[0:00] Speaker 1: All right, what up, y'all? It's your boy, Kevon State.
[0:01] Speaker 2: Tony Baker.
[0:02] Speaker 3: This is the Ball Brothers Podcast, where me and Tony
[0:05] Speaker 3: wax poetically on whatever the hell we talk about. Today,
[0:10] Speaker 3: we're doing a deep dive on Leonardo DiCaprio.
[0:15] Speaker 1: Leo DiCaprio. Leo DiCaprio.
[0:17] Speaker 3: If you've never seen us do a deep dive, this
[0:20] Speaker 3: is all the things we're going to cover. First movie
[0:22] Speaker 3: we saw them in. First movie you think of. Favorite movie.
[0:25] Speaker 3: Best movie. Least favorite movie. Best chemistry in a movie.
[0:28] Speaker 3: Role they haven't played you'd like to see.
[0:30] Speaker 1: Best scene. Most overrated movie. Underrated movie.
[0:33] Speaker 3: Should have won an Oscar. Paycheck movie. The one that
[0:35] Speaker 3: got them paid in the future. This movie comes on.
[0:39] Speaker 3: I'm watching it. Best director for them and their Hall
[0:42] Speaker 3: of Fame performance. And we draft their career top 10
[0:46] Speaker 3: movies that we can't repeat on.
[0:50] Speaker 1: Kicking it off with Tony Baker.
[0:52] Speaker 3: The first movie you saw Leonardo DiCaprio in that you remember.
[0:59] Speaker 4: The first movie that I saw Leo DiCap in where
[1:03] Speaker 4: he really registered was, man, honestly, it probably wasn't until
[1:13] Speaker 4: The Quick and the Dead.
[1:15] Speaker 1: What year is that?
[1:16] Speaker 2: It was 95. It's a Western.
[1:19] Speaker 1: The Quick and the Dead?
[1:20] Speaker 2: The Quick and the Dead. I remember him being in
[1:22] Speaker 2: that joint.
[1:24] Speaker 4: But he was still just kind of like, oh, the kid,
[1:27] Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying? The kid in the Western.
[1:30] Speaker 4: But him really registering for real, for real, was Romeo
[1:33] Speaker 4: and Juliet.
[1:34] Speaker 1: For sure. That's what I was going to say.
[1:36] Speaker 2: That's when it was just like.
[1:37] Speaker 1: Romeo and Juliet for me, easy.
[1:39] Speaker 2: That's when I was just like, all right, this guy's
[1:41] Speaker 2: a lead.
[1:42] Speaker 1: Who was opposite him?
[1:44] Speaker 2: Claire Danes. Claire Danes.
[1:47] Speaker 4: And I, you know, I had not seen What's Eating
[1:50] Speaker 4: Gilbert Grape at that time. I still haven't seen The
[1:52] Speaker 4: Basketball Diaries. I didn't remember him on Growing Pains. I
[1:57] Speaker 4: didn't see This Boy's Life.
[1:58] Speaker 1: Growing Pains is a movie?
[2:00] Speaker 2: TV show.
[2:01] Speaker 1: Oh, TV's out.
[2:02] Speaker 2: TV's out.
[2:03] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[2:03] Speaker 4: And Critters 3 I had never seen. So it was
[2:05] Speaker 4: really like. It was really the quick in the den.
[2:08] Speaker 4: I was like, oh, okay, this kid. But he really
[2:11] Speaker 4: resonated on Romeo and Juliet.
[2:13] Speaker 1: Who was the black dude in Romeo and Juliet?
[2:14] Speaker 2: That was Harold Paranaut, yeah.
[2:17] Speaker 1: It was, okay. Yeah, I remember thinking, this is a
[2:19] Speaker 1: weird movie.
[2:21] Speaker 2: I just didn't like the Shakespeare talk. I don't like
[2:24] Speaker 2: Art If Thou, man. Once you go Art If Thou,
[2:27] Speaker 2: I'm out.
[2:30] Speaker 4: Art Thou, Art Thou, I'm out, bro.
[2:37] Speaker 2: When they go on.
[2:38] Speaker 4: Those long periods of just talking that art of dial shit,
[2:42] Speaker 4: I check out. I'm at the hotel desk.
[2:48] Speaker 2: I'm checking out of Romeo and Juliet.
[2:51] Speaker 1: Just go ahead. As soon as you say that, you're done.
[2:56] Speaker 2: Oh, man, listen, man.
[2:57] Speaker 1: Did you check out Denzel McBath?
[3:00] Speaker 3: No.
[3:00] Speaker 1: Because of that.
[3:01] Speaker 2: I ain't even looked.
[3:03] Speaker 4: I watch everything Denzel's in. He's like the tragedy of Macbeth.
[3:07] Speaker 4: They talking to Shakespeare. I'll get around to it. Arteth thou,
[3:12] Speaker 4: arteth thou. Thou quest, thou night, thou sleepless, arteth thou.
[3:18] Speaker 4: Shut the hell up, William Shakespeare.
[3:20] Speaker 2: And I love his story.
[3:23] Speaker 4: The story skeletons be fired.
[3:27] Speaker 2: Arteth thou.
[3:27] Speaker 1: The way they get around to it. Just update it, man.
[3:32] Speaker 1: I need the message version of the Bible, man. King James.
[3:36] Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
[3:38] Speaker 4: That's why I don't be reading the Bible like that, man.
[3:40] Speaker 2: Lameness turns me up, man. King James, I need you
[3:44] Speaker 2: to be alive in the 60s. Rewrite.
[3:48] Speaker 1: So, mind you, Jesus. Okay, now, Jesus and his mom.
[3:52] Speaker 2: Come to find out.
[3:53] Speaker 1: Come to find out.
[3:54] Speaker 2: Now, get this.
[3:56] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[3:56] Speaker 4: Then on top of that. Then on top of that.
[3:59] Speaker 4: Not to mention. What's crazy is Jesus wasn't the one
[4:05] Speaker 4: to be messed with. That's what I want. I'm sick
[4:09] Speaker 4: of art of thou. Thou thus, thou shalt.
[4:15] Speaker 2: Hush.
[4:16] Speaker 3: All right, so we're both on Romeo and Juliet.
[4:18] Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, gun to your head.
[4:20] Speaker 3: First movie you think of when I say Leonardo DiCaprio's name.
[4:26] Speaker 1: What pops in your mind?
[4:30] Speaker 4: Titanic, man. I know you hate that movie, man.
[4:33] Speaker 1: You know what?
[4:34] Speaker 2: Titanic.
[4:36] Speaker 1: I've been a little too harsh on Titanic. You are, man.
[4:39] Speaker 1: I'm a little too harsh.
[4:40] Speaker 2: It was a good movie.
[4:40] Speaker 3: I'm going to tell you my problem with Titanic. I
[4:43] Speaker 3: don't remember no other movie from my childhood that came
[4:45] Speaker 3: in two VCR tapes. That's your biggest beat? Man, and
[4:49] Speaker 3: it was me. It was a fat box. It was
[4:52] Speaker 3: a big booty box. We was watching it at my
[4:56] Speaker 3: cousin's house.
[4:57] Speaker 1: I was like, man, this is long.
[4:58] Speaker 2: And it ended.
[5:00] Speaker 1: They was like, yeah, put the next tape. And I
[5:01] Speaker 1: was like, man, what?
[5:04] Speaker 2: Another?
[5:04] Speaker 3: I didn't even know movies got that long.
[5:07] Speaker 2: Yeah. And it wasn't the first.
[5:09] Speaker 1: It's the first I remember. Yeah. I said, man, another tape.
[5:13] Speaker 2: I think Malcolm X had a big booty box.
[5:16] Speaker 3: I was in charge of the VCR that day.
[5:17] Speaker 2: Okay.
[5:18] Speaker 1: I watched that. I remember watching. And Malcolm X three
[5:20] Speaker 1: hours as well.
[5:21] Speaker 3: Man, I put that other tape in and they went
[5:24] Speaker 3: right back.
[5:24] Speaker 1: So then, Jack, I was like, oh my God, Lee.
[5:30] Speaker 2: Dang. It was funny, man.
[5:32] Speaker 4: You was probably enjoying the movie, but the fact that
[5:35] Speaker 4: I had put the next tape in.
[5:36] Speaker 2: Put the next tape in? Fuck this movie, man. Wait,
[5:42] Speaker 2: I thought you was enjoying it. I was until I
[5:44] Speaker 2: had to put another tape in.
[5:46] Speaker 1: Two tapes is crazy.
[5:48] Speaker 3: Now you got to rewind both tapes because you don't rewind,
[5:52] Speaker 3: they charge a fee. So rewind that tape, Kevin, then
[5:55] Speaker 3: put the first one back in and rewind that. I
[5:56] Speaker 3: was like, man, I hate Leonardo DiCaprio.
[5:59] Speaker 2: Get a whole mood change.
[6:00] Speaker 4: He was like, man, they really building something special. Now
[6:05] Speaker 4: you must put in another tape. I'm not even hungry
[6:08] Speaker 4: no more, man. Get this popcorn out of here, man.
[6:11] Speaker 4: Take me home.
[6:12] Speaker 2: You throw over here yourself. Take me home.
[6:15] Speaker 3: And also, I was 14 when Titanic came out, so
[6:20] Speaker 3: I expected it to be more about The ship crashing.
[6:27] Speaker 1: That ain't even until tape two.
[6:29] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[6:29] Speaker 1: They started out with, was it Billy Zane?
[6:32] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[6:32] Speaker 3: They started out with him and Leo's poor and steerage
[6:36] Speaker 3: and stuff.
[6:36] Speaker 1: I was like, man, bro, blow the boat up, y'all.
[6:39] Speaker 2: That was the key, though. Nah, man.
[6:42] Speaker 4: You got to care about the people inside the boat
[6:44] Speaker 4: to make the movie hit more.
[6:46] Speaker 1: Nah, I get that. But at 14, I was like, man,
[6:49] Speaker 1: kill them people, y'all. Let's get to the crash. I
[6:51] Speaker 1: want to see this. Yeah.
[6:54] Speaker 3: I want to see, ahoy! They was talking, and Rose,
[6:59] Speaker 3: he was drawing. I didn't see, you know what I'm saying,
[7:02] Speaker 3: he was drawing.
[7:02] Speaker 1: I was like, all right, this is all right. Rose
[7:04] Speaker 1: was like, ooh.
[7:05] Speaker 3: I was like, okay, you know, little Nick's living on
[7:09] Speaker 3: Cobby's house.
[7:10] Speaker 4: Well, that's the only way you can get news is
[7:12] Speaker 4: you got to hand draw it yourself. You want to
[7:15] Speaker 4: see me naked, you got to draw it. I'd be
[7:18] Speaker 4: shit out of luck. I'm a stick figure McGee, dog.
[7:22] Speaker 4: A big ass head, two big ass titties.
[7:26] Speaker 2: A little W for the coochie.
[7:28] Speaker 4: A little W for the coochie and a big P
[7:30] Speaker 4: for the booty cheeks. And then your feet going to
[7:33] Speaker 4: be long in stick figure form.
[7:36] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
[7:36] Speaker 4: I'll just be over there just like, I got.
[7:39] Speaker 1: You, girl.
[7:39] Speaker 2: I'm going to turn that shit over.
[7:42] Speaker 4: She's going to be like micro penis.
[7:48] Speaker 2: If I had to draw you good.
[7:51] Speaker 1: You act like you're drawing good. I'm going to sell it.
[7:55] Speaker 2: I just want to get the shadows just right. It's
[7:59] Speaker 2: all stick figures over here.
[8:02] Speaker 1: You see them feet being. What the hell was you
[8:05] Speaker 1: doing all the shading for? I just knew if I
[8:07] Speaker 1: turned it around fast, you was going to know.
[8:09] Speaker 2: I would be doing all this.
[8:15] Speaker 1: Hold on.
[8:15] Speaker 2: Let me erase.
[8:16] Speaker 1: This thing's been done for two hours.
[8:20] Speaker 4: This is going to be a stick figure with just
[8:22] Speaker 4: blackness all around it because that's when I was shading.
[8:30] Speaker 2: That's all I got, girl. Let me get the goods.
[8:34] Speaker 2: Let me get the goods, please, man. I can't draw.
[8:37] Speaker 1: The feet are longer than the titties.
[8:39] Speaker 4: The feet are going to be long as hell, man.
[8:42] Speaker 4: Why that feet so long? It was.
[8:44] Speaker 1: I can't draw feet. I never could.
[8:47] Speaker 2: I could never get the feet correct.
[8:49] Speaker 1: You got the sun in the corner.
[8:50] Speaker 3: You remember how I used to do the sun with
[8:52] Speaker 3: the little feet and five long?
[8:54] Speaker 2: Rays coming down. Why my titties so hard looking? I
[8:58] Speaker 2: couldn't get the nuance.
[9:01] Speaker 4: If I tried to give the real shape, then it
[9:03] Speaker 4: would look like Water drops.
[9:06] Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
[9:09] Speaker 2: Just let me get the goods, man. I can't draw.
[9:11] Speaker 3: I can't imagine nudes throughout history. You imagine getting a
[9:14] Speaker 3: nude with the camera that exploded? Like....
[9:19] Speaker 2: They got to hold the separate light. All right, hold still.
[9:22] Speaker 1: Clink!
[9:27] Speaker 2: God, no!
[9:29] Speaker 4: Send that to her. All right, we got to let
[9:31] Speaker 4: it develop. You got to go to the dark room.
[9:35] Speaker 4: You got to hang the picture up. You got to
[9:38] Speaker 4: come in there and check on it.
