Boomer, Pinder and Rhett preview the Boston Bruins heading into the 2026-27 season and try to figure out exactly what this team is after a surprising 100-point season and a return to the playoffs last year. Boston is still built around David Pastrnak, Charlie McAvoy and Jeremy Swayman, but the Bruins are also starting to build their next wave with Fraser Minten, James Hagens and the addition of JJ Peterka, who gives them another dangerous offensive weapon alongside Pasta. The guys break down whether Boston actually improved this offseason, if Swayman can follow up his bounce-back year, whether Hagens is ready to make an impact and how much Peterka changes the look of their top six. The Bruins proved a lot of people wrong last season, but in an absolutely loaded Atlantic Division, are they good enough to take another step — or are they still stuck somewhere between rebuilding and legitimately contending?
