[0:08] SPEAKER_07: Welcome back to Numbers on the Board.
[0:10] SPEAKER_07: Numbers on the Boyds! We are back after a long week in Las Vegas for Summer League.
[0:18] SPEAKER_07: I know a lot of y'all were looking for that live show.
[0:20] SPEAKER_07: Don't worry.
[0:21] SPEAKER_07: It will be out later this week, but we gotta get back to your regular scheduled programming.
[0:26] SPEAKER_07: Fellas, how we doing, man?
[0:28] SPEAKER_00: Feel good to be home, man.
[0:29] SPEAKER_00: It was a realization last night when I was taking my suitcase up the stairs to my room.
[0:33] SPEAKER_00: I was like, shit, I'm home.
[0:35] SPEAKER_00: Like I'm actually home now.
[0:37] SPEAKER_00: And like the first thing that you eat?
[0:41] SPEAKER_00: Did it satisfy?
[0:42] SPEAKER_00: It was alright.
[0:43] SPEAKER_00: It wasn't all right.
[0:44] SPEAKER_07: That sucks when you're looking forward to something and it don't hit the way you wanted.
[0:47] SPEAKER_07: It's the first thing y'all ate.
[0:49] SPEAKER_07: Oh I I just made a sandwich.
[0:52] SPEAKER_07: Oh.
[0:54] SPEAKER_07: At home sandwiches.
[0:55] SPEAKER_07: Home sandwiches would be.
[0:56] SPEAKER_07: We were just on the road for five five days, and we I ate out every single day for every meal.
[1:01] SPEAKER_07: And I'm not acting like a turkey sandwich is good for you, but I just did I I didn't want to order something to go get something.
[1:06] SPEAKER_07: I just wanted to make something at the crib.
[1:08] SPEAKER_07: How about you, Mike?
[1:10] SPEAKER_04: I got back in the morning, so I actually had some breakfast.
[1:13] SPEAKER_04: My girl made something for me.
[1:14] SPEAKER_04: Okay.
[1:15] SPEAKER_03: I had a little um bone of beef.
[1:18] SPEAKER_03: Were y'all on the same flight?
[1:19] SPEAKER_03: Salad.
[1:20] SPEAKER_07: Y'all too.
[1:20] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
[1:21] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
[1:22] SPEAKER_03: I think he was in the back of the plane, though.
[1:25] SPEAKER_03: I couldn't, yeah, I couldn't move around.
[1:26] SPEAKER_03: The only reason I say that is because uh I remember like getting off the plane, getting a baggage claim, getting my stuff, and he was just now.
[1:35] SPEAKER_03: I'm leaving, he's just now going to be able to do it.
[1:37] SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, no, I also had to go to the bathroom and I peed for so long.
[1:40] SPEAKER_00: That was crazy.
[1:41] SPEAKER_03: I'm leaving, like, where the hell was you at this whole time?
[1:43] SPEAKER_03: He was so far, I was like, Yeah.
[1:47] SPEAKER_07: No, we had a hell of a time.
[1:49] SPEAKER_07: We shot some really cool content.
[1:50] SPEAKER_07: Pierre had a bunch of interviews that you'll see.
[1:52] SPEAKER_07: We had a very special Enjoy basketball video with a with a player that I think is one of our best videos we've ever done.
[1:58] SPEAKER_07: And of course, like I mentioned, the live show.
[1:59] SPEAKER_07: Shout out to everybody that bought tickets.
[2:01] SPEAKER_07: Um, got to see some people that have been a part of the community for a very long time, meet some new faces, and overall, next time we do a live show, y'all.
[2:13] SPEAKER_03: I know y'all be ready to get to the episode, but listen to what KB be saying and read the flyer and stuff, right?
[2:18] SPEAKER_03: Somebody, uh my boy Eric Sorez, I went live on Twitch yesterday for college football.
[2:24] SPEAKER_03: And um he was like, Yeah, man, P, I was at the show.
[2:27] SPEAKER_03: I was just very frustrated with myself because I wanted to meet y'all but didn't buy a VIP ticket.
[2:32] SPEAKER_03: I didn't understand.
[2:33] SPEAKER_03: And so I'm like, bro, KB give a whole little spiel when we promoting the show.
[2:38] SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
[2:38] SPEAKER_03: So like I yeah, I told him next time we'll make sure we specify that there is like different tickets.
[2:43] SPEAKER_03: You don't just buy a ticket and get into the meeting greet.
[2:45] SPEAKER_03: It's like a VIP ticket.
[2:47] SPEAKER_03: Um, so I just wanted to put that out there for everybody in the future.
[2:50] SPEAKER_03: Cause yeah, I think that would have been a good time, uh, a good meeting greet to go to because that was a little chiller one versus how uh the the the Brooklyn or some of the other ones was.
[3:00] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, we got um our next live show probably is not until the start of next uh upcoming season.
[3:05] SPEAKER_07: So y'all got some time.
[3:07] SPEAKER_07: Uh I don't know what city it's gonna be in.
[3:09] SPEAKER_07: Okay, I'm lying, but I can't tell you what city it's gonna be in.
[3:12] SPEAKER_07: Um but the live show is always a vibe, so I know we promote them all the time.
[3:16] SPEAKER_07: You you don't want to miss out on a great, great show and the community part of it all.
[3:20] SPEAKER_03: Shout out to all the people that fly in too.
[3:22] SPEAKER_03: I was about to say that was my biggest thing about the Vegas show because Vegas is not a home staple for a lot of people, and it's not an NBA city necessarily just yet, even though they do summer league there every year.
[3:32] SPEAKER_03: But like a lot of the people that we've seen in the crowd and that we're familiar with, or the people that we talked to, and they are not based in Vegas.
[3:39] SPEAKER_03: So shout out to y'all for coming out um and traveling.
[3:42] SPEAKER_03: A lot of people also during the meet and greet was telling me that um when I was saying like Vegas is just a good time to be at when it's summer league, they was like, they took that advice to come out there and they didn't regret it.
[3:53] SPEAKER_03: So um, yeah, man.
[3:54] SPEAKER_03: Like Kamari is not a Vegas guy uh guy, Devin.
[3:59] SPEAKER_03: Um Daily is not, you know, uh Chase pulled up on us.
[4:04] SPEAKER_03: Uh he's not uh Vegas based.
[4:06] SPEAKER_03: So we gotta get the guy pulled up from Charlotte, who's not Vegas based.
[4:10] SPEAKER_06: Yeah, we have people from Utah, super low six, maybe not.
[4:13] SPEAKER_03: Mexico.
[4:13] SPEAKER_00: Somebody drove to Mexico to come kick it.
[4:15] SPEAKER_00: Like I'm just like, damn.
[4:16] SPEAKER_04: I think I always get the question too: do the live shows still make you like nervous, or do you get any anxiety or anything like that?
[4:22] SPEAKER_04: And it's honestly gotten to the point where I really don't at all.
[4:26] SPEAKER_04: And I think a lot of that is credit to the fans and everybody who comes to support us because they're coming for us, you know.
[4:33] SPEAKER_04: Half the time, or we're usually there a few days before the live show, and we get to meet up with some fans, whether it's at a game or just randomly, and they say, Hey man, I'm I'm at the lab show.
[4:43] SPEAKER_04: I got the I got the meet and greet tickets, man.
[4:46] SPEAKER_04: I'm bringing my homie, I'm gonna bring my girl, I'm gonna bro, they're coming to see us.
[4:50] SPEAKER_04: So they give us so much, or at least me, a lot of confidence in the just stuff that I do.
[4:55] SPEAKER_04: So that's the type of stuff that I love.
[4:58] SPEAKER_04: I'm a guy that always felt like I guess never really thought I could do this type of stuff, but to see just come naturally.
[5:03] SPEAKER_04: It's really from y'all.
[5:04] SPEAKER_04: So I always have a good time on the ships.
[5:07] SPEAKER_03: I think we're doing like an amazing job, us and the team.
[5:11] SPEAKER_03: Also, the part like to kind of piggyback off what you said.
[5:15] SPEAKER_03: When we first was doing the shows, I never thought like what the Vegas show just was, it would turn into that.
[5:20] SPEAKER_03: And it gives me so much confidence and hope about how we continue to evolve the show.
[5:27] SPEAKER_03: Because it started off, even when we did a whole tour, we did a whole tour where pretty much you got this and it was a live crowd.
[5:35] SPEAKER_03: It was like, here's a podcast, we're just doing it in front of you instead of at the studio.
[5:39] SPEAKER_03: Now it's an actual show where like we did half of it as podcasting, the other half we did a game that featured people from the crowd.
[5:47] SPEAKER_03: We had skits, like so.
[5:49] SPEAKER_03: We're continuing to build out like a world that you come to and more of an event versus just getting us talking about uh the trending topics in the NBA for an hour or two in front of you.
[6:00] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's like a way bigger thing.
[6:03] SPEAKER_03: And I know if we continue to build on that, it's gonna continue to get bigger and bigger and bigger, and then it'll be kind of like a concert experience because I remember seeing some of my favorite artists, their first shows was just them getting on stage and doing their songs, and then it's like now when you see Drake be the biggest rapper in the game, or he's coming from the ceiling, he's in the ceiling.
[6:23] SPEAKER_03: J.
[6:23] SPEAKER_03: Cole got like his album artwork decorated on the I remember like 14, uh 2014 Forest Hill, part of his set was like him on the roof, kind of like the album cover, and it just creates an experience versus a show, and I think we're actually kind of pushing towards that, and for us to be kind of like the forefathers of this, because I don't know another show that's like in the basketball world or just toured and did we're like setting uh we're pushing the envelope.
[6:48] SPEAKER_03: So I'm excited to see what else we can continue to add.
[6:51] SPEAKER_03: It would it would be dope for us to like do an official album and perform.
[6:56] SPEAKER_03: The dude, the DJ was playing some uh some of the songs before the show.
[7:00] SPEAKER_03: It's kind of crazy.
[7:01] SPEAKER_07: So I was listening to Beats yesterday.
[7:02] SPEAKER_03: Really?
[7:03] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so here we have here we are having a conversation again, y'all.
[7:07] SPEAKER_07: It happens every two months.
[7:08] SPEAKER_03: We had a conversation, but that was different being in the green room, getting mentally prepared for the show, and like hearing she ain't never seen this much money.
[7:15] SPEAKER_07: And he had it like blast and came out five years ago, and it sounded so good over the speakers.
[7:20] SPEAKER_03: I was I was kind of pissed when I was hearing him start some of the songs because I'm like, I don't know if these are made to be like played in a venue, yeah.
[7:28] SPEAKER_03: But nah, I was it was actually it was actually good.
[7:30] SPEAKER_07: Shout out to bro.
[7:31] SPEAKER_07: Um, addressing the elephant in the room, Mike, what the fuck?
[7:35] SPEAKER_07: What you mean?
[7:36] SPEAKER_07: You remember back in the day?
[7:38] SPEAKER_07: This is a this is a deep cut for the sort of OG fans.
[7:41] SPEAKER_07: Derek pulled up to through the wire with that Bull's jersey, no undershirt.
[7:46] SPEAKER_07: And we flame marketing jersey, yeah.
[7:48] SPEAKER_03: He was meeting some parents.
[7:49] SPEAKER_03: But that was like an actual fee he put together.
[7:51] SPEAKER_03: Like that was a fee he actually.
[7:53] SPEAKER_03: He was going to meet people for the first time.
[7:55] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
[7:56] SPEAKER_00: You was a wild boy.
[7:58] SPEAKER_00: Actually, that wasn't even my Laurie Marketing, that was my um LeBron jersey.
[8:02] SPEAKER_00: Yes, it was a LeBron jersey.
[8:04] SPEAKER_04: Right.
[8:04] SPEAKER_04: This, I'm coming to the studio after this.
[8:06] SPEAKER_04: I'm taking my ass home because I'm not gonna be wearing it.
[8:08] SPEAKER_04: It's gonna be like 96 degrees.
[8:10] SPEAKER_04: It is also hot as well.
[8:10] SPEAKER_07: It seems like you're going to Lollapalooza.
[8:12] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[8:13] SPEAKER_03: I still wear my backwards like this.
[8:15] SPEAKER_03: That's exactly how they dress.
[8:17] SPEAKER_03: And we both got that same farmer's tan.
[8:19] SPEAKER_04: But I gotta put on for my boy because he making he's making opportunities for us.
[8:24] SPEAKER_04: Okay, five million.
[8:26] SPEAKER_03: You said what?
[8:27] SPEAKER_03: Five million dollar.
[8:28] SPEAKER_03: It is.
[8:28] SPEAKER_04: Wait, I missed this.
[8:29] SPEAKER_04: What are you talking about?
[8:30] SPEAKER_04: He took a instead of 185 for his full contract, he took 180.
[8:34] SPEAKER_04: So he saved us$5 million.
[8:36] SPEAKER_04: But I don't even think that goes for this season.
[8:38] SPEAKER_04: He's a modern-day Jalen Brunson, huh?
[8:40] SPEAKER_04: That goes for our next season, which we might be able to make a move.
[8:43] SPEAKER_04: But you never know what happens.
[8:44] SPEAKER_04: It might it might only be$5 million, but maybe we trade someone here, trade someone that and it opens up and maybe$15 million.
[8:51] SPEAKER_04: It has to be something opens up.
[8:54] SPEAKER_04: But I just gotta respect him because he constantly keeps taking pay cuts for the Lakers.
[8:58] SPEAKER_04: And it's at some point I do want him to really just get his money.
[9:01] SPEAKER_07: Well, no, he did get paid.
[9:02] SPEAKER_07: That$180 is still.
[9:05] SPEAKER_04: But if I had to think about money he caught he could have made with the Lakers, we're probably missing out on a decent chunk.
[9:10] SPEAKER_00: Well, they gave him that contract at a beginning.
[9:12] SPEAKER_00: Like he, I mean, I don't think he was ever underpaid.
[9:14] SPEAKER_04: I mean, he just That 13 mil was underpaid.
[9:17] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[9:17] SPEAKER_00: I mean, he was just playing above that value.
[9:19] SPEAKER_00: But he was unfortunately, he just signed that contract when he was No, no, no, no.
[9:23] SPEAKER_04: That 13 mil was a pay cut for the Lakers.
[9:26] SPEAKER_04: He thought No, no, no.
[9:28] SPEAKER_07: And that shit was like four years long.
[9:29] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I remember the Spurs were interested.
[9:32] SPEAKER_07: Um, I don't know if they officially put an offer on the table, but the Spurs are interested when he hit that market and he was like, no, I want to stay in LA.
[9:37] SPEAKER_07: So he's been he's been doing this for quite some time.
[9:39] SPEAKER_07: And by the end of that contract, it was like, man, he is one of the best valued contracts in the league.
[9:44] SPEAKER_03: I agree.
[9:44] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[9:45] SPEAKER_07: I agree.
[9:45] SPEAKER_07: So what are y'all gonna do with that?
[9:47] SPEAKER_07: I mean, you got Zaire Williams yesterday.
[9:48] SPEAKER_07: I saw that.
[9:49] SPEAKER_03: Zaire and Brownie back together.
[9:51] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[9:52] SPEAKER_04: What are we gonna do?
[9:53] SPEAKER_04: That's for the future to do that.
[9:55] SPEAKER_07: He just feels like a random Laker.
[9:57] SPEAKER_03: For sure.
[9:57] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he does.
[9:58] SPEAKER_03: He's gonna have some games.
[9:59] SPEAKER_03: You're talking about Xaire Williams?
[10:00] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
[10:00] SPEAKER_03: I thought you're gonna have some games where he looks pretty damn good.
[10:03] SPEAKER_07: I hope so.
[10:04] SPEAKER_07: There were times last year when I watched him.
[10:05] SPEAKER_07: I think I even mentioned this on the show before we when I asked myself, what even does he do?
[10:09] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[10:10] SPEAKER_07: And then he'll have a next game be like, oh, he does a lot of different things.
[10:12] SPEAKER_03: So yeah, this is a dude that was like top of their class coming into uh.
[10:16] SPEAKER_04: He had a really good, I think, rookie year with Memphis when I want to say he was a starter and he got decent minutes.
[10:22] SPEAKER_04: Really good?
[10:23] SPEAKER_04: Not really good, but for some solid.
[10:26] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like good enough to be like, okay, I can see why he's in the starting lineup.
[10:30] SPEAKER_04: Sure.
[10:30] SPEAKER_04: He was a top 10 pick.
[10:31] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[10:32] SPEAKER_00: I remember having a conversation about trading him for someone.
[10:35] SPEAKER_00: And y'all was like, what the hell is your problem?
[10:37] SPEAKER_00: Like, why would you trade that?
[10:38] SPEAKER_00: I do remember that conversation.
[10:38] SPEAKER_04: Was it for like Chris Middleton or Jimmy Butler or something like that?
[10:42] SPEAKER_00: I don't remember, but uh, and y'all was like, no, he's he's untradeable.
[10:45] SPEAKER_00: No, that is never.
[10:47] SPEAKER_03: I don't remember ever saying that was untradeable.
[10:49] SPEAKER_03: You're gonna need somebody for for for me to do that.
[10:50] SPEAKER_07: I remember having a Zaire trade conversation.
[10:52] SPEAKER_07: I don't know if I remember untouchable being a word being used.
[10:55] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[10:55] SPEAKER_07: But maybe.
[10:56] SPEAKER_03: And off the top of my brain, I feel like you were trying to offer him for somebody really good.
[11:00] SPEAKER_03: And I was like, that ain't gonna be enough.
[11:03] SPEAKER_03: I don't ever remember feeling like Zaire Williams was untradable or untouchable.
[11:07] SPEAKER_03: I'm not I'm not gonna say I didn't say it.
[11:09] SPEAKER_03: Um I didn't say something along those lines of like, no, they can't trade him.
[11:14] SPEAKER_03: But untouchable, that's a damn lie.
[11:16] SPEAKER_03: That is that gotta be a damn lie.
[11:18] SPEAKER_03: Somebody gonna have to prove me wrong on that one because somebody found the clip.
[11:21] SPEAKER_07: We'll see exactly what the conversation was like.
[11:23] SPEAKER_07: Um you know who also took a little pay cut?
[11:25] SPEAKER_00: You said who did?
[11:26] SPEAKER_07: Victor Wami did.
[11:27] SPEAKER_07: He did.
[11:28] SPEAKER_07: Oh, yeah.
[11:28] SPEAKER_07: He signed nearly a Rookie Max extension, but saved them a little bit of money so they can have some greater flexibility down the road.
[11:34] SPEAKER_07: 50 million is a big yeah.
[11:37] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[11:37] SPEAKER_07: Um So I just think it, I think it's interesting.
[11:39] SPEAKER_07: Now we're seeing more players be thinking about the franchise a little bit.
[11:42] SPEAKER_03: You think the players gonna be mad?
[11:44] SPEAKER_07: Which players?
[11:45] SPEAKER_03: The NBA.
[11:46] SPEAKER_03: Because it sets a precedent, because it's like hypothetically speaking, if you're Jalen Dern and this happened, the pistons are like, bro, if Victor Wimbiyama can save$50 million, there's no way you think we got, you know what I mean?
[12:01] SPEAKER_03: Like if more and more players start to take less and less, that that becomes, you know, even standards.
[12:06] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because ages pull up other contracts when they could, you know, if Mike is making uh two million and Derek feel like he the same player as Mike, he's gonna say, how hell you gonna try to offer me 1.2?
[12:17] SPEAKER_04: I feel like you can get around that a little bit though, if you done office or whatever, you're talking about dude that took that$50 million pay cut, but he also like he finna get a lot of just endorsement.
[12:28] SPEAKER_04: He finna make that shit back easily.
[12:29] SPEAKER_04: No, no, no, for sure.
[12:30] SPEAKER_01: For sure.
[12:31] SPEAKER_07: I think it I think it might end up being a plus.
[12:33] SPEAKER_07: Like if my star player's taking slightly, and I'm talking like an agent, my star client takes a little pay cut, that means my second to third tier client might actually get some more money.
[12:42] SPEAKER_07: We always talk about how the second apron kind of killed the middle class of the NBA.
[12:46] SPEAKER_07: And now that money that Victor Wimbyama's not using, they can go to, I don't know, another different Tobias Harris type of signer.
[12:54] SPEAKER_07: But it also does showcase like a guy like Brunson or a guy like Reeves or a guy like Wimbyama can look at their current core and be like, ooh, we close enough.
[13:02] SPEAKER_07: Where like the Spurs are literally in the finals, and you know that that day is gonna come where Stefan Castle is gonna be worth the rookie max, Dylan Harp is gonna be working rookie max, and you could be like, oh shit, how can we keep this team together?
[13:13] SPEAKER_07: And maybe part of the way you keep the team together is that all of those guys take a little bit less in that rookie max extension.
[13:18] SPEAKER_07: So they just a little bit less.
[13:19] SPEAKER_07: Just a little bit less.
[13:20] SPEAKER_00: I mean, at the end of the day, they could still make it 50 million a year.
[13:24] SPEAKER_07: So, yeah, like you said, endorsement deals, all of that, he'll he'll be all right.
[13:27] SPEAKER_07: And uh, you just saw Jalen Bronson changed the world with that pay cut because he took the pay cut and now they literally won the championship.
[13:34] SPEAKER_07: So, like sometimes a player turns down the money, like you think about the Dennis Schroeder um example from all the years, and it don't work out, and you're like, man, that guy was crazy.
[13:42] SPEAKER_07: But when you turn down the money or take a pay cut and you get what you what you were looking for all along, then you'd be like, damn, yeah, that money would have been cool, but I'm forever etched in NBA history as a final.
[13:51] SPEAKER_03: Especially somewhere like New York, he's they call him a king of New York.
[13:54] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[13:55] SPEAKER_03: Greatest Knicks of all time, people are saying.
[13:57] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[13:58] SPEAKER_07: Can't be mad at them for saying it.
[13:59] SPEAKER_07: I agree.
[14:00] SPEAKER_07: J be mad.
[14:01] SPEAKER_00: I agree.
[14:01] SPEAKER_00: Big body Brunson.
[14:02] SPEAKER_00: And I feel like the Knicks are gonna do him right.
[14:04] SPEAKER_00: I feel like they're gonna pay him on the back end.
[14:06] SPEAKER_00: Got to.
[14:07] SPEAKER_00: They're gonna take care of him or under the table.
[14:09] SPEAKER_00: Got to.
[14:10] SPEAKER_07: Oh, we'll see what happens with Kawhi Leonard.
[14:12] SPEAKER_07: Because maybe that that penalty ain't too bad.
[14:14] SPEAKER_07: And now teams be like, actually, it's worth paying him a little bit under the table.
[14:17] SPEAKER_03: No, I feel like if they found anything.
[14:19] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[14:20] SPEAKER_03: Isn't it crazy?
[14:20] SPEAKER_03: Jalen Duran doesn't have a team.
[14:22] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[14:23] SPEAKER_03: I mean, even though it feels like it's a good thing.
[14:25] SPEAKER_07: Because I I feel the pistons.
[14:28] SPEAKER_07: You're a very good player, you're 22 years old, but at the same time, 40 million for your production will be tough.
[14:34] SPEAKER_07: Sometimes you see a player get a ton of money off the off a year where they were stellar, and then the year after that and the year after that, they're good, but maybe not that good.
[14:41] SPEAKER_03: So let's let's play the game.
[14:43] SPEAKER_03: Let me go then.
[14:44] SPEAKER_07: No, because we still want you.
[14:45] SPEAKER_07: We just don't want you at that evaluation.
[14:48] SPEAKER_03: Yes, you do.
[14:50] SPEAKER_03: You do want me at that evaluation.
[14:51] SPEAKER_03: Because you don't, if you didn't, just let me go.
[14:54] SPEAKER_07: Mm-mm.
[14:54] SPEAKER_07: That's not work.
[14:56] SPEAKER_07: Just prove to me that there's a market for you making 40 million.
[14:59] SPEAKER_07: I just did.
[15:00] SPEAKER_07: No, ain't no offer sheep and sound.
[15:01] SPEAKER_07: Well, that shit was by word.
[15:02] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, ain't no offer sheep been saying yet.
[15:04] SPEAKER_07: Ain't no offer actually been saying nobody offered them 40 million.
[15:06] SPEAKER_03: Oh, are you talking about from the other team?
[15:07] SPEAKER_03: Well, you can't do that now because nobody has money now.
[15:09] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[15:10] SPEAKER_07: So yeah, there's no reason to pay.
[15:12] SPEAKER_07: Hey, welcome back to the team.
[15:13] SPEAKER_07: At least paying the 40.
[15:15] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I mean, I think that they, I don't know what that number.
[15:17] SPEAKER_07: Maybe it has come out.
[15:17] SPEAKER_07: I'm saying 30 something is.
[15:19] SPEAKER_04: I think it was 30.
[15:19] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[15:20] SPEAKER_07: That feels very fair for Jalen Duran's.
[15:21] SPEAKER_04: But then he said he they want to give like around 30 and he wanted 35 plus, which they don't want to give to him.
[15:28] SPEAKER_07: Like, would y'all would y'all bet that Jalen Duran is all NBA player two more times in his career?
[15:34] SPEAKER_07: It's a toss.
[15:35] SPEAKER_04: But I would probably say it's gonna be.
[15:36] SPEAKER_04: I'll lean towards no.
[15:38] SPEAKER_03: I'll lean towards no.
