[1:12] Speaker 1: fun making it. And here she is, Alesia Kara.
[1:23] Speaker 2: Well, thank you for coming, thank you, thanks for having me.
[1:26] Speaker 2: So where do you live? I live in Toronto? Is
[1:29] Speaker 2: that where you're from?
[1:31] Speaker 5: Yeah? I was born and raised in a suburb of Toronto,
[1:35] Speaker 5: and then I moved to the city about six years ago. Okay,
[1:38] Speaker 5: so yeah, I've been in the city for a while.
[1:40] Speaker 2: I love it. I think it's so much fun.
[1:42] Speaker 5: I always thought that I wanted to live, like in
[1:44] Speaker 5: some sort of rural area. I never thought I was
[1:46] Speaker 5: a city girl until I moved, and I'm.
[1:49] Speaker 2: Like, I love it. Well, you're young too.
[1:51] Speaker 1: It has the good energy and yeah, a lot of
[1:53] Speaker 1: things to do.
[1:54] Speaker 2: It's such a great city.
[1:55] Speaker 1: I was wondering if you wanted to try a song
[1:57] Speaker 1: from your new album that would be lovely you Yeah, yeah,
[2:01] Speaker 1: that would be beautiful and.
[2:02] Speaker 2: I can't wait to do this if you.
[2:04] Speaker 1: I was thinking this song fire might be a good
[2:06] Speaker 1: one to start with. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's awesome.
[2:28] Speaker 2: Pick me up and take me home.
[2:32] Speaker 3: Reaching through musking and boom change in my DNA inspired
[2:40] Speaker 3: minute by minute.
[2:45] Speaker 6: All the time, I.
[2:49] Speaker 3: Always falling bomb stay, but you're rushing up brain like
[2:56] Speaker 3: it's nothing.
[2:57] Speaker 2: I'm jumping and have stuff.
[3:00] Speaker 7: Who I'm on fire, I'm on fire.
[3:17] Speaker 8: Who I'm on fire? Who I'm on fire?
[3:43] Speaker 3: Pick me up and send me free Golden boy and
[3:49] Speaker 3: dirty jeans painting in your life. Wondered why I couldn't
[3:57] Speaker 3: see it. Hey all the time stoodas Oh it's fine
[4:06] Speaker 3: and I'm mustay, but your person I brain.
[4:11] Speaker 2: Back, it's nothing.
[4:13] Speaker 3: I'm jumping the head first. Who I'm on fire? Who
[4:28] Speaker 3: I'm on fire?
[4:33] Speaker 7: Who I'm on five? I'm on fire. I want to
[4:52] Speaker 7: be with you.
[4:54] Speaker 8: Anywhere else is too fa. I want to be like
[5:02] Speaker 8: you are. Bewake you are, beware you are. I want
[5:09] Speaker 8: to take your places. I want to keep you saving.
[5:17] Speaker 6: I want to be like you are.
[5:20] Speaker 8: Bewg you be, make you.
[5:27] Speaker 6: I'm on fire, I'm lo fat, I'm on fam time
[5:45] Speaker 6: on fire.
[5:50] Speaker 8: Oh I'm on fire, I'm on fa.
[6:11] Speaker 2: Oh that was awesome.
[6:21] Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, that was beautiful. That thing you did,
[6:23] Speaker 5: that little jazz spin you put on that break was
[6:26] Speaker 5: so good.
[6:27] Speaker 2: Oh good. I loved your voice sounds so pretty. Oh
[6:31] Speaker 2: thank you? Yeah, an incredible day. That was so amazing beautiful.
[6:34] Speaker 2: I thought that was great.
[6:35] Speaker 5: Yeah, me too.
[6:36] Speaker 1: I love it.
[6:37] Speaker 5: It was like free and fun and feeling each other out.
[6:39] Speaker 5: That was that was great. So that's from the new album. Yes,
[6:42] Speaker 5: it's from the new album. It was like, it's it's
[6:44] Speaker 5: funny because like how how we are kind of playing
[6:46] Speaker 5: it now is like how it was written, which is
[6:48] Speaker 5: very rare for me. I don't typically like write in
[6:51] Speaker 5: the room with a bunch of people were intimate, you mean, yeah,
[6:54] Speaker 5: I kind of just do it on my own. I
[6:55] Speaker 5: get very I guess shy to like just like sing
[6:58] Speaker 5: gibberish out into the room. It's very with other people
[7:00] Speaker 5: with other people.
