[0:01] Speaker 1: And That's what you Really missed with Jenna.
[0:04] Speaker 2: And Kevin an iHeartRadio.
[0:06] Speaker 1: Podcast, Welcome to and That's what you Really missed podcast.
[0:12] Speaker 2: Hello Kevin, Hello Jenna. How's it going pretty good? How
[0:17] Speaker 2: are you doing good things?
[0:19] Speaker 3: I think it's so funny that, like we we used
[0:21] Speaker 3: to speak like a lot, but we both have like
[0:22] Speaker 3: a lot going on, and I don't feel like we
[0:25] Speaker 3: talk as often as we did before, which is like fine,
[0:28] Speaker 3: But I always know I'm going to see you to
[0:32] Speaker 3: do this podcast, and so I'm like, it's fine, I'll
[0:34] Speaker 3: see him this week.
[0:35] Speaker 1: True, but we never get to actually catch up.
[0:38] Speaker 2: Yeah, here we are. This is this is just a
[0:41] Speaker 2: FaceTime basically between us, you know, welcome okay. Actually, yeah, So.
[0:49] Speaker 3: I had a dream last night and I had tickets
[0:54] Speaker 3: to Just in Time, but it was the vatinee and
[0:58] Speaker 3: not the evening show, and it was wrong.
[1:01] Speaker 1: I didn't make it. But I think it's because I
[1:03] Speaker 1: saw a photo of you, yes going to justin Time.
[1:07] Speaker 2: I went to some Time yesterday storrying the one and
[1:09] Speaker 2: only Jonathan Gross.
[1:10] Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, and Sarah Hyland and you saw Matt Morrison.
[1:15] Speaker 1: What's going on?
[1:17] Speaker 2: I went with my spelling Bee co star Leanna because
[1:21] Speaker 2: she was and merrily we roll along with Ohka Cross
[1:25] Speaker 2: and so we went to go see Just in Time
[1:28] Speaker 2: because I haven't seen it yet. And we went back
[1:31] Speaker 2: to see Jonathan and when I got to his dressing room,
[1:34] Speaker 2: he's like, look who's here and then pulls Matt Morrison
[1:38] Speaker 2: out of the corner. I was like, and he's like
[1:41] Speaker 2: hitting me, And then I turned around and Sarah Hiland
[1:43] Speaker 2: comes in and is like, what what is happening?
[1:47] Speaker 3: Yeah?
[1:50] Speaker 2: I know, it was really nice.
[1:53] Speaker 1: Were you in the Circle in the Square? Yes, my
[1:56] Speaker 1: favorite theater where a Spelling Bee originated.
[1:59] Speaker 2: Correct, Yeah, And we walked in Landa was like, Jonathan
[2:03] Speaker 2: wasn't here?
[2:04] Speaker 3: This is where That's funny. How was the theater and
[2:08] Speaker 3: everything like sot out like so cool?
[2:10] Speaker 2: I mean because I think last show I saw there
[2:12] Speaker 2: was your show, which has sand like beneath people's feet
[2:19] Speaker 2: and things. Yes, yes, it looks beautiful, by the way,
[2:24] Speaker 2: like once on the Silent episode was incredible.
[2:27] Speaker 1: This looks like Vegas though it.
[2:29] Speaker 2: Does, and it is so beautiful though it is, like
[2:33] Speaker 2: it's incredible. All the walls are draped in like that curtain,
[2:35] Speaker 2: you know, like the the drape the saggy curtain.
[2:40] Speaker 1: I love it.
[2:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, And there's like they have like sconces hanging down
[2:45] Speaker 2: from the ceiling all throughout the entire theater.
[2:47] Speaker 3: Is it supposed to feel like a like a theater
[2:50] Speaker 3: are supposed to feel like some other like a different venue.
[2:52] Speaker 2: I think it's supposed to feel like a Vegas you know,
[2:55] Speaker 2: more like a style but a New York type thing.
[2:58] Speaker 1: Okay, fair enough.
[2:59] Speaker 2: That's so like a dinner theater because the stage is
[3:05] Speaker 2: on one end like a normal stage. But then they
[3:08] Speaker 2: have on the floor like six seats or like they
[3:12] Speaker 2: have two tables, two person tables.
[3:15] Speaker 1: Like you said at a two person table.
[3:17] Speaker 2: No, I did not.
[3:17] Speaker 3: Oh there's other there's seats too, Okay, yeah, there's I
[3:21] Speaker 3: remember seeing the Cabaret revival pre this Cabaret revival.
[3:30] Speaker 1: With Emma Stone and we sat in tables.
