Shai Gilgeous Alexander's STATEMENT Game MYSTIFIES Gil's Arena as the Gil's Arena Crew reacts to SGA delivering an MVP Level performance to push the OKC Thunder over the San Antonio Spurs to even up the Western Conference Finals and break down how the best player in the world got the best of Victor Wembanyama & The Spurs in Game 2. They also discuss Isaiah Hartenstein stepping up to stymie the French Phenom by defending him with hostility in the paint and give their takes on which secondary players will shape this series as both Jalen Williams and Dylan Harper went down with injury and Stephon Castle continued to suffer ball security issues that would make James Harden cringe. They then react to new reports detailing Victor Wembanyama's offseason training with Shaolin monks and debate if Wemby's unconventional training methods are the secret behind his metoric rise this season as he sits just a few wins away from taking over the NBA. Next, they react to the hostile beef between Jaylen Brown & Stephen A Smith as the Boston Celtics' superstar continued to go after the sports media legend following his exit from the NBA Playoffs and debate which side is the most out of pocket as the battle on their respective airways. Finally, they react to the fallout of the NBA Draft lottery that awarded the Washington Wizards with the top pick in a loaded draft and analyze the NBA's proposed anti-tanking lottery reform as it aims to drastically shift how bad teams are built through the draft. [0:02] Speaker 1: Welcome back to Gil's Arena, presented by underdog Whoop Whoop.
[0:06] Speaker 2: Whoop Whoop.
[0:07] Speaker 1: Glorious Thursday, Memorial Day weekend.
[0:10] Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
[0:11] Speaker 1: Get ready for the turn ups and barbecues. And all
[0:14] Speaker 1: those lovely things. How everybody feeling today?
[0:17] Speaker 2: Yeah man, chilling.
[0:20] Speaker 3: Took a L, took a L.
[0:22] Speaker 2: We take our L's, we take our L's. You picked
[0:24] Speaker 2: OKC yesterday? I picked OKC yesterday.
[0:26] Speaker 1: OK, you got a win to win column on us.
[0:28] Speaker 1: This side was all thunder, this side was... Spurs, Kenya
[0:33] Speaker 1: State in line with the Spurs pick, so still retaining
[0:36] Speaker 1: your top spot. Regardless. Irregardless is not a word. But
[0:44] Speaker 1: this is Gills Arena presented by Underdog. I'm merely a host,
[0:48] Speaker 1: Josiah Johnson, and representing Tough Crowd, Tough Crowd Golf, and
[0:52] Speaker 1: a car-carrying country club member, we got Mr. B, Brandon Jennings,
[0:55] Speaker 1: back here with us.
[0:58] Speaker 3: Seated next to him.
[1:00] Speaker 1: We got the man they call Cemetery Larry, NCAA Champion
[1:03] Speaker 1: of the World, Dr. Rashad McCants, PhD. And on this
[1:08] Speaker 1: side of the couch, we got the distinguished.
[1:10] Speaker 2: That was easy.
[1:13] Speaker 3: Another one of Kenny Atkins' timeouts. My bad, my bad.
[1:17] Speaker 1: On this side of the couch, we got former number
[1:19] Speaker 1: one pick, the distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff, Kenyon Martin.
[1:27] Speaker 1: We got some things to chat about. Here's what's cracking
[1:30] Speaker 1: in Gil's arena today. SGA came through with an MVP-level
[1:34] Speaker 1: performance to help the Thunder even the series with the Spurs.
[1:38] Speaker 1: What statement did OKC make with their game-two win over
[1:41] Speaker 1: San Antonio? Jalen Brown and Stephen A. Smith have an
[1:46] Speaker 1: ongoing beef, but is either side taking it too far?
[1:49] Speaker 1: Jalen said F Stephen A, Stephen B, and Stephen C,
[1:53] Speaker 1: just in case there was some confusion.
[1:55] Speaker 3: And the NBA is set to vote on.
[1:56] Speaker 1: Anti-tanking draft lottery reform, but will it really stop teams
[2:01] Speaker 1: from trying to tank in the draft? We will get
[2:02] Speaker 1: into it. But before we get into all that, as always,
[2:05] Speaker 1: this show is brought to you by Underdog. Underdog's available

[2:36] Speaker 1: wherever you get your podcasts. So we know we got
[2:39] Speaker 1: to get into it. Game two of the Western Conference Finals.
[2:44] Speaker 1: Spurs held on to get the double overtime win to
[2:46] Speaker 1: steal home court in game one. Wimby became the youngest
[2:48] Speaker 1: player in NBA history with a 40.20 rebound game. San
[2:52] Speaker 1: Antonio snapped OKC's nine-game playoff winning streak while giving them
[2:56] Speaker 1: their first loss of this postseason, improving to five and
[2:59] Speaker 1: one this season against the defending champs. Spurs were without
[3:02] Speaker 1: De'Aaron Fox for the second straight game as he dealt
[3:05] Speaker 1: with an ankle injury, and the Thunder lost Jalen Williams
[3:08] Speaker 1: early in this one. But after a subpar game won
[3:11] Speaker 1: by his standards, in which he was held to seven
[3:13] Speaker 1: of 23 shooting and 51 minutes of action, SGA delivered
[3:16] Speaker 1: an MVP-level performance in a supporting cast, stepped up when
[3:20] Speaker 1: the team needed them most, to help the Thunder even
[3:23] Speaker 1: the series. Let's take a look at the highlights if
[3:25] Speaker 1: we can, please. Game was back and forth in the
[3:29] Speaker 1: first quarter. Both teams going bucket for bucket with no
[3:32] Speaker 1: breathing room. So, despite losing Jalen Williams in the first
[3:36] Speaker 1: frame as he re-aggravated his hamstring injury after playing just
[3:40] Speaker 1: seven minutes, SGA paced the Thunder with 15 points and
[3:43] Speaker 1: five assists in the first half as his supporting cast
[3:47] Speaker 1: and bench filled the void, while Wimby was held at
[3:49] Speaker 1: just seven points in the first half. OKC outscored the
[3:54] Speaker 1: Spurs 31-20 in the second frame. Thanks in large part
[3:59] Speaker 1: to players like this.
[4:01] Speaker 3: Caruso and Wimby's Grill.
[4:02] Speaker 1: Caruso had been balling through two games of this Western
[4:05] Speaker 1: Conference Finals using his multi-championship experience and then Stephon Castle
[4:10] Speaker 1: did that to Isaiah Hardenstein.
[4:12] Speaker 3: Black on black crime.
[4:16] Speaker 1: So OKC outscored the Spurs 31-20 in the second frame.
[4:19] Speaker 1: Take an 11-point lead to the break. Spurs came out
[4:21] Speaker 1: on fire in the third quarter, though, quickly erasing a
[4:24] Speaker 1: 13-point deficit with a 15-2 run to tie things up.
[4:27] Speaker 1: But the Thunder responded with some big buckets from SGA
[4:30] Speaker 1: in their bench. OKC had seven players scoring double figures,
[4:33] Speaker 1: including four off the bench. SGA had a game-high 30 points,
[4:37] Speaker 1: added nine assists with just one turnover. He was 12
[4:40] Speaker 1: for 24 from the field. Chet Holmgren added 13 on
[4:41] Speaker 1: 5 of 10 shooting. Isaiah Harden signed 10 points and
[4:45] Speaker 1: 13 boards, including eight on the offensive end. Was also
[4:48] Speaker 1: big defensively. Alex Caruso tripped in 17 and 5 assists,
[4:52] Speaker 1: while Jared McCain and Kaysen Wallace both had 12. After
[4:54] Speaker 1: dropping 41 points, 24 boards in Game 1, Wimby cooled
[4:58] Speaker 1: off with 21.17 rebounds. He also had 6 assists and
[5:01] Speaker 1: 4 blocks. Stephon Castle scored a team-high 25 points, along
[5:05] Speaker 1: with 8 dimes, but also had 9 turnovers after a
[5:09] Speaker 1: franchise playoff record.
[5:10] Speaker 3: 11 in Game 1.
[5:12] Speaker 1: Devin Vassell added 22 on 7 of 14 shooting, and
[5:15] Speaker 1: Dylan Harper had 12 before leaving the game in the
[5:18] Speaker 1: third quarter. with what appeared to be a right hamstring injury.
[5:21] Speaker 1: The Thunder led by eight heading into the fourth quarter,
[5:23] Speaker 1: but the Spurs tried to rally. Harrison Barnes hit a
[5:26] Speaker 1: big three to cut the deficit to do with a
[5:28] Speaker 1: little over nine minutes remaining. The Thunder responded with an
[5:31] Speaker 1: 11-0 run to extend their lead to 13. Spurs again
[5:35] Speaker 1: cut the deficit to five with a little over a
[5:37] Speaker 1: minute remaining, but SJ and Caruso came through with back-to-back
[5:39] Speaker 1: buckets to put the game out of reach. OKC scored
[5:43] Speaker 1: 27 points off 21 Spurs turnovers, and they were plus
[5:47] Speaker 1: 32 in bench points with the Benches 57 points in
[5:51] Speaker 1: the game, tying a franchise record. Spurs first lost by
[5:55] Speaker 1: more than five points this postseason. After the game, the
[5:58] Speaker 1: back-to-back MVP and the Alien had this reaction.
[6:02] Speaker 4: Honestly speaking, I think we just did a better job
[6:04] Speaker 4: of attacking them. In the first game, I still feel
[6:07] Speaker 4: like we got really good looks. They just didn't go down.
[6:11] Speaker 4: But yeah, we, I guess, just got a little bit
[6:14] Speaker 4: more comfortable with their type of defense.
[6:17] Speaker 3: Obviously, it's very unique.
[6:18] Speaker 4: And different from literally every other defense in the league,
[6:22] Speaker 4: so it takes some getting used to. But we're still
[6:25] Speaker 4: going to have to keep getting better throughout this series
[6:27] Speaker 4: if we want a chance to win the series. Really
[6:30] Speaker 4: good team, really good defensive team, really good. They check
[6:34] Speaker 4: all the boxes, so we're going to have to continue
[6:36] Speaker 4: to get better. Tonight wasn't good enough to win the series,
[6:39] Speaker 4: and we know that, so we'll take the W, but
[6:42] Speaker 4: we've got to keep getting better.
[6:43] Speaker 5: I have to trust the scouting. We have to trust
[6:46] Speaker 5: it and do our work early. It's a straight effort.
[6:55] Speaker 2: Victor, what would you say is the most frustrating thing
[6:59] Speaker 2: about tonight's loss?
[7:02] Speaker 5: I would say it's spending so much energy on catching
[7:08] Speaker 5: back up to the score and then let.
[7:10] Speaker 3: It go away.
[7:12] Speaker 6: When you say it's straight effort, is it that simple
[7:15] Speaker 6: or are there some tactical, strategic kind of adjustments you
[7:18] Speaker 6: can make?
[7:18] Speaker 2: What I mean is straight effort is.
[7:21] Speaker 5: Like the tactics, we all know it by heart, but
[7:26] Speaker 5: it doesn't mean it's easy and we have to work
[7:29] Speaker 5: through it.
[7:31] Speaker 1: We heard both sides there reacting to the Thunder's game
[7:34] Speaker 1: to win. Series tied now 1-1 heading to San Antonio
[7:38] Speaker 1: for game three on Friday. Mr. B, what are your
[7:39] Speaker 1: biggest takeaways from From the Thunders, game two win over
[7:43] Speaker 1: the Spurs.
[7:45] Speaker 6: Well, this is OKC's ninth straight win after a loss.
[7:49] Speaker 6: So this has shown that they do, you know, they
[7:52] Speaker 6: do come back better. But Harkestine, I think it was
[7:57] Speaker 6: him that took on a challenge against Wimby. He guarded
[8:00] Speaker 6: him about 40-something times straight up, frustrated him. Some of
[8:04] Speaker 6: it was a little dirty, but, you know, that's something that,
[8:08] Speaker 6: you know, I'm sure they're going to send into the league. But,
[8:11] Speaker 6: you know, it's the playoffs. And, you know, I think Wimby,
[8:15] Speaker 6: you know, they got Wimby out of his rhythm. You know,
[8:19] Speaker 6: first game he only shot two threes. This one's seven.
[8:22] Speaker 6: I knew that was going to happen because he hit
[8:24] Speaker 6: that big shot in the first game. So I just
[8:26] Speaker 6: know him being young right now, you know, he's going
[8:28] Speaker 6: to still fall in love with it.
[8:29] Speaker 2: So if I'm OKC, I want Wimby shooting threes.
[8:32] Speaker 6: I would actually let Wimby shoot because he gets a
[8:34] Speaker 6: little comfortable with it. OKC bench just outscored, you know,
[8:40] Speaker 6: the Spurs bench by a lot. Their turnovers, you know, Castle,
[8:44] Speaker 6: he just, you know, last two games, 20 turnovers in
[8:48] Speaker 6: two games.
[8:49] Speaker 2: So that's a lot of turnovers.
[8:50] Speaker 6: He's very talented, very raw, but they're going to have
[8:53] Speaker 6: to figure out a way to have somebody else handle
[8:56] Speaker 6: the ball or something because with Dylan Harper being out
[8:59] Speaker 6: in Fox, you know, who knows what happens now. But
[9:02] Speaker 6: then with OKC, man, you know, their bench, You know,
[9:06] Speaker 6: with J-Dub, I don't know. It's kind of hard to say,
[9:08] Speaker 6: but I think they play a little better without him.
[9:10] Speaker 6: I think the ball moves a little better. More guys
[9:13] Speaker 6: are getting opportunities and shots. And I think that's what
[9:16] Speaker 6: helps them because J-Dub, he plays in the paint and
[9:19] Speaker 6: so does SGA. So if you're the Spurs, all you
[9:21] Speaker 6: got to do is just pack the paint. Now with
[9:23] Speaker 6: J-Dub and SGA having to be able to, you know,
[9:26] Speaker 6: get out of double teams because he's been double teamed
[9:29] Speaker 6: 57 times already.
[9:30] Speaker 2: So they're serious without him.
[9:32] Speaker 6: Without J-Dub, it actually gives everybody else the opportunity to score,
[9:35] Speaker 6: and they've been winning.
[9:37] Speaker 2: But with the Spurs, you know, when you're in the
[9:39] Speaker 2: paint and.
[9:40] Speaker 6: You're shooting 56, making 56 points in the paint, you know,
[9:44] Speaker 6: you are winning games. So in this game, you're only
[9:47] Speaker 6: 40 points in the paint.
[9:49] Speaker 2: So get to the paint.
[9:51] Speaker 1: Hard time came up big on that front, like you
[9:53] Speaker 1: mentioned shutting down Wimby, keeping him out of the paint.
[9:56] Speaker 1: May have been a little dirty, may have not been,
[9:58] Speaker 1: but this is playoff basketball. Bashaw, let's shift over to you.
[10:02] Speaker 1: You were noncommittal in calling a spur sweep very wisely.
[10:06] Speaker 1: Said this is going to be a good series, but
[10:08] Speaker 1: what were your biggest takeaways from the Thunder's game to win?
[10:13] Speaker 2: You used a lot of numbers in that little take
[10:15] Speaker 2: you just had. It's kind of impressive. It's interesting.
[10:20] Speaker 7: That man's that man.
[10:23] Speaker 2: Look at the games.
[10:25] Speaker 7: Well, let's look at one things that were glaring other
[10:28] Speaker 7: than all that shit about OKC. Let's talk about 27
[10:33] Speaker 7: points off turnovers.
[10:35] Speaker 3: What was it?
[10:37] Speaker 7: 14 steals.
[10:40] Speaker 3: I think 11 coming from the bench in that game.
[10:42] Speaker 3: Nine turnovers coming from one player.
[10:46] Speaker 2: Man.
[10:49] Speaker 3: What else?
[10:49] Speaker 7: 34 assists coming from OKC based on temporary zone that
[10:56] Speaker 7: we played, you know, getting the ball out of SGA's
[10:59] Speaker 7: hands and knowing that the other players are going to
[11:01] Speaker 7: have to play. And McCain, like I said before, the
[11:04] Speaker 7: reason I didn't predict no sweep because I knew they
[11:07] Speaker 7: were going to come out and hit shots.
[11:09] Speaker 3: They're at home too.
[11:10] Speaker 7: So, you know, the shots that they didn't hit the
[11:12] Speaker 7: first game, I knew they were going to come out
[11:13] Speaker 7: and hit this game. Crusoe, 17, 12 from McCain, 12 from.
[11:19] Speaker 2: What was it?
[11:21] Speaker 3: Wiggins and Wallace. Yeah. Wiggins and Wallace.
[11:24] Speaker 7: I think the biggest thing for me was the defense.
[11:32] Speaker 7: I think we can go and say the turnovers are
[11:35] Speaker 7: a big deal. I think that's something that Castle's going
[11:39] Speaker 7: to do because he's young and he plays aggressive. He
[11:41] Speaker 7: tries to make the right play. It ain't like he's
[11:44] Speaker 7: out there doing the shit on purpose. But I think
[11:48] Speaker 7: at the same time, All of the holding, all of
[11:52] Speaker 7: the fouling, all of the fake aggressive plays take away
[11:56] Speaker 7: from the balance of the game. The balance of the
[12:00] Speaker 7: game in basketball, you go down on one end, you know,
[12:03] Speaker 7: Wimby don't complain. He's just trying to, you know, get
[12:05] Speaker 7: offensive rebounds. He's trying to do things. And the disadvantage
[12:08] Speaker 7: of being 7'5, ain't his fault. You know, Harkinstein got
[12:12] Speaker 7: to do what he got to do to try to
[12:14] Speaker 7: take him out of the game, but playing the dirty
[12:18] Speaker 7: game and doing the little shit that they're doing out.
[12:20] Speaker 3: There, it's irritating.
[12:22] Speaker 7: Especially as a fan, you're watching and you're like, God damn,
[12:25] Speaker 7: they're just fouling them. Every single play, holding them, fouling them,
[12:28] Speaker 7: holding them, fouling them. And then you go down on
[12:30] Speaker 7: the other end and you can't sneeze on them. This
[12:33] Speaker 7: guy is falling every time he shoots the ball for
[12:36] Speaker 7: no reason.
[12:37] Speaker 3: Falling on the floor.
[12:38] Speaker 7: So it's like, at some point for us, we have
[12:42] Speaker 7: to change our game plan based on One, not turning
[12:45] Speaker 7: the ball over.
[12:46] Speaker 3: Two, getting good shots.
[12:48] Speaker 7: But also trying to find a way to get Wimby
[12:50] Speaker 7: the ball because if he's only taking seven threes based
[12:53] Speaker 7: on the fact that if I go down there and
[12:56] Speaker 7: I try to play the game that I want to
[12:57] Speaker 7: play and they're not giving.
[12:58] Speaker 2: Me fouls, that's a turnover.
[13:01] Speaker 3: That's literally a turnover.
[13:03] Speaker 2: Bad shot turnover.
[13:04] Speaker 7: So he feels like he got a better chance of
[13:06] Speaker 7: hitting a three than going down there losing the ball
[13:09] Speaker 7: with aggressive defense that they're not calling.
[13:13] Speaker 3: But At the end of the day, there's no excuses.
[13:15] Speaker 3: We lost.
[13:16] Speaker 7: And we're going to take our L's. We're going to
[13:18] Speaker 7: go back to the crib. We're going to figure it out.
[13:21] Speaker 7: Hopefully we get Fox back. I think we did have
[13:24] Speaker 7: a chance to get Harper back, but they told him
[13:26] Speaker 7: not to come back. So at this point, Castle got
[13:31] Speaker 7: to look himself in the mirror. I think Wimby has
[13:34] Speaker 7: to also look himself in the mirror and hold himself
[13:38] Speaker 7: and everybody else accountable. Mitch Johnson got to do a
[13:40] Speaker 7: better job of checking the team. When they're turning the
[13:44] Speaker 7: ball over at that rate, Castle had five turnovers in
[13:47] Speaker 7: the first fucking nine minutes, maybe. And it was just
[13:51] Speaker 7: a lot of erratic shit, just like reaching in, dribbling
[13:54] Speaker 7: too much, both him and Harper, young guys that just,
[13:57] Speaker 7: you know, they're just excited about the moment. But to
[14:02] Speaker 7: lose the game where we were down five with a
[14:06] Speaker 7: minute left, I feel good about that. I feel good
[14:10] Speaker 7: about that. Because SGA did what he was supposed to do,
[14:12] Speaker 7: put the game out of reach.
[14:14] Speaker 3: Great shot. Good defense.
[14:16] Speaker 7: But if, you know, he missed that shot, we got
[14:18] Speaker 7: a chance. Ultimately, OKC did exactly what I knew they
[14:23] Speaker 7: could do. But I want everybody to really pay attention
[14:26] Speaker 7: to what SGA said at the end of the game.
