The Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Is DESTROYING The Milwaukee Bucks Locker Room according to Gilbert Arenas as Gil & The Gil's Arena Crew react to Giannis reportedly meeting with his Bucks teammates to address ongoing trade rumors and debate how the Greek Freak should be handling this situation as his uncertain future in Milwaukee is already causing problems inside the organization. They then react to the NBA Cup quarterfinals as the New York Knicks punched their ticket to Las Vegas with a win over the Toronto Raptors and break down what has been an up and down season for the Knicks. They debate who should be part of the team's Big 3 alongside Jalen Brunson & Karl Anthony Towns and argue over who is the most expendable out of Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby or Josh Hart as the team decides whether or not they need to make a big splash to improve their roster. They then move over to another power house in the NBA's Eastern Conference as Jaylen Brown has put together a career season for the Boston Celtics while serving as the team's #1 option in the absence of Jayson Tatum and debate what a successful season looks like for the C's before reacting to Brown's comments on floppers with a direct shot at Shai Gilgeous Alexander. Finally, they react to James Harden passing Carmelo Anthony for 10th on the NBA's all time scoring list and give the offensive superstar his flowers for changing the game before breaking down the games of 2 rookie of the year candidates in Dylan Harper and Derik Queen. [0:01] Speaker 1: Welcome back to Gil's Arena presented by Underdog. A little
[0:06] Speaker 1: light on the couch today. Or not. Or not. Or not.
[0:11] Speaker 1: We all we got, we all we need. How everybody
[0:14] Speaker 1: feeling today? Feeling good. Like you just came from hooping?
[0:18] Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I'm trying to get my cardio and
[0:21] Speaker 2: lose some weight.
[0:22] Speaker 1: You know? Uh-oh. Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh. This is BC Rocket
[0:29] Speaker 1: and the Jay-Z. Hey, hey, hey. Rockabella. Yeah, the whole,
[0:33] Speaker 1: with the S. Doc Carters. You know, I get down. Okay.
[0:38] Speaker 1: Inspiration from the Diddy Doc? Huh?
[0:42] Speaker 3: With the diddy glasses? Yeah, with the, and then the
[0:44] Speaker 3: death row, you know. I'm just, I'm all, I'm just,
[0:47] Speaker 3: I'm just inspired.
[0:49] Speaker 1: He inspired you. Took us back to the 90s, you know? Ken,
[0:52] Speaker 1: you made a cameo in the Diddy Doc, I heard? Uh,
[0:54] Speaker 1: not a personal cameo. No, I'm sitting there watching her
[0:59] Speaker 1: join in the little ballroom. I'm like, hey, I know
[1:02] Speaker 1: that jersey. It counts. Yeah, somebody had it on that
[1:06] Speaker 1: Nets jersey in the little ballroom. He made the doc. Yeah,
[1:10] Speaker 1: I was just sitting there. Hey, I made it.
[1:13] Speaker 4: Made the doc.
[1:14] Speaker 1: That's the number one everywhere. Back down memory lane.
[1:18] Speaker 5: But this is Gil's Arena presented by Underdog. I'm merely
[1:22] Speaker 5: host Josiah Johnson. Sadly, Gil is not with us today
[1:25] Speaker 5: dealing with some personal matters, but we'll be back in
[1:27] Speaker 5: the arena Soon, however, we do have NBA champion of
[1:32] Speaker 5: the world, Swaggy P, Nick Young, here with us.
[1:36] Speaker 1: I didn't hear you. There it is. Give me my shit.
[1:41] Speaker 5: On this side of the couch, representing Tough Crowd and
[1:43] Speaker 5: a card-carrying country club member, Mr. B, Brandon Jennings. The
[1:49] Speaker 5: Rock is in the building. And on this side, the
[1:51] Speaker 5: distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff, former number one pick, Kenya Martin,
[1:55] Speaker 5: back here with us.
[1:58] Speaker 1: What's that?
[2:00] Speaker 5: And last but not least, a man they call Cemetery Larry,
[2:03] Speaker 5: NCAA champion of the world, Rashad McCants.
[2:06] Speaker 1: Back in the arena. The spike bat. It's one of
[2:12] Speaker 1: those days. Enthusiastic. Yeah, I mean, you know, days off.
[2:21] Speaker 1: I get to watch some shit.
[2:23] Speaker 6: Hopefully we circle back to some topics.
[2:25] Speaker 1: You know, we are always free to circle back to
[2:27] Speaker 1: whatever you want to.
[2:29] Speaker 5: This is panel, brother. Gil's not here, so we have leeway,
[2:34] Speaker 5: as Chris Paul would like to say.
[2:35] Speaker 1: Okay. Percentages only go up when Gil's not here.
[2:39] Speaker 5: Get those numbers up. But we got a lot to discuss.
[2:41] Speaker 5: Here's what's cracking in Gil's arena today. The Knicks are
[2:45] Speaker 5: headed to Sin City for the chance at an NBA
[2:47] Speaker 5: Cup championship. But does Brunson have a strong enough supporting
[2:51] Speaker 5: cast to lead them to their first finals? since 1999.
[2:55] Speaker 5: Jalen Brown has been putting together a career year for
[2:57] Speaker 5: Boston without Tatum. Are the Celtics still a legit threat
[3:00] Speaker 5: in the East? They've been playing very, very well lately.
[3:03] Speaker 5: The East is wide open. And Giannis reportedly met with
[3:06] Speaker 5: some Bucs teammates to tell them to avoid the outside
[3:08] Speaker 5: noise and focus on basketball. What does Milwaukee need to
[3:12] Speaker 5: do to keep their franchise player with the franchise. But
[3:15] Speaker 5: before we get into all that, as always, this show
[3:17] Speaker 5: is brought to you by Underdog. New to Underdog? Use

[3:34] Speaker 5: And as always, if you can't watch the show live
[3:36] Speaker 5: with us on YouTube, We have audio versions available on Apple, Spotify,
[3:39] Speaker 5: wherever you get your podcasts. So let's start right away
[3:42] Speaker 5: in Milwaukee. So while Giannis' future in Milwaukee remains unclear
[3:45] Speaker 5: with the Greek freak sideline for the next few weeks
[3:47] Speaker 5: while dealing with a calf strain, there are varying reports
[3:50] Speaker 5: about what's going on behind the scenes. So according to Shams,
[3:53] Speaker 5: the Bucks are in discussions with Giannis' agent about his
[3:55] Speaker 5: status in the locker room. It's starting to feel the
[3:57] Speaker 5: tension between Giannis and the team. NBA insider Chris Haynes
[4:01] Speaker 5: also delivered an interesting report during an appearance on NBA
[4:04] Speaker 5: TV's the association Tuesday night, saying that sources told him
[4:07] Speaker 5: Giannis recently met with some of his Bucs teammates to
[4:10] Speaker 5: address the trade rumors. So according to Haynes, Giannis' message
[4:13] Speaker 5: was to focus on basketball and to not let the
[4:16] Speaker 5: outside noise distract him while also relaying he can't control
[4:19] Speaker 5: what goes on or what even happens to him. I
[4:22] Speaker 5: don't know if I believe that to be true, but
[4:23] Speaker 5: it is what it is. What we do know is
[4:25] Speaker 5: the Bucs are currently 10-15, sitting at 10th in the
[4:28] Speaker 5: Eastern Conference, and they've lost 10 of their last 12 games.
[4:32] Speaker 1: Mr. B, Mr. 414, Mr. Bucs in 6th. If you
[4:34] Speaker 1: were the Bucks, how would you approach this situation with
[4:37] Speaker 1: Giannis moving forward?
[4:40] Speaker 3: How would I approach the situation? I mean, it's up
[4:44] Speaker 3: to him. I mean, the meeting is not a big deal.
[4:48] Speaker 3: I mean, that's what you're supposed to do, you know,
[4:49] Speaker 3: as a leader when your team is struggling and guys
[4:53] Speaker 3: are on the team that's playing for contracts too. So
[4:55] Speaker 3: at the end of the day, you know, you should
[4:56] Speaker 3: just focus on basketball. Whatever happens with him has nothing
[4:59] Speaker 3: to do with the team or has anything to do
[5:02] Speaker 3: with any of the other players. Because you still got
[5:06] Speaker 3: a job to do. So the Bucs, they're going to
[5:08] Speaker 3: do what they got to do that's best for them
[5:10] Speaker 3: and for the future. And I'm sure Giannis is going
[5:11] Speaker 3: to do what's best for him, for his future. So
[5:14] Speaker 3: I think everybody just needs to just let it go
[5:15] Speaker 3: and just focus on basketball. Because it's just repeating news
[5:20] Speaker 3: that's been happening for the last five years.
[5:21] Speaker 1: So if he leaves, he leaves. If he doesn't, he doesn't.
[5:24] Speaker 1: At the end of the day, you got to play basketball.
[5:26] Speaker 1: So just focus on basketball.
[5:27] Speaker 5: Obviously, Sean reported that the Knicks and Bucs were in
[5:30] Speaker 5: preliminary trade talks back in August. with Giannis expressing desire,
[5:34] Speaker 5: but we're hearing a bunch of different things. Windhorse said
[5:35] Speaker 5: that Giannis had requested a trade, then Backtrack said he hadn't.
[5:39] Speaker 5: Chris Haynes obviously has his sources telling him what's going on,
[5:41] Speaker 5: but let's move over to this side. CemeteryLayer, we see
[5:44] Speaker 5: the situation going on with Giannis and the Bucs. If
[5:46] Speaker 5: you were the Bucs, how would you approach the situation
[5:49] Speaker 5: moving forward? Is it time to start thinking about looking
[5:52] Speaker 5: at some of these offers, or men defensive with Giannis,
[5:55] Speaker 5: keep him with the franchise?
[5:57] Speaker 1: If I'm the Bucs? Hmm. From the Bucks, what am
[6:03] Speaker 1: I thinking?
[6:08] Speaker 6: It's based on his energy, because if his energy is
[6:10] Speaker 6: disconnected from what we're trying to do, I'm definitely shipping
[6:13] Speaker 6: him off. I'm not going to sit around and wait
[6:16] Speaker 6: for him to request or for the public opinion to
[6:21] Speaker 6: sway what we need to do. Like you said, if
[6:24] Speaker 6: it's his business, which the NBA has shown to reveal
[6:29] Speaker 6: that it's more of a business than it is a sport,
[6:32] Speaker 6: So at this particular juncture, we look at what the
[6:36] Speaker 6: Bucs need to do internally after they've made so many
[6:38] Speaker 6: mistakes repeatedly back to back to back, getting rid of coaches,
[6:43] Speaker 6: getting rid of players, not really getting up for Dame Lillard,
[6:49] Speaker 6: not really appeasing what Giannis has been asking and requesting for.
[6:53] Speaker 6: I think as an organization, it's time to rebuild.
[6:57] Speaker 1: Wholeheartedly.
[6:58] Speaker 6: And I think with that decision, you got to look
[7:01] Speaker 6: at the assets on the table and see where you
[7:04] Speaker 6: can shop everybody. This is not a Giannis thing now.
[7:07] Speaker 6: You break up Giannis and he, like we've heard, 90%
[7:09] Speaker 6: of the team, you're going to get rid of 90%,
[7:13] Speaker 6: get rid of 100%.
[7:13] Speaker 1: Just start fresh. Start fresh. There's no reason not to.
[7:18] Speaker 6: So regardless of who's playing well, that would be if
[7:23] Speaker 6: I'm the Bucs, for sure.
[7:24] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[7:25] Speaker 5: So just staying on that Bucs side, you got Giannis, Kenyon,
[7:28] Speaker 5: Under contract this season, next season, has a player option
[7:31] Speaker 5: after 2027 in that summer. Has voiced his concerns repeatedly
[7:35] Speaker 5: about wanting to be in a winning organization. And, Sean,
[7:37] Speaker 5: to your point, the Bucs have made a lot of decisions.
[7:38] Speaker 5: It seems like he's at least known or approved of
[7:42] Speaker 5: some of those. Obviously, there were reports that he wasn't
[7:44] Speaker 5: rocking with Dame, getting waived. One of Miles Turner didn't
[7:46] Speaker 5: realize what it was going to take for him to
[7:47] Speaker 5: get there. But now you've got multiple seasons now, first-round
[7:51] Speaker 5: playoff exits for a guy who wants to bring another championship,
[7:53] Speaker 5: add another piece of hard work to his resume. If
[7:56] Speaker 5: you're the Bucks, how are you looking at this thing?
[8:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, like Shai said, Brandon said, it just depends on him.
[8:06] Speaker 1: It depends on his energy. It depends on what he
[8:07] Speaker 1: wants to do moving forward. And you have to act accordingly.
[8:12] Speaker 1: He is an integral part of what you have done.
[8:15] Speaker 1: He did bring you a championship. So those things have
[8:20] Speaker 1: to go into account. But what does it look like
[8:24] Speaker 1: for him moving forward? What is his... Energy, like Rashad said,
[8:29] Speaker 1: what is his locker room presence? So things like this
[8:31] Speaker 1: need to be said from him. Like, let's just go
[8:34] Speaker 1: play basketball. You guys play basketball, and whatever happens is
[8:36] Speaker 1: going to happen. Yeah, we, to continue this same song
[8:46] Speaker 1: and dance year in, year out, offseason, what he's going
[8:49] Speaker 1: to do, because moves have been made that wasn't in
[8:56] Speaker 1: their favor. to go out and get another championship, I think.
[9:02] Speaker 1: And where are we now? Is our roster good enough
[9:07] Speaker 1: with Giannis to go out and compete? Which I think
[9:11] Speaker 1: that answer is no. Because you just don't fall off
[9:14] Speaker 1: a map, fall off the cliff if he's out this way. So, yeah,
[9:19] Speaker 1: I think you evaluated closely on how he is and
[9:24] Speaker 1: If there's an opportunity to get some draft picks and things,
[9:27] Speaker 1: like some first-round picks from some teams and put them
[9:30] Speaker 1: in the right situation, somewhere like... Yeah.
[9:36] Speaker 3: Yo, if you go to New York, who has more pressure,
[9:39] Speaker 3: him or Luka? To win a championship?
[9:42] Speaker 1: Giannis goes to New York. It just depends on who
[9:45] Speaker 1: they have to give up. Yeah, for real. I mean,
[9:48] Speaker 1: it's the East, so we are expecting... You know what
[9:51] Speaker 1: I'm saying?
[9:52] Speaker 3: You were expecting, like, if he goes to the Knicks
[9:55] Speaker 3: and they trade for Cat and he goes there, you know, like, Yeah.
[9:59] Speaker 1: Who has more? I think it's, they will become a favorite.
[10:04] Speaker 1: They'll become the favorite in these. So the pressure will
[10:07] Speaker 1: be there to, yeah, I think. But I really, like, Luka,
[10:13] Speaker 1: I don't, the pressure's not there yet until LeBron leaves. Okay.
[10:18] Speaker 1: I don't think he's facing that pressure until LeBron steps away.
[10:23] Speaker 1: There's a shadow there. I mean, just.
[10:27] Speaker 5: But keep it real. We talk about the East. The
[10:28] Speaker 5: difference between making the finals and winning the finals. If
[10:31] Speaker 5: you're looking at this Oklahoma City Thunder squad right now,
[10:34] Speaker 5: and you're any of these superstar guys around the league
[10:36] Speaker 5: that want to win a chip, what's the best path
[10:39] Speaker 5: to accomplish that?
[10:41] Speaker 1: Well, not go to the West. I can tell you that.
[10:43] Speaker 1: I mean... We're going to stay away from the West.
[10:47] Speaker 1: It seems like Oklahoma City is the.
[10:48] Speaker 3: There's too many superstars in the West, too.
[10:50] Speaker 1: You're going to be... Your best chance is to stay
[10:54] Speaker 1: in the East.
[10:56] Speaker 2: Oklahoma ain't all superstars. You got to get the right
[11:00] Speaker 2: role players, too, I feel like. For Bucks to be
[11:03] Speaker 2: the Bucks, I feel like they got to get the
[11:05] Speaker 2: right role players. They've been shooting for the stars, getting superstars,
[11:10] Speaker 2: and things ain't working. They're going to mess around and
[11:12] Speaker 2: do another dumb trade for Giannis is going to get
[11:16] Speaker 2: mad again. We're going to be talking about this all
[11:18] Speaker 2: over again.
[11:18] Speaker 3: Do you think it's the feeling of trying to get
[11:20] Speaker 3: back to the finals when teams win? They want that
[11:23] Speaker 3: feeling back. They make desperate moves or risky moves.
[11:26] Speaker 7: We got better to keep.
[11:30] Speaker 1: The fan base. To fool the fan base and be like,
[11:33] Speaker 1: we got better when we made a move and we
[11:35] Speaker 1: didn't have to. Some teams do that to where it's like,
[11:39] Speaker 1: we could just stay. Milwaukee. Milwaukee, yeah. Getting rid of
[11:43] Speaker 1: Drew and all that. That shit hurt. We could have
[11:46] Speaker 1: just stayed right where we were at and just kept going.
[11:49] Speaker 1: If you really think about basketball, they... Yannis and Drew,
[11:53] Speaker 1: I mean Yannis and Drew, that group, or the healthy
[11:55] Speaker 1: Chris Middleton, they played well together because they all, they
[11:59] Speaker 1: did something different, right? Yeah, if you wanted to upgrade anything,
[12:03] Speaker 1: it's the five position. Or if you want to change anything,
[12:07] Speaker 1: because you can go out and get you another seven-footer
[12:10] Speaker 1: that played from free-throw line to free-throw line. So that's
[12:14] Speaker 1: Brook Lopez, that's all he was, what? Three-point line, three-point line.
[12:18] Speaker 1: Just for me, it's hoop.
[12:20] Speaker 6: Like, when I want to talk hoop, I want to
[12:23] Speaker 6: talk the totality of how year to year, right? If
[12:29] Speaker 6: teams are competing, there's going to be that one team
[12:32] Speaker 6: that we see that's going to be above shoulders, head
[12:35] Speaker 6: and shoulders of everybody else. For this season, particularly. Every
[12:40] Speaker 6: season after that is still back to hoop. Everybody got
[12:44] Speaker 6: an equal chance. No matter how well you're playing in
[12:47] Speaker 6: the beginning, How well are you playing at the end?
[12:49] Speaker 6: It's still basketball. It's still we have a chance to
[12:53] Speaker 6: go out there and beat these guys, whether it's a
[12:55] Speaker 6: seven game sweep or first round exit, whatever it is,
[13:01] Speaker 6: these teams can play bad. Guys can come in and
[13:03] Speaker 6: shoot bad. We can go in there and play good defense.
[13:06] Speaker 6: I'm thinking this year is not an Oklahoma City sweep.
[13:11] Speaker 6: I think everyone's with the propaganda and the promotion of
[13:14] Speaker 6: how well they're playing. They didn't change their team. They
[13:17] Speaker 6: didn't upgrade. You got the West. Houston's playing well. New
[13:22] Speaker 6: York's playing well. Certain teams are playing well. Certain teams aren't.
[13:26] Speaker 6: Then we look at what hoop is. It's ups and downs,
[13:30] Speaker 6: game of runs. It's how you get your chemistry going
[13:34] Speaker 6: when you need to win six in a row, seven
[13:38] Speaker 6: in a row. We start talking about hoop later in
[13:41] Speaker 6: the season when these teams start playing better. These teams
[13:46] Speaker 6: that's playing good start playing a little bit worse.
[13:48] Speaker 1: They lose a couple games in a row. Competition starts
[13:52] Speaker 1: to spike up.
[13:54] Speaker 6: I look at basketball being basketball again, just like it
[13:57] Speaker 6: was last year. Last year, basketball was basketball because OKC
[14:01] Speaker 6: made a run. They came in. They made motherfuckers play.
[14:04] Speaker 6: They challenged everybody. But guess who else did the same
[14:07] Speaker 6: shit they did? The Indiana fucking Pacers. And that's not
[14:13] Speaker 6: a likely team that we like. Oh, they going to
[14:15] Speaker 6: make it to the fucking finals? Not thinking that.
[14:18] Speaker 1: No, their best player. And they still got there. I'm
[14:21] Speaker 1: talking about right now. And their best player is not
[14:24] Speaker 1: one of the top 15 best players in the league. Oh,
[14:26] Speaker 1: you don't think highly of top 15? 16, right at 16. Oh.
[14:31] Speaker 1: He's 16. That's 16. Okay.
[14:34] Speaker 4: He's not a bad guy.
[14:35] Speaker 6: I'm just saying, like, Indiana wasn't picked above everybody else,
[14:38] Speaker 6: but they play hard, they play smart, they play together.
[14:41] Speaker 6: If we get back to Hoop as an individual league,
[14:45] Speaker 6: these teams.
[14:45] Speaker 1: All have a chance.
[14:46] Speaker 5: So when you say you don't think the Thunder obviously
[14:48] Speaker 5: didn't improve the roster, but were able to keep their
[14:50] Speaker 5: big three-quarter together, got a lot of young guys, especially
[14:53] Speaker 5: now they're getting a ton of opportunities to play four quarters,
[14:55] Speaker 5: be put in this position, start the season 23-1, obviously
[14:58] Speaker 5: tied their franchise record with a 15-game winning streak.
[15:00] Speaker 1: Potential to set a new one. They had the biggest
[15:03] Speaker 1: free agency that you, the free agent you could possibly get.
[15:05] Speaker 1: That's experience. Yeah. A young team winning and winning it.
[15:10] Speaker 1: It was tough. Like the Denver series was tough. Indiana
[15:13] Speaker 1: series was tough. But they found a way. So I
[15:16] Speaker 1: think those experience carried over to this season. That's why
[15:20] Speaker 1: they came out motherfucking balls to the wall. Right? They
[15:23] Speaker 1: learned how to win in tough and close games. And
[15:27] Speaker 1: if Chase, like just imagine, like Shea haven't played fourth quarters.
[15:33] Speaker 1: So winning, if they need him to start playing fourth quarters,
[15:37] Speaker 1: they close or hasn't been out there. He hasn't been
[15:40] Speaker 1: in a position to have to close games yet.
[15:42] Speaker 6: Boston Celtics, when they won the championship next season, we
[15:46] Speaker 6: was expecting Jason Tatum to come out with something to prove.
[15:51] Speaker 1: He did. Started hot.
[15:54] Speaker 6: Everybody's like, all right, now this is the guy we
[15:57] Speaker 6: wanted to see in the finals.
[15:59] Speaker 1: Blah, zay, blah, zay, blah. Same when Jokic and them won.
[16:03] Speaker 1: They won it.
[16:04] Speaker 6: We wanted to see more Jamal Murray.
[16:05] Speaker 1: But they didn't get better, though. 100%.
[16:07] Speaker 6: But they still had the team chemistry. The chemistry's there.
[16:11] Speaker 6: So the chemistry carries over like we're talking about right now.
[16:14] Speaker 6: Their chemistry is carrying over. We don't see anybody jumping
[16:17] Speaker 6: out at us with their team, but Shea's doing what
[16:20] Speaker 6: Shea do. Just like Joker's going to do what he do.
[16:23] Speaker 6: Anybody who wins the championship, you're coming back with that
[16:25] Speaker 6: same bravado. You want something to prove, whether it's Jalen
[16:28] Speaker 6: Brown or Tatum or Jokers or Murray, or it's now
[16:32] Speaker 6: Jalen Williams has to come in and he has to say,
[16:34] Speaker 6: now I've been out half the time and these guys
[16:37] Speaker 6: have been winning without me. I got something to prove now.
[16:39] Speaker 6: But the rest of the league got to actually take
[16:41] Speaker 6: that as a slight. Like, we got to challenge them now.
[16:46] Speaker 6: We can't just let them walk through the whole shit.
[16:48] Speaker 6: That's why I say it's like when you're a hooper,
[16:51] Speaker 6: you take that challenge.
[16:52] Speaker 4: Well, I can hear you.
[16:53] Speaker 1: I hear you. I'm pretty sure the rest of the league, like,
[16:55] Speaker 1: tonight going to be our night. They taking that challenge
[16:58] Speaker 1: and they going out there getting smacked. Tonight is our night.
[17:00] Speaker 1: Tonight is our night. What we know is OKC has
[17:02] Speaker 1: the weakest strength.
[17:03] Speaker 4: Of schedule up to date.
[17:10] Speaker 1: It's been proven.
[17:11] Speaker 6: So when you can show that, you can show that
[17:15] Speaker 6: we really haven't been playing the tougher teams yet.
