The Start of The 2nd Round of the NBA Playoffs ELECTRIFIES Gil's Arena as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew react to the thrilling end of the NBA Playoffs opening round and break down the fresh start for the teams moving on to Round 2. They tip things off by reacting to Anthony Edwards & The Minnesota Timberwolves stunning the San Antonio Spurs in the first game of their 2nd Round series with a win on the road and give Ant-Man their respect for playing through a knee injury to power his team to a huge win. They also react to Victor Wembanyama struggling offensively in the worst postseason game of his short career and give their take on Mitch Johnson's decision to forgo a timeout during the critical final possession. They then flip things over to the Eastern Conference as they react to the New York Knicks blowout win over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of their NBA Playoff series and break down how Jalen Brunson, Karl Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges looked unstoppable in a crucial Game 1 win. They also discuss what the Knicks did to slow down Joel Embiid and debate how much blame the quick turnaround from series to series impacted the 76ers' sluggish start. Next, they react to the Los Angeles Lakers finally finishing off the Houston Rockets in Game 6 and debate what a playoff series win without Luka Doncic means for LeBron James' legacy as he showed Father Time he's no match for the King one more time, before previewing their series against the favorite OKC Thunder where the Purple & Gold will look to avoid the brooms. Finally, they react to the Boston Celtics' stunning collapse against the 76ers as they Eastern Conference favorites blew a 3-1 lead to the Sixers with Jayson Tatum sidelined in Game 7 and give their take on Jaylen Brown's public crashout where the superstar spoke on his season and might've given a sign of things to come in what could be a turbulent offseason in Boston. [0:03] Speaker 1: Welcome back to Gil's Arena presented by Underdog.
[0:09] Speaker 2: It don't translate. I can tell you that shit.
[0:12] Speaker 3: Oh, no, it translates.
[0:12] Speaker 2: No, it don't. You got to get on that grass, bro.
[0:16] Speaker 2: You got to get on that grass, get off that turf.
[0:18] Speaker 2: Trust me.
[0:19] Speaker 3: You say you go hit the ball two times a week?
[0:22] Speaker 3: I'm a shooter, so that putt game, that's all me
[0:24] Speaker 3: right there. That's what I do. For sure. That's what
[0:27] Speaker 3: I do. I work on the long ball.
[0:30] Speaker 4: He knows. He's been there. Long balling.
[0:33] Speaker 3: He's done watched.
[0:34] Speaker 2: So when y'all did play, what was his game?
[0:37] Speaker 5: Brandon was in last.
[0:39] Speaker 6: I was in last? I was in last? What did
[0:43] Speaker 6: his game look like? I ain't never seen him switch. Bro,
[0:46] Speaker 6: this was like five, four months ago. It took us
[0:48] Speaker 6: four hours to play a front nine.
[0:50] Speaker 2: So, somebody asked me, what does his swing look like?
[0:52] Speaker 2: I ain't never seen him swing a club.
[0:54] Speaker 3: It ain't like that. It look like Paul's. Paul Pierce.
[0:57] Speaker 3: Look like Paul Pierce's swing, okay? You don't... Paul said
[1:00] Speaker 3: he plays.
[1:02] Speaker 7: You.
[1:02] Speaker 3: Let him do this. You let him do this. You
[1:04] Speaker 3: his teacher. Play with etiquette. I'm just saying. You let
[1:06] Speaker 3: him do this. You let him come up here.
[1:08] Speaker 2: So, JC, you seen Gil swing a club?
[1:10] Speaker 4: So, honestly, in your honest opinion... Mr. Miyagi.
[1:13] Speaker 1: See?
[1:14] Speaker 3: All right.
[1:15] Speaker 4: I told you. Mr. Miyagi.
[1:16] Speaker 2: I take it for people that know how to play.
[1:17] Speaker 3: Paul Pierce can beat both of them. You his teacher.
[1:20] Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
[1:21] Speaker 3: You his teacher.
[1:23] Speaker 4: You his teacher. He could be both of them? No. Definitely.
[1:28] Speaker 4: You said he could be both of them? A little?
[1:30] Speaker 3: A little?
[1:31] Speaker 4: A little?
[1:37] Speaker 3: On his golf course. I just thought he was talking
[1:41] Speaker 3: about Chin Chin, my favorite reference. Hey, let's go, man.
[1:43] Speaker 3: That's neither here nor there.
[1:44] Speaker 4: I beat him by a damn 30 strokes while he
[1:47] Speaker 4: was cheating. The last time we played. He did. I know. Mm.
[1:53] Speaker 3: I know. He did. It was embarrassing. On that note,
[1:55] Speaker 3: we got some basketball to discuss.
[1:57] Speaker 4: It was that Atlanta, it was that Atlanta, it was
[1:59] Speaker 4: that Atlanta-New York.
[2:00] Speaker 3: Game at the end, that game, that game, that last game,
[2:02] Speaker 3: that was that.
[2:03] Speaker 2: He had just started?
[2:04] Speaker 4: No.
[2:05] Speaker 3: He'd been working with him for at least three months.
[2:08] Speaker 3: You know how long it take you to be good
[2:09] Speaker 3: at golf? Like, mm.
[2:12] Speaker 4: A lifetime. Okay.
[2:15] Speaker 3: You don't got enough life to be good at golf. No,
[2:18] Speaker 3: we don't have enough.
[2:19] Speaker 4: You don't got enough.
[2:21] Speaker 3: You ain't tight. Well, happy Cinco de Mayo to everybody. Oh,
[2:25] Speaker 3: it is Cinco de Mayo.
[2:27] Speaker 4: You should know, that's your people.
[2:30] Speaker 1: Go celebrate with your people. But this is Gills Arena
[2:33] Speaker 1: presented by Underdog. I'm merely a host, Josiah Johnson. We
[2:37] Speaker 1: got NBA legend and Arc Raiders most wanted Gilbert J.
[2:40] Speaker 3: Arenas. Yes!
[2:42] Speaker 4: Back here with us in Gil's Arena. Man, I've been
[2:47] Speaker 4: a man.
[2:47] Speaker 3: Ankle monitor? No, we good? Who? I was just making sure.
[2:50] Speaker 3: You got in trouble? I was just making sure.
[2:52] Speaker 4: Casey, laugh hard. What'd you do?
[2:54] Speaker 3: I ain't saying no names. See you the next Gil.
[2:58] Speaker 1: We got NBA champion, the world's swaggy pink nigga.
[3:02] Speaker 3: Back here with.
[3:05] Speaker 4: Us.
[3:05] Speaker 1: Representing tough crowd in the car carrying country club member,
[3:07] Speaker 1: we got Mr. B. Brandon Jennings. Play with etiquette. Ladies
[3:12] Speaker 1: and gentlemen, play with etiquette. Seems like that goes without saying.
[3:16] Speaker 1: Always play with etiquette. But you got to let them know.
[3:19] Speaker 3: Uh-oh.
[3:19] Speaker 4: You got some gloves.
[3:23] Speaker 3: Ended up getting another one yesterday from Brother Mr.
[3:27] Speaker 4: Kenyon Lee. Kenyon Lee. Yes, it was a group activity.
[3:32] Speaker 4: That's how nice I am. That's how nice I am.
[3:34] Speaker 3: Look at that. I'm collecting golf clubs.
[3:36] Speaker 4: Go ahead, though.
[3:37] Speaker 2: You made some good shots. You made some good shots yesterday.
[3:39] Speaker 2: I made some good putts as well and some good shots,
[3:42] Speaker 2: but it was a group activity and my group lost.
[3:45] Speaker 3: Do you talk when you're playing?
[3:47] Speaker 2: Do I talk?
[3:47] Speaker 3: Talk.
[3:48] Speaker 2: Like what you mean?
[3:49] Speaker 3: Have conversation.
[3:49] Speaker 2: While somebody's putting?
[3:52] Speaker 3: Yeah, period.
[3:53] Speaker 4: Try not to.
[3:53] Speaker 3: Oh, see? Etiquette.
[3:55] Speaker 4: Try not to.
[3:56] Speaker 1: This side of the couch, we got the distinguished gentleman
[3:58] Speaker 1: from Oak Cliff. Former number one pick, Canyon Martin, back
[4:02] Speaker 1: here with us. You will not catch him talking on
[4:06] Speaker 1: the golf course.
[4:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, no, not when somebody's swinging.
[4:09] Speaker 3: I try to... Not even cough?
[4:11] Speaker 4: Yeah, no, you try to play the right way.
[4:12] Speaker 3: Okay, play with etiquette.
[4:13] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all.
[4:14] Speaker 2: You try to respect.
[4:16] Speaker 4: Nah.
[4:17] Speaker 2: Because you ain't going to always play with people you know, right?
[4:20] Speaker 2: So if you're doing that shit with them, then you're
[4:22] Speaker 2: going to do it with people you don't know. I'm talking.
[4:28] Speaker 3: I got to ask questions.
[4:28] Speaker 2: That's why it takes so long.
[4:31] Speaker 1: And last but not least, the man they call Cemetery Larry,
[4:34] Speaker 1: NCAA champion of the world, Dr. Rashad McCants, Ph.D. Living
[4:42] Speaker 1: a scholarly life. That was easy. We got a lot
[4:45] Speaker 1: to discuss on the basketball front. Here's what's cracking in
[4:48] Speaker 1: Gil's arena today. Ant-Man and the Wolf came into San
[4:52] Speaker 1: Antonio and stole game one. What did Minnesota expose about
[4:56] Speaker 1: Wimby and the Spurs? The Knicks made history with their
[4:59] Speaker 1: blowout win over the Sixers in Game 1. Was Philly
[5:03] Speaker 1: just fatigued from their Game 7 win, or are the
[5:05] Speaker 1: Sixers cooked? And LeBron set another record in the Lakers'
[5:08] Speaker 1: series-clinching road win at the Rockets. But does the Purple
[5:11] Speaker 1: and Gold have any hope in Round 2 against a
[5:14] Speaker 1: defending chance? But before we get into all that, as always,
[5:16] Speaker 1: this show is brought to you by Underdog. Underdog's available
[5:18] Speaker 1: in most states, including Texas, California, and Florida. New customers
[5:21] Speaker 1: get $ 50 in bonus entries when they play just $ 5.

[5:30] Speaker 1: with code GILL. And if you can't watch this show
[5:32] Speaker 1: live with us on YouTube, we got audio versions available
[5:34] Speaker 1: on Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your podcasts from.
[5:37] Speaker 3: They still do that code GILL shit?
[5:38] Speaker 7: Huh?
[5:38] Speaker 3: They still do code GILL?
[5:39] Speaker 1: They're still using code GILL when they download the Underdog app.
[5:42] Speaker 7: I ain't seen you in a minute.
[5:43] Speaker 3: Hell, I don't know. I was on, what do they
[5:47] Speaker 3: call that? Load managing.
[5:50] Speaker 4: Load managing.
[5:51] Speaker 3: Load managing, you know what I mean?
[5:55] Speaker 1: Trust the process. We got a lot of playoff basketball
[5:58] Speaker 1: to get into. Let's start in the Western Conference where
[6:00] Speaker 1: the Spurs and Wolves met Monday night for game one
[6:02] Speaker 1: of their Western semi-series. San Antonio had been chilling since
[6:06] Speaker 1: hitting the Blazers with the gentlemen's sweep last Tuesday while
[6:08] Speaker 1: the Wolves were riding high after knocking out Joker and
[6:10] Speaker 1: the Nuggets in six games. without Ant-Man, Dante DiVincenzo, or
[6:14] Speaker 1: Io DeSumo. But they did have Jada McDaniels, who dropped
[6:17] Speaker 1: a career-high 32 points in the series clinch and win.
[6:20] Speaker 1: Minnesota is the first team in NBA history to win
[6:22] Speaker 1: a playoff game while missing three or more players who
[6:24] Speaker 1: averaged 10-plus points per game in that series. So Wolves
[6:27] Speaker 1: got some good news before Game 1, with Ant-Man making
[6:29] Speaker 1: his return just nine days after suffering a hyperextended knee
[6:33] Speaker 1: and bone bruise. Wimmy delivered a historic defensive performance, but
[6:38] Speaker 1: the Wolves came through in the clutch.
[6:39] Speaker 3: To steal the win. Let's take a look at the
[6:41] Speaker 3: highlights if we can.
[6:42] Speaker 4: Please.
[6:44] Speaker 1: Game was back and forth in the first half. Both
[6:47] Speaker 1: teams fighting for each and every bucket. Ant-Man did not start,
[6:51] Speaker 1: but he made his presence felt right away. Spurs jumped
[6:54] Speaker 1: out to an early seven-point lead, but the Wolves responded
[6:58] Speaker 1: to go up one after the first frame. Like I said,
[7:01] Speaker 1: Anthony Edwards did not start, but made his presence felt.
[7:03] Speaker 1: He had 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting in 21.
[7:06] Speaker 3: Five minutes of action.
[7:08] Speaker 1: Julius Randle finished with a game-high 21 points and also
[7:11] Speaker 1: had 10 boards. Jaden McDaniels had 16 and 5 boards.
[7:14] Speaker 1: Terrence Shannon Jr., who started in place of Ant-Man, had
[7:16] Speaker 1: another solid game. 16 points and 5 rebounds. And Mike
[7:20] Speaker 1: Conley Jr. got his third straight start, finished with 12
[7:22] Speaker 1: points and 6 assists. He was 4 for 7 from
[7:24] Speaker 1: 3 and 24 minutes. Spurs had 8 players, scoring double figures. Wimby,
[7:29] Speaker 1: dominant defensively, but struggled on the offensive side of the ball.
[7:32] Speaker 1: Aliens still messed around, dropped a triple-double, finished with 11 points,
[7:35] Speaker 1: 15 rebounds, and an NBA playoff record, 12 blocks. Women's
[7:40] Speaker 1: third player in NBA history with a playoff triple-double, which
[7:42] Speaker 1: includes blocks, joining Hakeem and Andrew Bynum. However, he was
[7:46] Speaker 1: just 5 for 17 from the field, 0 for 8
[7:48] Speaker 1: from distance, scored just 5 points in the second half.
[7:51] Speaker 1: Dylan Harper was big off the bench, leading the Spurs
[7:53] Speaker 1: with a team-high 18 points on 7 of 13 shooting.
[7:56] Speaker 1: Devon Castle and Julian Champagny both had 17. Castle fouled out, though.
[8:00] Speaker 1: A little over three minutes left in the game. The
[8:03] Speaker 1: Aaron Fox only 10 points on 5 of 14 shooting.
[8:05] Speaker 1: Had six of six and six turnovers as well. Ant-Man
[8:08] Speaker 1: took over early in the fourth. Scoring 11 in the
[8:11] Speaker 1: first five minutes to help get the Wolves back on top.
[8:14] Speaker 1: Wolves were up nine with under five minutes remaining. Still
[8:17] Speaker 1: up seven with under two minutes remaining. Spurs tried to rally.
[8:20] Speaker 3: San Antonio cut the Devons to two after Devin Vassell stole.
[8:23] Speaker 1: Ant-Man's inbound pass. And Harper raced down on the court
[8:26] Speaker 1: with a wide open dunk with 37 seconds remaining. Then
[8:29] Speaker 1: Julius Randle missed a jumper on the Wolves' next possession.
[8:31] Speaker 1: Spurs had one last chance to dance. Mitch Johnson opted
[8:35] Speaker 1: not to call a timeout. Julian Champagny went for the win,
[8:39] Speaker 1: but missed the three at the buzzer to give the
[8:42] Speaker 1: Wolves a win. So after the game, Winby and Ant-Man
[8:45] Speaker 1: had this reaction to the Wolves stealing game one and
[8:48] Speaker 1: home court advantage. It's a lot on me because obviously
[8:52] Speaker 1: my game wasn't good, wasn't feeling good tonight. And that's...
[8:57] Speaker 1: where the team is going to look for me, you know. And,
[9:02] Speaker 1: you know, if I had been better, if the offensive
[9:05] Speaker 1: leaders of our team had been better, it would have
[9:07] Speaker 1: been different.
[9:09] Speaker 4: What is it about these playoff environments on the road
[9:13] Speaker 4: that kind of, you know, sets you off and really
[9:17] Speaker 4: motivates you?
[9:18] Speaker 8: I mean, everybody in the arena is against us. Yeah,
[9:20] Speaker 8: I think that's the best thing about it. Like, you
[9:22] Speaker 8: start on the road. Everybody got on pink, blue, and
[9:28] Speaker 8: whatever color shirts there is, chanting, go Spurs, go, and
[9:31] Speaker 8: doing all that. And, you know, I'm with Minnesota. Like,
[9:35] Speaker 8: I got Minnesota back at all times. So I'm out
[9:37] Speaker 8: there with my brothers, and we're going to war.
[9:39] Speaker 1: So, Sean, we're going to start with you. I know
[9:43] Speaker 1: you're a big Wimpy guy, big Spurs guy. I love
[9:46] Speaker 1: this dude. Biggest takeaways from the Wolves' game one win
[9:50] Speaker 1: over the Spurs in San Antonio?
[9:56] Speaker 4: It's not traumatic at all.
[9:58] Speaker 9: I think that from the standpoint of Wimby playing the
[10:03] Speaker 9: way he played, De'Aaron Fox playing the way he played,
[10:05] Speaker 9: the Wolves playing the way they played, Rudy Gobert played
[10:08] Speaker 9: the way he played, Shannon Jr., Mike Conley, I think
[10:12] Speaker 9: to lose the game one shot, we're in good position.
[10:17] Speaker 9: I think what's happening right now in the media space
[10:19] Speaker 9: is everybody is jumping to conclusions after one game. Everybody
[10:23] Speaker 9: in their real-time commentary, you know, end all, be all.
[10:27] Speaker 9: Every game is going to be, you know, the end
[10:30] Speaker 9: of the world. But I think now that we're in
[10:32] Speaker 9: the second round, every game is going to be analyzed
[10:35] Speaker 9: a little bit differently. I think a little bit more
[10:37] Speaker 9: patient is going to be exhibited with a lot of
[10:40] Speaker 9: different teams, especially like with the Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
[10:44] Speaker 9: Because you can steal game one, but you can see–
[10:46] Speaker 9: first round what happened with the Magic and the Pistons
[10:49] Speaker 9: what happened with the Celtics and the Sixers things can
[10:52] Speaker 9: change game by game depending on who shows up so
[10:56] Speaker 9: I think right now with Wimby not playing good and
[11:00] Speaker 9: Fox not playing good still lose by threes it's a
[11:03] Speaker 9: bright spot there let's make some adjustments I don't think
[11:06] Speaker 9: defensively it needs to be too many adjustments but to
[11:09] Speaker 9: pay a little bit more attention to Shannon Jr. because
[11:11] Speaker 9: he's showing me a little bit of what a Cam Thomas,
[11:17] Speaker 9: a Cam Whitmore, high-velocity score off the bench that they overlooked,
[11:22] Speaker 9: that he's coming in, he's showing his promise. And I
[11:24] Speaker 9: like what he's bringing to the game. I like what
[11:26] Speaker 9: Mike Conley's doing, Nas Reed. And you got to give
[11:29] Speaker 9: Rudy Gobert his credit. I think he's in his bag
[11:33] Speaker 9: right now. He's in his defensive bag. And what he
[11:36] Speaker 9: did to Wimby was definitely commendable. What he did to Joker,
[11:40] Speaker 9: you know, I've been trying to, figure out why my
[11:44] Speaker 9: burping babies took so long. I think they're in customs.
[11:46] Speaker 9: I ordered some customized burping babies. But Rudy, he deserves,
[11:51] Speaker 9: he deserves a lot of credit. You know what I'm saying?
[11:54] Speaker 9: And you know, it's game, game one's down. Next game,
[11:58] Speaker 9: let's do it.
[11:59] Speaker 3: Let's shift over to you, Canyon.
[12:02] Speaker 1: So Wolves did not have Dante DiVincenzo obviously out for
[12:05] Speaker 1: the remainder of the season. I would assume it was
[12:07] Speaker 1: so big in that first round series, did not play
[12:08] Speaker 1: in game one. But Ant-Man comes back and only plays
[12:11] Speaker 1: 25 minutes. I think Spurs shot like 28% from three.
[12:14] Speaker 1: Nasty game shooting across the board. But what are your
[12:16] Speaker 1: biggest takeaways from the Wolves coming into San Antonio?
[12:20] Speaker 3: Hostile environment. And stealing game one.
[12:24] Speaker 2: I'm glad you brought up burping babies. That same burping
[12:29] Speaker 2: baby that you speak of, during the regular season, he
[12:31] Speaker 2: was eighth in scoring. First in assists. First in rebounds.
[12:38] Speaker 2: Accident the first round. You know when Nicola was? Eighth
[12:42] Speaker 2: in scoring. First in assists. First in rebound.
[12:47] Speaker 3: So... First one out.
[12:49] Speaker 2: Yeah, but... Team. Yeah, but that's a team sport. But
[12:53] Speaker 2: him doing his.
[12:53] Speaker 4: Team number.
[12:54] Speaker 2: The only thing that he didn't do well, he shot 19%
[12:57] Speaker 2: from three.
[12:58] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
[12:59] Speaker 3: Right?
[12:59] Speaker 4: 44 from.
[13:01] Speaker 2: 45 from the field. That's... But if I told you
[13:06] Speaker 2: a dude averaged 28, 13, and 9 1⁄2, you.
[13:11] Speaker 2: You would say he had a good.
[13:11] Speaker 4: Series, right? 25?
[13:12] Speaker 7: 26?
[13:12] Speaker 2: It was a good series, but ain't nobody getting burnt.
[13:16] Speaker 2: Shout out to your guy. But yeah, Minnesota is a
[13:24] Speaker 2: better team than I gave credit to initially. Them doing
[13:29] Speaker 2: what they did to Denver the way they did and
[13:31] Speaker 2: going on the road and getting this was key for
[13:37] Speaker 2: their confidence, for their Momentum moving forward. Getting Ant back
[13:42] Speaker 2: was a surprise. It was said that he wasn't going
[13:45] Speaker 2: to make it back to the middle of the series.
[13:48] Speaker 2: Fighting through whatever his pain threshold is, he's doing that
[13:52] Speaker 2: to will his team, which is important for the star
[13:54] Speaker 2: to be out there. Yeah, and San Antonio didn't shoot
[13:58] Speaker 2: the ball well from the field. Part of that is
[14:02] Speaker 2: the way that Minnesota defended them. Minnesota played well on
[14:07] Speaker 2: the road.
[14:08] Speaker 3: Game one.
[14:09] Speaker 2: Went in there in a hostile environment. Was able to
[14:11] Speaker 2: get one. The first game is, hey, now you're playing
[14:15] Speaker 2: on house money. And heaven forbid you go down there
[14:17] Speaker 2: and get another one. And Minnesota is a team with
[14:20] Speaker 2: more experience. They've been there the last two years. Been
[14:23] Speaker 2: to the West Coast Finals the last couple years. That's
[14:26] Speaker 2: not to be overlooked, which my naiveness did going against
[14:30] Speaker 2: the Nuggets because I thought the Nuggets had their number
[14:32] Speaker 2: this year. But That experience came through once again for
[14:36] Speaker 2: Minnesota on the road in a hostile environment. I think
[14:40] Speaker 2: they're going to game plan even better for game two.
[14:43] Speaker 2: I think Chris Finch did a hell of a job
[14:45] Speaker 2: game planning, implementing that game plan, giving Mike Conley extended
[14:50] Speaker 2: minutes when you need that common force out there to
[14:55] Speaker 2: get things organized, made big shots, big shot laid off
[14:58] Speaker 2: the Wimby block, found him in the corner for a
[15:00] Speaker 2: corner three was a huge shot. Um, but made timely plays, man. Um,
[15:06] Speaker 2: staying ready, staying ready for the young guy, Shannon, staying
[15:08] Speaker 2: ready for Mike Conley, who minutes was sparingly throughout the season,
[15:11] Speaker 2: staying ready, you know, so, yeah, so Minnesota got a day. Um,
[15:16] Speaker 2: San Antonio played well, lost by two, of course, on
[15:18] Speaker 2: their home floor, which, yeah, you want to get that one,
[15:21] Speaker 2: but yeah, they played well, didn't shoot the ball particularly well. Um,
[15:25] Speaker 2: wouldn't be taking eight threes when your game is not,
[15:27] Speaker 2: when you don't feel it offensively is, is not the move. Um,
[15:32] Speaker 2: I think Julius Round did a hell of a job
[15:34] Speaker 2: keeping him away from the basket when he was on him.
[15:36] Speaker 2: Of course, they was able to throw different bodies at him,
[15:38] Speaker 2: give him different looks. And I think they're going to
[15:40] Speaker 2: do more of the same. They're going to crowd him
[15:42] Speaker 2: even more, make him play in the crowd, and make
[15:44] Speaker 2: him shoot jump shots. And I think if they're doing that,
[15:47] Speaker 2: then I feel they feel their recipe for success will
[15:51] Speaker 2: be even better in game two. But it was a
[15:54] Speaker 2: good game one.
[15:56] Speaker 1: And they say, obviously, first game, usually the easiest one
[15:58] Speaker 1: to steal in a series. But let's shift over to you, Mr. B.
[16:01] Speaker 1: Biggest takeaways from the Wolves coming into San Antonio taking
[16:05] Speaker 1: game one from the Wolves?
