[0:16] Speaker 1: New but old, same but old, same, same but different, same,
[0:19] Speaker 1: same but diff but just keeping it, keeping it alive,
[0:22] Speaker 1: keeping it alive in a fresh way. So, even though
[0:25] Speaker 1: we finished rewatching Glee, one thing we never want to
[0:28] Speaker 1: stop doing is connecting with all of you, the fans.
[0:31] Speaker 2: This podcast would quite literally not exist without you, so
[0:34] Speaker 2: we want to keep chatting.
[0:35] Speaker 1: With you, guys, and we love getting the chance to
[0:38] Speaker 1: talk directly with you, to hear your stories and to
[0:41] Speaker 1: find out what you love most about Glee and what
[0:44] Speaker 1: the show means to you, which.
[0:45] Speaker 2: Is why we're keeping our Gleek of the Week episodes
[0:48] Speaker 2: going through all of this. It's our favorite way to
[0:51] Speaker 2: stay connected to this community and to celebrate you, the
[0:54] Speaker 2: fans who made Glee what it is.
[0:56] Speaker 1: Plus, this is our way of keeping Glee in the
[0:58] Speaker 1: conversation in our new era of the podcast. Okay, Kevin,
[1:02] Speaker 1: this week we have Alexis here.
[1:06] Speaker 2: Alexis is a real one. Alexis is one of our
[1:09] Speaker 2: biggest supporters, and every single week they post about the podcast,
[1:14] Speaker 2: review the podcast. We really really appreciate it. It does
[1:19] Speaker 2: not go unnoticed. And Alexis is here to tell us
[1:23] Speaker 2: all about their glee journey, which is quite funny and special.
[1:28] Speaker 1: I feel very aligned with Alexis a lot of things.
[1:31] Speaker 2: Oh, because Alexis has some deep cuts, some deep thoughts,
[1:36] Speaker 2: and some favorites that surprised even us enjoy.
[1:40] Speaker 3: Hello, Hi you, I'm all right here. How about you?
[1:46] Speaker 2: We are so honored to have you on here, truly.
[1:49] Speaker 2: First of all, your shirt. Thank you every single week,
[1:56] Speaker 2: you know, when we have an episode come out, you
[1:59] Speaker 2: I wake up to a post from you, and they're
[2:01] Speaker 2: always so generous and thoughtful. Yeah, you listen and pay
[2:08] Speaker 2: attention and promote, and we're just very very appreciative of
[2:11] Speaker 2: you know, you being a part of this podcast with
[2:15] Speaker 2: us a.
[2:16] Speaker 3: Love fest from the.
[2:17] Speaker 2: Get Oh god, you know, it does not go unnoticed.
[2:22] Speaker 3: I appreciate that. Sorry for my dog, he's just like noxious.
[2:26] Speaker 2: Oh, it's all right. My dog was just whining and crying.
[2:29] Speaker 2: I'm like, great, yes, of course, as soon as you
[2:30] Speaker 2: start podcasting.
[2:34] Speaker 3: Like the second you guys came on, he's like.
[2:36] Speaker 2: Like no, he dog also loves Glee.
[2:39] Speaker 3: Apparently, apparently it's just so excited.
[2:43] Speaker 1: We have to know like how this all started. So
[2:46] Speaker 1: how did you find Glee or how did Glee find you?
[2:50] Speaker 3: That's a story. So I've been was justuistically like at
[2:57] Speaker 3: least like four times, four other times because there was
[3:00] Speaker 3: one introduction it was Brittany Brittany and my friend was like, hey,
[3:06] Speaker 3: you should totally like watch the show. Here's I'll put
[3:08] Speaker 3: the DVD on and I'm like whatever, and I'm like
[3:10] Speaker 3: that's not Brittany. What no, thank you? Right, and then
[3:15] Speaker 3: I was like whatever went by, And then the other
[3:17] Speaker 3: time was like my mom was like, hey, you should
[3:19] Speaker 3: watch the show. You would really love it. And I'm like, okay, Mom,
[3:22] Speaker 3: sure because like she was like really into Ricky Martin.
[3:25] Speaker 3: She was like, you gotta watch the show. Whatever.
[3:29] Speaker 1: Third time, this is crazy. It's a long journey.
[3:31] Speaker 3: So I'm saying I was like no, no, no, no no,
[3:33] Speaker 3: which is crazy in hindsight, because I like, I love
[3:35] Speaker 3: I love Glee.
[3:36] Speaker 1: So like then you had to come on your own,
[3:39] Speaker 1: you know, on your own terms. You had to litter
[3:41] Speaker 1: it out right and find it.
