[0:31] Speaker 2: Ocho Cinco.
[0:32] Speaker 1: Okay. Oh! Ocho.
[0:34] Speaker 2: Let's make it happen.
[0:35] Speaker 1: Ocho.
[0:36] Speaker 2: He called me out.
[0:37] Speaker 1: He did.
[0:38] Speaker 2: Oh, man. I think he's scared. He said he didn't
[0:41] Speaker 2: want to box. He said he's scared. Not a pugilist.
[0:46] Speaker 1: Yeah. I would.
[0:47] Speaker 2: I didn't even notice the gloves.
[0:50] Speaker 3: The gloves fit. You might get hit. But this is

[1:07] Speaker 1: Still getting cooked?
[1:09] Speaker 2: You can't get cooked every time you sit on this couch. Yeah,
[1:12] Speaker 2: I mean. Do you ever win?
[1:13] Speaker 1: Yeah, like. Fuck. Yeah, like, was today a better morning? Yeah. Like,
[1:17] Speaker 1: can we get the legend? First of all, just win

[1:35] Speaker 2: Like they don't do nothing but that.
[1:37] Speaker 4: But that's what you're used to. You like that type
[1:39] Speaker 4: of shit. You want to shoot everything and just.
[1:41] Speaker 3: No, Gilby getting froze out a lot on these games.
[1:45] Speaker 3: Just give me cardio. No, they be making me Draymond
[1:47] Speaker 3: Green on that motherfucker like.
[1:49] Speaker 1: Like, I'd be spending my $ 140 to sit in the corner. Nah, bro.
[1:55] Speaker 1: Being talked to like, I don't know, basketball. Get over
[1:59] Speaker 1: in the corner. Wait till we do this. Back door. Like, wait.
[2:02] Speaker 1: Just give me the ball. Let me do my thing.
[2:04] Speaker 1: I'm a corner dude. I'm the most expensive corner dude.
[2:08] Speaker 2: 2K will humble you. Amen. They are.
[2:10] Speaker 1: No, no. Them geeks will humble you. The Geek Squad.
[2:13] Speaker 1: They're paying a quarter of a lot of money in
[2:16] Speaker 1: that game.
[2:16] Speaker 2: Not on 2K. But that's you.
[2:18] Speaker 1: I was like, why did I spend my money? I
[2:19] Speaker 1: could have just sat here for free. I got six
[2:23] Speaker 1: million VC. Can't do nothing with it.
[2:25] Speaker 2: They hurt, don't they?
[2:26] Speaker 1: Yeah, dude. See you next again. We have NBA champion
[2:30] Speaker 1: of the world.
[2:31] Speaker 2: The Educator Brother.
[2:32] Speaker 1: The Educator Brother. Swaggy P. Nick Young back here with us.
[2:39] Speaker 3: And on this side of the couch, we have the
[2:40] Speaker 3: man they call Cemetery Larry, NCAA champion of the world,
[2:43] Speaker 3: Rashad McCants.
[2:45] Speaker 2: Boxing champ.
[2:46] Speaker 1: The champ is here. Okay.
[2:50] Speaker 2: Boxing champ.
[2:50] Speaker 1: The champ is here.
[2:51] Speaker 3: And last but not least, represent tough crowd and a
[2:53] Speaker 3: card-carrying country club member, we got Mr. B, Brandon Jennings.

[2:59] Speaker 2: This is good.
[3:01] Speaker 5: Yeah, man, you see how the golf inspired y'all, man.

[3:29] Speaker 2: Oh, no.
[3:30] Speaker 1: But, you know. If you're thinking about putting money up,
[3:33] Speaker 1: I am not accepting. Okay. Okay?
[3:35] Speaker 2: Okay.
[3:35] Speaker 1: All right. This is what I'm saying. I am not
[3:39] Speaker 1: accepting the challenge.
[3:40] Speaker 3: A legal sanctioned event for all to enjoy. February 12th.
[3:44] Speaker 3: Shout out to me.

[3:48] Speaker 5: Like, if you hit a hole in one or closest
[3:49] Speaker 5: to the pin, yeah, we're going to give out a
[3:51] Speaker 5: pickup truck.
[3:51] Speaker 2: Closest to the pin?
[3:53] Speaker 1: Uh-huh. Uh-oh.
[3:54] Speaker 2: Closest to it?
[3:55] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[3:55] Speaker 2: Not even got to go in? No, just closest to it.
[3:58] Speaker 3: We'll be on the lookout February 12th, All-Star weekend here
[4:00] Speaker 3: in Los Angeles. We've got a lot of things to discuss.
[4:02] Speaker 3: Here's what's cracking in Gil's arena today. Wimby thinks he's
[4:06] Speaker 3: the best player in the league right now. Is the
[4:09] Speaker 3: alien spitting or tripping? KD blamed Steph and Damian Lillard
[4:14] Speaker 3: for ruining the All-Star game.
[4:16] Speaker 2: But is that facts or cap?
[4:18] Speaker 3: And after a long-standing fallout, Kevin Garnett and the Wolves
[4:21] Speaker 3: are finally reuniting. We look back on the big tickets
[4:25] Speaker 3: impact in Minnesota. But before we get into all that,
[4:28] Speaker 3: as always, this show is brought to you by Underdog.

[4:56] Speaker 3: just on YouTube. We have audio versions available on Apple, Spotify,
[4:59] Speaker 3: wherever you get your podcasts from. So Spurs coming off
[5:03] Speaker 3: their first NBA Cup title game appearance. Did not get
[5:07] Speaker 3: it done, but Wimby came out on fire to start
[5:09] Speaker 3: this season, averaging 26 points, 13 rebounds, nearly four blocks,
[5:13] Speaker 3: and one steal in his first 11 games before being
[5:15] Speaker 3: sidelined with a calf strain, with many considering him to
[5:18] Speaker 3: be a frontrunner in both the MVP and Defensive Player
[5:21] Speaker 3: of the Year discussions at that point. Alien returned, but
[5:24] Speaker 3: the NBA Cup did work in limited minutes. So during
[5:26] Speaker 3: an interview with ESPN's Malika Andrews before the NBA Cup semis,
[5:30] Speaker 3: Wimmy was asked who he thinks is the best player
[5:32] Speaker 3: in the league, and he had this response, saying, quote,
[5:36] Speaker 3: Jokic is the best offensive player. I don't think he's
[5:38] Speaker 3: the best player. I think it's between Giannis and Shea.
[5:42] Speaker 3: When I come back on the court, I think it'll
[5:44] Speaker 3: be me. So Wimmy may have been limited by a
[5:46] Speaker 3: minutes restriction in these past two games, but still showed
[5:49] Speaker 3: how important he is to the Spurs and the future
[5:51] Speaker 3: of the league. So you heard what Wimby just said.
[5:53] Speaker 3: I want to ask this couch, do you agree with
[5:55] Speaker 3: Wimby for saying that he's the best player in the league?
[5:58] Speaker 3: He didn't say he was the best player in the league.
[6:00] Speaker 3: He said, when I come back, I will be the best.
[6:02] Speaker 3: It will be me.
[6:03] Speaker 1: When he comes back full healthy.
[6:06] Speaker 2: And he has come back. He has risen. No, I
[6:08] Speaker 2: don't think.
[6:09] Speaker 1: He didn't mean like as soon as he stepped on,
[6:10] Speaker 1: he plays 10 minutes. I think when he says he's
[6:12] Speaker 1: coming back and he's playing four minutes, he's back starting.
[6:19] Speaker 2: The fact that he can– I mean– He's very intelligent.
[6:25] Speaker 1: Because he looks at the game as if he's researched 70s, 80s, 90s,
[6:34] Speaker 1: 2000s basketball. So he can separate the difference between offense overall.
[6:41] Speaker 1: He has the understanding of the full game of basketball
[6:44] Speaker 1: and how he said it.
[6:45] Speaker 2: He's right.
[6:46] Speaker 1: Offensively, what everything Joker brings offensively to the game, he
[6:51] Speaker 1: can say he's the best at it, right?
[6:54] Speaker 2: When you're talking about.
[6:55] Speaker 1: The full package.
[6:55] Speaker 2: Inch per inch or just the best? The full package
[6:58] Speaker 2: of it.
[6:58] Speaker 1: The full package of it? You have Shea who plays
[7:03] Speaker 1: both sides of the court, and you have somebody like
[7:05] Speaker 1: Giannis who plays both sides of the court. So he
[7:07] Speaker 1: feels as what his defense is and what he brings
[7:12] Speaker 1: to the offensive side, when he's playing at a very
[7:15] Speaker 1: high level, he can say that his total package of
[7:20] Speaker 1: what he brings He is the best player in NBA.
[7:23] Speaker 2: Total package. Educator brother on the end of the couch. No,
[7:31] Speaker 2: he's not tripping.
[7:32] Speaker 4: But he has a 10 to go back into being
[7:35] Speaker 4: a lunchtime baller. But the potential is there. I also
[7:42] Speaker 4: would like him to mention Castle. Castle is turning into
[7:46] Speaker 4: one of my favorite players, too. He's turning into an
[7:48] Speaker 4: all-around great player on this team. But for Wimby, he
[7:55] Speaker 4: got it. It's hard to beat 6'4, I mean 7'4,
[8:00] Speaker 4: that could do everything that them guys he mentioned does,
[8:04] Speaker 4: but play both sides of the floor. I think he's
[8:08] Speaker 4: like in that Kobe fro mode when he came back,
[8:12] Speaker 4: and he's starting to realize his game and where he's
[8:15] Speaker 4: at amongst the players in the NBA.
[8:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll see.
[8:21] Speaker 3: That's why you say his potential to go back to
[8:23] Speaker 3: being a lunchtime hooper. Do you feel like he's escaped
[8:25] Speaker 3: that lunchtime hooper stigma that you placed on him last season?
[8:28] Speaker 4: Yeah, he listened, you know. But he came out the gates,
[8:34] Speaker 4: you know, wanting to prove his educated brother wrong. But, like,
[8:38] Speaker 4: in games like in the cup final, I mean, the
[8:43] Speaker 4: championship game, whatever, the end-season championship, like that fourth quarter,
[8:47] Speaker 4: He starts selling for more threes and forcing threes and
[8:50] Speaker 4: stuff instead of sticking to the game plan he's been
[8:55] Speaker 4: doing all year.
[8:55] Speaker 3: Let's move to this side of the couch. Mr. B,
[8:58] Speaker 3: do you agree with what he's saying? He thinks he's
[9:00] Speaker 3: the best player in the league. He has the ability
[9:02] Speaker 3: to be.
[9:04] Speaker 5: I think if he gets a couple more games under
[9:06] Speaker 5: his belt, go deeper into the playoffs.
[9:10] Speaker 6: I mean, defensively, he's definitely going to be one of
[9:13] Speaker 6: the greatest defensive players ever if he stays healthy.
[9:17] Speaker 1: But it's just time.
[9:18] Speaker 5: You know, it just takes time right now.
[9:20] Speaker 6: You know, SGA, Giannis, Jokic, they're all already proven and
[9:24] Speaker 6: they're already still going right now.
[9:25] Speaker 5: But I think if he makes more.
[9:27] Speaker 6: Deeper runs in the playoffs and stay healthy, you know, and,
[9:31] Speaker 6: you know, get easier shots offensively and be able to
[9:34] Speaker 6: put the whole, you know, everything together, I think it'd
[9:36] Speaker 6: be OK.
[9:37] Speaker 1: Rashad, you've been a big fan of Wimby.
[9:40] Speaker 2: Knicks and Wimby were your two teams, I believe, entering
[9:43] Speaker 2: this season.
[9:44] Speaker 3: You appreciate the confidence from Wimby saying that he thinks
[9:46] Speaker 3: he's the best player in the league, Kurt.
[9:49] Speaker 7: Well, you know, I like to talk hoop. So, we're
[9:54] Speaker 7: going to do that. Let's go back to the one
[9:57] Speaker 7: notion that he brought to the beginning of the season,
[9:59] Speaker 7: which was sorting out other players in the history of
[10:03] Speaker 7: the game, trying to take the knowledge and wisdom from
[10:06] Speaker 7: what they have, putting it into his game. The potential
[10:10] Speaker 7: has always been there. I was talking to my sister
[10:12] Speaker 7: the other day about how when he played against Rudy
[10:14] Speaker 7: Gobert when he was 16, 17 years old, proving that
[10:18] Speaker 7: he can actually take a leap forward based on just
[10:20] Speaker 7: his raw abilities. I think still now with the Spurs,
[10:24] Speaker 7: he's being held back just a little bit based on
[10:27] Speaker 7: him having to play in the reference of finding out
[10:31] Speaker 7: how they're going to build around him in the totality
[10:33] Speaker 7: of his talents. So a lot of the things that
[10:36] Speaker 7: he was doing in the championship game was based on
[10:39] Speaker 7: the flow of the game, how the team was playing,
[10:41] Speaker 7: and him not having to force things up but still
[10:44] Speaker 7: having a minutes restriction. So if you think about coming
[10:47] Speaker 7: off the bench being cold, you want to get into
[10:49] Speaker 7: the flow of the game. So you throw up a
[10:50] Speaker 7: couple shots just to see if you can get the
[10:52] Speaker 7: flow of the game, get the feel of the game.
[10:55] Speaker 2: He's not a big man.
[10:57] Speaker 7: I think that's the one notion we have to get
[10:58] Speaker 7: out of with him. And he's not a five. He
[11:01] Speaker 7: is a guard. He is Bobo. He is one of
[11:04] Speaker 7: those guys that we have to really respect the fact
[11:06] Speaker 7: that he's never played a big man position. But defensively,
[11:09] Speaker 7: he does what he's supposed to do. He changes the game.
[11:13] Speaker 7: He makes people change their shot. He makes people question
[11:16] Speaker 7: whether they should go inside or not. That alone just
[11:19] Speaker 7: changes his trajectory when it comes to him thinking that
[11:22] Speaker 7: he can be the best player. And I think that's
[11:24] Speaker 7: the number one thing everybody needs to pay attention to.
[11:27] Speaker 7: He said, this is what I think of myself. Everybody
[11:30] Speaker 7: else don't have to think that he is, but my
[11:32] Speaker 7: notion is his. I think that he is, and I
[11:36] Speaker 7: think that he should keep that confidence, the same confidence
[11:38] Speaker 7: Anthony Edwards had when he came out saying what he
[11:41] Speaker 7: said about himself. and if he keeps that, that energy
[11:45] Speaker 7: is going to trickle down.
[11:46] Speaker 2: Throughout the whole team, and they are going to feel
[11:48] Speaker 2: the same way.
[11:50] Speaker 1: I forgot about that, man.
[11:53] Speaker 3: Your point, too, I think with Wimby, it's the totality
[11:55] Speaker 3: of the game, right? What I can do on the
[11:57] Speaker 3: defensive side, I may not be there offensively on Jokic's
[11:59] Speaker 3: level yet, getting there, but I bring on that other
[12:02] Speaker 3: side a potential defensive player of the year candidate every
[12:05] Speaker 3: season as long as he can hit that 65-game threshold.
[12:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, the upsides. The upside is his offense because it's
[12:12] Speaker 2: so raw, right?
[12:15] Speaker 1: He has all the tools to be an unstoppable offensive force.
[12:23] Speaker 1: What he's lacking is the IQ of scoring the ball, right?
[12:30] Speaker 1: Reading the defense. He has basketball IQ, but a scoring IQ,
[12:37] Speaker 1: understanding what a defense is trying to do how to
[12:40] Speaker 1: combat that, he doesn't have the pure offensive player's mind yet.
[12:47] Speaker 1: He has a basketball mind, but when you're talking about
[12:50] Speaker 1: just a straight hooper, like a dude who knows how
[12:53] Speaker 1: to just get buckets, like a Brunson mindset, right, where
[12:57] Speaker 1: you know how to manipulate, okay, he's coming from here,
[12:59] Speaker 1: let me jump this way, let me fake this pass.
[13:02] Speaker 1: Once he starts reading how his defensive– he will stop
[13:06] Speaker 1: forcing random shit thinking he's open, right? Because he will
[13:10] Speaker 1: know he's open because he will know that, okay, I
[13:12] Speaker 1: have this little guy here, I'm shooting this. Okay, I'm
[13:15] Speaker 1: going to take two dribbles, he's going to swipe through,
[13:17] Speaker 1: so I'm going to take these little two, let him swipe,
[13:19] Speaker 1: pull it over, shoot. Once he starts doing that and
[13:22] Speaker 1: you will see it quick, then you will understand.
[13:24] Speaker 2: It seems like.
[13:25] Speaker 1: Cooper Flagg right now has more offensive patience and understanding
[13:29] Speaker 1: of offense than Wimby does. But Wimby's ceiling is very,
[13:34] Speaker 1: very it's way higher than Cooper.
[13:38] Speaker 2: Flags will be. It's hard because he could do so
[13:40] Speaker 2: much out there.
[13:41] Speaker 1: Because he wants to do, like... And he wants to
[13:43] Speaker 1: show so much. He wants to, like, he really wants
[13:46] Speaker 1: to show that he can bing, bing, bing. I got
[13:48] Speaker 1: it all when some games don't need it all. You
[13:51] Speaker 1: don't really need it all.
[13:52] Speaker 2: That's true.
[13:54] Speaker 1: You have more than enough. You have 99 dribbling, but
[13:56] Speaker 1: you don't really need it.
[13:59] Speaker 2: It's like... For real.
[14:00] Speaker 1: There's no 99 defense out there for you. Just make
[14:02] Speaker 1: it easier for you than... Once he starts doing that,
[14:05] Speaker 1: then the sky is the limit.
[14:10] Speaker 3: Speaking of the limit, Spurs 18-7 to start this season
[14:13] Speaker 3: tied with the Lakers with an 18-7 record. Lakers are
[14:16] Speaker 3: the third seed. Spurs are the fourth seed based on tiebreakers.
[14:18] Speaker 3: That's with Wimby being sidelined for nearly half of their games.
[14:22] Speaker 3: They were 34-48 last season with Wimby missing 36 games
[14:24] Speaker 3: due to injury. Nine and three in the 12 games
[14:27] Speaker 3: Wimby missed this season. So when you look at this
[14:29] Speaker 3: Spurs squad as currently constructed, what's the Spurs ceiling this
[14:32] Speaker 3: season if Wimby can stay healthy?
[14:37] Speaker 2: Western Conference Finals.
[14:39] Speaker 3: You think they could get to the Western Conference Finals
[14:41] Speaker 3: with this squad? With him healthy and the way they plan, yeah.
[14:49] Speaker 3: They definitely have a good chance of getting there.
[14:51] Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. He need one of those moments, though.
[14:56] Speaker 4: I think that would boost his confidence, having that, what
[15:00] Speaker 4: was it, LeBron versus Boston type of playoff.
[15:05] Speaker 2: He need one of those.
[15:08] Speaker 3: Sean, when you look at the Spurs squad, what do
[15:09] Speaker 3: you feel like the Spurs ceiling is and when we
[15:11] Speaker 3: can stay healthy?
[15:11] Speaker 7: I think they make a good trade for another big
[15:15] Speaker 7: man because they could take it all the way.
[15:18] Speaker 3: You think that if they trade for what caliber of
[15:21] Speaker 3: big man would they need to trade for for you
[15:22] Speaker 3: to be confident that.
[15:23] Speaker 7: They could take it all the way? A Mitchell Robinson type.
[15:30] Speaker 7: Another coordinate out there. Offensive rebounder. Harkinstein type. Give Wimby
[15:37] Speaker 7: some breathers out there. I think they got everything else
[15:39] Speaker 7: they need. I think with Castle, he makes a lot
[15:43] Speaker 7: of second year mistakes, jump passes, just turnovers that are
[15:50] Speaker 7: just unforced a lot of times just due to his.
[15:55] Speaker 2: Inexperience. They have everything you need, like I said before.
[16:02] Speaker 7: Even Sohan being on the bench, they still got Kelly
[16:05] Speaker 7: Olenek over there.
[16:06] Speaker 1: They....
[16:09] Speaker 7: And I said, you know, Wimby's being underutilized at this
[16:12] Speaker 7: point just based on team morale. So give them another big,
[16:17] Speaker 7: and they'll be set. Because right now, Cornette can't do
[16:20] Speaker 7: it by himself out there. He's not enough. He doesn't
[16:23] Speaker 7: have a defensive presence that Wimby does. You give somebody
[16:26] Speaker 7: another defender out there that's big enough to do what
[16:30] Speaker 7: they did against OKC, that was the difference maker. And
[16:34] Speaker 7: I think if OKC is the standard in the league
[16:36] Speaker 7: as a top team to beat– to get to the championship,
[16:40] Speaker 7: and you can beat them the way that we beat them,
[16:43] Speaker 7: due to the defense that Winby possesses in the paint presence,
[16:48] Speaker 7: we can do that. I think giving him good minutes
[16:51] Speaker 7: every now and again, get him back on the floor,
[16:53] Speaker 7: on and off, it'll be dope. So they definitely got
[16:56] Speaker 7: a chance to win it all. Fuck the halfway. They
[16:59] Speaker 7: can win it all.
[17:04] Speaker 2: First round exit. Let me just be honest.
[17:08] Speaker 3: You don't think this Spurs team can win a playoff
[17:10] Speaker 3: series in Adam Silver's Western Conference?
[17:12] Speaker 1: He said first round. He said first round.
[17:15] Speaker 2: They play like the Warriors.
