## Transcript

[0:00] paid off before we retire, or like by the time, like Dan's a bit older, so maybe, you know, by the time I retire, but before that, we weren't even going to have a homeland paid off before we died.
[0:07] Wow.
[0:08] You know what I mean?
[0:08] I think going to the first... And then to REM.
[0:12] First REM, sitting there...
[0:15] And even though I'd watched some of the stuff and that, sitting there and watching Gee just explain stuff.
[0:22] In person.
[0:23] In person, this, like there.
[0:25] So it's not just Gee.
[0:28] Everybody that got out the testimonials.
[0:30] Those testimonials.
[0:31] Just everything about it showing that the average Joe...
[0:34] can do this you don't have to be rich money isn't rude of all evil the fucking lack of it is not money the lack of understanding money when i put that into emphasis when i realize that psychological effect and how it hit our family i have to be in the fucking way with graham home you're fucking gone see ya
[0:59] Hello and welcome.
[1:00] My name's Connor.
[1:01] I am one of the relationship managers here at Infinity.
[1:04] Today I've got my awesome clients, Darren and Zoe, here with us to share a bit of their journey, talk us a little through about their obviously journey with Infinity.
[1:12] How are you guys?
[1:12] Awesome.
[1:13] Good, thank you.
[1:14] Yeah, awesome.
[1:14] Thanks for coming in.
[1:15] Where are you guys from?
[1:16] Melbourne.
[1:17] Melbourne.
[1:17] Yep.
[1:17] Flew up to the nice sunny Gold Coast.
[1:19] That's not so sunny today.
[1:20] Well, sunny was yesterday.
[1:21] Today, not so sunny.
[1:23] Awesome.
[1:24] Again, thank you very much for joining us.
[1:25] We're very much looking forward to diving a little bit deeper into your story.
[1:29] You know, to start us off, tell us your little, you know, your little elevator pitch about yourselves, who you guys are, you know, focus it on pre-Infinity.
[1:35] Who were you guys before joining Infinity?
[1:37] What brought you to Infinity as well?
[1:39] So pre-infinity, we thought we were doing the right thing.
[1:45] Had a property for myself.
[1:47] Darren had a property in his name.
[1:49] We brought a property together.
[1:51] Thought that was all working well because we were doing it all the right way.
[1:55] We had 14 bank accounts here, there and everywhere scattered with money here, there and everywhere.
[2:01] Transfer from one to the other, make each day work.
[2:04] Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
[2:05] Pay Paul, couple of credit cards, a novated lease that we thought, or I thought because I've had it before Darren come along, was the correct right way.
[2:13] But once Rach showed us what was happening with that, it definitely wasn't the right way.
[2:19] So, yeah.
[2:21] I was like on the hunt to find out what can happen and where can we get some financial advice.
[2:26] And I'll come across the webinar on Facebook of Graham.
[2:30] So Darren was asleep for an early start and I sat there for two and a half hours watching the webinar, taking notes, thinking, oh, I can't wait to talk to him tomorrow or the next day.
[2:41] You need to wake up.
[2:42] I really need to discuss this now.
[2:43] I wanted to talk, talk, talk.
[2:46] But anyway, finally got to speak to Darren and said about it.
[2:49] And Darren's like,
[2:50] Oh, probably another pyramid scheme.
[2:52] Very sceptical.
[2:53] So you were the sceptic.
[2:54] Oh, very sceptical.
[2:55] Like being a bit older, seeing the pyramid and, can you watch this?
[3:01] Can you watch this?
[3:02] Yeah, yeah.
[3:02] And I kept putting it off, kept putting it off.
[3:04] Oh, can you watch at least something about him?
[3:07] So I googled his name and the company and everything and...
[3:11] when I started watching Graham these other ones are popping up so I'm sort of watching three or four of them I'm thinking they're all off from the same thing so why why you know and thinking this is this is dodgy this is dodgy at its finest point so I'd go back and then I left it for a few days she goes did you watch and I said I watched this and this and it really I don't know I'd
[3:34] I just think it's something dodgy about it.
[3:37] Can you watch it again?
