[0:34] Speaker 2: Baling with Eric.
[0:35] Speaker 1: Andre Sandy Onig. We're here with the comedian extraordinaire. I
[0:41] Speaker 1: said her name first, which already fund up. The intro
[0:44] Speaker 1: doesn't matter. You've seen her on h one Ciso a Kuwimi.
[0:51] Speaker 3: I love.
[0:56] Speaker 1: Your intro. I don't think cable doesn't.
[0:58] Speaker 3: At this right you.
[1:00] Speaker 1: Have to be mister beasts on YouTube and be like, dude,
[1:02] Speaker 1: I just gave it home this guy five bucks and
[1:05] Speaker 1: people were like, holy shit.
[1:06] Speaker 4: I just thought that he went in like an ancient
[1:08] Speaker 4: Egyptian pyramid tomb.
[1:10] Speaker 1: He hacked the algorithm. I'm like, man, I'm overthinking this
[1:14] Speaker 1: entertainment business. He's just like, dude, I went in a
[1:17] Speaker 1: tomb and guess what I picked toot and commons no,
[1:21] Speaker 1: and people are like forty billion likes.
[1:24] Speaker 3: So I'm like, really crazy.
[1:25] Speaker 4: I only watched one of his videos, which is when
[1:27] Speaker 4: he restores sight.
[1:29] Speaker 3: To the blind.
[1:30] Speaker 4: He's like, but he like does it in this way
[1:33] Speaker 4: where he's like he's like patting.
[1:35] Speaker 1: Himself on the back of little well. I know, I
[1:37] Speaker 1: don't know too much about him. I don't want to
[1:38] Speaker 1: talk about him a lovely guy.
[1:40] Speaker 3: I know he's an absolutely lovely guy.
[1:42] Speaker 1: Mister, I really have known. Why is he called mister beasts?
[1:45] Speaker 1: He doesn't seem beast, you know, he doesn't at all.
[1:47] Speaker 1: He should be called mister regular guys. I thought he
[1:53] Speaker 1: was like, dude, I'm about to drink my blood. Bro
[1:55] Speaker 1: like extreme kind of dude.
[1:57] Speaker 4: He's like, watch me sight the whine. It's like really
[2:02] Speaker 4: crazy because like in the video he's like he does it,
[2:06] Speaker 4: not himself, of course.
[2:07] Speaker 3: But.
[2:10] Speaker 1: Retaches guy's retinas.
[2:12] Speaker 3: It's pretty wild.
[2:14] Speaker 1: Med school in six weeks. Let's see if I get
[2:17] Speaker 1: retached that I'm a bit of a beast when it
[2:22] Speaker 1: comes to the fucking restore carrying glock. Wait, what does
[2:29] Speaker 1: he do does he just hang by the.
[2:30] Speaker 4: Doctor that does like chills there, and then he like
[2:34] Speaker 4: interviews the people who are.
[2:36] Speaker 1: Really doing anything.
[2:37] Speaker 3: Nobody's like paying for it.
[2:39] Speaker 4: Oh I know that he like alternates doing like good
[2:43] Speaker 4: things and then like crazy things where it's like can
[2:45] Speaker 4: you stay in this room with a million bees for
[2:49] Speaker 4: a day?
[2:49] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so that makes him a beast.
[2:51] Speaker 3: I think that's more beat.
[2:52] Speaker 1: That's beast.
[2:53] Speaker 3: You'll, yeah, mister beasting. That's why they pay me the big.
[3:04] Speaker 1: And that's why I'm missus beasts. Well, you're getting married
[3:08] Speaker 1: to the guy.
[3:11] Speaker 3: You know what, mazzle, you know what girls eat?
[3:15] Speaker 1: I get it. I'm married married challenge I marry is
[3:23] Speaker 1: freaking nature. Okay, So the podcast is called Bombing. It's
[3:29] Speaker 1: about bombing.
[3:30] Speaker 3: It's about bombing.
[3:30] Speaker 1: Surprise, surprise if you can actually believe it, and it
[3:35] Speaker 1: doesn't have to just be You don't have to tell
[3:37] Speaker 1: tales of bombing at a show. You can tell tales
[3:39] Speaker 1: of bombing in real life for some awkward time. But
[3:43] Speaker 1: do you have any stories of you bombing on stage?
[3:47] Speaker 1: Maybe episode I've had comedians on like that like, yeah,
[3:54] Speaker 1: I don't really bomb. I'm like that's and you're a
[3:57] Speaker 1: sociopath or you're so neurodivergent, you're like on on Saturn's rings.
[4:03] Speaker 1: That that can't be. That cannot be. That's like being
[4:06] Speaker 1: like a bat a professional basketball player, Like I've never
[4:08] Speaker 1: missed a single shot, Like what are you talking about?
[4:11] Speaker 3: Yes, you have.
[4:12] Speaker 4: Sometimes when people say that, like comedians, and then I
[4:14] Speaker 4: see them perform and it's like or sometimes comedians will perform,
[4:19] Speaker 4: film the set and upload the set online and I go, Okay,
[4:23] Speaker 4: so not only did you not get any laughs in
[4:25] Speaker 4: the room which I can see on the video, but
[4:28] Speaker 4: you thought I'm gonna upload this entire set online because
[4:33] Speaker 4: you're not even thinking about the audience's reactions.
[4:35] Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not. They're never good comics. And b I
[4:38] Speaker 1: think they have like laugh blindness or something. I think
[4:41] Speaker 1: when they're on stage they're in such a heightened state
[4:43] Speaker 1: that they don't really but they're never.
[4:46] Speaker 4: And if they think it's funny, then they're like crushed crush.
[4:50] Speaker 1: Maybe they think bombing means like booed off stage to
[4:54] Speaker 1: the extent where like tomatoes are being thrown versus just
[4:58] Speaker 1: getting no laughs. Me, I'm like I need to laugh
[5:00] Speaker 1: every joke, or I'm like, all right, I fall to pieces.
[5:03] Speaker 3: I feel the same.
[5:03] Speaker 1: I can't I if I missed two in a row.
[5:06] Speaker 1: I'm like that set was a disaster. I'm I'm like
[5:10] Speaker 1: in the fetal position.