[17:16] Speaker 1: I mean, if they beat the Warriors, that means they
[17:19] Speaker 1: got to be so high up there that they're playing
[17:20] Speaker 1: the bottom seed Warriors. Right now, the way they are,
[17:23] Speaker 1: they're going to be playing either Minnesota, Houston. Yeah, this
[17:29] Speaker 1: means nothing, but the Rockets or Timberwolves, the 5th or 6th.
[17:33] Speaker 2: You're talking about a team that.
[17:36] Speaker 1: Their defense is good because of Wimby, right? Meaning, if
[17:40] Speaker 1: he's healthy, they're great defensively. Offensively, they're not as good
[17:46] Speaker 1: as you think, right? They still don't know what they're
[17:50] Speaker 1: doing offensively. They struggle offensively. They put the ball, but
[17:54] Speaker 1: their defense is what's holding now. You got two guys
[17:57] Speaker 1: who can't shoot a brick from the field, I mean,
[18:00] Speaker 1: from the three or the free throw line.
[18:02] Speaker 2: Your two guards... that are athletic.
[18:05] Speaker 1: They're shooting, what, 20% from the three, and they're shooting, like,
[18:09] Speaker 1: low 70 from the free throw line.
[18:11] Speaker 2: So they're still.
[18:12] Speaker 1: Trying to find their way, and we know in the
[18:14] Speaker 1: playoffs that floor shrinks, and they're going to force you.
[18:17] Speaker 1: They're going to force Castle to shoot a lot of threes.
[18:20] Speaker 1: They're going to force Harper to shoot a lot of threes, right?
[18:24] Speaker 2: So because.
[18:28] Speaker 1: Because you need your guard play here in the playoffs
[18:32] Speaker 1: and your big is playing like a guard, I don't
[18:35] Speaker 1: see them winning a seven-game series against an elite team
[18:39] Speaker 1: that understands offense and defense. So I don't see them
[18:42] Speaker 1: beating Houston in a seven-game series. They're not beating Denver
[18:46] Speaker 1: in a seven-game series.
[18:46] Speaker 5: You think because too many guards got the green light?
[18:50] Speaker 2: No, it's just.
[18:51] Speaker 1: It's still basketball, right? You know, you're still raw. But, like,
[18:57] Speaker 1: what are their players, though?
[18:58] Speaker 5: But, like, what are their players? Whoever get it, just go?
[19:00] Speaker 2: Or is it... Right, they look for the mismatch, right?
[19:03] Speaker 1: Like, you're going to have to really minimize your bad shooting. So,
[19:09] Speaker 1: when we're coming down shooting long threes, that's not going
[19:11] Speaker 1: to work. Like, you beat an okay team shooting 41%.
[19:13] Speaker 1: You're shooting 41%. You did, like.
[19:19] Speaker 2: Who was favorite in the Knicks series?
[19:22] Speaker 1: Knicks.
[19:23] Speaker 2: They actually were favorite.
[19:25] Speaker 1: From Vegas, Vegas had them favorite, and they covered that spread. Right?
[19:29] Speaker 1: So you beat OKC. You didn't get no, OK, we
[19:34] Speaker 1: think you're going to win this championship because you have
[19:37] Speaker 1: a lot of flaws, and the flaws is putting the
[19:39] Speaker 1: ball in the basket at a high rate.
[19:41] Speaker 5: You don't think these next two games they got coming
[19:43] Speaker 5: up with OKC says a lot about their season?
[19:46] Speaker 2: Do you think they're going to beat Houston? in a
[19:49] Speaker 2: seven game series.
[19:51] Speaker 1: Right now, no.
[19:52] Speaker 2: Okay.
[19:53] Speaker 1: So, like, you know what I mean? Because we know
[19:55] Speaker 1: one thing that they do, what OKC do have, right?
[19:59] Speaker 1: They have offensive guys who can consistently put the ball
[20:03] Speaker 1: in the basket.
[20:04] Speaker 2: I think it comes through experience. No, that's what I'm saying.
[20:07] Speaker 1: I think Z-Fox can help, though.
[20:09] Speaker 2: Can I ask a question?
[20:10] Speaker 1: Go ahead.
[20:11] Speaker 7: Did OKC hit shots against the Spurs?
[20:13] Speaker 2: No.
[20:14] Speaker 1: No. No, they both shot 41%.
[20:17] Speaker 7: So that means that usually OKC hits shots, right?
[20:20] Speaker 5: Yeah, so one game they didn't hit shots.
[20:22] Speaker 1: Right.
[20:22] Speaker 7: So the Spurs not hitting shots in the game against
[20:27] Speaker 7: the Knicks. It just wasn't hitting shots. They had open looks,
[20:31] Speaker 7: Harrison Barnes. All those guys were missing shots. Wide open shots.
[20:34] Speaker 2: Champagny.
[20:35] Speaker 7: These are shots that would put us up 15. Put
[20:39] Speaker 7: us up 20.
[20:40] Speaker 1: But it didn't.
[20:40] Speaker 7: So because we didn't hit shots.
[20:42] Speaker 1: Right.
[20:43] Speaker 7: So if we're going to talk hoop, we know the
[20:45] Speaker 7: game is a game of runs. It's a game of
[20:48] Speaker 7: if we're hitting shots tonight or we're not hitting shots tonight.
[20:51] Speaker 7: If we hit shots in a seven game series, three
[20:53] Speaker 7: games out of seven. Anybody anybody if you can shoot
[20:58] Speaker 7: the ball, it can't be anybody because that's Charlotte You're
[21:01] Speaker 7: looking at other certain teams.
[21:02] Speaker 2: You don't have the portability. We're gonna be okay.
[21:05] Speaker 7: 100% So listen what I'm saying listen, okay, you can
[21:09] Speaker 7: ignore it Just know just to go against me, but
[21:12] Speaker 7: I'm saying I'm our team the Spurs if we're hitting
[21:15] Speaker 7: shots Mm-hmm, not castle But the guys who's supposed to
[21:20] Speaker 7: hit shots We have a very high probability of winning
[21:25] Speaker 7: any series Why? Because we play defense at the same
[21:29] Speaker 7: clip as OKC. The same clip as any other high
[21:32] Speaker 7: defensive rated teams. And we match up good with Houston.
[21:39] Speaker 7: So the difference is only going to be in making
[21:41] Speaker 7: shots and who's going to make the other team take
[21:43] Speaker 7: tough shots.
[21:44] Speaker 1: So when I said their offense is the problem. If
[21:49] Speaker 1: they're not making shots, it's going to be hard for
[21:52] Speaker 1: them to win the series. That's what I was saying.
[21:55] Speaker 1: So Against OKC, they didn't make shots, nor OKC made shots.
[22:00] Speaker 1: They won that game. The next game, they didn't make shots.
[22:03] Speaker 1: The other team made shots. The other team won that game.
[22:06] Speaker 1: So when you're saying that if they make shots three games,
[22:09] Speaker 1: they win those three, but the other four games that
[22:11] Speaker 1: they didn't make shots, they lose that game. That's all
[22:13] Speaker 1: I'm saying.
[22:14] Speaker 7: They need to get their offense stability. I never disagree
[22:16] Speaker 7: with what you're saying, my guy. You said what you said.
[22:18] Speaker 7: You didn't have to rebuttal. I'm saying what you're saying.
[22:22] Speaker 1: You said I disagree.
[22:24] Speaker 2: You're right, man.
[22:26] Speaker 7: I believe that this is a game. I asked the
[22:29] Speaker 7: question starting off. I asked the question. They hit shots.
[22:33] Speaker 7: They're going to win. They're going to win games because
[22:36] Speaker 7: they play both sides of the ball.
[22:38] Speaker 1: So y'all basically said that.
[22:39] Speaker 2: But what if you got to be able to win
[22:41] Speaker 2: without making shots? What is the question for? You got
[22:43] Speaker 2: to be able to win the hard games when you're
[22:45] Speaker 2: not making shots.
[22:46] Speaker 3: We just won the hard game. The hard game was OKC.
[22:49] Speaker 3: Did beat the Thunder. Both shot 41% in the field.
[22:51] Speaker 3: Spurs shot 41% again in the NBA Cup title game.
[22:53] Speaker 3: Knicks shot 47%. And our main guy is on minute restriction.
[22:57] Speaker 3: He's playing 20 minutes a game.
[23:00] Speaker 5: Yeah, we said that. Yeah, I said that yesterday. I
[23:03] Speaker 5: said that's why that was a difference.
[23:06] Speaker 3: So do you anticipate this first squad trying to make
[23:08] Speaker 3: a move to bolster this roster? We have talked previously
[23:10] Speaker 3: about when they would go all in to start making this.
[23:12] Speaker 4: But do you think they'd beat the Lakers in a
[23:14] Speaker 4: seven-game series? I was thinking that. I was looking at
[23:23] Speaker 4: the teams who they could beat.
[23:28] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[23:30] Speaker 1: I don't know.
[23:30] Speaker 2: I don't know, but that's what I'm saying. It's different.
[23:33] Speaker 1: It's different in the playoffs.
[23:34] Speaker 2: It's different in the playoffs.
[23:36] Speaker 1: It's only because it's just they're– I'm not worried. They
[23:41] Speaker 1: will defend– in a playoff series, they will hold everybody 50%
[23:46] Speaker 1: and below. I don't see anyone jumping up and having
[23:51] Speaker 1: a 60%, 70% game against them. So I have everyone
[23:56] Speaker 1: sitting about 50% to low 40% on their offense. But
[24:02] Speaker 1: the problem is can they have a consistent– 50% output.
[24:07] Speaker 1: That's the question in the playoffs because the playoffs is
[24:11] Speaker 1: making them play offense in a half court. And that
[24:14] Speaker 1: becomes a difference with guys who don't shoot the ball
[24:16] Speaker 1: and the big that wants to play on the outside.
[24:20] Speaker 1: So it's going to be when he's on the outside,
[24:22] Speaker 1: you're not getting offensive rebounds, right? And then when your
[24:27] Speaker 1: guards do get fouls shooting at a low 70%, I mean, it's...
[24:31] Speaker 1: If you have a bad matchup, if you have any
[24:33] Speaker 1: decent matchup, Houston.
[24:36] Speaker 1: You got Houston, you got Denver, you got Timberwolves, right?
[24:42] Speaker 1: Those guys in the playoffs, they have go-to guys who
[24:45] Speaker 1: understand how to put the ball in the basket at
[24:47] Speaker 1: a very high level. So it's just, the matchup, I
[24:51] Speaker 1: have them going out in the first round in a
[24:53] Speaker 1: seven-game series. If they play the Warriors, then maybe, yeah.
[24:57] Speaker 2: But Wimpy is a change in the half. Defensively. No,
[25:00] Speaker 2: but just throwing him the ball in the post. He
[25:03] Speaker 2: don't post.
[25:04] Speaker 1: We can't think of how we would play the game.
[25:07] Speaker 1: We got to think about how they actually play the game.
[25:10] Speaker 7: The way that we actually play the game now is
[25:12] Speaker 7: far from my perspective. Castle, Fox, going to put pressure
[25:20] Speaker 7: on the rim more. Their offense is predicated to flare
[25:23] Speaker 7: screens into pick and rolls. Those flare screens into pick
[25:26] Speaker 7: and rolls are based on trying to create the mismatches,
[25:29] Speaker 7: regardless if it's Coronet or Wimby. And based on that,
[25:32] Speaker 7: Castle is not shooting a high rate of three-point shots.
[25:36] Speaker 7: He is trying to get to the rim. Vassell the
[25:38] Speaker 7: same way. But Vassell can actually shoot the ball. Fox,
[25:42] Speaker 7: where does Fox want to go? He only going to
[25:44] Speaker 7: shoot open threes. He's not going to come down and
[25:47] Speaker 7: try to shoot contested threes. He's trying to get to
[25:48] Speaker 7: the free throw line jump shot. So if we're really
[25:51] Speaker 7: talking the hoop, it's based on not necessarily getting Wimby
[25:55] Speaker 7: in the post, but getting him clean shots. We get
[25:58] Speaker 7: him clean shots. We get Johnson off the bench, him
[26:00] Speaker 7: and Harrison Barnes. Harrison Barnes wasn't hitting shots the last
[26:03] Speaker 7: two games. This is somebody who's going to hit shots.
[26:06] Speaker 7: So I believe that the rate of getting to the
[26:09] Speaker 7: free throw line, putting pressure on teams like Houston, putting
[26:12] Speaker 7: pressure on their back line, making sure they foul, the
[26:15] Speaker 7: more we get to the line, even if we're shooting 70%
[26:18] Speaker 7: from the free throw line, the more shots we shoot
[26:21] Speaker 7: from the free throw line, the more chances we got
[26:23] Speaker 7: to make those shots.
[26:24] Speaker 4: I said throwing in a post because in a playoff,
[26:26] Speaker 4: they strength the paint. And for me, I don't think
[26:29] Speaker 4: right now Castle has the ability to create like that.
[26:34] Speaker 7: One guy. That's one guy. Even with Fox. You don't
[26:37] Speaker 7: play ISO ball when you talk about playoffs. You say, listen,
[26:40] Speaker 7: let's go to the pick and roll.
[26:41] Speaker 2: Let's attack.
[26:42] Speaker 7: Go to the pick and roll. We're not talking about this.
[26:46] Speaker 2: Let's do ISO. You shrink the paint on the pick
[26:49] Speaker 2: and roll. What are we doing? I'm shrinking.
[26:51] Speaker 4: That's why I'm saying it would be better for me
[26:53] Speaker 4: to throw it in the post and let Winby create.
[26:56] Speaker 2: You're still shrinking. You're still shrinking. It's hard.
[27:01] Speaker 7: If you're shrinking in the paint, that means you're doubling.
[27:04] Speaker 2: Right?
[27:05] Speaker 7: So then we got Champagny, we got Vassell on the outside,
[27:08] Speaker 7: and we got wide-open threes now. We're playing a numbers
[27:12] Speaker 7: game at that point. And if you're in the playoffs,
[27:15] Speaker 7: you're going to play a numbers game, you're going to
[27:16] Speaker 7: live by die by that. We're willing to take that chance.
[27:19] Speaker 7: Fuck it.
[27:23] Speaker 1: What is a good three-point percentage for a team? 36%, 37%.
[27:30] Speaker 7: Maybe 35.
[27:32] Speaker 3: I'll say anything over 35 is solid. Over 35 is solid.
[27:38] Speaker 3: Like shooting 50, what, 152?
[27:40] Speaker 7: Yeah, for anything 38, 40 is crazy for a team.
[27:44] Speaker 2: 36? Not that bad. I didn't know 30 was good.
[27:49] Speaker 2: So we asked the chat, what's the Spurs ceiling?
[27:51] Speaker 3: We gave them four options, NBA Finals, Western Conference Finals,
[27:53] Speaker 3: second round or first round exit.
[27:55] Speaker 2: 36% said second round. 31% said Western Conference Finals.
[27:58] Speaker 3: 23% said NBA finals, and 10% said first round exit.
[28:05] Speaker 3: But we will see how this season pans out. Let's
[28:07] Speaker 3: keep this thing moving. Today's show is sponsored by SeatGeek.

[28:21] Speaker 1: you talking about? Huh?
[28:22] Speaker 2: I was in the area.
[28:24] Speaker 1: I had to bring the boy to the dock. What's up, Cash?
[28:28] Speaker 1: What's up, young fella?
[28:34] Speaker 2: He's nervous.
[28:34] Speaker 1: Don't embarrass me. Don't embarrass me, Dad. Yeah, he's strong, though. Yeah,
[28:40] Speaker 1: he's strong, too. Stop him in his tracks. 6'2, and
[28:45] Speaker 1: you came out in the womb, my boy.
[28:47] Speaker 2: All right, young legend.
[28:52] Speaker 1: All right. Not today.
[28:55] Speaker 2: Oh, we see his kryptonite.
[28:58] Speaker 1: All right. Nice, man. All right.
[29:01] Speaker 3: Like I said, today's show sponsored by SeatGeek. Everyone can

[29:36] Speaker 3: things going on with the Rams. Family of Rams players
[29:42] Speaker 3: whipping SUVs around the city, but it's all gravy. Let's
[29:46] Speaker 3: talk a little Western Conference action. So Dylan Brooks nearly
[29:50] Speaker 3: led the Suns to their second straight win over the
[29:52] Speaker 3: Lakers this season after hitting a go-ahead three late in
[29:55] Speaker 3: the fourth quarter, but ended up costing his team the
[29:57] Speaker 3: game after getting in LeBron's face after the shot getting
[30:00] Speaker 3: hit with his second tech and ejected from the game.
[30:03] Speaker 3: Brooks left his son's locker room after the loss, did
[30:05] Speaker 3: not speak to the media, but Wednesday, Brooks spoke for
[30:08] Speaker 3: the first time about the game and going at LeBron James.
[30:12] Speaker 8: I guess he's a social media junkie. He be all
[30:14] Speaker 8: over the socials, so he be seeing, I guess, what
[30:16] Speaker 8: I'm saying. And when I go out there and he thinks,
[30:21] Speaker 8: like I told you, he thinks that people should think.
[30:23] Speaker 2: Away about him and not say nothing about him or, you.
[30:26] Speaker 1: Know, play a certain way. I'm not going to play
[30:28] Speaker 1: that way. So.
[30:31] Speaker 8: He gets in his moves or in his modes or
[30:32] Speaker 8: whatever it is, and I'm all for that.
[30:36] Speaker 1: I wish we let him shoot that shot, and that
[30:38] Speaker 1: shit would have been an air ball.
[30:40] Speaker 3: Wish we let him shoot that shot, that shit would
[30:42] Speaker 3: have been an air ball. That's my nigga LeBron. What
[30:47] Speaker 3: are your thoughts on Dylan Brooks continuing to poke the
[30:49] Speaker 3: bear that is LeBron James? We heard LeBron's vantage point
[30:52] Speaker 3: after the game. Dylan Brooks, like I said, did not
[30:54] Speaker 3: speak to the media after the Suns lost.
[30:57] Speaker 6: I like it because he's playing well. And that's just
[31:00] Speaker 6: who he is, and that's just what he's going to
[31:01] Speaker 6: be about. But he's playing well offensively. He's having a
[31:07] Speaker 6: career high, I think, right, this year?
[31:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, he's having a career high in points and field
[31:10] Speaker 2: goal percentage.
[31:11] Speaker 5: So it's not messing with his mentor, his game, and
[31:13] Speaker 5: this is what he do.
[31:14] Speaker 6: So he's in a situation where he's doing his thing, man.
[31:19] Speaker 6: I'm happy for him. I'm happy for him. I'm a
[31:21] Speaker 6: fan now, actually. I'm a fan of him. I like it.
[31:27] Speaker 2: Me too.
[31:27] Speaker 1: This dude, his comments.
[31:30] Speaker 2: Shug is branching outside of Cleveland. I like it.
[31:33] Speaker 1: I like the band.
[31:34] Speaker 2: He's a LeBron fan. The biggest LeBron fan.
[31:37] Speaker 3: Shug, you were not here on Tuesday when we talked
[31:39] Speaker 3: about this whole situation based on what happened in that
[31:41] Speaker 3: game this past weekend. But when you hear Dylan Brooks
[31:45] Speaker 3: talking like that, you respect it?
[31:51] Speaker 7: Last time we spoke on Dylan Brooks and I was here,
[31:53] Speaker 7: you know, it's competition for me. Be competitive. Go after
[31:59] Speaker 7: the opponent in all ways, shapes, like any way you can.
[32:03] Speaker 7: Try to affect the game. And he seems to be
[32:06] Speaker 7: one of the best at it right now. So you
[32:10] Speaker 7: see how he had the man crashing out.
[32:13] Speaker 3: Numerous crash outs throughout that game. Not typical for LeBron.
[32:17] Speaker 3: Out of character. Very out of character.
[32:19] Speaker 7: Very out of character. And it was exciting to see it.
[32:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, it was enjoyable.
[32:22] Speaker 7: Very exciting. You can only imagine how I would.
[32:25] Speaker 2: Be out there.
[32:27] Speaker 7: It was like that, you know, having the energy like that,
[32:30] Speaker 7: to be able to have the freedom, his team, having
[32:32] Speaker 7: his back to do that. And the coach coming out
[32:35] Speaker 7: publicly saying, no, we got his back. You know, we
[32:37] Speaker 7: want him to be the guy that's agitating and irritating.
[32:43] Speaker 7: And to Gil's point saying that, you know, him being
[32:45] Speaker 7: a number two, being able to actually go out there
[32:48] Speaker 7: and provide points and defense on both sides of the ball.
[32:52] Speaker 7: Even though he was at Oregon, he was always a
[32:54] Speaker 7: guy who could get buckets. In Memphis, he got buckets
[32:58] Speaker 7: before Ja got there.
[32:59] Speaker 2: He played well in Oregon.
[33:00] Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying? So he could hoop, but
[33:03] Speaker 7: it's just like anybody else. When you have to regulate
[33:06] Speaker 7: your spot for another superstar to come in, you got
[33:09] Speaker 7: to step aside and let him shine a little bit more,
[33:11] Speaker 7: take a lesser role, play some defense, you know, be
[33:14] Speaker 7: another side of the ball as far as leadership is concerned.
[33:18] Speaker 7: He went to Houston, seen the opening there with Jalen
[33:22] Speaker 7: Green and those guys, provided leadership. Now he's in Phoenix.
