[0:09] You're listening to Crowning Ignorant Kings, a podcast for citizens with like minds who
[0:15] love God, follow Christ, and have a desire to be an ambassador for
[0:20] the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. We are John and Charlene Donaldson, who
[0:25] are teachers building a Kingdom community. Thank you again for joining us. Now
[0:30] let's suggust our crowns. I think it's very clear that whenever a year passes,
[0:43] time passes, and I just wanted to quickly remind you of what this
[0:48] year should be for all of us. First of all, a new year
[0:54] gives us an opportunity to redefine our priorities. So I want you to make
[1:03] a note of that and make a decision the next few days to take a
[1:07] review and take stock of your life. Are the things I'm doing important or
[1:14] just urgent? Don't confuse urgent things with important things. Secondly, a new
[1:25] year gives an opportunity for us to redefine our purpose. Are we still on
[1:34] course for what we were born to do? A new year also gives us
[1:44] opportunity to redefine our life's vision. Do we know exactly what we want to
[1:53] do for the next twenty five years? Are were still in line with our
[2:04] clear vision for our lives. Is that vision on paper still has it been
[2:09] refined? I'm doing that myself for my own life. A new year also
[2:17] gives opportunity for us to re establish worthwhile goals. That's why I say worthwhile,
[2:27] not the way they should be worth your while. You can establish goals
[2:32] that waste your time because they don't take you toward your vision. So go
[2:39] back and don't be afraid to mock out some things that don't make sense.
[2:46] Don't be afraid to give up on things that are not important anymore. Don't
[2:49] be afraid to confess that I was off with that. Let me get back
[2:53] on. It's better to do it now than to try and do it later.
[2:59] A new year also gives us opportunity to bury the past and to move
[3:07] into a future that we haven't created yet. So please get over it.
[3:19] Tell your neighbor get over it. Tell him whatever it was, get over
[3:24] it right now in this meeting. Yeah, leave all the baggage you had
[3:32] in two ten. In two ten, loose yourself, cut off all the
[3:38] weight, get rid of stuff that has been distracting you, and forget the
[3:46] past. That's what the new year does. It's a powerful change. I
[3:59] talked about redeeming the time, and this is so important. I want you
[4:04] to turn your Bible through Ephesians. I want you to turn there in your
[4:09] own bible. Ephesians chapter five. Ephesians five gives great advice about your life.
[4:20] It begins out by saying wake up. Paul was not talking to sleeping
[4:30] people physically. He was speaking to people who were sleeping through life. Mundane,
[4:42] boring, day to day routine, same traffic jams, same clothes,
[4:48] same friends, same activities, same habits, same TV shows. He say,
[4:56] wake up and be walking in sleep. You can spend years sleep walking.
[5:10] Look at that verse, take your pen, underline it in your bible.
[5:15] Wake up, oh sleeper. Arise. That means get yourself up.
[5:25] A rise means no one's gonna change your condition. A rise is self initiated
[5:33] action. Nothing will change this year until you change it. Wake up.
[5:45] How many of you ever wake up but didn't arise? Some of your did
[5:49] this morning. Some of y'all woke up at seven and still came to church
[5:57] at ten because you woke up, but you didn't arise. You know,
[6:03] people love to come to watch night services to wake up. But then when
[6:11] the meeting is over, they go back to sleep. The whole year.
[6:23] Arise after you wake up, and then he says, and let Christ shine
[6:31] upon you. Christ means the anointed King. Shine means exposure. When you
[6:42] wake up and you get up, he'll show you everything you've been doing wrong.
[6:47] He will expose all of your bad decisions, your irresponsible behavior. He
[6:55] will show you how you've been lazy in certain areas of your life last year,
[7:00] all the wrong company you've been keeping. He'd exposed how you waste money.
[7:05] Imagine if you had saved some of that money lives year, he shines
[7:12] on us. Wake up good, get up fine, and here's what's wrong,
[7:20] he says. Now once you wake up and your rise, and he
[7:27] shows you what's lacking in your life. The good news is this, it
[7:30] says, be careful how you walk away from the bed. The bed is
[7:38] where you've been sleeping all last year. Your life is your bed. The
[7:44] lifestyle is your bed. Have you been sleeping with habits all year? And
[7:49] God says, walk away from the bed, walk away from the lifestyle.
[7:56] Why because last year was a time element, It was twelve months. Now
[8:05] you got twelve months ahead. Of you one more time, and it says,
[8:11] do not be unwise, but be what wise right? The word wisdom
[8:18] down, wise, wisdom. This is what God is saying to you this
[8:26] year. Everybody say wisdom, say wise. The word wisdom. Here's what
[8:31] it means. Write it down. It means applied knowledge, applied knowledge.
[8:43] Wisdom is different from knowledge and understanding. Knowledge is information. Wisdom is different.
[8:54] Understanding is comprehension, but wisdom is application. God didn't say, arise
[9:05] and walk away from your old life with knowledge because you already got so much
[9:11] knowledge last year. The teaching that you've got is enough for people to fly
[9:20] from the congo and give a testimony. And you're still stuck with some habits.