[9:39] Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
[9:40] Speaker 2: I look fat in this. Let's redo it. Man, I
[9:43] Speaker 2: ain't got no more bulbs left. Damn it.
[9:48] Speaker 1: You got to squeeze the bulb.
[9:49] Speaker 2: You got to do the bulbs every time.
[9:52] Speaker 1: It took six hours.
[9:56] Speaker 2: The ball be like, I'm gone, yo. It's a one
[10:00] Speaker 2: and done. Oh, snap.
[10:05] Speaker 1: Okay.
[10:06] Speaker 3: All right, now, so... Your favorite Leonardo DiCaprio movie. It
[10:12] Speaker 3: don't matter who else.
[10:14] Speaker 1: It is a favorite, too.
[10:15] Speaker 3: And you done picked two movies of me, so the
[10:17] Speaker 3: third better be different. I'm coming for you once again.
[10:20] Speaker 3: There ain't no way you're going to pick the same one.
[10:22] Speaker 2: I'm coming for you once again, Kev.
[10:23] Speaker 1: There ain't no way.
[10:26] Speaker 2: Now, this is tough.
[10:28] Speaker 1: Yes, he's got a lot of movies.
[10:31] Speaker 2: When I go for.
[10:32] Speaker 4: Pure Leo movie that I love the most, I gotta
[10:39] Speaker 4: go to Departed.
[10:42] Speaker 1: Thank God. I gotta go to Departed, man. It's a
[10:45] Speaker 1: great movie.
[10:46] Speaker 4: That movie was just fantastic, top to bottom.
[10:49] Speaker 2: Beginning to end. Beginning to end.
[10:53] Speaker 4: I was on the edge of my seat that whole movie, man.
[10:57] Speaker 4: By the time the movie went off, I wasn't even
[10:59] Speaker 4: sitting on the seat.
[11:00] Speaker 2: I was like.
[11:07] Speaker 2: I was down here by the time that shit went on.
[11:10] Speaker 1: I was.
[11:13] Speaker 2: Out the seat and he got clapped.
[11:18] Speaker 3: I still can't believe that dude killed him in the elevator, man.
[11:22] Speaker 1: I said, ain't no way.
[11:24] Speaker 2: Crazy.
[11:25] Speaker 1: Ain't no way. Because you got to have the double mole.
[11:30] Speaker 2: Double mole. You think there's only one of us, man?
[11:33] Speaker 2: Double mole.
[11:34] Speaker 1: Absolutely not.
[11:35] Speaker 3: We got a different answer. My answer, my favorite movie,
[11:40] Speaker 3: Catch Me If You Can.
[11:41] Speaker 2: Okay, all right. Your pick was safe.
[11:44] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[11:45] Speaker 2: Because if I didn't go to the party, it was
[11:47] Speaker 2: going to be Inception. Then Catch Me If You Can.
[11:49] Speaker 1: See, yes.
[11:51] Speaker 3: Actually, Inception, I rank higher as my top five movies.
[11:56] Speaker 4: But Catch Me If You Can is just a fun,
[12:00] Speaker 4: good movie.
[12:02] Speaker 3: My favorite scene in that movie, Leo was at his best.
[12:07] Speaker 3: when he filled his wallet up full of the stuff
[12:10] Speaker 3: from the room service and around the room, man, that
[12:13] Speaker 3: wallet had ketchup stuff on it.
[12:15] Speaker 1: And Tom Hanks was so mad, man. He looked out
[12:18] Speaker 1: the window. Man, that was brilliant. So yeah, that's my favorite.
[12:27] Speaker 1: That's my favorite movie.
[12:28] Speaker 3: All right.
[12:29] Speaker 1: Best movie.
[12:32] Speaker 2: Best movie.
[12:33] Speaker 1: Best.
[12:37] Speaker 3: To me, man, Inception probably is his best movie to me.
[12:44] Speaker 2: Inception to me is perfect.
[12:47] Speaker 1: That is a great.
[12:48] Speaker 3: That's Christopher Nolan doing Christopher Nolan stuff, but in the
[12:51] Speaker 3: best way. Yeah.
[12:52] Speaker 1: Because he didn't play with time much in the Batman movies.
[12:56] Speaker 2: No.
[12:56] Speaker 3: But the rest of his movie, actually, The Prestige either.
[13:00] Speaker 3: But he always plays with time. He was jumping around
[13:03] Speaker 3: in The Prestige.
[13:04] Speaker 1: Was it a lot? I don't remember a huge amount
[13:07] Speaker 1: of time.
[13:07] Speaker 2: Not a lot for Chris Manone, but it was.
[13:09] Speaker 1: A few flashbacks.
[13:10] Speaker 2: Substantial, yeah.
[13:11] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[13:12] Speaker 1: But Inception, it was the perfect amount of.
[13:15] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[13:17] Speaker 1: Also, Inception was a really interesting premise to me.
[13:19] Speaker 2: The premise was amazing.
[13:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, I was like.
[13:21] Speaker 2: That premise was fantastic. It just... The world that they built,
[13:25] Speaker 2: the rules within that premise... Yes. The practical effects, the tension,
[13:31] Speaker 2: the stakes, it was just... The acting... Yeah, the ensemble cast.
[13:37] Speaker 1: Yes.
[13:38] Speaker 2: The ending was perfect.
[13:41] Speaker 1: That was great with the totem and the top.
[13:46] Speaker 2: I would say that's his best movie.
[13:47] Speaker 1: That's his best movie, man.
[13:50] Speaker 2: If I could do this.
[13:51] Speaker 1: If I even could. He was like, I promise you
[13:55] Speaker 1: I cannot.
[13:56] Speaker 2: But I will try.
[13:57] Speaker 3: Oh, he said, I can't guarantee it.
[14:00] Speaker 1: What did he say?
[14:01] Speaker 3: Who?
[14:02] Speaker 1: The Asian dude.
[14:03] Speaker 2: Ken Watanabe.
[14:04] Speaker 5: Yeah. Hold on. Even if I could do this. What
[14:13] Speaker 5: did he say? Oh, there it is.
[14:18] Speaker 1: I need a guarantee.
[14:18] Speaker 2: Guarantee.
[14:19] Speaker 3: Oh.
[14:19] Speaker 2: I know you can deliver. Yeah. You don't. But I can.
[14:24] Speaker 3: But I can.
[14:25] Speaker 1: That's what it is.
[14:27] Speaker 2: You don't, but I can. Him being old. All right, Josh.
[14:30] Speaker 2: All right, Josh.
[14:31] Speaker 1: Him being an old man. It's just a great movie, man.
[14:34] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[14:36] Speaker 1: That was just, man.
[14:37] Speaker 2: Deception was fire.
[14:38] Speaker 1: All right, cool.
[14:40] Speaker 3: Least favorite movie. I'm really curious what yours is going
[14:43] Speaker 3: to be because I know mine. And I got a
[14:47] Speaker 3: vendetta against this movie. And I'm okay if I'm alone.
[14:53] Speaker 2: My least favorite Leo movie, man. I think I know
[14:56] Speaker 2: what you're going to pick.
[14:57] Speaker 1: You do know what I'm going to pick. I hate
[15:01] Speaker 1: that movie.
[15:03] Speaker 2: I'm going to probably have to go with my least favorite.
[15:13] Speaker 2: Probably The Beach.
[15:15] Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't see that.
[15:16] Speaker 4: Yeah, I saw it in theaters, man. This was after Titanic.
[15:21] Speaker 4: This was like his first movie after Titanic.
[15:25] Speaker 2: Um.
[15:26] Speaker 4: Actually, The Man in the Iron Mask came out after
[15:28] Speaker 4: Titanic as well, but The Beach was just like.
[15:30] Speaker 1: I don't remember this at all, Tony.
[15:31] Speaker 4: There's a reason why you didn't remember it. It was
[15:35] Speaker 4: mad forgettable, man.
[15:36] Speaker 1: What was it about?
[15:38] Speaker 2: I can't even tell you, man. But they was on
[15:40] Speaker 2: The Beach.
[15:41] Speaker 1: He was 26 in this?
[15:42] Speaker 2: It's a Danny Boyle movie.
[15:44] Speaker 1: He looks super young.
[15:46] Speaker 3: 26?
[15:46] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[15:52] Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to go with The Beach. That's the
[15:54] Speaker 4: one where I was just like, man, watch out, man.
[15:59] Speaker 2: Watch out.
[15:59] Speaker 1: Who's Danny Boyle known for?
[16:01] Speaker 2: 28 Days Later. Oh, yeah, Trace.
[16:03] Speaker 1: Love Dog Millionaire. Oh, yeah, 28 years later.
[16:07] Speaker 2: Great director, but that movie just wasn't it, man.
[16:10] Speaker 1: That's okay. Mine is Shutter Island.
[16:14] Speaker 2: Oh, that wasn't what I thought you was going to pick.
[16:16] Speaker 1: You going to pick The Revenant?
[16:17] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[16:17] Speaker 2: Yeah, no.
[16:18] Speaker 1: The Revenant had good parts.
[16:19] Speaker 4: I don't like Shutter Island the way everybody else does either.
[16:23] Speaker 2: I can't say this is worse.
[16:24] Speaker 1: I hated.
[16:26] Speaker 2: Damn.
[16:27] Speaker 1: Not hated.
[16:27] Speaker 2: I don't like it the way everybody else does.
[16:30] Speaker 1: I don't like, man. I thought that the twist, I
[16:32] Speaker 1: was like, man, nah. Yeah.
[16:35] Speaker 3: I don't like Shutter Island. I remember being like, I
[16:39] Speaker 3: feel like it was a worse version of A Beautiful Mind.
[16:42] Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
[16:43] Speaker 1: Beautiful Mind nailed that thing. Shut her out. And I
[16:46] Speaker 1: was like, what, man?
[16:47] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[16:48] Speaker 2: I didn't like the twist either.
[16:49] Speaker 1: Man, get out of here.
[16:51] Speaker 2: All this was fake. All this was pranks.
[16:53] Speaker 1: Man, watch out.
[16:54] Speaker 4: That movie was prank island. Mark Ruffalo fumbling as the
[17:01] Speaker 4: fake cop.
[17:01] Speaker 1: Watch.
[17:02] Speaker 3: I said, man, I remember being in the theater like,
[17:04] Speaker 3: all right, man, I don't even like popcorn now. And
[17:07] Speaker 3: I saw that out of town. I had a show somewhere.
[17:09] Speaker 3: And I was so hyped. We went as a group
[17:11] Speaker 3: to see it. I think we were in Chicago.
[17:12] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[17:13] Speaker 1: And I was just like, man, let's see Shutter Island, y'all.
[17:15] Speaker 1: And everybody was like, yeah, yeah.
[17:16] Speaker 2: And then we left.
[17:17] Speaker 1: We were like, man, can't watch you. I was like, man,
[17:20] Speaker 1: it was.
[17:20] Speaker 2: A lot of people like that movie, though.
[17:22] Speaker 1: People love that movie.
[17:24] Speaker 2: I'm not one of them, though.
[17:25] Speaker 1: I don't like that movie.
[17:26] Speaker 2: Martin Scorsese, man. Was it him?
[17:28] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[17:30] Speaker 1: Let's stick to the mob stuff, man. Shut up and dribble, Martin.
[17:35] Speaker 1: All right, next up. Best chemistry in a movie.
[17:47] Speaker 2: Him and Kate had that chemistry, man. They did.
[17:51] Speaker 3: That's what makes Titanic. I got a love story between them.
[17:56] Speaker 2: Even in Revolutionary Road, they had that chemistry again.
[18:00] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[18:01] Speaker 2: So I got to go with him and Kate. Him
[18:03] Speaker 2: and Kate Winslet is the two.
[18:06] Speaker 1: I'm going to go Tom Hanks.
[18:09] Speaker 2: He had great chemistry, and he'd catch me if he can.
[18:10] Speaker 3: That cat and mouse game, and then they're on each
[18:14] Speaker 3: other's side, and then when Leo tries to let go,
[18:17] Speaker 3: and Tom's like.
[18:17] Speaker 1: I'm going to let you fly. Ain't nobody out here.
[18:20] Speaker 1: That cat and mouse doesn't work without their chemistry. Yeah.
[18:23] Speaker 1: Because he was just escaping.
[18:26] Speaker 3: Because you know Tom Hanks is smart, but Leo's just
[18:29] Speaker 3: a little smarter.
[18:31] Speaker 1: And he's young Frank Abagnale.
[18:34] Speaker 2: Abagnale?
[18:36] Speaker 1: And Christopher Walken, he had good chemistry.
[18:37] Speaker 3: Christopher Walken was great in there. They had a great father-son.
[18:41] Speaker 3: It was perfect, man. But yeah, I think him and
[18:44] Speaker 3: Tom was just.
[18:48] Speaker 3: I just love that movie. But Kate Winslet.
[18:53] Speaker 4: That chemistry is what propelled that movie to the highest
[18:58] Speaker 4: grossing movie of all time.
[18:59] Speaker 1: What was it at?
[19:01] Speaker 2: When it was initially released?
[19:02] Speaker 1: What was the number that it kind of plateaued at?
[19:06] Speaker 2: I think worldwide. Was it 1.7?
[19:12] Speaker 1: Billion? Worldwide.
[19:14] Speaker 2: Let me double check on the worldwide.
[19:15] Speaker 1: Box office nerd here.
[19:17] Speaker 2: Box office nerd here.
[19:18] Speaker 1: What happened to your finger?
[19:21] Speaker 4: Oh, I slammed it in the refrigerator. And I don't
[19:23] Speaker 4: know how I was able to pull it off.
[19:26] Speaker 2: But I slammed it.
[19:28] Speaker 1: In the opening part?
