[0:00] My health had taken a turn for a lot of years and at the time it was actually at a crucial state where it was not good.
[0:08] So in my head, all I kept thinking about was I need to research and learn more for generational wealth for my child and my husband.
[0:18] So if things got bad, I could actually leave them a legacy of something that we've worked really hard together to do.

[0:57] Hello.
[0:58] Hello.
[0:59] How are we?
[0:59] Good, thank you.
[1:00] Are we nervous?
[1:01] Yes.
[1:01] A little bit.
[1:03] You'll be fine.
[1:03] Do you want a shot of tequila?
[1:06] No, we've done that at the REM.
[1:07] Yeah, yeah.
[1:08] That was good.
[1:10] That got out of hand.
[1:11] That was a lot of tequila.
[1:13] It was fun.
[1:14] It was fun.
[1:14] Not so fun for me on stage.
[1:16] That was a brilliant REM.
[1:17] I think I copped one.
[1:18] Were you at the run live or?
[1:20] August.
[1:21] Yeah.
[1:21] Yeah.
[1:22] Yeah, I copped one for me.
[1:23] It was like one o'clock or something.
[1:25] I'm like, hang on a minute, I've got a job to do here.
[1:29] It was fun, Mark.
[1:29] It was brilliant.

[1:31] Really good.
[1:31] Really fun.
[1:32] It was pretty empowering, actually.
[1:34] That was very emotional.
[1:35] Very emotional.
[1:37] Very emotional.
[1:38] Best room we've ever been to.
[1:40] We've been to two.
[1:41] That was the best of the two.

[2:10] So John and Nicole Yeats, we've been married for 28 years.
[2:14] 28 years?
[2:14] Yeah.
[2:14] That's amazing.
[2:16] We've been together 30 years.
[2:19] And we basically... We've known each other since we were 13.
[2:22] Yeah, in high school.
[2:23] And basically we were friends all the way through and started our wonderful journey together.
[2:30] At the age of like 23.
[2:32] I love a high school sweetheart story.
[2:34] It's so rare these days.
[2:35] It was beautiful.
[2:36] So blessed because we were friends and then ended up married.
[2:39] Yeah.
[2:41] And had two beautiful girls.
[2:43] So it was wonderful.
[2:45] We lost our first daughter not long after we were married and had her.
[2:53] But we still have this beautiful, beautiful, strong, amazing, gorgeous daughter that we have today.
[2:58] So very blessed.
[3:00] I like that strong, gorgeous, so don't mess with her.
[3:03] Exactly.
[3:03] Strong and independent.
[3:04] She's a mother's daughter.
[3:05] Very independent.
[3:07] Yeah, beautiful girl.
[3:08] So you're outnumbered.
[3:10] A little bit, a little bit.
[3:12] Yes, dear, yes, sweetheart.
[3:13] In a good way.
[3:15] In a good, positive way.
[3:16] Yeah, absolutely.
[3:18] So, yeah, we have just our own little family.
[3:21] She has her partner and very, very happy.
[3:24] We are very happy, content people.
[3:27] I love it.
[3:28] I was IT for about 20 years.
[3:30] Okay.
[3:31] Got made redundant in 2017.
[3:33] Couldn't get work back in the industry.
[3:35] Okay.
[3:36] Tried working, doing anything.
[3:38] Didn't really get anywhere.
[3:39] And then Nikki also runs a, well, she was a hairdresser.
[3:43] I was a hairdresser for 36 years.
[3:44] Yeah.
[3:45] And then I was also, I went on and studied to do interior design as well.
[3:51] So I've been interior design for 13 years in that process.
[3:55] I have the two businesses because I'm crazy and I just believe in challenges of life.
[4:00] So bring it all on.
[4:02] And basically when that happened to John...
[4:05] I said to him, this is your chance and your opportunity to stop doing what you don't want to do and make what you want in your life.
[4:13] So we did an apprenticeship.
[4:14] We did an apprenticeship.
[4:15] Okay.
[4:16] Yep.
[4:16] Chippy.
[4:17] Yep.
[4:17] Banging it in.
[4:18] Banging it in.
[4:19] Yeah.
[4:19] So he studied at night, worked the day with the builder.
[4:23] Yeah.
[4:23] Basically then...
[4:25] Went on, finished the apprenticeship and now we have our own business together.
[4:30] Basically, I retired from hairdressing two years ago, closed my business, finished, closed those doors and kept the business running together as interior and building together.
[4:40] Love it.
[4:41] Yeah.
[4:41] Enjoy it.
[4:42] Love it.
[4:42] Yeah.
[4:42] Best thing I ever did.
[4:43] It's one of those things where at the time I was devastated and quite broken about it.
[4:49] Being the man, being the sort of the sole provider, all that sort of stuff.
[4:52] Yeah.
[4:53] But as Nikki said, it was an opportunity to sort of go, well, what do you want to do?
[4:56] Yeah.
[4:58] Physically, health-wise, mentally, it's the best thing I've ever done.
[5:02] Yeah.
[5:03] So one door closes, another one opens.
[5:05] Yeah.
[5:05] Yeah.
[5:06] Now you get to work with each other all the time.
[5:07] Oh, that could be good or it could be bad.
[5:09] No, we love each other's company.
[5:10] We love each other's company.
[5:12] We just think it's great.
[5:12] We do enjoy working with each other.
[5:13] You need to tell me the secret because Bec loves my company in small, infrequent doses.
[5:19] But I'm quite out there, right?
[5:20] So it's like, she's like, okay, we're having a meeting.
[5:22] And I'm like, la, la, la.
[5:25] Graham I'm like huh back to reality yeah it's very hard to keep me focused yeah well good on you yeah one door closes another one opens that's really cool yeah so we don't we always believe you know there's no negativity there's positivity in every situation so you've just got to find it sometimes you can't see it but yeah Bruce says it all the time after most big storms there's a rainbow there is and that's true in life so you appreciate things more hmm
[5:55] When there's tough times.
[5:57] Yeah.
[5:58] Okay.
[5:58] Yeah.
[5:59] Well, tell me, there's a lot of good background there.
[6:02] Tell everyone who, because sometimes it's both, usually it's one, who found Infinity?
[6:08] Why?
[6:09] When?
[6:09] Was there a skeptic?
[6:10] Were we both on board?
[6:12] Give that background there of when and how did you find us?
[6:14] Okay, so I found Infinity.
[6:17] I saw yourself, Graham, on Instagram.
[6:21] Yep.
[6:21] And I was like, wow, this guy is bloody amazing.
[6:25] Lunity.
[6:26] No, how is it that he can say things that we have never heard before?
[6:30] Why is it now coming to light?
[6:33] Right.
[6:34] And is he one in a million?
[6:36] So I have to admit, I did do some research on you and I looked into you and I was like,
[6:42] Where have you been?
[6:43] Like seriously, where have you been?
[6:46] So I said to John, all right, that's it.
[6:48] I've booked this in.
[6:49] We're going to do the free webinar together.
[6:52] We're gonna sit down.
[6:53] So you did the webinar together.
[6:54] Yeah.
[6:55] That helps.
[6:56] As you said, Nikki found you on Instagram.
[6:58] Showed me a couple of the reels and stuff and I said, we've got to do this.
[7:01] She booked it in.
[7:02] Yeah, we sat down and did that.
[7:03] Just booked out the diary and said, we're sitting down.
[7:06] You need to listen to this gentleman.
[7:08] Like, seriously.
[7:09] Well, gentlemen's are probably a bit formal for me, but I'll take it.
[7:13] You've got to listen to this gentleman.
[7:16] Seriously, he's speaking in ways I've never heard before.
[7:20] Very simple.
[7:21] Very simple.
[7:22] It's the opposite of everyone else out there.
[7:23] Very simple and honest.
[7:25] Now, that was the big one for me.
[7:28] It was honesty.
[7:28] You can take it or leave it.
[7:30] Totally.
[7:30] And this world we live in, we live amongst bullshit.
[7:34] So to see someone as raw and honest was what captivated us.
[7:40] So we sat down, we listened, and we were like, that's it.
[7:43] Like, we're doing it.
[7:44] Masterclass, yeah.
[7:44] Let's do it.
[7:45] Yeah.
[7:45] There's no reason why we've got nothing to lose, which, you know, at the time, which my health had taken a turn for a lot of years.
[7:57] And at the time, it was actually at a crucial state where it was not good.
[8:02] So in my head, all I kept thinking about was I need to research and learn more for generational wealth for my child and my husband.
[8:15] I could actually leave them a legacy of something that we've worked really hard together to do.
[8:22] I'm going to digress for a second.
[8:26] Because you guys, and I don't want to get too deep into this, but you guys, you've had a health scare.
[8:32] Yeah.
[8:32] Pretty serious.
[8:33] Very.
[8:34] Yeah.
[8:35] Cancer.
[8:35] Cancer.
[8:36] Lost a beautiful child.
[8:38] Yeah.
[8:39] And you're two of the most positive, beautiful, loving people that somebody could sit in front of.
[8:42] And I don't want to get a moment, but...
[8:44] For people that are going through it in life, how do you go from emotional, woe is me, to where you are?
[8:54] Because you guys are two of the most positive, energetic people that somebody can ever meet, right?
[8:59] So any interaction that the team say they have with you guys, because I get my little notes and stuff, or any interaction I get to have, you can feel the energy.
[9:08] What would you say to somebody that's been through something, hanging on to something or going through something right now?
[9:15] Take every little bit of happiness in every day and make it your own and basically appreciate it.
[9:27] Stop looking.
[9:28] Stop wanting.
[9:30] And just look at what you've got in front of you.
[9:32] So when you say stop looking and wanting, you mean stop looking for the next big thing, wanting something better?
[9:38] Wanting more from them.
[9:39] Just focus on them.
[9:39] Just accept everything that's happening together as a journey of love and happiness.
[9:45] Just make the most of it.
[9:46] Make the most of it.
[9:46] I mean, it's a bit of a cliche thing, but you know.
[9:49] Life is short.
[9:50] You don't know what's happening.
[9:52] So it is one of those things of, yeah, you just, and when you're going through something like this, it's a bit more upfront.
