In this episode of Changing Lives Financially, we sit down with Ashley & Theresa alongside their Relationship Manager, Amanda, to unpack their journey from financial stress and uncertainty to clarity, confidence, and rapid progress with Infinity. Before joining Infinity, Ashley & Theresa were earning the most they ever had, yet felt stuck and constantly stressed about bills. With a $575k home loan, an existing investment property, no savings, credit card debt, and no real budget, they felt like they were going nowhere despite working hard. After watching the free webinar and attending the Masterclass at the end of February 2025, they knew something had to change — and decided to take action. Since joining Infinity, their transformation has been powerful. They’ve eliminated credit card debt, sold their existing investment property, built a portfolio of three investment properties (including one in SMSF) valued at $2.43 million, reduced their FFF to $600 for a family of five, and built a strong SMSF cash position. Ashley also shares how the 60 Strong challenge became a personal turning point, both physically and mentally. Throughout the episode, Ashley & Theresa talk openly about what it’s really like having a Relationship Manager, the importance of ongoing support and communication, and how the Infinity community, including charity involvement, has played a huge role in keeping them motivated and accountable. They also reflect on the values they want to pass on to their kids and the advice they’d give anyone considering starting their own Infinity journey. 👉 Watch the free webinar to start your journey: https://bit.ly/43V2jKN

## Transcript

[0:00] We should just smash our mortgage and just get us closer to that.
[0:03] We were just talking about earlier what got us excited with the masterclass and it was definitely using the calculator and seeing our mortgage be done within seven years.
[0:13] And then now we're only eight months into infinity and our mortgage is going to be done well before that, which just blows our minds.
[0:19] Like we were the people listening to the podcast before we were a member of the podcast.
[0:24] listening to the people going, wouldn't that be amazing?
[0:27] Oh my God, wouldn't that be so cool?
[0:29] And now we sit and speaking about our journey, it is a bit unbelievable what we've achieved in under a year.
[0:37] Money is the root of all evil, the fucking lack of it is.
[0:40] Not money, the lack of understanding money.
[0:43] When I put that into emphasis, when I realised our psychological effect and how it hit our family, I FDB in the fucking way.
[0:52] with Graham Hines.
[0:54] Graham Hines.
[0:55] You're fucking gone.
[0:58] See ya.
[0:59] Hi guys, my name is Amanda.
[1:01] I'm one of the relationship managers here at Infinity Group.
[1:03] Today I'm joined by Ash and Teresa.
[1:05] Thanks guys for joining.
[1:07] Thanks for having us.
[1:08] So I'd love to know, well, I know a lot about you guys, but for everybody else, who are you?
[1:14] Where are you from?
[1:15] What does your life look like?
[1:17] Yeah, Ash and Teresa or Tez as most people call her.
[1:20] We're up in central Queensland.
[1:23] I'm an electrician leading hand out at one of the mines out from where we are.
[1:29] So 7-7, Teresa's admin assistant.
[1:33] We've got three kids.
[1:34] Yep.
[1:35] And yeah.
[1:36] Yeah, we've got a boy eight, girl five, and then our youngest just turned four.
[1:43] So we're in the trenches at the moment of parenthood.
[1:45] You really are.
[1:47] You're deep in it.
[1:47] Yeah, we're deep.
[1:48] And I feel you.
[1:49] I feel you.
[1:50] We're deep in it.
[1:51] You're the light at the end of the tunnel.
[1:52] We see the light at the end of the tunnel.
[1:54] I'm always here to tell you what amazing things that are going to come.
[1:57] You've just got like another decade or so.
[1:59] Yeah, yeah.
[2:00] But it's coming.
[2:00] Yeah.
[2:01] So what does your family life look like?
[2:03] You know, what are some of the things that you guys like to do or, you know, some of the things that you guys enjoy doing?
[2:09] Hmm.
[2:10] I don't know, I guess the biggest thing is just time with each other, I guess.
[2:16] Yeah.
[2:16] Because we've been away sort of half the year.
[2:18] Yep.
[2:19] Missing out on half of everything that happens.
[2:21] So I guess when we've got the time, it's just to go chill out with the kids down the beach or, you know, yeah, get out.
[2:28] Yeah, quality time is definitely a cup filler for us as a family.
[2:34] Yeah, our son plays a lot of sports, so that fills a lot of weekends up as well.
[2:40] Okay.
[2:41] But, yeah, hobbies, I guess, at the moment, well, I don't even really know.
[2:48] What are hobbies?
[2:49] What are hobbies?
[2:50] It's called debt reduction.
[2:52] Monthly sweeping.
[2:53] There you go.
[2:53] Throw in a bit of 60 strong every now and then.
[2:55] Yeah.
[2:55] That's where we put it all down.
[2:56] Yeah.
[2:57] Yeah, exactly.
[2:58] Okay.
[2:58] So what brought you guys to infinity?
[3:00] What was the moment?
[3:02] How did you find us and was it immediate or did it take you guys some time to get to that point?
[3:09] I guess it was just...
[3:11] It was the same thing over and over again.
[3:13] You know, money coming in, money going out, and always trying to do something with it, more just save it than anything, you know.
[3:23] And you feel like you just get ahead, then something else would hit you.
[3:26] And it just felt like, yeah.
[3:28] We're in a hamster wheel.
[3:28] Yeah, Greenhog Day.
[3:29] Yeah, we're in a hamster wheel.
[3:31] And we were, 2024, we were very sick of it.
[3:33] We...
[3:36] really knew that we needed to do something differently.
[3:38] Like we were never short on money, but it wasn't working for us.
[3:41] We wanted to make our money work for us.
[3:44] So 2024, we knew that in 2025 we were going to do something different.
[3:48] Externally we were going to get help because what we were doing was the same old shit.
[3:53] It wasn't really working for us.
[3:54] So we knew we wanted to get help externally.
[3:58] And we jumped on the Barefoot Investor train.
[4:00] That's where we began.
[4:01] Yep.
[4:02] So many people do that.
[4:04] So many buckets.
[4:06] yeah that i guess that was the start yeah it was the prompt to push yes do something yeah um and actually like obvious do something then get help as well whether we didn't know where that help was going to come from but i guess our first step was that barefoot invested like it was such a big thing a few years ago and everyone still talked about you know so we jumped on that train and went went down that road we didn't really get too far in and
[4:30] come across infinity as well like we'd seen i'd seen a couple of ads um but then one of like my good mates trab he'd seen it and was talking to us about it and that sort of i'm like oh yeah i know who you're talking about he's like oh you know the little angry dude the little short angry fat dude who talks about debt recycling have you seen him and i'm like no i have no idea who you're talking about so you know the little angry fat guy
[4:52] he'll love that love that if we're not in infinity anymore after this I didn't say it I'm just repeating what was said probably could have left it out no it was it sorry G
[5:06] But, yeah, Ash had already seen him pop up with a couple of things, but he was in the suit and tie.
[5:11] Yeah.
[5:11] So it didn't really resonate with us.
[5:12] We're like, no, it's kind of a bit too corporate-y for us.
[5:15] We just wanted someone to kind of help redirect us.
[5:18] We don't want to go into a whole corporate way of looking at things, like the way that he presented himself and what we saw.
[5:25] Not that it just seemed like, oh, this seems like it's a bit too, you know what I mean?
[5:29] Nearly staged, which I know that may sound bad.
[5:31] But, yeah, and then...
[5:33] So we looked again and then the Both Sides podcast started popping up.
[5:37] Ah, you saw the real side of Jay.
[5:38] Yeah, and that was the thing.
[5:39] And we said that with Rach before.
[5:40] It was like that's what resonated.
[5:43] Oh, so like he's just, this is him.
[5:44] He's not trying to pretend to be, I need to be showy, I need to this, this is me.
