[0:00] Speaker 1: Man, watch out man, Welcome to the bar Brothers. I'm
[0:02] Speaker 1: keV on stage.
[0:03] Speaker 2: They were here to wax poetically on everything, music, movies,
[0:06] Speaker 2: and we're gonna do a tangent or two.
[0:08] Speaker 1: You're supposed to be working anyway.
[0:10] Speaker 3: Big tangents, big tangent passing the time.
[0:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're on Patreon, man, shout out to you.
[0:15] Speaker 2: You you streaming right now. You know you got a
[0:17] Speaker 2: meeting on your calendar. You're done blocked off set. I
[0:19] Speaker 2: got something going and you and here listen to us
[0:21] Speaker 2: talk wax poetically about the top ten TV shows led
[0:25] Speaker 2: by stand up comedians. That is our first thing, ton,
[0:30] Speaker 2: I'm gonna let you kick it. I'm gonna let you
[0:33] Speaker 2: kick it out.
[0:33] Speaker 4: First, kick it off of my favorite Sinfield. That's my
[0:38] Speaker 4: favorite TV comedy of all time.
[0:40] Speaker 2: Of all time, all time, including the Blacks, including the Blacks. Okay,
[0:46] Speaker 2: so let me ask you this. Y Seinfield came out
[0:49] Speaker 2: with eighty nine. Yeah, okay, so what was it? Did
[0:55] Speaker 2: that supersedar show? No?
[0:58] Speaker 4: At the time sign it was a slow build. I
[1:02] Speaker 4: was watching it that the initial first season was a
[1:04] Speaker 4: short one yeah, and I was just like, I don't know,
[1:07] Speaker 4: I don't really understand this show because it wasn't like
[1:09] Speaker 4: a show I had seen before, but I kind of
[1:11] Speaker 4: like it, and I kept watching it, and then as
[1:13] Speaker 4: I kept watching it, it got funnier. Yeah, and then
[1:15] Speaker 4: it just it kept progressing as the seasons went on
[1:18] Speaker 4: a lot of times, like you know with the black shows,
[1:20] Speaker 4: they start off hot and then they kind of taped
[1:23] Speaker 4: it off a little bit completely. No, no, no, for sure,
[1:25] Speaker 4: Seinfeld got stronger.
[1:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, the first everybody was I was on Seinfield way
[1:30] Speaker 2: late in life. I did not watch it in real time,
[1:31] Speaker 2: but I was wearing the cultural phenomenon, no sup for you, Kramer,
[1:36] Speaker 2: Like I was aware of the big episode, but I
[1:38] Speaker 2: didn't watch it. But when you're learning to write TV shows,
[1:40] Speaker 2: they always recommend watching Seinfield and all that type of stuff.
[1:43] Speaker 2: They got it fully away from him doing the stand
[1:45] Speaker 2: up bits.
[1:45] Speaker 4: Yeah, they cut that out. Yeah, because I was into
[1:47] Speaker 4: the into the little stand up bits. Even though I
[1:50] Speaker 4: wouldn't like laughing like crazy. I was like not liking
[1:53] Speaker 4: what's going I feel knowing I was going to be
[1:55] Speaker 4: a comedian in the future. But it's like that whole
[1:57] Speaker 4: dynamic with something I was just drawn to. And then
[2:00] Speaker 4: it just got funnier and funnier. The style of writing
[2:03] Speaker 4: is what is what draws me in. They always do
[2:05] Speaker 4: a call back. Yes, it's stuff going on, They circle back,
[2:09] Speaker 4: and I feel like the other shows on TV weren't
[2:12] Speaker 4: really doing that.
[2:12] Speaker 1: No, no, it definitely changed the game.
[2:15] Speaker 2: Kurby Enthusiasm is in a lot of ways the R
[2:18] Speaker 2: rated version of Seinfeld, and it's George, Larry's perspective, George's
[2:24] Speaker 2: perspective turn to the max. But what I like about
[2:27] Speaker 2: Curb and I know this is why the show's be
[2:29] Speaker 2: an hour and I'll be complaining, but I don't mind it.
[2:32] Speaker 2: Larry David b noticing a lot of things I noticed,
[2:35] Speaker 2: but he just turns into the max like chat and cut.
[2:38] Speaker 2: Oh man, chat and cut is I'm big chat and cut? Yeah,
[2:44] Speaker 2: when he did my one of my favorite parts is
[2:46] Speaker 2: when Tom Hanks's son was playing the He was playing
[2:50] Speaker 2: the veteran and three out of the four people said
[2:53] Speaker 2: thank you for your service, and Larry was like, Hey,
[2:58] Speaker 2: that's to meet you and he was just like, I'm sorry,
[3:02] Speaker 2: kind of messed up. Why you're thinking for service? Three people? Think?
[3:06] Speaker 2: Everybody got to think.
[3:07] Speaker 1: You ain't got to think three times.
[3:10] Speaker 2: Larry David, He's you yes, I'm sticking to it.
[3:16] Speaker 4: Not gonna sway me off this. I got to say it. Man,
[3:19] Speaker 4: just got three thank you for your services.
[3:22] Speaker 2: Service you need. Come on, man, No, I'm not doing it,
[3:26] Speaker 2: not doing it.
[3:27] Speaker 1: I'm not doing it all right for me?
[3:29] Speaker 2: Number one Martin Lawrence Martin pa my a I am.
[3:35] Speaker 2: I'm the man.
[3:38] Speaker 3: That's the funniest show.
