I originally created these stories for my own children on nights when they couldn’t fall asleep. What started as a simple bedtime ritual has grown into a world of imagination designed to help families wind down together at the end of the day. Play an episode for your kids and encourage them to imagine they are the hero of the story — exploring distant planets, training dragons, discovering magic, or traveling through space — all while lying safely in bed with their eyes closed. Each 15–30 minute adventure is filled with science fiction and fantasy themes kids love: spaceships, dinosaurs, dragons, wizards, and whatever wild idea we dream up next. The stories are exciting, creative, and always safe for young listeners. When the adventure ends, the episode gently transitions into calming music to reduce distractions and help your child drift off to sleep — giving you a quiet moment to step out of the room and enjoy some well-earned alone time. Imagination first. Sleep second. Peace and quiet third. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/dad-s-bedtime-stories--6907147/support. [0:04] Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
[0:08] Speaker 1: I I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories,
[0:13] Speaker 1: the podcast that takes listener ideas and turns them into
[0:17] Speaker 1: bedtime stories. Tonight, we'll be headed back into the Spaceship
[0:21] Speaker 1: universe based on our suggestion for today. And if you've
[0:25] Speaker 1: never listened before, all you really need to know is
[0:29] Speaker 1: that you are the main character, and you have a
[0:32] Speaker 1: magical spaceship that can take you pretty much anywhere and
[0:36] Speaker 1: do pretty much anything. The possibilities are endless. Let's check
[0:41] Speaker 1: out the suggestion.
[0:43] Speaker 2: Hi, my name is Kiara, and I would like a
[0:46] Speaker 2: story about an animal creating planet where you choose any
[0:53] Speaker 2: animal and anything such as food, other animals, or even
[1:01] Speaker 2: just things around you like laptops or controllers, and it come.
[1:10] Speaker 2: Once you've chosen those two things, it combines them and
[1:14] Speaker 2: creates a whole new animal.
[1:17] Speaker 3: Thanks.
[1:17] Speaker 1: I love your podcasts, and thank you for the suggestion.
[1:21] Speaker 1: It took me a little while to get my head
[1:23] Speaker 1: around how this might be created, but eventually I decided
[1:28] Speaker 1: that this might be the kind of thing that other
[1:30] Speaker 1: people would want to make suggestions for. So if you
[1:34] Speaker 1: have a suggestion for the animal creation Planet, different animals
[1:38] Speaker 1: to combine or race or you know, fly around with
[1:42] Speaker 1: or whatever. You can write to me at dad Bedtime
[1:46] Speaker 1: Stories at gmail dot com, or you can leave me
[1:50] Speaker 1: a voice message on speak pipe. The link is in
[1:54] Speaker 1: the description, or you can fill out the Google form.
[1:58] Speaker 3: Before we get started, I just.
[2:00] Speaker 1: Want to give a big shout out to some of
[2:01] Speaker 1: my newest Patreon sponsors. As many of you know, this
[2:06] Speaker 1: podcast is funded in two ways. One through ads, which
[2:11] Speaker 1: aren't my favorite, but they do provide income for the
[2:13] Speaker 1: podcast and keep it going. And two from Patreon, where
[2:19] Speaker 1: patrons get ad free episodes and any bonus content I
[2:24] Speaker 1: put as soon as I record it. Thank you to
[2:29] Speaker 1: Chloe Body and Riven for sponsoring the podcast. I really
[2:35] Speaker 1: appreciate that, guys, and I really appreciate all of my
[2:40] Speaker 1: other sponsors and all of my listeners. For those of
[2:44] Speaker 1: you not on Patreon, thank you for helping fund the
[2:49] Speaker 1: podcast by dealing with the ads, which will go right here.
[2:54] Speaker 1: If you're not on Patreon, close your eyes, get as
[2:59] Speaker 1: come as you can in that bed, and imagine yourself
[3:03] Speaker 1: doing what the kid in the story does because you
[3:09] Speaker 1: are the main character here.
[3:12] Speaker 3: You wake up on your.
[3:13] Speaker 1: Spaceship and you get a out of bed, stretch your
[3:18] Speaker 1: arms and legs, and say good morning to spaceship. Good morning, spaceship,
[3:25] Speaker 1: Good morning, spaceship replies you walk out into the main area.
