[0:47] Speaker 3: not the saying.
[0:48] Speaker 4: You heard Draymond say, I won some games for him.
[0:51] Speaker 1: Big shots. He said it. He said it. So that
[0:53] Speaker 1: means I'm a champ, boy.
[0:55] Speaker 3: No, he said he won some games.
[0:57] Speaker 4: I won some games.
[0:57] Speaker 1: I know championship games.
[0:58] Speaker 4: But I won some to get there. My shot was
[1:01] Speaker 4: a big shot. Like Robert Ory, big shot by.
[1:04] Speaker 3: Man, hell nah. I'm like the.

[1:23] Speaker 4: Three. Damn, you just lasting everything on this damn couch.
[1:27] Speaker 3: Three?
[1:28] Speaker 4: You can't be talking like you big shit.
[1:30] Speaker 1: You ain't got fold. I was the eighth youngest to
[1:36] Speaker 1: do it by 25.
[1:38] Speaker 4: Three and three.
[1:39] Speaker 3: It was only nine. No, nigga, that's recent.
[1:42] Speaker 4: That used to be rookies at 25 back in your day.
[1:45] Speaker 3: That ain't my problem, nigga. It's too old to get
[1:47] Speaker 3: a lead. That ain't my problem. It took them three years.
[1:52] Speaker 1: That ain't my problem, fam, you know.
[1:55] Speaker 3: What I mean?
[1:57] Speaker 1: All I'm saying is I was nice. And then, like, the,
[2:02] Speaker 1: let's see.
[2:02] Speaker 3: I get it.
[2:03] Speaker 1: The Tatums.
[2:03] Speaker 4: You at least had a good team. The Lucas, they,
[2:05] Speaker 4: you know. You at least had a good team. He was, like,
[2:08] Speaker 4: the first to make it on a bad team. So
[2:09] Speaker 4: that's kind of. I made a lot of shit on
[2:11] Speaker 4: a bad team. You had a good team. You had
[2:14] Speaker 4: a solid team. You had three players.
[2:16] Speaker 1: You had a good team.
[2:16] Speaker 3: That was three players because of me.
[2:20] Speaker 1: What are you talking about? I like your energy.
[2:22] Speaker 3: I like your energy. Twan was a sixth.
[2:23] Speaker 1: Man when he was in Dallas.
[2:24] Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
[2:26] Speaker 1: That's better.
[2:27] Speaker 3: 20,000.
[2:28] Speaker 1: 20,000. He has 50, though.
[2:29] Speaker 3: No, he has 50.
[2:30] Speaker 1: That's hard to do.
[2:31] Speaker 3: No, no.
[2:31] Speaker 1: He was the go-to man and go to state. And
[2:34] Speaker 1: then he was a sixth man. And then when he
[2:36] Speaker 1: came back to us, I'm the man now. Karan liked that. Yeah, Karan. No,
[2:39] Speaker 1: but you know, Karan came after.
[2:42] Speaker 3: OK.
[2:42] Speaker 1: The way you talk, like, they don't get mad. They
[2:45] Speaker 1: don't hit you up.
[2:47] Speaker 4: Like, Antoine don't get mad and talk. Texture, Quran, tough juice.
[2:53] Speaker 4: It was established in the locker room. Oh, so you
[2:55] Speaker 4: told him that back then.
[2:56] Speaker 1: I got the ball. This ain't nothing new.
[2:58] Speaker 3: I got the ball. Y'all run around.
[3:00] Speaker 4: This ain't nothing new.
[3:00] Speaker 1: This ain't nothing new. You was there? I was there.
[3:04] Speaker 1: I seen it.
[3:05] Speaker 3: And I was hurt, too.
[3:06] Speaker 1: You won't say, sir.
[3:07] Speaker 3: I was already hurt.
[3:08] Speaker 4: I'm a champ, baby.
[3:09] Speaker 1: I can always say, sir.
[3:11] Speaker 3: Anyhow.
[3:13] Speaker 1: Hey, listen. That was a hell of a turn.
[3:15] Speaker 3: Look. Yeah.
[3:19] Speaker 1: Antoine is the franchise. I'm just 15th player.
[3:22] Speaker 3: Then I became a starter. And then I left.
[3:26] Speaker 1: He left to go to Dallas. I went to Washington.
[3:31] Speaker 1: We played one year away from each other.
[3:33] Speaker 3: Got back.
[3:34] Speaker 1: I'm the man. You take the back seat. Your ass
[3:38] Speaker 1: is second option.
[3:40] Speaker 4: I told you to get in that back seat.
[3:44] Speaker 2: Anyways, we have a lot of things to discuss on
[3:46] Speaker 2: this show today. Here's what's cracking in the arena today.
[3:53] Speaker 1: Rockets finally have a point guard to facilitate for their
[3:55] Speaker 1: big three of KD, Alperin, Shangun, and Amin Thompson. Will
[3:59] Speaker 1: Houston be a problem this season? What, Gil?
[4:04] Speaker 4: That's the big three?
[4:05] Speaker 1: No, no, no. That's a big three. We got to
[4:06] Speaker 1: start paying attention to these goddamn photos. That's the big three.
[4:10] Speaker 1: There was a photo that I seen. I looked at
[4:13] Speaker 1: the height on it, but I seen the photo. It
[4:16] Speaker 1: was with the Hawks, Joe Johnson. And I'm looking at
[4:19] Speaker 1: the picture and Joe Johnson, I'm saying, how is he
[4:20] Speaker 1: the same height as Al Horford and Josh Smith? And
[4:23] Speaker 1: it's all the angle. Then you see Joe Johnson in
[4:26] Speaker 1: real life. That ain't no 6'8. That is not, he's
[4:31] Speaker 1: not 6'8. How tall is he? About 6'10, 6'11.
[4:35] Speaker 3: Joe?
[4:36] Speaker 1: Joe is tall as shit. I'm 6'10. When was the
[4:41] Speaker 1: last time you seen him?
[4:42] Speaker 4: I'm 6'7.
[4:43] Speaker 1: He's towering.
[4:44] Speaker 3: Like, he's like, he's like, damn.
[4:45] Speaker 4: He probably inches shorter than you.
[4:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, barely.
[4:49] Speaker 3: Like, so I'm looking at a man.
[4:51] Speaker 1: I'm like, a man.
[4:54] Speaker 3: Like, what is he?
[4:55] Speaker 4: A man.
[4:56] Speaker 1: What's his name? A man.
[4:57] Speaker 4: It's a man.
[4:58] Speaker 1: It's a man, but it's spelled a man. It's our
[5:01] Speaker 1: a man. It's his a man.
[5:02] Speaker 3: A man.
[5:03] Speaker 1: Yeah. That's a cool little. So, what do they have
[5:06] Speaker 1: him at? 6'7? 6'7. Your name can't be a man
[5:09] Speaker 1: and you doing that sign. A man. He ain't 6'7.
[5:12] Speaker 3: Anywho, let's keep going. I'm just saying, he's not 6'7.
[5:15] Speaker 3: All right. We will discuss.
[5:17] Speaker 2: We have tons of discussion on the show. Utah continues
[5:21] Speaker 2: to solidify their young core, signing former first-rounder Keontae George
[5:25] Speaker 2: to a five-year extension. Are the Jazz ready to go
[5:29] Speaker 2: from ass to cash? And the Clippers have a new
[5:32] Speaker 2: interim governor to replace the suspended Steve Ballmer. After suffering
[5:35] Speaker 2: the harshest punishment in league history, will their streak of
[5:38] Speaker 2: 15 straight winning.
[5:40] Speaker 1: Seasons come to an end? And, ladies and gentlemen, we
[5:43] Speaker 1: have a special announcement.
[5:45] Speaker 2: Mostly Fans is back for our Super Chat.
[5:47] Speaker 1: So throw something in the offering plate. Drop your questions.
[5:50] Speaker 1: We will pick some to answer at the end of
[5:52] Speaker 1: the show. They got to throw something in the offering
[5:53] Speaker 1: plate first.
[5:54] Speaker 4: Oh, for the smoke. Okay, my bad.
[5:55] Speaker 1: For me to get the smoke. All right, this smoke
[5:57] Speaker 1: is not cheap. All right. We imported it. Some imported smoke.
[6:03] Speaker 3: Some imported smoke from Boston.
[6:05] Speaker 1: But nonetheless, before we get into all that, we got
[6:07] Speaker 1: to talk about something.

[7:42] Speaker 3: All right.
[7:43] Speaker 2: So we got a lot to discuss in the show,
[7:44] Speaker 2: but we got to start with something interesting that happened
[7:46] Speaker 2: on the app formerly known as Twitter. Swaggy, you're active
[7:49] Speaker 2: on social media. You've been known to post some interesting things.
[7:52] Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
[7:53] Speaker 4: What did I do, man?
[7:54] Speaker 2: What did you do now? Yesterday at 1.52 p.m. Pacific time,
[7:58] Speaker 2: you tweeted the following.
[7:59] Speaker 1: Let's look. Take a look.
[8:01] Speaker 2: He said, I think I might be the Ray J
[8:04] Speaker 2: of the NBA. So quickly, Swaggy, why do you think
[8:09] Speaker 2: that you might be the Ray J of the NBA?
[8:11] Speaker 2: Where did that come from?
[8:13] Speaker 4: I hit it first, you know?
[8:16] Speaker 3: Oh, okay, okay.
[8:18] Speaker 4: No, no, I am, though, because think about it.
[8:19] Speaker 1: No, I was like, because just Ray J, there's so many,
[8:23] Speaker 1: there's just so many layers of Ray J.
[8:26] Speaker 4: I'm like on each layer, low-key, though. I got my Brandy,
[8:29] Speaker 4: you Brandy, I got Brandy by my side, you famous.
[8:33] Speaker 1: For the love of Ray J.
[8:34] Speaker 4: Think about it, though, like, me and Ray J, like,
[8:38] Speaker 4: people love us, but they don't know what they love
[8:40] Speaker 4: us for. Like, I've never been an all-star. They ain't Well,
[8:45] Speaker 4: I won a championship. I can't say I didn't win,
[8:47] Speaker 4: but think about it.
[8:48] Speaker 3: Ray J got some nice looks.
[8:50] Speaker 1: What hits? He got name a hit. One wish.
[8:52] Speaker 3: One wish.
[8:52] Speaker 4: See?
[8:52] Speaker 1: One wish. That's all you really need. That's all you need.
[8:56] Speaker 4: That's what I mean. That's why you're.
[9:00] Speaker 3: Ray J.
[9:00] Speaker 1: You got to work. Ray J is a global icon.
[9:03] Speaker 4: Like me. Reality TV. I got the white woman. I
[9:07] Speaker 4: got the white woman. I got the TV.
[9:11] Speaker 3: I got Brandy.
[9:13] Speaker 4: I started stuff y'all don't give me credit for.
[9:16] Speaker 1: Like what? Tunnel walk.
[9:19] Speaker 4: That's all swag.
[9:20] Speaker 3: Tunnel walk?
[9:21] Speaker 4: Social media. They didn't want us to do that back then.
[9:28] Speaker 4: And I say stuff that make you think. You be
[9:31] Speaker 4: laughing at first, and then when you go home, you
[9:32] Speaker 4: be like, damn, swag might have a point.
[9:35] Speaker 1: So just like when you said, I think I might
[9:37] Speaker 1: be the Ray J of the NBA. See, now think
[9:39] Speaker 1: about it. Now, are you thinking about it?
[9:41] Speaker 3: No, I'm not.
[9:43] Speaker 5: What about when you said the football guys could train?
[9:47] Speaker 4: Ray J said he wouldn't take showers, remember? We get
[9:52] Speaker 4: so much work that we comfortable in our skin.
[9:55] Speaker 1: You meant that? You meant that?
[9:58] Speaker 4: What, the... Aaron Ronald?
[10:01] Speaker 1: Yeah, you meant that? Aaron Ronald. Nah, man.
[10:06] Speaker 3: Check this out.
[10:07] Speaker 1: You said you the Ray J, but look, the difference
[10:10] Speaker 1: is he made a billionaire and that billionaire made other billionaires.
[10:19] Speaker 1: The girl you was with, she kind of made you
[10:21] Speaker 1: more famous, and then she became irrelevant.
[10:24] Speaker 3: So I don't know how that works.
[10:26] Speaker 1: Still popular in certain sites. They mess with you, they just,
[10:28] Speaker 1: their life falls apart. Still popular in certain sites.
[10:31] Speaker 3: Look.
[10:32] Speaker 1: Look, you brandy, though.
[10:34] Speaker 4: That's all that matters.
[10:35] Speaker 3: I'm the famous one that don't talk to you no more.
[10:39] Speaker 3: Makes sense.
[10:40] Speaker 4: Just put a wig on.
[10:41] Speaker 1: I make one wish.
[10:42] Speaker 3: Talk to my sister again.
[10:43] Speaker 1: All right, well. That's just it.
[10:46] Speaker 3: You know they from the Valley, right? They went to Billigan.
[10:49] Speaker 1: They went to where? Milliken. Milliken.
[10:50] Speaker 4: What's that? Milliken. Milliken.
[10:53] Speaker 1: Milliken.
[10:53] Speaker 3: It's a school. Middle school.
[10:55] Speaker 1: Oh, middle school. Yeah, he went to middle school. Milliken did? Mm-hmm.
[10:59] Speaker 1: Shout out to Ray Jackson. Yeah, he's a Valley kid.
[11:02] Speaker 2: Also known as Brandy's brother. All right, let's get into
[11:04] Speaker 2: some basketball discourse. I just wanted to clear the air
[11:05] Speaker 2: on that. I had a bunch of people hit me
[11:07] Speaker 2: on Twitter about what's going on with swag right now.
[11:10] Speaker 4: Swaggy J.
[11:11] Speaker 1: Swaggy J.
[11:12] Speaker 3: Swaggy J.
[11:12] Speaker 2: All right, well, let's get into some basketball discourse. Rockets
[11:15] Speaker 2: open training camp on Wednesday. Have their media day today.
[11:18] Speaker 2: before going overseas to play the Mavs in Macau next month.
[11:22] Speaker 2: Both teams are allowed to start camp a week early
[11:24] Speaker 2: because they're traveling outside of North America for a preseason game.
[11:27] Speaker 2: Houston had championship aspirations after making the blockbuster trade for
[11:31] Speaker 2: Kevin Durant last summer, but after losing Fred Van Vliet
[11:34] Speaker 2: before training camp with a season-ending knee injury, squad was
[11:37] Speaker 2: forced to go with a point guard by committee with
[11:39] Speaker 2: Amin Thompson, Alperin Shangoon, KD, and Reed Shepard handling the responsibility.
[11:44] Speaker 2: Rockets finished fifth in the West with a record of 52-30.
[11:47] Speaker 2: exact same record they had in 2025, suffered a first-round
[11:51] Speaker 2: exit just like they did in 2025, as Durant appeared
[11:53] Speaker 2: in just two of their six playoff games due to injury.
[11:56] Speaker 2: Houston hoping for better luck this season with FVV on
[12:00] Speaker 2: the way back. Rockets no longer in need to institute
[12:03] Speaker 2: that point guard by committee. And Amin Thompson now locked
[12:05] Speaker 2: in through 2032. Alperen Shangoon and Jabari Smith Jr. still
[12:09] Speaker 2: yet to enter their prime. The additions of Marcus Smart
[12:12] Speaker 2: and Bogdan Bogdanovich to the bench and a 38-year-old Kevin
[12:15] Speaker 2: Durant still with plenty in the tank Rockets are a
[12:18] Speaker 2: potential contender caught between the present and the future.
[12:22] Speaker 1: So, Swaggy, we will start with you. Where do the
[12:25] Speaker 1: Rockets sit in the.
[12:25] Speaker 2: Western Conference title contender conversation as we enter training camp?
[12:31] Speaker 4: I like it. They won 52 games without Fred Link
[12:34] Speaker 4: last year. I think bringing him back, the other guys
[12:38] Speaker 4: don't have to think as much. You know, it's hard
[12:42] Speaker 4: for a young player that have offensive talent But you
[12:46] Speaker 4: got to think about everybody else on the floor. Sometimes
[12:48] Speaker 4: that takes away from you, you know, being aggressive out there.
[12:52] Speaker 4: So I see them being in the same spot about three, four,
[12:56] Speaker 4: probably four or five, to tell you the truth.
[13:01] Speaker 1: And Sanguno had to... So basically the same spot they were.
[13:05] Speaker 4: In, right? Yeah, yeah.
[13:07] Speaker 1: 49, 50 games.
[13:07] Speaker 4: Sanguno had to try to make moves from the three-point line.
[13:12] Speaker 4: He was trying to be too much of a joker,
[13:15] Speaker 4: had that joker tag on him. Trying to cross bigs over,
[13:19] Speaker 4: it just didn't look right. And that helps KD. KD
[13:23] Speaker 4: and I had some of the best point guards with
[13:24] Speaker 4: him on every team he'd been with. Even though he's
[13:28] Speaker 4: a bonafide scorer, you still need somebody to help you
[13:32] Speaker 4: put in spots sometimes to get easier.
[13:34] Speaker 1: That could go from 25 to about 27.