[9:35] Can I suggest that this year should be maybe in your life, the
[9:39] year of application? Say it. This is the year of practical life.
[9:48] With everything the theories, the principles and all this great revelation you've gotten from
[9:52] God and the Kingdom. God said, I want you to apply them this
[9:56] year. I want bisdom this year. Why I got the next statement he
[10:01] says. The next verse says redeeming the time, because you ain't got long
[10:09] to live. This term days are evil means days are short. That's what
[10:16] it means. This same statement is found in the Book of Ecclesiasities, chapter
[10:20] twelve, the last chapter actually, and it says, remember now, thy
[10:24] Creator, in the days of your youth, while the evil days come.
[10:28] Not that means your years are not cut off. He says, wake up,
[10:33] redeem the time, because you ain't gonna live as long as you think.
[10:43] He's trying to give us a consciousness of death. Do you know what
[10:50] motivates me? My death? There's one thing you can be sure of.
[11:01] You will die. Okay, get over that. Accept that now. Once
[11:07] you get that clad off on your mind, I'm gonna die, then you
[11:09] back up and then you start living sensibly. Right. Yeah, death is
[11:18] a great motivator. Every time I think of doing something that God challenges me
[11:31] to do and I'm afraid to do it, he always reminds me, how
[11:35] long will you be dead? Let me say it another way too. For
[11:39] some of you who are putting things off. Maybe you wanted to go on
[11:45] a cruise all your life, and you keep saying someday I'll do it,
[11:54] and that's been ten years. M Imagine going to heaven and never been on
[11:58] a cruise. We're going to the Holy Land in June this year, and
[12:07] some of you saying I ain't got no money. List, then you ain't
[12:09] gonna never have the money. God doesn't work with money. God works with
[12:18] decisions and desires. Write it down. I just gave you important principle.
[12:26] God doesn't provide money first, He works with desires and decisions. God never
[12:37] says I will give you what you got money to pay for. Doesn't No,
[12:48] He says, acknowledge me, and I will give you the desires that
[12:58] are in your mind. So when you wanna do something in life, first
[13:11] you gotta desire it. Now, desire is a deep word because desire means
[13:16] you are passionate, commit it, dedicate it, and won't quit till you
[13:20] get something. Is that how bad you wanna go to Israel? Or is
[13:24] it just a tour? See? Desires means that you are willing to pay
[13:31] a price. Then God provides the price. God doesn't give you what you
[13:41] are interested in. Is he gives you what you are passionate for. Casual
[13:50] faith will never attract God. Passionate faith attracts God. Provision redeem the time
[14:03] for the days are evil. In other words, living a way where every
[14:07] day is of deal passion. Redeeming the time means I am going to get
[14:13] back everything that I lost by bad use of time. Look at verse seventeen.
[14:22] It says, wherefore be not foolish, but it's foolish, okay.
[14:28] It wise means to apply knowledge. That foolish means what to get knowledge,
[14:33] but to apply it. A lot of God is saying, there's some very
[14:37] educated fools. I don't think anybody perhaps in this country. And I hope
[14:48] I don't get in trouble for saying this. I received so much revelation then
[14:54] people who come to this place. So knowledge your problem. Now I'm now,
[15:07] please don't stone me, but let's read. Regard says okay, verse
[15:11] seventeen, wherefore do not be foolish. Don't look now, there's one way
[15:18] behind you. A foolish person could have a lot of knowledge. It's like
[15:24] a smoking doctor. Am I right? A smoking doctor is a fool.
[15:33] He knows what cigarettes will do, but he smokes, so he has knowledge
[15:39] but no wisdom. HM. So don't think ignorance makes you fool. Knowledge
[15:52] makes you fool cause knowledge increases your capacity to be a fool. Are you
[16:07] getting it? Tell your neghbor. You should have never come to this place
[16:14] on Jesus. Jesus said to the disciples, I'm the Phariasees. He said
[16:21] to the phira seesars Christ, he said, if I have not come to
[16:23] you unspoken my words to you, you would be excused in your sins.
[16:30] But because I have come to you and I have told you the truth,
[16:36] you will die in your sin. He says, Wake up. He says,
[16:48] this year must be a year that you redeemed the time, because you
[16:51] ain't got much of it. Jesus died at thirty years old. How old
[16:56] are you? He did so much in three years, embarrasses us. His
[17:03] ministry lasted three years, and he saved the whole world in three years.
[17:06] That's what I call using your time. How long you been living? Redeeming
[17:18] the time? Because he says, if you don't, you'll be foolish.
[17:22] The next statement, read it, but understand what the will of the Lord
[17:26] is. He shifts to purpose. He says, find out God's will for
[17:30] your life, so you can stop wasting your time, your energy, your
[17:36] gifts, your talents, your wonderful, beautiful presence on the wrong people.
