The Los Angeles Lakers' MAJOR Injuries SILENCE Gil's Arena as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew react to Luka Doncic & Austin Reaves going down with major injuries that knocked them out of the remainder of the NBA Season and debate if the LeBron James & the Lakers are cooked with their 2 best played sidelined heading into the NBA Playoffs. They also discuss if Luka Doncic should be given a special exemption to the NBA's 65 game minimum rule as Slovenian Jesus will miss out from regular season awards by just one game and debate if JJ Redick deserves more blame for playing Luka & Reaves deep into the Lakers' blowout loss to the OKC Thunder. Next, they highlight what may go down as the NBA's game of the year as Victor Wembanyama & Nikola Jokic faced off in an incredible showdown to cement a rivalry between the 2 European MVP Candidates and preview what may be an all time NBA Playoff matchup. They also react to Wemby going down with a bruised rib and discuss if there should be concern for the French phenom heading into his 1st NBA Playoff series before debating if the Spurs should roll out their superstar for 1 more game to make him eligible for regular season awards. Finally, they react to Cooper Flagg ending the debate for the NBA's rookie of the year as the Dallas Mavericks' young superstar made history with back to back 40 point games including a 50 burger to spring himself over Kon Knueppel as the league's best rookie. [0:05] Speaker 2: Whoa, whoa! Whoa, whoa. This is him.
[0:07] Speaker 1: This is him.
[0:08] Speaker 2: It's special because of him.
[0:09] Speaker 3: Having a very spirited rules discussion.
[0:11] Speaker 2: This is special cases. You can't dive, get up, and dribble.
[0:15] Speaker 2: Just pretend it didn't happen. You know, like, you know.
[0:18] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[0:18] Speaker 2: It's like watching a six-year-old come down and travel. You
[0:20] Speaker 2: just let it go. It's a record. And be with
[0:23] Speaker 2: a five-step step back. Yeah. Oh, man. All right.
[0:28] Speaker 3: How's everybody feeling? We got a full couch here today
[0:31] Speaker 3: on this glorious Tuesday.
[0:34] Speaker 4: I've been cooking, though. Can somebody be in their prime
[0:37] Speaker 4: in 40? I feel like it lately.
[0:39] Speaker 1: What you been cooking?
[0:40] Speaker 2: What, Creators League? What you been cooking? Creators League, I
[0:46] Speaker 2: came back. Oh, yeah, we did. Oh, yeah, we did
[0:47] Speaker 2: cook at Creators League.
[0:49] Speaker 1: We did.
[0:50] Speaker 2: We did. Played in the what? BJ. I'm sorry, BJ. Yeah, what?
[0:55] Speaker 2: I got the DMs, man. Played in what? You was cooking.
[1:00] Speaker 2: He was getting cooked. Where? In the Craters League? The
[1:03] Speaker 2: first game. In Wisconsin. He went all the way to Wisconsin, man. Oh,
[1:06] Speaker 2: in Racine. I was hooping in Racine. Yeah, man. I
[1:09] Speaker 2: was hooping. Yeah. We lost every game. Good. Me and Tristan, Jess, yeah,
[1:14] Speaker 2: we got.
[1:14] Speaker 5: They whooped our ass at Caron Butler. No, I ain't
[1:17] Speaker 5: going to lie.
[1:20] Speaker 1: They whooped our ass.
[1:21] Speaker 2: We went all the way to Racine to get Caron Butler.
[1:24] Speaker 2: Got cooked again.
[1:27] Speaker 6: They got it out for me.
[1:28] Speaker 1: I was telling.
[1:29] Speaker 2: They got it out for me out there. I got
[1:31] Speaker 2: it back in the cradle. Yeah, he did. He did. Sorry.
[1:34] Speaker 2: But this is Gil's Arena presented by Underdog. Whoop, whoop. Whoop, whoop.
[1:38] Speaker 3: I'm merely your host, Josiah Johnson. We got NBA legend.
[1:41] Speaker 3: Are you still Art Grader's most wanted good? Has anybody
[1:43] Speaker 3: lit you up yet?
[1:44] Speaker 2: No, no, no.
[1:44] Speaker 5: They came after Friday. It was like 8, 9, 10,
[1:48] Speaker 5: 20 of them.
[1:49] Speaker 2: I don't know. We just killed everybody. All right, whoop.
[1:51] Speaker 5: So they had to regroup, and then they told me
[1:53] Speaker 5: to give them another chance this Friday coming up.
[1:57] Speaker 2: So look, if you's a Slimer, if you don't like people,
[2:02] Speaker 2: come join me. All right?
[2:04] Speaker 5: They're giving us blueprints if we survive. two hours straight, surviving.
[2:09] Speaker 1: That means something to somebody, but we got Art Raiders,
[2:11] Speaker 1: most wanted, Gilbert Arenas, back here, Limers.
[2:15] Speaker 2: What are you talking about? That means something to somebody. Damn.
[2:22] Speaker 2: Whoever know what he talking about, man. It's a new community, man.
[2:25] Speaker 2: It's a new community, man. Show your arts in the chat.
[2:28] Speaker 2: We all like, man, what are you talking about? What's
[2:30] Speaker 2: the blueprint?
[2:31] Speaker 3: Speaking of terminology, see you the next game. We got
[2:34] Speaker 3: NBA champion of the world.
[2:35] Speaker 1: Say it.
[2:35] Speaker 2: What? In his prime. See you next to Gil.
[2:38] Speaker 1: In his prime, we got NBA champion of the world,
[2:40] Speaker 1: Swaggy D-Nick Young back here with us.
[2:43] Speaker 2: I'm going by many names now.
[2:46] Speaker 3: Representing tough crowd, car-carrying country club member, we got Mr. B,
[2:50] Speaker 3: Brandon Jennings. On this side of the couch, the distinguished
[2:55] Speaker 3: gentleman from Oak Cliff, former number one pick, Kenya.
[2:57] Speaker 2: Martin back here with us.
[3:03] Speaker 3: And last but not least, the man they call Cemetery Larry,
[3:06] Speaker 3: NCAA champion of the world, Dr.
[3:08] Speaker 2: Rashad McCants, PhD.
[3:09] Speaker 1: You got it right this time.
[3:14] Speaker 2: UNC got a new head coach. That was easy.
[3:17] Speaker 1: It's always easy.
[3:19] Speaker 2: It's always easy. All right. Well, we got a lot
[3:22] Speaker 2: to discuss.
[3:22] Speaker 3: Here's what's cracking in Gil's arena today. Wimby and Jokic
[3:26] Speaker 3: faced off for the first time this season. Jokic improving
[3:30] Speaker 3: to 5-2 against the young French Phrenom. What statement did
[3:33] Speaker 3: the three-time MVP make? He is still burping babies, can't
[3:36] Speaker 3: you just? I was in Los Angeles. He shifted to
[3:39] Speaker 3: San Antonio. Speaking of Wimby, he suffered a bruised rib
[3:44] Speaker 3: in the Spurs' 60th win over the Sixers. Should San
[3:47] Speaker 3: Antonio let the alien play one more game to be
[3:50] Speaker 3: award eligible? And last but not least, the Lakers will
[3:54] Speaker 3: be without Luka and Austin Reeves for at least the
[3:56] Speaker 3: rest of the regular season. Are the purple and gold cooked?
[4:00] Speaker 3: But before we get into all that, as always, this
[4:02] Speaker 3: show is brought to you by Underdog. Underdog's available in
[4:04] Speaker 3: most states, including Texas, California, and Florida. New customers get

[4:42] Speaker 2: Somebody made the hat, Gil, and sent it to you? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[4:47] Speaker 1: I forgot what I had.
[4:48] Speaker 2: You forgot what you had?
[4:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, I forgot what I had.
[4:51] Speaker 7: So you're just going to fucking goddamn, that cost you 50, huh?
[4:55] Speaker 7: The pole that cost you 50 games, huh? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[4:59] Speaker 7: You're trying to make the front race hit. They can't
[5:01] Speaker 7: use it against you.
[5:03] Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Go to the ring one on one. Yeah. I'm
[5:10] Speaker 2: just going to make merch out of my moment. It's
[5:13] Speaker 2: a detriment moment.
[5:14] Speaker 7: These people are crazy, man.
[5:17] Speaker 2: Diabolical, man.
[5:19] Speaker 3: But let's get into some NBA action. The present and
[5:22] Speaker 3: the future faced off in Denver this weekend. Three-time MVP
[5:25] Speaker 3: Nikola Jokic going head-to-head with MVP advocate Victor Wimbinyama for
[5:29] Speaker 3: the first time this season. Spurs ended the matchup with
[5:32] Speaker 3: the league best 27-2 record since February 1st. One of
[5:36] Speaker 3: those losses. coming to the Nuggets on March 12th. Winby
[5:39] Speaker 3: did not play in that one. San Antonio had won
[5:41] Speaker 3: 11 straight since that game. Meanwhile, Denver was riding a
[5:44] Speaker 3: seven-game winning streak of their own. This potential playoff matchup
[5:47] Speaker 3: definitely had a playoff feel as both teams did not
[5:50] Speaker 3: disappoint in what turned out to be one of the
[5:52] Speaker 3: best games of the season. Let's take a look at
[5:54] Speaker 3: some highlights, if we can, please. Jokic came through with
[5:57] Speaker 3: another monster performance and showed why many still think he's
[6:00] Speaker 3: the best player in the world.
[6:02] Speaker 2: Joker put up 40 points.
[6:04] Speaker 3: A 13 assist with not a near nutter turnover, eight
[6:07] Speaker 3: boards and three blocks in 44 minutes of action. It
[6:11] Speaker 3: was his fifth 40-point game this season and first in
[6:14] Speaker 3: the year, our Lord, 2026. Wimby did his thing as well.
[6:17] Speaker 3: Wimby had 34 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists and five
[6:20] Speaker 3: blocks in a season-high tying 40 minutes. The alien eight
[6:24] Speaker 3: for 17 from the field. 16 for 17 from the line.
[6:28] Speaker 3: It was his third straight game with at least 30 points,
[6:30] Speaker 3: 15 rebounds, and three blocks, which is tied for the
[6:33] Speaker 3: second longest streak since blocks started getting tracked in the
[6:36] Speaker 3: 73-74 season. Spurs led by as much as 11 in
[6:40] Speaker 3: the final frame. Makes it that bucket right there, and
[6:45] Speaker 3: we're up by as much as six with over a
[6:48] Speaker 3: minute to play, but then the Nuggets started roaring back.
[6:52] Speaker 2: Yeah, you see it. Burping babies. As Kenyon likes to say.
[6:57] Speaker 5: New baby on the block. New baby at the daycare, baby. So,
[7:03] Speaker 5: like I said, Spurs were up six. Nuggets came back.
[7:06] Speaker 5: Younger dimed up Aaron Gordon.
[7:08] Speaker 1: It's the move right here.
[7:09] Speaker 3: That game time bucket. Wimby had a chance to win
[7:11] Speaker 3: it in regulation. Missed the shot. Went to overtime. And
[7:15] Speaker 3: in overtime, Younger took over scoring seven of the Nuggets.
[7:18] Speaker 2: 12 points. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
[7:20] Speaker 2: Including this fadeaway over Wimby to put the Nuggets up
[7:23] Speaker 2: four with.
[7:23] Speaker 7: A minute remaining. In the words of the great Chuckie Atkins.
[7:26] Speaker 3: And then he hit this floater over the Frenchman as well.
[7:32] Speaker 3: Ten seconds left to put the game out of reach.
[7:34] Speaker 3: Nugget snapped. The Spurs, 11-game winning streak, got their eighth
[7:37] Speaker 3: straight win in the process. So after the game, both
[7:39] Speaker 3: Jokic and Wimby had high praise for each other.
[7:42] Speaker 8: I think the first time I played against him, I
[7:44] Speaker 8: told you guys that he's going to change the league
[7:46] Speaker 8: and he's going to change basketball. And I still think that.
[7:52] Speaker 2: And I think.
[7:53] Speaker 8: He has the opportunity and chance to be the most
[7:55] Speaker 8: unique basketball player to ever play the game.
[7:57] Speaker 9: Obviously, I mean, they got the best offensive player in
[8:01] Speaker 9: the world. So when you come into these games, you
[8:05] Speaker 9: always have to be focused on defense because you don't
[8:08] Speaker 9: want to, like, they've been the best offense of the past,
[8:12] Speaker 9: I don't know, five years, maybe, I don't know, for
[8:17] Speaker 9: a reason. So we have to be, to come into
[8:20] Speaker 9: the game, defensive-minded. I think we did a pretty good job.
[8:28] Speaker 9: It was a real fun game, and we're going to
[8:30] Speaker 9: recognize that.
[8:33] Speaker 3: Coming into this matchup, the Spurs were 48-2 this season
[8:36] Speaker 3: when holding a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter. They're
[8:39] Speaker 3: now 48-3 with two of those losses coming from the
[8:41] Speaker 3: Nuggets in the past three weeks. So, Gil, I know
[8:44] Speaker 3: we don't like to talk about statement games, but it's
[8:47] Speaker 3: one of the best games of the season. What statement
[8:49] Speaker 3: did Jokic and Wimby make in their first meeting this season?
[8:53] Speaker 5: Statement for each other or the message for each other
[9:01] Speaker 5: I mean they both played phenomenal basketball um Jokic is
[9:06] Speaker 5: a three-time MVP he's averaging 37 against him so you
[9:12] Speaker 5: know the.
[9:12] Speaker 2: Fact that that's what he does um.
[9:18] Speaker 5: There's no statement need to be made. I think those
[9:21] Speaker 5: trophies is what the statement is.
[9:23] Speaker 2: You know, Winby showing that he can, you know, fight
[9:30] Speaker 2: and defend his own. You know, most of these guys,
[9:33] Speaker 2: you know, seen him the rookie year. They embarrassed him.
[9:38] Speaker 2: Sophomore year kind of got hurt this year. Still saying embarrassment, but.
[9:43] Speaker 5: He's getting better offensively in trying to figure out what.
[9:46] Speaker 2: His game is.
[9:48] Speaker 5: And what I got to ask Kenyon, you know, as
[9:56] Speaker 5: a defensive player, he's defensive. player of the year, and
[10:02] Speaker 5: we see the impact defensively that he puts in a game.
[10:07] Speaker 5: My question is, individually, can he actually contain his man?
[10:15] Speaker 2: Like all the guys. Those two guys he got a
[10:17] Speaker 2: problem with. All the guys that are scores at that position,
[10:21] Speaker 2: he has problems with. Like, so is he like just
[10:25] Speaker 2: a great help side defender, right, until he gets a
[10:28] Speaker 2: little stronger?
[10:28] Speaker 7: I don't know how much stronger he is. He's light
[10:33] Speaker 7: in the frame. What they do a good job is
[10:38] Speaker 7: getting into his body, eliminating, you know, they're taking that
[10:42] Speaker 7: jumping ability away for him to.
[10:43] Speaker 2: Block shots on the ball.
[10:46] Speaker 7: I've seen he's only had, there's only two bigs that
[10:49] Speaker 7: he has, well, one and a half bigs that he
[10:52] Speaker 7: has problems with because Joel is not as available as
[10:56] Speaker 7: we would hope. But certain guys are better off ball
[11:03] Speaker 7: than they are on ball. And I think he's a
[11:06] Speaker 7: better off ball, better being in areas and affecting the
[11:11] Speaker 7: game in that manner than on ball right now.
[11:15] Speaker 2: From what I've seen.
[11:18] Speaker 7: But the job doesn't require him to be that anymore, right?
[11:25] Speaker 7: It's only a couple times a year, unless they have
[11:27] Speaker 7: to play, then win the playoffs again, then you know
[11:31] Speaker 7: what that's going to be, right? So I think he,
[11:35] Speaker 7: Joel scored 70 against him. That was, and then you got...
[11:43] Speaker 7: Nicole today.
[11:46] Speaker 5: I mean, he could have won defensive player of the
[11:48] Speaker 5: year that year, too. It's just like little things like.
[11:51] Speaker 2: It's off ball, though. Like I look at little things
[11:53] Speaker 2: like one mannerisms.
[11:54] Speaker 5: Right. But that's come with age. Every time somebody scores
[11:56] Speaker 5: on him, he gets down on himself.
[11:58] Speaker 2: Right. That's just youth.
[12:00] Speaker 5: But one thing that I'm seeing him do a lot
[12:03] Speaker 5: of is when he challenges a ball, he's taken off
[12:07] Speaker 5: like he's a guard. Yeah, that's... Like, he plays like
[12:10] Speaker 5: he's Kerry Kittles.
[12:11] Speaker 2: He challenges and keeps going. Like, yo, you know you're
[12:13] Speaker 2: the big man still. Like, you know what I mean? Like,
[12:16] Speaker 2: if they get the offensive rebound, like, they're going to
[12:18] Speaker 2: put it back. You're not there. So, he just... He
[12:20] Speaker 2: challenges and keeps going for the outlet pass. I'm like, eh.
[12:24] Speaker 5: You got to stay locked in on... You know, especially,
[12:26] Speaker 5: you know, moving forward. But those are just, like, little
[12:28] Speaker 5: things that could be awkward.
[12:30] Speaker 2: Dominant-wise.
[12:31] Speaker 7: There's only a couple guys you got to worry about. He's...
[12:34] Speaker 7: The way the game is, everybody's all over the place.
[12:37] Speaker 1: And so.
[12:38] Speaker 2: That's why he's... Like, he's a dominant force, though. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[12:43] Speaker 5: Just being out there. Like, if he played 39 minutes
[12:45] Speaker 5: a game, this league is over with.
[12:48] Speaker 2: That is clear.
[12:49] Speaker 5: Like, it's clear. Like, he's doing this in 27 minutes.
[12:52] Speaker 5: If he played an extra 11, 12 minutes a game.
[12:54] Speaker 2: You're giving me a minute. I'd say 34. Yeah. 34,
[12:59] Speaker 2: 35 minutes a night. It's easy.
[13:00] Speaker 3: I mean, it's... Play 40 in this one with overtime.
[13:03] Speaker 5: Yeah, this league is his. there's really nothing nobody's going
[13:06] Speaker 5: to be able to do once he starts. When we
[13:08] Speaker 5: had an injury, but we're talking about this game first,
[13:10] Speaker 5: then we'll move forward. But play 40 minutes against the
[13:11] Speaker 5: Nuggets for swag. When you see Wimby and Jokic going
[13:15] Speaker 5: at each other like that, what statement did both those
[13:17] Speaker 5: guys make in that game? Both said it had a
[13:19] Speaker 5: playoff-type feel.
[13:22] Speaker 4: The playoffs is going to be fun. I like the
[13:27] Speaker 4: energy in Wimmy Brown, for real, as a young player
[13:30] Speaker 4: going up against Joker, somebody– considered one of the best
[13:36] Speaker 4: players in the game and didn't back down. But, you know,
[13:42] Speaker 4: Joker still showed them who's number one right now until,
[13:46] Speaker 4: you know, probably next year or the year after. But
[13:51] Speaker 4: I think Joker should have moved up in the MVP
[13:54] Speaker 4: race after that for sure to number two for me.
[14:02] Speaker 4: Some people could have put him number one. But, yeah,
[14:06] Speaker 4: that was a statement game as for the MVP race,
[14:09] Speaker 4: I feel, too.
[14:10] Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
[14:10] Speaker 5: Do you feel like Joker should have campaigned? After that.
[14:14] Speaker 5: This is your MVP? That's what he should have said
[14:18] Speaker 5: after that last shot.
[14:20] Speaker 3: And Wimby previously said he didn't think, I mean, he
[14:22] Speaker 3: said Joker's best offensive player in the league, but said
[14:24] Speaker 3: he doesn't think he's the best player in the league.
[14:25] Speaker 3: Gave that distinction to SGA and Giannis.
[14:27] Speaker 2: Yeah. Wait a second.
[14:29] Speaker 3: Wimby had previously said that he thought SGA and Giannis...
[14:33] Speaker 3: with the best players in the league. Got respect for
[14:35] Speaker 3: Yelkins to say he's the best offensive player in the league,
[14:37] Speaker 3: but from a two-way standpoint, does not have that respect
[14:41] Speaker 3: from Wimby.
[14:42] Speaker 7: That's why you're averaging 37 every time he... That's why
[14:45] Speaker 7: you're putting belt to ass every time he see you.
[14:47] Speaker 7: I'm going to show you who the best offensive player is.
[14:49] Speaker 7: I don't understand. I don't understand.
[14:54] Speaker 5: I don't like that when people say two-way, they're The
[15:02] Speaker 5: examples that they're using is the wrong examples.
[15:06] Speaker 2: Two-way players were very.
[15:10] Speaker 5: High-level scorers, top two, three in the league, and they
[15:14] Speaker 5: were first-team defense. First-team defense, and you average 21, 22, 23,
[15:24] Speaker 5: you're on the lower end of a two-way player. You're
[15:26] Speaker 5: in that Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler area. Like two-way players,
[15:31] Speaker 5: when we think about the Colbys, the Kim Elijah ones,
[15:34] Speaker 5: the Shaquille O'Neals, the Colby, the Jordans, those guys are
[15:40] Speaker 5: top two, three in scoring. They're averaging 29, 30 in scoring,
[15:44] Speaker 5: and they're locking down on defense. You know, some of
[15:48] Speaker 5: these guys are defensive players that can put the ball
[15:50] Speaker 5: in the basket.
[15:51] Speaker 2: A little bit.
[15:53] Speaker 5: So when you're talking about two-way, when we think of two-way,
[15:55] Speaker 5: you have to be top tier at both categories. So
[15:59] Speaker 5: would you put SGA in that category? Obviously, Giannis belongs
[16:02] Speaker 5: in that category. SGA would be in there. I mean,
[16:04] Speaker 5: he still has to make first team all defense. The
[16:07] Speaker 5: same thing with Jalen Brown. Jalen Brown jumped in, too,
[16:09] Speaker 5: because he's holding it down and scoring this year. You know,
[16:12] Speaker 5: there's just different levels of just saying everybody's a two-way player.
[16:16] Speaker 1: You know?
[16:17] Speaker 5: Like, when I think two-way, I'm thinking, when we think two-way,
[16:19] Speaker 5: we're thinking the top tiers. And that top tier is
[16:23] Speaker 5: you're leading the league in scoring and you're defending people.
[16:27] Speaker 2: I don't agree with that, Gil.
[16:30] Speaker 7: I think Klay, because Klay is considered that.
[16:33] Speaker 1: Yeah, Klay.
[16:34] Speaker 7: You threw Klay in that conversation. Klay don't fit that
[16:37] Speaker 7: lower tier of two-way player. Klay was locking shit down
[16:41] Speaker 7: and giving you 23 a night.
[16:42] Speaker 2: 23 a night, yeah.
[16:43] Speaker 7: But that's 23 a night ain't nothing that knows that.
[16:46] Speaker 2: Yeah, you're 20, 21.
[16:46] Speaker 7: But you don't have to lead the league in scoring
[16:49] Speaker 7: to be considered a two-way guy.
[16:50] Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
[16:51] Speaker 7: A top five NBA scorer and you still locking shit
[16:54] Speaker 7: down and you putting up a dub a night, you're
[16:56] Speaker 7: considered a two-way player.
[16:57] Speaker 5: No, that's what we walked it down to.
[17:00] Speaker 2: We walked it down to the clays and stuff. That's
[17:03] Speaker 2: what it is. When we said two ways back in
[17:06] Speaker 2: the 90s, it was the top scorers that defended. Give
[17:10] Speaker 2: me who? Kareem, everyone. Everyone you can name back in
[17:13] Speaker 2: the 90s.
[17:13] Speaker 7: He wasn't considered a lockdown. We didn't consider Kareem a
[17:17] Speaker 7: two-way player. He played the five. Blocks, they don't go.
[17:22] Speaker 7: He wasn't a first-team all-defensive player? But he's a five.
[17:25] Speaker 7: He ain't locking shit down. Hakeem Olajuwon.
[17:27] Speaker 2: He ain't locking. He is a five.
