[0:00] Speaker 1: What up you'alltch your boy Kemo Steak. Welcome to the
[0:03] Speaker 1: Ball Brothers Podcast. Here where me and my good friend
[0:05] Speaker 1: Wax poetic on everything, TV, movies, music, sports, cartoons, sandwiches,
[0:12] Speaker 1: whatever we feel like talking about. Whatever Marquita Bradley puts
[0:14] Speaker 1: on these cars. She's a black woman of the braids.
[0:18] Speaker 1: We need to do top braids.
[0:20] Speaker 2: Top top braid designs.
[0:22] Speaker 1: Alright, today we're doing top movies based on a city, Boston, Tony.
[0:29] Speaker 2: Give them the criteria for what a movie based on
[0:32] Speaker 2: a city is.
[0:33] Speaker 3: So the city has to be a part of the
[0:35] Speaker 3: fabric of the story, like it's ingrained within it.
[0:38] Speaker 1: You know.
[0:38] Speaker 3: How we watch movies and be like where did shoot this?
[0:41] Speaker 3: It could be non descript like House Party, for example,
[0:43] Speaker 3: you don't know what city that was in, But like
[0:45] Speaker 3: some movies, the city is undeniable. So we want to
[0:48] Speaker 3: focus on movies like that where it's just like, oh, yeah,
[0:51] Speaker 3: we know where they at, even if it's like a
[0:53] Speaker 3: university that they're on, like a major university, everybody knows,
[0:56] Speaker 3: like Harvard or something, and they all around there.
[0:59] Speaker 2: You know, all right, it's in Harvard. I don't be
[1:01] Speaker 2: knowing where Harvard is.
[1:02] Speaker 1: Though, hard in Boston, Harvard Hobby.
[1:06] Speaker 2: Y'ah, all right, I think I kep talk the last one,
[1:09] Speaker 2: so it's on you. I'm kicking it. I'm kicking it off.
[1:11] Speaker 3: I'm kicking it off with Mystic Ripper. I knew you
[1:14] Speaker 3: were gonna say that.
[1:17] Speaker 2: Now is that my I'm gonna tell you something.
[1:21] Speaker 3: Man, Sean motherfucking Pin.
[1:27] Speaker 2: He was acting his ass off in that movie. Man.
[1:29] Speaker 3: The whole cast was amazing, and that movie was amazing.
[1:34] Speaker 3: It was like a murder mystery who done it? And
[1:37] Speaker 3: the characters were gray as I like three dimensional. Ain't
[1:40] Speaker 3: nobody perfect? You know who's behind it? Everybody making moves
[1:44] Speaker 3: you didn't expect. But at the core of it is
[1:46] Speaker 3: about loss of father, losing the child, and it was
[1:49] Speaker 3: just now it resonates even more for me.
[1:51] Speaker 2: But like, have you went back to it? Hell?
[1:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, Sometimes I just watched scenes just because I watched
[1:57] Speaker 3: that scene when he's on the back porch with Tim
[1:59] Speaker 3: Robbins and he's talking about his daughter, And I'll watch
[2:02] Speaker 3: the scene when you know he discovered, when they discovered
[2:05] Speaker 3: the body and Kevin Bacon's standing there as Seanpinn is
[2:08] Speaker 3: held held back by eight million cops and like, I'll
[2:11] Speaker 3: be taking those in that's tough. Yeah, And so you
[2:15] Speaker 3: and I rewatched the whole thing like a couple of
[2:17] Speaker 3: times too, because it's just so so well done.
[2:21] Speaker 2: Clint Eastwood directed it, and.
[2:22] Speaker 3: I'm just amazed that they didn't do a lot of
[2:24] Speaker 3: takes because he don't do takes.
[2:25] Speaker 2: Clint Eastwood be like, we got it. You know, it's interesting,
[2:29] Speaker 2: confirmed it recently.
[2:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody does. Tyler Perry gets flat from that. Clint
[2:35] Speaker 1: Eastwood doesn't. Yeah, they Clint Eastwood be like, we got it.
[2:39] Speaker 1: One take, move on, andthy Hopkins is notorious for not
[2:42] Speaker 1: wanting to do a lot of takes, so you hire him.
[2:44] Speaker 1: He's like, I'm not finna, I'm not about to do
[2:46] Speaker 1: this day. Yeah, I practiced it, I did it.
[2:49] Speaker 2: I got it. You need to have them cameras and
[2:51] Speaker 2: focus the first time.
[2:52] Speaker 3: And Lord Lenny expounded on why he does it, like
[2:55] Speaker 3: what she said, she said, because he was doing all
[2:59] Speaker 3: those Westerns in his career, and a lot of times
[3:02] Speaker 3: they had to keep the sick quiet, not a lot
[3:04] Speaker 3: of gut actions, so he don't do that.
[3:07] Speaker 2: He'd be like, all right, everybody ready, you know what
[3:10] Speaker 2: I'm saying.
[3:11] Speaker 1: Go ahead, Oh, they had to keep it quiet, so
[3:13] Speaker 1: the horses have to spook the horses, and you got yeah, Clint.
[3:17] Speaker 3: East Will be back there like go ahead and then
[3:21] Speaker 3: take and he was like, I like it, you like it?
[3:23] Speaker 2: How's the focus? All right? Moving on? The horses are
[3:28] Speaker 2: a lot I did good horses ain't even in the movie.
[3:31] Speaker 1: I like it. Man.
[3:33] Speaker 3: Whatever they're doing down there, down there, they would say nay, Josh.
[3:44] Speaker 2: If they didn't like it, they would say nay.
[3:46] Speaker 3: But missic River is an amazing movie, and it's set
[3:49] Speaker 3: in Boston.
[3:50] Speaker 2: It's very much a part of it, and everybody had
[3:52] Speaker 2: the accents.
[3:52] Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna kick it off with good Will
[3:55] Speaker 1: Hunting another good choice. Good Will Hunting is so good.
[4:00] Speaker 1: One of my favorite scenes in that movie. I love
[4:03] Speaker 1: all the Robin Williams stuff and Matt Damon in the bar,
[4:07] Speaker 1: but low key. The scene that changed Matt Damon's character
[4:12] Speaker 1: is when Ben Affleck tells him every day I come
[4:15] Speaker 1: pick you up. I hope you don't answer the door,
[4:17] Speaker 1: because you're too good for this place.
[4:19] Speaker 2: He was taking pride and liked.
[4:21] Speaker 1: And he was like, man, get the hell out of here,
[4:24] Speaker 1: Man out of here. Man, we don't have we can't
[4:26] Speaker 1: do nothing. I'm being at home when I pick you up.
[4:29] Speaker 1: What the fuck are you doing?
[4:30] Speaker 2: Man? Were working at construction. You ain't supposed to be
[4:34] Speaker 2: over here with us.
[4:35] Speaker 1: Man, you better than that, and low key I think
[4:38] Speaker 1: less of you because you're with me.
[4:40] Speaker 2: That's all I That's all I can do. This is
[4:42] Speaker 2: it all I do? Hammer, hammer, nail, beard.
[4:45] Speaker 1: Patriot, that's my life. I accepted you. You're supposed to
[4:50] Speaker 1: be doing something.
[4:50] Speaker 3: That's that's how you know you had a good ass friend,
[4:53] Speaker 3: good friend, because them bullshit friends will be like, man,
[4:56] Speaker 3: oh you think you better Like Michael Jackson's friends in
[4:59] Speaker 3: The Bad Wisley snaps the college boy, huh think you
[5:05] Speaker 3: better than us?
[5:06] Speaker 4: Michael was like, get off of me. Ain't you ain't nothing?
[5:15] Speaker 4: You ain't nothing?
[5:16] Speaker 2: So yeah, good will hunting, great choice. You know how
[5:20] Speaker 2: easy this is for me?
[5:22] Speaker 1: He was pissed off at stelling Scar's cards. Yeah.
[5:26] Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know how to explain this to you.
[5:28] Speaker 2: This is easy for me.
[5:30] Speaker 1: Just a genius with a janitorial job. Man that Jana high.
[5:35] Speaker 3: And there's so many like good conversations had in that movie,
[5:38] Speaker 3: like the the the argument Robin Williams had with stealing. Yeah,
[5:42] Speaker 3: you know, these conversations were just that movie.
[5:45] Speaker 2: Was just just a good movie. Af Like Mat David
[5:47] Speaker 2: wrote that.
[5:48] Speaker 3: Yeah, at asking for It, I'm going gone, baby gone,
[5:53] Speaker 3: get out of my mind. I'm in there, get out
[5:55] Speaker 3: of my mind. Tak hering around man, gone to be
[6:00] Speaker 3: going another Ben.
[6:02] Speaker 2: What's the w actu's name? The main one?
[6:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's uh. I forget her name every time because
[6:08] Speaker 3: our confused it with who we brought up in Michelle Williams.