[17:44] The will of God supposed to dictate your schedule. The will of God supposed
[17:49] to dictate your company. Can you imagine that? Says the will of God
[17:55] should tell you who to be with, who not to be with. And
[17:57] I told you the other night, folks ain't gonna like the fact that you
[18:00] don't wanna be with them. It's okay to leave people. Not everybody's supposed
[18:10] to be with you, So stop trying to get anyone to like you.
[18:14] Choose your company based on your destiny. Jesus Christ chose his friends. He
[18:26] left his family and chose his friends. Some of you left your family and
[18:30] came to this church. Do you know why? Because I am good company.
[18:36] Hopefully that you are being helped and elevated and encouraged and challenged to become
[18:42] great. Sometimes it's terrible to go home. For some of you, going
[18:48] home is a is a coming down because you gotta be among people who always
[18:55] complaining, finding fault, always negative. I mean, it's like you want
[19:00] to stay on the mountain. You have to protect your life. It says,
[19:11] understand the will of God, and then he says, and be not
[19:17] drunk with wine. Now. Back there in Paul's day, they used a
[19:23] smoke weaf reefer. I am sure they had opium in that part of the
[19:30] world. I'm sure and they still do. They had marijuana, they had
[19:34] cocaine, et cetera. Now we are amazing people. We outlaw marijuana,
[19:44] cocaine and there's other stuff, but we legalize what Paul say, the most
[20:00] dangerous drugs in the Bahamas is alcohol. Did you know that? Asks any
[20:07] doctor? We legalize the worst one because that one is so subtle. You
[20:15] know, when you stuck up some cocaine, you get hit right away,
[20:17] bomb head gone. You stuck on arico, f few dice, whooh,
[20:23] all of a sudden you see colors and everybody's cool. But when you drink
[20:27] one bear, you don't feel nothing, second bear nothing you think, you
[20:33] think you're cool. And by the time the fifth bear hits you and the
[20:37] half a coup of dumenet and some standard what a standard? You don't what
[20:45] knows standard is people in Nigeria? You know standard is standard? Standards is
[20:52] the alcohol in the Obamas. When you open the bottle, smokers come out.
[20:57] Some of y'all doing talking about you to drink that passes. Look,
[21:03] if you drink or you take anything that disturbs your mental faculty. If you
[21:10] take anything that disturbs your focus, he says, you are destroying your time.
[21:19] I've known people who were in base houses for weeks. A base house
[21:25] is a house where people go to take drugs when other drug users. They
[21:32] can spend months in there that life goes by. Any habit that controls your
[21:42] life is a time stealer. It may not be alcohol, It may not
[21:51] be drugs. It can be pornography. It can be a prostitution male and
[22:00] female. Anything habitual is dangerous. It's the time stealer. Let me prove
[22:11] that for you. This is very interesting. Uh. The word redeem,
[22:17] redeem the time is important. Way to talk about this the other night.
[22:18] Redeem means to to own something. If I say to you, redeem your
[22:25] time, what do I mean to take ownership of it? Again? Get
[22:29] it? That means you cannot allow this year for anyone or anything to control
[22:36] your time that is not important to your purpose. The word redeem also means
[22:41] to fulfill a pledge. It also means to convert into value. To redeem
[22:45] money or to redeem something that someone owes you means that they actually bring it
[22:48] back to you. Redeem the time means you go back and get the time
[22:53] that was stolen last year. That means you stop letting people use your life.
[23:00] The last one I thought was very interesting. Redeem means to repossess something.
[23:06] Redeem the time for the days I evil. Repossess time? Why cause
[23:10] you ain't got long to live? It says God. He creates life with
[23:14] time, and your life is your time. And whatever you dream of your
[23:18] time, that's your life. So anyone, no, anything that consumes your
[23:26] time is consuming your life. Some people are parasites. They suck your time.
[23:36] M it's gonna be a good year. You gonna repossess your life.
[23:44] Say it loud. I will repossess my life. How? How? How?
[23:48] How I'm gonna control my time again? Yeah? I will sit down
[23:53] and read the Bible every morning for one hour. You gotta control that hour.
[23:59] Oh, I will go to prem me every Monday at this church.
[24:03] What I'm gonna control that time again? I'm gonna be a church at nine
[24:07] point thirty to worship God's a corporate effort. Why I wanna control the time
[24:11] again? We've lost control? Redeem the time. Here's something I thought was
[24:21] interesting. Uh. The translation of this verse is found po wrote this verse
[24:26] three or three or four times in different books and Glossians four. He says,
[24:30] walk in wisdom toward those who are what outside, redeeming the time.
[24:34] Walking what wisdom toward who? He said, Look, when you walk out
[24:38] of your house, a lot of people unsay outside means unsaved people. They're
[24:42] not a part of the kingdom, he said, walk with them wisely?
[24:45] Why because they will eat your time up. Look at that verse. Wisdom
[24:52] means what applied knowledge, he said, when you, when you, when
[24:56] you meet people, kick your knowledge in fast. Let me see person making
[25:00] sense. Some folks want an appointment to talk foolishness. You're listening to me.