[9:59] It is.
[9:59] And you kind of do look at it like, well, you don't know how long, so let's just enjoy and make them.
[10:04] If I could take your energy and positivity and inject it in myself, I don't know if that's legal, but I'd take it.
[10:12] It radiates.
[10:13] Nikki is a very, very strong lady.
[10:16] I look at my husband and I actually see, he's my knight in shining armour.
[10:23] He is the person that makes me laugh.
[10:25] He makes me stronger.
[10:29] We're strong for each other.
[10:31] He makes every day great.
[10:31] As I said, when I was made redundant, she was there for me.
[10:34] Yeah.
[10:34] Obviously, with the health.
[10:36] Yeah, he's been there for me.
[10:37] You kind of have to step up and be there for her as well.
[10:39] So, it's been a very giving to each other relationship and be there for each other.
[10:44] And I'm so grateful.
[10:45] That's what it's meant to be.
[10:46] Yeah, exactly.
[10:47] You're meant to lean on each other.
[10:48] Yes.
[10:49] And if one of you can't, the other comes for a step up.
[10:51] Absolutely.
[10:51] I was just talking about Sydney Harbour Bridge.
[10:52] Yes.
[10:53] Ideally, it leans on each other.
[10:55] I don't know if you noticed, but they built it.
[10:56] Yes.
[10:57] Then they built the other.
[10:57] On the side.
[10:58] And it was like a millimetre, like a while back in the day.
[11:00] And it leans on each other.
[11:02] Yeah.
[11:02] Right?
[11:02] Yeah.
[11:02] That's what it's meant to be.
[11:03] Absolutely.
[11:04] And it's not always one way.
[11:05] No.
[11:06] No, no.
[11:06] And sometimes somebody's here and the other person, someone can come too far.
[11:10] They're all freaks out.
[11:11] Yeah.
[11:12] But you're meant to lean on each other.
[11:13] Yeah.
[11:14] And I think, to be honest, I've learnt in this journey, be vulnerable to your partner.
[11:21] Tell him you need him.
[11:22] Tell him that I need you today.
[11:26] Don't be, you know...
[11:29] Instead of bickering at each other because you're in a bad mood, tell them you fucking had a shit sleep and you're in a bad mood.
[11:34] Yeah, absolutely.
[11:34] I'm not having a good day.
[11:35] I've woken up fucking terrible.
[11:36] I need you today.
[11:37] Yeah, and that's exactly right.
[11:39] That's exactly right.
[11:39] But we don't communicate.
[11:40] No.
[11:41] No, we do.
[11:42] We do, though.
[11:43] That's a big thing for us.
[11:44] I just want to digress and give you guys kudos for that because the energy is palpable.
[11:49] Thank you.
[11:49] So back to the finance stuff.
[11:51] Thank you.
[11:51] Kudos to you.
[11:52] I couldn't ignore it.
[11:53] No.
[11:53] So it was late 23 you found us, was it?
[11:58] In November, I think we did your last live masterclass at Alexandria.
[12:03] Oh, that was just after Branson.
[12:06] Yes.
[12:06] Yeah, we missed that one.
[12:07] We missed that one.
[12:08] Yeah, yeah.
[12:09] And it's just, I actually filmed the Both Sides podcast December 23 in the city and in that room.
[12:16] Yeah.
[12:17] Alexandria?
[12:17] You were talking about it.
[12:18] Yeah, yeah.
[12:19] It was wonderful.
[12:20] There you go.
[12:21] It was fantastic.
[12:21] They were the last live masterclass.
[12:24] Yeah.
[12:24] It was amazing.
[12:25] It was amazing.
[12:26] Yeah.
[12:26] Walked out of there.
[12:27] Full on weekend.
[12:27] Yeah, full on weekend.
[12:29] But again, like, we believe in us.
[12:33] So to be able to feel that energy from something foreign to us, we actually went, wow, this is so good.
[12:44] This is exactly what we watched.
[12:46] I really miss the live masterclass.
[12:48] Yeah, they were.
[12:49] They're hard because I have to, like, there's only so many people in each area as opposed to, you know, five, six hundred.
[12:56] It is hard to get a couple of hundred people in Sydney, then Dubbo, then Dabbo.
[13:01] And then I end up travelling circus and AV costs.
[13:04] And I have to charge so much more to even break even to teach.
[13:09] It's hard.
[13:09] But I think doing it online too.
[13:11] People are comfortable in their home.
[13:13] They start to listen more.
[13:15] They chat to each other.
[13:16] They have their breaks and it's like, okay, did you understand what Graham was saying?
[13:21] Yeah.
[13:21] Make notes.
[13:23] And it's great.
[13:24] It is really wonderful.
[13:26] There were some late nights.
[13:27] We had about 600 boxes of pizza and everyone moved to a Q&A.
[13:31] It was two late nights and we just sat there in awe again, just listening and thinking, wow,
[13:38] I love how this guy is so raw.
[13:41] Bring it on.
[13:42] He's so real.
[13:42] I think I even still put a fucking suit on for that maybe.
[13:45] No, you had your jeans and your t-shirt.
[13:47] Oh, yeah.
[13:48] Okay, good.
[13:49] And that's, again, another thing we love.
[13:52] You are an everyday great guy to help so many people, but dress, wear, look, be.
[14:00] It's fantastic.
[14:00] You've got to be comfortable.
[14:01] Totally.
[14:02] There's too many people in suits that don't know shit from clay.
[14:05] So, okay.
[14:06] Well, thank you.
[14:07] It was lovely.
[14:07] So that was fun, those lines.
[14:08] They were great.
[14:09] That was very good, yeah.
[14:10] So, yeah, 2023, we did that and then we joined from there.
[14:15] Okay.
[14:16] So you just missed the Chrissy party because that was a week or two before.
[14:20] Yeah.
[14:21] So 23.
[14:22] Okay.
[14:23] And then tell us what was, like, just before you joined, when you joined, what was, like, mortgages, balances, cars?
[14:32] Give us a financial summary.
[14:33] Well, we had credit cards.
[14:36] We did have the two car loans because we had the business.
[14:39] So, you know, we both needed a car.
[14:42] We had hospital bills.
[14:44] We were going through a lot of financial difficulty because we had that on our shoulders.
[14:48] We had a big mortgage.
[14:50] We had restructured our mortgage basically to be able to help us pay all this debt.
[14:58] But we were getting through and we were doing our best.
[15:03] And then it came back down to, again, like I've stated, I want to leave something for John and our daughter.
[15:12] But to feel that there was a way, and when we found infinity, it was like a breath of fresh air.
[15:20] So the finances were high, yeah.
[15:22] We had loans, we had credit cards.
[15:23] We did have a credit card as well, I think, yeah.
[15:24] Yeah, we had like all of those things and a high mortgage, yeah.
[15:29] So that was sort of November, December 23.
[15:31] Yeah.
[15:31] Do you remember what the mortgage was?
[15:33] Was it like $450,000?
[15:35] Yeah, it was around that.
[15:37] Absolutely.
[15:37] And we'd had investment properties and sold them and put a little bit of money on the property.
[15:43] And then again, the hospital bills and everything blows out.
[15:47] So you use that redraw, we're back up there again.
[15:50] And it was just a vicious cycle.
[15:52] A bit of a treadmill.
[15:53] A little bit of a treadmill.
[15:54] We were pretty lucky.
[15:55] We did, being in the construction and interior design, we did do a couple of flips.
[15:59] Yeah.
[15:59] Okay.
[16:00] And they were successful flips.
[16:01] Very, yeah.
[16:02] Which helped.
[16:02] Yeah, absolutely.
[16:04] Couldn't bring the mortgage down as quick as we wanted to.
[16:07] But that kind of put us in a spot where we did have a little bit of savings just before we joined.
[16:12] Yes.
[16:13] Yes.
[16:14] But again, we didn't sort of know what to do with it.
[16:15] So we just left it on redraw.
[16:17] Yeah, it was good timing.
[16:17] Yeah, it was perfect timing.
[16:19] Okay.
[16:19] Yeah.
[16:20] So that was good because you guys were there together, in it together, webinar together.
[16:24] So we wouldn't have started really until 24.
[16:26] So it would have been like Jan, Feb 24, obviously Christmas break, et cetera.
[16:29] I think it was even March, wasn't it?
[16:30] April, we came to our first REM.
[16:34] Yeah, we did.
[16:35] Well, Louis's not in trouble because you waited your three, four months.
[16:38] We did, yeah.
[16:39] He was just like... You get off on this one, Louis.
[16:41] Yeah.
[16:43] Okay, so April, good.
[16:44] So where do we sit today from that sort of 450 mortgage and credit cards and cars and little incidentals and all that stuff.
[16:51] Where do we sit today?
[16:52] What's the balance on the home loan today?
[16:56] $256,000.
[16:58] From about 450?
[16:59] $450,000, no credit cards.
[17:02] In what are we?
[17:03] 18 months.
[17:04] A little over 18 months.
[17:06] A little over 18 months.
[17:07] Wow.
[17:07] Yeah, 20 months roughly.
[17:08] Are you proud of yourself?
[17:10] We're so proud.
[17:11] So proud.
[17:12] It has been life-changing.
[17:13] It has been completely life-changing.
[17:15] The last 20 months, I would say, has been such a breath of fresh air and it is the most incredible feeling to be able to believe in something that truly works.
[17:28] How long did it take for you to see it in action working?
[17:34] Like, were the first month a bit bumpy or did it just flow second month?
[17:38] When did you really, you went, shit, I mean, you believe it's real, but shit, this is real.
[17:42] Yeah.
[17:43] Okay, and it builds up and it builds up and.
[17:45] It was a bit hectic like it is for most of the people that joined because we're doing SMF, SMS.
[17:51] Self-managed.
[17:52] Yeah, so that took a little bit of playing around.
[17:56] So you've got multiple meetings with the financial planners and going through your insurance.
[18:00] All that stuff was getting sorted.
[18:02] All that geekazoid stuff they do.
[18:04] That's why I don't practice.
[18:04] I'm like, oh, you go talk to them guys.
[18:06] Go play with the people.
