## Transcript

[0:02] A listener production.
[0:06] Well, Ham, this is our remembering project.
[0:08] Yep, where a random day of the year is selected and we look up the run sheets from all our shows from across the years to find any we did on that day.
[0:17] Over 20 years, that's about 2,500 shows and roughly 26,000 talk breaks.
[0:22] Today, we pick one.
[0:24] One talk break only and try to remember what happened based on what was written down on the run sheet from that day.
[0:29] As always, we've got podcast Mike Wurst here for any technical stuff.
[0:32] Hello.
[0:32] Mike, what date was randomly chosen today?
[0:35] It's the 8th of May.
[0:37] Okay, that's Andy's go then.
[0:38] Let's kick it off and find out what years Andy will take us back to and we'll see if we remember anything from those years.
[0:46] This is Hamish and Andy's Remembering Project.
[0:53] Lots of shows, Ham.
[0:54] How many do we do?
[0:55] For the 8th of May.
[0:56] It's right in that meaty part of the year where you're out of the – I remember you're out of the public holidays.
[1:01] Yep.
[1:01] It's not the June holidays yet.
[1:03] I wouldn't be surprised if we did a show, you know, 10 shows of the 8th of May across all the years.
[1:08] Well, lots of good things happened.
[1:09] 2014?
[1:10] Yep.
[1:11] You ran a segment called Who Wants to Be a Drillionaire?
[1:14] This is good stuff.
[1:16] This is the stuff, Mike, that you might have missed and we could bring back.
[1:19] Where apparently you had bought...
[1:21] I think I bought two drills.
[1:22] And you hadn't used either and you wanted me to win one off you.
[1:26] I know, you know what?
[1:27] At a price.
[1:27] I reckon I bought a drill.
[1:29] 2014, was that?
[1:30] Yeah.
[1:31] I know what house we're in.
[1:32] I bought a drill to hang up or to drill a hole in the wall.
[1:37] Brick walls.
[1:37] Had to drill a hole in to sink a hook in.
[1:41] We wanted to put coat hooks up.
[1:42] Mm-hmm.
[1:43] And I bought a non-hammer drill.
[1:45] So I couldn't get into the drill.
[1:47] And I just like ground out dust.
[1:50] Like the drill just turned on and it kind of got caught in there and it just started like grinding out like this cone shape of dust and did not drill a straight line in.
[1:59] And then I remembered, okay, that's a bad drill to have bought.
[2:02] And we gave it away on air.
[2:04] It says in the run sheet that you tried to sell it to me and made me have a quiz to take money off.
[2:11] But anyway, that's not what I want to talk about.
[2:14] 2007, Jessica Alba was on the show.
[2:17] I don't want to talk about that either.
[2:19] I'll talk about it for a sec.
[2:20] Do you remember what happened after that?
[2:23] This brought bad flashbacks for me.
[2:25] Jessica Alba was on for Fantastic Four.
[2:28] That's right.
[2:28] Hadn't we had Jessica Alba on?
[2:30] I'm just thinking Jessica Biel.
[2:31] No, we hadn't had her on.
[2:32] I remember this was early interviews.
[2:36] Just 2007, we were still kind of green.
[2:40] I mean, we never got good at interviewing people anyway, but we were still a little bit fresh.
[2:44] Where we did the radio show was Fox FM on our level and Triple M downstairs.
[2:47] We had to go downstairs to do them.
[2:49] Weren't all of the Fantastic Five in a booth?
[2:53] And it was like a group interview?
[2:54] Yeah, it was.
[2:55] Fantastic Four.
[2:56] Oh, Fantastic Four, was it?
[2:58] Yeah.
[2:59] Who's the Fantastic Five?
[3:00] Is that an Ed Blighton book?
[3:01] Or is that The Magnificent Seven?
[3:03] Famous Five.
[3:04] I've never heard of Fantastic Five.
[3:05] Famous Five?
[3:06] Oh, Mike, there's some Fives out there.
[3:07] Famous Five, Five the Band.
[3:10] Here's the flashback for me, which you might not remember, Ham, but I remember talking to you about it.
[3:15] Five the Kids group?
[3:16] High Five?
[3:18] Never heard of Five.
[3:19] There's heaps of Five.
