Elly and Taryn work at Infinity Group and used the same strategy as other clients to buy 3 properties. Elly was a teacher paying $700 a week in rent on her own, and driving a novated lease car that cost her more than it saved. Taryn was 27 and renting, sure that buying alone was years away. Both used the same playbook Infinity clients follow. Elly sold her car, did Uber Eats at night, and 2 years on, owns 2 investment properties which have gone up $200,000 in equity. Taryn's parents went guarantor on her first place, and she's already paid off $10,000 since January. Want to improve your own financial future? ## Transcript

[0:00] This is a bit of a special episode because we have two of our incredible staff members.
[0:04] Very odd to be on the opposite side of it.
[0:06] I was pretty much just working to pay rent.
[0:09] Because you paid a lot on your own.
[0:10] It was like $700 a week.
[0:12] $700 a week.
[0:13] I sold my car.
[0:14] And you were also doing Uber Eats too.
[0:16] I was 27 and was just living my best life.
[0:19] I was like, I'll wait till I get a partner later in life.
[0:22] And now you're a homeowner.
[0:23] I'm a homeowner.
[0:24] I've already paid 10k off since the end of January.
[0:27] Managed to secure two investment properties in two years, which just blows my mind.
[0:32] So not only has it gone up $200,000, you've also paid off $120,000.
[0:37] Yep.
[0:38] That is wild.
[0:39] As soon as you get that structure right, everything just happens so quickly.
[0:43] So you both watched the masterclass.
[0:44] Talk me through some of the biggest takeaways.
[0:47] I would say the biggest one is probably...
[0:53] Welcome back to the Money Mentor Podcast.
[0:55] I'm your host and money mentor, Rachel Howlett.
[0:58] We have another episode of Changing Lives Financially.
[1:01] This is a bit of a special episode because we have two of our incredible staff members who are products of the product to talk with us today.
[1:09] We have Ellie and Taryn.
[1:10] How are we girls?
[1:12] Hey, Rach.
[1:12] How are you going?
[1:13] I am fabulous.
[1:14] What about you guys?
[1:16] I'm good.
[1:16] It's very odd to be on the opposite side of it.
[1:19] Because you're always organizing these for our clients.
[1:21] Yes.
[1:22] But now we're here to talk all about you guys.
[1:23] So I want to talk about before infinity, where you guys were before you actually worked with us, where you're at financially, in life, what you were doing career-wise.
[1:33] So we'll start with you, Ellie.
[1:34] So before I came to Infinity, I was a primary school teacher for nine years.
[1:39] My heart just wasn't in that job anymore.
[1:41] It changed too much.
[1:42] So I needed a change in my life.
[1:45] Came out of a relationship.
[1:46] So I moved from Sydney to the Gold Coast.
[1:48] For a fresh start.
[1:49] Yeah, fresh start.
[1:51] Back with my family and decided that I was going to pursue a career in something entirely different that wasn't teaching.
[1:59] So did you know what?
[2:01] Yeah, I didn't know what I just knew it wasn't going to be teaching.
[2:05] And yeah, started working with infinity in October 2023.
[2:10] How'd you find us?
[2:12] I actually found infinity through a friend that I trained at the gym with.
[2:18] And he let me know that Infinity was a pretty exciting place to work, very different.
[2:25] So I just thought, why not?
[2:27] I didn't know what I wanted to do, but I was happy to throw my hat in the ring and try something out.
[2:32] Yeah.
[2:33] Yeah, started with Infinity in 2023 and, yeah, became a relationship manager when I first started here.
[2:41] And, yeah, it was very different, I guess, compared to teaching instead of looking after children and guiding them.
[2:49] Instead I was guiding adults and, yeah, giving them that structure and support, I guess, in the same way that a teacher would.
[2:57] Yeah.
[2:57] Do you feel like, though, that your career as a teacher helped you in that role as a relationship manager?
[3:02] Yeah.
[3:02] Yeah, definitely.
[3:03] I think having those communication skills, being able to sort of like nurture and guide someone carried through to that.
[3:11] And probably also to distill things down as well, to take like complicated education around the finance piece, which, you know, we work in it every day now.
[3:18] So it's easy for us, but it's not easy for everyone else.
[3:20] So you have that ability to distill that, that information down for clients, I would say.
[3:25] Yeah.
[3:25] Yeah, absolutely.
[3:26] Absolutely.
[3:27] Awesome.
[3:27] Thanks Ellie.
[3:28] What about you Taryn?
[3:29] Yeah, so I didn't come from a finance background at all.
[3:31] I was actually redundant at the time that I found Infinity, which I'd kind of, my mindset with money was I'd always kind of had it, but I'd never thought buying property was like, it was going to be miles away.
[3:43] So I'm glad that I did have some money to sit on because I was made redundant for about three months or something like that.
[3:48] And it was Mark, your husband, who I knew, had introduced me to you and you were talking to me about relationship manager roles, which I knew I'd always come from customer service.
[3:57] I knew I wanted to work in people.
[3:59] And then when you were telling me about this relationship manager role, I was like, it sounds way too good to be true.
[4:03] Like just my job is to interact with people and help people like pay their mortgage down.
[4:08] I was like, what's the catch?
[4:09] Like crazy, but...
[4:11] Yeah, that was my start.
[4:12] Yes, because you both worked as relationship managers when you first came in.
[4:15] Yeah.
[4:16] And as you said, you worked in customer service, so it's a pretty good transition into it.
[4:19] Because as soon as I heard about you, what you did, I was like, she'd be perfect in that role.
[4:25] So how long did you both work as relationship managers before we moved on to other roles within the business?
[4:32] I think it was around four months maybe.
[4:34] You moved very quick.
[4:36] I did.
[4:36] Wow, I didn't know it was that quick.
[4:38] Yeah, so it was about four months.
[4:41] I think maybe start of 2024, yeah, moved into the masterclass space, so helping onboard our clients and get them set up to attend that masterclass after they've watched the webinar.
[4:56] Yeah.
[4:57] So moved into that space with that team and then.
[5:01] You worked very closely with Louis.
[5:03] Yes, very closely with Louis.
[5:06] I think Louis actually came back shortly after I started from one of his hiatus.
[5:12] But yeah, worked very closely with Louis in that space.
[5:15] But yeah, I've been doing this current role now for.
[5:19] Yeah, what would that be?
[5:20] About two and a half years now.
[5:22] Because you're nearly three years.
[5:23] Yeah.
[5:23] Yeah.
[5:23] And what about you, Taryn?
[5:25] I think I was just under a year.
[5:26] I think it was about 10 months in.
[5:28] And then G approached me.
[5:30] To be fair, the day he approached me, I thought I was getting fired because he called me into his office so dramatically and I was like, oh, what have I said?
[5:36] I remember you messaging me being like, I've just shit my pants.
[5:39] Yeah.
[5:39] I was like, everyone knows I write those jokes that are like very on the edge of HR, but like, is that even a thing here?
[5:44] Our clients would definitely know that.
[5:46] Um, but him and Beck and a couple of others were in the room and introduced a marketing opportunity.
[5:51] And I was like, I don't have a background in marketing.
[5:53] And they're like, we don't care.
[5:54] You'll be great.
[5:55] Your vibes are there.
[5:56] We'll teach you everything you need to know.
[5:57] Um.
[5:59] So that was about 10 months after being an RM.