[3:31] Speaker 3: Of the ship.
[3:32] Speaker 1: So have we come across any cool planets to check
[3:37] Speaker 1: out or anything like that? You ask, as you usually
[3:41] Speaker 1: do in the morning. Yes, I have found many interesting planets.
[3:47] Speaker 1: The one I suggest we check out first, I have
[3:51] Speaker 1: titled the animal creation Planet. Animal creation Planet. Oh what
[3:58] Speaker 1: do you mean by that? Well, it seems to be
[4:03] Speaker 1: a new and interesting pastime on this planet to create
[4:08] Speaker 1: new and interesting animals. Ah, okay, that seems cool, I guess.
[4:17] Speaker 2: Uh.
[4:17] Speaker 1: Set a course. Spaceship sets a course for the planet.
[4:23] Speaker 1: The ship turns slightly to the left and downward a
[4:27] Speaker 1: bit and blasts off at super hyper drive, taking you
[4:32] Speaker 1: through a sort of wormhole until it eventually stops in
[4:38] Speaker 1: front of a beautiful, blue, green, and white planet, one
[4:43] Speaker 1: that honestly looks a lot like Earth, only there's a
[4:48] Speaker 1: whole bunch of satellites around this one. You sit down
[4:53] Speaker 1: in the main control chair. Why are all these satellites here?
[4:58] Speaker 1: You ask this. This planet seems to be very technologically advanced,
[5:05] Speaker 1: don't worry. I have mapped the satellites and will avoid
[5:09] Speaker 1: them easily. Spaceship makes a couple turns and drops below
[5:16] Speaker 1: the field of satellites, through the atmosphere, through the clouds,
[5:23] Speaker 1: until you find yourself floating above the planet, where you
[5:29] Speaker 1: see a herd of deer with glowing crystal antlers racing
[5:35] Speaker 1: across the sky. What are those, you say, I believe
[5:43] Speaker 1: those may be some created animals or genetically enhanced animals.
[5:51] Speaker 1: My space probes were not particularly specific on the details.
[5:57] Speaker 1: You continue to fly over the planet. You see birds
[6:02] Speaker 1: with dolphin tails leaping in and out of the water.
[6:08] Speaker 1: You pass a group of people riding giant rabbit horses
[6:13] Speaker 1: across the plains, and besides you, you see someone riding
[6:19] Speaker 1: what looks like a cloud eagle, an eagle that's also
[6:26] Speaker 1: shaped like a cloud. My probes indicate that the epicenter
[6:31] Speaker 1: of activity is just ahead, and sure enough, you soon
[6:37] Speaker 1: see a lot of activity, the whole bunch of high
[6:43] Speaker 1: tech machines and a large circle surrounded by all kinds
[6:49] Speaker 1: of different animals well participating in different activities. There's one
[6:56] Speaker 1: area that looks like a battle arena, where strange and
[7:01] Speaker 1: unusual animals.
[7:02] Speaker 3: Are fighting each other.
[7:04] Speaker 1: Some kind of alligator bear is fighting off against a well,
[7:11] Speaker 1: a fox with nature powers or something like that. On
[7:16] Speaker 1: the other side is what looks like a high tech
[7:20] Speaker 1: race track where a whole bunch of super fast animals
[7:25] Speaker 1: are racing. And there's another arena where there seem to
[7:31] Speaker 1: be people putting on some sort of animal show, like
[7:35] Speaker 1: a beauty pageant for genetically engineered animals. Above you, there's
[7:42] Speaker 1: all sorts of animals flying through the sky. All kinds
[7:47] Speaker 1: of them have wings or well, flames shooting out of
[7:51] Speaker 1: their bottoms. Flying rabbits, flying turtles, flying horses, flying turtle bears. Honestly,
[8:03] Speaker 1: the creatures look so different and so strange that you
[8:06] Speaker 1: can't really identify them. And well, only some of them
[8:10] Speaker 1: are human looking animals from Earth, I mean, others are
[8:15] Speaker 1: completely alien and too strange to describe. Spaceship lands on
[8:21] Speaker 1: a little landing area just beside the circle of machines.
