[0:08] SPEAKER_03: Welcome back to Numbers on the Board.
[0:10] SPEAKER_03: Numbers on the Board yes! We here on what day, Mike?
[0:14] SPEAKER_03: Fry Yay.
[0:15] SPEAKER_03: What day is it?
[0:15] SPEAKER_03: The best day of the week.
[0:17] SPEAKER_03: Fry to the yay.
[0:18] SPEAKER_03: Why is it the best day of the week?
[0:20] SPEAKER_03: Because your schedule is different than normal America schedule.
[0:22] SPEAKER_03: You still got work tomorrow on a Saturday.
[0:24] SPEAKER_03: But yeah, that's that's work, but that's not work.
[0:27] SPEAKER_01: He also differed from the regular because he loves his job.
[0:31] SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
[0:31] SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
[0:32] SPEAKER_01: There's only one person up here who don't love his job or his co-workers and would not want to be here right now or tomorrow.
[0:38] SPEAKER_01: Who would that be?
[0:39] SPEAKER_01: Derek.
[0:40] SPEAKER_01: Derek does not like us.
[0:41] SPEAKER_01: He is anti-us.
[0:43] SPEAKER_01: Like we wearing blue and white, all black.
[0:46] SPEAKER_01: You know what I'm saying?
[0:48] SPEAKER_01: We all come in here smiling.
[0:50] SPEAKER_01: Ugh.
[0:51] SPEAKER_01: We come in here, uh, he's smiling.
[0:54] SPEAKER_01: Whatever's the left, right, you know what I mean?
[0:57] SPEAKER_01: We was all staying on the right side of the hotel in San Antonio.
[1:00] SPEAKER_01: He was on the left side, he told me.
[1:02] SPEAKER_01: He was going all the way down to the Did any of y'all go all the way down to a separate elevator?
[1:06] SPEAKER_01: No.
[1:06] SPEAKER_00: He wasn't even know there was a separate elevator.
[1:09] SPEAKER_00: He was.
[1:09] SPEAKER_00: Wasn't you?
[1:10] SPEAKER_00: Because it came out right by my room.
[1:13] SPEAKER_03: How do you feel about those words, Derek?
[1:16] SPEAKER_00: I feel very, you know, offended, but I'm gonna let him have his everybody's entitled to their own opinion.
[1:22] unknown: Mike.
[1:22] SPEAKER_00: So at the end of the day.
[1:23] SPEAKER_01: You asked him, you Mike came in here and talked to all of us the same way.
[1:27] SPEAKER_01: I came in, Mike said, hey, P, it's a game.
[1:29] SPEAKER_01: Uh I want you to download it, bro.
[1:31] SPEAKER_01: We can all play together.
[1:32] SPEAKER_01: It's only like$10 on Steam.
[1:34] SPEAKER_01: I'm like, hey man, you ain't gotta do me no convincing.
[1:36] SPEAKER_01: If we all can play together, because we haven't played a game in a minute together, say less.
[1:40] SPEAKER_01: He comes in, he tells Derek the same spiel.
[1:43] SPEAKER_01: Derek immediately, before Mike can even tell him what the game is.
[1:46] SPEAKER_01: Nah, I don't know, man.
[1:48] SPEAKER_01: I gotta see.
[1:49] SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
[1:49] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[1:50] SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's okay.
[1:51] SPEAKER_01: Like, we playing later.
[1:53] SPEAKER_01: Oh, me and Angie might be going out.
[1:55] SPEAKER_01: Y'all going out.
[1:57] SPEAKER_01: For seven hours tonight.
[1:59] SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
[2:00] SPEAKER_01: I mean, it was when the baby gets picked up.
[2:02] SPEAKER_00: I didn't want to get his hopes up, but I don't feel like playing the game.
[2:06] SPEAKER_02: You don't feel like it or you can't?
[2:08] SPEAKER_00: I just don't feel like it.
[2:11] SPEAKER_02: You're not hurting nobody feeling.
[2:13] SPEAKER_00: I know.
[2:13] SPEAKER_00: I played the game yesterday.
[2:14] SPEAKER_01: So he's proof of my point.
[2:17] SPEAKER_01: He said he was a point.
[2:18] SPEAKER_01: If he felt like playing the game yesterday, he's gonna feel like playing the game tomorrow.
[2:21] SPEAKER_01: But if it feels like playing the game with us, he's gonna lose interest.
[2:25] SPEAKER_02: I was genuinely thinking that just he had stuff to do, but if he just says he doesn't feel like it, that's that's cool.
[2:30] SPEAKER_00: Y'all never just have moments where you don't feel like playing.
[2:33] SPEAKER_02: I do too, but I mean I'd probably just say I don't feel like it.
[2:37] SPEAKER_00: That's why I just can't predetermine if I'm gonna feel like playing the game.
[2:41] SPEAKER_00: I don't want to let you down and be like, yeah, yeah, I got you.
[2:43] SPEAKER_00: You gotta know your mood of if you're rocking with us or not.
[2:46] SPEAKER_01: No, it's if I don't feel like playing games.
[2:47] SPEAKER_02: But I'm telling you, it's a fun game, and we all gonna be able to play it.
[2:50] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, you're gonna stream it.
[2:52] SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
[2:52] SPEAKER_03: Tune into Mike's stream today.
[2:53] SPEAKER_03: I'll be playing.
[2:54] SPEAKER_03: I ain't got nothing else to do.
[2:55] SPEAKER_01: I really don't be, I haven't been feeling like playing a game as of late, but if I'm playing like 2K, I wouldn't be playing it if I wasn't playing on my homie Mike.
[3:02] SPEAKER_01: We're on the same team.
[3:03] SPEAKER_01: That's the only time I'm playing together.
[3:05] SPEAKER_03: As y'all know, the New York Knicks are up 3-1 in the NBA Finals.
[3:08] SPEAKER_03: As y'all know, Deer Fox was the biggest talking point over the last couple days.
[3:13] SPEAKER_03: So much so.
[3:14] SPEAKER_03: The people on the internet are talking about trades.
[3:18] SPEAKER_03: If you are the San Antonio Spurs and you lose in five to the New York Knicks, what does the offseason look like to y'all?
[3:26] SPEAKER_01: Like, what would you do?
[3:27] SPEAKER_01: First thing I want to say is it's so funny to me how the NBA like I don't even know the word to use.
[3:35] SPEAKER_01: Um don't do that ever again.
[3:36] SPEAKER_01: Don't put the camera on mic when I'm talking.
[3:39] SPEAKER_01: Um the NBA, I guess chatter or the internet part of the NBA.
[3:46] SPEAKER_01: It's almost like the stock market or cryptocurrency.
[3:50] SPEAKER_01: It's so volatile.
[3:51] SPEAKER_01: Like, they lost.
[3:54] SPEAKER_01: This is a team that was like, oh my gosh, they're taking over the NBA.
[3:57] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and now it's like De'Aaron Fox did that play, and it's like, yeah, you gotta trade him.
[4:02] SPEAKER_01: You gotta trade him.
[4:03] SPEAKER_01: You gotta trade.
[4:04] SPEAKER_01: He made some big shots too.
[4:05] SPEAKER_01: Like, I remember on that run, he was one of the guys that hit one of those two threes, I think they made in the fourth.
[4:10] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[4:10] SPEAKER_01: Um, and if they won, he would have probably got a lot of credit for being a guy that that made some plays to hold off the Knicks.
[4:16] SPEAKER_01: But nah, it's like he traded.
[4:19] SPEAKER_01: What were the trades, though?
[4:20] SPEAKER_03: I think I think it's obviously the big catalyst is this play, but also thinking about Dylan Harper, he has to start the next season.
[4:27] SPEAKER_03: So I think it's a little bit more than just that singular play.
[4:29] SPEAKER_03: But it I guess it wasn't necessarily people drawing up trades.
[4:32] SPEAKER_03: It was more like which teams would be interested.
[4:35] SPEAKER_03: Because his contract doesn't start, that extension he hit doesn't start until next season, and then it's for the next four years.
[4:41] SPEAKER_03: So it's like what team, I don't use the word desperate, because even even when De'Aaron Fox is not looking amazing in this postseason, he still is a really good player, and I think we can all agree he don't look like he's playing 100% regardless.
[4:51] SPEAKER_03: But it's like if there are teams that use need point guard play, I would pick up that phone.
[4:55] SPEAKER_02: There's a there's a team that's looking at John Morant, and if they strike out on him, which is the Miami Heat, I think they could also be looking at De'Aaron Fox.
[5:03] SPEAKER_02: It's just a I think they're one of those franchises where they can definitely turn around guys, like they've been defin able to rejuvenate people and get the better sides of them.
[5:12] SPEAKER_02: I could see them going that route.
[5:14] SPEAKER_02: I don't know what they would the Spurs would want though.
[5:17] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[5:17] SPEAKER_01: I've seen Houston, where people use the theory of like Freya Van Vleek could be a really good, steady, mentor-esque type of guy, while Dylan Harper soars up to take the reins.
[5:32] SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know what I also will say, we were talking to um Chris Haynes and he talked about this a bit, where like you have big fish every offseason, and until they move, some guys are kind of in limbo.
[5:44] SPEAKER_01: I can see De'Aaron Fox being a guy that like we have to get that first wave of moves, and then like if Giannis goes to the heat and there's some leftover stuff to go get a De'Aaron Fox, or I think he would be one of those guys that some things would have to happen.
[5:58] SPEAKER_01: Because, you know, once once that first trade or those first moves happen, a team that we're not even thinking about or pops up and it's like, oh man, you know, they they need a guard now, or they are, you know, De'Aaron Fox piece away.
[6:09] SPEAKER_01: I mean, Minnesota has always been linked up.
[6:11] SPEAKER_01: I don't think that would be a terrible backward.
[6:13] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
[6:13] SPEAKER_03: I mean, it I think it also boils down to what the Spurs will be trying to get back.
[6:18] SPEAKER_03: Is it strictly just getting off the money of De'Aaron Fox?
[6:21] SPEAKER_03: Because if that's the case, then I think we can make something happen pretty easily.
[6:24] SPEAKER_03: But also, I think the Spurs would look at themselves and say, hey, really good team here in the finals, couple possessions away from being up in the finals, but we also need to add so-and-so type of pieces.
[6:34] SPEAKER_03: And I just don't know what teams will have those so-and-so type of pieces.
[6:37] SPEAKER_03: Like one that came up a lot on Twitter yesterday was the Brooklyn Nets, right?
