[0:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you ever wonder if humanity will reach a point where we all become collectively enlightened?
[0:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, we'll all just stop doing obviously dumb stuff one day and live out each of our lives as happy and healthy individuals?
[0:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, today is not that day.
[0:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: For anyone new here, we're looking at people who have removed themselves from the gene pool and ways that are so idiotic they prove that Darwin was right.
[0:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: door listening
[0:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, before we dive into this first one, I just need to check real quick, uh, nope, I'm not going insane.
[0:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So here's a quick question, if you found some old unstable explosives on a piece of land near your home, what would you do?
[0:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A, call the authorities and alert them to the situation, B, pick them up, cut them around and attempt to bury them.
[0:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll give you a few seconds to contemplate, are we done?
[1:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Cool.
[1:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So the answer is obviously A right?
[1:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No one in the right mind would try to handle them little and bury them unless they knew what they were doing right?
[1:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right?
[1:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay good, I'm not going to say.
[1:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why did I ask?
[1:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, because back in 2004, a gentleman in Shaivan I Italy did just that.
[1:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He discovered some old sticks of dynamite in a band and shack on some land near his vineyard.
[1:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He'd had some experience of working with explosives before, so decided instead of calling the authorities, he could handle the situation himself.
[1:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Unfortunately for him, this dynamite had been sitting around for a long time and was sweating nitroglycerin, a highly unstable liquid component of this type of explosive.
[1:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: unaware of how volatile these explosives now were, or man said about attempting to bury them.
[1:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He dug a 30-foot hole, carefully placed the dynamite in it, and then gently filled it in.
[1:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: However, when he tried to flatten the earth-mount, he'd created by patting it down, the compression triggered the dynamite.
[2:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The explosion was so huge that it rocked the town of Shyvana, and police rushed to investigate.
[2:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They found our man torn their shreds and he remained alive just long enough to tell them the story.
[2:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Before receiving his door in a ward.
[2:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's a special circle of hell for people who heard animals in my opinion, but there's another circle for those who pick on the wrong animal and lose where they're mocked for all eternity.
[2:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's the internet.
[2:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Back in February 2023, the Brioche-Gug Recreation Center in Oms, Siberia had a surprise guest for
[2:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's the kind with two homes.
[2:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The camel, however, was not as excited to be there.
[2:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's handler trying to drag it towards the event through a patch of snow outside the center, but the camel was having none of it.
[2:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Getting increasingly frustrated, the handler resorted to violence repeatedly striking the animal in the head.
[2:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now I don't know if any of you have ever seen an adult back-trained camel, but these things are huge.
[3:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's six foot tall at the shoulder and weigh in around a thousand pounds.
[3:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And while they look pretty chill, they can become unstoppably aggressive.
[3:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So picking a find with one is not a smart move as this guy quickly discovered.
[3:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: After landing the second blow, the camels suddenly responded by biting, mulling, traveling and flinging the handler around like a ragdoll as he was obviously no match for the massive beast.
[3:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: After the handler stopped moving the camel went back to being a typical show camel, as if nothing had happened.
[3:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Needless to say, after being pummeled by a beast more than seven times a size, the handler didn't make it.
[3:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah, I guess the lesson here is to treat your animals as you want to be treated, especially animals much bigger than you that are prone to violence.
[3:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: YouTube's extreme-printing community hasn't had the best rep in recent years.
[3:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: From creeps ignoring the all-important rule of consent to cases of child cruelty, it's pretty hard to upload an extreme-print that's entertaining, doesn't cross the line, and isn't faked for views.
[4:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But the idea of staging an extreme prank isn't something that one YouTuber from Tennessee even considered back in 2021, which led to his super dumb demise.
[4:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He and his friend decided to prank a group of people late one night by running at them in a parking lot, wielding a butcher knife and pretending to rob them, with someone else nearby recording the incident.
[4:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that doesn't sound like a prank.
[4:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That sounds like attempted assault.
[4:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now here's the thing.
[4:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The group they were targeting didn't know that this was a prank.
[4:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm guessing so their fear came across as authentic on camera.
[4:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Potentency is quite famously an open carry state, meaning citizens are allowed to carry firearms.
[4:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Specifically, handguns on their persons for self-defense purposes, which one of them was.
[4:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, when the YouTuber branched a big old knife at the group and declared as intent to rob them, the armed group member immediately took him out.
[5:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it's not clear how he thought this was going to end.
[5:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe he just really wanted to be a part of my Darwin Award series.
[5:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: At least now his prank has made it big on YouTube.
[5:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Darkness is crime's best friend, allowing people to commit unspeakable acts without ever being seen.
