[3:21] Speaker 1: you can in that bed, close your eyes and imagine
[3:25] Speaker 1: yourself doing what the kid in the story does. Imagine
[3:31] Speaker 1: yourself waking up on spaceship. It turns out you fell
[3:36] Speaker 1: asleep on the couch again. You get up, swing your
[3:41] Speaker 1: legs over the side, and stretch your arms up in
[3:45] Speaker 1: the air. Ugh, good boarding, spaceship. Eh find anything interesting
[3:51] Speaker 1: while I was sleeping? Yes, indeed I did. I have
[3:56] Speaker 1: discovered a crystal planet. Oh like power crystals? You ask, uh,
[4:05] Speaker 1: the ones that power the ship? Perhaps spaceship answers. There
[4:11] Speaker 1: are some signs of very powerful crystals. However, my scans
[4:17] Speaker 1: indicate that many of these crystals are a little bit different,
[4:23] Speaker 1: different in a good way or different in a bad way.
[4:27] Speaker 1: You ask, that certainly depends on how you look at it,
[4:32] Speaker 1: Spaceship answers. My scans show that the crystals appear to
[4:38] Speaker 1: interact with living biology. Simulations suggest that each type of
[4:44] Speaker 1: crystal on this planet may enhance a different ability of
[4:49] Speaker 1: the human body. You slowly turn towards the ship. Oh,
[4:56] Speaker 1: what do you mean, enhance the human body, like give
[5:01] Speaker 1: me magical powers or something like that, perhaps, Spaceship answers,
[5:09] Speaker 1: I mean that they temporarily enhance your connection to certain
[5:14] Speaker 1: forms of energy, motion, matter, or other special forces. So superpowers,
[5:23] Speaker 1: you say, yes, superpowers. Well, Spaceship, I think it's time
[5:32] Speaker 1: to set a course for that planet. Understood, setting course Now,
[5:40] Speaker 1: Spaceship turns a little bit to the right and heads
[5:44] Speaker 1: a little bit up from your current path, then jumps
[5:49] Speaker 1: to super hyper drive. After a short trip through a
[5:54] Speaker 1: wormhole like tunnel at incredible speed, the ship comes to
[5:59] Speaker 1: a step directly above a planet that is definitely definitely
[6:06] Speaker 1: made of crystals. In fact, from far away, the planet
[6:12] Speaker 1: looks kind of like a decoration made by a toddler
[6:16] Speaker 1: that got a hold of one of those bejeweling devices
[6:20] Speaker 1: or whatever they're called. It's very sparkly everything, sparkly. Forests
[6:29] Speaker 1: glitter like glass, mountains, sparkle in all different colors. There's
[6:35] Speaker 1: long rivers that look like there are shiny crystals floating
[6:40] Speaker 1: on their surface.
[6:42] Speaker 3: The whole thing.
[6:43] Speaker 1: Is incredibly colorful, blue, green, gold, purple, everything just sort
[6:52] Speaker 1: of glittering in the sunlight. You jump into the command
[6:57] Speaker 1: chair and grab a hold of the joystick, steering the
[7:01] Speaker 1: ship down towards the planet. You soon find yourself gliding
[7:07] Speaker 1: over a valley filled with enormous crystal towers. Some are
[7:13] Speaker 1: red and sharp, some are yellow and bright, some are
[7:20] Speaker 1: blue and as clear as water. Others are green, white, orange,
[7:26] Speaker 1: and purple, all glowing softly, as if the planet itself
[7:32] Speaker 1: was powered or something. Spaceship lands on a flat silver
[7:38] Speaker 1: plain between several crystal fields of all different colors. The
[7:45] Speaker 1: back door opens up and you head down the ramp
[7:50] Speaker 1: and take a step onto the crystally ground. When you
[7:55] Speaker 1: step down, there's sort of a little musical jing that
[8:00] Speaker 1: plays beneath your feet. The air smells clean and cool
[8:06] Speaker 1: and changer. Your well. Shape shifting dog, currently in the
[8:11] Speaker 1: form of a earth puppy, jumps out behind you, running
[8:16] Speaker 1: around on the surface of the planet and transforming into
[8:21] Speaker 1: several different creatures before landing on a bird. The bird
[8:26] Speaker 1: floats over and lands atop a red crystal. A scanning
[8:32] Speaker 1: beam of bright blue shines out over the different colors
[8:37] Speaker 1: of crystals. The red crystals appear to be linked to
[8:42] Speaker 1: something akin to physical force, Spaceship says, possibly increasing your strength.