[3:20] No, I've never heard of Fantastic Five.
[3:23] The Logies were on the Sunday.
[3:25] Yep.
[3:26] You and I had to rehearse on Saturday.
[3:28] Yep.
[3:29] We were staying at Crown because that's what you do.
[3:31] Yep.
[3:32] I got home and my girlfriend at the time, Megan, accused me of flirting with Jessica Albin during the interview.
[3:38] Safe bet.
[3:39] Safe bet.
[3:39] It's like accusing you of being affected by gravity the whole time.
[3:43] And I actually categorically denied it, which… A safe bet.
[3:47] That's why I don't want to listen back to it just in case.
[3:49] But I remember… Oh, well, we've got to find that one, Mike.
[3:52] Just for my own personal record.
[3:54] But I remember telling you the next day and we were walking the red carpet on the Sunday and I was like, it didn't go down well.
[4:00] And Jessica Alba came up to us because we'd had the interview.
[4:03] She remembered.
[4:04] And she was like, hey guys.
[4:06] And I was with Megan just...
[4:08] sitting there on my best behaviour not to engage in anything, you know, just that really… It's a dilemma that most guys face when you're on the red carpet with your girlfriend and some other international super beauty comes up and remembers you.
[4:22] That was my dad flashback from… Yeah, okay.
[4:25] I don't remember that bit but I remember… I mean, I probably remember Alba…
[4:29] going wild flirting with me.
[4:31] I mean, you think back to the time, the hair, the bod, just the magnetism that I would have had to help.
[4:37] Well, it was a similar time that Shannon Elizabeth showed interest in you.
[4:40] She did, didn't she?
[4:41] We dispute that to this day.
[4:42] We do not dispute it.
[4:43] Shannon Elizabeth, do you remember American Pie, Mike?
[4:45] I've no idea who that is.
[4:46] But do you remember American Pie, the franchise?
[4:48] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[4:48] Right, where you're getting warmer.
[4:51] The publicist contacted Sam, our producer, to say that Shannon Elizabeth thought that Hamish was cute, which just flabbergasted us all.
[4:59] Who does she play in the movie?
[5:00] She plays the hot Nadia.
[5:02] She plays the international exchange student.
[5:04] Oh, right.
[5:05] Okay.
[5:05] Wow.
[5:06] Now I've got some.
[5:06] For the first time ever, I think Mike respected me.
[5:12] Anyway.
[5:12] Yeah.
[5:13] And she was in town.
[5:14] This was right in the days when celebrity poker was a hot thing.
[5:17] Yes.
[5:17] Shannon Elizabeth was in town to promote a celebrity poker tournament, which, you know, needs no introduction because it's huge now.
[5:26] But back in those days, that was just a fledgling tournament.
[5:28] Yeah.
[5:29] But then, yeah, she left the studio and went, oh.
[5:31] And then Publis, this is how it worked.
[5:32] Publis got in touch with Sam and I was in there going, are you sure she's got the right person?
[5:37] Of course he was.
[5:38] Couldn't understand, but maybe just once it was the pale, pale chubby guy that had cut through.
[5:44] Did she describe the bad haircut?
[5:46] Is that how you knew?
[5:47] No, she just remembered.
[5:49] No one ever mistakes Hamish and Andy had said it before and she got the name right and she remembered I was attracted to Hamish.
[5:54] No, she was.
[5:55] It got clarified, much to my despite, but yeah.
[5:57] Hamish was like, get her in, make her take a polygraph.
[6:00] This doesn't make any sense.
[6:01] This doesn't make any sense.
[6:04] Ham, 2008.
[6:04] So seven was Alba on this day.
[6:07] Yeah.
[6:08] we revealed what flavour our chip was going to be.
[6:12] Did we?
[6:13] That's a big show.
[6:14] Huge.
[6:14] So for people who don't know, we released a chip.
[6:17] Yeah, that was 2008, the gravy chip.
[6:19] The gravy chip.
[6:20] It's the fastest selling chip of all time for Smiths.
[6:22] Still is.
[6:24] And people got bite behind it.
[6:25] I don't remember what other flavours were even in the running.
[6:28] Here's my guess.
[6:30] I think spaghetti bolognese was in there.
[6:32] Wow.