[14:28] Speaker 3: We're going to talk about it, about Harkestan?
[14:31] Speaker 7: Not only about Harkestan, but what he said at the,
[14:34] Speaker 7: what you just showed.
[14:35] Speaker 3: He knew.
[14:38] Speaker 2: He knew that game was up in the air.
[14:42] Speaker 7: He knew that they barely got that game And they
[14:45] Speaker 7: got to play better if they want to solidify not
[14:47] Speaker 7: having the refs on their side to solidify that. And
[14:51] Speaker 7: I think I respect him a little bit more for
[14:54] Speaker 7: knowing that. Even if we're going to show the other
[14:56] Speaker 7: side of it, I respect that side too. Him knowing
[14:59] Speaker 7: Harkinstein did.
[15:01] Speaker 3: Do a good fucking job tonight.
[15:03] Speaker 1: I mean, as Jay said in those post-game comments, not
[15:06] Speaker 1: enough to win the series. The complaints about the Thunder's
[15:09] Speaker 1: physicality and the foul batting on the other side has
[15:12] Speaker 1: been made by a lot of people throughout the season, postseason,
[15:16] Speaker 1: the Lakers series. I think that was a big complaint
[15:18] Speaker 1: from Lakers fans, but it is what it is. That's
[15:21] Speaker 1: how they play. Remind me of the Legion of Boom,
[15:24] Speaker 1: Seattle Seahawks back in the day. You're not going to
[15:26] Speaker 1: call it. It's going to be a penalty every play,
[15:28] Speaker 1: but you're not going to call it. So it is
[15:30] Speaker 1: what it is, and that's just how it goes. But
[15:31] Speaker 1: let's shift over to you, Kenya. What are your biggest
[15:33] Speaker 1: takeaways from the Thunder getting this game two win over
[15:36] Speaker 1: the Spurs?
[15:38] Speaker 8: It was a must win for them, and they came
[15:40] Speaker 8: out with the energy like it was a must win.
[15:46] Speaker 8: They bench played very well, four guys off the bench
[15:49] Speaker 8: with double figures, that's huge. Seven guys in double figures overall,
[15:54] Speaker 8: that's a winning recipe. Not just that Castle with the
[16:01] Speaker 8: turnovers early, there's other guys with turnovers late. Threw the
[16:07] Speaker 8: ball out of bounds right in front of the Thunder bench.
[16:11] Speaker 8: timely possession turnovers are killers, and that's what they had.
[16:16] Speaker 8: The ones early, Castle was trying to be aggressive. He
[16:19] Speaker 8: had five early. That's one thing. You're trying to be aggressive,
[16:21] Speaker 8: trying to make plays. The Thunder do an excellent job
[16:24] Speaker 8: at getting deflections and steals, so that's expected, but wouldn't
[16:31] Speaker 8: be throwing the ball in the backcourt late. It's those
[16:34] Speaker 8: turnovers where you're trying to make a comeback that kills you.
[16:38] Speaker 3: They're young, of course, but You.
[16:41] Speaker 8: Can't keep using the excuse that you're young in the
[16:43] Speaker 8: Western Conference Finals. We'll let you be young after the fact,
[16:48] Speaker 8: but right now it's time to grow up, and those
[16:50] Speaker 8: turnovers are killing y'all, especially coming from Castle. You can't
[16:54] Speaker 8: have 20 turnovers in two games, man. Teams don't have
[16:57] Speaker 8: 20 turnovers in two games, right? So that needs to
[17:03] Speaker 8: be addressed, and it's a red flag with it, right?
[17:07] Speaker 8: We cannot turn the ball over like this and expect
[17:09] Speaker 8: to win, especially on the road but it was a
[17:13] Speaker 8: good game, and to SGA Point, the guys that you
[17:18] Speaker 8: just stated, they didn't feel that they played their best game,
[17:21] Speaker 8: and they still got it, but they know they have
[17:23] Speaker 8: to play better, because this is a really good team.
[17:27] Speaker 8: Hopefully they get Fox back. Don't know Dylan Harper's availability
[17:31] Speaker 8: moving forward. Hopefully he can go. It's unfortunate Jalen Williams
[17:37] Speaker 8: re-aggravated his hamstring again. We don't know what that timeline is.
[17:43] Speaker 8: But it seemed rushed and came out with the adrenaline
[17:45] Speaker 8: and everything in game one, played well.
[17:47] Speaker 3: But yeah, no, it's a lot, man.
[17:50] Speaker 8: This time of year, it's very strenuous on your body, right?
[17:54] Speaker 8: You are playing harder than you think you... He realized
[17:58] Speaker 8: how he played last year. We have to play even
[18:00] Speaker 8: harder this year to repeat against a better basketball team.
[18:04] Speaker 8: So it's unfortunate that he got hurt again, but the
[18:07] Speaker 8: Thunder did what they had to do in order to
[18:08] Speaker 8: get a game And the notion of, after you have
[18:16] Speaker 8: your two home games, should we want to go there
[18:19] Speaker 8: and get one? Like that's, why not go get both?
[18:24] Speaker 8: Why not have the mentality, we going down there to
[18:26] Speaker 8: get both, right? We going down there to get both.
[18:29] Speaker 8: I'm pretty sure San Antonio thought that they were, they
[18:32] Speaker 8: wasn't going to Oklahoma City to say, we want to split.
[18:36] Speaker 8: So for that to be said, And the thing, yeah, no,
[18:43] Speaker 8: you're going to get both. But you got to start
[18:45] Speaker 8: with the first one. It's going to be a tall task.
[18:47] Speaker 3: We know that.
[18:48] Speaker 8: San Antonio will play well at home. Yeah, San Antonio
[18:52] Speaker 8: will play well at home. We know they're going to
[18:53] Speaker 8: use that crowd, energy, and all that. So it's going
[18:57] Speaker 8: to be jumping in there. But Oklahoma City is battle-tested.
[19:00] Speaker 3: We know that.
[19:01] Speaker 8: Defending champions, been in hostile environments before, have won big
[19:05] Speaker 8: role games before. So, yeah, it's– It's going to test them,
[19:10] Speaker 8: and I think they up for the challenge, realizing that
[19:12] Speaker 8: they are up against a worthy opponent in the Spurs.
[19:18] Speaker 8: And with the Hardenstein thing, like, hey, you got to
[19:20] Speaker 8: do what you got to do, man. Like, I get it. Like, no,
[19:24] Speaker 8: I'm saying you got to do what you got to do.
[19:25] Speaker 8: He's really good, right? You just can't keep playing him
[19:29] Speaker 8: straight up, right? So he took on the challenge. He
[19:32] Speaker 8: took the challenge on, and he stepped up to the challenge.
[19:35] Speaker 8: And however he need to get it done, he is
[19:38] Speaker 8: in the mindset they ain't going to call them all.
[19:41] Speaker 8: And the only thing I think was the egregious shit,
[19:44] Speaker 8: whether it was intentional or not, was the, Stephon Castle
[19:47] Speaker 8: when he got his hair pulled. Other than that, anything
[19:55] Speaker 8: he's doing to Wimby at this point, because the way
[19:58] Speaker 8: the game won Wimby had, they all heard it and
[20:01] Speaker 8: they watched film. You got to make it ugly. I
[20:07] Speaker 8: can't match up with you with skill. So I got
[20:11] Speaker 8: to make it, I got to muck it up. So
[20:12] Speaker 8: that's what he did, right? So his mind says, and
[20:15] Speaker 8: to his, the way he played, they didn't call them all.
[20:19] Speaker 8: So he's going to come out and play that way again.
[20:22] Speaker 8: Until they start blowing the whistle every time he do it,
[20:24] Speaker 8: he's going to keep doing it. So to his credit,
[20:27] Speaker 8: he stepped up to the challenge.
[20:30] Speaker 3: And, like, I got it. You can go play basketball.
[20:35] Speaker 3: I got it. So shout out to him.
[20:38] Speaker 2: Thank you.
[20:39] Speaker 7: I'm not rolling because Tony Brothers helped that cause.
[20:43] Speaker 3: Also known as Tony Others.
[20:44] Speaker 7: I feel like if you got six fouls and you
[20:47] Speaker 7: out there doing what you're doing, like to what you're saying,
[20:51] Speaker 7: to your credit, what you're saying.
[20:53] Speaker 3: We got to do what we got to do, right?
[20:55] Speaker 2: To win.
[20:56] Speaker 3: And we know that, right?
[20:57] Speaker 7: So let's just say they in the ballroom talking about
[20:59] Speaker 7: the game plan and Caruso's like, listen, ain't no way
[21:03] Speaker 7: me and Lou can guard him with the offensive rebound capability.
[21:07] Speaker 7: I consider Harkin Stein like a Reggie Evans. He knows
[21:10] Speaker 7: how to take you out of the game simply by
[21:13] Speaker 7: just boxing you out, face guarding you, making sure you
[21:16] Speaker 7: don't get that offensive rebound.
[21:18] Speaker 3: Staying attached to you at all times.
[21:19] Speaker 7: But there's a way that it's done where you don't
[21:23] Speaker 7: get fouls, and there's a way where the refs at
[21:26] Speaker 7: least let you play.
[21:27] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[21:28] Speaker 3: And I feel like they wasn't... Oh, no, the shit
[21:31] Speaker 3: he was doing was a great thing. The shit he
[21:32] Speaker 3: was doing was different. Absolutely.
[21:34] Speaker 7: But I get the understanding of saying... We need a
[21:38] Speaker 7: seven-foot Caruso to guard him now.
[21:41] Speaker 3: Yes, and that's what he did.
[21:42] Speaker 7: But what didn't happen is what you challenged Chet for.
[21:45] Speaker 3: Yeah. Chet, put your big boy pants on and go
[21:48] Speaker 3: guard that man.
[21:49] Speaker 2: He started on him.
[21:50] Speaker 8: He started, but that's the matchup, right? That's the day.
[21:52] Speaker 8: That's the matchup, right?
[21:54] Speaker 3: So if I'm San Antonio, I'm putting Luke Cornett in there.
[21:58] Speaker 3: With Wimby.
[21:59] Speaker 7: No, cuz Luke is the only one that could do
[22:01] Speaker 7: the shit that Carcasson is doing to him.
[22:05] Speaker 2: We need We got two more guys over there.
[22:08] Speaker 7: Let me ask you a question Luke is not a
[22:11] Speaker 7: rim protector, right? No it maybe I'm He can though.
[22:18] Speaker 8: Can who's a better shot blocker him or Bismack Biambo.
[22:21] Speaker 2: I Bismack.
[22:22] Speaker 3: Bismack, right?
[22:23] Speaker 2: Bismack. Why is he, I'm just saying energy though, right?
[22:27] Speaker 3: He ain't got the fortitude. Okay.
[22:29] Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying? He's the guy that go
[22:31] Speaker 7: out there foul.
[22:32] Speaker 2: Play hard, rebound. Throw Mason Plumlee, throw Big Plumlee out there.
[22:35] Speaker 7: He'll hold and grab that motherfucker.
[22:38] Speaker 3: He would.
[22:39] Speaker 2: Hey, he'll use.
[22:40] Speaker 3: Him and our stock and mix that shit up together.
[22:42] Speaker 2: Hey, hey.
[22:43] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[22:43] Speaker 2: But it's the if you think about the he does
[22:46] Speaker 2: the flow, you.
[22:46] Speaker 7: Know, Harkin Stein got more of a flow of it,
[22:48] Speaker 7: too Yes, yes, I'm just thinking about yes to match
[22:53] Speaker 7: what he's doing absolutely yeah You didn't got so hard
[22:57] Speaker 7: to run it up and down Harden.
[23:00] Speaker 3: Stein had with nine offers over the back. I believe
[23:02] Speaker 3: I think I think a but 10 and 13 I think.
[23:05] Speaker 8: That nine eight or nine offers rebounds and that comes
[23:08] Speaker 8: from Wimby Roman and right, taking his body off him,
[23:11] Speaker 8: going to help, and they put him in situations where,
[23:13] Speaker 8: what he at, what, them two late, two or three big,
[23:17] Speaker 8: three late offensive rebounds.
[23:20] Speaker 7: But when he don't box out, he just don't get it. Yeah,
[23:23] Speaker 7: I'm taller than you, but that motherfucker bouncing. He's tracking
[23:25] Speaker 7: that bitch down. He's holding that arm and he's doing
[23:28] Speaker 7: all that Kevin look.
[23:29] Speaker 8: You got to keep a body on the body to
[23:30] Speaker 8: your point, like throwing somebody else in there that can
[23:32] Speaker 8: keep a body on the body. And that way it
[23:35] Speaker 8: forces the Chet and Wimby matchup.
[23:39] Speaker 2: Didn't they keep Chet out the game late in the fourth?
[23:42] Speaker 3: The fourth is that matchup.
[23:43] Speaker 7: Four minutes, five minutes to go, they didn't put Chet
[23:45] Speaker 7: back in the game. They literally let him close. Because Cornette,
[23:52] Speaker 7: if he go to the glass, Chet going to have
[23:54] Speaker 7: a hell of a time trying to keep him.
[23:55] Speaker 3: Off the glass.
[23:56] Speaker 2: Facts.
[23:57] Speaker 6: I mean, you don't have that, but also, I mean,
[24:00] Speaker 6: going into game three, if Dylan Harper and Dee Fox
[24:02] Speaker 6: ain't available, this is.
[24:05] Speaker 2: We.
[24:05] Speaker 1: Got De'Aaron Fox on the Spurs side that's been... You
[24:07] Speaker 1: know what I'm saying? I mean, I have O.K.C.
[24:09] Speaker 2: Winning.
[24:09] Speaker 7: What's the old boy's name?
[24:12] Speaker 3: McLaughlin? Yeah.
[24:14] Speaker 2: You need to put him in the game to get
[24:15] Speaker 2: the ball out of the castle.
[24:16] Speaker 3: You need to put him in the game to get
[24:17] Speaker 3: the ball out of the castle.
[24:18] Speaker 2: And he hit two big shots.
[24:19] Speaker 3: He hit two big shots. I know what you're talking about.
[24:22] Speaker 7: Yes. I like him enough to put him in the game.
[24:26] Speaker 2: But who he guarding?
[24:27] Speaker 3: But who he guarding coming back down, though? Or Wallace.
[24:31] Speaker 3: One of them. Over there. He can guard one of them.
[24:33] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what he was doing.
[24:34] Speaker 7: I wasn't putting him on A.J. Mitchell because he's taller
[24:35] Speaker 7: than him.
[24:36] Speaker 2: I'm putting him right in pick and roll then. No,
[24:38] Speaker 2: we're doubling.
[24:40] Speaker 7: We're jumping it. We're already jumping it. We're jumping it.
[24:42] Speaker 7: Because Shago shoot right over him. So, we're just jumping.
[24:45] Speaker 2: Okay.
[24:46] Speaker 8: But I like the ball in his hand to get
[24:48] Speaker 8: the ball because he's a real point guard.
[24:51] Speaker 3: Yes.
[24:51] Speaker 8: Understand pressure. Understand, I'm saying, how to break the press.
[24:54] Speaker 8: How to not turn that bitch over in the backcourt
[24:56] Speaker 8: and get the ball to where.
[24:57] Speaker 3: It needs to be.
[25:00] Speaker 2: Shoot him when you open. Yep.
[25:01] Speaker 3: Yeah, he take us down.
[25:03] Speaker 2: Get us in.
[25:04] Speaker 8: We need you to get us in offense because Castle
[25:06] Speaker 8: is out this bitch turning this bitch at an alarming rate.
[25:10] Speaker 2: Yeah, well, they're going to have to do something.
[25:13] Speaker 7: I've got two questions. One, SJ got five fouls. Why
[25:21] Speaker 7: we ain't hunting him? Because this is the guy that
[25:24] Speaker 7: if he's out of the game.
[25:25] Speaker 2: And I don't think they're going to call it, though.
[25:27] Speaker 3: If he out of the game. There's got to be
[25:29] Speaker 3: something violent. Second question.
[25:34] Speaker 7: Why are they not running any back screens for Wimby
[25:40] Speaker 7: going into the post? Why are they not running no flexes?
[25:44] Speaker 7: Why are they not running no No fucking UCLA. Like,
[25:48] Speaker 7: all the simple shit.
[25:49] Speaker 2: It's not offense.
[25:50] Speaker 7: And I don't want to get too much into the
[25:52] Speaker 7: old way of ball, but this.
[25:54] Speaker 3: Something simple.
[25:55] Speaker 2: This something simple NBA playoff shit.
[25:57] Speaker 3: Yeah. Hold on. It's none of that. I got one
[26:00] Speaker 3: for you. So, I know one of their assistants.
[26:02] Speaker 8: I texted him. I meant to tell you. I meant
[26:05] Speaker 8: to tell you this. I texted him after we talked
[26:08] Speaker 8: about it.
[26:08] Speaker 3: Right?
[26:08] Speaker 8: The spin lob. I was like, yo, you need to
[26:13] Speaker 8: have y'all work on the spin lob with Wimby. His
[26:16] Speaker 8: response was, who going to pass it?
[26:17] Speaker 7: That's what I said. I told you he had no
[26:19] Speaker 7: point going through it. He said, who going to pass it?
[26:21] Speaker 8: I said, so can't nobody over there do it? Can't
[26:25] Speaker 8: nobody throw a spin lob pass?
[26:27] Speaker 3: Not like that.
[26:27] Speaker 2: No, not like that. Then his exact words was, well,
[26:30] Speaker 2: if you can go get J.K.
[26:31] Speaker 8: And Andre Miller for me out of retirement, then we'll
[26:34] Speaker 8: be all right.
[26:37] Speaker 3: So y'all can't work on it?
[26:40] Speaker 7: He spent a couple times looking for it.
[26:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, but the thing, like, that happens in the summertime.
[26:44] Speaker 2: You can't, I mean, during the season, like, that's like
[26:47] Speaker 2: an offense.
[26:47] Speaker 7: But you've had with me for three seasons now, though.
[26:49] Speaker 7: I'm just saying, at a certain point. And we know
[26:51] Speaker 7: how they're playing defense against you.
[26:52] Speaker 2: Right, and so who's been their point guard for the
[26:54] Speaker 2: last three seasons?
[26:55] Speaker 3: But I'm just talking about now.
[26:57] Speaker 8: Like, I would think it's not that, like, hard of
[27:00] Speaker 8: a I used to throw the fucking spin lob to Melo,
[27:03] Speaker 8: and I played fucking powerful.
[27:05] Speaker 6: Absolutely, from the elbow. But that's IQ. But look at
[27:09] Speaker 6: the offense you're running. Look at the sets that you're
[27:11] Speaker 6: in and things like that. These guys aren't in those
[27:14] Speaker 6: type of sets now. They coming down, you know, one
[27:17] Speaker 6: guard come up, pick and roll. Like, we had sets
[27:19] Speaker 6: and things. So it made sense. Hey, Ken, this is here.
[27:21] Speaker 2: If this here, you got this option. They don't have that.
[27:23] Speaker 3: Like, it's just come down and.
[27:27] Speaker 3: What you saying is.
[27:28] Speaker 7: The IQ side, but then it's just the conversation, communication
[27:32] Speaker 7: side between Kenyon and Melo.
[27:35] Speaker 3: Hey, look, Melo.
[27:36] Speaker 7: With him, you can throw a bad pass to that motherfucker.
[27:39] Speaker 2: Yeah, you can throw a bad pass.
[27:41] Speaker 3: Because he's 7'5. Just throw it up to him.
[27:42] Speaker 2: It ain't got to be perfect.
[27:44] Speaker 7: He's fronting me. I'm about to spin off.
[27:46] Speaker 2: If they keep playing me this way.
[27:50] Speaker 3: I'm going to spin out, just throw it up there. Yeah,
[27:53] Speaker 3: they don't got that set up.
[27:53] Speaker 2: But where's the play?
[27:54] Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
[27:55] Speaker 7: Where's the set up to even get that motion?
[27:57] Speaker 3: They're not posting him up like that.
[27:59] Speaker 2: I dig it.
[27:59] Speaker 3: No, I'm with it.
[28:00] Speaker 8: But the fact that somebody that's on their staff is like,
[28:04] Speaker 8: Who gonna throw it?
[28:05] Speaker 2: So that's what I'm saying.
[28:06] Speaker 6: So think about what the IQ is on this if
[28:08] Speaker 6: they can't think of a spin lob.
[28:09] Speaker 3: Come on, man.
[28:10] Speaker 6: Like you could be at the right here. If you
[28:12] Speaker 6: can't do that, then what I mean what because they
[28:14] Speaker 6: thought we got to keep it. We got to keep
[28:15] Speaker 6: it basic as hell.
[28:16] Speaker 7: It's Miss Johnson still playing a guard centric system where
[28:21] Speaker 7: they're doing flares. They're doing the splits and the dribble handoff.
