[0:01] Speaker 1: And That's what you Really missed with Jenna.
[0:04] Speaker 2: And Kevin an iHeartRadio podcast.
[0:09] Speaker 3: Welcome to and That's what You're Really miss podcast. Hi Kevin,
[0:12] Speaker 3: Hey Jenna, how's it going?
[0:14] Speaker 2: All right? Hey? You doing good?
[0:16] Speaker 1: Happy Friday, everybody?
[0:17] Speaker 2: Oh, Happy Friday.
[0:20] Speaker 1: This is the weather.
[0:21] Speaker 2: Oh you know the weather. It got warm for a
[0:25] Speaker 2: little bit and it felt like, oh it's turning, we're
[0:30] Speaker 2: heading into spring. And then it was like twenty degrees
[0:34] Speaker 2: yesterday and raining.
[0:35] Speaker 1: So really terrible this year.
[0:38] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's the fourth worst winter I think on
[0:43] Speaker 2: record in like the past one hundred and fifty years
[0:45] Speaker 2: or something like that.
[0:47] Speaker 1: So what a time for you to be in New.
[0:49] Speaker 2: York, you know, really overachieving. To be fair, there were
[0:53] Speaker 2: articles about it that my sister had sent me that
[0:56] Speaker 2: New York was going to have the most severe winter
[1:00] Speaker 2: had in a very long time. And you know what,
[1:02] Speaker 2: the predictions were true.
[1:03] Speaker 1: They were right.
[1:04] Speaker 3: I did see those, and I actually didn't send them
[1:06] Speaker 3: to you because I knew you were.
[1:07] Speaker 2: Going, Oh, that's sweet of you.
[1:09] Speaker 1: Just let you experience it on your own. Yeah.
[1:14] Speaker 3: I feel like we don't talk, but this is our
[1:15] Speaker 3: catch up, yep, it is Kevin and I play poker
[1:19] Speaker 3: a lot.
[1:20] Speaker 2: Oh no, you're telling them as secret. We played poker, okay,
[1:26] Speaker 2: my brother and our friend Anna, like get a bunch
[1:32] Speaker 2: of us together online and we play poker and it
[1:35] Speaker 2: happens like maybe twice a month.
[1:37] Speaker 3: Yeah, it was happening often for a while, and this
[1:41] Speaker 3: is a continuation. It obviously paused for a while, but
[1:44] Speaker 3: this has been since the pandemic.
[1:47] Speaker 2: And then we stopped for years.
[1:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, years, and then we just passed two months.
[1:51] Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. It's so much fun.
[1:55] Speaker 2: I feel bad because Jenna keeps getting in like fourth
[1:58] Speaker 2: place of the.
[2:00] Speaker 1: Money, just out of the money. I really.
[2:03] Speaker 3: I was so mad the other night and I just
[2:06] Speaker 3: one day I'll get there. But David said that too.
[2:08] Speaker 3: He was like, I feel like I'm always just on
[2:10] Speaker 3: the outside, and then he was like, on a winning streak. Yeah,
[2:13] Speaker 3: so I feel like my time is coming.
[2:16] Speaker 2: I mean, the thing is too, we always play with
[2:18] Speaker 2: generally the same group of people. Some people will bring
[2:22] Speaker 2: like a plus one and some people. It's always online too.
[2:24] Speaker 1: By the way, yeah obviously, but.
[2:26] Speaker 2: I think you know, we're learning how we get reading
[2:30] Speaker 2: each other. Yeah.
[2:31] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really fun though.
[2:32] Speaker 2: It is. I love that you and David are always
[2:34] Speaker 2: so down to play.
[2:36] Speaker 1: Well, we're home.
[2:38] Speaker 3: And everybody's sleeping, the kids are sleeping, and we've got
[2:42] Speaker 3: nothing to do, and we're probably just going to be
[2:43] Speaker 3: watching Netflix anyway. So it's a very enjoyable thing for
[2:46] Speaker 3: us to look forward to that we both enjoy doing together.