[3:43] Speaker 3: Yeah. So then it was another time where I was
[3:47] Speaker 3: like obsessed with John Stamos. I was going through my
[3:49] Speaker 3: Rocky Horror phase and I'm like, oh my god. John
[3:51] Speaker 3: Stamos was on gleet and he's saying like Rocky Horror
[3:54] Speaker 3: and like, oh my god. And I'm like, I'm just
[3:55] Speaker 3: gonna download episode and skim through it just to see
[3:57] Speaker 3: John Stamos.
[3:59] Speaker 2: Why not?
[4:00] Speaker 3: And then I was like whatever. And then I was
[4:05] Speaker 3: going through some stuff as if you couldn't tell I'm
[4:08] Speaker 3: really gay. I watched Clean Da. I was going through
[4:14] Speaker 3: my own career journey, and let's just we think we
[4:19] Speaker 3: all go through this thing where it's like, what's it,
[4:21] Speaker 3: what's this about? I'm gonna look up like girls kissing?
[4:24] Speaker 3: Let's just say that.
[4:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, we all go through that phase where it's like,
[4:28] Speaker 1: but I'm.
[4:28] Speaker 2: Not gay, right right?
[4:30] Speaker 3: Yeah? So now I got suggested a Britanna like it
[4:34] Speaker 3: was like a fan at it or it was a compilation,
[4:37] Speaker 3: maybe both. But I started clicking on those videos and
[4:39] Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, this story's really interesting. It was like
[4:43] Speaker 3: I'm gonna check this out. And then that summer of
[4:47] Speaker 3: twenty twelve because it was after season three so I
[4:49] Speaker 3: didn't watch season three, was where I was like this
[4:53] Speaker 3: is it. Yeah, it all went uphill from that.
[4:56] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I love that. I mean the
[4:58] Speaker 2: amount of shows I also had the exact same experience
[5:01] Speaker 2: with where yeah, yeah it's popular, everyone's telling you to
[5:05] Speaker 2: do it. I'm like, no, I don't want to. And
[5:07] Speaker 2: then same literally same thing. I find out there's like
[5:10] Speaker 2: some gay storyline and I'm like, huh, well, maybe I'll
[5:15] Speaker 2: just try it. Google that or just like yeah, watch
[5:18] Speaker 2: like a fan edit of like all the gay scenes together.
[5:21] Speaker 2: No literally, and you're like, oh, maybe I should go
[5:23] Speaker 2: watch this show.
[5:24] Speaker 3: Yeah. It's just crazy because like people, other people will
[5:27] Speaker 3: be like yeah, totally, totally totally, and then you're like
[5:30] Speaker 3: and then they're like gay and I'm like, oh maybe.
[5:32] Speaker 2: I will yes, oh yes, like literally, like I can't
[5:38] Speaker 2: tell you how many shows that's happened to me with
[5:40] Speaker 2: That's it's embarrassing.
[5:43] Speaker 1: We obviously, based on your shirt and your posty, we
[5:46] Speaker 1: love Britanna, we love Santana. Yes, what other what other
[5:52] Speaker 1: characters do you who? Who else do you kind of
[5:55] Speaker 1: like resonate with and like what storylines did you really
[5:59] Speaker 1: love like throughout the series?
[6:02] Speaker 3: Oh gosh, okay, So actually what's funny is that the
[6:05] Speaker 3: gateway was Britanna, but like when I started watching it
[6:08] Speaker 3: was like Blaine Kurt. Oh my god, Claine was like
[6:11] Speaker 3: my entire existence, like I just switched. It was weird
[6:14] Speaker 3: because like Britanna and then I was like Clane though,
[6:17] Speaker 3: but like I really resonated with like Blaine at first
[6:20] Speaker 3: because I was just like, oh my god, he's so
[6:22] Speaker 3: cool with his bow ties. I wore bow ties like
[6:24] Speaker 3: in high school because I went to Capitol School, so
[6:26] Speaker 3: I was like, go ties, like that's me. And I
[6:30] Speaker 3: just resonated with his whole like like he's just so
[6:34] Speaker 3: confident and so sure of himself. And I'm like, I'm
[6:37] Speaker 3: I wasn't that, which I was like I want to
[6:39] Speaker 3: be that. That's pretty cool, yes, exactly. And then Kurt
[6:43] Speaker 3: kind of on the same level, but like his journey
[6:45] Speaker 3: was much more like relatable because I was like, wow,
[6:48] Speaker 3: he really went through a lot, and you see his
[6:52] Speaker 3: arc from where he starts and where he ends because
[6:53] Speaker 3: I'm like, I just started rewatching again after we finished
[6:57] Speaker 3: Rewatch because I was like, yes, so like seeing him
[6:59] Speaker 3: the begin is so crazy now because you're like beautiful storyline, yeah,
[7:04] Speaker 3: where You're just like I connect with it.
[7:06] Speaker 1: Okay, so what about because you love Clane, Like, I'm
[7:09] Speaker 1: curious to hear your thoughts on the hurt Locker Part
[7:11] Speaker 1: one and two. Oh.
