[0:09] Speaker 1: Welcome to and That's what You Really miss podcast. Okay,
[0:14] Speaker 1: last time, we finally answered both Kevin and I.
[0:18] Speaker 2: Hi Kevin, we knew you were dying to know what
[0:20] Speaker 2: Glee left us with you just you couldn't wait, So
[0:24] Speaker 2: we finally.
[0:24] Speaker 1: Answered that, and we answered the question what is the
[0:29] Speaker 1: feeling that Glee leaves you with? And now we are
[0:31] Speaker 1: asking you guys the same thing because we know you're
[0:36] Speaker 1: here for a reason. We know Glee did something in
[0:40] Speaker 1: some way to you, so we're here to hear all
[0:43] Speaker 1: about it. So today's episode is all about your answers,
[0:46] Speaker 1: your stories, and the way that Glee has stuck with
[0:49] Speaker 1: you over the years.
[0:50] Speaker 2: We love this Glee community so much and hearing your
[0:53] Speaker 2: voices just proves how special it really is. So let's
[0:57] Speaker 2: get into it for you by you here.
[1:01] Speaker 3: You are, Hi, Jenna, Hi Kevin. My name is Tara
[1:05] Speaker 3: and I'm from Long Island, New York. I've been a
[1:07] Speaker 3: fan of Glee ever since I saw the Michael Jackson
[1:10] Speaker 3: episode back in twenty twelve, and the show has left
[1:13] Speaker 3: me feeling both inspired and nostalgic. Glee truly changed my life.
[1:18] Speaker 3: Glee and especially Diana's character Quinn, helped me through some
[1:22] Speaker 3: really tough times both medically and personally. The show even
[1:26] Speaker 3: inspired my love for musical theater, and I've now been
[1:28] Speaker 3: to almost fifty different Broadway shows. Having had the chance
[1:32] Speaker 3: to meet some of you, I can honestly say that
[1:35] Speaker 3: the Glee cast is something truly special, in one of
[1:38] Speaker 3: a kind. Thank you for creating something so meaningful, for
[1:42] Speaker 3: including the fans in so much of the Glee journey,
[1:45] Speaker 3: and thank you for continuing that legacy through the podcast.
[1:48] Speaker 4: Hi there, Kevin and Jenna.
[1:50] Speaker 5: This is Albert calling from Los Angeles. Wow, what does
[1:54] Speaker 5: Glee mean to me? So many things. It's my entire heart,
[1:57] Speaker 5: it's my personality. But I think think first and foremost,
[2:01] Speaker 5: it means friendships. The amount of friendships and relationships that
[2:07] Speaker 5: I've built because of this silly little show, because of
[2:10] Speaker 5: you guys acting like clowns on TV, is everything to me.
[2:14] Speaker 5: I met my clip one of my closest friends, Maddie,
[2:17] Speaker 5: who is the reason why I'm the father of two cats.
[2:22] Speaker 6: Now.
[2:23] Speaker 5: My fiance David and I have two babies, Violet and Klaus,
[2:26] Speaker 5: because our friend Maddie from the Glee fandom was like, Hey,
[2:29] Speaker 5: do you want a cat, And I'm just like, yeah, sure,
[2:32] Speaker 5: And sometimes i just look at her and I look
[2:35] Speaker 5: at them and I'm just like, Wow, you would not
[2:38] Speaker 5: be here if Glee, if I didn't obsess over lately
[2:41] Speaker 5: the way I did, you know, as a little gay boy,
[2:44] Speaker 5: and it just it means the world to me.
[2:46] Speaker 7: I love you guys.
[2:47] Speaker 5: You guys are fantastic and Kevin also side note we
[2:50] Speaker 5: met at the viper room at Austin show a couple
[2:53] Speaker 5: months back, but I.
[2:54] Speaker 8: Love you guys.
[2:55] Speaker 5: Congrats on the success of the podcast and I can't
[2:58] Speaker 5: wait to see where it goes.
[2:59] Speaker 7: Bye bye.
[3:00] Speaker 9: Hi Jenna and Kevin, thank you so much for giving
[3:02] Speaker 9: us the opportunity to speak about what Glee means to
[3:05] Speaker 9: us as fans. The feeling that Glee leaves me with
[3:08] Speaker 9: is definitely one of inspiration from all of the songs
[3:12] Speaker 9: and artists and genres that I was able to explore
[3:15] Speaker 9: and discover just from watching the show and hearing the
[3:18] Speaker 9: music As an artist myself, it feels so inspirational to
[3:23] Speaker 9: be able to hear those songs and see the journey
[3:27] Speaker 9: of the characters and try to take a piece of
[3:30] Speaker 9: that into my own life. And another feeling that the
[3:33] Speaker 9: show leaves me with is one of hope because of
[3:35] Speaker 9: the world that was created, not only by the writers
[3:39] Speaker 9: and by the actors, but also hope of a different time.
[3:43] Speaker 9: That when Glee ended, it seem that we were moving
[3:46] Speaker 9: forward in so many ways as a society, and even
[3:49] Speaker 9: though we've had setbacks in recent years, I do have
[3:53] Speaker 9: that hope that we'll get back to that world that
[3:55] Speaker 9: was created, especially in the finale of Glee.