[2:49] Speaker 1: It's not great, you know.
[2:51] Speaker 2: We all get on like Discord and talk.
[2:53] Speaker 1: I love that.
[2:55] Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, Discord was new though we didn't have
[2:57] Speaker 3: that during the pandemic. But I feel like that was
[2:59] Speaker 3: create because of the pandemic, do you know what I mean?
[3:02] Speaker 1: Whether it was or not exist? Oh did it?
[3:04] Speaker 3: I think it's so smart. It feels it's for gamers, right, yes,
[3:09] Speaker 3: I believe so. Well, yeah, it was not something we
[3:11] Speaker 3: would have used. I think Discord has also evolved over
[3:15] Speaker 3: the years.
[3:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, i'd imagine.
[3:17] Speaker 2: So yeah.
[3:17] Speaker 1: I like it though. I think Discord's very smart.
[3:21] Speaker 2: I also like whenever I'm playing mm hmm, Like this weekend,
[3:25] Speaker 2: I was so tired, I was falling asleep playing.
[3:28] Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it was fast because it's been.
[3:31] Speaker 2: We always play Saturday nights and it's after a two
[3:33] Speaker 2: show day. We start at ten thirty pm and it
[3:38] Speaker 2: usually goes into like one am.
[3:40] Speaker 3: I know, well, when you're on the last table, and
[3:43] Speaker 3: often are I normally.
[3:45] Speaker 1: Am and like Kevin just wants to go to bed.
[3:47] Speaker 1: He's playing fast and loose.
[3:48] Speaker 2: Yeah, this, my brother was. I was on vocal us.
[3:51] Speaker 2: I wasn't talking in the discord, but I could hear,
[3:55] Speaker 2: you know, I was in it, so I could hear it,
[3:57] Speaker 2: and I did some bet My brother's like, uh's tired.
[4:01] Speaker 2: I was like, shut up, Timmy, you don't be two out.
[4:04] Speaker 3: Speaking of Saturday nights on Broadway, you just had a
[4:08] Speaker 3: really fun speller, Ken Jennings.
[4:11] Speaker 1: Yes, what is that? Like, that's so exciting?
[4:14] Speaker 2: That was really cool.
[4:15] Speaker 1: Oh I'm fangirling.
[4:17] Speaker 2: Yeah that was It was like such a surprise, and yeah,
[4:20] Speaker 2: I'm perfect for this type of show.
[4:23] Speaker 1: Yes.
[4:24] Speaker 2: I also I don't know if he's inherently like a
[4:26] Speaker 2: great speller. Obviously he's super smart, but that doesn't always
[4:29] Speaker 2: necessarily mean did.
[4:30] Speaker 1: He get it right or was it an easy word?
[4:33] Speaker 2: He got one word right and he got the second
[4:35] Speaker 2: word wrong, But that also sort of has to be.
[4:37] Speaker 1: By design, right, they make it pretty.
[4:40] Speaker 2: He needs to get out.
[4:42] Speaker 1: Right right here else he's stuck there.
[4:45] Speaker 2: Oh, and the time of recording this m Amber is
[4:49] Speaker 2: coming tonight to the show to be a guest speller.
[4:53] Speaker 3: I saw the spelling Bee teaser on Instagram and I
[4:59] Speaker 3: DMed you and was is it Amber?
[5:02] Speaker 1: And I knew it was just by that clue, but
[5:06] Speaker 1: I was very excited and very jealous.
[5:11] Speaker 2: I can't wait. I'm a little worried because Amber wins everything.
[5:16] Speaker 2: I'm like, Amber, you can't win this one. You cannot
[5:20] Speaker 2: win this. Sheca is I canna start studying now, like
[5:22] Speaker 2: a couple of weeks ago. I was like, no, don't,
[5:25] Speaker 2: because I'm sorry.
[5:26] Speaker 1: She's going.
[5:27] Speaker 2: She's good enough to defeat the amazing writing of spelling Bee.