[16:06] Speaker 10: I got a shout out to the coach, Chris Fitch.
[16:12] Speaker 10: The way he had Ant playing, I think in the
[16:15] Speaker 10: fourth quarter, I think he only played him 25 minutes,
[16:17] Speaker 10: but in the fourth he played like 10. That's when
[16:19] Speaker 10: Ant was able to do his thing. They had six
[16:22] Speaker 10: guys in double figures in scoring. Kenyon just said, you know,
[16:25] Speaker 10: Wimby 0 for 8 from the three. You know, if
[16:29] Speaker 10: you can let him just keep doing that. Um, you know,
[16:32] Speaker 10: keep playing outside the paint, you know, that's, that's going to, uh,
[16:35] Speaker 10: benefit the wolves. Uh, the wolves also scored 52 points
[16:38] Speaker 10: in the paint. Um, the fact that when we had
[16:41] Speaker 10: 12 blocks was, was great, but, uh, you just got
[16:44] Speaker 10: to keep attacking, keep attacking them downhill. Um, and just
[16:47] Speaker 10: keep playing as a team, you know, second, second round
[16:50] Speaker 10: of playoffs. You definitely want to go in there and
[16:52] Speaker 10: get home, home, um, that first win. And that's what
[16:54] Speaker 10: they did. Um, it's going to be a dog fight though.
[16:58] Speaker 10: This is going to be definitely a dog fight. And,
[17:00] Speaker 10: Can't wait to see what happens game two.
[17:02] Speaker 1: Like you said, Wolves 52 points in the paint, but
[17:04] Speaker 1: Spurs 58 points in the paint in that game. Spurs
[17:08] Speaker 1: also 27 to 10 in fast break points. So you
[17:11] Speaker 1: just look at the numbers without looking at the score,
[17:12] Speaker 1: you would think that San Antonio likely would have won
[17:15] Speaker 1: that game. Did not happen, but Swaggy, let's shift over
[17:18] Speaker 1: to you.
[17:20] Speaker 3: Oh, man.
[17:23] Speaker 5: I'd like to say that Minnesota got a lot of
[17:26] Speaker 5: OKC when it comes to finding players.
[17:29] Speaker 3: Because these guys, if they bring it in, I feel
[17:31] Speaker 3: like could do a lot. A.O. is not playing yet.
[17:39] Speaker 5: And I feel like when he fixes his calf or something,
[17:42] Speaker 5: it's going to bring more depth. Right now they're playing
[17:45] Speaker 5: with the older Mike Conley, and he's outperforming Fox first game.
[17:52] Speaker 3: And that's tough. For the Spurs, you can't let that happen. Go, Burr.
[17:59] Speaker 5: You got to give him all the props, all the
[18:01] Speaker 5: credit to, you know, do what he's done. To a
[18:06] Speaker 5: so-called top five, big, one of the best players in
[18:09] Speaker 5: the league. Without your superstar, you put him out. Shannon
[18:15] Speaker 5: Daniels becoming a star in his league.
[18:17] Speaker 3: I love the way he's playing.
[18:19] Speaker 5: I feel like him and Ant got a future, you know,
[18:22] Speaker 5: Jordan Pippen thing going on. And Ant is showing why.
[18:26] Speaker 5: This is going to be his league. He's the face
[18:29] Speaker 5: of the league. White people love him. He's relentless. He
[18:37] Speaker 5: don't get the props he deserves. We never talk about
[18:39] Speaker 5: him in the MVP race. When it comes to the
[18:44] Speaker 5: first teams, he's all in the same situation as Luka
[18:47] Speaker 5: and Kade. He's the one that gets left out. But
[18:51] Speaker 5: he's there.
[18:53] Speaker 3: And people love it. People love him.
[18:55] Speaker 5: Right now, going out there 75% at 24 and doing
[19:00] Speaker 5: the moves he was doing last night, learning how to
[19:03] Speaker 5: take over games, learning how to.
[19:07] Speaker 3: Pick off defenders.
[19:09] Speaker 5: Don't drive to the lane would have been dunks if
[19:12] Speaker 5: he was 100%. I just love the confidence they got
[19:17] Speaker 5: in each other. State future, Minnesota, the best guard.
[19:24] Speaker 3: Ant-Man in the league. Ant-Man, future face of the league,
[19:26] Speaker 3: in your opinion, Swaggy? Best guard now.
[19:28] Speaker 1: Best guard currently in the National Basketball Association?
[19:32] Speaker 3: Better than SGA? Best guard now. Best guard, okay. Let's
[19:36] Speaker 3: shift over to you, Gil.
[19:39] Speaker 1: Biggest takeaways from the Wolves getting that game one win
[19:41] Speaker 1: to take home point advantage in the series?
[19:43] Speaker 2: So is that a fact or your preference?
[19:46] Speaker 3: That's God.
[19:47] Speaker 2: Is that a fact or your preference?
[19:49] Speaker 3: That's God. Preference. I say preference. I'm asking for a friend.
[19:53] Speaker 2: You didn't just say preference.
[19:55] Speaker 3: No, no. Because he does a lot of things that
[19:57] Speaker 3: shake him.
[19:58] Speaker 4: You want to help him out?
[19:59] Speaker 3: Help him. No, I get it, buddy. He does a
[20:01] Speaker 3: lot of things that shake him. When you say facts,
[20:03] Speaker 3: you got to help him.
[20:04] Speaker 4: Help him. Stand on him, man.
[20:07] Speaker 3: He does a lot of things that shake him. No, no,
[20:08] Speaker 3: I get that. What I'm just saying, just say preference.
[20:11] Speaker 3: You prefer him. He said something else too earlier. He
[20:14] Speaker 3: said D-Fox.
[20:15] Speaker 10: You remember you said D-Fox was getting, you said he
[20:17] Speaker 10: was getting outplayed by who?
[20:19] Speaker 3: He did. He's supposed to be.
[20:20] Speaker 7: When he got outplayed by Goldberg, I don't mean Goldberg.
[20:22] Speaker 3: Superstar.
[20:23] Speaker 7: Stand on 10. I don't mean Goldberg.
[20:25] Speaker 3: Superstar got outplayed. Joker and.
[20:28] Speaker 4: Say it again.
[20:28] Speaker 3: No, I'm just saying. And Wimby. Say it again.
[20:30] Speaker 4: But D-Fox. He outplayed them too. No, not really. No,
[20:33] Speaker 4: he didn't outplay. No, he didn't.
[20:35] Speaker 2: He did not play their team, did he?
[20:37] Speaker 3: Yes.
[20:38] Speaker 4: But, Nick. Shut him down. Nick, so is that your
[20:43] Speaker 4: preference or is that a fact? He's supposed to be
[20:45] Speaker 4: a superstar.
[20:46] Speaker 3: Huh?
[20:46] Speaker 4: He's supposed to be a superstar.
[20:47] Speaker 2: Answer my question, though. You didn't answer my question.
[20:49] Speaker 3: Yes, that's a fact.
[20:50] Speaker 2: Preference or is that.
[20:52] Speaker 4: Fact. It's your fact?
[20:54] Speaker 3: No, fact.
[20:55] Speaker 4: Or the guy that won MVP.
[20:56] Speaker 3: What's he doing? What's McCullough doing?
[20:58] Speaker 7: Because you got to add all that in.
[20:59] Speaker 3: Or the guy that won MVP. You got to add
[21:00] Speaker 3: all that in. Yeah. At that age, too. Yes. At
[21:03] Speaker 3: that age.
[21:03] Speaker 4: At that age, yes.
[21:04] Speaker 3: You got to add all that in.
[21:06] Speaker 7: Did he go to a Western Conference final at 24?
[21:07] Speaker 3: They both in the NBA right now.
[21:09] Speaker 4: No.
[21:10] Speaker 3: You got to add all this in.
[21:12] Speaker 4: They both in the NBA right now. You got to
[21:13] Speaker 4: add all this in. Help your own boy out. You
[21:17] Speaker 4: don't need no help.
[21:18] Speaker 3: You got to add all this in. That was easy.
[21:23] Speaker 3: I got y'all. I got you. Let's shift over to you.
[21:27] Speaker 3: I love the jacket. Is that a Ty Lue? Huh?
[21:33] Speaker 3: Luke Canara.
[21:34] Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
[21:34] Speaker 3: Just making sure. Just checking.
[21:36] Speaker 2: The white wonders. Tell the people what's note came with it, though.
[21:38] Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. So a note came attached to it. And
[21:43] Speaker 4: it said, this white boy is good, ain't he? Enjoy
[21:48] Speaker 4: the jersey. Signed, Luke Canard. Oh, shit.
[21:54] Speaker 3: But biggest takeaways.
[21:55] Speaker 2: I should have said, would have made it even better.
[21:58] Speaker 2: Make sure Kenyon get this. That would have been funny.
[22:00] Speaker 2: That would have been hilarious. That would have been hilarious.
[22:02] Speaker 3: Biggest takeaway is.
[22:09] Speaker 4: Timberwolves are Western Conference Finals two years in a row
[22:14] Speaker 4: for a reason. This series is over. I'm just going
[22:20] Speaker 4: to be honest with you.
[22:21] Speaker 3: Over for who? For the Spurs. Wow.
[22:24] Speaker 4: And I'm just going to say there was nothing the
[22:28] Speaker 4: Spurs did that showed anything that can beat the Wolves
[22:35] Speaker 4: in a series.
[22:36] Speaker 3: They still don't know what their offense looks like.
[22:39] Speaker 4: Wimby still can't. He still don't understand guard offense. When
[22:45] Speaker 4: you have a guard on you, you have an offensive book.
[22:48] Speaker 4: When you have a big on you, you have an
[22:50] Speaker 4: offensive book, right? So the fact that they can stick
[22:53] Speaker 4: a shooting guard or a small forward on you and
[22:55] Speaker 4: you still don't know what you're doing, that is not
[22:59] Speaker 4: acceptable in the playoffs against a team that went to
[23:03] Speaker 4: the Western Conference Final two times, right?
[23:05] Speaker 3: You're playing against an elite team.
[23:07] Speaker 4: There's nothing that's on the Spurs that's not experienced on
[23:11] Speaker 4: that team.
[23:11] Speaker 3: You won defensive player of the year. He got four, right?
[23:16] Speaker 3: They have Ant-Man. They have a Daniels.
[23:18] Speaker 4: They have established guys in this league.
[23:22] Speaker 3: They have a six-man.
[23:23] Speaker 4: So when you're looking at the Spurs, the excitement. Wimby
[23:29] Speaker 4: could have been out of the game at the nine-minute mark, right?
[23:32] Speaker 4: He got a foul on Rudy Goldberg. The very next play,
[23:36] Speaker 4: they came down. They called it the block, but he
[23:39] Speaker 4: slapped all this right here. If that's on the road, foul,
[23:42] Speaker 4: sit down, right? He puts himself in situations where he's
[23:46] Speaker 4: going to be in foul trouble in this series when
[23:48] Speaker 4: he goes on the road.
[23:50] Speaker 3: It's just the inexperience. That's all it's really showing.
[23:58] Speaker 4: It doesn't show like the team themselves can keep up
[24:05] Speaker 4: and stay grounded. The Wolves have a game plan that
[24:11] Speaker 4: I don't think Spurs is ready for, and it's happened
[24:16] Speaker 4: to Rudy Goldberg his whole career. Wimby might get played
[24:19] Speaker 4: off the court in the fourth quarter. Because in the
[24:23] Speaker 4: fourth quarter, he has to guard Nas Reed or Julius
[24:27] Speaker 4: Randle at the five. He's not going to take advantage
[24:31] Speaker 4: of them offensively, but he has to sit at the
[24:33] Speaker 4: three-point line, Ant-Man drives.
[24:36] Speaker 3: Right?
[24:36] Speaker 4: When they came back, it was because Rudy Goldberg got
[24:38] Speaker 4: back in the game, and now he gets to match
[24:40] Speaker 4: back up.
[24:40] Speaker 3: But before.
[24:43] Speaker 4: He has to guard one of those guys, and that
[24:45] Speaker 4: man is just driving to the lane. He can't protect
[24:49] Speaker 4: the basket with the two guards, I mean, with the
[24:52] Speaker 4: two bigs out there shooting threes. So there's going to
[24:54] Speaker 4: be a point in time where they're going to look
[24:56] Speaker 4: at him and like, man, do we just go small
[24:58] Speaker 4: and match and not play our big man, which would
[25:03] Speaker 4: be disastrous too, but they're going to, Wolves is going
[25:06] Speaker 4: to do that in the fourth quarter to him and
[25:08] Speaker 4: see if they can adjust to it, but It just
[25:10] Speaker 4: seems very young when you just watch the game.
[25:15] Speaker 3: I'm just like, damn. They're calling that a block. That
[25:19] Speaker 3: could have been a foul. That could have been a foul.
[25:20] Speaker 3: That could have been a foul. You're looking at a
[25:22] Speaker 3: whole bunch of things. I was like, damn. Don't jump.
[25:25] Speaker 4: I'm telling them, the first five minutes of the game, man,
[25:27] Speaker 4: is very important for you because if you get one,
[25:30] Speaker 4: they're going to keep attacking until you get two.
[25:32] Speaker 3: Then you got to sit down.
[25:33] Speaker 4: So, Wimby, playoff record, 12 blocks. He was on the
[25:37] Speaker 4: road by then.
[25:38] Speaker 3: I know.
[25:39] Speaker 1: 12 blocks after the game, Chris Finch, I think, complained
[25:41] Speaker 1: about it, said a lot of those were goaltends or fouls.
[25:43] Speaker 4: You had Terrence Andrew Jr.
[25:44] Speaker 1: After the game saying he's still going to attack Wimby.
[25:47] Speaker 1: They kind of talked shit back and forth. He said
[25:48] Speaker 1: he's going to catch him slipping at least once. But
[25:50] Speaker 1: Wolves not deviating. It doesn't seem like they're afraid of Wimby,
[25:53] Speaker 1: even though he did have those 12 blocks.
[25:54] Speaker 3: I mean, the goaltending is... It's after the fact.
[25:58] Speaker 4: I'm talking about the ones where it's foul. Even at
[26:01] Speaker 4: the end of the play, or at the end of
[26:03] Speaker 4: the period where Julius Randle went down and dunked it,
[26:07] Speaker 4: that could have been an end one.
[26:09] Speaker 3: Those are the things you.
[26:10] Speaker 4: Got to watch out for and not get yourself in
[26:12] Speaker 4: those situations because it's very important to you. And he
[26:14] Speaker 4: finally admitted something I've said the whole time. The way
[26:19] Speaker 4: you play offense, you tire yourself out. You spend so
[26:24] Speaker 4: much time trying to take guards off the dribble. Right?
[26:27] Speaker 4: Bigs off the dribble.
[26:28] Speaker 3: You want to put the ball on the floor as
[26:29] Speaker 3: soon as possible.
[26:30] Speaker 4: You're just getting yourself tired and you don't play enough
[26:34] Speaker 4: minutes to be in shape to do what you're trying
[26:37] Speaker 4: to do. And you're going to just tire yourself out. So,
[26:39] Speaker 4: you know, it's the rule of thumb.
[26:43] Speaker 3: Guard on you.
[26:44] Speaker 4: Turn and shoot. There's no reason to put that ball.
[26:47] Speaker 4: I don't give a shit if it's that half court.
[26:48] Speaker 3: Shoot it.
[26:49] Speaker 4: Right?
[26:50] Speaker 3: You got the big. You got Rudy Gober on you.
[26:52] Speaker 3: Take his ass off the dribble. Right? You dunked on
[26:54] Speaker 3: him two times.
[26:55] Speaker 4: So learn how to play both games.
[26:58] Speaker 10: What if the guards are pushing him out? Because you
[27:00] Speaker 10: use your size, man. Pushing him out. He can shoot three, right?
[27:04] Speaker 10: He's not strong enough. How the fuck do you get pushed?
[27:08] Speaker 10: Where are they pushing you back at? No, but I'm
[27:10] Speaker 10: just saying, he go 0 for 8 from the three
[27:11] Speaker 10: and shooting that.
[27:13] Speaker 4: That means he's shooting some bull. He can't get to
[27:16] Speaker 4: the elbow? I guess not.
[27:18] Speaker 3: He can't spin?
[27:18] Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. He can't spin live?
[27:21] Speaker 3: I mean, he's not doing it against a small goal.
[27:23] Speaker 4: He can't have an off night? No, I'm saying, but
[27:25] Speaker 4: this is a theme, though. It ain't just an off night.
[27:28] Speaker 3: This is something we've been saying for a minute.
[27:30] Speaker 7: He's 35% from the three.
[27:32] Speaker 2: But he will concede.
[27:33] Speaker 9: He had an off night, so if he hits those shots,
[27:36] Speaker 9: we're not having this conversation.
[27:37] Speaker 2: But we've seen this more times than not where he concedes.
[27:41] Speaker 2: So Gil's point is he plays against everybody the same, right?
[27:45] Speaker 2: If there's a big Rudy on him, take him off
[27:47] Speaker 2: the bounce. If there's a smaller guy on you, why
[27:49] Speaker 2: are you putting the ball on the floor? We see
[27:50] Speaker 2: him trying to dribble against guards. He's done it all.
[27:53] Speaker 2: He's done it since he came into the NBA.
[27:54] Speaker 9: Which is why he's number one in MVP voting.
[27:58] Speaker 4: That's why he was at the top.
[28:00] Speaker 2: That's your MVP voting.
[28:01] Speaker 9: He was at the top doing what he's done all
[28:03] Speaker 9: season long.
[28:04] Speaker 4: Top three.
[28:05] Speaker 9: If he changes what he's done all season long, the
[28:08] Speaker 9: team won't be here. God damn.
[28:11] Speaker 2: The point the man is making is, He plays to
[28:15] Speaker 2: see everybody the same.
[28:16] Speaker 3: Daniel's not small, though. He's not a small guard.
[28:19] Speaker 2: Get to the elbow.
[28:22] Speaker 4: Turn around.
[28:22] Speaker 3: Name any scoring big man throughout history.
[28:25] Speaker 4: You can put a guard or a small forward on them.
[28:29] Speaker 9: You can't name no player in history. Because there's only
[28:33] Speaker 9: one Wimby. You're not going to name a bunch of
[28:36] Speaker 9: guys that can do that.
[28:37] Speaker 3: Okay, just name.
[28:38] Speaker 4: Can we name any small forward or any big guy
[28:41] Speaker 4: that has an advantage against a guard that's going to
[28:43] Speaker 4: sit there and choose a jump shot?
[28:44] Speaker 2: You ain't even got to do that right now. You
[28:46] Speaker 2: ain't even got to do that. In today's NBA, if
[28:51] Speaker 2: Jalen Brunson gets a big on him, is he going
[28:53] Speaker 2: to try to post him up? he's going to try
[28:56] Speaker 2: to go by him. If Tyrese Maxey gets a big
[28:59] Speaker 2: out there on him, he's going to use his speed, right?
[29:02] Speaker 2: That's what we're asking of Wimby to do. When you
[29:04] Speaker 2: get a small on you, don't try to go by him.
[29:07] Speaker 2: Use your size. Go down there and get you a
[29:09] Speaker 2: catch where he can't affect your game at all. That's
[29:14] Speaker 2: all a man is saying. Like, just get down and
[29:17] Speaker 2: get a kid.
[29:17] Speaker 4: You got a guard on you.
[29:18] Speaker 3: You got Wimby on you. You can't move his feet.
[29:19] Speaker 4: You got Walker Kessel on you.
[29:21] Speaker 3: He can't move his feet.
[29:22] Speaker 4: You got Joel on you.
[29:24] Speaker 3: You can't move his feet. I don't think he's normal. Well,
[29:27] Speaker 3: the reason why he's not normal is because he's playing down.
[29:29] Speaker 4: What I'm saying is if he's posting up at the
[29:32] Speaker 4: mid post, what are you doing to push him out
[29:34] Speaker 4: of three?
[29:35] Speaker 3: Using physical strength? Two hands, you're just pushing him.
[29:38] Speaker 4: That's a foul.
[29:39] Speaker 3: I know what I'm saying.
[29:40] Speaker 2: That's why you got to learn tricks.
[29:45] Speaker 4: Do you know there's a rule where if you turn
[29:47] Speaker 4: and face, they can't touch you? That is actually an
[29:51] Speaker 4: NBA rule. If I got the ball, you can do
[29:53] Speaker 4: all this all you want. I turn and face, you
[29:55] Speaker 4: have to do this.
[29:55] Speaker 3: Okay. You're six foot.
[29:58] Speaker 4: What are you doing? He can shoot one.
[30:02] Speaker 3: He can do this. If he just stands up.
[30:05] Speaker 4: Even Jaden McDaniel, right?
[30:08] Speaker 3: Him on him, right? He can shoot right over him?
[30:10] Speaker 3: He said he can't shoot over him.
[30:11] Speaker 4: He shoots over Rudy Goldberg. You're telling me you can't
[30:13] Speaker 4: shoot over McDaniels?
[30:14] Speaker 9: If it was that easy, all the bigs would be
[30:17] Speaker 9: going in.
[30:17] Speaker 4: All the bigs ain't 7'5.
[30:19] Speaker 3: I mean, well, the bigs that did do it.
[30:22] Speaker 4: All the bigs ain't 7'5.
[30:23] Speaker 9: All the bigs today, if you get a switch, if
[30:26] Speaker 9: a small switches onto a big in today's game and
[30:30] Speaker 9: they go down and they say, hey, just throw it
[30:32] Speaker 9: to me. I'm just going to throw it up. It's
[30:34] Speaker 9: not that easy. It don't just happen like that. When
[30:37] Speaker 9: y'all making it, that's what he should.
[30:39] Speaker 4: Do because he's 7'5. That ain't how the game is played.
[30:42] Speaker 9: You go down there like Anthony Davis. If Joker has
[30:46] Speaker 9: a load on him, they're going to switch.
[30:48] Speaker 4: They're going to.
[30:48] Speaker 3: Double him or whatever.
[30:50] Speaker 4: And me? OKC.
[30:52] Speaker 3: And he was trying to do what? Post him up
[30:53] Speaker 3: the whole time, right? What was he trying to do?
[30:56] Speaker 3: Post him up. What was he trying to do? What
[30:57] Speaker 3: was he trying to do? It was just collabing. He
[30:59] Speaker 3: didn't sit at the three-point line trying to dribble past him.
[31:01] Speaker 4: He just turned around and dunked on him, because he
[31:02] Speaker 4: can't do that. So you're talking about, you're talking about
[31:06] Speaker 4: Moe and Evelyn, you put a guard on him, he's
[31:08] Speaker 4: trying to take him. Allen's trying, every big man is trying.
[31:13] Speaker 3: Maybe he just don't have it in him.
[31:15] Speaker 4: Maybe that's just not in his game.
[31:16] Speaker 1: But give it to your point, Wimby had his worst
[31:18] Speaker 1: offensive player game of his first postseason. Not including that
[31:22] Speaker 1: game two versus the Blazers where he left with a concussion.
[31:25] Speaker 2: The issue is he shot 8-3.
[31:27] Speaker 3: What did he say out his mouth? I'll tell you
[31:30] Speaker 3: if you let me talk.
[31:31] Speaker 4: Tell me.
[31:31] Speaker 3: I'll tell you if you let me talk. What'd he say?
[31:33] Speaker 1: So when we was asked what he could have did
[31:35] Speaker 1: better offensively or what he can do better offensively in
[31:38] Speaker 1: game two and had this response. Start by making some shots.
[31:46] Speaker 1: So like, no, I had to use my energy. You know,
[31:50] Speaker 1: obviously used a lot of it on one side of
[31:52] Speaker 1: the court. And on the other side, I used too much. Offensively,
[31:58] Speaker 1: I used too much energy in things that didn't really
[32:00] Speaker 1: help our team.
[32:01] Speaker 4: So That's on me.
[32:05] Speaker 3: But first thing, I start by making some shots. 0
[32:10] Speaker 3: for 8 from 3.
[32:11] Speaker 1: He makes one of those. He goes 1 for 8.
[32:15] Speaker 4: Excuse me?
[32:16] Speaker 3: If he makes one.
[32:16] Speaker 4: Just one? Just one? Just one?
[32:20] Speaker 3: Game's over?
[32:20] Speaker 4: Three points? Just one of eight? But the fact is
[32:23] Speaker 4: he did not. Right? Y'all with this, he did not.
[32:27] Speaker 3: He'd make a three.
[32:29] Speaker 4: Yeah. He would still be playing. He'd be playing. But
[32:31] Speaker 4: they're the same thing. They're not. So he did. He did.
[32:35] Speaker 4: He shot 19 and he didn't. And they had home,
[32:38] Speaker 4: God damn it.
[32:38] Speaker 3: So what? Go birdie. He make them shoot bad. From
[32:42] Speaker 3: the three-point line. You got to take away something.
[32:45] Speaker 4: Yeah. Bad play.
[32:47] Speaker 9: And when we thought that was his advantage, we pulled
[32:49] Speaker 9: him out of the post.
[32:50] Speaker 4: Let me shoot these threes.
[32:52] Speaker 7: I was off.
[32:52] Speaker 9: That's a bad little strategy for him. Like, hey, usually
[32:56] Speaker 9: I can make one or two of these, bring him out.