[8:27] Speaker 1: My probes indicate that the circle of machines is where
[8:32] Speaker 1: we should start investigating. The back hatch opens up, fresh
[8:39] Speaker 1: air spills in, and you walk out onto the planet
[8:44] Speaker 1: and over towards the circle of machines. As you approach
[8:50] Speaker 1: a strange, tall and sleek robot approaches you. Welcome visitor,
[8:58] Speaker 1: says the robot. Do you require assistance with animal creation
[9:04] Speaker 1: or combination? Perhaps you need an animal or object supplied
[9:10] Speaker 1: from our replicators. We can provide almost anything you need,
[9:16] Speaker 1: as long as it is legal, safe, and not deemed
[9:20] Speaker 1: too annoying. H we're not really from this planet. You
[9:27] Speaker 1: explain what exactly is going on here? The robot suddenly
[9:33] Speaker 1: looks excited. Ah, first time guests, That is wonderful. This
[9:41] Speaker 1: is the animal creation planet. For many years, our robots
[9:47] Speaker 1: and automated systems have handled most jobs food, building, cleaning, repairs,
[9:55] Speaker 1: sorting socks, folding towels, remembering birthdays, knowing all important information.
[10:04] Speaker 1: Uh okay, well that sounds pretty cool. It was, says
[10:09] Speaker 1: the robot. But then people had a new problem. They
[10:14] Speaker 1: had too much free time and too little to do.
[10:19] Speaker 3: You nod.
[10:21] Speaker 1: I see. So the people here invented hobbies, many hobbies, painting,
[10:29] Speaker 1: racing boats, competitive, stacking of different objects, But most popular
[10:36] Speaker 1: was the hobby of animal creation. The robot points towards
[10:42] Speaker 1: the center, where there's a whole bunch of huge machines.
[10:46] Speaker 1: Each machine has two side chambers and one larger chamber
[10:51] Speaker 1: in the middle. Some have animals on one side and
[10:55] Speaker 1: objects on the other. Some have two animals. Some have
[11:00] Speaker 1: glowing containers marked with an element fire, ice, wind, water, nature, dirt, lightning, shadow,
[11:10] Speaker 1: that sort of thing. The machines can combine animals with
[11:16] Speaker 1: other animals, objects, elements, or special materials. The computer studies
[11:24] Speaker 1: both things and creates the best possible living combination. Some
[11:29] Speaker 1: people make pets, some make racers, some make show animals.
[11:36] Speaker 1: Some create animals for battle, others create animals for transportation.
[11:43] Speaker 3: You glance at a.
[11:45] Speaker 1: Nearby arena where a lizard made partly of lava is
[11:50] Speaker 1: being given a drink from some sort of bottle of fire.
[11:56] Speaker 1: Does it hurt them?
[11:58] Speaker 3: You ask?
[12:00] Speaker 1: The robot shakes its head. No, The process is completely painless.
[12:06] Speaker 1: Most animals enjoy their new forms, their minds stay comfortable,
[12:12] Speaker 1: and the computer only allows combinations that will be healthy.
[12:17] Speaker 1: If a creature dislikes its new form, we return it
[12:22] Speaker 1: to normal. Would you like to try, asks the robot.
[12:28] Speaker 1: There are races, beauty shows, flying contests, swimming contests, and
[12:35] Speaker 1: battled tournaments throughout the day that you could participate in.
[12:40] Speaker 1: You look across the plaza where some sort of very
[12:44] Speaker 1: fast looking animal that seems to be made of lightning
[12:47] Speaker 1: blasts across a track so fast that you can't even
[12:51] Speaker 1: see it. Well, the land race looks cool, you say,
[12:57] Speaker 1: any chance you have a cheetah interesting not currently in storage. However,
[13:05] Speaker 1: if you can provide a DNA sample, we can safely
[13:09] Speaker 1: replicate one. Spaceship's voice comes clearly through your watch. I
[13:17] Speaker 1: have extensive biological archives, he says, cheetah. DNA sample transferring.
[13:25] Speaker 1: Now excellent, says the other robot. A nearby replicator hums
[13:32] Speaker 1: to life. Light gathers inside it, spinning faster and faster,
[13:38] Speaker 1: and a moment later, a fully grown cheetah steps out.
