Russia, 2022: Influencer turned Only Fans Model Anastasia Grishman, went on a Reality TV talk show to discuss her life. Only the episode became an intervention as experts sat lecturing her new found career in porn. Her mum cried, begging Anastasia to stop and just as it looked like all hope was lost in getting through to Ana, she let slip a very important detail…her porn career had only begun since meeting her husband, Dimitry Chernyshov. Dimitry was not only her scene and business partner. But also someone with a dark history of manipulating and beating girlfriends into becoming pornstars. Then, after the show aired, Ansastasia’s life spiralled completely. She disappeared, and the only place anyone could find her alive was online… Resources: Akt - https://www.akt.org.uk/ https://linktr.ee/eleanornealeresources Watch OUTLORE Podcast: https://www.youtube.com/@EleanorNeale Follow Me Here for Updates & Short Form Content: Instagram TikTok Learn more about your ad choices. [0:00] Hello and welcome to Outlaw Podcast.
[0:03] I'm Ellen O'Neill and in today's episode we're in Russia in 2022,
[0:08] where an episode of ATV talk show dug up so many secrets and
[0:12] lies it actually exposed A murderer 3 months after the
[0:17] episode aired. The star of this episode, a
[0:19] woman named Anastasia Kamlovskaya, an influencer
[0:23] turned Only Fans model, would disappear, but not entirely.
[0:31] Outlaw. In a normal episode, we would
[0:34] just get straight into the rest of the story here, but since
[0:37] this is our first episode as the newly branded Outlaw Podcast, I
[0:42] want to formally welcome you back to our new era.
[0:45] Thank you for being patient with me during my time off.
[0:47] I am feeling much, much better now.
[0:50] I needed that. But we're back.
[0:52] We're better than ever. We have a new name, a new style,
[0:55] significantly less editing out when I stumble over my words.
[0:57] So enjoy that. Hopefully it's not going to be
[1:00] too bad, but I just want it to have a bit more of a LAX style
[1:04] over here. I want it to feel like we're
[1:05] just chilling. We're just chatting.
[1:07] Anyway, with all of that being said, let's kick off our return
[1:10] with one hell of a story. This case is honestly insane.
[1:14] We've got sex, TikTok, TV show drama and more tattoos then you
[1:19] can even count. So in the 20 twenties it is
[1:23] common to see influences making a pivot into the sex industry.
[1:27] So many people are launching their only fans or even becoming
[1:30] famous because of their only fans.
[1:33] These girlies are everywhere every time you open social
[1:35] media, and they're even breaking into the mainstream now.
[1:39] They've gone from living on our Fyps and guesting on podcasts to
[1:43] daytime TV talk shows. Even in countries where this
[1:47] kind of content, sex content is banned, like in Russia, which is
[1:51] where today's case takes place. And PS.
[1:54] This episode was. Written working very closely
[1:57] with a Russian translator. So thank you to them.
[2:00] We quite literally could not have covered this case without
[2:03] them. And before we get any further
[2:05] into this story, I want to warn you that we will be covering a
[2:08] lot of sensitive topics today, including domestic violence,
[2:12] suicide, sex trafficking, eating disorders and murder.
[2:16] So viewer discretion is always advised.
[2:19] So we're in Saint Petersburg, which is the cultural capital of
[2:23] Russia. It's full of museums, galleries,
[2:25] theatres. It's where a lot of Russia's
[2:28] famous creatives are based. It's a city where people can
[2:31] push boundaries and experiment. And it was here where Anastasia
[2:36] Kamlovsky, better known as Nastier or Anna to her friends.
[2:40] Nastier, by the way, is the coolest nickname I've ever heard
[2:43] of. You just know she was a bad bee.
[2:45] But she was born on February 7th, 1996.
[2:49] And her childhood was incredibly tough.
[2:52] This poor little girl was up against it like right from the
[2:55] day that she was born. Her father was an alcoholic and
[2:58] he was mostly absent from her life.
[3:01] Anastasia was an only child, being raised by her mother,
[3:04] Elena. And they were honestly
[3:06] practically homeless. They shared a bed in a hostel
[3:10] together until Anna was about 12 years old.
[3:12] So she's almost a teenager with no privacy, no personal space of
[3:19] her own, not even her own bed. But her mother was often working
[3:23] very long hours in other cities just in order to provide for the
[3:27] two of them. Anna said that she basically
[3:29] raised herself up until the age of 12.
[3:31] And then one day, her mother made the decision to send Anna
[3:35] off to go and live with a relative about 30 minutes away
[3:38] in Colpino. Anna would be living with her
[3:41] paternal grandmother. So even though she didn't have
[3:43] that much of a relationship, if anything with her father, at
[3:48] least his mother was looking out for her.
[3:51] You know, here Anna would get her own bedroom.
[3:53] She would finally have some privacy as she was coming into
[3:56] her teenage years. However, now that she lived with
[3:59] her grandmother, she would see her mother less and less as time
[4:02] went on. I believe the reason that Anna
[4:04] was sent to go and live with her grandmother was because her mom
[4:08] was actually moving to a different city for work.
[4:11] She would come back and see Anna on weekends as often as she
[4:14] could, but over time this was becoming less and unless her
[4:19] mother seemingly had new priorities, her first priority
[4:23] was work. And money, of course, as most
[4:25] people's are. Because we need shelter.
[4:27] We need food. But her second priority?
[4:30] That was once her daughter had become men, and unfortunately,
[4:35] that meant that her daughter was her third priority.
[4:39] Allegedly, Anna's mum had become pretty wrapped up in her
[4:42] romantic relationships, even getting married at least once
[4:45] after Anna's dad, Anna. At this point in her life, she
[4:49] was still very young and she was feeling left behind.
[4:52] She felt ditched, replaced by the new family that her mum was
[4:57] building with this other man. Anna was a very sorrowful child.
[5:01] She had been abandoned from such an early age by her father.
[5:05] She had depression basically her whole entire life.
[5:08] She grew up with no control over her circumstances and obviously
[5:12] her and her mum had very little money.
[5:15] And Anna was getting very little emotional nurturing because her
[5:19] mother was always out at work. This lack of control that Anna
[5:23] had over her own life continued to haunt her into her teenage
[5:27] years and eventually presented itself as an eating disorder.
[5:31] Poor Anna had so many different battles that she was always
[5:35] fighting, but living with her grandmother at this point in
[5:38] time offered a slight relief. Anna had a real love of art that
[5:43] her grandmother was nurturing and encouraging in a way that
[5:46] had never been nurtured and encouraged before.
[5:49] Her grandmother gave her all of the space and support that she
[5:52] needed to be creative. She even gave her all the
[5:55] things, all the equipment, all the paints and the pencils and
[5:57] the canvases. Actually, fun fact, did you know
[6:00] that the Russian word for grandma is babushka?
[6:02] I love her. I'm going to have that Kate Bush
[6:04] song stuck in my head for like a week now though.
[6:06] But by the age of 15, Anna's love for art intensified so much
[6:10] that she wanted it on her body. She was a few years off of the
[6:14] legal age to get tattooed in Russia, which is 18 as it is in
[6:17] most places. But our girl Anna was not about
[6:20] to let the law get between her and her art and looking for her,
[6:24] her babushka was very LAX. And so she took Anna to get her
[6:28] very first tattoo at the age of 15.
[6:30] Now, I can already feel some of you guys cringing listening to
[6:33] this, thinking about all the tattoos that you would have
[6:35] gotten at age 15. If you're allowed, maybe you did
[6:38] manage to get a tattoo at 15. And if in that case, I hope you
[6:42] still relate to that emo song lyric.
[6:44] For me, it definitely would have been an emo song lyric.
[6:46] It would have been even worse. It would have been like one of
[6:47] the band's logos or something. But also, you shouldn't regret
[6:51] anything that made you the person that you are today, You
[6:53] know what I mean? Luckily for Anna, though,
[6:55] getting a tattoo at 15 wasn't going to turn into a regret
[6:58] later on in life. It would actually be the
[7:00] beginning of a lifelong commitment not only to making
[7:03] art, but to being the art. I feel like Anna was that cool
[7:09] edgy teenager that we all aspired to be but never quite
[7:12] reached. I mean, at least I never did.
[7:14] Those of you that are watching the video version of this
[7:16] podcast may have just been jump scared by a photo of young
[7:19] Ellie, if I can find one. Yeah, I had my emo phase.
[7:25] In fact I had emo phases. They would come and go.
[7:28] At the moment I'm in a girly phase.
[7:30] It's fine. The emo phase will come back
[7:32] soon though, I'm sure of it. It's like a pendulum swing.
[7:35] Anyways, Anna was cool in like so many different ways.
[7:38] Not just the tattoos, not just the look.
[7:40] In college she was taking classes to be a car mechanic,
[7:44] she was learning computer programming.
[7:46] She was a woman of many, many talents.