[32:59] Speaker 3: 19% from the three post there? Mm-hmm.
[33:02] Speaker 9: He shot more threes than we would think. You would
[33:05] Speaker 9: think he would be down there burping babies, but he wasn't.
[33:07] Speaker 9: It was just like, that's not Wimby's game.
[33:11] Speaker 5: They made Joker try to be athletic.
[33:12] Speaker 3: I said, I wouldn't think Wimby.
[33:13] Speaker 4: Is that dumb to say, Rudy Gober, I'm going to
[33:16] Speaker 4: take you out. Another seven-footer to shoot a three.
[33:19] Speaker 3: I would think that he would say, Rudy Gober, feet
[33:22] Speaker 3: is bad. I'm going to get by him and go
[33:24] Speaker 3: dunk it. Because you did that.
[33:25] Speaker 4: Went by him. So you if that's what you do
[33:29] Speaker 4: then come back and start shooting threes against another seven-footer.
[33:31] Speaker 3: No, something's wrong with you.
[33:33] Speaker 4: Like imagine me bringing I got my fucking shack out
[33:36] Speaker 4: here and then I settle for a three I I
[33:40] Speaker 4: do not know Basketball you do do that. No, I
[33:43] Speaker 4: don't just know I don't know.
[33:46] Speaker 3: I don't will you open?
[33:49] Speaker 5: On them you open up the bag just like that
[33:52] Speaker 5: man shot three we win me on the three and Gotta.
[33:55] Speaker 4: Make one, right?
[33:56] Speaker 3: You gotta. He just made one before that.
[33:58] Speaker 4: Yeah, he was on fire.
[33:58] Speaker 3: Man, he can't go buy him right now. He out
[34:00] Speaker 3: there on one leg.
[34:00] Speaker 4: It's not smart basketball. He out there on one leg,
[34:02] Speaker 4: can't go buy him.
[34:08] Speaker 9: If I can hit a three and I can drive,
[34:11] Speaker 9: I can.
[34:11] Speaker 4: Open up my game.
[34:13] Speaker 9: If I hit a three, I'm going to hit this
[34:15] Speaker 9: three and he got to guard me now. Now I
[34:17] Speaker 9: can drive him. That's basketball. Come out here.
[34:20] Speaker 4: Let me do this.
[34:21] Speaker 9: If I drove you and I dunked you already, that
[34:24] Speaker 9: means you're going to do what now?
[34:26] Speaker 3: Back up.
[34:26] Speaker 4: You're going to back up.
[34:28] Speaker 9: Now I got to make you honest on my jumper.
[34:31] Speaker 4: I just didn't find it.
[34:33] Speaker 3: That's it.
[34:33] Speaker 4: That's what happened.
[34:35] Speaker 3: Oh, because he didn't back up. He didn't find it.
[34:37] Speaker 3: He didn't back up. You dunked on me, I'm still
[34:39] Speaker 3: playing just tough.
[34:40] Speaker 4: Because I know what you want to do.
[34:41] Speaker 3: You want to shoot the three. Right? I mean, when
[34:45] Speaker 3: we still driving, it's still going to get easier.
[34:46] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[34:47] Speaker 3: Like, it's still a closer shot. Yeah, 7-5. Closer to
[34:50] Speaker 3: the bat. So regardless if he want to back up or.
[34:52] Speaker 4: Not, I'm still going. It's still an opportunity to miss
[34:54] Speaker 4: the shot, too.
[34:55] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[34:55] Speaker 4: You can still miss it.
[34:56] Speaker 3: It ain't guaranteed. But it's a higher percentage to make
[34:59] Speaker 3: a shot.
[34:59] Speaker 2: I guarantee he shoot higher from two than he do
[35:02] Speaker 2: from three.
[35:03] Speaker 3: That I do know for a fact.
[35:05] Speaker 9: Rudy Gobert kept a dude that was at, what, 60%
[35:10] Speaker 9: from the field?
[35:11] Speaker 4: 60% from the field?
[35:12] Speaker 3: To 49% from the field?
[35:14] Speaker 9: Those are contested dudes.
[35:17] Speaker 2: You know how hard the bar has to be for
[35:19] Speaker 2: y'all to keep doing it, right?
[35:20] Speaker 3: You know how hard the bar has to be? I mean,
[35:22] Speaker 3: but we'll be way more athletic over there.
[35:25] Speaker 9: You don't need to be Rudy go bear can contest shots.
[35:28] Speaker 9: He can play good defense on you at the two-point,
[35:31] Speaker 9: but we'll be but we'll be is.
[35:32] Speaker 4: Also like he's very athletic though.
[35:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like like Joker's not that I like Joey.
[35:36] Speaker 3: I'm just saying who blocked who blocked him last night
[35:38] Speaker 3: trying to drive.
[35:39] Speaker 4: Oh, nobody.
[35:40] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not nobody.
[35:41] Speaker 9: There's some guys trying to block people trying to block Jordan.
[35:48] Speaker 4: People tried to guard Kobe. The whole point of defense.
[35:52] Speaker 4: Nobody shoots 100%. No, no, no.
[35:52] Speaker 3: He don't shoot 100%. But I bet you that I would.
[35:54] Speaker 4: Rather you shoot that than shooting threes. Eight threes.
[35:56] Speaker 3: Ten.
[35:56] Speaker 4: No.
[35:56] Speaker 3: Didn't shoot ten threes.
[35:57] Speaker 4: It was down.
[36:11] Speaker 3: It was down. You know what?
[36:12] Speaker 4: I don't care what. Well, yesterday he shot eight and
[36:15] Speaker 4: went 0 for eight. I can just tell you what
[36:16] Speaker 4: he did last night.
[36:17] Speaker 3: I can only go with what I saw last night.
[36:19] Speaker 4: He shot eight threes.
[36:19] Speaker 3: But he shot 17 shots. I do think a closer
[36:21] Speaker 3: shot for him is way higher.
[36:23] Speaker 1: So eight of his 17 shots are threes.
[36:24] Speaker 4: Six threes a game?
[36:25] Speaker 3: Does that sound cool to you? Six threes a game
[36:26] Speaker 3: in the regular season. Absolutely.
[36:29] Speaker 2: For the five, man, the 7-5 dude, eight of your
[36:32] Speaker 2: 17 shots are threes.
[36:34] Speaker 9: And you shoot 35%. And a lot of them was
[36:37] Speaker 9: on guard. And you shoot 35% for threes. That don't
[36:39] Speaker 9: sound good.
[36:40] Speaker 4: For sure.
[36:40] Speaker 2: The 7'5 guy, eight of your 17 shots is threes
[36:44] Speaker 2: and you don't make any of them.
[36:45] Speaker 3: It's the most threes he's taken all postseason.
[36:48] Speaker 4: And you drove past the man every single time to
[36:51] Speaker 4: get to the guy.
[36:52] Speaker 3: No, not every single time.
[36:53] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[36:53] Speaker 11: Stop.
[36:54] Speaker 3: The man said he was tired. What are you tired from, Nick?
[36:57] Speaker 3: What are you getting tired from?
[36:59] Speaker 9: What energy is it? What energy is you waiting for?
[37:05] Speaker 4: He's at offense.
[37:06] Speaker 3: What is he doing?
[37:08] Speaker 7: If he could drive every time and score every time,
[37:11] Speaker 7: he would do it.
[37:11] Speaker 3: You don't think that?
[37:12] Speaker 7: You don't think a motherfucker in their head. If I
[37:14] Speaker 7: could score every time doing this, I would do.
[37:16] Speaker 4: It every time.
[37:16] Speaker 3: Also play 40 minutes in this game.
[37:18] Speaker 4: God damn, he didn't score every time.
[37:19] Speaker 9: Go, Bird!
[37:21] Speaker 4: What is it? How many defenses?
[37:24] Speaker 3: He's the only person that guarded it?
[37:25] Speaker 4: No, no, no. They had A-Man guarding him.
[37:27] Speaker 3: They had Julius Reinhardt guarding him.
[37:28] Speaker 9: Wouldn't that make it harder to drive if you got
[37:30] Speaker 9: little guys on you?
[37:31] Speaker 4: That's why they said get to the.
[37:33] Speaker 9: You can't go down to the rim and just throw
[37:35] Speaker 9: the man the ball. Because they're going to switch off.
[37:41] Speaker 9: There's a big man down there we can say switch.
[37:43] Speaker 9: How about the free throw line?
[37:45] Speaker 4: Hey, look. Invert here. Invert here.
[37:47] Speaker 9: Hey, we're going to pack the paint when he catches on.
[37:49] Speaker 4: The free throw line. Hey, there's defense for all of that.
[37:52] Speaker 4: Don't pack the paint if he catches on the free
[37:54] Speaker 4: throw line. And guess what you're supposed to do? Catch. No.
[37:57] Speaker 2: You got a motherfucker shorter on you, they pack the paint,
[38:00] Speaker 2: turn the shoe right over him.
[38:01] Speaker 9: You can pack the paint all you want. You can
[38:03] Speaker 9: miss that shot too. You can miss that shot. It's
[38:06] Speaker 9: still an off night.
[38:08] Speaker 4: It don't matter.
[38:09] Speaker 9: It's still an off night.
[38:10] Speaker 4: It's a higher percentage shot. It's a higher percentage shot.
[38:14] Speaker 3: Can we do three? How about this? Can we just
[38:16] Speaker 3: talk the facts?
[38:17] Speaker 4: Yeah, the fact is you shoot a high from two,
[38:18] Speaker 4: then you do three.
[38:19] Speaker 3: And that too?
[38:20] Speaker 4: And did he go down there when Ant-Man was guarding
[38:23] Speaker 4: him to even see if they was going to invert
[38:26] Speaker 4: and switch?
[38:26] Speaker 3: No.
[38:27] Speaker 4: Or pack the pick.
[38:27] Speaker 3: He just got the ball, tried to do his thing. Like,
[38:30] Speaker 3: that ain't working, dog.
[38:32] Speaker 4: It ain't working. This is a top defensive team also.
[38:35] Speaker 4: This is not the Blazers. This is a top defensive
[38:39] Speaker 4: team just like y'all are top defensive team.
[38:41] Speaker 3: This is not Denver.
[38:42] Speaker 4: This is not Denver.
[38:44] Speaker 2: Where they got a bunch of bad defenders, it's like... Right,
[38:46] Speaker 2: this is.
[38:47] Speaker 4: They are like, okay, this is what we're going to do.
[38:51] Speaker 4: We can box in one, and we're going to put
[38:52] Speaker 4: a guard on him. Julius, keep fucking with him because
[38:54] Speaker 4: he's going to settle. He's going to give up. If
[38:56] Speaker 4: he can't get it the first time, he's just going
[38:58] Speaker 4: to give up and sit around the three. Like, there's
[39:00] Speaker 4: a game plan out there, and it happens.
[39:03] Speaker 2: Who did we say this similar... Porzingis. We had the
[39:06] Speaker 2: same conversation about Porzingis on... Not in this building, but
[39:10] Speaker 2: same couch. Same conversation about Porzingis, right? He will defer.
[39:14] Speaker 2: He'll stop at the... You push him out, he's going
[39:16] Speaker 2: to shoot the jump shot. But at least he'll get
[39:18] Speaker 2: to the free throw line. He'll get to the free
[39:20] Speaker 2: throw line and catch a damn turn. But we were
[39:22] Speaker 2: saying we wanted him to get close on the block.
[39:24] Speaker 2: That's what we were saying about Porzingis.
[39:25] Speaker 3: Yeah, Porzingis at least would turn and shoot.
[39:27] Speaker 2: That's the point. We'd get to that spot, turn, and
[39:30] Speaker 2: shoot right over the small. Because he did the shit
[39:31] Speaker 2: to get first game. He came back. He came in
[39:33] Speaker 2: and scored eight straight points. And I was like, damn, OK,
[39:36] Speaker 2: this is what you.
[39:37] Speaker 3: I was wrong.
[39:39] Speaker 2: But that's all.
[39:40] Speaker 4: Just get to it, sir. Time went on. Yeah.
[39:42] Speaker 2: Let's get to a certain spot and just shoot right.
[39:45] Speaker 3: Over it, man. Sufficient Wimby discussion.
[39:47] Speaker 1: Let's shift over to Ant-Man, though, for a second, if
[39:49] Speaker 1: you guys don't mind.
[39:52] Speaker 3: So he was expected to miss at least... And Wimby's
[39:54] Speaker 3: a Capricorn, so I'm Team Wimby now. He's a Capricorn.
[39:58] Speaker 3: January 4th. Just so you know.
[40:02] Speaker 4: Send him a birthday gift.
[40:03] Speaker 1: So Anthony Edwards was expected to miss at least the
[40:06] Speaker 1: first two games of this series while dealing with the
[40:08] Speaker 1: hyperextended left knee and bone bruise he suffered On April 25th,
[40:12] Speaker 1: with the Wolves already without Io DeSumo, Ant came back
[40:15] Speaker 1: earlier than expected to give his squad a boost. So
[40:18] Speaker 1: when you look at what Ant-Man was capable of doing,
[40:20] Speaker 1: only played 25 minutes, came off the bench, but 18 points,
[40:23] Speaker 1: had 11 of those in a five-minute stretch in the
[40:25] Speaker 1: fourth quarter. Y'all respect Anthony Edwards for playing through his
[40:28] Speaker 1: knee injury to be there for his team in game one,
[40:30] Speaker 1: or is this going to have long-term ramifications for the
[40:32] Speaker 1: Wolves in this series?
[40:37] Speaker 3: Extension, bone bruise. I mean, that's just the body itself,
[40:40] Speaker 3: how fast it recovers, right? It's no tears. I mean,
[40:45] Speaker 3: you got to respect it. It's the playoffs, right?
[40:47] Speaker 4: I mean, no, it's expected because it's the playoffs. You know,
[40:52] Speaker 4: you want to go out there and give your team
[40:54] Speaker 4: a chance to win.
[40:55] Speaker 3: I think.
[40:59] Speaker 4: Pretending to come back in the middle of the week
[41:01] Speaker 4: kind of helped him because I don't know if if
[41:05] Speaker 4: the Spurs really game plan for him, coming off the
[41:09] Speaker 4: bench and then bringing that Spurs.
[41:10] Speaker 3: It is Anthony Edwards. So, you know, once he comes in,
[41:13] Speaker 3: we know who's getting the ball. Ain't nothing changing. Right?
[41:16] Speaker 4: We know who's getting that ball. So, he came in,
[41:21] Speaker 4: did what he did. You know, had 10 points, you know,
[41:25] Speaker 4: early in that game.
[41:25] Speaker 3: And then the fourth quarter, he took over. Right? But
[41:28] Speaker 3: we know who they're going to.
[41:29] Speaker 5: Seven points. In the fourth quarter? And then in the
[41:32] Speaker 5: fourth quarter, he had 10. 10 points in the fourth quarter?
[41:35] Speaker 3: At 11.
[41:37] Speaker 2: At 11.
[41:37] Speaker 5: In five minutes. Start the quarter. Did I just read
[41:43] Speaker 5: what I said? Five for seven in the fourth quarter.
[41:45] Speaker 3: I reversed it. I reversed it. Let's stick together, coach.
[41:48] Speaker 3: They took over the fourth quarter. Okay. That's all that matters.
[41:50] Speaker 3: You feel me? You feel me?
[41:51] Speaker 4: That's all that matters. You know what I mean?
[41:53] Speaker 3: He did. You know?
[41:55] Speaker 4: Sacre bleu.
[41:56] Speaker 3: He did what others couldn't. Yeah. It is a way
[41:59] Speaker 3: of life.
[42:00] Speaker 1: We'll open up to the rest of the couch. From
[42:02] Speaker 1: what we've seen, obviously, you know, Tatum missing that game seven.
[42:05] Speaker 1: And B, obviously looking shaky now coming back after a
[42:08] Speaker 1: four-game stretch from the appendectomy. But will this have any
[42:12] Speaker 1: long-term issues for the Timberwolves in this series with Ann
[42:14] Speaker 1: trying to come back a little too early playing through
[42:16] Speaker 1: that bone bruise?
[42:17] Speaker 2: We'll only see, right? He went out there. He had
[42:19] Speaker 2: a few days off. He felt better than he had
[42:21] Speaker 2: in the previous days. We know that he is a competitor.
[42:28] Speaker 2: He loves his guys. He wants to go out and compete. Yeah, no,
[42:33] Speaker 2: it's just what is your pain threshold at this point, right?
[42:37] Speaker 2: How much can you tolerate? I'm pretty sure there are
[42:41] Speaker 2: things going on during the game. You saw him grimace
[42:43] Speaker 2: a few times, land jump, certain movements. It's going to
[42:46] Speaker 2: irritate it, but if you can tolerate it, you guys
[42:50] Speaker 2: need you, right? For you to try to go out
[42:52] Speaker 2: and do it, hey, it is what it is at
[42:54] Speaker 2: this point. Yeah, it's... Yeah, he's an intricate part of
[43:01] Speaker 2: what they're doing. You learn a lot about how Finch
[43:06] Speaker 2: is coaching. The job that he's doing, managing those minutes,
[43:09] Speaker 2: is not easy. So figuring that out, bringing it off
[43:12] Speaker 2: the bench to start the game. Yeah, I was wondering, yeah,
[43:18] Speaker 2: it was, is that the smartest move, let him warm
[43:21] Speaker 2: up and then go sit?
[43:22] Speaker 4: So that was my thought process. Can he cool off? Yeah,
[43:26] Speaker 4: but he young, man, so.
[43:29] Speaker 4: Durable.
[43:30] Speaker 2: Young and durable. Things heal faster the younger you are.
[43:35] Speaker 2: And good medicine now. Good medicine. Good medicine.
[43:40] Speaker 3: Just rub a little Hennessy on you.
[43:41] Speaker 2: You know what I'm talking about?
[43:43] Speaker 4: A little Tussin. A little Tussin. A little Tussin. You
[43:45] Speaker 4: know what I'm talking about?
[43:46] Speaker 3: It's a little bruise.
[43:47] Speaker 4: Yeah, a little Tussin.
[43:49] Speaker 1: So let's shift over to Spurs. Just one last thing
[43:51] Speaker 1: before we move on. So Spurs had two timeouts, but
[43:54] Speaker 1: Mitch Johnson opted to let the final possession play out.
[43:57] Speaker 4: Smart play.
[43:57] Speaker 1: He was asked about not taking A timeout on the
[43:59] Speaker 1: Spurs last position had this response.
[44:02] Speaker 12: On the last play, we just got a rebound, and
[44:04] Speaker 12: it felt like they weren't organized, and there was enough
[44:07] Speaker 12: time for us to push the ball and get a look,
[44:09] Speaker 12: and we didn't push it right away.
[44:11] Speaker 3: So it got to be that.
[44:15] Speaker 12: Death knock time where you got to call a timeout
[44:17] Speaker 12: or not. I thought Dylan did a good job pushing
[44:18] Speaker 12: the ball, kicking it at Julian. Julian had a fly-by,
[44:21] Speaker 12: got a three-pointer in rhythm.
[44:23] Speaker 2: I had no problem with the shot.
[44:24] Speaker 3: I thought it was a great shot. I hope he
[44:25] Speaker 3: shoots it every time.
[44:28] Speaker 4: L.A.
[44:28] Speaker 3: Looks maximum hold, too, on the right.
[44:30] Speaker 4: Very impressive.
[44:31] Speaker 3: Bashaw, I want to ask you, do you think that
[44:32] Speaker 3: was the right decision to let that possession play out? 100%.
[44:35] Speaker 4: I mean, I was straight.
[44:38] Speaker 9: I just knew it was going to be a good
[44:39] Speaker 9: shot based on how open he was and the speed
[44:43] Speaker 9: and just getting him off balance. That's exactly what you're
[44:46] Speaker 9: supposed to do as a player. Push the ball, and
[44:48] Speaker 9: as a coach, you're supposed to let it play out.
[44:49] Speaker 9: You know, unset defense. You got an opportunity to even
[44:54] Speaker 9: drive it to the lane, get a foul, and get
[44:56] Speaker 9: the two. You know, you definitely would want two, but
[44:59] Speaker 9: if you can send it home with three, which I
[45:01] Speaker 9: thought it was a good shot enough to do, it
[45:04] Speaker 9: was nice. But I think this particular series is making
[45:08] Speaker 9: me love the game a lot more than I used
[45:11] Speaker 9: to just simply because you got a competitor and a
[45:13] Speaker 9: man that's playing through injury. And I think that if
[45:16] Speaker 9: you want to call him a competitor, then you got
[45:18] Speaker 9: to look at the gauge of all the other guys
[45:20] Speaker 9: who are not doing the same type of things that
[45:23] Speaker 9: he's doing as far as fighting through injury. Severity of
[45:25] Speaker 9: the injury is important, of course. But if you can play,
[45:28] Speaker 9: you can play. And I think Ant-Man is exhibiting that
[45:31] Speaker 9: in this series. So when you look at the Spurs
[45:34] Speaker 9: being able to have an opportunity to win down the line,
[45:36] Speaker 9: it makes it good for the game. Like everything right
[45:39] Speaker 9: now in the playoffs, we've had like three game sevens.
[45:43] Speaker 9: A lot of series advances further than they ever had
[45:45] Speaker 9: in the first one.
[45:46] Speaker 3: Man, I think tonight's the biggest.
[45:48] Speaker 9: Right now it's just... Yeah, NBC. It's a good place.
[45:51] Speaker 9: The game is in a good place right now. You know,
[45:54] Speaker 9: there's a lot of critique we can give, but as
[45:56] Speaker 9: far as the Spurs being able to not get this one,
[46:00] Speaker 9: I think it creates more drama and the conversation around
[46:03] Speaker 9: all of it. And you got two stars that respect
[46:06] Speaker 9: each other playing against each other, Ant-Man and Wimby. And
[46:09] Speaker 9: I think that's going to drive the engagement up a
[46:12] Speaker 9: lot more and going to be prepared to be more critical.
[46:16] Speaker 9: I think just as the series goes, And these rounds continue.
[46:19] Speaker 9: I think the more critical we are, not necessarily in
[46:22] Speaker 9: real time, but just throughout the whole series of how
[46:25] Speaker 9: the game can progress based on what we think, I
[46:28] Speaker 9: think it's going to make it more entertaining for sure.
[46:30] Speaker 1: Well, let's take a look at that last possession just
[46:33] Speaker 1: for your guys. Viewing pleasure, if you don't mind. Randall
[46:38] Speaker 1: misses a shot. Wimby looks like he thinks the Spurs
[46:42] Speaker 1: are going to call timeout, then sprints up the court
[46:45] Speaker 1: once he realizes they're not. But you got Darren Fox
[46:48] Speaker 1: on that court. You got Victor Wimbonyama on that court. See,
[46:50] Speaker 1: this is when the deferring shit comes into play, right?
[46:53] Speaker 1: You got a guard with the ball, right? Dylan Harper
[46:55] Speaker 1: got the rebound, right? Why throw it to the 7-5 guy?
[46:59] Speaker 1: For him to throw it right back to you, like, no,
[47:00] Speaker 1: this is your job to bring it up. Right, that
[47:03] Speaker 1: was wasted a little. That's why he said he didn't
[47:05] Speaker 1: push it right away. What Mitchell said, he didn't push
[47:07] Speaker 1: it right away. So now you in that window, do
[47:09] Speaker 1: you call timeout or not? But no, I guess a
[47:12] Speaker 1: good defensive team in Minnesota, you only scored 102 up
[47:14] Speaker 1: to that point. Hey, why would you want, I'm not
[47:18] Speaker 1: going to get that set defense. I'm saying, I think
[47:20] Speaker 1: it was the right play. I think letting it play
[47:22] Speaker 1: out the way it did. Um, your leading three point
[47:25] Speaker 1: shooter had a great shot. Um, he's made more threes
[47:29] Speaker 1: than anybody in Spurs history. So I'm living with him
[47:32] Speaker 1: shooting that ball.
[47:33] Speaker 3: Right.
[47:34] Speaker 2: Um, if it was a catch and shoot situation with
[47:36] Speaker 2: a lot better, the rhythm of the dribble, I think
[47:38] Speaker 2: it could have either went either way, but great look,
[47:41] Speaker 2: great decision not to call a timeout. Um, to go
[47:44] Speaker 2: against that good of a set defense. Yeah, so I
[47:48] Speaker 2: think it was a right play, good shot. You live
[47:51] Speaker 2: with the result.
[47:51] Speaker 5: I don't think he passed it to Wimmy because he
[47:52] Speaker 5: thought that, you know, it's Wimmy time. It's Wimmy time.
[47:56] Speaker 2: But you're a 7'5 guy with the game on the line.
[47:58] Speaker 2: You're a guard.
[47:58] Speaker 3: You can do that.
[48:00] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's inexperience.
[48:01] Speaker 7: Experience.
[48:01] Speaker 2: It's inexperience.
[48:02] Speaker 4: He's a rookie.
[48:03] Speaker 3: I like shit like that.
[48:04] Speaker 10: Like the inexperience of it is going to like shit
[48:07] Speaker 10: like that is going to be.
[48:08] Speaker 4: Yeah, he a rookie. He threw it to the 75 guy.
[48:10] Speaker 3: Say it again. Everything is inexperience. For them? For who?
[48:14] Speaker 7: If you know your team is inexperienced like that, call timeout.