[17:18] Speaker 1: We got momentum based on our schedule. Now, we good.
[17:22] Speaker 1: The problem, too, though, is there's a lot of mid
[17:24] Speaker 1: around the league. It is.
[17:26] Speaker 6: That's why I said a lot of good teams are
[17:28] Speaker 6: playing bad. A lot of good teams.
[17:31] Speaker 1: Cleveland, Orlando, fucking Dallas, fucking San Antonio. They're not playing
[17:39] Speaker 1: the best basketball.
[17:39] Speaker 4: They don't have the best players.
[17:41] Speaker 1: That's exactly what I'm saying.
[17:43] Speaker 4: Even Phoenix. Phoenix don't got Jalen Green.
[17:45] Speaker 1: It's a lot of guys and a lot of teams.
[17:49] Speaker 1: They got a chance to get their ass whooped in
[17:50] Speaker 1: the seven-game series.
[17:51] Speaker 6: But they still have contention where they can provide a
[17:55] Speaker 6: challenge to the team that look like it's easy.
[17:59] Speaker 1: And that's just me talking about life. It ain't happened
[18:01] Speaker 1: yet through 24 games.
[18:02] Speaker 2: People ain't been trying to challenge them every night?
[18:05] Speaker 1: No. Oh, they just win?
[18:08] Speaker 6: It's young teams just out there trying to prove themselves individually.
[18:12] Speaker 1: These are not teams playing. Yeah, man.
[18:14] Speaker 4: These are not teams playing.
[18:16] Speaker 1: I'm not going to let you discredit them boys with
[18:19] Speaker 1: a 23-1 shot. That's cool. Like, no, them boys 23-1.
[18:21] Speaker 1: They out there putting foot in the boot. Every team
[18:24] Speaker 1: they play. Every team they are. Is it an NBA team?
[18:27] Speaker 4: Strength is scared all that NBA team.
[18:29] Speaker 1: Just like the college football NBA You don't get Notre
[18:32] Speaker 1: Dame didn't get in cuz they ain't never been in
[18:34] Speaker 1: the conference then we got shit to do with the
[18:37] Speaker 1: NBA So you Nobody nobody worth playing on the East
[18:41] Speaker 1: that's their fault nobody phone they gotta get that I
[18:44] Speaker 1: got a boy they are there what is this?
[18:46] Speaker 6: By 30 Who did the Lakers have? Who didn't the
[18:53] Speaker 6: Lakers have that game?
[18:55] Speaker 1: They didn't have Jalen Williams either, so what are you saying? Exactly.
[18:57] Speaker 1: So what are you saying? So when the team come
[19:00] Speaker 1: back around, come back around, you got to play Houston again.
[19:05] Speaker 1: They're going to smack them again. We'll see. They're going
[19:07] Speaker 1: to smack them again.
[19:08] Speaker 6: We will see. We're not going to say it on bias.
[19:11] Speaker 6: We're not going to say it on... I'm talking hoop.
[19:12] Speaker 4: I'm not talking hype. I'm not talking hype. I'm not
[19:14] Speaker 4: talking hype.
[19:15] Speaker 1: Yes, it is. But the fact is the strength of
[19:17] Speaker 1: schedule is the worst in the league. That's a stat.
[19:19] Speaker 1: That's a stat.
[19:20] Speaker 4: And the stat is it's 23-1.
[19:22] Speaker 1: That's a stat. The weakest strength of schedule in the league.
[19:24] Speaker 4: That's a stat.
[19:37] Speaker 1: 23-1. 23-1. I think the difference with this under team
[19:40] Speaker 1: versus these other teams that have won a championship, right?
[19:42] Speaker 1: You saw Selgin win a championship, tried to run it back.
[19:45] Speaker 1: So was you saying that last year when Cleveland won
[19:47] Speaker 1: a championship? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What?
[19:59] Speaker 4: What It don't matter. Because they were playing guys.
[20:02] Speaker 1: The NBA team. What do you mean? The NBA team.
[20:04] Speaker 1: They were playing guys.
[20:05] Speaker 4: They didn't have the worst strength of schedule. The NBA team.
[20:08] Speaker 1: That's the difference. They hooping, right? They hooping. 23-1.
[20:10] Speaker 4: They were playing teams that were healthy and that were good.
[20:14] Speaker 1: 23-1. The NBA team. Not playing the worst teams in
[20:17] Speaker 1: the NBA. 23-1. What's that?
[20:19] Speaker 4: Send them to the G League. Y'all know this.
[20:21] Speaker 1: 23-1. What are y'all acting like? 23-1. If we ain't
[20:25] Speaker 1: college basketball, we start our first 10 games against non-conference
[20:29] Speaker 1: teams that don't have a name. We start our whole
[20:32] Speaker 1: season on 10-0. We become number one. We ain't played
[20:36] Speaker 1: nobody yet. I used to see Pittsburgh do that all
[20:38] Speaker 1: the time. Come on, bro.
[20:40] Speaker 4: We know this is a thing.
[20:41] Speaker 1: We're talking about the NBA here. The thing. The NBA.
[20:43] Speaker 1: The worst teams in the NBA.
[20:45] Speaker 4: The worst teams in the NBA.
[20:47] Speaker 1: You have played all the worst teams. I'm going to
[20:50] Speaker 1: bring all the metrics I need so that you understand.
[20:54] Speaker 4: There's no understanding.
[20:55] Speaker 1: Obviously, there's no understanding. It's an NBA show.
[20:59] Speaker 5: They did, but 23-1, I think the difference between this
[21:01] Speaker 5: Thunder team and some of these other squads, Celtics tried
[21:03] Speaker 5: to run it back, but obviously came to those financial issues,
[21:05] Speaker 5: had to break up the team. The Thunder have so
[21:07] Speaker 5: many assets that even if they do stumble into a roadblock,
[21:11] Speaker 5: they can make a bunch of fuck-you trades. year to year,
[21:14] Speaker 5: just to keep this championship window open. Not to say
[21:16] Speaker 5: they have to, but looking at them now, 23 and one.
[21:20] Speaker 1: The fact that you won.
[21:21] Speaker 3: A championship and you came back the next year starting
[21:23] Speaker 3: off like this says a lot.
[21:24] Speaker 1: They have capital to pay with. It said a lot
[21:26] Speaker 1: with the Warriors too. It did.
[21:28] Speaker 4: Fuck are we talking about?
[21:29] Speaker 1: It is.
[21:30] Speaker 3: Fucking rebuttals is crazy. And they came back and won
[21:32] Speaker 3: the next year. Yeah, they didn't come back and win shit.
[21:34] Speaker 3: They went 73-9.
[21:34] Speaker 1: And they lost.
[21:35] Speaker 3: And then they came back and won the next year.
[21:37] Speaker 3: And then they came back and won the next year again.
[21:39] Speaker 3: What the fuck are we talking about?
[21:40] Speaker 1: Are you on that team? And they came back. They lost, right? 73-9.
[21:42] Speaker 1: And they came back and won. And then they came
[21:44] Speaker 1: back and won again, right? All right, let's talk fucking hoops.
[21:46] Speaker 1: They didn't have Steph Curry. They didn't have Faith Thompson.
[21:48] Speaker 1: They didn't have all those guys. Oklahoma City got Shea
[21:51] Speaker 1: Gildress Alexander and all them dudes 23-1. So all that
[21:55] Speaker 1: shit y'all talking about, I don't give a fuck about.
[21:57] Speaker 1: 23-1 right now.
[21:59] Speaker 3: I guess the same 30 teams every year that's in
[22:02] Speaker 3: the fucking NBA.
[22:03] Speaker 1: Let's talk who? The same 30 teams that's in the
[22:05] Speaker 1: NBA every year. There ain't no college shit. That's cool.
[22:08] Speaker 1: 23 and 1. I said what I said. Soon to
[22:12] Speaker 1: be 24 and 1. Like Kelly Robinson said. I gave
[22:14] Speaker 1: my take. Like Kelly Robinson said, 48 is soon to
[22:17] Speaker 1: be 49 and 0. I gave my take. Let the
[22:20] Speaker 1: chat tell it. It's obvious. Ask the chat. Oh, yeah, yeah.
[22:24] Speaker 1: We can do that. We can do all that. Because
[22:26] Speaker 1: we know who talked and who not. Yeah, we talked.
[22:28] Speaker 1: Or that.
[22:28] Speaker 4: Because y'all motherfuckers just can get.
[22:30] Speaker 1: Or that.
[22:30] Speaker 4: Y'all can just say shit.
[22:31] Speaker 1: Y'all ain't proving nothing. You're not talking. You ain't. You ain't.
[22:34] Speaker 1: You just talking. Yes!
[22:37] Speaker 4: Because what does the fucking schedule say?
[22:39] Speaker 1: They have the what? They have the what? The worst
[22:41] Speaker 1: and worst. And with that stat, what is the record?
[22:43] Speaker 1: They are 23-1. They're not giving me nothing but just talking.
[22:46] Speaker 1: Guess what the same point is. 23-1.
[22:47] Speaker 4: Come on, my niggas, give me something.
[22:49] Speaker 1: 23-1. Don't make me go through the chat. You know
[23:06] Speaker 1: the chat. They in the NBA. You know the chat.
[23:08] Speaker 1: Fuck with me. Y'all know the chat. Fuck with me.
[23:11] Speaker 1: You know the chat. Fuck with me.
[23:12] Speaker 4: Because they like real shit. They like real shit.
[23:14] Speaker 1: They like the fact. The fact is 23-1. They like that.
[23:24] Speaker 1: They are 23-1 and 115 straight games.
[23:27] Speaker 4: Is that a fact, Josiah? They like what they see.
[23:30] Speaker 1: Shea has played several fourth quarters. 11 fourth quarters that
[23:33] Speaker 1: he has not played in. They like what they see, man.
[23:35] Speaker 1: They see what they see. But now back to Giannis.
[23:38] Speaker 1: So back to Giannis. Giannis said he wants to win
[23:40] Speaker 1: a championship. I'm saying if you're looking at this Thunder
[23:43] Speaker 1: squad and thinking about all these teams that you want
[23:45] Speaker 1: to trade with, Those teams put you in an actual
[23:48] Speaker 1: position to compete with this Thunder squad as constructed obviously
[23:51] Speaker 1: industries a lot of stuff can happen throughout.
[23:52] Speaker 5: The rest No It just hope hope you can get
[23:57] Speaker 5: over things may didn't go to that's gonna put them
[23:59] Speaker 5: over the hump beyond it So so when you look
[24:01] Speaker 5: at this situation, mr B, what's the chance of the Bucks?
[24:03] Speaker 5: Don't trade the honest before the deadline.
[24:05] Speaker 3: If they're gonna do anything you trade them at the
[24:06] Speaker 3: end of the year So you have more leverage and
[24:08] Speaker 3: then the season you won't get you won't have much
[24:11] Speaker 3: leverage doing it during the middle of the season so.
[24:14] Speaker 1: If you're going to do anything, you do it at
[24:15] Speaker 1: the end of the season. Do it in the summer? Yeah. Summer, summertime.
[24:22] Speaker 5: So you think y'all will be on the Bucs by
[24:24] Speaker 5: the February 5th trade deadline, 2026?
[24:27] Speaker 1: If I'm the Bucs, yeah. You're not going nowhere, you
[24:30] Speaker 1: or your brother? If I'm the Bucs, I want to
[24:34] Speaker 1: get rid of you quick, fast, and in a hurry. Okay,
[24:37] Speaker 1: so you think they're trying to make that move. They
[24:39] Speaker 1: have to make the move.
[24:41] Speaker 3: That would just be stupid on their part. because they'll
[24:43] Speaker 3: be able to get more for him at the end.
[24:44] Speaker 1: Of the year.
[24:46] Speaker 5: So we asked the chat, who has more pressure to
[24:48] Speaker 5: win a chip, Luka with the Lakers or Giannis if
[24:50] Speaker 5: he did end up going to the Knicks?
[24:52] Speaker 1: 54% say Luka. It is the Lakers. He is Slovenian Jesus.
[24:56] Speaker 1: But let's keep this thing moving.

[25:52] Speaker 5: All right, well, we had some NBA Cup action last night.
[25:55] Speaker 5: Let's get into it. So NBA Cup quarterfinals tipped off
[25:57] Speaker 5: Tuesday night with an Eastern Conference doubleheader. Raptors were undefeated
[26:01] Speaker 5: in NBA Cup group play to take the top spot
[26:04] Speaker 5: in the East. During a stretch in which they went 13-1,
[26:06] Speaker 5: Toronto's cooled off since then, though, going 1-5 in their
[26:09] Speaker 5: last six games, entering the matchup with former Knick R.J.
[26:13] Speaker 5: Barrett sidelined since November 23rd with a knee sprain. Meanwhile,
[26:16] Speaker 5: the Knicks and their high-powered offense were in the quarterfinals
[26:18] Speaker 5: for the third straight season, looking to advance to Sin
[26:22] Speaker 5: City for the first time. So New York proved to
[26:24] Speaker 5: be too much for Toronto on this one with Jalen
[26:26] Speaker 5: Brunson putting the team on his back. Let's take a
[26:28] Speaker 5: look at the highlights if we can, please.
[26:32] Speaker 1: So, Brunson.
[26:34] Speaker 5: And Brandon Ingram both came out firing to start the game,
[26:37] Speaker 5: with the Knicks captain putting up 20 in the first quarter,
[26:40] Speaker 5: while Ingram had 17 of his team high 31 in
[26:42] Speaker 5: the first frame as well. Raptors were up four after
[26:45] Speaker 5: the first quarter, but then things fell apart. Toronto missed
[26:48] Speaker 5: 13 of their first 15 shot attempts, finished five for
[26:50] Speaker 5: 21 in the second quarter, getting outscored 34-13. As the
[26:54] Speaker 5: Knicks took a 17-point lead into the break, never looked back,
[26:57] Speaker 5: leading this game by as much as 24 points. So
[27:00] Speaker 5: Brunton had a season-high 26 points in the first half,
[27:03] Speaker 5: finished with 35, connecting on six of his nine three-point attempts.
[27:06] Speaker 5: Josh Hart added a season-high 21 points on eight of
[27:09] Speaker 5: 11 shooting, including four of seven from deep. The Big
[27:13] Speaker 5: Bodega have 14 points and 16 rebounds. Mikael Bridges added
[27:16] Speaker 5: 15 in OG, and Adobe had 13 six boards and
[27:19] Speaker 5: two blocks, along with two steals against his former team.
[27:23] Speaker 1: That's nice.
[27:25] Speaker 5: The Knicks got a much-needed road win to improve to
[27:28] Speaker 5: four and six away from the crib. They have struggled,
[27:30] Speaker 5: I think, 13-1 at home so far this season. They
[27:34] Speaker 5: were 3-6 on the road entering this game and proved
[27:37] Speaker 5: to 4-6. Thanks a lot to players like that. You
[27:39] Speaker 5: see Jalen Brunson. I heard doing his thing.
[27:45] Speaker 2: They look like playoffs right there.
[27:51] Speaker 1: Looks like losing in the finals next.
[27:53] Speaker 5: That team is nice. This is a very nice squad.
[27:56] Speaker 5: Like I said, punch their ticket.
[27:59] Speaker 1: Look at him.
[28:00] Speaker 5: To Vegas for the final four. So looking at this game,
[28:03] Speaker 5: what's the biggest takeaways from the Knicks' quarterfinal win over
[28:06] Speaker 5: the Raptors in the NBA Cup? Sean, what do you
[28:10] Speaker 5: think about this Knicks squad?
[28:12] Speaker 1: You feel what my squad do? Finally getting their chemistry together.
[28:16] Speaker 1: Cat figured out where he's fitting in. I think it'll
[28:19] Speaker 1: be a bad decision on their part to try to
[28:22] Speaker 1: get rid of any of the pieces right now because
[28:24] Speaker 1: they're starting to get their lather going. They're starting to
[28:27] Speaker 1: get a little bit of momentum, figuring out who need
[28:30] Speaker 1: to be where, who taking what shots. They playing good defense.
[28:34] Speaker 1: I like Mitchell Robinson getting his shit together. He's getting
[28:37] Speaker 1: his momentum going. I think Jordan Clarkson starting his spot
[28:41] Speaker 1: on the team. They look good. They look energized.
[28:45] Speaker 6: I think Mike finally got what he needed to get
[28:49] Speaker 6: over to them as far as messaging and what they
[28:51] Speaker 6: want to do. I think that's good on his part
[28:54] Speaker 6: because it's early. Usually that happens in the first year
[28:57] Speaker 6: later in the season. But they look good. They look solid.
[29:01] Speaker 6: I think if they sustain it, Mikael Bridges looks great.
[29:04] Speaker 6: Josh Hart, get him to rebound a little bit more
[29:07] Speaker 6: like he was doing before. I think it can be
[29:09] Speaker 6: another breakout season for the Knicks.
[29:11] Speaker 5: I think they were 2-3 to start the season, 15-4
[29:14] Speaker 5: since then. So it seemed to figure itself. I want
[29:16] Speaker 5: to say their offense was fifth highest in the league
[29:18] Speaker 5: last season. I think they're third now. So Mike Brown
[29:20] Speaker 5: is what he's been known to do.
[29:22] Speaker 1: It ain't 23-1. But, you know what I'm saying? You
[29:25] Speaker 1: know what I'm saying?
[29:27] Speaker 4: I'm just talking hoop.
[29:28] Speaker 1: It ain't 23 on one. You know what I'm saying?
[29:31] Speaker 1: The Pistons ain't 23 on one. You know what I'm saying?
[29:33] Speaker 1: But momentum is momentum. You know what I'm saying? When
[29:36] Speaker 1: you can hoop, you can hoop. You know what I'm saying?
[29:38] Speaker 4: Go out there.
[29:40] Speaker 1: And you compete. You know what I'm saying? Go out
[29:42] Speaker 1: there and look good. You know what I'm saying? I'm
[29:44] Speaker 1: playing Toronto, man. I'm playing Toronto, man.
[29:47] Speaker 5: I play fifth right now, but they've been struggling. I
[29:48] Speaker 5: was fifth in the East right now, but they've been struggling.
[29:50] Speaker 1: I was a little late. Playing NBA team? I believe
[29:53] Speaker 1: all the teams in the NBA, other than preseason, will
[29:55] Speaker 1: play NBA. They play the team that the NBA made
[29:58] Speaker 1: on the schedule? So they can't control that, though, right?
[30:00] Speaker 1: I don't think the teams are allowed to. But they
[30:02] Speaker 1: have to play the games, though, right? They can't pick
[30:06] Speaker 1: at you. This team's struggling. They don't want to play
[30:07] Speaker 1: this team.
[30:08] Speaker 4: They ain't do that, did they?
[30:13] Speaker 1: Not to my knowledge. Okay, all right, cool. They're just
[30:15] Speaker 1: playing the team. Kind of. But I'm merely a host.
[30:17] Speaker 1: What did you say about the Knicks? What did you
[30:19] Speaker 1: say about the Knicks? No, no, no, the Knicks. Knicks 17-7.
[30:22] Speaker 5: What did you say about the Knicks? Started season two
[30:24] Speaker 5: and three, 15-4, since then, 17-7.
[30:26] Speaker 1: Uh-huh. What about them? Are they going to get to
[30:30] Speaker 1: the finals?
[30:31] Speaker 3: I think they can out of the East, but they're
[30:32] Speaker 3: going to have to find another true scorer and somebody
[30:34] Speaker 3: to get the ball out of Brunson's hand because we
[30:36] Speaker 3: saw last year what happens when they just put a
[30:38] Speaker 3: bigger guard on them.
[30:39] Speaker 1: They got a different. I do like I do like
[30:42] Speaker 1: Bridges and I do like OG.
[30:44] Speaker 3: I mean, they average around 14, 15 a night. So
[30:46] Speaker 3: that's fine right there. But they're going to do something
[30:48] Speaker 3: with Cat. I don't think it's the offense and the
[30:50] Speaker 3: defensive Mike Brown's about.
[30:53] Speaker 1: I get it.
[30:54] Speaker 3: But we talk about when we talk who now we
[30:56] Speaker 3: talk about when we get to the playoffs.
[30:58] Speaker 1: Right.
[30:58] Speaker 3: And we put that bigger guard on Brunson. And you
[31:01] Speaker 3: know how he get when, you know, bigger guard. You
[31:02] Speaker 3: ain't got no other true ball handler or no true scorer.
[31:05] Speaker 3: So that's what the Knicks going to have to go do.
[31:06] Speaker 1: They got to give him the ball. They'll get there. But,
[31:08] Speaker 1: you know, let's talk Hoot.
[31:10] Speaker 3: We saw what happened last year.
[31:11] Speaker 1: I could have swore when we was talking Hoot, we
[31:13] Speaker 1: were saying that Brunson is not even the number one
[31:16] Speaker 1: option for a team like the Knicks.
[31:20] Speaker 5: We've had that conversation before, and that's been the discourse
[31:23] Speaker 5: that Brunson can't lead them to a championship or to
[31:26] Speaker 5: a final. People have said this in years past. A
[31:29] Speaker 5: different Brunson this year, though. Getting to it early. I
[31:31] Speaker 5: think second in the league in first quarter scoring.
[31:33] Speaker 1: Changing it up. They need bigger guards off the bench, too.
[31:35] Speaker 1: They need bigger guards. So he's going first instead of
[31:37] Speaker 1: fourth now? Getting them off to a good start. I
[31:40] Speaker 1: can't just tell you what's going on. But he's going first.
[31:42] Speaker 1: Merely hosting.
[31:42] Speaker 4: So he's going first and fourth instead of the whole game.
[31:46] Speaker 1: Just, I think, focusing on that emphasis of putting up points.
[31:49] Speaker 1: I think if he is doing it that way, then, yeah,
[31:51] Speaker 1: it's cool. It's still been the closer that he has been, but.
[31:54] Speaker 1: Be more of a team player. Come on, man. You
[31:56] Speaker 1: know down the stretch, King, they need another team. Towns
[31:59] Speaker 1: only have 14. Let's talk hoop. Yeah, Towns is... Big
[32:03] Speaker 1: average 22 and 12. We know how that get. Big
[32:06] Speaker 1: 22 and 12.
[32:07] Speaker 6: He's averaging 22 and 12 of the center for the
[32:11] Speaker 6: New York Knicks.
[32:12] Speaker 1: As your second option. As the second option. The second
[32:14] Speaker 1: option should be averaging 25. Really? Really? Man, that don't
[32:19] Speaker 1: sound like hoop to me. That don't sound like hoop
[32:21] Speaker 1: to me. You're 22-12 for a center in the New
[32:24] Speaker 1: York Knicks?
[32:24] Speaker 4: For him?
[32:26] Speaker 1: Sounds like hoop to me. Yes. He's getting to it.
[32:31] Speaker 1: And let's say he playing bad. That's 22-12. He's not
[32:34] Speaker 1: playing great. I thought we was talking. I thought we
[32:38] Speaker 1: was talking.
[32:39] Speaker 4: How much is Brunson averaging?
[32:40] Speaker 1: It's not going to win your finals. 28? He's been complaining.
[32:43] Speaker 1: Brunson's averaging 28? Yeah. It's not going to win your finals. Damn,
[32:46] Speaker 1: that's not enough? Nope. Not to win a final. Not enough.
[32:49] Speaker 1: It gets you here, though. You get there all you want.
[32:52] Speaker 1: You get there all you want. They have not got
[32:55] Speaker 1: there since 1999.
[32:56] Speaker 4: Cool, but I think they have experience on their side
[32:58] Speaker 4: as well.
[32:59] Speaker 1: Yes. The last few years, how it has went down.
[33:03] Speaker 1: They get back to that point with a different voice
[33:05] Speaker 1: in the locker room. What voice? Mike. Oh. With Mike Brown,
[33:09] Speaker 1: that different voice. And I think guys would be fresher now.
[33:14] Speaker 1: He's not wearing guys out. Mm-hmm. In that regard, playing
[33:17] Speaker 1: guys 42 a night in the regular season. Team shit.
[33:21] Speaker 1: Spread the minutes out. And relying on other guys. So
[33:24] Speaker 1: I think the Knicks have a chance to come out
[33:25] Speaker 1: of the East, I do. Because it's wide open for
[33:29] Speaker 1: them to get back to the finals this year. Facts. So,
[33:34] Speaker 1: I think they have, yeah, I think 22 and 12
[33:36] Speaker 1: as the second option is good enough when your lead
[33:39] Speaker 1: guy is averaging 28. To win it all? Yeah, I
[33:42] Speaker 1: think 22 and 12 consistently. No, to win it?