[5:48] He hates the suit.
[5:49] Yeah, if you like it, all good.
[5:51] If not, don't really give a shit, you know.
[5:53] Like it's, and yeah, and I guess how just real and raw and.
[5:57] Okay.
[5:57] Yeah, what he put out there.
[6:00] Yeah, definitely got us sort of listening.
[6:02] Listening to podcasts and that's how we started.
[6:04] You know, hearing like Casey and Lenny's story and going back and listening to all those ones and it's like, oh, this seems like something we could get around.
[6:15] So then we put the kids to bed one night and watched the free webinar and after that we were kind of like,
[6:24] Oh, yeah, that gets you sort of going.
[6:26] That sparks something, yeah.
[6:28] It does, doesn't it?
[6:29] Oh, 100%.
[6:31] You start going, fuck these banks.
[6:33] Yeah, right?
[6:34] What have I been doing and why have I been doing it like this for so long?
[6:37] And that was the thing.
[6:38] We'd sort of start obviously looking into it and you start seeing –
[6:41] how much you pay a month, how much actually comes off it.
[6:44] And then, yeah, pretty much we looked at, you know, the life of the home loan, my retirement age, and those years pretty much matched.
[6:52] And it's like I'm not working away, you know, and not getting stuck working away to make it easier.
[6:56] Yeah.
[6:57] just to get to the end of retirement and all we've got is the house paid off.
[7:01] Like that's, you know, that's not really, I guess, our retirement plan of, you know, that would then become our main investment, I guess, of, okay, well, you can sell the house when we want to downsize and stuff like that.
[7:11] But that's not what we wanted.
[7:13] We wanted more.
[7:14] Yeah, trying to get set up and obviously be hopefully one day in a position where we can help our kids as well.
[7:20] Yeah.
[7:20] Okay.
[7:21] Yeah.
[7:21] And then Ash did have a couple of health scares in 2024 too.
[7:25] So that kind of really...
[7:27] made us stop in our tracks and think, okay, if Ash wasn't earning the money he's earning.
[7:32] What are we doing?
[7:33] Yeah, and that's right.
[7:34] How would we do?
[7:35] And so that kind of.
[7:37] Takes a lot away.
[7:38] It all ended up being all fine, all clear, but it was a few months of just, yeah, shitty thinking because it took a while to go from this is what we think it is to get into like a specialist to then find out, no, you're all sweet.
[7:50] Like so.
[7:51] Yeah, that changed the mindset and sort of pushed it over 2025.
[7:54] We've got to do something.
[7:56] So it really, yeah, those couple of things, yeah, really kind of we were already stuck in a rut of getting frustrated with our finances.
[8:07] We're earning the most we've ever earned.
[8:09] Getting nowhere.
[8:10] Getting nowhere.
[8:10] That was frustrating in itself.
[8:12] And then Ash with these couple of health scares, yeah,
[8:15] really made us go okay now we need to actually do something i guess yeah it gives you the thing of what if i was no longer able to earn the money or like that got taken off the table you know and it's sort of obviously you can insure yourself to the hills but it's not really a um a strategy as such going well at least if something happens they'll be looked after because but you know yeah i guess you want to leave a bit more of a legacy and be able to yeah
[8:39] So we did the masterclass, right?
[8:43] Signed up.
[8:43] Signed up.
[8:44] So when did that happen?
[8:45] What month?
[8:46] So masterclass we did at the end of Feb.
[8:48] Cool.
[8:48] Okay.
[8:48] All right.
[8:49] And then, yeah, it signed up straight away.
[8:51] Yep.
[8:52] So, yeah, we sort of looked at obviously the cost of the masterclass and I was like, well, you know, realistically...
[8:59] We've had weekends or whatever where you're spending that sort of money.
[9:01] Like it's in the big scheme of things.
[9:04] You're investing in yourself.
[9:05] Yeah, and that's the thing.
[9:06] Even if it's something we didn't go down the road of, it was still like a, yep, we're happy with it.
[9:12] And then as soon as you did the master class, like –
[9:14] the thought of sitting in front of a computer for that long for two days you sort of go geez how's this going to go but as soon as it starts it was just yeah you're invested you're hooked and you sit there till god knows when it not whenever gee wants to pull up you know yeah and he had late nights but we were hooked we were so hooked and it was like rock paper scissors who was going to go pick up the kids to get away from that we had kids yeah yeah yeah yeah so yeah
[9:38] Yeah, so after that it was – but actually we won our – Feedback.
[9:45] Our fee back with the master class, so that was pretty cool.
[9:49] That's cool.
[9:50] So that still cost us nothing.
[9:51] Yeah, well done.
[9:52] So they're very generous in that way.
[9:54] Yeah.
[9:55] I feel like that may have been a bit of karma maybe.
[9:57] With everything that you guys had going on, it was just reaffirming that this was the right step, right?
[10:03] And you weren't having to incur something in order to –
[10:06] Just to take the lead.
[10:07] Yes.
[10:07] Yeah.
[10:08] Yeah.
[10:08] Yeah.
[10:09] Yeah.
[10:09] So you then met with a finance strategist.
[10:13] Yeah.
[10:14] Ran over everything.
[10:15] Mm-hmm.
[10:15] What your position is.
[10:16] Yep.
[10:16] If you had any goals, what we wanted to do.
[10:18] Yep.
[10:19] So we had, oh, there was, yeah, it was a good, yeah.
[10:22] So it was sort of, yeah, February we did that, got signed up.
[10:25] Mm-hmm.
[10:25] We probably had a bit of a slower process with getting everything.
[10:28] Like it wasn't until May that we actually had all our accounts, everything tidied over because, yeah,
[10:34] There was a few things around tidy-ups and that with Infinity.
[10:37] G was going through a bit of a process, so we sort of changed a couple of people in our team and stuff like that.
[10:43] But then, yeah, got signed up.
[10:45] And that's how we got you two, actually.
[10:47] Yeah, exactly.
[10:48] Which, again, it's funny how the way the universe works because it's been amazing having you.
[10:53] But, yeah, restructured.
[10:54] It's been amazing having you guys.
[10:56] Love it.
[10:57] Restructured, yeah.
[10:58] Yeah.
[10:59] But yeah, so then May then.
[11:01] Cool.
[11:02] First sweep in June.
[11:03] Awesome.
[11:04] So I guess off the back of me, let's talk about me for a bit.
[11:09] What's it like having a relationship manager?
[11:11] It's what we were looking for.
[11:13] Really?
[11:13] You were the third person in our relationship that we were looking for.
[11:16] Oh, God.
[11:17] Wow.
[11:17] We need to hold hands.
[11:20] No, you're exactly what we were looking for.
[11:22] When, like, 2024, we knew we needed someone to kind of hold our hand, help us.
[11:28] Yeah.
[11:29] Because we're on the same page with everything, but we just kept butting heads because we just –
[11:34] needed, I don't know, just a third person to go.
[11:37] Yeah.
[11:37] And I guess the little wins, you see it, then that little win goes real quick, you know.
[11:41] Because I guess you're not really, like prior to you I'm talking about it, because you're not held accountable as such, you know, and you would do this.
[11:49] Oh, look, we've been trying.
[11:50] No, we'll just get this or do that.
[11:52] And you sort of...
[11:53] And we were tit for tat too.
[11:54] Well, you spent here.
[11:55] Well, I can spend here.
[11:56] Yeah.
[11:57] Okay.
[11:57] So it was very much, we were a team, but it was a little bit you against me sometimes too as well.
[12:02] Yeah.
[12:03] Which is a shit way to be, you know, but I guess that that's one of the things of a bit of financial stress and that it does put pressure on, not that it was pressure on the relationships, but it does cause those little arguments.