[7:14] Speaker 3: I remember vividly watching that as it aired. I was like,
[7:18] Speaker 3: what is And this was when I didn't like course,
[7:20] Speaker 3: I didn't even know what this chicksaw was.
[7:22] Speaker 1: I was like, I don't know what's happening on?
[7:24] Speaker 3: What is happening? What's going on? Like I was dying
[7:27] Speaker 3: because I was like, I know what was coming. I
[7:28] Speaker 3: was like, they're hinting at it. Something's gonna happen with Clane, clearly,
[7:31] Speaker 3: something's going on. What is happening? But like I mean,
[7:36] Speaker 3: for starters, they really made the canon Warbler's thing were
[7:39] Speaker 3: like they're gay, and I'm like, we know this, but
[7:41] Speaker 3: thank you for confirming that they're all gay? Right, And
[7:43] Speaker 3: then like you have the Sue of it all where
[7:45] Speaker 3: Sue's just like I'm in love with Clay and I'm like,
[7:47] Speaker 3: where is this come all of a sudden when you're
[7:52] Speaker 3: literally Sue's thing is like oh oh porcelain, and like,
[7:56] Speaker 3: I hate you all this all of a sudden. She's
[7:57] Speaker 3: like hurt Blane projection secretly, but I live for it
[8:03] Speaker 3: because it's chaos.
[8:12] Speaker 2: There's obviously some episodes that people love, and on the
[8:16] Speaker 2: flip side, some episodes that people don't think that, like
[8:19] Speaker 2: the Britanna storylines or the Clane storylines were handled well.
[8:24] Speaker 2: Do you have like some highs and lows from both
[8:26] Speaker 2: of those storylines in the series.
[8:28] Speaker 3: I definitely think that Britanna did deserve a little better.
[8:33] Speaker 3: I completely get where the lesbians are coming from because
[8:36] Speaker 3: like those like Britanna fans being in the trenches, they
[8:40] Speaker 3: would their right or die. They are the Plane and
[8:46] Speaker 3: Britanna battles I've seen over the years, last three years
[8:51] Speaker 3: on Twitter, it was like chaos, and I was just
[8:53] Speaker 3: in the middle being like, but guys, look at everyone.
[8:55] Speaker 3: I love everybody. Yeah, Like anyway, let's go watch like
[8:58] Speaker 3: what's you are already singing this solo?
[9:00] Speaker 2: Guys?
[9:00] Speaker 3: Look or like I'd be like focus on this, Oh
[9:03] Speaker 3: Shuster did something good? Like I'd just be focusing on
[9:05] Speaker 3: other things, like, guys, let's get along right, Yeah, so silly,
[9:09] Speaker 3: like it was all I was just like, I hate
[9:11] Speaker 3: Clane like and the other side was like Pretannon the claimven.
[9:14] Speaker 3: I don't think that the Claan fans were evil, they
[9:16] Speaker 3: were just more like whatever we left Clane, and then
[9:20] Speaker 3: they would also like behaters, secretly haters. They pretend they're like,
[9:23] Speaker 3: we're better than that, but they'd also be haters. You
[9:26] Speaker 3: don't want to be in there?
[9:27] Speaker 2: Where would do you? Because I feel like you're here
[9:30] Speaker 2: and I mean this in a positive way. Okay, like
[9:32] Speaker 2: you are immersed and like fandoms, but I feel like
[9:36] Speaker 2: your relationship relationship to it is really healthy. Oh well yeah,
[9:41] Speaker 2: it sounds like it's healthy.
[9:42] Speaker 3: I've seen stuff where I was like, Okay, I'm glad
[9:45] Speaker 3: I'm not in.
[9:46] Speaker 2: Exactly where like where do people get the wildest? Like
[9:52] Speaker 2: where is it on Twitter? Is it on Reddit? Like
[9:55] Speaker 2: where are people? Because I get back in the day
[9:57] Speaker 2: like Tumblr? Yeah, Tumblr was the one.
[10:00] Speaker 3: Yeah, Tumblr was where the chaos really was. I felt
[10:03] Speaker 3: like Twitter like is like evil, like this pure like
[10:07] Speaker 3: combination of joy and evil. There was no one between.
[10:09] Speaker 3: There was no like right, you're like whoa, this is
[10:12] Speaker 3: great or oh this is awful. It was just kind
[10:14] Speaker 3: of like let's set this place on fire.
[10:17] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[10:17] Speaker 3: And then Tumblr was more just like I love this,
[10:19] Speaker 3: look at this really cool edit this person made.
