Crowning Ignorant Kings - Dr. Myles Munroe, The Kingdom Citizenship Laws of Love and Marriage Have you ever wondered how the concept of marriage has become so misunderstood? Marriage is the most important decision you will ever make, aside from your decision for salvation. If God does not force you to accept and to choose His Son, Jesus; a choice that would determine your life and the life after. Why do we think that He would choose or force us to choose our mates? God sets the standards for us to measure ourselves and our future mates by, but it's ultimately our choice. Once we make that choice, there are also standards to regulate that relationship so that it will reflect The Kingdom of God on the earth. Come along on another journey of the Kingdom Community. [0:09] You're listening to Crowning Ignorant Kings, a podcast for citizens with like minds who
[0:15] love God, follow Christ, and have a desire to be an ambassador for
[0:20] the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. We are John and Charlene Donaldson, who
[0:25] are teachers building a Kingdom community. Thank you again for joining us. Now
[0:30] let's adjust our Crowns session. We talked about love and how love is so
[0:45] misunderstood, and I want to recommend to you that you really buy the CDs
[0:51] and the DVDs of all the sessions that you are listening to in this segment.
[0:58] Our theme this year is Kingdom Citizenship authority. That's our thing for this
[1:03] year, So we be focusing on the authority of God in all areas of
[1:08] life and how to submit to that authority. And in this interim of teaching,
[1:17] we are looking at from the beginning of February when we talked about the
[1:23] Love series, looking at the authority of the Kingdom citizen in relationships, and
[1:30] I want to focus today on this topic. This down Kingdom Citizenship Laws of
[1:38] love and marriage. The Kingdom Citizenship Laws of Love and Marriage. I want
[1:45] to focus today for a few minutes on the subject of understanding the authority of
[1:53] love in relationships like marriage. Whether you are seeing or married or divorced,
[2:04] what you're about to learn is important to you because I am convinced that love
[2:13] is the most misunderstood concept on earth. And I want you to take notes
[2:20] today for the sake of yourself, but also for your children and your grandchildren.
[2:29] In our last session, which you probably have or if you didn't get,
[2:31] if he's get the CD, I ended talking about the fact that marriage
[2:36] is the most important decision every human would make in their life, next to
[2:43] their decision to follow Christ. Marriage is a decision that's more important than buying
[2:52] a house. It's more important than buying your first car. It's important to
[2:59] un stand marriage because you can buy an expensive house and have a horrible marriage.
[3:06] A lot of people have built beautiful houses that can live in them because
[3:10] they spent more money on the house than they did on their relationship. Some
[3:16] you'll buy a brand new car, but they can't drive together to work anymore
[3:22] because they don't speak to each other, which means your car is not company
[3:27] you. Interesting to me that most people cars last longer than their marriages,
[3:36] and the reason why that is is because When you go to get a license
[3:39] to a car, the government would force you to take a test, study
[3:45] a book, and go on driving lessons, and they will make sure that
[3:49] you are qualified to drive on their streets. So to get a license to
[3:53] drive a car can take months. But if you go to that same government
[3:58] to get a marriage license, they'll give it to you in twenty seconds.
[4:03] Once you qualify, they give you a license, which means that they are
[4:09] more concerned about your car on their streets than they are about your life in
[4:15] their community. None of us goes on driving lessons for our marriages. We
[4:20] don't have a requirement by the government to read books to get married, so
[4:29] we know how to drive, but we don't know how to live with someone.
[4:33] And this is why it's tough for most people. Many of you in
[4:38] this room and the thousands watching us around the world. You are victims of
[4:44] a broken heart. Some of you have tried marriage, and you at the
[4:47] point now where you're thinking, I ain't gonna try it is no more.
[4:53] But it's amazing. When you get a car that's wrecked, you still buy
[4:56] another one. Somehow you don't mind getting another car because you know how to
[5:05] drive, but you ain't sure. You won't get another meat because you ain't
[5:11] sure if you're know how to drive that situation. And the difference between the
[5:15] two is knowledge. Write this down. Choosing a life's partner for marriage must
[5:27] not be taken without careful and preful consideration. You can't just jump into it.
[5:38] Why because nothing in scripture and nowhere in the Bible does God command us
[5:46] to be married. You don't have to be married to be happy. Marriage
[5:57] is a choice that you can make. It's not a requirement by God.
[6:08] We also mentioned in our last session that God never chooses your mate, and
[6:13] I'm so glad because God is too smart to choose your mate for you.
[6:19] God knows that if you had him choose your mate and it didn't work out,
[6:26] you could blame him. So God gives you the complete responsibility to choose
[6:32] your mate. But he does help you. He gives you a brain with
[6:36] five billion He gives you the Holy Spirit to guide you. He gives you
[6:42] His word to regulate your decisions. He gave you pass to give you good
[6:47] counsel. He gave you parents to give you sense, and he gave you
[6:55] his own anointing to desern spirits. And yet with all of that equipment,
[7:01] some of us ignore it and we still make our own decisions. I want
[7:06] to say this then, that love is not the foundation for marriage. This
[7:15] statement will cause problems. I know it will, because we normally get married
[7:19] to someone because we say we are in love. Can I suggest to you,
[7:28] please, after being married for thirty two years myself on a very very
[7:32] happy marriage, not a bad day for thirty two years, can I say
[7:38] to you that love does not make marriage work. Don't be fooled by that.
[7:49] Whether it's a feeling that you say you have for someone or an endearment
[7:56] to someone and someone tells you good things. Don't get married because you love
[8:03] someone. I love aircrafts, but I can't fly them. You can love
[8:18] something about know how to do it. So there's a love. That's the
[8:22] problem, is knowledge to function in that. Let's talk a little about love
[8:31] in this session. Love does not keep marriage together. And I believe every
[8:41] divorced person here will agree with that statement. If you are divorced today,
[8:48] that means you were once in love to the person, so you didn't lack
[8:54] love. There were some other things that came up in the relationship that were
[9:01] stronger and more powerful than the love, whether it was infidelity and faithfulness,
[9:09] whether it was abuse, physical abuse or emotional abuse or mental abuse, or
[9:16] whether it is neglect or irresponsibility. In finances, something came up that became
[9:22] more powerful than the love you had for the person, which means that love
[9:30] can save you. This is tough, isn't it, Regius down, Please,
[9:43] successful marriage is a result of the application of knowledge, not the exchange
[9:52] of love. You can be in love, young man, all you want.