[12:14] Of course it does.
[12:14] Disagreements and stuff like that.
[12:16] Finance can be hard to talk about.
[12:17] 100%.
[12:18] And it was, it was never talked about in a good light, I guess.
[12:22] Mm-hmm.
[12:22] Whenever finances, we spoke about things openly, but whenever it was brought up, it was because...
[12:29] it was because i don't know we needed to the mortgage repayments coming up and actually so it's nice to have a third person that can if we've got questions about this is coming up this holiday is coming up ash is doing the shitbox rally whatever it may be yeah it's not just him and me talking to each other and me you know and i was getting frustrated with things it's a third
[12:53] hey, you can pull it from here, move it here, think about tightening up here like it's another person to talk to about it who is, you know, so educated in it.
[13:03] And I also don't come from, I guess, an emotional standpoint either.
[13:06] No, that's right.
[13:07] So very true.
[13:08] Yeah, so I see your – purely your figures, not you guys as, you know, persons.
[13:14] That's different.
[13:15] But I see your figures as that, right?
[13:17] So I can hopefully sit back a little bit, reflect a little bit more on it and then give you guys –
[13:23] another viewpoint and go 100% that's not emotionally triggered certain things that yeah so that's how it's it's helped so very much like with our dynamic with everything and it was exactly what we were looking for when we were looking for something this is yeah exactly it it's changed i guess our mindset too because you know prior to it's just okay look the money's gone yeah whatever like it's
[13:48] So now I guess with doing it all in the sweeps and that, we've had some bumper months, we've had some lower months, but I guess what it does is we then go, why have we had this lower month?
[13:59] And then we're reflecting on, we'll go through our stuff as well and go, okay, this has happened, this expense has changed, this has come out.
[14:06] So it's sort of, I guess you're looking for the whys in it, not just have we spent stupidly and this is why we've put ourselves in this position.
[14:13] It's sort of- You're not accepting your position as-
[14:16] sort of the end, right?
[14:19] You're going, no, no, no.
[14:20] Yeah, this has happened.
[14:21] Okay.
[14:22] Why did it happen?
[14:23] How can we, you know, be better the next month?
[14:26] What does that look like?
[14:28] Can we put into place some strategies so that we have that continued success, right?
[14:34] We do want you guys to sweep every month.
[14:36] That's how we're going to smash that loan out.
[14:38] Yeah.
[14:38] We also appreciate that from time to time, you're going to have these expenses that you just can't,
[14:44] anticipate are going to come up.
[14:45] And that's why we set in place things like buffers and those sorts of things.
[14:50] So I guess what you're saying is you're feeling a lot more comfortable, confident.
[14:56] your relationship around money is a lot more positive, hopefully.
[14:59] Yeah.
[14:59] A hundred percent.
[15:00] Yeah.
[15:00] The conversations are more, you know, free-flowing and maybe not so much you guys pinning yourselves against each other maybe.
[15:08] Yeah.
[15:08] Yeah, yeah.
[15:09] A hundred percent.
[15:10] Yeah, absolutely.
[15:11] And also someone else to celebrate the wins too.
[15:15] Oh, I love a good celebration.
[15:16] Yeah.
[15:16] I do love a good celebration.
[15:18] So that's a nice feeling too.
[15:19] We've got, you know, someone else that can kind of see the work and everything that we're doing and –
[15:25] Your wins are mine, honestly.
[15:26] Yeah, and we feel that.
[15:27] And I know that might sound a little bit like cheesy, but I genuinely feel, and that's across the board with everybody that I work with.
[15:36] Their success is mine.
[15:38] It reflects my input to, you know, their goals and them achieving it.
[15:45] And so I get so excited when I pull up your portal and I see that you've swept, I'm like, ho, ho, team.
[15:51] Yeah.
[15:52] And we feel it.
[15:52] We feel it.
[15:53] And it just makes us want to do better, you know, 100%.
[15:57] And even celebrating, we were just talking about,
[16:00] Like our one-year wedding anniversary and we got a camper.
[16:03] We're like, how the heck did Amanda even – She's a ninja.
[16:07] Like how did she even remember that?
[16:09] Like, you know, just little things like that too.
[16:11] I forgot it.
[16:12] No, you didn't.
[16:14] You better know.
[16:15] No, I sort of did.
[16:16] When I booked the rally, I sort of did.
[16:17] Yeah.
[16:17] We remember.
[16:18] Oh, dear.
[16:19] So what does your life look like now with Infinity?
[16:24] How have things changed now?
[16:27] that I guess people maybe externally to myself and your team, what might they see?
[16:34] happening in your world at the moment.
[16:36] Like you've got an investment property, yeah?
[16:38] Yeah, I've got a couple.
[16:38] You guys are.
[16:40] Yeah.
[16:40] Well, no, I'm more talking about the one that we've just.
[16:43] Oh, the one that.
[16:44] Yeah.
[16:45] So that the old.
[16:46] The dog.
[16:47] The dog.
[16:47] The old home.
[16:48] The old primary that become an investment.
[16:51] Investment that, yeah.
[16:52] You know, you shouldn't have been held on to it at all.
[16:54] But we did.
[16:55] We did.
[16:55] Yeah.
[16:57] So that's just when I went on unconditional Monday and then settlement on the 15th and another 10 days.
[17:03] Yeah.
[17:03] What a Christmas present.
[17:04] So it should be a good sweep before Chrissy.
[17:06] Yeah.
[17:06] Well, after Chrissy because of the 28th.
[17:08] Yeah.
[17:09] It'll be in there.
[17:10] Yeah.
[17:10] We should just smash our mortgage and just get us closer to that.
[17:14] We were just talking about earlier what got us excited with the masterclass and it was definitely using the calculator and seeing our mortgage be done within seven years.
[17:24] And then now we're only eight months into infinity and our mortgage is going to be done well before that.
[17:28] Which just blows our minds.
[17:30] Like we were the people listening to the podcast before we were, I remember, listening to the people going, oh, wouldn't that be amazing?
[17:38] Oh, my God, wouldn't that be so cool?
[17:40] And now we sit and speaking about our journey, it's just it is a bit...
[17:45] unbelievable what we've achieved in under a year yeah i guess that's a big realization of when it all gets put in front of you and you're thinking how's this work and you're trying to figure it all out and thinking that this can't be right like these numbers have to be wrong and we did when we first um got the strategy put to us at the very start
[18:04] the poor team.
[18:05] We were like, run the numbers again.
[18:07] This is so wrong.
[18:08] Run the numbers again.
[18:09] No, run it again.
[18:10] That can't be true.
[18:11] But surely we don't earn that much.
[18:13] When you, you know, like it didn't seem, but of course you guys know exactly what you're doing.
[18:18] And every dollar has a purpose these days, doesn't it?
[18:21] Yeah.
[18:21] Every single dollar, whether or not it's offsetting your interest, whether or not it's, you know, paying some of your debts, those sorts of things.
[18:31] We account for everything, which is so great about the portal.
[18:34] You can see everything.
[18:35] You know where it's going.
[18:36] Yeah.
[18:37] You can reflect on your income and expense.
[18:39] Yes, 100%, which is exactly the opposite of what we were doing.
[18:42] Yeah, no, that's right.
[18:44] Did you have a budget before us?
[18:45] God, no.
[18:46] No, we used to think, oh, we'll only spend this much on this, this, and that.
[18:50] We never stuck to it.
[18:50] No.
[18:51] Okay.
[18:51] You know, yeah, you tried, but you never held accountable by it.
[18:56] And again, if we, it was tit for tat, it was like, well, I needed that for this and you spent here.
[19:01] So now it's just a blanket.
[19:03] Okay.
[19:03] This is our FFF.
[19:04] And that's.
[19:05] Once that's gone, it's gone.