[33:44] Speaker 4: To win it? I think if.
[33:47] Speaker 1: He's not getting I'm not saying he's not even averaging that.
[33:49] Speaker 1: I'm not picking them all if they were to match up.
[33:51] Speaker 1: I'm not picking up right today. I'm not picking them
[33:53] Speaker 1: up for Oklahoma City today. All we're going to do
[33:55] Speaker 1: is put a bigger guard on Brunson. That would be
[33:58] Speaker 1: a good matchup. All we're going to do is put
[33:59] Speaker 1: a bigger guard on Brunson. Like OG and I hear Dorkin.
[34:03] Speaker 1: The thing is they do have bodies to throw at him.
[34:05] Speaker 1: OKC is going to whoop me ass. They're going to
[34:07] Speaker 1: have to throw a lot of bodies. OKC is going
[34:10] Speaker 1: to beat them in five. We're having two combos. We're
[34:12] Speaker 1: having two combos. Let's merge them into one. They have a,
[34:15] Speaker 1: they have a, yeah. Yes, thank you, Josiah. I feel
[34:17] Speaker 1: like they have a chance.
[34:19] Speaker 2: This is good for New York confidence if they make
[34:22] Speaker 2: it to the in-season tournament. That's all it's about. They're
[34:25] Speaker 2: confident to get over the hump. Like, this type of
[34:27] Speaker 2: stuff they need. Like, they never really experienced winning. They
[34:30] Speaker 2: ain't made it to no final. They playing for a
[34:32] Speaker 2: million dollars. That's what they playing for.
[34:33] Speaker 1: They ain't playing for the real crown. You know what
[34:35] Speaker 1: you can do.
[34:36] Speaker 3: Do with that exactly and that's what they gonna get
[34:39] Speaker 3: if they keep it up like this right now if
[34:41] Speaker 3: they don't get capped the fuck up out of there you.
[34:43] Speaker 1: Know what's gonna happen they need to get capped.
[34:44] Speaker 3: They need a true score dog all i gotta do
[34:47] Speaker 3: is go put one uh go put jb or put
[34:49] Speaker 3: somebody on brunson uh brunson during the finals and you
[34:52] Speaker 3: know what time it is wow that's.
[34:54] Speaker 1: All indiana did too we gonna just keep.
[34:56] Speaker 3: Throwing somebody at you all day ain't nothing changing It's
[35:00] Speaker 3: the same shit.
[35:02] Speaker 1: Stop playing. That's fine. You can have all that. Them
[35:05] Speaker 1: other dudes over there, OKC, is not fucking around. Let's
[35:08] Speaker 1: be honest. Bro, that's a young team that won a championship,
[35:13] Speaker 1: came out the next year like this. Like, what are
[35:17] Speaker 1: we talking about? They're not playing around out there. They're
[35:20] Speaker 1: going to play each other. Thankfully, we will see. Better
[35:24] Speaker 1: go get that boy. Go get that boy. What happened
[35:29] Speaker 1: to that boy? You better go get that boy. I
[35:33] Speaker 1: guess now we see what that's about. Yeah, you better
[35:35] Speaker 1: go get that boy. We see what that rant's about.
[35:37] Speaker 1: You better go get that boy. It ain't even hoop tall.
[35:40] Speaker 1: It just wants its boy to be over there. Listen,
[35:42] Speaker 1: I don't care. We good. New York is good.
[35:46] Speaker 3: New York is good.
[35:48] Speaker 1: We don't got to get nothing. New York better do that.
[35:52] Speaker 1: I ain't listening to nothing over there. I'm talking about
[35:53] Speaker 1: what New York got to do. You see, I got
[35:55] Speaker 1: the Rockefeller. I got the real thing on me. You
[35:57] Speaker 1: know what I'm saying? I'm talking real New York cool.
[35:59] Speaker 1: What are we talking about? Go ask about me in
[36:02] Speaker 1: New York at Rucka. Everybody. Yeah. That's fair. Stop playing.
[36:06] Speaker 1: That's not fair. I said that's fair. That is fair.
[36:08] Speaker 1: That is fair. It looks fair. Y'all, look at that.
[36:11] Speaker 1: He was in Brooklyn. It wasn't in New York, okay?
[36:16] Speaker 1: He was in Brooklyn. He was in Brooklyn Nets, okay? Well,
[36:19] Speaker 1: Captain started the season. He was kind of struggling to
[36:22] Speaker 1: find his way back. Got courtside with Brooklyn. But y'all
[36:25] Speaker 1: tell him that 22 and 12 is a number two option. Okay?
[36:28] Speaker 1: Say that. I'm saying 22 and 12 is the number
[36:31] Speaker 1: two option in Adam Silver's modern NBA. I said it's
[36:34] Speaker 1: good enough. It is good. I don't think it's enough
[36:36] Speaker 1: to win the finals.
[36:37] Speaker 3: That's all. I'm not saying they're not going to get there.
[36:39] Speaker 3: It's just not enough to win it.
[36:41] Speaker 1: So in order to average 22, you got to have
[36:42] Speaker 1: some game, you know. You got to have a couple thirds.
[36:44] Speaker 1: There's a big state average. He's not never average 20, though.
[36:48] Speaker 4: He can get you 18 boards.
[36:50] Speaker 1: Yeah. He can get you 20. Over there, up in.
[36:52] Speaker 1: You got that bitch going. He average 20, like. Yeah.
[36:56] Speaker 5: Only two teams in the league that have two 25-point-per-game scores.
[36:59] Speaker 5: So far, I believe that is the Lakers with Luka,
[37:01] Speaker 5: Austin Reeves, and then the Nuggets with Joker and Jamal Murray.
[37:04] Speaker 5: So there's the third team.
[37:07] Speaker 1: Oh, no, they've got Brunson at 28, and then a
[37:09] Speaker 1: cat at 25. 225 points per game. Sounds good to me. Michelle,
[37:16] Speaker 1: you feel like Jalen Brunson can take this supporting cast? Oh, yeah.
[37:20] Speaker 1: Get them out of these?
[37:20] Speaker 6: They're not even playing their best basketball right now. That's
[37:23] Speaker 6: the difference when you're talking hoop. Look at everybody's playing.
[37:28] Speaker 6: The only team playing really good basketball is OKC right
[37:31] Speaker 6: now and Houston. Houston's playing really good basketball. Those two
[37:34] Speaker 6: teams are playing very good basketball right now. Everybody else
[37:37] Speaker 6: is trying to find their way. And once everybody starts
[37:40] Speaker 6: hitting their stride, you're going to start seeing basketball played
[37:43] Speaker 6: a different way. Everybody's going to be competing differently. That's
[37:46] Speaker 6: all I've been meaning to say the whole time.
[37:49] Speaker 1: Pistons have also been playing very, very well. Lakers have
[37:52] Speaker 1: been playing a good team. When they hit their stride,
[37:54] Speaker 1: the other team go beat motherfuckers.
[37:57] Speaker 2: I was about to say, is it time for B.I.
[38:01] Speaker 2: to become like a star? Take over a team?
[38:05] Speaker 1: Do it feel like DeRozan time though over there? Did
[38:08] Speaker 1: it feel reminiscent of how DeRozan was over there? Boston.
[38:12] Speaker 3: Boston, 8-2, the last 10. What about the number one
[38:15] Speaker 3: option that y'all been... I can't wait to get to
[38:17] Speaker 3: that one. I can't wait to get to that one.
[38:20] Speaker 3: We will be speaking about Jalen Brown momentarily.
[38:23] Speaker 1: Damn, what's up, man?
[38:25] Speaker 3: Y'all was clowning me about that Jalen Brown shit.
[38:28] Speaker 1: And it's starting to look like he really is the
[38:30] Speaker 1: number one option. Yeah, he is now that that man... No, no, no. No, no, no. No, no, no. No, no, no. No, no, no.
[38:37] Speaker 1: Now that that man gone, we can get him up
[38:40] Speaker 1: out of here. We can get him up out of here.
[38:45] Speaker 1: I'm just saying, bro.
[38:46] Speaker 3: I'm just saying, y'all was clowning Jalen Brown and it
[38:48] Speaker 3: looked like everything I was saying.
[38:49] Speaker 1: The only thing people clown Jalen Brown about is that Beijing...
[38:53] Speaker 1: That's right. He's leaving his mark. He's leaving his mark.
[38:55] Speaker 1: He's going to keep leaving his mark at all times.
[38:57] Speaker 1: He keeps leaving his mark. I don't care if he
[38:59] Speaker 1: can't go left or not.
[39:00] Speaker 3: I know one thing, he's been given the last, the
[39:03] Speaker 3: number one option is that's from Orlando to Cleveland to Detroit.
[39:07] Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. So he averaging now
[39:10] Speaker 1: with the other dude average with both of them there, right?
[39:14] Speaker 3: But he don't fit no he average in 30.
[39:19] Speaker 1: Yeah, he average in 30 right now. Huh?
[39:21] Speaker 3: Who know he's having a 30 right now Jay LeBron
[39:22] Speaker 3: without a left hand So but so without without without
[39:25] Speaker 3: Jason Tatum and out all the.
[39:26] Speaker 1: Money Average when he was there though, Jason Tatum average
[39:29] Speaker 1: 30 with Jalen Brown, but he averaged it though He
[39:31] Speaker 1: should be averaging like 37 38 if he's poster He
[39:33] Speaker 1: should be doing what he's doing. So it's going out.
[39:45] Speaker 3: Should be 35 36 this is still his career we
[39:48] Speaker 3: gotta be honest this is still his career numbers derrick
[39:50] Speaker 3: white's supposed to be doing more but he's.
[39:52] Speaker 1: Not i thought about you so that says a lot.
[39:54] Speaker 6: About so jalen brown is expecting somebody to pick up slack.
[39:58] Speaker 1: But they're not but they're not though but they're not
[40:01] Speaker 1: though right exactly so he can't be too selfish and
[40:04] Speaker 1: still win the man he's running away they're winning basketball
[40:08] Speaker 1: him average i get what you're saying the man is
[40:09] Speaker 1: But he's playing winning basketball averaging 30. By himself. If
[40:13] Speaker 1: he was averaging 37, it wouldn't be winning basketball. No,
[40:16] Speaker 1: it wouldn't be. He wouldn't be averaging 37 because Derek
[40:19] Speaker 1: White would be doing his fucking job.
[40:21] Speaker 3: And he's not doing his job. So now I got
[40:23] Speaker 3: to go out here and go get 30. I just
[40:24] Speaker 3: gave the Lakers 38-8. He's supposed to get.
[40:26] Speaker 4: 30, though.
[40:27] Speaker 1: I just gave... Hey, yo.
[40:29] Speaker 4: Your boy over there in Cleveland?
[40:31] Speaker 1: Yeah, triple-double. He got that. Your boy up in Memphis.
[40:34] Speaker 1: Shook just not responding to that.
[40:37] Speaker 4: Shook just shaking his head.
[40:39] Speaker 1: I'm just saying the last five games. I'm just saying
[40:41] Speaker 1: that's the number one option. We're going to talk Jalen
[40:43] Speaker 1: Brown in just a moment.
[40:44] Speaker 5: We are currently talking the New York Knicks, the NBA Cup,
[40:46] Speaker 5: the thrilling, exhilarating NBA Cup.
[40:49] Speaker 1: Yeah. We talked about it. You were talking about Brandon Eno.
[40:52] Speaker 1: I was talking about B.I. That's somebody fucking went to
[40:56] Speaker 1: the Milwaukee or something. I mean, he looked way better
[41:00] Speaker 1: than Scottie than me when he out there. That's what
[41:02] Speaker 1: I'm saying.
[41:03] Speaker 6: I think they forced Scottie to look a certain way.
[41:06] Speaker 1: Scottie do more. B.I. scored. We know that.
[41:08] Speaker 6: No, and I agree. Scottie do do more. But B.I.,
[41:11] Speaker 6: like he's saying, he looks like the star guy.
[41:14] Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay. I dig it.
[41:15] Speaker 2: But what if you add Giannis to a team like that?
[41:19] Speaker 1: Yeah. With, like, B.I. and Barnes. Like, he need players
[41:22] Speaker 1: like that to me. No, he need shot makers.
[41:25] Speaker 4: B.I.
[41:25] Speaker 1: Is not a shot maker. He be catching shoot guys.
[41:28] Speaker 4: B.I.
[41:28] Speaker 1: Is a rhythm scorer. B.I. is a bucket. B.I. is
[41:31] Speaker 1: a bucket, but he got to massage that thing. B.I.
[41:33] Speaker 1: got to get to his... He got to see it
[41:35] Speaker 1: like the... He need catching shoot guys. Look how long
[41:36] Speaker 1: his team is. Defensively, yeah, like somebody like that, man,
[41:40] Speaker 1: you're not getting... You trying to pay them taxes? Yeah,
[41:51] Speaker 1: that's the only thing.
[41:52] Speaker 5: Sufficient Raptors Discord for the month of December.
[41:56] Speaker 1: Back to this Knicks squad. So we know Jalen Brunson. Man,
[41:59] Speaker 1: fuck the Knicks. God damn, this is trash. We acting
[42:03] Speaker 1: like they're the Lakers. Come on, let's stop. I want
[42:06] Speaker 1: to talk about OG pushing this shit. Come on. Fuck.
[42:10] Speaker 1: Go to Jalen Brown. I want to hear more of
[42:12] Speaker 1: this shit. We're building up the tension. He talked about Brunson, okay,
[42:17] Speaker 1: fucking Towns, 22-12. But we did talk about Brunson and Towns.
[42:21] Speaker 1: That's my point. So the Knicks have their big two solidified.
[42:25] Speaker 1: But obviously, when you look at this team, Brunson leads
[42:27] Speaker 1: the way 28 points per game, seeking his third straight
[42:29] Speaker 1: All-NBA All-Star period. Cat, 22-12. 22-12.
[42:33] Speaker 5: Yeah, leading the league in rebounding. Third member up for debate.
[42:37] Speaker 5: Knicks are 8-1 since Josh Hart entered the starting lineup.
[42:40] Speaker 5: He had a season-high 21 points last night. OG's starting
[42:43] Speaker 5: to find himself since returning from hamstring injury, putting up 16-5.
[42:45] Speaker 5: Then you got Ironman Mikael Bridges doing it on both ends,
[42:50] Speaker 5: top five in steals, 16.4 points per game. So when
[42:52] Speaker 5: you look at this Knicks squad, who would you consider
[42:54] Speaker 5: the third member of the Knicks quote-unquote big three?
[42:56] Speaker 1: You don't need a big three. It's interchangeable. I like that.
[43:00] Speaker 1: They do that as long as the other three guys
[43:02] Speaker 1: do their job, night in, night out, consistently. And they
[43:06] Speaker 1: doing that, and you got a couple guys off the
[43:08] Speaker 1: bench doing their job. You don't need a third score
[43:11] Speaker 1: to be out there clogging shit up, ball stopping. Forcing it. Yeah,
[43:15] Speaker 1: you don't need another ball stopper. You need somebody that's
[43:18] Speaker 1: going to do his job, be able to get you 15,
[43:21] Speaker 1: 16 points a night, consistently. You got the other guy
[43:25] Speaker 1: that's gonna get you 14, 15 consistently. Dude off the
[43:29] Speaker 1: bench gonna give you 16, 17 off the bench consistently.
[43:32] Speaker 1: That's what you need.
[43:33] Speaker 6: I like that because when you look at that, they
[43:35] Speaker 6: go back to the old school way. When you had
[43:37] Speaker 6: the two main guys and then you had your corner
[43:40] Speaker 6: niggas that was out there. We didn't know who was
[43:43] Speaker 6: going to get the corner today, but I got the block.
[43:46] Speaker 4: I got it.
[43:47] Speaker 1: I got to take care of it. They came my
[43:49] Speaker 1: way today.
[43:49] Speaker 6: You got Clarkson that came my way today. OG came
[43:53] Speaker 6: my way today. Got Mikael. But then you got Josh Hart.
[43:57] Speaker 6: You got four motherfuckers that might come their way. Two
[44:00] Speaker 6: of them might go off. And we might blow a
[44:02] Speaker 6: team out if all three of us get going. But
[44:05] Speaker 6: we just need consistency from our main two guys. Make
[44:09] Speaker 6: sure y'all do what y'all supposed to do. We got
[44:11] Speaker 6: y'all back.
[44:12] Speaker 2: I don't think they could have a third scorer because
[44:15] Speaker 2: of their style of play. They hold the ball too much. Like, OKC,
[44:20] Speaker 2: everybody shoots the goddamn ball. But New York, you bringing
[44:23] Speaker 2: it up. Bronson picking roles. Very settlement. Yeah, it's so stagnant.
[44:30] Speaker 2: They can't have a third, somebody else averaging like a,
[44:34] Speaker 2: Who's the third scorer for OKC, the tall?
[44:36] Speaker 1: Don't matter. Oh, Chet. Chet.
[44:38] Speaker 2: They can't have this. They got Chet Williams and Shea.
[44:43] Speaker 2: In New York, you can only have two. The ball
[44:46] Speaker 2: stopped too much over there. All the other points are
[44:48] Speaker 2: going to come off of corner threes and putbacks.
[44:51] Speaker 3: But everybody is interchangeable, so they don't need a third option.
[44:57] Speaker 1: Yeah. The other guys, they all just work hard. Yep.
[45:01] Speaker 1: Lighter workload this season, too. We talked about Tibbs last year.
[45:03] Speaker 5: This season, or last season, I want to say the
[45:05] Speaker 5: Knicks had five players in the top 20 minutes per game.
[45:07] Speaker 1: Yeah. This season, only two. The starting five. Yeah. The
[45:12] Speaker 1: starting five was in the top 20. All five in
[45:14] Speaker 1: the top 20 minutes played. This season, only two of
[45:16] Speaker 1: that starting five. But that's where the confidence comes in.
[45:18] Speaker 1: But do that style win basketball, though?
[45:21] Speaker 6: Well, you got to let it sustain itself to find out.
[45:25] Speaker 6: We can't never find out because they're trying to change.
[45:28] Speaker 1: Up to this, or we need a third scorer, we
[45:30] Speaker 1: need this.
[45:32] Speaker 6: To me, that's the bravado that fucks up the team,
[45:35] Speaker 6: having put pressure on that one guy who could be
[45:38] Speaker 6: the third option.
[45:39] Speaker 1: Hey, man, you need to do more.
[45:41] Speaker 4: But then you got four guys.
[45:43] Speaker 6: Looking at each other like, coach is giving us more minutes.
[45:47] Speaker 6: Before we was all logged in trying to figure out
[45:50] Speaker 6: who was going to play. Now he's sharing the sugar.
[45:52] Speaker 6: He's like, look, I'm giving y'all all confidence to prove yourself.
[45:56] Speaker 6: Prove that you deserve these minutes. You're giving them crumbs, man.
[45:59] Speaker 1: For Mike Brown? You're giving the other four crumbs. Mike Brown?
[46:03] Speaker 6: You're giving a heart, the bridges. So when we on
[46:06] Speaker 6: the corner, do we make good of the crumbs that
[46:08] Speaker 6: we get?
[46:08] Speaker 1: Of course. All right, so that's what you do. You
[46:11] Speaker 1: take the brick and you flip that bitch. If you
[46:14] Speaker 1: don't flip it, customers ain't coming around today. You got
[46:17] Speaker 1: to figure it out. That's not sustainable, bro. It is.
[46:19] Speaker 2: Everybody's fighting for the crumbs, bro. Yes, bro, because listen.
[46:22] Speaker 2: That calls like rips in the locker room.
[46:24] Speaker 1: No, it don't. I ain't passing to that. You know
[46:26] Speaker 1: what we always going to have? Crumbs. There's always going
[46:30] Speaker 1: to be some crumbs here. But see, what happened is
[46:33] Speaker 1: they probably... On the corner, on the corner, it's levels of...
[46:37] Speaker 1: It's levels of... I ain't eating. I ain't eating. So
[46:40] Speaker 1: what you can't have is what happened... I mean, that's
[46:42] Speaker 1: what people be doing in life. They ain't eating, they
[46:44] Speaker 1: start complaining. Right, what you can't have with the corner, nigga,
[46:46] Speaker 1: the shit happened to Dallas today when the nigga didn't
[46:47] Speaker 1: swing the ball to deal with the corner. Thank you,
[46:50] Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying, bro.
[46:51] Speaker 4: Like, that's when shit get tricky.
[46:54] Speaker 1: Yeah. But as long as that mother, you swing, swing it...
[46:57] Speaker 1: And you're playing good basketball. Listen, you swing, swing it...
[47:02] Speaker 1: I'ma do the same for you.
[47:03] Speaker 4: I have to, yeah. If you don't swing, if you
[47:06] Speaker 4: swing and you shoot.
[47:07] Speaker 1: Or fake it. Yeah. I'm gonna do the same thing
[47:10] Speaker 1: the next trip. If you're in the corner, I'm, oh shit,
[47:12] Speaker 1: he did, oh. He hit me with that shit.
[47:15] Speaker 4: Oh shit.
[47:16] Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. The fake pass. Yeah. But if
[47:19] Speaker 1: they don't do that, they don't do that, what's the
[47:21] Speaker 1: point of doing it? New York don't be on that.
[47:23] Speaker 1: But what's his name? Bridges?
[47:24] Speaker 4: Not Bridges.
[47:25] Speaker 1: Miles Bridges. The young one. The youngest of them. McBride? McBride.
[47:30] Speaker 1: You got to get his shit off.
[47:31] Speaker 2: He ain't got pay like Clarkson and fucking Bridges.
[47:35] Speaker 1: But guess what his role is, though? His role is
[47:36] Speaker 1: Davion Mitchell. Yeah.
[47:41] Speaker 6: He in there to hoop. He in there to defend,
[47:44] Speaker 6: to turn the volume up. Now, if he gets going,
[47:48] Speaker 6: we love it. Because McBride, he can get going. He
[47:53] Speaker 6: kind of like how Gabe Vincent was in Miami, how
[47:57] Speaker 6: Kendrick Nunn was in Miami. He wasn't expecting you to
[48:00] Speaker 6: do this shit, but when you do get it going,
[48:02] Speaker 6: hell yeah, good job.
[48:04] Speaker 1: But if you off, nigga, sit your ass down. But
[48:07] Speaker 1: you do need that.
[48:08] Speaker 2: Consistency is him coming off the bench knowing that's his
[48:11] Speaker 2: role to shoot the ball and score and be like
[48:13] Speaker 2: the main six man.
[48:15] Speaker 6: But look, we got him and Clarkson. So who's more
[48:18] Speaker 6: experienced at doing that?
[48:19] Speaker 1: It is, but they've been bringing in Brian more though.
[48:21] Speaker 1: Because he plays defense, right? Clarkson is just blue wheel.
[48:25] Speaker 6: He's trying to shoot that bitch. But that's if we
[48:28] Speaker 6: need it. I think that's what Mike Brown is realizing.
[48:31] Speaker 6: We need this right now.
[48:32] Speaker 1: Jordan, go in. For sure. We need this right now. Hey, Deuce,
[48:35] Speaker 1: go in here and get him. Be a pest.
[48:38] Speaker 6: I like that kind of camaraderie that he's bringing to
[48:40] Speaker 6: the team. Because before, Thibodeau was just telling motherfuckers, just go, just...
[48:46] Speaker 6: I'm going to work you. I'm going to work you.
[48:49] Speaker 1: Quinn Dickey.
[48:50] Speaker 4: Quinn Dickey.
[48:50] Speaker 5: So looking at these Knicks squad, Knicks have won eight
[48:52] Speaker 5: of their last nine games with a point differential plus 137.
[48:56] Speaker 5: Second in the East as they head to Vegas for
[48:58] Speaker 5: the NBA Cup semifinals. Shot, is this Knicks roster enough
[49:01] Speaker 5: or should they look to add a piece to finally
[49:03] Speaker 5: bring a ring back to the guard? Not make the finals,
[49:05] Speaker 5: but if they want.
[49:06] Speaker 1: To bring a ring....
[49:10] Speaker 6: Like I said in the beginning, when we talk hoop
[49:13] Speaker 6: and we talk about the chemistry and the longevity of
[49:17] Speaker 6: every team catching their stride, the Knicks, what they did
[49:22] Speaker 6: last year, how they put that shit together, even though
[49:25] Speaker 6: they were– did OG get hurt in the end?
[49:28] Speaker 1: What was our discrepancy? I think that was it. OG
[49:31] Speaker 1: went down.