[6:41] SPEAKER_03: As they are a team that their their owner has said publicly they're not trying to tank next season.
[6:46] SPEAKER_03: It's like does MPJ help the Spurs next season on the last year for MPJ.
[6:53] SPEAKER_03: It helps them win some more games, I guess, but like I think it's like a tandem thing, right?
[6:59] SPEAKER_03: Like you, you if De'Aaron Fox is really cheap, you go acquire De'Aaron Fox, and then the rumor of Austin Reeves being a$180 million man there.
[7:07] SPEAKER_01: Now you got a backcourt.
[7:08] SPEAKER_01: I'd rather keep MPJ.
[7:09] SPEAKER_01: Okay.
[7:10] SPEAKER_01: For the simple fact that I have the sixth pick, so I'm probably taking a guard.
[7:13] SPEAKER_01: That's that the the nets are in that window where I I I almost can guarantee that they're taking a guard.
[7:20] SPEAKER_01: Because from what, from five to nine, five to ten, that is guard-centric.
[7:25] SPEAKER_01: And the only team, even when you look at any mocks, not to say that mox is the for sure thing that's happening, but even when you look at mox, whether it's this site, that site, this site, the only team that they may not have take a guard is the Hawks with uh a Daimara.
[7:39] SPEAKER_01: But everybody else is some sort of Flemings, Acuff, uh Brown, who am I for uh Waggler, like Waggler, is some type of order of those guards.
[7:50] SPEAKER_01: Um unless they trading back with OKC or something that I don't know about, I think you're taking a guard and you already took a few guards last year.
[7:58] SPEAKER_01: Not that that should stop you, because I do think De'Aaron Fox is a lot better than people have kind of made him out to be because of the play, and because he's kind of been hobbled.
[8:06] SPEAKER_01: And I I think he still has delivered some really good moments.
[8:09] SPEAKER_03: I mean, game three, he hits a game winner in the room.
[8:12] SPEAKER_03: Um what about Phoenix?
[8:13] SPEAKER_03: I love Phoenix.
[8:14] SPEAKER_03: They're always a by-low type of team.
[8:16] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I love Phoenix.
[8:17] SPEAKER_03: They got some interesting place pieces to give to the Spurs.
[8:20] SPEAKER_03: What pieces would you like the most?
[8:21] SPEAKER_03: If I'm the Spurs, yeah.
[8:24] SPEAKER_03: I I would want Grayson Allen on my on my team.
[8:26] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like 40 plus percent three-point shooter.
[8:28] SPEAKER_03: Still a gritty defender.
[8:30] SPEAKER_03: Can be dirty in the right ways if you need him to.
[8:32] SPEAKER_00: He definitely fits along with that group very well.
[8:35] SPEAKER_03: Um, but obviously that's not the just the money that they would need more, but that that's the top.
[8:38] SPEAKER_01: A Royce O'Neill type guy, I think, fits really good.
[8:41] SPEAKER_01: Like, you just get a Spurs, you just keep loading up on those type of guys.
[8:45] SPEAKER_01: Um, I think you you're gonna be real good.
[8:47] SPEAKER_01: So many open shots are just there for catch and shoot guys and guys that can defend are always at a premium.
[8:55] SPEAKER_01: But yeah.
[8:56] SPEAKER_03: Gotta bring up Toronto.
[8:58] SPEAKER_03: I thought it, why gotta?
[8:59] SPEAKER_03: Because some of their fans is like, if he's that cheap, we think about it.
[9:03] SPEAKER_01: Okay.
[9:04] SPEAKER_01: But what the hell you doing with quickly?
[9:05] SPEAKER_01: Because the Spurs ain't.
[9:06] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and the Spurs won't be interested in a quickly.
[9:08] SPEAKER_03: It's more like a RJ Barrett and stuff type of thing.
[9:11] SPEAKER_03: Um, but he would be an upgrade.
[9:12] SPEAKER_03: Deion Fox will be over a quickly and now his.
[9:15] SPEAKER_01: No, it's not that he's an upgrade, but it's like they both on that team.
[9:17] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I guess so.
[9:18] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[9:19] SPEAKER_03: Quickly might suit better as a six-man in this league, anyway.
[9:22] SPEAKER_01: No, I agree, but$30 million, six man, we ain't doing.
[9:26] SPEAKER_01: They gonna have three bad contracts.
[9:27] SPEAKER_03: What's the third?
[9:29] SPEAKER_01: Yakka Purdle.
[9:30] SPEAKER_00: Oh, I forgot.
[9:31] SPEAKER_03: I talked about Do you think the Deion Fox contract is just already considered bad?
[9:35] SPEAKER_00: Nah, I think it's just$50 million at the start of it.
[9:39] SPEAKER_00: Is it$50?
[9:40] SPEAKER_00: I know at the end of it, it turns out.
[9:40] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I didn't know it was$50.
[9:42] SPEAKER_00: At the end of it, it turns it to$61.
[9:43] SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
[9:44] SPEAKER_00: No, then we can say that.
[9:45] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, that's not even hard.
[9:49] SPEAKER_03: I'm double checking, but I try to.
[9:51] SPEAKER_00: No, it's four years.
[9:53] SPEAKER_03: Um, it is four years starting next season.
[9:55] SPEAKER_03: This is estimated.
[9:57] SPEAKER_03: $49.5,$53.5, 57.5, 61 and a half.
[10:02] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's that's that's crazy.
[10:05] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's a terrible contract, man.
[10:07] SPEAKER_00: Especially for the production in which you're getting.
[10:08] SPEAKER_00: They're gonna have to give the teams that we the team.
[10:11] SPEAKER_01: Unless they're just getting in nothing.
[10:12] SPEAKER_01: The people we was talking about makes no sense then.
[10:14] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[10:14] SPEAKER_01: Why would the Timberwolves get involved with that?
[10:17] SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
[10:17] SPEAKER_01: Why would the Miami Heat who's trying to get Giannis tie themselves up to that?
[10:20] SPEAKER_03: I I would say the Tim Wolves should give get involved, mostly recognizing what their window is now.
[10:25] SPEAKER_03: That like you shouldn't be thinking about what the contract situation looks like in three years if you're Minnesota.
[10:30] SPEAKER_03: If if you believe that De'Aaron Fox can help you get over that hump over the next two years, that might be worth tanking those last two years of the contract.
[10:37] SPEAKER_00: I understand that he is, but I'm saying you gotta absorb him.
[10:40] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you gotta you gotta also make 51 million match.
[10:43] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[10:44] SPEAKER_00: Unless you're trading based off, you can still trade in offseason, you could trade based off this season still, right?
[10:49] SPEAKER_03: Once July 1st hit, whatever money you're making for 2026, 2027 hits.
[10:54] SPEAKER_03: So like you'd have to make up yeah, the 49 million, which for the Timberwolves is not that hard to do.
[10:59] SPEAKER_03: It's really just Randall Spurs and Dante.
[11:02] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because they won't want Julius Randle.
[11:04] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
[11:04] SPEAKER_03: Um Damn, I didn't realize he was gonna get up to six.
[11:07] SPEAKER_03: Shout out to his A.
[11:07] SPEAKER_03: Is he clutch?
[11:08] SPEAKER_03: He gotta be clutch.
[11:09] SPEAKER_03: I can't remember.
[11:10] SPEAKER_03: He hopped around a bit.
[11:11] SPEAKER_03: I thought he was.
[11:12] SPEAKER_03: He's clutch changes.
[11:13] SPEAKER_03: He is clutch according to Sport Track.
[11:16] SPEAKER_03: Or De'Aaron Fox.
[11:18] SPEAKER_03: And you know, when they gave that contract out, I didn't even think about how ridiculous it might look towards the end of the street.
[11:22] SPEAKER_02: It's just because they had all them small contracts.
[11:24] SPEAKER_03: We also didn't.
[11:24] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and they're such a young team.
[11:25] SPEAKER_03: It's like we don't care about that type of money right now.
[11:27] SPEAKER_01: None of us thought that Dylan Harper would already well.
[11:31] SPEAKER_01: I guess they did that before they drafted Dylan Harper, right?
[11:34] SPEAKER_03: No, I think they still no the extension hit after Dylan Harper was drafted.
[11:37] SPEAKER_03: Really?
[11:38] SPEAKER_00: I mean, we kind of knew De'Aaron Fox was a bridge, but Dylan Harper's a surgeons.
[11:43] SPEAKER_00: Am I tripping?
[11:44] SPEAKER_03: Didn't they trade before De'Aaron Fox before they got Dylan Harper?
[11:47] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they trade for De'Arn Fox, but the extension didn't hit until after they didn't give him the extension after.
[11:51] SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I don't think they expected Dylan Harper to like an all-star next season.
[11:55] SPEAKER_03: You know, like that's not out of the realm of possibility.
[11:58] SPEAKER_01: I was on the phone telling my dad, like, um I think Dylan Harper, best season in his career, would be better than De'Aaron Fox's.
[12:06] SPEAKER_01: That's not crazy at all.
[12:08] SPEAKER_01: And he, yeah, but he was he was surprised that I said that.
[12:10] SPEAKER_01: I'm like, uh man.
[12:11] SPEAKER_03: Because what De'Aaron Fox's best years were Olympic second team, right?
[12:14] SPEAKER_03: A couple years ago and clutch player of the year, if y'all care about that award.
[12:16] SPEAKER_02: And I'm they like a top five.
[12:19] SPEAKER_03: They were three seed, right?
[12:20] SPEAKER_03: 36 versus the the Warriors this season.
[12:23] SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
[12:24] SPEAKER_02: Okay.
[12:24] SPEAKER_00: And with this with the size of this contract, don't y'all think they now have to attach assets in order to get it off?
[12:31] SPEAKER_03: I think so.
[12:32] SPEAKER_03: That's definitely a possibility, Millie.
[12:35] SPEAKER_00: I'm taking on a very big contract.
[12:38] SPEAKER_00: I don't see the value in me absorbing it without you giving me something of value.
[12:42] SPEAKER_03: It's a good call.
[12:43] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[12:44] SPEAKER_03: Um, they do have some other picks that aren't there, so maybe that would be it.
[12:47] SPEAKER_03: Or maybe, I mean, based on that, they might just be like, Darren Fox is cool, we'll just be on an RT.
[12:52] SPEAKER_00: Really?
[12:52] SPEAKER_00: I don't how do you make those three guards work?
[12:55] SPEAKER_00: I mean, they just are kind of doing it.
[12:57] SPEAKER_00: You don't want to because like you don't want 50 million coming off.
