LeBron James SWEPT Out Of The NBA Playoffs SPARKS Gil's Arena as the Gil's Arena Crew reacts to the Los Angeles Lakers getting swept by the OKC Thunder to end their run through the NBA Playoffs and debate what's next for the King as he considers retirement or a new team in Year 24 of his all time NBA Career. Next, they move over to a far more entertaining series in the Western Conference as they react to Anthony Edwards & The Minnesota Timberwolves evening up the series against the San Antonio Spurs and discuss Victor Wembanyama's hostile elbow that invited the Wolves back into the series. They debate if the Alien deserves a harsher penalty for his shot to the side of Naz Reid's head and break down who is under more pressure to win Game 5 and get 1 win away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals. They then discuss another sweep in the NBA Playoffs as the New York Knicks finished off an easy series against the Philadelphia 76ers to prove they're the team to beat int the East and debate what's next for Joel Embiid & The Sixers as their franchise player called the season a success despite falling short of the Conference Finals once again. Finally, they react to Donovan Mitchell's record breaking 2nd Half to power the Cleveland Cavaliers to a huge win over the Detroit Pistons to tie their series and debate which team will move on to face the Knicks in the next round. [0:02] Speaker 1: Welcome back to Gil's Arena presented by Underdog.
[0:04] Speaker 2: Whoa, whoa. Whoa, whoa. Sad day. For L.A. fans. Huh?
[0:12] Speaker 3: You said it's a sad day?
[0:16] Speaker 2: It's for L.A.
[0:16] Speaker 4: Fans.
[0:18] Speaker 2: Basketball community.
[0:19] Speaker 3: The Ducks are still in it. Game five tonight. Still
[0:24] Speaker 3: part of L.A. County.
[0:25] Speaker 1: The Los Angeles Ducks or Anaheim? Game five tonight, baby.
[0:33] Speaker 1: We got a lot to get into, though, obviously. Tons
[0:36] Speaker 1: of playoff basketball going on around the league. This is
[0:38] Speaker 1: Gills Arena presented by Underdog. I'm merely host Josiah Johnson.
[0:43] Speaker 1: We are eagerly awaiting Swaggy P's arrival. We will keep
[0:47] Speaker 1: you updated on his whereabouts.
[0:48] Speaker 3: That's funny.
[0:49] Speaker 1: But representing tough crowd, card-carrying country club member, we got Mr. B.
[0:53] Speaker 1: Brandon Jennings. The glove don't fit. This side, we got
[1:03] Speaker 1: the distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff, former number one pick,
[1:05] Speaker 1: Kenya Martin.
[1:08] Speaker 2: Hold on, hold on, hold on.
[1:09] Speaker 3: We got another country club member on the couch.
[1:14] Speaker 2: Kenya, you are?
[1:14] Speaker 3: Right here.
[1:15] Speaker 2: I am. Officially a card-carrying country club member. Come on, man. Welcome, brother. Welcome.
[1:21] Speaker 2: Two country club members. Tuck your shirt in.
[1:23] Speaker 3: Put the college shirt on.
[1:24] Speaker 2: Play with it. You know what I'm talking about? You know?
[1:26] Speaker 1: And last but not least, in full Lakers uniform with
[1:30] Speaker 1: the Kobe's, The man they call Cemetery Larry, NCAA champion
[1:34] Speaker 1: of the world, Dr.
[1:34] Speaker 2: Rashad McCants, Ph.D. That was easy.
[1:51] Speaker 5: Don't laugh. It ain't funny. A couple flowers. You got
[1:56] Speaker 5: to give flowers. We use laughter as a coping mechanism.
[1:58] Speaker 1: You got to give thanks. In the black basketball community.
[2:02] Speaker 1: But we got a lot to discuss. Here's what's cracking
[2:04] Speaker 1: in Gil's arena today. The Knicks swept the Sixers with
[2:08] Speaker 1: another blowout win in an elimination game this postseason. Does
[2:11] Speaker 1: the East officially run through New York? Wimby's ejection in
[2:15] Speaker 1: Ant-Man's Mother's Day tribute helped the Wolves even the series
[2:18] Speaker 1: with the Spurs. Is San Antonio still in the driver's seat?
[2:23] Speaker 1: And OKC improved to 8-0 this postseason with their second
[2:27] Speaker 1: straight sweep. Where do the Thunder... and the Lakers go
[2:31] Speaker 1: from here. But before we get into all that, as always,
[2:33] Speaker 1: this show is brought to you by Underdog. Underdog available

[2:55] Speaker 1: have not noticed, NBA champion, world swag EP, Nick Young,
[2:59] Speaker 1: has joined us.
[3:02] Speaker 2: Here in the arena.
[3:02] Speaker 4: That's the sound it was making last night.
[3:11] Speaker 1: Well, speaking of that, we're going to start this show
[3:13] Speaker 1: off in the Western Conference unfortunate situation that went down
[3:16] Speaker 1: in L.A.
[3:17] Speaker 2: On Monday.
[3:18] Speaker 1: Lakers entered their Game 4 matchup with the Thunder trailing 3-0,
[3:21] Speaker 1: looking to avoid the sweep with three straight third-quarter meltdowns
[3:25] Speaker 1: and three straight double-digit losses by a combined 20 points,
[3:29] Speaker 1: including a 23-23 Point blowout in Game 3, Saturday night
[3:34] Speaker 1: at their crib. With their backs against the wall, the
[3:36] Speaker 1: Purple and Gold put together their best performance of the series.
[3:40] Speaker 1: Trailed by double digits midway through the third quarter, but
[3:42] Speaker 1: bounced back to take a four-point lead heading into the
[3:44] Speaker 1: final frame as the Thunder faced their first fourth-quarter deficit
[3:49] Speaker 1: this entire postseason. But the reigning MVP and champs refused
[3:52] Speaker 1: to be denied, bringing out the brooms for the second
[3:55] Speaker 1: straight playoff series. We pick up the action in the
[3:57] Speaker 1: fourth quarter, since we must.
[4:01] Speaker 2: Yo, what's going on?
[4:01] Speaker 1: Austin Reeves hit a big three in Alex Caruso's grill
[4:04] Speaker 1: to put the Lakers up five with just under eight
[4:06] Speaker 1: minutes remaining. Reeves led the Lakers with 27.7 boards, six assists.
[4:10] Speaker 1: Rui Hachimura, another impressive game, 25 points on 9 of
[4:13] Speaker 1: 15 shooting. LeBron had 24 in a game high, 12
[4:16] Speaker 1: rebounds going 8 for 18 from the field. But SGA
[4:19] Speaker 1: snapped out of his scoring slump with his best game
[4:22] Speaker 1: of the series, putting up a game high 35 points
[4:25] Speaker 1: on 11 of 22 shooting along with eight assists.
[4:27] Speaker 2: A.J.
[4:27] Speaker 1: Mitchell had his third straight 20-point game Coming through with
[4:30] Speaker 1: 28 points and four steals, while Chet Holmgren added 16
[4:33] Speaker 1: to nine boards, and Jared McCain had 13 points off
[4:36] Speaker 1: the bench, including a three in the fourth quarter to
[4:39] Speaker 1: tie things up. Thunder tried to pull away, but the
[4:42] Speaker 1: Lakers stayed within striking distance. And with the Thunder up six,
[4:47] Speaker 1: Rui Hachimura came through with a four-point play to cut
[4:50] Speaker 1: the deficit to two. Rui trying to get his bread.
[4:53] Speaker 1: And Marcus Smartz and one gave the Lakers a one-point
[4:55] Speaker 1: lead with 40 seconds remaining, but Chet Holmgren responded with
[4:59] Speaker 1: a dunk near LeBron James. As Jackson Hayes watched on,
[5:05] Speaker 1: put the Thunder back up. LeBron had the chance to
[5:08] Speaker 1: put the Lakers back up with 20 seconds to go,
[5:11] Speaker 1: but missed the bank shot. That shit hit two free
[5:13] Speaker 1: throws to extend O.K.
[5:14] Speaker 2: 's lead to three.
[5:14] Speaker 1: Lakers had one last chance to tie things up, but
[5:17] Speaker 1: Austin Reeves missed a three-pointer on a possession in which
[5:19] Speaker 1: both Rui Hachimura and Luke Kennard were on the bench.
[5:23] Speaker 1: Thunder outscored the Lakers 35-26 in the final frame, ending
[5:26] Speaker 1: the game on a 28-18 run. to get the win
[5:30] Speaker 1: and sweep their second straight series. OKC improved to 8-0
[5:33] Speaker 1: against the Lakers this season after winning all four regular
[5:37] Speaker 1: season games rather convincingly. Now won nine straight playoff games,
[5:42] Speaker 1: advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the second straight season.
[5:45] Speaker 2: Swaggy, we'll start with you.
[5:47] Speaker 4: Why?
[5:47] Speaker 1: Play on NBC this weekend with Mario Salim over at Universal.
[5:52] Speaker 1: What are your biggest takeaways from the Thunder sweeping your
[5:56] Speaker 1: Los Angeles Lakers?
[5:58] Speaker 4: Ah, man, the Lakers, they wasn't ready. I think OKC's
[6:03] Speaker 4: just too deep. I think they're going to be in
[6:06] Speaker 4: a real crisis because A.J. Mitchell, he's emerging as that
[6:14] Speaker 4: Jalen Williams, J-Dub spot. They're going to have some stuff
[6:20] Speaker 4: to figure out. I like what the Lakers did, though.
[6:26] Speaker 4: They didn't, you know, during the regular season, lost every
[6:30] Speaker 4: game by 30 points. Playoffs, they played harder. But they
[6:37] Speaker 4: just wasn't deep enough for OKC. I think a lot
[6:39] Speaker 4: of people knew this was what was going to happen.
[6:43] Speaker 4: I feel like LeBron did his job. If he was
[6:47] Speaker 4: going to go down, he took KD down with him.
[6:50] Speaker 4: You feel me? Yeah.
[6:51] Speaker 2: Crabs in a barrel, ladies and gentlemen.
[6:53] Speaker 4: Crabs in a barrel. But I'm proud of my Lakers.
[6:57] Speaker 4: I'm proud of them. Nobody expected us to go to
[6:59] Speaker 4: the second round. So it's not like we thought they
[7:03] Speaker 4: was going to go to the finals and, you know,
[7:06] Speaker 4: win it all. Braun is not. Braun is young. He's old.
[7:10] Speaker 2: He is.
[7:13] Speaker 4: But I just like how hard they play. Marcus Smart, Rui,
[7:18] Speaker 4: OKC got like that. Warriors field at third quarter. That's
[7:23] Speaker 4: when they step up and make adjustments and just show
[7:26] Speaker 4: who they really are.
[7:29] Speaker 1: Bron swept for the fourth time in his career, second
[7:31] Speaker 1: time since 2020. Bron against swept the same. That's what
[7:34] Speaker 1: we on.
[7:35] Speaker 2: Bronny swept for the first time.
[7:36] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[7:37] Speaker 1: His professional career. First father and son. To get swept
[7:42] Speaker 1: by the Thunder.
[7:44] Speaker 4: AJ needed to come to the Lakers. AJ and Wally.
[7:47] Speaker 1: Thunder have a very favorable contract with AJ Mitchell. Got
[7:50] Speaker 1: two years left on his deal. Last year, the team option,
[7:52] Speaker 1: I think, was like a three-year, close to $ 9 million deal.
[7:55] Speaker 2: That's it?
[7:56] Speaker 4: So, yes.
[7:57] Speaker 2: The game is rigged, Swanky. He is not anywhere near.
[8:00] Speaker 2: You're going to take this money, you're going to like it.
[8:02] Speaker 4: Well, he only get nine?
[8:04] Speaker 2: Overperforming.
[8:06] Speaker 1: Some conversation may need to be had in the near future,
[8:08] Speaker 1: but as of right now, and this last year, the
[8:09] Speaker 1: team option, shout out Sam Presti, but Mr. B, let's
[8:13] Speaker 1: shift over to you. Biggest takeaways from watching SGA and
[8:17] Speaker 1: the Thunder sweep the Lakers.
[8:20] Speaker 3: I got to give a shout out to JJ. I mean,
[8:23] Speaker 3: he coached his ass off. It's just that his team wasn't,
[8:27] Speaker 3: you know, couldn't, you know, just couldn't match up at all.
[8:34] Speaker 3: You know, this is a game that they should have won.
[8:36] Speaker 3: Marcus Moore had four turnovers in the fourth quarter. Shout
[8:41] Speaker 3: out to Rui. He had a great game. Mitchell, he
[8:44] Speaker 3: stepped up this series. He had a hell of a
[8:45] Speaker 3: series this series, you know, with J-Dub being down. So
[8:50] Speaker 3: it was a good look for them. But, I mean,
[8:52] Speaker 3: they played like the champs, man. You know, they took
[8:54] Speaker 3: care of business. You know, Lakers tried to do the
[8:57] Speaker 3: best they could with what they had. But overall, you know,
[9:01] Speaker 3: the OKC, they were just way better than them.
[9:04] Speaker 4: Up and down.
[9:05] Speaker 3: So something that they just got to get ready for
[9:07] Speaker 3: next year. You know, Lakers also didn't have their best player,
[9:10] Speaker 3: but I don't think that would have mattered. But, you know, hey,
[9:14] Speaker 3: it is what it is. On to the next one.
[9:17] Speaker 1: Luka missed the entire postseason hamstring injury. will not play
[9:20] Speaker 1: with Slovenia this summer in the FIBA qualifiers. But let's
[9:24] Speaker 1: shift over to this side.
[9:25] Speaker 2: Canyon, I see you. I thought initially it was a
[9:27] Speaker 2: Byron Scott jersey. Yeah. No, no, no. It's not a
[9:30] Speaker 2: Byron Scott.
[9:31] Speaker 1: The Westside Connect gang, VB Bank. But what are your
[9:33] Speaker 1: biggest takeaways from the Thunder sweeping the Lakers?
[9:38] Speaker 6: Yeah, no, the Lakers, they won the man against a
[9:42] Speaker 6: really good team. Getting out of the first round was
[9:46] Speaker 6: a success for this team, being without AR for most
[9:49] Speaker 6: of that series, being without Luka. Getting out of the
[9:52] Speaker 6: first round was a success. Ran up against a much
[9:55] Speaker 6: better team that's striving to repeat. Like I stated before
[10:00] Speaker 6: the series started, unfortunately the Lakers would be collateral damage
[10:05] Speaker 6: in the Thunder's quest to repeat. Oklahoma City is a
[10:12] Speaker 6: good team. They have basically nine guys that are similar
[10:19] Speaker 6: skill set on both sides of the ball, right? From
[10:23] Speaker 6: Shea down to the Williams kid from Dallas in the
[10:26] Speaker 6: third and fourth with the Shaq. All of them from,
[10:28] Speaker 6: you got Shea, Wiggins, Joe, Wallace, Williams, just, they all
[10:35] Speaker 6: a similar skill set that do the same thing and
[10:37] Speaker 6: they just, they don't let up, right? And that's recipe
[10:43] Speaker 6: for success. And then you put the bigs with that
[10:46] Speaker 6: they have, um, Hardenstein plays too hard for DeAndre Ayton.
[10:51] Speaker 6: He is a live wire. He plays too hard for
[10:55] Speaker 6: DeAndre Ayton. DeAndre Ayton can't match that, what he brings
[10:58] Speaker 6: to the table. Minute for minute, I didn't think in
[11:01] Speaker 6: this series. You were accurate in that assessment. Yeah, and
[11:05] Speaker 6: Mark Smart can't have the kind of turnovers he had
[11:07] Speaker 6: late in the game. What you love about Mark Smart
[11:11] Speaker 6: is the same things at times. It's them WTF moments
[11:17] Speaker 6: for coaches. Like, what the fuck are you thinking? What
[11:19] Speaker 6: the fuck are you doing? Moments as a coach. Brandon
[11:25] Speaker 6: said J.J. did a great job. Limited what he had
[11:31] Speaker 6: in the cupboard for the most part. I agree with you.
[11:36] Speaker 6: Only question would be at the end of the game,
[11:41] Speaker 6: why don't you have the guy that's shooting 58% from
[11:44] Speaker 6: three in the game? another guy that's probably your best shooter,
[11:47] Speaker 6: and Luke Kennard on the floor when you need a three.
[11:50] Speaker 6: You put in Maxie Kleber, who ain't sniffed the floor
[11:53] Speaker 6: at all, which was an interesting call at that juncture
[11:56] Speaker 6: of the game. Don't know what that was about. Maybe
[12:00] Speaker 6: it was decoying you. You outsmarted yourself, I think. Yeah,
[12:08] Speaker 6: the more shooters on the floor, the better.
[12:11] Speaker 2: That's my... And he's a shooter. And you're a shooter
[12:14] Speaker 2: as well, so I think you should know that. Because
[12:16] Speaker 2: you would be in the game. You're absolutely correct in that.
[12:17] Speaker 2: You would be in the game.
[12:18] Speaker 4: Absolutely.
[12:19] Speaker 6: But, yeah, they were outmatched from top to bottom in
[12:25] Speaker 6: a team that's trying to repeat, man. And OKC looks
[12:29] Speaker 6: like a team that's on a mission to repeat. And
[12:35] Speaker 6: once you have that confidence that no matter what a
[12:39] Speaker 6: team does– you got they number, I think Oklahoma City,
[12:45] Speaker 6: they're figuring that out in real time, right? That if
[12:49] Speaker 6: we play our game, we are very tough to beat.
[12:52] Speaker 6: And I think the Lakers, that was last night, right?
[12:55] Speaker 6: Everything the Lakers threw at them, no matter what the
[12:57] Speaker 6: Lakers did, they had an answer to it. Yeah, Rui
[13:03] Speaker 6: played great. The guys that needed to play well for
[13:06] Speaker 6: the Lakers did. Austin Reeves played well. It's just too much.
[13:12] Speaker 6: There's too much on the other side.
[13:15] Speaker 1: Last one, at least I'll shift over to Dr. McCann's PhD.
[13:18] Speaker 1: I see petals on the floor. A pre-owned broom, slightly worn.
[13:26] Speaker 2: We'll get to the sweeping later. Okay, just has been
[13:30] Speaker 2: in use.
[13:30] Speaker 1: What are your biggest takeaways from the Thunder sweeping the
[13:34] Speaker 1: Los Angeles Lakers?
[13:36] Speaker 5: I brought followers for the King, but I'm going to
[13:40] Speaker 5: Share that later. I think it's funny, man. There's a
[13:46] Speaker 5: lot of praise for the Lakers getting swept.
[13:49] Speaker 2: It's interesting. You can praise them for.
[13:51] Speaker 1: Somebody said the hardest sweep in NBA history. That's just
[13:55] Speaker 1: what the internet is saying.
[13:57] Speaker 2: It's kind of weird to me, man. The least amount
[14:00] Speaker 2: of games possible.
[14:01] Speaker 5: I would expect more criticism from a storied franchise that
[14:06] Speaker 5: has essentially competed all season. to be in the position.
[14:10] Speaker 5: Swag did say they didn't expect them to be in
[14:13] Speaker 5: the second round. I think we all expected them to
[14:15] Speaker 5: be in the second round. I think we all expected
[14:17] Speaker 5: them to do what Laker fans thought they would do,
[14:20] Speaker 5: go to the conference finals and try to compete for
[14:22] Speaker 5: a championship.
[14:23] Speaker 4: So with no A.R. and no Luka, you thought Houston
[14:26] Speaker 4: was going to lose to Luka, Nard, and LeBron?
[14:30] Speaker 2: Can I finish?
[14:31] Speaker 4: I'm just, my bad, I'm sorry.
[14:33] Speaker 2: Okay.
[14:34] Speaker 5: I don't think we all expected it. So, like, The
[14:38] Speaker 5: expectation is always going to be there. I mean, we
[14:41] Speaker 5: heard that Luka was going to go overseas and get
[14:43] Speaker 5: the treatment. I guess the treatment doesn't work, so we're
[14:47] Speaker 5: not going back over there no more. AR coming back
[14:52] Speaker 5: should have been a little boost. I guess this is
[14:55] Speaker 5: the last game where he got his shit together and
[14:57] Speaker 5: it still wasn't enough. JJ Redick doing a great job.
[15:01] Speaker 5: I wish getting swept reflected that. doing a great job.
[15:09] Speaker 5: I believe wholeheartedly he did not adjust. He did not
[15:13] Speaker 5: have his team prepared for this team, a team that's
[15:17] Speaker 5: made him look pretty crazy over the last two encounters.
[15:21] Speaker 5: So I had a bigger expectation for them to compete
[15:25] Speaker 5: at a higher level. They were outmatched, outgunned from an
[15:30] Speaker 5: energy standpoint. They didn't show up with the energy. DeAndre
[15:34] Speaker 5: Ayton completely got outmatched I believe certain players on the
[15:40] Speaker 5: Laker team got outplayed by the other role players that
[15:43] Speaker 5: showed up for OKC. They do what they do all year.
[15:46] Speaker 5: Just play hard. Play hard, play smart, play together. The
[15:49] Speaker 5: other team will fold at some point. And when you
[15:53] Speaker 5: look at the whole series, the whole four games, there are,
[15:57] Speaker 5: I think, two games where they could have won. They
[16:00] Speaker 5: just made mistakes. I think you look at 19 turnovers
[16:03] Speaker 5: to 11, 22 points off, turnovers and second chance points
[16:10] Speaker 5: and stuff like that. These are small things that change
[16:12] Speaker 5: the dynamic. You didn't get beat by the three. You
[16:15] Speaker 5: didn't get beat by free throws. You got beat by
[16:20] Speaker 5: just not executing and not playing real basketball. And at
[16:24] Speaker 5: the end of the day, that's what happens when you
[16:26] Speaker 5: get swept. And again, I'm going to hold the leader accountable.
[16:33] Speaker 5: He said in his press conference that Being a third option,
[16:36] Speaker 5: he's never done it before. And he's not good at
[16:39] Speaker 5: thriving at it, which he thinks he did thrive at it.
[16:42] Speaker 5: And then moving back to his original position, number one,
[16:45] Speaker 5: I feel like you can go back to thriving at
[16:48] Speaker 5: the number one. And I think in the last eight years,
[16:51] Speaker 5: we've seen the number one not get it done when
[16:54] Speaker 5: it counts. And this needed to be something that just
[16:58] Speaker 5: saved the saver for the Lakers fan, not get swept.
[17:02] Speaker 5: Let's just not get swept. Let's win one game. And
[17:06] Speaker 5: I think to do that on your home floor is
[17:09] Speaker 5: bad for business, man. I'm not going to sugarcoat it
[17:12] Speaker 5: and hold hands.
[17:13] Speaker 2: It looked nasty.
[17:15] Speaker 5: I wanted them to compete to win at least one game,
[17:17] Speaker 5: but getting swept is what it is.
[17:20] Speaker 3: He said eight years.
[17:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's easy to say when the team is better
[17:23] Speaker 2: than you.
[17:25] Speaker 3: Yeah, right.
[17:25] Speaker 7: When the team is better than you.
[17:27] Speaker 3: He said he hasn't done nothing in eight years, right?
[17:29] Speaker 3: That's a number. Yeah. They did win the championship.
[17:34] Speaker 4: I thought they did. I was thinking.
[17:36] Speaker 2: What championship? When the team better than you, good luck.
[17:42] Speaker 2: That's all. I think we were able to surmise. I
[17:46] Speaker 2: ain't been there. Trust me. With or without Luke?
[17:49] Speaker 6: You can show up your best person. The best team
[17:52] Speaker 6: that you have to put on the floor can show up.
[17:54] Speaker 6: And when the team better than you, they just better
[17:56] Speaker 6: than you.
[17:58] Speaker 2: And Yeah.
[18:00] Speaker 3: He said the last eight years, the number one on
[18:02] Speaker 3: the team ain't done nothing. They won a championship in
[18:04] Speaker 3: the boat.
[18:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, but the coronavirus is the number one option then.
[18:10] Speaker 2: The Rona, as it's known.
[18:10] Speaker 3: All I know is that LeBron, he won finals MVP, right?
[18:13] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[18:14] Speaker 4: Okay.
[18:14] Speaker 3: So, eight years.
[18:15] Speaker 1: Two championships during his time with the Lakers. Yeah, man,
[18:18] Speaker 1: that man did what he had. 2023 inaugural NBA Cup championship,
[18:22] Speaker 1: which counts.
[18:23] Speaker 6: Call a spade a spade. That man did what he
[18:25] Speaker 6: had to do, man.
[18:25] Speaker 5: Man.
[18:26] Speaker 2: At 41, under them circumstances, playing against that team. Did
[18:31] Speaker 2: what he had to do.
[18:31] Speaker 3: That young team?
[18:32] Speaker 2: Did what he had to do, man.
[18:34] Speaker 4: I disagree.
[18:35] Speaker 5: I disagree 100%. Because, you know, he did what he
[18:37] Speaker 5: had to do against Houston. It was all sunshines and rainbows.
[18:40] Speaker 5: He's the GOAT.
[18:42] Speaker 3: No, they did.
[18:44] Speaker 6: He did what he had to do against that team
[18:45] Speaker 6: to get his team out the first round. This team
[18:47] Speaker 6: just better than them.
[18:48] Speaker 5: They did what they had to do.
[18:51] Speaker 2: He was 41. He was 41 in the first round.
[18:53] Speaker 2: He did what he had to do to get his
[18:54] Speaker 2: team out the first round.
[18:55] Speaker 6: He was 41 in the second round, and that team
[18:58] Speaker 6: was better than them.
[18:59] Speaker 2: Nothing more to put on it. Yeah, you lost. You
[19:02] Speaker 2: got swept. You got to do better.
[19:04] Speaker 3: They also didn't have 35 points.
[19:08] Speaker 2: Either way it go, that team was better.
[19:10] Speaker 3: But I'm just saying, they still didn't have.
[19:11] Speaker 2: Their 35 points. If he was out there, If he
[19:15] Speaker 2: was out there, who knows? He wasn't. We don't know
[19:18] Speaker 2: what would have happened.