[5:31] Speaker 3: Okay, well, let's talk about the weakest thing. She literally
[5:34] Speaker 3: was like I'm not winning this. I'm not winning this. No,
[5:36] Speaker 3: I'm really not winning this. I'm not winning this.
[5:39] Speaker 1: It was like to the point where she.
[5:40] Speaker 3: Was like, no, no, no, I'm not winning this, and
[5:41] Speaker 3: like everybody kept getting out and I was like, I
[5:43] Speaker 3: think you are, yeah, but she was.
[5:46] Speaker 1: Like sure, she wasn't, but she wins everything.
[5:49] Speaker 2: So little singer Dancing with the Stars, we just like
[5:55] Speaker 2: Olivier named that Yes or whatever name that tune or
[5:59] Speaker 2: whatever it was, Wheel Fortune, family Feud celebrity.
[6:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's too much.
[6:06] Speaker 2: Everything.
[6:06] Speaker 1: It's too much. It's too much. We've had some really good.
[6:20] Speaker 3: Emails from fans from listeners, guess we have, and I
[6:24] Speaker 3: saw one. I don't know if you saw it, but
[6:26] Speaker 3: I wanted to talk about it because in the spirit
[6:28] Speaker 3: of talking about the show and Broadway shows. This is
[6:34] Speaker 3: from a listener, a wonderful listener, who said, Hi, Kevin
[6:39] Speaker 3: and Jen, I have a question for you guys. I
[6:41] Speaker 3: thought it might be an interesting subject for our charty take,
[6:43] Speaker 3: so maybe we can talk about it and see if
[6:45] Speaker 3: this is something we want to elaborate on.
[6:47] Speaker 1: Sorry, that was me talking, not the listener.
[6:51] Speaker 3: I wanted to ask you about your feelings towards bootlegs
[6:54] Speaker 3: in the Broadway world. How do you feel about the
[6:56] Speaker 3: idea of an audience member recording your show and about
[7:00] Speaker 3: whole shows being distributed online for others to see. As
[7:03] Speaker 3: someone who doesn't live in the US or anywhere near
[7:05] Speaker 3: a strong theater scene, I can definitely say that I
[7:06] Speaker 3: wouldn't have been able to become the musical theater nerd
[7:09] Speaker 3: I am today without bootlegs, especially since pro shots weren't
[7:11] Speaker 3: yet a thing back then. Only by watching some Bootlegs
[7:14] Speaker 3: was able to fall in love with that world, which
[7:16] Speaker 3: later encouraged me to travel as an adulta places where
[7:19] Speaker 3: I could experience them live. And still I completely understand
[7:22] Speaker 3: why most performers are opposed to that. I would love
[7:24] Speaker 3: to hear your thoughts about it. Also a specific question
[7:26] Speaker 3: for Kevin on the same topic, I would love to
[7:28] Speaker 3: know how you feel about people recording the guest spellers
[7:31] Speaker 3: on spelling beests. Since those are a one of a
[7:33] Speaker 3: kind performance, do you find it more acceptable if people
[7:35] Speaker 3: record them and share with others?
[7:37] Speaker 1: I love you in the pod, stay fabulous. This is
[7:40] Speaker 1: a very good question.
[7:41] Speaker 2: Thanks Barr. I personally feel conflicted about them, because in
[7:50] Speaker 2: one breath, I do think they are sort of a
[7:53] Speaker 2: great thing, especially for her circumstances where and also in
[8:00] Speaker 2: New York is very expensive to attend, even if you're
[8:03] Speaker 2: in New York or visiting New York, and it is
[8:08] Speaker 2: a great way to see it. I think some people
[8:11] Speaker 2: are also like better at it than others you know
[8:13] Speaker 2: of actually like recording them. I would say from the
[8:18] Speaker 2: performance side of it, I don't want to see.
[8:23] Speaker 1: Your phone totally, totally, totally.
[8:26] Speaker 2: I've seen people recording and this goes for the guest spellers.