[13:37] Speaker 3: Okay.
[13:37] Speaker 1: Let's shift over to you, Boogie.
[13:41] Speaker 2: When you look at this Rocket squad, Got FVV back,
[13:45] Speaker 2: bringing in Marcus Smart, Bogdan Bogdanovich, re-signed or gave Amin
[13:49] Speaker 2: Thompson an extension. Tari Easton got an extension as well.
[13:53] Speaker 2: Good mix of a young crew and veteran leadership. What's
[13:57] Speaker 2: your expectation for the Rockets this season? I expect them
[13:59] Speaker 2: to be better. Obviously, getting Fred Van Fleet back is
[14:03] Speaker 2: huge for them. It gives them that floor leader. It
[14:06] Speaker 2: creates that balance for those offensive guys out there. You
[14:10] Speaker 2: get that coach on the floor to kind of, you know,
[14:12] Speaker 2: get you through tough situations. It was a lot of
[14:15] Speaker 2: times during the last season where, you know, their offense
[14:18] Speaker 2: kind of became stagnant. So having a guy like Fred
[14:21] Speaker 2: Van Fleet in there, you know, corrects that. I think
[14:24] Speaker 2: it was also huge for him to add a guy
[14:26] Speaker 2: like Marcus Smart and Bogdanovich. You get that veteran presence,
[14:30] Speaker 2: those veteran guards off the bench that.
[14:34] Speaker 1: Has plenty of playoff experience and, you know, can help.
[14:38] Speaker 5: That mix of young guys, you know, sometimes the lights
[14:41] Speaker 5: may be too big for those young guys.
[14:44] Speaker 1: So having insurance like a market smart.
[14:45] Speaker 3: And a Bogdanovich, you know, helps that group. So, uh,
[14:49] Speaker 3: I expect them to be a lot better than last year.
[14:51] Speaker 5: Um, the West did get better over the summer and
[14:55] Speaker 5: that's more so due to, you know, young guys getting
[14:58] Speaker 5: older and being, becoming more seasoned and having more experience.
[15:02] Speaker 1: So, uh, I do think the Rockets got better. Uh,
[15:06] Speaker 1: So I expect them to, if.
[15:07] Speaker 5: They won 52 games last year, another 51 season is,
[15:12] Speaker 5: I think, is on the rise or on the cusp
[15:14] Speaker 5: for this team. So Fred Van Fleet is huge for them.
[15:17] Speaker 5: Steven Adams as well. I forgot about Big Steve-O. So
[15:21] Speaker 5: they'll be a complete team. The young guys will be
[15:24] Speaker 5: a little bit more experienced. And overall, just having Fred back,
[15:28] Speaker 5: I think that makes everybody in that starting group a
[15:31] Speaker 5: lot more.
[15:31] Speaker 3: Comfortable on the floor.
[15:34] Speaker 2: When you look at this Rocket Squad, fifth in the
[15:36] Speaker 2: West last season, 52-30. They were second in the West
[15:39] Speaker 2: in the season prior, also with a record of 52-30.
[15:42] Speaker 2: Make that blockbuster trade for KD, thinking that's going to
[15:47] Speaker 2: get them over the top. Obviously lose FVV before last
[15:49] Speaker 2: season started with the ACL. A little shaky. More turnover
[15:54] Speaker 2: prone last season. Doubled a lot of issues with the
[15:56] Speaker 2: offense being stagnant at times.
[15:57] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. I'm still trying to figure out if they
[16:03] Speaker 1: all changed their game this summer. Like, having Fred back
[16:08] Speaker 1: is cool, but did you change the way you play
[16:13] Speaker 1: the game?
[16:14] Speaker 3: Like, you have.
[16:15] Speaker 1: Probably one of the most athletic, long, versatile team.
[16:22] Speaker 3: In the NBA.
[16:24] Speaker 1: I mean, you have a lineup where you can go.
[16:29] Speaker 3: 6'11, 6'11, 6'11, 6'11, across the fucking board.
[16:33] Speaker 1: And your most athletic players don't average more than two
[16:39] Speaker 1: free throws. Because you want to sit there and you
[16:42] Speaker 1: got a bunch of 6'11 guys who want to shoot
[16:43] Speaker 1: corner threes. Like, everybody playing small ball, you're the only
[16:48] Speaker 1: team playing big ball, and you're shooting threes. Like, there
[16:54] Speaker 1: was no way the Lakers should have beat them. But
[16:57] Speaker 1: if you're going to shoot threes against the slow white team,
[17:01] Speaker 1: of course, unless you're going to be just hitting, of
[17:04] Speaker 1: course you're going to lose. You're not being athletic. You're
[17:06] Speaker 1: not running to the rim. You're not diving. This is
[17:09] Speaker 1: supposed to be a team that should be able to
[17:11] Speaker 1: pick up full court, lock everybody down. There should be
[17:15] Speaker 1: a block party at the rim. They should just be
[17:17] Speaker 1: opening the floodgates and three, four people just jump and
[17:20] Speaker 1: try to swing at it. But it's a finesse team. Like,
[17:25] Speaker 1: it's literally a finesse team. You really have your athletic guy.
[17:28] Speaker 1: Even Ahmed take two 2.5 threes. He doesn't even hit
[17:35] Speaker 1: the six, seven free throws. You're the most athletic guy.
[17:38] Speaker 1: You go to the basket, you should be able to
[17:39] Speaker 1: get fouled. So it's like it's a team that don't
[17:42] Speaker 1: want contact. So unless they change that part of it,
[17:46] Speaker 1: Fred is not going to, you know, unless your little
[17:48] Speaker 1: man is going to get hit the whole time. Like
[17:51] Speaker 1: Brunson helps his team because he's going to get even cat, cat,
[17:54] Speaker 1: cat plays hard, right? He's going to get fouls, right?
[17:58] Speaker 1: You need someone soaking up these fouls. And if you're
[18:00] Speaker 1: athletic guys or not, that means Katie is getting in
[18:02] Speaker 1: more than he wants to, right? It should be to
[18:05] Speaker 1: the point where Shaq had cold. So for the most part,
[18:09] Speaker 1: Shaq getting those fouls. So if you try to touch cope,
[18:11] Speaker 1: you're going to get found LeBron James and D way
[18:14] Speaker 1: had each other, right? Um, Curry didn't have really nobody.
[18:20] Speaker 1: That's why they always complain about getting fouls, right? Luca AR,
[18:24] Speaker 1: they're going to circle them fouls. So when you're trying
[18:25] Speaker 1: to touch on LeBron James and rough him up, quick,
[18:28] Speaker 1: easy free throws, right?
[18:30] Speaker 3: The one thing you don't want to do.
[18:32] Speaker 1: As a star player, especially a guard or a finesse player,
[18:36] Speaker 1: you don't want to get hit without being rewarded. I
[18:38] Speaker 1: don't want you to Patrick Beverly me. Pick me full court,
[18:42] Speaker 1: hit me out of bounds and all that. I don't
[18:43] Speaker 1: want just those free hits on me all the time.
[18:45] Speaker 1: I want you to, you try something like that, I
[18:48] Speaker 1: can walk all the way down there, dummy, and get
[18:50] Speaker 1: my two free throws. So you need somebody on your
[18:52] Speaker 1: team that's taking those hits for you.
[18:55] Speaker 3: And they don't have anybody right now.
[18:56] Speaker 5: I think, you know, I think I'm agreeing with everything
[18:59] Speaker 5: you're saying, especially with, you know, creating fouls, getting to
[19:02] Speaker 5: the basket, attacking.
[19:03] Speaker 1: The rim, using athleticism.
[19:05] Speaker 5: But you keep the main guy, I could say, that
[19:09] Speaker 5: can be that guy, I think was played out of
[19:12] Speaker 5: position last year, which also could have resulted in him
[19:15] Speaker 5: not being able to attack.
[19:16] Speaker 4: That's what I was saying.
[19:17] Speaker 1: So Fred Van.
[19:18] Speaker 5: Fleet coming back and him now being that wing, that
[19:22] Speaker 5: natural wing in his natural position, I think it creates
[19:25] Speaker 5: a lot more opportunity for him to attack in the
[19:27] Speaker 5: open floor.
[19:27] Speaker 1: So that may be something that changes.
[19:29] Speaker 5: But even with that, I do think that a lot
[19:34] Speaker 5: of guys are going to have to change their style
[19:35] Speaker 5: of play, specifically the big fella. I wasn't a fan
[19:42] Speaker 5: of it, you know, him being in the middle of
[19:44] Speaker 5: the floor last year. I'm sure it changes now with,
[19:47] Speaker 5: you know, your lead guard back. But now I wonder,
[19:51] Speaker 5: you know, what's the plan as far as playing his
[19:54] Speaker 5: spots now on the floor? So I do think they
[19:58] Speaker 5: have some things to, you know, figure out and adjust on.
[20:00] Speaker 5: But I think their biggest issue overall was that point
[20:04] Speaker 5: guard spot. And, you know, Fred coming back, I think
[20:08] Speaker 5: it corrects all that. Everything else, I think, can get
[20:11] Speaker 5: figured out. It might be some unhappy guys in the
[20:14] Speaker 5: midst of it, but I think the Rockets overall will
[20:17] Speaker 5: be in a better place as a team.
[20:20] Speaker 3: I like the team.
[20:24] Speaker 1: It's just the style.
[20:27] Speaker 3: It's a lot of young guys playing like KD. It's like, KD, 38,
[20:33] Speaker 3: he can do that. And he's great at it. Jabari,
[20:37] Speaker 3: I don't want to see you go.
[20:38] Speaker 1: And they paved him, right?
[20:39] Speaker 2: Why y'all playing so old?
[20:42] Speaker 1: Just old, slow, sit in the corner, shoot threes. If
[20:46] Speaker 1: y'all don't get the fuck up the court, trying to
[20:48] Speaker 1: jump from the free throw line.
[20:50] Speaker 5: I think he got the ability to I think, you know,
[20:52] Speaker 5: him leveling up his game is, you know, figuring out
[20:55] Speaker 5: how to put the ball on the floor, get to
[20:57] Speaker 5: those one-two dribble pull-ups, even being able to finish at
[20:59] Speaker 5: the rim instead of, you know, always settling for that
[21:02] Speaker 5: long jump shot.
[21:03] Speaker 4: But Drew, the league put pressure on guys to show
[21:05] Speaker 4: that they could shoot, though, now. Like, everybody got to
[21:07] Speaker 4: show that they could shoot the ball. Like, all the
[21:12] Speaker 4: bigs is out there. Even somebody that went... They make
[21:15] Speaker 4: a three the whole November. I mean, December or something
[21:19] Speaker 4: like that.
[21:19] Speaker 3: March.
[21:19] Speaker 2: So, Tariq went, like, one for 25 in March. They
[21:21] Speaker 2: started the season shooting, like, 45% from three. Had a
[21:24] Speaker 2: brutal stretch there in March. I think finished the season
[21:26] Speaker 2: shooting 36%.
[21:27] Speaker 4: How much you got this year?
[21:29] Speaker 1: It was, like, five for 80 or somewhere on that.
[21:31] Speaker 1: Didn't he turn down a bigger deal, though?
[21:33] Speaker 4: Can somebody go?
[21:34] Speaker 3: Five for 80?
[21:35] Speaker 5: I thought he turned down a bigger deal earlier.
[21:37] Speaker 4: Miss every shot and still get 80.
[21:38] Speaker 1: Buy your $ 82 million fully guaranteed deal. Yeah. I mean,
[21:42] Speaker 1: that would have been a discount. If he would have
[21:46] Speaker 1: made him?
[21:46] Speaker 3: I mean, if he was on, like, if he didn't
[21:48] Speaker 3: go through that big-ass slump.
[21:50] Speaker 1: He was about to get 100. Yeah, of course.
[21:52] Speaker 3: I could have sworn he turned down an extension or
[21:55] Speaker 3: something like that.
[21:55] Speaker 2: I think he turned down a rookie scale extension worth
[21:57] Speaker 2: 100 million.
[21:59] Speaker 3: There we go. So he lost money. Yeah, he lost money.
[22:03] Speaker 1: Fuck. Yeah. But taller guys, I mean, taller guys, taller
[22:07] Speaker 1: guys are going to always get paid. Like, I can't
[22:11] Speaker 1: teach height. What position is he? I always wonder what
[22:14] Speaker 1: position he is.
[22:15] Speaker 4: How much does he average?
[22:16] Speaker 5: He kind of undersides 4-4.
[22:19] Speaker 3: I don't think he's as skilled.
[22:21] Speaker 1: As a 3. 6-8. 6-8?
[22:23] Speaker 4: That's what I like about this league. It ain't as
[22:26] Speaker 4: selfish as y'all was back in the day.
[22:28] Speaker 1: Average 11-6 last season. Good numbers.
[22:29] Speaker 4: Good numbers. The second string, like the role players getting
[22:34] Speaker 4: paid now.
[22:35] Speaker 1: They got paid? No, it was a cap.
[22:37] Speaker 4: It was like the star players get paid and then
[22:39] Speaker 4: the mid-level was like $ 20.
[22:41] Speaker 3: Or $ 50. $ 40, $ 42 was the mid-level.
[22:43] Speaker 1: No, no.
[22:45] Speaker 3: Yes, that's the mid-level. When I played, it was the mid-level.
[22:47] Speaker 4: Y'all was selfish.
[22:48] Speaker 3: No, it's the same money.
[22:50] Speaker 1: The difference is instead of $ 100 million.
[22:52] Speaker 4: Y'all sat there. We had a lockout for the stars
[22:55] Speaker 4: to get paid and the rest to get the crumbs.
[22:59] Speaker 3: Okay, Nick. So he signed to what?
[23:02] Speaker 1: Five-year, 82.
[23:03] Speaker 3: Five-year, 82.
[23:05] Speaker 1: What is the big boy, Max?
[23:08] Speaker 4: Four.
[23:09] Speaker 1: The big boy.
[23:11] Speaker 3: Who can sign the biggest deal?
[23:12] Speaker 4: He can sign 200.
[23:13] Speaker 3: Three what?
[23:14] Speaker 1: What is the big deal?
[23:15] Speaker 3: Three what?
[23:16] Speaker 1: For that rookie skill extension?
[23:17] Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no.
[23:18] Speaker 1: Just the big contract.
[23:19] Speaker 3: So you can see how far off.
[23:21] Speaker 1: Like 360, 370. I think he's being like the 250, 200.
[23:23] Speaker 1: But that means he's 300 million away from the star player.
[23:28] Speaker 1: If I'm signing 117... and that same player is in
[23:33] Speaker 1: the 40s? They're closer to me than they are to him?
[23:41] Speaker 3: What the fuck?
[23:43] Speaker 4: No.
[23:43] Speaker 3: Yes!
[23:44] Speaker 1: Ron Artesanum, that Ron Artesanum, that was, like if Max
[23:47] Speaker 1: Players was making like 18 to 22, like 10 to 12.
[23:49] Speaker 1: You made 117, and Deshaun was 15.
[23:59] Speaker 4: Deshaun Stevenson made $ 15 million. That's a big-ass jump.
[24:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's $ 80 million.
[24:04] Speaker 3: That's $ 80- something million now.
[24:06] Speaker 1: That's that deal.
[24:09] Speaker 3: It's still the same.
[24:10] Speaker 1: The money just went up. Just money?
[24:11] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that deal.
[24:13] Speaker 1: I think the next batch is... Like when Michael Jordan
[24:15] Speaker 1: was making a couple hundred thousand. What'd you think everybody
[24:18] Speaker 1: else was doing? Hey, man, here go your $ 3, 000 right here.
[24:22] Speaker 1: Go rebound, man.
[24:26] Speaker 4: Like, when he signed for 32 million.
[24:30] Speaker 1: What was Magic joint back in the day?
[24:32] Speaker 3: It was like 10 years, a million a year or something?
[24:35] Speaker 1: It was like 20 for 20 or something crazy like that.
[24:36] Speaker 3: Yeah. Like, what you think these people do?
[24:40] Speaker 1: Like, when Michael Jordan's making 32 million, what you think
[24:44] Speaker 1: everybody else is making? Yeah.
[24:46] Speaker 2: It's a 25-year, $ 25 million contract.
[24:49] Speaker 3: Who got that? One year.
[24:50] Speaker 1: That was a bad year. One year, but it was
[24:52] Speaker 1: one year.
[24:52] Speaker 3: Who got that? That's what they got.
[24:54] Speaker 1: No, he signed it, and then it was after the
[24:55] Speaker 1: first year he got rid of it. Yeah, 25-year, $ 25
[24:57] Speaker 1: million contract. That is nasty. That's crazy. That's nasty, bro.
[25:03] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[25:05] Speaker 4: Back then, you probably thought you was. That shit, 25?
[25:07] Speaker 1: What? What? To expect me to play 25 years is crazy. Dude,
[25:10] Speaker 1: that's the crazy part.
[25:14] Speaker 2: But, like, there was labor law and things like that,
[25:15] Speaker 2: so I don't think it could have been any longer
[25:17] Speaker 2: than seven years, but he just signed it for the
[25:19] Speaker 2: look of it, knowing that he could renegotiate it somewhere
[25:22] Speaker 2: down the road.
