[0:00] SPEAKER_01: Welcome to the Call Me Back podcast.
[0:02] SPEAKER_01: This is episode four.
[0:03] SPEAKER_01: It's a dream come true, honestly, because we've talked about potting together for a long time.
[0:07] SPEAKER_01: And this is episode four.
[0:09] SPEAKER_01: So we're going strong.
[0:11] SPEAKER_01: So I'm Daniela.
[0:12] SPEAKER_00: And I'm Steph.
[0:14] SPEAKER_01: And this is relatable and motivational girl talk.
[0:17] SPEAKER_01: Today we're gonna do kind of like a holiday-themed one.
[0:20] SPEAKER_01: We are filming this the day after Thanksgiving.
[0:23] SPEAKER_01: Um, and we have some really fun stories.
[0:26] SPEAKER_01: So one of these stories is from my cousin, and then the other one was from a DM on Instagram.
[0:31] SPEAKER_01: She sent me voice memos, and they are some of my favorite stories that we've gotten.
[0:35] SPEAKER_00: So exciting.
[0:36] SPEAKER_01: Um so, and then you have a cute segment that we're gonna do.
[0:41] SPEAKER_01: Um, and then we do we have some new stuff we're gonna do this week, actually.
[0:46] SPEAKER_01: Quite quite a few new things.
[0:47] SPEAKER_01: Steph is gonna share a confession, and this one is so fun because I was there when it happened and it was just like the best day ever.
[0:56] SPEAKER_01: So we have a full pod full of lots of fun things.
[1:00] SPEAKER_01: Also, my nose is running.
[1:02] SPEAKER_01: Mine too.
[1:03] SPEAKER_01: And so I feel like I'm just gonna keep really okay.
[1:06] SPEAKER_01: Risk me sniffling through the whole app.
[1:09] SPEAKER_01: Sniffle like it gives it gives us a Christmas vibe.
[1:14] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[1:15] SPEAKER_01: Um, okay, speaking of Christmas vibes, this today is a big deal.
[1:20] SPEAKER_01: Tonight's a big deal because it's my first time I've ever bought in a Christmas tree for my for a home that I lived in or that I own.
[1:29] SPEAKER_01: I guess it's a complicated way.
[1:31] SPEAKER_01: So we went to Home Depot last week, and um the all the tree that we wanted was sold out.
[1:38] SPEAKER_01: And so so bummed.
[1:40] SPEAKER_01: And then we just ordered it online and it showed up today.
[1:43] SPEAKER_01: And then I this was actually kind of a special moment, it's a little cheesy, but I went to TJ Maxx today and I bought ornaments, and I've always dreamt of like having a really pretty tree.
[1:56] SPEAKER_01: And I will never forget a couple years ago, um, when we were living in Nashville, we couldn't afford to get ornaments for our tree.
[2:05] SPEAKER_01: And I remember like being in Marshalls and I was like looking at ornaments, and I just like didn't have the cash in my account.
[2:12] SPEAKER_01: And I remember feeling like sad, like, oh, this is Christmas, and I just want to get ornaments for a tree.
[2:17] SPEAKER_01: So when I went today and I got ornaments, I just felt so happy, full of so much joy to like be able to go and buy ornaments for like our first Christmas tree.
[2:28] SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna put up the tree tonight, and I'm just like over the moon.
[2:32] SPEAKER_01: So anyway.
[2:33] SPEAKER_00: What did your ornaments look like?
[2:34] SPEAKER_00: Like what vibe did you go with?
[2:36] SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
[2:37] SPEAKER_01: Um, I went with like a um, I don't okay, Joanna Gaines vibe.
[2:43] SPEAKER_01: Is that is that you know does that but with more sparkles, less like minimalist, but I went for more of like not like a chaotic.
[2:53] SPEAKER_01: I remember growing up our Christmas tree was like chaotic, like ornaments from every era, collectibles.
[3:00] SPEAKER_01: Like I get it, it's a very family thing, but I remember like it's stressing me out when I was younger.
[3:05] SPEAKER_01: So when I was, I was like, when I'm older, I want to have like a tree that makes sense.
[3:08] SPEAKER_01: So they're like cream and like champagne and gold, and then this like beautiful dark green, and I just feel like I'm just so excited.
[3:19] SPEAKER_01: So that's so cool.
[3:20] SPEAKER_00: Anyway, I think I'm gonna I think I'm gonna make my ornaments this year.
[3:23] SPEAKER_00: So I saw this thing on Instagram.
[3:26] SPEAKER_00: Wow, and then they put acrylic paint inside and like moved it all around, so they were iridescent with like a color inside of it, and it was just so beautiful.
[3:37] SPEAKER_00: And you can pick which colors you want, obviously, because you just go buy the paint.
[3:40] SPEAKER_00: But I think I'm gonna do that.
[3:42] SPEAKER_00: I think I'm gonna do that this year.
[3:43] SPEAKER_00: I don't know what'd be so pretty I'm gonna do, but I always love little like crafty things like that.
[3:49] SPEAKER_01: So do you buy them iridescent and then you put the like the cut?
[3:53] SPEAKER_01: Oh wow, that's cool.
[3:55] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I love that idea.
[3:57] SPEAKER_01: I didn't even think of making ornaments.
[3:59] SPEAKER_01: That's really special.
[4:00] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but here's here's my problem when it comes to decorating for Christmas is that um Christmas is such a crazy time for us because we work at a church.
[4:12] SPEAKER_00: That means we have like rehearsals and everything going on up until Christmas.
[4:16] SPEAKER_00: That sometimes we don't even get the Christmas tree up at all.
[4:21] SPEAKER_00: Uh we'll like pull it out of the garage, pull it, you know, out of the box and have it just sitting there.
[4:27] SPEAKER_00: Um, other times we get the Christmas tree up, but we don't get the ornaments out, and then we don't have time to like put the ornaments on the tree.
[4:34] SPEAKER_00: So we just have a bare Christmas tree, and then it's up till like February or March.
[4:39] SPEAKER_00: So you know.
[4:41] SPEAKER_00: So we're really we're that's not a bad thing though.
[4:44] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we're really inconsistent just because there's a lot going on.
[4:47] SPEAKER_00: So but hopefully we'll get to the But this year you're gonna do it.
[4:50] SPEAKER_00: I mean, this year I would like to do it, but yeah, we'll see if it actually.
[4:56] SPEAKER_01: And it's uh so you had family over last night for Thanksgiving?
[5:00] SPEAKER_00: We did.
[5:00] SPEAKER_00: We had some of Winston's extended family over um his aunt and cousins, and it was just a really good time.
[5:09] SPEAKER_00: Um his uh Winston's uncle just died, and so we had um his aunt over and um her kids and then her grandkids two of her little grandkids, which are so so cute.
[5:24] SPEAKER_00: Um but it was a really good time.
[5:25] SPEAKER_00: We've never had like family his family over for Thanksgiving um because it's just extended family near where we live.
[5:36] SPEAKER_00: No one really in the same city that we're in.
[5:40] SPEAKER_00: So it's just kind of in the two of us, or you know, we've hosted friends in the past, but um we had family over and it was really good.
[5:47] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was awesome.
[5:49] SPEAKER_01: That's so cool.
[5:50] SPEAKER_01: Yeah or the is that the family from Ohio?
[5:53] SPEAKER_00: Um so no.
[5:57] SPEAKER_00: Um, this family lives I think like about an hour away from where we are.
[6:02] SPEAKER_00: Oh, cool.
[6:03] SPEAKER_00: Um but it is his mom's side of the family.
[6:07] SPEAKER_01: Okay, cool.
[6:08] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then you cooked everything, I assume.
[6:11] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I cooked everything, which was really fun.
[6:14] SPEAKER_00: Wow.
