceive it?
[50:25] Speaker 4: Yeah?
[50:31] Speaker 2: Where's the location?
[50:33] Speaker 3: Oh?
[50:33] Speaker 1: If it was jib and Bay, you are so able
[50:40] Speaker 1: to just we'll just beep that.
[50:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, leave that up to I don't think it's
[50:45] Speaker 2: going to take much imagining. I think they're going to
[50:47] Speaker 2: know exactly. There's only two there. Brunton just repeated it.
[50:52] Speaker 2: There's only two locations. They can narrow it down to.
[50:55] Speaker 1: No, I'd say they're buddy six.
[50:58] Speaker 2: Six or seven? You reckon six seven? Do you get
[51:01] Speaker 2: that reference yet? Six seven? Do you get that? That?
[51:05] Speaker 1: Is that something you young guys do?
[51:07] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what Hudson doesn't. His name is Parker, Mate Parker,
[51:12] Speaker 2: Peter Parker, Well mate, brother, Thanks coming on, mate, Very
[51:15] Speaker 2: excited for the year ahead for you and South Sydney.
[51:18] Speaker 2: It looks like there's a bit of a buzz around there.
[51:20] Speaker 2: Were excited to see a lot of those players. And
[51:22] Speaker 2: Adam Elliott, friend of the Potty, our favorite players, he's.
[51:26] Speaker 3: Our favorite training and he's he's just jumped trading. He's
[51:29] Speaker 3: he's going to be really good. I think he's high energy.
[51:32] Speaker 2: He's got the which is good. I think you need that.
[51:36] Speaker 2: Do we ring him his birthday
