Shownotes We duiken het archief in van Beeld en Geluid en vinden oude programma’s, items en reclame over ‘Japanse tekenfilms’. Denk Pokémon en DragonBall Z, maar ook: hentai. We kijken, reageren en bekritiseren de Nederlandse mediablik op anime en manga. Besproken fragmenten: • Honderd jaar tekenfilm, afl. 13, Jaren ‘70 Japan (VPRO, 1990) • Televisier, manga-video's (extreem gewelddadige Japanse tekenfilms) (AVROTROS, 1994) • Fast Forward, Japanse tekenfilms (EO, 1995) • 2 Vandaag, Pokémon-rage op basisscholen (AVROTROS, 2000) • Het Klokhuis, Japanse mangastrip (NTR, 2001) • Reclame: Pokémon De Film (2000) • Reclame: Pokémon-Flippo’s (2001) • Reclame: Pokémon bij Sunil-wasmiddel (2001) • Reclame: CD Goku’s Choice (2003) • Reclame: Gundam, modellen zonder lijm en verf (2003) • AVRO Kunstuur, ‘Art 2 See’: ‘The world of Manga’ (AVROTROS, 2013) • NOS Stories, Zo word jij RIJK met POKÉMONKAARTEN | De waarheid over Pokémonkaarten (NOS, 2021) Genoemde anime: • La Blue Girl (18+) • DragonBall Z • Pokémon • Akira • Witch Hat Atelier • Smoking Behind The Supermarket Kleine correctie: We dachten dat de getoonde hentai-anime La Blue Girl was, maar bij nader onderzoek bleek het Urotsukidōji: Legend of the Overfiend (1989) te zijn.