[25:08] There are some folks who wanna take you on a date, and they
[25:11] ain't got no sense. There are some people who wanna marry you just spend
[25:22] the rest of their life parasitingly you. It's a new word, sucking your
[25:27] life out of your life. Man, you deal with people, he says,
[25:37] be wise, protect your time, save with me, Protect your time.
[25:42] There are some friends who ain't friends. You know that two thousand and
[25:48] ten is the year to take stock, do some inventory and throw some old
[25:52] things out of the warehouse. And it might be people. It might be
[25:57] habits. It might be a routine that ain't working. Look at this next
[26:04] verse and Colossians four or five. He says, read it for me.
[26:07] Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders. Make the most of every
[26:12] opportunity. Ladies and gentlemen. When you walk out of this building today and
[26:18] you meet someone in the low, but you just check the same as an
[26:19] opportunity, because not everything that presents itself to you is an opportunity. I
[26:29] discovered something about the devil. Write this down. The Devil's greatest weapon is
[26:34] good things. But then I say, the devil's greatest weapon against the kingdom
[26:45] citizen is good things. See the devil, No, you ain't stupid enough
[26:52] to do bad things, so he won't tempt you to do bad things.
[26:56] You're too smart for that. So what he does is he it gives you
[27:00] good things to do that I'm not right for you. Why cause all the
[27:07] devil wants is your time. Because he knows your time is your life.
[27:18] Have you so Satan will get you to do a lot of good things.
[27:22] Preoccupy you. Preoccupation is dangerous. He will get you working on things that
[27:32] God never told you to do. And they are all good things, and
[27:36] when you're over, no one even knew you lived. The secret to protecting
[27:47] your time is knowing your purpose, because your purpose protects you from doing good
[27:53] things at the expense of right things. This is why you can say no
[28:00] in life very easily. No. It's only possible when yes is known.
[28:11] Say Loah, listen to me this year, beginning this week, I promise
[28:18] you there'll be a lot of opportunities come in your way. Some of them
[28:22] are demonically dressed in good stuff. All kinds of deals will come across your
[28:30] desks, business ideas, options, alternatives, offers, and you gotta have
[28:37] the spirit of God to desern because the devil is after your time. You
[28:45] know, sometimes you think that want to kill you. Don't wanna kill you.
[28:47] You just wanna kill your time because your time is your life. Worshiping
[28:57] God is a good thing, isn't it. Well? King Saul tried that,
[29:06] you remember King Saul. King Saul was told by God to go into
[29:11] a city, take the city, and kill all the animals in the city.
[29:15] While they were killing the animals, he ran into some beautiful sheep.
[29:19] He told the soldiers, don't kill those ones. He says, I want
[29:22] to use them to worship God with. Wow. Now is that a bad
[29:29] thing? That's a good thing? And the Bible says, he brought the
[29:32] sheep back to the camp, and the prophet Samuel came to visit because the
[29:36] Lord told him to go and check what this man did. He was a
[29:38] king. And the prophet said to Samuel, did you obey the lord?
[29:42] Admit the sual? Did you pay the Lord? And Saul says, yes,
[29:45] I obeyed the Lord. I did what the Lord said. And Simon
[29:49] says, then if you obey the Lord, what is that bleeding? I
[29:52] hear behind the tent and his explanation is your explanation. Very often we tell
[30:04] God what it's good for him. I'm doing this for you God, ll
[30:11] look, it ain't what you do for me? Is what I tell you
[30:15] to do. He took a good thing and destroyed the right thing. And
[30:25] the prophet says, because you disobeyed God, you are no longer king.
[30:33] And then that's when he made this statement. You here. Often, he
[30:36] said, King Saul, don't you know it is more important to obey God
[30:45] than to wish of God? Wow, obedience is better than sacrifice. Everybody
[30:56] say, obedience obeying the laws of God more important than singing in the choir.
[31:03] Obeying the laws of God is more important than preaching in the pulpit.
[31:10] God fired many preachers long time ago. Do you know when I saw I
[31:14] was fired, he was still were on the ground. Oh yeah, it
[31:17] wrongs up there God, and know who they are. They fired long time
[31:22] Why because they would rather worship than obey. He says, Look, not
[31:33] every opportunity is good, So live your life to make sure that everything you
[31:37] do is an opportunity that's worth your time. This year, manage your time.
[31:45] I thought this was interesting. Probably sixteen says what to man belongs the
[31:51] plans of the heart, But God gives the answer of the tongue. This
[31:56] verse tells us that God doesn't plan your life, you plan it. But
[32:05] then the chapter this book says, many other plants in a man's heart,
[32:09] but the Lord's purpose will prevail. So you should make your plans based on
[32:15] the purpose of God. Once you know God's vision and plan for your life,
[32:19] once you know God's passion for your life. And this year you're gonna
[32:22] find it again, I promise you. When you read the book on Authority,
[32:24] it's gonna make sense, because there's an area of authority you were born
[32:30] with that makes you dangerous, and once you find it, you become free
[32:36] from people. And that position of authority is what gives you the power to
[32:43] make plans. And like this worse many are the plans in a man's heart.