[3:33] Speaker 2: Was it circle in the Square?
[3:34] Speaker 1: No, it was maybe fifty four, I can't remember, but
[3:38] Speaker 1: it was fun.
[3:39] Speaker 2: They have like at the back of it, they have
[3:41] Speaker 2: like a B stage, like a little tiny B stage.
[3:44] Speaker 2: They use the aisles. It's just nice. They're really using
[3:47] Speaker 2: the space, which is really cool. And Jonathan obviously, who's
[3:51] Speaker 2: just like the most charming person is all over that
[3:54] Speaker 2: floor and it's going up to people, and he's a
[3:58] Speaker 2: lot of the characters are weaving in between and a
[4:00] Speaker 2: lot of those people sitting at the tables on the stage.
[4:03] Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, wow, fun time.
[4:06] Speaker 2: He sings like twenty something songs. I think he's only
[4:08] Speaker 2: off stage for like two minutes minus the.
[4:10] Speaker 1: Intermission, spitting all over the place.
[4:12] Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's just he took his first vacation, so
[4:15] Speaker 2: this is his first show back. So he was a
[4:17] Speaker 2: little pumped, or as he told me, he was amped.
[4:21] Speaker 1: I love that he took a vacation. Good for him.
[4:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, he deserves it. He has a couple months left.
[4:27] Speaker 1: Yes, I saw that.
[4:28] Speaker 3: Darren and Helen also announced their departures from their shows,
[4:33] Speaker 3: and Leah.
[4:35] Speaker 1: Just extended their run. Yeah through the summer. That's exciting.
[4:39] Speaker 2: To my birthday.
[4:41] Speaker 1: That's right to your birthday.
[4:43] Speaker 3: Are you feeling settled in New York? Have you found
[4:45] Speaker 3: your spots? Have you found your places? Do you grocery shop?
[4:48] Speaker 3: Likes the what's the vibe? How do you live in
[4:50] Speaker 3: New York? Like?
[4:51] Speaker 1: How do you move from New York?
[4:53] Speaker 2: I don't feel settled in that way. I definitely don't
[4:58] Speaker 2: have spots, got it. I haven't like cooked for myself
[5:06] Speaker 2: outside oh Jenna. Yesterday with the Wind Show, it was
[5:10] Speaker 2: four degrees awful. This weekend's going to be that again.
[5:16] Speaker 2: So no, I don't really have it in that way.
[5:18] Speaker 2: I will say, though, I'm starting to feel settled within
[5:23] Speaker 2: the show. So now I feel like I can start
[5:26] Speaker 2: building your life a life outside of it.
[5:28] Speaker 1: That makes sense, That makes total sense. You just have
[5:31] Speaker 1: to focus on mutching at a time. I get it.
[5:32] Speaker 2: Yeah. And I was talking to like Sarah Hyland about
[5:35] Speaker 2: this last night because she's she has to like sing
[5:40] Speaker 2: up in the rafters for her part, and she's like,
[5:43] Speaker 2: I can't do anything. She's like, I don't have a
[5:45] Speaker 2: life here. I'm like, okay, because every time I just
[5:48] Speaker 2: start to feel like I'm crazy or being like a
[5:51] Speaker 2: little overprotective of myself or like my voice. Yeah, for sure,
[5:56] Speaker 2: I don't think it is. I think it's just And
[5:58] Speaker 2: I talked to Matt and Jonathan like, no, that's what
[6:00] Speaker 2: you kind of have to do, and you do sacrifice
[6:04] Speaker 2: a bit, and like, yeah, I can't just go like
[6:07] Speaker 2: hang out in bars with people and talk over that. No,
[6:09] Speaker 2: for sure, Like that's fine, Like whatever.
[6:12] Speaker 1: You'll find your way to like relax, have fun.
[6:16] Speaker 2: And I also talk to Sarah about we should have
[6:18] Speaker 2: her on. But she went from doing Gatsby, she did
[6:26] Speaker 2: little Shop, Little Shops into Gatsby, and then like two
[6:29] Speaker 2: months off.
[6:30] Speaker 1: And then it's just in time. Crazy.
[6:32] Speaker 3: She's having a renaissance in her theater life. I love
[6:36] Speaker 3: this for.
[6:36] Speaker 2: Her because she was She was saying growing up, she's
[6:39] Speaker 2: known you since you guys each other as your children,
[6:42] Speaker 2: along with Andrea Bowen. But she was saying, how like
[6:46] Speaker 2: when she was a little kid, she was doing a
[6:48] Speaker 2: lot of TV and film. All she wanted to do
[6:50] Speaker 2: was theater. Then like all the theater kids were like,
[6:53] Speaker 2: we want to do TV and yes, it's so right. Yeah,
[6:55] Speaker 2: And so now she's getting to actually, yeah, really do.