[3:37] Yep.
[3:38] So then I started.
[3:38] I said, here are all my notes.
[3:39] Like, look at the notes that I've taken from this webinar.
[3:43] And then now you need to go watch, like properly watch.
[3:45] And then look at my notes.
[3:46] So I watched, it was on the podcast and that.
[3:49] And then he's asking these questions.
[3:52] He's got different people on there.
[3:53] And he's talking about all this stuff.
[3:56] So then I went to the next one.
[3:57] And I'm thinking, yeah.
[3:58] You're just telling me how I can save money.
[4:00] So I found there was a third person in a company that sort of was doing it.
[4:05] And that was just like, we can save you.
[4:06] We can save you.
[4:07] That was it.
[4:08] We can save you.
[4:09] So I went back to Graham.
[4:11] And I'm watching just different stuff about Affinity.
[4:13] And it wasn't just you could save your money.
[4:16] He's explaining what the banks were doing or all this stuff.
[4:19] And they're going, oh, okay.
[4:20] And this sort of got my brain rattling a bit.
[4:22] So I watched a few more.
[4:23] New education.
[4:24] You know, and watching more and more and going.
[4:26] Got hooked.
[4:26] Yeah.
[4:27] Oh, this is okay.
[4:28] And then so we come back and said, oh, it's got a masterclass.
[4:32] I said, oh, okay, yep, cool, cool.
[4:34] Where do we got to go?
[4:35] Oh, no, you do it online.
[4:36] Oh, yeah, righto.
[4:37] I'm thinking an hour or two, though, I could do this.
[4:39] Because I'm one who just doesn't sit.
[4:41] I can't sit still.
[4:42] You know, the OCD, you know, ADH and all this.
[4:47] I'll go for two days.
[4:49] And I went, oh, yeah, okay, I'll probably do a couple of hours each day.
[4:51] She goes, oh, no, no, it goes for two full days.
[4:54] And I'm thinking, well, then, how in the fuck am I going to sit here for two days?
[4:57] You know, like, seriously?
[5:00] But it was amazing.
[5:02] Like watching the master class, probably two hours into it, I'm going, everyone shut up, shut up.
[5:07] By lunchtime he was hooked.
[5:09] I was hooked.
[5:09] I was just, way Graham come about and directed himself was amazing.
[5:15] It was absolutely amazing.
[5:18] Um, and for him, even online, telling people to shut the fuck up and that, questions are later.
[5:24] And people are still firing questions and you're not listening.
[5:27] And this is, I like this bloke.
[5:29] He's straight to the point.
[5:30] And I'm already writing stuff down.
[5:33] I've already got questions.
[5:34] I want to ask him.
[5:35] Surprise me.
[5:35] That was very surprising.
[5:36] I'm writing questions.
[5:37] I don't know if I fully in.
[5:38] I don't write anything down.
[5:39] And I've got questions you asked to Spike and towards the end and all this.
[5:42] Didn't want to fire one through early?
[5:43] No, because I'm saving them, though.
[5:45] I don't want to get in trouble.
[5:46] I don't want to get in trouble, but I also want to listen to Howard.
[5:49] And we finished around 7 o'clock.
[5:51] Graham, he didn't waffle on to it, but he went on until 10 o'clock.
[5:55] We're sitting there right up until late day.
[5:57] Yeah.
[5:57] You know?
[5:58] Zoe would walk off and get a coffee or something for us to eat and be still listening to it.
[6:02] And I'd quickly go and do it.
[6:04] And then even during the breaks, come on, come back.
[6:06] Don't worry about your breaks.
[6:06] Get back to it.
[6:08] I was hooked.
[6:09] because this was nothing like I'd ever seen or listened to.
[6:13] And the figures, our personal figures were in the masterclass, so they weren't lying.
[6:19] They were our figures that we had put down.
[6:21] Yeah, awesome.
[6:22] And it was our money there, and if we do this, this, and this, we're not going to be paying it off in 25 years, yeah?
[6:28] We're going to be paying it off in five years and four months.
[6:30] I was laughing, though, and now they're talking about relationship managers, and I'm going, I don't need anyone to be telling me about my relationships, right?
