I originally created these stories for my own children on nights when they couldn’t fall asleep. What started as a simple bedtime ritual has grown into a world of imagination designed to help families wind down together at the end of the day. Play an episode for your kids and encourage them to imagine they are the hero of the story — exploring distant planets, training dragons, discovering magic, or traveling through space — all while lying safely in bed with their eyes closed. Each 15–30 minute adventure is filled with science fiction and fantasy themes kids love: spaceships, dinosaurs, dragons, wizards, and whatever wild idea we dream up next. The stories are exciting, creative, and always safe for young listeners. When the adventure ends, the episode gently transitions into calming music to reduce distractions and help your child drift off to sleep — giving you a quiet moment to step out of the room and enjoy some well-earned alone time. Imagination first. Sleep second. Peace and quiet third. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/dad-s-bedtime-stories--6907147/support. [0:05] Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation, around the world. My
[0:09] Speaker 1: Martin and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories, the
[0:14] Speaker 1: podcast that takes listener ideas, mixes them with my own
[0:19] Speaker 1: ben turns them into bedtime Stories. Tonight, I'm super tired again,
[0:24] Speaker 1: really really tired. But if you guys want to know
[0:28] Speaker 1: the secret to getting things done even when you're tired,
[0:32] Speaker 1: it just start them. I sat down here in front
[0:36] Speaker 1: of my computer, put on my headphones, pulled my microphone over,
[0:42] Speaker 1: and now I am very likely to finish a story.
[0:45] Speaker 1: If you're hearing this, I probably succeeded tonight. I was
[0:50] Speaker 1: feeling like heading back into wizard Craft three point zero,
[0:55] Speaker 1: so I checked through the voicemail and I found that
[0:57] Speaker 1: I have quite a few suggestions for it. So let's
[1:01] Speaker 1: check out the one that I think I'm going with today.
[1:04] Speaker 2: Hello, Dad's bed Time Stories. I'm James from Westminster, Colorado,
[1:09] Speaker 2: and I had a story suggestion for the cart was
[1:13] Speaker 2: there draft three point zero series, and I was wondering
[1:18] Speaker 2: that if you could teach Gus the rock golum and
[1:23] Speaker 2: copper golum spell to help get your village started even quicker,
[1:28] Speaker 2: and you go, you leave the village for a while
[1:33] Speaker 2: to do some exploration around your surround about your surroundings,
[1:38] Speaker 2: and you find a camp and there's blue and green banners,
[1:47] Speaker 2: and there's people in prisons in cages, and you find
[1:54] Speaker 2: out that there's a new bad guy in this series,
[1:59] Speaker 2: and you try and you try to free the villagers,
[2:04] Speaker 2: but there's a few iron goloms around it protecting them.
[2:09] Speaker 2: So you try and free the villagers and bring them
[2:12] Speaker 2: back to your village.
[2:14] Speaker 3: Thanks.
[2:14] Speaker 2: I love your podcast.
[2:16] Speaker 1: Great idea, James, And part of the reason I picked
[2:19] Speaker 1: that is because it just kind of fits in with
[2:21] Speaker 1: the series right now. I was going to head back
[2:24] Speaker 1: into the Iron Minds, which I'm probably gonna do next
[2:28] Speaker 1: just as a heads up. So if you have an
[2:29] Speaker 1: idea for what happens in those Iron Minds, like spells,
[2:34] Speaker 1: you find enemies, you find that sort of thing, well,
[2:39] Speaker 1: it would be a really good time to leave them
[2:41] Speaker 1: for me, probably before next week. Anyways. I liked james
[2:46] Speaker 1: idea because it kind of follows the plot that we've
[2:48] Speaker 1: already gone with. We do need some new villagers, and
[2:52] Speaker 1: we probably need some sort of bad guy for the
[2:55] Speaker 1: whole thing, So why not a blue and green bannered one?