[19:19] Speaker 6: All we do know is the guys that suited up,
[19:23] Speaker 6: that Oklahoma City team was better than this Los Angeles Lakers.
[19:26] Speaker 5: All we know is they got swept with this broom.
[19:29] Speaker 5: That's all we know. We know that the first round
[19:34] Speaker 5: wasn't no sweep. The first round was, man, if he
[19:37] Speaker 5: loses this series against this team.
[19:39] Speaker 2: It's going to affect his legacy. No, it's not. Legacy
[19:43] Speaker 2: is cemented.
[19:44] Speaker 4: Woo woo woo. Yeah, it is.
[19:45] Speaker 5: If LeBron gets them out of the first round against Houston,
[19:48] Speaker 5: he's got to be the GOAT.
[19:50] Speaker 4: Right? Who said that?
[19:51] Speaker 2: Because of who he's got on his team. No Luka,
[19:53] Speaker 2: no A.R. Who said that? Who said that? The people.
[19:56] Speaker 5: Oh.
[19:57] Speaker 6: So them. Once again, I'm still waiting on who them
[19:59] Speaker 6: people is.
[20:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, them people. Same people that deal with talking about
[20:03] Speaker 2: their dates. If they, and I'll ask Gil who they is,
[20:07] Speaker 2: that's the same people. Is this media?
[20:09] Speaker 3: Is this media saying this?
[20:09] Speaker 5: Yeah, let's just say the media and the people in
[20:11] Speaker 5: comments and the overall consensus of conversation.
[20:14] Speaker 4: You don't think what he did against Houston was with
[20:17] Speaker 4: the team he had?
[20:18] Speaker 2: You thought it was good? I did. Okay, so you
[20:20] Speaker 2: think that this sweep is good too?
[20:22] Speaker 4: No, I knew this team was just better than him.
[20:24] Speaker 2: Okay, so is the sweep bad?
[20:26] Speaker 4: But I didn't see them beating Houston with the team
[20:29] Speaker 4: without A.R. and Lucas neither.
[20:30] Speaker 5: Okay, so you think they beat Houston with Kevin Durant?
[20:35] Speaker 4: Well, when he came back, they did. The one game, right?
[20:41] Speaker 4: But he did beat him. That's the only game he played. Right,
[20:44] Speaker 4: so you get praise for that. Get him out the
[20:48] Speaker 4: first round, good. Get your ass swept. 23 years you've
[20:53] Speaker 4: been playing. You know how to play this game.
[20:55] Speaker 3: J.J.
[20:55] Speaker 2: Riddick, you have 100 plus wins two years as a coach.
[21:05] Speaker 2: Regular season.
[21:06] Speaker 5: Darvin Ham, like I said before, Darvin Ham got ridiculed, killed.
[21:13] Speaker 5: He went to the conference finals and then got swept.
[21:18] Speaker 5: This is a big deal. Can't sweep this under the rug.
[21:21] Speaker 5: We can sweep it out the way, though. We can
[21:23] Speaker 5: sweep it out the way, but we're not going to
[21:25] Speaker 5: sweep it under the rug.
[21:28] Speaker 6: Let me ask you a question. So you say you're
[21:30] Speaker 6: expecting them to win at least one game, right? So
[21:33] Speaker 6: what's the difference in one game and it's still a loss?
[21:37] Speaker 2: Fight. They fought. They fought. So what is the difference
[21:42] Speaker 2: of them winning one game? What is that going to do?
[21:45] Speaker 2: It's called a sweep. We understand what it's called. It's 4-0.
[21:49] Speaker 2: That ain't the question.
[21:50] Speaker 3: The Lakers fought as hard as they could, man.
[21:52] Speaker 2: I don't give a damn. You got dominated. So win
[21:54] Speaker 2: one game, what does that do? That's a gentleman's sweep.
[21:57] Speaker 2: But what does that do, though? It showed that you
[21:59] Speaker 2: fought to win one game. No, it don't show shit.
[22:01] Speaker 2: It showed that you lost a series.
[22:03] Speaker 6: It showed that Oklahoma City moves on no matter if
[22:06] Speaker 6: you won one game or three games in a series.
[22:09] Speaker 2: It does not matter at this point.
[22:11] Speaker 5: I agree because you lost your loss. So let's just
[22:13] Speaker 5: talk about the loss.
[22:14] Speaker 2: Yeah, they lost, right? They got swept.
[22:17] Speaker 3: During the season, they were losing by 30, right?
[22:19] Speaker 2: They were getting smacked. Right, and then on the average of?
[22:22] Speaker 4: 29. It was 29.
[22:23] Speaker 2: It was very high.
[22:25] Speaker 3: Oh, still very high?
[22:26] Speaker 2: No, I'm saying it was very high in the regular season.
[22:28] Speaker 3: And then the playoffs.
[22:29] Speaker 1: The first three games were by like 19 plus points
[22:31] Speaker 1: and then obviously this game.
[22:33] Speaker 2: So we're commending the fight, right?
[22:36] Speaker 4: Fuck yeah.
[22:38] Speaker 6: I'm just saying the team better than them. That's what
[22:40] Speaker 6: I'm saying. I'm saying Oklahoma City better than them. This
[22:42] Speaker 6: ain't got nothing to do with the Lakers. What I'm
[22:44] Speaker 6: saying has nothing to do with the Lakers. Oklahoma City
[22:47] Speaker 6: better than them. I don't care if they were full
[22:49] Speaker 6: strength or not. Oklahoma City Thunder are a better basketball
[22:53] Speaker 6: team from top to bottom. I didn't think the Los
[22:56] Speaker 6: Angeles Lakers had a chance. Whether they won one game, two.
[23:00] Speaker 6: If this shit could have won seven, Oklahoma City was
[23:02] Speaker 6: going to win this series.
[23:04] Speaker 2: No matter what. It's just they are a better team.
[23:07] Speaker 2: That's it.
[23:08] Speaker 6: What I saw for the four games that I watched
[23:10] Speaker 6: them play, they are a better team. And there was
[23:14] Speaker 6: nothing LeBron could have done. He could have had one
[23:16] Speaker 6: of them series they had against the Golden State Warriors in.
[23:18] Speaker 2: The finals, averaging 35-9-9.
[23:20] Speaker 6: And he still would have got fucking swept against this team.
[23:25] Speaker 4: Still got swept.
[23:26] Speaker 6: That's what I saw them playing. Too deep defensively. They
[23:31] Speaker 6: don't stop. Relentless pressure.
[23:34] Speaker 2: They got multiple shooters on the floor.
[23:36] Speaker 6: The bigs play hard. It's a recipe for winning, especially
[23:41] Speaker 6: against that team that's winning.
[23:42] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[23:44] Speaker 6: That team that's limited, you got two guys who can
[23:48] Speaker 6: go get their own shot. The rest of them dudes,
[23:52] Speaker 6: you got Bron and AR. And AR ain't all the
[23:54] Speaker 6: way healthy, but he can go get his own shot
[23:56] Speaker 6: in Bron. The rest of them dudes can't. And that's
[23:58] Speaker 6: the way them dudes defend.
[24:01] Speaker 2: Thunder a pretty good team. You know what I'm saying?
[24:03] Speaker 2: But the way they defend as a unit. Yeah.
[24:07] Speaker 6: Like, I'm watching them run pick and rolls, and they
[24:10] Speaker 6: trying to get certain people to pick and rolls, and
[24:11] Speaker 6: you trying to get Lou Dort off of people to
[24:13] Speaker 6: put an Alex Caruso on you. That ain't, you trying
[24:16] Speaker 6: to get Wiggins off of you to put, no, that
[24:18] Speaker 6: ain't helping you. Like, even Shea compete, like, you trying
[24:21] Speaker 6: to run a pick and roll to get Shea, like,
[24:23] Speaker 6: that's not, he is going to compete on the ball, man. So,
[24:26] Speaker 6: the Lakers don't have enough playmakers in this series in
[24:28] Speaker 6: order to do nothing. That's just what it was, man.
[24:30] Speaker 5: So, you said they had A.R. and LeBron, and then
[24:33] Speaker 5: OKC just had Shea.
[24:35] Speaker 2: No, they don't. They have nine teams. They have nine teams.
[24:40] Speaker 2: That do what they do? They capable?
[24:43] Speaker 3: Yeah, they play both ends.
[24:44] Speaker 2: So what did A.J. Mitchell do?
[24:45] Speaker 3: I mean, no, no, yes, no, yes.
[24:47] Speaker 2: So what did A.J. Mitchell do? No, yes, they play
[24:48] Speaker 2: both ends. Hold on. They play both ends.
[24:51] Speaker 3: They play both ends.
[24:51] Speaker 6: Guess who didn't play in the first round? McCain didn't
[24:54] Speaker 6: play in the first round. He came out and he
[24:57] Speaker 6: was ready. Came out and that motherfucker did what he
[24:59] Speaker 6: had to do. With painted fingernails. And after smiling and
[25:03] Speaker 6: kicking y'all ass at the same time with them painted nails.
[25:05] Speaker 1: I'm just saying. That's what makes it even worse. Shay
[25:09] Speaker 1: is the leader of it, right? Yes, absolutely.
[25:12] Speaker 6: But those dudes, the way they've scouted them, the way they've... A.J.
[25:17] Speaker 6: Mitchell went to UC Santa Barbara, right? A fine school.
[25:21] Speaker 2: Finding gyms. Santa Clara.
[25:24] Speaker 5: OKC didn't do nothing special to prove that the Lakers
[25:28] Speaker 5: could not have competed and won two games.
[25:31] Speaker 2: They didn't, though. And win three games. They didn't.
[25:34] Speaker 5: Because they didn't execute. Because they didn't do basketball shit.
[25:38] Speaker 5: Because they're not a good coach team. So why didn't
[25:40] Speaker 5: they execute? Because they're not a good coach team.
[25:42] Speaker 2: So did Oklahoma City have anything to do with that?
[25:45] Speaker 5: I don't think so. I don't think so.
[25:47] Speaker 2: I watched it.
[25:48] Speaker 5: They lost by five last night. They had 19 turnovers.
[25:50] Speaker 5: They had 19 turnovers in the game.
[25:53] Speaker 2: They lost by 30. I mean, 23.
[25:55] Speaker 6: They had 19 turnovers in that game.
[25:57] Speaker 2: They had 19 turnovers in the game. They lost by 18.
[25:59] Speaker 2: They had 19 turnovers in the game. One 19 turnovers
[26:01] Speaker 2: in the game.
[26:02] Speaker 3: Austin Reeves had eight turnovers. That's where it was.
[26:04] Speaker 4: Whatever offense they was running wasn't working. Are they playing 5-0?
[26:12] Speaker 2: Are the Lakers playing 5-0? What does that have to
[26:14] Speaker 2: do with anything? Are they playing 5-0? Marcus Smart? No,
[26:17] Speaker 2: they're not. So, are they playing 5-0-5?
[26:19] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[26:20] Speaker 2: So, when they're on offense, is the other team playing
[26:22] Speaker 2: offense as well? Mm-mm. Are they playing defense or are
[26:25] Speaker 2: they playing offense?
[26:26] Speaker 6: Mm-mm.
[26:26] Speaker 2: So, I think, yeah.
[26:27] Speaker 4: So, okay, cool.
[26:28] Speaker 2: I don't think that has anything to do with them
[26:29] Speaker 2: stopping anything.
[26:30] Speaker 4: Was that the only team that stopped shape from getting 20, though?
[26:33] Speaker 2: Huh? So, hold on. So, everybody executes their offense.
[26:35] Speaker 4: They stopped shape from getting 20. There's a hundred and
[26:37] Speaker 4: something games, right?
[26:38] Speaker 2: Say it again.
[26:39] Speaker 4: Stopped shape from getting 20. Plus, he's been doing that
[26:43] Speaker 4: for a hundred.
[26:45] Speaker 2: And something games.
[26:46] Speaker 3: Average 19 turnover per game. So that's how good his
[26:49] Speaker 3: team is. The fact that they can shut him down.
[26:52] Speaker 3: He got nine other motherfuckers that can get going.
[26:53] Speaker 2: What are we talking about?
[26:55] Speaker 5: It shows that you keep collapsing in the fourth quarter
[27:00] Speaker 5: when the game is close. The game has been close
[27:03] Speaker 5: with the Lakers and they lost in the fourth quarter.
[27:06] Speaker 2: They could not put it together. Them games were lost
[27:09] Speaker 2: in the third quarter, y'all. They could not put it together.
[27:11] Speaker 1: First three, third quarter, Lakers fought diligently until about midway.
[27:14] Speaker 2: In third quarter. The games were lost in the third quarter.
[27:16] Speaker 5: Fourth quarter, you have a chance to come back, make
[27:19] Speaker 5: a run, show some fucking backbone.
[27:21] Speaker 2: No, they did not. That's the point. Why?
[27:23] Speaker 3: They didn't do that last night?
[27:24] Speaker 2: Because they don't have it. They don't have backbone.
[27:26] Speaker 3: The Lakers didn't do that last night. Wasn't it back
[27:28] Speaker 3: and forth?
[27:28] Speaker 2: They had a back and forth, y'all. Listen, y'all want to...
[27:31] Speaker 2: They got a better team, y'all. I don't... Listen, whatever...
[27:34] Speaker 2: Oklahoma City had a better team, man. Just what it is.
[27:37] Speaker 2: Sometimes a better team can lose. But they didn't.
[27:41] Speaker 4: Yeah, they didn't.
[27:41] Speaker 5: They got swept because they was bad coach.
[27:44] Speaker 2: They did not. The coach did not have them ready
[27:46] Speaker 2: to play.
[27:46] Speaker 4: Cool.
[27:47] Speaker 2: Period.
[27:48] Speaker 4: Yeah. Period.
[27:50] Speaker 2: That showed.
[27:51] Speaker 5: There's a lot of people out there analyzing the game,
[27:53] Speaker 5: seeing the breakdowns of what the fuck is going on.
[27:56] Speaker 3: Why are you not rotating here?
[27:59] Speaker 2: Why are you not getting rebounds? That's all safe for
[28:02] Speaker 2: the first time. So that's on the coach? Substitution.
[28:03] Speaker 5: They wasn't struggling that last game. I'm starting Jackson Hayes.
[28:12] Speaker 5: I'm starting Jackson Hayes. Energy, effort, rebound. And he's blocking shots.
[28:18] Speaker 2: He did a lot of shit.
[28:21] Speaker 5: Or I try to play them together. Play them together.
[28:24] Speaker 5: Match what's out there. They got two bigs playing together.
[28:27] Speaker 5: Two seven-footers.
[28:30] Speaker 2: Match it. Where's the matchup? One of them plays on
[28:33] Speaker 2: the perimeter.
[28:34] Speaker 3: That can't score.
[28:35] Speaker 2: And both of your guys can't score and can't shoot.
[28:38] Speaker 3: So they just.
[28:39] Speaker 6: Now you're playing three on five defensively.
[28:42] Speaker 2: Now you're playing three on five on the other end.
[28:45] Speaker 5: Arkansas gets offensive rebounds and gives them second chance points.
[28:49] Speaker 2: To shoot threes. We need to box out.
[28:52] Speaker 5: So we need two bigs out there to box him
[28:54] Speaker 5: out so we can get the rebound and go down and.
[28:57] Speaker 2: Execute our offense. Two bigs on one? What do you
[29:00] Speaker 2: mean two bigs? There's two bigs out there.
[29:02] Speaker 6: You just said you need to put two bigs on
[29:04] Speaker 6: there to stop Hardenstein.
[29:05] Speaker 2: From offering rebounds. And Chet. There's two bigs. Chet.
[29:09] Speaker 3: They all rebelled.
[29:09] Speaker 2: Chet play on the perimeter. Chet plays down there, too.
[29:12] Speaker 2: He goes against the boards. Plays on the perimeter. Defensively,
[29:16] Speaker 2: he does.
[29:16] Speaker 3: Regardless.
[29:17] Speaker 2: Regardless. You need two bigs.
[29:19] Speaker 6: That man averaged his career high this year with nine
[29:21] Speaker 6: rebounds this year. So he ain't the most offensive rebound
[29:24] Speaker 6: in this person there could possibly be.
[29:26] Speaker 5: But he's a lob threat. He's a rim threat. You
[29:29] Speaker 5: need somebody down there to match him.
[29:30] Speaker 4: How can a coach effort, though? That's not on a
[29:35] Speaker 4: coach to tell you. I'm pretty sure J.J. Redick told
[29:39] Speaker 4: him to play with some effort. Rebound.
[29:41] Speaker 2: He didn't have to. It's the playoffs.
[29:44] Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. So how can you coach that?
[29:47] Speaker 4: You'll sub for somebody else to bring in and not
[29:49] Speaker 4: rebound either? Then where else can you keep going? How
[29:52] Speaker 4: many times can you keep subbing as a coach?
[29:54] Speaker 2: Very thin bench.
[29:56] Speaker 4: That's what we're saying. Oh, my God. But they don't
[29:58] Speaker 4: have that many options.
[29:59] Speaker 2: Right, exactly.
[30:00] Speaker 4: Some people do that.
[30:02] Speaker 1: So we'll talk more Lakers in a second, but let's
[30:04] Speaker 1: at least salute the Thunder on what they've been able
[30:05] Speaker 1: to accomplish.
[30:06] Speaker 2: During this conversation, that's the thing. Periodically. The thing we've been.
[30:11] Speaker 6: Hammering home in this conversation is that the Oklahoma City
[30:14] Speaker 6: are really good.
[30:16] Speaker 2: 8-0 this postseason. Nine straight playoff wins.
[30:20] Speaker 1: I think 17 points scoring margin through those first eight
[30:23] Speaker 1: games shooting 51% from the field. No other team in
[30:26] Speaker 1: NBA history done that through their first eight games in
[30:28] Speaker 1: a playoff run. The last team to do that in
[30:30] Speaker 1: any eight game stretch in the playoff run was 2017 Warriors.
[30:34] Speaker 1: When you're looking at this team, they're getting close to
[30:37] Speaker 1: being in that conversation just with the stress they've had
[30:40] Speaker 1: in the last two seasons.
[30:41] Speaker 2: Back-to-back MVP.
[30:42] Speaker 4: Wow.
[30:44] Speaker 1: Obviously, you got to wait to see what happens with
[30:45] Speaker 1: the Spurs and Wolves series in the Western Conference Finals.
[30:47] Speaker 6: But they get through that. Yeah, it's going to be tough.
[30:51] Speaker 6: They still got confidence, man. The biggest thing that's going
[30:54] Speaker 6: against them right now is the time off. The biggest
[30:59] Speaker 6: deficit that they're facing now is this time off.
[31:02] Speaker 2: You think it's a bad thing?
[31:04] Speaker 6: It's good for J. Williams, like for J. Dub to
[31:07] Speaker 6: try to get healthy. That's the good thing. They don't
[31:09] Speaker 6: have to play games and risk Nobody else is getting hurt,
[31:12] Speaker 6: and losing nobody else right now is a good thing. But, yeah,
[31:15] Speaker 6: like Shea said, the rust was real before the series.
[31:19] Speaker 6: You're just constantly days off, days off. You don't want
[31:23] Speaker 6: to do what Kevin Durant did, right? Go out and
[31:27] Speaker 6: bump knees in practice, and now your fucking star is out,
[31:29] Speaker 6: so now you got to try to monitor and manage
[31:31] Speaker 6: that part of it. So, yeah, it's tough, right? When
[31:35] Speaker 6: you got games to prepare for and all that, that's easy, right?
[31:39] Speaker 6: Day in between the game, travel. Those things are easy,
[31:42] Speaker 6: but idle mind, idle time, trying to figure out this.
[31:45] Speaker 6: You don't know who you're going to play yet. How
[31:47] Speaker 6: do I keep my guys sharp? How do we stay
[31:49] Speaker 6: in basketball shape? There's a lot of things that's going
[31:52] Speaker 6: on with this.
[31:53] Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? But they are.
[31:55] Speaker 6: They have a goal, and I don't think it's going
[31:57] Speaker 6: to deter them. But in my opinion, the biggest thing
[32:00] Speaker 6: they're facing now is the time off.
[32:03] Speaker 2: They're a good team, though. Well coached. He takes timely
[32:06] Speaker 2: timeouts when he needs them. Yeah, they don't get rattled, man.
[32:10] Speaker 3: They just.
[32:11] Speaker 6: And I think it starts with him. Like, I think
[32:12] Speaker 6: it starts with Mike Dagnall. I think it just starts
[32:15] Speaker 6: at the top, man.
[32:16] Speaker 2: And you got all those guys.
[32:17] Speaker 1: You add a Jared McCain type, who obviously the Sixers
[32:20] Speaker 1: thought they sold high on him and trained him. Gave
[32:22] Speaker 1: him away for basically nothing. But McCain very big in
[32:25] Speaker 1: this series, hitting big shots.
[32:27] Speaker 2: It's an offensive offense, man. Just another, yeah. You know,
[32:30] Speaker 2: shout out to the Oklahoma City Thunder. And he plays
[32:32] Speaker 2: with confidence.
[32:32] Speaker 4: Man.
[32:33] Speaker 2: Yeah, nah, man.
[32:34] Speaker 6: He just ain't got nothing. Listen, like I said, the
[32:39] Speaker 6: legs were collateral damage, man.
[32:41] Speaker 3: I think they'd be fine with the time off. Because
[32:43] Speaker 3: that Spurs and Wolves series, they're going to beat each
[32:46] Speaker 3: other up. So I think whoever come out of that series,
[32:49] Speaker 3: they're going to be so beat up to where... And
[32:51] Speaker 3: they got to turn around and fight right away. And
[32:53] Speaker 3: then if it's the Spurs, I just don't think the
[32:55] Speaker 3: Spurs are mature enough, especially with Wimby doing that dumb shit.
[32:59] Speaker 3: I just feel like there's something right there with him where...
[33:02] Speaker 3: Get him frustrated. Just get him frustrated.
[33:04] Speaker 2: We were going to talk Spurs.
[33:06] Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, yeah, it's... Trust me.
[33:11] Speaker 2: Let's shift back to the Lakers briefly. Yeah, because shout
[33:14] Speaker 2: out to the Lakers. Get back to the Lakers.
[33:16] Speaker 1: So LeBron met with the media for the final time
[33:19] Speaker 1: this season. What could be the final time in his career?
[33:21] Speaker 1: LeBron avoided directly answering questions about his future in the
[33:24] Speaker 1: league and what the Lakers have both remained uncertain. But
[33:27] Speaker 1: he did reflect on year 23 and adjusting to a
[33:29] Speaker 1: new role for the first time in his career.
[33:32] Speaker 7: Obviously, we fell a little short, obviously. But, I mean,
[33:35] Speaker 7: I'm not looking at my year.
[33:38] Speaker 3: As a disappointment.
[33:39] Speaker 2: That's for damn sure. especially I mean under I mean
[33:44] Speaker 2: I was put into some.
[33:45] Speaker 8: Positions I've never played in my career before actually in
[33:49] Speaker 8: my life I've never been a third option in my
[33:52] Speaker 8: life so to be able to you.
[33:56] Speaker 2: Know thrive in that role for that period of.
[33:59] Speaker 7: Time and then have to step back into the role
[34:03] Speaker 7: that I've been accustomed with over my career over my
[34:07] Speaker 7: life playing a sport and be able to thrive under
[34:09] Speaker 7: that and then just My teammates allowing me to lead
[34:12] Speaker 7: them under extreme circumstances, that was pretty cool for me
[34:17] Speaker 7: at this stage.
[34:19] Speaker 4: In my career.
[34:21] Speaker 1: Brown averaged 21 seven assists, six rebounds in 60 regular
[34:24] Speaker 1: season games, shooting 52% from the field. Numbers bumped up
[34:28] Speaker 1: to 23 points per game, seven assists, seven rebounds in
[34:31] Speaker 1: 10 postseason games in the playoffs. Helping the Lakers advance
[34:35] Speaker 1: in the second round after back-to-back first round exits in
[34:38] Speaker 1: 2024 and 2025.
[34:40] Speaker 2: So, Mr. B, we'll start with you.
[34:41] Speaker 1: Just looking at what LeBron was able to accomplish this season,
[34:44] Speaker 1: year 23, 41 years old, obviously not the way that
[34:47] Speaker 1: anybody wanted it to go on the Lakers side, especially LeBron,
[34:50] Speaker 1: but how would you grade LeBron in year 23?
[34:54] Speaker 2: A-plus.
[34:56] Speaker 3: I mean, 41 years old, still averaging over 20 points
[34:59] Speaker 3: a night, still doing it at a high level. I mean, yeah,
[35:02] Speaker 3: you ran into OKC, which was a team that was
[35:04] Speaker 3: better than you, but I've never seen anybody at the
[35:07] Speaker 3: age of 21 do what he's done. So for me,
[35:09] Speaker 3: what my eyes have seen, I think it's an A-plus.
[35:13] Speaker 3: You know, just to keep being able to keep going
[35:16] Speaker 3: and fight through different things that happened this year. Like
[35:18] Speaker 3: you said, you've never been a third option. You had
[35:21] Speaker 3: to play a different role, came back to the first.
[35:23] Speaker 3: So most guys at that age get stuck in their ways.
[35:27] Speaker 3: And you still figured it out, and you still had
[35:30] Speaker 3: some success with it this year.
[35:32] Speaker 1: Swaggy, how would you grade LeBron in this 23rd season
[35:35] Speaker 1: in the National Basketball Association?
[35:37] Speaker 4: I'll say the same. rollercoaster year for him. Nobody expected
[35:44] Speaker 4: some of these things with injuries happening to him. Um,
[35:49] Speaker 4: for me, what he doing at this age and with
[35:54] Speaker 4: the criticism and everything else he got to deal with
[35:57] Speaker 4: off the court, it's surprising to see him still go
[36:00] Speaker 4: out there and play with this amount of confidence and
[36:03] Speaker 4: still go out there and get it done. And, um,
[36:08] Speaker 4: make his teammates better, too. I feel like Luke Kennard
[36:13] Speaker 4: and Marcus Smart, we wouldn't have seen that. I think
[36:17] Speaker 4: this would have been like some of these guys last year,
[36:20] Speaker 4: and I feel like they was able to get contracts
[36:23] Speaker 4: off this playoff run for them.