[7:01] Speaker 1: Yeah, the gibbers singing thing is a real thing because
[7:05] Speaker 1: it's a really good way to get stuff and sort
[7:08] Speaker 1: of get a placeholder. But I imagine it would be
[7:11] Speaker 1: hard to do in a room full of more than
[7:13] Speaker 1: one person. Oh yeah, because I don't really do that either.
[7:16] Speaker 1: But with one person, if I'm writing, I don't mind
[7:19] Speaker 1: doing it really.
[7:20] Speaker 2: So if there's another person there, it doesn't.
[7:22] Speaker 1: If if it's someone i'm writing with, I'm probably pretty
[7:25] Speaker 1: comfortable with them, but I wouldn't want to probably do
[7:27] Speaker 1: it with a stranger.
[7:28] Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, no, it's strange. I mean, I can
[7:30] Speaker 5: very like doing it just in front of anyone. Honestly,
[7:33] Speaker 5: I'm like super shy that way. But I think this
[7:35] Speaker 5: album was the first time I kind of let go
[7:37] Speaker 5: of those inhibitions and just like tried things because I
[7:40] Speaker 5: do feel like you get good stuff when you know
[7:42] Speaker 5: you maybe have another ear to tell you, like, wait,
[7:45] Speaker 5: you did something that was cool. You know that you
[7:46] Speaker 5: might think is kind of like I like that. Yeah,
[7:49] Speaker 5: that's like having a secretary, yes exactly, take her, yes exactly.
[7:54] Speaker 5: So I've actually found it to be really beneficial for
[7:57] Speaker 5: my writing process. So that was like the first song
[7:59] Speaker 5: we did that was done in that way. And who
[8:01] Speaker 5: was in the room for this one This producer and
[8:04] Speaker 5: great friend of mine who I've worked with for many
[8:05] Speaker 5: albums now, John Levine. He's also another Canadian who lives
[8:09] Speaker 5: in La so I was in La with him in
[8:11] Speaker 5: his home studio, and another producer named Jake Tory, who
[8:15] Speaker 5: are great. They're both great composers as well. So we,
[8:18] Speaker 5: you know, put a mic in the middle of the room.
[8:20] Speaker 5: I believe it was John on keys, Jake on drums,
[8:24] Speaker 5: and then just me on the mic, and we just
[8:26] Speaker 5: kept looping those chords and that little drum loop and
[8:30] Speaker 5: until the song was done, until I just fell out.
[8:32] Speaker 2: It was so fun to do it that that's great
[8:34] Speaker 2: and it's inspiring.
[8:35] Speaker 1: You're just bouncing off of each other and yeah, yeah,
[8:39] Speaker 1: I think that's a way that I didn't really know
[8:41] Speaker 1: how to write like that until maybe ten or fifteen
[8:44] Speaker 1: years ago, and it was super freeing.
[8:47] Speaker 5: M m.
[8:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I've enjoyed it. It's been nice.
[8:49] Speaker 1: Yeah. Did you start writing songs when you were young?
[8:53] Speaker 2: I mean yes and no.
[8:55] Speaker 5: I think I kind of did it like for fun
[8:57] Speaker 5: in more of like a jokey way. When I was
[9:00] Speaker 5: kid like, I would write kind of funnier, like stupid
[9:03] Speaker 5: songs just for myself. And then as I started getting older,
[9:06] Speaker 5: I wrote a lot of poetry and short stories. I
[9:08] Speaker 5: would write stories all the time, and then it wasn't
[9:11] Speaker 5: until my teen years that I started like figuring out
[9:14] Speaker 5: how to turn those like short stories or poems like
[9:16] Speaker 5: into melody and rhythm. Yeah, So it was kind of
[9:19] Speaker 5: like later in life. It was always there, like writing
[9:21] Speaker 5: was always a part of my life in some way,
[9:24] Speaker 5: but I never really started, you know, turning it into
[9:27] Speaker 5: like proper music until my mid teens, I would say.