[8:30] Speaker 2: When we have guest spellers up and sometimes there's kids
[8:33] Speaker 2: on the stage and their parents are recording. I know
[8:36] Speaker 2: you want to record your kid doing it. And I
[8:38] Speaker 2: know we have celebrities that you wouldn't normally see. But
[8:42] Speaker 2: I think that's just one of the things that's like
[8:45] Speaker 2: that one night only.
[8:46] Speaker 1: Yeah, that like.
[8:49] Speaker 2: It is especially in our theater, and some theaters are
[8:52] Speaker 2: really big and it's litt in a way where you
[8:54] Speaker 2: cannot see the house that much. We can see almost
[8:59] Speaker 2: all of you, I know, almost the entire show.
[9:02] Speaker 3: I mean the experiences that I've had with people, audience members,
[9:07] Speaker 3: not just phones, but in general, like because in Spring
[9:10] Speaker 3: Awakening we had on stage seating.
[9:14] Speaker 2: It runs when people take their phone out on stage.
[9:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, we've had some of that. We people take their
[9:20] Speaker 1: shoes off, we had drunk people.
[9:22] Speaker 3: We had people off as a crazy crazy No, no,
[9:25] Speaker 3: it was like crazy.
[9:26] Speaker 1: There were some like crazy.
[9:28] Speaker 2: And there's also like nudity in that show, so like
[9:30] Speaker 2: you cannot.
[9:30] Speaker 1: Be Yeah, it's a lot, it's a lot.
[9:32] Speaker 3: I mean that even for Hair at the Bowl, even
[9:37] Speaker 3: though that is a different venue, more concert, they were
[9:41] Speaker 3: asking people to put their phones away because half the
[9:44] Speaker 3: caskets naked.
[9:46] Speaker 2: Yeah, I've seen two shows here since I've lived here
[9:50] Speaker 2: that there's nudity and they actually lock your phone up
[9:52] Speaker 2: in those bags. Love it, Okay.
[9:54] Speaker 3: I think that there is something to what bar said
[9:57] Speaker 3: about being able to reach different an audience that would
[10:01] Speaker 3: never be able to or never know with the obviously
[10:05] Speaker 3: the internet and YouTube. I personally am conflicted about it because, yes,
[10:10] Speaker 3: as a performer, I think there's something sacred about being
[10:13] Speaker 3: on stage not wanting to see the phone. There's something
[10:16] Speaker 3: about I enjoy personally like knowing that this perform There's
[10:21] Speaker 3: something freeing to me about knowing that this performance is
[10:24] Speaker 3: for the people in the seats and it will go
[10:26] Speaker 3: away after today, right like that performance, that specific show
[10:31] Speaker 3: will disappear that day, whereas like on Glee, is like
[10:37] Speaker 3: everything is just recorded for life, ye forever. And but
[10:43] Speaker 3: the amount that I have consumed of bootlegs is insane.
[10:47] Speaker 3: Like I love watching Different Jennas and Waitress, I love
[10:51] Speaker 3: watching different Alpha Buzz and Wicked. I love watching shows.
[10:54] Speaker 3: I love that accessing that because I never would have
[10:58] Speaker 3: been able to see this person do that, right, So
[11:01] Speaker 3: I think there's something I understand it, but I don't.
[11:06] Speaker 3: I think that's the sanctity, the sacredness of theater is
[11:11] Speaker 3: that it is live and that it will never exist
[11:14] Speaker 3: again that specific day.