[19:06] It's final.
[19:08] So what did we start our FFF at?
[19:10] 700.
[19:11] And what are we at now?
[19:12] 600.
[19:13] Okay.
[19:13] And what does that change reflect?
[19:15] How did you reduce the $100?
[19:17] Well, we, I guess a lot of the times with the $700, there was still a bit left over.
[19:23] Like it might have ranged from $50 to $100.
[19:26] But then I was doing the $60 strong.
[19:28] So part of that was the financial side.
[19:31] We put a little bit away each day.
[19:32] You had to do it each day.
[19:34] And that was equivalent to about $50 a week.
[19:36] And then we also did that.
[19:38] FFF challenge for the month, which was the reduce it by 100.
[19:43] So then we did a month sitting 150, you know, a 550 FFF, which was fairly tight with, you know, family of five, three young kids sort of thing.
[19:54] But then we sort of said, well, once that's over, we might as well knock it down.
[19:58] Like it's, you know, we'd had some other expenses that had gone up, like childcare and, you know,
[20:03] um tes was working a little bit more which is great because there's more money in but obviously then you miss out on some stuff elsewhere correct um yeah so yeah that was more expensive it's like well where we can save a little bit to try and offset that let's let's do it so that's exactly why we do those challenges yeah to make us make us see exactly yeah because sometimes even when we have those conversations and i might go
[20:26] maybe we need to reassess it.
[20:27] There still might be some hesitance, right?
[20:30] But when we give you a little bit of a carrot dangle and go, do you want to win some money?
[20:34] Just got to do this for a month.
[20:37] Come back and we'll check it out.
[20:39] You actually get confident because you're like, actually, we could totally do this.
[20:42] This is not hard.
[20:44] It's so doable.
[20:45] And off the back of that challenge...
[20:49] So many clients stuck with it.
[20:51] Yeah, how good is that?
[20:51] Yeah, a very small portion went, no, this was too tough.
[20:54] I do need to go back.
[20:56] Most of them went, it's totally fine.
[20:58] We can stick at this one.
[21:00] And that's what we want to see because those extra $100 every day
[21:04] you know, week, month, et cetera.
[21:05] Oh, adds up.
[21:06] Absolutely.
[21:07] Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure.
[21:09] Absolutely.
[21:10] So what are our plans?
[21:13] What have we currently got in the works from an investment perspective that you've committed to within Infinity?
[21:20] So we've got three investment properties all up.
[21:22] Yep.
[21:24] Two in our personal and one into our self-managed super.
[21:28] So we've changed, rolled into a self-managed super.
[21:30] Yep.
[21:32] Yes, that's actually pretty exciting, something we probably thought we never would.
[21:35] Yeah, that wasn't even a thought.
[21:38] When we first...
[21:40] We're looking for external help.
[21:42] We just wanted to get our mortgage kind of smashed.
[21:44] And then even signing up for Infinity, we really thought, no, we're just going to do the rapid repay.
[21:49] Yeah.
[21:49] But then once the strategy is laid out to you and you see what is actually possible.
[21:54] It blows your mind.
[21:56] We didn't ever think we would have three investment properties and our mortgage would be where it's at, like down to where it's at.
[22:04] And I guess it's cool to see how it all gets structured and, you know, like how they all land in their times.
[22:10] Yeah, it's all planned perfectly.
[22:11] You're still, you know, getting the benefits of it.
[22:14] Yeah.
[22:15] And the other thing is, too, we've got to realise, too, is like one of our properties getting built at the moment, once those payments start coming out, our sweeps will be less, but it's sort of like the short-term paying for the long-term gain, I guess, is, you know.
[22:26] Correct.
[22:26] Exactly that.
[22:27] Yeah.
[22:27] And then you've got a fully functional investment.
[22:29] Yeah.
[22:30] You'll have some income coming in from the tenant.
[22:32] Yeah.
[22:33] and then, you know, future considerations from there.
[22:36] Yeah.
[22:36] And it's kind of cool being at the process from the start.
[22:40] Obviously, it will be to the finish, but we're including our children with it too.
[22:43] So then kind of thinking, planting the seed of that investment is something that you can maybe think about doing for your finances.
[22:49] Yeah.
[22:49] Where we didn't, that wasn't even something that crossed our mind.
[22:52] No.
[22:52] We were always taught to you just work like a dog and pay off your mortgage.
[22:56] Yeah, and save what you can.
[22:56] Try not to spend, try and save.
[22:58] Yeah.
[22:58] And that was a...
[23:00] So we're kind of teaching the kids, hey, there's other ways.
[23:02] Yeah.
[23:03] Which is really, really cool because we're learning as we go and then they're kind of sitting aside watching as well.
[23:09] I've seen a lot of success for clients who have brought their kids in to the picture and had those open conversations.
[23:17] And you can make it like age specific.
[23:19] Yeah.
[23:20] You don't have to talk, you know, big words to a little kid.
[23:23] No, we don't talk numbers.
[23:24] It's just what's possible.
[23:26] Yeah.
[23:27] I've seen families who do like the little paper notes
[23:30] ringlet chains, right?
[23:32] Yeah, yeah.
[23:33] And every $5,000 or whatever the value is, the kids cut it.
[23:36] Yeah.
[23:37] And they get excited because it's a visual thing for kids, right?
[23:40] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[23:41] And then they've got those vision boards and they're colouring in and they get the kids involved in that.
[23:45] So there's so many ways that you can bring your kids into –
[23:48] this whole situation and give them some positive guidance that reflects their capacity and their understanding.
[23:56] 100%.
[23:57] Yeah, exactly.
[23:58] And as they get older, you have a little bit more conversation and you might find that just these little things could have such a huge impact.
[24:08] potential for their understanding yeah absolutely plants a seed and they don't have to we've had to restructure our whole way of thinking we've had to relearn a lot coming into infinity the way that we had our money set up the ideas of investing um we've had to relearn so if we can plant the seed in the kit with the kids
[24:29] now they won't have to relearn they already know that this is trying to give them a head start in it all yeah yeah because who knows where the world's going to go and what you know probably going to get harder and harder for them but it will absolutely and that's the thing there's no question yeah yeah you guys are you know gearing them to to be prepared and and hopefully not have to struggle or or learn the way you guys have right yeah yeah you're sort of giving them a little bit more
[24:54] you know, backing and support, which is lovely.
[24:58] So I guess on the support, we have an amazing community, right?
[25:01] So we have the Facebook group, we've got school now.
[25:04] So everybody's really, you know, invested and involved.
[25:08] We're all there to cheer each other on, right?
[25:10] You just got to look at the page and you see somebody posts something and then we've got so many posts going, congratulations, that's huge.
[25:17] Love that for you.
[25:18] Keep going.
[25:18] It's amazing.
[25:20] What community events have you guys been to?
[25:22] we've done did Ram in June we did Ram in June and we just had the Christmas time Christmas party last weekend yeah tell me about the Christmas party guys
[25:30] That was next level.
[25:31] Wasn't it just?
[25:32] It was like nothing we've ever seen before.
[25:35] To put, yeah.
[25:36] How can you put that into words?
[25:37] It was Coachella theme, so festival theme.
[25:41] Yeah.
[25:42] So much food.
[25:43] We actually went to each station because I wanted to try a bit of everything.
[25:46] Yeah.
[25:47] I love that.
[25:48] So good.
[25:48] Well done.
[25:49] But even walking as we're entering, walking past the Christmas tree with all the presents there, that was mind-blowing.
[25:55] Yeah, that was so cool.
[25:56] Like what?
[25:56] What?
[25:58] That was insane in itself before we even entered the room.
[26:01] The presents were, I'm sure they would have filled a good chunk of that foyer up.
[26:06] They really did.