[6:33] Now knowing what we know and how exciting the gravy chip was,
[6:37] It could never have been anything but the gravy chip.
[6:40] No, exactly.
[6:41] It was the perfect flavour.
[6:42] Because then we went on to get, I think, three types of gravy chip and pick one from that.
[6:46] We did.
[6:46] And that was a little controversial that we went beef gravy.
[6:49] Yeah.
[6:49] But it was still the right choice to make.
[6:51] Oh, yeah, it was mine.
[6:51] Yeah.
[6:52] Because a lot of people are like, no, no, no, chicken gravy.
[6:54] Like, guys, trust us.
[6:56] It's too similar to chicken.
[6:57] Yeah.
[6:57] It's too similar to chicken.
[6:59] That's right.
[7:00] Because, you know, no, but it's chicken and gravy.
[7:02] Yeah, but they've actually tricked you with chicken.
[7:04] That has hints of gravy.
[7:05] What you're really talking about is salt.
[7:07] So chicken flavor is already quite a way along the process to becoming chicken gravy.
[7:13] And we went a beef-based.
[7:15] So as I'm saying, popular day.
[7:16] Popular day, I don't remember anything but spaghetti bolognese.
[7:19] I think that was one of the first suggestions we got from the food scientists at Smith Chips.
[7:23] They went, if you guys want to make your own flavour, we went, I think we just like off the top of our heads went, you couldn't do a spaghetti bolognese chip.
[7:29] And they went, yeah, absolutely we could.
[7:31] Yeah.
[7:31] And that stuck, I remember.
[7:32] That was a front runner.
[7:33] And it was pretty good.
[7:35] It was pretty good, yeah.
[7:37] To be honest, a little lasagnary.
[7:42] Because I remember going in before, we had a day where they came in like just silver, nude, unprinted bags straight from the Smith's factory and we were tasting them.
[7:52] And I'd kind of pre-made up my mind that I wanted spaghetti bolognese because it's my favourite food.
[7:56] But you had to.
[7:57] But lasagna is maybe my 14th favourite food.
[7:59] Yeah.
[8:00] It's a strange thing for it to be so split.
[8:02] Isn't it?
[8:03] It's a similar taste.
[8:03] But it's the bechamel.
[8:05] It's the bechamel cheese.
[8:06] It's the bechamel.
[8:07] That's what gets in there.
[8:08] He says no to bechamel.
[8:08] Yeah.
[8:09] I'm a professional, not a professional.
[8:14] That would have been fun to go back and listen to, but there was something else that came up.
[8:18] Oh, you just thought of what you're doing?
[8:19] No.
[8:19] Oh, right.
[8:20] We're building up to do we remember the reveal?
[8:22] 2009.
[8:25] In Japan.
[8:26] Yes.
[8:27] Tom Hanks was on the show that day.
[8:28] Haven't we really done?
[8:30] We didn't talk.
[8:31] We've talked about Tom Hanks.
[8:32] Yeah, but we haven't.
[8:33] This was the Tom Hanks interview.
[8:34] This was the Tom Hanks interview.
[8:36] I don't want to play it because there's something else that happened in that show in Japan.
[8:39] I hope this is what I think it is.
[8:41] Is it involve my ass?
[8:42] It involves your bottom.
[8:44] Does it involve getting shot?
[8:45] It involves.
[8:46] Does it involve a square word?
[8:48] It's one of the rare.
[8:49] Is he in the room today?
[8:50] He's in the room today.
[8:51] This is one of the chances our mate Tim is here today helping us shoot some of these for online.
[8:57] And I remember this so clearly, Tim.
[8:59] Every time I sit down, I have a bit of a wince of pain because was it for Fred Bassett?
[9:04] Yes.
[9:04] So this is the part that I want to listen back to.
[9:06] So what happens...
[9:08] Hayme used to read a comic on a Friday at the end of every show, every Friday show, called Fred Bassett.
[9:13] I hated the comic.
[9:14] Yeah, but it was, you know, you read it in the paper, a lot of people accused it of not being funny or of missing one cell which contained the punchline.
[9:22] A lot of people just accused it of being...
[9:25] a normal snapshot of a regular dog's life without there being any quote-unquote comedy in it.
[9:30] But when you read it out, that's where you appreciated the subtleties of Fred.
