The adverts are not chosen by us, but played automatically depending on the platform you listen through (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc) and the country you live in. The adverts may even be different if you listen to the story twice. We have had a handful of instances where an advert has played that is not suitable for a family audience, despite the podcast clearly being labelled for children. If you’re concerned about an advert you hear, please contact the platform you are listening to directly. Spotify, in particular, has proven problematic in the past, for both inappropriate adverts and the volume at which the adverts play. If you find this happening, please let Spotify know via their Facebook customer care page. As creators, we want your child’s experience to be a pleasurable one. Running adverts is necessary to allow us to operate, but please do consider the premium subscription service as an alternative – it’s advert free.

[0:00] Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to a special taster of our new
[0:03] Speaker 1: premium only story. We hope you like it. Hell Yale, Hello,
[0:23] Speaker 1: I'm Josephine and this is the Animal Tales podcast, home
[0:27] Speaker 1: to over four hundred and fifty stories written just for you.
[0:31] Speaker 1: Our Friday story is especially for our Premium subscribers only.
[0:36] Speaker 1: Ocean is a premium member for my beither, and he
[0:39] Speaker 1: would like a story with a velociraptor, a t rex,
[0:43] Speaker 1: a triceratops, and a wooly mammoth. Don't forget to listen
[0:47] Speaker 1: to the animal facts after the story to learn more
[0:50] Speaker 1: about these creatures. For now, it's time to sit back
[0:54] Speaker 1: and get comfy, because it's time to begin. I need
[0:59] Speaker 1: four dinosaurs. Ocean was the richest person in the whole
[1:05] Speaker 1: wide world. He'd lost count of how much money he had,
[1:10] Speaker 1: but he thought it was somewhere in the squillions. Having
[1:13] Speaker 1: so much money meant that Ocean could buy almost anything
[1:17] Speaker 1: he wanted. So he tried big houses, fast cars, and
[1:22] Speaker 1: enormous yachts, but none of those really excited him. What
[1:28] Speaker 1: I want is something different, he decided, something so amazing
[1:33] Speaker 1: that nobody else has it or could possibly ever afford it.
[1:38] Speaker 1: But what could something like that be. Ocean thought about
[1:43] Speaker 1: this problem a lot, but whatever he thought of, somebody
[1:47] Speaker 1: else had already done it. He thought about buying a
[1:51] Speaker 1: movie studio, or a rocket ship company, or a car manufacturer,
[1:57] Speaker 1: but all those things had been done before. It wasn't
[2:01] Speaker 1: until he was watching one of his favorite films that
[2:04] Speaker 1: an idea finally fell into place. The film he was
[2:08] Speaker 1: watching was Jurassic Park, where a man builds a theme
[2:13] Speaker 1: park and fills it with dinosaurs. That's what I'm going
[2:17] Speaker 1: to do, Ocean announced loudly. I'm going to build my
[2:22] Speaker 1: very own dinosaur park. There's a very good reason nobody
[2:28] Speaker 1: had done this so far. It was practically impossible. But
[2:32] Speaker 1: Ocean had something that just might make the impossible happen. Money,
[2:37] Speaker 1: and lots of it. He got together a team of scientists,
[2:42] Speaker 1: boffins and eggheads and explained that he was willing to
[2:46] Speaker 1: spend an entire squillion of his fortune in order to
[2:49] Speaker 1: make his dream happen. Doctor Copprolyte, the lead scientist, made
[2:55] Speaker 1: lots of notes, nodded with enthusiasm, then took her team
[3:00] Speaker 1: away to work out if they thought it could be done.
[3:04] Speaker 1: They got back to report to Ocean. A week later,
[3:08] Speaker 1: What news do you have for me, asked Ocean excitedly.
[3:14] Speaker 1: There's good news and bad news, reported Doctor Copprolite. Seriously,
[3:20] Speaker 1: then give me the good news, first, replied Ocean. We
[3:25] Speaker 1: think we've worked out a way to bring dinosaurs back
[3:28] Speaker 1: to life, smiled Dr Copprolite with a slightly smug grin.
[3:34] Speaker 1: Well that's excellent news. That's exactly what I wanted to hear,
[3:39] Speaker 1: grinned Ocean. So what's the bad news? Doctor Kopprolite pushed
[3:45] Speaker 1: her glasses up her nose and tapped her pen on
[3:48] Speaker 1: her notebook. I'm afraid it's going to be expensive, very expensive.
[3:57] Speaker 1: But that's not a problem, laughed Ocean. I've already told
[4:01] Speaker 1: you I am willing to spend one squillion of my
[4:04] Speaker 1: fortune on this. Surely that's more than enough to fill
[4:07] Speaker 1: an entire park full of dinosaurs. Not quite, said Doctor Copprolyte,
[4:14] Speaker 1: fidgeting awkwardly. Not an entire park, said Ocean, with disappointment.
[4:21] Speaker 1: Then how many dinosaurs can I have? Er? Four, said
[4:27] Speaker 1: Doctor Coprolete. Four was not a lot of dinosaurs, Not
[4:33] Speaker 1: when you're paying one squillion for them, Sir Ocean comforted himself.
[4:38] Speaker 1: With the knowledge that at least it would be four
[4:40] Speaker 1: more dinosaurs than the world currently had at that moment.
[4:45] Speaker 1: Four dinosaurs felt like it would still be an impressive park,
[4:49] Speaker 1: whereas anything less felt like it would be a disappointment.
[4:54] Speaker 1: So it will be four, said Ocean double checking. Definitely
[5:00] Speaker 1: four dinosaurs. That's what you're promising me. Four dinosaurs. Definitely four, sir, confirmed,
[5:10] Speaker 1: Doctor Copprolte. If you'd like to hear more, please join
[5:14] Speaker 1: our premium service. You can find out how in the description.
[5:19] Speaker 1: The premium service means. You can listen to all animal
[5:22] Speaker 1: tales stories advert free, get bonus stories, and we guarantee
[5:27] Speaker 1: to turn your animal suggestion into a future tale. I
[5:31] Speaker 1: look forward to seeing you there.
