[0:00] Speaker 1: And what I'll be watching. Boy, Kevin, we are here
[0:03] Speaker 1: the Bob Brothers review. We're starting a new thing. If
[0:08] Speaker 1: a movie's out and popping, we're gonna talk about it.
[0:12] Speaker 1: How popping doesn't need to be Do you want to
[0:13] Speaker 1: just try and find something that released new and talk
[0:16] Speaker 1: about every week or you're just.
[0:18] Speaker 2: Like, here's here's what I've noticed doing movie reviews all
[0:21] Speaker 2: this time.
[0:22] Speaker 3: Okay, tell me what you notice.
[0:24] Speaker 2: For me, the bigger, the bigger movies do better, and
[0:29] Speaker 2: the blacker movies do better.
[0:31] Speaker 3: Okay, So it's like a.
[0:32] Speaker 2: Small film that doesn't have like a strong black presence,
[0:36] Speaker 2: my numbers on that review might just be mid to low.
[0:39] Speaker 2: But if it's a movie that, like, like say, for instance,
[0:43] Speaker 2: Centers did crazy on my page in the movie review section,
[0:47] Speaker 2: then you know, if I do it, that went crazy.
[0:49] Speaker 2: So if it's a super popular movie, those are gonna
[0:52] Speaker 2: do well because a lot of different people are gonna
[0:54] Speaker 2: come to it. If it's a hype movie, they're gonna
[0:57] Speaker 2: because they just gonna show up on the on the
[0:59] Speaker 2: stript of the movie.
[1:00] Speaker 4: But no matter who who is Spider Man review?
[1:03] Speaker 3: For sure?
[1:04] Speaker 2: Who's this guy? I don't care?
[1:05] Speaker 3: So let me ask you that I look for stuff
[1:07] Speaker 3: me too.
[1:07] Speaker 2: Review. I don't care who's sitting there with the toys
[1:09] Speaker 2: in the background. Let me see what they got to
[1:12] Speaker 2: say about it.
[1:13] Speaker 1: Right, So on the off weeks, So it's fifty two
[1:16] Speaker 1: weeks a year, you're not gonna have fifty two weeks
[1:18] Speaker 1: release every week. No, it might be twenty five thirty.
[1:20] Speaker 1: It might be trashed this weekend.
[1:22] Speaker 3: And it probably is. I was looking at Clearing the
[1:24] Speaker 3: Way Spider Man. Yeah, they probably give you two three
[1:26] Speaker 3: weeks a runway.
[1:27] Speaker 4: The movie studio would be like, let's get the hell
[1:29] Speaker 4: out of the way.
[1:30] Speaker 1: So let me ask you this off weeks, do you
[1:32] Speaker 1: want to talk movie news? We could have, for for instance,
[1:36] Speaker 1: ja'afar if if if we didn't have Spider Man this week,
[1:39] Speaker 1: you got you got Myharschelan's comments on Blade, You got
[1:44] Speaker 1: that trailer, your mother, your mother, your mother, we can
[1:46] Speaker 1: talk about that. You got Will Smith and Jafar Jackson.
[1:49] Speaker 1: Got a new movie coming out? Do you think that'll
[1:51] Speaker 1: do better than just some offhand movie or something old.
[1:56] Speaker 2: I feel like I feel like we can blend it too.
[1:59] Speaker 2: If a movie comes out that we both want to see, Okay,
[2:02] Speaker 2: it might be smaller we can just blend the too.
[2:04] Speaker 3: Okay, what about this, I'm with that. I like that idea.
[2:08] Speaker 3: Movies on streaming Netflix, Hulu, Amazon streaming.
[2:12] Speaker 2: Movies do well too, Like okay, if it's a, if
[2:14] Speaker 2: it's a any time I go in on the Tyler
[2:17] Speaker 2: Perry movie. Yeah, the numbers do well.
[2:19] Speaker 1: Okay, So what about like Stung Sting Chloy Bailey's new
[2:24] Speaker 1: movie on Peacock. I haven't seen it.
[2:25] Speaker 2: I haven't seen it.
[2:26] Speaker 1: We could do things like that, all right, people in
[2:29] Speaker 1: the chat, y'all gonna be watching Patreon and the like.
[2:32] Speaker 1: Y'all can also just suggest stuffcause obviously Spider Man's easy money, honestly.
[2:38] Speaker 1: All right, cool stun all right, let's talk strong.
[2:42] Speaker 3: Oh yes.
[2:43] Speaker 1: Also, the Bald Brothers review is heavy spoilers. This is
[2:47] Speaker 1: a spoiler field review. I'm glad somebody asked that this
[2:50] Speaker 1: is spoilers. Were talking about everything. If you have to
[2:53] Speaker 1: have the movie Spider Man, get the hell up, hel
[2:55] Speaker 1: Up out of here, no disrespect, we understand. I'm glad
[2:58] Speaker 1: you asked because I want to remind you, so you know,
[3:00] Speaker 1: we talking about the film in its entirety. Yeah, we're
[3:04] Speaker 1: spoiling it. It's big spoil big spoils. It's easier to cover.
[3:07] Speaker 2: Spoilers and plunders man spoilers, and gotta deal with respect.
[3:11] Speaker 3: Respect the dip. Just come back when you're.
[3:14] Speaker 4: Seeing it, Yeah, come back and chime in a lot
[3:16] Speaker 4: of people leaving.
[3:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, I get it, get it you've been wanting because
[3:20] Speaker 1: I barely got a chance to see it.
[3:21] Speaker 3: I had to see it last night. How to give
[3:23] Speaker 3: me a little cup of coffee?
[3:24] Speaker 2: Yeah, you fraid you were sleeping?
[3:25] Speaker 3: I was sleeping because that travel man Atlanta to la
[3:28] Speaker 3: is tough. All right, let's dig in.
[3:30] Speaker 1: How shall we approach the movie box office nerd time.
[3:33] Speaker 4: I'm coming in hide with the box.
[3:34] Speaker 2: Office nerd good nerd stuff. So Spider Man Brand New Day.
[3:39] Speaker 2: I've been seeing conflicting budgets here. I saw one poster
[3:42] Speaker 2: said it was two seventy five. But the more consistent
[3:45] Speaker 2: total i've seen its two twenty five. That's the budget
[3:48] Speaker 2: for the film, this movie. Over the weekend, it's set
[3:53] Speaker 2: a record for the highest opening weekend domestically of all
[3:57] Speaker 2: time at three sixty It beat In Game. Endgame had
[4:01] Speaker 2: three fifty seven point one. Spider Man Brand New Day
[4:04] Speaker 2: beat it by a few million, three hundred and sixty
[4:07] Speaker 2: million opening weekend. Now, a lot of people gonna nitpick
[4:10] Speaker 2: with the in game came as some years ago, adjust
[4:13] Speaker 2: for inflation.
[4:14] Speaker 4: We're not doing that every time.
[4:15] Speaker 3: We're not doing that.
[4:17] Speaker 2: We'll be digging, We'll going with the win. We're not
[4:18] Speaker 2: doing that every time. If you want to, if you
[4:20] Speaker 2: want an adjusted list, I can give you a separate
[4:23] Speaker 2: adjusted list, which is a list I'm gonna do coming
[4:25] Speaker 2: up about what movies sold the most tickets of all time.
[4:29] Speaker 3: And that's how you know what it is. I know
[4:31] Speaker 3: who pulled up the most.
[4:32] Speaker 2: So spider Man gross over nine hundred million dollars opening
[4:38] Speaker 2: weekend worldwide, good nine six now today, on today spider
[4:46] Speaker 2: Man brand new day is already one point zero five
[4:51] Speaker 2: two billion dollars is the box office and it's only
[4:53] Speaker 2: been out six days.
[4:55] Speaker 1: A billion dollars before a counter week happened.
[4:58] Speaker 2: Yes, already a billion dollar grossing movie.
[5:03] Speaker 1: Like Tom That's like, come on, man, what are we
[5:07] Speaker 1: talking about? Already a billion dollars by Tuesday?
[5:14] Speaker 3: Wow? What do you think it is about? Spider Man?
[5:18] Speaker 1: Because I knew it would do well, I did not
[5:20] Speaker 1: expect it to be the highest grossing domestic box office
[5:24] Speaker 1: because History.
[5:24] Speaker 2: Man, Like I know, I avoided all the trailers, I
[5:27] Speaker 2: avoided all visuals of Spider Man. The only thing I
[5:30] Speaker 2: saw was like billboard posters.
[5:32] Speaker 1: Was just like, I didn't see nothing but the black
[5:34] Speaker 1: eyes and his face beat up.
[5:35] Speaker 2: I was. I didn't even see the black eyes until later.
[5:37] Speaker 2: I just saw him with the hand, the hand ninjas.
[5:40] Speaker 2: I just saw that.
[5:41] Speaker 3: I didn't see that man.
[5:42] Speaker 2: But because I wanted to come in just completely fresh
[5:47] Speaker 2: and the buzz seemed low.
[5:51] Speaker 3: That's what I did.
[5:52] Speaker 2: I was talking about the Odyssey, the Odyssey's Odyssey, and
[5:55] Speaker 2: it was like I knew. I knew Tom Hollands and
[5:58] Speaker 2: David were doing the press run for Man, so I
[6:00] Speaker 2: would see him her and uh uh yeah, so I
[6:04] Speaker 2: would see them doing that, you know, but I see
[6:06] Speaker 2: that all the time, and so I was just like,
[6:07] Speaker 2: all right, it's gonna do well. And they were given
[6:10] Speaker 2: the tracking numbers, but the tracking kept increasing as.
[6:13] Speaker 3: I saw that. I saw that, and then the reviews.
[6:16] Speaker 2: Came out and I was like, Spider Man is always
[6:19] Speaker 2: except for maybe like two Spider Man entries.
[6:22] Speaker 1: Yes, Spider Man three, Toby and Spider Man two Andrew Garfield.
[6:26] Speaker 3: Yes, that was the only ones that.
[6:27] Speaker 1: Are like low on rocks I think are ninety yeah
[6:31] Speaker 1: and above.
[6:31] Speaker 2: And even his lowest is like fifty something percent. Yeah,
[6:34] Speaker 2: that's the spider Man two.
[6:36] Speaker 4: Amazing spider Man two is the lowest.
[6:38] Speaker 2: Yeah. So he always does pretty much ninety and above.
[6:42] Speaker 2: So the Spider Man films are well regarded, and so
[6:48] Speaker 2: Spider Man as a character, he is just eternal as
[6:52] Speaker 2: far as every kid loves spider.
[6:54] Speaker 3: Man, every kid, every kid loves spider Man.
[6:58] Speaker 2: Every kid. Because Batman might be too dark for some
[7:01] Speaker 2: and Superman might just be too unattainable or just whatever.
[7:04] Speaker 2: Spider Man feels like the closest we have to a
[7:09] Speaker 2: superhero being a real person.
[7:11] Speaker 1: I agree, he's he's he comes across as real, relatable,
[7:17] Speaker 1: and they always match the stakes to Spider Man in
[7:21] Speaker 1: the grand.
[7:22] Speaker 3: Scheme of things.
[7:22] Speaker 1: She even said that, you know, he's small potatoes. He's
[7:26] Speaker 1: your friendly neighborhood.
[7:27] Speaker 2: Spider manborhood spider Man for a reason. Man, Like, everything
[7:31] Speaker 2: don't have to be on the universal scale.
[7:33] Speaker 3: It's just right.
[7:34] Speaker 2: Hey man, I'm just in New York City. He's robber
[7:38] Speaker 2: go to Staten Island that much. I'm usually I'm usually
[7:41] Speaker 2: in Queen's Brooklyn and Manhattan, y'all.
[7:46] Speaker 3: Be one step above traffic infractions. Yes, Like I have
[7:50] Speaker 3: to pull you over, man, this is crazy, that's it.
[7:52] Speaker 2: Mann.
[7:52] Speaker 3: You parking?
[7:54] Speaker 2: What are you doing? Robbing the Hey you robbed a
[7:58] Speaker 2: little food on the machine that goes on his own.
[8:03] Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. You robbed one of the
[8:05] Speaker 2: way more cards? Hey, hey, twip you swip. And so
[8:12] Speaker 2: he's just super relatable for a lot of people. And
[8:14] Speaker 2: like you know, he's just universals you grew up with.
[8:16] Speaker 2: We all grew up with him. I was Spider Man
[8:19] Speaker 2: four halloweens in the row as a kid, the same costume.
[8:23] Speaker 2: Like I was like running back mom, I was Spider
[8:27] Speaker 2: Man four time.
[8:28] Speaker 3: Remember first you hung it back up?
[8:30] Speaker 2: Man? It was it would be like I would just
[8:32] Speaker 2: rebuy it.
[8:33] Speaker 3: Oh you bought a new one.
[8:36] Speaker 2: I'm like, I wanna be Spider Man. Yeah, yep, I'm.
[8:39] Speaker 1: Always was coming out at this time. You was doing
[8:43] Speaker 1: off the strengths all on.
[8:44] Speaker 2: TV like they have a little sheep seven seventies, early eighties.
[8:51] Speaker 3: He twip he on the wall.
[8:54] Speaker 2: I was just like, yo, he he actually crawling on
[8:57] Speaker 2: the building. This is crazy. Looks like yeah, god gos.
[9:01] Speaker 4: I was like Man, This is amazing and they just
[9:03] Speaker 4: linger on them scenes.
[9:04] Speaker 2: Yeah, like and then so you know, Spider Man has
[9:08] Speaker 2: always been there. You know, X Man is always my favorite,
[9:10] Speaker 2: but I always always enjoyed a good Spider Man.
[9:13] Speaker 1: I don't Spider Man doesn't have haters. Yeah, and I
[9:18] Speaker 1: think Tom Holland has because he's done so much as
[9:23] Speaker 1: Spider Man. He is Spider Man like he's done. That
[9:28] Speaker 1: was his fourth solo movie. And how many Marvel movies
[9:31] Speaker 1: has been in he.
[9:32] Speaker 2: Was in he was in the Civil War, he was
[9:34] Speaker 2: an End Game, and he was an Infinity War.
[9:37] Speaker 1: So that's seven times we've seen him as Spider Man.
[9:41] Speaker 1: And he was in them Marvel movies. He was you know,
[9:43] Speaker 1: he wasn't in a little bit like so I feel
[9:46] Speaker 1: like nobody had that. Well you yeah, no, no, nobody had.
[9:50] Speaker 1: Sobey has four, Toby, so he had three solo and
[9:52] Speaker 1: in the one where he was in Spider Man, but that.
[9:54] Speaker 3: Was more of a CAMI.