[7:48] And by now in her life, she was working part time in a tattoo
[7:51] parlour as an apprentice. She was doing what she loved,
[7:55] expressing her creativity and eventually earning a bit of
[7:58] money for doing that as well. So throughout her teenage years,
[8:01] Anna's style and appearance began to reflect her artistry.
[8:06] She had a very unique, memorable look.
[8:09] She had dyed hair, multiple piercings.
[8:12] She dressed really edgy. If I was to describe her style,
[8:15] it would be like anime meets got.
[8:17] She gives like, Aisha erotica if the girls who know the girls who
[8:23] get it, get it. When Anna was 16 years old, she
[8:25] made her first social media account on the Russian version
[8:29] of Facebook. It's called Contact.
[8:31] Yeah, Contact. I'm not sure there's a lot of
[8:35] Russian pronunciation in this case, and please just give me a
[8:38] little bit of grace with it. I've tried my best.
[8:40] I'll possibly even have to look up other words as I'm filming
[8:43] this. But yes, she made her account on
[8:47] this Russian version of Facebook, which did you know
[8:50] that Facebook and Instagram are actually currently banned in
[8:54] Russia as of 2022? I'm actually shocked and
[8:57] slightly embarrassed to admit that I didn't know that before
[8:59] we started researching for this video.
[9:01] Apparently Russia accused Meta of allowing violence against
[9:06] Russian soldiers to be spread on their platforms.
[9:09] And so they they banned Meta platforms, which is Facebook and
[9:13] Instagram. I don't know if there's any
[9:14] more, but yeah, for like 3 years now Russia hasn't had Instagram
[9:18] or Facebook. Anna was posting on contact a
[9:21] contact a Oh my gosh, I'm actually embarrassed.
[9:24] Anna was posting about all of her favorite things, anime,
[9:27] gaming, tattooing, and she was gradually building up a bit of a
[9:30] community, like a bit of a following of people that really
[9:33] enjoyed the same stuff, but also just really enjoyed hearing from
[9:36] Anna. She was becoming an influencer
[9:39] before the age of influences. This was like what, 2014?
[9:43] By the end of 2014, Anna was 18 years old.
[9:46] She'd completed all of her studies and now she was looking
[9:49] for full time work. Of course, tattooing seemed like
[9:52] the. Most natural direction for her
[9:54] to go in and she was really good at it too.
[9:56] She was so talented. She was her own portfolio.
[10:00] She had covered herself in tattoos by this point and it had
[10:03] only been been three years since she got her very first tattoo.
[10:06] She is now at the legal age to be tattooed and her body is
[10:10] already covered. That's hilarious, I love her.
[10:12] Anyway, she began to make a name for herself in the tattooing
[10:15] industry, especially in Saint Petersburg.
[10:17] She was known for her anime style tattoos.
[10:21] In fact, she was so into anime that she had worked it into her
[10:25] look and she would do cosplaying.
[10:27] She would post photos dressed as different characters online.
[10:31] She was becoming known for quite a few things all at once, once
[10:34] tattooing obviously her cosplaying photos.
[10:37] She was also selling courses on computer programming and graphic
[10:41] design on the side. She was a woman of so many
[10:43] talents, and also she was practically a social media
[10:47] influencer in general by this point.
[10:49] She was girl bossing to the Max at just 18 years old.
[10:54] She was doing all the things she loved and making money doing it
[10:57] all as well. She'd even made enough money at
[10:59] this point to move out of her babushka's house.
[11:02] And yeah, she was, she was living, she was thriving.
[11:05] She was 18 out in the world. And Anna had a real goal in
[11:11] life, to be famous. She wanted to be famous some way
[11:14] or another, whether it was for tattooing or cosplaying or being
[11:18] an an influencer. She was just always keen to be
[11:20] growing her audience, her following.
[11:23] And so she actually auditioned to be on ATV show out in Russia
[11:27] called Tomboy. And I'm not entirely sure on the
[11:29] premise. I think it's a bit like a
[11:31] makeover show where they take a quote UN quote tomboy and make
[11:35] them girly. But she was actually rejected
[11:37] from being on this show. I think maybe she didn't quite
[11:40] suit what they were looking for because she wasn't tomboyish.
[11:42] She was just like alt, super alt, edgy, tattered and pierced,
[11:47] you know? But yeah, she was, she was
[11:48] rejected from being on this show.
[11:50] But I think that really gives context to Annas desire to be
[11:55] known and seen and famous. And so even though TV didn't
[12:00] really work out for her, Anna would continue to build her
[12:02] reputation in other ways. And by the age of 21, she was a
[12:06] locally famous tattoo artist and had given herself the stage name
[12:12] Grishman. It's not exactly a stage name.
[12:14] There's no stage here. There was just a tattoo gun,
[12:17] tattoo machine. Actually, you're not really
[12:19] supposed to call them a tattoo gun, are you?
[12:20] Because it's not a gun. Anyways, I'm getting
[12:23] sidetracked. Get ready for a lot of that.
[12:25] Actually, with this more LAX style, you're going to hear
[12:27] every single thought that passes my little brain.
[12:29] So she had this like stage name Grishman.
[12:32] And I'm not entirely sure where it came from.
[12:34] We really couldn't find that. It was difficult to really dig
[12:37] into the the little details of this case.
[12:39] Obviously, I'm not Russian, none of my girlies on my team are
[12:43] Russian. Of course, we worked really
[12:44] closely with a translator, but it's it's difficult.
[12:47] It was, it was Hard Out Here doing this one, but it was very
[12:49] worth it. But this name Grishman.
[12:51] What we could find is that Anna wanted something that was
[12:55] pronounced pronoun pronoun. Oh my gosh.
[12:58] Pronounced. In English, it was almost like
[13:00] an English word, an English name, Grishman.
[13:02] She stylized it on Instagram without vowels.
[13:05] It was just like a dot instead of the I in Grishman.
[13:08] By now, the only part of Anna's body that didn't have tattoos
[13:12] was her back. And that's because, quite
[13:14] frankly, she couldn't reach, she couldn't reach back there.
[13:17] She had done nearly all of the tattoos on her body all by
[13:21] herself, which is so cool. She just gets cooler the more
[13:25] you learn about this girl. She was earning a lot of as
[13:28] well. At this point in time she was a
[13:29] very established tattoo artist. She was earning more money than
[13:33] most tattoo artists out in Saint Petersburg.
[13:36] And by 20/19 she was 23 years old and she started blowing up
[13:42] on TikTok. She had like 290K followers and
[13:46] this was before TikTok was like cool.
[13:48] I feel like opinions on TikTok changed once the pandemic hit
[13:52] and everyone was in their houses and they were bored and they
[13:54] downloaded it. But before that, people used to
[13:57] cringe at TikTok. I remember because me and my
[13:59] friends, obviously I've been an influencer for a while, girls
[14:02] and me and my friends did a few tick tocks before the pandemic
[14:05] and everyone was like, Oh my God, you're trying to be a tick
[14:07] tocker. And now it's cool to be a tick
[14:09] tocker. Anyways, Anna, Anna was an OG,
[14:12] Anna was there early doors. And even though 290K followers
[14:17] obviously is a lot, but I think compared to the influences that
[14:21] we're seeing a lot these days with millions, 290K doesn't
[14:25] sound quite as much. But you have to think like,
[14:28] especially before the pandemic, before TikTok was cool, she was,
[14:33] she went massive, she was blowing up.
[14:35] Anna was doing amazing and she was really, really happy.
[14:38] But unfortunately, it's always when things are going insanely
[14:42] well that someone will walk into your life and fuck it all up.
[14:46] And statistically speaking, that person is obviously going to be
[14:49] a man. Enter Dimitri, who was sent
[14:52] Anna's way by his own. Girlfriend at the time, Dimitri.
[14:58] He had been with a woman named Margarita for five years.
[15:01] They were like childhood sweethearts, and his girlfriend
[15:04] Margarita had suggested that he should go and get tattooed by
[15:07] her favorite tattoo artist, Anna Grishman.
[15:12] Only this innocent recommendation would soon
[15:15] backfire astronomically, and it would blow up all three of their
[15:20] lives. And for Anna, meeting Dimitri
[15:23] would be fatal. The exact date that Dimitri and
[15:27] Anna first met is quite hard to pinpoint.
[15:29] Pinpoint. It's never really mentioned in
[15:32] reports, so I'm not sure if anyone really knows of an exact
[15:34] date. The most accurate estimate we
[15:37] have is late 2021, around September.
[15:40] Dimitri would have first walked into Anna's tattoo parlour and
[15:44] been inked by the anime tattoo queen herself.
[15:48] He had booked in to get a massive piece that was going to
[15:50] take quite a few sessions to complete over a number of days.
[15:54] But he knew that he was in good hands with Anna, especially
[15:57] because his girlfriend Margarita, who had recommended
[16:00] Anna, had been tattooed by her previously and had a really good
[16:04] experience. So let's talk a little bit about
[16:06] Dimitri and Margarita. They were.