[18:07] They write this big advice thing of 70 pages of boredom.
[18:11] Yes, read it all.
[18:13] Make sure you're right.
[18:14] Yes, once that was sort of done then.
[18:16] I would say four months.
[18:17] Yeah.
[18:17] We started to see things changing.
[18:20] And I'm the type of person that when I give something a go, I'm like 150% in.
[18:29] Like I'm not 80%.
[18:31] Don't bother.
[18:32] Yep.
[18:32] You give it your all or you don't give it at all.
[18:35] Everything she's done, she's put in that 150 and has been successful.
[18:39] Do the best at it or don't try it.
[18:40] Exactly.
[18:41] So I said to John, right, this was our mortgage repayments.
[18:45] Graham says we're going to basically stick to this budget.
[18:48] That's what we're doing.
[18:49] This is what we're doing.
[18:50] This is what we're doing.
[18:51] I became a little bit, which I am still, obsessed with sweeping.
[18:55] I love sweeping.
[18:56] It's the best house job to ever do.
[19:00] Seriously, I'll sweep.
[19:02] Best chore on the planet.
[19:03] Best chore ever.
[19:03] Just keep doing it.
[19:04] For those who aren't a client, we're talking about sweeping money into the mortgage, by
[19:08] We're not talking about sweeping the floor.
[19:10] Although Nikki does have a bit of an obsession with vacuuming and stuff as well.
[19:17] We've got some synergies at work.
[19:18] It's fine.
[19:19] Yeah.
[19:19] I turned the vacuum off and said to him, oh, I'm going to do $1,000 this week.
[19:22] What do you reckon?
[19:23] Put the vacuum back on.
[19:25] So it was four months, basically.
[19:28] We started to see things really changing.
[19:30] Yeah.
[19:30] And I said to John, this feels relieving.
[19:34] Now, we still had the hospital bills.
[19:35] We still had all of this stuff.
[19:37] Right.
[19:37] We incorporated that into the mortgages and bills and what we did.
[19:41] And then basically we had our FFF and we stuck to it.
[19:44] And...
[19:45] I'm a bit, I'm the type of person that goes, well, if I've got 5.30 we keep for our FFF.
[19:53] And I don't want to spend all that.
[19:55] So we're going to stick to this.
[19:56] I do all my groceries online.
[19:59] The way we eat structures us actually very, very, very strictly.
[20:04] And that's it.
[20:05] And we don't buy takeout.
[20:07] We're just boring.
[20:09] We're boring as batshit.
[20:11] Well, you're pretty happy for pretty boring.
[20:12] We are happy.
[20:13] I don't think you're boring.
[20:14] I think you're structured.
[20:15] We are.
[20:16] We're very.
[20:16] You're a good team.
[20:18] It's great.
[20:19] It's great.
[20:19] About four months and you were like, shit, this is real.
[20:22] Yeah, this is real.
[20:23] We're covering the hospital bills, the medical bill, all that.
[20:26] And we're still getting ahead at a crazy pace.
[20:28] Bit of a pinch yourself moment.
[20:30] Oh, definitely.
[20:30] Yeah, definitely.
[20:32] It felt nice to breathe.
[20:34] So to be nearly $190,000 better off in 18 months, nearly two years.
[20:42] And I think we've got around 50-something in redraw.
[20:46] We've got $60,000 in redraw now.
[20:48] So that's great.
[20:50] We've got three different properties.
[20:52] So if you need anything at all, there's any emergencies, any bill, the tyres on the car or Red Joe or Dr. You're fine.
[20:58] It's all good.
[20:58] Well, we actually got beautiful news on the 4th of April this year that I actually got the clear.
[21:04] I said, by the way, you know what the 4th of April is?
[21:06] It's my birthday.
[21:07] We saw that the other day.
[21:08] Congratulations.
[21:13] Yeah.
[21:13] It's my birthday.
[21:14] I'm more excited for you getting the all clear to ring that bell.
[21:17] Sweaty hair.
[21:18] Yeah.
[21:18] Thank you.
[21:19] That's great.
[21:19] There you go.
[21:20] That's great.
[21:21] I'll get to remember that every year on my birthday.
[21:23] Yeah.
[21:23] Congratulations.
[21:24] So, yeah, we were really excited.
[21:25] Huge milestone.
[21:26] We were so excited.
[21:28] For 20 years of, like, struggle, heartache, it was just like,
[21:34] man i could not even tell you graham the phone call you would have heard me in queensland seriously dude and it really has just how important yeah the journey is yeah well done so yeah we're very very fortunate we're so blessed so blessed
[21:56] It's been a great couple of years with the health, with the finance.
[22:00] It's all coming together.
[22:01] It's coming together.
[22:01] As Nikki was saying, it's sort of for the first time, we kind of feel like we can breathe, live a little.
[22:07] Yeah.
[22:08] And you know.
[22:09] The pressure's kind of lifted a bit, which is really, really nice.
[22:12] And it's nice because we can come out on the other end and literally say, yeah, we've had our ups and downs, our highs and lows.
[22:19] But throughout all of that, I wouldn't change a thing, not a damn thing.
[22:23] People say to me, what would you do?
[22:26] Nothing.
[22:28] Because you live and learn.
[22:29] What breaks you makes you.
[22:31] Well, I try not to use the word, I don't use the word mistake anymore.
[22:35] If I'm silly enough to do it twice, it's a mistake.
[22:38] I've written from a, it's a lesson.
[22:40] Yeah.
[22:40] Everything's a lesson.
[22:41] Everything.
[22:42] And the quicker and younger we can learn the lessons and actually then steer clear of it and help that, tell someone else the lesson.
[22:49] It's the old story, success leaves clues.
[22:51] Yes.
[22:52] Right?
[22:52] Yeah.
[22:52] So I think there's no mistakes in life unless you keep doing the same thing.
[22:55] Exactly.
[22:56] And expecting a different result.
[22:57] Yeah.
[22:58] There's a bit of an Einstein there.
[22:59] Yeah.
[22:59] But it's true.
[23:00] Yeah.
[23:01] Everything we experience makes us.
[23:04] Yeah.
[23:05] Totally.
[23:05] Well done.
[23:06] Yeah.
[23:06] Well done.
[23:07] Yeah.
[23:07] So...
[23:07] It does lead to those opportunities.
[23:09] Like, if you didn't do that, then you wouldn't maybe be here.
[23:11] Yeah.
[23:12] So you guys have stayed positive through it all, stayed focused, stuck to your guns, built cool businesses together.
[23:19] Yeah.
[23:19] Beautiful family.
[23:20] Yeah.
[23:21] And now financially...
[23:23] You've sort of, you've almost halved, you've knocked 200 grand nearly, plus you've got the redraw there, you've smashed the mortgage, you've done some investing as well.
[23:32] Yeah.
[23:32] I've got the three investments.
[23:33] Three investments.
[23:33] Three investments.
[23:34] Yep.
[23:35] You guys are crushing it.
[23:36] Yeah.
[23:37] Like, absolutely crushing it.
[23:38] Yeah, thank you.
[23:39] At home, on the bank balance, and the investment, like as a fair, like.
[23:43] No more debt besides the mortgage, and we just sweep, sweep, sweep as much as we can.
[23:48] Yeah.
[23:48] I love it.
[23:49] Yeah.
[23:49] Yeah.
[23:49] Yeah.
[23:51] Tell me, what was the hardest thing in the process?
[23:55] Because some people go, I know, it's easy, but what was the hardest thing to adapt to?
[24:02] From my perspective, it hasn't been that hard, really.
[24:06] Yeah, to be honest, I don't think...
[24:09] Once we sort of saw it happening, it was just like, well, it's working.
[24:15] You guys have...
[24:15] It's not hard that way, you know.
[24:17] I guess because we've had harder things, you know what I mean?
[24:20] Yeah.
[24:21] Yeah.
[24:22] I know, yeah.
[24:22] You've fully given over to the process as well.
[24:24] You've gone, all right, I'm making this investment.
[24:27] Tell me what to do.
[24:28] 100%.
[24:28] And you've done 150% of what you've been asked to do.
[24:31] Absolutely.
[24:32] You haven't...
[24:33] strayed, you haven't half budgeted, you've stuck to your guns.
[24:38] And this is a really good example for people tuning in.
[24:41] You can have results, you can have excuses, but we can't have both.
[24:46] And the results, the level of success, is determined by the effort put in.
[24:50] 100%.
[24:51] If you want the results,
[24:54] It's on you.
[24:55] It's on you, boo, as G says.
[24:59] Seriously.
[25:00] So if you want to have your mortgage gone, if you want to feel debt free, if you want to breathe, you want to live, and there's no reason why you can't go on holiday or there's no reason why you can't go out for dinner, you just structure that in your budget.
[25:12] And that's basically it.
[25:13] It doesn't mean you eat nothing.
[25:14] You're not on the air diet.
[25:16] No, and you don't go out every week.
[25:18] And you don't blow money.
[25:20] You actually become excited not to.
[25:22] Well, the average week's pretty boring.
[25:24] Yeah.
[25:24] You go to work all week.
[25:25] You might do your sport, your exercise.
[25:27] You might see a friend and you're exhausted and you're tired.
[25:30] Exactly.
[25:30] It's a normal week.
[25:31] Yeah.
[25:31] So you're not going to go out every week.
[25:33] Yeah.
[25:33] You're going to blow money every day.
[25:35] Yeah.
[25:35] Enjoy it when you want to enjoy it properly.
[25:37] Yeah.
[25:37] And we saved.
[25:38] We saved.
[25:39] We saved.
[25:41] so hard where as i was saying to you in our fff i'd saved enough money that when we actually got tape and we actually had our news come through i actually said to john i'm ringing erin just to get the clearance and she he was like why and i said let's go on holiday which is not like us and we just went can we go and he goes well why not and i said erin are we allowed to use this blah blah blah she said you've saved all that money and it's your fun food and fuel go for
[26:10] Where'd you go?
[26:11] We just went to Bali.
[26:12] It was fantastic.
[26:13] Nikki had been before as a younger person, but I'd never been.
[26:17] We normally go to Thailand, so Bali was a bit different.