[9:33] Mike, I mean, you were listening to our show at this point.
[9:35] Do you remember Fred Bassett?
[9:36] Yeah, I do.
[9:37] And as someone who reads the emails that come in for this show, the most requested segment to return is definitely Fred Bassett.
[9:44] Bring it back.
[9:45] People are having trouble reading it without the audio element of the cartoon.
[9:48] So it turned into a negotiation where I'd say, I hate this thing so much.
[9:51] If you let me do something to you, you can read your comic.
[9:53] And Haim was steadfast.
[9:55] He fought for his right to read Fred Bassett.
[9:58] And on this particular day, we're in Japan, and I believe, Haim, BB guns were readily available to buy.
[10:04] I bought one as soon as we got off the plane.
[10:06] And I think I bought one for Tim as well.
[10:08] Didn't we have a lot of battles in the corridors and stuff?
[10:10] No, we just had one.
[10:12] I had a lot of hunting Tim.
[10:13] Sorry, I just remembered that.
[10:15] Tim's just pointing to himself.
[10:16] I don't know if you guys remember the not huge Jean-Claude Van Damme movie, Hunted I think it was called, about people that just capture people and set them free in the woods and chase after them and shoot them.
[10:27] That's what I was doing to Tim.
[10:28] On our own.
[10:30] On our travels, Mike, any place we went to where BB guns were available, Hamish had one within four hours of touchdown.
[10:37] American caravan of courage.
[10:38] Yeah.
[10:39] The 13 to 16-year-old and him just came out.
[10:42] Shot out a window accidentally in a motel.
[10:44] Did you ever get charged for that, Timmy?
[10:48] No, no, that was in LA.
[10:50] I ruined all the cushions because I was using them in the shooting range.
[10:53] No, I shut out a window in Georgia and no one ever caught me.
[10:56] No, we drew the curtains and we left and we regret that.
[10:59] We should reach back out to them and it's not the way you'd treat a hotel.
[11:01] Absolutely, on my to-do list, writing it down.
[11:04] But, hey, on this day, I think it was our last day in Japan, Tom Hanks interviewed Gonewell and you wanted to read Fred Bassett and I said, okay, if I can have your BB gun and shoot you while you read it in the bottom, that's fine.
[11:20] At some point, Tim takes the gun.
[11:23] I don't know why.
[11:24] Yeah.
[11:25] So you remember you initiated the shooting?
[11:28] I feel like I was.
[11:29] I can't remember.
[11:30] I think it was Tim going, give us a go, give us a go with like itchy hands.
[11:33] Yes.
[11:34] And then Tim making up for all the hunting that you did in the hotel room.
[11:40] I guess.
[11:40] I guess the hunter became the hunted.
[11:42] He blasted you in the bottom.
[11:44] I also remember a lot of times.
[11:45] We recorded this show because you need a studio to record in and it's not like our radio station had a sister station in Japan.
[11:51] No.
[11:51] We were like in an English school, weren't we?
[11:53] Like a foreign language school that had a studio.
[11:56] I just remember there being kids' paintings and stuff on the wall and some schoolwork being displayed in the corridors.
[12:03] And I just had a – I remember having a flash of that moment because there was junk and stuff in our studio.
[12:08] Like we'd been looking at weird stuff throughout the show.
[12:11] I'm there with my parents down.
[12:13] Tim's shooting my ass.
[12:14] And it just seemed like something that wouldn't normally happen in that room.
[12:18] My feeling is what happened, Mike, is –
[12:21] It's pants off Friday, so Hame's already in his undies.
[12:24] We shoot him in the undies.
[12:26] Tim unloads.
[12:28] At some point… I had a target on my ass too.
[12:30] I think you put a paper target over my ass.
[12:32] At some point, Hame is just saying it's actually really painful.
[12:35] We're unsure whether to believe him.
[12:37] He reveals his bottom and it's welts.
[12:40] It's really bad and blood.
[12:41] I remember actual blood.
[12:42] And that is when… Blood and powerful BB guns.
[12:45] That's when one of the rare times we have a swear word on this show comes up because Tim actually yells a swear word because of his reaction and then we're like, Tim, we've invited you to shoot Hamish and now you're swearing live across the country.
[12:59] I'm not sure if it's beeped.