[15:38] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'll go no just because of the the the uh the talent at the center position.
[15:43] SPEAKER_07: No, it's positionless too.
[15:44] SPEAKER_07: So you just have to be a top 15 player that yeah.
[15:46] SPEAKER_07: That makes it even tougher.
[15:47] SPEAKER_07: And he made it this year?
[15:48] SPEAKER_00: Yes, he did.
[15:49] SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was a lot of injuries.
[15:51] SPEAKER_00: And he also was really good.
[15:52] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he was good though.
[15:53] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[15:54] SPEAKER_07: But when you have two years worth of sample size of the playoffs being a drop, it's on that team, yeah.
[16:00] SPEAKER_03: On that team, he could make it twice.
[16:01] SPEAKER_03: Would I bet on it?
[16:02] SPEAKER_03: No.
[16:02] SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I could see the world where he where he could.
[16:05] SPEAKER_03: Um but like if yeah, if he had to get his money from Sack, I might I that chances probably go down a little bit.
[16:13] SPEAKER_03: Uh just being completely honest.
[16:14] SPEAKER_03: But he's 22.
[16:15] SPEAKER_03: He's 22?
[16:16] SPEAKER_03: He's 22.
[16:17] SPEAKER_03: So that is also the thing that's making me bet he probably could because he's 22 years old.
[16:21] SPEAKER_07: I agree.
[16:21] SPEAKER_07: I I think it's possible, but I I would also put my money on no as of today.
[16:25] SPEAKER_07: Uh because it's just hard to be a top 15 player.
[16:27] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[16:28] SPEAKER_07: Consistently, yeah.
[16:29] SPEAKER_03: I mean, you gotta be healthy, the team gotta consistently win, and the East is continuing to get better.
[16:33] SPEAKER_03: It's it's gonna be hard.
[16:34] SPEAKER_07: I think it's gonna resolve itself as him being a piston, and everything is gonna be okay.
[16:38] SPEAKER_00: Do you think it he signs the extension, or is it like he just takes the qualifying offer?
[16:42] SPEAKER_00: I think he signs the extension.
[16:44] SPEAKER_07: That qualifying offer is such a scary place to be.
[16:47] SPEAKER_07: I don't know what 2027 cap space looked like, or who has cap space.
[16:51] SPEAKER_07: I think we had this conversation before.
[16:52] SPEAKER_07: Would you rather make$30 million here in Detroit where you're where you know you're a one seed and played the best basketball of your career, or would you rather make$38 to$40 million on a in a city that you don't want to be in on a team that's ass?
[17:03] SPEAKER_04: Shit might not have you playing at the end of the season.
[17:05] SPEAKER_04: I'll take the$40 million.
[17:06] SPEAKER_04: For real?
[17:06] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[17:07] SPEAKER_07: I think I'd probably just stay with the pissers.
[17:08] SPEAKER_07: I would I would stay with the pissers.
[17:10] SPEAKER_03: I would have stayed with the pissers if we got this shit done, but if we got to drag it along like this, then I kind of don't really fuck with you.
[17:16] SPEAKER_07: These two teams, these two players are totally different as far as caliber players, but it is reminiscent of Josh Getty a couple years back.
[17:21] SPEAKER_03: Oh.
[17:22] SPEAKER_07: Where Josh Getty wanted a certain amount of money, then you look around and say, nobody got that money for you, buddy.
[17:26] SPEAKER_07: So here's$20 million a year.
[17:27] SPEAKER_07: Accept it or don't.
[17:28] SPEAKER_07: And then he ended up accepting it.
[17:29] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[17:30] SPEAKER_03: I I it is similar, but two different caliber because he wasn't coming off in all that.
[17:34] SPEAKER_03: No, yeah, no, no, no.
[17:34] SPEAKER_07: I'm just saying that, you know, go make go find the money and then we'll match it.
[17:37] SPEAKER_07: But if you can't find the money, take what we eat.
[17:39] SPEAKER_03: All NBA and we won 60 games.
[17:42] SPEAKER_03: So and y'all, y'all just readjusted the team where we lost Tobias, we lost beef, we lost Beef Stew, and we didn't really replace them.
[17:52] SPEAKER_03: So I think y'all need me a little bit more than y'all want wanna accept.
[17:57] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we we do need more.
[17:58] SPEAKER_04: How we gonna get more if you're taking up all that money?
[18:02] SPEAKER_03: Well, shit.
[18:02] SPEAKER_03: I ain't take the money yet, and y'all ain't did nothing.
[18:05] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, gay.
[18:06] SPEAKER_03: Isaiah.
[18:07] SPEAKER_04: Part of the reason we ain't did nothing is because that motherfucker wasn't barely having to double double in the playoffs.
[18:12] SPEAKER_04: When he was giving the ass all NBA play in the regular season, that shit did not carry over to the playoffs.
[18:17] SPEAKER_04: I was 22.
[18:19] SPEAKER_03: You're paying for me for when I'm 26.
[18:21] SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna be.
[18:21] SPEAKER_03: That's a big investment.
[18:23] SPEAKER_03: That's a big investment.
[18:24] SPEAKER_03: Right.
[18:25] SPEAKER_07: Uh, another piece of news that happened.
[18:26] SPEAKER_03: Katie had a 13-point game.
[18:28] SPEAKER_03: You gonna say anything about him?
[18:29] SPEAKER_07: He said Katie.
[18:30] SPEAKER_03: Ked.
[18:30] SPEAKER_03: He also said 45.
[18:32] SPEAKER_03: I know.
[18:34] SPEAKER_07: Another piece of news that made us say, whoa, Gary Trent signed a four-year$65 million deal with the Bucks.
[18:39] SPEAKER_00: Rich Paul knows how to get his meeting and pay.
[18:42] SPEAKER_07: People are calling for the league to investigate it, obviously, because they think it's some circum circumvention going on.
[18:47] SPEAKER_07: There was an under-the-table promise from last season after he took no money.
[18:50] SPEAKER_07: The next year we'll pay you because we'll have more money, which is illegal in the NBA, by the way.
[18:55] SPEAKER_07: So we'll see if the NBA decides to dive in or just let Gary Trent make that money.
[18:58] SPEAKER_00: I mean, if that shit was just said by mouth, ain't no evidence.
[19:01] SPEAKER_00: That's on paper trail.
[19:02] SPEAKER_07: So But when a guy averaged seven points in one rebound a game and gets$70 million.
[19:08] SPEAKER_04: I was thinking somebody, hey, somebody could pick this man up because he's not gonna be on no type of contract.
[19:13] SPEAKER_04: He might not be able to get the package.
[19:14] SPEAKER_03: I thought he would follow Giannis for like a minimum.
[19:16] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[19:16] SPEAKER_07: I thought he was gonna pick up his player option.
[19:18] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, eight points per game.
[19:20] SPEAKER_07: He shot 38% from the field.
[19:23] SPEAKER_07: What did he shoot from three?
[19:25] SPEAKER_07: 36%.
[19:27] SPEAKER_04: The only thing when I first seen this out there.
[19:29] SPEAKER_04: What is playoffs?
[19:29] SPEAKER_03: What is what do you do in the playoffs?
[19:33] SPEAKER_03: They didn't make the playoffs.
[19:34] SPEAKER_03: The year before the game.
[19:36] SPEAKER_03: Year before.
[19:37] SPEAKER_03: He averaged 19 points per game.
[19:38] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, stop playing when he got paid from two years ago.
[19:43] SPEAKER_04: Only shit that made sense is I was like, maybe they gotta they gotta do like, you know how you gotta spend a certain amount of money for your cap at least?
[19:50] SPEAKER_04: Salary floor, yeah.
[19:50] SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah.
[19:51] SPEAKER_04: But it's like I'd rather just get that money to somebody else than give that shit to Gary Trent Jr.
[19:56] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think.
[19:57] SPEAKER_04: I'm glad he did get his money though.
[19:58] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, shout out to him.
[19:59] SPEAKER_07: You know, we we're rooting for everybody to get paid.
[20:01] SPEAKER_07: Uh no, when you think about Tyler Harrell, 33 Miles Turner, 26.
[20:05] SPEAKER_07: They've all they've been over the floor.
[20:07] SPEAKER_03: So they just kind of just said We told you we had a promise and we're gonna keep it, damn it.
[20:11] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we keep our promises to our role players and not to our stars.
[20:15] SPEAKER_03: So, Giannis, watch out.
[20:17] SPEAKER_03: We gotta prioritize.
[20:18] SPEAKER_03: Well, we say, get paid, young brother.
[20:21] SPEAKER_03: Get paid.
[20:22] SPEAKER_03: I like the idea of Gary Trent too.
[20:24] SPEAKER_03: Like on He's only 27, he still got years to blossom.
[20:28] SPEAKER_03: Let me not say I like the idea.
[20:29] SPEAKER_03: I don't know what like, but I like Gary Trent.
[20:32] SPEAKER_03: I just wish he was on like a more competitive team.
[20:34] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he I mean on that bucks team, he didn't have no value, especially with Giannis gone.
[20:37] SPEAKER_00: Maybe playing with Tyler Hero now.
[20:40] SPEAKER_00: I mean, last year, I mean Giannis was kind of in and out of the lineup with injuries.
[20:44] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[20:44] SPEAKER_00: Maybe consistently having a point guard there that can actually get you open and who's their point guards?
[20:48] SPEAKER_00: Tyler Hero.
[20:49] SPEAKER_00: Oh shit.
[20:50] SPEAKER_00: Or Ryan Rollins.
[20:51] SPEAKER_00: Okay.
[20:52] SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah.
[20:54] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[20:54] SPEAKER_07: Um Summer League, guys.
[20:58] SPEAKER_07: All of our teams have put together some games.
[21:00] SPEAKER_07: Have y'all been seeing people on y'all team?
[21:01] SPEAKER_07: You're like, ooh, that guy might deserve a real roster spot.
[21:03] SPEAKER_07: Because the Knicks are in the in the Lakers are at least in different spots with their playoff teams slash championship teams.
[21:09] SPEAKER_07: And usually those teams don't bring in 12 guys you think are gonna make the roster.
[21:13] SPEAKER_07: Have y'all been seeing anything?
[21:14] SPEAKER_07: Have y'all first of all, I'm sorry, bigger question.
[21:16] SPEAKER_07: How much of Summer League have y'all been watching?
[21:18] SPEAKER_01: I guess it's a way bigger.
[21:19] SPEAKER_01: Little to nah.
[21:20] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not really any.
[21:21] SPEAKER_01: Little to nah.
[21:22] SPEAKER_04: We actually got uh we got an NBA playoff game today at nine.
[21:26] SPEAKER_04: I was actually mad because I looked at the schedule and I was like, my Lake was playing nine.
[21:30] SPEAKER_04: And this would have been the time I get to sit down on the couch to actually like watch, but I'm like, But then they're sitting Cam Carr and stuff now for the rest of it.
[21:36] SPEAKER_07: I don't even think a dude was playing anymore.
[21:38] SPEAKER_07: He's not uh maybe, maybe, but I don't think he is.
[21:41] SPEAKER_03: So the thing with uh Summer League and and watch him, um we got there what Wednesday, the day before it started.
[21:50] SPEAKER_03: Thursday, we had the Creator Cup.
[21:52] SPEAKER_07: But we did get to see AJ versus DP, at least most of it, and then we had to go to work.
[21:55] SPEAKER_03: We saw that, and then we had to do the creator cup, um, and then everything was.
[22:00] SPEAKER_03: Over by that time.
[22:01] SPEAKER_03: Then Friday.
[22:03] SPEAKER_03: We went to go see Bulls Grizzlies.
[22:04] SPEAKER_03: We saw Bulls Grizzlies.
[22:06] SPEAKER_03: But I got there earlier than y'all.
[22:07] SPEAKER_03: I had did, I think, two interviews.
[22:10] SPEAKER_03: Then we watched Bulls Grizzlies.
[22:12] SPEAKER_03: Then we had a team outing.
[22:14] SPEAKER_03: And then the following day, we had a live show.
[22:17] SPEAKER_03: So we was going like, oh, we're finna watch a ton of basketball, not realizing how much work was gonna get in between that.
[22:23] SPEAKER_03: And then Sunday was a travel day.
[22:25] SPEAKER_03: I got home, I was tired.
[22:26] SPEAKER_03: I tried to trying to recalibrate my body, spent some time with uh little penny pen.
[22:31] SPEAKER_03: And so yeah.
[22:32] SPEAKER_07: I've been watching more highlights than full games.
[22:34] SPEAKER_03: I can agree.
[22:34] SPEAKER_03: No, I can agree to that.
[22:35] SPEAKER_03: I saw um That Caleb Wilson dunk was nasty.
[22:38] SPEAKER_07: Oh, I watched that full game.
[22:39] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[22:39] SPEAKER_03: Because I'm a bullshit.
[22:40] SPEAKER_04: That shit was so nasty.
[22:41] SPEAKER_04: I had a show of Elena.
[22:42] SPEAKER_04: I'm like, this is who the Bulls just dragged on this Blake Griffin shirt.
[22:46] SPEAKER_00: Did you see Darren Peterson's reaction?
[22:48] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you sure did.
[22:49] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's true.
[22:50] SPEAKER_03: And then the Knicks are also like a highly competitive team.
[22:52] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, y'all got one guy that was super skiing off the yeah, yeah.
[22:54] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, from Vanderbilt.
[22:56] SPEAKER_03: Uh but other than that, it's like, nah, I have I haven't really been like following the Knicks Summer League.
[23:01] SPEAKER_03: And luckily for me, I haven't followed the Knicks Summer League in years.
[23:05] SPEAKER_03: I remember when it was the Knox.
[23:07] SPEAKER_03: I remember when it was a big deal for us.
[23:09] SPEAKER_03: But now it's just been like, hey, whatever.
[23:11] SPEAKER_07: Obviously, we were there for the Bulls first game, and then I watched the second game for the Bulls.
[23:15] SPEAKER_03: I also saw Cam Boozer.
[23:16] SPEAKER_03: Is it adjustment for the three-point line?
[23:17] unknown: No.
[23:18] SPEAKER_03: Y'all saw that?
[23:19] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[23:19] SPEAKER_00: He's really good.
[23:20] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they put up the graphic of him shooting one for six from three.
[23:22] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[23:24] SPEAKER_07: I think all four of the top four picks have shown so many good flashes.
[23:27] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, they have.
[23:28] SPEAKER_07: Um efficiency numbers may not be that for a couple of them.
[23:31] SPEAKER_07: Because those are, I mean, the the draft was the draft was gonna be a good one.
[23:36] SPEAKER_07: I don't see his game.
[23:37] SPEAKER_07: Um, but I've watched the other two.
[23:39] SPEAKER_07: Keaton wild.
[23:40] SPEAKER_07: You talking about Keaton?
[23:40] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, he had a really good game.
[23:41] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, he's the third quarter.
[23:43] SPEAKER_07: As far as what else?
[23:44] SPEAKER_07: I think I think he had 18 points in that third quarter.
[23:46] SPEAKER_07: Um, the only reason I mentioned 23.
[23:48] SPEAKER_07: I mentioned them because I mentioned them is because they were the consensus top four in whatever order.
[23:54] SPEAKER_03: He was in he was a part of the consensus at five.
[23:57] SPEAKER_07: They were the consensus top four.
[23:59] SPEAKER_07: Shout out to Keaton.
[24:00] SPEAKER_03: If you ask Keaton where he was going, he's gonna tell you the Clippers.
[24:02] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we knew that.
[24:03] SPEAKER_03: Right.
[24:04] SPEAKER_03: So that's a consensus, ain't it?
[24:05] SPEAKER_03: But I think there's a tier by the city.
[24:06] SPEAKER_03: Oh, you mean player by player?
[24:07] SPEAKER_03: My bad.
[24:07] SPEAKER_07: There's a tier below, and I think Keaton is probably a tier below those top four guys.
[24:10] SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
[24:11] SPEAKER_03: Um I thought you meant consensus draft order.
[24:13] SPEAKER_03: Oh, no, no, no.
[24:14] SPEAKER_03: I'll get what you mean.
[24:15] SPEAKER_07: Because then we can go to six, because I think we we knew six.
[24:17] SPEAKER_03: We knew that four was going top four from yeah, yeah, I agree with you.
[24:21] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
[24:22] SPEAKER_07: And they also flash his efficiency numbers.
[24:24] SPEAKER_03: What would be your favorite?
[24:25] SPEAKER_07: Uh Caleb Wilson would be my favorite.
[24:27] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[24:27] SPEAKER_07: Uh I think it was, first of all, the motherfucker ain't hit no free throw.
[24:32] SPEAKER_07: He, I think it hit the three.
[24:32] SPEAKER_07: Well, the whole team.
[24:33] SPEAKER_07: He had 18 points last night.
[24:34] SPEAKER_07: If he would have just hit his free throws, he would have had 28.
[24:37] SPEAKER_00: The whole team, that first game we went to, wasn't he?
[24:40] SPEAKER_00: And the whole the it got to a point that when we made one, the whole crowd cheered.
[24:44] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[24:44] SPEAKER_00: Like that shit was crazy.
[24:46] SPEAKER_03: Yo, you seen anybody on um on that team that you like, man, I wonder if he's gonna make the team outside of the two drafts.
[24:52] SPEAKER_07: I think um Donovan Atwell.
[24:54] SPEAKER_07: I think he's probably more of a two-way guy than like a four-roster spot guy.
[24:57] SPEAKER_07: But every time he touched the ball, he's looking to shoot that that ball, and it's going in more times than not.
[25:01] SPEAKER_07: I don't, I don't know if his size is gonna his defense is gonna allow him to be a real NBA player, but I think he's interesting.
[25:07] SPEAKER_07: I really was excited about Jalen Sellers, but through the two games, it's been more rocky than anything.
[25:11] SPEAKER_03: He looked, Jalen Sellers looked like an NBA player.
[25:13] SPEAKER_03: He does look like he's a good thing.
[25:14] SPEAKER_03: Shots not foxy, but like, yeah, like a unit.
[25:17] SPEAKER_07: But I'm just really excited about Caleb because he had the seven three-pointer game.
[25:20] SPEAKER_07: And then you wonder, like, okay, how much is it?
[25:22] SPEAKER_07: That's the guard, right?
[25:23] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[25:23] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[25:24] SPEAKER_07: He is like Yeah, no, he was like stocky as hell.
[25:26] SPEAKER_07: And he's lefty, and I'll fuck with all the lefties.
[25:28] SPEAKER_07: How tall y'all think he is?
[25:29] SPEAKER_07: Sellers?
[25:30] SPEAKER_07: 6'3 if we'll be safe.
[25:31] SPEAKER_07: He kind of moved like a Chicago dude.
[25:33] SPEAKER_03: But he does.
[25:33] SPEAKER_03: He does.
[25:34] SPEAKER_03: Does stockiness also make you look taller?
[25:36] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he looks like 6'5.
[25:36] SPEAKER_03: That's all I think.
[25:38] SPEAKER_07: Maybe I'm not.
[25:38] SPEAKER_07: Maybe I'm tripping.
[25:39] SPEAKER_07: I'm gonna have to look it up real quick.
[25:40] SPEAKER_07: I wouldn't be surprised he was 6'4.
[25:41] SPEAKER_07: He's 6'4.
[25:41] SPEAKER_07: 6'4, somewhere in the middle.
[25:43] SPEAKER_07: Um, but no, Caleb hit the 7'3 pointers.
[25:45] SPEAKER_07: And then the question, I talked to my dad, like, you think he's gonna shoot well game two?
[25:49] SPEAKER_07: I was like, probably not, you know.
[25:50] SPEAKER_07: He talked about putting all these shots up every single day, which is cool and all, but at the end of the day, the reps only can do so much.
[25:56] SPEAKER_07: And then in the last game, he shot three of eight from three, which was like still really good.
[25:59] SPEAKER_07: So I'm like, it's summer league, so you don't want to get too excited, but I'm wondering if that jump shot is way more developed than we initially thought as a guy that shot 22% from three in college.
[26:07] SPEAKER_04: I think it would definitely help if he started the season at least, if he was still a little bit hot from three.
[26:12] SPEAKER_04: I think it would challenge him a little bit if he came in and all of a sudden he was kind of shuggling, like maybe he's shooting 20% for the first few games and it might kind of hold him off.
[26:20] SPEAKER_04: But if he comes in hot, then I think he's gonna probably have the green light for just.
[26:24] SPEAKER_03: I think he'll have the green light regardless.
[26:25] SPEAKER_03: That's gonna be their main point of emphasis in his development.
[26:28] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[26:28] SPEAKER_03: Is shooting, actually shooting the basketball, getting comfortable.
[26:31] SPEAKER_07: And he's not gonna get guarded from three in the regular season as he is in Summerly.
[26:36] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[26:36] SPEAKER_07: They guard him like he's Michael Jordan in Summerly because he's the best player.
[26:39] SPEAKER_07: He's the best player on the court.
[26:41] SPEAKER_07: But once we get to the real season, when you got four other NBA players in your team and some of them can shoot, it's gonna be a little bit easier to get those open looks.
[26:48] SPEAKER_00: You know, Giddy's gonna push the tempo and find him.
[26:51] SPEAKER_00: He's gonna be able to get some more open looks just from playing with Josh Giddy.
[26:55] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I think you saw in the game two a lot of the things that he needs to work on because I all these guys are still developing not final products.
[27:01] SPEAKER_07: But um, he's still really thin, and when he tries to get to the basket, it's if he's seeing a body sometimes, they can knock him off his spot.
[27:07] SPEAKER_07: So a lot of the balance stuff, but things that we knew he just needs to work on.
[27:10] SPEAKER_04: But I do like the way he does aggressively get to the rim.
[27:14] SPEAKER_04: Like you see, a lot of guys, they don't kind of like force the issue.
[27:18] SPEAKER_04: I felt like he did a good job of being able to kind of squeeze past his man sometimes and look at the second defender and like make a strong move or a smart move.
[27:25] SPEAKER_03: Handel was a lot better than I was giving him too.
[27:28] SPEAKER_03: I mean, he had a really good handle at UNC, but he was just trying to bringing a ball up from the back passes to nobody.
[27:34] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the behind the backpack.
[27:35] SPEAKER_04: Sometimes the guards was kind of struggling with some of the defense, and it was like they found Caleb and he'll make something happen.
[27:40] SPEAKER_07: I think Cam ripped him up once in that first game, like straight up.
[27:43] SPEAKER_07: But other than that, it was it was solid.
[27:44] SPEAKER_07: Uh, really been excited also for like some of the year two guys, like now you watch as the thing.
[27:50] SPEAKER_07: Will Riley Will Riley is another one.
[27:52] SPEAKER_07: Um, Trey Johnson was in the Trey Johnson was a good one.
[27:57] SPEAKER_03: Steven Coward looked like he was in his seventh year.
[28:00] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[28:00] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[28:00] SPEAKER_07: He that's got to be such a good feeling as a fan of these guys to go into the year two in the summer league, they look like the best.
[28:06] SPEAKER_03: He knocked down jump shots, offensive rebounds.
[28:08] SPEAKER_03: You couldn't, he was everywhere.
[28:09] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[28:10] SPEAKER_03: He had a really good game.
[28:11] SPEAKER_03: Do Mount picking up full court, Javon Small out there.
[28:15] SPEAKER_03: Like the Grizzlies, the Grizzlies had a lot of.
[28:17] SPEAKER_03: They had a full roster.
[28:19] SPEAKER_04: I ain't gonna lie.
[28:19] SPEAKER_04: Javon Small is probably one of my favorite players, too.
[28:21] SPEAKER_04: Not just in that game, but watching him last season and because the Grizzlies just didn't make as much noise.
[28:27] SPEAKER_04: He just got out of so I got to watch him up close in person.
[28:30] SPEAKER_04: It was kind of cool to see.
[28:31] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's why I was so crazy when I see Queen and Fierce playing.
[28:34] SPEAKER_04: Not playing.
[28:34] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, not yeah, not playing.
[28:36] SPEAKER_00: Like it was kind of mind-blowing to see him sitting on a sideline.
[28:39] SPEAKER_00: Right?
[28:39] SPEAKER_00: At least one game.
[28:40] SPEAKER_00: I don't feel like they were that good their rookie season to where they are like good from Summer League.
[28:46] SPEAKER_03: I feel like that shit is like uh if a guy like Cedric Coward plays, he he he kind of makes it to where everybody should be playing.
[28:54] SPEAKER_03: If your name ain't Cooper Flag, Harper, or as Con Kipple or Con Knipple.
[28:58] SPEAKER_04: I say at least even the one game, bro.
[29:00] SPEAKER_04: At least get a game, you get 30 shots in a scene.
[29:02] SPEAKER_03: The reason I like the one game is because like you dominate it and it's gonna feel good.
[29:06] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[29:06] SPEAKER_03: You know it's like, man, it's shit beneath me.
[29:08] SPEAKER_04: I'm better than I don't even know if Trey Johnson kept playing, but the Trey Johnson thing was perfect.
[29:12] SPEAKER_04: It's like, let me get my game in, show that I can just do this shit, and then after that, I'm good.
[29:16] SPEAKER_03: But do the Pelicans?
[29:17] SPEAKER_03: Oh no, they didn't even have a draft pick, did they?
[29:19] SPEAKER_03: They did not have a draft pick.
[29:21] SPEAKER_03: Because some of those teams be so loaded where it's like, yeah, don't even play.