[26:19] So we went for three weeks.
[26:21] Lovely.
[26:22] It was pretty awesome.
[26:23] We just chilled, talked, laughed, just chilled.
[26:26] It was fantastic.
[26:27] Yeah, it was just a celebratory holiday.
[26:30] Yeah.
[26:30] The news.
[26:31] And you can do that if you stick to your budget.
[26:34] Yeah, true.
[26:36] How has your daughter found the new structure?
[26:41] She's just in awe of Infinity.
[26:44] She wants to do it.
[26:45] She wants to do it.
[26:45] Very much so.
[26:46] They literally just bought their first place.
[26:48] Okay.
[26:49] Yep.
[26:50] Yep.
[26:50] By themselves.
[26:51] A little two-bedroom unit.
[26:52] Yep.
[26:53] Good on them.
[26:53] Yeah.
[26:54] Up near us, so it's great.
[26:55] Great.
[26:56] They did watch the webinar.
[26:58] Yes.
[26:59] And because of their first home buyers, it didn't really work for them yet.
[27:03] Yet.
[27:03] But they're following the structure.
[27:05] Yeah.
[27:05] Doing that side of it.
[27:06] She's already doing it.
[27:07] Good.
[27:08] She's already doing it.
[27:09] She'll be seeing the results as well and that'll build up that equity.
[27:12] Yeah.
[27:13] And they are hammering into their mortgage.
[27:15] Good.
[27:16] Like incredibly.
[27:17] So I love that they can do that for free.
[27:19] Yeah.
[27:19] I love that they can watch it.
[27:21] Yeah.
[27:21] Ask you a couple of quick and they can follow that themselves up for free.
[27:24] I love that.
[27:24] The webinar is the key.
[27:27] If you don't watch the webinar, well, then I'm sorry.
[27:31] You're not for this journey.
[27:32] But you've still got to help yourself.
[27:34] You can watch whatever you want to watch.
[27:35] But you've really got to take it in.
[27:37] But it's also a bit unique, right?
[27:39] Very.
[27:39] Every single firm out there is dying for someone to message them or ring them or inquire to them.
[27:45] We don't.
[27:45] You inquire, it's like here's the resource.
[27:48] That webinar is what I would tell you in a 45-minute meeting.
[27:52] right yeah here's the thing hey this is who i am this is what i do this is the construct of what i would tell you in the first hour or so we meet yeah i think this is all relevant to your mortgage a bit about the economy i agree a bit about rates i agree a bit about the things the banks do that's bullshit yeah and by the way here's the structure to not just have a 30 year loan but to fucking destroy it really quickly if you watch that webinar your life will change you can do it all yourself you can do it i give way too much down to people yeah
[28:17] In a sense, yeah.
[28:18] But sometimes people go, and they're lazy about it.
[28:22] But if you're that passionate about what you want to leave for generational wealth, for your own well-being, for your own happiness, and to breathe every day without having to feel that added stress, a 45-minute webinar will change your life.
[28:37] It will.
[28:37] But it still comes down to, and it sort of comes to health as well, like...
[28:41] you've got to be willing to sacrifice something to get something.
[28:45] Yeah.
[28:46] Doesn't come over.
[28:47] Don't take the easy path, if you know what I mean.
[28:48] So, yeah.
[28:49] And, you know, it takes that four to six months to see the actual progress of what you're actually striving for at the end.
[28:56] Don't give up.
[28:58] Keep going.
[28:59] It's too easy to give up.
[29:00] Yeah.
[29:00] Don't give up.
[29:01] Love it.
[29:03] Tell me, how active are you guys in the community?
[29:05] Yeah.
[29:07] I'd like to be more active, I think.
[29:08] We want to be more active.
[29:09] But we've been to the few events.
[29:11] We went to the Newcastle event.
[29:12] Okay.
[29:12] Oh, awesome.
[29:13] Yes, we did the Central Coast event.
[29:15] We did Sydney event.
[29:16] We went to the Smash Karts or whatever it was, the Mario.
[29:19] Yeah, that looks pretty cool.
[29:20] That was so brilliant.
[29:21] I didn't even know it was there.
[29:22] We lived there.
[29:22] I have to say, we didn't even know it was there.
[29:24] It was fantastic.
[29:25] I love Mario.
[29:26] You know, as a kid, yeah.
[29:27] I played Mario Kart.
[29:27] It's brilliant.
[29:28] And I'm like, real life Mario car.
[29:30] Real adult Mario car.
[29:31] Seriously, it was brilliant.
[29:33] Thank you so much.
[29:33] And that was at Tugger and we live at Berkeley, which is like five minutes down the road.
[29:36] And it's like, wow.
[29:37] I didn't know it existed either.
[29:39] Our team were great with that stuff.
[29:40] Yeah.
[29:40] It was, the community events are brilliant.
[29:43] We talked to so many people.
[29:43] A week later we went to the Sydney one, didn't we?
[29:45] We went to Sydney.
[29:45] And that was huge.
[29:46] That was a big one.
[29:47] That was huge.
[29:47] Like 600 people or something.
[29:48] But still really personal.
[29:49] Yeah.
[29:50] Super personal.
[29:51] People are still happy to talk.
[29:54] We've met some really good people through infinity Very, very supportive Seriously And all on the same journey Yeah Non-judgmental It is nice to be surrounded by like-minded people And positive You know You've said it before Like surround yourself with people Yeah Where you want to make Instead of money being taboo These are all open Yeah We all talk about money What's your budget?
[30:16] What's your budget?
[30:17] The one thing you're not supposed to talk about Imagine sitting at the pub going Got a budget, mate?
[30:22] It's not in your budget.
[30:23] It's like, put that beer back.
[30:24] Yeah, put that scooter back, mate.
[30:25] What are you doing on the punt?
[30:28] It is unique and it's like, there was a good 600 people.
[30:32] It's wild.
[30:34] Yeah, it is.
[30:35] The venues are amazing too.
[30:37] Amazing.
[30:38] They've got it down patting.
[30:39] They've got the face painting for the kids.
[30:41] Yeah, it's beautiful.
[30:42] They've got the alcohol for the... And the food.
[30:44] And the food, my... Oh, my gosh.
[30:47] You never get hungry.
[30:48] My team know when you come to an event, there is... Because you know the worst thing?
[30:51] You go to, like, a corporate event or a wedding.
[30:53] You have one loaf.
[30:54] You're starving because you travel.
[30:56] Right?
[30:56] You quickly get home and get it.
[30:58] And there's one bit of bread.
[30:59] You smash the bread and then you wait an hour.
[31:01] And then it's the chicken or the beef.
[31:02] And I'm like, no.
[31:03] You could...
[31:04] unlimited bread trolleys.
[31:06] I want a buffet of everything.
[31:08] Unlimited ice cream, freezers.
[31:10] Everything you can think of.
[31:11] Except Lenny eats all the ice cream.
[31:12] And there's still food left over, seriously.
[31:15] I know, I know.
[31:16] But no, Infinity has changed us all around.
[31:20] It is truly, we ooze so much gratefulness.
[31:26] You have no idea what it's done.
[31:29] We haven't done, but we've been watching the 75 hard and the 60 strong and all that.
[31:33] Yeah.
[31:34] But as we said, our health journey has changed.
[31:36] Our health changed.
[31:37] We went carnivore last year.
[31:40] Yeah.
[31:40] How did you find it?
[31:42] The year before.
[31:42] Wow.
[31:43] Through my uncle and aunt in Queensland.
[31:45] Yeah.
[31:45] They were doing it.
[31:46] Yeah.
[31:47] They had some health issues.
[31:49] We saw them, I think, about three months and six months after.
[31:53] Yeah.
[31:54] And they just looked amazing.
[31:55] Right.
[31:56] And then they told us their health benefits.
[31:58] Yeah.
[31:58] showed us a few videos on YouTube of the people and we said, all right, well, let's give it a crack.
[32:03] I've got nothing to lose.
[32:04] I've done everything there is.
[32:06] We literally were staying with them for about four or five days.
[32:09] We ate what they ate, did what they did.
[32:12] We actually came to rent.
[32:13] That's right, it was the week before REM.
[32:15] Yeah, and we're sitting there eating our bread going, oh, this isn't going to be cut.
[32:20] But it's okay.
[32:21] They changed.
[32:22] And then we went home and continued it on.
[32:24] We haven't looked back.
[32:25] And as I said, literally a year later, Nikki was cancer-free from that.
[32:29] Yeah.
[32:29] Wow.
[32:30] Change of no sugar, no carbs, no nothing.
[32:33] Just doctors were astonished.
[32:35] Wow.
[32:35] Yeah.
[32:36] That's awesome.
[32:37] Yeah.
[32:38] Do you feel great?
[32:39] Feel awesome.
[32:40] Yeah.
[32:40] Okay.
[32:41] I've lost about 15 kilos.
[32:42] Nikki's lost 35 kilos.
[32:44] Yeah.
[32:45] 35?
[32:46] Yeah.
[32:47] Yeah.
[32:48] It was just great.
[32:49] The way it makes me feel.
[32:50] It makes me feel clean.
[32:51] I can, no fuzziness, no nothing, no lathargicness, nothing.
[32:56] Nothing.
[32:56] No brain fog.
[32:57] No, nothing at all.
[32:58] It's amazing.
[32:59] It's amazing.
[32:59] Yeah.
[33:00] Yeah.
[33:00] But again, believe in something, give it 100%, you'll get an outcome.
[33:06] So it's the same with the infinity journey.
[33:08] If you do anything.
[33:09] That's what I'm saying.
[33:10] So the last two years, health and wealth wise, it's been phenomenal.
[33:13] And you've really tackled all of it at once.
[33:16] Yeah.
[33:16] A lot of people are like, oh, you know what?
[33:18] Like I've done it.
[33:19] I'm going to go get really wealthy and I'll worry about my health later.
[33:21] Yeah.
[33:22] Or I'm going to go get really healthy, but I'm financially fucked.
[33:27] And then I'll worry about my relationship when I get wealthy or healthy.
[33:31] That wheel of life, you guys are really just tackling it all full on.
[33:34] I had nothing to lose, Graeme.