[5:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Including by the idiots committing said crime it turns out.
[5:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Back in 2000, a couple of would-be criminals decided to target a gentleman who lived on a care van park and Brisbane, Australia.
[5:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was late at night and very dark, so the pair thought they'd have the advantage.
[5:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The guy would never see them coming.
[5:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They each pull out a knife and storm the caravan, which was pitch black inside.
[5:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A huge scuffle occurred between the three men, but when the would-be victim managed to turn the light on, it couldn't believe his eyes.
[5:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was un-engineered and his two assailants, however, unable to see and impaled each other.
[5:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: one only just survived but the other never made it to the hospital.
[5:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I guess that's the last time either of them will be taking a stab in the dork.
[6:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We'll considering how many of us indulge in fast food every day that people flipping your burgers and making your pizzas really don't make enough money.
[6:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: but in a bid to make more cash, one pair of fast food managers ended up getting way more than they bargained for.
[6:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This was back in the year 2000 when the night and day managers of a Burger King and Indianapolis came up with a plan to stage a robbery of the store they worked for.
[6:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The day manager would steal $4,000 in cash from the day's takeings before tying up the night manager in the walk in freezer and setting a small fire in a waste basket.
[6:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Making it look like the robbers had also tried to burn the place down.
[6:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The fire alarm would go off and when the fire brigade arrived, the night manager would tell them it was a robbery and no one would think the pair of them had taken the money.
[6:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This might have been a plan that worked if the day manager had messed up.
[6:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They set the weight space get on fire, but it was barely a smolder which didn't set off any of the fire alarms.
[6:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It wasn't until the morning crew came in and the rush of air from the open door sparked the smoldering embers to burst into flames that the firefighters were called.
[7:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And only then did they find the day manager in the freezer suffering from extreme hypothermia.
[7:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: as you can guess she didn't make it to the hospital.
[7:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But after realizing that the night managers' bindings were loose enough for her to have gotten free and that she could have escaped from the unlocked freezer they began to suspect foul play.
[7:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It wasn't long before they approached the day manager who not only still had the cash on them, but had incrementatingly stashed it in a Burger King bag.
[7:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Man, if you're going to be dumb enough to try a plan like this, at least be smart enough not to give caught.
[7:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, cyclists of the world listen up.
[7:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Most drivers hate us.
[7:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's no secret.
[7:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're much slower than them, some of us take a way too much space on the road and some, even run red lights and ignore signs thinking they don't reply to us.
[7:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If we want to improve our reputation, we need to do better, starting with paying attention.
[7:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Otherwise, you might end up like this next award winner.
[8:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Back in 1997, a cyclist in Sauracaba, Brazil put his walkman headphones on and set off on his bicycle.
[8:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was happily listening to his tunes, making his way through the city when he decided to take a shortcut to his destination.
[8:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Absorbed in his music he pelted on blissfully unaware of his surroundings when all of a sudden, he was knocked off his bike, playing oncoming playing.
[8:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, the shortcut this guy had decided to take lit across Sorkapa Airport's landing strip, and with his music blaring he hadn't heard the twin prop plane approaching the runway to land.
[8:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He crossed its path that exactly the wrong time and, needless to say, he didn't survive.
[8:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, there's at least one important lesson for all cyclists here, not everything is a cyclane.
[8:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Here's a question, what do you use gasoline for?
[8:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I bet most of you just said, it's fuel-duh, but did you know as a petroleum-based product?
[8:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's also pretty good at dissolving oils, making it a decent degreaser.
[9:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The only obvious issue is that it's also highly flammable, which is why it's not advised to use it as her go-to-degreaser, but that hasn't stopped some idiots.
[9:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Back in 1998, a woman in Texas was cleaning the tennis shoe she was wearing with gasoline to give them that bright white finish.
[9:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If she'd used an ounce of caution, this would have been absolutely fine.
[9:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Except she was doing it right next to a candle she had recently lit which she accidentally knocked over.
[9:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All of a sudden the flame ignited the spills of gasoline leading to her shoes, where their feet on fire she panicked and ran to her neighbors' house who rushed for her water hose, but as she did the polyester dress the woman was wearing, an notoriously flammable material, also called fire from the flame of the shoes.
[9:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The neighbor eventually put her out, but not before already it joined them, many Darwin award winners before.
[9:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Road signs and barricades are the bane of any car owner.
[9:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: One minute you're driving along, the next year need to turn around because the road ahead is closed.
[10:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: GERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
[10:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now I, being a well-biting citizen, just take the L and try to find a detour, like 99% of normal people.
[10:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: However, there's that 1% of drivers that think?