[5:11] Speaker 2: I'm sure.
[5:12] Speaker 4: I feel like the worst that I've ever bombed was
[5:14] Speaker 4: probably it was the first time I've ever performed not
[5:16] Speaker 4: in the US, and so.
[5:19] Speaker 3: I was like, where was it. It was in London.
[5:24] Speaker 1: I was like, what crazy country Guinea? It was literally London,
[5:29] Speaker 1: like Toronto, Canada.
[5:31] Speaker 3: Well, I just was like, oh wow, I guess like
[5:34] Speaker 3: things don't.
[5:35] Speaker 4: It was interesting though, because before my set, I was
[5:37] Speaker 4: like going through all the things with the other comics,
[5:41] Speaker 4: being like, what do you call this here?
[5:43] Speaker 3: What do you call this here? Was trying to like
[5:45] Speaker 3: translate it.
[5:46] Speaker 4: It's like they have different words for things, or like
[5:49] Speaker 4: I have a joke about Target, they don't.
[5:51] Speaker 1: It's always the chains and the I'm like, oh fuck,
[5:54] Speaker 1: that jokerlies on pizza hut being the lunch line and
[5:57] Speaker 1: they don't have pizza huts.
[5:58] Speaker 4: Right, And so I it was is a lineup show,
[6:01] Speaker 4: and the host of the show was he's a really.
[6:07] Speaker 3: I would say normal comedians like mister Beast. He's just
[6:11] Speaker 3: like mister Beat. He like gets up, he does crowd work, he.
[6:14] Speaker 1: Does guy yeah, Tom Hanks of comedy Yeah.
[6:18] Speaker 4: And and there another guy on the lineup who was
[6:21] Speaker 4: like a weird.
[6:21] Speaker 3: Guy, and he didn't do so well. And I was like, well,
[6:26] Speaker 3: I'm fucked, like the alternative guy.
[6:29] Speaker 4: The other weird guy is bombing, like this isn't going
[6:32] Speaker 4: to go so well. And I'll say, if I knew
[6:35] Speaker 4: what the vibe of the show was going to be,
[6:37] Speaker 4: I would have worn like a T shirt and jians.
[6:39] Speaker 1: But it was just like a hair girl. I was.
[6:46] Speaker 4: It's like, you know, shame on me because I was
[6:49] Speaker 4: wearing a turquoise jumpsuit and a right a white and
[6:53] Speaker 4: red checkered bow tie. I wanted to dress a little
[6:58] Speaker 4: wacky also because I have a whole bit about like
[7:01] Speaker 4: dressing wacky.
[7:03] Speaker 3: Oh sue me. I dressed like a big clown.
[7:07] Speaker 4: And I definitely felt like as soon as everyone else
[7:11] Speaker 4: on the show T shirt, jeans.
[7:13] Speaker 5: Yeah, they just and also men right and wearing stuff
[7:17] Speaker 5: from like the Gap Clean yes.
[7:19] Speaker 4: And so I think that immediately upon the eyes people
[7:22] Speaker 4: were confused. And when I did my first joke, which
[7:26] Speaker 4: like usually gets you know, big laugh, I'm like building
[7:30] Speaker 4: to the punchline and I get like actual silence. Yeah,
[7:35] Speaker 4: And I was like and I had a twenty minute.
[7:37] Speaker 1: Set and You're like this joke doesn't work.
[7:39] Speaker 3: I was like, oh fuck, Like.
[7:42] Speaker 1: Like I've been in those situations so many times where
[7:44] Speaker 1: I'm like, wow, if the A if the A material
[7:46] Speaker 1: doesn't work, I'm not going to be able to tap
[7:48] Speaker 1: dance into anything. I actually think you should just leave.
[7:53] Speaker 1: I'm like, I kind of know why you want to,
[7:55] Speaker 1: but you want to get paid to.
[7:57] Speaker 4: It was just this weird thing though, where was like
[8:01] Speaker 4: the first joke like not just like titters, like literally
[8:04] Speaker 4: like syless and drop, which I just was shocked at
[8:08] Speaker 4: because I've been doing this bit for a while and
[8:11] Speaker 4: it always gets a big laugh and I was just
[8:13] Speaker 4: was like, oh my god, I have twenty more the
[8:16] Speaker 4: minutes of this was the bit.
[8:17] Speaker 1: Too like American or something? Was it like you know
[8:20] Speaker 1: when you're in Mobile, Alabama and they're like hey or something?
[8:23] Speaker 1: Was it like it was very very American?
[8:26] Speaker 4: Or was it that American? I mean, unless Halloween is
[8:30] Speaker 4: specific to America, but I don't think it is. I
[8:32] Speaker 4: think so it was like I couldn't tell you, and
[8:36] Speaker 4: it was just like I was just like, oh, my
[8:38] Speaker 4: fucking god. So I go through the rest of my
[8:41] Speaker 4: set silence, silence, silence, bowing, moombing. My friend Joe was
[8:45] Speaker 4: there in the back and he said that during my
[8:48] Speaker 4: last joke he heard a guy turn to his friend and.
[8:51] Speaker 3: Go, what is he even going? And I the only time.
[8:57] Speaker 4: They laughed was when I made fun of myself, and
[9:00] Speaker 4: I made fun of what I was wearing, because also,
[9:01] Speaker 4: don't forget turboise jumpsuit, big bow tie, giant bow tie.
[9:06] Speaker 4: The They really laughed when I said, by the way,
[9:09] Speaker 4: in America, everyone dresses like this.
[9:11] Speaker 1: Everyone.
[9:12] Speaker 3: By the way, this is normal in America.
[9:13] Speaker 4: They only laughed when, Yeah, when I made fun of myself,
[9:18] Speaker 4: and then yeah finished out the twenty minutes.
[9:20] Speaker 3: I don't know how.
[9:21] Speaker 4: Longest, walked off stage, walked through the doors, walked into
[9:26] Speaker 4: the bathroom, into a stall closed to the door behind me,
[9:29] Speaker 4: just banged my head and.
[9:32] Speaker 3: I was just like, how how could it have gone
[9:35] Speaker 3: so wrong?