[6:11] Speaker 3: No that Michelle Williams. No, you confusedly with Michelle. I
[6:13] Speaker 3: confused Michelle Monaghan. Yes, is that her? No, it's not
[6:17] Speaker 3: Michelle Monahan. It is Michelle Minah.
[6:21] Speaker 1: That's who it is, Okay, right, yep, Angie General Jenner Gennaro.
[6:31] Speaker 3: So when we said Michelle Monahan yesterday, I was thinking
[6:34] Speaker 3: of the other girl that used to be with Tom Brady.
[6:38] Speaker 2: Chizelle Bunching.
[6:40] Speaker 3: No, not that one, the one that acts Tom Brady. Yeah,
[6:46] Speaker 3: Bridges min minor hand or something maybe perhaps anyway, going
[6:51] Speaker 3: baby going man sat in Boston. Casey Affleck is the
[6:56] Speaker 3: Ben's younger brother. Ben Affleck the direct orial debut. He
[7:00] Speaker 3: did a great job on the directing tip. That's what
[7:07] Speaker 3: I was thinking about.
[7:08] Speaker 4: Tom.
[7:08] Speaker 1: You said, Tom Cruiser, Tom Brady, Tom Brady. Yeah, Oh
[7:11] Speaker 1: I didn't know that. Okay, okay, And you got the
[7:16] Speaker 1: great cash.
[7:17] Speaker 3: You got Ed Harris, you got Morgan Freeman and the
[7:20] Speaker 3: side characters. The the environment is very key. They're trying
[7:24] Speaker 3: to solve who kidnapped this little girl what's her name
[7:29] Speaker 3: from the wire was fantastic.
[7:30] Speaker 2: Yeah, that she was. She was the security guard in
[7:33] Speaker 2: the wire. Her name is? Her name is Amy Ryan,
[7:38] Speaker 2: Amy ryans killer in that man. I just loved it.
[7:41] Speaker 2: And everybody's tough in Boston big.
[7:44] Speaker 1: They ain't playing around in Boston speaking of being tough,
[7:47] Speaker 1: and in Boston the depotted.
[7:49] Speaker 2: Yes, I love you know what.
[7:52] Speaker 1: As far as movies go, and twists and things that
[7:57] Speaker 1: I didn't see coming. Spoiler alert, Leonardo DiCaprio got shot
[8:04] Speaker 1: at the bottom of that elevator. I about jumped out
[8:07] Speaker 1: of my skin because that's not how movies go. He's
[8:11] Speaker 1: supposed to saw he's done, he won it. Disolved to
[8:15] Speaker 1: be that quick with it though. Yes, like was it
[8:18] Speaker 1: was a disposable death. Yeah, they were the.
[8:24] Speaker 2: Story. You're the only rat he had.
[8:27] Speaker 1: Matt Damon's character work in that elevator scene from where
[8:31] Speaker 1: he starts and he's confident, and by the time he
[8:34] Speaker 1: gets to the floor, he's like, just kill me, man, man,
[8:37] Speaker 1: because it's over it for him, man. And the best
[8:39] Speaker 1: part about it is he thought he got away.
[8:41] Speaker 2: He did. He was at home in his little condo.
[8:47] Speaker 1: Mike woburgod ultimates pride man, Mike Witberg had the shoe
[8:54] Speaker 1: covers and he killed him just like, al right, excuse me,
[9:01] Speaker 1: moving on, because you thought you got.
[9:03] Speaker 2: Away with it, thought you got away with it.
[9:05] Speaker 1: And Mark Mark Warburg hadn't been in the movie in
[9:07] Speaker 1: a minute, so I low key forgot about.
[9:12] Speaker 2: They threw off.
[9:14] Speaker 3: On the roof and shot Anthony Anderson tough. It was
[9:19] Speaker 3: chaos that the parted.
[9:21] Speaker 2: Jack Nicholson was like, man, I'm not gonna be doing
[9:23] Speaker 2: this accent. He was like, you get me? Has he
[9:28] Speaker 2: ever done an accent? He liked? Didn't.
[9:30] Speaker 1: Zel like, I'm in the movie. I don't care what
[9:33] Speaker 1: y'all doing. I'm in the movie. Y'all can be Romans.
[9:36] Speaker 1: I'm Denzel, y'all can be Boston.
[9:38] Speaker 3: I'm Jash And nobody gives Jack flag for that. They
[9:40] Speaker 3: always coming for Diesel, Ye always the same.
[9:45] Speaker 1: Shut up when Jack Nicholson said, sniffling, little rot, who
[9:51] Speaker 1: cares if he had a Boston accent, because at that
[9:55] Speaker 1: point I'm invested. There's plenty of Boston accents. Everybody in
[9:59] Speaker 1: Boston don't even have to have the accent. I know
[10:01] Speaker 1: his character was supposed to.
[10:02] Speaker 2: I wanted. Jack was just like, hey man, y'all, I'm
[10:04] Speaker 2: not doing it. When you hire Jack Nicholson, y'all gonna
[10:08] Speaker 2: y'all gonna ben to what he got.
[10:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's like Jack Nicholson, this is what we do.
[10:14] Speaker 3: But every movie star, I feel like this, if you're
[10:17] Speaker 3: gonna be a primetime movie star, you have to have
[10:20] Speaker 3: the same traits through various movies. Agree, you can't be
[10:25] Speaker 3: a chameleon. No, that's great, that's a great skill. But
[10:29] Speaker 3: the audience, the audience as a whole, is not attached
[10:32] Speaker 3: to I.
[10:32] Speaker 2: Don't know what he finna do. They want to come
[10:35] Speaker 2: in with some familiarity.
[10:36] Speaker 3: Clint Eastwood, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Denzel these are the
[10:40] Speaker 3: highest Tom Hanks, Willson Man, we know what we getting.
[10:45] Speaker 2: I'm signing up.
[10:47] Speaker 3: Lewis, that's amazing. Yeah, it's a gamble. I'm not pulling
[10:50] Speaker 3: up to the phantom threat. I'm sorry, I'm not pulling
[10:53] Speaker 3: up to the nines.
[10:55] Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, I can ask everybody, but it's like
[10:57] Speaker 2: we don't know what we're getting.
[10:59] Speaker 1: You think Michael be Jordan's on that trajectory. He might
[11:04] Speaker 1: be the last movie star because we need that familiar
[11:08] Speaker 1: stamp to carry us for sure.
[11:10] Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
[11:11] Speaker 1: When I know Will is in there, I know, big
[11:14] Speaker 1: Bravado run. He's gonna be running, He's gonna be willing.
[11:20] Speaker 1: I'm fine with that. I signed up for that. Jeffrey Wright,
[11:23] Speaker 1: whom I love. He's a community he's a comedian. It's
[11:26] Speaker 1: tough for the open movies set up Sterling K.
[11:29] Speaker 2: Brown.
[11:30] Speaker 1: You get and he actually does great character work. But
[11:33] Speaker 1: you I pull up for Sterling k. You know, you
[11:36] Speaker 1: know he gonna come in Alves good run he might
[11:40] Speaker 1: Starnie K. Brown might have the best run in movie.
[11:43] Speaker 1: He's running Paradise. I said, that's a good run. That's
[11:47] Speaker 1: a good run.
[11:47] Speaker 2: Man. Tom Cruise runs like T one thousand.
[11:52] Speaker 3: I'm running. Tom Cruise gonna runs like this. Ain't even
[11:55] Speaker 3: about that. Let me run.
[11:57] Speaker 2: Jerry McGuire, like, why are you running? Jerry mc football? Movie?
[12:01] Speaker 2: You're gonna run it.
[12:02] Speaker 1: He's gonna slide over the hood of a car. Oh yeah,
[12:04] Speaker 1: he got a good hood slide, running a lot too, pigeonto.
[12:13] Speaker 2: Slow too.
[12:15] Speaker 1: He got like a John Wick, always run like he
[12:17] Speaker 1: just got shot or kicked in the knee or something
[12:19] Speaker 1: like John Wig. Though maybe we filled out them steps
[12:23] Speaker 1: for an hour, said man, you dad, john Wick. He
[12:27] Speaker 1: stepped down. It was almost cartoon man. It's the man
[12:31] Speaker 1: watch out. That was a great angle though, because otherwise
[12:34] Speaker 1: that movie can't get made. It was like, hey, y'all,
[12:37] Speaker 1: he can't get shot. Bulletproof suit. I would love a
[12:41] Speaker 1: suit like that for real.
[12:42] Speaker 2: You up? You up? Yeah?
[12:44] Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna go with Man. So many, so many
[12:47] Speaker 3: movies to choose from. I'm gonna go with the town Man.
[12:50] Speaker 1: That's three movies in a row. I'm still picking another one,
[12:53] Speaker 1: and that pick another one. I pulled the go to
[12:56] Speaker 1: you off your face? The Town was I love heist movie.