[9:31] Speaker 2: To me, that's young. I guess I really that's older.
[9:35] Speaker 1: Well, I was much older. I was like twenty when
[9:37] Speaker 1: I wrote my first Well I wrote a couple songs
[9:39] Speaker 1: in high school, but I was twenty when I really
[9:42] Speaker 1: started getting into writing.
[9:43] Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, that's kind of that feels old to me really, yeah,
[9:47] Speaker 5: because I feel like so many people that I speak to,
[9:49] Speaker 5: like a lot of artists that you hear that, like,
[9:50] Speaker 5: I've been writing songs since I was like one, Yeah,
[9:52] Speaker 5: you know, my first album for sure, But I think
[9:55] Speaker 5: I didn't really become like a super confident writer until
[9:58] Speaker 5: my second album, which I was about I think I
[10:01] Speaker 5: was like nineteen or twenty, so around the same time
[10:04] Speaker 5: as you was when I really like started practicing it
[10:07] Speaker 5: fully and like doing it for real, for real.
[10:10] Speaker 1: And so how did you start singing? What were you into?
[10:13] Speaker 1: What did you grow up around?
[10:14] Speaker 5: Singing was something that I always did do since I
[10:17] Speaker 5: was super super young. I think when I started discovering
[10:19] Speaker 5: my own music and things that I was into, I
[10:21] Speaker 5: you know, discovered artists like Amy Winehouse that she was
[10:24] Speaker 5: a huge one for me. I loved her growing up
[10:27] Speaker 5: and in cold Play grew up listening to. My dad
[10:29] Speaker 5: is a huge Beatles fan, so I was always listening
[10:31] Speaker 5: to the Beatles, a little bit of everybody, I mean,
[10:33] Speaker 5: like Stevie Nix and Fleetwood, Mac, Lauren hill Er, Kobadu
[10:37] Speaker 5: shade you. Of course, I always gravitated towards like the
[10:42] Speaker 5: singer songwriter, women who like played an instrument, who were
[10:44] Speaker 5: like on stage on their own. I always loved that
[10:47] Speaker 5: and I always wanted to do that.
[10:48] Speaker 2: So that's cool. Yeah. And your family's Italian? Yes, yes, yeah, yeah.
[10:52] Speaker 2: So did you ever hear any Italian music growing up?
[10:55] Speaker 7: I did.
[10:55] Speaker 5: Yeah, my mom played a lot of different Italian music.
[10:58] Speaker 5: There's I mean, you can list all of them. There's like, sorry,
[11:01] Speaker 5: my mom's in the room. Also, there's an artist named
[11:04] Speaker 5: Edo Sti. There's a really big Italian artist who I
[11:06] Speaker 5: got to collaborate with a couple of years ago, which
[11:09] Speaker 5: was so cool because we grew up listening to him.
[11:11] Speaker 5: Between like my dad loving like you know, the Beatles
[11:14] Speaker 5: and Elvis and then my mom listening to Italian music
[11:17] Speaker 5: and stuff.
[11:17] Speaker 2: It was it's a nice mix.
[11:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you think about trying another song? Oh
[11:22] Speaker 1: that'd be lovely. Yeah, yeah, do you want to try clearly, sure, clearly. Yeah,
[11:26] Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, yeah, let's see if this guitar it's
[11:29] Speaker 1: got a big neck, so hopefully it's okay to big.
[11:48] Speaker 3: A million years later, here's only a million pages worth
[11:53] Speaker 3: of history. We were roaming in the desert, found in
[11:57] Speaker 3: an olive tree. No use in going back to sight
[12:04] Speaker 3: and who's wrong and toss the blame between us like
[12:07] Speaker 3: a basketball. I've learned that it takes two to tango.
[12:11] Speaker 3: After all, lie, smoke clean we.
[12:20] Speaker 6: And know what?
[12:21] Speaker 3: Don't hate you? Yeah, we're run borrow time and I
[12:27] Speaker 3: don't wasting a the otion between us clothes and there.
[12:37] Speaker 2: Now we're close, and I see the.
[12:40] Speaker 8: Fences men and slowly can we be open?