[49:32] Speaker 6: So you look at how that all happened, and we
[49:36] Speaker 6: had a coach that didn't understand playing the full roster.
[49:41] Speaker 1: Those things change. We beat Indiana. We beat Indiana. But
[49:47] Speaker 1: it's coaching, too, in the playoffs. Trey Cat, we beat Indiana.
[49:53] Speaker 6: And if we beat Indiana, do you think that there
[49:55] Speaker 6: would be a better series between OKC?
[49:57] Speaker 2: I don't think y'all beat Boston if they had a
[50:00] Speaker 2: different coach. I don't think you'd beat Boston if you
[50:03] Speaker 2: had a different coach.
[50:03] Speaker 1: Better series than the seven-game series, Rashad? They would have
[50:06] Speaker 1: swept the Knicks. They would have swept the Knicks. Because
[50:09] Speaker 1: who got hurt in that series? OG got hurt. They
[50:11] Speaker 1: would have swept the Knicks, y'all.
[50:12] Speaker 4: Halliburton got hurt.
[50:13] Speaker 1: Cat would have went to... Come on, man.
[50:16] Speaker 2: Remember, y'all was down there 20 points every game in Boston.
[50:20] Speaker 1: Remember why.
[50:20] Speaker 6: If you had a different coach that'd tell you not
[50:22] Speaker 6: to shoot as many... No, that wasn't the reason why.
[50:24] Speaker 6: Them niggas was gassed out. They shot threes over and over.
[50:27] Speaker 4: They was gassed out.
[50:29] Speaker 6: You don't remember Mikael Bridges before the series was like, bro,
[50:31] Speaker 6: can we get some rest?
[50:33] Speaker 1: Nah. about Boston and New York. Me too.
[50:36] Speaker 6: I'm talking about, yes, that series, they were tired. They
[50:40] Speaker 6: were tired and they still got over the hump. So
[50:43] Speaker 6: this year, it is.
[50:46] Speaker 1: But what does Mike do? What you said? What does
[50:49] Speaker 1: Mike do differently? He connects with the players and try
[50:53] Speaker 1: to figure out what they feel and how your body,
[50:55] Speaker 1: all that shit.
[50:56] Speaker 6: So if he can give you that going into the playoffs,
[50:59] Speaker 6: it's a whole different game plan, bro. It's all coaching
[51:02] Speaker 6: styles when it comes down to that shit.
[51:03] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[51:06] Speaker 5: Mr. B, you think this Knicks roster is enough, or
[51:11] Speaker 5: should they try to bring?
[51:12] Speaker 1: To get to the finals. Yeah, they have enough to
[51:13] Speaker 1: get to the finals. We didn't know.
[51:16] Speaker 5: So, to follow through with that, who's the most expendable
[51:18] Speaker 5: core piece if the Knicks didn't want to try to
[51:20] Speaker 5: add another star?
[51:21] Speaker 1: You know who it is. We just talked about it.
[51:24] Speaker 1: I mean, that's what you need, you know? All that
[51:29] Speaker 1: shit sounds good.
[51:30] Speaker 3: All that shit, that's... All that shit we started telling her,
[51:34] Speaker 3: that sounds good.
[51:34] Speaker 1: I thought it was a three.
[51:35] Speaker 3: That sounds like some college-level type shit. But what we're
[51:37] Speaker 3: talking about right here, you got to... You always want
[51:40] Speaker 3: to trade me. Why am I always getting traded? We ain't...
[51:45] Speaker 3: That's trading me.
[51:47] Speaker 1: Leave me out of it. That's cute. Keep trading him, bro.
[51:52] Speaker 1: Leave me alone. Leave me alone. Keep throwing me into
[51:56] Speaker 1: this shit, man. I ain't do nothing to none of y'all.
[52:03] Speaker 1: For real, though. Productive day here. Of course. This arena,
[52:09] Speaker 1: no Gil. Gil's arena. Hopefully Gil's watching. Wherever he is, Gil.
[52:15] Speaker 1: I hope he is. I'm going to be town all
[52:19] Speaker 1: day today. We would. What do you mean?
[52:23] Speaker 5: We have a lot of beef in the streets right now.
[52:25] Speaker 5: We don't need to add anything. It's very hard out here.
[52:30] Speaker 5: But let's keep this thing moving. Watch your back, love.
[52:32] Speaker 5: You got my back, I got yours. It's a lot of...
[52:37] Speaker 5: He comes from a lot of different places. But today's

[53:19] Speaker 5: for holding us down. So you guys wanted to talk
[53:21] Speaker 5: Jalen Brown. We had a little teaser, but now let's
[53:24] Speaker 5: really get into it. We had an appetizer, let's get
[53:26] Speaker 5: into the main course. Jalen Brown has been holding down
[53:28] Speaker 5: the fort for the Celtics with Jason Tatum's sideline while
[53:31] Speaker 5: recovering from his Achilles injury. Brown has put up 30
[53:34] Speaker 5: or more in six of his last seven games, including
[53:37] Speaker 5: 240 pieces, and is averaging 33 points, seven rebounds, seven
[53:41] Speaker 5: assists in that span, shooting 49% from the field, 40%
[53:44] Speaker 5: from deep. So his 13 30-point games this season are
[53:47] Speaker 5: the most or more than he had all of last season,
[53:50] Speaker 5: including the playoffs, had 10 total last season, including playoffs,
[53:53] Speaker 5: 13 so far to start this season. Boston has won
[53:55] Speaker 5: five straight games, 10 of their last 12, while beating
[53:58] Speaker 5: four of the top six teams in the East and
[54:00] Speaker 5: the second best team in the West in the Lakers,
[54:03] Speaker 5: who did not have Luke or LeBron, but it did
[54:05] Speaker 5: not matter. And for the season, Browns averaging career highs
[54:08] Speaker 5: with 29.1 points, 4.9 assists, along with 6.2 rebounds, missing
[54:13] Speaker 5: just one of the Celtics' 24 games so far. Boston
[54:16] Speaker 5: currently 15-9, holding down the third spot in the East.
[54:20] Speaker 1: Mr. B, we'll start with you. I know you've received
[54:22] Speaker 1: a lot of flack in years past. Yeah. for your
[54:25] Speaker 1: opinions about Jalen Brown.
[54:26] Speaker 5: How impressive has Jalen Brown been as the Celtics' number
[54:29] Speaker 5: one option this season?
[54:32] Speaker 1: I mean, it's been very impressive.
[54:34] Speaker 3: The fact that they started off looking like it was.
[54:37] Speaker 1: Going to be really bad for them.
[54:41] Speaker 3: But, you know, I think when everybody was clowning his
[54:44] Speaker 3: hairstyle and then, you know, he just locked in and
[54:46] Speaker 3: then started going crazy.
[54:48] Speaker 1: But he has a lot of experience, man. I mean,
[54:50] Speaker 1: you know.
[54:52] Speaker 3: A lot of people wanted to say he didn't deserve
[54:54] Speaker 3: the finals MVP and everything because of Jason Tatum, but
[54:57] Speaker 3: obviously Jason Tatum is down, and his team is not
[55:00] Speaker 3: really that good, and he's having actually a career year.
[55:03] Speaker 3: So that says a lot about him for a guy
[55:05] Speaker 3: that they say can't go left, but he plays both
[55:08] Speaker 3: sides of the floor. So, I mean, I'm just trying
[55:11] Speaker 3: to figure out, you know, where was I wrong when
[55:14] Speaker 3: I was talking that shit about him.
[55:15] Speaker 1: Well, what?
[55:18] Speaker 3: Being the number one option in that other guy that
[55:21] Speaker 3: you like, Jason Tatum, that he can move around.
[55:24] Speaker 1: Because that's what it's looking like. What? I'm just saying,
[55:28] Speaker 1: when you get a chance.
[55:30] Speaker 3: Hold on, what we always say on here, when you
[55:33] Speaker 3: get a chance to be the number one option, and
[55:35] Speaker 3: you see that thing go in, and from the looks
[55:37] Speaker 3: of it.
[55:37] Speaker 1: Hold on, let me go on my phone, because....
[55:40] Speaker 3: I mean, the shit that he was doing against these
[55:42] Speaker 3: top five teams. I mean, he saw Apollo, you know, 30-something.
[55:47] Speaker 3: He saw K, 40-something. He saw your boy Anthony Edwards, 40-something.
[55:53] Speaker 3: Then he went to go down there in Cleveland and
[55:55] Speaker 3: triple-double on all number one options.
[55:57] Speaker 1: They said that this guy could never be a number
[56:00] Speaker 1: one option. And then he, for five straight games, then
[56:03] Speaker 1: went to L.A., 30-8-8.
[56:05] Speaker 3: So I'm just trying to figure out where the fuck
[56:07] Speaker 3: was I wrong when I was talking about Jalen Brown.
[56:09] Speaker 1: So I have a question. Oh, yeah. I have a question.
[56:11] Speaker 1: If the number one guy goes out, Where does the
[56:15] Speaker 1: number one guy go? He was never the number one
[56:19] Speaker 1: guy is what I'm trying to say. No, no, no.
[56:21] Speaker 3: What I'm trying to say is the number one guy
[56:23] Speaker 3: that y'all was hyping was never the number one guy.
[56:25] Speaker 3: This is what I'm trying to tell y'all right now.
[56:27] Speaker 4: So let me ask you this, Brandon.
[56:29] Speaker 1: We're third in the East. So let me ask you
[56:33] Speaker 1: a question, right? If an individual player leads his team
[56:39] Speaker 1: in every category that there is to be counted for, right?
[56:44] Speaker 1: Is he not the number one? Is he not the
[56:45] Speaker 1: best but a number one option on the team? No,
[56:47] Speaker 1: because what were you doing on that other end? Who
[56:48] Speaker 1: were you guarding on that other end? I didn't actually know.
[56:50] Speaker 1: He does that too. No, but that's part of the game.
[56:52] Speaker 4: That's part of the game.
[56:53] Speaker 1: That's part of the game, right? That's part of the game.
[56:55] Speaker 1: That's part of the game. So I'm going to go
[56:59] Speaker 1: do what I do and also guard the best player.
[57:02] Speaker 1: So you still.
[57:02] Speaker 4: Didn't answer my question.
[57:03] Speaker 1: What? You didn't answer my question. Who cares about numbers?
[57:08] Speaker 1: We're talking about what you do. In every category? What category?
[57:12] Speaker 1: So is Nikola not the best player on his team?
[57:13] Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. Is Nikola not the
[57:17] Speaker 1: best player on his team? Okay, let's do this. Can
[57:20] Speaker 1: you answer my question before you ask me one? Can
[57:25] Speaker 1: you answer my question first? And then I would gladly
[57:28] Speaker 1: answer yours. Okay, brother. Knowledge is back, baby. I would
[57:31] Speaker 1: gladly answer yours. I'm just trying to... So... Obviously, it
[57:34] Speaker 1: wasn't enough. In history, right, guys has led their team
[57:37] Speaker 1: in every category. Was Kevin Garnett, when he was on
[57:39] Speaker 1: the Minnesota Timberwolves, was he the number one option? Knowledge
[57:42] Speaker 1: is coming. Minnesota Timberwolves? Of course. Was he the number
[57:44] Speaker 1: one option on that team? Because he led the team
[57:46] Speaker 1: in every category, right? Yeah. Right? Okay. Nicola leads his
[57:49] Speaker 1: team in damn every category. Is he not the best
[57:51] Speaker 1: player on that team? Jason Tatum made his team in
[57:54] Speaker 1: every category. He's not the best player on their team.
[57:55] Speaker 1: But what do you always say? They got to play
[57:56] Speaker 1: both sides, right? Right, right, right. Are you a guy
[58:00] Speaker 1: about both sides? Are you a guy about both sides, Doug?
[58:03] Speaker 1: I am, and I can recognize who's the best player
[58:05] Speaker 1: on the team. And I can recognize who's the best
[58:08] Speaker 1: player on the team.
[58:09] Speaker 3: Because if they get, if y'all go to.
[58:11] Speaker 1: The finals and J. Kidd is leading, everything is scoring,
[58:13] Speaker 1: but you guard and sack and lock and sack down,
[58:15] Speaker 1: who's the best player on the team? That didn't happen.
[58:18] Speaker 1: But if it does happen, because that's what happened within
[58:20] Speaker 1: this situation. It did not.
[58:21] Speaker 3: He's leading everything, but I'm locking down the best player
[58:24] Speaker 3: on this team. So if you're locking down Shaq and
[58:26] Speaker 3: y'all win, but Jason Kidd is doing, and they give
[58:28] Speaker 3: you finals MVP, they wrong.
[58:30] Speaker 4: Locking him down.
[58:30] Speaker 1: Because you're locking down the best player. The average is 39.
[58:33] Speaker 1: Who are you locking down? If you're locking, and y'all win. Who? Who? No,
[58:37] Speaker 1: he's talking about Luka. He's talking about when they beat that.
[58:43] Speaker 1: And he locked them down. You let the team in.
[58:46] Speaker 1: If they kid is leading the team and all that.
[58:48] Speaker 3: And you're doing this, and they give you finals MVP
[58:52] Speaker 3: because of what you did defensively and what your numbers are,
[58:54] Speaker 3: you're not saying nothing.
[58:56] Speaker 4: Not when the guy, listen, we're talking about a real situation.
[58:58] Speaker 1: He probably is. All these situations. You're saying number one?
[59:02] Speaker 1: Are you fighting for number one option? Let's go back
[59:04] Speaker 1: to my initial question. Let's go back to my initial
[59:07] Speaker 1: question then. If the number one guy goes down and
[59:12] Speaker 1: there is a second option on the team, where does
[59:15] Speaker 1: the second option go? Does he go to three? To
[59:19] Speaker 1: number one.
[59:20] Speaker 3: But I always felt like he was number one. You
[59:22] Speaker 3: guys said he was number one. He wasn't number one.
[59:24] Speaker 1: Okay. Well, to me, I mean, he has the hardwood
[59:27] Speaker 1: to prove it. No, no. Where's the hardwood in your...
[59:29] Speaker 1: Where's the hardwood when you're doing your Zooms, Jason Tatum?
[59:32] Speaker 1: Where is it? I don't see that trophy. I don't
[59:34] Speaker 1: see none of that shit. Where is it at? So, man,
[59:38] Speaker 1: what are we talking about? When he... When Jalen Brown
[59:42] Speaker 1: is doing... Oh, no. When Jalen Brown is doing his...
[59:45] Speaker 1: When Jalen Brown is doing his Zoom call.
[59:48] Speaker 4: I'm just saying, when Jalen Brown got his.
[59:50] Speaker 1: They ain't back there. Okay. So who was the number
[59:54] Speaker 1: one guy? And guess what? And guess what? Who wasn't
[59:58] Speaker 1: on any teams? First team, second team, third team.
[1:00:02] Speaker 4: But watch this. So Brandon.
[1:00:04] Speaker 1: So that trophy that you just spoke of that said
[1:00:07] Speaker 1: Jalen Brown's establishment, right? Both of them. The one that
[1:00:09] Speaker 1: said at his establishment, MVP trophy, right? The finals MVP trophy, right? Yes.
[1:00:14] Speaker 1: Does he have that trophy without the other guy? No,
[1:00:17] Speaker 1: does Michael Jordan have all that? No, that ain't what
[1:00:22] Speaker 1: I asked you. Does anybody? Does anybody? That ain't what
[1:00:26] Speaker 1: I asked you. You was the number one guy. That
[1:00:27] Speaker 1: ain't what I asked you. Answer my question. No. Does
[1:00:31] Speaker 1: he have that MVP trophy at home without that other guy? No.
[1:00:35] Speaker 1: I'm leading the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, free-throw attempts,
[1:00:39] Speaker 1: free-throw makes, fucking minutes played. Dude, does he have that
[1:00:44] Speaker 1: trophy at home without that guy doing all of those things? No, no,
[1:00:47] Speaker 1: no kidding. All right, thank you. Eagle Dollar said that
[1:00:49] Speaker 1: to himself. No, he doesn't.
[1:00:51] Speaker 4: Eagle Dollar said that to himself for five or six years.
[1:00:53] Speaker 1: No, he doesn't. Yeah, Jalen Brown, MVP, finals MVP. I'm
[1:00:57] Speaker 1: just saying, the boy doing his thing. Yes, he is.
[1:00:59] Speaker 1: He's supposed to. He's supposed to.
[1:01:01] Speaker 3: Because they said he could get, I wish Gil was here.
[1:01:03] Speaker 3: Because God damn it, Gil said he couldn't go left
[1:01:05] Speaker 3: and it doesn't look like he.
[1:01:06] Speaker 1: Needed a left hand. Wait, wait, what are we arguing?
[1:01:08] Speaker 4: Still can't go left.
[1:01:09] Speaker 1: What are we arguing?
[1:01:10] Speaker 2: His stat's supposed to go up. When your number one
[1:01:13] Speaker 2: option is not there, when Luka's not there.
[1:01:15] Speaker 1: AR fucking average 40. So AR better than Luka? My
[1:01:20] Speaker 1: argument is that he was always.
[1:01:22] Speaker 3: My argument was that he was always... My argument was
[1:01:25] Speaker 3: that he was always the number one option because he played.
[1:01:27] Speaker 1: Both sides of the floor. Hey, Nick. Is AR better
[1:01:30] Speaker 1: than Luka? Is he? Is he better than Luka? Man, stop.
[1:01:39] Speaker 1: I'm asking you a question. Hey, hey. People are watching, Swaggy.
[1:01:43] Speaker 1: People are watching. What has A.R. been doing without you
[1:01:46] Speaker 1: out there? What has he been doing without that boy
[1:01:49] Speaker 1: out there? He don't have the heart to resume. This
[1:01:52] Speaker 1: is a valid conversation. A.R. been putting up 40 pieces.
[1:01:56] Speaker 1: This is what he's saying. He's saying, listen, you can
[1:02:01] Speaker 1: say Tatum's better, but I can say Brown's better. But
[1:02:06] Speaker 1: why could you say Brown's better than Tatum? I would never.
[1:02:09] Speaker 1: I don't want to.
[1:02:10] Speaker 6: I said, why could you? Why could you say it?
[1:02:12] Speaker 6: It's because he plays both sides.
[1:02:14] Speaker 1: But Tatum does, too, though. Tatum doesn't guard the best player.
[1:02:19] Speaker 1: You know why? Kobe does. Kobe does.
[1:02:22] Speaker 3: When it came down to it, Kobe.
[1:02:23] Speaker 1: Guarded the best player. Oh, so now we're comparing him
[1:02:25] Speaker 1: to Kobe. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Hey, it
[1:02:27] Speaker 1: looked like it.
[1:02:28] Speaker 3: I mean, the boy started his own brand of derby.
[1:02:30] Speaker 1: I mean, you know. Mr. B, was that a comparison
[1:02:32] Speaker 1: or were you just trying to use an example? I'm
[1:02:34] Speaker 1: just saying, man. I'm just saying, we got a defender.
[1:02:36] Speaker 1: We got a guy right here that plays both sides
[1:02:38] Speaker 1: of the floor. Jason Salem does everything. He's 6'9, 6'10,
[1:02:41] Speaker 1: plays defense. Come on, man. man.
[1:02:44] Speaker 3: So y'all going to get... Okay, so now we're going
[1:02:46] Speaker 3: against a guy that played both sides. I don't want
[1:02:47] Speaker 3: to hear shit out there about the both sides.
[1:02:49] Speaker 2: The narrative's never been Jason Tatum don't play defense.
[1:02:52] Speaker 1: I never heard that. He plays both sides as well.
[1:02:54] Speaker 1: I never heard Jason Tatum doesn't play defense.
[1:02:56] Speaker 3: And I've never heard Jason Tatum be like, yo, I
[1:02:58] Speaker 3: got that motherfucker tonight.
[1:03:00] Speaker 1: I ain't never heard Brown do that. Shit. I got
[1:03:06] Speaker 1: him tonight. I got, I got Luca in the finals.
[1:03:14] Speaker 1: This was the conversation. I got him.
[1:03:16] Speaker 6: Jalen Brown said beginning of the year, last year, when before, no,
[1:03:20] Speaker 6: before they won the championship, that his whole thing was,
[1:03:23] Speaker 6: I want to be all defense. I'm going to guard
[1:03:26] Speaker 6: the best player every single game. I want to prove
[1:03:30] Speaker 6: myself as a defender.
[1:03:31] Speaker 1: That'll make you number one. Listen, that's not my point.
[1:03:34] Speaker 1: That's not my point. That's not my point.
[1:03:36] Speaker 6: My point is, my point is, he went out and
[1:03:39] Speaker 6: proved that by winning the championship with him guarding.
[1:03:44] Speaker 1: The best player. That'll make you number one. That's not
[1:03:46] Speaker 1: what my point is. Okay.
[1:03:48] Speaker 6: My point is he proved that he can play defense.
[1:03:50] Speaker 6: He proved that he can not only play defense, but
[1:03:53] Speaker 6: take over the fucking game.
[1:03:55] Speaker 1: He proved he can play defense. Both sides of the ball. No, no, no.
[1:03:57] Speaker 3: Because at the end of the day, I got finals
[1:03:59] Speaker 3: MVP of the East, and I got finals MVP of
[1:04:01] Speaker 3: the finals.
[1:04:02] Speaker 1: Look at my hardware and my Zoom. That's good.
[1:04:03] Speaker 3: When I'm Zooming with the lights and everybody back there.
[1:04:05] Speaker 1: Don't think about moments. You don't have that. You got
[1:04:07] Speaker 1: the choice. You got Harry. Look, you don't have this hardware.
[1:04:11] Speaker 1: Who's saying that? Eagle Dallas said that to Steph Curry
[1:04:14] Speaker 1: before he won one. And then he had to go
[1:04:16] Speaker 1: get it. Three more times. Didn't have to go get it. Look,
[1:04:19] Speaker 1: that pissed him off because he's like, you know what,
[1:04:22] Speaker 1: you're right. I don't got that back here. He couldn't
[1:04:26] Speaker 1: even do the Zooms no more until he got it.
[1:04:28] Speaker 4: He was like, you know what, I can't do no
[1:04:30] Speaker 4: more Zooms until he got it.
[1:04:31] Speaker 1: Three.
[1:04:32] Speaker 4: He has to go.
[1:04:32] Speaker 1: He has to go. That's what I'm saying. Because I
[1:04:35] Speaker 1: got one before you. But that doesn't make him better
[1:04:37] Speaker 1: than Steph. No, it doesn't. But it just gives him hardware.
[1:04:41] Speaker 1: So why are we saying this makes him better than Tatum?
[1:04:43] Speaker 3: Because we've seen what he does without Tatum.
[1:04:47] Speaker 1: We ain't never seen what Equal Dollar did.
[1:04:49] Speaker 2: Because we've seen what he did with Jalen Brown in
[1:04:51] Speaker 2: the game. The same stats he got.
[1:04:54] Speaker 3: We have never seen what Equal Dollar did without Steph
[1:04:56] Speaker 3: and him. Now put Equal Dollar and have Steph.
[1:04:58] Speaker 1: And him go sit down and let's go see what
[1:05:00] Speaker 1: that shit does. He was an all-star in Philly. Zaylon Brown?
[1:05:03] Speaker 3: Hey, man, Jason Taylor, the guy with the Jordan shit
[1:05:05] Speaker 3: and everything that y'all want to hype.
[1:05:07] Speaker 1: Up the poster tile. Man, listen, watch out. This is
[1:05:09] Speaker 1: my shit.
[1:05:09] Speaker 2: There's a reason why you hype me up. I'm number
[1:05:12] Speaker 2: one when I average 29 in the East. I'm number
[1:05:14] Speaker 2: one when I average 29 in the East. Yeah, but
[1:05:17] Speaker 2: you ain't taking any of that hardware when it's time.
[1:05:19] Speaker 1: Four straight All-NBA first team selections. Hey, you robbing when
[1:05:22] Speaker 1: it's time to do this. Yeah, you robbing. Hey, Brandon. Hey,
[1:05:25] Speaker 1: Josiah got a stat for you. Okay, my bad. Go ahead.
[1:05:28] Speaker 4: Josiah got a stat for you.
[1:05:29] Speaker 1: Four straight first team All-NBA selections.
[1:05:31] Speaker 4: Who's that you speak of?
[1:05:32] Speaker 1: Jason Tatum. Jason Tatum. Four straight.
[1:05:34] Speaker 4: First team.
[1:05:36] Speaker 1: Where them trophies at in the Zoom? That's shit. What
[1:05:38] Speaker 1: is it?