[6:14] SPEAKER_00: We've cooked um almost every year since we got married.
[6:19] SPEAKER_00: I think there's only two years in there that we didn't host and cook.
[6:23] SPEAKER_00: But at this point, we have like our favorite recipes, like we got our favorite mashed potato recipes, our favorite um what else?
[6:31] SPEAKER_00: Sweet potato, casserole.
[6:33] SPEAKER_00: We've got like our list of things that make it super easy.
[6:37] SPEAKER_01: So it's so delish.
[6:39] SPEAKER_01: Um, Jake made steak last night for Thanksgiving, and I went before I ate, I went back to like the big pot that he cooked it in, and I was like, oh my gosh, it was all that green stuff, what's it called, that was crunchy on our steak in New York?
[6:54] SPEAKER_00: Green stuff that was crunchy on our steak.
[6:56] SPEAKER_01: It's like, it's it's like the season, the herb, a plant.
[7:01] SPEAKER_01: Um thyme or rosemary or typical thyme.
[7:09] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[7:10] SPEAKER_01: Remember, yes, and they're they're like crunchy, and I was like, oh my gosh, you have to yeah, and he didn't scoop it out of the pan and put it on the steak.
[7:19] SPEAKER_01: I was like, no, trust me on this one because you know, this is what we did in New York, and I added it on.
[7:26] SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, it was so oh my gosh, it was so good.
[7:31] SPEAKER_01: Like, it was delicious.
[7:34] SPEAKER_01: Um, and then we got um a cheramisu cake, and I ate I hate so much, but I felt a little sick last night.
[7:43] SPEAKER_01: I hate that like post-Thanksgiving feeling.
[7:45] SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
[7:46] SPEAKER_01: Um I love that.
[7:47] SPEAKER_01: Oh, and I I had the weirdest dreams.
[7:50] SPEAKER_00: I and I think that you eat stuff that you have the weirdest dreams.
[7:54] SPEAKER_01: I know Stephanie, if I told you the dream I had last night, you would freak out.
[8:02] SPEAKER_00: Okay, I want to know now.
[8:03] SPEAKER_01: Do you want me to tell you?
[8:04] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I do want to know.
[8:05] SPEAKER_01: You're gonna think I'm so weird.
[8:08] SPEAKER_01: Okay, me, you, and Winston and Jake are at a hotel.
[8:12] SPEAKER_01: Okay.
[8:13] SPEAKER_01: And we did you and me decided that we're gonna get married.
[8:21] SPEAKER_01: It's a weird thing here.
[8:24] SPEAKER_01: And our husbands helped us plan the wedding.
[8:35] SPEAKER_01: And then um, my whole dream was just us all sitting in the room just planning the wedding, like making the invitations, coming up with the itinerary.
[8:43] SPEAKER_01: I love it.
[8:44] SPEAKER_01: That was the dream.
[8:45] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[8:45] SPEAKER_01: Isn't that weird?
[8:46] SPEAKER_01: That's weird.
[8:47] SPEAKER_00: Not at all.
[8:48] SPEAKER_00: You know, I mean, what's this?
[8:51] SPEAKER_00: If they both die, like I'm moving to where you're living and we're gonna live together forever.
[8:56] SPEAKER_01: So oh my god, I literally woke up middle of the night and I was like, this is bizarre, but whatever.
[9:05] SPEAKER_01: How bizarre.
[9:06] SPEAKER_01: Um how bizarre.
[9:08] SPEAKER_00: Um I was gonna say, yeah, okay, let's think, let's unpack that dream for a second.
[9:13] SPEAKER_00: So you could say that maybe your dream was about this podcast.
[9:20] SPEAKER_00: Because it's kind of like maybe it's kind of like planning a wedding, right?
[9:24] SPEAKER_00: Like we sit down and well, we don't physically sit down together because we're not together.
[9:28] SPEAKER_00: But like we have our little things, and right now you're doing most of it, and I'm just little sprinkles in, but we're kind of working together on this this like little baby, this event.
[9:41] SPEAKER_00: So I really next dream.
[9:45] SPEAKER_01: Oh, next dream is that we had a baby together.
[9:49] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[9:51] SPEAKER_01: Since you just said that.
[9:53] SPEAKER_01: Um oh my gosh.
[9:55] SPEAKER_01: Okay, I've I debated telling you that on the pod, but um, for anybody that wasn't here previous weeks, I had a dream like a month ago that Stephanie and I were dating and she broke up with me and abandoned me, and I it was it wrecked me, so I don't know what's happening with me.
[10:11] SPEAKER_01: Um, okay, so I had some really cool stuff happen this week.
[10:15] SPEAKER_00: Okay, I want to know.
[10:16] SPEAKER_01: And I feel I feel like it's been like a season of just grind, grind, grind, grind, grind.
[10:23] SPEAKER_01: And okay, a couple, and you know, like I I just want to work with big brands, like it lights me up.
[10:30] SPEAKER_01: So this week I worked with Fab Fit Fun.
[10:33] SPEAKER_01: You know them?
[10:34] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[10:35] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[10:35] SPEAKER_01: So I did um a video for them.
[10:38] SPEAKER_01: Okay.
[10:38] SPEAKER_01: And they messaged me, and they were like, they said my name.
[10:43] SPEAKER_01: They were like, Daniela, this is one of the most amazing videos we've ever gotten from any creator we've worked with.
[10:49] SPEAKER_01: And they're like, we will definitely keep using you.
[10:51] SPEAKER_01: We love it, we love it.
[10:52] SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Obviously, oh my gosh, it means so much.
[10:55] SPEAKER_01: And then I submitted for this TikTok partnership with Upwork, and it's a kind of a big deal.
[11:05] SPEAKER_01: And through we can bleep this word out, but obviously I submitted through there.
[11:11] SPEAKER_01: And um I I really just wanted to get it because it's kind of like a big partnership, and I just felt like it would like help validate me or establish me like in the space that I'm in on TikTok.
[11:25] SPEAKER_01: And um, I feel like I'm used to like not getting things anymore or just like a lot my whole life.
[11:31] SPEAKER_01: So um, but the other day I I woke up and I was like, I was like, today's gonna be the day that I opened my email and I get the email that I got it.
[11:40] SPEAKER_01: And like two hours later, I got the email in my inbox saying that I got it.
[11:44] SPEAKER_01: So I'm so excited.
[11:47] SPEAKER_01: So I have to film that tomorrow.
[11:50] SPEAKER_01: Um, but I'm just like, I'm just so excited.
[11:54] SPEAKER_01: I just, I just can't believe it.
[11:55] SPEAKER_01: So that was cool.
[11:57] SPEAKER_01: And then same day, I got an email from someone asking me to create UGC for Tart Cosmetics TikTok.
[12:05] SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, yes, yes, um obviously.
[12:10] SPEAKER_01: So um anyway, it was just it was it was a good week after I feel like a lot of just craziness and not I don't know, you know, sometimes you're just in that grind mode and you don't really see a lot coming from it, or there's not like you're just kind of in, you're not numb, that sounds sad, but just like going through the motions.
[12:29] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[12:29] SPEAKER_01: So those were little moments that just lit me up.
[12:34] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[12:34] SPEAKER_00: So I feel like you I've yes, you've had a very long and hard several months.
[12:45] SPEAKER_00: And I feel like this these wins kind of like came at a really important time for you to just remind you of like why you love to do things and um that you are good and that you well, you're more than good.
[13:02] SPEAKER_00: You're like the literally the amount of times people have come back to you and said, This is my favorite video ever, this is you know, working with a creator, like you like of course, because you get that all the time from your clients, but I feel like this is just very timely.
[13:19] SPEAKER_00: So I'm very happy.
[13:22] SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
[13:23] SPEAKER_01: I yeah, I needed a little um like a little boost, like a little bisho got this.
