Boomer sits down with longtime FAN 960 program director Kelly Kirch — better known as the Regina Rocket — to look back on the rise, glory days and eventual death of Calgary’s beloved sports radio station. From Mike Richards and Rob Kerr to Pinder, Rhett Warrener, Pat Steinberg and the personalities that helped shape the station, Boomer and Kelly share stories from behind the scenes, revisit some of the biggest eras in FAN 960 history and discuss what made the station such an important part of Calgary’s sports community. Plus, Kelly opens up about the end of FAN 960, the changing sports radio landscape and whether something like it could ever exist again.
