[0:03] Speaker 1: With regard.
[0:06] Speaker 2: Forever attempted stand up or you know, anything in a
[0:11] Speaker 2: comedy club. Like way back in two thousand and one,
[0:16] Speaker 2: as soon as Jackass came out, like this rave promoter
[0:20] Speaker 2: from Cleveland invited me to a party and paid me
[0:23] Speaker 2: to be at the party, and we kind of developed
[0:26] Speaker 2: a relationship where he just started booking me for personal appearances.
[0:30] Speaker 2: And the personal appearances two thousand and one.
[0:34] Speaker 1: Rank of two thousand and one was like jack is
[0:36] Speaker 1: just starting on TV.
[0:37] Speaker 2: Correct, Jack Gus started October of two thousand and In
[0:41] Speaker 2: two thousand and one, the first like real sort of
[0:46] Speaker 2: just public appearance at a night club was that club
[0:50] Speaker 2: Lavilla in Panama City, Florida. And all I had to
[0:55] Speaker 2: do was just be there. But when I showed up,
[0:58] Speaker 2: like there was a stage. I was like, oh, there's
[1:01] Speaker 2: a stage right there. And so I got on the
[1:02] Speaker 2: stage and started like doing stupid stunts, yeah back all
[1:08] Speaker 2: of it, and and and I like it drew a
[1:13] Speaker 2: crowd to the stage. There was like hundreds of people
[1:16] Speaker 2: in front of the stage, and the rave promoter from
[1:19] Speaker 2: Cleveland he thought, oh, well this is a no brainer.
[1:21] Speaker 2: I got a show. So that that turned into the
[1:25] Speaker 2: Stevens Don't Try This at Home tour where I would
[1:29] Speaker 2: and every single one of these performances for the Don't
[1:33] Speaker 2: Try This Home Tour when promoting them, I promised that
[1:37] Speaker 2: I would be drunk and on drugs or your money back.
[1:44] Speaker 2: And I kept my word. Man, I was good to
[1:47] Speaker 2: my word. It was on that same Don't Try This
[1:49] Speaker 2: at Home tour one time, as I honored my word
[1:53] Speaker 2: to be drunk and on drugs, I accidentally took I
[1:59] Speaker 2: can't remember if it was a valium or a xanax,
[2:03] Speaker 2: that it was an acapoco and there were there had
[2:08] Speaker 2: to have been like three thousand people in front of
[2:11] Speaker 2: the stage, and xanax stevo was not nearly as exciting
[2:15] Speaker 2: as cocaine. Steve, Yeah, they were there.
[2:20] Speaker 1: You ever mix it to you ever take the elevator
[2:22] Speaker 1: down and up?
[2:24] Speaker 3: Yeah?
[2:24] Speaker 2: The old speedball, Yeah, I would do it all. But
[2:28] Speaker 2: like I learned a valuable lesson that night in Acapoco.
[2:32] Speaker 2: No benzos, yeah, no, no down. Yeah. It was just
[2:40] Speaker 2: you know, I just did it was the most catastrophic
[2:43] Speaker 2: bomb really yeah. Like the crowd was deeply offended by
[2:48] Speaker 2: my performance.
[2:49] Speaker 1: It was like, yeah.
[2:52] Speaker 2: I can't remember there were throwing stuff, but I definitely.
[2:57] Speaker 1: Got you did too many things. Yeah, you're guaranteed. It
[3:01] Speaker 1: was too guaranteed, right.
[3:03] Speaker 2: And then and then it became from that point on
[3:07] Speaker 2: very important to that you only do cocaine, right, and
[3:11] Speaker 2: and I won't even say who it became important to,
[3:14] Speaker 2: but they became important to everybody that the cocaine had
[3:19] Speaker 2: to be procured like like that. It was like, I
[3:24] Speaker 2: don't know if I ever made it onto the writer. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
[3:27] Speaker 2: you know, like a writer is like a formal legal
[3:29] Speaker 2: contract of like you have to provide this to our artists. Yeah,
[3:34] Speaker 2: but but yeah, they and the thing and the problem
[3:36] Speaker 2: with that is that, like cocaine didn't make me very
[3:39] Speaker 2: likable either.
[3:41] Speaker 1: You know what's funny. I saw you at an abandoned
[3:45] Speaker 1: Win Dixie supermarket with Ryan Dunn in Florida, in Boyton Beach, Florida,
[3:52] Speaker 1: and you got I was probably eighteen, nineteen twenty years old.
[3:56] Speaker 1: I'm forty, so probably you know, two decades ago, and
[4:01] Speaker 1: you didn't we have the snake. You didn't have the snake.
[4:04] Speaker 1: You were you were stapling women's under body. You and
[4:10] Speaker 1: Done were throwing up vomiting for some reason. There was
[4:13] Speaker 1: no security. Well there was security, but they were completely
[4:19] Speaker 1: inept at their jobs. The security didn't care if people
[4:21] Speaker 1: leapt on stage, so half the audience is on. Half
[4:24] Speaker 1: the audiots couldn't see you because they were black. And
[4:27] Speaker 1: then there was no security for your green rooms, so
[4:29] Speaker 1: everybody went into your green rooms backstage. And I have
[4:35] Speaker 1: a memory of you true to your word and guaranteeing
[4:40] Speaker 1: that you were both high and drunk.
[4:45] Speaker 3: Polite, and you were very polite, but I think you were,
[4:48] Speaker 3: uh bloody. I have a vague memory of your bloody,
[4:52] Speaker 3: sweaty stapled, and Done was very polite too. I remember
[4:56] Speaker 3: running up to Done on stage as he's vomiting, and
[4:59] Speaker 3: I was like, and how do you do this every night?
[5:01] Speaker 1: And he goes, I have a lot of experience throwing
[5:05] Speaker 1: up from my time in the ballet. It was like
[5:07] Speaker 1: he was thinking as a Bolivia joker or something like that.
[5:10] Speaker 3: In the moment he had that like on the back
[5:12] Speaker 3: of my my vomiting vombit out of his nose, just
[5:15] Speaker 3: like the random experience throwing up from my time in
[5:19] Speaker 3: the ballet.
[5:20] Speaker 2: Bless us. All right, you know there's a lot there now.
[5:24] Speaker 1: In my mind, it was a short show. Yeah, it
[5:29] Speaker 1: wasn't the state of US.
[5:30] Speaker 2: Boy, we took care of most bodily fluids. I would
[5:35] Speaker 2: typically travel with U two. It would be me and
[5:40] Speaker 2: two other guys from Jackass, and those guys would would alternate.
[5:45] Speaker 2: But then it got to a point where the guys
[5:47] Speaker 2: didn't really I wasn't a lovely creature, and Dave England
[5:54] Speaker 2: quit and we replaced him with the fourteen foot long
[5:59] Speaker 2: King Cobra, which we would release on the stage with
[6:05] Speaker 2: this guy.
[6:06] Speaker 1: This shows a very memorable show. Yeah, awesome with this,
[6:11] Speaker 1: it only had like five minutes of material. I was like,
[6:15] Speaker 1: this stretched like half an hour.
[6:18] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where the cocaine.
[6:19] Speaker 3: Came in
[6:24] Speaker 1: With aericdre