[3:41] Speaker 2: Pound for pound, Pound for pounds. I didn't watch people
[3:44] Speaker 2: like Martin the ply the plot is Dragonfly Jones. I
[3:48] Speaker 2: don't care about the plot. Did you see him go hey, hey, hey, hey.
[3:54] Speaker 4: Side Dragonfly Jones is my favorite Martin character on that show,
[4:00] Speaker 4: and it ain't.
[4:01] Speaker 2: Even close.
[4:03] Speaker 1: His brand.
[4:04] Speaker 4: Kissy was just like, hey man, before we get into this, man,
[4:08] Speaker 4: I need to get paid.
[4:09] Speaker 3: Man, they gonna cut off my phone. Hey man, hands off.
[4:12] Speaker 2: Of me for me.
[4:14] Speaker 4: Don't fall in line till you get hurt. And he
[4:19] Speaker 4: would always be like, this is my assistant kitchen and.
[4:24] Speaker 2: Then excuse me, man, listen.
[4:25] Speaker 4: He would Kenzie would always tell him, hey, man, where's
[4:29] Speaker 4: my money? Every time He's never paying Kenjy to beat
[4:35] Speaker 4: him up and take his own money. And the fact
[4:37] Speaker 4: that Dragonfly Jones had his money in the gee out
[4:40] Speaker 4: of this man funny.
[4:41] Speaker 2: He had cash.
[4:44] Speaker 1: Cash told he had the cash big brand.
[4:48] Speaker 3: That's how people be though, when they owe you money,
[4:51] Speaker 3: they be having the.
[4:51] Speaker 2: Cash on them.
[4:54] Speaker 4: You you owe somebody here one hundred dollars, You got hey, man,
[4:59] Speaker 4: I get to.
[4:59] Speaker 2: It when I yeah too, you get three hundred dollars fresh.
[5:03] Speaker 1: Than all Mar was biting the air man.
[5:07] Speaker 2: Man. Just dumb, just dumb. They just was like, bro,
[5:12] Speaker 2: do you I feel like I know?
[5:14] Speaker 1: There were scripts.
[5:15] Speaker 2: It was like page one, Martin, do you all right?
[5:19] Speaker 2: That take us through page seven? It was so funny,
[5:22] Speaker 2: all the characters he played. I mean, and I was
[5:25] Speaker 2: a kid at that time, early nineties. That was like
[5:27] Speaker 2: the beginning of Fox, the Fox doing the black stuff.
[5:31] Speaker 2: So we was like ride our bike home, get home
[5:34] Speaker 2: in time to watch Martin.
[5:35] Speaker 4: So the reason I give one the pound for pound
[5:38] Speaker 4: funniest show is because he was just doing him. It
[5:41] Speaker 4: was his show. He was He was the main anchor
[5:44] Speaker 4: of the you know, Tommy, Pam, they was doing their thing, Gina,
[5:48] Speaker 4: but it was like his show. But then when you
[5:51] Speaker 4: when you go back and look at it outside of
[5:53] Speaker 4: those first few seasons, you see the weaknesses and like,
[5:57] Speaker 4: all right, that's why that's why I can't get number
[6:00] Speaker 4: one for me?
[6:00] Speaker 2: Just see the flaws in the show. Now.
[6:03] Speaker 4: When I was a kid, I really wasn't understanding like
[6:05] Speaker 4: right instructures.
[6:07] Speaker 1: I don't care, man, but I don't had boogers in
[6:09] Speaker 1: his nose.
[6:10] Speaker 2: He did.
[6:11] Speaker 4: That's all I care about. He got books that's signed.
[6:15] Speaker 4: And then when I got older, you look at him
[6:16] Speaker 4: latest seasons. He's like, all right, y'all watch out. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
[6:20] Speaker 4: all right, you're up to So I'm back up. I'm
[6:22] Speaker 4: gonna go The Cosby Show.
[6:25] Speaker 1: I thought you might do that.
[6:26] Speaker 3: The Cosby Show was so iconic.
[6:28] Speaker 4: Man. That was my father recorded every episode every season.
[6:33] Speaker 4: He had the VHS's every episode labeled. He still got
[6:36] Speaker 4: them down there in the basement label yes and so
[6:41] Speaker 4: uh that was mussy TV for real. It was a
[6:44] Speaker 4: great family dynamic. You cared about the kids. The kids
[6:48] Speaker 4: was good, the parents were outstanding. It was just the
[6:52] Speaker 4: intros were always fired. He gonna change it every season.
[6:55] Speaker 1: What's your favorite moment?
[6:57] Speaker 2: Favorite?
[6:59] Speaker 4: Yeah, the Gordon Gartrail shirt Lisa made, uh for THEO
[7:05] Speaker 4: Denise my bad Denise made for THEO. And then I
[7:09] Speaker 4: also liked the episode where Denise and Vanessa fought Yes,
[7:13] Speaker 4: the episode where Theo thought he was grown and they were.
[7:18] Speaker 4: They were showing him how Bill's were in the real world.
[7:21] Speaker 2: That's your three, you know, big fun down in Baltimore,
[7:26] Speaker 2: big fun.
[7:26] Speaker 3: You having a big fun.