[36:27] Speaker 3: Also, he did it without, you know, he was out
[36:29] Speaker 3: without Luka, too, in the playoffs, too.
[36:31] Speaker 2: I remember that. And AR.
[36:32] Speaker 1: No Luka, don't you, for the postseason? But can't let
[36:35] Speaker 1: you decide looking at LeBron this season. Read off the stats,
[36:38] Speaker 1: obviously got swept, but how would you grade LeBron year
[36:41] Speaker 1: 23 in the NBA?
[36:42] Speaker 2: No, that's a gold.
[36:46] Speaker 6: I'm going to go back to the elementary thing they
[36:49] Speaker 6: used to give you. It's a gold star, right? We
[36:54] Speaker 6: ain't seen it. No one playing at this age.
[36:59] Speaker 2: At that level.
[37:02] Speaker 6: The way the season got off started, injury, this, that,
[37:05] Speaker 6: and the third. I'm pretty sure he didn't know how
[37:07] Speaker 6: the season was going to go. To be a third option,
[37:12] Speaker 6: to be asked to play a different role in order
[37:15] Speaker 6: for betterment of the team, I think is crucial for
[37:23] Speaker 6: the locker room, right? For guys to realize what sacrifice
[37:25] Speaker 6: is and what he's done throughout, right? His lead and
[37:33] Speaker 6: to be asked to do something different. Yeah, I'm pretty
[37:37] Speaker 6: sure that took some looking in the mirror, right? When
[37:40] Speaker 6: you've been doing it a certain way for 22 years
[37:42] Speaker 6: and somebody come in and ask you to change that,
[37:45] Speaker 6: to Brandon's point, guys get stuck in their ways, right?
[37:49] Speaker 6: When you're older, you're used to doing it a certain way,
[37:51] Speaker 6: you've had success doing it a certain way. Not everybody
[37:56] Speaker 6: is that willing to change under these circumstances. It's all
[38:02] Speaker 6: about going out and competing, and I think he did that.
[38:05] Speaker 6: He did that at a high level. No matter what,
[38:08] Speaker 6: nobody has to say. It was a success, right? And
[38:13] Speaker 6: he looked at it as a success. Ultimately, that's all
[38:17] Speaker 6: that matters is how he viewed his season. The rest
[38:21] Speaker 6: of us are flies on the wall and spectators with
[38:24] Speaker 6: an opinion. But, yeah, he viewed it as a success,
[38:29] Speaker 6: and I'm going to agree with him. You're 23 for
[38:33] Speaker 6: you to go out and do it this way And
[38:36] Speaker 6: still got something left in the tank. So that's the
[38:39] Speaker 6: beauty about it. He doesn't look like he's done. Yeah,
[38:42] Speaker 6: I'm going to give him a gold star, man. Because
[38:45] Speaker 6: there's other people that's done it in their 40s. And
[38:49] Speaker 6: you can tell the way they looked in their respective sports, right?
[38:53] Speaker 6: I think baseball is probably the more easier of the
[38:58] Speaker 6: sports to play in your 40s. Football is almost impossible
[39:02] Speaker 6: unless you play certain positions. This is the most taxing
[39:05] Speaker 6: that you can do at this age, in your 40s,
[39:08] Speaker 6: and I think he's doing it. Yeah, shout out to
[39:11] Speaker 6: LeBron James, man. Year 23.
[39:13] Speaker 1: Last but not least, Dr. McCants, Ph.D., Emeritus. You had
[39:21] Speaker 1: Gray LeBron's year 23 season. What grade are you giving
[39:23] Speaker 1: LeBron James?
[39:28] Speaker 2: Flowers.
[39:29] Speaker 5: Gotta give him flowers. He's done a lot for the league.
[39:33] Speaker 5: He's done a lot for the young fellas. But essentially
[39:37] Speaker 5: winning is a metric for me. So I'd give him
[39:42] Speaker 5: a C. I think I expect more from somebody that's
[39:49] Speaker 5: Chasing the goat. It's the highest standard you can be
[39:52] Speaker 5: compared to. So you have to outplay and outdo everybody
[39:58] Speaker 5: all the time. There's no rest. There's no excuses. There's
[40:01] Speaker 5: no lack of accountability. He did participate as a third option.
[40:11] Speaker 5: Come into the season late. There's a lot of ups
[40:15] Speaker 5: and downs with the team.
[40:16] Speaker 2: A lot of distractions.
[40:20] Speaker 5: With all that being said, he still was able to
[40:22] Speaker 5: take his team out of the first round, which I
[40:24] Speaker 5: said was impressive. You've got to give credit where credit
[40:29] Speaker 5: is due. Essentially, coming up short, you don't get credit
[40:33] Speaker 5: for coming up short. You don't get credit for getting swept.
[40:37] Speaker 5: It's a couple notches down on that. He's NBA royalty.
[40:43] Speaker 5: You talk about longevity. You talk about stats, accomplishments. You
[40:48] Speaker 5: talk about What he does off the court, how he
[40:51] Speaker 5: presents himself. I just seen his son at the little
[40:55] Speaker 5: golf course yesterday. He's a good family man. He's raised
[41:01] Speaker 5: some prestigious young kids. You can't take nothing away from him.
[41:06] Speaker 5: But we talking who? He get a C. The metric
[41:11] Speaker 5: is winning. And Kobe didn't get no A. Mike ain't
[41:14] Speaker 5: get no A. Tim Duncan ain't get no A. Kevin Garnett,
[41:17] Speaker 5: none of them got A's just because participating and being
[41:20] Speaker 5: there because they were older. You don't get it done,
[41:25] Speaker 5: you don't get it done. A lot of those guys
[41:27] Speaker 5: on their last legs in the last seasons, they didn't
[41:29] Speaker 5: get it done.
[41:30] Speaker 2: It don't count.
[41:30] Speaker 5: It counts against you. And that's usually the metric when
[41:35] Speaker 5: you want to be the best of the best.
[41:37] Speaker 4: What did you give him? Who? Like Jordan on the Wizards.
[41:42] Speaker 4: What grade would you give him? C. So the same?
[41:44] Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
[41:46] Speaker 4: So what they doing at that age.
[41:48] Speaker 2: Is the same?
[41:50] Speaker 5: Who's doing it? Jordan LeBron. So you gave him a C.
[41:55] Speaker 5: You didn't get it done.
[41:56] Speaker 2: Okay. Didn't get it done. Didn't get it done.
[42:00] Speaker 5: You're still playing. Still playing for something. And you're getting
[42:04] Speaker 5: paid $ 50 million to play the third option. There's an
[42:09] Speaker 5: expectation for that.
[42:11] Speaker 2: He getting paid what?
[42:12] Speaker 4: $ 50 million.
[42:14] Speaker 1: No.
[42:15] Speaker 2: When he was getting paid $ 50, he was the number
[42:16] Speaker 2: one option. What is he getting paid this year? It
[42:20] Speaker 2: was part of his contract already. He already was under contract.
[42:23] Speaker 2: He didn't sign a new deal. He not getting $ 50
[42:26] Speaker 2: million right now?
[42:26] Speaker 6: But he was the number one option when he signed that.
[42:30] Speaker 6: So he wasn't a third option when he signed the deal.
[42:34] Speaker 2: 53 million.
[42:35] Speaker 6: So he was the number one option when he signed
[42:37] Speaker 6: that deal. He was the number one option.
[42:39] Speaker 2: So that means that I'm getting 53 million. I do
[42:42] Speaker 2: not mind. I was the number one option. I do
[42:43] Speaker 2: not mind moving to the third option. I'm pretty sure
[42:46] Speaker 2: you did. My check doesn't change. I'm pretty sure you did, man.
[42:49] Speaker 3: I'm sure he was fucking trying.
[42:50] Speaker 6: After doing it for 22 years, I'm pretty sure that
[42:53] Speaker 6: was a look in the mirror conversation that was difficult.
[42:56] Speaker 2: Oh, really? Absolutely. Absolutely difficult for him.
[43:00] Speaker 3: 22 years and I'm the number one.
[43:01] Speaker 5: How difficult is it? What do you get out of that?
[43:06] Speaker 2: What do you mean?
[43:07] Speaker 5: Do you win to combat that? That talk in the mirror?
[43:11] Speaker 2: What do you mean?
[43:12] Speaker 5: You have to talk to yourself in the mirror and say,
[43:14] Speaker 5: I got to move to the third option. We're going
[43:16] Speaker 5: to win, so this benefits my decision to move to
[43:18] Speaker 5: the third option.
[43:19] Speaker 6: When Luke was out there, yes, and they are out there,
[43:21] Speaker 6: it was beneficial for him to become the third option, yes.
[43:25] Speaker 5: Now he went back to the number one option. What
[43:27] Speaker 5: was that talk in the mirror then?
[43:29] Speaker 2: What is that conversation? Why is that conversation needed?
[43:33] Speaker 6: Because you're now going back. I've been in this role
[43:39] Speaker 6: for 22 years as a number one option. What conversation
[43:44] Speaker 6: is needed for me to go back to my original state?
[43:47] Speaker 2: I have an expectation to win. But what is the change, though?
[43:51] Speaker 2: We have to win. I'm number one now. What conversation
[43:53] Speaker 2: needs to be had?
[43:55] Speaker 5: I have to now win because I'm moving out.
[43:59] Speaker 3: Of this third.
[43:59] Speaker 2: There's no conversation that needs to be had.
[44:01] Speaker 3: There's no conversation that needs to be had. Okay. The
[44:03] Speaker 3: conversation was had because I had to do something that.
[44:06] Speaker 2: I was done before. I had to look within.
[44:09] Speaker 3: In myself and then realize, oh, shit, it's not about me.
[44:12] Speaker 4: I'm 41.
[44:12] Speaker 3: Hold on. We do got some other guys out here.
[44:15] Speaker 2: Boom.
[44:15] Speaker 3: Now I got to be the third option. But I'll
[44:17] Speaker 3: need to have a conversation with myself to go back
[44:19] Speaker 3: to number one again when I know that.
[44:20] Speaker 2: Because now it's about me.
[44:21] Speaker 4: No, it's still about my guys.
[44:23] Speaker 3: It's put on me because the guys are out.
[44:25] Speaker 4: And it's, yeah, why am I the number one option
[44:28] Speaker 4: now too?
[44:29] Speaker 2: Because I'm LeBron James. No.
[44:31] Speaker 3: I'm the number one option because our number one guy
[44:32] Speaker 3: is out. Because our number one option is hurt.
[44:34] Speaker 2: Number two option is hurt. That's why. So when Austin
[44:38] Speaker 2: Reeves came back, he was the number one option? He tried.
[44:43] Speaker 5: No?
[44:44] Speaker 2: No. Okay. He came back there. LeBron James.
[44:48] Speaker 4: He came back early.
[44:49] Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck when he came back.
[44:51] Speaker 5: Austin Reeves came back. Austin Reeves was not the number
[44:54] Speaker 5: one option when he was playing with LeBron his last
[44:55] Speaker 5: three games. When Austin Reeves came back, LeBron James was
[44:58] Speaker 5: still the number one option.
[44:59] Speaker 2: Yes.
[45:00] Speaker 3: To me.
[45:00] Speaker 1: Yes.
[45:01] Speaker 3: It's just that when Luka come back, LeBron understands, okay,
[45:03] Speaker 3: now I can go back to the third because the second,
[45:06] Speaker 3: I need Austin Reeves to be the second option.
[45:09] Speaker 4: Huh.
[45:10] Speaker 3: But if Luka's out, I can take, I mean, it's
[45:12] Speaker 3: just what it is.
[45:13] Speaker 2: I can be me.
[45:16] Speaker 3: I'm still going to be me regardless. At the end
[45:18] Speaker 3: of the day, LeBron's going to be him regardless.
[45:21] Speaker 2: That's the thing.
[45:21] Speaker 4: Okay. All right.
[45:25] Speaker 3: I mean, still averaging over 20 points a night and
[45:27] Speaker 3: averaging 70. 23 in the postseason.
[45:30] Speaker 4: Like your role changed.
[45:33] Speaker 3: Your role changed, but I'm still effective in the role.
[45:36] Speaker 2: I'm just.
[45:36] Speaker 5: Was it impressive for Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and all
[45:40] Speaker 5: these other guys?
[45:40] Speaker 4: Carmelo said, you heard him, P? They want me to
[45:42] Speaker 4: come off the bench.
[45:43] Speaker 2: Did none of them play at 41?
[45:44] Speaker 4: You heard him, P?
[45:45] Speaker 2: Oh, it's the age thing. So did none of them
[45:46] Speaker 2: play at 41?
[45:47] Speaker 4: You heard him.
[45:47] Speaker 2: They want me to come off the bench. All right. So.
[45:50] Speaker 2: It's the age thing. Now you're comparing him to some
[45:52] Speaker 2: other people for what? Because they had to do it too. No,
[45:55] Speaker 2: they didn't. They didn't have to do what he did.
[45:57] Speaker 2: had to move to different options. No, they did.
[45:59] Speaker 3: Different teams. No, they did, yes.
[46:01] Speaker 6: On different teams. They didn't ask Melo to come. They
[46:04] Speaker 6: didn't bring two guys in New York. Nixon asked Melo
[46:07] Speaker 6: to be the third option.
[46:09] Speaker 2: Did they? No.
[46:10] Speaker 6: They didn't bring three guys in Oklahoma City and ask
[46:13] Speaker 6: Russell Westbrook to be the third option, did they?
[46:15] Speaker 3: No.
[46:15] Speaker 2: So what's your point?
[46:18] Speaker 5: I guess I don't have a point.
[46:21] Speaker 3: What's your point?
[46:23] Speaker 2: I guess I don't have a point. No, you don't.
[46:26] Speaker 6: Because you brought two guys up that wasn't asked to do.
[46:28] Speaker 3: The same thing.
[46:29] Speaker 2: You just trying to bring up shit to make the
[46:31] Speaker 2: dude look bad. I'm not making him look bad.
[46:34] Speaker 3: I'm trying to make my point.
[46:35] Speaker 2: The key word is you're trying to. You moved to
[46:38] Speaker 2: the third option.
[46:39] Speaker 6: You're trying to bring guys into this conversation that doesn't fit.
[46:41] Speaker 2: Okay, let's say Tim Duncan then. That doesn't fit.
[46:43] Speaker 5: Tim Duncan moved to the third option. That's why I
[46:45] Speaker 5: said Jordan didn't make the playoffs. When were they asked
[46:48] Speaker 5: to move to the third option?
[46:49] Speaker 2: In his last days. When was Tim Duncan asked to
[46:51] Speaker 2: move to the third option? His last year. Who did
[46:54] Speaker 2: they bring in?
[46:55] Speaker 4: Kawhi Leonard.
[46:56] Speaker 2: They didn't have to bring in anybody.
[46:57] Speaker 6: Kawhi Leonard was there. Was Tim Duncan the third option then?
[47:00] Speaker 6: When Kawhi was there?
[47:00] Speaker 2: No.
[47:01] Speaker 4: No.
[47:01] Speaker 2: What was he? He was the second option still.
[47:05] Speaker 4: Kawhi was like the fourth option when he came in.
[47:10] Speaker 2: Then he turned into the what?
[47:11] Speaker 4: Then he turned into the Duncan.
[47:15] Speaker 3: Wait, you said when they beat the Miami Heat in
[47:17] Speaker 3: the finals. Or just that whole year, you said Kawhi
[47:20] Speaker 3: Leonard was not the number one option?
[47:22] Speaker 4: No, he wasn't.
[47:23] Speaker 2: Okay.
[47:24] Speaker 3: No, no, I just didn't know.
[47:25] Speaker 2: Who was?
[47:25] Speaker 3: They said Tim Duncan.
[47:27] Speaker 4: Okay. Who was younger? Was it Parker?
[47:32] Speaker 2: No, younger than who?
[47:33] Speaker 4: Then Duncan.
[47:33] Speaker 2: Yeah. Tony Parker was younger. Manu Ginobili was younger.
[47:37] Speaker 6: But at no point- We got to look that up.
[47:38] Speaker 6: When doing Manu Ginobili's tenure and Tony Parker's.
[47:42] Speaker 3: Tenure- You can't look that up.
[47:44] Speaker 4: Nobody came in.
[47:45] Speaker 2: Came in that motherfucker was like, hey, big fella. Hey, 21.
[47:47] Speaker 2: Hold on. Hey, we need you to take third seat.
[47:51] Speaker 4: Look, Kawhi. Hold on. Kawhi was averaging 10 points, man.
[47:54] Speaker 2: Oh. Yeah. Hey, big fella, we need you to sit
[47:56] Speaker 2: in the back.
[47:57] Speaker 3: That year they beat Braun.
[47:58] Speaker 4: It was like English dollar.
[48:00] Speaker 2: No, no, no. 2014. 2014 Spurs you're talking about?
[48:03] Speaker 3: Yeah, right when they beat Braun. Yeah. What was their stats?
[48:08] Speaker 3: Who was the leading scorer?
[48:09] Speaker 1: Tony Parker averaged 17 points per game that season. I think,
[48:12] Speaker 1: hold on, let me express it right here. Yeah, Tim
[48:13] Speaker 1: Duncan averaged 15. Kawhi averaged 13. Manu averaged 12.
[48:21] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[48:21] Speaker 2: Six players in double figures.
[48:22] Speaker 3: Yeah, they're right.
[48:24] Speaker 2: They're right.
[48:24] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[48:26] Speaker 2: What was right? Tim Duncan was number one option?
[48:28] Speaker 4: No.
[48:28] Speaker 3: No, Tim. I mean, no. Tony Barker was.
[48:30] Speaker 4: Oh.
[48:31] Speaker 2: I thought Tim Duncan was.
[48:32] Speaker 3: But I still, but.
[48:32] Speaker 2: I said he was the second option, didn't I? Yes.
[48:36] Speaker 2: I just said that.
[48:36] Speaker 6: Just because Tony Parker led them.
[48:39] Speaker 3: I think the offense ran. I think the offense ran
[48:41] Speaker 3: through Tim Duncan.
[48:42] Speaker 2: You're fucking right it did. The offense was set up
[48:45] Speaker 2: for Tim Duncan.
[48:45] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[48:46] Speaker 2: The offense still ran through Tim, though.
[48:48] Speaker 6: The offense was set up for Tim Duncan. Of course
[48:50] Speaker 6: it ran through Tim Duncan. Tony Parker averaged 17?
[48:53] Speaker 2: Yes.
[48:55] Speaker 1: All right, well, one last thing we got to talk
[48:56] Speaker 1: about before we move on to other playoff action. Dylan
[48:58] Speaker 1: Brooks is a repeated and habitual bear poker. Embracing his
[49:03] Speaker 1: role as the Joker to bronze Batman. So with the
[49:05] Speaker 1: Lakers down 3-0 and facing the brooms from the Thunder,
[49:08] Speaker 1: Brooks was in the building to do some more trolling.
[49:10] Speaker 2: Let's take a look at the video if we can, please.
[49:12] Speaker 1: So fresh off getting swept by the Thunder in the
[49:14] Speaker 1: first round, Brooks was spotted sitting courtside under the hoop
[49:17] Speaker 1: to watch LeBron and Lakers suffer the same.
[49:20] Speaker 2: Fate.
[49:20] Speaker 1: Cameras cut to Brooks early in the game as LeBron
[49:22] Speaker 1: was shooting a free throw.
[49:23] Speaker 2: Blinged out with the ice in his mouth.
[49:26] Speaker 1: But Brooks did have high praise for LeBron after the game.
[49:32] Speaker 1: I say as a competitor, what's your reaction to seeing
[49:35] Speaker 1: Dylan Brooks sitting courtside.
[49:38] Speaker 3: I really wish Dylan Brooks would have saw Bron earlier.
[49:42] Speaker 1: He said he watched him back in the day, got
[49:45] Speaker 1: to play against him.
[49:45] Speaker 3: But I'm just saying, because he's such a villain, and
[49:49] Speaker 3: the fact that he's like, you know, Bron is on
[49:50] Speaker 3: his way out. But I wish I would have been
[49:52] Speaker 3: able to see them when Bron was in his prime
[49:55] Speaker 3: a little bit, which would have been dangerous for him.
[49:58] Speaker 3: Which would have been dangerous for him. But I'm just saying,
[50:01] Speaker 3: I just like the villain of him coming to the game.
[50:03] Speaker 2: Elite trolling. You know. After Miami.
[50:08] Speaker 3: After Miami.
[50:09] Speaker 2: White meat.
[50:11] Speaker 3: After Miami.
[50:12] Speaker 2: No, no. After Miami, bro. Not Miami, bro. Not Miami, bro.
[50:18] Speaker 3: Like after a couple finals. You know what I'm saying?
[50:21] Speaker 3: Just a little bit. White meat.
[50:24] Speaker 2: Not Miami, bro.
[50:24] Speaker 3: I'm talking about when he got back to Cleveland a
[50:26] Speaker 3: little bit.
[50:27] Speaker 4: I've seen Deshaun Stevenson try to do that.
[50:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, that nigga that scored 25 straight against Detroit.
[50:32] Speaker 3: No, no, no, not that one, not that one. After
[50:35] Speaker 3: all that, after Miami, when he left Miami.
[50:38] Speaker 2: Because G. Mo Nelly.
[50:40] Speaker 6: No, but I just, so when I saw him at
[50:42] Speaker 6: the game, and when I saw the other day when
[50:45] Speaker 6: Jai and, was it Jaron Jackson was at the game
[50:48] Speaker 6: watching Orlando play?
[50:50] Speaker 2: I thought it then, I've.
[50:51] Speaker 6: Seen it before, other guys, I just like, it's just weird, man.
[50:57] Speaker 2: Like, to go to NBA games as an active NBA player?
[51:00] Speaker 2: To go watch? It's just....
[51:03] Speaker 1: I don't... I just couldn't imagine, right? To watch one
[51:06] Speaker 1: of your biggest haters get swept, though? The person you've...
[51:09] Speaker 1: I get it.
[51:09] Speaker 2: I know why he's there, but it's... I just think it's... Yeah,
[51:13] Speaker 2: I just.
[51:14] Speaker 4: But can you do that after you get swept, though?
[51:17] Speaker 2: What?
[51:18] Speaker 4: Like, Phoenix got swept, too. Oh, yeah.
[51:19] Speaker 2: You got to bring your ass over there with us, though.
[51:22] Speaker 2: He can. Because he been... He going to fuck with everybody.
[51:24] Speaker 2: I'm just... I just think it's like guys going to
[51:27] Speaker 2: NBA games.
[51:28] Speaker 4: I don't know.
[51:29] Speaker 1: Sean, what do you think about Dylan Brooks sitting courtside?
[51:33] Speaker 5: I remember seeing D-Wade sitting courtside in the finals, watching
[51:36] Speaker 5: Kobe beat the Celtics type shit.
[51:41] Speaker 2: Still weird. Some guys just like basketball. I love basketball, too.
[51:44] Speaker 2: I watch a lot of it.
[51:45] Speaker 3: What do you think is weird if you go to
[51:46] Speaker 3: the finals?
[51:47] Speaker 2: As an active NBA player.
[51:49] Speaker 3: To go watch?
[51:50] Speaker 2: To go watch it. Go sit in the stand. Go
[51:52] Speaker 2: sit and watch the game. Really?
[51:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's... Like during the finals and all that?
[51:57] Speaker 2: Like just to... As an active NBA player?
[52:00] Speaker 3: I mean, you just love the game.
[52:02] Speaker 2: I love the game as well. You love it from
[52:04] Speaker 2: the comfort.
[52:04] Speaker 3: Of your heart.
[52:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, like.
[52:06] Speaker 3: That's different, though.
[52:06] Speaker 4: I can watch it. I just love the game. I
[52:08] Speaker 4: don't know.
[52:09] Speaker 2: It's different.
[52:09] Speaker 3: I went to game seven and saw Bron beat the
[52:12] Speaker 3: 73 and nine.
[52:12] Speaker 2: We can't say that.
[52:13] Speaker 4: We need to say, oh, you're wearing other people's shoes
[52:15] Speaker 4: on the court. So that's like on the same level,
[52:18] Speaker 4: I feel like.
[52:19] Speaker 1: Oh, no.
[52:20] Speaker 2: What?
[52:20] Speaker 4: Yes. Like, if I wear somebody's shoes while I'm playing them,
[52:25] Speaker 4: they used to talk so much. Come on, man. This
[52:28] Speaker 4: is different.
[52:29] Speaker 3: I'm not rolling with that. Because, bro, if the Lakers
[52:32] Speaker 3: are in the finals and I'm an active and I'm
[52:35] Speaker 3: in the city, bro, I'm a star. I'm going to
[52:37] Speaker 3: go to the game. I want to see the game.
[52:38] Speaker 3: It's game seven. Why not get the feeling? Why not
[52:42] Speaker 3: get that feeling and see what it is?
[52:43] Speaker 2: It's just me.
[52:46] Speaker 4: I could see certain games.
[52:47] Speaker 2: I guess Nick too. I said it's just me. I
[52:49] Speaker 2: guess Nick. I just think.
[52:50] Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure there's some other guys that feel the
[52:53] Speaker 6: way that I do as well.
[52:54] Speaker 2: I'm going to the game. I'm just not pulling up.
[52:56] Speaker 4: I could see the finals in that.
[52:58] Speaker 3: So if you're active.
[52:59] Speaker 2: The finals game, I could see.
[53:00] Speaker 4: I could see.
[53:00] Speaker 6: That's all I'm asking. I could understand that move.
[53:03] Speaker 3: But just going to a game, like, come on. So
[53:05] Speaker 3: if you're an active player, right, and you've never been
[53:07] Speaker 3: to the playoffs. Well, I got to get there then.