[6:39] You know, might have a few marriages, but, you know, I don't need anyone.
[6:42] I know what's going on.
[6:43] You found the one now.
[6:44] Yeah.
[6:44] That's it.
[6:45] I was surprised.
[6:46] I should get it.
[6:48] But it was so informing to do it.
[6:52] Yeah.
[6:53] Like I said, we had Chantel, we had Rachel.
[6:57] Now we've got you, Connor, and...
[6:59] I don't think that, you know, like having it thinking, oh, I want to ring this bloke and ask him a question.
[7:03] How do I go about it?
[7:04] I know I can ring and say to you, I've got this question and I know you're going to give me the answer I need in that.
[7:09] Yeah.
[7:10] Some people can do everything over a phone in front of a laptop.
[7:13] Yeah.
[7:13] That's not me.
[7:14] I want to meet the person, you know, I've met you and I love how straight up you can give us an answer.
[7:19] You can work on it.
[7:20] Just leave that with me.
[7:20] I'm going to get straight on.
[7:21] Yeah.
[7:21] You do.
[7:22] Yeah.
[7:22] Everyone Affinity is such a family orientated thing that we can talk to them.
[7:27] Yeah.
[7:27] And your structure and the education that I'm learning.
[7:31] Yeah.
[7:31] Even when you guys like Rachel got promoted and then Chantel got promoted, it was a little bit of like, how's this going to work now?
[7:39] Cause we've got a new person, but it just flows.
[7:41] It all flows.
[7:41] Everybody flows into their new position nicely.
[7:44] And it's like, you don't have to pick up where, you know, right from the start again, cause you, you're all on board of everybody's situation.
[7:51] Yeah.
[7:52] and you've got the stuff there and it just flows.
[7:54] Yeah.
[7:54] So it sounds like all of your team keeps getting promoted.
[7:56] So I've got a chance.
[7:57] Yeah.
[7:58] Well, yeah.
[7:59] I mean, that old saying, you can always teach an old dog new tricks.
[8:03] Yeah.
[8:04] And I've been taught a lot of tricks and that, and I'm amazing.
[8:07] Like every time,
[8:08] that this podcast and different, uh, 60 strong, we're doing the 60 strong.
[8:13] We're both just committed.
[8:16] I used to watch and think, and not, I mean, I'm not an exercise person.
[8:20] This is not for me.
[8:21] Um, but there's been so many people I've watched do it and thinking, you can do it.
[8:27] And give it a crack.
[8:28] Troy Saunders.
[8:30] Yep.
[8:30] Yep.
[8:31] Great.
[8:32] Amazing bloke.
[8:32] Got a high respect for that gentleman.
[8:35] Yeah.
[8:35] And watching him say, I'm going to have a crack at it more than once.
[8:38] Well, I'm doing this.
[8:39] Back to back, you know, and the coaches and the team and that.
[8:42] But we've got all our financial stuff working for us now and like new ways.
[8:48] So it's now time to focus on us now.
[8:50] Yeah, 100%.
[8:51] Your health is your wealth.
[8:53] But at this stage, you've gone through the webinar.
[8:55] You've then jumped onto the masterclass, two full days, fully committed.
[9:00] What was your feeling like when you obviously then go to the next stage, you've applied to be a part of Infinity?
[9:04] So on that Sunday, the end of the masterclass, and they straight in, FFF for $7.50?
[9:08] Yeah.
[9:09] Just old school book wise, because nothing was set up, but we just started it straight away.
[9:13] Yeah.
[9:14] Homework that needed to be put in with you guys for that week.
[9:17] Yep.
[9:18] So Rachel had been following up some stuff.
[9:19] So Sunday night, Monday morning, I had it all lodged to them straight away.
[9:23] Wow.
[9:23] Didn't I?
[9:23] I sat up, I didn't go to bed.
[9:25] She had it all lodged.
[9:26] I did.
[9:26] And Rachel's like, oh my God.
[9:27] I just signed.
[9:28] Oh my God.
[9:29] You've got it.