[3:59] Speaker 10: Hi, Kevin and Jenny. My name is Diana and I'm
[4:01] Speaker 10: from the Metro Detroit area. The feeling that Glee leaves
[4:05] Speaker 10: me with is gratefulness. Glee came around at a time
[4:11] Speaker 10: that I was struggling both personally and professionally. I'm a
[4:17] Speaker 10: music teacher and I was teaching at an elementary school
[4:20] Speaker 10: at the time. Twenty ten, I started my first glee
[4:24] Speaker 10: club at my school and it went for three years
[4:27] Speaker 10: until I was transferred buildings. I don't know where I
[4:30] Speaker 10: would be if I had not had Glee. I've gotten
[4:35] Speaker 10: back into doing community theater and am thriving in my
[4:39] Speaker 10: current teaching position. I want to thank you for everything
[4:43] Speaker 10: and all of the years of fun, and I'm joining
[4:45] Speaker 10: my latest rewatch as we speak.
[4:48] Speaker 6: Hi, Hey Kevin, Hey Jenna. My name is Alan. The
[4:52] Speaker 6: feeling like Glee leaves me with is peace. Whenever rewatch
[4:56] Speaker 6: the show or listen to my Glee playlist or your podcast,
[4:59] Speaker 6: it's like coming up home to everything I love and
[5:01] Speaker 6: to the roots of my personality. Who I am now
[5:03] Speaker 6: is because of Glee. I get my absurd humor from Ian,
[5:07] Speaker 6: my magical realist opulent taste from Ryan, and my earnestness
[5:12] Speaker 6: comes from Brad. I'm also really proud to sing in
[5:16] Speaker 6: a gay men's chorus, and it's because Glee helped me
[5:18] Speaker 6: acceend my sexuality and made me fall in love with
[5:21] Speaker 6: music and performing. I feel like I'm in the new
[5:24] Speaker 6: directions of the Warblers every time I sing on stage.
[5:27] Speaker 6: So thank you both for what you're doing to spotlight
[5:30] Speaker 6: what a positive force Glee was then and also now.
[5:33] Speaker 6: And love you both.
[5:35] Speaker 11: Hi, Kevin and Jenna.
[5:36] Speaker 12: This is Nicole from Toronto, Canada and just wanted to
[5:41] Speaker 12: say love your show. I love listening to it. It's
[5:45] Speaker 12: my happy place. On Mondays or Tuesdays when I go
[5:47] Speaker 12: into work, I put my head EarPods in and I
[5:50] Speaker 12: listen away to your voices and get to laugh and
[5:55] Speaker 12: reminisce about the show that I level so much. And
[5:59] Speaker 12: what's the feeling Lee leaves me with? Well, there isn't
[6:03] Speaker 12: a day that Glee isn't on my TV somewhere. If
[6:06] Speaker 12: it's in the background, it's just my background noise. Every
[6:09] Speaker 12: once in a while, I pick up an, you know,
[6:11] Speaker 12: a line that I hadn't heard before or I have
[6:14] Speaker 12: heard before that just absolutely makes me laugh. And so,
[6:18] Speaker 12: you know, I don't want to see it leaves me Glee,
[6:22] Speaker 12: but it leaves me with such a good feeling, and
[6:28] Speaker 12: I just feel happy all the time. And I'm just
[6:30] Speaker 12: glad to have experienced a show like that. All the
[6:33] Speaker 12: characters are great, All the actors on a show are great.
[6:37] Speaker 12: This old lady at fifty loves the show about teenagers,
[6:41] Speaker 12: and I, you know, I let my my little girl
[6:44] Speaker 12: watch it, and she grew up watching it, and she's
[6:46] Speaker 12: twelve years old now and she's the most accepting person
[6:49] Speaker 12: in the world. And I love it. And it's all
[6:51] Speaker 12: because she watches Glee. And my niece as well, she
[6:55] Speaker 12: watches Glee, and it's the three of us together. We
[6:57] Speaker 12: love the show. It's our happy place and we thank
[7:01] Speaker 12: you guys. It was great and I'm going to miss
[7:03] Speaker 12: this show, but yes, thank you guys. All the actors
[7:07] Speaker 12: and producers and everybody that was involved with Glee think
[7:10] Speaker 12: you think you?
[7:10] Speaker 13: Thank you.
[7:11] Speaker 14: Hi, this is Kiara from Italy. Forgive the accent. I hope,
[7:15] Speaker 14: I hope I'm gonna make sense. Glee allowed itself to
[7:20] Speaker 14: exist while being imperfect, and the imperfections made it memorable
[7:26] Speaker 14: and different and so real for so many people. So
[7:30] Speaker 14: I kind of feel in an environment that we have
[7:34] Speaker 14: right now creatively, in which everything is meant to be
[7:37] Speaker 14: perfect and everybody feels so stuck by the judgment of others,
[7:41] Speaker 14: I feel like Glee leaves me with creative freedom. It
[7:45] Speaker 14: really does, because something doesn't need to be completely and utterly,
[7:50] Speaker 14: utterly perfect in order to have extreme worth and become
[7:55] Speaker 14: special to people. It just has to exist and be honest.
[7:59] Speaker 14: Thank you for everything, by.