[16:08] Quite a solid couple. I mean, they'd been together for
[16:10] five years. She was his partner, his
[16:13] business partner and also his scene partner.
[16:18] What does that mean? Well, Dmitri had a range of
[16:21] different incomes, and one of those was as a producer slash
[16:26] actor in his own home movies, if you know what I mean.
[16:31] I'm not going to build it up any further, girls.
[16:32] Dmitri was in porn. He was doing porn, which is
[16:35] actually kind of illegal in Russia, even punishable by two
[16:40] to six years in prison. So let's just hover here for a
[16:43] minute because that's quite scandalous.
[16:45] In Russia it is legal to watch porn, but kind of illegal to
[16:50] make it. You can shoot erotic content,
[16:54] but no straight up like professional pornography.
[16:57] Obviously there's little loopholes and people make it
[17:00] anywhere, especially in Saint Petersburg.
[17:02] You know, the creative boundary pushing city.
[17:05] It's actually the pawn capital of Russia, which is just a fun
[17:09] fact for you all to take away from this episode.
[17:12] A lot of Russia's most frequently visited porn sites
[17:15] are actually banned by the government because they believe
[17:18] it's bad for society. But not everyone in Russia
[17:21] thinks like that. As we were researching all of
[17:23] this, we found a really funny interaction.
[17:25] A Russian woman once tweeted the government agency that controls
[17:28] the media asking them what is she supposed to do now that porn
[17:33] is blocked? And they actually sassed her
[17:35] back saying you can meet someone in real life.
[17:38] Like damn, I don't want to say they gagged her a bit, but they
[17:40] did. In 2016, Pornhub even offered
[17:44] the government agency free premium subscriptions if they
[17:49] reverse the block on the website.
[17:51] But the agency got sassy again saying that they are not in the
[17:54] market for such an offer. I mean I could have guessed
[17:57] that, but anyways, despite being banned in Russia last year,
[18:02] Pornhub still got 176.12 million visits 170, 6,000,000 visits
[18:09] girls from Russian users, which isn't that much lower than the
[18:13] UK number of legal visits to Pornhub.
[18:17] You can take the porn out of Russia, but you cannot drag the
[18:19] Russians away from their porn. But.
[18:21] If it's banned, how are they still accessing it?
[18:24] Well. VPNs, of course, girls, if
[18:27] you're listening to my podcast, then I'm sure you're very
[18:30] familiar with how VPNs work. They basically allow you to
[18:34] access content that is locked in your own country, so you can
[18:37] appear as though you are operating from the United
[18:40] Kingdom even if you're in Russia.
[18:42] Obviously the Russian government is very aware that this is a
[18:45] potential get around, so they are super strict on what VPNs
[18:49] are allowed in the country and those VPNs have to adhere to
[18:53] very strict restrictions. Strict, strict strictions.
[18:57] It's honestly quite hard to work a VPN over in Russia I've heard.
[19:01] But there are some that work. If you know the right ones, If
[19:04] you know the ones to look for. But a VPN isn't the only way
[19:07] that Russians are getting their mitts on porn.
[19:09] My research girls very bravely journeyed down the Reddit rabbit
[19:13] hole about Russian porn to find out how they're actually doing
[19:17] all of this. So brave of them.
[19:19] So we have a few different methods that Russians get their
[19:24] mitts on. Porn.
[19:24] Apparently contact contact. Contact is used a lot for
[19:30] accessing porn, which shocked me actually because that is just
[19:33] regular social media that is like Facebook.
[19:36] But actually, then again, you do.
[19:38] Accidentally stumble across porn on Twitter well I say you me I
[19:44] my timeline has has the occasional jump scare and to be
[19:48] fair you can stumble into softcore stuff on practically
[19:50] any platform these days the only fans girls are getting wild with
[19:54] the ways that they're promo in anyways on contact contact here
[19:58] what I'm going to stop saying it in multiple different ways just
[20:01] imagine that I'm. Saying it right on contact one
[20:06] can join a group and access plenty of pornography, even only
[20:10] fans content. Another way that Russians are
[20:13] getting their rocks off is through Telegram, which is like
[20:16] WhatsApp. You might have heard of it.
[20:17] To be fair I've heard people using it over here.
[20:20] But you can join broadcast message channels that will send
[20:24] out porn to all of their viewers.
[20:27] I believe Telegram is like quite encrypted so it's very
[20:30] secretive. Trust me girls, this is all very
[20:32] important context for the story. I mean it is a bit, but like I
[20:36] just love going on tangents man. Have I missed this?
[20:40] Just chewing your ear off about anything I want to in the middle
[20:43] of a true crime case. Anyways, back to Dmitri.
[20:46] Before we get into his relationships and into his pawn
[20:50] again, we're going to get into his past because every man has
[20:53] one and Dmitri's is particularly creepy.
[20:57] So his name is Dmitri Chernashev.
[20:59] He was born on February 15th, 1998, making him two years
[21:04] younger than Anna. He's originally from Omsk, which
[21:07] is a four hour flight away from Saint Petersburg.
[21:11] His mom passed away when he was super young and his dad
[21:15] remarried to another woman raising Dmitri with this new
[21:18] partner. But this kind of tragic shake up
[21:22] at such an early age, his mother passing away and essentially
[21:26] being replaced had left Dmitri very traumatized.
[21:30] He was a very closed off, quiet, shy child.
[21:34] As a teenager he was very active on contact.
[21:38] On his page, he talked about his love for poetry, junk food.
[21:42] Death, you know, all the usual, all the good stuff.
[21:45] He was relentless with these death posts, by the way.
[21:48] It seems like a bit of a bit of an obsession for him.
[21:52] It's a real theme for him. And actually it gets even
[21:54] creepier. I think just the concept of that
[21:56] is a bit creepy, but the way that he went about it, he was
[21:59] like posting photos. Of him in graveyards, which I
[22:02] guess you know, whatever Goths have been doing that for.
[22:04] Years, but he would. Caption these photos of him in
[22:07] the graveyard saying that he likes to walk among the graves
[22:10] of girls much younger than him. What, Like what do you even,
[22:14] what, where do you get off? Like what are you getting?
[22:16] That's so strange. Dmitri was honestly just weird
[22:20] as fuck on social media. I'm going to be so real.
[22:22] Like he had like no social skills.
[22:25] He would write about his criteria for potential mates.
[22:30] I made that sound like the Discovery Channel.
[22:32] He's not looking for animals, but like for women.
[22:35] He would say like he would never sleep with someone whose body
[22:38] weight was over a certain amount or if they were over 16 which is
[22:42] next level weird. I don't know if he was just
[22:44] saying that for shock value or something because he did have a
[22:47] girlfriend, Margarita, who was the same age as him.
[22:50] I don't know though. It's weird enough to post that
[22:52] on socials. Like even if it is like a weird
[22:55] joke, no one's laughing you know?
[22:56] He would even talk about Margarita on socials really
[23:00] weirdly. He would say that she was
[23:01] nothing more than skin to him. Gross, disrespectful,
[23:05] misogynistic. I already hit this man.
[23:07] When he was 18 years old he and Margarita got on a plane and
[23:12] moved to and Petersburg about four hours away and he got a
[23:15] part time job in IT, programming, web design,
[23:18] whatever he could like he was he was a computer guy and by 19
[23:22] years old he had already caught at least 2 criminal charges.
[23:26] The first was for theft when he was 16 and then for evading the
[23:31] national service at 19. So in Russia it's compulsory for
[23:35] 18 year old boys to serve in the military for one year.
[23:38] Refusal results in criminal charges and even worse, men
[23:42] caught. Not avoiding compulsory service
[23:44] are actually never allowed to leave Russia again.
[23:48] It is illegal for them to leave the country after that.
[23:50] If they do, they run the risk of imprisonment.
[23:53] Imprisonment. So Dimitri had geographically
[23:57] trapped himself in his home country forever.
[24:01] And now here he was in Anna's tattoo chair, courtesy of his
[24:05] girlfriend Margarita, who sent him there.
[24:07] Over the days that Anna spent tattooing him, the two of them
[24:10] chatted and they realized they actually had a lot in common.
[24:12] They both loved cars and art. Oh my God, that's one thing I
[24:16] forgot to tell you about Anna. She loved a supercar.
[24:19] She loved a sports car. She was a racer girl.
[24:22] And they both loved tattoos. Obviously, Dimitri was covered
[24:25] in them. They were even like going up
[24:27] onto his face. They were both huge fans of
[24:29] getting inked. But Anna, yeah, felt like it was
[24:31] way more than just these surface level similarities that
[24:34] connected them. They both realized that they'd
[24:37] grown up without their mom present in in different ways.