[32:49] But it is the lord's answer of the tongue that brings it to past.
[32:53] Now this this statement answer the answer of the tongue, or reply to
[32:58] tongue, it means explanation. Let me explain that. God says, Look,
[33:02] I will give you some dreams and ideas. They're gonna be very massive.
[33:07] I want you to write them down. I didn't ask you to pay
[33:12] for them. I ask you to write them down. To man belongs the
[33:15] plans. God doesn't write your life's plan for you. You have to write
[33:21] it. He gives you the desires, he gives you the passions. He
[33:23] gave you the dreams and the vision. You write the plan down, he
[33:28] says, and then I will reply re reply on how it's gonna be paid
[33:31] for. The reason why we don't pursue vision and plans is because we think
[33:37] we can also find the money first, or we gotta find the people or
[33:42] we gotta find the equipment. God said, no, no, no,
[33:44] it doesn't work that way. You take my dream, my assignment, my
[33:50] authority in your life, and you put it on paper. You put it
[33:52] on a plan, He says, Then I will explain how it's going to
[33:55] be done. Stop being afraid to write your dream. Look at the next
[34:06] verse in the same chapter, probably sixteen three, it says, commit your
[34:09] way to the Lord, and whatever you do shall succeed. All your plans
[34:15] will succeed. First you get the plans from God's purpose, you put them
[34:19] on paper. God it don't worry but how it's gonna be paid. And
[34:21] then he says, I'll make sure they succeed. He didn't tell you how
[34:25] long, eh, but he guarantees you a result. The Lord says,
[34:35] he works on everything for his own ends. God works so how many things
[34:46] some of you ventrough some difficult moments in twenty ten because okay, no problem,
[34:52] I'm gonna use that. I'm gonna use that for something. Everybody experience,
[34:58] every good experience, whatever, I'm gonna work for your end in the
[35:00] end, So you forget it and he'll fix it. He is going to
[35:07] take everything that you thought was a big mistake. He could turn it into
[35:10] a big miracle. Yeah, the job you had for twenty years you lost
[35:22] the last year. Gods had no problem. I'm gonna work this out for
[35:25] your for my own end, he says, my own end, his end.
[35:30] He has a plan out a person for your life, and all the
[35:34] stuff that you go through. He takes it and he puts it into his
[35:37] plan. He said, I'm gonna work this in. I'm gonna use this
[35:39] as an asset. How can you use How can God use a deficit as
[35:44] an asset? Only God can turn a wonder into a wonderful. He is
[35:52] gonna use what you lost to be the source of gain. I'm talking to
[35:59] somebody here. All that you thought. You tried so hard and you still
[36:05] lost everything. God said, no, I'm gonna work this. Look at
[36:07] that worse. I'm'a work everything for my end. His vision for real life
[36:17] cannot be stopped. Last person, I wanted to read from Proverbs this look
[36:23] at verse nine, same chapter, read aloud for me in his heart.
[36:29] A man makes the plans of his cause, but the Lord determines the steps
[36:35] of that plan. Now steps are under God's control. Joseph saw his plan
[36:45] to sit on the throne as a king. But he never had an idea
[36:50] but the steps. Now, let me tell you something I figured out for
[36:52] God long time ago. So I don't work, but there is nothing in
[36:55] my life. God would always show your destiny. He'll show you your purpose.
[37:00] He'll show you your end. He will never show you the plan.
[37:07] I'm gonna say it again. God will show you your vision. He'll show
[37:10] you your destiny. He will show you your end. He'll show you all
[37:14] the great future you have. He'll let you see details. Wow. He'll
[37:17] never show you how to get there. Here's why. Because the purpose is
[37:27] the end, but the plan is the process. And God will not show
[37:31] you the process and the plan because if you know the processing plan, you
[37:37] won't want the purpose anymore. You know what i mean. In other words,
[37:44] if Joseph I'd seen Okay, I'm going to throw in praise the Lord.
[37:46] First, you gotta get your tall clothes torn off. Your brothers will
[37:51] cuss you, they put you in a pit, you become a slave,
[37:53] They put you in jail, the woman lie on you. Then you get
[37:57] to the throne because Joe said, listen, you can keep that. Forget
[38:00] that. I'm gonna stay. I'm'a be a shepherd right here in the bush.
[38:07] The steps He controls the steps. Could you imagine that being in a
[38:13] pit was a step? What am I doing down here in the dumb job?
[38:17] Cause that's a step, just a step, not in the end.
[38:22] You you saw the end, so this can be the end, cause you
[38:24] already saw the vision. So where you are gotta be just a step,
[38:32] So you don't panic if you are in a step. Matter of fact,
[38:37] I want you to go to work on Tuesday and tell everybody I'm stepping in
[38:44] here. They said, what you're doing here? Just a step? Child?
[38:53] Some I gonna need to hear that right now. Some of you lost
[38:59] your business to go back to a job. God says, look that's fine.