[9:29] I'm like, yep.
[9:30] Full steam ahead, weren't we?
[9:31] Straight away.
[9:32] What was the feeling like when you, you know, you're fully fledged, fully in.
[9:36] We'd never had a budget before that.
[9:37] Wow.
[9:38] Ever.
[9:38] Never.
[9:38] We.
[9:39] Even when we worked together, we never had a budget.
[9:40] And then when we were together, we never had a budget.
[9:43] So putting a budget into place, it was scary.
[9:45] But I said, let's see how we go.
[9:47] And we made it work.
[9:48] And within a month and a half of being at $750, we dropped to $650.
[9:51] Yeah.
[9:52] And then last year with their challenge, drop $100 off your FFF, we dropped to $550.
[9:57] Yeah.
[9:57] So you're continuously improving.
[9:59] It's not like it's a set and forget.
[10:00] You're always looking for new ways.
[10:01] But we're still living life.
[10:03] Yeah.
[10:03] Don't feel like you're going without?
[10:04] No.
[10:04] No.
[10:05] No.
[10:05] Not at all.
[10:06] When we first did it, I was looking and going, F a week, I'm going to survive on $750 a week, doing everything.
[10:14] At the stage, I was still doing.
[10:15] But we had leftovers.
[10:17] I was still doing a bit of Perth then.
[10:19] And I'm going, no.
[10:21] If I spent a week in Perth, you know, I'm going drinking with the boys and stuff.
[10:26] And then once we did it, it's going, well, we can do this.
[10:31] And then when I did stop doing this and you stopped the rotating shifts to the hospital, it was just amazing, like, how we achieved all this.
[10:40] Yeah.
[10:41] And then we're going, oh, we've still got all this extra.
[10:43] Well, let's go down a bit lower because we can still do this.
[10:46] So you just changed it.
[10:47] Because we would never have done it.
[10:49] And then seeing some of the stories of other people when they went from this to this.
[10:54] That's amazing.
[10:54] If they can do it and they can prep stuff, so can we.
[10:57] Yeah, 100%.
[10:58] What was your biggest aha moment?
[11:00] Obviously, coming pre-Infinity, again, you would have been just living normal life, robbing Peter to pay Paul, 14 accounts, and you probably didn't think much of it.
[11:08] You thought this is just how everyone does it.
[11:10] There's nothing crazy.
[11:11] What was the biggest key moment?
[11:13] Well, after joining Infinity or after the Masterclass, something G might have said.
[11:17] What did you take away?
[11:17] I went, wow, if we implement that.
[11:19] This is, this is what's really changed.
[11:21] Having our home loan paid off before we retire or like by the time, like Dan's a bit older.
[11:25] So maybe, you know, by the time I retired, but before that we weren't even going to have a home loan paid off before we died.
[11:29] Wow.
[11:30] You know what I mean?
[11:30] I think going to the first.
[11:32] And then to REM.
[11:34] The first REM, sitting there and even though I'd watched some of the stuff and that, sitting there and watching G just explain stuff.
[11:44] In person.
[11:45] Like in person, this, like there.
[11:48] Um...
[11:48] But not just, gee, everybody that got out the testimonials.
[11:52] Those testimonials.
[11:53] Just everything about it showing that the average Joe can do this.
[11:58] You don't have to be rich.
[12:00] And meeting people that have now have never had a property, have rented their whole life, and there's an older couple of them.
[12:07] They were from Cairns.
[12:08] All they ever wanted was a house.
[12:09] Now they've got a house.
[12:11] They've actually got a property they've brought,
[12:14] And they can afford now a unit to live in.
[12:16] It's just.
[12:17] Wow.
[12:17] Stories like that, it's just.
[12:19] That sticks.
[12:20] And age diverse.
[12:21] Like, as you know, from Oscar's age all the way up.
[12:23] I think the latest, the oldest person we went at one room, they were like in their 70s.
[12:27] It's just amazing how.
[12:29] It's for everybody.
[12:29] The family, as I call them, affinity, can show you a lifestyle.
[12:34] You've got to want to educate yourself though.
[12:36] You can't want to have it handed to you on silver.