[7:28] Speaker 2: When when she when she here, Rudy, Rudy bad, You're
[7:33] Speaker 2: big fun down in Baltimore with the wreck chair, that
[7:40] Speaker 2: one the Ray Charles, Yeah, I was just, man, come on,
[7:50] Speaker 2: you know too, man? I love that. And then when
[7:52] Speaker 2: Alvin tried to he tried the son Claire, I realized,
[7:58] Speaker 2: out of my three, is Claire give us a bit? Yeah,
[8:01] Speaker 2: she was, boy, you already took Gordon guntrail. That was
[8:03] Speaker 2: gonna be in mind. But she was like, yes, I
[8:05] Speaker 2: get a couple of coffee when he wants, when he
[8:06] Speaker 2: gets me when I need one.
[8:08] Speaker 4: She's the best TV mom of all time, hands down,
[8:12] Speaker 4: the best TV mom of all time. She was no nonsense.
[8:15] Speaker 4: She was cool, soft, firm all that. Also, I liked
[8:18] Speaker 4: the snowball fight episode. It was just a snowball fight
[8:22] Speaker 4: outside the door.
[8:22] Speaker 2: It was crazy.
[8:23] Speaker 4: And then the one where Cliff they kept sending him
[8:26] Speaker 4: to the store for things.
[8:27] Speaker 2: That's the other one.
[8:28] Speaker 4: I was gonna say, when that door is open and
[8:31] Speaker 4: he was out there in the room in the class.
[8:36] Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go.
[8:43] Speaker 2: I'm gonna go.
[8:43] Speaker 1: Jimmie Fox Show, this early Jemmy Fox Show.
[8:46] Speaker 2: Man.
[8:47] Speaker 1: I love the Jammy Fox Show.
[8:49] Speaker 2: Ain't too matty much more than we do a sitcoms, right, yeah,
[8:54] Speaker 2: that comedy. I like Jimmy King. One of my favorite
[8:58] Speaker 2: episode was Mark Curry with the Uh with the drill drill.
[9:03] Speaker 3: They didn't stand Jamie holding it together like man.
[9:06] Speaker 2: They didn't stand a chance against Mark Curry. They folded
[9:12] Speaker 2: like that.
[9:13] Speaker 4: Man, Jammy Fox is funny.
[9:22] Speaker 2: It's funny man, and I love Garcel Buve Nylon.
[9:27] Speaker 1: It's fancy. Yeah, great cash, Junior.
[9:31] Speaker 2: King, his aunt. It was just good man. My only
[9:35] Speaker 2: my only note.
[9:36] Speaker 3: He would mess me up with the Jamie Fox Show.
[9:39] Speaker 3: I didn't have cable, so when it was in prime
[9:43] Speaker 3: time he wasn't watching.
[9:44] Speaker 2: I had.
[9:44] Speaker 4: I had to catch you well because I was in college. Man,
[9:47] Speaker 4: I am and yeah, you always bring up the stolen WAPs.
[9:51] Speaker 2: It's just a really funny visual of you in line
[9:53] Speaker 2: with every big, big big jeans taking whoppers.
[9:57] Speaker 1: It's just funny to me.
[9:59] Speaker 4: I can only catch The Wayne's Brothers and the Jamie
[10:02] Speaker 4: Foxx Show. When I was like around people that had
[10:05] Speaker 4: some cables.
[10:05] Speaker 2: Got it okay, But.
[10:08] Speaker 1: Intro, yeah, here I gall hair.
[10:11] Speaker 3: I love that on just the low budget graphics.
[10:14] Speaker 2: All that, like big face backgrounds and stuff like that.
[10:17] Speaker 3: I was like, they spent two dollars.
[10:21] Speaker 2: Yeah it started.
[10:23] Speaker 3: He was the fake convertible driving down the fake street.
[10:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, I come.
[10:31] Speaker 3: I always hated the intro.
[10:34] Speaker 2: I never thought about that at all because I felt
[10:35] Speaker 2: like he was trying to do his thing. Remember Martin
[10:37] Speaker 2: had the big face intro for a while to Miami.
[10:39] Speaker 2: He came out to TV. I'm the man. I was like,
[10:43] Speaker 2: make that face.
[10:47] Speaker 4: He was creepy, that big headed Martin coming out the TV.
[10:51] Speaker 4: That's that's where they got that idea for the Ring
[10:53] Speaker 4: from the movie The Ring. They was like, they started
[10:57] Speaker 4: writing the script.
[10:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm I'm sticking the shows I actually watched. I
[11:02] Speaker 2: I'm not doing things that just to saying for the
[11:04] Speaker 2: people I was up there watching me some Jamie, Yeah, okay,
[11:08] Speaker 2: you're up all right.
[11:09] Speaker 4: So one of my favorite sitcoms of all time live
[11:14] Speaker 4: by comedian is The.
[11:15] Speaker 2: King and Queens Kevin James.
[11:18] Speaker 3: I love the King and Queens.
[11:19] Speaker 2: They always point to him as the fat comedian, ugly
[11:22] Speaker 2: with the hot wife. But comedians be having beautiful women
[11:25] Speaker 2: on their side. Comedy could be ugly and fat and
[11:28] Speaker 2: that woman gonna be right.
[11:29] Speaker 3: Today, comedians be having some fine women.
[11:31] Speaker 2: We funny, get them panices going. Every time they'd be like,
[11:34] Speaker 2: you know what, you did it again? And the only thing,
[11:36] Speaker 2: the only thing is he was just heavyweight. It was heavyweight,
[11:39] Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. Some guy's a chill guy,
[11:41] Speaker 2: but his wife was cute. I didn't really watch The
[11:44] Speaker 2: King of Queens. I actually didn't watch it at all.
[11:46] Speaker 2: Go back, It's good.