[9:55] Speaker 2: We've seen him four times, Andrew has three. Andrew has three.
[9:59] Speaker 4: So Tom, how he's had the most time in the suit.
[10:04] Speaker 3: And he also looks young.
[10:06] Speaker 2: He looks young. He looks young.
[10:09] Speaker 1: Spider Man's in high school. Yeah, for most of us.
[10:13] Speaker 1: We fell in love with Spider Man. Comic books are
[10:15] Speaker 1: a cartoon. He was in high school.
[10:17] Speaker 2: He's always had that young vibe. Even when he graduated
[10:19] Speaker 2: from high school, he still was young.
[10:21] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[10:22] Speaker 2: Even when him and Mary Jane was out there was
[10:24] Speaker 2: like living together or whatever. He was, he always just
[10:27] Speaker 2: felt young and regular. Yeah.
[10:29] Speaker 1: And Tom Holland looks like he could still be in
[10:33] Speaker 1: high school. Like he looks he just blessed with a
[10:36] Speaker 1: youthful fact.
[10:37] Speaker 2: He got the youthful appearance down. I feel like once
[10:42] Speaker 2: I watched Brand New Dale was like, Yeah, he's definitively
[10:45] Speaker 2: my favorite Spider Man.
[10:46] Speaker 1: Definitively my favorite Spider Man. In this one, he is
[10:51] Speaker 1: very muted for a large portion of the film, which.
[10:56] Speaker 2: This is what I liked. They did good.
[10:58] Speaker 3: Yeah, you made that choice last time. You gonna pay
[11:02] Speaker 3: for it.
[11:03] Speaker 1: Ain't no undo, ain't no spell Nah, Bro, you gotta
[11:07] Speaker 1: live with that.
[11:09] Speaker 2: Man. I'm glad they sat and that was made that
[11:12] Speaker 2: your friend and your lover are gonna forget about you, bro,
[11:16] Speaker 2: and the end you got a marinate it. It's gone.
[11:20] Speaker 1: I thought they tricked a little bit when uh, when
[11:22] Speaker 1: Jean was in her mind, I was like she remember
[11:26] Speaker 1: when she came in when when she revealed it, she
[11:28] Speaker 1: was like, man, she ain't in here at all.
[11:30] Speaker 3: Yeah, she don't know you at all. There ain't nothing
[11:34] Speaker 3: in here, my boy.
[11:35] Speaker 2: I'm glad they stayed true to for sure.
[11:38] Speaker 1: Because you a lot of times in movies that the
[11:41] Speaker 1: stakes don't carry over. It's like an episode or whatever.
[11:44] Speaker 1: Or then like his goal is, like, I need to
[11:46] Speaker 1: get the memories back, bro. He watched them go through
[11:49] Speaker 1: the whole college.
[11:50] Speaker 2: He was like, can you imagine that watching from the
[11:53] Speaker 2: side your favorite people in life that are still alive
[11:57] Speaker 2: because you lost your aunt. Yeah, so now your favorite
[12:00] Speaker 2: people in life. You just got to watch him from
[12:03] Speaker 2: Afar as a stranger.
[12:04] Speaker 1: And they're having a time on the tailor in my team,
[12:08] Speaker 1: they roommates.
[12:09] Speaker 3: She just love and you by yourself.
[12:12] Speaker 2: You don't even have new friends, no new friends. You
[12:14] Speaker 2: just fighting crime. The city loves you. You got a
[12:17] Speaker 2: great friend and the police officer.
[12:20] Speaker 3: But you don't even know her kids name, don't know her.
[12:22] Speaker 2: Kids' names like that, But that's who you're talking to
[12:24] Speaker 2: on the phone. Yes, and so it's just like you
[12:27] Speaker 2: lost everything, but you know, but the people rocking with
[12:30] Speaker 2: Spider Man, that but.
[12:31] Speaker 3: The people is is just the people.
[12:33] Speaker 1: You don't have the person, which I thought was a
[12:36] Speaker 1: good theme to explore, like.
[12:37] Speaker 2: And he didn't play it too MOPI like, like I
[12:41] Speaker 2: love I love Tobey Maguire, but he got a Mopi vibe. Man,
[12:46] Speaker 2: he had a Mopi vibe and like in part two,
[12:50] Speaker 2: which I love too, is amazing, but he was man,
[12:53] Speaker 2: I was just like it was one thing after another.
[12:57] Speaker 2: I was like, you are Charlie brown Man. He was
[13:02] Speaker 2: just like, oh shut. She was just it was he
[13:06] Speaker 2: had too much move Yeah, he was mumpy Deck and
[13:09] Speaker 2: I feel like Tom Holland, although he was going through
[13:12] Speaker 2: what he's going through, I didn't feel as much molp
[13:14] Speaker 2: with him. Nah.
[13:15] Speaker 1: He was like, here's what I love. He buried himself
[13:20] Speaker 1: in the work and he never healed. Every time they
[13:24] Speaker 1: took his mask off, Fresh on Your Lood.
[13:27] Speaker 3: The whole movie talk.
[13:29] Speaker 2: He was beat up. He was like that mask came off,
[13:31] Speaker 2: it was something God done.
[13:36] Speaker 1: It was something swollen his hours here like he's like
[13:41] Speaker 1: he's but he's getting thrown around, punch kick knocked into
[13:46] Speaker 1: walls every day for the most part.
[13:49] Speaker 3: Bro, that's gonna have a toll. It's gonna take a
[13:51] Speaker 3: toll on your body.
[13:52] Speaker 2: I love it when they showed the superheroes just getting
[13:54] Speaker 2: beat up man. They're not they're not they super but
[13:57] Speaker 2: they're not like it's vulnerable. That's why off spider Man.
[14:01] Speaker 2: All the superhero Spider Man get whooped the most on
[14:05] Speaker 2: the cartoon.
[14:05] Speaker 3: They would and he would be talking trash.
[14:11] Speaker 1: Job disconnected. They beating the Spider Man, be getting wopped.
[14:16] Speaker 1: Everybody in New York. Take day, man, I just beat
[14:19] Speaker 1: the brakes off spider Man.
[14:20] Speaker 3: You want to have a.
[14:21] Speaker 2: Turn that jumped alive, they would jump Spidery. Spider Man
[14:24] Speaker 2: has gotten jumped more.
[14:25] Speaker 4: Than any other superhero I can think of.
[14:28] Speaker 2: I'm not talking about jump where you see Batman fighting
[14:30] Speaker 2: a whole bunch of dudes at once. I'm talking about
[14:33] Speaker 2: they holding him down, got holding grabbing, put him in
[14:38] Speaker 2: the face and let your shocking like yo, man, make
[14:42] Speaker 2: the big hand. He was fighting the same to y'all.
[14:45] Speaker 2: Took on his feet.
[14:46] Speaker 4: Man, hell yeah, saying man, give him the big saying fist.
[14:50] Speaker 3: Heyna beat up here. I made to y'all like god,
[14:53] Speaker 3: him in.
[14:53] Speaker 2: The face with one of your exploding fumpkins, missus mask
[14:57] Speaker 2: up to when half his faces out and we still
[14:59] Speaker 2: can't see him half off.
[15:01] Speaker 4: This man, this consume is getting shredded.
[15:04] Speaker 2: Everything tall.
[15:06] Speaker 3: He would still be like, man, that's all you got.
[15:09] Speaker 1: On Spider Man.
[15:12] Speaker 2: Just missus, Steve, just.
[15:15] Speaker 3: Man.
[15:16] Speaker 2: That's how you feeling. Somebody didn't have their coffee.
[15:20] Speaker 1: That's why I liked him because it was like, bro,
[15:23] Speaker 1: y'all whooping me, but you ain't gonna never take my
[15:25] Speaker 1: spirit right, I'm getting whooped and tossed from building.
[15:32] Speaker 4: Wool rein and Spider Man get just getting tall.
[15:35] Speaker 2: But Spider Man got no heel ain't got the heel
[15:37] Speaker 2: in factor like Wolverine.
[15:38] Speaker 4: I think he has a little bit of a factor.
[15:40] Speaker 4: But they've been, they've been.
[15:42] Speaker 2: They kind of oversell spiders. Let's talk about that for
[15:45] Speaker 2: a second. Spider says spiders do not have a sense.
[15:51] Speaker 2: This is the first and fore movie on the Spider Dad.
[15:55] Speaker 2: If it's a spider on the wall, I'm gonna I'm
[15:58] Speaker 2: gonna catch him with the new balance. He is not
[16:01] Speaker 2: gonna be like, oh ship, He's not gonna swing off
[16:05] Speaker 2: his eyes and started to get up that spiders.
[16:07] Speaker 3: This spiders at most got a little scurry.
[16:10] Speaker 2: They are the They are one of the easiest bugs
[16:13] Speaker 2: to kill and hip flies.
[16:15] Speaker 4: I give you a spiders cent.
[16:16] Speaker 1: Now flies or two hell of this that I be
[16:20] Speaker 1: feeling so dumb as a man when I swing tough
[16:22] Speaker 1: and miss a fly, I know.
[16:24] Speaker 3: They'd be like.
[16:27] Speaker 2: And in their eyes you're moving like this, Come on, man,
[16:33] Speaker 2: you do not over the Canada.
[16:34] Speaker 3: Yeah, but they got no sense.
[16:36] Speaker 2: Spiders have no. I looked it up. I'm like, do
[16:38] Speaker 2: spiders have a sense? No. They can feel vibration, but
[16:44] Speaker 2: they don't.
[16:44] Speaker 1: Have like this little sixth sense of like you know,
[16:46] Speaker 1: they probably put it from that web thing. They can
[16:48] Speaker 1: feel when they're trapping, but they don't know what They
[16:52] Speaker 1: just walking on the streets and they don't.
[16:53] Speaker 4: Know what's coming because they have horrible vision.
[16:56] Speaker 2: So they just sitting there with their extremities on every
[16:59] Speaker 2: plant form of the web they made, just waiting for vibration.
[17:04] Speaker 2: So but it's not like if something's coming there, Oh,
[17:06] Speaker 2: something's coming. They got to feel you hit that web.
[17:11] Speaker 2: Stanley took a little liberty. I'll give you the strength
[17:15] Speaker 2: and I'll give you the walk in the wall crawling.
[17:18] Speaker 2: We give you that, but also a healing factor. Spiders
[17:21] Speaker 2: don't have that.
[17:22] Speaker 3: Spiders be dad man, you.
[17:24] Speaker 2: You take a leg off. They gonna be seven legs.
[17:29] Speaker 2: The web's gonna be raggedy. Why your webs look like this?
[17:31] Speaker 2: I'm missing legs, bitch, but that's why it's looking like that.
[17:39] Speaker 3: Do you see a legs?
[17:41] Speaker 1: No, tell me what y'all with all their minds you got,
[17:43] Speaker 1: do you see a legs? Shut the hell out there, man,
[17:45] Speaker 1: that's every leg for the intricate whibs I got black
[17:50] Speaker 1: widow webs.
[17:52] Speaker 2: Black widow webs are raggedy, by the way, for those forms.
[17:55] Speaker 2: But so I just want to I just wanted to
[17:57] Speaker 2: put that out there. They kind of oversail over there.
[18:00] Speaker 2: But they are strong though.
[18:01] Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, in sex are strong, so you can't go
[18:04] Speaker 3: wrong with that.
[18:06] Speaker 2: And then, uh, I just I just really appreciate how
[18:10] Speaker 2: they scaled everything back.
[18:12] Speaker 3: I loved it, and they took their time.
[18:13] Speaker 2: Lord the Saks, man, I'm sick of the multiverse.
[18:17] Speaker 3: I am done with the multi verse.
[18:19] Speaker 1: Multi verse ruins the Steaks because you never feel like
[18:24] Speaker 1: anybody's really dead.
[18:26] Speaker 4: They will take it out home, like watch it out
[18:29] Speaker 4: when they died.
[18:30] Speaker 3: They die.
[18:31] Speaker 1: Man, that steaks enough, scale it back, man.
[18:34] Speaker 3: Scale it bag. Spider Man Steaks be local. Yes, he
[18:38] Speaker 3: don't even be in Harlem.
[18:40] Speaker 1: To your point enough, Spider Man ain't never crossed over
[18:44] Speaker 1: one hundred twenty fifth Street, Malcolm X's boulevard.
[18:47] Speaker 3: He don't never go up there.
[18:49] Speaker 2: He don't know where Wu Tang clan is from, but
[18:51] Speaker 2: where they came up at. He's not going to stat
[18:53] Speaker 2: noam no a fairy come nah man, Liberty watch out, Yeah,
[18:59] Speaker 2: said you Liberty in one of them joints. I think
[19:01] Speaker 2: it was a homecoming, but that's need to hear your
[19:04] Speaker 2: I like how everything was scaled back, and you know,
[19:07] Speaker 2: we got a we got a new localized threat.
[19:10] Speaker 4: Yes, which was a surprise for me.
[19:12] Speaker 3: Yes, the villain in this, I know. I didn't know.
[19:16] Speaker 2: When they said the name, I reacted. I felt like
[19:18] Speaker 2: a cornball, did you Yeah, because when they said her,
[19:21] Speaker 2: they are.
[19:21] Speaker 3: Like, oh so it didn't get spoiled for you?
[19:24] Speaker 4: No, I got no. I had no clue.
[19:27] Speaker 3: Steve Lacy, you ruined it?
[19:30] Speaker 2: Is that what he ruined?
[19:31] Speaker 3: Yes? Okay? And the and the reporter was like, yo,
[19:35] Speaker 3: don't spoil it.
[19:36] Speaker 1: S gray Man Gray in here, Jean and you wouldn't
[19:42] Speaker 1: Nobody would have known. They had her on her knee.
[19:48] Speaker 1: They started with scorpion. Uh, the our bino dude, Tombstone, Tombstone.
[19:56] Speaker 3: Those are Spider Man milling like. I was like, okay,
[19:58] Speaker 3: scorp we ain't seen him. It was a scorpion from
[20:00] Speaker 3: breaking back, like a Mexican scorpion.
[20:03] Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, he's always been Mexican though.
[20:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, the character.
[20:07] Speaker 3: Scorpion, I know. Hell yeah, good friend.
[20:10] Speaker 2: It was. It was another It was another Mexican villain
[20:13] Speaker 2: in the Spider Man Us Cannon. His name was Tarantula.
[20:17] Speaker 4: He ended up getting turned into like an actual spider.
[20:22] Speaker 2: It was like a giant spider. I feel bad for.
[20:24] Speaker 3: Him because there Harry too.
[20:26] Speaker 2: Killing himself, like he had jumped off the building like
[20:29] Speaker 2: they would shoot down and he just jumped off the building.