[13:29] SPEAKER_01: Totally.
[13:29] SPEAKER_01: Also, I know we're not even close to the bisho got this segment, but I did have a little bit of a breakthrough that I thought could be kind of cool to talk about.
[13:40] SPEAKER_01: Let's do it.
[13:41] SPEAKER_01: And this is good for anybody that like struggles with like their defining themselves through their work or like finding their purpose and what they do.
[13:54] SPEAKER_01: Um, or like I only feel good about myself when I'm like succeeding at work.
[13:59] SPEAKER_01: Like, that's where I find my worth, and I know that's not what I'm supposed to do.
[14:03] SPEAKER_01: Um, so I took, did I already tell you this?
[14:05] SPEAKER_01: Please stop me if I did on last week.
[14:07] SPEAKER_01: I don't think I did, but um, I took a little break from socials just to like gain clarity on like I constantly feel this like voice of failure in the back of my head, like probably 23 hours out of the day shaming me for not creating like my own viral content because sometimes I really struggle with the fact that like I'm creating viral content for all these brands, and then why is am I not creating my own viral content?
[14:37] SPEAKER_01: And then I go back to thinking, like, I'll literally be we'll be on a walk, and I'll be like, why I should just be videotaping this beautiful walk right now because it's so gorgeous out, and I can make like a cute dog video or a cute husband video, or like then I'll be drinking Starbucks and I think like I could be doing a Starbucks review, and so my brain is always plagued with like, do this video, do this video, and then I'm never present in any moment and I'm always like subconsciously shaming myself, like you could be filming this and you could be having success with this, and so I've been struggling with the fact of like I feel like I needed to get really clear on like the kind of content I want to need to make or want to make because I can't I can't keep living with this like weird voice, and I feel like even if somebody's not a content creator, they might be able to relate to the fact of like a nagging voice kind of always compare like you're you're always comparing yourself to other people's journeys and feeling like you're not good enough, and that's how I felt for a long time.
[15:37] SPEAKER_01: Well, I was praying the other day after I had taken a three-day break from socials, and it was just on my heart, like um, I was like, God, why do I want to do this even?
[15:53] SPEAKER_01: Like, if I really break it down, and like why do I want to be known as like an influencer and not just a content creator?
[15:59] SPEAKER_01: And I felt like God put on my heart, He said, like, it's because you want to be known.
[16:05] SPEAKER_01: And I've always struggled with that.
[16:06] SPEAKER_01: Like, I always feel like I want to be known.
[16:09] SPEAKER_01: And um, even like my Enneagram, that's like the thing about it, or whatever, is like that number like wants to be known, wants their name to be recognized, that sort of thing.
[16:19] SPEAKER_01: And then, and then I asked God after that, I was like, God, well, what kind of content should I make?
[16:25] SPEAKER_01: I feel like there's I have like literally 50 different ideas for different TikTok accounts that I can make, whatever.
[16:31] SPEAKER_01: And I felt like, even though this might sound simple, it helped me so much.
[16:35] SPEAKER_01: I felt like God put on my heart, well, what do you want to be known for?
[16:40] SPEAKER_01: And that hit me because like, sure, I can make some BS Starbucks review, but is that gonna like change anybody's life?
[16:47] SPEAKER_01: Or I could make some whatever video, like an Amazon haul.
[16:52] SPEAKER_01: Not that those those are bad or anything, but like I felt like it God just put on my heart, like, well, what do you want to be known for at the end of the day?
[16:59] SPEAKER_01: Like what, like when when you die, like you want to leave like a s a certain currency in this world.
[17:05] SPEAKER_01: You don't just want to have made everything about yourself, like, and that really helped me like align my identity like back with God and be like, stop making it all about like yourself and and trying to like go viral or whatever, because at the end of the day, like it truly doesn't matter.
[17:23] SPEAKER_01: And I just felt like it really okay, so then now like as I'm going throughout my days, when I have that have that like temptation like to film something random or like a voice saying like you could be doing this right now and this could make you more successful or whatever.
[17:39] SPEAKER_01: I think like, okay, well, if I do that, if I were to do that right now, would I be known for something that would like bring value into eternity, or like and would it, if I would it encourage somebody, would it do something good for the world?
[17:56] SPEAKER_01: And I just feel like it's just helped me to alleviate all that and to just really think about like how all that stuff really doesn't matter, and it's just about like what you're known for in the sense of like the the value that you're giving people and serving other people through what you do.
[18:16] SPEAKER_01: So anyway, I just found like that helpful.
[18:19] SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
[18:21] SPEAKER_00: I feel like we so often overcomplicate things that we forget those obvious little questions like what do you want to be known for?
[18:32] SPEAKER_00: You know, I feel like it's it's easy to kind of go down different rabbit holes when maybe you've got like several talents or several things that you're good at and be like, well I could do this or I could do this, or what's gonna what's gonna like scratch this itch?
[18:49] SPEAKER_00: But at the end of the day, it's like what do you want to be known for?
[18:52] SPEAKER_00: What do you how do you want to be remembered?
[18:54] SPEAKER_00: Like I love that simple question.
[18:57] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, totally.
[18:59] SPEAKER_01: And I I feel like even if someone's not a content creator, I feel like our generation or like the Gen Z, I feel like most people more people than not, I feel like want to go viral or like want to have some social media thing because being an influencer has become so popular, and it's such a good reminder.
[19:18] SPEAKER_01: Like, we're scrolling, we're seeing a girl doing an Amazon haul and she has three or four million views, and like there's always that I'm sure other girls experience that too, like that instant shame, like, oh my gosh, why am I not like that?
[19:32] SPEAKER_01: Why am I not doing this for a living?
[19:34] SPEAKER_01: This seems way easier, or like this seems way more glamorous, and at the end of the day, there's nothing wrong with an Amazon haul, and that would be so fun, but it's like don't forget that there's you can make a video for two hundred that only gets 200 views, but you're lifting somebody up, encouraging them, giving them love in some way, and it would it's way more impactful.
[19:57] SPEAKER_01: And I feel like does it make sense when I say currency?
[20:00] SPEAKER_00: Like I that word keeps coming to mind, like Yeah, like the value they the value, the legacy that you leave, yeah.
[20:06] SPEAKER_00: Absolutely people around you, like leaving a positive impact on the world around you.
[20:14] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, currency absolutely makes sense, yeah.
[20:18] SPEAKER_01: And it's like our our tendency is to like always focus on money and then and like quantify that, and then our other tendency is like focus on maybe it's views, maybe it's attention or or whatever.
[20:28] SPEAKER_01: And it's like that's kind of like the last currencies we should be thinking of because at the end of the day, like that's not even what makes you happy or fulfills you.
[20:38] SPEAKER_01: Um it's like knowing that you impacted somebody or you helped somebody.
[20:43] SPEAKER_01: So anyway, it just I think it was it brought me a lot of clarity.
[20:48] SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, is there anything you feel like God has been teaching you lately, or just like a thought you've been having that has been bringing you like comfort or peace or even like a challenge that you feel like you've been working through?
[21:03] SPEAKER_00: So I feel like God is always teaching me things, like there are certain themes that pop up throughout my life.
[21:13] SPEAKER_00: Um but I feel like right now it's it's less of just hey, this is what I want to teach you.
[21:22] SPEAKER_00: It's more of hey, um, I'm here.
[21:26] SPEAKER_00: I'm here with you.
[21:27] SPEAKER_00: Like I'm never gonna leave you alone, and you're not alone, and I'm never gonna forsake you.
[21:35] SPEAKER_00: So I feel like right now that's kind of the the place I'm in, is that just God reminding me like this isn't always gonna be easy, and you may not feel like you have the answers to everything, but I'm I'm always with you.