[13:44] Speaker 1: It's absolutely beautiful, sleek, golden, covered in spots, extremely cheatah
[13:51] Speaker 1: like the robot scans it very good. I believe this
[13:57] Speaker 1: animal is comfortable, healthy, calm, and ready for optional combination.
[14:04] Speaker 1: Now what would you like to combine with it? You
[14:08] Speaker 1: think about all of the fun things you could put
[14:11] Speaker 1: on a cheetah to make it faster, rockets, roller skates, lightning,
[14:18] Speaker 1: maybe a genant spring, so who could like bounce around
[14:20] Speaker 1: and stuff like that, And then it hits you. Do
[14:26] Speaker 1: you have a Formula one race car? You ask hmm,
[14:32] Speaker 1: not at the moment, Please provide the schematics for Formula
[14:38] Speaker 1: one race car transferring schematics. Now, spaceship says ah, I
[14:45] Speaker 1: see printing. Now the replicator hums to life again, and
[14:52] Speaker 1: this time the energy combines into a yeah, well, a
[14:56] Speaker 1: full sized Formula one race car. Let us prepare for combination.
[15:04] Speaker 1: A single robot walks over and puts a leash around
[15:08] Speaker 1: the cheetah, leading it over into the chamber. On the left,
[15:13] Speaker 1: a team of small flying robots pick up the Formula
[15:17] Speaker 1: one car and fly it into the chamber. On the right,
[15:22] Speaker 1: the machine powers up. Would you like to press the
[15:27] Speaker 1: combined button? The robot asks, of course, I would you say?
[15:35] Speaker 1: You step forward, press the big button, and everything starts
[15:40] Speaker 1: to glow. The cheetah glows in one chamber, the race
[15:45] Speaker 1: card glows in the other chamber. Then both shapes start
[15:49] Speaker 1: to dissolve into pure energy, swirling around in front of you.
[15:55] Speaker 1: The energy streams into the center chamber, twists together, and
[16:01] Speaker 1: well begins to combine. When the light fades, the creature
[16:08] Speaker 1: in the middle of the chamber looks like a cheetah
[16:11] Speaker 1: from the future. Its body is still, you know, spotted
[16:15] Speaker 1: and cheetah like, but it has thin racing stripes along
[16:20] Speaker 1: its side. Its legs look powerful and partially metallic, with
[16:26] Speaker 1: smooth metal joints that gleam in the sun. Its eyes
[16:30] Speaker 1: shine like headlights. The door opens up and the Cheetah
[16:37] Speaker 1: race car steps out. For a second, it walks like
[16:41] Speaker 1: a normal cheetah. Then its legs fold and shift wheels
[16:46] Speaker 1: slide out from its paws, Its body lowers slightly, and
[16:51] Speaker 1: its tail sort of transforms into a tiny little spoiler
[16:55] Speaker 1: on its back.
[16:57] Speaker 3: Whoa, you say.
[17:01] Speaker 1: The cheetah car purrs, which you honestly can't tell if
[17:06] Speaker 1: it's an engine or the cheetah purring, but it sounds
[17:10] Speaker 1: pretty cool successful combination. Would you like to register in
[17:16] Speaker 1: a land race? I guess so. I mean, I don't
[17:22] Speaker 1: see why not. You climb on top of the Cheetah
[17:27] Speaker 1: and put your hands on a set of handlebars that
[17:32] Speaker 1: are there for some reason. You drive the Cheetah over
[17:36] Speaker 1: to the racetrack area, and some other robots wave you in.
[17:43] Speaker 1: You find yourself lined up beside a whole bunch of
[17:46] Speaker 1: other racers. One is sitting on a horse that looks
[17:51] Speaker 1: like it's mixed with a motorcycle. Another looks like a
[17:55] Speaker 1: kangaroo mixed with a pogo stick, which you can't help
[17:59] Speaker 1: it is probably only a small improvement from an actual kangaroo.