[10:21] Speaker 2: Tumblr was joyous because you could also like everyone was
[10:24] Speaker 2: expressing like their love for those things in such different ways,
[10:29] Speaker 2: and I could really explore like the niche of like
[10:32] Speaker 2: whatever it was where I feel like Twitter when I
[10:34] Speaker 2: first started, when Glee started, was positive and then once
[10:38] Speaker 2: Twitter became really big, probably by the time you started
[10:42] Speaker 2: watching Glee, Twitter was already you know, it was yeah,
[10:45] Speaker 2: it was on fire.
[10:48] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, because I had to like find my
[10:50] Speaker 3: space because you have. You had to find those groups
[10:52] Speaker 3: of people that are just kind of like chill but
[10:55] Speaker 3: not yeah, like no offense to people who are passionate,
[10:58] Speaker 3: because like I want to point this out, I don't
[11:00] Speaker 3: know Glee Twitter that still exists to go after me,
[11:03] Speaker 3: but you know, there there are some people who are
[11:05] Speaker 3: very passionate and that's okay, but that's not my scene.
[11:07] Speaker 3: It's not my thing. But like, you just got to
[11:10] Speaker 3: find your people that you connect with, the ones that
[11:11] Speaker 3: are just like, yeah, I love the show and I
[11:13] Speaker 3: love it too. We love it so much. But then
[11:15] Speaker 3: we're not like sought our whole existence.
[11:19] Speaker 1: Rather, so who have you found, Like have you found
[11:22] Speaker 1: like a small group of friends. Do you guys connect
[11:25] Speaker 1: just online or do you go to like do you
[11:29] Speaker 1: interact in person or like what is that like for.
[11:32] Speaker 3: Me, well, I uh, we started on Glee Twitter, so
[11:36] Speaker 3: I've actually never met these people, but I feel like
[11:38] Speaker 3: I know them. Shout out to Albert, Lex, Emma, Maddie.
[11:43] Speaker 3: Those were like my go to is Maleiah. I had
[11:46] Speaker 3: to say that because it's you know, internally me like
[11:49] Speaker 3: Lee as a Glee fan. For that log, I was like,
[11:51] Speaker 3: I gotta shout them out because they're literally my Glee experience.
[11:55] Speaker 3: That yeah, but those those people, I would say, they
[11:59] Speaker 3: really made my experience fun and strange and unusual. And
[12:05] Speaker 3: we would mean like group chats or we'd like talk
[12:08] Speaker 3: through Twitter and just say things like we know who
[12:10] Speaker 3: we're talking to. They were just really a fun little
[12:13] Speaker 3: bunch of people. The fact that we still connect is crazy,
[12:16] Speaker 3: and the fact that we still haven't met each other
[12:17] Speaker 3: in person is even more insane. But like, I got
[12:20] Speaker 3: to see these people grow because of the show.
[12:23] Speaker 2: That's incredible. Have you always been I mean your way
[12:28] Speaker 2: in was Britanna. How do you feel about musicals in general?
[12:33] Speaker 2: Is that something that you love or is that something
[12:36] Speaker 2: you had to grow to love?
[12:38] Speaker 3: Oh boy, that's a big one. So yeah, and the like,
[12:43] Speaker 3: musicals are literally the best thing that ever happened to me,
[12:47] Speaker 3: like I love musical theater because Glee was kind of
[12:50] Speaker 3: like it pushed me into a lot more musical theater
[12:53] Speaker 3: that I thought I knew because I was like I was,
[12:56] Speaker 3: I loved like Rocky, Horror, all this other stuff before
[12:58] Speaker 3: I watched Glee, but like Lee expanded that for me,
[13:01] Speaker 3: and I was like, oh, I've never heard of this?
[13:03] Speaker 3: What's this? And then you go into this even music,
[13:05] Speaker 3: not even just musical theater, but like any kind of music,
[13:08] Speaker 3: but musical theater is literally like it brings me a
[13:12] Speaker 3: lot of joy, makes me very happy. Whenever they do
[13:16] Speaker 3: a musical number from any musical that I loved, I died,
[13:20] Speaker 3: Like at the Ballet, I don't.
[13:23] Speaker 1: How did you what musicals did you discover?
[13:26] Speaker 3: Who? Well, obviously I would say a course line because
[13:30] Speaker 3: I knew a churse line, like I knew at the Ballet,
[13:33] Speaker 3: Like that was the song I knew, and a few
[13:34] Speaker 3: other songs, but like that was the musical. Like I
[13:38] Speaker 3: got more into that show afterwards. I was like, let me,
[13:40] Speaker 3: let me actually watch the actual musical, Like I looked
[13:42] Speaker 3: for the old bootleg fantastic, trying to think that they
[13:47] Speaker 3: just real they did a lot of musicals yeah, no,
[13:49] Speaker 3: we did.
[13:50] Speaker 1: We did.
[13:50] Speaker 2: To be fair, I didn't know. I mean I've told
[13:52] Speaker 2: the story a billion times, but like the story is
[13:56] Speaker 2: like I obviously didn't know maybe this time, but I
[13:58] Speaker 2: also didn't know like Cabaret at all, thank you, So
[14:01] Speaker 2: I had to let me go watch Cabaret.
