这则成语出自战国·郑列御寇《列子·说符》中的一则寓言，《吕氏春秋·去尤》记载了一篇类似寓言。故事听起来好笑，却是人们很爱犯的错误。小朋友们碰到事情不要说：“我觉得这一定是他干的。”“觉得”是不可靠的，必须有客观事实的根据，否则是不能随意怀疑别人的。