[17:30] Speaker 5: I would put Hakeem in that. He led the league
[17:32] Speaker 5: in steals and blocks, yes.
[17:35] Speaker 2: It's the same thing.
[17:36] Speaker 7: But I'm not going to put Kareem in that category.
[17:38] Speaker 7: I'm going to put Klay in that category. But you're
[17:40] Speaker 7: putting Wendy in that category, right? Scottie Pippen.
[17:43] Speaker 2: I'll put him in that category. Yeah, see, Scottie Pippen, yeah.
[17:45] Speaker 2: I'll put him in that category. That's the lower tier.
[17:47] Speaker 2: But he's not lower tier. What the fuck is about
[17:50] Speaker 2: Scottie's lower tier? That's a two-way.
[17:53] Speaker 5: What about Scottie Pippen being a six-time champion and an
[17:56] Speaker 5: Olympian and being a lockdown defender and being able to
[18:00] Speaker 5: score his lower tier? A lockdown defender being able to score.
[18:04] Speaker 5: What's lower tier about him?
[18:05] Speaker 2: On offense. On offense. How?
[18:08] Speaker 5: You're averaging 21. What is lower tier about that? Who
[18:12] Speaker 5: besides Jordan.
[18:14] Speaker 7: Was averaging 30 consistently?
[18:16] Speaker 2: Kobe. Kobe. No, you named before then. You named Kareem.
[18:20] Speaker 2: You named Kareem.
[18:21] Speaker 1: Kareem. You named guys before these new guys.
[18:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, all the guys. But you named the 90s. You
[18:25] Speaker 2: said 90s. Huh? So consider two-way guys?
[18:29] Speaker 5: When they came up with the idea, when they started
[18:31] Speaker 5: using the word two-way, it was scores, high-level scores that
[18:36] Speaker 5: defended the ass off, too.
[18:38] Speaker 2: Who makes it so? Is Ron Artest considered a lower tier?
[18:42] Speaker 2: Score on offense.
[18:43] Speaker 1: Mm-mm.
[18:44] Speaker 5: He's a two-way player. He's a two-way player. There's no distinction.
[18:49] Speaker 2: I'm not putting.
[18:51] Speaker 1: I.
[18:51] Speaker 5: Know what he's saying. I know what he's saying, but
[18:59] Speaker 5: I don't agree with it.
[19:00] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. I hear him, but I don't
[19:03] Speaker 2: agree with.
[19:03] Speaker 5: Saying that guys like Klay and other guys that average.
[19:07] Speaker 2: 22, 23 and can lock down a lower tier at anything.
[19:13] Speaker 2: Because it ain't easy to average 23, 24 in his league.
[19:16] Speaker 2: You act like it is. It's not. Andre Iguodala was
[19:18] Speaker 2: a two-way player. So he played on the same level
[19:20] Speaker 2: as Paul George as a two-way player? Yes.
[19:21] Speaker 1: Paul George is a two-way player?
[19:24] Speaker 6: Paul George is a two-way player.
[19:25] Speaker 2: Andre Iguodala. I know, but are they on the same level?
[19:29] Speaker 2: Paul George as an offensive player. He had a chance
[19:31] Speaker 2: to be number one. He was the number one, right? Right.
[19:34] Speaker 2: Has Klay ever been a number one?
[19:36] Speaker 1: No.
[19:36] Speaker 2: That's my point. I know.
[19:38] Speaker 5: If Klay was ever put in a position to be
[19:39] Speaker 5: number one, I think it would be.
[19:41] Speaker 2: Drew Holiday. Drew Holiday. Drew Holiday. I know, but that's
[19:46] Speaker 2: a high. That's an elite. That's where Paul George.
[19:50] Speaker 7: If he had the opportunity to be a number one, right,
[19:53] Speaker 7: and everything ran through him.
[19:55] Speaker 6: It would be on the same level.
[19:56] Speaker 2: He would.
[19:56] Speaker 5: Yes. But just because the guy that they have an
[20:01] Speaker 5: MVP candidate in Steph, who's the number one. I'm still
[20:08] Speaker 5: elite at what I do on both sides of the ball. No,
[20:11] Speaker 5: you are, but you're not on that level. Yes, he is.
[20:13] Speaker 2: No, you're not.
[20:14] Speaker 5: Yes, he is.
[20:14] Speaker 2: Because you can't score like me. He's locking down the
[20:16] Speaker 2: same defense. Yes, he is. You can't score like me. Yes,
[20:18] Speaker 2: I can.
[20:19] Speaker 5: I just don't have the opportunity to because we want
[20:21] Speaker 5: to play this with another guy.
[20:22] Speaker 6: You can't.
[20:22] Speaker 2: You can't score like me. Yes, I can. I just have...
[20:25] Speaker 2: Who can't? That can't be. Why not? Because it doesn't
[20:28] Speaker 2: make sense.
[20:28] Speaker 5: Paul George is up here on offense and defense, and
[20:31] Speaker 5: you're down here on offense. How is he down where?
[20:34] Speaker 5: Because you're scoring. You're not on the same level as
[20:37] Speaker 5: me on the score. I'm on the MVP level.
[20:39] Speaker 2: So you take no distinction that.
[20:44] Speaker 1: Steph Curry plays on the same team.
[20:46] Speaker 2: That's not my problem. I'm asking you a question.
[20:47] Speaker 5: Dwayne Wade was a two-way player.
[20:50] Speaker 2: So it ain't a problem.
[20:51] Speaker 5: No, but you're not on my level. You're not on
[20:53] Speaker 5: my level, though. Steph is the number one player, right?
[20:56] Speaker 2: Okay. On that team.
[20:57] Speaker 7: And he has been the number one while we're talking
[20:59] Speaker 7: about Klay doing what he was doing, right?
[21:01] Speaker 2: Okay.
[21:01] Speaker 7: Making all defensive teams. Yes or no? Klay was making
[21:06] Speaker 7: all defensive teams.
[21:07] Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah.
[21:08] Speaker 1: He ain't got the offense that poor.
[21:11] Speaker 5: Because the plays don't run for him.
[21:14] Speaker 2: But that's not the argument. The argument is he is
[21:16] Speaker 2: an elite. He's a two-way player.
[21:18] Speaker 5: Y'all separating two-way player from– I heard a two-way player
[21:28] Speaker 5: and who was I don't know when the first time
[21:30] Speaker 5: I heard a two-way player Gil Scottie but my vision
[21:34] Speaker 5: don't love the way I what the way I watch
[21:35] Speaker 5: the game it don't lie to me I know you
[21:38] Speaker 5: can score and I know guys that can score play
[21:40] Speaker 5: defense that's it levels.
[21:41] Speaker 2: No no because no way no two No, because it
[21:45] Speaker 2: is what it is. You play defense and you play offense.
[21:47] Speaker 2: So Jimmy Butler is the same. Jimmy Butler is a
[21:50] Speaker 2: two-way player. They moved the criteria.
[21:53] Speaker 5: You remember that stat? This is what happened to two-way.
[21:56] Speaker 5: You remember the stat of before or when Russell hit
[22:00] Speaker 5: the triple-double year?
[22:01] Speaker 2: It was three people in the category. It was Oscar Robinson.
[22:08] Speaker 2: averaging 30-something and something.
[22:09] Speaker 5: LeBron James, where it was 29-8-7.
[22:14] Speaker 2: And then it was Westbrook, right? That was 30-11-11. And then...
[22:20] Speaker 2: What goalposts are you moving now? And then they moved
[22:22] Speaker 2: the goalposts for Draymond Green, 11-7. They said, what did
[22:26] Speaker 2: they say? These four players are the only people in
[22:30] Speaker 2: history to do this.
[22:32] Speaker 5: Now you have three people who's averaging 29-9-8-8 and And
[22:37] Speaker 5: then they put this mediocre stat.
[22:39] Speaker 2: To say you're part of it. He's not. That's the same.
[22:42] Speaker 2: He's not. No, but he was. He's not. Because they
[22:44] Speaker 2: moved it down. My eyes don't lie to me. Okay,
[22:46] Speaker 2: but you're not even listening to what I'm saying. Because
[22:48] Speaker 2: it's irrelevant. Can you read the stat? No, because two-way
[22:50] Speaker 2: players was these high-level scores that made number one. I'm
[22:55] Speaker 2: never going to put Draymond in that category.
[22:57] Speaker 5: They lowered it down for everyone to be a two-way player.
[23:02] Speaker 7: Brandon, would you ever consider Draymond in that category?
[23:05] Speaker 2: What category?
[23:06] Speaker 5: That you just mentioned. Oscar Robinson, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook.
[23:10] Speaker 2: Can you read them so he understands? I'm trying to
[23:12] Speaker 2: find them. As a two-way player. No, there wasn't a
[23:14] Speaker 2: two-way player. So why did you bring it up? Why
[23:19] Speaker 2: did you bring it up?
[23:20] Speaker 5: I was showing you an example of how they watered.
[23:23] Speaker 2: Down a stat. What stat? Try it again. What stat?
[23:25] Speaker 2: The closest person to triple doubles. They averaged. What stat?
[23:29] Speaker 2: One averaged 30, 11, and 9. Okay, that's Oscar. The
[23:33] Speaker 2: second one? 30, 11, 11.
[23:35] Speaker 5: Okay.
[23:35] Speaker 2: The next one is LeBron James. Okay. 29, 7, and 8.
[23:40] Speaker 2: Whatever it was. And then... And then who was they?
[23:43] Speaker 2: Whoever does the stats. And then Draymond Green.
[23:45] Speaker 5: A lot of people do stats. And then Draymond Green
[23:50] Speaker 5: averaged what? It was like 14, 15, 8, and 9.
[23:54] Speaker 2: So the stat went from averaging 30 all the way
[23:58] Speaker 2: down to Draymond Green stats. Please don't do the faces.
[24:01] Speaker 2: Stay here. Let's stay with two-way players. Let's stay with
[24:04] Speaker 2: two-way players. Let's stay with two-way players.
[24:06] Speaker 1: Let's stay with two-way players.
[24:07] Speaker 2: 14, 10, and 7.
[24:12] Speaker 5: He averaged 14, 10, and 7 in the 15 and
[24:14] Speaker 5: 16 season. Okay, so what did they do with the original?
[24:18] Speaker 5: Who is they is what I'm trying to get to.
[24:19] Speaker 5: What did they do with the original stat to fit
[24:21] Speaker 5: him in there?
[24:22] Speaker 2: Who is they, Gil? So the stat was. Tell me
[24:24] Speaker 2: who they is. I heard all that. Tell me who
[24:27] Speaker 2: they is.
[24:27] Speaker 5: No, no, no, no.
[24:27] Speaker 2: If the stat was 30. I'm trying to find it.
[24:32] Speaker 2: They move. Who is they? You keep saying they. They
[24:35] Speaker 2: move the stat all the way down. Who is they, Gil?
[24:39] Speaker 2: You keep saying they. Who is they? Bro, if you
[24:41] Speaker 2: stop interrupting, I can just. I heard everything you said, Gil. No,
[24:45] Speaker 2: you're not. I've heard everything you said. They dumb the
[24:47] Speaker 2: stat down to put Draymond in it. Let me finish it.
[24:49] Speaker 2: They dumb the stat down to put Draymond in it.
[24:51] Speaker 6: Can I finish it?
[24:52] Speaker 2: Is that not the basis of it? Can I just
[24:53] Speaker 2: finish the point? You did. And then you can go.
[24:55] Speaker 2: They dumb the stat down to put Draymond in it.
[24:57] Speaker 1: Right?
[24:57] Speaker 6: Okay.
[24:58] Speaker 2: Cool. And I ask who is they? Media. What media?
[25:01] Speaker 2: Everybody does stats. Media did the stat. What media, Gil?
[25:06] Speaker 2: Any media, dawg. Any media can do a stat that
[25:08] Speaker 2: you go with. Any media. But it's a.
[25:11] Speaker 1: Triple-double stat, though, Gil. It was a triple.
[25:14] Speaker 2: He don't fit it. Either way it go. He did
[25:16] Speaker 2: fit it. Draymond average triple-double? No, it wasn't. He ain't
[25:20] Speaker 2: average near a triple-double. Bro, it wasn't a triple-double. So
[25:22] Speaker 2: what are y'all saying then? I'm confused. If you stop talking,
[25:25] Speaker 2: we can just say it. I'm confused. You said it's
[25:28] Speaker 2: a triple-double stat. You're confused. I'm not. Because he don't
[25:32] Speaker 2: fit the stat.
[25:32] Speaker 5: Okay, the stat was three people that averaged 29 plus
[25:37] Speaker 5: 10 and 7.
[25:39] Speaker 2: Okay? We know those three people. So then they changed
[25:41] Speaker 2: it to 14. Let him finish, please.
[25:43] Speaker 5: And then Draymond had a season where it was 14, 10,
[25:46] Speaker 5: and 7. So what they did, media, they dropped the
[25:50] Speaker 5: stat all the way from 30 to.
[25:53] Speaker 2: 14, 10, and 7. So there was four people in
[25:56] Speaker 2: history to average at least... 14, 10, and 7, right?
[26:02] Speaker 2: Even though these are two different types of stats. Same
[26:06] Speaker 2: thing with two-way players.
[26:07] Speaker 5: There was two-way players that averaged at least led the
[26:11] Speaker 5: league in scoring or was number two with 29 to
[26:15] Speaker 5: 32 and was first-team defense. Then they dropped it all
[26:19] Speaker 5: the way down to guys who averaged 20-21 average. and
[26:23] Speaker 5: put him in the same tier, even though it's two
[26:25] Speaker 5: different tiers of scoring, and they just dumbed down the
[26:28] Speaker 5: thought of what a two-way player was.
[26:31] Speaker 2: So back to my question, who is they? The media.
[26:34] Speaker 2: What media?
[26:35] Speaker 1: Any media.
[26:36] Speaker 2: Anybody. Anybody that can fit your argument.
[26:39] Speaker 5: But let's go back to the two-way. Don't get away
[26:42] Speaker 5: from the two-way. No matter what, all that shit he
[26:44] Speaker 5: just said, the man still don't fit the category.
[26:46] Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck. Who? Who put the category together? Who?
[26:49] Speaker 2: Draymond don't fit the category. the category.
[26:51] Speaker 5: So I don't give a fuck what needed, what, who did, what,
[26:53] Speaker 5: when they did it, how they tried.
[26:55] Speaker 2: To change it. This and the third. We're talking about
[26:58] Speaker 2: a two-way player. He don't fit the category of what?
[27:00] Speaker 2: A two-way player. Averaging 14, 10, and 7? A two-way player.
[27:02] Speaker 2: So you know how he don't fit?
[27:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, Draymond don't fit in a two-way player.
[27:04] Speaker 2: So how did you get in this conversation? Because I
[27:06] Speaker 2: was showing you an example. That example doesn't matter in
[27:09] Speaker 2: this conversation. No, no.
[27:10] Speaker 5: It was showing you an example how they dumbed down
[27:12] Speaker 5: a stat to fit someone.
[27:13] Speaker 2: But they didn't do this. You don't agree with dumbing
[27:16] Speaker 2: down a stat.
[27:16] Speaker 5: But Just like we don't agree with dumbing down your
[27:19] Speaker 5: scoring 10 points.
[27:20] Speaker 2: For you to be a two-way player. Who dumbed it down?
[27:23] Speaker 2: Who dumbed it down?
[27:24] Speaker 3: What's the scoring threshold versus defensive threshold to make somebody
[27:26] Speaker 3: a two-way player?
[27:27] Speaker 2: No, that's not how– No, no, that's the question. Go back.
[27:30] Speaker 2: It ain't no threshold. That's what the scoring was.
[27:33] Speaker 5: I can play both sides of the ball. I can play–
[27:38] Speaker 5: I don't have to average 25. What's the number? I
[27:40] Speaker 5: want to get some more people that have done this.
[27:43] Speaker 1: I want to get some more people that have done this.
[27:46] Speaker 2: Who? Like the Tayshaun Prince and Scottie Pippen. I would.
[27:48] Speaker 5: I'm not considering Tayshaun Prince a two-way player. I'm not
[27:51] Speaker 5: considering Tayshaun Prince a two-way player.
[27:57] Speaker 2: No, you can play both sides. That's a two-way player.
[28:01] Speaker 2: But they used two-way as dominating both sides. That's what
[28:05] Speaker 2: two-way was called. So give me those guys, Gil. Who
[28:08] Speaker 2: dominated them? It was Michael Jordan. It was Kobe Bryant.
[28:12] Speaker 2: It was Kareem. It was Shaquille O'Neal.
[28:14] Speaker 5: Those were the names that they were using as two-way dominant.
[28:18] Speaker 5: That means I'm dominating offense.
[28:20] Speaker 2: So, Shea, right now, he's number two in scoring and
[28:23] Speaker 2: number six defensively. That is what they used as the criteria.
[28:27] Speaker 5: But he's never made it all defensive. But that's what
[28:30] Speaker 5: I'm saying. That's how they named it.
[28:32] Speaker 3: But would you still consider him a good two-way play
[28:33] Speaker 3: even without being a quote-unquote top 10 defender in the league?
[28:38] Speaker 5: I would say he's a two-way player, but I wouldn't
[28:39] Speaker 5: put him in a category as those.
[28:41] Speaker 2: Guys that were playing. Why not, though? Because those guys were.
[28:44] Speaker 2: How not, though? He averaged in 30 and all these things.
[28:47] Speaker 2: So why not? Because they won first team. Like, there's
[28:50] Speaker 2: a stat.
[28:51] Speaker 1: So you have to be first.
[28:52] Speaker 7: So you have to make an all-defensive team in order
[28:55] Speaker 7: to be recognized.
[28:56] Speaker 2: As a defender? Yeah, just like you have to win
[28:59] Speaker 2: a championship to be recognized as a champion.
[29:02] Speaker 5: So you have to make an all-defensive team. So we
[29:04] Speaker 5: don't watch basketball.
[29:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, we do. So we don't watch basketball.
[29:07] Speaker 10: The term two-way player, as a popular descriptor for NBA players,
[29:13] Speaker 10: is selling both on offense and defense, gained significant traction
[29:17] Speaker 10: in the mid-2010s.
[29:20] Speaker 2: Mid-2010.
[29:21] Speaker 10: So before that, no one was using the word.
[29:25] Speaker 2: Kareem. Nobody was using the term for that.
[29:28] Speaker 1: 2K actually prominently placed it.
[29:31] Speaker 2: That's when they started naming it. When?
[29:33] Speaker 1: 2010?
[29:33] Speaker 5: Around Kobe. When Kobe, they was naming it two ways.
[29:36] Speaker 5: They finally put a category. Why you think I keep saying.
[29:39] Speaker 2: those same names?
[29:41] Speaker 5: But you said Will, Kareem, Michael Jordan, 90s players.
[29:47] Speaker 2: So look, I got you right here. Just your point
[29:48] Speaker 2: right here.
[29:49] Speaker 10: Historical context, all around play was norm and a unique skill.
[29:53] Speaker 10: Players like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Akeem Olajuwon, Gary Payton
[29:57] Speaker 10: wore all-around forces, two-way forces on both sides of the ball.
[30:02] Speaker 10: So you can shift from that to the specialists and
[30:05] Speaker 10: all of the other different aspects.
[30:08] Speaker 2: With that, so Gary Payton is not elite on the
[30:11] Speaker 2: offensive end?
[30:12] Speaker 5: Yes.
[30:13] Speaker 2: He averaged 27, 28 later. He's not elite. He's not elite, though, right? Yes.
[30:18] Speaker 2: Gary Payton? He's an elite basketball player. Elite two-way player.
[30:22] Speaker 2: Elite two-way player. Yes. Is he or is he not?
[30:24] Speaker 1: Gil, come on.
[30:25] Speaker 2: Gary Payton, was it? Yes.
[30:26] Speaker 5: Gary Payton was an offensive guy. Did he not average 28?
[30:33] Speaker 5: 24 was the most he averaged during the season.
[30:35] Speaker 6: I'm going to say 28.
[30:36] Speaker 2: But had one, two, three, four, five, six.
[30:40] Speaker 3: I think six seasons average of 21.
[30:43] Speaker 2: So the year that he averaged 24, right?
[30:45] Speaker 1: So 24.
[30:45] Speaker 5: It was this high, right? Did he make all NBA teams? Yeah,
[30:51] Speaker 5: first team All-NBA, first team All-NBA.
[30:52] Speaker 2: So him averaging 24, Gil, that's not elite? Hold on,
[30:55] Speaker 2: hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on.
[30:56] Speaker 4: Is he not elite, Gil?
[30:57] Speaker 2: He only averaged 24. He's elite. So he's an elite
[30:58] Speaker 2: two-way player? He made first-team All-NBA.
[31:09] Speaker 5: To your credit, to what your argument is, he got
[31:15] Speaker 5: to average 30 and be first-team All-Defense, right?
[31:18] Speaker 2: That's what the argument was, yes.
[31:19] Speaker 5: So he's first-team All-NBA, defense, and only averaged 24.
[31:23] Speaker 2: Is he an elite two-way player?
[31:25] Speaker 5: Is he an elite two-way player like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant,
[31:28] Speaker 5: Shaquille O'Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon?
[31:30] Speaker 2: Yes, I'm asking you. That's in your... Yeah, I'm asking.
[31:32] Speaker 2: He made first team, all NBA. First team, all defense.
[31:34] Speaker 2: First team, all NBA.
[31:35] Speaker 5: All first team, all defense. First team, all NBA. And
[31:37] Speaker 5: he only averaged 24 points.
[31:39] Speaker 1: That's when they lost.
[31:41] Speaker 2: It doesn't matter losing or winning, Nick. It doesn't matter.
[31:43] Speaker 2: What does all NBA.
[31:45] Speaker 5: You brought it up. No, what does making the all
[31:48] Speaker 5: NBA team have to do with being a high-level... number
[31:50] Speaker 5: one or two scores. You said he has to average 30.
[31:53] Speaker 5: My question is Does he average 30? Does he average 24?
[31:56] Speaker 5: You said he has to make an all-defense team, right?
[31:59] Speaker 2: That's how they did it. So he made an all-defense team.
[32:01] Speaker 2: Elite defense. And he made first team All-NBA. First team All-NBA.
[32:05] Speaker 2: He let his team in scoring. Okay. He let his
[32:07] Speaker 2: team in scoring at 24 points a game. Did he
[32:09] Speaker 2: lead the league in scoring? What does it matter? What
[32:12] Speaker 2: does it matter? What does it matter if he led
[32:15] Speaker 2: the league or not?
[32:15] Speaker 5: He's still doing it on both sides of the ball.
[32:20] Speaker 2: At a high level. That's really the only criteria. Can
[32:23] Speaker 2: you score? Can you defend?
[32:24] Speaker 5: I don't know where they're missing it. I don't know
[32:26] Speaker 5: where they're missing it. If you're top five in scoring
[32:29] Speaker 5: and top five in.
[32:32] Speaker 2: Defense, that's what they call elite. Only top five. Yes,
[32:36] Speaker 2: that's what the... So, like, Wimby is one and 13.
[32:40] Speaker 5: Anthony Davis is a two-way player. Yes.
[32:45] Speaker 2: Okay.
[32:46] Speaker 5: It's like we know who they are, but you just
[32:48] Speaker 5: keep trying to move people in there. Great players are
[32:51] Speaker 5: great players, but when we're talking about an expert and
[32:55] Speaker 5: an expert, those are two-way players. So, Kawhi Leonard.
[32:58] Speaker 2: Seventh in the league. He was seventh in the league.
[33:01] Speaker 1: So, him averaging 24 in the league, he was seventh
[33:04] Speaker 1: in the league that.
[33:05] Speaker 2: Year in scoring. So, is that elite? Yeah.
[33:08] Speaker 1: Huh?
[33:09] Speaker 2: Top seven, yeah. Okay. Thank you.
[33:13] Speaker 5: And is it just scoring? So you don't have to
[33:15] Speaker 5: average 30. You have to be in the top tier
[33:18] Speaker 5: of scoring, dog. But you don't have to average 30.
[33:20] Speaker 2: Okay, how about this?