[13:01] Speaker 1: It's up there, it's underneath heat. It's just a good,
[13:04] Speaker 1: nice movie, said it all. He The Town is in
[13:07] Speaker 1: that conversation of just like brilliant dope heist movies.
[13:11] Speaker 3: It's gritty, it's the character. Jeremy Renner was killing it
[13:15] Speaker 3: in that God.
[13:16] Speaker 1: He took that little, this loud, little drink when he
[13:20] Speaker 1: knew he's gonna die.
[13:21] Speaker 2: He was behind that thing.
[13:22] Speaker 1: He was like thirsty when they got blasted.
[13:28] Speaker 2: He was such a criminal. Jeremy Renner was got to hurt.
[13:31] Speaker 2: Some people. Can't. You can't ask you a question. You
[13:35] Speaker 2: can never stay where you went away. You're dead, all right?
[13:38] Speaker 2: All right? You need a road dog like that.
[13:42] Speaker 3: Man. I feel like the Town of Movies that just
[13:45] Speaker 3: wasn't is Michelle Monahan in that she might.
[13:49] Speaker 1: Be was the girl they you know, Ben Long, He
[13:53] Speaker 1: loved to run the cast back.
[13:55] Speaker 3: I think that is her. Oh no, it's that girl
[14:00] Speaker 3: that's part black, Rebecca Hall.
[14:01] Speaker 2: She's part black. Yeah, she wrote, she.
[14:04] Speaker 3: Wrote a book, did the documentary called Passing, and now
[14:07] Speaker 3: her mom is passing.
[14:09] Speaker 2: That's that's passing. Her mom is passing. So she she
[14:13] Speaker 2: talked about that, but she she got black in her.
[14:15] Speaker 2: Oh you know what.
[14:16] Speaker 1: John Ham is the FBI agent and that he wasn't.
[14:19] Speaker 1: He was brilliant too.
[14:21] Speaker 2: He's the bad He was the roads, the Flores. He
[14:24] Speaker 2: was great in that. He's good.
[14:27] Speaker 1: All Right, I'm gonna go, and I don't care what
[14:29] Speaker 1: you think about it. Legally, blonde, legally blonde. She went
[14:35] Speaker 1: to lost with Harvard in Harvard. Okay, legally blonde is
[14:40] Speaker 1: a great log line for a movie. And uh, Reese
[14:44] Speaker 1: Witherspoon absolutely kills that a fun fact.
[14:48] Speaker 2: Her daughter looks more like her than she looks like herself.
[14:52] Speaker 3: That's crazye have you seen her daughter?
[14:56] Speaker 1: That's crazy. Look at Reese Witherspoon daughter. It's like, okay, God,
[14:59] Speaker 1: you got to do you gotta do something now.
[15:02] Speaker 3: And you know what, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippi or Felipe,
[15:07] Speaker 3: they kind of favor one another in terms of just
[15:11] Speaker 3: like a couple.
[15:11] Speaker 1: Yeah, you know you can see tell me that ain't
[15:17] Speaker 1: that's the same person who.
[15:21] Speaker 2: Could man watch out like twenty five years? Is this
[15:27] Speaker 2: a steel image? I think we get a steel image
[15:29] Speaker 2: on that picture. That's this picture.
[15:34] Speaker 1: Look at that, Ain't that just looks like that's copy
[15:38] Speaker 1: and paint. It looks like when they do the AI
[15:40] Speaker 1: version that like AIGs you down.
[15:43] Speaker 2: That's what she looks like.
[15:44] Speaker 1: She just looks like she took a picture next to
[15:45] Speaker 1: herself and she was twenty five.
[15:47] Speaker 2: I've never seen her daughter till this very moment.
[15:49] Speaker 1: No, she looks just like her. She yes, it's almost
[15:54] Speaker 1: freaking sexual reproduction exists. She had that baby by herself.
[15:59] Speaker 2: But yeah, I love that movie. It's a good little
[16:01] Speaker 2: fun movie. Uh. She was great in it.
[16:05] Speaker 1: It was like clueless if clueless girl got to go
[16:06] Speaker 1: to college and we're smart.
[16:08] Speaker 2: You never seen it.
[16:09] Speaker 3: I've never seen it all the way through. I did
[16:11] Speaker 3: cant tell an Tony, I don't say nothing. He's just like,
[16:13] Speaker 3: you do the same I do. He'd be like, yep, yeah, yep,
[16:16] Speaker 3: I really you're here?
[16:18] Speaker 2: All right? You up? I'm gonna go with uh what
[16:23] Speaker 2: do we not say?
[16:24] Speaker 1: Oh?
[16:24] Speaker 2: The Fighter say something? I wouldn't go. Yeah, The Fighter
[16:27] Speaker 2: with Christian Bell, Mick Wahlberg, wake Way bird Burg.
[16:33] Speaker 3: Amy Adams is in that thing as well, brilliantly cast.
[16:37] Speaker 3: The performances are amazing. Christian Bale got his first Oscar
[16:40] Speaker 3: for that. It might be his only one, too far.
[16:43] Speaker 3: He lost mad Way for he was super.
[16:46] Speaker 1: He was like from from that as skin as he
[16:50] Speaker 1: wasn't that, and as big as he was when he
[16:52] Speaker 1: I can't remember the name of the movie, but when
[16:53] Speaker 1: he played Dick Cheney.
[16:54] Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, Vice Vice.
[16:57] Speaker 3: And I'm like, bro, you doing this for real yourself?
[16:59] Speaker 3: He's like he he went from the Machinist to the
[17:04] Speaker 3: Dark Knight. Batman begins, oh, dang the machine. He was
[17:09] Speaker 3: emaciated in that movie.
[17:11] Speaker 2: Yeah, he was.
[17:12] Speaker 3: He was sickening. Now you see every bone in his body.
[17:16] Speaker 3: And then he went from that to Bulkan up. He
[17:19] Speaker 3: was a pretty big Yeah. So I'm like, yo, bro.
[17:23] Speaker 3: He eventually he was like, yo, I got a chill

[17:36] Speaker 3: cracked out and dealing with things in the Fighter. Dang,

[17:49] Speaker 1: of the Pod. I would love to work with her,

[18:09] Speaker 1: I would the competitive part of me to all jokes asidey,
[18:12] Speaker 1: the competitive part of me would be like, I want
[18:13] Speaker 1: to raise myself to your level like her.
[18:16] Speaker 2: With Zel tonight put me across the table from all
[18:21] Speaker 2: the day was right now MARYL. Street, because she was

[18:46] Speaker 1: Maryl was like, hold on a second, what are you saying?
[18:50] Speaker 2: You know what saying was coming out her mouth. I
[18:52] Speaker 2: know my son and I know his father, and I
[18:55] Speaker 2: know the world. Let him touch my boy. I ain't

[20:34] Speaker 1: the show I'll be trending into. But Meryl Street was
[20:40] Speaker 1: like she had to take it. She was like, damn, dang, man,
[20:44] Speaker 1: he you really stuck. She like, I need you to
[20:47] Speaker 1: go to bat She's like, I need you to shut up. Man,
[20:50] Speaker 1: you gonna get him killed. You hear me, I know
[20:54] Speaker 1: what you're saying. Do you know what I'm saying?
[20:56] Speaker 3: In the brilliance of the scene, man, it was just
[20:58] Speaker 3: like you felt Viola Davis his internal struggle. And she
[21:02] Speaker 3: was expressing this to me because she knows she had
[21:05] Speaker 3: to force it out of her.
[21:06] Speaker 2: And it was just like, damn yeah because you Oscar.
[21:11] Speaker 2: Now was like.
[21:15] Speaker 1: One scene and it was like, I mean, y'all, we
[21:17] Speaker 1: got to we got to it's that brilliant all right,
[21:21] Speaker 1: it is my turn.
[21:22] Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Spotlight. Yes, I was just thinking about
[21:25] Speaker 2: that movie based on what I thought you was gonna
[21:27] Speaker 2: say it.
[21:27] Speaker 1: When you just said the Spotlight is a is a
[21:30] Speaker 1: brilliant movie.
[21:32] Speaker 2: It makes me like miss.
[21:35] Speaker 1: The the time newspapers had they had time to work
[21:42] Speaker 1: on a story, they had time to get quotes through
[21:45] Speaker 1: interviews sources like and they could break I feel like
[21:48] Speaker 1: because of the way the world is now, it still
[21:52] Speaker 1: happens sometimes with like The Atlantic or The New Yorker
[21:55] Speaker 1: or The Times or stuff, but not as much as
[21:58] Speaker 1: like Watergate, I felt like would be broken by video
[22:02] Speaker 1: or by Team James more than like journalists.