[18:04] Speaker 1: There's a kid on a rhino with roller blades and
[18:07] Speaker 1: a rockets strapped to its back, and a squirrel that
[18:12] Speaker 1: looks like it's mixed with a monster truck or something
[18:15] Speaker 1: like that. A floating drone announcer buzzes overhead, rain stars Ready, three, two,
[18:25] Speaker 1: one go, The race explodes forward. You give the cheeta
[18:32] Speaker 1: a little kick. There are no petals anywhere, and it
[18:37] Speaker 1: blasts forward. It starts running on its legs, sprinting with
[18:43] Speaker 1: incredible power. You feel each stride like a drum beat
[18:48] Speaker 1: wind rushing against your face. You're amazed at how quickly
[18:52] Speaker 1: its legs can move on their own. Then it transforms.
[18:58] Speaker 1: Its legs transform into wheels. It ducts down towards the ground.
[19:04] Speaker 1: Its tail becomes a spoiler, and it blasts even faster
[19:10] Speaker 1: down the little track. The track curves sharply. The motorcycle
[19:16] Speaker 1: horse slows to turn, but your cheat, a race car,
[19:20] Speaker 1: just digs its wheels in and makes the curve perfectly
[19:24] Speaker 1: without even slowing down.
[19:27] Speaker 3: The pogo kangaroo.
[19:29] Speaker 1: Well, it doesn't even have a chance of keeping up.
[19:32] Speaker 1: It's still it's way behind you. You're honestly not sure
[19:36] Speaker 1: why somebody thought that that would be a particularly fast vehicle,
[19:39] Speaker 1: but it clearly is not. In fact, you easily pull
[19:44] Speaker 1: ahead of all of the other vehicles. The only thing
[19:48] Speaker 1: that seems to be able to keep up with you
[19:50] Speaker 1: is the Rocket Rhino on roller skates. You and the
[19:55] Speaker 1: Rocket Rhino face each other head to head as you
[19:58] Speaker 1: turn to the left, turn to the right, and head
[20:02] Speaker 1: into the straightaway. The blaster on the back of the
[20:07] Speaker 1: Rhino lights up and he blasts forward in front of you.
[20:11] Speaker 1: Come on, Cheetah, we can't let that happen. The Cheetah
[20:16] Speaker 1: nods and understanding focuses, and its tires spin even faster.
[20:23] Speaker 1: You slowly gain ground on the Rocket Rhino as you
[20:28] Speaker 1: approach the finish line, and you pull slightly ahead, just
[20:34] Speaker 1: in time to be announced the winner a crowd of robots,
[20:41] Speaker 1: strange looking racing animals, and well humans who have created them.
[20:46] Speaker 1: I'll clap for you. At the finish line, the Cheetah's
[20:50] Speaker 1: legs reform from the wheels and you trot back over
[20:55] Speaker 1: to the combination machine. That was pretty cool. What's next?
[21:02] Speaker 1: You ask, perhaps you would like to combine something else.
[21:08] Speaker 1: The robot says, yeah, well, honestly, I'm feeling kind of hungry,
[21:14] Speaker 1: so maybe we should have lunch first. Well, we may
[21:19] Speaker 1: be able to help with that as well. We have
[21:23] Speaker 1: many animal combinations that can create food. You have animals
[21:30] Speaker 1: that can create food, you ask, Of course, combining animals
[21:36] Speaker 1: with food related products is a favorite pastime of people
[21:40] Speaker 1: on this planet. Okay, well, then I guess the question
[21:47] Speaker 1: is what kind of food do I want? And what
[21:52] Speaker 1: kind of animal do I want to give it to me?
[21:56] Speaker 1: You think for a second and you realize that the
[21:59] Speaker 1: answer is absolutely clear. You want ice cream. Then you
[22:06] Speaker 1: start to think of what would go well with ice cream?
[22:09] Speaker 1: What kind of animal would you want to give you
[22:12] Speaker 1: ice cream? What kind of animal would you know naturally
[22:16] Speaker 1: enjoy ice cream? And the answer is obvious, a polar bear.
[22:24] Speaker 1: I'd like to combine an ice cream machine with a
[22:27] Speaker 1: polar bear spaceship. Transfer the DNA samples, and you know,
[22:33] Speaker 1: some schematics for a soft served ice cream machine with
[22:38] Speaker 1: all sorts of different flavors understood. Transferring DNA and schematics.