[24:41] Obviously, Anna's mom was working a lot, even though she
[24:44] would come home and literally stay in the same bed as Anna
[24:47] every night. Well, that was only until she
[24:49] was 12 actually, wasn't it? Because then she went to live
[24:51] with her grandmother. But anyway, the two of them,
[24:53] Dimitri and Anna, could understand each other's pain and
[24:57] that sense of abandonment. They both came from nothing and
[25:01] they really wanted to be something.
[25:03] They were both ambitious, they both wanted to be famous one
[25:06] day, so did Dimitri. So by the end of the final
[25:09] tattoo session, the two of them have grown very close and they
[25:14] began scheduling Hangouts, going to car dealerships together, to
[25:18] art events, tattooing, convention, whatever.
[25:21] And soon their friendship was. Very much giving affair.
[25:25] I don't know if they. They were sleeping together, but
[25:26] if I was Margarita, I would hate that my boyfriend was
[25:29] practically going on dates with another girl.
[25:32] Margarita was growing more and more suspicious with Anna and
[25:35] Dimitri's very close friendship, and to put it plainly, she
[25:40] crashed out over it multiple times.
[25:42] She was very, very angry with Dimitri.
[25:44] She would cause a lot of arguments over it, and you know
[25:46] what, so would I, so would I. After all, she had moved to
[25:50] Saint Petersburg, 4 hours away from her hometown, because of
[25:53] him. It was because he wanted to move
[25:55] to Saint Petersburg. And let's not forget, it was
[25:59] Margarita that literally connected him with Anna, with
[26:03] Grishman, her favorite tattoo artist.
[26:06] And now they were. Probably having an affair.
[26:09] That's insane. It's like an even more soul
[26:11] destroying version of when you introduce two of your friends
[26:14] and then they become even closer than you were to either of them.
[26:17] Like that's bad enough not handing your boyfriend over to
[26:21] be stolen by another woman. That's.
[26:24] Saying so, Margarita is crashing out.
[26:26] She would send him multiple messages, call him like spam,
[26:29] call him whenever he was out with Anna, and she would be
[26:33] threatening to hurt herself. She would be accusing him of
[26:36] cheating, saying that she's going to take this out on
[26:39] herself. And then one day, after a string
[26:41] of messages just like that, Anna and Dimitri went to the flat
[26:46] that Dimitri and Margarita shared to try to reason with
[26:49] Margarita, to try and convince her, actually, that they weren't
[26:52] having an affair. I'm not entirely sure if they
[26:55] were or they weren't. But the point is, Margarita
[26:58] didn't believe a word of it. I don't think I would either,
[27:00] I'll be so honest. In a flurry of emotion,
[27:03] Margarita ran out of the flat in tears, out into the snow.
[27:07] It was snowing outside. She was only wearing pajamas,
[27:10] and Anna was really worried for Margarita.
[27:13] This is another woman in pain, you know, And she really felt
[27:16] for her. And so Anna called Margarita an
[27:19] ambulance. You know, some kind of medical
[27:21] professional could come and see to her because even and if she
[27:24] wasn't physically harmed, which I mean, she'd run out into the
[27:27] snow in her pajamas. She was probably like very cold.
[27:30] She needed one of those like foil blankets or whatever.
[27:32] But beyond that, she was clearly having a mental health moment.
[27:36] And even though I think for for like, fair enough reason, her
[27:41] boyfriend is putting her through psychological warfare when he's
[27:46] like clearly way too close with this girl, but he's like
[27:49] gaslighting Margarita and saying that whatever, Margarita needed
[27:53] help and Anna was the only one trying to get it for her.
[27:56] She was the one that called the ambulance.
[27:58] Her actual boyfriend, Dmitri. I don't know what he was doing.
[28:01] Didn't seem to care as much as Anna though.
[28:03] But then Margarita discovered something even worse about her
[28:07] boyfriend's relationship with this other girl.
[28:09] He had bought Anna a car. A whole entire car.
[28:13] He had never bought Margarita a car before and that is a huge
[28:16] purchase to spend on anyone, especially someone that you've
[28:20] like only just met. Margarita found out about this
[28:23] car and she just saw red. She went out and stole the car
[28:29] and intentionally crashed it. Can we blame her?
[28:32] Really. I mean.
[28:32] That is a very drastic thing to do, but like I said, she has
[28:35] been put through psychological torture watching Herman quite
[28:40] clearly have an affair, and he's treating this new woman in a way
[28:44] that he had never treated her before.
[28:46] He'd only ever called her skin on his social media.
[28:49] He'd only ever disrespected her. And all the while he is
[28:52] gaslighting her and using her for his porn career.
[28:56] Let's not forget about that whole element of it.
[28:58] She is still starring in these videos and he is earning money
[29:01] off of it. So soon after this car crashing
[29:04] incident, Dmitri left Margarita and became an official couple
[29:08] with Anna. It's always the girl they tell
[29:11] you not to worry about. I.
[29:12] Literally feel sick. But now Dimitri was taking over
[29:17] Anna's life. It wasn't just a relationship
[29:20] that they were getting into, it was her business.
[29:23] Literally. He had made himself almost like
[29:26] Anna's manager, like APA. At this point.
[29:29] Obviously she's a very successful tattoo artist, but
[29:31] also an influencer. She had like 290K on Instagram,
[29:34] so I think she's getting brand deals and stuff like that.
[29:37] He was going to manage all of that for her.
[29:40] He said that he would help her make the content, schedule all
[29:43] the posts, sell her courses. Obviously she was still doing
[29:46] all that computer stuff on the side.
[29:48] He was going to help her take tattoo bookings and just plan
[29:52] out her days in general. Apparently before Dmitry came
[29:55] into the picture as Anna's manager, she was making 4
[29:58] million rubles, which is around £32,000 a year, which is good.
[30:05] Girly was doing pretty well, but now with him in the picture,
[30:09] helping her out, booking all of her things, managing her diary,
[30:12] she was now making 7 million which is about £57,000 a year,
[30:18] so there was benefits to having around.
[30:21] Clearly, Dimitri did have some perks, but Oh my God, were his
[30:25] cons about to outweigh those very few perks.
[30:30] By around February 2022, Anna and Dimitri got married.
[30:35] Yes, it really did happen that quickly.
[30:37] Within five months of meeting each other, they were married.
[30:40] It could have been even quicker than that, actually, since
[30:43] timelines are quite tricky with this case.
[30:45] With all the translation, it's really hard to pinpoint a
[30:48] timeline when you're translating sauces.
[30:51] Oh my God, that was my cat. Hello.
[30:55] I think she's going to. There she is.
[30:57] Say hello, everybody. I'm Pluto.
[31:00] What? You've literally just sat down
[31:03] very quickly. After the two of them got
[31:04] married, Anna's career path would take a dramatic pivot.
[31:09] She became Dimitri's new costar out with Margarita, in with
[31:13] Anna. First they were making content
[31:15] for only fans and then for Pornhub.
[31:18] He had made his influencer tattoo artist wife a porn star.
[31:24] And only one month into making this content, Anna would be
[31:27] invited onto ATV talk show called Beyond the Edge to talk
[31:31] about her new career in of the whole of Russia.
[31:34] And remember, this is a very controversial career to have
[31:37] over there. But there were cracks in Anna,
[31:41] in her business plans, in her husband's past.
[31:44] And now on national TV, those cracks we're going to show.
[31:48] The show aired in early April 2022.
[31:52] Beyond the Edge is like a daytime talk show, kind of like
[31:54] Doctor Phil or like Jeremy Kyle over here in the UK.
[31:58] This episode that Anna was on was all specifically about
[32:02] confronting the porn industry, but using Anna as a face for
[32:06] that. I think it was quite unfair, but
[32:08] it was practically a bit of a grilling session of Anna.
[32:11] And like, why do you do porn basically in front of a studio
[32:14] audience and a panel of guests including like psychologists and
[32:19] professionals and Anna's own mother.
[32:22] So Anna was sitting there in front of all of these people
[32:26] ready to bear all and answer their questions.
[32:28] It was a very brave thing to do, just.
[32:31] Yes, everyone that was involved in the show, including Annas
[32:34] mother had been paid to go on. At this point that's less
[32:38] important, but it becomes very important later on in in this
[32:42] episode. So the show begins and the host
[32:45] introduces what the episode is about.
[32:48] It's about Anna who was presented as this tattered up
[32:51] like delinquent girl who has devastated her mum with all of
[32:55] her choices. In a nutshell, it opens with
[32:58] Anna's mum discussing her daughter with the host and the
[33:01] rest of the panel. She's saying that she is so
[33:04] devastated that in the last month her daughter had become an
[33:07] adult film * and she blames her daughter's new husband Dmitri.
[33:12] You can see that even before Anna comes out on the stage,
[33:15] everyone's mind is already made. You know that she is not winning
[33:19] here. She is the punching bag for this
[33:21] episode. And because of this, Anna is
[33:24] very defensive and confrontational right from the
[33:28] off. She's laughing at the panel's
[33:30] comments about her and their lectures about her lifestyle.