[1:05:38] Speaker 4: The plaque.
[1:05:39] Speaker 1: I think you get a plaque. You get a plaque.
[1:05:41] Speaker 3: Okay, well, when he do his next Zoom, when he
[1:05:43] Speaker 3: do his next Zoom, Brown don't even know what it is.
[1:05:45] Speaker 1: He don't need to know.
[1:05:45] Speaker 3: He don't know what the fuck Brown got. Oh, hey, listen,
[1:05:48] Speaker 3: the next Zoom, Jason Tatum and Brown do, show your hardware.
[1:05:51] Speaker 1: Yeah. Do we think that they Zoom each other? Watch
[1:05:52] Speaker 1: how beautiful that shit look behind Jason Tatum. Sure. Got
[1:05:55] Speaker 1: it done. Got it done. Got it done. I ain't
[1:05:58] Speaker 1: going to argue.
[1:05:59] Speaker 3: All he doing is posting that gold medal back there
[1:06:01] Speaker 3: that he didn't play in.
[1:06:02] Speaker 1: Cool. That's cool. He got it. Damn.
[1:06:05] Speaker 4: For first team. He got invited.
[1:06:07] Speaker 1: Where's the plaque? At least he got invited.
[1:06:08] Speaker 4: At least I got invited.
[1:06:09] Speaker 1: That's what they think about you. That's what they think
[1:06:14] Speaker 1: about you. That's low blow. Y'all doing low blows. Let's go.
[1:06:17] Speaker 1: Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. You're going
[1:06:28] Speaker 1: too fucking far. You're going too fucking far, man. Let
[1:06:32] Speaker 1: it go. All bigs, you're going too far. That's how
[1:06:35] Speaker 1: you feel? Damn. Let him go.
[1:06:53] Speaker 4: Let him go.
[1:06:54] Speaker 1: Yeah, let him go. We both go to battle. It's
[1:06:56] Speaker 1: a rap battle. It's a rap battle. You got to
[1:06:58] Speaker 1: have your bars ready. It's a rap battle. That's going
[1:07:02] Speaker 1: to stop the whole battle. Goddamn, my nigga. You going
[1:07:04] Speaker 1: to talk about my mama too? Shit. Leave my mama.
[1:07:09] Speaker 1: I didn't get invited. That's cool. That's cool. Hey, guess what?
[1:07:16] Speaker 1: Guess what? They took Derek White over you. See? See? See?
[1:07:20] Speaker 3: See?
[1:07:21] Speaker 1: See? See? See? See? See? It was three of them.
[1:07:25] Speaker 1: We had rules for this shit. I came in here hot.
[1:07:27] Speaker 1: I thought they wasn't going to get me. I came
[1:07:30] Speaker 1: in here. I thought y'all wasn't going to say that shit.
[1:07:32] Speaker 1: We had rules. I said, I had them. I said,
[1:07:35] Speaker 1: I got these boys. You was on the road, but
[1:07:36] Speaker 1: you bought the Olympics, you know, so I got it. Man. Hey,
[1:07:40] Speaker 1: you teed that bitch up. And I ain't judged that mom.
[1:07:44] Speaker 1: Hold on. Hold on. At least he was here, nigga.
[1:07:48] Speaker 1: I was in line for my medal. All right. All right.
[1:07:51] Speaker 1: Y'all got it. Y'all got it. I'll give you that.
[1:07:53] Speaker 1: Two gold medals. One, two, skip two. Yo, that's fucking hilarious.
[1:07:57] Speaker 1: Two gold medals. Drew Holiday also two gold medals. One
[1:08:01] Speaker 1: as a member of the team. Yeah, all right. You know,
[1:08:04] Speaker 1: he started his own brand. They took the fourth option
[1:08:08] Speaker 1: over you. They took three players from the team. Your
[1:08:11] Speaker 1: second option right now went over you. How much do
[1:08:15] Speaker 1: you average? How much do you average right now? 15, 16.
[1:08:18] Speaker 1: I bet you'd be at the All-Star game. I bet
[1:08:20] Speaker 1: you'd be at the All-Star game. You know make those okay. Oh,
[1:08:24] Speaker 1: they're right. Yeah.
[1:08:25] Speaker 4: Oh Jalen Brown.
[1:08:26] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yes. I'm talking about there Man check that nigga
[1:08:29] Speaker 1: cut As you do underdog pick'em do you have to
[1:08:30] Speaker 1: start to know the players that you can actually believe
[1:08:33] Speaker 1: in to execute and those that will be trapped.
[1:08:51] Speaker 2: Y'all made me believe in him like the world forced
[1:08:53] Speaker 2: him on us.
[1:08:54] Speaker 1: Because you were saying the nigga was nice and everything.
[1:08:56] Speaker 1: I'm like, what are you talking about? What? You got
[1:08:59] Speaker 1: to defend him. our corner.
[1:09:00] Speaker 4: I'm just saying. You was like, man, you was giving
[1:09:03] Speaker 4: him the ball and he tricked me.
[1:09:04] Speaker 1: That's what he was saying. I never said you could
[1:09:05] Speaker 1: give it to him, he could do all that. You
[1:09:07] Speaker 1: was like, yeah, he's nice, bro. I was like, dude, what?
[1:09:10] Speaker 1: You crazy as hell. With the hair? It's easy to
[1:09:12] Speaker 1: beat up when you got motherfucking Tatum, Brown, Porzingis, Holiday.
[1:09:17] Speaker 1: That's what I was saying. I was saying it was
[1:09:20] Speaker 1: fool's gold. I was saying it was fool's gold.
[1:09:22] Speaker 4: I'm like, look, he getting them points because of them.
[1:09:25] Speaker 1: And then next year comes, we going to see the
[1:09:28] Speaker 1: real white dude in him. That nigga work at FedEx
[1:09:33] Speaker 1: for real, man.
[1:09:34] Speaker 4: You go up to the FedEx.
[1:09:36] Speaker 1: Let me get this. I'm sending this here.
[1:09:38] Speaker 4: No.
[1:09:38] Speaker 1: Man, I didn't check your ID and everything. Everything. He
[1:09:42] Speaker 1: don't leave it. He don't give you no break. No break.
[1:09:44] Speaker 1: You take your ID. You going to throw the box in?
[1:09:47] Speaker 4: You going to throw the box in?
[1:09:48] Speaker 1: Nah, you know my supervisor. He got a juice skid. What?
[1:09:52] Speaker 1: That be telling everybody. You telling everybody. He going to wait. Hey, boss,
[1:09:55] Speaker 1: you're 15 minutes late. You got to take some. I'm out.
[1:09:57] Speaker 1: Boss watching. Yeah. Boss watching. He can't do it. You
[1:09:59] Speaker 1: wait too much. You're going to charge extra. You got
[1:10:01] Speaker 1: to charge extra. Man. Motherfuckers.
[1:10:06] Speaker 5: I think, Sean, Mr. B, you guys were both very
[1:10:08] Speaker 5: high on Jalen Brown. There were some heated, intense debates
[1:10:12] Speaker 5: here in Gills Arena presented by Underdog.
[1:10:13] Speaker 1: During the 2024 NBA Finals. Just saying, man. Give the
[1:10:18] Speaker 1: man his respect. That's all. That's all. You know what
[1:10:20] Speaker 1: I'm saying? Doing his thing.
[1:10:22] Speaker 3: That's all. You know, they clowned his hair. He left
[1:10:25] Speaker 3: his mark. He's still leaving his mark. Like, you know,
[1:10:28] Speaker 3: it's what he do. Got his own shoe.
[1:10:29] Speaker 1: Yo, I have a question. Why would dude, like, they
[1:10:32] Speaker 1: act like you put that shit on, though. You got
[1:10:34] Speaker 1: to go wash it out. Like, you got to get
[1:10:38] Speaker 1: in the shower, dog. It's a product. It's a kill. So, yeah,
[1:10:43] Speaker 1: your man don't take baths. So, another thing, your man
[1:10:45] Speaker 1: don't take baths, bro. Get in there and don't wash
[1:10:48] Speaker 1: his part of his body, though. Don't wash his part
[1:10:50] Speaker 1: of his body. So, that means he put his clothes on, right,
[1:10:53] Speaker 1: before the game. He take them off nicely, right? Put
[1:10:56] Speaker 1: the do-rag on. Put the do-rag on. Put the do-rag on, probably. Yeah.
[1:11:01] Speaker 1: I hope we button up. It's the whole process. Okay, okay.
[1:11:03] Speaker 1: I'm about to say.
[1:11:04] Speaker 4: When you're losing your hair, it's the whole process.
[1:11:07] Speaker 1: I'm like, the whole tale to, like, not get hit to, like,
[1:11:09] Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying? It's like, it's a lot
[1:11:10] Speaker 1: going on. If you don't rub it, it'll stay. Yeah,
[1:11:13] Speaker 1: it'll stay. But you got to try not to have contact.
[1:11:16] Speaker 1: Y'all need to leave him alone, man. Y'all know nothing
[1:11:18] Speaker 1: about it. My roof. My roof. My roof. My roof.
[1:11:21] Speaker 1: My roof. My roof. My roof.
[1:11:23] Speaker 4: See, you wasn't even supposed to.
[1:11:26] Speaker 1: I got to live here. Nigga, let me put this
[1:11:29] Speaker 1: shit in my head and y'all leave me alone. It's
[1:11:31] Speaker 1: the Boston Barbershop.
[1:11:33] Speaker 3: But y'all don't be on Instagram seeing all the guys
[1:11:34] Speaker 3: go to Turkey and get their shit done?
[1:11:36] Speaker 1: Like, you know, you can do that. You know, they be.
[1:11:38] Speaker 4: Is there nowhere closer than Turkey?
[1:11:39] Speaker 1: You go to Turkey, it's a whole... It's a whole

[1:12:04] Speaker 1: Look at that. Just look like a bunch of spiders.

[1:12:40] Speaker 1: about it. I don't know if they... It's the same flight.
[1:12:43] Speaker 1: They be having them all on the same flight. They
[1:12:45] Speaker 1: gonna have you, bro. Turkish Airlines. Take that motherfucker off!
[1:12:49] Speaker 4: Take that motherfucker off!

[1:12:59] Speaker 1: They got the sitting donuts. You know where they been.
[1:13:01] Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie. I can't go forward, bro. I
[1:13:04] Speaker 1: gotta go.
[1:13:05] Speaker 3: Y'all better stop talking about the women getting their bodies
[1:13:08] Speaker 3: done because they be seeing y'all in Turkey.
[1:13:09] Speaker 1: I'll be over there looking crazy in Turkey.
[1:13:12] Speaker 4: I don't let y'all know.
[1:13:14] Speaker 1: Take that shit off. I don't let y'all know. If
[1:13:17] Speaker 1: I ever go bald, I'm going turkey. Just go home, dog.
[1:13:20] Speaker 1: Women prefer the other way. Can you imagine me? Just
[1:13:22] Speaker 1: go home.
[1:13:22] Speaker 4: Women prefer the other way, trust me.
[1:13:25] Speaker 1: I have tattoos all over my head. Go ahead and
[1:13:27] Speaker 1: do that. I prefer you to do that. I've never
[1:13:29] Speaker 1: had a bald head. That's bald?
[1:13:32] Speaker 4: Get that nice little face. Get that nice little face.
[1:13:35] Speaker 1: Get that. Hey, this diabolical nigga lining.
[1:13:42] Speaker 4: Up your scalp, that's diabolical. Go to the barbershop.
[1:13:46] Speaker 1: Go ahead and line my line up, bro. It's already there.
[1:13:52] Speaker 1: It's already there. You got to do a lot. I'm
[1:13:54] Speaker 1: going to say that if I ever.
[1:13:55] Speaker 4: So down south, we got shags and dials.
[1:13:57] Speaker 1: You'll be over drenched. Bold to a shag. Bold shag.
[1:14:00] Speaker 1: Bold shag. With the fade? Fade and all.
[1:14:04] Speaker 4: He got nothing up here, but he got a little bit.
[1:14:06] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that shit is. That's
[1:14:07] Speaker 1: like the little rat tail shit. Hey, they be fading
[1:14:09] Speaker 1: that shit. They be fading that shit right here. Niggas
[1:14:11] Speaker 1: is crazy. But trust me, women prefer you to go
[1:14:14] Speaker 1: ahead and cut that shit off. Yep.
[1:14:15] Speaker 4: I've had plenty of conversations in the hat.
[1:14:17] Speaker 1: Listen. Would you prefer me walking around with my roof
[1:14:20] Speaker 1: wide open? Or this shit is wide? Lucky niggas like this, though. Look,
[1:14:24] Speaker 1: he got all this hair still. No, look, look. Michael Ball.
[1:14:27] Speaker 1: We would prefer just cut it off. You didn't cut
[1:14:29] Speaker 1: my shit bald. You did.
[1:14:30] Speaker 4: Michael Ball tell my girl, Michael Jordan.
[1:14:33] Speaker 1: I know that. Fake Jackie King, you know that. But
[1:14:36] Speaker 1: y'all know my idea, though, right? Tupac. All the people
[1:14:40] Speaker 1: that was dominant, that was really good, was bald. Bald head, yeah.
[1:14:44] Speaker 1: Even in rap. Everybody. When I had that bald head
[1:14:46] Speaker 1: with my shit, people were like, ooh, Tupac. That's how
[1:14:49] Speaker 1: she's dancing on you? I was like, yeah, baby. She
[1:14:52] Speaker 1: rubs your head and says, Tupac. Yeah, for sure. For sure.
[1:14:56] Speaker 1: You learn something new every day here in Gil's Arena
[1:14:58] Speaker 1: presented by Underdog. All right, thank you, guys. With biggie glasses.
[1:15:02] Speaker 5: All right, well, let's talk about another situation involving Jalen
[1:15:06] Speaker 5: Brown that I'm sure we'll get a good debate discussion on.
[1:15:09] Speaker 5: So Jalen Brown has also been doing work in the
[1:15:11] Speaker 5: streamer game, covering a variety of topics, including his fake hairline,
[1:15:15] Speaker 5: amongst other things. So during a stream recently, He had
[1:15:18] Speaker 5: this to say about flopping taking over the league.
[1:15:21] Speaker 7: This new generation, this new era, the floppers, if you
[1:15:25] Speaker 7: want to be a great player, you got to sell
[1:15:27] Speaker 7: your soul.
[1:15:28] Speaker 1: You got to be a flopper.
[1:15:30] Speaker 7: If you want to be MVP, you want to be
[1:15:33] Speaker 7: top of the top, you got to sell your soul
[1:15:35] Speaker 7: and just be a flopper.
[1:15:36] Speaker 1: Find those MVPs in the back.
[1:15:37] Speaker 7: You know what I mean? Y'all tell me what y'all
[1:15:41] Speaker 7: want me to do. Y'all want me to be on that?
[1:15:45] Speaker 7: I can do it. I can start going to practice
[1:15:47] Speaker 7: and like, Working on, like, working on throwing my head.
[1:15:52] Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Working on, hey! As soon
[1:15:55] Speaker 1: as somebody touches it, hey! All right, wait.
[1:15:58] Speaker 3: Can we go back and just stop it? Y'all see
[1:16:00] Speaker 3: them trophies? Can you just put a screen grab of
[1:16:02] Speaker 3: the video? I'm just telling you the greatness. Like, just
[1:16:04] Speaker 3: look at the greatness.
[1:16:05] Speaker 1: What?
[1:16:07] Speaker 4: Finals.
[1:16:08] Speaker 1: That's a hairline. No, no, no. Back there. You see
[1:16:10] Speaker 1: it in the back. That's all Beijing. Yeah, yeah. You
[1:16:13] Speaker 1: see it all in the back. Look at that. Look
[1:16:16] Speaker 1: at that. That's the hotel. I'm just telling you. The Zoom.
[1:16:18] Speaker 1: Just look at the greatness. Look at the Zoom. Look
[1:16:21] Speaker 1: at the Zoom. I mean, greatness. You have to have
[1:16:23] Speaker 1: hardware on your Zoom, ladies and gentlemen, okay? Just saying.
[1:16:26] Speaker 1: Bump it. Beijing on his golf. A little shine.
[1:16:34] Speaker 5: If you don't mind, can we play what Jalen Brown
[1:16:36] Speaker 5: actually said again?
[1:16:38] Speaker 1: New generation.
[1:16:42] Speaker 7: If you want to be a great player, you got
[1:16:43] Speaker 7: to sell your soul.
[1:16:44] Speaker 1: You got to be a flopper.
[1:16:46] Speaker 7: If you want to be MVP, you want to be
[1:16:49] Speaker 7: top of the top, you got to sell your soul.
[1:16:51] Speaker 1: And just be a flopper. You know what I mean?
[1:16:53] Speaker 1: Y'all tell me.
[1:16:56] Speaker 7: What y'all want me to do? Y'all want me to
[1:17:00] Speaker 7: be on that? I can do it. I can start
[1:17:02] Speaker 7: going to practice and, like, working on, like, like, working
[1:17:07] Speaker 7: on throwing my head.
[1:17:09] Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Working on, hey! As soon
[1:17:12] Speaker 1: as somebody touches it, hey! So this seems like a
[1:17:17] Speaker 1: shot at SGA. And Luka. Luka has not won an MVP.
[1:17:22] Speaker 1: MVP and other things. Don't just put Shane in.
[1:17:28] Speaker 5: Both of those gentlemen get to the free throw line
[1:17:29] Speaker 5: a lot. SGA leads the league with 235 free throw
[1:17:32] Speaker 5: attempts so far this season, but currently second behind Luka
[1:17:36] Speaker 5: with 10.2 attempts per game.
[1:17:39] Speaker 1: You guys hear Jalen Brown saying this.
[1:17:41] Speaker 5: What are your thoughts about Jalen Brown's comments on floppers
[1:17:44] Speaker 5: and selling his soul?
[1:17:46] Speaker 3: It's the NBA's fault. It's a part of the game now.
[1:17:50] Speaker 3: I mean, I think it's the NBA's fault for allowing it.
[1:17:51] Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know about selling a soul. Like,
[1:17:55] Speaker 3: what does that mean? Like, you're selling your soul from
[1:17:56] Speaker 3: not playing the game of basketball, from not understanding, like.
[1:17:59] Speaker 1: How to get to, like, easier shots and get out?
[1:18:02] Speaker 1: Ethical hoopers, as I believe it's referred to. I mean, no,
[1:18:06] Speaker 1: I just think it's, I mean, flopping is an IQ thing.
[1:18:08] Speaker 3: I feel like that's just a thing to where you
[1:18:10] Speaker 3: know the defense is going to foul and you have,
[1:18:12] Speaker 3: you can get the ref to be able to make
[1:18:14] Speaker 3: a call.
[1:18:15] Speaker 1: Do I like flopping? No. I remember playing against Devin Harris.
[1:18:19] Speaker 1: All the time. And every time he came down, he
[1:18:20] Speaker 1: was flying.
[1:18:21] Speaker 3: So, like, you know he's hitting the free throw line,
[1:18:24] Speaker 3: you know, every time. So, yeah, I get it with flying.
[1:18:27] Speaker 3: But just selling your soul, I think, is just part
[1:18:29] Speaker 3: of the game.
[1:18:30] Speaker 1: I would say this. It's the easiest way to get
[1:18:36] Speaker 1: a bucket. It's the easiest way to get to the line.
[1:18:40] Speaker 1: But if we talking hoop, guys like Kyrie Irving, I
[1:18:46] Speaker 1: want that contact. I want the hardest bucket I can get.
[1:18:49] Speaker 6: We go to the advanced expert level of bucket getting.
[1:18:54] Speaker 6: This is why, listen, this is why Kobe Bean Bryant...
[1:18:57] Speaker 6: took the hardest shot. He was the hardest, toughest shot maker.
[1:19:01] Speaker 6: Michael Jordan, tough shot maker. You know how much he
[1:19:04] Speaker 6: was getting hit where he could have flopped and got
[1:19:06] Speaker 6: to the line 20, 30 times a game?
[1:19:08] Speaker 1: I can't let you go there.
[1:19:09] Speaker 6: There are certain guys that can play through contact. This
[1:19:14] Speaker 6: is what happens. But look, Nick, where are you from?
[1:19:17] Speaker 6: You played in the Pac-10? Did you play in the Pac-12?
[1:19:19] Speaker 1: Pac-12? Pac-10. Pac-10. You played in the Pac-10? You played
[1:19:25] Speaker 1: in the Pac-10? All right, Big East. The Conference of Champions.
[1:19:30] Speaker 1: The Conference of Champions. When you are cut from a certain...
[1:19:35] Speaker 1: Kenya had this conversation based on coming out west and
[1:19:40] Speaker 1: they were saying a certain... So, if you're playing this
[1:19:43] Speaker 1: type of way and you used to.
[1:19:45] Speaker 4: That's the easiest way to get a bucket.
[1:19:48] Speaker 1: If we're in 24-hour and you call foul... Every time.
[1:19:53] Speaker 6: Why do I want to score hard? I'm asking a question.
[1:19:57] Speaker 6: If we play a 24-hour fitness and you call in
[1:19:59] Speaker 6: foul every time.
[1:20:00] Speaker 1: I do. And you do. Don't touch me.
[1:20:03] Speaker 6: Do you know why you do? Because you want an
[1:20:06] Speaker 6: easy bucket.
[1:20:06] Speaker 1: I do. You don't know how to get a hard bucket. No,
[1:20:09] Speaker 1: there's no such thing. Yeah, yeah. Who want hard buckets?
[1:20:12] Speaker 1: Everybody who play at the advanced level. That's why you
[1:20:16] Speaker 1: have a book. That's why you got the book of Eli.
[1:20:19] Speaker 1: If Kobe wanted a harder shot, he went pump fake. Counter, counter, counter.
[1:20:22] Speaker 1: He didn't do, he wouldn't do this to get you
[1:20:24] Speaker 1: off your feet. Did you make it hard for Kobe
[1:20:27] Speaker 1: Bean Bryant to get a fucking bucket? So why did
[1:20:29] Speaker 1: he pump fake? Hard. If he wanted it hard, he
[1:20:32] Speaker 1: just tried to shoot over. No, no, he wouldn't. He
[1:20:33] Speaker 1: would get blocked. Thank you. That's a harder shot. No,
[1:20:37] Speaker 1: it's not.
[1:20:38] Speaker 4: The harder shot is the counter, nigga.
[1:20:40] Speaker 1: No, it's not. Yes, it is. Because you know what
[1:20:42] Speaker 1: you're going to do. What's the counter to two dribbles?
[1:20:44] Speaker 1: A harder shot is a faded way to shoot over
[1:20:46] Speaker 1: a long motherfucker like that. Nah, two dribbles. Not to
[1:20:48] Speaker 1: shoot when his hand's down.
[1:20:49] Speaker 6: Two dribbles, pump fake. Oh, Kenyon ain't going for it.
[1:20:51] Speaker 6: Let me spin back. He pump fake again. He's still
[1:20:53] Speaker 6: not going for it. Let me reverse pivot. You want
[1:20:56] Speaker 6: to be able to make hard shots. Let me reverse
[1:20:59] Speaker 6: pivot off the glass. You want to be able to
[1:21:02] Speaker 6: make hard shots? You don't want to have to take
[1:21:03] Speaker 6: hard shots for every shot. So, if you can get
[1:21:07] Speaker 6: foul based on flopping. We're talking about flopping, though. We're
[1:21:10] Speaker 6: not just talking about getting foul. We're not talking about
[1:21:13] Speaker 6: getting foul, Nick. We're talking about flopping. That's called faking, nigga.
[1:21:18] Speaker 6: That's being a fake-ass nigga. You're being fake as fuck
[1:21:23] Speaker 6: out here. You're flopping.
[1:21:25] Speaker 1: That's why he's talking as fake ass nigga. That's why
[1:21:31] Speaker 1: he can't be a number fucking one. He don't know
[1:21:34] Speaker 1: how to score. He said sell your soul. That's why
[1:21:37] Speaker 1: he said it. You want me to do that?
[1:21:39] Speaker 2: I don't have to sell a call if I know
[1:21:41] Speaker 2: how to get a call, nigga.
[1:21:43] Speaker 1: I can run through you. I'm going to run through you.
[1:21:49] Speaker 1: There you go. That's his game. I'm going to make
[1:21:51] Speaker 1: you call it. I ain't got to. But why not?
[1:21:54] Speaker 1: Ain't that the IQ of the game?
[1:21:55] Speaker 4: No.