[53:11] Speaker 3: So you wouldn't go to the– Okay, so save your head, coach.
[53:15] Speaker 4: I'm trying to visualize.
[53:16] Speaker 2: No, no, no. It don't matter. No, it don't even
[53:18] Speaker 2: have to be the finals. The finals is a different experience. No,
[53:20] Speaker 2: the playoffs in general. No, I'm not going to the
[53:22] Speaker 2: regular playoff game. No, the playoffs is a whole different.
[53:25] Speaker 3: The playoffs is a whole different level than the regular.
[53:27] Speaker 6: There's not no regular playoff game.
[53:29] Speaker 3: Bro, the regular season and the playoff game is two
[53:32] Speaker 3: different levels.
[53:32] Speaker 2: I'm going to watch these niggas hoop.
[53:34] Speaker 4: I'm going to get fit. I'm going to take my
[53:37] Speaker 4: work and all that.
[53:38] Speaker 2: Hell no, bro. What's the difference, though? There's no difference.
[53:42] Speaker 5: Because you're going to go to Cancun and watch the
[53:45] Speaker 5: shit anyway. Wherever you go, nigga, you still lost.
[53:48] Speaker 3: It don't matter.
[53:50] Speaker 2: It don't matter where you came to escape it. For me,
[53:52] Speaker 2: I can't do that.
[53:52] Speaker 3: If Scott Scouts told me my rookie year, yo, we
[53:55] Speaker 3: didn't make the playoffs. Yo, man, you want to go
[53:56] Speaker 3: to a second round Eastern Conference and watch? I'm going
[53:59] Speaker 3: to go with it. I'm going to go with my
[54:01] Speaker 3: coach to see it because he's getting me. First of all,
[54:03] Speaker 3: we're about to go watch and see it.
[54:05] Speaker 2: Huh? We'll get there.
[54:06] Speaker 3: We'll get there. How are you going to get there?
[54:09] Speaker 3: I mean, I mean, yeah, that's one thing, but feeling
[54:12] Speaker 3: it and being in the building.
[54:13] Speaker 4: I can't feel it the same way I feel it
[54:15] Speaker 4: on the court, too.
[54:16] Speaker 3: Bro, I'm going to be honest with you. After my
[54:17] Speaker 3: rookie year, after we got put out, I went to
[54:19] Speaker 3: the Lakers Western Conference. A playoff game. I sat there
[54:23] Speaker 3: and watched that shit.
[54:25] Speaker 4: That shit was intense.
[54:27] Speaker 2: Western Conference.
[54:28] Speaker 3: Western Conference.
[54:29] Speaker 2: It don't matter.
[54:29] Speaker 3: A playoff game, I'm going there.
[54:31] Speaker 6: I'm more understanding of a finals game.
[54:36] Speaker 4: Yeah. That's what I'm saying.
[54:38] Speaker 3: Every playoff game is.
[54:39] Speaker 2: A second round game in L.A.? And I understand.
[54:42] Speaker 6: So to turn me out, I understand why players like
[54:44] Speaker 6: in the Super Bowl, the losing team, some dudes sit
[54:46] Speaker 6: out there and they watch so they want to see.
[54:48] Speaker 2: What they're feeling. Like, I get that, right? I get
[54:52] Speaker 2: going to the finals. If you listen, I want to
[54:54] Speaker 2: play on that stage one day. I could understand that more, right?
[55:00] Speaker 6: Game seven of the finals, I can understand that more
[55:04] Speaker 6: than me going to the first round game three.
[55:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
[55:08] Speaker 3: What? That's... I mean, that's like a music artist going
[55:10] Speaker 3: to the, being like, I'm not going to go to
[55:11] Speaker 3: the Grammys unless I'm winning one.
[55:13] Speaker 2: So you're not going to go for the experience? God damn,
[55:15] Speaker 2: you need to go.
[55:16] Speaker 3: You need to be in the fucking building.
[55:17] Speaker 2: Right?
[55:18] Speaker 4: You need to be in the building.
[55:19] Speaker 3: Yes, it is.
[55:20] Speaker 2: That's the same thing.
[55:23] Speaker 3: This is my profession. If I want to go to
[55:25] Speaker 3: the finals so I can see how that shit is,
[55:28] Speaker 3: I want to see how motherfucking intensity is game one.
[55:30] Speaker 3: I want to see that. I wish I was in
[55:32] Speaker 3: the building. If I was in NBA doing AI when
[55:35] Speaker 3: he went to the finals in one game, I want
[55:36] Speaker 3: to be in the building to see that. I want
[55:38] Speaker 3: to see that.
[55:38] Speaker 1: Support his Canadian brethren, SGA, Lou Dort.
[55:42] Speaker 2: That shit weird. Amon Thompson not allowed to go to
[55:46] Speaker 2: the game?
[55:46] Speaker 1: That's his queer brother. They might have been switching out
[55:49] Speaker 1: during halftime. You never know.
[55:50] Speaker 2: He's going to see his family play his bro.
[55:53] Speaker 3: Wait, who?
[55:54] Speaker 2: There are exceptions to this. Dylan Brooks is his homie.
[55:57] Speaker 2: That's my homie. Homie and his fucking twin brother are
[56:05] Speaker 2: two separate. I'm going to watch my twin brother play.
[56:08] Speaker 2: You're an active player. You're an active player. Go watch
[56:12] Speaker 2: that shit at home, nigga. What do you mean? I agree,
[56:16] Speaker 2: but he is there. I know why he is there.
[56:20] Speaker 5: My man is my teammate on the Olympics.
[56:24] Speaker 2: He's my teammate on the Olympics. What are you talking about?
[56:28] Speaker 2: I still think it's weird.
[56:29] Speaker 6: But I understand if I'm Asur and Amir Thomas are
[56:34] Speaker 6: going to the game to watch. When Brooke and Robin
[56:37] Speaker 6: was in the league, right?
[56:38] Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
[56:39] Speaker 6: If it's your brother who you want to go watch
[56:41] Speaker 6: play in the playoffs, what can I.
[56:43] Speaker 2: Be like, okay, I get it.
[56:44] Speaker 3: No, get your active ass out of here.
[56:46] Speaker 2: No, I get it. Listen, I'm watching Cancun on three. One, two, three,
[56:50] Speaker 2: I'll see you in Cancun.
[56:52] Speaker 6: It's still weird to me, but I understand that that's
[56:56] Speaker 6: his brother.
[56:57] Speaker 4: Your nigga's weird.
[56:58] Speaker 2: I'm not going to watch somebody who I... If it
[56:59] Speaker 2: was normal.
[57:00] Speaker 4: People would do it.
[57:01] Speaker 2: Talking about his homeboy. That's my man. Who gives a
[57:04] Speaker 2: fuck about your man? That's my man.
[57:06] Speaker 3: It was normal.
[57:07] Speaker 2: People would do it. Like, all this, the basketball. Like,
[57:09] Speaker 2: we're talking about basketball.
[57:11] Speaker 4: The highest level.
[57:11] Speaker 2: Basketball. The highest level. Like, hey, bro, the championship game,
[57:14] Speaker 2: we lose.
[57:14] Speaker 4: You're getting dressed up to watch somebody else do it
[57:17] Speaker 4: better than you.
[57:18] Speaker 2: Hey, you nasty. Yo, in 15 years of me playing,
[57:22] Speaker 2: not one.
[57:23] Speaker 3: Time have I thought to, like, you know what?
[57:27] Speaker 2: Man, I'm going to go to a fucking game, dog.
[57:30] Speaker 3: How about when you was younger and you didn't make
[57:31] Speaker 3: the championship game? Did you watch the championship game?
[57:34] Speaker 2: What championship game?
[57:35] Speaker 3: In AAU.
[57:35] Speaker 2: No, we on a plane leaving.
[57:37] Speaker 1: AAU, you didn't stay for the championship?
[57:39] Speaker 2: Hell no. That's a lie. We definitely watching.
[57:44] Speaker 5: The game after the game. After the game, we want
[57:48] Speaker 5: to see who won. We want to see who won.
[57:52] Speaker 5: Y'all niggas that beat us, y'all had to win.
[57:55] Speaker 6: Y'all niggas that beat us, y'all better win.
[57:59] Speaker 3: They couldn't leave because the first, second, third, fourth, you
[58:02] Speaker 3: had to sit there and watch.
[58:03] Speaker 2: Well, could have been us.
[58:04] Speaker 3: Well, yeah, next year.
[58:05] Speaker 2: Next year, you had to be here. I don't know.
[58:08] Speaker 3: AAU back in the day?
[58:09] Speaker 2: No.
[58:09] Speaker 5: Coach definitely said, hey, y'all going to sit through and
[58:12] Speaker 5: watch this shit.
[58:13] Speaker 2: Y'all going to watch this. You ain't escaping this shit.
[58:15] Speaker 2: We can get my AAU coach on the line. He
[58:17] Speaker 2: can tell you himself.
[58:18] Speaker 5: Mitch Malone can tell you himself.
[58:22] Speaker 3: Y'all flew and left.
[58:23] Speaker 4: Unless we had another game in an hour or so,
[58:26] Speaker 4: that's the only way we can stay after games.
[58:28] Speaker 3: Everybody was watching.
[58:29] Speaker 4: Let's play.
[58:31] Speaker 2: Let's play. Let's play.
[58:33] Speaker 3: So now y'all went to the Drew League championship game
[58:35] Speaker 3: and y'all wasn't in it?
[58:36] Speaker 2: So now it's a trip to the Drew League. They
[58:39] Speaker 2: went from NBA to Drew League. I was just fucking
[58:42] Speaker 2: saying shit. I was supposed to get MVP.
[58:44] Speaker 5: I was supposed to get MVP. You was there to
[58:48] Speaker 5: see me fucking play.
[58:49] Speaker 2: Who was playing? They mailed me my MVP to Drew.
[58:52] Speaker 4: I had to go to the championship game to get
[58:54] Speaker 4: that shit. I felt like they cheated me.
[58:55] Speaker 2: Fuck them.
[58:56] Speaker 3: Nick, Nick, Nick.
[58:57] Speaker 2: That was hot. Next, they're going.
[58:59] Speaker 6: To ask you, did you watch your son's game after
[59:02] Speaker 6: he played next? Now, they're just going to ask you
[59:03] Speaker 6: if you watched any game after another game.
[59:05] Speaker 4: And if it's a normal, why be talking about this
[59:08] Speaker 4: like it's a big thing?
[59:09] Speaker 2: Dylan Brooks.
[59:10] Speaker 4: More people at games.
[59:11] Speaker 3: They are NBA players.
[59:12] Speaker 2: He just mentioned D-Wade.
[59:13] Speaker 3: Active NBA player.
[59:14] Speaker 2: You know how long D-Wade played? Who?
[59:16] Speaker 1: No.
[59:16] Speaker 2: When was the last time somebody else did? That was 2009.
[59:18] Speaker 2: He was at the game. Nobody said. The way Wade
[59:20] Speaker 2: was at the final game. He was at the game.
[59:21] Speaker 1: Okay.
[59:22] Speaker 2: All right. So when was the last time another star
[59:24] Speaker 2: was at a game or something?
[59:25] Speaker 3: LeBron James was sitting at the finals game watching CP
[59:27] Speaker 3: and them lose to the Bucs.
[59:29] Speaker 4: Oh, weird.
[59:29] Speaker 2: Sitting courtside. Weird.
[59:31] Speaker 1: How?
[59:31] Speaker 2: Banana boat. How?
[59:32] Speaker 4: Weird.
[59:33] Speaker 2: It's basketball. They're on a banana boat together. You sitting
[59:35] Speaker 2: at the game with a bottle of Lobos. Listen, you
[59:37] Speaker 2: sitting at the game with a bottle of Lobos on
[59:39] Speaker 2: the floor drinking.
[59:40] Speaker 3: Like, no. Get it off.
[59:41] Speaker 2: Get it off. Get it off. Mark it. I'm here.
[59:44] Speaker 3: I got four of them.
[59:45] Speaker 2: I got four of them.
[59:46] Speaker 6: But back to you, the point that y'all made about
[59:49] Speaker 6: the twins, the brothers. Like I said, I think it's...
[59:52] Speaker 6: On my thing, it's still weird to see NBA players
[59:55] Speaker 6: at games, right?
[59:55] Speaker 2: Wow. But if you're going to support your brother, right? Yeah,
[59:59] Speaker 2: I see that. I ain't going to lie. I ain't
[1:00:01] Speaker 2: going to lie. I ain't going to lie, you'll see. What?
[1:00:02] Speaker 2: You're going to support your brother.
[1:00:03] Speaker 3: Yo, so I'm just saying, hey, yo, so I'm.
[1:00:05] Speaker 2: Just saying, hey, hey. Hey, we just get put out, right?
[1:00:10] Speaker 4: Family should be bigger than basketball.
[1:00:11] Speaker 3: So we just get put out. We go to the Knicks, man,
[1:00:13] Speaker 3: and Jordan Clarkson, our homie, we be like, hey, man.
[1:00:15] Speaker 2: Let's go to the Knicks. We got court-side seats, man.
[1:00:16] Speaker 3: We got court-side seats. Don't go?
[1:00:18] Speaker 2: Yes, don't go.
[1:00:19] Speaker 4: Wow.
[1:00:20] Speaker 2: As an active player? Wow.
[1:00:23] Speaker 4: As an active player? Brother, brother, best friend.
[1:00:27] Speaker 2: Come on, man. Say it again.
[1:00:28] Speaker 4: Unless it's your brother or you feel close enough like
[1:00:31] Speaker 4: it's your brother?
[1:00:32] Speaker 2: Say it again. If you feel close enough like it's
[1:00:33] Speaker 2: your brother.
[1:00:34] Speaker 1: What if it's your biggest enemy and you want to
[1:00:35] Speaker 1: watch their downfall?
[1:00:36] Speaker 3: Why don't we just go to the game? Hey, y'all
[1:00:37] Speaker 3: can't listen.
[1:00:38] Speaker 2: Hey, both of y'all came out the same hole.
[1:00:45] Speaker 5: I'm about to go to the game and watch my
[1:00:47] Speaker 5: brother slash his fucking head off.
[1:00:49] Speaker 4: You just got swept 4-0. What the fuck? I'm getting
[1:00:52] Speaker 4: dressed up to go watch it.
[1:00:53] Speaker 5: My brother cut me. He cut my head off. My
[1:00:56] Speaker 5: brother cut my head off. I'm about to go watch
[1:00:57] Speaker 5: him cut somebody's head off.
[1:00:58] Speaker 4: We're on the same national team.
[1:00:59] Speaker 3: We're on the same national team.
[1:01:01] Speaker 2: That ain't your problem. This is my guy. Y'all didn't
[1:01:03] Speaker 2: come out the same old. This is my guy.
[1:01:05] Speaker 4: Man, that's what I'm saying.
[1:01:06] Speaker 5: It's my neighbor then. He ain't my brother. We grew
[1:01:09] Speaker 5: up together.
[1:01:09] Speaker 2: Same daddy or same mama. Hit him. I'm going to
[1:01:15] Speaker 2: be at the game. Same daddy, same mama. Only way.
[1:01:18] Speaker 2: After the game. But I'm not going.
[1:01:22] Speaker 6: I wish one of you niggas would have hit me
[1:01:25] Speaker 6: up doing what I was playing.
[1:01:26] Speaker 2: Hey, bro, can you leave me some tickets to the game? Nigga,
[1:01:28] Speaker 2: I ain't. What? I'll see you after the game. Leave
[1:01:30] Speaker 2: me no fucking tickets. No fucking game. All right, well,
[1:01:33] Speaker 2: let's keep this thing moving. We got a lot more
[1:01:35] Speaker 2: playoff basketball to discuss. Let's stay. I thought that was it.
[1:01:40] Speaker 2: So let's stay in the Western Conference. Stay in the West. Hey, LeBron,
[1:01:44] Speaker 2: y'all niggas are crazy.
[1:01:46] Speaker 4: Absolutely.
[1:01:47] Speaker 3: Wasn't Dodgers at a game?
[1:01:48] Speaker 2: They all in. They all in, Jaren, at the Orlando series.
[1:01:52] Speaker 4: Absolutely. They going to Orlando.
[1:01:54] Speaker 2: Watching Bane play. Universal Studios. Hey, man. That ain't your brother.
[1:01:59] Speaker 2: That's my bro. That's my man. That's my man. We
[1:02:03] Speaker 2: went to battle together. Hey, bro, we want you to
[1:02:06] Speaker 2: win this series. Hey, guess what?
[1:02:08] Speaker 3: Go ahead, Josiah.
[1:02:09] Speaker 6: We watching it on TV and me relaying that message
[1:02:11] Speaker 6: is the same effect.
[1:02:13] Speaker 2: I'm watching you right now. It's the same fucking thing.
[1:02:15] Speaker 2: I'm going to kill him with this ice at the game.
[1:02:18] Speaker 1: I'm going to kill him with all this shit. All right, well,
[1:02:20] Speaker 1: let's shift over. We'll stay in the West. Shift over
[1:02:22] Speaker 1: to the other much more entertaining semifinal matchup. Wimby delivered
[1:02:26] Speaker 1: dominant performance in game three to guide the Spurs to
[1:02:28] Speaker 1: their second straight win to take back home court advantage.
[1:02:31] Speaker 1: Aileen had 39 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks, becoming
[1:02:34] Speaker 1: the fourth player ever with 35, 15 boards, and five
[1:02:36] Speaker 1: blocks in a playoff game, joining Hakeem, Shaq, and Kareem.
[1:02:40] Speaker 1: Spurs looking to take a commanding 3-1 lead in game four,
[1:02:42] Speaker 1: but a questionable decision by Wimby. in a monster game
[1:02:45] Speaker 1: from Ant-Man on Mother's Day as tribute to his late mother,
[1:02:49] Speaker 1: gave the Wolves new life.
[1:02:50] Speaker 2: Let's take a look at the highlights if we can, please.
[1:02:53] Speaker 1: So both teams got to it from the jump, going
[1:02:58] Speaker 1: bucket for bucket in the first quarter. Spurs jumped out
[1:03:02] Speaker 1: to an early lead, but Ant-Man starting his second straight game.
[1:03:05] Speaker 2: Said, not today, fellas. The Wolves to go. Four-point lead
[1:03:08] Speaker 2: after the first frame. Thanks in large part to plays
[1:03:16] Speaker 2: like this.
[1:03:17] Speaker 1: Things took an unexpected turn in the second quarter when
[1:03:19] Speaker 1: Wimby booted from the game for elbowing Nas Reed.
[1:03:24] Speaker 2: We will have, what?
[1:03:25] Speaker 3: Uh-oh.
[1:03:26] Speaker 2: Uh-oh, coming back. Uh-oh.
[1:03:27] Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen, this is a live show.
[1:03:32] Speaker 1: You already know how we do. Like I said, Wimby
[1:03:35] Speaker 1: ejected for elbowing Nas Reed. We will have much more
[1:03:40] Speaker 1: on that shortly. But we're out for the remainder of
[1:03:42] Speaker 1: the game. Only played 12 minutes. in that game. In
[1:03:49] Speaker 1: that flagrant two. When we finish the game, just four points,
[1:03:51] Speaker 1: 12 minutes. Spurs guard core did their best to fill
[1:03:55] Speaker 1: his void. De'Aaron Fox and Dylan Harper both had a
[1:03:57] Speaker 1: team-high 24 points, with Fox going 8 for 23 from
[1:03:59] Speaker 1: the field. Harper had a much more efficient 8 of
[1:04:02] Speaker 1: 11 shooting, while Stephon Castle added 20.6 boards and four
[1:04:05] Speaker 1: assists in this game. Spurs trailed by four at the break,
[1:04:10] Speaker 1: but outscored the Wolves 20 at 20 in the third frame,
[1:04:12] Speaker 1: forcing six turnovers.
[1:04:13] Speaker 3: In the quarter.
[1:04:14] Speaker 1: Wolves trail by eight with under nine minutes left in
[1:04:17] Speaker 1: the game when Anthony Edwards put the team on his
[1:04:19] Speaker 1: back while still dealing with a knee injury. Ant-Man scored
[1:04:22] Speaker 1: 16 of his 36 points in the final frame, playing
[1:04:24] Speaker 1: all 12 minutes. Rudy Gobert added 11 and 13 boards,
[1:04:28] Speaker 1: putting some big buckets in the fourth quarter without Winby
[1:04:31] Speaker 1: controlling the pace. Nas Reed had 15 and nine boards
[1:04:33] Speaker 1: off the bench, going six foot 12 from the field.
[1:04:36] Speaker 1: So Wolves were up seven late in the game when
[1:04:37] Speaker 1: the Spurs tried to rally, coming up with some clutch
[1:04:40] Speaker 1: defensive plays and free throws to cut the deficit. Wolves
[1:04:45] Speaker 1: were forced to take a timeout, 13 second rain, nearly
[1:04:47] Speaker 1: getting next second violation.
[1:04:50] Speaker 2: We're going to. Oh. But came through to still get
[1:04:54] Speaker 2: the win.
[1:04:57] Speaker 4: We're going to show it in a second.
[1:05:02] Speaker 1: The Wolves even the series heading to game five back
[1:05:04] Speaker 1: in San Antonio. So we'll talk the game in a moment.
[1:05:07] Speaker 1: But first, let's talk about the most controversial moment from Sunday.
[1:05:11] Speaker 1: Let's take a look, if we can, please. The Wimby
[1:05:14] Speaker 1: Lost is Cool decided to throw a bow at Nas
[1:05:16] Speaker 1: Reed in retaliation for some physical play on the Wolf side.
[1:05:20] Speaker 2: Let's take a look at the replay.
[1:05:22] Speaker 4: Look how he tried to get up.
[1:05:25] Speaker 2: Look at Dylan Harper's face. Even before. Ooh.
[1:05:30] Speaker 4: Cock that bitch.
[1:05:31] Speaker 2: Dylan Harper's face watching it.
[1:05:33] Speaker 3: And he's skinny, too, so his elbows.
[1:05:35] Speaker 4: Boom. All bone right there. That arm fell down.
[1:05:41] Speaker 1: We'll be given a flagrant two ejected from the game.
[1:05:45] Speaker 1: On the play.
[1:05:47] Speaker 4: Ooh.
[1:05:51] Speaker 2: Sacre bleu, as the young kids say.
[1:05:54] Speaker 1: Except Wolves went on to even the series. Much more
[1:05:59] Speaker 1: easy to get buckets in the paint without Wimby out
[1:06:01] Speaker 1: there So Nas Reed had this reaction when asked about
[1:06:04] Speaker 1: taking an elbow from the French phenom.
[1:06:06] Speaker 2: Pain is weakness leaving the body. That's it.
[1:06:10] Speaker 4: Pain is weakness.
[1:06:12] Speaker 1: Pain is weakness leaving the body. On Monday, the league
[1:06:15] Speaker 1: announced there would be no further discipline.
[1:06:17] Speaker 4: No further.
[1:06:18] Speaker 1: No further discipline for Wimby Ford's flag or two. So
[1:06:20] Speaker 1: no fine, no suspension. Wimby getting off for time already served. Swag,
[1:06:25] Speaker 1: we're going to start with you. I saw your very
[1:06:27] Speaker 1: visceral reaction. He deserved to be suspended. Did Whimmy deserve
[1:06:29] Speaker 1: a harsher punishment for elbowing Nasri?
[1:06:31] Speaker 4: He deserved to be suspended. That shit looked worse than
[1:06:34] Speaker 4: the Metta World piece.
[1:06:36] Speaker 2: James Harden.
[1:06:37] Speaker 4: James Harden. And then you clap after and celebrate. He
[1:06:44] Speaker 4: meant to do that. What I see was somebody that
[1:06:50] Speaker 4: you could get frustrated. And that's what the Timberwolves known for.
[1:06:54] Speaker 4: You can say what you want about them, how they
[1:06:56] Speaker 4: express themselves, play the game, but I haven't seen them
[1:07:00] Speaker 4: do no cheap shots like that. And when you can't
[1:07:06] Speaker 4: take the pressure or take what people are saying to you,
[1:07:10] Speaker 4: you cock your back elbows. He's French. I know y'all
[1:07:17] Speaker 4: want to take it lightly on the Frenchman.
[1:07:19] Speaker 2: Is this a French thing?
[1:07:20] Speaker 4: Yeah, but you should be suspended for that. It wasn't
[1:07:24] Speaker 4: like I'm just throwing it. He really meant to hit
[1:07:27] Speaker 4: that man with that elbow. And Naj Reed wasn't none
[1:07:31] Speaker 4: of the people that talk trash like that.
[1:07:34] Speaker 2: Part of the jelly fam.
[1:07:36] Speaker 4: He is, but you don't see it. He just said
[1:07:39] Speaker 4: some bullshit like pain leaves the body. That's some signature
[1:07:42] Speaker 4: shit you read in the locker room. He don't talk trash.
[1:07:46] Speaker 4: He's not the guy. If you elbow Jalen Daniels or something, man,
[1:07:51] Speaker 4: that's different. But that was weak.
[1:07:57] Speaker 5: Very physical game with me. I feel like you should
[1:07:58] Speaker 5: get one for that. Hey, why did none of his
[1:08:03] Speaker 5: teammates run and do anything about it?
[1:08:04] Speaker 4: I don't know. Let's see again. Did they?
[1:08:09] Speaker 2: No.
[1:08:12] Speaker 3: I thought McDaniels had a mic.
[1:08:13] Speaker 4: Yeah, he let him go. Because he didn't want to
[1:08:17] Speaker 4: get suspended because he's thinking, he knows.
[1:08:19] Speaker 2: No, because they knew what they was doing to that
[1:08:20] Speaker 2: man to make him do that. What, playing physical?
[1:08:23] Speaker 4: Playing physical? I didn't see them elbow him.
[1:08:25] Speaker 2: Playing physical, okay.
[1:08:27] Speaker 4: Did somebody elbow him?
[1:08:28] Speaker 5: Game one and he pushed him down, just pushed Wimby down.