[9:58] It doesn't make the woman right woman. You can express your passion to
[10:05] this man all you want, but that love for you of that man will
[10:07] make him the right man for you. And we need to get this fast
[10:13] because you see in the Book of Proveris, verse four, Chapter four,
[10:16] verse seven, it says wisdom is supreme. So get wisdom, and in
[10:22] all you're getting, don't get loved. Get what understanding. You want to
[10:28] understand what it is to be a woman, what it is to be a
[10:33] man, how to live with a human. You want to understand the idiosyncrasies
[10:37] of a female and the uniqueness of a male. You want to understand communication
[10:41] skills. You want to understand how to manage emotions and how to handle anger.
[10:45] You want to understand the dynamics of disagreements. You want to understand how
[10:50] to handle unfaithfulness, broken trust. You want to understand. Because you don't
[10:56] understand those things, you're gonna dump that marriage. Many marriages that they could
[11:01] have been saying, I'm sure of it, but the individuals didn't have the
[11:09] equipment the knowledge can use to fix the situation. No marriage is irreparable,
[11:18] believe me. But most people either don't know or they just so tired it.
[11:22] Try it, they quick. I'm believing problems can make you tired.
[11:33] This is why it's important for you to gain understanding. Unlikely, it says
[11:35] in the Book of abat Jose, or rather chapter four, one of my
[11:39] favorite persons in the Bible. It says, my people are destroyed for what
[11:45] a lack of knowledge. Now here's the part you always miss. It says,
[11:52] because you have what rejected knowledge, I will also reject you. Says
[11:56] the Lord God is saying that ignorant runs is a choice. Here's what's important
[12:03] to here about this verse. You cannot reject something that was not available.
[12:11] I know, I know they I'm human too. I know you sit there
[12:16] and get tired of me saying, go bory this book, and you sit
[12:18] there and you got hell at home, but walk past the bookstore. Do
[12:24] you know that all your problems that you're facing now are probably solved in a
[12:30] book in your house you haven't read. We reject knowledge. Have you ever
[12:41] second session like this? Have you hear this kind of teaching? And your
[12:43] first thought is, boy, he should have been here. Who they should
[12:52] have been here to year this? What you're saying is they missed it.
[12:56] They rejected opportunity to get knowledge. And God says, because you reject knowledge,
[13:01] I also got to reject you because I can't help you with what you
[13:07] don't know. And then he said something very important, he says, and
[13:11] you cannot be a priest before me. You see that the word priest means
[13:16] representative. Gods, I don't want to represent me if you are stupid,
[13:20] I don't want to know the fact you you know me, and you don't
[13:24] stop saying, perce the Lord, and you can't handle your life. You
[13:28] haven't governed the material to represent me. And they tell everybody you know me.
[13:33] He said, don't tell anybody about me, please, because you are
[13:37] messing up my reputation. And yes, the worst part. It ends with
[13:46] this, and I must also reject your children. What God has say to
[13:50] write this down. Ignorance is generational. What you don't know is transfer to
[13:58] your kids. So if you can't stay married and get it right, you
[14:05] gotta be careful because your kids may also be in danger of having the same
[14:11] problem that you have. Can you always remember this? Learn for your unborn
[14:20] children, Read a book for your unborn children, go through a seminar for
[14:28] your unborn children, because that's what it's about. The less you know,
[14:31] the less they can learn. The more you learn, the more you can
[14:37] teach them. Because when you have information, you can transfer it to your
[14:41] children. God says you need to get understanding and knowledge. Now I want
[14:52] you to write this. Put the statement down. The most misunderstood elements of
[14:58] your relationship is love. The most misunderstood elements and ignorance that we have is
[15:11] love. We don't know about love, Ladies and gentlemen, I speak as
[15:16] a servant of the Lord today with a heavy heart because we are struggling.
[15:24] Many of us are tired trying to trust people, and it's because we are
[15:31] unrealistic. We are ignorant about what love is. Let's quickly review what we
[15:37] talked about in the last session. There are four types of love in the
[15:41] Bible. One is called for leo, which means brotherly love. The second
[15:43] is called eros, which is erotic love or fleshly love or sexual love.
[15:48] And the third one is there to go and this is friendship love between two
[15:52] friends. And then there's the number four and that is a gape. That
[15:56] is the divine kind of love that God gives you. That's the kind of
[16:00] love that is not normal. It's a very important kind of love. As
[16:07] a matter of fact. That's the kind of love that forgives a person who
[16:11] commits adultery on you. You cannot get back with a person who breaks trusted
[16:18] with you with f leo. You can never make up with someone who break
[16:23] trusted you with aros. If your supouse committed adultree on you, you don't
[16:33] want to sleep in them anymore sexually, So the aross is even gone.
[16:37] You're afraid you'll probably get aids or you can't even imagine what they were with
[16:45] the other person, and so your memory and your imagination does chicks on you,
[16:48] and you can't even imagine sleeping in the bed with them anymore. Aros
[16:52] can't help you. The only way to get back after that brokenness, you
[17:00] got to go down to number four. You got to get to the point
[17:03] where you have to do what God did even while we were yet sinners.
[17:11] He died for us. That's tough love. That's not that ignores all the
[17:17] rebellion. It ignores all of the cursing of God. Because the skill of
[17:22] you, then a gopi is in the believer. It's not in the world.
[17:33] But because we don't understand it, it's tough to do it. Make
[17:37] a note of this. Please, only a goad pey makes permanent relationships possible.
[17:42] Only a GoPay. Every other relationship will be temporary. So you cannot
[17:48] really experience God's promise of marriage, which is permanent until dead to your power.
[17:53] Without God's material, which is a godpe everything else will fill you.