[2:59] Speaker 1: If you like the podcast, don't forget to rate, us,
[3:02] Speaker 1: review us, comment, whatever you can do wherever it is
[3:06] Speaker 1: you're listening. This thing goes out on pretty much everything
[3:09] Speaker 1: you can find it pretty much everywhere, so it's kind
[3:11] Speaker 1: of hard to tell you exactly what you can or
[3:13] Speaker 1: can't do depending on where you're listening, So just do
[3:17] Speaker 1: what makes sense. And if you absolutely hate ads, well
[3:22] Speaker 1: there's an option for that too Patreon add free for
[3:25] Speaker 1: as little as one dollar per month, But I won't
[3:30] Speaker 1: really talk about that right now. I'm going to get
[3:31] Speaker 1: to this possible ad from a possible sponsor, and then
[3:35] Speaker 1: an AD free story following. Time to get as comfy
[3:40] Speaker 1: as you can in that bed, close your eyes and
[3:44] Speaker 1: imagine yourself doing what the kid in the story does.
[3:50] Speaker 1: You wake up to floating words, floating words that say
[3:56] Speaker 1: wake up with a question mark, may mentally select yes,
[4:02] Speaker 1: and the world comes back into view. Congratulations. Character progress
[4:09] Speaker 1: summary available. Current player level level two. You have gained
[4:16] Speaker 1: one unused skill point. This skill point may be spent
[4:21] Speaker 1: to improve an existing skill, unlock a new ability, or
[4:26] Speaker 1: increase one of your core attributes. Choose wisely. Current skills
[4:33] Speaker 1: unlocked Lock picking level two Nijitsu Combat level two, current
[4:42] Speaker 1: spells unlocked Stone Golam spell, Fireball spell level two, Copper
[4:51] Speaker 1: Golam spell. Would you like to use your skill point?
[4:57] Speaker 1: You look around the room. I guess so. Immediately, screens
[5:04] Speaker 1: appear in front of you, a whole bunch of different options.
[5:09] Speaker 1: Each one looks like a constellation of stars or something
[5:14] Speaker 1: like that. You start to mentally flip through the menu
[5:20] Speaker 1: past all the different star constellations until you come to
[5:25] Speaker 1: one that looks like a wizard, one you've chosen before,
[5:31] Speaker 1: and one you know you'll need. The wizard tree. The
[5:37] Speaker 1: first skill on the thing is Novice Wizard. Novice spells
[5:44] Speaker 1: cost half as much mona to cast. You mentally focus
[5:49] Speaker 1: on the skill, select it, and accept congratulations. You have
[5:57] Speaker 1: unlocked Novice Wizard. Novice spells now cost half as much
[6:03] Speaker 1: to cast, perfect, you say, releasing the menus from around
[6:09] Speaker 1: you and heading out the front door. You immediately enter
[6:14] Speaker 1: into your well fairly abandoned and fairly broken down village.
[6:21] Speaker 1: You see chests sitting in the middle, chests that you
[6:25] Speaker 1: well directed Rocky in one and Rocky two to put
[6:29] Speaker 1: all of the materials they find into, and you see
[6:34] Speaker 1: another person, Gus, the mining supervisor, from the old village.
[6:42] Speaker 1: Good morning, Gus, You say, Good morning, Gus, answers, this
[6:50] Speaker 1: place certainly is more run down than I remember.
[6:54] Speaker 4: Oh, who do you think about fixing it up a bit?
[7:00] Speaker 1: He says, Well, that's probably a good idea, you answer,
[7:05] Speaker 1: and we have all sorts of materials to do it with.
[7:11] Speaker 1: You left five chests in the middle of the village,
[7:15] Speaker 1: one for wood, one for stone, one for precious materials,
[7:20] Speaker 1: and another two to figure out later. You check each
[7:25] Speaker 1: one and see that they're actually pretty full of all
[7:29] Speaker 1: sorts of things. Even without using a crafting table. These
[7:34] Speaker 1: materials should be enough to make all sorts of improvements
[7:39] Speaker 1: to the village. You focus on one of the buildings
[7:43] Speaker 1: across the alley. You imagine the broken pieces being back
[7:49] Speaker 1: in place, and slowly a ghost like structure appears around
[7:57] Speaker 1: the thing, an indication of what could be if you
[8:02] Speaker 1: put your thoughts into practice. You reach one hand down
[8:07] Speaker 1: to the chest of materials and will them forward into place. Immediately,
[8:15] Speaker 1: the materials fly out of the chests and well find
[8:20] Speaker 1: their way to the perfect place on the broken shop.