[33:34] She really kind of takes on that TV villain persona, saying that
[33:39] she is the ideal beauty standard and there should be posters of
[33:43] her everywhere. She was really like feeding into
[33:45] that villain vilanity. Is that a word?
[33:49] I think it seems like a self-defense response.
[33:52] You know, she knows that all of these people are disgusted by
[33:55] her. She knows that she's here to be
[33:57] a punching bag. So why not really play up and
[34:00] kind of put a barrier in in between her, the real Anna, and
[34:05] what everyone's calling her and saying that she is.
[34:08] It's almost like putting on a mask.
[34:10] You want a villain, Fine, I'll be a villain.
[34:12] So they asked Anna if it's true that her new husband introduced
[34:16] her to the pawn industry, but Anna says no.
[34:18] She said I wanted to do it, but no one supported me.
[34:22] I had no one to film with. So she's almost saying, like
[34:25] getting this husband that has unlocked her potential to be a
[34:29] Pawn Star, something that she'd always wanted to do.
[34:32] She seems very happy with her situation.
[34:35] Honestly. He's helped her to make a lot
[34:37] more money than she was making before because he knows the pawn
[34:41] industry very well. He'd already been doing it for
[34:44] four years at this point with his ex.
[34:45] And people's faces are just like, gobsmacked putting pieces
[34:50] of this puzzle together. Because now a pattern has been
[34:53] revealed. They're realizing that all of
[34:56] the girls that Dmitri dates end up in the porn industry.
[35:00] It's interesting, isn't it? And then they actually bring out
[35:04] Margarita herself. And you would think that it
[35:07] would be all like drama and catfighting, but it's honestly
[35:10] just a really tough watch. Margarita is very emotional,
[35:15] very sensitive. She is shaking from the very
[35:17] start. She talks very quietly, very
[35:19] nervously. She keeps trying not to cry
[35:22] throughout this whole episode. Compared to Anna who is scoffing
[35:27] and back chatting and giggling her way through this experience.
[35:30] You can't help but feel so sad for Margarita.
[35:34] As soon as she sits down, her and Anna start getting into it.
[35:37] Anna is accusing Margarita of being jealous and of copying
[35:41] her. She says things like you're
[35:43] wearing my clothes babe, you go where I go.
[35:46] She really is playing into this villain persona.
[35:49] But the host asks Margarita do you still love your
[35:52] ex-boyfriend? And she says no.
[35:54] And so the host asks if she's jealous of Anna and Margarita
[35:58] says not at all. He then asks if he thinks that
[36:02] Anna and Dimitri's marriage will last and she says absolutely
[36:05] not, he's just using her. Margarita believes Dmitri
[36:10] specifically targeted Anna because she is relatively well
[36:14] known in their area. She's a known tattoo artist, a
[36:17] public figure with a pre-existing audience of
[36:20] following on TikTok that he can tap into and take advantage of.
[36:24] That is why he ditched his normal wife, his normie wife for
[36:29] a girl with followers. Margarita tells everyone that
[36:32] the reason she agreed to make porn with Dmitri in the 1st
[36:35] place, like when they were together when they were married,
[36:38] was because it had been his idea and she was just agreeing so
[36:42] that he wouldn't leave her. Now, I don't know if he'd ever,
[36:46] like, specifically threatened to leave her if she didn't make
[36:50] this pawn with him or if it was more of a, you know, what's the
[36:54] word, like a subtle kind of coercion into making pawn.
[36:58] Like, he'd like, planted the idea in her head that he could
[37:02] leave her if she doesn't. And so she did it.
[37:05] I'm not entirely shocked if that is the case.
[37:07] If she was, if Margarita was only engaging in this porn
[37:11] creation because she was scared that he was going to leave her,
[37:14] that is really serious and really, really sad.
[37:16] But yeah, Margarita was very, very brave to say all of this on
[37:20] the TV. Meanwhile, Anna is keeping up
[37:23] this villain persona. She was a little a little weapon
[37:26] on this show. She's making it very clear that
[37:28] she doesn't believe Margarita. She doesn't believe what this
[37:30] woman is saying. She is just accusing Margarita
[37:33] of being bitter that Dimitri left her and now he's with Anna.
[37:37] She tells Margarita without him, you're no one.
[37:39] I can provide for myself. I can make money.
[37:42] I have a bunch of professions. She's kind of saying that, yeah,
[37:46] like she is a girl boss and Margarita was only making money
[37:49] because of Dimitri. And I'm going to be so honest.
[37:52] I know I've been saying that Anna's really playing up this
[37:55] bill and persona. This doesn't look good on Anna,
[37:59] and I think it speaks to something much deeper, much,
[38:02] much deeper that's going on. This incredibly defensive
[38:05] egotistical argumentation just reveals how insecure Anna really
[38:10] is. Sitting here arguing with her
[38:12] husbands ex-wife of five years is kind of a conscious reminder.
[38:18] It's a confrontation with the fact that she wasn't his first
[38:21] or only choice in a lover. It all stems from years and
[38:26] years of being forgotten about, years of being neglected, years
[38:30] of being made to feel like she was a last choice.
[38:34] Like that how she felt throughout her whole entire
[38:36] childhood. This situation being confronted
[38:39] with Margarita is very triggering for Anna.
[38:42] She's peacocking to maintain some sense of control over the
[38:46] situation, but it does just come off looking quite mean.
[38:50] Trauma responses can often be quite ugly in this way, and I
[38:54] think we have to just be mindful of where it's probably coming
[38:58] from on this show. Margarita gives a lot of
[39:00] interesting context into Dmitri, what kind of man he had been
[39:04] throughout their happy years, and then what kind of man he had
[39:07] been in the end when he chose to end it all with her.
[39:10] She says that one day he just came home, sounded, well,
[39:13] Yorkshire. Then he came home, packed up all
[39:15] his stuff and told her that he doesn't love her anymore.
[39:19] And the host asked Margarita, well, do you want him back?
[39:22] And she said no, I don't need a man who once raised a hand
[39:25] against me. Dimitri has been revealed as a
[39:28] physical abuser on top of the psychological abuse that we
[39:32] already know about, and the audience is just taken aback
[39:35] when Margarita says that. Everyone on the panel was
[39:38] shocked, but not Anna. Margarita even revealed that on
[39:42] the day that Dimitri left her, he strangled her.
[39:46] But before she'd even finished recounting this story, Anna
[39:50] interrupted her to say that it was in self defence that
[39:53] Margarita attacked him first and so Dimitri was justified in
[39:58] strangling her. I suggest.
[40:03] So the host turns to Anna's mom in this moment when she'd
[40:22] interrupted that to defend this man, The host turned to Anna's
[40:33] mom and said, like, does this not scare you that your daughter
[40:37] is married to this man and she is defending this man and Anna's
[40:42] mom? Basically laughs it off.
[40:44] She says, well this isn't the Dmitri I know.
[40:47] Anna's mother said that the Dmitri she knows, the Dmitri
[40:50] that she has seen first hand, has always been quite shy and
[40:54] timid. Honestly.
[40:56] She said that she was frankly quite confused and in disbelief
[40:59] of Margarita's stories about him.
[41:01] She thought that Margarita had gotten up there and lied about
[41:04] Dimitri. It's just Anna's mother, her own
[41:33] mother didn't think that Dimitri was capable of that kind of
[41:37] abuse, which is a very scary concept.
[41:40] You know that you're hearing it first hand from a previous
[41:43] victim. And you know, sometimes people
[41:46] do lie about things like that. And I get that you have to use
[41:49] your discernment, but when your daughter is married to a man
[41:53] that is being accused of things of that caliber, of strangling
[41:57] Margarita, I would not be defending that man.
[42:00] I would be honestly terrified. I would be taking my daughter to
[42:04] counselling and, you know, really getting to the bottom of
[42:07] it. I think it's so upsetting that
[42:10] she's sitting there, that everyone is sitting there
[42:12] essentially invalidating Margarita and the account that
[42:16] she is giving in essence, to save Anna from this man that had
[42:21] done all these awful things to her.
[42:23] Yet she's being ridiculed. And just when you think that
[42:26] this can't escalate any further outcomes, the diabolical man of
[42:31] the hour, Dimitri, he walks onto the onto the set.
[42:35] And for a start, he is just not what you would expect.
[42:38] Obviously I'd seen pictures of him before as we were
[42:41] researching for this, but it was his energy that really got me.
[42:44] It's the way that he carries himself.
[42:46] He just comes across so awkward and meek, honestly, like a
[42:52] loser. He looks and acts like a loser
[42:54] after having watched these two girls arguing over him the way
[42:58] that they were as an audience. When he walks out, you're like,
[43:02] is that it? Is that him?
[43:05] Is that who we're? Arguing about girls really.