[18:02] Let me put it another way. Please, right just down, give you
[18:04] this stuff the other day, right just down. Love is not emotions,
[18:11] and this is a very dangerous thing because emotions are actually chemicals. Did you
[18:17] know that when you feel for someone, that's an emotional chemical reaction. And
[18:22] the problem with chemicals is they change every five seconds in your body. The
[18:29] chemicals are never stable. In other words, when your eyes look at someone,
[18:34] your eyes interpret certain things and you have a pleasant experience. You look
[18:40] at that person's face, or their lips, or their hips, or their
[18:41] breast or that man's six pack, and your eyes have a sensation and the
[18:49] residing your brain you go Now, the Agiian then kicks in and your body
[18:56] begins to produces an adrenaline prisiens, and you become excited. Now, the
[19:04] excitement you feel is adrenaline. It's not love. And you think, I'm
[19:08] excited about this person. No, you are adrenaline about this person. I'm
[19:12] the interpret that feeling as no. No, that's a chemical reaction. And
[19:22] if you fall in love on adrenaline excitement, which some people call infatuation,
[19:34] the problem is we're gonna have you look at someone else again, a different
[19:41] person, and get the same experience, and then a third one, and
[19:45] then a fourth one. What you're gonna do with the first one you looked
[19:49] at? And that's why people commit adultry. That's why folks who are engaged
[20:00] to be married still break that engagement and go with someone else because they confuse
[20:07] adrenaline with love. Love is not an emotion. Secondly, love is a
[20:17] choice. You have to choose love, and you must choose to love.
[20:23] Why. Because love is the response to understanding the value of another thing.
[20:30] When you value something, you put a certain amount of love on it or
[20:37] endearment on it. For example, if you've bought a brand new car twenty
[20:41] twelve and it cost one hundred and twelve thousand US dollars, I think you
[20:45] will want to clean them a few times. Not the way. The more
[20:49] valuable thing is to you, the more you want to treat it nicely.
[20:52] If you bought yourself a watch for fifty thousand dollars, you would probably want
[20:57] to keep that watching a different place. You keep the one you have now.
[21:02] Because the more value put on something, the more you feel indeed to
[21:06] take care of it. So love is really a response of understanding value.
[21:14] That's why God loves you. God looks at you and he sees himself.
[21:18] The Bible says you are made in God's image, So when God sees you,
[21:22] he don't see what you think. He sees himself. And God loves
[21:26] himself so much he refused to let himself go to Hell. There was a
[21:33] value he put on you by the way. Value is measured by which you're
[21:38] willing to spend for something. Right that downs can I say togain value is
[21:44] one measured by which you are willing to stand for something. In other words,
[21:51] when you pay for something, that's the value you gave it. So
[21:56] the more you pay for something, the higher the value you please stop it.
[22:00] So here's the question, would did God pay to get you? He
[22:06] paid his own image on the cross, which means that God places himself value
[22:12] on you. You are worth God. That's how you measure value. And
[22:22] so if someone really really claimed that they love you, they have a response
[22:26] to understanding your value that is measured by what they are willing to give up
[22:30] for you. God love you so much he gave up himself. Can you
[22:37] meet someone who can do that? Someone who will give up all the men
[22:42] just for you? Brother? This woman gave up all the men, all
[22:47] the men water her. But she decided choice that she can give herself to
[22:52] you only until she dies. Man. That's value choice. Because the man
[23:02] who's still water didn't leave the planet. That's important. They don't go away.
[23:07] And then she goes to work by herself. They gonna wink at her
[23:11] still, but she gotta remember I made a choice. This woman you claim
[23:22] you love, who did you cancel for her? Did you cancel her?
[23:30] You're your own mother? For her? You have to If your wife gotta
[23:36] compete with your mother, then your wife is not the most value person honor
[23:41] to you. And she feels that she want to talk to you, and
[23:48] your mother called you on the phone to see you. You got a choice.
[23:56] My advice is go with your wife. Tell your mama, ask my
[23:59] wife for permission to see me, just like that. You know why the
[24:07] Bible never says that you supposed to stay with your mother. He says leave
[24:17] your mother and father and clean to your wife. You were born to leave
[24:25] your mother. I was born, you know. Before I got married it
[24:29] was Claire. I stuffed my mom and dad and even my sisters who had
[24:33] I said, look, you know getting married, and he's amazing. You
[24:36] know, when you choose to marry somebody, you find men always like them.
[24:41] But guess what, that's your choice. Okay, you remember that that's
[24:45] your choice. You've made that choice, and I made it very cleer.
[24:51] I said, now, look, my getting married to this person doesn't bring
[24:55] two families together. If they it's a third family. I'm gonna say it
[25:02] again because you've missed this. It's very important in the Bahamas business destroying us
[25:06] right now. We keep thinking that two people bring two families together. That
[25:11] is not right because they invite into parents. Some of you are divorced today
[25:21] because of in laws who became outlaws. Come on cold, you know it's
[25:26] true, Device Flack. Yeah, they will get involved in your business.
[25:33] So you gotta remember. Look, when you get married, there there no
[25:36] two families coming together. This is the creation of a third family that is
[25:40] completely separate. And if you want to enter that family, you need pubmission.
[25:52] No one should just drop in on you. If you are married,
[25:56] including your mother or your father, you don't just drop in. This is
[26:00] a private environment. You need permission to come in here. Call me before
[26:03] your tomb because I might want you to come. These are the strong marriages.
[26:14] I'll seeing people who dropping on people walking in the house. How are
[26:17] you doing? Walk in the kitchen, opened the bark your kicks in?
[26:21] Fight Oh, fight time, ma'am. No, that's a private environment.
[26:33] Take your sense of your home. There's some mothers who need Jesus stay out
[26:47] of your children's business. I guess that's just no more. I see your
[26:56] knights coming out. Okay, rights down quick. Love is a force generated
[27:02] by a decision. Love has no feelings. You know. Wow, If
[27:10] God responded to you the way he felt about what you did to him,
[27:15] you wouldn't be redeemed today. Now this is important because see, true love
[27:25] has no feelings. It's a choice if you wait on feelings. Remember,
[27:32] our feelings are chemicals, and chemicals change in every five seconds. So if
[27:37] I love you because I feel like I love you, you might lose your
[27:41] love in five minutes. You never heard this. We fell out of love.
[27:48] We don't love each other anymore. But that means the chemicals changed.