[8:26] Speaker 1: Would pieces fill in the doors, stone pieces fill in
[8:31] Speaker 1: the outlines, and by the time you're done, the shop
[8:36] Speaker 1: almost looks like new Ah.
[8:40] Speaker 4: Very good. Now, if only we had some of those
[8:46] Speaker 4: copper golams to do the work. Those things love improving stuff.
[8:53] Speaker 4: Huh really, you say, Oh, yes, copper golams prefer to
[9:00] Speaker 4: be billed as gatherers, miners, that sort of thing, unlike
[9:07] Speaker 4: your typical goalms, which prefer.
[9:10] Speaker 1: Combat and such. Interesting. Well, I actually do have a
[9:16] Speaker 1: copper goal on who's currently mining right now. Come to
[9:21] Speaker 1: think of it, he's probably found all sorts of copper.
[9:25] Speaker 1: Rocky one, Rocky two. Go get the copper golum you
[9:30] Speaker 1: order and tell him to bring out the materials he's gathered. Understood,
[9:38] Speaker 1: Rocky one and Rocky two answer immediately. They transform into
[9:43] Speaker 1: little boulders and roll themselves up the staircase to the
[9:48] Speaker 1: top of the mines. Gus Man was thinking.
[9:54] Speaker 4: Oh were you?
[9:56] Speaker 1: Well, don't think too hot on my account, gus says, Okay, anyways,
[10:05] Speaker 1: last time I was in a world like this, or
[10:10] Speaker 1: you know, a village or whatever, I was successful because
[10:15] Speaker 1: I shared my power. Are you someone who'd be open
[10:20] Speaker 1: to that sort of thing? Shared your power? What are
[10:27] Speaker 1: you talking about? Gus asks, Well, I've sort of developed
[10:34] Speaker 1: a couple new spells most importantly, a stone goldam spell
[10:40] Speaker 1: and a copper goldam spell. Each of those can only
[10:45] Speaker 1: be used once a day by each person. So I'm thinking,
[10:51] Speaker 1: if we want to build this village up quickly, the
[10:55] Speaker 1: best way to do that is for there to be
[10:58] Speaker 1: more people who can make golams. And you are the
[11:03] Speaker 1: only people I have around.
[11:07] Speaker 4: Ah oh, So you're saying that you want to give
[11:13] Speaker 4: me spells, eh, spells to make copper gollams and.
[11:23] Speaker 1: H stone golams. Huh yeah, pretty much, you answer.
[11:30] Speaker 4: I I've never been so blessed in my life.
[11:36] Speaker 1: Gus says, bowing down on the ground in front of you.
[11:40] Speaker 1: I would be forever grateful if you would even impart
[11:46] Speaker 1: a single one of those spells on this poor poor minekeeper. Uh, Gus,
[11:56] Speaker 1: you can get up. Ah oh. I see Gus gets
[12:02] Speaker 1: up off of the ground and brushes the dust off
[12:05] Speaker 1: of his legs. Now, all you really need to do
[12:09] Speaker 1: is stand there and try your best to absorb the information.
[12:14] Speaker 1: I'm gonna be sharing my memories with you. Uh okay,
[12:20] Speaker 1: Gus says. You reach out to Gus and place a
[12:24] Speaker 1: hand on each of his temples. Then you start to remember,
[12:31] Speaker 1: remember the ways of stone, the ways of ordering the
[12:37] Speaker 1: stone into a nice little goldam, formation of commanding the
[12:42] Speaker 1: stone to come to life. And soon the memories take over,
[12:48] Speaker 1: flashing through your mind just as they did when you
[12:53] Speaker 1: first read the Stone Golum spell book, and making their
[12:58] Speaker 1: way directly the end and gusses his eyes widen as
[13:03] Speaker 1: he processes all of the information. By the time the
[13:08] Speaker 1: memories stop, he just stands there in shock.
[13:14] Speaker 4: Hi, Hi, I can make a stone cool them. Congratulations,
[13:27] Speaker 4: you have successfully taught a spell to another experience awarded well,
[13:36] Speaker 4: Ready to give it a shot, you say, as you
[13:40] Speaker 4: bend down and open up the stone chest, I suppose,
[13:48] Speaker 4: Gus says.