[43:07] But anyway, Dimitri comes out, he goes and sits next to Anna
[43:10] and the host asks him why did he leave Margarita for Anna and
[43:15] immediately Dimitri is so cruel. He says well look at them both,
[43:19] don't you see the difference? Rich as fuck coming from someone
[43:24] who quite frankly looks like they negotiated their way onto
[43:27] this planet for the audio only listeners.
[43:30] Margarita is a very pretty girl. He is just being mean and bitter
[43:34] for the sake of it. She has this long WAVY hair, she
[43:37] clearly takes care of her appearance.
[43:40] And I'm going to be so honest, both of these girls are so
[43:44] obviously out of Dimitri's league.
[43:46] The fact that he even dares to compare them in that way is
[43:50] sickening. Dimitri harps on about how
[43:52] Margarita is hysterical, which is of course the go to word
[43:57] throughout history to describe a woman who is acting out AKA
[44:01] expressing her emotions and she's hysterical.
[44:04] Like is she really hysterical or did you just abuse her
[44:07] physically and psychologically? Did you force her into porn?
[44:10] Did you you cheat on her, gaslight her and now is she
[44:13] expressing all of that agony? Is that what it is?
[44:16] I think that's what it is. The panel try and get through to
[44:19] Anna and say that like if he beat his last girlfriend then
[44:24] what's what's stopping him doing that to you 2 They're saying
[44:28] look how badly he is talking about Margarita on national TV.
[44:32] So what's to say that he will not do the same thing to Anna in
[44:35] a couple of years time? But it's clear that Anna sees
[44:40] Dimitri as a hero in her life. There was a segment in the
[44:44] program where she's showing off all of the expensive gifts that
[44:47] he bought her. There were fur coats and makeup
[44:50] and obviously the car, the art equipment.
[44:53] But Anna can't see that all of these gifts that Dimitri is
[44:58] buying her are essentially bought by herself because it's
[45:01] all through her work. At best, he is an assistant.
[45:06] He books in her tattoo appointments, helps her
[45:08] schedule, her influencer content, Not to mention that she
[45:12] is the focal point of the pawn that they create.
[45:16] Practically all of this money should be Annas, but Anna is so
[45:20] convinced that she needs Dmitri to survive and to thrive, and he
[45:25] keeps her believing this because then she'll do whatever he asks
[45:29] of her. One of Anna's friends is then
[45:31] brought out onto the stage to give her input on all of this,
[45:34] and she says, no matter how much I love her, I still believe he
[45:38] pressured her into doing sex work.
[45:40] I don't think she'd have started on her own.
[45:42] I think she only got interested in it because she knew that he'd
[45:45] been filming with his ex before. So the host asked her friend, do
[45:49] you think Dimitri will leave Anna if she at some point
[45:53] refuses to be in the videos anymore and the friend says
[45:56] yeah, I think he might try to find a replacement.
[45:58] The show eventually concludes with all of them trying to tell
[46:02] Anna to stop seeing her relationship with Dimitri
[46:06] through rose tinted glasses. She needs to understand that
[46:09] Dimitri might leave her the same way that he left Margarita,
[46:13] violence and all, but Anna just thinks it's impossible.
[46:16] She thinks that he would never do that to her.
[46:18] Anna does, however, show a softer side.
[46:20] Towards the end of this episode, they start focusing in on on her
[46:24] mother and how her mother is so devastated.
[46:27] And with her porn career specifically, Anna has brought
[46:30] shame on the family. And I'm going to be so real with
[46:34] you all. I have very minimal sympathy for
[46:36] this because Mama is at this point, I think she was like 23.
[46:40] She's a fully grown adult woman with her own agency.
[46:44] But she does soften a little bit on her mom.
[46:46] And she really reflects on how this has been making her mom
[46:49] feel. And she says that she would
[46:51] consider stopping if that's what her mom wanted because, quote,
[46:56] my relationship with my mom is more important to me.
[46:59] And even Dimitri like agrees with this angle.
[47:02] He said it would be fine if Anna wanted to quit doing the pawn.
[47:07] But three months after Dimitri said that everything would be
[47:09] fine, Anna would go missing. So when we last left Anna around
[49:05] April time filming the show, life seemed great, or at least
[49:09] she insisted that it was that Dmitri loved her, he cared for
[49:13] her. They were making a shit ton of
[49:15] money together, actually. There had since been trouble in
[49:19] paradise. Things had taken a dua leap of
[49:21] full 180. Dimitri had quit all of his own
[49:25] work at at this point, because he was doing like the odd IT
[49:28] job, wasn't he? Especially when he was with
[49:30] Margarita. But now he'd quit all of that,
[49:33] and he was relying solely on Anna's income.
[49:36] As a result. The two of them had been arguing
[49:38] a lot, like it was causing a lot of trouble for them, and Anna
[49:43] had told her mum that she was actually debating leaving
[49:47] Dmitri. Not even just leaving Dmitri,
[49:49] leaving Russia entirely. In less than two months, Anna
[49:54] had gone from defending him and their relationship so vehemently
[49:58] on national TV to planning her escape from him.
[50:02] She had begun selling her things, saving up money, and her
[50:06] plan was actually to move to South Korea.
[50:08] I think she fancied like a whole new fresh start, a new chapter.
[50:12] She loved Asian culture. She had a few friends out in
[50:15] Korea. She had big, big plans to open
[50:18] up her own tattoo studio out there.
[50:20] She could really see herself thriving.
[50:23] But that was only half of the reason that Anna was planning to
[50:26] leave. It seems that Anna had met
[50:29] someone new. A hot new bombshell had turned
[50:32] her head allegedly. Allegedly he was another Tik
[50:36] toker called Kirill and the streets are saying that the two
[50:40] of them had grown very close. And now I don't want to make any
[50:43] direct claims, but if the streets were sweets, if the
[50:46] streets were right and Anna was seeing Kirill this Tik toker,
[50:51] then it would have overlapped with her marriage to Dimitri for
[50:54] sure. Apparently Anna had confided in
[50:57] Carol because I mean, they were definitely friends.
[51:00] They were definitely close friends.
[51:01] It's just the the vagueness about like the nature of that
[51:05] relationship. Like were they fucking?
[51:07] I don't know. I actually don't know.
[51:08] But they were very close friends.
[51:10] And she had confided in Carol about her issues with Dimitri,
[51:15] about how he was draining her and refusing to work, refusing
[51:19] to get his own job, only leeching off her.
[51:21] She was building up a lot of resentment towards this man, had
[51:25] grown to hear him, and she couldn't wait to completely cut
[51:29] the ties between them when she moved to South Korea.
[51:32] By the last week of July, Dimitri had moved out of Anna's
[51:36] apartment and the two of them had completely broken up.
[51:40] Now, frustratingly, we couldn't find much information on this
[51:43] breakup at all. Like, how it went, how Dimitri
[51:47] reacted in the immediate aftermath, I don't know.
[51:49] But what we do know is that Anna was full steam ahead with her
[51:53] plan to leave him in the dust. She had started the process of
[51:56] selling all of her cars, and once they were gone, she would
[51:59] divorce him, and then she was free, and then she could go to
[52:01] South Korea. Now, I don't think Dimitri knew
[52:05] of her plans to go to Korea. Obviously at this point they'd
[52:09] broken up, he'd moved out. But maybe there was a lingering
[52:11] thought in his mind that he could get her back, that he
[52:13] could win her over again. After all, they were married
[52:16] now, so maybe this was just like a bit of a blip that they could
[52:19] come back from. But Anna didn't see it that way
[52:22] at all. On July 31st, she met up with
[52:25] Carol this tick tocker for a few hours and they had a great time.
[52:29] Or at least Carol thought they did.
[52:31] But later that night when they parted ways, she suddenly dumped
[52:35] him over text. She said that she didn't want to
[52:37] see him anymore. They were over, she was done
[52:39] with him. And he found it so weird.
[52:41] It was so unexpected. Like I say, they had gotten on
[52:44] so well that night. There was no signs whatsoever.
[52:48] She wanted to cut this connection.
[52:49] He thought they liked each other.
[52:51] He. Thought that they were getting
[52:52] on really well. It was just weird because it
[52:53] didn't seem like Anna. It didn't seem like the Anna
[52:56] that he had literally just met up with an hour previous.
[52:59] The next week, Kirill watched Anna's social media continue as
[53:02] normal. She was posting her selfies,
[53:04] promoting her courses, selling all of her clothes before she
[53:08] moved away. He didn't think much of it.
[53:10] Meanwhile, Anna's mom and friends were sensing a bit of a
[53:14] change in her. They were still here hearing
[53:17] from her, but it was starting to feel weird as the days went by.
[53:21] It just didn't sound like Anna. She wasn't taking any new videos
[53:25] or pictures of herself. Everything that she was posting
[53:27] on social seemed like pre done. The content was pre made.
[53:32] She wasn't streaming live, she wasn't even answering phone
[53:36] calls. The only communication that she
[53:38] was having with people was over like written text message.
