[0:12] Speaker 1: you to like avoid temptation, do they give you like
[0:16] Speaker 1: little tips like hey, when your friends drink around you,
[0:18] Speaker 1: don't do this kind of thing.
[0:19] Speaker 2: Or no, I mean, for the most part they told me,
[0:22] Speaker 2: I mean to to.
[0:23] Speaker 3: It's a theory that you use called go towards the roar,
[0:27] Speaker 3: which pretty much means like, you know.
[0:28] Speaker 4: Towards your what go towards the roar, the roar, the roar.
[0:31] Speaker 2: Like when the lion roar.
[0:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, It's like you know, when lions hung gazelles,
[0:36] Speaker 3: one of them a roar, and the gazelles are run
[0:38] Speaker 3: the opposite way and it's a pack of lines waiting
[0:40] Speaker 3: on them. So they tell you go towards the rarer.
[0:42] Speaker 3: You want to be around drinking. You want to be
[0:43] Speaker 3: around all the things that you was around, because if
[0:45] Speaker 3: you try to avoid it and run from it so much,
[0:47] Speaker 3: by the time you get you probably get around it.
[0:49] Speaker 2: It's probably what's going to cause you to relft.
[0:51] Speaker 3: But if you especially when you're fresh and you first
[0:53] Speaker 3: coming out, so being around people drinking and you know,
[0:56] Speaker 3: doing whatever they want to do. After a while, you
[0:58] Speaker 3: just get used to it, so didn't You never want
[1:00] Speaker 3: to make people uncomfortable.
[1:01] Speaker 2: You don't want to be the sober guy, and people
[1:02] Speaker 2: like I don't want to do nothing wrong, you know,
[1:04] Speaker 2: I want people to be themself.
[1:06] Speaker 4: You know, right right interesting go towards the roar.
[1:09] Speaker 2: Yeah, all right?
[1:10] Speaker 3: And it worked too, because now you know, the first
[1:13] Speaker 3: day I got out of rehab, I had to play
[1:14] Speaker 3: a show at Arizona State.
[1:18] Speaker 4: That's rough. That's rough. Were you like shaking? Were you
[1:21] Speaker 4: like fucking did you have the dts and like that?
[1:24] Speaker 2: I mean it wasn't that.
[1:25] Speaker 3: It was just I was just so nervous because I
[1:27] Speaker 3: was so used to relying on alcohol to do the shows.
[1:29] Speaker 2: To be up.
[1:30] Speaker 4: There, it was like it comes a crutch.
[1:32] Speaker 2: I still got thirty minutes left, like, yeah, oh my
[1:35] Speaker 2: god when this in. And the first place we went
[1:38] Speaker 2: to go eat, they ain't had no table boys.
[1:39] Speaker 3: I had to sit at the bar, go towards the rary.
[1:46] Speaker 4: Really like they really tested your metal first day out.
[1:49] Speaker 3: Literally the first day I got out.
[1:52] Speaker 4: To go to rehab in Florida or California.
[1:55] Speaker 2: I'm in Philadelphia. I mean it's Pennsylvania.
[1:57] Speaker 5: Oh you were like in the woods, Karen, where there
[1:59] Speaker 5: are they're like rappers in there and Ship I was
[2:02] Speaker 5: the only one.
[2:04] Speaker 2: I think I was the first rapper to ever go there.
[2:06] Speaker 4: Oh really it was a bunch of like businessman and Ship.
[2:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, and and there's a lot of kids, so I
[2:11] Speaker 2: was getting noticed all the time.
[2:13] Speaker 4: Oh shure, yeah, you're taking selfies.
[2:16] Speaker 2: I mean no, he couldn't do We couldn't. We couldn't
[2:18] Speaker 2: have a pone.
[2:19] Speaker 4: We Oh Ship my friend did.
[2:22] Speaker 5: He was addicted to percocet and he did rehab in Florida,
[2:26] Speaker 5: and he said the first day rehabs the best when you're.
[2:29] Speaker 4: On pills because they give you all the pills. They
[2:31] Speaker 4: don't want you to go through withdrawal.
[2:32] Speaker 2: And yeah, die.
[2:33] Speaker 5: You know, if you're addicted to xanex or something, you
[2:35] Speaker 5: could seizure, and if you're addicted to opiates, you could
[2:38] Speaker 5: get you know, withdraws.
[2:41] Speaker 3: Showed up drunk, I was, I can't drunk.
[2:47] Speaker 4: Yeah, what is detox? I think detox you from alcohol.
[2:50] Speaker 2: It's just I mean, see I was.