[6:59] Speaker 1: It, do it? That's yeah, no fun fun.
[7:02] Speaker 2: Yes.
[7:04] Speaker 3: I saw this post that you posted, reposted about on
[7:09] Speaker 3: a ten hour flight where are you sitting? That I
[7:11] Speaker 3: wanted to talk about, and you said that ten is unmatched,
[7:15] Speaker 3: And before I even looked at it, I was.
[7:17] Speaker 1: Like, I'd better be in that asle. Oh yeah, but
[7:21] Speaker 1: we're both in that aisle.
[7:22] Speaker 2: Yeah, because well, here's the thing I think I was
[7:27] Speaker 2: thinking more. I wasn't thinking character. I was thinking person
[7:33] Speaker 2: because I'm like having Naya in front of you, having
[7:37] Speaker 2: Chris behind you dianaside. Yeah, it's a good come on. Yeah,
[7:42] Speaker 2: like that's gonna be the dream seating situation. Alex Nole
[7:49] Speaker 2: responded and was like, I'm firmly in six, which is
[7:53] Speaker 2: next time I remember, and across from Grobin.
[7:58] Speaker 1: Grob and I like, Grobin's in there.
[8:01] Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a there's some Michael Malley Stephen Tabolowski, which
[8:06] Speaker 3: I thought would be a hoot. Oh yeah, but then
[8:09] Speaker 3: the I think the next one that I would sit
[8:11] Speaker 3: in is next to the Britanna.
[8:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, totally.
[8:14] Speaker 1: But it's we're all close to each other. We're all
[8:16] Speaker 1: close to each other.
[8:17] Speaker 2: Yeah. The thing is is I have sat in a
[8:20] Speaker 2: row with Naya.
[8:23] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and it's no, not fun.
[8:26] Speaker 2: It's like her Ambers not No, Mike, I don't want
[8:29] Speaker 2: to sit in there.
[8:30] Speaker 1: The anxiety rose close.
[8:32] Speaker 2: Fine.
[8:32] Speaker 1: Oh, I have a question for you. How's your Traders going? Oh, Jenna,
[8:39] Speaker 1: how is it going?
[8:40] Speaker 2: Is it working? Yes, it is going so well. Oh
[8:45] Speaker 2: my god, because it went from like a lot of
[8:47] Speaker 2: people being into it. Oh, I'm so glad you asked honestly,
[8:52] Speaker 2: I have talked about traders so much. Are you watching watching?
[8:58] Speaker 1: We are playing, playing.
[9:00] Speaker 2: And I'm in so many different like subsets of group
[9:03] Speaker 2: chats because people don't know who to trust.
[9:05] Speaker 1: Oh that's crazy, it is. Oh, it's so good.
[9:10] Speaker 2: So what we do is on Saturdays, in between shows,
[9:15] Speaker 2: in between shows, we have our challenges.
[9:20] Speaker 1: You actually have challenges.
[9:22] Speaker 2: Yes, Lily is Alan coming? She puts on a wig
[9:26] Speaker 2: in a costume.
[9:27] Speaker 1: No, yes, oh my god.
[9:30] Speaker 2: So she and her cover Cecilia is like associate Alan coming.
[9:41] Speaker 2: And then we have on Sunday is when the Trader's murder?
[9:48] Speaker 1: Okay, okay.
[9:49] Speaker 2: And then so this past Sunday there was a murder
[9:53] Speaker 2: in plain Sight in Yes, so we had two shows
[9:58] Speaker 2: on Sunday. So it happened, as Lily said, it happened
[10:01] Speaker 2: at some point curtain of the first show, between then
[10:07] Speaker 2: and curtain of the second show. So we don't really know,
[10:09] Speaker 2: but we have theories, and we've even pulled tape from
[10:13] Speaker 2: the evening show to check something. I don't know if
[10:17] Speaker 2: I should be saying all this.
[10:18] Speaker 1: This is amazing, it's.
[10:23] Speaker 2: Fun, Oh, Jenna. After it was Sunday night, I went
[10:27] Speaker 2: to like a bar with two of the guys from
[10:30] Speaker 2: the show, and all we talked about was trader.
[10:32] Speaker 1: Do you guys?
[10:35] Speaker 2: Oh so Thursday is on the other two show day
[10:38] Speaker 2: is roundtable.
[10:40] Speaker 3: That's fun. That's really fun. This is successful, this is great.