[20:31] Speaker 2: He was just a big ass dead spider. I was like, damn,
[20:35] Speaker 2: they had to do him like that.
[20:37] Speaker 3: So they put Tombstone in that movie and got him
[20:39] Speaker 3: right up out of there.
[20:40] Speaker 2: Matter of fact, that Tarantional character. Remember remember there was
[20:44] Speaker 2: a montage of Spider Man doing heroic stuff. But this
[20:48] Speaker 2: is a throwback to the covers, right, the Spider Man
[20:52] Speaker 2: carrying the guy and like Tombstone and like Boomerang. But
[20:55] Speaker 2: there's one where the dude tried to kick him with
[20:57] Speaker 2: the little sharp foot.
[20:58] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's.
[21:01] Speaker 2: Anyway, but yes, nerd out. But so I didn't know that,
[21:06] Speaker 2: you know, Lacey did that. Yes, And so when I said, oh,
[21:11] Speaker 2: ruined that because because when they were introducing the villain,
[21:14] Speaker 2: I didn't recognize the power scheme, I was like, yo,
[21:16] Speaker 2: this is like falling.
[21:17] Speaker 3: So I didn't.
[21:18] Speaker 1: The thing that's good about me is I thought Gene
[21:21] Speaker 1: Gray was making a cameo.
[21:23] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[21:23] Speaker 1: So when it was that person, I was like, because
[21:26] Speaker 1: it kind of remind me a little bit of the
[21:27] Speaker 1: villain on the last mins Morales one the dots dude
[21:33] Speaker 1: that was hopping around. Yeah, I was like, but I
[21:35] Speaker 1: know it's not that, but I was like, I don't
[21:37] Speaker 1: remember this villain and it was a coold way to
[21:41] Speaker 1: show her power. The black dude he shined. I was like,
[21:48] Speaker 1: whoever that black dude?
[21:49] Speaker 3: After it, I said, brother, he took that three minutes.
[21:53] Speaker 1: He took his three small part as said, I'm you
[21:57] Speaker 1: gonna remember because a lot.
[21:58] Speaker 3: Of people got to talk for sure.
[22:00] Speaker 1: But he was like nah, he was probably the most
[22:03] Speaker 1: memorable jumps of the jumps, and he also had a
[22:07] Speaker 1: little bit more lines. But I was like, no, I'm
[22:10] Speaker 1: feeling you. I thought, Okay, this is it. He'd have won,
[22:13] Speaker 1: And then when the jumped out, I was like, oh,
[22:16] Speaker 1: I know where he going.
[22:16] Speaker 2: I would love to play the role like that.
[22:18] Speaker 3: You would kill that tall.
[22:19] Speaker 2: I was just like one of the people that get
[22:21] Speaker 2: possessed by the person.
[22:22] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[22:23] Speaker 1: You people would laugh though, just because they think you're funny,
[22:26] Speaker 1: but you wouldn't be playing.
[22:28] Speaker 2: No, because it would be like in that particular setup,
[22:32] Speaker 2: it would be like a character switch. I can be
[22:34] Speaker 2: kind of funny because I'm like messing with you. Yeah,
[22:37] Speaker 2: I could be regular. At first, you really you really
[22:40] Speaker 2: thought that was such a much Yeah, I thought that
[22:45] Speaker 2: was pretty dope. How they did that.
[22:46] Speaker 1: Okay, Patreon to say his name is not okay, I
[22:49] Speaker 1: don't know how to pronounce this in I y a
[22:52] Speaker 1: in I y a. He had a resume, he's uh,
[22:57] Speaker 1: he's been borders what it feels like for a girl?
[23:00] Speaker 4: Great song by Madonna, by the way.
[23:02] Speaker 3: What song borders? After everything? Eve All? He directed and
[23:09] Speaker 3: Spider Man Bred Day.
[23:10] Speaker 1: So you had a lot of young Yeah, but I
[23:12] Speaker 1: feel like that's gonna be like I made sure that.
[23:15] Speaker 1: When I saw him, I said, I need to I
[23:18] Speaker 1: like him as an actor. I feel like he did
[23:20] Speaker 1: a great great job. Yeah, somebody said the possession movements
[23:25] Speaker 1: reminded him of Falling I love Falling time. And here's
[23:32] Speaker 1: what I like about Jean Gray being the main villain
[23:35] Speaker 1: but Spider Man being the thing. Jean Gray is not
[23:38] Speaker 1: had her strongest yet, so she's relative to where Spider
[23:42] Speaker 1: Man is. I like the idea of a young Jean Gray,
[23:46] Speaker 1: where she at the beginning movie, she's only thirty feet
[23:49] Speaker 1: that's as far as she can go.
[23:52] Speaker 3: By the end of the.
[23:52] Speaker 1: Movie, it's like little I can get you in the
[23:57] Speaker 1: bow row. It reminds you that she's an Omega level
[24:00] Speaker 1: mutant and.
[24:01] Speaker 4: I was figuring it out still.
[24:03] Speaker 2: I got a.
[24:04] Speaker 1: Little piece of hope with this that they could do
[24:08] Speaker 1: the Dark Phoenix saga again. That is my favorite X
[24:12] Speaker 1: Men arc. The cartoon did it. She was bigger than
[24:16] Speaker 1: Earth Tone. Professor X was like, hey, y'all, I don't can't.
[24:23] Speaker 1: They couldn't do nothing with her at her and when
[24:27] Speaker 1: she was like losing it, Professor X was like, bro,
[24:30] Speaker 1: I'm tripping.
[24:31] Speaker 2: And they was never able to do nothing with her
[24:33] Speaker 2: because in the totality of the story, she had to
[24:38] Speaker 2: kill herself.
[24:39] Speaker 3: I know.
[24:39] Speaker 2: The only way they was able to get through.
[24:41] Speaker 1: It, and I like, I just I told you this
[24:43] Speaker 1: before her Wanda the villain in New Avengers, thunder or Thunderbolts.
[24:50] Speaker 3: You can't beat them. You gotta talk.
[24:52] Speaker 2: Hey, man, let me talk to you. Yeah, I'm sad.
[24:56] Speaker 1: I like he had to calm her down because you
[25:00] Speaker 1: pound for pound, power for power, bro, she's stopping the world.
[25:06] Speaker 1: She's like professor. Actually just rewatching log I just rewatched
[25:09] Speaker 1: Logan for for the podcast. She's stopping everybody. You man
[25:13] Speaker 1: really is the hero because she hugged her and she
[25:18] Speaker 1: was like, man.
[25:18] Speaker 2: I just came nice little mental toss down. But it's
[25:25] Speaker 2: just it's just you know, she didn't stop the whole world,
[25:27] Speaker 2: but she's not a big portion of the city. But
[25:29] Speaker 2: it was just like she's just getting started.
[25:31] Speaker 3: I stopped the world.
[25:32] Speaker 1: World stopping now. But it's New York and they have
[25:36] Speaker 1: Mary j. Mary j had the little m J had
[25:38] Speaker 1: the little tear coming out. But yeah, I loved that
[25:41] Speaker 1: it was early Jean Gray.
[25:44] Speaker 2: I liked the casting too. I did a good job.
[25:47] Speaker 1: I liked Sadie sinc as young Jean Gray. I don't
[25:51] Speaker 1: don't get on no drugs, do good because there's a
[25:55] Speaker 1: path for you to be in four hundred movies.
[25:58] Speaker 4: If they if they do it right, I really feel
[26:00] Speaker 4: like she's.
[26:01] Speaker 3: Young though she's young.
[26:02] Speaker 1: Young, She's like, I need to go to Professor's exens
[26:05] Speaker 1: School young.
[26:07] Speaker 2: I'm just like they kind of that kind of puts
[26:10] Speaker 2: the X Man in the box. If they do keep
[26:12] Speaker 2: her as Jean Gray, I don't know if they're gonna
[26:14] Speaker 2: age her up and turn with a different actress.
[26:17] Speaker 4: It's like, now now everybody gotta be young.
[26:18] Speaker 1: Well see what what I thought? What I thought Spider
[26:22] Speaker 1: Man Brand New Day did best. It sets you up
[26:26] Speaker 1: for two things. Mutants ain't. People ain't gonna like mutants
[26:30] Speaker 1: because what Geen Gray was able to do right. And
[26:35] Speaker 1: Professor actually three things Professor X's School for Exceptional Children
[26:40] Speaker 1: something like that gifted Professor Xen, you know what I'm saying,
[26:44] Speaker 1: gifted or exceptional. And three the inhibitors. You know that's
[26:49] Speaker 1: gonna come back for sure.
[26:50] Speaker 2: That went back.
[26:51] Speaker 1: And Spider Man it wasn't accidentally because he needed it,
[26:56] Speaker 1: but he created some tech that's gonna be just like
[26:59] Speaker 1: damage said. He had a good reason, but the tech
[27:03] Speaker 1: gonna be used for for sure. I mean, come on,
[27:06] Speaker 1: so they.
[27:06] Speaker 2: Found out it's like perfect they're gonna be using that.
[27:08] Speaker 2: They're gonna be collaring mutants all easy work.
[27:12] Speaker 1: They're gonna be tossing them things on there. And I
[27:14] Speaker 1: love how they snuck in it. You couldn't put it
[27:16] Speaker 1: on Hawk when he was in his form. He's like, nah,
[27:19] Speaker 1: he's and also, man, shout out to Hawk being back
[27:22] Speaker 1: strong again.
[27:23] Speaker 3: Get the glasses out of here, Hawk.
[27:25] Speaker 2: I'm sick of nerdy nice hope. I don't want to
[27:28] Speaker 2: see it no more. Take I want Hulk angry, big
[27:33] Speaker 2: as hell, is just tearing everything up.
[27:36] Speaker 1: Why was Hawk wearing sweaters with glasses on?
[27:41] Speaker 2: I didn't want that is gonna be regular. I want
[27:45] Speaker 2: him to be an asshole regular. Yeah, he was in
[27:48] Speaker 2: the comics talking shit, still, just ribbing people. I don't
[27:51] Speaker 2: want the super nice.
[27:52] Speaker 1: Guy, no, man, because that ain't Hawk. That defeats a purpose.
[27:56] Speaker 1: And he was like, man, you're bigger than I remember. Yeah, man,
[27:58] Speaker 1: because I'm out here for real.
[28:00] Speaker 3: That with me.
[28:01] Speaker 1: But it took me seven movies finally, man, but I'm
[28:05] Speaker 1: back smashing stuff.
[28:06] Speaker 3: He was beating the bro he was.
[28:07] Speaker 4: He was standing up in there.
[28:10] Speaker 2: With a building worth of material hanging from his his
[28:15] Speaker 2: back and he was just standing there.
[28:17] Speaker 4: He struggled for a minute and he was all.
[28:19] Speaker 1: Right, and then he gave up when he just gave
[28:21] Speaker 1: up with but he was Yeah, he looked at what he.
[28:24] Speaker 2: Was holding up back there.
[28:25] Speaker 3: Was just remind us of who Hawk really is.
[28:29] Speaker 1: Because Thanos, like to use a tony term, Thanos nerved him.
[28:34] Speaker 1: They nerved him with Thanos to show you how big.
[28:36] Speaker 1: Dannals was like, you can have him beat Hak one
[28:40] Speaker 1: on one, but he ain't got to beat the confidence
[28:41] Speaker 1: out of hell.
[28:44] Speaker 2: This shouldn't be no easy win.
[28:46] Speaker 3: Nah, he was here a pink pink. Let him have it,
[28:49] Speaker 3: you know.
[28:50] Speaker 1: Your boy was like, let him have his fun, man.
[28:54] Speaker 3: And then he's you know, the molecular biology.
[28:57] Speaker 4: In the comic books.
[28:58] Speaker 2: But either he got a trick him somehow or its
[29:00] Speaker 2: just like but easy win, just on pure fighting, especially
[29:04] Speaker 2: when he's gonna get pissed. Yeah, getting the better of him,
[29:08] Speaker 2: and the matter he gets, the stronger he gets, exactly.
[29:11] Speaker 2: So keep that going. Yes, stop, you know what I'm saying,
[29:14] Speaker 2: because everybody that the whole fights in the comic books,
[29:17] Speaker 2: they find a way to beat him.
[29:19] Speaker 4: But just make it a struggle, That's all I ask. Like,
[29:23] Speaker 4: when had to fight him in Africa. Yeah, that was
[29:26] Speaker 4: that was a fight.
[29:27] Speaker 1: Yes, and he built he built the big hawk, he
[29:30] Speaker 1: built the hawk thing.
[29:32] Speaker 2: And then you got to calm him down and just
[29:34] Speaker 2: like let's get back to that.
[29:35] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[29:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah, I thought the casting was good as well. Yeah,
[29:40] Speaker 1: and they and Tom Holland. Man, you talk about some
[29:43] Speaker 1: back to back movies. Has anybody ever done back to
[29:46] Speaker 1: back billion dollar movies in the in four weeks?
[29:49] Speaker 2: Yeah, they're back to back? Is crazy?
[29:51] Speaker 1: Back to back billion that's crazy back to back.
[29:56] Speaker 2: In imagine imagine working with your with your girl man
[30:03] Speaker 2: in top tier entertainment, just the biggest and both getting paid,
[30:08] Speaker 2: hanging out still and.
[30:11] Speaker 3: She's your girlfriend in this movie.
[30:13] Speaker 2: Yeah. Man, that's a sweet ass setup.
[30:16] Speaker 1: And I love to come out of my trailer and listens,
[30:19] Speaker 1: my love interest against Indian have.
[30:22] Speaker 2: To worry about her, like, man.
[30:23] Speaker 1: You ain't never home, like we both at work, were
[30:26] Speaker 1: both at work, We both at work, and she wasn't
[30:31] Speaker 1: even in the movie that that much. Punisher was in
[30:34] Speaker 1: it there way more than By the way, John Berthaw
[30:39] Speaker 1: as deranged maniac gun guy, he was signed me. He's
[30:43] Speaker 1: also back to back billion Oh yeah, he was as
[30:49] Speaker 1: a Middlelaius but he worked. He gave the punisher more
[30:54] Speaker 1: charm than you seen him. Oh yeah, for sure, Spider
[30:57] Speaker 1: Man brought that out of him.
[30:58] Speaker 2: Bring he's bringing that because he was he was still
[31:00] Speaker 2: rough and gritty.
[31:01] Speaker 4: And then he was just like yeah, yeah, yeah.
[31:06] Speaker 2: MJ is so funny. She's just like, I'll take some chill.
[31:09] Speaker 2: She was great, fantastic.
[31:11] Speaker 1: I feel like Zenda is, she's just got a certain something.