[19:29] Speaker 4: I was trying to switch from the refrigerator to the
[19:32] Speaker 4: freezer too fast. And I slammed my finger up in the.
[19:37] Speaker 4: That shit hurt like hell. Oh, it's at 2.2 billion.
[19:41] Speaker 3: Dang!
[19:42] Speaker 2: They did re-releases.
[19:46] Speaker 1: How many?
[19:46] Speaker 4: I don't know how many re-releases they did, but I
[19:49] Speaker 4: know it added to the... But it said right now,
[19:53] Speaker 4: 674 domestic, 1.5 worldwide, 2.2 billion. That's chemistry, man.
[20:00] Speaker 1: 2.2 billion dollars for one movie?
[20:04] Speaker 2: That's crazy. Golly!
[20:07] Speaker 1: That's Mm-hmm. James Cameron, man.
[20:13] Speaker 2: Jimmy Cameron, though.
[20:14] Speaker 1: He know how to get to the money.
[20:16] Speaker 2: He do.
[20:17] Speaker 1: He know how to make a... Is there more of
[20:19] Speaker 1: a blockbuster director than him?
[20:21] Speaker 2: Probably not.
[20:22] Speaker 1: Nobody come close to his box office revenue.
[20:25] Speaker 2: Per pound?
[20:26] Speaker 1: Per pound or cumulative.
[20:29] Speaker 4: Well, Steven Spielberg is more cumulative.
[20:35] Speaker 1: Steven Spielberg more?
[20:36] Speaker 2: Yeah. Overall, because he got more movies.
[20:39] Speaker 1: Really?
[20:40] Speaker 4: Because if you think about Jurassic Park, E.T., Jaws, Raiders
[20:48] Speaker 4: of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, Last Crusade.
[20:51] Speaker 1: That's some rap.
[20:52] Speaker 2: Yeah. That's some rap.
[20:54] Speaker 3: E.T.
[20:54] Speaker 2: E.T.
[20:55] Speaker 4: Was the highest grossing movie at one point in time.
[20:57] Speaker 4: Then Jurassic Park beat it.
[20:59] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[20:59] Speaker 1: It's him beating him.
[21:01] Speaker 2: You know, Saving Private Ryan.
[21:03] Speaker 1: You right.
[21:04] Speaker 2: James Cameron just doesn't make as many movies.
[21:05] Speaker 4: But if you go pound for pound, it's James Cameron
[21:09] Speaker 4: all day.
[21:10] Speaker 2: Avatar.
[21:12] Speaker 4: To make the highest grossing movie of all time is
[21:14] Speaker 4: already a feat. But to beat your own record.
[21:17] Speaker 1: Let me give it to you straight up.
[21:19] Speaker 2: It's crazy.
[21:19] Speaker 1: Steven Spielberg. It's closer than you think.
[21:22] Speaker 2: $ 11.
[21:22] Speaker 3: 3 billion for Stevie Spiels.
[21:28] Speaker 1: James Cameron, 10.59 billion.
[21:31] Speaker 2: That's crazy.
[21:31] Speaker 3: Number one movie for Steve is 1.05. Number one for
[21:36] Speaker 3: James is 2.92. Third is 6.8 billion for the Russo brothers.
[21:43] Speaker 2: Look at that gap.
[21:44] Speaker 1: Yeah. Almost half.
[21:45] Speaker 2: That gap is crazy.
[21:47] Speaker 1: Peter Jackson is fourth.
[21:48] Speaker 2: Really?
[21:49] Speaker 1: Lord of the Rings.
[21:50] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
[21:50] Speaker 1: 6.5.
[21:51] Speaker 2: And he did The Hobbits, too.
[21:53] Speaker 1: Yep. Michael Bay is fifth.
[21:55] Speaker 2: 6.5. Where's Christopher Nolan at?
[21:58] Speaker 1: I'm about to go down more.
[22:00] Speaker 2: He creeping up, though.
[22:01] Speaker 1: David Yates is seven.
[22:03] Speaker 2: Harry Potter.
[22:03] Speaker 1: Harry Potter. Ridley Scott is eight. Oh. Tim Burton is nine. Okay.
[22:09] Speaker 1: Andrew Stanton, 10. Toy Story.
[22:13] Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Man, what's that?
[22:14] Speaker 1: What are you asking for?
[22:15] Speaker 2: Christopher Nolan. Where he at?
[22:17] Speaker 1: He ain't even in the top 10. 11, 12.
[22:19] Speaker 2: When they make this list?
[22:21] Speaker 1: This is Wikipedia.
[22:23] Speaker 2: I wonder how up to date.
[22:25] Speaker 1: Oh, you talking about the Odyssey?
[22:28] Speaker 4: Was this the Odyssey, Inception, Batman, Dark Knight trilogy? Where
[22:32] Speaker 4: Christopher Nolan at, man?
[22:34] Speaker 1: This might not be right then.
[22:35] Speaker 4: Because the Dark Knight and the Dark Knight Rises cleared
[22:38] Speaker 4: a billion each on their own.
[22:40] Speaker 2: That's two.
[22:43] Speaker 1: This is top 50 and I don't see Christopher Nolan yet.
[22:46] Speaker 2: That list is forfeit.
[22:49] Speaker 1: Let me see if there's another article.
[22:51] Speaker 2: All right, here we go.
[22:53] Speaker 1: Let's go to IMDb.
[22:54] Speaker 2: They'll know.
[22:56] Speaker 1: Wikipedia, that ain't been updated. Okay, Stevie Spiels. Oh, this
[23:00] Speaker 1: ain't right. Because they got Robert Zemeckis, too.
[23:03] Speaker 2: That's number two? Maccabee, three.
[23:04] Speaker 1: Maccabee, four. Ron Howard, five. George Lucas. This has Christopher Nolan, nine.
[23:12] Speaker 2: This is gross?
[23:14] Speaker 1: IMDb, yeah. This doesn't have the numbers on it, though.
[23:17] Speaker 2: Watch out, man. Hold on.
[23:19] Speaker 1: Man, go to your numbers thing.
[23:27] Speaker 2: Hold on.
[23:34] Speaker 4: Right now, today, Christopher Nolan is sitting at $ 7. 7 billion
[23:38] Speaker 4: to $ 8 billion total box office.
[23:39] Speaker 1: God dog.
[23:40] Speaker 4: So that would put him ahead of the Russo brothers,
[23:42] Speaker 4: but still behind James and Steve.
[23:46] Speaker 1: All right, here we go.
[23:46] Speaker 2: That's making sense.
[23:47] Speaker 3: Stevie Spills. This has Christopher Nolan number three. This has
[23:55] Speaker 3: Steven Spielberg, 11.17 billion. James Cameron, 10.3. Christopher Nolan, 8.3.
[23:59] Speaker 2: Now we cooking.
[24:01] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[24:01] Speaker 3: Joe Russo. Joe and Anthony Russo, 6.8. Peter Jackson, 6.5.
[24:05] Speaker 3: Michael Bay. Davey Yates. Ridley Scott.
[24:07] Speaker 1: Tim Burton. Jon Favreau. Jon Favreau.
[24:10] Speaker 2: Because them Iron Man. Iron Man and the Jungle Book.
[24:12] Speaker 1: Yeah. And the Jungle Book. J.J.
[24:14] Speaker 2: Abrams.
[24:14] Speaker 1: He got them Star Wars movies. Ron Howard. Ron Howard.
[24:19] Speaker 3: 4.4.
[24:19] Speaker 2: That's respectable.
[24:21] Speaker 1: What did he do that was that crazy?
[24:22] Speaker 4: Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Backdraft.
[24:27] Speaker 1: Rush, Caligari Stole Christmas. Sam Raimi, them Spider-Mans.
[24:31] Speaker 2: Yep.
[24:32] Speaker 1: And then number 15 is Robert Zemeckis.
[24:35] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
[24:35] Speaker 4: Back to the Future. Who framed Roger Rabbit? Oh, thank
[24:39] Speaker 4: God for Jessica Rabbit.
[24:40] Speaker 2: What lies beneath? I'm a nerd, man.
[24:44] Speaker 1: Yes, you are.
[24:47] Speaker 3: We should always have something that we nerd about, man.
[24:51] Speaker 2: Absolutely.
[24:51] Speaker 1: It's unhealthy to not nerd out about something.
[24:54] Speaker 2: Gotta nerd about something, man.
[24:56] Speaker 3: That's what you... What are you over-indexing on, man? You
[25:02] Speaker 3: gotta have something that you care about.
[25:03] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[25:03] Speaker 2: Okay?
[25:05] Speaker 1: You gotta deep dive on something.
[25:07] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[25:08] Speaker 1: Football, trading cards, Pokemans.
[25:11] Speaker 2: Something.
[25:12] Speaker 1: Something.
[25:13] Speaker 4: All right.
[25:14] Speaker 1: Next up. Role they haven't played in a movie that
[25:19] Speaker 1: you'd like to see them play. He ain't been in
[25:33] Speaker 1: a comedy, has he?
[25:35] Speaker 2: Wolf of Wall Street is a comedy.
[25:37] Speaker 3: Man, that scene when he was dancing and then the scene.
[25:44] Speaker 4: Wolf of Wall Street is a straight up comedy. I
[25:47] Speaker 4: don't care what nobody say. That shit was mad ridiculous.
[25:51] Speaker 3: When you cut to him and he thought he walked
[25:53] Speaker 3: to the car and he was on Quaaludes, I laughed
[25:56] Speaker 3: out loud.
[25:58] Speaker 4: That was physical Jim Carrey level comedy. It was ridiculous.
[26:08] Speaker 4: Wolf of Wall Street is pure comedy.
[26:10] Speaker 1: It ain't pure.
[26:11] Speaker 4: I mean.
[26:13] Speaker 2: Kind of is, man. Newcastle's ridiculous, though.
[26:16] Speaker 1: I want Leonardo DiCaprio in a Wayans Brothers movie.
[26:18] Speaker 2: Oh, you want it straight up.
[26:20] Speaker 3: Slapstick, Dumb and Dumber 3 with Leo. Because he's funny.
[26:25] Speaker 2: He is funny. I would like to see Leo in
[26:27] Speaker 2: a straight up, for sure, comedy.
[26:29] Speaker 1: Straight up comedy. Yeah.
[26:32] Speaker 2: With the Wayans Brothers. I would like to see that.
[26:35] Speaker 2: I would like to see that.
[26:38] Speaker 1: Oh, brother.
[26:39] Speaker 3: At least you're an attractive nerd. Man, get off his dick.
[26:44] Speaker 3: I already got to deal with this. You know how
[26:46] Speaker 3: many homegirls text me about Tony? I'd be like, man,
[26:48] Speaker 3: DM him. Tony's still on them vegetables?
[26:53] Speaker 1: What kind of question is this? What are you even asking?
[26:55] Speaker 3: Tony's still like, he's still a vegan?
[26:57] Speaker 1: He ain't even a vegan.
[26:58] Speaker 2: Oh.
[27:01] Speaker 1: My homegirls, same homegirls check in every nine months. Tony's
[27:04] Speaker 1: still with that girl.
[27:05] Speaker 3: Whole time he was Sabrina, they're still together.
[27:08] Speaker 1: Man, you see them on Instagram.
[27:12] Speaker 3: Stop coming through me. I ain't hating Nana P27. I
[27:16] Speaker 3: ain't even about complimenting me. Tony got DMs. Homegirls text me.
[27:23] Speaker 3: I got some celery for him.
[27:24] Speaker 1: What does that even mean?
[27:25] Speaker 2: I got some celery for him.
[27:28] Speaker 3: Tony still like the vegetables. I know he likes peanut butter.
[27:31] Speaker 3: I'll put it in a place he'll like. Man, stop
[27:33] Speaker 3: telling me that. I don't want to hear that stuff.
[27:38] Speaker 3: He ain't a dog. Just put peanut butter on your
[27:41] Speaker 3: coochie so Tony can lick it, man. Oh, don't say
[27:44] Speaker 3: that stuff to me.
[27:45] Speaker 4: Oh.
[27:46] Speaker 1: That's why my DM's is closed.
[27:48] Speaker 2: All right.
[27:48] Speaker 1: Straight up comedy. Somebody in here said a serial killer.
[27:52] Speaker 2: I thought about that. He was supposed to play one.
[27:55] Speaker 1: Who?
[27:55] Speaker 4: He was supposed to play this serial killer called H.H.
[27:59] Speaker 4: Holmes or something.
[28:01] Speaker 1: Is that a real person?
[28:02] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[28:02] Speaker 4: He had like this big ass mansion that he was
[28:06] Speaker 4: killing people in.
[28:07] Speaker 2: And it was set up for his murders. Oh, snap.
[28:11] Speaker 2: He had trap doors and all kind of shit.
[28:13] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[28:14] Speaker 4: And I kept reading about him being attached to this,
[28:18] Speaker 4: but then I don't know.
[28:20] Speaker 1: I never heard about this.
[28:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
[28:22] Speaker 4: So I don't know if that's still in development. I
[28:24] Speaker 4: don't know if that's still something he wanted to do.
[28:26] Speaker 4: But it was definitely something I read about several times.
[28:29] Speaker 3: I think he could play. He does a good villain role.
[28:35] Speaker 3: in Django, even though it's a small role. But a
[28:40] Speaker 3: straight-up villain, murderer, psychopath.
[28:44] Speaker 2: That'd be great.
[28:44] Speaker 3: That'd be great for him. He's a great actor. He
[28:46] Speaker 3: was so good in that Paul Thomas Anderson movie. I'm
[28:51] Speaker 3: blanking on the name.
[28:52] Speaker 2: One battle.