[33:21] Speaker 5: What do you need to be defensively to make first team?
[33:23] Speaker 5: I have no idea what the criteria is. You need
[33:25] Speaker 5: to be top five to make first team, right? I
[33:27] Speaker 5: don't know what the criteria is for that shit. Okay,
[33:30] Speaker 5: how about this? If we have a scoring category and
[33:35] Speaker 5: a defensive category, to be first team all defense, that
[33:39] Speaker 5: has to be a top five, right?
[33:41] Speaker 2: You have to be top five to make that.
[33:43] Speaker 5: Now, if there was a scoring offensively output, you would
[33:47] Speaker 5: have to be top five.
[33:48] Speaker 2: To make those positions.
[33:51] Speaker 5: So that means top five offensive players will make first
[33:55] Speaker 5: team offense. If you are top defense, yes.
[34:00] Speaker 2: If G.P. 's averaging 24-9 assists... Bro, I'm just... That's offense.
[34:05] Speaker 1: That's offense.
[34:06] Speaker 5: That's offense to production. No, but you said they brought in...
[34:10] Speaker 5: But you had to score 30 to.
[34:11] Speaker 2: Be considered elite.
[34:14] Speaker 5: Every name that was in there averaged 28-32. Everybody that
[34:18] Speaker 5: was in there... But Gary Payton didn't. And he's seventh
[34:21] Speaker 5: in the league that year. And that's not the criteria
[34:24] Speaker 5: of what a two-way player is. That wasn't the definition
[34:27] Speaker 5: that you have to be elite.
[34:29] Speaker 7: The point I'm making about Gary Payton is, right, and
[34:32] Speaker 7: we can move on, people weren't scoring like they are
[34:35] Speaker 7: scoring nowadays, right? More guys averaging 24 than they did
[34:40] Speaker 7: back then, right? For him to be seventh in the
[34:43] Speaker 7: league averaging 24, that's elite.
[34:46] Speaker 2: That's elite. But it's not elite there. Elite where? There's
[34:49] Speaker 2: Hall of Famers, right? Elite where?
[34:51] Speaker 5: There's Hall of Famers, but all of Hall of Famers
[34:53] Speaker 5: stand on the same pedestal.
[34:54] Speaker 2: No. Hmm?
[34:56] Speaker 10: So when Ron Artest was averaging 20 in sack and
[34:58] Speaker 10: then all defense.
[35:00] Speaker 1: That wasn't him being both sides of the ball?
[35:03] Speaker 2: He's a both sides... Okay, how about this? So he
[35:04] Speaker 2: averages 20 and he's all defense?
[35:07] Speaker 5: If we put everybody's offensive stats, that was in that category,
[35:11] Speaker 5: and you have someone who averaged 50, 38, 48 in
[35:14] Speaker 5: their years, and then you got Kobe.
[35:16] Speaker 2: Averaging 35, first team all defense. That means he's top
[35:18] Speaker 2: five in the defense and he's top five in scoring.
[35:20] Speaker 2: And then you got Shaquille O'Neal, top five in defense,
[35:23] Speaker 2: top five in scoring. You got Hakeem, top five in defense,
[35:25] Speaker 2: top five in scoring. And then.
[35:28] Speaker 5: You want to start adding non-top five players in both categories.
[35:33] Speaker 2: So they're not top five in the category.
[35:34] Speaker 5: It has nothing to do with what a two-way player is, though, Gil.
[35:37] Speaker 5: You're just separating it. You're separating the criteria based on stats.
[35:42] Speaker 5: When he's talking about a player who can play both
[35:45] Speaker 5: sides of the ball, when you say a guy, you're
[35:47] Speaker 5: going to line up with a guy.
[35:48] Speaker 2: Check it out. You're going to line up with a guy.
[35:50] Speaker 2: With Joe Dumont as the center? Scouting report.
[35:52] Speaker 5: He's going to put 20 on you, and he's going
[35:54] Speaker 5: to lock you up.
[35:55] Speaker 2: He's going to guard you on this end, and he
[35:57] Speaker 2: could potentially give you 30.
[35:59] Speaker 5: He could potentially give you 25. But he's averaging 20.
[36:02] Speaker 5: On the scouting report, he's averaging 20. So we're looking
[36:06] Speaker 5: at him like, hey, bro, he can actually score. We've
[36:08] Speaker 5: got to respect his offense.
[36:10] Speaker 10: And we don't want to go to his side of
[36:12] Speaker 10: the court because he can steal the ball. That's a
[36:14] Speaker 10: two-way player, regardless of stats. It doesn't matter about your stats.
[36:19] Speaker 2: It means we.
[36:19] Speaker 5: Respect you on both sides of the ball. Klay Thompson,
[36:24] Speaker 5: you got to respect Klay can drop 60 on you
[36:27] Speaker 5: any night, but you got to also know that he's
[36:29] Speaker 5: going to guard the best player on this side.
[36:32] Speaker 2: The best guard, Klay got him. He can put up
[36:34] Speaker 2: 40 on you any night. I'm in the MVP race
[36:36] Speaker 2: for doing that.
[36:37] Speaker 5: So that means I'm on a different level.
[36:41] Speaker 2: That means I'm on a different level. But you can
[36:43] Speaker 2: be on a different level. You can be. That's what
[36:45] Speaker 2: I'm saying. But you're still a two-way player. It doesn't
[36:48] Speaker 2: separate the category.
[36:50] Speaker 5: Yeah, but it still doesn't separate it, though.
[36:54] Speaker 2: But you're still a two-way player. That's fine, but you're
[36:57] Speaker 2: not on my level, though. But that's what we're talking about.
[36:59] Speaker 2: I'm number one. We're not talking about the level. We're
[37:01] Speaker 2: talking about this is what a two-way player is. The
[37:02] Speaker 2: funny part is.
[37:09] Speaker 5: When you move Draymond Green's stats, that 14, 10, and 7,
[37:14] Speaker 5: into the category of 30, 10, and 7.
[37:17] Speaker 2: They don't like that.
[37:18] Speaker 5: They don't like this mediocre stat with these greats.
[37:21] Speaker 2: He don't fit because he didn't do what they said
[37:24] Speaker 2: he don't fit. And that's the same thing we talked
[37:27] Speaker 2: about with Clint. You don't fit. No, yes, he does. Now,
[37:29] Speaker 2: listen to what you're saying. Clay does fit. Clay averaged
[37:32] Speaker 2: 27 in his league. At the bottom level, though. There's
[37:34] Speaker 2: no bottom level if nothing Clay has ever done. 23
[37:36] Speaker 2: is 24.
[37:36] Speaker 5: Gary Payton averaged 24. It's not on the same level.
[37:39] Speaker 5: Gary Payton averaged 24. I lead my team, and I'm
[37:41] Speaker 5: doing it. You're not on the same level.
[37:43] Speaker 2: Draymond Green didn't fit this category. They moved the category
[37:51] Speaker 2: all the way down to Draymond's stats. So the category now...
[37:54] Speaker 2: was 14, 10, and 7. So Jokic is now in that.
[37:59] Speaker 2: And Luka. Is Luka in that? So now you got
[38:02] Speaker 2: four or five people.
[38:04] Speaker 7: When you're talking about being elite scorer, anything that has
[38:07] Speaker 7: to do with somebody doing something like that, that Draymond
[38:09] Speaker 7: would be.
[38:10] Speaker 5: No, we're talking about a stat that was 14. It
[38:12] Speaker 5: was 30, 10, and 7. They moved it down to 14, 10,
[38:14] Speaker 5: and 7. So now there's five people in this category. Right?
[38:19] Speaker 2: There's five people. Yeah, there is.
[38:22] Speaker 5: Four people with damn near average. 30, 10, and 7.
[38:25] Speaker 5: And then you got Draymond Green because they moved the
[38:27] Speaker 5: stat line down. They moved the criteria so far down
[38:31] Speaker 5: to make it appeasable. You still ain't told me who
[38:34] Speaker 5: is they.
[38:35] Speaker 2: It's like the Thaddeus Young graphic. Tell me that.
[38:39] Speaker 3: So players with 800 games to average 13.5 points, 5.9 rebounds,
[38:43] Speaker 3: and 1.4 steals with 49% field goal percentage and.
[38:48] Speaker 2: 30% three-point field goal. Magic, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, LeBron James,
[38:52] Speaker 2: and Thaddeus Young. And Thaddeus Young. Come on, man. And
[38:55] Speaker 2: I watch basketball. No, no. So he don't like that. No.
[38:58] Speaker 2: He don't like that. It ain't that I don't like it.
[39:00] Speaker 2: I watch basketball. And I know.
[39:02] Speaker 5: Thaddeus Young don't belong on that motherfucking page.
[39:04] Speaker 2: Exactly. Nigga.
[39:06] Speaker 5: But Clay Thompson does it on both sides.
[39:09] Speaker 2: Of the floor. Now can I ask you a question? Yes, please.
[39:12] Speaker 2: Ask me a question.
[39:13] Speaker 1: We have. Yes.
[39:15] Speaker 2: Wilt Stats. Okay, what about it? Okay. We have Jordan Stats. Okay. Okay.
[39:20] Speaker 2: We have Kobe scoring in defense. We have Shaquille O'Neal.
[39:25] Speaker 2: We have Kareem. And we have Dream.
[39:29] Speaker 1: Okay.
[39:30] Speaker 2: Do Klay Thompson fit in that group? Does Gary Payton
[39:33] Speaker 2: belong in that category? I've never seen Wilt play. Didn't see. No, no.
[39:37] Speaker 2: You don't have to scream. Didn't see. Does he belong
[39:41] Speaker 2: in there?
[39:43] Speaker 5: Gary Payton belongs in that category. Gary Payton belongs in
[39:45] Speaker 5: that category.
[39:47] Speaker 1: Yes, he does.
[39:49] Speaker 5: Does Clay belong in that conversation? Does Clay belong in
[39:52] Speaker 5: that conversation? Gary Payton definitely belongs. in that conversation. The
[39:56] Speaker 5: category would be 31 plus. Oh, that's the category. Not
[40:01] Speaker 5: a basketball conversation.
[40:02] Speaker 2: It's a stat conversation. Yes, that's what it was.
[40:04] Speaker 5: We're having a basketball conversation.
[40:07] Speaker 2: You're having a stat conversation.
[40:09] Speaker 5: Report on Clay Thompson. You have to guard him. You
[40:13] Speaker 5: can't just leave him open. You can't not pay attention
[40:17] Speaker 5: to Clay Thompson.
[40:18] Speaker 10: He is going to give you 30 if you do
[40:20] Speaker 10: not do what we tell you to do defensively on him.
[40:22] Speaker 2: Okay, on the other end, he's going to guard you.
[40:25] Speaker 2: He's going to not make it easy. That's a two-way player.
[40:29] Speaker 2: Okay We're having two different conversation.
[40:31] Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, we're having a two different come
[40:33] Speaker 5: over We're having the same conversation.
[40:35] Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, we're having a people that play
[40:37] Speaker 2: basketball guys are to the guy that we're talking about
[40:39] Speaker 2: Y'all talk about that is number one in offense and
[40:41] Speaker 2: number one in defense me they're talking about number one
[40:44] Speaker 2: in defense and And number two in offense. They're talking
[40:58] Speaker 2: about stats.
[40:59] Speaker 4: A two-way player has got to be a guy that
[41:01] Speaker 4: can create their own shot on offense.
[41:05] Speaker 2: And I would put Ant-Man, the Jalen Browns.
[41:09] Speaker 1: This year. Klay Thompson and me.
[41:11] Speaker 2: Klay only made one all-difference.
[41:14] Speaker 1: Okay.
[41:14] Speaker 2: We watched the game. Anthony Davis. Are they at that level, though?
[41:18] Speaker 2: Everybody on this level. 30 plus points. Okay. I don't
[41:20] Speaker 2: care about how many points they have. That was your fantasy. conversation.
[41:30] Speaker 5: You're having a stat conversation. We're having a basketball conversation.
[41:35] Speaker 5: We're having two different conversations. Because we watched Draymond Green.
[41:41] Speaker 2: He's not a scorer. Draymond Green is.
[41:44] Speaker 5: Not a scorer. He's not going to do that. They're
[41:47] Speaker 5: not calling plays for Draymond. That's why he don't fit this.
[41:52] Speaker 5: They don't call plays for Draymond. He get his out
[41:55] Speaker 5: the mud. Did they call plays for Klay Thompson?
[41:58] Speaker 2: Every time? Was he the number one option? That ain't
[41:59] Speaker 2: what I asked you, nigga. Come on, man.
[42:03] Speaker 5: I asked you, did they call plays for Clay?
[42:05] Speaker 2: They call plays for everybody.
[42:07] Speaker 1: No, they don't.
[42:08] Speaker 2: They ain't call plays for Clay Montgomery. Come on, man.
[42:10] Speaker 2: I can promise you they did. I can promise you
[42:12] Speaker 2: they did. Come on, man. You want somebody to start.
[42:16] Speaker 5: It, we're having a basketball conversation. I'm having the conversation. No,
[42:23] Speaker 5: you're having the stat conversation. No, I'm having a conversation
[42:25] Speaker 5: that shows.
[42:26] Speaker 2: It's about levels, though.
[42:29] Speaker 5: Everyone is the number one coach and the number one scorer.
[42:32] Speaker 2: And the number one defender. There are two ways to
[42:34] Speaker 2: do it. There's two ways. That's what we're saying.
[42:38] Speaker 1: Two ways with freedom?
[42:39] Speaker 5: They're trying to erase the line and make everybody go.
[42:41] Speaker 2: Two ways. Josiah, we agree with you. We agree. When
[42:43] Speaker 2: you say that there's this and there's this, what category
[42:45] Speaker 2: is it? It's a two-way category.
[42:56] Speaker 5: I'll make this argument.
[42:59] Speaker 2: There's Hall of Fame, right? Not everybody in the Hall
[43:01] Speaker 2: of Fame.
[43:02] Speaker 3: There's a Hall of Fame and then there's a Hall
[43:03] Speaker 3: of Fame or the Hall of Fame.
[43:05] Speaker 2: First ballot, right? And that was the conversation I said.
[43:08] Speaker 5: I said, when they did this, it was only gold.
[43:12] Speaker 5: They did not have silver, two-way players, or bronze two-way players.
[43:17] Speaker 2: First ballot, Hall of Fame. Cool.
[43:20] Speaker 5: But no, what I'm saying is, I said when they
[43:24] Speaker 5: first did this stat, it was only gold members of this.
[43:28] Speaker 2: Who is they? Now it's silver and bronze, and you're
[43:31] Speaker 2: trying to mix it in like they're together. It says 2010.
[43:33] Speaker 2: 2010 was when they made it. Coal average 28.
[43:39] Speaker 5: Right.
[43:40] Speaker 2: No, but early Kawhi was not. Kawhi was not averaging
[43:42] Speaker 2: 28 early. He was a two-way player. Didn't he want
[43:45] Speaker 2: defensive player here in San Antonio? Yes. Was he averaging 28? No,
[43:48] Speaker 2: he was not. So was he elite? He was not
[43:50] Speaker 2: an offensive player.
[43:52] Speaker 1: He was not an offensive player.
[43:54] Speaker 5: Andre Iguodala was averaging 20 and he's locking defense in Philly.
[44:00] Speaker 2: And really Andre Iguodala was a two-way player. 100% he is.
[44:03] Speaker 2: What you mean? So Kawhi made first team All-NBA, first
[44:06] Speaker 2: team All-Defense, averaging 21 and 7. No, we're talking about this.
[44:08] Speaker 2: Hold on, once again.
[44:08] Speaker 5: We got a guy that's averaging 21, made first team All-Defense,
[44:11] Speaker 5: first team All-NBA.
[44:23] Speaker 2: Finish second in MVP voting. Second in MVP voting. Is
[44:26] Speaker 2: he elite? Who? He's elite. When he averaged 21. When
[44:31] Speaker 2: he averaged 21. He's elite. He didn't average 30. You're
[44:34] Speaker 2: using the word elite. No, you said he averaged 30. No,
[44:36] Speaker 2: you did.
[44:36] Speaker 5: No, we're 30. You're using the word elite. So the
[44:40] Speaker 5: benchmark is 30, right? He's elite. So the benchmark is
[44:43] Speaker 5: 30 points, right? How about this? For a gold member,
[44:48] Speaker 5: two-way play.
[44:49] Speaker 2: Is he a gold member?
[44:49] Speaker 5: For a gold number two-way player now, is he a
[44:52] Speaker 5: gold member?
[44:52] Speaker 2: Gold? Is Kawhi Leonard?
[44:54] Speaker 5: I'm asking you a specific question.
[44:57] Speaker 2: In this year? No, no, no.
[44:59] Speaker 5: Is Kawhi Leonard, this year we're speaking of, is he
[45:04] Speaker 5: a gold member?
[45:05] Speaker 2: Wait, hold on. The 21?
[45:06] Speaker 5: 15, 16.
[45:06] Speaker 2: Is he a gold member? Was he then? The 15, 16?
[45:09] Speaker 5: He was not a gold member. First team all-NBA? But
[45:11] Speaker 5: was he a two-way player? Second MVP voting? They moved
[45:15] Speaker 5: the category. He will be silver.
[45:16] Speaker 2: No, no, no. Is he a two-way player? Silver. Brand yes,
[45:20] Speaker 2: so you say yes, he will be a brand again.
[45:22] Speaker 1: The second most valuable.
[45:24] Speaker 5: In the NBA this season What is a millionaire someone
[45:28] Speaker 5: who has over a million dollars right now somebody who has?
[45:30] Speaker 5: 900,000 where they got to do it is he a
[45:33] Speaker 5: millionaire they got to do.
[45:34] Speaker 2: It right thing brand that no, right? He's not a millionaire, right?
[45:36] Speaker 2: No 1.6 and then 1.1. Am I still a millionaire? Yes.
[45:45] Speaker 2: But I'm not at 1.5 or above. I'm at 1.1.
[45:47] Speaker 2: You're at 1.6? I'm at 1.1.
[45:51] Speaker 5: But I'm still a millionaire just like two-way players.
[45:54] Speaker 2: I'm still a two-way player. There's a millionaire and then
[45:57] Speaker 2: there's under.
[45:58] Speaker 5: If everybody in the gold member averages 30... They're number one, two,
[46:05] Speaker 5: three in scoring in the league, and they're number one, two,
[46:08] Speaker 5: three in defense, and that's everybody in this gold member.
[46:12] Speaker 5: How are you going to put a guy who's averaging 21?
[46:15] Speaker 5: He doesn't fit this criteria yet.
[46:18] Speaker 2: Like, what are we talking? You don't fit the criteria.
[46:21] Speaker 2: Just because you make first 30 points. Everybody in the
[46:24] Speaker 2: list was averaging 30. Everybody averaged 30. There was one, two,
[46:27] Speaker 2: and three in score.
[46:28] Speaker 4: No, no, no.
[46:28] Speaker 2: He named multiple guys. So everybody that you named, you
[46:30] Speaker 2: named before him. One, two, or three in score. Stop that.
[46:33] Speaker 2: They averaged. Hold on.
[46:34] Speaker 1: Hold on.
[46:43] Speaker 2: They averaged one. We're in the court of law right now.
[46:46] Speaker 2: We're in the court of law. We're in the court
[46:49] Speaker 2: of law right now. 28 to 30. I reacted to
[46:50] Speaker 2: the question. Top five in scoring. I've already said that.
[46:53] Speaker 1: But it ain't 30, though.
[46:54] Speaker 2: Top five in scoring. Top five in scoring. Was Kareem
[46:59] Speaker 2: a top.
[46:59] Speaker 5: Five score in the NBA when he was on first
[47:01] Speaker 5: team all defense?
[47:01] Speaker 2: We're going to say yes. Was Shaquille O'Neal there? You
[47:03] Speaker 2: helped him out. I know my point. You helped him out.
[47:20] Speaker 2: You didn't help me do shit. You helped him out.
[47:22] Speaker 2: I've already said top five in scoring.
[47:24] Speaker 5: Then I asked him, do you have to average 30?
[47:26] Speaker 1: What did he say?
[47:26] Speaker 4: No.
[47:27] Speaker 2: I said top five. I said top five. I've been
[47:29] Speaker 2: saying top five. You got to average 30. You said yes.
[47:31] Speaker 5: And Frank said 28. He's pretending. He's pretending I'm not
[47:35] Speaker 5: saying top. That list is top five. They're one and one.
[47:38] Speaker 5: They're top five in scoring. They're top five in defense.
[47:41] Speaker 5: I asked him a specific question. Nick, I asked you
[47:44] Speaker 5: a specific question. Do you say you have to keep
[47:46] Speaker 5: changing little words?
[47:48] Speaker 2: No, I asked you a question. How about this? I'm
[47:49] Speaker 2: using your words, Gil. How about this? I'm using your words.
[47:52] Speaker 5: The gold standard, King, the gold standard of the people
[47:55] Speaker 5: that were considered two-way. They were top five in scoring,
[48:00] Speaker 5: and they were top five in defense.
[48:02] Speaker 2: For who? In the NBA. For who? In NBA.
[48:04] Speaker 5: No, I'm saying, who came up with that? Just like
[48:07] Speaker 5: he Googled some shit, they put some shit together.
[48:10] Speaker 2: They had it. They had a list of gold number
[48:13] Speaker 2: two-way players. So you want me to go with it?
[48:15] Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying.
[48:16] Speaker 5: They had a gold list. So you want me to
[48:18] Speaker 5: believe it, right? I'm just saying they had a gold list.
[48:20] Speaker 5: And everybody on this.
[48:21] Speaker 2: Gold list was top five in scoring, and they was
[48:24] Speaker 2: top five in defense.
[48:25] Speaker 5: So that was the introduction of this elite two-way player.
[48:29] Speaker 5: You are to top score, and you were the top
[48:32] Speaker 5: defensive player.
[48:33] Speaker 2: That's what that was.
[48:35] Speaker 5: Now when you say it, it's just any nigga who
[48:37] Speaker 5: can score a bucket, but they play great defense.
[48:39] Speaker 2: I want to know.
[48:40] Speaker 1: So therefore, I'll let you.
[48:42] Speaker 2: That's what it is.
[48:42] Speaker 5: So therefore, if you want me to believe it, tell
[48:46] Speaker 5: me what media and what criteria, who came.
[48:49] Speaker 2: Up with it? Who would it be now, though? Who
[48:52] Speaker 2: came up with it? Shea would be in there. Of course,
[48:56] Speaker 2: Giannis every year. Kawhi now. Embiid. Kawhi this year. NB
[49:02] Speaker 2: was top. He was in the first team. Fuck. What
[49:05] Speaker 2: about you? NB was in top. Ain't nobody ever.
[49:08] Speaker 7: Watched basketball that said Joel NB was a no way,
[49:10] Speaker 7: two way, nothing.
[49:11] Speaker 5: He didn't make all, I thought he made all defensive teams.
[49:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, he's three time.
[49:16] Speaker 5: All defensive second team selection.
[49:21] Speaker 2: Three time?
[49:21] Speaker 5: Like I said, like I said, y'all having a stat
[49:24] Speaker 5: conversation and we're having a basketball conversation.
[49:28] Speaker 2: Wait, hold on. Yes. The fact that he said no
[49:31] Speaker 2: one was saying No, man, you're having.
[49:34] Speaker 5: The same conversation we're having, and you're disagreeing for no reason.
[49:38] Speaker 5: You're just doing this bullshit right now. You was just
[49:41] Speaker 5: agreeing with us. You was just agreeing.
[49:43] Speaker 2: And now you're saying no. I'm not agreeing with everything
[49:46] Speaker 2: y'all saying.
[49:46] Speaker 5: But you agreed, and we're talking about two-way players.
[49:49] Speaker 2: What is he talking about? He's talking about we're not agreeing.
[49:51] Speaker 5: The year that he finished second in the MVP voting, right,
[49:54] Speaker 5: first team all NBA, first team all defense, but he
[49:58] Speaker 5: only averaged 21 points.
[50:00] Speaker 2: Is he considered.