[31:16] Speaker 1: She has such a likability. She has the dramatic chops.
[31:20] Speaker 1: I haven't seen challenges. Did you see that.
[31:22] Speaker 2: I haven't seen that.
[31:22] Speaker 1: I didn't see that either, But that knock on Marie thing.
[31:25] Speaker 1: You've seen more of her. Athena was a different version
[31:28] Speaker 1: of her, but her version of MJ she's great, and
[31:32] Speaker 1: that as great as nast That.
[31:34] Speaker 2: Is fantastic as well. So it's just like, you know,
[31:37] Speaker 2: those moments that she had with Peter were great. Even
[31:40] Speaker 2: when she was you know, body jumped in, she was
[31:43] Speaker 2: her regular self. You could tell she like felt bad
[31:45] Speaker 2: for him because it's just like, damn, you know, I
[31:48] Speaker 2: just ain't got no love for you like that because
[31:49] Speaker 2: I don't know you, I don't hear what you're saying.
[31:51] Speaker 1: I feel you confess and I feel you, I know
[31:55] Speaker 1: you feel something.
[31:55] Speaker 2: She fell back. She's like, you can come through.
[31:59] Speaker 4: Come on, you know what I'm saying. I I you know,
[32:03] Speaker 4: I got a boyfriend, you can come over.
[32:04] Speaker 3: Yeah for one time.
[32:06] Speaker 4: Yeah, it was like, no, they done.
[32:10] Speaker 1: Spider gonna be right up in that right up there,
[32:12] Speaker 1: he's gonna be Man, how much I'm slid right back? Yeah?
[32:15] Speaker 2: Right up?
[32:16] Speaker 1: What do you think about the spider him becoming more
[32:20] Speaker 1: of a spider?
[32:22] Speaker 2: I was I was wondering where they were gonna go
[32:24] Speaker 2: with that. I was just like, oh, he's becoming a spider,
[32:27] Speaker 2: Like uh, I was just wondering how far they was
[32:29] Speaker 2: gonna take that. Yeah, really gonna start transforming because that
[32:32] Speaker 2: would be my biggest fear as Spider Man, Like, am
[32:36] Speaker 2: I gonna start looking.
[32:37] Speaker 3: Like, yeah, a spider? Yes? Like if my eyes certain black,
[32:41] Speaker 3: I'm like that was great?
[32:43] Speaker 2: Am I gonna have four over? Then five? Am I
[32:47] Speaker 2: gonna have six eyes? Are the War's gonna come out
[32:49] Speaker 2: of my belly button?
[32:51] Speaker 1: Oh?
[32:51] Speaker 3: That's gross? That is how it works with real spider.
[32:54] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's coming out the abdomen.
[32:55] Speaker 2: Yeah, am I gonna get these weird hairs?
[32:59] Speaker 4: Am I gonna are getting rapping?
[33:00] Speaker 2: This towards. Yes, we're gonna start drinking, you know, because
[33:05] Speaker 2: they drained the blood in your inside, they'll drain you.
[33:08] Speaker 2: I would be. I would be terrified. Am I gonna
[33:11] Speaker 2: grow multiple limbs? Yeah? I wouldn't be. I'll be like
[33:15] Speaker 2: yo with the Spider Jean or whatever kicking in like this,
[33:19] Speaker 2: I'm gonna be shipped. Yes.
[33:21] Speaker 3: I love that.
[33:23] Speaker 1: He was losing control with the theme of the movie
[33:27] Speaker 1: that the dude who ran damage control was saying, like,
[33:34] Speaker 1: we all have our monsters in our you know, good
[33:37] Speaker 1: monster in our humanity, which we always people have are
[33:39] Speaker 1: good in our bad. So when he's losing control and
[33:42] Speaker 1: he slammed that cop card down, I was like, oh,
[33:46] Speaker 1: like he really gotta figure this out.
[33:49] Speaker 3: He was. It was great. The cop was like god,
[33:52] Speaker 3: dog man, hell you doing?
[33:54] Speaker 2: He was just like he was slinging the score being around.
[33:57] Speaker 2: I don't care who get hit. Second, this was like,
[34:01] Speaker 2: all right, man, man, I'm not a prison man.
[34:06] Speaker 4: I just got a prison man.
[34:09] Speaker 2: Keith David did do a voiceover cameo.
[34:12] Speaker 3: Also, wait, what do you do?
[34:14] Speaker 2: You can hear his voice. They were watching like a
[34:15] Speaker 2: spider documentary on something. It's Keith David was doing. Oh
[34:19] Speaker 2: I didn't recognize it. And they say, Naomi Watts is
[34:22] Speaker 2: the voice of his like Jarvis type.
[34:24] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I thought that was familiar, but I didn't.
[34:28] Speaker 1: I didn't recognize her.
[34:29] Speaker 2: I didn't recognize a voice because they go back to
[34:32] Speaker 2: the movie The Impossible.
[34:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, so I thought that was I'm sure Time
[34:36] Speaker 3: set that up. Yeah. I thought I thought Black Widow
[34:39] Speaker 3: was good.
[34:40] Speaker 4: I love black I love her as a black widow.
[34:43] Speaker 3: Florence Pew.
[34:44] Speaker 2: I love Florence Pew, though.
[34:45] Speaker 3: I don't I've never seen her do something that I
[34:47] Speaker 3: didn't like.
[34:48] Speaker 2: Yeah, I like her a lot.
[34:49] Speaker 1: She is a really good actress. I thought she was
[34:54] Speaker 1: good in that role. I thought she was just helpful
[34:58] Speaker 1: enough and like she's not gonna get involved, She's just
[35:00] Speaker 1: gonna do a thing or two.
[35:02] Speaker 2: I like the dynamic between Punisher, MJ and Spider Man.
[35:06] Speaker 3: It was great.
[35:07] Speaker 2: It was a great. It was a great dynamic. I
[35:10] Speaker 2: like how MJ could just accept the Punisher for how
[35:13] Speaker 2: he was. For sure, she wasn't thrown off by him,
[35:16] Speaker 2: and she ate.
[35:17] Speaker 3: The Chili, you know what I'm saying.
[35:19] Speaker 2: And so I really liked that, especially when you think
[35:21] Speaker 2: about how MJ has been throughout this franchise, just like
[35:24] Speaker 2: you know, it's her own lane for sure. For sure,
[35:28] Speaker 2: I feel like that taps because you know the punisher
[35:31] Speaker 2: is in his own own lane.
[35:32] Speaker 1: Yes, and I think Spider Man and punished out the
[35:34] Speaker 1: good chemistry as well, Like it was great, I saved
[35:37] Speaker 1: you all this guy, Yeah that's John Bertha. Let me
[35:42] Speaker 1: tell you something, man, like a wrestler. I saved you
[35:47] Speaker 1: was standing on him. That's John birth On.
[35:55] Speaker 4: For sure, so that that was a great addition man.
[35:58] Speaker 1: And then he was Spider Man one. Nick, you shot
[36:00] Speaker 1: me at the end. I win this forever. But I
[36:04] Speaker 1: saved you. But but you wouldn't have to save it
[36:06] Speaker 1: if you didn't shoot me. Ain't nobody tell you to
[36:08] Speaker 1: pull the snapper? Right?
[36:09] Speaker 4: And I felt the regret from Yes, yeah.
[36:12] Speaker 1: It was nice with it, but spidy sense saved it.
[36:16] Speaker 1: That spiders don't really have spier. Jean Gray was just
[36:21] Speaker 1: get lit up. She got lit up.
[36:25] Speaker 2: And I like the fact that you know, once you
[36:26] Speaker 2: take Jane Gray's powers, she she ain't bring nothing else.
[36:29] Speaker 1: Oh no, when they clipped that thing on, she was
[36:32] Speaker 1: like Jesus, a redhead, I'm not coming with the gek
[36:38] Speaker 1: Uh completely forgot or did not know she had a
[36:41] Speaker 1: sister named Sarah Gray that comic book.
[36:43] Speaker 2: True, didn't. I didn't remember no sister in the comic books.
[36:47] Speaker 3: I don't think she had powers though I don't. I
[36:49] Speaker 3: was like, who the hell is Sarah? And what is
[36:52] Speaker 3: v Max?
[36:52] Speaker 2: I don't remember having powers? But you know they always
[36:55] Speaker 2: changing stuff up comics. Yeah, but historically when I was
[36:59] Speaker 2: reading the comics, I was just like, yes, you got
[37:02] Speaker 2: a sister, because I always just thinking about the family dynamic.
[37:06] Speaker 4: But I was just like, but that's somebody I had
[37:08] Speaker 4: never thought.
[37:08] Speaker 2: I was like a sister.
[37:09] Speaker 1: I had to go back and re up. I do
[37:11] Speaker 1: want to pause. Trammel Tillman Man, Yeah, out here working
[37:15] Speaker 1: he uh severance as milchak. He does so many good things. Well,
[37:21] Speaker 1: I was watching this like, man, it's the first time
[37:23] Speaker 1: I see him. He ain't he ain't really the villain.
[37:25] Speaker 1: And lo and behold on the underneath Man's smooth, Man's
[37:34] Speaker 1: you know Sarah Man.
[37:35] Speaker 3: When she came to my mind, it was it was
[37:37] Speaker 3: Sarah of the whole thing.
[37:40] Speaker 2: What happened?
[37:40] Speaker 4: It was like this spain you believe it.
[37:45] Speaker 2: He was like, I say, okay, flip.
[37:50] Speaker 3: The whip, m J. What was it?
[37:52] Speaker 2: Like for you.
[37:53] Speaker 1: Nothing, I heard absolutely nothing. The lights was off, the
[37:56] Speaker 1: lights was off.
[37:57] Speaker 2: Nothing.
[37:58] Speaker 1: Man, I woke up and I will come over here.
[38:00] Speaker 1: Went to sleep here, walk up here. Resident and he
[38:07] Speaker 1: got hurt in the thing. Right now he doing tests
[38:11] Speaker 1: on her right now.
[38:13] Speaker 4: Man, we kids insist on accident. We're gonna give you
[38:16] Speaker 4: an accident.
[38:18] Speaker 2: How about this?
[38:21] Speaker 3: What is V MAX?
[38:22] Speaker 2: He was like, Man, I don't know, for real, he
[38:25] Speaker 2: really didn't know.
[38:25] Speaker 3: He did not know what you're talking about?
[38:28] Speaker 1: What is v Just like, I love that because v
[38:32] Speaker 1: MAX sounds like something that the government would be hiding
[38:37] Speaker 1: or needed, like v max.
[38:43] Speaker 2: That was like, do not remove on the genelty of law?
[38:46] Speaker 2: What the hell's that?
[38:47] Speaker 4: I was looking at the masters from the bottom before.
[38:50] Speaker 3: That that V MAX thing. When she really my sister died,
[38:56] Speaker 3: it was good. I loved.
[39:01] Speaker 1: See why I like Jen Gray is a villain. She
[39:04] Speaker 1: was a villain who wasn't a villain, but she was
[39:06] Speaker 1: a villain. Her biggest villain rey is she don't have
[39:10] Speaker 1: control of her powers like that, and that's what she
[39:12] Speaker 1: always Her main thing in x rat is she never
[39:17] Speaker 1: is in full control.
[39:18] Speaker 2: She's scary, man.
[39:19] Speaker 3: That's why she's scary.
[39:21] Speaker 1: That's why the Dark Phoenix saga is my favorite because
[39:24] Speaker 1: you really don't know and if she doesn't come to
[39:28] Speaker 1: her senses to kill herself, I'll kill everybody in here,
[39:31] Speaker 1: including you, Professor X.
[39:32] Speaker 4: She destroyed a whole galaxy.
[39:36] Speaker 1: Bro, Professor X knows like we gotta we gotta get her, y'all.
[39:41] Speaker 2: She destroyed a whole galaxy and came back to New
[39:44] Speaker 2: York like nothing.
[39:46] Speaker 3: Father at all.
[39:48] Speaker 2: And then she always just like we know, this is
[39:51] Speaker 2: y'all homegirl, she got to die?
[39:54] Speaker 1: What?
[39:55] Speaker 2: No she No, y'all don't.
[39:58] Speaker 3: Understand they I wasn't trying to hear none of that.
[40:02] Speaker 2: Jean Gray must die. No, No, you don't know her.
[40:08] Speaker 2: We don't give a fuck, bro. She wiped out an
[40:12] Speaker 2: entire galaxy where y'all sitting here thinking, y'all the center
[40:15] Speaker 2: of the goddamn universe. American destroyed the whole galaxy.
[40:23] Speaker 3: No, not my geane, little Jean.
[40:26] Speaker 1: Well, that was my first love triangle in life is
[40:31] Speaker 1: Jean Gray Wolverine Cyclops.
[40:34] Speaker 3: That was when I was a kid.
[40:35] Speaker 1: I was like, oh snap, because she wanted Wolverine, she
[40:39] Speaker 1: had to go with the you know, Cyclops.
[40:41] Speaker 2: Leader Clouds is a safe pick.
[40:43] Speaker 1: QB one come from the rich family. He got health care,
[40:48] Speaker 1: I care wah. And then you also got gambinging rogue.
[40:54] Speaker 3: They got that thing going on that a little triangle
[40:58] Speaker 3: magneto in.
[40:59] Speaker 2: That magneto took a dawn though.
[41:04] Speaker 4: You got in there. The game was like, oh ship.
[41:09] Speaker 3: Yo, do you think mute and women can use their
[41:13] Speaker 3: powers during sex?
[41:15] Speaker 4: Well, rogue, rogue can't even have.
[41:17] Speaker 3: It, no I know her. But like other mutants.
[41:20] Speaker 1: You know, bro, you can't go hand to hand, but
[41:22] Speaker 1: other people, like imagine a mutant kegel that might snap
[41:28] Speaker 1: that that probably feel crazy on that mutant ped because
[41:31] Speaker 1: that kego probably be like, god, dag.
[41:33] Speaker 3: Girl, what you working with?
[41:34] Speaker 2: That pleased me too?
[41:35] Speaker 3: Tight man? You about to snap my hat off? Back
[41:40] Speaker 3: up the gig.
[41:42] Speaker 2: And then you know, because you got you got a
[41:45] Speaker 2: mystique that can turn into any fantasy woman you want.
[41:48] Speaker 1: There you go, you know, but then but that's probably
[41:51] Speaker 1: gonna cause an argument.
[41:52] Speaker 3: That's gonna cause mistake turning the Mexicia.
[41:55] Speaker 2: Like, look what you in the move for tonight.
[41:58] Speaker 3: Now that's some role play.
[41:59] Speaker 4: That's big road player. Everybody else role playing. You get
[42:02] Speaker 4: your little outfit on.