[28:54] Speaker 3: Man, when he was at the parent-teacher conference, he was
[28:56] Speaker 3: trying to vape and stuff. He was like, what you
[28:57] Speaker 3: got going with all the presidents?
[29:00] Speaker 1: He was just a really believable as that character. He was.
[29:02] Speaker 2: He was funny.
[29:04] Speaker 1: In that, too. When he didn't know the answer.
[29:05] Speaker 4: When he didn't know the password. That was funny as hell, dog.
[29:09] Speaker 1: I'm going to kill you, man.
[29:11] Speaker 3: I'm high. Tone, I smell his. It was a stupid
[29:18] Speaker 3: darkest son of Christ. He was like, I'm going to
[29:20] Speaker 3: kill you. And I love that he didn't let it
[29:22] Speaker 3: go when they got him.
[29:25] Speaker 1: Hey, put the manager on the phone. Man, I'm going
[29:28] Speaker 1: to kill you.
[29:29] Speaker 2: It was hilarious in that movie.
[29:30] Speaker 1: It was so funny.
[29:31] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[29:32] Speaker 1: It was real. It was realistic. all right.
[29:38] Speaker 3: Leonardo dicaprio's best scene in a movie oh that's this
[29:43] Speaker 3: is tough man this is really tough because i'm man
[29:50] Speaker 3: he has so many standout roles but I'm off the top.
[29:53] Speaker 3: I'm struggling for like a singular.
[29:55] Speaker 1: Right.
[29:56] Speaker 2: Me too.
[29:56] Speaker 3: Theme that is like, Oh my God, this is, if
[29:59] Speaker 3: you gotta be like, man, who's Leo? What would you
[30:01] Speaker 3: even show them?
[30:03] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[30:04] Speaker 4: He had a great scene in revolutionary road when they
[30:07] Speaker 4: were arguing back and forth. Um, he had a great
[30:14] Speaker 4: scene in that, like the emotions in that scene.
[30:19] Speaker 2: Was just crazy. Um, I'm blanking on that. Yeah, a
[30:28] Speaker 2: particular scene is tough.
[30:32] Speaker 4: The scene where he discovers that his mom is dead
[30:34] Speaker 4: and what's he eating, Gilbert Grape?
[30:38] Speaker 2: That's another one that stands out.
[30:39] Speaker 1: You know what?
[30:40] Speaker 3: I'm going to go with you, Tamera. The dinner table
[30:43] Speaker 3: scene in Django.
[30:45] Speaker 2: That was a good scene.
[30:46] Speaker 1: And he made his hand bleed by mistake. Yeah. That was.
[30:53] Speaker 2: That was a good scene, too.
[30:54] Speaker 1: That's a good scene.
[30:55] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[30:56] Speaker 1: Yeah. The bear attack. I hate, man.
[30:59] Speaker 2: Oh, God.
[31:01] Speaker 1: The Revenant is so pretentious, man. I hate that.
[31:05] Speaker 3: That movie is spoiled for me. I just don't think
[31:09] Speaker 3: that movie was that. Man, I don't care about that movie.
[31:15] Speaker 1: Natural Light, man. Shut up.
[31:20] Speaker 3: I'm going with Tamra Tips won. The dinner scene in Django.
[31:24] Speaker 1: Okay.
[31:27] Speaker 3: He was legit terrifying for a second there.
[31:31] Speaker 1: And that blood and Sam.
[31:36] Speaker 2: He got a lot of great scenes, though.
[31:38] Speaker 1: He has a few good scenes in the Diamond movie.
[31:42] Speaker 2: Blood Diamond. Yeah, yeah.
[31:44] Speaker 1: He's got a few good scenes in there with Jaimon. Yeah.
[31:48] Speaker 4: He got great scenes in The Departed. His desperation and
[31:51] Speaker 4: panic in The Departed.
[31:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right.
[31:54] Speaker 3: Acting-wise, I think what draws me to Leo, man, you
[31:58] Speaker 3: believe him.
[31:59] Speaker 2: You believe him every time.
[32:00] Speaker 3: That desperation in The Departed, he looked like, I'm going
[32:03] Speaker 3: to get found out.
[32:04] Speaker 1: Yeah. And I'm going to be killed.
[32:07] Speaker 2: Get me out of here.
[32:08] Speaker 1: And Martin Sheen was doing a good job. Like, we
[32:10] Speaker 1: almost got it.
[32:11] Speaker 2: Right.
[32:11] Speaker 1: But you could see Leo like, oh, my God, man.
[32:14] Speaker 2: Nah.
[32:15] Speaker 5: Right.
[32:15] Speaker 3: Remember when they thought they knew who the cop was
[32:17] Speaker 3: and the two dudes was outside? Bro, he was like
[32:19] Speaker 3: wringing his hands with fear.
[32:22] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[32:22] Speaker 2: That movie was pure tension.
[32:24] Speaker 1: Oh, booty cheeks clenched. Tight. Uncut gems level of tension.
[32:29] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[32:29] Speaker 4: That's what I like about Leo and Denzel. People always
[32:33] Speaker 4: give them the criticism, they be the same person.
[32:35] Speaker 2: I don't care. Do I believe you every time I
[32:40] Speaker 2: see you? I believe Leo and Denzel. Every time I
[32:45] Speaker 2: see them.
[32:46] Speaker 1: 100% of the time, every time.
[32:47] Speaker 2: That's what's important to me.
[32:49] Speaker 4: You get props for being a chameleon that's cool, but
[32:52] Speaker 4: sometimes if you're a chameleon into somebody I don't care.
[32:54] Speaker 2: About, then it's null and void. I don't see you, man.
[32:58] Speaker 2: I'll just be like, man, watch out.
[32:59] Speaker 4: Daniel Day-Lewis is probably the greatest skilled actor I've ever seen.
[33:05] Speaker 2: But some of his movies, I'll just be like, watch out.
[33:09] Speaker 3: And also, Leo's great in Gangs of New York.
[33:12] Speaker 4: Well... But he was up against Daniel Day-Lewis, so he
[33:15] Speaker 4: was looking mad pedestrian. When Leo was in Game of
[33:20] Speaker 4: New York with Daniel Day, it was.
[33:24] Speaker 2: The gap was far.
[33:26] Speaker 1: You think so?
[33:26] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[33:28] Speaker 1: Because Leo's character was just too....
[33:33] Speaker 2: It was just too cut and dry.
[33:34] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[33:35] Speaker 2: And Daniel Day is having the time of his goddamn life.
[33:38] Speaker 1: And he gets.
[33:39] Speaker 3: They often cast him with an ability to go to
[33:42] Speaker 3: the max.
[33:43] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[33:43] Speaker 1: You know, old... I mean.
[33:46] Speaker 2: There will be blood.
[33:47] Speaker 3: There will be blood. I'm about to say old blood
[33:50] Speaker 3: for men. Old blood for country men. Bloody men in
[33:53] Speaker 3: the country. There will be blood.
[33:56] Speaker 1: Because he's just... I drink your milkshake.
[33:59] Speaker 2: Drink it up.
[34:01] Speaker 1: But he just gets... Or he doesn't. But when he
[34:05] Speaker 1: was your boy, what was his character's name in?
[34:09] Speaker 2: The Butcher.
[34:11] Speaker 1: The Butcher. He gets to go there. Yeah.
[34:13] Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
[34:14] Speaker 1: But that's what they cast him for.
[34:16] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[34:16] Speaker 1: Even as Lincoln.
[34:17] Speaker 3: He don't get to do that scene, but Daniel Day
[34:20] Speaker 3: is just really intense about his role.
[34:22] Speaker 2: For me, Daniel Day carried that movie. That movie. Gangs
[34:26] Speaker 2: of New York? That movie as a whole. Yeah. It
[34:29] Speaker 2: was just okay.
[34:30] Speaker 1: Yeah. He makes it interesting.
[34:31] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[34:32] Speaker 4: Daniel Day-Lewis 100% made that movie way more watchable.
[34:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with that.
[34:38] Speaker 3: 1,000%.
[34:38] Speaker 1: Yeah. So what scene are you going with? Dang, man.
[34:42] Speaker 1: Come on, man. Spit it out.
[34:47] Speaker 2: I'm going to just go with a small scene. Man, dog.
[34:53] Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying? There's a scene in Revolutionary
[35:02] Speaker 4: Road where they're arguing.
[35:04] Speaker 1: Him and the wife? Yeah. Okay.
[35:06] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[35:06] Speaker 1: I bet. Most overrated movie, The Revenant. The Revenant. The
[35:14] Speaker 1: Revenant is the most overrated movie.
[35:16] Speaker 2: Shutter Island for me.
[35:18] Speaker 1: The Revenant.
[35:20] Speaker 3: They gave him a We Owe You an Oscar for
[35:22] Speaker 3: another movie Oscar.
[35:24] Speaker 1: Who was in there that year?
[35:25] Speaker 2: He was great in there, though.
[35:26] Speaker 1: He was.
[35:26] Speaker 2: I don't know who he was up against.
[35:29] Speaker 1: He was in there, I believe. Will?
[35:31] Speaker 2: I think so.
[35:32] Speaker 1: What year was that?
[35:33] Speaker 2: That was like, what, 2019?
[35:37] Speaker 1: 2018?
[35:37] Speaker 2: 2019? Wait, let me look. Oh, 2015! Damn! Time flying, y'all.
[35:47] Speaker 1: That's 11 years ago already?
[35:49] Speaker 2: The Revenant was 2015? Oh, no.
[35:54] Speaker 1: That's fine, actually.
[35:55] Speaker 2: Who was it?
[35:56] Speaker 3: It was Brian Cranston and Trumbo. Matt Damon, The Martian,
[35:59] Speaker 3: Michael Fassbender, Steve Jobs, and Eddie Redmayne, The Danish Girl.
[36:02] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah, man.
[36:03] Speaker 1: They could have gave it to him.
[36:04] Speaker 2: Hell, yeah. He was good in The Revenant.
[36:06] Speaker 1: He was good.
[36:08] Speaker 2: Shutter Island is overrated.
[36:09] Speaker 1: Shutter Island is overrated.
[36:11] Speaker 2: That shit overrated for me.
[36:14] Speaker 1: They had 12 nominations, The Revenant?
[36:16] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[36:17] Speaker 4: Tom Hardy, Leo, best picture, best director, cinematography, sound design, lighting,
[36:25] Speaker 4: all the technical shit. And that bear scene was incredible.
[36:29] Speaker 1: Watch out. Hollywood was just jacking off to that movie.
[36:37] Speaker 2: Matt Damon was really good in The Martian, though. He was.
[36:42] Speaker 2: He was good in the morning.
[36:43] Speaker 1: I feel like they was just going to give him
[36:44] Speaker 1: that Oscar regardless.
[36:45] Speaker 2: They owed him, man. But the thing is, every time
[36:48] Speaker 2: Leo lost, it was a legit lose. It was.
[36:51] Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
[36:52] Speaker 4: It wasn't like Leo lost to some bums.
[36:57] Speaker 1: And then sometimes it just go like that.
[36:59] Speaker 2: It go like that.
[37:00] Speaker 1: It's just like Angel Reese this year, right? I hope
[37:03] Speaker 1: she wins the championship.
[37:04] Speaker 3: And she got a year where Asia's not, you don't
[37:07] Speaker 3: gotta go through Asia.
[37:09] Speaker 1: And if you win, hey man, sometimes you lucky.
[37:12] Speaker 3: Them niggas who had to play Jordan, I respect that
[37:15] Speaker 3: y'all lost because Charles Barkley was hooping and Jordan was like,
[37:21] Speaker 3: I'm hooping more. And I respect you didn't win because
[37:25] Speaker 3: Jordan was like, nah.
[37:27] Speaker 2: Nah, I'm going to get that. Sorry, Karl Malone.
[37:30] Speaker 1: I'm sorry, bro.
[37:32] Speaker 2: Sorry, Charles Barkley.
[37:33] Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
[37:34] Speaker 2: Magic, you're done.
[37:36] Speaker 1: You're, you know what?
[37:37] Speaker 2: Clyde Drexler.
[37:38] Speaker 3: I'm glad you brought this up. I want to ask
[37:39] Speaker 3: you about this. Somebody brought this up and you were
[37:41] Speaker 3: a Michael Jordan lover.
[37:43] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[37:45] Speaker 3: Somebody said this and I hadn't thought about this and
[37:47] Speaker 3: I beat too little too hard on Jordan. You know, he,
[37:52] Speaker 3: Deserves everything. But somebody said this and I wanted to
[37:54] Speaker 3: talk to you about it, but I forgot. But you
[37:55] Speaker 3: just reminded me when you brought him up and I
[37:57] Speaker 3: brought him up. Somebody said Jordan gets let off the
[38:02] Speaker 3: hook for the two years he left. And Hakeem is
[38:09] Speaker 3: tarnished because he won and Jordan quit or retired. They
[38:14] Speaker 3: were like, somehow nobody holds it against. So the point
[38:18] Speaker 3: the person made, it was like, Imagine that when Kevin
[38:21] Speaker 3: Durant went to Golden State, if LeBron James just said,
[38:25] Speaker 3: I'm retired for two years, and then Kevin Durant won
[38:29] Speaker 3: his two rings, and I think he won two and
[38:32] Speaker 3: then he left, if I'm not mistaken. So imagine if
[38:35] Speaker 3: LeBron left, because nobody counts that against him because he
[38:38] Speaker 3: didn't play, and then when he came back, he wins
[38:41] Speaker 3: three more.
[38:43] Speaker 1: And Akeem gets the, well, he ain't go through Jordan.
[38:47] Speaker 1: Akeem didn't retire.
[38:49] Speaker 2: No, he stayed in there.