[9:36] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[9:37] Speaker 3: And then I was like, Okay, I guess.
[9:39] Speaker 4: I don't well the other laughs they were except the
[9:42] Speaker 4: other weird guy. He he also was having trouble. It's
[9:45] Speaker 4: usually when I'm on a show where I'm the weird guy. Yeah, yeah,
[9:49] Speaker 4: you know if everybody else is pretty normal and people
[9:52] Speaker 4: just show up thinking they're going to see like I
[9:54] Speaker 4: don't know.
[9:57] Speaker 1: Who I'm trying to think of, like a normal cord like.
[10:00] Speaker 3: Right, you know, a normal guy.
[10:03] Speaker 4: My other like times that I've bombs have also been
[10:06] Speaker 4: like one time I was booked on this show that
[10:08] Speaker 4: was at a youth hostel in Long Island City, which
[10:13] Speaker 4: I didn't even know there were hostels in New York.
[10:15] Speaker 3: There's like two of them.
[10:17] Speaker 4: And I showed up. It was in like the lobby
[10:20] Speaker 4: of a youth hostel.
[10:22] Speaker 1: I've done like almost the same exact.
[10:23] Speaker 3: Show, And as soon as I got there, I.
[10:25] Speaker 1: Was like, it was like the lobby of a youth
[10:28] Speaker 1: hostle in Harlem.
[10:29] Speaker 3: Yeah, and that was like no one spoke English.
[10:34] Speaker 1: German tourists.
[10:35] Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, they all just looked at you like they
[10:38] Speaker 4: were smiling.
[10:39] Speaker 3: They were happy to but they had no idea what
[10:42] Speaker 3: any of us were saying. So that was one of
[10:44] Speaker 3: the few shows where.
[10:45] Speaker 1: Why do we do this? I don't know ourselves that
[10:49] Speaker 1: point of that.
[10:50] Speaker 4: Sometimes there were just shows I would be booked on,
[10:52] Speaker 4: like when I was first starting in New York, where
[10:54] Speaker 4: it was just like I'd show up anywhere anyone told
[10:56] Speaker 4: me to show up, and you just assumed that when
[10:59] Speaker 4: someone else's running a show they are professional.
[11:01] Speaker 1: No, they're crazy crazy, They're oblivious, idiotic, moron, crazy lunatics
[11:08] Speaker 1: that are like so disconnected from reality that they're like
[11:13] Speaker 1: the lobby of a hostel in Long Island.
[11:16] Speaker 3: This is where we're going to do the show.
[11:18] Speaker 1: Comedy will just fucking blossom.
[11:20] Speaker 3: It's really because you came up in New York.
[11:22] Speaker 1: Also, yeah, I heard Jerry Seinfeld. He goes, I won't
[11:26] Speaker 1: even do a show. He goes, I'll never do outside shows.
[11:30] Speaker 1: Nobody can pay attention. And he goes, I don't even
[11:32] Speaker 1: like doing shows where there's circular tables because fifty percent
[11:36] Speaker 1: of the audience has their back to Yeah, so think
[11:39] Speaker 1: about how sensitive comedy is as a medium. Where Jerry
[11:42] Speaker 1: Seinfeld at the top of comedy mountain is like, h
[11:46] Speaker 1: circular tables pass.
[11:49] Speaker 4: So I never understand at comedy clubs they are all
[11:52] Speaker 4: at the circular tables and people are sitting like well
[11:54] Speaker 4: he means like.
[11:55] Speaker 1: Big wedding table like banking, not little like bar tops
[12:00] Speaker 1: like big ten seedter wedding tables. Because he's like, you
[12:04] Speaker 1: got five people at each table, like they're like like
[12:07] Speaker 1: this or this right, So that's not conducive. Comedy outside
[12:14] Speaker 1: is not conducive. I did a concert before, like a
[12:17] Speaker 1: like a want to be knockoff Coachella, where I had
[12:19] Speaker 1: to host and bring up all the bands, so it
[12:22] Speaker 1: was like a ten hour set and it was uncomedyable.
[12:27] Speaker 3: Yeah. Well it's like everybody's looking every round.
[12:31] Speaker 1: So yeah, everybody's looking around, there's noise everywhere, everybody's on
[12:36] Speaker 1: tons of drugs. It's boiling. It was like really hot.
[12:39] Speaker 1: So people were just like on like whatever Ketemie and Rabatussa,
[12:43] Speaker 1: I'm like waiting for you know, Danny Brown and Idols
[12:49] Speaker 1: to play or whoever, and there are other bands playing
[12:52] Speaker 1: and so many distractions. They're just like, uh, you can't
[12:54] Speaker 1: be like, hey, what's the deal with the new iPhone update?
[12:59] Speaker 1: And that's your new and that's my only bet that
[13:01] Speaker 1: was what's the iPhone out dated?
[13:06] Speaker 3: You have to write one every time.
[13:07] Speaker 4: There's a new update, every update, like crash on it
[13:11] Speaker 4: and the iOS.
[13:14] Speaker 1: People, Hello, Tim Cook, please.
[13:17] Speaker 3: Have you seen the new oj.
[13:22] Speaker 1: Wait? So you know, Tim Cook went back after the inauguration,
[13:25] Speaker 1: he went to the other headhunches at apples like should
[13:29] Speaker 1: we get rid of our DEI initiative? And they were like, no,
[13:32] Speaker 1: that's like completely inappropriate that you would even ask that,
[13:35] Speaker 1: like should we stop hiring black people? Is that what
[13:38] Speaker 1: you're kind of saying? Like Mark Zuckerberg was liked, no
[13:42] Speaker 1: fucking problem, whatever, whatever, But I like it that everybody
[13:46] Speaker 1: at Apple was like, no, man's right.
[13:51] Speaker 4: It's so crazy that the president can just be like,
[13:54] Speaker 4: no more of that and then everyone just does it.
[13:57] Speaker 3: It's like, what do you think he's gonna do to you?
[13:59] Speaker 1: It's well, they're like puppeteering him. It's like this billionaire
[14:03] Speaker 1: play where like Elon Musk like in his brain is
[14:05] Speaker 1: the pro He's the guy that pen pals back of
[14:11] Speaker 1: its fourteen hundred something.