[11:48] Speaker 1: It's gonna hold up.
[11:48] Speaker 2: It's gonna hold up for sure. Still in there, man.
[11:51] Speaker 2: I love Jerry Steelers. It's funny. He's funny. In Seinfeld
[11:55] Speaker 2: he is great. And the King Arthur Spooner George's dad,
[12:00] Speaker 2: that's him, inn't it. You're still learned him and his
[12:02] Speaker 2: mom too. I'm gonna check a few episodes out, all right.
[12:05] Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Wayne's brothers. I love Marlon, Sean Pops.
[12:13] Speaker 2: Is this a lady from Nightcore or is it d
[12:16] Speaker 2: D not? Nightcore is night Cork.
[12:17] Speaker 3: She's not from night you think about Marshall Wolfield.
[12:20] Speaker 1: Is it Mom from Friday?
[12:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, you's also amen back in the day, yeah, Ana,
[12:26] Speaker 2: Marie Horsford, Uh, my kids did a video one time
[12:31] Speaker 2: to the theme song of the Waynes Brothers.
[12:32] Speaker 1: I was like, ya, don't even know that.
[12:34] Speaker 2: You don't know they didn't get no season finale. No,
[12:38] Speaker 2: they just canceled it at the end of the season.
[12:42] Speaker 2: But the Wayne's humor is right up my alley Marlin
[12:45] Speaker 2: Sean the little newstand pop, that's great intros, great intros
[12:51] Speaker 2: were colored. We're happy are you talking about you know,
[12:54] Speaker 2: the theme song or intro? You're talking layer on top
[12:58] Speaker 2: of the theme.
[12:59] Speaker 3: When they do little intro with color.
[13:01] Speaker 4: And then even when they changed it to yea, even
[13:03] Speaker 4: that instrumental was fire.
[13:05] Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm saying I feel like
[13:07] Speaker 2: that really solidified Pops for real, like he was in
[13:12] Speaker 2: from Boomerang and Friday, but his work on on on
[13:17] Speaker 2: the Waynes, the Waynes Brothers.
[13:19] Speaker 3: Because now we're seeing them on the regular basis.
[13:21] Speaker 1: And he was funny every time. He was fantastic with the.
[13:25] Speaker 2: Spoon delivered every time. Free time Man rest a piece
[13:28] Speaker 2: of the goat Man. What was he eating every time
[13:32] Speaker 2: he was eating grapes on Friday, he was eating grapes.
[13:35] Speaker 2: That made every time I come in the kitchen, you.
[13:37] Speaker 3: In the kitchen got.
[13:45] Speaker 1: He was such a.
[13:46] Speaker 2: Dad to him.
[13:48] Speaker 3: Was actually in Hollywood Shuffle.
[13:50] Speaker 2: I remember that he had the balls thinking yeah, him
[13:53] Speaker 2: and Robert Townsend.
[13:55] Speaker 1: Yeah okay man, what's that six?
[13:56] Speaker 2: All right? You're up man?
[13:57] Speaker 4: Okay, So I'm gonna go Stanford and Son. I grew
[14:02] Speaker 4: up watching the hell out of that shut. It was
[14:05] Speaker 4: like that would be on TV. Red Fox and Lamont. Man,
[14:09] Speaker 4: it was It's funny. Over the Christmas break, I was
[14:12] Speaker 4: watching an episode with my mom and I was just like, oh,
[14:15] Speaker 4: this must be the first episode ever because it was
[14:18] Speaker 4: like Fred was softer, Lamont was meaner.
[14:22] Speaker 3: And I was like, nah, this got to be an
[14:23] Speaker 3: early episode.
[14:24] Speaker 4: Normally Fred be lighting Lamont's ass, calling them big dummies
[14:29] Speaker 4: left and right, and I was like, because Lama Lamon
[14:31] Speaker 4: could get on your nerves easy, but uh, but Fred
[14:34] Speaker 4: was light And then I was like I looked at it.
[14:36] Speaker 2: I was like, oh, this is the pilot.
[14:39] Speaker 3: I can tell when you ain't watch the show.
[14:40] Speaker 2: I didn't watch it, I can tell I can tell
[14:42] Speaker 2: you no I didn't see. I didn't see that episode,
[14:45] Speaker 2: but I caught a lot of reruns, but I don't
[14:47] Speaker 2: remember that. No, I for sure did him versus the
[14:52] Speaker 2: hard thing that though it was a big one. Him
[14:54] Speaker 2: versus the lady Martin Pam had the same dynamic as him.
[14:58] Speaker 2: I cannot think of the ladies Esther Okay, yeah, him
[15:01] Speaker 2: and Esther's dynamic was the funniest part of the show
[15:02] Speaker 2: to me. And he was always on top of Lamont's head.
[15:04] Speaker 2: I just don't remember. I don't know which episode the
[15:06] Speaker 2: pilot you was talking pilot specificat. Yeah, I know, but
[15:10] Speaker 2: I didn't want I don't remember if I just remember
[15:12] Speaker 2: that show being on. And also him and Lamont weren't
[15:15] Speaker 2: that far an age, it realized Red Fox. It wasn't
[15:19] Speaker 2: as old as he. No, I think it was. They
[15:22] Speaker 2: looked like seventy and forty. I thought he was.
[15:25] Speaker 1: They were not.
[15:26] Speaker 2: I remember, like a random YouTube thing was like Lamont
[15:29] Speaker 2: and Fred was not that different. Hold On, he died
[15:31] Speaker 2: in his sixties. If I'm not mistaken, Lamont and Fred.
