[0:08] Speaker 1: did this and I can't remember who they were, like before, God,
[0:11] Speaker 1: I want don't remember. I want to say it's Brooks Wheeland,
[0:14] Speaker 1: but I can't say for sure. They told me before
[0:17] Speaker 1: they knew that comedy is not music and it doesn't
[0:21] Speaker 1: work in every environment. That there was a Thanksgiving was
[0:24] Speaker 1: a nikicab that told me this story. Somebody was in
[0:26] Speaker 1: a Thanksgiving dinner with their in laws with their like
[0:28] Speaker 1: girlfriend and their family, and the girlfriend's family was like,
[0:32] Speaker 1: you do comedy, why don't you do stand up for us?
[0:34] Speaker 1: And the guy did stand up at the dinner table
[0:38] Speaker 1: for his girlfriend's family and he's like, I've never bummed harder,
[0:42] Speaker 1: and I think it ruined our relationship. Yes, I honestly
[0:45] Speaker 1: think it's part of the reason it ended that because
[0:48] Speaker 1: he was only likez he was he was like a
[0:50] Speaker 1: year in just doing stand up. It wasn't like he
[0:53] Speaker 1: wasn't a veteran by any mean. It was like early days,
[0:55] Speaker 1: like year or two in. And he was like, okay,
[0:59] Speaker 1: and he did and he said it was like a nightmare.
[1:02] Speaker 1: And it was at the beginning of dinner, so it
[1:04] Speaker 1: was just like hours of awkward.
[1:07] Speaker 2: For dessert, that's bizarre the whole thing.
[1:10] Speaker 1: Even after for dessert, it's like, get me out here.
[1:13] Speaker 1: But I did do the same thing when I was
[1:15] Speaker 1: I started when I was twenty, so I was in
[1:17] Speaker 1: college when I started, and my teacher and my material
[1:22] Speaker 1: is very foul, very graphic, and just gross out. It
[1:26] Speaker 1: wasn't funny, it was just gross. It didn't have any
[1:29] Speaker 1: wit to it. It wasn't clever or well crafted. So
[1:33] Speaker 1: my teacher was like, dude, you do stand up and
[1:35] Speaker 1: him in this like very goody goody student. She was
[1:38] Speaker 1: like a waspy blondie like goody goody where it's like,
[1:42] Speaker 1: oh my god, you do comedy. So the two of them,
[1:45] Speaker 1: they're like the class left and they were like, stay
[1:47] Speaker 1: here and do your stand up for us. And I
[1:50] Speaker 1: had a similar experience. I'm just remembering this now, and
[1:52] Speaker 1: he was very I love this teacher is one of
[1:54] Speaker 1: the my favorite teachers in comedy, in comedy in college.
[1:58] Speaker 1: So it's just him and this girl. So it's a
[2:00] Speaker 1: it was a classroom like this with two people, one
[2:03] Speaker 1: teacher and one very uptight like four point zero GPA
[2:07] Speaker 1: goodie good evaluatorian typing girl and I did like the rap.
[2:11] Speaker 1: My opening joke used to be so anyway, my dad's
[2:13] Speaker 1: dick is huge. I walked in and I'm taking a
[2:16] Speaker 1: piss and I thought he was holding a quiz no,
[2:18] Speaker 1: sub I thought. When I was nineteen, I was like,
[2:20] Speaker 1: that's hilarious. That's hilarious.
[2:22] Speaker 2: Now I'm like, that's a good bit. He's bringing the
[2:24] Speaker 2: big back.
[2:25] Speaker 1: And then and then the rest of it was like
[2:27] Speaker 1: snuff footage but comedy, you know what I mean.
[2:29] Speaker 2: It was just fucking disgust.
[2:30] Speaker 1: It was just poop and pee and shit, and I.
[2:33] Speaker 3: Like my act now, to be honest, I'm feeling embarrassed
[2:35] Speaker 3: that you're like this smut and I'm like, oh right.
[2:38] Speaker 2: You're like, don't see me at yuk yock sweet give
[2:41] Speaker 2: me and you did it. I did it.
[2:44] Speaker 1: It was horrible. It was It was the equivalent to
[2:46] Speaker 1: the Thanksgiving doing the thing. I think the Thanksgiving is
[2:48] Speaker 1: worse because the only thing doing stand up at Thanksgiving
[2:52] Speaker 1: for your own parents, the only other the only thing
[2:55] Speaker 1: that could be like more ninth Circle of Hell is
[2:58] Speaker 1: doing it for your girlfriend spared.
[3:00] Speaker 2: Way worse, way worse. That's so fucked up.
[3:04] Speaker 1: I'm gonna text Nick Cobb and I think that's Nick
[3:06] Speaker 1: Cobb's star. I'm going to text him. I haven't talked
[3:08] Speaker 1: to him. I don't know if you know that it's
[3:09] Speaker 1: I haven't text I haven't talked to him in fifteen years.
[3:12] Speaker 1: I don't think, but I would reach back. I hope
[3:14] Speaker 1: this is your number. Just tell me if I'm remembering
[3:17] Speaker 1: this correctly, because that's a nightmare. That's a doozy.
[3:20] Speaker 2: That's a doozy.
[3:21] Speaker 3: People like, yeah, I've never No, I've never done that.
[3:23] Speaker 3: I'm not doing Okay, So I used to Highland.
[3:26] Speaker 2: His last name is toll Lev.
[3:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, and you're not Jewish?
[3:29] Speaker 2: Yes?
[3:30] Speaker 1: To Lev? Yes is a Bulgarian name.
[3:33] Speaker 2: Yes, it sposed to be not Jewish nov. It's supposed

[3:38] Speaker 3: When my grandma came across on the boat, he didn't
[3:40] Speaker 3: know how to spell properly, so they just he mumbled
[3:42] Speaker 3: it and that's what they wrote down my last Yeah, let's.

[3:48] Speaker 3: This is the most insane job interview of my life.