[42:04] Speaker 1: Really who you into? Now that's I probably would never
[42:08] Speaker 1: do that. If I was a mistake, that's you just
[42:11] Speaker 1: asking for an argument. Because even if she do it
[42:14] Speaker 1: later on three weeks later, you forget to take the
[42:17] Speaker 1: trash out. Oh oh, you don't remember to take the
[42:20] Speaker 1: trash out, but you're gonna turn me in the buffet
[42:22] Speaker 1: the body. Now I got to go. Now, I got
[42:25] Speaker 1: to be Buffy the body. And now what you're gonna say.
[42:28] Speaker 1: You said you was cool with it.
[42:29] Speaker 3: I wasn't cool with it. I lied. I just want
[42:32] Speaker 3: to see what you was really into.
[42:34] Speaker 2: What if it was on every just every now and then,
[42:37] Speaker 2: just a different just I never take her up on it.
[42:40] Speaker 3: I would never.
[42:41] Speaker 2: Because it's a traf.
[42:42] Speaker 1: Feel like it's a trap because only if I could
[42:45] Speaker 1: turn into somebody for her.
[42:47] Speaker 3: But if it's just her, she's gonna use that against you.
[42:50] Speaker 2: If you change it to somebody for her, you're not
[42:52] Speaker 2: gonna feel like, oh this would you like?
[42:54] Speaker 3: No?
[42:55] Speaker 1: That's why I would only do it if we both
[42:57] Speaker 1: had the same power both change.
[42:58] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[42:58] Speaker 1: But if I just had laser eyes, I'd be like, nah, girl,
[43:01] Speaker 1: I love you how you are.
[43:02] Speaker 3: In the blue?
[43:03] Speaker 1: You like me blue monster McGee, yep, I like you
[43:07] Speaker 1: all with your skin on the inside of the outside.
[43:09] Speaker 2: Would you be feeling mystique with the the.
[43:12] Speaker 1: Scaly man, watch out? Hell no, man, it looks like
[43:16] Speaker 1: a lizard.
[43:17] Speaker 3: Turn it to something girl.
[43:19] Speaker 2: What if? What if it was the original looking mystique
[43:22] Speaker 2: where she's blue but her skin smooth, her eyes yellow. No,
[43:27] Speaker 2: she still had the I don't know if that was
[43:30] Speaker 2: a costume she was laying, but she still had like stuff.
[43:34] Speaker 2: But like, let's say, her skin is completely smooth, but
[43:36] Speaker 2: it's blue. Her eyes are yellow. Man, that's weird.
[43:42] Speaker 3: You look like a gecko can be regular man? Yellow eyes?
[43:48] Speaker 2: You're trying to yellowaire no iris, man, No full yellow,
[43:56] Speaker 2: full yellow.
[43:56] Speaker 1: You gotta have a kink for to go forth? Like, yeah,
[44:00] Speaker 1: you're looking at her eyes. It ain't no separation or nothing.
[44:03] Speaker 4: It's just a yellow void in her face.
[44:06] Speaker 3: She got spider man eyes, but they yell up man,
[44:08] Speaker 3: watch out.
[44:09] Speaker 2: I'm out feeling.
[44:10] Speaker 1: Hell no, man, turn into something and ain't gotta be famous.
[44:13] Speaker 1: Just turn into a regular time with the smooth skin.
[44:17] Speaker 3: I'm out.
[44:18] Speaker 2: Was a nice about the Blue Lady from the Fifth
[44:21] Speaker 2: Element the Opper singer. You wasn't feeling that.
[44:23] Speaker 3: I don't want blue people, just regular people.
[44:29] Speaker 2: I like the waven stek. Look with the smooth skin scales,
[44:33] Speaker 2: I'm out seals is the way you lose me. The
[44:38] Speaker 2: stick would be a fantastic woman if I ain't looking
[44:40] Speaker 2: for nothing serious. That's the that's the situationship you want
[44:44] Speaker 2: right there. But look, man trying to get tied down
[44:47] Speaker 2: by no woman, I mean any woman you want told.
[44:50] Speaker 2: But let's get it there. Every time I hook up
[44:52] Speaker 2: with you, you're somebody else. That way, I didn't smash
[44:55] Speaker 2: all my fantasy person. The paperwork clears that's true. And
[45:01] Speaker 2: since I'm messing with mystike, I just smash everybody because
[45:04] Speaker 2: I was ever, it was famous, I was Ever.
[45:07] Speaker 3: She gonna use that against you.
[45:08] Speaker 2: Now we were not a couple though even then, she
[45:11] Speaker 2: gonna catch feelings.
[45:13] Speaker 1: You just used me to be anyone. First, I'm this person,
[45:15] Speaker 1: then I'm Galagado, then I'm this, and I'm that.
[45:17] Speaker 4: But you tigned up for this.
[45:19] Speaker 1: You think that works just because you said it. That's
[45:21] Speaker 1: your little stupid thing. I told you straight up.
[45:23] Speaker 3: I told you when they want to tell you straight up,
[45:25] Speaker 3: and then when you do it, they'd.
[45:26] Speaker 2: Be like, how dare you stay fault?
[45:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's your phone for believing that they believe
[45:30] Speaker 1: you when you said it. Now that's the truth. That's
[45:34] Speaker 1: your phone for believing that that was gonna stick with it.
[45:38] Speaker 1: You know she can't do it.
[45:39] Speaker 2: I've told you what you said. I know what I said.
[45:42] Speaker 2: I tell you my mind. Then let me show you
[45:47] Speaker 2: that you can. You can go on to someone else,
[45:49] Speaker 2: but let me show you smooth skins.
[45:51] Speaker 1: This is what the podcast is for, Tom, for us
[45:54] Speaker 1: to talk about whether you would take down smooth skin.
[45:56] Speaker 2: To steik or not.
[45:58] Speaker 1: You want to hear to go see by seat, go
[46:00] Speaker 1: to another podcast. Wouldn't you smash a million woman who
[46:04] Speaker 1: says she turning the other women for you as a
[46:06] Speaker 1: married man.
[46:07] Speaker 3: I would not.
[46:07] Speaker 1: You're not gonna win that argument unless I had memory
[46:09] Speaker 1: of raising powers. Now, now y'all come in on the
[46:13] Speaker 1: underneath and forget you when you start to get mad,
[46:15] Speaker 1: I Rachel, let me see smooth skin the comic book.
[46:22] Speaker 2: Comic book.
[46:23] Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, she I don't think she ever been smooth skinned.
[46:26] Speaker 1: I ain't never seen her. So maybe I'm tripping because
[46:28] Speaker 1: all she was Skelly McGee and I was like, man,
[46:30] Speaker 1: watch out.
[46:31] Speaker 2: Her skin was smooth in the comics historically. All right,
[46:35] Speaker 2: let me be fine, all right, it's one shot.
[46:39] Speaker 3: She got fat buttery this picture.
[46:41] Speaker 2: Don't know where they bootied her up. The skin in
[46:44] Speaker 2: the eyes.
[46:45] Speaker 3: And you know what I'm saying, why did make her
[46:48] Speaker 3: thick in this picture? Let me get you give me
[46:52] Speaker 3: just a thickness out of hand. It's clouding my mind.
[46:55] Speaker 2: She was looking in the comic books. Come on, that's
[46:58] Speaker 2: how the comic book Women was held.
[47:01] Speaker 3: Man, I don't this. I wasn't aware.
[47:05] Speaker 4: That's what she was looking like. She worked in the
[47:07] Speaker 4: comic books.
[47:08] Speaker 2: There was never hips. Yeah, I mean they they always
[47:12] Speaker 2: drew the comic book Women's superheroes. They were stacked up
[47:15] Speaker 2: top man like athletic bide.
[47:20] Speaker 3: Because yeah, probably I would dabble, tell smooth Scale would dabble.
[47:28] Speaker 3: I've never seen this.
[47:30] Speaker 1: I had the scales in my mind first of all
[47:32] Speaker 1: this she was she all right with me, Hey, you
[47:36] Speaker 1: ain't gonna turn into nobody.
[47:38] Speaker 3: I'll take your blue.
[47:39] Speaker 2: I'll take a blue.
[47:39] Speaker 3: I take your blue.
[47:40] Speaker 2: Don't nobody look like you. The only person looked like you.
[47:44] Speaker 4: Was night Crawling.
[47:45] Speaker 2: I ain't smashing.
[47:46] Speaker 1: No, he smells like sulfur. But I wouldn't want to
[47:51] Speaker 1: use that power man because staking but not Crawler was here, man,
[47:55] Speaker 1: that's my y'all know, that's how.
[47:57] Speaker 3: My stuff comes.

[48:09] Speaker 2: If Eachee's with your girl, you walk in got two
[48:16] Speaker 2: times and I know he was it because you know
[48:18] Speaker 2: he's gonna tell the port out. You're gonna say something
[48:23] Speaker 2: in Germany. Get the hell out of there. You're gonna
[48:25] Speaker 2: walk in and smell it.
[48:26] Speaker 3: Send me those I'm gonna make that a clip. Would

[48:32] Speaker 1: Here smelling like a paper meal? Okay, back to the
[48:36] Speaker 1: movie tone? Uh what else did I want to say
[48:41] Speaker 1: about it? I thought the theme was good. I like the theme.
[48:47] Speaker 1: Like what they explored you can't do by yourself. M
[48:50] Speaker 1: J helped him with the getting in him of the
[48:53] Speaker 1: right punisher was necessary, the police, everybody played a role.
[48:58] Speaker 3: You can't do it alone.
[49:00] Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, this is a this is a
[49:02] Speaker 1: good theme to explore for this version of this Spider
[49:05] Speaker 1: Man movie because as a person, and especially as a man,
[49:11] Speaker 1: you who wants to protect your friends and your girl
[49:15] Speaker 1: the villain always want to go you having a sense
[49:17] Speaker 1: it's like, man, I'm the problem. If you just didn't
[49:19] Speaker 1: know me, then you would be safe. And I feel that,
[49:24] Speaker 1: and I feel like I can see myself trying to
[49:26] Speaker 1: be like I'm just going home, be by myself and
[49:28] Speaker 1: just like focus on the work.
[49:30] Speaker 3: But you can't do it like.
[49:32] Speaker 1: You Your loved one's gotta be in perennial danger.
[49:37] Speaker 2: It's just that's just what it is. I can't I
[49:40] Speaker 2: can't protect everybody, just be out here solo dolo. And
[49:42] Speaker 2: still even when I do that, it still don't it don't.
[49:45] Speaker 2: Might as well, just I gotta try some people that
[49:48] Speaker 2: love you back. It's just like we willing to take
[49:50] Speaker 2: the risk.
[49:51] Speaker 3: And that's what it is. That's what love is like.
[49:54] Speaker 1: I don't think most people want to be having super
[49:57] Speaker 1: villains always trying to kill them, but.
[49:59] Speaker 3: Like, man, I love you.
[50:01] Speaker 1: It comes with the territory, comes with the territory. Territory
[50:05] Speaker 1: right now? Where where do you think they go from here?
[50:09] Speaker 1: If you're if you're Marvel, what do you think is next?
[50:12] Speaker 1: Because you got it's the next Marvel movie.
[50:16] Speaker 2: Doomsday. I don't know what. I don't know what they
[50:20] Speaker 2: got in store for Doomsday. I haven't seen any of
[50:22] Speaker 2: the visuals. Again, Yeah, I don't know what I'm walking into,
[50:26] Speaker 2: so that that is probably gonna determine where I would see,
[50:30] Speaker 2: like Spider Man going in the future in terms of
[50:32] Speaker 2: the storyline, wherever they're gonna go, because like the little
[50:35] Speaker 2: end credit scene that gave you nothing, it looked like
[50:38] Speaker 2: he was in and out of space.
[50:40] Speaker 3: But is that was that our Spider Man was a multiverse?
[50:46] Speaker 4: I assumed it was ours. That's what I think it is.
[50:51] Speaker 2: I think it's a Secret Wars tie in.
[50:53] Speaker 3: Oh for sure, if they do.
[50:55] Speaker 2: If they do the Secret Wars premise from the comic
[50:58] Speaker 2: back in the day where.
[50:59] Speaker 3: I don't know about Secret Wars, you got to put
[51:01] Speaker 3: me on.
[51:01] Speaker 2: So his Secret Wars, there was this there was this
[51:03] Speaker 2: guy named the Beyonder and he he transported a bunch
[51:08] Speaker 2: of heroes and villains to a world and that he
[51:11] Speaker 2: created in space and they had to fight. So so
[51:17] Speaker 2: that's that's what Uh, that's what had me thinking, like, oh,
[51:20] Speaker 2: he got transported by the Beyonder. I don't know if
[51:23] Speaker 2: it's Beyond know what they're gonna do, but like God,
[51:25] Speaker 2: if it's Secret Wars, that's where they ended up. And
[51:28] Speaker 2: so that's where he first got the Symbian suit was
[51:32] Speaker 2: during Secret.
[51:32] Speaker 3: Wars Spider Man.
[51:33] Speaker 2: Yeah, really, yeah, it was. It was like issue number
[51:38] Speaker 2: four or five in Secret Wars because it was a
[51:40] Speaker 2: limited series and he had that. That's where he got
[51:43] Speaker 2: the black suit. It was old snap. He was like
[51:45] Speaker 2: on the.
[51:45] Speaker 3: Cover, understood.
[51:47] Speaker 2: And this was before you know, they really tapped into
[51:50] Speaker 2: all the lure of the Symbiant for real. He was
[51:53] Speaker 2: look at this new suit and that suit was fired
[51:55] Speaker 2: like yeah, yeah, Spider Man looked it was and then
[51:59] Speaker 2: they started going into the storyline with the actual.
[52:01] Speaker 4: Suit and what it was doing to him.
[52:02] Speaker 3: Yeah, I love that. So yeah, cartoon.
[52:04] Speaker 1: I didn't catch the comic books, but they did the
[52:06] Speaker 1: carcass on the cartoon.
[52:09] Speaker 2: But Secret Wars was dope. And so if they are
[52:12] Speaker 2: doing it like that and then we're going to the Battle
[52:14] Speaker 2: World or whatever, that's probably why he ended up in space.
[52:18] Speaker 1: They just got transported, Okay, So as long as they're
[52:20] Speaker 1: not multiversing it up, I'm good.
[52:22] Speaker 4: Yeah, it wasn't the multiverse type thing.
[52:24] Speaker 2: Man, I'm taking all y'all here.
[52:26] Speaker 4: And then doctor Doune was trying to Plock and the harness.
[52:29] Speaker 3: This Doctor Doom. Man, you ain't seen the trailer.