[8:01] Speaker 15: Hi, Kevin and Jenna. My name is Carolina. Carolina. I
[8:07] Speaker 15: am from Mexico and the feeling Glee leaves me with
[8:12] Speaker 15: is Glee made me believe in my dreams, made me
[8:18] Speaker 15: encourage me to follow my dreams. I've always been a
[8:21] Speaker 15: theater girl. I danced for so many years, and actually
[8:27] Speaker 15: when I was watching Lee, I really thought I could
[8:31] Speaker 15: make it into Juilliard. Unfortunately I didn't. I didn't continue,
[8:38] Speaker 15: I didn't follow that dream, but I did. I did
[8:42] Speaker 15: find some others, and I don't know. I just love Glee.
[8:49] Speaker 15: I just love rewatching it. Getting this excitement of these
[8:54] Speaker 15: new songs, these new adventures and everything all you guys
[8:59] Speaker 15: went through is just amazing. Thank you so much for this,
[9:04] Speaker 15: this beautiful experience you have. You have given us all.
[9:08] Speaker 16: Hi Jenna, Hi Kevin. I'm Paulu or Paul and I'm
[9:11] Speaker 16: from Brazil. So what's the feeling that leaves me with?
[9:16] Speaker 16: To me is like a lingering feeling of belonging, because
[9:21] Speaker 16: first of all, Glee never left me. Glee is with
[9:25] Speaker 16: me every second from every day in my life. On
[9:27] Speaker 16: every new music he released, I'm first to make in
[9:30] Speaker 16: my mind a live version to it, like a crazy person.
[9:34] Speaker 16: But for real, it's being more than a decade and
[9:37] Speaker 16: we're still on an active community. It's like we never
[9:41] Speaker 16: left the choir room. We're still thinking about the songs,
[9:45] Speaker 16: all the Chris story lines, the couples, the friendships, the cast.
[9:49] Speaker 16: Naya Cory, it didn't left us. Lee's still here and
[9:53] Speaker 16: you always will. Thanks Kevin and Jenna. First you've been
[9:57] Speaker 16: here for us. I'm so excited for overcoming next for
[9:59] Speaker 16: the podcast. We'll be here for you too, Love you,
[10:03] Speaker 16: big presioning kisses.
[10:06] Speaker 17: Hi.
[10:06] Speaker 18: My name's Ali. I'm twenty seven and I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
[10:11] Speaker 18: Glee leaves me feeling inspired throughout life. Glee has inspired
[10:16] Speaker 18: me to get my BFA and musical theater, inspired me
[10:19] Speaker 18: to make the jump and move to a bigger city
[10:21] Speaker 18: from a small town. Inspired me to be myself through
[10:25] Speaker 18: and through, and continues to inspire me after each rewatch
[10:29] Speaker 18: as I grow older and something new sits with me
[10:31] Speaker 18: in a different way. There is no other show like it,
[10:34] Speaker 18: and I truly don't think there ever will be. Glee
[10:36] Speaker 18: changed my life.
[10:47] Speaker 19: Hi.
[10:47] Speaker 20: My name is Caroline from Florida, and the feeling that
[10:50] Speaker 20: Glee leaves me with is friendship. I started watching the
[10:53] Speaker 20: show in middle school when it premiered, and I was hooked.
[10:56] Speaker 20: I identified with Rachel as a Burnett Jewish girl with
[10:59] Speaker 20: big dreams, and I was eventually known as the girl
[11:02] Speaker 20: who loved Glee, and I still am basically see when
[11:06] Speaker 20: I was entering high school and having a hard time,
[11:09] Speaker 20: and the Glee characters often felt like my friends when
[11:11] Speaker 20: I didn't have many. I eventually transferred to a private
[11:15] Speaker 20: school because I got so bad, and in that period
[11:17] Speaker 20: I felt like Kurt when he went to Dalton. This
[11:20] Speaker 20: comparison helped me come out of my shell at the
[11:22] Speaker 20: new school and blossom. I eventually went to college and
[11:25] Speaker 20: remember watching the series finale, this time with a friend.
[11:29] Speaker 20: I've gotten to meet Darren and Leah at shows and
[11:31] Speaker 20: share this with them, and I've even gotten Jenna's autograph
[11:34] Speaker 20: in the mail with her book. Glee means so much
[11:36] Speaker 20: to me, and it still provides the sense of love
[11:39] Speaker 20: whenever I feel down.
[11:40] Speaker 21: Thank you so much for the podcast.
[11:42] Speaker 20: Having you guys in my ear every week and reminiscing
[11:44] Speaker 20: has felt like having you as friends all over again.
[11:47] Speaker 7: Hi.
[11:48] Speaker 22: My name is Barbara and I'm from Mexico and a
[11:51] Speaker 22: feeling that Glee gives me.
[11:53] Speaker 7: It's this feeling of wanting to.
[11:55] Speaker 22: Be part of the show, and I feel like I'm
[11:59] Speaker 22: part of the show that I'm not. They just the characters.
[12:04] Speaker 22: The whole bibe of the show gives you this feeling
[12:08] Speaker 22: like they would understand you, Like the show completely understands
[12:13] Speaker 22: the way you are, and it's amazing. It's like, I mean,
[12:17] Speaker 22: it's not tangible, it's not something that it's here talking
[12:21] Speaker 22: to me, but it's in some way it's comforting. It
[12:25] Speaker 22: gives you this warming feeling.
[12:27] Speaker 16: Hi.