[1:21:56] Speaker 1: For real. No. Why make it harder? Yeah. I asked
[1:21:59] Speaker 1: Kyrie because he make it hard. Oh, he don't. Super
[1:22:03] Speaker 1: crazy part. I don't think Kyrie make it hard. Damn. Damn, bro.
[1:22:07] Speaker 1: A lot of opposable moments throughout this discord. Difficult. Difficult.
[1:22:11] Speaker 1: We use difficult. Man, we on grown man. Man, stop.
[1:22:15] Speaker 1: Kyrie make it difficult. I'm getting told for that. I
[1:22:19] Speaker 1: got to talk.
[1:22:20] Speaker 2: I'm getting told for that.
[1:22:22] Speaker 1: I love women. Yeah. Difficult. He know how to make
[1:22:26] Speaker 1: it hard for real. We make difficult plays. Nah, he
[1:22:29] Speaker 1: be making hard plays. Hard and smoky.
[1:22:32] Speaker 6: But everybody who know the difference, man, you know the
[1:22:35] Speaker 6: fucking difference if we out here playing.
[1:22:36] Speaker 4: If I'm playing defense on you.
[1:22:38] Speaker 1: And you're like, uh. It's like you just said, Devin Harris.
[1:22:42] Speaker 1: If you picking Devin Harris up and he flopping every
[1:22:45] Speaker 1: fucking five seconds and they giving him that shit, you
[1:22:49] Speaker 1: got three fucking fouls off two flops.
[1:22:52] Speaker 2: That's not smart basketball to me.
[1:22:55] Speaker 1: Off nothing I'm doing? Nothing you're doing, bro. He just
[1:22:58] Speaker 1: know if I go, uh. If Brandon just guard me
[1:23:02] Speaker 1: full court, he's just right here. I'm going to just
[1:23:04] Speaker 1: go up. What's his name? What am I doing? Martin.
[1:23:06] Speaker 2: The Martin dude that used to shit like Kevin Martin.
[1:23:08] Speaker 1: Same guy. The same guy. Kevin Martin, Lou Will, all
[1:23:11] Speaker 1: them niggas. That shit is a gift, bro. Ain't no gift.
[1:23:14] Speaker 1: That is. Ain't no gift. All the uh. It's like.
[1:23:17] Speaker 1: All right, look. If you was at.
[1:23:19] Speaker 2: But which one do they take more, though? You get
[1:23:23] Speaker 2: criticized for being a bad shot maker. That's a tough
[1:23:26] Speaker 2: shot compared to other people. No, we're just saying don't flop.
[1:23:29] Speaker 1: A bad shot maker is considered a person that takes
[1:23:32] Speaker 1: hard shots. You flopping and you getting fouled is two
[1:23:35] Speaker 1: different things. Some of those are fouls when he put
[1:23:39] Speaker 1: himself in position to get fouled.
[1:23:42] Speaker 4: But when you flop.
[1:23:44] Speaker 1: That is different than getting fouled. If I hit you
[1:23:47] Speaker 1: out of position, Brunson gets you up, and then he
[1:23:50] Speaker 1: throw into you, that's not a flop. You out of position.
[1:23:53] Speaker 1: That's a smart play. That's what Gil be talking about.
[1:23:55] Speaker 1: That's a flop.
[1:23:55] Speaker 6: But when you flopping, that's the punk shit. That's when
[1:23:59] Speaker 6: I didn't touch you. That's when you on some, you
[1:24:02] Speaker 6: just trying to sell it because you got nothing else
[1:24:04] Speaker 6: for your game.
[1:24:05] Speaker 1: This is all you got is selling that bullshit. If
[1:24:08] Speaker 1: I can get you out of the game, that's smart.
[1:24:11] Speaker 5: It seems like he's taking a shot at SGA, but
[1:24:13] Speaker 5: it feels like SGA has more to his game than
[1:24:17] Speaker 5: just flopping. It has been dubbed a foul merchant, foul baiter,
[1:24:19] Speaker 5: all those other derogatory terms.
[1:24:20] Speaker 1: We all watching the game. Ain't that high IQ? So
[1:24:22] Speaker 1: you talking, so Sha coming from a place where you
[1:24:26] Speaker 1: play physical defense, right?
[1:24:28] Speaker 4: Because everybody don't play defense.
[1:24:29] Speaker 1: So for you and for me, if a motherfucker do that,
[1:24:34] Speaker 1: you punk ass nigga. I'm hot. Play through it. So
[1:24:38] Speaker 1: my thing is, so the way I handle it, I'm
[1:24:41] Speaker 1: going to have a quick two. You got to get
[1:24:43] Speaker 1: this other one. Shortly after, I am picking up my second.
[1:24:49] Speaker 1: I have to. Let me get my one. I got
[1:24:53] Speaker 1: to feel like that. I wasn't taking advantage of the
[1:24:58] Speaker 1: one job. Therefore, I'm going to pick up the second
[1:25:00] Speaker 1: one and I'm going to walk straight to the bench.
[1:25:01] Speaker 1: That's me. I got the two hardest pictures out of
[1:25:04] Speaker 1: the game. I won. And I got... Who coming in
[1:25:11] Speaker 1: for y'all? Reggie. Reggie. Terry Kittles. I'm going at his legs.
[1:25:15] Speaker 1: I'm going at Kittles. I'm going out the game and
[1:25:16] Speaker 1: Reggie Evans is coming in. You better, hey.
[1:25:19] Speaker 4: But you thinking that's smart. Well, we was in Denver.
[1:25:22] Speaker 1: Hey, you better hope McKenna don't get that second one. Man.
[1:25:25] Speaker 4: Because Reggie coming in, nigga. He's going to foul you worse.
[1:25:27] Speaker 1: Hey, good luck.
[1:25:28] Speaker 2: We got Terry Kittles coming after her.
[1:25:30] Speaker 1: Or Ben Horn. I'm going at his legs. It's just
[1:25:34] Speaker 1: a different hoop perspective, bro, when you know I ain't
[1:25:36] Speaker 1: got to do that to get one up on you.
[1:25:39] Speaker 1: I think it's hype. I don't got to fly to
[1:25:41] Speaker 1: get one up. It's hype. It's hype. It's hype. It's hype.
[1:25:43] Speaker 1: It's hype. It's hype. It's hype. It's hype. It's hype.
[1:25:45] Speaker 1: It's hype. It's hype. It's hype. It's hype. If you
[1:25:53] Speaker 1: take away the flop, I'm not talking about the IQ shit.
[1:25:56] Speaker 4: How they swallow the whistle in the playoffs, right?
[1:25:58] Speaker 1: Like, when you flop and they give you a flop, bro,
[1:26:02] Speaker 1: if they take that away, it's a turnover. What if
[1:26:04] Speaker 1: the flop looked like a foul, though? That's like what
[1:26:06] Speaker 1: Gil was saying about Luke and AR, right? That's how
[1:26:08] Speaker 1: Gil was saying about Luke and AR. Like, every time
[1:26:11] Speaker 1: they're doing this shit, right? So, when you flop and
[1:26:14] Speaker 1: they don't call it, now it looks extra bad, right?
[1:26:16] Speaker 1: And you don't run back. I think it's... Y'all brought
[1:26:20] Speaker 1: up the dude Kevin Martin. Them dudes, like, so they
[1:26:24] Speaker 1: work on that shit, man. Like, you on their hip.
[1:26:26] Speaker 1: You got your arm on them. They work on, like,
[1:26:29] Speaker 1: all that shit is like both of y'all are saying.
[1:26:31] Speaker 1: It's high IQ shit. For sure. I think it's software
[1:26:34] Speaker 1: playing basketball for a lot of dudes, right? I barely
[1:26:36] Speaker 1: touch and you fall the fuck out of bounds. Like,
[1:26:38] Speaker 1: that shit is weak. If I got you out of position,
[1:26:39] Speaker 1: I deserve a different. But that's offhand. That's different. I
[1:26:43] Speaker 1: don't know about other ways of flopping.
[1:26:44] Speaker 4: That's a high IQ shit. Because that's not a flop.
[1:26:47] Speaker 4: That's not a flop. I can't even do that.
[1:26:50] Speaker 2: But I'm talking about if I got you out of position.
[1:26:54] Speaker 2: You go by me. That's a quick first step. I'm
[1:26:58] Speaker 2: out of position now. And you draw a foul on me?
[1:27:01] Speaker 2: That's not a flop.
[1:27:02] Speaker 3: He talking about just me coming guard you and you just...
[1:27:05] Speaker 3: You just lobbed me.
[1:27:07] Speaker 1: You going up and down the court and you done
[1:27:09] Speaker 1: did this shit seven times. They gonna call one of them.
[1:27:13] Speaker 1: Do you feel like... It's like I'm not gay. I'm
[1:27:16] Speaker 1: not gay.
[1:27:17] Speaker 4: I'm not gay.
[1:27:18] Speaker 1: That is not. We embrace all wearing Gil's arena. I
[1:27:20] Speaker 1: hate that. And we all looking like, bro, are you good, bro?
[1:27:23] Speaker 1: What is going on? So now you drive to the basket, right?
[1:27:26] Speaker 1: I hate that. Yeah. I know. So now, real situation,
[1:27:30] Speaker 1: doing that shit. We all thought Dirk used to do
[1:27:32] Speaker 1: that shit, right? Yeah, he did. Yeah.
[1:27:34] Speaker 4: So therefore, he did the shit. They called one. He
[1:27:36] Speaker 4: do it. Okay, let me help.
[1:27:38] Speaker 1: Let me really hit you. Out of bounds. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:27:42] Speaker 1: I got... But it's the real shit.
[1:27:44] Speaker 4: Like, if you're going to do it, then.
[1:27:46] Speaker 1: Some of them motherfuckers, that shit's like, all right, nigga.
[1:27:49] Speaker 1: Do you put SGA, Luka, AR in that category, though?
[1:27:52] Speaker 1: Sometimes people do be playing over-aggressive. And you can't... That's
[1:27:55] Speaker 1: the one... That's the one... That's the IQ shit I
[1:28:02] Speaker 1: think y'all talking about. You got a Lou Dort on you,
[1:28:05] Speaker 1: and he's trying to establish.
[1:28:07] Speaker 6: I'm playing aggressive against you tonight. Now, not to say
[1:28:10] Speaker 6: that he can't. When he goes overboard with the aggression,
[1:28:15] Speaker 6: he's pushing me.
[1:28:16] Speaker 1: All over the place. I got to get one on him.
[1:28:17] Speaker 1: I got to get one on him. He's pushing you
[1:28:19] Speaker 1: out every time. Two hands on you. Ron Artest, Steven Jackson.
[1:28:24] Speaker 3: Those guys, you try to get the two quick fouls
[1:28:28] Speaker 3: on them.
[1:28:29] Speaker 1: I know you're aggressive.
[1:28:30] Speaker 3: I want to get you out the game.
[1:28:31] Speaker 1: If we are in our momentums, if we got our
[1:28:34] Speaker 1: lather going, we're like, all right, defensively, I know I'm
[1:28:36] Speaker 1: on this shit.
[1:28:37] Speaker 4: I know what he's doing here. I know what he's
[1:28:39] Speaker 4: doing there. The only thing he can.
[1:28:41] Speaker 1: Do is flop. Yeah, he wants you off him. Or
[1:28:43] Speaker 1: a pump fake, yeah. Because I'm on it. I'm on this.
[1:28:46] Speaker 1: I'm on that. Like, now you have to flop. You
[1:28:47] Speaker 1: got a pump fake. You got a pump fake. But
[1:28:49] Speaker 1: the over-aggressive guys, like you said, is one thing.
[1:28:51] Speaker 3: But if I'm coming down playing D and I'm like,
[1:28:54] Speaker 3: you know, I'm trying to stop you. and then you
[1:28:55] Speaker 3: hit me with a pump fake, you know, okay, that's
[1:28:58] Speaker 3: one thing. But if you just coming down and I'm
[1:29:00] Speaker 3: just playing and.
[1:29:01] Speaker 1: It's like, all right, God damn, my nigga. That's a foul.
[1:29:03] Speaker 1: But that's not a flop, though, Nick. That's you have
[1:29:05] Speaker 1: literally created contact. It's a foul on me. Nah, but
[1:29:07] Speaker 1: we saying, if I don't hit you with the shoulder...
[1:29:21] Speaker 1: And I avoid that.
[1:29:22] Speaker 4: And then you're expecting me to hit you, but I don't.
[1:29:26] Speaker 1: I move.
[1:29:26] Speaker 4: And you go, ah!
[1:29:28] Speaker 1: They don't see the contact. They just see you flopping.
[1:29:31] Speaker 3: And a lot of that happens when you don't have
[1:29:32] Speaker 3: the ball. That's what he's saying, too. So Sam, when
[1:29:35] Speaker 3: he's trying to come down, and he's just doing like,
[1:29:37] Speaker 3: he's like, ugh. Like, this is like, bro, I'm not
[1:29:39] Speaker 3: even doing, I'm right here.
[1:29:40] Speaker 4: Richard Hamilton used to do that shit. Can't guard rip
[1:29:43] Speaker 4: on the fucking go around.
[1:29:44] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. All that shit.
[1:29:46] Speaker 4: He's just going to stop and make you run him over. Yeah,
[1:29:48] Speaker 4: that shit.
[1:29:49] Speaker 1: Reggie Miller. Reggie Miller. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Yeah, it's
[1:29:54] Speaker 1: high IQ. Damn it.
[1:29:56] Speaker 6: So it worked both ways. I'm just saying, the flop
[1:29:58] Speaker 6: shit to me is like the Duke shit. When a
[1:29:59] Speaker 6: Duke nigga don't want to meet you at the top
[1:30:01] Speaker 6: of the block, he want to take a fucking charge.
[1:30:03] Speaker 6: He want to stand here. Oh, he want to take
[1:30:04] Speaker 6: a charge.
[1:30:05] Speaker 1: What the fuck? Get your ass out. The Shane Battier. Yeah,
[1:30:07] Speaker 1: Shane Battier and all the motherfuckers. Because, man, it's like, bro,
[1:30:10] Speaker 1: we here to, I'm about to bang on you. Meet
[1:30:13] Speaker 1: me at the sky, nigga. Meet me at the top.
[1:30:14] Speaker 4: Nah, nah, I'm taking this charge on you, bro.
[1:30:16] Speaker 1: I hate that shit. That make you fall and shit. Yeah,
[1:30:19] Speaker 1: you get hurt and all that type of shit. You
[1:30:21] Speaker 1: get hurt? Meet me at the top. See, y'all, see
[1:30:23] Speaker 1: the thing is, he take one, y'all got to make
[1:30:24] Speaker 1: him pay for it. No, you need to fuck up.
[1:30:27] Speaker 1: You put your knee right in there. I'm going to
[1:30:30] Speaker 1: land on you. Land on you and everything. I'm all
[1:30:34] Speaker 1: about you. Elbow right in your chest and you won't
[1:30:38] Speaker 1: take another one.
[1:30:40] Speaker 4: You won't take another one.
[1:30:41] Speaker 1: I'll be on that 100%. You won't stand in there
[1:30:45] Speaker 1: for another one. That is goddamn accurate. It's a different
[1:30:48] Speaker 1: type of hoop. That's all I'm saying. I watched him
[1:30:53] Speaker 1: when I was coming up.
[1:30:55] Speaker 6: He was one of my idols when I was watching. Defense,
[1:30:58] Speaker 6: all the scream shit, that's my culture, bro. So when
[1:31:01] Speaker 6: I took that as a guard and I took that approach...
[1:31:05] Speaker 6: to the guard side, playing defense like that, blocking a
[1:31:08] Speaker 6: nigga's shot, get that shit out of here, motherfucker.
[1:31:11] Speaker 1: All that meant something.
[1:31:13] Speaker 6: So when you see a nigga flailing and flopping, you
[1:31:15] Speaker 6: out there trying to deny, come on.
[1:31:18] Speaker 1: Bro, get that weak-ass shit out of here, man. We
[1:31:20] Speaker 1: ain't on that. And I'm talking to him like that, like, bro,
[1:31:23] Speaker 1: what's up? Bro, you good? Why you flopping? Relax. They
[1:31:27] Speaker 1: didn't even say flopping back then, though. I never heard
[1:31:30] Speaker 1: of that. It was just bitch ass nigga shit? Yeah.
[1:31:33] Speaker 2: It was more like, stop acting like a little bitch.
[1:31:35] Speaker 1: Yeah, that. I never heard motherfuckers say flop back in
[1:31:38] Speaker 1: the day. You flopping, bro. Stop acting like a bitch.
[1:31:40] Speaker 1: That's exactly what it was.
[1:31:41] Speaker 4: That soft ass shit.
[1:31:42] Speaker 1: Yeah, like, what was it? Say flop. We used to say,
[1:31:45] Speaker 1: soft ass, you're a bitch. Soft ass. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:31:47] Speaker 1: It's that soft ass shit. The only thing I had
[1:31:49] Speaker 1: in my game, right, that was resemblance. I didn't take
[1:31:52] Speaker 1: real charges in the league, right? Cause I, cause I
[1:31:56] Speaker 1: meet you. But for me, my thing is like, I
[1:31:58] Speaker 1: would slide, which slide. And if you, Oh, that.
[1:32:01] Speaker 4: Was the only thing I had in my game, right?
[1:32:03] Speaker 1: Like flying defensively. And that didn't even look, it didn't
[1:32:08] Speaker 1: look like it. They wasn't going for it. They wasn't
[1:32:13] Speaker 1: going for it.
[1:32:14] Speaker 3: You think if you would have took more charges, they
[1:32:17] Speaker 3: would have gave you more love defensively.
[1:32:19] Speaker 1: Probably so. But because you was challenging everything, you didn't care.
[1:32:22] Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I just feel like because
[1:32:24] Speaker 1: of what they think defensive is. Oh, Kenyon taking two
[1:32:27] Speaker 1: or three charges a day. Instead of hard fouls.
[1:32:29] Speaker 3: Instead of hard fouls and trying to meet him at
[1:32:30] Speaker 3: the rim, they would have looked at you as like, oh, yeah,
[1:32:32] Speaker 3: he's a defensive guy.
[1:32:33] Speaker 1: Like, you know, not. Okay. Absolutely. That definitely plays a part.
[1:32:38] Speaker 1: I know. For real. If you're getting categorized as a fouler,
[1:32:42] Speaker 1: an aggressive fouler and not a– But my thing is,
[1:32:45] Speaker 1: I average over a steal and over a block a game,
[1:32:48] Speaker 1: like every year. Over a steal and over a block
[1:32:51] Speaker 1: a game, every single year. But to your point, if
[1:32:54] Speaker 1: I took more charges. They'll look at you like, oh shit.
[1:32:58] Speaker 1: They don't count me on.
[1:32:59] Speaker 4: The ball because they need the shot.
[1:33:01] Speaker 1: Same thing.
[1:33:01] Speaker 8: It's just that you're keeping the ball in play. You're
[1:33:03] Speaker 8: keeping the ball in play. and play with it instead
[1:33:10] Speaker 8: of charge. That makes sense. That's why it's like the
[1:33:12] Speaker 8: defensive thing. Both of them was, I think both worked though.
[1:33:16] Speaker 2: Niggas not going to the hole knowing that you're going
[1:33:18] Speaker 2: to get thrown on the ground too.
[1:33:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, but for the people that's looking at defense. But
[1:33:22] Speaker 1: that's for us, literally for the player, but they don't
[1:33:24] Speaker 1: see that. They're not looking at that. He's fouling.
[1:33:26] Speaker 3: First of all, he's keeping the game going because he's challenging.
[1:33:29] Speaker 1: So block or not, but with a charge, it's like
[1:33:31] Speaker 1: take it out, boom, boom. And it's a foul on
[1:33:33] Speaker 1: the other team. It's a turnover on the other team.
[1:33:36] Speaker 1: Nine and a half times out of ten, right? If
[1:33:39] Speaker 1: it was a wing or a big, I was on
[1:33:42] Speaker 1: the ball nine and a half times out of ten, right? So,
[1:33:47] Speaker 1: contesting shots consistently, making guys take tough shots, there's no
[1:33:51] Speaker 1: stat for that. Right. So, me contesting shots and all
[1:33:55] Speaker 1: the rebounds down, of course, but always on the fucking ball.
[1:33:58] Speaker 1: I'm switching pick and rolls on the perimeter with a guard.
[1:34:00] Speaker 1: And up.
[1:34:02] Speaker 4: My job is to make you take a contestant, too.
[1:34:04] Speaker 1: My job is not to let you get by me
[1:34:06] Speaker 1: for pressure on defense. Rudy Gates, remember him in the game?
[1:34:09] Speaker 1: Game 7, oh, yes. Vince, Rudy, you name it, bro,
[1:34:13] Speaker 1: for game. No easy layup. No easy layup. Yeah, contestant
[1:34:18] Speaker 1: number one. But it's crazy, though. It's crazy.
[1:34:21] Speaker 3: If he take more charges, he's looked at. Like, you know,
[1:34:24] Speaker 3: they're respecting him. And it's like, I'm challenging. I'm keeping
[1:34:27] Speaker 3: the ball in play.
[1:34:28] Speaker 1: He's missing. And we're... Yeah, like, you know, we're going
[1:34:31] Speaker 1: like where's the stop in that? Dang. He's just like
[1:34:33] Speaker 1: a deflection like you get credit for deflection.
[1:34:37] Speaker 6: You get credit for deflection, but you don't get credit
[1:34:39] Speaker 6: for being like, yeah, change changing the shot. Yeah, like
[1:34:43] Speaker 6: DeAndre Jordan used to be one of the scariest niggas.
[1:34:46] Speaker 6: You go in there try to throw that shit up.
[1:34:48] Speaker 6: Dwight Hammond, Dwight Howard.
[1:34:50] Speaker 1: Get that fucking and then him and Marcus can't be
[1:34:53] Speaker 1: played on the same team, my nigga.
[1:34:55] Speaker 4: Do you understand what that means?
[1:34:58] Speaker 1: A defensive player of the year. Him and Marcus can
[1:35:00] Speaker 1: be on the same team four or five. Niggas, stop.
[1:35:04] Speaker 1: You better dunk it. You better dunk it. You can't
[1:35:08] Speaker 1: dunk it.
[1:35:08] Speaker 4: You better.
[1:35:09] Speaker 1: You have to dunk it. And then if I go out,
[1:35:11] Speaker 1: you got MC blocking shots. But you got MC blocking shots.
[1:35:14] Speaker 1: That was Denver, right? Then you got Nene and Reggie
[1:35:16] Speaker 1: taking charge.
[1:35:18] Speaker 4: That was Denver. Yeah, all three of them.
[1:35:21] Speaker 1: That's when they went to the Western Conference Finals, right?
[1:35:23] Speaker 1: After the Naha Rock wasn't there, but yeah. But Nene
[1:35:26] Speaker 1: take charges. Reggie take charges. Naha Rock was taking charges.
[1:35:29] Speaker 1: Me and MC blocking shit. So good luck. Man. And
[1:35:33] Speaker 1: it wasn't like niggas with slouches on the perimeter. Niggas
[1:35:35] Speaker 1: stay with you.
[1:35:36] Speaker 6: Roger straight to the motherfucking big guys.
[1:35:40] Speaker 2: What happened after that year y'all lost to the Lakers?
[1:35:43] Speaker 1: They traded. They blew it up. 2011, they traded. John
[1:35:48] Speaker 1: Sam Mello. Wait, wait, wait, wait. To the Knicks. For real? Yeah.
[1:35:55] Speaker 1: The year y'all made. 2010, 2012.
[1:35:56] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:35:58] Speaker 1: They traded. They did two years in a row, right?
[1:36:00] Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Y'all played the Lakers.
[1:36:02] Speaker 4: In the Western Conference Finals.
[1:36:04] Speaker 1: They swept us one year, and then we played them
[1:36:05] Speaker 1: in the Western Conference Finals and threw the ball away twice. Yeah.
[1:36:09] Speaker 1: Out of bounds plays, and they blew the team up.
[1:36:12] Speaker 3: That first day when Melo and them got to the Knicks,
[1:36:14] Speaker 3: we were their first game when Melo came.
[1:36:16] Speaker 1: Oh, for real? They woofed our ass. The NBA set
[1:36:19] Speaker 1: us up. It was like one of them ones.
[1:36:21] Speaker 3: They was crying in here. Knicks fans, they was like,
[1:36:23] Speaker 3: the chosen one is coming back. It was crazy. It
[1:36:28] Speaker 3: was crazy. The garden was shut.