[27:55] See the way I used to feel I look at you, you don't look
[27:59] that way no more. So I'm don't get the minute no more. You
[28:00] bigger, farther, heavier. You know you change on me after five children,
[28:03] you don't look the same. Some women are under so much pressure to
[28:15] try and keep their husband's eyes on them that the stress is causing the woman
[28:19] to get cancer. Just the stress because that man doesn't know what love is.
[28:30] He's not saying things like why don't you look like cher o? You
[28:33] put on too much rag you know you you're gonna give you. You know
[28:37] you're gonna picture ten years ago that didn't huge, and they start putting pressure
[28:40] on you. That man be beaten by me. Bring him to me.
[28:42] I will whoop him because he forgot that his stomach is now bigger than his
[28:48] chest on his head receded, and his black smell worse. Some of you
[28:53] forget that he changed to say that. Anyhow, Praise the Lord. Love
[29:02] a choice. You choose to love, make the load of this police very
[29:07] important. Love is an act of the will. That should be love.
[29:14] Love is what and after the world save with me. Love is an act
[29:18] of the will. I dare you to please write that down, because me
[29:22] keep figuring that love is some emotional contomption deep in the soul. Love is
[29:29] the act of the will. You can decide to love your enemy. If
[29:36] you don't believe me, ASTs Jesus, he said, love your enemy,
[29:41] he says, and he made a command. You obey a man command out
[29:47] of a will. Love those who hate you, he says, Love those
[29:52] who descipefully use you, Love those who pastry. How can you do that?
[29:56] It has to be a decision. That's the kind of love you need
[30:00] the marriage because the person your marriage will be an enemy. Twice a week,
[30:07] maybe twice a day. People do things in your life, your expectations,
[30:15] but you gotta decide. I still love you. If Jesus said to
[30:25] love your enemies, then the person you couldn't get along with you decided not
[30:30] to love them. Write this down. Love is a dead you owe,
[30:41] Well, that's charm. Let me read where I came from, all right?
[30:45] Because love is really a law. Laws have no feelings. What did
[30:52] I say? Laws have no feeling? Love is a law. Sometime you
[31:02] feel like running the red light because you live, but the losses stop.
[31:08] Your feeling has got nothing to do with This is low. Do you know
[31:15] that if you love your children, you were chasing them? Sometimes you feel
[31:23] for your son, so you don't live In the Bible said he that doesn't
[31:27] chasing his son hates him. You can't get your feelings in the middle of
[31:33] discipline. If you love the person and they did wrong, you discipline them.
[31:40] It has to be a will. I love you so much. I
[31:42] feel I'm not spank any but I'm gonnahoop you. Why? Because I love
[31:45] you so much, I don't want you to go this way? This is
[31:48] the wrong way to know it's love. Look at that as you are dream.
[32:00] We dream. That's as if we're gonna be like And let me make
[32:04] you up your quick John Johns to the thirteen or thirty four, everybody were
[32:09] together, read a new commandment. I give to you love one another as
[32:15] I have loved you, so that you must love one another. By this
[32:20] will all men know that you are my disciples. If you love one another.
[32:24] Look at Roman thirteen, verse eight. I want your reasons of loud
[32:28] together. Roman thirteen verse eight. It says, what let no debt remain
[32:32] outstanding except the continuing debt to love one another. For he who loves this
[32:39] fellow man has fulfilled the Lord of God. It's a death. I owe
[32:47] you to love you. Most of the time, when you owe people,
[32:53] you don't feel like damn. You don't feel like the ender. Talk to
[32:59] me when a life will come. You don't feel like paying a light bill.
[33:06] When the time to pay the marvels, you don't feel like paying the
[33:08] moment. You don't feel dead. But its use based on your integrity to
[33:15] pay the bill. That's why you love people. You're obligating. Try and
[33:23] take feelings out of your marriage base. I know this sound crazy. It's
[33:29] good to feel good, you know, for me. Just don't want to
[33:31] say that. Don't mix it up with love because it doesn't work. Let
[33:36] me show you how big this is. And John thirteen twenty four read a
[33:39] new commandment. I give unto you. What he says, love one another
[33:44] as I have loved you, so you must love one another. John fifteen
[33:47] twelve read my commandment is this, love each other as I have loved you.
[33:52] It keeps repeating it. It's a law. It's the law. I
[33:55] command it. You don't feel ideas Verse thirteen. Cradle love had no man
[34:04] than this, than a man lay on his life for his friends. Oh
[34:07] man, listen to the word. John fifteen said, you read this is
[34:08] my command that you love one another. John fourteen fifteen. He says,
[34:14] if you love me, you obey when I command you, and I just
[34:16] still love one another. He said, you love me, You will love
[34:22] people who hate you. You will do good to those who abuse you,
[34:27] who just spitefully use you. You will still on this side. I love
[34:30] you. Love's let's talk about that. Does love come from? I'm talking
[34:43] about real love, man, not a dark play. I mean not a
[34:45] stereo go And for Leona ros Heross on the word erotic, it's all that's
[34:50] sexual. Phonography is that's erotic, that's that's that's terross, that's fresh love.
[34:53] Don't get mixed of the dead. Don't ever consider sex love. They
[35:07] are never the same. If someone tells you they love you, and therefore
[35:15] you shall let them sleep with you, and of sex, that person does
[35:17] not love you. You can't include them in love. Matter of fact,
[35:22] they call sex in this society making love, making it, making it that
[35:30] means it doesn't exist. You gotta make it. Let's make love. What
[35:36] do you mean make love? That means you don't get it. That's exactly
[35:40] what they mean. And they make it for forty five seconds over and then
[35:46] they don't want to talk to you anymore for weeks. It's not love.
[35:59] Well, you wanna quiet during this series? I don't know what's going on
[36:04] making more of this. Galatians five it says the entire law is summed up
[36:08] in a single command, Love your neighbor as yourself. Galatians five twenty two.
[36:14] It says, but the fruit of the spirit as well is love.
[36:17] Love is not a gift, it is a fruit of the spirit. There's
[36:25] no gift of love in the Bible. Either it is in you by God's
[36:31] grace or you ain't get it. Now, let me say something very interesting
[36:38] here. If you are born again, that means you have the Holy Spirit.