[1:08:33] Speaker 5: Running back on, literally.
[1:08:36] Speaker 2: On the ground.
[1:08:38] Speaker 3: So shouldn't the coach step up?
[1:08:40] Speaker 2: Number one rule of big men. Number one rule of
[1:08:43] Speaker 2: big men when little guards is down there swiping at
[1:08:45] Speaker 2: the ball.
[1:08:45] Speaker 4: So they literally walked up to him and pushed him.
[1:08:47] Speaker 2: Yeah. No, he wasn't walking.
[1:08:49] Speaker 5: He was running down the court and pushed him down
[1:08:51] Speaker 5: out of bounds.
[1:08:51] Speaker 2: But fuck all that. Number one rule of big men
[1:08:53] Speaker 2: is keep your elbows high.
[1:08:55] Speaker 4: Man, this is this. I see that.
[1:08:59] Speaker 1: No, no.
[1:08:59] Speaker 4: No. But you went this way first.
[1:09:01] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:09:02] Speaker 4: And came back.
[1:09:02] Speaker 5: Yeah, because this whole series, y'all been fucking around and
[1:09:05] Speaker 5: y'all just found out.
[1:09:06] Speaker 2: So you want to fuck around.
[1:09:08] Speaker 4: You should get suspended.
[1:09:09] Speaker 2: You're going to find out.
[1:09:10] Speaker 4: All right, so you should get suspended.
[1:09:11] Speaker 5: Guess why they didn't suspend him. Because they reviewed the
[1:09:15] Speaker 5: fucking around. They reviewed the fucking around. Look, they've been
[1:09:18] Speaker 5: fucking around with Wimby this whole series. We ain't been
[1:09:23] Speaker 5: calling none of the bullshit on them. We've been allowing
[1:09:26] Speaker 5: them to be physical with him.
[1:09:28] Speaker 2: I mean, that's been on the league and the refs, though.
[1:09:31] Speaker 5: No, it's on Wimby. It's on Wimby. Let me show
[1:09:35] Speaker 5: you something, okay? You think because I'm a freshman, I'm
[1:09:38] Speaker 5: not Rudy. You're not about to just fucking choke me out.
[1:09:41] Speaker 2: A different breed of friend. I'm going to let you
[1:09:42] Speaker 2: know what this is, okay? This ain't that. Listen, I
[1:09:45] Speaker 2: was over there with monks. I was doing my patient
[1:09:47] Speaker 2: shit for a long time.
[1:09:48] Speaker 5: I was being patient because I'm over here and I'm meditating.
[1:09:53] Speaker 2: But you know what else the monks taught me?
[1:09:54] Speaker 4: That shit didn't work.
[1:09:55] Speaker 2: You know what else they taught me? You know what
[1:09:57] Speaker 2: else they taught me?
[1:09:58] Speaker 4: Do you know what else the monks taught me? They
[1:10:01] Speaker 4: didn't teach you the elbow.
[1:10:02] Speaker 2: They taught me the elbow. No, they didn't. Huh? The
[1:10:05] Speaker 2: people's elbow.
[1:10:06] Speaker 5: Can you smell what the rock is cooking, nigga? I
[1:10:09] Speaker 5: bet you can smell that shit now.
[1:10:11] Speaker 2: What'd he say?
[1:10:12] Speaker 3: He think he Karate Kid. What'd he say?
[1:10:14] Speaker 2: Pain is what? Pain is weakness leaving the body? That's
[1:10:17] Speaker 2: Nas Reed, yeah.
[1:10:18] Speaker 4: Okay.
[1:10:20] Speaker 2: King Cooper, nigga. Swag, you mentioned Metta.
[1:10:24] Speaker 1: But Metta Elbow, James Harden, I think was like the
[1:10:26] Speaker 1: second to last game of the regular season, was suspended
[1:10:27] Speaker 1: for the next seven games, so missed the regular season.
[1:10:29] Speaker 4: He got suspended seven games?
[1:10:30] Speaker 2: Missed the regular season finale, missed the first six games
[1:10:32] Speaker 2: of the playoffs.
[1:10:33] Speaker 4: Seven games!
[1:10:34] Speaker 2: But you know why, right? But he did have a
[1:10:35] Speaker 2: history of.
[1:10:36] Speaker 4: It don't matter.
[1:10:37] Speaker 2: Some situations. It don't matter. Yes, it does. Listen, this is.
[1:10:41] Speaker 4: I'm talking about if you fight, if you do something
[1:10:45] Speaker 4: like that, you should get suspended.
[1:10:47] Speaker 6: This is Adam Silver's NBA. That happened in David Stern's NBA.
[1:10:53] Speaker 6: Two different NBAs, man. You did it on David Stern's watch,
[1:10:58] Speaker 6: you was going to pay for it.
[1:10:59] Speaker 2: James Harden did it. I mean, he did it to
[1:11:02] Speaker 2: James Harden, he paid for it.
[1:11:03] Speaker 4: Money means more.
[1:11:05] Speaker 6: Listen, to Rashad's point, right? They've been fucking that man
[1:11:09] Speaker 6: up for four games. He got fed up.
[1:11:12] Speaker 2: That was... It was a bubble.
[1:11:14] Speaker 3: It was.
[1:11:16] Speaker 6: Everybody got a push, like a tilting point, right? And
[1:11:19] Speaker 6: he reached his, because right before that, the same play
[1:11:22] Speaker 6: got slapped in.
[1:11:22] Speaker 2: The head, right? They didn't call it. By Shannon. So
[1:11:28] Speaker 2: what I saw was, y'all ain't been calling it, watch this, right?
[1:11:33] Speaker 4: I get it, right?
[1:11:34] Speaker 6: So when he grabbed her, I'm thinking why he got
[1:11:36] Speaker 6: the ball here, right? You told everybody to put that
[1:11:38] Speaker 6: bitch up here. Where can nobody get to? It was
[1:11:39] Speaker 6: my thing. He don't know how to be a big yet.
[1:11:43] Speaker 6: Shannon fucking ball.
[1:11:44] Speaker 4: Pivot, right?
[1:11:45] Speaker 2: Move out of the way. He grab it here, pivot.
[1:11:48] Speaker 2: I can hit you with that same elbow. Yeah, you could.
[1:11:51] Speaker 2: And guess what? <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>
[1:11:54] Speaker 2: You swing it. No, you swing it. Turn it. He
[1:11:57] Speaker 2: talking about pitch.
[1:11:58] Speaker 4: Oh, just turn it like that.
[1:11:59] Speaker 2: Hey, you get that motherfucker here. You tend that bitch.
[1:12:02] Speaker 6: I can swing the motherfuckers just like that. I can
[1:12:05] Speaker 6: swing the motherfuckers and you get hit.
[1:12:07] Speaker 2: That's on you. This shit here. That's flagrant. I hit you.
[1:12:12] Speaker 2: That's flagrant too. Let's watch the play again if we can, please.
[1:12:15] Speaker 6: If you pivot with it, I can pivot all over
[1:12:18] Speaker 6: this motherfucking nigga.
[1:12:20] Speaker 2: And you run there and get hit?
[1:12:21] Speaker 3: See, yeah, he threw that one, though.
[1:12:24] Speaker 4: I elbowed and I ripped through it like this.
[1:12:26] Speaker 5: Why did he throw it? Look at what he's doing.
[1:12:28] Speaker 5: He's throwing it because these niggas are all over me.
[1:12:31] Speaker 2: He's grabbing my jersey. He just got hit. He's grabbing
[1:12:33] Speaker 2: his arm right there. He got two hands on his arm.
[1:12:36] Speaker 3: No, no, no.
[1:12:38] Speaker 2: He got his whole arm. That's a bad look.
[1:12:40] Speaker 3: He's a dirty player.
[1:12:43] Speaker 2: He's a dirty player. He's doing that too. He's getting
[1:12:46] Speaker 2: boxed out.
[1:12:47] Speaker 5: Look, he got his jersey behind him.
[1:12:49] Speaker 2: He's grabbing his jersey.
[1:12:50] Speaker 4: Wait.
[1:12:51] Speaker 2: He's got his whole jersey right there. He's holding him.
[1:12:55] Speaker 4: Look.
[1:12:57] Speaker 2: Got hit right there. Damn. Right there. Elbow. Right there.
[1:13:01] Speaker 2: Elbow to the face. Right there. Elbow to the face. One.
[1:13:05] Speaker 2: Grabbing my jersey with the other hand. Two. Hey, man, listen.
[1:13:09] Speaker 2: Let go of my arm. Look, he got his arm.
[1:13:11] Speaker 2: Let go of my arm, bro.
[1:13:12] Speaker 3: Who got your arm?
[1:13:13] Speaker 2: He got his arm with two hands right there.
[1:13:15] Speaker 3: Two hands.
[1:13:16] Speaker 2: Why now?
[1:13:16] Speaker 6: Nope.
[1:13:18] Speaker 4: Swing at him then.
[1:13:20] Speaker 2: I'm swinging at whoever's around. Women's a dirty player. No,
[1:13:24] Speaker 2: he ain't.
[1:13:25] Speaker 4: He's a dirty player?
[1:13:25] Speaker 2: No, he ain't.
[1:13:26] Speaker 6: He's a dirty player. Listen, if they called the foul, J.
[1:13:29] Speaker 6: McDaniels got this man left arm, right? J. McDaniels holding
[1:13:33] Speaker 6: this man. Before he elbow him, before he swing it, stop.
[1:13:37] Speaker 2: Try to be peacemaker. He is holding this man's arm.
[1:13:40] Speaker 4: Right?
[1:13:42] Speaker 6: Do we agree or not agree that... Hold on, Nick,
[1:13:44] Speaker 6: before you... Do you agree or not agree that he's
[1:13:48] Speaker 6: holding this man's left arm?
[1:13:50] Speaker 2: Right? He's holding it. Is that not a foul?
[1:13:54] Speaker 3: Yes.
[1:13:55] Speaker 2: If they blow the whistle in this moment.
[1:13:57] Speaker 4: No, no, you can't say that.
[1:14:01] Speaker 2: Can't say what? If they call a foul, I'm holding both.
[1:14:03] Speaker 2: He got both of them.
[1:14:04] Speaker 4: You can't condone the elbow no matter what.
[1:14:06] Speaker 2: I'm going to condone it.
[1:14:07] Speaker 4: Because that man went to the hole at the end
[1:14:09] Speaker 4: and got hit in the face and they ain't calling it.
[1:14:11] Speaker 4: People get fouled. So every time I get fouled in
[1:14:14] Speaker 4: that match, I deserve to hit somebody. Every rebound opportunity,
[1:14:17] Speaker 4: they're pushing him out of bounds. How many times LeBron
[1:14:19] Speaker 4: got fouled on the fast break?
[1:14:20] Speaker 2: Nick, Nick. Bro, you're not going to keep doing this.
[1:14:22] Speaker 3: I ain't never seen LeBron do this.
[1:14:23] Speaker 2: You're not going to keep doing this to me, though. Nick,
[1:14:25] Speaker 2: you know what the scouting report is?
[1:14:27] Speaker 3: Women's a dirty player, man.
[1:14:28] Speaker 2: He's soft, bro.
[1:14:30] Speaker 4: He's soft.
[1:14:30] Speaker 2: No, be physical with me.
[1:14:31] Speaker 4: When you're soft, you do stuff like that.
[1:14:33] Speaker 2: Be physical with me. Rich.
[1:14:34] Speaker 3: No, he's a dirty player, bro.
[1:14:36] Speaker 4: You're messing with me. You're touching me.
[1:14:38] Speaker 2: Well, guess what? Guess what? He not soft no more.
[1:14:40] Speaker 5: I bet you won't keep doing that shit no more.
[1:14:44] Speaker 2: Pain is weak as leaving the body. All right, keep
[1:14:47] Speaker 2: running up. Let me show you some more pain. No, listen.
[1:14:50] Speaker 2: Let me show you some more pain.
[1:14:51] Speaker 4: No, listen.
[1:14:52] Speaker 2: I will keep doing it right now.
[1:14:53] Speaker 3: Because if we be not mature enough to understand that
[1:14:55] Speaker 3: the team need him on the court, I'm going to
[1:14:56] Speaker 3: keep fucking running.
[1:14:57] Speaker 2: We're not going to do it. He went to see
[1:14:59] Speaker 2: the Monk.
[1:14:59] Speaker 4: He went to see the Monk overnight.
[1:15:00] Speaker 2: What's the Jordan?
[1:15:02] Speaker 4: When they was beating up Jordan, I never seen Jordan
[1:15:04] Speaker 4: elbow a motherfucker like this.
[1:15:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, you talking about he grabbed Xavier McDaniel by his throat. Man, nigga.
[1:15:09] Speaker 2: Ball throat.
[1:15:10] Speaker 5: You're not going to keep hitting me like this, Xavier McDaniel.
[1:15:13] Speaker 2: Nah, that's wrong, Wimby. That's wrong. That's New York. So
[1:15:16] Speaker 2: I'm listening. But what if he grabbed him by his throat, right?
[1:15:20] Speaker 2: He reached the boiling point.
[1:15:21] Speaker 4: Looked him in his face.
[1:15:23] Speaker 6: Wimby reached the boiling point. Your motherfucker's about to fucking
[1:15:25] Speaker 6: be up for three and a half games.
[1:15:26] Speaker 4: And you take it out on the nicest person on
[1:15:29] Speaker 4: the team.
[1:15:29] Speaker 2: Guess what?
[1:15:30] Speaker 4: Jamie McDaniel's holding you.
[1:15:32] Speaker 2: Pick your teeth up, nigga. If Jaden would have been
[1:15:34] Speaker 2: on the other side, guess what he would have got?
[1:15:36] Speaker 4: Nah.
[1:15:36] Speaker 2: He could have swung the other way.
[1:15:37] Speaker 4: He could have swung the other way.
[1:15:39] Speaker 2: Same shit. He holding his own. Turn around.
[1:15:41] Speaker 5: If it was so fucking bad, why your teammates ain't
[1:15:44] Speaker 5: doing shit?
[1:15:44] Speaker 4: Go that way.
[1:15:45] Speaker 2: If it was so fucking bad, why everybody ain't jump
[1:15:48] Speaker 2: off the bench? They smart. Why everybody ain't do nothing?
[1:15:50] Speaker 4: They smart.
[1:15:50] Speaker 2: Nobody move towards.
[1:15:52] Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure they did the same thing in Joker.
[1:15:54] Speaker 2: That's what they do.
[1:15:55] Speaker 4: They play hard.
[1:15:56] Speaker 2: It's reputation. They play hard. No suspension. It does appear to.
[1:16:00] Speaker 2: Look at Nas Ray right here. I'm tired of you, specifically. You.
[1:16:06] Speaker 2: But the thing is, he did it, right?
[1:16:09] Speaker 6: And he had to ask Harrison Barnes when they said
[1:16:11] Speaker 6: he was ejected, like, what does that mean? He had
[1:16:14] Speaker 6: no clue that he was being ejected. What a flagrant tool.
[1:16:17] Speaker 2: For real. Because I'm protecting myself. He asked Harrison Barnes
[1:16:20] Speaker 2: on the bench, like, what does that mean?
[1:16:22] Speaker 3: He did say that. What does that mean? What that mean?
[1:16:27] Speaker 3: That means, yeah, go home. Go hit the showers. Go
[1:16:31] Speaker 3: hit the showers. You're a dirty player.
[1:16:34] Speaker 2: One more time, please.
[1:16:36] Speaker 3: I'm pushing that narrative.
[1:16:37] Speaker 2: Hey, guess what? Zachary Blue. I don't fault him for
[1:16:41] Speaker 2: taking it up for himself. Not at all.
[1:16:43] Speaker 3: But I think the coaches should, though.
[1:16:45] Speaker 2: If they ain't going to do it, guess what?
[1:16:47] Speaker 3: The coach got money. They ain't going.
[1:16:50] Speaker 2: To do it. Guess what?
[1:16:50] Speaker 6: I'm going to take matters into my own hands.
[1:16:52] Speaker 2: Ain't that what we used to tell the fucking refs?
[1:16:54] Speaker 2: Like you said, you used to tell the refs, like,
[1:16:56] Speaker 2: all right, now. He keep on with this shit. If
[1:16:58] Speaker 2: he keep on, I'm giving you the warning. Rep, I'm
[1:17:03] Speaker 2: giving you the warning.
[1:17:04] Speaker 5: If he keep doing this shit, you better clean it up.
[1:17:08] Speaker 2: That's what we say. Hey, Rep, clean the game up, man.
[1:17:11] Speaker 4: What's the difference between talking trash and there's no limits,
[1:17:15] Speaker 4: but I'm messing with you and you can't... You're.
[1:17:17] Speaker 2: Not messing with me. You're hitting me. You're hitting me, Nick.
[1:17:21] Speaker 3: You're not talking shit to me.
[1:17:22] Speaker 2: You're beating me up. I just did, nigga, and.
[1:17:26] Speaker 3: Another way that's my way basically what my thing is
[1:17:29] Speaker 3: i would just keep being physical but it don't.
[1:17:31] Speaker 6: Matter like they've been doing they was physical with him
[1:17:34] Speaker 6: last game he had damn near 40 but my thing
[1:17:36] Speaker 6: is they was doing.
[1:17:36] Speaker 3: The same shit to him in that game i would
[1:17:38] Speaker 3: keep doing they were doing the.
[1:17:39] Speaker 2: Same thing to him in that game he reached a
[1:17:40] Speaker 2: boiling point right it's a lot of.
[1:17:42] Speaker 3: Shit all right so yeah so let's run it back.
[1:17:44] Speaker 2: On d anthony elwood's grabbed him up yeah grabbing his
[1:17:46] Speaker 2: shirt we're gonna guess what you know keep getting No,
[1:17:51] Speaker 2: that don't work. He's a baby. He won't do it again.
[1:17:53] Speaker 2: He's a big baby. Yes, he will.
[1:17:54] Speaker 3: No, he won't.
[1:17:54] Speaker 2: Yes, he will.
[1:17:54] Speaker 3: He's not mature enough.
[1:17:55] Speaker 4: He's a big baby.
[1:17:55] Speaker 2: He ain't going to do it again.
[1:17:56] Speaker 3: He's not mature enough.
[1:17:56] Speaker 2: That right there sold me.
[1:17:58] Speaker 6: One thing I can tell you about that young man,
[1:17:59] Speaker 6: he realized he cost his team a game.
[1:18:01] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:18:01] Speaker 3: And he's going to do it again. Look, he's going
[1:18:03] Speaker 3: to do it again. He'll barely win.
[1:18:04] Speaker 2: First player of the game.
[1:18:05] Speaker 3: First player of the game. First player of the game.
[1:18:08] Speaker 3: Hit him hard. Hit him hard.
[1:18:09] Speaker 2: Let's just see what happens. Ain't none of them going
[1:18:11] Speaker 2: to do nothing. For real. Ain't none of them going
[1:18:14] Speaker 2: to do nothing.
[1:18:16] Speaker 6: Only one old girl going to do something is McDaniels
[1:18:18] Speaker 6: and maybe Julius Randle.
[1:18:20] Speaker 2: That's fine.
[1:18:20] Speaker 4: That's fine.
[1:18:21] Speaker 3: Right when he come across it, boom, hit him one time.
[1:18:23] Speaker 2: Let's just see what happens.
[1:18:24] Speaker 4: He ain't no mums. He ain't shy land.
[1:18:27] Speaker 2: Next question, though. He ain't shy land. Series has been
[1:18:30] Speaker 2: very physical. Both teams trying to punk each other. So
[1:18:33] Speaker 2: does the league?
[1:18:34] Speaker 1: Deciding not to find or suspend Wimby for this flagrant elbow,
[1:18:37] Speaker 1: open the door for some retaliation down the road. If
[1:18:40] Speaker 1: I can send in my worst player, send in my
[1:18:43] Speaker 1: worst player, hey.
[1:18:44] Speaker 2: Go elbow Wimby. Go elbow Wimby in the door.
[1:18:47] Speaker 5: It's like the first foul don't get seen, The second
[1:18:49] Speaker 5: foul does get seen.
[1:18:50] Speaker 2: That's the same thing right there.
[1:18:52] Speaker 5: So what's the first foul? That's what you're talking about.
[1:18:54] Speaker 5: They didn't see it, right? They didn't see the first foul.
[1:18:57] Speaker 5: Guess what they seen? They seen the second foul.
[1:19:00] Speaker 2: Okay, so y'all want to continue this trend? We're going
[1:19:03] Speaker 2: to find out. It's going to be more niggas than
[1:19:04] Speaker 2: they thought. They saw it. They reviewed the play.
[1:19:06] Speaker 6: Multiple angles. Oh, no, he meant it. So I don't
[1:19:09] Speaker 6: have no problem with him taking up for himself. But
[1:19:11] Speaker 6: now I sent the last man on my bench to
[1:19:13] Speaker 6: go do the same thing to Wimby in game five.
[1:19:17] Speaker 6: I thought it would have been a take. I just
[1:19:18] Speaker 6: want my ejection. Don't find or suspend me.
[1:19:21] Speaker 4: I'm jumping to get the rebound like Tiffin. Both elbows
[1:19:23] Speaker 4: at his head.
[1:19:24] Speaker 2: You'll be all right.
[1:19:25] Speaker 4: Yeah. We'll see.
[1:19:26] Speaker 2: We cool. We ain't worried.
[1:19:27] Speaker 4: You know how sharp them elbows is?
[1:19:29] Speaker 2: Not worried, man. No, no, bro.
[1:19:31] Speaker 3: No, because that's bone. Because that's bone right there. He's skinny, too.
[1:19:34] Speaker 5: Money he say in the press conference. He didn't say
[1:19:38] Speaker 5: what you would say. He didn't say what you would say.
[1:19:40] Speaker 5: He couldn't get up off the floor. He said pain
[1:19:42] Speaker 5: is weakness. He was knocked out. He didn't know pain.
[1:19:44] Speaker 5: He was knocked out already.
[1:19:45] Speaker 2: Nobody even helped him up or nothing.
[1:19:46] Speaker 4: He tried to get up that arm.
[1:19:48] Speaker 3: He heard that from the.
[1:19:49] Speaker 2: Everybody know he was faking it. Hey, listen. You better
[1:19:51] Speaker 2: stop fucking with me. They had to get with F'n Salt.
[1:19:53] Speaker 4: They did this shit.
[1:19:54] Speaker 2: Better stop fucking with me. Daily quote. Yeah. Instagram daily quote.
[1:19:58] Speaker 4: Yeah, man.
[1:19:59] Speaker 3: That's on the wall in the Minnesota weight room.
[1:20:01] Speaker 4: That's in his locker room. That's in his locker room.
[1:20:03] Speaker 2: Hey, man. Live by this, brother. Yes. In the weight room, yeah.
[1:20:07] Speaker 4: He really lived by the Shailene Monk culture.
[1:20:11] Speaker 2: Take up for yourself, Wimby. No, for sure. I'm with you.
[1:20:14] Speaker 3: Because if that was Pop, Pop would have been got
[1:20:16] Speaker 3: attacked and thrown out.
[1:20:17] Speaker 2: Hell no.
[1:20:18] Speaker 3: Hell yeah, Pop would have been thrown out.
[1:20:19] Speaker 4: So there's no limit on talking trash, but it's a
[1:20:22] Speaker 4: limit on somebody fouling you. It's physical. Playing physical.
[1:20:26] Speaker 2: It's a limit on physicality. No, for real.
[1:20:31] Speaker 4: So if I keep touching it, that's what Dylan Brooks do.
[1:20:34] Speaker 2: Touch it. That get you mad. That get people mad, too. So,
[1:20:37] Speaker 2: you're saying that's what they was doing to women? Yes. No,
[1:20:39] Speaker 2: that's not.
[1:20:40] Speaker 5: Now, you being for real? Because when you do this
[1:20:42] Speaker 5: little posture thing, I know you lying. When you do
[1:20:45] Speaker 5: all that, I've been reading you.
[1:20:47] Speaker 2: I know you do a lot of shit where you're
[1:20:48] Speaker 2: just saying some shit. So, just make sure you're saying
[1:20:50] Speaker 2: it because we're going to play it back. So, just
[1:20:52] Speaker 2: touching them, just doing that.
[1:20:54] Speaker 4: See, you're saying that that's what they're doing. You're seven, eight,
[1:20:57] Speaker 4: nine foot when your arms is up with the ball.
[1:20:59] Speaker 2: You're going to get touched.
[1:21:00] Speaker 4: If I try to jump and get the ball, I'm
[1:21:02] Speaker 4: going to hit you. It's just you.
[1:21:05] Speaker 2: Tall as fuck.
[1:21:05] Speaker 5: You pushing me down to the ground with two hands
[1:21:08] Speaker 5: while I'm running.
[1:21:09] Speaker 2: Yes, bro. I have the video of the compilation of
[1:21:13] Speaker 2: fouls just this series, bro.
[1:21:15] Speaker 4: Everybody get fouled, bro. I've never seen LeBron get fouled.
[1:21:18] Speaker 4: He never elbowed with nobody like that.
[1:21:19] Speaker 2: Send the video. It's been a cumulative. LeBron not from France.
[1:21:23] Speaker 2: I know.
[1:21:24] Speaker 4: He know how to be a goat.
[1:21:26] Speaker 2: But Compton part of France. Yeah, so this is my life.
[1:21:28] Speaker 2: Compton part of France for sure. If they ain't going
[1:21:32] Speaker 2: to call this shit, guess what? I'm going to take
[1:21:35] Speaker 2: Madison to my own hand.
[1:21:37] Speaker 1: And that's what they named it. So now let's get
[1:21:40] Speaker 1: into some actual basketball. That was basketball. It was related.
[1:21:44] Speaker 1: I know you get suspended for that, though.
[1:21:46] Speaker 2: He not get suspended.
[1:21:47] Speaker 4: No, I'm not suspended, but kicked out the game. It's
[1:21:49] Speaker 4: track record. Flagrant 2, you've been in the league three
[1:21:52] Speaker 4: years and you didn't know what a flagrant was.