[52:32] Speaker 2: I ain't seen nothing.
[52:33] Speaker 3: I'm not gonna tell you. Doctor Doom used to be
[52:35] Speaker 3: my favorite building, really I had.
[52:39] Speaker 1: Doctor Doom was one of the few toys my mom
[52:42] Speaker 1: actually got me the actual toy of Now I have
[52:44] Speaker 1: nothing else but Doctor dooman he had the helmet on
[52:47] Speaker 1: Victor von Doom. I was tapped in. So when they
[52:51] Speaker 1: announced that, I was like, Man.
[52:53] Speaker 4: Yes they do it if they do them correctly, man.
[52:56] Speaker 3: And I think they might be back. I feel like
[52:59] Speaker 3: Marvel fun for a man.
[53:04] Speaker 2: Direction they have.
[53:05] Speaker 3: It's been some years.
[53:08] Speaker 1: They've been fumble McGee, but I feel like the Spider
[53:12] Speaker 1: Man movie was great. I've got high hopes for Doomsday,
[53:17] Speaker 1: even higher hopes for Secret Wards.
[53:18] Speaker 2: I think they just just scraped all series. I think so.
[53:23] Speaker 2: I think I know we pissed off as Blacks because
[53:26] Speaker 2: they canceled Wonder Man.
[53:27] Speaker 4: They can, but I feel like I don't want them
[53:30] Speaker 4: one serious.
[53:31] Speaker 1: That's where I feel like they lost. They was doing
[53:33] Speaker 1: too much. It was too much to consume for the viewer.
[53:38] Speaker 1: They were not all well done enough to continue, but
[53:42] Speaker 1: the Tians were there, so I felt like it weakened
[53:46] Speaker 1: it weakened the thing. I feel like, scrap do the series,
[53:51] Speaker 1: but it's not connected to what you're doing.
[53:53] Speaker 2: Like I did like what they were doing with Dared Devil,
[53:55] Speaker 2: The Punisher Jessica Jones, and I enjoyed Luke Cage too.
[54:00] Speaker 1: I like those series were fine, and that's because it's
[54:03] Speaker 1: not connected.
[54:04] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[54:05] Speaker 3: That wasn't really MCU though, No, that was that was.
[54:07] Speaker 2: You At the time. It felt different, so I was
[54:10] Speaker 2: really enjoying it once they started with Scarlet Witch and
[54:13] Speaker 2: Vision and then even though I didn't like that one though,
[54:16] Speaker 2: I did like it. But at first I was like, man,
[54:18] Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. And then I started finding
[54:19] Speaker 2: myself just trailing off as I was watching it.
[54:22] Speaker 1: I was just on midway through episode three of so
[54:25] Speaker 1: many of those. I was like, all right, and I
[54:27] Speaker 1: got up enough to living.
[54:28] Speaker 2: No no pause, no rewind, just.
[54:32] Speaker 1: I got up and walked out of that Captain America thing,
[54:37] Speaker 1: Captain Falcon.
[54:38] Speaker 2: Or whatever the Falcon is. Man.
[54:40] Speaker 3: I never thought about it again.
[54:42] Speaker 4: I got like I was watching stuff.
[54:44] Speaker 2: It was just no Moonnight. It was just like I
[54:46] Speaker 2: was watching it, but there was no real emotion.
[54:49] Speaker 3: No I was I was like, I don't care.
[54:51] Speaker 4: So it's just like, yo, man, just just do movies.
[54:55] Speaker 4: Just just cut the ship.
[54:58] Speaker 1: So you know, even though I enjoy wonder Man, wonder
[55:01] Speaker 1: Man was good, good, and I'm telling you it really,
[55:05] Speaker 1: but I got I got enough of him from that
[55:08] Speaker 1: throw him in the movie.
[55:09] Speaker 2: I'm invested. Given it. If everybody had their own movie,
[55:12] Speaker 2: I'm back invested because I'm a watching movie.
[55:15] Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, for sure, for sure.
[55:16] Speaker 1: Series though, man you got you got the whole man.
[55:20] Speaker 3: It's hard to hold me yes.
[55:23] Speaker 1: And I feel like when you cancel a show after
[55:26] Speaker 1: one season, I don't even want to go if I
[55:28] Speaker 1: missed it, I'm just like, oh, y'all don't believe in it.
[55:30] Speaker 1: I don't even feel like going back and watching the
[55:32] Speaker 1: point they said, get this black stuff the hell out
[55:34] Speaker 1: of here, Blade, wonder Man, get get.
[55:39] Speaker 2: It off Blade. I really can't fathom how they just
[55:43] Speaker 2: are not doing it, Like what are y'all thinking? And
[55:47] Speaker 2: then the cool part is the original writer director now
[55:54] Speaker 2: him and Maharschal. I got that movie coming out.
[55:55] Speaker 3: Your Mother, Your Mother, Your Mother.
[55:57] Speaker 2: That proved because people are trying to trying to say
[55:59] Speaker 2: like it was Mhersa, he just getting incid. This proves
[56:02] Speaker 2: that it wasn't.
[56:03] Speaker 1: Him, and I'm I'm so glad for social media because
[56:07] Speaker 1: twenty years ago, thirty years ago, Mahershall had never been
[56:10] Speaker 1: able to correct this. But because of social media. He
[56:13] Speaker 1: was like, man, y'all had a billion dollars. If y'all
[56:15] Speaker 1: wanted to do blade, y'all would have. Because Kevin Faggy
[56:18] Speaker 1: was like, I feel like such a loser that I
[56:20] Speaker 1: wasn't able to get it, and Marshall was like.
[56:22] Speaker 3: Man, watch y'au. If y'all y'all wanted to do it,
[56:25] Speaker 3: y'all would have done. It was seven years, they said.
[56:29] Speaker 2: I didn't even know it was that long. I never
[56:30] Speaker 2: felt that long because they teased him in The Eternals
[56:36] Speaker 2: twenty one and then.
[56:37] Speaker 1: They brought Wesley back in the dead Pool woverine, so
[56:41] Speaker 1: we were like, okay, and it was like they did
[56:44] Speaker 1: Comic Con, they did the big announcement, so I was
[56:47] Speaker 1: like just waiting. Maybe it was Sinners. Maybe when Sinners happened,
[56:52] Speaker 1: they was like, all right, man, man, part of stuff,
[56:54] Speaker 1: we ain't gonna do it better than Ryan. Let's just
[56:55] Speaker 1: move off it.
[56:57] Speaker 4: That would have made it pop even more.
[56:59] Speaker 1: Man agreed Maharshala, Sam, I mean I spent a year
[57:02] Speaker 1: and some change practicing the swords stuff, and I'm just
[57:06] Speaker 1: using it in this.
[57:06] Speaker 2: I was looking forward to seeing him as Blade. It
[57:09] Speaker 2: made me the casting was fantastic.
[57:11] Speaker 3: Who was supposed to be there, I don't know.
[57:13] Speaker 4: I don't know about him him his blade.
[57:16] Speaker 1: I was looking forward to that because he just looks cool.
[57:19] Speaker 1: He just looks cool.
[57:21] Speaker 2: I can see him as as a daywalking vampire human hybrid. Yes,
[57:26] Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying.
[57:29] Speaker 4: I think it's not over with Mahershela.
[57:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, do you really think so?
[57:35] Speaker 2: I don't think it. I don't think it's over over.
[57:37] Speaker 2: They're gonn But I would love I would love to.
[57:41] Speaker 2: I want that movie My Mother, my Mother, my Mother.
[57:43] Speaker 2: I want that to do well. Yeah, I want everybody
[57:45] Speaker 2: to load up. Let's get that movie a high gross.
[57:50] Speaker 2: Marvel could be like fuck, I want that movie to
[57:57] Speaker 2: load up because the movie like that, it looks like
[58:01] Speaker 2: it's it's probably gonna be gritty. Movies like that generally
[58:05] Speaker 2: don't do that much box office for sure, especially if
[58:08] Speaker 2: it's gonna be rated.
[58:09] Speaker 3: All yeah, they'll get there.
[58:10] Speaker 2: We can go in there and get them numbers brewing
[58:12] Speaker 2: to a nice height because the budgets the budget is
[58:14] Speaker 2: probably modest, Yeah, for sure, so we probably look at
[58:18] Speaker 2: thirty forty million.
[58:19] Speaker 1: And I can't wait to Ryan Pictures, so I know
[58:21] Speaker 1: they ain't spending They already got there. If you come
[58:26] Speaker 1: over here on uh boosters, what they're Ryan to Nah? No,
[58:33] Speaker 1: they're Neon. I think they're Neon.
[58:34] Speaker 2: Okay, who they get?
[58:36] Speaker 3: The buncket gone Orion?
[58:37] Speaker 4: Orion went out. They they went out of business.
[58:40] Speaker 2: That's what I felt like.
[58:41] Speaker 3: They was gone.
[58:41] Speaker 2: They was cracking in the eighties because RoboCop was Ryan, Yeah,
[58:45] Speaker 2: and then they just was taking al after L after L.
[58:48] Speaker 2: So it was just like, we're trying to come back.
[58:51] Speaker 2: Got is is Orian?
[58:52] Speaker 3: That's what it was. I was like, I just seen
[58:54] Speaker 3: the movie that was Do Well. No, did you see it?
[58:57] Speaker 2: That's all?
[58:58] Speaker 3: What do you think?
[58:59] Speaker 2: I like it? Yeah? I like it. I didn't love it,
[59:01] Speaker 2: but I liked it.
[59:02] Speaker 1: They're owned by Amazon, That's what I was like. I know,
[59:04] Speaker 1: I just saw them. Yeah, they I'm sure they.
[59:07] Speaker 2: Not spending crazy brig and MGM is also involved, which
[59:12] Speaker 2: is another company to get his ass kick. So it's
[59:16] Speaker 2: two companies together, ass Kick the enterprises coming together. So
[59:21] Speaker 2: I'm sure the budget is gonna be modest. We just
[59:24] Speaker 2: gotta show up and just put that money.
[59:25] Speaker 3: I'm gonna show up.
[59:26] Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't care what Ride Tomato saying.
[59:29] Speaker 4: I need to see it for myself. I'll be there up,
[59:32] Speaker 4: I'm putting the money up.
[59:35] Speaker 1: All right, let's rank them, toll. I want you to
[59:37] Speaker 1: rank them because I can't think. I can't separate them. Okay,
[59:40] Speaker 1: if we're doing, I want you to rank all the
[59:43] Speaker 1: Spider Man movies. I'm ranking them by myself, by yourself,
[59:47] Speaker 1: because I ain't gonna tell you hold your tone. I
[59:49] Speaker 1: can't separate band New Day, Old School Day, Homecoming, Homecoming,
[59:52] Speaker 1: Return Man, watch Out. There is one big great movie.
[59:56] Speaker 1: I can't tell you which, which is who?
[59:58] Speaker 2: All right?
[59:58] Speaker 1: Tony Banker ranks all the Spider Man movies, including the
[1:00:03] Speaker 1: animated ones.
[1:00:04] Speaker 2: Yes, let's do it all right, Coming in Last, Amazing
[1:00:09] Speaker 2: Spider Man two, It's coming in Last. They had good moments.
[1:00:14] Speaker 2: The death of Gwen Stacey hit hard. Yeah, but it
[1:00:19] Speaker 2: was just a case of too many villains doing too much.
[1:00:22] Speaker 2: Jamie crooked glasses.
[1:00:24] Speaker 1: I about threw myself on through the screen. Well, I
[1:00:30] Speaker 1: fix your glasses Man.
[1:00:32] Speaker 3: Watch Out, And I love Jamie Fox.
[1:00:35] Speaker 1: I love Jamie f I don't blame Jamie, but I
[1:00:38] Speaker 1: hated that, Okay.
[1:00:39] Speaker 2: So amazing. Spider Man two just had too many, too
[1:00:42] Speaker 2: many cons on it to be any higher than anything else.
[1:00:46] Speaker 2: So I'm gonna put that last all right right above that.
[1:00:51] Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Spider Man three, and there you go
[1:00:55] Speaker 2: this whole and then that scene. The loan might have
[1:01:01] Speaker 2: this put it at twenty even though it't even nearly
[1:01:05] Speaker 2: that Manuye Spider Man movie. But I did like elements
[1:01:08] Speaker 2: of this one. I liked the Sandman element. Yeah, he
[1:01:11] Speaker 2: was great. He was a great cast, yes he was.
[1:01:13] Speaker 2: His storyline was great, the special effects was great. I
[1:01:16] Speaker 2: like the fights that he had with Sam Man. But
[1:01:18] Speaker 2: they completely ship the bed with Venom. Copah Grace's Venom
[1:01:23] Speaker 2: was a bad casting.
[1:01:24] Speaker 3: Eddie Brock is a big dude, big dude.
[1:01:27] Speaker 2: It was his whole thing. I didn't like the way
[1:01:29] Speaker 2: Venom looked in that movie. I didn't like his teeth
[1:01:31] Speaker 2: when he would when the when the cymbia was separating
[1:01:34] Speaker 2: and he talked with those teeth.
[1:01:35] Speaker 4: It was stupid.
[1:01:38] Speaker 2: Just half his face be regular like in the comic
[1:01:40] Speaker 2: book when when the symbia spreads out. Eddie Brock staying
[1:01:43] Speaker 2: in there talking regularly. He didn't have no venom teeth. No,
[1:01:48] Speaker 2: we I'm gonna separate off, but I'm gonna you're gonna
[1:01:51] Speaker 2: keep my teeth. Is not gonna do that. Keep my teeth, Man,
[1:01:56] Speaker 2: keep my teeth. Stupid choice, And I feel like Sam
[1:02:01] Speaker 2: Rainley just sabotaged it because he wasn't a fan of venom.
[1:02:03] Speaker 3: Yes I did.
[1:02:05] Speaker 2: I did kind of like the Harry Osborne element, not Harry, Yeah, Harry,
[1:02:10] Speaker 2: Harry's the Son. I did kind of like that one,
[1:02:13] Speaker 2: but Spider Man three just had too many issues with
[1:02:16] Speaker 2: it for me to place it any higher. Next up,
[1:02:19] Speaker 2: I'm coming with Spider Man. Far from Home. That's where
[1:02:25] Speaker 2: the Spider Man was overseas he was fighting the stereo Jay.
[1:02:29] Speaker 2: Jonllenhall was fine as Mysterio and some of the some
[1:02:31] Speaker 2: of the images was dope and far from Home, but
[1:02:35] Speaker 2: it didn't really stick with me like.
[1:02:38] Speaker 1: Of the Spider Man Tom Hollands, it was the least
[1:02:42] Speaker 1: of it.