[38:50] Speaker 3: Akeem gets the negative because he didn't beat Jordan, but
[38:53] Speaker 3: Akeem is like, I can only play who's.
[38:56] Speaker 1: In the lead.
[38:57] Speaker 4: As far as I'm concerned, Akeem's wins is legit.
[39:02] Speaker 3: And I don't believe Jordan would have won eight straight.
[39:04] Speaker 3: I don't think Jordan believes that. When you watch the documentaries,
[39:07] Speaker 3: they were like, man, we were on the brink of...
[39:12] Speaker 3: Total chaos at the end of the first three. Mike
[39:14] Speaker 3: was like, I didn't have it anymore. I don't fault
[39:17] Speaker 3: him for retiring at all. He had a lot going
[39:20] Speaker 3: on in his family life, and he played at a
[39:22] Speaker 3: high level. I don't fault him for returning back. But
[39:24] Speaker 3: I do think.
[39:26] Speaker 1: What happens to Jordan doesn't happen to other people.
[39:28] Speaker 3: People don't hold it against him that he retired, and
[39:31] Speaker 3: they don't hold the Wizards' years against him.
[39:34] Speaker 1: LeBron is.
[39:35] Speaker 3: And anybody else, every year of their thing is held
[39:39] Speaker 3: against them.
[39:40] Speaker 1: Yeah. When he was on the Wizards, y'all like, no,
[39:42] Speaker 1: you was in the league.
[39:43] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[39:43] Speaker 3: For whatever reason, you was in the league. That needs
[39:46] Speaker 3: to count, too. It's like we only care about Jordan's
[39:50] Speaker 3: the sixth year of the finals. People pretend that that's
[39:54] Speaker 3: all his stuff.
[39:54] Speaker 1: Right.
[39:55] Speaker 3: He won six straight finals. But Isaiah and them was
[39:58] Speaker 3: whooping him.
[39:58] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[39:59] Speaker 3: And he lost to the Magic. He lost to the postseason. Rodman,
[40:04] Speaker 3: he was back.
[40:05] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[40:05] Speaker 1: And then he lost after he left the Bulls. That counts.
[40:08] Speaker 3: If it counts for anybody else, LeBron, KD, Steph, their
[40:12] Speaker 3: whole career counts.
[40:13] Speaker 1: Right.
[40:14] Speaker 3: But Jordan, because we love him so much, we just
[40:16] Speaker 3: be like, yo, brother, man, we gonna make it perfect.
[40:20] Speaker 2: But it wasn't. Yeah, it wasn't.
[40:22] Speaker 3: No.
[40:22] Speaker 4: He lost a lot in the postseason, even though he
[40:24] Speaker 4: was playing his ass off, putting those numbers up.
[40:27] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[40:28] Speaker 2: It's because when you look at Jordan... As an individual player,
[40:34] Speaker 2: he always delivered.
[40:35] Speaker 3: And this is where I think Jordan doesn't get enough
[40:39] Speaker 3: credit for.
[40:39] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[40:40] Speaker 3: The argument I hate the most is he was playing
[40:43] Speaker 3: against plumbers and... Oh, I can't stand that shit. Let
[40:45] Speaker 3: me tell you what.
[40:47] Speaker 1: Charles Barkley in that season... Only Michael Jordan could have
[40:51] Speaker 1: stopped him. He was on a chair.
[40:54] Speaker 2: Charles Barkley was balling. In any era. Don't give me
[40:59] Speaker 2: that horse shit. It was different back then. You put
[41:01] Speaker 2: Charles Barkley.
[41:02] Speaker 4: In today's game, he gonna dominate.
[41:05] Speaker 1: Charles Barkley was a beast. The Sonics... Beast, Dump Jack.
[41:12] Speaker 2: Don Kemper and them and the Sonics, man. Come on, man.
[41:14] Speaker 3: Man, I remember the Sonics was like, the problem we
[41:17] Speaker 3: couldn't solve was Rodman.
[41:18] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[41:19] Speaker 3: They were like, Jordan, we knew he, nothing he gonna do.
[41:21] Speaker 2: You guys just like Jordan's school. We just gotta work
[41:23] Speaker 2: on the rest.
[41:24] Speaker 3: But they was like, man, Rodman. God dang Rodman. And
[41:28] Speaker 3: that's the thing about the team. And also, they give
[41:33] Speaker 3: Mike never.
[41:34] Speaker 1: Makes it seem like it was just him.
[41:36] Speaker 2: No, he never paints that picture.
[41:38] Speaker 1: Other people do that.
[41:39] Speaker 3: When you listen to him talk, he'd be like, I
[41:41] Speaker 3: needed Pippen, Rodman, Paxton. He do, but because he don't
[41:46] Speaker 3: talk that much, we as the people and his defenders
[41:51] Speaker 3: talk for him in a way he doesn't talk. And
[41:53] Speaker 3: he's actually not even harsh on today's game the way
[41:55] Speaker 3: a lot of old players are.
[41:57] Speaker 2: He ain't on today's game.
[41:58] Speaker 3: But yeah, when he was at his peak... I'm so sorry, y'all.
[42:04] Speaker 3: You're going to lose.
[42:05] Speaker 2: That's what it was.
[42:07] Speaker 4: And that's part of the allure of Jordan. It was
[42:09] Speaker 4: just like, he never faltered individually.
[42:14] Speaker 1: No.
[42:15] Speaker 2: He was delivering. He didn't come up short in the
[42:17] Speaker 2: finals when it was crunch time. All these other people
[42:19] Speaker 2: you can say that about.
[42:20] Speaker 1: As a LeBron fan.
[42:22] Speaker 2: Evan Durant choked in the finals, letting him come back
[42:24] Speaker 2: and then lose.
[42:25] Speaker 1: Even before the finals.
[42:26] Speaker 2: LeBron had some shitty-ass finals. LeBron.
[42:30] Speaker 3: The problem with LeBron is he often took his teams
[42:35] Speaker 3: further than they should have went and then got smacked around.
[42:38] Speaker 3: Because when he went against the Spurs, that team wasn't
[42:42] Speaker 3: no finals team. But them Dallas Mavericks, as a LeBron lover...
[42:49] Speaker 3: You stunk that up.
[42:50] Speaker 2: They pulled the mop bucket out. They was like, get
[42:52] Speaker 2: the mop bucket.
[42:53] Speaker 1: You stunk that.
[42:55] Speaker 2: We're going to mop them and sweep them. They did
[42:57] Speaker 2: the sweep and mop.
[42:58] Speaker 3: That was a great team, too. But then again, Dirk
[43:02] Speaker 3: went through. Tim, Kobe, LeBron.
[43:06] Speaker 2: I said that on one of your polls.
[43:08] Speaker 4: I feel like the Dallas Mavericks that year had the
[43:12] Speaker 4: most impressive road.
[43:14] Speaker 1: To the final victory. They went through everybody. They went
[43:16] Speaker 1: through everybody.
[43:18] Speaker 2: Hell.
[43:18] Speaker 3: No, and Kobe was on the Lakers. Tim was on
[43:22] Speaker 3: the Spurs.
[43:23] Speaker 1: LeBron and Dwyane Wade. First year heat.
[43:27] Speaker 2: They went through. That was a Lord of the Rings.
[43:29] Speaker 1: 2011 Mavericks.
[43:30] Speaker 2: That was the Revenant. For sure.
[43:32] Speaker 4: Dallas Mavericks went through what Leo went through in the Revenant.
[43:35] Speaker 4: And Dirk was cooking.
[43:37] Speaker 1: Yeah. But you got like J.J.
[43:39] Speaker 2: Barrera. That was the most impressive. Man, watch out. No
[43:43] Speaker 2: big three. Yeah, no.
[43:45] Speaker 1: Dirk and the gang. No big three.
[43:49] Speaker 2: That was super impressive.
[43:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't know how we got off on that.
[43:53] Speaker 1: We was way off on the movies.
[43:55] Speaker 4: It started with The Revenant and then 2015. Oh, it
[43:58] Speaker 4: was about who Leo lost to.
[44:01] Speaker 1: That's what it was.
[44:02] Speaker 4: If you look at every Oscars loss that Leo took,
[44:05] Speaker 4: it was a valid loss.
[44:06] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how Will was.
[44:08] Speaker 3: Will was just in there that year and it was
[44:10] Speaker 3: just like, man, but it was like Spike Lee.
[44:13] Speaker 1: It was just always something.
[44:16] Speaker 3: And that's why when he won for King Richard, I
[44:18] Speaker 3: was like, if he doesn't win this one, there's no
[44:21] Speaker 3: guarantee that he's even going to get nominated again prior
[44:24] Speaker 3: to the slap.
[44:25] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[44:25] Speaker 3: And if he is, it ain't going to be some
[44:27] Speaker 3: other thing. Because he did not hate that he slapped.
[44:31] Speaker 3: And Chris Rock, lately, everything Chris Rock has said in interviews,
[44:37] Speaker 3: people are like.
[44:37] Speaker 2: People don't like Chris Rock, though.
[44:42] Speaker 1: The show was called Everybody Hates Chris, Tony.
[44:46] Speaker 2: And now it's coming to fruition.
[44:48] Speaker 3: Tone, I don't, I'm telling you, man, Chris Rock is
[44:56] Speaker 3: destroying him's own image.
[44:59] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[45:00] Speaker 3: When you get slapped, you supposed to be, but he
[45:04] Speaker 3: was letting.
[45:06] Speaker 1: Louis C.K. say, nigga, that's in.
[45:08] Speaker 2: That was, man, that video right there.
[45:11] Speaker 1: That is, and Jerry Seinfeld was like.
[45:13] Speaker 2: Jerry Seinfeld was like, no, it's not funny.
[45:16] Speaker 4: It's not.
[45:16] Speaker 2: I love the way Jerry handled that situation. Bruh.
[45:19] Speaker 4: Because you love a Hey Jerry Seinfeld, and I don't
[45:22] Speaker 4: agree with his Israel stance whatsoever.
[45:24] Speaker 5: Nah.
[45:25] Speaker 3: But at least you know where that dude stands. That
[45:28] Speaker 3: man was sitting there, and they're all laughing. He was like,
[45:31] Speaker 3: I don't see the humor in that. And a lot
[45:33] Speaker 3: of times, comics.
[45:34] Speaker 1: Will go along. Not you, though.
[45:35] Speaker 3: Let me tell you who ain't going to go along.
[45:37] Speaker 3: Tony Baker, boy. The whole group could be like, ha ha.
[45:40] Speaker 1: Nah, y'all.
[45:40] Speaker 2: I would have definitely been Jerry in that moment. But
[45:43] Speaker 2: it was that.
[45:44] Speaker 1: It was the Good Hair movie. Yeah. Ghetto Famous.
[45:49] Speaker 2: The Ghetto Famous.
[45:50] Speaker 1: The Ghetto Famous. It's the Tony Robbins stuff.
[45:51] Speaker 2: He didn't help his friend's brother out in the legal situation.
[45:55] Speaker 3: Yo.
[45:56] Speaker 1: Why are you saying this stuff?
[45:58] Speaker 2: He should have kept that on the tongue.
[46:00] Speaker 1: Tongue.
[46:01] Speaker 4: Because a lot of people will be sympathetic to you. Like,
[46:04] Speaker 4: you can't help everybody. And you can't be paying for
[46:07] Speaker 4: everybody's lawyers. You just can't be doing that. But you
[46:09] Speaker 4: didn't have to share that story at all. You didn't
[46:11] Speaker 4: have to share it.
[46:12] Speaker 3: The guy, so I told Angel, we talked about this
[46:14] Speaker 3: on the podcast. It wasn't like the guy said, so
[46:15] Speaker 3: I know your friend had the friend of the lawyer.
[46:18] Speaker 3: He just said, hey, man, what time is it? You know, man,
[46:20] Speaker 3: I just, I got this friend that just, I wasn't
[46:24] Speaker 3: paying for the lawyers, you know.
[46:25] Speaker 1: And I get that.
[46:26] Speaker 4: It turns out he was innocent, man. I didn't pay
[46:28] Speaker 4: for that lawyer. And you know, I didn't pay for
[46:32] Speaker 4: the lawyer.
[46:33] Speaker 2: Right there.
[46:35] Speaker 4: And you see people in the comments saying, I'm glad
[46:37] Speaker 4: Will slapped me.
[46:38] Speaker 2: And I'm just like, damn, dog.
[46:41] Speaker 1: You not getting the.
[46:42] Speaker 3: Taylor Swift used that Kanye moment and she rode that to.
[46:46] Speaker 1: To the heavens. To the heavens. He has a worse moment. Yes.
[46:51] Speaker 1: And he... People are basically being like, Kanye, say it again. Yeah. Like...
[46:59] Speaker 1: He's hard to defend, man.
[47:00] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[47:01] Speaker 1: He's hard to defend.
[47:02] Speaker 2: And once people turn on you.
[47:04] Speaker 1: And black people.
[47:06] Speaker 2: This....
[47:09] Speaker 1: It feel like he'd be disconnected from the blackness.
[47:13] Speaker 3: I don't know if it's a rich thing or just
[47:15] Speaker 3: who he is, but he don't be connected to the black.
[47:20] Speaker 1: You know, he'd be like, you know.
[47:23] Speaker 4: The crazy part about Chris Rock is that he hasn't
[47:26] Speaker 4: shied away from his blackness. That's why the stuff that
[47:30] Speaker 4: he produces, he got a TV show with a black family.
[47:34] Speaker 4: He had a great HBO show, The Chris Rock Show,
[47:37] Speaker 4: that had the jokes about the culture and racism and
[47:39] Speaker 4: all that stuff. The Good Hair documentary. Even the stuff
[47:44] Speaker 4: that he's been promoting lately.