[29:24] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[29:24] SPEAKER_03: Don't even play.
[29:25] SPEAKER_07: I want to just quickly talk about Maui Watch.
[29:28] SPEAKER_07: Because it is just summer league.
[29:30] SPEAKER_07: Ko-A P too.
[29:31] SPEAKER_07: Ko-a P look great too.
[29:32] SPEAKER_07: Good call, good call.
[29:33] SPEAKER_07: Um, but he looks like he can be a starter sooner rather than later.
[29:36] SPEAKER_07: It is just summer league.
[29:37] SPEAKER_07: But a uh 19-11 and two, 15-15-2, 21-10-4.
[29:43] SPEAKER_07: And I think the mo the best part about it is that he's he's not he's confidently taking three-pointers and they're going in.
[29:48] SPEAKER_07: Three of nine from three, two of four from three.
[29:50] SPEAKER_07: And I think last game he was only one four.
[29:52] SPEAKER_07: But like, like project like we talk about projecting to be a good shooter, he's doing it already in year two.
[29:57] SPEAKER_07: And it feels like he didn't play much at all his rookie season.
[30:00] SPEAKER_07: And they gave Mark Williams that money, which he he deserves, but it's like, man, we got this fellow who we drafted top 10 last year.
[30:06] SPEAKER_07: He's gonna be ready for the moment sooner rather than later, and that's huge.
[30:08] SPEAKER_03: I was selling it to one of the Sons fans at the live show where they was kind of like, you know, we ain't have too many picks, and it was a lower pick, and you know, we don't know how to feel about Core Pete or whatever.
[30:17] SPEAKER_03: But I'm like, man, like y'all got to me some guys that are gonna feel like some draft picks.
[30:23] SPEAKER_03: MaliaWatch is gonna, you know, get way more reps and should be way more of an NBA player uh this year.
[30:29] SPEAKER_03: And I think the same thing with Rashir Fleming.
[30:32] SPEAKER_03: Like, I think y'all got they got two guys that should take some tremendous steps this season and will feel like some rookie additions.
[30:38] SPEAKER_03: And then if Koa P is doing anything that he could translate into the NBA world, then yeah, y'all really rocking and rolling.
[30:45] SPEAKER_03: So Sun's gonna be interesting again, man.
[30:47] SPEAKER_07: I got some more names though.
[30:49] SPEAKER_07: Malik Thomas.
[30:51] SPEAKER_07: 25 and 3, 37-4, 35-3-3, second round pick, Cleveland Cavaliers.
[30:57] SPEAKER_07: Absolutely nuts.
[30:58] SPEAKER_07: I don't know if y'all remember before the draft, I was telling y'all that Mark Stein had his reports that the Bulls were interested in him at 15 for a little bit.
[31:05] SPEAKER_07: And he fell all the way to the second round, and through the first three games of summer league, he looks like a like a true, true NBA player.
[31:11] SPEAKER_03: I'm so happy for him because there's no way, and we said we were saying, me and Christian was talking about this at the draft, there was no way or no avenue where we thought he would be a day two pick.
[31:21] SPEAKER_03: That was kind of ludicrous to me that uh the kid fell that far, and it didn't make any sense.
[31:27] SPEAKER_03: And I'm so I'm glad he's he's punching people um in the mouth immediately.
[31:32] SPEAKER_03: And again, it's just summer league.
[31:34] SPEAKER_03: But yeah, it makes no sense at all that he wasn't a day one pick.
[31:38] SPEAKER_03: And I'm not just saying that now because he's killing him.
[31:40] SPEAKER_03: That was actual reaction at the draft.
[31:42] SPEAKER_03: Like, what how is Malik Thomas not picked?
[31:44] SPEAKER_03: What are we talking about?
[31:45] SPEAKER_07: Couple names, uh more names.
[31:47] SPEAKER_07: Braden Burries.
[31:48] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[31:49] SPEAKER_07: 18 3-3, 26-3-3, 23-8-6.
[31:53] SPEAKER_07: Easy.
[31:53] SPEAKER_07: And he does not, he doesn't, he's shooting 50% above the field.
[31:56] SPEAKER_07: Easy.
[31:57] SPEAKER_07: No turnovers at all as a guard.
[31:59] SPEAKER_07: Easy.
[31:59] SPEAKER_07: Some the bad work is way better than I thought it was gonna be.
[32:03] SPEAKER_07: Like he's actually getting to the rim and finishing through con like it's it's been crazy.
[32:07] SPEAKER_03: I gave the bucks like an A-minus if people thought I was crazy.
[32:09] SPEAKER_03: No, Braden Berry's is the is the real deal.
[32:11] SPEAKER_03: He's the real deal.
[32:13] SPEAKER_03: And if Dusty May didn't take Morez Johnson as his former player, I had Braden Berry's uh going ninth to the Dallas Mavericks and them being a huge winner.
[32:23] SPEAKER_03: You put that kid with Cooper Flag and Derek Lively, but Dusty May with Morez Johnson, I think makes a lot of sense.
[32:31] SPEAKER_03: This is before that was my idea for the Mavericks before they had Dusty May.
[32:34] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[32:35] SPEAKER_07: I'm trying to figure out if there's any more people here.
[32:38] SPEAKER_07: I mean, a lot of people are having good games.
[32:40] SPEAKER_07: Don't get it.
[32:40] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean the Bucks.
[32:43] SPEAKER_03: Listen, losing Giannis sucks, but I mean Ryan Rollins, Braden Berry's, Tyler Hero, uh Khalil Ware, Hami Hawkes, uh, they got uh Kasparis, they like a nice little guy.
[32:58] SPEAKER_03: Who is Manjien?
[32:59] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they got a nice little young man.
[33:00] SPEAKER_03: Who was who I seen in the casino, taller than a motherfucker, tall as hell.
[33:03] SPEAKER_03: And he just got his extension.
[33:04] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, got us his extension.
[33:06] SPEAKER_07: Another name, Bruce Dorton.
[33:07] SPEAKER_07: Two games in.
[33:08] SPEAKER_07: 27, 3-3, 17-6-6.
[33:11] SPEAKER_03: We saw Bruce Dorton.
[33:12] SPEAKER_03: I ain't he looked locked in.
[33:13] SPEAKER_03: I ain't wanna say nothing to him.
[33:15] SPEAKER_03: We seen him when uh when Trisha Newton came up, they don't they on the same team at the airport.
[33:21] SPEAKER_03: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
[33:22] SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, I ain't gonna bother Bruce.
[33:24] SPEAKER_03: Bruce looked locked in.
[33:25] SPEAKER_07: Last one.
[33:26] SPEAKER_07: He got a point to prove.
[33:27] SPEAKER_07: Alan Graves has had a couple really good games too.
[33:28] SPEAKER_07: For the Raptors.
[33:29] SPEAKER_03: Raptors got him one.
[33:30] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[33:31] SPEAKER_03: Kawhi popped up and showed some love.
[33:34] SPEAKER_07: That's so cool.
[33:34] SPEAKER_07: He's not on the team, but I understand.
[33:36] SPEAKER_03: He will be.
[33:37] SPEAKER_03: Hopefully.
[33:37] SPEAKER_07: Right.
[33:38] SPEAKER_04: He just gotta wait for them cases to clear up.
[33:42] SPEAKER_07: What do you think is taking him so long?
[33:43] SPEAKER_07: Because we knew we've known Pablo Torrey broke this like the beginning of last season, and they've been just sitting on hands.
[33:50] SPEAKER_03: Somebody came in my chat telling me, you saw Drake got people outside of Pablo Torrey crib?
[33:55] SPEAKER_03: And I was like, and my dumb ass is like, for real?
[33:57] SPEAKER_03: What'd he do?
[33:59] SPEAKER_03: I was so locked in on what I was doing.
[34:00] SPEAKER_03: I'm like, what um caw did we think he could beat that case?
[34:07] SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's probably just I don't know, maybe they're trying to find I don't know what they're trying to find, honestly.
[34:14] SPEAKER_07: They said that they can't, they have not been able to find a smoking gun yet.
[34:17] SPEAKER_04: That wouldn't have to be it.
[34:18] SPEAKER_04: It's like lack of evidence to actually convict him, but it's too big of a I feel like it's too big of a thing for them just to kind of disregard and without an absolute answer, they're probably just not gonna say nothing.
[34:30] SPEAKER_04: They don't want to say like we didn't find nothing, all of a sudden somebody pulls up some information like how y'all miss this, and all of a sudden it's backlash on them.
[34:38] SPEAKER_04: So it's probably they need to be set in stone what it is before they kind of come out with it.
[34:44] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[34:44] SPEAKER_07: And I just how long?
[34:46] SPEAKER_07: Because it's now it's everything is in limbo.
[34:48] SPEAKER_07: They did say they do believe that the trade will go through.
[34:50] SPEAKER_07: So it's not, they're not, they don't think it's completely at jeopardy in jeopardy right now.
[34:54] SPEAKER_07: But like, if you Grady Dick, you like, damn, what am I?
[34:57] SPEAKER_07: You know, what to do my own?
[34:58] SPEAKER_07: Should I be looking for apartments in in LA or should I not?
[35:02] SPEAKER_07: Um Brandon Ingram, too.
[35:03] SPEAKER_07: Brandon Ingram, like, what the hell?
[35:05] SPEAKER_04: Well, Brandon Ingram been in trade rumors before.
[35:07] SPEAKER_00: You know, Glow probably been wanting to get out of Toronto.
[35:10] SPEAKER_00: She's talking about how cold it was.
[35:11] SPEAKER_07: Oh, yeah?
[35:12] SPEAKER_00: So she was right happy as hell he got traded to LA.
[35:15] SPEAKER_07: LA, man.
[35:15] SPEAKER_07: LA's a beautiful place.
[35:16] SPEAKER_07: I fucking love LA.
[35:17] SPEAKER_03: So I got a report from Ramona Shelburne.
[35:20] SPEAKER_03: Sources with knowledge of the encounter told ESPN that Atabio struck Heroes near his chin.
[35:26] SPEAKER_03: Although descriptions of the nature of the physical contact is in some dispute, Hero did not, did not get knocked to the ground, according to sources with knowledge of the interaction, who added that he was restrained by others in the gym from responding physically.
[35:39] SPEAKER_07: Oh, okay.
[35:40] SPEAKER_07: So you said Tyler Hero got a got a metal chin.
[35:43] SPEAKER_07: He took one.
[35:43] SPEAKER_07: Oh, definitely.
[35:46] SPEAKER_07: Took one from Bam.
[35:46] SPEAKER_07: That's a Crimson chin.
[35:49] SPEAKER_07: Is that they was it the same as when Amin Thompson slammed him and he got fake mad and when people started to pull him back?
[35:55] SPEAKER_03: Now, what if Tyler Hero get on your ass like a diaper?
[35:57] SPEAKER_07: He could.
[35:58] SPEAKER_07: Tyler Hero probably beat my ass.
[35:59] SPEAKER_07: He's 6'5.
[36:00] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
[36:01] SPEAKER_07: He got the advantage right there.
[36:04] SPEAKER_07: I'm his elder.
[36:04] SPEAKER_07: He better respect me.
[36:05] SPEAKER_07: You think he works out more than you?
[36:06] SPEAKER_07: Does he work?
[36:07] SPEAKER_07: He's no.
[36:08] SPEAKER_07: I said, do you think though?
[36:10] SPEAKER_07: No, no, I've worked out way more than Tyler Hero.
[36:13] SPEAKER_07: Oh, okay.
[36:13] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[36:15] SPEAKER_07: The literal NBA player whose job is working out.
[36:17] SPEAKER_07: His body is simple.
[36:19] SPEAKER_04: You don't have to work out to get your ass whooped.
[36:21] SPEAKER_07: That's a fact.
[36:23] SPEAKER_07: That's a fact.
[36:24] SPEAKER_03: What do y'all what what were y'all reaction?
[36:27] SPEAKER_03: Have y'all been seeing some tensions bubbling up off of this?
[36:30] SPEAKER_07: The Haslam versus Draymond Green thing.
[36:34] SPEAKER_07: I did um Hasm's response was about 1,300 characters.
[36:38] SPEAKER_03: I read it all.
[36:39] SPEAKER_07: I didn't read it all.
[36:40] SPEAKER_03: I can read it all for you right now.
[36:42] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[36:44] SPEAKER_07: Everybody get your phone now.
[36:44] SPEAKER_07: It's popcorn reading time.
[36:47] SPEAKER_07: Y'all scared of popcorn reading?
[36:49] SPEAKER_00: Wait, no, what are you talking about?
[36:50] SPEAKER_00: You know popcorn readings?
[36:51] SPEAKER_00: Oh, when he passes.
[36:52] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, you gotta pick up what he left off.
[36:55] SPEAKER_03: Let's break everything down.
[36:57] SPEAKER_03: Draymond Green wants to know if Eudonis Haslam will keep the same energy for Bam punching to other hero that he did when Draymond punched Jordan Poole.
[37:05] SPEAKER_03: This is from Draymond Green in his podcast.
[37:08] SPEAKER_03: I remember when I got into a pool.
[37:10] SPEAKER_03: I remember one person when a Jordan Poole incident happened with me who was really, really outspoken about it and really bothered me.
[37:17] SPEAKER_03: And it really bothered me, was Eudonis Haslam.
[37:19] SPEAKER_03: I saw UD get into guys on teams that was younger than him before, a la Jimmy Butler.
[37:24] SPEAKER_03: Then he came out like, that's ridiculous.
[37:26] SPEAKER_03: You get into it with your young guy, I would never.
[37:29] SPEAKER_03: I can't believe you did that.
[37:30] SPEAKER_03: What is it, heat culture or heat wave?
[37:32] SPEAKER_03: Maybe they don't have fights.
[37:34] SPEAKER_03: So when I first saw this, I was like, damn, this is two guys your Donnis Haslam raised.
[37:38] SPEAKER_03: If you raise this young guy in the light of what you were saying about me, and now he punches this other young guy that y'all kind of co-raised, are you gonna have that same energy?
[37:47] SPEAKER_03: Really is.
[37:47] SPEAKER_03: I don't want him to have the same energy because I love Bam.
[37:50] SPEAKER_03: That's my brother, my dog, Tyler Hero, who's from Milwaukee, like Jordan Poole, has a lot of bravado as a young guy, probably says some very disrespectful things like Jordan Poole.
[37:58] SPEAKER_03: Alright, so then Yadonis Asm goes on Twitter.
[38:02] SPEAKER_03: The first thing he does, at money23gree.
[38:07] SPEAKER_03: I see some things just don't change.
[38:10] SPEAKER_03: LOL.
[38:11] SPEAKER_03: You was on sucker shit four years ago when you swung on Jordan Poole and you on sucker shit now.
[38:17] SPEAKER_03: I usually don't engage, but since you went so far left to get my attention, here it is.
[38:23] SPEAKER_03: If you think your big 32-year-old, three or four rings at the time, having ass, swinging on a 23-year-old Jordan Poole at the time is the same, then you're even more delusional than I thought.
[38:33] SPEAKER_03: First of all, Bam is 28.
[38:35] SPEAKER_03: Tyler is 26.
[38:37] SPEAKER_03: Neither one of them got it all figured out yet.
[38:40] SPEAKER_03: Maybe I was giving you too much credit at the time because I thought you did.
[38:43] SPEAKER_03: So that's why I commented.
[38:45] SPEAKER_03: Second, anyone who knows Bam knows he's strong as a baby bear.
[38:49] SPEAKER_03: If he would have unloaded on Tyler 100%, it's over.
[38:52] SPEAKER_03: You fired off on that young boy like it was a club punch and you never met him before in your life.
[38:58] SPEAKER_03: Third year.
[38:59] SPEAKER_03: I did go at Jimmy.
[39:00] SPEAKER_03: You damn right.
[39:01] SPEAKER_03: The shit you pulled in Golden State and that shit he pulled in Chicago talking crazy to Hoyberg and disrespecting teammates in practice in Minnesota ain't gonna fly in a 305.
[39:09] SPEAKER_03: So yeah, I checked his ass.
[39:11] SPEAKER_03: Call it he culture or whatever you want.
[39:13] SPEAKER_03: But before I let one player disrespect Spo in front of the squad, cut his legs out and disrupt what 15 other guys trying to accomplish, I'll kick his ass.
[39:21] SPEAKER_03: I owe that to Zoe and Tim and Glenn and the rest of my OGs.
[39:24] SPEAKER_03: I don't really vibe with you.
[39:26] SPEAKER_03: And I think you know that.
[39:27] SPEAKER_03: So unless it's me on prime time, uh me on prime talking hoops, I won't mention you at all.
[39:33] SPEAKER_03: You brought me into this and I'm retired and out the way.
[39:36] SPEAKER_03: I suggest you keep it pushing because I ain't giving out no more hall passes, bruh.
[39:40] SPEAKER_07: Set it up.
[39:41] SPEAKER_00: Celebrity.
[39:42] SPEAKER_00: Celebrity match.
[39:45] SPEAKER_00: I like you do I like you D's response.
[39:47] SPEAKER_00: I don't think they similar, I don't think they're similar situations at all.
[39:50] SPEAKER_00: Oh, can we get a round of applause for Piers Ruby, by the way?
[39:52] SPEAKER_04: That was amazing, Peter.
[39:53] SPEAKER_00: That was really good.
[39:54] SPEAKER_04: That was amazing because you had a little bit of an accent in there too.
[39:57] SPEAKER_04: Is that I ain't giving out no more hall passes, bro.
[40:02] SPEAKER_04: I no, I agree with you, D.
[40:04] SPEAKER_04: I I just think that I'm well spoken.
[40:06] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[40:08] SPEAKER_04: As much as it is an altercation, I don't look at those same.
[40:12] SPEAKER_04: I don't look at those in the same light.
[40:14] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, those two are like, they're on the same, they're like peers, whereas like Draymond was his vet and Poole was his like.
[40:22] SPEAKER_07: And also from the video, it looked like Draymond.
[40:25] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, he was not ready to get hit in the face.
[40:27] SPEAKER_04: When I think you had started reading it, and I had quickly like turned my head because Draymond was like when I was getting into it with Poole.
[40:35] SPEAKER_04: Was that really getting into it?
[40:37] SPEAKER_05: But you came up and that was one side of his head.
[40:39] SPEAKER_00: I don't even think Jordan Poole expected you to Jordan Poole had no idea that you were you were about to do that.
[40:44] SPEAKER_07: You know what it reminds me of?
[40:45] SPEAKER_07: You know those videos where people like flinch at their dog to prove that they never thought about hitting their dog?
[40:50] SPEAKER_07: That's sort of like Jordan Poole's just sitting there, like, oh, he's not finna do nothing.
[40:53] SPEAKER_07: He was the little dog in this instance, but the owner actually put his hands on him.
[40:57] SPEAKER_03: But yeah, it's my OG, that's my vet.
[41:00] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, we talk trash all the time.
[41:01] SPEAKER_07: He ain't finna do nothing.
[41:02] SPEAKER_07: Bing.
[41:03] SPEAKER_07: And now I'm getting straight to fucking wash it.
[41:07] SPEAKER_06: In front of the world.
[41:07] SPEAKER_06: That video came out fast as hell.
[41:10] SPEAKER_04: So you got the look he is asking him, how'd you feel when J-Mon punched you?
[41:14] SPEAKER_03: That shit was crazy, bro.
[41:16] SPEAKER_03: That shit was crazy.
[41:17] SPEAKER_07: We we fakely Jordan Poole to be like really good, like one more time.
[41:20] SPEAKER_03: That little boy, I know that little boy got in trouble.
[41:22] SPEAKER_03: His mama was like, Why would you why would you do that?
[41:25] SPEAKER_03: Why would you ask him that?
[41:27] SPEAKER_03: Kids are so innocent, they don't care.
[41:29] SPEAKER_03: Kids are so innocent.
[41:31] SPEAKER_04: Jordan Poole has been heavily ridiculed, I feel like, these last few seasons, but he still got one of my favorite handles in the league, though.
[41:36] SPEAKER_04: I can see that.
[41:38] SPEAKER_03: I remember my little sister and my little cousin went up to my uncle, and at the time, he got his teeth he got his teeth fixed, so his teeth is crazy now.
[41:45] SPEAKER_03: But before, um, he had got like shot in the mouth, and he used to smoke cigarettes and stuff back in the day.
[41:52] SPEAKER_03: So his teeth was messed up.
[41:54] SPEAKER_03: And I remember my little sister and my little cousin went up to him, they was like five or six.
[41:57] SPEAKER_03: Like, why your teeth yellow?
[41:59] SPEAKER_03: Like at Thanksgiving.
[42:00] SPEAKER_03: They just straight up asked him that.
[42:01] SPEAKER_03: And he was like, Yeah, that's why y'all don't smoke and everything.
[42:03] SPEAKER_03: But my mom was like, Why, why, what the what the what are y'all doing, bro?
[42:07] SPEAKER_03: Kids do, man.
[42:08] SPEAKER_03: But kids don't care.
[42:09] SPEAKER_03: No, they don't.
[42:10] SPEAKER_03: And I just watched a skit where it was like little kids be snitching like this.
[42:13] SPEAKER_03: And it's the dude uh Poe from Chicago, the little short dude.
[42:17] SPEAKER_02: And he was like, Yeah, TT, I want a car.
[42:22] SPEAKER_02: And she like, what you mean?
[42:23] SPEAKER_02: Like, your son got a car.
[42:25] SPEAKER_02: And she like, what you talking about?
[42:27] SPEAKER_02: He said, Yeah, my mama said your son got sugar in his tank.
[42:30] SPEAKER_02: So he I thought he had a car.
[42:34] SPEAKER_02: And my mama, my mama got that, my mama said, my mama got a bag, that garbage bag full of my old clothes, because he said your kids ain't got shit.
[42:43] SPEAKER_03: I'm like your own kids.
[42:45] SPEAKER_04: Well, my sister's favorite thing to do right now is to say, like, but you could do something though.
[42:50] SPEAKER_04: What you mean?
[42:51] SPEAKER_04: So like my dad or something, my mama telling her to go to bed, she be like, but you stand up.
[42:57] SPEAKER_04: So she always try to put herself in like a grown-up shoe.
[43:00] SPEAKER_07: And the response is always, I'm grown.
[43:02] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[43:03] SPEAKER_04: She don't be understanding this though.
[43:05] SPEAKER_07: Uh one thing with our kids now, or at least with Avery, because she's almost five, is that when you're talking through stuff, we don't we don't say names.
[43:12] SPEAKER_07: Right.
[43:12] SPEAKER_07: So, like, if I'm telling a story about something my grandma did, we won't say granny.
[43:19] SPEAKER_07: You know, we would just we won't say the name at all because we don't want her to go to the family function.
[43:22] SPEAKER_07: Like, Granny, I heard you, you know.
[43:24] SPEAKER_07: So you just don't say names at all.
[43:25] SPEAKER_07: And you kind of save yourself that way.
[43:27] SPEAKER_03: Oh, until she go there and repeat it without the name.
[43:31] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, person A had did this.
[43:33] SPEAKER_03: And person A, like, wait, what?
[43:35] SPEAKER_07: Y'all talking about me.
[43:37] SPEAKER_07: Uh we did want to spend a lot of this episode answering your questions.
[43:40] SPEAKER_07: Um, it is the offseason, not a lot going on outside of Summer League.
[43:43] SPEAKER_07: We're still waiting on Braun to make his decision.
[43:45] SPEAKER_07: We don't know what that's gonna be.
[43:46] SPEAKER_07: So we did ask y'all on Twitter to send us questions.
[43:48] SPEAKER_07: I think both Mike and Derek, y'all both looked at him a little bit.
[43:51] SPEAKER_07: I have no idea what to expect.
[43:53] SPEAKER_07: What we get, what we got?
[43:54] SPEAKER_07: What we got?
[43:55] SPEAKER_04: Uh yeah.
[43:56] SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna say I apologize first.
[43:58] SPEAKER_04: Not all the questions are.
[44:00] SPEAKER_04: Verbatim sometimes they look funky, so I kind of reordered them.
[44:03] SPEAKER_04: I try to stick to the topic as much as I can, but I got your name, so you should know if if it's your question.
[44:08] SPEAKER_04: Um, first one is actually from a mile a while ago.
[44:11] SPEAKER_04: It is the drop the mic that we supposed to do like three episodes ago.
[44:14] SPEAKER_04: I really did like this question, and uh I just want to give some love.
[44:18] SPEAKER_04: His name is the Stoic Griffin.
[44:20] SPEAKER_04: He said, What players in recent history were drafted to the wrong team?
[44:24] SPEAKER_04: P I think always gives the example of a player kind of like Michael Beasley, where it could have maybe went a little bit different.
[44:30] SPEAKER_04: Uh, another name that came to mind was maybe Boogie.
[44:33] SPEAKER_04: But Boogie, when I thought about Boogie, I mean Boogie was still good as hell.
[44:38] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it didn't really matter what team he went to.
[44:41] SPEAKER_04: Maybe the light around him could have been different.
[44:44] SPEAKER_04: But I feel like if you're still at that high level of a player, this shit really don't matter where you get drafted.
[44:49] SPEAKER_07: First thing that came to mind was James Wiseman.
[44:51] SPEAKER_07: Now I'm not saying that James Wiseman was gonna be an all-time great or an all-star or anything.