[36:45] Is that right? Okay? That means you get the love of God.
[36:49] Then why you gotta divorce means lay wide because having the Holy Spirit is
[36:57] not equal to having knowledge. Let me give it enough. Let me try
[37:02] something, Thank you very much. Someone has to be over there. Okay,
[37:06] let me give an example. You can you can have a complete tool
[37:12] set. I can't fix your car. Understand, You've got a brand new
[37:22] tool sets to warm I mean a open yet and you have it for weeks
[37:25] and your going down and you can use nothing in there, even though you
[37:30] tell it having a love of God, it's not the same. I'm having
[37:34] the knowledge to fix stuff. That's why you need this teaching. You need
[37:38] to know how do why you use this equipment. Everybody in this room,
[37:47] everyone in this room who gotta divorce, everyone and those watching with a television.
[37:52] Everyone who got a divorce still loved the person during the time when we
[37:55] get in the divorce. I still loved them because you just can't dump the
[37:58] throue tests. The problem was they couldn't live together. That's all because there
[38:07] was so much ignorance. There was so much misunderstanding of how to use the
[38:10] tool. It makes me weep people. People would abuse or hurt someone.
[38:24] And then let's say I love you. I don't know why I did that,
[38:29] And what they're saying is I still got your guppy. I'm still full
[38:32] of the Holy Spirit, but I didn't know how to use the school.
[38:43] That's why you need knowledge. Don't get married on love that doesn't come from
[38:57] I got First John chapter seven to the fourth verse seventh. Sorry, it
[39:00] says they being together together their friends, let us work love one another,
[39:06] for love comes from God. That's number one, that word love. There's
[39:09] a God pay at got paid read on. Everyone who loves a gape has
[39:15] been born from God and they know God. Whoever does not love a gape
[39:20] does not know God because God is a god pey. He doesn't have it.
[39:27] That's why the Bible says something else about love. I love it load.
[39:30] It says whoever does not love does not work even know God. He's
[39:35] talking about a gode because God is love again, what's John for a Reid?
[39:39] God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God
[39:44] in here. This is the real love. It comes from God. Pst
[39:50] of all, you need someone and they don't know God. But they look
[39:52] good, they smell good, they dress nice, they got a good job,
[39:58] they got powerful action, the money they got, all the nice cars,
[40:01] and the riots, and the house they got the you know, the
[40:05] house behind the gate, and then oh glory God, da ya ya yeah,
[40:07] yeah, yeah yeah, But they don't have God. It says not
[40:13] listen to your friends, even those who got got up that trouble. He
[40:19] don't hope for you because someone tells you, I mean saving ain't calling up
[40:29] the kitchen to marry that all they forget news. They got a tool set,
[40:34] don't know how to use the christ thing in it. But I got
[40:36] a toolseet doesn't it I'm saying this. I got a toolset, I got
[40:39] the stuff, don't know how to use it. Now. Don't get me
[40:45] wrong, though, if you can take a chance, take a chance with
[40:50] something of a toolset for ever one's sake. Don't take a God who ain't
[40:55] got nothing just walking around cool. No God, the worst says, what
[41:01] God is not, what's just. Whoever lives in love lives in God and
[41:07] God Him. That means this person gotta be intimately comment by God. And
[41:14] even that's not enough us not enough. But at least they get their raw
[41:16] material to work with. You me explain why it's not enough. The cozy
[41:28] O get write this down because love is this. Here's what love is.
[41:31] Write it down, everyone, write down. Love is a decision to commit
[41:38] to meet another person's needs for the rest of their lives without expectation. And
[41:46] that's a high order of love. But his love. Love is a decision
[41:53] to commit to meet the needs of another person for life with our expectation.
[42:02] The whole thing is love. That's a gap play. Let me tell you
[42:07] something. If someone falls into folio with you, a friendship love that means
[42:14] as mutual agreement. You treat me nice, I treat you nice. You
[42:17] start treating me right. I stopped coming with you, So that's not a
[42:22] drad play. I steck you to behave yourself, then I'll be with you.
[42:24] That's for Leo. Ras says, you give me some, I give
[42:30] you something. I do your money. You give me sex, no money,
[42:34] no sex. So we got this, that's not got expectations there you
[42:37] see, So that's not love. Then you got stair of those stago is
[42:44] uh? You know we we are friends as long as you don't hurt me.
[42:50] So there's expectation. But a god pay is this strange kind of love?
[42:54] It has no expectation? Write this down. Love is therefore caring for
[43:00] a person now. Caring is defined as anticipating a person, anticipating a person's
[43:07] needs before they demand them, and meeting them right now. You say it
[43:13] again. Carring is to anticipate a need and need it right now. When
[43:20] you care about someone, you study what they need tomorrow and give it to
[43:27] them today. It's a too deep We tried it again. When you care,
[43:35] to care means you anticipate the need that may come into need next week
[43:42] and you meet it this week. In other wise, caring means I,
[43:46] oh, thank you, Oh this is too much. The one care then
[43:53] means that I don't even let you ask for anything, Just cary. If
[44:00] someone cares for you, they spend all their lives figuring out what you need
[44:05] next and give it to you now. Boy, would it be nice to
[44:10] mand of someone like that? People say they care for you check see what
[44:19] they anticipated you needed. Let's see if you get it. The Bible says,
[44:27] cast all your cares upon the Lord. Why, for he cared for
[44:30] you the way caring. There is a Hebrew word. It means to anticipate
[44:34] the need and meet it. It says God anticipated your need and minute before
[44:37] you even ask. You know when godship and you pray to him. Watch
[44:40] God, Now he said, pray to me for what you need. He's
[44:43] a prayer, he said, my many prayer. Remember, while you are
[44:45] speaking, I will say here I am. And while you are anyone yes
[44:50] speaking, I say here it is. In other words, even before you
[44:52] finish the sentence, let me ask you a question. Did God die for
[44:57] you after you sin? No, because that's a caring. Then God created
[45:06] you. He anticipated the possibility that you might fall. So the Bible says,
[45:10] Jesus Christ was slain before the found the world doesn't taste you fell.