[48:17] Speaker 4: Hmm.
[48:19] Speaker 2: Like I said, they paused, so he got a decision
[48:21] Speaker 2: to make, right? So he made the other decision. The
[48:24] Speaker 2: hesitation with him not pushing it right away, like he said,
[48:27] Speaker 2: they paused. He didn't push it right away. So now
[48:30] Speaker 2: I'm in the decision, do I call a timeout or not?
[48:34] Speaker 2: So he made the decision not to.
[48:35] Speaker 5: But he paused because he gave it to win because
[48:38] Speaker 5: that's the start.
[48:39] Speaker 4: Of the game.
[48:40] Speaker 5: That's what you're supposed to do as a rookie.
[48:42] Speaker 4: No, it ain't.
[48:44] Speaker 3: No, it ain't. Listen, he should have got it.
[48:47] Speaker 4: Give it to the 75, guys.
[48:49] Speaker 5: So as a rookie, if I didn't throw it to you,
[48:51] Speaker 5: what would you have done if I would have just
[48:53] Speaker 5: took it?
[48:53] Speaker 4: Is he 75? You threw it to me. If you
[48:55] Speaker 4: would have threw it to Brennan. That's a star. If
[48:57] Speaker 4: you would have threw the ball to Brennan Hayward. Small
[49:00] Speaker 4: force bring it up. If you would have threw the
[49:01] Speaker 4: ball to Brennan Hayward, what would you have did with it?
[49:02] Speaker 4: Brennan ain't a star.
[49:04] Speaker 3: Threw it back to you.
[49:04] Speaker 9: He's the five man.
[49:06] Speaker 7: But he ain't the star of the team. If Wimmy
[49:07] Speaker 7: can dribble, let's call back.
[49:08] Speaker 4: Be the same.
[49:09] Speaker 7: Drive past everybody. Call him the drive past.
[49:13] Speaker 4: And he has brought it up. And he has brought
[49:15] Speaker 4: it up and shot the game winner before.
[49:18] Speaker 3: So if Maxie had the ball.
[49:20] Speaker 10: and then Embiid was there, would it be smart to
[49:22] Speaker 10: pass it back to Embiid or Maxie take off and go?
[49:24] Speaker 2: Hold on, guess what the facts are though. Yo, guess
[49:26] Speaker 2: what the facts are. He threw him the ball and
[49:29] Speaker 2: guess what Embiid did with it.
[49:30] Speaker 4: Yo. The facts are, guess what? He threw it to him,
[49:34] Speaker 4: and guess what Wimby did with it? Threw it right
[49:35] Speaker 4: back to him.
[49:36] Speaker 2: Threw it right back to him.
[49:37] Speaker 7: That's where he messed up at.
[49:39] Speaker 4: All time out. No, what he's.
[49:42] Speaker 3: Saying is he should have just.
[49:43] Speaker 4: Took off and gone.
[49:44] Speaker 3: You're the guard. You're the guard.
[49:45] Speaker 7: I got to give it to my star player.
[49:47] Speaker 4: You're the guard.
[49:48] Speaker 3: No, man.
[49:49] Speaker 7: He didn't stop.
[49:50] Speaker 3: Wimby come down and do what?
[49:51] Speaker 4: Shoot a three for gas? Yes, he does.
[49:53] Speaker 3: He's got it.
[49:53] Speaker 4: He's got a better shot. He's got a better shot.
[49:56] Speaker 4: Two time out.
[49:57] Speaker 3: He's got a better shot.
[49:58] Speaker 4: Guess where they got to take the ball out at?
[49:59] Speaker 4: Once they don't get it.
[50:01] Speaker 3: Guess where they got to take the ball out at?
[50:03] Speaker 2: If they don't get to advance it, they got to
[50:05] Speaker 2: take it out where he dribbled it at and passed
[50:07] Speaker 2: the win in front of their bench.
[50:09] Speaker 4: Can he burn the second one if he don't get
[50:13] Speaker 4: it in?
[50:14] Speaker 3: He can handle the ball.
[50:16] Speaker 7: He did a whole summer with the ball.
[50:17] Speaker 4: They would have gave the ball back to him.
[50:18] Speaker 7: He was doing sham gods in the beginning of the season.
[50:21] Speaker 7: He was acting like he can't dribble now.
[50:22] Speaker 2: If he would have called a timeout.
[50:24] Speaker 3: His ass couldn't dribble in that game. You just told
[50:27] Speaker 3: him to dribble.
[50:28] Speaker 4: That's all he was doing.
[50:30] Speaker 7: You told him to stand still and post up.
[50:32] Speaker 3: You know what? That was the smartest shit his ass
[50:34] Speaker 3: ever did. Ever?
[50:36] Speaker 4: Did you see his offense in the fourth quarter? The
[50:39] Speaker 4: last thing he wanted to do was get the ball
[50:41] Speaker 4: and sit there and try to come down there because
[50:44] Speaker 4: he was going to shoot a three.
[50:45] Speaker 3: He was going to shoot a three, so he would
[50:47] Speaker 3: have been 0 for 9.
[50:48] Speaker 4: So he gave it there. You dribble. First of all,
[50:52] Speaker 4: his ass probably wouldn't have gotten up there. I was
[50:54] Speaker 4: just about to say that. They were going to pressure him.
[50:56] Speaker 4: He was tired already.
[50:58] Speaker 3: He was tired.
[50:59] Speaker 4: Can we run it back again? One more time, please.
[51:01] Speaker 4: Can we run it back again? Run it back while
[51:04] Speaker 4: I ask Gil this question. Gil, what the rules? Here
[51:06] Speaker 4: we go. Look, look, look.
[51:07] Speaker 3: He dribbles it, right?
[51:08] Speaker 4: Time out.
[51:09] Speaker 3: He didn't dribble it.
[51:10] Speaker 4: Fox right there.
[51:11] Speaker 3: Fox calling for the ball.
[51:13] Speaker 4: We didn't throw it to him. He threw it to
[51:15] Speaker 4: the guy and he threw it back to him. Because
[51:16] Speaker 4: the other guy was open.
[51:17] Speaker 3: One more time.
[51:19] Speaker 2: But he didn't dribble it, so it didn't matter. He's
[51:21] Speaker 2: still advancing.
[51:22] Speaker 4: He's advancing, yeah.
[51:22] Speaker 2: But if he would have dribbled it, he got to
[51:24] Speaker 2: take it out right there.
[51:24] Speaker 3: One more kick.
[51:25] Speaker 4: Could he call another?
[51:25] Speaker 2: Could he burn one more after? If he don't get
[51:27] Speaker 2: it in, he can burn it up.
[51:28] Speaker 4: But he got to. Time out.
[51:29] Speaker 3: Time out.
[51:30] Speaker 4: All right. All right.
[51:32] Speaker 3: You're open.
[51:33] Speaker 4: Time out. Oh, they didn't call that.
[51:34] Speaker 3: Listen.
[51:35] Speaker 4: Give it to Fox for one. One. There's nothing wrong
[51:40] Speaker 4: with this. They've just came back. They got a steal.
[51:45] Speaker 4: They got an easy bucket. The momentum is on their side.
[51:49] Speaker 4: So because the momentum is on their side, they got
[51:51] Speaker 4: another stop. You call a timeout and let that team
[51:56] Speaker 4: set their defense up with the fucking offense y'all been
[51:58] Speaker 4: having all day. We don't know what play you was
[52:00] Speaker 4: going to call. You would have called something dumb. So there,
[52:04] Speaker 4: I will let you do that because at the end
[52:07] Speaker 4: of the day, There was a great shot.
[52:10] Speaker 7: From right here to Wimmy in the post, like y'all said.
[52:14] Speaker 4: Turn and shoot. Turn and shoot.
[52:15] Speaker 3: When did he do it?
[52:16] Speaker 7: All right, Wimmy, just turn and shoot.
[52:19] Speaker 4: Can you play? I got my better shooter.
[52:23] Speaker 3: Right now, he's 7-4-11.
[52:24] Speaker 7: What other play can I do?
[52:26] Speaker 4: Let's get it back. Let's get it back. Anywhere you
[52:29] Speaker 4: want to play that you ask him to run, go
[52:31] Speaker 4: turn and let him shoot.
[52:32] Speaker 3: He ain't did that shit yet. Rewind it back.
[52:33] Speaker 4: Hold on.
[52:34] Speaker 3: We're talking about the shot.
[52:39] Speaker 4: I have my best shooter on the court who's having
[52:42] Speaker 4: a great game right now.
[52:44] Speaker 3: Now play it, play it, and pause it. Oh, my God. No, no.
[52:48] Speaker 3: After he gets, after he pump fakes.
[52:52] Speaker 2: Oh, Lord.
[52:52] Speaker 4: Right there. You telling me? I'm sorry.
[52:56] Speaker 3: That's a good shot.
[52:56] Speaker 2: That's the best shot you can get.
[52:57] Speaker 3: That's the best shot you can get, you can have,
[53:00] Speaker 3: you will want. I'm wanting that.
[53:02] Speaker 4: Yeah, of course you want that. Hell yeah, you want
[53:04] Speaker 4: to shoot that. I don't want that, no.
[53:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, you know you don't.
[53:06] Speaker 4: He with us. Who? Who?
[53:07] Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying.
[53:09] Speaker 4: Who led the team in three-point shooting?
[53:11] Speaker 3: You're saying Champagne is with us? Julian Champagne.
[53:14] Speaker 4: Yes.
[53:15] Speaker 3: And he's shooting like 57%? Who is 7'4, 11 at
[53:18] Speaker 3: that moment in time? Step back. I don't give a
[53:20] Speaker 3: fuck what he do.
[53:21] Speaker 4: At this point, at this point in the playoff, a
[53:23] Speaker 4: chance to win at home, anybody on that court that
[53:27] Speaker 4: has this wide open of.
[53:28] Speaker 3: A shot, I'm cool with it.
[53:30] Speaker 4: Because there was nothing that I can draw up. You
[53:35] Speaker 4: said it's good for that. There's nothing that I can
[53:38] Speaker 4: draw up.
[53:40] Speaker 7: After a timeout, after my superstar having a bad game,
[53:44] Speaker 7: I don't want to put the ball in his hands.
[53:46] Speaker 4: He had it. Let's try this again. He's a superstar.
[53:50] Speaker 4: He's an MVP.
[53:51] Speaker 3: Bro, shut up already.
[53:52] Speaker 4: He has the ball. I'll give it to him. That's
[53:54] Speaker 4: what he did. I don't want my star dribbling in
[53:57] Speaker 4: a fucking full court, dog. What the fuck are you
[53:59] Speaker 4: talking about?
[54:01] Speaker 9: Why do they let him dribble in full court?
[54:03] Speaker 4: He does it all the time. He does it all
[54:06] Speaker 4: the time. That's what he does when he catches it.
[54:09] Speaker 4: He gets the rebound. So the guy gave him the rebound.
[54:13] Speaker 4: Harper got the rebound and gave it to Wimby. So
[54:16] Speaker 4: Wimby could go.
[54:17] Speaker 9: Wimby looked at Fox because he want Fox to have it.
[54:21] Speaker 9: Fox has somebody in front of him. So he looked
[54:23] Speaker 9: to the other side and said, you go.
[54:25] Speaker 4: Nobody's in front of you. Because no one's in front
[54:29] Speaker 4: of you. So somebody was in front of Wimby? Yes.
[54:31] Speaker 3: Who?
[54:31] Speaker 1: Randall.
[54:32] Speaker 13: Go back.
[54:32] Speaker 4: Go back. Go back.
[54:39] Speaker 3: Damn, Randall. Look at that wide open shot. Y'all silly
[54:42] Speaker 3: as hell. There's no timeout play.
[54:43] Speaker 4: Y'all was going to draw.
[54:44] Speaker 3: There's no play y'all was going to call a timeout.
[54:47] Speaker 4: Where? Where?
[54:47] Speaker 3: Where?
[54:47] Speaker 4: Where? When he got the ball, who was in front
[54:49] Speaker 4: of him?
[54:50] Speaker 3: Okay.
[54:50] Speaker 4: Six seconds. So why did he dribble? Right there. Go back.
[54:53] Speaker 3: Go back.
[54:53] Speaker 4: Go back. Go the fuck back. Go to break. Rewind
[55:02] Speaker 4: this shit.
[55:03] Speaker 3: I thought you said Fox had somebody on it. He did.
[55:08] Speaker 4: Right there, bro.
[55:09] Speaker 3: Go, go, go.
[55:10] Speaker 4: Slow, please. Go, please. Number one running back. Shannon running back.
[55:17] Speaker 4: When we got the ball.
[55:18] Speaker 7: That's a steal.
[55:19] Speaker 3: Stop it.
[55:19] Speaker 4: Why would he throw Fox the ball right here?
[55:22] Speaker 1: Keep going.
[55:22] Speaker 4: Keep going.
[55:23] Speaker 3: Who's my point guard?
[55:24] Speaker 4: Why would he throw Fox the.
[55:25] Speaker 3: Ball right there? That's a steal.
[55:26] Speaker 4: It's the same amount of space. Why would he throw
[55:28] Speaker 4: Fox the ball?
[55:29] Speaker 3: He would not throw Fox the ball. He's looking back
[55:31] Speaker 3: at it. That's a steal.
[55:32] Speaker 4: What's a steal? Yes. Sander is looking right at him.
[55:34] Speaker 4: I'm waiting for you.
[55:35] Speaker 3: To throw the ball. Moving back.
[55:37] Speaker 4: That nigga play cornerback?
[55:38] Speaker 3: Moving back.
[55:39] Speaker 4: Yes, he play corner. That nigga's actually in his club.
[55:41] Speaker 4: He play cornerback. Nigga, please. That nigga running this way.
[55:46] Speaker 4: Even if he tried to attempt to make that steal
[55:48] Speaker 4: and stopped.
[55:50] Speaker 3: Fox would have blew by him. That would have been a.
[55:52] Speaker 4: That's risky. I'm wondering why Fox didn't come back and
[55:57] Speaker 4: get the ball.
[55:57] Speaker 9: Because Harper was already ahead.
[55:59] Speaker 4: You're the fastest person on the court and you were
[56:01] Speaker 4: going to get to the rim.
[56:02] Speaker 2: Back to my question. Why didn't your guy... You said,
[56:05] Speaker 2: why didn't he dribble the bitch up?
[56:06] Speaker 3: He's a star. He don't have these.
[56:09] Speaker 4: The star had the ball.
[56:10] Speaker 3: He don't have these. The star had the ball.
[56:13] Speaker 4: I want to get the ball to my star. The
[56:15] Speaker 4: star had the fucking ball.
[56:16] Speaker 3: And they told us last week, Dee Fox is a superstar.
[56:18] Speaker 3: So why he didn't go get it?
[56:21] Speaker 4: You got to have cojones in the playoffs.
[56:23] Speaker 3: It is single demand.
[56:24] Speaker 4: It's a big man game.
[56:25] Speaker 3: No, no.
[56:26] Speaker 4: It's a big boy game, but your big boy draws all.
[56:29] Speaker 7: Julius ran a dumbass shot.
[56:31] Speaker 3: We don't care about the big boy.
[56:32] Speaker 4: Now you're going to blame somebody else for winning. Now
[56:35] Speaker 4: you're going to blame somebody else.
[56:37] Speaker 9: Now you're going to blame somebody else.
[56:40] Speaker 4: Now you're going to blame somebody else.
[56:42] Speaker 3: He has the ball. I know. He didn't even dribble.
[56:45] Speaker 4: What do we need to dribble for?
[56:47] Speaker 3: It's wide open. I'm scared now.
[56:49] Speaker 4: Yo, look how much space he would have had in
[56:53] Speaker 4: the floor.
[56:54] Speaker 3: He still ain't in the picture yet.
[56:55] Speaker 9: Y'all said some people was going to be trying to
[56:57] Speaker 9: steal the ball from him.
[56:58] Speaker 4: Y'all just said it.
[56:59] Speaker 3: He would have brought it up. They'd have been all
[57:00] Speaker 3: up on him, but stealing the ball.
[57:01] Speaker 4: And nobody was there.
[57:03] Speaker 3: That's why he threw the ball up.
[57:05] Speaker 4: Yeah. Still great shot. Six seconds.
[57:07] Speaker 3: The best shot you're going to get.
[57:08] Speaker 4: That's the best shot anyone should want in the playoffs to.
[57:12] Speaker 3: Win the game.
[57:12] Speaker 4: He couldn't have drew it up any better. How many
[57:13] Speaker 4: game winners have you ever seen this wide open?
[57:17] Speaker 3: See how short that was?
[57:18] Speaker 4: Yeah. It was a good try. If A-Man Thompson had
[57:24] Speaker 4: that shot as a coach, I'll be fine with it.
[57:29] Speaker 4: You know how stupid you got to be to go
[57:32] Speaker 4: to timeout and set your defense and then give up
[57:35] Speaker 4: this wide open of a shot as a defense? You
[57:38] Speaker 4: don't get these.
[57:39] Speaker 3: Shots, man.
[57:40] Speaker 4: You don't get these shots.
[57:41] Speaker 3: You don't get.
[57:42] Speaker 4: Open shots to the best player, your best shooter.
[57:45] Speaker 3: All these games. Your best shooter?
[57:48] Speaker 4: Your best shooter?
[57:51] Speaker 3: 100% you run it back every single time.
[57:54] Speaker 2: They'll take that look every time.
[57:56] Speaker 3: They'll take that.
[57:58] Speaker 2: Look every single 100 out of 100 times. They'll take
[58:02] Speaker 2: that look with him shooting it.
[58:06] Speaker 4: Champagne ain't my best three-point shooter?
[58:08] Speaker 3: What? Absolutely.
[58:08] Speaker 4: This ain't my worst, my best shooter. But he was.
[58:15] Speaker 4: None of them are. 195 made threes.
[58:16] Speaker 3: They should be comfortable in that situation. 195 threes on
[58:19] Speaker 3: the season.
[58:19] Speaker 4: Let's keep this thing moving.
[58:20] Speaker 7: Most of our players on the Spurs have been in
[58:22] Speaker 7: that situation.
[58:23] Speaker 4: Who?
[58:36] Speaker 3: Clutch play of the year. Don't they have one of those?
[58:38] Speaker 3: De'Aaron Fox 2020. I said that.
[58:39] Speaker 1: I said, why didn't De'Aaron Fox hit the ball? Just
[58:41] Speaker 1: one game, but the Wolves have stolen game one. A
[58:44] Speaker 1: lot more serious.
[58:45] Speaker 3: Young stuff.
[58:45] Speaker 1: Left to be played. Let's keep this thing moving. Today's podcast. Hey,
[58:52] Speaker 1: I don't want you to take it. I don't want
[58:54] Speaker 1: you to take it.
[58:58] Speaker 4: Hey.
[58:58] Speaker 9: Hey. That same young shit.
[59:01] Speaker 4: Got the best shot they was going to get.
[59:03] Speaker 3: I know, right?
[59:04] Speaker 4: That's so weird.
[59:05] Speaker 7: Like the young shit.
[59:07] Speaker 4: But that's the best shot. I don't understand it. Get
[59:10] Speaker 4: the ball to the star.
[59:13] Speaker 9: Yeah, the star had the bitch and the star passed
[59:14] Speaker 9: it to the rookie. And they still got the best
[59:16] Speaker 9: shot they was gonna get. Because the rookie made the
[59:18] Speaker 9: right decision, not the star. The rookie made the right play,
[59:21] Speaker 9: not the star. The star gave the ball to the rookie,
[59:23] Speaker 9: but the star had it.
[59:25] Speaker 4: He gave it back to him. Who made the right decision? No,
[59:27] Speaker 4: but Nick wants you to draw something.
[59:28] Speaker 1: No, no, no.
[59:28] Speaker 3: Throw the ball to the star. Call the timeout. Throw
[59:30] Speaker 3: the ball to the star.
[59:31] Speaker 4: Wimby made the right decision.
[59:33] Speaker 3: They don't want to be bald. He's a star.
[59:34] Speaker 4: That's not what he said.
[59:36] Speaker 7: That's not what he said at all.
[59:38] Speaker 9: He said, if we not going to call the timeout
[59:41] Speaker 9: on the rebound, you might as well let Wimby push
[59:44] Speaker 9: it up.
[59:44] Speaker 4: But that's what Nick was.
[59:45] Speaker 3: Saying from the beginning. Yeah, that was wrong.
[59:48] Speaker 4: Give it to your star. Give it to him. He
[59:50] Speaker 4: had it. And he threw it back to the thing.
[59:52] Speaker 4: So Wimby made the right play. I don't want it.
[59:56] Speaker 3: I'm not ready for it.
[59:57] Speaker 4: I'm having a bad game. They got a great shot.
[1:00:00] Speaker 4: That's it.
[1:00:02] Speaker 9: I don't understand how that's bad on Wimby. No one
[1:00:04] Speaker 9: said that's bad on Wimby. You just said he didn't
[1:00:07] Speaker 9: want it.
[1:00:07] Speaker 4: He didn't. He passed it.
[1:00:09] Speaker 3: Y'all said the star player should have the ball.
[1:00:12] Speaker 4: He had the ball.
[1:00:13] Speaker 3: And he passed it away.
[1:00:15] Speaker 4: He made the right play. Did he not?
[1:00:17] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:00:17] Speaker 4: Okay, cool. They say that about Bron all the time, right? Huh?
[1:00:20] Speaker 2: Bron has the ball, and when he passed over shooters,
[1:00:22] Speaker 2: and he said he made the right play, right?
[1:00:23] Speaker 3: If they make that shot, Wimby did a great play.
[1:00:25] Speaker 3: Either way, that was a great play by Wimby. I'm sorry.
[1:00:28] Speaker 3: That's a great play. That was a great pass, though, right? Yeah. Cool.

[1:02:00] Speaker 4: What?
[1:02:02] Speaker 3: I know. That's what I'm saying. Why? I wanted to
[1:02:04] Speaker 3: ask him why. Well, it is what it is. Be confused.
[1:02:10] Speaker 3: Talk about to the watch parties we've been having. Watch parties.
[1:02:13] Speaker 3: You've been taking roll all the way.
[1:02:15] Speaker 4: What you doing?
[1:02:15] Speaker 3: About to pop this robe. About to go see the boys.
[1:02:18] Speaker 3: Shoot the fellas. About to go watch this party.
[1:02:21] Speaker 4: Yeah. I'm not coming tonight. You didn't hear him the
[1:02:30] Speaker 4: first time? Man, I thought it was about to be
[1:02:32] Speaker 4: a party. He was rolled up. He was rolled up.
[1:02:37] Speaker 9: He had the back door shredded. Not if they're having
[1:02:39] Speaker 9: these kind of conversations. I'm staying at the crib.
[1:02:43] Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, if you were happy to see Gil
[1:02:45] Speaker 1: back in the arena, go ahead and hit that like button.
[1:02:46] Speaker 3: For us, trying to see if.
[1:02:47] Speaker 4: It still works.
[1:02:48] Speaker 3: That little ways.
[1:02:50] Speaker 1: Swaggy, no truth to the rumor that you popped roast
[1:02:53] Speaker 1: barks before you come to Gil's Arena.
[1:02:54] Speaker 3: Before I come to Gil's house, yeah.
[1:02:56] Speaker 4: Before I go to Gil's house, yeah. Was he mad
[1:03:00] Speaker 4: the first time?
[1:03:00] Speaker 3: He was mad at the watch.
[1:03:02] Speaker 4: Party last time, right?
[1:03:04] Speaker 3: Not on Cinco de Mayo.
[1:03:06] Speaker 4: Don't be telling our business like this. What's that all about?
[1:03:10] Speaker 4: You ought to be a new agent founder. That's when
[1:03:12] Speaker 4: you pop. What y'all got going on over there in.
[1:03:17] Speaker 3: Willard Hills, man? None of your business.
[1:03:20] Speaker 4: I'm glad it ain't.
[1:03:22] Speaker 3: Hey, listen.
[1:03:22] Speaker 4: I'm actually glad it ain't.
[1:03:24] Speaker 3: Y'all golfing, we golfing, too.
[1:03:25] Speaker 2: Tee up.
[1:03:25] Speaker 3: Let's tee up. All right. All right.
[1:03:32] Speaker 9: All right.
[1:03:32] Speaker 3: Easter conference.
[1:03:34] Speaker 1: Sixers did the unthinkable in their first-round series win over
[1:03:37] Speaker 1: the Celtics, coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win
[1:03:39] Speaker 1: three straight games, including a thriller in Game 7 in
[1:03:43] Speaker 1: the Garden. Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxson became the first
[1:03:45] Speaker 1: duo to each have 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5
[1:03:48] Speaker 1: assists in a Game 7 in NBA history. So before
[1:03:51] Speaker 1: this playoff, the Sixers were 0-18 in franchise history when
[1:03:54] Speaker 1: trailing 3-1 in a series. Hadn't won a playoff series
[1:03:56] Speaker 1: against the Celtics since 1982.
[1:03:57] Speaker 4: Damn.
[1:03:57] Speaker 3: Since 1982, Gil. A great brand and a great year.