[1:36:31] Speaker 1: Damn. His first game as a Knick?
[1:36:33] Speaker 3: His first game as a Knick, they put down the lights.
[1:36:35] Speaker 3: He did his in-stroke through the thing. I said, we
[1:36:38] Speaker 3: not winning this game tonight.
[1:36:39] Speaker 1: They whooped our ass. That's how we was.
[1:36:42] Speaker 2: We played Boston the first game, and they had KG.
[1:36:46] Speaker 1: Oh, my God. What? It was like the chosen one
[1:36:48] Speaker 1: was coming. They were like black jeans. They were like,
[1:36:51] Speaker 1: he's coming back to New York hometown. Oh, man. I
[1:36:53] Speaker 1: know what you're talking about. New York was crying. They said,
[1:36:56] Speaker 1: this is it. We on.
[1:36:59] Speaker 4: Like, the fact that they traded Chauncey with him, I
[1:37:02] Speaker 4: was livid.
[1:37:03] Speaker 1: Chauncey, yeah. Chauncey looked like he was out of it, though.
[1:37:06] Speaker 1: He was home, though. He was at home, Colorado. I
[1:37:10] Speaker 1: remember talking to Chauncey during that game. He was just like, man,
[1:37:13] Speaker 1: this shit. He wasn't ready for that. No, he was
[1:37:15] Speaker 1: at home. He thought he was... He was at the crib, dog. Yeah,
[1:37:18] Speaker 1: he filmed that, man. He filmed that. Oh, okay, okay.
[1:37:21] Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? So to get, and that's
[1:37:24] Speaker 1: your second stint there. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:37:26] Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
[1:37:26] Speaker 1: It was the second time there, so it's, and they
[1:37:29] Speaker 1: traded big shot. I'm saying we knew the mellow shit
[1:37:31] Speaker 1: was coming eventually. But then they motherfucking traded a big
[1:37:35] Speaker 1: shot with him.
[1:37:35] Speaker 4: I was like, all right, man.
[1:37:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, Chauncey was off. For Wilson, Chandler, and Gallinari. Hey,
[1:37:42] Speaker 1: where'd my peak slip at? Hey, goddamn. Shit. I remember that.
[1:37:47] Speaker 1: That was at Chauncey's trade. Maas, Goff, all that. That
[1:37:52] Speaker 1: was shot terrible that day. That was shot like 30
[1:37:55] Speaker 1: shots that day. Giannis' situation is similar. What? To the
[1:38:00] Speaker 1: Melo and... Denver. See, see, see, see the thing.
[1:38:04] Speaker 3: About Melo, see the thing about Melo though, like Melo
[1:38:07] Speaker 3: was born in New York. So like when he came No, I'm.
[1:38:10] Speaker 1: Talking about just like in the locker room knowing like,
[1:38:12] Speaker 1: cause everybody was talking about Melo getting traded. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:38:16] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm saying, oh I thought you were saying
[1:38:18] Speaker 1: if Giannis went to New York. Like when Melo went there,
[1:38:21] Speaker 1: it was like they was like, yo God, like God came.
[1:38:25] Speaker 1: Like it was just like, you.
[1:38:26] Speaker 3: Know they was going crazy. And we was right in
[1:38:28] Speaker 3: the middle of that shit. I'm like man, we finna
[1:38:30] Speaker 3: get our ass beat.
[1:38:32] Speaker 1: It was crazy.
[1:38:33] Speaker 5: All right, well, let's keep this thing moving. It was
[1:38:37] Speaker 5: an interstate battle for the NBA Cup quarterfinal opener between
[1:38:40] Speaker 5: the top seeded Magic fourth-seeded Heat.
[1:38:43] Speaker 1: We still talking about basketball? NBA Cups, Swaggy. This is
[1:38:46] Speaker 1: a basketball show. I'm going to let them cook, man.
[1:38:48] Speaker 1: Trying to get my check for the day. Let me see. Orlando.
[1:38:52] Speaker 1: I just want to talk about that rich ball. Go ahead.
[1:38:54] Speaker 1: Which one?
[1:38:55] Speaker 9: We spoke about it yesterday. What you want to bring
[1:38:57] Speaker 9: back up that you missed? What did you want to
[1:38:59] Speaker 9: circle back on?
[1:38:59] Speaker 1: Yeah. Because we ain't talking about Orlando. We're going to
[1:39:03] Speaker 1: give them some love. No, man. We gave them a lot.
[1:39:05] Speaker 1: The ball. Bang through the ball. We have a quota
[1:39:08] Speaker 1: that we have to reach every season. So we talked
[1:39:10] Speaker 1: about the Raptors today for a good six minutes. Now
[1:39:13] Speaker 1: we got to talk. Well, we saved him six minutes, man.
[1:39:15] Speaker 1: Put him in the bank. Put him in the bank.
[1:39:18] Speaker 1: Put him in the bank. We're going to put him
[1:39:19] Speaker 1: in the bank. Okay, we got 15 more minutes. Get
[1:39:21] Speaker 1: a mulligan. I'm going to see if we got 15
[1:39:23] Speaker 1: more minutes. We got unlimited time here.
[1:39:26] Speaker 6: I just remember it was like he came on the
[1:39:30] Speaker 6: show and called me a hater. Everybody just kind of
[1:39:35] Speaker 6: just let that shit go.
[1:39:36] Speaker 1: Rich. Rich. Rich called you a hater? Yeah, I'm a hater.
[1:39:40] Speaker 1: I'm one of the episodes. I was not on.
[1:39:43] Speaker 6: So I'm just trying to wonder why we be giving
[1:39:46] Speaker 6: motherfuckers love on our shit and they don't be giving
[1:39:49] Speaker 6: us love on their shit. You know what I'm saying?
[1:39:51] Speaker 6: We cover their shit. Oh, Rich Paul, he ain't say
[1:39:54] Speaker 6: a goddamn thing about Gills Arena on that motherfucker.
[1:39:59] Speaker 1: He ain't say shit.
[1:39:59] Speaker 4: It's like he got two podcasts.
[1:40:04] Speaker 1: What we doing? Looking at me all the time.
[1:40:07] Speaker 2: Look at me every time.
[1:40:11] Speaker 1: Look up. This is my camera angle. I can look
[1:40:15] Speaker 1: in the camera or I can look away. I can
[1:40:18] Speaker 1: look back there too, nigga. He's not on Zoom. Engage
[1:40:22] Speaker 1: with me, nigga!
[1:40:23] Speaker 3: Shit!
[1:40:24] Speaker 1: He was like, nigga, leave me out of it, nigga.
[1:40:27] Speaker 1: That's not me. I told you to sit up. I
[1:40:28] Speaker 1: said it was coming. Sit up.
[1:40:30] Speaker 4: I said to sit.
[1:40:32] Speaker 1: Up, right? He'd be so mad when you look at it.
[1:40:35] Speaker 1: He'd be like, man, you making it personal, man. It's
[1:40:37] Speaker 1: not me. He's like, why you looking at him? I'm
[1:40:41] Speaker 1: just talking. I don't want to look at the kid
[1:40:43] Speaker 1: on Zoom. This ain't a Zoom. He don't want no
[1:40:45] Speaker 1: smoke in the streets, bro. He don't want no smoke
[1:40:47] Speaker 1: in the streets, man. I'm just saying, dog. No, but
[1:40:48] Speaker 1: I just thought it was weird, man. Like, the conversation that,
[1:40:51] Speaker 1: the fact that Max and Rich Paul has a podcast and,
[1:40:54] Speaker 1: like I said yesterday, it's just not about what they,
[1:40:59] Speaker 1: their richest field of business, which is basketball, but you
[1:41:05] Speaker 1: in the business side of it, not in the wins
[1:41:07] Speaker 1: and losses business. If you to be speaking on that
[1:41:11] Speaker 1: and how good a team is, I just found interesting, man. Like,
[1:41:13] Speaker 1: I just, man. He called you a hater on here?
[1:41:15] Speaker 1: I know. Like, no, no, when he came here, when
[1:41:18] Speaker 1: he was sitting here next to me. No, no, no,
[1:41:19] Speaker 1: I was thinking it was Vegas. Yeah, he remember. Oh,
[1:41:22] Speaker 1: I wasn't on the show then, see. Wait, no, why
[1:41:23] Speaker 1: you looking at me, motherfucker? I wasn't on the show then.
[1:41:25] Speaker 1: He remember. He remember.
[1:41:27] Speaker 4: I'm just saying he did it.
[1:41:30] Speaker 1: Wait, hold on. Wait, hold on.
[1:41:32] Speaker 4: All-star San Francisco?
[1:41:33] Speaker 1: Yeah, all-star. Okay, yeah. Oh, all-star. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But look,
[1:41:37] Speaker 1: this is all I'm saying is. Yeah, the one where
[1:41:39] Speaker 1: they told us that we didn't work every day. Yeah.
[1:41:41] Speaker 1: That show. That show. Say I was a hater because
[1:41:45] Speaker 1: I don't know. But look, this is what I'm saying.
[1:41:47] Speaker 1: I'm just like, I'm just like, look, if we're going
[1:41:51] Speaker 1: to talk hoop, right? Y'all seen the Eddie Murphy documentary, right?
[1:41:57] Speaker 4: He had the little puppet thing. That is a goat, though.
[1:42:00] Speaker 1: Right?
[1:42:01] Speaker 6: Somebody telling this nigga to say some shit, and he
[1:42:04] Speaker 6: on the podcast saying some shit.
[1:42:06] Speaker 1: You got clients. You got... Do you doing your thing?
[1:42:09] Speaker 1: But you ain't really promoting the game. Like, you got
[1:42:12] Speaker 1: to promote the game, bro. Let's promote the game. We
[1:42:15] Speaker 1: ain't got to promote certain players. You got to.
[1:42:17] Speaker 6: Man, look. Let's just talk hoop. Let's talk fucking hoop, bro.
[1:42:23] Speaker 6: We don't have to do nothing else.
[1:42:24] Speaker 1: I respect.
[1:42:25] Speaker 4: Everybody craft.
[1:42:27] Speaker 6: I'm on the type of time where if we all
[1:42:30] Speaker 6: talking positive, it ain't going to make good for the
[1:42:32] Speaker 6: game because the game needs to be critiqued. So if
[1:42:35] Speaker 6: everybody's catching sensitivity problems like Ralph Transvantz.
[1:42:43] Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? We can't talk about certain things.
[1:42:46] Speaker 2: Sometimes some of these people look up to y'all. I mean,
[1:42:48] Speaker 2: we can talk about anything, but at the end of
[1:42:49] Speaker 2: the day... When they hear shit like that, bad things,
[1:42:52] Speaker 2: you know.
[1:42:53] Speaker 1: But, no, no, yeah. Even you.
[1:42:54] Speaker 2: I was mad when people talked shit about us on ESPN.
[1:42:58] Speaker 1: Like... That's it. But when they hear it from a player...
[1:43:01] Speaker 1: If somebody say something about me, I'm going to say something.
[1:43:03] Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck if it's true or not.
[1:43:04] Speaker 3: If you got something to say, then be ready. Be
[1:43:06] Speaker 3: ready for me to say something. And you better have
[1:43:09] Speaker 3: your bars ready because I got a lot of bars.
[1:43:12] Speaker 3: A lot of motherfuckers. We're in a business where it's critics...
[1:43:15] Speaker 3: It's fucking.
[1:43:16] Speaker 6: Motherfuckers to come in here and is going to talk
[1:43:18] Speaker 6: about the bad shit you do.
[1:43:20] Speaker 4: And the good shit you do. Everybody got a voice.
[1:43:22] Speaker 1: That's fine. Exactly. That's why he has a podcast.
[1:43:25] Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying.
[1:43:26] Speaker 1: So to Kenya's point, when you got a podcast and
[1:43:29] Speaker 1: you an active agent and you can tell guys that
[1:43:32] Speaker 1: you should be trying to trade this guy, trying to
[1:43:35] Speaker 1: trade that guy, it's unfair to the other agent. No,
[1:43:37] Speaker 1: it's not.
[1:43:38] Speaker 3: You get your ass, another agent should get his ass
[1:43:40] Speaker 3: out there and start his own podcast.
[1:43:42] Speaker 6: I'm not saying about creating the podcast. I'm talking about
[1:43:46] Speaker 6: creating the narrative.
[1:43:47] Speaker 1: It don't matter. It don't matter. Agents create narratives all
[1:43:50] Speaker 1: the time behind the scenes.
[1:43:51] Speaker 4: So I'm not dealing with that. Behind the scenes.
[1:43:53] Speaker 1: Because an agent is the worst thing to have. Behind
[1:43:55] Speaker 1: the scenes. I agree. Agents are cold, man.
[1:43:59] Speaker 3: So at the end of the day, if he gonna
[1:44:01] Speaker 3: find a way to make his voice into what it is, cool.
[1:44:04] Speaker 3: More agents should start being more motherfucking honest about what
[1:44:07] Speaker 3: they feel.
[1:44:08] Speaker 1: Because at the end of the day, you sitting there
[1:44:10] Speaker 1: getting 2%, 3% off some shit that you ain't got
[1:44:12] Speaker 1: nothing to do with, well, fuck it.
[1:44:14] Speaker 3: Like, at the end of the day, you full of shit,
[1:44:16] Speaker 3: an agent is full of shit any fucking way.
[1:44:18] Speaker 1: A hundred percent. So I'm going to be honest with you. Like,
[1:44:20] Speaker 1: you're talking about managing me.
[1:44:21] Speaker 3: At the end of the day, you already in cahoots
[1:44:23] Speaker 3: with this team.
[1:44:23] Speaker 1: That person, that person, that person, that person. At the
[1:44:27] Speaker 1: end of the day.
[1:44:29] Speaker 3: So I am happy that an agent is finally talking.
[1:44:32] Speaker 3: Because I want to know how much full of shit
[1:44:34] Speaker 3: you are in.
[1:44:34] Speaker 1: There you go. That's my point. So if that's what
[1:44:37] Speaker 1: you want, then okay, cool. At the end of the day,
[1:44:39] Speaker 1: that's fine.
[1:44:39] Speaker 4: We know you full of shit.
[1:44:41] Speaker 1: At the end of the day, because at the end
[1:44:42] Speaker 1: of the day, you know that agent. You're going to
[1:44:44] Speaker 1: do what you do.
[1:44:45] Speaker 3: First of all, if I'm signing to you, then that
[1:44:47] Speaker 3: means that I'm already in competition with the next motherfucker
[1:44:49] Speaker 3: that you sign with. So you're going to leverage me
[1:44:51] Speaker 3: to some less anyway. So at the end of the day,
[1:44:53] Speaker 3: as a young person coming in, I feel like what
[1:44:56] Speaker 3: you should do is take the same route I do.
[1:44:58] Speaker 3: Get into this business early. Learn what it is so
[1:45:01] Speaker 3: that you can do what you want to do. You
[1:45:02] Speaker 3: can hire your homeboy to be your agent at the
[1:45:04] Speaker 3: end of the day. You can hire a lawyer to
[1:45:06] Speaker 3: be Your lawyer, at the end of the day, going
[1:45:08] Speaker 3: to get 2% of anything you do anyway in life.
[1:45:10] Speaker 3: So if we're talking about an agent.
[1:45:11] Speaker 1: I mean, shit, look at my numbers. My numbers is 25, 7,
[1:45:14] Speaker 1: and 7. Hey, lawyer, go tell them what I need.
[1:45:17] Speaker 1: So here's the question I have for y'all. You can
[1:45:18] Speaker 1: just play the hourly, too, and save a little bit. Exactly.
[1:45:20] Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. So are the Lakers fucking contenders?
[1:45:25] Speaker 1: At this current juncture, number two in the West. Come on.
[1:45:28] Speaker 1: So tell me this.
[1:45:29] Speaker 6: Why would he say the Lakers are not contenders when
[1:45:31] Speaker 6: they clearly are?
[1:45:33] Speaker 1: That was his personal opinion.
[1:45:34] Speaker 6: I know that. So what's the agenda? If they're number
[1:45:39] Speaker 6: three in the NBA and you're saying they're not contenders,
[1:45:43] Speaker 6: your client, your main client, has been pushed to the
[1:45:46] Speaker 6: number three position on this team that he does not.
[1:45:50] Speaker 4: Get an extension for.
[1:45:51] Speaker 1: On an expiring contract. It doesn't add up.
[1:45:56] Speaker 6: I'm just saying it don't add up for you to
[1:45:58] Speaker 6: make that type of distinction knowing that it's false when
[1:46:02] Speaker 6: they're clearly contenders.
[1:46:04] Speaker 1: Are they better than OKC at this point? Do you
[1:46:06] Speaker 1: really believe the Lakers are a championship team right now?
[1:46:09] Speaker 6: I told Kenyon on Iman Shumpert's podcast, if LeBron comes
[1:46:12] Speaker 6: out and plays the way he needs to, they could
[1:46:14] Speaker 6: definitely be contenders, bro. If LeBron James shows up, which
[1:46:19] Speaker 6: he did not because this was before the... He did
[1:46:22] Speaker 6: not show up the way he was supposed to, and
[1:46:24] Speaker 6: they still are contenders. So that speaks of the Lakers
[1:46:29] Speaker 6: having not even a strong roster to even be where
[1:46:32] Speaker 6: they're supposed.
[1:46:33] Speaker 4: To be, but they're playing in contention.
[1:46:35] Speaker 6: So to say that is to make it all the
[1:46:38] Speaker 6: narrative look like the Lakers don't have something that we
[1:46:41] Speaker 6: don't see.
[1:46:42] Speaker 1: We're all watching them play.
[1:46:44] Speaker 4: They don't.
[1:46:44] Speaker 1: But we're watching them. But they don't. But we're watching them.
[1:46:47] Speaker 4: So if they don't, that means OKC don't, nigga.
[1:46:50] Speaker 1: They OKC, dude. How? It's the OLC. They're winning. Bro,
[1:46:53] Speaker 1: so are the Lakers. Oh, we see. We see. I see, too.
[1:46:58] Speaker 9: They got everything. OKC got everything. Strength of schedule. OKC,
[1:47:04] Speaker 9: worst strength of schedule.
[1:47:05] Speaker 1: Lakers are 18th. And it all. Look, if we say
[1:47:07] Speaker 1: OKC can be contenders, why can't the Lakers? When the
[1:47:12] Speaker 1: fucking Lakers record says what it is, they got two
[1:47:16] Speaker 1: players averaging almost 30 a game. What are we talking about?
[1:47:20] Speaker 5: We're talking about the regular season, because I think Rich
[1:47:22] Speaker 5: Paul was quick to specify that come playoffs, it's going to.
[1:47:25] Speaker 1: Be a different level. They ain't never had this type
[1:47:26] Speaker 1: of momentum. But they were three in the West last season,
[1:47:29] Speaker 1: come playoffs.
[1:47:29] Speaker 6: They ain't never had Austin Reeves playing like this. Austin
[1:47:32] Speaker 6: Reeves wasn't playing like this last year.
[1:47:35] Speaker 1: Turn his water off in the playoffs.
[1:47:37] Speaker 3: At the end of the day, signing with an agent
[1:47:38] Speaker 3: is like signing with a record label. Whoever the hottest artist,
[1:47:42] Speaker 3: that's who gets the most bucks. And then you got
[1:47:44] Speaker 3: your marketing manager that are going to bring in, and
[1:47:46] Speaker 3: then they're going to market you off that. So that's just,
[1:47:49] Speaker 3: I mean, that's just some knowledge for every young coming.
[1:47:51] Speaker 3: It ain't bad to sign with an agent. I'm just saying.
[1:47:53] Speaker 1: You could teach your homies that you living in the
[1:47:55] Speaker 1: house with.
[1:47:56] Speaker 2: If you don't want your agent all in the videos.
[1:47:59] Speaker 1: No, no.
[1:48:02] Speaker 3: I'm just saying, I'm being dead serious for these youngins.
[1:48:08] Speaker 1: You can sign with an agent all you want.
[1:48:09] Speaker 3: And if your agent is going to start doing like that,
[1:48:11] Speaker 3: like I said, with Rich Paul, then that's just where
[1:48:13] Speaker 3: it is. But at the end of the day, Remember
[1:48:16] Speaker 3: when you sign with an agency that has other clients,
[1:48:18] Speaker 3: you are just one of them. So we're going to
[1:48:20] Speaker 3: get to you when we feel like it. Unless your
[1:48:23] Speaker 3: numbers are what they are, then yeah, we're going to
[1:48:25] Speaker 3: give you that much attention.
[1:48:26] Speaker 1: I mean, that's with anything in life. It's Kush. It's Kush. Kush, man.
[1:48:35] Speaker 3: So all he's doing is just opening up more stuff
[1:48:37] Speaker 3: for other agents to now we got to hear their bullshit.
[1:48:40] Speaker 1: So that brings me to my question, though. Shouldn't my
[1:48:42] Speaker 1: agents be open and transparent and do podcasts of their own? Yes, yes, yes.
[1:48:46] Speaker 1: You know why? You know why? Yes, because.
[1:48:49] Speaker 3: You always say you want to know the truth about
[1:48:51] Speaker 3: what's going on No, no, no, it's not about the truth,
[1:48:55] Speaker 3: but you can sit here and hear how they talk
[1:48:58] Speaker 3: I mean, we know how agents are we know how
[1:49:00] Speaker 3: people it's enough.
[1:49:01] Speaker 1: It's the same thing They gave us an opportunity to
[1:49:03] Speaker 1: be in media.
[1:49:04] Speaker 3: Let's let me show this gotta say no because I
[1:49:07] Speaker 3: want to just hear what's the Basketball.
[1:49:09] Speaker 1: Part of it.
[1:49:09] Speaker 4: So you want to talk about wins?
[1:49:11] Speaker 1: I want to talk everything if you ain't trying to
[1:49:14] Speaker 1: help anybody Improve the business of basketball for agents and
[1:49:17] Speaker 1: other agents coming after you how they can be better
[1:49:19] Speaker 1: and what they change Within the business if you're not
[1:49:23] Speaker 1: talking about that, I don't want to hear you talking
[1:49:24] Speaker 1: about fucking ways at all Because you ain't never played
[1:49:27] Speaker 1: I don't want to fuck her that shit. Now. We
[1:49:28] Speaker 1: just got another opinion.
[1:49:31] Speaker 3: But they look at us just like a no, no,
[1:49:34] Speaker 3: but we can't yeah, we play I'm talking But an
[1:49:38] Speaker 3: agent can, though, because an agent be like, oh, you
[1:49:40] Speaker 3: can't get an agent. But I'm just saying, they're going
[1:49:42] Speaker 3: to feel like they can. He know his business, right?
[1:49:44] Speaker 3: Everybody feel like they can. He get to talking about
[1:49:47] Speaker 3: collective bargaining agreement and all that shit in the room.
[1:49:49] Speaker 1: I'm going to get to talking about down screens, back screens, side.
[1:49:52] Speaker 4: I'm going to get to bringing.
[1:49:53] Speaker 1: Up terminologies, basketball shit. What kind of play are we
[1:49:55] Speaker 1: going to run? Yeah, yeah, what's up? Draw me up
[1:49:57] Speaker 1: at the end of the game play, motherfucker. But isn't
[1:49:59] Speaker 1: the collective agreement everything part of basketball? All that stuff
[1:50:03] Speaker 1: is part of basketball. That's the business. That's the business.
[1:50:04] Speaker 1: So the business of basketball. They ain't got nothing to
[1:50:06] Speaker 1: do with wins and losses. That's another part to where
[1:50:07] Speaker 1: the youngest got to understand.
[1:50:09] Speaker 4: But they ain't got nothing to do with wins and losses.
[1:50:10] Speaker 1: He just said they're not good. He said the team
[1:50:12] Speaker 1: ain't good.
[1:50:13] Speaker 4: He's talking about.
[1:50:13] Speaker 3: Wins and losses and the team ain't good. Well, right
[1:50:15] Speaker 3: now is what we're telling is that's what we want
[1:50:17] Speaker 3: to know now. We want to know about what you're
[1:50:19] Speaker 3: doing to help these youngest. Like, what do you do.
[1:50:21] Speaker 1: As an agent?
[1:50:22] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I want to hear.
[1:50:23] Speaker 1: To get these players. So yeah, that's what we do.
[1:50:24] Speaker 3: That's why you made the assumption of what you made.
[1:50:27] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I want to hear.