[13:00] SPEAKER_00: I I feel like Dylan Harper for sure is like guaranteed to start soon.
[13:03] SPEAKER_00: And like I don't want to start all three of them, and also I don't want 50 million coming off my bench.
[13:10] SPEAKER_00: I'm how bad do you not want to do that?
[13:13] SPEAKER_00: It just uh I mean I'll do it if I have to.
[13:15] SPEAKER_01: Because at the end of the day, they're in the NBA Finals.
[13:17] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and De'Aaron Fox is playing hurt, like he's literally on a high ankle.
[13:21] SPEAKER_03: And also the three the three guard lineup has been spectacular in the minutes they've played.
[13:25] SPEAKER_03: So, like, even if they're not all starting, because Dylan Harper has accepted that role to a T, like they probably will still be able to play a ton together in this game.
[13:33] SPEAKER_01: I think so too, yeah.
[13:34] SPEAKER_01: Um, it's the James Harden thing, kind of I want to say all over again, but it's very reminiscent of Vic is your KD, Stefan is your Russ, and Harper is your Harden, and he's just playing that role right now.
[13:50] SPEAKER_01: And, you know, because you're a championship team, you don't have to break your neck to do it.
[13:54] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're all talking in this hypothetical.
[13:56] SPEAKER_03: There's a true world where they're like, we were we were right here, we run it back, and we'll be better next season.
[14:00] SPEAKER_01: They build a 30-point lead.
[14:01] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[14:01] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[14:02] SPEAKER_01: Vickness the game winner.
[14:03] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[14:03] SPEAKER_01: You know, I mean, obviously, the Knicks are winning, but they they're more so can use the Kenny Atkinson thing more than the Cavs.
[14:12] SPEAKER_01: Analytically, we should be up at this.
[14:13] SPEAKER_01: There are some scenarios where they are three.
[14:15] SPEAKER_01: One play away.
[14:16] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[14:16] SPEAKER_03: So we're gonna take our first break, and then when we come back, we got more numbers on the board.
[14:22] SPEAKER_00: All right, man.
[14:22] SPEAKER_00: So we're back with Fan Friday, and the first question we got is from Shaq.
[14:26] SPEAKER_00: And he said, Is that our Shaq?
[14:28] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it is.
[14:28] SPEAKER_02: He was just telling me last night, he was like, Man, I can't, I'm still trying to get on the Fan Friday, so he's gonna be happy to hear this.
[14:36] SPEAKER_00: That's good.
[14:37] SPEAKER_00: I don't know what questions he's asked in the past.
[14:39] SPEAKER_00: You know, you know what Shaq did?
[14:41] SPEAKER_00: No.
[14:41] SPEAKER_00: He didn't want to sit those seasonings.
[14:43] SPEAKER_00: Oh, for real?
[14:44] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[14:44] SPEAKER_00: Oh, wow, that's amazing.
[14:46] SPEAKER_00: Appreciate you.
[14:46] SPEAKER_00: Appreciate that, bro.
[14:47] SPEAKER_00: He said, That's going platinum in my house right now.
[14:51] SPEAKER_00: Uh, this this one, he said, we always love seeing role players step up and get it done in big moments like OG.
[14:59] SPEAKER_00: Who has been some of y'all favorite second or third option performances in the NBA finals?
[15:03] SPEAKER_00: He said that his was Chris Middleton's.
[15:06] SPEAKER_03: That's a great, that's a great call.
[15:07] SPEAKER_03: Chris Middleton was so great that entire playoff round.
[15:09] SPEAKER_01: They was calling him the first option.
[15:10] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, at some point somebody on TV said he's actually Batman and Giannis is Robin.
[15:14] SPEAKER_03: I definitely remember that.
[15:15] SPEAKER_03: Um, that was a crazy moment.
[15:18] SPEAKER_03: It was.
[15:19] SPEAKER_03: It was.
[15:19] SPEAKER_03: I think it was crazy in the moment and even crazier once Giannis dropped 50 in the finals to close out, but whatever.
[15:24] SPEAKER_03: Um I'm gonna give the overarching, we all love Kyrie Irvin, second fiddle to LeBron James, 40s, you know, ridiculous.
[15:31] SPEAKER_03: I think that's the easiest one we can all.
[15:33] SPEAKER_00: He was out there matching 40 for 40 with LeBron as a duo.
[15:36] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[15:37] SPEAKER_03: Uh, can I give my my Chris Paul nod for their finals run?
[15:40] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[15:41] SPEAKER_03: Where Devin Booker goes down with an injury and Chris Paul was able to go perfect from the field.
[15:45] SPEAKER_01: I thought he was talking about the people who won.
[15:47] SPEAKER_01: Nah, nah.
[15:48] SPEAKER_01: Um, they won two.
[15:51] SPEAKER_01: But I I wish CP could be on this show with us because I would do that while he was here too.
[15:57] SPEAKER_01: Troll both of y'all.
[15:58] SPEAKER_01: Man, you think you think Ronald's better than you?
[16:01] SPEAKER_01: Tell him Rondo ain't better than you.
[16:02] SPEAKER_01: I mean, tell him Ronald is better than you.
[16:04] SPEAKER_01: He looked at me like I was crazy.
[16:06] SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, one of my favorite ones, because they were legitimately like not all-star level players just yet, the Raptors run.
[16:15] SPEAKER_01: Where like Pascal, Fred Van Vliet, Freddie was on point.
[16:18] SPEAKER_01: They was on point.
[16:20] SPEAKER_01: Man, they was on point.
[16:21] SPEAKER_01: Not to mention like the Marcus Salls of the World.
[16:24] SPEAKER_01: That was really like Kawhi and like a really, really great supporting cast.
[16:29] SPEAKER_01: And they they, man, they they did their thing with that one.
[16:31] SPEAKER_01: He backer his shots, Danny Green, uh, Norman Powell.
[16:35] SPEAKER_01: Imagine if that team did have a healthy OG.
[16:37] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[16:38] SPEAKER_01: Like, it's crazy, bro.
[16:40] SPEAKER_01: You you forget OG has a ring already.
[16:42] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[16:42] SPEAKER_03: Fred Vlee's a great call because I remember he had the kid, and then after that, everything was just gravy.
[16:48] SPEAKER_03: He couldn't miss a shot.
[16:49] SPEAKER_01: He was guarding too.
[16:50] SPEAKER_01: He was, yeah.
[16:50] SPEAKER_01: He had the little cut under his eyes, when a little Nelly big.
[16:53] SPEAKER_02: Did he get his his contract right after that?
[16:55] SPEAKER_02: I think it was a year after that.
[16:57] SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, I'm looking at these numbers.
[16:59] SPEAKER_03: Like some of these games is just disgusting.
[17:02] SPEAKER_03: Um or maybe not.
[17:04] SPEAKER_03: Whoa.
[17:05] SPEAKER_03: What do y'all think his his high was in the whole playoffs the year that they won?
[17:09] SPEAKER_03: Probably 22.
[17:10] SPEAKER_03: I'm just gonna say 18.
[17:11] SPEAKER_03: 22.
[17:12] SPEAKER_03: Why in my mind was he dropping 22?
[17:13] SPEAKER_03: Because he probably wasn't missing.
[17:14] SPEAKER_01: No, he was guarding him, and he was hitting very big shots.
[17:17] SPEAKER_01: He was hitting some huge threes.
[17:19] SPEAKER_01: And he also was taking on a stuff aside, man.
[17:21] SPEAKER_01: Not not to say anybody be locking up stuff, but that's a tall task.
[17:24] SPEAKER_01: And he was in the trench, he made big things.
[17:27] SPEAKER_03: He played in Toronto for four years after that.
[17:29] SPEAKER_03: It wasn't like immediately after.
[17:30] SPEAKER_03: He was in four more.
[17:31] SPEAKER_02: He went Lowry in that backward.
[17:33] SPEAKER_02: Wow.
[17:33] SPEAKER_02: Um, I would probably put Andrew Wiggins in those conversations.
[17:36] SPEAKER_02: Yep.
[17:37] SPEAKER_02: Oh man.
[17:38] SPEAKER_02: Offensively, he was doing his thing, but defensively too.
[17:40] SPEAKER_02: I think that was one of the best I've ever kind of seen him guard.
[17:43] SPEAKER_02: He's always had the tools to do so, but on the biggest stage, especially guys against like Luca and stuff like and Tatum, like that was really cool to see.
[17:52] SPEAKER_03: I think we have to uh I know he already mentioned in there, but like I think OG is gonna end up top three in that list.
[17:57] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[17:57] SPEAKER_03: Probably just because he can't miss.
[17:59] SPEAKER_03: And just because he got the ball.
[18:01] SPEAKER_01: I think he'll be number one.
[18:02] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
[18:02] SPEAKER_01: That tipping?
[18:03] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[18:04] SPEAKER_01: That tipping is crazy in itself.
[18:06] SPEAKER_01: If that was Josh Hart, that would be like crazy.
[18:08] SPEAKER_01: But you add on that, and he had a 30-point performance where he went five for five from three.
[18:12] SPEAKER_01: He had every big three down the stretch that we needed.
[18:15] SPEAKER_01: The previous game, he had like 28.
[18:17] SPEAKER_00: Um He's been like y'all most consistent.
[18:20] SPEAKER_00: Like he's been very consistent.
[18:21] SPEAKER_00: Like it's thinking like every game, you just don't expect OG to miss.
[18:25] SPEAKER_00: For real.
[18:26] SPEAKER_02: I got another name that I want to say.
[18:27] SPEAKER_02: Uh, and this is funny because back in the day, I just did not like that Miami Heat team with LeBron.
[18:33] SPEAKER_02: Like, they were beating up on everybody.
[18:35] SPEAKER_02: But Norris Cole used to feel like he used to make all the biggest plays, man.
[18:38] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[18:39] SPEAKER_01: Dealing with them and having him come off the bench as an energizer bunny, definitely.
[18:43] SPEAKER_01: He'll come off that pick and roll in a midi and get to it.
[18:46] SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
[18:46] SPEAKER_01: He would really get to it.
[18:47] SPEAKER_01: I liked um, I had a I had a name in mind from like back.
[18:51] SPEAKER_01: Oh, J.R.
[18:52] SPEAKER_01: Smith with the Cavs.
[18:53] SPEAKER_01: We talk about uh LeBron and Kyrie, rightfully so.
[18:57] SPEAKER_01: I used to feel like J.R.
[18:58] SPEAKER_01: Smith used to take some erratic threes and make them.
[19:01] SPEAKER_01: And it would be like the worst.