[22:46] Speaker 1: Now schematics received replicating polar bear. The replicator lights up
[22:55] Speaker 1: and a polar bear swirls to life again. A little
[23:01] Speaker 1: helper robot walks over, places a collar with a leash
[23:05] Speaker 1: around its neck, and well kind of gestures for the
[23:10] Speaker 1: polar bear to follow, which, strangely it does. Polar bears
[23:15] Speaker 1: aren't particularly tame animals. In fact, they're wildly dangerous animals,
[23:20] Speaker 1: so you're surprised with how easily it follows orders. Next,
[23:27] Speaker 1: the ice cream machine comes to life in the replicator.
[23:31] Speaker 1: A team of little robots picks it up and puts
[23:35] Speaker 1: it in the chamber on the other side. You step
[23:39] Speaker 1: up to the giant combined button, press it, and once again,
[23:45] Speaker 1: both sides of the chamber light up with energy. They
[23:50] Speaker 1: swirl together into the larger chamber and well. A moment later,
[23:57] Speaker 1: a new creature is standing there. It still looks mostly
[24:02] Speaker 1: like a polar bear, soft, huge, and strangely friendly looking
[24:07] Speaker 1: for such a deadly creature, but now it has bell
[24:12] Speaker 1: a soft serve ice cream dispenser built into its belly
[24:17] Speaker 1: like a serving station. On one side of its stomach
[24:21] Speaker 1: is a cone holder, and in the other are a
[24:24] Speaker 1: whole bunch of different flavor buttons with a little nozzle
[24:28] Speaker 1: in the middle. The bear looks down at itself, then
[24:33] Speaker 1: it looks at you. It picks up a cone, places
[24:37] Speaker 1: it in the center of its belly, and presses go
[24:43] Speaker 1: soft serve ice cream starts to spill out. It turns
[24:48] Speaker 1: the cone around in a little circle, creating the perfect
[24:52] Speaker 1: layer of soft serve ice cream, and then it sits
[24:57] Speaker 1: down on the ground and begins to eat.
[25:02] Speaker 3: Can I have one? You ask?
[25:05] Speaker 1: The polar bear, looking rather unimpressed, eats the rest of
[25:09] Speaker 1: its ice cream cone in one gulp. It walks out
[25:13] Speaker 1: of the chamber over it towards you and sits down
[25:17] Speaker 1: on its bum. It grabs a little cone, presses the
[25:21] Speaker 1: button on the dispenser, and creates a multi flavor cone
[25:26] Speaker 1: for you in a perfect little swirl. It hands it
[25:30] Speaker 1: to you. You take a hold, and you take a bite.
[25:36] Speaker 1: It's cold, sweet, ice creamy and delicious. This is actually
[25:44] Speaker 1: really good. Honestly, I thought this idea would turn out horribly,
[25:48] Speaker 1: but wow, can we keep.
[25:51] Speaker 3: This ice cream bear? You ask? I will think about it,
[25:56] Speaker 3: Spaceship says.
[25:58] Speaker 2: You.
[25:58] Speaker 1: Take a moment two finish the ice cream, all the
[26:02] Speaker 1: while thinking about what you want to make next. I
[26:07] Speaker 1: think I want to make something I can ride in
[26:09] Speaker 1: the air. You say, good idea. A flying mount is
[26:15] Speaker 1: a popular thing to combine. What would you like to
[26:19] Speaker 1: make for the animal combination? You think about it, You
[26:25] Speaker 1: think about mythical creatures, and you eventually land on the answer.
[26:32] Speaker 1: A lion and a hawk transferring DNA samples.
[26:38] Speaker 3: Now.
[26:40] Speaker 1: Immediately, the replicator lights up with two glowing objects. A
[26:47] Speaker 1: lion appears on one side and a hawk on the other. Again,
[26:54] Speaker 1: the helper robots move over, put little leashes around the
[26:58] Speaker 1: creatures and guide them into different parts of the chamber.
[27:05] Speaker 1: You press the combined button and the two light up
[27:10] Speaker 1: and transform into energy once again. The energy shoots together
[27:15] Speaker 1: in the central chamber and forms itself into exactly what
[27:22] Speaker 1: you imagined, essentially a giant griffin with huge hawk wings.