[11:16] Speaker 2: I have thought about during a show of like, oh god,
[11:19] Speaker 2: I hope no one's bootlegging tonight because and it makes
[11:24] Speaker 2: me rethink the bootlegs I've seen where I might have
[11:27] Speaker 2: been critical or judgmental. And I think everybody should remember
[11:30] Speaker 2: this by the way of like, they are doing these
[11:33] Speaker 2: shows hundreds of times, and some of them are not
[11:37] Speaker 2: going to be as good as others, and so like
[11:41] Speaker 2: to be judgmental of a show, of a performance of
[11:44] Speaker 2: a performer on any given night from one bootleg is
[11:48] Speaker 2: totally unfair. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And I think i've And
[11:52] Speaker 2: that's the other thing too, where Austin, for example, we
[11:57] Speaker 2: went to go see a show here. I won't say
[11:59] Speaker 2: what it was. He's seen the bootleg, all kinds of
[12:02] Speaker 2: bootlegs from it, so he was like, just to warn you,
[12:05] Speaker 2: it's not a perfect show, you know, blah blah. And
[12:08] Speaker 2: we went and saw the show and we were like,
[12:11] Speaker 2: it's a perfect show. Interesting, and bouetleg got it wrong.
[12:16] Speaker 2: There's things you can't tell in a bootleg. So I think.
[12:21] Speaker 3: Bootlegs are like watching like community theater, no offense, community theater, but.
[12:26] Speaker 1: You know what I mean, Like bootlegs feel like this,
[12:29] Speaker 1: like I don't know.
[12:32] Speaker 2: Version. Yeah, because also just how phone cameras are built
[12:37] Speaker 2: and microphones are built, it like cuts out certain light.
[12:41] Speaker 2: You're not seeing the lighting correctly. You're definitely not hearing
[12:44] Speaker 2: the sound correctly because it picks up different frequencies of sound.
[12:49] Speaker 2: But I think if you can do it discreetly and
[12:52] Speaker 2: not get caught, and if you're consuming them in a
[12:56] Speaker 2: way that is non judgmental, and it's for like I
[12:58] Speaker 2: love theater or I really want to see the show,
[13:00] Speaker 2: I'm not able to go do it then like great
[13:04] Speaker 2: practice safely. But I don't think anybody's entitled to be
[13:09] Speaker 2: able to film a bootleg. I don't think anybody is
[13:11] Speaker 2: entitled to be able to have a bootleg available. It
[13:16] Speaker 2: is illegal.
[13:16] Speaker 1: Don't do it.
[13:17] Speaker 2: And also if you're in the theater, I better not
[13:22] Speaker 2: see that phone.
[13:23] Speaker 1: Part of me would like just rather like an audio recording.
[13:27] Speaker 2: So there was this woman's great I probably shouldn't talk
[13:30] Speaker 2: about it. There was this woman two nights ago, and
[13:36] Speaker 2: she was sitting near the back and fully had her
[13:42] Speaker 2: phone on, like in her lap. Right, No, she was
[13:44] Speaker 2: in her lap, like she was reading her phone and
[13:46] Speaker 2: the light it's dark, so the light was shining up.
[13:50] Speaker 2: And then Philippe, who plays Chip, I see him looking
[13:53] Speaker 2: at me. Then I look at him and he's like
[13:55] Speaker 2: mouthing like do you see that.
[13:57] Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, it's great.
[13:58] Speaker 2: Yeah. And because of how spelling Bee is structured, I'm like,
[14:02] Speaker 2: if she is still on her phone by the time
[14:04] Speaker 2: I get up to the mic, you say something absolutely.
[14:08] Speaker 1: Oh I love it, I love it. You're Patty the Pony.
[14:11] Speaker 2: Yes, I might. I already know what I'm gonna say.
[14:13] Speaker 2: But she did not go on her phone.
[14:15] Speaker 1: Okay, ever again drag her.
[14:17] Speaker 2: But listen, this is not don't use this as an
[14:21] Speaker 2: encouraging thing like, oh, I'm going to be on my
[14:23] Speaker 2: phone so Kevin sees me and think he's gonna call
[14:25] Speaker 2: me out. No, no, no, because you will then get kicked
[14:27] Speaker 2: out by the usher.
[14:28] Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah and the ushers.
[14:31] Speaker 2: I see you on your phone. It's not going to
[14:33] Speaker 2: be a great time for you, but please come and
[14:36] Speaker 2: enjoy it.
[14:37] Speaker 3: Have you had any like crazy things happened in the show.