[25:23] Speaker 4: That's what happened.
[25:25] Speaker 1: Signed it and lost his mind. No, he signed that
[25:28] Speaker 1: one-year deal, then he redid it. I mean, I think
[25:30] Speaker 1: that was the initial. I mean, obviously. That was like
[25:32] Speaker 1: the same thing with Chris Webber. Chris Webber signed that what?
[25:36] Speaker 1: He signed that 100 for 10? Yeah, it wasn't a
[25:38] Speaker 1: rookie thing.
[25:39] Speaker 3: No, yeah, he.
[25:39] Speaker 1: Signed the rookie deal. It was like $ 100 million, then
[25:41] Speaker 1: it was just like one year, then he redid it.
[25:44] Speaker 1: Something like that, right?
[25:45] Speaker 3: 15-year, $ 75.
[25:45] Speaker 1: Million rookie contract.
[25:48] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[25:49] Speaker 1: With a one-year opt-out. With a one-year opt-out.
[25:52] Speaker 3: It was a one-year opt-out. 15 years, $ 75 million.
[25:56] Speaker 4: Imagine coming in and getting $ 100.
[25:58] Speaker 1: Nah, nah.
[25:59] Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's a.
[26:01] Speaker 1: Right? See, there you go.
[26:04] Speaker 4: He did that with a million.
[26:06] Speaker 3: It worked against somebody like Big Dog, though.
[26:07] Speaker 1: Imagine $ 100. Somebody like Big Dog, who comes in and
[26:09] Speaker 1: signs that big deal for nine, ten years.
[26:17] Speaker 3: That's his only deal. Yeah.
[26:19] Speaker 1: So if he signs the rookie deal, you know, you're
[26:22] Speaker 1: redoing it in.
[26:23] Speaker 3: The third year.
[26:23] Speaker 1: Damn. So he missed a lot of money doing that.
[26:26] Speaker 1: What did he sign for? 10-year 68. 10-year 68. Shut up.
[26:32] Speaker 3: Yeah, so it was his only deal.
[26:34] Speaker 1: Baseball shit.
[26:36] Speaker 2: I mean, obviously it changed the subject a little bit,
[26:38] Speaker 2: but when you think about what dudes was getting at
[26:39] Speaker 2: that point, obviously that's why the CB had to come in.
[26:42] Speaker 2: I think Big Dog's crew was initially asking for a 13-year,
[26:45] Speaker 2: $ 100 million deal, which for me, coming out of college.
[26:48] Speaker 1: That's bold. And they stupid now because if that was
[26:51] Speaker 1: in today, you know how much money they would save
[26:55] Speaker 1: if that was in today?
[26:56] Speaker 3: You could put people in 10-year, 12-year deals today. Think
[27:02] Speaker 3: about it.
[27:02] Speaker 1: Shea wouldn't be signing on new deal right now Brunson
[27:05] Speaker 1: to just be signing Wendy.
[27:08] Speaker 3: Got your six more years.
[27:09] Speaker 1: Seven more years when Lucas seven more years.
[27:12] Speaker 5: When you get stuck with a bad country Yeah, they
[27:15] Speaker 5: get hurt year two or Bobby, but you still got
[27:18] Speaker 5: so much You still got so much real estate though,
[27:20] Speaker 5: but look how much real estate you have on a
[27:22] Speaker 5: deal like that.
[27:23] Speaker 1: It won't be a hundred for ten years now, though
[27:26] Speaker 1: Broke-ass niggas come out of college. I give you whatever
[27:27] Speaker 1: you want. I No, they're getting money now. No, no,
[27:30] Speaker 1: in college, in college.
[27:31] Speaker 3: Yeah, they're getting money.
[27:32] Speaker 1: NIM. You should know.
[27:33] Speaker 3: Their parents are getting that.
[27:35] Speaker 1: Who me? We're living good. They don't even know what
[27:37] Speaker 1: money is. About to get Elijah in a 360. Man.
[27:41] Speaker 3: All right.
[27:42] Speaker 1: You're doing it behind your back. You haven't talked to him.
[27:45] Speaker 1: They tried. They tried. Don't worry.
[27:46] Speaker 4: Must come to us.
[27:47] Speaker 1: I've been in his ear.
[27:48] Speaker 3: They tried.
[27:49] Speaker 2: Must come my way. Side 14, we're on the same side.
[27:52] Speaker 2: But let's get back to this Rocket Squad. Obviously, they
[27:54] Speaker 2: had championship aspirations making that blockbuster deal for KD. Situations
[27:58] Speaker 2: went a little bit south last season. Looked to be revitalized.
[28:01] Speaker 2: Like you mentioned, FVV back, Steven Adams coming back, Marcus Smart, Bogdanovich.
[28:05] Speaker 2: So they bolstered that roster. But what is this Rockets
[28:08] Speaker 2: team missing when it comes to challenging the Spurs and
[28:11] Speaker 2: Thunder at the top of the West?
[28:16] Speaker 4: What are they missing?
[28:18] Speaker 5: I mean, I always thought it was just the younger
[28:21] Speaker 5: guys and their experience. I mean, you look at that
[28:24] Speaker 5: starting group, the only guy with, real experience was Kevin
[28:27] Speaker 5: Durant and you know he's obviously furthering his career so
[28:32] Speaker 5: uh in that moment you're looking for those young guys
[28:35] Speaker 5: to kind of step up and and meet that level
[28:38] Speaker 5: of play so with a year under their belt a
[28:41] Speaker 5: year of experience kind of seeing how to you know
[28:43] Speaker 5: playoffs works um you expect all those young guys to
[28:47] Speaker 5: come back better uh improve from the previous year um
[28:51] Speaker 5: hopefully they've adjusted their games to, you know, fit winning ways.
[28:55] Speaker 5: So I think it's more so the experience of the
[28:58] Speaker 5: younger guys and obviously missing their, their head, head guard
[29:03] Speaker 5: and forever in fleet. But I don't think they were
[29:06] Speaker 5: far off, you know, a couple of mistakes here and
[29:09] Speaker 5: there can, can ruin a series for you, but just
[29:12] Speaker 5: having the talent and being able to match up, I
[29:14] Speaker 5: don't think they're far.
[29:15] Speaker 1: Off at all. I mean, have some late game execution issues.
[29:18] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[29:18] Speaker 1: That's also not having a point. Yeah. So, but that's, Hopefully.
[29:23] Speaker 1: Because with that team, it was easy to double KD
[29:27] Speaker 1: and just say, you know what? We're going to let
[29:29] Speaker 1: them beat us. Let's see what y'all are going to do.
[29:31] Speaker 1: Y'all have been stuck on that three-point line this whole year.
[29:33] Speaker 1: Y'all not just going to start driving and shoot 30, 40,
[29:37] Speaker 1: 50 free throws. Y'all going to sit there and just
[29:39] Speaker 1: keep taking those shots. Experience. Sometimes experience is all they need.
[29:48] Speaker 1: A little bit of failure. A little bit of disappointment.
[29:52] Speaker 1: Coming back, you got Fred. You got a little bit
[29:54] Speaker 1: more pieces. A couple players got money. You got players
[30:00] Speaker 1: that are actually happy. The mind is clear. You're not
[30:03] Speaker 1: worrying about the future of them pockets.
[30:09] Speaker 3: When you look at the lineup, they could be one.
[30:12] Speaker 1: I agree.
[30:15] Speaker 3: They could be one in a way. That's what I'm saying.
[30:16] Speaker 3: If nobody got hurt, if nobody gets hurt this season,
[30:29] Speaker 3: You don't know.
[30:30] Speaker 1: Who the champion is. That's how stacked every team is
[30:33] Speaker 1: right now. You cannot predict a champion with everybody being healthy.
[30:39] Speaker 1: The only thing that separates teams is people going down. OKC,
[30:43] Speaker 1: somebody going down, like KD. People going down is what
[30:46] Speaker 1: changes everything. So right now, everyone is so stacked in
[30:50] Speaker 1: the West.
[30:52] Speaker 4: How many close games did they lose last year?
[30:55] Speaker 1: They were there every game. Yeah.
[30:57] Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. They got the talent. They got the.
[30:59] Speaker 4: Talent, man. And it was, I think it was their
[31:01] Speaker 4: first time dealing with, like, just being a superstar team,
[31:04] Speaker 4: having all that attention, too. Even with the KD news.
[31:09] Speaker 4: 19 and 20 in clutch games last season. What was it?
[31:12] Speaker 1: 19 and 20. 19 and 20? Damn.
[31:14] Speaker 4: See?
[31:15] Speaker 3: They had 39.
[31:16] Speaker 1: 39, yeah.
[31:17] Speaker 2: Obviously, with them five points in the final five minutes
[31:19] Speaker 2: of the game, obviously the definition of clutch by league metrics.
[31:22] Speaker 1: They went 10 of those. They first. That's what I'm saying.
[31:24] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[31:26] Speaker 1: They win five of those. You know what I'm saying?
[31:28] Speaker 1: The fact that they're losing that with KD is just
[31:30] Speaker 1: take the ball out of KD's hands, let y'all do it.
[31:32] Speaker 4: Exactly. Y'all ain't no clutch players.
[31:34] Speaker 5: I think they also, I think another thing that we're
[31:36] Speaker 5: missing out of this is, you know, the added leadership.
[31:39] Speaker 5: You bring in a guy like Marcus Smart, you know
[31:41] Speaker 5: what I'm saying? A guy that knows the coaching system,
[31:44] Speaker 5: kind of knows his ways. But like I said, he's battle-tested.
[31:48] Speaker 5: He's been the focal point of teams before, championship-inspiring teams.
[31:53] Speaker 5: So I think that was a really valuable addition to
[31:56] Speaker 5: this Rockets group. So, you know, KD has been on
[31:59] Speaker 5: record to say, you know, I'm not that.
[32:01] Speaker 3: Much of a vocal leader.
[32:02] Speaker 5: I like to lead through my actions, which I 100%
[32:05] Speaker 5: agree with. So you now have that more vocal leader
[32:09] Speaker 5: in the Marcus Smart that can, you know, gather the
[32:12] Speaker 5: troops when things get a little out of control and,
[32:14] Speaker 5: you know, get people back in the right headspace.
[32:17] Speaker 3: So Marcus Smart was a great addition for that.
[32:20] Speaker 4: That's crazy.
[32:21] Speaker 1: They bust their ass, then you pick them up.
[32:25] Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm 50-50 with Marcus.
[32:27] Speaker 1: Okay.
[32:28] Speaker 3: Because, you know, I'm a Laker, so, you know, I'm
[32:31] Speaker 3: a Laker.
[32:32] Speaker 1: Very big in that playoff series win against the Rockies. Yeah,
[32:34] Speaker 1: and I was cheering for him.
[32:36] Speaker 3: I was cheering for him in that series.
[32:38] Speaker 1: And then I was booing him in the next one. So,
[32:40] Speaker 1: just like me, the stars, the star.
[32:42] Speaker 3: Players, I see no flaw.
[32:46] Speaker 1: I see no flaw. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,
[32:49] Speaker 1: the lower I get, the worse it is for you.
[32:52] Speaker 3: Right?
[32:53] Speaker 4: So, you know what I mean? Black and Mild, though.
[32:55] Speaker 4: He keep getting our Lakers, man.
[32:57] Speaker 3: That's not his name.
[32:58] Speaker 1: Dorian Finney? Black and Mild is when he was a Laker.
[33:01] Speaker 1: Who was Black and Mild? Dorian Finney? Yeah, he looked
[33:03] Speaker 1: like he smoked Black and Mild.
[33:04] Speaker 3: I called him that, too.
[33:05] Speaker 4: Yeah, he looked like he smoked Black and Mild.
[33:06] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I'm like, Dorian Finney? Yeah. I thought
[33:09] Speaker 3: I was the one gave him the nickname.
[33:11] Speaker 1: That's crazy. Yeah, he looked like he smoked Black and Mild.
[33:15] Speaker 1: The truth has become best friends.
[33:17] Speaker 2: Did y'all just become best friends? That was his name
[33:21] Speaker 2: here on the couch. He helped him.
[33:23] Speaker 3: I was calling him Black and Mile in Dallas.
[33:27] Speaker 1: He'll bring on that intensity. He's going to make them
[33:31] Speaker 1: play better defense because he's going to pick up full court.
[33:34] Speaker 1: He was even there.
[33:35] Speaker 4: I don't think they used him right.
[33:36] Speaker 3: Who?
[33:37] Speaker 4: Black and Mile. There's too many... The same guys like him,
[33:42] Speaker 4: like same height.
[33:42] Speaker 1: There's more athletes.
[33:46] Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying.
[33:47] Speaker 1: So many of the same guys.
[33:49] Speaker 4: It's hard to.
[33:50] Speaker 5: He was unhealthy all year though, right? I forgot he
[33:53] Speaker 5: was there. I mean, he was healthy for sure. He's
[33:56] Speaker 5: on the Hornets now.
[33:57] Speaker 1: But that's... But that's a team also that should be
[34:02] Speaker 1: playing some type of....
[34:06] Speaker 3: Triangle type of system.
[34:08] Speaker 1: Who is that? Split game. The Houston Rockets. Split game, backdoor.
[34:13] Speaker 1: Because everybody's going to try to switch you, come together,
[34:16] Speaker 1: somebody go backdoor, somebody pop, right?
[34:18] Speaker 3: You know, post.
[34:21] Speaker 1: Like, okay, the guard went with you, right? Let's go
[34:22] Speaker 1: post you, right? You know, playing that old Sacramento before
[34:25] Speaker 1: you got there. Right? High, low, post, throw it, switch, cut,
[34:30] Speaker 1: like hard to guard. Shout out to Adam. Then you
[34:33] Speaker 1: can't play small ball anymore. You start doing split game
[34:38] Speaker 1: action where you got KD and Smith Jr. coming together.
[34:44] Speaker 3: One diving, one popping. You pop it, throw it back down.
[34:47] Speaker 1: Now you got a small guard sitting on my 6'11
[34:50] Speaker 1: guy right under the basket. You'll cut all that small
[34:53] Speaker 1: ball bullshit out. Because every team is designed for small
[34:56] Speaker 1: ball now. So if you're designed for small ball, that
[35:00] Speaker 1: means if we did go big, you can't do nothing.
[35:03] Speaker 1: You got a six-fold guy sitting on my 6'11, power four.
[35:07] Speaker 1: Because you think you're about to run and gun. It's like, no,
[35:09] Speaker 1: we're going to cut all that shit out.
[35:10] Speaker 4: The Lakers did it.
[35:11] Speaker 1: What? That's when they won. When they went big? Yeah.
[35:15] Speaker 1: Every team, most teams that won championships, they were actually
[35:19] Speaker 1: big teams. Their four and five is actually big. Yeah.
[35:25] Speaker 3: Besides– That's 22 Warriors. That was small. That 22 Warriors thing?
[35:31] Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, Draymond. Yeah, that was small. Who was
[35:34] Speaker 3: the three over there?
[35:35] Speaker 1: Rockets have a big roster.
[35:36] Speaker 3: Wiggins. Wiggins.
[35:38] Speaker 1: So you got Wiggins, Center was– Draymond.
[35:41] Speaker 3: No. Looney.
[35:42] Speaker 1: Looney. No, you still going to have some size. Looney
[35:46] Speaker 1: like 6'8, 6'9.
[35:49] Speaker 5: I mean, I'm just saying like they're– I would say
[35:51] Speaker 5: they were the smallest in recent years.
[35:53] Speaker 1: They've been the smallest one. All because of Draymond plays
[35:56] Speaker 1: a lot bigger than he.
[35:59] Speaker 3: No.
[36:00] Speaker 4: That's that game.
[36:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that trickery they be having. All right, well,
[36:04] Speaker 1: let's talk a little bit about KD.
[36:06] Speaker 2: Turns 38 next week since winning back-to-back finals MVPs with
[36:10] Speaker 2: the Warriors and having his 2019 finals run marred by injury,
[36:13] Speaker 2: including a torn Achilles. Teams have an advance past the
[36:16] Speaker 2: second round. Missed the postseason with the Suns in 2025.
[36:20] Speaker 2: Rockets got bounced in the first round last season. Like
[36:22] Speaker 2: we mentioned, he only played in two of those six
[36:24] Speaker 2: games in that series. So Rockets just extended a man Thompson.
[36:29] Speaker 2: Obviously got Shane Goon with a big deal. Jabari Smith
[36:31] Speaker 2: got his extension. Tari Easton got his extension.
[36:34] Speaker 3: I don't like the way this is starting to phrase out.
[36:38] Speaker 1: No, just say what you're about to say. I'm asking you.
[36:41] Speaker 3: Asking what?
[36:42] Speaker 2: Does KD finish the season with the Rockets? KD got
[36:44] Speaker 2: a player option this summer.
[36:45] Speaker 4: I was thinking that. I was thinking Mike Atreides.
[36:47] Speaker 1: Got a player option this summer.
[36:49] Speaker 3: What?
[36:50] Speaker 1: Trader to who?
[36:52] Speaker 4: When you mean traded, like, depends on how January looks.