[12:28] Speaker 23: This is Jaden, originally from Manchester, England, but currently living
[12:31] Speaker 23: in New Jersey. The feeling that Glee leaves me with
[12:36] Speaker 23: is versely it's a warm and fuzzy feeling like whenever
[12:40] Speaker 23: I watch the show or let's listen to the songs,
[12:43] Speaker 23: I'm straight away transported back to that fifteen year old
[12:48] Speaker 23: he was watching Glee and loving every minute of it.
[12:52] Speaker 23: But then also in a sentimental way. The feeling Glee
[12:57] Speaker 23: leaves me with is.
[12:58] Speaker 16: Family, is.
[13:01] Speaker 23: Camaraderie, is happiness. Is It reminds me that different people
[13:09] Speaker 23: can come together and for a shared unified goal in
[13:13] Speaker 23: the face of adversity. Right now, we're all going through
[13:17] Speaker 23: different extreme times across the world, but we need to
[13:22] Speaker 23: find our chosen people and they can help us get
[13:25] Speaker 23: through it. That's what Glee means.
[13:29] Speaker 16: Glee leaves me a way with the feeling.
[13:31] Speaker 23: Thank you so much for this podcast, and I can't
[13:35] Speaker 23: wait to see what's next.
[13:37] Speaker 24: Hey, Jenna and Kevin. This Josh first and foremost, I
[13:40] Speaker 24: just want to say justice for Tina. She deserved so
[13:44] Speaker 24: much better. But the feeling that Glee leaves me with,
[13:48] Speaker 24: I think is summed up by the plaque in the
[13:50] Speaker 24: show itself, which is Glee by its very definition, is
[13:54] Speaker 24: about opening yourself up to joy. It showed me that
[13:58] Speaker 24: there is joy in every thing in the arts, in music,
[14:01] Speaker 24: even the little weird things. Because let's face it, the
[14:05] Speaker 24: show got increasingly weird as it went on, but you know,
[14:08] Speaker 24: life is weird. Chasing your dreams is weird, especially in
[14:13] Speaker 24: the arts, but there is still so much joy to
[14:15] Speaker 24: be found in that weirdness as long as you're open
[14:18] Speaker 24: to it. The show came into my life when I
[14:21] Speaker 24: was an awkward, depressed, closeted nerd, and it helped me
[14:24] Speaker 24: see that I too had a voice that mattered, and
[14:27] Speaker 24: that I would get my time in the spotlight too.
[14:30] Speaker 24: It helped me realize that being cool was in everything.
[14:33] Speaker 24: The only thing worth being and celebrating was who I
[14:36] Speaker 24: really was, and through that it gave me some of
[14:39] Speaker 24: my most cherished times. We didn't always have money, but
[14:44] Speaker 24: we always had the music, and now I have the
[14:47] Speaker 24: memories too, and I am so so.
[14:49] Speaker 7: Thankful for that.
[14:50] Speaker 24: The show was a joy and getting to relive it
[14:53] Speaker 24: with you guys was a joy as well. So thank you.
[14:56] Speaker 18: Hi.
[14:57] Speaker 7: My name is Chris, Hi Kevin, Hi, Hi Jenna.
[15:01] Speaker 25: Feeling that Glee gives me is absolute joy. I have
[15:07] Speaker 25: probably rewatched the show ten thousand times, to the point
[15:10] Speaker 25: where people are probably sick of me. My boyfriend especially,
[15:15] Speaker 25: it's very hard for him to get hooked onto the show.
[15:20] Speaker 25: He's like, you're watching this again, But it's one of
[15:22] Speaker 25: my comfort shows. Even after you know, some of the
[15:26] Speaker 25: things that have happened, you know, as years went by,
[15:30] Speaker 25: it's still is something wonderful and something that I remember
[15:35] Speaker 25: is bringing me and some of my best friends together
[15:39] Speaker 25: that we would sit down and watch together back when
[15:42] Speaker 25: it was you know, when it was still normal to
[15:44] Speaker 25: sit down and watch network TV. So I wanted to
[15:47] Speaker 25: thank you for bringing me and my some of my
[15:50] Speaker 25: best friends together, and thank you for the opportunity to
[15:53] Speaker 25: let me record this for you guys today.
[15:55] Speaker 8: Hi, Jenner and Keevan, this is Verity cooling in from
[15:58] Speaker 8: New Zealand and the feeling that Glee leaves me with
[16:02] Speaker 8: is just immense gratitude.
[16:04] Speaker 26: So back in twenty ten, some people from my university
[16:09] Speaker 26: were inspired to start a glee club that because of
[16:13] Speaker 26: a TV show, and I joined it the very first
[16:16] Speaker 26: year because obviously, as a musical.
[16:17] Speaker 8: Theater not I had to go and join the glee
[16:19] Speaker 8: club at UNI.
[16:21] Speaker 26: And through it, I not only ended up becoming a
[16:24] Speaker 26: president and having an amazing time and it taught me
[16:26] Speaker 26: so much, but I also met some of my best
[16:29] Speaker 26: friends who I'm still friends with today, and I would
[16:32] Speaker 26: never have known them if it wasn't for you guys
[16:34] Speaker 26: and for the TV show. And while I loved watching
[16:37] Speaker 26: it and I know still I did the whole rewatch
[16:40] Speaker 26: with you.
[16:41] Speaker 8: Guys, and I absolutely loved it.