[44:55] SPEAKER_07: I think his talent level probably just didn't translate amazingly.
[44:58] SPEAKER_07: But I do think that he ended up getting drafted to maybe the worst possible team he could have got drafted to.
[45:03] SPEAKER_07: And in real time, it did feel kind of interesting because ooh, they never really had a big that can catch lobs and run to roll to the basket.
[45:09] SPEAKER_07: But they just that's just not their brand of basketball.
[45:11] SPEAKER_07: They weren't just gonna run straight up pick and roll with uh Wiseman and Steph Curry.
[45:16] SPEAKER_07: And maybe if he's drafted a little bit later, he might actively have a true, true NBA career outside of like making music and shit.
[45:24] SPEAKER_03: I kind of feel like that with a bunch of players because it's like there's also no guarantee that they was gonna necessarily be stars.
[45:32] SPEAKER_03: But like I do wonder players who go to teams who have historically not been able to really develop guys, one of the first names I think about is like a Tyreek Evans, because Sacramento moved him around so much after such an incredible rookie season as far as like position, that I wonder most stable organizations, if you like played as good as he did his rookie year and won rookie of the year the way he won it, they're probably letting you just do what you do.
[46:01] SPEAKER_03: You're probably not moving to shooting guard and small forward.
[46:04] SPEAKER_03: Like, you know, so I wonder that.
[46:06] SPEAKER_03: I wonder about a guy like Marvin Bagley.
[46:08] SPEAKER_07: Again, just because Sacramento didn't have such so I wonder if it's Sacramento does a very poor job of scouting and drafting, or is this situation like, yeah, the situation is.
[46:18] SPEAKER_07: I think it's a little bit of both.
[46:19] SPEAKER_07: You think so?
[46:20] SPEAKER_07: I think that's gonna be a little bit of both.
[46:21] SPEAKER_04: Both goes hand in hand with that.
[46:23] SPEAKER_04: Um, I also another name that I kind of thought about was maybe Killian Hayes.
[46:28] SPEAKER_04: I know, like, I'm not saying it was gonna be a star, but I think it would have helped if he had a little bit more structure there in terms of like they weren't leaning at him immediately to like, okay, can you start saving the franchise, whatever?
[46:41] SPEAKER_03: Less than oh my bad.
[46:42] SPEAKER_03: Go ahead.
[46:42] SPEAKER_04: As like a lottery pick versus like if he would have had a little bit more, if the team was just better in general, they would have kind of found a just like an easier role for him, and he still could have been really good at that role.
[46:51] SPEAKER_07: I think 2020 is just a different year of drafting goals.
[46:54] SPEAKER_07: Maybe because if we didn't have a true combine, and because a lot of the interviews were via Zoom, you look at it, a lot of teams just missed.
[47:01] SPEAKER_07: You know, and I'm definitely not excusing the motherfuckers that that drafted pick four that year.
[47:06] SPEAKER_07: But you think about all the really good players, like a Maxi being in the 20s or a Desmond Bain being the last pick of the first round, just like those guys got failed that much.
[47:15] SPEAKER_07: And I wonder if part of it is because we didn't get a like a the college basketball season stopped abruptly, so there was no tournament for a guy like Maxie to get his stock up.
[47:24] SPEAKER_07: And then, yeah, we didn't have a true combine and we didn't have three-on-three workouts and one-on-one workouts.
[47:30] SPEAKER_07: It's just like we got 13 games of college film, we're gonna draft a guy based on that.
[47:34] SPEAKER_07: It's kind of shit.
[47:35] SPEAKER_07: Um, I mean, there are obviously the right makes like Anthony Everett's going number one or like Lamello going number three, yeah, going number three.
[47:44] SPEAKER_00: No, White's moving too, yeah.
[47:45] SPEAKER_07: But yeah, that over that draft in general.
[47:47] SPEAKER_07: Like, if you if you go down that draft, you'll be like, damn, the best players in this draft, again outside of Ant, went way later than they probably should have.
[47:56] SPEAKER_03: So Sacramento, you said poor development or bad scouting.
[48:01] SPEAKER_03: Mike said a little bit of both.
[48:02] SPEAKER_03: I think that's kind of fair.
[48:04] SPEAKER_03: But like, I wonder where it really leans to majority, because I'm gonna go back to like the earliest I remember the the Kings drafting, which is like Francisco Garcia out of Louisville, 23rd pick.
[48:16] SPEAKER_03: I thought that was a solid pick.
[48:17] SPEAKER_03: That's a good pick.
[48:18] SPEAKER_03: That's a good pick.
[48:18] SPEAKER_03: Quincy Duby was a 19th overall pick.
[48:20] SPEAKER_03: I know y'all probably not familiar with Quincy Duby at the time.
[48:23] SPEAKER_03: Felt like a solid swing.
[48:25] SPEAKER_03: Quincy Duby was an incredible score of records, one of the best scores in the nation.
[48:29] SPEAKER_03: Then I really remember this.
[48:31] SPEAKER_03: 2007, 10th overall pick, they took Spencer Hawes.
[48:34] SPEAKER_03: That was a big shocker.
[48:37] SPEAKER_03: Um not the biggest shocker, but I I remember being like, oh, damn, okay.
[48:43] SPEAKER_03: Okay.
[48:44] SPEAKER_03: Then the next year they took Jason Thompson at 12.
[48:47] SPEAKER_03: Yes.
[48:48] SPEAKER_03: Um, I was not at this time familiar with Jason Thompson out of Ryder University, I won't lie.
[48:53] SPEAKER_03: Um, then they took Tyreek Evans fourth out of Memphis.
[48:56] SPEAKER_03: I thought that was a really good pick.
[48:58] SPEAKER_03: Then they took the Marcus Cousins the very next year at fit at five.
[49:02] SPEAKER_03: So I feel like you made some good decisions.
[49:04] SPEAKER_03: Two Calipari guys, too.
[49:06] SPEAKER_03: Um they also took Hasan Whiteside in the second round.
[49:11] SPEAKER_03: Then they took Bismack Biambo seventh.
[49:14] SPEAKER_03: Um, but that was traded to Charlotte.
[49:16] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I don't remember.
[49:17] SPEAKER_07: Okay, so he got traded.
[49:18] SPEAKER_03: And then they took Tyler Honeycutt rest in peace in the second round.
[49:21] SPEAKER_03: They took Isaiah Thomas with the 60 overall overall pick, which was a home run hit.
[49:26] SPEAKER_07: And then I think that year they got Hassan as a free agent or like an undrafted guy, right?
[49:30] SPEAKER_03: The year before.
[49:31] SPEAKER_03: They got Cousins and Hassan in the same year.
[49:33] SPEAKER_07: Wow, okay.
[49:33] SPEAKER_07: Good draft.
[49:35] SPEAKER_07: Good draft that year.
[49:36] SPEAKER_03: Then they got Thomas Robinson with the fifth pick.
[49:40] SPEAKER_07: That oh, that hurts.
[49:42] SPEAKER_03: Then the next year, Ben McLamore with the seventh pick.
[49:45] SPEAKER_07: That hurts.
[49:46] SPEAKER_03: They also got my guy Ray McCullum in the second round out of Detroit, which I felt was like a steal of the draft.
[49:51] SPEAKER_03: Then the following year, they took Nick Stauskis at eighth overall.
[49:55] SPEAKER_03: Stauskis steal.
[49:57] SPEAKER_03: The year after that, at sixth, they took Willie Collie Stein at the time Demarcus Cousins is ascending into the street.
[50:07] SPEAKER_04: Mike, Nick Stalk is at eight.
[50:09] SPEAKER_04: Nick Stauskis is a little crazy for Willie.
[50:11] SPEAKER_03: Willie Collie Stein at six was a mind-blowing thing when you have Boogie Cousins.
[50:14] SPEAKER_03: It is, it is.
[50:15] SPEAKER_03: This is like big Boogie is establishing himself and y'all took Willie Cullins.
[50:19] SPEAKER_04: I remember Ray McCullum, I thought was gonna be a good pick.
[50:22] SPEAKER_04: And who you say before that?
[50:23] SPEAKER_04: Ben McLamore.
[50:24] SPEAKER_04: Ben McLamore.
[50:25] SPEAKER_03: I like the Ben McLamore.
[50:26] SPEAKER_07: It was good, it just didn't pan out how you wanted it to be.
[50:28] SPEAKER_07: Bro, I'm sorry, Kings fans, bro.
[50:29] SPEAKER_07: Nick Stowski got drafted there.
[50:31] SPEAKER_07: He played one season before he was traded.
[50:33] SPEAKER_07: Isn't that crazy?
[50:34] SPEAKER_07: He played, they drafted eight.
[50:36] SPEAKER_07: Where'd he go after that?
[50:36] SPEAKER_07: One year, Philly.
[50:37] SPEAKER_07: Oh, yeah.
[50:38] SPEAKER_07: It made no sense.
[50:39] SPEAKER_03: Um then they took De'Aaron Fox.
[50:43] SPEAKER_03: Yep.
[50:44] SPEAKER_03: Good, good, good draft.
[50:46] SPEAKER_03: Where's uh Oh, I probably can't see the Papayannis?
[50:50] SPEAKER_03: Jimmer for that Papayannis, they probably belong to other technically, so it's not showing up.
[50:55] SPEAKER_03: But yeah, the Jimmer for that pick, I thought in real time was terrible.
[50:58] SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm always gonna uh say how I feel about that.
[51:01] SPEAKER_03: Papayannis, when you have Boogie Cousins again, terrible picks.
[51:05] SPEAKER_03: Um but then they eventually got De'Aaron Fox, uh, and then then they went Marvin Bagley at second overall.
[51:12] SPEAKER_07: Um Can I read y'all this Nick Stalskis trade?
[51:16] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[51:17] SPEAKER_07: Nick Stalskis, again, a year after he was drafted, almost to the day, was traded by the Sacramento Kings with Carl Landry, Jason Thompson, a 2017 first-round pick that ended up being Jason Tatum, a 2019 first-round pick that ended up being Romeo Langford to the Philadelphia 76ers for two guys that never played in the NBA.
[51:37] SPEAKER_07: Two overseas guys.
[51:39] SPEAKER_07: Wow.
[51:39] SPEAKER_07: And then a 2017 pick that ended up being De'Aaron Fox.
[51:43] SPEAKER_07: So they traded Jason Tatum, Romeo Langford.
[51:46] SPEAKER_04: They traded those first-round picks.
[51:47] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[51:48] SPEAKER_07: And they got the pick that ended up being De'Aaron Fox in exchange for those.
[51:51] SPEAKER_00: But like ain't that crazy?
[51:54] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so Nick Stalskins was connected to Jason Tatum.
[51:57] SPEAKER_07: Connected to the Jason Tatum tradition.
[51:58] SPEAKER_07: And then of course Tatum got traded for pick one.
[52:03] SPEAKER_07: Wait.
[52:03] SPEAKER_07: Yes.
[52:04] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[52:05] SPEAKER_07: Yes.
[52:05] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[52:06] SPEAKER_07: Um and then Nick Stalskin actually got traded a bunch in his career.
[52:10] SPEAKER_07: Traded by the 76ers with Julia Okafour for second-round pick that ended up being Nicholas Claxon.
[52:17] SPEAKER_07: Derek.
[52:18] SPEAKER_07: Damn, so he just so Nick Stalskin's just every pick he traded for just turned to goal.
[52:23] SPEAKER_07: Andrew Nimhart.
[52:24] SPEAKER_07: He was a part of the one of the picks he got traded for late in his career ended up being Andrew Nimhart.
[52:28] SPEAKER_03: You're kind of right, Mike.
[52:30] SPEAKER_03: Whenever they went and fucked with Calapari, they kind of De'Aaron Fox, Demarcus Cousins, Tyree, Tyree Gavin.
[52:38] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they they they should have just kept that method.
[52:40] SPEAKER_07: Dude, Nick Stelskis helped build that Pacer team that went to the championship.
[52:43] SPEAKER_07: He also was traded for Aaron Neesmith later in his career.
[52:51] SPEAKER_07: Holy shit.
[52:51] SPEAKER_07: He's in play.
[52:54] SPEAKER_07: He played from 2015 to 2022, which is six years.
[52:58] SPEAKER_04: Sound like he was in more trades than actual season.
[53:01] SPEAKER_03: Sound crazy.
[53:02] SPEAKER_03: The Kings.
[53:04] SPEAKER_03: What the hell were they trying to do?
[53:06] SPEAKER_03: They was trying to shoot the lights out of the fucking.
[53:09] SPEAKER_07: And though they've flipped GMs a bunch of times since then, they still got the same owner.
[53:15] SPEAKER_04: Because, yeah, it's like we put our beard in soon.
[53:18] SPEAKER_03: Nick Stowskis, Jimmer Ferday, Ben Mackinac, somewhere close.
[53:22] SPEAKER_03: They was trying to be the best shooting team ever.
[53:25] SPEAKER_03: They say, hey, we we we gon' yeah.
[53:28] SPEAKER_07: We don't need creation.
[53:29] SPEAKER_07: We don't need passing.
[53:31] SPEAKER_07: It's the shooters.
[53:32] SPEAKER_03: And don't get me wrong.
[53:33] SPEAKER_04: And we need seven big fellas.
[53:34] SPEAKER_04: A lot of times when that shooter that's shooting from 50 feet out.
[53:38] SPEAKER_03: A lot of times in a draft, hindsight is 2020.
[53:41] SPEAKER_03: But a handful of their picks, I I probably got tweets or old Facebook posts that show you I'm out of there.
[53:47] SPEAKER_04: You said they got Jason Thompson at seven?
[53:49] SPEAKER_03: No, no, no, no.
[53:49] SPEAKER_03: I thought he was 12.
[53:51] SPEAKER_03: That's still good.
[53:52] SPEAKER_04: No, they got Thomas Robinson at five.
[53:53] SPEAKER_03: That's right.
[53:55] SPEAKER_04: Damn near the same mold a player.
[53:57] SPEAKER_03: Thomas Robinson was almost like a national player.
[54:00] SPEAKER_03: Not even almost.
[54:00] SPEAKER_03: He might have been national player of the year.
[54:02] SPEAKER_03: I can kind of understand that one.
[54:03] SPEAKER_03: I ain't really understanding Nick Stowski's Jimmer Fred or Papayannis or Willie Kalestein.
[54:10] SPEAKER_03: But some of the others, it's like, yeah, I can see why you took Marvin Bagley.
[54:13] SPEAKER_03: The only thing about that is Luka Doncic was after that.
[54:15] SPEAKER_07: Hey, bro.
[54:17] SPEAKER_07: So he was drafted by the Kings at pick five in 2012.
[54:20] SPEAKER_07: Thomas.
[54:20] SPEAKER_07: Thomas.
[54:21] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[54:22] SPEAKER_07: At next year's trade at line, I mean, that year's trade in line, he got traded.
[54:25] SPEAKER_07: The motherfucker didn't even play one season with the Kings.
[54:28] SPEAKER_07: What did he get traded for?
[54:29] SPEAKER_07: The Blazers.
[54:29] SPEAKER_07: He got traded by the Kings with Francisco Garcia, Tyler Honeycutt again, rest in peace.
[54:35] SPEAKER_03: Oh, it was to the Rockets.
[54:36] SPEAKER_07: To the Rockets for Cole Aldrich, Tony Douglas, and P-Pat.
[54:39] SPEAKER_07: They traded overall pick for.
[54:41] SPEAKER_04: You said that was who?
[54:42] SPEAKER_04: Jason Thompson?
[54:44] SPEAKER_04: No, um That was Thomas Robinson.
[54:46] SPEAKER_03: Jason Thompson is in the trade.
[54:49] SPEAKER_04: They went to the Rockets and they was decent, though.
[54:51] SPEAKER_04: What year was that?
[54:52] SPEAKER_04: Mike.
[54:54] SPEAKER_04: Not that that Rockets was decent, but it's like I ain't look at that.
[54:57] SPEAKER_07: What happened with this kid?
[54:59] SPEAKER_07: He got to Houston.
[55:00] SPEAKER_07: He played 19 games with Houston.
[55:02] SPEAKER_07: And then he was in Portland the next season.
[55:03] SPEAKER_07: He was a fifth overall pick and played on three teams before his second year in the NBA.
[55:07] SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
[55:08] SPEAKER_00: Sacramento might just be fine.
[55:10] SPEAKER_03: So in his rookie year, he got traded at the deadline.
[55:12] SPEAKER_07: He got traded at the deadline for Tony Douglas and P.
[55:14] SPEAKER_07: Pack.
[55:14] SPEAKER_03: Are you sure?
[55:15] SPEAKER_07: I am looking at it right here.
[55:17] SPEAKER_07: He was drafted June of 2012.
[55:18] SPEAKER_07: Uh-huh.
[55:19] SPEAKER_07: In February of 2013, he was traded.
[55:22] SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
[55:23] SPEAKER_07: He played a total of the three games with the Kings before he got traded.
[55:26] SPEAKER_04: I'm putting that on the kids.
[55:27] SPEAKER_04: It's something off.
[55:28] SPEAKER_04: Ain't no way they're bringing in rookies and trading them before they get a speed.
[55:31] SPEAKER_02: Y'all remember Thomas Robinson in Kansas?
[55:33] SPEAKER_03: He was a fucking monster.
[55:35] SPEAKER_03: Thomas Robinson?
[55:36] SPEAKER_03: Yes, he was a monster.
[55:36] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[55:37] SPEAKER_03: He was physically built.
[55:38] SPEAKER_03: You couldn't stop him off the glass.
[55:39] SPEAKER_03: He ever taken up 18 to 12.
[55:42] SPEAKER_03: He was a dog.
[55:43] SPEAKER_03: That team almost won the national championship.
[55:45] SPEAKER_03: He was arguably the best player in college basketball.
[55:48] SPEAKER_03: So for him to have gotten traded in his rookie, like what the hell?
[55:52] SPEAKER_07: Dude, three teams before.
[55:54] SPEAKER_07: Anyway, great question.
[55:56] SPEAKER_07: That was only the first question.
[55:57] SPEAKER_04: I know, I know, I know.
[55:58] SPEAKER_04: So hopefully some of the things.
[55:59] SPEAKER_04: That'd be cool.
[56:00] SPEAKER_04: I like what he's doing.
[56:00] SPEAKER_03: He has an article from Kansas that says former Kentucky, I mean foremost Kansas University Power Ford, Thomas Robinson, a highly tied fifth overall pick in the 2012 draft was left dazed and confused after getting traded twice during his rookie season.
[56:14] SPEAKER_03: He got traded twice?
[56:15] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[56:15] SPEAKER_07: Because he finished his season with Houston, and then in that offseason, he got traded to Portland.
[56:21] SPEAKER_03: You don't feel settled at all, said the 6'10, 250-pound Washington, D.C.
[56:25] SPEAKER_03: native sent from the Sacramento Kings to Houston Rockets in February and on to Portland Trailblazers in July.
[56:30] SPEAKER_03: It's a unique situation, but unique things tend to happen to me, the 22-year-old added.
[56:34] SPEAKER_03: It feels like I've been in the league five years already.
[56:37] SPEAKER_03: It's only been one.
[56:38] SPEAKER_03: It's a good thing.
[56:38] SPEAKER_03: It's matured me as a player, matured me as a person.
[56:41] SPEAKER_03: It humbled me a lot.
[56:43] SPEAKER_03: Robinson in one year went from a KU starter who averaged 17.7 points in 12 to a reserve who manages 4.8 points and 4.5 boards for the Kings and Rockets.
[56:53] SPEAKER_03: The decline in productivity left Robinson searching for answers.
[56:56] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I won't act like I remember his game too well.
[56:58] SPEAKER_07: And I'm looking at these numbers.
[56:59] SPEAKER_07: It wasn't very good.
[57:00] SPEAKER_07: But I would give him the benefit of the doubt.
[57:02] SPEAKER_07: But like if your rookie season goes this like crazily, how do you ever find your footing in the league?
[57:07] SPEAKER_07: We've seen people have bad rookie seasons and turn into be solid NBA players.
[57:11] SPEAKER_07: I don't want to say he didn't have a chance because he still played in the league for five years before he officially flamed out.
[57:16] SPEAKER_07: But like, damn, getting traded twice in your rookie season gotta do something with your mental when it comes to trying to solidify yourself as an NBA player.
[57:24] SPEAKER_04: That's why I had to lean towards the Kings.
[57:29] SPEAKER_04: Two lottery, two tools, two days.
[57:30] SPEAKER_04: You got a chance to even give a chance.
[57:34] SPEAKER_03: He said, I talked to Coach Self a couple times this year, more than a couple, actually.
[57:38] SPEAKER_03: He constantly told me the same thing he told me when I struggled before my junior year.
[57:41] SPEAKER_03: Just be a rebounder.
[57:42] SPEAKER_03: That's what I'm going to do.
[57:44] SPEAKER_03: I'm trying to read this because at some point he brought up mental.
[57:47] SPEAKER_03: One thing that describes me as rebounding.
[57:49] SPEAKER_03: My confidence is getting back up.
[57:51] SPEAKER_03: That's in large part because I think he has now realized who he is.
[57:54] SPEAKER_03: He's a rebounder.
[57:55] SPEAKER_03: Thomas can shoot.
[57:57] SPEAKER_03: Self-stead.
[57:58] SPEAKER_03: Thomas for me was a volume shooter, though, since he had the green light last year.
[58:02] SPEAKER_03: He knew if he missed, it didn't matter because he was supposed to keep shooting.
[58:04] SPEAKER_03: And the NBA, it's a little bit different when you are not the first option.
[58:07] SPEAKER_03: So he has to be able to make one or two wherever he shoots.
[58:11] SPEAKER_03: I think his head is right.
[58:12] SPEAKER_03: Not that his head was ever bad.
[58:14] SPEAKER_03: Sometimes if things don't go well, you get put in different spots.
[58:17] SPEAKER_03: You get a little down.
[58:18] SPEAKER_03: I think his batteries are charged.
[58:20] SPEAKER_03: Worse.
[58:21] SPEAKER_03: Robinson said he's motivated to play for the Blazers, who have made it clear he's somebody to front office value.
[58:26] SPEAKER_03: I want it there, which is a good thing.
[58:28] SPEAKER_03: They are young, especially.
[58:30] SPEAKER_03: Robson is eager.
[58:31] SPEAKER_03: Mentally, man, he said the key of his future.
[58:34] SPEAKER_03: My career isn't over.
[58:35] SPEAKER_03: It doesn't matter what I did last year.
[58:36] SPEAKER_03: I need to get back to being.
[58:37] SPEAKER_03: So yeah, he said his future was just about the mental part.
[58:41] SPEAKER_03: That's kind of crazy, bro.
[58:43] SPEAKER_03: We should just spend an episode just deep diving on Sacramento King picks.
[58:47] SPEAKER_07: Well, I'm looking at Papayannis's trade history.
[58:49] SPEAKER_03: His ass traded all over, wasn't he?
[58:51] SPEAKER_03: No, actually not.
[58:52] SPEAKER_03: Because he never wanted to come over.
[58:53] SPEAKER_07: He's traded on draft night.
[58:55] SPEAKER_07: That's how they get him at pick 13.
[58:57] SPEAKER_07: He plays 22 games in this rookie season, 16 games in the sophomore year before the King said, This is enough.
[59:04] SPEAKER_07: Get out my locker room.
[59:05] SPEAKER_07: He dipped.
[59:06] SPEAKER_07: They waived him.
[59:06] SPEAKER_03: Oh, they waved him.
[59:07] SPEAKER_07: They just straight up waived him.
[59:08] SPEAKER_07: They didn't even try to trade a 20-year-old guy.
[59:10] SPEAKER_07: What was he doing in those 38 games?
[59:12] SPEAKER_07: Oh, he was dog shit, P.
[59:14] SPEAKER_07: He was the first one.
[59:15] SPEAKER_07: I just don't understand.
[59:16] SPEAKER_03: You already have Boogie.
[59:17] SPEAKER_03: Even if he wasn't like dog shit, because I mean he and he overseas.
[59:20] SPEAKER_03: Maybe he's just trying to do fucking.
[59:24] SPEAKER_07: But like, what the fuck are y'all doing?
[59:27] SPEAKER_07: He was projected to go into second round.
[59:28] SPEAKER_07: I did a whole video about him on uh uh Hint of Hoops a while back about like most mocks hit him in the second round and he got drafted.
[59:35] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't know anything about him.
[59:36] SPEAKER_03: He got drafted 13th.
[59:37] SPEAKER_07: Besides again, for the people at home, he was projected in the second round, and the Kings traded up to draft him at 13.
[59:44] SPEAKER_03: When they had Boogie Cousins.
[59:47] SPEAKER_07: That's crazy, bro.
[59:50] SPEAKER_04: Um next question comes from B.
[59:52] SPEAKER_04: Young.
[59:54] SPEAKER_04: Which team is one piece away from being a title contender?
[59:57] SPEAKER_04: Even if you got a squinch ass at eight.
[1:00:03] SPEAKER_07: Which team is one piece away from being a title contender?
[1:00:06] SPEAKER_00: The Cavs.
[1:00:07] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[1:00:07] SPEAKER_00: Get them LeBron.
[1:00:08] SPEAKER_00: I think that legit solidifies them as a contender.
[1:00:12] SPEAKER_00: Um, conference finals.
[1:00:15] SPEAKER_00: I think the Warriors as well.