[10:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Surely whatever they've closed the roof or doesn't apply to me, right?
[10:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm special!
[10:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nothing bad will happen to me if I just keep on driving.
[10:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, that's exactly what this next guy was thinking.
[10:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Back in March 2018, New Jersey was in chaos.
[10:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A recent storm at down trees and powerlines all over the place, so there was traffic snarling the roads and tailbacks everywhere you'd looked.
[10:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Barricades were put up left right-hand center, however one man who'd been asked by his father to come and shovel his driveway decided these barricades simply did not apply to him.
[10:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He stared around to set up right-oing traffic cones that clearly blocked the road ahead of him.
[10:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and continued on his way.
[10:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That wasn't till a downed electrical wire in the middle of the road, which was live and still buzzing with thousands of bolts of electricity, stripped the car, zapping the driver, and setting the entire thing on fire.
[11:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh man, if only there'd been something don't warn him of the danger ahead.
[11:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know like a set of bright orange cones, purposely blocking the road!
[11:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Back in 2002, a farmer from South Pole Brazil was tasked with removing a beehive from one of his orange trees.
[11:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It could have hired a professional to take care of it, but he figured the easiest and cheapest way to be rid of them would be to burn the hive himself.
[11:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he put on his gloves, long pants, and long sleep garments, before sealing everything together with tape, so that bees wouldn't crawl into his clothes.
[11:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Then he put a plastic bag on his head, and sealed a tightly around his neck so the bees wouldn't sting his face.
[11:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And finally he grabbed a torch, and went off to burn some bees.
[11:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A few hours later, though he hadn't returned.
[11:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Worried his wife went out to look for him, and she found him.
[11:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Dead.
[11:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: but it wasn't from the bees, and fact their hive was untouched.
[12:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It turned out that the bag strapped to his head was efficient at keeping out the bees, the smoke, oh, and the oxygen he needed to breathe.
[12:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yep, this idiot hadn't put any air holes in the bag and, with his gloves taped down, his fumbling fingers weren't able to get any purchase to rip the bag off.
[12:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you legally own a gun, there's a good chance you've gone down to a firing range to practice your aim where you can shoot a bunch of sensible, non-life-threatening targets.
[12:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, like paper targets, steel plates, balloons, live electrical utility poles?
[12:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Wait, hang on.
[12:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and with a very good reason, as one Pennsylvania man discovered back in 2002.
[12:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He and a few of his friends were practicing their marksmanship in a farm field by shooting at, you guessed it, a live electrical utility pole.
[12:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Specifically, they were aiming at the glass electrical insulators lining the poles and keeping the wires suspended.
[12:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now the good news is their aim was sharp enough to hit at least six of these insulators.
[13:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The bad news was that as they hit the last insulator holding the live electrical wire in place, it fell down.
[13:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Suddenly, our man became aware that the sun scorched farmland they were on could catch fire, and so panicked he grabbed a wire with his hands.
[13:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Big mistake.
[13:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Thousands of multiple electricity searched through his body, instantly ending him, and fast tracking his application into the coveted Darwin Award Hall of Fame.
[13:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Have you ever done something stupid to try and impress someone you like?
[13:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe you bought them a super expensive gift or trade writing them a poem?
[13:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or worse, singing them a song?
[13:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I can hear the collective sigh of regret emanating?
[13:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: From around the world.
[13:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: These approaches may sound crunchy, but they're nothing compared to what these next two award winners did.
[13:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Back in 2004, two Taiwanese college students met up one evening and after they'd had a little drink, they both revealed they liked the same girl on campus.
[14:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was at this point, things got heated and so they decided to have a contest to see who between them would get the rights to pursue the girl.
[14:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And how did they settle this?
[14:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A nice, safe game of rock paper scissors, maybe?
[14:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No.
[14:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Saying as this was a matter of honor and dignity,
[14:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They decided to jowse.
[14:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But instead of horses, they'd use their scooters.
[14:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The rules were that they'd ride at each other full speed and the first one to turn away would lose the contest.
[14:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So without helmets or any kind of safety equipment, the two roads straight at each other topping out at 50 miles per hour, and crashed.
[14:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Neither had the smarts to turn away, which caused both of them their lives.
[14:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Ironically, they could have saved both their lives if they'd just talk to the girl as it turned out, she hadn't been interested in either of them, and that just makes his pair of darlin' awards all the shineier.
[14:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is there anything worse than losing the keys to your home?
[14:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Ah, it's so annoying.
[14:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you're lucky, you might remember that you forgot to lock a window and be able to claim her in that way.
[15:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But it's usually better to just wait for your locksmith to let you in, otherwise your impatience could have some real consequences.