[13:51] Speaker 1: He closes his eyes and begins to wave his hands
[13:54] Speaker 1: around in the air. They light up with a blue
[13:59] Speaker 1: sort of mas Gus reaches toward the chest and summons
[14:05] Speaker 1: a whole bunch of rock pieces out of the thing.
[14:10] Speaker 1: You watch as they twirl around in the air, form
[14:14] Speaker 1: themselves together in the form of a well rock golum,
[14:20] Speaker 1: and solidify into shape. Then Gus opens his eyes and
[14:26] Speaker 1: commands the rock Golam to come to life.
[14:31] Speaker 4: What are your orders?
[14:35] Speaker 1: The rock golum.
[14:37] Speaker 4: Says, I I did it. I created a rock golm
[14:47] Speaker 4: My parents are never going to believe this, partially because
[14:52] Speaker 4: I don't know where they are. But anyways, create job gus.
[14:59] Speaker 4: Now we can whip this guy with some tools and
[15:02] Speaker 4: put him to work. Just as you say that, Rocky
[15:07] Speaker 4: one and Rocky two return, followed by the little copper
[15:12] Speaker 4: Golum who's carrying a copper chest on his shoulder. He
[15:17] Speaker 4: places the copper down in front of you and walks.
[15:21] Speaker 1: Over toward you a little cold.
[15:25] Speaker 4: The Goldum says, ah, yeah, I did how much copper?
[15:33] Speaker 3: Did you find?
[15:34] Speaker 1: All all sorts of copper? Sull The copper Goldum says,
[15:42] Speaker 1: opening up the copper chest, it's fold the brim with
[15:47] Speaker 1: copper pieces, all right, Get those in the furnace as
[15:53] Speaker 1: quickly as you can. In fact, I think we need
[15:56] Speaker 1: to make more furnaces. You quickly gather a bunch of
[16:00] Speaker 1: stone from the stone chest, make your way over the
[16:03] Speaker 1: crafting table, flip through the menu until you find the
[16:07] Speaker 1: right option for some more furnaces, and hit go. The
[16:12] Speaker 1: stones fly out of your inventory into the crafting table
[16:17] Speaker 1: until three perfect little furnaces are floating in front of you.
[16:23] Speaker 1: You pick them up, place them on the ground beside
[16:26] Speaker 1: the others, and go and grab some wood. You fill
[16:31] Speaker 1: each one up with wood and place as much copper
[16:35] Speaker 1: inside as you possibly can. You hit start on all
[16:40] Speaker 1: four and before you know it, each one is slowly
[16:45] Speaker 1: creating copper ingots. You wait patiently for the first ingots
[16:50] Speaker 1: to be created and immediately absorb them into your inventory.
[16:56] Speaker 1: All right, gus, now it's time for well another copper golum,
[17:04] Speaker 1: you say. You summon the copper out of your inventory,
[17:10] Speaker 1: focus on the new power you learned, and your hands
[17:15] Speaker 1: begin to glow. You wave them through the air in
[17:20] Speaker 1: just the way you were taught by the spellbook. The
[17:24] Speaker 1: copper starts to float up in the air, spin around
[17:29] Speaker 1: in circles, and snap together into the shape of a
[17:34] Speaker 1: little copper golum. You open your eyes and command the
[17:39] Speaker 1: golam to come to life. What our lower orders, the
[17:46] Speaker 1: copper golum says. All right, perfect, you say. Then you
[17:54] Speaker 1: realize that you haven't created a stone golum today yet,
[17:59] Speaker 1: so you open up the stone chest, reach into your
[18:03] Speaker 1: monopool once again, and begin the creation of your once
[18:09] Speaker 1: daily stone golum.
[18:13] Speaker 4: What are your orders? The stone golum says, Ah, I'm
[18:19] Speaker 4: gonna call you Rocky number three, you say, or maybe
[18:26] Speaker 4: you should be number four and Gus's golum should be
[18:29] Speaker 4: number three.
[18:31] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's we'll go with that. You finally decide, Ah, Gus,
[18:38] Speaker 1: how do you feel about one more golum being created?
[18:43] Speaker 4: Well, I have already created the only goalum I can today, Unless,
[18:50] Speaker 4: of course, you're actually going to teach me the the
[18:54] Speaker 4: copper golam spell. That's exactly what I'm gonna do. You say,
[19:01] Speaker 4: you step up to Gus, place your hands on either
[19:05] Speaker 4: temple and focus your mind.