[15:34] Speaker 4: Fred Red Fox, really, I think so. I think he
[15:37] Speaker 4: was in his sixties. Still, I thought he died older
[15:41] Speaker 4: than that.
[15:42] Speaker 3: He always seemed older than he was.
[15:45] Speaker 1: Okay, so it says Red Fox Fred was forty.
[15:48] Speaker 2: Nine and Lamont, oh he's twenty five.
[15:54] Speaker 3: He was sixty eight years old.
[15:56] Speaker 2: It was sixty eight. Yeah, okay, that's that. I thought
[15:58] Speaker 2: he looked I thought a young They always he always
[16:01] Speaker 2: looked older than he was. Okay. Red was supposed to
[16:04] Speaker 2: be sixty five and he was forty nine. Because look
[16:08] Speaker 2: at look, that's really what it is. Red was not
[16:10] Speaker 2: as old as they made him seem, but Lamont was.
[16:13] Speaker 2: And Lamont looked to way older than twenty five. I
[16:16] Speaker 2: think they grayed him up.
[16:17] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he looked twenty five.
[16:19] Speaker 3: People in the seventies just looked older.

[17:57] Speaker 2: not into research, but I saw his video out of
[18:00] Speaker 2: it is the clothing.
[18:02] Speaker 1: The clothing and the hair.
[18:03] Speaker 2: We don't yeah, like if you because you know Jonathan Bino,
[18:08] Speaker 2: do you follow him? He's a content creator. He does
[18:10] Speaker 2: like a lot of makes for a lot of musicians
[18:13] Speaker 2: and stuff. He'll and he has a little fro. He'll
[18:16] Speaker 2: dress like the Temptations dress and he's like twenty six. Yeah,
[18:19] Speaker 2: he looks like he could be forty because that that collar,
[18:23] Speaker 2: the crochet stuff that'll aid you up.
[18:26] Speaker 1: So a lot of it.
[18:26] Speaker 2: And then obviously a lot of times it's no color,
[18:29] Speaker 2: you know, black and white.
[18:30] Speaker 4: And the mustache and the mustache Lama always had a
[18:33] Speaker 4: thick stag.
[18:33] Speaker 1: He had that police captain mustard.
[18:36] Speaker 4: Your hairlines fading back, that's gonna give you twenty And
[18:39] Speaker 4: that's the Sherman Helmsley because we don't men of this
[18:43] Speaker 4: age Bollman know rock the Coldy.
[18:45] Speaker 1: You don't see nobody coldy fro.
[18:46] Speaker 3: James Evans. It was crazy work going on top.
[18:50] Speaker 2: Danny Glover was like thirty eight. He was thirty eight
[18:54] Speaker 2: as lethal weapon. Once you get the cool.
[18:56] Speaker 4: If I lift my hair grown up now Tony's sixty
[18:59] Speaker 4: eight immediately, would you grow it out for a movie
[19:03] Speaker 4: if you had to play a police captain?
[19:05] Speaker 2: Grew that out?
[19:07] Speaker 3: If you cast me as a police captain, I'm growing
[19:09] Speaker 3: it the hell.
[19:10] Speaker 5: Out with you playing seventy two mus less, I might
[19:15] Speaker 5: have a ball coming with a big cup of coffee

[19:22] Speaker 2: The man chewing me up.
[19:24] Speaker 3: And y'all out here, man, I can't wait.
[19:27] Speaker 2: All right, I'm gonna go.
[19:28] Speaker 1: Curby Your Enthusiasm.
[19:29] Speaker 2: Okay, Curby your Enthusiasm is a great show. I love
[19:34] Speaker 2: Larry David's humor. I love the like Like I said,
[19:38] Speaker 2: it's like a nuanced same nuanced level of Seinfeld, but
[19:42] Speaker 2: more annoying and Larry is it. You don't see many
[19:45] Speaker 2: comedies led by an annoying character like Larry is annoying
[19:50] Speaker 2: even to his friends.
[19:51] Speaker 3: I can't watch too many episodes.
[19:53] Speaker 2: A lot of people feel like that Susie be cussing him,
[19:55] Speaker 2: smooth out, kicking him out. One of the favorite things
[19:59] Speaker 2: he did he ran into somebody in New York who
[20:02] Speaker 2: he was in there like uh, he used running the
[20:04] Speaker 2: funk Houser all the time, so I think I think
[20:06] Speaker 2: it was funk Houser, but he was in New York.
[20:07] Speaker 2: He's like, I wish you get lunch. She was like,
[20:10] Speaker 2: he said, we never get lunch in l A And
[20:12] Speaker 2: he was like, but we're in New York. He's like,
[20:14] Speaker 2: so we don't have to We don't have to do
[20:17] Speaker 2: something because we're in the same place.
[20:21] Speaker 3: He is right, He is right.
[20:26] Speaker 2: He hang out where we live. Why would we hang
[20:29] Speaker 2: out just because we're in the same city.
[20:32] Speaker 3: Should like, we shouldn't we should.
[20:35] Speaker 2: We never do? What are we doing? Ever do? He
[20:39] Speaker 2: says all the stuff people want to say but never
[20:41] Speaker 2: never say. So. Yeah, I love that show. I've watched.
[20:44] Speaker 2: I watched the earlier stuff, The Racist Dog with Makai
[20:46] Speaker 2: Fire for episode.
[20:49] Speaker 1: Him and funk Houser. He was funny. Jamie's moved to me.