[50:02] Speaker 4: A two-way player? He's on the trajectory then. On the trajectory?
[50:08] Speaker 5: If you had to put him gold, silver, or bronze,
[50:13] Speaker 5: where would you put this?
[50:14] Speaker 2: Don't worry, man. He's on his way to getting the gold.
[50:17] Speaker 2: First-team All-NBA. Second in MVP voting. First-team All-NBA.
[50:21] Speaker 6: Average 21?
[50:22] Speaker 2: Yes. And finals MVP, if I'm not mistaken. One of
[50:26] Speaker 2: them years. One of them years. I would say he
[50:29] Speaker 2: became one of them years. One of them elites. When?
[50:35] Speaker 2: From 17... So he became that. He wasn't that thin?
[50:38] Speaker 2: He was on his way, yeah.
[50:40] Speaker 7: Has he made defense player of the year?
[50:44] Speaker 2: We got one guy who's averaging 30 first-team defense, first-team.
[50:48] Speaker 2: He's averaging 30. That's Kobe. Then 35 first team and
[50:51] Speaker 2: first team. 31 first team and first team. That's one person.
[50:53] Speaker 2: You want me to go to Kareem? Because I can
[50:55] Speaker 2: go through every stat I've already. I've already. Defensive player
[50:58] Speaker 2: of the year in 2015. Everyone averaged 28 to 30.
[50:59] Speaker 2: They were top tier. Top tier defensive player of the
[51:01] Speaker 2: year in 2016. They were top tier scores. First team
[51:03] Speaker 2: on defense. They were top tier scoring. They were top scoring.
[51:08] Speaker 2: So that's. And top tier in defense. Okay. Top tier.
[51:12] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[51:13] Speaker 5: Meaning Allen, you know them years where we were in
[51:15] Speaker 5: our years? That means for the two ways, it would
[51:18] Speaker 5: have to be Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady. You see how they're.
[51:22] Speaker 2: Top three in scoring? LeBron James. These are the top four.
[51:25] Speaker 2: Do you see how those guys? Hold on.
[51:27] Speaker 5: You see how those four guys are the top tier
[51:29] Speaker 5: of scoring? Now, if all of them made first team
[51:32] Speaker 5: all defense, they would be considered the top tier.
[51:35] Speaker 2: Of goal members. He led the league in steals. Only
[51:37] Speaker 2: Kobe and LeBron in the making those. Chris Paul, not
[51:42] Speaker 2: a two-way player? Is he a gold member?
[51:45] Speaker 1: No.
[51:46] Speaker 5: I didn't say about him.
[51:48] Speaker 2: I said, is he a two-way player? I didn't say
[51:50] Speaker 2: shit about gold. I said, is he a two-way player?
[51:52] Speaker 2: I always have. They've watered it down, so everyone makes
[51:54] Speaker 2: a two-way. We're all two-way. They didn't water anything down.
[51:57] Speaker 2: A lot of people are now. Everybody two-way. How? Two-way.
[52:01] Speaker 2: Everybody two-way. You score a bucket, you're a two-way player.
[52:03] Speaker 2: You score 20 and just play D?
[52:04] Speaker 5: If we're talking about a level, though, it's different levels.
[52:08] Speaker 3: All right, let's keep this thing moving, talk about some
[52:10] Speaker 3: stuff going on currently in the National Basketball Association.
[52:13] Speaker 2: Spurs got their 60th win.
[52:15] Speaker 3: Monday in a game that was supposed to feature Wimby
[52:17] Speaker 3: going up against former MVP Joel Embiid. But Wimby's night
[52:22] Speaker 3: on the court was cut short with an injury. Let's
[52:23] Speaker 3: take a look at what happened. Wimby suffered a bruised
[52:26] Speaker 3: rib early in the second quarter after colliding with Paul
[52:29] Speaker 3: George while trying to catch a pass in transition. Immediately
[52:32] Speaker 3: went to the locker room to be evaluated, but returned
[52:36] Speaker 3: later in the quarter.
[52:37] Speaker 2: The ball. Let's see what happens right here.
[52:40] Speaker 1: Wait, what?
[52:44] Speaker 2: This is the play right here. Bruce ribbed you. Where?
[52:46] Speaker 2: That's Embiid. So left the game.
[52:47] Speaker 1: Left the game.
[52:48] Speaker 4: I think it was more of a strain than it
[52:50] Speaker 4: was a.
[52:51] Speaker 2: Came back just in time to get hit with the
[52:53] Speaker 2: double step back by Embiid. 44 seconds remaining to go
[52:54] Speaker 2: in that quarter.
[52:55] Speaker 3: Sub just came out. sat out the remainder of the game. So,
[53:11] Speaker 3: Wimby had 17.5 rebounds in three blocks in just under
[53:14] Speaker 3: 16 minutes. So, this game does count towards his 65
[53:18] Speaker 3: game minimum, putting him at 64 games. Those players have
[53:20] Speaker 3: granted two exceptions. 15 minutes and 40 seconds.
[53:24] Speaker 2: He grabbed his knee. He was on that trajectory. That trajectory.
[53:30] Speaker 5: In that 65 games, you get two exemption games, I believe,
[53:33] Speaker 5: where as long as you play 15 minutes, you meet
[53:35] Speaker 5: that requirement.
[53:39] Speaker 3: You need to play at least 15 minutes in those
[53:41] Speaker 3: two games. So, Wimby must play at least 20 minutes
[53:43] Speaker 3: in one of the Spurs' next three games to still
[53:45] Speaker 3: be eligible for postseason awards.
[53:49] Speaker 2: So, Gil, we will start with you. Should the Spurs
[53:51] Speaker 2: let Wimby play at least one more game so he
[53:54] Speaker 2: can qualify? Oh, yeah. You got to play 20 minutes.
[53:58] Speaker 5: Do I have to ask a tough question?
[54:01] Speaker 2: Our MVP candidate. No, we're going to cost him. We're
[54:04] Speaker 2: going to cost him. Yes, no. He's going to play.
[54:06] Speaker 2: He's going to play next game. You're not even going to.
[54:09] Speaker 2: You're not even going to attempt to sit out this
[54:13] Speaker 2: next game.
[54:17] Speaker 5: Because you don't know what's going to happen, right? So,
[54:19] Speaker 5: you know, you just go play, get it out the
[54:21] Speaker 5: way so that it's off your shoulder and you qualify
[54:24] Speaker 5: for these awards. Like, this is a very sad time
[54:29] Speaker 5: where all these elite players are not going to get
[54:33] Speaker 5: credit for what they've done, but.
[54:35] Speaker 2: The past got credit for it.
[54:39] Speaker 5: And, you know, when you're talking about arguing for your legacy,
[54:43] Speaker 5: you know, these all-NBA teams, these scoring titles, these first-team All-D,
[54:49] Speaker 5: these awards are part.
[54:51] Speaker 2: Of the argument people have.
[54:54] Speaker 5: Now some of these guys' legacies won't have these, that
[55:00] Speaker 5: they would have made it no matter what. No matter what,
[55:04] Speaker 5: if Luka don't play no more, right, he's still going
[55:06] Speaker 5: to be first-team All-NBA. He's top three and four in
[55:10] Speaker 5: the MVP race. So he don't get scoring title. He
[55:14] Speaker 5: don't get first team all NBA. Well, that's the only
[55:19] Speaker 5: two awards he don't get.
[55:20] Speaker 2: Right? So that's off his resume as a player.
[55:24] Speaker 3: I think he still qualifies for scoring title. That game
[55:27] Speaker 3: minimum is different than 65. I think it's 58 if
[55:29] Speaker 3: I'm not mistaken.
[55:30] Speaker 2: It's not above that? It's not the same as the 65.
[55:32] Speaker 2: How many games do you need for that? But, you know, just, okay,
[55:36] Speaker 2: let's just stick with the All-NBA.
[55:38] Speaker 5: This is an All-NBA team he don't get, so hopefully,
[55:42] Speaker 5: you know, they just play Wimby, you know, this next game,
[55:46] Speaker 5: get it out of the way.
[55:48] Speaker 3: So, shift over to you, Shot. Obviously, Wimby's suffering that
[55:51] Speaker 3: bruised rib, rib contusion. Depending on the severity and grade
[55:55] Speaker 3: of it, has a varying length of time.
[55:57] Speaker 2: Potentially to be missed.
[55:59] Speaker 3: I think the earliest is probably four or five days,
[56:00] Speaker 3: as people were saying, but Should the Spurs let Wimby
[56:04] Speaker 3: play 20 more minutes in a regular season game, one
[56:06] Speaker 3: of their next three games, so he can still qualify
[56:08] Speaker 3: for postseason awards?
[56:11] Speaker 1: First and foremost, shout out to my boy Barrington Edwards,
[56:13] Speaker 1: Bowie Maryland. What's up, bro?
[56:16] Speaker 10: I want to say right now I think Wimby's going
[56:19] Speaker 10: to fight through it. I don't think it's about letting him.
[56:23] Speaker 10: I think it's about him knowing the importance of what
[56:26] Speaker 10: he wants to leave in this season with his team.
[56:28] Speaker 10: They got to 60 wins, and I think he wanted
[56:30] Speaker 10: to be a part of that 60 wins. um, being
[56:34] Speaker 10: at beach, you know, cut, cut short based on what happened.
[56:38] Speaker 10: I think it was a little tick tack thing that
[56:40] Speaker 10: they didn't want to, you know, make worse or go
[56:42] Speaker 10: out there. Cause Joel was going to probably attack that and, uh,
[56:46] Speaker 10: put some, put some pressure on that. And I think
[56:48] Speaker 10: that that would have held him out for the playoffs.
[56:52] Speaker 10: And I think they were being cautious, but I think he,
[56:55] Speaker 10: he's been able to nurse that for the next game. And, um,
[57:00] Speaker 10: Right now, it's about legacy when you talk about the
[57:04] Speaker 10: history of the game and you talk about other players
[57:06] Speaker 10: who play injured. Talk about this 65-game rule and protecting
[57:10] Speaker 10: other people who have played great throughout the season but
[57:14] Speaker 10: come up short with the rule. Allen Iverson was one
[57:18] Speaker 10: guy who recently posted on his Instagram about playing through injury.
[57:22] Speaker 10: And he always played his heart out and left his
[57:25] Speaker 10: heart on the floor. And he's like, you know, low management.
[57:29] Speaker 10: Injury management, like, what's that?
[57:31] Speaker 3: They got mad at him for practice that I had
[57:33] Speaker 3: to hide my jerseys at times so I couldn't come
[57:35] Speaker 3: play in the game.
[57:35] Speaker 2: Because he wanted to play.
[57:37] Speaker 10: And I think that this generation needs to understand that
[57:42] Speaker 10: some of them games that you're missing that's keeping you
[57:44] Speaker 10: away from this 65, you could have played. You could
[57:47] Speaker 10: have played those games. You can fight through them injuries.
[57:49] Speaker 10: And I think that that's the difference between the old
[57:51] Speaker 10: school and the new school is that, you know, we
[57:53] Speaker 10: fought through injuries. You played through stuff that you didn't
[57:55] Speaker 10: think you could play through. You went out there. You're 75%.
[57:59] Speaker 10: But you knew your team needed you. 80% Joel Embiid
[58:02] Speaker 10: is better than 100% Kelly Oubre. So you go out there,
[58:09] Speaker 10: you do what you can do, and give the team
[58:11] Speaker 10: all you got. And I think that the guys coming
[58:13] Speaker 10: up short with the 65 rule got to see that,
[58:16] Speaker 10: that you don't get rewarded from that anymore. Even if
[58:18] Speaker 10: they did get rewarded back then, they changed the rule.
[58:21] Speaker 10: I think Iman Shumpert said something on ESPN recently, too,
[58:24] Speaker 10: about rules. If this the rule, you got to follow
[58:27] Speaker 10: the rule. Just like the rule was, you can't take
[58:30] Speaker 10: more than two steps traveling. If you do, it's the
[58:32] Speaker 10: fucking travel. You can't change that.
[58:34] Speaker 1: Just stop traveling.
[58:35] Speaker 10: Even if you wanted to take three, four steps, you
[58:37] Speaker 10: know what the rule is. So now we know the rules.
[58:39] Speaker 10: You can't complain about the rules. Luka doing the lobbying
[58:44] Speaker 10: through his agent to try to get.
[58:45] Speaker 2: Other days cut. You know what I'm saying?
[58:48] Speaker 1: Based on that, it's like, bro.
[58:49] Speaker 2: That is a rule too, though.
[58:51] Speaker 10: It's like, if you can take advantage of it. And
[58:54] Speaker 10: they can file for it?
[58:55] Speaker 2: Cool.
[58:55] Speaker 10: We'll talk about that. If you come up short with it,
[58:58] Speaker 10: it's like, bro, just keep it going. You got to
[59:00] Speaker 10: come back next year. It's going to be one of
[59:03] Speaker 10: them things just like anybody else would have a deep
[59:05] Speaker 10: career in one season and then they get injured and
[59:09] Speaker 10: it's cut short.
[59:11] Speaker 2: The injury is a part of the game and that's
[59:12] Speaker 2: what we got to live with.
[59:13] Speaker 10: So I think that taking care of your body in
[59:15] Speaker 10: the offseason, all of these different things matter, matter for
[59:19] Speaker 10: 65 games. And that's what they need to start keeping
[59:22] Speaker 10: in mind now. If I want to get my awards,
[59:24] Speaker 10: I got to make the 65. I think that would
[59:27] Speaker 10: be a lot more beneficial to the player's mindsets now.
[59:32] Speaker 5: So, in our professional careers, how many players can you
[59:42] Speaker 5: think of that didn't want to play? Yeah, I'm blaming
[59:48] Speaker 5: the team. I was going to pick it. I was
[59:50] Speaker 5: going to see it. I was going there.
[59:51] Speaker 7: I wasn't going to defend it.
[59:53] Speaker 2: I was going there, right?
[59:54] Speaker 1: How many players did they actually see?
[59:57] Speaker 2: Guys want to play, right? I don't.
[1:00:01] Speaker 1: So we know soft means soft, though, right?
[1:00:03] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:00:04] Speaker 5: And you in the back, you know what I'm saying?
[1:00:07] Speaker 5: It's like you could play, but you don't want to play.
[1:00:09] Speaker 7: So to what you were saying, right, guys have to
[1:00:12] Speaker 7: keep that in mind, right? Now that this rule has
[1:00:14] Speaker 7: been in place, we don't know if they're going to
[1:00:16] Speaker 7: change it, throw it out, or whatever the case may be,
[1:00:18] Speaker 7: the 65 games. We all know injuries are a part
[1:00:22] Speaker 7: of this sport, right? At any given time, anything can happen.
[1:00:27] Speaker 7: ankle sprain, you can knee contusion, anything can happen where
[1:00:30] Speaker 7: you possibly can miss games.
[1:00:33] Speaker 2: So our mindset, the way we went about it is.
[1:00:37] Speaker 7: Like, I'm playing, because at any given time, I could
[1:00:41] Speaker 7: be on the sideline. So there was nothing that nobody
[1:00:44] Speaker 7: could come to us and say that was going to
[1:00:46] Speaker 7: deter us from wanting to play. This is a player's league, right?
[1:00:52] Speaker 7: And it's the teams that's trying to protect this thing
[1:00:56] Speaker 7: And these players from, like, because you can't. As we've proven,
[1:01:01] Speaker 7: you can't prevent injuries. You're sitting guys out. It's these
[1:01:05] Speaker 7: teams making these decisions. Guys want to play. It's these
[1:01:09] Speaker 7: teams making these decisions and babying these guys trying to
[1:01:13] Speaker 7: prevent certain things, which you can't, as we've proven.
[1:01:18] Speaker 2: Players want to play. We get paid to play. That's
[1:01:20] Speaker 2: just what it is, man.
[1:01:22] Speaker 1: Maybe it looks like he didn't want to play that game, though.
[1:01:25] Speaker 2: That's a different case.
[1:01:26] Speaker 1: Why would you say that?
[1:01:27] Speaker 2: That's a different scenario.
[1:01:28] Speaker 11: Oh, you didn't even watch the game. You didn't even
[1:01:30] Speaker 11: watch the game. You're just saying shit now. You didn't
[1:01:32] Speaker 11: even watch the game. But I was going to get
[1:01:35] Speaker 11: to that. So let's get back to being a competitor, right?
[1:01:39] Speaker 11: In the competitive nature. We looked at it and was like,
[1:01:43] Speaker 11: what happened? We didn't get hit, but we looked at
[1:01:46] Speaker 11: it like.
[1:01:49] Speaker 7: At certain times, doing certain things, you got to play
[1:01:51] Speaker 7: through some shit, dog. That's just what it is. That's
[1:01:55] Speaker 7: a situation where Joel is looked at as here. You
[1:01:59] Speaker 7: didn't play the one game against Nikola. We think you
[1:02:02] Speaker 7: ducked him. You had a decent game against Nikola the
[1:02:05] Speaker 7: next time you saw.
[1:02:07] Speaker 2: Come out and- Did you say.
[1:02:08] Speaker 1: A decent game?
[1:02:08] Speaker 2: You lost.
[1:02:09] Speaker 1: Did you say a decent game?
[1:02:10] Speaker 2: You said a decent game? I'm using your terminologies and words.
[1:02:14] Speaker 2: Give him credit. He played well. He played very well.
[1:02:16] Speaker 2: He played well.
[1:02:17] Speaker 1: He played very well. So my thing was, with.
[1:02:20] Speaker 7: Joel being out there, Joel playing, he ain't played a
[1:02:22] Speaker 7: whole lot this year. I'm looking forward to this bump.
[1:02:27] Speaker 2: Right? I'm going to get him back. You're going to
[1:02:29] Speaker 2: have to carry me off of here. I'm playing well
[1:02:33] Speaker 2: up to this point.
[1:02:35] Speaker 5: 17-7-3 in 16-17 minutes.
[1:02:39] Speaker 2: I'm on to something tonight. What did you just say
[1:02:41] Speaker 2: before your statement, though?
[1:02:42] Speaker 10: You said the organizations are making these decisions.
[1:02:46] Speaker 2: But he started the game.
[1:02:47] Speaker 5: But I started the game. I feel well enough to finish.
[1:02:50] Speaker 5: If he go back there and they say.
[1:02:52] Speaker 2: Fuck that. Chill. Fuck that.
[1:02:53] Speaker 1: So left the game in the second quarter.
[1:02:55] Speaker 2: Came back, played like five, six more minutes. Stubbed himself
[1:02:58] Speaker 2: out with 44 seconds to go. He don't know what
[1:03:00] Speaker 2: to grab. Do you see how... Yeah, it's Itis. You
[1:03:02] Speaker 2: making shit up, Nick. It's not cool to make shit up.
[1:03:06] Speaker 2: Show the tape. You're not even... You're not even watching it.
[1:03:10] Speaker 2: You're not even making... Here comes.
[1:03:11] Speaker 5: You're not even watching the game, bro.
[1:03:14] Speaker 2: He had 14 in first half. 14 in 14 minutes.
[1:03:16] Speaker 2: What are you talking about? What happened to him?
[1:03:21] Speaker 7: That's why I asked what I asked the other day
[1:03:24] Speaker 7: about Mikael Bridges.
[1:03:27] Speaker 2: That's why I asked what I asked about Mikael Bridges.
[1:03:31] Speaker 2: He's played more games than anybody. He ain't missed. I'm
[1:03:34] Speaker 2: pretty sure he got.
[1:03:35] Speaker 7: Nicks and nacks and bruises and he fucking hurting.
[1:03:38] Speaker 2: The team coming to him like, you won't know. We're
[1:03:42] Speaker 2: not going to say nothing about Luka and AR. That's
[1:03:45] Speaker 2: the same thing.
[1:03:46] Speaker 5: Luka should have kept playing. Through a Grade two hamstring tear.
[1:03:53] Speaker 2: No. Look at this play right here. After this play.
[1:03:55] Speaker 2: Physically can't do it. Look, look, look. He got medically
[1:03:59] Speaker 2: cleared to play.
[1:04:00] Speaker 1: Come on, man.
[1:04:00] Speaker 2: Right after you do this. Until he got an MRI?
[1:04:06] Speaker 1: And then he run back confused like that.
[1:04:08] Speaker 2: He got an MRI, then they said he was... I.
[1:04:12] Speaker 5: Can't believe that shit.
[1:04:15] Speaker 2: Too big. Back to back. Did he grab his knee
[1:04:18] Speaker 2: just now? I think he was adjusting his... That's just
[1:04:22] Speaker 2: Nick being Nick. That's all.
[1:04:24] Speaker 7: I'm going back to the competitive thing here. I'm going
[1:04:27] Speaker 7: back to the competitive nature of situations, right? Joel out
[1:04:31] Speaker 7: here playing, man. I want that action.
[1:04:35] Speaker 5: That's just what it is, man. And beat 34-12 in
[1:04:37] Speaker 5: the game. But Wimby, 15 minutes, 17 points. He tried
[1:04:41] Speaker 5: to come back. 17-7, three blocks.
[1:04:43] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. You were on to something good.
[1:04:45] Speaker 3: Left the game early second quarter, came back, played like
[1:04:47] Speaker 3: four or five more minutes.
[1:04:49] Speaker 10: So if you him, you don't think he wants to
[1:04:52] Speaker 10: come back?
[1:04:53] Speaker 2: He did. He did. So he tried. He came back.
[1:04:56] Speaker 2: He tried to come back. And I'm going to finish
[1:04:57] Speaker 2: the game, bro. Triple step back, man.
[1:05:00] Speaker 6: That's back-to-back, though.
[1:05:01] Speaker 2: MVP's bad.
[1:05:03] Speaker 5: He just said, that's trauma right there.
[1:05:07] Speaker 2: Out of his mouth, I want to be great.
[1:05:09] Speaker 5: I want to be listed as the greats.
[1:05:11] Speaker 1: The greats have done this. You great, bro.
[1:05:13] Speaker 2: Y'all just... Y'all started with the quicksand. And then you
[1:05:15] Speaker 2: got to see Yogurt again. You looking at the casual?
[1:05:18] Speaker 2: You started... I'm being weird. If he do that on you,
[1:05:25] Speaker 2: what you doing? If he just stomp on you like that,
[1:05:27] Speaker 2: I don't know what. You coming out the game? Stop
[1:05:29] Speaker 2: being weird. Are you coming out the game? I'm not
[1:05:32] Speaker 2: trying to come back out of the game. Okay. I'm
[1:05:34] Speaker 2: saying them two dogs are in the game. Huh?
[1:05:39] Speaker 5: I don't care what it was. That's trauma. Young boy
[1:05:41] Speaker 5: got trauma after what that Jokic did.
[1:05:43] Speaker 2: Then I got to come see this? You don't do that.
[1:05:46] Speaker 2: And even more competitively, right?
[1:05:48] Speaker 5: That man scored 70 on me at one point, dog.
[1:05:51] Speaker 2: Fuck all that, dog.
[1:05:53] Speaker 7: Hey, I need some constant try to get back.
[1:05:58] Speaker 2: 70? Sacre bleu.
[1:06:00] Speaker 5: 70 without warming up. I don't know when we know it.
[1:06:03] Speaker 5: The man didn't warm up before he scored 70. And
[1:06:05] Speaker 5: then the other dude hit a game winner. Nick, the
[1:06:08] Speaker 5: man didn't warm up. The man showed up in the
[1:06:10] Speaker 5: locker room, put his uniform on, and came out and.
[1:06:14] Speaker 2: Said, he not paying attention to none of this. I
[1:06:16] Speaker 2: want him to play. I want him to be French.
[1:06:18] Speaker 2: Number one up right here, man. You better pay attention.
[1:06:21] Speaker 2: At the top of the top. You better get ready
[1:06:23] Speaker 2: because they better be. At the top of the top.
[1:06:24] Speaker 2: I have it on good authority. When we watch this,
[1:06:26] Speaker 2: Gil's Arena presented by Underdog.
[1:06:27] Speaker 1: I just want him to be French first.
[1:06:29] Speaker 5: You said he ducked Joker.