[22:04] Speaker 3: Yeah, Ter Nickson, y'all want to get as we called
[22:08] Speaker 3: him on Instagram, breakfast club like what I'm talking about.
[22:12] Speaker 2: But Spotlight man, they was going.
[22:14] Speaker 1: They was like and then they had the internal struggle
[22:17] Speaker 1: and they was like, nah man, we got it.
[22:19] Speaker 2: This is our job, this is our duty.
[22:22] Speaker 3: So yeah, and the way that the way the cast
[22:26] Speaker 3: was amazing. Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, what say Mark Ruffalo
[22:30] Speaker 3: has that is him? Don't you think that's really him?
[22:33] Speaker 3: I feel like that's he's in his spirit for real,
[22:37] Speaker 3: because that's how he be on the Red Carpet.
[22:39] Speaker 1: He's like, nah man, this is how to do something
[22:41] Speaker 1: about what's happening to these kids.
[22:44] Speaker 2: They were fed up. He was fed up.
[22:47] Speaker 1: I got it. I can't stay quiet. And that's when
[22:50] Speaker 1: he was on the Red Carpet. They was talking about something.
[22:52] Speaker 1: He was like, he can't staying, I can't. I don't
[22:54] Speaker 1: even know what you're talking about. Palestine, y'all. Yeah, I
[22:58] Speaker 1: don't even be feeling good about being here.
[23:03] Speaker 2: This is all great, but man, this ship is wrong. Man.
[23:05] Speaker 3: We had a president in office that's on some bullshit, y'all.
[23:10] Speaker 3: But the golden clothes man, Fuck, the real globe was
[23:13] Speaker 3: in turmoil, y'all.
[23:15] Speaker 2: We gotta do something. They're gonna turn into the whole
[23:20] Speaker 2: for real, for real.
[23:22] Speaker 1: But I love that about him is amazing. That's why
[23:25] Speaker 1: he's perfectly casting that wrong. Yeah, because they cause he
[23:28] Speaker 1: can champion and everybody ain't really going with you my ruffalo,
[23:32] Speaker 1: Like nah, man, I gotta say it. And he and
[23:35] Speaker 1: he moved the people. It was like when you're right, Ruffalo,
[23:39] Speaker 1: Like I know, imagin ain't my character's name in this.
[23:42] Speaker 3: And even even when they were investigating the people that
[23:45] Speaker 3: were the victims of these priests, when they would talk
[23:49] Speaker 3: to them, I remember, uh Rachel McAdams was talking to
[23:52] Speaker 3: one of the kids that grew up to be an
[23:54] Speaker 3: adult when he had like broke down. It was like
[23:58] Speaker 3: moments that just felt real. I was just like, man,
[24:00] Speaker 3: this movie is amazing. Yeah, I'm glad that one best
[24:03] Speaker 3: picture for sure.
[24:04] Speaker 2: We got one more each. That's what we're talking. Oh,
[24:07] Speaker 2: that's here we go.
[24:09] Speaker 1: Boston got so many, so many movies.
[24:12] Speaker 2: Man, I'm gonna go with dang Man. I don't know
[24:23] Speaker 2: Coder was in Boston. I didn't even know. I didn't
[24:26] Speaker 2: see Coder either.
[24:28] Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with I'm gonna just pick this movie
[24:31] Speaker 3: on the sheer performance of Johnny Depp Black mass.
[24:36] Speaker 1: You you bring that performance up in that movie all
[24:40] Speaker 1: the time.
[24:40] Speaker 3: Johnny Depp and Black Mask, because whenever people be like
[24:43] Speaker 3: Johnny Depp always just.
[24:45] Speaker 2: A quirky He's just quirky and weird all the time.
[24:48] Speaker 3: And I be I bring up Blow, I bring up
[24:50] Speaker 3: Donny Brasco, and you gotta watch Black Masks Man. Yeah,
[24:54] Speaker 3: he plays Whitey Bulger, Whitey Bulger. He is creepy, menacing,
[25:02] Speaker 3: just like damn. He got the accent. He's like, yo, man,
[25:05] Speaker 3: he is a scary guy. What's his name is in it?
[25:08] Speaker 3: Doctor Strange, Benny Diict, Cumberbat.
[25:11] Speaker 2: What a name on him? The name is God's name Ben.
[25:16] Speaker 2: They was cumber back, syllables McGee for his name. What
[25:20] Speaker 2: they call him? For sure? Benny Come. That was bad.
[25:24] Speaker 2: That was bad.
[25:25] Speaker 1: Benny comes bad as it came out, I said, now,
[25:30] Speaker 1: Benny come, and in theory that could could work.
[25:34] Speaker 2: But Benny to come. As it left my mouth, I'm
[25:41] Speaker 2: tried to read come. It's tough. B C. Maybe just
[25:45] Speaker 2: b C. Benny. D's what's up? Dick with the t
[25:51] Speaker 2: on there, Dick uh Man on the on the sheers
[25:59] Speaker 2: fill for Johnny performance.
[26:00] Speaker 1: Man, Okay, if we're gonna share string of performance and
[26:02] Speaker 1: I'm gonna go shut her island.
[26:04] Speaker 2: And I don't love that movie. I don't either.
[26:09] Speaker 1: I don't love Loving People. I don't love it at all.
[26:13] Speaker 1: But sheer performance. Leo Leonardo DiCaprio, he was grading there.
[26:20] Speaker 2: He was a ring. He'd be bringing it, man, le
[26:24] Speaker 2: bringing it.
[26:24] Speaker 3: But a lot of times he'd be the same guy.
[26:27] Speaker 1: And he's a movie stuff. He doesn't get flat for
[26:30] Speaker 1: that either. He doesn't now he they are gonna throw in, uh,
[26:35] Speaker 1: what's eaton?
[26:35] Speaker 2: Gilbert Grape? That was years ago, like post Titanic.
[26:39] Speaker 1: Post Titanic Leo be and Leo you can plug, you
[26:42] Speaker 1: can plug his blood diamond character into Oh my God,
[26:46] Speaker 1: Wolf of Wall Street. Just blood diamond in in.
[26:49] Speaker 3: In stocks Yeah, you can plug the aviator into you
[26:55] Speaker 3: can break the aviator into the great Gas.
[26:56] Speaker 2: For sure, you can.
[26:57] Speaker 1: That might be the if if somebody cut a seat
[27:00] Speaker 1: in between that movie, you might not even notice it
[27:03] Speaker 1: because that was that was like.
[27:05] Speaker 3: Until he starts getting into his reclusive stage.
[27:09] Speaker 2: It's a great Yeah, you.
[27:10] Speaker 3: Know what I mean, and so but I feel like
[27:14] Speaker 3: to be a movie star, you have to be.
[27:16] Speaker 2: That is the benefit and the drop back.
[27:19] Speaker 1: But that's why, that's why there's more than one person
[27:21] Speaker 1: in a movie, because you gotta have somebody that's gonna
[27:24] Speaker 1: sell the ticket. You gotta have the ticket seller, and
[27:26] Speaker 1: then you gotta have the Tom Sizemore. My god, Tom
[27:30] Speaker 1: Sizemow was never gonna open a movie, but he makes movies.
[27:34] Speaker 1: He is not even He probably number eleven on the
[27:38] Speaker 1: maybe nine on.
[27:39] Speaker 2: The fifth or sixth, and he enemy of the State.
[27:43] Speaker 2: He probably lower than that nine.
[27:45] Speaker 1: But his scenes, Yeah, you're gonna go choo chow, you
[27:49] Speaker 1: got a gun, you got a guns, will Gene Hackman,
[27:52] Speaker 1: Regina King, they got your boy, Angeline and Joe Lead,
[27:57] Speaker 1: Daddy John voice in there. But when Tom Sizemore is
[28:01] Speaker 1: on the screen saving Private Ryan, he but you're not
[28:05] Speaker 1: gonna go see any of the State starring Tom Sizemore
[28:08] Speaker 1: as my boss.
[28:09] Speaker 3: You needed that Tom Hanks. Steven Spielberg even out ranks.
[28:13] Speaker 3: Steven Spielberger corrected, you can put it character.
[28:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, he can put above the title.
[28:17] Speaker 1: WA's what we need to do, movies that you'll go
[28:21] Speaker 1: see based on the director, because you you put me.
[28:25] Speaker 1: When we were talking about Christian Bell opening movies. When
[28:28] Speaker 1: we was talking about Bridan Frankenstein tanking, and I was like, man,
[28:32] Speaker 1: I thought he was opening good. He was like, you
[28:34] Speaker 1: put him with Chris, Christopher Nolan or somebody p then
[28:37] Speaker 1: he opened good. Christopher Nolan was also set like Christopher
[28:41] Speaker 1: Nolan done sold all his movies except maybe the Batman franchise.
[28:45] Speaker 2: Yeah Batman, you know what I'm saying. But he he,
[28:47] Speaker 2: I think he helped.