[1:00:16] SPEAKER_00: I think if they get LeBron, I think you gotta put them in that contender category when you talk about the duo with LeBron's.
[1:00:23] SPEAKER_07: You think it's LeBron and AD.
[1:00:24] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, even that.
[1:00:25] SPEAKER_07: You think they're LeBron and AD away?
[1:00:27] SPEAKER_07: I th even that don't don't pass the smell test to me.
[1:00:30] SPEAKER_07: The talent is undeniable, but like I can't I can't imagine that team winning 16 games in the postseason.
[1:00:36] SPEAKER_03: I'll say the Celtics.
[1:00:38] SPEAKER_03: I'll say the Celtics.
[1:00:39] SPEAKER_03: Which is crazy because they traded Jalen Brown.
[1:00:41] SPEAKER_03: They traded they one piece.
[1:00:43] SPEAKER_03: But maybe they don't need somebody as good as Jalen Brown, but like I still like their team a lot.
[1:00:47] SPEAKER_03: Derek White Paul, George, Jason Tatum, Peyton Pritchard, Mitchell Robinson, uh Nemaeus Cada, uh, you know, uh Hugo Gonzalez.
[1:00:56] SPEAKER_03: Uh is it just the Sixers?
[1:00:58] SPEAKER_03: Baylor Shireman.
[1:00:59] SPEAKER_03: I thought it was a lot of people.
[1:00:59] SPEAKER_04: The Sixers are already there, but it's like Mike Holly.
[1:01:02] SPEAKER_04: They got Mike Highley.
[1:01:03] SPEAKER_04: You slide him for in for Dean Wade, and Dean Wade is just coming off your bench now.
[1:01:07] SPEAKER_04: That's that's a crazy as many.
[1:01:08] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I kind of look at the the Sixers as a tier two contender as of today.
[1:01:11] SPEAKER_07: Not because of the talent level, because of big big fella um's health overall.
[1:01:16] SPEAKER_07: It's kind of like I said, it's hard for me to imagine that with that older Warriors team winning 16 games.
[1:01:20] SPEAKER_07: It's kind of hard for me to see Joel and B being healthy enough in the postseason to win 16 games.
[1:01:25] SPEAKER_07: So I see this.
[1:01:26] SPEAKER_07: So I would I would add them.
[1:01:27] SPEAKER_07: I think the the Denver Nuggets have been disappointed to me this offseason.
[1:01:30] SPEAKER_07: That I mean, they brought in Marvin Bagley, they brought back Trey Tyus Jones.
[1:01:35] SPEAKER_07: That was it.
[1:01:36] SPEAKER_07: That was it.
[1:01:36] SPEAKER_07: And for the last couple of years, they've been a team like, oh, they can win a championship, they can win a championship.
[1:01:40] SPEAKER_07: Um I don't know if I feel that way as of today, based on their current roster.
[1:01:44] SPEAKER_00: I don't know if they need to bring back Peyton Watson on the value, like, or back-to-back years, also Aaron Gordon's hamstrings have not been able to keep him throughout the regular season.
[1:01:52] SPEAKER_07: Big Val is gone too.
[1:01:53] SPEAKER_07: Big Val went overseas.
[1:01:54] SPEAKER_07: Shout out to him.
[1:01:54] SPEAKER_07: He finally got it.
[1:01:55] SPEAKER_07: After a year of telling us he wanted to play overseas, he finally got it.
[1:01:57] SPEAKER_03: What if the Celtics got Trey Murphy?
[1:02:00] SPEAKER_03: In exchange for what?
[1:02:01] SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
[1:02:03] SPEAKER_07: I guess that I think that matters.
[1:02:06] SPEAKER_07: Um Trey Murphy's a really good player, though.
[1:02:09] SPEAKER_00: Um I'm very surprised Peyton Watson still doesn't limbe.
[1:02:14] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like he's also another name that's just sitting out there.
[1:02:16] SPEAKER_03: They said somebody make it a late push for him.
[1:02:18] SPEAKER_03: The Bucs?
[1:02:19] SPEAKER_03: The Bucks make it a late push.
[1:02:21] SPEAKER_03: If he went to the Bucks, I would I would fuck with that team.
[1:02:23] SPEAKER_07: Why the hell?
[1:02:24] SPEAKER_07: I'm trying to think about their depth at certain positions.
[1:02:26] SPEAKER_07: I mean, he's better than every wing on the team, would you say?
[1:02:29] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, right.
[1:02:30] SPEAKER_07: So I guess that doesn't matter.
[1:02:32] SPEAKER_07: Um But interesting.
[1:02:34] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, it's gotta be a weird place to be the agent of an a restricted free agent when there's no more money to be given out.
[1:02:39] SPEAKER_07: Like you just call the team, it's y'all want my guy, y'all want my guy, we can make it work, you're gonna make it work.
[1:02:42] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[1:02:43] SPEAKER_07: They're willing to sign this rate, so if you wanna if you wanna give up this guy to send him to you could get it's gonna it's gotta be real tough.
[1:02:48] SPEAKER_07: I don't know who he's represented by, but it's gotta be a tough place to be, as we see with Durin and him.
[1:02:53] SPEAKER_07: I feel like there's one more restricted free agent that's out there that it's like.
[1:02:55] SPEAKER_03: Oh, the Trey Murphy dream is over for the Celtics.
[1:02:58] SPEAKER_00: I thought we talked about who um they're next.
[1:03:00] SPEAKER_00: Is it from Peyton Watson or Duran?
[1:03:02] SPEAKER_07: Uh Payton Watson, Durin.
[1:03:03] SPEAKER_07: I feel like there was another restricted free agent that's just out in limbo right now.
[1:03:06] SPEAKER_07: Or maybe I'm wrong.
[1:03:07] SPEAKER_04: Is it um Kaminga?
[1:03:08] SPEAKER_04: Kaminga.
[1:03:08] SPEAKER_07: He's not restricted anymore.
[1:03:09] SPEAKER_03: He's just they let him go.
[1:03:10] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:03:11] SPEAKER_07: But yeah, he's also in limbo.
[1:03:13] SPEAKER_07: Like he's like, is he gonna be a Laker for no money?
[1:03:14] SPEAKER_07: But then they just signed Zaire Williams for no money.
[1:03:16] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, 15 spots, man.
[1:03:18] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[1:03:18] SPEAKER_04: I'm sure we can cut somebody though.
[1:03:19] SPEAKER_04: Who would you cut?
[1:03:20] SPEAKER_04: Vando?
[1:03:22] SPEAKER_04: I think it's if we just waive Vando or whatever or cut him, we would have to pay like a decent amount of money over the next few years.
[1:03:29] SPEAKER_04: So it'd have to be somebody on a little bit lesser deal.
[1:03:31] SPEAKER_04: So you would do we can't do Brianny.
[1:03:34] SPEAKER_07: Just he's he's gonna be moving with Braun, it seems like.
[1:03:38] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:03:38] SPEAKER_00: Is that official?
[1:03:39] SPEAKER_07: Not no, I mean, not a few.
[1:03:40] SPEAKER_00: So a lot of teams has been rumored that they would be keeping open spots.
[1:03:44] SPEAKER_03: He ain't play summer league.
[1:03:45] SPEAKER_03: You ain't say shit about that.
[1:03:46] SPEAKER_03: Why you why you get on my boy Jeremiah Fierce and not say nothing about and Derrick Queen and I say nothing about Brian.
[1:03:50] SPEAKER_04: Because Bronny just got some playoff minutes.
[1:03:52] SPEAKER_04: He's good.
[1:03:53] SPEAKER_04: Even though they was it was balling his ass up as him trying to bring the ball up, but he's good.
[1:03:57] SPEAKER_07: Oh, Ben Matherin.
[1:03:58] SPEAKER_07: Thank you, Jeremy.
[1:03:59] SPEAKER_07: Ben Matherin is still a strict, restricted frame with no offers as of today.
[1:04:03] SPEAKER_01: That's true.
[1:04:04] SPEAKER_04: There we go.
[1:04:05] SPEAKER_04: Next question comes from Ruth Tyler.
[1:04:07] SPEAKER_04: Says if every player in the league was converted to a rookie or the rookie selves, which team would be the best?
[1:04:15] SPEAKER_04: Meaning I thought of the Spurs because they just had a rookie that did was amazing.
[1:04:19] SPEAKER_04: Vic is a rookie.
[1:04:20] SPEAKER_04: You got Dylan Harper as a rookie.
[1:04:21] SPEAKER_00: Well, I was well, unfortunately.
[1:04:22] SPEAKER_00: Dear Fox is a rookie, too.
[1:04:24] SPEAKER_00: But rookie LeBron is clearly the best player in the league.
[1:04:26] SPEAKER_07: But he's not on the team right now.
[1:04:27] SPEAKER_00: Yes.
[1:04:28] SPEAKER_00: Oh shit.
[1:04:30] SPEAKER_00: Who's the best player in the league?
[1:04:31] SPEAKER_00: LeBron.
[1:04:33] SPEAKER_00: Really?
[1:04:33] SPEAKER_00: If you were rookie of the rookie, if it was rookie.
[1:04:35] SPEAKER_03: Really?
[1:04:35] SPEAKER_07: If everybody's rookie, yeah, I think Braun is still the best player in the Legends.
[1:04:39] SPEAKER_03: Oh no, we're going, he has to be a rookie.
[1:04:41] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Cooper Flag, the best player in the damn league.
[1:04:43] SPEAKER_07: I mean, Luca's still up there too.
[1:04:44] SPEAKER_03: Cooper Flag, uh uh Ricky Kyrie.
[1:04:47] SPEAKER_03: Kevin Durant is gonna be a bucket out of the gate.
[1:04:50] SPEAKER_07: Like, do you get true rookie season or official rookie season?
[1:04:54] SPEAKER_07: What you mean?
[1:04:54] SPEAKER_07: OKC, do they get Chad before the injury or Chet after the injury?
[1:04:58] SPEAKER_07: Because J Dub was really good as rookie season.
[1:05:00] SPEAKER_07: Shea was not.
[1:05:01] SPEAKER_03: Shea.
[1:05:01] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he wasn't great, but like they're not the same team because of that.
[1:05:04] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think they got too much variance.
[1:05:07] SPEAKER_03: Isaiah Hardenstein was not who is, you know.
[1:05:10] SPEAKER_07: Lou Dort was kind of dooky.
[1:05:12] SPEAKER_07: Steph Curry was injured.
[1:05:14] SPEAKER_07: Steph Curry, yeah.
[1:05:15] SPEAKER_07: Like it would have to be.
[1:05:18] SPEAKER_00: Yokic was a good.
[1:05:19] SPEAKER_07: The Spurs are probably the age.
[1:05:21] SPEAKER_04: But if he if you had rookie Tyrese Maxi, rookie Jalen Brown, rookie Joe.
[1:05:25] SPEAKER_03: Jason Tatum, Jason Tatum went on a playoff run as a rookie.
[1:05:28] SPEAKER_03: Who he with?
[1:05:29] SPEAKER_03: He got Paul Paul George.
[1:05:30] SPEAKER_03: But Derek White is a rookie.
[1:05:32] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's him.
[1:05:33] SPEAKER_07: The man's cater was a rookie like two years ago.
[1:05:34] SPEAKER_07: He couldn't play in Sacramento.
[1:05:37] SPEAKER_07: I like that question.
[1:05:38] SPEAKER_07: I think the Spurs.
[1:05:39] SPEAKER_07: I think the Spurs are the Spurs are the yes.
[1:05:41] SPEAKER_00: Because I think they have like rookie harper, rookie castle.
[1:05:44] SPEAKER_00: Even rookie Harrison Barnes was really solid.
[1:05:46] SPEAKER_00: Rookie Fox.
[1:05:48] SPEAKER_00: Like, I think they have a very good team.
[1:05:50] SPEAKER_07: Let me look at standings just to make sure we're not forgetting about somebody major.
[1:05:54] SPEAKER_03: The Cavaliers would have rookie Donovan.
[1:05:56] SPEAKER_07: Uh huh, who was amazing out the gate.
[1:05:58] SPEAKER_07: Rookie Evermold.
[1:05:59] SPEAKER_07: Pretty much pretty.
[1:06:00] SPEAKER_03: Rookie James Harden.
[1:06:01] SPEAKER_03: Rookie James Harden.
[1:06:02] SPEAKER_03: As a starter, he will be started now.
[1:06:05] SPEAKER_03: Jared Allen.
[1:06:06] SPEAKER_03: I can't remember Jared Allen's rookie season.
[1:06:08] SPEAKER_03: I remember him just being solid.
[1:06:09] SPEAKER_03: He might have made all rookie team.
[1:06:11] SPEAKER_03: Same type of player.
[1:06:12] SPEAKER_03: Rebound and motherfucking gone.
[1:06:14] SPEAKER_04: Who the team that's like, shh, they got like who got multiple rookie of the years?
[1:06:18] SPEAKER_04: No, I'm thinking like, what if the Warriors had their rookie year where it's rookie steph?
[1:06:22] SPEAKER_04: You got rookie Draymond.
[1:06:23] SPEAKER_04: Like, they didn't have this shit figured out together right out the gate.
[1:06:26] SPEAKER_04: So this shit might be just not that good at all.
[1:06:30] SPEAKER_04: Rookie Jimmy Butler.
[1:06:32] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he didn't play.
[1:06:32] SPEAKER_04: I act like Clay Solute, I'm saying.
[1:06:35] SPEAKER_04: You said Rookie Jimmy Butler.
[1:06:36] SPEAKER_04: He didn't play.
[1:06:37] SPEAKER_04: He would have been murky hard as hell, though.
[1:06:39] SPEAKER_04: Hey.
[1:06:39] SPEAKER_04: Rookie King.
[1:06:40] SPEAKER_04: New Raw?
[1:06:41] SPEAKER_03: The Blazers.
[1:06:42] SPEAKER_03: Dame and Ja.
[1:06:43] SPEAKER_03: That was a two rookie of the year.
[1:06:44] SPEAKER_03: Okay.
[1:06:45] SPEAKER_03: There you go.
[1:06:45] SPEAKER_03: Good call.
[1:06:46] SPEAKER_03: Right?
[1:06:46] SPEAKER_03: Ja was rookie of the year, right?
[1:06:48] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:06:48] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:06:48] SPEAKER_03: Or was it Zion?
[1:06:50] SPEAKER_07: You still got Klingon down low.
[1:06:52] SPEAKER_07: Zion wasn't playing his rookie season.
[1:06:54] SPEAKER_03: Remember that game hit all the threes.
[1:06:55] SPEAKER_03: We was at the game.
[1:06:56] SPEAKER_03: That was his first game.
[1:06:57] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, against the Spurs.
[1:06:59] SPEAKER_03: Giving all just that word.
[1:07:01] SPEAKER_07: Oh, Klingon, he's still super young.
[1:07:02] SPEAKER_07: Denny, I don't remember Ruby.
[1:07:04] SPEAKER_07: Shaden Sharp.
[1:07:04] SPEAKER_07: Shaden Sharp.
[1:07:07] SPEAKER_03: That's a tough game.
[1:07:08] SPEAKER_03: It wouldn't be a bad team.
[1:07:09] SPEAKER_03: Ooh, LaMello and Ant.
[1:07:14] SPEAKER_00: Rookie Rudy Gabrier.
[1:07:15] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:07:16] SPEAKER_03: Rookie Jaden McDames.
[1:07:18] SPEAKER_03: Hey, the Rockets might be decent, though.
[1:07:20] SPEAKER_03: Okay.
[1:07:20] SPEAKER_03: KD, Amon Thompson, Singoon, Jabari, Atari, Reesha.
[1:07:28] SPEAKER_03: Like, they have a solid team.
[1:07:30] SPEAKER_03: Because KD was really like a 20-point scorer as a rookie.
[1:07:34] SPEAKER_03: But then the Mavericks, you got Kyrie, Cooper Flag.
[1:07:37] SPEAKER_03: Hey, the Mavericks.
[1:07:38] SPEAKER_03: That's what I was saying.
[1:07:39] SPEAKER_03: That's what I was saying.
[1:07:40] SPEAKER_04: Kyrie and Cooper Flag would have been stupid.
[1:07:42] SPEAKER_03: Klay Thompson?
[1:07:43] SPEAKER_03: Hey, hey, they might be decent, bro.
[1:07:45] SPEAKER_03: They might be decent, bro.
[1:07:47] SPEAKER_03: The Mavericks, Mavericks might be my answer, bro.
[1:07:49] SPEAKER_03: Let me look at the Mavericks roster real quick.
[1:07:51] SPEAKER_03: That might be my answer, seriously.
[1:07:55] SPEAKER_07: Chris Middleton, by the way.
[1:07:56] SPEAKER_07: Going back to Washington.
[1:07:58] SPEAKER_00: You had a long deal, too.
[1:08:00] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you did.
[1:08:01] SPEAKER_00: I was very surprised by that.
[1:08:02] SPEAKER_00: Same.
[1:08:04] SPEAKER_04: Next question we got is from Grant Button.
[1:08:09] SPEAKER_04: How much importance how much importance should be placed on Summer League games?
[1:08:13] SPEAKER_04: I know we kind of answer this a lot, but I thought the second part of this question was a little bit more interesting.
[1:08:17] SPEAKER_04: Has media or social media changed that perception?
[1:08:20] SPEAKER_07: You know the answer to that.
[1:08:21] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I think for sure.
[1:08:23] SPEAKER_07: Dale and Swain had a really bad game last night, 0 for 9 from the field, struggled.
[1:08:29] SPEAKER_07: And I've seen a bunch of fans just already out on game two of Summer League.
[1:08:32] SPEAKER_07: And I'm just like, have we not learned our lesson?
[1:08:35] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:08:35] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I just think naturally when you're playing basketball, you're gonna have bad games.
[1:08:38] SPEAKER_00: No matter if it's summer league, no matter if it's the regular season.
[1:08:41] SPEAKER_07: Also, he's playing a role he's never played before.
[1:08:42] SPEAKER_07: He's never been a point guard.
[1:08:44] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[1:08:44] SPEAKER_07: A good good great handle for a wing, but he's never been a point guard.
[1:08:46] SPEAKER_04: Bro, that's literally what he said in his interview.
[1:08:48] SPEAKER_04: He's like, man, I'm I'm glad I or he said I didn't really get the opportunity to always be a like a main ball handler in college, so I'm really thankful.
[1:08:54] SPEAKER_04: They're giving me this opportunity right now.
[1:08:56] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[1:08:56] SPEAKER_04: So it's like, yeah.
[1:08:57] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, real, we only have Kennedy Chandler.
[1:09:00] SPEAKER_00: Like, that's like the only point guard on the rock.
[1:09:02] SPEAKER_00: Set up.
[1:09:02] SPEAKER_00: Set up a little bit, but like Kennedy Chandler is like the real like point guard type of guy.
[1:09:08] SPEAKER_03: To answer this question, I I like honestly speaking, if I'm just being super, super straight, I've never looked at somebody and based their career off summer league.
[1:09:16] SPEAKER_03: You get your things that make you feel good, obviously.
[1:09:19] SPEAKER_03: And you get your things that make you like, oh damn, like the the white uh, I mean, Drake Powell is really struggling.
[1:09:24] SPEAKER_03: But at the end of the day, Drake Powell could get into the regular season, have a good training camp, play with NBA players in the actual uh circumference of the league, and be a totally different player.
[1:09:34] SPEAKER_03: We've seen the Josh Selbies dominate summer league, and it it didn't matter in a regular season, right?
[1:09:41] SPEAKER_03: Like we've seen the Vander Blues kill in Summer League, but can't really stick on the team.
[1:09:46] SPEAKER_03: No shot at those guys because they can hoop.
[1:09:48] SPEAKER_03: But we've also seen guys struggle and it means nothing.
[1:09:51] SPEAKER_03: You know, it's just a cool thing to see the players for the first time on the stage, to see them, you know, maybe uh have some good moments.
[1:09:58] SPEAKER_03: Maybe a second year guy like a Cedric Coward uh shows that the difference between a second year and a rookie player after having a year of experience.
[1:10:06] SPEAKER_03: But I've never looked at somebody and was like, oh, he's gonna take over the league.
[1:10:09] SPEAKER_04: I think there's a certain mold of player too where I look at like kind of like the 3ND wing or what's your favorite Jokic moment in the summer league when he was playing?
[1:10:18] SPEAKER_03: I couldn't name any one.
[1:10:19] SPEAKER_04: But there's just certain, there's a certain archetype that's like they're just better with net like around NBA players or providing for a star versus him trying to show out what he can do against these type of uh guys.
[1:10:30] SPEAKER_04: I think like I forget, maybe it was like Ben Shepard, maybe a year or two.
[1:10:35] SPEAKER_04: I was like, he wasn't really doing much, and I'm like, it really don't mean as much to me because I know that his value comes next to a Tyrese Halliburton or it comes next to a a very like a Pascal Siakam.
[1:10:47] SPEAKER_04: You don't just get that all the time in summer league.
[1:10:50] SPEAKER_04: Summer League is where you show out.
[1:10:51] SPEAKER_04: It's usually for the top dogs in the in the in the prospects.
[1:10:54] SPEAKER_04: I'm not looking at for these second and third year guys who already damn near carved out a role to kind of just go out and play.
[1:11:00] SPEAKER_04: But I do think there are a lot of players that still should just get the reps anyway because why the hell not?
[1:11:06] SPEAKER_04: Why the hell not go out there and show that I can shoot or I could put up 30 points and I could just dominate this league and like that's just runs for you.
[1:11:15] unknown: Yeah.
[1:11:15] SPEAKER_00: There's actually a video out there called How Nicole Jokic's first summer league showed how he was gonna showed us he was going to be a star.
[1:11:22] SPEAKER_07: Shout out to that person.
[1:11:22] SPEAKER_07: That's a great title.
[1:11:24] SPEAKER_07: Um I think that very rarely do I watch Summer League, and my opinion about a player shifts than what it was like before the Summer League game.
[1:11:32] SPEAKER_07: You can say, like earlier, we were talking about how um Braden Burries has been amazing so far.
[1:11:36] SPEAKER_07: And I mentioned how off the bounce to get into the basket, he looks better than I remember from watching the little amount of film that I watched.
[1:11:42] SPEAKER_07: But like, I'm not looking at that and saying he's about to go into the NBA and turn into Kyrie Irving as a finisher in the rim.
[1:11:47] SPEAKER_07: You know, like that's just not the way you look at it.
[1:11:49] SPEAKER_07: At the end of the day, Summerly's supposed to be fun.
[1:11:50] SPEAKER_07: It's for the young guys to get some reps, it's for people to showcase their skills for not just the NBA scouts, but overseas scouts.
[1:11:56] SPEAKER_07: The amount of people that get jobs other places is super important.
[1:12:00] SPEAKER_07: And it's basketball level basketball in a place where we don't have it.
[1:12:05] SPEAKER_04: That shit also lets you have 10 fouls, too.
[1:12:07] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[1:12:07] SPEAKER_04: I mean, I just feel like that pushes back a little bit of something.
[1:12:10] SPEAKER_04: It's like, yeah, that dude is locking his ass up, but his ass also got like nine fouls.
[1:12:15] SPEAKER_03: He got like the whole experience is that.
[1:12:17] SPEAKER_03: I was talking uh your boy Robbie Avi that for the Lakers, he he he's on teed up.
[1:12:22] SPEAKER_03: Um, and we was talking about how put together it is, based off like he was talking about, I asked him about the struggles of like a guy who is such a basketball player coming from different types of systems where it's it's multi-layer, offensive, highly, you know, high IQ type of shit.
[1:12:41] SPEAKER_03: And he was talking about, you know, the experience of kind of being on the team that's thrown together over a couple weeks, guys coming from a bunch of different programs, a bunch of different ways of playing basketball.
[1:12:52] SPEAKER_03: And he was talking about like he had a couple times where he's so used to the offense that he ran at Indiana State and at St.
[1:12:59] SPEAKER_03: Louis uh with his with his coach.
[1:13:04] SPEAKER_03: And he threw a couple backdoor passes that would have been it in college because of the system that they ran and guys being on the same page.
[1:13:10] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:13:10] SPEAKER_04: I think of a good example for me, like in looking at this, is in that game we seen the Grizzlies play against the Bulls, late in that game, they were going to Cam Boozer a lot in the posts.
[1:13:20] SPEAKER_04: And I felt like early in the game, like he would post up, but other guards would just get into the paint and it would get a little cluttered.
[1:13:26] SPEAKER_04: Late in that game, they were throwing it to him constantly.
[1:13:28] SPEAKER_03: Letting them make decisions.
[1:13:29] SPEAKER_04: And I always feel in like I always gotta think about that type of stuff because in today's game, you literally do have to be that guy a lot of time to get those constant, constant post touches.
[1:13:40] SPEAKER_04: And they drafted him for a reason.
[1:13:42] SPEAKER_04: They're gonna definitely utilize him, but it's like I wonder how much is in a rookie, as a rookie, is he gonna be kind of demanding the ball with people kind of around him, and how much they're gonna actually kind of just run through the offense.
[1:13:54] SPEAKER_04: Because I thought they got some good looks, they had a nice backdoor cut.
[1:13:57] SPEAKER_04: I think that he had a kick out for a three-point, and it's like, yeah, when you settle the offense down and you actually got something you run in, teams look better.
[1:14:05] SPEAKER_00: They do.
[1:14:06] SPEAKER_00: What?