[6:02] I moved into that space and then moved into the Digiting Marketing Lead role I'm in now in about October last year.
[6:07] And give us a day in the life of what you do.
[6:10] We'll go with you, Taryn, and then Ellie next.
[6:12] Oof.
[6:13] You know when people say like no two days are the same?
[6:15] Yeah.
[6:15] When you work here, you're like, no, we take that and that's literally what it's like here.
[6:21] Well, I always run all the social media, so if G wakes up and decides that he wants to film something, we're very up to date with what goes on in the market.
[6:28] I work very closely with you and your reels that you get out.
[6:31] Brains behind the Leo.
[6:32] Yes.
[6:33] Reel that still gets people talking.
[6:34] All the funny stuff reels.
[6:35] People literally see me in the office and like, oh, here she comes.
[6:38] Here the marketing girl comes.
[6:39] Yeah, she comes.
[6:40] The camera pops out.
[6:41] I'm like hiding.
[6:41] I'm busy.
[6:42] Nick Kinch, he's the worst.
[6:44] I'll go over to him and he's like faking a phone call.
[6:46] I was like, I can see your lock screen.
[6:48] But yeah, no two days are the same.
[6:50] It's just thinking of how we can get our message out to people in a different way.
[6:56] And yeah, dealing with all the fun people online.
[6:58] Yeah.
[6:59] I love what you just said, but the key part of your role is to get our message out there.
[7:03] Why are you so passionate about that?
[7:05] Well, I just think people aren't educated enough.
[7:07] Like I definitely wasn't.
[7:08] No one is.
[7:09] It's the first thing like when we interview all of our clients, it's the first thing they say is that I just didn't know.
[7:13] Like they wanted to start things further but it's like you have no idea.
[7:18] So when I'm in marketing, I'm trying to target young people as well as single people.
[7:23] older people, everyone just having the message that can relate to everyone because the education is just not there.
[7:28] Yeah.
[7:28] Especially because you didn't have it too.
[7:30] No, not at all.
[7:31] So now you get to play a part in being able to deliver that to people who also can relate to not having received that education.
[7:37] Yeah.
[7:37] And I suppose you could probably relate to that a bit too, because you're also on the end of where people have watched the webinar.
[7:43] Now they're deciding, should I do the masterclass?
[7:46] Is it for me?
[7:47] And you can also deliver that message in a slightly different way.
[7:49] Yeah.
[7:50] Yeah.
[7:50] Right.
[7:50] So talk me through a day in the life of what you do.
[7:54] So I'm one of probably the first contacts that someone will have after they've watched that webinar and they've signed up to attend that masterclass with us.
[8:03] So completing a welcome call, sort of running them through that process in the lead up to the masterclass and what, you know, what to expect, what details that we need.
[8:12] That way the team can do a bit of a review beforehand.
[8:15] Yep.
[8:16] Um, get them ready for some live coaching with me and G. Yeah.
[8:19] Yeah.
[8:19] Um, getting them excited for that masterclass.
[8:22] And then the other side of things also helping our clients book into those real estate mastery events.
[8:28] So, um, reaching out to our clients, getting them, um, booked in, getting all their flights, their accommodation booked, their transfers, um, ready to fly them up to the Gold Coast for that weekend to come in and meet all of the family and the community and all of our
[8:46] Yeah.
[8:46] G, yeah.
[8:47] Yeah.
[8:47] She's also, I think, like the Google ChatGT of the office.
[8:50] If anyone has a question about anything, everyone goes to Ellie, even if it's not in her role.
[8:54] I sit there and listen to it and I'm like, headphones on, not listening, but everyone goes to Ellie for everything.
[8:59] And our resident strong woman, she'll flip us all across the table in the room.
[9:03] So don't piss her off.
[9:06] So very exciting what you both get to do in your roles.
[9:09] I love that both of you moved into your roles because Beck and G saw a particular skill and a particular will in both of you that neither of you would have probably expected when it happened, which is something that I just love about Beck and G and working at Infinity myself because they just go, they don't know it yet, but they'd be fantastic at this.
[9:27] And then they move us into the roles, which I can relate to because that's what's happened with me in doing masterclasses.
[9:33] Never in a million years would I think I'd be running masterclasses with G, but it's all because they saw something in me.
[9:38] So I just think that's something really special about infinity.
[9:41] So let's talk a little bit more about your personal side of things and where you're at financially.
[9:45] We did go into that a little bit before, but let's go a bit deeper into it and where you guys were personally.
[9:50] Cause I know a lot of the clients can relate cause they've all started somewhere as well.
[9:55] And then what infinity has been able to help you both achieve.
[9:58] So Ellie, we'll start with you.
[9:59] So before I came to Infinity or before I knew, I guess, the strategies and what we did here, I...
[10:09] I had an old dog, an investment property with my ex.
[10:14] That was just sort of there in the background.
[10:18] Didn't really probably have it structured correctly.
[10:23] And what else?
[10:24] I had a novated lease on a car.
[10:27] I had that while I was a teacher.
[10:29] Thought I was, you know, saving money.
[10:31] Saving tax.
[10:32] Saving tax.
[10:33] It was probably costing me more in the long run.
[10:36] Yeah.
[10:38] And, yeah, just not really any sort of, like, motivation or ambition.
[10:41] I pretty much just spent what I earned.
[10:46] You know, if I saw something that I liked, I bought it.
[10:49] Yeah, just no sort of...
[10:52] Yeah.
[10:52] No budget.
[10:53] No budget.
[10:53] No budget.
[10:54] No idea.
[10:54] No budget.
[10:56] Yeah.
[10:56] And so when I moved back from Sydney up to the Gold Coast and that relationship ended, sold that property with my ex and yeah, came away with some funds from that settlement there.
[11:11] But it wasn't quite enough to then get myself back into the market.
[11:15] So I was renting at the time,
[11:18] Um, that was sort of when I first started with infinity and I was pretty much just working to pay rent and not sort of paid a lot on your own.
[11:26] Yeah.
[11:26] Yeah.
[11:26] It was like 700 a week.
[11:27] I think 700 a week rent on my own.
[11:30] I was paying.
[11:31] So it was pretty much, yeah, just working to pay rent and trying to save as much as I could, but it felt like it wasn't a lot at the time.
[11:39] And, yeah, when I finished teaching, I'd gotten rid of the Novated lease, but I still had, yeah, I had to take out a personal loan for that car.
[11:49] To get you out of the Novated lease.
[11:51] To get me out of that Novated lease.
[11:53] Wow.
[11:54] Yeah.
[11:54] So I had that personal loan there.
[11:58] And, yeah, I ended up...
[12:01] Having a chat with you, Rach, and you ran my borrowing capacity, I sort of I wanted to get into the market and needed to know what.
[12:08] You needed a plan.
[12:09] Needed a plan.
[12:09] I needed to know what I could spend and how I could get myself into the market, you know, comfortably and what I could start with.
[12:19] And, um, yeah, I think we were just short.
[12:22] So I, um, you advised me that if I could sell my car, then that would sort of cover a bit of the shortfall.
[12:29] So I sold my car and, um, and you were also doing Uber Eats too.
[12:34] I was, I took, I didn't even know that.
[12:36] Yeah.
[12:36] I took up a second.
[12:37] So I'm telling her to get rid of a car that she's using to generate income.