[14:14] Speaker 4: Really silly happened to me where I everyone was like
[14:17] Speaker 4: talking to me about like and can you believe what
[14:19] Speaker 4: Elon Musk is doing and all this stuff? And I
[14:21] Speaker 4: was like, why have I not seen anything about him?
[14:26] Speaker 4: Like I feel like I miss I was like, are
[14:29] Speaker 4: they like not reporting on it? And it's like word
[14:30] Speaker 4: of mouth? And then I realized that I had his
[14:33] Speaker 4: name muted, his account muted any like iteration because when
[14:38] Speaker 4: he bought Twitter everyone was tweeting about him so much.
[14:41] Speaker 4: I was just like shut up, like I can't hear
[14:44] Speaker 4: about it anymore. And he was like made all of
[14:47] Speaker 4: his tweets the top of everybody's feed, and so I
[14:49] Speaker 4: had just muted him across everything, and then I was like, wow,
[14:52] Speaker 4: people really low key fell off man.
[14:56] Speaker 1: He's he's he's doing like press junks in the Oval
[15:00] Speaker 1: office and Trump's just sitting there like like clearly doesn't
[15:04] Speaker 1: want the job, just didn't want to go to jail.
[15:08] Speaker 1: So like, Trump's I got the job. He hates again,
[15:10] Speaker 1: but he's too narcissistic to like say no to it.
[15:12] Speaker 1: So he's like and he's too good at campaigning. He's like, hey,
[15:15] Speaker 1: you want French fries, I'm work at McDonald's now. America's
[15:18] Speaker 1: like he's like, I'm giving out bold shoes. And he's
[15:24] Speaker 1: too good at campaigning because he's a stand up comic
[15:26] Speaker 1: with no jokes. He loves touring, so he loves He's
[15:30] Speaker 1: really good. He loves touring. He's great at campaigning to Americans,
[15:34] Speaker 1: talk about.
[15:35] Speaker 4: A dude who doesn't bomb never never.
[15:39] Speaker 1: He's so good at campaigning and now he's got the
[15:42] Speaker 1: job I got. He's like oh yeah, fuck I hate this. Yeah, Elon,
[15:45] Speaker 1: you want to take it away? And then Elon's kid
[15:46] Speaker 1: was in the Oval office talking ship to Trump terry thing.
[15:50] Speaker 1: He's like, you're ugly, go away. You shuck all the
[15:53] Speaker 1: ship And Trump's like, oh yeah, take it away, dude.
[15:58] Speaker 1: Planes are falling out of the sky. He's like, got
[16:00] Speaker 1: the SAAE, He's got the FAA. The guy that ran
[16:06] Speaker 1: the FAD quit day one. He's like, fuck Trump. And
[16:09] Speaker 1: then like then like Eli's like, I'll use all that buddy,
[16:12] Speaker 1: just like got the planes are like ship. I just
[16:17] Speaker 1: watched the Delta fucking like crash upside out. It was like, god, ship,
[16:21] Speaker 1: we needed that money.
[16:22] Speaker 2: Comebo.
[16:23] Speaker 1: That was such a disaster.
[16:27] Speaker 3: The first few days.
[16:29] Speaker 4: It was like a plane crash every day.
[16:32] Speaker 1: I don't remember. It was like it was a military
[16:35] Speaker 1: helicopter into a plane in Washington, d C. The most
[16:39] Speaker 1: it should be the most regulated aviation, you know what
[16:43] Speaker 1: I mean. It's like the military in Washington, d C
[16:47] Speaker 1: with a plane in Washington, d C. Like they should
[16:50] Speaker 1: have like the most FAA eyeballs on him. And it
[16:52] Speaker 1: was just like come But then Trump's like, yeah, you
[16:55] Speaker 1: just should have hired black people. I was like we're black.
[16:57] Speaker 3: People were like, was it the in a diversity thing?
[17:01] Speaker 1: Yeah? It was like were the pilots diverse or the
[17:05] Speaker 1: helicopter guy or the what do you mean?
[17:08] Speaker 2: What do you mean?
[17:08] Speaker 1: He's like, I don't know, man, and he's like, it's
[17:10] Speaker 1: also Biden's fault. We're like, you're dune campaigning. You won.
[17:14] Speaker 1: You don't got to talk about Biden anymore. You're in charge.
[17:16] Speaker 3: He's dead.
[17:18] Speaker 1: Biden died twenty years ago. Jim Carrey is playing him.
[17:23] Speaker 3: Jim Carrey is Joe Biden. Wait Wood was.
[17:28] Speaker 1: Love that that was reality. It was like somebody like me.
[17:39] Speaker 2: With a recdre.
[17:49] Speaker 1: With a codre more bombing stories, got any.
[17:54] Speaker 2: Stories?
[17:55] Speaker 4: I mean, we'll sort of we we bombed on the network.
[17:59] Speaker 4: I'd say, oh yeah, it was pretty bad.
[18:04] Speaker 1: What do you mean? I never asked for ratings?
[18:05] Speaker 2: Do you know that?
[18:06] Speaker 1: It was always told that. I was like, don't tell me.
[18:10] Speaker 1: I was like, tell me, you get another season, but
[18:12] Speaker 1: don't tell me anything else.
[18:13] Speaker 4: It wasn't so much about the ratings as much as
[18:15] Speaker 4: it was we were the first women on the network,
[18:19] Speaker 4: our first female show on the network, right, and.
[18:24] Speaker 3: The audience just like kind of wanted us dead.
[18:27] Speaker 1: Like Reddit people like internet audience or what you mean.
[18:30] Speaker 3: Yeah, like Internet like any time.
[18:32] Speaker 1: I don't think Internet audience is real anymore.
[18:34] Speaker 4: It's like I know, but they would certainly find ways
[18:39] Speaker 4: to send messages and leave comments that were not so
[18:42] Speaker 4: really not so naise. It was like before the show
[18:45] Speaker 4: even happened. Oh, we got like lumped in with like
[18:49] Speaker 4: when Million Dollar Extreme got canceled.
[18:52] Speaker 3: Do you remember that show?