[13:01] I don't think it would have been.
[13:01] I don't think it was.
[13:02] You couldn't dump it?
[13:03] No, there was no dumping back then.
[13:05] We're coming live from Japan.
[13:07] Like from an English school somewhere in the Shibuya prefecture.
[13:11] And there was no dump button really back then.
[13:13] Kyle Sandilands hadn't misbehaved to the level that the Australian industry needed him to misbehave to before you had a dump button.
[13:20] Oh, so radio didn't broadcast in delay.
[13:22] Oh, it was optional.
[13:23] We weren't delayed for the first, I reckon, first four or five years until Kyle came in.
[13:27] Like the technology existed and you'd heard of it, but it was optional.
[13:31] Yeah.
[13:32] It wasn't, you didn't have to broadcast in delay.
[13:34] Well, yeah.
[13:34] Before we hear it, let's give a little nod to the sponsors.
[13:36] And then on the other side of this, let's see if we can have a listen.
[13:41] Let's go.
[13:42] You ready?
[13:43] Let's head back 11 years.
[13:46] The 8th of May, 2009.
[13:51] Please be quiet.
[13:52] I'm listening to Hamish and Andy.
[13:54] Excellent fun.
[13:56] It is, and thank you very much.
[13:58] Now, Haim, normally on a Friday you ruin it by reading a rubbish comic.
[14:03] I don't remember that.
[14:04] I've never done that.
[14:05] Don't I normally read Fred Bassett, which is an excellent comic?
[14:07] No.
[14:08] And the thing is here, you let your guard down.
[14:12] You're like a kid in a candy store in Japan.
[14:14] It's all lights, and you get excited.
[14:16] Well, I'm a moth.
[14:17] I reckon somewhere in my ancestry I'm part moth, because all the neon has distracted me in Tokyo.
[14:22] Yeah, you're loving it.
[14:23] And you let your guard down like a bad samurai.
[14:27] What happened?
[14:29] I've got your Bassett in my hand.
[14:31] I've got your Fred Bassett coming.
[14:32] It's okay.
[14:32] I've memorised it.
[14:33] It's a great one.
[14:34] I've also got your gun.
[14:37] My air gun.
[14:38] Your air gun.
[14:39] Your air gun, ball bearing gun.
[14:40] Mr.
[14:41] Gun.
[14:41] Mr.
[14:41] Gun.
[14:42] Legal in Australia.
[14:43] You've been terrorising everybody.
[14:45] And for today's Bassett...
[14:46] I don't know if I've been terrorising everybody.
[14:48] Yes, sir, you have.
[14:48] Have I shot you?
[14:49] No, you haven't.
[14:50] I've been...
[14:51] I'm fine.
[14:51] That's why I'm out of this.
[14:52] But I thought for today's Bassett I'd give someone else a chance.
[14:55] Not Tim.
[14:56] Yes, Tim, who was referred to as a Busu Man earlier on in the show.
[14:59] That is his traditional Japanese name, Busu Man.
[15:01] Which stands for Ugly-Faced Man.
[15:03] Or Monkey-Faced Man.
[15:05] Have you given Tim my air gun?
[15:07] He has.
[15:07] Tim can come in.
[15:08] The Busu Man can come in.
[15:10] Oh, no.
[15:11] Andy.
[15:11] If you can go into this microphone.
[15:13] The reason they're illegal in Australia is they're a dangerous weapon.
[15:15] I shot Tim once under the auspices of comedy.
[15:19] He doesn't look happy.
[15:20] He couldn't you ask.
[15:22] Now, Tim, the busselman who helps film that stuff for us, Tim, how many times has Hamish shot you on this trip so far?
[15:31] At least twice.
[15:31] And Andy, was it hilarious?
[15:33] Was it funny?
[15:34] I did.
[15:35] It's three times.
[15:35] We laughed.
[15:36] I did laugh.
[15:37] Now, let's just call it a day.
[15:38] I'll read Bassett and we just put the gun down.
[15:40] Haim, busselman in Tim is allowed to have a go at you with the gun.
[15:46] If you want your Fred Bassett back, you must agree to have a paper target on your bottom.
[15:51] On my bare bottom?
[15:52] On your bare bottom.
[15:55] Oh, God.
[15:57] I mean, it is a really good Fred Bassett today.