[33:36] There was a point where I got to, and really it's two and a half years ago, they gave me the, there was an ultimatum basically.
[33:43] You either keep going with stuff or you haven't got long to go.
[33:47] So I literally went, I am going hammer and hold of everything.
[33:51] I am looking at structuring my family.
[33:53] I want to leave a legacy.
[33:54] I want to do something.
[33:56] I have nothing to lose.
[33:57] So when we changed our lifestyle, when we changed the way we structured our living within infinity and we made this progression all around.
[34:07] I said to John, we've got nothing to lose.
[34:10] What can we lose?
[34:11] Each other.
[34:12] We'll actually lose each other.
[34:14] So we either go on this journey together.
[34:17] And we make it work.
[34:18] And that's what we believed in.
[34:20] And that's basically another initiative of how we stay positive.
[34:26] Seeing the – I can't be emotional, sorry.
[34:30] But you see the outcome, what it's done.
[34:34] If you don't do, you will not gain.
[34:36] So you just keep going.
[34:38] And now it's wonderful.
[34:40] Anyone who's down and out, you probably need to catch up with these guys at a community event and steal some of the energy on us.
[34:46] Yeah.
[34:47] It's definitely infectious, so I'm going to go for a run after that.
[34:53] Instead of waiting for tonight for my gym session.
[34:56] I love it.
[34:58] You should be really bloody proud of yourselves.
[35:00] Like, really bloody proud of yourselves.
[35:02] Make sure you do take time to embrace that and stop and enjoy it and do your holidays and trips and all that sort of stuff.
[35:08] You should be so bloody proud.
[35:10] And your daughter's got their first home.
[35:14] It's really great to see it permeate through...
[35:17] Yeah.
[35:17] Yourselves and then family and, you know, kids.
[35:20] And it's really, really cool to see that impact.
[35:22] And it is good.
[35:23] Like Nikki's sisters have looked at it as well.
[35:26] Yeah, yeah.
[35:26] One of them looked at it.
[35:29] Husband wasn't so keen, but, yeah.
[35:31] But my other sister, she's like...
[35:32] They've gone to another company and they're doing something.
[35:34] Good.
[35:34] They're doing something.
[35:35] But then my other sister's like, oh, you know, I've really got to get into it.
[35:38] I've really got to do the Masterclass.
[35:40] I've got to do this and I've got to do that.
[35:41] And I said, well, you've got to, but...
[35:43] Until you do, you're not going to see those results.
[35:47] We all procrastinate on so many things in life.
[35:49] And it's like, at what point do you bite the bullet?
[35:52] Well, even seeing what we've done, seeing how our lives have changed, our family are extremely happy and, you know, they basically say, you should be feeling over the moon.
[36:08] I said, we are.
[36:09] We can't thank God.
[36:10] Really, Infinity and doing like, when you do 65 hard, and they're doing all these health things as well within the community and people talking, it's not just about wealth.
[36:23] No.
[36:24] It's health.
[36:24] It is wealth.
[36:26] But it's happiness.
[36:27] It's contentment.
[36:28] Someone said to me, they go, you guys are kind of a lifestyle brand.
[36:32] I was like, huh?
[36:34] You're kind of a lifestyle brand.
[36:36] You've got these clean energy drinks with a supplement company.
[36:39] You've got Nick and Casey now doing the male-female versions of the health and wellness.
[36:47] You're just trying to build the gym we've got.
[36:50] And I think Infinity needs to keep going with that.
[36:53] Yes.
[36:55] Thanks for putting that on.
[36:58] Just add it to the pile.
[36:59] I was just going to say, on the list.
[37:01] You know what?
[37:02] All right.
[37:03] If you can do all the things you're doing, I can do that.
[37:06] No problem.
[37:07] Done.
[37:07] You've got me on camera.
[37:08] There you go.
[37:11] It is an important thing, I think, that, I mean, most finance companies don't have a sense of community.
[37:16] It's very transactional.
[37:17] Yeah.
[37:18] We made that decision a long time ago to try to, and I think we've nailed to be transformational.
[37:23] Yeah.
[37:23] You know, the amount of hampers and flowers.
[37:26] Oh, that's amazing.
[37:27] Our staff, there's no budget restriction, right?
[37:29] No, that's amazing.
[37:29] So they're allowed to do whatever they feel relevant, whenever they feel relevant, as they get to know a customer.
[37:36] And then I feel very confident that unless somebody's new and they haven't embraced, because it's two to tango.
[37:43] We can't embrace you unless you embrace us.
[37:45] Every now and then I get a message on social media, thousands of clients, thousands of...
[37:48] I don't feel like I get treated the way everyone else gets treated.
[37:51] And I read the notes and I can see everything.
[37:54] Yeah.
[37:54] That's crazy.
[37:55] That's interesting.
[37:56] We've called you 16 times and only had one return call.
[38:00] Yeah, wow.
[38:01] See what I mean?
[38:02] It always takes two to tango.
[38:04] two-way street all the way i love that the team like we are there's no budget there's no rule they want to send you a birthday present a hamper a card a cookie whatever it might flowers just like whatever it is go for gold yeah that's amazing and it's great to see them do that when they're not measured on it no they're not restricted on it they do it because they want to yeah that's really cool so all that sort of stuff of health and wellness and
[38:27] There are a few things we're working on next year that will come out just because they're into it.
[38:33] But it's also hard because sometimes people say, oh, we want more merchandise and we sell out of hats and they're on back order.
[38:41] And they go, oh, we want cool shirts with you do you, boo, or see you or something like that.
[38:45] And we do that and then they don't sell.
[38:47] It's very hit and miss sometimes.
[38:49] Just give me a job and I'll help you all the way.
[38:51] Seriously.
[38:52] You've got your business to do.
[38:53] No, I'm happy.
[38:54] That's my dream.
[38:55] That's actually something I've put out there.
[38:58] I've put it out there to the universe.
[38:59] I want to work for infinity.
[39:00] Oh, do you?
[39:01] I do desperately.
[39:02] What are you going to do?
[39:03] We actually did apply.
[39:05] Yeah.
[39:05] Oh.
[39:07] I would love to either be RM.
[39:09] Relationship manager.
[39:10] But the thing is, at the end of the day, if I can help others in others,
[39:16] folds and make me smile daily i swear it would be the most rewarding right career you've got to move house but that's fine we're gonna move anyway that's sort of the next phase of our life is move talk to hr and move near an office above my pay grade
[39:35] But no, that's probably our next step.
[39:38] And I think in fairness, and some people disagree with this, but what we do is so different to any other financial firm.
[39:46] We're very strict in office policy because to learn what we do and the way we do it.
[39:53] You have to like, you know, I can see, say, if Corey's chatting to someone there and Maria's chatting to someone there and Kat hears it there.
[40:03] Oh, what was that about?
[40:04] And they bounce off each and go, oh, the family was trying to do this and this is what happened.
[40:09] And they all learn and grow from that.
[40:10] And then once people pass probation and then they're proficient, then they can do a day or two from home.
[40:17] It's the apprenticeship.
[40:18] And you know what I think is lost in all industries?
[40:21] Everyone's get rich quick.
[40:22] No.
[40:23] Everyone wants to pay rise, wants commission.
[40:25] They want to start here.
[40:26] Why don't you do two to three, four years before you have an expectation of not being a junior or a trainee?
[40:34] We know that.
[40:35] John started as an apprentice all over again in our business.
[40:39] So that doesn't phase us.
[40:41] It doesn't scare us.
[40:42] We go in at the bottom.
[40:44] You can't go in up there.
[40:45] You go in down there and you work your way through.
[40:48] And basically you learn and it only makes you a better person for the outcome of your job.
[40:52] Where is it moving to?
[40:54] Well, Queensland, hopefully.
[40:56] When?
[40:56] Oh, you know, when Graham tells us to change it.
[41:00] We want to sell out.
[41:01] Fuck, I'm getting stitched here.
[41:03] No, we...
[41:04] It's getting hot in here.
[41:09] We decided with everything that's happened and, you know, we're happy where we are within our finances, but we want to go in harder and we want to sell our house, pay the debt.
[41:21] Well, you've got a bit of a skill too that you might sell your house and then buy a fixer-up or up here and maybe do a flip or two as the first principal place of residence and live through a reno and maybe a new job.
[41:35] We've got a couple of options.
[41:36] Obviously, the ultimate would be to join Infinity.
[41:41] But our plan B is we're on the Central Coast at the moment.
[41:44] We'd want to move to maybe more country, Cessnock, Singleton.
[41:49] That's where we did a couple of flips a few years before.
[41:52] Like the area, like the people.
[41:54] It's just that step back again.
[41:56] When we moved to the Central Coast 24 years ago, that's what that was like.
[42:01] Now it's crazy.
[42:02] It's crazy.
[42:03] Especially after COVID as well.
[42:05] Everyone sort of moved up.
[42:06] They either went to Central Coast or they went Queensland, right?
[42:09] But our end goal is basically to sell our house.
[42:12] Our house is basically, we've been there nearly 25 years.
[42:15] So we want to sell our house now, pay that debt off.
[42:18] We know how much the house is worth.
[42:20] Buy again, debt free.
[42:22] And it's like, oh, talk about taking that next big breath would be fantastic.
[42:26] We need to do an evolution of your strategy after this podcast.
[42:29] Good, bring it on.
[42:30] I've been obviously watching all your other podcasts and I think we're ready to be a bit more aggressive.
[42:38] Yeah.
[42:38] Okay.
[42:39] Yeah.
[42:39] If you said jump, we just say how high.
[42:42] Yeah.
[42:43] Okay.
[42:44] And at the end of the day, if it means...
[42:47] Changing states.
[42:49] We can.
[42:49] We've lived through so much.
[42:52] Yeah.
[42:53] What's a change of state?
[42:54] Okay.
[42:55] Family is there.
[42:56] Our daughter is happy.
[42:58] Our family is happy.
[42:59] Mm.
[42:59] You know, it's great.
[43:01] And change for us now is like another breath of fresh air.
[43:05] It'd be nice.
[43:06] Mm.
[43:06] Yeah.