[18:53] Speaker 1: It was like right wing sexist broke like eight Channers.
[18:58] Speaker 3: It was like around the same time that that happened,
[19:00] Speaker 3: So it was.
[19:01] Speaker 1: Like angry eight chan energy you got like kicked over
[19:04] Speaker 1: to you guys.
[19:04] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[19:05] Speaker 4: The one thing that someone said where they saw a
[19:12] Speaker 4: photo of the three of us and they called us
[19:15] Speaker 4: the Mexican, the Jewish, and Lago Blina And we were like, okay,
[19:20] Speaker 4: who's who. Like we were all like, well, I'm definitely
[19:25] Speaker 4: go Blina. All we're convinced that we were Logo Blina.
[19:29] Speaker 4: But yeah, I still if whoever left that comment, if
[19:33] Speaker 4: you could let us know who was who, that would
[19:36] Speaker 4: be really great.
[19:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, but is that like the time to just like
[19:39] Speaker 1: turn off comments?
[19:40] Speaker 3: And totally it was like.
[19:43] Speaker 1: The people yell at me about ship on an Instagram
[19:47] Speaker 1: post that I don't even think is offensive, and then
[19:50] Speaker 1: not a single person in real life will come up
[19:52] Speaker 1: to me and be like, you posted that, you know
[19:54] Speaker 1: what I mean?
[19:55] Speaker 4: Like it's like, yeah, well, it was like the first
[19:58] Speaker 4: time we ever had anyone really paying attention to us,
[20:03] Speaker 4: so I think we didn't.
[20:04] Speaker 1: Know it and an extra sensitivity because you're like, oh,
[20:08] Speaker 1: I'll look at what the feedback is.
[20:10] Speaker 4: It would just be like anytime Adult Swim posted anything about.
[20:14] Speaker 1: I didn't know you guys were getting.
[20:17] Speaker 4: Yeah, just a lot of like women aren't funny, people
[20:20] Speaker 4: work like swastikas in there.
[20:23] Speaker 1: You could, Yeah, I have to worry about them.
[20:26] Speaker 4: Actually, you know what, one hurt? This one hurt. Okay,
[20:29] Speaker 4: So one time I was looking on at because of
[20:33] Speaker 4: course it was like the first time. I was just like, oh,
[20:35] Speaker 4: what are people saying?
[20:37] Speaker 1: I did the same thing too season one Aericon Show,
[20:39] Speaker 1: and I quickly quickly pivoted in my.
[20:42] Speaker 3: Approach to massive mistake.
[20:45] Speaker 4: But I remember seeing a comment from a guy that
[20:48] Speaker 4: I knew who was just like I know Sandy and
[20:52] Speaker 4: we had worked together like years ago, and I was.
[20:54] Speaker 3: Like, oh, it's like so sweet.
[20:57] Speaker 4: Like he was, and then the next video he also
[21:00] Speaker 4: commented women aren't funny on us, and I was like,
[21:03] Speaker 4: I almost sent him a message, and then I was.
[21:05] Speaker 3: Like, don't do it, don't do it, don't do it.
[21:07] Speaker 4: But it hurt coming from someone that I literally know.
[21:10] Speaker 4: I was used to sleep on the floor of my room. No,
[21:13] Speaker 4: that's crazy, really not so nice.
[21:16] Speaker 1: Why why do female comedians have it so rough?
[21:19] Speaker 2: Is it?
[21:19] Speaker 1: People are like Chauvinis just like can't stand that women
[21:24] Speaker 1: have an opinion? Is it? Is it? Like I heard
[21:27] Speaker 1: youd Gold break it down one time, She's like, comedy
[21:30] Speaker 1: means you have a point of view and an opinion,
[21:32] Speaker 1: And there's billions of men that.
[21:35] Speaker 2: Are like don't you can't.
[21:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's deeper than just women aren't funny.
[21:39] Speaker 4: It's like right, it's like women aren't funny slash like
[21:42] Speaker 4: women don't understand how the world works.
[21:44] Speaker 1: Or aren't allowed to have a point of viewer or
[21:49] Speaker 1: a pair or worldview.
[21:50] Speaker 4: Well, I also feel that, like I don't know when
[21:53] Speaker 4: I think about like people who say that kind of stuff,
[21:56] Speaker 4: they usually probably have wives who they hate or they
[22:00] Speaker 4: wis where they don't have wives, and like maybe it's
[22:04] Speaker 4: this thing of like they think of women as just
[22:07] Speaker 4: like these like nagging shrews, and so they're like, you
[22:12] Speaker 4: don't get to laugh, Like you're the one who's shaking
[22:15] Speaker 4: your finger.
[22:18] Speaker 3: Or their mom.
[22:19] Speaker 4: Probably they're like, you don't get to laugh. Laughing is
[22:22] Speaker 4: for me. Laughing is for me and my friends while
[22:24] Speaker 4: we hear off next to each other.
[22:26] Speaker 1: But you yeah, yeah.
[22:33] Speaker 4: They should have at the comedy Store a little room
[22:34] Speaker 4: called the goon Room where the women can.
[22:36] Speaker 3: Perform and in the audience.
[22:40] Speaker 4: Well, I do remember recently I drove by the Improv
[22:43] Speaker 4: and I remember seeing a sign that said on Mondays,
[22:48] Speaker 4: the ladies get the laughs. And in my head, I
[22:51] Speaker 4: was like, the worst day of the week to do
[22:54] Speaker 4: a show.
[22:56] Speaker 5: The girls can go on Monday, have to perform on
[23:00] Speaker 5: the weekend.
[23:02] Speaker 4: Any other day, just Monday, please please, I'm begging to
[23:06] Speaker 4: perform on a Monday night. What do you think is
[23:11] Speaker 4: the worst day of the week to do a show.
[23:13] Speaker 1: I weirdly feel like Sunday might be even worse. People
[23:17] Speaker 1: are like spent from the weekend partying and they're dreading
[23:22] Speaker 1: the week and they have the Sunday scaries and they're
[23:25] Speaker 1: like checked out.
[23:26] Speaker 3: It feels like every other day Monday is not great.
[23:29] Speaker 3: Tuesday it feels good.