[10:44] Speaker 3: I'm happy to hear this works.
[10:45] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy.
[10:46] Speaker 3: So far how far bother you guys in the journey?
[10:49] Speaker 3: Like you have it planned out?
[10:51] Speaker 1: Like she must have planned it out where she knows
[10:53] Speaker 1: like when the end?
[10:55] Speaker 2: Right, I think the end at this rate is going
[10:58] Speaker 2: to be in like the the end of the first
[11:00] Speaker 2: week of April.
[11:02] Speaker 3: Oh, you guys are really moving slow. I mean I
[11:05] Speaker 3: think that they should film this thing in like a month.
[11:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's I think it may be even.
[11:10] Speaker 1: Less than that.
[11:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, because they have like a murdering banishment every day.
[11:14] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like two weeks. I think.
[11:16] Speaker 2: I think we're doing it on the we're playing it
[11:19] Speaker 2: on the show airing schedule.
[11:22] Speaker 3: Got it weekly that versus weekly? Yeah, episode, you know,
[11:26] Speaker 3: daily basically.
[11:27] Speaker 2: But knowing Lily, she can change rules, so there could
[11:29] Speaker 2: be troubles.
[11:31] Speaker 1: So true.
[11:31] Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, do you remember when we used to
[11:33] Speaker 3: play Mafia all the time?
[11:36] Speaker 2: Well, this is what I was people some of the
[11:37] Speaker 2: other day raised like the question of like, well, have
[11:40] Speaker 2: you guys like play games, Like did you guys play games?
[11:44] Speaker 2: Like Liam, we played this, we played Mafia, like that's
[11:48] Speaker 2: what the other day, like someone has never seen Traders
[11:52] Speaker 2: and he's playing and he didn't really understand the game
[11:54] Speaker 2: until we did our first round table and now he's
[11:56] Speaker 2: super into it. And I was like, look, I need
[11:58] Speaker 2: you to understand that I've been playing a one of
[12:00] Speaker 2: this game for twenty years.
[12:01] Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah what I'm like, yeah yeah, no, I've.
[12:05] Speaker 2: Never played it like this, but it's Jenna. It's getting crazy.
[12:10] Speaker 2: Philippe who plays Chip, he has a full notebook of notes.
[12:14] Speaker 1: I love this.
[12:15] Speaker 3: I love I love the idea of like separate group
[12:17] Speaker 3: chats because they're like you do one and then one
[12:19] Speaker 3: comes out and like somebody's missing from it.
[12:22] Speaker 1: And then like it's kind of like when they come.
[12:23] Speaker 3: In the room and they have already been talking about
[12:25] Speaker 3: you and then they go see silent and you're like,
[12:27] Speaker 3: you know you were talking about me.
[12:28] Speaker 1: You just this is great murder and playing Sight that
[12:31] Speaker 1: is so fantastic.
[12:32] Speaker 2: Oh it was. It's crazy how many people have like
[12:35] Speaker 2: diet or banished. There's been one banishment and two murders
[12:37] Speaker 2: so far.
[12:38] Speaker 1: Oh, I love this.
[12:40] Speaker 2: We started with twenty two people were down to nineteen.
[12:44] Speaker 1: I really like this season of Traders. I think it's
[12:48] Speaker 1: I mean.
[12:48] Speaker 2: It's brutal. I'm watching UK and US.
[12:50] Speaker 1: Oh I got to do the UK.
[12:52] Speaker 3: I think I will do that after this one ends,
[12:53] Speaker 3: because like I don't want to, I want to prolong.
[12:55] Speaker 1: I want to stretch it out.
[12:57] Speaker 2: Well. Last week because I was sick and like didn't
[13:00] Speaker 2: really have much else to do, and Trader people were
[13:02] Speaker 2: really getting into Traders at spelling B I caught up
[13:06] Speaker 2: on the US and the UK one in two days
[13:10] Speaker 2: and it was so much Traders to watch.
[13:13] Speaker 3: When we came upon Traders season three, so we went
[13:16] Speaker 3: back and watched two, and then watched one, and then
[13:19] Speaker 3: went to the UK and watched all those seasons, and
[13:22] Speaker 3: then we went and tried to watch Australia, which like
[13:24] Speaker 3: it's a little bit.
[13:24] Speaker 1: Different in Australia.
[13:25] Speaker 3: We don't watch that one, but we love all of
[13:28] Speaker 3: the other ones. So this is very I like.
[13:30] Speaker 2: It when it's not celebrities. I like the normal people.