[33:26] Speaker 7: doing the same thing, and I think it shows his maturity,
[33:29] Speaker 7: his growth, and the timing. It's all about timing when
[33:33] Speaker 7: you do the stuff that he's doing. You don't just
[33:35] Speaker 7: go all out and do it every single night to
[33:37] Speaker 7: every single player. It's specific because you're sending a message
[33:40] Speaker 7: to everybody, I'm taking out the king, and once y'all
[33:43] Speaker 7: talk about the king, nobody would dare talk to him
[33:46] Speaker 7: like that. Nobody would dare do anything. Any of the
[33:48] Speaker 7: things that I'm doing, nobody would dare do it. So
[33:50] Speaker 7: for him to do it is showing everybody, like, what
[33:53] Speaker 7: y'all scared of.
[33:55] Speaker 3: It seemed like he was scapegoated with the Grizzlies, obviously,
[33:57] Speaker 3: because this bear poking has been going on for a while. Now,
[34:00] Speaker 3: scapegoated with the Grizzlies after they lost that series, went
[34:02] Speaker 3: to Houston alone with Imei Adoka, helped change the culture
[34:04] Speaker 3: over there.
[34:05] Speaker 2: How long has this been going on for? A few
[34:08] Speaker 2: years now.
[34:09] Speaker 1: Like two years?
[34:10] Speaker 2: Closer to like three or four.
[34:11] Speaker 5: Like a 37-year-old Brown?
[34:13] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[34:14] Speaker 3: 38, 48, 40-year-old Brown. But my point with Brooks, though,
[34:17] Speaker 3: is just, Got scapegoated with the Grizzlies. Went over to
[34:23] Speaker 3: Houston along with Eman Adoka. Helped change the mentality of
[34:25] Speaker 3: the culture over there. Made their first playoff since 2020.
[34:29] Speaker 3: Now come over with the Suns. I think he's trying
[34:32] Speaker 3: to Josh Harden. Better than expected.
[34:34] Speaker 2: He's trying to.
[34:34] Speaker 4: Josh Harden LeBron, I think. Trying to, you know what
[34:38] Speaker 4: I mean? The way he speak about LeBron all the time.
[34:41] Speaker 2: You would call that a Josh Harden type of thing? Yeah,
[34:44] Speaker 2: that's the new thing. He's trying to Josh Harden, but. Yeah, man.
[34:47] Speaker 4: It's like his whole world revolves around this man.
[34:51] Speaker 1: I was about to say that.
[34:52] Speaker 2: Yeah, bro.
[34:53] Speaker 4: I never see it. But that's how some people get famous.
[34:57] Speaker 4: You know what to do.
[34:58] Speaker 2: He's not the only one. At least when.
[35:01] Speaker 4: Ant-Man does it, he does it to everybody.
[35:06] Speaker 1: And he wins.
[35:06] Speaker 4: He made it to the Western Conference Finals. And he
[35:10] Speaker 4: doesn't do it every time you see LeBron. Like, this
[35:12] Speaker 4: guy gets up for LeBron every time he sees him.
[35:16] Speaker 2: He speaks about him. Like, I don't never see. How
[35:19] Speaker 2: many texts he got this year? A lot. He got
[35:22] Speaker 2: a lot. Let me see.
[35:24] Speaker 1: Like, I don't never. The past few years, though.
[35:26] Speaker 2: No.
[35:26] Speaker 4: I'm talking about, like, against LeBron, how many texts he
[35:30] Speaker 4: has or how many texts he has in general this season.
[35:35] Speaker 2: Because he got two the other day, right? Let me see.
[35:39] Speaker 2: Got kicked out. Like, God damn. Like, do we talk
[35:48] Speaker 2: about him in any other way?
[35:50] Speaker 4: Like, every time I talk about him, LeBron name is
[35:54] Speaker 4: tagged to him.
[35:55] Speaker 2: I'm so tired of this shit. When they play each other,
[35:57] Speaker 2: obviously he relishes the competition.
[35:59] Speaker 1: He's hooping now, yeah.
[36:01] Speaker 2: But he's always done this.
[36:03] Speaker 1: He's seeing it. You tired of it, Nick? No, he's
[36:05] Speaker 1: saying something that he's so tired of it, huh?
[36:08] Speaker 2: I've seen it before.
[36:09] Speaker 7: I'm so tired of him, honey. Honey, I'm so tired
[36:14] Speaker 7: of him always going at you.
[36:16] Speaker 4: Like, you get famous for messing with LeBron.
[36:19] Speaker 2: Aww.
[36:20] Speaker 1: Leave him alone, then.
[36:22] Speaker 2: Yeah. Leave him alone.
[36:26] Speaker 1: They get famous, but then they be losing.
[36:29] Speaker 2: No, no. Okay.
[36:31] Speaker 1: What he's saying is this.
[36:33] Speaker 7: Aww.
[36:34] Speaker 1: Outside of LeBron James and when he plays LeBron James,
[36:37] Speaker 1: who is he? Man. Nothing.
[36:40] Speaker 2: No one knows him.
[36:41] Speaker 1: And for someone who's averaging 21 to play to what
[36:45] Speaker 1: he's playing.
[36:46] Speaker 2: But he's a troll across the league.
[36:48] Speaker 1: No one talks about, and this is the bad part
[36:52] Speaker 1: about the personality. When you're playing LeBron James, yeah, we
[36:57] Speaker 1: see all of you.
[36:58] Speaker 2: Okay, okay.
[36:59] Speaker 1: We don't know if you do this against KD because
[37:01] Speaker 1: nobody reports you. We don't know if you do this
[37:03] Speaker 1: against anybody else because no one gives you that microphone
[37:07] Speaker 1: after these games. So we only think about you with
[37:12] Speaker 1: LeBron James. You're playing too well to only be known
[37:19] Speaker 1: against two games this year. He's averaging 21, right? And
[37:22] Speaker 1: the only time we hear him talk? Is LeBron James.
[37:29] Speaker 1: He's too good for that. This is not some defensive
[37:32] Speaker 1: guy whose name is only attached. Like, he don't get
[37:35] Speaker 1: no recognition outside. He made his name in Memphis.
[37:39] Speaker 2: Against who?
[37:41] Speaker 1: Being on that Memphis team. No, that whole team Memphis.
[37:43] Speaker 6: When he was coming down doing all that.
[37:44] Speaker 1: LeBron James.
[37:46] Speaker 6: No, but the stuff that he was doing on the
[37:47] Speaker 6: court outside of LeBron James.
[37:49] Speaker 1: That whole team was rowdy.
[37:51] Speaker 6: Everybody knew about Memphis because of what Dylan Brooks was
[37:53] Speaker 6: doing and what John Alden was doing.
[37:56] Speaker 1: He made his name in Memphis, man. No, man, we
[37:58] Speaker 1: cannot do that. And then he balled out last year.
[38:00] Speaker 1: You didn't see him last year. We did.
[38:02] Speaker 6: He got into it with other people besides LeBron James.
[38:05] Speaker 6: But what I'm saying is his presence is always felt
[38:09] Speaker 6: every year.
[38:10] Speaker 1: For a dude who averages 21.
[38:11] Speaker 2: Damn, bro.
[38:12] Speaker 1: His presence is felt every year. Hold on, what I'm
[38:14] Speaker 1: saying is for a dude who's averaging 21 and.
[38:18] Speaker 2: He plays defense, he's a two-way player. Does he get recognition?
[38:22] Speaker 1: Yes.
[38:23] Speaker 6: Before this LeBron stuff, they've been saying he's been having
[38:26] Speaker 6: a career year.
[38:27] Speaker 5: I mean, I've been seeing it on Instagram. I've been
[38:29] Speaker 5: seeing it on Twitter, everything.
[38:33] Speaker 2: We see the same shit. We all see the same shit.
[38:36] Speaker 1: They're just trying to push LeBron. No, no, no.
[38:41] Speaker 6: When he does get mentioned with LeBron, yes, it is
[38:43] Speaker 6: big news. But what I'm saying is he does do
[38:46] Speaker 6: this to other players. He does be in the news
[38:48] Speaker 6: for other things. I'm not just going to do that
[38:50] Speaker 6: to Dylan Brooks.
[38:51] Speaker 1: I mean, Drake put him in a fucking song. Like,
[38:54] Speaker 1: people hate this guy. For sure.
[38:56] Speaker 5: Huh?
[38:57] Speaker 1: What I'm saying is, what's his biggest game this year?
[39:01] Speaker 1: What's his biggest game this year? LeBron James. No, what
[39:05] Speaker 1: I'm saying is we don't know. That's his biggest game, LeBron.
[39:07] Speaker 1: He can have a career.
[39:08] Speaker 2: We don't know because they don't.
[39:09] Speaker 1: Nobody's watching Phoenix. What's Donovan Mitchell's best game? We don't know.
[39:14] Speaker 7: There's a lot of guys we don't know.
[39:16] Speaker 1: But he's hooping, though. Yeah, so we don't know.
[39:18] Speaker 7: We can't use that against Dylan Brooks because there's a
[39:21] Speaker 7: lot of other guys we don't know either. He's hooping,
[39:24] Speaker 7: and he's going that nigga's favorite player.
[39:27] Speaker 1: That's it. I don't know. What do you think?
[39:29] Speaker 2: I'm saying?
[39:30] Speaker 7: I'm not saying anything about what you're saying. I'm making
[39:32] Speaker 7: a statement. This ain't got nothing to.
[39:34] Speaker 2: Do with you.
[39:36] Speaker 1: I'm saying that I don't care about you going at whoever.
[39:39] Speaker 2: You go at.
[39:40] Speaker 1: I'm saying as media, you're about to play Golden State Warriors.
[39:46] Speaker 1: They want to still talk about LeBron James. The nigga
[39:49] Speaker 1: is beyond. He's better than just LeBron. He's better than
[39:53] Speaker 1: just LeBron James.
[39:54] Speaker 7: That ain't got nothing to do with Dylan Brooks or
[39:55] Speaker 7: what questions they asking him.
[39:57] Speaker 6: But didn't Dylan Brooks have beef with Golden State?
[40:01] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm talking about that. Right, right. So wouldn't they
[40:03] Speaker 1: mention that? Exactly. When they mention that, why are you
[40:07] Speaker 1: talking about LeBron James still? He's bigger. I think.
[40:10] Speaker 5: Oh, that game was after he played against Golden State.
[40:13] Speaker 1: They asked him a question. They asked him a question.
[40:16] Speaker 1: What I'm saying is he is bigger now than just
[40:19] Speaker 1: using him for LeBron James.
[40:21] Speaker 2: He doesn't do that.
[40:22] Speaker 1: Hey, are you about to shut down Jimmy Butler? He's
[40:25] Speaker 1: bigger than just using him for this. They didn't ask
[40:28] Speaker 1: him that question. They didn't ask him that question. Antics
[40:30] Speaker 1: against the Warriors every day.
[40:32] Speaker 3: Yes, but they're in the playoffs though. He was targeting
[40:35] Speaker 3: Steph's though Other guys around the league, but obviously the
[40:39] Speaker 3: bronze such a big name no.
[40:44] Speaker 1: Try to grab somebody like that either I go for
[40:45] Speaker 1: he what I'm saying. I'm a reporter I'm gonna have
[40:49] Speaker 1: more questions about his improvement as a basketball.
[40:53] Speaker 2: Player this year.
[40:54] Speaker 1: I This is your four days removed from LeBron. I
[40:58] Speaker 1: don't give a fuck about that. Hey, yo, you've been
[41:00] Speaker 1: balling this year. You've been playing very well. What did
[41:04] Speaker 1: you do? I want to give you the credit. I'm
[41:06] Speaker 1: not going to ask you about four days ago because
[41:08] Speaker 1: as a writer, I want LeBron James take.
[41:12] Speaker 7: So why did they ask him? Why did they ask him?
[41:15] Speaker 7: They asked him the questions four days later.
[41:17] Speaker 1: But that was his first time speaking since the game.
[41:18] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
[41:19] Speaker 5: That was his first time.
[41:20] Speaker 1: As a media thing, you're only attaching him to that
[41:23] Speaker 1: when his game is better than that now. You don't
[41:26] Speaker 1: need that. He's playing against Steph. Hey, you've been playing
[41:29] Speaker 1: very well. What you did against the playoffs against Steph, boom, boom, boom,
[41:32] Speaker 1: are you ready for this matchup? Like, give him more
[41:35] Speaker 1: shine than this. But he'll be playing in Phoenix. He'll
[41:38] Speaker 1: be playing in New York. He'll be playing in LA.
[41:39] Speaker 1: I'm just saying.
[41:40] Speaker 2: Y'all are so short-minded.
[41:41] Speaker 1: How many times has he played LeBron?
[41:43] Speaker 6: I know, but what I'm saying is he wasn't available
[41:46] Speaker 6: for media.
[41:46] Speaker 1: So they hadn't talked to him.
[41:47] Speaker 2: They hadn't talked to him.
[41:48] Speaker 1: Yes. They hadn't asked him the question. He left. He left.
[41:52] Speaker 1: I know. So now he's available. Now he's available. Four games, right?
[41:57] Speaker 1: He plays LeBron four games. Four games ago. Yeah. No,
[42:00] Speaker 1: just four games in a season. Okay. Is it fair
[42:03] Speaker 1: to just only mention him against him? Yes.
[42:07] Speaker 7: Because LeBron James is LeBron James.
[42:08] Speaker 1: So you shouldn't mention him four games against KD.
[42:10] Speaker 2: It's LeBron James.
[42:10] Speaker 1: You shouldn't mention him four games against Golden State. It's
[42:13] Speaker 1: LeBron James. You shouldn't mention him four games against Ant-Man.
[42:17] Speaker 1: You shouldn't mention him four games.
[42:18] Speaker 7: What's going to get you clicks?
[42:21] Speaker 1: LeBron James. LeBron James.
[42:23] Speaker 7: If I mention LeBron in my questions, I'm going to
[42:26] Speaker 7: get more shit, right? Why would I mention KD? Why
[42:29] Speaker 7: would I mention any of these dudes? I'm going to
[42:31] Speaker 7: get more clicks on the guy I know you hate.
[42:34] Speaker 7: You don't want to play against. You're going to play
[42:36] Speaker 7: hard against. If I ask him this, we're going to
[42:38] Speaker 7: get some clicks.
[42:40] Speaker 2: And that's what I'm saying.
[42:42] Speaker 1: He's only being click baited for this, and his game
[42:46] Speaker 1: is bigger than just this now. He has no control
[42:50] Speaker 1: over that. He should be getting more praise for all
[42:53] Speaker 1: the stops he's going to get.
[42:56] Speaker 2: He's averaging 20.
[42:56] Speaker 1: That means he's done did the offensive things on a
[43:00] Speaker 1: lot of players. So he should be getting exposed for that.
[43:04] Speaker 1: Stop just leaving his man to LeBron James. He's bigger
[43:07] Speaker 1: than LeBron James. I think it's hurting his brain at
[43:10] Speaker 1: this point.
[43:11] Speaker 2: No.
[43:11] Speaker 1: But we give him praise on this couch for what
[43:13] Speaker 1: he's done.
[43:14] Speaker 6: I think somebody has asked him about his year coming
[43:16] Speaker 6: up because he's been averaging 20. So I think they
[43:19] Speaker 6: have been asking him, yo, what have you been doing
[43:21] Speaker 6: this year? Because I'm surprised. No, seriously, I'm surprised about
[43:24] Speaker 6: what he's done. But what I'm saying is I saw
[43:26] Speaker 6: it on social media. They've been talking to Dylan Brooks.
[43:28] Speaker 6: It's been on social media. So this situation with Bron,
[43:31] Speaker 6: they haven't talked to him in four years. I'm asking, hey, man,
[43:33] Speaker 6: what the.
[43:34] Speaker 1: Hell happened with that? Four games.
[43:36] Speaker 2: No, they played the Lakers with their last game.
[43:39] Speaker 6: Okay, and then their next game is the Golden State Warriors. Okay,
[43:42] Speaker 6: so then I'm sure he's going to do something with Draymond.
[43:45] Speaker 1: There's going to be news again. Right, because he's already
[43:49] Speaker 1: had beef with them through Memphis. He's been hating Golden
[43:52] Speaker 1: State since Memphis. All of this, right, that was a
[43:57] Speaker 1: moment in time.
[43:59] Speaker 2: We see you, right? Okay.
[44:01] Speaker 1: Now you have game. You have real basketball game. Right. Right?
[44:06] Speaker 1: You don't need the gimmick anymore. The gimmick is for
[44:09] Speaker 1: people who can't ball.
[44:10] Speaker 2: You can ball now. Right, that's what he's doing.
[44:12] Speaker 1: Right? So, like, me, I'm saying. Bro, you're bigger than
[44:18] Speaker 1: just a LeBron James take for the Clicks interview.
[44:21] Speaker 2: I bet he won't bum, though.
[44:23] Speaker 1: Right? I bet he won't bum. I would have been like, yo, listen.
[44:26] Speaker 1: You see what I did against Boy Boy? What I'm
[44:28] Speaker 1: about to do to light-skinned dude on Thursday? Watch out. Like,
[44:32] Speaker 1: move your brand to stop everybody because you're a two-way player.
[44:36] Speaker 2: Let me give you something.
[44:38] Speaker 1: Okay. What's Dylan Brooks' brand right now?
[44:40] Speaker 5: Being an asshole on the court?
[44:41] Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
[44:42] Speaker 7: Dylan the Villain. Okay.
[44:45] Speaker 1: Yes.
[44:45] Speaker 2: Okay. So he's a villain.
[44:47] Speaker 1: So that means everywhere I go. Everywhere I go. Thank you.
[44:50] Speaker 1: The villain. Right. Who does the villain start with?
[44:55] Speaker 5: The top person?
[44:55] Speaker 1: The top motherfucking boss.
[44:59] Speaker 7: And it trickles down everywhere I go from here. Y'all
[45:02] Speaker 7: know I'm dealing the villain coming in town. Look what
[45:05] Speaker 7: he just did to the boss man. They gonna ask
[45:07] Speaker 7: some questions about, hey, how does it feel about doing
[45:09] Speaker 7: that to the boss man?
[45:10] Speaker 1: Y'all lost the game.
[45:12] Speaker 7: My brand now is identified with being the villain. in
[45:17] Speaker 7: every single storyline. Who we play next?
[45:20] Speaker 1: Who's the boss? Who's the boss? All right.
[45:25] Speaker 7: We're going against the boss, and the boss knows I'm
[45:28] Speaker 7: coming into town. He's preparing for me. Draymond Green, you
[45:32] Speaker 7: got to prepare to protect your boss because I'm coming in.
[45:36] Speaker 1: Now we know this. His brand is being a villain.
[45:39] Speaker 1: That's what we're saying. I shut him down. I'm playing
[45:43] Speaker 1: against him. I'm coming to town. Boom. When I go play, hey, man,
[45:47] Speaker 1: here I come, dealing the villain. My dealing the villain
[45:49] Speaker 1: is only, they only know me now because people want
[45:52] Speaker 1: to keep click baiting. I'm not a click bait no more.
[45:57] Speaker 1: I'm dealing the villain. I already shut him down. I'm
[46:00] Speaker 1: going over there. We're in Golden State right now. What
[46:04] Speaker 1: do you think I'm going to do to him? Shut
[46:05] Speaker 1: him down. Then we're going to go down over here.
[46:07] Speaker 1: I'm going to shut him.
[46:08] Speaker 2: That's dealing the villain. Yeah, but they're going to cover
[46:11] Speaker 2: that if that happens. Yeah.
[46:12] Speaker 1: What do you mean? Every single play he goes. All right.
[46:17] Speaker 1: The 20-45 playoff. All right.
[46:21] Speaker 7: They just being on the other side of him for
[46:23] Speaker 7: no reason. It's like Dylan has literally been promoted around
[46:27] Speaker 7: the league.
[46:27] Speaker 1: Brooke's going at Steph's thumb. Brooke's going at Steph's thumb.
[46:31] Speaker 1: Brooke's not shaking hands after the game. Stop talking about–
[46:35] Speaker 1: how about this season? Tell me five great games. You
[46:40] Speaker 1: act like I'm a Phoenix Unset. Tell me five great games.
[46:42] Speaker 2: God, man. Tell me five.
[46:45] Speaker 1: Tell me three great games.
[46:46] Speaker 2: Tell me five other people.
[46:47] Speaker 1: Just look up this highest scoring game. No, I don't know.
[46:51] Speaker 1: I already did, but I'm going to. No, what I'm
[46:54] Speaker 1: saying is, tell me three games. I'm going to give
[46:58] Speaker 1: you the two Laker games. What is the next great
[47:01] Speaker 1: game that Dylan Brooks has been exposed? You've got to
[47:04] Speaker 1: look at it now. So you're going to just look
[47:06] Speaker 1: at the highest score, but you didn't hear about it. Go.
[47:09] Speaker 1: Tell us what he did. He scored 40 wins. Gil,
[47:11] Speaker 1: tell me what you hear about the Phoenix Suns. What
[47:13] Speaker 1: he scored 40 wins. I don't hear anything about the
[47:15] Speaker 1: Phoenix Suns.
[47:16] Speaker 7: When he played against Houston and Eamon Thompson was sitting
[47:18] Speaker 7: there telling Dylan Brooks, I know your antics, bro.
[47:21] Speaker 1: You my bro.
[47:22] Speaker 7: We know Dylan's going to come in here and do
[47:24] Speaker 7: this stuff. Try to promote KD.