[43:07] Yeah.
[43:07] So, yeah, like buying, renovating, living in it.
[43:11] That to us is like, we're like pigs in mud when you give us that stuff.
[43:15] Seriously.
[43:16] Very strange in that we do enjoy renovating.
[43:18] We love renovating.
[43:19] It's fantastic.
[43:21] So we've got a bit of a hop, step and a jump.
[43:22] So Hunter.
[43:24] Reno flip, then no capital gains tax either.
[43:29] So Reno flip, right property, right value space, right uplift comparable.
[43:33] And you can do the math, you know.
[43:36] If that's the beautiful renoed house and that's the non, yep, what's it cost?
[43:40] Yep, there's some margin there to do that in the next 12 months or so.
[43:44] Happy days.
[43:45] And then flip and you may love it there and do it again.
[43:48] You may come here.
[43:51] So Pandora's box can open.
[43:53] Okay.
[43:54] We're very open.
[43:55] Yeah.
[43:56] I mean, you know what, Graham?
[43:59] If you can look cancer in the eye and say, sorry about the language, but fuck you.
[44:04] Yeah.
[44:06] I am not letting you in.
[44:09] You can deal with anything, but you can't do that unless you have the right person beside you.
[44:16] Correct.
[44:18] And if that person is as appreciative of life in general as you, you know what?
[44:24] You'll succeed.
[44:25] Absolutely.
[44:27] You'll succeed.
[44:28] You just have to take the little things out of every day and appreciate them.
[44:33] Yep.
[44:34] Yeah, we're all too quick to woe is me and worry about the littlest things that get us upset and angry and this and that.
[44:40] And they're really nothing compared to some of the things that people are going through.
[44:44] And, you know, some days we would laugh through it.
[44:47] I'd be like at my worst and he would say something and I'd laugh my head off and I would say thanks.
[44:54] Like seriously?
[44:56] Without that, what do you get through?
[44:58] Like what do you live for?
[45:01] I love it.
[45:01] So positive.
[45:03] So big picture plan.
[45:05] Then we want to review your strategy after this.
[45:07] Then we're going to get you back to do a part two.
[45:09] And I'm very sure there'll be a part three and four of this podcast.
[45:12] I can tell already, which is good.
[45:15] We need to review the strategy, look at a futuristic.
[45:19] So if we sell for X,
[45:20] Pay out why.
[45:21] Already got a couple, three investments.
[45:24] Make sure they still fit.
[45:25] Do a reno flip in the Hunter maybe.
[45:28] Get a slow pace of life.
[45:29] Enjoy that time together on that project.
[45:32] And then go, oh, we like it here.
[45:33] We'll stay here.
[45:33] We're not the next day.
[45:34] Hey, we want to go up to Queensland and talk to Infinity and blah, blah, blah.
[45:38] And we're going to get a place on the water there and flip that because there's not a lot of waterfront left here.
[45:44] See some crazy results for people doing some stuff up here on the coast.
[45:48] That's crazy stuff.
[45:50] And what we might do in your strategy is, is it a 1.5 million flip there?
[45:59] Or is it a $3 million Broad Beach Waters knockdown flip rebuild?
[46:06] As I said, you just listened.
[46:09] I don't know.
[46:10] Okay, whatever you say.
[46:13] maths this is a little bit but i know a guy yeah yeah yeah i know a guy we can put it in sounds great spreadsheet it all out and be like okay sounds good but i just think yeah that would be amazing again listen to the process listen to you you know grateful super grateful
[46:38] I'm grateful for you guys sharing.
[46:39] I appreciate it.
[46:40] Thank you.
[46:41] Thank you for the opportunity.
[46:42] It's great.
[46:43] Thank you.
[46:43] Are you coming to the Christmas party?
[46:44] Yes.
[46:45] Just checking.
[46:45] Yeah, yeah.
[46:46] Alphys are done.
[46:47] Oh, Alphys ready?
[46:48] Yeah, yeah.
[46:49] Okay.
[46:49] A bit exciting.
[46:50] Okay.
[46:50] Everyone's starting to get a bit excited.
[46:52] Yeah, it's exciting.
[46:52] Last year's was fantastic.
[46:54] Yeah, it was good.
[46:55] Fantastic.
[46:56] It was crazy.
[46:57] Unbelievable.
[46:57] It was like, you're not going to top that.
[46:59] And I'm like, yeah, we will.
[47:01] Minus the dolphins.
[47:02] Yes.
[47:03] Yeah, yeah.
[47:04] And the people that had too many drinks and then went on the rollercoaster.
[47:08] I stayed away from that.
[47:09] Yeah, no, thanks.
[47:10] It was pretty cool.
[47:11] But no, it was great.
[47:12] And yeah, we're coming to the Christmas party.
[47:14] Awesome.
[47:14] And amazing, by the way, on the fundraising.
[47:17] That has been phenomenal.
[47:19] Yeah.
[47:20] Yeah, that's just incredible.
[47:21] We did our donation.
[47:23] We're so happy.
[47:23] Thank you.
[47:24] And then we were just talking about on the way up, actually.
[47:27] I was talking about what we're going to pick up for the Christmas tree.
[47:31] It's really exciting.
[47:33] It's so beautiful.
[47:34] And to have that feeling like you got from last year, to do it again.
[47:37] You see all the presents at the end?
[47:39] It's just incredible.
[47:40] Truckloads.
[47:41] Incredible.
[47:42] And the numbers are bigger this year.
[47:44] I said, right, 500 grand, 5,000 presents.
[47:47] We've destroyed the 500 grand.
[47:50] Well, every day, web again, 100% of everything, I've got it up on my computer screen and I just refresh.
[47:58] I look at it before I go to bed, I have a look and I'm like, whoa.
[48:02] It's beautiful.
[48:03] And I sit there for a while and I watch all the names scroll through.
[48:06] I'm like, you beautiful human being.
[48:07] And then every night before bed and then every morning I'm like,
[48:12] whoa and like that happened overnight yeah like it's crazy and i think again because i'm so grateful for cancer and being healthy and you with the christmas tree and kmart it's like you can see how you feel i love it it's amazing and so we we we tell people all the time seriously
[48:35] You have no idea what this company does for others.
[48:38] It's not about us only.
[48:40] It's about other people.
[48:41] It's very humbling.
[48:43] You've got to have some legacy.
[48:45] Yes.
[48:45] You've got to have some impact.
[48:46] Yes.
[48:47] It's an even small business.
[48:49] Everybody has that social responsibility, I believe.
[48:52] Yeah.
[48:52] And I've always done stuff, you know, probably this one's a big community thing and it gets traction now, but I mean, we do so much that is private, but...
[49:01] This one's just my big passion project.
[49:03] I think every year I just, I kept saying if I can get it bigger and bigger and bigger, eventually it's going to be so noticed that the everyday family is all going to go in to go.
[49:13] And they're in Kmart every fucking day anyway, blowing money.
[49:16] And maybe they, oh, I won't get the extra top or the extra this.
[49:20] And they'll just leave something for 20, 30 bucks there for another child.
[49:23] And it's not just the kids.
[49:25] I remember mum actually being so not stressed because we had black and gold, if you remember.
[49:32] Black and gold.
[49:33] Black and gold tin food in the cupboard.
[49:34] Because the whole welfare thing for us, it was like, at that time for us, it was they connected our electricity because it was disconnected.
[49:41] They filled the cupboards with food.
[49:43] We had the whole hamper, the whole welfare come to the home.
[49:46] Come into the welfare department, pick a toy, get, you know, like the whole shebang.
[49:49] Like it was mum's working multiple casual jobs.
[49:53] It was tough.
[49:54] Yeah.
[49:55] But I think it's not just the kid that gets that joy that day that every child deserves.
[49:59] Yeah.
[49:59] It's the parent as well.
[50:02] We've had people that have, we had a lady who was a hairdresser, she had to shut down her salon.
[50:08] Her husband, she was going through breast cancer and this was the other year we didn't know and she was going through breast cancer.
[50:16] Husband had to shut his business down to help care for her and the kids.
[50:19] He was some sort of tradesman and we were at the Rabina office then and we had made a decision, Beck had seen, and this wasn't in the meeting, that Beck had seen somebody going out with a lay-by.
[50:29] Yeah, okay.
[50:30] It was a bit far, 2023, I think it was.
[50:32] She's like, lay-bys?
[50:34] Oh.
[50:35] So she snuck off and she paid off all the store lay-bys at Kmart Rabina.
[50:41] And this lady had rang up in her tears because we'd moved from Rabina office to Varsity.
[50:45] And when they go in, they said, hey, it's been paid for.
[50:49] What do you mean?
[50:50] They're allowed to ask, and if they ask, they say.
[50:52] This company, they come in every year.
[50:54] And so she'd made the effort to hunt us down because she went to Robina, and we'd moved, and the office was empty, and we went to Varsity.
[51:01] And she ended up having this amazing conversation with Gina, our receptionist was in tears, just explaining that she'd lost the business, they had to shut it down, she's going back, hubby had to shut his, and they were literally going into Kmart that year
[51:16] to cancel the lay-bys to get what they paid off and there's a fee i think to get the cash to actually pay for the christmas food so so that stuff there yeah anyway that stuff there's like that's the impact you don't realize you're having that somebody for all intensive purposes on the outside their friends are like oh you're like oh you're like oh you're like oh you're like oh you're
[51:38] oh yeah, he's got the big ute and they've got the trade, whatever trade it.
[51:42] And she had the salon and yeah, she said like, that's the stuff of the impact that people don't realise how far it goes.
[51:48] So I would say to anyone who listens to this, they were saying it costs nothing to be kind, but...
[51:54] You know, so many people can go without 20, 30 bucks.
[51:57] Yeah.
[51:58] You know, you could not buy yourself a fucking takeaway tie on Friday night.
[52:01] Or coffee for a week or something.
[52:03] Or coffee or we're like, somebody is really, really, really annoying and really struggling.
[52:07] Absolutely.
[52:08] Unless you've been there.
[52:09] Yep.
[52:09] You don't acknowledge it.
[52:10] No.
[52:10] If you're not struggling, I think you've got a fucking duty to help somebody else that you'll never meet.