[1:02:43] Speaker 4: Didn't really stick with me like that.
[1:02:45] Speaker 2: It was fun, it was cool, and all these movies
[1:02:49] Speaker 2: Man Spider Man doesn't have a complete I hate this movie.
[1:02:53] Speaker 4: He just doesn't.
[1:02:54] Speaker 3: No, no, no, I read that I hate parts.
[1:02:57] Speaker 2: I hate parts of there's always something that's good or
[1:03:00] Speaker 2: I like Andrew Garfield the whole time. I like and
[1:03:03] Speaker 2: I never had any complaint on Andrew Garfield. I like
[1:03:05] Speaker 2: Emma Stonas when Stacy, but it was it was just
[1:03:09] Speaker 2: a villain issue in the story issue that so so
[1:03:12] Speaker 2: we got, so we got last Amazing Spider Man two,
[1:03:18] Speaker 2: Spider Man three, Spider Man Far from Home.
[1:03:21] Speaker 4: Next up, I'm going.
[1:03:25] Speaker 2: I'll go, I guess, uh Brandon Day, I'm gonna go
[1:03:33] Speaker 2: Amazing Spider Man original Toby No Garfield. So I'm gonna
[1:03:39] Speaker 2: go Amazing Spider Man next. I like Andrew Garfield. The
[1:03:43] Speaker 2: Lizard was a cool villain. I like how it was
[1:03:46] Speaker 2: just one villain connor I like, I liked, I like
[1:03:51] Speaker 2: some of the I love Andrew Garfield's in costume work,
[1:03:54] Speaker 2: and he might still might be my favorite in costume.
[1:03:59] Speaker 1: In costume was my favorite Toby was Uh, I mean
[1:04:05] Speaker 1: he just has a nostalgia and all that. But prior
[1:04:08] Speaker 1: to this, before Tom took over, But I think in
[1:04:10] Speaker 1: costume Andrew Garfer he was a little moody, angst teen, angsty.
[1:04:14] Speaker 1: He was he was Robert Pattinson and the Batman but
[1:04:20] Speaker 1: that Spider Man.
[1:04:21] Speaker 4: But man once he got.
[1:04:22] Speaker 2: He got the costume he had was by fall the
[1:04:25] Speaker 2: silliest one.
[1:04:25] Speaker 1: And that's why I like the most about Spider Man,
[1:04:27] Speaker 1: Like he got the silliness and the young and the
[1:04:29] Speaker 1: sarcast Spider Spider Man is very sarcastic and.
[1:04:32] Speaker 2: Funny for sure.
[1:04:33] Speaker 1: And and and he would he would like troll and
[1:04:36] Speaker 1: piss off his villains. So that was part of his
[1:04:38] Speaker 1: because he getting whooped, so he would always keep them
[1:04:41] Speaker 1: off their square by trolling. I feel like Andrew Garfer
[1:04:44] Speaker 1: did the best that. Yeah, he was so good at that.
[1:04:47] Speaker 2: He was some I'm gonna put that up next. Then
[1:04:53] Speaker 2: what numbers there?
[1:04:54] Speaker 1: So that's yeah, I think that's yeah. If you include
[1:04:59] Speaker 1: the animated it's eleven.
[1:05:00] Speaker 2: Okay, So so that's number was the seven. So eleven
[1:05:04] Speaker 2: is Amazing Spider Man, two, ten is Spider Man. Three,
[1:05:09] Speaker 2: nine is far from Home, so eight would be the
[1:05:14] Speaker 2: Amazing Spider Man. So number seven, there's still seven films.
[1:05:18] Speaker 3: Least, I'm gonna pull it up. Okay.
[1:05:20] Speaker 1: It's it's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight nine, ten.
[1:05:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's eleven, eleven, so we're looking at number seven
[1:05:28] Speaker 2: up next. Yep so number seven, I'm gonna go with
[1:05:32] Speaker 2: Spider Man home Coming.
[1:05:34] Speaker 1: Okay, that's the first one. That's the first one with Tom.
[1:05:36] Speaker 1: First one. Okay, so I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go
[1:05:38] Speaker 1: with Spider Man Homecoming. I like, uh, I like Tom
[1:05:44] Speaker 1: as Spider Man. A little too much iron Man for me. Yeah,
[1:05:48] Speaker 1: there was, there was. He was featured on the mixtape. Yeah,
[1:05:51] Speaker 1: there was, Like we gonna heavily.
[1:05:53] Speaker 2: Yeah, it was too much iron Man.
[1:05:54] Speaker 3: We're not sure about this and we needed to make
[1:05:57] Speaker 3: it work.
[1:05:57] Speaker 2: He is getting too much, you know, handouts a little extra.
[1:06:01] Speaker 3: Which is cool, and I'm just like, man, I feel.
[1:06:03] Speaker 2: You Spider Man out here in the streets, you know
[1:06:06] Speaker 2: what I'm saying. But I loved Michael Keaton as the Vulture.
[1:06:10] Speaker 2: He's my favorite.
[1:06:11] Speaker 1: Uh, He's my favorite of the Tom Holland universe because
[1:06:15] Speaker 1: he was local Magee, very local meaning that's a zip
[1:06:21] Speaker 1: code villain.
[1:06:22] Speaker 4: Very local with valid beef.
[1:06:24] Speaker 3: With valid beef. And Michael Keaton was great. That's the Vulture.
[1:06:28] Speaker 1: I was like, I like this low steaks, like the
[1:06:31] Speaker 1: stakes are high for Spider Man, but in the scheme
[1:06:34] Speaker 1: of the universe, very low. Everybody can't be Avengerance level,
[1:06:37] Speaker 1: the world is ending, chords, cities are falling like sometimes
[1:06:42] Speaker 1: just that disgruntled employe.
[1:06:43] Speaker 2: And then that applied to us where yeah he was
[1:06:45] Speaker 2: dating his daughter. That was just ma.
[1:06:47] Speaker 4: The're a scene in the car. It's great fire.
[1:06:50] Speaker 2: So I'm gonna go home coming, Okay, all right, so
[1:06:53] Speaker 2: number six, it's still that many Spider Man.
[1:06:57] Speaker 1: Let but I guess you got two more of the time, No,
[1:07:01] Speaker 1: one more of that time, one more time. Yeah, and
[1:07:03] Speaker 1: you got one more Toby and then you got the
[1:07:05] Speaker 1: animated ones, so.
[1:07:08] Speaker 2: I should be on that should have been number five.
[1:07:10] Speaker 2: Then I just did No, I got two more Toby's.
[1:07:14] Speaker 1: Two more Toby and the first so number number so
[1:07:18] Speaker 1: number six, so number six is Spider Man.
[1:07:23] Speaker 2: First Toby. I'm gonna go with Spider Man next. That
[1:07:27] Speaker 2: just set the stage for everything.
[1:07:30] Speaker 3: Still my favorite, Getting the Powers.
[1:07:32] Speaker 2: Getting this Getting the Powers was great, My favorite one
[1:07:35] Speaker 2: him figure figuring everything out, trying to learn everything, like they.
[1:07:39] Speaker 1: Did a little not to that in this one when
[1:07:41] Speaker 1: he was doing the organic web, but they didn't stay
[1:07:44] Speaker 1: in it long.
[1:07:45] Speaker 3: But I was like, that was a nice little wing.
[1:07:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, a little quick wing, a little quick win. Yeah.
[1:07:49] Speaker 2: I like the I like the friendship between him and Harry,
[1:07:52] Speaker 2: the dynamic between Harry and Norman, dynamic between Peter and Norman.
[1:07:57] Speaker 2: William Dafoe was absolutely bad, perfect as the Green Goblin.
[1:08:02] Speaker 1: The mask on the hanging up one of my favorite means.
[1:08:07] Speaker 2: William Dufoe was fantastic Green Goblin and you know, for
[1:08:13] Speaker 2: it to just be the jump off period, it's still dope.
[1:08:16] Speaker 3: Yeah, that was good.
[1:08:17] Speaker 2: I've never been a fan of the mask of Green
[1:08:20] Speaker 2: Goblin because it's just so stationary, but.
[1:08:24] Speaker 1: It was so good when it was talking to him,
[1:08:26] Speaker 1: it felt like it had a little bit of character
[1:08:28] Speaker 1: because it was already like molded, so he's like and
[1:08:31] Speaker 1: I like the Green in the cartoon.
[1:08:33] Speaker 3: I love the.
[1:08:34] Speaker 1: Hobgoblin, Green Goblin. I never loved those characters. I loved
[1:08:40] Speaker 1: the glider aspect and all the like pumpkins and all
[1:08:45] Speaker 1: that stuff, and using the glider. I was like, this
[1:08:48] Speaker 1: is a cool villain. Spider Man villains were always interesting
[1:08:51] Speaker 1: to me.
[1:08:51] Speaker 2: Spider Man has some of the best villains in Marvel
[1:08:54] Speaker 2: X Men two because Green Goblin is different Spider Man.
[1:09:00] Speaker 1: Yes, No, I don't like that. We got the same
[1:09:03] Speaker 1: power hours all the time.
[1:09:05] Speaker 2: They do that later on with Venom and I do
[1:09:07] Speaker 2: love Venom, but Green Gotland is just different. I like that. Yeah,
[1:09:12] Speaker 2: it's just like even when he one of my favorite
[1:09:14] Speaker 2: Spider Man villains is Doctor Octopus. Though it's great, but
[1:09:19] Speaker 2: uh but yeah, Spider Man, Spider Man. Next, alright, so
[1:09:23] Speaker 2: we were number five.
[1:09:25] Speaker 3: Now the numbers are throwing me off. Okay, yeah, five left.
[1:09:28] Speaker 4: I got five left, so now we're in the top five.
[1:09:32] Speaker 3: Okay, how you got five left?
[1:09:34] Speaker 2: So we got the two animated? We got no, that
[1:09:39] Speaker 2: was number five?
[1:09:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, four left, four left. Man, I'm having an aneurysm.
[1:09:45] Speaker 1: I don't even know how you're keeping Spider Man two.
[1:09:47] Speaker 2: We still got the two animated, and we got brand
[1:09:49] Speaker 2: new days. Yeah, four, So all right, so that was
[1:09:51] Speaker 2: number five, Yes, okay, next up, I'm gonna go with
[1:09:59] Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with what's the name of the second
[1:10:04] Speaker 2: animated Across across the Spider versus, I would say I
[1:10:09] Speaker 2: would put that in fullard.
[1:10:10] Speaker 3: You got a brand new day above the animated.
[1:10:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, simply because it was so much going on and
[1:10:19] Speaker 2: across the Spider Verse that I was getting overwhelmed a
[1:10:22] Speaker 2: lot of the times. It was just visually and just
[1:10:25] Speaker 2: like the powers that he was fighting against, I was
[1:10:29] Speaker 2: just like, yo, this is this is crazy.
[1:10:30] Speaker 4: It was just an overload.
[1:10:32] Speaker 1: Of stuff going on that that's crazy. Yeah. I was
[1:10:37] Speaker 1: into and across are one two for me. Oh they're
[1:10:40] Speaker 1: they're great though, Yeah, but they did I will. I
[1:10:43] Speaker 1: disagree with you on the order, but I do agree
[1:10:45] Speaker 1: with you. You had the spot guy, you had the
[1:10:48] Speaker 1: internal villain.
[1:10:49] Speaker 3: It was a lot.
[1:10:50] Speaker 2: It was a lot.
[1:10:51] Speaker 1: It was over and then you also had Miles Morales
[1:10:53] Speaker 1: and on the other side, who was kind of like
[1:10:56] Speaker 1: the final the Act three villain with the corn Rows,
[1:10:58] Speaker 1: which is a good satur I.
[1:11:00] Speaker 2: Was overloaded though. I was just like it was great though,
[1:11:05] Speaker 2: it was great, but I was just like a little
[1:11:07] Speaker 2: bit overwhelmed with everything that was going on. Yeah. I
[1:11:10] Speaker 2: was just damn man, all right, all right, but I
[1:11:13] Speaker 2: loved it though. Then I'm gonna go.
[1:11:16] Speaker 3: You did Far from Home?
[1:11:18] Speaker 2: Yeah? Far from Home?
[1:11:19] Speaker 3: Was like, okay, got you, got you?
[1:11:23] Speaker 2: So then I'm gonna go, uh, brand new day, Brand
[1:11:27] Speaker 2: new day is next man, because brand new day.
[1:11:30] Speaker 1: Man.
[1:11:30] Speaker 2: I don't have a lot of notes, man, any notes
[1:11:32] Speaker 2: I would have would just be super nitpicky. The story
[1:11:35] Speaker 2: was easy to follow. The stakes were Lord did you
[1:11:38] Speaker 2: do no Way Home?
[1:11:40] Speaker 4: That's what's missing.
[1:11:41] Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like you didn't do so.
[1:11:45] Speaker 4: I just said number five, no way home.
[1:11:48] Speaker 3: There you go.
[1:11:49] Speaker 2: Number five is.
[1:11:50] Speaker 3: No way home. Who's the feeling? No way home?
[1:11:52] Speaker 2: Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, everybody, everybody was everything.
[1:11:56] Speaker 3: So it was a lot. It was a cheat code
[1:12:00] Speaker 3: re Spider Man.
[1:12:01] Speaker 2: No Way Home is the cheat code.
[1:12:02] Speaker 3: Yeah, but you know, sometimes you cheat the win, but the.
[1:12:05] Speaker 2: Cheat code paid off for sure. Everything and everything in
[1:12:08] Speaker 2: this top five is top tier. Yeah, I'm gonna go
[1:12:12] Speaker 2: no Way Home because it was just it was a
[1:12:15] Speaker 2: lot going on, again, but a lot going on.
[1:12:17] Speaker 4: Green Goblin was fantastic.
[1:12:20] Speaker 1: Yeah again, yeahs been great.
[1:12:23] Speaker 2: In the midst of everything that was going on, he
[1:12:27] Speaker 2: was like, I'm about to steal this whole goddamn movie
[1:12:31] Speaker 2: and the whole the whole scene the Spider Man together
[1:12:34] Speaker 2: was was great.
[1:12:35] Speaker 3: That was so good.
[1:12:37] Speaker 2: But that multiverse stuff, man, we was multiverse.
[1:12:40] Speaker 1: I feel like we were multiverse exhausted. It it was
[1:12:49] Speaker 1: everything was multiverse and the series we were watching with multiverse.
[1:12:53] Speaker 1: I was multiverse out. Yea, I was multi verse out.
[1:12:58] Speaker 2: And that's that's why I have to then across the
[1:13:01] Speaker 2: Spider Verse because it's more of that now. We got
[1:13:04] Speaker 2: these Spider Man from different you know, verses coming in.