[47:27] Speaker 1: Go it out. He used to play here. So we
[47:30] Speaker 1: know you, bro.
[47:31] Speaker 7: So they was trying to adapt to knowing that he's
[47:33] Speaker 7: going to come in here with the bullshit.
[47:35] Speaker 1: That was Houston.
[47:37] Speaker 2: Houston said that before the game? After the game. After
[47:42] Speaker 2: the game.
[47:43] Speaker 6: I think it's just more surprising that he's having like
[47:46] Speaker 6: this year.
[47:46] Speaker 1: So it's not like his points is.
[47:48] Speaker 3: Not going to get talked about a lot because he's
[47:50] Speaker 3: known as a defender.
[47:51] Speaker 1: But we've talked about it on the show. We've given
[47:52] Speaker 1: him love. I know, but I'm just saying. We've given
[47:54] Speaker 1: him love because he played who? The same reason we
[47:58] Speaker 1: give a lot of people love, sir. Who did he play?
[48:00] Speaker 1: LeBron James? And we're like, God damn that motherfucker scoring.
[48:03] Speaker 2: Is that the only reason we talked about him?
[48:05] Speaker 1: The same reason we give a lot of people love.
[48:07] Speaker 1: Give me the third game that we know he played well,
[48:10] Speaker 1: but he's averaging 21. That's my thing. I'm saying he
[48:14] Speaker 1: should get more credit. Are you not listening to what
[48:17] Speaker 1: I'm saying?
[48:18] Speaker 5: He's having an air and a follow.
[48:19] Speaker 1: Get more credit for your two. We're doing it on
[48:22] Speaker 1: the court. For sure. That's why I publicly said, hey, look,
[48:26] Speaker 1: this man has been working in the summer because I
[48:28] Speaker 1: can see the improvement. He should be getting credited for
[48:31] Speaker 1: his improvement. And we are doing that here on Gills
[48:34] Speaker 1: Arena presented by Underdog.
[48:35] Speaker 2: Woo-woo.
[48:35] Speaker 1: Woo-woo.
[48:37] Speaker 2: Thank you, Chuck.
[48:38] Speaker 3: Always being on time. Appreciate you. Well, let's shift over
[48:41] Speaker 3: to the Lakers side of things. It's one of the
[48:43] Speaker 3: biggest issues for the Lakers. What was his career high
[48:47] Speaker 3: this year? 34, I believe, against the Hawks.
[48:48] Speaker 1: Draymond go against everybody. And 33 against the Lakers.
[48:51] Speaker 4: Draymond go against everybody. He don't got one specific person
[48:56] Speaker 4: he's just tied to.
[48:57] Speaker 2: That's great, Nick. That's great.
[49:01] Speaker 7: That's great, Nick.
[49:02] Speaker 2: I'm just saying.
[49:03] Speaker 1: It's a great take, Nick. It is.
[49:05] Speaker 2: It's a great fucking take. You just hate Brian that much.
[49:08] Speaker 2: I get it.
[49:09] Speaker 3: One of the biggest issues with the Baker season have
[49:12] Speaker 3: been their struggles on the defensive end. Team is currently
[49:15] Speaker 3: 20th in defensive rating, 23rd in opponents' fast break points allowed,
[49:18] Speaker 3: 24th in fielding. goal percentage allowed, and 28th in opponents'
[49:22] Speaker 3: three-point percentage. So on Wednesday, Luka talked about a recent
[49:25] Speaker 3: meeting him and LeBron had with J.J. Redick in which
[49:27] Speaker 3: the Lakers head coach asked his two stars for more
[49:30] Speaker 3: on the defensive end.
[49:31] Speaker 9: We talked about a lot, not just that, but he
[49:35] Speaker 9: was right, you know, you got to get a little
[49:36] Speaker 9: bit more.
[49:37] Speaker 2: Especially from the star players.
[49:39] Speaker 9: So that's on us, that's on me, and we just
[49:42] Speaker 9: got to give more pressure to start the game.
[49:44] Speaker 2: We got to start the game better.
[49:45] Speaker 1: But I think in Utah, not Utah, in Phoenix, we
[49:48] Speaker 1: did a pretty good job.
[49:49] Speaker 9: You know, the plan was focused on ourselves and defensive mentality,
[49:54] Speaker 9: so I think we.
[49:55] Speaker 2: Did a pretty good job there.
[49:57] Speaker 3: So you respect Luka for taking some accountability for the Lakers'
[50:00] Speaker 3: struggles on the defensive end?
[50:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, because the start's with him. You said he talked
[50:04] Speaker 1: to who?
[50:05] Speaker 3: JJ Redick had a meeting with LeBron and Luka. demanded
[50:08] Speaker 3: more from the two stars on the defensive end. Luka
[50:11] Speaker 3: was asked about it on Wednesday.
[50:14] Speaker 2: We suck.
[50:16] Speaker 1: It's over. What's over, Gil?
[50:19] Speaker 2: Double Lakers.
[50:20] Speaker 1: Why is it over? Like Sugar Ray said, when it's over,
[50:22] Speaker 1: that's the time I fall in love again, sir. Why
[50:25] Speaker 1: is it over?
[50:27] Speaker 2: Because I mean, it does.
[50:28] Speaker 1: I mean, defense does start with your point. It's over, dog.
[50:32] Speaker 5: So it starts with the man at top.
[50:33] Speaker 1: All right. Laker Championship 2027. Yeah, yeah, postpone the 2026
[50:38] Speaker 1: Lakers championship. Damn. The parade route already figured out. This
[50:42] Speaker 1: man had a.
[50:43] Speaker 7: Meeting with a 41-year-old.
[50:48] Speaker 1: To say separate on the defense. Not the guys who
[50:52] Speaker 1: actually need to play deep. Not Luka, AR, and them.
[50:55] Speaker 1: You're saying step it up my 41-year-old. My 41-year-old need
[51:00] Speaker 1: to step it up on defense. And my 26-year-old. That's
[51:03] Speaker 1: like Dallas talking about dirt. We need you to play
[51:06] Speaker 1: some defense. What? He ain't old. He's so old. Yo, Austin. Defense.
[51:14] Speaker 1: I mean, you're out there. I mean, you're out there. Jake,
[51:19] Speaker 1: play some better defense because you can't guard nobody. Luka,
[51:24] Speaker 1: play some better defense. The fact that LeBron is even
[51:28] Speaker 1: in this conversation before the other ones. A.N., protect the rim.
[51:33] Speaker 1: Play some defense. But I'm sure it was a team-wide thing.
[51:36] Speaker 1: He said two people. So the fact that the 41-year-old
[51:40] Speaker 1: has to step it up on defense. He out there.
[51:43] Speaker 2: We lost.
[51:43] Speaker 1: We done. Cut it up.
[51:45] Speaker 2: How much money is LeBron making?
[51:46] Speaker 1: Cut it up. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
[51:57] Speaker 1: How much is he making again? $ 52 million. $ 52 million.
[52:01] Speaker 2: The NBA selection last season.
[52:04] Speaker 7: A nigga that made $ 52 million.
[52:08] Speaker 1: Get back.
[52:08] Speaker 7: But because he's 41, he don't have to play no defense.
[52:13] Speaker 7: But you can get paid your check. $ 52 million?
[52:18] Speaker 1: No, no, no. We can't even tell you the... Give
[52:21] Speaker 1: us some effort. No, no, no. That's insane.
[52:25] Speaker 7: But I thought it was a chain reaction on defense.
[52:27] Speaker 7: It's five players, and if all five of us are
[52:30] Speaker 7: not playing defense, we're going to break down.
[52:32] Speaker 1: We're going to lose at some point.
[52:34] Speaker 7: I think JJ's getting kind of fucking fed up with
[52:36] Speaker 7: the breakdown at some point. It's three guys that don't
[52:39] Speaker 7: play no defense. At least one of y'all motherfuckers is
[52:42] Speaker 7: stepping up. So we're going to have a conversation about
[52:45] Speaker 7: one of y'all stepping it up.
[52:46] Speaker 2: Who's the three guys? You said three guys. Who's the three? A.R. Ah.
[52:53] Speaker 1: Luca. Okay. Yeah. I'm just asking.
[52:56] Speaker 2: I'm asking.
[52:57] Speaker 1: I mean, that is your big three.
[52:58] Speaker 7: That's a rhetorical question, if he knows what that means.
[53:01] Speaker 7: It's a rhetorical question. He knew the answer to that.
[53:03] Speaker 1: Yeah. I just wanted you to say it since you
[53:05] Speaker 1: used three. So if I'm going to have a meeting
[53:08] Speaker 1: about defense, it starts with the people who actually supposed
[53:14] Speaker 1: to be young enough to put somebody– and stop somebody,
[53:18] Speaker 1: which is my guards first. My guards first can't keep
[53:22] Speaker 1: guards in front of them. It starts with them. My
[53:25] Speaker 1: big man can't protect the basket. So the fact that
[53:28] Speaker 1: you're relying on LeBron James to step his defense up
[53:33] Speaker 1: when we have at least three real liabilities first, it
[53:37] Speaker 1: shows we have a real problem with accountability. I'm glad
[53:40] Speaker 1: Luka's taking accountability for his problem, but I've never seen
[53:45] Speaker 1: so far this season where an offense is literally targeting
[53:49] Speaker 1: LeBron James. We played the Spurs. We played the Spurs.
[53:54] Speaker 1: Them boys barbecue they are. Pick and roll, pull them out,
[53:58] Speaker 1: let's rock. Pull them in, pull them out, let's rock.
[54:01] Speaker 2: They kept going back and forth to him.
[54:03] Speaker 1: So the fact that you are being targeted and you're
[54:06] Speaker 1: not even in the meeting of defense lets me know
[54:11] Speaker 1: where we are mentally. It needs to start with the
[54:15] Speaker 1: people who can actually do something. My two guards, y'all
[54:19] Speaker 1: supposed to stop guards from coming in here. Hey, we
[54:24] Speaker 1: have Bigfella. Keep people out of this lane. When Golden
[54:29] Speaker 1: State has a meeting about defense, do you think Steph
[54:32] Speaker 1: fucking is in it? No. Do you think Steph Curry? Oh,
[54:36] Speaker 1: I'm going to have a meeting with Steph Curry and Draymond. What?
[54:40] Speaker 3: That meeting is going to start with who? Top player, man.
[54:44] Speaker 3: It starts at the top. Leadership starts at the top.
[54:47] Speaker 1: Who was in there? Clay Iguodala and Draymond Green. I
[54:51] Speaker 1: hope Steph is there. No, no, no. Because the protection,
[54:54] Speaker 1: we already know who he is. We're going to come
[54:55] Speaker 1: to you last. Because, hey, we need you to stay
[54:59] Speaker 1: in front of your guy. But the meeting is about
[55:01] Speaker 1: our defense as a team, and you're going to Steph
[55:03] Speaker 1: to have the conversation about defense of the team. No,
[55:07] Speaker 1: that goes to the strengths of the team defensively. The
[55:10] Speaker 1: strengths of the team. Who is being targeted first?
[55:13] Speaker 2: Luka.
[55:13] Speaker 1: Who is being targeted second? AR. So shouldn't they be
[55:17] Speaker 1: the first ones in there? That's what I'm saying.
[55:19] Speaker 2: The fact that LeBron is in.
[55:20] Speaker 1: There at 41, I'm good. We're not just going around
[55:22] Speaker 1: LeBron James. We're not just going around LeBron. He is
[55:25] Speaker 1: getting paid $ 52 million. He is the top guy on
[55:26] Speaker 1: the team.
[55:26] Speaker 2: He's supposed to be the greatest of all time. He's
[55:38] Speaker 2: also four years old.
[55:39] Speaker 7: I don't give a fuck how old he is. You're
[55:42] Speaker 7: on the fucking court. You're supposed to be playing fucking defense.
[55:46] Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck how y'all try to put it.
[55:48] Speaker 4: We're talking about the future of basketball here.
[55:51] Speaker 2: We're talking about.
[55:53] Speaker 1: What kind of... J.J.
[55:54] Speaker 7: Riddick can't have a conversation with LeBron first? Why not?
[55:58] Speaker 1: You're LeBron James.
[56:01] Speaker 7: Bron, if we, as a coach, you go from the
[56:04] Speaker 7: top and you say, I got to go after my
[56:06] Speaker 7: best player, my top player.
[56:08] Speaker 1: So it trickles down. Is this LeBron's team, though, sir,
[56:10] Speaker 1: in your opinion? Listen, it's always going to be LeBron's team.
[56:13] Speaker 1: It's always going to be LeBron's team. It's always going
[56:16] Speaker 1: to be LeBron's team.
[56:16] Speaker 2: Yes.
[56:17] Speaker 7: If it's Greg Popovich, Greg Popovich goes after Tim Duncan.
[56:21] Speaker 7: He's holding Tim Duncan accountable so he can hold everybody
[56:24] Speaker 7: else accountable. The same way you've got to meet with
[56:27] Speaker 7: LeBron first and say, look, Bron, I need you to
[56:29] Speaker 7: be the example of stepping it up on the defensive
[56:31] Speaker 7: end so.
[56:32] Speaker 1: Everybody else can. Period. That's how it goes. That's one
[56:37] Speaker 1: on one.
[56:38] Speaker 7: That's I got to go get my best player and
[56:40] Speaker 7: get him to buy into what we want. Then it
[56:42] Speaker 7: goes to Luca. Hey, Luca, bro, we can't have this.
[56:46] Speaker 7: Look at all these breakdowns.
[56:47] Speaker 2: A.R.
[56:47] Speaker 7: Now, listen, you ain't even got your money yet, bro.
[56:49] Speaker 7: You need to do this type of shit, too.
[56:51] Speaker 1: Bron, tell him. Von, tell him.
[56:55] Speaker 7: Yeah, guys, let's do it, man. It's my fault. I
[56:57] Speaker 7: should have been doing it.
[56:58] Speaker 1: You ever see nobody targeting Von? He's 41. He ain't
[57:02] Speaker 1: got targeting at 41.
[57:04] Speaker 5: Did they talk about Mike like this when he was
[57:05] Speaker 5: playing with the Wizards? It wasn't playing defense?
[57:07] Speaker 1: No.
[57:07] Speaker 2: No, Brandon. It was a much different time.
[57:09] Speaker 1: No, no, I'm just asking.
[57:10] Speaker 2: It was a much different time.
[57:11] Speaker 1: No, no.
[57:12] Speaker 2: Not even Kobe. It was last year.
[57:16] Speaker 1: I just, I just, it just looks bad. You said
[57:17] Speaker 1: not even Kobe? What I'm saying is it looks bad
[57:19] Speaker 1: by the two people.
[57:20] Speaker 2: If he said these.
[57:22] Speaker 1: Four, then yeah. But I'm like, wait, hold on. Our
[57:27] Speaker 1: ranking in defense, LeBron would be on the starting line,
[57:31] Speaker 1: he would be ranked four.
[57:35] Speaker 2: He would be ranked four as the fourth worst.
[57:37] Speaker 1: He's going to be Luka, A.R., A.N., LeBron, then Rui
[57:42] Speaker 1: is probably, he contains his guy. He doesn't get beat
[57:45] Speaker 1: off the dribble. Just like LeBron don't get beat off
[57:47] Speaker 1: the dribble. The three people that really need to step
[57:51] Speaker 1: your defense up is the people that I just named first.
[57:55] Speaker 1: So the fact that LeBron is in and not A.R.,
[57:59] Speaker 1: That's a problem.
[58:01] Speaker 2: Do they have percentages?
[58:03] Speaker 5: Who's the worst defender in the starting five?
[58:06] Speaker 1: Maybe because he can talk to LeBron.
[58:10] Speaker 2: Can we start that?
[58:12] Speaker 1: They have it.
[58:12] Speaker 2: What combos work the best and all that stuff.
[58:14] Speaker 5: You rank the worst person in the starting five. You
[58:18] Speaker 5: know how you can tell who's the best player, the
[58:20] Speaker 5: highest scorer. We need a ranking on who's the worst
[58:23] Speaker 5: defender in the starting five.
[58:26] Speaker 1: So we know.
[58:26] Speaker 2: You can see that.
[58:27] Speaker 5: I'm just saying, like, for, like, but it needs to
[58:30] Speaker 5: be known.
[58:31] Speaker 1: Like, because we can say it's known. Defensive PR?
[58:34] Speaker 2: No.
[58:35] Speaker 1: I know, but do they have that? I mean, I've
[58:37] Speaker 1: never seen that.
[58:37] Speaker 5: Like, I mean, I've never seen, like, some, you know, like,
[58:40] Speaker 5: before the game, like, yo, this is the worst defender
[58:42] Speaker 5: in the starting five.
[58:43] Speaker 1: And it just shows you. They'll tell you what their
[58:45] Speaker 1: points are, who the best player is, right?
[58:46] Speaker 7: I think that if we're watching hoop and we're talking hoop,
[58:49] Speaker 7: we can tell.
[58:50] Speaker 1: Then if you was talking Hoop, then you wouldn't be
[58:52] Speaker 1: pinching LeBron James.
[58:53] Speaker 7: You watch the Lakers play, you see, like.
[58:56] Speaker 2: Is that soft?
[58:56] Speaker 1: Is that soft?
[58:58] Speaker 5: I understand, but it needs to be... You know what
[59:00] Speaker 5: I'm saying? It needs to be like a.
[59:02] Speaker 7: Like, JJ, listen to what I said with holding them
[59:05] Speaker 7: niggas accountable publicly.
[59:07] Speaker 1: He ended up going privately, like.
[59:09] Speaker 2: he said.
[59:11] Speaker 1: JJ, hold them accountable, bro. What are you doing?
[59:13] Speaker 7: All right, now let's have a meeting. All of a sudden,
[59:15] Speaker 7: they had a meeting after I said that. JJ has
[59:18] Speaker 7: a fucking meeting with them like, look, can we play
[59:20] Speaker 7: some defense? Can we play some defense a little bit?
[59:25] Speaker 7: Luka comes out.
[59:25] Speaker 1: We had a meeting.
[59:26] Speaker 7: We're going to have to play some defense because it
[59:28] Speaker 7: looks so bad. It ain't just me seeing it. Social
[59:31] Speaker 7: media pointed it out, pulled up the tape. It's like,
[59:34] Speaker 7: look at these defensive blow-bys. Look at how they targeted AR.
[59:38] Speaker 7: Luka's not giving no effort. Nobody's sprinting back on defense.
[59:41] Speaker 7: These are just basketball enthusiasts. You're watching it. We're like, yo,
[59:45] Speaker 7: they are so bad defensively. They could be such a
[59:48] Speaker 7: better team if they had accountability collectively. It starts with
[59:53] Speaker 7: the top. It starts with LeBron. No, it starts with Luka.
[59:58] Speaker 1: No, it don't. No, it don't. $ 52 million. $ 52 million. 52.
[1:00:07] Speaker 1: What about Luka? Luka is a cat. He's totally not
[1:00:10] Speaker 1: a cat. He was in the media. I don't want
[1:00:12] Speaker 1: to talk hoops. It starts with him, right?
[1:00:14] Speaker 7: No, it don't start with him.
[1:00:15] Speaker 1: It starts with Luka. With the greatest of all time.
[1:00:17] Speaker 1: Do you want to talk hoops? Are you greatest of
[1:00:19] Speaker 1: all time? Do you want to talk hoops or do
[1:00:20] Speaker 1: you want to talk parents? Don't defense always start with
[1:00:23] Speaker 1: the point guard, right? The point, right? I'm starting it off.
[1:00:26] Speaker 1: If I'm just letting this guy come down every day
[1:00:28] Speaker 1: and just do whatever he wants. The point of attack defender, right?
[1:00:30] Speaker 1: Who's the leader?
[1:00:32] Speaker 2: Luka.
[1:00:32] Speaker 1: Luka, right?
[1:00:34] Speaker 7: This is Lucas Tate. Bro, I didn't ask whose team
[1:00:37] Speaker 7: it was.
[1:00:38] Speaker 1: I said who's the leader.
[1:00:40] Speaker 2: Who's the leader?
[1:00:42] Speaker 7: Nobody knows. Now we just got amnesia. Y'all niggas are
[1:00:45] Speaker 7: something else.
[1:00:46] Speaker 1: Y'all are something else. When has LeBron not.
[1:00:49] Speaker 7: Been the leader on any team he's never been on?
[1:00:51] Speaker 2: LeBron is giving the keys.
[1:00:52] Speaker 1: What are you talking about? Why are y'all acting like this?
[1:00:55] Speaker 1: Did he get the keys up? Why are y'all acting
[1:00:57] Speaker 1: like this? Did he get the keys up? Did he
[1:00:59] Speaker 1: get the keys up? Did he get the keys up?
[1:01:01] Speaker 1: Did he get the keys up? Luka is driving the car.
[1:01:03] Speaker 1: He's a leader.
[1:01:04] Speaker 2: I thought we was talking hoops.
[1:01:06] Speaker 1: What are we talking about?
[1:01:08] Speaker 7: Y'all can't gaslight me, man. People are watching, man. We
[1:01:13] Speaker 7: watch the game. You can protect LeBron all you want.
[1:01:18] Speaker 1: It's obvious.
[1:01:19] Speaker 6: But why does it start with him and he's not
[1:01:22] Speaker 6: the guy?
[1:01:22] Speaker 1: He's the greatest of all time. He's not the guy
[1:01:24] Speaker 1: on the team. Yes, he is. He's getting paid $ 52 million.