[36:57] Speaker 2: I'm saying how much pressure is on this team for
[36:59] Speaker 2: the first half of the season to give the franchise
[37:02] Speaker 2: optimism that they can make a deep playoff run.
[37:05] Speaker 1: So you just signed back two players. And then you're
[37:11] Speaker 1: saying how this season starts off with the trade Kevin Durant?
[37:15] Speaker 1: It's a new NBA. I'm just asking you.
[37:16] Speaker 2: I love KD. Had a player option this summer. So
[37:21] Speaker 2: could opt out, essentially leave you with nothing.
[37:23] Speaker 4: But KD might want to be traded if it ain't
[37:25] Speaker 4: looking right, though.
[37:26] Speaker 3: So where?
[37:28] Speaker 4: Timberwolves.
[37:31] Speaker 3: Timberwolves?
[37:32] Speaker 4: I'm a Timberwolves fan.
[37:34] Speaker 1: I rock with the Timberwolves, too. I'm just asking you.
[37:36] Speaker 1: I'm not trying to start nothing. Obviously, Kevin, very active
[37:40] Speaker 1: on social media.
[37:43] Speaker 3: What I'm saying is, like, how do we.
[37:45] Speaker 1: They won how many games last year?
[37:46] Speaker 3: 52.
[37:47] Speaker 1: And lost first round for... They only won one game,
[37:50] Speaker 1: I think. No, I know what they did. So they
[37:53] Speaker 1: won 52 games. So they won 52 games, and they're
[37:58] Speaker 1: expected to be better. But we talking about possible trading?
[38:04] Speaker 1: I know there's a bunch of people on the team
[38:06] Speaker 1: I would trade way before I trade KD.
[38:07] Speaker 3: KD had 26, 6, and 5 last season.
[38:10] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not trading the A student.
[38:11] Speaker 4: But KD might want to be traded. It ain't what
[38:14] Speaker 4: they want. It's what he wants.
[38:15] Speaker 3: Not in the middle of the season. Yeah.
[38:18] Speaker 1: Did have that issue with Bernagate, too, alleged. And what
[38:21] Speaker 1: happened with it? It did. Got bounced in the first round.
[38:24] Speaker 4: They didn't know how to handle all that. They was
[38:27] Speaker 4: in the news.
[38:29] Speaker 1: I'm not trading my A student. Katie's still 50-49. I'm
[38:33] Speaker 1: not trading my A student. And there's one thing that's
[38:35] Speaker 1: been going on since Katie entered this league. On his
[38:40] Speaker 1: progress report, his progress report, A's. But KD going to
[38:46] Speaker 1: do what KD want to do. He's an A student.
[38:49] Speaker 1: But he going to do what KD want to do. No,
[38:51] Speaker 1: I get that.
[38:51] Speaker 4: It ain't what the team want. It's what he want.
[38:53] Speaker 1: But he's not going to leave. I don't think KD
[38:55] Speaker 1: going to leave. No, he's not going to want to leave.
[38:56] Speaker 1: I don't think he going to want to leave. Not mid-season.
[38:58] Speaker 4: I don't think KD see them winning. That's why he leave.
[39:01] Speaker 3: Then he would have left this summer.
[39:03] Speaker 4: He can't do it. He just got there last summer.
[39:08] Speaker 1: I think KD's more of a guy that'll leave in
[39:09] Speaker 1: the summer.
[39:10] Speaker 4: I think he did it.
[39:10] Speaker 1: I think he did it.
[39:12] Speaker 3: You don't want to leave in the summer. You don't
[39:13] Speaker 3: want to leave in the summer.
[39:14] Speaker 5: The worst situation we've seen him in is Phoenix, and
[39:16] Speaker 5: he didn't want to leave midseason.
[39:18] Speaker 1: We lost first round because we're injured. We're not losing
[39:20] Speaker 1: first round because they're beating us. Like, we was injured.
[39:24] Speaker 1: My point guard is gone. I'm missing some games. We're injured.
[39:29] Speaker 1: And I say this.
[39:30] Speaker 3: Gonna happen.
[39:30] Speaker 1: I'm just pointing out that he has a better.
[39:32] Speaker 5: Overall year anyway, though Yes, yeah, I don't think that's
[39:35] Speaker 5: even on the table like if you win 52 games
[39:37] Speaker 5: with your lead guard out like I'm going into the
[39:41] Speaker 5: year excited.
[39:41] Speaker 1: All right, we got a chance to.
[39:43] Speaker 4: The group you do like young guys have gotten better
[39:45] Speaker 4: now and.
[39:49] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[39:50] Speaker 5: To sit there and have a trade in the back
[39:52] Speaker 5: of your mind with all that positivity leading into the season,
[39:56] Speaker 5: that just don't make sense to me.
[39:58] Speaker 4: If you see LeBron, if you see LeBron, what he's
[40:01] Speaker 4: doing over there.
[40:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, where you going to go? And I'm KD, and
[40:04] Speaker 1: like they... Man, man, middle of.
[40:06] Speaker 3: The season trades.
[40:08] Speaker 1: are horrible for megastars. It's horrible for everybody involved. Unless
[40:13] Speaker 1: you trade some, unless, like, only Detroit got better when
[40:16] Speaker 1: they made a trade. It was, like, the perfect piece
[40:19] Speaker 1: that put that whole team, like, when people, when Rasheed
[40:22] Speaker 1: Wallace went over there, that means Ben went to the fore.
[40:26] Speaker 1: Not playing the center where he was getting, where he
[40:29] Speaker 1: was outweighed by like Shaquille O'Neal and all of them.
[40:32] Speaker 1: It put Rasheed Wallace at the five with Ben Wallace
[40:36] Speaker 1: floating the whole game, which was then dangerous. And that
[40:39] Speaker 1: team defensively became a juggernaut. Right? That's the type of trade.
[40:45] Speaker 1: Trading a superstar. Unless the team is just complete idiots
[40:50] Speaker 1: and say, all right, give me your play because we're friends.
[40:53] Speaker 3: Give me KD and I'm.
[40:53] Speaker 1: Not going to give you really anything back, which that's
[40:56] Speaker 1: going to have a red flag anyway. Other than that,
[40:58] Speaker 1: when you go there and get back, that ain't no
[41:00] Speaker 1: championship team.
[41:02] Speaker 3: Right?
[41:03] Speaker 1: So wherever he goes, he ain't going to win no
[41:04] Speaker 1: championship if you get traded.
[41:06] Speaker 3: In the middle of the season. Middle of the season.
[41:08] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[41:08] Speaker 1: Your team getting depleted. Has that actually happened in history?
[41:12] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[41:13] Speaker 1: When's the last time middle of the season a superstar
[41:15] Speaker 1: got traded?
[41:16] Speaker 3: Lakers?
[41:16] Speaker 1: Lakers. Who?
[41:18] Speaker 4: Paul Gasol.
[41:20] Speaker 3: That was in the summer.
[41:21] Speaker 1: It wasn't.
[41:23] Speaker 3: It was 07.
[41:24] Speaker 1: That was 07. And they won at you? Yeah, you
[41:27] Speaker 1: didn't win at you.
[41:28] Speaker 4: No, it wasn't in the summer. It wasn't in the summer.
[41:31] Speaker 1: Paul Gasol, he was there two years before they won.
[41:35] Speaker 4: They went.
[41:37] Speaker 1: They lost to Boston, then they won. He was traded
[41:40] Speaker 1: in February.
[41:41] Speaker 4: Yeah, I was about to say.
[41:42] Speaker 2: February 2008. Yeah, I was about to say. And they
[41:44] Speaker 2: made the finals run.
[41:45] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[41:45] Speaker 1: They made the finals run.
[41:46] Speaker 4: And they lost to Boston.
[41:47] Speaker 3: Okay, so they didn't win.
[41:49] Speaker 4: But they, where was they at before that?
[41:51] Speaker 1: They didn't win.
[41:52] Speaker 4: Where was they at before that?
[41:53] Speaker 1: What did we say?
[41:54] Speaker 3: They made it.
[41:55] Speaker 1: You said it's not possible.
[41:56] Speaker 3: For them to win it.
[41:57] Speaker 4: You went to the finals.
[41:59] Speaker 1: But did they win it?
[42:00] Speaker 4: You ran into somebody else that made a trade. KG.
[42:03] Speaker 3: Okay, that's the question is, did they win it? No.
[42:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, they did. The year after.
[42:09] Speaker 3: So if he got traded this year, what I'm saying,
[42:13] Speaker 3: he won't win.
[42:14] Speaker 1: And then he.
[42:16] Speaker 3: Has to go to next year. Next year's a whole
[42:18] Speaker 3: different topic.
[42:18] Speaker 5: I mean, what kind of a situation would it take
[42:20] Speaker 5: for KD to move midseason and it results in a win?
[42:24] Speaker 5: Because whatever team is taking on this contract, they losing
[42:27] Speaker 5: a lot to get them. Only way it's not is
[42:31] Speaker 5: if it's a young team with.
[42:32] Speaker 1: A bunch of assets.
[42:33] Speaker 4: One year left. We got one year left.
[42:35] Speaker 3: Just like I said, unless it's a friendly deal.
[42:39] Speaker 1: Pau Gasol going to the... Think about it. Pau Gasol
[42:43] Speaker 1: going to the Lakers. What did the Lakers have to
[42:46] Speaker 1: give up to get Pau Gasol?
[42:49] Speaker 3: Who made that deal?
[42:50] Speaker 1: Who was on the other side of the Grizzlies that
[42:52] Speaker 1: was connected?
[42:55] Speaker 3: For Pau Gasol. So who was on the Grizzlies that
[42:58] Speaker 3: had ties to the Lakers?
[42:59] Speaker 1: Somebody had to be there.
[43:00] Speaker 3: Gerald? Who? Was that Jerry West? I don't know.
[43:05] Speaker 1: Let me double check.
[43:06] Speaker 3: Was that the logo? Mm. Caron Butler. That wasn't that deal.
[43:12] Speaker 4: When he went to Dallas for the Wizards.
[43:17] Speaker 5: He won in 2007. I think CB got hurt. Jerry West,
[43:20] Speaker 5: I think he was.
[43:21] Speaker 1: Going for it. He did get hurt. He was hurt
[43:22] Speaker 1: in the finals, but what?
[43:26] Speaker 3: They won the year they got traded?
[43:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, he beat Miami.
[43:32] Speaker 3: I say superstars, man. That's what I'm saying.
[43:37] Speaker 1: They brought in Coran, Heywood, and Deshaun to fill up
[43:42] Speaker 1: their roster.
[43:43] Speaker 3: They didn't have to give any of the stars up.
[43:46] Speaker 4: Yes, they did.
[43:47] Speaker 1: They gave away Howard. Juwan Howard?
[43:51] Speaker 3: No, not Juwan.
[43:52] Speaker 1: Josh Howard.
[43:53] Speaker 4: Josh Howard.
[43:54] Speaker 1: He was an all-star. We got some breaking news for you, gentlemen.
[43:59] Speaker 1: Just coming down from Shams. Man, man, fuck you. Jalen Darn.
[44:04] Speaker 4: How about that?
[44:05] Speaker 1: Kawhi Leonard agreed to a two-year extension with the Raptors
[44:08] Speaker 1: for $ 115 million.
[44:11] Speaker 4: Kawhi Leonard.
[44:12] Speaker 3: 115 million. Amen.
[44:14] Speaker 1: Bruh.
[44:14] Speaker 4: Bruh.
[44:14] Speaker 1: Bruh.
[44:15] Speaker 4: Amen.
[44:15] Speaker 1: Man. Man.
[44:15] Speaker 3: I can't even.
[44:16] Speaker 1: What he doing? That boy's cold, man.
[44:19] Speaker 3: He turned like 700.
[44:20] Speaker 1: Grand into like $ 250 million.
[44:22] Speaker 3: Shout out to Kawhi.
[44:24] Speaker 4: Almost three years, what? Two years what?
[44:38] Speaker 3: Two years, $ 115 million.
[44:39] Speaker 4: $ 115?
[44:39] Speaker 1: $ 100.
[44:39] Speaker 4: Also signed a $ 100 million deal with OVU.
[44:43] Speaker 1: I thought you said two years. Two years, $ 15.
[44:45] Speaker 4: Shit, I said that's great too.
[44:46] Speaker 1: $ 100.
[44:46] Speaker 4: $ 100.
[44:46] Speaker 3: $ 115 million. I don't know.
[44:54] Speaker 4: His grandma was playing.
[44:55] Speaker 1: Hey, man, listen. Hey, man.
[44:57] Speaker 3: Somebody put a trophy somewhere.
[44:59] Speaker 1: Kawhi in the running for greatest finesse in NBA history. No.
[45:02] Speaker 1: He already won. I can't even say finesse. He ain't finesse.
[45:07] Speaker 1: But the financial finesse.
[45:08] Speaker 3: I can't even say that. I can't even say that.
[45:11] Speaker 3: I can't even say.
[45:12] Speaker 2: But you had a franchise that risked their entire life
[45:15] Speaker 2: to give him.
[45:16] Speaker 1: They owe him that, though. I can't even say finesse, man,
[45:19] Speaker 1: because it's– Not.
[45:21] Speaker 2: In a negative way. I'm just saying he's going to
[45:23] Speaker 2: get it back. Clippers lost five first round draft picks.
[45:27] Speaker 2: Kawhi just made $ 115 million.
[45:28] Speaker 4: Kawhi was in China all happy. Got the Afro out.
[45:31] Speaker 3: No wonder. $ 115.
[45:32] Speaker 1: He's a first.
[45:35] Speaker 4: He's a first. Man.
[45:40] Speaker 1: What's the new balance? So that Raptors doing now three years,
[45:43] Speaker 1: $ 165 million total. Straight off the couch. It's fashion week.
[45:46] Speaker 2: Kawhi in this move had a lot of other options.
[45:48] Speaker 2: I think Pistons, Timberwolves were mentioned. Wanted to go back
[45:51] Speaker 2: to the Raptors where he has major love, potentially in
[45:54] Speaker 2: his career there.
[45:54] Speaker 4: I feel like when you get money like that.
[45:58] Speaker 3: Half of his career and still is a first ballot
[46:00] Speaker 3: Hall of Famer.
[46:01] Speaker 1: That boy tough. For what? Two finals, two championships. First team.
[46:08] Speaker 3: Wow.
[46:08] Speaker 4: All-stars. Why not?
[46:12] Speaker 3: Had a crazy year last year.
[46:13] Speaker 1: What, 28 a game? Yeah, he must have. Contract year.
[46:19] Speaker 4: On the robot Jordan when he won after the Toronto one?
[46:22] Speaker 3: Yeah, two years.
[46:26] Speaker 2: Single-handedly destroyed the Clippers and got $ 150 billion. He didn't
[46:29] Speaker 2: do that. People in the front office.
[46:31] Speaker 3: Yeah. No, he did that.
[46:33] Speaker 1: He did that.
[46:34] Speaker 3: All they had to say was no. It's Kawhi Leonard. Yeah.
[46:38] Speaker 3: All they had to say was no, like they ain't
[46:40] Speaker 3: never told us no before.
[46:41] Speaker 1: They told Paul George no. Who did? The Clippers, that's
[46:46] Speaker 1: why he went to Philly. Exactly, they told him no.
[46:49] Speaker 4: They said, hey, hell no, I ain't giving you $ 200.
[46:52] Speaker 4: Take your ass home and get a cheesecake or something.
[46:55] Speaker 3: Yeah. All right, I'm gone.
[46:57] Speaker 1: I'm gone. Philly known for their cheese?
[47:00] Speaker 5: That narrative that he destroyed the Clippers, the Clippers destroyed
[47:02] Speaker 5: the Clippers.
[47:04] Speaker 3: Clippers did Clippers.
[47:06] Speaker 1: Lawrence Frank destroyed the Clippers. We're going to talk about
[47:08] Speaker 1: the Clippers later in the show, but their thirst.
[47:11] Speaker 4: Clippers won Clippers.
[47:11] Speaker 1: Tried to compete with the Lakers. Wow. Ultimately led to
[47:15] Speaker 1: their downfall. 115.
[47:16] Speaker 2: That was all this time since the Donald Sterling year.
[47:20] Speaker 2: Jerry bust some bread to buy the Lakers.
[47:22] Speaker 4: That's when you know, like, You're doing good in life.
[47:24] Speaker 4: He's doing something good in life.
[47:26] Speaker 1: I'm not living right. I'm not living right. You talk
[47:30] Speaker 1: too much, you got to shut the fuck up. I'm
[47:31] Speaker 1: not living right.
[47:32] Speaker 3: He knows somebody, man.
[47:33] Speaker 1: He's just quiet. He kissing the baby, shaking the hands.
[47:36] Speaker 1: I'm going to be on the couch like, hey, hey.
[47:38] Speaker 1: He's doing whatever. Hey, hey.
[47:40] Speaker 4: I'm going to start, hey, every time on the couch.
[47:43] Speaker 1: Nah, that ain't it, man. That man is shaking the
[47:46] Speaker 1: right hands. Like talking to the right people.
[47:49] Speaker 3: What it do, baby?