[16:42] Speaker 26: But the thing that I'm really grateful for is that
[16:44] Speaker 26: it completely changed my life and introduced me to some
[16:47] Speaker 26: of the best people I know. So thank you so
[16:49] Speaker 26: much for that and for everything that you've done.
[16:53] Speaker 11: Hi, everyone, I'm sorry.
[16:55] Speaker 27: I'll love for Mealy. I discovered the Green two thousand
[16:57] Speaker 27: and nine when I was barely loving and full of curiosity.
[17:01] Speaker 27: It helped me to feel braver, open minded, and kind
[17:04] Speaker 27: towards the world in its diversity. It was essential into
[17:08] Speaker 27: shaping the woman that I am today and the way
[17:10] Speaker 27: that I think can see the world around me. Re
[17:13] Speaker 27: assured me that be respectful and kind towards others. It's
[17:16] Speaker 27: fundamental and can help you feel better about yourself. Leads
[17:20] Speaker 27: me with great joy, pride, and a little bit of nostalgia.
[17:24] Speaker 27: So thank you give family for everything that you taught me.
[17:27] Speaker 27: That love is love and that's all that matter. You
[17:30] Speaker 27: all have a special place in my heart with lots
[17:32] Speaker 27: of love.
[17:32] Speaker 11: Bye.
[17:34] Speaker 16: Hi.
[17:34] Speaker 21: My name is Chloe and after watching Glee I feel
[17:38] Speaker 21: really really excited and happy because I get a really
[17:43] Speaker 21: strong urge to listen to Lee covers and analyze literally
[17:47] Speaker 21: every single plot point from like every single episode ever
[17:52] Speaker 21: with my friends and just tell them everything I noticed
[17:54] Speaker 21: in my theories and just.
[17:57] Speaker 24: A lot of other stuff.
[18:00] Speaker 21: I also consume a lot of fan medium of Glee
[18:02] Speaker 21: on other pieces on the internet.
[18:04] Speaker 28: Yeah, thank you, Hi, Kevin and Jenna. My name is Elena.
[18:07] Speaker 28: I'm twenty eight. I'm from Seattle. I would consider myself
[18:11] Speaker 28: a day one gleek. I started watching Glee as it
[18:15] Speaker 28: was premiering on TV when I was in middle school,
[18:18] Speaker 28: and since then I probably rewatched the show over a
[18:21] Speaker 28: million times and can quote it front to back like
[18:24] Speaker 28: it's my job. But what I would say the feeling
[18:28] Speaker 28: Glee leaves me with is pride because when I first
[18:31] Speaker 28: started watching Glee in middle school, I didn't know that
[18:34] Speaker 28: I was a lesbian, and just watching and rewatching Santana's
[18:38] Speaker 28: storyline of coming out to Aboula as I got older,
[18:43] Speaker 28: and a lot of different coming out storylines that happened
[18:46] Speaker 28: over the course of the show made me realize that
[18:48] Speaker 28: I was a lesbian and helped me to be more
[18:51] Speaker 28: comfortable with identifying as a lesbian. So, yeah, pride is
[18:55] Speaker 28: probably what I would say.
[18:56] Speaker 7: The feeling Glee leaves me with is.
[18:59] Speaker 29: Hi, my name is Nola Meyer, and this is the
[19:03] Speaker 29: feeling that Glee leaves me with. The feeling Glee leaves
[19:06] Speaker 29: me with is like being emotionally mugged by a glitter cannon.
[19:11] Speaker 29: You go in expecting a quirky high school musical and
[19:14] Speaker 29: by the end you're crying over a slow motion Hallway
[19:18] Speaker 29: performance of Cough Syrup, questioning your life choices and contemplating
[19:22] Speaker 29: if slushies are a legitimate form of conflict resolution. Confused
[19:27] Speaker 29: by sus Sylvester just monologued about world peace in a tracksuit,
[19:31] Speaker 29: and somehow I'm sitting there invested in seventeen overlapping love triangles,
[19:36] Speaker 29: none of which makes sense, yet all of which I
[19:39] Speaker 29: care about deeply. It's hilarious because it shouldn't work, and
[19:43] Speaker 29: yet it does, like a chaotic fever dream choreographed by
[19:47] Speaker 29: Broadway and sponsored by Emotional Whiplash.
[19:51] Speaker 30: Hey Denna, Hey Kevin, this is Melissa. I'm a huge
[19:55] Speaker 30: fan of Glee. I'm a huge fan of your podcast.
[19:58] Speaker 30: And yeah, the feeling that Glee leaves me with is
[20:03] Speaker 30: just passion for the music.
[20:07] Speaker 31: It's the feeling to be, to be, to be who
[20:14] Speaker 31: I want to be, to not care what others think
[20:17] Speaker 31: of me, and to always live out my dream whatever
[20:23] Speaker 31: the people say.
[20:24] Speaker 30: And I should never ever underestimate myself. This is what
[20:28] Speaker 30: I learned from Great Glee, and this is what I
[20:31] Speaker 30: always learn when I come back and watch this TV
[20:35] Speaker 30: show over and over again. I learn it every single lay.
[20:39] Speaker 30: I learned it from all the characters. I am so
[20:42] Speaker 30: thankful for every single actor, every single character that was
[20:45] Speaker 30: ever on the show. You help me a lot in
[20:48] Speaker 30: chasing my dream. Thank you so much. I love you.