[28:48] Speaker 1: But I would have seen Batman if it was directed
[28:51] Speaker 1: by Josiah Frinchus.
[28:53] Speaker 2: Like, Joe don't even know you directed movie Batman. I'm
[28:57] Speaker 2: just gonna go.
[28:58] Speaker 3: See the beginning of Batman. Your reason, bad Crush, We're
[29:01] Speaker 3: taking out the beginning of the bad Man.
[29:03] Speaker 1: We're just gonna start for scrapping even though you made
[29:05] Speaker 1: move Yeah right, but there's certain Spike him, Steven Spielberg
[29:12] Speaker 1: from even I don't want to listen now.
[29:14] Speaker 2: But Denny Vilanov was becoming that now are low key
[29:19] Speaker 2: yim uh torow there's another Frankansteon was so good. I
[29:26] Speaker 2: proof of direct. Frankenstein was great.
[29:29] Speaker 1: Jacob Alordi blew me. I said, okay, he was. Frankenstein
[29:33] Speaker 1: is usually just yea. This man was like Victor, Yeah,
[29:39] Speaker 1: lifta you acting because when you can only say Victor
[29:43] Speaker 1: for like an hour?
[29:44] Speaker 2: Yeah that I am growed.
[29:46] Speaker 1: Did you see the video Vin Diesel? How serious he
[29:49] Speaker 1: took through.
[29:55] Speaker 3: Because you gotta convey everything he's saying into one I
[29:58] Speaker 3: am grew That's a good acting.
[30:00] Speaker 1: We used to do that in acting class. That was
[30:02] Speaker 1: a thing like I gotta say I hate you what
[30:03] Speaker 1: Iron Group? Right, I love you? I miss you? But
[30:06] Speaker 1: been Diesel him and Hugh Jackman. Yeah, when Hugh Jackeen
[30:09] Speaker 1: was doing that ad R.
[30:11] Speaker 2: Oh yeah he's running. Damn he's acting because you gotta
[30:17] Speaker 2: you gotta.
[30:18] Speaker 3: I've done eightyr before and like I did that voice
[30:21] Speaker 3: spec work for uh that Transformers movie, and you gotta
[30:25] Speaker 3: really be in.
[30:26] Speaker 2: There on the mic looking at the screen, just really yeah.
[30:30] Speaker 3: Even when I did that. That cartoon Me and Angel
[30:33] Speaker 3: did well. I'm the wrestler and we were fighting. I
[30:35] Speaker 3: gotta build up. You got to be serious about it.

[32:12] Speaker 2: is tough. This is impossible, my quetor Bradley, this is tough.
[32:16] Speaker 2: This is impossible. This is impossible. She was laughing when
[32:21] Speaker 2: she made this. She was like, yes, I did.
[32:24] Speaker 3: That's gonna make him squirm. Oh my god, this is
[32:28] Speaker 3: gonna be tough man.
[32:32] Speaker 2: Oh my god.
[32:33] Speaker 3: I'm personalized in this list. I'm not doing this for
[32:35] Speaker 3: the culture. I'm not doing this for the greater goods.
[32:38] Speaker 2: He hates black people. You know what I'm saying. I
[32:41] Speaker 2: wouldn't even conte the Jurrassic Parker sci fi movie.
[32:43] Speaker 1: But it okay, I'm gonna personalize too, man, shut the
[32:48] Speaker 1: hell up. If you don't like it, get in you caick.
[32:50] Speaker 1: Wait he kicking it off right, Okay, we're not talking franchise.
[32:55] Speaker 1: I can pick any Star Wars movie. Yeah, this is tough.
[33:04] Speaker 2: I'm gonna go.
[33:07] Speaker 1: Terminator to judgment when when I saw that, and I
[33:12] Speaker 1: love Terminator, but that's also one of my sequels are
[33:14] Speaker 1: better than the original, and the original is good, but
[33:17] Speaker 1: with Arnold as now on the good side. Who's the
[33:24] Speaker 1: dude who plays Robert Patrick? Robert Patrick? So I was
[33:29] Speaker 1: watching YouTube videos. I watched it. I'll watch a random
[33:32] Speaker 1: YouTube video off, I've got some the I was watching
[33:35] Speaker 1: this video on how he practiced running without blinking so
[33:39] Speaker 1: he can look more scary s T one thousand. He
[33:44] Speaker 1: also wanted to run and look like he wasn't breathing.
[33:46] Speaker 1: Seems like a robot would not have breath or blink,
[33:51] Speaker 1: And I'm like, that's why he looks so terrifying, because
[33:54] Speaker 1: I'm he just and when remember the first time they
[33:56] Speaker 1: shot him and his body turned to the caprice son.
[34:00] Speaker 2: I said, oh my god, we're done this.
[34:03] Speaker 1: Niggas Alex Mack you go because Arnold was already terrifying
[34:09] Speaker 1: in the first one with you know, half robot half
[34:12] Speaker 1: you know man skin this dude, is.
[34:16] Speaker 2: We gonna die? And your girl who plays is it
[34:21] Speaker 2: Sarah Connor Hamilton? Is that the one where she cocks
[34:25] Speaker 2: the shotgun with with one arm? Or is in the
[34:27] Speaker 2: first one that was it? She was injured man, sexy
[34:33] Speaker 2: white woman. To me as a kid, I was like
[34:36] Speaker 2: a turned on right now. She won my favorite movie character.
[34:40] Speaker 2: She's gray, so yeah.
[34:42] Speaker 3: He transition when you look at her from the first
[34:44] Speaker 3: one when she's all soft and she was working at.
[34:49] Speaker 2: The little at the restaurant. She was gritty when that
[34:53] Speaker 2: transition and low key's gotten that.
[34:55] Speaker 1: Like all the movies about the robots, they eventually decide
[34:59] Speaker 1: humans the problem, Right, we got to kill y'all.
[35:03] Speaker 2: Now human Scott, that was like, you know what, we're
[35:07] Speaker 2: actually great as robots. I think we need to get
[35:11] Speaker 2: rid of y'all. They're not wrong.
[35:15] Speaker 1: You think I ain't gonna be like if they destroy
[35:19] Speaker 1: the planet, they're gonna destroy us.
[35:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, what if we just killed them?
[35:22] Speaker 1: Y'all?
[35:23] Speaker 2: It always comes to.
[35:24] Speaker 3: It's logical when you take emotion out of everything. Robots
[35:28] Speaker 3: are like, we don't need this.
[35:30] Speaker 2: Does the planet kill them? Yeah? All right? You up.
[35:34] Speaker 3: I wouldn't say this about Terminator too, to say what
[35:37] Speaker 3: you want if you didn't see extended trailers or any
[35:41] Speaker 3: type of like you know stuff, you're going to Terminator
[35:45] Speaker 3: to just watching it raw and you already seen the
[35:48] Speaker 3: first one and you see the Terminator Arnold looking for
[35:52] Speaker 3: John Carnor because if you look at it on paper,
[35:56] Speaker 3: Robert Patrick looked like he could have been a good guy.
[35:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you see there's a.
[36:01] Speaker 3: Scene where he comes comes into contact with both of
[36:04] Speaker 3: them and you see Arnold going for That would have
[36:06] Speaker 3: been amazing reveal.
[36:09] Speaker 2: Just like, oh ship, Arnold's good this time. That would
[36:14] Speaker 2: have blew your head off if you.
[36:16] Speaker 3: Didn't know that Arnold was gonna be good in the
[36:18] Speaker 3: second one and all here protecting it. Yeah, those bleeding
[36:22] Speaker 3: popcorn just popped out the thing.
[36:25] Speaker 2: That would have been an amazing realiz you all right?
[36:29] Speaker 2: For me?
[36:30] Speaker 1: Aliens, I left that there for it because I thought
[36:34] Speaker 1: about taking man, but I said, I don't want to
[36:37] Speaker 1: do them like.
[36:38] Speaker 3: Aliens is my favorite movie. That movie, to me is
[36:42] Speaker 3: the perfect sci fi action horror blend it's all in one,
[36:47] Speaker 3: it's all inclusive.
[36:48] Speaker 2: It's a cruise. You got the great dynamic of we
[36:52] Speaker 2: sending the team. Man, just kick ass.
[36:54] Speaker 3: Marie's gone, and you got the one now man, y'all
[36:58] Speaker 3: don't know what y'all dealing with, but I'm gonna go.
[37:00] Speaker 3: And then you got the CD dude with the ulterior motive.
[37:03] Speaker 3: It's always the ulterior motive. Guy in the mental terror
[37:07] Speaker 3: and horror.
[37:08] Speaker 2: I gotta get this back to the company. Every every time,
[37:13] Speaker 2: that's that's actually what happened. And welcome and Darry. It
[37:15] Speaker 2: always had generals like we need to make him for
[37:18] Speaker 2: the brush and it was like we gonna die.