[1:21:54] Speaker 2: No, because they never, why? He ain't never got a
[1:21:57] Speaker 2: flagrant before.
[1:21:57] Speaker 4: So nobody ever got kicked out? He never watched somebody
[1:21:59] Speaker 4: get kicked out the game or a teammate got a flagrant?
[1:22:02] Speaker 2: He probably didn't understand. He probably seen some flagrant ones.
[1:22:07] Speaker 2: Not flagrant 2. For him to look up and ask
[1:22:09] Speaker 2: the question, what does that mean?
[1:22:10] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's crazy in another way, too.
[1:22:12] Speaker 2: Like, what does that mean?
[1:22:13] Speaker 4: What is a flagrant to?
[1:22:15] Speaker 2: So, Wolves took advantage of the Spurs being without Wimby.
[1:22:17] Speaker 6: And then when he told him, he didn't realize he
[1:22:20] Speaker 6: had to go to the locker room either because he
[1:22:21] Speaker 6: just sat there.
[1:22:22] Speaker 2: Because Harrison Barnes told him he just sat there. Right?
[1:22:24] Speaker 2: He said, you got to go to the locker room.
[1:22:26] Speaker 4: He was like, you mean I have to leave? Yeah.
[1:22:29] Speaker 2: You know why he started clapping?
[1:22:30] Speaker 4: Trimplings.
[1:22:31] Speaker 2: I sent a message to that.
[1:22:32] Speaker 4: Nigga, I'm sure.
[1:22:33] Speaker 2: What message? I sent a message to him. I called
[1:22:36] Speaker 2: him directly. 1-800-CALL-ATT. Have you ever used that? Get your
[1:22:44] Speaker 2: ass out of here. Watch out, little nigga. Don't do
[1:22:45] Speaker 2: that to me no more.
[1:22:47] Speaker 4: Like Drake said, he's not the guy.
[1:22:50] Speaker 2: The guy. I know guys.
[1:22:52] Speaker 4: I know guys. That's not the guy. I know guys.
[1:22:56] Speaker 4: I know guys. That's not the guy. I know guys.
[1:22:59] Speaker 2: Where the guys at? What guys? We do got guys.
[1:23:01] Speaker 4: I know the guys. You know the guys?
[1:23:03] Speaker 3: Yeah, I got guys.
[1:23:04] Speaker 4: What the fuck?
[1:23:07] Speaker 1: So we have one of Wimby's homies who's now pulled
[1:23:09] Speaker 1: up to the arena. To make sure that God's message
[1:23:13] Speaker 1: is accurately delivered.
[1:23:15] Speaker 2: I got guys, too. See, my guys is my guys.
[1:23:17] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:23:18] Speaker 2: He knew he don't know how to go behind.
[1:23:19] Speaker 4: Yeah, he know not to. He don't know how to
[1:23:21] Speaker 4: go behind.
[1:23:22] Speaker 2: It might have been your guy. I thought he was
[1:23:23] Speaker 2: coming to elbow you, but I'm glad. It might have
[1:23:25] Speaker 2: been your guy.
[1:23:27] Speaker 1: So, Wolves took advantage of the Spurs game without winning
[1:23:29] Speaker 1: for most of this one to get the comeback win.
[1:23:32] Speaker 1: Ant-Man had a second straight 30-piece. Highest scoring game this postseason.
[1:23:35] Speaker 1: Like we mentioned, 16 points in the fourth quarter, 36
[1:23:38] Speaker 1: in the game. So Ant lost his mom to cancer
[1:23:40] Speaker 1: back in 2015, said he wanted to win this game
[1:23:43] Speaker 1: for her. So we're actually looking at the actual basketball.
[1:23:46] Speaker 1: Wimby only played 12 minutes, getting ejected. What are your
[1:23:48] Speaker 1: biggest takeaways from the Wolves' Game 4 win over the
[1:23:50] Speaker 1: Spurs to tie this series going back to San Antonio?
[1:23:53] Speaker 6: Wimby not being out there was the biggest difference. They
[1:23:58] Speaker 6: were down in the fourth, had to come back to
[1:24:01] Speaker 6: beat them.
[1:24:02] Speaker 2: Still down eight without Wimby. That's the biggest thing for me.
[1:24:06] Speaker 4: The biggest thing for me, they don't have leadership on
[1:24:08] Speaker 4: that team yet.
[1:24:10] Speaker 2: What team?
[1:24:11] Speaker 4: San Antonio. You got to understand how important these games are.
[1:24:20] Speaker 4: Anything gives the other team an edge. Any small things
[1:24:24] Speaker 4: give the other team a bigger edge. You got to
[1:24:29] Speaker 4: understand the moment you win and to be the leader
[1:24:32] Speaker 4: of the team, a superstar, you can't put your teammates
[1:24:35] Speaker 4: in jeopardy in situations like that if you're trying to
[1:24:38] Speaker 4: win a championship.
[1:24:39] Speaker 3: Well, they have another superstar that y'all said over there, D-Fox,
[1:24:42] Speaker 3: that went.
[1:24:43] Speaker 2: He tried. He shot 8 for 23. Yeah.
[1:24:46] Speaker 3: So, you know, I mean, you know, so there's other
[1:24:49] Speaker 3: superstars over there that you guys said.
[1:24:50] Speaker 4: No, but he's not the guy. The guy is.
[1:24:54] Speaker 3: But is he a superstar?
[1:24:56] Speaker 4: You guys said he was a superstar. He's not the guy.
[1:24:59] Speaker 4: Is LeBron James a superstar?
[1:25:01] Speaker 2: He's a megastar.
[1:25:02] Speaker 4: Megastar. For sure. Megastar. And Luka's the number one option.
[1:25:09] Speaker 4: that's fine that's the same thing that's what I'm.
[1:25:14] Speaker 5: Saying that was a good one finally what?
[1:25:19] Speaker 4: You confused me and you my friend wait what?
[1:25:26] Speaker 2: You trying to get me in the back you trying
[1:25:28] Speaker 2: to get me in the.
[1:25:29] Speaker 4: Back no but what I'm saying no.
[1:25:32] Speaker 3: But what I'm saying is Wimby is a mega star
[1:25:36] Speaker 3: and you said that he's a superstar right?
[1:25:39] Speaker 2: Who? D-Fox.
[1:25:42] Speaker 4: I don't know what I said no more.
[1:25:43] Speaker 3: Okay. But you said D-Fox was a superstar on this couch, though.
[1:25:47] Speaker 2: He went 8-23.
[1:25:48] Speaker 3: So they do have some type of leadership.
[1:25:49] Speaker 2: I mean, Mr.
[1:25:50] Speaker 4: Clutch.
[1:25:50] Speaker 3: They still had a chance.
[1:25:53] Speaker 2: Winby is the leader of that team.
[1:25:55] Speaker 3: Yeah, but they still had a chance to win the game.
[1:25:56] Speaker 3: Their defense kept them in it. It's just that Ant-Man went.
[1:26:02] Speaker 3: He had 16 in the fourth.
[1:26:03] Speaker 4: And he did what he was supposed to do as
[1:26:04] Speaker 4: a leader of that team. That's what I'm saying.
[1:26:08] Speaker 3: But isn't a clutch player in the fourth quarter supposed
[1:26:11] Speaker 3: to be.
[1:26:13] Speaker 2: That?
[1:26:13] Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just saying. I'm just going by what
[1:26:15] Speaker 3: y'all said. Y'all said that he was a superstar. Y'all
[1:26:17] Speaker 3: said Dee Fox is a superstar. So he went 8
[1:26:19] Speaker 3: for 23. We said Donovan Mitchell is, too. We ain't
[1:26:21] Speaker 3: got there yet. Yeah, I mean, we can't. I mean,
[1:26:23] Speaker 3: he had 43 last night. I mean, he had 43
[1:26:26] Speaker 3: the other night. He had 43 the other night. That
[1:26:29] Speaker 3: looked like a superstar.
[1:26:29] Speaker 2: He's averaging 30 for the series. I mean, I'm just saying.
[1:26:32] Speaker 2: Who's averaging 30?
[1:26:32] Speaker 5: Donovan Mitchell. Yeah, but he's a superstar too, but we
[1:26:36] Speaker 5: put them in the same category. But, I mean, D-Fox
[1:26:39] Speaker 5: not playing that well right now as a superstar.
[1:26:41] Speaker 2: So, serious high 2-2 back in San Antonio.
[1:26:43] Speaker 3: When are we going to see it? I mean, for y'all,
[1:26:45] Speaker 3: I like D-Fox, but y'all said he's a superstar. So,
[1:26:48] Speaker 3: when are we going to see a game like that?
[1:26:49] Speaker 3: When are we going to see a 43? When are
[1:26:51] Speaker 3: we going to take over? Y'all said he's a superstar,
[1:26:54] Speaker 3: so be a superstar. I saw Donovan Mitchell the other night, 43.
[1:26:57] Speaker 3: You said Devin Booker was a superstar.
[1:27:00] Speaker 2: Did he do that? He got swept. He got swept.
[1:27:02] Speaker 2: He's still a superstar.
[1:27:03] Speaker 4: It's the same thing.
[1:27:04] Speaker 3: It's the same thing.
[1:27:07] Speaker 2: What? He got swept.
[1:27:09] Speaker 3: No, he gets hit. He gets hit.
[1:27:11] Speaker 2: Left hook, right hook.
[1:27:12] Speaker 3: No, D-Book is more a superstar than.
[1:27:15] Speaker 4: So should it make it worse then?
[1:27:17] Speaker 2: That he got swept? He got swept by the best
[1:27:19] Speaker 2: team in the NBA. He got swept by the best
[1:27:21] Speaker 2: team in the NBA. He didn't have no 43s.
[1:27:23] Speaker 3: He got swept by the best team in the NBA.
[1:27:25] Speaker 2: He averaged damn near the same amount of points.
[1:27:29] Speaker 3: He got swept by the best team in the NBA,
[1:27:30] Speaker 3: and they was double teaming him all night. Did we
[1:27:35] Speaker 3: not watch it?
[1:27:36] Speaker 2: And he wasn't a leading team.
[1:27:38] Speaker 4: Devin Booker wasn't a leading scorer on his team that series, though.
[1:27:42] Speaker 3: They were trapping Devin Booker every time down.
[1:27:45] Speaker 4: But you're a superstar.
[1:27:46] Speaker 2: You're supposed to. Back to what currently happened, right? That's
[1:27:49] Speaker 2: what you're saying.
[1:27:49] Speaker 3: Were they trapping D-Fox last night?
[1:27:52] Speaker 4: You're saying you're supposed to get it done. He didn't
[1:27:54] Speaker 4: get one game done.
[1:27:55] Speaker 3: Y'all said he was a superstar. I'm just going by
[1:27:57] Speaker 3: what the fuck y'all said.
[1:27:58] Speaker 4: Y'all said he was a superstar.
[1:28:01] Speaker 1: Back to teams currently in the playoffs. Back to this
[1:28:03] Speaker 1: Wolfsburg series. Which team is under more pressure as the
[1:28:05] Speaker 1: series shifts back to San Antonio for game five?
[1:28:08] Speaker 2: San Antonio.
[1:28:09] Speaker 4: San Antonio.
[1:28:10] Speaker 3: They got home court advantage. And the way that Ant
[1:28:15] Speaker 3: was looking in that fourth quarter was 16 on two
[1:28:18] Speaker 3: bad knees.
[1:28:19] Speaker 5: Something really bothers me with the way that Spurs play
[1:28:22] Speaker 5: the pick and roll, though. They keep going over the
[1:28:25] Speaker 5: top on Ant, man. And that motherfucking screen is set
[1:28:28] Speaker 5: so high that he's coming off that bitch to shoot
[1:28:30] Speaker 5: that three. He's got a lot of his momentum last
[1:28:32] Speaker 5: night on just them going over top of the screen, man.
[1:28:37] Speaker 5: They ain't never going under that bitch. Make them do
[1:28:40] Speaker 5: the double screen.
[1:28:40] Speaker 2: That shit is weird.
[1:28:42] Speaker 5: I wish they fixed that. If they don't do that,
[1:28:44] Speaker 5: he don't go off for 16. He got a lot
[1:28:46] Speaker 5: of momentum on that pick and roll and how they
[1:28:48] Speaker 5: play it, but if they can change that, I feel
[1:28:51] Speaker 5: like it'll change some shit.
[1:28:54] Speaker 2: You're a better team.
[1:28:57] Speaker 6: Playing The kid Carter Bryant at the five and just
[1:29:02] Speaker 6: switching that shit, man.
[1:29:04] Speaker 2: Because that drop coverage is fucking him up. Because Cornette,
[1:29:08] Speaker 2: he's fucking terrible. Man.
[1:29:09] Speaker 6: Like, I don't know what his, he ain't a rim protector.
[1:29:12] Speaker 6: He ain't, he's just, he's serviceable when Wimby need a
[1:29:17] Speaker 6: spell doing games.
[1:29:18] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:29:19] Speaker 6: Not when shit matters. Watching that shit, he's in drop.
[1:29:22] Speaker 6: He just ain't going to get any shot he want. J.
[1:29:25] Speaker 6: McDaniels get any shot he want when he out there.
[1:29:28] Speaker 6: you're better off playing small where you can do some
[1:29:30] Speaker 6: different things. You can trap, rotate fast. You can switch it.
[1:29:33] Speaker 6: You can do different things other than keep playing the
[1:29:37] Speaker 6: shit the way that you're playing, to your point.
[1:29:40] Speaker 5: They're thinking about rebounding, too, because Rudy down there. But
[1:29:43] Speaker 5: I feel like gang rebound. Gang rebound, man. That's going
[1:29:46] Speaker 5: to be on the scouting report on the board. We
[1:29:48] Speaker 5: must rebound the ball all five of us.
[1:29:50] Speaker 2: And if you're in a bad way. Take foul. Take one.
[1:29:54] Speaker 2: Take foul.
[1:29:54] Speaker 6: If you're in a bad way. I'd rather Rudy getting
[1:29:59] Speaker 6: that motherfucker off the glass than Ant motherfucking out there
[1:30:01] Speaker 6: shooting wide.
[1:30:02] Speaker 2: For sure. Getting too comfortable in the fourth. Because Rudy
[1:30:05] Speaker 2: will throw that bitch out in a minute. Yeah.
[1:30:07] Speaker 6: He'll have an offensive rebound and dunk. He'll throw that
[1:30:09] Speaker 6: motherfucker out. So I'd rather him thinking in the moments. But, yeah,
[1:30:15] Speaker 6: they ain't the way they play the pick.
[1:30:16] Speaker 2: And roll at times. So we will see what happens
[1:30:19] Speaker 2: in game five. Yeah, but all of them, in my opinion,
[1:30:21] Speaker 2: the pressure's on the Spurs to win at home.
[1:30:23] Speaker 4: Fuck yeah.
[1:30:23] Speaker 2: They better not fucking lose. Can't lose and go to
[1:30:27] Speaker 2: Minnesota down a game. With your season on the line.
[1:30:30] Speaker 4: Your man's.
[1:30:30] Speaker 2: It's a good series, though. Ant-Man. It is. It's a
[1:30:33] Speaker 2: good series. Face of the league. You got to get
[1:30:35] Speaker 2: this one, though.
[1:30:36] Speaker 3: Ant-Man on two bad knees out there carrying.
[1:30:39] Speaker 2: Ant-Man has to get this one. Nah, they don't. Them
[1:30:41] Speaker 2: knees look fine to me.
[1:30:42] Speaker 4: A lot of those will be dunks.
[1:30:43] Speaker 2: Them knees look fine to me. A lot of those
[1:30:45] Speaker 2: will be dunks.
[1:30:46] Speaker 3: Them knees look like I'm pushing through.
[1:30:47] Speaker 2: I'm pushing through. Because when he going to the hole,
[1:30:49] Speaker 2: he like this.
[1:30:51] Speaker 3: Them knees look like I'm pushing through right now.
[1:30:53] Speaker 4: Come on, man. You seen how he down there jumped
[1:30:55] Speaker 4: over with Collins' head. He ain't did one of those yet.
[1:30:59] Speaker 4: He didn't do one of those last year. Shit.
[1:31:02] Speaker 2: That was two years ago.
[1:31:05] Speaker 4: You see how many open lanes he had and he
[1:31:07] Speaker 4: laying it up? Hey, man, he tied. No, not to say.
[1:31:10] Speaker 4: What you mean? He tied.
[1:31:12] Speaker 2: It's that landing shit.
[1:31:14] Speaker 4: Yeah, boy. It ain't the jumping.
[1:31:16] Speaker 2: It ain't the jumping that do it. It's the motherfucking landing.
[1:31:20] Speaker 4: If you see his leg, that motherfucker.
[1:31:22] Speaker 1: Shift back over to the Eastern Conference. Talk about another
[1:31:26] Speaker 1: series that came to its conclusion. Knicks put belt to
[1:31:28] Speaker 1: ass on the Sixers one last time to sweep their
[1:31:31] Speaker 1: second round series. What felt like a home game after
[1:31:34] Speaker 1: Knicks fans took over the Sixers arena once again in
[1:31:37] Speaker 1: the playoffs. New York tied an NBA postseason record with
[1:31:40] Speaker 1: 25 three-pointers, including a record 11 in the first quarter
[1:31:44] Speaker 1: to help get the 30-point win. Deuce McBride filled in
[1:31:46] Speaker 1: for the injured O.J. Ananobi and led New York with
[1:31:48] Speaker 1: a team-high 25 points, hitting seven threes in the game.
[1:31:51] Speaker 1: Jalen Brunton added 22. The Big Bodega Cat had 17
[1:31:54] Speaker 1: in 10 assists, and Josh Hart also had 17 points
[1:31:57] Speaker 1: in the series clinching win. The Knicks have now won
[1:32:00] Speaker 1: seven straight playoff games to make their second straight Eastern
[1:32:03] Speaker 1: Conference Finals. This is the Knicks' first best-of-seven sweep since 1999,
[1:32:09] Speaker 1: which was the same year they made their last Finals appearance.
[1:32:12] Speaker 1: And their plus 19.4 point-per-game margin through two rounds is
[1:32:16] Speaker 1: the largest since the field expanded to 16 teams in 1984.
[1:32:18] Speaker 2: Mr. B.
[1:32:21] Speaker 1: Looking at this Knicks squad, what are your biggest takeaways
[1:32:23] Speaker 1: from the Knicks coming through, sweeping the Sixers, taking over
[1:32:27] Speaker 1: Philadelphia in the process?
[1:32:31] Speaker 3: Shout out Mike Brown and shout out Cat. Ever since
[1:32:37] Speaker 3: Mike Brown has put Cat in the playmaking role, if
[1:32:42] Speaker 3: you look at Cat's playoff series before he got with
[1:32:45] Speaker 3: the Knicks, he was only averaging two assists. Now he's
[1:32:47] Speaker 3: averaging eight. I think that's one of the biggest differences
[1:32:50] Speaker 3: right there that The fact that he's making plays, you know, Jalen,
[1:32:56] Speaker 3: you know, Jalen Brunson, you know, last year, he was
[1:32:59] Speaker 3: a lot of his points came from like 70 or
[1:33:02] Speaker 3: 80 percent just off him. Isles now is like 50
[1:33:04] Speaker 3: percent because the ball's moving more. Guys are cutting OG bridges.
[1:33:09] Speaker 3: Everybody there. They're just playing well. But I want to
[1:33:12] Speaker 3: I want to shout out Cat in this in this
[1:33:13] Speaker 3: success on this one, the team for sure.
[1:33:15] Speaker 2: But.
[1:33:16] Speaker 3: Cat being up there making plays and still being able
[1:33:18] Speaker 3: to do what he do has been, I think, the difference.
[1:33:21] Speaker 3: I mean, so if you go look back at his
[1:33:22] Speaker 3: playoffs before he got there, he was averaging two assists.
[1:33:26] Speaker 3: Now he's averaging almost eight, and I think that's been
[1:33:28] Speaker 3: the biggest difference.
[1:33:30] Speaker 1: So let's shift over to this side. Kenyon looking at
[1:33:32] Speaker 1: these New York Knicks sweeping the series. Another dominant performance
[1:33:37] Speaker 1: in a series clincher game, 30-point win after they smacked
[1:33:40] Speaker 1: the Hawks in the first round to advance, now reaching
[1:33:44] Speaker 1: their second straight Eastern Conference Finals.
[1:33:46] Speaker 6: Yeah, I stated when they went down 2-1 to Atlanta
[1:33:50] Speaker 6: that I didn't trust the Knicks, just from the play
[1:33:53] Speaker 6: from the first three games of the series and what
[1:33:56] Speaker 6: their history has been the last couple years. But as
[1:34:01] Speaker 6: the playoffs has gotten deeper into the playoffs, yeah, they
[1:34:06] Speaker 6: found their stride defensively, passing the ball and shooting the
[1:34:10] Speaker 6: ball well, having historic games on the offensive end on
[1:34:14] Speaker 6: the game against Atlanta. that game, a couple games against Philly.
[1:34:19] Speaker 6: But to Brandon's point, Jalen Brunson doesn't have to do
[1:34:23] Speaker 6: as much. I think they have enough guys. They finally
[1:34:27] Speaker 6: realized they have enough guys that can play, and he
[1:34:30] Speaker 6: doesn't have to have the ball in his hand 85%
[1:34:32] Speaker 6: of the time in order to be effective. A lot
[1:34:37] Speaker 6: more catch-and-shoot opportunities for him. Shoots the ball well from
[1:34:39] Speaker 6: the perimeter. Jalen Brunson, that is. And other guys are
[1:34:42] Speaker 6: finding their niche, man.
[1:34:43] Speaker 2: Like.
[1:34:45] Speaker 6: When that ball is moving, your confidence grows. You know
[1:34:49] Speaker 6: you're going to get looks. You make yourself available even more.
[1:34:54] Speaker 6: When you're not just standing over in the corner hoping
[1:34:55] Speaker 6: and wishing that Jalen Brunson finds you. Yeah, it's the
[1:35:00] Speaker 6: offense that Mike Brown has implemented.
[1:35:03] Speaker 2: And the Knicks believe.
[1:35:05] Speaker 6: They believe that they can compete now with the best
[1:35:07] Speaker 6: teams and they're going out displaying it. Yeah, they were
[1:35:12] Speaker 6: always going to defend. Being down a guy, getting this
[1:35:18] Speaker 6: series over with early. Don't know how long OG Ananobi
[1:35:22] Speaker 6: is going to be out, but this helps. You don't like,
[1:35:26] Speaker 6: same thing with Jalen Williams thing, you don't risk further
[1:35:28] Speaker 6: injury with anyone else because you're not playing games. So
[1:35:31] Speaker 6: it gives him opportunity to get some more healthy than
[1:35:34] Speaker 6: he is now and hopefully get him back sooner than later.
[1:35:37] Speaker 6: Because he can't help, but now the Knicks are playing well.
[1:35:41] Speaker 6: And to sweep second round, with the hampered Philly team. Yeah,
[1:35:48] Speaker 6: big up to the Knicks. But I didn't think– yeah,
[1:35:52] Speaker 6: Joel getting him out of the first round was helpful.
[1:35:55] Speaker 6: It just looked terrible in the second round, man. I
[1:35:57] Speaker 6: think they would have been a better team without having to–
[1:35:59] Speaker 6: trying to force him– force the issue with him. You know,
[1:36:03] Speaker 6: you get to play different when he's not out there.
[1:36:07] Speaker 6: But he was, and the Knicks did exactly what they
[1:36:10] Speaker 6: had to do. put him in picking roles, explored that injury,
[1:36:13] Speaker 6: explored him on the defensive side of the ball, and
[1:36:16] Speaker 6: they made him defend Cat, which we knew that he couldn't.
[1:36:19] Speaker 2: So, at least a 4-0.
[1:36:21] Speaker 1: How about you, Swaggy?
[1:36:25] Speaker 2: How about you?
[1:36:25] Speaker 1: So, biggest segue from the Knicks sweeping the Sixers to
[1:36:28] Speaker 1: advance to their second straight Eastern Conference Finals.
[1:36:30] Speaker 4: I would say confidence and to BJ and Case, what
[1:36:35] Speaker 4: they were saying, coaching, ball movement, everybody getting confidence that
[1:36:40] Speaker 4: bring energy to the team. And I feel like they
[1:36:44] Speaker 4: feel like they can make it to the finals for real. Um,
[1:36:47] Speaker 4: they wasn't playing with their food. They took care of business, uh,
[1:36:52] Speaker 4: giving other people's opportunity off the bench. Mike Brown happened
[1:36:56] Speaker 4: to deal with, you know, the friendships and everybody else
[1:37:00] Speaker 4: putting the Eagles to the side for one goal. I
[1:37:04] Speaker 4: feel like that's working now. Um, it takes a lot.
[1:37:07] Speaker 4: It takes a lot, uh, Just dealing with superstars and
[1:37:12] Speaker 4: especially when you got teammates that have been best friends.
[1:37:16] Speaker 4: And now Mike Brown was talking about benching somebody. He
[1:37:19] Speaker 4: wanted to play other guys more. And for Bridges and
[1:37:22] Speaker 4: all of them to buy in and heart and continue
[1:37:25] Speaker 4: to play and not lose confidence, that's a sign of
[1:37:30] Speaker 4: a good team. For real, man. I feel like Embiid did.
[1:37:39] Speaker 4: He probably just don't like Boston. And once Boston lost,
[1:37:43] Speaker 4: it gave New York more confidence. I feel like that
[1:37:47] Speaker 4: was the team they felt that could beat them. And
[1:37:49] Speaker 4: when they went down, the only thing that was going
[1:37:52] Speaker 4: to stop them was just waiting. Because I feel like
[1:37:55] Speaker 4: Detroit and Cleveland are going to go seven.
[1:37:59] Speaker 3: You know, the Knicks are the only team since 1986
[1:38:03] Speaker 3: to put up multiple 140-point games in the playoffs.