[12:40] And I'm like, house Uber Eats driver.
[12:43] Yeah.
[12:43] So I started, yeah, I started Uber driving in the evening.
[12:47] So I worked at Infinity nine till five.
[12:50] And then between my training at the gym, I was then doing Uber driving mostly Friday and Saturday nights.
[12:58] And I did that for about three months so I could save up some additional funds to go towards that deposit.
[13:05] Yeah.
[13:05] And then once I had those funds there, then I could sell that car.
[13:09] Yep.
[13:10] And then my granddad, who's 90 now, was getting rid of a car that he no longer needed.
[13:16] So it's, I think it's about 23 years old.
[13:19] It's really old, but I really don't drive often.
[13:22] So it gets me from A to B.
[13:23] But yeah, that ended up getting me over the line to then get into my first property.
[13:29] So that was about two years ago now.
[13:31] And we've done really well on that property.
[13:33] So the sale of that car is well worth it.
[13:36] Yes, absolutely.
[13:37] So I think the last valuation came back, I think I've probably made, I think it would be close to $220,000 that that's gone up.
[13:47] Yeah, holy.
[13:48] Yeah, so in the space of two years up here on the Gold Coast.
[13:50] And how much did we sell the car for?
[13:53] I think it was $25,000, $27,000.
[13:54] So, yeah.
[13:57] So we made a disciplined choice.
[13:58] I don't want to, I don't like the word sacrifice.
[13:59] I'm going to say disciplined choice that ended up making you $200,000.
[14:03] Yeah.
[14:04] Yeah.
[14:04] Yeah.
[14:04] Isn't that crazy when you put it into perspective like that?
[14:07] Yeah.
[14:08] And is it worth driving granddad's old car?
[14:10] Yeah.
[14:11] I mean, I, I don't really drive often.
[14:14] I get the bus to work.
[14:15] So that's really good for my food, fuel and fun.
[14:17] Yeah.
[14:17] I think it's 50 cents.
[14:19] per trip.
[14:20] So I hardly put any petrol in my car.
[14:22] So that also lowers my budget as well.
[14:24] I really only drive the car to get groceries once a week or go to the gym three times.
[14:29] So it just, it sits there really.
[14:30] So it's a no brainer.
[14:31] Big boot for your grocery bill.
[14:33] So yes.
[14:34] Yes.
[14:34] And the big gym bag.
[14:35] Your partner's grocery bill.
[14:37] Yeah.
[14:37] Yeah.
[14:38] Yeah.
[14:38] Yeah.
[14:39] And what else have you been able to achieve since you've built some equity in that home?
[14:43] Yep.
[14:43] So since I've built some equity in that property, managed to secure two investment properties in two years, which just blows my mind that it's as soon as you get that structure right and you get everything in place, everything just happens so quickly.
[14:59] If this story has inspired you to take control of your financial future, your journey starts with our free educational webinar.
[15:06] Click the link below this video to get started today.
[15:09] So two investment properties up here on the Gold Coast.
[15:12] And also paying down the home loan as well.
[15:14] So you're doing that quite rapidly too.
[15:16] How much have you paid off since you bought it?
[15:18] Since I've bought it, I think it's about $110,000 that I've paid off.
[15:23] So not only has it gone up $200,000, you've also paid off $120,000.
[15:26] Yep.
[15:29] That is wild.
[15:30] Yeah.
[15:31] And you were doing all this on your own for a while too?
[15:33] I was.
[15:34] So initially all on my own and then I met my amazing partner and, yeah, he's come on board with me and just he wants to achieve everything the same, like,
[15:48] you know, the same as me.
[15:50] So we've joined finances as well.
[15:52] So we, he came from a, I guess like a divorce as well.
[15:59] He had a lot of trust issues there with money.
[16:02] I think he'd been badly burnt from his partner as well.
[16:05] So it was a big, I guess, step for him to trust me and trust what,
[16:11] You know, we teach here and what I do every day and sort of join forces and follow that dream with me.
[16:18] So we share finances now, our shared budget.
[16:22] Yeah.
[16:23] Our $600 a week FFF with $400 going to food.
[16:27] Yeah, $600 a week, which is a lot.
[16:29] But, yeah, we probably spend, yeah, between $400 and $450 a week just on food, both being competitive, strong man, strong woman competitors.
[16:40] For context, yeah, he's 160 kilos and close to seven foot.
[16:45] Seven foot, yeah.
[16:45] So he eats a lot of food.
[16:48] But, yeah, $600 a week and it's very comfortable for us.
[16:52] We could probably trim it down a little bit.
[16:55] But I think the progress that we've made on that budget is already, you know, amazing.
[17:03] Yeah, it's absolutely incredible.
[17:04] And a couple of investment properties as well.
[17:06] You're both on board with the same vision and the same passion.
[17:09] Didn't you both just get titled Queensland's Strongest Man and Woman?
[17:13] We did.
[17:14] Yes, you did.
[17:15] That snaps fairly.
[17:16] That snaps fairly.
[17:18] Yeah.
[17:18] So just competed this weekend and that was, um, the first year that we've both won that title together.
[17:25] So that was a really special moment.
[17:27] That's incredible.
[17:27] So it's like when good things start to happen and you dedicate yourself, it just, it's like roll on effect.
[17:32] Yeah.
[17:33] And I guess it's, it's like who you surround yourself with.
[17:36] Um, and you know, if, um, if, um, if,
[17:39] Yeah.
[17:39] Where you want to go and you surround yourself with that positivity and like-minded people, you know, it rubs off on you and yeah.
[17:45] Yeah.
[17:46] Oh, you should be so proud of yourself.
[17:47] I'm proud of both of you doing this together.
[17:50] Let's go over to you, Taryn, and talk about where you were at financially with everything, where your mindset was at and what Infinity has been able to help you achieve.
[17:58] Yeah, so my money mindset, I always knew property was something that I wanted.
[18:03] I'm so grateful for my parents.
[18:05] They are amazing.
[18:06] They, from when I was 18, younger then, have drilled into me good money habits to my sister and I.
[18:13] So...
[18:14] Along the years I have had savings and then I've kind of just like gone up and down.
[18:18] Like I had savings and I purchased a car, which I thought was a good thing.
[18:23] In cash, yeah.
[18:24] 20K, mind you.
[18:25] Holy.
[18:26] But at the time like you think that's the right thing to do.
[18:28] Yeah.
[18:30] And then would work, work, work.
[18:31] Felt like I was like hustling, saving.
[18:34] But then what you would see on the media is that like there's no chance, like me being in my 20s and single, I'm going to be able to get a property.
[18:40] Yeah.
[18:40] Yeah.
[18:40] My parents are amazing.
[18:41] They're always like, just keep, even just a little bit, keep saving something.
[18:44] So I always was saving and then, yeah, made redundant.
[18:50] I was, when I started at Infinity, I was renting.
[18:53] I was 27 and was just living my best life.
[18:56] Like I think I got sick of trying to save and just thought, you know what?
[19:00] Feeling like you were getting nervous.
[19:01] nowhere yeah totally like I was like I'll wait till I get a partner later in life like it's coming um I want to live while I'm like in my 20s as well so the going out the festivals the holidays like living with my best friends as well which was really fun and it was great yeah but yeah the minute I started working here I was like oh my god it's like I like was annoyed at myself like I was like if I had just kept locking in I would already have the deposit but I do also believe that everything happens for a reason so yeah
[19:27] Yeah.
