A lot of people often dismissed AI advances by saying things like "tell me when it can do my laundry". Well, now, it can! Not just laundry, it can do a lot more. At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the tech world made its biggest pivot since the smartphone, from software AI to Physical AI This week, we break down the CES reveals that are moving artificial intelligence out of your phone screen and into your home, factory, and car: TIMESTAMPS 0:00 – The CES 2026 Pivot: From Chatbots to Physical AI 0:38 – The Humanoid Invasion (Boston Dynamics Atlas, LG CLOiD) 1:20 – The New "Brains": Tesla AI5, Intel Ultra 3, NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra 2:05 – Why This Matters: Silver Squeeze Connection 10:00 – The 2026 Investment Rotation KEY TAKEAWAYS ✅ Humanoids Are Here: Boston Dynamics' new Atlas uses Google DeepMind AI for real factory work. LG's CLOiD does your laundry autonomously. ✅ Edge AI Chips: Tesla's AI5 is 40x faster for robot autonomy. Intel's 18A chips bring massive LLMs to your laptop. ✅ The Real Driver: Physical AI explains the "Energy War" (power plants for training) and "Silver Squeeze" (conductivity for sensors) from our previous episodes. ✅ Investment Shift: Money is moving from SaaS chatbots to "Hard Tech" (chips, power, materials). ## Transcript

[0:00] 2026 might be the year when AI goes physical.
[0:04] In 2025 we debated what artificial intelligence could
[0:07] write, but in 2026 we are watching what it can actually do
[0:13] at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The tech world has shifted its
[0:18] focus from software models to physical AI, the integration of
[0:22] high level reasoning into humanoid robots and autonomous
[0:25] machines. This shift represents the most
[0:28] significant change in the tech landscape since the smartphone,
[0:32] moving AI from our screens into our homes and factories.
[0:38] Humanoid robots have taken center stage this week with
[0:41] major reviews from the world's leading engineering firms.
[0:44] Hyundai owned Boston Dynamics stunned audiences by unveiling
[0:48] the latest generation of its Atlas robot, which now uses
[0:52] Google DeepMind AI to perform complex, fluid tasks without
[0:56] human guidance. LG introduced the Cloyed Home
[1:00] Assistant, a household humanoid designed to autonomously handle
[1:04] laundry, dishwashing and general home organization.
[1:08] Startup Switchboard demonstrated the one row H1 robot
[1:12] specifically marketed as the first affordable humanoid cable
[1:16] of multi room household management.
[1:18] Another theme that came up was the local brain.
[1:21] For physical AI to work, it cannot rely on the lag of the
[1:25] cloud. It needs massive processing
[1:27] power directly on its device. Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed
[1:32] that new AI5 chip is now 40 times faster than previous
[1:35] generations, allowing Tesla's Optimus robots and cars to think
[1:39] in real time. Intel debuted its Core Ultra
[1:42] Series 3 chips, the first to be built on the Advanced 18, a
[1:46] process which allows laptops and robots to run massive AI models
[1:51] locally and privately. NVIDIA unveiled the Blackwell
[1:55] Ultra architecture, which delivers A5 week speed boost in
[1:59] training the complex world models that robots used to
[2:02] navigate physical spaces. Let's look at the industrial
[2:05] connection here. This pivot to physical AI
[2:08] explains the macro trends we have been tracking in our
[2:11] previous videos. The silver rally we discussed is
[2:14] directly linked to the hardware explosion, as humanoid sensors
[2:18] and high speed AFI processors require massive amounts of
[2:21] silver for its superior conductivity.
[2:24] As the lawn must wander next, the industrial need for these
[2:27] materials is no longer optional, it is the bottleneck for the
[2:30] entire 2026 tech road map. We are witnessing a great
[2:35] rotation in the tech industry, from pure software SAS to hot
[2:38] tech and infrastructure investors are shifting focus
[2:42] from companies that build chat bots to those that build the
[2:45] chips, the power, and the physical bodies of the AI
[2:48] revolution. The machines unveiled at CES
[2:51] this week are not just any products, they are the new
[2:54] workforce of a physical economy that is just beginning to take
[2:58] shape. If you want to understand where
[3:00] the money is moving in 2026, look past the software and watch
[3:05] the machines. That's all for this week.
[3:07] We'll be back next week with another story from the front
[3:09] lines of global investing VC10X.