[23:31] Speaker 1: It gets better the closer you get to the weekend.
[23:33] Speaker 3: But then GPS again.
[23:35] Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Wednesday's hump day. You're like you're in the
[23:38] Speaker 1: taint of the week.
[23:38] Speaker 3: I think Wednday's hump day. Time to go to.
[23:45] Speaker 2: With a regardrey with a regardrey.
[23:57] Speaker 1: What about bombing in front of your am you get
[24:00] Speaker 1: a story like that family. Honestly, have you been really
[24:04] Speaker 1: high on stage or something?
[24:07] Speaker 3: At the Youth Hostel show, I got really.
[24:09] Speaker 5: High because I just I looked at the audience and
[24:14] Speaker 5: I was like what I literally was like whatever, Like
[24:17] Speaker 5: I know that these people literally are looking at me
[24:21] Speaker 5: with the eyes of someone who is hearing sounds but
[24:25] Speaker 5: not interpreting words.
[24:26] Speaker 3: Does that make sense? Like hither?
[24:30] Speaker 4: Yeah, And they were just looking at me where they
[24:32] Speaker 4: were like and it was like, oh okay, Like I'm
[24:35] Speaker 4: going to go get like rip roaring stoned before this
[24:38] Speaker 4: because I kind of don't want to like be present
[24:41] Speaker 4: for this kind of I want to be somewhere else.
[24:46] Speaker 4: So I did get pretty high before that. When I
[24:48] Speaker 4: have no recollection of like what I said or did.
[24:51] Speaker 4: I probably just talked.
[24:52] Speaker 1: To people, Yeah, probably the right thing.
[24:56] Speaker 4: Yeah, it was like, oh, I'm going to get up
[24:58] Speaker 4: and like tell my rehearse jokes.
[25:00] Speaker 1: I think you did the right thing in London when
[25:02] Speaker 1: you just started like making fun of like your outfit.
[25:06] Speaker 1: At that point, you're like, why why do my rehearse material?
[25:09] Speaker 3: Right?
[25:10] Speaker 1: Why not?
[25:10] Speaker 3: You guys are clearly hating.
[25:12] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[25:12] Speaker 1: Yeah, just started digging into them. Yeah that's what already
[25:15] Speaker 1: Fuqua said. He goes, when I start bombing, I just
[25:17] Speaker 1: start ripping into each and every audience member because there's
[25:20] Speaker 1: like what else is there? Like they don't want what
[25:23] Speaker 1: I'm selling, so as well just like go in and Yeah.
[25:27] Speaker 4: I did have a show actually at that same venue
[25:29] Speaker 4: in London after that one. It was crazy because I
[25:32] Speaker 4: did the same show two days later with a different
[25:34] Speaker 4: host and crushed and it was a smaller audience, but
[25:37] Speaker 4: it was like the host was like a queer cabaret dude.
[25:41] Speaker 4: So it was just like a different audience that seemed
[25:44] Speaker 4: a little more down.
[25:45] Speaker 1: I think like if you go to a R and
[25:48] Speaker 1: B show and a punk band play, is they're only
[25:50] Speaker 1: going to go so do so well.
[25:52] Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's like, you know, I just remember it a.
[25:57] Speaker 1: Big stinker.
[25:58] Speaker 3: So opening for a band is one of the worst experience.
[26:04] Speaker 1: It's Sarah does it. I know, I don't know how
[26:07] Speaker 1: she's getting like good at it too. It's like I
[26:09] Speaker 1: think it's the hardest thing, to the point where I
[26:12] Speaker 1: was just like I give up.
[26:14] Speaker 4: Yeah, this was one that standing.
[26:17] Speaker 3: First of all, I forget that that music shows.
[26:20] Speaker 4: People don't show up at the time of the show
[26:23] Speaker 4: because they know the headliner goes on like two hours later.
[26:26] Speaker 4: So I was expecting to walk out and see a
[26:29] Speaker 4: full This is that lodge room. It's like a pretty
[26:31] Speaker 4: big room, and I was like, Okay, I'm gonna walk
[26:34] Speaker 4: out and there's gonna be like this big crowd.
[26:36] Speaker 3: Not at all.
[26:37] Speaker 4: People were absolutely trickling in. And I was doing a
[26:42] Speaker 4: character that I call the Quief of comedy, which is
[26:50] Speaker 4: I can quef on command, so you.
[26:54] Speaker 1: Can throw up on command too, which is like amazing. Yeah,
[26:58] Speaker 1: it's like the guys can't even do Yeah, Like I
[27:02] Speaker 1: think only Steve O possesses your like you can read vomit.
[27:06] Speaker 3: No, I really can't.
[27:07] Speaker 1: That's pretty crazy, even when I don't want to. Vomiting
[27:10] Speaker 1: on command is somehow even more aggressive. But comedy.
[27:17] Speaker 3: I was doing the Queen of comedy, which is.
[27:18] Speaker 1: That you just put the microphone to your vaginay is
[27:22] Speaker 1: that it?
[27:25] Speaker 3: Well, it's like I'm telling jokes as well.
[27:28] Speaker 4: It'll be like these corny, corny, corny jokes that I write.
[27:32] Speaker 3: Actually some of them are the band it was Hunks
[27:35] Speaker 3: and His Punks. Do you know Seth Bogart.
[27:37] Speaker 4: He's an amazing artist and he has this like punk
[27:39] Speaker 4: band that they like they used to perform like ten
[27:42] Speaker 4: years ago and they're doing another.
[27:45] Speaker 3: Album. So they did a show.
[27:46] Speaker 4: This was like some point over the summer, and he
[27:50] Speaker 4: specifically requested the Quief of Comedy because he loves her.
[27:54] Speaker 4: And a lot of the jokes actually are rejected monologue
[27:58] Speaker 4: jokes that I wrote for your because it was like,
[28:02] Speaker 4: you know, when we just sit down and write for
[28:04] Speaker 4: ten minutes, it's like the worst.
[28:05] Speaker 3: Jokes you can think of.
[28:08] Speaker 4: They were so bad they didn't even make it into
[28:10] Speaker 4: the So it's like that level of joke.