[19:28] Once I started, I actually, my first week at Infinity was the week of a masterclass and I had festival tickets that weekend.
[19:35] Oh, I remember this.
[19:36] Yeah.
[19:36] Yep.
[19:37] Sold them thinking, you know what?
[19:39] New year, new me because it was the start of the year.
[19:40] So locked in, watched the masterclass and that was just mind blowing.
[19:44] So I didn't know too much about property, only from my parents who had...
[19:48] investment properties themselves.
[19:50] And I just remember thinking, oh, my God, like it's not too far away for someone like me, for anyone.
[19:55] I called mum after and I was like, oh, my God, offset, fuck it off.
[19:58] Like I was, yeah, just mind blown.
[20:00] And she like my parents were both like mind blown as well.
[20:04] They weren't.
[20:04] So they watched it too?
[20:06] Yeah.
[20:06] Not the masterclass, but they jumped on and watched the webinar after because they just couldn't believe what I was saying.
[20:10] Like, they were like, it can't be that easy.
[20:12] I'm like, well, it is.
[20:12] It's really hard to explain to people, isn't it?
[20:14] It is.
[20:14] How simple it is.
[20:15] Yeah.
[20:16] I knew that I was screwing it up while I was trying to explain.
[20:18] I'm like, there's this other thing.
[20:19] And she's like trying to meet me halfway and I was just not having it.
[20:22] But yeah, she jumped on board.
[20:24] And then immediately I was like, I need to lock in here.
[20:27] Like something needs to change.
[20:30] And our rapid repay structure, which is so easy yet not taught anywhere, I set that up as a savings account.
[20:37] A savings plan?
[20:38] Yeah, so I used my savings account as a redraw, set up an FFF.
[20:44] I got rid of a lot of my subscriptions and then was trying to bum off mum for any other ones that I had.
[20:49] I think literally the only one I was paying for.
[20:50] Asking her to log in for everything.
[20:51] Yeah, beyond those family plans, don't you dare cut me off.
[20:53] Yeah.
[20:54] I think the only one I was paying for was like Spotify at the time.
[20:56] Yeah.
[20:57] And I was just like, I know I can do this.
[20:58] Mum could have sprung for that too.
[21:00] There's a family plan on Spotify.
[21:02] Come on now.
[21:03] Why'd you give birth to me if you hate me?
[21:05] No, but that's, I, my friends were watching me and they were just like, I did budgets for them.
[21:10] Like they wanted to jump in on it.
[21:12] Property is not really their thing, but they were still like, okay, like looking at how much I was saving.
[21:18] But yeah, I just had an ultimate lock in for about two years where I was like, I was like,
[21:22] Didn't go out as much.
[21:23] I knew what I wanted and I knew now I was in the best place possible to get it.
[21:27] So it was like it's fucking go time.
[21:29] Ellie said where you're surrounded by those people, it rubs off on you and you want to be as good as them or better.
[21:34] Totally.
[21:34] And like starting in an RM role is amazing because, one, you learn the ins and outs of infinity.
[21:39] But, two, you're talking to people daily like are these clients the O'Sullivans and they're...
[21:44] They were like my RM, like we had a goal all together that we wanted to get and so it makes it even better and like closer to your clients because it's like we're all in the same boat.
[21:52] I'm making you stick to a budget but I also am too.
[21:55] Yeah, and you want to be held accountable as well.
[21:57] Yeah.
[21:57] Yeah.
[21:57] So you'd report back to them of.
[21:59] How you were going?
[21:59] Totally.
[22:00] Very scary.
[22:02] But, yeah, that's another thing that when this did happen for me and I was able to purchase my first property.
[22:06] Yeah, talk us through that.
[22:07] Yeah.
[22:09] So halfway through last year I knew I was getting close.
[22:13] So I didn't want to sign a new lease for another rental and my parents, as amazing as they are, let me and my two best friends live with them.
[22:20] So it was fun.
[22:23] Whilst I was on the house hunting journey which was, you ask anyone in this office, I was like going, oh,
[22:28] oh my God, I found the one.
[22:29] And then the next day, like, don't talk to me.
[22:30] Yeah.
[22:30] It's not meant to be.
[22:31] Yeah.
[22:32] And when someone goes, oh, it wasn't meant to be, like, I know that.
[22:34] But at the time, you're like, it's hard to hear.
[22:37] Yeah.
[22:38] So it took about six months for me to find somewhere.
[22:41] And I finally found, like, now everything does happen for a reason.
[22:44] Because, like, where I live now.
[22:45] Perfect.
[22:46] Yeah.
[22:46] Amazing.
[22:46] I live there with my best friend.
[22:48] And I'm, like, yeah, just still even now, just so grateful that when I come home, I'm, like, holy, like, I was actually able to do this.
[22:54] It's amazing.
[22:55] Yeah.
[22:56] More able to structure it properly for you, help you with the negotiations, the contracts, everything.
[23:01] Yeah.
[23:01] Ashlyn and Britt, they were amazing throughout that whole thing.
[23:04] A little shout out.
[23:05] There we go.
[23:05] Yeah, a little shout out.
[23:06] She's the best.
[23:07] No, but they were.
[23:07] And it was like, I was like, and then my parents went going to all for me as well.
[23:11] So it was like a whole, it wasn't just an investment property.
[23:13] I know there was a lot of work that went into the background.
[23:16] Yeah.
[23:16] people want that like when people knew I was looking for a property people would stop me all the time and ask me how it's going like people would generally and then when I did get it it was like it was one thing to tell all these clients that I got it but then these guys like we're all on the journey together when someone like Lockie's just moved in somewhere everyone's like on the journey together that's really cute yeah.
[23:34] Yeah, everyone's trying to help each other get into the next property or their first property.
[23:39] Yeah.
[23:40] And so you said before you always felt like the property journey was not going to happen.
[23:44] You needed to have a partner.
[23:45] Yeah.
[23:45] Did you ever know about the options of things like the guarantor option until you came here?
[23:50] Not to any knowledge.
[23:51] I knew that people could go on a title together, but nothing to do with guarantor.
[23:56] But we saved that for you because you're on the title on your own.
[23:58] Yes.
[23:58] It's just mum and dad have just helped with a little portion of equity for you.
[24:02] Yes.
[24:02] Yeah.
[24:03] But, yeah, no, I had no idea about it.
[24:05] No idea.
[24:05] So it's like when I first started, I was like, oh.
[24:07] Oh, if I had just not gone out and spent so much money, I'd already have it there.
[24:11] And now you're a homeowner.
[24:12] I'm a homeowner.
[24:13] Isn't that so exciting?
[24:14] It is so exciting.
[24:16] And I've already paid 10K off since the end of January.
[24:20] That's crazy.
[24:21] So it's like six months.
[24:22] Which is more than what some people are doing in an entire year.
[24:24] If you remember that.
[24:25] Rapid replaying still.
[24:26] Yeah.
[24:27] So you both watched the masterclass as well.
[24:28] That's part of our onboarding experience for all staff.
[24:31] They must watch the webinar and the masterclass.
[24:33] Talk me through some of the biggest takeaways in that masterclass.
[24:37] Because this is something completely new for both of you coming on board.
[24:40] So I want to know exactly what those biggest takeaways were for you in that two days.