[39:02] All this is in the plan. I work it, all this in
[39:05] for it, My goodness said, not of yours, and the step is
[39:07] mine? Right. You don't panic if you know your purpose. Purpose gives
[39:22] you patience, write it down. If you know what you see is not
[39:27] what you saw, then what you see is temporary. What did you see
[39:38] ultimately? What did you dream of ultimately doing? See? That's you keep
[39:44] that in your mind. You know how many years until Joseph to get to
[39:47] that place. I always imagine i'm'a i'm'a do a movie one time with Joseph.
[39:53] I saw this moving my mind. I saw Joseph man close torn off.
[40:00] Joe stayed in the pit and had to pee in the pit. He
[40:05] had to urinate in the pit. He had to pass his refuse in the
[40:07] pit. This guy came with the pit stink while he's stuck in the pit.
[40:15] When he came out, here was smelly, he was ugly, he
[40:19] was messed up. And then they tied him to a camel in the desert,
[40:24] and they took him all the way through the Sinai desert, stiggering under
[40:30] the heat of the Arabian sun, scorched lips, patched here, sun,
[40:37] belching and burning his feet. And every time the camera drop a load,
[40:42] he gotta walk in it. Oh but you see that was just a step
[40:45] on his way to a throne. Anybody following a camera this morning. Beat
[40:58] out to me, don't worry about the camel, keep on trucking. Give
[41:01] God a hand. He knows where you're going. The Lord determines the steps.
[41:14] Now you got the plan, Clap you you know the plan? He
[41:15] said, but the Lord determines the steps. Where are you at right now?
[41:20] You know the step you in? You know? I remember being on
[41:23] my captain doctor Doctor's at the airport. Now. Uh doctor told me,
[41:27] he said, past the miles, We've arrived at the destination. Pastor,
[41:31] he said, but they put us in a holding pattern. Mm. Everybody
[41:37] say, I'm arrived, but I'm on a holding pattern. Sometime when the
[41:40] God, why m I just stuck up here? Nothing's time to God said,
[41:43] I got a hold in patent. Why I trying to class some things
[41:45] on the ground. Oh hallelujah, there's some things God's fixing before you lined
[41:59] r wait on the Lord be of good courage. And again I say,
[42:06] just hold the pattern, Just hold the pattern, Just hold the pattern.
[42:09] Why are you working here? I just holding the pattern. Baby, just
[42:13] hold the paton. Why you come back here? I just hold in the
[42:15] pattern, holding the pattern. Some you be waiting for a long time for
[42:20] a breakthrough. I believe this meeting today, the first Sunday is the day
[42:23] the miracle arrives. Lift your hands right now by faith and say, Lord,
[42:28] today it arrives. I receive it. Rendezvou sakatuba. Everybody said,
[42:37] landing time. You know, listen, I round time to land. No
[42:39] one can stop you from London. The tower is in control. How about
[42:45] a shout out by myself. Ay arabo sat rakta. It's landing time for
[42:51] some of you. January gonna be such a beautiful change. You're gonna say,
[42:57] Wow, I'm finally on the ground. No more resistance. He determines
[43:06] the steps. He knows where you are. He know you are in the
[43:12] pit. Matter of fact, the pit was blinded. My wife and I
[43:19] run to Egypt. I'll never forget the guy told us. In Egypt,
[43:22] he says, doctor Monroe. See not there, that's the that's the sinny
[43:25] eye. Desert as far as I could see was signed and mountains, nothing,
[43:30] no green, no trees. He said, that's where they had to
[43:34] walk to get to Israel. He said, the same part Joseph took to
[43:38] come to Egypt. We were in Egypt. He said, there's no water
[43:44] out there. But the only water they can get her there is when the
[43:47] rain falls up far north in the mountains. It runs down the mountains and
[43:52] of the pears in the desert or of nowhere, and it's only therefore but
[43:57] two hours. Say you gotta catch it cause it dries up. So what
[44:02] they did they would dig big holes in the desert, big massive holes in
[44:06] the desert right red. The stream would come from the mountain, and when
[44:09] the mountain dropped the water down, they would come into the desert and they
[44:14] would fill the hole. They'll cover it up, And they held water in
[44:16] the desert. That's what God member, and he says, I will give
[44:21] you springs in the desert. That means there's some rain somewhere. Oh excuse
[44:28] me, I just felt something. Oh sha kanda budah my seat ted.
[44:34] The Lord just spoke to me just now. He said, you know your
[44:37] praise brings. The clouds just fell a revelation, so why do you praise
[44:45] them? One morning I said, okay, you can eat collecting the clouds,
[44:50] he said, and the clouds will drift to the mount of the Lord.
[44:52] And by April, all of a sudden, you're gonna see some water
[44:57] in your life up here. But it was your praise coming back in the
[45:00] form of a blessing. Come on, somebody, give God a glorified praise.
[45:05] He's gonna bring it back, Oh Lord of Mercy, that's why he
[45:10] says, bless me in the prison. Why he collecting clouds? And so
[45:21] they said that these holes were always right where the big roads came between Egypt
[45:29] and Syria. You know, Israel is right on the way, he said.