[1:06:32] Speaker 2: He did. Did he not play the last game? He
[1:06:34] Speaker 2: got baptized. Did he play? He couldn't duck. He gave
[1:06:37] Speaker 2: up 40 points. Did he play, though? He played. He played.
[1:06:39] Speaker 2: He gave up 40. You said he was going to duck. No,
[1:06:41] Speaker 2: I didn't say he was going to duck. Yes, you did.
[1:06:43] Speaker 2: He already ducked. You said, bro. He can't duck him
[1:06:45] Speaker 2: twice in a week. All right, so he did. You
[1:06:47] Speaker 2: can't duck him twice in a week. So he did duck.
[1:06:49] Speaker 2: Come back again. So then he didn't duck, right? He can't.
[1:06:52] Speaker 2: He didn't. You can't.
[1:06:53] Speaker 5: So what was his stat line in the game he
[1:06:55] Speaker 5: didn't duck?
[1:06:56] Speaker 2: He had 37. Gave up 37, 34, 18, 5, 6, 5.
[1:06:58] Speaker 2: He did not duck.
[1:06:58] Speaker 5: All I'm saying is he didn't duck. I don't care
[1:07:00] Speaker 5: about what the other dude did. Oh, you don't care?
[1:07:02] Speaker 2: No, because we're not talking about what he did. We're
[1:07:05] Speaker 2: talking about ducking.
[1:07:06] Speaker 1: We're talking about ducking.
[1:07:07] Speaker 2: The other guy had 40. No turnovers. 14, 13, and
[1:07:08] Speaker 2: no turnovers. Huh? Yeah, but you're 37 against your guy.
[1:07:29] Speaker 2: You didn't guard me at all the whole game. Duck.
[1:07:33] Speaker 2: Who ducked who? So who guarded who then?
[1:07:36] Speaker 5: I guarded you. You did not guard me. You got
[1:07:38] Speaker 5: Aaron Gordon on me.
[1:07:39] Speaker 2: What you mean? You're supposed to be the best defender.
[1:07:41] Speaker 2: What you mean? You're supposed to be the best defender.
[1:07:43] Speaker 2: Do your job. You're the guy. You're supposed to be
[1:07:44] Speaker 2: the guy. Do your job.
[1:07:46] Speaker 5: I thought Joker was the moving number 40. I thought
[1:07:48] Speaker 5: Joker played defense too. You're supposed to be the defensive guy, right?
[1:07:51] Speaker 2: Guard up.
[1:07:52] Speaker 5: 40.
[1:07:52] Speaker 1: 40.
[1:07:52] Speaker 2: Okay. So y'all agree with each other. So y'all agree
[1:07:56] Speaker 2: with each other.
[1:07:56] Speaker 3: Right.
[1:07:57] Speaker 2: He's the defense. Right? Yeah. Nikola don't fit that conversation.
[1:08:00] Speaker 2: We can't put Nikola in.
[1:08:01] Speaker 1: The defensive conversation.
[1:08:03] Speaker 2: Nikola don't do that. So don't guard. Don't guard. Guess
[1:08:05] Speaker 2: what Nikola do? Don't guard. Hey. Guess what Nikola do?
[1:08:08] Speaker 2: Don't guard. Boom. 40. All right. So as hoopers, y'all
[1:08:12] Speaker 2: agree with that. So as hoopers, you agree with that. Okay.
[1:08:16] Speaker 5: I want the people to know what y'all are. agreeing to.
[1:08:20] Speaker 5: Nikola don't play this. We can't put Nikola. Nikola ain't
[1:08:22] Speaker 5: never going to be listening to this. Nikola ain't never
[1:08:24] Speaker 5: heard of this. You just said ducking. You just said
[1:08:27] Speaker 5: you want him to compete. You just said you want
[1:08:30] Speaker 5: Wimby to compete.
[1:08:32] Speaker 2: You just said that.
[1:08:33] Speaker 5: I want him to compete against Joel. But Joker don't
[1:08:36] Speaker 5: want to guard Wimby. where's the competition 40 where's the
[1:08:40] Speaker 5: competition 40 ball right 48 48 let's contradict ourselves hey.
[1:08:47] Speaker 10: Aaron gordon why won't you let him guard me it's
[1:08:49] Speaker 10: a 40 ball hey aaron why won't.
[1:08:51] Speaker 2: You let him guard me Aaron? Because it ain't the
[1:08:53] Speaker 2: game plan. Hey, listen, Wimby. We're talking basketball, right? Hey, Wimby,
[1:08:56] Speaker 2: you know you can't guard me. Hey, Wimby. That ain't
[1:08:59] Speaker 2: the game plan. You know you can't guard me. You
[1:09:01] Speaker 2: know you can't guard me. That ain't the game plan. Relax, man.
[1:09:04] Speaker 5: Guess what the scouting report said when they came in
[1:09:06] Speaker 5: the locker room, when it said matchups. You're not guarding
[1:09:09] Speaker 5: Wimby tonight, Joker. You're not guarding Joker, so don't think
[1:09:12] Speaker 5: about it.
[1:09:13] Speaker 2: Don't think about it. In the other locker room, guess
[1:09:16] Speaker 2: what the scouting report said? Wimby, Nikola. Five blocks. Forty.
[1:09:24] Speaker 2: Five blocks. Forty. Five blocks. Five blocks. He had three blocks.
[1:09:33] Speaker 2: He had three blocks. No turnovers. Five blocks.
[1:09:37] Speaker 1: No turnovers.
[1:09:38] Speaker 2: No turnovers. 13 dimes. 13 dimes. No turnovers. Watch out, man.
[1:09:41] Speaker 2: Watch out. Y'all turned it into clickbait, guys. I don't understand.
[1:09:51] Speaker 2: I never seen y'all acting like this before, man. I
[1:09:54] Speaker 2: never seen y'all acting like this before, man. I know
[1:09:57] Speaker 2: you scored seven in overtime. Seven out of the 12.
[1:10:00] Speaker 2: Give me a rock. I'm going to make the pass.
[1:10:03] Speaker 5: I never seen y'all act like this.
[1:10:06] Speaker 2: I never seen y'all act like this, man. Who's going
[1:10:08] Speaker 2: to call it overtime? Wimmy. And he scored seven out
[1:10:10] Speaker 2: of 12. Who was Nikola guarding? Hey, the W. Okay.
[1:10:14] Speaker 5: Hey, he was guarding they win. Hey, he was guarding
[1:10:18] Speaker 5: they win. Make sure they get they win. That's what
[1:10:19] Speaker 5: he was guarding.
[1:10:20] Speaker 2: Everything funny when I don't say it right. It's funny, right?
[1:10:24] Speaker 2: That's what we got. We all used to laugh at
[1:10:28] Speaker 2: my coach.
[1:10:29] Speaker 5: That's what we got to now.
[1:10:31] Speaker 2: What is he guarding? Let's keep this thing moving.

[1:11:54] Speaker 2: did that. Huh?
[1:11:55] Speaker 1: I didn't know they won.
[1:11:56] Speaker 2: You did.
[1:11:57] Speaker 5: I'm just looking at you, UCLA, and I'm like, oh, shit,
[1:11:58] Speaker 5: they're in the championship against Don Stanley.
[1:12:00] Speaker 2: No, they're not. Don Stanley? No, they're not. They didn't.
[1:12:03] Speaker 2: South Carolina forfeited. Gapped up in everything.
[1:12:06] Speaker 6: They got wowed.
[1:12:08] Speaker 2: They got boomed on. Shout out Corey Close. When was
[1:12:11] Speaker 2: the game? Lauren Betts. Oh, it wasn't no game. Gabby Hotcast.
[1:12:14] Speaker 2: It wasn't no game.
[1:12:15] Speaker 9: Tiki Rice.
[1:12:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, they got boomed on.
[1:12:17] Speaker 1: Huh?
[1:12:17] Speaker 2: It wasn't no game. You're a fan of women's basketball.
[1:12:19] Speaker 2: It was about 30. No, but when was the game? Sunday. Sunday, yeah. 30.
[1:12:24] Speaker 2: Easter Sunday. Forfeited. She is risen. Oh, that's wild. Yeah,
[1:12:27] Speaker 2: they got forfeited. She is risen. Yeah, they forfeited.
[1:12:29] Speaker 5: She is risen.
[1:12:29] Speaker 2: It was on Easter. It was on Easter. I was like.
[1:12:32] Speaker 2: Because I wanted to see the game.
[1:12:34] Speaker 1: Oh, shit.
[1:12:35] Speaker 2: And it's nothing.
[1:12:36] Speaker 6: It was nothing to see.
[1:12:36] Speaker 2: It was nothing to see. Yo, are they really. It's crazy.
[1:12:41] Speaker 2: Are they really. I just got an update for you.
[1:12:43] Speaker 7: Are they really like ranking college basketball teams for next year?
[1:12:49] Speaker 5: Them niggas just played yesterday. And the transfer portal opens today.
[1:12:52] Speaker 5: And that's the next point I was making.
[1:12:55] Speaker 7: Damn near 85% of these kids transferring from the school
[1:12:58] Speaker 7: they at. So you can't rank them. My home Ohio
[1:13:01] Speaker 7: went unranked.
[1:13:01] Speaker 2: No shit. They don't know who they're going to have
[1:13:03] Speaker 2: next year. They don't know.
[1:13:04] Speaker 3: You got Michigan first starting five. And they don't know
[1:13:06] Speaker 3: who they're first to win a national championship. A few
[1:13:08] Speaker 3: of them might leave. A few of them might enter
[1:13:10] Speaker 3: the portal. You got the Tennessee women's basketball team. Only
[1:13:13] Speaker 3: one player on the roster right now.
[1:13:15] Speaker 7: She's incoming. They don't have an active player? On the
[1:13:19] Speaker 7: Tennessee women's team. They got one incoming freshman.
[1:13:25] Speaker 2: Players did.
[1:13:26] Speaker 7: It was one of the men's teams that had that.
[1:13:28] Speaker 2: Last year, it was like St. John's. Somebody a couple
[1:13:31] Speaker 2: years ago didn't have no active players on their roster.
[1:13:33] Speaker 2: They had to go out and get all 15. Well, hey.
[1:13:36] Speaker 3: Sean Corey Close, UCLA women's basketball squad. First NCAA national champion.
[1:13:40] Speaker 2: Congratulations. Thank you. I see you're still supporting Arizona. Yeah, yeah.
[1:13:43] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that was ass-whooping.
[1:13:45] Speaker 3: Now that was worse than South Carolina. How did that
[1:13:48] Speaker 3: game go? I saw a bunch of, saw Salim Stoudemire spying.
[1:13:52] Speaker 1: He was all in there. Looking sad.
[1:13:55] Speaker 2: Josh Pastner, a bunch of... Yeah, I was trying to
[1:13:57] Speaker 2: watch it. Tommy Lloyd? The score wasn't close enough to
[1:14:00] Speaker 2: watch it. Turned it on like, woo!
[1:14:05] Speaker 5: Woo!
[1:14:06] Speaker 1: Keep playing these video games.
[1:14:07] Speaker 2: I checked back in at the half. Woo. Got work.
[1:14:11] Speaker 2: All right. This is over. They got work. Woo. I
[1:14:15] Speaker 2: look like y'all didn't. What division was y'all in? Y'all
[1:14:19] Speaker 2: didn't go standard. Or not. All season long. Y'all silver.
[1:14:26] Speaker 2: This is silver product right here. God. All season long.
[1:14:29] Speaker 2: Wearing people out. You got a one-way ticket. What? They
[1:14:33] Speaker 2: will take everybody by at least $ 15, $ 20. Man.
[1:14:36] Speaker 6: Y'all like that over there.
[1:14:38] Speaker 2: It was Arkansas. Shout out Big Ten. Back to Big Ten.
[1:14:41] Speaker 7: Arkansas didn't have no players on their roster before Kyle.
[1:14:43] Speaker 2: Took the job. Let's keep this thing moving. Appreciate you.
[1:14:48] Speaker 2: Thank you to Rose Sparks, as always.
[1:14:50] Speaker 3: Lakers fans might need some Rose Sparks right about now
[1:14:53] Speaker 3: because the current situation with the team has got them
[1:14:55] Speaker 3: limper than a biscuit. The Lakers were 15-2 in March
[1:14:58] Speaker 3: behind a historic scoring spree from Luka Doncic and some
[1:15:01] Speaker 3: much-needed chemistry and cohesion from LeBron and Austin Reeves with
[1:15:04] Speaker 3: their trio finally advancing appearing to embrace their roles in
[1:15:07] Speaker 3: the team's big three. The third seed was within their grasp.
[1:15:11] Speaker 3: Lakers fans were out here smoking the Nuggets, Rockets, and
[1:15:13] Speaker 3: Wolves packs, not the most potent packs in the West,
[1:15:16] Speaker 3: still fired nonetheless. But April came with a belt-to-ass whooping
[1:15:20] Speaker 3: by the Thunder Thursday night where this happened. Midway through
[1:15:24] Speaker 3: the third quarter with the Lakers down 32 points. You
[1:15:27] Speaker 3: heard that right, 32 whole points. Luka tried to drive
[1:15:30] Speaker 3: on Jalen Williams, pulled up lane, eventually going to the
[1:15:33] Speaker 3: ground in pain. Luka diagnosed with a grade two hamstring strain.
[1:15:40] Speaker 3: Ruled out for the remainder of the regular season. Take
[1:15:44] Speaker 3: a look again. Didn't look like much. Luka had been
[1:15:48] Speaker 3: grabbing at the hamstring throughout the first half. Some of
[1:15:52] Speaker 3: the media claimed he was just trying to duck smoke with.
[1:15:55] Speaker 2: SGA and the Thunder. They proved to.
[1:15:58] Speaker 5: Be mistaken, incorrect. with their analysis and assessment. Nigga be
[1:16:05] Speaker 5: mad through the ball.
[1:16:06] Speaker 1: Wait, hold up, pass it.
[1:16:07] Speaker 2: You're going to turn the ball over full.
[1:16:09] Speaker 3: Yeah, I think grade two hamstring strain. So news only
[1:16:13] Speaker 3: got worse with the Lakers announcing Austin Reeves has a
[1:16:16] Speaker 3: grade two oblique strain will be sidelined for.
[1:16:19] Speaker 2: At least the next few weeks.
[1:16:21] Speaker 3: So according to Shams, Luka traveled to Spain to receive
[1:16:24] Speaker 3: injection procedures in his hamstring with the hopes that the
[1:16:27] Speaker 3: treatment speeds up his recovery. Gil, you previously said Lakers
[1:16:32] Speaker 3: in 2026. Then you said you weren't watching Lakers. Then
[1:16:34] Speaker 3: you started to watch Lakers again. What's your reaction to
[1:16:38] Speaker 3: the Lakers losing Luka and Austin Reeves for the rest
[1:16:41] Speaker 3: of the regular season?
[1:16:45] Speaker 5: I mean, you know, them not playing these next couple games,
[1:16:48] Speaker 5: we still going to sit in about, what, four or five?
[1:16:51] Speaker 2: Where's the Lakers going to finish? It's fifth in the West.
[1:16:53] Speaker 2: So we know where we're going to be. We still
[1:16:57] Speaker 2: have hope, Gil. Now, being healthy? No. You know, hamstring,
[1:17:02] Speaker 2: the way Luka plays, man, that can get triggered.
[1:17:04] Speaker 5: So hopefully when he's in Spain, they give him that
[1:17:07] Speaker 5: stuff that we don't allow here.
[1:17:09] Speaker 3: That gets out of your system quickly before you land back.
[1:17:12] Speaker 2: In the game.
[1:17:14] Speaker 5: You know, Austin Reeves, oblique, right? So is it on
[1:17:17] Speaker 5: the right side, left side? I mean, that's the shooting side.
[1:17:20] Speaker 5: Hopefully it's not. But, you know, that's the injury you
[1:17:24] Speaker 5: got to worry about. Listen, we're not fully cooked, but
[1:17:29] Speaker 5: the barbecue grill is on, the chef got his shit on,
[1:17:32] Speaker 5: the meat is all laid out, right?
[1:17:33] Speaker 2: They put the coals in, they put the gas on, right?
[1:17:36] Speaker 2: You know, he's just asking for the matches. A left oblique.
[1:17:41] Speaker 2: A left? Okay. They're asking for the matches, right? They
[1:17:45] Speaker 2: done put the meat out. Hey, hey, hey, can you
[1:17:48] Speaker 2: give me the matches? You know, that's all we're waiting
[1:17:50] Speaker 2: for right now. I'm going to say, turn that muscle on.
[1:17:54] Speaker 2: Turn that shit on. You're going into the playoffs. Everybody's
[1:17:57] Speaker 2: getting healthy, and we.
[1:18:02] Speaker 2: We in Spain right now. Come on, man. Our best
[1:18:04] Speaker 2: players in Spain. Flames blue. Get ready for next year.
[1:18:08] Speaker 2: You know them blue flames? You got Austin Reeves, right?
[1:18:11] Speaker 2: He ain't in a rush to get back. That was
[1:18:13] Speaker 2: just an ass-whooping. He ain't in a rush to get back.
[1:18:16] Speaker 2: I can tell you that for damn sure. That was
[1:18:18] Speaker 2: just an ass-whooping. You know what? Listen, just get ready
[1:18:22] Speaker 2: for next year, man. I'll feel a lot better with
[1:18:25] Speaker 2: a $ 40 million worth of injury right here. I ain't
[1:18:27] Speaker 2: going to come back. I'll feel a lot better with
[1:18:28] Speaker 2: this 240. I ain't going to come back and have
[1:18:31] Speaker 2: a horrible playoff and then y'all just muck my money down.
[1:18:35] Speaker 2: I'll come back game four. When we're down 3-0.
[1:18:39] Speaker 5: I thought he was supposed to come back and play
[1:18:43] Speaker 5: and be tough and be competitive.
[1:18:45] Speaker 6: No, they got to go overseas and get that. Both
[1:18:48] Speaker 6: of them. That Kobe treatment.
[1:18:49] Speaker 1: Kobe?
[1:18:50] Speaker 2: No. You're not holding the same? We're not holding the
[1:18:55] Speaker 2: same metric? Nope, because the nigga ain't scoring 70 on me. Nope,
[1:19:00] Speaker 2: it's not. Y'all down 30 in the second quarter.
[1:19:02] Speaker 5: They should have been out the game in the first quarter.
[1:19:04] Speaker 5: Y'all down 30 in the second quarter. They should have
[1:19:06] Speaker 5: been out the game.
[1:19:07] Speaker 2: Before the injury, he was down 30. They should have
[1:19:11] Speaker 2: been out the game already. But it looked like they
[1:19:14] Speaker 2: were poised to come back.
[1:19:15] Speaker 1: Fucking points.
[1:19:15] Speaker 5: You crazy as hell. Number two. I'm playing against number two.
[1:19:19] Speaker 5: I'm number one.
[1:19:21] Speaker 2: They're number two. I'm number one. He's number two.
[1:19:26] Speaker 6: Before scoring?
[1:19:27] Speaker 2: Yeah. He's number one. No, he's number one. I got
[1:19:31] Speaker 2: like eight. I was looking. He's number one. I got
[1:19:33] Speaker 2: eight at the time. Did you see how I looked?
[1:19:36] Speaker 2: If I got eight at a time or something like that,
[1:19:39] Speaker 2: and I'm about to leave, and he's going to have
[1:19:42] Speaker 2: like four.
[1:19:43] Speaker 1: The Lakers cooked, though.
[1:19:44] Speaker 7: It's unfortunate that the injuries happened when they did. Y'all
[1:19:47] Speaker 7: was going to lose first round either way it go.
[1:19:49] Speaker 2: Against the Rockets? That's not a realistic assessment. I don't
[1:19:51] Speaker 2: know about that. They played against the Rockets. So let
[1:19:53] Speaker 2: me tell you why. If they did Minnesota.
[1:19:55] Speaker 7: So, hey, y'all got to play. So this is, right?
[1:19:59] Speaker 7: The fact that y'all only outscoring people one and a
[1:20:02] Speaker 7: half points a night is alarming to me, right? Y'all
[1:20:06] Speaker 7: got to win the record, but y'all only outscoring folks
[1:20:08] Speaker 7: by one and a half points per night.
[1:20:14] Speaker 1: I'm not rolling with that.
[1:20:15] Speaker 2: But it's Rockets.
[1:20:16] Speaker 5: Right?
[1:20:16] Speaker 2: I don't think y'all beat them. The Rockets play slow, too.
[1:20:19] Speaker 2: They play slow, and they ain't got no shooters like that.
[1:20:21] Speaker 2: I'm about to say, yeah. They ain't got no daddy.
[1:20:22] Speaker 5: But guess what they got? The Lakers will have a
[1:20:23] Speaker 5: better chance. But the thing is, y'all got to ask.
[1:20:26] Speaker 5: So let me give you another one, Dan.
[1:20:29] Speaker 2: You play four white.
[1:20:30] Speaker 1: Boys, you ain't going to beat nobody. You don't want
[1:20:32] Speaker 1: to play OKC, man.
[1:20:32] Speaker 2: Hey. No, you don't want to see Minnesota. Hey, Gil. Hey, Gil.
[1:20:38] Speaker 5: Hey.
[1:20:39] Speaker 2: Hey, you ain't going to. That's why we got to
[1:20:41] Speaker 2: shoot them out.
[1:20:43] Speaker 5: New Age Caucasians. You ain't getting New Age. Because your
[1:20:45] Speaker 5: first two don't go out. Your first three don't go out.
[1:20:47] Speaker 2: Your first. Well, you play forward. You got six of
[1:20:51] Speaker 2: them on the roster.
[1:20:53] Speaker 1: Right?
[1:20:53] Speaker 2: Hey, you got six. Hold on. I want to know
[1:20:58] Speaker 2: what team has been successful with that many on one roster.
[1:21:03] Speaker 2: The Celtics back in the day. What Jazz team?
[1:21:06] Speaker 1: With Darren Williams.
[1:21:08] Speaker 2: Give me six white boys they had on their team.
[1:21:10] Speaker 1: They had Daryl Lincoln.
[1:21:11] Speaker 5: They had Matt Harper. They had Okur. They were really good.
[1:21:16] Speaker 5: Them three was really good.
[1:21:19] Speaker 1: They started with those three.
[1:21:21] Speaker 2: We got Luke Kennard.
[1:21:22] Speaker 1: Okay, and that's why y'all ain't going to beat nobody.
[1:21:24] Speaker 1: Luke don't play no defense.
[1:21:25] Speaker 2: Boston Celtics. Austin Reeves don't play. Dallas Macs.
[1:21:27] Speaker 1: In the 80s.
[1:21:27] Speaker 2: I had this conversation. Oh, no, no, no. I'm just tripping.
[1:21:30] Speaker 2: I had this conversation with somebody. No, no. Larry Bird,
[1:21:34] Speaker 2: a nigga. Yeah. Negro Tennyson. Yes. McHale. Danny Ainge, a
[1:21:41] Speaker 2: sewer rat. Yeah, I heard biting people and shit. Yes.
[1:21:44] Speaker 2: He don't count. High grade Caucasian, though.
[1:21:46] Speaker 5: Bill Walton, a hippie. Listen, Bill Walton was a hippie.
[1:21:51] Speaker 5: Kevin McHale probably would have been your closest.
[1:21:53] Speaker 2: Then.
[1:21:55] Speaker 7: And he out there swinging on him. Kevin McHale wasn't
[1:21:58] Speaker 7: no punk. But the point I'm making is Luka don't
[1:22:03] Speaker 7: play no D if he is healthy.
[1:22:04] Speaker 2: That's a problem.
[1:22:05] Speaker 7: Healthy or not, that's an issue on that side of
[1:22:07] Speaker 7: the ball. But him scoring 35 would help. But if
[1:22:10] Speaker 7: he's limited, good luck. Austin Reeves, your number two. You're
[1:22:13] Speaker 7: going to need him to score 24, 25, 26 to
[1:22:14] Speaker 7: beat anybody. Luke Kennard damn can't guard this goddamn coffee cup.