[14:05] Speaker 1: Like literally, I was like, I was like, what, Like,
[14:07] Speaker 1: I know, there's another one I had in.
[14:08] Speaker 2: Mind beyond being like, yeah, this song's a jam like
[14:12] Speaker 2: at the backlet like, yeah, this song is beautiful, but like,
[14:15] Speaker 2: let me see this in context.
[14:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it.
[14:18] Speaker 3: Hits harder, like yeah, maybe this time hits a lot
[14:20] Speaker 3: differently in the context.
[14:22] Speaker 2: That's how it's like, it's hard for me to listen
[14:24] Speaker 2: to Like if I'm introduced to musical and you just
[14:27] Speaker 2: hear the songs outside of it abstractly, it's sometimes hard
[14:30] Speaker 2: to connect to the musical. And so if those songs
[14:32] Speaker 2: already are impacting us when we're watching the show, then
[14:36] Speaker 2: in context it's just amplified, like how beautiful it.
[14:40] Speaker 1: Is, yeah, or important? Yeah, are there any we've learned
[14:44] Speaker 1: like a lot of you know, through the podcast obviously
[14:48] Speaker 1: since you listen, Like there's sleeper numbers that Kevin and
[14:52] Speaker 1: I were sleeping on that we just didn't know were
[14:54] Speaker 1: so impactful in the in the gleek fandom world of
[14:59] Speaker 1: like Paradise by the Dashboard Light and some of those
[15:03] Speaker 1: other ones. What's like a number that you love besides
[15:09] Speaker 1: from besides Paradise that you wish you could have like
[15:13] Speaker 1: been a part of Why Awake?
[15:20] Speaker 2: Because I had to.
[15:20] Speaker 3: I had to find a gag way to bring that
[15:22] Speaker 3: up because I was like, like.
[15:25] Speaker 1: Attention, I know, I know how you feel.
[15:28] Speaker 3: You You're fantastic on that things like you've got heavy
[15:33] Speaker 3: hitters and there you got, Jake got you, you got
[15:35] Speaker 3: Oh my god.
[15:36] Speaker 1: I know, I know, I don't know. I accept it.
[15:39] Speaker 3: It's fantastic. It's a beautiful cover, no disrespect to the original,
[15:43] Speaker 3: but like literally it's probably in my top five probably.
[15:51] Speaker 2: I want to know what are your top top numbers.
[15:54] Speaker 3: I don't know if it counts, because like I feel
[15:56] Speaker 3: like Glee Christmas songs like I can totally count because
[16:01] Speaker 3: like people put them in category, so I never really
[16:05] Speaker 3: side is like a godsend to me. Literally, it's perfect
[16:10] Speaker 3: down to a te vocals Darren Chris Chefs Kiss Gloria.
[16:15] Speaker 3: But when people ask me my favorite Glee cover, of all time.
[16:17] Speaker 3: It is Gloria. Yeah, just the way you are. Not
[16:22] Speaker 3: the Bruno mars one but the Billy Joel one.
[16:26] Speaker 2: Yes, moving out.
[16:27] Speaker 3: That probably a good episode, though, I'm like, was that writer?
[16:31] Speaker 3: That one? Was the group? It was at the end
[16:34] Speaker 3: of the episode. That's right, cute little New York number
[16:37] Speaker 3: where like the introduction, the sneak peak of what's to
[16:39] Speaker 3: come and see that's right. The gosh, there's so many
[16:43] Speaker 3: New York state of mind? Will you still love me tomorrow?
[16:47] Speaker 3: Every breath you take. I've been listening to that like
[16:49] Speaker 3: crazy lately. That's a good one, constantly.
[16:52] Speaker 1: Oh my god, I actually love that one.
[16:54] Speaker 3: It's I honestly, I don't know how many times I've
[16:57] Speaker 3: listened to it this week, Like it's concerned. I was like,
[17:00] Speaker 3: am I okay walking? I'm walking at work and then
[17:04] Speaker 3: like I'll have it in my headphones. I'm like in
[17:06] Speaker 3: the zone, like all right, I gotta go back to work,
[17:09] Speaker 3: and like no one knows.
[17:11] Speaker 2: I love you. Check in with yourself, Like wait a second,
[17:15] Speaker 2: all right, why is this one resonating with me this week?
[17:19] Speaker 3: Oh my god, Yeah, there's so many, there's so many.
[17:22] Speaker 1: Don't dream it's over a really good.
[17:26] Speaker 3: It sounds incredible. He does my favorite, probably my favorite
[17:30] Speaker 3: thing Corey saying on that show right next to losing
[17:33] Speaker 3: my religion, because that's I mean, losing my religion.