[14:40] Speaker 3: I was thinking about this the other day, like anything
[14:42] Speaker 3: crazy lights go out, like you have to Oh.
[14:45] Speaker 1: The fire alarm went off right in the.
[14:46] Speaker 2: Middle of the show, yeah, with Daniel Radcliffe.
[14:48] Speaker 1: How weird is that that you have to like restart
[14:50] Speaker 1: the show after that?
[14:51] Speaker 2: And it was right I don't know if you remember,
[14:53] Speaker 2: but it was going into the I Love You song.
[14:56] Speaker 1: Oh no, so like we came back.
[14:59] Speaker 2: No, everybody sits down and then immediately yeah, I love
[15:04] Speaker 2: You song starts.
[15:05] Speaker 1: Honestly, what a way back in?
[15:07] Speaker 3: But I feel sorry for yeahs who have to do that.
[15:11] Speaker 2: Is Jasmine, And Jasmine doesn't like ever phone anything in
[15:19] Speaker 2: and so like she's just immediately.
[15:21] Speaker 1: Have you guys started playing games on stage?
[15:24] Speaker 2: We have a couple of times. But the thing is
[15:26] Speaker 2: with that game, it's tough, so like we we were
[15:29] Speaker 2: handing around a little like pastic b But I never
[15:34] Speaker 2: got it because I don't really interact with anyone, so
[15:39] Speaker 2: like I I think I was the only one who
[15:42] Speaker 2: didn't get it. There was a proposed game during Traders,
[15:47] Speaker 2: but everyone thought it was suspicious of Leanna and thought
[15:51] Speaker 2: it was going to be a murder and playing.
[15:52] Speaker 1: Side a devil. It's so very meta.
[15:59] Speaker 2: Where we had to say something in a British accent.
[16:01] Speaker 1: That's funny. That works for your show. Yeah, everybody make
[16:04] Speaker 1: it work.
[16:05] Speaker 2: It's very fun. I remember you told me this. I'm like,
[16:07] Speaker 2: I don't understand how that was.
[16:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, now you get it right.
[16:10] Speaker 2: Did you have any fun games? And like the multiple
[16:12] Speaker 2: shows you've been in.
[16:14] Speaker 1: No, everybody who's very serious and waitress and we did
[16:16] Speaker 1: not play games. Bast stage.
[16:18] Speaker 3: People were fun, but on stage we did not mess around.
[16:21] Speaker 3: There was no time spring awakening, for sure. I believe
[16:26] Speaker 3: the murder game happened a few times where you blanket
[16:29] Speaker 3: somebody or like, yeah, the sticker passed the sticker.
[16:35] Speaker 1: Definitely.
[16:35] Speaker 3: In high school we played that a lot. We did
[16:37] Speaker 3: like games more than on Broadway. I remember Chris Fitzgerald,
[16:42] Speaker 3: the Wonderful Original Blok, and he's been in everything at
[16:44] Speaker 3: this point. Now we were in the wedding and the
[16:47] Speaker 3: waitress and we're off like dancing when there's other things happening,
[16:51] Speaker 3: and I'm talking to him and he's like, you know
[16:53] Speaker 3: you're on stage right now, right?
[16:58] Speaker 1: I was like, yep, I know. The characters are just
[17:01] Speaker 1: we are one in each other.
[17:03] Speaker 2: So I turned to Leanna who plays Marcy the other day,
[17:07] Speaker 2: and she looks at me in like a weird way,
[17:09] Speaker 2: and I'm like, what's wrong and she's like, I'm acting
[17:18] Speaker 2: that's really yes, yes, right. There's also so much downtime
[17:24] Speaker 2: in our show. You guys are just.
[17:25] Speaker 1: Sitting there, you're in the choir room. Kevin, is that crazy?
[17:28] Speaker 2: Yes, And it's really hard to not just like gab
[17:31] Speaker 2: to people. I know we would be that so many times.