[20:50] Speaker 32: Hi Kevin and Jender. My name is Edward the feeling
[20:54] Speaker 32: that Glee leaves me with his happiness as someone with autism.
[20:58] Speaker 32: Glee has been a huge comfort in my life. It
[21:01] Speaker 32: makes me feel safe, inspired, and understood in a way
[21:04] Speaker 32: that's few shows ever have. The characters, the music, the friendships.
[21:09] Speaker 32: They've given me so much joy as they remind me
[21:12] Speaker 32: that there's always a place where I belong. That's the
[21:16] Speaker 32: feeling Glee will always leave me with.
[21:19] Speaker 31: Hi.
[21:20] Speaker 33: My name is Ellington Campbell. I'm sixteen years old and
[21:24] Speaker 33: I live in Vancouver, British Columbia. The feeling that Lee
[21:29] Speaker 33: leaves me with is acceptance. Glee has changed the way
[21:32] Speaker 33: I interact and share myself with other people. It's made
[21:36] Speaker 33: me feel like the things I am passionate about, namely
[21:39] Speaker 33: musical and theater and theater which I want to pursue
[21:42] Speaker 33: after high school, are just as important as more conventional interests,
[21:47] Speaker 33: and has inspired me to be the person I am today.
[21:50] Speaker 33: Thank you Jenna and Kevin for this incredible podcast. It's
[21:53] Speaker 33: meant so much to me.
[21:55] Speaker 34: Hi, Kevin and Jenna, I'm Gliemi and I'm from Brazio.
[21:58] Speaker 34: I fell in love with Glee the moment I saw
[22:00] Speaker 34: trailer for the pilot back in two thousand and nine.
[22:02] Speaker 34: So I consider myself one of the og Brazilian Greeks
[22:05] Speaker 34: and the feeling that Glee leaves me with is plots
[22:08] Speaker 34: and lots of love. If it wasn't for Glee, I
[22:10] Speaker 34: wouldn't have met the love of my life, my now husband, Leo.
[22:13] Speaker 34: We've been together for ten years and we met and
[22:16] Speaker 34: shared our first kiss in a Glee celebration party that
[22:20] Speaker 34: happened the weekend before the finale originally aired in March
[22:23] Speaker 34: twenty fifteen. And although Glee was an integral part of
[22:27] Speaker 34: our love story, we had never watched the series together
[22:30] Speaker 34: until you guys started the podcast, so we rewatched the
[22:34] Speaker 34: entire show together for the first time because of you
[22:37] Speaker 34: listening to every single episode of the podcast. And the
[22:40] Speaker 34: craziest coincidence is we saw the last episode of the
[22:43] Speaker 34: show in our two year marriage anniversary this past July.
[22:46] Speaker 34: So you guys were and still are very important to us,
[22:50] Speaker 34: and for that I say thank you, and Jenna come
[22:53] Speaker 34: to Brazil with Kevin the next time.
[22:54] Speaker 35: Okay, bye, Hi Jenna, Hi Kevin. This is Connie. I'm
[22:59] Speaker 35: from England in the UK. The only way I can
[23:03] Speaker 35: think to describe The feeling that Glee leaves me with
[23:06] Speaker 35: is you know, that feeling of safety and comfort when
[23:11] Speaker 35: you're at home. Maybe you're on the sofa, wrapped up
[23:14] Speaker 35: under a blanket at the end of the day. Maybe
[23:17] Speaker 35: you've got dogs or pets or cats or whatever it
[23:20] Speaker 35: is surrounding you, maybe kids, maybe another half, or maybe
[23:23] Speaker 35: you're just happy on your own company. But you are
[23:26] Speaker 35: at home and you have just that feeling of safety
[23:30] Speaker 35: and comfort and warmth.
[23:32] Speaker 11: Of being at home.
[23:34] Speaker 35: That is how I feel anytime I watch or think
[23:37] Speaker 35: about Glee. And I didn't feel that very much growing up,
[23:40] Speaker 35: so having Glee was a massive comfort. But yeah, thank
[23:45] Speaker 35: you both for doing this and for doing this podcast.
[23:48] Speaker 35: Lots of love to both of you. Thank you.
[23:50] Speaker 30: Hi.
[23:51] Speaker 8: I'm Nadia.
[23:52] Speaker 36: And the feeling that Glee lazy with is just joy,
[23:57] Speaker 36: Like there's no other way, Like I don't even know
[23:59] Speaker 36: how to describe it.
[24:00] Speaker 8: It's my comfort show.
[24:02] Speaker 36: It's always there for me after a long day or
[24:04] Speaker 36: even a fine day, if I just want to watch it.
[24:07] Speaker 36: I feel connected to the cast like they're my family,
[24:11] Speaker 36: Like you guys are all my family, and you know
[24:13] Speaker 36: I've been there for all you go through and it's
[24:15] Speaker 36: just the most iconic show, and I feel bad for
[24:20] Speaker 36: anyone who has not watched Glee because they're really missing out.
[24:31] Speaker 7: Hey, Kevin and Jenna, it's James Hander the second here.
[24:34] Speaker 37: If I could say one word that Glee leaves me with,
[24:38] Speaker 37: not to reference the show itself, but is courage. Glee
[24:44] Speaker 37: came out at a time when I was a freshman
[24:47] Speaker 37: in high school. I graduated the same time the characters
[24:49] Speaker 37: did in season three. I started a glee club at
[24:52] Speaker 37: my high school because of it. It really got me
[24:55] Speaker 37: out of my shell and got me into performing way
[25:01] Speaker 37: more out of my comfort zone than I normally had.