[45:16] You've got to have for kring. You know. The Kingdom standard from marriage
[45:30] is interesting. The Kingdom says, if I propose to you to marry you
[45:35] as a woman, he says, I will pledge you my pro We call
[45:42] it so I we call it engagement today. So I said, I'm want
[45:47] to marry you. Okay. That means I decided to commit to meet your
[45:53] needs for the rest of your life and expect nothing from you, and I
[46:00] am going to care for you the rest of your life now, Okay.
[46:07] So I say to you, I want to marry you, And marry means
[46:10] I want to commit to meet all your needs the rest of your life,
[46:14] and I expect nothing from you in me time I care for you. So
[46:19] I go away and I buy a house before we got married. I make
[46:28] sure it has refrigerator, and wash your machine, try a iron electric store.
[46:34] I even make sure it has a maid. Oh, I doesn't dig
[46:39] now. And there's a car in the garage with your name on the license
[46:44] plate. Way marry that you know. And I got a closet. BIG's
[46:52] the house Because I know you. I got sure I can hand that three
[46:58] hundred in otherwise answer somebody. The Bible calls it a dowry. A dowry
[47:07] is caring. You go on and prepare a place, and then you come
[47:15] back and receive them unto yourself. Here you are. You won't get married,
[47:25] you don't get no money, you broke barely hanging on to a job
[47:30] selling penis and you won't marry a person, and you're living with your mother
[47:37] and you tell them I want to care for you leave them in their mother's
[47:43] house. You aren't ready to care yet. Boy, getting me back off
[47:50] that. People tell me they love you. Always remember what love? What
[47:55] is love? We don't live. What is love? Come on, load,
[47:59] we don't know. I want to get in your brain. What is
[48:00] love? The decision to commit and meet my needs for the rest of my
[48:07] life? And I said nothing, that's love. So the next time some
[48:14] guy or woman says to you, I love you, that's something. So
[48:16] that means you are going to meet my needs for the rest of my life.
[48:21] And the stet nothing from me. That relationship over. But that's what
[48:30] they are asking for. Christ didn't just save us, He keeps He supplies
[48:43] all of our needs. According to you gotta have something. If you're gonna
[48:46] take him out of the house, you gotta have something better, better,
[48:52] You gotta have something to care. H Some people are better off just staying
[49:07] single a little longer. That's the place when you're going good mm hmm,
[49:14] you're too expensive, yeah, clop cloplah. They don't understand you. The
[49:22] level of worthy man is so high you gonna get frustrated the first week.
[49:30] And I know all you women know what it is to marry a stingy man.
[49:32] Oh Lord, to marry a stingy man. He will know where every
[49:37] penny gone. You got a bed to buy a pair of shoes for three
[49:40] weeks? I think I've got. But that's what love is. I told
[49:52] you we don't understand love. Love is a high order. M So you
[50:01] take notes good and you have your conversations over coffee. If they won't take
[50:07] your for ice cream, take a notebook. Yeah, that's all about I
[50:10] scream, And that's all about this because you're me. Let me find out
[50:16] if you understand what we're getting into here, because I don't want you.
[50:20] You know, I got a good life right now, I mean and then
[50:22] lonely, you know, but I got a good life right now, So
[50:23] I don't want you to mess with my loneliness. He goes exchange your singing
[50:32] this for frustration there, No, I'm talking to man to you know,
[50:39] some men doing fire didn't marry a woman who's a parasite. She don't bring
[50:44] nothing in the relationship. Sub the lung out of this guy. He lose
[50:52] everything. Should I stuff now a dog? All right? Let me let
[51:01] me put it to write this down. Love is the manifestation of inherent nature
[51:09] of God. That's why God is love and God cares all the time.
[51:16] It's when God's a god paved flow through the human spirit. That's true love.
[51:22] Let me define a God pay for you in a practical way. You
[51:27] ready, you gotta write this down. This is how God pay is defined
[51:29] a practical way. Don't ever forget to teach it to your children and everyone.
[51:32] Get a copy of the CD Preece and BBB because this is one of
[51:36] the most important sessions you ever had. Young people, listen to this ten
[51:42] times before you wink at anyone, because you don't want to take a chance
[51:46] for your life. There are many people in you who are hurting right now,
[51:52] going through this cessity of herding. They're saying, my God, if
[51:55] I had this twenty five years ago for thirty Okay, here's what a gap
[52:05] it is. True love has no reason? But did I said true love
[52:15] has no reason? This is what love is about. True love has no
[52:20] reason. In other words, if you could find a reason why you love
[52:27] someone, you just cancel the love. I'm gonna say it again. If
[52:36] you can tell a person why you love them, the love is canceled,
[52:42] is no longer love. This is why. Nowhere in the Bible, nowhere
[52:47] on any page, does God ever tell us why he loves us. It
[52:52] doesn't exist in the Bible because the minute you give a reason no longer love,
[53:07] you know, I'm gonna get in trouble. Boy. But the next
[53:08] time someone tell you they love you, ask them why and wait for the
[53:15] answer, because the answer will be the destruction of the relationship. I guarantee
[53:20] it. Whatever the answer will destroy relationship. You don't believe me, that's
[53:30] prove it. First of all, if there is a reason, it becomes
[53:36] a condition. I love you because you got a good job, but you
[53:39] better keep that job. Breath. That's the condition, you see. I
[53:45] love you because you weigh one hundred and thirty two pounds thirty six twenty eight
[53:47] forty two. Listen, you better stay their size all your life. It's
[53:52] a condition. I love it for you. An athlete knew when all there
[53:59] was Yeah, don't you have get an accident and get trippled from the neck
[54:02] down because the love is canceled. Wherever there is a reason, there's a
[54:12] condition. All right, Step number two. Wherever there's a condition, it
[54:22] gets worse. That's an expectation. I love you because you get along here
[54:29] and listen to me. You better not cut that hair. I expect you
[54:34] to keep your here the way I like it, for the pleasure is on.