[20:55] Speaker 2: Jamie's move got them four or five more seasons for sure,
[20:58] Speaker 2: get a whole season where he took it in a
[21:00] Speaker 2: black family from Hurricane Katrina, and then Jamie Smooth just
[21:03] Speaker 2: never left. Vivica Fox was a whole season. Vivical Fox,
[21:07] Speaker 2: the mom from Jamie Fox show JM. Smooth and they
[21:12] Speaker 2: had like a yeah, And then James Smooth was just like, no,
[21:16] Speaker 2: I'm not leaving.
[21:17] Speaker 4: He was taking over a couple of shows. There's a
[21:19] Speaker 4: show called Till Death with Brad Garrett and j B.
[21:23] Speaker 2: Smooth was just one off. They made him a regular.
[21:26] Speaker 4: Really yeah, dang because when he showed I never heard that. Yo,
[21:30] Speaker 4: this dude is fantastic. Boom, all right, you're up.
[21:33] Speaker 2: I'm up.
[21:34] Speaker 4: Okay, I'm gonna go now, Mark, we to put sketch
[21:41] Speaker 4: shows in here. I was keeping it like.
[21:44] Speaker 2: A you know, like a traditional I was. I was
[21:50] Speaker 2: gonna throw it in. If you didn't, we could give.
[21:52] Speaker 3: The sketch shows honorable mentions.
[21:54] Speaker 2: Or are we including this TV show?
[21:57] Speaker 3: It's TV shows? Well, then I gotta do a living cut.
[22:00] Speaker 1: Got to do in living color.
[22:02] Speaker 2: I was thinking sitcoms too, But when I saw it,
[22:03] Speaker 2: I said, I was in the sitcom mood.
[22:06] Speaker 4: So in living color for Shore, in living color. That
[22:09] Speaker 4: show right there we had to watch in living color.
[22:12] Speaker 2: I just still to this day, the fact that the
[22:15] Speaker 2: super Bowl halftime show is thanks to a living color
[22:17] Speaker 2: is one of my favorite Black culture fun facts. Because
[22:21] Speaker 2: they had to not only super Bowl halftime show, they
[22:23] Speaker 2: had to go get Michael Jackson. They changed the culture
[22:26] Speaker 2: they had.
[22:26] Speaker 1: They changed the culture so much and they didn't just
[22:29] Speaker 1: get share or YouTube.
[22:31] Speaker 2: They said who is the who can we get it?
[22:35] Speaker 2: Because the last year they turned off the Super Bowl
[22:38] Speaker 2: And what a ballsy move to be like twenty minutes
[22:40] Speaker 2: we forget that halftime come over here and laugh with us.
[22:43] Speaker 2: That's brilliant and Fox being like, yes, oh hell no,
[22:49] Speaker 2: Michael Jackson doing this. You can thank Keenan Ivory Wayns.
[22:52] Speaker 2: When you see Beyonce, you can thank Keenan Ivy Wayns.
[22:55] Speaker 2: And the halftime show is such a big deal now, Man,
[22:57] Speaker 2: if you go back and look at the halftime show
[22:59] Speaker 2: before or that marching bands floats, they was throwing high
[23:04] Speaker 2: school it was they were throwing anything.
[23:11] Speaker 3: Everybody getting snags, they running into the gas station.
[23:14] Speaker 4: Anybody wasn't that bullshite people.
[23:17] Speaker 3: At the game.
[23:18] Speaker 2: It's just like they didn't even have the cell phones.
[23:20] Speaker 1: They just taking raw band materials.
[23:26] Speaker 3: Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson, can you imagine who's that?
[23:31] Speaker 2: Me?
[23:35] Speaker 1: Oh?
[23:35] Speaker 2: Okay, I was like, I know that ain't mine. That
[23:38] Speaker 2: ain't just computer. She clicked it up. Okay, but yeah,
[23:43] Speaker 2: in living color to me gave they gave us like
[23:48] Speaker 2: eight or nine superstars. Keenan, Damon, Marlon barn was on there, Sean, Jamie,
[23:59] Speaker 2: Jim Carrie, Oh yeah, j Lo Uh, Tommy Davidson, Uh.
[24:07] Speaker 2: Count j though she was on the show, she was
[24:10] Speaker 2: she was a fly girl. She was just a fly girl.
[24:12] Speaker 2: She was on the show. She counted as part as
[24:15] Speaker 2: her of her thing, and she became a superstar. That
[24:18] Speaker 2: was the first time we saw her before Selena acting,
[24:22] Speaker 2: singing and not. I didn't say that the actor hit
[24:24] Speaker 2: us to the show. Now she was over there doing fly.
[24:29] Speaker 3: I feel like this, David, I feel like this with
[24:34] Speaker 3: j Lo.
[24:34] Speaker 2: She was just there.
[24:37] Speaker 3: Because she she wasn't acting.
[24:39] Speaker 2: I don't remember her in real time.
[24:41] Speaker 4: It wasn't like that's the girl from in Living Color
[24:43] Speaker 4: when you saw her in a movie or whatever.
[24:44] Speaker 2: You never put the two and two together.
[24:46] Speaker 1: That's true. I didn't know she was on a Living Color.
[24:48] Speaker 4: When you make a star, we know where you were
[24:50] Speaker 4: made from. Okay, when you saw even though Jim Carrey
[24:55] Speaker 4: was already deep and doing stuff before that, it's like, Yo,
[24:59] Speaker 4: that's a dude.