[1:13:07] Speaker 2: Man overlook see.
[1:13:09] Speaker 3: That one was good because it was.
[1:13:12] Speaker 1: But what I liked about that one is they kind
[1:13:14] Speaker 1: of tricked me because I didn't realize what was happening
[1:13:18] Speaker 1: the mom and he didn't realize he was in a
[1:13:20] Speaker 1: different Earth. But I get you if you knock it,
[1:13:23] Speaker 1: I don't agree, but I understand. It was just like
[1:13:26] Speaker 1: Rodney King at that time, ten years later, ten years
[1:13:30] Speaker 1: before probably doesn't nothing.
[1:13:32] Speaker 3: I'm sorry, not Rodney King.
[1:13:34] Speaker 1: OJ's trial happening right after Rodney King was like that
[1:13:39] Speaker 1: timing helped OJ. The multiverse timing hurt this movie because
[1:13:45] Speaker 1: everything was multiverse. Everywhere you look, it was multiverse multiverse.
[1:13:50] Speaker 1: It's like the office start of the documentary was great.
[1:13:53] Speaker 1: Then everything became a documentary and it was like, Okay,
[1:13:56] Speaker 1: now I'm tired of this.
[1:13:57] Speaker 3: Even though Parks and Rec was good, It's just like, all.
[1:14:00] Speaker 2: Right, Spider Verse is fantastic, but it's great and it
[1:14:05] Speaker 2: feels incomplete. Yeah, it feels incomplete. You get dang for
[1:14:09] Speaker 2: feeling incomplete.
[1:14:10] Speaker 3: But I just love those two man.
[1:14:12] Speaker 2: You don't really get dang for feeling incomplete all the
[1:14:14] Speaker 2: time because I feel like Infinity War is like my
[1:14:16] Speaker 2: favorite movie. Yeah, and that's incomplete. But the but the cliffhanger,
[1:14:23] Speaker 2: just the cliffhanger in Infinity War felt final.
[1:14:28] Speaker 1: Well, the other part about it is the follow up
[1:14:31] Speaker 1: happened quicker. The third Spider Verse movie was supposed to
[1:14:36] Speaker 1: come out the next March. We still we're we are
[1:14:40] Speaker 1: losing a little bit of a luster in time. I
[1:14:43] Speaker 1: feel like Infinity War felt like the middle part of
[1:14:46] Speaker 1: two movies, but with a complete end. Oh we lost,
[1:14:52] Speaker 1: and it picks right back up and then they call
[1:14:54] Speaker 1: out the next summer. So it felt like, oh we
[1:14:57] Speaker 1: and then it delivered. So across it it was a big, incomplete.
[1:15:03] Speaker 2: And big cliffhanger, big cliff.
[1:15:06] Speaker 3: And it's been it's been a minute because.
[1:15:11] Speaker 4: Because Infinity War, that's the end.
[1:15:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, even though it's a cliffhanger, because we know something
[1:15:17] Speaker 2: else is coming. Thamos completed his mission for sure.
[1:15:21] Speaker 1: If you never saw that, the next movie movie could
[1:15:24] Speaker 1: have ended there. If y'all lost, it would have just
[1:15:26] Speaker 1: been a movie where the heroes lose.
[1:15:27] Speaker 2: The hero's loss.
[1:15:28] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:15:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, So Infinity War felt more complete. This is this
[1:15:32] Speaker 2: is pure cliffhanger, yes, all right, So so that's for
[1:15:36] Speaker 2: Across the Spider Verse, and then Brand New Day. M hmm.
[1:15:42] Speaker 2: I'm putting Brand New Day ahead of Across the Spider
[1:15:44] Speaker 2: Verse just because it was just it was easier for
[1:15:49] Speaker 2: me to sit into. Uh we already talked about Brand
[1:15:52] Speaker 2: New Day, so I don't need to go.
[1:15:53] Speaker 1: But also, fourth, the fourth sequel being your favorite is
[1:15:57] Speaker 1: really good movie making. It's usually sequels drop, oh for sure.
[1:16:01] Speaker 1: I think they got the benefit of good movies, and
[1:16:04] Speaker 1: then the weight of those movies makes the fourth one
[1:16:07] Speaker 1: a good movie.
[1:16:08] Speaker 2: The only only other franchise lood be like Man four
[1:16:10] Speaker 2: is my favorite, be like Rocky Rocky.
[1:16:14] Speaker 3: Rocky four is a lot of people's favorite.
[1:16:16] Speaker 4: Fast five is my favorite, Fast and Furious and that's
[1:16:19] Speaker 4: the fourth movie that's that's a fit, is it?
[1:16:23] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[1:16:24] Speaker 3: Where do they get the numbers wrong? Fast nine was
[1:16:27] Speaker 3: ten or something.
[1:16:28] Speaker 2: It's Fast five, Fast and Furious six, Fast Furious seven,
[1:16:33] Speaker 2: Fast eight Fate. Well Favorite Furious was.
[1:16:39] Speaker 4: Eight f nine and then Fast X is ten.
[1:16:44] Speaker 3: Oh no, they did get right.
[1:16:45] Speaker 2: I'm tripping. Bad Boys is the one that fumble Bad
[1:16:49] Speaker 2: Boys for Life.
[1:16:50] Speaker 3: Was That's what it was, that was right there?
[1:16:54] Speaker 2: All right? Number two, I'm gonna go with Spider Man two.
[1:17:00] Speaker 2: Spider Man two is still edged out as my favorite
[1:17:04] Speaker 2: live action Spider Man movie. The stakes are are local, localized.
[1:17:10] Speaker 2: It's just doc. Doc Dock was a great villain, great story,
[1:17:14] Speaker 2: great purpose form. You feel bad for them, but at
[1:17:18] Speaker 2: the same time, it's just like yo, man, Yeah, you
[1:17:20] Speaker 2: have to stop man. The stakes were there, the fights
[1:17:23] Speaker 2: were fantastic. Yeah.
[1:17:26] Speaker 4: So I think Spider Man two is still fire.
[1:17:32] Speaker 1: Okay, So for the clip, give me him in order?
[1:17:35] Speaker 1: Do you need to write them down because I need
[1:17:36] Speaker 1: to be under three minutes. Give me a little piece
[1:17:38] Speaker 1: just for the clip. So my my bottom of the top,
[1:17:42] Speaker 1: bottom of the top, don't forget you need to write
[1:17:44] Speaker 1: it down.
[1:17:45] Speaker 2: I got it, I got it locked in all right.
[1:17:47] Speaker 1: Tony Baker is gonna rank all eleven Spider Man movies
[1:17:51] Speaker 1: in order from eleven to one after seeing Brand New
[1:17:55] Speaker 1: Day Go.
[1:17:56] Speaker 2: All right, so number eleven, I'm going with The Amazing
[1:17:59] Speaker 2: Spider Man too. It was just too many cooks in
[1:18:02] Speaker 2: the kitchen. It was just all over the place.
[1:18:04] Speaker 4: I loved Andrew Garfield though, So that's last.
[1:18:07] Speaker 2: Coming in at number ten, I'm gonna go Spider Man three.
[1:18:11] Speaker 2: They fumbled the ball, they fumbled Venom. This dark corny
[1:18:17] Speaker 2: Peter Parker was just absolute ass because an ass choice.
[1:18:22] Speaker 2: It was just crim city. I hated that choice, but
[1:18:26] Speaker 2: I liked saying Man and Venom was terrible all right,
[1:18:29] Speaker 2: So coming in at nine Spider Man Far from Home,
[1:18:33] Speaker 2: Spider Man in London, fighting mysterio, cool visuals like J
[1:18:37] Speaker 2: gillen Hall.
[1:18:38] Speaker 4: But it didn't stick with me for some reason.
[1:18:40] Speaker 2: Yes, number eight, I am going with Spider Man. What
[1:18:47] Speaker 2: did I say? Number eight? Was?
[1:18:57] Speaker 3: Was it Homecoming?
[1:18:59] Speaker 2: No? It was I did Far from Home. The next
[1:19:03] Speaker 2: up Number eight.
[1:19:04] Speaker 3: Is oh the other Andrew Garfield one, an.
[1:19:07] Speaker 2: Amazing Spider Man. I got to put that next. Andrew
[1:19:09] Speaker 2: Garfield's debut. I liked them a stone, I like the Lizard,
[1:19:13] Speaker 2: I like this is my favor, one of my favorite entries.
[1:19:16] Speaker 2: And Spider Man in costume. Yes, I feel like he
[1:19:19] Speaker 2: nailed it. Yes, that's eight. Number seven, I'm going home coming,
[1:19:26] Speaker 2: Spider Man Homecoming. This is Tom Holland's debut. I love
[1:19:31] Speaker 2: the Vulture. I love Michael Keaton in this. Tom Holland
[1:19:34] Speaker 2: did this thing. Of course, too much iron Man.
[1:19:36] Speaker 3: Too much iron Man. They needed. They want to make
[1:19:38] Speaker 3: sure he had a good a good leading for sure.
[1:19:41] Speaker 2: I get it, but keeping Spidery in the borough. That's seven, right,
[1:19:49] Speaker 2: So number six Spider Man from two thousand and two
[1:19:54] Speaker 2: is that when it came out first to the first
[1:19:56] Speaker 2: told we Spider Man Green Goland was great. William Defod
[1:19:59] Speaker 2: was great. Roll I like James franco Is Harry, that
[1:20:02] Speaker 2: whole dynamic. It was a good time. It was classic.
[1:20:06] Speaker 2: It was it was eternal with the time to be alive.
[1:20:10] Speaker 2: Kicked it up. It didn't really kick it all off
[1:20:11] Speaker 2: because Blade kicked it all off.
[1:20:13] Speaker 3: And don't forget that, we remember you, Wesley.
[1:20:16] Speaker 4: Spider Man just took it to another level.
[1:20:18] Speaker 2: Yea, all right, Five the Big five Spider Man Far
[1:20:22] Speaker 2: from Home is next, multi verse crazy, you know, cheat CODs,
[1:20:26] Speaker 2: all the Spider Man coming together. It was great. It
[1:20:28] Speaker 2: was monumentals. It was a great experience in the movie theater.
[1:20:31] Speaker 2: William Dufoe eight once again.
[1:20:34] Speaker 3: Yeah, and it was it was great.
[1:20:37] Speaker 4: It was a cheat code, but it was dope.
[1:20:40] Speaker 2: They nailed it. Led it. Number four Spider Man across
[1:20:45] Speaker 2: the Spider Verse. I loved it, but it was a
[1:20:48] Speaker 2: lot going on. I was overwhelmed, not only the animation,
[1:20:51] Speaker 2: animation style, with all the different Spider man and women
[1:20:55] Speaker 2: and its just stuff going on. My head exploded, my
[1:20:57] Speaker 2: nose blood and it left us hang. It left us
[1:21:00] Speaker 2: truly handing, not like an Infinity War hand. We're still
[1:21:05] Speaker 2: hanging to this day. So that's number four. Number three
[1:21:08] Speaker 2: Spider Man Brand New Day. I liked the scale back,
[1:21:11] Speaker 2: I liked the steaks. I liked what Peter was going through.
[1:21:14] Speaker 2: I like how he sat in what he had to
[1:21:16] Speaker 2: deal with from the previous entry. I liked the Punisher
[1:21:20] Speaker 2: in there. I like the Hulk in there. I like
[1:21:21] Speaker 2: the villain and what was going on. And so Spider
[1:21:24] Speaker 2: Man Brand New days in there. Number two Spider Man too,
[1:21:29] Speaker 2: Doc God Spidery localized smaller steaks, but they were still
[1:21:34] Speaker 2: big staks within New York City, within Spider Man's wheelhouse.
[1:21:38] Speaker 4: They didn't have to do too much.
[1:21:40] Speaker 2: The universe wasn't at stake, it wasn't all kind of
[1:21:42] Speaker 2: multile verses going on. It was a small central lost
[1:21:46] Speaker 2: story with a dope ass villain and dope fights. And
[1:21:49] Speaker 2: then number one Spider Man into the Spider Verse, the
[1:21:54] Speaker 2: debut of Miles Morales, the animation, the fact that it
[1:21:58] Speaker 2: was this good going up against stiff Spider Man live
[1:22:01] Speaker 2: action competition was just fantastic, and the animation was unique
[1:22:07] Speaker 2: and dope, and like visually it was just like it
[1:22:10] Speaker 2: was nothing we've seen before. And the Jordan Ones is hidden,
[1:22:14] Speaker 2: Jordan why Ones is hidden?
[1:22:17] Speaker 3: Untied? Be who you are?
[1:22:19] Speaker 1: That one scene where he jumped off and it was
[1:22:22] Speaker 1: upside down. I said, man, y'all killing this? Yeah, y'all
[1:22:28] Speaker 1: killing this?
[1:22:29] Speaker 2: And to be that good and somebody that's not Peter
[1:22:32] Speaker 2: Parker as much as we love Spider Man and Peter Parker, yes,
[1:22:34] Speaker 2: for Miles Morales to get this much love out the
[1:22:37] Speaker 2: gate is just fantastic.
[1:22:38] Speaker 1: Nuclear black family. Maybe the uncle's into some crime, Okay,
[1:22:42] Speaker 1: he can't be.
[1:22:43] Speaker 2: Everybody in the gray areas. Man, I just thought this
[1:22:47] Speaker 2: movie was dope. So that's where you go, all right.
[1:22:50] Speaker 1: If you have a different ranking, that's great because you
[1:22:53] Speaker 1: got your own brain. Put it in the comments below.
[1:22:56] Speaker 1: This is the Bar Brothers podcast. We'll be here weekly.
[1:22:58] Speaker 1: We're gonna be doing this weekly. On the Tuesdays gonna
[1:23:02] Speaker 1: be either a new movie, something streaming or movie news.
[1:23:06] Speaker 1: Me and Tony will put something together that's new and fresh.
[1:23:09] Speaker 1: And Thursdays will be some more of like rewatch movies
[1:23:14] Speaker 1: the old format we did. We'll figure it out on Thursdays,
[1:23:17] Speaker 1: but we're gonna work really hard. The only thing that
[1:23:19] Speaker 1: will stop us from having a new movie thing on
[1:23:21] Speaker 1: Tuesday is if me and Tony are both on the road,
[1:23:23] Speaker 1: but usually Tuesdays we're both back home, so we're shooting something.
[1:23:27] Speaker 3: We'll throw something else, but for.
[1:23:29] Speaker 1: The most part, our goal is to shoot every Tuesday
[1:23:31] Speaker 1: and get something up that's movie news that day.
[1:23:34] Speaker 3: God bless you God. People see at the conference a