[27:30] Speaker 1: The griffin steps out of the chamber and lowers its head.
[27:35] Speaker 1: You slowly move closer and pet it on the side. Uh,
[27:41] Speaker 1: any chance I can go for a ride? You ask?
[27:45] Speaker 1: The griffin agrees. It bends down, allowing you to climb
[27:50] Speaker 1: on its back. Then it begins to run. You hold
[27:55] Speaker 1: on to its furry feathers around its neck and seem
[28:00] Speaker 1: to mind. It jumps into the air, spreads its wings,
[28:05] Speaker 1: and begins to flap them As it flies higher and
[28:08] Speaker 1: higher and higher. You soon find yourself high above the planet,
[28:16] Speaker 1: the wind against your face, the sun against your skin.
[28:21] Speaker 1: It's incredible and relaxing to fly around on something like this.
[28:28] Speaker 1: Below you, you see a crowd gathered inside a massive
[28:32] Speaker 1: arena where a bear covered in vines and leaves looks
[28:38] Speaker 1: like it's fighting some sort of ice fox. The bear
[28:43] Speaker 1: is using vines to shoot out and wrap around the creature,
[28:47] Speaker 1: while the ice fox is sending frozen spikes of ice
[28:51] Speaker 1: across the ground and through the air that looks intense.
[28:58] Speaker 1: You land beside the helper robot. Any chance I can
[29:03] Speaker 1: combine something and fight.
[29:05] Speaker 3: In the arena, you ask? Of course?
[29:09] Speaker 1: Can I combine the griffin again? You ask?
[29:14] Speaker 3: Certainly?
[29:15] Speaker 1: Layered combinations are allowed if the creature remains healthy and comfortable.
[29:21] Speaker 1: The griffin lifts its head watching you. How about fire,
[29:28] Speaker 1: you ask. The griffin nods in agreement. Very good, we
[29:35] Speaker 1: will combine the griffin with the element of fire. Please
[29:39] Speaker 1: lead the griffin into the chamber on the left. You
[29:44] Speaker 1: lead the griffin into the chamber on the left as
[29:47] Speaker 1: another robot places a little container full of well fire
[29:53] Speaker 1: on the other side al Anyboddy, you ask, the griffin nods.
[30:00] Speaker 1: You press the combined button, and immediately the griffin lights
[30:06] Speaker 1: up and transforms into energy, as does the fire Again,
[30:12] Speaker 1: the two of them combine into a stream of energy
[30:16] Speaker 1: and form themselves into something new in the other chamber.
[30:21] Speaker 1: Before long, the fire Griffin solidifies. Its feathers now glow
[30:29] Speaker 1: on the tips like embers. It's lion main flickers with
[30:35] Speaker 1: well some kind of flame as well. Lines of fire
[30:39] Speaker 1: run along its wings, and its talons shine as if
[30:44] Speaker 1: they're peated or something. It doesn't look as fun to
[30:47] Speaker 1: ride anymore. It looks like it'll feel kind of well
[30:51] Speaker 1: burnie if you do, but it does look like it
[30:55] Speaker 1: could take bart in the battle arena. Ready for battle,
[31:01] Speaker 1: you ask, yes, I have put you on the docket
[31:04] Speaker 1: to perform. Next, you walk over to the battle arena
[31:10] Speaker 1: with the griffin helper. Robots allow you inside and bring
[31:15] Speaker 1: you over to the side of the arena itself. Aren't
[31:20] Speaker 1: you ready? The person asks. The door opens and the
[31:25] Speaker 1: Griffin steps inside. A door on the other side opens,
[31:31] Speaker 1: and the same nature bear that was taking on the
[31:35] Speaker 1: fox steps out. Battle begins in three two one. The
[31:43] Speaker 1: nature bear attacks first. It slams both paws into the ground.
[31:49] Speaker 1: Roots burst outward and try to wrap around the griffin.
[31:54] Speaker 1: The fire Griffin leaps into the air. Flames blast from
[31:58] Speaker 1: its wings, giving out extra lift and allowing it to
[32:02] Speaker 1: sort of float instead of needing to flap its arms.