[24:45] I would say the biggest one is probably when our clients put in or they work out what their daily interest is that they're paying.
[24:53] I think that's probably the point where you see like that penny drop and that realisation where they're like, shit, this is how much this is costing us.
[25:04] each day that's what we're being charged in interest like yeah and at that point I think everyone's just like well something's got to change because if you're thinking about what you're paying every single day like that's just yeah it's yeah game changer so I think that's probably yeah the biggest part for me
[25:22] Yeah, daily interest for sure.
[25:24] And then that's the one thing I was on the phone to mum about, like, you've got no idea.
[25:27] That's the other thing I was trying to say.
[25:29] Exactly.
[25:31] For me it was explaining that everyone has savings for different things.
[25:37] So here's the bills thing, here's the holiday account, here's all these.
[25:41] Because that's what, like when...
[25:43] you're not educated, that's what you think is you're like the best with money is you've got all these funds, which is what I was doing.
[25:49] I was working out what all my bills were and then putting aside that money rather than just getting rid of all of it.
[25:53] Like I was saving money.
[25:56] way less than what I was putting in my spending account and needs to be the other way around.
[26:00] Like, and that was the light bulb for me was you work out what you need to survive on and then get rid of everything else.
[26:06] Put it away, out of sight, out of mind.
[26:07] But I was used to doing it the other way around.
[26:09] Yeah.
[26:10] Was it a big change for you going into our way of doing things?
[26:14] It was, but it was just so easy.
[26:15] It was just annoying that I'm like, what do you mean?
[26:17] How do you not think to do this?
[26:19] You just think that putting just even a little bit away, you're chipping, like it's getting there.
[26:24] But when I worked out...
[26:25] exactly what ZG says, get your statements out, highlight it all.
[26:29] I was like, this is revolting.
[26:31] It's so bad.
[26:33] I cut so many subscriptions and stuff.
[26:34] But for me, the big thing was you should be saving a lot more than what you're spending every day.
[26:38] Yeah.
[26:39] Yeah, especially if you've got goals and everything.
[26:41] Yeah.
[26:42] And what about for you?
[26:42] Was it a big change budgeting-wise?
[26:45] I used to worry about, so when I'd have a bill come in, before I had everything set up and structured correctly, if I had a bill coming in, I'd be, you know, worried about it sort of calculating, when am I going to get paid next?
[26:58] Am I going to have enough to sort of get me through, keep paying for groceries?
[27:02] And then, you know, I'd have to like redraw some money out to pay for the bill.
[27:07] Whereas once everything's set up and structured...
[27:10] Like you don't even think about it.
[27:12] Everything just happens in the background.
[27:14] Everything goes about its way and you don't even need to think about it.
[27:17] So I don't even, you know, worry.
[27:19] I'm not thinking, is it payday soon?
[27:22] Like you just don't think about it when everything's set up.
[27:25] Like we've got our budget, our food, fuel and funds sitting in there.
[27:29] And that's really the only thing that.
[27:31] We look at everything else just ticks away.
[27:33] All the bills come out, direct debit.
[27:35] You know, they're covered.
[27:36] They're sorted.
[27:37] Yeah.
[27:37] I always know that there's going to be enough money in there to cover everything.
[27:40] So I'm not stressed about money anymore.
[27:42] And that just, it takes away so much weight.
[27:45] Yeah.
[27:46] And you know, if there's ever an emergency or like one of those unforeseen expenses, you know, you're good.
[27:50] Yeah.
[27:50] I think that's one of the coolest things with what we do is we take away that stress that if an emergency happens, we're good.
[27:56] We don't have to reach for credit cards or after pay or zip pay to cover it.
[28:00] yeah yeah what g says as well like there's no like unexpected expenses aren't unexpected like something's always going to happen yeah yeah yeah we're always going to have a medical thing or something will pop up like i know you had a car issue at one point as well which time don't ever buy a mitsubishi anyone don't sue us
[28:22] But those are the things that can happen, right?
[28:24] And we want to know that our clients are going to be sorted.
[28:26] Like they've got that peace of mind.
[28:28] They can sleep at night to know that it's going to be sorted.
[28:31] And you guys are also seeing the effects of that as well.
[28:33] Yeah.
[28:34] So working with clients when you're in your relationship manager role, I mean, we still do indirectly.
[28:39] But talk me through some of your favorite moments that you've had with some of your clients.
[28:43] I had clients who, because one thing as a relationship manager that you can start seeing to happen is these clients are budgeting their asses off, they're saving a lot of money and they're also seeing that money rise.
[28:55] So kind of they get to a point where they want to treat themselves, which fair enough, like if you're grinding and living off noodles, doing what you need to do to hit your goals, but seeing that money sitting there can be like really appetizing to look at.
[29:06] Yeah.
[29:06] I had clients who then told me they wanted to go to Vegas.
[29:08] I was like, that's fucking crazy.
[29:12] And then I said, I understand the need to want to like treat yourself and go on a holiday and something like that.
[29:16] But Vegas, like, come on.
[29:19] So I remember putting, I told them to cost it up to me.
[29:23] And they did.
[29:24] I put it in there out of debt and just showed them the delay of what that was going to do.
[29:29] what hit it would have on their goal.
[29:31] And it was a lot.
[29:31] You wouldn't think it's a lot because the money's like just there, but it put on like almost like a year I think.
[29:36] Yeah.
[29:36] And then that straight away.
[29:37] And then I went to them with a cheeky little P&O cruise, which was way cheaper.
[29:43] Look at that, our RMs even being travel agents.
[29:45] Yeah.
[29:46] finding them better opportunities yeah but that was yeah probably the standout for me is having the balance of you are working hard and you are doing really well it's keeping them encouraged to keep going without wanting to like blow it all to treat themselves yeah that's a good one having a balance so just you can do it but just not that extravagant yeah or like maybe we do that later
[30:06] I talk about that a lot when I do like MAMs, for example, where I'm like you can treat yourself and we can have the big goals.
[30:12] Like Casey and Lenny had the really big goals, but we've got to time it at the perfect time for your circumstances, right?
[30:19] So it doesn't have a big hit on whatever goals we're working on at the time, like an investment property, for example.
[30:25] So it's about just timing that in the process, whether it's, you know, year three, year five, you know, and then we find the little things in between.
[30:33] So I really like that one.
[30:34] What about you, Ellie?
[30:36] I think probably two things.
[30:38] I think when they first come along to their first real estate mastery event and perhaps they're not expecting to be able to purchase straight away and they go in for their, you know, their meeting with their wealth strategist and they come out and perhaps they've bought multiple investment properties and just like –
[30:57] the shock, you know, they can't believe that they were able to come away with one, let alone multiple investment properties.
[31:04] Um, so quickly as well, since coming on board.
[31:07] Um, but also I think when, like, I'm a visual person.
[31:12] So I think a lot of our clients sort of take it as a bit of a challenge and create, you know, like a visual representation of how quickly they're going to get to their goal.
[31:20] Maybe they make like a tracker and,
[31:22] A lot of them make vision boards.
[31:23] I love that they do.
[31:24] Yeah, vision boards.
[31:25] Yeah.
[31:26] And just, you know, each month they get to sort of like colour in on the graph or sort of shave off part of what they've paid down.
[31:33] I think that, yeah, that concept and that visual representation is really exciting.