[1:50:28] Speaker 1: That's what we want to know now. We don't care
[1:50:29] Speaker 1: about what you got to say about the game. Yeah,
[1:50:32] Speaker 1: that's what I want to hear. That's what I want
[1:50:35] Speaker 1: to hear. And that's fair. What are you doing to
[1:50:37] Speaker 1: help this 19-year-old be a better person, be a better
[1:50:39] Speaker 1: man off the floor? And that's fair.
[1:50:42] Speaker 3: But that's what we're talking about.
[1:50:44] Speaker 2: Rich Paul is not just an agent. He's an influencer,
[1:50:49] Speaker 2: a celebrity.
[1:50:50] Speaker 1: He's a celebrity. He goes with a girlfriend, wife, or something.
[1:50:53] Speaker 1: All right, well, let's talk about that.
[1:50:54] Speaker 3: If your agent is a celebrity.
[1:50:56] Speaker 4: I'm with it. I hear you, Nick.
[1:50:58] Speaker 1: But he's LeBron's friend. Of course he's going to be famous.
[1:51:01] Speaker 1: People don't know Bill Duffy or Jeff Swartz.
[1:51:02] Speaker 4: We can't find them. We can't find them.
[1:51:04] Speaker 1: But don't bring the sport into it, guys. You know
[1:51:05] Speaker 1: what I'm saying? Don't bring a specific team into it.
[1:51:09] Speaker 1: Regular agent. Y'all know who Ari Gold is, right? Can't
[1:51:12] Speaker 1: find him.
[1:51:13] Speaker 2: Oh, like, but you can't compare. So you can't box
[1:51:20] Speaker 2: somebody into something.
[1:51:22] Speaker 1: That's the thing. We put in boxes like you can't
[1:51:25] Speaker 1: do nothing else but this. That's not it. That's not
[1:51:27] Speaker 1: what we're saying.
[1:51:28] Speaker 4: That's not what we're saying.
[1:51:30] Speaker 1: Because if we was doing that, I would ask the question,
[1:51:32] Speaker 1: why didn't another agent come on the show?
[1:51:34] Speaker 4: Why we have him on three times?
[1:51:36] Speaker 1: Because he's a celebrity, though. I'm asking. I'm asking. He
[1:51:40] Speaker 1: was on here three times. We didn't have Bill. We
[1:51:43] Speaker 1: didn't have no other agent. We were opening up the
[1:51:48] Speaker 1: platform to other agents to have the same conversation. Time out, y'all.
[1:51:51] Speaker 1: Time out, y'all. That's fair. All these people are welcome
[1:51:53] Speaker 1: to come to Gil's. But they haven't. But they haven't.
[1:51:57] Speaker 1: Have y'all extended the invitation? We didn't extend the invitation.
[1:51:59] Speaker 1: So how the fuck he get her then? He asked
[1:52:01] Speaker 1: to come on. He wanted to come on three times.
[1:52:03] Speaker 1: Y'all could have said no. But you chose not to.
[1:52:06] Speaker 1: If Bill Duffy said he wanted to come on the show,
[1:52:08] Speaker 1: we would say yes. But he didn't. So whose fault
[1:52:11] Speaker 1: is that? That's my point. So the way we do
[1:52:13] Speaker 1: business is anybody that called up and wanted to come
[1:52:16] Speaker 1: on the.
[1:52:16] Speaker 4: Show, we say yeah.
[1:52:18] Speaker 1: Not anybody.
[1:52:18] Speaker 4: So therefore.
[1:52:20] Speaker 1: Not anybody. My point exactly. You got to have a
[1:52:22] Speaker 1: resume and credentials. My point exactly. You got to have
[1:52:24] Speaker 1: a resume and credentials. My point exactly. You got to
[1:52:26] Speaker 1: have a resume and credentials. He bailed this motherfucker three times.
[1:52:28] Speaker 1: I'm Rich Paul, though. And?
[1:52:32] Speaker 4: I knew him before he was rich.
[1:52:34] Speaker 1: He was shorty. But I'm not damn rich, Paul. This
[1:52:37] Speaker 1: is shorty. But he's now rich, Paul. Is he good
[1:52:39] Speaker 1: at his job? Yes. The one thing I agree. We're
[1:52:42] Speaker 1: not taking anything from him. He's good at his job.
[1:52:43] Speaker 2: I'm not saying that, but I'm just saying he's somebody
[1:52:46] Speaker 2: people look at it in the same way.
[1:52:48] Speaker 1: So give us that then. For sure. I'm not going
[1:52:51] Speaker 1: to call him Diddy. No, so give us. You just
[1:52:54] Speaker 1: called him Diddy. Nah.
[1:52:57] Speaker 3: But he's in the front.
[1:53:04] Speaker 1: Diddy was a producer that's in the front. So give
[1:53:07] Speaker 1: us the game on how you manipulate these gems and
[1:53:10] Speaker 1: these presidents of these teams, the finagle to get your
[1:53:13] Speaker 1: guys in these places. Tell us some of these things.
[1:53:16] Speaker 1: I don't want to hear you talking about the Lakers
[1:53:17] Speaker 1: not contenders right now when you got guys on the team.
[1:53:19] Speaker 1: That's what he did on this podcast.
[1:53:21] Speaker 4: And they're number three in the NBA.
[1:53:24] Speaker 3: But he also should be able to give his processions.
[1:53:28] Speaker 1: He was available to come on. Tim Hardaway. But give
[1:53:33] Speaker 1: us both. If he wanted to come on again, Tim Hardaway.
[1:53:36] Speaker 1: I'm rolling with that. You're not bringing Tim Hardaway back on.
[1:53:41] Speaker 6: I'll give you this. He's on the show with Max Kellerman, right?
[1:53:45] Speaker 6: Max Kellerman got kicked off of Stephen A. Smith's show
[1:53:47] Speaker 6: because he didn't play basketball. He didn't play sports.
[1:53:52] Speaker 5: According to Max Kellerman, he got kicked off the show
[1:53:54] Speaker 5: because he was putting Stephen A.
[1:53:55] Speaker 1: In packs routinely. 100%. He was Muhammad Ali. But this
[1:53:58] Speaker 1: is what I'm saying.
[1:53:59] Speaker 6: When it actually happened, it was, well, Max doesn't have
[1:54:02] Speaker 6: the resume and the credentials to talk. So we should
[1:54:06] Speaker 6: say ESPN should talk. So look, them two are getting
[1:54:08] Speaker 6: together to do what they said they couldn't do. They
[1:54:12] Speaker 6: both getting together and saying, let's talk about what they
[1:54:14] Speaker 6: say we can't because we didn't ever play.
[1:54:16] Speaker 1: Guess what we're all doing? We're all here talking about
[1:54:19] Speaker 1: this game that we played. But nobody else played on TV.
[1:54:22] Speaker 1: So if we were to talk about music.
[1:54:25] Speaker 4: Right, right. If we were to all talk about music.
[1:54:28] Speaker 1: I made music. Uh-huh.
[1:54:30] Speaker 4: So I can talk about the process of music.
[1:54:32] Speaker 1: But I'm the manager. But if you ain't never made music...
[1:54:35] Speaker 1: I'm the manager. I'm just in there. The other guys
[1:54:37] Speaker 1: was like, what he talking about? He don't know. He
[1:54:39] Speaker 1: ain't never been in the zoo. Well, Stephen A. can
[1:54:42] Speaker 1: talk some sports there.
[1:54:44] Speaker 6: That's a lot of people feel the same way because
[1:54:45] Speaker 6: that's how he felt about Maxx. He felt like that
[1:54:48] Speaker 6: about Max.
[1:54:49] Speaker 1: The same way they felt about Skip. Stick in your lane.
[1:54:52] Speaker 1: Whatever you do, stay in your lane. So is that
[1:54:55] Speaker 1: what you're saying? Stick in your lane?
[1:54:57] Speaker 3: Whatever you do, stay in your lane.
[1:55:00] Speaker 1: Or if you're going to talk about the game, talk
[1:55:02] Speaker 1: about what you do. Yes, that's all. That's my point exactly, right?
[1:55:07] Speaker 1: That's fair.
[1:55:07] Speaker 2: Speak on Asian shit. Listen, speak on Asian shit. Speak
[1:55:12] Speaker 2: on the culture of basketball. Speak on, but not wins
[1:55:14] Speaker 2: and losses, who's good and who's not.
[1:55:16] Speaker 1: What does Stephen A do? But isn't that a part
[1:55:17] Speaker 1: of the culture of basketball? He's a journalist. He's a journalist?
[1:55:20] Speaker 1: So you talk about journalism. He's journalism? To what? So
[1:55:25] Speaker 1: you just journal. So Stephen A., you just journal.
[1:55:28] Speaker 2: Skip Bayless, what do you do?
[1:55:32] Speaker 1: Journalist. Stephen A., you type. You just be a typewriter.
[1:55:36] Speaker 2: You write type. That's not journalism. That's what we're saying.
[1:55:38] Speaker 2: Save your fucking land. That's what we're saying. You don't
[1:55:40] Speaker 2: do shit that resolves sports. If you ain't did it,
[1:55:42] Speaker 2: don't do it. That's what a journalist writes about sports.
[1:55:45] Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no. On the newspaper. That's what
[1:55:47] Speaker 1: we're saying. If you tell a motherfucker nothing, you can't
[1:55:49] Speaker 1: step out your box. You see, and Stephen, Skip, type.
[1:55:54] Speaker 1: Type journal? Newspaper? 40 years.
[1:55:56] Speaker 2: Say the newspaper. Don't put your face nowhere. If you
[1:55:58] Speaker 2: ever come out and say anything, your ass going back
[1:56:01] Speaker 2: to typewriting.
[1:56:02] Speaker 1: Are any of you guys still with agents? Typewriting. Like
[1:56:05] Speaker 1: after basketball? No, no, no. Brandon. No, no, no. You
[1:56:09] Speaker 1: shoot hoops. No, no, no. Shut up and dribble. Shut
[1:56:13] Speaker 1: up and dribble.
[1:56:15] Speaker 3: Hold on, so after basketball, right, you guys.
[1:56:21] Speaker 1: Get done with your agent, right? You guys go separate ways.
[1:56:24] Speaker 1: Do you guys get a manager or a marketing company?
[1:56:27] Speaker 1: So I transitioned to trying to coach in front of
[1:56:29] Speaker 1: all this stuff, so my agent was helping me. I
[1:56:31] Speaker 1: had the same plan when I got done. I was
[1:56:33] Speaker 1: trying to transition to the inside of it. So he
[1:56:35] Speaker 1: was helping me with that because he had the relationships.
[1:56:37] Speaker 3: So the business that we're in now, I think the
[1:56:40] Speaker 3: business that we all do right now on the couch, right?
[1:56:41] Speaker 1: The best thing for us to do is to be
[1:56:44] Speaker 1: able to get a manager. Because of what we do.
[1:56:47] Speaker 1: Because everything that we do now, right?
[1:56:49] Speaker 3: Everything that we do now in our lives are outside
[1:56:51] Speaker 3: of is basketball, right?
[1:56:53] Speaker 1: It's marketing, right? So that's what I'm saying.
[1:56:56] Speaker 3: Aging is good for it. When you're coming in young, boom, boom, boom,
[1:56:59] Speaker 3: you learn everything, get you right. Then after that, I
[1:57:01] Speaker 3: think the biggest thing is getting your lawyer and then
[1:57:03] Speaker 3: you get a marketing or a manager company that can
[1:57:06] Speaker 3: help you push you worldwide.
[1:57:07] Speaker 1: Right? Like worldwide. I mean, that's just my advice. The
[1:57:12] Speaker 1: thing you talk about is entertainment or film. That's what
[1:57:15] Speaker 1: Ray Allen told me. That's why I'm talking about it. Yeah?
[1:57:18] Speaker 1: You know where I got it. If you want to
[1:57:20] Speaker 1: be a coach... I'm not saying it's not bad. I'm
[1:57:22] Speaker 1: just saying. Ray Allen told me that to my.
[1:57:24] Speaker 4: I know exactly where you're coming from with it.
[1:57:25] Speaker 1: So... But I'm just saying, you know, since we're talking
[1:57:27] Speaker 1: about agents. But I do agree with y'all.
[1:57:30] Speaker 3: If agents are going to do shows, they should talk
[1:57:32] Speaker 3: about what their business and then talk about the game.
[1:57:34] Speaker 1: But you should just train because you can't talk about
[1:57:36] Speaker 1: what you did with play sports. So you go train
[1:57:39] Speaker 1: some motherfuckers at 24 Hour Fitness. You too. I did.
[1:57:42] Speaker 1: You said we going to train? I did. That's what
[1:57:44] Speaker 1: you can't talk about. You just got to train. I'm
[1:57:46] Speaker 1: not training nobody. I'm not training nobody.
[1:57:49] Speaker 2: They can't do nothing outside what their fucking job is.
[1:57:52] Speaker 1: You know what my job is now, Nick.
[1:57:53] Speaker 4: Whatever your job is, that's what you do.
[1:57:55] Speaker 1: Hey, Nick, you know what my job is now? No,
[1:57:57] Speaker 1: what you are. I'm a gigolo. You can't be that. Oh,
[1:58:02] Speaker 1: my God. You know what I should be talking about? No. Work. No.
[1:58:06] Speaker 1: All day long.
[1:58:07] Speaker 4: You can't talk about that.
[1:58:08] Speaker 1: I can. I'm a gigolo. expert. But what we've seen,
[1:58:12] Speaker 1: all we've seen you do is hoop. Fucking train.
[1:58:14] Speaker 4: I'm like, don't play that. You can now see.
[1:58:18] Speaker 2: I see you at district training, motherfucker.
[1:58:20] Speaker 1: I can show the work. I can move with the work.
[1:58:22] Speaker 1: I can go out here.
[1:58:23] Speaker 6: And show you how to motherfucker gigolo.
[1:58:25] Speaker 1: Just like he said, sing the song.
[1:58:27] Speaker 3: That Nick Cannon song.
[1:58:30] Speaker 1: I'm a gigolo.
[1:58:32] Speaker 3: I'm a gigolo spinning lots of dough.
[1:58:35] Speaker 1: Hey, Nick Cannon. He right.
[1:58:37] Speaker 4: We've gone off the rails.
[1:58:38] Speaker 1: Let's come back. We have one more thing to discuss.
[1:58:40] Speaker 1: For what? Come on, man.
[1:58:41] Speaker 4: For what? It's 1.30 now. It's 1.30. We do.
[1:58:45] Speaker 1: It'll be quick. My bad. It'll be quick.
[1:58:47] Speaker 4: We don't want to talk about them.
[1:58:49] Speaker 1: Go ahead, man. We're talking basketball. Orlando Magic.
[1:58:51] Speaker 4: For what?
[1:58:51] Speaker 1: We have to fulfill our quota for the day. Let's
[1:58:53] Speaker 1: talk hoop, man. Just a little bit of hoop and
[1:58:55] Speaker 1: we'll be on our way. Let's cover the bases, man.
[1:58:57] Speaker 1: A little hoop and we'll be on our way.
[1:58:59] Speaker 5: So interstate battle for the NBA Cup opener between the
[1:59:02] Speaker 5: top seed of Magic and the fourth seed of Heat
[1:59:04] Speaker 5: Orlando was without Fonz Wagner, also known.
[1:59:06] Speaker 1: As Waggy Waggy.
[1:59:08] Speaker 5: Suffered a high ankle sprain Sunday during their loss to
[1:59:10] Speaker 5: the Knicks, but they did have Paolo Bancaro back in
[1:59:12] Speaker 5: the lineup for his third straight game after missing the
[1:59:14] Speaker 5: previous 10 with a groin injury. The day after getting
[1:59:17] Speaker 5: fined for unnecessarily beating O.J. Ananobi with the ball, Desmond
[1:59:20] Speaker 5: Bain decided to ball out to recoup some of that
[1:59:23] Speaker 5: bread to help send the magic to Cincinnati. Let's take
[1:59:25] Speaker 5: a look at the highlights quickly and then we'll be
[1:59:26] Speaker 5: on our merry way. It was enjoyable basketball ladies and gentlemen.
[1:59:29] Speaker 5: Two games last night. Shout out to Amazon Prime, a very,
[1:59:32] Speaker 5: very premium offering. That's what the game was on there? Yeah,
[1:59:35] Speaker 5: they had the two games on Prime last night for
[1:59:37] Speaker 5: the NBA Cup. He jumped out to a 15-0 lead
[1:59:41] Speaker 5: to start the game. But the Magic rally to pull
[1:59:44] Speaker 5: them off, outscoring Miami 39-27 in the second quarter. Norm
[1:59:48] Speaker 5: Powell led the Heat with 21.7 boards. Tyler Hero had
[1:59:50] Speaker 5: 20 and 7 rebounds. Andrew Wiggins and Bam Adebayo chipping
[1:59:54] Speaker 5: in 19 apiece. But the story of this game was
[1:59:58] Speaker 5: Desmond Bain. Bain tied his season high with 37 points,
[2:00:01] Speaker 5: going 14-24 from the field, 6 of 9 from distance,
[2:00:05] Speaker 5: along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
[2:00:08] Speaker 1: Man, nice move. Nice move. Hammer time, as they say. Okay.
[2:00:15] Speaker 1: Good defense. Hey. What is that? Anthony, I know black.
[2:00:18] Speaker 1: Vert dribble? I mean, vert dunk? Fuck it.
[2:00:21] Speaker 5: Like I said, Desmond Bay doing his thing. Season high,
[2:00:24] Speaker 5: 37 points.
[2:00:25] Speaker 1: Nice. Good defense. Damn. In the game. 15 of that
[2:00:34] Speaker 1: 37 came in the fourth quarter. Can you see the
[2:00:38] Speaker 1: first play? Can you see the first play? The hero move?
[2:00:41] Speaker 5: Give us one second, Swaggy. These are things that we're doing.
[2:00:45] Speaker 5: Hold on, let me read this first. 15-37 came in
[2:00:47] Speaker 5: the fourth quarter. Bain dismantled the heat defense with a
[2:00:49] Speaker 5: variety of buckets. Jalen Suggs had 20 on 17-13 shooting.
[2:00:52] Speaker 5: Paolo Bancaro, 18-7 boards. Wendell Carter Jr. put up a double-double.
[2:00:56] Speaker 5: 14-10 Magic got their third win over the Heat at
[2:00:58] Speaker 5: home this season. Miami dropping their fourth straight game to
[2:01:01] Speaker 5: get eliminated from the Cup. So before we move on,
[2:01:05] Speaker 5: can we show that first play for Swaggy, please?
[2:01:07] Speaker 1: I'm sorry. The Swaggy wants to stay here. I did
[2:01:08] Speaker 1: it wrong. Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Okay. That's it. I thought
[2:01:13] Speaker 1: he ran with it like Giannis that one. Oh, no, no, no. Okay.
[2:01:17] Speaker 1: That was a nice move. That was a nice move.
[2:01:19] Speaker 5: So, after the game, Bane talked about the extra financial
[2:01:21] Speaker 5: motivation he had to advance to the semis due to
[2:01:24] Speaker 5: the $ 35, 000 fine he got from the league for firing
[2:01:27] Speaker 5: a ball off Ananobi.
[2:01:28] Speaker 10: Oh, it's huge, man. I mean, I just lost $ 35, 000. So,
[2:01:31] Speaker 10: I got to go get it back somehow. You know
[2:01:36] Speaker 10: what I'm saying?
[2:01:36] Speaker 1: But, yeah. I'm excited.
[2:01:39] Speaker 10: Great opportunity for us to play some meaningful basketball early
[2:01:42] Speaker 10: in the season. So I know the group's excited.
[2:01:46] Speaker 5: And for those who haven't seen it, there's a video
[2:01:48] Speaker 5: of the... The lip reading from him and Ananobi from that.
[2:01:53] Speaker 1: Why did you do that? I was falling out of bounds.
[2:01:59] Speaker 1: I said, no, you wasn't. No, you wasn't. Stop lying.
[2:02:03] Speaker 1: I was going out of bounds.
[2:02:05] Speaker 5: So look at this Magic quickly. Magic have a solid
[2:02:09] Speaker 5: young core. They got two stars in Paolo Bain, Carroll,
[2:02:12] Speaker 5: Franz Wagner. This is some strong young talent and a
[2:02:15] Speaker 5: steady score in Bain. When you look at this team,
[2:02:20] Speaker 5: They haven't won a playoff series since 2010.
[2:02:22] Speaker 4: Bam.
[2:02:23] Speaker 1: Since when? 2010. Took the Cavs to seven in 2024.
[2:02:26] Speaker 5: Found themselves on the wrong side of a gentleman's sweep.
[2:02:30] Speaker 3: Was that the White House last year, or was he
[2:02:32] Speaker 3: still there?
[2:02:34] Speaker 1: 2010? 2010. That's my rookie year. I was still in
[2:02:38] Speaker 1: the league. Shit. 2010. They were good back then. They
[2:02:41] Speaker 1: went to the finals that year. No, that was what?
[2:02:44] Speaker 11: Yeah, with Courtney Lee. I think that was Courtney Lee's
[2:02:46] Speaker 11: like rookie year. I think that was Courtney Lee's like
[2:02:47] Speaker 11: rookie year. They broke the team up right at that.
[2:02:48] Speaker 11: So they went to the conference finals that year. They
[2:02:51] Speaker 11: went to the finals the previous year, 2009. Yeah, I
[2:02:53] Speaker 11: was about to say. Dwight Howard won defensive player of
[2:02:56] Speaker 11: the year. Okay, yeah, so I had just got drafted.
[2:02:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, I watched it. I remember that.
[2:03:01] Speaker 5: I have not won a playoff series since 2010. How
[2:03:03] Speaker 5: much faith do you have in the Magic to win
[2:03:04] Speaker 5: a playoff series with this roster?
[2:03:07] Speaker 1: I'm done. Don't sleep on this, Orlando. They're going to
[2:03:09] Speaker 1: win for sure.
[2:03:09] Speaker 5: They can win a playoff series? They're going to win
[2:03:10] Speaker 5: for sure. We're currently fourth.
[2:03:12] Speaker 1: Win a playoff series? Yeah. Win a series. A series, yeah.
[2:03:15] Speaker 1: Easter conference, just one. Getting back to the finals and
[2:03:18] Speaker 1: all that. We're not having a finals talk. Ain't nobody
[2:03:21] Speaker 1: going to Disney World. We're currently fourth in the Easter
[2:03:24] Speaker 1: conference right now. Don't nobody want to go to Universal.
[2:03:25] Speaker 1: Don't nobody want to do all that family shit.
[2:03:27] Speaker 4: They're going to be playing.
[2:03:28] Speaker 1: They do want to do the family stuff, but I'm
[2:03:30] Speaker 1: just saying. Some days is over. Universal this weekend, Express Pass.
[2:03:34] Speaker 1: The way to go. I'm just letting y'all know. Ain't
[2:03:36] Speaker 1: nobody going down there. Mario World. I'll play Chicago. Universal
[2:03:40] Speaker 1: in Orlando now has four different things. They can beat Chicago.
[2:03:43] Speaker 3: First of all, if they meet Boston, they losing to Boston.
[2:03:46] Speaker 5: So the Cleveland Cavaliers are currently seventh in Adam Silver's history.
[2:03:49] Speaker 1: How much you want to bet? How much you want
[2:03:51] Speaker 1: to bet? Let's bet a front nine, Kenya. Let's bet
[2:03:54] Speaker 1: a front nine. Top ten in the East. Bet it.
[2:03:59] Speaker 5: You got the Pistons on the top spot, 19-5, followed
[2:04:02] Speaker 5: by the Knicks. Celtics are third, Magic fourth, Raptors fifth,
[2:04:05] Speaker 5: Sixers are sixth, Cavs are seventh, Heat are eighth, Hawks are.
[2:04:09] Speaker 1: Ninth, and Bucs are fourth. They can win the first round.
[2:04:15] Speaker 1: They can win the first round. If they see Boston
[2:04:19] Speaker 1: first round, no way. Jalen Brown taking them out by himself.
[2:04:21] Speaker 2: They wouldn't be playing them because they'd both be like
[2:04:23] Speaker 2: three and four. Or four or five.
[2:04:26] Speaker 1: I mean, they can beat a four or five.
[2:04:28] Speaker 4: They got a damn record, man. 115-9, 115-10, man.
[2:04:31] Speaker 1: That's true. You know how hard it is to win
[2:04:35] Speaker 1: in Boston? They can beat the Sixers. Bum-ass Cavs, seven.

[2:04:53] Speaker 1: doing his thing out there. He got the squad. He

[2:05:23] Speaker 5: averaging 20 pieces.