[12:48] Speaker 7: Forget about the.
[12:50] Speaker 3: Rest start of over For the first time, I can
[12:55] Speaker 3: see clearly. For the first time, I can see you.
[13:12] Speaker 3: I've visited the beginning and we really grown. I've analyzed
[13:17] Speaker 3: the ending through a telescope.
[13:20] Speaker 7: Some things can work out.
[13:21] Speaker 3: Until they just don't smokey we here, you know, I
[13:32] Speaker 3: don't hate it.
[13:36] Speaker 7: We'll run borrow time, and I don't a waste.
[13:42] Speaker 9: Be the ocean between us closing.
[13:48] Speaker 3: And we're close, and I see the fences mending slowly.
[13:56] Speaker 8: Can we be open, forget about the rest and.
[14:03] Speaker 2: Start of over for the first time, I have.
[14:13] Speaker 9: The ocean between us clothes and we're closer, and I
[14:21] Speaker 9: see the fences Mandy slowly.
[14:25] Speaker 8: Can we realpen?
[14:29] Speaker 7: Forget about the rest and start.
[14:33] Speaker 3: Over for the first time, I can see clearly, first
[14:50] Speaker 3: time I can see.
[15:10] Speaker 1: When you were starting to play out? You know where
[15:13] Speaker 1: did you start playing? Did you play in bars? Did
[15:15] Speaker 1: you play at home? For you did a lot of
[15:17] Speaker 1: stuff on YouTube.
[15:18] Speaker 2: I know I did. Yeah, I was super shy.
[15:20] Speaker 5: I mean I still am. Like we were talking about,
[15:22] Speaker 5: I'm a shy writer. I was a very shy singer
[15:24] Speaker 5: as well, So I did a lot of it just
[15:26] Speaker 5: at home by myself when like no one was around.
[15:28] Speaker 5: That's where I like really practiced and did everything. And
[15:30] Speaker 5: then I didn't have a band until my first band,
[15:33] Speaker 5: you know, since I got signed, Like that was my
[15:35] Speaker 5: first time working with a band doing proper shows. And
[15:38] Speaker 5: was it hard to make that adjustment or was it
[15:41] Speaker 5: just like a relief to have people to do it with?
[15:44] Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
[15:45] Speaker 5: Yeah, it was honestly the latter. It was definitely a
[15:47] Speaker 5: relief because you know, when you're up there and as
[15:49] Speaker 5: such a shy person.
[15:50] Speaker 2: It's kind of all reliant on you.
[15:51] Speaker 5: And you know, I wasn't the most phenomenal guitar player,
[15:54] Speaker 5: and I can't really like shred and fill in space.
[15:56] Speaker 5: So I always felt like it was super naked up there,
[15:59] Speaker 5: and it's scary. It's scary when it's just you, you know,
[16:01] Speaker 5: because every mistake can be heard, and you know, it's
[16:03] Speaker 5: just it's very bare. So once I had this group
[16:06] Speaker 5: of people around me to one make my song sound
[16:09] Speaker 5: so full and rich, which is wonderful, but then also
[16:12] Speaker 5: just to have people up there with me felt really nice,
[16:15] Speaker 5: and it quickly became like a little family, you know,
[16:18] Speaker 5: it was very nice.
[16:19] Speaker 1: That's the best the family vibes on the road. Yeah, yeah,
[16:22] Speaker 1: it's definitely. It's the only way, yeah, to be close
[16:25] Speaker 1: to the people you're traveling.
[16:26] Speaker 5: With totally, especially when you're on you know, you're on
[16:28] Speaker 5: one bus. It's you know, I think people think touring
[16:31] Speaker 5: is maybe something that it isn't, and they don't realize
[16:34] Speaker 5: how tight knit you are and how oftentimes very you know,
[16:37] Speaker 5: not glamorous it can.
[16:39] Speaker 2: Be not at all, not at all.
[16:40] Speaker 5: There's nothing glamorous really about being on a tour bus.
[16:43] Speaker 5: So if you're around a bunch of strangers or you
[16:44] Speaker 5: don't get along, it can be taxing. It's yeah, you know,
[16:47] Speaker 5: so it's it's so nice to have a team that
[16:49] Speaker 5: I really love and feel very close to. Has it
[16:53] Speaker 5: changed a lot over the years.