[47:51] Speaker 4: I'm like, every lingo you got, I'm stealing.
[47:55] Speaker 3: He knows the owners personally.
[47:58] Speaker 1: He's shaking up.
[48:00] Speaker 3: How you doing? Hey, yeah, yeah.
[48:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, he fucking with you regular folks.
[48:06] Speaker 3: Hey, have y'all known?
[48:09] Speaker 1: I don't want to tell on the man, but it
[48:10] Speaker 1: really don't matter now because he done made 500 million cents.
[48:13] Speaker 1: When he won that championship, have you noticed he's the
[48:15] Speaker 1: only one that smoked a blunt and nobody said nothing?
[48:18] Speaker 1: He was celebrating.
[48:18] Speaker 3: I said, yeah, I'm going.
[48:21] Speaker 1: What'd it do, baby? Yeah, yeah.
[48:25] Speaker 3: No, he didn't.
[48:26] Speaker 1: No, he didn't. He was rolling. When he said it,
[48:28] Speaker 1: he was rolling up. What'd it do, baby? I didn't
[48:32] Speaker 1: see that. There's only a few people that when they
[48:36] Speaker 1: do something, we looked the other way.
[48:40] Speaker 3: Him, Curry.
[48:42] Speaker 1: If Curry was on the golf right now smoking a blunt,
[48:44] Speaker 1: we were all literally just.
[48:47] Speaker 1: What about that T over there? What about that T
[48:50] Speaker 1: over there? Nobody looking at it. We ain't looking at it.
[48:53] Speaker 4: He made it through Pop, too. He disrespected the Spurs, too.
[48:57] Speaker 1: He was the only one? Yeah, he told the Spurs,
[48:59] Speaker 1: fuck you. And everybody was like, Pop did something wrong. Man,
[49:05] Speaker 1: fuck Pop.
[49:06] Speaker 3: What the Spurs doing over there? What the Spurs doing
[49:08] Speaker 3: over there?
[49:08] Speaker 1: Man, I ain't never seen that. Yeah.
[49:15] Speaker 3: For real.
[49:16] Speaker 4: He's top five all time.
[49:17] Speaker 3: Man.
[49:20] Speaker 5: He top five all time. Fuck a basket. Fuck a rebound.
[49:25] Speaker 5: He top five just off the string. Riverside.
[49:30] Speaker 4: You know what they say with the people in IE.
[49:32] Speaker 4: Think about it. And this is his 14th year right now?
[49:35] Speaker 3: 15th.
[49:38] Speaker 1: I mean, that's congratulations for real. He's going to help
[49:42] Speaker 1: those young guys out there, man. Oh, yeah.
[49:45] Speaker 4: Pay me $ 115, 000. How many pieces are they.
[49:47] Speaker 1: Really away from being?
[49:49] Speaker 3: They're a Kyrie away.
[49:52] Speaker 1: In guard.
[49:52] Speaker 3: They're a Kyrie away.
[49:55] Speaker 4: Pay me $ 115, 000.
[49:56] Speaker 3: I think they're top five in the East right now, though.
[49:58] Speaker 2: Fifth in the East last season. Yeah, they're still top five.
[50:02] Speaker 2: You move Brandon Ingram, Grady did a couple firsts.
[50:04] Speaker 1: If you would have kept BG, I'd be like, you
[50:07] Speaker 1: know what? Having two half-court guys? It wasn't going to work.
[50:12] Speaker 1: I know they're in the same little space.
[50:14] Speaker 2: You can only have one of those. They ain't going
[50:17] Speaker 2: to work. Now you got Kawhi Scottie Barnes. They got
[50:19] Speaker 2: a good team. You guys weren't as high on them
[50:21] Speaker 2: as I expected last week. They got a good team.
[50:24] Speaker 5: I still think they got some things to figure out
[50:26] Speaker 5: as far as the shooting around him.
[50:27] Speaker 4: They got to get rid of Dick.
[50:30] Speaker 1: He's already gone.
[50:31] Speaker 4: He's a clipper.
[50:32] Speaker 3: He's a clipper.
[50:34] Speaker 1: I just wanted to say dick. One less dick in Toronto.
[50:37] Speaker 1: One more in LA.
[50:39] Speaker 2: Swag, you've been on a run lately with the controversial language.
[50:45] Speaker 2: Still have people hitting me up about your Aaron Donald,
[50:49] Speaker 2: Miles Garrett discourse.
[50:50] Speaker 1: I'm just letting you know. Might be the Ray J
[50:52] Speaker 1: of DC. Why would you say BG, Britton Ingram? B.G.,
[51:01] Speaker 1: I'm thinking B.I. You did call her B.I. Him, B.G., yeah.
[51:04] Speaker 1: You know, I don't really correct you.
[51:06] Speaker 3: B.I.
[51:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, it wouldn't have worked with them, too, though, in
[51:10] Speaker 2: my opinion. But now two years, $ 115 million will likely
[51:13] Speaker 2: end his career as a Toronto Raptor.
[51:15] Speaker 4: I don't think so.
[51:16] Speaker 3: I don't think so. I don't think so.
[51:17] Speaker 1: He's going to hit him again. Just stop telling me.
[51:20] Speaker 3: He's going to do it one more time.
[51:22] Speaker 1: You got to let it run.
[51:24] Speaker 3: Might get a five-year extension after this, man.
[51:26] Speaker 4: Man, Max.
[51:28] Speaker 1: Got to let it ride. Oh, that's awesome.
[51:30] Speaker 3: That's awesome.
[51:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, why they don't do that, man?
[51:33] Speaker 4: Y'all making billions of dollars and y'all seeing ex-NBA players
[51:38] Speaker 4: on the street, don't even throw them a hundred. That's crazy, bro.
[51:43] Speaker 1: Huh? The NBA is not a family like I thought.
[51:46] Speaker 4: He got a billion dollars.
[51:47] Speaker 3: He's supposed to give you the bread?
[51:48] Speaker 4: Supposed to help us or make something to help people.
[51:51] Speaker 1: Yeah. You don't think so?
[51:54] Speaker 4: It's people out there really struggling.
[51:55] Speaker 3: Did you do that?
[51:57] Speaker 4: Who did you help? I helped this one chick. She
[52:02] Speaker 4: was struggling.
[52:03] Speaker 1: I said, you're going to do something strange. I'll give
[52:06] Speaker 1: you a little change.
[52:08] Speaker 2: Blackie has supported local communities for a long time.
[52:15] Speaker 1: Now she's doing good. You know what's funny? When we
[52:21] Speaker 1: get drafted, we all have the dreams of giving back
[52:24] Speaker 1: to the community. But it's like, wait, wait, wait. Let
[52:29] Speaker 1: me get all the shit that when I was a
[52:31] Speaker 1: little child, I wanted. I got to get my Ferrari.
[52:34] Speaker 3: I got the Lamborghini.
[52:36] Speaker 1: By the time I get in the situation to take
[52:39] Speaker 1: care of the community, I'm back broke.
[52:41] Speaker 3: I'm back broke. I done fucked all that off. I
[52:45] Speaker 3: would just be honest with you.
[52:47] Speaker 1: I would just be honest with you, fam. I done
[52:50] Speaker 1: spent all that. Why it ain't a pot, though?
[52:52] Speaker 4: Like, everybody, like, own a building or something. Like, you know,
[52:55] Speaker 4: billions of dollars.
[52:56] Speaker 1: Own a building.
[52:57] Speaker 3: One.
[52:57] Speaker 1: One. There's a couple of them, though. There's a couple
[52:59] Speaker 1: of y'all.
[53:00] Speaker 3: One, just to be honest, we don't know y'all.
[53:03] Speaker 1: You don't have to know me.
[53:04] Speaker 3: I do have to know you.
[53:05] Speaker 4: But you know, if I go back broke, that's fucked up.
[53:08] Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying is.
[53:10] Speaker 4: You know the feeling. Nobody want to go back broke.
[53:12] Speaker 4: You know the feeling of being rich. Imagine if it's gone.
[53:16] Speaker 4: You don't want me to look like that.
[53:18] Speaker 1: I barely know my teammates like that. Why am I
[53:22] Speaker 1: going to do business with any of y'all? Like, how
[53:25] Speaker 1: many times has somebody called you on the phone and
[53:27] Speaker 1: they text you, hey, man, I got this thing. If
[53:29] Speaker 1: you don't shut the fuck up.
[53:30] Speaker 4: You're supposed to be like a fraternity.
[53:32] Speaker 1: See, that's why they're scared to hit you.
[53:34] Speaker 3: You know, I'm an NBA player.
[53:35] Speaker 1: That's why people scared. Like, man, I'm a joke, man.
[53:37] Speaker 1: I know.
[53:37] Speaker 4: But if I hit Gil, this thing going to crash.
[53:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, yep.
[53:41] Speaker 3: You could have asked me for the ball, let alone
[53:44] Speaker 3: some dollars. Watch out.
[53:46] Speaker 1: How many times I heard that?
[53:47] Speaker 3: Watch out.
[53:48] Speaker 4: Hey, let me hold something, man.
[53:49] Speaker 1: Fuck you, Nick.
[53:50] Speaker 3: I'm going to pay you back. All right. All right.
[53:56] Speaker 1: Nigga, leave me on read. Hey, Nick, man.
[53:58] Speaker 4: All right. Yeah, leave me on read.
[54:00] Speaker 3: All right.
[54:01] Speaker 1: Let's get this funding and put it together. I know
[54:03] Speaker 1: a scammer when I see one. Well, I'm a scammer.
[54:07] Speaker 1: I'm just trying to be 49ers. They just got in
[54:10] Speaker 1: trouble for the thing. The health care.
[54:13] Speaker 3: He just scammed 115.
[54:14] Speaker 1: You can't get 15 of them back. No, no, listen,
[54:17] Speaker 1: they scammed they self.
[54:19] Speaker 4: You can't get 15 of them back.
[54:20] Speaker 1: What I'm saying is, look, listen, the health care is
[54:23] Speaker 1: your money later on in life.
[54:26] Speaker 3: They took it from themselves.
[54:28] Speaker 4: They did.
[54:28] Speaker 3: You think? They did.
[54:29] Speaker 1: They did.
[54:33] Speaker 5: Think about everybody who called you saying, man, we can
[54:37] Speaker 5: do this.
[54:38] Speaker 1: They was getting percentage on your shit.
[54:42] Speaker 5: They was calling around?
[54:45] Speaker 1: He got hit up. They hit him up. Volunteers and shit.
[54:50] Speaker 3: We are a live show calling all the dummies.
[54:54] Speaker 1: I didn't go to jail.
[54:56] Speaker 4: I ain't that dumb. Shit.
[55:01] Speaker 3: If you use yours seriously, it was used for real.
[55:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, it was used for real. The butt implants. Yeah, man.
[55:10] Speaker 2: Can we get back to basketball? Thank you guys for this.
[55:16] Speaker 4: You never gave me a shot before the show. Don't
[55:18] Speaker 4: give me nothing.
[55:19] Speaker 1: I'm just saying.
[55:20] Speaker 3: It was used for real.
[55:21] Speaker 1: She did get that booty. And I needed it. To
[55:30] Speaker 1: bring it all back, salute to Kawhi. Two-year, $ 150 million
[55:35] Speaker 1: extension with the Raptors.
[55:36] Speaker 4: Allegedly, allegedly.
[55:36] Speaker 2: Has three years now on his deal. Could end up
[55:40] Speaker 2: retiring a member of the Toronto Raptors. City has major
[55:42] Speaker 2: love for him. Kawhi fled the country.
[55:47] Speaker 3: You know what? No, no.
[55:48] Speaker 1: The low key to the Toronto Raptors, he's technically like
[55:53] Speaker 1: a god to them. Because he came in half hurt.
[55:56] Speaker 3: Half hurt.
[55:58] Speaker 1: One leg, got him a chip, dipped.
[56:00] Speaker 4: And the way he got it, though, game winner against Philly,
[56:03] Speaker 4: bounced him.
[56:03] Speaker 3: Like, dipped, like, it's like a.
[56:05] Speaker 1: I don't mean to.
[56:06] Speaker 3: We got hurt.
[56:08] Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, he whooped your ass.
[56:11] Speaker 1: We got hurt, we got hurt. He probably don't know this,
[56:13] Speaker 1: but we know this. This is like everybody was hurt.
[56:15] Speaker 4: No, no, I seen it. Me all seen y'all getting
[56:17] Speaker 4: your ass whooped. I was happy I said, yes, this
[56:21] Speaker 4: nigga took my job, took my spot.
[56:24] Speaker 3: Please, Lou.
[56:26] Speaker 4: The.
[56:31] Speaker 3: Like, he left on a high. Like, that's the high high.
[56:35] Speaker 1: And he got to come back.
[56:36] Speaker 3: I remember that fall. Yeah.
[56:39] Speaker 1: They don't have no negativity towards him. Well, they kicked
[56:41] Speaker 1: me to the car. But, hey, you brought us a chip.
[56:45] Speaker 3: You brought us that.
[56:46] Speaker 1: We only know the greatness of you.
[56:47] Speaker 3: We don't know. All that clipper hurting and all that happened,
[56:50] Speaker 3: that's on their watch.
[56:52] Speaker 1: But brought us a chip, dipped back to L.A. to
[56:54] Speaker 1: come home. Hey.
[56:56] Speaker 5: If he go to Toronto and he's now like 100%
[56:58] Speaker 5: healthy moving forward, that would be crazy.
[57:02] Speaker 1: On top of getting the bread.
[57:04] Speaker 3: What? All-star, all-NBA.
[57:06] Speaker 2: I actually hope it happens that way. I hope it
[57:09] Speaker 2: happens that way. All right, well, let's shift back over
[57:11] Speaker 2: to the Western Conference. After the best season of his
[57:14] Speaker 2: young career, which saw him average career highs of 24
[57:18] Speaker 2: points and six assists on 46, 37, 89 splits. The
[57:22] Speaker 2: Jazz and Keontae George agreed on a five-year, $ 158 million
[57:25] Speaker 2: rookie extension. Since getting drafted 16th overall in the 2023 draft,
[57:30] Speaker 2: George has increased his scoring and assists in each of
[57:32] Speaker 2: his first three seasons, joins Darren Williams as the only
[57:34] Speaker 2: players in Jazz history with 3,000 career points and 1,000
[57:38] Speaker 2: assists in their first three seasons. Now he looks to
[57:41] Speaker 2: form one of the most promising young backcourts in the
[57:43] Speaker 2: league with this year's second overall pick, Darren Peterson. So Boogie,
[57:47] Speaker 2: we'll start with you. Let's start with the Conte George element. First,
[57:50] Speaker 2: what's your reaction to Conte George signing a five-year extension
[57:53] Speaker 2: with the Jazz?
[57:54] Speaker 5: The Jazz got him on the steel. This kid and
[57:57] Speaker 5: his talent, he's a full max type of player. So,
[58:01] Speaker 5: you know, shout out to the Jazz for being able
[58:03] Speaker 5: to get that deal done with a talent like that.
[58:06] Speaker 1: I'm a huge fan.
[58:09] Speaker 5: I previously spoke about, you know, one of the best
[58:11] Speaker 5: frontcourts being a LaMelo and Ant Edwards duo, which I
[58:15] Speaker 5: still stand on, but two, three years from now, these
[58:19] Speaker 5: two guys together, I think, without a doubt, be one
[58:23] Speaker 5: of the most dangerous in this league. I like the
[58:26] Speaker 5: direction that the Jazz are going. I like that they
[58:29] Speaker 5: were able to lock in their young talent. One of
[58:32] Speaker 5: the best things you can do is make your talent comfortable.
[58:35] Speaker 5: That's what they've done with that starting five. I've said
[58:38] Speaker 5: it before, I'll say it again, I think the Jazz
[58:41] Speaker 5: are a sleeper in the West. Probably not a championship
[58:44] Speaker 5: team this year or the next, but They can definitely
[58:47] Speaker 5: disrupt some team seasons this year. So I like everything
[58:51] Speaker 5: that they're doing. I think Keontae George will only continue
[58:54] Speaker 5: to get better. And like I said, next two, three years,
[58:58] Speaker 5: I think he'll be a household name. That'll be a
[59:01] Speaker 5: name that rings bells once it's mentioned. His talent is
[59:04] Speaker 5: that real. So I'm excited to see him continue to grow.
[59:08] Speaker 1: Name bigger than the market, Daddy? plays in?
[59:11] Speaker 3: It'll definitely be that. Yeah, I'll grow the market.
[59:14] Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure.
[59:15] Speaker 2: So let's shift over to you, Swaggy. Look at Keontae George.
[59:18] Speaker 2: Three seasons in the league. 24-6 last season.
[59:21] Speaker 1: Five-year, $ 158 million deal.
[59:22] Speaker 3: 24-6? I like that.
[59:22] Speaker 1: I'm glad that Utah is finally.
[59:30] Speaker 4: About to play basketball. You know, there ain't nothing going on.
[59:33] Speaker 4: No tanking. They finally got to play real basketball. You
[59:37] Speaker 4: get to see them keep them guys in the whole game.