[8:51] Speaker 1: Is it safe to try out? You ask?
[8:55] Speaker 3: It's as safe.
[8:56] Speaker 1: As any other thing I've allowed you to do over
[8:59] Speaker 1: these many advents. Spaceship answers. You take a second to
[9:04] Speaker 1: think about that. Spaceship's never led you fully astray or
[9:09] Speaker 1: anything like that, so it's probably pretty safe. You walk
[9:15] Speaker 1: over to one of the smaller red crystals. It's about
[9:18] Speaker 1: the size of your hand, and it's glowing warmly. You
[9:23] Speaker 1: touch it with one finger and for a second nothing happens.
[9:28] Speaker 1: Then your whole body feels like it's full of thunder.
[9:33] Speaker 3: You say.
[9:35] Speaker 1: The crystal flashes, and a red glow runs up your
[9:38] Speaker 1: arm and spreads across your entire body. How do you feel,
[9:45] Speaker 1: Spaceship asks, I feel strong, You answer to what degree.
[9:54] Speaker 1: You look around and find a boulder sitting between some
[9:59] Speaker 1: of the chris one about the size of a small car. Huh,
[10:05] Speaker 1: let's find out, you say. You walk over towards the boulder.
[10:11] Speaker 1: You grab it with your hands, which somehow break into
[10:17] Speaker 1: the side of it, as if it's made out of
[10:20] Speaker 1: foam or something. You lift it up so easily that
[10:25] Speaker 1: you almost throw it up over your head by accident. Oho,
[10:31] Speaker 1: you say, trying to get a hold of the boulder
[10:34] Speaker 1: up over top of your head. Careful, Spaceship says, make
[10:39] Speaker 1: gentle movements. Your muscles are amplifying force approximately forty times
[10:46] Speaker 1: the normal amount. You carefully raise the boulder up, getting
[10:52] Speaker 1: a balance for it. This is amazing. Then you pull
[10:59] Speaker 1: it back behind you and throw it as hard and
[11:03] Speaker 1: as far as you can. You figure it'll only go
[11:07] Speaker 1: a few feet, but instead it sails across the valley
[11:13] Speaker 1: like a cannon ball, and then smashes into one of
[11:17] Speaker 1: the crystal hills, sending sparkles and well little broken pieces
[11:22] Speaker 1: of crystal everywhere.
[11:26] Speaker 4: Uh.
[11:27] Speaker 1: Oops, You say that was rather destructive, Spaceship says, I
[11:35] Speaker 1: only meant to throw it a few feet. You threw
[11:39] Speaker 1: it approximately four hundred feet. Well, I guess I don't
[11:44] Speaker 1: know my own strength yet. Sorry, you'll be more careful.
[11:48] Speaker 1: I'm still learning. The red glow slowly fades away from
[11:54] Speaker 1: your body and disappears. At least we know that this
[11:59] Speaker 1: crystal is definitely the strength you say, Confirmed, Spaceship says,
[12:06] Speaker 1: let's use a higher level of caution next time.
[12:10] Speaker 3: How fine.
[12:12] Speaker 1: Next you turn over to one of the yellow crystals.
[12:16] Speaker 1: It's tall and thin, with some sort of light racing
[12:20] Speaker 1: inside of it, like little tiny lightning bolts. This field
[12:25] Speaker 1: appears connected to that of motion, speed, reaction, time, that
[12:32] Speaker 1: sort of thing. You reach out and touch the crystal,
[12:37] Speaker 1: and the world suddenly starts to stretch around you. The
[12:42] Speaker 1: wind stops, changers, little bird tail stops moving, or just
[12:49] Speaker 1: about stops moving. You realize that the world hasn't actually
[12:55] Speaker 1: slowed down. You have sped up. You take one step
[13:02] Speaker 1: and nearly launch across the field. Your feet blur beneath you.