[19:08] Speaker 1: The memories of copper golum creation flash through your mind
[19:14] Speaker 1: and pass directly into Gusses once again, his eyes open
[19:20] Speaker 1: wide as he absorbs all of the information. When the
[19:24] Speaker 1: memories stop, Gus looks stunned for a moment.
[19:29] Speaker 4: I I believe I can create a copper golum.
[19:37] Speaker 1: He reaches into his monopool, begins waving his hands in
[19:42] Speaker 1: the air, and summons copper and gets directly out of
[19:47] Speaker 1: the furnace. They fly through the air, form themselves into
[19:52] Speaker 1: a little copper golum and solidify together, immediately coming to life.
[20:00] Speaker 1: While orders the village suddenly doesn't feel so lonely. Four
[20:08] Speaker 1: stone golams and three copper golams all ready to go.
[20:16] Speaker 1: All right, guys, well, I guess it's time to rebuild
[20:21] Speaker 1: copper golums. I'm told you're the experts on this sort
[20:24] Speaker 1: of thing, so uh well, you will be in charge
[20:28] Speaker 1: of gathering materials and rebuilding the village from now on,
[20:34] Speaker 1: while the stone golams will be in charge of defense.
[20:38] Speaker 1: Copper one, you say, looking towards your very first copper golum,
[20:45] Speaker 1: Your job is to delegate. You're gonna need to split
[20:49] Speaker 1: the time of the copper golams between mining for new
[20:52] Speaker 1: materials and rebuilding the village. I'll add more to your
[20:57] Speaker 1: fleet every day that I can understood. Odor Stalled, the
[21:04] Speaker 1: copper golum says, and then he bends down towards the
[21:08] Speaker 1: other golum, and the three of them start to chatter
[21:11] Speaker 1: together in an almost unrecognizable language that just sounds kind
[21:16] Speaker 1: of like clicking noises. Then one of them marches up
[21:21] Speaker 1: the stairs toward the mine, and the other over to
[21:24] Speaker 1: the chests to gather materials, presumably to fix the place up.
[21:31] Speaker 1: A rocky one. As the first golum I made out
[21:35] Speaker 1: of stone, you are hereby in charge of the others.
[21:40] Speaker 1: Your job is to well fortify the defenses around here.
[21:46] Speaker 1: Maybe start by building a large stone wall out of
[21:49] Speaker 1: all of the stone you've already collected, and well, if
[21:53] Speaker 1: you need more, collect more. I want you to survey
[21:57] Speaker 1: the surrounding area and let me know if there's any vulnerabilities. Understood,
[22:07] Speaker 1: Rocky says. The four Golams begin looking at each other,
[22:13] Speaker 1: and they too, start talking in some sort of unknown language.
[22:18] Speaker 1: Must be rock Goldam or something like that. Then the
[22:24] Speaker 1: four of them break and march in opposite directions to
[22:28] Speaker 1: guard and surround the village, presumably while working on that wall. Gus,
[22:36] Speaker 1: your job is to work on the food situation around here.
[22:40] Speaker 1: See if there's any farmland left and many crops you
[22:44] Speaker 1: can harvest, we can use those to start a new farm.
[22:49] Speaker 4: Understood, I believe I know where the fobs used to be.
[22:55] Speaker 1: Gus wanders off in the opposite direction, and you do
[23:00] Speaker 1: your part in improving the village, starting with your very
[23:05] Speaker 1: own house. It was feeling a little cramped after all.
[23:11] Speaker 1: You imagine an expansion on the side of it, something
[23:16] Speaker 1: that could open up your bedroom into sort of a
[23:19] Speaker 1: living room area. You picture it being made of wood
[23:24] Speaker 1: and stone, and soon that usual ghost like image appears
[23:31] Speaker 1: in front of you. You focus on drawing the materials
[23:36] Speaker 1: out of the chests and into the formation, and almost
[23:40] Speaker 1: like magic, they begin to appear, the bottom stones first,
[23:45] Speaker 1: followed by the middle, followed by the top, and ending
[23:49] Speaker 1: with the ceiling. Soon your house is looking much larger
[23:55] Speaker 1: than it was before. And then something in your chest
[24:01] Speaker 1: feels different, as if as if you just lost something
[24:09] Speaker 1: very important, something that was connected to you. But now
[24:15] Speaker 1: isn't Rocky Rocky four, you say. Gus wanders back carrying
[24:26] Speaker 1: a sack of potatoes.