[59:42] Speaker 4: They got their guy now. And they got another guy
[59:45] Speaker 4: that they gave time to. They've been starring George. They
[59:49] Speaker 4: let him miss shots. I like the team that believe
[59:52] Speaker 4: in a player that give him his up. Through the ups, downs.
[59:55] Speaker 4: You know, some years, some games, he was off nights.
[59:58] Speaker 4: You still roll with him.
[1:00:00] Speaker 1: And that's dope, man. I'm proud.
[1:00:03] Speaker 4: And you said, seems like Utah got 153 and Houston,
[1:00:08] Speaker 4: but Detroit not. That's how you make a guy feel comfortable.
[1:00:12] Speaker 1: Exactly.
[1:00:13] Speaker 4: That's how you make somebody believe in me. Everybody getting paid.
[1:00:17] Speaker 4: Now I can go out there, be free, have fun,
[1:00:20] Speaker 4: and really play basketball without worrying about missing if I
[1:00:24] Speaker 4: miss this money gone.
[1:00:26] Speaker 3: I got the money.
[1:00:27] Speaker 1: Now I'm going to go out there and ball out.
[1:00:31] Speaker 1: And it's Utah. You're telling me Utah got more money
[1:00:33] Speaker 1: than Detroit?
[1:00:35] Speaker 3: I like Utah. Utah's got a great fan base.
[1:00:38] Speaker 1: Too, man. The Mormons got more money? The Mormons?
[1:00:41] Speaker 3: They got a little pot out there.
[1:00:42] Speaker 1: They got a little pot. I mean, yeah, they did.
[1:00:45] Speaker 5: We ain't welcome to it, but they got a pot.
[1:00:46] Speaker 3: They paid AJ to get over there two times. Yeah.
[1:00:49] Speaker 1: In high school and in college. Allegedly, Q. AJ, the
[1:00:53] Speaker 1: best friend of the show. Jim have been rich forever.
[1:00:58] Speaker 1: Shout out to Jim. NIL. Never been rich forever.
[1:01:02] Speaker 3: It was NIL before it was NIL.
[1:01:06] Speaker 1: But still though, man.
[1:01:08] Speaker 3: Come on, man.
[1:01:09] Speaker 1: Come on what?
[1:01:12] Speaker 3: 150.
[1:01:12] Speaker 4: Huh?
[1:01:12] Speaker 3: 150. 158.
[1:01:13] Speaker 4: Still.
[1:01:13] Speaker 3: That's a still.
[1:01:14] Speaker 1: A still. It is right now, but.
[1:01:16] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[1:01:17] Speaker 5: This is still right now and definitely moving forward.
[1:01:21] Speaker 4: Yeah, but still. It's just like he didn't have to
[1:01:25] Speaker 4: worry about nothing. Like you've just paid this man like.
[1:01:28] Speaker 4: We want you. He wasn't in no waiting around. He
[1:01:32] Speaker 4: ain't going to feel good.
[1:01:33] Speaker 1: No, he just probably looked at the 158 and said,
[1:01:35] Speaker 1: I'm going to take it. Thank you.
[1:01:37] Speaker 5: He can't put up the same type of argument that
[1:01:39] Speaker 5: a Jalen Dern can put up. Jalen Dern, they were
[1:01:41] Speaker 5: number one in the East. He's coming off an all-star year.
[1:01:44] Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying.
[1:01:46] Speaker 3: I want two. I want Max.
[1:01:47] Speaker 5: But the problem is he underperformed in the playoffs. So
[1:01:52] Speaker 5: that's where it gets a little shaky for him. I
[1:01:54] Speaker 5: can see both sides.
[1:01:55] Speaker 1: But that's why I threw in your talk. I'm in Houston, though.
[1:01:58] Speaker 1: You used to play eight minutes, 200. The playoff, the playoff,
[1:02:02] Speaker 1: the bad playoff performance was just the excuse. Oh, 100%.
[1:02:07] Speaker 1: But you want the max as my second option guy.
[1:02:13] Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
[1:02:15] Speaker 1: That's just not how this works.
[1:02:18] Speaker 3: Max is for.
[1:02:19] Speaker 1: Him, K, who's doing everything. That's who the Max is for.
[1:02:23] Speaker 4: For sure.
[1:02:24] Speaker 3: Right? So you're fighting.
[1:02:26] Speaker 1: And this is the number you want. Yeah, we're going
[1:02:28] Speaker 1: to fight you back because he's going to want to
[1:02:30] Speaker 1: come up again, and he has to get the Max again,
[1:02:33] Speaker 1: the Max Max. We can't hold our money with you
[1:02:36] Speaker 1: making the Max. I mean, come on. Like, you have
[1:02:40] Speaker 1: to be realistic as a player. I think he got
[1:02:44] Speaker 1: the leverage, though, at this point. No, as of right now,
[1:02:47] Speaker 1: he lost leverage. He got the Kings on it.
[1:02:50] Speaker 5: He got the Kings in his back pocket, and I
[1:02:52] Speaker 5: just read, well, Milwaukee's now in his back pocket.
[1:02:54] Speaker 1: Yeah, but they can't, like, they can pay, like, right now,
[1:02:58] Speaker 1: if he left and signed there. He can't leave right now. No,
[1:03:01] Speaker 1: I mean, next year.
[1:03:04] Speaker 3: Right. He can't sign a match with them.
[1:03:07] Speaker 1: He loses a lot of money. But Detroit loses them
[1:03:10] Speaker 1: for nothing. Yeah. And that's the problem. But they did
[1:03:14] Speaker 1: the math, basically.
[1:03:15] Speaker 2: He signs that four-year deal next season, and he still
[1:03:17] Speaker 2: ends up making less money than he would if he
[1:03:19] Speaker 2: didn't take the five-year deal.
[1:03:20] Speaker 4: But I feel more appreciated, too.
[1:03:24] Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. We got feelings, though.
[1:03:30] Speaker 1: You can go there, right? You can go there all
[1:03:32] Speaker 1: you want. Go to Sacramento, go there, and sign. I
[1:03:35] Speaker 1: know you're not going to be happy. Why not?
[1:03:37] Speaker 3: Good.
[1:03:38] Speaker 1: Seven Chili's in Sacramento. No, what I'm saying is I
[1:03:40] Speaker 1: know you're not going to be happy because the money
[1:03:42] Speaker 1: that I'm giving you right now, if you're actually not
[1:03:44] Speaker 1: satisfied with this, you go somewhere else.
[1:03:47] Speaker 3: For less money.
[1:03:48] Speaker 1: On top of not being satisfied.
[1:03:50] Speaker 3: I'm sorry. That's just not how it works.
[1:03:54] Speaker 5: I think the happiness for him right now is all
[1:03:57] Speaker 5: about this contract.
[1:03:58] Speaker 1: I think that's where he's focused. I think he feels
[1:04:00] Speaker 1: like He's owed this. He's earned this.
[1:04:03] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:04:03] Speaker 5: And he wants to feel appreciated for the team that
[1:04:05] Speaker 5: he helped take from the bottom of the East to
[1:04:07] Speaker 5: the top of the East.
[1:04:09] Speaker 3: I think that's more so the principle that.
[1:04:11] Speaker 4: He's standing on. And he's not asking for the max.
[1:04:13] Speaker 5: Now, if I end up somewhere else, I'll settle whatever
[1:04:15] Speaker 5: number we get. At least y'all showing that y'all value me.
[1:04:20] Speaker 5: I'm arguing with my home team as far as do
[1:04:25] Speaker 5: y'all appreciate me or not. Dealing with a fan base
[1:04:27] Speaker 5: that literally just said, we never think you're the second
[1:04:29] Speaker 5: best or most valuable player on this team. You should
[1:04:31] Speaker 5: take this discount for how you performed in the playoffs.
[1:04:34] Speaker 5: Now I go to Sacramento, they're just going to be
[1:04:35] Speaker 5: happy to have you. Happy that you wanted us. But
[1:04:39] Speaker 5: you might end up becoming a bad contract.
[1:04:41] Speaker 3: Yeah. You know what I'm saying? But that's what it is.
[1:04:44] Speaker 1: You're going to be a bad contract if you get
[1:04:46] Speaker 1: paid the max. Right? You're talking about a guy who averaged,
[1:04:49] Speaker 1: you know, 19.
[1:04:51] Speaker 5: Sacramento don't make sense anyway because it would have to
[1:04:54] Speaker 5: be a sign and trade type of situation, right?
[1:04:56] Speaker 3: Yes.
[1:04:57] Speaker 5: And then they would get some bonus back. Bonus next
[1:04:59] Speaker 5: to Cade don't make sense.
[1:05:00] Speaker 2: If he's a free agent, you got … Miles Turner.
[1:05:02] Speaker 3: Miles Turner.
[1:05:04] Speaker 1: Next to Cade. You probably got to move Sabonis.
[1:05:06] Speaker 5: Miles Turner. Throw Kuz in there or something like that.
[1:05:09] Speaker 5: That's a different. Kuz from Detroit. They'll have about 50.
[1:05:13] Speaker 2: They'll have 50, 60 million dollars in cap space those
[1:05:15] Speaker 2: next summer. Even if they don't get rid of Sabonis.
[1:05:17] Speaker 2: But you still want to move them obviously. Yeah, I'm
[1:05:19] Speaker 2: just saying.
[1:05:20] Speaker 1: 19-6. First time All-Star. First time All-NBA. First time All-NBA.
[1:05:25] Speaker 3: First time All-Star asking for the match.
[1:05:26] Speaker 1: I mean, it's.
[1:05:27] Speaker 3: You hit the right, you know, accolades.
[1:05:30] Speaker 1: But to hit these accolades to ask for the max,
[1:05:33] Speaker 1: I mean, you're really, you're really, you're really listening to
[1:05:39] Speaker 1: your agent too much. Because right now, right, they said
[1:05:43] Speaker 1: they offered him $ 200, 000.
[1:05:45] Speaker 3: They offered him $ 200.
[1:05:46] Speaker 1: $ 190. No, $ 200 is on the table now. $ 200 is
[1:05:48] Speaker 1: on the table. He came out and said $ 200.
[1:05:50] Speaker 5: He tripped it.
[1:05:50] Speaker 1: He tripped it. He turned it up. And he said no.
[1:05:53] Speaker 1: He tripped it.
[1:05:54] Speaker 4: He said he wanted $ 200.
[1:05:55] Speaker 3: Now, my thing is this.
[1:05:57] Speaker 5: He also said he's taking his time now.
[1:05:58] Speaker 4: Okay.
[1:05:59] Speaker 3: I think training cameras would. Now, now, now.
[1:06:02] Speaker 1: A week or two away.
[1:06:04] Speaker 3: What happened?
[1:06:05] Speaker 1: What does he do? If tomorrow or tonight they say,
[1:06:09] Speaker 1: you know what? We will start negotiations back in the summer.
[1:06:13] Speaker 3: They can't do that. What if they do it?
[1:06:15] Speaker 5: Because if he takes the qualifying offer, now you're dealing
[1:06:20] Speaker 5: with a guy that's in your star lineup that is
[1:06:23] Speaker 5: now in his feelings. Huge part of your foundation.
[1:06:27] Speaker 4: For sure.
[1:06:27] Speaker 5: Now you're dealing with the emotional part, him trying to
[1:06:30] Speaker 5: win games. Him being on a different page from everybody else.
[1:06:34] Speaker 1: Yes. Probably looking at Kade crazy. You ain't have my back. Yes.
[1:06:37] Speaker 3: He got paid, I didn't.
[1:06:39] Speaker 1: Twin got paid, I didn't. Yes. That's just a whole
[1:06:42] Speaker 1: other dynamic. Now, that mentality right there, what do you
[1:06:47] Speaker 1: think his values are going to be going into next summer?
[1:06:49] Speaker 3: Yeah, horrible.
[1:06:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, he done fucked his whole shit up. Horrible. why
[1:06:52] Speaker 1: would you even risk that?
[1:06:54] Speaker 3: Who's talking to you?
[1:06:55] Speaker 1: I'm agreeing.
[1:06:55] Speaker 3: I think you should take $ 200.
[1:06:57] Speaker 1: Or does it work the other way?
[1:06:58] Speaker 4: I thought it was $ 190 and he wanted $ 200.
[1:07:00] Speaker 1: I don't want to tell him. Once he got it
[1:07:01] Speaker 1: up to $ 200, he should have said it. I can't
[1:07:03] Speaker 1: tell a man what your value is. I can tell you,
[1:07:06] Speaker 1: I've watched a lot of people get screwed. to the
[1:07:09] Speaker 1: point where mentally they never recovered in life.
[1:07:12] Speaker 3: Right.
[1:07:13] Speaker 1: Not in the NBA life. You go into this summer,
[1:07:17] Speaker 1: I mean, you go into the season, I can tell
[1:07:18] Speaker 1: you this, like I told, what's the name of Sacramento,
[1:07:23] Speaker 1: this is what will happen. If Cade go down or
[1:07:26] Speaker 1: we start.
[1:07:26] Speaker 3: Off bad, the first person, the first person whose shit's.
[1:07:31] Speaker 1: About to be fucked up will be yours.
[1:07:33] Speaker 3: Absolutely.
[1:07:34] Speaker 1: I'm going to go and play with your time. That's
[1:07:37] Speaker 1: going to pay with your money. That money going to
[1:07:39] Speaker 1: pay with your mind. I already lost you then, so
[1:07:43] Speaker 1: if I lost you, we all going to get fucked up.
[1:07:48] Speaker 1: Because I know one thing, I might lose you for nothing,
[1:07:51] Speaker 1: but I didn't spend a dollar. And people don't understand that.
[1:07:56] Speaker 1: The money is not yours until I give it to you. Exactly.
[1:08:01] Speaker 3: Make me feel good about it.
[1:08:02] Speaker 1: That's the thing that people don't realize.
[1:08:05] Speaker 3: Make me feel good. Lie to me. You know how
[1:08:08] Speaker 3: the strippers lie to us? I'm going to go home
[1:08:10] Speaker 3: with you later.
[1:08:11] Speaker 1: They talk to us real good. Right, they talk to
[1:08:16] Speaker 1: us real good, don't they? 2.30, 2 a.m.
[1:08:18] Speaker 3: I don't know if they rubbing in your face.
[1:08:21] Speaker 1: You know, if you giggling.
[1:08:24] Speaker 3: Take my credit card.
[1:08:25] Speaker 1: Make me feel good.
[1:08:26] Speaker 3: About writing it.
[1:08:28] Speaker 1: I'm like, hey, man, I got $ 200 for you. You
[1:08:29] Speaker 1: be like, nah, I don't want that.
[1:08:35] Speaker 3: All right, give me my check.
[1:08:37] Speaker 4: There's another one over here.
[1:08:38] Speaker 1: Black ass, you're a black mother.
[1:08:39] Speaker 4: I want to talk to your ass.
[1:08:41] Speaker 1: What?
[1:08:43] Speaker 3: Bring me over. Give me the other boy that want
[1:08:44] Speaker 3: to talk nice to me.
[1:08:47] Speaker 1: You really have to make sure you net your money, man.
[1:08:53] Speaker 1: The man that's writing a check, unless you're talking to
[1:08:55] Speaker 1: him directly, y'all got to understand you don't want the
[1:09:00] Speaker 1: middle man talking to the man with the check.
[1:09:03] Speaker 3: Because at the end.
[1:09:04] Speaker 1: Of the day, you heard his feelings, he's going to
[1:09:07] Speaker 1: make sure when he relays the message, it sounded like
[1:09:09] Speaker 1: he's on some bullshit. Yes. Right, and 200 is 200.
[1:09:12] Speaker 3: 250, if you looking for 250, that's far.
[1:09:17] Speaker 1: He should take the 200. That's far. Hey, take it
[1:09:19] Speaker 1: in some waves. Let me get you on the head.
[1:09:22] Speaker 1: You owe me 50. You know, can you put it
[1:09:24] Speaker 1: in incentives? And when I say incentives, make it, you know,
[1:09:28] Speaker 1: 10 rebounds. I think they did that as well.
[1:09:30] Speaker 5: They added incentives to it. He still turned it down.
[1:09:34] Speaker 1: Five? Give me five weeks?
[1:09:35] Speaker 2: They're adding a weight clause to it as well, but
[1:09:37] Speaker 2: that's just what. A weight clause? That's what they're reporting.
[1:09:39] Speaker 2: How much you weigh? Yeah, like same thing they hit
[1:09:41] Speaker 2: Zion with, but. Now they fucking with you.
[1:09:44] Speaker 3: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
[1:09:45] Speaker 1: Dude, like 2% body fat. I know. Now you fucking
[1:09:46] Speaker 1: with me, man. But that ain't shit.
[1:09:48] Speaker 3: We don't want you to get the bread and start
[1:09:50] Speaker 3: going to Little Caesars.
[1:09:50] Speaker 1: These 2% body fat, that ain't got nothing to do
[1:09:52] Speaker 1: with him.
[1:09:53] Speaker 5: And they ain't heard of, though. I remember when AD
[1:09:55] Speaker 5: signed his first extension. They hit him with the same.
[1:09:58] Speaker 5: He was getting hurt early. We talking about Anthony Davis,
[1:10:01] Speaker 5: number one pick.