[19:03] SPEAKER_01: That was just very on brand for J.R.
[19:04] SPEAKER_01: Smith to do.
[19:05] SPEAKER_03: He was another one of them players that the ball always found him in the big moments.
[19:08] SPEAKER_03: Just like how we talk about Marcus Smart always got a big chief.
[19:11] SPEAKER_03: Like J.R.
[19:11] SPEAKER_00: Smith is in that mode too.
[19:13] SPEAKER_00: But that's that's that's funny because J.R.
[19:15] SPEAKER_00: Smith actually can like shoot.
[19:16] SPEAKER_00: He's one of the greatest.
[19:17] SPEAKER_00: Ain't it crazy?
[19:18] SPEAKER_00: He's one of the greatest three-point shooters of all.
[19:20] SPEAKER_00: And you see it translate to golf.
[19:21] SPEAKER_00: Because like he's actually a good golfer, too.
[19:23] SPEAKER_00: Very consistent.
[19:23] SPEAKER_00: So like it's crazy that shooters could translate their shooting skills to golf that easily.
[19:29] SPEAKER_01: I just think some of the things around him and how he gets talked about, like for him to be on an all-time three-point list is kind of crazy.
[19:40] SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
[19:40] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, especially because I don't even he is one of the best shooters, but that's not all he kind of did.
[19:46] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he'll put it.
[19:46] SPEAKER_02: He's like really that Zach Levine type mode where he could create.
[19:50] SPEAKER_02: I seen the man sit down in the chair before and defend.
[19:53] SPEAKER_02: Like, he could really do a lot more than just shoot the damn ball.
[19:55] SPEAKER_03: Well, y'all think he's ranked all-time in three-pointers, man?
[19:57] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's probably dropped because the obviously top.
[20:00] SPEAKER_01: He was like 11, right?
[20:02] SPEAKER_00: 11 or 12.
[20:02] SPEAKER_00: That's where I was ranked.
[20:04] SPEAKER_03: 25th.
[20:05] SPEAKER_03: See, yeah, he's dropped.
[20:06] SPEAKER_03: There's a lot of actives on this.
[20:07] SPEAKER_03: He used to be so much higher.
[20:09] SPEAKER_01: Yeah that suck.
[20:10] SPEAKER_03: Tim Hardywood Jr.
[20:11] SPEAKER_03: is higher than him nowadays.
[20:12] SPEAKER_03: Really?
[20:12] SPEAKER_03: Mike Conley's higher than him.
[20:14] SPEAKER_03: See, Derek Gordon.
[20:15] SPEAKER_01: I promise you three years ago this is not the case.
[20:17] SPEAKER_01: CJ McCullum.
[20:18] unknown: Oh.
[20:19] SPEAKER_01: And it's only going to get worse.
[20:20] SPEAKER_01: It's only going to get worse.
[20:21] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Kyrie Irvin is a couple three points away from him.
[20:23] SPEAKER_02: It's the weirdest name to kind of get close up there.
[20:25] SPEAKER_03: The weirdest up here.
[20:28] SPEAKER_03: Because it's got a Lowry.
[20:30] SPEAKER_03: Jason Kidd is top 20.
[20:31] SPEAKER_03: And he didn't start hitting threes till late now.
[20:34] SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's not great that long.
[20:36] unknown: Yeah.
[20:36] SPEAKER_03: I mean, he did play for 19 seasons, but like he didn't start hitting.
[20:41] SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's hit two threes a game twice in his 19-year career.
[20:44] SPEAKER_03: It's mostly longevity more than anything.
[20:46] SPEAKER_03: And then he shot 35% from three in his career.
[20:49] SPEAKER_03: But like it's a good thing.
[20:50] SPEAKER_01: That Maverick game was at the end.
[20:51] SPEAKER_01: He was not the championship run.
[20:52] SPEAKER_01: He was he was knocking some stuff down.
[20:54] SPEAKER_01: Sometimes.
[20:55] SPEAKER_01: I always love uh Jason Terry in that 2011 Mavericks run.
[21:01] SPEAKER_03: I feel like a lot of talk is about Dirk, but do Steph Curry got a thousand more three-pointers than James Harden right now.
[21:07] SPEAKER_03: A thousand.
[21:08] SPEAKER_01: A thousand more.
[21:09] SPEAKER_01: But you know what's funny?
[21:10] SPEAKER_01: And my homie combo tried to tell me he don't think Steph is generational.
[21:13] SPEAKER_01: It's so crazy.
[21:14] SPEAKER_01: That was such a crazy conversation.
[21:16] SPEAKER_01: God bless you.
[21:17] SPEAKER_02: Nobody catching Steph, but also James, James Harden is gonna be somebody that's hard to catch too.
[21:21] SPEAKER_02: So it's like you both kind of gonna be eventually chasing ghosts.
[21:24] SPEAKER_03: Who got more threes?
[21:25] SPEAKER_03: Kimball Walker or Luca Doncic?
[21:27] SPEAKER_00: Luca.
[21:28] SPEAKER_00: Luca.
[21:28] SPEAKER_03: Luca.
[21:29] SPEAKER_03: Kimber Walker got eight more threes.
[21:31] SPEAKER_03: Eight more.
[21:32] SPEAKER_03: Just eight.
[21:32] SPEAKER_03: Just eight.
[21:33] SPEAKER_03: Next game.
[21:33] SPEAKER_03: First game of next season, he'll probably had a um.
[21:36] SPEAKER_03: That's a great question.
[21:38] SPEAKER_02: With uh the Con Kipple thing, he done broke his record in one season.
[21:41] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[21:41] SPEAKER_02: You said what, Mike?
[21:42] SPEAKER_02: Con Knipple broke Kimball Walker threes in the season.
[21:46] SPEAKER_02: I don't even know if that was just for a real it might have been both for a rookie uh as a Hornet and like all time, just three.
[21:52] SPEAKER_02: All time rookie?
[21:53] SPEAKER_02: For Hornets.
[21:54] SPEAKER_03: For Hornets, okay.
[21:55] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[21:56] SPEAKER_00: Uh this is from um Bris.
[21:58] SPEAKER_00: It's like Chris.
[22:00] SPEAKER_00: But he's put he replaced his like Bruce Brown.
[22:02] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[22:03] SPEAKER_00: Um with the parody in the NBA right now, um, and the windows closing quickly, who do you think the Spurs move on from first?
[22:12] SPEAKER_00: Mitch Johnson or Fox?
[22:14] SPEAKER_01: Why the hell are they moving on from Mitch Mitch Johnson?
[22:18] SPEAKER_03: Um I don't know.
[22:19] SPEAKER_03: I think we just did get did it.
[22:20] SPEAKER_03: I think if they were gonna pick between the two, it would be Fox over Mitch.
[22:24] SPEAKER_03: But I think it's more realistic that they do bring everybody back next year, or the top guys back next season and let the pieces fall where they may.
[22:31] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[22:32] SPEAKER_00: Uh this is from B.
[22:33] SPEAKER_00: Young.
[22:33] SPEAKER_00: He said obviously the job's not finished for the Knicks.
[22:38] SPEAKER_00: But if the Spurs lose this series, um what is the next move you think they do and like internally?
[22:46] SPEAKER_00: Well, um, we did just talk about that for a whole season.
[22:49] SPEAKER_00: We did.
[22:50] SPEAKER_03: Um I think it is finding another biggish wing that that they feel comfortable with playing and not even not even just like closing out games, but just finding some stock minutes uh in the postseason.
[23:06] SPEAKER_03: And that's that's kind of it, man.
[23:08] SPEAKER_03: Uh maybe try to elevate some three-point shooting a bit, but like I think a lot of the stuff is bringing this young ass team back and letting them learn from this experience.
[23:18] SPEAKER_02: I would say the same.
[23:20] SPEAKER_00: All right, this was from Bray.
[23:22] SPEAKER_00: He said, Should 11 be retired for the Hawks and should 77 be retired from Dallas?
[23:28] SPEAKER_01: What are we talking about right now?
[23:30] SPEAKER_00: I had to think who is number 11.
[23:31] SPEAKER_00: No, that should not be retired for the Hawks.
[23:33] SPEAKER_01: What a question?
[23:34] SPEAKER_01: Bray.
[23:34] SPEAKER_01: Bray, Bray about to be not allowed to ask questions.
[23:37] SPEAKER_01: Seriously.
[23:38] SPEAKER_03: 77 is more realistic, but like even that, I just feel like you can't reopen the wound 10 years from now, 20 years from now.
[23:44] SPEAKER_03: Retire that number.
[23:45] SPEAKER_03: Luca did play.
[23:46] SPEAKER_02: They traded him away.
[23:47] SPEAKER_02: I don't care if the man is gone, they traded him away.
[23:50] SPEAKER_02: That would honestly, I feel like that would be more of a slap in the face to Nico Harrison than it would have been to honor Luca.
[23:56] SPEAKER_03: I think it's more realistic to retire zero for the Celtics right now than 77 for Dallas or 11 for the Hawks.
[24:03] SPEAKER_01: Hey, I see a question right here.
[24:05] SPEAKER_01: I don't know what you you picking some crazy questions.
[24:08] SPEAKER_01: Shaq is back.
[24:09] SPEAKER_01: Shaq said, if you could bring in one rule from another sport to implement it to the NBA, what are y'all choosing?
[24:15] SPEAKER_01: He said he would love to see live subbing like hockey.
[24:18] SPEAKER_01: That would be a good thing.
[24:18] SPEAKER_03: That's the first thing that came to mind.
[24:19] SPEAKER_03: It's the first thing that came to mind.
[24:21] SPEAKER_03: Um, that would be hilarious to see people run off the court on a defensive position.
[24:26] SPEAKER_03: Yes, bro.
[24:27] SPEAKER_03: So Rich Robinson can check into the goal and go, okay, for the value.
[24:34] SPEAKER_03: What if the NBA was like golf and the lowest score won?
[24:39] SPEAKER_03: No.
[24:39] SPEAKER_03: Nah, I wouldn't do that either.
[24:41] SPEAKER_03: Of course not, Mike.
[24:42] SPEAKER_03: He's actually looking at what would be the best team in the league if the if the lowest point or lowest point total was but you had to put a shot at the rim every possession.
[24:53] SPEAKER_03: You can't get a 24-second violation.
[24:55] SPEAKER_03: You actually get points from getting 24-second violations.
[24:57] SPEAKER_03: So you have to put a shot up on the rim every possession.
[25:02] SPEAKER_03: Reverse basketball.