[45:34] When they placed Joseph in the pit, his brothers didn't realize that the
[45:38] pit they put him in was on the highway to Egypt, and caravans were
[45:45] coming back and forth, taking trading material back and forth from Syria all the
[45:52] way down to Africa and Egypt, and they just so happened to put Joseph
[45:57] in a specific pit where the caravans go to anchipt. So even the pit
[46:06] was a purpose fire pit because there was someone on the way to pick him
[46:10] up to take him to his destiny. Can I suggest to you that the
[46:15] pit you think you are in is a holding pattern because someone is on their
[46:20] way, coming to pick you up to take you to your next step.
[46:22] That's why God says, be patient, wait on the Lord, and he
[46:28] will renew your strength, and then he says you will rise like an eagle.
[46:35] I feel God talking to somebody, some of you right now. To
[46:37] you. Frustrated, you said, I'm going into two eleven with the same
[46:42] problem. God said, no, no, No, the pit period is
[46:45] over. Here's the faiths. I receive it right now. You gotta grave
[46:52] it for yourself. You gotta grave for yourself. See, I receive it
[46:54] right now. My pit period is over. Someone can show up in your
[47:02] life in two weeks and change the rest of your life forever. I believe
[47:10] it. I believe it for myself. Lord, where's the next appointment?
[47:16] Let the caravan come and get me, take me to my next level.
[47:23] God always hides your future in people. He brings people to take you to
[47:30] the next step. Never panic in the pit, because He works out every
[47:37] step. Trust in the Lord, say it. Trust means you will trust
[47:47] him in the pit. You don't know how. Ho'ma gella. I believe
[47:52] you. Let me take what gives you pictures in the pit purpose see once
[47:58] you've seen yeah, the end, then only the end is permanent. Seelah.
[48:10] What did I say when you've seen the end? So the question what
[48:15] did you see about your business? What did you see yourself being at the
[48:20] end? Owning, controlling? That's the end. Everything else can't last.
[48:30] Give God a big thank you right there. I it can't last. Oh,
[48:37] I feel of faith rising in this room, this morning. We need
[48:39] the God of here, trusting God that our time would won't be wasted anymore.
[48:49] Let me close with this Psalm, and next week we're gonna talk about
[48:53] how this works with citizenship. Read this verse. You never saw this verse
[48:58] before in your life. Psalm thirty one or fifteen Reid, My times I
[49:05] in your hands. Come on, give God the prayer, say hall luvia.
[49:10] He said, Look, your time is your life, and I got
[49:15] your time. Let me control your time, and I'll control your life.
[49:22] He says, my times are in your hands. Next verse is what read.
[49:28] Deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me. Let your
[49:32] face, your favor, shine on your servant, save me from unfailing love.
[49:38] In love, rather, let me not put be put to shame.
[49:42] Now, this is the last part is very important. Wouldn't it be a
[49:45] shame for Joseph to tell all of his brothers he was gonna be a king
[49:50] and he died in a pit. Let me tell you what David is saying.
[49:55] David is saying, look, whatever you saw is important to God's reputation.
[50:04] I get ready to go now, I'll almost scream up by myself.
[50:08] Listen, your purpose is the part of God's pride. He won't allow you
[50:17] to fail to mess up his reputation. The Bible says, he will not
[50:22] put you in a position. May you be ashamed you make him a sham.
[50:30] So he put his your times in his hands. He's I'm gonna control
[50:35] this. Give me your times, give me your time, use your time
[50:38] for my purpose, and I'll make sure none of us are embarrassed. You
[50:43] know me. Whatever you told them, I canna make sure it becomes the
[50:46] reality. To protect yourself and protect you, repeat after me, I am
[50:55] on my way to what I saw chance and give God a big thank you.
[51:00] Right there, that's where you are. How about a scream for a
[51:06] couple of seconds right there. I want you to get this in your spirit.
[51:12] What you saw as your future is God's past. Oh man, you
[51:22] ain't got what I'm talking about. What you trying to start is already finished.
[51:29] That's the point I'm making. God already finish you, and now he
[51:31] put you to begin it. So he ain't concerned about where you're gonna get
[51:35] there. What he wants is obedience. Obedience two eleven a year of protecting
[51:47] your time. So walk in that spirit. Don't let nothing stop you,
[51:52] because here is the greatest thing to remember. First Corinthians, chapter six.
[51:57] Read aloud. Everything it's permissible for me to do, but not everything is
[52:05] beneficial. Wow. Read the next verse. Everything is permissible for me to
[52:12] do, but not everything can master my life. Read the next verse.
[52:17] Everything is permissible, but not everything it's beneficial. Everything is permissible, but
[52:25] not everything is constructive. Think about what you're reading. The Bible says you've
[52:36] got a brain on a free will. You can do anything you want this
[52:40] year, But he says not everything you do is beneficial to what you were
[52:45] born to do. What's what's the last word? And that's ss that sentence
[52:53] construction. Okay, let me tell you something. Your life is a project.