[1:10:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
[1:10:04] Speaker 5: Every year we start a season, he's named MVP candidate.
[1:10:08] Speaker 5: He signed his first deal. There's a lot of incentives
[1:10:10] Speaker 5: in it.
[1:10:10] Speaker 4: So, it happens.
[1:10:11] Speaker 3: Wait game?
[1:10:13] Speaker 5: It wasn't wait game, but it was certain criteria he
[1:10:15] Speaker 5: had to meet to get his full contract.
[1:10:18] Speaker 1: So, it's not unheard of. Like, I put it like,
[1:10:20] Speaker 1: you average.
[1:10:21] Speaker 3: Like, I'm going to look at it like this.
[1:10:22] Speaker 1: Like, I'm going to be frilling you.
[1:10:23] Speaker 3: Like, I'm going to be like, you average what, 19?
[1:10:25] Speaker 3: You average 19.
[1:10:27] Speaker 1: $ 5 million bonus. You have his 10 rebounds, $ 5 million.
[1:10:32] Speaker 1: I'm going to try to give it to you. It
[1:10:34] Speaker 1: just ain't on paper right now. You got to earn it.
[1:10:36] Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
[1:10:37] Speaker 1: Like, I'm going to, you know, we get to the first,
[1:10:40] Speaker 1: we get in the first round, get an extra $ 5 million. Like,
[1:10:42] Speaker 1: I can give it to you in other ways that's
[1:10:44] Speaker 1: not guaranteed on the sheet. Right.
[1:10:47] Speaker 2: So, but now bringing it back to Keontae George, you
[1:10:50] Speaker 2: talk about taking that five-year 158. Average of 24 and six,
[1:10:53] Speaker 2: I would think he's worth a lot more. Obviously, he
[1:10:55] Speaker 2: sees the bigger picture. That team was tanking the past
[1:10:57] Speaker 2: few seasons. He's got an opportunity to lock up 158.
[1:11:00] Speaker 2: Probably should have got 30, 40 more, at least in
[1:11:02] Speaker 2: my opinion.
[1:11:03] Speaker 4: What's AR?
[1:11:05] Speaker 1: But you guys respect him for just getting that show
[1:11:06] Speaker 1: done and not even playing. What does AR get?
[1:11:11] Speaker 3: 170?
[1:11:11] Speaker 1: 180, I believe.
[1:11:11] Speaker 4: 180. I was about to say, he's up there with AR.
[1:11:13] Speaker 1: That's a smart move on his part because he benefited
[1:11:17] Speaker 1: from what they was trying to do. AR got 180?
[1:11:19] Speaker 5: That's what I was saying, isn't it? I mean, I
[1:11:26] Speaker 5: know it's two different positions. It's two different responsibilities, but
[1:11:29] Speaker 5: that's great.
[1:11:30] Speaker 1: Like 158?
[1:11:32] Speaker 4: But to Dern's situation, ain't he like a top?
[1:11:34] Speaker 1: We're talking about Keontae right now.
[1:11:36] Speaker 4: Top six? We're talking about him.
[1:11:37] Speaker 1: Big in the league, though? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Top six?
[1:11:40] Speaker 2: Austin Reeves averaged 23 and six. 23, six, and five
[1:11:43] Speaker 2: last season.
[1:11:44] Speaker 3: His pocket is not his pocket.
[1:11:46] Speaker 1: Get out of each other's pockets.
[1:11:50] Speaker 2: Get up out of each other's pockets.
[1:11:56] Speaker 1: The kid ain't a dummy. You know what made it smart?
[1:12:00] Speaker 1: Y'all want the number one or two pick, correct? So
[1:12:05] Speaker 1: you got a tank. Somebody got to sit. Okay.
[1:12:10] Speaker 3: Who's that going to be? Him, him, and him? So
[1:12:13] Speaker 3: that means I get to play. I get to do
[1:12:14] Speaker 3: whatever I want.
[1:12:15] Speaker 4: Cool!
[1:12:16] Speaker 1: So that means I get to go out there because
[1:12:18] Speaker 1: they tanking. I get to go out there and average
[1:12:20] Speaker 1: 24 and do whatever I want. Now they got to
[1:12:23] Speaker 1: pay me for that. Hey, we want to pay you 158. Cool!
[1:12:29] Speaker 1: Because I know it can go the other way too.
[1:12:34] Speaker 1: It can go the other way.
[1:12:35] Speaker 3: We're watching it.
[1:12:36] Speaker 1: We're watching men average 24 a game. They offered Cam
[1:12:41] Speaker 1: how much?
[1:12:43] Speaker 3: Jeff Durant. Let's listen to this real quick. From our
[1:12:46] Speaker 3: Cam Thomas?
[1:12:47] Speaker 1: Yes.
[1:12:48] Speaker 3: They did.
[1:12:48] Speaker 1: Them's so dirty.
[1:12:49] Speaker 4: Them's dirty.
[1:12:50] Speaker 3: I'm trying to tell you. They offered him a deal, though,
[1:12:52] Speaker 3: and he turned it down. I'm trying to tell you.
[1:12:54] Speaker 2: I think it was $ 80. So he rejected a two
[1:12:56] Speaker 2: for $ 30. I'm going to see what the... Two for $ 30.
[1:12:58] Speaker 1: $ 15 million a year. They offered him more than one.
[1:13:01] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:13:02] Speaker 1: Yeah. I could have sworn one was like $ 80. Yeah,
[1:13:04] Speaker 1: it was.
[1:13:04] Speaker 4: I think so.
[1:13:05] Speaker 1: He wanted that 100 bean.
[1:13:07] Speaker 3: That's what the Gideon, all those guys were on.
[1:13:09] Speaker 1: They were trying to get that $ 100. I said the
[1:13:12] Speaker 1: first one, they was asking for way more than that.
[1:13:14] Speaker 1: I said the first one assigned $ 100. In this market
[1:13:17] Speaker 1: right now, y'all are just one of those markets that
[1:13:20] Speaker 1: just everybody got low ball. The first one of y'all
[1:13:23] Speaker 1: signed a 100, you good. The other one's going to
[1:13:26] Speaker 1: get screwed. Kaminga got screwed.
[1:13:28] Speaker 3: Cam Thomas got screwed.
[1:13:30] Speaker 2: Offer him a two for 30 or a one for 10, basically.
[1:13:32] Speaker 2: Turn down both of those.
[1:13:33] Speaker 4: That's it.
[1:13:34] Speaker 1: Two year for 30.
[1:13:35] Speaker 5: It wasn't an 80 deal or nothing? Let's see. Like
[1:13:39] Speaker 5: the season before or something like that? It was like
[1:13:41] Speaker 5: an id season or something.
[1:13:44] Speaker 1: But look, you're turning down the person's offer, betting on
[1:13:49] Speaker 1: yourself with no other people wanting you. That same dude
[1:13:56] Speaker 1: is out of the league. Now that's crazy.
[1:14:00] Speaker 3: If he goes, he's going to make a bag.
[1:14:03] Speaker 1: It just makes no sense on who's talking to you people.
[1:14:07] Speaker 1: This is a fraternity. That means the.
[1:14:11] Speaker 3: Owners, for the most part, know each other. Oh, 100%.
[1:14:15] Speaker 1: So, I mean, in reality, I'm not saying they all
[1:14:18] Speaker 1: do it. I'm not saying they all do it.
[1:14:20] Speaker 3: Oh, they all do.
[1:14:21] Speaker 1: You turn down my 200.
[1:14:22] Speaker 4: They going to talk trash.
[1:14:24] Speaker 3: You turn down my 200, and I find out that
[1:14:25] Speaker 3: the Kings is over here talking. He did. Whoever I
[1:14:29] Speaker 3: know someone knows that man.
[1:14:30] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
[1:14:31] Speaker 1: Hey, man, you tell dude stand down.
[1:14:34] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:14:34] Speaker 1: We're setting an example. He don't touch my player. He
[1:14:37] Speaker 1: don't offer that motherfucker shit.
[1:14:39] Speaker 4: He don't say all kinds of stuff about him. He
[1:14:41] Speaker 4: did this. He did this.
[1:14:42] Speaker 1: I don't need to say shit. I just tell him, hey,
[1:14:44] Speaker 1: you better not sign him, or you're going to have
[1:14:46] Speaker 1: problems with us. Click.
[1:14:49] Speaker 3: We're billionaires.
[1:14:49] Speaker 1: That means our money is touching somewhere. Your ass is
[1:14:53] Speaker 1: going to be off the board. Our money is touching somewhere.
[1:14:56] Speaker 3: I walked in the room.
[1:14:58] Speaker 1: I walked in the room and said, hey, he will
[1:15:00] Speaker 1: not be an owner while I'm still alive. Play with me.
[1:15:04] Speaker 3: Click.
[1:15:07] Speaker 4: They didn't say you was a snitch.
[1:15:08] Speaker 1: And he wasn't an owner until the man passed. I
[1:15:12] Speaker 1: can tell you that. I'm just telling you the real.
[1:15:16] Speaker 1: You can sit here and think that money is yours.
[1:15:18] Speaker 3: That money is yours when you get it. Other than that,
[1:15:22] Speaker 3: other than that, that's another man's pocket.
[1:15:25] Speaker 1: And if you ain't making that man feel good enough
[1:15:27] Speaker 1: to give it to you, think about what they could do. Like,
[1:15:32] Speaker 1: this is Gil's arena. Gil's been wearing a wire for
[1:15:34] Speaker 1: the last three years.
[1:15:35] Speaker 5: How long is before training camp starts?
[1:15:37] Speaker 3: But he is 22.
[1:15:38] Speaker 2: Next week for most teams. So the Rockets and Mavs
[1:15:41] Speaker 2: open this week. But you were already here.
[1:15:43] Speaker 3: It's almost time. Darren's only 22. He's young. That's what
[1:15:44] Speaker 3: he has on his side.
[1:15:45] Speaker 1: He has you. If he was in any other team,
[1:15:50] Speaker 1: if he was in L.A., if he was.
[1:15:52] Speaker 3: In New York. But even being 22 ain't going to
[1:15:54] Speaker 3: change much. He would have got that money.
[1:15:56] Speaker 4: For sure.
[1:15:57] Speaker 1: He's just in a city that just can't afford to
[1:15:59] Speaker 1: pay two dudes back. They don't care if you're 22.
[1:16:00] Speaker 3: They're ruined.
[1:16:01] Speaker 1: No, what I'm saying is they can't afford to pay
[1:16:02] Speaker 1: him like two max players.
[1:16:04] Speaker 3: They can't afford it.
[1:16:05] Speaker 2: It's a different time now. CBA second half and that bread, frankly,
[1:16:08] Speaker 2: just not there no more. He don't want to put
[1:16:10] Speaker 2: himself in like an Aiton type situation. But you got
[1:16:13] Speaker 2: to take the five for 200. Especially if you look
[1:16:15] Speaker 2: at somebody like Keontae taking that five for 158.
[1:16:18] Speaker 1: Go downhill. But you look at... It's just looking at pot.
[1:16:21] Speaker 1: You look at the All-Star. He didn't make the All-Star.
[1:16:23] Speaker 1: He didn't make that. But you still get him more.
[1:16:25] Speaker 1: But he's Lemon Daddy. But you're still getting more than him. Yeah,
[1:16:29] Speaker 1: you are. You're still getting more than him. And it
[1:16:31] Speaker 1: does not hurt you. He should be cool with the 200.
[1:16:34] Speaker 1: But it doesn't hurt you from... Future earnings?
[1:16:37] Speaker 4: You hit that 200 mark.
[1:16:39] Speaker 2: But I think at a certain point, too, maybe you
[1:16:40] Speaker 2: just don't want to be there. Obviously, you guys can
[1:16:42] Speaker 2: speak to this better than me, but maybe it's a
[1:16:43] Speaker 2: situation I'm not really rocking with anymore.
[1:16:45] Speaker 1: Then we don't need to negotiate. I'm not feeling the love.
[1:16:47] Speaker 3: Then we don't negotiate. Hey, brother, hey, listen.
[1:16:51] Speaker 4: You can't turn down, too.
[1:16:54] Speaker 1: Like, all this feeling, all your feelings, man. These people
[1:16:58] Speaker 1: are looking at these numbers in these books and shit
[1:17:00] Speaker 1: like that. The only way you bring feelings in is
[1:17:02] Speaker 1: if you know that man personally. And then, you know
[1:17:05] Speaker 1: what I mean? Then it becomes that. Other than that,
[1:17:08] Speaker 1: it's just number crunching. And I can tell you this,
[1:17:11] Speaker 1: you don't want to go in a city where you
[1:17:13] Speaker 1: are the man by yourself.
[1:17:15] Speaker 3: Hell no.
[1:17:17] Speaker 1: Not with the skill set you have right now. Would
[1:17:22] Speaker 1: you want to play with Darius Acuff if you're during? Huh?
[1:17:25] Speaker 1: Would you want to play with Darius Acuff if you're during?
[1:17:28] Speaker 4: Absolutely.
[1:17:28] Speaker 3: I think his past.
[1:17:33] Speaker 5: I think it's past that part as far as if
[1:17:35] Speaker 5: he's tripping off, you know, 30, 40 million and you
[1:17:39] Speaker 5: now take yourself to a situation like Sacramento, like we've
[1:17:42] Speaker 5: said before, you got to consider the taxes. And on
[1:17:45] Speaker 5: top of that, you're going to get a lower number
[1:17:47] Speaker 5: than you were offered in the first place.
[1:17:48] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:17:49] Speaker 5: So you've chopped yourself double now. So all of this
[1:17:53] Speaker 5: kind of looks pointless. You know what I mean?
[1:17:55] Speaker 3: Yeah. So, I don't know.
[1:17:57] Speaker 1: Take the bread.
[1:17:58] Speaker 5: Yeah, he's in a situation where he should definitely.
[1:17:59] Speaker 1: Take the bread.
[1:18:00] Speaker 5: That's what I always said. I wanted to see it.
[1:18:01] Speaker 5: Be in a winning situation. Stay at home with the
[1:18:04] Speaker 5: team that drafted you. And that's another thing. No team
[1:18:07] Speaker 5: is going to appreciate you more than the team that
[1:18:09] Speaker 5: drafted you. Until you've shown them something throughout the league
[1:18:13] Speaker 5: to where somebody else, like, I want that guy on
[1:18:16] Speaker 5: my team. But until then, no team is going to
[1:18:19] Speaker 5: appreciate you like the one that drafted you.
[1:18:20] Speaker 4: And another thing. We don't care about Utah. We end
[1:18:24] Speaker 4: up talking about Detroit and Jay and Darren, and y'all
[1:18:26] Speaker 4: think Utah going to be a sleeper in this league?
[1:18:29] Speaker 4: You're going to give this man a whole segment and
[1:18:32] Speaker 4: y'all talking about Detroit.
[1:18:33] Speaker 1: No, you talked about Detroit.
[1:18:35] Speaker 3: Utah, you're going to be an ace. We were talking
[1:18:39] Speaker 3: about Keontae. You went back to Doran.
[1:18:43] Speaker 4: You.
[1:18:44] Speaker 1: But let's talk more Seante, and furthermore, the backcourt. No, no,
[1:18:48] Speaker 1: don't force it. We don't want to talk about Utah.
[1:18:50] Speaker 3: We never force it.
[1:18:51] Speaker 1: Grade A hosting here.
[1:18:51] Speaker 4: We don't want to talk about Utah.
[1:18:52] Speaker 1: Grade A hosting. That's where the views go down.
[1:18:54] Speaker 4: We don't want to talk about Utah.
[1:18:55] Speaker 1: These are going to bring the views up. Jazz fans
[1:18:57] Speaker 1: are in the chat feeling very good about themselves. Mormon's
[1:19:00] Speaker 1: going to watch this show.
[1:19:02] Speaker 2: Mormon's going to watch this show. Soaking and smoking, but
[1:19:04] Speaker 2: doing everything. But let's talk about it. George and Darren Peterson.
[1:19:08] Speaker 2: now form a backcourt that could give the league problems
[1:19:10] Speaker 2: for years to come. Peterson, the second overall pick, set
[1:19:13] Speaker 2: a Kansas freshman record, averaging 20 points per game last season,
[1:19:17] Speaker 2: but missed 11 of his first 27 games. due to
[1:19:19] Speaker 2: cramping issues, among other ailments.
[1:19:21] Speaker 1: Hey, man, don't bring that negativity on my ideas.
[1:19:25] Speaker 3: Don't give him that. Like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[1:19:27] Speaker 1: We're not going to do that with his name. Let
[1:19:28] Speaker 1: me finish this.
[1:19:29] Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, no.
[1:19:30] Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck how many games he missed.
[1:19:32] Speaker 1: All them games he missed, he averaged 20. Imagine if
[1:19:35] Speaker 1: he played the full game, he would have led the
[1:19:37] Speaker 1: league in every day. He would have did all that.
[1:19:39] Speaker 3: That's what you need to say. You need to say
[1:19:40] Speaker 3: the real.
[1:19:41] Speaker 1: The real is he played half the season and averaged
[1:19:44] Speaker 1: a dud.