[25:05] Speaker 37: And it made me stronger because it helped me come
[25:10] Speaker 37: out and be more accepting of myself after seeing so
[25:15] Speaker 37: many characters on the show, Santana, Kurt Blaine, even Karowski later.
[25:22] Speaker 7: Just make me a stronger person.
[25:25] Speaker 37: And I love you watching it every year.
[25:28] Speaker 7: Basically, thanks guys.
[25:31] Speaker 19: E Kevin and Jenna. My name is Chastity from New
[25:34] Speaker 19: Jersey and the feeling that Glee leads me with is
[25:37] Speaker 19: a feeling of comfort. I once read that people rewatch
[25:41] Speaker 19: shows when they feel like the world is unpredictable or
[25:46] Speaker 19: scary because it gives them a comforting feeling the show
[25:52] Speaker 19: being predictable to them, them being familiar with what's going
[25:56] Speaker 19: to happen. It really just kind of helps when everything
[26:00] Speaker 19: maybe outside of your world is maybe.
[26:05] Speaker 13: Not as predictable. And I feel like Glee is that
[26:09] Speaker 13: is one of those shows for me. I know that
[26:12] Speaker 13: no matter how many times I rewatch, i am going
[26:16] Speaker 13: to laugh, I'm going to cry, I'm going to be
[26:19] Speaker 13: excited for the characters, and overall just feel comfortable watching
[26:24] Speaker 13: the show, knowing what's going to happen, and just feeling
[26:28] Speaker 13: happy as I'm watching it.
[26:31] Speaker 38: Hi, Jenny and Kevin man named Charlotte and I'm from
[26:33] Speaker 38: Yorkshire in the UK. I'm so glad you put this
[26:36] Speaker 38: question out there, because I love when you ask your
[26:39] Speaker 38: guests this question. But for me, I couldn't really pinpoint
[26:43] Speaker 38: one word to describe the feeling that Glee leaves me with.
[26:47] Speaker 38: So I've just thought of a lot of words that
[26:49] Speaker 38: kind of encompass it for me as a whole. Comfort, happiness, sadness, familiarity, warms, joy, love, acceptance, community, grateful, inspired, safe,
[27:06] Speaker 38: and thankful. Glee is just my show. I watch it
[27:10] Speaker 38: all the time, constantly watching Glee, and it ultimately does
[27:14] Speaker 38: the right, it says in the tin, it brings glee
[27:17] Speaker 38: into my life and lots of other people's lives, which
[27:20] Speaker 38: may sound a bit cornet, but I don't care. I
[27:23] Speaker 38: just love it so much and thank you so much
[27:25] Speaker 38: for doing this podcast. I've just really enjoyed listening to
[27:28] Speaker 38: it every week.
[27:29] Speaker 39: Hi'm Linda Jane, and I have been a massive, massive
[27:31] Speaker 39: bleak since the age of three, ever since I watched
[27:34] Speaker 39: the time warp scene. I did not watch the full episode,
[27:39] Speaker 39: so no worries there at the edge of three. But
[27:43] Speaker 39: when I watched that scene, I immediately fell in love
[27:45] Speaker 39: with the show, and I knew that this was going
[27:47] Speaker 39: to become a huge part of my life, and it did.
[27:50] Speaker 39: It got me through my parents' divorce, It got me
[27:52] Speaker 39: through COVID.
[27:54] Speaker 40: It got me through so many dark holes in my life.
[27:57] Speaker 40: So I just want to first off, thank you guys
[27:59] Speaker 40: so much for being a big part of my life.
[28:01] Speaker 40: And that show has just brought me so much comfort
[28:04] Speaker 40: and enjoy Watching you guys in that choir room, it
[28:09] Speaker 40: just felt like I was in that choir room with
[28:10] Speaker 40: you guys, and it just brought me. It still brings
[28:13] Speaker 40: me so much comfort and happiness and glee you know, obviously,
[28:19] Speaker 40: but it really expanded my love for music, which is
[28:22] Speaker 40: a big part of my life as well. And I
[28:24] Speaker 40: just want to just thank.
[28:25] Speaker 39: You guys for making that show so great and it's
[28:29] Speaker 39: my favorite show of all time and it just means
[28:33] Speaker 39: so much to me.
[28:34] Speaker 7: I am a leak for life.
[28:36] Speaker 41: Hi, Kevin and Jenna, Oh my gosh, I can't believe
[28:39] Speaker 41: I'm doing this. My name is Hannah, and I am
[28:42] Speaker 41: y'all's biggest fan. I've watched Glee over and over again
[28:47] Speaker 41: so many times since I was in the sixth grade.
[28:49] Speaker 41: I probably watched it at least like three times a year.
[28:53] Speaker 41: My family and my best friend gets sick of me
[28:56] Speaker 41: rewatching it because I know, like the dance moves, a dialogue,
[28:59] Speaker 41: the music and everything. But I would say that Glee
[29:03] Speaker 41: leaves me the feeling with comfort. Literally no one has
[29:06] Speaker 41: said that until I think the most recent episodes and
[29:09] Speaker 41: I was like, oh my gosh, like what, but yeah,
[29:14] Speaker 41: the feeling Glee leaves me with is comfort. It's definitely
[29:16] Speaker 41: my comfort show. Whatever move I'm in, I know I
[29:20] Speaker 41: can always rely on the show making me just feel
[29:23] Speaker 41: better and uplifted and at home. It's just so nostalgic
[29:26] Speaker 41: for me and I love it. Thank you guys so
[29:28] Speaker 41: much for doing this podcast and I can't wait to
[29:31] Speaker 41: see what the future holds.