[1:04:02] Speaker 1: Meanwhile, the Knicks bounced back from a 2-1 deficit to
[1:04:05] Speaker 1: the Hawks with three straight wins, including a 51-point blowout
[1:04:08] Speaker 1: in Game 6 in Atlanta that was the largest win
[1:04:10] Speaker 1: in franchise playoff history. Knicks' 47-point lead at halftime was
[1:04:14] Speaker 1: also an NBA record. The Phillies had a quick turnaround
[1:04:17] Speaker 1: after their Game 7 win, and New York took advantage
[1:04:19] Speaker 1: to put belt to ass in the series opener. So,
[1:04:22] Speaker 1: with Jalen Bunsen coming through with another legendary performance to
[1:04:25] Speaker 1: propel his team to the win, let's take a look
[1:04:27] Speaker 1: at the highlights, son.
[1:04:29] Speaker 3: So.
[1:04:30] Speaker 4: Brunson got to work early.
[1:04:31] Speaker 1: And often, dropping 14 points in the first quarter as
[1:04:34] Speaker 1: the Knicks took an eight-point lead after the first frame.
[1:04:40] Speaker 3: Look at him.
[1:04:40] Speaker 4: Oh. Oh. There we go.
[1:04:44] Speaker 3: Some more Jalen Brunson for your viewing pleasure. There we go. Oh,
[1:04:50] Speaker 3: look at that. OG doing it, too.
[1:04:53] Speaker 1: So, Knicks were up 10 in the second quarter before
[1:04:56] Speaker 1: going on an 8-0 run to take control of the game.
[1:05:00] Speaker 1: Brunson continued cooking in the second frame, scoring 27 of
[1:05:04] Speaker 1: his game-high 35 points in the first half. He had
[1:05:07] Speaker 1: 11 straight points to cap off the second quarter as
[1:05:10] Speaker 1: his squad took a 23-point lead.
[1:05:12] Speaker 3: Into the half.
[1:05:13] Speaker 4: O.J.
[1:05:13] Speaker 1: Ananobi added 18 points on 7 of 8 shooting. Cat
[1:05:16] Speaker 1: and Mikael Bridges both had 17 points on a combined
[1:05:18] Speaker 1: 14 of 21 shooting. Sixers offense left much to be desired.
[1:05:23] Speaker 1: Paul George led Philly with a team-high 17 points. But
[1:05:26] Speaker 1: Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey combined for just 27 points
[1:05:29] Speaker 1: On six for 20. Shooting and B struggled defensively as
[1:05:33] Speaker 1: well as the Knicks put them in pick and rolls
[1:05:35] Speaker 1: on damn near every possession. Knicks were plus 13 in
[1:05:38] Speaker 1: fast break points, plus 26 in points in the paint.
[1:05:41] Speaker 1: New York, led by as much as 40 in the game,
[1:05:44] Speaker 1: went on to get the 39-point win while shooting a
[1:05:48] Speaker 1: franchise record. 63% from the field, 51% from three. Knicks
[1:05:52] Speaker 1: are the first team in NBA history to win three
[1:05:54] Speaker 1: straight playoff games by at least 25 points.
[1:05:57] Speaker 3: Also, the first.
[1:05:59] Speaker 1: team to lead three straight playoff games by at least
[1:06:02] Speaker 1: 30 points in the play-by-play area. So Jalen Brunson, Tyrese
[1:06:06] Speaker 1: Maxey had this reaction to game one of this series.
[1:06:12] Speaker 1: Do you feel you guys are hitting a peak right here?
[1:06:16] Speaker 3: I hope not.
[1:06:17] Speaker 13: Honestly, you've got to take this game with a grain
[1:06:19] Speaker 13: of salt and just kind of move forward. I don't
[1:06:26] Speaker 13: think we're going to see that team They'll be still
[1:06:28] Speaker 13: in game one and game two.
[1:06:29] Speaker 3: They're going to be ready to go. It doesn't matter.
[1:06:31] Speaker 11: If we lose by seven or 70, it doesn't really matter.
[1:06:35] Speaker 11: They won one game, and we lost one game. Like
[1:06:38] Speaker 11: you said, we're going to make some adjustments, and we'll
[1:06:40] Speaker 11: be ready for game two. Game one doesn't carry over
[1:06:44] Speaker 11: to game two, and we'll be ready to play.
[1:06:48] Speaker 3: We'll start with you on the eastern side.
[1:06:50] Speaker 1: What are the biggest takeaways from the Knicks' game one
[1:06:53] Speaker 1: win over the Sixers, 39-point blowout? Three straight playoff wins
[1:06:57] Speaker 1: by 25 plus points.
[1:06:59] Speaker 4: I mean, he's right about, you know, losing by five
[1:07:02] Speaker 4: or losing by 55, right?
[1:07:03] Speaker 3: It's the loss on paper. That soul was hurt right here.
[1:07:11] Speaker 4: And exactly what New York did is exactly the game plan.
[1:07:19] Speaker 4: And B, man, he's such a great player. but just
[1:07:25] Speaker 4: been injured so much that he hasn't gotten himself in
[1:07:30] Speaker 4: shape to really play in the playoffs. And it showed
[1:07:33] Speaker 4: in the last series. In the fourth quarter, he always
[1:07:37] Speaker 4: gasses out. That used to be the old saying about him.
[1:07:41] Speaker 4: In the fourth quarter, he's going to gas out. He's
[1:07:43] Speaker 4: going to take a bunch of just random shots. He
[1:07:48] Speaker 4: did it in the Boston series, and he didn't even
[1:07:50] Speaker 4: have to play defense against anybody. So the fact that
[1:07:54] Speaker 4: His knee was bothering him then. And he had a
[1:07:58] Speaker 4: bunch of knee scares in that series. While he didn't
[1:08:02] Speaker 4: really have to guard nobody in that series, this series
[1:08:06] Speaker 4: is going to test him because he has to play defense.
[1:08:08] Speaker 4: So he has to play offense and defense. And at
[1:08:12] Speaker 4: any moment, he's going to be done for the series.
[1:08:18] Speaker 4: Because every fall, you got to worry about his knee.
[1:08:20] Speaker 4: Every bump, every tweak move. And Cat is going to
[1:08:24] Speaker 4: push him to the limits. He's not in physical peak.
[1:08:31] Speaker 4: He missed the majority of the season. He missed the
[1:08:33] Speaker 4: beginning of the playoff. He's not in physical condition to
[1:08:38] Speaker 4: keep up with this group. They're going to run him
[1:08:41] Speaker 4: through pick and rolls. They're going to do what Tony
[1:08:45] Speaker 4: Parker and Steve Nash is doing.
[1:08:46] Speaker 3: They just bop. All right, you're coming off injury. Bop.
[1:08:48] Speaker 3: We're going to keep.
[1:08:49] Speaker 4: We're just going to extend this pick and roll until
[1:08:52] Speaker 4: you just get tired.
[1:08:53] Speaker 3: So in the fourth quarter, you don't have anything.
[1:08:55] Speaker 4: Right? So it's it's sad because three years ago you're
[1:09:01] Speaker 4: arguing who was the best player on the planet and
[1:09:05] Speaker 4: the fact that it's Jokic right now and he's sitting
[1:09:10] Speaker 4: back like ah man only if right and that's how
[1:09:14] Speaker 4: good he is that on half a leg he's still
[1:09:17] Speaker 4: the MVP candidate But, you know, he didn't get enough
[1:09:21] Speaker 4: prep time to really push his body to the limit
[1:09:25] Speaker 4: to be able to keep up with this.
[1:09:27] Speaker 3: They're going to just run him to death. It was
[1:09:30] Speaker 3: his fifth game in nine days.
[1:09:32] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's... So if it.
[1:09:36] Speaker 2: You got to.
[1:09:40] Speaker 2: Yeah, Nick, there's nothing to take away from the game. Like, basketball-wise,
[1:09:44] Speaker 2: it was a blowout. They lost about 40, right?
[1:09:46] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:09:47] Speaker 2: My thing was, it was such a quick turnaround from
[1:09:51] Speaker 2: Saturday to Monday.
[1:09:54] Speaker 3: On a high, too.
[1:09:55] Speaker 2: On a high, right? I'm sitting Joel Gaines. If I'm them,
[1:10:01] Speaker 2: two weeks off an appendectomy, like, he still ain't, like,
[1:10:04] Speaker 2: that man had surgery.
[1:10:06] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[1:10:06] Speaker 3: Right?
[1:10:08] Speaker 2: He was struggling with it in the Boston series. The
[1:10:10] Speaker 2: knee thing, he got hyperextended slightly a few times. Dude
[1:10:13] Speaker 2: rolled into him twice. Let's give him an extra two days, right?
[1:10:18] Speaker 2: Saturday's game, give him Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. We play Wednesday.
[1:10:23] Speaker 2: That goes a long way for his preparation is my
[1:10:26] Speaker 2: thought process when he was playing.
[1:10:28] Speaker 3: Especially when you're trying to bust it like this.
[1:10:30] Speaker 2: If they had a grist of balls that we're going
[1:10:31] Speaker 2: to lose by a third nine, of course they sit in,
[1:10:33] Speaker 2: but you don't. I think you're resting because of what
[1:10:36] Speaker 2: he's coming off of, game one.
[1:10:38] Speaker 4: Right?
[1:10:38] Speaker 2: There's no need to have him out there. Everybody else,
[1:10:40] Speaker 2: let's see what we can do. If it goes his way,
[1:10:42] Speaker 2: it goes his way. But we've played enough basketball without him.
[1:10:45] Speaker 4: Without him.
[1:10:46] Speaker 2: And we're a better defensive team with Bona. Drumming somewhat.
[1:10:53] Speaker 4: Big ball, yeah.
[1:10:55] Speaker 2: And to say that someone has a foot speed, to
[1:10:58] Speaker 2: say that Carl Anthony Towns has a foot speed advantage
[1:11:01] Speaker 2: against someone.
[1:11:01] Speaker 3: That's embarrassing.
[1:11:02] Speaker 2: That's embarrassing, right? The man wore 21s, man. I'm saying
[1:11:08] Speaker 2: he's fast, but I'm saying he has a foot speed advantage.
[1:11:10] Speaker 2: The point I'm making is he has a foot speed
[1:11:12] Speaker 2: advantage against Joel because Joel is hampered, right? Knee and
[1:11:16] Speaker 2: all of it to that point. You said who is
[1:11:19] Speaker 2: the fastest? All right.
[1:11:23] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:11:24] Speaker 4: Yes. He flew by and beat on the one.
[1:11:27] Speaker 3: The man hampered, right? The man hampered.
[1:11:30] Speaker 2: I would have said in game one. Get him ready
[1:11:32] Speaker 2: for game two. if that was me, but it's not.
[1:11:35] Speaker 2: You put him in that situation. He didn't look comfortable.
[1:11:37] Speaker 2: He didn't look good. He didn't play well. The team
[1:11:41] Speaker 2: didn't play well. How to come off of, if it's me,
[1:11:44] Speaker 2: I'm protecting one. I'm giving him, I'm giving us one
[1:11:47] Speaker 2: more day to get him ready for game two.
[1:11:50] Speaker 4: They didn't. And we'll see how it, yeah.
[1:11:53] Speaker 10: It cost him and it's about to cost him.
[1:11:55] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:11:55] Speaker 2: Like I said, and he, the recovery time, the turnaround
[1:11:59] Speaker 2: time is too quick now.
[1:12:00] Speaker 4: Right. It's every other day. The turnaround time is too quick.
[1:12:03] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:12:04] Speaker 2: And NBA, because it's so close, you're going to play
[1:12:08] Speaker 2: because you don't have a flight to catch.
[1:12:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, you can bus.
[1:12:12] Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't have a flight to catch.
[1:12:13] Speaker 4: You're not driving. Take the train.
[1:12:15] Speaker 2: You're not driving to Philly from New York and vice versa, right?
[1:12:18] Speaker 2: You're not doing that.
[1:12:20] Speaker 3: Train.
[1:12:21] Speaker 2: So the turnaround time is quick between your games, man.
[1:12:23] Speaker 2: I just think it's, with this coming off the surge
[1:12:26] Speaker 2: that I've been decking me and all that stuff, I
[1:12:27] Speaker 2: think it was a lot. He could have used an
[1:12:29] Speaker 2: extra day of rest. But That's me. And they didn't.
[1:12:33] Speaker 4: They lost about 40. Go back to the drawing board.
[1:12:36] Speaker 4: Get ready for game two.
[1:12:38] Speaker 3: Do, do, do, do, do. Done. 45, 47. Let's move
[1:12:40] Speaker 3: over to you, Mr. B.
[1:12:41] Speaker 1: Biggest takeaways from the next blowout win over the Sixers
[1:12:44] Speaker 1: in game one of their second round series?
[1:12:47] Speaker 3: I mean, they're fatigued.
[1:12:48] Speaker 10: They're still on the high from winning in Boston. Maxie
[1:12:52] Speaker 10: came out. He had one shot in the first quarter.
[1:12:56] Speaker 10: That's not like him. So I knew it was over
[1:12:58] Speaker 10: by then. And Mikael Bridges, he was playing amazing for them.
[1:13:02] Speaker 10: His energy was amazing. And I think New York, they
[1:13:05] Speaker 10: just feel it. Man, I mean, they've been winning by, what,
[1:13:09] Speaker 10: 30-some points the last four games? I mean, so right
[1:13:11] Speaker 10: now as a team, they're just on a high. I
[1:13:14] Speaker 10: think Boston, getting Boston out of there, I think they
[1:13:16] Speaker 10: can sense it. They can feel it a little bit.
[1:13:19] Speaker 10: And now with the turnaround time being so quick, I
[1:13:21] Speaker 10: don't know if Embiid's going to be able to hold
[1:13:23] Speaker 10: up and they're going to be able to have that
[1:13:25] Speaker 10: same energy. I mean, they're going to be able to
[1:13:26] Speaker 10: have the energy with Maxie and you know, Vijay for sure.
[1:13:29] Speaker 10: But I just think it's the Knicks time right now.
[1:13:32] Speaker 10: And just the energy and everything around the city and everything.
[1:13:36] Speaker 3: Very energetic city.
[1:13:37] Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to play Bona a little more, man.
[1:13:41] Speaker 2: Bona Island?
[1:13:42] Speaker 3: Bona, number 30.
[1:13:43] Speaker 4: Damn Bona, UCLA?
[1:13:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to play him a little more. He's young,
[1:13:46] Speaker 2: energetic energy. He's going to foul, but.
[1:13:51] Speaker 5: I think the Knicks... I think the Knicks is better, though.
[1:13:55] Speaker 3: Like, Boston....
[1:13:58] Speaker 5: I think Philly beat Boston because they're one-dimensional. Like I said,
[1:14:02] Speaker 5: they stick to the game plan too much.
[1:14:04] Speaker 3: Quick threes.
[1:14:06] Speaker 5: They didn't make Joel move that much. But besides that,
[1:14:10] Speaker 5: Joel's been dominant. And the way he's been playing, I
[1:14:14] Speaker 5: would have played him out there. But New York, yeah.
[1:14:19] Speaker 5: Of course, that's a new town. I don't know how
[1:14:21] Speaker 5: y'all say he's slow. He's an agile guy. He might
[1:14:24] Speaker 5: be goofy, but he can move. He might do all this,
[1:14:27] Speaker 5: but he can move. And Boston didn't have that. Nick
[1:14:32] Speaker 5: Bukashev sat out there at the corner three shooting that
[1:14:35] Speaker 5: same shot every time. You got a guy in the
[1:14:37] Speaker 5: pick and roll that you got to worry about shooting
[1:14:39] Speaker 5: and going to the hole. And B got to move
[1:14:42] Speaker 5: too much. But them guys played better defense than Boston.
[1:14:46] Speaker 3: Hard.
[1:14:46] Speaker 5: You got to give them credit. Maxie killed Derek White
[1:14:51] Speaker 5: each game. Killed Derek White. Everybody they put in front
[1:14:55] Speaker 5: of him. You got to give New York their credit.
[1:14:57] Speaker 5: They played They play great D. They got guys that
[1:15:01] Speaker 5: throw at every player out there from one through, I mean,
[1:15:04] Speaker 5: two through five. I'm not going to put everything, but
[1:15:07] Speaker 5: Bronson tries. But, like, Paul couldn't get them shots. He
[1:15:11] Speaker 5: was getting on Hauser and Kelly Oubre.
[1:15:16] Speaker 3: You know, they.
[1:15:19] Speaker 5: They play great. They play great defense. New York is,
[1:15:22] Speaker 5: I think, they're the team to beat to get to
[1:15:23] Speaker 5: the finals. They think they're going to get to the finals.
[1:15:26] Speaker 3: Nick's the team to beat in the Eastern Conference. Okay.
[1:15:29] Speaker 1: The East runs through New York. I see you shaking
[1:15:32] Speaker 1: your head. Biggest takeaway from the game one win over
[1:15:39] Speaker 1: the Sixers?
[1:15:42] Speaker 4: I would say.
[1:15:44] Speaker 9: Scouting report for everybody who doesn't know what that is.
[1:15:48] Speaker 9: Going into this series, you look at us being having
[1:15:52] Speaker 9: a week off in the New York Knicks and then
[1:15:55] Speaker 9: playing against a team that's coming in off a battle
[1:15:58] Speaker 9: in a game seven. First thing we do is you
[1:16:00] Speaker 9: punch in your face.
[1:16:02] Speaker 3: And we're at home.
[1:16:03] Speaker 9: So we got energy. We got momentum. We got rest.
[1:16:08] Speaker 9: Punch him in the face. Brunson did that first quarter.
[1:16:12] Speaker 9: punch you in the face. Hard to rebound from that because,
[1:16:15] Speaker 9: you know, you got to figure out how you want to,
[1:16:17] Speaker 9: this is, first series is always, well, the first series
[1:16:20] Speaker 9: in the second round is always, first game is fill-out game. Like,
[1:16:26] Speaker 9: what are they doing? How are we going to respond
[1:16:28] Speaker 9: to what they're doing? They might steal it. We might
[1:16:30] Speaker 9: win it. Regardless of what happens is, we get to
[1:16:33] Speaker 9: come back and recoup and re-strategize for them. And I
[1:16:37] Speaker 9: think for Philly, only playing six guys over 20 minutes is,
[1:16:43] Speaker 9: You got to do better because you're going to get
[1:16:44] Speaker 9: punched in the face. And if you're not going to
[1:16:47] Speaker 9: have a rebound in the second half from that punch,
[1:16:50] Speaker 9: then you're going to be giving out every game in
[1:16:54] Speaker 9: the first half.
[1:16:55] Speaker 4: So when you look at.
[1:16:57] Speaker 3: How Embiid played and.
[1:17:05] Speaker 3: You're going, you're cooking, but boy, you're cooking. You're cooking.
[1:17:09] Speaker 3: But you were saying a lot of weed.
[1:17:11] Speaker 4: You were saying we as in, I thought that you
[1:17:14] Speaker 4: stopped being the thumb.
[1:17:16] Speaker 3: I thought the thumb game.
[1:17:17] Speaker 4: I thought when he stuck his thumb in there, he
[1:17:20] Speaker 4: was off them. I thought he was off them. I
[1:17:23] Speaker 4: thought this was a Philly game. Do the sound effect, though.
[1:17:28] Speaker 3: I thought that's when he was like, I don't fuck
[1:17:30] Speaker 3: with the Knicks no more. You publicly said he was
[1:17:33] Speaker 3: not fucking with the Knicks no more.
[1:17:35] Speaker 4: And you was talking about, I mean, I don't know
[1:17:37] Speaker 4: if you jumped back on him, but I thought he
[1:17:39] Speaker 4: was off the Knicks. And I'm hearing the we thing.
[1:17:41] Speaker 4: So I was, as he, did he get back on?
[1:17:45] Speaker 4: Because this is the first time I'm here.
[1:17:46] Speaker 3: Did we? I thought he was Philly. I thought it was.
[1:17:50] Speaker 4: Like Joel Embiid and they contenders and they going to win.
[1:17:54] Speaker 9: I thought you didn't want to argue anymore. You took
[1:17:59] Speaker 9: two weeks off not to argue. But now here you
[1:18:02] Speaker 9: are interrupting me while I'm in the middle.
[1:18:04] Speaker 4: Of my shit.
[1:18:05] Speaker 9: You missed all this time. You missed all the context
[1:18:08] Speaker 9: behind my cooking. See, that's like not putting seasoning on
[1:18:11] Speaker 9: the food. You got to come to the grill prepared, brother.
[1:18:15] Speaker 4: No, no, no. You're not prepared. Now you're cooking meat. Yeah,
[1:18:19] Speaker 4: so you're back and you ain't ready. You ain't ready.
[1:18:23] Speaker 4: You're not ready.
[1:18:24] Speaker 3: Okay, I was just confused.
[1:18:26] Speaker 9: Yeah, it's in the context of conversation when you're actually
[1:18:29] Speaker 9: talking about one side.
[1:18:30] Speaker 4: I can say we and not mean me.
[1:18:33] Speaker 9: I can speak for 76ers and say we and not
[1:18:36] Speaker 9: mean me. Cause I'm giving context as I'm breaking down
[1:18:39] Speaker 9: the scatter report, if I'm New York or if I'm Philly.
[1:18:42] Speaker 4: So if I'm New York.
[1:18:43] Speaker 9: I'm saying we, but maybe y'all get it.
[1:18:45] Speaker 4: Maybe y'all don't. I don't know.
[1:18:47] Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't hear him say we. Let me know
[1:18:50] Speaker 3: if it's obvious or not. I don't know.
[1:18:52] Speaker 9: But like I was saying, Philly, like Maxie said, it's
[1:18:57] Speaker 9: going to be the next game. We're not worried about
[1:19:00] Speaker 9: what just happened. We need to bounce back. We need
[1:19:02] Speaker 9: to come in, re-strategize and figure out what we did wrong.
[1:19:05] Speaker 9: And make the adjustments. Embiid not going to have a
[1:19:07] Speaker 9: bad game every single game. And I don't think he
[1:19:09] Speaker 9: had a bad game based on the fact that they
[1:19:11] Speaker 9: got punched in the mouth early. And to Nick's point,
[1:19:15] Speaker 9: as far as Embiid having to guard Cat, that's a
[1:19:18] Speaker 9: real rivalry. And that rivalry goes back to when Cat
[1:19:21] Speaker 9: was in Minnesota. So this is something that Cat's up for.
[1:19:25] Speaker 9: Cat's up for this. And regardless of if Embiid's hurt
[1:19:28] Speaker 9: or not, wasn't giving that same energy to Anthony Edwards,
[1:19:31] Speaker 9: who was injured and just came back. So for Embiid,
[1:19:35] Speaker 9: there ain't no excuse for him either. So he going
[1:19:37] Speaker 9: to go in there. He going to be a competitor
[1:19:39] Speaker 9: just like Anthony Edwards is. Anthony Edwards came out to compete.
[1:19:43] Speaker 9: Joel Embiid, I don't see him see why he would
[1:19:45] Speaker 9: want to sit down, this being his rival. And this
[1:19:49] Speaker 9: is an important series for them. They're not supposed to
[1:19:52] Speaker 9: be here without him.
[1:19:53] Speaker 5: So, shit, this is one of them things. Did Anthony
[1:19:56] Speaker 5: Edwards have surgery? No, but it be, but it be there, right?
[1:20:01] Speaker 3: Appendectomy.
[1:20:02] Speaker 4: Okay, one has a bruised bone. And a hyperextended knee.
[1:20:07] Speaker 4: And a hyperextended. One needs, one needs, remember that Mr.
[1:20:12] Speaker 3: Potato? Which one was the, like, he needs pliers to.
[1:20:16] Speaker 4: Oh, operations?
[1:20:17] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he needs operations. A great game.
[1:20:19] Speaker 4: Because the knee is just not the knee anymore. There's nothing,
[1:20:22] Speaker 4: there's nothing, we've been talking about it every year. And
[1:20:25] Speaker 4: every year, Dude, the knee is the knee you you
[1:20:28] Speaker 4: can't reverse that.
[1:20:29] Speaker 3: It's a ball. What did but yeah, 34. Did you
[1:20:33] Speaker 3: see him on a sideline? He was on a ladder. Well,
[1:20:35] Speaker 3: who is he?
[1:20:35] Speaker 7: He put a team out.
[1:20:36] Speaker 3: It don't matter.
[1:20:37] Speaker 4: It hurts laying on the floor doing this shit stretch.
[1:20:39] Speaker 4: Do you see him walk back on the floor?
[1:20:41] Speaker 9: But he had surgery walking back on the floor.
[1:20:44] Speaker 4: So this is what I mean. He's tough enough to
[1:20:46] Speaker 4: keep playing.
[1:20:47] Speaker 3: Okay, I get that part. He's coming back.
[1:20:49] Speaker 4: Cool. He's playing against a dude who actually plays basketball, too.
[1:20:54] Speaker 4: Who's an all-star, too. Who's an all-NBA player. Boston put
[1:20:58] Speaker 4: three players nobody knew. Not even the Boston fans. The
[1:21:02] Speaker 4: motherfuckers just came in, settled in, and started. Like this.
[1:21:05] Speaker 3: Everybody's looking around.
[1:21:06] Speaker 4: So that's who he got to play against. Who's the
[1:21:08] Speaker 4: center over there?
[1:21:09] Speaker 3: Vukovic. Nick Vukovic. Huh? What's his name?
[1:21:13] Speaker 4: Who?