[13:34] Speaker 3: Well that they're casting a US version, yes of no,
[13:37] Speaker 3: of just like people and very I think people also
[13:41] Speaker 3: go in having these like.
[13:44] Speaker 1: These, uh, what is it?
[13:46] Speaker 3: Preconceived notions of who people are? They know them, the housewives,
[13:50] Speaker 3: the rewards, you know all the people. So I think
[13:55] Speaker 3: that when you go in like the UK, where it's
[13:58] Speaker 3: like a little mix of both and not everybody who
[14:00] Speaker 3: you are leaving them and you're not telling them who.
[14:03] Speaker 1: What your career is or what you do, that's really fun.
[14:06] Speaker 3: And then they come out and they say it later
[14:08] Speaker 3: and they're like, well, you're a trader because you deceived us.
[14:11] Speaker 1: So good.
[14:12] Speaker 2: You can't wait. I can't wait for you to watch
[14:14] Speaker 2: the new UK season. It's great and they come out
[14:17] Speaker 2: with three episodes a week. I was going to ask
[14:31] Speaker 2: you about the new music coming out, Like did you
[14:35] Speaker 2: see Hillary duff did a concert? She's doing concerts in London?
[14:39] Speaker 1: I saw, I saw.
[14:40] Speaker 2: I were you a big Hillary Duffan?
[14:43] Speaker 3: I was not a huge Hillary duff fan, but I
[14:45] Speaker 3: liked her stuff, Like I don't think I followed her
[14:49] Speaker 3: as much as I listened to her music on the
[14:51] Speaker 3: radio and on Laguna Beach.
[14:54] Speaker 1: Yeah, unfair, but I'm excited for it. I love that
[14:57] Speaker 1: she's having.
[14:58] Speaker 2: A Harry Styles Is he tomorrow? Harry Styles's first singles
[15:03] Speaker 2: coming out.
[15:04] Speaker 1: Florence on the Machine just dropped a new album.
[15:07] Speaker 3: Uh, very excited for Mumford and Sons dropping a new
[15:11] Speaker 3: album soon.
[15:11] Speaker 2: Oh are they March.
[15:13] Speaker 3: It's called Oh, I can't remember what it's called, but
[15:16] Speaker 3: I'm very excited for it.
[15:19] Speaker 1: I will be honest.
[15:20] Speaker 3: My playlists these days consist of K pop, Demon Hunters, Frozen,
[15:27] Speaker 3: Little Wana, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
[15:33] Speaker 1: The ABC's, and maybe a Florence song. So that's the truth.
[15:39] Speaker 2: Last night, Matt was talking to about a line. He said,
[15:45] Speaker 2: He's like, you said it in your like reindeer voice,
[15:48] Speaker 2: and Graft's like what. He's like, you fully did this
[15:51] Speaker 2: one line and like your Frozen voice. And then he
[15:55] Speaker 2: told them the line and then Graft did it and
[15:57] Speaker 2: he did it that voice. He's like, oh Spen, yes,
[16:03] Speaker 2: full spin boys.
[16:05] Speaker 1: I forgot he does that.
[16:07] Speaker 2: Because he didn't realize.
[16:10] Speaker 1: He was like, world, right, you're pitched. That's definitely in that.
[16:15] Speaker 2: And there we go. I'm like, there's Dad over there,
[16:18] Speaker 2: you know, yep, he's just watching Frozen.
[16:23] Speaker 3: We go in and out of Frozen. Then we had
[16:25] Speaker 3: a huge Mauana face. I don't mind it when it's
[16:28] Speaker 3: these good Disney films with good music, like when you know,
[16:31] Speaker 3: like we we try to push Malana in incanto because
[16:36] Speaker 3: we're like, then we can listen to it and it's
[16:38] Speaker 3: not so scratchy on our ears.
[16:40] Speaker 1: But I'm definitely a little tired of my but I
[16:44] Speaker 1: will say keep up.
[16:44] Speaker 3: Demon Hunters is exciting because like she's like she loves Takedown.

[17:07] Speaker 3: No, I haven't watched it yet because we watched a
[17:10] Speaker 3: little bit of it because we were a lot of
[17:12] Speaker 3: the kids were talking about it and we're like, oh,
[17:14] Speaker 3: can she watch this?
[17:15] Speaker 1: So we had to like watch a little and it's
[17:16] Speaker 1: definitely not appropriate for her.
[17:18] Speaker 3: And there's some words that are being used that kids
[17:21] Speaker 3: should not be using, and a lot of the kids
[17:23] Speaker 3: at school are watching that, and then she's learning the
[17:25] Speaker 3: words and we're like, where did you learn that word?