[15:59] Oh, my God.
[16:00] I'm getting a paper target taped to my behind.
[16:03] Tim, just you slow down, mate.
[16:05] I don't like the way he holds that gun, Andy.
[16:07] He's too keen.
[16:08] I want the paper tighter so it's on the skin.
[16:11] Okay.
[16:12] Hold your fire.
[16:14] Okay, are you sure you're going to go ahead with this, Anne?
[16:16] I mean, this is an air gun.
[16:18] We've seen it do its work.
[16:19] It leads a welt.
[16:20] They are illegal in Australia.
[16:22] We know we can't take it back this weekend.
[16:25] On one hand, I'm happy that we're getting some use out of it.
[16:27] Yes.
[16:28] On the other, I am sad because I think my bottom will be bleeding.
[16:31] Well, just don't do it, then, and we're going to have a happy Japan time.
[16:33] That's the thing, though, Andy.
[16:34] You haven't seen today's Bassett.
[16:36] It's such a goodie.
[16:37] Well, it's up to you.
[16:39] Pop the tape in.
[16:41] You gotta fight for your right.
[16:45] Listen to Fred Bassett on the radio.
[16:49] All right.
[16:53] This, I can't believe my arse is facing a firing squad.
[16:56] The gun has been caught.
[16:59] Hang on, hang on.
[17:00] Bussleman.
[17:01] Today's Bassett is a four-panel Bassett.
[17:05] It's up to you, Bussleman, whenever you want to go.
[17:07] In the first panel.
[17:10] Fred's looking at... That's really fun.
[17:16] Fred is looking at some food.
[17:19] He's saying, this isn't my bowl.
[17:24] It went in.
[17:26] It went in.
[17:27] I'm not going to be more graphic than that.
[17:30] It actually has penetrated.
[17:33] I have been sexually violated by a ball bearing.
[17:36] A couple of the ninjas from upstairs.
[17:38] We've got the whole bloody station down here watching this.
[17:41] You shot me three times.
[17:44] In the second panel, it's a close-up on Fred's face.
[17:47] So he's gone, this isn't my ball.
[17:48] He's now looking at his food.
[17:49] Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, for the love of... Oh, for the...
[17:54] Ceasefire.
[17:55] Bushman.
[17:56] That's four, and he isn't paid.
[17:58] Fred is looking close up at his food.
[18:00] He's going, these aren't my toky beaks.
[18:02] He's got a very confused expression on his face.
[18:04] He's looking at his food.
[18:05] In the third panel, there are four.
[18:07] There are four panels.
[18:09] Fred is looking back over his shoulder, and now it's a wide shot.
[18:14] He's seen something that us as the viewer don't...
[18:18] It's all in the same spot.
[18:20] You keep shooting me in the same spot.
[18:25] Fred's looking over his shoulder.
[18:27] That was Katie.
[18:27] That's Katie.
[18:28] That's our assistant producer.
[18:31] All right, this is...
[18:33] This is out of control.
[18:34] I am under serious fire.
[18:36] For some reason, Katie has come in and decided to have a go at Amish, maybe because he's a nuisance to work.
[18:41] This is like Bonnie and Clyde.
[18:43] I'm getting peppered.
[18:44] We are running late, Ham.
[18:45] Fred is looking over his shoulder and he's going, Is it the final panel?
[18:48] Hang on.
[18:49] He's going, that would explain things.
[18:51] In the fourth cell.
[18:52] Ham, if you read the final panel, I'm going to ask for another shot.
[18:57] You know how much pain you've been in.
[18:58] But people are hanging for the punchline.
[19:00] No, back out, mate.
[19:01] I'm bleeding.
[19:01] Back out.
[19:03] Fred, in the fourth cell, he's seen another woman.
[19:06] She's looking angry.
[19:07] She's pointing at Fred to get off her property, and Fred goes, this isn't my house.
[19:11] That's why it's not his... That's why it's not his food.
[19:15] That's why it's so funny.
[19:17] He was at the wrong house.
[19:19] Oh, please.
[19:21] Platinum Basset.
[19:23] Basset.
[19:25] Oh, bless you, man.
[19:27] Platinum Basset.
[19:30] If we can examine the damage there.
[19:32] How on target was he?