[21:54] SPEAKER_01: So that reminds me of a verse that I read today.
[21:59] SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
[22:00] SPEAKER_01: What it was, but it was said something about like um oh gosh, I'm so bad at quoting scripture.
[22:08] SPEAKER_01: Um, but it was it was in Ecclesiastes, I remember that.
[22:11] SPEAKER_01: And it said something what guessing scripture?
[22:16] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I'm just kidding, keep going.
[22:18] SPEAKER_00: Ecclesiastes, but why not?
[22:20] SPEAKER_01: I I don't know what verse or chapter, but it says something like, and we know that it is he he said like and we, you know, he's talking like in third person or I don't know, whatever it is.
[22:30] SPEAKER_01: And we know that if you're like a righteous person following God, that God is always with you, always directing your steps.
[22:36] SPEAKER_01: It was something like really hope-filled, like that.
[22:39] SPEAKER_01: Um I can text it to you after, but it just reminded me of what you said, and I was like, oh my gosh, this just makes me feel good.
[22:46] SPEAKER_01: Like it just makes me feel it reminds me that God is with me.
[22:50] SPEAKER_00: Um that was like that was like it was an abysh you got this segment.
[22:55] SPEAKER_00: It was like a bish, I'm barely hanging on by a thread segment.
[22:58] SPEAKER_00: Okay, um I heard you have some questions.
[23:02] SPEAKER_00: I do.
[23:03] SPEAKER_00: I was scrolling on Instagram yesterday.
[23:06] SPEAKER_00: Was it yesterday, today?
[23:08] SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
[23:09] SPEAKER_00: But I saw this little video and it was like questions to ask your best friend, and they should be able to answer it because they're your best friend.
[23:17] SPEAKER_00: So do you want me to go first?
[23:20] SPEAKER_00: I'll ask you the questions.
[23:21] SPEAKER_00: Do you know the questions by the way?
[23:23] SPEAKER_01: Um, okay, so I saw one of them and I instantly laughed because I knew what I'd say, and then I was like, I don't want to know the rest of them.
[23:33] SPEAKER_01: And I feel like where I I think I like to be more on the cusp because if I am not, I overthink everything and then I beat myself up about what I say.
[23:44] SPEAKER_01: So we're we're on the opposite.
[23:47] SPEAKER_01: Yes.
[23:48] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[23:48] SPEAKER_00: So um, yeah, go for it.
[23:51] SPEAKER_00: If I randomly showed up at your house at 1 a.m.
[23:54] SPEAKER_00: without telling you why, what would you immediately assume is going on?
[23:59] SPEAKER_01: A surprise trip to Disneyland.
[24:02] SPEAKER_00: That's a good one.
[24:03] SPEAKER_00: I know, I know, I know.
[24:06] SPEAKER_00: That's that's awesome.
[24:08] SPEAKER_00: So if you randomly showed up at my house at 1 a.m., I would assume that like something happened with you and Jake.
[24:17] SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm gonna assume.
[24:19] SPEAKER_01: You know, I don't know why my brain was going to like 10 years ago.
[24:25] SPEAKER_01: But I I would think that you thought, like knowing us, knowing me, it would be that like I showed up because I thought I was pregnant, and then I would tell you what I did with a guy, and then you'd be like, You can't get pregnant doing that, you're fine.
[24:39] SPEAKER_01: That's what I think.
[24:40] SPEAKER_01: That's what came to my mind when I saw that one.
[24:43] SPEAKER_00: Question two If someone told you I had gone viral on TikTok overnight, what would you assume I was doing in the video?
[24:53] SPEAKER_01: Um, oh my god, I just had a vision.
[24:56] SPEAKER_01: I think you would be cooking amazing Italian food in your kitchen and be singing, and just like be doing like a cute, funny, singing Italian cooking vlog.
[25:07] SPEAKER_01: I love that.
[25:08] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's so that would be so fun.
[25:11] SPEAKER_01: Yes, it's so cute.
[25:12] SPEAKER_00: I love that.
[25:13] SPEAKER_01: Yes, or indie, or something with indie.
[25:16] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, that's it.
[25:17] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love that.
[25:19] SPEAKER_00: Um, I kind of did go viral with indie that one video.
[25:22] SPEAKER_00: I know, yes, and I didn't go viral, I just got a lot of views.
[25:26] SPEAKER_01: Um, I think going viral, like if someone has 500 followers but they got 20,000 views, to me that feels viral because it's like that's a lot of people to see your content for for a smaller following.
[25:41] SPEAKER_01: But I I don't know, I'd say like um I'd say something has at least 200k, that's pretty viral.
[25:48] SPEAKER_01: Like 300k, if you think about that, that's like like that's a lot of people, or I mean, I would say like maybe a true mark would be one million views.
[25:58] SPEAKER_01: That feels pretty viral.
[26:00] SPEAKER_00: So if someone told me that you had gone viral on TikTok overnight, I would say, obviously.
[26:07] SPEAKER_00: Um but I feel like you would be doing just what you do best, you know?
[26:11] SPEAKER_00: Just being you in your car sipping Starbucks, um, encouraging us.
[26:18] SPEAKER_00: Just what you already go viral for.
[26:20] SPEAKER_00: And anything.
[26:21] SPEAKER_00: Honestly, here's my here's my answer.
[26:24] SPEAKER_00: You could go viral for anything because you know how to do that.
[26:28] SPEAKER_00: So I would not be surprised at all.
[26:30] SPEAKER_00: It could be any subject.
[26:33] SPEAKER_01: Knowing me though, what do you think I should do?
[26:36] SPEAKER_01: Just we don't have to know if I can words it, like what what do you see me doing?
[26:40] SPEAKER_01: Do you think it is sitting there in the car sipping Starbucks encouraging people?
[26:44] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I do.
[26:45] SPEAKER_01: Really?
[26:45] SPEAKER_01: Okay.
[26:46] SPEAKER_01: Well okay.
[26:47] SPEAKER_01: What would you say about yourself?
[26:48] SPEAKER_01: Okay.
[26:49] SPEAKER_01: But here's the thing.
[26:50] SPEAKER_01: I also love storytelling and I also love like fun relationship stuff.
[26:55] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[26:56] SPEAKER_01: But like as far as like meaningful stuff, yes, I do, and I love doing that.
[27:03] SPEAKER_01: I love making those car videos.
[27:05] SPEAKER_00: Okay, question three If someone told you I was arrested without giving any explanation, what's the first assumption you'd make as to why?
[27:17] SPEAKER_00: Man, I'd be like, that doesn't make sense.
[27:20] SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
[27:20] SPEAKER_00: Um I can answer first.
[27:23] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay.
[27:25] SPEAKER_00: I would just assume it was an absolute mistake.
[27:28] SPEAKER_00: Like that's what I'm saying.
[27:29] SPEAKER_01: It doesn't like you're not gonna get arrested.
[27:31] SPEAKER_00: Like, no, you're that was a mistake.
[27:34] SPEAKER_00: Whatever it was, it was a mistake.
[27:35] SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, but what one of my biggest fears is getting arrested.
[27:40] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for like something that you didn't do.
[27:43] SPEAKER_01: Yes, but I had a not a near run-in, but it felt like one today.
[27:48] SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
[27:49] SPEAKER_01: Am I allowed to say I don't know.
[27:51] SPEAKER_01: I was at TJ Maxx buying these Christmas ornaments.
[27:57] SPEAKER_01: I I wanted to pay three quarters in cash, the rest in card.
[28:01] SPEAKER_01: I pay in cash.
[28:03] SPEAKER_01: I hadn't given her my card yet, and she hands me the receipt.
[28:07] SPEAKER_01: And I said, Oh, um, did my card work?
[28:10] SPEAKER_01: And she said, Uh, let me check.