[17:35] Speaker 3: I know we would be so bad, Kevin. When I
[17:39] Speaker 3: was little and the King and.
[17:40] Speaker 1: I we would like.
[17:43] Speaker 3: We would get in trouble because like one kid would
[17:45] Speaker 3: start to like laugh in like the death scene where
[17:47] Speaker 3: like the king is dying and the children are supposed
[17:49] Speaker 3: to be crying, but.
[17:50] Speaker 1: You're like nine, like what are you going to do?
[17:53] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[17:53] Speaker 3: There's one time little Jeff he was like four, and
[17:56] Speaker 3: he brought a skittle on stage and it was in
[17:59] Speaker 3: his hand and it died his hand like the collar
[18:02] Speaker 3: I think it was green, got all over his costume
[18:05] Speaker 3: and then he dropped the skill on stage.
[18:08] Speaker 1: That classic.
[18:09] Speaker 2: It's like the most little kid thing to do.
[18:11] Speaker 1: Oh, literally, like, what are you going to do? These
[18:13] Speaker 1: kids are tight? Literally? Three and four amazing anyway?
[18:18] Speaker 2: Three and four Okay, wait, can I go over this
[18:20] Speaker 2: somebody wrote in. Jonathan said, I'm currently directing Spelling Bee
[18:24] Speaker 2: at a community theater in San Diego. Love had a
[18:26] Speaker 2: recent rehearsal. I learned at least two in the cast
[18:29] Speaker 2: are obsessed with Traders, and I floated the idea of
[18:31] Speaker 2: playing the way your cast has been. I'm just not
[18:34] Speaker 2: completely clear on the rules you've used and how your
[18:37] Speaker 2: gameplay goes. Do you have anything written out that could
[18:39] Speaker 2: help us? Love the podcast. I had stopped watching Clear
[18:42] Speaker 2: on season five, so I finally finished watching the series
[18:44] Speaker 2: and time with you. I actually had visited the set
[18:46] Speaker 2: when you were filming the Peter Pan episode. I knew
[18:49] Speaker 2: someone in lighting, but I hadn't actually seen the episode
[18:51] Speaker 2: until your recap. Thanks Jonathan. Thanks podcast that you launched
[18:56] Speaker 2: with us. That's exciting. Here's my recommendation for traders during
[19:06] Speaker 2: your production is spelling Bee. I would advise not to
[19:10] Speaker 2: play it. Why Well, I don't know how close all
[19:15] Speaker 2: of you are in your production is breaking up friendships.
[19:21] Speaker 2: There were a couple moments where things got a little heated.
[19:24] Speaker 2: Everything is fine now.
[19:27] Speaker 1: But because here's the thing.
[19:30] Speaker 2: Because it's a game based around deception and lies and distrust,
[19:38] Speaker 2: some people are able to compartmentalize and be like, this
[19:41] Speaker 2: is just the game. I got to say and do
[19:43] Speaker 2: what I got to do for the sake of the game.
[19:46] Speaker 2: But I do think that is against most people's spirit. Yeah,
[19:51] Speaker 2: I think because I think a lot of people everyone's
[19:53] Speaker 2: going to get accused of lying everyone and people take.
[19:56] Speaker 1: That be traders. Yes, we were in Betrayers and betray
[20:03] Speaker 1: so I I yeah, yeah, yeah, I get it.
[20:06] Speaker 2: I don't know.
[20:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you want this show to go, well, maybe.
[20:10] Speaker 2: Not, because I will say we were all we all
[20:13] Speaker 2: loved it. We all had a great time, some ust
[20:15] Speaker 2: more than others. But whenever we did get banished or murdered,
[20:19] Speaker 2: most of us were like, oh thank.
[20:20] Speaker 1: God, relief. Yeah, honestly, yeah, it was.
[20:25] Speaker 2: And it's also a lot because you spend so much
[20:27] Speaker 2: time outside of the job, like texting people and gaming.