[19:34] Let's pull it back.
[19:35] Oh, jeez.
[19:37] Oh, jeez.
[19:38] That is a swear word.
[19:40] That is a swear word from the Busu Man.
[19:42] Tim, it's one thing to let you on the show to shoot me with an air gun.
[19:46] It's another thing to use salty language.
[19:49] Apologies for young ears.
[19:50] I can't believe the words.
[19:51] Andy-san, what a way to end the people's holiday to Japan.
[19:54] You're not going to be able to sit... Hopefully they have a standing position on the plane home because that is something terrible.
[20:01] I have been assaulted.
[20:02] That's why those guns are illegal in Australia.
[20:04] Look at the website, hamishnandy.com.
[20:05] We will have pictures there.
[20:07] We have gone over time in the sense that, I mean, we're about 80 years in the future here in Japan anyway with the level of technology.
[20:14] Hamishnanny.com.
[20:16] The photos will be up shortly.
[20:17] Busu Man, you're in a lot of trouble when that gun goes back to Hamish.
[20:21] Thank you for being with us.
[20:22] Photos of Tom Hanks.
[20:23] The whole interview will be podcast at hamishnanny.com.
[20:27] And we'll be back on Monday with more events from Japan as well as Hamish visiting the infirmary.
[20:33] So his derriere can be repaired.
[20:34] Ladies and gentlemen, this brings to a close the People's Holiday to Japan.
[20:37] Thanks for joining us.
[20:38] Sayonara.
[20:39] You need to drink a lot of Jesus Body, my friend.
[20:41] I'm going to need some real Jesus Body.
[20:42] I'm going to hit the sake straight away.
[20:44] Have a great weekend.
[20:45] Sayonara.
[20:47] Oh, jeez.
[20:48] What was...
[20:49] I mean, there's a lot to unpack.
[20:49] There is a lot to unpack.
[20:50] What was Jesus Body?
[20:51] Was that a drink that we must have been trying?
[20:53] I guess it was.
[20:54] How's the radio training on this young guy, though?
[20:56] Under fire, injured, reverts back to his training, website push.
[20:59] So...
[21:01] You're so professional.
[21:03] I've been injured.
[21:04] I'm bleeding.
[21:04] The good news is, hamishandy.com.
[21:06] You can see it.
[21:07] Check it out.
[21:07] You can see my body.
[21:08] We'll be uploading at ASV.
[21:10] I know what you're here for, you vultures.
[21:11] No one cares about my ass.
[21:13] You just want pictures.
[21:14] Isn't it funny to remember back in the days too when it was like, if you want to see a picture of us with Tom Hanks, hit the website.
[21:19] I wonder how many people would like.
[21:21] Well, I've heard the interview.
[21:22] I had some enjoyment.
[21:23] Gee, I'd love to see a picture of them all with their arms around each other smiling awkwardly like Tom Hanks has done 500 times that day.
[21:28] Yeah, Tom Hanks' most fake smile he's very used to doing.
[21:32] Radio station websites existed for that.
[21:35] That's the only content they existed for.
[21:37] Would you like to see the guys from the show hugging the people they've talked to?
[21:44] Yes.
[21:45] Mike, does that pass the test of time as a segment?
[21:49] To me, just hearing guys basically hurt each other.
[21:53] I don't feel like you would hear that on radio.
[21:54] I wonder how I would feel driving home from work now listening to that.
[21:58] Yeah, I think, like, you couldn't do that on radio now.
[22:01] You wouldn't be allowed to.
[22:02] I don't think so.
[22:04] There's a lot of aspects to that.
[22:05] There's a lot of just we're shooting each other with illegal weapons and we're going to get drunk to solve it.
[22:09] And we called our friend Tim a busi man the entire trip, which is probably workplace bullying.
[22:14] Not really.
[22:17] Isn't there a truth defence?
[22:18] No, he's here till he's still happy.
[22:20] Well, I mean, what?
[22:22] He's giving us a thumbs up.
[22:24] The bum has repaired, though, Han.
[22:25] Bum's completely repaired.
[22:26] I've seen it since.
[22:27] It's in Topnik.
[22:28] Hamishaddy.com if you want to see a fresh bum.
[22:31] Great remembering, mate.
[22:33] Good remembering.