[28:13] SPEAKER_01: Because I also was texting and I wasn't really paying attention, and I'm like, Am I being crazy right now?
[28:18] SPEAKER_01: And she's like, and she pulled the receipt and she's like, Oh yeah, your card worked, you're good.
[28:21] SPEAKER_01: And she handed my receipt and I left and I went in the car.
[28:24] SPEAKER_01: But then I looked on the receipt and it didn't show a card number.
[28:27] SPEAKER_01: You know how sometimes it has the last four?
[28:29] SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
[28:29] SPEAKER_01: So, and then I I was like, Oh my gosh, could I get arrested for this somehow?
[28:33] SPEAKER_01: Could they track me down?
[28:35] SPEAKER_01: No.
[28:35] SPEAKER_01: And then I thought the chances are very slim.
[28:38] SPEAKER_00: Retail stores loss prevention does not work that hard.
[28:43] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[28:44] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[28:44] SPEAKER_01: So, um, oh my gosh, if you got arrested, I would think it would be like you're breaking in somewhere to help somebody.
[28:54] SPEAKER_01: Like one of your good friends was like, I need you to help me go on this mission to rescue something or get into somewhere, and you were just helping them.
[29:03] SPEAKER_01: It wasn't for you.
[29:04] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[29:04] SPEAKER_01: You're just like dressed in black, and that I think that's what it would you'd be on like a mission for a friend.
[29:10] SPEAKER_01: Like, have you seen um that show First Wives Club on Netflix?
[29:15] SPEAKER_01: It's a fun show.
[29:16] SPEAKER_00: I'll have to watch it.
[29:17] SPEAKER_01: It's a fun yes, and like it's their core group of friends, like ride or die, and they all get in it instances, and then they'll like dress in black and like break into their ex-husband's house, like steal their jewelry back, like stuff like that.
[29:30] SPEAKER_01: That's just the vibe that I got.
[29:31] SPEAKER_00: I love that.
[29:32] SPEAKER_00: Okay, question four.
[29:34] SPEAKER_00: If I were to open up a small niche store, what would I sell?
[29:40] SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
[29:41] SPEAKER_01: Um, I feel like there's quite a few things you could sell.
[29:46] SPEAKER_01: Um, well, I just found out you are very nifty with Christmas ornaments, so that could be like a seasonal thing by the cash register.
[29:55] SPEAKER_01: Um I think you could easily sell any of the dishes that you make, like food-wise.
[30:01] SPEAKER_01: I guess that would be a restaurant.
[30:03] SPEAKER_01: That's what they call those.
[30:05] SPEAKER_01: A small niche restaurant.
[30:07] SPEAKER_01: Um my gosh, what would you sell?
[30:11] SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, you could sell your travel photography.
[30:15] SPEAKER_01: Oh.
[30:16] SPEAKER_01: Framed.
[30:17] SPEAKER_00: Okay.
[30:18] SPEAKER_01: For your framed travel photography.
[30:21] SPEAKER_01: Okay.
[30:22] SPEAKER_01: You could also sell your CDs and your records.
[30:25] SPEAKER_01: You could have a whole mall.
[30:27] SPEAKER_00: I thought you were gonna go with the totally obvious answer.
[30:33] SPEAKER_00: What?
[30:33] SPEAKER_00: Wedding dresses.
[30:36] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's that as well.
[30:40] SPEAKER_01: That's maybe a more normal thing to sell, but records by day, wedding dresses by night.
[30:47] SPEAKER_00: And then it like becomes a speakeasy, like after margaritas.
[30:55] SPEAKER_00: With your famous margaritas.
[30:57] SPEAKER_00: Oh, my margaritas.
[30:58] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I could tell my margaritas.
[30:59] SPEAKER_00: Yes.
[31:00] SPEAKER_00: Yes, you could.
[31:01] SPEAKER_00: Like really good margaritas, just saying.
[31:04] SPEAKER_01: We gotta do an in-person pod and have those.
[31:07] SPEAKER_00: Oh, that would be so great.
[31:08] SPEAKER_00: Okay, if you were to open up a small niche store, I would say, like, there's so many things you could tell, but this is what I would see you selling is like merch.
[31:20] SPEAKER_00: And let me explain that.
[31:22] SPEAKER_00: So, you know your little sweatshirt that you have that says howdy.
[31:27] SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
[31:28] SPEAKER_00: And then your one that says, I hope something good happens to you today.
[31:32] SPEAKER_00: I can see you just like throwing your like viral, catchy things on like sweatshirts and sweatpants, and just like making a brand out of you, and you're just selling all of your original merch.
[31:48] SPEAKER_00: Do you want to keep going with these questions?
[31:51] SPEAKER_01: I feel like we should save some.
[31:52] SPEAKER_01: Okay, let's save some for the next one.
[31:54] SPEAKER_01: Okay, let's highlight which ones five through okay, perfect.
[31:57] SPEAKER_01: Got it.
[31:57] SPEAKER_00: I'm on it.
[31:58] SPEAKER_01: Um, are you ready for a story?
[32:01] SPEAKER_01: I'm so ready.
[32:03] SPEAKER_01: Okay, here we go.
[32:04] SPEAKER_01: This is we're gonna jump into Am I the Drama?
[32:07] SPEAKER_01: I don't know why, but I love this one.
[32:09] SPEAKER_01: I when when I read it, I was like, this is so fun.
[32:12] SPEAKER_01: Okay.
[32:12] SPEAKER_01: Am I the drama?
[32:14] SPEAKER_01: What do you do when your boyfriend proposes to you at Christmas in front of his entire family and you don't want to marry him?
[32:21] SPEAKER_01: So this was actually a few years ago, and I regret how I handled it.
[32:25] SPEAKER_01: And I'm genuinely curious if I was the drama or if he was the drama.
[32:29] SPEAKER_01: So here's what happened.
[32:30] SPEAKER_01: We're at his family's place for Christmas, and this is like a big deal.
[32:34] SPEAKER_01: Even his cousins were there.
[32:35] SPEAKER_01: So after dinner, he's like, I have to make an announcement.
[32:39] SPEAKER_01: He gets literally everybody in the living room by the tree.
[32:42] SPEAKER_01: He gets down on one knee and he proposes to me.
[32:45] SPEAKER_01: And I literally said yes for this for the sole fact that I just couldn't let him down in front of everyone.
[32:53] SPEAKER_01: So I figured once everybody kind of started going home the next morning, I would just sit him down, tell him, let him down easy.
[33:00] SPEAKER_01: That way he wasn't embarrassed in front of everybody.
[33:02] SPEAKER_01: Well, the next morning I wake up and everybody is telling me how much they love me and that I was like his angel from heaven, his dream girl, and the girl that they had been praying for to come into his life.
[33:14] SPEAKER_01: His grandpa was so happy that his grandson asked me to marry him that he literally just gave us his Mercedes LOL.
[33:22] SPEAKER_01: So we ended up driving back to LA instead of flying, obviously, because we had this Mercedes now.
[33:27] SPEAKER_01: So right before we got back to his house, I came clean and I told him that I loved him so much, but I just wasn't ready to say yes.
[33:36] SPEAKER_01: And he was so pissed at me for going along with this for the whole day with his family.
[33:41] SPEAKER_01: And here is the real kicker.
[33:43] SPEAKER_01: I had been actually driving back the last leg of the trip, so I dropped him off at his house and then I went home.
[33:49] SPEAKER_01: I was driving the Mercedes cuz duh, that's the car that we drove back.
[33:52] SPEAKER_01: Well, I literally never heard from my ex again.
[33:56] SPEAKER_01: I still have the Mercedes.
[33:59] SPEAKER_01: Am I the drama?
[34:01] SPEAKER_00: Wow.
[34:01] SPEAKER_01: I love that she has the Mercedes.