[26:07] Yeah.
[26:07] Yeah.
[26:08] And we're not talking just small presents.
[26:10] No.
[26:10] People bought bikes and all sorts.
[26:13] It was just, it was amazing.
[26:15] beautiful to see it was so beautiful and then um the ladies from the salvation armies were standing there in like trying to hold back tears and just saying thank you as we're walking past it was just the feeling was incredible before we even entered yeah like it blew them all you know away and i see someone asked about the count and she replied and so oh we had
[26:34] was it four of the taxi boxes booked and they're full and we're going to have to order more you're we did not anticipate and i didn't even know it was only when we're driving home i saw one of the trucks with a taxi box and i'm like holy shit that's how big those things are yeah yeah yeah we completely underestimated how many staff that we may need
[26:49] to help the Wishing Tree team to move all the gifts down.
[26:55] Oh, incredible.
[26:56] What a good problem to have.
[26:57] Oh, absolutely, right?
[26:59] And it was much like the day before we had a team event.
[27:03] We went to Kmart at Pack Fair.
[27:05] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[27:06] And Beck and G, we already knew that we were going to be given some money to go and shop, you know, and buy some gifts, and that was really exciting already.
[27:17] When he said $500...
[27:19] I was like, oh, my, yes.
[27:21] I was like, yes, more.
[27:23] And I can tell you that even when some of us went over, I don't know if he knows, but they just tapped the car.
[27:32] It was, honestly, it was amazing.
[27:34] That's incredible.
[27:34] And even from my perspective, I've never gone into a shop
[27:38] and been able to purchase without thinking about how much I'm spending or anything like that.
[27:43] I shopped with my heart, right?
[27:45] I reflected on what my kids' white want.
[27:47] I even thought of, you know, adults and things like that.
[27:49] It was the most amazing.
[27:52] And just to see all the trolleys.
[27:55] It was wild.
[27:56] Beck and G bought all of the Playstations.
[27:58] They had a trolley full of PlayStations.
[28:01] It was just – it was beautiful.
[28:03] So beautiful.
[28:03] And it is.
[28:04] It's such like obviously, you know, you see how passionate G is about, you know, the Kmart, Wishing Tree and the Salvos and all that.
[28:11] And then it reflects in the community like he does all that and then you think the dollar amount spent on the presents and then what, over a million dollars raised.
[28:19] Yeah, it bleeds out to everywhere, doesn't it?
[28:21] And that's the thing.
[28:22] It's just – The impact that's going to have on – I can't even – I can't fathom –
[28:27] how many families that will touch oh it's yeah yeah unreal it's just it blows my mind yeah and even ripple effects like we took our kids to go shop as well um we gave them what was the budget you gave them so like we all had we all had 50 bucks each so the five sort of thing so and we just said in like picture a child
[28:47] and shop for them and it was actually beautiful it's like we left from that experience going that was amazing we would have never have done that like yeah we'd spoke about doing it but we actually had never done it so the ripple effect that'll have on our kids yeah um it's just yeah it's incredible it was so cool to see them and that's the thing you know you think what a four five and eight year old they're in
[29:08] getting presents you know when's the question going to be oh can we get something can we you know not once not once and although like oh i think someone's like this and the eldest he's going through with keeping track of every dollar like i said well what do you want to do do you want to spend on one big or do you want to try and see what you can get so then it goes further and he's oh yeah yeah you know so we changed what he was getting and yeah yeah and it was actually it was just so cool like that was so happy and so pumped running around like oh
[29:34] oh, yeah, I'm shopping for a little girl, I'm shopping for a boy, you know, and grabbing stuff.
[29:38] So, like, yeah.
[29:39] It's just, yeah, the ripple effect that this has is beyond, yeah, it's in so many different areas.
[29:44] Yeah.
[29:45] But that was before we even walked into the Christmas party.
[29:48] Yeah, right.
[29:49] And then you walked through the doors.
[29:50] Yeah.
[29:51] Ash partied hard.
[29:53] I kind of once at one point of the night he came over and started talking to me with Brett, the runner-up of the 60 Strong.
[30:00] Mm-hmm.
[30:01] And Ash said some gibberish and Brett said, do you understand that?
[30:05] And I said, oh, yeah, I do a bit.
[30:07] And then in that moment I'm like, okay, I need to stop because Ash was too far ahead.
[30:13] Someone had to wake up to the kids the next morning.
[30:14] I'll wake up to the kids.
[30:15] I know, darling.
[30:17] But it was amazing.
[30:18] It really was, hey?
[30:19] Very cool.
[30:19] Yeah, partied.
[30:21] Like the acts they had in.
[30:23] Yeah, like, yeah.
[30:24] Even just there was a woman who –
[30:28] the bow and arrow with the fire from her feet oh yeah all those yeah handstand and just casually fling a bone like yeah what yeah what yeah where did you come from everything got tied together yeah yeah they're women the people with the rope ropes from the ceiling like it was just it was incredible didn't they yeah team just went next level it was um it was insane yeah we woke up the next morning
[30:51] and really felt like it was, yeah, something.
[30:55] We've never been to anything like that before.
[30:57] No, not yet.
[30:57] We thought REM was, REM was an experience in itself.
[31:01] REM was fantastic.
[31:02] That was next level.
[31:03] And then the Christmas party was just beyond again on another planet.
[31:07] It was off its head.
[31:09] And then I don't know how they would, how you guys would like that.
[31:11] Yeah, good luck next year.
[31:12] Look, honestly, I know they will.
[31:14] I have faith because that's what they do.
[31:16] They level up every time without doubt.
[31:19] But I have to agree.
[31:20] I'm just not sure how you can top that.
[31:21] I don't know how you can top that.
[31:23] No.
[31:23] You know, like Joel Fletcher, Savage, and then Scribe, bringing back the- Mate.
[31:28] Yeah.
[31:29] Bringing back the teenage years.
[31:30] Yes.
[31:31] And then- Did revert to my 16-year-old self.
[31:33] Was at the front of the stage, losing my mind.
[31:36] Yeah.
[31:37] And then Cyril.
[31:38] Yes, just descending from the roof.
[31:40] Yes.
[31:41] How cool was that?
[31:42] So cool.
[31:42] And then 42, like 42 band official.
[31:44] They were so cool.
[31:45] They are so much energy.
[31:46] They are awesome.
[31:47] Yeah.
[31:47] That was fantastic.
[31:48] Yeah.
[31:49] Yeah.
[31:49] They brung the vibes for sure.
[31:52] Yeah.
[31:53] Just not an ordinary finance company, guys.
[31:55] No, it's not a boring old.
[31:56] No.
[31:57] Here's a couple of drink vouchers and.
[31:59] Yeah.
[32:00] Here's a band playing, just covers.
[32:01] Yeah, exactly.
[32:02] Well, I don't think I've ever been to a finance company actually.
[32:05] No, no.
[32:06] I actually shared it on my social media and a couple of friends wrote, where are you?
[32:10] Yeah.
[32:10] I'm at my finance Christmas party.
[32:12] I'm like, what?
[32:13] They're doing who?
[32:15] Makes no sense, huh?
[32:16] Just hanging out with serial guys.
[32:17] Yeah.
[32:17] Just, you know, an ordinary day.
[32:19] Just another Saturday night.
[32:20] Yeah.
[32:20] I love that.
[32:21] So cool.
[32:22] Yeah.
[32:22] What we've experienced in the past eight, how many months?
[32:24] Eight months.
[32:25] Eight months, yeah.
[32:25] We've been a part of the company.
[32:26] It's just incredible.
[32:27] Eight months, yeah.
[32:27] Rem and the Christmas party was just it.
[32:29] Yeah.
[32:30] You've had some really amazing success in a short period of time, right?