[24:28] Speaker 4: Eh, I found some potatoes. What's wrong with you? You look
[24:34] Speaker 4: like you've just seen a ghost, he says. I think.
[24:40] Speaker 4: I think Rocky four has been destroyed. I don't know
[24:46] Speaker 4: how I know. I can just I can just tell.
[24:51] Speaker 1: Warning, the unknown voice says, one of your rock golms
[24:57] Speaker 1: has just been destroyed. In calm, as each goal is
[25:02] Speaker 1: imparted with a small part of your own life force,
[25:07] Speaker 1: you can sense them and will feel deeply connected.
[25:12] Speaker 4: I feel I feel really sad. You say, where where
[25:21] Speaker 4: did this happen? How is it in battle? Excellent question?
[25:26] Speaker 4: The all knowing voice says, I suggest checking your map.
[25:32] Speaker 4: Your map should indicate the position of all known golams
[25:38] Speaker 4: or their last known position. You lift up your left
[25:44] Speaker 4: wrist and a map appears in front of you, almost
[25:49] Speaker 4: like a digital floating hologram.
[25:53] Speaker 1: You see a picture of your village from above. You
[25:57] Speaker 1: see markers for Rocky one, Rocky two, Rocky three, Copper one,
[26:04] Speaker 1: Copper two, and Copper three, and an image for Copper
[26:10] Speaker 1: four with a little line through it, just on the
[26:14] Speaker 1: outskirts of the village.
[26:17] Speaker 3: We need to see.
[26:18] Speaker 1: What happened, you say, But uh, well, maybe I should
[26:24] Speaker 1: improve my equipment first. You quickly run over the furnaces
[26:29] Speaker 1: and gather a whole bunch of copper. Well, you already
[26:32] Speaker 1: made yourself a copper chest plate. It's probably a good
[26:37] Speaker 1: idea to make some other pieces of armor. You flip
[26:41] Speaker 1: through the menu, finding iron bracers and create those. You
[26:47] Speaker 1: create an iron helmet, next, iron leg guards, iron boots,
[26:53] Speaker 1: and you soon absorb them into your inventory and equip
[26:58] Speaker 1: all of them. You reach out to your iron sword,
[27:03] Speaker 1: which immediately appears in your hand, and then you yell
[27:08] Speaker 1: for the golams.
[27:10] Speaker 4: Rocky what, Rocky two, Rocky three? You shout, I need
[27:18] Speaker 4: you please be advised, The all knowing voice says, as
[27:25] Speaker 4: the golams share a part of your life force.
[27:29] Speaker 1: All you need to do is call them in your head. Really,
[27:36] Speaker 1: you say, really, the voice replies, So instead of yelling,
[27:42] Speaker 1: you focus on the golams. You imagine them rolling back
[27:46] Speaker 1: towards you, and after a minute you hear their rumble.
[27:53] Speaker 1: Rocky one and Rocky two appear in front of you
[27:57] Speaker 1: and burst back into their full stand up golum form.
[28:03] Speaker 4: What are your orders?
[28:07] Speaker 1: Follow me? You say. You jump atop your hawk, unattach
[28:14] Speaker 1: it from the little post and give it a little nudge.