[31:38] Yeah, that's a good one.
[31:39] Yeah.
[31:40] And what about like when you were deciding to come and work at Infinity, you had your interviews and you were learning who we were, you're seeing us on social media.
[31:47] Was there anything that stood out that made you just go, fuck, I want to work at this place?
[31:51] Because we're pretty rogue, we're not the most...
[31:53] Yeah, well, that's personally what I love.
[31:55] If anyone knows me, rogue is like one of the first words that you'd use to describe me.
[32:00] In my interview, it was that.
[32:02] It was you can tell that everyone is themselves.
[32:04] So there's no, and that's why I love being an RM.
[32:06] We're not having this fake customer service conversation.
[32:09] It's so genuine.
[32:10] Like I'm FaceTiming people, texting them.
[32:12] It's the surrealness of like there's real human connection going on.
[32:15] You're always sending each other like GIFs.
[32:17] Oh, 100%.
[32:17] Photos, videos, FaceTime.
[32:19] Funny stuff, funny memes.
[32:21] All the time because no one wants to like finance is like, ugh, like when you think of it.
[32:24] Yeah.
[32:25] So it's like it's fun that you don't have to dull your personality.
[32:27] You're like, you know, bantering back and forth with your clients.
[32:32] And then the second part to that was the job itself being, the way it was presented was like you're helping these people.
[32:38] Your job is like you're their personal trainer for their finances.
[32:41] Yes, for their finances.
[32:42] They've got all these goals.
[32:43] We're helping them pay off their home loan.
[32:45] It was like, what's going on?
[32:46] What's the catch?
[32:47] What is the catch to working here?
[32:48] Like this job seems too good.
[32:49] And it's like, no, no, they went through the whole job description, listed all the clients and everything.
[32:54] And it just felt too good to be true at the time.
[32:56] And that's what I remember.
[32:57] I was thinking, I'm like, this is a scam.
[33:00] And then you fit right into the rogueness.
[33:02] Yeah.
[33:03] And what about you?
[33:04] I think, I mean, not coming from, again, not a background in finance, it was more so...
[33:10] Like Infinity was looking for, you know, people that, like good people, people that are able to be trained.
[33:17] They don't necessarily have to have, you know, that knowledge or those skills, but they can be taught and instilled in someone.
[33:24] You just have to be, you know, in the right mindset to be able to learn that and.
[33:28] Have the will, not necessarily the skill.
[33:30] That's it.
[33:30] As Jay says.
[33:31] That's it.
[33:31] Yeah.
[33:32] And we all had it because I worked in events management before here.
[33:35] There's nothing to do with finance.
[33:37] Ten years later, look at me.
[33:38] Yeah.
[33:38] Look at you.
[33:39] You are the event.
[33:40] What do you mean?
[33:42] I think it doesn't feel like work.
[33:44] Yeah.
[33:45] Like when you love what you do.
[33:47] When I was teaching, I loved it at the start, but as the years went on, the job changed too much.
[33:51] Yeah.
[33:52] And, you know, it wasn't as shiny, it wasn't as exciting.
[33:55] And, you know, Sunday would roll around and you'd have like the Sunday blues.
[33:59] Like, oh, it's Monday tomorrow.
[34:01] Whereas I love coming into work.
[34:03] It's fun.
[34:04] It's so busy and hectic, but I wouldn't know anything different.
[34:08] And yeah, I just love the people that I work with.
[34:11] Yeah, we have fun.
[34:12] We get the job done.
[34:13] It's busy.
[34:13] But yeah, it doesn't feel like work.
[34:16] It's just, it's like an extension of my family.
[34:19] Yeah.
[34:19] Yeah.
[34:20] That's actually such a perfect way to put it because it never feels like work for me either.
[34:24] Like we, we can work Saturdays and Sundays, but it's never like, uh, I'm working Saturday, Sunday.
[34:29] Like, do you know what I mean?
[34:30] Like it just, it's like, no, I get to do this.
[34:33] I'm not, I have to do this.
[34:34] Yeah.
[34:35] That's what I think is so cool about what we do.
[34:36] I think people as well know very quickly if this is for you or it's for not like your first like week here, like.
[34:41] Yes.
[34:42] Yeah, it's one thing to like love your role in itself and you love what you're doing because it's so rewarding but you like enjoy the job.
[34:48] But the people, like working with amazing people, like so many of my friends talk about their job and they're like bitching about people that they work with and everything.
[34:55] Like there's not one person.
[34:56] You're carrying from accounts.
[34:57] Yeah, oh, fucking Cathy's in the kitchen.
[34:59] I'm fucking out of here.
[35:00] It's so not like that here.
[35:01] You can talk to anyone even if they're new, like everyone.
[35:04] We are just all so aligned.
[35:06] Like I think that's one thing.
[35:07] I'm very grateful for is like the selection process to work here.
[35:10] It's like tough for a reason because we do spend so much time together.
[35:14] Yes.
[35:15] And I, yeah, fucking love every single person in this company.
[35:18] Yeah, absolutely agree with everything you guys have just said.
[35:21] And let's go back to the fitness.
[35:23] You said fitness for your finances, but we've gone in like a really big direction in terms of our lifestyle branding as well.
[35:29] People are calling us a lifestyle brand now because we do 60 Strong.
[35:32] We do 75 Hard and Miss Taryn has been heavily involved in doing that herself personally.
[35:39] So talk us through your 60 Strong and 75 Hard journey.
[35:42] Yeah, so 60 Strong, Troy, one of our clients, posted me on our closed group, Infinity Fam, saying, oh, Taryn should do this.
[35:51] And I was like, oh.
[35:52] I saw it on the weekend and I was like, I think she's just been stitched up.
[35:55] Oh, so stitched up.
[35:56] I think I'm holding like a vodka Red Bull in the photo as well.
[36:00] Crazy work.
[36:01] um but then people were commenting underneath it like getting around me yeah as like this is what this community does everyone was getting around me in the comments going do it I'm like not the type of person that's like if someone's going like you won't I'm like oh say less let's go but then we had a rem not long after and people were recognizing me from that post going oh you're the girl that's doing 60 strong I was
[36:21] have to register now you've got to do it yeah I have to um and it was the best thing I ever done so I finished it about three weeks ago and then I'm on week one of 75 hard now so I had a little bit of time off and then gone straight back into it again
[36:34] Which is amazing that you've got your workplace supporting you in something that's completely different to your employment.
[36:39] Like it has nothing to do.
[36:40] I mean, I suppose it could, you know, if you've got healthy staff, they're going to be happier at work.
[36:45] But it's just crazy how much support we do get in so many different ways.
[36:49] Oh, the hype in this place is crazy, whether it's fitness or not.
[36:52] But the support I have, like from everyone in the office, like we all know that G, like,
[36:57] feeds everyone whenever there's snacks in the office.
[36:59] I run like, don't look at Taryn, like keep it away.
[37:02] Like the hype is amazing.
[37:03] Like I couldn't do it without the support of like everyone in the office too.
[37:07] Yeah.
[37:07] And the prize money is a bit of an incentive too.
[37:09] Yeah.
[37:10] How much did you find like your budget as well, like while you were doing 60 strong, like doing all your meal prep, like not eating out and things like that.
[37:20] Like did you find like a significant like drop in that and you were spending way less?
[37:24] Yeah.