[54:37] And when you start going all the time working stuff falling out, I
[54:42] don't want to see you anymore. Because it was the ear that drop me
[54:45] with you. It's a condition. Any condition becomes an expectation, it gets
[54:52] worse. The expectation will guarantee disappointment because nothing in life remains to say you
[55:04] love a person because they you know, athletic, or they get you know,
[55:07] the cold bottle shape. Listen to me, brother, after three babies,
[55:13] I'm putting them with you. She can't keep no cold bottle. What
[55:19] you gonna do now? She looks like her mother now. And that's why
[55:27] men go running around everybody's young women. They never love you the person,
[55:30] but they love your shape. But the condition of your shape, so they
[55:37] you're looking for it again around the high schools. It's God love is the
[55:44] condition. She loved you because you get the job CEO at that company,
[55:55] and that company shuts down because the head quads is the season. Now you
[56:00] are down to zero, brother, I wonder if she's still gonna live with
[56:04] you condition she expects you to live and work there, and if it gets
[56:16] worse, expectation and disappointments will lead the divisions in relationship. Have you ever
[56:24] heard this? I didn't expect it to come to this. What they're saying
[56:31] is as a division in my expectation, you let me down. The division
[56:38] results in the worst thing in the world, divorce. By the way,
[56:44] the word division, look at it very carefully. DII means two, vision
[56:47] means one. So when you have disappointment, you under the two visions in
[56:52] the house. And Jesus said, any house division against herself cannot stand.
[56:58] Once you change and get two visions, it's over in the relationship. This
[57:07] is why love has an expectation, expecting to always make one hundred thousand dollars
[57:15] a year. You're in trouble. You better never lose their job, and
[57:22] the company in England never better close down. In the Bahamas, how to
[57:24] kill them, But you can't control that. There are so many people in
[57:35] this place who are pressuring because of expectation. I see them in the morning,
[57:43] five am jogging. Why some double husband sitting over the big belly saying
[57:51] you heard you didn't look right. She's under pressure expectation. Who do you
[58:04] think you are? You look ugly too? You get him the job,
[58:08] you fat belly. But men, forget this unrealistic expectation. And guess the
[58:16] worst part. The divorce leads to death. Now would it mean by death?
[58:22] Divorce is a death? I ask anyone who been divorced this one.
[58:25] It's a death. Something died. And it's all because of number one.
[58:37] You tell me why you love me? And I am in trouble because now
[58:43] I got a maintain which you respect. It's too much pressure. So God
[58:50] simply says, I so love you. That's it. No reason never gives
[58:57] it. I so love you. I give myself fear. That's why our
[59:07] relationships aren't working. Some of you'll think, you know that's of Miles.
[59:12] It's crazy. You know years ago I told you when I first got married,
[59:15] thay you two years ago and be he come to her. I said,
[59:16] look, I expect nothing from my wife from that nothing. And the
[59:21] day she tell you I expect nothing, she eyron my shirt yesterday I told
[59:24] her what you do? We had a room she iron in my shirt that
[59:28] said, honey, I had done, wake and ready to iron that?
[59:31] Why? Because I don't expect you to iron? So I tell her thanks.
[59:36] Every time she cooks, I tell her thanks. So why are you
[59:38] ready when I come in ready to cook? Why you expect? I think
[59:42] you prepared to do it yourself? And then someone doesn't you appreciate it?
[59:52] This is real. You're walking house there, my food woman? What are
[59:55] you talking about? He gets destroyed the relationship? Hm, she been working
[1:00:01] all day too. What's your problem? She can go on five o'clock?
[1:00:05] What's wrong with you? Get pressure on these people? Man? Listen,
[1:00:15] If you love someone, you anticipated me. Why didn't you bring food home,
[1:00:20] a ready cook for her? Why did you buy something for her?
[1:00:22] Anticipate she's tired too? Lord Macy helped me, guck. Why don't you
[1:00:31] blow home early and let them meet you? Cooking already? Blow from mind?
[1:00:37] So I anticipated you'd be tired, baby, and I cook filling me
[1:00:40] on with baked potatas with some sparatters on the side, with cheese on the
[1:00:45] top of the I know you've been hungry. That's love walking down here my
[1:00:53] food, your food. I wake up, get out of bed and make
[1:01:05] the bed. Or I said, what you're doing? I said, I
[1:01:08] slept in this bed, so the You don't say, I know, but
[1:01:15] I expect to do it. I'd expect you to do this. That's why
[1:01:22] we are so close. That's why everybody told it so much. Because there's
[1:01:24] no reason for my love. You're gonna get rid of it, conditions destroyed.
[1:01:42] I don't know why I love. We gave it a final thought here
[1:01:49] next to we can pick up here. Number eight. The death of a
[1:01:52] marriage goes deeper. It creates dysfunctional families. Kids were out two pairs in
[1:02:00] the same house, so the kids grow up now with a defect and usually
[1:02:05] a divorced parent. Where would breed a divorced child who also gets a divorce.
[1:02:12] In other words, Number one destroys society. That's how deep that is.
[1:02:19] When you find reason for your love, you are destroying the Bahamas because
[1:02:23] you are creating criminals, potential broken homes, broken hearts, just by the
[1:02:30] decision to have a reason for loving a person. It goes all the way
[1:02:35] to the social decay in the country. Save Loah, we don't understand now.
[1:02:46] It ain't kissing and hugging and touching nobody's body parts. Love is so
[1:02:52] deep we are still in errors. You need to go to the kingdom level
[1:03:00] and number ten. Social decay results in community destruction. You want to destroy
[1:03:08] a community, find a reason for your love. So your relationship is personal,
[1:03:20] but if never private, it affects all of us. All of us.
[1:03:29] Some of you in this room. Your parents going to divorce, and
[1:03:31] you were fourteen or maybe twelve, and you are still trying to recover mentally.
[1:03:38] You live between two houses. You make an appointments to see your parent.
[1:03:43] I mean, this is not easy. It's psychological issues going on here
[1:03:46] that people don't understand. I found a young lady the other day up in
[1:03:53] New Jersey. She said, that's some miles. I just want to see
[1:03:57] my daddy. I just want to see you. I understand what she was
[1:04:01] saying. He said, days in California on the West Coast, I just
[1:04:06] want to see it. I'm at the age of my life now that I
[1:04:10] need to hear father talk to me. She said. I guess some decisions
[1:04:15] to make and I needed daddy. I just I just held him she was
[1:04:19] twenty two. Socioull this Fulton. Look, I know that many conditions in
[1:04:33] this room, but I'm dealing with the hope part. Let the twit should
[1:04:40] be better than the present. You are not married, learn this lesson today.