[16:54] Speaker 2: It's changed slightly.
[16:56] Speaker 5: One of my band members, actually Eric, I think he
[16:59] Speaker 5: did some of your tech. Eric Krazinski, he was here. Oh,
[17:03] Speaker 5: I think he's the one who kind of put us
[17:04] Speaker 5: in contact many years ago. He's doing producing now, so
[17:07] Speaker 5: he doesn't really do too much live stuff anymore. And
[17:10] Speaker 5: then unfortunately my bass player passed away oh this year,
[17:14] Speaker 5: which is very devastating. Yeah, so my drummer is still
[17:17] Speaker 5: the same, thank you. My drummer is still the same.
[17:20] Speaker 5: You know, a couple of things have moved around, but
[17:21] Speaker 5: I still feel very close to everybody. Even the ones
[17:23] Speaker 5: you aren't tourn with me anymore, feel super close to
[17:26] Speaker 5: them and we.
[17:26] Speaker 2: Talk all the time. So yeah, things change.
[17:29] Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, But also being young, because you start
[17:32] Speaker 1: out so young, to be on the road that young,
[17:35] Speaker 1: it can be really hard.
[17:36] Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. It was challenging. It was very challenging.
[17:39] Speaker 1: Were you the youngest of the bunch or were there
[17:41] Speaker 1: a lot of other young people within the group.
[17:44] Speaker 5: I was the youngest. I had my guitar tech Leo
[17:47] Speaker 5: was around my age. He's like maybe three years older
[17:50] Speaker 5: than me. Everybody else was a lot older than me. Okay,
[17:53] Speaker 5: that was another thing too, yeah, which and they were
[17:55] Speaker 5: all men, Like I have my my manager Victoria, but
[17:59] Speaker 5: she wasn't on the road road with us very much,
[18:02] Speaker 5: so she's the only girl that was on the road.
[18:04] Speaker 5: Now I have my bass player now as a girl,
[18:07] Speaker 5: which would be so fun to.
[18:08] Speaker 2: Have her on the road.
[18:09] Speaker 5: Yeah, when you're traveling with a bunch of men who
[18:11] Speaker 5: are a lot older than you, it could be.
[18:12] Speaker 2: Very challenged, that's the thing. Yeah.
[18:15] Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know what your experience was like, or
[18:17] Speaker 5: if you had many other women on the road or
[18:19] Speaker 5: people your age. Thankfully, it did become a family. It
[18:21] Speaker 5: felt like I had a bunch of big brothers around
[18:24] Speaker 5: me all the time, which is very nice. But there's
[18:25] Speaker 5: a good situation, yeah, yeah, but there is that little
[18:28] Speaker 5: void of just having you know, people your age.
[18:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a different thing. Yeah, it's a different energy.
[18:34] Speaker 1: I had someone in my band early on who is
[18:36] Speaker 1: my best friend and my age, and we just groofed
[18:40] Speaker 1: around the whole time, and the rest of the band
[18:42] Speaker 1: was like ten to fifteen years older than us, And
[18:44] Speaker 1: when I think back, I just think of us being
[18:47] Speaker 1: so annoying, probably just like doing pranks.
[18:51] Speaker 5: My best friend used to travel with me too, and
[18:53] Speaker 5: I feel like that was our dynamic as well, like
[18:55] Speaker 5: mooning people.
[18:56] Speaker 2: Like oh oh wow, yeah, I mean, you know.
[19:00] Speaker 1: Because we're a kid thing, we were really just teenage boys,
[19:03] Speaker 1: I guess exactly.
[19:04] Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's the same exactly. It was the same
[19:06] Speaker 5: exact dynamic with my best friend, and I feel like
[19:08] Speaker 5: everybody was just so sick of us.
[19:10] Speaker 2: Yeah, but you don't realize until you're older. But gosh,
[19:13] Speaker 2: we had fun.
[19:14] Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, Oh my god, we were just having
[19:16] Speaker 5: a good time, so much fun.
[19:18] Speaker 2: Yeah, Because you have to have moments to be a kid.