[53:42] So was Anna even really there? Suspicion was counting, but the
[53:47] truth of the situation would remain hidden for six more days.
[53:52] Three days into this weirdness, Dimitri met up with some
[53:55] friends, one of which was a mutual friend that he shared
[53:58] with Anna. We're going to call her Lila.
[54:00] I'm going to be so real. The reason we're giving her
[54:02] another name is because she was also called Anna.
[54:05] And I think it just gets a little bit confusing.
[54:06] So Lila is at this hangout and Dimitri shows up and he starts
[54:10] sharing some very personal secrets with the group.
[54:14] He was saying that at the start of his relationship with Anna,
[54:17] she said to him that if she ever gets so unbearably miserable
[54:22] because bear in mind she had had depression all her life, which
[54:25] is so devastating, like from a child.
[54:28] She had always been so sorrowful.
[54:31] And so Dmitri was saying that Anna had said to him when they
[54:35] first got together, if I ever get so depressed that I want to
[54:38] die, would he promise to murder her and put her out of her
[54:44] misery when she least expected it?
[54:47] Something of a twisted suicide pact, or more like an assisted
[54:51] suicide pact that he says that they had genuinely agreed to.
[54:56] He lives, she dies, everyone's happy, supposedly.
[55:01] Now, like I said, it was no secret that Anna struggled with
[55:04] her depression. Her entire friend group knew
[55:06] this, so it wasn't that crazy, but this kind of deal for
[55:12] Dimitri to be so honest, so open and say like this was a an
[55:16] agreed deal that really shocked Lila specifically.
[55:21] She, she just didn't quite believe that Anna would actually
[55:25] get to that point of asking someone to murder her when she's
[55:29] least expecting it. Anyway, Dimitri keeps talking.
[55:32] And as he does, he said that Anna had recently been asking,
[55:37] begging him to murder her for ages until a few days ago, when
[55:43] he finally gave in. So Lila's, like, what do you
[55:47] mean? Are you saying that you killed
[55:49] Anna? And he says, yeah, I stabbed her
[55:53] to death. She is in the bathtub as we
[55:56] speak. So Lila freaks the fuck out, as
[55:59] I think anyone would. And Dimitri's telling her, yo,
[56:02] chill out, I'm dealing with it. He told her don't contact the
[56:05] police, you don't need to because I'm either going to turn
[56:08] myself in or I'm going to kill myself like I'm going to.
[56:11] I'm going to solve this one way or another.
[56:13] Not that that solves anything. Lila is in shock to say the
[56:18] least. Not only is she finding out that
[56:20] one of her friends is dead. This is the first.
[56:23] Mention of Anna being dead in a week, but she's finding out that
[56:28] another one of her friends is revealed to be the murderer.
[56:31] So Lila is sitting there trying to make sense of this whole
[56:35] thing. Like is this actually assisted
[56:37] suicide as he says? Was it consensual or was this
[56:43] murder? Was this cold blooded against
[56:47] Anna's will? Was she killed by this man and
[56:51] did she have any idea that it was actually going to happen?
[56:54] A week passes and Dimitri is not only still alive, but he is
[56:58] still walking free. He has not handed himself in
[57:01] like he said he would. Instead, he's trying to hatch an
[57:05] escape plan. More and more of Anna's things
[57:07] were appearing for sale online, and Dimitri had actually applied
[57:11] for an extension on the lease of Anna's apartment where they live
[57:16] together. So he's not handing himself in.
[57:19] In fact, I don't really know what he is doing because his
[57:21] plan looks so messy. He's selling all of her things,
[57:24] yet he's applying for an extension on the lease to to,
[57:29] but that's only keeping his ties to Anna.
[57:31] If he had actually murdered her, why?
[57:35] What's he doing? What is he doing?
[57:36] But basically, Lila is seeing all of this and she knows that
[57:39] she needs to do something now. In fact, she knew that she
[57:42] needed to do something in the 1st place, but I assume a
[57:45] mixture of fear and sheer disbelief stopped her from
[57:49] actually doing anything. So on the 9th of August, Lila
[57:53] calls the police and she tells them about Dimitri's profession.
[57:57] She begged them to go and meet her to to meet Lila at Anna's
[58:01] apartment so that they could investigate without Dimitri.
[58:04] So the police come down to the apartment and once they've
[58:07] broken down the door, they realized that not a single
[58:11] living soul was inside that house.
[58:14] Dimitri had disappeared, and a crime scene was left in his
[58:18] work, just as he had described. Anna's corpse was laying in the
[58:24] bathtub. She had been there for at least
[58:26] a week, decomposing. She'd been stabbed 13 times.
[58:31] She was only 26 years old and on the brink of starting an entire
[58:35] new chapter in her life. But someone, almost definitely
[58:39] Dmitri, had taken that away from her.
[58:43] Dmitri was the prime suspect. A manhunt was launched and he
[58:46] was actually found within 24 hours and arrested.
[58:49] He really hadn't gone far. He was hiding out at a motel
[58:52] about 30 minutes away. So Dmitri is arrested and
[58:55] brought back to the police station as the awful news is
[59:00] being broken to Anna's friends and family.
[59:02] Not only is Anna dead, but but that horrendous gut feeling that
[59:07] they had had all week was confirmed.
[59:10] Anna had been acting weird online and through messages.
[59:13] Because it wasn't Anna at all. All those messages sent, the
[59:18] sales made, the content uploaded, her new situation
[59:22] ship, Carol getting dumped. It had all been Dimitri on the
[59:27] other end of the phone, pretending to be the woman that
[59:30] he had just murdered the entire time.
[59:33] So what happened to Anna? Of course, police managed to
[59:37] piece together a story of the night that she died based on
[59:40] forensics and evidence. So July 31st, the night that
[59:45] Anna went and met up with that TikTok boy Kirill, everything
[59:49] had been great. But later that same night,
[59:52] Dimitri had gone to Anna's flat, and we don't really know what
[59:57] led to this, whether she invited him in or if he forced his way
[1:00:01] in. But either way, when Dmitri
[1:00:03] stepped inside her apartment, he would have realized that Anna
[1:00:08] was packing up all of her things and moving.
[1:00:11] Her stuff was everywhere. There were boxes, suitcases,
[1:00:13] clothes piled up, waiting to be sold.
[1:00:16] Anna was serious about leaving Russia, and it was happening
[1:00:21] soon. Like quicker than he could have
[1:00:23] conceptualized. And remember, once Anna leaves
[1:00:27] Russia, that's it. Dmitri can't follow her.
[1:00:30] He's not allowed to leave the country.
[1:00:33] And during that evening, it's very possible that he found out
[1:00:37] not only about her plan to move to South Korea, but he may have
[1:00:40] also learnt about her situation ship with Kirill.
[1:00:45] When Dmitri was questioned by the police, he recounted the
[1:00:48] events of that night and it sounds like a jealous rage, like
[1:00:54] a hysterical man losing his control over this woman.
[1:00:59] He told the police that he and Anna got into a fight that
[1:01:02] evening. He had lost his temper and
[1:01:04] completely lost his mind. He said that he stabbed her with
[1:01:08] a knife, he panicked, and then he fled.
[1:01:12] Dimitri would actually only tell police this story once.
[1:01:16] And then very quickly, basically that same day.
[1:01:19] He changed his story, he reverted back to the story that
[1:01:22] he told Lila and their group of friends about this like assisted
[1:01:26] suicide pact, that Anna had been begging for him to murder her
[1:01:31] when she least expect it. We actually have quotes from a
[1:01:34] series of Instagram stories that Dimitri's friend posted saying
[1:01:39] yes, he killed her and he admitted it.
[1:01:41] But understand it's more complicated than just that.
[1:01:44] There was no fight or schizophrenic outburst.
[1:01:48] It happened because Anna wanted him to kill her.
[1:01:51] I know it's hard to believe, but she hated her life.
[1:01:54] She was miserable and couldn't bear it any longer, but she
[1:01:58] couldn't do it herself. She'd asked a lot of friends to
[1:02:00] kill her in the past, and after she'd asked Dmitri 3 times, he
[1:02:04] finally agreed. It's terrible and disgusting and
[1:02:07] I can't get over it. I'm shaking because Dmitri is
[1:02:10] actually a good person, but this was both of their choices.
[1:02:14] Everything that happens next you will find out on the news.
[1:02:17] Please don't judge, it shouldn't have happened this way.
[1:02:21] I wish I could go back to before but nothing can be fixed here.
[1:02:25] Please stop posting nonsense about this case.
[1:02:28] And that is from Dimitri's friend of course.
[1:02:32] Anna's murder. This case was a top news story
[1:02:37] after all, she had like 300K followers watching her.
[1:02:41] Her disappearance was never going to happen quietly nor the
[1:02:44] news of her death. People were going to talk.
[1:02:46] People had already had questions.