[32:06] Speaker 1: The roots snap together beneath it, narrowly missing fire burst.
[32:12] Speaker 1: You call not really sure what to call the Griffin's
[32:16] Speaker 1: attacks or exactly what it can do, but the griffin
[32:19] Speaker 1: seems to understand. It dives and sends a stream of
[32:24] Speaker 1: flame across the ground in front of the bear. The
[32:27] Speaker 1: fire doesn't seem to hurt the arena floor, but it
[32:31] Speaker 1: burns through the vines the bears controlling the bear growls
[32:36] Speaker 1: and stops again. This time, full trees shoot up from
[32:41] Speaker 1: the ground, forming themselves into a cage around the griffin.
[32:47] Speaker 1: The griffin lights up with white hot flame, and the
[32:52] Speaker 1: branches begin to sizzle, burn, and then pull away again.
[32:58] Speaker 1: The griffin lands and the round in front.
[33:01] Speaker 3: Of the bear.
[33:02] Speaker 1: It takes in a deep breath and breathes out a
[33:05] Speaker 1: plume of fire. The fire hits the bear sends it
[33:09] Speaker 1: flying backwards into the wall, where it raises its hand,
[33:16] Speaker 1: indicating that it gives up.
[33:19] Speaker 3: It doesn't seem.
[33:20] Speaker 1: Too hurt, but it clearly wasn't sure what to do
[33:24] Speaker 1: with its nature powers versus this fire element. Obviously, fire
[33:29] Speaker 1: would be stronger in a battle like this. The griffin
[33:33] Speaker 1: walks over to the side, where you carefully pat it
[33:37] Speaker 1: on the side of the head, not wanting to burn
[33:40] Speaker 1: yourself or anything. To your surprise, it doesn't even really
[33:45] Speaker 1: seem warm. Your hands are unbothered by the fire. Interesting,
[33:52] Speaker 1: you say. You lead the griffin back out of the
[33:55] Speaker 1: arena and over to the central machines. Did you enjoy
[34:01] Speaker 1: your battle? Yeah? I mean I could see doing that again.
[34:07] Speaker 1: Coming up with different combinations of animals to fight against
[34:12] Speaker 1: each other seems like a great idea for another adventure.
[34:16] Speaker 1: But right now I'm feeling kind of tired. Honestly, I
[34:21] Speaker 1: don't think I have room for a fire griffin. Is
[34:24] Speaker 1: there somewhere it can hang out on this planet? Yes,
[34:29] Speaker 1: we have a sanctuary for such animals. Please leave it
[34:34] Speaker 1: with me. It will be quite happy, I promise. You
[34:39] Speaker 1: hand the reins over to the robot and you once
[34:43] Speaker 1: again pet the griffin on the side. All right, buddy, Well,
[34:48] Speaker 1: maybe we'll come back and visit or try another animal
[34:52] Speaker 1: creation combination, race or battle or something like that in
[34:56] Speaker 1: the future. You turn around and walk back to the spaceship.
[35:02] Speaker 1: You climb aboard, the door closes, and you laid down
[35:07] Speaker 1: on the couch. You place your head on the pillow
[35:12] Speaker 1: at one end. The lights dim all around you, and
[35:18] Speaker 1: you start to simply focus on your breath, noticing as
[35:23] Speaker 1: your stomach rises and falls, and with each breath you
[35:30] Speaker 1: release a little more tension from your body, letting your
[35:35] Speaker 1: arms relax and sink down into the couch, letting your
[35:41] Speaker 1: shoulders drop down, your legs melt, and your eyes close.
[35:52] Speaker 1: With each breath, you sink down deeper and deeper, and
[35:58] Speaker 1: the deeper you sink, theter you feel, and the better
[36:02] Speaker 1: you feel. The deeper you sink, until you feel as
[36:08] Speaker 1: if you're floating on a cloud, and your mind begins
[36:12] Speaker 1: to wander off to thoughts of new dreams and new
[36:18] Speaker 1: adventures to come. Good night, everyone in.
[39:25] Speaker 4: New York. No more.
[41:48] Speaker 1: N no Thing, no.
[44:27] Speaker 4: More nan Union, no music game,