[13:08] Speaker 1: You run in a circle around Spaceship so fast that
[13:13] Speaker 1: well you can only see yourself as a streak reflected
[13:17] Speaker 1: in the silver hall. Careful Spaceship eventually says, very slowly
[13:26] Speaker 1: and deeply.
[13:27] Speaker 5: You.
[13:29] Speaker 1: Are moving at you zip up a crystal hill, down
[13:38] Speaker 1: the other side, around a crystal blue lake, past a
[13:42] Speaker 1: row of green crystals, and back again. Before Spaceship can
[13:46] Speaker 1: even finish his sentence, danger iscity, I'm fine, you shout,
[13:59] Speaker 1: but out to Spaceship, your voice only comes out as
[14:02] Speaker 1: a squeaky streak of sound. Changer, looking at all of
[14:07] Speaker 1: the fun you're having, flies down off of the red
[14:10] Speaker 1: crystal and lands on the yellow one. A streak of
[14:15] Speaker 1: yellow power passes through him, and he almost instantly transforms
[14:20] Speaker 1: back into a dog and then zips over beside you.
[14:25] Speaker 1: The two of you race around in circles for a
[14:28] Speaker 1: few minutes before the yellow glow starts to fade and
[14:33] Speaker 1: you start to go back to normal speed, which feels
[14:39] Speaker 1: incredibly slow now. Next you turn towards a pale blue
[14:44] Speaker 1: crystal that's hovering a few inches above the ground, which
[14:49] Speaker 1: makes you think that it might have some connection to flight.
[14:54] Speaker 1: This one appears connected to gravity, Spaceship says, lift balance,
[15:02] Speaker 1: vertical movement a flight crystal. You quickly place your hand
[15:08] Speaker 1: on it, and Changer runs over and does the same.
[15:13] Speaker 1: Blue white energy curls around your body as well as Changers,
[15:19] Speaker 1: and you soon find yourself lifting up off of the
[15:23] Speaker 1: ground and floating in place. For a perfect second, you
[15:29] Speaker 1: just hover there peacefully. Then with a simple thought, you
[15:34] Speaker 1: shoot upwards. You blast through the air like a rocket,
[15:40] Speaker 1: and Changer chases after you, transforming himself into a long, thin,
[15:48] Speaker 1: dragon like creature. The crystal planet drops beneath you as
[15:54] Speaker 1: you bounce around left and right, flying between mountains over
[15:59] Speaker 1: top of hills, before eventually slowly running out of power
[16:05] Speaker 1: and drifting downwards, falling at a very safe pace towards
[16:13] Speaker 1: the ground. You're thankful that the flight crystal doesn't just
[16:17] Speaker 1: sort of immediately run out of energy. The blue streaks
[16:22] Speaker 1: of power leave your body and Changer lands beside you.
[16:28] Speaker 1: Then look over to the last crystal that you can
[16:31] Speaker 1: see nearby. It's green with a little bit of brown
[16:35] Speaker 1: on the bottom. Oh, what do you think that one is, spaceship,
[16:39] Speaker 1: you ask, I believe that this power field appears connected
[16:45] Speaker 1: to organic growth. Though on this planet, life and crystal
[16:51] Speaker 1: structures seem to be blended together, so like a nature crystal,
[16:58] Speaker 1: it'll give me the power to grow things out of
[17:00] Speaker 1: the ground by simply thinking about it. Possibly, there is
[17:06] Speaker 1: only one way to try it out. You place your
[17:10] Speaker 1: hand on the green crystal and warmth spreads through your
[17:15] Speaker 1: body as well as a strange green glow. The ground
[17:22] Speaker 1: beneath your feet starts to sort of tremble, and a
[17:27] Speaker 1: tiny green sprout pushes up through the crystal floor, then another,
[17:33] Speaker 1: and then ten more. Crystal grass grows in a circle
[17:39] Speaker 1: around you, glowing the same color as an emerald. A
[17:44] Speaker 1: small tree rises from the ground, and a whole bunch
[17:49] Speaker 1: of vines shoot up. You lift your hands up and
[17:55] Speaker 1: well you feel a sort of connection to them again,
[18:00] Speaker 1: to will the trees and vines to grow up and
[18:04] Speaker 1: over and around in any direction you like, and to
[18:09] Speaker 1: your surprise, they follow.