[28:18] Speaker 1: It flies up into the air, and the golams follow
[28:23] Speaker 1: you on the ground. You watch the map by holding
[28:27] Speaker 1: up your left arm as you fly towards the last
[28:31] Speaker 1: known location of Rocky four. Soon you see it, a
[28:39] Speaker 1: pile of rubble right beside, well, right beside some sort
[28:45] Speaker 1: of camp, A camp surrounded by iron golams, three of
[28:53] Speaker 1: them in total. There's blue and green banners and flags
[28:58] Speaker 1: spread throughout the camp, and cages, A whole bunch of
[29:04] Speaker 1: cages with a whole bunch of people inside. There have
[29:09] Speaker 1: to be around fifteen of them. Anger boils up inside
[29:15] Speaker 1: you at the sight of the broken rocks, At the
[29:19] Speaker 1: sight of the broken golam that you created, and without
[29:26] Speaker 1: thinking or you know, coming up with a plan or
[29:30] Speaker 1: calling for Guss and the other copper golams, you immediately
[29:35] Speaker 1: fled down towards the first iron golum, summon a fireball
[29:41] Speaker 1: and blast it away. The fire ball hits the iron
[29:46] Speaker 1: golum directly in the chest, and you follow it up
[29:50] Speaker 1: with three more, draining your mana pretty significantly. The last
[29:56] Speaker 1: one finally causes the iron goleum to ex explode into
[30:01] Speaker 1: a large pile of iron. The commotion alerts the other three,
[30:07] Speaker 1: who roll away from their various places and form underneath you.
[30:13] Speaker 1: You fly back up into the air and begin to
[30:16] Speaker 1: circle around, trying to come up with a plan. Soon,
[30:20] Speaker 1: Rocky one and Rocky two appear beneath you and start
[30:25] Speaker 1: to fight the three iron golums. There's no way there'll
[30:30] Speaker 1: be enough to take on three iron golams. You're going
[30:34] Speaker 1: to need to help. You immediately swoop down again some
[30:39] Speaker 1: in MANA and your right hand, forming it into a
[30:42] Speaker 1: fireball MANA and your left hand, and you unleash both
[30:47] Speaker 1: at the same time directly towards the front goalum. The
[30:53] Speaker 1: blast pushes the golem backward. You fire two more fireballs,
[30:59] Speaker 1: and the golum finally explodes, leaving only two left and
[31:04] Speaker 1: uh well, very little mana in your monopool, you steer
[31:12] Speaker 1: the giant hawk around, look down, and drawing your sword
[31:17] Speaker 1: from your inventory, you instinctively leap off of the bird,
[31:23] Speaker 1: allowing your ninja reflexes to kick in. You fall from
[31:29] Speaker 1: the sky, sword pointed down at one of the golams.
[31:35] Speaker 1: You raise your hands up in the air, and just
[31:39] Speaker 1: as you impact with the golam, you thrust the sword down,
[31:44] Speaker 1: increasing the power of your hit by a lot. The
[31:49] Speaker 1: golam immediately explodes into a pile of iron. Now you
[31:57] Speaker 1: have a much better chance of defeeding the last one.
[32:01] Speaker 1: Rocky one and Rocky two are currently being held back
[32:06] Speaker 1: by the thing. It has Rocky one's head and it's
[32:10] Speaker 1: one arm while it holds Rocky two in a sort
[32:13] Speaker 1: of choke hold. Your monopool refills just enough for a
[32:19] Speaker 1: single fire blast. You form the fireball and shoot it
[32:24] Speaker 1: at the iron Goleum. It hits him in the back,
[32:28] Speaker 1: causing him to turn around. He throws the other two
[32:33] Speaker 1: rock Golams in the opposite direction and starts to march
[32:38] Speaker 1: straight towards you. You hold your sword at the ready
[32:43] Speaker 1: and begin to swing it at the golum. He blocks
[32:46] Speaker 1: with his arm. The sword just sort of clangs against
[32:50] Speaker 1: the thing. The iron goalum gets closer and closer. You
[32:56] Speaker 1: back away until finally Rocky one and Rocky two return together.
[33:03] Speaker 1: They jump onto the iron Golum's back and attempt to
[33:08] Speaker 1: tackle him. There obviously no match alone, but they do
[33:13] Speaker 1: cause a very important distraction. You use that instance to
[33:20] Speaker 1: roll forward with a ninja roll and thrust your sword
[33:25] Speaker 1: directly into the chest of the golum. The golam almost
[33:30] Speaker 1: immediately explodes into a pile of rubble, iron rubble, and
[33:38] Speaker 1: you let out a deep breath. Now we better see
[33:44] Speaker 1: who these people are. You move over to one of
[33:47] Speaker 1: the cages. Who are you, guys, and why are you
[33:52] Speaker 1: locked up here surrounded by golums?