[1:02:49] Dmitri was begging Russian authorities to keep him hidden
[1:02:53] and out of the press. But what was the point?
[1:02:56] Everyone knew who he was. Everyone had seen him both in
[1:02:59] and out of clothes. So I don't know why he was
[1:03:02] getting all. Privacy is paramount at this
[1:03:04] point. Sounds like the moves of a
[1:03:06] hysterical man to me, just using that word hysterical that he
[1:03:09] liked to use about women. It's his turn to be hysterical.
[1:03:14] So Dimitri's trial was set for the upcoming January of 2023.
[1:03:19] In the meantime, he was taken back to the scene of the crime
[1:03:22] to re enact for the police what he alleged happened that night.
[1:03:27] Now there's videos of this online of him being taken to
[1:03:32] Anna's bedroom. He's shackled up, he's in his
[1:03:34] handcuffs and he is holding a dummy body and stabbing it.
[1:03:40] And it's a really tough watch because in reality, that wasn't
[1:03:44] a dummy, that was Anna, that was a real woman bleeding on the
[1:03:48] bed. On January the 22nd, 2023,
[1:03:51] Dimitri pled guilty to Anna's murder, admitting that after he
[1:03:55] stabbed her, she died in his lap and then he carried her into the
[1:04:00] bathroom and placed her body in the tub.
[1:04:03] He was then buying time to dispose of her body by replying
[1:04:08] to people using her phone on her accounts, pretending that she
[1:04:13] was still alive. Which is one of the sickest
[1:04:17] parts of this whole thing to me. Just to think of like her
[1:04:21] friends and family messaging who they think is Anna, the whole
[1:04:26] time they have no idea that she is dead in a bathtub and it's
[1:04:31] her murderer that is talking to them.
[1:04:34] In the sentencing, the judge said that Dimitri attacked Anna
[1:04:38] out of jealousy. Whether it was over discovering
[1:04:41] her relationship with Carol or her plans to move abroad or just
[1:04:45] being cut off from her financially, they've been split
[1:04:48] up for four months. It's not known exactly what
[1:04:51] sparked this jealous rage, but those would be the obvious
[1:04:55] contenders. Dimitri was sentenced to only
[1:04:58] eight years in a maximum security prison for this.
[1:05:01] Now, obviously, eight years for murder is quite frankly a
[1:05:06] fucking joke, but I will say that the prison that Dimitri was
[1:05:10] sent to is known and as the torture chamber.
[1:05:14] He was sent to the IK 3 penal colony in Siberia, Russia, which
[1:05:18] is nicknamed Paula Wolf because of how cold and dark it is.
[1:05:22] It's basically dark all day. Temperatures reach -20°.
[1:05:28] Inmates are reportedly made to stand outside for hours while
[1:05:32] they're pelted with water hoses, dressed in barely anything in
[1:05:36] -20° this prison is. It's fucking brutal man.
[1:05:40] It's known for beating and suffocating prisoners,
[1:05:44] humiliation tactics, tear gassing so many prisoners.
[1:05:49] Inmates have committed suicide just to escape that prison.
[1:05:53] So maybe it is only an 8 year sentence but it is 8 years of
[1:05:59] pure hell and none of it brings Anna back.
[1:06:02] Anna's funeral was privately held, but her mum allowed camera
[1:06:07] crews to come in and film and take pictures of the whole thing
[1:06:12] for a fee she was paid to to let people get coverage of her
[1:06:18] daughter's funeral. Now this didn't go down well.
[1:06:21] A lot of people thought that it was weird, it was exploitative
[1:06:24] to make money off of your daughter's funeral.
[1:06:27] Kind of like pay-per-view vibes. Anna's entire family attended
[1:06:32] the funeral, even her estranged father.
[1:06:35] Apparently, her grandma wouldn't speak to her mum and stayed on
[1:06:39] opposite sides of the funeral hall to her.
[1:06:42] They didn't interact at all, which might lead us to believe
[1:06:45] that her grandma didn't agree with the camera crews being in
[1:06:49] attendance at the funeral either.
[1:06:52] But the coverage of Anna's life and death, however, didn't end
[1:06:57] there. Remember the TV talk show that
[1:06:59] Anna went on with her mum and Dimitri and Margarita?
[1:07:02] Well they made a Part 2 after Annas murder and this Part 2
[1:07:08] involved Lila, the friend who called the police, the one that
[1:07:12] Dimitri confessed to. She went on that same talk show
[1:07:16] along with Annas mom and a few others once again, and this is
[1:07:19] where I want to remind you again that everyone was paid for being
[1:07:23] on this show. Annas mom is sitting there
[1:07:25] wearing all black. She's crying and she is
[1:07:28] recalling the moments that she realized that the text that she
[1:07:32] was receiving, the person that she was conversing with on the
[1:07:35] phone was not Anna. It was actually Dimitri.
[1:07:38] She doesn't say any particular moment led to her realizing it
[1:07:42] was just this gut feeling. And it crushed her when the
[1:07:46] police confirmed it. And then the show brings out
[1:07:50] Lila. It's clear that she is very
[1:07:53] deeply affected by this whole ordeal.
[1:07:55] And she'd been under a lot of scrutiny as well as to why she
[1:08:00] had waited so long to call the police because, yeah, it did
[1:08:03] take her a whole week. But in this interview, Lila
[1:08:06] reveals new information to viewers about the day of Anna's
[1:08:11] murder. She tells the host that
[1:08:13] according to Dimitri, Anna's final words as she woke up and
[1:08:17] found him stabbing her. Where I love you, kiss me, call
[1:08:21] an ambulance. And that in itself negates
[1:08:25] Dmitry's defense that her death was an assisted suicide.
[1:08:28] If she genuinely wanted to die, why would she ask for an
[1:08:32] ambulance to save her? And if she did change her mind
[1:08:34] once it was too late or a little too late, you know, the view
[1:08:38] from halfway down and all that. Many people that initiate
[1:08:41] suicide plans regret it once it's already too far in to go
[1:08:45] back. And if that was the case, and I
[1:08:48] don't believe it was because I don't believe this whole
[1:08:50] assisted suicide thing anyway, but even if that was the case,
[1:08:53] she woke up, he's stabbing her, she says call an ambulance.
[1:08:57] Why wouldn't he? Why wouldn't he call an
[1:08:59] ambulance to try and save his wife who seemingly no longer
[1:09:02] wants to die? That to me is the real kicker.
[1:09:06] Like I say, I don't believe his story, this assisted suicide
[1:09:09] pact situation anyway. But even if I did, that would be
[1:09:13] where he lost me on this. Many people don't believe those
[1:09:17] words ever came out of Anna's mouth at all, including Lila,
[1:09:21] because the majority of Anna's stab wounds were actually to her
[1:09:24] throat. So would she have even been able
[1:09:27] to talk? Lila also talks about the extent
[1:09:30] that Dimitri went to to cover his tracks.
[1:09:32] She told the host how he had sealed off.
[1:09:35] All of the. Pipes and the vents in Anna's
[1:09:37] flat with duct tape so that the smell of her decomposing body
[1:09:43] didn't alert the neighbors. How vile that he expected to
[1:09:48] keep her rotting corpse there for, well, the foreseeable
[1:09:52] future. Remember, he'd applied for an
[1:09:54] extension on her apartment lease as well.
[1:09:58] Maybe he had no plans to remove the body at all.
[1:10:00] Lila said that when she stepped into the flat, it smelt very
[1:10:04] heavily of Anna's perfume, seemingly because Dmitri had
[1:10:07] been spraying it everywhere, emptying out the whole damn
[1:10:10] bottle into the apartment in a desperate attempt to cover up
[1:10:14] the smell of decay. In the work of Anna's death,
[1:10:17] pictures of her porn channels were leaked and the screenshots
[1:10:21] even appeared in news articles, which is so sickening to think
[1:10:25] that journalists contributed to spreading her private content in
[1:10:29] 2022 as well. The comment sections of these
[1:10:32] articles still to this day remain really mixed.
[1:10:36] Some people praying for her soul to find peace, but others
[1:10:41] confused as to why a porn stars murder is even newsworthy, which
[1:10:46] just breaks my heart. How you can take away someone's
[1:10:50] humanity like that is just beyond me.
[1:10:53] How can you strip them of any worth in their death simply
[1:10:57] because of their job? Since her death, although all of
[1:11:01] Anna's personal social media pages have been deactivated,
[1:11:05] there are fan pages on social media that are still active
[1:11:08] today posting content in Anna's memory.
[1:11:12] Anna was a beautiful, bold 26 year old woman.
[1:11:16] She was so vivid. She was so open, so full of
[1:11:19] creativity. Like I said earlier, she didn't
[1:11:22] just do art, she was art. She was a walking masterpiece.
[1:11:26] And I love that those fan pages are remembering her for being
[1:11:30] exactly that. Thank you so much for tuning