[1:21:14] Speaker 3: He's an all-star, too. Who? Cater. Cater what? Cater.
[1:21:17] Speaker 4: They play 3-5, man.
[1:21:18] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:21:20] Speaker 4: So he's not playing to get like he's playing against
[1:21:22] Speaker 4: a four man at five who's playing on a perimeter
[1:21:26] Speaker 4: who's going to pump phase on drive. He's going to
[1:21:29] Speaker 4: this ain't a rivalry in a sense of both are
[1:21:33] Speaker 4: at the same level of eliteness. One person is a
[1:21:38] Speaker 4: knee is prohibiting him to to sustain his greatness. You know,
[1:21:42] Speaker 4: out of seven games, Embiid going to show up. He's
[1:21:46] Speaker 4: going to dominate two.
[1:21:47] Speaker 3: And a half.
[1:21:48] Speaker 4: But it's going to be true.
[1:21:49] Speaker 2: The town can move? No, I said foot speed. Nobody
[1:21:53] Speaker 2: said you can move.
[1:21:54] Speaker 4: Foot speed.
[1:21:54] Speaker 3: You can move. Foot speed. No, we don't.
[1:21:56] Speaker 2: He has a foot speed advantage on Joel Embiid right now.
[1:22:00] Speaker 4: Yes. The Joel Embiid can't move.
[1:22:02] Speaker 3: One physically can't do what he wants to do.
[1:22:04] Speaker 4: Laterally.
[1:22:05] Speaker 3: Moving or not.
[1:22:06] Speaker 4: He can't do laterally.
[1:22:07] Speaker 2: Defensive he can't physically so when I came back I
[1:22:13] Speaker 2: can move right I was moving up and down But
[1:22:15] Speaker 2: the other person don't have foot speed, but he don't
[1:22:17] Speaker 2: have no injury.
[1:22:18] Speaker 3: He's not injured, but he's still slow.
[1:22:20] Speaker 4: He's not injured Okay, if I'm.
[1:22:23] Speaker 5: Still slow to even injured But I move injured.
[1:22:28] Speaker 3: That means if I do this, this might hurt. So
[1:22:30] Speaker 3: I'm not going to do that. I'm I'm not myself
[1:22:33] Speaker 3: is very different.
[1:22:34] Speaker 4: One is being slow. That's his body type. One is
[1:22:37] Speaker 4: slow because the tire blown out.
[1:22:40] Speaker 3: Yes, it's blown.
[1:22:42] Speaker 4: Ferrari goes fast, right? It ain't not one.
[1:22:45] Speaker 3: You put a.
[1:22:45] Speaker 4: Spare tire on the Ferrari. It still go fast. What's
[1:22:49] Speaker 4: going to happen to it? Nick, the point that you're
[1:22:51] Speaker 4: making is... Nick, Nick, Nick.
[1:22:54] Speaker 2: How long Carl Anthony Towns... I'm finna simplify it for you.
[1:22:57] Speaker 2: I'm finna simplify it for you, Nick. I'm finna simplify
[1:22:59] Speaker 2: it for you since it's what you need.
[1:23:01] Speaker 4: Right? How long Carl Anthony Towns been in the league?
[1:23:04] Speaker 4: 10 plus, right?
[1:23:06] Speaker 3: A while.
[1:23:07] Speaker 2: During his tenure as an NBA player, not one time
[1:23:10] Speaker 2: have I referenced Carl Anthony Towns as being fast.
[1:23:13] Speaker 4: Not once.
[1:23:14] Speaker 3: Yeah. Not once.
[1:23:18] Speaker 2: Not once have I referenced Carl Anthony Towns being fast.
[1:23:23] Speaker 4: In this situation, he has a.
[1:23:25] Speaker 2: Foot speed advantage because Joel is hampered and he can't
[1:23:29] Speaker 2: move side to side.
[1:23:30] Speaker 4: Hmm. He would have that.
[1:23:32] Speaker 2: Carl Anthony Towns' foot size has been the fucking same
[1:23:36] Speaker 2: since he came in the league, which are like 21
[1:23:39] Speaker 2: to 21, 22, some shit like that.
[1:23:41] Speaker 4: He's got some big-ass feet.
[1:23:43] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
[1:23:43] Speaker 4: It's the point I'm making. Size 20 can't be, yeah.
[1:23:45] Speaker 3: Size 20.
[1:23:46] Speaker 4: He was 20. He would still have the foot feet.
[1:23:48] Speaker 4: So therefore... Therefore, he has a foot speed advantage.
[1:23:52] Speaker 9: Regardless if he was hurt or not, Carl Anthony Towns
[1:23:55] Speaker 9: is a faster big man than Joel Embiid and half
[1:23:59] Speaker 9: of the rest of the big.
[1:24:00] Speaker 4: Like I said, I ain't never referenced Carl Anthony Towns
[1:24:03] Speaker 4: as being fast.
[1:24:04] Speaker 2: Faster than Joel Embiid is not a fucking hard task
[1:24:08] Speaker 2: to do.
[1:24:09] Speaker 4: So regardless if he hurt or not, it don't matter.
[1:24:11] Speaker 4: He'd be able to move better. He'd be able to
[1:24:12] Speaker 4: move laterally better if he wasn't hurt.
[1:24:14] Speaker 9: He still would be faster than him.
[1:24:16] Speaker 4: And... Wait, wait.
[1:24:17] Speaker 3: That would be the difference.
[1:24:18] Speaker 4: How do you feel right now?
[1:24:20] Speaker 2: If he wasn't hurt, he would be able to move
[1:24:22] Speaker 2: better side to side is the point motherfucker trying to make.
[1:24:25] Speaker 2: Carl Anthony Towne's speed is what it is. It ain't
[1:24:28] Speaker 2: going to change.
[1:24:30] Speaker 3: Goddamn. He's going to be as fast as he's going
[1:24:32] Speaker 3: to be.
[1:24:32] Speaker 4: So it's still going to be an advantage. Who gives
[1:24:35] Speaker 4: a fuck? No. The point I'm making is Joel won't
[1:24:39] Speaker 4: be able to move side to side. We have to
[1:24:40] Speaker 4: give a fuck about the point you're making. No, I don't.
[1:24:42] Speaker 4: We have to care about what... No, I don't give
[1:24:44] Speaker 4: a fuck about the point that you're trying to make. No,
[1:24:45] Speaker 4: I'm talking about your mate.
[1:24:46] Speaker 3: No.
[1:24:46] Speaker 9: You're making the point that he's fast or he's not.
[1:24:50] Speaker 9: I'm like, he's going to be fast regardless if he
[1:24:51] Speaker 9: hurt or not. The point that I'm making, nigga, if
[1:24:52] Speaker 9: you shut the fuck up for a second, the point
[1:24:54] Speaker 9: that I'm making is Joel still wouldn't be able to
[1:24:57] Speaker 9: move side to side because he's fucking hurt.
[1:24:58] Speaker 2: It ain't got nothing to do with Carl Anthony Towns, nigga.
[1:25:01] Speaker 4: Like, shut the fuck up for a second. It seems
[1:25:03] Speaker 4: like y'all.
[1:25:03] Speaker 3: Just want to fucking argue with it, nigga. It just
[1:25:05] Speaker 3: seems like y'all fucked up.
[1:25:07] Speaker 9: If he's not, if Joel Embiid is healthy, Carl Anthony
[1:25:09] Speaker 9: Towns is still faster than him.
[1:25:11] Speaker 3: That wasn't the point I was making. That's the point
[1:25:13] Speaker 3: you want to make.
[1:25:14] Speaker 2: The point I'm making is about Joelle. You can keep
[1:25:16] Speaker 2: talking about Carlandtown fast all the fuck you want.
[1:25:18] Speaker 3: That ain't the point I'm making. That ain't the fucking
[1:25:21] Speaker 3: point I'm making. So you ain't going to make it? Like, goddamn.
[1:25:24] Speaker 3: It's like y'all shut the fuck up sometimes.
[1:25:25] Speaker 4: Just fucking listen.
[1:25:26] Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
[1:25:28] Speaker 4: You got it.
[1:25:30] Speaker 7: Why y'all get so mad?
[1:25:31] Speaker 4: Do y'all just want to argue with a nigga? Do
[1:25:34] Speaker 4: you personally want to argue?
[1:25:35] Speaker 2: Y'all just want to argue with a nigga for nothing.
[1:25:38] Speaker 4: What's the point of all this? I just want to
[1:25:40] Speaker 4: argue with a nigga for nothing.
[1:25:41] Speaker 3: Let me ask you a question.
[1:25:44] Speaker 4: Hold on. Let me ask you a question.
[1:25:47] Speaker 7: Hold on.
[1:25:48] Speaker 3: Let me ask you a question. Shut the fuck up.
[1:25:50] Speaker 3: Why do you guys do this?
[1:25:51] Speaker 7: Like, what the What the fuck is going on?
[1:25:54] Speaker 3: Can I ask you a simple question?
[1:25:55] Speaker 4: I just want to ask you a simple question. How
[1:25:58] Speaker 4: does your knees feel?
[1:25:59] Speaker 3: Amazing.
[1:26:01] Speaker 4: Amazing, right? Amazing. When you first got surgery and it
[1:26:04] Speaker 4: was swollen.
[1:26:06] Speaker 3: Amazing.
[1:26:06] Speaker 4: Could I go by you? Can anybody go by you then?
[1:26:09] Speaker 4: Easier or now? Amazing. No, just answer the question.
[1:26:13] Speaker 3: See, this is the problem.
[1:26:14] Speaker 4: When we present something that's real, you don't want to.
[1:26:18] Speaker 3: Talk about it.
[1:26:19] Speaker 7: How can it be real one time? He was real
[1:26:22] Speaker 7: when he had 34.
[1:26:23] Speaker 4: What I'm saying is your knees today was better than
[1:26:26] Speaker 4: your knees when you were injured. So how you had
[1:26:30] Speaker 4: to play defense back fucking two, three months ago at
[1:26:34] Speaker 4: every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, right? You're not going to
[1:26:36] Speaker 4: push off the same. You're not going to do what
[1:26:38] Speaker 4: you do. Today they're fine. You're gonna go out there
[1:26:43] Speaker 4: and do you in B's knees.
[1:26:46] Speaker 3: Or where you were when you got out of surgery.
[1:26:48] Speaker 4: So he can't do what he wants to do. So
[1:26:52] Speaker 4: that means if somebody drives he's not gonna go push
[1:26:54] Speaker 4: off like he can He's gonna he's gonna do the
[1:26:57] Speaker 4: little fake limb and then try to do that So.
[1:27:00] Speaker 3: He don't have to be fast or quick.
[1:27:01] Speaker 4: But that first he's seven foot you do a pump
[1:27:04] Speaker 4: fake and drop I can I can launch at that
[1:27:06] Speaker 4: and stop that he can't remember. This was a defensive guy, too.
[1:27:10] Speaker 4: I Right? Everybody's faster than besides Jokic, but he stayed
[1:27:15] Speaker 4: in front of everybody when he was healthy. He can't
[1:27:18] Speaker 4: push off the way he wants defensively. So he can't
[1:27:22] Speaker 4: stop the ball. They're running pick and rolls for a
[1:27:25] Speaker 4: reason with him because they know he can't move side
[1:27:28] Speaker 4: to side because the knee is just not right. Is
[1:27:30] Speaker 4: Dembe the reason they lost?
[1:27:33] Speaker 3: No.
[1:27:33] Speaker 4: No. Fatigue.
[1:27:35] Speaker 3: It's a team sport. Fatigue.
[1:27:35] Speaker 4: It's a team sport. Team sport. Okay.
[1:27:38] Speaker 7: We're spending a lot on Joel right now.
[1:27:40] Speaker 4: No, I'm just saying what it looks like when you're
[1:27:43] Speaker 4: watching a game and what the game plan is going
[1:27:45] Speaker 4: to be, we're just going to keep working at it.
[1:27:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, we would have been done talking about if you
[1:27:49] Speaker 2: niggas weren't trying to fucking constantly argue with a nigga.
[1:27:52] Speaker 4: Like, God damn, we would have been talking about it. Hey, man, relax.
[1:27:55] Speaker 4: God damn, this is fucked.
[1:27:57] Speaker 2: Nigga would have been done.
[1:27:58] Speaker 3: You know what? I'm going to whoop your ass after
[1:28:02] Speaker 3: this show. Damn.
[1:28:04] Speaker 1: I feel like it'd be part of the reason for
[1:28:06] Speaker 1: shotting if you don't.
[1:28:07] Speaker 3: Think it was me.
[1:28:08] Speaker 9: What?
[1:28:08] Speaker 3: What was the reason the Sixers lost this match?
[1:28:10] Speaker 4: What was the.
[1:28:10] Speaker 9: Reason they lost? They got punched in the mouth in
[1:28:13] Speaker 9: the first quarter.
[1:28:13] Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
[1:28:14] Speaker 9: Uh jalen brunson came out to fucking play mikhail mikhail
[1:28:17] Speaker 9: bridges came out to play also they were swarming great
[1:28:20] Speaker 9: great defense team defense they were swarming they were rebounding
[1:28:24] Speaker 9: uh mitchell robinson came out to play everybody came and
[1:28:27] Speaker 9: it was in the garden i mean doesn't all these
[1:28:30] Speaker 9: things factor in at some point other than joelle and
[1:28:33] Speaker 9: beads knee from what he can't do everything but damn
[1:28:36] Speaker 9: i mean he had his 14 points he didn't get
[1:28:39] Speaker 9: the rebound i he was supposed to.
[1:28:40] Speaker 4: But I think Josh Hart.
[1:28:42] Speaker 3: Because the ball was going.
[1:28:43] Speaker 2: Through the net a lot.
[1:28:44] Speaker 4: 53% from the field. All right, well, Maxie has. Killing
[1:28:52] Speaker 4: the ball.
[1:28:53] Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, Maxie didn't show up at all. We didn't
[1:28:55] Speaker 9: even mention his name. It's more Joel Lee. I'm just saying,
[1:29:00] Speaker 9: Maxie had one shot.
[1:29:01] Speaker 1: Three for nine from the field, four turnovers for Tyrese
[1:29:04] Speaker 1: Maxie in that game. Mikael Bridges found his offense. The
[1:29:06] Speaker 1: game was benched, I think, multiple times.
[1:29:07] Speaker 3: I do agree, though, that they should have rested me, though.
[1:29:11] Speaker 3: Game one.
[1:29:11] Speaker 4: I'm wrong.
[1:29:14] Speaker 2: Even though Tyrese Maxson is who he is, fatigue and
[1:29:16] Speaker 2: all that, letdown, that shit's still real for anybody.
[1:29:18] Speaker 4: I don't care who it is.
[1:29:20] Speaker 3: They're going to play faster.
[1:29:23] Speaker 4: Without Joel Embiid, it's more guard play that matches up
[1:29:28] Speaker 4: with the New York team.
[1:29:31] Speaker 2: But New York has better.
[1:29:32] Speaker 5: But the Knicks have better perimeter defenders than them. Needed
[1:29:35] Speaker 5: him to be for every game against Boston.
[1:29:36] Speaker 3: Game two. And that's the problem.
[1:29:37] Speaker 4: Boston will stop themselves out of that. Like, Boston just,
[1:29:40] Speaker 4: I mean, they just. You know, I've always said if
[1:29:41] Speaker 4: you're shooting 150.
[1:29:41] Speaker 3: Points worth of threes to score 105, 102, you lost.
[1:29:42] Speaker 3: Under 30%.
[1:29:42] Speaker 4: I'm just saying, like, you know, that was two years ago,
[1:29:44] Speaker 4: but they won a championship because they was making it.
[1:30:00] Speaker 3: This time they didn't make it. This series they didn't
[1:30:01] Speaker 3: make it.
[1:30:02] Speaker 4: Right? I don't know if they had one of those
[1:30:05] Speaker 4: 25 threes in that series.
[1:30:08] Speaker 3: Well, in their wins, they were around 40%. In their losses,
[1:30:10] Speaker 3: under 30%.
[1:30:10] Speaker 4: Yeah, when they lose, they lose. All you have to
[1:30:12] Speaker 4: do is just stick around. But I got New York
[1:30:16] Speaker 4: going to the chip.
[1:30:17] Speaker 1: Do you guys, anybody on this couch feel like the
[1:30:19] Speaker 1: Sixers have an opportunity to turn this around? They were
[1:30:21] Speaker 1: in down 3-1 in the previous series to the Celtics.
[1:30:24] Speaker 4: I said I agree with you.
[1:30:25] Speaker 3: Nah.
[1:30:26] Speaker 4: I've been gone too long.
[1:30:28] Speaker 3: I think the Knicks learned that lesson.
[1:30:30] Speaker 4: 39 points?
[1:30:30] Speaker 1: I think the Knicks learned that lesson. Every other day
[1:30:32] Speaker 1: until game seven, if it reaches there.
[1:30:35] Speaker 4: Game seven?
[1:30:36] Speaker 1: So the series is every other day. So the Sixers
[1:30:38] Speaker 1: will play the game every other day since.
[1:30:40] Speaker 3: This series ain't going to seven.
[1:30:41] Speaker 2: That is not going to do Joel any service.
[1:30:42] Speaker 3: This is literally, I believe, game four of the previous series.
[1:30:45] Speaker 4: They might get one.
[1:30:47] Speaker 2: Listen, this is not going to do it.
[1:30:48] Speaker 3: I mean, so they've been winning by an average of 30-something.
[1:30:51] Speaker 3: The Knicks have been averaging.
[1:30:52] Speaker 4: I mean, Joel, I mean, he didn't play that many minutes.
[1:30:57] Speaker 3: So he should. He still went out there and played, though.
[1:30:59] Speaker 3: He's still running around.
[1:31:00] Speaker 4: There's miles on that bitch. I want to ask them
[1:31:06] Speaker 4: a serious question. Do you wish you, we know the
[1:31:10] Speaker 4: results now. Do you wish you would have just set
[1:31:13] Speaker 4: him out a whole year? and let his body recover
[1:31:17] Speaker 4: and let the knee recover. That's what we said in
[1:31:19] Speaker 4: the beginning.
[1:31:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, but even in the Celtics series, the freak, I
[1:31:23] Speaker 1: think Maxie lands into it. There's stuff that it seems
[1:31:25] Speaker 1: like him just bad luck. He can't get out of
[1:31:30] Speaker 1: the way. I mean, watching that play. It happens throughout
[1:31:34] Speaker 1: the game, yes.
[1:31:36] Speaker 2: But in his particular case, he can't move fast enough
[1:31:41] Speaker 2: to get out of the way, man.
[1:31:42] Speaker 4: He can see it coming. Mm-hmm.
[1:31:45] Speaker 2: See that motherfucker about to roll into him and his
[1:31:47] Speaker 2: best bet is try to do this shit. Like, it's
[1:31:50] Speaker 2: just what it is right now. His lateral movement is shot.
[1:31:54] Speaker 2: And to Gil's point, Boston, yeah, he ain't got to
[1:31:56] Speaker 2: guard nobody. This series, they're going to make, listen, boxing
[1:32:00] Speaker 2: out matters. If he got to go against Mitchell Robinson
[1:32:03] Speaker 2: to box him out, that's hell, dog, on them legs.
[1:32:05] Speaker 4: Carl Anthony Towns still is who he is, man.
[1:32:08] Speaker 2: Offensively, he still is aggressive.
[1:32:10] Speaker 4: He caught the ball on the wing in the first
[1:32:11] Speaker 4: quarter and went right by it.
[1:32:12] Speaker 2: I was like, oh, Lord.
[1:32:13] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:32:14] Speaker 2: Went left and dunked that bitch. I was like, oh, shit.
[1:32:17] Speaker 2: This is going to be long. It's going to be
[1:32:19] Speaker 2: a long game here. But it's one game. But what
[1:32:26] Speaker 2: you going to do different?
[1:32:28] Speaker 3: A lot.
[1:32:29] Speaker 2: What you going to do different, Philly?
[1:32:30] Speaker 4: A whole lot. So you with Philly or you with?
[1:32:34] Speaker 2: What you going to do different?
[1:32:35] Speaker 4: I'm going to just take out. I don't know if
[1:32:40] Speaker 4: he can even take it. It's over now. It's just
[1:32:42] Speaker 4: the knee, man. You can't keep it. You've been there.
[1:32:45] Speaker 4: I feel bad.
[1:32:47] Speaker 3: We act like we ain't been there. We act like
[1:32:50] Speaker 3: we ain't.
[1:32:50] Speaker 2: Been on that side of that motherfucker. We're going out
[1:32:52] Speaker 2: there dragging that bitch around and it ain't doing nobody
[1:32:54] Speaker 2: no justice. I feel bad because he's so good.
[1:32:57] Speaker 4: He's so good. He should. No.
[1:33:03] Speaker 3: I don't think he's been released yet. You know, I was...
[1:33:05] Speaker 3: Is that long yet? I don't think... I was watching
[1:33:09] Speaker 3: the intro and I was like, man, they just messing
[1:33:16] Speaker 3: up history.
[1:33:17] Speaker 4: Right?
[1:33:18] Speaker 3: Well, you got... I think it was Josh Hart. They
[1:33:21] Speaker 3: got him at what? The small Ford?
[1:33:24] Speaker 4: Right? Two.
[1:33:26] Speaker 2: With McKell's the two?
[1:33:27] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[1:33:28] Speaker 3: And I'm like... You're naming history. You're not a small
[1:33:32] Speaker 3: forward dog. It's just some of these things I'm looking
[1:33:35] Speaker 3: at like a 6'4, small forward, then these names of history.
[1:33:41] Speaker 4: In his NBA, he can do that.
[1:33:44] Speaker 2: Fortunate for him.
[1:33:46] Speaker 3: Can't run the one. It was just looking at my
[1:33:49] Speaker 3: small forward. I'm like, SJ66 at the one. So before
[1:33:54] Speaker 3: we move on.
[1:33:55] Speaker 2: They're starting at point guard.
[1:33:57] Speaker 4: Ben's at 6'10.
[1:33:57] Speaker 1: You're like, God damn. Before we move on, we asked
[1:34:01] Speaker 1: the chat, is it obvious? Yeah, they're going to say yeah. 71%
[1:34:06] Speaker 1: of the chat said yes, it is obvious. One more
[1:34:08] Speaker 1: Knicks-related subject. In other Knicks news, J.R. Smith found out
[1:34:14] Speaker 1: the hard way what happens when you find yourself on
[1:34:16] Speaker 1: the wrong side of a Knicks fan mosh pit following
[1:34:19] Speaker 1: a win. So let's take a look at the video.
[1:34:23] Speaker 1: Smith tried to leave the garden through the general population exit.
[1:34:27] Speaker 1: Ended up getting trampled by some rowdy Knicks fans.
[1:34:30] Speaker 3: I love Knicks fans, bro. Took him to the ground.
[1:34:34] Speaker 4: Yep.
[1:34:34] Speaker 3: Overcome with emotion.
[1:34:35] Speaker 2: And the fact that you can't get up.
[1:34:40] Speaker 3: He's on top of somebody else.
[1:34:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, somebody up on them. Yeah, it's bad.
[1:34:45] Speaker 3: Hand down, man down, as they say. He held me up.
[1:34:50] Speaker 4: And he ain't dropped the joint either. He's trying to
[1:34:52] Speaker 4: hold on to that motherfucker.
[1:34:54] Speaker 3: No turnover.
[1:34:54] Speaker 4: Yes, sir. A lot of Negros.
[1:35:02] Speaker 3: But what's y'all reaction to see J.R. Smith getting trampled
[1:35:05] Speaker 3: by Knicks fans? I love it.
[1:35:09] Speaker 4: Not that he got trampled. Just to see the New
[1:35:13] Speaker 4: York fan base, man, just.
[1:35:16] Speaker 2: You see what they did to the Pacers.
[1:35:17] Speaker 3: Fan last year?
[1:35:18] Speaker 4: No, that's what I'm saying.
[1:35:21] Speaker 3: What I'm saying is that just.
[1:35:22] Speaker 4: To see them in real time, real action, because the
[1:35:27] Speaker 4: only time I really, really paid attention to New York
[1:35:29] Speaker 4: is when he always booed.
[1:35:30] Speaker 3: Because I was busting their team ass. They were booing them.
[1:35:33] Speaker 4: You see what they were doing to Julius Randle's jersey?
[1:35:36] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the only thing we know.
[1:35:38] Speaker 4: So to see them on the good side of it,
[1:35:41] Speaker 4: just being happy. He's still crazy. I like happy crazy.
[1:35:44] Speaker 3: No, no, no.
[1:35:44] Speaker 4: Happy crazy is good crazy.
[1:35:45] Speaker 3: That type of shit is insane.
[1:35:46] Speaker 4: They're a little insane. No, no, no. He just fell.
[1:35:48] Speaker 3: No, no, no.
[1:35:49] Speaker 4: He was popping.
[1:35:50] Speaker 3: Bro, listen.
[1:35:50] Speaker 4: Bro, listen. This is game one of round two.
[1:35:52] Speaker 3: I love that.
[1:35:53] Speaker 4: This is game one. They doing this for game one
[1:35:55] Speaker 4: of round two. Imagine if they win it.
[1:35:57] Speaker 3: They going to burn the city down.