[17:36] Speaker 1: I'm with you, that's I mean.
[17:38] Speaker 2: That is a strong list.
[17:41] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's insane, very I.
[17:47] Speaker 2: Like. I like that. It's not you know, it's there's
[17:50] Speaker 2: some deep cuts on there. Do you have some favorite episodes?
[17:55] Speaker 3: Well, everyone says original song, and that's like I know
[17:58] Speaker 3: that episode like the back of my hand. Like, never
[18:00] Speaker 3: watch it with me in person, because I will literally
[18:03] Speaker 3: just say the dialogue and I know the feats everything.
[18:06] Speaker 2: It's like a comfort.
[18:08] Speaker 3: Well, yes, of course.
[18:10] Speaker 1: Yes.
[18:11] Speaker 3: New New York is another one I love so much,
[18:13] Speaker 3: like it sets the tone for the next you know
[18:16] Speaker 3: step in Glee. I thought it was a nice change.
[18:18] Speaker 3: It was fresh, different, and also when I went to
[18:22] Speaker 3: New York, funny thing. I went to New York and
[18:24] Speaker 3: for some reason, downtown like that from that episode flayed
[18:26] Speaker 3: in my head and I was like listening to it
[18:28] Speaker 3: on the airplane and I was like to like it
[18:30] Speaker 3: set the tone for New York. Yeah, props, I love it.
[18:35] Speaker 1: Yes, I mean you're so good.
[18:37] Speaker 3: I literally rewatched it last night. In preparation for this
[18:39] Speaker 3: because I was like, I want to be in the zone.
[18:41] Speaker 3: I want to like recount everything.
[18:43] Speaker 1: You are so good, thank you.
[18:47] Speaker 3: Object You're like legitimately like so campy, but you're also
[18:52] Speaker 3: so good at being serious, you know what I mean.
[18:54] Speaker 3: Like every episode, like you go from like this like oh,
[18:58] Speaker 3: I'm so shy, and then like by season five you're
[19:01] Speaker 3: just like you know what, I've had it apicially I'm done,
[19:06] Speaker 3: and I'm like, yeah.
[19:07] Speaker 1: You've got a good read on it. You've got a
[19:09] Speaker 1: really good, so good thank you, thank you. Everybody is
[19:14] Speaker 1: really good in props, Like we've said, like that's one
[19:17] Speaker 1: of our favorite ones to have done because everybody was
[19:20] Speaker 1: just so committed having the best time, and boy, oh boy,
[19:24] Speaker 1: it was a big episode for for everybody, and especially
[19:27] Speaker 1: for Tinak and Yang.
[19:29] Speaker 3: Yeah, especially for Diana. That's my favorite part of this,
[19:32] Speaker 3: just watching Danna Agron in the background.
[19:33] Speaker 1: Just Sugarmanna is going off. I'm so tired of being.
[19:38] Speaker 3: So serious so often like move around and do the most.
[19:43] Speaker 2: Uh do you have a season ranking? Oh?
[19:54] Speaker 3: Man? See it changes a lot, because like I was
[19:56] Speaker 3: thinking that last night, I was like two because I
[19:59] Speaker 3: always say too. It was my favorite. But then sometimes
[20:02] Speaker 3: you watch episodes and three and you're like three bangs,
[20:06] Speaker 3: but then you have one and it's like the beginning.
[20:08] Speaker 3: Because like I said, I've been rewatching and I'm like
[20:10] Speaker 3: season one has some like back to back to back
[20:12] Speaker 3: to back. Every episode is just like wow, and I
[20:16] Speaker 3: don't know, like it really flips. And if I had
[20:19] Speaker 3: to put in order, though, I would say two, three, one.
[20:27] Speaker 3: I don't want to say five. Oh no, I might
[20:29] Speaker 3: switch five and one. I don't know, no, one five
[20:33] Speaker 3: and then six and four would be at the oh
[20:37] Speaker 3: four up at four over six? Okay, Yeah, yeah, it's
[20:41] Speaker 3: not for something you have to really think about it
[20:42] Speaker 3: because you're like, no, I like things from this season.
[20:45] Speaker 3: I know, like season four, people talk so much crap
[20:48] Speaker 3: about that season, but I think it is literally like
[20:53] Speaker 3: vastly underrated musically. Musically it's very underrated. Like that album
[20:56] Speaker 3: I love just like listening to that entire like the
[21:00] Speaker 3: compilation everything is on, Like I just love putting on
[21:03] Speaker 3: a shuffle and just sad because it's so good.
[21:06] Speaker 2: I think that was a surprise for us too.
[21:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, yeah, or was I mean I always knew.
[21:13] Speaker 1: I remember going into four being like I remember having
[21:16] Speaker 1: a really good time essentially, right, yeah, but rewatching it,
[21:24] Speaker 1: I think I think people just had a hard time
[21:26] Speaker 1: with the new and with the transition, right because it
[21:29] Speaker 1: was like a really big transition after three seasons of
[21:32] Speaker 1: like being so in your face for in every way,
[21:36] Speaker 1: shape and form.