[28:26] Speaker 7: They run the pistol. They run the pistol. They run
[28:28] Speaker 7: the old school pistol, guard to guard, baseline, back screen
[28:32] Speaker 7: on the backside for the three. They turned it over twice.
[28:35] Speaker 7: They got two shots off of it twice. But they're
[28:37] Speaker 7: not running no post to post. They're not running no
[28:39] Speaker 7: back screen and Wimby. So then you get the point guard, right?
[28:43] Speaker 7: You and Kenyon playing, right? You come down. You set
[28:47] Speaker 7: the back screen on Kenyon to go to the block.
[28:49] Speaker 7: And if they switch, they can't switch, right? So if
[28:53] Speaker 7: you set a good screen, he got to fight through it.
[28:56] Speaker 7: And then you got the three-pointer coming up. That's an
[28:59] Speaker 7: automatic shot.
[29:00] Speaker 3: Set the flare for you coming off. So they got
[29:01] Speaker 3: to play it off.
[29:02] Speaker 7: Or they got a jump switch from the corner, which
[29:05] Speaker 7: leads Vassell to one of them wide open. It's options
[29:08] Speaker 7: that I'm not seeing they taking advantage of based on.
[29:10] Speaker 3: And wasn't in the make shot yesterday.
[29:12] Speaker 2: But what's their offense?
[29:13] Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right.
[29:14] Speaker 7: Their offense is just out there like a.
[29:16] Speaker 3: It's not the Princeton.
[29:18] Speaker 2: Or out one in, right?
[29:18] Speaker 3: To his point. Or out one in.
[29:20] Speaker 8: To his point, it's a guard-centered, centric offense, right? And
[29:24] Speaker 8: you got to implement some plays because you have a big.
[29:29] Speaker 7: Got a big ass set like the Orlando with Dwight.
[29:32] Speaker 7: Not even because the white would go down there.
[29:35] Speaker 2: When be not they not they not they have him.
[29:37] Speaker 7: Flaring but it's one in four out right the pick
[29:40] Speaker 7: and roll when they do the little pick and roll
[29:42] Speaker 7: but what they doing the OKC is they coming all
[29:44] Speaker 7: the way across tagging him making them pass it on
[29:47] Speaker 7: and they closing out so that's that's how you supposed
[29:50] Speaker 7: to guard it But you can't just do pick and
[29:52] Speaker 7: roll and just depend on throwing it up to Wimby.
[29:55] Speaker 2: No facts.
[29:55] Speaker 3: And remember what they was doing?
[29:56] Speaker 2: They was pushing his ass out, and they was boxing
[29:58] Speaker 2: him out, doing all that other shit. Well, you better
[30:00] Speaker 2: play him because you let him catch the ball where
[30:02] Speaker 2: he want to is going to be an issue.
[30:03] Speaker 3: They got to change it up, man.
[30:04] Speaker 7: It was a frustrating game to watch, but it's good
[30:07] Speaker 7: for entertainment to get 1-1 going into it.
[30:10] Speaker 1: So you talk about the Spurs 4-1 against the Thunder
[30:13] Speaker 1: in the regular season. I think we're in control for
[30:16] Speaker 1: game one, but we're still a Wimby logo three away
[30:19] Speaker 1: from losing that game.
[30:20] Speaker 2: Facts.
[30:21] Speaker 1: And potentially being down 0-2, now going back to San Antonio.
[30:24] Speaker 1: Obviously got that win. Thunder, backs against the wall. You know,
[30:27] Speaker 1: this felt like a, you know, very important for them game.
[30:30] Speaker 1: You know, they're not trying to go down 0-2 going
[30:31] Speaker 1: to San Antonio. But which side should have the confidence now?
[30:35] Speaker 1: Especially with San Antonio potentially getting De'Aaron Fox back, which
[30:38] Speaker 1: should alleviate some of those turnovers. But now the Thunder
[30:41] Speaker 1: being without Jalen Williams, which... They were without him for
[30:44] Speaker 1: a large part of the season, but that's a big
[30:46] Speaker 1: loss on their side, too.
[30:47] Speaker 7: Mitchell might not be out. Mitchell might be out, too.
[30:50] Speaker 7: I think he got hurt in the end. So you're
[30:52] Speaker 7: looking at Mitchell, Harper. Hopefully, I think Fox will play back.
[30:56] Speaker 7: I think Fox is going to come back. I don't think,
[30:58] Speaker 7: unless it was one of them high ankle sprains, it's
[31:00] Speaker 7: hard to get back from.
[31:01] Speaker 1: I feel like after they won game one, like, hey,
[31:03] Speaker 1: we can rest you a little bit.
[31:04] Speaker 7: Oh, you were playing with house money, so now you're
[31:06] Speaker 7: getting ready for game three.
[31:07] Speaker 3: So I think it was smart. Yeah.
[31:08] Speaker 8: Like, if you didn't play game one, I'm saying, as
[31:11] Speaker 8: much as I shit as I talked about you not
[31:12] Speaker 8: playing the game and it irks me and you playing
[31:14] Speaker 8: the next one, we.
[31:16] Speaker 3: Playing with house money.
[31:17] Speaker 8: We would love for you to come back, but if
[31:18] Speaker 8: we can get you another two, two, two, two, three
[31:21] Speaker 8: days of rest.
[31:24] Speaker 1: I can get with that one. Reverse in B's situation, right?
[31:28] Speaker 1: B played one, sat out two. Should have played one.
[31:31] Speaker 1: You lost one anyway, so. Yeah, got smacked in game one,
[31:34] Speaker 1: but they won it.
[31:35] Speaker 7: I think Harper plays his next game, too. I think,
[31:37] Speaker 7: like what you just said, we could potentially be down
[31:39] Speaker 7: 2-0 right now. based on how it all turned out.
[31:42] Speaker 7: But also, we were out one guy. Half of the game,
[31:45] Speaker 7: we were out another guy. And, you know, essentially, these
[31:49] Speaker 7: are guys that we need for this.
[31:51] Speaker 3: Guy and their guys. We depend on that guy. Yeah.
[31:54] Speaker 3: We need Dylan Harper. Right?
[31:56] Speaker 7: You see what he was doing in the first quarter
[31:58] Speaker 7: against Lou Dort. Like, Lou Doerr's a fucking linebacker. He
[32:02] Speaker 7: out there bullying that man, laying him up. So we
[32:05] Speaker 7: need that scoring. You don't have that if he's out.
[32:08] Speaker 7: Who the fuck going to give that?
[32:10] Speaker 8: Yeah, but your question, I think San Antonio has the
[32:13] Speaker 8: confidence going back home.
[32:15] Speaker 2: Sure.
[32:15] Speaker 3: Right?
[32:16] Speaker 8: Winning game one, not getting smacked in game two. Good
[32:20] Speaker 8: game in game two. Well, we without two of our guys,
[32:23] Speaker 8: potentially get both our guys back, and especially one guy
[32:26] Speaker 8: that could alleviate some of our turnover problems.
[32:28] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[32:31] Speaker 8: Yeah, I think San Antonio is going, because Shea understands
[32:34] Speaker 8: that they got to play. His statements after the game
[32:37] Speaker 8: said they understand. Like, this team is, they want to
[32:41] Speaker 8: beat us.
[32:42] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[32:42] Speaker 8: And we got to be on our A-plus game in
[32:45] Speaker 8: order to, and we know, we understand we didn't play that.
[32:48] Speaker 8: And we have to, we're going to have to play
[32:51] Speaker 8: as close to those games as we can down in
[32:53] Speaker 8: San Antonio.
[32:53] Speaker 7: Reps can't save us at San Antonio either. So I'm
[32:57] Speaker 7: thinking that's what they're thinking. Like, we had favor. based
[33:00] Speaker 7: on a lot of things go our way. But this time,
[33:03] Speaker 7: I'm thinking, Mitch and them gotta be sending footage in,
[33:06] Speaker 7: gotta be like, come on, man. Like, we got a
[33:08] Speaker 7: hole here, we got a hole here. A lot of
[33:11] Speaker 7: shit's happening that y'all need to clean up. Even though
[33:13] Speaker 7: none of those things are excuses, but just to see
[33:16] Speaker 7: it as a fan and watch it and be like, yo, like,
[33:19] Speaker 7: ain't no way they're gonna be doing this in San Antonio.
[33:22] Speaker 3: Ain't no way.
[33:23] Speaker 7: So the fact that Wimby should be sigh of relief, like,
[33:26] Speaker 7: all right, at least we're going home and I know
[33:28] Speaker 7: I'm gonna get some calls. so I can play a
[33:30] Speaker 7: little bit more free. But I think he was reluctant
[33:33] Speaker 7: to even make drives. He had the ball on the
[33:35] Speaker 7: wing one time against Harkinstein. He was about to go,
[33:38] Speaker 7: and he just passed that bitch. He was like, man,
[33:40] Speaker 7: you know what? He not about to hack the fuck out.
[33:41] Speaker 3: Of me, man. Well, you can't have that mentality. No,
[33:43] Speaker 3: he can't. You can't.
[33:44] Speaker 7: I'm thinking you still got to drive him, Ricardo. You
[33:47] Speaker 7: still got to drive him. He young. He 22. So
[33:50] Speaker 7: he's just like, man, you know what?
[33:52] Speaker 3: Go ahead. One of y'all take it.
[33:54] Speaker 7: With the holding and the grabbing and the non-calls and
[33:57] Speaker 7: all that, I shouldn't have to challenge a play and
[34:00] Speaker 7: lose my fucking challenge because y'all not doing y'all job.
[34:04] Speaker 3: Certain things like that, man.
[34:06] Speaker 7: Like, all right now, man. I got to challenge a play.
[34:10] Speaker 7: It's obvious.
[34:12] Speaker 8: If we're watching this shit and we all looking at
[34:15] Speaker 8: the game and we can see it from the team, like,
[34:18] Speaker 8: this motherfucker been holding the whole, that whole possession he
[34:21] Speaker 8: was holding him.
[34:23] Speaker 3: And I have to use a challenge.
[34:25] Speaker 8: Now I'm without a challenge for the rest of the
[34:27] Speaker 8: game because I had to challenge one earlier that y'all
[34:29] Speaker 8: got wrong that was obvious.
[34:31] Speaker 3: For his foul.
[34:32] Speaker 8: And then I got another one. So with that, are
[34:40] Speaker 8: the other referees watching the games.
[34:43] Speaker 3: And being like. Got to clean it up. I got
[34:45] Speaker 3: to clean it up. So that's my thing. I mean, or,
[34:49] Speaker 3: you know.
[34:51] Speaker 2: I mean, I got OKC.
[34:54] Speaker 7: Game three?
[34:54] Speaker 2: Yeah, I got OKC with the confidence.
[34:56] Speaker 3: Oh, with the confidence.
[34:57] Speaker 6: With the confidence and just going in, I think they
[34:59] Speaker 6: have more depth. Especially if Harper and Fox is out,
[35:03] Speaker 6: they got McCain coming off the bench, even if you
[35:04] Speaker 6: do lose J-Dub and A.J. And then you got the
[35:09] Speaker 6: unethical Hooper.
[35:12] Speaker 1: Who's the unethical Hooper, Mr. B?
[35:14] Speaker 3: Caroline, can you.
[35:16] Speaker 2: Can you please give it to me? You know, when
[35:18] Speaker 2: you have a guy like this, you know, that you
[35:21] Speaker 2: can't touch. Mr.
[35:22] Speaker 3: B's words.
[35:24] Speaker 2: You know, unethical hoops, you know, by underdog. It just dropped.
[35:28] Speaker 2: It's a game that I think you need to have.
[35:31] Speaker 3: Me, I need to have it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So
[35:32] Speaker 3: you know what it is?
[35:33] Speaker 2: Have you seen this? So, you know, you take it out.
[35:36] Speaker 3: This is pretty amazing, people.
[35:38] Speaker 2: You know, you turn it on and you know, this
[35:39] Speaker 2: is what happens when you touch them.
[35:41] Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
[35:41] Speaker 2: You know, so.
[35:42] Speaker 3: You gotta show the people what it is though. You
[35:45] Speaker 3: gotta show them who it is.
[35:47] Speaker 6: You know, this is SGA. It's only a hundred million
[35:49] Speaker 6: right now. Make sure y'all get it. Unethical Hooper. Can't
[35:52] Speaker 6: touch it. Don't touch it. But you got, you got
[35:54] Speaker 6: the first one. Let me see if I can.
[35:56] Speaker 3: Go ahead. Don't, don't be careful. I gotta be careful.
[35:58] Speaker 3: Can't touch it.
[36:00] Speaker 2: Hold on.
[36:00] Speaker 3: Let me get, let me go ahead and get this
[36:01] Speaker 3: motherfucker right.
[36:02] Speaker 7: Ah!
[36:07] Speaker 2: There you go. I'm going to play without fouls.
[36:10] Speaker 7: You got to play without fouls. You got to play
[36:14] Speaker 7: without fouls, baby boy.
[36:17] Speaker 2: Come on, man.
[36:19] Speaker 7: I'll be playing that game all the time.
[36:21] Speaker 2: Baby, don't touch me. 100 made, man, right now.
[36:24] Speaker 3: That's fire. That's fire. Put it up so the people
[36:27] Speaker 3: can see it. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's fire.
[36:30] Speaker 1: Who is the player on the box with SGA?
[36:33] Speaker 3: Man, that's crazy. You look like K.J.
[36:34] Speaker 2: Martin.
[36:35] Speaker 1: That's what I feel like.
[36:38] Speaker 2: K.J., stop hacking.
[36:39] Speaker 3: You be hacking.
[36:42] Speaker 1: Again, we do not support this game, SGA. Shout out
[36:45] Speaker 1: Vaughn Alexander as well.
[36:46] Speaker 2: Boom.
[36:47] Speaker 3: Get the boom. No booming.
[36:49] Speaker 1: But let's talk about the game two.
[36:52] Speaker 3: What does it say? Don't get baited. Steal the ball
[36:54] Speaker 3: without getting the whistle. Without getting the whistle. That's crazy.
[36:58] Speaker 3: Let's talk about the game. He did a lot of
[36:59] Speaker 3: baiting last night. A lot of falling.
[37:02] Speaker 1: Manipulating the game to your advantage. Taylor's oldest time.
[37:05] Speaker 3: That's crazy, though, man.
[37:07] Speaker 8: When you see it in unison, like the compilation, when
[37:13] Speaker 8: you see it back, you're like, dude, you really trying.
[37:17] Speaker 2: To get them to blow this motherfucking pistol? You really
[37:19] Speaker 2: falling on the ground a lot, my boy. A whole lot, man.
[37:22] Speaker 7: Shit.
[37:23] Speaker 3: We get it. Yeah, we need to start counting. Hey,
[37:25] Speaker 3: that's what we need. We need a fall tracker. Man,
[37:29] Speaker 3: get that counter going.
[37:30] Speaker 8: Between him and, so we need to put, so Joel
[37:32] Speaker 8: out of it, right? But Carl Anthony Towns is in
[37:35] Speaker 8: that motherfucking conversation too.
[37:36] Speaker 3: For sure.
[37:38] Speaker 2: Absolutely.
[37:38] Speaker 3: So Brunson flopped, but he don't fall. Falling. On the ground, actually,
[37:42] Speaker 3: your ass touching the floor. After all that.
[37:44] Speaker 1: Right?
[37:44] Speaker 7: We definitely need a fall counter.
[37:49] Speaker 1: All right, well, let's talk about the Game 2 Wimby Stopper.
[37:52] Speaker 1: Just Game 2. No telling if this will be a
[37:54] Speaker 1: long-term situation. So Isaiah Hardenstein played just 12 minutes game one.
[37:59] Speaker 1: Wimby had his way with the Thunder defense. It came
[38:01] Speaker 1: up big defensively in game two. Earhart was the final
[38:04] Speaker 1: defender on Wimby on 47 plays in game two. Wimby's
[38:07] Speaker 1: paint scoring dropped from 26 points in game one to
[38:09] Speaker 1: just 10 in game two. In his on-court interview after
[38:13] Speaker 1: the win, SGA offered an interesting response when asked about
[38:17] Speaker 1: Hardenstein's defensive impact.
[38:19] Speaker 2: You all made a pivot defensively, Hart on Wimby. What
[38:22] Speaker 2: kind of impact did Isaiah have tonight? I'm not sure
[38:27] Speaker 2: if it was good, to be honest. Yeah.
[38:30] Speaker 7: Break that down for me.
[38:31] Speaker 3: Say again?
[38:32] Speaker 2: Break that down for me. Why was his impact not good?
[38:36] Speaker 3: It was all right. It was good. It was good.
[38:39] Speaker 3: So we heard that on court.
[38:41] Speaker 1: Shea later clarified his on-court comments about iHeart during his
[38:44] Speaker 1: post-game interview.
[38:46] Speaker 4: He's changed our dynamic since the first game he's played.
[38:50] Speaker 4: He's our physicality. He's our backbone. He's our bruiser. set screens,
[38:56] Speaker 4: rebounds for us. He's physical. He also obviously is very skilled,
[39:02] Speaker 4: like can pass, play in the pocket, makes the next play.
[39:05] Speaker 3: He helps us a lot out there.
[39:07] Speaker 4: We saw his effectiveness tonight for sure on a very
[39:11] Speaker 4: high stage, very high stakes in this game.
[39:13] Speaker 2: Shay, your answer on Hart in the post-game interview on
[39:16] Speaker 2: the court was different than the one in here. Can
[39:19] Speaker 2: you just kind of explain what was going on there?
[39:23] Speaker 3: I didn't really hear it.
[39:24] Speaker 4: And then once I realized what she said, I gave
[39:27] Speaker 4: her the right answer.
[39:29] Speaker 3: Yeah, at first I didn't. heard it wrong, what she said.
[39:32] Speaker 1: So, made comments on the court, then had the remix
[39:35] Speaker 1: to Ignition.
[39:36] Speaker 2: Yes, he did.
[39:36] Speaker 3: His post-game comment. I'm fresh out the kitchen.
[39:41] Speaker 1: When you look at Isaiah Hartenstein, what he was able
[39:43] Speaker 1: to do defensively against Wimby in game two, how impressed
[39:46] Speaker 1: were you by I Heart's defensive performance?
[39:49] Speaker 8: All right, man. Somebody had to step up to the challenge.
[39:51] Speaker 8: You couldn't give up 41 and 24. And again, we
[39:56] Speaker 8: thought it was going to have to lean on Chet
[39:58] Speaker 8: because Isaiah didn't play number 12 minutes in the first game.
[40:02] Speaker 8: But it was, he spent 47 possessions on him. So
[40:08] Speaker 8: it didn't hurt to have him on him. He's not
[40:12] Speaker 8: looking to score. He scores when opportunities present themselves. But
[40:18] Speaker 8: he did what he had to do, man. He understands
[40:19] Speaker 8: that it's a tough matchup. Wimby is a star in
[40:23] Speaker 8: this league. He gets a lot of calls. He's going
[40:24] Speaker 8: to get a lot of touches. So how can I
[40:27] Speaker 8: affect him? And whatever I have to do in order
[40:29] Speaker 8: to put my mark on this game, that's what.
[40:32] Speaker 3: Isaiah did, right?
[40:33] Speaker 8: He went out there and competed at a high level,
[40:36] Speaker 8: offensive rebound, made some huge passes like he always does,
[40:40] Speaker 8: but he competed. So, yeah, like I said, I– It
[40:45] Speaker 8: was some of it. I'm like, damn, big fella, but
[40:48] Speaker 8: I get it. That's what he had to do in
[40:52] Speaker 8: order to help his team in order to try to
[40:55] Speaker 8: achieve a W. And there's going to be more needed
[40:58] Speaker 8: of that throughout the series. It's going to be a
[40:59] Speaker 8: long series.
[41:02] Speaker 2: And he played as if they can't call them off.
[41:05] Speaker 2: So his effort was A +.
[41:10] Speaker 8: He did what he had to do in order to compete.
[41:12] Speaker 8: So that's what you got to do, man, when a
[41:14] Speaker 8: guy is that real. that good, the playing fields are
[41:18] Speaker 8: not even, and he understands that. So how can I
[41:21] Speaker 8: even get it to as even as I possibly can
[41:25] Speaker 8: to go in my favor?
[41:26] Speaker 3: And it's what I have to do.
[41:28] Speaker 2: So.
[41:29] Speaker 7: I ain't going to cheat you, I'm going to beat you.
[41:31] Speaker 1: Hey. So, Sean, what are your thoughts on iHeart's defense
[41:35] Speaker 1: on Victor Wimbinyama, also known as Wamba Wamba?
[41:37] Speaker 7: I don't call it defense. Can't call it defense. You
[41:41] Speaker 7: can call it a tactic. You know, he had great tactics.