[28:14] Speaker 3: And then after like and I can I have a
[28:20] Speaker 3: lot of control over it.
[28:21] Speaker 4: I can control like if it's like a loud one
[28:24] Speaker 4: or if it's like a quiet.
[28:27] Speaker 3: Like so I'll like jump around.
[28:30] Speaker 1: So we were walking into the venue, what did you
[28:33] Speaker 1: see the Hunks of Punks or whatever?
[28:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, and they're seeing that. And also it was like.
[28:39] Speaker 1: So you just look like you were a roadie for
[28:41] Speaker 1: the band lost your mind because.
[28:47] Speaker 3: You know, people were looking at me just like.
[28:51] Speaker 4: They were laughing, because like you can't sort of watch
[28:57] Speaker 4: that and not be laughing.
[28:58] Speaker 3: But I don't know if they knew that they were
[28:59] Speaker 3: laughing thing with we were at me?
[29:01] Speaker 1: Yeah and whatever.
[29:04] Speaker 4: That was like the one time performing where I really
[29:06] Speaker 4: felt like I was like in a circus side show.
[29:09] Speaker 3: Like it was The Weeping Woman. Oh my god. I
[29:15] Speaker 3: would have loved to be in a side show.
[29:18] Speaker 1: Like a world Like what do you mean like a circus,
[29:22] Speaker 1: like a circus freaking kind of like like you wanted
[29:25] Speaker 1: to be genetically deformed? Yeah, yeah, but like like elevant,
[29:31] Speaker 1: what are you talking here?
[29:32] Speaker 4: I guess just the concept of it sounds, you know,
[29:34] Speaker 4: it's it's obviously probably really bad.
[29:38] Speaker 1: It's explained genetic defense. Yeah. Years ago they're like, yeah,
[29:49] Speaker 1: repetties and he's kind of a fun arm growing out
[29:52] Speaker 1: of the face.
[29:53] Speaker 3: Yeah, sick. I would have been sick. I don't know what.
[29:59] Speaker 4: In my head, I was, well, you get to go
[30:00] Speaker 4: to you get to be part of the circuits, travel
[30:03] Speaker 4: the world, see the.
[30:04] Speaker 3: Sites, weep into a microphone, into the microphone.
[30:08] Speaker 1: You know what I think Sarah figured out that's smart
[30:10] Speaker 1: is that she uses the big screen behind her. And
[30:14] Speaker 1: you know, because those those music shows, it's like a
[30:19] Speaker 1: it's like it's like you gotta think about it, like
[30:22] Speaker 1: you're shooting in a really wide frame, like you have
[30:24] Speaker 1: to fill up the space. And using that screen and
[30:27] Speaker 1: her visuals that I was like, Aha, that's how she
[30:31] Speaker 1: did because Hannibal kind of started doing that too. He
[30:33] Speaker 1: was like using multimedia, Like that's the way, that's the way,
[30:38] Speaker 1: using that screen. I don't think it's cheating at all.
[30:40] Speaker 1: I'd like, first of all, I love carrat top and
[30:42] Speaker 1: I don't know anybody made fun of him in the nineties,
[30:44] Speaker 1: Like I was like, by the way, I was like, yeah,
[30:46] Speaker 1: prop comedy, like why not use props?
[30:48] Speaker 3: And his number one fan.
[30:49] Speaker 1: Like I used props on the air Andre show, like
[30:52] Speaker 1: make props use a prop? Why is that?
[30:53] Speaker 4: It was also a literal genius he I saw his
[30:57] Speaker 4: show in Vegas and oh my god, he let us
[31:00] Speaker 4: come backstage.
[31:01] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[31:01] Speaker 4: I was with Sarah actually, and we like he just
[31:06] Speaker 4: talked to him for like an hour and he just
[31:09] Speaker 4: was like telling us he writes like five minutes of
[31:11] Speaker 4: new material every day.
[31:13] Speaker 1: Every day. He has a ton, a tremendous amount of material.
[31:16] Speaker 1: He's been doing it for forty years and like worth
[31:20] Speaker 1: like hundreds of millions of dollars and then playing Vegas
[31:23] Speaker 1: every day for that. I love that years. Honestly, you
[31:27] Speaker 1: got to give it up.
[31:27] Speaker 3: You've got to give.
[31:28] Speaker 1: It a perseverance because he got so shipped on in
[31:31] Speaker 1: the nineties. I know, comedy that's whack character fucking cart
[31:36] Speaker 1: that's a rough name to like have. You know, it's
[31:38] Speaker 1: an easy guy to pick up.
[31:39] Speaker 3: He had gone by Scott, maybe he would have.
[31:41] Speaker 1: Known my Scott, I would have been a little less
[31:42] Speaker 1: of a pounding, but like whatever, make props? Like what
[31:45] Speaker 1: why are there rules? Like makee people laugh? As a fuck?
[31:49] Speaker 4: I'm actually working on a set that is like a
[31:51] Speaker 4: prop thing, and I'm like really excited.
[31:54] Speaker 1: Because i I'm actually like, why don't I do prop
[31:58] Speaker 1: comedy anytime? I was like like why not? He Also,
[32:02] Speaker 1: when I watched Sarah and some of Hannibal's multimedia stuff,
[32:05] Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, use the whole stage, Like what is
[32:07] Speaker 1: this vaudeville? Like, gives a fuck? We're in the twenty
[32:10] Speaker 1: first century.
[32:11] Speaker 4: I know sometimes people would be like, oh, like doing
[32:13] Speaker 4: a PowerPoint is hack or whatever, and I'm like, is
[32:15] Speaker 4: the audience laughing?
[32:16] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[32:16] Speaker 1: Is the audience laughing?
[32:17] Speaker 3: That's all that matters.
[32:18] Speaker 1: Here's what the medium.
[32:19] Speaker 3: All that matters is the.
[32:20] Speaker 1: Audience that matters. You know what those people are. They're
[32:23] Speaker 1: not successful, they're not that funny say that. They are haters.
[32:28] Speaker 3: They're haters.
[32:29] Speaker 1: They're fucking haters. Yeah, that's a problem with comedy. It's
[32:32] Speaker 1: like surrounded by bitterer, entitled people with personality disorders.