[32:34] So is that something you guys talk to others about?
[32:37] And how does that look for you guys?
[32:40] Probably not really.
[32:41] I guess it's... We do keep it a bit private.
[32:44] It seems like a lot of, I guess, the infinity community, a bit the same because it's, I guess, the Aussie thing of tall poppies, you know, like, oh, that's too good to be true or, you know, like it's the negatives of it.
[32:54] But people who ask and that definitely, and we've got...
[32:58] mates of ours who, well, Trav, who got us, you know, we're talking about Infinity and the debt recycling and that.
[33:04] So his brother and sister-in-law have now joined you guys as well.
[33:08] Okay, yeah.
[33:09] So they come down to the November REM and –
[33:12] they're like, can we come over and have a chat before we go down?
[33:14] And, you know, I want to know what it's like.
[33:16] And, you know, so it's sort of awesome like that.
[33:17] So if people ask, some people know because if we share stuff and whatever, like, yeah, definitely happy to talk about your experience and what, you know, it's worked for us so far.
[33:29] And, you know, you sort of tell them, look, just start, check out the webinar, like have a look at what it's like.
[33:35] And if it's something you relate to, happy days, go further if, you know.
[33:40] Yeah.
[33:41] if you don't feel like it or whatever but yeah we yeah we kind of wait for people to kind of um ask us about it just because yeah it's such a it's and also we we talk a lot within the infinity community so we don't really feel like we like we talk to each other a lot and if we've got the infinity family so we talk a lot with them so we don't really feel like we need to talk to friends and family about what we're doing because we get a cup filled from the infinity family but
[34:08] And the thing is too, look, it's the, I guess, with the inside the Infinity family, it's when you talk about it, everyone's pumped, everyone's stoked.
[34:15] It's all positive.
[34:18] It's a different thing to be able to talk about finances and investments with strangers and they've been just happy for you and you're going, oh, yeah, well, we've got this, we're doing this.
[34:27] Sometimes it's a great reflection too.
[34:30] You might see that they're 18 months into their journey, but you can see some similar things that have happened earlier.
[34:38] early on, which is around where you guys are, and go, wow.
[34:41] Yeah.
[34:42] You're there.
[34:43] Yeah.
[34:44] That could be us.
[34:44] And that's the thing.
[34:45] There's people like all different stages of their journey, all different walks of life, all different financial situations.
[34:51] Yeah.
[34:52] So it's cool.
[34:53] It's such a broad reflection of it all and it's cool to see and, yeah, I guess, you know, share this success with other people.
[35:02] But, yeah, really there's probably only a handful of people that sort of know what we're doing in that.
[35:09] Yeah, and it's not that we're not keeping it.
[35:11] Like it's not like we're not telling people it's just –
[35:14] Yeah.
[35:14] You're happy to chat, you know, if they come to you.
[35:16] Yeah.
[35:16] You've got some advice, you know.
[35:19] So what would be your advice to somebody who has, you know, maybe taken you up and listened to a couple of podcasts but still a bit on the fence about what to do?
[35:28] What would you say to them?
[35:30] What positives could you give them that you've taken out of, you know, your current situation?
[35:35] well i guess like our biggest thing is even when the strategy was first written and you know i'm sort of ringing and probably being more of a pain in the ass waiting for a you're no longer with infinity because i'm asking all these questions you know um you just really needed oh i need i sort of need yeah i don't know it's a bit of the mindset like i try and want to know how things are going to work 100 and this when it's new and you don't know yeah it's still that's i guess you're fresh in it's all go go go there's
[36:01] you know, there's still skepticism and doubt and, you know, what are we doing?
[36:04] Are we doing the right thing?
[36:05] So you sort of get that bit of fear, you know, and that sort of uncertainty, that's all still playing.
[36:12] And it was, yeah, once that first sweep came through, that was like that holy fuck moment.
[36:17] Like where has that money been sitting?
[36:20] And especially when we considered ourselves tight.
[36:23] But it all came back to...
[36:25] how we had everything structured and I guess how even though we thought we were tight, it would be like, oh, yeah, I'll tap, yeah, oh, we'll just grab that.
[36:34] Oh, no, we need this or, oh, let's just, you know, don't worry about cooking or whatever.
[36:38] We'll just go out there and can't be bothered.
[36:39] Yeah.
[36:40] And stuff like that.
[36:40] And all of a sudden all those little bits are just chewing cash and you think you're being tight because you're not doing these big things
[36:47] you know, fancy one-off purchases, but it's all that little shit along the way that chews it up.
[36:53] And now we have a portal that is sometimes a little bit
[36:58] Oh, yeah, when you look at it and it breaks it all down and shows everything.
[37:01] Yeah, with what now?
[37:02] With what?
[37:03] Yeah, but even then when you're seeing expenses, you're like, fuck, that needs to be lower.
[37:07] Yeah.
[37:07] But they're just run-of-the-mill everyday expenses.
[37:10] You're like, I want that lower.
[37:12] I want that lower so I've got more to go.
[37:14] It's a healthy little challenge.
[37:15] Yeah.
[37:16] But we tell people that it is because we have got a couple who have just started.
[37:20] Yep.
[37:21] Wes and Sam and they um our advice to them at the very start was that it's a whirlwind because it was for us it was a whirlwind and it was very much we were um we were just it was all like a haze wasn't it yeah like there's people coming through and you're trying to
[37:40] I don't even know if, you know, as in you're like, oh, I signed that.
[37:44] Then it's like, hey, didn't we just sign?
[37:45] Oh, no, this is this.
[37:45] You know, and it does.
[37:46] You feel like you hit the ground running.
[37:48] You really do.
[37:49] You start, infinity starts with a sprint, you know.
[37:52] Yeah.
[37:53] But it's to trust the process.
[37:55] And I know that we hear that a hundred times, but it truly is to trust the process.
[38:00] And when that first sweep comes along, it'll all make sense because you see the method in the madness.
[38:06] You see it.
[38:07] Like it's black and white.
[38:08] The money was kind of going through our fingers and now it's all directed in one way.
[38:12] Yeah, the structure works.
[38:14] It just does.
[38:15] It works.
[38:15] And we tell people to listen to podcasts, watch the webinar, and that the first couple of months is going to be crazy and you're going to be...
[38:26] thinking what the fuck is going on and then all of a sudden the penny will drop when your first sweep happens and that's how it was for us and that's kind of what we we say to the new like you know friends that have just joined who are in the thick of the haze at the moment so and that's you know the thing is too everyone's got the different personalities and what resonates with someone might not so it's sort of always like
[38:46] Go in, have a look at it.
[38:47] You've got your different levels, whether or not you don't want to invest straight away, but you want to get the mortgage down and all.
[38:53] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[38:53] But if you go in, at least do the free webinar.
[38:56] The stuff you can learn out of that, because we even sort of started implementing stuff after we watched that.
[39:00] Yeah.
[39:01] Like with getting rid of all the after pay, the latitude, all that sort of shit that was there.
[39:07] So that started getting implemented.
[39:08] So by the time we actually sort of came along, we'd wiped a lot of that.
[39:11] excess debt out and, you know, trying to restructure things.
[39:14] And then we did the masterclass and, you know, it's sort of like, you know, just watch some of the free stuff.
[39:20] And if it resonates with you, go for it.
[39:22] And how many resources?
[39:23] And even there's so many people that comment, you know, like G&G is open and shares about...
[39:29] Yet we did it.
[39:30] We didn't become clients.
[39:31] We did it on our own.
[39:32] But we put in place what you lay out and it's worth.
[39:36] We've paid this much off our mortgage.
[39:37] And he loves that.
[39:38] You know what I mean?
[39:39] As much as he loves seeing your success, he's like fantastic.
[39:42] Yeah.