[41:46] Speaker 7: But defense, you can't call it that, especially when it
[41:50] Speaker 7: comes down to the rebounding and offensive capabilities Wimby had
[41:54] Speaker 7: throughout the game, second, you know, put it up, put.
[41:57] Speaker 3: It back up, things like that.
[42:00] Speaker 7: I think he did a great job rotating back to
[42:02] Speaker 7: Wimby in situations of the pick and roll, making sure
[42:05] Speaker 7: he got back to him on rotations. I think he
[42:09] Speaker 7: did a great job. getting position on when be under
[42:13] Speaker 7: the basket because when we don't box out and being
[42:16] Speaker 7: able to move him out the way to get the
[42:18] Speaker 7: offensive rebounds a couple of times, he did do.
[42:19] Speaker 3: It, but it was a desperate.
[42:24] Speaker 7: Adjustment that they needed to just try anything to avoid
[42:29] Speaker 7: going down to all. And I think for it to
[42:31] Speaker 7: pan out for them, you can try to give them credit,
[42:34] Speaker 7: but I don't think it's going to work in the
[42:35] Speaker 7: long term, the long term. And I think they did
[42:38] Speaker 7: it too early. I think they, They showed their hand
[42:41] Speaker 7: too early because now they don't got nothing else that
[42:44] Speaker 7: they can do other than that. And if we can
[42:46] Speaker 7: get him in foul trouble early, get him off the floor,
[42:50] Speaker 7: break Chet's wheel like we've done in every game that
[42:53] Speaker 7: we've played and frustrate SGA because I think he's frustrated.
[42:58] Speaker 7: I can tell in that press conference he's frustrated with
[43:01] Speaker 7: how the team is responding to the way that San
[43:06] Speaker 7: Antonio is playing against them. It's like They got their number,
[43:10] Speaker 7: and he don't understand why. He don't understand, like, I
[43:13] Speaker 7: know I can get my shit off against them, but damn, like,
[43:15] Speaker 7: what's really going on with the rest of us? Why
[43:18] Speaker 7: are they responding this way? Caruso probably the only other
[43:22] Speaker 7: player that really responds like, it's just another team. You know,
[43:27] Speaker 7: let's play hard. Let's play smart. And even Caruso knows
[43:30] Speaker 7: that a lot of those shots that he's getting is
[43:33] Speaker 7: based on the strategy that we're putting on them. And
[43:36] Speaker 7: if we change anything, he can be taken out of
[43:38] Speaker 7: the game in any given moment. So it's a game
[43:43] Speaker 7: of circumstance right now for OKC. They don't look like
[43:47] Speaker 7: they actually have a plan to win. They look like
[43:50] Speaker 7: they're just winning by way of our mistakes. We blew
[43:54] Speaker 7: that game last night. I don't think they won the game.
[43:57] Speaker 7: I don't think they took the game. I think we
[43:59] Speaker 7: gave them that shit. And We correct our mistakes, we
[44:04] Speaker 7: win that game. Even in game one, we win the
[44:06] Speaker 7: game by more. If we do the things like not
[44:10] Speaker 7: have 11 turnovers by Castle in game one, don't have
[44:14] Speaker 7: nine turnovers in game two, it's a different game. But
[44:19] Speaker 7: if it was a fifth, we'd be drunk as fuck.
[44:21] Speaker 7: So I ain't no ifs. It is what it is.
[44:24] Speaker 7: We just got to come back and do something different.
[44:26] Speaker 7: But Harkestan is a non-factor.
[44:28] Speaker 2: For sure.
[44:29] Speaker 7: We're not fucking worried about that.
[44:30] Speaker 3: This is a game two fix. This is not a
[44:32] Speaker 3: long time. We're not tripping on him. Fixing this series. Mr. B,
[44:34] Speaker 3: do you agree or disagree with that sentiment?
[44:36] Speaker 2: Man, back to Kenya's point, man.
[44:38] Speaker 6: When you're playing for a championship, you're in the Western
[44:42] Speaker 6: Conference Finals, you got to find somebody that wants to
[44:45] Speaker 6: take on the challenge. He was looking for Chet, and
[44:48] Speaker 6: Harkestine came in, and he was just aggressive. First game, Wimby,
[44:52] Speaker 6: he had his way. He was able to get into
[44:54] Speaker 6: the paint. He was able to do whatever he wanted.
[44:56] Speaker 1: Yes.
[44:58] Speaker 2: And then, you know, game two, you know, it was difficult.
[45:01] Speaker 2: They were more physical winning.
[45:04] Speaker 6: OKC, they are, you know, they have won nine straight
[45:07] Speaker 6: when they do lose, so that means they do make
[45:08] Speaker 6: adjustments and things like that. But, I mean, as far as,
[45:13] Speaker 6: you know, their bench, their bench is outscoring the Spurs. McCain,
[45:17] Speaker 6: he's playing unbelievable. And I think if he just stays,
[45:21] Speaker 6: like King said, if he just tries to just equal
[45:23] Speaker 6: it or just tries to, you know, just make it,
[45:25] Speaker 6: competitive as much as you can and be physical, I
[45:28] Speaker 6: think they'll be fine.
[45:30] Speaker 2: You know, regular season is regular season.
[45:32] Speaker 6: I mean, but this is the, you know, this is
[45:34] Speaker 6: for it all. So intensities are going up. You know,
[45:37] Speaker 6: this team has never been there before. So OKC does
[45:39] Speaker 6: still have the upper hand over them. So just depends on,
[45:42] Speaker 6: you know, how they come out in game three.
[45:44] Speaker 8: Yeah, it's borderline dirty. Don't want to go dirty. You
[45:53] Speaker 8: want to compete. You don't want to go dirty. I
[45:55] Speaker 8: go back to what we told Dante about Kobe, right?
[45:59] Speaker 8: And this fool went and pushed him in his back. Like, no,
[46:02] Speaker 8: we didn't tell you to do that.
[46:04] Speaker 3: Right. But did you tell him not to do that?
[46:06] Speaker 7: No, we didn't tell you not to, but we didn't
[46:08] Speaker 7: want you to go dirty.
[46:09] Speaker 3: We didn't want you to do that.
[46:12] Speaker 2: Now we're not paying no calls.
[46:13] Speaker 3: So now, yeah, so it's that, right? So there's a
[46:15] Speaker 3: fine line in.
[46:16] Speaker 2: That, but.
[46:21] Speaker 8: Another thing like just strategy-wise, right, the zone that San
[46:24] Speaker 8: Antonio implemented and that double team we talked about yesterday
[46:28] Speaker 8: and how just running, I can see you coming at
[46:31] Speaker 8: me and I just run two guys at you. All
[46:34] Speaker 8: he does is back up, back up to get you further,
[46:37] Speaker 8: the two guys further away from the basket, throw it
[46:39] Speaker 8: right in the middle to Caruso or Hardenstein. They're going
[46:44] Speaker 8: to make plays. That doesn't work against this team. That
[46:48] Speaker 8: zone and you double-teaming Shan in the middle of the
[46:50] Speaker 8: floor doesn't work against OKC. It's not going to work.
[46:54] Speaker 8: So I just think it's bad. I see you running
[46:59] Speaker 8: at me. There's no surprise to it. And they're getting
[47:03] Speaker 8: everything out of it that they want. They're getting the
[47:05] Speaker 8: lob to Chet. They're getting the Caruso through the lob
[47:07] Speaker 8: to Chet.
[47:08] Speaker 3: That was the zone they played. Yeah, but it's the
[47:11] Speaker 3: same thing. You let him get in.
[47:12] Speaker 2: So you got two guys.
[47:13] Speaker 7: He's backing up. You still coming up. He threw the
[47:16] Speaker 7: ball right in the middle of the floor. He got
[47:17] Speaker 7: the lob to Chet.
[47:18] Speaker 8: He got the baseline pass to AJ Mitchell on the
[47:23] Speaker 8: baseline with the little reverse. They got everything they wanted
[47:26] Speaker 8: out of it. They just missed a few shots as well. Yeah,
[47:30] Speaker 8: it has to be a surprise. It has to be,
[47:33] Speaker 8: I can't see you running at me. He's a really
[47:35] Speaker 8: good basketball player. He's a smart basketball player, and that's
[47:38] Speaker 8: not going to work.
[47:41] Speaker 1: Let's talk about the Spurs' ball security issues briefly before
[47:45] Speaker 1: we move on. Stephon Castleman holding it down as the
[47:47] Speaker 1: primary ball handler with the Aaron Fox sideline. His responsibilities
[47:50] Speaker 1: increased in Game 2, obviously after Dylan Harper left the
[47:54] Speaker 1: game midway through the third quarter. Castle, we'll talk about
[47:56] Speaker 1: the good first 21 points, nearly 10 assists per game
[47:59] Speaker 1: through these first two games. but also has 20 turnovers,
[48:02] Speaker 1: most by a player in a two-game span in NBA
[48:04] Speaker 1: playoff history. Spurs are averaging 22 turnovers per game so
[48:08] Speaker 1: far in the season, minus 28 in points off turnovers.
[48:11] Speaker 1: And quickly, Stephon Castle, 20 turnovers through two games in
[48:14] Speaker 1: this series, had 16 total turnovers in six games against
[48:18] Speaker 1: the Timberwolves. So if you're the Spurs, are you looking
[48:21] Speaker 1: at that in a positive light? Like, hey, if we
[48:23] Speaker 1: can just neutralize this, shut this down, we should be
[48:26] Speaker 1: able to wins in the series, or are you starting
[48:28] Speaker 1: to get a little concerned?
[48:30] Speaker 6: Oh, no, it's a big concern because he's not a
[48:32] Speaker 6: one or a two. He should play a three. And
[48:36] Speaker 6: his decision-making is very low, as we see. So it's
[48:40] Speaker 6: very concerning. And going into the game three, if he's
[48:43] Speaker 6: going to be your main point guard, then I can
[48:45] Speaker 6: see OKC beating their ass. So that's just what it is.
[48:50] Speaker 6: Great defender, plays very hard, but sometimes you're killing us. Well,
[48:55] Speaker 6: I mean, Like you said, you're killing us.
[48:57] Speaker 3: It ain't hard, but you're killing us.
[48:59] Speaker 7: Considering that we're going to bring film sessions back brought
[49:03] Speaker 7: to you by Underdog, and we're going to actually break
[49:06] Speaker 7: this shit down and show you, play by play, why
[49:11] Speaker 7: Stephon Castle's turnovers aren't as big a deal as it looked,
[49:17] Speaker 7: simply because he has to understand that a guy like
[49:20] Speaker 7: Kaysen Wallace is counting his dribbles when he brings the
[49:24] Speaker 7: ball up. He's watching him. He has his timing. He's
[49:28] Speaker 7: playing with the ball. It's like playing with your food.
[49:30] Speaker 7: Stop playing with your food. If you're going to go
[49:32] Speaker 7: buy him, go buy him. If we're setting the offense up,
[49:34] Speaker 7: all right, that's one thing. The bright spot about Stephon
[49:36] Speaker 7: Castle is he can pass the ball.
[49:38] Speaker 3: He does make the right plays.
[49:39] Speaker 7: 10 assists, did you say?
[49:41] Speaker 1: 19 assists, 20 turnovers in these two games.
[49:45] Speaker 7: So when you talk about what he's done productive-wise throughout
[49:50] Speaker 7: the season, passing the ball and being able to be
[49:53] Speaker 7: the guy that Deion Fox is not when you're talking
[49:56] Speaker 7: about facilitating and allowing him to be a scorer, he
[49:59] Speaker 7: can do that. But when you give him the spotlight
[50:03] Speaker 7: on bringing it up and handling the ball and making
[50:07] Speaker 7: the plays, it's a lot of those things when you've
[50:08] Speaker 7: got a defensive team like this that's going to It's
[50:11] Speaker 7: going to foul you. He's trying to do the James
[50:15] Speaker 7: Harden swipe through and all that shit. If you don't
[50:19] Speaker 7: get the call, it's a turnover, bro. And he's looking
[50:21] Speaker 7: for the call, and they're not giving it to him.
[50:23] Speaker 7: So those are the little turnovers that he had that
[50:25] Speaker 7: come down and convert to three points, come down and
[50:27] Speaker 7: convert two and ones. And you're talking about at least
[50:31] Speaker 7: four or five of his turnovers being converted to.
[50:36] Speaker 3: At least 12 points.
[50:37] Speaker 7: So that's where the 27 points off turnovers come from.
[50:41] Speaker 7: is just not being able to get back on defense
[50:44] Speaker 7: and actually get a stop after the turnover. I think
[50:47] Speaker 7: if we get a stop after the turnover, it feels
[50:50] Speaker 7: a little bit better rather than we give up an
[50:53] Speaker 7: offensive rebound that leads to a three-pointer and now we're
[50:57] Speaker 7: in a deficit every single time. And that's what's deflating
[51:00] Speaker 7: as a Spurs fan as you're looking and you're like, damn,
[51:03] Speaker 7: he's turning the ball over. We get back, then they score.
[51:07] Speaker 7: That's where it gets really tricky. But I think for
[51:10] Speaker 7: me watching him It's not as a big deal as
[51:13] Speaker 7: it looked.
[51:14] Speaker 3: It looked a lot worse than it is.
[51:16] Speaker 7: I think he can clean up a lot of those
[51:18] Speaker 7: things just by attacking the basket and stop being so
[51:21] Speaker 7: timid with trying to make the right play. And I
[51:23] Speaker 7: think that's what's happening. Everybody's in the passing lane. They're fouling.
[51:27] Speaker 7: They're deflecting. They're doing all the little dirty shit that
[51:30] Speaker 7: you know they're going to do that you're not going
[51:32] Speaker 7: to get calls on. So I think if he can
[51:34] Speaker 7: clean up just being aggressive, going in there, doing what
[51:36] Speaker 7: he was doing late, it can be better. But I
[51:40] Speaker 7: think Dylan Harper needs to do the same thing because
[51:42] Speaker 7: he plays with the ball too. It's a lot of
[51:44] Speaker 7: playing with the ball. Just go by these guys. They're
[51:46] Speaker 7: going to foul you or they're going to let you go.
[51:51] Speaker 2: He's not a playmaker, so he's going to keep turning
[51:53] Speaker 2: over the ball every time. I'm just letting you know.
[51:55] Speaker 2: So every time he get it, he's going to turn
[51:57] Speaker 2: it over.
[51:58] Speaker 3: Like we talked about, those concerns should be.
[51:59] Speaker 7: There's going to be another seven, eight turnovers this past year.
[52:01] Speaker 3: Yeah, I disagree. No, it's alarming.
[52:03] Speaker 8: There's nothing positive about none of that shit.
[52:07] Speaker 3: Keep turning the ball over.
[52:08] Speaker 1: I'm saying from the Spurs standpoint, we haven't had Darren
[52:10] Speaker 1: Fox for two games. We've seen what it looks like.
[52:11] Speaker 1: We can get D-Fox back and we can neutralize some
[52:14] Speaker 1: of the turnovers.
[52:15] Speaker 8: No, you still got the other boys back there. No,
[52:17] Speaker 8: it has to be addressed. Like, fuck, we getting D-Fox back.
[52:21] Speaker 3: Right?
[52:21] Speaker 8: Damn if we getting D-Fox back or not. Hey, young fella,
[52:26] Speaker 8: you got to cherish this ball more. We gotta get
[52:29] Speaker 8: a good shot every possession. We can't, you can't have this,
[52:34] Speaker 8: like this can't be a thing.
[52:36] Speaker 7: It's not a thing. Huh? It's not a thing. It's
[52:38] Speaker 7: been a thing the last two games. It's been a
[52:40] Speaker 7: thing the first two games. Yeah, because we've been without
[52:43] Speaker 7: our point guard.
[52:44] Speaker 3: And?
[52:45] Speaker 2: So it's becoming a thing. Take care of the ball
[52:47] Speaker 2: even more.
[52:48] Speaker 7: He's not the point guard. So why is he at
[52:51] Speaker 7: the one? Because they don't have the primary ball handler.
[52:54] Speaker 7: They have the other guy.
[52:55] Speaker 3: He was handling the ball.
[52:57] Speaker 7: Yo. He's still, he's turning the ball over the same
[53:00] Speaker 7: way Russell Westbrook turned the ball over. I'm being aggressive.
[53:04] Speaker 7: They're not calling fouls. It's a fucking turnover. That's the
[53:08] Speaker 7: same thing.
[53:08] Speaker 2: Like I said. It's not a foul. It's a turnover.
[53:10] Speaker 3: It's a turnover.
[53:10] Speaker 2: If they're not calling the foul.
[53:13] Speaker 3: All of them not.
[53:13] Speaker 2: And it is a foul. All of them not.
[53:16] Speaker 3: It's a turnover.
[53:17] Speaker 8: How many of those 20 turnovers that he had in
[53:19] Speaker 8: two games that you can honestly say that he got fouled?
[53:22] Speaker 3: Ten. Ten. I don't know, man.
[53:24] Speaker 1: Ten.
[53:25] Speaker 3: I can say ten.
[53:25] Speaker 2: I'm watching the game.
[53:27] Speaker 3: I am too. Okay, so we must.
[53:28] Speaker 2: Be watching two different games.
[53:29] Speaker 3: No, not a chance.
[53:30] Speaker 7: You're watching two different games. The playmaking is goddamn.
[53:34] Speaker 3: No.
[53:34] Speaker 2: We're watching two different games. Watching two different games.
[53:38] Speaker 3: Yeah, we are. Watching two different games.
[53:41] Speaker 2: You know what? We are.
[53:42] Speaker 7: Watching two different games.
[53:44] Speaker 2: Like I said, we can break down the film.
[53:46] Speaker 3: If we go break.
[53:47] Speaker 7: Down the film and you guys are wrong, I don't
[53:48] Speaker 7: expect you to admit that you're wrong.
[53:50] Speaker 2: I don't.
[53:51] Speaker 7: Y'all have never admitted that you're wrong before.
[53:55] Speaker 3: That's a lie. No, it's not.
[53:56] Speaker 2: That's a lie.
[53:57] Speaker 3: No, it's not.
[53:57] Speaker 7: He just said he had four turnovers that turned it
[53:59] Speaker 7: to 12 points if he cut them down.
[54:01] Speaker 2: That's a big fucking deal. That's a big deal.
[54:03] Speaker 3: Yes, he had nine.
[54:04] Speaker 7: That means every time you turn it over, we're getting
[54:07] Speaker 7: an and.
[54:07] Speaker 2: One or a three-point ball.
[54:08] Speaker 3: That's a lie. How many live ball turnovers did he have? Yes.
[54:11] Speaker 3: How many live ball turnovers did he have? Unforced turnovers.
[54:13] Speaker 3: How many live ball turnovers did he have?
[54:16] Speaker 7: What's a live ball turnover? Did they go on down
[54:17] Speaker 7: and they... You know what a dead ball turnover is?
[54:20] Speaker 7: What's a live ball turnover? Dead ball and the ball
[54:22] Speaker 7: go out of bounds. Live ball is when they go
[54:25] Speaker 7: down and the ball don't go out of bounds and
[54:26] Speaker 7: they go down to score.
[54:27] Speaker 3: That's a live ball.
[54:29] Speaker 2: Dead ball, they go out of bounds.
[54:31] Speaker 3: Live ball is when they go down to play. Four
[54:33] Speaker 3: of them. Out of 20. After the last game. The
[54:38] Speaker 3: last game we had four.
[54:39] Speaker 7: The one dead ball turnover was Champagne went out to
[54:44] Speaker 7: the corner and he threw it out of bounds. Another turnover,
[54:48] Speaker 7: I don't know if it was a turnover when it
[54:50] Speaker 7: was the backcourt.
[54:52] Speaker 3: The backcourt joint.
[54:52] Speaker 2: These are all unforced turnovers.
[54:55] Speaker 7: That's a dead ball turnover. That's a dead ball turnover.
[54:59] Speaker 7: The other one was when Cason Wallace hit the ball
[55:03] Speaker 7: and went backcourt And he tried to get it in.
[55:06] Speaker 7: It's little things that he is not accustomed to doing.
[55:10] Speaker 7: That's like, yo, it's paladin on because of the momentum
[55:13] Speaker 7: of the defense and the fact that they coach not
[55:16] Speaker 7: making the correction.
[55:17] Speaker 3: I've seen.
[55:18] Speaker 7: I blame Miss Johnson for this boy. Fucking ball.
[55:21] Speaker 3: Yes, I am.
[55:22] Speaker 7: No.
[55:22] Speaker 2: Yes, I am. Yes, I am.
[55:24] Speaker 3: Yes, I am.
[55:25] Speaker 7: The coach is the only person that can mitigate your
[55:28] Speaker 7: point guard turn the ball over.
[55:29] Speaker 3: By not playing it?