[47:46] Speaker 2: That's why he's been going.
[47:47] Speaker 4: On the interview about the joint that he executive produced
[47:50] Speaker 4: about that woman actress. It's like he's putting blackness out
[47:57] Speaker 4: here at the forefront. He's not just doing white stuff.
[48:01] Speaker 4: He's not just all token blackness. When it's him at
[48:03] Speaker 4: the helm, he be putting black people in.
[48:06] Speaker 3: And he was speaking truth to power as a black
[48:08] Speaker 3: man in the late 90s in a way very few
[48:11] Speaker 3: people of power did.
[48:13] Speaker 1: And he was funny. Yeah. Bigger and blacker.
[48:17] Speaker 2: Bigger and blacker. And what's the other one? Bring the pain.
[48:20] Speaker 2: Bring the pain and bigger and blacker. CB4 was funny.
[48:23] Speaker 1: Love CB4. I don't know. Louis C.K. wrote on that.
[48:25] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[48:25] Speaker 4: And.
[48:27] Speaker 1: Satade.
[48:28] Speaker 2: Poodie Tang.
[48:28] Speaker 1: Poodie Tang.
[48:29] Speaker 2: Wadda Ta.
[48:30] Speaker 1: Wadda Ta. Louis C.K. was in on that.
[48:33] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[48:33] Speaker 2: And Everybody Hates Chris is a great TV show.
[48:36] Speaker 3: But see, a lot of times people be like, yo,
[48:38] Speaker 3: the way he wrote the mom character is like, man.
[48:41] Speaker 1: It's like he hates his mom. But if that's your,
[48:45] Speaker 1: people's moms.
[48:46] Speaker 4: Sometimes people's moms be fucking them up. You don't get
[48:51] Speaker 4: no pass just because you black. If your mom fucked
[48:54] Speaker 4: you up and she a black mom, well, guess what?
[48:58] Speaker 2: She gonna be fucked up in the show.
[49:00] Speaker 1: Because the mom in Precious was a black mom and
[49:02] Speaker 1: she was awful.
[49:03] Speaker 2: But she was so funny, though. Wait, the mom in Precious? No,
[49:08] Speaker 2: the mom in... Oh, Rochelle! Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, yeah, man, so...
[49:15] Speaker 2: So that's the tricky part about Chris Rock. It is.
[49:19] Speaker 4: Not that he's a complete sellout or that you know
[49:22] Speaker 4: he's only doing white stuff that's not that's not the
[49:25] Speaker 4: reality no so it's just an interesting dynamic.
[49:28] Speaker 3: It's just like nana said his but the blackness is
[49:30] Speaker 3: adjacent to him it's not him.
[49:34] Speaker 2: But he is black, though.
[49:36] Speaker 3: I agree with you, but I think sometimes it feels
[49:40] Speaker 3: like it do feel adjacent.
[49:44] Speaker 2: Sometimes. But some black people are adjacent.
[49:47] Speaker 1: Fair. It's true.
[49:50] Speaker 2: Some black people are just adjacent.
[49:52] Speaker 1: Yes.
[49:54] Speaker 4: They still out here being black. They still out here
[49:57] Speaker 4: with black wives, black family.
[49:59] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[49:59] Speaker 2: They just are adjacent to.
[50:02] Speaker 1: Absolutely. You know what I mean?
[50:03] Speaker 4: Absolutely.
[50:03] Speaker 1: Absolutely. All right, man, watch out.
[50:05] Speaker 3: I don't know what we're talking about anymore.
[50:08] Speaker 1: Underrated movie? What'd you say?
[50:10] Speaker 2: So we say overrated.
[50:12] Speaker 1: Overrated.
[50:13] Speaker 2: Shutter Island. Shutter Island for me.
[50:15] Speaker 1: Shutter Island.
[50:16] Speaker 2: Underrated. Oh, so now we underrated?
[50:18] Speaker 1: Underrated now.
[50:19] Speaker 4: So I'm going to go with an underrated Leonardo DiCaprio
[50:26] Speaker 4: movie for me.
[50:29] Speaker 2: Is Blood Diamonds.
[50:32] Speaker 1: Oh, that is a good one.
[50:33] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going to have to go Blood. I feel
[50:34] Speaker 2: like Blood has to get the props it deserves.
[50:39] Speaker 3: Man, that's good. That's a good one. Man, I'm trying
[50:48] Speaker 3: to see if I feel like... I didn't like The
[50:50] Speaker 3: Great Gatsby as a movie. I thought his performance was brilliant.
[50:54] Speaker 2: It was good. It was better than I expected it.
[50:57] Speaker 2: I wasn't feeling that movie.
[50:58] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[50:59] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
[50:59] Speaker 1: It was big and it was, there was a lot
[51:01] Speaker 1: of spectacle, but I was like.
[51:02] Speaker 2: It was a lot of spectacle. But Baz Luhrmann is
[51:04] Speaker 2: that type of director.
[51:05] Speaker 1: Man, Baz. He busy.
[51:07] Speaker 4: He gonna give you mad visuals and all kinds, lions, stilts,
[51:13] Speaker 4: somebody walking through the scene, stilts, fireworks, crazy.
[51:19] Speaker 2: But yeah. I like.
[51:23] Speaker 3: I'll make sure I'm right. I can't slide nothing past you.
[51:28] Speaker 3: I'm going to go with The Aviator.
[51:30] Speaker 1: Okay. I like that movie.
[51:32] Speaker 2: That was a good movie.
[51:33] Speaker 1: Howard Hughes. I just feel like in the grand scheme of... Also,
[51:37] Speaker 1: I didn't know much.
[51:37] Speaker 3: About Howard Hughes at all. So I kind of like
[51:41] Speaker 3: give movies a little more if I'd be like, oh, dang,
[51:43] Speaker 3: I didn't know all that stuff.
[51:44] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[51:45] Speaker 3: And I just feel like The Aviator not really talked
[51:47] Speaker 3: about much when we talk about Leo and his greatness.
[51:51] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[51:51] Speaker 3: Martin Scorsese, non-gang film movie. Yeah.
[51:57] Speaker 1: But I think that was a brilliant performance.
[51:59] Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a good performance. That was a good movie.
[52:02] Speaker 4: Cate Blanchett was fantastic.
[52:03] Speaker 1: Cate Blanchett, man.
[52:05] Speaker 2: She be.
[52:06] Speaker 1: She be turning in some performances.
[52:08] Speaker 2: She one of the best actors ever.
[52:10] Speaker 1: I feel like... I agree. I feel like she just
[52:13] Speaker 1: don't be movie, movie, movie, movie, movie, movie, movie.
[52:18] Speaker 2: Nah.
[52:18] Speaker 1: But when she shows up, she's never been in something.
[52:20] Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, Cate didn't bring it.
[52:21] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[52:22] Speaker 1: And she be.
[52:24] Speaker 1: When she was in Thor, I was like, yo, Kate,
[52:28] Speaker 1: what the hell? You're mean.
[52:29] Speaker 2: Hello, man.
[52:30] Speaker 3: She was killing in that.
[52:33] Speaker 2: She was.
[52:33] Speaker 1: I remember being like, dang, Kate, when that helmet came on, I.
[52:36] Speaker 2: Was like, okay. She's one of my favorite actors.
[52:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. She's not in Ocean's 8, is she? Yeah.
[52:45] Speaker 1: She is.
[52:46] Speaker 2: That's your movie, man. That is your movie.
[52:49] Speaker 1: She in that.
[52:52] Speaker 2: She had them.
[52:53] Speaker 1: Clothes on in Ocean Days. She had them clothes on.
[52:55] Speaker 2: All right.
[52:56] Speaker 1: Okay, so now we need....
[52:59] Speaker 2: He should have won an Oscar for this. Man, the
[53:04] Speaker 2: list goes on. Man.
[53:07] Speaker 1: What was he nominated for?
[53:09] Speaker 2: I'm going to go with Gilbert Grape.
[53:14] Speaker 1: I'm going to go with The Aviator.
[53:17] Speaker 2: Nah. He lost to somebody that.
[53:22] Speaker 1: Who did he?
[53:23] Speaker 2: That just brought the heat that year.
[53:25] Speaker 1: What's best supporting 94?
[53:27] Speaker 2: When the Aviator come out. He lost against Jamie and Ray.
[53:33] Speaker 1: I'm not saying he should have beat Jamie. I'm just
[53:34] Speaker 1: saying he should have won for his role.
[53:36] Speaker 2: That's the only way he going to get it.
[53:38] Speaker 1: No, he could have released it the next year or
[53:39] Speaker 1: the year prior.
[53:40] Speaker 2: Hold it. He came out that year.
[53:42] Speaker 1: If you hold it, you know Ray coming out, man.
[53:45] Speaker 1: Hold that till next year.
[53:46] Speaker 2: Went up against Ray, man.
[53:48] Speaker 1: He lost to Ray?
[53:49] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[53:54] Speaker 1: And that's biopic for biopic.
[53:56] Speaker 2: He lost to Ray, dog.
[53:58] Speaker 1: Nobody going to beat Jamie.
[53:59] Speaker 2: I'm walking away in silence on that. I'm like, yep.
[54:02] Speaker 2: Goddamn right he lost to Ray.
[54:03] Speaker 4: And that's what I mean, man. Leo was losing to
[54:06] Speaker 4: some hitters, man.
[54:07] Speaker 2: Hold on.
[54:08] Speaker 3: Okay, so let's go with 94.
[54:12] Speaker 1: Hold on.
[54:13] Speaker 3: Who would lose to a 94? Best Supporting Actor. He
[54:17] Speaker 3: went against....
[54:19] Speaker 1: God dang it. Tommy Lee Jones and the Fugitive.
[54:22] Speaker 2: He could have won that.
[54:23] Speaker 1: That's supporting? Oh, Harrison Ford had to be lead. I
[54:28] Speaker 1: feel like that's a dual lead.
[54:31] Speaker 2: Leo could have won that one.
[54:32] Speaker 1: Oh, now?
[54:33] Speaker 2: Now?
[54:34] Speaker 1: Ralph Fiennes and Schindler's List? That's right. And John Malkovich,
[54:39] Speaker 1: Line of Fire.
[54:40] Speaker 2: Yeah, he was good.
[54:41] Speaker 1: Peter Postlewit.
[54:42] Speaker 2: Hold on. They shouldn't have been together. Wait, Line of
[54:45] Speaker 2: Fire was 93.
[54:45] Speaker 4: Okay.
[54:46] Speaker 1: Peter Postlewit. I don't remember the movie in the name
[54:49] Speaker 1: of the father.
[54:49] Speaker 2: I never saw that movie. Okay. But I did see
[54:52] Speaker 2: Schindler's List.
[54:53] Speaker 1: I saw Schindler's List.
[54:54] Speaker 2: I did see.
[54:55] Speaker 1: In the line of fire. John Malkovich, that's an acting somebody.
[54:59] Speaker 4: He's a favorite to win an Oscar for the next
[55:01] Speaker 4: Oscars coming up. He got a movie coming out that's making.
[55:04] Speaker 1: A lot of noise.
[55:06] Speaker 2: I forget the name of it.
[55:06] Speaker 1: Tommy Lee Jones. That's tough.
[55:08] Speaker 2: Tommy Lee Jones winning, though. I feel like that could
[55:11] Speaker 2: have either been Wraiths, Leos, or.
[55:13] Speaker 1: I feel like Ross should have won.
[55:15] Speaker 2: Don't get me wrong.
[55:16] Speaker 1: Tommy Lee Jones was great.
[55:18] Speaker 2: He was great, but not Oscar worthy. No. Not for
[55:20] Speaker 2: the fugitive.
[55:22] Speaker 4: Leo was fantastic and was great.
[55:25] Speaker 2: All right.
[55:26] Speaker 1: Let's look at 2007 Blood Diamond of the Year. So, oh, wait.
[55:32] Speaker 1: What is it? He was leading role?
[55:33] Speaker 2: In Blood Diamond?
[55:36] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[55:36] Speaker 2: Was he nominated for that? Yeah. Okay.
[55:38] Speaker 1: Let me see who he lost to. Let me see
[55:41] Speaker 1: if they could have beat anybody.
[55:42] Speaker 4: Is that Forrest Whitaker? You had no chance. Forrest Whitaker
[55:48] Speaker 4: in The Last King of Scotland was going.
[55:50] Speaker 2: To get that.
[55:52] Speaker 1: So it was Forrest Whitaker, The Last King of Scotland, Leonardo,
[55:55] Speaker 1: Ryan Gosling.
[55:57] Speaker 2: Will Smith was in there that year, too. For the
[55:59] Speaker 2: pursuit of happiness.
[56:03] Speaker 1: And nobody was beating. Idiot, I mean. But you did
[56:06] Speaker 1: not persuade me, Nicolaus. Yeah, I don't know what to
[56:10] Speaker 1: tell you, Leo.
[56:11] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, man.
[56:13] Speaker 1: Okay, 2014. Oh, 2014.
[56:14] Speaker 3: 2014. Okay, 2014, Wolf of Wall Street, best actor.
[56:23] Speaker 1: Let me see.
[56:23] Speaker 3: He had to have been able to beat somebody in that. God,
[56:28] Speaker 3: Dallas Buyers Club.
[56:29] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, man.
[56:31] Speaker 1: There's no chance. Christian Bale in American Hustle was really good.
[56:35] Speaker 2: He was a good man.
[56:36] Speaker 1: And Chiwetel, 12 Years a Slave.
[56:39] Speaker 2: He was fantastic in that.
[56:40] Speaker 3: I don't remember Bruce Dern in Nebraska. Yeah, he didn't
[56:43] Speaker 3: stand a chance. Dallas Buyers Club was the most Oscar movie, Oscar.