[1:22:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, I like him though. He can shoot that bitch though.
[1:22:24] Speaker 2: And then you're playing Jake. From all state? Then you got.
[1:22:28] Speaker 5: Dalton over there.
[1:22:31] Speaker 1: No, no, no.
[1:22:32] Speaker 2: We ain't playing him since last year. I like him, though.
[1:22:38] Speaker 2: Jake LaRabia has Negro tendencies. You ain't going to beat nobody.
[1:22:41] Speaker 2: I mean, this is.
[1:22:42] Speaker 5: Only like when you look at it, only because they
[1:22:44] Speaker 5: can't shoot the ball, so we sit in the zone
[1:22:46] Speaker 5: and force them.
[1:22:46] Speaker 2: That's our best chance. We could, but we could. I mean,
[1:22:49] Speaker 2: if our guys are hurting us. It's over.
[1:22:53] Speaker 5: If our guys are hurt right now and we limping
[1:22:56] Speaker 5: into the playoffs, it's not a good thing.
[1:22:57] Speaker 2: LeBron, LeBron, Philly got to be out there at 41.
[1:22:59] Speaker 2: LeBron got to be out there hurting.
[1:23:02] Speaker 7: He can do more, but it's just going to what detriment?
[1:23:04] Speaker 7: It's going to cost. To what detriment to everything else?
[1:23:06] Speaker 5: I just, I mean, it's either, do you care about
[1:23:10] Speaker 5: home advantage? That's the only question you're going to have
[1:23:12] Speaker 5: right now. Do you care about home advantage? If not,
[1:23:16] Speaker 5: Get as much rest as you can. Play the rest
[1:23:20] Speaker 5: of these guys. Let Luke Kennard and all of them
[1:23:23] Speaker 5: go out there. Let me see what you got. Get
[1:23:24] Speaker 5: ready for the playoffs. If you're the Lakers, you still
[1:23:26] Speaker 5: got to try to get the three seed.
[1:23:28] Speaker 2: Try. You got two games left.
[1:23:31] Speaker 1: You got two games left.
[1:23:33] Speaker 2: I mean, but that fan base on the road is crazy.
[1:23:34] Speaker 2: I got a janky knee right now, King. Who? I'm
[1:23:36] Speaker 2: just telling you. Who has a janky knee? Hope he's limited. No, no, no, no.
[1:23:42] Speaker 2: We saw what they did to us last year. They
[1:23:45] Speaker 2: ain't got runner's knee.
[1:23:46] Speaker 1: No, they don't want to play.
[1:23:47] Speaker 2: We see, but they got runner's knee. Same thing Steph had.
[1:23:50] Speaker 2: The Cosby Miss 27 game. Runner's knee? What is runner's knee? Yeah,
[1:23:53] Speaker 2: what is that? Apparently you run a lot. It's the
[1:23:55] Speaker 2: same as jumper's knee? Just fucking made it up. Is
[1:23:58] Speaker 2: it the same as tendonitis? It's for jumping than it
[1:24:00] Speaker 2: was for running. What the fuck is that? Runner's knee?
[1:24:03] Speaker 2: I know jumper's knee is tendonitis.
[1:24:05] Speaker 5: I heard shin splints from running.
[1:24:08] Speaker 2: I heard shin.
[1:24:08] Speaker 5: Splints from running. I heard you like shit like that
[1:24:10] Speaker 5: from running. I've never heard of runner's knee.
[1:24:14] Speaker 7: And somebody who didn't deal with this, hey, I had
[1:24:17] Speaker 7: these motherfuckers put back together multiple times.
[1:24:20] Speaker 3: So Lakers' last four games, they got the Thunder tonight,
[1:24:23] Speaker 3: a winnable game.
[1:24:25] Speaker 2: Huh?
[1:24:25] Speaker 1: Wait, who?
[1:24:26] Speaker 2: Thunder. Thunder.
[1:24:27] Speaker 1: The Lakers?
[1:24:28] Speaker 2: Coming off a high UCLA one. Yeah, I feel it.
[1:24:30] Speaker 2: Coming off a high.
[1:24:32] Speaker 1: As you should.
[1:24:32] Speaker 2: You'll see. As you should. They're going to get caught
[1:24:34] Speaker 2: slipping tonight. They just beat y'all by a king's ransom. Exactly.
[1:24:37] Speaker 2: It's called a rope-a-dope. Oh, I dig it. Then they
[1:24:41] Speaker 2: have the Golden State Warriors. The rope-a-goon.
[1:24:44] Speaker 1: That come back Utah.
[1:24:45] Speaker 3: And they got the Phoenix Suns and end the season
[1:24:47] Speaker 3: with the Utah Jazz. So, still a possibility.
[1:24:49] Speaker 2: Go on, foe. Yeah. There's a possibility to go 1-4.
[1:24:52] Speaker 2: Hold on, let me pull the Nuggets. Nah, we're going
[1:24:55] Speaker 2: to beat Utah. Y'all might be able to get Utah.
[1:24:57] Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to get Utah for sure.
[1:24:58] Speaker 3: Nuggets got Memphis, OKC, San Antonio to end this season.
[1:25:01] Speaker 2: Who? Memphis, OKC, San Antonio. That's what we got there.
[1:25:05] Speaker 2: Nuggets last three games.
[1:25:07] Speaker 3: Nuggets currently have a one-game lead over the Lakers for
[1:25:09] Speaker 3: the third spot, but Lakers own the tiebreaker from whipping
[1:25:12] Speaker 3: the Nuggets ass this season.
[1:25:15] Speaker 2: What they was doing, Joe? Burping joke.
[1:25:17] Speaker 6: Well, at least the Lakers are in it.
[1:25:19] Speaker 5: Huh?
[1:25:20] Speaker 2: It's the worst the Lakers can finish is fifth.
[1:25:22] Speaker 3: Obviously, Rockets will probably either finish fourth or fifth, so
[1:25:25] Speaker 3: you're looking first-round matchup.
[1:25:27] Speaker 5: One game for the third. Now, that's coaching right there.
[1:25:32] Speaker 5: This is going to be coaching. Whatever decision you make,
[1:25:34] Speaker 5: you're going to have to live with it. If you
[1:25:36] Speaker 5: try to go out there and get this third, that
[1:25:40] Speaker 5: means LeBron James is playing a lot. And then if
[1:25:44] Speaker 5: Luka and what's-his-name can't come back, swept.
[1:25:48] Speaker 2: Huh? Who?
[1:25:49] Speaker 1: LeBron ain't playing tonight?
[1:25:51] Speaker 6: He shouldn't play tonight.
[1:25:54] Speaker 1: Who he playing?
[1:25:55] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
[1:25:58] Speaker 1: He shouldn't play tonight.
[1:25:59] Speaker 2: Nah, Dalton Connect, get on out there, boy. I ain't
[1:26:04] Speaker 2: about to be by myself.
[1:26:06] Speaker 5: A.R.
[1:26:06] Speaker 2: Knows a little bit. I'm by myself at 40. With
[1:26:10] Speaker 2: Kawhi over there. He can't enough. What? I believe in Kawhi.
[1:26:16] Speaker 2: But he ain't enough. Never. They don't get one game? No. Who?
[1:26:19] Speaker 6: If the Clippers meet up with the Spurs first round.
[1:26:21] Speaker 1: Sweep.
[1:26:23] Speaker 2: And we'll be over here with that bruise. I bet already.
[1:26:26] Speaker 2: And we'll be over here with that bruise. We got
[1:26:28] Speaker 2: a bet. With a bruise rib, he averaged 40 against
[1:26:30] Speaker 2: the Clippers. I think Clippers could get at least two
[1:26:33] Speaker 2: off of the Spurs. Who? Wimby with the Bruins? I
[1:26:37] Speaker 2: better go. Hawaii? I ain't rolling. Back to San Antonio?
[1:26:40] Speaker 2: I ain't rolling.
[1:26:40] Speaker 6: If I'm teams, I'm going to test some Wimby.
[1:26:42] Speaker 2: I ain't rolling. They ain't got nobody.
[1:26:44] Speaker 1: Fragile.
[1:26:44] Speaker 2: Brooke Lopez.
[1:26:45] Speaker 5: I mean, Wimby is there, but you... Man, they got
[1:26:49] Speaker 5: some high-level guards, dog. They got some high-level guards that attack.
[1:26:56] Speaker 2: Like, I don't know if anybody pits. It's like they
[1:26:58] Speaker 2: got three. Don't just say so did the Clippers.
[1:27:00] Speaker 5: They got like three Derrick Roses coming to the basket.
[1:27:04] Speaker 2: No, I mean what I'm saying, like jumping ability.
[1:27:07] Speaker 5: Like, worrying about Wimby is one thing, but you got
[1:27:09] Speaker 5: three guards.
[1:27:11] Speaker 2: That are sitting with a damn near 47-inch vertical. That's crazy.
[1:27:14] Speaker 2: Playing down here. And then all damn near two of them, six, six.
[1:27:19] Speaker 7: Kawhi can't guard Castle. He can't guard and Fox and
[1:27:23] Speaker 7: every possession. He can't guard all of them possessions.
[1:27:25] Speaker 2: He's going to have to go fuck around and try
[1:27:27] Speaker 2: to put him on him.
[1:27:28] Speaker 5: That's what they're going to do. That's what they're going
[1:27:29] Speaker 5: to have to try to do. And it ain't going
[1:27:32] Speaker 5: to work.
[1:27:32] Speaker 1: That's all he got to do.
[1:27:34] Speaker 2: That's not going to work. Beat him up a little bit.
[1:27:36] Speaker 7: Then you do that, then Castle getting off and Fox
[1:27:40] Speaker 7: getting off. And they're going to get off regardless.
[1:27:42] Speaker 4: I've seen that game in Denver. They didn't know what
[1:27:45] Speaker 4: to do. They was trying to pass it, force feed
[1:27:47] Speaker 4: it to Winby.
[1:27:48] Speaker 1: They were confused.
[1:27:49] Speaker 4: Fox didn't even want to drive.
[1:27:52] Speaker 2: It was just that game.
[1:27:53] Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying, though.
[1:27:56] Speaker 2: Because the other guy was busting his ass. Of course.
[1:27:58] Speaker 5: That's what a good guard is supposed to do.
[1:28:02] Speaker 2: Get your get back. I see he going at you. Hey,
[1:28:05] Speaker 2: big fella, here you go. Winby, here you go. Run
[1:28:08] Speaker 2: his pick. Pop, nigga. Yeah, that's what a good guard
[1:28:14] Speaker 2: is supposed to do. Deferred.
[1:28:16] Speaker 4: That's been an issue, not deferring to Wimby.
[1:28:22] Speaker 2: Deferred to him. Turn five.
[1:28:26] Speaker 7: Show ass on the block, big fella. They got Aaron
[1:28:28] Speaker 7: Gordon guarding you. Turn and shoot over him.
[1:28:30] Speaker 2: Can't.
[1:28:31] Speaker 1: Not yet.
[1:28:32] Speaker 5: He ain't going to post up on the block. You
[1:28:34] Speaker 5: got two guards that do the same damn. Didn't Castle
[1:28:36] Speaker 5: have a triple-double? Castle did have a triple-double against the Seahawks.
[1:28:39] Speaker 5: One came off the bench, scored 17, 18.
[1:28:43] Speaker 7: Man, Castle out here gets 40-point triple-doubles, man. That's the
[1:28:46] Speaker 7: regular season. In the playoff series, he going to get
[1:28:49] Speaker 7: somebody held, bro. The way he play, they going to win.
[1:28:53] Speaker 7: Them guards about to eat. Him and Fox are going
[1:28:55] Speaker 7: to destroy the Clippers, bro. If that's the match. They
[1:28:58] Speaker 7: got to get in first.
[1:28:59] Speaker 2: 2.7. Hands up.
[1:29:00] Speaker 3: Being what it is. But let's shift back to these
[1:29:02] Speaker 3: Lakers real quick. So we talked about Luka, Austin Reeves
[1:29:04] Speaker 3: playing in that second half. Lakers down 30-plus, 40 at times.
[1:29:09] Speaker 3: So after the Thunder game, J.J. Redick was asked about
[1:29:11] Speaker 3: playing both Luka and Reeves in the second half of
[1:29:13] Speaker 3: the blowout, despite both of them looking banged up early
[1:29:15] Speaker 3: in the game, had this response.
[1:29:17] Speaker 2: We checked him out. He got work done.
[1:29:20] Speaker 12: He was cleared. I mean, again, we're not going to
[1:29:22] Speaker 12: put a player at risk. Those things happen.
[1:29:26] Speaker 2: Like you said, I mean, Austin was grabbing at it
[1:29:27] Speaker 2: in the first half.
[1:29:29] Speaker 1: Grabbed at it the second time he was out there.
[1:29:31] Speaker 5: Is there a thought that it's maybe not worth it
[1:29:33] Speaker 5: to play him tonight considering you guys are.
[1:29:36] Speaker 2: Two weeks away?
[1:29:37] Speaker 1: It was discussed at halftime.
[1:29:39] Speaker 12: Thought we'd give those guys about six minutes and then
[1:29:42] Speaker 12: we were going to, if we didn't cut into the lead,
[1:29:44] Speaker 12: we were going to pull them. Obviously, it was around
[1:29:46] Speaker 12: that time. I don't remember the exact time, but that happened.
[1:29:52] Speaker 2: Down 30 at half, right? Right. You go in and
[1:29:59] Speaker 2: you cool down at halftime. Okay.
[1:30:06] Speaker 7: And the thought, we come out here and see how
[1:30:09] Speaker 7: they go.
[1:30:10] Speaker 2: Okay.
[1:30:12] Speaker 7: Hamstring ain't go loose and get more loose. If you
[1:30:15] Speaker 7: sit down at halftime, it ain't go, it's gone. I
[1:30:20] Speaker 7: ain't never strained no bleep, but I'm assuming if he
[1:30:23] Speaker 7: was grabbing at it early, it was bothering him.
[1:30:28] Speaker 5: But, that statement kind of contradicts what the mass media
[1:30:39] Speaker 5: wants to push about players they had a discussion if
[1:30:45] Speaker 5: they were going to keep them out there or bring
[1:30:47] Speaker 5: them they as the team not the players because if
[1:30:51] Speaker 5: the players are hurt right I'm too hurt I'm not
[1:30:54] Speaker 5: going to go out there play we're down 30 You
[1:30:56] Speaker 5: know how they say the players don't want to show up?
[1:30:58] Speaker 2: If I'm down 30 and I'm hurt, I'm going to
[1:31:01] Speaker 2: sit down. But a player is a competitor. We go
[1:31:06] Speaker 2: out there and play. We want to play.
[1:31:08] Speaker 5: The only thing that stops us from playing is if
[1:31:11] Speaker 5: we get the head guy, the coach, tells us, Hey,
[1:31:16] Speaker 5: not tonight. We're going to check something else out.
[1:31:19] Speaker 2: Say it again. The head coach say what? We're not
[1:31:21] Speaker 2: going to play you tonight. Go ahead and sit down. Boom, boom, boom.
[1:31:25] Speaker 5: So the problem earlier with the 65, Ken, you were
[1:31:29] Speaker 5: saying that the blame is being put on the players
[1:31:34] Speaker 5: when players already know my stats, my playing time equals
[1:31:39] Speaker 5: the moolah. More playing time, more stats, more money. That
[1:31:45] Speaker 5: is the rule of thumb for for us. So most
[1:31:48] Speaker 5: players want to play 48 minutes.
[1:31:52] Speaker 2: We don't want to get subbed out.
[1:31:53] Speaker 5: We know it's part of the game where you got
[1:31:55] Speaker 5: to sub us, but we don't really want to get
[1:31:57] Speaker 5: subbed out.
[1:31:57] Speaker 2: None of us. Right.
[1:31:59] Speaker 5: We have we have bench players on the bench who's
[1:32:02] Speaker 5: complaining that they can't get off the bench. Like so
[1:32:04] Speaker 5: that the end of that bench is our man. They
[1:32:06] Speaker 5: can give me a couple of minutes because it equals money.
[1:32:09] Speaker 5: So the idea that you have somebody like Joel Embiid
[1:32:13] Speaker 5: talking about, I don't know why they keep sitting me down.
[1:32:15] Speaker 5: You think Wimby always subs himself out at 29 minutes?
[1:32:18] Speaker 2: You don't think he wants to play 40-something minutes? Because
[1:32:20] Speaker 2: he knows if his minutes are played like everybody else,
[1:32:24] Speaker 2: he would be clearly the MVP.
[1:32:26] Speaker 5: There would be no discussion. But he's on a minute restriction.
[1:32:29] Speaker 5: He didn't put himself on a minute restriction. Joel Embiid's
[1:32:32] Speaker 5: getting sit down. Giannis, they said, hey, we don't want
[1:32:37] Speaker 5: you to play no more this season.
[1:32:39] Speaker 2: So if.
[1:32:42] Speaker 5: Everything's pointing at the organization is sitting the players, why
[1:32:49] Speaker 5: is no one saying, hey, this is a conflict? See,
[1:32:54] Speaker 5: you're using little injuries here and there, and you're trying
[1:32:58] Speaker 5: to keep everybody under the 65 because it helps your
[1:33:01] Speaker 5: pockets a lot.
[1:33:03] Speaker 2: It does it.
[1:33:05] Speaker 5: How much money does the Lakers save because Luka doesn't
[1:33:08] Speaker 5: activate that?
[1:33:09] Speaker 2: Because he didn't make it last year. Nor is he
[1:33:11] Speaker 2: going to make it this year. Luka already signed his
[1:33:13] Speaker 2: three-year extension. No, for the next.
[1:33:14] Speaker 5: This two years not making it, he don't sign.
[1:33:18] Speaker 2: Super, super max. Right? So once LeBron is gone, how
[1:33:22] Speaker 2: much money does the Lakers actually have now? A ton. Right?
[1:33:26] Speaker 5: So there's benefits from the standpoint of the organization where
[1:33:30] Speaker 5: you want to keep players active. under 65 because it
[1:33:34] Speaker 5: benefits you financially.
[1:33:36] Speaker 2: Right?
[1:33:36] Speaker 5: So you're going to do everything in your power yourself
[1:33:39] Speaker 5: by subbing over. We're going to get a little break.
[1:33:42] Speaker 2: We're going to do this. We're going to do that.
[1:33:43] Speaker 2: And you can't override the coach. You just sub yourself in.
[1:33:49] Speaker 10: Watching the Laker game, I remember distinctly going back on defense,
[1:33:57] Speaker 10: my hamstring hurt and my oblique hurt. But when I
[1:34:01] Speaker 10: got the ball, disappeared I was able to make my
[1:34:06] Speaker 10: moves I was able to go to my shot now
[1:34:09] Speaker 10: granted they were playing good defense and I was missing
[1:34:10] Speaker 10: but when I was on offense I didn't we didn't
[1:34:14] Speaker 10: see no nothing nothing was wrong but when on defense
[1:34:18] Speaker 10: ah ah they were grabbing their leg on defense grabbing
[1:34:22] Speaker 10: this on offense I mean on defense and then we
[1:34:25] Speaker 10: go down you don't see dribbling with one hand Holding
[1:34:28] Speaker 10: and you don't see that.
[1:34:29] Speaker 2: You don't see this. You don't see none of that.
[1:34:32] Speaker 2: That was on offense though, Sean.
[1:34:34] Speaker 10: I'm just saying like when you talk about getting blasted
[1:34:38] Speaker 10: by 30 in the first half and then you go
[1:34:42] Speaker 10: in the second half, you go in the halftime and
[1:34:44] Speaker 10: the coach says, are you guys good? You would have
[1:34:49] Speaker 10: to get the okay from the player for the player
[1:34:51] Speaker 10: to go back out there if the coach is asking
[1:34:53] Speaker 10: them at halftime.
[1:34:55] Speaker 2: Are you good? Are you sure you're good? No, no, no.
[1:34:58] Speaker 2: We're good, coach. We're good.
[1:35:00] Speaker 6: Okay.
[1:35:01] Speaker 1: You sure?
[1:35:01] Speaker 2: No, no, no. We're good. We're good. All right. Go ahead.
[1:35:08] Speaker 10: So it just seems to me, it's just, you know,
[1:35:10] Speaker 10: it's not, I'm not going to say it's a double
[1:35:11] Speaker 10: standard or a full circle moment, nothing like that, but
[1:35:13] Speaker 10: I'm just going to say like, it doesn't sound right.
[1:35:15] Speaker 1: It doesn't sound right.
[1:35:16] Speaker 10: I mean, everybody can go out there and play and
[1:35:18] Speaker 10: then you say your competitors and then you say the
[1:35:21] Speaker 10: coach want to keep you out.
[1:35:22] Speaker 1: And you're going to say, you know, It's staying healthy.
[1:35:26] Speaker 2: I don't know what it is.
[1:35:27] Speaker 5: I mean, but I'm just saying if they didn't want
[1:35:30] Speaker 5: to play, if they don't want to play, they would
[1:35:32] Speaker 5: have just not came back at halftime.
[1:35:35] Speaker 2: Right? Like Giannis. You think Giannis wants to not play?
[1:35:40] Speaker 6: No.
[1:35:40] Speaker 2: Oh, no.
[1:35:40] Speaker 1: He wants to play.
[1:35:41] Speaker 2: Yeah. He wants to play. The one thing out of
[1:35:44] Speaker 2: all of this when I first said it, remember when
[1:35:46] Speaker 2: it first came out? And you know me, I think
[1:35:48] Speaker 2: like a general manager, how do I save money? Right?
[1:35:52] Speaker 2: You know, I mean, that's what I'm saying.
[1:35:53] Speaker 5: If my best player or somebody whose contract year is
[1:35:55] Speaker 5: here and there's 63 games and we got three games left.
[1:36:00] Speaker 2: Oh, you ain't playing.
[1:36:01] Speaker 5: I'm finding all kinds of ways not to play you
[1:36:03] Speaker 5: so you don't activate another $ 100 million. If I can
[1:36:07] Speaker 5: get you for 240 instead of 350, I'm going to
[1:36:10] Speaker 5: do everything in my power to do that.
[1:36:12] Speaker 1: Matthew's a star player, though.
[1:36:14] Speaker 5: If he gets hurt and you got a grade two,
[1:36:17] Speaker 5: grade one, you better always get a second opinion. Because
[1:36:20] Speaker 5: I'm going to tell you, my daughter is going to
[1:36:21] Speaker 5: say it's a great goddamn three.
[1:36:23] Speaker 2: Three, motherfucker. You're going to be out ten weeks. The fuck?
[1:36:28] Speaker 5: It's $ 100 million, $ 200 million that's on the line. What
[1:36:32] Speaker 5: are you willing to do? Remember I said this about
[1:36:36] Speaker 5: Jaron Jackson? Remember I told you.
[1:36:38] Speaker 2: Jaron Jackson, 350 if he makes an all-defense team, how
[1:36:42] Speaker 2: much would you pay a writer not to vote for him?
[1:36:47] Speaker 2: You save $ 110 million. How much would you pay me
[1:36:51] Speaker 2: not to vote for him? 100 voters, sir. 100 voters.
[1:36:54] Speaker 2: How much would you pay me not to vote for
[1:36:55] Speaker 2: your guy? You're going to pay that bread.
[1:36:58] Speaker 4: But, Luka, I'm talking about a guy like Luka. You
[1:37:01] Speaker 4: would want to pay him as, like, a superstar player.
[1:37:04] Speaker 4: You would want him to reach every accolade possible.
[1:37:07] Speaker 5: Yeah, but if I have the opportunity, if the opportunity
[1:37:10] Speaker 5: presents itself where.
[1:37:11] Speaker 2: I got this, you know what I mean? You know
[1:37:15] Speaker 2: what I'm just saying?
[1:37:15] Speaker 1: No, he's 350.
[1:37:16] Speaker 2: We're giving him 350. You know what I'm saying? He's
[1:37:18] Speaker 2: 350 no matter what. Yeah, yeah, we good.
[1:37:20] Speaker 5: But one game left, and if he don't play 20 minutes...
[1:37:25] Speaker 5: I get to pay him $ 250?