[21:37] Speaker 3: Sure, yeah, because like that was literally when I started
[21:40] Speaker 3: watching as it aired. So I think that's my floor
[21:43] Speaker 3: is so special to me because it was like I'm
[21:45] Speaker 3: part of the thing now, guys.
[21:48] Speaker 1: Because literally I have to wait every for every week.
[21:52] Speaker 3: Because no, because I remember binge watching all three seasons.
[21:54] Speaker 3: This was before like streaming and all that. Yeah, So
[21:57] Speaker 3: I went on the family computer and illegally watched all
[22:00] Speaker 3: three seasons on just like I'd be stating there with
[22:03] Speaker 3: my headphones just watching and they'd be like, hey, Alexis,
[22:05] Speaker 3: I'm like not right now watching I was like in
[22:09] Speaker 3: it and then like watching it live for it was
[22:12] Speaker 3: so weird. I was like, and then I got used
[22:13] Speaker 3: to the same momnotony of like when are the songs
[22:16] Speaker 3: coming out?
[22:17] Speaker 1: Right?
[22:18] Speaker 3: Right, there was a schedule like they'd have like a
[22:20] Speaker 3: day where the songs would come out, and then like
[22:23] Speaker 3: episode and the sneak peaks and I was like routine,
[22:25] Speaker 3: and then when it ended, I was like, what am
[22:27] Speaker 3: I supposed to do?
[22:31] Speaker 1: Right?
[22:32] Speaker 2: Do you have any other fandoms that you are part of,
[22:35] Speaker 2: like like Lee.
[22:37] Speaker 3: Well, I was part of this fandom. A lot of
[22:41] Speaker 3: people talk about it. Our flag means death. It was
[22:44] Speaker 3: not in Max, it was really I watched that popular. Yeah,
[22:48] Speaker 3: I was so sad when I got canceled.
[22:50] Speaker 2: Yeah that was weird. They also like dragged it like
[22:52] Speaker 2: it's getting canceled or it's not getting canceled or yeah.
[22:55] Speaker 1: No.
[22:55] Speaker 3: It was infuriating because they would like Max be like, anyway,
[22:57] Speaker 3: look at this other show that's that we have right here,
[22:59] Speaker 3: and I'm just like, you're not advertising your show. It
[23:02] Speaker 3: was that one. I loved our flagging said. Even some
[23:05] Speaker 3: people that I was friends with when the gleed Fantom,
[23:07] Speaker 3: they were really into that too, so we connected through
[23:10] Speaker 3: that too. So it was really sweet. Oh god, I
[23:12] Speaker 3: don't even honestly, I'm ever since Glee, there weren't a
[23:16] Speaker 3: lot of fandoms and I think are flaggings. That was
[23:18] Speaker 3: legitimately the one time where I was like, i think
[23:20] Speaker 3: I'm going back guys doing it again because familiar Because Glee,
[23:26] Speaker 3: it was a lot. It was a lot like a lot.
[23:30] Speaker 3: Good good on you guys for avoiding that.
[23:33] Speaker 2: For the most part. Every now and then it would
[23:35] Speaker 2: like my algorithm would flip and I would like be
[23:37] Speaker 2: in it for a second. I'd see something like I'm
[23:40] Speaker 2: not supposed to be here?
[23:41] Speaker 1: Yeah, just like okay, not for me.
[23:45] Speaker 2: I got to get out of here. Eject. Do you
[23:48] Speaker 2: have any other musicals because we're watching other musicals now,
[23:52] Speaker 2: do you have any suggestions for it? Could be TV movies, bootlegs,
[23:59] Speaker 2: whatever that you think we should.
[24:01] Speaker 3: Watch Sunheim Sunday in the Park with George some Soundheim
[24:08] Speaker 3: stuff up in there.
[24:09] Speaker 2: Did you know what I literally am? Okay, yeah, Jenna,
[24:15] Speaker 2: we have to I haven't talked to Jenna about this,
[24:17] Speaker 2: but that's my pitch.
[24:19] Speaker 1: That's your pitch, Like, that's so very crazy?
[24:22] Speaker 2: Yes, what literally, niche?
[24:27] Speaker 1: I know you don't have to pitch me Sunday.
[24:33] Speaker 3: Gena Love Theater.
[24:34] Speaker 1: I assume that you see multiple versions on this point.
[24:40] Speaker 3: Yes, I've seen the one with Annalie.
[24:43] Speaker 1: I know I wasn't in New York for that one
[24:45] Speaker 1: after either, Wait, I did see that one, You're like,
[24:51] Speaker 1: hold on, maybe I didn't with Jake Jillen Hall yeah,
[24:56] Speaker 1: I did see that one. I'm like, wait, they didn't
[24:58] Speaker 1: see it. There's too many I just want.