[56:47] Speaker 3: Matthew McConaughey was delivered, though.
[56:51] Speaker 1: They had that Oscar pre-made.
[56:53] Speaker 2: I thought he really died.
[56:56] Speaker 1: Didn't Jared Leto win for that, too?
[56:57] Speaker 2: Yes. Deserved.
[56:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, he, man.
[57:01] Speaker 2: Dallas Buyers Club, man. Tough. He killed it. Tough. That's
[57:05] Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
[57:06] Speaker 4: Leo was just going against undeniables, man.
[57:10] Speaker 1: Nah, you right. All right, let's see. He won in
[57:12] Speaker 1: the Revenant. Let's see who he beat.
[57:15] Speaker 2: We just checked that.
[57:16] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, we did.
[57:16] Speaker 2: Matt Damon and them.
[57:17] Speaker 1: Okay. And one battle after another, I don't. Nah, he
[57:23] Speaker 1: lost to Michael B.
[57:24] Speaker 2: Was he nominated?
[57:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, he was nominated.
[57:25] Speaker 2: Okay, all right.
[57:26] Speaker 1: He was good in that, though. It didn't even seem
[57:28] Speaker 1: like he won it. He thought he was going to
[57:29] Speaker 1: win in that one.
[57:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, he was chilling.
[57:30] Speaker 1: You got it.
[57:31] Speaker 2: He was chilling.
[57:31] Speaker 1: Michael B. did his thing.
[57:33] Speaker 2: Michael B., man, I'm so glad he won that Oscar.
[57:36] Speaker 1: As a black person, man, it'd just be like, God, dog.
[57:40] Speaker 3: I still believe Lupita Nyong'o should have won for us. Yeah.
[57:45] Speaker 2: At least be nominated, at the very least. At the
[57:49] Speaker 2: very least be nominated.
[57:50] Speaker 1: What year was that, Tone?
[57:51] Speaker 3: Us?
[57:54] Speaker 2: Let's see.
[57:56] Speaker 1: Would that have been Best Actress or Supported?
[58:00] Speaker 2: 2019. She would have been an actress.
[58:06] Speaker 1: All right. 2019. Olivia Colman for The Favorite. I don't
[58:11] Speaker 1: remember that. Yalitza Aparicio for Roma. No idea. Glenn Close
[58:17] Speaker 1: for The Wife.
[58:19] Speaker 2: Nothing.
[58:19] Speaker 1: Glenn Close for The Wife. Lady Gaga Stars Born was great.
[58:23] Speaker 2: She was good in that.
[58:25] Speaker 1: And Melissa McCarthy for Can You Ever Forgive Me.
[58:27] Speaker 2: She could have got nominated, man.
[58:30] Speaker 1: Man, get everybody else out. Yalitza, Glenn. Lady Gaga, that
[58:36] Speaker 1: was a great performance.
[58:37] Speaker 4: Lady Gaga, man, and Star is Born is one of
[58:39] Speaker 4: my favorite relationship movies.
[58:43] Speaker 1: Man, when he peed, I felt, I felt, Awful, man.
[58:48] Speaker 2: I was rooting for him. That's how you know I
[58:51] Speaker 2: was connected, man. I was really rooting for them, man.
[58:53] Speaker 1: Me too.
[58:55] Speaker 2: And so when he took his own life, that shit hurt.
[58:57] Speaker 1: Oh, I was like, dang.
[59:00] Speaker 2: I felt it. I was like, man. The Star is
[59:02] Speaker 2: Born was really good. That was a sad movie, man.
[59:07] Speaker 2: Ain't no... I've only seen it one time.
[59:08] Speaker 1: Oh, I'm out.
[59:10] Speaker 2: Been able to go back.
[59:10] Speaker 1: Oh, I'm not queuing it up. That movie was sad.
[59:14] Speaker 1: I said, nah.
[59:16] Speaker 2: But, man, that was a good movie.
[59:17] Speaker 1: Yeah. All right. Paycheck movie, the one that got him paid.
[59:22] Speaker 1: It got to be Titanic. Titanic.
[59:24] Speaker 3: Titanic for sure. After Titanic, man, Scott was the best.
[59:28] Speaker 3: And he's been making bread ever since.
[59:30] Speaker 2: Ever since.
[59:31] Speaker 1: Best director, I know what you're going to say. You're
[59:33] Speaker 1: already right.
[59:37] Speaker 2: Martin Scorsese. Yeah, for sure.
[59:40] Speaker 1: They done hella movies together. For sure, dog. That's your boy.
[59:44] Speaker 3: Yeah. He could have been Odysseus, and I'd have been like, yep.
[59:48] Speaker 3: Although Matt Damon killed in that. He probably got that
[59:50] Speaker 3: Oscar sewn up. Yeah.
[59:52] Speaker 1: I think. Hall of Fame performance.
[1:00:02] Speaker 2: Hall of Fame.
[1:00:03] Speaker 1: Man, I'm tripping.
[1:00:04] Speaker 2: Let me think. Hall of Fame is tough.
[1:00:10] Speaker 3: What do we even mean by this? We should take
[1:00:12] Speaker 3: this one out. We never know what to say for this.
[1:00:15] Speaker 1: We really don't. Man, Hall of Fame is dumb. I'm
[1:00:17] Speaker 1: deleting it.
[1:00:17] Speaker 2: We're taking it down, man. Get it down, man.
[1:00:21] Speaker 1: You probably know what I'm talking about. All right.
[1:00:24] Speaker 3: Top 10 Leonardo DiCaprio movies, Tone.
[1:00:28] Speaker 2: Oh, shit.
[1:00:29] Speaker 1: Top 10.
[1:00:30] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[1:00:31] Speaker 2: You feel me?
[1:00:36] Speaker 1: You feel me? All right. Go ahead and kick us off, Tone.
[1:00:39] Speaker 2: The Departed. I'm coming in with it, man. I love
[1:00:44] Speaker 2: The Departed.
[1:00:45] Speaker 1: That's the quintessential Leo.
[1:00:47] Speaker 2: That's Leo. The ensemble, for one, is crazy.
[1:00:50] Speaker 1: For sure.
[1:00:51] Speaker 3: But you just... That movie just never stopped. It never
[1:00:54] Speaker 3: took his foot off the gas. Jack Nicholson said no accent.
[1:00:58] Speaker 2: No accent.
[1:00:58] Speaker 1: Maybe sometimes, but mostly no.
[1:01:00] Speaker 2: But you ever see Black Mass?
[1:01:03] Speaker 1: Johnny Depp?
[1:01:03] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:01:04] Speaker 1: No, I ain't seen it.
[1:01:04] Speaker 2: You gotta watch his performance in Black Mass.
[1:01:06] Speaker 1: Johnny Depp?
[1:01:07] Speaker 3: Yes.
[1:01:07] Speaker 1: Is it that good?
[1:01:08] Speaker 2: He plays Whitey Bulger.
[1:01:09] Speaker 1: I heard it was good.
[1:01:10] Speaker 2: Man, his performance.
[1:01:12] Speaker 1: Okay.
[1:01:13] Speaker 3: Okay.
[1:01:14] Speaker 2: Johnny Depp, dog.
[1:01:14] Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna go. Inception.
[1:01:18] Speaker 2: Okay.
[1:01:19] Speaker 1: Love Inception. Love Leo in Inception.
[1:01:21] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[1:01:22] Speaker 1: It's one of my top five movies of all time.
[1:01:24] Speaker 2: Inception's fantastic. It's perfect. He's perfect. You stole my pick.
[1:01:28] Speaker 2: It's great. It's great.
[1:01:31] Speaker 1: And I love it.
[1:01:32] Speaker 2: All right. All right.
[1:01:33] Speaker 1: Go ahead.
[1:01:33] Speaker 2: Catch me if you can, God damn it.
[1:01:35] Speaker 1: You dirty bastard. Hell yeah, dog. You dirty bastard.
[1:01:37] Speaker 2: You took mine, but take yours.
[1:01:38] Speaker 1: I'm going to Sweet Greens after this, and I'm going
[1:01:40] Speaker 1: to get the exact thing you get.
[1:01:41] Speaker 2: I'm going to Jersey Michaels. I'm going to Jersey Michael.
[1:01:47] Speaker 1: Man, catch me if you can.
[1:01:49] Speaker 2: Catch me if you can, though.
[1:01:50] Speaker 3: Wow.
[1:01:51] Speaker 2: Snatch.
[1:01:52] Speaker 3: All right.
[1:01:53] Speaker 1: I'm going to go Titanic. Ooh.
[1:01:56] Speaker 2: It is what it is.
[1:01:57] Speaker 3: Okay.
[1:01:58] Speaker 2: Finally.
[1:01:59] Speaker 3: I can't take that from the man. Just because it
[1:02:02] Speaker 3: was two tapes, man, I can't take it. It wasn't
[1:02:04] Speaker 3: that my uncopy made me change the tape. It's really,
[1:02:06] Speaker 3: I'm mad at uncopy. Respect on the name, man. There
[1:02:09] Speaker 3: was 10 people in there. Why you choose me to
[1:02:11] Speaker 3: change the tapes and then rewind it? That wasn't my
[1:02:13] Speaker 3: Blockbuster account. All right, Titanic, you're up, Tony.
[1:02:19] Speaker 2: Django Unchained. That's good. Coming in.
[1:02:22] Speaker 1: Okay.
[1:02:23] Speaker 2: Even though he knows a small player in it, still.
[1:02:26] Speaker 3: No, but that movie can't be made without him. Yeah,
[1:02:28] Speaker 3: Django Unchained. Okay, I'ma go. All right, now, okay, top 10.
[1:02:34] Speaker 3: Top 10, Kev.
[1:02:35] Speaker 1: Don't just throw no stuff in there. Wolf of Wall Street.
[1:02:37] Speaker 2: Hey, man, I'm not mad at it.
[1:02:39] Speaker 1: I'm not leaving.
[1:02:40] Speaker 2: I'm not fucking leaving.
[1:02:42] Speaker 1: That scene on the yacht with him and Kyle Chandler.
[1:02:46] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:02:48] Speaker 1: Oh, they're out-pricking each other?
[1:02:49] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:02:50] Speaker 1: Oh, that was just... That was great. Oh, that was
[1:02:52] Speaker 1: great acting. Kyle Chandler, man.
[1:02:55] Speaker 2: Yeah, man.
[1:02:56] Speaker 1: They got to bring him back for the lantern, man.
[1:02:57] Speaker 2: They do.
[1:02:58] Speaker 1: I like Aaron Pierre. That's Mufasa. But you got to
[1:03:00] Speaker 1: bring Kyle Chandler back, too.
[1:03:02] Speaker 2: All right, you're up.
[1:03:03] Speaker 1: I mean... This should be... We got the Departed.
[1:03:06] Speaker 2: Seven for you. Seven?
[1:03:08] Speaker 1: No, it should be eight.
[1:03:09] Speaker 4: Oh.
[1:03:10] Speaker 2: Wait, we got the Departed. We got... uh we do
[1:03:13] Speaker 2: this every.
[1:03:14] Speaker 3: Six that's six we done this is seven eight nine
[1:03:16] Speaker 3: ten i'm.
[1:03:17] Speaker 4: Coming in with the blood diamond oh my god yeah man.
[1:03:21] Speaker 2: Give me that blood diamond not without my son.
[1:03:28] Speaker 4: I'm going blood diamond you know a movie gets ignored
[1:03:32] Speaker 4: j edgar.
[1:03:33] Speaker 1: Man, watch out, man. I hate J.
[1:03:35] Speaker 4: Edgar.
[1:03:35] Speaker 2: That movie don't even get mentioned.
[1:03:37] Speaker 1: Nobody talks about it.
[1:03:38] Speaker 2: Nobody. It's like it never happened. I hate J.
[1:03:40] Speaker 1: Edgar Hoover. And that movie's just all right to me.
[1:03:43] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:03:43] Speaker 1: Watch out.
[1:03:44] Speaker 2: All right.
[1:03:45] Speaker 1: I'm going to go. You just took the one I
[1:03:53] Speaker 1: was going to take.
[1:03:53] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[1:03:54] Speaker 2: Feel it.
[1:03:58] Speaker 1: I'm going to go The Aviator.
[1:04:00] Speaker 2: Okay.
[1:04:01] Speaker 1: I like The Aviator. That's what I'm going to say.
[1:04:04] Speaker 1: All right. I'm going to go The Aviator. All right.
[1:04:08] Speaker 3: It's your last one, Tom.
[1:04:10] Speaker 2: My last pick will be One Battle After... Mother.
[1:04:17] Speaker 2: That was a good movie, man.
[1:04:18] Speaker 1: It was great.
[1:04:19] Speaker 4: I thought Senna should have won Best Picture, but One
[1:04:21] Speaker 4: Battle After Another is a good movie.
[1:04:24] Speaker 1: They love Paul Thomas Anderson.
[1:04:26] Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
[1:04:26] Speaker 1: All Thomas Anderson.
[1:04:27] Speaker 2: All right.
[1:04:29] Speaker 1: Then I'm going to go.
[1:04:32] Speaker 2: You going... The Revenant? Man, never.
[1:04:37] Speaker 1: Over my dead body. I'm going to go.
[1:04:43] Speaker 2: I know what it should be.
[1:04:44] Speaker 1: I'm going to go Revolutionary Road.
[1:04:46] Speaker 2: Oh, interesting.
[1:04:47] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:04:47] Speaker 3: Okay. I'm not picking The Revenant, and you can't whoop me.
[1:04:51] Speaker 3: And I'm definitely not picking Shutter Island. I don't care
[1:04:54] Speaker 3: what you say. And I didn't see Once Upon a
[1:04:56] Speaker 3: Time in Hollywood.