[18:14] Speaker 5: You.
[18:14] Speaker 1: Focus down on the ground below you, and imagine a
[18:18] Speaker 1: tree shooting up beneath you. It starts as a sprout,
[18:24] Speaker 1: gets larger and larger, wraps itself around your feet, and
[18:29] Speaker 1: then lifts you up into the air, high above the
[18:34] Speaker 1: crystal planet. The tree continues to shoot up and out
[18:40] Speaker 1: until all of the crystal is now surrounded by patches
[18:45] Speaker 1: of green grass, beautiful large trees, and a whole bunch
[18:52] Speaker 1: of vines. Changer swings around beside you, transformed into a
[18:59] Speaker 1: monkey and having the time of his life, swinging from
[19:03] Speaker 1: vine to vine He must have touched one of the
[19:07] Speaker 1: green crystals too, because he has that sort of glow
[19:10] Speaker 1: about him, and because the vines themselves seem to reach
[19:15] Speaker 1: out to grab him just as much as he reaches
[19:20] Speaker 1: out to hold.
[19:21] Speaker 3: On to them.
[19:23] Speaker 1: Before long, the green glow fades as well, but the
[19:29] Speaker 1: trees and plants you've grown seem to stay where they are.
[19:34] Speaker 3: Cool.
[19:36] Speaker 1: We can like transform this entire planet if we want to,
[19:40] Speaker 1: you say. And then a shadow passes over the crystal valley.
[19:48] Speaker 1: You look up and see a dark ship dropping down
[19:53] Speaker 1: through the clouds. It's shaped like a jagged metal t
[20:01] Speaker 1: Rex head. It lands in the front hatch, opens up,
[20:07] Speaker 1: a ramp lowers down and down the ramp stomps Rex
[20:15] Speaker 1: or a Rex clone, in case you don't know Rex,
[20:21] Speaker 1: or well, Rex's clones anyways, are some of your biggest nemeses.
[20:28] Speaker 1: Rex is an evolved t Rex, which means he's smarter
[20:33] Speaker 1: than a normal dinosaur and in fact, smarter than a
[20:37] Speaker 1: normal human. Only this time, instead of wearing his normal
[20:42] Speaker 1: white scientist robes, he's wearing some sort of power armor.
[20:49] Speaker 1: Well well, well, Rex says, trying out new powers without
[20:56] Speaker 1: inviting me. You fold your arms, Rex, changer starts to
[21:04] Speaker 1: growl and transforms into a much larger and scarier looking dog.
[21:11] Speaker 1: What are you doing here, you ask? Rex gestures behind him.
[21:18] Speaker 2: Me.
[21:19] Speaker 1: I'm doing what I always do, bringing you a little
[21:24] Speaker 1: bit of excitement. He gestures behind him, and a dozen
[21:31] Speaker 1: robots i'll shaped like t rexes begin to march down
[21:36] Speaker 1: the ramp, Then another dozen, and then several more. Rex,
[21:44] Speaker 1: why did you bring an army.
[21:45] Speaker 3: Of robots to this peaceful crystal.
[21:47] Speaker 1: Planet, you ask, Well, it could be for science, or
[21:55] Speaker 1: for adventure, or for a thrilling opportunity. Need to test
[22:00] Speaker 1: your new powers in a dramatic and exciting way. You
[22:06] Speaker 1: stand still for a second. I didn't ask you to
[22:11] Speaker 1: do that, though, well you may not have asked, but hm,
[22:16] Speaker 1: I think somewhere deep down inside you truly enjoy the excitement.
[22:24] Speaker 1: Rex makes a gesture and the robots charged towards you.