[1:36:04] Speaker 4: Yes. No. It's a good burn. No. The angry burn
[1:36:08] Speaker 4: is the worst one. No, it's going to be bad.
[1:36:11] Speaker 3: It's going to be bad. They need that.
[1:36:15] Speaker 4: They going to the chip. We can have fun, but JR,
[1:36:17] Speaker 4: don't put yourself in that situation.
[1:36:18] Speaker 2: You know you're a fan. JR's a god in New York.
[1:36:21] Speaker 2: The guy tried to walk out, keep it real when wrong.
[1:36:32] Speaker 3: No, he's trying to walk out the front door.
[1:36:35] Speaker 2: Great point. Great point exactly. Keeping it real goes wrong.
[1:36:40] Speaker 5: I'm the people's champ.
[1:36:43] Speaker 4: The people want the champ.
[1:36:45] Speaker 3: No, he's a golfer now, bro.
[1:36:47] Speaker 4: When keeping it real goes wrong.
[1:36:50] Speaker 5: Pick me up with my blunt.
[1:36:54] Speaker 3: I knew he wasn't in trouble because the blunt just stayed.
[1:36:57] Speaker 3: I think he was just mad. He was just down
[1:36:58] Speaker 3: to chew off.
[1:36:58] Speaker 1: Yes.
[1:36:59] Speaker 3: They feel me.
[1:37:01] Speaker 4: Get me up. Rats.
[1:37:05] Speaker 3: Get me up.
[1:37:06] Speaker 4: I got the problem.
[1:37:07] Speaker 2: Ain't no way you're going out that door, man.
[1:37:09] Speaker 4: No way.
[1:37:10] Speaker 3: That excellent thought. After a game in the playoffs. Even
[1:37:13] Speaker 3: if it was my thought, right?
[1:37:14] Speaker 4: Even if it was the thought, like, I'm going to
[1:37:17] Speaker 4: go out with the people. As soon as you. Yeah.
[1:37:20] Speaker 2: What are we going to call this?
[1:37:24] Speaker 3: Put you back right there. Go out there with them people.
[1:37:26] Speaker 3: I bet you his ass won't do it again. I
[1:37:29] Speaker 3: bet he do. I bet if they get to the finals,
[1:37:31] Speaker 3: he won't be out there.
[1:37:31] Speaker 4: He better be in the finals. I'm going to be
[1:37:35] Speaker 4: out there in the finals.
[1:37:35] Speaker 3: With my shirt off.
[1:37:36] Speaker 7: You crazy as hell.
[1:37:37] Speaker 3: He ain't going back out there.
[1:37:39] Speaker 4: He ain't going.
[1:37:41] Speaker 3: Back out there. No, he tripped. That was it.
[1:37:44] Speaker 4: He tripped on a person.
[1:37:45] Speaker 3: Yeah, another person fell. And there was a pile on effect.
[1:37:48] Speaker 3: There was a pile on effect.
[1:37:49] Speaker 4: No, it was fucking... What I would have just been
[1:37:54] Speaker 4: like just he just go out there next time and
[1:37:55] Speaker 4: just show your shirt.
[1:37:57] Speaker 2: Hey It's like the highlights you see the dude that
[1:37:59] Speaker 2: don't drop his beard on drop catching. Yeah I'm not
[1:38:03] Speaker 2: gonna let this fall. It's gonna help me when I get.
[1:38:05] Speaker 3: Up I got a fan cool.
[1:38:11] Speaker 11: Yeah.
[1:38:11] Speaker 3: No, they got the crazy. You said the Warriors do
[1:38:13] Speaker 3: it too.
[1:38:13] Speaker 5: I said no Yeah, I got a fan like New
[1:38:17] Speaker 5: York fans too cool.
[1:38:18] Speaker 3: I mean, I I don't know that. Probably the Rowdies.
[1:38:22] Speaker 4: You said Boston? Now they winning. Listen, they ain't had
[1:38:25] Speaker 4: nothing to do with it. Boston used to win it.
[1:38:27] Speaker 3: They ain't had nothing to do with it for a
[1:38:28] Speaker 3: long time, bro.
[1:38:29] Speaker 4: Yeah. nobody does.
[1:38:30] Speaker 2: So now they back.
[1:38:31] Speaker 3: They winning now.
[1:38:32] Speaker 2: And this is the younger generation of fan.
[1:38:34] Speaker 4: Yeah, you might be right.
[1:38:35] Speaker 3: I think New York's the only team. Yeah, New York's
[1:38:36] Speaker 3: the only team. You think Brooklyn would do that? The Nets? No.
[1:38:40] Speaker 2: Not yet.
[1:38:41] Speaker 3: No? Even though it's still in Toronto.
[1:38:44] Speaker 2: Toronto fans crazy like that.
[1:38:45] Speaker 3: Toronto fans crazy like that.
[1:38:47] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:38:49] Speaker 3: Toronto fans crazy like that. Yes. But other than the Knicks.
[1:38:54] Speaker 3: They swung on Rick Ross.
[1:38:56] Speaker 2: It don't matter.
[1:38:58] Speaker 4: They're one of one.
[1:39:00] Speaker 3: Canadians is the nicest people.
[1:39:01] Speaker 4: It was the original boo the home team. They nice.
[1:39:08] Speaker 4: The fans was the original boo the home team people, man.
[1:39:12] Speaker 4: They the first one started booing the home team.
[1:39:14] Speaker 3: Apollo. You watching Apollo?
[1:39:16] Speaker 7: Ain't nobody doing what the Knicks fans doing.
[1:39:18] Speaker 3: Nah, they not. I mean, no. That was just.
[1:39:22] Speaker 4: Portland.
[1:39:24] Speaker 3: What?
[1:39:24] Speaker 4: Portland?
[1:39:25] Speaker 3: We don't know. I think Portland would go crazy. Too liberal. No.
[1:39:28] Speaker 3: Their fan base is... They can't even afford their fans.
[1:39:32] Speaker 3: They don't even get t-shirts. Yeah, they don't get t-shirts.
[1:39:34] Speaker 3: They barely get... He ain't going to even have a parade.
[1:39:36] Speaker 3: They probably... Hey, they're going to be.
[1:39:37] Speaker 4: They're the spirit of the NBA. Do this shit tomorrow.
[1:39:40] Speaker 3: I'll get y'all rings and everything tomorrow.
[1:39:42] Speaker 4: Everything tomorrow. Ain't no more seats. Everybody stand up. Hold on.
[1:39:46] Speaker 3: It's taking off. There ain't going to be no sweeps
[1:39:51] Speaker 3: in that joint no more.
[1:39:52] Speaker 4: He cutting all that. He put himself in a horrible situation.
[1:39:56] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
[1:39:57] Speaker 2: Like, yeah, yeah. And them people crazy.
[1:39:58] Speaker 3: Drive kids ain't going to want to go there no more.
[1:39:59] Speaker 2: Them kids crazy, bro.
[1:40:01] Speaker 3: New York, yeah.
[1:40:02] Speaker 2: Ain't nothing but 18, them up, whatever out there.
[1:40:04] Speaker 4: Yeah, they rowdy, bro.
[1:40:06] Speaker 3: Intoxicated? Y'all never been in a parade, huh?
[1:40:09] Speaker 4: Yes.
[1:40:09] Speaker 3: I forgot. I forgot.
[1:40:10] Speaker 5: You've been in a parade?
[1:40:12] Speaker 7: When you were in a championship, that type of shit happened.
[1:40:15] Speaker 3: He was comfortable in that type of set.
[1:40:17] Speaker 4: He was comfortable in that.
[1:40:18] Speaker 3: I forget. Y'all ain't never been in a parade. We
[1:40:20] Speaker 3: went to the Final Four, so we was in a parade.
[1:40:22] Speaker 3: That's different. That's different.
[1:40:24] Speaker 4: I understand. Now I get where y'all coming from.
[1:40:27] Speaker 3: No, I seen yours. You got your kids up there.
[1:40:31] Speaker 4: They don't deserve that kind of shine. They don't make
[1:40:33] Speaker 4: you happy. See, I'm watching you right now. See, you're
[1:40:44] Speaker 4: smiling now.
[1:40:45] Speaker 3: Look at that. You're smiling.
[1:40:47] Speaker 4: He said they don't deserve that.
[1:40:49] Speaker 3: They don't deserve that kind of shine. Really said that.
[1:40:52] Speaker 3: Really said that.
[1:40:53] Speaker 4: That don't make you happy. I was hot.
[1:40:55] Speaker 3: The recorder that too.
[1:40:57] Speaker 4: This nigga up there having fun with his family. The
[1:41:01] Speaker 4: shit we just did last night with the girls.
[1:41:04] Speaker 3: I just gave you four, five of them. You're like,
[1:41:07] Speaker 3: fuck them kids, man. They're having a party at your
[1:41:10] Speaker 3: house right now.
[1:41:12] Speaker 2: You want to go to the parade.
[1:41:13] Speaker 3: You want to go to the parade. With them. Ungrateful ass.
[1:41:22] Speaker 4: You wasn't even trying to hire them.
[1:41:23] Speaker 7: When you leaving again?
[1:41:24] Speaker 4: Tomorrow.
[1:41:25] Speaker 3: When you leaving again?
[1:41:27] Speaker 4: When you leaving.
[1:41:29] Speaker 3: Sound like Chris. Sound like Dada. Sound like Dada. Wow.
[1:41:39] Speaker 4: I tried to put myself on parole so I had
[1:41:41] Speaker 4: to be around y'all. It was like, is there any
[1:41:46] Speaker 4: fellas over there? I was like, damn.
[1:41:47] Speaker 1: Damn, I don't think so. Did you know you can't
[1:41:51] Speaker 1: be around? Bill has returned to the family. I don't
[1:41:55] Speaker 1: think we're fellas. You can't be around no other fellas.
[1:41:57] Speaker 1: I think we're good.
[1:41:58] Speaker 3: And that's what I was trying to put in. Yeah,
[1:41:59] Speaker 3: ain't nobody got a record like that. I think we did.
[1:42:01] Speaker 3: That's what I was trying to. You were trying to
[1:42:04] Speaker 3: set me up. One last thing we're going to discuss.
[1:42:06] Speaker 3: Yellow Boy, I'm pretty sure, got in trouble in the day.
[1:42:08] Speaker 3: You know what? He told me about a fire. Told
[1:42:12] Speaker 3: me about a fire when he was five. Did you
[1:42:14] Speaker 3: ever find that?
[1:42:15] Speaker 4: Fire in the woods.
[1:42:16] Speaker 3: Definitely was a felon.
[1:42:17] Speaker 4: Absolutely.
[1:42:22] Speaker 2: Five-along blade arson at his finest.
[1:42:25] Speaker 3: Only if you get caught.
[1:42:26] Speaker 4: I got caught. I got caught.
[1:42:28] Speaker 3: Somebody snitch on me.
[1:42:28] Speaker 2: Absolutely snitch on me.
[1:42:30] Speaker 4: Snitch on me.
[1:42:31] Speaker 3: It was three of us. Yeah, it was three of us.
[1:42:33] Speaker 4: What you talking about?
[1:42:34] Speaker 3: Yeah, it was three of us. What you talking about? Yeah,
[1:42:36] Speaker 3: it was three of us. Yeah, it was three of us.
[1:42:38] Speaker 4: Oh, don't worry about us.
[1:42:44] Speaker 3: They're good.
[1:42:46] Speaker 4: We good.
[1:42:47] Speaker 3: So let's celebrate the good times.
[1:42:49] Speaker 4: We good.
[1:42:49] Speaker 3: We won. We won our series. Let's celebrate.
[1:42:52] Speaker 4: We won our series.
[1:42:53] Speaker 3: We good. I will give you that.
[1:42:55] Speaker 1: The Lakers and Thunder tip off their West semi-series tonight,
[1:42:58] Speaker 1: but let's go back to the not-so-distant past. Last time
[1:43:00] Speaker 1: we were in Gills Arena, Lakers had lost back-to-back games,
[1:43:03] Speaker 1: including Game 5. In Los Angeles, appeared to be on
[1:43:05] Speaker 1: the verge of becoming the first team to blow a
[1:43:08] Speaker 1: 3-0 lead in NBA playoff history.
[1:43:10] Speaker 3: Some on this couch felt that way. I thought that
[1:43:12] Speaker 3: they were cooked.
[1:43:12] Speaker 1: Purple and Gold got a huge Game 6 win over
[1:43:15] Speaker 1: the Rockets in Houston with LeBron once again putting the
[1:43:17] Speaker 1: team on his back in what many thought was a
[1:43:20] Speaker 1: must-win game for the Lakers squad. Let's take a look
[1:43:22] Speaker 1: at some highlights just quickly. No big deal because we
[1:43:25] Speaker 1: just haven't discussed it. The game was on Friday. We
[1:43:28] Speaker 1: do our last shows on Thursday. I know some of
[1:43:30] Speaker 1: y'all were watching. So LeBron had a game-high 28 points.
[1:43:34] Speaker 4: Oh, good pass.
[1:43:36] Speaker 1: On 10 of 25 shooting, along with 8 assists, 7 rebounds,
[1:43:38] Speaker 1: 37 minutes to action. Rui Hachimura had a 21 and
[1:43:41] Speaker 1: 6 boards, going 5 for 7 from distance. Austin Reeves,
[1:43:45] Speaker 1: also known as Lemon Daddy in certain parts of Los Angeles,
[1:43:48] Speaker 1: had 15 on 7 of 14 shooting. As the Lakers
[1:43:50] Speaker 1: cruise to the 20-point win, LeBron now has 22... Series-clinching
[1:43:55] Speaker 1: wins on the road in his playoff career, passing Derek
[1:43:58] Speaker 1: Fisher and Tim Duncan for the most in NBA history.
[1:44:06] Speaker 4: Look at these Lakers.
[1:44:07] Speaker 2: Don't close out. Season on the line.
[1:44:10] Speaker 4: Oh, y'all was down by 30 at that point.
[1:44:13] Speaker 1: They did their best. Rockets gave their best effort. A
[1:44:15] Speaker 1: nearly full-strength Rocket squad. Nearly full-strength.
[1:44:20] Speaker 3: Almost there. I was wrong.
[1:44:22] Speaker 1: So after the series clinching win, LeBron pulled up to
[1:44:25] Speaker 1: NBA on Prime and had this to say about his
[1:44:28] Speaker 1: seemingly never-ending battle with Father Time.
[1:44:29] Speaker 3: We all keep saying.
[1:44:30] Speaker 4: It's you versus Father Time.
[1:44:33] Speaker 3: What's the score?
[1:44:35] Speaker 4: I'm kicking his ass.
[1:44:38] Speaker 9: He could go to somebody else at this point.
[1:44:42] Speaker 4: He already lost to me.
[1:44:43] Speaker 3: It's over with.
[1:44:45] Speaker 1: So LeBron averaged 23 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds for
[1:44:47] Speaker 1: the series, playing nearly 39 minutes per game. Headed into
[1:44:51] Speaker 1: the series without Luka and Austin Reeves. Lakers one of
[1:44:54] Speaker 1: the biggest underdogs in NBA playoff history. Overcame the odds.
[1:45:01] Speaker 1: If I'm the Rockets.
[1:45:03] Speaker 4: We're going to have to do some soul searching if
[1:45:08] Speaker 4: this team is going to stay together. Because they did
[1:45:12] Speaker 4: everything they didn't supposed to do.
[1:45:16] Speaker 3: On a court. If you go back and look, Two
[1:45:21] Speaker 3: of those guys are 6'10, right?
[1:45:24] Speaker 4: Right?
[1:45:25] Speaker 3: They can jump, right?
[1:45:26] Speaker 2: Supposedly.
[1:45:28] Speaker 3: They never challenge no shots at the rim.
[1:45:33] Speaker 4: Right?
[1:45:33] Speaker 3: They never jump. They never swap.
[1:45:35] Speaker 4: I mean, it's like the best defensive player is their
[1:45:39] Speaker 4: guard who challenges everything.
[1:45:40] Speaker 3: None of these guys challenge anything at the rim.
[1:45:44] Speaker 4: And it's like, wait, hold on. Y'all know y'all are
[1:45:46] Speaker 4: more athletic than the whole team. Like, what are y'all doing?
[1:45:49] Speaker 4: Why are y'all just sitting here shooting threes? There's nobody
[1:45:52] Speaker 4: back there that's going to block any of you guys.
[1:45:54] Speaker 4: You're settling on a team that's not athletic, so you're
[1:45:58] Speaker 4: playing to their strengths. Like we're like Sen Goon, you're
[1:46:03] Speaker 4: catching the ball at the three-point line.
[1:46:04] Speaker 3: You can't shoot. How is that helping your team out?
[1:46:08] Speaker 4: Because one thing you do got to do, because you
[1:46:09] Speaker 4: can't shoot the three, you got to put it on
[1:46:11] Speaker 4: the floor, you got to do your little shimmy shake, right?
[1:46:13] Speaker 4: You're going to go left, you're going to spin back right,
[1:46:15] Speaker 4: then you try to do one of these, right?
[1:46:17] Speaker 3: And Hayes was like, you know what? He don't actually
[1:46:20] Speaker 3: pump fake when he does it. Let me just jump.
[1:46:24] Speaker 4: So it's like, you have a team that's just not,
[1:46:30] Speaker 4: it's not being, they're just in the wrong positions in
[1:46:35] Speaker 4: how they're treating themselves. Like, No back doors, no lobs
[1:46:42] Speaker 4: at the rim. It's like, come on. Y'all are not
[1:46:46] Speaker 4: putting no pressure on nobody. And the dudes that drive
[1:46:49] Speaker 4: can't shoot the ball, right? So there's no three-way scoring
[1:46:55] Speaker 4: on this team right now.
[1:46:57] Speaker 2: Well, I hear you, Gil. And to M.A. Udoka's defense,
[1:47:05] Speaker 2: don't think you got too many lob throws on the team.
[1:47:09] Speaker 2: Passing ain't the best attribute. Besides Sangoon, passing ain't everybody's
[1:47:15] Speaker 2: best attribute.
[1:47:16] Speaker 3: Right?
[1:47:17] Speaker 4: I hear you.
[1:47:18] Speaker 2: What the expectation should be and what the skill set
[1:47:22] Speaker 2: is of the guys, that's so far and few in between.
[1:47:27] Speaker 2: You got a guy playing at a point who's not
[1:47:30] Speaker 2: a point.
[1:47:31] Speaker 4: You're forcing Thompson to be a point. He's not that.
[1:47:34] Speaker 3: No, no, no. That's what I'm saying.
[1:47:36] Speaker 2: But you're trying to force these guys into things that
[1:47:38] Speaker 2: they are not. You're trying to make Jabari Smith to
[1:47:40] Speaker 2: be a score, right? He is not. He's an open
[1:47:44] Speaker 2: jump shooter.
[1:47:44] Speaker 3: Yes, that's bad.
[1:47:45] Speaker 2: I'm saying he's an open jump shooter. You're putting pressure
[1:47:48] Speaker 2: on him to do things that he can't do, that
[1:47:50] Speaker 2: he's not comfortable doing yet. I ain't going to say
[1:47:51] Speaker 2: he can't. I ain't going to say he can't. He's
[1:47:54] Speaker 2: not comfortable doing those other things yet.
[1:47:56] Speaker 4: What he does do well is shoot.
[1:47:58] Speaker 2: The ball from the perimeter. You got to try to
[1:48:01] Speaker 2: get him open looks.
[1:48:02] Speaker 3: Wait, he can't drop out of Jake from Allstate?
[1:48:04] Speaker 2: Oh, I think he can.
[1:48:05] Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
[1:48:05] Speaker 3: I was going to say.
[1:48:06] Speaker 2: But I think he has to get it enough to
[1:48:07] Speaker 2: do those things, yes. But to go out and do them,
[1:48:11] Speaker 2: they're not doing them, right? Whatever they're putting him in
[1:48:13] Speaker 2: a position to or they just physically can't, we don't know.
[1:48:18] Speaker 4: But the team in this game. trouble.
[1:48:22] Speaker 2: Don't know what it's going to look like moving forward.
[1:48:25] Speaker 3: We don't know.
[1:48:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, it was an ugly home loss. But, yeah, I
[1:48:33] Speaker 2: got it. Yeah, I I got to give credit where
[1:48:36] Speaker 2: credit is due. The Lakers did what they were supposed
[1:48:38] Speaker 2: to in the first half.
[1:48:39] Speaker 3: And we went in tonight, too, though.
[1:48:40] Speaker 2: And I was dead wrong, but they played four. They
[1:48:43] Speaker 2: played three, and they was kicking the Lakers' ass.
[1:48:46] Speaker 3: I mean, kicking Houston's ass. Of course he can play forever.
[1:48:50] Speaker 3: Look who he's playing against.
[1:48:51] Speaker 5: He just turns into a very capable rocket squad. He
[1:48:54] Speaker 5: just turns into a power forward, slow, pass the ball,
[1:48:59] Speaker 5: do the back down shit.
[1:49:01] Speaker 3: Yeah, he can play for a while. You don't have
[1:49:04] Speaker 3: to be fast.
[1:49:07] Speaker 4: That's all he did.
[1:49:10] Speaker 3: Pop threes, back down. They don't force him to do
[1:49:13] Speaker 3: nothing else.
[1:49:15] Speaker 4: He's right.
[1:49:16] Speaker 7: He don't got to be super fast like he used to.
[1:49:19] Speaker 4: Turn it on every now and again. He can play
[1:49:21] Speaker 4: at this pace and this rate.
[1:49:24] Speaker 3: The game is about to make another shift.
[1:49:27] Speaker 4: Teams that has that specialist defensive player In a guard position,
[1:49:35] Speaker 4: it's hurting teams. And there's going to be a big
[1:49:39] Speaker 4: shift into the point where I would rather have a
[1:49:44] Speaker 4: guard who can shoot and can't play defense over a
[1:49:47] Speaker 4: defensive guy who can't score whatsoever. Because you're very limited.
[1:49:52] Speaker 2: Let me ask you this. Would you rather have a
[1:49:54] Speaker 2: rim protector... in that position over a guard.
[1:50:00] Speaker 4: Yes.
[1:50:00] Speaker 3: I'd rather have my, if my big, if I can,
[1:50:02] Speaker 3: if I'm not going to have a non-shooter. You had
[1:50:04] Speaker 3: a Rudy Gobert.
[1:50:04] Speaker 2: Would you have Rudy or Dyson Daniels?
[1:50:06] Speaker 4: I'd rather have a Rudy Gobert.
[1:50:07] Speaker 2: That's what I'm, all right.
[1:50:09] Speaker 4: So the fact that you have a Dyson Daniels and
[1:50:10] Speaker 4: all they're doing is just sitting in there because the
[1:50:13] Speaker 4: other guard, right, my guard can react. So the guard
[1:50:15] Speaker 4: who's guarding him, you can't shoot. I'm just going to
[1:50:17] Speaker 4: go for steals, clean it up, protect the other guard.
[1:50:20] Speaker 4: That's all that's going to happen. So you're just playing
[1:50:22] Speaker 4: four and five on offense.
[1:50:23] Speaker 3: I got you.
[1:50:23] Speaker 4: You know, so it's, it looks really bad because All
[1:50:27] Speaker 4: the teams are not playing very well who has that
[1:50:30] Speaker 4: one guy at that position. So they might just go back.
[1:50:34] Speaker 4: I'd rather have my big man who can't put the
[1:50:36] Speaker 4: ball in the basket.
[1:50:39] Speaker 1: So quickly on LeBron's battle with Father Time. Producers wanted
[1:50:42] Speaker 1: to know, this is not coming from me. LeBron had
[1:50:45] Speaker 1: more wins in this playoff series without Reeves and Doncic
[1:50:48] Speaker 1: in year 23 than Jordan did without Pippen in his
[1:50:52] Speaker 1: entire career.
[1:50:53] Speaker 3: They was ready to kill LeBron.
[1:50:56] Speaker 7: Huh?
[1:50:56] Speaker 4: 41-year-old.
[1:50:57] Speaker 3: He would have lost this. Oh, my God. Yeah, there
[1:50:59] Speaker 3: was no win for him. Legacy on the line. Okay,
[1:51:02] Speaker 3: we got to stop. Yeah, let him be joking right now.
[1:51:04] Speaker 3: Legacy on the line. No, there's no way.
[1:51:06] Speaker 4: Nobody's worried about joking. Nobody's worried about joking.
[1:51:08] Speaker 3: There's no legacy on the line. Just letting you know.
[1:51:12] Speaker 3: I don't even know where that comes from. That was
[1:51:14] Speaker 3: the discourse. You know that. Because it's called lazy.
[1:51:16] Speaker 4: How can somebody at 41, whatever he does, he go
[1:51:20] Speaker 4: out there and average four points right now.
[1:51:23] Speaker 3: His legacy's not on the line. Okay, was Jordan's legacy
[1:51:27] Speaker 3: on the line when he was with the goddamn Wizards? No,
[1:51:29] Speaker 3: what I'm saying is, when he was with the Wizards,
[1:51:31] Speaker 3: was his legacy on the line? No. Was Kobe's legacy
[1:51:34] Speaker 3: on the line when he didn't make the playoffs last four? No.
[1:51:37] Speaker 3: Was Kareem's legacy on the line.