[1:14:06] SPEAKER_04: How far?
[1:14:07] SPEAKER_04: Watch the games, y'all.
[1:14:08] SPEAKER_04: Super fun stuff going on.
[1:14:10] SPEAKER_04: Um funny enough.
[1:14:13] SPEAKER_04: Next question is from a guy named Morant Sack Town 12.
[1:14:17] SPEAKER_04: Where he got the Sack Town, uh, maybe he just leaves.
[1:14:19] SPEAKER_03: He thought he was going to the you dig.
[1:14:21] SPEAKER_04: He said, uh, what are the chances the Grizzlies surprise some people next season, or is this another year of building?
[1:14:27] SPEAKER_07: This is another year of building.
[1:14:29] SPEAKER_07: Oh, they got some really fun pieces though, man.
[1:14:30] SPEAKER_07: I think it's like one of the most a lot of teams.
[1:14:33] SPEAKER_07: Um obviously we keep talking about Seti and uh said and all his progression going into year two.
[1:14:39] SPEAKER_07: Cam Boozer is a man already as an NBA player.
[1:14:42] SPEAKER_07: If Zach Edy is healthy, he's he's a phenomenal rim protector and showed some stuff with the shooting before he got injured.
[1:14:48] SPEAKER_07: They can now.
[1:14:52] SPEAKER_00: Can they also pick up Quinn Pose?
[1:14:53] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sure did because Zach Edy.
[1:14:55] SPEAKER_04: They might be able to bring back a little bit of that green and grind.
[1:14:57] SPEAKER_04: Just think about the physicality of the way they want to design defend stuff like that.
[1:15:02] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Jalen Wells.
[1:15:04] SPEAKER_00: I'm excited to see those Boozer and Edie minutes together.
[1:15:06] SPEAKER_07: I agree.
[1:15:07] SPEAKER_04: I think you're gonna see a lot of high-low actions too.
[1:15:09] SPEAKER_04: Where it's just like post players.
[1:15:12] SPEAKER_00: And they both are really good on the glass, they're gonna they're gonna be able to really give teams problems on the offensive glass.
[1:15:16] SPEAKER_07: And Boozer don't have to adjust to the NBA line.
[1:15:19] SPEAKER_00: No, he don't.
[1:15:20] SPEAKER_07: Nope, not at all.
[1:15:21] SPEAKER_04: That's what I heard.
[1:15:23] SPEAKER_04: Um, this is one of my favorite questions.
[1:15:26] SPEAKER_04: It's from Porky345.
[1:15:28] SPEAKER_04: Not the Porky.
[1:15:30] SPEAKER_04: If LeBron said he would play for your team for the next five years, but he's only playing 30 games a season, playoffs included, are you signing him to your team?
[1:15:40] SPEAKER_05: Absolutely.
[1:15:42] SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
[1:15:43] SPEAKER_07: What I got to lose.
[1:15:44] SPEAKER_07: I get to watch some.
[1:15:45] SPEAKER_04: You do get to watch lose some cap space for a lot of those games.
[1:15:48] SPEAKER_07: Oh, well, what do we sign it for?
[1:15:49] SPEAKER_04: So I'm not gonna say no max.
[1:15:50] SPEAKER_04: I obviously no max for no 30 games.
[1:15:52] SPEAKER_04: So let's say it's 20 mil a year.
[1:15:55] SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
[1:15:56] SPEAKER_04: Sign me up.
[1:15:56] SPEAKER_07: 20 mil a year.
[1:15:57] SPEAKER_07: Give me 44 Eurobron on the Chicago Bulls.
[1:15:59] SPEAKER_07: Fuck it.
[1:16:01] SPEAKER_07: Bring number 23 down.
[1:16:03] SPEAKER_07: No, let me stop.
[1:16:03] SPEAKER_07: I'm that's going too far.
[1:16:05] SPEAKER_07: But yeah, what I don't have anything to lose at that point.
[1:16:07] SPEAKER_07: It'll be cool to see LeBron play in my city.
[1:16:09] SPEAKER_07: I I didn't get to see LeBron at all in his prime.
[1:16:11] SPEAKER_07: I know this is a way different version of him.
[1:16:13] SPEAKER_07: But the times I have seen LeBron, even though he was still really good but past his prime, was phenomenal.
[1:16:18] SPEAKER_07: And I think he'd probably still carry a lot of that on.
[1:16:20] SPEAKER_04: So yeah, bring him on.
[1:16:22] SPEAKER_04: Run him at the two.
[1:16:23] SPEAKER_04: You just had the ability to.
[1:16:25] SPEAKER_04: Well, I guess it would be on him.
[1:16:27] SPEAKER_04: I don't know how it'll go.
[1:16:28] SPEAKER_04: It's either like you taking him like we need you for this game, or he's saying, I'm good for these games.
[1:16:33] SPEAKER_07: Because I think even with a fully 82 game Braun, this bull seems not a playoff team.
[1:16:37] SPEAKER_07: So we ain't have to think about reserving some games of the postseason.
[1:16:40] SPEAKER_07: Just let him play these 30 in the regular season.
[1:16:43] SPEAKER_07: 30 in the regular season next year.
[1:16:45] SPEAKER_07: The year after that, we in the postseason.
[1:16:46] SPEAKER_04: Like the Spurs lose.
[1:16:48] SPEAKER_04: Uh they lose game one.
[1:16:51] SPEAKER_04: All of a sudden they say, Braun.
[1:16:52] SPEAKER_04: Braun, you're actually saying we need you for this game.
[1:16:55] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[1:16:56] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't think many teams say no.
[1:16:58] SPEAKER_00: I think everybody says, hell yeah, let's get it.
[1:17:00] SPEAKER_04: To the point where you're even 47 years old, you still can't come under that contract for 20 million.
[1:17:05] SPEAKER_00: We good.
[1:17:05] SPEAKER_00: The Knicks is good.
[1:17:07] SPEAKER_04: What about the Lakers?
[1:17:09] SPEAKER_00: For 20 million.
[1:17:10] SPEAKER_04: For 20 million.
[1:17:11] SPEAKER_00: Anytime we need him, he could just I think they would have called him if they was willing to give him 20 million.
[1:17:15] SPEAKER_00: They didn't even give his ass an office.
[1:17:17] SPEAKER_04: But it's for the next five years, though.
[1:17:20] SPEAKER_00: Oh no.
[1:17:21] SPEAKER_00: I don't think Luca.
[1:17:22] SPEAKER_00: I don't think we do it.
[1:17:22] SPEAKER_00: I don't think Luca green like that.
[1:17:25] SPEAKER_00: Luca didn't, when they said he did his uh Luca says, spend all that money on Sandro Mamush Feli, please.
[1:17:30] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Luca's whole premise was Bill Narassa, and that whole Bill Narassa thing did not include LeBron.
[1:17:37] SPEAKER_04: Uh next question comes from I apologize because I'm pronouncing this wrong, but Marty I like this question too.
[1:17:44] SPEAKER_04: After this offseason, what Christmas Day matches would you like to see?
[1:17:47] SPEAKER_07: Celtics versus Celtics 76ers in Boston.
[1:17:52] SPEAKER_07: Has to be there.
[1:17:53] SPEAKER_07: Um he bucks.
[1:17:55] SPEAKER_04: They might be able to keep that game.
[1:17:57] SPEAKER_07: They might be able to keep it earlier.
[1:17:59] SPEAKER_07: But then again, Bam did punch Tyler Hero.
[1:18:03] SPEAKER_07: So, like, that could be something.
[1:18:05] SPEAKER_07: If anything, that's the first game of the day type vibe where you're not watching for real.
[1:18:09] SPEAKER_04: No, that's like the second game.
[1:18:10] SPEAKER_07: You think so?
[1:18:11] SPEAKER_07: Because you're excited for the first game.
[1:18:12] SPEAKER_07: Excited for the first game.
[1:18:13] SPEAKER_04: And the second game is like the okay, let me spend time with the family.
[1:18:16] SPEAKER_04: Let me get my plate together.
[1:18:18] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[1:18:19] SPEAKER_07: Um Spurs, OKC.
[1:18:22] SPEAKER_07: Whatever team, whatever team.
[1:18:24] SPEAKER_07: Nick's gonna be in there.
[1:18:25] SPEAKER_07: I'm just trying to figure out what team makes more sense for the.
[1:18:27] SPEAKER_07: I mean, the finals rematch is not bad.
[1:18:28] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:18:29] SPEAKER_00: And then whatever team LeBron on versus the Lakers.
[1:18:33] SPEAKER_00: I like that idea.
[1:18:34] SPEAKER_00: That I think that's uh Knicks Pacers.
[1:18:37] SPEAKER_03: Oh, with the poorly healthy pacers?
[1:18:40] SPEAKER_03: Dude, Knicks Mavericks.
[1:18:41] SPEAKER_03: I want to see Cooper Flag on Christmas.
[1:18:42] SPEAKER_07: You always do gotta.
[1:18:43] SPEAKER_07: Oh, I can't I said rookie.
[1:18:45] SPEAKER_07: One of the rookies has to play on Christmas.
[1:18:46] SPEAKER_07: It's just a matter of which one do the NBA pick.
[1:18:48] SPEAKER_07: It's gonna be Cooper.
[1:18:49] SPEAKER_07: Oh, no, no, no.
[1:18:50] SPEAKER_07: It's gonna be AJ, because he literally was the first pick.
[1:18:51] SPEAKER_07: I said Cooper.
[1:18:55] SPEAKER_07: Dude, Wizards Jazz on Christmas.
[1:18:58] SPEAKER_07: That don't even sound right.
[1:18:59] SPEAKER_07: That don't sound right at all.
[1:19:02] SPEAKER_07: But who yeah, Wizards?
[1:19:03] SPEAKER_04: It would have to be what's the last year that shit wouldn't even sounded right on the schedule?
[1:19:07] SPEAKER_04: Wizards jazz?
[1:19:08] SPEAKER_07: That shit had they probably have never been good at the same time.
[1:19:15] SPEAKER_00: That's actually funny.
[1:19:16] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that is.
[1:19:18] SPEAKER_04: Maybe John Wall had a Christmas game or something like that.
[1:19:20] SPEAKER_04: I feel like Donovan Mitchell had a Christmas game.
[1:19:22] SPEAKER_04: For sure, for sure.
[1:19:24] SPEAKER_00: That is crazy when you think that they've probably never been good at the same time.
[1:19:27] SPEAKER_07: So, okay, let's lock in.
[1:19:29] SPEAKER_03: Celtics versus I think John Wall played against the Knicks on Christmas and killed us, actually.
[1:19:33] SPEAKER_04: I feel like I remember them jerseys too.
[1:19:36] SPEAKER_04: Because that's when they had the sleeve jerseys.
[1:19:37] SPEAKER_04: And it was just the big logo in the middle.
[1:19:39] SPEAKER_07: That shit was ugly.
[1:19:40] SPEAKER_07: Bullshit.
[1:19:41] SPEAKER_07: Um, Pacers, Knicks, OKC Spurs, the Lakers versus Braun.
[1:19:46] SPEAKER_07: Lakers, Braun.
[1:19:47] SPEAKER_00: Or do they do the same shit where they do Braun versus the Warriors?
[1:19:51] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, they could do that too.
[1:19:53] SPEAKER_07: I feel like that's an every year thing.
[1:19:54] SPEAKER_07: But you gotta have them.
[1:19:55] SPEAKER_07: But no, Lakers, Lakers have to have the Lakers play on Christmas.
[1:19:57] SPEAKER_03: So, Rocket, Rockets, Mass.
[1:19:59] SPEAKER_03: They always do some shit like that.
[1:20:01] SPEAKER_03: It's always like a random.
[1:20:03] SPEAKER_03: The Minnesota Timberwolves usually get a game too.
[1:20:05] SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
[1:20:05] SPEAKER_00: I mean, we gotta also include Steph Curry.
[1:20:07] SPEAKER_00: Steph Curry has to be a game.
[1:20:08] SPEAKER_00: That's too much going on.
[1:20:12] SPEAKER_04: Curry Bryan.
[1:20:13] SPEAKER_04: We just make it a two-day two-day Christmas.
[1:20:15] SPEAKER_03: You know Kate Cunningham got to get a game.
[1:20:16] SPEAKER_03: He's got a signature shoe now.
[1:20:18] SPEAKER_04: It was cold, too.
[1:20:21] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, unless it's Minnesota versus the Warriors.
[1:20:28] SPEAKER_00: At least then you get Anthony Edwards and they saw each other in the postseason once, right?
[1:20:31] SPEAKER_07: Yes, they're Curry got injured.
[1:20:33] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:20:35] SPEAKER_07: I just want to say, Adam said, we got a lot of great options.
[1:20:38] SPEAKER_07: Yes.
[1:20:39] SPEAKER_07: But don't throw it OCurry.
[1:20:40] SPEAKER_03: Seattle Splitter didn't play Noah Senge in it.
[1:20:42] SPEAKER_03: In the second half.
[1:20:43] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he said he wanted more from Senge.
[1:20:47] SPEAKER_03: I like that.
[1:20:47] SPEAKER_03: Who you telling?
[1:20:49] SPEAKER_03: I like that.
[1:20:50] SPEAKER_03: Who you telling?
[1:20:51] SPEAKER_03: You already implemented the culture.
[1:20:52] SPEAKER_03: Wanted more energy.
[1:20:52] SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
[1:20:54] SPEAKER_03: Wanted more energy from him, which correlates to what I tell you when I was out.
[1:20:57] SPEAKER_03: Too nonchalant.
[1:20:58] SPEAKER_03: Hate that nonchalant shit.
[1:21:00] SPEAKER_03: Can't stand it, man.
[1:21:01] SPEAKER_07: Because you have a special thing.
[1:21:05] SPEAKER_07: What NBA superstar is nonchalant?
[1:21:08] SPEAKER_07: No, no.
[1:21:09] SPEAKER_07: Exactly.
[1:21:10] SPEAKER_07: Okay, good call.
[1:21:11] SPEAKER_07: She nonchalant.
[1:21:12] SPEAKER_07: Shea is nonchalant for sure.
[1:21:13] SPEAKER_00: I think he's just smooth.
[1:21:14] SPEAKER_00: I don't think he's nonchalant.
[1:21:15] SPEAKER_07: That man is not.
[1:21:16] SPEAKER_07: How do you see that line then?
[1:21:17] SPEAKER_07: Because it has to be a fine line between smoothness and non-winning MVPs and average 30.
[1:21:22] SPEAKER_07: Winning heels all, baby.
[1:21:23] SPEAKER_00: When I can smoothly get 30, I ain't being nonchalant.
[1:21:26] SPEAKER_00: This shit just easy.
[1:21:27] SPEAKER_07: He is very nonchalant.
[1:21:28] SPEAKER_07: That's why I'm super happy when he does like that one game winner he hit and he was pumping up the crowds.
[1:21:32] SPEAKER_07: Like, that's that's different.
[1:21:34] SPEAKER_07: I like when he do that.
[1:21:35] SPEAKER_07: Y'all think he lost some aura, by the way, when he cut his hair?
[1:21:37] SPEAKER_07: No.
[1:21:38] SPEAKER_07: Did he ever have any?
[1:21:40] SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
[1:21:40] SPEAKER_03: I'm just talking.
[1:21:42] SPEAKER_03: Nah, I like the haircut.
[1:21:43] SPEAKER_03: I think that's this that's the next step in the evolution.
[1:21:46] SPEAKER_03: You gotta cut.
[1:21:47] SPEAKER_07: He's just following direction.
[1:21:48] SPEAKER_07: That's what I that's what I did too.
[1:21:50] SPEAKER_07: And I'm in my prime.
[1:21:51] SPEAKER_07: So you about to hit your prime too, brother.
[1:21:53] unknown: Nah.
[1:21:54] SPEAKER_03: It's crazy to hit your hair.
[1:21:56] SPEAKER_03: I instinctively rub my hair.
[1:21:57] SPEAKER_03: And he's rubbing his.
[1:21:58] SPEAKER_04: They said y'all basically twins now.
[1:22:01] SPEAKER_03: I'm a little older than him.
[1:22:02] SPEAKER_04: That shit got 4,000.
[1:22:04] SPEAKER_04: If anything, he's my little brother.
[1:22:06] SPEAKER_07: They say y'all be dressing alike.
[1:22:09] SPEAKER_07: Thank you, I guess.
[1:22:10] SPEAKER_07: That motherfucker got some swag on it.
[1:22:13] SPEAKER_00: I brought that to wear for one of those shoes for Christian.
[1:22:16] SPEAKER_00: And then I ended up just a sweater.
[1:22:21] SPEAKER_00: Can we see it?
[1:22:22] SPEAKER_00: It's just a crew neck.
[1:22:23] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, damn.
[1:22:24] SPEAKER_00: It's all stinky.
[1:22:25] SPEAKER_04: I just wanted to see it.
[1:22:26] SPEAKER_00: It's all stinky.
[1:22:26] SPEAKER_00: Where that hoodie at you bought?
[1:22:28] SPEAKER_07: Shout out to my little bro.
[1:22:29] SPEAKER_00: I wore that shit on.
[1:22:30] SPEAKER_00: I wore that shit today.
[1:22:31] SPEAKER_00: I told my wife before.
[1:22:32] SPEAKER_00: I literally saw him.
[1:22:33] SPEAKER_00: We was walking into a hotel and he was leaving.
[1:22:35] SPEAKER_00: I was like, ain't no way you got that home.
[1:22:37] SPEAKER_04: When I got home, I told my girl, this is my lucky sweater.
[1:22:43] SPEAKER_00: Motherfuckers saw you in the again walk into your seat and read that and looked it up.
[1:22:48] SPEAKER_00: It was like you funny as that.
[1:22:49] SPEAKER_04: How often do you see something on somebody's shirt and you read it?
[1:22:56] SPEAKER_03: It definitely got vacation vibes, though.
[1:22:59] SPEAKER_03: Huh?
[1:23:00] SPEAKER_03: How much was it?
[1:23:00] SPEAKER_03: 50.
[1:23:01] SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
[1:23:02] SPEAKER_03: I might have to buy me one.
[1:23:05] SPEAKER_03: I don't remember.
[1:23:06] SPEAKER_04: I had asked him about it because it was cold as hell or no.
[1:23:08] SPEAKER_04: It was so cold.
[1:23:09] SPEAKER_04: It was literally like the vent was blasting.
[1:23:12] SPEAKER_07: Did he wear the hoodie one day?
[1:23:13] SPEAKER_04: Oh, me?
[1:23:14] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[1:23:15] SPEAKER_04: He was still cold.
[1:23:15] SPEAKER_04: He was still telling me he was like, man, I'm still cold.
[1:23:18] SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
[1:23:18] SPEAKER_03: I had that rude hoodie on.
[1:23:19] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:23:20] SPEAKER_03: I know that lady was happy to sell the hoodie.
[1:23:21] SPEAKER_03: You probably don't sell merch off.
[1:23:23] SPEAKER_03: That was their last one.
[1:23:24] SPEAKER_03: It was their last one.
[1:23:25] SPEAKER_03: It was a three.
[1:23:29] SPEAKER_07: Bro, that's one of the funniest parts of our trip, bro.
[1:23:32] SPEAKER_07: I think you hit the group chat, like KB, I just bought this hoodie.
[1:23:36] SPEAKER_03: We all gotta buy one and wear it though.
[1:23:38] SPEAKER_03: They're gonna think we're part of secure.
[1:23:40] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
[1:23:41] SPEAKER_04: Uh next question comes from Fella in the Whip.
[1:23:45] SPEAKER_04: Says, how does an NBA player change a narrative about himself for the better?
[1:23:49] SPEAKER_04: And how often do we kind of see it?
[1:23:51] SPEAKER_04: Uh I'm telling you.
[1:23:52] SPEAKER_04: Performance on the court.
[1:23:53] SPEAKER_04: Winning.
[1:23:53] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:23:54] SPEAKER_00: Winning.
[1:23:54] SPEAKER_00: Straight up.
[1:23:55] SPEAKER_00: For instance, John Morant recently just said he don't understand why people keep talking about the stuff that he did a few years ago.
[1:24:01] SPEAKER_00: And I get what he's saying, but also there's nothing that you've done to cover it up.
[1:24:06] SPEAKER_00: Like you haven't really been on a court.
[1:24:08] SPEAKER_04: So like He just gotta do some other crazy shit.
[1:24:10] SPEAKER_00: No, no, like he has to be on the court and he has to go out and perform.
[1:24:14] SPEAKER_00: And he hasn't done that since those incidents.
[1:24:16] SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, nothing.
[1:24:16] SPEAKER_00: You haven't done anything else since your last suspension.
[1:24:19] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:24:19] SPEAKER_00: But you also haven't done shit on a court either.
[1:24:21] SPEAKER_07: So like it's like the last memory kind of is that.
[1:24:24] SPEAKER_07: But you know what?
[1:24:25] SPEAKER_07: I have not thought about that shit in since in a long time.
[1:24:28] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[1:24:29] SPEAKER_03: It's just him not being healthy.
[1:24:30] SPEAKER_03: Literally, if you're not.
[1:24:31] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's that's really what it is.
[1:24:32] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:24:33] SPEAKER_03: I think you also change the narrative by addressing stuff straight on.
[1:24:36] SPEAKER_03: A lot of players be trying to tiptoe around things and hope that the narrative just goes away or, you know, time heals all, which a lot of times it does.
[1:24:46] SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I think if you stand on, stand, stand on the 10 toes and address.
[1:24:51] SPEAKER_04: Because it's really that I I'm thinking about, I mean, we just seen a legit.
[1:24:55] SPEAKER_03: Some people ain't changed their narrative, though.
[1:24:56] SPEAKER_03: I'll tell you that.
[1:24:57] SPEAKER_04: I mean, Jalen Bronson had a narrative, OG had a damn narrative, Kat had a narrative, all that just changed with winning, but even to a lesser degree.
[1:25:04] SPEAKER_04: What was OG's narrative?
[1:25:06] SPEAKER_04: He was just overpaying for$40 damn million dollars, but now he's one of the greatest role players of all time.
[1:25:10] SPEAKER_07: I mean, he was he was very injured earlier in his career.
[1:25:12] SPEAKER_07: It's like they gonna pay him this much.
[1:25:14] SPEAKER_07: And he ain't he ain't really played much in a playoff.
[1:25:16] SPEAKER_07: Even in this playoffs, he missed a game, but it's like that didn't matter.
[1:25:19] SPEAKER_07: So yeah, I think I think everybody had a little summer.
[1:25:21] SPEAKER_07: Mikel Burger's five first-round picks.
[1:25:23] SPEAKER_07: Like everybody has it, and then you win, it's like fuck them picks.
[1:25:25] SPEAKER_07: You know?
[1:25:26] SPEAKER_04: Giannis had a narrative.
[1:25:27] SPEAKER_04: The shit just went right out the window.
[1:25:29] SPEAKER_07: Can can you win with a guy like Giannis and then he won?
[1:25:31] SPEAKER_07: It's like, oh shit, yeah, you can.
[1:25:32] SPEAKER_07: You win with a guy like Jokic anchoring your defense, yeah.
[1:25:34] SPEAKER_07: You can do that.
[1:25:35] SPEAKER_07: Winning heals everything, and it gets you paid.
[1:25:37] SPEAKER_07: Remember Wiggins FD that championship?
[1:25:40] SPEAKER_07: The first thing he doing on Instagram live is somebody, we get him paid.
[1:25:43] SPEAKER_07: I get it.
[1:25:44] SPEAKER_04: I think it's just performance in general to a certain degree, and not just like I'm putting up stats on whatever, but if like you could just get that small bit of light for the right time.
[1:25:54] SPEAKER_04: Because I'm thinking of a player like Jordan Poole, I feel like we haven't, this has just been in a negative light for the last few years.
[1:26:00] SPEAKER_04: If he was just able to have a decent part of a season where people are starting to look like, man, Jordan Poole back, that's all it kind of takes sometimes, and they're not gonna change the whole damn world, but at least it's like that's just not all I'm known for.
[1:26:12] SPEAKER_07: You know, Poole's got the expectation of his contract too.
[1:26:15] SPEAKER_07: 35.
[1:26:16] SPEAKER_04: But his ass also hasn't done anything.
[1:26:18] SPEAKER_04: You know, he's plays for the damn.
[1:26:19] SPEAKER_04: Well, the Pelicans as a whole, I think kind of speaks a little bit of that too, because they not doing anything.
[1:26:25] SPEAKER_00: But I mean, he they won a championship, man.
[1:26:28] SPEAKER_00: He helped them win a championship, they paid him.
[1:26:30] SPEAKER_00: Unfortunately, unforeseen events happened to happen.
[1:26:33] SPEAKER_07: Definitely was unforeseen by his ass.
[1:26:35] SPEAKER_07: He ain't done.
[1:26:40] SPEAKER_04: That game went in play when it was supposed to be for you.
[1:26:42] SPEAKER_00: Nah, that shit was crazy.
[1:26:43] SPEAKER_04: And you gotta go ask your teammate, what what coach?
[1:26:45] SPEAKER_04: He's talking about what coach drawing.
[1:26:47] SPEAKER_03: It was daydreaming.
[1:26:49] SPEAKER_04: No, he wasn't uh daydreaming.
[1:26:51] SPEAKER_04: He was talking to the crowd.
[1:26:53] SPEAKER_04: He was talking shit.