[53:02] If you got a build a house, there's certain things you need.
[53:07] That's certain things you don't need. For example, you don't need no leaf,
[53:10] No you need now leaves are good, Yeah, but when you been
[53:15] in a house, you don't need leaves. My point is everything is permissible,
[53:22] but it doesn't add to your construction. No, waste your time on
[53:30] things projects, clubs. Sometimes we joined clubs. Waste a lot of time
[53:45] time to go to the club. No, it's a kind of Red Club,
[53:46] Lions Club, the Rodary Club, or the club in a golf club,
[53:50] all these clubs. Listen, check your life. You can soon be
[53:52] dead man. And however, the folks in the club already got money.
[53:58] You ain't got nothing. You understand you may you m They spend our time,
[54:04] hours with these people, and they ain't giving you nothing. They're playing
[54:06] golf. Ain't giving you no money. You're playing golf, ain't giving you
[54:07] no money. Check your clubs. I ain't know a touch of the nerve
[54:16] there, but you all need to check. Look at the word. Is
[54:21] this constructive to my life? That's the question. My time gotta be a
[54:30] part of the project of building my life. This is the first week.
[54:38] You got a chance now to fix it. Lay some things out, put
[54:44] some boundaries in your life, lay some criteria and this. I will want
[54:47] to do this and do that. This is what I'm gonna check for because
[54:51] I ain't got time to waste time. I got a building to build,
[54:54] I got a life to construct. I have a vision to complete. I
[54:59] got something to do with my life. Anybody got that in Jesus name construction.
[55:09] So that's why we're gonna focus on citizenship. Authority. Our theme this
[55:20] year is a simple one. I want to rediscover God's authority in my life
[55:28] that I'm supposed to fulfill. That's a citizen. Are you ready? Do
[55:32] you feel ready this morning? Do you feel something coming off you? All
[55:37] right? I want to stand up on your feet. Everybody, we getting
[55:40] ready to go to Freeport to continue this discermon. Tell your neighbor, I
[55:46] hope you are not an anchor in my life. I don't want no dad
[55:51] wait in my life. Tell your neighbor, I want you to be a
[55:54] wind under my wings. And I hear an amen. If the Lord spoke
[56:01] to you this morning, and you know he heard his voice in any small
[56:05] way, lift your hands right now and begin to thank him for setting you
[56:08] free from time wastess. Worship him right now where you are, and give
[56:14] him praise for speaking to your life. All of us need to be reminded
[56:20] that our life is our time and that God wants us to use our time.
[56:24] Redeem the time. Take back your time, Repossess your life, Repossess
[56:32] your energy, Repossess your relationships, repossess your talents, give them back to
[56:43] God. I am in your prayersence, lifting holy hands to you. Here
[57:00] I am singing. Here, I mm hmmm, praise sing Jesus for the
[57:09] things he bought me through Jesus. Sing it again. Here I am in
[57:22] your presence lifting holy hands. Here, I am raising Jesus, raising Jesus
[57:44] for the things through. When I was meditating on the watch night and the
[57:59] message that the Lord spoke into my heart up a time, I said,
[58:01] Lord, what other people are supposed to do? In response, he gave
[58:07] me one word. He says, acknowledge me. Acknowledge everybody say it.
[58:15] The Bible says, acknowledge Him in all your ways, and he will give
[58:25] you up the eyes of your heart. He will direct your path this moment
[58:36] right now. That's all God wants from you. Acknowledgement means I recognize your
[58:45] total control over everything I have. I acknowledge that I need you. This
[58:57] year can be a bad year, this year can be your best year.
[59:04] It depends on what you do. So I want you to acknowledge Him this
[59:09] morning, however you wanna do that. I I envision people coming down that
[59:16] is altered this this morning, and I'm just surrendering everything back to God.
[59:23] That's what I saw. People just said, Lord. I two eleven is
[59:27] not my year, It's yours. I acknowledge you in all financial, physical,
[59:35] really relational business, every area of education, I acknowledge you. We're
[59:43] gonna sing this through one more time, and this alter and these steps are
[59:47] open for you to come. This goes from past us all the way down
[59:52] to the security gud. If you want God to take over the steps of
[59:59] your life, m one more time, acknowledge here. You know what he
[1:00:04] said to you. Just go ahead, kneel right there and ask God dake
[1:00:07] back what I took from you. Take back control of my life, and
[1:00:13] I acknowledge you today. I will not abuse my time any longer. My
[1:00:20] time is your time. Here. I am in your prayers. Come as
[1:00:29] the Lord speaks to you. Find a space on the road. You can
[1:00:34] bring your precious with you if you want to. But just come and let
[1:00:38] us be the morning of acknowledgement life, praising Jesus. Say Flord, I
[1:00:45] give you my year again for the fils in free Port. Just come down
[1:00:52] front of Neil right there in that hotel. Let the Lord take your life
[1:00:55] again. This is the morning off I'll we cry out to you. Here.
[1:01:09] I am here, I am here praising Jesus. Say all the things.