[22:30] Speaker 1: You leap back as the first one swings a metal fist,
[22:34] Speaker 1: and you instantly place your hand on one of the
[22:39] Speaker 1: red crystals. A strange red glow, accompanied by an incredible
[22:46] Speaker 1: feeling of strength, blasts through your body. A robot grabs
[22:51] Speaker 1: for your arm, but you grab its arm instead. You
[22:57] Speaker 1: spin and throw it at two of the other They
[23:01] Speaker 1: crash together in a shower of sparks. Another robot fires
[23:06] Speaker 1: a net. You grab a chunk of crystal from the
[23:09] Speaker 1: ground and throw it towards the approaching net as hard
[23:14] Speaker 1: as you can. The crystal sends the net flying in
[23:18] Speaker 1: the opposite direction and straight into the robot who shot
[23:22] Speaker 1: the thing at you. It causes the robot to almost
[23:26] Speaker 1: immediately explode in a shower of little metal bits and
[23:31] Speaker 1: well sparks, which is honestly pretty satisfying. You hear Rex
[23:38] Speaker 1: clapping in the background. Excellent, very entertaining. This is not
[23:45] Speaker 1: for your entertainment, you yell back, then, why is it
[23:50] Speaker 1: so entertaining? The red glow fades just as flying robots
[23:57] Speaker 1: roar overhead to one of the light blue crystals. Energy
[24:04] Speaker 1: passes through your body and lifts you up into the air.
[24:08] Speaker 1: You shoot upwards, this time with a little more control
[24:13] Speaker 1: than you add the first time you tried flying. The
[24:16] Speaker 1: flying robots turned towards you with their wings buzzing. One
[24:21] Speaker 1: fires a blast, but you simply roll sideways. Another dives
[24:27] Speaker 1: towards you, and you just flip over it and kick
[24:31] Speaker 1: it down towards the ground. You stretch your arms and
[24:35] Speaker 1: fly faster, weaving between robots and well skillfully causing them
[24:42] Speaker 1: to bump into one another. You move out of the
[24:46] Speaker 1: way at the last second, forcing two of them to
[24:49] Speaker 1: collide and explode in a whole bunch of metal pieces
[24:54] Speaker 1: and sparks. Once again, you lure another to follow behind you,
[25:00] Speaker 1: and then turn upward at the last second before crashing
[25:04] Speaker 1: into a crystal mountain. The robots, luckily, are not as
[25:09] Speaker 1: quick to change directions. The result is an explosion of
[25:14] Speaker 1: crystal as the robot blasts into the thing. One by one,
[25:20] Speaker 1: You out maneuver the flight robots until they're pretty much
[25:25] Speaker 1: just a giant pile of broken robot bits on the ground. Uh,
[25:32] Speaker 1: your robots aren't very good at corners, you call out
[25:35] Speaker 1: to Rex. Perhaps not, Let's see how you deal with
[25:42] Speaker 1: these ones. More robots start to march out of Rex's spaceship,
[25:50] Speaker 1: only these ones are huge. Four of them start to
[25:55] Speaker 1: march straight towards spaceship, each one care a glowing drill
[26:02] Speaker 1: of some kind. Oh no, you don't, you say. You
[26:07] Speaker 1: land near one of the yellow crystals and place your
[26:11] Speaker 1: hand on it. Speed in a strange yellow glow pass
[26:15] Speaker 1: throughout your body.
[26:17] Speaker 3: The world slows again.
[26:21] Speaker 1: The drill robots stomp forward like they're moving at super
[26:26] Speaker 1: slow speed.
[26:28] Speaker 3: You race around them and.