[1:38:07] Speaker 4: They beat a team by 50 down there.
[1:38:09] Speaker 3: That's a lot.
[1:38:10] Speaker 4: That's a lot.
[1:38:12] Speaker 1: Whipped the Hawks ass. Whipped the Sixers ass. Basically had
[1:38:15] Speaker 1: four home games.
[1:38:16] Speaker 4: Not playing. And a fan base. It's amazing.
[1:38:20] Speaker 2: I don't think it's Boston.
[1:38:21] Speaker 3: I think it's just matchups. My thing is they just
[1:38:23] Speaker 3: don't match up well. I mean, Embiid slows them down.
[1:38:27] Speaker 3: But Boston could have did that. Because Maxie, I mean, Maxie. BJ,
[1:38:30] Speaker 3: they struggled this whole series. They shot low from the three.
[1:38:35] Speaker 3: He struggled. Maxie struggled in the half-court offense.
[1:38:40] Speaker 1: I have a question for you before we continue. I'm
[1:38:42] Speaker 1: looking at the flowers. Did you get those on a
[1:38:44] Speaker 1: manager special?
[1:38:45] Speaker 2: Get the reduced. The reduced? Okay. Shout out to Ralph's. Yeah.
[1:38:49] Speaker 2: For those that know. Don't give me the fresh ones.
[1:38:53] Speaker 2: The fresh ones. The Mother's Day. The ones I can
[1:38:55] Speaker 2: take off the floor. That's fair. That's fair. Honorable man.
[1:38:59] Speaker 2: They were headed towards the trash anyway, buddy. Three days
[1:39:01] Speaker 2: of life left. No, no, no. They got like 30 minutes.
[1:39:04] Speaker 5: They still got that tag on it.
[1:39:09] Speaker 2: Yeah, the tag with the red on it. We about
[1:39:11] Speaker 2: to get rid of these shits.
[1:39:13] Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no.
[1:39:13] Speaker 2: Let me get them.
[1:39:14] Speaker 5: Let me get them. Just get some scissors, cut around.
[1:39:16] Speaker 5: That's it, man. Some work going to appreciate it. There
[1:39:20] Speaker 5: is work.
[1:39:21] Speaker 2: Just let me go on record and say this, man.
[1:39:24] Speaker 5: There was a lot of conversation the last couple of years,
[1:39:26] Speaker 5: I would say, at least the last two years of
[1:39:28] Speaker 5: Jalen Brunson not being who he needs to be for
[1:39:31] Speaker 5: the New York Knicks to be who they need to be.
[1:39:34] Speaker 5: And I'm going to tell you right now, Jalen Brunson
[1:39:36] Speaker 5: is one hell of a fucking basketball player. He's a
[1:39:40] Speaker 5: lot better than people think. And I think the comparison
[1:39:44] Speaker 5: between him and SGA is fair. When you talk about
[1:39:47] Speaker 5: getting your shot off, you're talking about being composed. You
[1:39:50] Speaker 5: know exactly how to take over the game when they
[1:39:52] Speaker 5: need it. He hits timely shots. And them shits is
[1:39:56] Speaker 5: bottom every time. And because he's left-handed, it looks a
[1:39:59] Speaker 5: little awkward. But I'm watching his game in detail and
[1:40:03] Speaker 5: breaking it down and watching like, yo, this dude is really, really,
[1:40:07] Speaker 5: really good. And because he's 6'2, we don't want to
[1:40:10] Speaker 5: give him credit that he's going to be able to
[1:40:11] Speaker 5: take them to the finals. This is his second straight
[1:40:17] Speaker 5: conference finals for the.
[1:40:20] Speaker 2: New York Knicks.
[1:40:22] Speaker 5: Who I had to give up because of Josh Hart,
[1:40:24] Speaker 5: and I'm still going to blame you until the end
[1:40:26] Speaker 5: because I can't go back to the Knicks no more.
[1:40:28] Speaker 5: You can't undo the thumb. But the rule of thumb
[1:40:32] Speaker 5: is don't do the thumb, okay?
[1:40:34] Speaker 2: Thumb to the tootie. We're not doing no more thumbs,
[1:40:37] Speaker 2: all right?
[1:40:38] Speaker 5: But look, they still prove that they can overcome what's
[1:40:44] Speaker 5: on paper to be a good team in Philadelphia.
[1:40:48] Speaker 2: But you're not giving them a thumbs up.
[1:40:50] Speaker 5: They showed up. They showed up and they actually proved
[1:40:54] Speaker 5: to be the better team. Cat showed up and said,
[1:40:59] Speaker 5: I'm going to take this match up and be personal.
[1:41:03] Speaker 5: They didn't fight like we thought it was going to
[1:41:05] Speaker 5: be like a heavyweight fight. But he did, like you said,
[1:41:07] Speaker 5: with the eight assists, he actually showed up in a
[1:41:10] Speaker 5: different manner with the team needing him more to be
[1:41:13] Speaker 5: a facilitator. than just going at and be every single play.
[1:41:17] Speaker 5: And you've seen the difference with the way that Josh
[1:41:20] Speaker 5: Hart and Mikael Bridges played this last game in comparison
[1:41:25] Speaker 5: to when OG plays.
[1:41:26] Speaker 2: They have two different teams.
[1:41:28] Speaker 5: McBride, he didn't have a good game all series until
[1:41:32] Speaker 5: this last game simply because OG's out. And now I
[1:41:34] Speaker 5: have to step up and do what I do. Kudos
[1:41:37] Speaker 5: to him for being ready next man up. Landry Shammott
[1:41:40] Speaker 5: showed up like he always does and going to hit shots.
[1:41:43] Speaker 5: But I think they scrappy the whole series and played
[1:41:46] Speaker 5: great defense. The difference with Philly is I got to
[1:41:50] Speaker 5: blame Tyrese and Maxie. Tyrese and Maxie showed that he
[1:41:54] Speaker 5: can turn it on and turn it off depending on
[1:41:56] Speaker 5: who's on the court with him. He does not like
[1:41:59] Speaker 5: playing with Joel Embiid.
[1:42:01] Speaker 2: This was obvious.
[1:42:02] Speaker 4: Was it? It was a better defense.
[1:42:05] Speaker 5: The energy when he played game two against Boston, he
[1:42:10] Speaker 5: with him and vj was going crazy no mb we
[1:42:13] Speaker 5: don't have to slow the game down we just going
[1:42:16] Speaker 5: you see an mb on the floor he missed what
[1:42:18] Speaker 5: was the first game he missed um in new york
[1:42:21] Speaker 5: was it game two in new york game two he
[1:42:23] Speaker 5: missed them guys he had 26 i believe tyrese max
[1:42:27] Speaker 5: he showed.
[1:42:28] Speaker 4: Up he was cooking boston though.
[1:42:31] Speaker 5: So when mb comes back he slowed the game down
[1:42:34] Speaker 5: all those guys got to play off him and he
[1:42:36] Speaker 5: stops the ball he does all this iso shit And
[1:42:39] Speaker 5: it's not conducive to the momentum of the team. Paul
[1:42:44] Speaker 5: George don't get off as much. Kelly Oubre don't get
[1:42:47] Speaker 5: as many touches. And that's just going to be the
[1:42:50] Speaker 5: detriment of the team.
[1:42:51] Speaker 4: Think about it. They was hooping against Boston. Could it
[1:42:55] Speaker 4: just be better defenders? Like Josh Hart could be a
[1:42:58] Speaker 4: better defender than Derek White. Because Maxie was cooking Derek
[1:43:04] Speaker 4: White ass.
[1:43:06] Speaker 2: But we have a better scheme than Boston did.
[1:43:08] Speaker 4: Exactly.
[1:43:09] Speaker 2: And our coaches are a little different.
[1:43:12] Speaker 4: Is he better, though, than Mike Brown? Are you sure
[1:43:16] Speaker 4: he's better than him?
[1:43:16] Speaker 3: I mean, listen, man. He basically put Cat in the
[1:43:18] Speaker 3: Draymond role and was like, yo, you be the playmaker.
[1:43:23] Speaker 2: Especially if Embiid going to be playing back.
[1:43:27] Speaker 3: So it's like, I mean, and you can score better.
[1:43:29] Speaker 2: So, huh, huh. Like.
[1:43:33] Speaker 5: Mitchell go in there and do what you do. They
[1:43:34] Speaker 5: ain't got no backup for this.
[1:43:36] Speaker 3: This is light work right here.
[1:43:38] Speaker 4: Because they had Embiid for them last three games too
[1:43:44] Speaker 4: that they won against Boston.
[1:43:46] Speaker 5: But they lost the first game with them and then
[1:43:49] Speaker 5: won the second game.
[1:43:51] Speaker 3: But also Boston helped them. They shot themselves up again.
[1:43:55] Speaker 3: They kept shooting so many threes. Embiid killed them the
[1:43:57] Speaker 3: second game. But then they just kept shooting threes. This one,
[1:44:01] Speaker 3: they not playing like that. Like, this is... Like you said,
[1:44:05] Speaker 3: he got Brunson over there. He got Cat over here, Diamond. Like,
[1:44:08] Speaker 3: Cat was averaging two assists. Now he's averaging eight. Bro,
[1:44:10] Speaker 3: you know, that's... That's a lot of points off of him.
[1:44:12] Speaker 4: But I'm saying Maxie still was going for 30s and
[1:44:14] Speaker 4: he was cooking.
[1:44:15] Speaker 3: Because we got to slow it down now because we
[1:44:17] Speaker 3: got more... See, see... New York, they're not coming down
[1:44:20] Speaker 3: shooting threes. We're coming down running off Boston you can
[1:44:25] Speaker 3: be able to come out and do that because they
[1:44:26] Speaker 3: shoot so many threes max.
[1:44:27] Speaker 2: Again thing and let's go. Yeah Now right here.
[1:44:30] Speaker 3: We just packing.
[1:44:31] Speaker 4: I was asked who is they is it that New
[1:44:33] Speaker 4: York had better defenders than Boston? That's why I'm boss.
[1:44:37] Speaker 4: Yeah Is this just the offense that they should.
[1:44:40] Speaker 3: They got better defenders and their coach better?
[1:44:43] Speaker 2: More season more experience.
[1:44:45] Speaker 3: I think Mike Brown is a better coach than Joe.
[1:44:47] Speaker 4: Then a team that won a championship?
[1:44:48] Speaker 3: I mean, you won a championship doing the same thing
[1:44:50] Speaker 3: y'all did and go to state. Shoot threes. They took
[1:44:53] Speaker 3: the same formula. They shot more threes than everybody. All
[1:44:56] Speaker 3: they did was do the same thing, go to state.
[1:44:58] Speaker 3: They didn't do nothing different. Now that shit is catching up.
[1:45:01] Speaker 4: No. Mm-hmm.
[1:45:03] Speaker 2: Okay. For sure. Live by the three, die by the three.
[1:45:06] Speaker 4: You just said you live and die by the three?
[1:45:09] Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean... You didn't watch... I mean, look who
[1:45:11] Speaker 3: y'all have, but what I'm saying is they got Derek
[1:45:14] Speaker 3: White and guys shooting threes. That ain't Klay Thompson. That
[1:45:17] Speaker 3: ain't them guys out there with them. They was able
[1:45:20] Speaker 3: to live by the three and die in one, but
[1:45:22] Speaker 3: now look what's happening. Now when you slow that shit down, nah, man,
[1:45:25] Speaker 3: you can just keep shooting.
[1:45:27] Speaker 5: Brunson deserves some credit for sure. I'm going to give.
[1:45:30] Speaker 4: Him, got to give him. You got to give him.
[1:45:32] Speaker 4: I'm just asking if they got better defenders.
[1:45:34] Speaker 3: I'm giving Cat, man, because Cat was getting shitted on
[1:45:37] Speaker 3: for a lot of shit, and now he's I'm telling you, bro,
[1:45:40] Speaker 3: he's the playmaker right now.
[1:45:44] Speaker 6: You put him in that Sabonis role, man, that he had,
[1:45:46] Speaker 6: that Mike Brown had.
[1:45:48] Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds like exactly what it is, too. It's
[1:45:51] Speaker 2: a perfect analogy. Yeah, he was playing that Sabonis role. Bones, Draymond,
[1:45:55] Speaker 2: same thing.
[1:45:58] Speaker 5: The dribble handoff. He's doing a lot of dribble handoffs.
[1:46:01] Speaker 5: He can keep it and dunk it.
[1:46:04] Speaker 3: He's just a better, you know, he can score better.
[1:46:05] Speaker 4: He's a better scorer for sure.
[1:46:06] Speaker 2: And you got to play up on Cat because he
[1:46:08] Speaker 2: can shoot that big. You got to play up on him.
[1:46:10] Speaker 6: And he's quicker than the bigs that he was playing. Well, Joel,
[1:46:12] Speaker 6: he's quicker than Joel. He's smarter than Bona.
[1:46:14] Speaker 4: Yep.
[1:46:15] Speaker 6: Quicker than Drummond. So he had an advantage. Cat had
[1:46:19] Speaker 6: a major advantage in that series.
[1:46:21] Speaker 5: They didn't use him to that advantage. They just kind
[1:46:24] Speaker 5: of let him facilitate. But he wasn't really being aggressive.
[1:46:27] Speaker 3: I think the same thing will happen if they play Detroit.
[1:46:31] Speaker 3: Cleveland might be a little different. Because Mobley can... Jared
[1:46:36] Speaker 3: came up too.
[1:46:37] Speaker 4: I know what I'm saying.
[1:46:38] Speaker 3: They both can move.
[1:46:39] Speaker 4: So that'll be a little different.
[1:46:41] Speaker 3: It just depends on who they play the next round.
[1:46:44] Speaker 2: That's the difference.
[1:46:44] Speaker 3: If they play Cleveland, they might have a little trouble.
[1:46:47] Speaker 6: Cleveland better prefer to play Detroit. I mean, New York,
[1:46:52] Speaker 6: they prefer to play Detroit right now.
[1:46:55] Speaker 2: Detroit limited.
[1:46:57] Speaker 3: That's why I said Cleveland got the mobile bigs.
[1:47:01] Speaker 2: Detroit looked tired, bro. Not even the whole team.
[1:47:05] Speaker 4: Kayla.
[1:47:06] Speaker 2: Kayla's like, God damn, I got to stop both of them.
[1:47:10] Speaker 2: What are we doing? We, what are we doing? Shit, man.
[1:47:13] Speaker 4: I'm about to count this.
[1:47:14] Speaker 2: Let's shift over to that Cavs- Balls start going. Pistons series.
[1:47:17] Speaker 1: So Pistons will control the series after the first two games.
[1:47:20] Speaker 1: Holding down home court to take a 2-0 lead, but
[1:47:22] Speaker 1: the Cavs responded in game three. Donovan Mitchell dropping 35
[1:47:25] Speaker 1: points and 10 rebounds. James Harden getting over his turnover issues,
[1:47:28] Speaker 1: had 19 and 7 assists with some big buckets in
[1:47:31] Speaker 1: the fourth quarter to shut down a late rally by Detroit.
[1:47:34] Speaker 2: Cleveland looking to avoid going down 3-1 in game four.
[1:47:38] Speaker 2: Donovan Mitchell had.
[1:47:38] Speaker 1: Just four points in the first half after the Cavs
[1:47:41] Speaker 1: trailed by four at the break, but Spider made history
[1:47:44] Speaker 1: in the second half to help even the series. Let's
[1:47:46] Speaker 1: take a look at the highlights if we can. Please,
[1:47:48] Speaker 1: he's out here doing his thing. So the Cavs started
[1:47:52] Speaker 1: the third quarter with a 22-0 run. 22-0 run to
[1:47:57] Speaker 1: start this third quarter. A spider put the team on
[1:48:00] Speaker 1: his back, scoring 15 of his game-high 43 points during
[1:48:03] Speaker 1: that stretch while tying an NBA playoff record with 39 points.
[1:48:07] Speaker 2: In the second half.
[1:48:10] Speaker 4: He's supposed to get back.
[1:48:11] Speaker 2: He was supposed to be a hedge and get back.
[1:48:12] Speaker 4: Yeah, a hedge and get back.
[1:48:14] Speaker 3: He's supposed to.
[1:48:15] Speaker 4: I'm not going this way.
[1:48:18] Speaker 2: Same says Shane Wiggins. last night on.
[1:48:21] Speaker 1: So 22-0 stretch and starts the third was actually a
[1:48:23] Speaker 1: 24-0 stretch to go back into the second quarter. Cavs
[1:48:27] Speaker 1: outscored the Pistons 38-21 in the third frame to.
[1:48:31] Speaker 3: Take control of the game.
[1:48:31] Speaker 4: He was cooking him. He down there broke his leg
[1:48:35] Speaker 4: in that one play.
[1:48:36] Speaker 1: James Harden had his 40th playoff double-double with 24 points
[1:48:38] Speaker 1: and 11 assists. Evan Mobley has 17, five blocks and
[1:48:42] Speaker 1: three steals. Harris LeVert led the Pistons with a season-high
[1:48:45] Speaker 1: 24 points. Kay Cunningham, 19 and six assists, getting held
[1:48:49] Speaker 1: under 20 points for the first time this postseason. Jalen Duren,
[1:48:52] Speaker 1: eight points, two rebounds in 27 minutes. Fifth time Duren's
[1:48:57] Speaker 1: been held to single-digit scoring this postseason. Cavs led by
[1:49:02] Speaker 1: as much as 20 points. Won in the fourth quarter.
[1:49:05] Speaker 1: Improved to 6-0 at home this postseason. So we were
[1:49:09] Speaker 1: having the talk about superstars and stepping up in the moment. Mr. B,
[1:49:12] Speaker 1: you've been critical of Donovan Mitchell in years past as
[1:49:15] Speaker 1: a number one option. What has Spider been showing you
[1:49:18] Speaker 1: as of late? This 43-piece tying NBA record with 39
[1:49:21] Speaker 1: points in the second half.
[1:49:23] Speaker 3: Well, I said on his couch that he needs to
[1:49:26] Speaker 3: have one of those games. and that was definitely one
[1:49:29] Speaker 3: of those games that he needs to have for confidence
[1:49:31] Speaker 3: and for the way the series is going. I think
[1:49:34] Speaker 3: he needs to stop waiting on James Harden and waiting
[1:49:37] Speaker 3: on the team to get going, and he needs to
[1:49:38] Speaker 3: just get going because the series is going to be
[1:49:43] Speaker 3: up to him. I mean, you know, just the way
[1:49:46] Speaker 3: it's going. I think Cade is tired. I think Cade
[1:49:49] Speaker 3: is tired of, you know, all the things that he
[1:49:52] Speaker 3: had to do so far. Tobias is helping. You know,
[1:49:55] Speaker 3: as much as he can, I think Tobias is going
[1:49:57] Speaker 3: to have to have another 30-point game, which he is
[1:49:59] Speaker 3: capable of doing it because he's shown that he can.
[1:50:03] Speaker 3: But I think this is Donovan Mitchell's moment right now.
[1:50:06] Speaker 3: It's Donovan Mitchell versus Katie. And it just depends on
[1:50:09] Speaker 3: who wants it more out of this one. Going back
[1:50:14] Speaker 3: to Detroit.
[1:50:16] Speaker 2: In game five.
[1:50:17] Speaker 3: So, yeah, we'll see, you know. I need another performance
[1:50:21] Speaker 3: from Donovan Mitchell again. You saw that ball go in. So,
[1:50:24] Speaker 3: same thing. Same thing in Detroit.
[1:50:26] Speaker 4: He's been averaging 31, 35, and 43 the last three games.
[1:50:31] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I mean.
[1:50:32] Speaker 2: Superstar shit. It's 31, 35, 43.
[1:50:34] Speaker 4: It's 2-2. I'm just saying.
[1:50:38] Speaker 3: But 43, though, that's the game, though. I needed one
[1:50:41] Speaker 3: of those, though. Like, I needed that. Like, I need
[1:50:43] Speaker 3: something like that. Because Cade had that. We've seen Cade
[1:50:47] Speaker 3: been doing that.
[1:50:49] Speaker 2: So, that's all.
[1:50:50] Speaker 3: I'm not saying he ain't hooping. It's just, you know,
[1:50:53] Speaker 3: it's looking– Sometimes it's tricky over there. It's tricky over
[1:50:57] Speaker 3: there in Cleveland. It gets tricky.
[1:51:03] Speaker 4: But for Mitchell, he always show up in the playoffs,
[1:51:06] Speaker 4: I feel like.
[1:51:06] Speaker 3: That's fine.
[1:51:07] Speaker 2: Yeah. I think you got to put some respect on
[1:51:09] Speaker 2: the dude, man. Dude got the most shit out of
[1:51:14] Speaker 2: anybody in the league right now. He got the what?
[1:51:17] Speaker 2: The most shit with his game. The most in his bag.
[1:51:20] Speaker 2: Donovan Mitchell. That shit that he was doing out there
[1:51:22] Speaker 2: with all that. It's him than Ant-Man. When you talk
[1:51:28] Speaker 2: about shit to your game.
[1:51:29] Speaker 3: Oh, shit to your game?
[1:51:31] Speaker 2: You can't stop this. You can't get to this.
[1:51:33] Speaker 3: Kyrie Irving retire?
[1:51:35] Speaker 2: He ain't played this year.
[1:51:37] Speaker 3: I'm just asking.
[1:51:38] Speaker 2: He would be in there. He would be in there.
[1:51:39] Speaker 2: But he ain't dunking like these two. He ain't dunking
[1:51:41] Speaker 2: like these two. These two get it off and go
[1:51:44] Speaker 2: to it.
[1:51:45] Speaker 4: It's different.
[1:51:46] Speaker 5: I'm just giving credit to his skill set. His skill
[1:51:48] Speaker 5: set is top-notch elite. You're talking about touch. You're talking
[1:51:53] Speaker 5: about around the rim.
[1:51:54] Speaker 2: You're talking about spin moves, step back.
[1:51:57] Speaker 4: Quick.
[1:51:58] Speaker 5: I like the fact that he does train this way.
[1:52:00] Speaker 5: He trains this way. It's on the level of your way.
[1:52:02] Speaker 2: I love it.
[1:52:04] Speaker 4: The only thing It's better than D-Wade.
[1:52:07] Speaker 2: You said he's better than D-Wade. What?
[1:52:10] Speaker 4: It's the jump shot. He got a little bit more shit.
[1:52:12] Speaker 4: He got a little more than D-Wade.
[1:52:13] Speaker 2: He got a little bit more shit.
[1:52:15] Speaker 4: He got a little bit more.
[1:52:16] Speaker 2: He got his shit. I think he got his shit
[1:52:17] Speaker 2: from D-Wade. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. 1A, 1B. I'm
[1:52:21] Speaker 2: turning my shit up a little bit more. Because my
[1:52:23] Speaker 2: jumper is a little bit better.
[1:52:24] Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I'm about to say. Just because of
[1:52:26] Speaker 5: the jumper. Not the athleticism and all that other shit.
[1:52:28] Speaker 5: It's about the same. But when you talk about getting
[1:52:30] Speaker 5: that jumper off.
[1:52:31] Speaker 2: Hmm.
[1:52:32] Speaker 4: D-Wade wasn't doing like step back.
[1:52:33] Speaker 2: D-Wade played defense a little bit more.
[1:52:35] Speaker 5: He was more ferocious as a defense complete player, but
[1:52:38] Speaker 5: Donovan Mitchell is like that.
[1:52:39] Speaker 4: No, he is.
[1:52:40] Speaker 2: Like Jalen Brunson is like that.
[1:52:41] Speaker 3: He is like that.
[1:52:42] Speaker 2: Two guys are really like that.
[1:52:43] Speaker 4: I'm not, yeah.
[1:52:45] Speaker 5: James Harden stepping up the last two games as we
[1:52:47] Speaker 5: counted him out at game two.
[1:52:49] Speaker 2: The wing.
[1:52:50] Speaker 4: Talking about bag work. If he's just talking about bag, yes,
[1:52:54] Speaker 4: you don't think so?
[1:52:54] Speaker 2: Donovan is nice.
[1:52:55] Speaker 3: I didn't say he wasn't nice.
[1:52:57] Speaker 2: He nice.
[1:52:58] Speaker 3: But, I mean, I get you go to the playoffs
[1:53:00] Speaker 3: every year. I get that. I get all that. But, like,
[1:53:03] Speaker 3: you know, like, what's up? So, Eastern Conference Finals?
[1:53:06] Speaker 4: D-Wade was cold.
[1:53:08] Speaker 3: So, is he getting past?
[1:53:09] Speaker 2: He went cold. Yes.
[1:53:10] Speaker 4: Huh?
[1:53:11] Speaker 2: He getting past Detroit.
[1:53:13] Speaker 5: He getting past. Hey, the Knicks is going to be tough.
[1:53:15] Speaker 5: If James show up for real and finally get over
[1:53:18] Speaker 5: his hump.
[1:53:18] Speaker 4: No, it's Mobley to me. I'm glad Mobley finally showed
[1:53:22] Speaker 4: up a little bit.
[1:53:23] Speaker 2: You think it's Jared Alvarez?
[1:53:24] Speaker 3: Donovan Mitchell's on D-Wade's level.
[1:53:26] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:53:26] Speaker 2: What? You don't think so?
[1:53:27] Speaker 3: I'm asking.
[1:53:30] Speaker 4: They got to win, but game-wise, I feel like they.
[1:53:33] Speaker 2: You can't ask that question and then say something about rings.
[1:53:36] Speaker 2: It's all skill.
[1:53:37] Speaker 3: I didn't ask.
[1:53:38] Speaker 4: I don't know where you're at.
[1:53:40] Speaker 3: I'm not talking about skill. I've seen Dwyane Wade walk
[1:53:43] Speaker 3: through the finals in 0-3.
[1:53:45] Speaker 2: 0-3 or 0-4?
[1:53:46] Speaker 5: 0-6.
[1:53:47] Speaker 4: 0-6?
[1:53:47] Speaker 2: My bad.