[12:38] But you have to put in the hard yards and the work.
[12:40] 100%.
[12:40] And that's it.
[12:41] And when they said about, you know, self-managed super fund, I'm like, oh, okay.
[12:45] And then they said, like, if you sit here and you don't do your self-managed super fund, this is where you'll be with your two supers.
[12:51] But if you do your self-managed super fund, this is where you'll be.
[12:53] And I'm like, well, this is a no-brainer.
[12:55] Let's do it.
[12:56] That paperwork, that was scary.
[12:57] This is why you've got ages.
[12:58] That was scary.
[12:59] This is why you've got a teamwork of people who...
[13:03] With you, working with you, your financial management relations people, everyone is here to talk to you.
[13:10] Like you might say to us, okay, no, I'll get you to talk to this person, whatever.
[13:14] And that is, no question is a stupid question with you guys because you'll direct us in the right direction.
[13:20] Yeah.
[13:21] As you said before, you've definitely got to want it as G obviously references as well.
[13:25] Like, you know, there's no magic in what we do here.
[13:27] It's we can implement, we can teach you, but it's up to you guys to make those changes.
[13:31] Can't make a drink.
[13:32] A hundred percent.
[13:33] There would have been tough moments along the journey as well, where you probably thought, why am I doing this?
[13:38] Is it don't, can you elaborate on any of those that might've happened?
[13:41] Is there when I had my knee done?
[13:42] Yeah.
[13:42] Yeah.
[13:43] When I had the tumours in my knee.
[13:45] Yeah.
[13:45] My first thoughts were, okay, so if this ends up cancerous and I lose a leg, what do I do?
[13:50] Because I've got these home loans and everything.
[13:53] If I was to pass away, how does Zoe survive?
[13:57] 12 months waiting for surgery and that, thinking, where's the money going to come from?
[14:00] Where are we going to?
[14:02] And it was never like that.
[14:04] Like after we'd spoken to Rachel and everything, we're going to do this or I'll get you to do this.
[14:10] The concern people had for us, it was awesome.
[14:14] Yeah, there was a plan in place.
[14:16] We had all our plans we've done.
[14:19] It's worked.
[14:20] You know, we follow the plan and everything.
[14:23] It's never been a moment that I think, okay, shit, this is going to be bad and all this.
[14:29] And when we sat down, okay, now they've told us we can do this.
[14:32] You're back on track.
[14:33] Like.
[14:34] Our biggest probably concern was when Rachel said we needed to sell the two properties pre-affinity.
[14:42] Yeah, the old investments.
[14:43] The old investments that were underperforming.
[14:46] The capital gains, we both looked at each other and said, that's going to knock us right out.
[14:49] We're going to be back to square one.
[14:50] We won't say we're thinking...
[14:56] Okay, you got to sell this.
[14:57] Okay, you're telling us to sell this.
[14:58] It's got to be for a reason.
[15:00] Yeah.
[15:00] So that was scary.
[15:01] We sell it and then we've been waiting for the capital gains and all this, you know, we're waiting and thinking, everything we've got now in this savings, we're about to lose this.
[15:09] We're going to wipe it out on capital gains.
[15:10] Because, you know, you see other people say, oh, it'll cost you this much, it's going to cost you this.
[15:14] We're going to be back to zero, so it's going to be another couple of years.
[15:17] That's not the case at all because everything's factored in.
[15:20] There's a 50% CTG rule that I was really not unaware or heard of before infinity.
[15:25] Now that's all into play and everything has come in way less than what we thought.
[15:29] With two properties in the same financial year.
[15:31] And even when we pay that bill, we're still sitting way... Quite significantly ahead of the opportunity.
[15:39] Made us...
[15:40] So that would be the scariest, I would say for me, that was my scariest moment of.
[15:44] Yeah, one of them.
[15:45] Yeah, it's just, I think it's just that us doing this together, thinking, okay, yeah, we're going to do this.
[15:51] We never thought we'd be here.
[15:52] Yeah.
[15:53] Ever.
[15:53] We never thought, always thought I might own a house.