[1:19:45] Speaker 2: Good we tear down to lift up. We're just sharing
[1:19:47] Speaker 2: the information body moving so good. I had to cramp
[1:19:50] Speaker 2: himself That's all I did. I was stopping them just
[1:19:52] Speaker 2: a cramp a walking cramp itself.
[1:19:54] Speaker 3: All right, what's nobody in the double DCA?
[1:19:57] Speaker 1: NCAA nobody.
[1:19:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, but something off out of game Obviously, we're just
[1:20:03] Speaker 2: controversy amongst his freshman season But Peterson later claimed creatine
[1:20:06] Speaker 2: as the main cause of the problems during his long
[1:20:07] Speaker 2: college season none of these issues were concerned for the
[1:20:10] Speaker 2: jazz or Adidas or which gave him a top five
[1:20:13] Speaker 2: richest rookie shoe deal in NBA history. You don't need
[1:20:16] Speaker 2: a negative. Just do all the positive. It don't matter.
[1:20:20] Speaker 1: Top five. You got a period. You get cramps and shit.
[1:20:24] Speaker 1: That's crazy. This nigga crazy. That's why you can wear
[1:20:29] Speaker 1: a D-list.
[1:20:29] Speaker 3: Nigga, you get cramps. Peterson was impressive in five summer
[1:20:33] Speaker 3: league games across Salt Lake City and Vegas. Averaged 27
[1:20:35] Speaker 3: points on 53% shooting and 44% from deep.
[1:20:40] Speaker 2: With seven assists, but five turnovers per game in the
[1:20:42] Speaker 2: two games he played in the Salt Lake City Summer League,
[1:20:44] Speaker 2: and 21.
[1:20:45] Speaker 1: Points on 31% shooting.
[1:20:46] Speaker 2: 23% from three numbers went down, but he was in
[1:20:49] Speaker 2: Vegas in those Vegas games.
[1:20:50] Speaker 1: Give us Vegas. Wynn Buffet. Special work. Craft tables. Listen, listen.
[1:20:56] Speaker 1: For the people I like, let me tell you how to, like,
[1:20:59] Speaker 1: when you say this shit. Just say the point.
[1:21:01] Speaker 3: Just say, how much you average?
[1:21:04] Speaker 1: In Vegas, 21 points per game.
[1:21:05] Speaker 3: 21 points.
[1:21:06] Speaker 1: The shooting percentage, if it's bad, you don't have to
[1:21:08] Speaker 1: say it. You don't actually have to do it. Just say,
[1:21:10] Speaker 1: he averaged 21. You don't got to say, I averaged
[1:21:12] Speaker 1: five turnovers. Why are you doing all that? What the
[1:21:14] Speaker 1: fuck is all that for?
[1:21:16] Speaker 3: What all that hostility for, my guy?
[1:21:18] Speaker 1: He averaged 21 points. He was out there balling.
[1:21:22] Speaker 4: That's it.
[1:21:23] Speaker 1: Guys, you know we have a chat that keeps me honest.
[1:21:26] Speaker 1: That's it, huh?
[1:21:26] Speaker 4: How many games did he play?
[1:21:28] Speaker 1: Five summer league games.
[1:21:29] Speaker 3: It's summer league. Okay, and that on me on my
[1:21:32] Speaker 3: favorite time of the season. So that's what I said.
[1:21:34] Speaker 1: We ain't got to do all that negativity out there.
[1:21:35] Speaker 2: We'll get we're going to bring it back to positivity.
[1:21:37] Speaker 2: I'm going to ask you a question. What are your
[1:21:39] Speaker 2: expectations for Darren Peterson? He's a number two overall pick
[1:21:42] Speaker 2: him in County George in Utah.
[1:21:44] Speaker 4: I want to hear musty air Salt Lake City. I
[1:21:46] Speaker 4: want to hear rookie of the year over Wizards man.
[1:21:49] Speaker 4: I thought you were rookie of the year.
[1:21:51] Speaker 1: I got to start with Adidas first. My Adidas. I
[1:21:54] Speaker 1: think he has a better better.
[1:21:56] Speaker 3: Chance.
[1:22:00] Speaker 1: Because of the offense and how they're going to be playing, right?
[1:22:03] Speaker 1: So he's going to have the numbers and the chance
[1:22:06] Speaker 1: and opportunity to put up numbers, right?
[1:22:09] Speaker 3: Because they're going to have this fast-paced offense.
[1:22:12] Speaker 1: And being the third option, but could potentially be I mean,
[1:22:21] Speaker 1: he does have the mentality of this is my shit.
[1:22:24] Speaker 3: He's always been that way.
[1:22:25] Speaker 1: You say he's the third option? He can go in
[1:22:27] Speaker 1: as the third option. You got Mark and Keontae and
[1:22:29] Speaker 1: then it'll be him. But remember, he is, he got
[1:22:32] Speaker 1: that Kobe.
[1:22:33] Speaker 3: Mind where it's, y'all watch out, right?
[1:22:36] Speaker 1: He do have that in him. So he could fuck
[1:22:38] Speaker 1: around and say, all right, end of the game is
[1:22:40] Speaker 1: my ball, right? That's his style.
[1:22:42] Speaker 3: And then you have A.J.
[1:22:43] Speaker 1: Where, A.J. talent, He's so good that he could be like,
[1:22:54] Speaker 1: you know what? We can win a championship right now,
[1:22:57] Speaker 1: and we can really sit here and try to play
[1:23:00] Speaker 1: this team basketball.
[1:23:01] Speaker 3: He could do that too.
[1:23:02] Speaker 1: You said a champion?
[1:23:03] Speaker 3: No, I mean he's going to look.
[1:23:04] Speaker 1: Around at his teammates and say, yo, I got a
[1:23:06] Speaker 1: lot of weapons over here.
[1:23:07] Speaker 3: We can really be good, and he can go into.
[1:23:09] Speaker 1: The LeBron thing and try to win more than go
[1:23:11] Speaker 1: individual stats.
[1:23:12] Speaker 4: That's cool.
[1:23:13] Speaker 1: So if he can average 28, he'll say I'll average 22.
[1:23:16] Speaker 5: We can't ignore Caleb Wilson either, though. I don't know what.
[1:23:21] Speaker 5: He got the ultimate green light. I do like him.
[1:23:25] Speaker 5: Ultimate green light. I said it earlier.
[1:23:27] Speaker 1: I said he could be number one.
[1:23:29] Speaker 3: He can be number one. He can go average 22.
[1:23:32] Speaker 1: 22 and 8.
[1:23:32] Speaker 3: You're right.
[1:23:34] Speaker 1: Don't be surprised. You're right. He got the perfect situation.
[1:23:39] Speaker 1: He in the perfect situation. Just go score.
[1:23:41] Speaker 3: Windy City, everybody get out my way.
[1:23:44] Speaker 1: You're right.
[1:23:44] Speaker 4: He said Wizards and championships. And you let it slide.
[1:23:48] Speaker 1: I didn't. That's crazy. I questioned him. I said, championship? Yeah,
[1:23:53] Speaker 1: I heard that.
[1:23:54] Speaker 3: I didn't let it slide.
[1:23:55] Speaker 1: What'd you say after that, though?
[1:23:56] Speaker 4: You said, yeah.
[1:23:58] Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to just ask you this.
[1:24:00] Speaker 4: Don't ask me shit about no Wizards championship.
[1:24:02] Speaker 3: No, no, no. We're going to say this? We're going
[1:24:04] Speaker 3: to say it because.
[1:24:05] Speaker 1: I know when I say it, when I say it,
[1:24:07] Speaker 1: y'all are going to second guess it and y'all are
[1:24:11] Speaker 1: going to have to think about it. If the Wizards
[1:24:14] Speaker 1: and the Knicks play in the playoffs, who you got?
[1:24:18] Speaker 3: Knicks.
[1:24:18] Speaker 4: Sweet.
[1:24:20] Speaker 1: Think about what I'm saying. Is everybody healthy?
[1:24:23] Speaker 3: When you put Trey Young in the garden.
[1:24:26] Speaker 1: Anthony Davis. You put Trey Young in what has Trey,
[1:24:31] Speaker 1: the only person that goes into the garden, that wipes
[1:24:34] Speaker 1: the garden with his ass cheek, is that man and
[1:24:38] Speaker 1: that man only. He is the kryptonite to the garden.
[1:24:41] Speaker 1: Now he's coming in with some real boys behind him?
[1:24:44] Speaker 3: I agree.
[1:24:46] Speaker 5: Only thing I'm worried about is outside of A.D. and
[1:24:48] Speaker 5: him is not much experience. compared to a championship-proven team.
[1:24:54] Speaker 5: That's the biggest difference. On paper, yeah, they got a
[1:24:58] Speaker 5: lot of talent. And I think, like I said, I
[1:25:00] Speaker 5: think this is one of the most talented Wizards team
[1:25:03] Speaker 5: in a long time.
[1:25:04] Speaker 4: Probably the best talented Wizards team of all time.
[1:25:07] Speaker 1: You said what?
[1:25:08] Speaker 4: Probably the best Wizards team of all time.
[1:25:11] Speaker 3: On paper?
[1:25:12] Speaker 1: They got two number.
[1:25:14] Speaker 3: Three number ones. Damn near four number.
[1:25:16] Speaker 1: No, they got... Sars, they got a defense. Sars is
[1:25:19] Speaker 1: one of the two.
[1:25:20] Speaker 3: Yeah, he's really the number one pick.
[1:25:22] Speaker 1: I forgot about Sars.
[1:25:23] Speaker 3: But, yeah.
[1:25:24] Speaker 1: They got it.
[1:25:24] Speaker 3: They got it.
[1:25:25] Speaker 4: All right, let's get this out the way.
[1:25:27] Speaker 1: What's trade? Three? Four? Four. Him and Luka.
[1:25:30] Speaker 3: Because of 3-4. Yeah, Luka was three.
[1:25:33] Speaker 4: Can we get this out the way?
[1:25:34] Speaker 1: You think they're making the playoffs?
[1:25:35] Speaker 3: Who, the Wizards?
[1:25:36] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:25:37] Speaker 3: I think they will.
[1:25:39] Speaker 1: It's still the East.
[1:25:43] Speaker 3: This is the East Coast. This is the.
[1:25:46] Speaker 1: Same thing that Trey Young had when he went to
[1:25:49] Speaker 1: the playoffs every year. He's never had no AD.
[1:25:53] Speaker 3: He's never had.
[1:25:54] Speaker 1: A team like this. You can't be bad on it.
[1:25:57] Speaker 3: He's never had a team like that. The bullshit he
[1:25:59] Speaker 3: was taking to the playoffs.
[1:26:00] Speaker 1: You can trade on it, Swaggy. You can make a prediction.
[1:26:02] Speaker 1: Can we trade on it?
[1:26:03] Speaker 3: This is going to be our third trade. And they
[1:26:05] Speaker 3: got Aiden off the bench.
[1:26:06] Speaker 1: And Aiden off the bench.
[1:26:07] Speaker 4: And we will talk Wizards this week. What you want
[1:26:11] Speaker 4: to do? All right, what spot you think they're going
[1:26:13] Speaker 4: to be?
[1:26:14] Speaker 3: No, no, no, no. You said the playoffs.
[1:26:15] Speaker 1: I say play-in. Listen, whoever start off hot is going to.
[1:26:21] Speaker 1: I say they don't.
[1:26:23] Speaker 4: Okay.
[1:26:24] Speaker 1: You say Wizards don't make it? No. Just some people,
[1:26:27] Speaker 1: just some people, some people get in heightened.
[1:26:31] Speaker 3: I don't bet.
[1:26:32] Speaker 1: Some people get in heightened in certain situations. We do predictions, Swag.
[1:26:35] Speaker 1: We do predictions. And Trey Young in the garden has
[1:26:37] Speaker 1: been proven butter.
[1:26:38] Speaker 3: I don't get it.
[1:26:39] Speaker 4: Right?
[1:26:39] Speaker 1: It's just.
[1:26:40] Speaker 2: And we're going to talk Trey and the Wizards later
[1:26:42] Speaker 2: this week because I know you're excited about that. But
[1:26:43] Speaker 2: we were talking about the Utah Jazz.
[1:26:45] Speaker 1: Oh, man.
[1:26:46] Speaker 4: I can't.
[1:26:47] Speaker 1: I know. This is a bad conversation. Do you have
[1:26:50] Speaker 1: any jazz picks? It's so hard to talk about the jazz.
[1:26:52] Speaker 1: Darren Peterson. More specifically, easier to talk about your Adidas brother. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But,
[1:26:57] Speaker 1: I mean, don't get me wrong. They got a WNBA
[1:27:03] Speaker 1: TV schedule. Like, you know what I'm just saying?
[1:27:06] Speaker 3: It could be on TV.
[1:27:07] Speaker 1: It could.
[1:27:08] Speaker 3: It could.
[1:27:11] Speaker 1: Depending on what else is going on in life. You
[1:27:14] Speaker 1: know what I mean? It's like, you know, it's one
[1:27:15] Speaker 1: of those.
[1:27:16] Speaker 3: Is that in you, Chuck?
[1:27:18] Speaker 1: That I like with the jazz.
[1:27:19] Speaker 3: No, I'm just saying.
[1:27:20] Speaker 1: They're going to be like, it's Blueface on. Switch over
[1:27:24] Speaker 1: to Blueface.
[1:27:24] Speaker 2: Currently slated for six national TV games this season. I
[1:27:27] Speaker 2: think that number will continue to increase. There will be
[1:27:30] Speaker 2: a league pass darling.
[1:27:32] Speaker 3: It will increase.
[1:27:34] Speaker 1: You're not trying to watch Darren Peterson, Keontae George?
[1:27:36] Speaker 3: I'm trying to watch Darren Peterson. Okay. That's it.
[1:27:40] Speaker 6: I don't give a fuck about the rest of them.
[1:27:42] Speaker 6: Just like I did last year. It was on the
[1:27:44] Speaker 6: team last year, right? Nah, they a sleeper, bro. I'm
[1:27:45] Speaker 6: going to stand by that. They a sleeper. They a sleeper.
[1:27:49] Speaker 6: Just hating to hate. This would be a crazy thing.
[1:27:50] Speaker 6: Drink the water and hate her up. Utah and the
[1:27:52] Speaker 6: Wizards make the playoffs.
[1:27:54] Speaker 1: What's crazy? They improved. Who's more likely to make the
[1:27:56] Speaker 1: playoffs in your opinion, the Jazz or the Wizards?
[1:27:59] Speaker 4: Wizards.
[1:27:59] Speaker 1: Wizards.
[1:28:00] Speaker 4: No.
[1:28:00] Speaker 1: Think about it, gentlemen. The Wizards. I have Anthony Davis
[1:28:04] Speaker 1: with Trey Young. Sounds great on paper. With another seven-footer
[1:28:09] Speaker 1: and A.J.
[1:28:11] Speaker 3: Come on.
[1:28:11] Speaker 1: Are you serious?
[1:28:12] Speaker 3: Sounds great.
[1:28:13] Speaker 4: Y'all said the same thing about Dallas last year.
[1:28:16] Speaker 3: But nobody was hurt.
[1:28:18] Speaker 1: I said if they were all healthy, they all healthy
[1:28:20] Speaker 1: with Cooper Flagg, I said that's how every champion.
[1:28:22] Speaker 3: Man, hell no. No. I said the same thing with Magic.
[1:28:25] Speaker 3: That's how Magic championship as a rookie, right? You got
[1:28:28] Speaker 3: to think about the team before. And then Spurs. And
[1:28:31] Speaker 3: then Spurs?
[1:28:32] Speaker 1: A championship? When AD, if AD was healthy, Kyrie was healthy. No,
[1:28:38] Speaker 1: I still don't.
[1:28:39] Speaker 3: Yeah. they had them winning the championship.
[1:28:41] Speaker 1: I said they're going to have the same team back
[1:28:43] Speaker 1: and you add the number one pick.
[1:28:44] Speaker 3: That's a whole different fucking lineup. That's how Spurs won, right?
[1:28:48] Speaker 1: They had a nice-ass team.
[1:28:51] Speaker 3: They all got hurt.
[1:28:52] Speaker 1: They got the number one pick, got Tim Duncan, boom.
[1:28:54] Speaker 1: There they go.
[1:28:56] Speaker 4: That ain't happened since, though.
[1:28:57] Speaker 3: All right, well, Well, technically, technically, technically, he did.
[1:29:01] Speaker 1: Warriors. When they got Wiseman. They was the championship. They
[1:29:06] Speaker 1: mean that championship. They always hurt. They end up getting
[1:29:09] Speaker 1: the two pick. They end up getting the two pick.
[1:29:11] Speaker 1: They end up getting the two pick. The second pick
[1:29:13] Speaker 1: in the draft. It was Wiseman they won. They just
[1:29:15] Speaker 1: didn't really need him much. Didn't get Hailey LaMelo.
[1:29:17] Speaker 4: That was 2022? No, when did the Warriors win?
[1:29:21] Speaker 3: 20?
[1:29:21] Speaker 4: 22. 22.
[1:29:21] Speaker 1: Yeah.