[24:59] Speaker 2: From Living the Color playing. He's been too. We're pulling
[25:01] Speaker 2: up now. Do you think the people from Selina was like,
[25:04] Speaker 2: that's the girl from a Living Color.
[25:06] Speaker 4: No you don't think so, Oh, you don't think that
[25:12] Speaker 4: you can't even get a showcase of her talent by
[25:14] Speaker 4: watching uh in Living Color unless you're looking for dancers. Sure, yeah,
[25:17] Speaker 4: I'm sure Janet might have been like, oh, that girl
[25:20] Speaker 4: can dance. Good, let me have her come to my video.
[25:22] Speaker 4: And then she's just in the background of the.
[25:24] Speaker 2: Video Janet Jackson watching the Living Color, like, now, let
[25:27] Speaker 2: me let her have me come.
[25:29] Speaker 1: She sure even know how cheetos are.
[25:30] Speaker 4: When I first when I first took in j Loo,
[25:33] Speaker 4: I ain't know nothing about the Living Color, even though
[25:35] Speaker 4: I watched mad episodes.
[25:36] Speaker 3: Look, they're dead in her eyes.
[25:37] Speaker 2: You don't really single out the fly girls though it
[25:40] Speaker 2: was always sick.
[25:41] Speaker 4: It was one that I remember though, and it wasn't
[25:43] Speaker 4: it was it was the black girl.
[25:46] Speaker 1: So you didn't recognize je Loo at all.
[25:48] Speaker 4: But I saw j Loo and something else I never
[25:50] Speaker 4: put in Living Color on oy okay she was.
[25:53] Speaker 2: It was like a shot, we're taking jy.
[25:56] Speaker 1: Lot, allright, take her off.
[25:57] Speaker 2: But Kim Kim Coles was on there for one season
[26:00] Speaker 2: two and Kim Wayn's I was on there. How many
[26:03] Speaker 2: were we got my queta. All Right, I'm not gonna
[26:07] Speaker 2: lie to y'all. I'm gonna do I'm gonna do what
[26:08] Speaker 2: I watched the most. I hated the Yeah, it was
[26:20] Speaker 2: one note I don't I've never bought well. I missed
[26:23] Speaker 2: Professor Ogilvie was not attracted the Monique. I was like, nigga,
[26:28] Speaker 2: you she should be doing this to you. Monique ain't
[26:32] Speaker 2: never not been fine to me. Count as hilarious though,
[26:39] Speaker 2: but it's this, you know, respect to her. But it's
[26:41] Speaker 2: not that I'm not gonna do it. I probably watched
[26:43] Speaker 2: other remaining Bernie max Shaw. I didn't really watch that much.
[26:46] Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I was at a different time of my life.
[26:48] Speaker 2: Was it early two thousands or late nineties? It was
[26:51] Speaker 2: like two thousand and three, Okay, I was in college.
[26:54] Speaker 2: I was in college. I wouldn't watch I Yeah, that's
[26:58] Speaker 2: why the Chappelle shows. Probably what I'll say then if
[27:01] Speaker 2: we're gonna go like Living Color. But I didn't even
[27:04] Speaker 2: watch the Chappelle Show in real time. I got those
[27:07] Speaker 2: DVDs later. Actually, Yo, So when the Rick James hit,
[27:10] Speaker 2: what was it like for you? So I remember that one?
[27:14] Speaker 2: Like it was just like did you see sign real time? Yes,
[27:18] Speaker 2: So I went to a PWY. White kids loved Chappelle
[27:21] Speaker 2: Show so and a lot of them had it on DVD,
[27:24] Speaker 2: but I wasn't watching it in real time. The one
[27:26] Speaker 2: I did watch in real time was The Real World.
[27:28] Speaker 2: I remember that one, but I later just went back
[27:31] Speaker 2: and watched the whole thing. I just like got the
[27:33] Speaker 2: DVD's and watched them, but in real time I was
[27:35] Speaker 2: moving around tone I mean class, I'm riding the bus.
[27:38] Speaker 2: I ain't got time to de turn on comedy situ.
[27:40] Speaker 1: Well, so I'm gonna go.
[27:41] Speaker 2: I must go. Chappelle Show also probably the most iconic
[27:46] Speaker 2: black sketch show sense in living color. Matt TV had
[27:50] Speaker 2: more black people, but I'm.
[27:51] Speaker 3: Probably without a doubt. What's the probably about?
[27:56] Speaker 2: Kem Peel was up there, but that was after but
[27:59] Speaker 2: the okay, yeah you're right shows? Yeah, you're right, you're right,
[28:02] Speaker 2: you're right, earthquake. Yeah, I remember Russell used to hate
[28:04] Speaker 2: Kem Pill. People are like is hilarious, Key.
[28:08] Speaker 4: And Peel pound for pounds more funnier sketches than Spell Show.
[28:15] Speaker 2: I agree. I think the Chappelle shows high as highs
[28:18] Speaker 2: are higher and they're culturally relevant, like everything Charlie Murphy did,
[28:23] Speaker 2: Man the Clayton bigsby Rick James, Yeah, yeah, Prince is
[28:28] Speaker 2: just game Bosses is daily, Lexicon plays the Haters Ball.
[28:34] Speaker 2: But if you go sketch by sketch by all the
[28:37] Speaker 2: way through.
[28:38] Speaker 3: Key and Peel sketches is fun.
[28:39] Speaker 1: I'll be watching Key and Pill sketches on TikTok and.
[28:42] Speaker 3: I always discover new ones.