[55:29] Speaker 7: Why are you allowing your point guard to bring the
[55:32] Speaker 7: ball up and stop at half court?
[55:33] Speaker 2: Push the ball down.
[55:35] Speaker 3: He's not a point guard.
[55:36] Speaker 7: Obviously, it's the fucking coach's job to tell him.
[55:39] Speaker 2: If he's not the.
[55:40] Speaker 7: Fucking point guard. All he got to do is take
[55:42] Speaker 7: away some of these turnovers.
[55:44] Speaker 2: Is it the coach or is it him? Who's going
[55:45] Speaker 2: to tell him? The coach. All right. Is it the
[55:49] Speaker 2: coach or is it him?
[55:49] Speaker 7: Who's going to tell the fucking player, hey, hey, listen,
[55:53] Speaker 7: bring the ball all the way down. I know you
[55:56] Speaker 7: don't know what to do in these situations. I need
[55:58] Speaker 7: you to do this. You just tried to blame Ms.
[56:00] Speaker 7: Johnson for this boy's turnovers. It's the coach's job to
[56:03] Speaker 7: put the player in the position to do the right thing.
[56:05] Speaker 2: So whose job is it to take care of the
[56:07] Speaker 2: ball then? Everybody.
[56:08] Speaker 3: No, who?
[56:09] Speaker 2: Everybody. Everybody. We're talking about Stephon Castle here. We're not
[56:12] Speaker 2: talking about everybody. Okay.
[56:14] Speaker 7: It's Stephon Castle's job to take care of the ball.
[56:17] Speaker 2: Yes, it is. Yes, it is.
[56:18] Speaker 7: It's his job to take care of the ball. But
[56:21] Speaker 7: it's the coach's job to put him in position so
[56:24] Speaker 7: he doesn't turn the fucking ball over. So come down
[56:27] Speaker 7: and you're getting a back to behind the court turnover.
[56:32] Speaker 7: That's on Mitch? Push the ball down the court. What
[56:35] Speaker 7: play are we running where you got to have the
[56:36] Speaker 7: ball right there?
[56:38] Speaker 2: Why is he in that position?
[56:40] Speaker 3: That's the question we asked Mitch.
[56:42] Speaker 2: Why are we asking?
[56:43] Speaker 3: Hey, Mitch, why is... You're out there.
[56:44] Speaker 2: You know the offense, though. Listen, I am not... You
[56:46] Speaker 2: just said he's a three.
[56:48] Speaker 3: Right.
[56:48] Speaker 2: You just said he's a three. I think he is
[56:50] Speaker 2: a three.
[56:50] Speaker 7: All right, so if he's a three, why the fuck
[56:51] Speaker 7: is he playing the point? Why is he doing the
[56:53] Speaker 7: things he's not accustomed to doing?
[56:55] Speaker 2: You just said.
[56:55] Speaker 7: Okay, the coach supposed to put him in the position
[56:59] Speaker 7: not to.
[57:00] Speaker 2: Be in that position.
[57:01] Speaker 7: So if you got McLaughlin on the fucking bench who's
[57:04] Speaker 7: the point.
[57:04] Speaker 2: Guard, put his ass in the game. He did.
[57:06] Speaker 3: Okay.
[57:07] Speaker 7: And then he stopped turning the ball. The ball wasn't
[57:09] Speaker 7: turned over when McLaughlin was in the game.
[57:10] Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
[57:11] Speaker 7: Not when he was in the game, though. He still
[57:14] Speaker 7: had more turnovers. He still had more turnovers than OKC
[57:16] Speaker 7: whole team. He didn't turn the ball over when the
[57:18] Speaker 7: other point guard was in the game.
[57:21] Speaker 2: Once Dylan Harper got out of.
[57:23] Speaker 7: There, it was up in the air. What happened in
[57:26] Speaker 7: the first game? He had 10 in the first game.
[57:28] Speaker 7: Dylan Harper was out there.
[57:29] Speaker 2: So what happened then?
[57:30] Speaker 3: So what happened then?
[57:31] Speaker 2: Unforced turnovers.
[57:32] Speaker 7: Unforced turnovers. But so he had another guy. Unforced turnovers.
[57:37] Speaker 7: So what happened last night? Yeah.
[57:39] Speaker 2: Unforced turnovers. Okay, so that's on him. That ain't on
[57:42] Speaker 2: the goddamn coach. Yes, it is. It's on everybody. No,
[57:45] Speaker 2: it's on everybody. Unforced turnovers.
[57:47] Speaker 3: That's on you.
[57:47] Speaker 2: It's on everybody. You throw the ball over my head.
[57:50] Speaker 3: It's on everybody.
[57:51] Speaker 2: That ain't on the coach.
[57:52] Speaker 3: Behind my back.
[57:53] Speaker 2: It's on everybody. This Johnson ain't got shit to do
[57:54] Speaker 2: with that. Those are his.
[57:56] Speaker 7: Of course, those are unforced turnovers on him. But there
[57:58] Speaker 7: are other positions he was in that it's like, coach,
[58:03] Speaker 7: why haven't you called a timeout and addressed this position?
[58:07] Speaker 7: So he's turned it over five times in the first
[58:09] Speaker 7: eight minutes.
[58:10] Speaker 2: Timeout. Hey, Steph, what the fuck are we doing, bro?
[58:13] Speaker 7: So he has more unforced turnovers than just turnovers on.
[58:20] Speaker 3: On Mitch.
[58:21] Speaker 7: Where the unforced turnovers is me, right? The other turnovers
[58:25] Speaker 7: are them. Right, so he has more on him than them. No,
[58:29] Speaker 7: I don't think so. So, you don't think Rashad, right?
[58:33] Speaker 7: He had 11 in game one, right? You don't think
[58:37] Speaker 7: Miss Johnson went to this man and be like, listen, son,
[58:39] Speaker 7: you can't have that many turnovers again.
[58:42] Speaker 3: Everybody probably said something to him.
[58:43] Speaker 2: So it came out and had nine.
[58:45] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[58:46] Speaker 2: So how's that on the coach?
[58:47] Speaker 7: They addressed it. How is it on the coach? You
[58:51] Speaker 7: said for him to address it.
[58:53] Speaker 2: Yes, he did.
[58:53] Speaker 7: You made an adjustment. You said addressing it. Did you adjust?
[58:59] Speaker 2: Okay. Yes, son.
[59:00] Speaker 7: Hey, listen, Brandon, stop turning the goddamn ball.
[59:03] Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
[59:03] Speaker 7: I'm going to stop turning the ball.
[59:05] Speaker 3: Over. Okay.
[59:06] Speaker 1: So what are we going to do, coach, to stop
[59:11] Speaker 1: turning the ball?
[59:11] Speaker 2: I just want you to stop turning the ball over.
[59:13] Speaker 2: I can say yes.
[59:14] Speaker 7: I can say, oh, I'm not going.
[59:16] Speaker 2: To do it. There's only one sure way for him
[59:17] Speaker 2: not to turn that bitch over.
[59:19] Speaker 3: No.
[59:19] Speaker 2: Shoot it. No, for him not to play. Shoot it.
[59:22] Speaker 2: And that's not going to happen. That is not the
[59:24] Speaker 2: way that you should.
[59:25] Speaker 3: That is one way. That's one way.
[59:25] Speaker 2: That's a dumb way. That's a dumb way.
[59:30] Speaker 7: That's a crazy way.
[59:32] Speaker 2: But he has to play him. Because he dunk on niggas, right?
[59:36] Speaker 7: Because he has 25 points. He led the team in scoring.
[59:40] Speaker 2: That's why you have to play him.
[59:42] Speaker 7: So you not playing him because you can't adjust your
[59:46] Speaker 7: game to get him not to turn him over?
[59:49] Speaker 2: It's your job as a coach to stop the turnovers.
[59:51] Speaker 3: Move him off the ball.
[59:52] Speaker 2: Is that not the only way? Move him off the ball?
[59:54] Speaker 2: And then what? You won't get turnovers. Put the point
[1:00:01] Speaker 2: guard in. He's still going to turn over the ball.
[1:00:04] Speaker 3: Put the point guard in.
[1:00:04] Speaker 7: He had 11 turnovers with Harper on the court with him.
[1:00:07] Speaker 2: He's still going to turn over. Go ahead, Nate.
[1:00:10] Speaker 7: Going to be less turnovers.
[1:00:12] Speaker 2: Get the ball to Wimby.
[1:00:14] Speaker 7: I'd rather Wimby have them turnovers than Stephon Castle.
[1:00:16] Speaker 3: He had four or five of the motherfuckers himself.
[1:00:18] Speaker 2: Oh, my God. No, you don't.
[1:00:19] Speaker 7: You don't want that. I would much rather it. I
[1:00:21] Speaker 7: know he going to shoot it. He had four himself.
[1:00:23] Speaker 7: I know he going to shoot it. He had four himself,
[1:00:25] Speaker 7: so you can't throw it to him. He throwing that
[1:00:26] Speaker 7: bitch in the backcourt as well. It's up to the
[1:00:28] Speaker 7: coach to make the adjustment.
[1:00:29] Speaker 1: We're going to talk a little bit more Wimby in
[1:00:31] Speaker 1: a moment, but let's talk about a situation that went
[1:00:33] Speaker 1: down in game two. So when nature calls, nature calls,
[1:00:35] Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Carter Bryant found that out the hard way.
[1:00:38] Speaker 1: Here was a video that was hitting the internet during
[1:00:41] Speaker 1: the game. Carter Bryant in the public bathroom. Fucking weirdo.
[1:00:46] Speaker 1: Filming the man taking the deuce.
[1:00:49] Speaker 2: Smoking back here taking a shit.
[1:00:53] Speaker 1: But make sure to wash his hands thoroughly though.
[1:00:56] Speaker 2: You turned it over first.
[1:01:00] Speaker 7: Fuck.
[1:01:01] Speaker 3: Two unforced turnovers.
[1:01:03] Speaker 1: Thoughts on Carter Bryant relieving himself during the game.
[1:01:07] Speaker 3: Turnover.
[1:01:07] Speaker 2: Uh-uh.
[1:01:08] Speaker 3: That was a foul.
[1:01:09] Speaker 7: That was a fucking foul. Okay, Shay.
[1:01:12] Speaker 3: Nobody touch you, Shay. That was a fucking foul. Brandon
[1:01:13] Speaker 3: over here fouling and shit.
[1:01:20] Speaker 2: At least the boy washed his hands.
[1:01:21] Speaker 3: He did wash his hands thoroughly. That is the main
[1:01:23] Speaker 3: thing I took from that video.
[1:01:24] Speaker 2: Some people don't be washing their hands.
[1:01:26] Speaker 3: That boy took a shit.
[1:01:27] Speaker 2: That boy took a shit. Washed his hands properly.
[1:01:29] Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
[1:01:29] Speaker 2: The locker room was too far. The goddamn shirt was
[1:01:32] Speaker 2: still tucked in. That boy was good Reddit, boy.
[1:01:36] Speaker 7: We cannot confirm or deny if it was a one
[1:01:38] Speaker 7: or a two. We have to imagine, though. When you
[1:01:40] Speaker 7: got a boo, you got a boo. You know he
[1:01:42] Speaker 7: come from a good family.
[1:01:43] Speaker 2: Boy, you come out there and watch that pop you.
[1:01:46] Speaker 3: Back in the day. I don't know, man.
[1:01:48] Speaker 7: Going into the public bathroom, I don't know where you
[1:01:50] Speaker 7: was raised at. You just going to go in there?
[1:01:52] Speaker 7: It's like going to the airport. It's like an airport shit. Weirdo, listen,
[1:01:56] Speaker 7: but the person that waited on him outside the stall.
[1:01:59] Speaker 3: Oh, that's different.
[1:02:00] Speaker 7: You saw him go in the stall, the shit, and
[1:02:02] Speaker 7: you waited on him to come out so you can
[1:02:04] Speaker 7: video him coming out the stall.
[1:02:05] Speaker 2: And didn't ask him nothing. That's what I'm saying.
[1:02:08] Speaker 1: You didn't... Oklahoma City, though.
[1:02:11] Speaker 2: What else does it have?
[1:02:13] Speaker 7: You gotta go to the locker room.
[1:02:16] Speaker 2: Ain't that upstairs somewhere? No, no, no. Because the way.
[1:02:19] Speaker 7: OKC is, the locker room is far back, so it's
[1:02:22] Speaker 7: like them suites in between, so they have right in
[1:02:25] Speaker 7: between there somewhere. Gotta go, gotta go. I'm going in
[1:02:28] Speaker 7: the referee locker room. I'm going in the referee locker room.
[1:02:32] Speaker 2: Bro, what are you eating before the game?
[1:02:34] Speaker 3: Burrito doesn't take a shit.
[1:02:35] Speaker 2: No, you know, he nervous as hell.
[1:02:37] Speaker 3: He's a burrito. You know, hey, so you ain't never
[1:02:40] Speaker 3: had the shit during the game?
[1:02:41] Speaker 7: No.
[1:02:42] Speaker 3: Never? No. Boy, shit me.
[1:02:44] Speaker 2: Nah, bro, right before.
[1:02:45] Speaker 3: What? Oh, okay, cool.
[1:02:46] Speaker 2: Before, that's what I'm saying, but before.
[1:02:47] Speaker 3: You don't have to have one of those either.
[1:02:49] Speaker 2: No, before the game? Yeah, get all that pasta stuff
[1:02:52] Speaker 2: out there.
[1:02:52] Speaker 3: You might have to pee, but nah. Yeah, me. I told, hey, man,
[1:02:55] Speaker 3: you better call timeout. Hell nah.
[1:02:59] Speaker 7: I stayed away from the Chinese school before the games.
[1:03:03] Speaker 7: You better take a shit now, man. I want to
[1:03:05] Speaker 7: see you motherfuckers running to the bathroom. The important conversation.
[1:03:09] Speaker 7: Having to take a shit during the game? You out
[1:03:11] Speaker 7: there running with your ass cheeks tight.
[1:03:14] Speaker 3: Dab me up, bro.
[1:03:15] Speaker 2: Don't fart. You better not fart. What was that?
[1:03:18] Speaker 3: Yo. I need one. Motherfucking coach don't give me.
[1:03:28] Speaker 2: He ignore you. He ignore you.
[1:03:30] Speaker 3: File.
[1:03:30] Speaker 2: Got them compression shorts on. That shit gonna slide through.
[1:03:33] Speaker 2: That's your third. Dirty ass little boy.
[1:03:36] Speaker 3: I told you I need one.
[1:03:38] Speaker 7: Man, if you don't take your ass to the fucking
[1:03:41] Speaker 7: locker room and run, boy, we not going to the public.
[1:03:44] Speaker 7: Nigga look under there like, man, is that.
[1:03:46] Speaker 2: A Spurs jersey out there?
[1:03:47] Speaker 3: No, they waited on me.
[1:03:51] Speaker 2: No, they saw him go in and waited on him
[1:03:52] Speaker 2: to come out. He didn't get no autograph or nothing.
[1:03:54] Speaker 1: If you're a regular fan and you see a basketball
[1:03:57] Speaker 1: player in the game.
[1:03:58] Speaker 2: Shaq. Shaq, big ass come out of there. Shaq, big
[1:04:01] Speaker 2: ass come.
[1:04:02] Speaker 3: Out of there.
[1:04:03] Speaker 2: Damn, what you doing?
[1:04:04] Speaker 3: I had to shit. I had to shit.
[1:04:09] Speaker 2: Don't go in there.
[1:04:10] Speaker 3: Y'all don't go in there.
[1:04:11] Speaker 2: All that protein and shit we be drinking. That shit
[1:04:14] Speaker 2: be weird, man.
[1:04:14] Speaker 3: Wait on the man to come out.
[1:04:15] Speaker 7: That shit be dope, dope, dope. The fans are different, man.
[1:04:18] Speaker 7: But Carter Bryant washed his hands thoroughly.
[1:04:20] Speaker 3: Yes, he did.
[1:04:20] Speaker 7: That is Spurs basketball right there. The motherfucker asked for
[1:04:22] Speaker 7: an autograph right next to you. The motherfucker come next
[1:04:24] Speaker 7: to you. Hey, man, you think you can sign? Bro,
[1:04:26] Speaker 7: if you don't get the fuck around.
[1:04:27] Speaker 3: And I'm going to say something. What is you on?
[1:04:29] Speaker 3: You good? I'm definitely going to say something.
[1:04:32] Speaker 7: I'm the one.
[1:04:32] Speaker 8: Hey, so you just going to come ask me why
[1:04:34] Speaker 8: I'm holding my meeting?
[1:04:35] Speaker 7: Man, talking about autographs? Hey, K, you follow that nigga?
[1:04:39] Speaker 7: Did you just follow me in the bathroom?
[1:04:40] Speaker 3: Did you? Yes, he did.
[1:04:42] Speaker 7: And went next to you. Hey, did you just follow
[1:04:44] Speaker 7: me to the bathroom, dog? You know that's weird, right?
[1:04:47] Speaker 2: Do y'all like that now? Yes, definitely like that.
[1:04:50] Speaker 3: Do y'all like that now?
[1:04:52] Speaker 7: Y'all see how they have where the players come out
[1:04:54] Speaker 7: and the fans is right there before you come out?
[1:04:56] Speaker 2: Like how they can shake your hands. Like remember when
[1:04:58] Speaker 2: Westbrook got into it with the guy?
[1:05:00] Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:05:01] Speaker 7: Do y'all like the fact that we're walking through with
[1:05:04] Speaker 7: the fans now?
[1:05:05] Speaker 3: Your fans? Home crowd, yeah. Your fans, yeah. Home, yes.
[1:05:08] Speaker 3: They should have that shit on the road. Your fans,
[1:05:10] Speaker 3: for sure.
[1:05:11] Speaker 7: Okay.
[1:05:11] Speaker 3: Home fans, absolutely. They should be able to interact. But
[1:05:14] Speaker 3: the road?
[1:05:14] Speaker 8: Yeah, because they got to have the footballs. They got
[1:05:16] Speaker 8: to have a lot of the football joins out of Cowboys.
[1:05:19] Speaker 8: The Rams join us like that now. Rams and Chargers
[1:05:22] Speaker 8: join us like that in one of them suites. where
[1:05:24] Speaker 8: the fans, you can walk out in the fans. I
[1:05:26] Speaker 8: think that's dope for the home fans, for the home team, yes.
[1:05:29] Speaker 8: But it shouldn't be that way for the road.
[1:05:31] Speaker 1: All right, let's keep this thing moving. We're going to
[1:05:33] Speaker 1: talk a little bit. We're going to say something crazy,
[1:05:35] Speaker 1: as you know. Talk a little Wamba Wamba, but the
[1:05:39] Speaker 1: other side of the game for Victor Wiminyala. Before Game 2,
[1:05:41] Speaker 1: ESPN's Ramona Shelburne dropped an article detailing Wimby's grueling, nearly
[1:05:46] Speaker 1: two-week-long training with monks at the Shaolin Temple in China
[1:05:49] Speaker 1: last summer, including an interview with Master Yan Nan, who
[1:05:53] Speaker 1: oversaw Wimmy's training at the temple. So after having a
[1:05:56] Speaker 1: sophomore campaign prematurely ended by a blood clot, Wimmy's agent
[1:05:59] Speaker 1: planned the retreat with the Shaolin master, who's a 34th
[1:06:03] Speaker 1: generation warrior.
[1:06:04] Speaker 3: Monk who trained at the temple since he was six.
[1:06:06] Speaker 1: So Wimmy's training included constant meditation, nighttime hikes in total darkness,
[1:06:11] Speaker 1: running through forests, a martial arts regimen designed to help
[1:06:14] Speaker 1: the alien control his center of gravity to prepare him
[1:06:16] Speaker 1: for the physical play he would face from NBA opponents,
[1:06:19] Speaker 1: and a nearly five-hour hike to a monastery, which Wimby
[1:06:22] Speaker 1: did while dribbling a basketball. Wimby's agent also reached out
[1:06:25] Speaker 1: to Rob Palenka to gain better insight to how Kobe
[1:06:28] Speaker 1: approached his training. As well, as we know, Wimby spent
[1:06:31] Speaker 1: time working with Hakeem and KG as well. But Sean,
[1:06:33] Speaker 1: when you look at Victor Wimiyama, 21, 22 years old,
[1:06:36] Speaker 1: I believe 21 years old at this point, had the
[1:06:38] Speaker 1: blood clot.
[1:06:39] Speaker 3: Talked about how that.
[1:06:40] Speaker 1: Situation made him really appreciate and respect and understand that
[1:06:43] Speaker 1: Nothing lasts forever. He needs to take advantage of the
[1:06:45] Speaker 1: opportunity that he has. What are your thoughts on Wimmy's
[1:06:47] Speaker 1: unconventional approach to improving his game on and off the court?