[1:37:26] Speaker 2: Oh, shit. Oh, shit. He getting subbed the fuck out.
[1:37:31] Speaker 2: He getting subbed out for that $ 100 million.
[1:37:33] Speaker 6: I'm a business standpoint.
[1:37:34] Speaker 2: You know what's happening. How many more? We just need
[1:37:36] Speaker 2: one more game, right? Luka needs one game. When is
[1:37:39] Speaker 2: that game? That game ain't counting, though. What? The OKC
[1:37:41] Speaker 2: game ain't counting, right? No. He's at 64. He's at 64.
[1:37:45] Speaker 2: So he has one more game?
[1:37:47] Speaker 3: There's the other side of it. So Luka, game away
[1:37:50] Speaker 3: from being awards eligible. In light of his injuries, agent
[1:37:53] Speaker 3: Bill Duffy said Luka would apply for an extraordinary circumstances
[1:37:56] Speaker 3: challenge to the 65 game room because Luka missed two
[1:38:00] Speaker 3: games back in December when he traveled to Slovenia for
[1:38:02] Speaker 3: the birth of his daughter. That application can't be submitted
[1:38:05] Speaker 3: until the final day of the regular season.
[1:38:08] Speaker 2: You know what? I'm not even fucking around with that.
[1:38:09] Speaker 5: What I'm going to do is, hey, Luca, after you
[1:38:11] Speaker 5: get that shot, after you go get that shot, we're
[1:38:14] Speaker 5: going to come in and all I'm going to do
[1:38:16] Speaker 5: is this. All right, this is what you average. We're
[1:38:18] Speaker 5: going to add a zero to it. We're going to
[1:38:20] Speaker 5: add a zero to it. You still lead in scoring?
[1:38:23] Speaker 2: Yes? Cool.
[1:38:25] Speaker 5: 21 minutes. You just sit out there. Just jog up
[1:38:28] Speaker 5: and down. We're going to make a mockery of it.
[1:38:29] Speaker 5: Just jog up and down so you get your reward.
[1:38:34] Speaker 5: That's the only thing as a coach I can do.
[1:38:37] Speaker 5: That's the only thing I can do. I can't trust
[1:38:39] Speaker 5: the process of you subbing in and doing all this
[1:38:42] Speaker 5: because if they say no, there's nothing I can do.
[1:38:44] Speaker 5: But we got one game left. All you need to
[1:38:48] Speaker 5: play is 20-something minutes. Just go out there. Just sit around.
[1:38:52] Speaker 5: Make a mockery of it. Because you only got.
[1:38:55] Speaker 2: One game left.
[1:38:55] Speaker 5: I can't do nothing with it. That's all I can do.
[1:38:58] Speaker 5: Sit out there. Get it activated. You don't need to play.
[1:39:03] Speaker 5: If you score zero, you still lead the league in scoring?
[1:39:05] Speaker 2: Cool. You can have them cherry pick. Just shoot three.
[1:39:10] Speaker 2: What I'm saying is you don't have to. Just let
[1:39:12] Speaker 2: them be in the game.
[1:39:13] Speaker 1: What does that do for the game, though?
[1:39:15] Speaker 2: What do you mean?
[1:39:16] Speaker 10: We're going to watch him make a mockery of the
[1:39:18] Speaker 10: game just for an award.
[1:39:20] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:39:22] Speaker 10: Like, that's bad business all the way around. Like, if
[1:39:26] Speaker 10: you can't play, don't play, bro. Rest up for the playoffs.
[1:39:30] Speaker 10: It matters most. The playoffs matter more than your regular
[1:39:33] Speaker 10: season awards, especially when you haven't won a championship and
[1:39:35] Speaker 10: you've gotten close. And you've got a team that you've
[1:39:39] Speaker 10: worked to get from eighth or sixth or seventh to third. Like,
[1:39:43] Speaker 10: you at a place right now where if you were healthy, like,
[1:39:46] Speaker 10: you are considered one of the teams that can make
[1:39:49] Speaker 10: it back to the finals. So why would you risk
[1:39:52] Speaker 10: that and make my career the game when you can
[1:39:56] Speaker 10: go win a title and change the fact that you
[1:39:58] Speaker 10: didn't get no regular season awards but you won an
[1:40:00] Speaker 10: NBA championship?
[1:40:03] Speaker 5: Because I think the way the contracts are, right, that
[1:40:09] Speaker 5: winning an NBA championship.
[1:40:12] Speaker 2: Does not unlock Supermax.
[1:40:15] Speaker 5: But this scoring title and this first team all NBA does, right?
[1:40:21] Speaker 5: And that Supermax is a hundred plus million. So if
[1:40:24] Speaker 5: you're talking about right now I got one game to
[1:40:28] Speaker 5: unlock this, there's nobody on this earth that's not gonna
[1:40:34] Speaker 5: try that. There's a hundred million, not 10, there's a
[1:40:38] Speaker 5: hundred million dollars. You don't got to go out there
[1:40:41] Speaker 5: and play hard.
[1:40:42] Speaker 2: Just go out there. Just get in the game. I'm
[1:40:43] Speaker 2: not playing either, though. Utah's going to be taking some.
[1:40:46] Speaker 5: You can be Dirt in the Whiskey. You can be.
[1:40:48] Speaker 2: Dirt in the Whiskey last season.
[1:40:50] Speaker 4: Utah's going to have a bunch of you.
[1:40:54] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that was good. You can be out there
[1:40:57] Speaker 2: against Utah just sitting there just up and down. I'm sure.
[1:41:00] Speaker 4: He could have been his knees.
[1:41:06] Speaker 2: Don't do that full season. I mean, go and do
[1:41:09] Speaker 2: that for a game, man. You deserve it. You deserve it.
[1:41:12] Speaker 6: I need my $ 100 million, though.
[1:41:14] Speaker 2: $ 100 extra, dog.
[1:41:14] Speaker 6: Like, $ 100 extra. Come on, man.
[1:41:17] Speaker 3: You don't agree with that. But you got Austin Reeves
[1:41:19] Speaker 3: down at least three to five weeks.
[1:41:21] Speaker 6: I'm taking that.
[1:41:21] Speaker 2: You're not going to be right for the playoffs. You
[1:41:24] Speaker 2: said three to five? It's a grade two oblique strength, Gil.
[1:41:27] Speaker 2: We've seen that. Good, though. You better hit that. You
[1:41:30] Speaker 2: better hit that toward all. Boom. Nah, we good.
[1:41:33] Speaker 5: LeBron out tonight against the Thunder, so they're scheduling a loss.
[1:41:37] Speaker 2: We knew that. We knew that. Top tier defense. Just
[1:41:39] Speaker 2: me out here? What the fuck is wrong with y'all?
[1:41:40] Speaker 2: At 41? What the fuck is wrong with y'all? I'm
[1:41:42] Speaker 2: not playing tonight. All game. You see what he was doing.
[1:41:44] Speaker 2: You saw what he was doing to my son. He's 19.
[1:41:56] Speaker 2: You see what happened to the last game? Yeah, you
[1:41:58] Speaker 2: see what happened to the last game?
[1:42:01] Speaker 5: Shot three ball up the floor against the niggas. It
[1:42:03] Speaker 5: didn't work out. Like, them niggas play hell of a defense. No,
[1:42:06] Speaker 5: we're not finna sick Caruso and Dort and Wiggins and Joe.
[1:42:10] Speaker 2: No, we're not finna do that. I see what y'all,
[1:42:14] Speaker 2: what happened in Toronto. I struggled against them young boys
[1:42:19] Speaker 2: trying to score 10 points. I'm good. He ain't getting 10.
[1:42:24] Speaker 2: But I still... No.
[1:42:25] Speaker 3: We will monitor the situation. Pray for the best. Look
[1:42:28] Speaker 3: at Spain right now, Luca.
[1:42:30] Speaker 1: Spain, that's crazy.
[1:42:35] Speaker 2: I try not to use certain AIs for shit. I
[1:42:37] Speaker 2: looked up what Nicola's doing, dog. You said what? I
[1:42:40] Speaker 2: tried not to look it up. I didn't hear what
[1:42:41] Speaker 2: you said. I tried not to look it up. Oh,
[1:42:43] Speaker 2: you said what he's doing?
[1:42:44] Speaker 1: What you mean on AI?
[1:42:45] Speaker 2: I just don't try to look it. Any of it.
[1:42:47] Speaker 2: Are you in chat, GPT? I looked up some of it.
[1:42:49] Speaker 1: Are you on ChatGPT, boss?
[1:42:50] Speaker 2: Yes.
[1:42:50] Speaker 1: Why are you on?
[1:42:51] Speaker 2: Because I want to look something up. You on ChatGPT?
[1:42:53] Speaker 2: Because I can do the math. Because I can do
[1:42:55] Speaker 2: the math. You said you would never use ChatGPT. I
[1:42:57] Speaker 2: looked up the percentage of triple doubles and double doubles.
[1:42:59] Speaker 7: You said you would never use ChatGPT. Over his career, 22%
[1:43:02] Speaker 7: of the games, 22 to 24% of the games.
[1:43:03] Speaker 10: He's played in, he's had a triple double throughout his career.
[1:43:07] Speaker 7: 22% to 24% of the games he's played in, he's
[1:43:17] Speaker 7: had a triple-double. This season, 52% of the games, he's
[1:43:21] Speaker 7: had a triple-double.
[1:43:24] Speaker 5: So that percentage is actually a lot higher because his
[1:43:27] Speaker 5: first couple years, his first year coming in, damn.
[1:43:30] Speaker 7: Yeah, that's all. Yeah, that's all. I just want to
[1:43:33] Speaker 7: know the percentage of it. I'm not using it for argument.
[1:43:37] Speaker 7: I'm just bringing up the fact that I've been vouching
[1:43:39] Speaker 7: for this man and this number is supported.
[1:43:42] Speaker 2: Now I see why generations complain.
[1:43:47] Speaker 5: Year after year, decade after decade, you have generations complaining.
[1:43:52] Speaker 5: You got players complaining and say you wasn't there. We're
[1:44:01] Speaker 5: here We were here with Kobe. So you can see
[1:44:05] Speaker 5: how we have the lobby for him. We see what
[1:44:08] Speaker 5: Jokic is and what he's doing.
[1:44:13] Speaker 2: And 10 years from now, all they're going to see
[1:44:17] Speaker 2: is the stats. They're not going to see he should
[1:44:22] Speaker 2: have won five MVP, six MVP, stuff like that, right?
[1:44:26] Speaker 2: You're not going to know how great someone really was.
[1:44:31] Speaker 5: Once the legacy is moved. And all you have is arguments,
[1:44:35] Speaker 5: and the arguments are just looking at.
[1:44:36] Speaker 2: The stat sheet. In a sense. He's going to have
[1:44:39] Speaker 2: the second most.
[1:44:40] Speaker 7: Just imagine if he does win a couple more, one more, whatever.
[1:44:44] Speaker 7: Just how many second place finishes he has.
[1:44:46] Speaker 2: Just... Like every year. Like when somebody says the best
[1:44:50] Speaker 2: small forward, right?
[1:44:51] Speaker 5: And they have Larry Bird third. And then when you
[1:44:54] Speaker 5: look at Larry Bird, you got the three back-to-back MVPs.
[1:44:58] Speaker 5: Then you got another six MVP.
[1:45:02] Speaker 2: second or third place. And you're sitting there like, God damn. Like,
[1:45:08] Speaker 2: unless you really go down and watch how great people are,
[1:45:12] Speaker 2: if you're just looking at the stats, listening to people argue,
[1:45:16] Speaker 2: you're only, you know, you're only, you know, arguing for
[1:45:18] Speaker 2: what you can see right now, not for what the
[1:45:20] Speaker 2: past was. 50-something percent of the game.
[1:45:23] Speaker 7: Yeah, I just wanted to know the number, what the
[1:45:26] Speaker 7: percentage was, because I was like, This MVP thing is like.
[1:45:30] Speaker 2: His triple-double is better than Steph's three. Now that's sick
[1:45:32] Speaker 2: when you think about it like that. Damn. Think of
[1:45:36] Speaker 2: it like that. Best shooter in the world. Steph's three.
[1:45:39] Speaker 2: We know that damn near. We don't know what percentage
[1:45:41] Speaker 2: he shoots, but it looks like it's 90% in a sense.
[1:45:44] Speaker 5: He has a better chance hitting a triple-double than Steph
[1:45:46] Speaker 5: has hitting a three.
[1:45:48] Speaker 2: Crazy, though. So, 197 triple doubles, 800 takes the lead. Damn!
[1:45:56] Speaker 2: I just can't let people distance. That's crazy, but he should, though.
[1:46:01] Speaker 2: Should what? He should. He should what, Nick?
[1:46:03] Speaker 1: He's the best center in the league.
[1:46:05] Speaker 2: Ain't no other center in the league. No, we're not passing.
[1:46:09] Speaker 2: He should. Nobody could guard him. Passing? Nobody could guard him.
[1:46:16] Speaker 10: I wonder what Russell Westbrook's percentage was.
[1:46:19] Speaker 2: Yeah, that would have been a good one. Those years?
[1:46:22] Speaker 2: I could have compared it, but I don't.
[1:46:24] Speaker 1: I don't know.
[1:46:24] Speaker 2: They asked me to compare it to him and Oscar Roberts.
[1:46:27] Speaker 10: I don't think I have to use AI to know
[1:46:29] Speaker 10: that Russell Westbrook is probably a lot higher.
[1:46:33] Speaker 2: It's not. I'd say it's lower. It's not. It would
[1:46:35] Speaker 2: be lower. Hold on. I can give you one. Hold on.
[1:46:38] Speaker 2: What was it? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Is it close?
[1:46:41] Speaker 1: Is it close?
[1:46:41] Speaker 7: Through 63 games this year, right, this is– scored a
[1:46:45] Speaker 7: triple-double in 50% of the game. That's over double his
[1:46:49] Speaker 7: historic pace. Russ ain't even in the conversation, bro. Like,
[1:46:52] Speaker 7: he ain't even in the conversation.
[1:46:53] Speaker 3: So, Yelkish, a triple-double in 24% of his career games. Westbrook,
[1:46:57] Speaker 3: triple-double in 16%. That's basically every other night. That's what
[1:47:00] Speaker 3: they're saying.
[1:47:01] Speaker 1: Every other night, he's getting a triple-double.
[1:47:03] Speaker 5: Well, for Russ's argument these last four years, we'll mess
[1:47:06] Speaker 5: up that.
[1:47:07] Speaker 2: Even then, I'm talking about take the last four years off.
[1:47:09] Speaker 2: Fuck it. I don't even count them. We ain't even
[1:47:14] Speaker 2: got to count them.
[1:47:14] Speaker 1: Do his four years.
[1:47:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Do his four years. During those four years,
[1:47:19] Speaker 2: what was his percentage? Yeah, it's down, but it had
[1:47:21] Speaker 2: to be crazy. I mean, it's just greatness, man. Like
[1:47:25] Speaker 2: Russell Westbrook. His greatness would be unseen to the rest
[1:47:28] Speaker 2: of the world moving forward. It's a good campaign, man.
[1:47:31] Speaker 5: But you're talking about 30-something, 11-11, and you're not truly
[1:47:34] Speaker 5: a natural score? You're averaging 30, 11 and 11?
[1:47:38] Speaker 2: That's just fucking impressive, man. I'm sorry.
[1:47:41] Speaker 7: For comparison, most stars are well below 20%. And that's
[1:47:47] Speaker 7: even triple-double legends like Russell Westbrook and Oscar Robinson all over.
[1:47:52] Speaker 10: I'm just grateful the stats are not being used as
[1:47:54] Speaker 10: the metric to do all of those things.
[1:47:57] Speaker 1: You know, we actually watch the games and stuff like that.
[1:47:59] Speaker 2: But it technically is.
[1:48:01] Speaker 1: Because Wendy's number one.
[1:48:03] Speaker 5: No, I mean, technically it is because Westford Westbrook doesn't
[1:48:06] Speaker 5: get the flowers that his stats says.
[1:48:07] Speaker 10: No, I'm saying if stats led and was the metric
[1:48:09] Speaker 10: for everything, Jokic would be number one right now.
[1:48:12] Speaker 1: And he's not.
[1:48:14] Speaker 2: This is my guy's number one. Who's number one? Highest
[1:48:18] Speaker 2: triple-double ever. Wait, who's number one? one in MVP vote?
[1:48:22] Speaker 7: It puts him in the same type of category impact
[1:48:25] Speaker 7: here as Russell Westbrook.
[1:48:26] Speaker 2: Joining MVP years. Who's number one in MVP vote here?
[1:48:30] Speaker 1: I know.
[1:48:32] Speaker 2: I just wanted you to say that out loud.
[1:48:34] Speaker 5: I'm going to keep throwing my guy in there.
[1:48:37] Speaker 2: Oh, no, if he gets it, I'm not even.
[1:48:39] Speaker 5: I'm going to keep throwing my guy in there. We
[1:48:42] Speaker 5: can't even fight it. If they say he get it, I'm.
[1:48:47] Speaker 2: Going to be like.
[1:48:48] Speaker 5: But the fact that let's go, we can put it
[1:48:52] Speaker 5: on paper right now. Next year MVP race, Wimby going
[1:48:57] Speaker 5: to lead that motherfucker all the way through.
[1:49:00] Speaker 2: Him and Jokic, 57% of the games. 52.4. That means, dog,
[1:49:10] Speaker 2: every night is. Bro, every other night. That means you
[1:49:12] Speaker 2: know what time it is, dog. No, no, no.
[1:49:15] Speaker 1: That means.
[1:49:15] Speaker 2: I'm everywhere. No, no, think about this.
[1:49:17] Speaker 5: That means almost a triple-double, triple-double. Almost a triple-double, triple-double.
[1:49:21] Speaker 5: Almost a triple-double, triple-double. That's what that is. The games
[1:49:24] Speaker 5: he did, and that was almost. He missed about one.
[1:49:26] Speaker 5: Like against Wimby, he missed two rebounds.
[1:49:28] Speaker 2: Is it impressive?
[1:49:31] Speaker 1: Yes, very.
[1:49:32] Speaker 2: You're a fucking hater. I've never seen a big man.
[1:49:35] Speaker 2: I've never seen a big man.
[1:49:36] Speaker 5: I've never seen it before.
[1:49:39] Speaker 2: I've never seen it before. Not from a five. Not
[1:49:42] Speaker 2: from a five. I've never seen it from a five.
[1:49:45] Speaker 2: I've never seen it from a five. I've never seen
[1:49:47] Speaker 2: it from a five.
[1:49:48] Speaker 5: It wasn't impressive to everybody. It wasn't impressive to everybody.
[1:49:52] Speaker 5: It wasn't impressive.
[1:49:53] Speaker 2: It was impressive. And he's a point guard, so he's
[1:49:57] Speaker 2: supposed to be.
[1:49:58] Speaker 1: Doing that stuff.
[1:49:58] Speaker 5: No, what he did with rebounding, well, listen, what he
[1:50:00] Speaker 5: did with rebounding was impressive. What Nikola doing is passing
[1:50:04] Speaker 5: the ball is fucking impressive. Yeah. We've seen it before.
[1:50:07] Speaker 5: We've seen it before. We didn't even buy it. Russell Westbrook.
[1:50:13] Speaker 5: We've seen it. We've seen a player do it. We've
[1:50:18] Speaker 5: seen a basketball.
[1:50:19] Speaker 2: Player do this four years in a row. Four years
[1:50:23] Speaker 2: in a row. Four years in a row.
[1:50:25] Speaker 1: Watch out.
[1:50:26] Speaker 2: Watch out. Watch out. Watch out, man.
[1:50:31] Speaker 1: He campaigned for you.
[1:50:32] Speaker 2: We don't give a fuck about that. Stay at number four, nigga.
[1:50:35] Speaker 2: Stay at number four. We at number one. Watch out.
[1:50:38] Speaker 2: But that's the problem. 52.4. Watch out. 52.4. No, you can't.
[1:50:40] Speaker 2: You can't watch out. Sound good. Because if you tell...
[1:50:43] Speaker 2: You're a fucking hater. Watch out. No, but... I agree
[1:50:46] Speaker 2: with him. No, but because if you do that... You're
[1:50:48] Speaker 2: a hater too then, nigga. Come on What y'all doing
[1:51:19] Speaker 2: is scary. No, what you two are doing is the reason.
[1:51:22] Speaker 2: I used to be on Fox.
[1:51:23] Speaker 5: I'll argue with Colin Coward, nigga, daily about Russ. I
[1:51:26] Speaker 5: don't fit that. Nobody said it wasn't impressive.
[1:51:30] Speaker 2: We've seen it before. And that's the problem. I'm a
[1:51:34] Speaker 2: big man. You don't need to see it from a
[1:51:37] Speaker 2: big man. That's something different. We've seen it before. We
[1:51:41] Speaker 2: keep doing it. Oh, it's so impressive. It's not. It's not.
[1:51:44] Speaker 2: We've seen a 6'3. 6'3. Make it look easy.
[1:51:47] Speaker 5: 6'3.
[1:51:47] Speaker 2: Make it look even easier.
[1:51:50] Speaker 5: We don't even care about the game of basketball averaging
[1:51:56] Speaker 5: a triple-double.
[1:51:56] Speaker 2: Get the fuck out of here. Man, this guy go
[1:51:59] Speaker 2: home and play with.
[1:51:59] Speaker 5: His fucking horses. What's the difference? 30-point triple doubles as
[1:52:04] Speaker 5: a 6'3 guard?
[1:52:05] Speaker 2: Excuse me? 20-20 and 20. 20-20 and 20. Rest in peace, Nick.
[1:52:07] Speaker 2: Rest in peace. 20-20 and 20. They looked over here like, oh, man,
[1:52:09] Speaker 2: watch out. It ain't impressive.
[1:52:20] Speaker 5: That's exactly why Russell Westbrook's stat goes unnoticed, because you're
[1:52:25] Speaker 5: too busy wiping everybody else's shit out. They're both impressive.
[1:52:29] Speaker 5: Every triple-double, hold on, hold on, hold on. Every triple-double
[1:52:35] Speaker 5: is impressive. That's why it took so long for Russell,
[1:52:38] Speaker 5: for anybody to do it. That was impressive. So, yes,
[1:52:42] Speaker 5: it was impressive.
[1:52:43] Speaker 2: It was impressive.
[1:52:44] Speaker 5: Every year he did it because the idea of.
[1:52:47] Speaker 2: Hold on.
[1:52:48] Speaker 5: As the idea of LeBron doing it, everyone's like, oh,
[1:52:50] Speaker 5: LeBron could do it.
[1:52:52] Speaker 2: He didn't do it. Russell did it. That's how great
[1:52:55] Speaker 2: it was. But... If you guys are going to.
[1:52:58] Speaker 5: Say, oh, we did it before, then you take away everyone.
[1:53:03] Speaker 2: No, you got to do the same thing. Give him
[1:53:05] Speaker 2: the same thing. Again, you're going to do the same thing.
[1:53:06] Speaker 2: Give him the same thing.
[1:53:07] Speaker 5: Exactly.
[1:53:08] Speaker 2: Do the same thing. Was he in the MVP race? Yes.
[1:53:09] Speaker 2: In the four years, after the one. Was he in
[1:53:12] Speaker 2: the MVP race? Yes. Every year. He was number two
[1:53:13] Speaker 2: after every year. Every year. Was he number two? No,
[1:53:16] Speaker 2: he was not. Come on. Thank you. No, he was not.
[1:53:18] Speaker 2: Thank you. That's what I'm saying. No, he was not.
[1:53:20] Speaker 1: Thank you.
[1:53:20] Speaker 2: No, he was not. That's on them. That's on the
[1:53:22] Speaker 2: people that's voting. You got a campaign for him? You
[1:53:25] Speaker 2: got a campaign for him? Nah, we've seen this before.
[1:53:27] Speaker 2: He was 4-4-1-0.