[15:56] Yeah.
[15:57] And then getting the places in Townsville.
[15:59] Couldn't believe it.
[15:59] This is great.
[16:01] Yeah.
[16:01] We've got two houses in Townsville, you know.
[16:05] We did it wrong.
[16:05] Yeah.
[16:06] We did it so wrong.
[16:07] And previously, like with previous partners, they were there, we were here, but together, since being together, we're both in.
[16:15] We're all in together, working together as a team, bounce off each other, discuss everything, and where we've got to now in this short space of time of five years, we've both achieved so much more in that five years than what we had previously ever.
[16:28] Awesome.
[16:29] Like, yeah.
[16:30] And you guys are, you know, testament to you guys as well being –
[16:32] You've done so much already, but me personally knowing you, you're not slowing down anytime soon.
[16:37] You're not saying, cool, we're ahead now.
[16:39] We can take the foot off the pedal.
[16:40] You're going, how do we, you know, put more gas in this machine and then keep it, you know, rocketing forward.
[16:44] Well, when, um, Chantel was going to her next job thing, I'm going, oh, I don't like this idea.
[16:52] Cause I like to know.
[16:53] And then we're losing Rachel.
[16:55] Right.
[16:56] Oh, great.
[16:57] You know?
[16:59] And then, okay, so he's going, oh, we're getting Connor.
[17:04] I need to fix Connor.
[17:06] He was.
[17:06] So he called me a few things.
[17:09] Probably did, actually.
[17:10] Who the hell is Connor and that?
[17:11] And as I've said to Rachel, you come here and you look at your younger ones and you go...
[17:18] Oh, great.
[17:19] Straight out of university.
[17:20] Now I'm going to be told by someone in university, but it's not like that.
[17:25] It's not having a conversation with a mate that you've known for ages.
[17:28] Yeah.
[17:28] Meeting you was great and awesome.
[17:30] Like it was laid back and all this.
[17:32] And you did call me 10 years older than I actually am.
[17:34] I was just going to say already.
[17:35] I won't, uh, I won't hold that on.
[17:37] It's now on the record.
[17:38] Yeah.
[17:38] You know, the younger bloke.
[17:39] But you know, the awesome part about it is having like, Hey, yep.
[17:43] The younger mate.
[17:44] And your advice and that.
[17:45] And it's like, we can talk and that.
[17:47] Whereas.
[17:49] the old tax man and that, like...
[17:51] okay, here we go.
[17:52] Like, yeah, you got to be doing this or doing that.
[17:55] You guys have that personal relationship.
[17:57] We've got this personal thing in that with you guys when it isn't.
[17:59] Now we know we can ring up and go, hey, this is happening.
[18:02] You know, I'm not one who will ring up and go, oh, shit, shit.
[18:05] The financial things just told us this is going to happen.
[18:07] We've got to go to, um, interest only or whatever.
[18:10] And then.
[18:11] Before infinity interest rates, I was like, oh my God, another, another interest rate.
[18:15] And I just said to Rachel yesterday morning on the news, they're putting this big spiel about,
[18:20] oh, now the rates have gone up, how people are talking about we should go to interest only payments.
[18:25] And I'm just like, you are kidding me.
[18:26] Like, what are you doing?
[18:28] Yeah.
[18:28] We don't, I don't, I see that.
[18:31] I don't worry about it because I know that if something's going to happen, you're on the phone to say, guys, we're going to do this.
[18:37] Yeah.
[18:37] If it's something worth worrying about, you will worry about it for us.
[18:41] Everybody's crying about the petrol prices.
[18:42] It was way worse during COVID for Victorians, right?
[18:45] Yeah.
[18:45] And at the end of the day, it's really not that bad.
[18:49] Yeah.
[18:49] Only think about it.
[18:50] Like...
[18:51] I don't smoke.
[18:53] I don't, I might have a drink now and then.
[18:55] But all the people that whinge about all these things, smoke, drink, gamble, all that kind of stuff, but they've got money for that.
[19:01] But oh no, don't, let's have an interest rate rise or have to pay more for petrol.