[52:15] Yeah, and that's exactly how we feel, like you.
[52:19] That's why we know that feeling.
[52:21] Being at high debts, credit cards maxed, like all redraws are gone.
[52:25] Do you do anything to survive in that?
[52:27] You've been there.
[52:27] Yeah.
[52:28] You rob Peter to put whatever you can to survive and cover those medical bills.
[52:31] And we were people who were proud, so we said nothing.
[52:34] We asked for never, ever, ever, ever asked for help.
[52:36] Yeah.
[52:37] Never.
[52:38] Never.
[52:39] In all the time that we have had what we've done, we've never gone to the mums and dads and helped, help, help.
[52:45] We don't do that.
[52:46] We find the way together.
[52:49] But that's what makes you stronger.
[52:51] And that's what makes you look at life and you go, guess what?
[52:55] How bloody lucky are we to be here?
[52:57] Absolutely.
[52:58] How lucky.
[52:59] Absolutely.
[52:59] We're blessed.
[53:00] We're very, very fortunate.
[53:01] We're very blessed.
[53:02] But unless you can share a bit of that and give back, it means nothing at the end of the day.
[53:06] Exactly.
[53:07] Well done, guys.
[53:08] Hey, we're definitely getting you back for two, three, for a couple more episodes, and we're going to follow this journey, and I'll play with the strategy with the team.
[53:15] Thank you.
[53:16] Thank you.
[53:16] But any questions for me before we wrap up today?
[53:20] We sort of had one that you kind of just touched on by telling that story, which was, you know,
[53:25] we know that you're very generous in what you do with the giving and the fundraisings and all that sort of stuff.
[53:30] Do you ever hear back?
[53:31] And you've kind of already answered that.
[53:32] We actually do.
[53:33] So that's not in here at the moment, but we've got a, um, a framed picture somewhere and, and I'll get them to pop it up in the edit.
[53:41] Maybe the podcast that posts when we finished, they can edit it in.
[53:44] Um, the, the team at Kmart's at the local stores that we go to each year, you know, it's very well in the staff and then, and it's awesome.
[53:51] And they actually were taking photos of people at the lay-by counter.
[53:57] Oh, wow.
[53:57] Them not knowing, but you know what it's like.
[53:58] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[53:59] And then after they told, like, as I was telling them, and then asking if it was okay if they could share that with us.
[54:04] Yeah, nice.
[54:05] A lot of people wrote cards and letters or would call the offer.
[54:09] um we do get quite a lot uh and that's a that's a non like because they had came up had a current affair and there's a cool thing on the news and a lady that said i found you watching your current affair and i was like when they said a current affair i'm like huh and they're like no no they like do these cool so i'm like oh good on them they do good journalism as well as the other stuff but yes
[54:28] But yeah, we get cards, we get letters, people pop into the office and they're like knocking on the door because of the way the building's designed.
[54:37] And they call and stuff and social media messages.
[54:39] So you do actually hear back from a lot.
[54:44] The bigger scale stuff, you know, like the 730, 40 odd thousand, who knows what that number is by the Christmas party.
[54:51] 758, I don't know.
[54:53] But obviously, we know how that's deployed.
[54:56] We get a very amazing detailed report from the Salvos in Kmart.
[55:00] We actually get invited to a luncheon and a dinner.
[55:04] And we get to sit there and listen to how it was deployed.
[55:06] They actually have some families volunteer to come and share.
[55:09] So you actually get to meet some people.
[55:11] They share the impact.
[55:13] And that's where it...
[55:14] I mean, being a recipient in its very early years makes it very raw.
[55:19] I get the impact.
[55:20] But then for our team to hear...
[55:24] We also get the ability for our team to go and help pack campers as well.
[55:28] Yeah, I think that's so important.
[55:29] So the depot, they get to go pack campers, they get to go help with presents.
[55:32] That's awesome.
[55:34] Then there's the whole Christmas meal thing as well, so you can provide meals.
[55:37] And then in the new year, they do the school, back to school kits as well.
[55:42] Oh, that's great.
[55:43] That's all Salvo.
[55:44] I'm a Salvo's kid.
[55:46] Yeah, yeah.
[55:47] So funny enough growing up, I was, let me call it baptised, I don't know what Salvation Army, you know.
[55:52] They're a version of church, right?
[55:54] I'm thought of it these days.
[55:55] But I was actually at Tarawana in Wollongong, was baptized, you'd call it, as a Salvation Army kid.
[56:01] And back then, it was the poor kids back then.
[56:03] Yeah, yeah.
[56:03] Salvos was like daycare.
[56:04] Mum had a part-time job and you'd go play youth group at the Salvos, right?
[56:09] Yeah.
[56:09] My clothes came.
[56:10] And Nan and Pop were devout Catholics who I've lost now, sadly.
[56:13] But they were very much St. Vincent's to Paul.
[56:16] So my school holidays was either Salvo's, before Sport Salvo, or St Vinnie's.
[56:21] St Vinnie's I used to be ducking in and out of bins and sorting and cleaning and sweeping and getting the old bitties, their lunch, cuppers, and I'd get a pair of shoes.
[56:29] You know, you get something for your charitable work.
[56:33] I spent my school holidays then as a young fella actually helping with that stuff.
[56:37] That's awesome.
[56:37] And then before that was pre-sport and then sport was always sport.
[56:41] So, yeah, it's really cool.
[56:43] So, we actually get a lot of impact back.
[56:45] That story though is a big reason why Infinity is so successful.
[56:54] Maybe.
[56:55] Because if you don't go low at times in your life, you don't always see the impact you can make on people of today.
[57:04] How you can make someone happy, smile, eat, dress, feel.
[57:09] Like you come from nothing to something.
[57:12] It shows even more.
[57:13] If you ever want to join infinity, you cannot ever be more grateful for,
[57:20] for that, with that background, that background story helps what infinity has become today.
[57:26] It's no, it's just, look, it's no woe is me story.
[57:28] No, no, no.
[57:29] We're saying it is what it is today.
[57:31] Yeah, I haven't cut that cord.
[57:33] No.
[57:33] But it is a very big driving force in the background of give, not just take.
[57:37] Because most people could honestly think, oh, you know, this is just a wealthy company trying to make themselves look good.
[57:43] No, mate.
[57:43] Oh, we do all right.
[57:45] Yeah.
[57:46] But you also appreciate it.
[57:48] There's got to be reciprocity.
[57:49] It's got to be win-win.
[57:50] It's appreciative.
[57:51] And you've got to give back as well.
[57:52] I mean, no one has to give back.
[57:54] No.
[57:55] But it's nice.
[57:56] Yes.
[57:56] But it's not part of your marketing campaign.
[57:58] No way.
[57:59] No way.
[57:59] No way.
[57:59] The Kmart Salvos thing gets traction because it's so big.
[58:02] Yes.
[58:03] But, I mean, again, you couldn't get the results we get.
[58:06] If we didn't do right by customers, customers wouldn't be chipping in $700, $800,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $100,000, $
[58:12] And I think for a small, but privately owned finance company to get $750, a million bucks raised in 30 days.
[58:22] It feels so good.
[58:23] That shows how well our clients are doing and the reciprocity from them.
[58:27] Yeah, it's wonderful.
[58:28] I love it.
[58:29] Wonderful.
[58:30] What else did you want to pick my brain on?
[58:32] Anything at all?
[58:34] How do you envision infinite health growing and developing and what is the role within the broader Infinity community?
[58:41] Yeah, so I've just started, everyone knows I'm pretty vocal about it, with my health over the years.
[58:46] So I'm nine kilos down now, and that's through a trip to Europe and back.
[58:52] So we took our trainer with us.
[58:54] I mean, obviously we're doing well.
[58:56] And people go, oh, that makes it easier.
[58:58] But I've always been very black and white.
[59:00] I'm losing three kilos a week, unsustainable, and now it's shit and I'm going to eat like shit again and put it back on.
[59:07] So I finally, as I've got my mature going right, just needs to be slow and sustainable and consistent.
[59:12] Finally got food under control.
[59:14] Started working with an amazing new doctor.
[59:18] who's really into biohacking and all that sort of stuff in Melbourne and he's been great.
[59:24] So what we're doing is besides me focusing on my health and overall everything, I'm doing at the moment, I'm still going through thousands of tests probably, you know.
[59:35] bloods gene like you name it um angiograms mri like you like every single thing you can think of so if there's something there we grab it early yeah right uh and then the chances of coming at us are great right they're much stronger
[59:52] So we're just going through that process.
[59:53] Now, it's been a drawn out process because of my schedule.
[59:57] And then like trying to get into certain medical tests is like, oh, we can see you on this day.
[1:00:00] And I'm like, oh, I can't do that day.
[1:00:02] We can say, oh, I can't do that.
[1:00:03] So it's been a bit longer than I'd like.
[1:00:06] But just following the protocol straight away, just getting 10,000, 12,000 steps a day and making it, because I never move.
[1:00:14] I'm stationary all day, very dormant all day.
[1:00:17] I don't have that feeling in IT.
[1:00:18] So getting the 10,000, 12,000 steps every day, no matter what, morning or night.
[1:00:22] I've got the pedometer on my phone.
[1:00:24] I've got a little, I can see it all day and track it.
[1:00:27] You know, if I'm not hitting it for any reason, I'll be out walking around on the balcony in the office for calls, et cetera.
[1:00:33] So doing that, following the protocol, following food, getting food under control has been the big one for me.
[1:00:39] Yeah.
[1:00:39] I mean, we traveled Europe for two and a half, three weeks, and I came back six, seven kilos lighter.
[1:00:44] Wow.
[1:00:44] That's hard in Europe.
[1:00:45] That was especially in Europe.
[1:00:46] Hard in Europe.
[1:00:47] I love food, right?
[1:00:47] Yeah.
[1:00:48] Um, and then being home for two weeks, another three kilos.
[1:00:52] Um, so I'm on my, I'm on my way.
[1:00:54] You're much better.
[1:00:55] Moving better.
[1:00:56] Feel better.
[1:00:57] Yeah.
[1:00:58] Um, and alcohol, like I just used to be, you know, I'm not, not a daily.