[29:32] Speaker 21: Love you guys.
[29:33] Speaker 42: Bye, Hi, Kevin, Hi Jenna. This is tatio Na from Brazil.
[29:37] Speaker 42: And the feeling that Glee leaves me with is just
[29:40] Speaker 42: a feeling normal and seen and included because I started
[29:46] Speaker 42: watching the show when I was thirteen, and I went
[29:48] Speaker 42: back and watched the whole sentence coming out and her
[29:52] Speaker 42: figuring out her relationship with Brittany and her sexuality, and
[29:56] Speaker 42: I was going through that myself as a young girl.
[30:00] Speaker 42: Seeing yourself on TV at that time was not the
[30:02] Speaker 42: easiest thing. So having that representation was so important to
[30:07] Speaker 42: me and to so many other people who are fans
[30:10] Speaker 42: of the show to this day, because I think for
[30:13] Speaker 42: everyone there was a character who went through something like
[30:16] Speaker 42: them or who looked like them. And that's why I
[30:18] Speaker 42: think the show is still so important to me because
[30:21] Speaker 42: it shaped me in a way and they created this
[30:24] Speaker 42: sense of community the lasts to this day of being
[30:27] Speaker 42: included and that. Guys, I love the podcast, Love you guys,
[30:33] Speaker 42: Thank you Bye.
[30:34] Speaker 30: Hi.
[30:35] Speaker 17: My name is Sophie. I'm from Sweden and the feeling
[30:38] Speaker 17: that Glee leaves me with is the feeling of healing.
[30:43] Speaker 17: I've always said that if I need something to pick
[30:47] Speaker 17: me up, you know, whether I'm feeling sick or just
[30:50] Speaker 17: feeling very down or sad, I've watched an episode of
[30:55] Speaker 17: Glee and it works like medicine, and it's still the
[30:59] Speaker 17: same today, sixteen years later. So I'm so grateful for
[31:03] Speaker 17: Gilee and also all the inspiration and thank you guys
[31:08] Speaker 17: for a great podcast.
[31:10] Speaker 43: Hello, fellow Gleek's. My name is Stephanie, and the feeling
[31:13] Speaker 43: that Glee leaves me with is just pure joy. This
[31:18] Speaker 43: show means the absolute world to me and will always
[31:21] Speaker 43: hold a special place in my heart.
[31:24] Speaker 5: To me, it's more than just a show.
[31:26] Speaker 43: It feels like life itself at times, with all of
[31:29] Speaker 43: its ups and downs. There's joy, and there's laughter and humor,
[31:33] Speaker 43: but also there's some heartbreak and loss too. It shows
[31:38] Speaker 43: kind of what it means to win and to fail,
[31:41] Speaker 43: to love and to grieve too. And the fact that
[31:44] Speaker 43: all of these moments are expressed through music makes it even.
[31:48] Speaker 7: More moving of an experience.
[31:50] Speaker 43: It's a reminder and a love letter to us all
[31:52] Speaker 43: that no matter what we go through, there's always love
[31:55] Speaker 43: and family and always a song to carry us through.
[32:00] Speaker 7: Thank you Glee.
[32:01] Speaker 11: Hi, my name is Wednesday, and the feeling that Glee
[32:04] Speaker 11: leaves for me is to keep on believing in yourself
[32:07] Speaker 11: and keep on going no matter how many times you
[32:10] Speaker 11: get pushed down, just get back up on your feet
[32:13] Speaker 11: and keep going. That's the feeling that Glee leaves with me.
[32:17] Speaker 30: Hi, Kevin and Jenna.
[32:19] Speaker 44: My name is Bailey, and I would say the feeling
[32:22] Speaker 44: that Glee leaves me with is community. Like no matter
[32:28] Speaker 44: what happened to those characters, they all found their way
[32:33] Speaker 44: back to each.
[32:33] Speaker 19: Other, and.
[32:36] Speaker 44: Like literally no matter what happened, like despite all the
[32:40] Speaker 44: craziness that there was in the show, despite literally every
[32:48] Speaker 44: like maddening and confusing thing that ever happened to them,
[32:54] Speaker 44: no matter what happened, they always found their way back
[32:57] Speaker 44: to each other. And That's what I've always loved about
[33:00] Speaker 44: it and why I always go back and rewatch it
[33:03] Speaker 44: because I love that feeling of community and that no
[33:09] Speaker 44: matter what anybody goes through, no matter how bad it is.
[33:14] Speaker 4: They always found their way back to each other. Thank you, guys,
[33:17] Speaker 4: so much, to every every one of you who sent

[33:27] Speaker 4: This podcast wouldn't exist without you and live on. So
[33:31] Speaker 4: just hearing how what the feelings are, how what Glee
[33:35] Speaker 4: left me with, how it's touched you, how it's changed you,
[33:39] Speaker 4: how it's raised you, means the world does and we
[33:44] Speaker 4: really really so so it's so grateful.