[19:04] We don't have to worry that we know that if something with the interest or anything else, you guys are on it before anyone else.
[19:11] Yeah.
[19:11] So you're going to advise us.
[19:13] We don't have to contact you because you're the ones doing it.
[19:17] I've seen many a time and it annoys the crap out of me.
[19:20] Someone will post something.
[19:22] And I go, wait for it.
[19:23] Wait for it.
[19:24] It's coming.
[19:25] Yep.
[19:25] G's on there going.
[19:27] What the fuck?
[19:28] And I go, do these people not realize that this is not a personal post for you?
[19:33] Because G can see all this stuff.
[19:34] Number one rule.
[19:36] Relationship manager.
[19:37] But relationship manager, if you've got a question.
[19:39] Ask them.
[19:39] Chug to you.
[19:40] Not on a feed.
[19:41] And I don't know why people ask these things.
[19:43] Yeah.
[19:43] How did you find, obviously, once you figured out that our role as relationship managers isn't to give you marriage advice, how has it been obviously having, you know, someone like myself in your corner holding you accountable?
[19:54] Is it a scare?
[19:54] It might have been scary at the start.
[19:55] Do you still find it scary?
[19:56] Do you find it helpful?
[19:59] joined and they said, you're getting a relationship management.
[20:02] I was like, what the fuck do I need someone to tell me about in marriage?
[20:05] Yeah.
[20:06] But then when I found out.
[20:07] What they actually do.
[20:08] What they actually do.
[20:10] I love it.
[20:11] I love it because having you as a relationship manager, right?
[20:17] Now, can I tell you now, she's annoying me.
[20:19] Okay.
[20:19] Now, in this time, it's great.
[20:22] It is awesome because I want you to say, right, guys, I need you to do this or we're doing this and this is how we can do stuff.
[20:29] Same scenario, like you know about the surprise coming up in June.
[20:32] I do know about a surprise.
[20:33] You know about the surprise.
[20:33] Darren doesn't know about.
[20:34] That's right.
[20:35] So I come to you and I said, do I just pay for that surprise all at once or do we do like, and you said just your buffer, increase it by a bit each time and then take it out of that, make yourself a budget and stick to that budget, but know where you're at.
[20:47] And that's been working perfectly.
[20:49] Yeah.
[20:50] It's going to happen.
[20:51] All done.
[20:52] All paid for.
[20:52] Not have to come back from holidays and think, oh, I've got to pay off that credit card.
[20:55] Where did that come from?
[20:56] It's all done.
[20:57] Everything's still working.
[20:58] All the bills are still getting paid.
[21:00] Still living our lives.
[21:01] No problems whatsoever.
[21:02] I would say to anyone, like, you know, if you're not sure about your relationship manager, pick up the phone, have a conversation with him.
[21:09] Get to know.
[21:10] Or her or that.
[21:11] Get to know the person and that, you know.
[21:13] You know, know about them.
[21:14] And just, if you're up here.
[21:16] Yeah.
[21:17] If you come up and say, hey, we're up here, you know, you've never met the person, meet the person, have it.
[21:22] It's awesome that we met you and we can have this conversation and want to know something.
[21:27] I've asked questions, Zoe will go, no, no, that's all I understand.
[21:30] Connor will be on top of that.
[21:31] Yeah, 100%.
[21:32] Yep.
[21:33] And again, our role here is obviously as much as it is to pull people into line if they are, you know, spending over budget, doing certain things.
[21:39] But we're here to celebrate the WIMs with you guys.
[21:41] We're just as excited when people are paying off their home loans.
[21:43] I think our little like up here at the moment is the first time really that we've touched the bills and salaries count.
[21:51] But that was a WIM spare of a moment thing.
[21:53] Like whereas before you would just go and put it on the credit card.
[21:55] Yeah.
[21:56] Other than that, the bills and salaries is just pretty much the bills and salary.
[21:59] Yeah.
[21:59] I don't think there's nothing that we couldn't ring up and ask you or arrange and have a question and get that answer that we actually need to know.
[22:06] Yeah.
[22:06] That's what I love, that you can answer our questions.