[1:01:03] I'd never come home from work and drink, but once a week it would be a big, you know, dinner, business, whatever, too much drinking and then eating and then hung over the next day.
[1:01:13] And yeah.
[1:01:14] So cutting all of that sort of stuff.
[1:01:16] So well underway because we want to start a family next year.
[1:01:19] So all of those tests, all that sort of stuff.
[1:01:21] Yeah.
[1:01:22] And it's just a new way of life now.
[1:01:23] Yeah.
[1:01:24] And it's just been the last couple of months, you know.
[1:01:26] Yeah.
[1:01:27] But, yeah, so there will be a new –
[1:01:30] Again, I'm one of those people, I need to see the results and they have to be sustainable.
[1:01:36] It can't be a one hit wonder.
[1:01:38] So while we're in, I'll share this in the new year with everyone as we can see that it's working sustainable.
[1:01:43] Then I will introduce the doctor to everyone and there'll be that offering for everyone if it's working.
[1:01:49] So, I mean, I've got a hyperbaric chamber now.
[1:01:52] Wow.
[1:01:52] Sleeping better than I ever have.
[1:01:55] Oh, wow.
[1:01:55] And that's been a game.
[1:01:57] And these things aren't cheap, but you can access them at places.
[1:02:02] So we've got the sauna now, proper rock sauna.
[1:02:04] That's so good.
[1:02:05] We've got the ice bath, hyperbaric chamber.
[1:02:07] Yeah.
[1:02:08] There's another thing Bec's looking at the moment that's got these seven different spectrums, lights, LEDs, this, that, the other that she's looking at ordering.
[1:02:16] Yeah.
[1:02:17] So we're deep.
[1:02:19] into the, and I'm in the learning phase.
[1:02:22] Like I'm not healthy at the moment.
[1:02:24] I know that I make no secrets of it.
[1:02:26] All the fat jokes in the world, but I feel much better now and I'm on my way again, but I'm doing it in a sustainable manner.
[1:02:33] I've never tried it sustainably.
[1:02:34] You know, I was an ex athlete.
[1:02:36] So, and you see a lot of excess, they get big, they get sloppy, et cetera.
[1:02:40] So, yeah, nine kilos down, we will see some Infinite Health stuff come out.
[1:02:45] Not my sandpit.
[1:02:46] I'm just the guinea pig.
[1:02:48] Right.
[1:02:49] But deep into learning, researching, et cetera.
[1:02:53] Yeah.
[1:02:53] Because it's something that's becoming very, very important to me.
[1:02:56] Yeah, absolutely.
[1:02:56] And I'm pretty keen to launch that in the new year.
[1:02:59] But I just want everyone to see that...
[1:03:00] I'm living and breathing.
[1:03:01] We won't ever throw anything in the community that isn't proven to work.
[1:03:05] That's right.
[1:03:06] That's good.
[1:03:06] You know, if I've ever had a personal trainer that I wasn't getting results with and that I didn't stick to, I've never then put that in the group.
[1:03:14] No.
[1:03:14] Whereas whenever I have and I've been able to deadlift after back or sporting, I'm like, oh, that's new.
[1:03:19] Oh, okay.
[1:03:19] I feel like, so then I'll allow that person to share their expertise in the group.
[1:03:24] Yeah.
[1:03:24] And then I'm seeing the results everyone's getting and I'm like, yeah.
[1:03:26] Infinite health is great.
[1:03:27] It is good.
[1:03:27] Pick the right people, you know.
[1:03:29] It's really good to see that on, like, your mams.
[1:03:31] Yeah.
[1:03:32] You see everyone.
[1:03:33] So great.
[1:03:34] Yeah.
[1:03:34] So, and that, you know, we lose money out of doing those things.
[1:03:38] That's the, like, we can do so much for our community, but all these subsidiary things lose money.
[1:03:43] Because if you're putting up five grand for prize money and you might collect three grand in people, and then you've got to pay those trainers and programs and...
[1:03:53] Even if you get 10 grand, then you've got to pay those trainers and programs and prize money.
[1:03:58] And then the time involved in it, they become expensive exercises.
[1:04:03] But I just call them loss leaders in helping people be better human beings.
[1:04:06] Yeah.
[1:04:06] That's good.
[1:04:06] So we will introduce a lot more.
[1:04:09] But again, with the relevant experts.
[1:04:10] And next year will be a big year.
[1:04:12] That's awesome.
[1:04:13] But yeah, so we've sort of this, it's becoming a bit of a lifestyle brand.
[1:04:16] That's nice.
[1:04:17] You know, just like, you know, all merch, all proceeds of merch.
[1:04:20] Someone wants to buy a shirt or a hat.
[1:04:22] Yeah.
[1:04:22] Any margin in that, that goes to Kmart.
[1:04:25] Yeah, nice.
[1:04:26] I think it's great.
[1:04:27] Salvos.
[1:04:27] The books, every dollar from a book ever sold from you, you've got to get the rewrite out.
[1:04:31] All of that goes to DV.
[1:04:32] Yeah.
[1:04:33] All right?
[1:04:34] So there's those things in there that they're not to make money.
[1:04:37] No.
[1:04:37] They're to make better human beings.
[1:04:39] That's right.
[1:04:39] That's exactly it.
[1:04:40] And we knew that.
[1:04:41] Like even bought our hats, got our T-shirts again.
[1:04:44] Like we do all that because we also know that a little bit extra.
[1:04:47] Yeah.
[1:04:47] Again, it's so lovely.
[1:04:48] It could be $8 here, $10 there.
[1:04:50] It all adds up quick.
[1:04:51] Yeah.
[1:04:52] That's wonderful.
[1:04:53] What specific jobs, learning and life experiences are necessary for us to become effective members of the Infinity team and help spread its message and work?
[1:05:02] Yeah, so it's very interesting, it's very awkward.
[1:05:05] We did put a policy in place, no more clients and staff.
[1:05:09] And it's because we had some really bad experiences with a couple of people.
[1:05:14] Right.
[1:05:16] You know, and some have been great, some have not been great.
[1:05:18] I've had people that are clients that have lived next door to me and neighbors and investors.
[1:05:22] And I've had people that, you know, worked in offices and I've never even met them after they become a client and sent them to staff event in different states.
[1:05:30] So we've had a real widespread of client becoming staff success.
[1:05:35] Yeah.
[1:05:36] And client becoming staff horrific.
[1:05:38] Yeah.
[1:05:39] And that's all down to the individual human being.
[1:05:42] Yeah.
[1:05:42] So that's where we have to make judgment calls.
[1:05:45] Yeah.
[1:05:45] We never want to jeopardise a client relationship that's doing so well and then it breaks because of staff because what we do is so unique.
[1:05:54] Yeah.
[1:05:55] We've gone away from hiring the skill and focused on hiring the will.
[1:06:00] Yeah.
[1:06:01] because we can train the skill because what we do and how we do it's quite unique.
[1:06:06] So we focus on the human and we focus on the will, but some skill.
[1:06:11] Yeah, of course.
[1:06:13] So that's probably the helicopter view of that.
[1:06:15] I'm not involved in anything HR related at all now because we're around 200 stuff across all of the infinity brands and businesses because there's finance, there's coaching, there's real estate, there's all these different things now.
[1:06:30] So I'm not involved in any of that anymore.
[1:06:33] Thankfully, we've got chiefs of staff and people leaders and talents and all that sort of stuff.
[1:06:38] But yeah, it's all about, I mean, I give direction, but I'm not involved in it.
[1:06:42] But it's more so, if you look at somebody like a Glenn Brown, who's an RM, he was a client for maybe three years.
[1:06:50] Yeah.
[1:06:51] And then it was the other way around.
[1:06:53] Instead of him asking us, we identified in those results that he was the perfect person for it.
[1:06:59] Yeah, absolutely.
[1:07:01] Christine, who's a wealth strategist, was a CFO.
[1:07:06] Having meetings, we identified she had the skill and the will but lived in Canberra.
[1:07:12] Yeah.
[1:07:13] Lives here, right?
[1:07:14] Okay.
[1:07:14] So it's typically like most of our clients all want to work for us.
[1:07:18] It's typically actually...
[1:07:20] the reverse yeah after several years usually sort of two three four years yep we can see that that's the perfect avatar to be what i call product of the product yes and you do live and breathe it yes then we're like and it's very random and it's like hey could we have a chat
[1:07:37] And it's just because it's got so much continuity, it wasn't a one-hit wonder.
[1:07:42] Yeah, of course.
[1:07:42] And there was no reason for them to flake off and go, oh, I don't stick to a budget anymore because I own my house.
[1:07:47] Yeah, gotcha.
[1:07:48] So the short answer to that would be we tend to tap people when we know they're near an office, can do their first year or two in office before they start doing three days here, two days home, et cetera.
[1:08:03] And then they've got all the right attributes
[1:08:08] understand how it works and then yeah we usually tap them yeah um because we do that before we go to market but we did they did put a policy in place and saying no more for now just because we had a really rough job and then it cuts deeper when these people are your client and then become your friend yeah and then something goes wrong it cuts real deep and yeah it hurts the relationship
[1:08:34] I would say just keep doing what you're doing and right time, right place.
[1:08:38] Things will fall into place.
[1:08:40] Yeah.
[1:08:41] Awesome.
[1:08:41] I still believe.
[1:08:43] I'm going to work for Trinity one day.
[1:08:45] I have no doubt.
[1:08:47] It won't be maybe or if.
[1:08:51] It'll be when.
[1:08:52] Yeah.
[1:08:53] Yeah.
[1:08:54] Awesome.
[1:08:55] Appreciate that answer.
[1:08:56] Thank you.
[1:08:56] Appreciate it.
[1:08:57] Thank you.
[1:08:57] We're going to do a part two.
[1:08:59] Thank you for being so open and honest and raw and so positive.
[1:09:03] Thank you.
[1:09:03] Thank you.

[1:09:13] And the Christmas party.
[1:09:14] And the Christmas party.
[1:09:15] And the Kmart shop.
[1:09:16] Oh, the Kmart.
[1:09:17] We can't wait.