[28:43] Speaker 2: I don't believe they released them all. I believe Comedy
[28:47] Speaker 2: Central has sneaking in unreleased sketches because I'm like, I've
[28:51] Speaker 2: never seen this and.
[28:52] Speaker 4: It's like, I can't even keep counting how many like yo,
[28:55] Speaker 4: this is a fire as.
[28:57] Speaker 2: Liam Neeson's Liam Neeson's uh, And it's so interesting to
[29:01] Speaker 2: me who like Jordan Peel's career like Key and Michael
[29:04] Speaker 2: Key's career makes sense. After Key and Piel, Jordan Peele
[29:09] Speaker 2: was like, actually, I'm doing nothing like this ever, and
[29:12] Speaker 2: I'm not even talking that much.
[29:13] Speaker 1: No more, get out us nope, uh him.
[29:20] Speaker 2: Did he produce him? Yeah, he didn't direct him, but
[29:23] Speaker 2: like he all that was in him and he was
[29:25] Speaker 2: just funny acting that Key and Pill sketch where the
[29:28] Speaker 2: camera keeps thinking he's gay.
[29:30] Speaker 3: Oh my god, so funny.
[29:32] Speaker 4: He put his white Indian, Asian Hispanic gay because the
[29:41] Speaker 4: camera was cutting to every every demographic he named, the
[29:44] Speaker 4: camera would.
[29:44] Speaker 2: Cut to them, and he's like gay gay, and he
[29:49] Speaker 2: kept coming back. He tried to change seats. He got
[29:52] Speaker 2: on to sit next to the girl, put his arm
[29:54] Speaker 2: around and he was like, get right.
[29:59] Speaker 1: They ruined all the people's names with the with the sketch.
[30:02] Speaker 2: Aa Ron the football football player, the East West Trineus
[30:08] Speaker 2: Cap Oh my god. The one sketch where he did
[30:10] Speaker 2: the UFC promotion was like I'm going to make him
[30:14] Speaker 2: his soul will be bored.
[30:15] Speaker 1: He was like, hey, man, were just talking about fight.
[30:17] Speaker 4: When they talking about they will make you see it.
[30:21] Speaker 3: They kept getting further further away from the house.
[30:24] Speaker 2: Man yes, Kim pill so yeah, but are they stat
[30:31] Speaker 2: Who's stand up? Are they stand ups? Jordan Pilling kick
[30:35] Speaker 2: Michael Key? Not? To my knowledge, I don't know.

[32:18] Speaker 1: Reagan Gomez on there. Who's a young girl there?
[32:22] Speaker 2: No, Raven Simone was on there. Raven Simone, Raygan Goummanz

[32:47] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ is Jason Bourne.
[32:49] Speaker 1: Do I get the eighties or you get the eighties.
[32:50] Speaker 2: I'll take the eighties, man, you're gonna get Michael Jackson
[32:53] Speaker 2: all over again.
[32:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, either way, I was just helping you out because

[38:31] Speaker 4: I would hang out and I'd be like, all right,
[38:33] Speaker 4: this is cool. Eliminade is probably the best.
[38:37] Speaker 1: That's my favorite album, the.
[38:39] Speaker 4: Best structural and like creativity and all that. Sufflimonade is
[38:43] Speaker 4: probably her magnum opus. But Dangerously in Love is the
[38:48] Speaker 4: only Beyonce album I could not stop listening to that.
[38:52] Speaker 4: That reporter who said that Beyonce will never be bigger
[38:55] Speaker 4: than a Shanti got to be kicking themselves right before
[38:59] Speaker 4: that album came out somebody listened to that album, I believe,
[39:02] Speaker 4: and wrote an article that said, Beyonce's solo project, just
[39:05] Speaker 4: listen to it. She's not gonna be bigger than a
[39:07] Speaker 4: Shanti And they living around, walking, living in the earth,
[39:10] Speaker 4: walking around today and Beyonce ain't done nothing but get
[39:13] Speaker 4: bigger every every album.
[39:16] Speaker 3: Hold on, that didn't make sense, because when did A
[39:21] Speaker 3: Shanty's first album come out? Hold on a second, man,
[39:24] Speaker 3: look it up, Tom, hold on a second.
[39:27] Speaker 2: That's like that variety of article. No, it's not I
[39:31] Speaker 2: Love a Shanta.
[39:31] Speaker 4: That was just a wild take. So her first album
[39:34] Speaker 4: came out in two thousand and two.
[39:38] Speaker 2: Who's that Ashanti? Oh yeah, okay, Khalifa? What is she?
[39:49] Speaker 2: Middle American? Middle Eastern too?

[40:30] Speaker 2: first week she was. And Beyonce, Yeah, they did, and
[40:36] Speaker 2: then Beyonce kept going. But in fairness not to that author,
[40:42] Speaker 2: Beyonce doing stuff that our artists don't often do. You
[40:46] Speaker 2: don't usually get better and better, and you definitely don't
[40:49] Speaker 2: switch genres. And when she switched to uh, what was this?
[40:53] Speaker 2: First switch was renaissance right, a straight house music album
[40:58] Speaker 2: and a house music album in twenties and then country.
[41:03] Speaker 4: Most most artists period don't last as long, and most
[41:06] Speaker 4: artists are like, stand up.
[41:07] Speaker 2: Your first three specials are your stand up. Your first
[41:11] Speaker 2: special is almost always your best. It's like the culmination
[41:14] Speaker 2: of your work.