[22:09] If I was to ring my old accountant, I'll get back to you.
[22:13] Yeah.
[22:13] Probably have to look up who you are first.
[22:14] Yeah.
[22:15] And I like that it's not just like where we are and our journey now, like we have community events in each state.
[22:22] They're amazing, like crazy, crazy amazing.
[22:25] The last one we had in February, I...
[22:28] come straight from hospital.
[22:29] Yes, rolled up.
[22:31] Through there for three hours.
[22:32] I wasn't missing out, but hospital help should come in when it was like on.
[22:36] But I said to Dan, pick me up.
[22:37] We'll go for a bit.
[22:39] I think that's a good way to kind of finish this conversation.
[22:41] Tell us in your words, obviously what it's like to be a part of the Infinity Fam.
[22:46] You guys have been around for a little bit longer, which is awesome.
[22:49] So you've had experience with, you know, REMS.
[22:51] You've had experience with multiple Christmas parties, which I'm sure the first one you enter, you didn't think it'd get any better.
[22:56] I didn't think the first one could top it.
[22:58] Last year...
[23:00] Wow.
[23:00] Like that was just.
[23:01] Coachella, that was amazing.
[23:02] Coachella was amazing.
[23:03] Like if you join and you get the opportunity to join, you'll see a lot of your relationship managers there and team.
[23:12] And it's just one big family party and it's with the family.
[23:16] You meet so many amazing people.
[23:18] All on the same journey.
[23:18] Journey.
[23:19] You get to talk to them.
[23:21] Yeah.
[23:21] It's just.
[23:22] Make real friends.
[23:23] Real friends.
[23:23] That will stop you in the middle of the street, apparently.
[23:25] Oh, absolutely.
[23:26] Yeah.
[23:26] So I was just saying, walking the other morning, this crazy man doing a U-bolt over a medium strip.
[23:33] I'm like, what's this fucking idiot doing?
[23:35] And the next minute he's like, I don't want to be weird or something, but I'm listening to the Monumento.
[23:40] And I'm like, all right.
[23:40] And I had my Infinity shirt on.
[23:41] So we stopped and we had a chat for a good 40 minutes.
[23:44] All I know is his name is Matt and he's from Victoria somewhere.
[23:47] Couple on a train.
[23:47] Hi, Matt.
[23:48] Yeah.
[23:49] Hi, Matt.
[23:49] A couple on train yesterday with a disabled son.
[23:52] Told us, yeah, we own our house and we have some money behind us and we're looking to get our son a house.
[23:57] And we see this affinity around all the time.
[24:00] We said to him, get on board.
[24:01] Go watch the webinar.
[24:02] The webinar and you'll love it.
[24:04] It's just, they will help you immensely.
[24:06] We cannot beat it.
[24:08] And I'd like to, that if they can't help, if you guys can't help at the stage for whatever reason, because of old ways, you just give them a plan and say, once you've done that plan, come back.
[24:19] Yeah.
[24:20] And yeah.
[24:20] And that's, that was my story.
[24:21] Do this and then you can help.
[24:22] That's it.
[24:23] You can't beat the events and you go there.
[24:26] It's just this vibe that a family are together.
[24:29] It's like catching up with your own true family that you haven't caught up for years.
[24:34] But you can have the discussions without feeling awkward because sometimes you can't.
[24:37] To a complete stranger.
[24:37] To a complete stranger.
[24:39] We're all on the same journey.
[24:40] That's right.
[24:40] Sometimes you can't bring up financial discussion with people because they get all weird or whatever, but that's not like it here.
[24:47] Everyone wants to know everyone's journey here and advise them and it's awesome.
[24:51] Yeah.
[24:52] Awesome.
[24:52] Well, thank you very much for your time.
[24:54] Thank you for coming up to obviously share your story.
[24:57] I'm very much looking forward to continuing to work with you guys and, you know, continue to add gas to this machine and see where you guys truly end up because, you know, the biggest thing is you guys want it, which is, you know, you're going to get it.
[25:07] Absolutely.
[25:07] With your help, we will.
[25:08] Thank you.
[25:09] Thank you.