[1:51:39] Speaker 4: Them last couple years? No. But what I'm saying is,
[1:51:43] Speaker 4: Your legacy has a window and whatever you do on
[1:51:46] Speaker 4: that window, great. Anything extra, we're just happy to see.
[1:51:50] Speaker 4: It's just that. There's nothing he can do moving forward
[1:51:54] Speaker 4: that's going to change anybody's opinion. He wins a championship
[1:51:58] Speaker 4: right now. There's no Jordan fan that's going to say,
[1:52:00] Speaker 4: you know what? He's in front of Jordan.
[1:52:03] Speaker 3: It's not happening.
[1:52:05] Speaker 4: Wait a minute. What did I say the other day?
[1:52:07] Speaker 4: This is interesting.
[1:52:08] Speaker 3: This is Stephen A. Smith. Stephen A.
[1:52:10] Speaker 4: Smith said it.
[1:52:11] Speaker 3: I don't give a fuck what he do.
[1:52:12] Speaker 4: He's not going to be in front of my guy.
[1:52:14] Speaker 4: He's not going to change people's opinions. No. Is that
[1:52:16] Speaker 4: what I said the other day?
[1:52:18] Speaker 9: Why are we counting all of the stuff that he's
[1:52:20] Speaker 9: doing at 41?
[1:52:21] Speaker 4: Who is?
[1:52:22] Speaker 3: Nobody is. Who's counting it?
[1:52:24] Speaker 9: Well, all the stats that he's accumulated over the last
[1:52:27] Speaker 9: five years are.
[1:52:29] Speaker 4: Added on to his legacy.
[1:52:30] Speaker 2: But it was already cemented, though.
[1:52:32] Speaker 9: So why are you adding on to the legacy? I'm
[1:52:35] Speaker 9: just trying.
[1:52:36] Speaker 4: Can I get my point across?
[1:52:39] Speaker 9: I'm saying what like if it can't be disrupted, how
[1:52:46] Speaker 9: can you keep adding on to it?
[1:52:49] Speaker 2: Who's adding on to it?
[1:52:51] Speaker 4: The stats are accumulating. Okay, the stats, but we're talking
[1:52:54] Speaker 4: about the legacy. Can I finish?
[1:52:55] Speaker 2: You're talking about the legacy, not the stats.
[1:52:56] Speaker 4: The stats are a part of his legacy.
[1:52:58] Speaker 3: No, it's not.
[1:52:59] Speaker 4: Yes.
[1:53:00] Speaker 9: Leading the NBA in all-time points, that's a part of
[1:53:04] Speaker 9: his legacy. All the free throw attempts, the playoff points,
[1:53:09] Speaker 9: all of the different things are contributing to the GOAT
[1:53:12] Speaker 9: conversation right now based on all the accumulation of the
[1:53:17] Speaker 9: things that he's been doing. Since this window, y'all say,
[1:53:21] Speaker 9: has closed. So my question is like, okay, if he
[1:53:24] Speaker 9: loses this series, it don't count against him.
[1:53:27] Speaker 3: But if he wins it, you go.
[1:53:29] Speaker 9: And say, at 41, he won in the first round with.
[1:53:33] Speaker 4: No Luka, no this, no that.
[1:53:34] Speaker 9: You got to put him against Jordan if he goes
[1:53:37] Speaker 9: to the conference finals.
[1:53:38] Speaker 4: You got him.
[1:53:39] Speaker 9: If he get his sixth ring or his fifth ring,
[1:53:42] Speaker 9: you got.
[1:53:43] Speaker 4: To give him. That's other people.
[1:53:45] Speaker 3: And what are the Jordan fans going to say? I
[1:53:46] Speaker 3: don't care.
[1:53:47] Speaker 4: Right.
[1:53:47] Speaker 9: I'm not talking about the Jordan fans. I'm talking about
[1:53:49] Speaker 9: what are you going to say? I'm just talking about
[1:53:51] Speaker 9: the criteria of legacy. I was saying that the window
[1:53:56] Speaker 9: was the window and that it couldn't work against him
[1:53:59] Speaker 9: if he loses. but he's still playing. And you're saying
[1:54:02] Speaker 9: it don't work against Jordan playing with the Wizards. And
[1:54:05] Speaker 9: it definitely does, because you bring up Jordan and the
[1:54:08] Speaker 9: Wizards when you don't have an argument about what he
[1:54:12] Speaker 9: did with the Bulls.
[1:54:13] Speaker 4: Wait, no, no, I'm saying, when you throw negativity on
[1:54:17] Speaker 4: the older guy, and I'm saying... How are you doing
[1:54:20] Speaker 4: this against him, but you didn't do it against no
[1:54:23] Speaker 4: other older guy who was just running around, doing whatever
[1:54:26] Speaker 4: they were doing?
[1:54:27] Speaker 3: Kareem might do it with your boss.
[1:54:29] Speaker 4: That's the point.
[1:54:30] Speaker 9: He's supposed to be the best ever. You're supposed to
[1:54:34] Speaker 9: get the most critique for the top star.
[1:54:37] Speaker 4: So when Kareem was at the end of his legs,
[1:54:40] Speaker 4: did any of those stats he put up, He's not
[1:54:43] Speaker 4: help him against Jordan when Jordan only had two rings
[1:54:46] Speaker 4: and only 18,000 points.
[1:54:48] Speaker 3: Nobody. None of those. None of those stats.
[1:54:52] Speaker 4: Of course not.
[1:54:54] Speaker 3: Of course.
[1:54:54] Speaker 4: What's the conversation?
[1:54:55] Speaker 3: Of course. Then your stats don't matter.
[1:54:58] Speaker 4: So no matter what Kareem did, no matter what anybody did,
[1:55:02] Speaker 4: when they seen Jordan, Jordan won a second.
[1:55:04] Speaker 7: Say it again.
[1:55:04] Speaker 3: When they seen.
[1:55:05] Speaker 4: Jordan, they didn't matter when they gave Jordan the crown.
[1:55:11] Speaker 3: Remember in the Olympics, when they were going to the Olympics,
[1:55:14] Speaker 3: 92 Olympics, who was the greatest player that ever lived?
[1:55:17] Speaker 3: Do you know what his stats look like? They didn't
[1:55:19] Speaker 3: have nothing to do with Kareem. Kareem had five rings,
[1:55:22] Speaker 3: six MVPs.
[1:55:23] Speaker 4: He had all of that.
[1:55:25] Speaker 3: But I don't think Biggs could be the greatest to
[1:55:27] Speaker 3: play the game.
[1:55:28] Speaker 4: Before Jordan, they were the greatest. But it didn't have
[1:55:33] Speaker 4: nothing to do with stats.
[1:55:34] Speaker 3: Yeah. remember when jordan 92 magic.
[1:55:38] Speaker 4: Got five rings nvps finals nvps kareem stats was he
[1:55:43] Speaker 4: was done he was done none of that mattered so
[1:55:48] Speaker 4: if you're going to change.
[1:55:49] Speaker 7: Your opinion i don't think kareem or you're.
[1:55:51] Speaker 4: Not there's nothing what i'm saying is there's nothing that
[1:55:54] Speaker 4: you can tell someone To change their minds.
[1:55:57] Speaker 3: To change their minds. Of their opinion. That's what I said.
[1:56:00] Speaker 3: That's what I said. That's what I said.
[1:56:02] Speaker 2: That's what I said.
[1:56:02] Speaker 4: That's what I said.
[1:56:04] Speaker 7: Your personal opinion.
[1:56:06] Speaker 3: Don't make it right.
[1:56:06] Speaker 7: Thank you.
[1:56:07] Speaker 3: That's my point.
[1:56:08] Speaker 4: Don't make it right. If you're talking, if you're saying
[1:56:11] Speaker 4: we're talking unbiased sports, then your opinion can play a factor.
[1:56:17] Speaker 3: Thank you.
[1:56:17] Speaker 4: What's so funny is preference. No, we argue. We argue
[1:56:21] Speaker 4: and we both do the same thing. Kobe's our favorite player,
[1:56:26] Speaker 4: but we have somebody different at the GOAT. Okay, yes.
[1:56:28] Speaker 3: Because you're reasonable, rational.
[1:56:30] Speaker 9: So do we use playoff records as a metric of
[1:56:33] Speaker 9: who the GOAT is based on 6-0, based on 4-6,
[1:56:38] Speaker 9: based on how many times you won finals, MVP, MVP,
[1:56:43] Speaker 9: all these things. They count, right?
[1:56:48] Speaker 3: Does getting there count too?
[1:56:49] Speaker 4: I remember older generation before the new ones came in,
[1:56:54] Speaker 4: Going to the championship actually mattered, right? We're in a
[1:56:59] Speaker 4: generation where you will say, I would rather not make
[1:57:02] Speaker 4: the playoffs than go to the championship and lose.
[1:57:05] Speaker 3: So if we're racing, one is gold, one is silver.
[1:57:09] Speaker 4: You're saying you would rather not make none of it
[1:57:13] Speaker 4: to laugh at my silver to not even start the race.
[1:57:16] Speaker 4: That's where we are. So you're basically saying Jordan is
[1:57:19] Speaker 4: 6-0 when he got there. but you're not going to
[1:57:23] Speaker 4: penalize him for when he couldn't get there. So Tatum
[1:57:26] Speaker 4: getting there at 22, Luka getting there at 20-something, they
[1:57:30] Speaker 4: already have a knock.
[1:57:31] Speaker 3: Against their career, even though that was Jordan's rookie season.
[1:57:34] Speaker 9: So if LeBron gets there and he wins this title
[1:57:37] Speaker 9: this year, doesn't.
[1:57:39] Speaker 4: It add to his legacy?
[1:57:40] Speaker 3: Are you going to change your opinion?
[1:57:42] Speaker 4: Am I going to change my opinion about what? About LeBron.
[1:57:46] Speaker 3: I said he was the GOAT. You said LeBron.
[1:57:50] Speaker 3: Yeah, we don't.
[1:57:52] Speaker 9: My question is why we can't criticize him if he fails,
[1:57:56] Speaker 9: but you want to celebrate him when he succeeds.
[1:57:57] Speaker 4: People are going to do either one. It doesn't make
[1:58:00] Speaker 4: sense to me.
[1:58:00] Speaker 3: If he loses, he loses.
[1:58:02] Speaker 9: It's against his legacy. If he wins, he wins. It's
[1:58:06] Speaker 9: for his legacy. It's just a hypocrisy to me. that
[1:58:10] Speaker 9: everybody jumps on because he's 41 and he does well
[1:58:13] Speaker 9: and it's like, yay. But then if he loses the
[1:58:16] Speaker 9: joint and it's like, he's 41. It doesn't do anything
[1:58:19] Speaker 9: to his legacy.
[1:58:20] Speaker 2: Because the people that like him are going to praise
[1:58:24] Speaker 2: him if he gets out of the first round. He
[1:58:26] Speaker 2: got out of the first round. His fans and everybody
[1:58:29] Speaker 2: are going to praise him. The people that dislike him,
[1:58:33] Speaker 2: they were hoping that he loses so they can go
[1:58:36] Speaker 2: on their tirades so that he's not the greatest. It's
[1:58:39] Speaker 2: both things are happening at the same time.
[1:58:42] Speaker 3: His fans listen. He's great, great, great, great, great.
[1:58:44] Speaker 2: Everybody over here like, damn, I hope that motherfucker lose
[1:58:47] Speaker 2: so I can talk my shit.
[1:58:48] Speaker 4: That's just what it is. If he wins, they're going
[1:58:51] Speaker 4: to add on to it.
[1:58:52] Speaker 2: The people, when he lose, they're going to keep piling.
[1:58:56] Speaker 4: On to the negative shit they got to say.
[1:58:57] Speaker 5: Anybody that wakes up at 40 to 41 and sees
[1:59:00] Speaker 5: what he's doing should be amazed.
[1:59:03] Speaker 3: It isn't warts. Win or lose. I think that's what
[1:59:06] Speaker 3: it is. We're amazed. We're not worried about the legacy
[1:59:08] Speaker 3: no more. We're just amazed.
[1:59:09] Speaker 2: It's already there.
[1:59:12] Speaker 5: When you talk about age and you're at the same
[1:59:15] Speaker 5: age and what he's doing on that floor, it's crazy.
[1:59:18] Speaker 3: When you're judging him, who are you judging him against?
[1:59:25] Speaker 3: When we say, all right, we're.
[1:59:27] Speaker 4: Going to penalize you if you lost, well... Who is
[1:59:30] Speaker 4: he being compared to? Because I'm pretty sure there's nobody
[1:59:34] Speaker 4: at 41 that who you got in front of him
[1:59:38] Speaker 4: will have any stats at that age. So that exempts
[1:59:41] Speaker 4: you from failure. You already succeeded. It should. Because you
[1:59:45] Speaker 4: look at the guys that did it. There's no such
[1:59:47] Speaker 4: thing as failure. There's no such thing as failure.
[1:59:48] Speaker 3: It's losing in the first round. You should just be
[1:59:49] Speaker 3: amazed at.
[1:59:50] Speaker 4: What he's doing right now.
[1:59:51] Speaker 3: No, it's not, man.
[1:59:52] Speaker 4: What would you call it? A fucking loss.
[1:59:54] Speaker 7: It should be just amazed at what he's doing.
[1:59:56] Speaker 4: Is it losing and failing? No, it's a loss.
[1:59:59] Speaker 7: It should still be just amazed at what I hope.
[2:00:01] Speaker 4: A losing, not failing? It is failure, but we're not
[2:00:03] Speaker 4: going to count it against you as a third option 41-year-old.
[2:00:06] Speaker 9: As a third.
[2:00:07] Speaker 3: That's moving the goalposts. No.
[2:00:10] Speaker 9: You want to call it a team sport? You want
[2:00:12] Speaker 9: to say you're a third option? You want to say
[2:00:14] Speaker 9: it is?
[2:00:15] Speaker 4: Listen. It was supposed to be 4-0.
[2:00:16] Speaker 9: It was impressive, like I said, for him to get
[2:00:19] Speaker 9: out of there without his mates.
[2:00:22] Speaker 4: Uh-huh. Very impressive.
[2:00:23] Speaker 9: LeBron did exactly what was expected of him.
[2:00:27] Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
[2:00:28] Speaker 4: Lead the team, be the vet.
[2:00:30] Speaker 9: He showed his leadership in the huddles.
[2:00:34] Speaker 4: He showed his determination.
[2:00:35] Speaker 9: He showed his focus on getting the ball and doing
[2:00:38] Speaker 9: what exactly needed to be done for them to win
[2:00:40] Speaker 9: the series. That is impressive. Not because he's 41. Because
[2:00:47] Speaker 9: he's a great basketball player. Because he's a great basketball player.
[2:00:51] Speaker 4: Doesn't matter.
[2:00:52] Speaker 7: This would be impressive if Bron was young.
[2:00:55] Speaker 4: Well, he failed when he was younger.
[2:00:56] Speaker 7: He didn't fail when he was younger.
[2:00:59] Speaker 4: As a team. As a team, okay.
[2:01:01] Speaker 3: He took his team.
[2:01:03] Speaker 7: He would have took that team to the final.
[2:01:07] Speaker 9: But he's been to eight finals in a row. So
[2:01:08] Speaker 9: that's not impressive if he gets past the first round.
[2:01:11] Speaker 9: But he went to eight finals straight, right? Ten finals straight, right?
[2:01:14] Speaker 9: He lost in some of those finals. He lost some, right?
[2:01:17] Speaker 9: So those were failures at a young age, right? failures
[2:01:22] Speaker 9: at a young age. Now that he's older, now that
[2:01:25] Speaker 9: he's older, he has more wisdom, more knowledge. He knows
[2:01:29] Speaker 9: how to take his team deeper. But if he loses,
[2:01:31] Speaker 9: guess what? It's a fucking failure. That's why this is
[2:01:35] Speaker 9: impressive for him to get to the next round. and
[2:01:38] Speaker 9: show resilience that he can get over the hump with
[2:01:41] Speaker 9: or without Luka. If he can do that, that adds
[2:01:44] Speaker 9: to his legacy.
[2:01:45] Speaker 4: But he loses in this.
[2:01:47] Speaker 9: Next round against OKC. Does it go against his legacy?
[2:01:51] Speaker 4: Does it go against the guys who couldn't even physically
[2:01:53] Speaker 4: make it to that?
[2:01:54] Speaker 3: I'm not talking about them.
[2:01:55] Speaker 4: See, he's on the mountain. But it is because that's
[2:01:57] Speaker 4: the legacy. The legacy is against everybody else. So you're
[2:02:00] Speaker 4: trying to judge him at his worst of his career.
[2:02:04] Speaker 9: To everyone's best? No. You judge him throughout his career.
[2:02:08] Speaker 9: Throughout his career. If you're going to add on accolades
[2:02:12] Speaker 9: at the end of his career based on him accumulating
[2:02:15] Speaker 9: a bunch of shit, that stats and stuff that's going
[2:02:18] Speaker 9: to help his legacy, you got to go back and
[2:02:20] Speaker 9: then judge his beginning of his career too. Like everyone does.
[2:02:23] Speaker 3: No.
[2:02:24] Speaker 4: Remember, everybody's last couple years is added to their career.
[2:02:30] Speaker 4: So why is his not? Y'all saying his don't count.
[2:02:33] Speaker 9: Y'all saying this window is closed. So if you're saying
[2:02:37] Speaker 9: this added on to everybody else's end of their career,
[2:02:40] Speaker 9: why can't it be added on his?
[2:02:41] Speaker 7: Why was Kobe last game 60 impressive?
[2:02:44] Speaker 9: It wasn't impressive.
[2:02:45] Speaker 4: Yes, it was.
[2:02:46] Speaker 3: Okay, now it wasn't.
[2:02:48] Speaker 4: Not to me.
[2:02:49] Speaker 7: And he did it so many times when he was younger.
[2:02:52] Speaker 9: That game wasn't impressive.
[2:02:55] Speaker 4: That game wasn't impressive. Wow.
[2:02:58] Speaker 3: It was.
[2:02:59] Speaker 4: It was very impressive. Where he was, where his.
[2:03:01] Speaker 3: Body was at that moment in time. That was impressive.
[2:03:05] Speaker 9: It would have been impressive if he took them to
[2:03:09] Speaker 9: the playoffs. He took them to the playoffs and won
[2:03:12] Speaker 9: the first round. And winning the first round would have
[2:03:14] Speaker 9: been impressive.
[2:03:15] Speaker 3: What else was impressive?
[2:03:16] Speaker 2: The way Dirk looked at 41. The way Tim Duncan
[2:03:19] Speaker 2: looked at 40. The way Vince Carter looked at 40.
[2:03:22] Speaker 2: That's fucking impressive.
[2:03:24] Speaker 4: I know what I felt like at 40. That was impressive.
[2:03:28] Speaker 1: Let's look ahead to this Sunday series. Austin Reeves back
[2:03:31] Speaker 1: in the mix with two playoff games under his belt.
[2:03:34] Speaker 1: Luka's begun some on-court work. Status still remains uncertain for
[2:03:37] Speaker 1: this series. Thunder swept the season series with the Lakers
[2:03:40] Speaker 1: by an average of 29.3 points per game. But, you know,
[2:03:45] Speaker 1: closer than those numbers indicate. It's the worst of any
[2:03:48] Speaker 1: playoff matchup in NBA history. Lakers are 15.5. Wait, what'd
[2:03:52] Speaker 1: you say?
[2:03:53] Speaker 2: They kicked your ass by 29 a game during the
[2:03:55] Speaker 2: regular season.
[2:03:56] Speaker 3: In the regular season. What are they going to do
[2:03:57] Speaker 3: in the playoffs?
[2:03:58] Speaker 2: Favorite by 15.
[2:03:59] Speaker 4: Reading numbers.
[2:03:59] Speaker 1: So they're a favorite by 15.5 points tonight. That's the
[2:04:02] Speaker 1: most LeBron has been an underdog in any game in
[2:04:04] Speaker 1: his 23-year NBA career. Regular season or playoffs. I just
[2:04:08] Speaker 1: feel like the script writers.
[2:04:09] Speaker 3: I'm just trying to figure out what is the point
[2:04:11] Speaker 3: of all this. It's to ask you, Gil. We woke up.
[2:04:13] Speaker 3: We woke up. So what do the Lakers need?
[2:04:17] Speaker 4: We woke up.
[2:04:18] Speaker 3: It's a Laker Tuesday. Single de Mayo. All the Hispanics
[2:04:23] Speaker 3: right now getting drunk.
[2:04:24] Speaker 7: We are ready to cheer.
[2:04:27] Speaker 3: And you coming over here with 15.5. Why nobody want
[2:04:29] Speaker 3: to hear none of that shit, man?
[2:04:34] Speaker 4: No. Rewrite that. Tell me, oh, yeah, you know, the
[2:04:37] Speaker 4: sportsbook's got him dropping it.
[2:04:39] Speaker 3: We're going to win it.
[2:04:40] Speaker 4: Like, give us some hope. Would you like some hope? Yes.
[2:04:43] Speaker 3: LeBron, 4-0 in his career on Cinco de Mayo.
[2:04:46] Speaker 4: Oh! And it's Taco, too.
[2:04:48] Speaker 3: And it's Taco. And it's Taco Tuesday.
[2:04:53] Speaker 1: The rarest thing of the mile, Taco Tuesday combo.
[2:04:56] Speaker 3: Listen, the Lakers need an act of God to help them.
[2:04:59] Speaker 4: No.
[2:05:00] Speaker 3: Why are we going to get this? We're getting this
[2:05:02] Speaker 3: first one. Listen, we got a mole over there. We
[2:05:05] Speaker 3: got Caruso in there. Caruso know when he got his
[2:05:09] Speaker 3: first ring. We know when he got his first ring.
[2:05:11] Speaker 3: Y'all might get one win.
[2:05:13] Speaker 2: He going for threes. He going for threes.
[2:05:17] Speaker 4: I don't think that's going to work.
[2:05:22] Speaker 1: Either way, make sure you pull up for our Lexus
[2:05:24] Speaker 1: Thunder live.
[2:05:26] Speaker 3: I'm going to just put it out there.
[2:05:29] Speaker 4: Adam Silver, you hearing this? Because I see you've been listening.
[2:05:32] Speaker 4: I see your tanking thing. You followed mine.
[2:05:35] Speaker 3: Listen, listen.
[2:05:36] Speaker 4: If you want the ratings to be the best ever,
[2:05:39] Speaker 4: a Laker New York finals. LeBron has never played in
[2:05:44] Speaker 4: the finals in New York. New York ain't been in
[2:05:46] Speaker 4: the finals since 1999. Before blacks and whites got together
[2:05:51] Speaker 4: in the NBA.
[2:05:52] Speaker 3: You said what year? Haven't won since 73, haven't been
[2:05:56] Speaker 3: in the finals since 99. Since 73, yeah, when it
[2:05:58] Speaker 3: was there. See, since they merged.
[2:05:59] Speaker 1: They were starting to hang out.
[2:06:03] Speaker 5: Color bathrooms in the arena.
[2:06:04] Speaker 7: It was color bathrooms in there.
[2:06:07] Speaker 3: Since then. There was still a color section.
[2:06:10] Speaker 4: So this right here is to be the biggest. You
[2:06:12] Speaker 4: see New York, what they're doing in the second round.
[2:06:14] Speaker 4: It'd be amazing for ratings. Make it happen. Tupac and Biggie.
[2:06:20] Speaker 4: Bad boys versus Death Row.
[2:06:22] Speaker 3: Come to L.A. Game one tonight. Pull up to the Lakers.
[2:06:25] Speaker 1: Thunder live watch party streaming exclusively on Twitch.
[2:06:28] Speaker 2: Wishful thinking. Hey, one thing I do know. I was
[2:06:31] Speaker 2: wrong in the first round. It'll be wrong again, God
[2:06:36] Speaker 2: damn it. Are you picking the Lakers? You was wrong
[2:06:38] Speaker 2: about what? The Lakers not beating North Houston.
[2:06:40] Speaker 4: Oh, I thought you was going to say Denver. Them two?
[2:06:44] Speaker 3: And?
[2:06:44] Speaker 4: Gills Arena live watch party. Hold on.
[2:06:47] Speaker 2: So was you wrong about Jason Tatum coming back then?
[2:06:49] Speaker 2: You want to be right about so much shit, nigga?
[2:06:51] Speaker 3: No, I wasn't.
[2:06:52] Speaker 4: We will get into that tomorrow.
[2:06:54] Speaker 3: Was it worth it?
[2:06:55] Speaker 4: I was right.
[2:06:55] Speaker 3: No, you was not.
[2:06:56] Speaker 4: It was definitely worth it. It was definitely worth it.
[2:07:02] Speaker 9: Right about the guy who got him there definitely ended
[2:07:05] Speaker 9: up not being the one taking them.
[2:07:07] Speaker 4: They're not work That's.
[2:07:08] Speaker 9: All it was the last three shots in the last

[2:07:27] Speaker 9: Because they wanted to. No, they didn't play game seven
[2:07:29] Speaker 9: because the staff were hurt.
[2:07:30] Speaker 3: They took precautions. They took precautions.

[2:07:59] Speaker 1: We're talking selfish. Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown.
[2:08:03] Speaker 3: He played. Goddamn time.
[2:08:05] Speaker 4: Jalen Brown didn't do what he was supposed to do.
[2:08:07] Speaker 4: That's all it was.