[19:20] Speaker 5: I feel like this, this industry can kind of launch
[19:22] Speaker 5: you into adulthood really early on, and so it's nice
[19:25] Speaker 5: to just have moments to just be a young person,
[19:29] Speaker 5: you know.
[19:29] Speaker 1: And I also think we do this because we love
[19:32] Speaker 1: it and it is fun. Yeah, so you got to
[19:36] Speaker 1: find a way to keep it fun. So you're going
[19:38] Speaker 1: on tour, Hm, that's exciting. Yeah, I'm so excited.
[19:41] Speaker 5: It's been a long time since I've toured because my
[19:44] Speaker 5: last album I released, like.
[19:45] Speaker 2: You know, amidst like COVID time.
[19:47] Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, so I haven't toured since twenty nineteen, so
[19:50] Speaker 5: it's going to be Oh that's a long time.
[19:51] Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
[19:52] Speaker 5: It was like a very transformative six years. I mean,
[19:54] Speaker 5: as any six years are. I think, yeah, six years
[19:56] Speaker 5: is a long time. But yeah, I just feel really excited.
[19:59] Speaker 5: I feel like very antsy to get back out on stage.
[20:03] Speaker 5: It's going to be going to feel really good. M Yeah,
[20:05] Speaker 5: I think so.
[20:06] Speaker 2: I hope so, I know it will, but obviously nervous
[20:08] Speaker 2: because yeah.
[20:09] Speaker 1: I was gonna say, are you a little bit since
[20:11] Speaker 1: you haven't done it in a while?
[20:12] Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, to some degree. It's like riding a bike.
[20:14] Speaker 5: It's like wobbly at first, right, So I imagine I'll
[20:16] Speaker 5: be a little bit nervous in the beginning. I'm always nervous.
[20:19] Speaker 5: But it feels like I'm doing it again for the
[20:21] Speaker 5: first time in a weird way. It's strange, but.
[20:24] Speaker 1: That's kind of a beautiful thing, I think, yeah, because
[20:27] Speaker 1: there's that first time excitement and energy coming back in.
[20:31] Speaker 1: You know. Yeah, I'm excited for you, and I hope
[20:33] Speaker 1: you bring your dog for a little part of the
[20:35] Speaker 1: tour practice having the dog on the bus.
[20:38] Speaker 2: Yes, I think it'll be good.
[20:39] Speaker 5: The Canadian run is pretty short, so that might be
[20:42] Speaker 5: a good tester. That's a big take care see if
[20:44] Speaker 5: she'll be a good tour dog or that's good.
[20:46] Speaker 1: I find that it's really hard to get off the
[20:48] Speaker 1: road and not know what to do with yourself sometimes.
[20:51] Speaker 1: So did you end up finding like little other things
[20:54] Speaker 1: to do with yourself any hobbies?
[20:56] Speaker 5: Yeah, there were a few different things, honestly that I
[20:58] Speaker 5: picked up. I'm like a such a hobby person. I'll
[21:01] Speaker 5: like hyper fixate on something for months and then we'll
[21:03] Speaker 5: find another thing. I mean, first of all, I like
[21:05] Speaker 5: really tried to practice cooking. I got into cooking a
[21:08] Speaker 5: lot random other things I got into like tarot cards
[21:10] Speaker 5: and taro so I do that. I learned like all
[21:14] Speaker 5: about like perfumes and sense and I started collecting perfume,
[21:18] Speaker 5: which is a random thing, but it's just become like
[21:21] Speaker 5: a part of my life now, Like I know all
[21:23] Speaker 5: about like the notes and the top notes.
[21:25] Speaker 2: And all the different perfumes. Well, you smelled really good
[21:27] Speaker 2: when you can't remember. I was like, oh, yes, smell nice.
[21:30] Speaker 2: Whatever that is a compliment. I appreciate that, thank you.
[21:32] Speaker 5: Yeah, I've been really into the alchemy of perfume, so
[21:35] Speaker 5: it's those are like some little things that I've been into.
[21:37] Speaker 1: It's funny, I've always felt like not being on the
[21:40] Speaker 1: road for a long time and not having any plan
[21:43] Speaker 1: to look ahead to, it's a weird place to be
[21:46] Speaker 1: for a musician.