[1:01:28] Speaker 1: Luka is the guy. It starts with Luka. It doesn't
[1:01:31] Speaker 1: start with the second guy. Bro, why y'all arguing with me?
[1:01:35] Speaker 1: I'm delusional. Don't argue with me.
[1:01:37] Speaker 7: All right, my bad.
[1:01:38] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ.
[1:01:39] Speaker 7: And you're sitting in my seat over here feeling delusional.
[1:01:42] Speaker 1: Where's your prop, nigga? Put your prop out. I can
[1:01:45] Speaker 1: say anything about LeBron. I can say anything about LeBron.
[1:01:48] Speaker 1: I'm just saying, if the fact that you're relying on
[1:01:52] Speaker 1: a 41-year-old lets me know where you're feeling.
[1:01:55] Speaker 2: I feel you. For real.
[1:01:58] Speaker 1: If Dallas, when Dirk last year, and they're relying on
[1:02:02] Speaker 1: Dirk to play defense, then something's wrong with you.
[1:02:04] Speaker 2: Something's wrong with you. He can barely get up in depth.
[1:02:06] Speaker 1: Right, there's something wrong with you. The fact that you're
[1:02:08] Speaker 1: trying to hold a 41-0 to a standard.
[1:02:12] Speaker 2: That's his book, though.
[1:02:12] Speaker 1: A standard because his name is LeBron James. A standard.
[1:02:17] Speaker 1: You think Michael Jordan was being held to a standard
[1:02:20] Speaker 1: of stopping people or was that for everybody else on
[1:02:24] Speaker 1: the team? You do what you do. The rest of
[1:02:28] Speaker 1: these guys will help you out and be your net guy.
[1:02:34] Speaker 1: Right now, our weakest link is Luka defensively, meaning what
[1:02:40] Speaker 1: Dallas did when they pretended he was playing better defense
[1:02:43] Speaker 1: against the Clippers. Hey, build a wall around him because
[1:02:47] Speaker 1: we know his attributes defensively is not very well. So
[1:02:51] Speaker 1: we're going to preload up. We're going to make everybody
[1:02:54] Speaker 1: skip the ball back and forth. No straight line drives
[1:02:57] Speaker 1: and all of that. It's a team defense when you
[1:03:00] Speaker 1: have a big liability like that. That's like the reason
[1:03:04] Speaker 1: you couldn't take advantage of Steph, who couldn't play defense.
[1:03:07] Speaker 1: He was too small. Because the meetings with everybody else is...
[1:03:12] Speaker 1: This is what we're going to do. Steph, make sure
[1:03:14] Speaker 1: he dribbles one or two times. Other than that, everybody
[1:03:17] Speaker 1: else got him. Don't bail him out. So you couldn't
[1:03:19] Speaker 1: take advantage of Steph because the rest of the team
[1:03:22] Speaker 1: understood the assignment.
[1:03:24] Speaker 2: Period.
[1:03:25] Speaker 1: That makes sense, right?
[1:03:25] Speaker 7: Because if you're trying to protect Luka and then you
[1:03:28] Speaker 7: got AR and LeBron not playing defense, it means you
[1:03:32] Speaker 7: have to have the conversation with the other two guys, right?
[1:03:35] Speaker 7: Because we need to protect the one guy, right? It
[1:03:39] Speaker 7: makes sense, right? Is the guy Luka?
[1:03:41] Speaker 1: Is the guy Luka?
[1:03:42] Speaker 2: We asked the chat, who is the guy?
[1:03:43] Speaker 1: The other two.
[1:03:44] Speaker 2: Gave him brown on Luka, 69% said Luka.
[1:03:46] Speaker 7: So if Luka's the guy we need to protect, we
[1:03:49] Speaker 7: can't have the other two guys not playing defense.
[1:03:52] Speaker 2: The other two?
[1:03:53] Speaker 1: The other two. Can you read the names again who
[1:03:56] Speaker 1: the meeting was with?
[1:03:57] Speaker 2: Who the meeting was with? No, no.
[1:03:59] Speaker 1: He said he met up with. I'm reading the quote.
[1:04:02] Speaker 1: I just want to read the quote. Hey, Joe. Joe,
[1:04:05] Speaker 1: this is insane. What he's doing to you is insane, bro.
[1:04:08] Speaker 1: He went. Please.
[1:04:09] Speaker 2: Other two.
[1:04:10] Speaker 1: Full circle.
[1:04:10] Speaker 2: Full circle. Two what?
[1:04:11] Speaker 1: Two Lakers. You bored? You bored? Is the glass. Hold on.
[1:04:15] Speaker 1: What is it? Two Lakers stars, right?
[1:04:22] Speaker 2: It would be Luka and LeBron, Raymond, James Sr.
[1:04:26] Speaker 7: So he met with Luka and only LeBron, them two.
[1:04:30] Speaker 3: I'm sure other people were met with, but he sought
[1:04:32] Speaker 3: those two out to tell them they needed to improve.
[1:04:34] Speaker 2: Their defensive effort. Now they are.
[1:04:37] Speaker 1: Those were the two that were referred to.
[1:04:38] Speaker 2: I heard A.R. name like ten times. I heard three.
[1:04:42] Speaker 1: I kept seeing three, but I only heard two. LeBron James.
[1:04:46] Speaker 1: Go get the twitch. LeBron James. LeBron James. Boy, that
[1:04:51] Speaker 1: LeBron James hit that bird. Boy, he started getting the twerking. Hey, Joe.
[1:04:57] Speaker 1: You see this shit?
[1:04:59] Speaker 2: I'm really here to help.
[1:05:00] Speaker 1: That was too clean, bro. Dylan Brooks, he's jumping out
[1:05:03] Speaker 1: the window. This was jumping out the window, bro. Protect
[1:05:07] Speaker 1: the man at all costs. Protect him at all costs, huh?
[1:05:10] Speaker 1: What did LeBron James do to you?
[1:05:13] Speaker 2: That's how you turn the tables, huh?
[1:05:15] Speaker 1: Man, that was crazy. That was smart. Hey, Nick.
[1:05:17] Speaker 2: That 38 a game killing him over there.
[1:05:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, y'all good. Let's talk about LeBron again, please. Let's
[1:05:25] Speaker 1: move on.
[1:05:26] Speaker 2: LeBron James again.
[1:05:27] Speaker 1: No, no, I just really want to see what happens.
[1:05:28] Speaker 2: Let's move on.
[1:05:29] Speaker 1: Y'all can't protect him too long, man. It'll be obvious.
[1:05:32] Speaker 1: Let's stay at this. Don't you dare do it. We
[1:05:36] Speaker 1: will move on from the Lakers.
[1:05:37] Speaker 3: We will talk about the Clippers and situations going on
[1:05:39] Speaker 3: over there. So it's been two weeks since the Clippers
[1:05:43] Speaker 3: gave Chris Paul an unceremonious exit 16 games into his
[1:05:46] Speaker 3: retirement tour. According to a report from Jake Fisher, the
[1:05:49] Speaker 3: Clippers do want to do right by their franchise legend,
[1:05:51] Speaker 3: help him relocate via trade to finish out his 21st
[1:05:54] Speaker 3: and final season in the league. The Lakers can't just
[1:05:56] Speaker 3: cut CP3, though, because they don't have enough cap space
[1:05:59] Speaker 3: to add a free agent to the roster. In an
[1:06:02] Speaker 3: interview with People Magazine, Paul had this to say about
[1:06:05] Speaker 3: how his situation ended with the Clippers. He said, I'm
[1:06:07] Speaker 3: actually at peace with everything. More than anything, I'm excited
[1:06:09] Speaker 3: about being around and getting a chance to play a
[1:06:11] Speaker 3: small role in whatever anything looks like next. So when
[1:06:15] Speaker 3: you guys hear that, what are your thoughts on the
[1:06:16] Speaker 3: Clippers saying they want to do right by Chris Paul,
[1:06:19] Speaker 3: considering everything that's happened leading up to this saying that
[1:06:22] Speaker 3: they want to do right.
[1:06:23] Speaker 2: By Chris Paul?
[1:06:24] Speaker 5: They got to do something, right? It's a black cloud
[1:06:26] Speaker 5: over that team.
[1:06:27] Speaker 1: So.
[1:06:29] Speaker 6: I mean, he's on a contract. You can't get rid
[1:06:30] Speaker 6: of him. So you might as well just try to
[1:06:31] Speaker 6: do something right, right, at the.
[1:06:33] Speaker 2: End of the day.
[1:06:33] Speaker 5: I mean, Flipper's been having a bad name for, like,
[1:06:36] Speaker 5: years now. So, you know, might as well just try
[1:06:40] Speaker 5: to do something, something right.
[1:06:45] Speaker 3: What's their record been since Chris? I believe one and
[1:06:48] Speaker 3: four since Chris Paul's left. They've lost one and nine
[1:06:51] Speaker 3: in the last eight games, one and four since the
[1:06:53] Speaker 3: CP3 breakup, if I'm not mistaken.
[1:06:57] Speaker 7: Interesting. to say the least.
[1:07:04] Speaker 3: What are your thoughts on the Clippers saying they want
[1:07:06] Speaker 3: to do right by Chris Paul?
[1:07:10] Speaker 1: I don't know what that means. What is it?
[1:07:15] Speaker 2: I hear the words.
[1:07:18] Speaker 1: You want to do right by him, and by him
[1:07:23] Speaker 1: was him finishing his season. like a true Hall of
[1:07:30] Speaker 1: Fame player. So you stop that. You can't cut him.
[1:07:41] Speaker 2: So that means you just told him to stay home,
[1:07:43] Speaker 2: in a sense. Just stay home.
[1:07:44] Speaker 1: We don't want you around here. And... Told.
[1:07:48] Speaker 2: Him to Zoom. Told him to Zoom. Zoom call him
[1:07:58] Speaker 2: through the remote. Work remotely.
[1:08:02] Speaker 1: Send in your hours. You're saying anything that makes sense
[1:08:08] Speaker 1: to the world, but in reality, you're telling the man
[1:08:12] Speaker 1: to stay home so he's not around the team, and
[1:08:14] Speaker 1: then you will find a trade for him.
[1:08:17] Speaker 2: You're going to stream the practices.
[1:08:20] Speaker 1: Who's going to trade for him?
[1:08:23] Speaker 2: You don't get a comment.
[1:08:24] Speaker 1: What is it?
[1:08:27] Speaker 3: Well, there are some teams that need a point guard
[1:08:30] Speaker 3: that can use his veteran leadership, like we talked about
[1:08:33] Speaker 3: when this thing first went down. Younger teams, probably. A
[1:08:36] Speaker 3: Clippers team full of veterans. Not trying to hear that shit.
[1:08:40] Speaker 3: I don't.
[1:08:42] Speaker 5: I mean, they said he was trying.
[1:08:44] Speaker 1: Because now he says, I would take a small role.
[1:08:47] Speaker 1: Because I'm pretty sure now he wants to finish his
[1:08:49] Speaker 1: career and finish his... I bet. Does he deserve future
[1:08:50] Speaker 3: I mean his life in will be Houston, okay, see
[1:08:51] Speaker 3: but no you can't you can't finish your career in Houston.
[1:08:52] Speaker 1: Hall of Famer?
[1:08:52] Speaker 2: I bet. He started looking around.
[1:08:53] Speaker 1: You didn't that's not your city. They need a point
[1:08:54] Speaker 5: He was throwing Halloween parties.
[1:08:55] Speaker 1: guard I'm talking.
[1:08:56] Speaker 1: Ain't nobody coming. We will get to that in a second.
[1:08:56] Speaker 3: About the reason he came back here is to be
[1:08:58] Speaker 3: with his family and.
[1:08:58] Speaker 1: New Orleans. New Orleans.
[1:09:17] Speaker 1: He can see his kids every day, grow up, play
[1:09:19] Speaker 1: high school basketball.
[1:09:20] Speaker 3: And then shit hit the fan, and he said, look,
[1:09:22] Speaker 3: I just want to finish my career off somewhere.
[1:09:25] Speaker 1: I mean, the Pelicans is the only team he can
[1:09:28] Speaker 1: really go to where his career was built.
[1:09:32] Speaker 2: Right? I mean, Spurs, Pelicans, Rockets, Thunder. Spurs, he played
[1:09:35] Speaker 2: there for a year. That's not his career, man.
[1:09:37] Speaker 1: Whatever. He was at the NBA Cup, dapping up Wimby.
[1:09:39] Speaker 2: Okay, let's try it again.
[1:09:40] Speaker 1: Zachary Blue. His career that he stayed, that he has
[1:09:44] Speaker 1: a fan base, is....
[1:09:47] Speaker 2: Clippers, New Orleans. A little bit of OKC.
[1:09:50] Speaker 1: Why don't you go back to New Orleans?
[1:09:51] Speaker 2: As I said, it's the only place that makes sense.
[1:09:54] Speaker 1: Suns?
[1:09:54] Speaker 2: I mean, he got to the final there. Oh, yeah, yeah, Suns.
[1:09:57] Speaker 1: You got to throw the Suns in there because that was...
[1:09:59] Speaker 1: I look at it like this.
[1:10:02] Speaker 2: Where would your jersey be retired?
[1:10:03] Speaker 5: Clippers or New Orleans.
[1:10:04] Speaker 1: New Orleans. Then the Clippers failed, so it's like New
[1:10:07] Speaker 1: Orleans where you started your career is the only one
[1:10:10] Speaker 1: that makes sense to me. Him going to Houston and retiring,
[1:10:13] Speaker 1: it just makes sense.
[1:10:14] Speaker 3: If he wins it in Phoenix. I mean, at this point,
[1:10:17] Speaker 3: I was going to say, beggars can't be choosers. Whoever
[1:10:20] Speaker 3: has a spot on the roster wants to give it
[1:10:21] Speaker 3: to him. But he has to be traded, too.
[1:10:22] Speaker 6: Listen, bro, they said he threw a Halloween party.
[1:10:26] Speaker 1: Yeah, so let's get into that.
[1:10:27] Speaker 3: So ESPN's Ramona Shelburne dropped an article Tuesday shedding more
[1:10:32] Speaker 3: insight into the factors that led to Paul's abrupt divorce
[1:10:34] Speaker 3: from the team. So according to her report, CP3 was
[1:10:37] Speaker 3: told he was expected to be an intervention veteran leader
[1:10:40] Speaker 3: and to not expect too much playing time. So CP3
[1:10:42] Speaker 3: attempted to be a vocal leader during his time with
[1:10:45] Speaker 3: the team, like he's always been, but his leadership style
[1:10:47] Speaker 3: clashed with some players and coaches and members of the
[1:10:49] Speaker 3: front office. So according to his former Clippers teammate John Collins,
[1:10:52] Speaker 3: actually current Clippers teammate, he's still on the team. According
[1:10:55] Speaker 3: to John Collins, Paul was leading the team's second unit,
[1:10:57] Speaker 3: routinely kicking the starters' ass in training camp. And then
[1:11:01] Speaker 3: we shift over to starter season after the Clippers got
[1:11:03] Speaker 3: smacked by the Jazz in their season opener. Paul attempted
[1:11:05] Speaker 3: to bring the team together to encourage a dialogue, but
[1:11:08] Speaker 3: it fell flat amongst the veteran players. CBT also tried
[1:11:11] Speaker 3: to organize a Halloween party for the team after their
[1:11:13] Speaker 3: win over the Pelicans October 31st, but only three players
[1:11:17] Speaker 3: showed up. So Clippers are 1-9 in the last 10 games,
[1:11:20] Speaker 3: 1-4 since parting ways with CP3. So what is the
[1:11:24] Speaker 3: Chris Paul situation exposed about the Clippers as a team
[1:11:28] Speaker 3: and organization?
[1:11:28] Speaker 2: Nigga had a Halloween party. Three people showed up, Mr. B.
[1:11:31] Speaker 1: Three people. Like Bradley, Bill, Zubach, I don't know.
[1:11:34] Speaker 2: They said they tried to do what you did. At
[1:11:36] Speaker 2: the Intuit Dome. It was at the arena.
[1:11:38] Speaker 5: They said he tried to have a million-dollar party for Halloween.
[1:11:41] Speaker 2: Just him, his wife.
[1:11:43] Speaker 1: A million-dollar party.
[1:11:44] Speaker 2: No, I mean, I went to one before. This shit
[1:11:47] Speaker 2: was poppin'. Well, not this year. When he played with
[1:11:50] Speaker 2: the Clippers, it was popping.
[1:11:51] Speaker 1: Clippers is known for having legendary Halloween parties, for those
[1:11:55] Speaker 1: that don't know.
[1:11:56] Speaker 2: No, he do have legendary Halloween parties.
[1:11:58] Speaker 1: Clippers were known as a team pulling up back in
[1:12:01] Speaker 1: the Lob City era.
[1:12:03] Speaker 3: Their Halloween party used to be popping. Used to be
[1:12:05] Speaker 3: very popping. Conga Room, amongst other locations. CB3 did it
[1:12:08] Speaker 3: at the Intuit Dome, the very arena. Oh, he did
[1:12:11] Speaker 3: it in the arena? Oh, that's why nobody came. It
[1:12:13] Speaker 3: was after the game. Literally, take your shower, throw your
[1:12:18] Speaker 3: clothes on, and just come over here. You don't even
[1:12:20] Speaker 3: got to leave the facility.
[1:12:22] Speaker 2: And they left. And niggas said, uh.
[1:12:23] Speaker 1: They left.
[1:12:24] Speaker 6: They was like, hey, we got a Halloween party up there.
[1:12:26] Speaker 2: Walk past the party in hands and go to they car.
[1:12:29] Speaker 1: Oh, cool. All that crap. Shake people's hands.
[1:12:32] Speaker 2: They like.
[1:12:32] Speaker 1: I go to a real party. I'll be right back.
[1:12:37] Speaker 1: I'll be right back. Yeah, I'll be back. I'll be back.
[1:12:39] Speaker 1: All that crap. David and 445. Can't you roll? Man,
[1:12:41] Speaker 1: you got to hate the motherfuckers. I'll call you motherfuckers
[1:12:45] Speaker 1: when I really need to get home. The makeup excuses?
[1:12:48] Speaker 1: You know how bad you got to hit somebody to
[1:12:50] Speaker 1: walk past his party? You at his party, I'm serious.
[1:12:53] Speaker 1: You walk past. You're already at the party. You're in
[1:12:55] Speaker 1: the venue where the party's at.
[1:12:57] Speaker 10: Because you know if you come in, you got to
[1:12:59] Speaker 10: stay for a drink or something.
[1:13:01] Speaker 1: Listen, they got costumes and makeup, everything there for you.
[1:13:03] Speaker 1: You ain't got to leave. Those are the fastest showers ever. What?
[1:13:08] Speaker 1: I can't wait. I'm going to go home and get
[1:13:10] Speaker 1: my costumes. I'll be back. They got costumes right there.
[1:13:13] Speaker 1: I'll be back. Yeah, all right. You on that 405? Hey, low-key,
[1:13:19] Speaker 1: I don't... Okay, I know we didn't know about it.
[1:13:23] Speaker 2: What?
[1:13:24] Speaker 1: Did y'all arenas have clubs in them?
[1:13:28] Speaker 2: The Lakers did.
[1:13:29] Speaker 3: The Lakers had High Lounge, amongst others.
[1:13:31] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:13:31] Speaker 2: Did the Timberwolves have one? No.
[1:13:34] Speaker 1: When I went to Orlando, like, after games, they went
[1:13:38] Speaker 1: to the club. Like, they clubbed.
[1:13:40] Speaker 2: I didn't know. I was like, damn, I.
[1:13:42] Speaker 1: I was like, dude, man, we got the Wizards.
[1:13:45] Speaker 2: High Lounge at Staples Center, known for turning up after
[1:13:47] Speaker 2: Lakers and Kings games. Man, that was great, yeah.
[1:13:49] Speaker 3: So instead of them going to the club, they just
[1:13:51] Speaker 3: went upstairs and... Hang out, let traffic die down, get
[1:13:54] Speaker 3: yourself a little beverage, some music.
[1:13:55] Speaker 1: I think only certain.
[1:13:56] Speaker 5: Atlanta has that, for sure. Atlanta, Miami has that. The
[1:13:59] Speaker 5: Lakers have it. I know Orlando has it, like you said.
[1:14:02] Speaker 7: I played there.
[1:14:03] Speaker 1: I think it just depends. And two of them got
[1:14:06] Speaker 1: in there. Oh, for hard, yeah.
[1:14:08] Speaker 2: Just, I mean, because he said they had it.
[1:14:10] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm about to say they had it.
[1:14:12] Speaker 3: But in all sincerity, y'all, you got CP3 trying to
[1:14:15] Speaker 3: be a leader, trying to rally this team together. I'm
[1:14:17] Speaker 3: throwing a Halloween party for you ungrateful niggas. Y'all don't
[1:14:19] Speaker 3: even want to come turn up with me. Got costumes
[1:14:22] Speaker 3: for all y'all. Roblox, Minecraft, who knows?
[1:14:26] Speaker 2: Just saying.
[1:14:28] Speaker 1: Six, seven.
[1:14:29] Speaker 2: Six for Kawhi, seven for James Harden. Wizards did.
[1:14:33] Speaker 3: What does this Chris Paul situation expose about the Clippers
[1:14:36] Speaker 3: as a team and an organization?