[33:55] Speaker 4: You ask, I believe I can answer that question. An
[34:03] Speaker 4: old old lady in one of the cages says, the
[34:07] Speaker 4: others spread apart as she moves to the side. We
[34:13] Speaker 4: lived in a nearby village. We were simple miners until
[34:21] Speaker 4: the Golam king came. His army of iron golams destroyed
[34:29] Speaker 4: the village. We were given a choice join him or
[34:36] Speaker 4: be prisoners forever. We chose prisoners, and we've been locked
[34:45] Speaker 4: up here ever since. A Seriously, he just left you
[34:51] Speaker 4: blocked up in cages in a camp surrounded by four
[34:55] Speaker 4: iron golums. Ah it seems so oh, the old lady answers, Now,
[35:05] Speaker 4: any chance you let us out of you? She asks,
[35:10] Speaker 4: Oh right, You mentally reach into your inventory and produce
[35:16] Speaker 4: the lock pick once again. You move towards the lock
[35:21] Speaker 4: stick your sword in the end and start to try
[35:24] Speaker 4: turning it. At the same time, you use the lock
[35:28] Speaker 4: pick to wiggle around inside the lock, and you know,
[35:33] Speaker 4: I'll try to push up all of the little pins.
[35:37] Speaker 4: It takes a little doing, but eventually there's a click,
[35:41] Speaker 4: the lock turns.
[35:43] Speaker 1: And the door opens. You repeat the same one on
[35:47] Speaker 1: the other cages nearby. Congratulations, the all knowing voice says,
[35:54] Speaker 1: as you unlock the last one. You have increased your
[35:59] Speaker 1: lock picking to level three. You now understand locks a
[36:06] Speaker 1: little better, and somehow you know that the voice is
[36:12] Speaker 1: telling the truth. You do understand locks better.
[36:17] Speaker 4: Thank you for saving us, the old lady says, Now
[36:24] Speaker 4: where should we go? Ah?
[36:28] Speaker 1: Well, I was rebuilding a village just over there. Maybe
[36:35] Speaker 1: you could come join me. I imagine it's actually the
[36:39] Speaker 1: village you guys used to live in.
[36:42] Speaker 4: Ah, yes, yes it is. But even if it weren't,
[36:50] Speaker 4: we would follow you wherever you would like. We are
[36:57] Speaker 4: at your mercy. Ah all right, well whatever, come on.
[37:05] Speaker 4: You wait for the villagers to follow you, and you
[37:09] Speaker 4: lead them back to the broken down village, the broken
[37:14] Speaker 4: down village that's now looking well, rather less broken. Two
[37:20] Speaker 4: of the golams are quickly at work reshaping the thing,
[37:23] Speaker 4: while the other still seems to be working in the mines.
[37:28] Speaker 4: Feel free to make yourselves at home, you say, maybe.
[37:32] Speaker 1: In your old homes. I kind of claim that building
[37:35] Speaker 1: is my own. The people start to spread out, They
[37:40] Speaker 1: begin to clean up themselves, to rebuild a little bit,
[37:45] Speaker 1: and well to each find their place within the village.
[37:52] Speaker 1: You decide that that's probably enough for one day. The
[37:57] Speaker 1: sun starts to set and you head back to your
[38:02] Speaker 1: now slightly bigger home. You enter inside and can't help
[38:08] Speaker 1: but notice how much roomier it is in there, a
[38:12] Speaker 1: whole bunch of blank space that you'll have to like
[38:16] Speaker 1: do something with in the future. You lay down on
[38:21] Speaker 1: the bed, pull the cover up to your chin, and
[38:26] Speaker 1: a prompt immediately appears. Sleep now question mark. You select yes,
[38:34] Speaker 1: and a wave of fatigue passes over your body. Your
[38:39] Speaker 1: eyes become heavy, your muscles almost immediately relax, and with
[38:47] Speaker 1: each breath you start to sink down deeper and deeper
[38:54] Speaker 1: into the mattress as your mind wanders off to dreams
[38:59] Speaker 1: of new adventures, new buildings, and new GLAMs to come.
[39:09] Speaker 3: Good night, everyone, No more.
[41:48] Speaker 5: Union, no mo of thing, no.
[43:12] Speaker 4: Mo m.
[46:35] Speaker 3: M no m m
[57:20] Speaker 4: M