[2:52] Speaker 3: I mean I actually was lucky because I didn't have
[2:54] Speaker 3: like withdrawal syndromes and all that kind of stuff.
[2:57] Speaker 2: I think.
[2:57] Speaker 3: I think that's mostly for people that drink beer because
[3:00] Speaker 3: they drink beer all day every day. And me, I
[3:03] Speaker 3: was just, you know, I drink a lot of liquor,
[3:04] Speaker 3: but it wasn't like I drink.
[3:06] Speaker 2: I fifth of liquor every day. You know.
[3:08] Speaker 3: It's probably like by the time I was going in
[3:10] Speaker 3: probably like every two days, every three days. But detox
[3:14] Speaker 3: is pretty much just like being in the hospital. You
[3:16] Speaker 3: just layd in the hospital bed watching murder shows. They're
[3:19] Speaker 3: checking on you every thirty minutes.
[3:21] Speaker 5: Are they giving you medicine so that you don't have
[3:23] Speaker 5: like a withdrawal kind of something or no.
[3:24] Speaker 3: Just I'm saying I got lucky. I didn't have any
[3:26] Speaker 3: withdrawal symptoms or nothing like that, so they didn't have to.
[3:28] Speaker 3: They just put me on like an anxiety medication because
[3:31] Speaker 3: I was just you know, I still was in there
[3:33] Speaker 3: for weed too, and.
[3:34] Speaker 2: We was like my anxiety go to.
[3:36] Speaker 3: So they wanted to give me something, but I didn't need,
[3:38] Speaker 3: you know, like stuff for alcohol stuff.
[3:40] Speaker 2: I didn't. I didn't have no messed up kidney, a
[3:42] Speaker 2: liver or nothing like that.
[3:43] Speaker 4: So SHIP so they did blood work on you and
[3:46] Speaker 4: your health and all that.
[3:47] Speaker 2: SHIP they go up in your asshole they got. I
[3:51] Speaker 2: was in there, nervous, like man, all type of shit.
[3:55] Speaker 5: There was people in there like fucked up, like some
[3:58] Speaker 5: people that were definitely alcohol definitely maybe like life or
[4:01] Speaker 5: alcoholics in there and like like you know.
[4:04] Speaker 3: Because they say, you just can't stop alcohol, just cold turkey,
[4:07] Speaker 3: you might die. You know, certain people they've been drinking
[4:10] Speaker 3: like that for such a period long period of time.
[4:11] Speaker 3: But I, like I said, I think for the most
[4:13] Speaker 3: part of the people that drink a lot of beer,
[4:14] Speaker 3: Like you got to think of a person that wake
[4:16] Speaker 3: up and they can't get out the they can't get
[4:18] Speaker 3: out of bed until they get a beer. Them type
[4:20] Speaker 3: of mothers like that was the ones that was really
[4:22] Speaker 3: like you can see them going through it.
[4:24] Speaker 2: And they would be on these tapers.
[4:25] Speaker 3: They called it taper medication, so they would have to
[4:28] Speaker 3: go to get tapers like we all had like medical,
[4:30] Speaker 3: go get medications and ship.
[4:31] Speaker 2: But I ain't get.
[4:32] Speaker 4: Tapers so that they could wean off of it.
[4:34] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[4:35] Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what my perkosept friend said. He was like,
[4:38] Speaker 5: they give you all the pills at the front. I
[4:40] Speaker 5: was he he was in there for thirty days and
[4:42] Speaker 5: he goes and you get like less and less pills
[4:45] Speaker 5: each day or whatever.
[4:47] Speaker 4: But he goes, but a lot of guys they're so addicted.
[4:49] Speaker 5: They're like they're like hiding the pills in like the
[4:51] Speaker 5: corner of their mouth, and they're trying to like they're
[4:54] Speaker 5: trying to hide the pills from the whatever, the nurses,
[4:59] Speaker 5: I guess. And he said, like it's robbing Peter to
[5:02] Speaker 5: pay Paul because you you're only stealing pills from yourself.
[5:06] Speaker 3: They're trying to wor what they do is they trying
[5:08] Speaker 3: to get enough so they can take a lot at
[5:10] Speaker 3: one time, because they're only giving you just enough to
[5:13] Speaker 3: not really be hiding like that. But if you saved
[5:15] Speaker 3: a few of them, you know what I'm saying, you
[5:17] Speaker 3: problem all at one time, you'd be like, oh, it's
[5:19] Speaker 3: lit
[5:22] Speaker 1: All with a recadre