[1:14:40] Speaker 7: Not going to look into it too much. Guys just
[1:14:47] Speaker 7: don't fuck with CP. Or that they were busy and
[1:14:51] Speaker 7: don't have other shit to do. Got some other shit
[1:14:57] Speaker 7: to do. Got other plans, my nigga. They was messy
[1:15:03] Speaker 7: as right. They walking past it. Got some other plans,
[1:15:08] Speaker 7: my nigga. Appreciate it. But I mean, we look at it,
[1:15:14] Speaker 7: you know, laugh at it like it's CP fault or
[1:15:16] Speaker 7: it's some discrepancy upon him. Then there's going to be
[1:15:20] Speaker 7: a narrative that's going to be painted. See, they don't
[1:15:23] Speaker 7: fuck with CP. Nobody showed up. They don't want to
[1:15:25] Speaker 7: go to this party. Zubac did go, though, in his defense.
[1:15:30] Speaker 2: Zubac. People who didn't have shit to do went.
[1:15:33] Speaker 7: He's very active in LA. He ain't got shit to do, man.
[1:15:36] Speaker 7: I'm going to chill a little bit. Zubac was there.
[1:15:39] Speaker 7: I ain't from here.
[1:15:40] Speaker 1: What?
[1:15:40] Speaker 2: Halloween party.
[1:15:41] Speaker 1: I ain't from here.
[1:15:41] Speaker 2: Zubac don't care.
[1:15:43] Speaker 1: He pulling up. Show love to his teammates. Chris is
[1:15:45] Speaker 1: going to be passing to him. Nah, brother.
[1:15:47] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:15:48] Speaker 1: It's all good.
[1:15:50] Speaker 7: I mean, Clippers going to be the Clippers, man. It
[1:15:52] Speaker 7: seems like it never fails for them to get out
[1:15:56] Speaker 7: of that abyss that they've been stuck in. So, I mean,
[1:16:04] Speaker 7: my advice to CP is just keep trucking, man. Keep
[1:16:07] Speaker 7: doing what you're doing. Don't change your beat. Don't change
[1:16:10] Speaker 7: anything you've been doing. Because that's just like I already said,
[1:16:13] Speaker 7: like Kobe said, leadership is lonely. And everybody not going to.
[1:16:17] Speaker 7: going to follow you. Everybody's not going to be on
[1:16:19] Speaker 7: the same tune, frequency you on. But some people are.
[1:16:22] Speaker 7: The people who are, the people you leave a lasting
[1:16:24] Speaker 7: impression with. So, John Collins.
[1:16:28] Speaker 2: Rock with him. Wake Forest, obviously.
[1:16:30] Speaker 1: Batum, fuck with him.
[1:16:32] Speaker 7: Zubox.
[1:16:33] Speaker 2: Even Kawhi said he fuck with him.
[1:16:35] Speaker 7: Kawhi fuck with him.
[1:16:36] Speaker 1: It's certain guys that fuck with him.
[1:16:37] Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying? But when you have different
[1:16:39] Speaker 7: crews and different, you know what I'm saying?
[1:16:42] Speaker 1: Like, they separate.
[1:16:44] Speaker 7: If it's James Harden over here and it's this person
[1:16:47] Speaker 7: over here and this person.
[1:16:48] Speaker 1: You're going to go with your crew.
[1:16:50] Speaker 2: Crews go with their crew.
[1:16:51] Speaker 1: We separate.
[1:16:51] Speaker 7: We don't fuck with that crew.
[1:16:52] Speaker 1: They don't fuck with us.
[1:16:54] Speaker 7: We'll see y'all niggas at practice. We'll see y'all niggas
[1:16:56] Speaker 7: at brunch, whatever. But that rolls over into the game,
[1:17:01] Speaker 7: which is that it seems like it is. So Chris
[1:17:05] Speaker 7: was whooping their ass in practice, which is what seemed
[1:17:09] Speaker 7: to be my– My conclusion of it all, I'm whooping
[1:17:12] Speaker 7: y'all ass, I'm talking that shit. Hey, yeah, let's kick
[1:17:14] Speaker 7: they ass. Them niggas was mad and somebody was too
[1:17:17] Speaker 7: mad to the point of, get this nigga out of here.
[1:17:21] Speaker 7: Coming in here whooping my ass every day.
[1:17:24] Speaker 5: But don't you think if people, if your peers and
[1:17:26] Speaker 5: people don't like you and they're saying things about you,
[1:17:28] Speaker 5: don't you think you should change your ways?
[1:17:30] Speaker 1: Yes, you should.
[1:17:31] Speaker 2: Hey, wasn't he a part of the CBA agreement, right?
[1:17:34] Speaker 2: That bullshit contracts, all that shit. Took the middleman out,
[1:17:38] Speaker 2: all that shit.
[1:17:39] Speaker 1: Yeah. I think you should.
[1:17:40] Speaker 2: That's what it is. The karma's coming back, bro. Nice
[1:17:42] Speaker 2: fucking neck.
[1:17:43] Speaker 1: Yeah. Big fucking eyes.
[1:17:45] Speaker 2: Yeah. Don't look at me, motherfucker. Keep your thumbs to yourselves, man.
[1:17:50] Speaker 2: Are those prescription?
[1:17:52] Speaker 1: Yes, motherfucker. Blue on blind. Oh.
[1:17:55] Speaker 2: You want to see how that is?
[1:17:56] Speaker 1: Can you see it clearly? Because it's like at a
[1:17:58] Speaker 1: certain angle, his eyes just look all big.
[1:18:00] Speaker 2: Nice fucking fish. Big fucking eyes. You want to see?
[1:18:04] Speaker 1: No.
[1:18:04] Speaker 2: Let me see how you're looking.
[1:18:06] Speaker 1: See?
[1:18:07] Speaker 2: See? If Chris Paul would have did that, the nigga
[1:18:10] Speaker 2: would have threw his glasses. Wait, how do you see it?
[1:18:14] Speaker 2: I can't read that.
[1:18:15] Speaker 1: You look good right now, boy. Whoa.
[1:18:18] Speaker 4: Hey, you's a handsome man. I like you like this.
[1:18:21] Speaker 4: But back to Chris Paul. Everybody's not a leader. If
[1:18:26] Speaker 4: they don't want you to be the leader, everybody had
[1:18:29] Speaker 4: that guy that always talk and think they the leader.
[1:18:31] Speaker 4: And niggas be like, man, shut the fuck up.
[1:18:33] Speaker 2: Shit like that. All right?
[1:18:35] Speaker 1: So.
[1:18:36] Speaker 4: If they're not responsive to it, take another approach. Try
[1:18:38] Speaker 4: another angle. That's what being a leader is about.
[1:18:42] Speaker 2: Shit. Stop talking about this motherfucker. Hey, Nick. Oh, he
[1:18:47] Speaker 2: played for him.
[1:18:48] Speaker 1: Yes.
[1:18:48] Speaker 2: Hey, Nick. So you didn't like him, huh?
[1:18:51] Speaker 1: Oh, he talked to you like that? Yeah.
[1:18:52] Speaker 2: Worse than us? Nick.
[1:18:54] Speaker 1: Did he talk to you worse than us? That was
[1:18:55] Speaker 1: a good take, Nick. That was a good take. I know. Well,
[1:18:58] Speaker 1: we was worse than him?
[1:19:01] Speaker 2: At least you did it in my face.
[1:19:04] Speaker 1: At least you did it in my face.
[1:19:06] Speaker 2: Oh, so he had your picture. Oh, he's OK.
[1:19:07] Speaker 1: Oh, he's OK.
[1:19:10] Speaker 2: He's worse than Karan? We on TV.
[1:19:14] Speaker 1: So it's personal. We're on YouTube. So it's personal is
[1:19:18] Speaker 1: what you're trying to say. No, I know.
[1:19:20] Speaker 2: It's personal. I know from personal.
[1:19:24] Speaker 1: Which one would you rather play with, Karan?
[1:19:27] Speaker 2: Which one is Karan? No, I'm just saying. No, that's good.
[1:19:31] Speaker 1: Shut up. They had to, listen, with Karan, they had to,
[1:19:42] Speaker 1: they all agreed, listen, it's more of us than him.
[1:19:46] Speaker 1: We all not passing him the ball. I remember that.
[1:19:50] Speaker 1: What did he say? Pass me the ball, bitch. Pass
[1:19:53] Speaker 1: it to me like I'm 21.
[1:19:54] Speaker 2: It was that bad.
[1:19:56] Speaker 1: It was like, he is the best player on the team,
[1:19:59] Speaker 1: and you get two or three of them on the
[1:20:01] Speaker 1: court together.
[1:20:02] Speaker 2: They was refusing to pass him the ball.
[1:20:04] Speaker 1: It was done. Twine was going by himself.
[1:20:07] Speaker 2: Hey, payback time.
[1:20:08] Speaker 1: He's alone. He's alone. What are you going to do?
[1:20:11] Speaker 2: If he tries to get us, we're going to jump him.
[1:20:14] Speaker 2: It was the funniest team.
[1:20:17] Speaker 1: Karan shot six straight shots.
[1:20:20] Speaker 2: Somebody hit him, like, took a shot.
[1:20:23] Speaker 1: Called a timeout. Damn, man, we didn't pass the ball around.
[1:20:26] Speaker 1: For real. Crazy, bro.
[1:20:27] Speaker 2: Damn. For real.
[1:20:28] Speaker 1: Cold-blooded.
[1:20:35] Speaker 2: Loud.
[1:20:36] Speaker 4: Listen to that shit.
[1:20:41] Speaker 1: Be like tough juice.
[1:20:43] Speaker 3: Well, hopefully it works out for CP3. He can end
[1:20:46] Speaker 3: his 21st final season in the league on a high
[1:20:49] Speaker 3: note and get some semblance of a retirement tour.
[1:20:52] Speaker 1: Yeah. Bring him back at the end then. Send everybody home.
[1:20:55] Speaker 1: Bring up the G League. Just let him come for
[1:20:57] Speaker 1: game 82. All right. Well, let's keep this thing moving. So,
[1:21:02] Speaker 1: Kevin Durant. Never been one to bite his tongue and
[1:21:04] Speaker 1: no topic is off limits. KD pulled up to his
[1:21:07] Speaker 1: teammate Fred VanVleet's unguarded show recently to discuss a variety
[1:21:10] Speaker 1: of topics, which included him shedding some more light on
[1:21:13] Speaker 1: his decision to leave the Thunder back in the summer
[1:21:15] Speaker 1: of 2016 to team up with Steph and the Warriors.
[1:21:23] Speaker 2: We had a lot of specialists.
[1:21:24] Speaker 11: We had dudes that played defense that really couldn't score
[1:21:27] Speaker 11: on their own, really couldn't shoot the ball. We had
[1:21:30] Speaker 11: a guy that probably could shoot, but can't really guard
[1:21:31] Speaker 11: that well. So there's a lot that go into trying
[1:21:34] Speaker 11: to make that offense work. And we did a solid job,
[1:21:37] Speaker 11: and I'm looking at Golden State, and they calling me,
[1:21:41] Speaker 11: and I'm like, shit, the average probably won 20 a game.
[1:21:46] Speaker 1: For sure.
[1:21:47] Speaker 2: Hell yeah, adding you to the equation for damn sure.
[1:21:49] Speaker 11: I'm not worried about the zone every time I catch
[1:21:51] Speaker 11: the ball.
[1:21:52] Speaker 2: Top-locking, double-teaming, game start.
[1:21:56] Speaker 11: I felt like we made the game better because you
[1:21:59] Speaker 11: had to come with it from the first possession of
[1:22:01] Speaker 11: the game or you.
[1:22:01] Speaker 2: Would get blown out.
[1:22:02] Speaker 7: Yeah, for sure.
[1:22:04] Speaker 2: And we went on third-quarter runs. That was insane. We
[1:22:07] Speaker 2: had 50 points in the third quarter.
[1:22:09] Speaker 3: So you got to understand KD's reasoning for leaving the
[1:22:11] Speaker 3: Thunder to join the Warriors?
[1:22:15] Speaker 2: When he explains it like that. LeBron James.
[1:22:18] Speaker 5: He was following LeBron James. He do everything LeBron James do.
[1:22:26] Speaker 5: stop what are you talking about I mean it is
[1:22:29] Speaker 5: like they do everything LeBron do.
[1:22:36] Speaker 1: No I'm looking at that team and that third quarter
[1:22:40] Speaker 1: was great no he was he's I see what he's
[1:22:42] Speaker 1: saying it's built like a 2k team if they playing
[1:22:46] Speaker 1: comp right you only you build it you build it
[1:22:50] Speaker 1: as a team for these people not to do certain
[1:22:52] Speaker 1: things so the.
[1:22:54] Speaker 2: Shooting guard was what Roberson.
[1:22:58] Speaker 1: Right?
[1:22:58] Speaker 2: That was the shooting guard?
[1:22:59] Speaker 7: Cephalosa.
[1:23:01] Speaker 2: When they went to the.
[1:23:04] Speaker 1: No, Cephalosa.
[1:23:06] Speaker 2: 2015-16 Thunder? No, the 2015-16 Thunder? It was the 14,
[1:23:10] Speaker 2: ain't it? You left summer of 16. Yeah, it was 16.
[1:23:14] Speaker 2: So it was Roberson who couldn't shoot the ball.
[1:23:17] Speaker 1: Okay. And I'm pretty sure he's talking about Mauro who
[1:23:23] Speaker 1: can shoot but didn't really do anything else.
[1:23:27] Speaker 7: Mauro's a lethal shooter.
[1:23:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a lethal, yeah.
[1:23:31] Speaker 3: Obviously, KD led that team in scoring, followed by Westbrook,
[1:23:34] Speaker 3: Serge Ibaka.
[1:23:35] Speaker 7: Serge can shoot.
[1:23:36] Speaker 2: It went 12-10, and then... Deion Waiters.
[1:23:38] Speaker 1: Deion Waiters can shoot it. Coming off the bench. Who else?
[1:23:41] Speaker 1: Steven Adams was on that team. Reggie Jackson was on
[1:23:44] Speaker 1: that team.
[1:23:44] Speaker 2: Young Reggie. You got Randy Floyd, Nick Collison. Randy can
[1:23:47] Speaker 2: shoot that bitch. But what year was that for Randy?
[1:23:51] Speaker 2: All three of them played the same.
[1:23:52] Speaker 1: No, no, no. It was gone. That was Randy before Utah.
[1:23:57] Speaker 2: But kind of after the Clippers, Randy was like, Clippers.
[1:24:00] Speaker 2: He could shoot it. Yeah, he could still shoot. Yeah,
[1:24:02] Speaker 2: for sure.
[1:24:03] Speaker 7: What he talking about, what he acting like that the
[1:24:05] Speaker 7: team didn't have nothing that can offset all the other
[1:24:10] Speaker 7: teams he's been on based on after Golden State. Top
[1:24:14] Speaker 7: blocking and doubling and all that. It's like, it's a
[1:24:16] Speaker 7: part of who you are.
[1:24:17] Speaker 1: Nigga, you're KD'd.
[1:24:19] Speaker 7: If you don't got Steph and Clay, nigga, who the
[1:24:21] Speaker 7: fuck is going to be top-locking and doubling you?
[1:24:23] Speaker 1: Nigga, we not.
[1:24:24] Speaker 2: They the best shooters ever.
[1:24:26] Speaker 7: So, man, outside of that, like, whatever team you go to,
[1:24:30] Speaker 7: that's what kind of treatment you going to get.
[1:24:33] Speaker 1: You're KD.
[1:24:34] Speaker 7: We top-locking. We trying to get the ball out your hands.
[1:24:38] Speaker 1: It don't matter.
[1:24:39] Speaker 2: Even Russ.
[1:24:39] Speaker 7: You look at Russ there, and you talking about that
[1:24:41] Speaker 7: with him and Russ. Like, damn, so what was it?
[1:24:44] Speaker 1: Four on?
[1:24:44] Speaker 7: Two niggas guarding each nigga?
[1:24:46] Speaker 2: For all that, they were still up, what, 3-1?
[1:24:49] Speaker 1: No, but when you're talking about help side defense, right?
[1:24:53] Speaker 2: You got Russ who can't shoot the ball that good.
[1:24:55] Speaker 1: Russ driving that bitch on the catch. Yeah, but when
[1:24:57] Speaker 1: you're talking about loading up, you can load off of Russ, right?
[1:25:01] Speaker 1: You load him off Robinson. So you're going to top
[1:25:03] Speaker 1: lock him in. You're going to corral him.
[1:25:05] Speaker 2: So he's probably frustrated.
[1:25:07] Speaker 1: Got to get over that. Reggie there.
[1:25:10] Speaker 2: Reggie there. Reggie there.
[1:25:11] Speaker 7: I know what he's saying. He's saying first quarters. First quarters,
[1:25:15] Speaker 7: we're going to make it tough on KD because we're
[1:25:17] Speaker 7: going to sag off everybody and wah, wah, wah. But
[1:25:19] Speaker 7: we have a team that's going to adjust to that.
[1:25:21] Speaker 7: You can't do this the whole game.
[1:25:23] Speaker 1: Man.
[1:25:23] Speaker 2: We've got players. We've got Marlboro. We've got Waiters. We've
[1:25:26] Speaker 2: got Serg. Reggie Jackson wasn't there yet.
[1:25:27] Speaker 1: I can do that shit right here.
[1:25:28] Speaker 2: You can't top block this.
[1:25:30] Speaker 1: Do that right here.
[1:25:32] Speaker 2: Eddie, in the post.
[1:25:33] Speaker 1: Yeah, the top block. When he's trying to come off
[1:25:34] Speaker 1: a pin down, they're just going to top block it,
[1:25:36] Speaker 1: push him the other way. Wait, Reggie James? They didn't
[1:25:38] Speaker 1: have enough. What really hurt them is when obviously James
[1:25:43] Speaker 1: Harden leaves because with James Harden, it's more balanced, so...
[1:25:49] Speaker 1: They kind of went down. And it was just the opportunity.
[1:25:52] Speaker 1: They still was up 3-1. No, but it's still the opportunity.
[1:25:55] Speaker 1: The opportunity presented itself. He's a free agent. And this
[1:25:59] Speaker 1: team said, hey, come over.
[1:26:00] Speaker 2: It's like D-Rose and 3-D on the same team with Rustic.
[1:26:03] Speaker 5: No, but what I'm saying is, remember, he lost?
[1:26:07] Speaker 2: Okay. He's a free agent. He can go anywhere.
[1:26:10] Speaker 1: The number one team says, hey, we need your help, whatever.
[1:26:14] Speaker 1: Come over.
[1:26:15] Speaker 2: They're calling you, making you feel appreciated.
[1:26:17] Speaker 1: And they fly to you.
[1:26:18] Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
[1:26:20] Speaker 1: Man, listen, I can understand loyalty, and then I can
[1:26:27] Speaker 1: understand the opportunity. The opportunity is I'm looking at three
[1:26:32] Speaker 1: dudes that's like shooters, shooters, specialists at whatever he does,
[1:26:37] Speaker 1: and I'm like, you add me?
[1:26:39] Speaker 2: Oh, my God. This is crazy. And I can.
[1:26:45] Speaker 7: Like, they puffed him.
[1:26:46] Speaker 2: They flew to him? No, they flew to him.
[1:26:47] Speaker 5: I know.
[1:26:47] Speaker 2: They did.
[1:26:48] Speaker 1: Listen, we're going to give you these two albums. They're
[1:26:51] Speaker 1: where you at?
[1:26:51] Speaker 2: Shit, I mean.
[1:26:52] Speaker 5: Listen, we're going to give you these two albums, all right?
[1:26:53] Speaker 5: We're going to make you a star.
[1:26:54] Speaker 1: Bad boy. You're going to get out of here. This
[1:26:55] Speaker 1: bad boy.
[1:26:56] Speaker 2: Get him out of here.
[1:26:57] Speaker 1: I'm looking at him.
[1:26:58] Speaker 6: We're going to put you on this black jet.
[1:27:01] Speaker 7: On some snowfall shit. Them niggas came down through the set,
[1:27:03] Speaker 7: did a drive-by.
[1:27:04] Speaker 1: Bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop. And
[1:27:07] Speaker 1: then got up out of there.
[1:27:08] Speaker 7: And he was like, hey, man, I'm not trying to
[1:27:10] Speaker 7: get shot up like this no more.
[1:27:13] Speaker 3: What if Eddie had more guns and they just ran
[1:27:15] Speaker 3: out of bullets? They were doing better shooting.
[1:27:21] Speaker 1: He got shot. I'm breathing different, B. I can't walk
[1:27:27] Speaker 1: the same, B. Man, pull your skirt down. That's Russ.
[1:27:30] Speaker 1: Russ like, man, pull your skirt down, B.
[1:27:31] Speaker 7: Niggas get shot every day, B.
[1:27:33] Speaker 2: And them pay cuts he took? Them pay cuts he took,
[1:27:37] Speaker 2: we can see that it was for a good reason.
[1:27:40] Speaker 2: You're going to Silicon Valley. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
[1:27:43] Speaker 2: Them pay cuts you took. Yeah, for sure.
[1:27:45] Speaker 1: It all worked out. Them Silicon boys. You don't need
[1:27:49] Speaker 1: that $ 10 million on the books. I got this Uber.
[1:27:52] Speaker 1: It's called Uber Eats.
[1:27:54] Speaker 5: It was still a good business move at the end
[1:27:56] Speaker 5: of the day. It was still a good business move
[1:27:57] Speaker 5: for the long term and everything.