[1:26:55] SPEAKER_03: He was.
[1:26:55] SPEAKER_03: I was just trying to be, you know.
[1:26:57] SPEAKER_04: That boy said what?
[1:26:59] SPEAKER_03: That shit was crazy.
[1:26:59] SPEAKER_04: What did the coach say?
[1:27:00] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, somebody captured it.
[1:27:03] SPEAKER_03: Gotta say locked in, man.
[1:27:05] SPEAKER_04: I think that was all the basketball questions.
[1:27:07] SPEAKER_04: Um I only got two.
[1:27:09] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, let's go.
[1:27:11] SPEAKER_04: First one comes from David Hastings.
[1:27:14] SPEAKER_04: What is some advice for those who just finished high school?
[1:27:18] SPEAKER_03: Ooh.
[1:27:21] SPEAKER_03: Ooh.
[1:27:21] SPEAKER_03: Yes, I don't know.
[1:27:23] SPEAKER_03: So to not compare yourself to your peers that are also graduating, because what's going to happen is you're y'all gonna graduate, um, and some people are gonna figure things out a little faster, or it may feel that way.
[1:27:36] SPEAKER_03: Somebody may go off to a big ass university, somebody may get a job quick, somebody may get married in the next two years, have a child, and you may be somebody that's figuring your things out uh a little bit slower.
[1:27:50] SPEAKER_03: And I feel like when I talk to a lot of our fans that are graduating, and I remember graduating, I talk to some of my friends, I talked to some of these dudes up here, everybody goes through that track.
[1:28:00] SPEAKER_03: Of being freshly graduating out of high school and you're trying to figure out your next move, and you open up something like social media, and everybody's portraying their life to be the biggest and best, and you get into that spiral of panicking, feeling like you need to have everything figured out.
[1:28:14] SPEAKER_03: And then you ended up ending up 28, 30, 31, and realizing how silly you were for thinking you were supposed to have all the answers at fucking 18 because you barely got them at it 28.
[1:28:24] SPEAKER_03: You know what I'm saying?
[1:28:26] SPEAKER_03: So have fun, enjoy your life, and don't put too much pressure on yourself because at 18, you're not supposed to have everything figured out.
[1:28:32] SPEAKER_03: You're not supposed to be a millionaire.
[1:28:34] SPEAKER_03: But hey, if you can figure some things out, if you can be a multimillionaire, if you can get into your career, if you can't find your significant other, if you are gonna have a child, all of those things are great as well.
[1:28:44] SPEAKER_03: But if you're not, don't do yourself.
[1:28:46] SPEAKER_04: That also don't mean just like sit on your ass and be like, man, I'm something just gonna happen.
[1:28:50] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you definitely gotta be proactive in this, but it's you everybody got their own road.
[1:28:55] SPEAKER_04: Everybody got their own road.
[1:28:56] SPEAKER_04: Everybody, I think about myself, even five years ago, ten years ago, things was totally different.
[1:29:03] SPEAKER_04: I'm talking about, I mean, even the music I listen to.
[1:29:05] SPEAKER_04: You joke around with the little punk and stuff like that, but it's like, man, I'm just a totally different person in this.
[1:29:11] SPEAKER_04: No, seriously.
[1:29:12] SPEAKER_04: You know what I'm saying?
[1:29:13] SPEAKER_04: So it's always keep an open mind.
[1:29:15] SPEAKER_04: Never think that uh like a tough time is what defines you or how it's gonna be.
[1:29:20] SPEAKER_04: It's just something you kind of go through in life, and you're always gonna find like a different type of you, honestly.
[1:29:27] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, progression isn't linear.
[1:29:28] SPEAKER_00: Also, when there's bumps in the road, don't panic.
[1:29:30] SPEAKER_00: You're gonna get through it.
[1:29:31] SPEAKER_00: There's sometimes gonna be things that just don't go your way.
[1:29:34] SPEAKER_00: You may lose a job, you may lose a girlfriend, relationships.
[1:29:38] SPEAKER_00: I guess there's gonna be things that happen from when you graduate all the way to your 30.
[1:29:42] SPEAKER_00: Like it's gonna be, your life is gonna be so different.
[1:29:46] SPEAKER_00: And you're gonna look back at it and be like, shit, I went through that for a reason.
[1:29:50] SPEAKER_00: And it helped me, it helped everything you're going through when you're at that young is shaping you to be the person that you're gonna be when you get older.
[1:29:56] SPEAKER_07: Great advice, fellas.
[1:29:57] SPEAKER_07: I'll put a small one out there.
[1:29:58] SPEAKER_07: Where's sunscreen?
[1:30:01] SPEAKER_03: Ain't it crazy when you look at the old videos?
[1:30:03] SPEAKER_03: How like I know a lot of people talk about the transformation D Mail's made and whatnot, but like we all have transformed.
[1:30:09] SPEAKER_03: If you go back and watch those videos, it is so damn crazy.
[1:30:13] SPEAKER_03: Mike, you look like a fucking baby.
[1:30:15] SPEAKER_03: You got like baby fat on, no facial hair.
[1:30:18] SPEAKER_03: Color dreads.
[1:30:19] SPEAKER_03: Your color dreads.
[1:30:19] SPEAKER_03: Even before the dreads, he had like a fucking box cut fro.
[1:30:23] SPEAKER_03: Shit was uneven.
[1:30:24] SPEAKER_03: KB used to wear the little dirty white socks dad cap.
[1:30:28] SPEAKER_03: You got the patillos on.
[1:30:29] SPEAKER_03: I'm wearing a fucking cheese sauce stain on it.
[1:30:33] SPEAKER_04: Now look at me.
[1:30:35] SPEAKER_03: Muffers ain't had no cars.
[1:30:39] SPEAKER_03: He was wearing some sunscreen.
[1:30:40] SPEAKER_03: KB, what you have?
[1:30:41] SPEAKER_03: A Missy BC?
[1:30:42] SPEAKER_07: Missy B C Lancer stock.
[1:30:45] SPEAKER_00: What's that vitamin stuff that you put on?
[1:30:49] SPEAKER_07: You want the skincare routine.
[1:30:50] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what is it?
[1:30:51] SPEAKER_00: Glowing, ain't I?
[1:30:52] SPEAKER_00: You are glowing.
[1:30:52] SPEAKER_07: Come on, boys.
[1:30:53] SPEAKER_07: Stop, stop messing around.
[1:30:55] SPEAKER_07: I started the skincare routine about February 14th, uh 2026, and look at me now.
[1:31:01] SPEAKER_07: No Chris Brown.
[1:31:02] SPEAKER_07: I can put you on after.
[1:31:03] SPEAKER_07: I can put you on after, don't worry.
[1:31:04] SPEAKER_03: They left.
[1:31:05] SPEAKER_03: I definitely want to try to get it.
[1:31:06] SPEAKER_03: But the big thing.
[1:31:07] SPEAKER_03: You don't got no face routine?
[1:31:08] SPEAKER_03: No, I do.
[1:31:09] SPEAKER_03: But I don't know.
[1:31:09] SPEAKER_03: The big thing is the sunscreen.
[1:31:10] SPEAKER_03: What you do, though?
[1:31:11] SPEAKER_07: The big thing is the sunscreen.
[1:31:12] SPEAKER_00: I got um the La Roche, the face wash, but then I also had another one that's like the moisturized one that I used right after.
[1:31:19] SPEAKER_03: Face wash.
[1:31:20] SPEAKER_03: Do you wash your face with the same towel you put between your heads?
[1:31:24] SPEAKER_03: No.
[1:31:25] SPEAKER_07: So where's these bumps coming from?
[1:31:28] SPEAKER_07: Oh man.
[1:31:29] SPEAKER_07: You got you got your your wash, you got your glowing stuff, so like vitamin C.
[1:31:34] SPEAKER_07: Um everybody's gonna be different because I did try some stuff before that did break me out, so I don't want to act like this is gospel.
[1:31:39] SPEAKER_07: But the vitamin C, um, then you got your daily moisturizer, and you put it, keep it all together with the sunscreen.
[1:31:46] SPEAKER_07: You're gonna be glowing all day.
[1:31:47] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the serum that I use after doing all wash, it actually comes from Trader Joe's.
[1:31:50] SPEAKER_03: From Trader Joe's?
[1:31:51] SPEAKER_03: Like the best one.
[1:31:53] SPEAKER_03: And I've had some shit.
[1:31:54] SPEAKER_03: I had the for I really like the human-made uh Pharrell one, or it's a human race, I think, that come in a little green.
[1:32:00] SPEAKER_03: That shit is real, real good.
[1:32:01] SPEAKER_03: It's a little expensive, but honestly speaking, that Trader Joe's serum, that shit, I take it with me.
[1:32:08] SPEAKER_03: I took it to Vegas and New York.
[1:32:10] SPEAKER_03: I make sure I have that in the luggage.
[1:32:12] SPEAKER_03: That that shit is real good for it to be a Trader Joe's.
[1:32:14] SPEAKER_07: Also, just uh take care of your hygiene in general.
[1:32:17] SPEAKER_07: My goodness.
[1:32:17] SPEAKER_07: People, people be out here crazy.
[1:32:20] SPEAKER_07: Take care of your hygiene.
[1:32:21] SPEAKER_07: Shower daily, maybe twice if you might hurt.
[1:32:24] SPEAKER_07: Um somewhere hot.
[1:32:26] SPEAKER_07: Exfoliate, put your deodorant on.
[1:32:29] SPEAKER_04: No matter what time you get in, you gotta take that shower.
[1:32:31] SPEAKER_04: Lotion.
[1:32:33] SPEAKER_07: I just don't understand that.
[1:32:34] SPEAKER_04: You ever get in at like just late at late attail at night, and sometimes you don't be feeling like you're gonna shower.
[1:32:42] SPEAKER_03: Nah, I'm just fucking with the biggest.
[1:32:43] SPEAKER_07: I knew I was like, ain't no uh, we were when we were in Vegas, we were having our nights out and stuff.
[1:32:50] SPEAKER_07: Every time I got back, I still did my skincare routine.
[1:32:52] SPEAKER_07: It didn't matter what.
[1:32:53] SPEAKER_07: I laid it out.
[1:32:54] SPEAKER_04: As soon as we got before bed, I just had to get in the shower because I just when you travel until you just feel dirty.
[1:32:59] SPEAKER_04: You feel dirty.
[1:33:00] SPEAKER_03: And also Vegas, because like I think in the shower.
[1:33:08] SPEAKER_03: We'll go to bed.
[1:33:10] SPEAKER_03: Five o'clock in the morning.
[1:33:13] SPEAKER_03: Uh last question I got.
[1:33:15] SPEAKER_03: Some of them took my clothes off.
[1:33:16] SPEAKER_03: Oh, it's crazy.
[1:33:18] SPEAKER_03: Walked into the hotel like, little zombie.
[1:33:21] SPEAKER_04: Last question I got comes from Positive NBA fan.
[1:33:25] SPEAKER_04: Oh, what a name.
[1:33:26] SPEAKER_04: I wanted to make sure I get this in because I want to say congratulations.
[1:33:30] SPEAKER_04: He said, I'm about to have a kid, but still feel lost in the world.
[1:33:37] SPEAKER_04: Like a kid myself.
[1:33:38] SPEAKER_04: What's some advice on how to be a good dad?
[1:33:41] SPEAKER_04: Love it.
[1:33:41] SPEAKER_00: Um I felt that way too when I found out I was happening.
[1:33:44] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I don't know many people that don't feel that way.
[1:33:47] SPEAKER_00: Was you out, was you out on it?
[1:33:49] SPEAKER_00: No, but I also felt like I do remember your reaction.
[1:33:52] SPEAKER_00: I do, I did feel like I didn't even have my self-figured.
[1:33:55] SPEAKER_00: What was his reaction?
[1:33:56] SPEAKER_07: He was he was like in shock, like genuine shock.
[1:33:59] SPEAKER_07: There was no like, oh my goodness.
[1:34:00] SPEAKER_07: It was like, you for real?
[1:34:02] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:34:03] SPEAKER_07: Like the eyes of the innocent came out, Mike.
[1:34:05] SPEAKER_07: He didn't, he didn't, he didn't, you know what I'm saying?
[1:34:07] SPEAKER_00: I didn't say anything.
[1:34:08] SPEAKER_00: I was honestly just like just stuck.
[1:34:10] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:34:11] SPEAKER_07: He said, How could you?
[1:34:13] SPEAKER_03: It's like that was your three minutes.
[1:34:14] SPEAKER_03: Right, yeah, that was your fault.
[1:34:17] SPEAKER_03: He looked down at himself, how could you?
[1:34:22] SPEAKER_07: Oh, yeah, no, it's uh I what Derek is saying is true.
[1:34:24] SPEAKER_07: I think most most men have that too.
[1:34:27] SPEAKER_07: Um, because growing up is hard in general.
[1:34:30] SPEAKER_07: I don't know how old you are, positive NBA fan, but growing up is hard in general.
[1:34:33] SPEAKER_00: And when you attach having a kid, you feel like growing up is like expedited in a way?
[1:34:38] SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, yeah.
[1:34:39] SPEAKER_00: And so you become a man immediately.
[1:34:40] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and like at least you should feel like that way.
[1:34:43] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:34:44] SPEAKER_07: It's a lot of dudes out here with kids that ain't men.
[1:34:47] SPEAKER_00: You're gonna you're gonna raise a good kid, hopefully.
[1:34:50] SPEAKER_00: But like you're also gonna be growing through that.
[1:34:54] SPEAKER_00: You're also gonna be hopefully you're also gonna be growing yourself through this whole process as well.
[1:34:59] SPEAKER_00: So while they're growing, you're gonna be growing as well.
[1:35:02] SPEAKER_00: And there's gonna be stages where that shit feels like pulling teeth and like you're like you're gonna be like, ah, like it's gonna happen.
[1:35:09] SPEAKER_07: You can have once they hit two days, maybe weeks at a time where you feel like, what the fuck is going on?
[1:35:15] SPEAKER_07: Especially if the like sleep regression is what our youngest is going through right now.
[1:35:18] SPEAKER_07: My goodness, every night feels like a nightmare because you sleep for two hours and then she gets up and then she don't want to go back to sleep and she's yelling.
[1:35:24] SPEAKER_07: You got so like everything is everything is so fluid.
[1:35:27] SPEAKER_07: Um, what what happened with me when I found out that my wife was pregnant with Avery is that like I was already doing content and stuff like that, head down, but like it hit it it flipped something in my brain to make me go harder and and and care more about the financial part of life.
[1:35:43] SPEAKER_07: You now, I don't know when you found out.
[1:35:45] SPEAKER_07: Let's say you got six months, you got six months to try to figure some stuff out.
[1:35:47] SPEAKER_07: When my dad found out that my my mom was pregnant with me, he went out and got a CDL immediately, right?
[1:35:54] SPEAKER_07: So he's like, I got six months to go out there, find a career, and figure some shit out.
[1:35:58] SPEAKER_07: And I think you're in the same boat, bro.
[1:35:59] SPEAKER_07: Just give give yourself your significant other some grace because it there isn't, you can read as many books, listen, as many podcasts as you want about parenting.
[1:36:07] SPEAKER_07: Everything is gonna be different.
[1:36:08] SPEAKER_07: You're gonna read that this this method works for most kids and it may not work for yours.
[1:36:12] SPEAKER_07: Like, okay, now we shift.
[1:36:14] SPEAKER_07: And then also, I say I said the same thing at the live show.
[1:36:16] SPEAKER_07: Remember that when your kid is here, and this is maybe a little bit later, not when they're newborn, is it like it might be just a normal Tuesday for you, but for the kid, it is their childhood.
[1:36:26] SPEAKER_07: So it's easy to be like, I'm tired, I want to take the time off when like the kid wants shit to do.
[1:36:31] SPEAKER_07: So go go to the zoo, go to the park and make it as fun as possible.
[1:36:36] SPEAKER_07: You're gonna kill it though.
[1:36:37] SPEAKER_07: You're gonna kill it.
[1:36:38] SPEAKER_07: The fact that you're thinking about it so much makes me feel like you're gonna put it together.
[1:36:44] SPEAKER_04: That was all the questions.
[1:36:46] SPEAKER_04: I do have a question myself for D mails because he's our foodie.
[1:36:50] SPEAKER_04: So Elena's job, they always just order her lunch and like she be ringing at home.
[1:36:54] SPEAKER_04: So I told her, because she always be getting some shit that she really liked, even though she asked me, like, you want some or whatever.
[1:37:01] SPEAKER_04: So she asked me about Cooper's Hawk today.
[1:37:03] SPEAKER_04: What's what's something good at Cooper's Hawk?
[1:37:05] SPEAKER_04: Anytime I've been to Cooper's Hawk, which is maybe like twice, I never feel like it was really dating.
[1:37:11] SPEAKER_04: No, that's how I feel.
[1:37:12] SPEAKER_00: So menu is limited as hell.
[1:37:14] SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say that, I was literally gonna say that every time I've gone skill it.
[1:37:18] SPEAKER_00: Whatever you do, end with the cookie, skill it.
[1:37:20] SPEAKER_00: I've never, other than they wine, the food really has never really blown me away.
[1:37:25] SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, it's just salad.
[1:37:27] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it looks like they got some nice salads.
[1:37:29] SPEAKER_00: I mean, if you want to just salad nowadays.
[1:37:32] SPEAKER_00: Whenever I'm at a place like that, and I want to play a safe like it, like a chicken sandwich or a burger, and just say.
[1:37:37] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like their burger.
[1:37:38] SPEAKER_07: I avoid lettuce completely.
[1:37:39] SPEAKER_00: They got it, they got a nice skirt steak.
[1:37:41] SPEAKER_03: Oh, because of the parasite?
[1:37:42] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:37:42] SPEAKER_03: They got a nice skirt steak.
[1:37:44] SPEAKER_04: I was just looking at their skirt steak, too.
[1:37:48] SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna figure it out though.
[1:37:49] SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna figure it out.
[1:37:50] SPEAKER_04: I'll figure it out.
[1:37:51] SPEAKER_00: Are you going there or are you like bringing it in?
[1:37:52] SPEAKER_04: Nah, I think so.
[1:37:53] SPEAKER_04: Her job just orders basically.
[1:37:56] SPEAKER_04: I think they stay a little bit later around this time, so they just order them basically dinner and she just be bringing it home.
[1:38:03] SPEAKER_00: That's a great job.
[1:38:05] SPEAKER_00: Bringing them Cooper's Hawk.
[1:38:06] SPEAKER_07: We probably don't have another trip for quite some time.
[1:38:09] SPEAKER_07: I just want to say I love y'all boys, man.
[1:38:11] SPEAKER_07: We just went on three trips in the last month.
[1:38:14] SPEAKER_07: I think every one of the trips was a success from the content we produce to the time, just hanging out with each other.
[1:38:18] SPEAKER_07: Um and I'm already sad that we yeah, that we don't have a scheduled trip right now.
[1:38:22] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[1:38:23] SPEAKER_07: That we won't be going somewhere random.
[1:38:24] SPEAKER_07: Like I didn't expect San Antonio to be a vibe, but we made it a vibe.
[1:38:29] SPEAKER_07: Um we did so much work during the draft.
[1:38:31] SPEAKER_07: I didn't expect us to be able to find time to have fun that we found time, you know, and then Vegas.
[1:38:36] SPEAKER_07: Vegas is always a great trip every year we go, but we didn't go at all last year.
[1:38:39] SPEAKER_07: So to have an extra, some extra time to be together, you know, whether it be um, you know, at the Summerley Games, a live show, just hanging out.
[1:38:47] SPEAKER_07: I think after our live show, me, Pierre, and Christian just sat in the lobby of our hotel for like an hour, just chopping it up, not doing anything.
[1:38:52] SPEAKER_07: Stuff like that is very valuable um to me.
[1:38:55] SPEAKER_07: And um, you get your phone, yeah.
[1:38:57] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, bro.
[1:38:58] SPEAKER_07: Actually, you saved my fucking life with that.
[1:39:01] SPEAKER_07: You saved it life a couple times, I told him he was like, oh, my phone right here.
[1:39:04] SPEAKER_03: No, I'm like, no, your phone was on the ground.
[1:39:06] SPEAKER_03: Mike picked it up.
[1:39:07] SPEAKER_07: I said you saved my life a couple times.
[1:39:09] SPEAKER_07: You did save my life a couple times, the strip.
[1:39:10] SPEAKER_07: Yes, you did.
[1:39:11] SPEAKER_07: We even tried streaming with a right-hand.
[1:39:13] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I wish the stream would have worked too, because we was having fun.
[1:39:16] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[1:39:16] SPEAKER_07: Just walking around, shopping.
[1:39:18] SPEAKER_07: Um you did save my life multiple times.
[1:39:20] SPEAKER_07: You a real with Mikey?
[1:39:22] SPEAKER_04: Hey, same thing I told P.
[1:39:24] SPEAKER_04: If I don't, if nobody looks out for my brothers, then who will?
[1:39:28] SPEAKER_03: No, yeah.
[1:39:28] SPEAKER_03: Mike helped me down too.
[1:39:30] SPEAKER_03: Uh I came back to the little table.
[1:39:33] SPEAKER_03: Mike, like, man, I'm finna leave.
[1:39:35] SPEAKER_03: I got your glasses with me.
[1:39:36] SPEAKER_03: I ain't want nobody to take them.
[1:39:37] SPEAKER_05: I'm like, do you left them glasses every night?
[1:39:40] SPEAKER_05: Because I got your glasses one night.
[1:39:42] SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
[1:39:43] SPEAKER_03: As long as I left them when we could get them.
[1:39:45] SPEAKER_03: And ain't nobody on the stage telling myself with my glasses on.
[1:39:51] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, it was a it was we had a man.
[1:39:54] SPEAKER_07: We gotta find a what's the next spot y'all want to hit up?
[1:39:57] SPEAKER_07: Do y'all want to go to a regular spot or do y'all want to hit up someplace new?
[1:40:00] SPEAKER_07: Because my wife is, well, this is just me and my wife.
[1:40:02] SPEAKER_07: My wife wants to go to Toronto for our anniversary next month.
[1:40:05] SPEAKER_07: Just because she really liked Toronto the the time we went.
[1:40:07] SPEAKER_07: I'm like, okay, maybe we can do that.
[1:40:09] SPEAKER_04: It's your anniversary next month?
[1:40:10] SPEAKER_07: August, yeah.
[1:40:12] SPEAKER_07: It's my anniversary this week.
[1:40:13] SPEAKER_07: August 11th.
[1:40:16] SPEAKER_07: It's funny, so both of us will go to Toronto potentially.
[1:40:18] SPEAKER_07: Are you going to Toronto?
[1:40:19] SPEAKER_07: I told you I was probably gonna go to Toronto at the end of the month.
[1:40:21] SPEAKER_04: Hey, stop playing with him.
[1:40:23] SPEAKER_07: That's flight man.
[1:40:23] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, he always gonna move.
[1:40:24] SPEAKER_03: That's flight man.
[1:40:25] SPEAKER_03: He always is a flyer mile.
[1:40:27] SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna need some of your check.
[1:40:31] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[1:40:32] SPEAKER_07: Where would y'all want to go?
[1:40:33] SPEAKER_07: Do y'all want to go someplace new or do y'all just be like, we want to go back to Vegas, we want to go to LA, we want to go to New York, we want to go to.
[1:40:37] SPEAKER_07: I want to go golfing.
[1:40:39] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[1:40:39] SPEAKER_07: So stay local.
[1:40:40] SPEAKER_07: Or do you want to go on you want to go on a golf trip?
[1:40:42] SPEAKER_07: No, I just want to just want to go golfing.
[1:40:44] SPEAKER_00: He's talking about a trip.
[1:40:46] SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to go somewhere.
[1:40:47] SPEAKER_00: Fuck golfing.
[1:40:47] SPEAKER_00: Well, wherever we go, I would like to go golfing too.
[1:40:49] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[1:40:50] SPEAKER_07: Miami still, we've been to Miami once together.
[1:40:52] SPEAKER_03: I'm telling you right now, KB, I'm not going to Miami to golf.
[1:40:54] SPEAKER_03: I don't know what he's talking about.
[1:40:56] SPEAKER_03: I'm not going to Vegas to golf.
[1:40:57] SPEAKER_05: Oh, I'm at the time.
[1:41:01] SPEAKER_05: These hot ass places that we golf.
[1:41:02] SPEAKER_05: You go hold two, you pass it out.
[1:41:05] SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
[1:41:06] SPEAKER_05: I see you at Top Golf.
[1:41:07] SPEAKER_05: You was sweating head to fucking toe.
[1:41:09] SPEAKER_05: Yeah, all three swings.
[1:41:13] SPEAKER_07: That's another thing.
[1:41:13] SPEAKER_07: I love the team building things when we have most of the team together.
[1:41:16] SPEAKER_07: So, like a top golf when we use Vegas and so on.
[1:41:18] SPEAKER_07: Um what would be a new place for us?
[1:41:21] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I'm thinking we've all the tempo places we've been in.
[1:41:24] SPEAKER_03: The new place that we're going is probably Phoenix, Arizona for the All-Star.
[1:41:26] SPEAKER_03: That'll be a new place.
[1:41:27] SPEAKER_03: Other than that, I mean we've been to all the big cities.
[1:41:30] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, we run it back.
[1:41:31] SPEAKER_07: What is your favorite big city trip to go on?