[34:04] SPEAKER_00: That's a lot.
[34:04] SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
[34:05] SPEAKER_00: No, I kind of think he's the drama.
[34:07] SPEAKER_00: And why dude?
[34:08] SPEAKER_00: Just why?
[34:10] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[34:11] SPEAKER_00: It's just it seems like his ego was just too big to move forward.
[34:20] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[34:20] SPEAKER_00: Like after someone comes clean and says, like, hey, I love you, but I'm just not ready for that.
[34:28] SPEAKER_00: A positive response to that is to be like, okay, well then we'll like do you want to be together?
[34:34] SPEAKER_00: Okay, cool.
[34:35] SPEAKER_00: Like, let's let's just take it slow and not like just don't ghost her, you know.
[34:41] SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
[34:42] SPEAKER_00: It just seems it seems so dramatic.
[34:45] SPEAKER_00: I am actually super proud of this girl for being honest.
[34:52] SPEAKER_00: That's so hard to like break someone's heart, but at the end of the day, like at least she did it earlier, yeah, and not after months of being engaged and like trying to figure out how to do it, you know.
[35:06] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[35:06] SPEAKER_00: No, I don't think she's the drama.
[35:08] SPEAKER_00: I think I think he's the drama.
[35:11] SPEAKER_01: I'm so glad that she got the car.
[35:12] SPEAKER_01: I don't know why, but that just makes me happy.
[35:15] SPEAKER_01: Like that's that's and like who I don't know what happened with this couple.
[35:20] SPEAKER_01: That could have been the love of her life, but she just wasn't ready.
[35:23] SPEAKER_01: Who knows?
[35:24] SPEAKER_01: So then it's like she lost this entire relationship.
[35:26] SPEAKER_01: He never spoke to her again.
[35:27] SPEAKER_01: And you're right, that is like a that is a pretty prideful thing.
[35:30] SPEAKER_01: Just because someone says that they weren't ready.
[35:34] SPEAKER_01: Um, that's so crazy.
[35:36] SPEAKER_01: Like, and also, I wish I wish my grandpa would have given me a Mercedes when I got engaged.
[35:43] SPEAKER_01: That's really nice.
[35:45] SPEAKER_00: That's really great.
[35:46] SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I had a couple of stories for expose.
[35:51] SPEAKER_01: So this is our this is our segment where we expose our exes.
[35:57] SPEAKER_01: So this one is actually from my cousin, and I'm so glad that she decided to expose her ex because I think that this one's kind of crazy.
[36:08] SPEAKER_01: They're all crazy.
[36:09] SPEAKER_01: Every time we do this, it's crazy, but this is good.
[36:11] SPEAKER_01: Okay.
[36:13] SPEAKER_01: This is exposed.
[36:16] SPEAKER_01: So, oh, and it's holiday, by the way.
[36:18] SPEAKER_01: Case this is just the holiday edition.
[36:20] SPEAKER_01: So last Christmas, me and my ex exchanged presents and he gave me a plate of cookies, which I thought was kind of weird, but he was like, please take a bite, and he was being all pushy about it, so I just took a bite.
[36:32] SPEAKER_01: Immediately after, I have an anaphylactic reaction.
[36:35] SPEAKER_01: I'm like deathly allergic to peanuts, and I'm like, what the heck?
[36:39] SPEAKER_01: He knows I'm allergic to peanuts.
[36:41] SPEAKER_01: I didn't have my EpiPen, so I just took some Benadryl.
[36:44] SPEAKER_01: Called the ambulance.
[36:46] SPEAKER_01: It was this, it was a whole fiasco.
[36:48] SPEAKER_01: Meanwhile, there's like a million people over his house for Christmas, so it was just very overwhelming and draining.
[36:53] SPEAKER_01: So a couple hours later, after everybody had calmed down and I finally felt okay, I went back to the plate of cookies and I broke open the whole cookie, and there was legit a ring inside of the cookie.
[37:05] SPEAKER_01: And I was like mortified because I was not ready to marry him.
[37:10] SPEAKER_01: P.S.
[37:10] SPEAKER_01: He had basically just poisoned me with peanuts.
[37:13] SPEAKER_01: So I didn't even mention that I found the ring.
[37:16] SPEAKER_01: I was hoping it would just all go away.
[37:18] SPEAKER_01: So the next morning we wake up, his phone is like blowing up.
[37:22] SPEAKER_01: So of course I looked over and I looked at it because he was still sleeping, and it was his ex's name.
[37:27] SPEAKER_01: So obviously, I opened it.
[37:29] SPEAKER_01: It turned out that she had baked the cookies, and I'm like, what?
[37:33] SPEAKER_01: So I look at their conversation, and their conversation is literally that she made him these Christmas cookies, and he just decided to straight up put a ring inside of one of them and give that to me as like a weird proposal for Christmas.
[37:48] SPEAKER_01: Like, what is this?
[37:48] SPEAKER_01: A gumball machine?
[37:50] SPEAKER_01: I was pissed.
[37:51] SPEAKER_01: Merry freaking Christmas to me.
[37:53] SPEAKER_01: That's bad.
[37:56] SPEAKER_01: That's really bad.
[37:57] SPEAKER_00: That's really bad.
[37:59] SPEAKER_01: That's giving me Alex vibes.
[38:00] SPEAKER_01: That is so giving me Alex vibes.
[38:03] SPEAKER_01: Like, you want to just casually throw out like a commitment, like a ring, and yet um your ex made these cookies?
[38:12] SPEAKER_01: That's so weird.
[38:13] SPEAKER_01: Is that not really weird?
[38:16] SPEAKER_00: No, that's really weird.
[38:18] SPEAKER_00: And he also didn't say she's allergic to peanuts.
[38:22] SPEAKER_01: Well, that's because she made the cookies for him.
[38:26] SPEAKER_01: She didn't make them for her.
[38:28] SPEAKER_01: She made them for him and he re-gifted the damn cookies according to the story.
[38:32] SPEAKER_00: Okay, wait, so then how did how did he get the ring in the cookies if he didn't bake the ring in the cookie?
[38:39] SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
[38:40] SPEAKER_01: That's a good question.
[38:42] SPEAKER_01: Wow.
[38:43] SPEAKER_01: Maybe he's just like a straight up scumbag liar.
[38:48] SPEAKER_01: I don't know, but she read the text.
[38:49] SPEAKER_00: Sounds like it.
[38:50] SPEAKER_01: And I actually asked her.
[38:52] SPEAKER_01: I said, because this is my cousin.
[38:54] SPEAKER_01: I said, like, what was the deal?
[38:55] SPEAKER_01: Like, what did the thread like look like between the ex and him?
[39:00] SPEAKER_01: And what he text he texted the ex and he was like, I gave these cookies to this other girl, and she had an allergic reaction.
[39:06] SPEAKER_01: Like, what was in them?
[39:07] SPEAKER_01: So then the ex was pissed.
[39:09] SPEAKER_01: Like, what do you mean you're giving he didn't mention the ring in the text, but like, what do you mean you're giving some of my cookies to another girl?
[39:16] SPEAKER_01: So it just um it just sounds like it was a total shit show.
[39:20] SPEAKER_01: And like Wow.
[39:22] SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
[39:23] SPEAKER_01: And I messy.
[39:24] SPEAKER_01: I've never been a fan of food proposals.
[39:27] SPEAKER_01: Like, I know what's that one?
[39:29] SPEAKER_01: No.
[39:29] SPEAKER_01: It's like the ring in the Chow Main at the cute Chinese takeout on the couch.
[39:34] SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
[39:35] SPEAKER_01: That is not like how is that ring not getting all like ring in the Chow Main?
[39:39] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, isn't that from uh not Princess Diaries, Devil Wears Prada?