[15:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like what happened to this next Darwin award winner?
[15:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Back in 2004 in Wolfsburg, Austria, and incredibly inebriated gentleman returned home late one evening, only to discover he couldn't find his keys.
[15:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No matter he thought, because he could slip in through the kitchen window.
[15:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The window itself was fixed at the base until the doubt giving him just enough room to squeeze his head and part of his torso through.
[15:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's when he gets stuck.
[15:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: With both his legs off the ground and being a little drunky, couldn't coordinate himself enough to push through.
[15:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then there was another complication.
[15:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: As he'd been struggling to get in, he'd accidentally turned on the tap, but loam filling the kitchen sink with water.
[15:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The more he struggled, the more he exhausted himself until he apparently fell asleep, still stuck in the window.
[15:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: From here, his head slipped into the water, and bang as drunk as he was, he didn't wake up, and he drowned.
[16:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was discovered the next day, and to really make this a top to your door when a war winner, as they were removing the body, the police found his keys in his pocket.
[16:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Man, if he'd survived this audio, I'm pretty sure he would have died of embarrassment.
[16:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It takes some serious corners to ride a motorbike.
[16:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The speeds, the other road users, the lack of airbags, it's a risky way to travel.
[16:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But even more so, when you're a great idiot, like this next guy was.
[16:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Back in 2008, a Floridian gentleman dressed in only his swim trunks and sneakers was riding along when he noticed the Manosota key job bridge ahead of him was beginning to open.
[16:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And a sensible writer worked their song would have slowed down and simply waited for the drop-rich to level again before crossing it, but not this guy.
[16:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, instead, clearly thinking he was in a fast and furious movie, decided to try his look and jump the gap.
[17:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he increased his speed and shot board.
[17:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Unfortunately for him, Drawbridge designers anticipated it's just like this, and so built in safety measures to most drawbridge's in the form of crossing guards.
[17:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The guards dropped down before, man had a chance to hit the brakes, close lining him off his bike and breakneck speeds and co-reening him over the side of the bridge.
[17:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He hit the water, but the impact instantly wiped him out of the gene pool.
[17:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Ironically, the bike carried on and apparently made it over to the other side,
[17:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There are a lot of things she has shouldn't be with a firework.
[17:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Shouldn't hold it while lighting fused, you shouldn't plan it somewhere dangerous, you shouldn't aim at it people, a lot of pretty obvious don'ts there, but you know which one I didn't think needed saying, don't put it in your butt.
[17:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And yet here we are in Sunderland UK, a place I can only assume is the Florida of England back in 2006.
[17:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's November 8th, the few days after England's famous guy Fox night where bonfires and fire works are lit to celebrate the day Mr. Fox didn't blow up the houses of Parliament.
[18:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: With a leftover firework, our award winner decided he would let this one off in style.
[18:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: By lighting the fuse, lying down on the ground and planning the firework, er, twixed his cheeks.
[18:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The incident, a compromise to his junk and his ability to procreate, thus removing any more of his idiot antics from the gene pool.
[18:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Wow, if I didn't know any better, I'd say Sunderland was challenging Florida for the title of most chaotic place in the world.
[18:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's something about the superhuman abilities on display during competitive endurance sports that you can look away from.
[18:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: you want to watch a man run 200 miles and 48 hours?
[18:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Of course you do.
[18:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You want to see someone cycle 400 miles and less than a day?
[18:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Absolutely!
[18:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You want to watch someone step into a superheated hotbox and stay in there for as long as possible?
[18:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hang on what?
[18:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And last one is real?
[18:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's called the World SANA Championship!
[19:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[19:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Bounded in 1999, the world's on a championship was an endurance competition held in Finland.
[19:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Each year, many eager, son-of-loving competitors would enter the hot box, which was an infernal 230 degrees Fahrenheit, hotter than the boiling point of water and how to enough to cost their degree burns.
[19:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Water was poured on the coals inside the sauna every 30 seconds and competitors would attempt to outlast every other person in there.
[19:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: With their efforts only counting if they could walk out of the box on aided.
[19:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Not only was this an actual official event, competitors had to sign a legal agreement promising not to sue the event organizers if they got injured.
[19:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Although that wouldn't make a difference to one of the men who competed back in 2010.
[19:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: After spending six minutes in the hellish hot box and outlasting every other competitor in there, the final two remaining competitors passed out and had to be dragged from the box.
[19:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Both were covered in third degree burns and blisters and were suffering from convulsions.
[20:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: One was transferred to the hospital where they revealed 70% of his skin was burned, his respiratory system was scorched in his kidneys failed.
