Boomer and Rhett react to the Calgary Flames locking up Simon Nemec on a five-year, $36.25 million contract after acquiring the young defenceman from the New Jersey Devils earlier this offseason. With a $7.25 million cap hit and a major trade package already invested in him, Calgary is clearly betting big that Nemec can become a cornerstone piece on the blue line. The guys break down the contract, Craig Conroy getting the deal done early, what Nemec means for the Flames' future, and whether this is the kind of swing Calgary needed to take.