[1:41:34] unknown: Oh man.
[1:41:34] SPEAKER_07: Vegas.
[1:41:35] SPEAKER_03: We gotta go to a Lakers game this year, Mike.
[1:41:37] SPEAKER_03: Probably, probably resetting.
[1:41:38] SPEAKER_03: That's what I would say.
[1:41:40] SPEAKER_03: So we kind of went, we kind of cycled through states and cities.
[1:41:43] SPEAKER_03: We haven't done the Miami in years.
[1:41:45] SPEAKER_03: That was like HOH the last time we was in Miami.
[1:41:48] SPEAKER_03: We j we don't we do Vegas every year.
[1:41:50] SPEAKER_03: We were just there.
[1:41:51] SPEAKER_03: We did New York.
[1:41:52] SPEAKER_03: We went to LA recently for All-Star Weekend.
[1:41:54] SPEAKER_03: Um we had yeah, Miami and like a Houston.
[1:41:59] SPEAKER_07: Houston, yeah.
[1:42:00] SPEAKER_07: I feel like we didn't really do much of Houston.
[1:42:01] SPEAKER_07: I would love to go back to Houston, experience it again.
[1:42:03] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I was gonna I was gonna point them out.
[1:42:04] SPEAKER_03: Those are probably the two spots we haven't been in like some years.
[1:42:07] SPEAKER_07: Did we really just go to Houston, do the live show, and come home?
[1:42:09] SPEAKER_03: No, we try to be flexible.
[1:42:11] SPEAKER_07: Oh, we sure.
[1:42:12] SPEAKER_07: Oh my god, no.
[1:42:13] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, that's all again.
[1:42:15] SPEAKER_04: He's talking about when Buddy was getting loud with the bounces?
[1:42:17] SPEAKER_04: Yes.
[1:42:18] SPEAKER_03: Also, that club Drake shouted out on the album.
[1:42:20] SPEAKER_03: So that's like one of his spots.
[1:42:22] SPEAKER_03: So I'm I mean chills was there.
[1:42:24] SPEAKER_00: That's also why I was also kind of cool.
[1:42:25] SPEAKER_00: You've seen cool.
[1:42:26] SPEAKER_00: Well, no, he was on the headline.
[1:42:28] SPEAKER_07: He was on that place was busting.
[1:42:30] SPEAKER_07: That place was crazy.
[1:42:31] SPEAKER_07: We sat there for like an hour and just like, let's go.
[1:42:33] SPEAKER_07: We were just chilling.
[1:42:33] SPEAKER_07: Let's go, let's go get will we get Whataburger?
[1:42:35] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[1:42:35] SPEAKER_07: That's what we're doing.
[1:42:38] SPEAKER_07: Um yeah, all of our trips having work trips, which is I think it's it's cool, but I would love to have this like a guy's trip, but there's no work.
[1:42:45] SPEAKER_07: It's just us.
[1:42:46] SPEAKER_03: And we've been talking about this for years.
[1:42:47] SPEAKER_03: Years, yeah.
[1:42:47] SPEAKER_07: And then we never we actually never gonna do it guys.
[1:42:49] SPEAKER_07: We never do it.
[1:42:50] SPEAKER_07: This is always gonna be like on company.
[1:42:52] SPEAKER_03: Which is like five.
[1:42:53] SPEAKER_03: I wouldn't mind doing no guys' trip.
[1:42:55] SPEAKER_03: I think it's an efficient way we can, you know, get in, get out, not take up too much time.
[1:43:00] SPEAKER_03: As long as everybody, you know, can get approved to go.
[1:43:03] SPEAKER_03: And, you know, maybe we can even attach some of the other guys.
[1:43:05] SPEAKER_03: We've talked about that as well.
[1:43:07] SPEAKER_03: My boy Terrence said, I'll make time in a group chat the other day.
[1:43:11] SPEAKER_03: My boy Terrence trying to hang out with the boys.
[1:43:13] SPEAKER_03: I feel him.
[1:43:14] SPEAKER_04: How y'all feel about what I said about that Zoom stuff?
[1:43:17] SPEAKER_04: I have no idea what you're talking about.
[1:43:18] SPEAKER_03: Once a week was crazy.
[1:43:20] SPEAKER_04: I say once a year around this time, we should have a Zoom week where we do the pod on Zoom.
[1:43:26] SPEAKER_04: That case in case for anybody that does travel, they have the opportunity.
[1:43:31] SPEAKER_04: It's just easy to call in.
[1:43:32] SPEAKER_04: You remember how you called in when you was out of town or something?
[1:43:35] SPEAKER_04: It would just be like a zoom week.
[1:43:36] SPEAKER_04: When did you suggest this?
[1:43:37] SPEAKER_04: Yes, yesterday.
[1:43:38] SPEAKER_04: No.
[1:43:39] SPEAKER_04: Maybe I was not looking at my phone or well, you know, you was on that phone.
[1:43:45] SPEAKER_06: Nope.
[1:43:46] SPEAKER_06: The other phone.
[1:43:48] SPEAKER_06: I got two phones.
[1:43:49] SPEAKER_06: Like Kevin Gates.
[1:43:50] SPEAKER_06: Like Kevin Gates, maybe.
[1:43:51] SPEAKER_06: Um we've never been in New Orleans.
[1:43:53] SPEAKER_06: We've never been to New Orleans.
[1:43:54] SPEAKER_06: I heard it's good.
[1:43:56] SPEAKER_07: Good vibes down there.
[1:43:57] SPEAKER_07: Good eating.
[1:43:59] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[1:44:00] SPEAKER_07: I do, I know, I do want to go to every NBA city at least once.
[1:44:03] SPEAKER_07: And I think we got most of them.
[1:44:05] SPEAKER_07: I've never been to Boston.
[1:44:06] SPEAKER_07: Never.
[1:44:07] SPEAKER_07: I've never been to Orlando.
[1:44:09] SPEAKER_07: Never.
[1:44:10] SPEAKER_07: I've never been to like Louisiana, you know, or New Orleans, I guess.
[1:44:14] SPEAKER_00: Tennessee.
[1:44:15] SPEAKER_07: Never been to Memphis, yeah.
[1:44:16] SPEAKER_07: I've been to Memphis.
[1:44:17] SPEAKER_00: Uh I've been to Minnesota.
[1:44:18] SPEAKER_00: You've been to Milwaukee, right?
[1:44:19] SPEAKER_00: I've been to Milwaukee.
[1:44:20] SPEAKER_00: I was younger.
[1:44:20] SPEAKER_00: I've never gone there for basketball.
[1:44:22] SPEAKER_07: I cannot think about it.
[1:44:22] SPEAKER_07: I probably got like half the half the cities, not most of the cities.
[1:44:25] SPEAKER_04: I think the one that would be most, not most difficult.
[1:44:28] SPEAKER_04: But I feel like when you think about NBA cities, when you think about like a couple years, if you would have said like Utah, it would be like, oh, Utah, cool.
[1:44:37] SPEAKER_04: Utah was actually pretty busy.
[1:44:38] SPEAKER_03: Getting Utah and Denver out the way.
[1:44:40] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we got we got Indiana out the way.
[1:44:42] SPEAKER_04: I've never been to Milwaukee.
[1:44:44] SPEAKER_04: Um, I think just because geographically where the hell it's at, Portland is just a little weird.
[1:44:49] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Portland's the longest trip, right?
[1:44:51] SPEAKER_04: I think so.
[1:44:53] SPEAKER_04: But I feel like we hit most of the cities that's like are the ones that would be on the fence.
[1:44:59] SPEAKER_04: Other these, other than that, like we can go to an Orlando game.
[1:45:02] SPEAKER_07: Like I never thought I'd be in Cleveland.
[1:45:04] SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
[1:45:04] SPEAKER_07: But we were in Cleveland and we had a good time.
[1:45:07] SPEAKER_00: We had a voice.
[1:45:08] SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess some of these small cities might not fit.
[1:45:10] SPEAKER_00: Some of these small cities might not fit the criteria no more.
[1:45:12] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, so we would have to go on our own thing or like have a shoot when we doing something with the team or something.
[1:45:18] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Adam Silver tweeted that out from the seat of his Uber, stuck in the Indiana traffic.
[1:45:22] SPEAKER_03: That's what y'all might have to do.
[1:45:23] SPEAKER_03: Y'all might have to come to one of the access granite shoots.
[1:45:26] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:45:26] SPEAKER_03: Like if it's in like a main, you know what I mean?
[1:45:30] SPEAKER_07: I'm gonna try to find a way for us to get like a meeting in a different I'm gonna hit the group, the the representation.
[1:45:37] SPEAKER_07: Like, hey, me and the guys wondering if there's any meetings in New York coming up soon, or any meetings in Idaho.
[1:45:46] SPEAKER_00: That's not a bad thing.
[1:45:47] SPEAKER_04: Shout out to my boy Shaq.
[1:45:49] SPEAKER_04: I'm pretty pretty sure he lives in Idaho.
[1:45:51] SPEAKER_04: Oh Shaq?
[1:45:52] SPEAKER_04: Shaq.
[1:45:53] SPEAKER_04: Not Shrek.
[1:45:54] SPEAKER_04: Shaq.
[1:45:55] SPEAKER_07: I know who you're talking about.
[1:45:55] SPEAKER_07: I just didn't know he was an Idaho guy.
[1:45:57] SPEAKER_04: Well, every time he talks to me about the live show, he said, man, if you were just in the bum fuck nowhere where the potatoes be, then you know I'll be at the live show.
[1:46:06] SPEAKER_00: Shout out to him.
[1:46:06] SPEAKER_00: I love how every state kind of had their own thing.
[1:46:09] SPEAKER_00: That's because like some areas are swamps.
[1:46:12] SPEAKER_00: Yep.
[1:46:12] SPEAKER_00: Some places it's uh out here is cornfields.
[1:46:15] SPEAKER_07: Dude, I took that drive from Vegas to LA.
[1:46:18] SPEAKER_07: Were there any street lights?
[1:46:19] SPEAKER_07: No, it was dark as shit.
[1:46:20] SPEAKER_07: But before it got dark, I was amazed at the scenery.
[1:46:23] SPEAKER_07: Like the mountains?
[1:46:24] SPEAKER_07: Like leaving Vegas to go to Cali.
[1:46:25] SPEAKER_07: The mountains were beautiful.
[1:46:26] SPEAKER_07: You just don't see mountains.
[1:46:27] SPEAKER_07: Like we don't live in a place where you see mountains.
[1:46:29] SPEAKER_04: So if you turned your lights off, then we wouldn't see shit.
[1:46:31] SPEAKER_04: We wouldn't see shit, Mike.
[1:46:32] SPEAKER_04: And it was nobody on the road.
[1:46:34] SPEAKER_04: Bro, imagine your fucking car breakdown.
[1:46:36] SPEAKER_07: I swear to God, I thought about that multiple times on this trip.
[1:46:38] SPEAKER_07: Like I'm in a like I'm in a rental.
[1:46:40] SPEAKER_07: Like, what do I do?
[1:46:41] SPEAKER_07: What do I eat?
[1:46:41] SPEAKER_07: You dropped the stopped for gas.
[1:46:42] SPEAKER_07: I stopped for gas once, and it was the most eerie gas station ever.
[1:46:46] SPEAKER_04: You see the blackening, right?
[1:46:48] SPEAKER_04: I remember you just watched it.
[1:46:50] SPEAKER_04: You remember how she stopped in that gas station?
[1:46:51] SPEAKER_07: She was like, I see Mr.
[1:46:53] SPEAKER_07: Duh.
[1:46:53] SPEAKER_07: Dude, this gas station smelled like straight piss.
[1:46:57] SPEAKER_07: Like I walked in and it smelled like piss.
[1:47:00] SPEAKER_07: And then the worker was mopping the floor.
[1:47:02] SPEAKER_07: So I truly do wonder if somebody pissed on the floor.
[1:47:05] SPEAKER_03: They're mopping the floor with a piss.
[1:47:08] SPEAKER_03: That's great.
[1:47:08] SPEAKER_03: What's the gas station?
[1:47:09] SPEAKER_03: What's the gas station called?
[1:47:11] SPEAKER_07: I don't remember.
[1:47:12] SPEAKER_07: Something had numbed 70, something 75.
[1:47:14] SPEAKER_07: Route 76, yep.
[1:47:16] SPEAKER_07: But it was weird because across from it was a um a trailer park, and there was a dog sitting at the entrance of the trailer park.
[1:47:22] SPEAKER_07: No fence, no nothing.
[1:47:24] SPEAKER_07: He was just sitting at the entrance, just barking, and there was a family playing soccer.
[1:47:27] SPEAKER_07: Mind you, it's 11:30 at night.
[1:47:29] SPEAKER_07: They're playing soccer in the parking lot of this weird, no-light um gas station.
[1:47:35] SPEAKER_07: And then they're here and the dog is right here across the street just barking.
[1:47:38] SPEAKER_07: I'm like, I don't know.
[1:47:40] SPEAKER_07: If I see a dog with no collar barking, I'm not barking.
[1:47:42] SPEAKER_07: It ain't like no chihuahua.
[1:47:44] SPEAKER_07: It's like a normal-sized dog.
[1:47:45] SPEAKER_07: I'm just not getting out of my car to play soccer.
[1:47:46] SPEAKER_07: And these, it's like four little kids and their dad.
[1:47:49] SPEAKER_07: Like, where are they on their way to?
[1:47:50] SPEAKER_07: But you ever think why is it smelling like piss in here?
[1:47:53] SPEAKER_04: That's somebody.
[1:47:53] SPEAKER_03: They just watched, they just watched the World Cup.
[1:47:55] SPEAKER_03: Me and my girl talk about that all the time.
[1:47:57] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you're right.
[1:47:58] SPEAKER_03: When you're driving through shit, and it's like that, that's somebody.
[1:48:00] SPEAKER_03: Somebody lives.
[1:48:01] SPEAKER_04: Like they probably go to that gas station that smells like piss and that's like they get they went in.
[1:48:05] SPEAKER_04: They daily snacks or some shit.
[1:48:06] SPEAKER_07: I went, I I walked, I didn't even buy any.
[1:48:08] SPEAKER_07: I didn't feel comfortable buying anything.
[1:48:09] SPEAKER_07: That's somebody like that.
[1:48:10] SPEAKER_03: That's how I feel when we go to Star Rock, Utica.
[1:48:12] SPEAKER_03: Like that's somebody's life.
[1:48:14] SPEAKER_03: Where like it's a it's like a McDonald's, and that's like that's the thing.
[1:48:19] SPEAKER_03: That's their thing.
[1:48:20] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[1:48:20] SPEAKER_03: Um, I did use the ATM.
[1:48:23] SPEAKER_03: I used the ATM.
[1:48:25] SPEAKER_03: What they taxed you?
[1:48:26] SPEAKER_07: Uh$2.99.
[1:48:27] SPEAKER_00: That ain't bad.
[1:48:28] SPEAKER_03: That's not bad at all.
[1:48:29] SPEAKER_03: Because the club, the casinos, they talking about$11.
[1:48:32] SPEAKER_00: I was telling KB that the dispensary to move.
[1:48:35] SPEAKER_07: Yes.
[1:48:35] SPEAKER_00: Because it's only like$2.
[1:48:37] SPEAKER_07: Also, the hotel I was at was a move too.
[1:48:38] SPEAKER_07: They was$3.99.
[1:48:40] SPEAKER_04: Wait, did you say how the gas was$299?
[1:48:43] SPEAKER_07: No, the tax on the ATM.
[1:48:44] SPEAKER_07: The gas was four something.
[1:48:46] SPEAKER_07: Oh.
[1:48:47] SPEAKER_04: I did want to know how much the gas was.
[1:48:48] SPEAKER_04: They they was taxing out there too.
[1:48:50] SPEAKER_07: Because my the amount I had in my tank, so let's say I had, I'm gonna make these numbers up.
[1:48:53] SPEAKER_07: I had 300 miles to get to LA.
[1:48:55] SPEAKER_07: My car said at 310 miles in fuel.
[1:48:59] SPEAKER_07: I was like, that's too close.
[1:49:00] SPEAKER_07: I gotta get some more.
[1:49:01] SPEAKER_07: So I just I just filled it right back.
[1:49:02] SPEAKER_07: You can't make no pissed off of nothing.
[1:49:04] SPEAKER_07: At all.
[1:49:04] SPEAKER_07: Um and it worked it worked out.
[1:49:07] SPEAKER_07: I I I actually do really enjoy long drives though, even though it can't get boring halfway through.
[1:49:12] SPEAKER_04: Whoa.
[1:49:12] SPEAKER_04: At least it's it's so different because you control everything versus nothing on the plane.
[1:49:19] SPEAKER_00: You've taken the most long drives here.
[1:49:21] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:49:21] SPEAKER_00: You drove from New York to here.
[1:49:23] SPEAKER_07: I drove from here to Detroit and back.
[1:49:25] SPEAKER_07: That shit went by choice, though.
[1:49:27] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was a New York.
[1:49:28] SPEAKER_07: Well, no, that was a choice.
[1:49:29] SPEAKER_07: I could have stayed in New York an extra day, but I was like, no, I'd rather just drive home.
[1:49:33] SPEAKER_00: That New York to here would drive sound.
[1:49:35] SPEAKER_07: I would do I would do Vegas to Cali drive again.
[1:49:37] SPEAKER_00: Wasn't that 18 hours?
[1:49:39] SPEAKER_07: It was like 12.
[1:49:41] SPEAKER_03: You got me wanting to do, depending on how All Star Weekend looks, you got me wanted to do A Z to Vegas.
[1:49:48] SPEAKER_03: Why not?
[1:49:49] SPEAKER_03: I'll I would do it with you.
[1:49:50] SPEAKER_03: You got me wanted to do No, you got me wanted to sit in the back seat.
[1:49:52] SPEAKER_03: Oh, I like me driving.
[1:49:54] SPEAKER_07: Hey, I was kind of vibing the whole time there.
[1:49:56] SPEAKER_07: What you was listening to?
[1:49:57] SPEAKER_07: I just I ain't gonna lie, DJ X been kind of fucking.
[1:50:00] SPEAKER_07: Killing it, bro.
[1:50:00] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[1:50:03] SPEAKER_04: This is a real one right here.
[1:50:05] SPEAKER_04: But we need like a month, though.
[1:50:06] SPEAKER_03: I'm sure are you?
[1:50:08] SPEAKER_03: Because Mike, your ass be the one that we worry about when we plan to do this type of stuff.
[1:50:12] SPEAKER_04: I'm definitely not doing this, but it sounds like a cool idea.
[1:50:15] SPEAKER_04: Y'all gonna get an idea and y'all be like, yeah, I'm neither.
[1:50:17] SPEAKER_04: We road trip to Las Vegas and we stop at a city every time, like every night on the way there.
[1:50:23] SPEAKER_04: You wouldn't do it.
[1:50:24] SPEAKER_04: So far.
[1:50:24] SPEAKER_07: I'm trying to figure out what cities are on the way to Vegas.
[1:50:27] SPEAKER_07: Hey, Kansas.
[1:50:28] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, right.
[1:50:29] SPEAKER_04: Hey shit.
[1:50:30] SPEAKER_04: I heard Portland got some stuff and you know.
[1:50:33] SPEAKER_04: What the hell?
[1:50:33] SPEAKER_04: You know Portland?
[1:50:35] SPEAKER_04: But that's that's that's not what I'm talking about.
[1:50:37] SPEAKER_04: Portland is a random ass spot, but they got the shit.
[1:50:40] SPEAKER_04: But we're not gonna stop there.
[1:50:42] SPEAKER_04: He just I'm just calling it.
[1:50:44] SPEAKER_07: It could be so let's see.
[1:50:45] SPEAKER_07: Here are the major cities.
[1:50:46] SPEAKER_07: It's gonna be Oklahoma, Des Moines, Iowa.
[1:50:49] SPEAKER_05: Shit might have that shit.
[1:50:51] SPEAKER_05: Omaha, Nebraska.
[1:50:52] SPEAKER_05: Shit might have that shit.
[1:50:53] SPEAKER_03: Did we go through Denver?
[1:50:54] SPEAKER_03: These sound like places we have to be some 30-year-olds on college campus.
[1:51:00] SPEAKER_07: There's another, you can go the opposite direction, though, and you can go through St.
[1:51:03] SPEAKER_07: Louis, Tulsa, Albuquerque, Flagstaff.
[1:51:08] SPEAKER_07: That shit sounds awful, Mike.
[1:51:10] SPEAKER_07: I'm sorry.
[1:51:11] SPEAKER_07: It's the idea, man.
[1:51:12] SPEAKER_07: And it was one day off-road.
[1:51:14] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, because sometimes I looked up the how far would it be before I got on my flight, just like if it was a drive.
[1:51:20] SPEAKER_04: She said it was a 24-hour drive back home.
[1:51:23] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:51:24] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:51:24] SPEAKER_00: That's just too much fucking.
[1:51:26] SPEAKER_00: And that's just straight.
[1:51:27] SPEAKER_00: That means no nap, no nun.
[1:51:28] SPEAKER_00: And flying is a few years.
[1:51:29] SPEAKER_04: That's why we take a stop.
[1:51:30] SPEAKER_04: That's why we're stopping at some of these cities.
[1:51:32] SPEAKER_00: So it's not really 24 hours.
[1:51:33] SPEAKER_00: It's more so it's gonna be like three days.
[1:51:34] SPEAKER_04: You make one in a week.
[1:51:35] SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's why I said we're gonna need some time.
[1:51:37] SPEAKER_07: And then you actually gotta stay in Vegas for a couple days.
[1:51:39] SPEAKER_07: And then are we flying back?
[1:51:40] SPEAKER_07: Are we driving a different route?
[1:51:42] SPEAKER_04: Be flying that shit back.
[1:51:43] SPEAKER_04: Okay.
[1:51:44] SPEAKER_07: But what if it's a spot so good?
[1:51:45] SPEAKER_04: You be like, man, we got to drive, but back to Iowa.
[1:51:48] SPEAKER_05: See, we might as well just stay here instead of going to Vegas.
[1:51:51] SPEAKER_03: If I were like that, I might set up shop.
[1:51:56] SPEAKER_03: So man, I I seriously like would love to open up my own little night spot.
[1:52:02] SPEAKER_03: That's what I do.
[1:52:03] SPEAKER_07: Mike been saying it for years.
[1:52:04] SPEAKER_03: I laugh, I laughed at him when I opened a lounge.
[1:52:06] SPEAKER_03: No, I don't want my shit to be a lounge.
[1:52:08] SPEAKER_07: Find your shit in uh Naperville, Illinois.
[1:52:11] SPEAKER_07: What you gonna do with a with a little spot in Naperville?
[1:52:15] SPEAKER_07: Nothing.
[1:52:16] SPEAKER_03: Open up my own spearmint rhino.
[1:52:19] SPEAKER_07: It is a chain.
[1:52:22] SPEAKER_07: You can get a chain.
[1:52:24] SPEAKER_07: What is it called?
[1:52:24] SPEAKER_03: A franchise.
[1:52:26] SPEAKER_03: You can franchise it.
[1:52:27] SPEAKER_03: I gotta get out of town.
[1:52:31] SPEAKER_03: Be the number one.
[1:52:32] SPEAKER_03: But I had to do my shit in Vegas or some, I don't know.
[1:52:36] SPEAKER_03: All these laws.
[1:52:37] SPEAKER_03: We go state to state.
[1:52:38] SPEAKER_03: Everybody got different laws.
[1:52:41] SPEAKER_03: Exhausting.
[1:52:43] SPEAKER_07: Okay.
[1:52:44] SPEAKER_07: Another great episode of Numbers on the Board.
[1:52:46] SPEAKER_07: Like I mentioned earlier, we will be having that live show to you later within the week.
[1:52:51] SPEAKER_07: Um, appreciate everybody that showed us love.
[1:52:53] SPEAKER_07: We also got some enjoy basketball stuff dropping.
[1:52:56] SPEAKER_07: Pierre just had an access granted, which we should have promoted at the top of the show.
[1:52:58] SPEAKER_07: We're gonna do it now.
[1:52:59] SPEAKER_07: He had access granted for the NBA draft where he followed Keen Waggler through the entire process before the draft, during the draft, after the draft.
[1:53:07] SPEAKER_07: Great, amazing video.
[1:53:08] SPEAKER_07: The turnout was amazing.
[1:53:09] SPEAKER_07: See, they still text it now.
[1:53:10] SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
[1:53:11] SPEAKER_07: That's that's that's that's our guy.
[1:53:12] SPEAKER_00: He was talking about how great the camera quality was.
[1:53:14] SPEAKER_00: I was like, yeah, they they did their thing on that.
[1:53:16] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[1:53:18] SPEAKER_07: Um, yeah, show some love on that video.
[1:53:21] SPEAKER_07: Leave a comment, leave a like, because the more love y'all show to access granted, the more access we get, believe it or not.
[1:53:27] SPEAKER_07: Um and Pierre's been killing it as a host on that one.
[1:53:30] SPEAKER_07: So uh go show us some love.
[1:53:31] SPEAKER_07: We will be back again.
[1:53:34] SPEAKER_07: I don't want to get no prompts soon.
[1:53:36] SPEAKER_07: We love y'all.
[1:53:36] SPEAKER_07: We see y'all then.
[1:53:37] SPEAKER_07: Peace.