[32:36] Speaker 3: It's rough.
[32:37] Speaker 1: It's rough, man. I thought it'd be more fun when
[32:40] Speaker 1: I started comedy. I was like, Oh, it's going to
[32:42] Speaker 1: be a group of the most fun people ever. And
[32:46] Speaker 1: it's misery.
[32:47] Speaker 4: Everywhere, bidder so much, big, mad at the world. Sometimes
[32:53] Speaker 4: mad in a way where it's like they don't even
[32:56] Speaker 4: know what they're mad at.
[32:57] Speaker 3: Some of these comics.
[32:58] Speaker 4: Yeah, they like hate every thing, shit on everything, but
[33:01] Speaker 4: they're really sensitive and if you say anything that is
[33:04] Speaker 4: like slightly degrading to them, they are like, how fucking
[33:08] Speaker 4: dare you?
[33:08] Speaker 3: And it's like my thought.
[33:09] Speaker 4: We were like joking around and the whole thing is
[33:11] Speaker 4: that you think everything sucks.
[33:13] Speaker 1: I know, it well, well you want to wrap it
[33:16] Speaker 1: up or it's another bomb. Did I step on the
[33:18] Speaker 1: rest of your queen story?
[33:20] Speaker 3: No, that was basically it.
[33:24] Speaker 4: Someone got mad at me when I did that bit
[33:27] Speaker 4: once because I had a joke in it, like towards
[33:29] Speaker 4: the end that like my mom was dying and then
[33:32] Speaker 4: it was like basically her dying words were and then
[33:35] Speaker 4: I quef again and this person you know, it takes
[33:42] Speaker 4: a week to recoup. But no, there was a point
[33:48] Speaker 4: where I was doing it a lot right after COVID.
[33:52] Speaker 4: It was like the first bit that I did because
[33:55] Speaker 4: I was a little too afraid to do stand up
[33:57] Speaker 4: again after COVID.
[33:58] Speaker 1: Oh, I think you meant after the quief, I'm ready cleeved.
[34:03] Speaker 3: I was too afraaidy to do I just like after
[34:05] Speaker 3: COVID was like.
[34:06] Speaker 1: Yeah, I haven't really got back to it. Yeah, I did,
[34:09] Speaker 1: like your show. Once I bombed, I did Steph tolev show,
[34:12] Speaker 1: which was awesome because she stayed on stage with me
[34:17] Speaker 1: and like riffed so like I couldn't bomb, like if
[34:20] Speaker 1: I had a joke that was so so she would
[34:22] Speaker 1: just go and like save it from and her audience
[34:26] Speaker 1: just loves her. And I did Michael Michael Jay's show.
[34:30] Speaker 1: He wouldn't let me not go on. I was like, no, no,
[34:32] Speaker 1: I'm just coming here to hang out. He goes, you're
[34:34] Speaker 1: going on, and I go, nah, I don't do stand
[34:36] Speaker 1: up anymore. He goes, yeah, you do, and I go, nah,
[34:38] Speaker 1: really I haven't. He goes, you're coming out, and then
[34:40] Speaker 1: he just walked out. He goes, ladies and gentlemen, I have
[34:42] Speaker 1: a special guest, Heiric Codgy. He like forced me out,
[34:44] Speaker 1: but he's like, I'll stay on stage with you and
[34:46] Speaker 1: I won't let you suffer. So then like him and
[34:50] Speaker 1: Wilson Vans came out and like they helped me. Like
[34:53] Speaker 1: that's pretty much the three shows I've done since, but
[34:57] Speaker 1: not Eric Andre Show tour. Like all the media stuff
[34:59] Speaker 1: like stand up stand up is like.
[35:02] Speaker 3: I don't know, like I have the motivation to do
[35:03] Speaker 3: it anymore.
[35:04] Speaker 4: I'm struggling to find it at this point because like
[35:07] Speaker 4: I'm not really working towards an hour necessarily. I don't
[35:12] Speaker 4: really like have the drive to do that. So then
[35:14] Speaker 4: it's then hard to be like, Okay, I'll do like
[35:17] Speaker 4: ten minutes on this random show. But then I feel
[35:20] Speaker 4: a little bit like to what end I feel like
[35:22] Speaker 4: I've lost the point, lost the pot, you.
[35:25] Speaker 1: Know, same. I want to get back into it. But
[35:28] Speaker 1: if I'm working on other stuff all day, or writing
[35:33] Speaker 1: or thinking of brainstorming other stuff all day, or actually shooting,
[35:37] Speaker 1: I don't really feel like blabbing into a microphone.
[35:41] Speaker 2: Right.
[35:41] Speaker 4: It's also gotten to a point where it's like, if
[35:44] Speaker 4: you have a show that doesn't feel amazing, you're sort
[35:48] Speaker 4: of like, why did I put myself through this? Like
[35:51] Speaker 4: if it feels okay, that to me feels like similar
[35:55] Speaker 4: to bombing. Yeah, it's just like unless I'm walking away
[35:58] Speaker 4: being like I fucking rush, I'm so funny, Like you know,
[36:02] Speaker 4: it's like otherwise I'm like, what did I put Like
[36:06] Speaker 4: why am I putting myself through so much anxiety?
[36:09] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[36:09] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[36:10] Speaker 1: So at night I have trouble sleeping, so I don't
[36:12] Speaker 1: want to like rev up my adrenaline at night. Yeah,
[36:15] Speaker 1: it doesn't feel healthy.
[36:17] Speaker 3: When I did that Vice show with Zach.
[36:19] Speaker 1: And Tony, Yes, this show we.
[36:23] Speaker 4: Were together when it got canceled. I was in your
[36:25] Speaker 4: writer's room that you and me and Zach were there
[36:31] Speaker 4: that filmed at eleven at night, and for the first
[36:35] Speaker 4: while it was a two hour long show, so I
[36:37] Speaker 4: wouldn't get to bed until I don't even know what time,
[36:40] Speaker 4: and I was like so like stimulated from doing it.
[36:43] Speaker 4: It was like really really tough on my sleep.
[36:46] Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Sandy, everybody. We did it.
[36:51] Speaker 2: We did it with a red.