[20:32] Speaker 2: It's it's really time consuming and exhausting. I don't know
[20:36] Speaker 2: I would. I would, honestly, I don't know how long
[20:38] Speaker 2: your run is. I'm not sure I would. I would
[20:42] Speaker 2: sort of advise against it. It's okay, fair enough. How's
[20:53] Speaker 2: the Asian American Girl.
[20:54] Speaker 1: Club AGC is going? Really well?
[20:58] Speaker 3: We've got some ex citing things coming that I can't
[21:01] Speaker 3: even talk about. But the podcast is launching in a
[21:05] Speaker 3: few weeks and it's been amazing. We're having so much fun.
[21:11] Speaker 3: AGC is just it's time consuming, but it's good work.
[21:17] Speaker 3: And I look at my kids and I'm like, I'm
[21:19] Speaker 3: doing this for you, and.
[21:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, just a lot of things in the works. And
[21:27] Speaker 1: May is.
[21:29] Speaker 3: Asian Pacific Islander month, so like it's a big month
[21:33] Speaker 3: for us. Lots of stuff happening.
[21:36] Speaker 1: We're going to be.
[21:39] Speaker 3: It's just too many events, honestly, but so many events
[21:43] Speaker 3: where you know there's going to be some new merch,
[21:46] Speaker 3: some new things. So we're it's all stewing. We're stewing
[21:49] Speaker 3: right now, but hopefully it'll be good. And things are
[21:52] Speaker 3: going really well and the podcast is going well.
[21:55] Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a.
[21:56] Speaker 3: Serial podcaster at this point, but it's it's so much
[22:00] Speaker 3: fun and it's been having really great conversations with people.
[22:03] Speaker 3: So yeah, we're doing it. We're doing it in all
[22:06] Speaker 3: the hours, and I'm not doing this into a million classes.
[22:13] Speaker 2: Are they in a billion classes?
[22:14] Speaker 3: Yeah? Well, Graham's in this like soft play developmental like
[22:18] Speaker 3: movement class that like they do with like all this
[22:21] Speaker 3: fun stuff. Anyway, he's learning how to walk, and then
[22:23] Speaker 3: he has like a tothering me class for preschool that'll
[22:25] Speaker 3: go to. And then Amazon gymnastics, and she's in dance.
[22:28] Speaker 3: And we tried soccer didn't work out, so we're just
[22:31] Speaker 3: like we're in it. We've gotten her a tennis racket, Kevin.
[22:35] Speaker 3: She loves to watch tennis.
[22:37] Speaker 2: She does.
[22:38] Speaker 1: She loves tennis. Every sport is tennis.
[22:40] Speaker 3: She'll see baseball on TV and she'll be like, tennis,
[22:43] Speaker 3: I'm like, that's pacefall, but tennis she really likes watching.
[22:47] Speaker 2: Take her to Indian Wells.
[22:48] Speaker 1: I know we got it. At some point we will.
[22:50] Speaker 1: We'll take them both. But next year it's going to.
[22:52] Speaker 2: All go together.
[22:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, let's go.
[22:54] Speaker 2: There's also some like like events surrounding it, like the
[22:58] Speaker 2: Desert Smash and.
[22:59] Speaker 1: Things that that would be fun.
[23:01] Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's less serious, she could see it in person.
[23:04] Speaker 2: I think it's probably more kid friendly, Like we should
[23:07] Speaker 2: try to make that happen next year.
[23:11] Speaker 3: We should definitely make that happen. I think there's like
[23:12] Speaker 3: a kid's event too or something.
[23:14] Speaker 2: So you have a free place to stay.
[23:17] Speaker 1: Oh my god, we can stay.
[23:20] Speaker 2: Yes, it is so crazy.
[23:21] Speaker 3: We used to have to like source places to stay,
[23:24] Speaker 3: not anymore, very exciting.
[23:26] Speaker 2: Kevin Okay today Kevin is available.
[23:29] Speaker 1: Yay.
[23:30] Speaker 3: Well, thanks everybody for coming to our FaceTime post catch up.