[1:06:50] Speaker 7: I think it's very conventional. I don't think it's unconventional
[1:06:53] Speaker 7: at all. As a fellow monk myself, trained by Pai Mei,
[1:06:58] Speaker 7: if you didn't know who Pai Mei is, you need
[1:07:02] Speaker 7: to figure it out. when you when you got that
[1:07:06] Speaker 7: meditation that calmness yes the stillness you know i'm saying
[1:07:10] Speaker 7: and when the master teaches you the right things you
[1:07:13] Speaker 7: know you learn to overcome adversity a lot quicker than
[1:07:18] Speaker 7: those who are triggered by um circumstances.
[1:07:22] Speaker 3: And i think he's shown a lot of resilience this.
[1:07:24] Speaker 7: Year than he did year before he's gotten over a
[1:07:27] Speaker 7: lot of the things that would have triggered a lot
[1:07:30] Speaker 7: of different players based on whether it's being fouled, whether
[1:07:34] Speaker 7: it's overcoming the blood clot and the menace restrictions and
[1:07:37] Speaker 7: trying to figure out if you're going to play enough games.
[1:07:40] Speaker 3: To qualify for awards and all of.
[1:07:42] Speaker 7: These things that's been happening over the course of the year.
[1:07:45] Speaker 7: I think the training between, you know, the, the monks, KG, Hakeem,
[1:07:52] Speaker 7: having Tim Duncan and David Robinson in your backyard. I mean,
[1:07:56] Speaker 7: he has all the advantages. And like he said before, uh,
[1:07:59] Speaker 7: he feels safe. You know, he feels like he's in
[1:08:02] Speaker 7: a very safe place where if he did fall that
[1:08:05] Speaker 7: he can lean on certain legends to, uh, help him
[1:08:09] Speaker 7: find his footing. And I think that's very important. And
[1:08:12] Speaker 7: especially when you're a monk and you, you have to
[1:08:15] Speaker 7: overcome people trying to step on your toes and, and
[1:08:18] Speaker 7: push in the back and you got to throw a
[1:08:20] Speaker 7: couple elbows, you know what I'm saying? When shit get rough,
[1:08:24] Speaker 7: just to let people know you ain't on that type
[1:08:26] Speaker 7: of time, you know, um, I think Wendy's just one
[1:08:29] Speaker 7: of those guys. He's a one of a kind. He's
[1:08:32] Speaker 7: not half a player. He's half man, half amazing, full
[1:08:36] Speaker 7: alien star seed child. He's one of them. And I
[1:08:41] Speaker 7: commend him for going outside of the the. The stratosphere
[1:08:46] Speaker 7: of what people would say is unconventional. I think it's
[1:08:49] Speaker 7: very common for someone like him to go find a
[1:08:53] Speaker 7: master monk. I'm just surprised he didn't come to me first. because,
[1:08:56] Speaker 7: you know, we got a lot of shit in common. But,
[1:08:59] Speaker 7: you know, Parme and the other guys are different. We
[1:09:01] Speaker 7: come from different hoods. So, you know, hopefully we'll run
[1:09:04] Speaker 7: into each other one day.
[1:09:06] Speaker 2: I got a lot in common.
[1:09:07] Speaker 1: And no word if Wimby visited Ling Ling during his
[1:09:09] Speaker 1: time in China.
[1:09:10] Speaker 7: Oh, he definitely went to get some mooshu and some
[1:09:12] Speaker 7: Ling Ling for.
[1:09:13] Speaker 3: Sure, for sure, sure. For sure, sure. For sure.
[1:09:17] Speaker 1: But Mr. B, when you hear all the stuff that
[1:09:19] Speaker 1: Wimby was doing to prepare himself for this season and
[1:09:22] Speaker 1: unanimous defensive player of the year, first time in Bay history,
[1:09:24] Speaker 1: third in MVP voting, will likely have those accolades as
[1:09:29] Speaker 1: well without this type of training, but just how dedicated
[1:09:31] Speaker 1: and devoted he is to the game and proving himself
[1:09:33] Speaker 1: in his mind, body, and soul.
[1:09:34] Speaker 3: What's your reaction?
[1:09:36] Speaker 2: I mean, I love it. I mean, especially how young
[1:09:38] Speaker 2: he is.
[1:09:39] Speaker 6: You know, he's on a different journey and a different
[1:09:41] Speaker 6: path outside of basketball. It's definitely going to help him
[1:09:44] Speaker 6: in the long run just in life. You know, he's
[1:09:50] Speaker 6: definitely going to be someone who's going to take over
[1:09:52] Speaker 6: this league for years. You know, this year he didn't
[1:09:55] Speaker 6: get MVP, but next year, I mean, he's definitely going
[1:09:56] Speaker 6: to be in the one and two range. And then
[1:09:59] Speaker 6: from here on out, it's just going to be, you know,
[1:10:01] Speaker 6: just the size of God. You know, wants to let
[1:10:03] Speaker 6: him keep going or injury or whatever, knock on wood. But,
[1:10:06] Speaker 6: you know, the only thing that's going to stop Wimby
[1:10:07] Speaker 6: is just injury. So, but I love where his mindset is.
[1:10:11] Speaker 6: I love that he's doing something different. You know, with
[1:10:14] Speaker 6: social media and everything in this world, you know, everybody's
[1:10:17] Speaker 6: worried about, you know, keeping up and, you know, being
[1:10:20] Speaker 6: a part of the Joneses and all this other stuff.
[1:10:22] Speaker 6: You know, he's taking a different mission in life. And
[1:10:25] Speaker 6: I think it's going to, like I said, benefit him
[1:10:28] Speaker 6: in the long run. Um, bigger is what he's doing
[1:10:31] Speaker 6: is bigger than basketball. Um, basketball is just part of
[1:10:35] Speaker 6: it too. So, um, you got to look at that
[1:10:37] Speaker 6: part of his, of his life and, and, and where
[1:10:40] Speaker 6: he wants to be and the people that he wants
[1:10:42] Speaker 6: to have around him. Um, you know, playing for the Spurs,
[1:10:46] Speaker 6: playing for pop and all these greats that's been around
[1:10:49] Speaker 6: in that organization. I mean, adding that with the monks
[1:10:51] Speaker 6: and everything is just like, you know, this guy is
[1:10:53] Speaker 6: on his way, um, regardless. So yeah, I definitely commend
[1:10:57] Speaker 6: him and I salute him on that. Um, and more
[1:11:00] Speaker 6: people should think differently, you know?
[1:11:04] Speaker 2: So, yeah.
[1:11:06] Speaker 1: It's like Kareem training with Bruce Lee, but can't shift
[1:11:08] Speaker 1: on you. We hear the stuff that Wimby's doing, going
[1:11:11] Speaker 1: with Monk's five-hour hikes, dribbling the basketball, nighttime hikes in
[1:11:16] Speaker 1: total darkness, and all the other stuff he's.
[1:11:18] Speaker 3: Got going on.
[1:11:20] Speaker 8: Yeah, we spoke on him before when we first heard
[1:11:22] Speaker 8: about him, and more power to him. That's what he,
[1:11:25] Speaker 8: his agent, and them are on the same page. How
[1:11:29] Speaker 8: can we better the person and the player? And I
[1:11:35] Speaker 8: think them reaching out and doing different things of this
[1:11:37] Speaker 8: nature has been and will be beneficial to women moving forward.
[1:11:46] Speaker 8: Meditating and controlling your breathing and being in hostile environments
[1:11:51] Speaker 8: and remaining calm, I'm pretty sure, is part of the teaching.
[1:11:55] Speaker 3: And the NBA is that. It's chaos.
[1:11:59] Speaker 8: And being able to be calm in that type of
[1:12:01] Speaker 8: chaos is key. Yeah, to be at the time 21,
[1:12:06] Speaker 8: now 22 years old, and doing those unconventional way of training,
[1:12:16] Speaker 8: but conventional in the aspect of.
[1:12:22] Speaker 7: Its.
[1:12:23] Speaker 8: It's battle, right? We are in battle here. And if
[1:12:27] Speaker 8: he's doing that, they understand it best, right? How to
[1:12:30] Speaker 8: calm your mind. So, yeah, more power to him. Pretty
[1:12:37] Speaker 8: sure it's not a one-shot deal. Pretty sure he'll continue
[1:12:40] Speaker 8: to do something of the sort. Expanding on that. If
[1:12:44] Speaker 8: it's been helpful, I don't see why not. Yeah, no,
[1:12:48] Speaker 8: for a young kid, man, to open his mind up
[1:12:52] Speaker 8: and to, for someone, I don't know if, like they say,
[1:12:57] Speaker 8: this agent reached out. I don't know if it was
[1:12:59] Speaker 8: him that asked his agent or if his agent presented
[1:13:01] Speaker 8: it to him or someone else presented it to him.
[1:13:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, so I think agent reached out and took a
[1:13:05] Speaker 1: trip out there, went and met with the dude.
[1:13:07] Speaker 8: To be receptive to it, like I said, whoever initiated it,
[1:13:10] Speaker 8: if it was him or someone else, but to be
[1:13:12] Speaker 8: receptive to it at that age speaks volumes to his maturity.
[1:13:18] Speaker 3: Yeah, he is.
[1:13:22] Speaker 8: Rising superstar in this league and to learn how to
[1:13:27] Speaker 8: handle it, more power to him.
[1:13:30] Speaker 3: Megastar?
[1:13:32] Speaker 2: Phenom. Megastar.
[1:13:33] Speaker 3: He's a rising star. Yeah, you know, he's stratosphere.
[1:13:37] Speaker 6: I mean, he has a chance to, I mean, I
[1:13:40] Speaker 6: don't want to say he has a chance to just.
[1:13:42] Speaker 8: You know, some of the shit he does on the
[1:13:44] Speaker 8: basketball floor, we've never seen anything. The missing your own
[1:13:48] Speaker 8: shot and dunking it the way he is. It's shit
[1:13:50] Speaker 8: like that I'm watching. And I can do nothing but laugh.
[1:13:53] Speaker 7: I'll be jumping the fuck up. I ain't going to lie.
[1:13:56] Speaker 7: I'll be jumping up like a motherfucker. It's hilarious to me.
[1:13:59] Speaker 7: But no, man, he is a different breed. We haven't
[1:14:02] Speaker 7: seen anything like this. And the league will be his
[1:14:08] Speaker 7: playground for as long as it's allotted.
[1:14:11] Speaker 1: All right, well, let's keep this thing moving. into non-positive things.
[1:14:17] Speaker 1: So Jalen Brown, Stephen A. Smith have a well-documented ongoing beef.
[1:14:23] Speaker 3: Stephen A.
[1:14:23] Speaker 1: Has questioned Brown's marketability in the past, relying on information
[1:14:27] Speaker 1: from unnamed sources, to which Jalen Brown responded, state your sources.
[1:14:32] Speaker 3: Stephen A.
[1:14:32] Speaker 1: Also took issue with Brown doing a Twitch stream after
[1:14:35] Speaker 1: the Celtics were eliminated in Game 7 against the Sixers,
[1:14:38] Speaker 1: specifically with Brown calling this the favorite season of his career.
[1:14:42] Speaker 1: Brown has also addressed Stephen A. directly and indirectly. So,
[1:14:45] Speaker 1: Brown was on another Twitch stream recently, offered these thoughts
[1:14:48] Speaker 1: on Stephen A.
[1:14:49] Speaker 9: And I'll tell Stephen A and whoever else, when they
[1:14:52] Speaker 9: see me in person, I will let you know that
[1:14:54] Speaker 9: it's fuck Stephen A, Stephen B, Stephen C, directly to
[1:14:59] Speaker 9: your face.
[1:14:59] Speaker 2: So, you don't even know. Like, it only got to
[1:15:02] Speaker 2: be no, you know what I mean?
[1:15:03] Speaker 3: It is what it is.
[1:15:05] Speaker 9: You know what I mean? That last statement took the cake. Like,
[1:15:11] Speaker 9: you talking about JT coming on my stream. What did
[1:15:14] Speaker 9: that have to do with anything?
[1:15:18] Speaker 1: Jalen Brown. F Stephen A, Stephen B. Stephen B. Smith
[1:15:21] Speaker 1: had nothing to do with this, but the casualty.
[1:15:23] Speaker 7: He had everything to do with it.
[1:15:26] Speaker 2: D.C.
[1:15:26] Speaker 3: Smith somewhere minding his business. All your clones can get it.
[1:15:30] Speaker 3: You and all your clones.
[1:15:32] Speaker 1: So, naturally, Stephen A saw the comments offered this response
[1:15:35] Speaker 1: on First Take Monday.
[1:15:37] Speaker 10: But in the end, Jalen Brown, be careful what you
[1:15:40] Speaker 10: wish for. You really want me to start reporting on
[1:15:43] Speaker 10: that level? You understand locker room, how the organization might
[1:15:49] Speaker 10: think about you, how the city may feel about you,
[1:15:52] Speaker 10: how Jason Tatum may or may not have feel about you.
[1:15:56] Speaker 2: Sneaker deals, endorsement deals. The list goes on and on.
[1:16:00] Speaker 2: The season is over, bro.
[1:16:02] Speaker 10: You on Twitch trying to do what I do and
[1:16:07] Speaker 10: talking about me needing to step away. It makes no sense.
[1:16:11] Speaker 10: I'm not being disrespectful. I'm simply making the point that
[1:16:16] Speaker 10: it is not wise after 24 hours of having your
[1:16:19] Speaker 10: season over in the first round for you to be
[1:16:22] Speaker 10: coming out talking about that's your favorite season. It ain't
[1:16:25] Speaker 10: the smartest thing in the world to do. I wasn't
[1:16:29] Speaker 10: trying to be disrespectful. I was trying to sit up
[1:16:32] Speaker 10: there and look out by letting you know this is
[1:16:35] Speaker 10: not a good look.
[1:16:36] Speaker 2: It's not wise. That's all.
[1:16:38] Speaker 10: And I would have respected Jalen Brown more, big perk, J.
[1:16:42] Speaker 10: Had he come at y'all, had he come at everybody
[1:16:45] Speaker 10: who said exactly what I was saying. But evidently, you understand,
[1:16:50] Speaker 10: when you're talking about clickbait and all of that stuff,
[1:16:53] Speaker 10: somebody told you one of the best ways to get
[1:16:56] Speaker 10: it is to bring up my name. And that's what
[1:17:00] Speaker 10: you did. So who's really looking for clickbait? Is it
[1:17:03] Speaker 10: me or is it you?
[1:17:10] Speaker 3: I'd love to go first.
[1:17:14] Speaker 7: This is a classic example of throwing rocks and hiding
[1:17:17] Speaker 7: your hands. I think people in the media have done
[1:17:20] Speaker 7: for years is to think that players can't come back
[1:17:23] Speaker 7: at them based on what they start. And I think
[1:17:26] Speaker 7: Stephen A. Smith has been doing this for years, which
[1:17:29] Speaker 7: is voicing his opinion, just like anybody else in the media.
[1:17:33] Speaker 7: Let me voice my opinion. Let me say this about
[1:17:34] Speaker 7: this player, because what is he going to say back?
[1:17:37] Speaker 2: All right.
[1:17:39] Speaker 7: So it started in the Olympics when he did the
[1:17:42] Speaker 7: thing about the marketability. Jalen Brown didn't have a platform
[1:17:45] Speaker 7: to just go out there and be like, yo, that's wrong.
[1:17:47] Speaker 3: That's none of that's none of your business.
[1:17:49] Speaker 7: And I don't know where your sources are since you
[1:17:52] Speaker 7: can't name them.
[1:17:53] Speaker 3: But leave my name out your mouth. Right. That didn't happen.
[1:17:56] Speaker 7: But they did have a sit down where it was
[1:17:58] Speaker 7: an apology and all this.
[1:17:59] Speaker 3: Clearing up type shit. Right.
[1:18:02] Speaker 7: So Stephen A has an opinion on what happened at
[1:18:06] Speaker 7: the end of the Celtics season and Jalen Brown going
[1:18:09] Speaker 7: out there and feeling the way he felt and voicing
[1:18:13] Speaker 7: his opinion on his circumstance on his own stream. You
[1:18:18] Speaker 7: made your opinion, but now we're in a landscape where
[1:18:21] Speaker 7: Jalen Brown can now voice his opinion. We supposed to
[1:18:25] Speaker 7: all respect your opinion based on what you say about
[1:18:28] Speaker 7: other players.
[1:18:30] Speaker 2: And it's supposed to be, that's it. I said what
[1:18:33] Speaker 2: I said.
[1:18:35] Speaker 7: Now Jalen Brown says something back.
[1:18:37] Speaker 2: Now it's, he's attacking you.
[1:18:41] Speaker 7: How?
[1:18:41] Speaker 2: You threw the rock first.
[1:18:45] Speaker 7: I never understood how somebody can tell Someone else what's
[1:18:49] Speaker 7: disrespectful to them. How can you tell me what's disrespectful
[1:18:54] Speaker 7: to me? I didn't disrespect. Yes, you did. I just
[1:18:57] Speaker 7: told you you did. You disrespected me. You can say
[1:19:00] Speaker 7: I didn't mean to disrespect you. You can say that
[1:19:03] Speaker 7: wasn't my intention to disrespect you, but you can't tell
[1:19:06] Speaker 7: me that I wasn't disrespected. You disrespected me, bro. So
[1:19:10] Speaker 7: the fact that Stephen A gets back on the show
[1:19:13] Speaker 7: to corroborate all the fucking rocks that he threw, I
[1:19:16] Speaker 7: just see too many people doing this type of shit. Like,
[1:19:20] Speaker 7: there are people throwing rocks at me, but then when
[1:19:22] Speaker 7: I throw the rock back, it's like, I didn't expect
[1:19:25] Speaker 7: you to throw a fucking mountain. Now that the mountain's
[1:19:29] Speaker 7: on top of your fucking head, you're like, hey man,
[1:19:32] Speaker 7: don't make me do some real journalism and really go
[1:19:36] Speaker 7: after your character and really, why does it have to
[1:19:39] Speaker 7: go that deep?
[1:19:40] Speaker 2: Just shut the fuck up. He said what he said.
[1:19:44] Speaker 2: You said what you said.
[1:19:45] Speaker 3: Leave it at that.
[1:19:46] Speaker 7: We have platforms now that we can say what we
[1:19:48] Speaker 7: want to say now. You don't control the narrative no more, bro.
[1:19:55] Speaker 7: You can't control the narrative no more. The athlete can
[1:19:58] Speaker 7: say what they want to say now. That's been the
[1:20:01] Speaker 7: freedom that we've all been talking about with the athletes
[1:20:04] Speaker 7: having the podcast after the games.
[1:20:06] Speaker 3: Mello said it.
[1:20:07] Speaker 7: Hey, I'm glad that we can do this because now
[1:20:10] Speaker 7: we can take the reporter's pen away from them and
[1:20:13] Speaker 7: we can control our own voice. And this is what
[1:20:17] Speaker 7: Jalen Brown did. Fuck Stephen A, B and C. What
[1:20:21] Speaker 7: you talking about? JT didn't want to come on the stream.
[1:20:26] Speaker 7: Now you start another narrative. Oh, now Big Perk come in.
[1:20:32] Speaker 7: He say, man, I got people don't like you here.
[1:20:34] Speaker 2: People don't like, like, come on, man.
[1:20:37] Speaker 7: As players, bro, it's one thing to stick together, but
[1:20:41] Speaker 7: it's one thing to pin everybody against one guy that
[1:20:44] Speaker 7: we know has just took this team from non-existent to
[1:20:49] Speaker 7: number two in the East, and we're going to motherfucking
[1:20:51] Speaker 7: pile on him like he did something wrong by saying,
[1:20:54] Speaker 7: I had my best season ever.
[1:20:57] Speaker 3: What's wrong with telling the truth?
[1:20:59] Speaker 7: Man.
[1:21:00] Speaker 2: Is that my favorite year? Or my favorite year, my bad. Well,
[1:21:03] Speaker 2: I still think it's his best season ever.
[1:21:07] Speaker 7: So if it's my favorite year based on.
[1:21:11] Speaker 2: It.
[1:21:11] Speaker 6: Would have been better if he said, this is my
[1:21:14] Speaker 6: best season. So then we're thinking numbers. Now you say
[1:21:18] Speaker 6: this is my favorite year.
[1:21:20] Speaker 7: That kid, you know, that kid, you know, because we
[1:21:23] Speaker 7: won a championship.
[1:21:24] Speaker 1: And you won a finals MVP with the counterpoint.
[1:21:25] Speaker 7: So it's like, it's just more of you would have
[1:21:28] Speaker 7: been like, yeah, man, this is my, you know, yeah, man,
[1:21:30] Speaker 7: this is my best year. Yeah, as a player, yeah,
[1:21:31] Speaker 7: I feel like this is my best year. But no, man,
[1:21:33] Speaker 7: this is my favorite year. And we just won a ring.