[25:04] SPEAKER_01: I got one y'all would love.
[25:06] SPEAKER_01: Let's stop after every play like the NFL.
[25:09] SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
[25:12] SPEAKER_03: Um, I like I like the the new uh was it VAR system?
[25:15] SPEAKER_03: No, not VAR system, the ABS system.
[25:17] SPEAKER_03: Oh, you could for the MLB.
[25:19] SPEAKER_03: Um, because it's it is so fast.
[25:21] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
[25:22] SPEAKER_03: I would love for the NBA to kind of incorporate some of that.
[25:24] SPEAKER_03: Let the guys fight like hockey too.
[25:26] SPEAKER_02: We should do that for sure.
[25:27] SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
[25:27] SPEAKER_02: At least give him like 60 seconds or something.
[25:29] SPEAKER_03: Which y'all, if they said that was a thing that we can do this season next season, who do y'all think is getting into the first fight?
[25:34] SPEAKER_03: Like who's the first person to throw that?
[25:36] SPEAKER_01: Stewart.
[25:37] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I'm I think Wimby are butting up some of his stuff.
[25:40] SPEAKER_01: His antics.
[25:41] SPEAKER_02: But if they had a penalty shot, if you get like a technical, you have the chance to also they do have that.
[25:46] SPEAKER_02: But no, no, no, no.
[25:47] SPEAKER_02: You have the option to score on somebody.
[25:49] SPEAKER_02: Oh, do like a one?
[25:50] SPEAKER_02: Not a one-on-one, but like you could do a three-point instead of the free throw.
[25:53] SPEAKER_02: Or maybe I would say half court, but half court seemed too.
[25:56] SPEAKER_01: That'd be crazy.
[25:57] SPEAKER_02: Steph, like Steph Curry.
[25:59] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're awarded one half court.
[26:01] SPEAKER_03: It's it's some cool stuff out there.
[26:03] SPEAKER_00: I think we should also fully implement the NFL's challenge rule.
[26:06] SPEAKER_00: What's that?
[26:06] SPEAKER_00: Like, you're able to get like three challenges.
[26:08] SPEAKER_00: Like, if you win two, you get a third one for free.
[26:11] SPEAKER_00: We don't have that.
[26:12] SPEAKER_00: I ain't mad at it, but I'm gonna do that.
[26:13] SPEAKER_00: Right, Nick's win two or two, and that was it.
[26:15] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
[26:15] SPEAKER_03: I'm also afraid that the game that's already long is gonna be even longer just because the the refs be wrong.
[26:20] SPEAKER_00: But also feel like you shouldn't get penalized for winning your second one.
[26:23] SPEAKER_03: 100%.
[26:23] SPEAKER_03: I don't think it should cost you a timeout.
[26:25] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[26:25] SPEAKER_03: Because like, yeah, now we have to figure out if we want to, you know, lose this timeout or get this possession.
[26:30] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think that's a problem.
[26:32] SPEAKER_03: But if we keep giving more challenges, this game is.
[26:34] SPEAKER_03: But there's only one more, KB.
[26:35] SPEAKER_03: Oh, it's just oh, you're saying cap it at three.
[26:37] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, in the NFL, you can get up to three.
[26:39] SPEAKER_03: If you get it right, you keep getting it right.
[26:41] SPEAKER_00: No, no, in the NFL, you get if you win two, you get a third one for free.
[26:44] SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
[26:44] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's fair.
[26:45] SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't see why we just don't do that in the NBA.
[26:48] SPEAKER_00: That's fair.
[26:49] SPEAKER_02: Um, what are some other cool rules?
[26:52] SPEAKER_02: Um I'm thinking about nah, you can't implement no way up.
[26:55] SPEAKER_02: Football just have it where like the returns are already kind of like in their spots before they get back.
[27:02] SPEAKER_02: You can't do that with no turnovers.
[27:03] SPEAKER_02: That's gonna make the game terrible.
[27:04] SPEAKER_00: Nah.
[27:05] SPEAKER_00: It's hard to really think.
[27:06] SPEAKER_00: I mean, I really only watch football and basketball.
[27:09] SPEAKER_00: I can't think of any baseball rules I would want to implement.
[27:12] SPEAKER_03: Just just that review system is probably the best one.
[27:15] SPEAKER_03: That's pretty pretty much it.
[27:17] SPEAKER_03: Um We're gonna take another break, but we got more Fan Friday coming up.
[27:20] SPEAKER_03: Stay tuned.
[27:21] SPEAKER_00: All right, man.
[27:22] SPEAKER_00: Next question we got is from Nico.
[27:23] SPEAKER_00: He said, How do y'all feel about benching stars with foul trouble when basically you might lose the game?
[27:30] SPEAKER_03: Uh I think it's a necessary it's necessary, you especially when it's super early.
[27:34] SPEAKER_03: Like Car Anthony Towns, you gotta check him out of the game with one minute and two.
[27:37] SPEAKER_03: He already got two fouls, right?
[27:39] SPEAKER_03: Um, because now if you get to the point where you have four fouls at a halftime, it just changes the whole dynamic of the game.
[27:45] SPEAKER_03: You think about how teams try to attack other players with in foul trouble, it's something you gotta do.
[27:51] SPEAKER_03: You just gotta hope to just start players on in foul trouble.
[27:53] SPEAKER_01: I agree with KB to a certain extent.
[27:56] SPEAKER_01: I feel like uh Kat, he's in a world of his own.
[27:59] SPEAKER_01: You have to take him out because he will definitely pick up a third or a fourth.
[28:04] SPEAKER_01: But uh sometimes I look at wing players and I'd be like, man, let him rock.
[28:07] SPEAKER_01: Like Mikhail Bridges got in those two fouls that one game, and he he like has lost his mojo since.
[28:12] SPEAKER_01: I'll probably let him rock.
[28:13] SPEAKER_01: Stefan Castle picks up two fouls, he's super important.
[28:16] SPEAKER_01: We got three guards.
[28:17] SPEAKER_01: I'm letting him rock.
[28:18] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think it does depend on what you got coming off the bench.
[28:20] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[28:21] SPEAKER_03: Right?
[28:21] SPEAKER_03: If that player does pick up that third foul, but you also have, I don't want to use the word like superior role player, but somebody on the bench that can take those necessary minutes, then it does make sense to hold them in.
[28:31] SPEAKER_03: I do like when you do see a player like, I'm a foulcher, but he tells his coach, I'm good, like I promise you, I'm good.
[28:35] SPEAKER_03: I've seen Carnegie Towns do that a few times and still pick up the three.
[28:40] SPEAKER_01: It comes down to trust.
[28:41] SPEAKER_01: It's almost like this.
[28:43] SPEAKER_01: Some players get ignored, some players like, hey, look at the iPad, should we do it?
[28:46] SPEAKER_02: And you know, it comes down to trust.
[28:48] SPEAKER_02: Players like I seen Donovan Mitchell do it where he'll tell, you know, Kenny Atkinson, I'm good, I'm good.
[28:53] SPEAKER_02: James Harden seen him where he's like.
[28:55] SPEAKER_01: He's like, I'm letting Donovan Mitchell play.
[28:57] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm letting him play.
[28:58] SPEAKER_01: He's not guarding nobody important anymore.
[28:59] SPEAKER_03: You also don't have a crazy history of getting hella fouls.
[29:02] SPEAKER_01: I'm letting him rock out.
[29:03] SPEAKER_01: I just think bigs, yeah, they're constantly in that protect position.
[29:07] SPEAKER_01: So they they they have they they're always subjective or uh subject to be able to pick up fouls.
[29:14] SPEAKER_01: But dog, like if you're my guard, Jalen Brunson, I'm not taking you out because you got three fouls.
[29:19] SPEAKER_02: And I always wonder how I've never been in that spot, but I be wondering what be going through their minds sometimes.
[29:25] SPEAKER_02: Because I'll see some some players in foul trouble, and usually you can't be as aggressive.
[29:30] SPEAKER_02: Like you might have to just still be aggressive.
[29:32] SPEAKER_02: Some guys, I've seen Daniel Gaffer try to go for every block, and it's like, man, your team does not have to be a good thing.
[29:36] SPEAKER_01: Now you know the other side to that that we don't really know because we're not the NBA players, is a lot of guys feel like you just gave me that foul.
[29:43] SPEAKER_01: So you you you damn sure not about to give me my fifth in the first half.
[29:46] SPEAKER_01: You finna really let me play since I already got four.
[29:49] SPEAKER_01: I've seen players have that mentality where like I'ma just teeter the line since you already gave me that call and I know you're not about to give me my fifth foul in the first half.
[29:55] SPEAKER_01: You ever been in foul trouble as a like a player?
[29:57] SPEAKER_03: I don't think so.
[29:58] SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
[29:59] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, me too.
[30:00] SPEAKER_01: I've hacked.
[30:01] SPEAKER_01: I've done some hacking.
[30:03] SPEAKER_01: And I used to have the same emotion because I'm like, I'm never fouling out of the game.
[30:07] SPEAKER_01: I don't, I'm not fouling out.
[30:08] SPEAKER_01: I'm just in foul trouble.
[30:09] SPEAKER_01: Like, don't take me out for two fouls.
[30:10] SPEAKER_03: I'm not sure.
[30:10] SPEAKER_03: This is a thousand years ago, by the way, but I'm gonna still bring it up.
[30:13] SPEAKER_03: Um no, no, no.
[30:15] SPEAKER_03: This we were all on the same team.
[30:17] SPEAKER_03: This is freshman year.
[30:18] SPEAKER_03: We're going against uh DGS, and this is one of my one of my first starts since taking over the spot.
[30:24] SPEAKER_03: I pick up two fouls in the first in the first.
[30:26] SPEAKER_03: High pressure game, too.
[30:28] SPEAKER_03: Do y'all remember when I punched the ball?
[30:29] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[30:29] SPEAKER_03: That was that game where I had two early fouls.
[30:32] SPEAKER_03: It's like Yankees Red Sox.
[30:33] SPEAKER_03: It's a rival.
[30:34] SPEAKER_03: It's a rival, so I'm hot, you know?
[30:36] SPEAKER_03: And um, and me being an emotional kid, I'm on the bench and I'm in my jersey like this, and I didn't play the rest of the game.
[30:43] SPEAKER_03: And then I asked Coach after, like, why you ain't putting me back in?
[30:45] SPEAKER_03: He said you was too emotional for the situation.
[30:47] SPEAKER_03: He said, if I would have just took my two fouls.