[39:43] SPEAKER_01: Or some movie with Anne Hathaway?
[39:45] SPEAKER_00: I think you're you're thinking of Bride Wars and the ring in the fortune cookie.
[39:50] SPEAKER_01: There we go.
[39:50] SPEAKER_00: Didn't get sauce on it.
[39:52] SPEAKER_00: Chow Main sounds even more exciting.
[39:56] SPEAKER_00: Sounds like a choking hazard.
[39:58] SPEAKER_00: Putting a ring in anything edible is just never, just never a good idea.
[40:03] SPEAKER_01: Um, run, girl, run, run, run, rudolph.
[40:06] SPEAKER_01: You know what I'm saying?
[40:07] SPEAKER_01: There's our Christmas reference.
[40:09] SPEAKER_01: Um okay, so our next segment is Princess Diaries, and this is embarrassing stories slash confessions.
[40:16] SPEAKER_01: Sometimes they are from our wonderful pod watchers.
[40:20] SPEAKER_01: Is that what we call them?
[40:21] SPEAKER_01: Pod watchers.
[40:22] SPEAKER_01: Um and then sometimes they're from us.
[40:25] SPEAKER_01: So um I have a few.
[40:27] SPEAKER_01: I think I'm gonna save them because I I want stuff to share because this was fun.
[40:32] SPEAKER_01: Um, do you want to share your your Mickey Mouse confession?
[40:37] SPEAKER_00: I will share.
[40:38] SPEAKER_00: So this is back in January.
[40:40] SPEAKER_00: We were on a work trip, and um we went to Florida and we decided to tack on an extra day so that we could go to Disney World.
[40:53] SPEAKER_00: Now, mind you, we did not plan for this at all.
[40:56] SPEAKER_00: We just kind of spur the moment were here, okay, we're gonna take an extra day and just go to Disney World.
[41:03] SPEAKER_00: Um, so we decided to go to Epicot, which was so fun.
[41:08] SPEAKER_00: Um, we rented a janky is all get out um rent a car.
[41:14] SPEAKER_00: It was supposed to be a Tesla.
[41:17] SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, okay, so here's that.
[41:19] SPEAKER_00: Um so it was supposed to be uh a Tesla, and and we get there, and the guy gives us this toaster on wheels that basically is like barely running.
[41:33] SPEAKER_00: And we're like, um, I I think we're supposed to get a Tesla.
[41:38] SPEAKER_00: And he was like, Oh no, we don't have those here.
[41:41] SPEAKER_00: And we're like, okay.
[41:44] SPEAKER_00: So obviously that doesn't matter to us.
[41:45] SPEAKER_00: We know how to have fun in any circumstance or situation.
[41:49] SPEAKER_00: So we are driving to Disney World, and that day was a little bit of a treacherous day.
[41:56] SPEAKER_00: There were some things that happened that day.
[42:00] SPEAKER_00: So we ended up getting into the park probably around like 12:30 or 1.
[42:04] SPEAKER_01: I have to take a I have to pause you there because this stands out to me as like who you are in our friendship, and I just have to give you like a shout out because I always think of this when I think of this story.
[42:16] SPEAKER_01: We had so much go against us, and then my poor dog shedding blood everywhere.
[42:22] SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
[42:24] SPEAKER_01: Jake was sending me photos of it.
[42:25] SPEAKER_01: I was like worried that my dog was dying.
[42:28] SPEAKER_01: It was terrible, and I just remember like we finally got to the theme park, and I was um, I was just like in a really I was just really sad and I was really scared more than anything.
[42:40] SPEAKER_01: But I remember sitting there thinking like how patient you were with me.
[42:45] SPEAKER_01: Like if it was me, I would be like, we paid for these damn Disneyland tickets.
[42:49] SPEAKER_01: We need to get our asses in there.
[42:50] SPEAKER_01: Like, with time is money, we're on the dollar right now.
[42:54] SPEAKER_01: And you were so like sweet and patient, and you were just like, do you need some more time?
[42:58] SPEAKER_01: And then we were praying, and then you texted your husband, and he has like had the whole church praying, and it worked.
[43:05] SPEAKER_01: Um, but I just thought that that was just like so, so, so sweet of you.
[43:10] SPEAKER_01: Seriously, that was so sweet and patient.
[43:13] SPEAKER_01: And then I just remember me spilling my stupid coffee when I was trying to scan my past going in.
[43:19] SPEAKER_01: I was so mad.
[43:20] SPEAKER_01: We had Starbucks.
[43:22] SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
[43:23] SPEAKER_01: And remember, we almost accidentally drank poison Starbucks on the way from the sewer leak.
[43:28] SPEAKER_01: I mean, so much weird stuff.
[43:30] SPEAKER_00: This day, the day was just not on our side at all.
[43:36] SPEAKER_00: So we made it through.
[43:37] SPEAKER_00: We did.
[43:38] SPEAKER_00: Oh, my Oh, go ahead.
[43:42] SPEAKER_01: So you know how sometimes people say, or like even I can feel this way, like, oh, it's not meant to be, or oh, this day is sh and it's just not meant to be, or whatever.
[43:52] SPEAKER_01: I actually learned that day, I think, that you can have one of the best days of your entire life and still a million things can go wrong.
[43:59] SPEAKER_01: It doesn't That you're doomed, or that you have bad luck, or that like God's not on your side, or that you're you're just like not destined, or like it's not meant to be.
[44:08] SPEAKER_01: That's not true.
[44:09] SPEAKER_01: You can still have an amazing day amidst a million bad things happening.
[44:14] SPEAKER_00: Totally.
[44:15] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like life really is what you make it.
[44:19] SPEAKER_00: Your days are what you make them for sure.
[44:23] SPEAKER_00: Um and I don't I don't think I've ever been one to like I get I don't know what I'm trying to say, but I feel like I've always understood that you like you have a choice.
[44:39] SPEAKER_00: You have a choice in what you do with your circumstances or your roadblocks that you face.
[44:46] SPEAKER_00: Like I've just always totally understood that.
[44:49] SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, you can surrender to that, you can give in, or you can just decide, like, actually, this is happening, and I can have fun at the same time.
[44:58] SPEAKER_00: It doesn't mean that you know, those things can coexist, it's not mutually exclusive.
[45:05] SPEAKER_01: So And you know what?
[45:07] SPEAKER_01: I think it comes from a culture these days.
[45:09] SPEAKER_01: There's so much manifestation and so much signs, like, oh, this is a sign and this is a sign, and like um, just like the whole manifest thing when it's like, okay, but then that if you don't see the sign or if something bad happens, I I s know friends of mine that will like start to spiral and think like, oh no, now these next three things are doomed or whatever, and that's just not not true.
[45:32] SPEAKER_01: I learned that day anyway, okay.
[45:34] SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
[45:35] SPEAKER_00: I feel like both you and I know that our pets and our people mean more to us than anything has and ever will in life.
[45:46] SPEAKER_00: So, like if you would have said to me, actually, I just want to go back, like we would have turned around and gone home, absolutely.
[45:53] SPEAKER_00: I would have been sad, but but I know that because I I like I get it.
[46:00] SPEAKER_00: That's that's your baby, you know.
[46:03] SPEAKER_00: So we didn't get into the park until well into the day.
[46:07] SPEAKER_00: Um, but once we got in, oh my gosh, it was so much fun.
[46:12] SPEAKER_00: We did the little drink around the world thing where you go to all the different countries.
[46:16] SPEAKER_00: We just had like the best day.
[46:17] SPEAKER_00: It was raining a little bit like on and off, but we were like, whatever.
[46:21] SPEAKER_00: And I I don't know about you, but I feel kind of unstoppable when we're together.
[46:26] SPEAKER_01: Oh yes, absolutely.