[1:21:37] Speaker 3: But based on the comment, right? It's me. I can
[1:21:39] Speaker 3: say what the fuck I want.
[1:21:40] Speaker 2: No, you can't. No, you can't. Hold on.
[1:21:43] Speaker 3: Yes.
[1:21:43] Speaker 2: Yes. Yes.
[1:21:45] Speaker 3: I'm glad you said that.
[1:21:46] Speaker 2: Yes. And now you leave room for other people's interpretation.
[1:21:51] Speaker 2: And now I can make a counter to that interpretation.
[1:21:54] Speaker 7: You can.
[1:21:54] Speaker 3: I have a platform to make the count.
[1:21:56] Speaker 7: Let's just say I made that in an interview.
[1:21:59] Speaker 3: But now the interpretation is out there already. Yeah.
[1:22:02] Speaker 2: And that's cool.
[1:22:02] Speaker 7: Because everyone's going to have their opinion anyway.
[1:22:05] Speaker 2: But it's not cool. It is.
[1:22:06] Speaker 8: It's not cool because you had something to say after
[1:22:09] Speaker 8: somebody had to.
[1:22:09] Speaker 2: But he said it first.
[1:22:11] Speaker 3: No, you said what you said, right?
[1:22:13] Speaker 7: Yes, on my stream. This is my favorite. This is
[1:22:16] Speaker 7: my favorite season. He said on his platform after a loss.
[1:22:20] Speaker 3: This is my favorite season, right?
[1:22:22] Speaker 2: Did he explain why?
[1:22:24] Speaker 3: I don't think he did.
[1:22:25] Speaker 8: I haven't heard a reason why. This is my favorite season. Now,
[1:22:31] Speaker 8: like I said, now you leave the room for interpretation, right?
[1:22:35] Speaker 8: So now the interpretation happens.
[1:22:39] Speaker 3: Which is the opinion. Of other people, right? Right. Not
[1:22:42] Speaker 3: just one person, of other people. Yep.
[1:22:48] Speaker 8: Now you have to go back and, now there's another
[1:22:52] Speaker 8: thing now.
[1:22:53] Speaker 3: Because that opinion is personal.
[1:22:55] Speaker 2: No, it's other people. No, it's not personal.
[1:22:57] Speaker 3: Stephen A is just personal.
[1:22:58] Speaker 7: But I'm just saying, so when you just said it
[1:23:01] Speaker 7: just now, I thought the same thing, right?
[1:23:04] Speaker 8: When you said best and favorite, and he said favorite,
[1:23:09] Speaker 8: I thought the exact same thing.
[1:23:11] Speaker 3: What'd you think?
[1:23:13] Speaker 2: Damn.
[1:23:14] Speaker 3: Damn.
[1:23:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, like, damn. Like, damn, we just got one.
[1:23:18] Speaker 7: We got a championship over here.
[1:23:21] Speaker 2: We done been through a lot of shit. So now
[1:23:22] Speaker 2: it leaves me.
[1:23:23] Speaker 8: Like, for my thought process and the way other people thinking, like,
[1:23:27] Speaker 8: because you was the man.
[1:23:30] Speaker 2: Right?
[1:23:30] Speaker 7: So that's What other interpretation.
[1:23:33] Speaker 2: Do you need?
[1:23:34] Speaker 7: But if I'm talking about my own individual season, this
[1:23:38] Speaker 7: was my favorite season because we went from here.
[1:23:41] Speaker 2: All the way here. And I led us.
[1:23:44] Speaker 7: And we almost got to where we needed to go.
[1:23:47] Speaker 7: This was my favorite season.
[1:23:49] Speaker 2: All of that. My favorite year. My favorite year.
[1:23:55] Speaker 3: The guy's favorite season. I don't think it had nothing
[1:23:58] Speaker 3: to do with him being out.
[1:23:59] Speaker 2: It could not have been. That's the point. But you're
[1:24:02] Speaker 2: leaving room for me to sit. That's the boy, motherfucker.
[1:24:06] Speaker 3: That's the interpretation, right? So we don't correct it. That's
[1:24:09] Speaker 3: the interpretation. That's so it's all under my favorite. Yes.
[1:24:16] Speaker 7: Listen, did nobody expect us to be nothing? I led
[1:24:19] Speaker 7: us the second seed. I did all these things individual.
[1:24:24] Speaker 7: All those things, yes.
[1:24:25] Speaker 2: I think he said that.
[1:24:26] Speaker 3: And favorite is, and Jason Tatum was out. For some people.
[1:24:30] Speaker 2: I ain't saying all, but for some people putting it
[1:24:32] Speaker 2: in the same interpretation.
[1:24:34] Speaker 7: For the people who want to push that narrative.
[1:24:36] Speaker 2: No, that's the narrative that you're giving me.
[1:24:38] Speaker 7: If you're not going to give me a direct... No,
[1:24:41] Speaker 7: it's not.
[1:24:42] Speaker 2: Just like a direct answer.
[1:24:43] Speaker 7: If I say, like what Skip say, hey, is the
[1:24:46] Speaker 7: Spurs going to sweep You know, okay.
[1:24:49] Speaker 2: See, I don't know. We'll see.
[1:24:50] Speaker 3: We'll see.
[1:24:51] Speaker 2: You're giving me.
[1:24:54] Speaker 7: A reason to be able to say, oh, well, this
[1:24:55] Speaker 7: guy's not really that confident in his team. If you
[1:24:57] Speaker 7: would have said, yes, they are, damn, he's confident. But
[1:24:59] Speaker 7: you're giving me a reason to be able to be like, okay,
[1:25:02] Speaker 7: question it. You know what I'm saying? If you say
[1:25:05] Speaker 7: it the right way, then it's not a... There ain't
[1:25:08] Speaker 7: no right way when I say anything. There ain't no
[1:25:10] Speaker 7: right or wrong way for somebody to tell me I'm
[1:25:13] Speaker 7: saying something right or wrong.
[1:25:15] Speaker 2: Based on what you want to hear. If you want
[1:25:17] Speaker 2: to hear some shit.
[1:25:18] Speaker 7: the way you want to hear it, motherfucker.
[1:25:19] Speaker 3: You say it.
[1:25:20] Speaker 7: Ain't no right way to say nothing when I say
[1:25:22] Speaker 7: what I want to say. There is the correct way
[1:25:24] Speaker 7: to say things. No, it's not. There is the correct
[1:25:28] Speaker 7: way to say things in life. Because when you don't,
[1:25:30] Speaker 7: you see what happens. Yeah, I agree. But what happens?
[1:25:35] Speaker 7: I come back at you. Ain't nothing happening. Hold on
[1:25:39] Speaker 7: one second. So the point that you, like, somebody want
[1:25:41] Speaker 7: to push a narrative, right? The Stephen A, the narrative
[1:25:44] Speaker 7: that he was So, like I said, to leave room
[1:25:46] Speaker 7: for interpretation that you included Jason Tatum in that, right?
[1:25:51] Speaker 7: I agree with Jalen Brown in this sense, right? You,
[1:25:57] Speaker 7: like Stephen A, Jason Tatum hasn't been on your stream, right?
[1:26:01] Speaker 7: For whatever reason, he hasn't. He's been rehabbing, whatever the reason, whatever.
[1:26:05] Speaker 3: It is, right? I haven't asked him.
[1:26:07] Speaker 2: That too, right?
[1:26:09] Speaker 3: Or he's been busy.
[1:26:10] Speaker 8: Or I'm trying to build this. And then bring him on.
[1:26:14] Speaker 8: Whatever the reason is, is the reason. Stephen A shouldn't
[1:26:18] Speaker 8: go on there and be like, hey, Jason Tatum ain't
[1:26:19] Speaker 8: been on your stream yet. So in that regard, he
[1:26:23] Speaker 8: is trying to push the narrative that you included Jason
[1:26:26] Speaker 8: Tatum in. That's why this is your favorite.
[1:26:28] Speaker 2: But you also said, fuck me. True, but why did I?
[1:26:31] Speaker 7: So what time do you think it is?
[1:26:32] Speaker 3: Why?
[1:26:33] Speaker 2: I'm just saying, if you say, fuck me, what time
[1:26:34] Speaker 2: is it?
[1:26:35] Speaker 7: This is your second time doing this, Brandon. This is
[1:26:38] Speaker 7: your second time.
[1:26:39] Speaker 2: This is your second time.
[1:26:41] Speaker 7: First time we sat down and we talked.
[1:26:43] Speaker 2: OK, the beef started because of what? You saying I'm
[1:26:46] Speaker 2: not marketable? He didn't say that. He didn't say that.
[1:26:50] Speaker 3: He didn't say those weren't his words. There was Stephen A.
[1:26:52] Speaker 2: Those weren't Stephen A's words.
[1:26:54] Speaker 3: Unnamed source said that he was.
[1:26:55] Speaker 2: Unnamed source said he was. Those weren't his words.
[1:26:58] Speaker 7: So you passed along a message.
[1:27:00] Speaker 3: He heard it.
[1:27:01] Speaker 7: And then wouldn't tell me. And then wouldn't tell me
[1:27:04] Speaker 7: who said it. He's not obligated to.
[1:27:05] Speaker 2: Of course not.
[1:27:06] Speaker 3: Right.
[1:27:06] Speaker 7: But you're not obligated to tell the world either.
[1:27:08] Speaker 3: Why not? Why not?
[1:27:09] Speaker 2: This is my job. This is my job. I'm the reporter.
[1:27:11] Speaker 2: Just you mean. This is my job.
[1:27:13] Speaker 7: If somebody tells you a lie, your job is to
[1:27:15] Speaker 7: go tell that lie.
[1:27:16] Speaker 3: No.
[1:27:17] Speaker 2: Who said it's a lie? Who the fuck can corroborate it?
[1:27:19] Speaker 2: Because he wasn't on USA Basketball, so they had a reason.
[1:27:22] Speaker 2: That's a fucking insinuation then. No, it's a fact.
[1:27:25] Speaker 3: No, it's not.
[1:27:26] Speaker 2: It's not a fact that you.
[1:27:27] Speaker 7: Wasn't on the USA team because you're not marketable.
[1:27:30] Speaker 3: Yes, it is.
[1:27:30] Speaker 2: That is a fact. You can't prove it.
[1:27:32] Speaker 7: He had to start his own brand.
[1:27:33] Speaker 2: You can't prove it. He got to start his own brand. No,
[1:27:34] Speaker 2: he didn't have to. He wanted to. He started his
[1:27:36] Speaker 2: own brand.
[1:27:36] Speaker 7: He said he was inspired by Kobe Bryant. Bro, get
[1:27:38] Speaker 7: the facts right. Bro, he was going to sign with
[1:27:40] Speaker 7: Nike if he didn't get into it with Nike. Why
[1:27:41] Speaker 7: was he wearing Nike with the since? Bro, because of
[1:27:44] Speaker 7: the Kyrie shit. Because of the Kyrie shit. I don't
[1:27:46] Speaker 7: want to be with Nike.
[1:27:47] Speaker 2: Okay.
[1:27:47] Speaker 3: Obviously.
[1:27:48] Speaker 2: It had nothing to do with that. My brothers is
[1:27:50] Speaker 2: making up shit along the way.
[1:27:52] Speaker 7: No, it's not.
[1:27:53] Speaker 2: No, we're not.
[1:27:54] Speaker 7: You can't say it's a fact when you can't prove it.
[1:27:56] Speaker 2: Bro, you cannot dis my pants safe.
[1:28:00] Speaker 7: The reasons he didn't make the team were this when
[1:28:02] Speaker 7: you can't prove it.
[1:28:03] Speaker 2: Yes, he didn't make it. We can't prove it. You
[1:28:05] Speaker 2: can't say it was because of this. You stopped wearing
[1:28:07] Speaker 2: the Nike. You can't say it.
[1:28:08] Speaker 7: You stopped wearing the Nike because of the Kyrie thing, right?
[1:28:10] Speaker 7: I ain't going to say it's 100%, but I'm going
[1:28:12] Speaker 7: to say it. Nobody can say that this is a fact.
[1:28:14] Speaker 7: You can only say that we heard.
[1:28:17] Speaker 2: There ain't no facts.
[1:28:19] Speaker 7: Nigga, the way you're moving is giving us the reason.
[1:28:22] Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
[1:28:23] Speaker 7: The way I'm moving because I'm smart. That's the way
[1:28:24] Speaker 7: you talk. No.
[1:28:25] Speaker 2: That has nothing to do.
[1:28:26] Speaker 3: What is it?
[1:28:26] Speaker 2: Bro, you can be a smartass. You can be a smartass.
[1:28:28] Speaker 2: But you're making an opinion right now. No, I'm not
[1:28:30] Speaker 2: making an opinion. I'm going by what I see.
[1:28:32] Speaker 3: What you see?
[1:28:33] Speaker 2: I'm observing. What are you saying? I'm observing the situation.
[1:28:35] Speaker 2: What are you saying? I'm observing what he does. What
[1:28:37] Speaker 2: are you observing? How he talks. I just said. Jalen Brown.
[1:28:40] Speaker 2: He turns you off.
[1:28:41] Speaker 3: Bro, no.
[1:28:42] Speaker 2: Does he turn you off? No, he doesn't.
[1:28:43] Speaker 7: Okay, so how are you taking what you hear and
[1:28:46] Speaker 7: then you're saying this is what it is?
[1:28:48] Speaker 3: Because that's the fact.
[1:28:49] Speaker 2: It ain't the facts. Because that's the facts.
[1:28:51] Speaker 7: If I'm observing you, if I say, listen, if I'm
[1:28:54] Speaker 7: observing Jason Tatum and I'm observing Jalen Brown, Jalen Brown
[1:28:58] Speaker 7: gives me more Kanye West.
[1:28:59] Speaker 2: That's you. This guy gives me more. What did you
[1:29:01] Speaker 2: just say? Jalen Brown gives me. You.
[1:29:04] Speaker 7: So he just said that he deserves. You can't speak.
[1:29:07] Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying. So it's his observation.
[1:29:09] Speaker 3: This statement.
[1:29:10] Speaker 7: This has nothing to do with the fucking people in
[1:29:12] Speaker 7: the world.
[1:29:13] Speaker 2: The world think the same thing.
[1:29:15] Speaker 7: We can ask the chat right now.
[1:29:16] Speaker 2: Ask the chat. Ask the chat right now.
[1:29:18] Speaker 7: Does Jason Tatum give you Jay-Z or does Jalen Brown
[1:29:22] Speaker 7: give you Kanye? Let's go back to the statement. When
[1:29:26] Speaker 7: a motherfucker say, you think you all that.
[1:29:30] Speaker 2: You think you all that. Look at him.
[1:29:32] Speaker 7: He think he all that. And I say, no, motherfucker.
[1:29:35] Speaker 7: You think I'm all that. You watching me. I don't
[1:29:39] Speaker 7: get to watch me. You watching me. So whenever someone says, hey,
[1:29:45] Speaker 7: I think you was doing this and that.
[1:29:47] Speaker 2: No, nigga, you think that.
[1:29:49] Speaker 7: People have said that, Jalen Brown.
[1:29:52] Speaker 2: What people? People in the industry. People in the industry.
[1:29:57] Speaker 2: It don't matter. It do matter.
[1:29:59] Speaker 7: Because we want to know who's saying what. Don't hide
[1:30:02] Speaker 7: behind your Okay, now that clap back, okay now, okay
[1:30:08] Speaker 7: Stephen a okay B and C.
[1:30:10] Speaker 2: Do you tell what I do this and do you think.
[1:30:12] Speaker 3: That helps you?
[1:30:13] Speaker 2: Yes, it helps me. Yes, it helps me. You think so?
[1:30:16] Speaker 3: Yes, it helps.
[1:30:16] Speaker 2: That's not I got boys.
[1:30:18] Speaker 7: No, it's not about me No, it does not and
[1:30:21] Speaker 7: that's the phone.
[1:30:22] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:30:22] Speaker 7: Okay, so if you think you're bigger, all right All right,
[1:30:25] Speaker 7: Brandon fucking flow if it don't help that means this
[1:30:27] Speaker 7: Stephen A can provoke me anytime he want to and
[1:30:30] Speaker 7: I can't say shit about it. No, you calling me
[1:30:32] Speaker 7: out of my name talking about fuck me.
[1:30:34] Speaker 2: Why did I say it? Why? Why did I say it?
[1:30:38] Speaker 2: Why are you provoked?
[1:30:39] Speaker 7: You disrespected my name. Why did you respond to Tim Thomas?
[1:30:45] Speaker 2: I'm asking a question. You were provoked.
[1:30:49] Speaker 7: Why did I respond to Tony and them?
[1:30:53] Speaker 2: I was provoked. We were provoked. When a nigga provoke you.
[1:30:56] Speaker 3: What you got to do?
[1:30:57] Speaker 2: You respond.
[1:30:59] Speaker 7: You don't have to. But when you do respond, now
[1:31:03] Speaker 7: you're playing my game. So now let's play the game.
[1:31:06] Speaker 7: Guess what you said three years ago. Guess what you
[1:31:09] Speaker 7: said three years ago, Brandon. Play stupid games. Win stupid
[1:31:13] Speaker 7: fucking prizes. Do you want to win a stupid prize
[1:31:16] Speaker 7: or not?
[1:31:17] Speaker 2: You want to play the fucking stupid game?
[1:31:19] Speaker 7: Let's play the fucking stupid game.
[1:31:21] Speaker 2: Let's play.
[1:31:23] Speaker 7: Why are you arguing with somebody who's a journalist? You
[1:31:26] Speaker 7: want to play? My season's over. I got time to play.
[1:31:29] Speaker 2: What's up? And where's it going to get you? It's
[1:31:32] Speaker 2: going to get me $ 300 million. I got it. Solidified.
[1:31:34] Speaker 2: You already had that. You already had that.
[1:31:36] Speaker 3: Now what?
[1:31:36] Speaker 2: We're talking about marketing. We're not worried about nothing else.
[1:31:38] Speaker 2: You're proving his point is what I'm saying.
[1:31:40] Speaker 3: No, we not.
[1:31:40] Speaker 7: Yes.
[1:31:40] Speaker 3: No, we not.
[1:31:41] Speaker 2: You're proving his point.
[1:31:41] Speaker 3: Ain't no point. That's all it is.
[1:31:42] Speaker 2: No, that's psychology. I don't have a problem with that.
[1:31:44] Speaker 7: Psychology is you prove the point when you're provoking me
[1:31:48] Speaker 7: to be seen perceptionally by the people who don't know me.
[1:31:52] Speaker 7: You're trying to tell them this is how he is.
[1:31:54] Speaker 2: Watch this.
[1:31:55] Speaker 7: I'm going to push his buttons and show you this
[1:31:57] Speaker 7: is how he is.
[1:31:58] Speaker 2: And it's like, yo, why would you do that?
[1:32:01] Speaker 3: Why would you respond?
[1:32:01] Speaker 2: Why would you do that?
[1:32:03] Speaker 3: Why would you respond?
[1:32:03] Speaker 2: Why are you not doing that to Joker? Why would
[1:32:05] Speaker 2: you respond? Why are you not doing that to Luka?
[1:32:07] Speaker 2: He was better off doing it. Why are you not
[1:32:08] Speaker 2: doing that to AR? He was better off doing it
[1:32:10] Speaker 2: with Burn. Why are you doing this to me? Kevin
[1:32:11] Speaker 2: Moore Gangsta. Why are you doing this to me? Why
[1:32:14] Speaker 2: are you doing this to me?
[1:32:14] Speaker 3: So you're making it about race.
[1:32:15] Speaker 2: Why are you doing this to me? Instead of going
[1:32:17] Speaker 2: on and talking about X. You ain't doing it.
[1:32:18] Speaker 7: I'm going to just sit here in person and have
[1:32:19] Speaker 7: some conversation. I'm making it about players. No, you just
[1:32:21] Speaker 7: named four white guys. I didn't know they was white.
[1:32:24] Speaker 7: I thought they was just players. I thought they was players.
[1:32:26] Speaker 7: I thought they was players.
[1:32:29] Speaker 2: I didn't say they was white.
[1:32:30] Speaker 3: I named them by name.
[1:32:31] Speaker 7: So you think that was more gangster what Jalen Brown did?
[1:32:34] Speaker 7: I don't care about what's gangster. I don't think gangster
[1:32:37] Speaker 7: is cool. Do you think what Jalen Brown did was
[1:32:40] Speaker 7: way smarter than what LeBron did?
[1:32:41] Speaker 3: I think he defended his self.
[1:32:42] Speaker 2: Okay.
[1:32:43] Speaker 7: LeBron very strategic though. LeBron had a conversation with that
[1:32:48] Speaker 7: man to his face and told him this is what
[1:32:49] Speaker 7: it is. LeBron went on Pat McAfee. He went on
[1:32:53] Speaker 7: Pat McAfee. Jalen Brown sat down with Stephen A.