[30:50] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, if I would have just sat on the bench like a normal player, I would have got back in the game.
[30:53] SPEAKER_03: And we lost by a lot of points.
[30:55] SPEAKER_03: Because of you.
[30:56] SPEAKER_03: That's all I'm saying.
[30:56] SPEAKER_03: Star player Kenny Beatson was in his head, man.
[30:58] SPEAKER_03: He was in his own head.
[30:59] SPEAKER_03: So I apologize to my teammates, Matt Morrera, Mike Herr, uh, Mike Mason, and Matt Brandeis.
[31:05] SPEAKER_03: I apologize to y'all for that one game.
[31:07] SPEAKER_02: That one game would have had us go into state.
[31:10] SPEAKER_00: A B-team state tournament sound crazy.
[31:14] SPEAKER_03: If he was just gonna be cheating, the the star player on the AT get called down for the tournament.
[31:18] SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
[31:20] SPEAKER_00: This is from talent.
[31:21] SPEAKER_00: Um, he said, if each of you guys had a clone, what would be a question or thing you would ask or know to know who the real one is?
[31:32] SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's a good question.
[31:34] SPEAKER_03: That's a good question.
[31:34] SPEAKER_01: You could ask my clone a bunch of players colleges if he tell you that cat.
[31:39] SPEAKER_03: No, no, because I think the question has to be more personal than that.
[31:42] SPEAKER_03: Because your clone is going or know the NBA colleges, but your clone may not know some shit we might have done when we were kids, right?
[31:50] SPEAKER_03: I think.
[31:54] SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna ask Derrick's clone after after Giordano's where you go.
[31:59] SPEAKER_03: Mmm.
[32:00] SPEAKER_03: I think that I think a clone would know that answer.
[32:03] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I would ask about like what was my pet's names when I was a kid.
[32:06] SPEAKER_02: I think the clone might know that, right, right?
[32:09] SPEAKER_03: Maybe not.
[32:09] SPEAKER_03: I want to ask, but how your clone?
[32:12] SPEAKER_03: You know that you're not the clone, Mike.
[32:14] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[32:14] SPEAKER_03: You're asking our clones to figure out what's the real.
[32:17] SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
[32:18] SPEAKER_03: You know that you're not the clone.
[32:19] SPEAKER_01: I'ma ask KB, what was his favorite experience on our California trip?
[32:25] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
[32:25] SPEAKER_03: I don't think a clone would know all the cool stuff like being in those meetings.
[32:30] SPEAKER_03: Because that was the meetings.
[32:31] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Rodale Drive.
[32:32] SPEAKER_03: Rodale Drive.
[32:33] SPEAKER_03: I don't think the clone knows a stuff.
[32:35] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
[32:38] SPEAKER_03: Um, for Mike, I'm gonna ask Mike his favorite season.
[32:42] SPEAKER_03: What's your favorite season?
[32:44] SPEAKER_03: Is it is it autumn?
[32:46] SPEAKER_03: Is it winter?
[32:47] SPEAKER_03: Is it summer?
[32:47] SPEAKER_03: Is it spring?
[32:48] SPEAKER_03: What is Mike's favorite season?
[32:50] SPEAKER_03: That was something only Mike can answer.
[32:52] SPEAKER_00: It'll be winter.
[32:55] SPEAKER_01: I got a question about Mike Long, on clong.
[33:00] SPEAKER_01: Uh are you too famous to go get that?
[33:13] SPEAKER_03: We just threw five inside jokes to only the four people here know.
[33:17] SPEAKER_03: Not a single person can laugh with us in watching this show right now.
[33:20] SPEAKER_02: When I asked you about D Mill's Yu-Gi-Oh cards, KB.
[33:23] SPEAKER_02: D Mill's Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.
[33:27] SPEAKER_00: You about to get me killed.
[33:29] SPEAKER_02: You don't know eyes of the innocent.
[33:31] SPEAKER_00: Oh, you crazy.
[33:32] SPEAKER_00: I was like, when did I add Yu-Gi-Oh cards?
[33:35] SPEAKER_03: New Graber?
[33:36] SPEAKER_03: New Graber is a good one.
[33:38] SPEAKER_03: Oh man.
[33:39] SPEAKER_03: But realistically, we would all be able to tell the clone from the real one.
[33:44] SPEAKER_03: We just had too many shared experiences on this couch for us to not have you know really good questions.
[33:49] SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna ask D.
[33:50] SPEAKER_01: Mill something, and if that top lip don't quiver, throw him in the garbage.
[33:55] SPEAKER_02: We're gonna go out for a walk.
[33:56] SPEAKER_02: Step four head not sweating within the first two minutes.
[33:59] SPEAKER_02: That ain't D Mill.
[34:00] SPEAKER_01: How much money did you spend at the Ooh, give Mike Clone five water bottles?
[34:06] SPEAKER_01: If he ain't gotta go up and piss for the whole episode, that ain't him.
[34:11] SPEAKER_01: His clone over there guzzling down water and ain't got a pee for the next nine hours.
[34:15] SPEAKER_01: That ain't Mike.
[34:16] SPEAKER_03: That water bottle I had that I've been drinking out of, man, since last week.
[34:20] SPEAKER_03: I was about to say, yeah, you might get one water bottle a month and you still don't finish it.
[34:24] SPEAKER_03: Still go to the bathroom every time.
[34:27] SPEAKER_00: Uh, this was from Grickly.
[34:28] SPEAKER_00: Grickie, actually.
[34:29] SPEAKER_00: Brickly?
[34:30] SPEAKER_00: Grickie.
[34:32] SPEAKER_00: Um, he said, which draft archetype um set franchises back the most that people are chasing?
[34:39] SPEAKER_00: Um the next Giannis.
[34:40] SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
[34:41] SPEAKER_00: Next KD or the next Kawhi.
[34:44] SPEAKER_01: That next Kawhi done had them in the chokehold.
[34:47] SPEAKER_01: Number four pick in 2020, man.
[34:49] SPEAKER_01: For real.
[34:49] SPEAKER_01: Stanley Johnson and Stanley Johnson.
[34:51] SPEAKER_01: I think it's Giannis.
[34:52] SPEAKER_03: Because Giannis is such a prod.
[34:54] SPEAKER_03: But you but you don't really see people try to draft the next one.
[34:56] SPEAKER_03: And like Bruno Kaboklo was pick 19 or something.
[34:58] SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
[34:59] SPEAKER_01: And that was like two years after the Giannis stuff.
[35:02] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I just, I just don't, we don't, there's nobody in this drive who's like, yeah, man, he could be Giannis.
[35:05] SPEAKER_01: Hey, the KD thing got nasty too.
[35:07] SPEAKER_01: And I was, I was, I was in, you know, the Austin days of the world.
[35:12] SPEAKER_01: Um, I drag on Bender had to be some of the K like these ponies of the world.
[35:20] SPEAKER_03: He definitely was the next KD coming out of high school.
[35:22] SPEAKER_03: That's what I heard.
[35:23] SPEAKER_03: That's what I heard.
[35:24] SPEAKER_01: No, the the it's like Hoop Mixtape definitely says top guy in the 2013 class, next KD.
[35:29] SPEAKER_01: It's gotta be the Kawhi one, though.
[35:31] SPEAKER_03: Because that's something that's still portable to this day.
[35:33] SPEAKER_03: Oh, he's he's big, big hands, defend, he can shoot.
[35:36] SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, he gotta be like legit.
[35:38] SPEAKER_03: Patrick Williams was drafted because he looks like Kawhi Leonard physically.
[35:41] SPEAKER_00: He literally moves like him on the board.
[35:43] SPEAKER_00: He just don't make the shots.
[35:44] SPEAKER_03: He don't got the or the attempts to shots.
[35:47] SPEAKER_03: He got nothing that Kawhi got except for the same height and amount of pounds on his hairstyle.
[35:52] SPEAKER_03: And and damn.
[35:54] SPEAKER_03: Damn, P.
[35:54] SPEAKER_03: Will.
[35:55] SPEAKER_03: Damn, they're moving on.
[35:56] SPEAKER_03: So his nickname is the Claw because I don't know, the Paw.
[35:59] SPEAKER_03: The Paw.
[36:00] SPEAKER_03: Which also is Patrick Williams.
[36:02] SPEAKER_03: But also, that's Stacey came in, he rests in peace again.
[36:04] SPEAKER_03: Um that's a nickname that because of Kawhi Leonard, that's crazy.
[36:07] SPEAKER_03: So Kawhi archetypes been killing the league for a long time.
[36:11] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[36:12] SPEAKER_00: I can see that.
[36:13] SPEAKER_00: Um, next thing we got um is from Shooter.
[36:17] SPEAKER_00: He said, Who are you?
[36:18] SPEAKER_01: Let's reverse that question.
[36:19] SPEAKER_01: Wait, if those are the worst ones people chasing, which ones should people start chasing?
[36:23] SPEAKER_01: That's a good question.
[36:25] SPEAKER_01: I'll throw one out there.
[36:26] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, what's up?
[36:27] SPEAKER_01: I like the uh I like the Aaron Gordon archetype.
[36:30] SPEAKER_01: I like I like guys that are athletic with a baseline skill set, and you just develop it more in a right, like Aaron Gordon was just misused with the magic.
[36:41] SPEAKER_01: Obviously, Denver has such an incredible talent scale up, but shoot should we this is a multi-layer question?
[36:52] SPEAKER_01: Is it the archetype or is it what we do with the archetype?
[36:56] SPEAKER_01: It's what we do with the archetype.
[36:57] SPEAKER_01: Because is it okay to draft because Aaron Gordon was drafted fourth.
[37:01] SPEAKER_01: Is it okay to draft a fourth guy, a guy fourth overall, and be like, yeah, you're you're gonna be our best role player.
[37:07] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[37:08] SPEAKER_01: Or are you positioned to be like, you know, it's just a few years ago.
[37:12] SPEAKER_00: You just have to convince your fan base, this is why you draft.
[37:14] SPEAKER_00: For sure.
[37:15] SPEAKER_03: Especially at that high.
[37:16] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[37:17] SPEAKER_00: Um you at least gotta give it a few years of experiment, and then you'd probably change his role.
[37:21] SPEAKER_00: Right, yeah.
[37:23] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, man.
[37:23] SPEAKER_03: These archetypes are a shift in yearly, it feels like.
[37:26] SPEAKER_01: I like the Calapari point guard archetype.
[37:29] SPEAKER_01: I like the uh three or four years in college, late first round pick archetype.
[37:34] SPEAKER_01: Um I like those a lot.