[39:43] I love that you took what I said and what was free and you put it into action and look at you go.
[39:49] Yeah, exactly.
[39:50] You don't always need us.
[39:52] No.
[39:52] But we can level up.
[39:53] But that's even what he says too.
[39:55] Like, you know, if it's not me, someone else.
[39:57] Somebody.
[39:57] Someone you feel comfortable with.
[39:59] Yeah, correct.
[39:59] Because, you know, it might not be for everyone, but find someone you're comfortable with and do it.
[40:04] Like if you need the help, I guess.
[40:05] Yeah.
[40:05] And that's the biggest thing is if you can't do it on your own, like you need the help to do it.
[40:10] Yeah, and that's what we tell people too.
[40:12] Like what are you doing now?
[40:13] Is it working for you?
[40:15] Yeah.
[40:16] And if it is, then great.
[40:17] But if it's not, well, then you need to – and that's kind of how we were.
[40:20] We're like we need to –
[40:22] try something else because what we're doing isn't working.
[40:24] And that's what we would probably tell people is if what's working for you is working for you, then great.
[40:29] And if not, then what have you got to lose?
[40:31] Yeah.
[40:31] Truly.
[40:32] Absolutely.
[40:32] I couldn't agree more.
[40:33] Yeah.
[40:34] So we talk about community.
[40:36] We talk about everything that we stand for and what we do.
[40:41] Yeah.
[40:42] Part of that is it's not just finance, you know, it's health.
[40:46] Yeah.
[40:47] So the way I see it is when you're healthy, you can earn.
[40:50] When you can earn, you can save.
[40:53] It's just a flight.
[40:54] Yeah.
[40:54] Right?
[40:54] Yeah.
[40:55] So 60 strong.
[40:56] Yep.
[40:57] A very successful little thing that they've got going on.
[41:00] Definitely.
[41:01] Off the back of 75 hard, you know.
[41:03] Yeah, yeah.
[41:04] But a little bit of an infinity version of it.
[41:06] Yeah.
[41:06] So we've got teams and you get some amazing support and you nailed it.
[41:13] Yeah.
[41:13] Got the W. Just a bit.
[41:14] Yeah.
[41:15] Just a little bit.
[41:16] Yeah.
[41:16] How did you find that?
[41:18] Really good.
[41:19] It was a great journey, I guess, you know, fitness-wise as well.
[41:23] But a big thing was like changing, I guess, the mental side of it.
[41:27] Yeah.
[41:29] Yeah, getting held accountable sort of thing.
[41:30] And it was like you've got to get done.
[41:33] It doesn't matter if it's rain, hail, shine, you feel like shit.
[41:36] Like it gives you that.
[41:37] You know what you've got to do.
[41:38] Yeah, I guess it gives you that mind.
[41:39] Like it definitely was a big mindset change in me pushing myself and stuff like that, which is probably the weight loss was absolutely amazing.
[41:47] What was the weight loss?
[41:49] 15.9.
[41:50] So just shy of 16 kids.
[41:52] Beautiful.
[41:53] In 60 days.
[41:54] Yeah.
[41:54] So yeah, I was pretty stoked.
[41:55] Male winner, huh?
[41:56] Oh yeah.
[41:57] Yes, yes.
[41:57] Love it.
[41:58] Yes.
[41:59] What did we do with the money?
[42:00] Well, the money was supposed to go straight off the mortgage.
[42:04] It did get chewed up, but it will come back to the mortgage because we were getting the dog ready to sell.
[42:09] Correct.
[42:10] We had a fair few extra expenses that we hadn't allowed for to get it prepped.
[42:14] So it did get chewed up there, but we knew that it was coming back to us.
[42:18] Yeah, correct.
[42:19] Yeah, we could see the success in the future.
[42:21] Yes.
[42:22] So how does 60 Strong and that whole mindset change happen?
[42:29] How has that impacted your views on your finances and that sort of thing?
[42:35] I guess it's just like if you're committed to it and knuckle down and stick to the plan and the strategy and, you know, you get the results at the end of it.
[42:43] Like it's, yeah.
[42:44] They're the same really, aren't they?
[42:45] Yeah, that's right.
[42:47] Did you get anything out of it?
[42:48] Because I know you didn't participate, but did you have a bit of a?
[42:51] Like a side flow and effect?
[42:53] Yeah.
[42:54] Like I think it was fantastic watching Ash.
[42:56] Sometimes he can say he's going to do something and doesn't kind of follow through.
[43:01] He doesn't hold himself accountable sometimes.
[43:02] And that was a big thing.
[43:04] So I could, it was actually really beautiful to see that.
[43:08] even though he was exhausted late at night or whatever, he said, no, I've got to get it done.
[43:12] I said, I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it.
[43:13] He stuck to his word.
[43:15] And then I did see it flow on with getting our dog ready that's been sitting there for nearly six years to finish the renovations to sell.
[43:24] And it really came hand in hand when the 60 Strong Mindset
[43:28] started that i'm gonna do it it's the renovations of the of our um dog really finished actually wrapped up and got finished because okay i said i'm gonna do it by december it's gonna get done yeah so that went hand in hand too i think yeah i even saw that but we had catch-ups when you were there doing stuff
[43:47] Yeah, it was like, okay, I said I'm going to do it.
[43:49] I'm actually going to do it.
[43:50] I think it was around the same time that it kind of just, whereas beforehand it was like, oh, yeah, I'll get to it.
[43:57] No, yeah, I will.
[43:58] I'll get there.
[43:59] I'll get there.
[44:00] Same with your health.
[44:01] Yeah, so I guess it was always, yeah, the thing was you'd make an excuse for something.
[44:05] Oh, no, I didn't get that done because of this or because of this.
[44:07] And then doing that, there was no excuse for the 60, you know, like what excuse are you going to give yourself?
[44:13] That's what I was saying.
[44:14] Like the last week.
[44:16] like or one to two last weeks was killing me like me hernia was killing me my i end up getting like fluy and i'm just like no fuck this i'm finishing this thing like i'm so close to the end yeah can't give up if i end up in hospital and i can't fair enough i'll give up then but i'm yeah pushing it through to the end so yeah so yeah he did say at the start i'm gonna win it yeah he did he that was his mindset i'm gonna win this and i'm gonna get in a podcast yeah
[44:39] But how about you, though?
[44:40] You had three of the four.
[44:43] Look, I'm not turning my own horn, but it just happens, guys.
[44:48] It's just natural.
[44:50] And it was awesome we got to meet Tracy and Brett at the Chrissy party and they are just the most amazing people.
[44:55] They are so cool.
[44:55] They also put a very similar sort of goal out during one of our catch-ups.
[45:01] She was like, we are going to be the first...
[45:04] to take it out.
[45:05] Yeah.
[45:05] And look, they absolutely nailed it.
[45:08] They killed it.
[45:09] Yeah.
[45:09] They really did.
[45:10] That's so good.
[45:10] Yeah.
[45:11] So I'm going to take all the credit.
[45:13] It's the support of a good RM.
[45:15] 100%.
[45:15] Absolutely.
[45:16] And that's what it's all about, right?
[45:18] You know, and look, let's be honest, I did absolutely nothing.
[45:22] But it's me being there for whatever you need.
[45:25] Yeah.
[45:25] Yeah.
[45:26] And that's really what I am always putting in the forefront of, you know,
[45:30] Everything that I do for my clients is to make sure that whatever stage they're at, whatever's going on in their life, if I can add value, that's what I'm doing.
[45:41] Yeah.
[45:42] Yeah.
[45:43] I will always be there for that.
[45:45] Yep.
[45:46] you know and i always you know reaffirm to you if you need me i'm here oh 100 whatever and you are like it's a call or a text and i'm a terrible person with i'll get an email or something if i want clarification i hate emails yeah and i'll call i know she's like i'll just call amanda i'm like do we need to annoy her again
[46:05] Do we need to?