[21:47] Speaker 5: It can be hard, especially when you know a lot
[21:49] Speaker 5: of my friends and people in my life are not
[21:51] Speaker 5: in the industry, so they have regular jobs and so
[21:54] Speaker 5: when I'm just like sitting at home, they have lives
[21:56] Speaker 5: and I'm just like, what am I doing? Yeah, And
[21:58] Speaker 5: it's it's strange, and I'm sure you probably find too.
[22:00] Speaker 5: It's like this job is very like zero or a thousand.
[22:03] Speaker 5: There's no like in there's no one hundred.
[22:05] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[22:05] Speaker 5: Yeah, It's like you're either on and you're like touring
[22:08] Speaker 5: the world and go, go, go, or you're just like
[22:09] Speaker 5: having an off period where you're doing nothing, and that
[22:12] Speaker 5: can be very jarring emotionally, mentally, physically.
[22:14] Speaker 2: So yeah, it's always so.
[22:16] Speaker 5: Strange because you know, everyone in my life just like
[22:18] Speaker 5: has their day to day routine, and I find when
[22:21] Speaker 5: I'm home it's very weird.
[22:22] Speaker 1: I feel like, what do I do with myself? You know,
[22:24] Speaker 1: it's a test, I think, yeah, for sure. Well, i've
[22:27] Speaker 1: seen some of your clips on YouTube. You should definitely
[22:30] Speaker 1: start a comedy routine. Really, yeah, you're funny man, really,
[22:34] Speaker 1: oh totally.
[22:35] Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, I love that. Oh my god.
[22:38] Speaker 2: I would love to.
[22:40] Speaker 5: Honestly, that's been kind of like a secret dream of
[22:42] Speaker 5: mine to like start acting and like yeah, and I
[22:44] Speaker 5: mean in school I started, like in high school, I
[22:46] Speaker 5: was like a theater kid, so I did a bunch
[22:47] Speaker 5: of plays and I was always doing like you know,
[22:50] Speaker 5: improv and stuff. So okay, it's always been something that
[22:52] Speaker 5: I found fun. I could see that being a thing
[22:55] Speaker 5: for you. You think, yeah, I think you're good at it,
[22:57] Speaker 5: and you know you like it, so.
[22:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, it would be fun. I don't know.
[23:00] Speaker 5: I have to just get over the fear of like
[23:02] Speaker 5: that I'm not good at it or that I wouldn't
[23:04] Speaker 5: be good at it and just like try it. Yeah yeah,
[23:07] Speaker 5: maybe who knows.
[23:08] Speaker 2: You're good? Thank you, good doll. You're gonna go far.
[23:11] Speaker 7: Thank you You're gonna.
[23:14] Speaker 2: That's great. I appreciate it.
[23:15] Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Thanks so much for doing this.
[23:18] Speaker 1: Thank you do you want to do one more song?
[23:20] Speaker 2: I love Do you Feel like It?
[23:22] Speaker 1: This was the first one that really stood out to me.
[23:24] Speaker 1: I love this song. This is subside. Yes, yeah, it's
[23:29] Speaker 1: It's got a really cool chord structure, and I love
[23:33] Speaker 1: the words on the chorus too, and there's like three
[23:35] Speaker 1: choruses and they're all really good.
[23:38] Speaker 2: Yeah did you happened? I don't know this just how
[23:41] Speaker 2: I wrote it. I don't know why.
[23:43] Speaker 5: It's so interesting when I you know, I've been rehearsing
[23:45] Speaker 5: it with my band and like playing it live. I'm
[23:47] Speaker 5: always like, where does this start? Really like it feels
[23:50] Speaker 5: like an endless loop, almost like there's no real start
[23:53] Speaker 5: or end.
[23:54] Speaker 2: It's just kind of I kind of love that.
[23:56] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[23:56] Speaker 2: I love loopy songs me too.
[23:58] Speaker 1: But it's cool when it gets the first thing, I'm like,
[24:02] Speaker 1: oh I love this course.
[24:03] Speaker 2: Oh wait, there's no there's a course. They're all good,
[24:07] Speaker 2: thank you.