[37:37] SPEAKER_01: And then I like uh I like the score in college who also can shoot.
[37:42] SPEAKER_01: Because it feels like they can scale down.
[37:44] SPEAKER_01: Like Julian Champagne, he's a shooter now, but he's really a bucket getter who was a good shooter as well.
[37:50] SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure if I had more time, I could name six or seven more of those guys that did that in the NBA.
[37:56] SPEAKER_03: Maybe so we can come back too during the offseason.
[37:58] SPEAKER_03: Who knows?
[37:59] SPEAKER_03: Uh, we're gonna take another break.
[38:00] SPEAKER_03: When we come back, we got more numbers on the board.
[38:02] SPEAKER_03: Before we go any further, we want to say thank you to our partners over at DraftKings.
[38:05] SPEAKER_03: You know, all about DraftKings pick six by now.
[38:07] SPEAKER_03: We can pick more or less of different player stats for the upcoming games.
[38:09] SPEAKER_03: We've been going against each other all regular season, all postseason.
[38:14] SPEAKER_03: And yesterday's show, we did give our game five uh pick set.
[38:18] SPEAKER_03: If we want to want a reminder, I went Stefan Castle Steels more at 0.5.
[38:23] SPEAKER_03: Mike, you win Victor Wimbiama more on points at 27 and a half.
[38:26] SPEAKER_03: Derek, Dylan Harper, more on points at 14.5, and Landry Shamit for Pierre, one and a half, three pointers more.
[38:31] SPEAKER_03: We always have more and more.
[38:33] SPEAKER_03: But I, as you know, there's no NBA games tonight.
[38:35] SPEAKER_03: But the World Cup is going on.
[38:37] SPEAKER_03: Day two of the World Cup.
[38:39] SPEAKER_03: Yesterday, y'all, y'all was locked in.
[38:42] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, for Mexico.
[38:43] SPEAKER_03: Mexico did end up winning their game.
[38:45] SPEAKER_02: Um, don't ask me nothing about it.
[38:46] SPEAKER_03: Okay, well, I'm gonna ask you about tonight's games because we got us playing Team USA and our friends to the north.
[38:52] SPEAKER_03: Canada's also playing against Bosnia.
[38:53] SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna read what a line is in the pick six, and y'all let me know would y'all go more or less on that.
[39:00] SPEAKER_03: Let's get it.
[39:01] SPEAKER_03: We got Christian Polisic.
[39:03] SPEAKER_03: Passes attempted at 30 and a half.
[39:05] SPEAKER_00: Oh, man.
[39:06] SPEAKER_00: Sounds like he's somebody who got to dotten it up, so I'm gonna probably go more.
[39:10] SPEAKER_00: I think that's an easy more.
[39:12] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think he's gonna probably get up to 36, 37.
[39:15] SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna take the less on this.
[39:17] SPEAKER_02: Okay.
[39:18] SPEAKER_02: Feel like a little bit of a bait.
[39:19] SPEAKER_03: Can I ask y'all what team he plays for, by the way?
[39:21] SPEAKER_00: USA.
[39:22] SPEAKER_03: Okay, hey.
[39:23] SPEAKER_03: You're locked in.
[39:24] SPEAKER_00: I know, man.
[39:24] SPEAKER_03: Come on now.
[39:25] SPEAKER_03: Okay.
[39:25] SPEAKER_00: Come on, man.
[39:26] SPEAKER_03: What else about Jonathan David?
[39:29] SPEAKER_03: He's got 2.5 shots on goal, more or less.
[39:33] SPEAKER_00: A less, for sure.
[39:34] SPEAKER_00: I gotta go to more.
[39:35] SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna be that type of game.
[39:36] SPEAKER_00: I think I I gotta go more.
[39:38] SPEAKER_00: I think he's he's lethal.
[39:40] SPEAKER_00: That right foot is deadly, KB.
[39:43] SPEAKER_03: What teams do he play for?
[39:44] SPEAKER_00: Uh USA.
[39:46] SPEAKER_03: I would fact check that.
[39:48] SPEAKER_03: Um they do have a deal right now on minutes played for Captain America at 0.5.
[39:54] SPEAKER_03: Would y'all would y'all would you think you don't play more than half of a minute?
[39:57] SPEAKER_03: I think so.
[39:58] SPEAKER_03: I would hope so.
[39:59] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[39:59] SPEAKER_03: Okay.
[40:00] SPEAKER_03: That's a steal.
[40:00] SPEAKER_03: That's that's definitely a steal.
[40:02] SPEAKER_03: Uh, we also got MLB, WNBA, you know, PGA.
[40:06] SPEAKER_03: Mike, before we started, you had you had a Valorant little pick set you was putting together?
[40:10] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm putting mine together for tonight.
[40:12] SPEAKER_02: Uh, last few ones ain't been too good for me, but I'm feeling good about tonight.
[40:16] SPEAKER_02: Benji Fisher plays Valorant now?
[40:18] SPEAKER_03: Do y'all you remember him?
[40:19] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[40:20] SPEAKER_03: What what game do you used to play?
[40:21] SPEAKER_03: Call of Duty.
[40:22] SPEAKER_03: Oh, I thought you were.
[40:23] SPEAKER_03: No, I'm dead ass talking about.
[40:24] SPEAKER_03: He used to play like a big Fortnite player.
[40:26] SPEAKER_03: Benji?
[40:27] SPEAKER_03: Benji Fisher, yeah.
[40:28] SPEAKER_03: He's now playing on team something on Valorant.
[40:32] SPEAKER_01: You overly locked in.
[40:34] SPEAKER_03: Um I guess so.
[40:35] SPEAKER_03: Have you played Valorant KB?
[40:36] SPEAKER_03: I did try Valorant back in the day when it first came out.
[40:39] SPEAKER_03: Not for me.
[40:40] SPEAKER_03: Why?
[40:40] SPEAKER_03: Because you're not good.
[40:42] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[40:43] SPEAKER_03: Really?
[40:43] SPEAKER_03: It's and also it's about a lot of map knowledge and ability knowledge.
[40:46] SPEAKER_03: It's like one of them games you gotta really lock in.
[40:48] SPEAKER_03: Is it like Overwatch and Rivals?
[40:50] SPEAKER_03: Whole different beasts.
[40:51] SPEAKER_03: Really?
[40:52] SPEAKER_03: Whole different beasts than those.
[40:53] SPEAKER_03: I think you can pick up those games and just all that could be average at it.
[40:56] SPEAKER_03: You cannot just pick up Valorant and be average.
[40:58] SPEAKER_03: Oh.
[40:59] SPEAKER_03: That's one of those type of games.
[41:00] SPEAKER_03: All right, we're gonna take another break.
[41:01] SPEAKER_03: When we come back, we got more numbers on the board.
[41:05] SPEAKER_03: For those who haven't checked out DraftKings Pick Six yet, there's an exclusive offer waiting for you.
[41:09] SPEAKER_03: Right now, new DraftKings customers can play$5 and get$50 and pick six bonus picks.
[41:14] SPEAKER_03: All you have to do is download the Pick Six app and use promo code Enjoy when you sign up.
[41:18] SPEAKER_03: Pick Six is available in most states, including Florida, Texas, and California.
[41:21] SPEAKER_03: So don't be afraid to get in on the action right at the upside with Pick Six.
[41:29] SPEAKER_00: Alright, this one's from Inspector Gadget.
[41:31] SPEAKER_00: And this is a V expects you can get around.
[41:34] SPEAKER_00: This is a great question, though, by the way.
[41:35] SPEAKER_00: You know where Inspector Gadget is?
[41:37] SPEAKER_00: Uh sounds like a superhero.
[41:41] SPEAKER_02: Never seen the movie, though.
[41:42] SPEAKER_03: No.
[41:43] SPEAKER_03: I'm I I I'm every day you amaze me, Derek.
[41:47] SPEAKER_03: Inspector Gadget.
[41:50] SPEAKER_01: Every day you amaze me, man.
[41:51] SPEAKER_01: When we were kids, they had a whole Happy Meal program at McDonald's.
[41:56] SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
[41:58] SPEAKER_00: Watching wrestling, watching Animal Planet.
[42:01] SPEAKER_02: I was thinking of Inspector Gadget when we say go-go gadget for like Mikhail Bridgey got Go Go Gadget.
[42:06] SPEAKER_01: That gadget word makes me think of Inspector Gadget.
[42:08] SPEAKER_03: It's so interesting.
[42:09] SPEAKER_03: Because you are very knowledgeable about wrestling.
[42:10] SPEAKER_03: You're very knowledgeable about animals, but you don't have like much knowledge about anything else.
[42:14] SPEAKER_03: I wonder if it's more valuable to like because I feel like I know a little bit about a lot of stuff, but I don't know a lot about anything, if that makes sense.
[42:21] SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
[42:21] SPEAKER_03: I wonder what's more valuable.
[42:22] SPEAKER_03: To know a lot about two things or know a little bit about a lot of things.
[42:27] SPEAKER_01: I I like to know about the culture.
[42:29] SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm I think it's important.
[42:31] SPEAKER_01: But at the same time, it ain't harming Derek.
[42:34] SPEAKER_01: Hey no, his life is great.
[42:36] SPEAKER_03: So not knowing Inspector Gadget, you don't need to know Inspector Gadget.
[42:39] SPEAKER_00: It's just surprising.
[42:40] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[42:41] SPEAKER_00: He said, where do you guys see yourselves in five to ten years outside of basketball or work?
[42:46] SPEAKER_00: Um goals, milestones, family, travel, just life in general.
[42:50] SPEAKER_03: Hell yeah.
[42:51] SPEAKER_03: Um five to ten years, that would put me about 35, 40-ish.
[42:58] SPEAKER_03: Entering your prime.
[43:00] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, man.
[43:01] SPEAKER_03: I don't I don't I don't really know.
[43:03] SPEAKER_03: I think I've been able to do what I've been able to do by not thinking about too much of the future and kind of standing the moment.
[43:08] SPEAKER_03: Um I would love to still have two kids in ten years.
[43:14] SPEAKER_03: I would love to still be married to my beloved in ten years.
[43:18] SPEAKER_03: And I would love to have a healthy house.
[43:22] SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, in ten years, it's hard to say what the work thing was like, 'cause I think ten years ago I didn't know I was gonna be right here.
[43:30] SPEAKER_01: But uh definitely multimillionaire.
[43:35] SPEAKER_01: Like let's get some stuff established.
[43:37] SPEAKER_01: Big, big, big, big goals.