[46:06] But you answer every time or you get back to us straight away.
[46:09] If not, it doesn't take long.
[46:10] Or even like the thing is, even just a text, like I guess it's a formality of an email or whatever, you know, but it would just flick your text and I know it might be long and something will come back and give us clarity on, you know, a question or this or that.
[46:22] So it's having that too just to bounce off.
[46:25] Exactly.
[46:25] Like it's, yeah.
[46:26] Yeah.
[46:26] Yeah.
[46:27] Yeah.
[46:27] And that's really part of this whole journey and experience for our clients is to make sure that they feel...
[46:34] that at any point, no matter what's going on, they can come to anybody in their team, seek a little bit of advice, right?
[46:44] I won't say that I know everything.
[46:46] No, you do.
[46:48] You do.
[46:49] Like when we were first introduced to you for your coming in,
[46:52] We left that phone call, didn't we?
[46:54] And we were like, oh, my God.
[46:55] Yeah.
[46:55] She's a wealth of knowledge.
[46:56] Plus, she's relatable.
[46:58] She's so easy to talk to.
[46:59] Like, plus, she, like, I feel like it's so easy.
[47:02] Like, you know everything.
[47:04] It felt like you answered Ash's questions.
[47:06] You understood everything.
[47:07] You had looked around for, like, you knew the ins and outs of us.
[47:10] Yeah.
[47:10] Which was so reassuring as well.
[47:13] But we left that conversation going, oh, my God, I'm so glad for this restructure.
[47:16] How amazing.
[47:17] We've landed in gold.
[47:18] Because obviously it's a bit of a...
[47:20] You know, all of a sudden get the email on your new RM.
[47:22] It's like, what happened?
[47:24] And then it was sort of a bit of a, you know, there was no issues, I guess, on our side with our old one of that.
[47:29] And then you're like, oh, I wonder what the new one will be like.
[47:31] Is it going to be the same?
[47:32] And then, yeah, we got off.
[47:34] Oh, my God, that turned out amazing.
[47:36] Yeah, we have landed on a pot of gold here.
[47:40] Um, so yeah, yeah, a hundred percent.
[47:42] And when we first, um, signed up to infinity, we were like, okay, we're just going to sign up for a year.
[47:46] We'll just do a year membership.
[47:48] Um, we'll get things in place and we probably won't, we don't, we probably won't get this long term.
[47:54] Yeah.
[47:55] It's just, we'll just need some help to help set it up.
[47:58] It's the test the waters thing, isn't it?
[47:59] Like, it's like, you know, give it a year and see if it's what we're after.
[48:02] Like, okay, worst case scenario.
[48:03] If it's not, we're a year down, you know?
[48:06] Um, yeah.
[48:08] But, yeah, it's not something we're going to.
[48:10] No, you're going to be with us for a while.
[48:12] Yeah, yeah.
[48:12] So you definitely make us feel safe and heard, seeing you celebrate with us.
[48:19] You're open about what's possible, what we should be, shouldn't be doing.
[48:23] Yeah.
[48:23] So, yeah, so it's definitely something.
[48:25] It's changed our whole view.
[48:26] When we first came in, we were like, yep, just one year.
[48:28] We'll just do an annual membership and they'll set us up.
[48:32] And then it's completely – it's not just an annual membership.
[48:34] This is a lifetime kind of relationship.
[48:37] It really is.
[48:38] Yeah.
[48:39] And it's not transactional.
[48:40] No.
[48:41] No.
[48:41] And it doesn't feel that way at all.
[48:43] No.
[48:43] Not just a number in it.
[48:45] A transactional relationship would have ended in 12 months.
[48:48] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[48:48] Let's be honest, right?
[48:49] A hundred percent, yeah.
[48:50] But – and I –
[48:52] I speak on behalf of everybody.
[48:54] None of us here are transactional.
[48:55] You know, we, we all want to see you guys succeed.
[48:58] We all know what our parts play in your journey.
[49:02] And we, you know, we, we take that with a lot of sort of, you know, respect.
[49:08] Yeah.
[49:09] And we feel that we have to do how we can support you guys.
[49:12] Yeah.
[49:12] We feel that a hundred percent.
[49:14] Yeah, definitely.
[49:14] Yeah.
[49:15] Amazing.
[49:15] I love that.
[49:16] I'm so pleased that I am able to help you in,
[49:19] in everything that you need.
[49:20] Yes.
[49:21] Well, we're pleased to have you on our team and by our side, holding our hand.
[49:24] It's been great.
[49:25] Yeah.
[49:26] It has been really fun.
[49:27] And you guys have had such an amazing, not even 12 months.
[49:31] No, eight months, did we say?
[49:32] Yeah.
[49:34] Really.
[49:34] I can't wait for our year in review.
[49:35] Eight months.
[49:36] We're going to reflect on where we started, where we're at.
[49:39] We're going to realign, reset some new goals.
[49:44] Aim.
[49:45] to infinity and beyond as they say right yeah we're just going to absolutely keep leveling up yeah i can't wait to see where you guys yeah we're excited too we're so excited too yeah we didn't ever think that it was possible to get where we are now and it's just yeah it's exciting yeah it's so exciting um yeah the the thought of our finances and everything eight months ago is completely different to what it is today so yeah it's exciting to think about it now it wasn't
[50:15] No, not really.
[50:16] Well, it's just you felt lost like it wasn't, you didn't know where it was going to go.
[50:20] So it's just, yeah, having the structure and direction and I think, yeah.
[50:25] Yeah.
[50:25] Yeah.
[50:26] Watch this space.
[50:28] Yes, watch this space.
[50:30] 100%.
[50:31] Do you guys have anything else you wanted to add?
[50:35] No, just thank you.
[50:36] Thank you for your help and support.
[50:38] Thank you for the bottom of our hearts.
[50:39] It is easy.
[50:40] Yeah.
[50:40] It is easy.
[50:42] Like,
[50:44] I don't have a terrible client in mine.
[50:46] I'm very, very fortunate.
[50:47] Honestly, they're all amazing.
[50:49] But it is super easy.
[50:51] You guys listen and you reflect.
[50:54] You take feedback amazingly, yeah, and everything that I give you, you just run with and just smash it out of the park.
[51:02] Yeah.
[51:02] And that is the recipe for success.
[51:05] Yeah.
[51:05] Yeah, being willing, listening and encouraging.
[51:10] happy to pivot and be fluid yeah so if we come to you tomorrow and go we're actually going over here and you're like okay cool we'll see you over there i'll have a thousand questions but we'll end up over there but you're happy to answer a thousand questions ash has and the way you explain things is just so easy to understand for like it took me a bit more to kind of understand this process ash kind of clicked and absorbed it all it took me a little bit longer
[51:33] But even just the way that you speak and explain things, it's like, oh, I get it, I get it.
[51:37] It's like talking to a friend, you know what I mean?
[51:39] Like it's just help this whole, because sometimes you can feel scary.
[51:42] It's a lot of, you look at our dollar value of our investment properties, it's big money.
[51:48] So we can feel a bit scary and overwhelming, but you help us ease that uncertainty.
[51:54] And yeah, like I said, we feel very safe and in good hands.
[51:57] Amazing.
[51:58] Can we just snippet all that and send that directly to Beck and G?
[52:03] email header pay rise for a man I mean you said it you said it I don't think I've got anything else guys that was amazing thank you so much for chatting with me and pretending like we didn't have cameras and lights everywhere thank you for having us it's been an amazing experience podcast one done let's see how many we can do and how many properties we can potentially yeah sounds exciting
[52:32] You're fucking gone.
[52:33] See ya.