[1:27:59] Speaker 7: My question is, does he need to say that when
[1:28:01] Speaker 7: we already respect the fact that you did what you
[1:28:04] Speaker 7: thought was best for you?
[1:28:07] Speaker 1: I feel like you're just having a free-flowing conversation. You
[1:28:09] Speaker 1: know what I'm saying? But now it sounds like an excuse.
[1:28:12] Speaker 7: It doesn't sound like I made a decision based on
[1:28:15] Speaker 7: I just wanted to go to another situation.
[1:28:17] Speaker 5: Because he keeps hearing it. I think because he keeps
[1:28:19] Speaker 5: hearing it on the internet.
[1:28:19] Speaker 1: No, I'm just saying.
[1:28:20] Speaker 7: But what he just said is like, I left because
[1:28:22] Speaker 7: I was getting top-sided and da-da-da-da-da. That's a whole different
[1:28:26] Speaker 7: dynamic from the respect you're getting from, man, he just
[1:28:30] Speaker 7: wanted to go to another team, man.
[1:28:31] Speaker 1: He ain't like the situation. He wanted to go.
[1:28:34] Speaker 2: But it can't be.
[1:28:35] Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? It can't be. I mean,
[1:28:37] Speaker 1: it sounds like he was too. It can't be an excuse.
[1:28:40] Speaker 1: It's his version of why he left. We've never heard
[1:28:43] Speaker 1: him say why he left. He said, I left because
[1:28:46] Speaker 1: this is how the game was going for me.
[1:28:49] Speaker 2: I'm looking at that.
[1:28:50] Speaker 1: It's going about 100-something to put me in there. I'm good.
[1:28:52] Speaker 5: So let me go win them championships. So after a decade,
[1:28:54] Speaker 5: now we want to, like, what happened when people was
[1:28:56] Speaker 5: asking before?
[1:28:57] Speaker 1: But usually people when they get older eventually say, all right,
[1:29:00] Speaker 1: this is why. Yeah, for sure. That's the better.
[1:29:02] Speaker 2: That's just the better.
[1:29:03] Speaker 7: Like you said, he up 3-1 and we got a
[1:29:05] Speaker 7: bunch of specialists that's doing X, Y, Z. We here
[1:29:08] Speaker 7: up 3-1. We can beat this team. Whatever reason we
[1:29:12] Speaker 7: didn't beat this team ain't got shit to do with
[1:29:14] Speaker 7: the specialists. We up 3-1. Let's take this shit to
[1:29:18] Speaker 7: the house. But then we leave this situation and go
[1:29:22] Speaker 7: to another team after this. That's a different conversation.
[1:29:25] Speaker 2: We heard a different version.
[1:29:26] Speaker 1: No, no, no.
[1:29:27] Speaker 2: Didn't he say he left because of Westbrook? Uh-huh.
[1:29:30] Speaker 1: That was one. That was one. From him? Yeah.
[1:29:33] Speaker 2: Depends on him.
[1:29:34] Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, you're saying he
[1:29:37] Speaker 1: should stay. Why should I commit more? I've already committed enough.
[1:29:42] Speaker 1: I'm in OKC.
[1:29:43] Speaker 2: Who are y'all bringing?
[1:29:44] Speaker 1: I'm a free agent. If I sign this max contract,
[1:29:47] Speaker 1: who are you bringing?
[1:29:48] Speaker 2: I'm stuck with the same group.
[1:29:49] Speaker 7: I don't think they're saying don't stay. They're saying don't
[1:29:52] Speaker 7: go to that team. That's what the whole thing is.
[1:29:56] Speaker 1: I know what the world is saying, but this is
[1:29:58] Speaker 1: my career.
[1:30:00] Speaker 2: That's what Russell Westbrook said. I'm cool, but you.
[1:30:02] Speaker 1: Don't have a choice.
[1:30:04] Speaker 2: Out of all of them.
[1:30:07] Speaker 1: They just sprayed the block, bro. We can't go to them.
[1:30:10] Speaker 1: But I have the two championships and the two finals MVP.
[1:30:14] Speaker 1: I made a good decision.
[1:30:15] Speaker 2: That puts me here.
[1:30:16] Speaker 1: Your career is going to be always challenged because you
[1:30:19] Speaker 1: don't have it.
[1:30:20] Speaker 2: Your loyalty to them.
[1:30:22] Speaker 1: For them to do the same thing they would have
[1:30:24] Speaker 1: did to any of us. But you saying, man, fuck him.
[1:30:27] Speaker 1: He said, I'm OKC. They traded you.
[1:30:30] Speaker 7: But do you know why they traded me? Why they
[1:30:32] Speaker 7: traded me? Because we could have won together, but you left.
[1:30:35] Speaker 1: That's where Russ's head is like, they didn't get rid
[1:30:40] Speaker 1: of me because we didn't win. But what is the
[1:30:43] Speaker 1: whole point of it?
[1:30:47] Speaker 7: Look, Russ got an MVP, but think about this. Russ
[1:30:52] Speaker 7: is saying, don't go leave us to go to them
[1:30:55] Speaker 7: that beat us. And then we're saying, well.
[1:30:58] Speaker 1: I got these two. I'm good.
[1:31:00] Speaker 7: You don't got nothing. And look what they did to
[1:31:02] Speaker 7: you based on you not having nothing. That wouldn't have
[1:31:05] Speaker 7: happened if you were to stay with us. We would
[1:31:08] Speaker 7: have won one. We would have won one. We would
[1:31:13] Speaker 7: have won one.
[1:31:13] Speaker 5: It was James Harden. Losing 3-1 and then trying to
[1:31:16] Speaker 5: come back again?
[1:31:16] Speaker 1: No way. It was a James Harden move that messed up.
[1:31:20] Speaker 1: You said 3-1, right? Alright, what happened? They lost.
[1:31:23] Speaker 7: When LeBron changed them and then what happened? Came back
[1:31:26] Speaker 7: and won.
[1:31:26] Speaker 1: The next year, who won? The Warriors. The Warriors. Same
[1:31:37] Speaker 1: thing would have happened, nigga.
[1:31:38] Speaker 2: No, they loaded up. They got KD.
[1:31:39] Speaker 1: Same thing. No, I'm saying if KD stays. KD stays,
[1:31:43] Speaker 1: we go back. We run it back, and we win.
[1:31:45] Speaker 2: No, they don't.
[1:31:46] Speaker 1: No, they don't. We gave up. They gave somebody up. So, look. No, no. No,
[1:31:50] Speaker 1: we consider LeBron. That LeBron thing.
[1:31:52] Speaker 2: Out there.
[1:31:53] Speaker 1: Golden State is getting somebody that time. If Golden State
[1:31:56] Speaker 1: was that same team, they're not winning. They're not beating KD.
[1:31:59] Speaker 2: They're not beating Ole Miss.
[1:32:00] Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait. They're getting somebody in the summer. Wait,
[1:32:02] Speaker 1: hold on. Y'all not realizing.
[1:32:03] Speaker 2: They're saying they need somebody. Listen.
[1:32:05] Speaker 1: Are y'all forgetting they signed Kevin Durant to a deal,
[1:32:10] Speaker 1: meaning they have all the money. But they don't have
[1:32:14] Speaker 1: a KD, though. They don't have a KD. KD's available.
[1:32:18] Speaker 1: KD's available. I'm saying they would have got. I can't
[1:32:21] Speaker 1: get two mid players.
[1:32:22] Speaker 12: You're not going to get a KD, though. But you
[1:32:24] Speaker 12: can get two or three players. The KD made a difference.
[1:32:28] Speaker 12: KD made a difference. KD was a bazooka. It was overkill.
[1:32:34] Speaker 12: I didn't need overkill. When we played against Cavs, that
[1:32:40] Speaker 12: wasn't even a series. Did that even look like.
[1:32:44] Speaker 7: LeBron came back from 3-1 to win the series.
[1:32:50] Speaker 1: And the next year, the Warriors won.
[1:32:52] Speaker 2: Got KD.
[1:32:53] Speaker 1: KD. So, if you.
[1:32:55] Speaker 7: KD, don't go. to the motherfucking Warriors. We run it
[1:33:01] Speaker 7: back and we beat the Warriors.
[1:33:03] Speaker 1: But then you lose to LeBron in the final.
[1:33:05] Speaker 2: No.
[1:33:05] Speaker 1: Maybe. No, the problem is OKC has to run it
[1:33:11] Speaker 1: back with the same team because they have no money
[1:33:13] Speaker 1: once they sign KD. Uh-huh. Golden State, they get to
[1:33:17] Speaker 1: add more players because they have all the money. But
[1:33:20] Speaker 1: you don't get to add KD. But I can add
[1:33:23] Speaker 1: another superstar. But we won. We don't give a fuck
[1:33:26] Speaker 1: who you add. No, you do not. Yes, we do.
[1:33:28] Speaker 1: We're adding another superstar. We won. We got your number.
[1:33:31] Speaker 1: And then we're going to add two more superstars. You're
[1:33:34] Speaker 1: not adding a KD. We don't need a KD. Yes,
[1:33:36] Speaker 1: you do. We just went 73-9. We don't need a bazooka.
[1:33:39] Speaker 1: We need two other players. And you lost. 73-9 and
[1:33:41] Speaker 1: we lost. And we lost in a game seven. Yes,
[1:33:44] Speaker 1: in a fucking game seven.
[1:33:46] Speaker 7: Came down to a game seven.
[1:33:47] Speaker 1: We lost. I was there. We running it back again.
[1:33:50] Speaker 1: It's the same thing. And we added two players. What
[1:33:53] Speaker 1: the hell? We lost in a game seven.
[1:33:55] Speaker 2: Who was available that year?
[1:33:57] Speaker 1: A little LeBron. Cameron LeBron. Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Al Horford,
[1:34:03] Speaker 1: DeMar DeRozan. Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Al Horford, DeMar DeRozan,
[1:34:09] Speaker 1: Michael Conley, Andre Drummond, Dwayne Wade, Hassan Whiteside, Batum was
[1:34:18] Speaker 1: free agency. None of them are Kevin Durants.
[1:34:22] Speaker 2: I can sign three.
[1:34:23] Speaker 1: None of them equals to Kevin Durant. Easy money sniper.
[1:34:27] Speaker 7: You need 50-40-90 to beat LeBron James. I don't need
[1:34:30] Speaker 7: Kevin Durant.
[1:34:31] Speaker 1: 50-40-90.
[1:34:32] Speaker 7: You need to cancel LeBron out.
[1:34:37] Speaker 2: You need to cancel LeBron out.
[1:34:39] Speaker 1: Who hit the shots to beat? He's talking about beating OKC.
[1:34:46] Speaker 1: Two of these players, one of these players, I run
[1:34:49] Speaker 1: through OKC again because they're running it back with the
[1:34:51] Speaker 1: same exact team.
[1:34:52] Speaker 7: But you're not running. I'm 73-9. I'm 73-9, and I'm
[1:34:57] Speaker 7: adding more players. But you're down 3-1, bro. Regardless of
[1:35:02] Speaker 7: what you need, we need one game to get y'all
[1:35:05] Speaker 7: out of here.
[1:35:06] Speaker 1: If I get Al Horford, is my team better? You
[1:35:08] Speaker 1: might run it. If you add Al Horford, y'all might
[1:35:10] Speaker 1: take a 6-1. game. If I get Al Horford, do
[1:35:17] Speaker 1: I beat OKC? No. No, you lose at six. No,
[1:35:20] Speaker 1: you lose.
[1:35:21] Speaker 7: Hey, you get DeMar DeRozan, we take you to seven.
[1:35:23] Speaker 7: Al Horford, we take you to seven.
[1:35:26] Speaker 1: Back then?
[1:35:26] Speaker 5: Yes.
[1:35:27] Speaker 1: No. They just went seven.
[1:35:29] Speaker 2: Yes.
[1:35:30] Speaker 1: Well, you can't play with Al Horford. What you going
[1:35:33] Speaker 1: to do with Al Horford? We got Serge Ibaka. We
[1:35:36] Speaker 1: got motherfuckers. We got motherfuckers. Come on, man.
[1:35:38] Speaker 6: So you're adding a pick and pop big with Steph
[1:35:42] Speaker 6: Curry doing a 7-3-9 that can also pick and pop,
[1:35:47] Speaker 6: take the ball off the dribble.
[1:35:48] Speaker 1: He's a better dribbler. Kevin Durant. I get that. What
[1:35:51] Speaker 1: are you talking about? We still have another all-star, and
[1:35:53] Speaker 1: then we can add another all-star.
[1:35:55] Speaker 7: 3-1.
[1:35:55] Speaker 1: 3-1. They had a 3-1. They had a 3-1. 3-1.
[1:35:59] Speaker 7: You went down twice in the whole playoffs 3-1.
[1:36:03] Speaker 1: 3-1. Twice in a 73-9 season. You went down 3-1 twice.
[1:36:09] Speaker 1: And you guys were the same team back. Twice? We
[1:36:12] Speaker 1: went down 3-1 twice in a season. Come on. We're
[1:36:14] Speaker 1: not talking about beating Cavs. We're talking about beating the
[1:36:17] Speaker 1: OKC if he went back. There's a reason he didn't
[1:36:19] Speaker 1: go back. He didn't believe this team was championship. So
[1:36:22] Speaker 1: he left. They took their heart. It was a wrap.
[1:36:25] Speaker 1: When you have 3-1, it's over. You think you can
[1:36:27] Speaker 1: come back and get it next year? It's deeper. It's
[1:36:29] Speaker 1: deeper than that. They took the Warriors' heart. Remember, you
[1:36:32] Speaker 1: can't take one person's heart in a 3-1 series and
[1:36:34] Speaker 1: not take it. Who took the Warriors' heart?
[1:36:37] Speaker 10: LeBron James! And why you think they went and got
[1:36:39] Speaker 10: a bazooka? That bazooka was available. If he stays, you
[1:36:48] Speaker 10: don't get to go get the bazooka.
[1:36:50] Speaker 1: You got to settle for DeMar DeRozan. DeMar DeRozan takes
[1:36:53] Speaker 1: you over the top against him.
[1:36:54] Speaker 10: I'm not talking about LeBron James.
[1:37:00] Speaker 1: I'm saying if I got DeMar DeRozan, OKC. You're going
[1:37:04] Speaker 1: back to OKC. You're behind us again still. You're talking
[1:37:07] Speaker 1: about the second year. You're talking about when we run
[1:37:10] Speaker 1: it back. And we run it back.
[1:37:12] Speaker 7: Instead of getting KD and you get DeMar DeRozan.
[1:37:15] Speaker 1: You're not running nothing back. You're losing. DeMar DeRozan was
[1:37:19] Speaker 1: averaging 20. No matter what, you're not KD. You're not KD.
[1:37:23] Speaker 1: Do you know how easy the game would have been
[1:37:25] Speaker 1: for DeMar DeRozan?
[1:37:26] Speaker 2: Wait, hold on.
[1:37:27] Speaker 1: I want y'all to really think about it. A team
[1:37:30] Speaker 1: won 73-9. They go into free agency, and you're saying
[1:37:36] Speaker 1: if they added DeMar DeRozan or Al Horford to their team,
[1:37:43] Speaker 1: meaning they could keep the same players they have and
[1:37:46] Speaker 1: just add these players because they have all the money
[1:37:49] Speaker 1: because Steph Curry wasn't a max contract. So they can
[1:37:53] Speaker 1: sign a max contract. They can sign a max. How
[1:37:57] Speaker 1: do you think they got KD without doing anything? They
[1:37:59] Speaker 1: can sign someone. So if they sign DeMar DeRozan, And
[1:38:03] Speaker 1: Al Horford, because they can sign both. You're saying that
[1:38:06] Speaker 1: 79 and team, adding DeMar and Horford, don't beat OKC. No.
[1:38:11] Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. They had the fucking opportunity to
[1:38:15] Speaker 1: do it. But they said, no, we need KD. What
[1:38:18] Speaker 1: the fuck?
[1:38:19] Speaker 10: If they wanted Al Horford, they would have never went
[1:38:22] Speaker 10: to KD.
[1:38:22] Speaker 1: They said, OK, our fans are winning. We don't want him.
[1:38:25] Speaker 1: We don't want KD. They're going to fly off. the
[1:38:30] Speaker 1: way to go see KD.
[1:38:31] Speaker 10: They're going to go see Al Harper, DeMar DeRozan.
[1:38:35] Speaker 1: They said, what we need to win is KD. There's
[1:38:39] Speaker 1: no other KD out there. Fly to fucking New York. KD,
[1:38:43] Speaker 1: how you doing? They're going to say, all y'all meet here.
[1:38:46] Speaker 1: We're going to meet with all y'all.
[1:38:47] Speaker 10: We ain't met with one person, because that's how they
[1:38:49] Speaker 10: knew they was going to win. So again, you're not.
[1:38:53] Speaker 1: Listening to me.
[1:38:54] Speaker 2: No, you're not listening.
[1:38:54] Speaker 1: You said Al O'Brien, DeMar. Stop. Stop, please.
[1:38:58] Speaker 7: Who went to the championship?
[1:39:02] Speaker 1: Come on, Nick. Don't do style.
[1:39:03] Speaker 2: No, stop. Who went to the championship?
[1:39:06] Speaker 1: Did Golden State beat OKC to go to the championship? Yes.
[1:39:14] Speaker 1: So if they did beat them already, and I add
[1:39:17] Speaker 1: DeMar DeRozan and Al Horford, how am I losing.
[1:39:22] Speaker 7: To OKC Steel? We're going to finish y'all off. We're
[1:39:27] Speaker 7: going to finish y'all off. Who are you saying they're
[1:39:30] Speaker 7: going to lose to? I'm talking about when I'm talking
[1:39:33] Speaker 7: about Golden State versus OKC the next year again, but
[1:39:37] Speaker 7: they added DeMar and Al Horford. He's saying that OKC
[1:39:43] Speaker 7: is going to beat Golden State Warriors.
[1:39:45] Speaker 1: We're not talking about LeBron James. No, we're not. We're
[1:39:47] Speaker 1: talking about OKC. OKC runs it back. Game five, they win.
[1:39:50] Speaker 2: I don't see them being... They don't fit that style.
[1:39:54] Speaker 1: I haven't seen Bernie Bill.
[1:39:57] Speaker 4: Brooks and KD on the same team did not make
[1:39:59] Speaker 4: the playoffs.
[1:40:01] Speaker 1: You just said, you just said, you just said OKC
[1:40:05] Speaker 1: beat Golden State. Boom, and flew it, and they got
[1:40:08] Speaker 1: a new player. They seen, they seen what happened.
[1:40:11] Speaker 2: OKC beat. Took us to the. Yeah, almost took us out.
[1:40:14] Speaker 1: I don't want nobody else by him.
[1:40:15] Speaker 2: OKC beat them.
[1:40:17] Speaker 1: Bruh. They almost did. I know you. I know you.
[1:40:24] Speaker 10: They add Al Horford, DeMar DeRozan, fucking Mike Conley.
[1:40:28] Speaker 1: They just add everybody. I know you got confused.
[1:40:30] Speaker 2: I know you got confused. I'll let it go.
[1:40:33] Speaker 1: You thought I was talking about Cleveland.
[1:40:35] Speaker 2: I get it.
[1:40:36] Speaker 7: So the real question is, if they did, if you're
[1:40:39] Speaker 7: saying they do be OKC, they do be OKC with
[1:40:42] Speaker 7: DeMar DeRozan and Al Horford.
[1:40:44] Speaker 1: The second year. They don't pick up KD. Do they
[1:40:47] Speaker 1: go beat Cleveland? No.
[1:40:48] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[1:40:49] Speaker 2: Oh, man.
[1:40:50] Speaker 1: I believe so.
[1:40:52] Speaker 2: Nobody cancel out LeBron.
[1:40:54] Speaker 1: It's the same conversation. No, no, no, no.
[1:40:56] Speaker 7: It's literally the same conversation. LeBron came back from 3-1
[1:41:00] Speaker 7: to beat you because you did not have a Kevin Durant.
[1:41:03] Speaker 2: Yeah, you need to cancel out LeBron. Listen.
[1:41:06] Speaker 1: No, didn't they lose because one thing got kicked out? No.
[1:41:08] Speaker 2: Who?
[1:41:09] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:41:10] Speaker 2: Okay.
[1:41:11] Speaker 1: It changed the series.
[1:41:12] Speaker 7: So didn't OKC lose because Russell Westbrook was in miscommunication
[1:41:17] Speaker 7: with KD?
[1:41:18] Speaker 1: No, no, no. Oh, that's communication problems. Oh, that's communication problems.
[1:41:23] Speaker 1: We're acting like the Golden State versus Cavs was actually series.
[1:41:31] Speaker 1: When they added Kevin Durant, it wasn't a series anymore.
[1:41:36] Speaker 1: Cavs was getting embarrassed. It was not close games. It wasn't.
[1:41:41] Speaker 1: KD hit the game winners two years in a row.
[1:41:44] Speaker 1: Game winners for a game. The games that matter. The
[1:41:47] Speaker 1: games that matter. The biggest games that matter. KD came out.
[1:41:51] Speaker 1: They were already up 3-0. They were up 2. I'm
[1:41:52] Speaker 1: saying KD cancels out LeBron and Steph cancels out Kyrie
[1:41:56] Speaker 1: and everybody else is On the words, meet Cleveland.
[1:42:08] Speaker 4: So if you ain't got nobody that can cancel out LeBron,
[1:42:11] Speaker 4: you don't win.