[43:40] SPEAKER_01: Mary Kid.
[43:45] SPEAKER_01: Um Healthy.
[43:50] SPEAKER_01: Healthy.
[43:51] SPEAKER_00: And and I think you just want one kid.
[43:55] SPEAKER_00: It was it was interesting you say kid though.
[43:57] SPEAKER_03: Like you emphasize it, yeah.
[44:01] SPEAKER_01: I think that's the one thing I can guarantee.
[44:03] SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
[44:03] SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
[44:04] SPEAKER_01: Um, but I can guarantee a kid.
[44:08] SPEAKER_01: Um so yeah, I think those are those are the things.
[44:12] SPEAKER_01: And uh, you know, I'm also not having kids with myself.
[44:15] SPEAKER_01: Dana Dane is a part of that.
[44:16] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[44:17] SPEAKER_01: Can't just stole nine kids on her.
[44:19] SPEAKER_01: Um, I I think happy household is a it's yeah, you just want everybody to be happy.
[44:25] SPEAKER_01: Um and hopefully still doing something with y'all.
[44:28] SPEAKER_01: That would that would be big on my list.
[44:30] SPEAKER_01: Even if even if Derek woke up one day, like, I don't want to report, I don't want a podcast no more.
[44:34] SPEAKER_01: Hopefully we'd be able to create a business or something.
[44:38] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we should open up a little titty titty bar or something.
[44:41] SPEAKER_03: Habadashery.
[44:42] SPEAKER_01: Well, I don't know what that is.
[44:44] SPEAKER_01: I'm from the west side of Chicago.
[44:46] SPEAKER_03: Gotta open up a habadashery.
[44:48] SPEAKER_03: I I I'm with you.
[44:50] SPEAKER_03: I don't know what that is.
[44:51] SPEAKER_03: I don't watch iCarly growing up.
[44:52] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but I don't know.
[44:53] SPEAKER_03: Is that where they had the stuff on the bag?
[44:55] SPEAKER_03: Neville said he wanted to open up a habadashery, and I've never forgot that word because of the one episode.
[44:59] SPEAKER_02: I don't remember that.
[45:01] SPEAKER_02: I watched a lot of iCarly.
[45:02] SPEAKER_02: I don't remember that.
[45:03] SPEAKER_02: Okay.
[45:03] SPEAKER_02: I remember the paraphone.
[45:04] SPEAKER_02: I remember the paraphrase was a classic.
[45:06] SPEAKER_03: I couldn't tell you what a habadashery is either.
[45:08] SPEAKER_03: I just know that's what he wanted to open.
[45:09] SPEAKER_03: I was like, cool.
[45:10] SPEAKER_03: Uh what about you, Mike?
[45:12] SPEAKER_03: Five, ten years down the line.
[45:14] SPEAKER_03: Say your age.
[45:14] SPEAKER_03: Are your grill master supreme at that point?
[45:16] SPEAKER_01: Say your age of 10 years from now.
[45:18] SPEAKER_01: In 10 years?
[45:19] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[45:19] SPEAKER_01: I'd be 39.
[45:20] SPEAKER_01: Damn.
[45:21] SPEAKER_02: I'd be old.
[45:22] SPEAKER_01: I'd be an old dude.
[45:23] SPEAKER_01: You still gonna be talking about us to record a song?
[45:25] SPEAKER_01: Because I probably will be.
[45:26] SPEAKER_03: It definitely will.
[45:27] SPEAKER_03: Danny Brown didn't get his first real hit till he was 30.
[45:30] SPEAKER_01: You're gonna be talking, you're gonna be talking about your the uh 2K builds at 39?
[45:34] SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't say why I was.
[45:36] SPEAKER_03: Let's hope not, Mike.
[45:37] SPEAKER_03: Let's hope I don't got 15 builds at 39 years old, man.
[45:40] SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I probably won't.
[45:42] SPEAKER_02: Because I definitely not 10 years from now, but I definitely want to have my own little family at some point.
[45:47] SPEAKER_02: So kid is definitely in the future.
[45:50] SPEAKER_00: I love how both of you emphasize kid though.
[45:53] SPEAKER_00: This is funny.
[45:54] SPEAKER_00: Some people just need more.
[45:58] SPEAKER_02: It's just I'm not I don't think I would plan for back to back unless it really arose to that.
[46:03] SPEAKER_01: Let me stress to you, I'm a guy that would have five, six kids.
[46:07] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[46:08] SPEAKER_01: Not much work for me.
[46:10] SPEAKER_01: I mean the process is very simple and fun, you know, if you ask me.
[46:13] SPEAKER_01: But again, I'm not creating babies by myself.
[46:16] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
[46:16] SPEAKER_01: No, I'm 30 now.
[46:17] SPEAKER_01: It ain't quick no more.
[46:19] SPEAKER_01: That's why I tell all the young kids, y'all unk this, unk that.
[46:22] SPEAKER_01: Unk will have your little uh your little love of your life.
[46:27] SPEAKER_01: Real satisfied.
[46:29] SPEAKER_01: I've always loved efficiency.
[46:30] SPEAKER_01: 23-year-old talking about honey pack.
[46:32] SPEAKER_01: Is you crazy?
[46:33] SPEAKER_01: Wish I would honey pack myself.
[46:36] SPEAKER_03: But you just say uh nothing.
[46:37] SPEAKER_03: I I saw a guy take one of them rhino pills and like test it to see what was in it.
[46:42] SPEAKER_03: Y'all people are crazy for putting that in their body.
[46:45] SPEAKER_03: That's that's all I'm saying.
[46:46] SPEAKER_03: It ain't never been that serious.
[46:48] SPEAKER_03: I would never take something from the gas station.
[46:49] SPEAKER_03: Not even not even I barely be wanting chips from the gas station.
[46:52] SPEAKER_03: Maybe y'all expire sometime.
[46:54] SPEAKER_03: I won't lie.
[46:57] SPEAKER_01: And back, back, back when I was a young rascal.
[47:00] SPEAKER_01: I I right before basketball practice.
[47:04] SPEAKER_03: Take this right now.
[47:05] SPEAKER_02: Y'all gotta watch that Kevin Hart stand up.
[47:08] SPEAKER_00: Don't scream.
[47:08] SPEAKER_00: You could get through them screens, don't you?
[47:12] SPEAKER_02: Y'all gotta watch that Kevin Hart stand up.
[47:14] SPEAKER_02: He got a bit exactly on the broader.
[47:16] SPEAKER_02: For real?
[47:16] SPEAKER_02: He does.
[47:17] SPEAKER_03: Because he's old.
[47:18] SPEAKER_03: He's been thinking about it.
[47:19] SPEAKER_03: No, don't actually don't tell a bit.
[47:20] SPEAKER_03: Don't tell a bit.
[47:20] SPEAKER_03: Don't tell a bit.
[47:21] SPEAKER_03: Go watch Kevin Hart's special.
[47:22] SPEAKER_03: All right.
[47:23] SPEAKER_03: We're gonna take one more break.
[47:24] SPEAKER_03: When we come back, we got more numbers on the board.
[47:27] SPEAKER_01: To close out some show, to close out the show, I got some news for y'all, man.
[47:32] SPEAKER_01: As y'all know, I was on the fence about potentially going to San Antonio for game five to see my Knicks close this thing out.
[47:42] SPEAKER_01: I did the goofy.
[47:43] SPEAKER_01: I waited too long, bro.
[47:45] SPEAKER_01: I waited way too long.
[47:47] SPEAKER_01: Um so the night that the Knicks won to make me be like, yeah, I need to go.
[47:52] SPEAKER_01: Um, power outage.
[47:54] SPEAKER_01: So I was at my mom's crib.
[47:55] SPEAKER_01: I had to drive back home, do my video.
[47:57] SPEAKER_01: By the time I got everything done, it was like midnight, one o'clock in the morning.
[48:02] SPEAKER_01: And I I looked at everything before I went to bed and like, okay, yeah, I need to go.
[48:06] SPEAKER_01: So then the next day, after I slept on the idea of going, I was like fully convinced that I should go.
[48:12] SPEAKER_01: I asked people, I talked to family, friends.
[48:15] SPEAKER_01: Nobody, not one person said I shouldn't go.
[48:17] SPEAKER_01: Like everybody was like, Yeah, you need to go.
[48:18] SPEAKER_01: You go, go, go, go, go, go.
[48:20] SPEAKER_01: Then I'm like, okay, the next step is like making sure everything is straight, making sure Penny can go here, seeing what Dana's scheduled like.
[48:28] SPEAKER_01: Do all of that, have another power outage.
[48:32] SPEAKER_01: Last night we had like third tornado storms.
[48:34] SPEAKER_01: You, your power went out and everything as well.
[48:36] SPEAKER_01: Stuff come back on, and I immediately like, okay, I need to figure out my stuff in case I'm flying out today.
[48:44] SPEAKER_01: All the flights are gone.
[48:47] SPEAKER_01: And the only ones that are there, it's one that's$2,000.
[48:50] SPEAKER_01: And then, well, both are like$2,000.
[48:53] SPEAKER_01: But one of them is during the game.
[48:55] SPEAKER_01: So I like, I just, yeah, I just I'm kind of at the conclusion that I'm not going and I'm I'm it's okay.
[49:01] SPEAKER_01: But it's just funny that like, I don't know.
[49:04] SPEAKER_01: I'm also realizing that I'm bougie because some of them was like, oh, you will stop in Vegas.
[49:08] SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure.
[49:08] SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
[49:09] SPEAKER_02: Some of them, some of them stops be too long.
[49:12] SPEAKER_02: Talking about 24, whatever.
[49:14] SPEAKER_01: By the way, we're talking about$2,000 for the seat.
[49:17] SPEAKER_01: This is not me upgrading the first class because I'm bougie in that sense as well.
[49:20] SPEAKER_01: This is not talking about my hotel, because I was gonna go back to the hotel we went to, which won at$4.50 a night.
[49:25] SPEAKER_01: It's not talking about any of that.
[49:27] SPEAKER_01: The tickets of the game actually went down.
[49:29] SPEAKER_01: It was$2,500 the first time I looked, then it went down to$15.
[49:32] SPEAKER_03: I did see a lot of Knicks area codes, is what they tweeted about gonna be in the game.
[49:37] SPEAKER_03: So it might be a home game.
[49:38] SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I hope so.
[49:40] SPEAKER_03: All right, another great episode of Numbers on the Board.
[49:42] SPEAKER_03: We will see y'all again tomorrow.
[49:44] SPEAKER_03: Peace.