[1:53:38] Speaker 3: That's five. That's being 10. So the first one that
[1:53:41] Speaker 3: we played in Washington, right? Yeah, the first year you
[1:53:43] Speaker 3: average a triple-double. He played in fucking Washington. He wasn't
[1:53:45] Speaker 3: going to go.
[1:53:45] Speaker 2: Got the MVP. Huh? Next season.
[1:53:47] Speaker 5: Where does it matter? He's doing triple-doubles. I thought it
[1:53:49] Speaker 5: was impressive. It's supposed to be impressive. The people that's voting.
[1:53:53] Speaker 2: Don't matter where he's going.
[1:53:54] Speaker 5: The people that's voting. We ain't talking about the people
[1:53:56] Speaker 5: that's voting. We're talking about us right here. We're talking
[1:53:59] Speaker 5: about us right here. You ain't finished that game. You
[1:54:01] Speaker 5: aren't going to get no votes.
[1:54:02] Speaker 2: We're saying we've seen it before. Who cares if we've
[1:54:05] Speaker 2: seen it before?
[1:54:06] Speaker 1: We've seen people average 30 before.
[1:54:08] Speaker 2: We're still impressed? I'm still impressed. Not a 30-point triple-double.
[1:54:12] Speaker 5: I'm still impressed. I'm not going to say your 30
[1:54:17] Speaker 5: is better than his 30. We're saying we've seen it before.
[1:54:21] Speaker 2: We've seen it. It's not impressive. It's impressive. All of
[1:54:26] Speaker 2: it is.
[1:54:26] Speaker 5: What Wimmy is doing is impressive. What Luka's doing is impressive.
[1:54:31] Speaker 5: This shit is impressive. When you start dice rooting people's
[1:54:35] Speaker 5: stats and say, oh, that's irrelevant, that sucks, that means
[1:54:38] Speaker 5: the rest of the game is fucked.
[1:54:41] Speaker 2: Man.
[1:54:41] Speaker 5: Because I can tell you right now, if what Jokic
[1:54:48] Speaker 5: is doing, if that's, we've seen it before, whoever attempts
[1:54:51] Speaker 5: to have another triple-double, what do you think they're going
[1:54:54] Speaker 5: to do to this next person?
[1:54:54] Speaker 2: Ah, get the fuck out of here. We've seen it before.
[1:54:57] Speaker 2: We've seen it before. Do something more. Do something more impressive.
[1:55:04] Speaker 5: More than the best season ever? More than the best
[1:55:07] Speaker 5: basketball season ever?
[1:55:09] Speaker 2: Hey, Kobe.
[1:55:09] Speaker 5: More.
[1:55:10] Speaker 2: More. What's better than the best ever?
[1:55:16] Speaker 5: The most efficient triple-double. What's better than the best ever?
[1:55:20] Speaker 1: He's the best ever? Yeah, he's having the best.
[1:55:23] Speaker 2: Ever NBA season that could possibly be. What's better than
[1:55:26] Speaker 2: the best ever? I think he's the greatest. What? He's
[1:55:28] Speaker 2: the greatest. By this it is.
[1:55:30] Speaker 5: By the numbers it are. By the numbers, he is.
[1:55:33] Speaker 5: By the numbers, he's the best basketball player ever. What
[1:55:36] Speaker 5: number is he in? Fourth place?
[1:55:38] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:55:38] Speaker 5: And he's not in the top three. Third place right now.
[1:55:41] Speaker 5: He's third place.
[1:55:42] Speaker 2: What they did to Kobe? What they did to LeBron James? Like,
[1:55:46] Speaker 2: you can't just, like, you have to defend something or
[1:55:51] Speaker 2: they're just going to keep pushing every step behind. And
[1:55:55] Speaker 2: I am. God damn it. We ain't going to do
[1:55:56] Speaker 2: it on you. Like when you sit here talking about LeBron,
[1:55:58] Speaker 2: it's easy. I ain't never seen nobody. They're going to
[1:56:00] Speaker 2: do the same thing.
[1:56:01] Speaker 1: Oh, we done seen this before.
[1:56:02] Speaker 5: You done did that. Michael Jordan did this. Michael Jordan
[1:56:04] Speaker 5: had six. That's what they're allowed to do.
[1:56:06] Speaker 2: Yeah. Joker's better than Michael Jordan. Says who? Having the
[1:56:13] Speaker 2: best basketball season doesn't mean you're a better basketball player.
[1:56:16] Speaker 2: Bam having 83 don't make him better than Kobe Bryant, dog.
[1:56:20] Speaker 2: He had a great game. It's amazing. It was a
[1:56:23] Speaker 2: great night. Say it again.
[1:56:26] Speaker 5: Say it again. What you just said, just because he
[1:56:29] Speaker 5: didn't score what, he's not better than.
[1:56:30] Speaker 2: Kobe, right?
[1:56:31] Speaker 5: I said having a great night doesn't make that night
[1:56:34] Speaker 5: better than someone's career. So you having 83 and beating
[1:56:38] Speaker 5: 82 doesn't make you better than this person.
[1:56:40] Speaker 2: Right, it doesn't make you better. So Joker doing what
[1:56:44] Speaker 2: he's doing now.
[1:56:45] Speaker 5: What he's doing this season doesn't... What does the season
[1:56:49] Speaker 5: have to do with a game? We've seen it before,
[1:56:51] Speaker 5: so it doesn't mean like it's... better.
[1:56:53] Speaker 2: It's not the best. We've seen it. It's the most
[1:56:57] Speaker 2: efficient triple-double NBA. It's the most efficient triple-double NBA. So
[1:57:01] Speaker 2: fucking what? So we haven't seen that. So we haven't
[1:57:03] Speaker 2: seen that. Last year was the best season we've seen.
[1:57:06] Speaker 2: He topped that. What's this nigga talking about? He did.
[1:57:11] Speaker 2: The best thing we've seen? He topped it. Wait. He
[1:57:14] Speaker 2: was top four. Huh?
[1:57:16] Speaker 5: Listen, he was top two in four major categories last year, Nick.
[1:57:19] Speaker 2: Stats.
[1:57:20] Speaker 5: Scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals last year. And he topped
[1:57:23] Speaker 5: that shit this year.
[1:57:24] Speaker 2: And he didn't win. We're number one, right? No. No,
[1:57:26] Speaker 2: the best season ever, right? No, he didn't. How many
[1:57:29] Speaker 2: else I got? He didn't. He didn't.
[1:57:31] Speaker 5: I'm going to lobby for my guy like I'm going
[1:57:35] Speaker 5: to lobby for your guy.
[1:57:37] Speaker 2: You said more, right?
[1:57:39] Speaker 5: What did Wimby do? He was number two last year
[1:57:42] Speaker 5: and four.
[1:57:42] Speaker 2: What is he? He's number one? Yeah, defensive player.
[1:57:45] Speaker 5: Those same years, he's number one in four categories. Okay,
[1:57:48] Speaker 5: so Wimby last year is.
[1:57:50] Speaker 2: 5 in scoring.
[1:57:53] Speaker 5: Down in blocks, down in steals, down in assists,. 5
[1:57:59] Speaker 5: in rebounds. Now say the same thing you were just saying.
[1:58:03] Speaker 2: He's number one.
[1:58:04] Speaker 5: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>.
[1:58:11] Speaker 2: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>.
[1:58:13] Speaker 5: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>.
[1:58:17] Speaker 2: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>.
[1:58:19] Speaker 3: <HAL> That might not be a conversation we want to have, Swaggy.
[1:58:36] Speaker 2: Where would you put him? Is he top five? Top five?
[1:58:42] Speaker 2: Just going off of... We didn't watch the rest of
[1:58:44] Speaker 2: these centers.
[1:58:46] Speaker 5: Are we talking about production.
[1:58:48] Speaker 2: In the NBA? Or being on a podcast? No, no, no.
[1:58:54] Speaker 2: There's two different things.
[1:58:56] Speaker 5: Me having a better NBA career than you and you
[1:58:59] Speaker 5: being a better player.
[1:59:00] Speaker 2: That's two different conversations. That is two different conversations.
[1:59:05] Speaker 1: Let's move this motherfucker from over here. No, no, no.
[1:59:07] Speaker 5: Let's move it over there.
[1:59:09] Speaker 2: Let's move it over there. I'll make it simple for you. Yes.
[1:59:14] Speaker 2: I think he's the top five. He's top five center
[1:59:16] Speaker 2: all the time. Absolutely. I'll make it real simple for you.
[1:59:18] Speaker 2: I think so. I'll make it real motherfucking simple. Kareem
[1:59:21] Speaker 2: got what, five, six MVPs?
[1:59:23] Speaker 7: Because I didn't see motherfucking Wilt play.
[1:59:26] Speaker 1: Six.
[1:59:26] Speaker 2: Six MVPs. So you got him in front of Wilt.
[1:59:28] Speaker 2: I didn't see will points. He can be fifth. He
[1:59:31] Speaker 2: can be fifth. He's top five.
[1:59:33] Speaker 1: He's better than Kareem, Shaq, and all them.
[1:59:36] Speaker 2: Nicole is five. Top five. Top five.
[1:59:38] Speaker 5: See, you're saying better, and that's what I said.
[1:59:43] Speaker 2: So give me your five.
[1:59:44] Speaker 5: Nigga, y'all said he'd get the best win ever.
[1:59:48] Speaker 2: God damn, don't ask me. Five. Fuck! He's five. So
[1:59:53] Speaker 2: he ain't done yet. Everybody else is done. He ain't
[1:59:56] Speaker 2: done yet. Hold on. Brandon. Everybody else is done playing.
[2:00:00] Speaker 2: He's at five and he's not fifth.
[2:00:02] Speaker 1: So he's going to be number one.
[2:00:04] Speaker 6: We don't know.
[2:00:05] Speaker 2: So, hey, he's at five. You know what he's trying
[2:00:07] Speaker 2: to do?
[2:00:07] Speaker 5: Like, we know the difference between Shaq and Yolk.
[2:00:11] Speaker 2: No, no, you know. No, you know. But we know
[2:00:13] Speaker 2: if we had the number one pick. He's in front
[2:00:15] Speaker 2: of Shaq. If everybody had the number one pick. He's
[2:00:17] Speaker 2: in front of Shaq. Who?
[2:00:18] Speaker 1: Who?
[2:00:18] Speaker 2: We're not including Kareem. Kareem is not included. Yes, he is.
[2:00:24] Speaker 2: Bill Russell's not included.
[2:00:26] Speaker 1: And Will Chamberlain is not included. You know why?
[2:00:28] Speaker 2: Because he's never seen them play.
[2:00:30] Speaker 5: He's never seen those three guys play. When Nikola being
[2:00:34] Speaker 5: at five and me never seeing Will play.
[2:00:37] Speaker 2: We can go Kareem, Shaq. You seen Kareem play? No, Hakeem.
[2:00:41] Speaker 1: Listen to the words that I just said, nigga.
[2:00:44] Speaker 5: I ain't never seen them play. And I'll give you
[2:00:45] Speaker 5: a list of top five centers. Will, Kareem, Shaq, Hakeem,
[2:00:51] Speaker 5: and Nikola.
[2:00:52] Speaker 2: What... Huh? Exactly. Nigga. Didn't see him play.
[2:00:59] Speaker 5: But I can put him in the top five and
[2:01:00] Speaker 5: still have Nicola in it.
[2:01:02] Speaker 2: And that's why I said... And give me your list.
[2:01:05] Speaker 2: And that's why I said this. So, Nikola's better than
[2:01:08] Speaker 2: Joel Embiid? Yes. And having a better NBA career... Yes,
[2:01:12] Speaker 2: Nikola's better than Joel Embiid.
[2:01:14] Speaker 5: Having a better NBA career meaning you was healthy enough
[2:01:17] Speaker 5: to have a longevity career versus somebody who could have
[2:01:20] Speaker 5: been better and had a short career.
[2:01:22] Speaker 2: Right?
[2:01:23] Speaker 5: So, when Shaq makes the argument of better than Nikola,
[2:01:28] Speaker 5: his stats... Three MVPs is going to outweigh one. But
[2:01:33] Speaker 5: these championships is going to outweigh his one. Then from there,
[2:01:37] Speaker 5: it's just an argument. But if we had to pick.
[2:01:40] Speaker 2: One, we know what we're going with. We're going to
[2:01:44] Speaker 2: go Shaquille fucking O'Neal. You're having a conversation with Rashad.
[2:01:47] Speaker 2: That's why. So why?
[2:01:48] Speaker 1: Why does that?
[2:01:49] Speaker 2: It depends on who you're having a conversation with. Tell
[2:01:51] Speaker 2: me why.
[2:01:52] Speaker 5: We're having a conversation right now. Fuck whoever we're talking about.
[2:01:56] Speaker 5: Right now, we're having a conversation. Why is championships a
[2:02:00] Speaker 5: part of the conversation? Better career and a better player
[2:02:04] Speaker 5: is two different conversations, man.
[2:02:06] Speaker 6: Okay.
[2:02:06] Speaker 2: So why y'all mixing the conversation?
[2:02:08] Speaker 5: Because you just said championships and then MVPs.
[2:02:13] Speaker 2: And if he gets this, he gets that. We went
[2:02:14] Speaker 2: by players. Yes. We said players. I just listened to
[2:02:17] Speaker 2: everything y'all was saying. We said players. I didn't mention
[2:02:19] Speaker 2: not one championship or anything. No MVPs. I didn't mention
[2:02:23] Speaker 2: none of them either. You just mentioned stats. I said players.
[2:02:25] Speaker 2: He going off of players. I didn't say nothing about
[2:02:28] Speaker 2: no fucking numbers. numbers.
[2:02:29] Speaker 5: So what are we talking about?
[2:02:31] Speaker 2: Players. So what are we talking about? Top five centers.
[2:02:34] Speaker 2: He said, what's your top five centers? I gave him
[2:02:36] Speaker 2: top five centers. No championship, blocks, steals. Okay. Why is
[2:02:41] Speaker 2: Joker in the top five?
[2:02:43] Speaker 1: Because I put him there. He asked me my list.
[2:02:44] Speaker 2: Right. That's his list, right? I'm asking why is he there?
[2:02:50] Speaker 5: Because he asked what Kenyon Martin's list is. And my
[2:02:53] Speaker 5: top five center list is that. So you give your
[2:02:56] Speaker 5: Sean McCann's list and that's going to be your fucking list.
[2:02:58] Speaker 2: But I'm going to tell you why I got my guy.
[2:03:01] Speaker 5: I'm going to tell you why I have Zach here
[2:03:03] Speaker 5: and not have Don't call it here.
[2:03:06] Speaker 2: I want to know why. Just give us our answer.
[2:03:09] Speaker 2: We don't have the answer.
[2:03:10] Speaker 5: We don't have the answer.
[2:03:13] Speaker 2: We don't have the answer. We don't have the answer.
[2:03:17] Speaker 2: There is an answer. Give us your answer. There is
[2:03:19] Speaker 2: an answer. But you don't have the answer. He don't
[2:03:21] Speaker 2: have the answer. Go ahead. I do have the answer.
[2:03:23] Speaker 2: Give us your list.
[2:03:24] Speaker 1: Zach is a better player.
[2:03:25] Speaker 2: I have an implant. He's a better player. Give us
[2:03:28] Speaker 2: your list. All the way around. Give us your list. Okay.
[2:03:31] Speaker 2: All the way. Give us your list. All the way around.
[2:03:32] Speaker 2: Of course you don't. All the way around. No, no, no, no.
[2:03:37] Speaker 2: This nigga just said Shaq is an all-around better player
[2:03:39] Speaker 2: than who? Nikola. Okay. He plays defense. Let me get
[2:03:43] Speaker 2: the fuck out of here. He plays defense. All around.
[2:03:44] Speaker 2: He plays both sides of the ball.
[2:03:46] Speaker 5: The man shot 40% from the free throw.
[2:03:47] Speaker 2: He plays both sides of the ball. What? Yes. He
[2:03:50] Speaker 2: plays both sides of the ball. We all have free
[2:03:52] Speaker 2: throws a part of it. Defense is half of the game.
[2:03:54] Speaker 2: You know what? Hold on, Harry. One at a time, please.
[2:03:58] Speaker 2: One side of the game. Well, listen, listen. You know what?
[2:04:00] Speaker 2: One side. One side. You know why his argument don't
[2:04:03] Speaker 2: make sense? Please tell me. None of my arguments ever
[2:04:05] Speaker 2: make sense. You had Nicola what? Fifth. You had Shaq
[2:04:08] Speaker 2: in front of him, right? Yes. Who is he arguing with?
[2:04:11] Speaker 2: I don't know. Himself. Okay.
[2:04:14] Speaker 5: So just so we know, he has Shaq in front
[2:04:16] Speaker 5: of him. We all said we will pick Shaq. We
[2:04:19] Speaker 5: all did that. He's arguing with himself. I asked him
[2:04:23] Speaker 5: for his team. I know he don't have five because
[2:04:26] Speaker 5: all he wants to do is he just wants to argue.
[2:04:31] Speaker 5: argue against our point.
[2:04:32] Speaker 2: I asked why. He don't have a five. So we
[2:04:34] Speaker 2: don't know his five. He just wants to argue your list.
[2:04:36] Speaker 5: He wants to argue everyone's list because he don't have
[2:04:39] Speaker 5: a list.
[2:04:39] Speaker 2: Because you don't want to.
[2:04:40] Speaker 5: Argue my list. I'm asking the question you don't want
[2:04:43] Speaker 5: to answer.
[2:04:43] Speaker 2: I asked a.
[2:04:44] Speaker 10: Question you didn't want to answer. And then you went
[2:04:47] Speaker 10: and then you tried to reflect it. What about your five?
[2:04:51] Speaker 10: I'm asking you the question. If you don't want to
[2:04:53] Speaker 10: answer this, I don't want to ask you.
[2:04:55] Speaker 2: But we have Shaq in front of you. So what
[2:04:58] Speaker 2: we arguing? What are you asking us a question for?
[2:05:00] Speaker 2: I had to call that fit.
[2:05:03] Speaker 5: The bottom of the list that we was putting together
[2:05:05] Speaker 5: right I had a man the last slot right? Simple
[2:05:08] Speaker 5: answer it was this career is not over yet Kareem
[2:05:10] Speaker 5: Shaq Hakeem will will and he got.
[2:05:12] Speaker 2: You'll get five. Mm-hmm And you know why I got
[2:05:26] Speaker 2: him at five?
[2:05:26] Speaker 1: Because he's still playing.
[2:05:27] Speaker 2: Because he's still playing. So there you go. You answered.
[2:05:30] Speaker 2: No more questions. No, no, no, no. I got a
[2:05:32] Speaker 2: serious question. No, no, no. I got a serious question.
[2:05:34] Speaker 2: He's going to pass them. This is a serious question.
[2:05:37] Speaker 2: I need answers.
[2:05:37] Speaker 1: We don't know.
[2:05:39] Speaker 2: He can't pass them?
[2:05:40] Speaker 5: Who?
[2:05:40] Speaker 2: You think he could pass them?
[2:05:41] Speaker 1: Who? Joker.
[2:05:43] Speaker 2: Yes, sir. Them people you named.
[2:05:45] Speaker 1: Maybe.
[2:05:45] Speaker 2: We don't know. We don't know. We don't know. We
[2:05:47] Speaker 2: don't know. We don't know. We don't know. We don't know.
[2:05:48] Speaker 2: We don't know. We don't know. We don't know. We
[2:05:51] Speaker 2: don't know. We don't know. We don't know.
[2:06:10] Speaker 4: They came down to it and you had the chance
[2:06:12] Speaker 4: to draft Shaq or him.
[2:06:13] Speaker 2: Shaq. Shaq. Shaq. Shaq. Shaq. Shaq. Shaq. Shaq. Shaq.
[2:06:16] Speaker 1: Shaq.
[2:06:16] Speaker 2: Shaq.
[2:06:16] Speaker 5: Shaq. Shaq.
[2:06:17] Speaker 2: Shaq. There's five spots. That doesn't even make sense. We
[2:06:34] Speaker 2: can still pick Shaq and Nikola could be number two.
[2:06:36] Speaker 2: What the fuck are y'all talking about? It don't matter.
[2:06:37] Speaker 2: You're picking Shaq number one, though. So what's the argument?
[2:06:42] Speaker 5: It don't matter what Nikola do up until the point
[2:06:45] Speaker 5: that his career ends.
[2:06:46] Speaker 2: He's still going to be top five. He's still going
[2:06:48] Speaker 2: to be top five. He's still going to be top five.
[2:06:50] Speaker 5: The problem is, and this is why I wanted to
[2:06:52] Speaker 5: ask this question.
[2:06:53] Speaker 2: We have Nikola, The argument is not where you have
[2:07:00] Speaker 2: him now. He wants to argue if you decide to
[2:07:04] Speaker 2: change it, he can argue against it.
[2:07:07] Speaker 5: He said he's going to change it because his career
[2:07:09] Speaker 5: is not finished.
[2:07:10] Speaker 2: He could. You said you got him.
[2:07:12] Speaker 5: At fifth because he's not done playing.
[2:07:17] Speaker 1: Which means what?
[2:07:18] Speaker 5: When he finishes his career, he's going to go up
[2:07:22] Speaker 5: in the ladder.
[2:07:23] Speaker 1: Why?
[2:07:23] Speaker 2: Because his career is still going. Why?
[2:07:27] Speaker 5: If he don't have to win no more MVPs or
[2:07:29] Speaker 5: no more anything, he can stay where.
[2:07:30] Speaker 2: The fuck he at. What the fuck are you talking about?
[2:07:34] Speaker 2: If Shaquille O'Neal at the age of 33, right, if
[2:07:40] Speaker 2: he didn't have this big decline because of injury in
[2:07:44] Speaker 2: his weight, What do you think he would have kept doing? Yeah,
[2:07:48] Speaker 2: we don't do hypotheticals. No, what I'm saying is because we-
[2:07:50] Speaker 2: Say it again. Hold on. Say it again. Hold on,
[2:07:53] Speaker 2: let me finish. Why don't you just say this? This
[2:07:55] Speaker 2: is Gil's arena. Whoop, whoop. Why don't you just do
[2:07:57] Speaker 2: that already? Payday, payday comes. what he's saying is... We
[2:08:10] Speaker 2: don't know what the rest of the career is going
[2:08:11] Speaker 2: to be.
[2:08:12] Speaker 5: Right now he's five. We're going to see where his
[2:08:14] Speaker 5: career is. It could end up like Shaq where he
[2:08:16] Speaker 5: gets injured and the rest of his career is meaningless
[2:08:19] Speaker 5: and he stays five. He could have four more championships.
[2:08:23] Speaker 5: He could do that and be.
[2:08:24] Speaker 2: Four or three. Or he can do all that. Or
[2:08:26] Speaker 2: he can do all that. And guess what?
[2:08:29] Speaker 5: I can still keep him at five because you know why?
[2:08:31] Speaker 5: Because it was my motherfucking list. And on that note.
[2:08:34] Speaker 4: I'm glad to see that Bill Russell don't mean shit
[2:08:40] Speaker 4: to nobody.
[2:08:41] Speaker 2: No, he don't. He can't play no more games.
[2:08:44] Speaker 5: He can't play no more games.
[2:08:46] Speaker 2: None of the other guys can play. This goes to
[2:08:49] Speaker 2: you too, too. Especially to you. Bitch, don't let... No, hey,
[2:08:53] Speaker 2: hold on.
[2:08:53] Speaker 5: When I'm not here, when I'm not here, you two
[2:08:57] Speaker 5: don't argue. You should be here more. Don't say you're
[2:08:59] Speaker 5: not here.
[2:09:00] Speaker 2: Y'all don't not argue. When I'm not here.
[2:09:05] Speaker 5: Can you bring that person when I'm here?
[2:09:09] Speaker 2: Nope.
[2:09:09] Speaker 5: I want to have a nice, chill conversation. You can't
[2:09:12] Speaker 5: argue with me at all. You're arguing with Ken about motherfuckers.
[2:09:15] Speaker 5: Don't put me in this shit. Don't put me in
[2:09:18] Speaker 5: this shit. I was on your side earlier. I was