[1:04:47] If you have been married and you can't get married again, to learn
[1:04:50] this lesson today, go into a relationship with so briety. I ask God
[1:04:58] to give you wisdom and decisions, even though they might be hard decisions.
[1:05:02] Break off some relationship that ain't you know they are right, Break it off
[1:05:04] now because you on your way to destruction. Some of you got some friends
[1:05:11] you involved with right now talking about you plan to get married. You better
[1:05:14] take this session to them and said, let me check you out closely,
[1:05:18] because my life is too important to walk around with a broken heart the rest
[1:05:21] of my life and bringing them next week. Bring all of them who you
[1:05:29] know to the session next week. Collect them up from them. We need
[1:05:32] sense. Let's go get some sense because we are destroying our country because we
[1:05:39] don't understand. You know, you love this name. You put no condition
[1:05:45] on him. He may get fired in the morning or get laid off,
[1:05:50] and he comes home with a pink sliff Man what you're going to do.
[1:05:56] And he tells you, we got to move back in an apartment. We
[1:05:59] gotta give this house. Do you still love them or do you attack him
[1:06:05] your failure. I should have never married in the first place. Women,
[1:06:11] you need Jesus kay. Do you expectations create the problems? I love you
[1:06:30] if you get nothing, I love you if you get something. What love
[1:06:39] is this? That's the love that works. Let them love Michell, burn
[1:06:47] your heart and Holy Spirit. Let me close in the verse real or love.
[1:06:50] Please. When you make a vow to God, do not delay to
[1:06:56] fulfill it. You come down that ale in your white dress, and you
[1:07:03] stand there with your taxedo in your black suit, and you stand before God
[1:07:10] and you start opening your mouth. Here's what God says. When you make
[1:07:15] a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. Because God has
[1:07:19] no pleasure in fools. He calls you a foolish person. If you stand
[1:07:26] this, say I love you. Tell God, do I path and you
[1:07:29] don't know what you're talking about. You make a vow, he says,
[1:07:34] and you don't fulfill it. I have no pleasure in fools, so fulfill
[1:07:41] your vow. He says. It is better not to vow for its five
[1:07:47] that you make a vowel and not fulfill it. Do not let your mouth,
[1:07:55] it says, do what lead you into sin? Don't rush to the
[1:08:01] alder by the way. The most important statement in that verse is God is
[1:08:08] God. You never make vows to people. You make promises to people.
[1:08:18] Vows only made to God. What you're telling God is if I don't take
[1:08:25] this, you can judge me. It's different from a promise. You can
[1:08:31] break a promise, but you can't break a vow because a vow attracts judgment.
[1:08:41] He says, do not protest to the temple messenger and say my vow
[1:08:47] was a mistake. You never heard that I made a mistake in you,
[1:08:53] because you should never come to this house and say that it's going to me.
[1:08:58] These are verses you never saw. H I made a mistake. Why
[1:09:05] should God be so angry at what you say and destroy the work of your
[1:09:09] hands? Must dreaming of many words? A meaning peace? Are you dreaming?
[1:09:13] Man? I love you all right? I'm the sickstun in hell?
[1:09:21] What is this again? Poverly in the Milt Richard for Paula, Yeah,
[1:09:28] but you don't mean that many words? You both had gone. Rich is
[1:09:32] good. Power an't gone. We we we we made dolls. Gods,
[1:09:39] what are you doing? You've given this to me, these words you put
[1:09:43] in my hands. You're giving me the power to judge you. This isn't
[1:09:47] no preacher, this is to me. Slow down, take your time.
[1:10:01] Think at the last five. He says. Therefore, stand in awe of
[1:10:05] God. That means, don't rush to my church with no bride dress,
[1:10:11] don't buy nor to see her too fast, and give five minutes stammage with
[1:10:13] bow tie snow down, he says, Here standing ben, feel on God,
[1:10:18] be afraid to come down to the Dialand our problem is we ain't afraid
[1:10:23] no more. If it doesn't work, I guess I get another one.
[1:10:26] Let me go down here and try this one. And you keep changing people
[1:10:30] and don't buy it? Do it? Everyone doing it. It's like people
[1:10:32] think this is the game causes look be afraid of me because I would judge
[1:10:38] you, my God. I'm mercy almost. I want you just write this
[1:10:48] down. Promises are made to humans and can be broken. I love you,
[1:10:57] You're the only one I love. That's a promise. Don't trust that.
[1:11:04] They need to say that to God. Then they are the judgment.
[1:11:14] Promises have no consequences. Vows he consequences. That is why when you make
[1:11:21] a vow before the altar. Have you noticed here's what you're saying. I
[1:11:26] promise to love you, to care for you in citizens and health and Richard's
[1:11:31] and poor overty. Watch this and till death. That death is the judgment
[1:11:38] you're telling God. If I don't keep this, you could kill me.
[1:11:43] It has an inherent judgment in it. Promises don't. An engagement is a
[1:11:54] promise, a marriage, a wedding is a vow. You can break off
[1:12:00] an engagement without consequences before God, but you can't break off a bomb.
[1:12:10] God the judge you. They're folks in it from who are who experienced them
[1:12:14] being in the judgment? They know it feels they break the bowl. They
[1:12:17] suffer some things, some death in their spirit, death in their emotions.
[1:12:21] They hurt so deep no one can explain to hurt. That's judgment. So
[1:12:30] if you married, Paul says, stay married, fight for it, try
[1:12:33] your best to put it back together. You don't want the judgment on you.
[1:12:40] Then divorced. Find God for this session. Go buy the CD,
[1:12:44] listen to it ten times, and the very way they wake. You tell
[1:12:46] them listening to this too fourteen times because I ain't going twice in the wrong
[1:12:53] direction now. The first time shame on me. Second time, shame on
[1:12:57] you. No, first time, shame on you. That's it. Second
[1:13:00] guys, share because that I get from twice. It's gonna gotta work.
[1:13:05] Man. You got sense, not you know what to do, got your