[37:21] Speaker 3: We're gonna contain this horrible creature that we can't control
[37:24] Speaker 3: it and try to control it and use it.
[37:26] Speaker 2: For stranger things.
[37:27] Speaker 1: It's always come back to capitalism is the real veil
[37:31] Speaker 1: every time, every time.
[37:33] Speaker 3: And Aliens to me contains one of my favorite movie
[37:36] Speaker 3: characters in Ripley play by Sigourney Weaver.
[37:39] Speaker 2: You love her.
[37:40] Speaker 3: I love her because she is just the perfect like
[37:44] Speaker 3: she's scared, she's terrified. She has to do what she
[37:48] Speaker 3: has to do and ain't no fake bullshit. She gotta
[37:51] Speaker 3: be tough. When she gotta be tough, but you still
[37:53] Speaker 3: see the vulnerability. It's all just perfectly blended within her.
[37:57] Speaker 3: And James Cameron gonna milk every action he can out
[38:02] Speaker 3: of everything.
[38:03] Speaker 2: He might be another director. Oh absolutely, he might be enough.
[38:07] Speaker 3: Just say, James Cameron, we pulling up. And the Aliens
[38:12] Speaker 3: are terrifying, man, these are terrifying. One was bad enough.
[38:18] Speaker 3: Now you got a population with the double mouth and
[38:22] Speaker 3: the acid blood.
[38:23] Speaker 2: And the long head. What you're gonna do when you
[38:26] Speaker 2: see them in the roof. You're just looking for him
[38:28] Speaker 2: there in the room, man. They're in the room, bro.
[38:31] Speaker 2: And then he looks up in the ceiling and they crawl.
[38:33] Speaker 3: Man, come on, man, aliens is perfect.
[38:38] Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go. The Matrix, Okay,
[38:42] Speaker 1: I freaking.
[38:45] Speaker 3: This.
[38:45] Speaker 2: Ain't seen a matrix period, She's never seen it. How
[38:50] Speaker 2: she dissed that, I don't know that was together? Then?
[38:52] Speaker 1: No, no, when we met the next summer, you're young,
[38:57] Speaker 1: we are. I went and saw the Matrix by myself.
[39:00] Speaker 1: I go to hold you as a Christian, still super religious.
[39:03] Speaker 1: Hated the gays at this time. I hated the gays.
[39:08] Speaker 1: Don't hate the gays now, but when I saw the
[39:10] Speaker 1: Matrix and I stepped outside of El Paso, I went
[39:13] Speaker 1: by myself.
[39:14] Speaker 2: The Passo sucks. I stepped outside and for like a
[39:19] Speaker 2: good five minutes tone I was like, how do I know? Like,
[39:24] Speaker 2: how would I know?
[39:26] Speaker 1: Because the movie could be a part of the Matrix.
[39:28] Speaker 1: They could put me in here and I still be
[39:30] Speaker 1: in the Matrix. The thing I love about the Matrix
[39:34] Speaker 1: the villain, I guess, not the villain, but the backstabber
[39:38] Speaker 1: guy completely justified for sure.
[39:41] Speaker 2: He was like, I don't care, man, I'm not eating
[39:45] Speaker 2: gruel again.
[39:46] Speaker 3: I think you would be him because you bougie. Come on, man,
[39:52] Speaker 3: put me in the Fourth Seasons. Let me get this
[39:55] Speaker 3: ruse Chris, this is him. Let me find would just
[39:59] Speaker 3: be like up girl Girl Girl's.
[40:04] Speaker 2: Ship every day. They were like, you know what I'm
[40:07] Speaker 2: built for, Zion, I'm built for that. We wearing the
[40:11] Speaker 2: same clothes. I'm built for that. You gonna be like,
[40:16] Speaker 2: man the Fourth Seasons, man ignorant, brutal. He ain't that steak?
[40:24] Speaker 2: He was like, ain't not the captain from Bad Boys? Yeah?
[40:27] Speaker 1: Yeah, Joe Pleo, Yeah, he said, man, and uh not
[40:32] Speaker 1: like this, not like this the way it was gone.
[40:36] Speaker 2: I say that all the time.
[40:38] Speaker 1: Oh, that first one was so good. Uhgo Mortenson, h.
[40:44] Speaker 2: And B go Mortensen. Mister Henderson, who is it? You
[40:47] Speaker 2: go weaving? You go weaving. You're right, I'd be getting
[40:50] Speaker 2: them confused.
[40:51] Speaker 1: I can see why Hugo weavings when he would just
[40:54] Speaker 1: say misster, just the way he was saying so dry
[40:59] Speaker 1: like man.
[41:00] Speaker 2: Early on, he was like damn when they were first
[41:03] Speaker 2: looking like, you know, I saw that movie before it
[41:06] Speaker 2: was actually released.
[41:06] Speaker 3: They used to show They used to show us early
[41:09] Speaker 3: releases on campus in New Mexico State.
[41:11] Speaker 1: Oh, I saw Next Riday like that. They showed it
[41:14] Speaker 1: like like a month before, and I was like, yo,
[41:16] Speaker 1: this is good.
[41:18] Speaker 2: Raw.
[41:18] Speaker 3: There was no there was no word of mouth, there
[41:20] Speaker 3: was no I'm sorry, not next right. We went in
[41:22] Speaker 3: there and saw the mass raw and I was just
[41:24] Speaker 3: like my teeth shattered.
[41:26] Speaker 2: I was just like, this ship is so perfect. Will.
[41:32] Speaker 1: I know Will regrets turning it down, but his character
[41:35] Speaker 1: he too big to be Neo, not like physically big,
[41:38] Speaker 1: but like charisma Neo needs. Neo's main thing is.
[41:42] Speaker 2: He needed to be unsure if he could do this.
[41:45] Speaker 1: Will Smith has too much charisma to be like I
[41:48] Speaker 1: don't know like Keanu is just like this kind of
[41:50] Speaker 1: like and you don't know until he knows.
[41:53] Speaker 2: I remember when the.
[41:57] Speaker 1: The bullet scene at that time, that was revel, that
[42:01] Speaker 1: was in the move that was in pop culture for years.
[42:05] Speaker 2: They required directors were doing. It was everywhere that the game.
[42:13] Speaker 1: But as far as sci fi goes, just a great
[42:15] Speaker 1: original concept. Stolen by from a black woman. Yeah, stolen
[42:21] Speaker 1: a black woman. Had to sue. She got paid though,
[42:25] Speaker 1: we Jahowski. I think their sisters now, yes, I think
[42:27] Speaker 1: they're yeah, but they both they're both transition.
[42:31] Speaker 2: But it was a black woman. I can't remember her name,
[42:33] Speaker 2: but it was a black woman who terminated too.
[42:38] Speaker 1: She might be yeah, but anyway, the matrix, Sophia Stewart,
[42:44] Speaker 1: that's her.
[42:44] Speaker 2: Name was it determinated as well. It was another movie.
[42:47] Speaker 1: They had to pay her out to Marquity Bradley because
[42:50] Speaker 1: she let them rack up all that bread.
[42:54] Speaker 2: Yep.
[42:54] Speaker 1: And she was like, oh this is yep, rack up
[42:57] Speaker 1: all that box office. Oh my god, y'all doing good? Yeah,
[43:02] Speaker 1: y'all eat, that's crazy going.
[43:09] Speaker 2: Because if you gonna sue somebody, you gotta let to
[43:11] Speaker 2: make all the brad first.
[43:12] Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because do you now, because you don't want
[43:15] Speaker 3: to sue a movie that bomb.
[43:17] Speaker 2: You got it, man, all Right, you're up, Tom Man,
[43:21] Speaker 2: this is tough. This is tough. We're gonna have to
[43:23] Speaker 2: do part two. I'm going I'm going back to the future.
[43:27] Speaker 2: Back to the Future is one of my favorite movies.
[43:29] Speaker 1: Man.
[43:29] Speaker 3: It's a perfect blend in comedy, action, adventure, excitement.
[43:33] Speaker 2: I love time travel. Uh. The characters are just amazing.
[43:37] Speaker 2: Marty and Doc Brown and Biff, Biff Tom F.
[43:42] Speaker 3: Wilson don't get enough credit for his as Biff, as
[43:46] Speaker 3: old Beff and young Biff, has all these different Biffs.
[43:50] Speaker 2: The Biff they got beat up and now he's nice again,
[43:53] Speaker 2: the mad dog Tanning in the Old West.
[43:57] Speaker 3: He don't get enough perform Yeah, because Fly was always Marty, Yes,
[44:04] Speaker 3: I mean he had to be like old Marty eventually
[44:06] Speaker 3: and like you know, and then Doc Brown was always
[44:08] Speaker 3: just old and young, but he never felt different like that.