[37:25] Well, I'm a bit naughty because my FFF is like some of our clients that have like a family of four.
[37:32] I mean, we need to talk about this.
[37:34] Yeah.
[37:34] I was trying not to bring it up but I knew that if I made it something ridiculous I wouldn't stick to it.
[37:39] Yeah.
[37:40] So now to answer your question or the healthy eating, I've managed to fit it in that.
[37:44] So I haven't gone over the budget.
[37:45] Yeah.
[37:45] Just buying less shit now for myself to do that or like gym gear or something like that.
[37:50] Yeah.
[37:51] I'm obsessed with buying gym clothes now.
[37:53] That's good though.
[37:54] Fitness freak.
[37:55] You are.
[37:55] Exactly.
[37:56] 75 days I will be.
[37:57] Take a good look because you won't be able to see me soon.
[38:00] And how much have you lost so far?
[38:03] During 60 Strong I lost 8.2 kilos.
[38:06] Damn.
[38:07] That ended about three weeks ago and I officially lost 10 now.
[38:12] That's incredible.
[38:13] Snaps for Tara.
[38:14] Hot Girl Summer incoming.
[38:17] And she is single.
[38:21] And then let's talk about your fitness journey, because I know since I've met you and you've come to work with us, you've been very into your strong woman and your powerlifting and all that.
[38:30] If I label it wrong, please, please let me know.
[38:33] But that's grown quite a lot since you started working here and you've won many titles and things like that.
[38:38] How has Infinity supported you on that journey?
[38:41] Yeah, so been doing Strong Woman competitively for about six years now.
[38:48] And, yeah, I've competed internationally, coming up for five years now.
[38:53] And...
[38:56] I think it was last year G approached me and said that, you know, he wanted to sponsor me, Infinity wanted to sponsor me when I go over to Texas.
[39:06] This was November last year to compete internationally.
[39:11] So, yeah, just like how many people can say that their workplace is getting behind them to compete internationally, to, you know, fly them overseas?
[39:21] Yeah.
[39:22] to pursue something that they love.
[39:25] I think the thing that stands out what Beck and Gee do is that they're, you know, like my previous when I was teaching, my principal at the time the first year I went to compete internationally for,
[39:39] And, you know, I had to take I think it was about 10 days leave and it was almost seen as a bit of like a burden to him.
[39:45] Yeah.
[39:46] And he was like, is this going to be like an every like an annual occurrence?
[39:50] Like as if, you know, me doing something like,
[39:54] Outside of work.
[39:54] Using annually you're entitled to anyway.
[39:56] Yeah, that I'm entitled to.
[39:57] But something that I was so, like, passionate about and, you know, is basically, like, part of my identity and my hobby, you know, was like a burden to him.
[40:07] And so whereas, like, Beck and Jay is the complete opposite.
[40:10] Like, they just want everyone to grow into the best version of themselves, obviously within infinity and what their role is, but outside of infinity and just...
[40:20] like as a person, as an individual, like with our families.
[40:24] So I've just, yeah, it's, I can't even describe how generous it is.
[40:29] It makes me feel very honoured and special that they would consider that and support me.
[40:36] With how busy they are as well, like their support, like they're off doing everything, but they are so still in the business.
[40:44] It's not funny.
[40:44] People think that they're out and about doing, which they are, but they do not lose the closeness to any of us.
[40:49] They're still like, G was texting me last night.
[40:52] Yeah.
[40:53] Yeah, their care for their people is unmatched and something I've never seen before.
[40:57] Yeah.
[40:58] They genuinely want to know like what you're doing with your property journey, how they can support you with your property journey, how they can help you grow in your career.
[41:05] Like that's something really cool here is like you come in thinking you've got one role and then like 12 months later you're in something completely different you never thought you would do.
[41:14] But it's like enriches your life so much to the point where you're like, you look back and you like pinch yourself.
[41:19] You're like, how am I here?
[41:21] Yeah.
[41:21] Like me on stage.
[41:23] Yeah.
[41:23] Like what the hell?
[41:24] Like.
[41:25] And with how many like staff members we have when G says, reach out and I'll help you.
[41:29] I remember when I was looking for a house, you don't want to bug G too much even though he would hate you saying that.
[41:36] Because you know he's so busy.
[41:37] Yeah, but you know that he'd be like, fuck off, message me.
[41:39] I'll do whatever I can.
[41:40] When we were on one of our America trips, I thought I'd got a property but the guy was ghosting me and we were in America at the time and he was like, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
[41:48] M, one of our relationship managers, asked me how it was going and she overheard and goes, wait, what do you mean?
[41:54] What are you saying?
[41:55] And then got on the blower and starts calling this guy's boss and was like,
[42:00] don't ghost my staff member.
[42:01] What does she want?
[42:02] Like give her whatever she wants.
[42:03] Yeah.
[42:04] Like the support is crazy.
[42:05] Yeah.
[42:06] I know, yeah, you mentioned Lachlan before.
[42:08] He's part of our people and culture team where he was doing, like very recently doing the exact same thing to help him into a property too.
[42:14] Yeah.
[42:15] Where he was like, I'm at Infinity.
[42:16] I work for Infinity.
[42:17] You're going to do this.
[42:18] And I was like, oh, my God.
[42:19] Yeah, totally.
[42:20] Yeah.
[42:20] He's the, yeah, Beck and G, biggest ride or dies for us.
[42:23] Yeah.
[42:23] A hundred.
[42:24] It's absolutely incredible.
[42:25] And what else have you guys been able to achieve personally and professionally through Infinity?
[42:30] Something that I hadn't added before was, you know, I've set up a self-managed super fund as well.
[42:35] Yeah.
[42:36] So that through infinity and didn't have quite enough to purchase in super when that was an option.
[42:43] So Graeme advised me to invest my super into a mortgage fund.
[42:49] Yep.
[42:50] And that's making, you know, more capital than it was sitting in an industry fund.
[42:55] Yeah.
[42:55] So.
[42:56] Um, yeah.
[42:57] And that just, again, once it's set up, it just ticks away in the background.
[43:01] Um, you don't need to think about it.
[43:04] Um, yeah.
[43:05] Mine's probably definitely the career growth.
[43:09] I didn't realize how much I loved marketing.
[43:11] I never would have put myself in it because like requires study first of all.
[43:15] Yeah.
[43:16] Um, but I knew I loved it in my personal life.
[43:18] Like I'm the one that runs everyone's Instagrams, taking all the photos, editing, posting them.
[43:23] Um, and so to step into that role from the push from G and Beck, because they could see it and I couldn't, um, is crazy.
[43:31] And like, I have had like two promotions in that like marketing job and there's still even more room for growth, which I want to get to, but it'd probably be that other than being able to buy my own investment, like my first property.
[43:42] Yeah.
[43:43] And being able to pay it down to I'm still actively rapid repaying it.
[43:46] Yeah.
[43:46] Like it doesn't just stop when you get the property.
[43:48] Like, yeah, still sticking to a budget, pay 10K off it in six months and just keep hustling until I can get something else.
[43:55] Yeah.
[43:56] And what do you love most about our education?
[43:58] Because our education, especially for you in the social media space, you see how that evolves.
[44:03] And we have moved into a bit of a space where it looks like a lot of our posts are starting to get political.
[44:08] But G and I had a really good message on the weekend at REM where we're like, no, no, take the political away from it.