[1:42:13] Speaker 6: So you're telling me right now, Al Horford and DeMar DeRozan,
[1:42:16] Speaker 6: they added to the team.
[1:42:16] Speaker 2: They got David West to do the same shit as
[1:42:19] Speaker 2: Al Horford. Okay.
[1:42:22] Speaker 1: You know a little bit of hoop. You know a
[1:42:24] Speaker 1: little bit of hoop. You know a little bit of hoop.
[1:42:26] Speaker 1: It's almost like you were there. You know a little
[1:42:29] Speaker 1: bit of hoop. David West can do the same thing
[1:42:31] Speaker 1: as Al Horford? Yes. What? Pick and pop that with
[1:42:34] Speaker 1: his shit. What?
[1:42:36] Speaker 2: Three?
[1:42:37] Speaker 1: You shoot threes?
[1:42:39] Speaker 4: Our girlfriend started shooting threes until he was 40, 37.
[1:42:43] Speaker 1: Okay, game one, they beat him by damn near 22.
[1:42:48] Speaker 1: Game three, beat him by 19. Game one, they beat
[1:42:52] Speaker 1: him by 23. Game one, beat him by 19. The
[1:42:54] Speaker 1: closest game was five.
[1:42:57] Speaker 2: We know the backbreaker threes.
[1:42:59] Speaker 1: Five. We know the backbreaker. No love, no Kyrie.
[1:43:02] Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
[1:43:05] Speaker 1: Kevin Durant, I'm talking about when they got Kevin Durant,
[1:43:07] Speaker 1: it was no series.
[1:43:09] Speaker 2: It was blowouts.
[1:43:09] Speaker 1: 2017.
[1:43:10] Speaker 2: We're talking about 2017.
[1:43:13] Speaker 1: You didn't, like, these are blow, these are blow, these is...
[1:43:16] Speaker 1: Built to ass whoopings.
[1:43:18] Speaker 2: So KD didn't come down and hit the threes.
[1:43:19] Speaker 7: Thank you.
[1:43:20] Speaker 1: Those are moments.
[1:43:21] Speaker 7: He didn't come down. He didn't come down to hit
[1:43:24] Speaker 7: the threes. Let's stop.
[1:43:26] Speaker 6: Kevin Durant made a historical moment.
[1:43:29] Speaker 10: No, we're talking about why KD was finals MVP. We're
[1:43:33] Speaker 10: talking about why Kevin Durant was finals MVP.
[1:43:38] Speaker 1: He had moments. He changed the fucking game.
[1:43:41] Speaker 6: When they're up 3-1 and he came down and hit
[1:43:43] Speaker 6: the shot to close him out.
[1:43:44] Speaker 1: Game one, he had 38. I was there game three. Hey, Nick. Nick,
[1:43:49] Speaker 1: the last time. He did the three same time. Two times.
[1:43:52] Speaker 1: You're not, we're not, we're talking, what? You was 2018.
[1:43:54] Speaker 2: I'm not talking about 2018.
[1:43:56] Speaker 1: He hit the same shot in the same pool. I'm
[1:43:58] Speaker 1: talking about 2017, man. So even you talking about that. 3-1.
[1:44:02] Speaker 1: You're up. What happened the last year, the year before
[1:44:05] Speaker 1: this when y'all was up 3-1?
[1:44:07] Speaker 2: There was no Kevin Durant on the run.
[1:44:09] Speaker 1: There was no. But what happened?
[1:44:10] Speaker 7: When you were up 3-1, they came back. So, Kevin Durant,
[1:44:14] Speaker 7: let's make sure they don't do what they did last year.
[1:44:18] Speaker 1: Hit them niggas upside the head and send them home.
[1:44:21] Speaker 1: Give me that moment. Please. Moment. Send them home, KD.
[1:44:24] Speaker 7: Y'all don't have a chance to come back this time.
[1:44:27] Speaker 7: It was over before Kevin Durant.
[1:44:29] Speaker 1: It was over. It was over. Last year before that,
[1:44:32] Speaker 1: it was over. It was 3-1 the year before that.
[1:44:35] Speaker 1: It was over the same time. What was it?
[1:44:37] Speaker 6: They kicked Draymond Green out of the game. You're making
[1:44:39] Speaker 6: shit up now, man. They kicked Draymond Green out of
[1:44:41] Speaker 6: the game.
[1:44:41] Speaker 1: What are y'all talking about? It's the same exact shit.
[1:44:44] Speaker 1: I'm talking about he was overkill for that series in 2017,
[1:44:48] Speaker 1: the first year he got there. When he played against
[1:44:52] Speaker 1: the Cavs in 2017, meaning you're not on the team.
[1:44:54] Speaker 1: Game one, they damn near won by three. They won
[1:45:02] Speaker 1: by 20 something points. Game two, 20 something points, right?
[1:45:05] Speaker 1: Do you think this nigga needs some special shots? They
[1:45:08] Speaker 1: were up 3-1.
[1:45:09] Speaker 2: Thank you. They was up 3-1 a year before, too.
[1:45:12] Speaker 1: Who was? The Golden State Warriors, nigga.
[1:45:15] Speaker 2: What does that got to do.
[1:45:16] Speaker 1: With what I'm talking about? Because they lost 4-3. But
[1:45:18] Speaker 1: what does the fuck does that got to do with
[1:45:20] Speaker 1: what I'm talking about?
[1:45:21] Speaker 7: Because they need a Kevin Durant to make sure they
[1:45:23] Speaker 7: didn't come back to do the same thing that just
[1:45:25] Speaker 7: happened last year.
[1:45:26] Speaker 2: I said they need overkill.
[1:45:28] Speaker 1: So they brought in a guy who made sure there
[1:45:30] Speaker 1: was never going to be this again. Overkill. I'm winning
[1:45:34] Speaker 1: by 30 every game. We're not even going to play
[1:45:37] Speaker 1: no games. We're not even going to play no games.
[1:45:40] Speaker 1: It's overkill. If I'm winning by 20 in the finals
[1:45:42] Speaker 1: every game, it's overkill. That's overkill. I don't even want
[1:45:46] Speaker 1: closed games. Right. That's why I went to get the bazooka. Yeah.
[1:45:48] Speaker 2: That's why I went to go get it.
[1:45:49] Speaker 1: I want a guy who's going to score 38, 33, 31, 35, 39.
[1:45:51] Speaker 1: That's what I want.
[1:45:53] Speaker 7: The reason you got this overkill is because you couldn't
[1:45:58] Speaker 7: do that with no.
[1:45:59] Speaker 1: Al Horford and fucking Thank you. That's what I was saying.
[1:46:02] Speaker 1: You're not going to be able to be up there.
[1:46:03] Speaker 1: You know, that's it. You wanted that.
[1:46:06] Speaker 10: I'm about to beat OKC, bro.
[1:46:10] Speaker 2: Why do you keep trying to pretend I'm saying the Cavs?
[1:46:13] Speaker 7: Because that's who we're talking about right now.
[1:46:16] Speaker 1: The Cavs had money to sign a free agent. They
[1:46:19] Speaker 1: could have signed.
[1:46:20] Speaker 7: They didn't need to because they just came back from
[1:46:22] Speaker 7: fucking 3-1 and won. We can take them niggas out.
[1:46:26] Speaker 7: We ain't tripping on them. We don't need to reboot.
[1:46:28] Speaker 7: They do.
[1:46:29] Speaker 2: And they rebooted.
[1:46:30] Speaker 1: So if they and Kevin Durant, that's what we're talking about.
[1:46:33] Speaker 1: Kevin Durant stayed. Nigga, what the fuck is going on
[1:46:36] Speaker 1: with Golden State? They not a fucking problem at all.
[1:46:39] Speaker 1: We take care of them.
[1:46:40] Speaker 7: It's us against Cleveland now in the championship. We not
[1:46:43] Speaker 7: worried about the Warriors. 73-9, y'all blew it.
[1:46:46] Speaker 2: You see, that's why we say it's delusion.
[1:46:50] Speaker 1: You don't think your team is good enough because you
[1:46:53] Speaker 1: can't get a free agent. The only free agent you
[1:46:55] Speaker 1: can sign is your own player back. Golden State can
[1:46:58] Speaker 1: sign a max player or two players that are good players.
[1:47:03] Speaker 1: Cleveland has money also. Dwayne Wade was supposed to sign there,
[1:47:10] Speaker 1: but they had the same thoughts you had. We just
[1:47:12] Speaker 1: won it. We don't need no new players. So Golden
[1:47:15] Speaker 1: State went in and said, all right, y'all not signing nobody.
[1:47:17] Speaker 1: We're going to get Kevin Durant. Who are you going
[1:47:19] Speaker 1: to get now? Dwayne Wade thought he was going there.
[1:47:22] Speaker 1: He didn't go there. And they went and got Dunleavy.
[1:47:25] Speaker 7: Did the Cavs go back to the finals that next year?
[1:47:28] Speaker 1: Yeah. You want to know what the score was?
[1:47:30] Speaker 2: 4-1.
[1:47:31] Speaker 1: Did it go after that? Yeah, they went back to
[1:47:32] Speaker 1: next year.
[1:47:33] Speaker 7: So two straight years, they went back to the finals.
[1:47:35] Speaker 1: 4-1.
[1:47:35] Speaker 7: With a core team of Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Kevin Love.
[1:47:40] Speaker 1: Core.
[1:47:41] Speaker 7: The team that they beat, Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, and
[1:47:44] Speaker 7: motherfucking Draymond Green.
[1:47:47] Speaker 1: Core.
[1:47:48] Speaker 7: You keep their core together. You keep our core together.
[1:47:51] Speaker 7: We're going to do what we did to y'all. Y'all
[1:47:53] Speaker 7: had a magical season, 73-9. We spoiled that shit. You
[1:47:59] Speaker 7: had to add to your core three. We did not,
[1:48:03] Speaker 7: and we still came back to the finals.
[1:48:05] Speaker 1: To where we didn't have to add nothing. So y'all
[1:48:07] Speaker 1: not fucking To where we didn't have to add nothing. Yeah,
[1:48:12] Speaker 1: so y'all not fucking with us.
[1:48:13] Speaker 7: Yes.
[1:48:14] Speaker 1: No we did That's called.
[1:48:29] Speaker 7: No matter who I be, I got them.
[1:48:36] Speaker 1: Good business. So if you want to get back there
[1:48:39] Speaker 1: with the same team, good luck. There's a reason it
[1:48:43] Speaker 1: was 4-1, because you thought your team was that good.
[1:48:46] Speaker 1: And no Kyrie in 2018. And you should have got
[1:48:48] Speaker 1: somebody else, but you didn't. You felt like you was
[1:48:51] Speaker 1: going to do this, and you got your ass barbecued.
[1:48:53] Speaker 1: Hit across the head. Oh, they got Kevin Durant. We good.
[1:48:56] Speaker 1: Knocked out. It was a.
[1:49:01] Speaker 5: It's called good business.
[1:49:04] Speaker 1: You got all this money. Cavs had money to go
[1:49:07] Speaker 1: sign people. I thought we were talking about OKC.
[1:49:10] Speaker 2: No, you keep changing it.
[1:49:12] Speaker 1: We were talking about OKC.
[1:49:13] Speaker 7: You change it to the Cavs.
[1:49:15] Speaker 2: You see, now you're going back. Full circle.
[1:49:21] Speaker 1: We do a full circle.
[1:49:23] Speaker 2: I'm happy they did that.
[1:49:24] Speaker 1: I'm happy. I can play them with the wind. If
[1:49:28] Speaker 1: I could take third world ways to jump over a motherfucker,
[1:49:31] Speaker 1: I'm like the 90s baseball. Right? I'm going to take St.
[1:49:35] Speaker 1: Roy's and hit this ball off the park. Okay?
[1:49:38] Speaker 2: Off the park.
[1:49:38] Speaker 1: Off the park. Off that shit. No, what I'm saying
[1:49:41] Speaker 1: is off, it landed, it went in the water. You
[1:49:45] Speaker 1: remember back then in San Francisco, people brought boats to
[1:49:49] Speaker 1: catch the ball?
[1:49:50] Speaker 2: Yes. Right?
[1:49:52] Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck what you call me. I
[1:49:54] Speaker 1: love it.
[1:49:54] Speaker 2: I love it.
[1:49:56] Speaker 4: But he's not making a difference in beating Cleveland.
[1:50:00] Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I didn't say Cleveland. We're talking about OKC.
[1:50:04] Speaker 1: We're talking about OKC, beating OKC.
[1:50:07] Speaker 2: He started with OKC.
[1:50:08] Speaker 1: We didn't say nothing about Cleveland.
[1:50:09] Speaker 7: But you're going to have to play Cleveland after you
[1:50:11] Speaker 7: beat OKC, right?
[1:50:13] Speaker 1: Yeah. Right.
[1:50:13] Speaker 2: That means no championship for you. Yeah. You need one.
[1:50:17] Speaker 1: I was talking about beating OKC. That means no championship
[1:50:19] Speaker 1: for you.
[1:50:19] Speaker 3: I was saying beating OKC. I didn't say nothing about Cleveland.
[1:50:22] Speaker 3: One last thing we have to discuss before we wrap
[1:50:24] Speaker 3: up for the weekend. Katie also has some interesting comments
[1:50:27] Speaker 3: on personal hygiene.
[1:50:28] Speaker 2: That's my dog. Let's take a listen.
[1:50:30] Speaker 1: That's my dog.
[1:50:33] Speaker 2: I take showers.
[1:50:33] Speaker 13: You get too much money, man. That's what I would say.
[1:50:36] Speaker 13: What you mean? You get too much money, man. You
[1:50:38] Speaker 13: don't care about showering.
[1:50:39] Speaker 1: I shower.
[1:50:40] Speaker 2: I shower.
[1:50:40] Speaker 1: I love showering. But I might go a.
[1:50:43] Speaker 2: Day without two days. I might go two days sometimes
[1:50:45] Speaker 2: without two days. You know what I mean? Hopping in
[1:50:46] Speaker 2: that water, wait till I get.
[1:50:47] Speaker 1: To the gym. No, no, no, no, no, no. Shower pill?
[1:50:49] Speaker 2: Nah, KD, no.
[1:50:50] Speaker 1: I'm not saying I thought workout.
[1:50:51] Speaker 13: I'm not saying I thought workout. Not two days without
[1:50:54] Speaker 13: a shower. If I'm sitting in the house, like, I
[1:50:57] Speaker 13: might just want to go musty for the rest of
[1:50:59] Speaker 13: the day.
[1:50:59] Speaker 1: Wash your ass, man.
[1:51:00] Speaker 2: Wash your ass, man.
[1:51:02] Speaker 3: KD said if he's just sitting in the house not
[1:51:03] Speaker 3: doing shit, he might want to go musty for a
[1:51:05] Speaker 3: few days. Also said he rarely uses lotion except on
[1:51:07] Speaker 3: his hands. Got to feel it from the trenches. What
[1:51:12] Speaker 3: a pretty boy.
[1:51:13] Speaker 1: Where's these Stonewall niggas being built, man? Nah, man. Like,
[1:51:17] Speaker 1: I don't know, man. I'm sorry. How do y'all not
[1:51:19] Speaker 1: like it? I don't like it. I don't like it.
[1:51:20] Speaker 2: Oh, shit.
[1:51:21] Speaker 1: Let me love that, bro. Nigga just ashy. All in
[1:51:23] Speaker 1: here just ashy.
[1:51:24] Speaker 2: That nigga sticky. He's sticky. That's what it is.
[1:51:26] Speaker 1: That's sticky. That sweat is sticky. That's nasty.
[1:51:28] Speaker 2: That's what I'm feeling. That's ashy.
[1:51:32] Speaker 1: Gotta be manicured. No, I'm saying like, when you get
[1:51:35] Speaker 1: out of the shower, like, you don't like lotion to
[1:51:38] Speaker 1: make you... I'm a man, bro. Fuck all that.
[1:51:40] Speaker 7: You take a shit. Nigga, you post a shower after
[1:51:42] Speaker 7: you take a shit.
[1:51:43] Speaker 1: I'm a man.
[1:51:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, shower.
[1:51:44] Speaker 1: If you go to somebody's house and they got baby wipes, run.
[1:51:50] Speaker 1: You better run. Run. Run. The seat is nasty. Put
[1:51:52] Speaker 1: the toilet seat up. I like baby wipes. Baby wipes.
[1:51:54] Speaker 1: Baby wipes. Baby wipes. Baby wipes. Baby wipes. Baby wipes.
[1:51:57] Speaker 1: Baby wipes. Baby wipes. Baby wipes. Baby wipes.
[1:52:17] Speaker 3: Just to make sure you thoroughly cleanse the air. If
[1:52:18] Speaker 3: you're getting your oil changed, you want to thoroughly cleanse
[1:52:20] Speaker 3: the oil.
[1:52:21] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yes, baby wipes and if they ain't got water
[1:52:23] Speaker 1: in their house, get out. Oh, you're saying if they
[1:52:25] Speaker 1: don't have baby wipes. Yeah. If they don't have baby
[1:52:26] Speaker 1: wipes and water. Oh, wait. I thought you said if
[1:52:28] Speaker 1: they did have baby wipes.
[1:52:29] Speaker 2: No, no, no.
[1:52:30] Speaker 1: If you don't have baby wipes, you're trash. Yeah, if
[1:52:32] Speaker 1: you don't have baby wipes, you're trash. Oh, okay. I mean,
[1:52:34] Speaker 1: I'll give you that. Yeah, baby wipes and water. I
[1:52:35] Speaker 1: love water. Hey, do this for the camera. I'm a man, bro.
[1:52:39] Speaker 1: I ain't got to want to be pretty like that. No,
[1:52:41] Speaker 1: you got to show your camera. Me and my woman go, oh,
[1:52:43] Speaker 1: you put lotion on?
[1:52:44] Speaker 2: Come on.
[1:52:44] Speaker 1: Oh, I'm going to do a face mask with you.
[1:52:47] Speaker 1: I'll tell you like this. The do-do wipe. It ain't tough.
[1:52:50] Speaker 1: It ain't tough getting a manicure. That's how you learn someday.
[1:52:54] Speaker 1: Get baby wipes. Y'all be like this.
[1:52:57] Speaker 2: Getting a manicure.
[1:52:58] Speaker 1: But do you flush them down the toilet?
[1:52:59] Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
[1:52:59] Speaker 1: Can you make it clear?
[1:53:00] Speaker 2: Damn.
[1:53:01] Speaker 1: Can you make it clear? Clear?
[1:53:02] Speaker 2: Who's doing the clear going?
[1:53:04] Speaker 1: No, we're saying lotion, Nick.
[1:53:07] Speaker 2: No, man.
[1:53:07] Speaker 1: We're saying lotion, Nick. Like this on the phone like this. Nick,
[1:53:10] Speaker 1: how can you get your fingers under that?
[1:53:11] Speaker 2: Motion your hands.
[1:53:13] Speaker 1: And then you got the shit between your toes. Uh-huh.
[1:53:16] Speaker 2: That's etiquette. That's etiquette.
[1:53:18] Speaker 1: Bro, you got hands like a mechanic. You got hands
[1:53:20] Speaker 1: like a mechanic, bro.
[1:53:21] Speaker 2: My man, bro.
[1:53:21] Speaker 1: Not washing your ass. All that man shit that you
[1:53:23] Speaker 1: still shower, bro.
[1:53:33] Speaker 7: You can't be shitting and then sitting around for two days.
[1:53:37] Speaker 2: I'm not talking about the lotion part.
[1:53:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, put the lotion on, man. How you doing, Mr. Jones?
[1:53:43] Speaker 1: You see what I'm doing? You got them Beverly hands, man.
[1:53:49] Speaker 2: I grew up in a different household.
[1:53:50] Speaker 1: We know.
[1:53:51] Speaker 2: Dirty D. I'm a lamb and tammy type.
[1:53:54] Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
[1:53:55] Speaker 2: You should learn from your daddy, but you want to
[1:53:57] Speaker 2: impress these people. You know my daddy. Brother, He wanted
[1:54:01] Speaker 2: to be a pretty boy.
[1:54:03] Speaker 1: So shower after doodling.
[1:54:04] Speaker 2: Keep doodle wipes at the house.
[1:54:06] Speaker 1: Doodle wipes and water.
[1:54:07] Speaker 2: What's the longest you can go without shower?
[1:54:08] Speaker 1: Shower every day, twice a day.
[1:54:10] Speaker 7: So two showers. Shower twice a day. Wake up, shower
[1:54:14] Speaker 7: before you go to bed.
[1:54:15] Speaker 1: Shower. If you work out in the middle of the day,
[1:54:18] Speaker 1: shower after. After your workout.
[1:54:19] Speaker 2: You can go.
[1:54:20] Speaker 7: To your closet, take shit to go to the gym
[1:54:23] Speaker 7: in your gym bag. That's why it's called a gym bag.
[1:54:25] Speaker 7: Take a shower in the morning. Take a shower after
[1:54:29] Speaker 7: you golf and then take a bath with your girl.
[1:54:31] Speaker 1: What if you have a morning workout?
[1:54:32] Speaker 3: You shower before the morning workout or you just knock
[1:54:34] Speaker 3: the morning workout out, then shower.
[1:54:36] Speaker 1: After the morning workout?
[1:54:37] Speaker 2: All you got to do is shower.
[1:54:38] Speaker 1: I got to use the shower to wake up. So
[1:54:40] Speaker 1: I jump in the shower to wake up, then I