[44:13] Speaker 3: But Biff, though, his transitions was crazy for sure. And
[44:16] Speaker 3: Back to the Future. To me, that's when I fell
[44:19] Speaker 3: in love with movies. It was like I remember seeing
[44:21] Speaker 3: that in the movie theater. It was like it was
[44:23] Speaker 3: a combination of like Ghostbusters and Back to the Future
[44:27] Speaker 3: that made me love movies.
[44:28] Speaker 2: I was just like this, this is it. Yeah, with
[44:31] Speaker 2: you back to the future, I'm gonna go. Men in Black. Yeah,
[44:35] Speaker 2: that's a good one. Men in Black will Smith fully
[44:40] Speaker 2: in his start up. Will Smith was fantastic. Him opposite
[44:45] Speaker 2: Tommy Lee Jones. Great casting. They got along because Tommy
[44:49] Speaker 2: Lee Jones seems cranky. Yeah he does. Jones.
[44:54] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he hated in The Batman. Yeah, he hated
[44:58] Speaker 1: work played too much.
[45:00] Speaker 2: He told him. He was like, I hate you. He
[45:05] Speaker 2: told him that of the restaurant, just curious. I really
[45:10] Speaker 2: I don't like you. He was so good man and
[45:16] Speaker 2: just the premise is goodtastic.
[45:18] Speaker 1: And uh, your boy, Vincent dian Frio, heat, your skin's
[45:23] Speaker 1: falling off your bones. He had to play a big
[45:28] Speaker 1: roach wearing human skin. That's what he had to play
[45:32] Speaker 1: as an actor. You are a roach wearing human skin action.
[45:38] Speaker 2: He did so good.
[45:39] Speaker 1: I believed it too. Full unbelievability. The Wicked Cricket music video.
[45:45] Speaker 1: I mean the they printed money when that movie came out.
[45:48] Speaker 2: Yeah. Men in Black days extremely well, great bands.
[45:50] Speaker 1: Cells through the Room, just a great sci fi movie,
[45:55] Speaker 1: fun little action comedy. Will Smith dragging that egg chair
[45:59] Speaker 1: across him sitting outside while the sun sets aside him.
[46:02] Speaker 2: He's gonna be erased. Perfect.
[46:05] Speaker 1: Michael Jackson was in the secondecond one Yeah, second one
[46:08] Speaker 1: Asian m Yeah. Michael Jackson was like, I want to
[46:11] Speaker 1: be a mini black.
[46:12] Speaker 2: They was like, all right, man, you said you was
[46:13] Speaker 2: gonna get back to me. They could him off.
[46:15] Speaker 1: He was like, nah, man for real, and he said
[46:17] Speaker 1: he wanted to change the name of Zad to something else.
[46:19] Speaker 1: And they're like, all right, Mike, y'all know, if you're
[46:22] Speaker 1: gonna be in the movie, you.
[46:23] Speaker 2: Gonna say the stuff. We say, Alright, you're up told.
[46:29] Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with Gotta go with Jurassic Park, Man,
[46:32] Speaker 3: Jurassic Park. That's another movie that caught me off guard.
[46:35] Speaker 3: I thought it was gonna be some buttery soft little
[46:38] Speaker 3: dino flick where they making friends with the dinosaurs. Because
[46:41] Speaker 3: it was Steven Spielberg. I was like, all right, it's
[46:43] Speaker 3: gonna be sentimental in some way. Went up in that
[46:46] Speaker 3: thing that shit blew me away dug from the first
[46:49] Speaker 3: trace when that t Rex emerged and then the raptors
[46:54] Speaker 3: got to going. Man, I was like, bro, I remember
[46:56] Speaker 3: I had a big ass Jurassic jawbreaker, like it was
[46:59] Speaker 3: a big you know. Yeah, they made it look like
[47:04] Speaker 3: a dinosaur egg. And I was just like and then
[47:06] Speaker 3: I just put it back in the little plastic cases.
[47:10] Speaker 3: Mesmerize was eating people.
[47:12] Speaker 2: Special effects at that time.
[47:14] Speaker 3: Yes, I remember when the raptors were looking for the
[47:17] Speaker 3: kids in the kitchen. In the kitchen, they were looking around.
[47:21] Speaker 3: You could see the reflection from the computer on the
[47:23] Speaker 3: raptors neck, like it was all those like cold ye cold.
[47:27] Speaker 2: You could see it on that. I was just like
[47:30] Speaker 2: the raptors were terrified. Yeah, because I wasn't familiar with rapping.
[47:34] Speaker 1: I was like, okay, t Rex told the movie Raptor
[47:37] Speaker 1: got they they were the tom size more of the
[47:40] Speaker 1: they were because they small.
[47:42] Speaker 2: Yes, like okay, getting up in that kitchen down, they're
[47:46] Speaker 2: getting up under the garage. You know what I'm saying.
[47:49] Speaker 2: They're coming for you, Like I can't fit in there.
[47:53] Speaker 2: I'm just wait for you. I was just waiting for
[47:56] Speaker 2: you here. You got to come out. You gotta come
[48:00] Speaker 2: out soon.
[48:00] Speaker 1: In the league was that t Rex was screaming in
[48:03] Speaker 1: the Dinosaurs World the world banner just a gradual and
[48:07] Speaker 1: that jeep man. I used to want that jeep. Yeah, Colorway,
[48:12] Speaker 1: I was like y'all did, y'all did y'all Big One.
[48:14] Speaker 1: That whole scene was amazing.
[48:15] Speaker 3: Castle was great. Jeff Goblin, I loved him in that one.
[48:19] Speaker 3: But yeah, man, yeah, I'm with you.
[48:21] Speaker 2: How long you got left? I don't mess up. It's
[48:22] Speaker 2: a fantastic it's a good job.
[48:25] Speaker 1: Man. Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna stick with my personal ones.
[48:30] Speaker 1: And I wanted to keep it personal. I'm gonna keep
[48:32] Speaker 1: it personal. Demolition Man, Okay, that was and Simon Phoenix
[48:38] Speaker 1: Stallan such a.
[48:40] Speaker 2: Book is in that that? Yeah, that was before Speed. Yeah,
[48:44] Speaker 2: she doubled up. It was like Demolition Man was ninety three.
[48:48] Speaker 2: Speed was ninety four.
[48:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, small little primit, I mean, small role. I mean
[48:53] Speaker 1: it's not a small role, but it was smaller than
[48:55] Speaker 1: Wesleyan for sure. Uh And Sly was clever little premise
[49:01] Speaker 1: of like, you know, we locked up all the criminals,
[49:04] Speaker 1: there's no crime. I remember when I was a kid
[49:07] Speaker 1: in a small part of the movies before I realized
[49:09] Speaker 1: like you could make money with brands and stuff. And
[49:13] Speaker 1: they had a part of that movie. They had the
[49:14] Speaker 1: Fast Food Wars There's only gonna be one fast Food
[49:16] Speaker 1: in the future, and it was Taco Bell, and I
[49:18] Speaker 1: was like, how.
[49:19] Speaker 2: The hell did they the fast food ward? I was like,
[49:23] Speaker 2: McDonald's would have won that burger king.
[49:25] Speaker 1: And then when I found out Taco Bell paid to
[49:28] Speaker 1: be the thing, I said, oh, y'all didn't tell me
[49:31] Speaker 1: that because I ain't no way you beat McDonald's. But anyway,
[49:33] Speaker 1: Wesley Snipe is amazing. I think Dennis Leary was in
[49:36] Speaker 1: there too, as the underground. Yeah, Wesley Snipe was just
[49:42] Speaker 1: Benjamin at that time in his life. He sure was
[49:46] Speaker 1: at that time in Wesley's not Wesley Snipe's life. He
[49:48] Speaker 1: could do no wrong. He was crushing his roles. He
[49:51] Speaker 1: just u fighting in the Three Shells. How they had
[49:56] Speaker 1: the bathroom like.
[50:00] Speaker 2: Works. Ralph Schneider's in there. This sucks man. Don't remind
[50:04] Speaker 2: me of him, but nah, demolish your man for my
[50:07] Speaker 2: personal my personal. Okay, there's so many good movies. God
[50:16] Speaker 2: damn it. Man, we're leaving stuff out, y'all. Stuff.
[50:19] Speaker 3: I don't want to hear nothing, But I love everything
[50:21] Speaker 3: y'all saying, I see it. We just got to come
[50:24] Speaker 3: with some shit. I'm gonna go with the sci fi tip.
[50:30] Speaker 3: I'm gonna go the movies that affected me. Personally, I'm
[50:34] Speaker 3: gonna go with the thing from nineteen eighty two.
[50:36] Speaker 2: Oh nice. This movie to me is more horror.