[44:13] This is about talking about policy and what is happening right now in the economy and in the market and distilling it down as we talk a lot about distilling our education down so our clients understand it.
[44:24] Because this is important to know and understand what the fuck is happening out there, how it affects you today, how it's going to affect you tomorrow, but also how it's going to affect your kids.
[44:32] So what do you like about our education in our social media side of things?
[44:38] It's free.
[44:39] Yeah.
[44:39] It's literally free.
[44:41] The webinar, like every, like what blows my mind is like, because I see the messages that come into G's inbox.
[44:47] I try and swipe them away before he gets in there and roasts someone.
[44:51] But it's free.
[44:52] You can choose to take it and run.
[44:54] You can choose to have a wall up and not take on the education.
[44:56] But...
[44:57] We're going out of our way to show people that even though things are changing all the time politically or not, we're showing you a way that you can adjust and still move forward from it.
[45:05] But all our education is free.
[45:07] Like I know that we have a lot of people who comment on our stuff that maybe don't have the money to join or they're just it's not their time yet.
[45:13] But they're following the process because of the podcast, because of the free webinar.
[45:17] Yeah.
[45:17] My favourite thing is that it's literally free.
[45:19] Yes, it costs to become a client as it does everywhere else, but everything is free.
[45:23] You just have to have the willingness to take it on.
[45:25] Yeah, and you see how hard we work on our education too.
[45:28] Yes.
[45:29] Like and comment on my reels, please.
[45:30] Yes, share all the time.
[45:32] Repost, please.
[45:34] I think that's the thing as well when I speak to people when they've signed up for that masterclass and do a bit of an introduction call with them is that a lot of them are already putting into practice.
[45:44] Yeah.
[45:44] Some of those, you know, tips and tricks that they've learned from the webinar or just from what's been posted on socials.
[45:50] They've already tried, you know, closing some of those extra accounts down or setting up like a food, fuel and fun.
[45:58] So they're taking away bits and pieces from what we're putting out there.
[46:01] Yeah.
[46:02] um before they've even got to the masterclass yeah i got the masterclass on the weekend what do i do i'm like nothing yeah no big changes yeah people say oh do i need to refinance now or do this no big changes but you can yeah definitely start closing down those credit cards paying them off um closing those extra accounts and trying to set up a budget yeah things but no big changes
[46:24] Yeah.
[46:25] No, I love what you just said because that's so true because I get a lot of DMs too where they're like, I'm not a client, I've just been following you guys, watching your content, I just want to say thank you because I've paid $400,000 off my home loan in two years from your free content.
[46:38] Amazing.
[46:39] Which is incredible.
[46:40] We're giving that to people for free.
[46:42] Yeah, yeah.
[46:43] And then we get to see the flow and effect when these people maybe do get to come on board as a client, when you're talking to them, or you're just seeing those DMs where they're just sharing their gratitude.
[46:51] Yeah.
[46:51] Yeah.
[46:53] Before we wrap up, is there anything else that you would like to add or you think might be beneficial for anybody who might be listening to your stories?
[46:59] Yeah.
[47:01] I think for mine, especially for all the single people or if you're young, is to talk to your parents about it.
[47:07] Yeah.
[47:08] I don't think like a big help for me was my parents going guarantor for me.
[47:12] I don't even know if many people know that that exists or get them to watch the free webinar and see what your options are.
[47:19] Yeah.
[47:19] You need to, there's always something, there's always a way to do it.
[47:23] Get educated.
[47:24] What do you think is one of the coolest things that Infinity does that you never would have expected from our business when you first found us?
[47:30] I know for me it's the Christmas parties.
[47:33] I would say it's probably our real estate mastery events.
[47:35] Yeah.
[47:36] Like how many brokers, how many, you know, companies are out there flying their clients, like paying for their flights, their accommodation, all their meals, their food, you know, their drinks to come and spend a weekend with us on the Gold Coast.
[47:49] Yeah.
[47:50] And be in a room with, you know, a thousand people over a weekend.
[47:55] Like how many companies can say that they do that?
[47:57] It's so true.
[47:58] And get like two full days of extra education where we just keep updating you on what's happening in the market, what you need to be looking at, keeping your eye out for you.
[48:07] That's actually a really good one.
[48:08] Yeah.
[48:08] Yeah.
[48:09] All of our events actually, like Nat and the community team.
[48:12] Yeah.
[48:12] Like you're not just paying for a brokerage.
[48:14] Like this is a whole, you've got like access to so much.
[48:19] One that stands out for me is probably the Kmart wishing tree appeal.
[48:22] Of course.
[48:22] And like people, yeah, just have no idea.
[48:25] um the amount that beck and g give and being a part of that feels like the warm fuzzies we get at the end of the year and like i know that dean runs something on the side as well that he gets everyone else the santa sacks yeah the santa sacks and doing that is just it just makes you feel good like just yeah it's we love working here and love everyone that we work with but you just constantly feel so good to give
[48:48] Yeah, always.
[48:49] Yeah, and I love that.
[48:50] We incorporate that with our Christmas party where it's like you have to bring a gift.
[48:54] Like you get to come to this party for free but your entry fee essentially is a gift for the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal and our clients are incredible.
[49:01] They rallied behind us, did over a million dollars last year and we're going to do two million this year.
[49:05] I know.
[49:05] I reckon we're going to shit it in.
[49:07] I reckon two.
[49:07] Yeah.
[49:08] I reckon.
[49:08] But that's another thing is like our clients don't go, oh, well, I'm not going to get a present.
[49:11] Everyone's like, oh, yeah, of course, here's three.
[49:12] Yeah.
[49:13] Like people like showed out.
[49:14] Yeah.
[49:15] I can't wait for this year.
[49:15] Yeah.
[49:16] I think we filled like trucks last year.
[49:18] Do you guys know how many trucks we filled?
[49:19] I can't even remember what it was.
[49:20] I can't even say that.
[49:21] It was like heaps of them.
[49:23] Yeah.
[49:23] Like even to the point where I think the event staff were like, I don't actually think we have enough trucks.
[49:27] Yeah.
[49:27] Yeah.
[49:28] It was crazy.
[49:29] Yeah.
[49:30] Awesome.
[49:30] Well, I absolutely love the both of you so much.
[49:33] I am so proud of both of you and thank you so much for coming on to share your stories.
[49:37] Thank you.
[49:38] Love you too.
[49:40] My name is Rachel Howlett.
[49:41] Sorry.
[49:42] No, don't fuck with my head.
[49:43] Sorry.
[49:44] The tongue came out.
[49:45] Don't know how I feel about that.
[49:46] Just a couple of girls on a podcast.
[49:48] Nothing could go wrong.
[49:49] This is perfect.
[49:50] Get the wine.
[49:52] Sorry about that sound check.
[49:54] Why is it like we're 75 hard?
[49:55] I'm struggling to drink water.
[49:56] If this was full of vodka, I'd be, see you later.
[49:59] Our fun is the gym.
[50:03] The only thing I'm lifting are these fucking bags under my eyes every day.
[50:05] Holy.
[50:06] I see you lifting these like big balls.
[50:08] I know, isn't it nuts?
[50:09] You could have gone in a really bad direction then.
[50:11] Lifting balls.
[50:15] It'd be funny if we had like a hook that was like something so dramatic.
[50:18] Chicken and a little ball.