[25:01] Speaker 2: To say, she's in the park too many times with George.
[25:04] Speaker 1: No, I know, is so good?
[25:07] Speaker 3: Nothing about that?
[25:08] Speaker 1: Okay, well, it was definitely gonna do.
[25:11] Speaker 3: That Little Shop of Horrors, but like the director's cut,
[25:15] Speaker 3: yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, the happy ending garbage that
[25:19] Speaker 3: and I love frank Us and I get where he
[25:21] Speaker 3: was coming from, but like girl, it's supposed to be said,
[25:23] Speaker 3: that's the point of the musical. Literally, the point of
[25:27] Speaker 3: Little Shop is like, hey, don't do that. Hey, look
[25:30] Speaker 3: at you one congratulations, Like no.
[25:36] Speaker 1: All right, all right, we got to ask you, you
[25:37] Speaker 1: know what's coming? What is it? What is the feeling
[25:40] Speaker 1: that leaves you.
[25:41] Speaker 3: With Oh my goodness. I was thinking about it too.
[25:46] Speaker 3: I was like I knew it was coming, prepared for it.
[25:48] Speaker 1: I would say identity, great gratitude. I use two words can.
[25:58] Speaker 3: Identity because like it. I didn't really know myself that
[26:02] Speaker 3: well and went before Glee and like I liked, I
[26:05] Speaker 3: knew what I liked, but like Glee, I feel like
[26:08] Speaker 3: I've found my people and I felt like, oh this
[26:10] Speaker 3: is me. Like that, just as a queer person, not
[26:13] Speaker 3: just you know, as somebody who loves musical theater, but
[26:15] Speaker 3: just like a general human being where it's like I
[26:17] Speaker 3: can relate to all these people and it's just like
[26:21] Speaker 3: I can. I just connected them. And I would say
[26:23] Speaker 3: great gratitude because it brought me a lot of people
[26:26] Speaker 3: that I got to see grow and become better people.
[26:29] Speaker 3: And just just grateful for you guys, Grateful for what
[26:32] Speaker 3: you gave me. Like Lee literally was a maje. Like
[26:36] Speaker 3: if there are you know how you have moments when
[26:38] Speaker 3: you're growing up like this staple, this staple right here.
[26:41] Speaker 3: This is like Glee was literally there when I needed it,
[26:45] Speaker 3: which is weird because they started it late, but like
[26:48] Speaker 3: it was when I was there when.
[26:49] Speaker 2: I just that's beautiful.
[26:53] Speaker 1: Well, it's been really fun to talk to you. It's
[26:56] Speaker 1: so nice to finally meet you after all the wonderful morning, said,
[27:00] Speaker 1: I wake up after an episode, I get to see
[27:02] Speaker 1: your poem. I was waiting for this. I'm telling you,
[27:05] Speaker 1: we see them. I'm really just because I'm not this
[27:09] Speaker 1: is crazy.
[27:10] Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Jay, but like ah, like this is literally
[27:15] Speaker 3: a moment for me, Like literally this is major, and
[27:18] Speaker 3: I thank you so much for even inviting me because
[27:20] Speaker 3: I got the message and I was like, okay, sure,
[27:23] Speaker 3: and then a week later they're like, hey, so what time,
[27:26] Speaker 3: and I'm like, oh, like me, yes, okay.
[27:32] Speaker 2: Definitely we couldn't do this and I have you.
[27:34] Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
[27:35] Speaker 1: Yeah, we really appreciate you.

[28:06] Speaker 2: Thank you very much.

[28:13] Speaker 3: doing this podcast, because I think what you were able
[28:17] Speaker 3: to do with this podcast is not only show other
[28:20] Speaker 3: fans and what you what you guys went through as
[28:23] Speaker 3: a cast and like what it took to get that
[28:26] Speaker 3: show created, but it also like made other fans who
[28:29] Speaker 3: were like part of it from the beginning to be
[28:31] Speaker 3: able to like experience it with you again and really
[28:34] Speaker 3: see it in a new lens. Like for me, it
[28:36] Speaker 3: was like a new lens where I was like, oh,
[28:39] Speaker 3: like you would say something, one of you guys would
[28:41] Speaker 3: say something, and I'd be like, I didn't even think
[28:42] Speaker 3: about it that way, And it put a whole new
[28:44] Speaker 3: perspective on the show for me. So for that, I
[28:46] Speaker 3: thank you for just bringing it back to me again
[28:48] Speaker 3: to remind me why I love it so much and
[28:52] Speaker 3: helping me see it in a new light.
[28:55] Speaker 1: I appreciate you.
[28:56] Speaker 2: Thank you so much, very much, thank you so so much.