[46:30] SPEAKER_00: Like in a in like a naive kind of way, like, give me whatever you got because I'm with my bestie and we can handle it.
[46:38] SPEAKER_00: Yes, that kind of thing.
[46:39] SPEAKER_01: Yes, and I feel like feel that.
[46:41] SPEAKER_01: Oh, well, and I was about to say, and I feel like we can get whatever we want when we're together because we're this magical force, which leads me to what happened.
[46:51] SPEAKER_00: So, so the thing, so they have this amazing ride.
[46:56] SPEAKER_00: Just like, would you agree the the best roller coaster you've ever been on?
[47:00] SPEAKER_00: Ever.
[47:00] SPEAKER_00: It was so much fun.
[47:01] SPEAKER_00: Hands down.
[47:02] SPEAKER_00: Okay, it was the Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster at Epcot.
[47:07] SPEAKER_00: Not to be confused with Guardians of the Galaxy at California Adventure, totally different.
[47:13] SPEAKER_00: It's like a roller coaster, like Space Mountain on crack.
[47:17] SPEAKER_00: And so anyway, they have this stupid virtual queue thing that they do where you have to get into the virtual queue and then you can only go on the ride one time throughout the day, right?
[47:31] SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this coming from people who used to like go in every ride single rider and then just like get off the ride and go back again.
[47:40] SPEAKER_00: I can't even count the amount of times we would go on like California Scream and just single rider.
[47:46] SPEAKER_00: So we got off this ride and we were like, I don't know what we gotta do, but we are getting on this ride again.
[47:55] SPEAKER_00: And I think when we got off, did we ask someone like we're like, hey, can we just go on like where do we how do we get on this ride again?
[48:04] SPEAKER_00: And they were like, Oh, you can only do it if you've got this thing.
[48:08] SPEAKER_00: Well, it was too late for that.
[48:11] SPEAKER_00: So we're walking out and we were thinking about how amazing this ride was, and I was like, you know what, we're just gonna we're just gonna get on this ride again.
[48:19] SPEAKER_00: We're I don't know how it's gonna happen, but we're gonna do it.
[48:22] SPEAKER_00: And we come out of the ride exit and we just walk right up to the entry again where they like scan your pass, right?
[48:30] SPEAKER_00: So it's not just a regular line, like they scan your Disneyland or your Disney World Pass, and they'll only let you in if you have that like virtual cue thing.
[48:41] SPEAKER_00: And so we go up and we scan our passes, and they don't work, obviously, because we've had just been on the ride.
[48:48] SPEAKER_01: They're like beeping red, like the whole machine is like lighting up, like and so this sweet, sweet girl.
[48:58] SPEAKER_00: Oh, also, we I don't know if you did this, but I scanned and like evaluated like who should we go to?
[49:05] SPEAKER_00: Who do we have like the highest probability of them letting us in?
[49:09] SPEAKER_00: There was this sweet girl, so we went in her line, kind of younger girl, maybe like I don't know, mid-20s or something.
[49:17] SPEAKER_00: And we get in the line, it's lighting up red, obviously it's not working because we've just been on the ride, and so um she starts asking us questions, like, oh, do you guys have um you have to help me remember what she asked us, but basically she was like, Do you have um she's like, Oh, for some reason this isn't working?
[49:41] SPEAKER_00: Like, did you guys get into the ritual queue?
[49:45] SPEAKER_00: And I don't remember what I said.
[49:46] SPEAKER_00: Did I say yes or something?
[49:48] SPEAKER_01: Um she would just like say, like, oh, your past isn't working, but like, are you a part of this team or did you come with this group, or are you blah blah blah, and be like, oh no, we don't we don't know what that is, like no, and that's how we were kind of responding.
[50:03] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then she she asked us the last question.
[50:09] SPEAKER_00: The last question.
[50:10] SPEAKER_00: She was like, Have you been on this ride today?
[50:16] SPEAKER_00: And I don't know why, but my instant answer was no.
[50:22] SPEAKER_00: I think it was almost like you're like, no, like no, no, yeah, and I I did hesitate for a second, but then the words came out of my mouth, and I was like, I'm the worst human being in the world.
[50:35] SPEAKER_00: And I was like, no.
[50:37] SPEAKER_01: It was the Disney spirit coming out of you, right?
[50:40] SPEAKER_01: Wish upon a star, dreams come true.
[50:42] SPEAKER_01: What do they want from us?
[50:44] SPEAKER_00: And then she was like, Was it just you two?
[50:46] SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Yeah.
[50:47] SPEAKER_00: She's like, Okay, you guys can go.
[50:49] SPEAKER_00: And so, and then we proceed to like go get in line again, and then for probably the next 15 minutes, I'm like, I'm a terrible person.
[50:57] SPEAKER_00: I just flat out lied to this girl's face, and then you're like, No, you made it happen, and you were just the most encouraging person.
[51:04] SPEAKER_00: So that's my confession.
[51:06] SPEAKER_00: I I lied, I'm 32 years old, and I lied to get into ride a roller coaster.
[51:12] SPEAKER_01: That's how good it was.
[51:13] SPEAKER_01: That's how good that roller coaster was.
[51:16] SPEAKER_01: It was so good.
[51:16] SPEAKER_01: We're like, we have to do this again.
[51:20] SPEAKER_01: We have to.
[51:21] SPEAKER_01: That was just it was so much fun.
[51:23] SPEAKER_01: I'm so grateful that you got us on that second time.
[51:26] SPEAKER_01: I was so impressed.
[51:27] SPEAKER_01: I was like, wow, like this is amazing.
[51:30] SPEAKER_01: You were my fast pass.
[51:32] SPEAKER_01: Um, that was oh yeah, that was amazing.
[51:35] SPEAKER_00: Um it was perfect timing too, because it had just started to like pour down raining.
[51:40] SPEAKER_00: Do you remember that?
[51:40] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it was the last ride of the night.
[51:43] SPEAKER_00: Remember, there was no one behind us.
[51:44] SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
[51:45] SPEAKER_00: Yes, there's no one behind us, behind us.
[51:48] SPEAKER_00: Um, it was like 10 minutes till closing or something, right?
[51:51] SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and you know what?
[51:53] SPEAKER_01: We realized though that we were not the only ones that did that because there you have to walk through all these rooms to get onto the ride.
[52:00] SPEAKER_01: And if you don't go to the far right side of the room and you're on the left, you're gonna be like, you're gonna wait in line like three times longer because the ride is on the right.
[52:09] SPEAKER_01: So we're like, okay, as soon as they let us in, let's run to the right, run past everyone.
[52:13] SPEAKER_01: Everyone bolted like they already knew.
[52:16] SPEAKER_01: So that there was some system that people were working to get on twice in a day.
[52:20] SPEAKER_01: I don't know what it was.
[52:22] SPEAKER_00: Do you remember?
[52:23] SPEAKER_00: Okay, so the second time when we went on it, the second time we went on it, we obviously knew the tricks, like we went far right, and then the doors open.
[52:33] SPEAKER_00: And do you remember me just like taking off?
[52:36] SPEAKER_00: Like, where's she going?
[52:37] SPEAKER_00: I just like sprinted, and then I could tell that people were were behind me, and I started like flailing doing this, and then I just hear people laughing behind me, but we're the first ones.
[52:47] SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we nailed it.
[52:49] SPEAKER_00: The first ones on.
[52:51] SPEAKER_01: It was so much fun.
[52:52] SPEAKER_01: Guardians of the ground.
[52:54] SPEAKER_01: No, I'm so glad.
[52:56] SPEAKER_01: Um, well, we kind of did this pod in reverse.
[52:58] SPEAKER_01: We started with Bish, you got this, and then we we just did it all in reverse.
[53:04] SPEAKER_01: So, anyway, um that was the pod.