[1:04:57] Speaker 1: You think you never saw it? No, I never saw it.
[1:04:59] Speaker 1: I'm going to go What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
[1:05:01] Speaker 3: Okay.
[1:05:01] Speaker 1: I'm going to go with what's even Gilbert Grave.
[1:05:04] Speaker 3: You know, we don't, I don't, they don't let actors
[1:05:08] Speaker 3: play people with mental issues as.
[1:05:13] Speaker 1: Much as they used to.
[1:05:13] Speaker 2: No, I don't see it as much now.
[1:05:15] Speaker 1: Because, remember, it was a thing.
[1:05:17] Speaker 2: It was getting to it back in the 90s.
[1:05:19] Speaker 3: Rain Man, Gilbert Grave. When you see clips of radio now,
[1:05:23] Speaker 3: I'd be.
[1:05:24] Speaker 2: Like, oh, man. He was acting, though. He delivered.
[1:05:27] Speaker 1: But it'd just be like Cuba, man. It'd be hard
[1:05:32] Speaker 1: to watch. They put clips out of radio. I'd be like,
[1:05:36] Speaker 1: all right, y'all.
[1:05:37] Speaker 4: What are you supposed to do?
[1:05:39] Speaker 1: I don't know. How are you supposed to play it?
[1:05:41] Speaker 2: I don't know, man.
[1:05:42] Speaker 4: How are you supposed to play it?
[1:05:44] Speaker 1: I don't.
[1:05:45] Speaker 2: It hurts me.
[1:05:47] Speaker 3: Sling Blade is okay. Billy Bob, I don't mind that.
[1:05:51] Speaker 3: Billy Bob and Sling Blade, that was a different thing.
[1:05:54] Speaker 4: But radio, I'd be like, Some people with mental disabilities
[1:06:01] Speaker 4: are like radio.
[1:06:03] Speaker 2: I used to work with the mentally disabled.
[1:06:05] Speaker 1: So did I.
[1:06:06] Speaker 2: And so it's like you get characters.
[1:06:09] Speaker 1: You do.
[1:06:10] Speaker 4: In terms of just like, because, you know, we're super
[1:06:14] Speaker 4: sensitive about the mentally disabled.
[1:06:16] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:06:16] Speaker 4: It's like, you know, working with them, you just see
[1:06:19] Speaker 4: the different types of temperaments and personalities within the disability
[1:06:23] Speaker 4: that they have. Yeah.
[1:06:25] Speaker 2: Some of them are like radio.
[1:06:26] Speaker 1: When I watch.
[1:06:32] Speaker 1: There's a dating show about people on the... Love on
[1:06:35] Speaker 1: the Spectrum. Yeah. I'd be like, man, maybe they can act.
[1:06:38] Speaker 1: Some of them people look like they can act. Yeah.
[1:06:39] Speaker 1: Sometimes movies let.
[1:06:41] Speaker 3: People with mental disabilities just be in the movie.
[1:06:44] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:06:46] Speaker 1: But it's just radio, man. Because the dude who played Warren,
[1:06:49] Speaker 1: I don't know if he's... I don't know his... Warren?
[1:06:55] Speaker 2: Yeah. He's a regular guy.
[1:06:56] Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
[1:07:00] Speaker 3: What? What?
[1:07:03] Speaker 2: How you feel about Sean Penn and I am Sam?
[1:07:06] Speaker 3: Nah.
[1:07:06] Speaker 1: I don't like it now. I don't like it now.
[1:07:12] Speaker 4: I be.
[1:07:15] Speaker 3: Feeling weird about it now. It's like y'all was trying
[1:07:18] Speaker 3: to get the award.
[1:07:19] Speaker 2: What about Ernie Hudson and the Hand That Rocks the Cradle?
[1:07:22] Speaker 1: I don't even remember that.
[1:07:23] Speaker 2: Okay.
[1:07:24] Speaker 1: You don't be feeling weird?
[1:07:26] Speaker 4: I honestly be feeling, I immediately be like, if the
[1:07:33] Speaker 4: performance is good, I immediately be like.
[1:07:35] Speaker 2: My heart goes out. Immediately.
[1:07:39] Speaker 4: I'm like, man, I'm rooting for y'all, man. You know
[1:07:41] Speaker 4: what I'm saying?
[1:07:41] Speaker 1: My heart goes out, y'all.
[1:07:43] Speaker 2: Every, damn near every time.
[1:07:46] Speaker 1: Your heart goes out every time?
[1:07:48] Speaker 4: If the performance is good, So I'd just be feeling
[1:07:52] Speaker 4: for them. I'd just be rooting for them. You know
[1:07:54] Speaker 4: what I'm saying?
[1:07:56] Speaker 2: So, like, radio, man. I don't know I'm focused on
[1:07:59] Speaker 2: watching that movie. I know I did.
[1:08:02] Speaker 1: It's just the way Cuba was looking, man. Go look
[1:08:04] Speaker 1: at some clips of radio.
[1:08:05] Speaker 2: I saw a clip the other day.
[1:08:06] Speaker 1: What'd you feel? It was the one.
[1:08:08] Speaker 4: That was like a buildup of them bullying him and
[1:08:10] Speaker 4: then him becoming part of the team.
[1:08:12] Speaker 2: And I was just like... You know what?
[1:08:17] Speaker 1: Forrest Gump... Mentally disabled.
[1:08:19] Speaker 2: Absolutely. And people love that.
[1:08:21] Speaker 1: I let that one slide. Why you let that one slide?
[1:08:27] Speaker 3: I like Tom Hanks, I guess. Also, rest in peace
[1:08:33] Speaker 3: to RJ Mitt. He passed away by suicide today. He
[1:08:38] Speaker 3: had cerebral palsy. He acted with it. He was in
[1:08:41] Speaker 3: Breaking Bad.
[1:08:42] Speaker 1: Man, just to.
[1:08:44] Speaker 1: Harsh. Yeah.
[1:08:46] Speaker 3: You know, he had some interviews where he was saying like,
[1:08:49] Speaker 3: basically it ain't cracked up. It ain't what it's cracked
[1:08:51] Speaker 3: up to be. I think it's, I'm filthy rich. He
[1:08:54] Speaker 3: was also seemed to be really hard on himself as
[1:08:56] Speaker 3: an actor. So rest in peace to him. It's just like.
[1:09:01] Speaker 4: I saw a video about him and what his salary
[1:09:05] Speaker 4: was on Breaking Bad because they weren't breaking the bank.
[1:09:10] Speaker 4: No pun intended on breaking. But even Walter Whitener, they
[1:09:14] Speaker 4: weren't getting crazy money for the first few seasons.
[1:09:16] Speaker 2: Mm-mm.
[1:09:16] Speaker 4: And so, you know, they were saying, like, he was getting, like,
[1:09:19] Speaker 4: maybe 2,500 to 3,000 episodes.
[1:09:22] Speaker 2: That's nothing, man.
[1:09:24] Speaker 4: That's nothing, especially when you had to live off that.
[1:09:26] Speaker 4: And they said he wasn't getting casted for a lot
[1:09:29] Speaker 4: of roles because, one, they saw him as the guy
[1:09:32] Speaker 4: from Breaking Bad that, you know, that was on one
[1:09:36] Speaker 4: side of it.
[1:09:37] Speaker 2: And it was just like they just weren't willing to
[1:09:40] Speaker 2: take him on.
[1:09:41] Speaker 4: Because it was like he was in Breaking Bad, but
[1:09:43] Speaker 4: he wasn't a standout on Breaking Bad. Right.
[1:09:46] Speaker 2: So it was that type of gray area where it
[1:09:48] Speaker 2: was just like, eh, we don't, you know.
[1:09:50] Speaker 1: And a lot of people from Breaking Bad got work
[1:09:52] Speaker 1: after that.
[1:09:53] Speaker 4: Right.
[1:09:53] Speaker 1: Bryan Cranston. I haven't seen the lady who played Skylar much.
[1:09:57] Speaker 2: I haven't seen Skylar a lot.
[1:09:58] Speaker 1: But Dean worked. Aaron Paul's got a lot of work. Yeah.
[1:10:02] Speaker 3: The dude who played Tuco. Giancarlo Esposito. Yeah. Bob Odenkirk.
[1:10:09] Speaker 3: So Jesse Plemons.
[1:10:12] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[1:10:13] Speaker 3: So to be on a show that... It's one thing
[1:10:15] Speaker 3: if nobody got work or just the star. Yeah. But
[1:10:18] Speaker 3: it's like seven... That's actually a lot of people who've
[1:10:22] Speaker 3: gone on to work a lot.
[1:10:24] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[1:10:24] Speaker 2: And you was.
[1:10:26] Speaker 1: There on the call sheet for sure he was and
[1:10:28] Speaker 1: you didn't get to be.
[1:10:29] Speaker 4: And then they were saying too like you know he
[1:10:31] Speaker 4: didn't have uh you know you don't get the residuals
[1:10:35] Speaker 4: for all those people watching rigging bad on streaming he
[1:10:38] Speaker 4: didn't he wasn't included in the streaming residuals and um
[1:10:43] Speaker 4: he got ripped off by his management and he got
[1:10:46] Speaker 4: ripped off by his business manager which and it's like.
[1:10:51] Speaker 3: You don't have a chance to make that kind of
[1:10:54] Speaker 3: money again. You didn't make it in the first. Breaking
[1:10:57] Speaker 3: Bad was five seasons. So the first three, you didn't
[1:11:00] Speaker 3: really get paid. You got paid a little in four
[1:11:01] Speaker 3: and five.
[1:11:02] Speaker 2: Right.
[1:11:02] Speaker 3: He was saying he carried a huge team. That was expensive.
[1:11:05] Speaker 3: And then he ripped them off. And you ain't working
[1:11:07] Speaker 3: after that.
[1:11:08] Speaker 2: Come on, man.
[1:11:08] Speaker 1: You was living in Albuquerque.
[1:11:09] Speaker 3: So you got to put yourself up to live there
[1:11:11] Speaker 3: because they don't put, you know, they don't cover the
[1:11:14] Speaker 3: entire cost of that.
[1:11:15] Speaker 1: It's always more expensive. You don't get to live. You know,
[1:11:17] Speaker 1: I'm sorry. You don't get to work where you live.
[1:11:18] Speaker 2: Right.
[1:11:19] Speaker 1: So it's just like, I just felt bad for him, man.
[1:11:21] Speaker 5: Me too.
[1:11:22] Speaker 3: Martin Short had, apparently he lost his wife to cancer
[1:11:25] Speaker 3: and he lost his daughter to suicide. I saw this
[1:11:27] Speaker 3: clip of him and he talked about suicide in a
[1:11:29] Speaker 3: way I hadn't heard it before. He said, my wife
[1:11:32] Speaker 3: and my daughter died from terminal ill diseases.
[1:11:35] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:11:37] Speaker 3: And they both fought as long as they could. My
[1:11:40] Speaker 3: wife fought as long as she could against cancer, but
[1:11:42] Speaker 3: eventually she succumbed to cancer.
[1:11:44] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:11:44] Speaker 3: And my daughter fought as long as she could against
[1:11:46] Speaker 3: depression and suicidal ideations.
[1:11:49] Speaker 1: But eventually she came to it and I'm proud of
[1:11:51] Speaker 1: both of them for fighting.
[1:11:52] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:11:53] Speaker 3: And I was like, that is a way I've never
[1:11:55] Speaker 3: seen suicide framed like that.
[1:11:57] Speaker 2: Right.
[1:11:57] Speaker 3: You know, coming up, I'm not proud of this, but
[1:11:59] Speaker 3: I didn't create this thing. Suicide was always like, Oh,
[1:12:02] Speaker 3: that's especially for a man. That's a weak way of
[1:12:05] Speaker 3: going out. You know, we didn't, I don't feel like
[1:12:09] Speaker 3: as a culture, we didn't properly understand how heavy depression is,
[1:12:16] Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying? So it was like, it's
[1:12:19] Speaker 3: not as simple as you wanted the easy way out.
[1:12:21] Speaker 3: A lot of times you fighting hard. You just can't overcome.
[1:12:26] Speaker 3: Your own brain is working against you.
[1:12:28] Speaker 1: You know what I mean? That's tough. So it's a
[1:12:33] Speaker 1: beautiful way.
[1:12:34] Speaker 3: And I know Regina King, the way she talks about
[1:12:36] Speaker 3: her son, it's a very honoring way to remember somebody
[1:12:41] Speaker 3: who passed away due to suicide.
[1:12:42] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:12:43] Speaker 3: And I think that reframing in the last five to
[1:12:46] Speaker 3: eight years, maybe 10 years versus when I was coming up.
[1:12:49] Speaker 1: Yeah. The way they talk about suicide, we have changed tremendously.
[1:12:53] Speaker 2: Mental health wasn't even a discussion back then.
[1:12:54] Speaker 1: No.
[1:12:55] Speaker 2: Like mental health, man, watch out. Schizophrenia, you crazy, psychotic.
[1:12:59] Speaker 1: That was it. Literally it.
[1:13:01] Speaker 2: That was it.
[1:13:02] Speaker 3: We wasn't taking no time. There wasn't no differentiation. Schizophrenia
[1:13:05] Speaker 3: to dyslexia, man. You crazy.
[1:13:08] Speaker 2: You crazy. And that was it.
[1:13:09] Speaker 3: That was it. And there's much more layers. Plug that in.
[1:13:15] Speaker 3: Make sure I see you Thursday.
[1:13:16] Speaker 2: Bye, brother.
[1:13:17] Speaker 1: See y'all next week.