[1:53:48] Speaker 4: No, Cole. But can you imagine if he had like
[1:53:51] Speaker 4: a step back three? 37. If he could shoot that
[1:53:53] Speaker 4: three and step back three.
[1:53:55] Speaker 3: I didn't need to shoot the three to be successful.
[1:53:58] Speaker 2: But you had Shaq, though.
[1:53:59] Speaker 3: Shaq was on the tail end.
[1:54:01] Speaker 2: No, he still had Shaq. 06 Shaq was.
[1:54:03] Speaker 4: He averaged 35. That wasn't that same Shaq.
[1:54:05] Speaker 3: Do not.
[1:54:05] Speaker 2: That was not.
[1:54:05] Speaker 3: Was that the same.
[1:54:06] Speaker 2: Shaq in 2006? Shaq was averaging 20 and 10. 18
[1:54:08] Speaker 2: and 10. 18 and 10 for that playoff.
[1:54:10] Speaker 4: Wade was averaging what?
[1:54:11] Speaker 2: 40. Damn near.
[1:54:11] Speaker 5: 35. 40. No, D-Wade Young, D-Wade was flash.
[1:54:25] Speaker 2: That's flash. 14 and 10 in the finals. That's flash.
[1:54:29] Speaker 2: But we talking about Donovan Mitchell. Wait, who?
[1:54:31] Speaker 3: Shaq did what?
[1:54:31] Speaker 2: Shaq averaged 14 and 10 in those 2006 finals.
[1:54:35] Speaker 4: How much D-Wade averaged?
[1:54:37] Speaker 1: 36.
[1:54:37] Speaker 2: 40.
[1:54:37] Speaker 4: 37.
[1:54:37] Speaker 2: 33. 40.
[1:54:37] Speaker 4: I know he cold.
[1:54:41] Speaker 3: No, I'm just saying. You say he on the same level.
[1:54:43] Speaker 2: 35, 8, and 14. I'm talking about like talent-wise. Talent-wise.
[1:54:48] Speaker 4: Yeah, you don't think so?
[1:54:50] Speaker 2: Like... I'm not talking about careers now. I'm not talking
[1:54:56] Speaker 2: about careers.
[1:54:57] Speaker 4: I'm talking about pure talent.
[1:54:59] Speaker 2: Raw talent? That motherfucker nice.
[1:55:01] Speaker 4: Come on, bro. D-Wave wasn't doing.
[1:55:03] Speaker 2: D-Wave is cold. D-Wave is cold. Donovan Mitchell got a
[1:55:07] Speaker 2: different kind of movement out there.
[1:55:09] Speaker 4: Did you see fucking Tobias Legg gave out?
[1:55:11] Speaker 2: This boy here, man, he got some shit to him.
[1:55:13] Speaker 2: He got some shit.
[1:55:14] Speaker 4: He do.
[1:55:15] Speaker 6: I just go back to what him and Jamal Murray
[1:55:18] Speaker 6: was doing in the bubble in the playoffs in 50.
[1:55:20] Speaker 4: Going back to 70.
[1:55:21] Speaker 2: He had 70. That's fine. That's fine. I seen somebody
[1:55:23] Speaker 2: bring a.
[1:55:23] Speaker 3: Ring to Miami for the first time ever.
[1:55:25] Speaker 2: Ever. Good.
[1:55:31] Speaker 3: So you see what you just did?
[1:55:33] Speaker 5: You just changed the conversation from skill to a ring.
[1:55:36] Speaker 5: That's the only metric of the conversation? That's skill. That's skill.
[1:55:41] Speaker 2: That's team. That's team. That's me. That's Jason Williams.
[1:55:43] Speaker 3: That's James Posey.
[1:55:44] Speaker 2: That's Shane Battier.
[1:55:45] Speaker 4: That's Alonzo Mourning.
[1:55:46] Speaker 2: Like, bro, you got to vote for me. You're losing.
[1:55:58] Speaker 2: Pass me the ball and watch out. Fucking Gary Payton.
[1:56:00] Speaker 2: Pass me the ball and watch out. And what did
[1:56:02] Speaker 2: Gary Payton say? And what did Gary Payton say? We're
[1:56:04] Speaker 2: going to go through Youngfella. Gary Payton was on that team?
[1:56:06] Speaker 2: We're going to go through Youngfella. Gary Payton said, old niggas,
[1:56:09] Speaker 2: give me the ball and watch the fuck out.
[1:56:11] Speaker 4: If Joker go to the Cavs right now, you think
[1:56:13] Speaker 4: they would get to the finals?
[1:56:14] Speaker 2: If who?
[1:56:15] Speaker 4: Joker.
[1:56:15] Speaker 3: Went to the finals?
[1:56:16] Speaker 4: Like Shaq went to Miami if Joker went to the Cavs.
[1:56:19] Speaker 3: But if Joker go to the Cavs, he's winning finals, MVP,
[1:56:23] Speaker 3: and everything. What are you talking about? What are you
[1:56:27] Speaker 3: talking like?
[1:56:28] Speaker 2: The Joker is a bad. That's a bad. That's a bad.
[1:56:31] Speaker 2: Who would like Shaq in the lead then?
[1:56:34] Speaker 3: It's not about Shaq at that time.
[1:56:35] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
[1:56:36] Speaker 3: You're talking about Jokic right now at the time when
[1:56:38] Speaker 3: he's probably going to be MVP. We don't even fucking know.
[1:56:40] Speaker 4: He's 31.
[1:56:40] Speaker 2: You're talking about a ring and we're talking about skills. Jokic.
[1:56:44] Speaker 3: He just said if you bring Jokic to Cleveland, Jokic
[1:56:49] Speaker 3: is the best player on the team.
[1:56:50] Speaker 2: Don't say Jokic then. Okay.
[1:56:52] Speaker 4: Okay.
[1:56:52] Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. He said Jokic. Yeah, huh?
[1:56:58] Speaker 4: How old is Jokic at 31?
[1:57:00] Speaker 3: Don't bring Jokic in this, man. Leave that man alone.
[1:57:04] Speaker 4: 31 years old.
[1:57:06] Speaker 2: Leave Jokic. Let him go ride his horse.
[1:57:09] Speaker 4: Shaq still was the most dominant person in the league
[1:57:11] Speaker 4: still as a big.
[1:57:13] Speaker 3: I get that. I get that. But when they were
[1:57:15] Speaker 3: going to win it in the playoffs, we got to
[1:57:19] Speaker 3: go through young fella, man. Dwayne Wade was his third
[1:57:23] Speaker 3: year in the league.
[1:57:24] Speaker 2: This is my third year in the league.
[1:57:26] Speaker 3: I got one before Braun and Carmelo.
[1:57:29] Speaker 4: What?
[1:57:30] Speaker 3: They put the shit on me.
[1:57:31] Speaker 2: They told me to go get it.
[1:57:32] Speaker 4: You just had three with Kobe. And you go somewhere
[1:57:37] Speaker 4: the next year and win another one?
[1:57:38] Speaker 3: No, they didn't win it just the next year, though.
[1:57:40] Speaker 3: They won it the year after.
[1:57:42] Speaker 2: I know. It wasn't the same.
[1:57:43] Speaker 3: Listen, man.
[1:57:44] Speaker 2: For one thing's for sure, two things for certain. That
[1:57:48] Speaker 2: person that wore number 32 in Miami.
[1:57:51] Speaker 6: That ain't the same person that wore that jersey in
[1:57:53] Speaker 6: motherfucking Los Angeles.
[1:57:55] Speaker 2: I can tell you that shit.
[1:57:56] Speaker 4: But still, he's still dominant.
[1:57:58] Speaker 2: Boy, I was 14 and 10. It don't matter. Read
[1:57:59] Speaker 2: what domination is.
[1:58:00] Speaker 3: Is LeBron the same?
[1:58:01] Speaker 2: What do you have to guess? So LeBron right now.
[1:58:10] Speaker 4: That's what Shaq was. Shaq was LeBron right now.
[1:58:12] Speaker 2: Let me show you domination.
[1:58:14] Speaker 4: Shaq was LeBron right now. Oh. Yes.
[1:58:17] Speaker 3: Nick.
[1:58:17] Speaker 4: At the end of his career, right? Nick.
[1:58:20] Speaker 2: Nick. Nick.
[1:58:21] Speaker 3: Nick.
[1:58:23] Speaker 4: Nick.
[1:58:23] Speaker 2: Nick. The goalpost has been.
[1:58:26] Speaker 5: Moved from over here to all the way over here.
[1:58:29] Speaker 2: Yes. If y'all acting like Shaq was.
[1:58:32] Speaker 3: I'm.
[1:58:32] Speaker 5: Talking about Donovan Mitchell, D-Wade. You niggas lose almost every
[1:58:36] Speaker 5: fucking time.
[1:58:36] Speaker 3: On this show.
[1:58:37] Speaker 2: What the fuck? 36-12 against you guys. Shaq had nothing
[1:58:38] Speaker 2: to do with what Dwayne Wade was doing. Shaq wasn't dominant,
[1:58:47] Speaker 2: averaging 14 and 10. Average what against us? 36 and 12.
[1:58:50] Speaker 3: Shaq went to the finals every time he was getting
[1:58:52] Speaker 3: finals MVP.
[1:58:52] Speaker 2: 36 points, 12 rebounds.
[1:58:53] Speaker 3: Y'all got Shaq.
[1:58:53] Speaker 2: Against us, he averaged 36 and 12. That's domination. That
[1:58:56] Speaker 2: was 0-1. That was Shaq that I'm talking about.
[1:59:00] Speaker 3: How much?
[1:59:01] Speaker 2: Against us, 36.
[1:59:02] Speaker 3: Okay, yeah. Yes, yes, yes.
[1:59:04] Speaker 2: 14 and 10, no. Okay. 18 and 10, no. During
[1:59:07] Speaker 2: the regular season, 18 and 10. During the finals, 14
[1:59:09] Speaker 2: and 10.
[1:59:09] Speaker 3: Is he still effective?
[1:59:10] Speaker 2: Yes. That number 32 wasn't the same guy.
[1:59:13] Speaker 6: It took nothing away from what Dwyane Wade was doing
[1:59:16] Speaker 6: is what I'm saying. Dwyane Wade was a bad man.
[1:59:18] Speaker 6: This boy Donovan Mitchell, for skill for skill... I'll line
[1:59:23] Speaker 6: him up.
[1:59:24] Speaker 2: I'll line him up for sure.
[1:59:25] Speaker 3: I'll like that. I'll like that. I'll like that. I
[1:59:27] Speaker 3: got Dwayne whenever.
[1:59:29] Speaker 2: I'll like that. I ain't saying they won't beat him.
[1:59:31] Speaker 2: Me either. I like watching that boy. No, that's fine.
[1:59:36] Speaker 3: I'm rolling. I mean, the three-point line.
[1:59:38] Speaker 6: Shaq just won finals MVP.
[1:59:41] Speaker 4: Two years before.
[1:59:42] Speaker 3: I do like him, too.
[1:59:43] Speaker 4: Two years before that.
[1:59:44] Speaker 2: What happened? Shaq, right?
[1:59:45] Speaker 4: Then he just won finals MVP two years before that championship.
[1:59:50] Speaker 4: And he wasn't the same.
[1:59:51] Speaker 3: No, they lost to Detroit. It was 03.
[1:59:52] Speaker 2: Three years. He was out of there.
[1:59:56] Speaker 3: Three years is a long time.
[1:59:57] Speaker 4: He was 34.
[1:59:59] Speaker 3: Brother, three years is a long time.
[2:00:03] Speaker 2: 2002 was his last one. 2002.
[2:00:05] Speaker 4: But he made the finals after that loss. The year after,
[2:00:10] Speaker 4: he got traded, right? So that year after, then he
[2:00:14] Speaker 4: went back to the championship. You can't tell me he's
[2:00:16] Speaker 4: not dominant still, though.
[2:00:18] Speaker 2: I'm telling you he wasn't dominant. Championship, championship, championship, championship.
[2:00:22] Speaker 2: His body left.
[2:00:23] Speaker 4: Went back to the championship.
[2:00:24] Speaker 2: Because it's still Shaq. Yes, that's what I'm telling you.
[2:00:27] Speaker 2: It's not the same Shaq. No, because he's averaging 18.
[2:00:29] Speaker 2: It is not the same Shaq. It ain't 10.
[2:00:31] Speaker 5: It's the same Shaq.
[2:00:33] Speaker 2: I'm saying it's still Shaq.
[2:00:36] Speaker 5: Shaq is still posting up. He wasn't even fat Shaq then.
[2:00:40] Speaker 2: He was still moving, talking that bitch.
[2:00:42] Speaker 3: Dude, Shaq body is breaking down by this time. Shaq
[2:00:46] Speaker 3: then went through six fucking finals in a fucking row.
[2:00:48] Speaker 2: What the fuck are we talking about?
[2:00:50] Speaker 4: Steph's still.
[2:00:51] Speaker 2: What nobody was in Miami. Listen, let's hear me out.
[2:00:55] Speaker 6: There was not one game plan that said we're going
[2:00:58] Speaker 6: to double team Shaq when he was in Miami.
[2:01:01] Speaker 2: So Shaq 05. Oh, no.
[2:01:04] Speaker 4: Okay.
[2:01:04] Speaker 2: Let's go through Shaq's points per game in Miami.
[2:01:06] Speaker 4: 0405 Shaq. 22 and 10. 0404.
[2:01:07] Speaker 2: You're talking about 0405 when he first got to Miami.
[2:01:10] Speaker 2: 22 and 10.
[2:01:11] Speaker 4: Okay.
[2:01:12] Speaker 3: Did they win it?
[2:01:14] Speaker 5: No.
[2:01:14] Speaker 3: Go to the finals.
[2:01:14] Speaker 5: 20, hey, 20, 05, 06. He averaged 20 and 9.
[2:01:26] Speaker 2: Okay. Oh, man. 60% from the field. 60% from the field. Yes.
[2:01:31] Speaker 2: 30 minutes a game. Yes, yes. Like, this is still,
[2:01:34] Speaker 2: it ain't prime, Shaq. No.
[2:01:36] Speaker 5: But it's still, It's 20 a game, Shaq. So I'm
[2:01:39] Speaker 5: giving you 20. And I'm still, I'm not O'Shaq, but
[2:01:43] Speaker 5: I'm still Shaquille O'Neal.
[2:01:45] Speaker 2: I'm still Shaquille. I'm not fighting that.
[2:01:48] Speaker 5: So if you're talking about he ain't, like, he ain't
[2:01:50] Speaker 5: no factor or nothing. I just said, nobody said he
[2:01:52] Speaker 5: wasn't a factor.
[2:01:53] Speaker 2: Nobody just said he was a factor. No, Kenyon, did
[2:01:55] Speaker 2: we say he wasn't a factor? It opens it up
[2:01:58] Speaker 2: for him.
[2:01:58] Speaker 4: Kenyon.
[2:01:59] Speaker 2: Because you still got to guard Shaq.
[2:02:00] Speaker 3: Did we say he wasn't a factor? We just said
[2:02:02] Speaker 3: he wasn't a factor.
[2:02:02] Speaker 5: And Alonzo Mourning is on that same team.
[2:02:05] Speaker 2: That's... Same team. Antoine Walker on that same team.
[2:02:09] Speaker 3: You're telling a guy who played against Shaq in the
[2:02:11] Speaker 3: finals and he averaged what against y'all?
[2:02:13] Speaker 2: Four years prior. And took the finals MVP home, right?
[2:02:16] Speaker 2: It was 2002.
[2:02:16] Speaker 3: This is 2005, 2006.
[2:02:16] Speaker 2: And then he won again in 2003. Okay.
[2:02:18] Speaker 5: He went to the finals again in 2004. 2003, 2004,
[2:02:20] Speaker 5: Shaq was 21 and 11. When they lost against Detroit? Yes,
[2:02:34] Speaker 5: 21 and 11.
[2:02:35] Speaker 2: Okay, and what was he averaging? The year before that,
[2:02:39] Speaker 2: he was 27 and 11. And then the next year,
[2:02:43] Speaker 2: he was 21?
[2:02:44] Speaker 4: 22.
[2:02:44] Speaker 2: That's a big drop, motherfucker. That's a big drop.
[2:02:48] Speaker 5: 21 in LA and then went up to 23 in
[2:02:50] Speaker 5: Miami when he first got here.
[2:02:52] Speaker 3: He averaged 27 against you guys in 12?
[2:02:55] Speaker 2: No, 30. He averaged... In the finals.
[2:02:57] Speaker 4: 36.
[2:02:57] Speaker 2: Before that year, he averaged 27 and 11.
[2:03:02] Speaker 5: Bro, did y'all see the year when he first got
[2:03:04] Speaker 5: to Miami, he averaged 23 and 11 in Miami his
[2:03:09] Speaker 5: first year.
[2:03:10] Speaker 2: That's not a drop-off.
[2:03:11] Speaker 4: That's still Shaq.
[2:03:12] Speaker 2: He's still Shaq. Oh, my fucking God.
[2:03:14] Speaker 4: He went from averaging 30 against Keenan. The last two
[2:03:17] Speaker 4: championships don't mean nothing. It's Kobe. He should have been
[2:03:21] Speaker 4: robbing to Kobe Batman then. Since y'all acting like in
[2:03:24] Speaker 4: a year, he dropped all the way off.
[2:03:27] Speaker 3: He's effective, but it wasn't the same Shaq.
[2:03:30] Speaker 2: It's Shaq.
[2:03:30] Speaker 4: Still Shaq.
[2:03:31] Speaker 3: It's not the same Shaq.
[2:03:32] Speaker 2: It ain't gotta be the same Shaq.
[2:03:34] Speaker 3: The Shaq that I know is taking home finals fucking MVP, man.
[2:03:37] Speaker 2: That ain't the Shaq that you know. That's the Shaq
[2:03:39] Speaker 2: that you know.
[2:03:40] Speaker 3: Shaq is Shaq. That's the Shaq I fucking grew up knowing.
[2:03:42] Speaker 2: Shaq is Shaq. That's the Shaq I grew up knowing.
[2:03:44] Speaker 2: Shaq is Shaq. The Shaq I knew grew up.
[2:03:46] Speaker 4: In that 34 fucking jersey you got.
[2:03:48] Speaker 3: On right here at finals MVP and Rob and Kobe
[2:03:51] Speaker 3: Bryant is right next to him.
[2:03:52] Speaker 2: Homie, this is my shit.
[2:03:53] Speaker 3: Watch the fuck out. But What's y'all talking about?
[2:03:57] Speaker 2: Who?
[2:03:58] Speaker 4: I know who took on finals MVP.
[2:04:00] Speaker 3: I know who took on finals MVP. I know who
[2:04:02] Speaker 3: took on finals MVP.
[2:04:03] Speaker 4: He carried this man, but now... Oh, go ahead. I
[2:04:04] Speaker 4: got a statement or just something to say. When you
[2:04:06] Speaker 4: got drafted?
[2:04:06] Speaker 3: 2009, 2010. When you got drafted?
[2:04:07] Speaker 2: 2007.
[2:04:07] Speaker 4: When you got drafted? 2001. But what did that mean
[2:04:32] Speaker 4: with now, though? What did that mean?
[2:04:35] Speaker 2: What position you up in?
[2:04:38] Speaker 6: I just asked what position y'all in.
[2:04:40] Speaker 4: You said we just can't talk about people now.
[2:04:42] Speaker 2: You can, but I'm just asking what position y'all in.
[2:04:43] Speaker 6: We're not on the court with them now, so we
[2:04:45] Speaker 6: shouldn't talk about them. No, but I'm just like, I
[2:04:47] Speaker 6: was active out there with him. The conversation that we're having,
[2:04:50] Speaker 6: guess what? I was out there with that Shaquille O'Neal
[2:04:55] Speaker 6: that we're speaking of.
[2:04:56] Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying, right? And guess what? And guess what?
[2:05:00] Speaker 6: When we game playing for him, during them years, we
[2:05:05] Speaker 6: wasn't double teaming.
[2:05:06] Speaker 4: What team was you on when he was in Miami?
[2:05:08] Speaker 4: You was on Denver?
[2:05:09] Speaker 2: I was in Denver. We had a lot of bigs.
[2:05:11] Speaker 4: How much did you average against Denver?
[2:05:12] Speaker 2: We had a lot of bigs. Shit, that's all. Wasn't that? Oh,
[2:05:18] Speaker 2: all right.
[2:05:19] Speaker 4: That's what we just go for.
[2:05:20] Speaker 2: Wasn't that? Trust me. Guarantee we beat them, too. That
[2:05:26] Speaker 2: I can tell you.
[2:05:27] Speaker 6: So it ain't the same.
[2:05:28] Speaker 2: Wasn't the same person. Let's put a pin in this one.
[2:05:31] Speaker 4: He's still Shaq.
[2:05:32] Speaker 2: He's still Shaq. The back of the jersey definitely said O'Neal,
[2:05:35] Speaker 2: but it wasn't the same person. I'm just trying to
[2:05:37] Speaker 2: tell you.
[2:05:38] Speaker 6: Like, Dwayne Wade was the number one option and the
[2:05:41] Speaker 6: number one focal point on that scouting report.
[2:05:43] Speaker 4: He still has Shaq on his team, though. That's what
[2:05:46] Speaker 4: we're not saying.
[2:05:47] Speaker 3: LeBron James has Shaq in Cleveland, too. And did they
[2:05:49] Speaker 3: get to the finals?
[2:05:51] Speaker 4: I think they did. Huh?
[2:05:54] Speaker 2: I think they did.
[2:05:55] Speaker 3: They did not get to the... Cleveland did not get
[2:05:57] Speaker 3: to the finals with Shaq.
[2:05:58] Speaker 4: Come on, man.
[2:05:58] Speaker 2: So they didn't? No. When Shaq went.
[2:06:01] Speaker 3: To the Suns and played with Steve Nash, was that
[2:06:03] Speaker 3: the same Shaq?
[2:06:04] Speaker 2: How about Boston Shaq?
[2:06:05] Speaker 4: Like, I'm just asking.
[2:06:07] Speaker 2: No, no, no. No, we're just asking. Hold on, hold on.
[2:06:11] Speaker 3: When I got to the league, I played against Shaq
[2:06:13] Speaker 3: in Cleveland. That was not the same Shaq.
[2:06:16] Speaker 2: Hold on, hold on. Let me look it up. Okay.
[2:06:19] Speaker 2: We can hit the Shaq.
[2:06:21] Speaker 3: I played against both of them.
[2:06:23] Speaker 5: Cleveland Shaq in 2009, 2010.
[2:06:27] Speaker 2: Uh-huh. That LeBron didn't go to the finals? What are you,
[2:06:30] Speaker 2: the semifinals? They got put out by Boston?
[2:06:32] Speaker 3: They didn't go to the finals.
[2:06:33] Speaker 2: They got put out by Boston right before, right? Second round. Uh-huh.
[2:06:36] Speaker 3: They didn't go to the finals.
[2:06:37] Speaker 2: They went to the semifinals. Oh, okay.
[2:06:41] Speaker 3: So they went to the semifinals.
[2:06:43] Speaker 2: So now you're going to say, they made the first round.
[2:06:46] Speaker 6: They made the first round. Like, no, this nigga, they
[2:06:49] Speaker 6: made the finals. He was ready to argue you the
[2:06:51] Speaker 6: fuck down, nigga.
[2:06:53] Speaker 2: No, I was. That's why I got it. That's why
[2:06:57] Speaker 2: I got it.
[2:06:58] Speaker 5: My point was, my point was going to be that
[2:07:01] Speaker 5: LeBron made it to, what, eight straight finals? And I
[2:07:04] Speaker 5: was thinking that was one of the years that LeBron
[2:07:06] Speaker 5: made it.
[2:07:07] Speaker 3: Hey, LeBron made it to the finals without Shaq in Cleveland.
[2:07:10] Speaker 2: With the Galskis.
[2:07:12] Speaker 3: Okay, so without Shaq.
[2:07:13] Speaker 2: So what point are you making?
[2:07:15] Speaker 3: Is that bigging Shaq.
[2:07:17] Speaker 2: Up or hurting Shaq's argument that you're trying to make?
[2:07:20] Speaker 2: I think it's hurting your argument. Let's wrap up today

[2:07:43] Speaker 6: Of course he goes you 60% dog If you shoot.
[2:07:45] Speaker 4: Under that we gonna be like goddamn do retire, right?
[2:07:47] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, but he never never shot under well, he
[2:07:49] Speaker 2: shot under 60% maybe in those later years. One time
[2:08:02] Speaker 2: with Cleveland, he was 55. Yeah, he still is. Good.
[2:08:05] Speaker 2: In Boston, he was 66. Above average. 66.7, which was
[2:08:09] Speaker 2: his highest. And how many points did he average then? Nine. Okay.
[2:08:12] Speaker 3: Man, listen, dog.
[2:08:14] Speaker 2: I don't know that, though.
[2:08:16] Speaker 1: Let's wrap up today with our playoff picks powered by

[2:09:17] Speaker 5: from the field.
[2:09:18] Speaker 4: That was dominant.
[2:09:20] Speaker 2: We got a huge game five. We didn't double team him.
[2:09:23] Speaker 6: The point I was making was, the point I was
[2:09:26] Speaker 6: making was, we played him straight up.
[2:09:31] Speaker 2: And no point before that, we was playing him straight up.
[2:09:32] Speaker 4: 63% didn't mean y'all was doing a bad job.
[2:09:35] Speaker 2: He played inside the paint, nigga.
[2:09:37] Speaker 4: And y'all didn't double him?
[2:09:39] Speaker 2: Why would we? When we got Dwayne Wade.
[2:09:41] Speaker 4: But he had 23.
[2:09:43] Speaker 6: And we'd rather let him play one-on-one than double the
[2:09:46] Speaker 6: other guy.
[2:09:47] Speaker 3: Same thing the teams were doing back in the day.
[2:09:50] Speaker 2: We're going to let Kobe play one-on-one. That's why I