[1:32:56] Speaker 3: Smith.
[1:32:57] Speaker 2: In his face. Face to face.
[1:32:59] Speaker 7: And I came to you during the game and I
[1:33:01] Speaker 7: got to your face and I told you what it was.
[1:33:03] Speaker 2: So what's up now? Same thing.
[1:33:04] Speaker 7: So what is you looking at Jalen Brown for? So
[1:33:07] Speaker 7: was it not bad for LeBron?
[1:33:09] Speaker 2: Did it not work well for LeBron? Yes, it's still working.
[1:33:11] Speaker 7: So what the fuck are we talking about? If it
[1:33:13] Speaker 7: worked well for LeBron, how the fuck did it not
[1:33:16] Speaker 7: work well for JB? Because you're going on a platform
[1:33:19] Speaker 7: talking about F someone. So should I do it in
[1:33:21] Speaker 7: his face at a game during the timeout?
[1:33:23] Speaker 3: Yep, yep. You don't make no sense. That's better. You
[1:33:25] Speaker 3: don't make no sense.
[1:33:26] Speaker 2: I mean, because I don't know what you said. I
[1:33:27] Speaker 2: don't know what you said in that conversation.
[1:33:29] Speaker 7: We do know what he said because the nigga came
[1:33:30] Speaker 7: on TV and told everybody what he said.
[1:33:32] Speaker 2: He came on TV and told everybody what he said.
[1:33:34] Speaker 2: Did LeBron say what was said?
[1:33:35] Speaker 7: Look, he went on Pat McAfee and told everybody what
[1:33:38] Speaker 7: he said.
[1:33:39] Speaker 2: He did? Yes. Okay. Let's get the facts straight. Did
[1:33:42] Speaker 2: he say that? Let's get the facts straight. Did he
[1:33:44] Speaker 2: go on Pat McAfee and say, hey, this is what
[1:33:46] Speaker 2: I told Stephen A.
[1:33:47] Speaker 1: Smith.
[1:33:47] Speaker 2: I told him not to talk about my son.
[1:33:49] Speaker 3: Don't disrespect Bronny.
[1:33:50] Speaker 2: I'm sure it was more than that.
[1:33:51] Speaker 3: I'm sure it was more than that. Jalen Brown, protect
[1:33:55] Speaker 3: yourself at all costs.
[1:33:56] Speaker 2: No, for sure. Nobody's complaining about that.
[1:33:57] Speaker 7: It's neck day, man. But it's how you do it, though.
[1:34:01] Speaker 7: It ain't how you do it. It's how they do it.
[1:34:02] Speaker 7: You just proved this point. You play stupid games, you
[1:34:04] Speaker 7: win stupid prizes. And that's a stupid prize. You're not
[1:34:07] Speaker 7: just about to say anything to me on air because
[1:34:09] Speaker 7: you don't think I'm going to say something back.
[1:34:11] Speaker 2: That's a stupid prize you're.
[1:34:11] Speaker 3: Trying to win, man. I already won.
[1:34:15] Speaker 7: I already won a championship, a finals MVP, what is it,
[1:34:20] Speaker 7: Western Conference finals MVP, whatever you want to call that too.
[1:34:23] Speaker 3: Eastern Conference.
[1:34:24] Speaker 2: Eastern Conference.
[1:34:25] Speaker 3: Yes. Right.
[1:34:26] Speaker 2: Yes.
[1:34:26] Speaker 7: Right.
[1:34:27] Speaker 2: So shouldn't you be, so you're way higher than them.
[1:34:29] Speaker 2: Shouldn't I be what?
[1:34:29] Speaker 7: Shouldn't I have time to talk about niggas who are
[1:34:31] Speaker 7: trying to destroy my name?
[1:34:32] Speaker 2: I got time. You can't. I got time.
[1:34:34] Speaker 3: Destroy your name? Yes. What did he say to destroy
[1:34:37] Speaker 3: his name?
[1:34:38] Speaker 7: Bro, he's saying I'm not marketable. What are you talking
[1:34:41] Speaker 7: about right now? So you bringing up old shit.
[1:34:44] Speaker 2: No, he just said it. He just said it.
[1:34:47] Speaker 7: He just said it. That was from the old conversation. No,
[1:34:49] Speaker 7: he said it in the interview. He said it. But
[1:34:52] Speaker 7: he said it on Monday, K. That was the first conversation.
[1:34:54] Speaker 7: All that, the marketing and all that. No, he just reiterated.
[1:34:57] Speaker 7: He just reiterated.
[1:35:00] Speaker 2: He reiterated what he said the first time. So he
[1:35:03] Speaker 2: said it. He took it further. He took it.
[1:35:05] Speaker 7: Further, but it was already said the point I'm fucking making.
[1:35:09] Speaker 7: And it wasn't his words from the beginning.
[1:35:12] Speaker 2: It wasn't his words.
[1:35:13] Speaker 3: Okay.
[1:35:14] Speaker 2: He was reporting on what he heard. Okay.
[1:35:17] Speaker 3: It ain't helping Jalen Brown. It's not. It's not.
[1:35:21] Speaker 2: It's not helping him. It's not going back and forth
[1:35:23] Speaker 2: with Stephen A. It's not. You don't need to.
[1:35:26] Speaker 3: There's no need.
[1:35:27] Speaker 7: It ain't hurting me. There's no need. It ain't hurting me.
[1:35:29] Speaker 7: I got time.
[1:35:30] Speaker 3: Right? If it's content, it's content.
[1:35:32] Speaker 2: So we're talking hoop, right?
[1:35:34] Speaker 8: So for Jalen Brown to go on his stream, so
[1:35:36] Speaker 8: we're going to be critical in a second, right?
[1:35:38] Speaker 3: For you to go on your stream.
[1:35:40] Speaker 7: After y'all lose and bitch and complain about the refs
[1:35:43] Speaker 7: and bitch complain about this and bitch complain about that.
[1:35:48] Speaker 3: Right?
[1:35:48] Speaker 7: You leave room for people to have something to say, dude.
[1:35:51] Speaker 7: You're giving me a reason. You're giving people ammunition and fuel.
[1:35:55] Speaker 7: to critique you even further than what people might already
[1:35:59] Speaker 7: think about you.
[1:36:02] Speaker 2: Like, this is the thing, right?
[1:36:03] Speaker 3: But that's true.
[1:36:03] Speaker 7: People might already be thinking these things. You're just fueling
[1:36:08] Speaker 7: that fire even more.
[1:36:09] Speaker 1: But in line with comments he made previously before a
[1:36:11] Speaker 1: little bit of serious. He's talking about the foul bait
[1:36:13] Speaker 1: and the flopping.
[1:36:14] Speaker 2: Okay, all of that. But you just lose.
[1:36:17] Speaker 7: It's a different... I get it. It comes from a
[1:36:20] Speaker 7: different place now. It lands on people in a different
[1:36:24] Speaker 7: light now. And now the people that already, if they're
[1:36:27] Speaker 7: on the fence about you, now you just give them
[1:36:30] Speaker 7: reason to go on the other side of it, right?
[1:36:32] Speaker 7: What's the difference between those comments that he made and
[1:36:37] Speaker 7: LeBron saying, I think my season was a success?
[1:36:41] Speaker 3: Because why does it have to be a comparison is
[1:36:45] Speaker 3: my thing. Why do we always got to bring LeBron in?
[1:36:47] Speaker 2: Because I want to compare. I want to compare.
[1:36:51] Speaker 7: This guy did not get, he did not get you
[1:36:54] Speaker 7: saying what you're saying right now. LeBron didn't get, we
[1:36:58] Speaker 7: didn't hear you say nothing about what LeBron said when
[1:37:03] Speaker 7: he said that. So now Jalen Brown says, this is
[1:37:06] Speaker 7: my favorite season.
[1:37:07] Speaker 2: This ain't got nothing to do with LeBron.
[1:37:09] Speaker 7: This is my favorite season. This ain't got nothing to
[1:37:10] Speaker 7: do with LeBron. We're talking about Jalen Brown here.
[1:37:13] Speaker 2: We're talking about Jalen Brown and Stephen A.
[1:37:14] Speaker 1: Smith.
[1:37:14] Speaker 2: I'm comparing.
[1:37:16] Speaker 7: Two players who made very similar comments.
[1:37:19] Speaker 2: Similar?
[1:37:20] Speaker 3: Very similar.
[1:37:22] Speaker 2: Very similar.
[1:37:23] Speaker 7: Very similar.
[1:37:25] Speaker 2: We bring LeBron up in the conversation.
[1:37:27] Speaker 3: I think he said he had a successful season.
[1:37:29] Speaker 7: LeBron said, I had a successful season. So he didn't say,
[1:37:32] Speaker 7: LeBron James didn't say, this is my favorite season.
[1:37:35] Speaker 3: He don't have to.
[1:37:37] Speaker 7: He don't fucking have to. He said, I felt like
[1:37:39] Speaker 7: I had a successful season this year.
[1:37:42] Speaker 3: Okay.
[1:37:43] Speaker 2: Okay. What you mean okay? Favorite and success is two
[1:37:45] Speaker 2: different things.
[1:37:46] Speaker 3: Okay. It's two different things. It is.
[1:37:48] Speaker 7: It is.
[1:37:48] Speaker 3: Nigga.
[1:37:48] Speaker 7: It sounds two different things.
[1:37:51] Speaker 2: But it sounds like I can compare it though.
[1:37:53] Speaker 3: No.
[1:37:53] Speaker 2: No, it does not sound like no.
[1:37:54] Speaker 3: Oh, I can't?
[1:37:55] Speaker 2: No, stop making no. For the sake of conversation, y'all
[1:37:57] Speaker 2: can go say no. For the sake of this right away. No. No.
[1:37:59] Speaker 3: Come on, man. Come on, man.
[1:38:01] Speaker 7: I hate basketball conversations that people want to bring Michael
[1:38:05] Speaker 7: Jordan up every time and LeBron James every time. Like,
[1:38:09] Speaker 7: that's low-hanging fruit. Y'all niggas is just doing this shit
[1:38:13] Speaker 7: to piss me off right now.
[1:38:14] Speaker 3: Y'all know what's going on.
[1:38:15] Speaker 2: That's low-hanging fruit.
[1:38:16] Speaker 3: Y'all know what's going on.
[1:38:18] Speaker 2: For you to bring LeBron James into it is low-hanging fruit.
[1:38:20] Speaker 2: He the only one that did the same thing.
[1:38:22] Speaker 7: He the only one that did the same exact thing
[1:38:25] Speaker 7: that's beeping with the same exact guy that no one.
[1:38:27] Speaker 2: Blew the roof off of. No, he did not.
[1:38:29] Speaker 7: You're just making that up in your head. You're making
[1:38:31] Speaker 7: that up in your head.
[1:38:32] Speaker 2: Who?
[1:38:32] Speaker 3: I did. You just said we're not going to compare, bro.
[1:38:41] Speaker 3: You just said we're not going to compare.
[1:38:42] Speaker 7: How are you going to throw yourself in there?
[1:38:45] Speaker 2: I said something to him in his face.
[1:38:47] Speaker 7: What the fuck are we doing, bro? Are we going
[1:38:50] Speaker 7: to move the goalposts or are we going to talk?
[1:38:52] Speaker 7: We're talking about Jalen Brown here.
[1:38:54] Speaker 2: So why would you bring you up?
[1:38:56] Speaker 7: I said I'm not going to have a conversation about
[1:38:58] Speaker 7: LeBron James.
[1:39:00] Speaker 2: I said that.
[1:39:01] Speaker 7: So therefore, saying something to the man and going on
[1:39:06] Speaker 7: with a narrative, what you're trying to do is two
[1:39:09] Speaker 7: separate things. What you mean saying something to the man?
[1:39:12] Speaker 7: LeBron said something to that man to his face. So
[1:39:14] Speaker 7: did Jalen Brown. He sat right in front of him
[1:39:17] Speaker 7: during the interview. They had an interview. Wait, wait, wait.
[1:39:21] Speaker 7: Was he over there? They was right here, right there.
[1:39:25] Speaker 7: They had a real interview after the whole marketing thing.
[1:39:28] Speaker 7: After he said he wasn't marketing, they had a whole
[1:39:30] Speaker 7: sit down.
[1:39:31] Speaker 2: And Stephen A. Smith said, I heard this. Those are
[1:39:33] Speaker 2: not my words.
[1:39:34] Speaker 7: They had a whole powwow on this situation.
[1:39:37] Speaker 3: Cool.
[1:39:39] Speaker 7: Now, fast forward two years. Two years fast forward two
[1:39:44] Speaker 7: years Whatever it was.
[1:39:46] Speaker 8: It wasn't reconciled by Jalen Brown or right, okay He
[1:39:51] Speaker 8: still feels the way about the guy Okay Whatever the
[1:39:58] Speaker 8: conversation we said I'd have a conversation However, I'll walk
[1:40:01] Speaker 8: away from that conversation is my Given right, right? We
[1:40:06] Speaker 8: ain't got to become friends. We don't have to text
[1:40:08] Speaker 8: each other. We had a conversation Fast forward two years
[1:40:12] Speaker 8: Jalen Brown, now on your Twitch stream, whatever you're on,
[1:40:16] Speaker 8: you're doing your thing. After your season, you have a
[1:40:20] Speaker 8: statement that's being made about this. Now other people, you
[1:40:24] Speaker 8: on your stream talking about this, so now people are
[1:40:26] Speaker 8: critiquing what you had to say.
[1:40:30] Speaker 3: Multiple people.
[1:40:31] Speaker 2: But in those two years, right, he left Nike, right?
[1:40:34] Speaker 2: He left Nike, he started his own brand.
[1:40:37] Speaker 3: Right.
[1:40:37] Speaker 2: And then he didn't go to the Olympics thing. Right.
[1:40:40] Speaker 3: Everybody else. Right. So.
[1:40:41] Speaker 7: So now everybody even I mean, listen, I was I'm
[1:40:44] Speaker 7: with him.
[1:40:45] Speaker 3: I fuck with JB.
[1:40:45] Speaker 7: But after that, we were all thinking like shit.
[1:40:48] Speaker 2: Maybe they don't fuck.
[1:40:49] Speaker 7: You can't say we were all thinking shit. You can
[1:40:51] Speaker 7: only say you were thinking how he is a final
[1:40:54] Speaker 7: fucking MVP. And you got Derek White playing for the
[1:40:56] Speaker 7: fucking USA team. And he's the best player on the team.
[1:40:58] Speaker 7: How the fuck he's not there.
[1:40:59] Speaker 2: Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr.
[1:41:02] Speaker 3: Steve Kerr.
[1:41:02] Speaker 7: So Steve Kerr is not his fault.
[1:41:05] Speaker 2: So why didn't Jason Tatum play?
[1:41:07] Speaker 7: So why didn't Jason Tatum play? That's Steve Kerr's fault.
[1:41:11] Speaker 2: Everything is Steve Kerr's fault.
[1:41:12] Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
[1:41:13] Speaker 2: Steve Kerr don't pick the team. Yeah, he do.
[1:41:17] Speaker 3: Yeah, he do.
[1:41:18] Speaker 2: He has a mother. They look at the list and
[1:41:20] Speaker 2: they say who I want. I want. He actually talked
[1:41:22] Speaker 2: about it.
[1:41:23] Speaker 7: Steve Kerr talked about it.
[1:41:24] Speaker 3: It wasn't his decision.
[1:41:25] Speaker 7: He talked about having two other guys that played above
[1:41:29] Speaker 7: Jason Tatum.
[1:41:30] Speaker 2: Bro.
[1:41:30] Speaker 7: That could play defense. Damon Brown didn't even make the team.
[1:41:33] Speaker 7: Y'all reaching out to play.
[1:41:34] Speaker 3: Y'all reaching.
[1:41:35] Speaker 2: It's on him.
[1:41:35] Speaker 3: Y'all reaching, man.
[1:41:36] Speaker 2: They had Derek White on the fucking team. Y'all reaching, man.
[1:41:39] Speaker 3: Steven A.
[1:41:40] Speaker 2: Kerr.
[1:41:40] Speaker 3: They picked his teammate over him. Y'all reaching, man.
[1:41:43] Speaker 2: Two of them. Two role players. No, no, no. We're
[1:41:45] Speaker 2: not reaching it.
[1:41:46] Speaker 7: Jason Tatum is exempt from that. They picked fucking Derek
[1:41:50] Speaker 7: White over him.
[1:41:51] Speaker 3: And Drew Holiday.
[1:41:52] Speaker 2: Remember, Drew Holiday was on that team.
[1:41:54] Speaker 7: And they picked him over Kyrie Irving, too. They picked
[1:41:58] Speaker 7: two of them over Kyrie Irving, too.
[1:41:59] Speaker 2: Drew is deserving. And why did they do that? Why
[1:42:03] Speaker 2: did they do that? Because they both got in the
[1:42:05] Speaker 2: same tub for the same thing.
[1:42:06] Speaker 3: Okay.
[1:42:06] Speaker 7: So what are we talking about? So what are we
[1:42:08] Speaker 7: talking about? What did Kyrie do? He started his own
[1:42:10] Speaker 7: stream to control his own narrative.
[1:42:12] Speaker 2: Okay.
[1:42:12] Speaker 7: So what's wrong with that? You can do that. So
[1:42:15] Speaker 7: what's wrong with it?
[1:42:16] Speaker 2: But nothing's wrong. What's wrong with it?
[1:42:18] Speaker 3: Nothing.
[1:42:19] Speaker 2: All right.
[1:42:19] Speaker 7: So what are we talking about? If nothing's wrong with it.
[1:42:21] Speaker 7: They went the Kanye route.
[1:42:22] Speaker 3: Cool. He is, too. They're all in this fucking.
[1:42:25] Speaker 2: They're all on the left together. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
[1:42:27] Speaker 2: You're still great. You're the greatest.
[1:42:29] Speaker 7: Y'all arguing me like there's something wrong with you. Him, Kanye,
[1:42:33] Speaker 7: motherfucking Kyrie, Jalen Brown, all them niggas is over here.
[1:42:38] Speaker 2: And that's fine. It's a success. It's a lot of
[1:42:40] Speaker 2: success and a lot of bars.
[1:42:41] Speaker 7: It's a lot of free thinking. It's a lot of sovereignty.
[1:42:45] Speaker 7: It's a lot of you don't control what the fuck
[1:42:47] Speaker 7: I say.
[1:42:48] Speaker 2: I got my own voice. I'm going to say.
[1:42:50] Speaker 7: What I need to say for you to respect me.
[1:42:53] Speaker 2: And that's fine.
[1:42:56] Speaker 7: But when it comes to the NBA and they write
[1:42:58] Speaker 7: you a text, there's just certain things you cannot do.
[1:43:00] Speaker 7: Like what? You can't just say anything on your content.
[1:43:05] Speaker 2: Like you said, content. What did he say that he
[1:43:08] Speaker 2: can't say?
[1:43:09] Speaker 7: You can't just say anything on your content.
[1:43:12] Speaker 2: What did he say?
[1:43:13] Speaker 7: What did he say that he can't say? What did
[1:43:16] Speaker 7: he say that he can't say? You don't have the
[1:43:18] Speaker 7: freedom like you think you do. You don't have the freedom?
[1:43:21] Speaker 7: In America? You don't have the freedom in America? Freedom
[1:43:25] Speaker 7: of speech is number one. When a national basketball associate
[1:43:29] Speaker 7: is writing your motherfucking text, you cannot just say whatever
[1:43:33] Speaker 7: the fuck you say.

[1:45:30] Speaker 7: just arguing with me for 30 minutes about not rolling
[1:45:32] Speaker 7: with JB?
[1:45:32] Speaker 2: Because we're talking about the situation. You're missing the point.
[1:45:34] Speaker 2: I love Jalen. I love Jalen Brown as a player
[1:45:36] Speaker 2: and what he does. But what he did. Oh, you
[1:45:38] Speaker 2: definitely do.
[1:45:39] Speaker 3: Yes, yes, of course. Absolutely.
[1:45:41] Speaker 7: But what he did, we have to, let's be honest. Like, no,
[1:45:43] Speaker 7: I'm not rolling with that situation. Like, you're not winning
[1:45:46] Speaker 7: in this situation. They have trade rumors of you going
[1:45:48] Speaker 7: to Milwaukee. Yeah.
[1:45:49] Speaker 2: How are you winning in this situation talking?
[1:45:51] Speaker 3: They had trade rumors of everybody being traded. No, they didn't.
[1:45:54] Speaker 3: What the fuck? It's called a rumor.
[1:45:56] Speaker 2: All right.
[1:45:58] Speaker 7: Okay.
[1:45:59] Speaker 2: All right, but go ahead, Josiah, man.