[50:41] Speaker 3: Than any goddamn thing. But that movie is a perfect
[50:47] Speaker 3: horror movie, sci fi horror. The alien comes in and
[50:51] Speaker 3: assimilates you, your dog, your cat, any living organism. It
[50:56] Speaker 3: will assimilate and you'll know who's who, what's what. That
[51:01] Speaker 3: whole dynamic is terrifying, Like when they first open up
[51:05] Speaker 3: and they chasing that little beautiful dog and you know
[51:08] Speaker 3: they on the helicopter shooting at a dog, you like,
[51:10] Speaker 3: and I know the Whites Hell no, hell no, y'all
[51:15] Speaker 3: not gonna shoot that dog.
[51:18] Speaker 2: These casts is like, you don't know what this dog is.
[51:20] Speaker 3: And the only reason this movie was able to exist
[51:23] Speaker 3: is because they didn't speak English and they didn't speak Norwegian,
[51:27] Speaker 3: so there was a there was a conflict in language.
[51:30] Speaker 3: They ain't know what they were saying. He was like,
[51:32] Speaker 3: get away from that dog, Like what the fuck you mean?
[51:34] Speaker 3: He tried to shoot it. The dog hit one of
[51:35] Speaker 3: the American dudes and then they kill him. The other
[51:38] Speaker 3: dude blew up. They got no way to explain that's
[51:41] Speaker 3: an alien. It's gonna kill everybody. They let the dog
[51:45] Speaker 3: in and that's it in this movie. The special effects,
[51:49] Speaker 3: the practical special effects hold up to this day.
[51:52] Speaker 2: This movie ruined my life stuff. I lost sleep for
[51:57] Speaker 2: a full week of this movie.
[52:00] Speaker 3: But it is the perfect horror sci fi movie to
[52:04] Speaker 3: this day, it holds out amazingly well.
[52:07] Speaker 2: I love that.
[52:08] Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Star Wars The Empire strikes Back. That
[52:14] Speaker 1: is probably my favorite one. My second favorite is Rogue
[52:19] Speaker 1: Rogue one. I just really love Rogue one. But the
[52:22] Speaker 1: Empire Strikes Bag is just that's prime Star Wars. I mean,
[52:27] Speaker 1: they was in their bag, they was selling toys, they
[52:30] Speaker 1: had the lightsabers going, they had, I mean everything.
[52:35] Speaker 2: Luke the big snow, big giant. Yeah, he's walking and.
[52:41] Speaker 1: He just built a whole world like in his mind
[52:44] Speaker 1: rules money, right, I mean just the whole thing. And
[52:50] Speaker 1: later found out Dune that was based off Dune apparently,
[52:54] Speaker 1: but he just beat them to the punch. But anyway,
[52:57] Speaker 1: Empire strikes Back, Shift's kid man man, can we throw
[53:05] Speaker 1: Donald mentioned now? We ain't saying no, I'm we're saving
[53:08] Speaker 1: it for later. We'll do a part two because this
[53:12] Speaker 1: type of list needs a part too, because we're leaving.
[53:15] Speaker 2: Offal I know, that's what I'm saying.
[53:16] Speaker 1: It's why to get Star Wars in there, because it
[53:19] Speaker 1: actually was, like I be nerding out on Star Wars.
[53:23] Speaker 2: I'll be nerding out.
[53:25] Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with uh. When I think of sci fi,
[53:31] Speaker 3: I'm gonna go this route on this next one. There
[53:35] Speaker 3: are better movies on this list than this one. I'm
[53:37] Speaker 3: about to say, but when I think of science genre,
[53:40] Speaker 3: when I think of the genre, Blade Runner comes to
[53:42] Speaker 3: my mind quickly for sure. That whole visual is just
[53:47] Speaker 3: pure sigh five. When you think of the whole genre,
[53:51] Speaker 3: this movie comes up first.
[53:53] Speaker 2: I'm with you on that. Yeah, the whole setting, the vibe.
[53:57] Speaker 3: I really felt like, man, that's what the future is
[53:59] Speaker 3: gonna look like, and it just blew your way in
[54:02] Speaker 3: terms of mood aesthetic.
[54:05] Speaker 2: The music was amazing.
[54:06] Speaker 1: The music is like sci fi, like yeah, yeah, even
[54:09] Speaker 1: the font on the poster, everything that's futuristic.
[54:13] Speaker 2: Yes, this is science fiction. Everything just fits the title perfectly.
[54:22] Speaker 3: And like I said, even though there are better movies
[54:24] Speaker 3: in my opinion than Blade Runner, but Blade Runner is
[54:28] Speaker 3: the quintessential sci fi, which I do love, by the way, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
[54:31] Speaker 3: I do love it. But that movie had an effect
[54:34] Speaker 3: on my nine. Yeah, I liked it. You like to
[54:37] Speaker 3: do Yeah, so Blade Runner? Nonch all right for another episode.
[54:43] Speaker 3: Put that blind ranking for you. Tony six actresses named
[54:49] Speaker 3: Jennifer blind rank them. Okay, all right, No, I want
[54:55] Speaker 3: you to think too much about Runner all the Jennifers.
[55:00] Speaker 3: Man kick it off and I can do it in
[55:02] Speaker 3: the order, right, all right. I'm gonna start you off
[55:05] Speaker 3: with Jennifer Garner.
[55:07] Speaker 2: I was just thinking about her.
[55:10] Speaker 3: We'd be making fun of her this commercial she gets
[55:12] Speaker 3: She's like the world of Possibilities.
[55:16] Speaker 1: Uh, Jennifer Garner. She's cute, she's adorable. I didn't like
[55:23] Speaker 1: a lecture. Oh no, I didn't like that hate lecture.
[55:27] Speaker 1: She was getting to likes play. But but she ain't
[55:29] Speaker 1: seen that all the way, did you.
[55:30] Speaker 2: She's in there. Yeah, she's the other person. Her and
[55:35] Speaker 2: Bradley Cooper. It's about them, Jennifer Lawrence. What I say? Oh,
[55:40] Speaker 2: that's lecturer. She's in there too.
[55:47] Speaker 3: I'm gonna go I'm gonna put Jennifer Garner at six
[55:50] Speaker 3: oh six. Yeah, oh, because I feel like it's gonna
[55:55] Speaker 3: be better. Jennifer's coming in. Okay, Yeah, Jennifer Lawrence. See,
[56:00] Speaker 3: I knew she was in the mix. I gotta put
[56:02] Speaker 3: her high. Jennifer Lawrence, she'd be good, man, She do
[56:10] Speaker 3: be good, Yeah, she will.
[56:13] Speaker 2: She won't announce.
[56:13] Speaker 1: I'll be mixing up to Jennifer's and they all white,
[56:16] Speaker 1: Jennifer be you know white. Jennifer Lawrence is good and
[56:20] Speaker 1: I love her off camera. She seems like a good time. Yeah,
[56:24] Speaker 1: Jennifer Lawrence, I'm giving her the two spot. Yeah, I'm
[56:29] Speaker 1: gonna throw her at two. Even though I don't like
[56:31] Speaker 1: how she played Mystique in the X Men movies. She
[56:34] Speaker 1: phoned that ship in.
[56:37] Speaker 2: Make Hold On Man.
[56:38] Speaker 3: Just for that, Jennifer Lawrence, I'm putting her at three, Okay,
[56:42] Speaker 3: just just because she phoned in Mistique.
[56:45] Speaker 2: Man, I'm pissed, all right. Jennifer Coolidge. Oh, she's hilarious.
[56:50] Speaker 2: She's so funny. And I didn't know that was her voice.
[56:53] Speaker 2: She's not.
[56:54] Speaker 1: That's not her actual speaking voice. I love her even
[56:57] Speaker 1: more now now she does that. I saw her in
[56:59] Speaker 1: a was like, Oh, that's you're doing a good job
[57:02] Speaker 1: at that.
[57:04] Speaker 2: I was like that, you you gotta do it all
[57:08] Speaker 2: the time. It's amazing at that. Yeah, or maybe she
[57:11] Speaker 2: just plays it up, but she was not talking like that. Okay,
[57:13] Speaker 2: I'm gonna put her in the forest slide.
[57:15] Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, Jennifer Aniston, I knew she was gonna be
[57:22] Speaker 1: in the quee. She's grown on me by the ways
[57:26] Speaker 1: she's grown on me. She's the most successful friend. Yeah,
[57:29] Speaker 1: she was so good in the morning.
[57:30] Speaker 2: She had the most longevity after friends. Yeah. Uh, Lisa
[57:35] Speaker 2: got something coming out. She's in something she's not Is
[57:37] Speaker 2: it an HBO show? Yeah, something she's in. There might
[57:40] Speaker 2: be second.
[57:42] Speaker 3: No, I would say Matthew Perry was second before he passed,

[58:09] Speaker 3: nine yards the comeback, foods rushing and this is newer all.
[58:17] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. The comeback is old. They're just