[26:30] Speaker 1: Begin yanking wires out, unplugging anything you can find, and
[26:36] Speaker 1: breaking apart anything that looks particularly breakable. You find that
[26:42] Speaker 1: moving at this speed makes everything rather breakable. As you
[26:47] Speaker 1: allow time to catch up, all four robots take one
[26:52] Speaker 1: more step before immediately falling over and exploding. That was
[26:58] Speaker 1: very efficient, spaceship says. You give a little bow. You
[27:05] Speaker 1: hear a strange booming noise and look up to see
[27:09] Speaker 1: a huge net being fired from Rex's ship. It spreads
[27:15] Speaker 1: across the sky and begins to crackle with electricity. You
[27:20] Speaker 1: try to dodge, but the nets too wide and the
[27:24] Speaker 1: speed power drains out of your body. You see a
[27:30] Speaker 1: green crystal next to you, so you reach out and
[27:34] Speaker 1: touch it. The powers of the crystal pass through your body,
[27:39] Speaker 1: and you use your mind to reach out towards the
[27:43] Speaker 1: planet once again. A forest answers. Crystal vines burst from
[27:50] Speaker 1: the ground and shoot upward. They catch the net before
[27:53] Speaker 1: it lands and wrap around it, pulling it tight and
[27:58] Speaker 1: dragging it away from you. More vine surge across the battlefield,
[28:04] Speaker 1: curling around the legs and arms and wheels and weapons
[28:09] Speaker 1: of the remaining robots, before tightening and crushing them into pieces.
[28:16] Speaker 1: With the last of the robots defeated, you turn back
[28:20] Speaker 1: towards Rex. Well, I guess that's it for your robots.
[28:27] Speaker 1: Any more surprises you'd like to share with me?
[28:31] Speaker 3: You ask.
[28:33] Speaker 1: Rex reaches behind his back. Well, there is one, you see.
[28:40] Speaker 1: I have been exploring the crystal planet longer than you have,
[28:45] Speaker 1: and as much as it was a blast to have superpower,
[28:51] Speaker 1: super strength, super speed and flight, of course I happened
[28:59] Speaker 1: to cross an other kind of crystal. Rex holds a
[29:04] Speaker 1: glowing purple crystal in front of himself. The purple power
[29:10] Speaker 1: spreads through his body.
[29:12] Speaker 3: And then a blast.
[29:14] Speaker 1: Of strange purple energy shoots from his body towards you.
[29:21] Speaker 1: Your body suddenly starts to feel very tired. Some sort
[29:28] Speaker 1: of psychic message passes through your mind and tells you
[29:32] Speaker 1: that it's time to sleep. It becomes harder and harder
[29:39] Speaker 1: to hold your eyes open, and eventually there's nothing you
[29:45] Speaker 1: can do about it. Your eyes close, You fall to
[29:50] Speaker 1: the ground and begin to snore. Before long, still feeling
[29:58] Speaker 1: pretty groggy, your eyes slowly open again. You look across
[30:06] Speaker 1: from you, and you see Changer lifting his head up
[30:10] Speaker 1: off of the ground as well, and Spaceship sitting there
[30:14] Speaker 1: in the distance. Good, you are finally awake. Spaceship says,
[30:21] Speaker 1: what happened?
[30:23] Speaker 3: You ask?
[30:25] Speaker 1: It would seem that Rex used some sort of psychic
[30:28] Speaker 1: power from the purple crystal he discovered and caused you
[30:33] Speaker 1: to fall asleep. Luckily, he only used the time to
[30:39] Speaker 1: get away once again. Why didn't you stop him?
[30:43] Speaker 3: You ask?
[30:45] Speaker 1: The purple crystal seemed to have some sort of effect
[30:49] Speaker 1: on me as well. I was unable to respond for
[30:54] Speaker 1: a short period of time. Since then, I have been
[30:58] Speaker 1: monitoring you, Changers to ensure your vital signs stayed stable. Ugh, thanks,
[31:06] Speaker 1: I guess. You pick yourself up off of the ground,
[31:11] Speaker 1: still feeling incredibly tired, and you walk over towards the ship,
[31:17] Speaker 1: up the ramp and straight down onto the couch. Changer
[31:23] Speaker 1: curls up on the ground beside you, and you close
[31:28] Speaker 1: your eyes as you hear the ship lift up off
[31:32] Speaker 1: of the ground. Whatever that purple well psychic crystal was,
[31:40] Speaker 1: it's left you feeling very very sleepy. You will allow
[31:47] Speaker 1: your eyes to close and you simply focus on your breath,
[31:53] Speaker 1: noticing your stomach rising and falling as your mind slow
[32:00] Speaker 1: these starts to drift off to a nice deep sleep
[32:06] Speaker 1: once again, and your mind ventures off to thoughts of
[32:13] Speaker 1: new dreams, new adventures, and new power crystals to come.
